Cheesetique is a cozy restaurant and wine bar that caters to cheese enthusiasts, offering a menu filled with cheese-centric dishes. The establishment also houses a gourmet cheese boutique, providing patrons with an extensive selection of cheeses. From gooey French onion soup to luxurious cheesesteak upgraded with Taleggio, the menu features various dishes incorporating different types of cheeses. Additionally, the restaurant offers elaborate cheese boards paired with an excellent selection of wines.
For all the CHEESE Lovers~ I got to visit Cheesetique in Del Ray, Alexandria--and I had such a lovely dining experience! This local gem is led by Jill Erber (also behind Corso Italian in Shirlington), these spots showcase her craft and passion for cheese & wine~ Here's what we got: Cheese & Charcuterie Board Summer Shrimp Bowl Creamy Tomato Soup Grown Up Grilled Cheese Lobster Mac Lemon Ricotta Pancakes Wine Flight Italian Soda Favorite Picks: The Tomato Soup + Grilled Cheese = pure savory comfort, the rich gooey cheese on top of some tasty toasted bread, combined with the garlic-y and basil tomato soup was soooo good. Lemon Ricotta Pancakes were a GREAT option from the Brunch Menu too. To the side of the restaurant they have their own cheese & wine shop, which is super cool. Bodega style so everything they serve in the restaurant for charcuterie/cheese you can pretty much buy at the store too. Definitely loved their pimiento cheese that came with the Cheese Board, and you can grab a tub in the shop as well to make your own board :)

Cheesetique is always hands down a happy place to be. Phenomenal service and food with every visit. We always have to visit the cheese shop side before heading home to make sure we have plenty of happiness to take with us

I LOVE this place. The service was fantastic the food was cheesey and they have happy hour everyday. I can't WAIT to come back. We had the Mac and cheese a charcuterie board and one of the grilled cheese sandwiches. Yummy....
Debra W — Google review
Phenomenal! Amazing food and great portions and drinks were great. We ordered a grilled cheese and a gnocchi pasta. The service was helpful and attentive, a great way to enjoy dinner. They also have wine and cheese to sell, overall great experience!

The perfect place to getaway for a little happy hour date night! As someone who knows absolutely nothing about wine & cheese but has grown up walking past this restaurant I can not say enough good things about the food, drinks, and service here. You can't go wrong with any of their appetizers and the team had amazing recommendations for main courses. We got to try two of their mocktails and they were the perfect light refreshing balance to the meal. Grab a friend, a loved one, or a good book and treat yourself.

Visited Cheestique with a group of friends and co-workers during the Del Ray Gallery Thursdays. The place is very charming. It has an area with a bar and a restsurant, nicely decorated with a variety of paintings and art. An adjacent area is a small but well supplied wine store. But the amazing feature of Cheestique is, of course, the cheese counter! It reminded me of a Parisian fromagerie (cheese store), with an amazing selection and variety of cheeses, both international, American, including local dairies. The restaurant area is cozy, and it may be a nice romantic date site. We all had a variety of appetizers. I had a cheese board that included both raw milk and regular cheeses, grapes, fresh baguette slices, seeded crackers, mustard, etc. The server was also warm, helpful and apptoschsble. Even Eric, the manager, came to speak yo is about our experience. I recommend Cheestique wholeheartedly

Delightful spot in the Delray section of Alexandria. Restaurant and well-outfitted cheese shop with all the charcuterie and cheese selections you could want. Good wine selections too.

This evening, my wife and I decided to try this lovely restaurant in DEL RAY and I have to say that we were very pleased. The staff, as well as the manager were very attentive, the service was absolutely perfect as was the food that was served. Restart it with their French onion soup, which was absolutely perfect and then my wife had a chicken pot pie and I had their burger, I have to say that everything that we ate was delicious. They have a special where you can carry out an uncooked meat lasagna for two to cook later or to freeze for a later time . The price of this carryout was $15.99! A great value, especially because it is a very large portion of food. We are so looking forward to eating that and to returning to this restaurant at a later time.

Cafe
Northside Social Coffee & Wine is a versatile spot that offers a cozy atmosphere, delicious coffee, and an extensive menu. Whether you're looking for a place to grab brunch, have a business meeting, or simply relax with a book, this establishment has something for everyone. With comfortable seating options both indoors and outdoors, including dog-friendly outdoor seating and a quieter upstairs area, it's the perfect place to unwind. In addition to their great coffee selection, they also offer an impressive array of beers.
- The restaurant is a standalone building located near a crossroad. - There is ample seating both indoors and outdoors. The indoor seating is divided into front, back, and upstairs areas. - On Fridays in July, the restaurant is consistently busy from 2 PM to 4 PM. - Typically, there are happy hours and live music on Fridays from 6 PM to 9 PM. - Besides coffee, the restaurant offers breakfast options and other beverages. - During the day, it operates primarily as a coffee shop, while at night it transforms into a wine bar. [my experience] - The back and upstairs areas are quieter, while the front area is more bustling with constant traffic. - The restaurant is suitable for socializing, business meetings, or simply enjoying the atmosphere. - If you prefer a quieter workspace, the back or upstairs areas would be more suitable.

Unreal catering experience !! Truly amazing from start to finish especially thanks to Tetiana who helped me and was super efficient friendly and professional . As the school parent for both of our daughters I have to facilitate teacher catering funded through parents and we were so happy to purchase coffee and AMAZING pastries from NSS in Clarendon. Everything there is perfection - quality ingredients and top notch drinks. Breakfast , lunch or dinner we love to eat there as well as take out Thank you Northside and Tetiana for our last minute catering request for our wonderful teachers

Great spot for a weekend brunch. Loved the cuban sandwich. There is parking in front but don’t count on it. A lot of people so you might not be able to sit yourselves.

My cousin and I hosted a bridal shower at this location and we were so happy with how everything turned out. The staff especially Kelly was so helpful with booking and planning the event. The communication was top-notch. The day of, Mario and his team did such a great job with taking care of us from helping us set up the decor to setting up the music to bringing us anything we needed during the event. The food was AMAZING and a big hit with our vegetarian crowd. I’m not a big fan of food at coffee shops but it was absolutely delicious. Thank you so much for helping us put on such a memorable event!

Northside Social Coffee & Wine is a great spot for pretty much any time of day. In the mornings, they serve good coffee, freshly baked pastries, and the atmosphere is good for getting work done or just taking it easy. They have plenty of seating both inside and out, so even when it’s busy it doesn’t feel totally cramped. Later in the day, they shift into wine-bar mode, perfect if you want something more laid-back with a glass of wine and some small plates.

Northside Social is such a great spot! The coffee is excellent, the food items are fresh and tasty, and their happy hour is delicious with great options. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, and the space has plenty of seating (with outlets, which is a huge plus!). It’s perfect for working, relaxing, or meeting up with friends. Definitely one of my go-to places.

Stopped her for lunch. On a nice day, it’s a nice spot to sit out and drink/eat. Nice selection of wines, and small but diverse menu options s. We had the salmon salad, quiche, pop tarts and some wine. Will definitely be back.

Casual, unassuming and welcoming meeting place that you can go to with friends, family, colleagues. Their baked goods are very good. I tried their gluten free chocolate pecan cookie that was delicious! It had a crispy coating, chewy middle, and very chocolatey. The coffee cake was good and not too sweet. They have happy hour and other dishes that I would want to go back and try. There's seating upstairs and in the back area.

Screwtop Wine Bar is a cozy and inviting spot located in Arlington's Clarendon neighborhood. It offers wine tastings, classes, and cheese flights, making it a perfect destination for wine enthusiasts. The bar also serves craft beer and features a patio seating area for guests to enjoy their drinks outdoors. In addition to its extensive wine selection, Screwtop Wine Bar offers a brunch menu with delicious options such as avocado toast, smoked salmon bagels, and Belgian waffles.
Screwtop is one of my favorites in Arlington! Great food options, my favorite is the grilled cheese. The staff is awesome, always friendly and ready to help me find new wines to try. I would also suggestion asking about their wine club, I've been a member there for years.

Located in Arlington, street or garage parking are the options for this restaurant. Its located on the side of an apartment complex. It is cute but very very small. I felt very squished and not really able to sit and relax. We had reservations for 11:00am but only two others parties were there. Overall, I felt like it was an average experience, average food, and cramped space. Decent- good pricing though (which I bumped it up a star for). Couldn't really put anything else on the table. Wasn't able to scooch by the next table without asking our table neighbors to move.
Monica S — Google review
Went in to purchase some natural wine and they had a great selection. Their staff was also very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Overall service was great and next time I’ll make sure to grab a glass and enjoy. They also offer a monthly membership!
Velkin A — Google review
Screw You Wine Bar is one of our go-to spots in Arlington. They have a great wine selection and the Detox Salad is always fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a date night or a relaxed evening out. Definitely recommend making a reservation-it’s a popular spot for a reason.
Christy H — Google review
Screwtop has been a favorite for years! Not only is the wine great, but the food is amazing (hello, best nachos in the DMV) and the service is so friendly. Being part of the wine club has also been a blast - it's educational and provides a great community event to look forward to monthly! Linda and the team have done an awesome job keeping Screwtop a key part of the neighborhood and I recommend it to anyone looking for a great spot for drinks, brunch, snacks, lunch or dinner!
Regina B — Google review
I consider this the best wine bar in Arlington, VA! I went sporadically under the old management, but the new management has definitely elevated ScrewTop to new levels. The new wine classes have been an absolute blast to attend (not to mention super informative), and as a new wine club member, I’ve been loving the weekly wine tastings offerings and overall benefits. The staff is both friendly and knowledgeable while continuing to maintain that “mom and pop” feel with what feels like homemade sauces, sandwiches, and everything in between. I find myself going there more and more with their happy hour specials, and great customer service. Screwtop is top tier!
Yolanda A — Google review
Screwtop Wine Bar has been a neighborhood staple for years, and like many local spots, it’s evolved over time. What some may not realize is that there’s new ownership since 2024 - they are Arlington locals! The menu has gotten thoughtful updates, the wine selection is as creative and well-curated as ever, and the staff has a warmth and attentiveness that feels genuinely renewed. If you haven’t stopped in recently, it’s absolutely worth a revisit. Nostalgia is great, but sometimes the best chapters are the ones just beginning.
Kevin D — Google review
Love Screwtop!!! The vibes are so friendly and welcoming, you feel like family here. Go for a fun date night or a girls night out, try a wine flight (I'm a sucker for the pun-ny names) or drop in for one of their weekly tastings that highlight interesting wineries from across the globe. I personally love the lunch menu, the incredible customer service, and the fact that they generously give back to worthy charities and local causes in the community. If you have a hard time choosing a varietal you'll love among the wide selection they are so happy to help you. What's not to love!? 🥂

Modern French restaurant
American restaurant
Bar
Grand Cru Wine Bar and Bistro is a charming French-American establishment located in Arlington, Northern Virginia. The bistro offers a cozy European-style atmosphere with outdoor dining in a secluded ellipse garden courtyard. With an impressive selection of 350 bottles and several dozen by-the-glass and flight options, it's a haven for wine enthusiasts. Additionally, the restaurant serves delectable French cuisine and features a weekday happy hour offering select wines and appetizers at discounted prices.
Great restaurant with outdoor seating. It was raining so we had to be inside but next time, we will definitely take advantage of the outdoor option. The food was great and I like the wine flights option. I tried three different wines. I would have liked to see more old world wines, especially from unknown regions of South East Europe like Bosnia, Croatia, Greece, etc….Still giving five stars because the food was outstanding.
Indira B — Google review
This restaurant serves French cuisine that is delicious, of excellent quality, and generously proportioned at a reasonable price; a hidden gem in the Ballston area. The service was impeccable and couldn't have been better. We're looking forward to trying more dishes on their menu.
Patrick M — Google review
This is a good, pretty inexpensive European-style bistro, with a decent beer and wine selection and a good selection of light plates. The outdoor dining area is very pleasant when the weather is right, and is mostly shaded by the tall buildings surrounding the area and is also lined by small trees. The indoor seating used to be a bit problematic: you'd end up smelling like the food because the seating area was so small! They've moved to a larger space now, so I doubt that's a problem. The service is generally good and helpful, although I had to remind them to bring my draft beer the last time I went. I didn't try these myself, but the menu has a fair number of European dishes that aren't that common here: frog legs, snails, duck and so on. My dining companion tried these and liked them very much. The pictures shown are of deviled eggs, baked brie, potato gnocchi, duck strudel, escargot, and frog legs.

