For breakfast or mid day snack this place is the best. Freshly baked cinnamon rolls that taste soo good. I could recommend the chocolaty one and the one with raspberry and white chocolate!

Those cinnamon rolls are soooo good! Many different flavors and so fluffy. The ambience inside is not very welcoming and the staff seemed quite stressed and could be a bit more friendly. But still, I’ll be back for the rolls!

OMG ! The best Rolls & Buns I ever had.. Not too sweet, very fresh, very soft, too good.. Please start delivering (Wolt / Lieferando). Unfortunately the service was not good for me. One of the lady stuff was not very welcoming; I probably spent 2-3 minutes looking at all the buns and rolls. All of those were so tempting that I couldn't decide which ones to take and which ones to skip. When the female employee realized that I was here for the first time and I was confused so I ordered 2 of them randomly, she made a strange facial expression, smiled at her colleague, and then staring at me with a funny expression. It was extremely awkward. However, there was only one German female customer behind me, she must have noticed the whole thing in those 3-4 minutes; after I paid, she looked at me with a smile and said that she also likes the walnut bun that I took; & said that she hopes I will like it too. I thanked her, exchanged gratitude and left the store. I have encountered racist people many times in many places, so these days they don't bother me much, but if that female staff reads my comment, I will request her to be a little more humane towards everyone. But yes if I get a chance I will definitely visit this store again in the future.

Really lovely bakery! Happy for all the vegetarian options too. We tried the sandwiches (egg and hummus), herbed cheese and vegetable sandwich, a pretzel, rhubarb coffee cake, iced and hot americano. It was really busy but the staff helped everyone quickly while also organizing the pastry case so it looked appealing. Coffee was made well too. Seating is a little limited but it seemed to accommodate everyone okay on a really rainy morning. The bread quality is fantastic and all dishes are composed well. The balance of flavors and textures really pleased us after a good workout.

Fluffy cinnamon rolls are very delicious and light not too sugary. The cappuccino is ok but the espresso is not that good. It needs to be more consistent and concentrated. The location is nice and you can set outside in the warm weather. However the trolley was full for returning the empty plates. This can be improved in the future.

This is a truly impressive repository of titles. I was delighted to find several specific journals I had not located elsewhere. The atmosphere is quiet and wonderfully conducive to focused browsing. A splendid way to spend an afternoon.

When you arrive you can see the line outside the shop because the pastries taste very good. They have plenty of bread and pastries. All of them look very good and you want to take it all. LOL. They also have coffee, tea, and soda. They have 6 tables inside, bar seats inside available for you and if you want to enjoy the sun they have 4 tables outside as well. You can see through the pastries to see how they can make delicious things. The staffs are nice and friendly. They can speak English very well. The price is reasonable. They have no parking space. The shop is easy to find. The waiting time is around 3-5 min. You can use the card and cash.

This place was always packed. I visited it twice and both times I have to wait around 15-25 minutes in the queue because they always full. If you really crave a good sourdough and coffee, then it would worth the wait. But if not, maybe this place is not for you. Cause even after a long wait, the cafe is not really comfy for a casual chat with friends due to the crowd. But again other than the atmosphere, they really do have good food and coffee. I saw a lot of online review praising their sourdough and they were indeed good, but what comes to my attention was their “banana bread” (I forgot the exact name, correct me if I’m wrong), and very surprised how of delicious it was! The prices was ok. I would recommend coming to this place not on their busy hours.

This place was amazing!! Everything we had was delightful, but the plain sliced sourdough bread with butter was truly the star and I would have eaten a whole loaf by myself if I hadn’t ordered other food!!

I'm having a bit of trouble giving as fair a review as possible. The food was excellent, the service very friendly and attentive, but... ...the cappuccino was not 'overly large,' and I had some doubts about the 'freshly squeezed orange juice' as to its origin (but maybe I'm doing them an injustice). The retro 80s 'disco' chairs on the terrace were uncomfortably 40 years ago and remain so ever since. With a total price of €23 for omelette, coffee, and juice, I've left with a lightly ambivalent feeling.

The Fig bread was the best!:) And the „Choko queen“ Bread was also delicious! Hmm.. The fruit in the Gegrilltes Brioche mit aufgeschlagener Ricotta was really not my taste. But the avocado toast was perfect, THE OLIVE OIL on it smells AMAZING!!!

I went there with a vegetarian friend from India, and we were both absolutely impressed! The bread and dishes were outstanding – some of the best I’ve ever had. The avocado toast with poached egg was a real highlight, and the coffee was excellent as well. A wonderful place and a must-visit for anyone looking for a great breakfast spot in Frankfurt.

