Brunch restaurant
Cantina Del Centro in Nelson is a vibrant restaurant that offers a variety of Mexican and Latin American dishes, complemented by an extensive selection of over 70 tequilas. The lively atmosphere, detailed hanging lights, and eclectic paintings create a fun vibe that keeps patrons happy and satisfied. The menu features scrumptious in-season tacos, tortas, and cocktails, including options like moist braised lamb and panko crusted avocado vegetarian tacos.
The food was delicious, probably the best burrito bowl I've ever had, it was super fresh! Staff was nice but a little inattentive with ordering and refills so it made the minimum tip option on the machine 18% seem a little too high. Generally a good experience and would recommend others to try
Tayleigh — Google review
Went in for brunch. Was really happy with the flavours and presentation. I had the bacon and avo eggs Benny, which was delicious. Was also really happy that I could try their tacos at brunch. I had the Argentine and Al Pastor and both were amazing, but the Al Pastor really stood out. Will definitely be back when I'm in Nelson again!

🌮 Had the best Mexican food ever — in Nelson, of all places! Seriously!! 🤯🇲🇽 Started with crispy in-house tortilla chips + three dips: 🥑 Guacamole 🍅 Pico de Gallo 🥣 Frijole dip You could taste the difference. 🔥 Main course: chicken enchiladas with both salsa verde & salsa roja, served with refried beans and Mexican rice 🌯🍚. Unbelievably tasty. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ole!! 💃✨ #NelsonEats #MexicanMagic #FoodieParadise #FiveStarFlavour

Absolutely amazing tacos and maybe the best breakfast burrito we’ve ever had. The shrimp tacos were amazing too.
Aaron S — Google review
Good Mexican restaurant also popular with the local population and for take out as wel. Friendly staff, secluded tables and nice atmosphere. Good menu, we tried the mi burger es su burger and the chicken tinga quesadilla which both were delicious. Would fully recommend eating at this restaurant.
Leo B — Google review
Left two messages early in the day for a reservation but they never got back to us. We decided to go regardless and the restaurant wasn’t that busy, so we got a table right away. A return call would be have been appreciated. Five of us enjoyed dinner, sitting in a comfy booth in the back of the restaurant. The both design made it a bit hard to have a conversation with the two sitting at the ends, but it was good option for the five of us. I ordered 3 tacos, chicken, shrimp and fish. Was delicious. Portions are relatively small, so had room for the queso cheese to share, which was also delicious.

Stopped for a mid day snack. Baja fish taco was perfect. Accompanied with 3 salsas. Sat on the patio. Service was good. Mid day DJ. A goto if visiting.

Italian restaurant
Pizza restaurant
Wine bar
Marzano is a restaurant that pays homage to the quality and authenticity of Naples, Italy. The cooks are trained by renowned pizzaiolas, ensuring an authentic taste with every bite of pizza. The ambiance is modern yet classy, with ample natural light streaming in through multiple windows. Established in September 2018, Marzano's staff trained under pizzaiolo Enzo Coccia in Naples to perfect their pizza dough.
Marzano is my favourite restaurant in the world right now and has been for six months. I ate through the whole menu a few times and keep trying the new things when it changes. I have been to many many many more restaurants too in many cities but keep returning to Marzano whenever I can. Love the authentic and delicious wood oven pizza with neat, fresh, and fantastic ingredients. The brunches are wildly tasty 😋. The drinks are always great - highly recommend the Marzano Caesar with choice of vodka, gin, or tequila. I always get all the sorbet flavours each time if I have time and space because they are always so so good and time-limited. Plenty of parking across the street in the Best Western lot. They are owned by the same folks. Let the Best Western folks next to Marzano’s know you parked there but it’s generally no problem anyway. All the staff always tell me they love working here. Many have been there for years. The owners and management seem wonderful - and it shows in the vibe and the food.