Perfect place for our Girls Night. I was looking for a chic, cute place with a cozy atmosphere, and this restaurant brought it all. We both ordered the Chilean Wine Flight which the glasses were generously filled, the Cheese Fondue and the French Onion Soup which was DIVINE. 5 out of 5 stars, will definitely be returning!
Miriam C — Google review
❗ Escargot DELICIOUS! So flavorful with fresh herbs, philo dough and great texture! Warm brie, very creamy and light. The biggest lamb shanks we've ever seen! Steak was on point and the white chocolate bread pudding was also amazing. Staff was attentive, fast and super friendly.
Alicia — Google review
Great friendly vibe in the outside area , quieter inside for private conversation. Menu was extensive as Carlos our waiter was attentive and efficient. Bruschetta was great . My friends ordered lamb rack which was huge , shrimp and andouille pasta , monkfish and I had lobster fritters with a salad beautifully presented. Great night we all thoroughly enjoyed the food etc but the very loud annoying drunk woman at a nearby table was a little annoying. Should have been handled quietly by the Restaurant rather then raining on 50 peoples dinners. We ordered a cone of silence for her ! We will be back though !

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner last night at Grand Cru. Eric and his team have the best customer service, taking the time to read our special request and offer options to accommodate. The staff is so friendly and the food and wine selection were very good!

Wine flights were excellent choices. Very good decent quality choices. Highly recommended the lamb meatballs, very savory flavors and a mix of sweetness and freshness from the cilantro cream. Duck breast was cooked perfectly and well paired with the quinoa and sauce.

Nestled in the charming East Falls Church neighborhood of Arlington, Oby Lee Winery is a delightful spot that combines the best of both worlds: a cozy cafe and a unique winery experience. This contemporary venue boasts an inviting patio where guests can savor small estate wines alongside expertly crafted espresso drinks. One standout feature is their self-serve wine fountain, offering 16 rotating Eurocentric selections for you to sample at your leisure with refillable debit cards—no waiting required!
Update: This place is now permanently closed. It has been sold but the new restaurant has not yet been set up or opened. ---------- Cute outdoor seating that has some of the best dessert crepes I've ever tasted. They also have Polish food, but I found it underwhelming. Perfect place to eat outdoors when the weather is nice. They have tap pay and you order and pay up front. They don't serve to table but you pick it up from the table outside or the front, if eating indoors.

Delicious food — authentic Polish cuisine including but not limited to: kielbasa, pierogis, and a selection of Polish beers, wines and desserts. Crepes, both sweet and savory, are fantastic. Highly recommend for brunch, coffee, lunch, or dinner.

It’s girls day and we went to @obyleewinery located in Arlington, VA 🥂💃🏽💄 Though tiny, this mighty winery and restaurant packs a lot of fun & flavor. We chose to try just about everything on the menu 😋 & the mimosas were refreshing. As we were leaving the owner gave us some delightful goodies (cinnamon twist, cookies, etc) Photo 1: Sweet salted caramel crepe w/ vanilla ice cream and whip cream Photo 2: Lamb gyro w/ shaved lamb, tomatoes, onions, feta & tzatziki Photo 3: Bacon, avocado, & tomato Crostini w/ balsamic reduction **loved this and will def be making it at home !! What a lovely surprise!! Delicious lunch spot with freshly made polish pierogi. Ample vegetarian options too. And the salmon and egg crepe was delightful and with top notch ingredients. Will come back here again! They also have nice outdoor seating with extra precautions for COVID, we felt safe eating there.

Utterly delicious gluten free crepe options from an attentive and knowledgeable staff. The scrambled eggs with lox and creme fraiche were some of the best eggs I've ever tasted. And the dessert crepe with fresh fruit, Nutella, and whipped cream was utterly decadent. I also enjoyed a generous mug of delicious cherry blossom green tea. Staff can explain what they can and can't do for gluten free orders, And go out of their way to greet guests, check up on them, and even greet their dogs (at the outside tables).

Amazing crepes! We can never turn down a strawberry, banana, Nutella crepe. I always get the duck confit and my boyfriend loves the southwest crepe. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Definitely worth a trip for brunch or to experience their wine bar. I have to come back to sample the perogies as well!

I have been coming to Oby Lee for a few years now and the quality of this restaurant has not dropped one bit over time. Their crepes and coffees are super tasty! They also host wine tastings (which is where I discovered my now-favorite winery, Cune). The atmosphere is very community oriented and it didn't take long for Oby to recognize and remember me. I absolutely love coming here.

Lounge
Nestled next to the lively Board Room bar and restaurant, Ms. Peacock's Champagne Lounge offers a serene escape for those seeking a refined drinking experience. This stylish venue specializes in sparkling wines, showcasing selections from local Virginia vineyards. Each month, guests can indulge in a curated $30 flight menu featuring standout bottles, while couples can enjoy an enticing date night special that includes sparkling wine paired with light bites and dessert for just $50.
I was looking for a place to go for some anniversary drinks before dinner and found this place through an email regarding romantic venues in Arlington County. I was skeptical at first, but soon realized this is one of Arlington's best kept secrets. All of the cocktails have sparkling and they were some of the best I have had in a long time. I had the Fig Bourbon Smash and the Indian Summer. Both were great. I especially loved the cinnamon I'm the latter.
Michael C — Google review
Attached to the boardroom next door this bar has a lot of charm and a great selection of sparkling wine and cocktails make with sparkling wine. I went for the cocktail which was delicious while my wife couldn’t pass up a glass of Virginia sparkling which was amazing. There are definitely some speakeasy vibes going on and that added to the experience. For a Friday night service was not great. There was one guy on staff and he had to spend a lot of his time going back in to the Boardroom, which made it difficult for him to keep up with the amount of people in this bar needing service. I’ll definitely be back but hopefully they can get at least one dedicated staff member who doesn’t need to shift between multiple bars.
Ryan L — Google review
Our drinks were served in plastic cups, the French 75 was more like a Fake 75, the bathroom was filthy and stank, the food was cold and the place closed at 11 p.m. instead of 2 a.m. as advertised. We were expecting a peacock, but got a chicken. My party of 5 visited this place two nights in a row and was disappointed both times. On Thursday we discovered it was closed for a private tasting; the waiter acted as if we were a bunch of clairvoyants and were somehow supposed to know that in advance. He then asked, "Were you not able to call ahead?" Yes, I suppose we should have just randomly called before we came. (Eye roll) Why not post the closing on the website so your patrons will know? But we were a determined, convivial bunch-determined to try the French 75, that is, so we called and made reservations for the next night. Well, we should have stayed home. The milieu of a 1920s champagne lounge with beautiful velvet banquettes and soft lighting was spoiled by a bunch of tacky plastic drinking cups. And don't get me started on the French 75. I didn't have one but everyone at the table who did gave it a firm thumbs down, though someone discovered later that all the gin was hiding at the bottom of the glass. I had a Le Fizz and was happy with it. My spanakopita was cold and barely cooked, but I ate it anyway. We'd planned to have two more friends join us until we found out the advertised hours were a complete lie-this place closed a full 4 hours early. Ms. Peacock's is a cool concept and has a great marketing team (I was drawn in by the pictures on the website and social media) but has some serious operational issues. Pray for them.

This place seems sleeped on. Awesome champagne cocktails. Bartender is super friendly, nice, and attentive. Made us cocktails even though they were about to set up for a private party instead of having us leave which was very appreciative. Very interesting decor inside. Love the blue! Usually our last stop after some flights at screw top.

This is a great little spot. It’s around the back of The Board Room but that doesn’t prevent it from being busy. They don’t have a lot of seating so you might have to wait on a weekend evening. They have great specials every night of the week. They service an impressive list of champagnes. Order a few small plates to share and you’ll be full by the time you leave.

Great cocktails. The space is a bit small but it’s well decorated and feels perfect for a date. Drinks are obviously the focus but the small plates were good too. I especially enjoyed the tarte flambee. It wasn’t too crowded either which made for a nice break from other bars and restaurants in the area. I look forward to going again!

I visited Ms. Peacock’s Champagne for their “Red, White and Bubbly” event, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The ambiance is elegant and inviting, setting the mood for a relaxing evening. We had four wine tastings that fit the theme of the night and were thoughtfully paired with a delicious amuse-bouche. The event coordinator was very knowledgeable about wine and spoke about the selections their pairings. Overall, I highly recommend one of their events for an educational and fun night out for a date or with friends.

Situated along the Potomac River, The Wharf is a vibrant waterfront area that has been transformed into a bustling destination featuring an array of shops, dining establishments, and entertainment options. Originally known for housing the oldest continuously operating open-air fish market in the country, The Wharf underwent significant development in October 2017. Today, visitors can explore four recreational piers, expansive parks including The Green, and three live music venues.
Surprised to see a 4.4 on Google reviews. It's definitely better than that. It was a beautiful afternoon and the start of Fall Oyster Week. My family enjoyed Oysters on the half shell, Rockefeller and Baked. We added shrimp cocktail, lobster rolls and an appetizer platter. Sprinkle in some cabernet, vodka martinis and a couple area beers and you cannot go wrong. We were lucky enough to have a local musician entertaining us and spreading some cheer.

The great about the place was the food & our server. The bad, unfortunately, outweighed the good. The only reservation we could get was for 7:45 pm. That was fine, but despite the lovely weather, we opted against sitting outside because there was very loud music directly across from the restaurant. Where we were sat was nice, but it felt a bit crowded and noisy inside, too. When trying to order, multiple requests were unavailable. Once finished with our dinner, my husband was trying to order dessert for our son, and they said the kitchen was closed. We suddenly felt very rushed to get out & they had JUST closed to incoming diners. To be clear, we don't blame our server, and again, the food was fabulous. For WAY less cost, we've had better of just about everything & we left feeling a bit dismayed.

The ambiance inside is really great, service was prompt and food was pretty good quality. The crab cake sandwich was really good but I was a little disappointed as it kind of felt like they loaded up on the fries to cover for the small sandwich. And I would’ve liked more lettuce and tomato on it or the option to have the fries replaced with a salad. Still, the crab cake itself was delicious. The lobster egg Benedict was also delicious.
Jinhee P — Google review
I will not return because the food is bland and they forgot to bring out a birthday dessert. The environment was nice. It was the best part of our dinner. The server was very nice too. The food is fresh, but in credibly bland and the plates didn't make much sense. For example, the appetizer seafood platter came with a bowl of tortilla chips, poke tuna, shrimp, oysters and loose crab meat. What was the tortilla chips for? And loose crab meat? That place left me confused and disappointed. My main dish was okay, but the filling on the lobster was very bland. My wife did not finish her salmon, which is rare. The biggest disappointment was that I told our server it was her birthday and he forgot to bring out a desert with a candle. I can't say how upset I was when we waited and waited. While the quality of the seafood was fresh, we will not return because the food and service are not worth the cost.

On 10/6/25, I brought my daughter here to celebrate her birthday. We came here from North Carolina. Our waitress was great. Service was attentive & prompt. The Mussles and Roasted Oysters were delicious. The crab soup was really good as well. Although it was only 3 pieces of small crab meat in it. However, we both ordered the Crab stuffed Flounder. It was old and spoiled. Neither of us could eat it. It was obvious that it wasn’t fresh and was spoiling. It tasted and smelled like rotting trash… literally. We were both so disappointed. Never again.