We visited Mehlwassersalz for breakfast and had a somewhat mixed experience. The pancakes were delicious, topped with seeds and whipped cream, and the coffee was excellent, rich and aromatic. They served bread with butter before the main dishes arrived, which was a nice touch and very enjoyable. However, the rest of the meal was not particularly special or tasty, especially considering the price we paid. The mushroom toast, while visually appealing, didn't quite meet our expectations in terms of flavor. Same applies to spinach omelette as well. Additionally, the service left much to be desired. If you have to stand up to take the cutlery, you get a bad impression of the service. On a positive note, the atmosphere of the café is pleasant, with a spacious and cozy interior. Despite the shortcomings, it has potential and might be worth a visit for the pancakes and coffee alone.

High quality handwork, perpared in their own bakery in the back .This is one of the last small bakers, that make everything on site. A must try are the typical tasty Haddekuchen, great to have with coffee ot tea. They also make a nice gift. They also offer great cakes. Support the local shops!

This restaurant has stunning views that create a nice atmosphere for dining. Unfortunately, it was uncomfortably hot both inside and outside. The staff seemed busy and service wasn’t the most attentive or efficient. The food was okay, but lacked flavor and seasoning. Overall, it’s a good spot to enjoy, but not the best choice if you’re looking for top-notch food and service.

The sky bar is lovely, but unfortunately not the coolest one you can visit in the area! However, the à la carte restaurant is open until 12:00, which is a definite plus if you want a meal later in the evening. Beautiful view, but as mentioned, it is blocked by other buildings, which prevents me from giving a top rating. The steak was absolutely fantastic. We went for fries as a side dish, and it was definitely the right choice. The only downside was that the salad was a bit too simple, and the fries were served without any dip. All in all, very satisfied with the visit! A big downside is the additional cost for water and ketchup, which totaled 7 euros alone.

A great spot, especially for the fantastic rooftop terrace with views over the city. It's located right in the Skyline Plaza, making it super convenient for a break from shopping or for after-work drinks. We just went for cocktails and the selection was good and the drinks were well-made. It can get very busy, so be prepared for a lively atmosphere, but the view and vibes are worth it.

I had dinner with my friends at Alex, a popular restaurant in Frankfurt that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. On the other hand, my friend ordered the Alex cheeseburger, which was slightly better than average. It seems that the burger was more palatable compared to the chicken schnitzel. Tye special winter mules that i tried was tasty. In terms of service, I must say that the restaurant needs significant attention and improvement. The customer service was poor, exemplified by an incident where the waiter raised his voice at my friend because he couldn't hear his answer regarding his dessert order. The crowded nature of the place seemed to overwhelm and stress the staff, leading to mistakes being made. To enhance the customer experience and reduce mistakes among the staff, my recommendation would be to have more staff members available. Overall, my experience at Alex was not entirely satisfactory. While the menu offered interesting options from various cuisines, the execution of the dishes, particularly the chicken schnitzel, left much to be desired. Additionally, the poor customer service and overwhelmed staff further detracted from the overall dining experience. It is my hope that the restaurant takes these criticisms constructively and works towards improving their food quality, service, and staffing to provide a better experience for their customers.

The views of the Frankfurt city are amazing!! Perfect for a day or evening out. Recommend reserving in advance as the place is always full.

I went for brunch with friends — the location is very nice, the food was tasty with a nice variety to choose from. Service was friendly and efficient. The only downside was the noise; we were seated in an area with lots of families, which made it hard to have a conversation at the table.

The food was not bad, but I went there with a Muslim friend who prayed in a corner, it was at 15:00 in the afternoon and the restaurant was almost empty, yet one of the waiters told us afterwards that we are not allowed to do that again there and it would be a problem for the restaurant owner to see a Muslim praying there! My friend is such a peaceful looking lady that needed to pray and didn’t take much space to perform her prayers! I found it disturbing and racist and definitely wouldn’t go again! Don’t support xenophobic businesses please!

I visited Mainkai Cafe for their warm Apple Strudel. It comes with vanilla ice cream and cream. Taste was very good. Additionally we ordered potato wedges and hot chocolate that was decent. Small outlet but a Good place to visit.

We came here two years ago and had to come back while visiting Frankfurt. We got the Turkish meatballs, mozzarella salad, and schnitzel with green sauce. The food was fresh and satisfying, but not quite as good as we remember it. We love fresh salad, so this is a great place, as both entrees came with a side salad. It offers a great view of the river if you sit outside. Our server Victoria was kind.

The interior exudes a cozy charm, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists. Outdoor seating was available, though is limited with tables reserved for guests during peak times. Prices at Mainkai Café are on the higher side, which can be attributed to its prime location and the quality of service provided. The café offers a diverse menu, including breakfast items, light lunches, and a variety of beverages. On a recent visit, we tried the latte, tea, and a warm apple strudel. While all were enjoyable, they were not exceptional. Service on the other hand was exceptional and attentive.

I enjoyed my meal here. the staff were kind and courteous of me with my limited German speaking. The food was fresh and delicious. the view of the river was beautiful. No complaints!