One of the best Italian restaurants I have dined at in a long time! Great service and menu selection. This is not your typical Italian experience, very creative options. We went multiple times for lunch, happy hour and dinner. We tried the pizzas, unique & delicious. I really enjoyed the spaghetti and meatball (LARGE!!!). I highly recommend this place if visiting Nelson BC.
Shane B — Google review
We had a truly fantastic meal at this Italian restaurant. The food was outstanding, offering creative and innovative takes on Italian cuisine rather than the standard dishes you find everywhere else. Each plate was thoughtfully prepared with fresh ingredients and a great balance of flavors. The pizzas in particular were a standout—thin, crisp crust with inventive toppings that worked beautifully together. Service was attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable without being intrusive. The restaurant itself has a warm, inviting atmosphere that matches the quality of the food. Overall, this is a place that delivers both authenticity and originality, perfect for anyone looking to enjoy Italian dining with a fresh twist. I would highly recommend eating here.
Vic — Google review
The food and atmosphere is a 10 out of 10… the service however was really disappointing. It was no one in the restaurant and our waitress ignored us the entire time. We have to wave to get her attention to give us the bill. Overall the pizza was absolutely amazing. One of the best I’ve ever had. Definitely going back again.
Lily B — Google review
This place was recommended both online and at our air bnb. We had the chicken pizza and spaghetti and meatballs. Both were amazing dishes. We sat at the pizza counter which was entertaining for the kids, the chefs were great company also. All the staff and our server were fantastic. I Would definitely come back if we are in the area.
Sarah H — Google review
Beautiful restaurant. My wife is very particular about her pizza and prefers Italian style wood oven. Marzano's was just the right place. We ordered pickup for a margarita and pepperoni pizza, and both looked and tasted great. Highly recommended.
Thomas V — Google review
4.5 overall. Great food and great service. Gets very busy here and would highly recommend making reservations. Would highly recommend the pasta or risotto . The serving size is just right. Limited patio space in the summer time also. Worthwhile coming here to have some great Italian food.

Went in for some pizza when visiting Nelson. Was so happy with the quality. The crust was thin, but not soggy, perfect chew! We had the prosciutto and funghi pies and both were delicious. Will definitely come back next time we're in town. Highly recommended!

Louie's Steakhouse, nestled within The Adventure Hotel, offers a delightful dining experience that combines upscale North American cuisine with a stylish ambiance. Guests rave about the exceptional quality of the steaks, which are cooked to perfection and allow the natural flavors of the meat to shine without overwhelming sauces. Diners have praised both ribeye and fillet options for their remarkable taste and tenderness. Even simple sides like mashed potatoes stand out as some of the best around.
I stayed at a hotel and dined at their exceptional Restaurant. The atmosphere is really good—clean, spacious, and with a vast selection of drinks. Starting with a creamy and delicious prawn dish, followed by delightful pasta and a great-tasting lobster tail, although the portions on the lobster were a bit small. Justine, our server, was incredibly friendly. The service was impressively fast. I definitely plan on returning.
Manav B — Google review
We had an amazing dinner, everything we ordered was delicious. The service outstanding, the staff was super friendly and nice. So helpful as they gave us plenty of recommendations about Nelson. Would definitely come back! The mushroom risotto was so good!
Susana D — Google review
All in all, very friendly staff, food was great. The kitchen also feeds a pub so there was a fairly long wait time for main dishes, but apps came fast. The quality of the food made it all ok, and the waitress was impressive not having to write a single thing down for a table of 4. Not a large place but cute, has a patio on the main strip of town.
Breanne H — Google review
Haven't had food this good in months maybe even years down in the states. Have had problems with cheap and expensive restaurants every time I dine out. Here two nights in a row were perfect and went above our expectations. 3 meals both nights, perfect quality, steak was done to our request, amazing taste, one of the best steaks I've ever had. Mashed potatoes, even though it's a simple dish, were amazing, also some of the best I've ever had easily topping all other places. Servers and who I suspect to be a manager or maybe even the owner were awesome, very friendly, didn't miss a single thing at all both nights. I'm not usually up for talking while eating, but both nights we had great conversations. Overall everything was amazing, not a single complaint, props to the small town steakhouse! Was not expecting such amazing service and food when we can't even get a decent meal in our big city!
Caden S — Google review
Loved this place! Had an amazing server, food was great (took a little while cause they didn’t have many steak chefs on hand) but tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend!
Bella K — Google review
We came here for dinner and the food was great. The service was friendly although a little delayed.
Wilson L — Google review
One of the best steakhouses we have ever visited. Steaks were superb, cooked perfectly to order, (We love ours rare, but they also offer blue, they really know what they are doing) I had ribeye, she had fillet, and they don't dump a bunch of sauces on them, you taste the outstanding meat. Remarkably, the accompanying veggies, practically useless throw-aways at a lot of restaurants, were delicious in their own rights. Absolutely will return next time in Nelson.
Terry L — Google review
We went for a 60th birthday dinner with my husband. Had the risotto for an appetizer. It was so over done with garlic that we could no longer taste our wine. The pasta was cooked perfectly. However, being that the risotto was so heavy with garlic i could not taste it very well. My husband's steak was under done and charcoal on the outside. As if it was flash grilled. All he could taste was burnt steak. The service was amazing All of the ladies were great except when we were paying. I asked why when we make a reservation they ask if it is for a special occasion. As there was nothing offered for the occasion. The server told us that she did not take the reservation. I let her know we booked it online. Then she responded that she did not seat us or otherwise they may have acknowledged my husband's birthday. That was the topping to a very disappointing experience. The kitchen definitely let us down.

