The location is very nice and comfortable. Also the staff is very kind and ready to serve you. The toilets are clean, BUT, for my taste, the coffee was below average. It was really dark roasted and the extraction was not good. And I REPEAT: just for my taste only. Other than that, everything is good and I recommed this location for a afternoon out în the city.

We chose to sit at a table, and before doing so, I asked a staff member if we could sit there, and he said yes. But just as we were about to sit down, another staff member came over and placed a "Reserved" sign on the table without saying a word. It felt very rude, as he didn’t even apologize .We moved to another table and stayed for two hours — and that original table remained empty the entire time! No one ever came to use it!!!!! I’d like to clarify a few things from my perspective as a customer. I believe I have the right to choose a table where I feel comfortable and can enjoy my time — especially after asking a staff member for permission and being told it's okay to sit there. What felt wrong was not that the table was reserved, but the way the situation was handled. Without any explanation or apology, another staff member came and silently placed a "Reserved" sign on the table we were about to sit at. That felt quite disrespectful and unprofessional. I truly hope this feedback is taken in the spirit of improvement. A little more communication and kindness can go a long way in making guests feel valued.

This café right in the city center has great options for anyone and knows what veganism is and does an amazing job at making vegans feel included. From several plant milk options for coffee (soy, oat, almond), to vegan waffles with ice cream and whipped cream to savory Flammkuchen, they have it all - making it perfect to go there for anyone 🧇 They also have changing vegan cakes and pies (3 when I was there), seasonal dishes (such as gazpacho, bowls etc.) and more. Their coffee is tasty, their homemade ice tea and lemonades are even better! Can definitely recommend to check it out ☕️ Plus: their staff is very friendly and attentive.

On my travels I always try to find places with vegan desserts. I found this cozy coffee shop in Kassel. The Belgian waffle was Vegan, plus vegan whipped cream. Thank you for doing this for many people who have problems with regular food. Really appreciate it. The atmosphere in the coffee shop is great.

It has one of the best coffees in Kassel, and it also has a really nice selection of salty and sweet options. It became my scape place in the rainy days! 100% Recommended!

We had to wait a long time for one of the dishes, and by the time it arrived, everyone else at the table had already finished eating. When we asked about it, they told us they had run out of one of the ingredients and asked if it was okay to serve it without it. Even then, it took another 40 minutes for the dish to arrive. At that point, I had already asked for it to go, and they handed it to me in a pizza box with no utensils or anything. In the end, we waited over an hour just for an omelette. On top of that, I had ordered a brownie but was given a cheesecake instead. When I asked about it, they insisted that was what I had ordered, which was clearly not the case. Very slow service, and it’s clear they don’t care about their customers.

The atmosphere in this establishment is simply incredible. But the portions have become smaller than before. The pieces are so small, they are almost crumbs. The staff is good, but sometimes not attentive, although this is not a big problem, because in general they are nice people. Drinking coffee and eating a cake, here will cost approx 10€.

I'm currently moving to Kassel from Berlin and to be honest I wasn't particularly thrilled about it. I really enjoy good food snd coffee, and especially breakfast/brunch, and I was afraid Kassel wasn't gonna have anything to offer me in that sense. So when I found this place, and upon having my first sip of their cappuccino, I almost teared up! (I'm not even kidding!) The decor is perfect (actually the same exact vibe as my living room decor 😁) and the food is delicious!!!! Definitely my new favorite place in my new city ♡

One of the best cafés in Kassel. Each table is set with a screen pad where you can make your order and you're served within a few minutes. The food is tasty and lots of choice for hot or cold beverages. Vegetarian and vegan options (including vegan milk) are available.

If it wasn’t for the music it would be perfect! Everything thing is beautiful, food is great, service amazing, but the music…you’re in a very cozy coffe shop, modern and well decorated, a lot of plants and the views from the windows…but it’s like you’re in a night club in the 2000’s! I would say 4.5 stars but there’s not this option 😅

Casual spot with indoor and outdoor seating in Kassel’s city center. We only tried the beer, which was excellent. Service can be quite slow though, as the place gets busy and you’ll end up waiting a while.

We had four different meals and a flammkuchen to share and all the meals where superb. The people working here are very nice and want to make you feel comfortable and even let you change the Pfifferlingen menu option a little bit 😉. Thank you! And a big recommendation!

A very nice place to get some breakfast. Went there for brunch. Service and food were amazing. No problem to ask to change meat into cheese when vegetarians wanna order the “Frühstück für zwei" or the “Königsfrühstück”. Also, warm dishes look great too!

I really enjoyed the cake and coffee and In my opinion it was quite cheap considering the quality and portion sizes. The staff can be a bit hurried and you can sense the lack of relaxation, which isn't their fault that the place is busy, which is a good sign if you ask me. I'll be back, maybe not too soon due to the possibility of getting a cake habit.