We came to this place attracted by the good reviews and the nice spot right next to the river. There was a big queue in order to take a seat and we decided it seemed worthy, so we waited for approximately 30 minutes before taking a seat. Unfortunately the experience didn't live up the expectations. We ordered 4 gourmet breakfasts with some coffee. The coffees came first and they were alright, the problem is that the breakfasts for 4 people took almost one hour to come to the table so by that time the coffees were more than cold. I can understand that some complex elaboration dishes like a paella can take some time, but almost one hour for 4 breakfasts consisting in 1 piece of smoked salmon, 4 pieces of supermarket cheese, a piece of brie, ham, cucumber tomato and two fried eggs can't take such an amount of time. Additionally when the food came they only brought 3 of the breakfasts, making one of our friends wait for 15 minutes more before we told them we wanted the last one fast or we would not pay anything. Also the price was extremely high for the quality and the amount of food; 25 euros for the breakfast attached here made me feel a little bit scammed. We will not come back.

Great breakfasts. Friendliest staff in Frankfurt maybe. Once my ring fell under the table and into a deep cavity in the road outside. Technically part of their restaurant premises. They immediately helped to literally go down onto the ditch and retrieve it. Very cool people. Also great view. And the man who runs it is also very cool and welcoming.

I was there for a coffee, then it turned into a full meal 😋 They have an extensive menu covering everything I possibly want. Food is delicious, service is great. I noticed a staff brought water for the dogs immediately after the owners sat down. They were attentive yet they give you plenty of personal space. Not to mention great views of the riverside if you sit outdoors. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

Food looks amazing and tastes very good. The interior is really astonishing. We had to eat outside on a small table which wasn’t really our plan but it was still fine. Lots of choices to eat. Will definitely visit again and try the other pastries and shushi.

Almost everything about this cafeteria is amazing. You might find yourself lost amongst the range of options they have to offer - both for drinks and food. Location is amazing and cannot be better - right in the heart of Dom Römer. The staff speaks English and is really sweet - so that helps. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. I'd definitely recommend this place for a date, or just visiting casually. Prices might feel a little higher than usual, but again - the general ambience of the place and the atmosphere around it compensates for the prices!

Pros: The cake quality is exceptional, and there is a wide variety with creative flavors. Cons: The service could be more attentive and efficient. Verdict: This place is great for cake lovers; with improved service, it would easily earn five stars.

Almost the cakes we tried were good (except for the Matcha Roll which had no matcha taste at all and was very bland, felt like eating just a sponge cake with a layer of heavy cream). Matcha smoothie was nice, so was warm Yuzu tea. The staff seemed not to be friendly, most of them showed a flat face.

The place looks amazing however the cake is so heavy after one bite I thought wow one bite is enough. Prices generally around 6-7€ so if you're looking for a place to meet it's nice but if you're coming for taste experience then unfortunately I don't recommend according to my experience.

I don’t know how to start with this place. Tue vibe is super nice and the place takes you to another place. Maybe Alice in the wonderland. The chocolate is super delicious. The lemon cake was so vibrant and good! Whenever you order a drink they bring you many sugar variants to choose from. The price is reasonable and the staff loves what they do. Totally recommend it!

Really nice bakery with a cozy ambience, with mixed modern and antique vibes. Love their pastries, especially recommend trying caramel tartlets, it has a unique taste. On the other hand, the home-made lemonade is not their best drink. Overall, a must visit on any day of the year.

A small cozy Cafe with good looking display of chocolate sweets and cakes that look absolutely very convincing. Nice and adequate service. Interior has red draperies , lovely furniture and decorated with interesting wallpapers figures. It’s hard to say which style it is, but somehow classic. All together that making creates a good drama, and I like it. I had mango coconut cake that looks pretty but tastes creamy, heavy... it’s not what I expected but I can accept it.

We arrived here after an overnight flight from the states and they were PACKED. They were very up front that they could not serve us right away, but would be happy to seat us. We were thrilled. The food that was ordered was fresh and delicious - such an amazing little spot!

This is a really nice and relaxed place. We came here for lunch with our kids and it was easy to find options for everyone. The outdoor space made it easy for the kids to entertain themselves once they were done with their food. There's also a small playground in a neighboring courtyard. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and efficient, and the service was prompt. We'll definitely be coming here again.

This Cafe has many seats but unfortunately too few staff who can take orders and checkouts. We had to wait and struggled for a long time until we finally got some notice. Food was good, I especially liked the bagel I ordered in addition. It was served warm and had slightly crunchy surface.

This place is very well decorated with details of fresh flowers at every table on beautiful terrace and inside seating. I got the marrakech breakfast which was cold when it got to my table, probably because the service was SLOW and unprofessional (while I was there servers dropped trays of drinks/food twice). The carrot cake was the best part but I paired it with an espresso that lacking in size. You can pay by card but they like many places in Frankfurt don’t have wifi. They are connected to the museum.

