The bread and cakes here are of excellent quality and taste amazing. I will definitely come back on my next trip to Calgary. Although the refrigerator at our accommodation was small and not ideal for storing cakes, they still stayed fresh, kept their flavor, and held their shape perfectly. As for the bread, even though the brioche became slightly damp on the bottom while we stored it in a cooler, it turned out crispy and golden when toasted, and we truly enjoyed it. The croissant was also delicious, and next time I visit, I plan to try all the varieties available.

Absolutely the best - the instant you step inside the store, the scent floats you to a French bakery in middle of Paris. My all time favorite place for tasty, well balanced cakes with signature flavors.

We came by Yann Haute in search of another patisserie that suited our taste buds so we would have more variety. Overall, I would rate them 3.5 stars. I grabbed two cakes to try out and he got an almond croissant. The cakes were very well presented and eye-catching, though on the pricier side. The pastries were not as attractive and looked rather flat and a little overbaked. While I enjoyed the cakes overall, they were a bit on the sweet side. He found his croissant dry and didn't like it too much. I would probably pop by again if I was in the area, but wouldn't make a special trip here.

9/19/2025: I had read about their macarons and had to stop in to try it. I'm pretty particular about macarons and really only found a couple that I like. This place is now included on my list of macarons. The shell is soft and doesn't really have a crisp shell however the filling is delightful. Fluffy and not too sweet.

This pastry shop is absolutely delightful! Everything is fresh, beautifully made, and tastes amazing. The croissants are buttery and flaky, and the cakes are rich and flavorful. The staff are kind and welcoming, and the place smells heavenly. Perfect spot for coffee and treats — highly recommend to everyone

Still the best almond croissants in town after all these years. For about $6, the almond croissants are very good value. The other pastries were not bad. Highly recommend.

Definitely the best patisserie in Calgary that I have come across so far. The cakes not only look pretty but are crafted with real detail, have different layers/ components and are not too sweet. Great service too. Not the cheapest cake you can find, but you can certainly taste the difference.

Macarons baking 101 with Ollia Macarons & Tea! What a great way to spend a fun evening with friends, work mates, or siblings! Making macarons is not foolproof, but it sure is tasty! David, the owner, was our instructor, and he put everyone at ease. We got a bit of history while learning how to make these delicate patisseries. There was definitely alot of laughter in the class! Merci beaucoup David, and Lindsey for the delicious tea and macaron samples.The best part of the class is taking home 2 dozen of our masterpieces...😁

I recently took a macaroon-making class with my girlfriends, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of delicious aromas. The owner David was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and made the entire process so much fun even for beginners like us! We learned step-by-step how to make the perfect macaroons, from whipping the meringue to piping and filling with the most heavenly ganache. Not only did we walk away with a box of gorgeous (and tasty!) treats, but also new skills and great memories. It was the perfect girls' night out creative, relaxing, and a little bit indulgent. Highly recommend this class for anyone looking for a fun activity with friends, a unique date idea, or just a chance to treat yourself!

I’ve ordered a box of 24 macarons for my husband birthday. Literally just 4 of all flavours were fresh and soft. All others were very dry and crumbly. I was very disappointed as it was a gift. Two stars for Earl Gary and Vanilla

I had such a wonderful experience at the macaron-making class at Ollia Macarons & Tea! The instructor was incredibly friendly and sweet, and she did a fantastic job explaining each step of the process, including why each technique was important for making light, airy, and delicious macarons. It was perfect for beginners and made the whole experience fun and approachable. During our break, we were treated to a selection of Ollia’s own macarons along with some absolutely delicious teas—such a nice touch! The shop itself was clean, cozy, and very inviting. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone looking to learn something new and enjoy a lovely evening out.

I did the Macaron making class and it was superb! Highly recommend for yourself, as a gift, or a date idea.

We tried a free sample of pumpkin cheese cake. My wife ordered a single pumpkin cheese cake, I choose banana Carmel I believe the name is . Both were good . The pie crust thickness and ratio to filling was unbalanced. As well a little under cooked . The coffee had no flavor 😩. It tasted like the grounds had been used twice .

I have always been a fan of Pie Junkie since they opened their first location in Kensington. However, I was so elated to learn they opened a location in West Calgary. I visited this place last Thursday, and the woman staff member provided me the best service. I went in there for a quick treat, but she convinced me to buy a loaf of bread (it was absolutely delicious). The service alone reinforced my admiration for this bakery and all its locations.

Love pie junkie, it's a place that has turned me into a pie lover and I was devastated when they closed down their kensington location. In any case, I've gone to usually ordering the pies through delivery now (uber eats)--I just want to show my appreciation of this place, as I had ended up with the wrong pie/order but whoever I had talked to over the phone (on Jul 27, around 12:20pm), found a way to not only compromise but fix the mistake (going above and beyond) which is something I am thankful for. Thank you so much. The pies are delicious as always, service especially--exceptional.

They pies where really good, a bit on the pricy end I think it was like 7$ a pie. The Key lime is amazing.

I have finally found a manufacturer that sells all different individual types of pie… The sizing comes in all handheld to fold dinner sizes but the thing that makes this so unique is the actual pie crust that is delicious

I visited your Kensington location in Calgary two weeks ago on a Saturday afternoon and requested a vanilla cake. The young gentleman assisting me assured me it was a confetti cake with vanilla on both the inside and outside. However, upon serving the cake, it turned out to be chocolate, which was a big disappointment, especially for the birthday girl who was really looking forward to enjoying her vanilla cake. For the price of $60, I was expecting the correct order, and it’s disheartening that such a special moment was impacted by this mistake. I’ve also reached out but have not received a response yet. I have included a photo of the cake as proof.

I recently bought mini cupcakes 🧁 a dozen of them and they were all stale, they should have taken them off the shelf. If they told me come back for fresh ones I would appreciate that. I bought it for a gift and I felt bad they turned out that way. I use to buy crave cupcakes and they had great service and better cupcakes before 🙁

Fantastic New Book. I love baking, tried 4 recipes so far. All great. Grandchildren approved, and close friends. Finally a cook book with many good recipes. Way to go Crave! thank you Kathy Pope.

The amount of options in this bakery...is wow (in a good way). They also offer seasonal goods. Their cupcakes range from mini to large in multiple flavours, moist and well made with icing (which can be too sweet for some). $21 for a dozen mini or can pay for 6 large. Their cookies here are also really good and soft with unique flavour options too - selling for $3 each. Have tried their delivery service and it is also very good and well organized. This place is a good place to treat yourself or a loved one.

I have been a customer at this location for the past few years and the staff that work here are amazing! I decided that this location, along with Crave Cupcakes as an entirety deserves this review. Staff are absolutely sonice and radiate with positivity and kindness, and the vibe of the place is amazing. The cupcakes are phenomenal and are amazing (red velvet by far is my favourite flavour) and I recently got a birthday cake as well that they created for me and it was beautiful (pictures inserted below). I ordered a custom 6 inch cake (its a wedding cake topper, so I had to order it through the phone centreline), and the baker did A BEAUTIFUL JOB! It was also reasonably priced too which was a huge plus. Pictures attached are the cake that was made for my birthday, along with mini cupcakes that were as small treats for my guests, and the red/blue cupcakes were a seasonal item for the Battle of Alberta Stanley Cup Playoffs months ago! I do have more pictures from over the course of me being a customer here but I won't have enough space to post them, oops~. Thank you Crave Cupcakes for helping me out with my birthday cake, along with being my first choice ever to treat myself whenever I want to! I will be a customer here forever until the end of time! :)

Cupcakes selection/flavour still lack variety, and taste as expected, but nothing extraordinary. The cupcake bases seem to be either between vanilla, chocolate, and red velvet just with the same few types of buttercream frostings. I find the frosting to be overwhelming in sweetness and also amount. The way that the frosting just hardens and comes off in one chunk speaks volumes about how much sugar is used. The cupcakes are moist (when fresh). Service I had at this location was fair, the employee serving me just had a monotone voice and flat expression. I also learned that a digital gift card (with a unique PIN code) cannot be used at the same transaction with another email offer (e.g. birthday discount), so that was a slight disappointment.

Delicious ice cream spot, and such a cute atmosphere! 😋 such a fun spot to check out on a hot day. Their ice cream is so creamy and flavourful. We tried the cookies and cream, lemon curd blueberry, and the earl grey! All were great and I would highly recommend to any friends. Staff are all very kind and efficient.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Made by Marcus used to be the BEST ice cream in town… now it’s the WORST. The quality has completely gone downhill — flavors taste off, texture isn’t the same, and the overall experience is disappointing compared to what it used to be. Really sad to see such a great place fall this far.

Amazing little ice cream spot. The flavours are all very creative and even the weird sounding ones taste good. I’d recommend to try all the ones you’re curious of before you pick but definitely pick the lemon curd and blueberry. The flavours aren’t too too sweet or decadent. Not a super creamy dairy forwards ice cream but that just means you can enjoy a little bit more. Highly recommend.

Incredibly delicious ice cream, very friendly staff, and a great place for families. The only downside was that the waffle cone was too hard. Next time, I’ll get it in a cup.

Visited on August 8, 2025 There was long queue in front and please was super busy. Many different flavours available we tried two both were good but not great. Friendly staff.

Unfortunately, the ice cream here is far too sweet. It's a shame because many of their flavours sound appealing, they just add so much sugar that the ice cream ends up being cloying, sickly, and impossible to finish. Calgary has other ice cream shops that do interesting flavours without overdoing the sweetness. I would reconsider my views on this shop if they pared back the sweetness, but for now, it's a hard no for me. I'm giving it two stars because the staff seem nice.

I've had my fair share of ice cream across Ontario and a bit of western Canada, and I think Made by Marcus has to be right up there with the top ice cream spots. Something that sets this place apart is the wide variety of ice cream flavours - they're super unique and flavourful. Their lemon curd blueberry is one of the best ice creams I've ever had. Its got the right mix of tartness and sweetness, with a very milky after taste. The sea salt caramel goat milk ice cream was also amazing, along with decadent Choco lava cake. The server also let us sample any flavour we wanted. Will visit again for sure!

It was my first time to visit here. My favorite was the croissants with ham and cheese. Even though it cost 8.50 for each, but the filling with cheese and ham made it very tasty. They had many tarts, the New York cheese tart is good, the dark chocolate was the best. The pistachio eclair is creamy and not sweet. After I placed my order they got a little busy and took longer time to get my drink right. Overall, the croissants are yummy, I will go back to eat more.