Stopped by The Wharf tonight for a cup of She Crab Soup and a salad. The salad was good, tasted fresh and the vinaigrette was nice. The She Crab Soup was fantastic though. I’ll come back just for that. Sat at the bar on a quiet night and Fidel gave great service. He told me about their HH which I’m excited to try next time.

We travel from PA on a day trip to dine at The Wharf. The staff and the food is always great. In addition to, King Street bustling with people. It's always something going on. We ordered lobster pasta, cream of crab soup, oyster, and scallop risotto. Everything was good. If you're in the area stop in. If not plan a trip. You won't be disappointed. Note: we destroyed the soup and oysters and forgot to get a picture.

We had our anniversary dinner with another couple last night at The Wharf and had a wonderful time. We were able to eat outside where there was live music which created a wonderful atmosphere. The food and service were excellent and our server Moriya really helped make our anniversary special. She was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive without being intrusive. I would highly recommend this restaurant when visiting Old Town Alexandria.

Sonoma Cellar is a unique tasting room and bistro located in a historic manse in Old Town. It offers an extensive selection of over 180 Sonoma County wines and 20 Virginia-based wines for guests to explore and enjoy. The outdoor space, known as The Wine Garden, provides a luxurious California wine garden experience with community tables, firepits, and live music. This restaurant also features chef-inspired dishes and small plates designed to pair with their fine wine selection.
I went here for dinner during restaurant week. It’s a Monday night so it was a pretty quiet night with a fantastic vibe. The wine and the food was all delicious.

I'm not sure there is enough space to write about SC. The wine was paired perfectly with the hanger steak. Despite being a small portion for the fig and brie app, the flavor made up for it. We came back for a second night and the short rib pasta was tremendous. Light but flavorful. I'm not sure I could complain about any of it. The best combination was the Manager Sophia and somollier/does everything Brian. They were open to their fans and paid the meals perfectly with the wine. Their passion for the food, wine, and the business were truly evident. They went above and beyond.

Great place to hear gossip from 50 year divorcees. Wine flights are bomb and well priced. Food looks good too — we saw the avocado toasts and they looked very good. Nice bar vibe. Staff is great, very friendly and knowledgeable.

We came here for an early dinner and had a great time! They gave some great happy hour deals ($2 off wine by the glass, good small plates). Service was very helpful and friendly. The back patio is a little hidden gem that you wouldn't know existed unless you went into the restaurant. We enjoyed a great wine tasting, along with some wonderful cheese and crostini. We then had shrimp tacos and the chicken pita, both very good. Finally we split the red wine brownie, which was flavorful and soft of the inside. Absolutely recommend coming in for a glass of vino and some plates right in old town.

Great wine selection, great service. We wanted a wine flight, and they were able to create one that was specific to our taste. Also has great outdoor space in the back.
Gene F — Google review
The food and the wine list are fantastic, but the service is almost unbearably bad. The staff makes it seem like they’re doing you a favor by allowing you to dine and drink with them. Our server was a brunette woman who rushed us through our meal (asking what we wanted to order multiple times in a 5-7 minute span). My friends and I ordered a bottle of wine and some food and it was great, but we decided to go to another wine bar for the second bottle because we felt so uncomfortable. Such a bummer because we had really high hopes for SC.

Such a fun little place. Very friendly service, great wine selection and tasty bites. My favorite thing about the place is the wine flights. Definitely don’t ever get rid of your flight option! Sitting out in the courtyard with a flight of wines and their Brie and fig jam crostini is a perfect way to spend an afternoon.

We walked in and realized after arriving that it was Restaurant Week. Still, they weren't crowded inside, but I could see some tables out back. Our server was very friendly and helpful - but he was all alone! He was running the bar, the tables, and going outside. He definitely should have had some help. We had a nice time, and the wine was good, but we had a lot of wait time and left feeling very bad for our overworked server.

La Fromagerie Cheese and Wine Bistro is a cozy cafe located in Old Town Alexandria, offering a taste of France with locally sourced small plates, artisanal cheeses, and a variety of wines. The menu reflects modern American seasonality influenced by the Lyonnaise chef and owner, Sebastien Tavel. The bistro's wine list features over 20 wines that are constantly changing and can be enjoyed by the glass, bottle, or flight.
Great solo dining experience. Had three different wines, all fantastic. Ordered the chicken liver mousse (told the server it was too good for my waistline) and the beef stroganoff. All the food tasted fantastic, beef was a tad tough, but I wouldn’t dock them a star, the flavor of the sauce, the potatoes and mushrooms far compensated for that. Service was warm and inviting and an overall great experience. I’ll be back.

La Fromagerie is such a unique place in Alexandria!! If you want to feel like you’re in France you must visit this place. Everything is served so fresh and their sommelier helps you pair wine as well. I enjoy thei appetizers (foie gras is 100% recommended to try), their lamb dish is amazing and they always have seasonal assorted desserts.

A fantastic place to have a date or meet with 1-3 friends. Right on King street so I use it as a way to start the night and he staff is very knowledgeable about wine. I had the 3 piece Charcuterie which was shared between two people.
David M — Google review
The Sommelier is very knowledgeable and gives great suggestions based on your personal taste. The charcuterie choices are on point. There is so much to choose from, we really haven't repeated a combination and we have visited multiple times. Also, the small plates are great. The chicken liver pate on brioche was so good and then the leftover pate we ate on their baguette. Needless to say, we will be back and it's a spot we will bring friends visiting to as well.

Great selection of wine and food was yum but the portions sizes were very small considering the price. We had a nice time but I just didn’t think it was great value for money.

A gem in Old Town Alexandria. La Fromagerie is absolutely amazing! The food is superb! No matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal. The selection of wines, Fantastic! Bistro 360 Wine Bar, Market & Restaurant is a charming spot that seamlessly blends a specialty market with a full-service dining experience. Upon entering, you might find yourself momentarily puzzled by the layout—wine bottles adorn the walls while ready-to-eat meals beckon from shelves. However, once you settle in and explore the diverse menu options paired with delightful cocktails, everything clicks into place. The atmosphere is inviting and casual, making it perfect for anything from a quick snack to an intimate dinner.
Super delicious. We had the pecan pancakes, blueberry French toast, which was phenomenal and the best egg white vegetable omelette I’ve ever had. The service was also great and the restaurant was pretty, I would definitely recommend to a friend.
Sabrina C — Google review
My son and I went to Bistro 360 on Easter Sunday. They had a brunch menu with only a few selections that I liked. I asked the server if the crab cake had a lot of crab or if it was mostly filler. She said mostly crab. Wrong. I order crab cakes a lot and this was definitely the worst I've ever tried. I took 3 bites and couldn't eat any more because it was so bad. Also, it tasted "fishy." I should have sent it back. The reason I gave a 2-star rating is because the french fries were really good. The server never returned to refill our drinks. A very disappointing Easter meal. Not sure but think this restaurant has new management.
Sandra S — Google review
I went to Bistro 360 as a part of NOVA Restaurant Week and had the 3 course special meal. I was really excited since everything sounded delicious, but to my dismay I was a bit disappointed. I'm quite torn writing this review though, because the staff seemed to be trying really hard and they brought several freebies that weren't part of the meal (bruschetta and some sort of cookie in addition to the dessert that I ordered). My main complaint was that the food was just kind of bland and lacked flavor (across the board, for all 3 courses). I had tuna tostada, butternut squash ravioli, and apple crisp. My girlfriend who had 3 different choices from the menu thought that her food was also bland and lacked flavor. The presentation of the food was beautiful though and I was super excited when they brought each item out, it just didn't taste that great. Service was pretty good, although it bugged me that our waiter was incredibly talkative and didn't really give us a chance to look at the menu when we had just sat down. Not a huge deal, and I'd rather have that than the opposite! I'm hoping this was just an off-night and maybe they had a different mix of kitchen staff. I'd like to go back and try the food again soon to see if maybe I can have a better experience.
Karl S — Google review
Had an amazing time! Yusuf is one of the best waiters I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Not only did we enjoy his dinner recommendations and his company but he gave us honest opinions that led us to buy more wine on the way out the door.

Me and my girlfriend's favorite all-time restaurant in the DMV area. We first came here for our one year anniversary and it was made very special by the staff who cater to my needs to have the table set up looking nice for us with flowers and all. The servers are extraordinarly nice and the food is absolutely amazing I would recommend Bistro to almost anybody. But on a side note do make sure you have some extra cash with as they are not the cheapest.
Ean L — Google review
I've been twice for happy hour (4-7 every day). The basic wines are only $4 and very drinkable. All the snacks I've had (string cheese, kimchi, olives, watermelon and halloumi salad, flatbread of the day) were full of flavor and reasonably priced. The international staff is warm and welcoming. It's also nice that you can sit down for a meal, casually drink at the bar, or shop in the market for things to go. I very much recommend this neighborhood gem.

Great wine, awesome food and great service. Need a place like this on the Arlington corridor. Hostess/Manager was very attentive and gracious and the Thursday wine tasting is fabulous. I tried a few side order and as a food lover, really enjoyed. Will try this place again soon.

Wine and service were great out on the patio on a warm day! We shared the fried green tomatoes, which were heavier than I expected but still tasty. He got the ceviche and I got the Greek salad with shrimp. The ceviche could have used a little more salt & citrus, and the Greek salad a little less dressing but overall we were satisfied.

The venue offers great deals on drinks and food during specific hours.
Lulu’s was such a great find & pleasant surprise! It’s in a cute spot, we liked everything we ordered (apps, mains and desserts) and the service from the host to the server was fantastic. Seems like a good environment for family, couples or friends. Would highly recommend & we can’t wait to go back and try more things off the menu.

One of my favorite spots in DC. Food is always delicious, wine selection is great, and good happy hour specials. I love the outside seating options and indoors is cute, but it can get pretty loud inside when busy where it gets hard to hear or have a conversation. During the summer, the mosquitoes are awful (at least for me) even though they offer bug spray.
Julia S — Google review
Came here with my sister after a day in D.C and the both of us really enjoyed our wine and meal! I got the Hugo spritz (the elderflower was an amazing touch) and we shared the black bean hummus and taquitos which were both very tasty! Also needless to mention the inside and outside are both very cute!
Ashli N — Google review
The trend with restaurants going to online ordering is somewhat alarming. If I wanted to serve myself, I would stay at home. I had a rather negative experience using the toast app to order my food. Nobody comes and checks on your table to see if your order was correct or right or if you need anything else There is a surcharge placed on your order. I am thinking some of that goes to toast. Just really hate it higher people provide service that’s why people go to a restaurant. Your atmosphere is great. Your cocktails are great and the food was really good. That said I got a takeout order ordered on toast and was entirely screwed upbecause there’s no way to say what you want included excluded and it doesn’t make any sense. I just wish that there was a person I could’ve placed my order with.
Christopher P — Google review
Had a birthday dinner here with 10 people and it was an excellent experience. The atmosphere was gorgeous, the tables were spacious enough to fit everyone, the ordering via QR code was perfect for big groups, and the service was fast and efficient. Their outdoor space was just as cute as their indoor space. Will definitely be back again.

Lulu’s Winegarden is a charming and inviting spot for a casual night out with friends. The outdoor seating is a huge plus, with heaters and cozy fire pits that make it comfortable year-round, and the overall vibe is warm and welcoming. The wine list offers plenty of great options, and the small plates are fresh and tasty (the hummus and flatbread were a highlight). Service was generally friendly and efficient, though it did get a little slower during the busiest part of the evening. Still, it’s a great place to relax, share good food, and enjoy an easygoing atmosphere. Would definitely return!