Came here by chance on a Friday night when other spots were full, and it turned out to be a pleasant find! The restaurant is right next to the metro station, making it very convenient. Spacious, nice outdoor seating, and a chill vibe. Service was pretty slow, but the staff was genuinely friendly, so we didn’t mind too much. Food was good, though not a lot of meat options for dinner—maybe because of the Middle Eastern influence? What we did try was solid: - Lamb chops – Nicely seasoned, but slightly dry. The polenta was smooth and flavorful. - Octopus – Cooked beautifully, tender with a nice hint of lemon that made it even better. Overall, a nice spot for a laid-back dinner, especially if you enjoy Mediterranean/Middle Eastern flavors.

They are really kind and sweet! Location and atmosphere are also cute. But the drink price is a little higher than how it was, in my opinion. Food was so nice and I loved their selection of cheese on the platter.

Very solid and fresh brunch options with a great outdoor space to enjoy yourself before conquering Frankfurt’s old town and River Main walk. The bagel was fairly priced and was largely portioned, though it will not leave you bloated.

I second another review: yes, the pancakes with fried chicken taste very nice! Good combination of sweet and savoury. Relaxing atmosphere and friendly service as well. A perfect stopping point after visiting the Schirn gallery.

We come here sometimes especially in the beginning of the week when we don’t have to work at our own venue. My favorites are the sandwiches, the tuna one 1️⃣ is super delicious. The sour dough bread is extremely tasty. I like Oatmilk on my cappuccino, no problem with sugar mama, always there are nice milk alternative choices. It can get sometimes quite busy at the counter but we always had a good experience with staff. I can’t really follow certain reviews here. Service is very friendly. A few words to the bathrooms. There’s only one for all - but it is very clean and shiny with a personal touch. This is very good other places should copy that. The only minus point for me is that cards are not accepted - it’s cash only. In 2024 this is in my opinion a necessary feature, it will raise the proceeds and it’s also easier for accounting (own experience). Card terminals are nowadays very affordable without monthly fees or rents with many low fee and non contract providers. Personally I will spend more money if I could pay with card/phone and it’s uncomfortable to search and seek an ATM. But everybody has the choice - we will come back anyways as we really like the place and these were just few critics :) 5 stars

Pros: - the Cafés charming interior - the coffee tastes great - friendly service Cons: - we waited 35mins for 2 pieces of cake and coffee - the bar and kitchen looked like a bomb exploded in there (which was rather funny than concerning) Perhaps our desire for coffee in the afternoon wasn't such a unique idea, which is why the café seemed completely overwhelmed by the number of guests and orders. If you see the barista spinning bottles and cups around hectically, I would recommend ordering to-go.

Wonderful place to grab a drink and a cake next to the Main River. My family and I were greeted with a warm welcome as we walked in, which is a pleasant surprise in Frankfurt. My wife ordered the Vegan Chocolate Cake, our kids had a warmed up brownie with ice cream on top, and I enjoyed some kind of yummy apple cake creation. Sugar Mama offers plenty of seating both inside and outside. We opted to savor our desserts outside while taking in a beautiful Frankfurt sunset. This was our first visit, but certainly won’t be our last. 😀

Very nice place to have a coffee and a conversation. Would recommend :) the glasses are big, so that's nice. Maybe the prices were a bit expensive, but I feel it's worth it based on the taste and feeling of the place. Plus it's in the city center so that's nice too.

Great brunch place, full of options of both savory and sweets, very hard to choose from! Not cheap, but beautiful and tasty. Place was full but we were able to find a table to sit. Everything takes time to be prepared or heated, so go with time. Really recommended for a slow pace brunch :) Though it's "Sugar Mama", would be nice to have some sugar-free sweets option as well :)

This place is so chaotic. I waited 30 minutes for my espresso when I was the only customer there. The two girls running the front literally went on a tandem bike ride as soon as I ordered my coffee. When I came it was cold, I went back in and told them I’d like it hot, took another 20 minutes to get my hot espresso. I won’t be coming back here because the service was such trash. The food was good but also cold in the middle

Very nice Cafe with the best coffee I've had here in Frankfurt, and some very nice salads too! They have a fair amount of outdoor seating and it's all old tables chairs and sofas like from someone's house which is kind of cool. Well worth a visit! The salad had zucchini made like spaghetti which was wonderful.

Just visited the Glauburg Café with two of my dear friends, and it was truly an exceptional experience. What made it particularly special was that my friends were already well-known by the staff, which set such a welcoming tone. The service was beyond anything I have experienced in Germany before: it felt genuinely like being hosted by a friend. Every wish we had was taken into account in a completely effortless and friendly manner. The food and drinks were not only delicious but beautifully presented, and the entire atmosphere was relaxed and accommodating. I had heard about Glauburg Café before, but this was my first visit - and it certainly will not be the last. In fact, the highlight was sharing it with dear friends, which made it all the more memorable. I could not have wished for more from a café visit.

Very cozy friendly brunch place with nice outdoor seating. Service is really great even in their busy hours. Their special dishes apart from those traditional offers are: Antipasti Sandwiche - it’s vegan but very tasty! Carrot cake, apple cake and etc. Obst Salat - if you decide go health and light. Btw they have strong coffee that I like a lot. More importantly make reservation in advance during weekends.