Cute place with a patio! But too bad the food isn’t good. This is the driest and hardest bread/ croissant I’ve ever had in my entire life. The “French Onion Soup” was the biggest disappointment. Felt like I was drinking salt water, because I could taste nothing but salt. I even had to order a whole big baguette to eat with that tiny little bowl of soup. Total cost was more than $20 for everything and I disliked everything. Do not recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this cozy cafe. The pastries were freshly baked and tasted like homemade cookies. The coffee was also great, considering the quality and volume. The staff was friendly and helpful, making our experience even better. We’ll definitely be back!

This place is incredibly overpriced. We ordered two baguettes and two orange juice. It was $50 and the portions are VERY small. The baguettes were cold, the bread was hard to chew and no sauce. In another place this would be less than $30 for two people. I will never come back. I felt exploited.

The blueberry almond tart was amazing. The sandwich however was awful. No seasoning anywhere apart from the butter. No moisture anywhere except for the tomatoes. The baguette is the worst part. This is the kind of sandwich I'd expect from Tim Hortons. Also the decision to have single use plastics for water was disappointing. I'd return for the pastries but not for the entrees.

Food was good, but not great. We tried the eclairs,it was okay. Cappuccino was good. Croissant wasn't great but the ambience was nice and lively.parking spots are very limited.

The café was okay overall. My spinach and feta croissant didn’t really have much feta, which was a bit disappointing. It was super busy and hard to find a seat, but the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Now I understand I ordered gluten free doughnuts so they won't be the same as what I have been used to but these doughnuts were extremely dry and hard. I ordered the maple bacon flavor and it was pretty underwhelming. Regular doughnuts might be better but for people with a gluten free allergy, I would look elsewhere.

Although they did not have a lot of doughnuts when we visited, there were still maple bacon doughnuts! The limited selection of doughnuts was still delicious. It was my first time trying a maple bacon doughnut so plus points to Jelly for making me obsessed with the flavour.

Very creative doughnut styles and flavors. I think out of everything I got, the maple bacon was my favorite. These doughnuts are more on the pricey side but just look at them! It’s completely worth it.

The donuts we got were delicious. My fav was the lemon one with the berry jam center, but my wife and kids loved every one of the flavors we got. I was disappointed at the amount of options, though. I prefer savory breakfast, so when we go to donut shops, I usually get a breakfast sandwich, croissant, or a kolache (if we’re in Texas), but there weren’t any savory options.

Had breakfast and few croissants to serve and few for home. And an organic sourdough wholewheat bread. All pastries absolutely incredibly fresh, not greasy, very flavourful and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside-just perfect balance. The sourdough bread is probably the best in Calgary-perfect crust, perfect gooeyness and the perfect amount of holes as well-taste-perfect for my liking’s. The sandwiches: just perfect balance within the amount of ingredients and bread. Nicely cured salmon-decent amount, good quality avocado and great dark orange eggs/yolks. Never been disappointed at sidewalk citizen bakery. Great stuff as well, very interesting characters all around. Nice atmosphere-positive vibe all around.

Nice Bakery on the river front. The staff were nice friendly and in a good mood. I tried a couple things a slice of the Orange cranberry cake with brown sugar frosting it was delightful. I also tried their Quiche it was flavorful. Items are on the smaller side but I enjoyed my breakfast with a nice latte and sat outside relaxing under the sun. Bathroom and establishment were clean.

Best croissant and pain au chocolate I’ve had in Canada other than in Quebec! The pictures don’t do them enough justice. So yummy!

I love it here. One of my favourite spots to hang out on the weekend. Their breakfast sandwiches are incredible and so are the pastries I’ve tried. I love the location and how close it is to the river too. During winters, the interior is nice and cozy and great for a coffee work date.

Great bakery, i love everything they serve honestly. This is my go to place everytime I want something amazing to eat. Their sandwiches are also the best - they change daily/weekly so you gotta try them all! They also have a patio - it’s right by the water & is a great spot to grab a coffee/ walk your dog or walk by yourself.

Beautiful location right by the river. The granola, almond croissant and egg bun were scrumptious. You get your drinks from the nearby coffee roastery. The brick building and wooden chairs and tables adds to the overall experience. They also have outdoor seating. Great way to spend a weekend morning!

We’ve been coming here every time we want something different and delicious. We had croissants and sandwiches today, they were freshly made, you could taste the difference. Staff are friendly.

I came here for the Easter Afternoon Tea and had a wonderful experience. The selection of sweet and savory bites was both generous and delicious, and at $50 for two people, it was great value. A thoughtful touch was the cookie they gave us to take home—it made the experience feel even more special. My favorite part was definitely the Easter-themed macarons—they were not only adorable but also tasted great. I’m already looking forward to coming back to try more of their baked goods. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a charming afternoon tea experience!

The owner is truly exceptional! She created the cake for my wedding, and it was not only beautiful but absolutely delicious. From start to finish, she was a pleasure to work with—professional, kind, and clearly passionate about what she does. You can tell her desserts are made with love and genuine care, not just for business. I wholeheartedly recommend this café for any special occasion—you won't be disappointed!

Went for “High tea”. Food was very good, however, the tea was bland and had no flavour ( we ordered creamy earl grey). One thing that puzzled me is that the table set up was lacking. No teaspoons were provided, and the milk for tea was served in a regular glass with a spoon in it. We had to stir our tea with a knife. Everything just seemed random I feel that maybe this establishment should do a little research in table set up and etiquette.

So satisfied with the quality of their cakes! Tiramisu and salted caramel cheesecake were the best amongst all the cakes ive ordered. My cravings satisfied and my hearts full

So happy that Sucre is still around even though they no longer have the kiosk in the Brookfield building downtown. They are still one of my favourite bakeries in the city and I love that there's something different once in awhile. Really great selection of traditional French pastries ilke butter croissant and pain au chocolate....so some weirder (but still delightful!) options like the "2D croissant". There are also gluten free options like mochi donuts! I look forward to stopping by anytime I have an appointment in the area.

Came to try the viral fruits and left with an extra caramel banana crunch croissant. The croissant was amazing. My favourite of the fruits was the mango and the bunny but the lemon and strawberry are still lovely. It was a bit of a walk to get to them but I would do it again!

we ordered the strawberry chiffon cake for a birthday party. We ordered 4 days ahead of time. ordered online which was very smooth and simple. the pick up was flawless and the cake was DELICIOUS! Moist and flavourful while not being too sweet at all. the guests loved it. 8inch was enough for 12 people.

Pretty good ice cream! Their maple pecan is incredible! I'm definitely getting that scoop again. (Honey berry is not bad, but wouldn't be on my recommendations list). Nice, quiet location as well.

We are visiting from BC and this place is by far one of the most delicious ice creams we've had. Not only is everything amazing, the staff are the most friendly and welcoming folks here! El and Rachel were super warm and patient and explained all the flavours to my group of friends and I. Honestly, Village Ice Cream might even be better than Earnest/Rain or Shine in Vancouver.😏 The food is amazing, but the staff are even more amazing!! Will absolutely come back here the next time we visit.

In love with Village Ice Cream; their product is second to none. I love that they have vegan and gluten-free options, and beautiful rotating options for pets! I remember going in once in the winter to find the scooparista (do they have a title?) colouring in a colouring book! I thought it was so sweet! They said the manager doesn’t want them on their phones so they supplied the staff with some crafty options to fill their downtime. 💗

This little ice cream shop is always rocking it out! Always a line, people are so relaxed, the servers are patient with you and offer samples to try to help you choose. And they even have a glutenwise choice of cone. I love the earl grey flavour, it's a personal flavour fave!! Keep it up. My husband had the hot fudge sundae.

George was wonderful! He recommended some of the best foods and engaged in great conversation. The drunken noodles are truly their specialty (add the mushrooms and tofu for sure)! The vegetarian sushi was the also delicious! The yam fries with garlic aioli were also a group favorite.

Unfortunately my first experience at The Coup wasn’t as good as I had hoped. My group was participating in Taste the City and the coup was really struggling to keep up with service while we were there. I think a staff shortage may have been the cause and hope to try The Coup again in the future. We were seated quite promptly but then no one came by for about 25 minutes. We had planned to order a round of drinks but by then we knew we wouldn’t get the drinks in time. The waiter did ask if we would like still or sparkling water, but then never came back with the water. After 40 minutes we did get our food. We had to ask for cutlery and we never received napkins. We did have to eat it quickly and then move on to our next stop.

Fantastic food, the falafel quesadilla was so good and that cheesecake melts in your mouth - so delicious!! How is it Vegan? Cooper served us and was a fantastic host! He provided great recommendations, he was so friendly and so kindly offered an after dinner apple pie aperitif! Such an amazing service throughout - we will definitely come back!!

One of the best vegan places I have been to. The food is super delicious, flavorful, fresh and light to eat and also a very eclectic menu. I didn't feel bloated after my meal. Ambience is very relaxing and staff is super friendly. Definitely recommend this place to all the veggie and vegan folks.

Extensive assortment of tasty baked goods in a warm and comfortable setting. The pastries (eg. croissants) are pretty good with flaky, buttery layers. The ham croissants would benefit from more cheese as opposed to the cream sauce. The mini cakes are exquisite pieces of art, and their blue cheese sour dough bread is heavenly (only available on Fridays). Manuel Latruwe is a solid cafe for breakfast, coffee with pastries, or take out for enjoyment at home!

Love this place. Everything they have to offer is good!! I kept coming back and bringing friends over. It’s like you can’t go wrong when you order from here— everything is literally so good! Good quality, great taste!! They could renovate/ upgrade their place tho to make ambiance better. Seems like a mix match haha place could be more cozy/ aesthetic to match the quality of what they serve :)

We ordered the Teranga cake, which is a decadent chocolate mouse cake. It was delicious. I like how they have multiple side cakes feeding 4 to 12 servings. It was perfect for our group of 4 with a slice left over. The price was reasonable compared to other similar bakeries. I noticed they had individual cakes of multiple flavours. I’d love to try them all.

Perfect little bakery (european) amazing looking pastries and bread, my friend always gets the quiche and crossaint, and I got a skillet.. simple flavourful and perfectly cooked. The attention to detail was amazing. We were left alone to do some drawings and talk for a while. We felt welcome and the selection on the menu looked awesome they had buckwheat crepes! Next time I'll try it. Thanks to the lovely woman who served us, she was delightful.

I’ve had Napoleon pastries here a few times, and they’re always outstanding. The cream and custard are smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced, not overly sweet. What really stands out is the Madagascar vanilla. The flavor is unforgettable, and the aroma adds a refined, beautiful touch.