BARCA Pier & Wine Bar offers a breezy Mediterranean dining experience with outdoor riverfront seating, providing a perfect setting to enjoy tapas and wine. Located on an Old Town commercial pier along the Potomac River, the restaurant's seafood-centered menu is rooted in Catalonian and Mediterranean cuisine. The industrial freight container serving as the main bar adds to its unique charm.
Barca is a must-visit if you love tapas and waterfront vibes. The service was absolutely immaculate—attentive without ever feeling rushed. Every dish tasted incredibly fresh and thoughtfully curated. I sampled a variety of plates and was impressed across the board: the lamb and steak were both perfectly tender and bursting with flavor. The calamari came out crisp and golden, and the fried lemon alongside it was a culinary twist I didn’t know I needed. Do not skip the whipped goat cheese with pistachio and honey served with warm, fresh pita—truly to die for. Whether you’re there for a date night or a night out with friends, Barca delivers a dining experience that’s as memorable as the view

First off, let me highlight the views from the pier and all around because they’re FANTASTIC! Next, our server Blake was a true rockstar and didn’t skip a beat. Last but certainly not least, the food (small plates) all excellent from the meatballs, scallops, flank steak, Ahi tuna and the hummus. Not one disappointed. Great place and great food!

Found out that this was a great place to watch the sunset. There were many tapas dishes to try. We tried the lamb chops, scallops, stuffed peppers, and a shrimp dish. Everything was delicious. Drinks were great as well! Our server was pleasant and attentive. Definitely recommend for a nice day or evening on the water.

Perfect place for drinks and food with family. I loved everything the minute I walked up to the host stand, she was very friendly and sat us down right away. Our waiter and the waiter in training were both super knowledgeable about the food and recommended us what drinks & plates to order. Everything was very tasty & delicious. I can’t wait to go back! We did get there by boat & by the time of our reservation 12:45pm- there was only one more space on the dock directly to the restaurant but there’s plenty more space on the other side!

The food was phenomenal.. It came out quickly, was very flavorful and I enjoyed everything we ordered. However, note that it is tapas style, so small portions, making it a bit pricier. We ordered the lamb, steak, shrimp, beef kebab and calamari and they were all very very tasty with the steak, lamb, and beef being my faves in that order. Also the ambiance being on the water was really nice. Would definitely recommend

I went to BARCA for Sunday brunch and had a great time. The restaurant is right on the pier so you have a waterfront view. The food is tapas style and everything was flavorful and delicious. Will definitely go back again!

Had a drink, an appetizer, and a tapa here for the first time, sitting outside in their waterfront section of their restaurant. It was a great setting on a nice fall day. Drinks and food came quickly. Watching boats and planes go bye along with the people watching and good conversation made for a pleasant afternoon. What's more, the prices are reasonable for Old Town Alexandria. We'll be back.
Alvin B — Google review
Old Town Alexandria has been my home for 14 years. One of the most impressive developments during that time has been the upgrading of the waterfront abutting the Torpedo Factory, along Union Street and radiating to the north and south points of King Street. Walking from Jones Point Park to the waterfront near where the Potomac Water Taxi docks, you can take in the stunning view of where the Woodrow Wilson Bridge anchors in the Potomac River. BARCA Pier and Wine Bar captures the river, the bridge, and the waterfront with grace and style. While its pier closes during the coldest winter weeks, four-foot ceiling-mounted heaters do a splendid job of keeping the counter and seats warm at this open-air bar. I’ve found the service to be personable, polite, and helpful. I’ve also found their mixed drink specials to be intriguing (see, e.g., Makers Mark on tap in a Red Light, with bourbon, Aperol, strawberry infused Spanish vermouth, $15) and tasty (see, e.g., the Sol y Sombra, made with Beefeater gin, St. Elder, cherry bitters, lemon, $13). Crazy busy during the summer, I make a point to visit over the weekends in the late fall, when the temperatures drop below 40o F and the heaters are at full power. A double Beefeater’s with tonic, ($20) offers just the right amount of warmth to complement a brisk walk along the riverside.

District Winery, located in Navy Yard, is a modern and globally-minded restaurant and bar situated on the ground floor of a working winery. It's an ideal choice for couples looking for a hassle-free wedding experience as it offers essential decor items such as leather chairs, custom tables, china and glassware, printed menus, and small tabletop decor. The venue features an outdoor rooftop space for exchanging vows with a capacity of 200 guests in the main reception area that boasts floor-to-ceiling windows.
This is my regular spot to go to since I live very close to the location; though let me inform you that I have never been dissatisfied nor have I been unimpressed with the food, service, and overall atmosphere :) ! The first time I visited here, I automatically bought the membership for the monthly wine subscription. The wine was superb, the staff were even better. They have a wonderful staff consisting of Tim, Natalie, Shawn, Hailey, and various others who are excellent in relaying their knowledge of wine. Always taking out the time to greet even in busy hours. They’re just overall wonderful company to enjoy while drinking/eating/enjoying the ambiance of the restaurant. Though I’m usually at the wine bar, in the restaurant they have a wonderful bartender Brooke that is so welcoming and kind— her drinks are so delicious!! Gerald is always kind to greet us if he happens to walk in the vicinity and he has such a lovely big smile, I honestly have not experienced a staff where everyone is genuinely pleasant to be around. I’m so happy that I sought out this place because for months I’ve enjoyed myself so much each time being here. Honorable mention also pertains to the chefs, as they create wonderful charcuterie boards and dishes that are so so flavorful. Chef Steph and Chef Donovan know how to create a wonderful experience through a dish to customers, even without directly being in front of them. That is a very admirable skill, and dinner is an absolute favorite of mine to partake in there. Overall, go!!! It’s so so good and you will not be disappointed in any category:) (All of the pics are of drinks and charcuterie, my two favorite things in the world lol)

We stopped by District Winery on National Espresso Martini Day, and the universe clearly approved — our server surprised us with a few to sample, and they were chef’s kiss! 🍸 The atmosphere is equal parts chic and chill — that gorgeous waterfront view, warm lighting, and a crowd that’s more “wine-and-conversation” than “shots-and-chaos.” The food was beautifully plated and flavorful (highly recommend the small plates if you’re sharing). Service was friendly and attentive, though it did slow down a bit once the dinner rush hit — hence the four stars instead of five. Still, everyone kept their smiles and charm. Perfect spot for a date night, a girls’ evening, or anyone who enjoys a glass of wine with a view and a touch of class. ✨

I really wanted to give this place a 5, but I don’t like businesses that charge service fees on top of gratuity. Keep in mind they charge mandatory 20% on groups 6 or larger (pretty normal). This location has in small print on the menu they charge a 5% service charge for the benefit of their employees (fair wage and well-being). I thought their staff were great and the service was awesome, very attentive. However, i believe the business owners should be providing a fair wage regardless of the service charge as their menu prices are very much competitive for the area. $48 for a charcuterie, $21 for a burger, and $14-18 for a single glass of wine. We absolutely loved the food. The charcuterie had a delicious orange compote, Parmesan and Brie cheese and 3 different types of meats (shared between 5). I had the brunch burger which was delicious and i loved the side potatoes, very crispy and packed with flavor. For wine I had a house made blanc de blanc which was fabulous. Overall, I would totally come back. Services charges always just make me question the integrity of the business. Raise prices if needed but if your prices are competitive just pay your employees fairly, versus charging your customers after they’re already paying a higher end for your services/food.

I always visit a winery in every place I travel and that’s why I visited this one, it was well located and in a very nice area. However, I didn’t like the wines that much. Honestly, I think they should offer a better wine selection, but overall, it was a cool experience.

My now husband and I celebrated our wedding at District Winery this past weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better venue. Some of our friends attended weddings here and said the staff does such a terrific job, but they honestly went above and beyond our expectations. The location is phenomenal- close to the airport and National Mall, by the water and surrounded by greenery. The wood is beautiful and the terrace is unmatched. The staff is even better. Laura Barbieri was the one who showed us the venue and we were immediately sold. Chef Nicholas and Chef KeVaughn cooked outstanding Indian food, even though that isn't typical of District Winery. Because 1/2 of our guests can't tolerate spice and the other 1/2 can't tolerate not having something to set their mouth on fire, they served dishes with a side of diced chilies which several guests said was an amazing touch. Chef Nicholas even took time to hang out with us in the bridal suite while everyone was at cocktail hour and we were changing from our ceremony to reception outfits. That meant a lot. Sydney was our dedicated server for the reception. My husband asked if he could have a sugar free Redbull and she said the venue doesn't carry that. He said, "no problem." We got up from the sweetheart table to say hi to people and were back less than 10 mins later. We saw a SF Redbull can and wondered where it came from. Sydney literally ran down the block, went to Harris Teeter, bought SF Redbull and brought it back just for him. I have never seen or heard of that kind of service in my life! Kat Excellent was our wedding planner and her last name says it all. She's simply the best. She's professional, punctual and a great communicator. Most importantly, she's fun and made our wedding planning process and wedding day better than we could have imagined. District Winery hosts weddings every weekend (sometimes multiple in a weekend). You will forget us but we will never forget you. THANK YOU!

We did a scheduled wine tasting - 5pm on a Saturday. It’s just a seated tasting in the barrel room, not an actual tour - but we learned a lot and had a great time!! Only notes to improve: a snack of some sort would be good with the tasting, even if it’s just a pallette cleaning saltine. The club & purchasing process at the end is really confusing. It’s $22, but some are $28, but it’s more if you want to stay. I’m still unsure cleaning that schema up would be helpful!

My wife and I went to District Winery to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it couldn't have been a better experience. The entire night, from start to finish we were made to feel special. Our night began with a hand written note congratulating us on our anniversary, as well as our server Dominique, who was so kind and attentive. Then we had the honor of being given a tour of the winery from one of the managers, Tim, as well as a custom curated wine tastings built on our personal preferences. The night ended with another server named Sydney who was also warm and attentive. Overall this was by far the best experience my wife and I have ever had on a night out! The staff made us feel like royalty, and what was supposed to be a quick wine tasting turned into a celebration we will never forget!

We recently hosted our post-wedding brunch at District Winery, and I can't rave enough about them! The staff was an absolute dream to work with, and they went out of their way to craft a specialized 100% gluten-free and vegetarian menu for us. The setting is gorgeous, the food was excellent, and the whole planning process was completely stress-free. I will recommend this venue again and again for any nice wine and food event in DC!

Food was really nice. We ordered spicy tuna tempura roll and it’s a must try. Everything was fresh. What we ordered: Chicken potstickers Zen Teriyaki bao California plus fish eggs roll Everything was really delicious and fresh. Only the binding of the sushi rolls was not upto the mark.

The food was not bad. We did not like having overpriced drinks in plastic cups. We had the Ramen and Bibimbap. Decor was nice. Service was slow at the bar. I would try it again.

Perfect for a Sunday lunch in the rain! The rolls were good and the bao buns were amazing. They also have chicken teriyaki and duck buns to pick from. I didn’t have the full ramen but I tasted the broth and it was delicious!

The service is very good here. Prices are reasonable. $6 for a glass of merlot. Sushi is a bit expensive for the premium rolls.

This was one of the first restaurants I tried when moving to the area five years ago. They consistently have really great food! Appetizers: the beef Bulgogi bai buns and the fried crab wontons are fantastic! My favorite dish is the Tokyo Sun roll. Friends rave about Ramen. They have a full bar, I wish they had better featured cocktails, but when I order my go to drink it’s always made correctly. I have eaten here at least 20 times, staff is always nice, they are just sometimes slow to check on refills, etc.

Nestled just a few blocks from the Court House metro stop, Verre Wine Bar is a contemporary gem that beckons wine enthusiasts and food lovers alike. This chic venue boasts an impressive selection of wines displayed in elegant racks, creating an inviting atmosphere enhanced by twinkling lights overhead. The ambiance is lively, often filled with post-work patrons dressed in business attire, making it a perfect spot to unwind after a long day.
Had a lovely evening catching up over happy hour with a girlfriend at Verre Wine Bar. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. The drinks were flowing. We indulged in their tiramisu, which was rich and velvety, and the truffle fries, which were crispy, flavorful, and addictive. A perfect spot for a relaxing night out!

Verre Wine Bar offers a warm, elegant atmosphere with a well-curated wine list that caters to both experts and casual drinkers. The staff is knowledgeable and welcoming, making recommendations without the pretension. Small plates like the charcuterie board and truffle fries are delicious, though slightly pricey. It’s a cozy, quiet spot — perfect for date nights or catching up with friends. Reservations are a good idea on busy nights.