This is so far the best place in Frankfurt! You can get Fabolous drinks and a super tasty breakfast here! The attention is unique and they take care about all the details, since you cross the door the most important part for them is make you feel comfortable. The menu is created with many options, so if you are vegan or love of good ham for sure that you will find an option that fit your necesities.

My favorite Cafe in Frankfurt! They have a great selection of food for breakfast and lunch, and great drinks. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. They make a mean Carrot Cake if you want a little something sweet.

Awful experience. We were rudely told to sit to be served. Ten minutes later saw the waitress serve others just arrived. I asked why we are not served, she said she never saw us. We were in plain site. I guess they did not like english speaking tourists.

This is a beautiful spot in Frankfurt. Hidden just a few steps away from the main shopping street, you find this café. They offer great coffee and tasty cakes and pastry. The service is friendly, and there is a typical Frankfurt atmosphere that surrounds you. A must when around!

Small café with solid breakfast options. Rather busy on Sundays with people picking up pastry takeaways. Müsli / fruit salad choices are good. Coffee was okay but could've been better. Croissants are very fresh and delicious. Maultaschen soup was rather salty.

Cozy place with a lovely smiling staff. It has that vintage vibes as if the time has stopped inside this cafe: old furniture, antique cash desk, huge cake portions - all under the dim light. Bonus: the food is fairly cheap as for Frankfurt.

To eat breakfast here you would always get what is really fresh tasty, and fairly priced for the quality. I would recommend it.

It's a bakery with all kind of bread, pastry and snacks. The staff was amazing and very nice. It's a small cozy place with super delicious food and drinks hot and cold. I had a sandwich with salmon arugula and egg, a salad on the side and a latte machiatto with chocolate on top. Very delicious!!! If you looking for a nice breakfast or brunch place or just some nice coffee then this is definitely the spot! I will be back 😏

Wow! The sandwiches and pastries at this ship are DELICIOUS. My husband and I both ordered sandwiches and we shared a pastry. The prices were very affordable ($11.00 for our entire lunch). We had their famous Black Forest cake and cheese cake, both were delectable. It was hard to find good Black Forest cakes in Germany and we are glad to have found this place and enjoyed a taste of Germany here. The baker/owner of the bakery was incredibly kind and we hope to come back for the carrot cake (owner said usually available around Easter only) one day! ♥️😌

Tiny little gem of a bakery in Frankfurt’s old town! ConditCouture is perfect if you love really good cakes, pastries, and sweets. The Frankfurter Kranz was one of the best I’ve tried, the staff are friendly, and everything feels high-quality and carefully made. Cozy atmosphere and a great place for a treat or a gift when exploring around Römer.

Delicious cakes. We went three times in two days. The Frankfurter Means cake was my favorite, however all of the cakes are winners. The staff is friendly and the kucken is fresh. Come here and have slice with a cup of coffee!

The carrot cake was so moist and delicious and the best carrot cake I have ever had. I have travelled throughout North America, Asia, and Europe eating many carrot cakes. The Frankfurt Kranz was creamy, very sweet but the cake part was very dry. The hot chocolate was delicious. The Bethmannchen cookie was delicious with a marzipan taste. There are about 15 tables immediately outside of ConditCouture, with about 5 empty tables on a Saturday afternoon around 4pm. The shop is located on the periphery of the Romer-Romerberg plaza.

Wandering around the old town, you might suddenly want something sweet. Good news, there's a great place for a break with yummy cakes. You can grab a coffee to go with them and chill out. It's the perfect spot to recharge and keep exploring.

The staff is attentive, they were patient with me when I tried to speak in German (they speak English). The apple strudel is good, not cloying, consistent pieces of fruit, good balance of flavors and texture. The blueberry pie wasn't the best, it had a sour aftertaste which I attribute to the fact that they don't use too much sugar which I think is great.

The most lovely service I have seen in this city. Friendly and helpful! There is a huge variety of cakes available. They are all made in house. Flavors were good. The coffee tasted very good. We will certainly come again to try out more cakes.

So many good things to say about our dinner here but some disappointments. We travel a lot and try to find these dining experiences at least once per trip. It's always a treat! We found the atmosphere to be great - very busy but not too loud. Service was extremely friendly and they did a great job translating complicated dishes to English. That said, some courses were brought out before the previous round had been finished and/or cleared which was a bit sloppy for this level of dining. The 10 course meal was good, the right amount of food, and well-balanced but some dishes seemed to be missing a sauce or lacking salt while others were excellent. Few dishes "wow'd" us though, which we were expecting. Overall it was a great experience but far from perfect. Cheers!