I had a cheese bun at Richmond's pub a few years back, so I went to finally buy some, since it's far out of my way, and apparently they don't have actual buns. What they did have was a bag of bits and pieces of cheese buns. I'm terribly disappointed. I went to the sausage shop next door, (highly recommend), and one of the staff mentioned they were under new management, and were sad about that change. Do better, please. I've posted a picture for scale, which was the biggest one of the batch. I'm not sure how you make a sandwich out of that. I had the stuffed bun at Richmond's pub, and it was a proper large, round bun. They're delicious, but I was looking forward to making sandwiches with them.

We’ve been loyal patrons of Glamorgan Bakery for years and it’s truly one of the best. Their cheese buns are unmatched (nothing else even comes close). We have a special tradition of getting baby cakes for our late son’s birthday, and the team always makes them with such care and quality. Even though I’ve developed a gluten intolerance, I still pick up their treats for my husband and guests because they’re that good. Forever a favourite. 💛

Ordered my birthday cake online. Smooth transaction. I ordered the mini carrot cake with cream cheese filling and buttercream frosting. The cake had no raisins, which I loved. I do wish the cake had more spice. My birthday cake was Gilmore girls themed. It turned out very nice. I bought a bag of the cheese buns to take on a picnic. They're ok but I find them greasy.

Cheese buns are the go-to product here and just tried the new chocolate buns: now I have 2 favourite items from here. Cant beat the quality of this bakery. Highly recommend.

I just had the most wonderful experience ordering a cake from Glamorgan Bakery for the very first time, and I couldn't be happier! I kept hearing amazing things about their famous black forest cake, so I thought I’d check it out and see what all the buzz was about. I picked up a lovely strawberry shortcake for my daughter and a rich black forest cake for her dad, and oh my goodness—both cakes were absolutely delicious! They were super fresh, wonderfully moist, and so beautifully decorated. A huge thank you to the friendly staff and talented bakers at Glamorgan Bakery for making my first visit so special. I’m already excited to order cakes for our future celebrations!

We have a few items that we LOVE from this bakery. Their Texas donuts are the best! We also love the glazed cinnamon twists and cheese buns. It can be quite busy depending on the time of day but we find when they first open or just before supper the best time. But, some items can sell out!

It has been a great experience to enjoy if you want to satisfy your cravings of sweet tooth. We ordered ravishing choco-lava with waffles with help of Ahmed from the cafe. And it turned out a great suggestion. Looking to enjoy more such treats ffrom here. Menu itself is luring 😋😋.

These pancakes were absolutely out of this world! 🤯 So soft, fluffy, and full of flavor — the combo of bananas, strawberries, Oreos, and warm chocolate was just perfect. And the presentation? Totally Instagram-worthy! The little syrup syringe was such a fun and tasty touch. The service was 1000000000/10! 🥰 Super friendly, fast, and welcoming staff — they made the experience even better. The lotus milk cake and eggless waffle with chocolate icecream were too delicious. The staff are so welcoming and helpful ( juhu) and they also suggested eggless option( waffle and pancakes ) which is good for veg people. Really recommend this place.

I visited D Spot on 17th Ave with my family, and it was such a nice experience! The place has a really cozy and modern vibe, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The skillet, kunafa cup, and kunafa crepe caught my eye - and I'm so glad we tried them. Everything tasted amazing! Me and my family love kunafa ever since we had it last time in Dubai, and this place actually brought back those memories. The flavors were rich, creamy, and perfectly sweet. We'll definitely be coming back soon - highly recommend this spot if you love desserts with a touch of Middle Eastern flavor!

We came from the USA and this is the first café we actually loved after 7 days of traveling around Canada. The food was really good, fresh, and full of flavor - exactly what we were looking for! The servers were amazing, super friendly, and they really made the atmosphere fun and comfortable. It felt like a place we could just relax and enjoy. Beautiful big bakery &cafe in one corner near downtown!!! Wow so many seatings for any size of group! Gorgeous place inside with plenty of options for desserts and sweets! So I’m trying to love this place as much as I can, but 3 times I was here and 3 times I had some issues. I feel like barista there doesn’t pay attention to details for drinks, I’m getting wrong drink 3 times it’s insane. I understand it’s always busy in there and there’s only 1 lady working on drinks usually, but I’m paying for product I want to get, and 3 times I’m throwing out this drink because it’s not what I wanted…. Delicious desserts, yes, great! I love atmosphere there as a co-working space, but I don’t think I’ll come one more time just because it’s getting frustrating now to get something you don’t want. Beautiful seatings outside as well, and they have just benches for your fur friends to wait near the entrance. I gave this place 3 tries and I’m giving up now. I hope this place will meet your expectations and right order of drink!

Very tasty. The coffee is warm, doesn't burn your tongue, and the cheesecake is delicate and pleasantly sweet. We also ordered pizza, which was very tasty, with perfectly stretchy cheese. We waited about 20-25 minutes for the pizza. The only downside is that on weekdays between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., it is very noisy inside the restaurant. But you can sit outside, where it is quieter, although there are not always seats available.

Our wedding cake from Alforno Bakery (through Teatro Ristorante) was a masterpiece. It was elegant, delicious, and absolutely perfect for our intimate celebration. From the moment we saw it, we were struck by its simple yet stunning design. It fit beautifully with our aesthetic. But the real magic was in the flavor. Every bite was rich, moist, and perfectly balance - mot too sweet, just indulgent enough. If you're looking for a cake that’s both beautiful and unforgettable, Alforno Bakery delivers in every way. Affono Café (7th Street, Downtown Calgary) Nice spot with really good coffee and cake — perfect for catching up with friends. The place has a trendy vibe, but parking can be tricky, and it’s often hard to find a table inside if you’re just there for coffee or dessert since most of the space is used for meal services. Outdoor seating would be nice if it weren’t so cold — no heaters set up yet. Customer service could be improved; staff seemed quite busy and didn’t appear very welcoming, which made the experience feel a bit rushed.

Proper ice cream shop! This place is so much fun and the ice cream is obviously awesome. Dozens of flavours made by 3 local creameries. They have a chocolate fountain, and little syringes full of different topping sauces to fire into or onto your ice cream. You can add cereal, make floats, or milkshakes. The decor is also really nostalgic and cute. I read some of the 1-star reviews. One complained about price. Nothing unusual about this place - pretty standard pricing for the area. One complained that the cereal got soggy in the ice cream. Water is wet. One complained that service was not good presumably because the guest was Asian. Twice now we have been doted over patiently; we are Asian. The staff is all smiles and courtesy. Lots of seating room so a great place for the family. Many neat things in the immediate area so check them out too.

Mocha Almond Fudge. Always a coffee lover. One of the best coffee flavored ice cream I ever tasted at par with MacKay’s in Cochrane. A little bit on the expensive side. Courteous & Rapid Staff. Fast quality service and becomes faster when there’s a longer line. Will accommodate you quite well. Old-School Establishment. Just a simple looking shop with an upright piano, vintage feel and old country style yet cozy atmosphere that will send you back to the old days while you eat ice cream. Must be intentional I suppose.

Pretty good ice creams, variety of flavors. I tried their root beer and cinnebun flavor. However one huge downside, everyone that works there hate their life and being there. When we entered to the shop not one of the 4 staff approached us to greet us or ask us what we like. My wife asked the cashier”hiii can we try a flavor” to get responded by “what🙄”.Staff were so rude and did not smile once. It was pretty bitter sweet experience…lol every one of them mastered their eye rolls and the customer service. We got our ice creams and left as soon as we could. Would not go back simply because of the staff.

got birthday party and blueberry cheesecake (double baby scoop). the ice cream was good, and the blueberry cheesecake was especially good. although, the sprinkles in the birthday party weren't very good, they were rock hard and didn't really add any taste either.

We recently moved into the neighbourhood and have experienced this place 3 times. The ice cream is fantastic and a cute little place to stop while on a Sunday stroll. The staff; however, need training on customer service and how to treat people. They are extremely rude, no hi, how are you, no nothing! Not even a slight smile. It’s unfortunate because my girl really likes this place but you can have your ice cream, we will go to where they appreciate their customers.

So many ice cream varieties and birthday desserts! Try their Cereal ice cream soft serve! You can mix-match different cereals! I only tried their Cinnamon Crunch soft serve. Their vanilla ice cream was a bit underwhelming and lacking in flavour. But overall, we like the ambience and will continue to support this small business!

We did the Gelato Academy Experience with Venkee and Glenn as an anniversary outing at the end of April. We made it part of a road trip from Edmonton - what a great afternoon! There was one other couple doing it at the same time and they were so great and friendly too. It started off as a tasting of all their shop flavours of gelato and sorbetto, several which cannot be bought at the store. I loved the passionfruit margarita sorbetto. Then we made 8 pints of our custom flavored gelato - the flavors and inclusions were nearly endless. Hint - ours was inspired by margaritas too! Lastly we took a short tour and learned about the company (I love their values and culture) and some of the processes in making the stuff we love from the grocery store (Safeway in Edmonton). I recommend their gelato / sorbetto and encourage you to go pop in when in Calgary and maybe do a tour, tasting, or experience. Venkee is the perfect ambassador and you couldn't beat Glenn's knowledge and passion.

We came here to do the gelato experience to celebrate a birthday and let me tell you this is one of the coolest experience you can do in Calgary! The ENTIRE staff was so amazing, friendly, and so knowledgeable. You can tell how passionate everyone is and they share James passion and love for this company. We were able to make 2 flavours and we chose 1 gelato and 1 sorbeto. They have so many ingredients to choose from and we chose to make a rum- passion fruit- pineapple sorbeto and a horchata gelato!! Both sooo delicious. We didn’t feel rushed at ALL and Michelle was so helpful in helping us nail the flavours we had in mind. Ria’s tour of the facility was so good and full of history. From their days as FIASCO to their journey to become RIGHTEOUS. Super cool to learn about this local business. Clayton’s taste testing was so yummy. Took us for a rollercoaster of flavours and was able to tell us every ingredient that goes into making these yummy gelatos. Venkee’s enthusiasm and his attention to customer care was so great. He made sure we all had a great time! Overall, I could not recommend this place more and I’m very excited to see how a local Calgary brand is starting to make their mark on the international stage!

After our brunch we decided to head over to Righteous Gelato. A little different venue from what we’re used to but the place is welcoming and service is top notch. They had a few selections that we got to sample before placing our order. Flavours tasted fresh and smooth. They provide tours and classes as well. If you’re in the neighbourhood, head down and try them out or schedule a tour or a class.

Delicious gelato, you can tell it is made with love and always fresh! Service is great, kind servers. And large portion sizes great for the price! Welcoming environment, on the smaller size but well used space.

Stopped in at Righteous Gelato this afternoon to check it out. It was our first time going and we will definitely be back again! Venkee was super friendly, welcoming and helpful! He let us know all about the different flavours, history and some details about how the gelato is made. He truly made the experience just that much better and we appreciated being able to sample the flavours. We chose the salted caramel, cookies and cream and mint chocolate chip. The flavours were so delicious. We ended up buying 2 pints before leaving and at $8, what a great price! Highly recommend!