First time here and this place a little of everything. From decadent desserts to Burgers and bagels. They have pizza are smoothies in a nice coffee bar. My friend that lives in Nelson took me here for lunch and I chose the pickle pizza and if you've never had it this is the best pickle pizza I've ever had in my life period she goes to vegetarian burger.

Grabbed a loaf of sour dough. Each day they have a different group of breads on the rack. Offer to slice it at the location was a great option. We only grabbed bread but there was a display of beautiful baked items and options for coffee. Friendly and warm with a few tables to sit.
Meaghan G — Google review
I ordered the apple pie from this bakery and was really excited to try it.I love supporting local. I am only visiting from out of town. Unfortunately, I didn’t love that the apple slices still had their peels on. It affected the texture and made it less enjoyable for me and everyone I shared the pie with. The flavor was okay, but I personally prefer a smoother, peel-free filling. The peels ended up being less cooked then the apple. Which ended up being a very chewy, rubbery texture. I understand that everyone has there own way of doing somthing. Would have loved to know that before paying 21 bucks for it. Won't go back.
Stephanie B — Google review
Customer delight is so rare and the woman who runs this place joyfully celebrates this with every greeting, offering, and connection point. When was the last time a retailer asked you “Can I make you breakfast?” Incredible experience and yummy treats! I highly recommend going early in the morning for freshly made croissants and donuts!
Jacyn S — Google review
I was really excited about this place and had heard good things, but I was more than disappointed. I asked the lady if they made iced lattes, and if they had any flavors available (which i thought was pretty straightforward) she said the only flavor they had was a special blueberry latte, and I said I would try it. Its visually very beautiful but its a very off-putting taste and texture (slightly chalky?) So I apologized and was going to leave it behind and leave, and another lady offered to make me another one. I told her that I wanted a flavored iced latte, and she told me that this blueberry thing wasn't a true latte. There was no coffee in it. I explained what I had asked for and she said they have a vanilla iced latte. (Yay! Perfect) so I waited and they made me another drink. Unfortunately, the latte was also not great. No vanilla, no sweetness at all. At this point I had been there for about 15 minutes so I just put it on the counter and left. I would have gone back and gotten some of their baked goods because those looked incredible, but the whole experience just left a bad taste in my mouth (literally!) I wouldn't be back for a $6 beverage, that much I know.
Sarah — Google review
Very good selection and great staff. We enjoyed the healthy lunch here, but parking can be a bit of challenge. The cutlery was not clean.
Sean V — Google review
We had breakfast in the cafe and lunch to go the next day. There are a multitude of choices! We tried the BLT (nice and simple!) and Heuvos Rancheros which was delicious. We also tried cookies, croissants and lemon tarts during other visits and they were delicious too. It’s busy so be prepared to wait a couple of minutes but they had lots of staff to make the line move.

My friends and I had a wonderful lunch. The rose pasta was delicious and we enjoyed the poppers as well. My friend’s mocktail was the best among all the drinks we ordered. Overall, it was a pleasant lunch. Our server was attentive too by the way. She would often check on us to see if we needed anything. We’ll definitely come back!

You know it's gonna be good when it kicks off with something that looks this amazing. One bite in and you're hooked. The nacho chips are legit tasty on their own, and it only gets better the more you eat. The Mangoloma drink was on point too—just the right mix of tart and sweet, makes you wanna keep sipping! Nothing like their patio to end a hectic workday right!!

I visited rel-ish the other day on a sunny afternoon. I opted to be seated inside. The server accommodated me immediately. I ordered the Iced Mocha and the Stuffed Shrimp. Great presentation, the serving was enough and the flavor was well balanced! The sweet soy really complemented the shrimp! ✨ The coffee was nice too, you can taste both the chocolate and the coffee. After I finished my first order, I wanted to try the Mai Tai. I asked the bartender if he could lower the alcohol content for me, and it was amazing that the taste of the Mai Tai was not jeopardized with the change of recipe. It was still amazing! Overall, the experience was great. Very accommodating. Would definitely come back! ✨ 💯

The birria sandwich was amazing! I also cant highly recommend the Cajun fries enough! I also ordered an iced oat milk cinnamon latte and it was, I kid you not, the best coffee I had in all of nelson, The staff member that served us was also super nice! I cant wait to come back!