A Hidden Gem for Wine Lovers! Verre Wine Bar is an absolute treasure in the heart of Arlington! From the moment you walk in, the ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and upscale — ideal for everything from date nights to catching up with friends. What truly sets Verre apart is its exceptional selection of wine. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or just beginning to explore, there’s something here for every palate. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and happy to offer thoughtful recommendations based on your preferences. I discovered a few new favorites thanks to their expert guidance! The food menu is also worth mentioning — perfectly curated small plates that pair beautifully with the wines. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Service was top-notch from start to finish. Attentive but never intrusive, and always with a smile. Highly recommend Verre Wine Bar to anyone looking for a refined yet relaxed wine experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We love Verre Wine Bar—it’s one of our favorite spots in Arlington. Their $12.95 lunch special (sandwich, side, and iced tea) is the best deal in town. We’re wine club members and appreciate the flexibility of choosing just one bottle a month—perfect for us, even when many bottles become hostess gifts. Membership also includes a free sommelier tasting for you and a guest each visit. We often bring our three daughters, and they love it too—especially in winter when the patio becomes a magical winter wonderland with make-your-own s’mores. My middle daughter even calls it her favorite restaurant. The service is always warm and friendly, and it’s a great choice for lunch, happy hour, dinner, or brunch (with delicious biscuits and mimosas).

This place is an absolute GEM!! The atmosphere was relaxing and inviting, and we enjoyed sitting outside and people watching! Our server was knowledgeable about wine and educated us in a way that made us feel comfortable trying new wines! We will definitely be back!

Would recommend this place and look forward to our next visit to savor different menu items.

We enjoyed dinner and dancing at "Whino". The food was fairly good. Drinks were nice as well. Service was excellent. However..... The part we didn't like was a mandatory 20% gratuity tip that was put on our bill because it was an event. They charged extra to anyone that ordered food but never explained this before we ordered. We were only a party of 2 people which made no sense why we would pay extra just because of the venue. Mind you the venue wasn't free. We paid money just to enter. I felt cheated because they are just bleeding you out for money at this point. I mentioned this to the establishment and they stood by the extra fee. I won't be going back. My rating is 1.5 out of 5.

My low rating was for the food. Nothing I ate or saw on the menu was amazing, but I’d return for happy hour and the great service! We came here for our team holiday dinner and the servers/atmosphere were great! The food didn’t do it for me, but everyone that works here is super sweet. They went above and beyond to provide us great service, and it was appreciated. We will definitely be back for happy hour!

I have had the pleasure of dining here a few times. It is mostly shareable small plates. The prices aren’t too bad themselves. At night time, there is a DJ who played some really good music. There are also art works to check out. I loved the vibe and the atmosphere here. Taste-wise, the food was good as well. They give you a decent portion so that you can truly share it. I would definitely dine again!

This restaurant was very elegant Lee decorated. There were a bunch of art pieces hung up that were very abstract, modern at the same time. We sat at a round table very comfortably the view was very nice. DJ Gonzo was playing music which really set up the atmosphere vibe my 19-year-old daughter and I enjoyed our brunch date we will be returning because the food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was very fun and not overly too loud With the music choices and really liked the attention of the waitresses that were walking around checking up on us constantly.

La Jambe is a chic spot where you can relax with French wine and cocktails while enjoying cured meat and cheese plates. The Union Market location offers a delightful cheese board with chef-selected cheeses, breads, and condiments, as well as gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches like the alpine grilled cheese featuring raclette, gruyere cheese, tomato jam, and arugula. Pair your meal with a glass of Pouilly Fume sauvignon blanc for the perfect combination.
We had the best girls night at La Jambe on 7th street! As three ladies who love cheese, we were excited to try the cheese board and order the burrata and tomatoes on impulse! Both were so delicious and the staff took time to explain each cheese to us and where they source their ingredients! We even had an allergy in the group and our server made sure to tell us what all was safe for her to eat. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious and I loved the pickles that came with it. The chocolate dessert was also amazing and I would come back just for that and a cocktail anytime!! We will definitely be back in the future, totally worth checking out if you are in the Shaw area! Great food and great atmosphere!

This place was okay. They didn’t quite hit the mark on the temperature of our steak and the shrimp had way too much butter. And that’s saying a lot because I luv me some butter. There also didn’t seem to have proper ventilation. We walked away smelling like grease from the kitchen. And we were the only diners there! Our server was great. Very friendly and helpful. But it’s not enough for me to return to this place.

The taste of the beers is incredible ‘Blanc’ the best! Incredible taste’s dishes. I think they should specify that the place is very gourmet, and the plates are small for that reason.

Delicious but very limited menu. Ceviche was wonderful. Service was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, they only have one big cheese and charcuterie board and don't do smaller servings -- so not geared towards solo diners who want to try a bit.

La Jambe is a cozy and intimate spot with fun wallpapers, beautiful murals and vintage style dishes. A great mixture of vintage and modern. My friends surprised my wife and I with a nice little dinner the night before our wedding to celebrate our last night of single hood. And what better way than to fill our bellies up with carbs, cheese and wine? We sampled many different wines and shared the Chef's Choice Cheese & Charcuterie Board. Everything was delicious. For dinner, I had a cheese pasta dish that doesn't seem to be on the menu anymore. It was good but not amazing. I really liked La Jambe's wine selection and small plates. I don't think I would come for a dinner. I'd stick to the wine, small plates and cheese & meat boards. Service was excellent. Pricing was reasonable and standard for a wine bar.

We were a big group and went here for breakfast and most of us ate at the bar. It’s a smaller space in terms of the seating area and there was only indoor seating at the time because of the weather. I had an omelet and french toast, both of which were great. Everyone liked their food here!

Don't know if this was a tapas bar, but the serving portions were small and the place was a lil on the pricey side. The cocktails were pretty good, the staff was cordial and the lobster au gratin was marvelous!

Apéro & La Bohème is a charming woman-owned spot located in a historic townhome on P Street NW. It's an ideal place for a date, offering beautiful pastries and espresso in the morning and bubbly, French fare, and caviar in the evening. The restaurant serves a variety of champagnes, cava, cremant, and nonalcoholic sparkling wine by the glass and bottle.
What an absolute gem! We went for the Tolkien-themed dinner and had one of the best meals of our lives! We’ve been to countless Michelin-starred restaurants and the food and service here was on par with all of them. The wine and cocktail pairings were perfect and reasonably priced as well. Do not hesitate to book a dinner here!
Kelly G — Google review
La Bohème is one of those rare restaurants that feels exciting every time you walk through the door. This was our third visit, and what keeps us coming back—aside from the excellent food and atmosphere—is the way the menu is always evolving which gives them tons of replay value! They rotate through seasonal, themed menus that feel fresh, intentional, and genuinely inspired. It’s never just a gimmick; you can tell there’s real thought behind each shift. Each time we’ve dined here, we’ve experienced something completely different, yet it always feels true to the restaurant’s identity: refined but approachable, creative without being showy. The current Miyazaki menu is rich and deeply flavorful—full of unexpected combinations that work beautifully together. It’s the kind of food that makes you slow down and pay attention. The space itself is warm and intimate, perfect for a date night or a small dinner with friends. The staff strike that ideal balance of knowledgeable and relaxed—always attentive, but never hovering. It’s the kind of service that makes you feel well taken care of without drawing attention to itself. La Bohème has quickly become a favorite of ours. It’s the kind of place that keeps you curious and coming back. Highly recommend for anyone who loves thoughtful food in a beautiful setting.

We came here on a date night for the Toilken themed dinner. It was easily one of the best meals I’ve had! It’s up there with the two Michelin spots I’ve been to and I’m honestly shocked they don’t have one yet! The menu had so many great choices. Not only did we get items off the menu, but little treats in-between as well. My bf got a cocktail to go with his meal and I got a delicious passion fruit mocktail. Our serve was very friendly and was sure to explain all the food thoroughly. The restaurant had very cozy vibes and it was a very intimate space. A lot of fun decorations up with accompanying music from the movies. All and all, a great meal and we can’t wait for the next theme!
Rosie H — Google review
This was our third visit to La Bohème, and each time feels like a new favorite. The space is intimate and stylish with just enough mood to make it feel like you’re dropping into the themes they embrace, but still relaxed and welcoming. One of our favorite things about dining here is the cocktail pairings. It’s such a refreshing alternative to the usual wine pairings you see at most restaurants. The bar team clearly puts thought into how each drink complements the food, and the result is something really unique—you get bold, creative flavors that enhance the meal in surprising ways. It’s not just a pairing; it’s an experience. The food itself is exceptional. The Miyazaki menu especially stands out—every dish is beautifully balanced, layered, and packed with umami. There’s obviously great precision behind the scenes, but it never feels fussy. You can tell the kitchen knows exactly what it’s doing and has fun doing it. Service is consistently great—friendly, attentive, and informed, without being overbearing. Everyone we’ve interacted with has been warm and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu, which makes the whole experience feel even more special. La Bohème is one of those rare places that sticks with you. It’s inventive but grounded, elegant without the attitude, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

We were walking past searching for somewhere for dinner and the restaurant just looked welcoming. Staff were so friendly and we were lucky to get a table at the front to people watch 😛 The service was great but the food....next level! The taste was delicious, serving size perfect and pretty reasonably priced. The steak would have to have been the best I had while in Washington. It was cooked to perfection and "melt in the mouth" goodness. Very highly recommend a visit.

The food was phenomenal. I'm still thinking about the scallops a week later. The service was great. The drinks were so smooth and well made. The French Blonde was so good. The atmosphere was intimate. It's a little dark and moody, but there's plenty of light at your table to see the menu. It was great for our friend group. I highly recommend booking a reservation.

My parents are regulars at Amélie, but yesterday was my first time there. The French-speaking staff was very friendly. The barman brewed up a sweet mocktail for me. For dinner, I had the roasted cauliflower, the Ravioles du Royans, and the Profitonut. Very fun experience, but my suggestion? Make sure to get your table reservations as early as possible. Amélie gets packed on happy hour.

After checking reviews for Wine Bars near my hotel, I decided to try Amelie. It exceeded my expectations. The staff was super friendly, attentive and accommodating. After some discussion, I ordered the red wine flight and all 3 wines were delightful. Paired nicely with my burger and truffle fries. The atmosphere was relaxing, as they had just opened and not crowded. Love the indoor/outdoor seating, and I had a great view to people watch. A definite fav for my trips to DC.

Amelie offers very good menu. I had brunch there. The traditional omelette with Gruyere was very nice and the salad Nicoise equally nice. Lovely hostess and a super nice DJ- modern flair a good addition to the fold-look forward to dinner and their wine list-the rosé sparkling one I had did not rock my world, but it was decent. This place is a vibe! Small and quaint. We were greeted by Daniel who was super welcoming and very informative. Music on Mondays are inside. The other nights outside weather permitting. Tyler the bartender made our drinks and they were very good! We ordered from the happy hour menu-the truffle Mac and cheese and duck crochets. Mac and cheese was tasty and the duck was fried just a little too hard for my liking. The band was great (live music from 7-9p). I will definitely be back for the $10 wine tasting on Wednesdays!! And I would like to order entrees the next visit.

The menu was cool, could have used some more options. I absolutely love the toast ordering app and the ability to keep a running tab, order at your leisure and close out when you are ready. I didn't see the option to just order a specific spirit neat (You have to go to the bar for that). I opted to go on Monday I figured it would be the slowest of the days that they offered music and give me the opportunity to really check out the venue without it being so crowded, and it did. All in all, I had a great time and experience at St. Vincent Wine and I would highly recommend it for an evening out.

Great hangout spot for ordering wine, sitting outside, enjoying the show, etc. The food was average and pricey, more designed for little bites than dinner. I would recommend eating first and coming for the wine.