My fiance and I came in on Sept 13 to do the Gelato Academy and we had an amazing time. The two ladies that helped us were wonderful! So sweet, knowledgeable, and conversational the whole time. The whole atmosphere of the place was beautiful. We started off getting a taste of their gelato and then got started on making our custom flavour. The employees were there with us every step of the way and made sure our gelato creation would be perfect - which it was. Being able to package our own gelato containers was wonderful too. The tour afterwards was so cool! Learning about the history of the company and its values was so interesting. I will definitely be back to buy more once we run out of our custom strawberry-matcha gelato. I want to thank the two ladies that were there today (I am so sorry, I cannot for the life of me remember their names) for being so wonderful. 10/10!

I recently did the Righteous Gelato Academy experience and enjoyed it (with a few caveats). The staff were incredibly passionate and personable, which made the whole experience even better. They also offered a really fun and unique array of flavours to explore. My only wish is that my partner and I could have each made our own flavour — since we had to share, we both played it safe instead of experimenting, because otherwise we’d end up with 8 pints of one flavour one of us could hate. I think allowing more exploration would really improve the experience since they have so many flavours to play with! I'd think it would be feasible since the gelato making itself didn't really take that long. I also didn't find the tour super engaging, I thought it would be more focused on the manufacturing area but it was more-so just a tour of their office. Maybe more time with the tasting stage, or getting a free drink from the cafe would be a better use of this time while we wait for the gelato to freeze! The experience is pretty expensive and I'm not sure it really ended up being worth that price tag. That said, it was still a very cool and memorable experience!

Absolutely love this place! The food is very tasty, the desserts are delicious, and the sandwiches are amazing. They also have really good tea. I was very impressed with the design of the café — everything looks so stylish and thoughtfully put together, with colors that match perfectly. The atmosphere feels modern and cozy at the same time. The staff are very friendly and easy to talk to, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

I barely give anyone any review but I couldn’t resist giving Mari a 5⭐️ because of their Sourdough bread. I have been searching for sourdough bread that made from a real sourdough starter and I am very impressed. It is definitely the best sourdough bread I’ve had so far. Most importantly, we are in this economy where everything is increasing and I found that their price is very respectable (cheaper than many bakeries in the city) but higher quality. I’ll be a regular at Mari 😍

There is a reason this place always has a lineup, always worth the wait. Incredible range of baked goods and the sourdough base for their breads is especially fantastic. I love how many sweet and savory options they offer and the coffees are really tasty too. The roll cakes are a favourite, and the baked breakfast options always seem to have a new flavor or a different style of pastry. The sandwiches are also delicious and perfect if you want to grab something and then go to the park across the street. Top notch and part of my weekend morning routine to stop by and grab something.

Sweet Nothings, Sour Service: My recent visit to Mari Bakeshop was a study in contrasts. On the one hand, I had one of the best pastries I've tasted in a long time. On the other, the overall experience was severely hampered by uninviting service and a generally sparse atmosphere. The Pastries: A True Delight The undisputed star of the show here is the baking. I tried the Honey Almond Danish and choux and it was absolute perfection. Flaky, buttery, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients and expert skill. Every bite was worth the visit, and it's clear the baker here is a master of their craft. If you're purely chasing an excellent sweet treat, this is the place. The quality is genuinely outstanding and worth seeking out. The Atmosphere: A Lack of Warmth Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn't live up to the food. The shelves that presumably hold retail goods or ingredients were nearly bare, giving the space an unloved or temporarily closed feel. It lacks the cozy, bustling energy you expect from a great local spot. I did not have a chance to try what I have been wanting to try like the sourdough loaf, pain au chocolat, and the famous pistachio brulee. The Staff: A Cold Brew of Attitude What truly spoiled the experience, however, was the service. From the moment I stepped up to the counter, the staff were unfriendly. There was a greeting, no smile, and my questions about the menu were met with short, clipped answers. It felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. A little warmth goes a long way. The lack of basic hospitality here is a significant drawback. The Verdict Mari Bakeshop is a frustrating paradox. The pastries are easily five-star quality—they are truly exceptional and you should go just for the baked goods. However, the combination of unwelcoming staff and the uninviting, empty-shelved interior means the total experience drops it down considerably. I went to BOTH locations and did not find what I have been wanting to try. Go here if: You can grab your amazing pastry to go and don't mind cold service. Skip here if: You're looking for a comfortable spot to linger or value friendly interactions with your barista. Rating: 3/5 stars (5 for the food, 1 for the service/ambiance)

I used to be a regular customer for a long time until I relocated to Toronto last year. I went back about a month ago during the stampede, and it was great to see that the staff I had grown to know were still there. I was happy that Gea and Carlo were working the day I visited, and they remembered me. Their customer service is always outstanding! I hope to see them again soon when I return to Calgary and stop by Amato. I was let down because I recommended my friends from Toronto to visit the store two weeks ago, I encouraged them to go. But they said the customer service was bad and it wasn’t a good experience. That really disappointed me. I guess the staff were all new when they came. Their expectations weren’t met and they were let down by the slow and poor service.

My husband and I live in Edmonton, and chose pretty sweet bake shop Calgary for our wedding cake SOLELY off reviews and photos. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint. I had the pleasure of dealing with Vicki Manness who made the entire process from start to finish seamless and easy. The cake was gorgeous, VERY tasty (the entire table was making sounds lol) and packaged well. We took our cake to Canmore for our ceremony the next day and it stood through travel and bags of ice. The flowers were fresh and designed so well. Thank you very very much for an incredible cake and experience. Ok, so I work at a restaurant in the NW and tonight I had the extreme pleasure of one of my tables graciously giving me one of these cupcakes, and….WOW!! First impressions: When I was loading them onto a nice tray, me and another manger noted that these were some of the moistest looking cupcakes we had ever seen (and we see a lot of cake and cupcakes that guests bring in). Also the buttercream looked Sooooo silky smooth, which as a passionate home baker I appreciate because I know it takes extra attention to detail to get all those air bubbles out. After dropping them off at the table I had to ask where they were from because we had many servers stop us to ask where they were from because the looked so delicious, and the lovely table let us in on the little secret, that is you guys! Later when I brought the few remaining cupcakes back (like I said originally) they gave me one, and after a long day this cupcake did not disappoint! It was the most moist, not to sweet and perfectly balanced , silky smooth cupcake I have EVER had! Next time I am in the south I will definitely be coming to check you out ❤️ Ps. It was a chocolate cupcake with vanilla buttercream 🧁

Beautiful delicious cake! We got the peanut butter and jelly flavour, a little sweet but still very good! The cake was moist! Would recommend!!

This is an excellent restaurant in the suburbs of Calgary. The rotisserie chicken is especially good, the mashed potato’s are world class. The Bison is recommended and very good. The lamb is solid. The potato rolls are very well done and a must to order. The steak tartare is good, but needs a bit more flare to be excellent. The deserts are very well done. The service was a solid ‘good’, but not excellent. This is an excellent restaurant that has great bones and is definitely worth a visit, even a (15 minute) drive from the city.

Amazing date night Notable Restaurant My husband and I went on a flavor vacation tonight at Notable, and the first stop was the Embered Oysters. O. M. G. These little beauties left us speechless. They were baked in rich chili garlic butter, with delicate ribbons of spinach. We then both ordered the tenderloin. My husband went for a side of the baked potato, but this wasn’t your average russet with a dollop of sour cream…this was a big, glorious red-skinned potato loaded with house-made sour cream and a bacon vinaigrette that should be its own food group. Every bite was salty, creamy, buttery perfection. He added a horseradish sauce, which was less like the nose-tingling stuff you think of and more like a gravy-meets-horseradish situation. Paired well with anything it touches. I went for the potato gratin, which was life-changing. It was like biting into a cheesy, salty, melt-in-your-mouth potato cloud with the most perfect crusted cheese top. We also ordered the half lobster (flavourfully baked and fell out of the shell) and the beets…which I loved the first couple bites however, I like the earthy taste highlighted and they were glazed in a blueberry maple glaze that was a bit too sweet for me…perfect for my husband. He happily finished them off while I went back to my cheesy cloud. By the end of the night, we were already planning our next visit because our taste buds are basically addicted now. And shoutout to Ashley, our server, who was attentive, hilarious, and the cherry on top of a perfect dinner.

This place holds extra special meaning for me as this is where I proposed to my husband. I had chosen it because the majority of the menu is gluten free and he has celiac disease. It's one of the only establishments where he doesn't have to specifically ask about what's gluten-free or pick from limited options. For instance, their cheesecake is gluten free and it's indistinguishable from any other cheesecake with gluten that I've previously had, with the exception that it was absolutely one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had in my life. When I ordered the cheesecake for my husband, he said that it was his first cheesecake in 20-something years since his celiac diagnosis. The impeccable food is made all the better by the exceptional service from each and every dedicated and friendly staff. The prices are also incredibly reasonable for such a high end place. This is a rare gem of a restaurant, and I hope it's around for decades to come.

Notable is always reliable for its good food and service. However its new menu is super expensive -- holy inflation! We miss the relative affordablility in the old menu! Also miss the rotating Sunday dinner menu!!! Boo hoo. One of my most favorite dishes from one of those nights was the beef carpaccio with mushrooms. Oh my, do I miss that dish!!!! Anyhow we were there on a Sunday and it wasn't very busy likely because everyone else also misses the Sunday dinner spread. :( but we had some impeccable service by an Asian waiter who was super amazing, overly attentive, and just had so many good stories to tell about the food! Thank you!!!

10 stars out of 5!! Ive been to my fair share of 5 star restaurants and this has to be the best steak and halibut I have ever eaten! Chef Noble is such an incredible host as we had dinner at the bar and was gracious enough to offer my sin some great advice! Cant recommend enough!

My sister, mom and I went for mothers day and had the course menu. First of all, great atmosphere. I would say its upscale and chill. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. I was a bit weary about the curry soup when I read it on the menu, but it was very flavorful. I dont like cilantro but I truly didnt mind it at all! The lettuce was so interesting and tasty with the pork. I wish there was a bit more pork but that is fine! The steak was juicy and the shrimp was cooked just right and their mash potato was spot on! The dessert was such a nice finishing touch. It was so nice that I would love to come back here with my husband one day!

Came for breakfast, but would love to try out the dinner menu. The cinnamon bun was to die for! Definitely have to try that! The breakfast was OK. We tried all three Bennys- the brisket was definitely the best. Our server was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant!