The food was not quite as tasty as it was before. Small portions with interesting flavors and combinations but there was something missing. Didn’t catch me at all this time. The service was nice but most of the girls had some kind of attitude. The loving kind of 'feeling at home away from home' feeling was missing. Atmosphere was suffering because of that and the chairs are really uncomfortable ---- A small edit after the owners response: I have eaten there on more than just three occasions, but have never had an email asking me for a review. So it's a tad unlucky I was asked for an honest review on an occasion where the food didn't match my taste. Sorry for that. And yes, on other occasions the food was fantastic, so was the service. I have seen a lot of your loving service come and go over the years. In general I love the concept and will definately come again to try the next menu. But I will write an email to explain and three stars is not too bad for an honest opinion....

GO! Although my pictures do the food no justice, this is the best food and service experience I’ve had in Germany. We ordered everything and everything was absolutely tasty. The times between each plate were wonderfully timed. I really appreciated the non-alcoholic variety for drinks. I highly recommend going and taking the time to enjoy all the wonderful dishes.

Overall a great dining experience! We had a warm welcome and love the decor. Food was very very good. We ordered the entire menu and ended up having 3 dishes per person to share which was enough. While ambience, food and drinks are perfect, the service still needs to improve. After a few hours service started to ignore our table and forgot our desserts. A nice gesture was that we got one dessert for free. Prices are fair, but wine is expensive. We will be back for the new menu.

Ordered online and i dont understand the complaints. As on the others pictures aswell my donuts looked exactly like advertised. Compared to DD they arw a bit lighter in my opinion which i like. Just very good donuts

Service mind not available here. The staff was not friendly at all. She seems annoyed and upset. She didn't smile and wasn't amused that i need time a bit to choose the donut. Today was my first time at royal donut and i need time to look around. It was not easy to choose. The price isn't reasonable. You pay1,40€ extra for nutella filling but you get a very little amount of nutella. She gave me a ripped 5€ note for a change. I asked politely for a note that is not ripped. She said she doesn't have. I asked for coins instead. She said that she doesn't have even coins for a change too.... The donut was ok. Edible. It tastes not that great but not bad. To be honest, All donuts don't look good but very messy. The chocolate coating is quiet hard. The staff's friendliness is very low. Not again.

Ill begin with the positive. The staff members were very very friendly and adviced us kindly about their donut sortiment. The store itself had a wonderful location and I've felt welcomed. Outside was a great place to sit, very comfortable. HOWEVER, I was disappointed about the very thing I was visiting for. The donuts themselves didnt taste good at all. Frankly, the donuts at Rewe taste better. The dough was dry. The icing tastes like nothing and the flavors are confusing. I ordered the cheesecake donut, which looked delicious, but tasted like a mixture of margarine and lemon. The chocolate donuts were barely sweet and a bit stale. I would definitely visit again for the space and climate but the donuts themselves need a revamped recipe.

I get that this has become more of a scene thing than anything else, and obviously nothing anyone says would deter someone who is willing to stand in a line of 30+ people in the rain for a donut. But after months of seeing the crazy lines, I finally tried these donuts and ... they are very, very mediocre. All effort clearly goes into decoration, but the donuts themselves are too dense/spongy/oily. Disappointing!

I no longer need big chains to satisfy my doughnut cravings. They do everything, and much better than anywhere else. Vegan options are always available, which is astounding since it is sooo gooooddd

I happened to stumble across this place while I was visiting the area and I needed breakfast and a cup of coffee. The place itself was very cute, lots of seating, considering the space and what I liked about the experience was that you could grab a quick meal or snack because they were already prepared ( some of them ) I had a lovely Chia pudding that was very a generous portion. There are lots of options and super convenient for takeaway, love that! I also ordered a flat white, which was just OK. Note that all the coffees are with plant-based milk. The one thing that took a lot away from the experience for me, was the service, there were a lot of people working behind the counter however nobody told me where to order (I thought you sit and order since there were menus on the tables) and how the service worked, when I asked, they were a bit unfriendly and told me to go to the counter to pay first. They were also quite busy with Uber eats orders, which I guess was reflected in the service.

Great acai bowl and all vegan, refined sugar and gluten free. Great option if you don’t mind paying a bit more! One slight issue is the service is quite slow- we got our drinks when we were almost done with our food, but the staff was pleasant. Overall good experience, if a little pricey.

Decent, healthy option. I enjoyed my meal, which was a sort of sampling platter, but my lunch companion found her bowl a bit flavorless and leaving a lot to be desired. I have been to one of Plants & Cakes other locations and had a similar experience. It's definitely not exceptional and, depending on the dish, it might be hit or miss.

I ate one of the best açaí bowl I’ve ever had! The açaí was fresh and tasted authentic, not watered down or overpowered by banana, which is often the case at other places! 🍌 Not only did it taste amazing, it also looked lovely and very instagrammable! The bowl was prepared quickly. All in all: 10/10 would recommend! There’s outdoor and indoor seating, lots of stuff for takeaway and they also serve savory dishes!

Great place for vegans / people with intolerances / fruit&veggie lovers. I enjoyed all meals we had and would love to try more if they wouldn't be so filling. Great colours, quick service and always full. Coffee might need some work but otherwise we were happy and will be back.