I visited St. Vincent for their live jazz brunch. Our table for 6 was ready just a few minutes after the reserved time (2:30) and we had a great view of the live jazz band which started at 3. Once you are seated, you can order as quickly as you'd like through the QR code. There is no assigned server so if you have questions or need something, you can request that a staff member come over through the QR code. My group tried to order our entrees at the same time so things would come out together. Although the food did come out at different times, it wasn't so terribly spread out. All of us enjoyed our food except for one friend who thought her chicken and waffles dish was dry. She didn't like the syrup served with the dish either. I tried her dish and really enjoyed the crispy skin and I thought the chicken was cooked well. I ordered the chicken fried chicken topped with gravy, with fried eggs, over medium and, a duck-fat hashbrown on the side. I thought my dish was super tasty. Other friends got the chicken sandwich, biscuits and gravy and, egg and goat cheese dish. We also shared the pastry basket and a few bottles of champagne. Unfortunately, they don't offer bottomless mimosas and the prices of drinks were average. They do offer specials on their wine by the glass but not other drink specials available. The highlight of visiting St. Vincent was the vibe that the jazz band created. They played so many great 90s and 00s hip-hop/r&b music. We all enjoyed the lively vibe.

This place is the perfect date night spot, work colleague meet-up, friend catch-up date. The ambiance is amazing, the music isn’t too loud and the wine is so good. I got the wagu bolognese and it was meh, I would not get it again. The potato appetizer is so very good. I can’t wait to go back. Keep in mind, it can get pricey. They didn’t have crush red pepper and that was a bummer. Any place that serves pasta should have red pepper flakes.

Cute local spot for wine and food. They have a wine tasting and live music on Wednesdays, which are a great mid week mix up. Would return and recommend.

Corso Italian is a delightful transformation of the beloved Cheesetique, now offering an authentic Italian trattoria experience. Located in Shirlington, this charming eatery specializes in housemade pasta that you can often see being crafted through the front window. The menu features delectable dishes such as artichoke agnolotti and fettuccine carbonara, alongside classic favorites like bone-in veal Milanese.
My boyfriend and I came for the $29 bottomless brunch earlier today. And EVERYTHING was amazing!! From looks to taste, it was all perfect! Our waiter, Scott, was so kind and amazing and provided the best service we could have hoped for with it being our first time going. After hearing about the other special nights from Monday-Wednesday we definitely are planning to be back for dinner service... and definitely for more brunch dates together ^_^

My recent visit to Corso Italian Restaurant in Shirlington, VA, was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment my group arrived, we were warmly welcomed by JR, who set the tone for the experience with an exquisite wine tasting and cheese pairing. The Robiola Bosina cheese was my personal favorite—its creamy texture and rich flavor were divine—though the truffle cheddar was also a standout. The Avoglia Fiano white wine was light, crisp, and perfect for a spring or summer evening, while the Avoglia Primitivo red wine was smooth and paired beautifully with our Oxtail Ravioli entrée. Before being seated, we were treated to a selection of spritzers, including the Shagliato, Hugo, Aperol, and Lambrusco Spritz. While each was visually stunning, my personal favorite was the Hugo Spritz, thanks to its delightful Elderflower liqueur touch. For starters, we enjoyed a generous spread: Gamberi Fritti, Seared Tuna Crudo, Whipped Ricotta, Little Gem Caesar, and Burrata Caprese. As a self-proclaimed “cheesaholic,” I gravitated toward the Burrata Caprese, which featured fresh, juicy tomatoes and a light balsamic dressing—a simple yet flavorful dish that I absolutely loved. Our entrée selection was equally impressive, with dishes like Oxtail Ravioli, Lobster Ravioli, Orecchiette with Sausage & Broccoli Rabe, and Pan-Seared Scallops with Mushroom Risotto. The unanimous favorite? The Pan-Seared Scallops with Mushroom Risotto—perfectly cooked scallops over a rich, creamy risotto that left everyone at the table raving. Just when we thought we couldn’t eat another bite, we indulged in an array of desserts: Mascarpone Cheesecake, Hazelnut Chocolate Cheesecake, Fig Leaf Panna Cotta, and the Circus Maximus Sundae. Somehow, we found room to savor every bite, and the Circus Maximus Sundae stole the show! We wrapped up our lunch with Espresso, Frangelico, and Espresso Martinis, the perfect way to end an incredible meal. Corso Italian Restaurant offers a gastronomic experience that is both refined and welcoming, making it an ideal spot to enjoy delicious food and drinks while catching up with friends. Its prime location in the heart of Shirlington makes it a must-visit. I will definitely be coming back!

I had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The place is absolutely beautiful — every detail is carefully thought out, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely committed to making sure everything was perfect. The food was outstanding 😋 full of flavor and beautifully presented. I was truly impressed by the service and can’t wait to come back. Huge compliments to the entire team, you really make a difference! 💛✨

This Italian restaurant is such a hidden gem! Their pasta tastes truly homemade — fresh, flavorful, and comforting. I wouldn’t mind a touch more protein 😉 Their happy hour is a fantastic deal — every dish we tried was tasty, and the drinks were well-priced. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed night out. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

Corso Italian Restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat brunch on Sundays for $29, which is a very reasonable price for the DMV area—perfect for those who enjoy variety and unlimited dining. Overall, I’d rate the food a 3 out of 5. Focaccia Rosemary Bread – Amazing! Highly recommend starting with just one serving since leftovers cannot be taken home. Salads (Caesar & Italian) – Both were overdressed. I would recommend using less dressing initially and offering extra on the side so guests can adjust to their preference. Berry Bowl with Mascarpone – Delicious, but it felt more like a dessert than a fruit bowl since it was mascarpone-heavy with just a touch of berries. I’d suggest moving this item to the dessert section. Pancakes – Excellent! Fluffy, flavorful, and one of my top picks—I would easily order this as a main entrée. Eggs Benedict with Pork Belly – I don’t eat meat, so I couldn’t fully enjoy the dish, but after adding salt, black pepper, and pepper flakes, it was well-balanced and tasty. American Breakfast with Bacon – A solid choice and cooked well. Italian Sandwich with Fries – The sandwich was good, though it would be better with a thinner bread or more meat. The fries that came with it were outstanding—a 10/10 recommendation. (Note: Fries ordered separately are good, but not quite the same as the ones paired with the sandwich.) Spaghetti al Pesto – Tasted freshly made and flavorful. Cannoli – A good, classic finish to the meal. Drink (Strawberry Rossini) – Personally, not a fan. Overall: The brunch offers great value, especially for the price. Some dishes shine (pancakes, focaccia, fries, pesto pasta), while others could be improved with adjustments (salads, sandwich, fruit/mascarpone bowl). Service was good our server wqs attentive and the Decor was inviting and modern.

Just wow! Came here Saturday afternoon and stumbled upon their all-you-can-eat brunch. For $29 a person you get to try an incredible variety of freshly made pasta, brunch dishes, and other Italian delicacies. Highlights included the Burrata Caprese (so, so fresh — each tomato was perfectly ripened and sweet), the Fettuccine Alfredo, the Spaghetti al Pesto, the ricotta pancakes, and the cannoli. The service was impeccable too - our waitress was so nice and attentive. We will definitely be coming back here again soon, next time to try their dinner menu!

Nestled along the picturesque waterfront of Washington D.C.'s vibrant Wharf neighborhood, Easy Company is a delightful café-bar that draws inspiration from European-style establishments. Whether you're looking for a pre-concert meal or simply want to escape the summer heat, Easy Company offers a relaxed atmosphere perfect for any occasion.
This was a nice little spot on the wharf. The service was friendly and helpful. The Frosé was a delightful treat on a hot day. The calamari was hot and crispy. The Atlantic salmon was very flavorful. The noodles in the Alfredo sauce tasted light and seemed homemade. The Caesar was great with the shrimp addition.

"Welcome to Easy Company and by the way, we have a 90 minute table time." What if we wanted to hangout longer or buy more drinks??? Never found out. Made reservations at Easy as it's closest to the Anthem. Arrived on a rainy evening and was quickly seated in the "atrium"? The conversation above was while we were walked to the table The indoor outdoor feel feels more outdoors considering all the birds. Who near j above you. And crap on your table or food. Fortunately, while the birds got close a few times... No hits were recorded. Our server had a language gap and wasn't particularly quick or attentive. Initial table greeting 20+ minutes. Then an additional 10 for drink delivery. Table side ordering really removes the service in servers. Food was expensive but not exorbitantly. It was cooked properly. Just not anything special. The pacing on the table got us out of there right at 90 minutes. Just how long each thing takes I guess. Wouldn't recommend it. Wouldn't go back. Wouldn't say, "don't even bother." So give it a shot... But don't expect a lot.

Wandered by on a Saturday evening and this place was by far the least crowded, was immediately seated and the staff couldn’t have been any friendlier! The place has a chill vibe, fantastic selection of wines, and the food portions were generous and delicious. Reasonably priced for the views, service, and quality of food. The Cote Du Rhône was fantastic, the port was a nice compliment with dessert, which was also to die for. The mussels and truffle parm fries were perfect. I’d gladly come back, so far my favorite place on the wharf. We did come an hour till kitchen close, and got everything put in prior, except dessert, which they took care of, I appreciate the staff for continuing to serve while closing up the back!

I ordered the medium rare brunch burger and I got a well done burger twice. The 3rd time I received the burger, it wasn’t cooked. I’ve included pictures of both. They gave me 50% off of my burger even though none were edible. The waitress also had open sores on her face and I don’t know how food safe that is. The manager was very nice but I think the kitchen needs some more training.

Came in at around 4:30 on Sunday and was seated immediately. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and drinks were great. Stopped by easy company for a cold glass of wine and nice bathroom on the wharf. We were two of six people at the. We sat st 2pm Saturday and it still took almost 10 minutes for someone to take our order. Wine was $12-15 for average wine and $16 for sangria. The sangria tasted like it was made with the bulk gallons of OJ they were using for bottomless brunch mixed with cheap wine. It looked like they were using ocean spray for the other brunch cocktails. For a place that charges $68 for bottomless food and drinks it didn’t feel worth the money.

The best turkey sandwich ever. All six of us ordered the same thing without even comparing with others. In addition, the most vast on tap Beer selection in a fantastic atmosphere upstairs. Super friendly and knowledgeable Beer tenders. We’ve been here many times and it never disappoints

Great food and drinks! Will definitely go back there again when I’m in the area! It’s great you can order a taster or a full pour. Lu (sorry if the spelling is off) was an amazing bar tender! She made our first experience there exceptional!!

Finally stayed to eat here after years of always grabbing beer to go. The upstairs is a whole other world, very formal dining room feel with a laid back (but also somehow elevated) menu. The food was great and the beer menu is huuuuuge. A helpful tip, so you don't wander around lost like I did, the bathrooms are above the dining room accessed from stairs in the back of the dining area. Only gripe is that I wish they had a slightly bigger dessert menu but the ice cream sandwich slices were delicious.

This is a very cool spot I can’t believe I haven’t found sooner! Super elegant and completely hidden in falls church. Driving by you would t even know it’s a restaurant. Looks like a wine shop only. But the menu and ambiance were great. I’m excited for the new butcher to open next door and that was the reason for checking it out. I will be back for sure!
Martin M — Google review
Decent food and good service, but overpriced and not great ambiance. The server was pleasant and attentive, but the prices are too high for essentially pub food in a parking lot. A tent in a parking lot does not amount to a beer garden, and the price for a pretzel or a slider is much higher than standard. The beer selection was good, but prices on drinks were also higher than normal. Not my favorite place in Falls Church, based on value and ambiance.
Aaron T — Google review
Great food and drinks, a little bit of a smaller menu (wish it could have another 4-5 more total options), but thankfully they have great options. Phenomenal cheese steak and dragon shrimp. Some of the staff looks dressed for a sports bar rather than an upscale-ish wine bar, but I don't make the dress code there...