I was a bit disappointed on the food quality. They were all just mediocre. We received our appetizers within a reasonable time after ordering. After the appetizers, we waited for an extremely long time for our meal. The waitress and such all came and apologized. They gave us some fries to munch on while we waited. They said they were behind because there were a big crowd that they were serving. Anyway, the main courses were so so only honestly.

Came in for an early dinner with a large group of 13. The got us seated and pretty quickly. The food was delicious. The best kale Caesar salad I’ve ever had!

I have one of the worst steak in Calgary, very pricey, burnt and almost one third of my meat piece was unbeatable fat🤮. We waited for long time to be able to pay bill because for group of 8 people wanted to pay separately, the waitress did not stay till finish payment, we asked for replacement of potatoes with salads, they did not accept it! I would not come back again

My husband and I received a gift card to Charcut last Christmas and decided to use it for our anniversary. It was a special treat; food was delicious, drinks and service were great as well.

Croquettes were dry instead of juicy and soft, the truffle sauce was a necessity to add some moisture to them. Stuffed ravioli was good but too much oil for "sauce". Lastly I would expect a better steak for the price. In sum, food was a disappointment, drinks and service were good.

Best lunch deal you will find in under 30min. $20 gets you a top notch sandwich, fries and soup. This is how all fine restaurants should be doing their business lunches.

Had breakfast and dinner here as part of my stay in the Le Germain hotel. Kind of wish they opened a little earlier for breakfast but that’s not a big deal. Great food, the staff is friendly and informative and their happy hour is pretty good. And considering the location and ambience, it’s decently priced.

Wide variety of ice cream delights and vintage candies! They also have milkshakes, sundaes, and ice cream cakes! All of their ice creams are from Foothills Creamery, which is creamy and flavourful.

Simple and awesome experience. I asked him to get me his favorite and moose tracks was delicious. So many flavors to choose from, including lactose free and dairy free options. Great service and positive energy!

This place is absolutely lovely. I’ve been coming to this ice cream shop since I was a kid, and it just keeps getting better. The friendly staff always make my day, and there’s such a great variety of flavours, way more than most places! Plus, the scoops are big, which is always a bonus. If anyone’s looking for a good ice cream spot, I’d 100% recommend this one.

Cool old school Ice Cream shop with a lot of options of flavours of Ice Cream. A little pricy for one scoop of Ice Cream and the one chair I picked to sit on was like a rocking horse 😆 might want to fix or replace that chair. Cool for a visit.

My new go-to ice cream shoppe in Calgary has a whopping 72 flavours to choose from. I am a matcha lover and their ice cream tastes like a party in my mouth.

They have a huge selection of ice cream flavours from Foothills Creamery to choose from. Would recommend the liquorice ice cream and the funky monkey. They also have some seating and a large candy section too. A great place for ice cream.

A an absolute Calgary classic! If you're in the area it's always worth a stop! Lots of good options!

I drive for three hours to Calgary to get these beans for my pour overs. Phil and Sebastian has a rich history in how they came into being. And now with a competitive java scene in Calgary they are still holding their own. The service here at the Simmons Building in the East Village is AMAZING. They spend so much time guiding me to the right beans explaining every nuance. The space is so cool as part of a shared collective area. Cannot say enough! 5 x ☕☕☕☕☕

One of my fav places to go and work! The building they’re in is stunning, and unlike other cafes in downtown finding parking here is usually very easy. Staff is friendly, and drinks are great! Love that sidewalk citizen is right next to them in the same building for a yummy treat as well. Although it’s busy, it’s still a lovely place to come and work on the weekends! Afterwards, I love going on a walk near the river. 100% recommend.

A café inside an old Simmons mattress warehouse—what a unique setting! The atmosphere in a historic building just hits differently. Their flat white was seriously impressive—I could really taste the distinct flavors of the beans. I’m absolutely loving the light roast! The Mod Bar is stunning, and it’s great how it doesn’t obstruct the view of the baristas at work. That vintage espresso machine in the back also has such a cool vibe. Right next to the café is their roasting area—definitely coming back next time to grab a bag of beans!

They do things to a high level of quality I've to see it. Right next to the bike path and the water in the historic Simmons building. Great way to start your morning. The food is stellar they do brioche "eggslu7" style breakfast sandwiches. Highly recommended.

Greatly disappointed by the iced matcha latte I ordered today 08/17 at ~3pm. The drink tasted overwhelmingly like milk with a hint of matcha flavour. Had really high expectations considering what I have heard about the matcha here but this drink was an utter let down :(

My husband and I are visting from out of town, and were told this was a must visit cafe. They did not disappoint! Phil and Sebastian has some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. It’s always smooth and full of flavor. Money was so kind and helpful and really made the visit feel welcoming. We'll definitely be coming back while we are still here.

I visited this cat cafe today with my sister. They charge $12 for 30 minutes with the cats, but I think the time is too short considering there are only a few cats. Several people go in at the same time, and there are only about three or four toys available, which isn’t enough for everyone. Because of that, some people just end up watching the cats from afar while others use the toys. Also, you’re not allowed to hold the cats, put them on your lap, or cuddle them, which makes the experience less enjoyable. As a cat lover, I was hoping to spend more time interacting and bonding with them. The idea of the café is nice, but it could be improved with more time, more toys, and a little more freedom to interact with the cats.

The café area is spotless, the drinks and pastries are delicious, and the cat lounge is well-maintained and thoughtfully designed. It’s the perfect place to unwind, meet some furry friends, or even find your next forever pet. Whether you’re a cat lover or just looking for a unique, feel-good experience in Calgary, Regal Cat Café is a must-visit!

The cafe: service was great, they were really nice and answered any of my questions. I got the purrfect sunset with passion fruit substituted for peach and it was a pleasant surprise. The peach tea macron was also refreshing, however, a little sweet for my taste. Worth every bite. The cats: nice selection of merch and from local artists/creators. Lots of space for the kitties and humans to walk around and interact. Cats are available for adoption, one was already adopted during my visit. Bios for the cats are displayed on wall. All the rules were clear.

Visited Regal Cat Café in Kensington and it was such a sweet experience! The place is cozy and clean, with a relaxed vibe and very friend-staff who know their cats. I loved how the café area is totally separate from the “Kitty Kingdom” so the food smells are not mixed and the cats have their own space. The drinks and treats are delicious, and I appreciate the vegan and allergy-friendly options. Spending 30 minutes playing with adoptable cats is a joy—and knowing that it supports the MEOW Foundation makes the visit even better. I’ll definitely come back with friends. Highly recommend for anyone who loves cats, good coffee, and doing something nice for a cause! 🐱☕

The cafe has two areas, one cafe/food area with windows to watch the cat area and the cat room “kitty kingdom”. It’s free entry to the food area but $12 weekdays and $14 weekends to spend 30 minutes inside the room with the cats. My nephew loved it. The staff come out with treats at the beginning of the time to get the cats to gather. Kids under 10 need an adult chaperone. I appreciated the vegan cafe food options!

Great coffee, adorable cats for a notable cause. I visited with my wife arriving early to have a nice coffee before our reserved time with the cats (highly recommend the experience and booking in advance as they recommend) The staff were lively, kind and friendly and made a great brew. The location both in the cafe and the cat area was clean and adorably decorated with lots of local goodies relating to cats from kids books to arts and crafts around serving both as decor and things to buy. The cats are all ones up for adoption and we were so happy to see nearly all were soon to move into their new families (rooting for you as well Touqe!) They were given space and supervised while we got to just hangout with them. Their space and time is respected and they were very happy and content cats in a clean and cosy living area. Working alongside a charitable organisation they provided a lovely experience and one that I enjoyed thoroughly. If you enjoy cats and coffee please visit and support a local great cause.

Regal Cat Cafe is clearly ran with great patience and care. My niece & nephew really enjoyed the experience, especially how nice the space was for the kitties.

Delicious food. My partner has the vegan ginger "beef" with rice, and I had the pork belly banh mi. Both of us were shocked at our portion sizes, and I ended up taking half home for leftovers. It was spiced just right. The atmosphere in the location was wonderful. I had a mimosa and it was garnished beautifully.

I’m from France and currently on tour , I’ve spent a month in Calgary, and honestly, I’ve never found a place as good as this one. The food is incredible: fresh, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and full of variety : great for vegetarians, vegans, and meat lovers alike. The place is accessible, clean, warm, and authentic. The two owners (a wonderful married couple) are so kind and welcoming. You can really feel the love and care they put into their food and service. This is by far my favorite spot in Calgary ! I’m leaving soon, but as soon as I come back to Calgary, I’ll definitely be returning here. Thank you for such an excellent experience! Chris

I recently visited this amazing street eatery and had such a great experience! The place has a friendly, good vibe that makes you feel welcome right away. The staff were kind and quick with service, and everything looked clean and well-organized. I ordered the Carne Asada Bowl, and it was absolutely delicious! The meat was perfectly grilled, tender, and full of flavor. The toppings were fresh and balanced so well with the rest of the bowl. It was filling, tasty, and clearly made with care. This spot has definitely become one of my favorites – great food, warm service, and a nice atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back again soon!

I love their food. Especially they have plant-based options in their menu! I came here with my family. I ordered two plant-based meals for myself and my wife, and ordered one pasta for my kid. The plant-based food is excellent. The service is also very lovely. :)

Stopped by for early dinner at 5pm. Shared fish bao which were delicious. The soft bao bread was like eating a cloud with a good sized piece of fish. We had a burger called fuego which was a bit small but tasty and I had a chicken gojuchang sandwich which was delicious and huge. My friend tried the empanadas which she didn’t love as it came with a pile of corn tortilla chips. The atmosphere was nice. Small, quiet place and the server was super friendly and helpful. I’d like to try more items if in the area.

First time. Food was amazing. Can't wait to go back. It's not local for me but will be returning. I had the Bahn Mi with pork belly. I took the candied chilli's off cos too hot but such a tasty sandwich. And massive. Waffle fries were very good too.

We were eager to try this place out after seeing photos of their pastries online. The accessible door open button did not work which is important with a wheelchair and impossible if you came alone. My wife had the Black Forest Fog which she loved! I wanted the Praline Latte but they were out of the Praline flavouring and settled for the Moccacino Ganache latte which was tasty. I had the Moccacino croissant to go with the coffee. The outside was more dry than I would have liked but the inside was nice and gooey. My wife had the Mango Coconut which she really enjoyed and was rich in flavour. We each also had a Pain au Chocolate as they looked so good. Unfortunately they seemed quite lacking in chocolate (see photo). We would stop by for drinks but likely not the pastries.