The lady behind the counter was super courteous and friendly, very patient. The green smoothies are made from scratch and it was delicious! I also had the raw carrot cake, which was sweetened only with dates and no added sugar. Hard to find a place like that! Loved the ambience and the place is tastefully decorated. As someone who close by, and buys daily at this wonderful, outstanding, service -gracious, heartwarming, family-run bakery, it breaks my heart to see one-off people , who seldom come by, whose only objective via google reviews is to vent their own angers, and knowing full well the destructive powers of social media – they unfairly unleash such reviews to our common space. Have you spoken to the owners – who are there every day ? or is it just your nice habit to ruin someone else’s reputation – and consequently – our wonderful, heightened quality of life – since this bakery opened several years ago here? So dear Vogelsbergbäcker staff: please keep on doing exactly the same wonderful work you do every day, and keep on making us happy with your products and your service – which you so hard work for. We – the clientele who live here nearby – we see your hard work – as we take the Strassenbahn at 04:30 in the morning to catch a flight from Frankfurt airport at 06:30 – and we see you already working from those early hours of the morning, or basically every morning when already by 07:00 in the morning –as our kids wake up go to school – they can have fresh bread for their daily sandwiches – which we buy early on from you – thanks to your work at night – for that 07:00 o’clock warm bread roll. Very nice bakery, i was lucky enough to be served by this very profesional and nice girl, Charlotte, her smile and eyes filled my day with joy.

Pastries are good, normally it’s fresh and tasty. But I had one of my horrible cappuccino ever! Honestly when I saw that a child was going to make my café, I didn’t expect more! But it’s quite pity to waste that taste of pastry with this taste of café! 4€ for a big cappuccino and I received this!

I feel like the quality has been cut down in the past months, and this is very sad. I think I had the worst products this morning, when I went to purchase some fresh Cinnamon rolls to bring to the office, and - to my surprise - I found out that they were very stale and old, likely leftovers from yesterday. I bought these rolls at 8:30 am, a time when I would expect a good bakery to have fresh products for its clients! This has already been happening for quite some time, when I go there in the morning, hence the review, I hope it's going to change something because this really used to be my favourite bakery in Frankfurt!!

Food was excellent quality. Prices were airport prices. Luckily I had a voucher from United Airlines so the price was not an issue. I had a sandwich and a Fanta which came out to be around 13 Euro. Sandwich was fresh and delicious, the service was fast, but the workers are definitely stressed due to the volume as it showed on their faces.

Extremely rude employees. They looked at us and spoke in a way that felt blatantly discriminatory. When you have paying customers, at the very least, you should try to hide your bad attitude. I visited with two friends and we ordered turkey sandwiches, cake, and a large latte. I was charged for a large latte but received a small one instead. When I politely asked for a plate or knife, they completely ignored me—as if they didn’t hear. Both the man and the woman working there had the same negative attitude, and the woman was even worse, actively ignoring us. Unbelievable and unacceptable behavior.

Inside the Frankfurt airport. Nice selection of pizza flat breads and pastries. They will heat up your selection at no charge. Tried the sausage pizza. Mine was extremely salty and I could not finish it. Maybe your selection will be better. Prices are fair for airport food on the go. Staff are nice and professional. If you’re not into flat breads keep walking.

Stopped here for a quick bite at the airport. It fills up fast as travelers come and go, but the pastries were excellent. The coffee was average, and the staff behaved fine overall. I recommend it if you’re after great pastries and don’t mind the crowd.

My wife and me are many years Manufactum customers. We prefer to buy here because we know the articles here have a high quality even the prices are high. Last Saturday, we were shocked about how an old man was treated! This gentleman was 75+ and I assume decades customer of Manufactum. He just wanted to sit on a table and have a coffee (table where we were sitting). We gave the man the table since we wanted to continue with our Christmas shopping at Manufactum. In that moment came someone of the staff and asked the gentleman man to stand up and let the table free for a young couple (the table was for 4 people, so easy just to sit the gentleman next to the couple). My wife and me couldn’t believe that and asked the staff just to help the gentleman to get a sit (again he was about 75+), she (staff) said she would like to, but if she does, she gets in trouble!! After I asked many times to help the gentleman, finally he got a place to sit at the bar side… otherwise he would just left alone. We were so disappointed!! Does Manufactum just see profit against well treatment of all customers??? This treatment I would understand from higher volume sales places where the customer is just one more payer, but not @manufactum. At that day we wanted to spend more than 800€ @manufactum for our Christmas shopping, but after that we left very disappointed and we are not to coming back anymore unless someone from Manufactum reacts to my review. @manufactum feel free to contact me

A favourite of mine and one of the best breakfast and business lunch bakery cafes in the area. Definitely catered to business customers. Most staff speak fluent English. Their food and cleanliness is impeccable. Thank you to Yvonne and team for the warm German hospitality. Recommend the pastrami sandwich and almond butter bread.