Not a beer person, or at least I wasn’t. The menu is awesome, a brief description, and the ability to order 4oz flights. Simple, yet genius. Tried four different beers (photo of flight numbers and beer menu attached). Food was great (had the pretzel and cheesesteak w/peppers). Good atmosphere, and staff. Really great spot for a chill evening, or catching a game, or just some great food.

I generally like this place and I'm glad they're expanding. However, I've noticed a downward trend in quality and service over the last 6 months or so. On our last visit no one even checked on us after we got our food - or asked why I had hardly eaten mine when they cleared our plates. I ordered the grilled octopus plate. It was bland, a little chewy, and the patatas bravas were okay but perhaps sitting in a place of squeezed mayo? Not the best experience. I hope to see things come back around.

Cork Wine Bar and Market is a popular spot that offers New American small plates and more on its upper level, while featuring a market bistro and tasting bar downstairs. The establishment prides itself on consistency, serving Old World wines alongside delectable food options such as avocado toast. It focuses on offering wines from small, sustainable, and organic producers at reasonable prices.
Wine market, bar, small plates joint in a good location. Stopped in for a flight and light bite on a Saturday night. The downstairs bar/market was packed, lots of energy, and buzzing. We were upstairs because we had a reservation. Decidedly quieter up there only a couple of other folks dining, the back room had a large party (15) cozy with lighting in the right place. We started with a flight and narrowed in on Pomerol by the glass. The Somm was friendly, knowledgeable, and made a good suggestion for our final glass, a Cahors. A licorice-bomb that we really liked. On the food side, we were very basic, fries with homemade ketchup; French onion soup, with cheddar and a nice bread on the side; and roasted/fried cauliflower with yogurt, pine nuts, and pickled raisins, which was a little overdone. We didn't venture much further on the food menu, but we were really here for the wine anyway. On our way out, we perused the markets but weren't able to find that Cahors in a bottle server/somm. sensing our dilemma, procured a bottle for us from the back. Nice experience, I'd explore more by the glass options here and they have some interesting finds in the wine market.

As a Logan Circle resident, I recently rediscovered Cork Wine Bar and can't believe I overlooked it for so long! This place is a true neighborhood gem. We started with a red wine flight that was both delicious and fun, letting us sample distinctive wines from around the world. The appetizers were amazing - crispy cauliflower, flavorful beets, and house-made potato chips with herbed labneh that I couldn't stop eating. The burger completely blew me away - easily my new favorite in DC. And the fries? My friend called them the best she'd ever had with their perfect crispy-outside, soft-inside texture. I totally agree. The profiteroles for dessert were so good I seriously can’t stop thinking about them. Our server Pablo made the whole experience even better with his friendly, attentive service and great recommendations. Whether you're planning a date night, meeting friends, or just want to enjoy excellent wine with delicious food, Cork Wine Bar delivers on all fronts. This place has definitely earned a spot in my regular rotation!

The atmosphere wasn’t terrible, but it was so loud we could hardly have a conversation. The food was okay, not memorable, but not bad either. What really stood out in a negative way was how rushed we felt. Our drinks were refilled almost too quickly, and at one point, our glasses were even taken away, which felt quite disrespectful. Overall, I don’t see myself coming back.

We went for dinner at 8,45 pm after booking on line. The first waiter told us that they could not serve food because the kitchen closes at 9… a second one welcomed us to sit because the kitchen closes at 9. Eventually they agreed that we should go, because the ‘chef’ had said that the kitchen was closed (at 8,50). Awful management and reservation system to say the least, can’t say much about their food.

Great food. Take a picture of the chalkboard at the top of the stairs, it's the only listing of wine flights and it's hard to see from your table. Pretty loud upstairs.

Nice place, good quality wine choices. We have been there for a wine tasting event. It was interesting and worth the money. Service could have been better. I understand that it’s a family business. Even for non-wine enthusiasts, there are plenty of options available.
I had a great time at this wine bar. The vibe was super relaxed, making it easy to unwind. I wanted to try the charred Brussels sprouts, but they were out. Our waiter apologized and brought us Arancini instead, which I hadn't planned on ordering but ended up really enjoying. This was a super nice gesture. We also had the White Bean Hummus and Shrimp Tacos—both were delicious. For drinks, we tried the Sophie Rose and a glass of Chardonnay; both were excellent. Overall, the food was flavorful, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was calming. I'll definitely be back.

The cocktail selection is very good, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. I happened in on a night when the kitchen was having a problem, so I can't comment on most of the food. Yesterday, I had a pretty underwhelming experience at The Eastern. I understand the bar can get busy, but the service didn't feel very welcoming. When I sat down, I wasn't greeted right away. I was probably there for about 3 to 4 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. Eventually, I was handed a drink menu and a water. Which came from the barback. Honestly, he was more helpful and attentive than the female bartender. Later on, I noticed a guest sitting a couple seats away was greeted immediately and given water without having to ask. When i asked for my check, I was told it would be brought out after the bartender finished making drinks. I get that it was busy, but the whole interaction made me feel like I wasn't a priority. I hope this feedback helps improve the overall guest experience.

Nothing but good things to say about this place. Service was excellent, food was excellent and wine was excellent. Ashley, our server was amazing. I was not sure what wine I wanted to order and she brought me several samples to help me decide. At the time we arrived there were no seats inside, and it was very cold. As soon as a table opened up indoor she quickly let us know and we were able to enjoy our food and drinks in the warmth. Everything in the cheese and meat plate was delicious with the wine. We also shared the steak entre and it was cooked perfectly and delicious. If you are in the mood for some good wine and bites definitely check them out.

It's a Latin American Wines shop. Was there for an Uruguayan wine tasting. Absolutely fascinating variety of good wines from Uruguay. Make sure to get a bottle of Uruguayan wine, you won't regret it. Just keep in mind that if you try the Tannat (which is the traditional/national sort of wine of Uruguay) which has a rich complex of flavors with a strong juicy acidity, that's because in Uruguay they usually drink it with steaks and meat in general, which balances the flavors. Otherwise, they produce almost all kinds of known common wines aside from Tannat. Grand Cata has a unique collection of not only Uruguayan wines, but from other Latin countries like Chile, and Argentina. Super friendly staff and very friendly vibe, they also sell other products to compliment wine 🍷 like Spanish jamon, olives 🫒 and other appetizers.

My favorite place to buy wine in DC. They have unusual Latin based wines that are a nice treat away from the old world classics that flood the DC market. Go expo something new. The staff are very helpful and easy talk to about their passion.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary and I wish we hadn’t. The staff acted inconvenienced by our visit even though it was completely empty and annoyed by our questions about varietals. We did buy some wine but mostly to limit how unwelcome we felt.

Latin wine-focused shop with a large selection of alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic drinks, food, and gifts. They have a fantastic monthly wine club and are always pouring free tastings of featured wines and holding fun events. A neighborhood gem with friendly staff...you can’t miss it!

Wines and spirits of Latin America. If you're seeking unique and different, this is your place. I walked out with a sparkling wine from Brazil. Note, the Shaw location is the flagship if you're looking for a wide selection. They have really fun and approachable tastings every once in awhile on the weekends - keep your eyes on their Instagram account. During the week their tastings are more guided classes on a specific wine style.

We cannot speak highly enough of the incredible team at Grand Cata. We are members of the wine club, and when planning our wedding knew we wanted to use our favorite neighborhood wine shop as our beer/wine/liquor caterer. Their selection of beer, wine, and liquor was extensive (and delicious!!) and curated with care. Whether we were looking for a specific Gin or seeking recommendations for crowd-pleasing options, their expertise shone through. They took the time to understand our preferences and budget, ensuring that every bottle we selected was perfect for our celebration. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, from arranging a cocktail tasting to coordinating delivery and pickup. Their attention to detail was impeccable, and it truly felt like they were invested in making our wedding day unforgettable. (Special shoutout to Cliff, who was also responsive and thoughtful both in person and via email.) On the big day, everything ran smoothly thanks to their meticulous planning and execution. Our guests raved about the quality of the beverages, and we were thrilled to see everyone enjoying themselves. If you're planning any event, or just looking for a great bottle of wine from a small business, we wholeheartedly recommend Grand Cata. Their passion for their craft, coupled with their outstanding customer service, sets them apart. Thank you for being such an integral part of our special day!! (And we can't wait for our next wine club pickup.)

Établi is a charming French restaurant known for its warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal and connect with others. Tucked away in a corner street, the restaurant offers an intimate yet comfortable space for diners. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that every visit is memorable. While the menu may not be extensive, each dish is crafted with care and love.
Went for their Golden Girl cocktail special, including the St. Olaf for Betty White and the SPCA. However, the food was INCREDIBLE!!! We had the beets, broccoli, pasta, deep dish, and peanut butter cheesecake. This place is understated and tucked away in the corner of a street. The space is intimate but not too crowded and the food was delicious. Their menu may not be expansive but every thing we tried was made with craft and love. Can’t wait to bring out of town guests here.

Bloomingdale’s corner gem. Immediately was sat on a Friday night. Great service. All 3 red wines in our flight were absolutely delicious. The food was really delicious as well. The brie dip was the perfect amount of sweet and salty- highly recommended. We got the vodka pasta and spicy sausage pasta, both were excellent. Ended on the smore Creme brûlée which was like a slutty brownie. Was a great meal and highly recommended if you’re in the area

A great little wine bar with delicious pasta and excellent service. The wine was fabulous too. Staff is attentive. I love when I don't have to ask for water to be refilled. Had a lovely time and will be back.

This place gets 5 stars for the ambiance and service! I ate dinner with my teenage son on a weekday during a sight seeing visit to DC. We had the crostini trio, a pasta dish, and margherita pizza. Although not spectacular, all food was very good. Kiddo did love the added pepperoni on his pizza. We sat at a high top by the bar and loved the relaxed, casual atmosphere. Walking by the patio, I would definitely choose to sit outside on another visit. Our hostess/waitress JaiAnn was very sweet and even suggested some local attractions for us to visit. Worth a try if you like Italian food.

A warm baguette with salami, cheese, and hot honey on a beautiful day outside on the porch—perfect. The scallops were delicious as well.

What a nice dinner! We were hesitant as my idea was to go to the Red Hen opposite the street, but I’m glad we did. Sitting on the terrace on a summer night was very pleasant (but bring a repellent). The waiter (Terry) was super friendly and relaxed, made a great pasta recommendation. The puttanesca fettuccine were indeed a treat, everything homemade and perfectly balanced, with a kick from the pepper flakes. The price is reasonable and we will gladly be back.

Arrived shortly after opening, was immediately greeted and seated in the gorgeous outdoor area facing the neighborhood. Our experience was very lovely, great staff and amazing food! Was thrilled to see it get busy throughout Wednesday night as this cozy neighborhood spot is a must-have!

Gets better every time! Cute neighborhood restaurant, great spot to bring your date, parents, or just a night out with friends. Menu changes slightly due to what’s in season, the first time I had the duck the second time I was bummed the duck was removed but the lamb chop and eggplant that replaced it was to die for!

Little Blackbird is a standout establishment in the neighborhood, offering a unique space with bar seating and tables where patrons can enjoy engaging conversations. The wine program is exceptional, with each dish on the menu having a carefully curated wine pairing. Additionally, they offer delightful candy and wine pairings that provide an authentic exploration of different flavor profiles of wine. The restaurant has quickly become a favorite spot in Cleveland Park due to its outstanding food, extensive wine selection, and cozy ambiance.
Such a fun experience! We told our waitress/sommelier, Megan, to take the wheel and she did not disappoint! Her knowledge and enthusiasm about wine was contagious! We will definitely be back and requesting Megan.