If coffee and pastries aren’t your thing - they should be. This place is hands down the best Pâtisserie I’ve been too in Calgary. I seek out almond croissants in every city and town I venture through across Canada, and so far…I’ve found my #1 favourite. Make this your Sunday stop and try the real caramel latte and an almond croissant. You won’t be disappointed!!

High Tea is Amazing!!! The high tea is wonderful. Includes a variety of sandwiches, baked good and desserts. The staff is friendly. Come with an empty stomach so much yummy food!!

This used to be my favorite bakery, they had a terrific tiramisu I got one last week and it’s super dry and almost no coffee flavour in it Couldn’t finish it! Same happened with the Mille feuille and their hot chocolate Quality is declining I really hope they go back to their standards They used to offer exceptional products now it’s all dry and tasteless

Paired with a velvety latte, it was a moment of pure indulgence. I also enjoyed their pear croissant, but to be honest, every croissant I’ve tried here is in a league of its own. Whether filled with pear, raspberry, or Saskatoon berry, they’re consistently the best croissants I’ve found in Calgary. No shortcuts, no compromise. The dough is airy yet buttery, the fillings generous and refined. This is pastry with integrity. The coffee is equally well-crafted, offering smooth, bold flavor that speaks of quality beans and a good barista’s hand. While this is not an inexpensive place, it is true French patisserie, and every bite justifies the price. It is a treasure to be savored slowly. The shop is located conveniently on 17th Ave SW, with cozy indoor seating and a few outdoor tables. There’s a charm to the space, though I gently encourage a little upkeep in two areas: the baseboards and counters could use a fresh coat of paint, and the pastry display glass deserves a deep clean to let the beauty of their creations shine through. These are not complaints, but humble suggestions to further elevate the visual experience. We’ve also enjoyed their stand at the Calgary Farmer’s Market. It’s only a shame that, due to vendor regulations, they’re unable to serve their excellent coffee there. Staff are typically warm and welcoming, many of them Francophone. If you speak French, this is a perfect place to feel at home. Je vous souhaite beaucoup de succès et que votre passion pour la pâtisserie continue de fleurir à Calgary. Merci pour tant de délices. This place is a piece of Paris in the Canadian prairies. Don’t rush it, savor it.

If you're a coffee lover or a fan of incredible pastries, Black Sheep Patisserie is an absolute must-visit in Calgary. The coffee here is hands down the best I've had since arriving in Canada — rich, perfectly brewed, and smooth. The real star, though, is the selection of pastries. Each one is a work of art, but the **blueberry lavender croissant** is on another level. It's a heavenly balance of flavors — the blueberry is just the right amount of tart, and the subtle hint of lavender takes it to a whole new dimension. Truly, it’s *to die for*. Whether you're popping in for a coffee or indulging in a sweet treat, Black Sheep Patisserie delivers an exceptional experience every time. Highly recommend!

Went here for afternoon tea. This was not a typical afternoon tea. The pros are the croissants they offered were really good. Perfectly baked. The dessert provided was quite good. The savory items were ok. I didn't like the ham croissant sandwich. The salmon sandwich was good. I gave atmosphere a three out of five because we were placed in the back of the cafe. It is a small cafe. There wasn't much of a vibe in terms of music playing or anything. Cons: for afternoon tea this was way too much croissants! I get they are trying to do their own spin on afternoon tea but this felt like just a bunch of croissants I was eating. They could have cut back on the croissants (keep the almond and raspberry ones as they were delicious). I would have appreciated more savory items. You get a lot of food but there are a lot of croissants.

This is probably my favorite bakery in the city. It’s small but cozy, the staff is extremely friendly and the owner is very accommodating. I ordered my wedding cake here last year, and they were so pleasant to work with. I also ordered a cake for my husband’s birthday recently. Both cakes were moist, and the icing is delicious, and not cheap and sugary like some other places. You can tell that they take pride in their business. - The cakes are beautiful (see photos) and also very fairly priced. I will always order here, and definitely recommend them to anyone!

Google searched to find a cake shop today and it lead me to this gem! A last minute birthday cake order that we were able to pickup within a few hours. The chocolate cake was so perfectly chocolatey and the buttercream was just the right amount of not too sweet. So amazing… think I have found my new go-to cake shop!

Sweet Relief and Deidre created the perfect cake for our wedding. Communication was top-notch, the cake was delicious and it looked gorgeous! The cake was moist, not too sweet and the buttercream frosting was a gorgeous texture. We were recommended to get a 3 tier cake and it ended up being WAY too much cake for our wedding so we gave a lot of it away to the venue staff. I’m sure they were more than happy with it because it was delicious. We chose chocolate raspberry for the large tier and passionfruit vanilla for the top tiers. They were so accommodating with my requests for flavours and so good with design recommendations!! 10/10 experience. The cake got great praise from our guests!! Thank you Deidre and team!!

I have been to Sweet Relief a number of times now, both for my wedding cake and just for fun every day treats. The wedding cake was very reasonably priced and turned out amazing, both beautiful and delicious! They were so easy to work with throughout the process. For everyday treats, they have a great assortments of goods to choose from and everything is SO good. Would absolutely recommend if you are in the area!

We ordered the box where you get different flavors of cake. Very tasty but the red velvet was dry at the ends. There is not a designated parking lot, which makes it annoying when you want to visit. Overall, i would purchase it again!

We ordered a two tier Nanaimo Bar Cake for our wedding and it was absolutely delicious and incredibly beautiful. Our guests couldn't stop raving about it! Very moist and light, and not too sweet. The perfect cake!

Their ready-to-go cakes are great if you're looking for something in a pinch. I got the earl gray cake with blueberry frosting for a friends birthday, it was cute and everyone seemed to enjoy it. The cashier was also super helpful and friendly.

Used to be my go-to spot a few years ago, but the quality has consistently been going downhill. I stopped in for a chocolate croissant this morning and paid $5 for a dry, stale croissant with a tiny piece of chocolate in one half. Unfortunately the $1 grocery store ones are better.

The cakes look really cute. But they are just that…cute. You dont really get alot of actual cake because its 70% icing/cream. I dont think they are worth the price. I got the ginger cookie and loved it.

I’ve visited this bakery for years. When I was younger I used to save up my allowance to buy baked treats from this place because the pastries and customer service were always great. Recently though, I’ve found the staff have been super rude. Last time I went, the girl behind the counter was restocking some jars, and refused to acknowledge my presence. I totally get if you’re in the middle of something - but you can say hi and ask a customer to give you a minute. Prior to that a staff member was short with me for using the wrong term to describe a pastry with no label… Staff seem annoyed at the presence of paying customers. Really sucks because I’ve loved this place for years and after the way I was treated the past couple times - will not be coming back.

Management is disrespectful and wouldn’t take me seriously. Used to be a frequent flyer here but my last few visits have been awful. Cakes are dry, service is dry and am constantly being skipped over in line. While this used to be my great escape, I feel downright stressed coming here now. There are many wonderful small bakeries that exceed Yum’s quality and don’t charge an arm and a leg. I don’t recommend.

Dang we had an amazing brunch here this morning! I had the Polynesian beef sandwich with homemade soup. So fresh, so much flavour! My wife had the beet, brussel sprout, pecan salad and mushroom toasts with eggs. Generous portions, sophisticated flavours, and fast friendly service. Exceeded our expectations! Will definitely be back to try more dishes and hit their bakery cafe in the back!

Absolutely fabulous brunch experience at the Bistro! They have a very clean and friendly establishment. The patio and outdoor seating is very nice and dog friendly, with both shady and sunny spots and lots of walking traffic to enjoy people watching. The menu has a bit of everything, the gluten free bread option was good although a very seedy style. The drinks came quickly with options for orange, pineapple and grapefruit mimosa's, and the cesar also hit the spot. Portion size was perfect! Will definitely be putting this in the regular rotation and coming back to try the bakery inside!

Have been a long time enjoyer of Wow Bakery goodies despit them being a bit pricey. In my opinion I do feel like they open pretty late for a cafe, and upon arriving 15-20 minutes after opening, there was very little selection left and it was not even a weekend! Maybe business was just really good that day, but it was a bit disappointing to see. The pastries that I did grab, were good as usual!

Wow Bakery & Café is a wonderful spot in Calgary — very convenient location with easy parking nearby. The café is clean, bright, and tastefully decorated, creating a welcoming atmosphere that feels peaceful and well cared for. The pastries are beautiful, made with great attention to detail. There’s a nice selection of cookies, breads, and macarons, all of excellent quality. The coffee is rich and well prepared, more on the dark roast side — not my usual preference, but still very good. The staff are kind and attentive, and the service feels genuinely friendly. There are several seating options, both indoor and outdoor, making it a comfortable place to relax or meet friends. Cozy and bright spot in the heart of Marda Loop to enjoy tasty desserts and drinks. I tried the Belgian Chocolate Cake, it was rich in chocolate flavour; however, the texture was a bit dense. The Strawberry Matcha was good! There are many options to choose from, and the staff were kind.

A very clean location with a variety of baked goods. This bakery is a Korean based one Purchase their green tea chiffon cake ($32). The cakes made here have a wispy, light, fluffy, simplistic yet artsy look to them. Overall - Light in flavour meanwhile the cake is heavily doused in house made whipping cream (sweeter than any store bought one and without the artificial aftertaste, it makes you appreciate it a lot more). It is a very well made cake without having you feel weighed down. Even though the green colour really peaks through beautifully in this cake, the green tea wasn't strongly flavoured (for someone who loves green tea flavoured items, this may not be for you then) and I would say it was more of a hint of the green tea flavouring with majority of it tasting of a vanilla/egg base flavour (neutral tasting). The service is efficient and good here - also provides unique long candles for birthdays.

Not your typical bakery. You wont find much of a regular bread or buns there. However a lot of different type of sweets and cakes, snacks etc. Located In marda loop makes it a great stop by point, give it a try :) you can have a coffee and other snacks inside so that's a good idea for colder day!

First time here. A great selection! Tried the Earl Grey Swiss roll & the Meringue Cookies; AMAZING! Price is very reasonable. Looking forward to trying out the cakes! Very friendly staff and the store is tidy and inviting!

There are a lot of options for desserts here. They look delicious. Donuts and ice cream to add flavor your way. The store is clean, the decor is bright. The service is good. The store is good for takeout, no seating.

In theory, La Diperie is a sweet idea! However in practice its just okay. The dips are many and taste good! However some of the items are too overpriced for the quality and taste. I purchased an ice cream sandwich with a s’more dip but it was underwhelming at best. Additionally the sugar pie was extremely disappointing for the price I paid.

Just don't! Upon entry, the place smells like poop. Really, raw sewage! The ice cream is dipped in liquid sugar and no matter what 'flavour' you choose, it all tastes like a hardened sugar shell. The cost is outrageous! The staff really doesn't know anything about their products either. There are plenty of other dessert places along 17th avenue and in the area that are far superior to La Diperie which should really be La Diapery!