I was actually quite blown away with my meal from here! I never have high expectations for a vegan breakfast but the garden skillet was delicious. Nice breakfast/brunch/lunch cafe. The food wasn't haute cuisine or anything, but it was tasty and homey. It's more of a classic diner, which was what I was looking for. Service was friendly and fast. I'd go there again.

Delightful, casual, local cafe with history in the area. Charlie & Daylen served us the featured sandwich (breakfast burrito) & our coffees. We probably could have shared the burrito it’s so hearty & big! Come with an appetite. They serve no.6 coffee (also a locally brewed brand) and feature a local artist on a gallery wall. A great spot for a Baker Street hang. I even stuck around to get some work done after my lunch meeting.

We were looking for a place to get a good coffee and breakfast over the weekend, and boy were we happy to find l&c! The food was amazing, the coffee was perfect and the service and atmosphere was wonderful. It took us being back to Europe in lovely little cafes. They were such creative pastries but tasted amazing, and were so affordably priced! We would recommend the slice of quiche, chocolate almond croissants, mango cheesecake and the breakfast sandwiches. The barista even did the cutest thing with my pumpkin spiced latte! We will absolutely recommend this place to everyone!

Such a gem. Amazing fresh baked goodies, including real deal French croissants, macarons, and other franco-inspired treats. Great atmosphere too inside or out. Don't miss their Baker St location for take out too. Although the prices are a touch higher than you'd find in France, the quality is just as good!
John B — Google review
I tried this cafe for the first time and only bought an iced latte, so my rating applies only to that. The latte was good but not exceptional in my own personal opinion. It just didn’t stand out as some other places (I bought 3 iced lattes from 3 different cafes just today. I’m on a latte binge 😆). This past week I’ve visited around 15 different cafes to try their lattes 😁. Last year I travelled to Europe for 2 months, visiting 15 countries, driving 17,000 kms and visiting 2-4 different (high-rated) cafes every day. You do the math. So I do have some experience with Espresso coffees and few are actually exceptional

Dairy Queen (Treat) is a classic fast-food chain known for its soft-serve ice cream and signature shakes. Despite long lines, the service at Nelson Dairy Queen was efficient and impressively fast, with the staff managing the crowd while prioritizing customer satisfaction. The vintage-style Dairy Queen in Nelson is a must-visit during the summer months, offering only ice cream in a walk-up setting.
I tried Sundaes hot fudge and it's really really good in test and also good in quantity. Must try place in Nelson, BC if you like the ice-creams and other dairy products.
Samir P — Google review
I ate the same product ten times and was satisfied with all of them. I ordered again today and the glass was half empty and they didn't even put half of the ice cream. I informed the employee about this. Her answer to me was: You were lucky in the previous meals you ate. Yes, she gave this answer. In other words, if we are lucky that day when we buy a product from you, they fill the bowl. If we are unlucky, we get less ice cream. What does this mean, there are no standards at Dairy Queen. I will reflect this issue on social media with product photos. Shopping location: Nelson BC Canada The black-haired employee working at Nelson BC made fun of me and slammed the glass in my face. This is very rude behavior and I will definitely not shop there again.

Uzually there's quite a line-up but not today. There was only 2 people in front of me. I got my banana split exactly the way I like it pretty quickly. It was awesome as usual! Quick update... I was there again recently & they have an Apple Pie Blizzard that is so very delicious, I am definitely going again asap & as many more times as I can before they shut down for winter!

This place is AWESOME! By far coolest thing I have seen in the province and truly one of a kind, visited Nelson this summer and stopping in at this vintage style Dairy Queen made our vista worth while! I strongly suggest people to check this out when travelling in the kootenays in the summer!!!