Came for a tasting as part of Tasting Collective and was glad I did. This was truly a great experience. The 5 course tasting had 2 courses (1st & 4th) that needed to be altered as I'm a pescetarian therefore, don't eat duck. So in place of the duck paté, I was served figs and brie and in place of the duck breast I was served branzino. Each course was nicely paired with wine, again adding to this wonderful experience. The fig and brie with the croutons was delicious, followed by the roasted pear with gouda, pecans and pomegranate sprinkles which was a delightful tasty plate. Who would think white chocolate and cauliflower purée would be delicious and pair beautifully with seared scallops? Clearly Chef Moore did and how right was he. That purée had folks at our table scraping to get all of it. The next course was a substitute dish and was beyond disappointing, especially compared to the other 3 courses. The branzino was BLAND, but the olives that were on the side were extra salty. I thought I was supposed to eat them together, but that didn't help. I couldn't even eat this course. The final course was a butterscotch pudding, a great way to end the meal/night. Chef Moore was very welcoming. He answered questions and took pictures with the guests. I'll definitely add this to my list of restaurants.

I host a women’s bar hop every other Friday, and this was our first night exploring Cleveland Park. I picked three spots for the group: Nanny O’Brien’s, Atomic, and Little Blackbird. I had no idea Little Blackbird would completely steal the show. I used to have a little wine bar in my neighborhood before I moved to D.C., one of those cozy spots with big chairs and no reservations needed. I assumed Little Blackbird would be that kind of place. It is not. It is so much more. When we arrived, the place was packed and they were fully booked. I figured we would just move on, but the manager, who was absolutely phenomenal, took my name and number anyway. About thirty minutes later, she called to say they had a table for us on the other side of the restaurant. It was technically a different concept, but they still served the full Little Blackbird menu. That gesture alone said everything about their service. Once we sat down, it only got better. Their playful wine pairings are such a fun twist. I went with the Cheeto pairing, which was phenomenal, and a few others tried the Reese’s and Smarties ones. We learned they even do a Girl Scout Cookie pairing in March, and I already know I will be back for that. The staff are passionate about wine and happy to let you sample even the delicate, higher end pours. It feels like they want you to have a genuine experience, not just a glass of wine. Even though it was a bar hop night and food was not really on the plan, I ended up ordering the gnocchi, which changes seasonally. The fall version was incredible, served in a pumpkin squash sauce with pumpkin seeds and a parmesan cream that sounded odd but worked perfectly. Every bite was rich and balanced. If I could give six stars, I would. The food, the wine, and the service were all phenomenal, but what really stood out was how much fun they make it. It felt playful, elevated, and just special. Little Blackbird made our night and will definitely be part of future bar hops.

There’s something magical about Little Black Bird. It’s the kind of place that draws you in quietly, then stays with you long after the night ends. From the moment we walked in, we were wrapped in a sense of calm sophistication — every detail, from the lighting to the music, felt just right. The food? Thoughtful, elegant, and deeply satisfying. Every dish told a story, and you could taste the care that went into each bite. Chef Ryan is clearly cooking from the heart — there’s a quiet confidence in his food, a respect for ingredients, and a creativity that never feels forced. It’s refined, yet incredibly approachable. The service was equally unforgettable. Sara, the general manager, is the kind of hospitality professional every great restaurant needs. She has an innate grace, a genuine warmth, and a gift for making each guest feel like they’re the most important person in the room. It’s rare to find a restaurant that feels both special and unpretentious, but Little Black Bird nails it. We came in for dinner — we left already planning our next visit. What a gift to have a place like this in DC.

Wanted to celebrate our first anniversary by calling to make a reservation and ensure they could accommodate or offer any special services. Was told champagne and desert would be brought and that a special note was made to our booking. Waited around for our special moment only for it to never happen. I would have made reservations elsewhere to celebrate a special moment. Food was great, location was a little loud, and service was a bit slow. We found ourselves having to flag down our waitress to order wine often. Fantastic casual spot but I would recommend other locations for celebrations.
Jordan H — Google review
Very good food (our favorites: the kale salad, scallops, and the chocolate brioche), good wine, and excellent service. We tried the recommended pairings and didn't love them, but when we decided to end the evening with a non paired wine of our favorite varietal our waiter brought us a taste of two excellent options and the one we selected was amazing. I'm glad we tried the pairings once, but next time we will just get a full pour of our favorite style to pair with the wonderful food!
Amanda S — Google review
The food was spectacular, the service was delightful and the atmosphere is so cute and fun! Colletta was our server and she was incredible. We felt so taken care of and it was such a good experience. We’re already planning the next visit! The butterscotch dessert wasn’t our cup of tea, it’s very Smokey with a touch of butterscotch but overall, we loved the little blackbird! Looking forward to watching this little gem grow in the neighborhood!
Skyler S — Google review
Little Blackbird is our favorite restaurant in Cleveland Park! We have already been 5 times since it opened a few months ago. The food is outstanding, complemented by an extensive wine selection with perfect pairings for each dish. If you don’t want to do one of the pairings suggested on the menu, the server will provide different suggestions as well. The ambiance is cozy and inviting. The excellent service and positive vibes make every visit a wonderful experience every time. My husband and I like to sit at the bar to be served by Kyle, the fantastic bartender who is so knowledgeable about wine. He always explains the characteristics about the wine we are drinking and how it pairs with the flavors in our dish. We learn so much every time we go in. Recently we went and had an awesome dessert pairing experience with 7 sweet treats and 6 wine pairings. This place is always crowded, so definitely make a reservation or show up close to opening to get a seat at the bar. Highly recommend if you are in DC looking for a great spot for dinner and drinks!

No Kisses Bar, located in Washington, DC, is a popular spot known for its unique atmosphere and creative cocktails. The bar offers an innovative approach to mixology with a menu featuring artisanal drinks crafted with quality ingredients. Its eclectic and inviting ambiance makes it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The bar also boasts an expansive selection of natural wines and a cozy outdoor garden for patrons to enjoy.
Hosted my 40th birthday recently for about 25 people and was thrilled. Staff was easy to work with leading up to the event and Morgan & Co. were stellar during. Everyone raved about the food from Sonny's, the interesting wines and cocktails, the $4.50 Utica Clubs, and the overall good vibes of the place. Would absolutely recommend for an event like mine or any general good time.
Christian H — Google review
By no means a dive bar, save your money as the drinks are small and weak and still over $17 after tax and the mandatory 20% gratuity/tip charge. Service was abysmal, had to wait 10 min even tho no one else was at the bar to be served and they had three barkeeps. Then had to remind the barkeep to add the garnish. Friend of mine was DJ so went to support them but would not go back. Just go to Wonderland or Dew Drop better people and atmosphere.
Ryan D — Google review
No kisses bar is a great spot for a cocktail and a slice of Sonny's pizza. It is not a massive space but isn't usually full. Cocktails are premixed which means a smaller selection but are good quality. Regularly vinyl music nights add to the atmosphere.
Cameron B — Google review
This place is awesome! The bar has a great vibe and the drinks are some of the best I’ve had. They also have a huge patio out back that is partially covered so good for any weather. They don’t serve food in house, BUT you can order pizza from the place next door and they’ll bring it over! I love the atmosphere of this place and it may be one of my new favorite bars.
Katie H — Google review
Very cool place. They were able to accommodate a party of 10 on short notice for a Tuesday night which was very cool of them. The dark moody decor and velvet booth seating is nice. The server was clearly very knowledgeable about wine and made some nice recommendations for the party. The food was good. I will say the just tomato sauce pizza was not my fav but I didn't expect it to be. Overall a great experience here. Also the listings for No Kisses and Sonny's pizza are separate, but they are the same place. There is a to go counter and small dining area for just pizza out front but then the back has the bar where the full pizza menu seems to be available. The two spaces have different vibes, but are fully connected.
Mariah H — Google review
I recently hosted a birthday with about 15 people at No Kisses and I was really happy with my experience. Sonny's event planning team was responsive and flexible, and the bartenders the night of were very nice and accommodating. The drinks were strong, delicious and reasonably priced, and was happy we could order pizza too. The bar itself is super stylish, with beautiful velvet booths.
Anita B — Google review
We came here for happy hour and all of their cocktails were great! While we didn't get anything else, their beer/wine selection and food looked really good, too. The outdoor patio in the back was super nice and you can tell they are taking covid seriously–shutting down the inside bar when they could continue to operate it if they really wanted to. On top of that, they are one of the few places moving away from tipping culture and instead adding a standard 20% living wage charge. While we were on our way out I was taking a look at their bottle shop and was quickly directed to the bar where several more bottles were pulled out and introduced! We went over tasting notes, distillery info, and a few tastes of some great spirits which were extremely helpful in narrowing down what to buy. They have a great selection of vermouths and amari that I'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere. We had such a fantastic experience for our first time and will definitely be back very soon!

Twisted Vines Bottleshop & Bistro is a charming fusion of a wine bar, shop, and bistro that offers an eclectic array of culinary delights and tasting events. This hidden gem is perfect for food enthusiasts eager to explore unique flavor combinations like flatbread topped with fig jam and bacon or a poached pear salad featuring goat cheese. The menu also includes comforting options such as grilled cheese paired with basil and tomato dipping sauce, all designed to tantalize your taste buds.
I planned a brunch with friends over the weekend at Twisted Vines, and I had a fantastic experience. If the bottomless mimosas and the exquisite food weren't enough, I was greeted by the front manager (Nick) who hosted and even served our table, constantly checking up on our party and accommodating our food choices. Hands down one of my favorite local spots. If you're looking for a relaxed, yet elegant brunch spot, give this place a shot. Five stars.
Richard P — Google review
After multiple visits I think this is the best short review "pricey but pleasing". Twisted Vines is the kind of local place everyone wants to have in their neighborhood but not everyone wants to pay to dine with. It's a challenge to walk out of there with a low bill - you are going to a "Bottleshop" (slang for Wine Bar north of Richmond) after all, but if you have the money and enjoy service in line with the prices you could do worse. One of the things that makes this place worth a stop is the friendly nature of the staff. They know their wines and their customers. The food is a sampling of items well above the "bar-food" standard lesser wine bars attempt to pass off as exceptional. Selections are thoughtful and satisfying without committing the cardinal sin at any upscale eatery of being "filling". If you want a sincere treat, visit this local gem at brunch and enjoy a wonderfully prepared selection of breakfast staples. Be warned though, the bottomless mimosas have a legally stipulated bottom though it's easy for you and your server to lose count in the rush and bustle of a highly enjoyable brunch.

A cozy bar with an emphasis on wine and an emerging whiskey menu. We tried 3 flights of wines, all of which we loved. I had one rye whiskey, lock stock & barrel, which I loved. We had a small plate of aged cheddar cheese and chorizo which was quite good. The staff were very friendly, engaging, and offered insights into the wines. We loved this place.
Mike E — Google review
Brought a date to Twisted Vines for dinner and romance before heading to a show at the Cinema Drafthouse. Everything from start to finish was perfect. Reservations were easy, the staff very friendly. My date who is a wino loved the selection. I wish there had been more tapas on the menu, but the small plates were delicious and filling. I had crab cakes and my date had mussels. A five star and definite recommend.
Mark B — Google review
If you live, work, or hang out in the Pike, this is your best bet for wine. The space is charming, and - most importantly! - the wine options are excellent, with a range for every taste. Sparkling, big reds, oaky whites - a nice range. Dinner options, however, feel like a bit of an afterthought. Serviceable but not wowing. Better as a pre or post dinner spot for drinks, rather than the center of your evening.
Nick R — Google review
Great staff, most are very knowledgeable on wine. Couple that dont are beer snobs that actuallt work at the beer garden and get their arm twisted into running the wine bar too. Wine selection are good. Also a decent whiskey list.
Craig C — Google review
There's a decent wine and whiskey list, but on the pricier end. Service is really good, though. The place is pretty small and gets booked up on weekends, so be sure to reserve just in case!
Mai N — Google review
This place is a hidden gem especially for foodies and must try if you haven't yet. Lovely combinations on the food items that will have your taste buds smile. Flatbread with fig jam and bacon, poached pear salad with goat cheese, and grilled cheese with basil and tomato dipping sauce. All delightful. Of course they have wonderful wines and beers to pair. Wine fights are great to try a variety. They often have wine tastings to find new selections. There is a parking lot next door as well as in the Halstead apt building catty corner on Walter Reed.