I would not recommend this place to anyone, so over price and the donuts are not freshly made. I got 6 donuts and paid $16 for them, they are more like mini donuts, not regular size. The plain donuts are taken out of the fridge and then dip into the frosting as you order. I don't even know how long the donuts have been in the fridge 😫 they tasted like they have been in the fridge for days 🤢 Even Tim give you a nice box for their donuts 😩

Extremely disappointed with the portion size for price. $10.45 for this slice of cheesecake that's about the same size as a plastic fork. This logic places a whole cake at over $100. Do yourself a favour and go to the actual cheesecake factory, this is an absolute joke. Would not recommend and will not order again.

It was a weird start experiencing this company. Emailed them. Then I messaged them on their website. After both were ignored, I called and they said they received nothing…then I was getting confused because they said something was discontinued on their site so orders can't be made online when I asked if I should go that route.…I dont know, not sure why it got complicated on something so simple. I reserved a key lime pie. The energy from the 3 looking at me awkwardly when I interrupted their conversation picking up seemed off. But hey! The pie was good, not cheap, but still, very good.

We recently visited the South Calgary Farmers Market location and met the lady that bakes the pies. We were looking for sugar pie like the one they use to have at there old location in Kensington. They didn't have it as its seasonal but recommended the pecan pie and even offered us one that came fresh out the oven. Omg it was so good! I think I like it better then the sugar pie! Eat with a glass of milk because it's a little sweet.

Pie clouds pumpkin cheesecake and key lime are beyond delicious! The crust is to die for, and the ingredients taste so fresh.

We bought a banana cream pie for $33 today. When we served the pie for dessert tonight, it was obvious the pie was not fresh. The banana slices in the pie were very browned and look inedible. This was very disappointing, especially considering the price.

Just had the best lemon meringue pie I’ve ever tasted in my life. I need to go back and try all the others, I wish they had mini sizes of the sweet pies so that I could eat them all… I love the south farmers market location, the Tiana was such a help today, the service is so friendly! Yummyyyyy

Oh my gosh. I tried the lavender rosemary cheesecake today and it is to die for. Even the kids inhaled it and asked for more. A perfect balance between the flavours - not too sweet but sweet enough. And neither the lavender or the rosemary were overpowering - very subtle and delicious. I could eat this every day lol.

A little on the pricey side but worth every penny. Love the key-lime:)

Went for an anniversary dinner. The restaurant was so beautiful and it was on our bucket list to try. To eat we had the olives, the bolognese pasta, and the 32oz steak. To drink we got a mojito and a stout beer. The pasta was the highlight the steak was okay. The focaccia bread was super salty. For the price, we have had better. As well, the service didn’t “fit” the restaurant (ex. The food would come as we still had our finished plates in front of us, once it got busy the manager had to step in to help…etc).

Teatro offers a refined dining experience with excellent service and atmosphere, which made it a great choice for a wedding venue. The food was very good overall, with the halibut as a highlight and the tiramisu fantastic. The pork dish was less enjoyable, with too much fat, but the rest of the meal more than made up for it.

Last week, I was hosted by Wanderluxe Destinations and some key travel advisors were invited. We had a private table in back, maybe 15 of us farm to table style. I have never dined here (always wanted to) always nice when you are hosted but my word, this was such an incredible experience. Your staff were exceptional and very intentive (I used to cater) and been in the travel business for 27yrs and very well travelled, plus hosted to many private events all over. The farm to table menu was so fabulous!! Food waste is also important and the fact that you packed things up for all of to take away meant so much. I got the left over short ribs and potatoes. Trust me husband and my 16yr old loved that. The food was so good, I am just so impressed. I have great pics just not sure how to include that in my review. I let Wanderluxe know (as they paid) we were happy.

Had a great time there. I had the 3 course lunch menu, surprisingly my favorite was butternut squash soup. It was perfectly seasoned and tasted delicious. The main course, the braised beef chuck, was also quite good. I wasn’t a big fan of the dessert though, didn’t really like the black sesame crust and it overall wasn’t very sweet. Amazing- was in the private dining room for a professional conference with a speaker & dinner. The food was incredible! Beat my expectations. The portion sizes were great. There was a piece of cardboard on top of my salad, but it made me laugh more than anything. I'm sure it was a weird accident.

We had the absolute pleasure of celebrating our anniversary at Teatro Restaurant in Calgary, and it was an unforgettable afternoon from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. On our table, there was a beautifully handwritten card signed by every single member of the staff, congratulating us on our special occasion ,such a thoughtful and personal touch that meant a lot to us. We were warmly hosted by Chef Camilo, whose presence added a personal and genuine charm to the night. Our server, Danielle, was exceptional, attentive, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. She recommended a bottle of wine that turned out to be just perfect for our afternoon. To start, we had the calamari and oysters, both fresh and absolutely delicious. For our main dishes, we shared the funghi pizza and the eggplant parmesan, which were rich in flavor and beautifully prepared. To finish, Chef Camilo personally brought out our dessert a stunning lemon cake that was the perfect sweet ending to an already incredible meal. The ambience and decor of Teatro are simply breathtaking elegant, intimate, and full of character. Every detail of the evening was curated to perfection. Thank you so much to Teatro, Chef Camilo, and our lovely server Danielle for making our anniversary so special. We’ll cherish the memories and definitely return soon.

Three of us shared a number of dishes starting with Caesar & green salad. Very good but the green had a bit too much dressing for our liking. Sausage was really tasty but a bit over cooked. Now the brisket & ribs were delicious & mouth watering. Well seasoned, needing no sauce. Our server was very friendly & attentive. Great job nice to see!!

I went around lunch time, it was pretty empty so that was good. We were greeted quickly and served drinks. The Mac and cheese was bland, but the brisket was delicious, the sauce was a little too sweet though. The sausage was good and the deep fried pickles were delicious. Crab cakes were forgettable. I tried all the sauces and my favorite was the maple bourbon. This was a good place to have a nice lunch, give it a try!

Solid 4.5. Had such a fun time here. Food was cooked well. Both the ribs and crab were very delicious. A bit pricy for the all you can eat but somewhat understandable. Outside patio needs a few more touches to enhance this to a 5 star experience. I will be back for sure. Just gotta save up so I can eat a few more creatures.

Oh my gosh- if you haven’t actually been to Bookers BBQ and Crab Shack you need to! First off. The Brisket burnt ends- so freaking good. The deep friend pickles. So good. The Crab is so fresh and tasty. You will absolutely not regret going. The first time I walked through the doors I was honestly speechless. It looks like a hole in the wall dive but you walk in and it’s so nice- and the first thing you smell is the meat smokers. You can’t walk in the door and not instantly be hungry. And we’ve never had to wait long for our food. So good.

We stayed across the road at Regal Suites on our visit from Wales, UK 6 days ago. Bookers is amazing. We didn't have a reservation but we wanted food and a table to watch Calgary Flames on TV, they gave us a stool seated table for 2 in front of the bar and TV's, perfect! We ordered 3 different brisket dishes and all were soooooo good. Bonnie the smoking oven and its chef do an awesome job. Everyone was so polite and helpful. Nothing negative to say about this place just some advice as i own a bar myself......Just hold back on the re-approach to table by waitresses. We were asked did we want another drink 3 times within 15 mins, i was only half way down my beer on the 3rd approach. When there is about an inch of liquid left in the glass that's the time to re-approach. Love this place and thank you.

Best BBQ I've ever had! Called and asked for a table for 10 and 2 high chairs, no problem at all! Lots of sitting room, great hostesses and even better servers! Our waitress Michelle was top notch kept our drinks full and made sure everything was good our entire stay. If your in Calgary I highly recommend you try this place out if you want bbq and a fun environment! I'll definitely be back!

We came here on a triple date, and were well accommodated. The service was great, the food was great as well. The portions are good sized, and the jumbalaya in my picture was a half size and was a good sized. The drinks were great. I have a verity. John Daly, Paloma, and hurricane. All were well prepared and easy to drink.

My boyfriend and went here for Valentine’s Day. We waited a bit for food because they had their 6 course menus running, however, they were very nice about it, and treated us very well otherwise we would have not waited as long as we did. When the food came we weren’t even mad, the chicken was OUTSTANDING, and the potatoes were to die for. I felt that the chairs weren’t as comfortable but we’re definitely gonna go again. I highly recommend it.

Always tremendous food, with top-notch presentation - we had the 'Alberta on the Plate' event: 4-course menu; excellent service, and very welcoming atmosphere.

TLDR great tasting menu for the price, great staff, nice enough atmosphere. A very well thought-out tasting menu, and great value for price for a downtown restaurant. The timing between dishes was okay. The dishes themselves flavour wise were a strong 4.5/5. The drinks were 5/5! I got the sweater weather, and the bar were fantastic and made my boyfriend an old fashioned even though it wasn’t on the drink menu. The potatoes from our main were verrrry undercooked, and our fish was overcooked. I figure it’s because the chorizo topping needed to cook longer than the cod, but with such a fatty fish the dish was still quite good all things considered. Dessert was better after letting it sit for a bit, it went from a 4.5 to a 5/5. A super crème brulee! The best parts of most of our meals were the sauces. Whoever their saucier is, they do an incredible job. 3 stars for the atmosphere because for a nicer restaurant I was surprised they didn’t offer coat check, and had no hooks for my handbag so it had to go on the floor (at least for the table we were seated at). It also took a bit of waiting around until we were sat, but we were about 5 minutes late for our reservation so that was on us 😅. The parking is free and in an enclosed lot, so no parallel parking needed!

This is an edit to an earlier review. First experince a bit negative, follow up experience was terrific!!!! Brunch at Yellow Door Bistro is slightly on a smaller scale but offers great variety. You have the regular menu which has many options from light to extravagant. This Sunday the 4 of us opted for the buffet. It was delicious! The selection was good, all dishes perfect temperature, and well stocked. Ranging from charcuterie and small bites to eggs bennedicts and scrambled eggs bacon and sausage. The buffet does also include a selection of desserts and today was exceptionally special with home made macaroons. My friends and I kicked off with mimosas and each enjoyed a cup of coffee (juice and coffee are both included in the price). Make sure you try the seasonal favorite like the chicken pot pie which was a nice little surprise. The restaurant is lovely and staff are attentive. Allison was always around to top up our coffee and clear up plates. Thank you. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back again.