We had today lunch in this restaurant. My husband had fresh food, but my dish was fully not fresh. By the taste of products it was clear it was cooked yesterday, not even in the morning. I had baked potato with chicken and mushrooms. Everything was with taste of oil, I think they cooked it second time so it was really oily and with no taste of mushrooms or chicken… exactly the same you will have if warm up not fresh food. Just hope I will be fine tomorrow because of not fresh mushrooms…

My experience with this restaurant was quite bad, unfortunately. I ordered two entrees for pickup on a Sunday and received an email confirming the order. I went to the restaurant at the designated time to collect the order, and they did not have it. I guess they rushed to prepare it in 10 minutes. Then they brought me an order in a bag that was wrong. About 5 minutes later, they brought me a different order in a bag that was half wrong and half correct. I just took it because I had been standing outside in the cold for 15 minutes. When I arrived home, I had to throw half of the food away. It was full of grease and barely edible (for me). I made a mistake to choose this restaurant for a pickup order and will avoid them in the future for anything other than drinks. To be fair, weekends are very busy for them, which is why I gave two stars instead of one. But the way they handled this incident today for me was just really unprofessional and unacceptable.

The burger was simple but decent—nothing special but tasty. Unfortunately, the Saigon Bowl didn’t meet expectations (it looked great). It lacked flavor, the beef was dry and noodles were overcooked. While the service was good, especially considering how busy it was, the food just didn’t stand out. I really liked the teriyaki bowl with chicken. It would have been perfect (to this American) if the sauce was offered “on the side,” but I think that’s cultural. The flavors and variety of vegetables were great. The chicken was cooked well. My husband enjoyed the vegetable curry. The view is amazing.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Kassel. The coffee is very good, they have an amazing collection of desserts and chocolate as well as chocolate alcohol drinks. The searing are is very nice and cozy and the it is very affordable

How does a place that oozes class only get 3*. There are positives. The 80pc cocoa hot chocolate rocks like thin Lizzy (look it up kiddies). The cakes look the goods but the only one I try, kugelupf (well, my mum called it that), is so dry, I reach for the nearest liquid to avoid asphyxiation...thank goodness it was the sample for my parole officer. The breakfast is generous for €11, but I'd prefer less and higher quality. The bread is poor par bake, and most of the cheese not really the goods. The meats and butter are good, as is the marmalade. The egg is freshly cooked. The chocolates seem worthy, but are eye wateringly expensive. I think this is one of those places that with experience, you can choose well consistently. The service too is very welcoming and caring, if not pushed to capacity.

For years, this has been my go to spot when traveling back to my hometown of Kassel. The menu is consistently evolving, but the food consistently remains delicious. From luscious bread options, to simple pancakes, or exciting salads, they sure know how to cook up a delicious meal. Their coffee is delicious as well, and the staff: oh the staff. Such friendly people, always smily, chatty and there to make your day brighter.

The sitting Arrangement outside is nice. Good for drinks but if you want a meal, this isn't the place. They have salad and small snacks.

To keep it short: excellent location, excellent baked goods, and excellent drink choices. The Zitrone-Ingwer tea is great for a chilly day, and the strawberry Blätterteig dessert I got was excellent (not just good on their own, but also a good combination). Their spot right on the Fulda is relaxed, and you can watch canoes and other boats pass by. The woman working at the counter was also very helpful and friendly! After my first visit I would definitely encourage others to pop in and try this place.

I came from London to this beautiful city of Kassel on business and decided to have a cup of coffee. I went into a coffee shop and liked the atmosphere of the café and the outdoor seating. But I was unpleasantly surprised by the prices. Compared to London, the prices are higher and the service is worse. I ordered a pumpkin latte and was served less than half a glass of latte, with the rest being cream. I really didn't like the cost-cutting measures at the expense of customers. The price does not reflect the quality. The coffee tasted fine, but it wasn't worth the money. I definitely do not recommend it.

No specialty coffee with expensive prices, but well located in Kassel. We paid 4,50 for oat flat white (large capuccino) with bad tasting sweet oat milk and a double espresso. Both was served in to go cups even though we wanted to drink it outside (waste of resources). No vegan pastries or ice cream. Wouldn't go again.

I recommend this bakery without reservation. This is easily one of the best bakeries in Kassel. Since German baking culture is world-class, I would recommend any visitors in Kassel to try this place. Naturally, the prices on some items are higher, but that's naturally because they are higher quality and hand made. The bakeries in Lidl and Edeka will deliver cheap and acceptable products every time, but you will never get the quality that you find here.

We used to drive to this place because of the chocolate sauce they had as an add-on (the one that hardens and creates a crunchy crust). The last two times we were there, we got cocoa syrup instead of chocolate dip - and way too much of it! Unfortunately we got our cups to take away and noticed only once we got home. Very disappointing, considering we have equally good gelato places closer by. Please bring the chocolate dip back, it was a unique proposition.

This is easily the worst treatment I've ever received at an eatery. It marred our visit to Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe and was the low point of our time in German. NB: I reported our experience in writing to management of the establishment. The reply received stated that the waitress who served us had not taken an ongoing position at the cafe and stated the owner did not tolerate racism. An apology was made, but also it was suggested our experience was that of unfriendly service only and our expectations of young wait staff were unreasonably high. I strongly refute both of the last two points.