Very good presentation, the taste was amazing. The place is very cosy and at the same time very corporate.

I have very mixed feelings about this place. It’s a great place for coffee and chat if you work or live nearby and I like the selection from the bakery as well. However, service is really hit and miss. The waiters really prefer serving middle age (40-50) men in suits than anyone else and they obviously have their favourites. I once saw a partner in my firm getting some bread for takeaway and the waiters went out their way to greet him. In terms of my own experience, I get better served when I dress up (work attire) and less than average service when I rock up in my track pants to get some breakfast on a Saturday morning. I see a lot of people are complaining about the service here. One tip from me is to dress up!

This is one of the worst places I've ever been to. The service was slow and unfriendly. We waited 30 minutes to order a drink. They forgot 2 of our drinks and 1 of our orders. The server would not acknowledge my question where the bathroom was. We had a reservation at 11 and they refused to even acknowledge us standing there until 11:15. I will never go here again and do not recommend going. The cinnamon roll was dry. The croissant was not flaky. The bread was standard. Don't get the hype and was seriously disappointed with my entire experience here. The rudest 4 servers I've ever encountered.

A good place to have breakfast and coffee.

Cafe Nostalgia is in a quiet residential neighborhood owned and run by an older couple. While they do have some choices for traditional German kuchen, their specialty is Eastern European cake. We had two kinds- chocolate strawberry and honey. The strawberry was a bit sweet for our taste, but the honey was light and only slightly sweet. We had a coffee drink made with espresso and frothed milk which we really enjoyed. The prices are higher than most places in town, and if you pay by credit card you have to pay an extra 2.50 euros. That was a bit of an additional unnecessary cost for us.

I bought the hazelnut roll and cinnamon roll, both of them seems like undercooked, can still taste the texture of flour. The staff was not waking up yet, keeping yawn all the time, made wrong order and forgot what just put in the bag. This staff is not attentive and disgrace, she was not even saying a single word during my order, and sneezing to the food.

Good place to have a coffee and some cake. The top floor, accesible through stairs at the end of the ground floor, has a number of tables and comfortable sofas. Although it is close to the crowded streets of Zeil, it is not usually crowded. You can also buy pasties to go at affordable prices.

Terrible coffee, they even run out of sugar. For people who like espresso/black coffee you know immediately if the coffee is good because milk disguises bad coffee. If they at least informed customers there is no sugar... I only add sugar to bad coffee to make it drinkable. Bakery is ok.

I bought a pretzel for my small daughter. Later once we unpacked it it was hard as stone. Definitely not fresh, more like 2 days old. Pretty hard that they gave it to me especially seeing that I was buying it for a small child.

We ordered some sandwiches and drinks, but we didn't receive what we asked for. They forgot to include our coffee and gave us the wrong sandwich. When we tried to ask for a change, they made us feel guilty and were initially unwilling to help. After some discussion, they finally agreed to make the change. Overall, the service was disappointing.

(Dankeschön 🫶) I absolutely fell in love with their Franzbrötchen, reasonably priced, your taste buds will be amazed by the perfect balance of cinnamon and butter… I think it’s the best in town. Their sandwiches and bretzels were awesome too. Despite it being very delicious, their prices are not super elevated compared to other bakeries I tasted in Frankfurt which is amazing.

I wandered in here because I was staying at the Hotel Victoria next door and was so glad I did. The plum tart was so good I came back the next day… and a week later on my way out of Germany. A solid cappuccino as well, and very friendly service. I’m so glad I lucked into this place!

Saw this donut stand at Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof after arriving from the airport. The massive display of Berliner donuts drew my interest along with the pricing as it was 2€ for 3 donuts. Perhaps it was because I bought them later in the day, but I was disappointed with their taste as the donuts were stale. Though I would consider giving them another try if I knew they were freshly made.

This is the best gluten free bakery/restaurant I have ever been to! It was so delicious that for all 3 days I was in Frankfurt, I made sure to stop in. I highly recommend the salami salad for a savory treat as every single flavor culminates together perfectly- the soft bread, salty meat, and scrumptious pepper sauce. We ate breakfast there as well and I was blown away by their amazing spread of gluten free breads, cheeses, meats, fruits, and honeys. My favorite pastry was definitely the cinnamon roll. We will absolutely be back if we are ever in Frankfurt again!

Isabella Glutenfreie Patisserie is a very nice spot with an amazing range of gluten-free pastries. I’ve enjoyed every visit, and the selection always impressed me. The prices are a bit high for the portion sizes, and at times the pastries can be slightly too sweet for my taste. Nevertheless, the overall quality, variety, and dedicated gluten-free options make it worth a visit for a special treat.

It was one of the few places that offered gluten-free pastries and food, so it was really nice to just go there and not have to worry about it. It is a nice cozy place , we even went the next day for another dessert and coffee. They have a wide menu, which also offers breakfast and lunch.

If they know these baked goods get sold very fast, i guess they could bake more of them. Also, they could probably expand the place a bit, it is tiny inside.