Chose it as the easy and quick breakfast option as we were staying at the hotel..and what a mistake! Although emphasized that we have kids with us and they are hungry, every thing happened much later than perhaps if we had not informed them.. To order….! Had to get up and go find somebody to take my order…follow ups on order, plates,…salt…all came with delays and for food, the excuse was “sorry, we have only one person cooking…and many tables…”!!!!!! And the food also did not worth the waitC not too bad, but super average…and there it came at the end..18%, 20%,…etc. tip! 😆 We never went back…

Service was really slow during Valentine’s Day. However, the food was really good and made up for the couple hours wait. Our waiter was also really apologetic and understanding about the situation. Excited to try this place again when they’re not so busy. The GRILLED HALF CHICKEN COQ AU VIN was some of the best chicken I’ve ever had.

A local friend brought me here to take a look. The prices at the stalls are a bit higher than those at regular supermarkets, even though the produce comes directly from the farms. Still, many people are happy to spend here as a way to support the farmers.

Good one to visit during weekends. I find this kid friendly. Quite a bit of eating options. Vegetables are slightly priced higher than outside market ( may be because these are from farms - organic)

I volunteered at a food bank event held by the farmer's market. The market is very engaged with the community, and I had a great time trying some of the delicious, healthy food. I even bought some fresh vegetables and fruit! They sell homemade and organic produce, and the quality is excellent. If you're a first-time visitor, I'd recommend checking their hours before you go.

It was good, I think most produce and goods are organic hence the prices. They had variety of dine options which was good. They had icecream, coffee, Thai food etc . I got there 4:50pm so I couldn’t try anything. In my opinion, they close too early at 5pm on weekdays. I also wanted some fresh seafoods and I didn’t find lots of options. Live crabs can be pre-ordered though.. bananas are like $1.27/lb. Overall it was an OK experience.

Returned to this farmers market after a long hiatus and was pleasantly surprised at the diversity of products available here. A vast array of fresh produce from local growers as well as BC fruit was on display. I would say that the quality of almost all the products that I looked at was quite high as were the prices listed with them. The area of the market that I found reasonable prices was in the food court area. I believe that there were no less than 2 dozen food vendors and believe me that some of the freshly served food here was exceptional... A special shout out to Margaritas for their amazing Eastern European cuisine. I had a plate of cabbage roll, perogies w/bacon, bratwurst w/sauerkraut, and steam veggies for about $18..... Each item on the plate was Amazingly Good! Bottom Line: 8.5 out of 10

If you’re visiting the area, I highly recommend checking out Chippy Dude!🌹🌹 They specialize in fish and chips, and honestly, it was the best I’ve ever had. Everything was incredibly fresh, crispy, and absolutely perfect I’ve never had fish and chips like this before. One of the best parts is that instead of the usual fries, you can choose your own side. I chose the sweet potato croquette, and it was just perfect. Make sure to try the coleslaw too it’s the freshest and most flavorful I’ve ever tasted. Also, don’t miss out on their signature shrimp burger! The owner recommended it, and I’m so glad I tried it the patty is packed with whole, juicy shrimp. If you’re anywhere nearby, this place is a must visit!

We checked out the Calgary Farmer’s market South and had a great afternoon there. It’s not as big as the west market, but it has lots of great produce and food to enjoy from many different nationalities. Take a stroll around first before you decided what to buy. There are tasty looking desserts as well. I had the sumo ramen at Oishidesu Ramen Shack. It was delicious, hot, and rich, with tasty chicken, pork, beef and half a poached egg. The broth was great and you can choose the level of heat. I also had the Takoyaki which were excellent as well. My wife had the cod burger and potato croquet’s at Chippy Dude. It was huge, hot and crunchy and had nice crispy lettuce. The croquettes were tasty too. All in all, a great market with excellent food, lots of butchers, bakers and many other vendors from spices to alcohol.

My friend and I went to happy hour for the first time. Since it was during Stampede, everywhere was busy — and this bar was no exception. But what really surprised me were the happy hour drink prices and the food! Especially the food! There weren’t a lot of options on the menu, but the portions were generous and everything tasted amazing.

What a lucky find! We were searching for a brewery near our hotel and stumbled upon this place just 150 meters away. We stayed at the Residence Inn. It was a no-brainer, and we were absolutely thrilled with our discovery! The beer selection was fantastic; my husband was a huge fan of their Tokyo Drift, and I particularly enjoyed the Hazy IPA. The atmosphere was spot-on – a great vibe with the music at a perfect volume. The food was also delicious. We shared the shrimp linguine (a little pricey and no garlic bread, but tasted good) and the beef birria nachos, this one was generously portioned and paired really well with their green goddess dip. And the cheesecake wrapped in phyllo pastry with a berry compote? Pure genius! It's a must-try. All the servers were friendly, but Jasmine was exceptional. She was awesome and gave us some great recommendations not just for their offerings at Last Best but also for exploring the Calgary area. We loved it so much, we actually came back the following night for another round of craft beers! We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area.

I had an okay experience at Last Best. The biggest highlight was the lively atmosphere on a Thursday night – it was bustling, which added a fun vibe. The happy hour pricing was definitely a plus and made the visit worthwhile from a value standpoint. As for the food, it was just average. Nothing really stood out or wowed me, so if you're going for the culinary experience, you might be left a bit underwhelmed. Overall, it's a solid spot for drinks and a social evening, but don’t expect anything too memorable from the menu.

Great spot for casual drinks and bites. The beer selection is solid—lots of local brews and rotating taps to keep things interesting. We grabbed a few small plates (duck wings were a standout) and everything came out quick and tasty. The vibe is relaxed and a bit trendy, with cool decor and a nice patio when the weather’s good. Good place to hang out with friends or kick off a night out. Would definitely come back.

Gorgeous restaurant, great vibes for a relaxing night. The Cubano and Korean sandwiches are both flavour bombs. The cubano was the best cubano I've ever had including in Miami. Their electric avenue salad is well balanced, and offers a nice sweet, sour and savory profile. Service was fast and friendly, and they have some great beers.

I stopped by Last Best briefly for their burger. The food was decent but not memorable, the place had a decent vibe, so I’d give it 6.5/10.

From my Chowdown YYC page: Took the kids for burgers and shakes to Regrub. This one was a recommendation from the page and yep, all 4 kids gave thumbs up. One tried the corn dogs. They came as minis and they were “like amazing”. The rest had Vintage Burgers. I tried the Smoke N’ Fire Burger. Jalapeño Jack Cheese, Habanero Pineapple Salsa and Spicy Aioli. Burger was solid. Char on the patty and the flavours gave it kick without being over spicy. The burgers came with fries that had a nice seasoning salt. Took advantage of Regrub hour and had a $4 Cold Garden beer. Can’t go wrong there. Finished up with shakes. They have some wild ones with cotton candy and deep fried Oreos. Kids were stuffed and the trainer is watching so we kept it a little calmer. Root beer chocolate, cheery and blue berry. Mom says they are to die for. Pretty good for parking and kid friendly. It was a good recommendation and we will be back.

This is a completely different atmosphere from the Deerfoot City location - a more adult one in tune with the neighbourhood. There was a guy playing music, the burgers taste much better and come with some great beer. Didn't try the milkshake, maybe next time!

We ate here the two nights we were in Calgary. The customer service is top notch - a warm, friendly welcome both nights! Food is absolutely awesome, and the portion sizes are good value for what you pay. The strawberry milkshake was one of the best we've had, and the burgers were cooked just right. The fries are also worth a mention - the seasoning they use on them makes them sooo good! If you're in the area then definitely check these guys out - some of the best food we've had in Canada!

I had a fantastic experience at this burger joint, ordering the Vintage Bacon and Cheese Burger with fries and a Vintage Blueberry Milkshake. The burger was cooked to perfection, with a juicy patty, crisp bacon, and melty cheese, all served on a fresh bun. The fries were golden and crispy, making for a satisfying side. The blueberry milkshake was a standout, creamy and full of flavor, not too sweet—just right. What I appreciated most was the relaxed atmosphere around 8 PM; it wasn’t too noisy, allowing me to enjoy the meal comfortably. Overall, great food and a pleasant dining experience!

What a wonderful local business, so happy to have part of our community. It’s part retail, deli and bakery, and full serve restaurant. Retail: amazing selection of European products, take me back to Germany, and reasonable prices. Excellent selection of seasonal products, gifts, confectionary and pantry goods. Nicely organized and fun to browse through. Restaurant: wide selection of menu items including daily features. Everything looked tasty and authentic. Service that day was particular slow though, it took almost 30 minutes for the server to take our order. Worth the wait if we didn’t have to go back to work. Otherwise, retail staff are very friendly. Will be back, but will try to avoid peak times.

I just went for a cup of coffee and enjoyed sitting out in their sunroom where I could watch life pass by on the street. But I accompanied my coffee with a very flavourful slice of apple strudel. There were so many more tasty looking items in the deli that I will sure to be returning soon. I also noticed they have a very good selection of items in their bakery, and that's always something I want to check out. 🇨🇦♿️

While Edelweiss Village presents itself as a purveyor of European, indeed, particularly German experience, the reality is somewhat less aligned with this advertised identity. The establishment employs a number of staff of Slavic and Near Eastern origin, which, though no fault in itself, sits uneasily with the very specific cultural narrative the business claims to embody. One does not after all object to diversity of staffing, rather the difficulty lies in the gap between the promise of "authenticity" and the actuality delivered. If the intention is to cultivate a truly European ambience, then greater consistency between branding and execution would be most welcome.

My wife and her friend are loyal customers here and always enjoy the food, atmosphere, and friendly service. They visit at least once a month, and my wife has been wanting to bring me along too — though my schedule hasn’t allowed it yet since my days off happen to be when the restaurant is closed. I’m still looking forward to experiencing it for myself soon. On one visit, there was a small billing error where my wife was charged for three cakes instead of two. When she noticed the mistake after getting home, she called the restaurant, and the manager was very polite, apologetic, and assured her that she could bring the receipt next time for a refund or a complimentary cake. That thoughtful response was appreciated and left a good impression. A little over a month later, when she returned and mentioned the overcharge, the manager kindly honored the credit but added that it was a “one-time exception” and that future credits should be redeemed within a month. While we understand that policies help keep things organized, the comment felt a little unnecessary and slightly dampened the otherwise positive experience. It created the impression perhaps unintentionally that customers might lose their credit if they don’t claim it quickly, which can affect trust. We still appreciate the restaurant and the quality of food and service it provides, and we intend to keep coming back. Our feedback is simply meant to encourage an even better customer experience. Mistakes happen, but how they’re handled can make all the difference and a warm, no-conditions approach to correcting them would leave guests feeling even more valued and eager to return.

This store is a must in Calgary! Truely a hidden gem. They have so many amazing European treats including a fantastic traditional bakery. It's also really magical at Christmas time. A place worth going out of your way for.