Gina's Gelato is a charming store that offers a delightful fairy tale experience. The vintage atmosphere and classical melodies from the 1920s transport customers to the streets of Florence. With an array of homemade gelatos, this place guarantees something for everyone. Gina, known as the Canadian princess, exudes politeness and humility. Her joy is evident when people sample her ice cream creations, which she describes with utmost passion and detail.
I am one of Gina’s number one fan! Can’t you tell? I have more pictures of Gina’s gelato, cookies, brownies, store!! If people from other places would ask me what to visit, would always recommend Gina’s may it be, family, friends, colleagues, even strangers! Gelatos are AMAZING! If gelatos don’t contain lots of kcal I would eat them non stop!!! I have been going to Gina’s when it was a baby store. Probably January of 2021 was my first visit, they were still serving their gelatos in a small paper cup and are probably selling 8-10 flavors(?) gina was the only one serving and making gelato. It was me and my friends from college getting a scoop even if it was winter 😅 we chatted and from there we were like her regulars. i think I had their stratciatella, it is TO DIE FOR!! I had a cookie as well, oh the COOKIE!! It was still the same CRUNCHY YET SOFT CHUNKIE FULL OF CHOCOLATEY COOKIE WHEN I LAST GOT THEM!! then little by little they expanded, they had cheesecake gelatos, brownies, they also had these beer flavored gelato one time and it was DELICIOUS!! Okay, okay, back to my review.. through the years, as the store was getting more and more famous, Gina was getting busy, she hired servers who can help her with the production! Kudos to all of you! Now that I moved to different city, i miss gina. her gelato, and THE COOKIE (will be buying dozens when i visit!) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ p.s. saw the La Rous Patisserie, but they were closed. will come back again to check it out next time. 🤗

This place is a gem! Delicious house-made gelato and a fun, clean, classy, European vibe. The matcha flavour is my favorite so far. My only request: try doing an avocado flavour! :)

It was hard to find because the signage blends in. Locally made so that was amazing. They let you taste before you buy. At first I had the 'almost keylime' It was not for me. Later switched to an autumn one which was yummy.

The variety of flavors is incredible What truly sets this place apart, though, is the service. The staff are super friendly, patient, and happy to offer samples to help you find your perfect flavor ,can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do, which makes the experience even sweeter. Glacey was exceptional.

5/5 🌟 This gelato place is a must-visit in Nelson, offering delicious, handcrafted gelato with a variety of classic and creative flavors that it will confused you what flavour to get 🤣 The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is cozy, and the portions are generous—all at a fair price. A perfect spot for a sweet treat!

The best place in Nelson (music, furniture, lights, everything is impecable) for enjoying the perfect gelato or sorbetto! Here you are not going to have any doubt of what flavour could try, because you can have a small taste of them before and also the servers are going to give you a story of each one. It's a fabulous place with amazing flavours and a five star attention for the servers.

Gina’s Gelato is the absolute best! Everything here is hand made with local ingredients with love and it shows! The staff are so friendly and helpful and especially patient. They encourage taste testing of the flavors before you order to make sure you get the perfect dessert. Just go, you won’t regret it!

A great place to come hangout on a nice summer day with friends! The raspberry sorbetto is amazing as is everything else, but the raspberry hits the spot every time! Came here with family recently and they all loved it. Definitely recommend!

Big Dee's is an ice cream shop with a stunning design and picturesque surroundings. The decor, including the unique melting ice cream effect on the wall, and attention to detail make it stand out as an exceptional establishment. The flavors of their ice cream, particularly the Birthday Cake and double Cookies n' Cream, are absolutely delicious. The ice cream melts in your mouth, creating a delightful experience.
Some of the best hotdogs and milkshakes ever! Their milkshakes are very decent size (two big scoops) so make sure you are not too full! Great staff and awesome patio to enjoy the weather. Lots of free parking in the residential area behind at the top of the hill.
Sean V — Google review
Very yummy ice cream. Open pretty late compared to other places in town so it was nice to have this option for dessert. We both got ice cream which we enjoyed on their patio. I liked the interior decor, very creative and colourful. Will come back again.
Becky B — Google review
Walked into an amazing atmosphere cool music playing on the loudspeaker and the vibe. I don’t have any words to explain the vibe. It was just fantastic. And the ice cream was delicious smiles on my face as I walk out.

Wonderful customer service. I had the Rose Mango vegan ice cream, it was very nice tasting, I could really taste the mango. I will come back when I'm town.
Lisa — Google review
I highly recommend this place! Especially if you like high quality ice cream. I got the birthday cake cookie dough & pumpkin pie ice cream in a waffle cone. It was delicious!
Rayne T — Google review
Great customer service! I did not enjoy the first ice cream flavor so she kindly gave me a new cone and ice cream scoop for free. I will definitely be going there again not just for the delicious ice cream but for the genuine kindness too!
Nicole T — Google review
Good place to go for a quick bite or an ice cream. The food is good tasting but rather on the expensive side at $15 for a gourmet wiener. It is all locally sourced so that contributes to the price. I would recommend trying it for yourself, I will be going back from time to time.
Andrew P — Google review
"I like Big Dee' and I can not lie" omg...just go try the sour Watermelon and birthday cake ice cream. I did a combo on a waffle cone and well it's awsome. I bought some macaroons for the road..and I can go home satisfied.. lol!.. cute place, cool flavors, yummy food, great service. 💛
