Bills Fishhouse & Bar is a casual yet elegant dining spot in the heart of the city, offering a modern and sustainable approach to seafood. Overlooking the marina, it provides breathtaking views and a sea-to-plate ethos with an ever-changing menu based on daily catches.
Stopped by on a whim and managed to get a walk in table on a busy Saturday night. So happy we did. All the dishes were amazing. Great flavours and unique. Very special and worth more than the price.
Liqun K — Google review
Staff were great and able to accommodate us, being 20 minutes early. Very kind and happy and communication was great. Well versed in what was in the meals. We loved the house made bread with whipped truffle butter, the oysters and scallops were excellent. We had the 5 dish tasting menu. I would say with the Kingfish, calamari, and swordfish to add a bit more herbal elements and, as well, saltiness and acidity to the dishes. Just slightly left the taste buds wanting a bit more flavour. Overall, it was a great night out and customer service and service delivery was impeccable. Thanks for a great meal.
David M — Google review
From our phone booking to enjoying the tasty delights, this place is 10 stars! We ordered coffin Bay oysters 3 ways, I had charred octopus, hubbie the swordfish. I've recently returned from Italy and ate the best med octopus and I must say, my meal this evening was exceptionally cooked and presented and ever so tender. Hats off chefs!! This restaurant has a cool, energetic vibe and Coral, the owner is a masterstoke that enhances the experience. Let's not forget the mixologist! We had the "spice me" watermelon marg..sensational! We,re headed up to qld and ever so thankful that we were accommoted this evening. On our way back down to Sydney, we'll be returning, guaranteed.
Kerry C — Google review
It is my favourite restaurant in all of Mid North Coast!! I've had two of my wedding anniversaries there and several other special occasions, and it's a place I always make sure to take friends and family to. The service is impeccable, the atmosphere is cozy and fancy, and the volume is tolerable. it's a fantastic excuse to dress up fancy and enjoy amazing oysters and various sea foods. Their drinks and deserts are a MUST to try! This is the restaurant that made me fall in love with oysters and wine. The wine selection is *superb* I can't wait to go back again, and again, and again.
Malin M — Google review
(3.5 stars) While The Stunned Mullet is the place in Port Macquarie to visit for top tier food and wine, Bills Fishhouse & Bar shouldn’t be overlooked. Locals inform me that they change the menu more often, too, which is a factor when you live in a place with limited dining options. Popping in on Wednesday night for a simple plate with a mate, the welcome was warm and the restaurant was packed wall-to-wall. A glass window into the fish fridge showed off the daily catch: swordfish from an hour up the road in South West Rocks, blue eye cod from Sydney, and Pacific oysters and king prawns from South Australia. I stuck with my hometown and a fat fillet of blue eye cod ($47) in a hearty bisque of Balmain bug and prawns. It’s gentled by crème fraiche and tiny littleneck clams from over the ditch in Westhaven. Environmental concerns keep me from ordering trout farmed in Macquarie Harbour. However, my dining companion enjoyed his thin, golden, ocean trout fillet ($45) presented on a healthy mix of edamame, puffed wild rice and black beans. We shared baby eggplant ($18)—charred almost beyond recognition—over labneh cut by juicy pomegranate arils. It should have been served with side plates, along with a spoon and shell bowl for the bisque. For a midweek dinner, the by-the-glass list holds enough interest. The 2022 Coppabella Pinot Noir ($15.50/glass) showed Tumbarumba is well worth considering if you drink pinot noir.

Highly recommend Bills Fishhouse & Bar!!! We are from the Gold Coast and had 1 night in Port Maq, not knowing where to go. My partner and I eat out frequently and consider ourselves fairly harsh critics - so happy we chose Bills, all food was amazing but the Barramundi was a standout. I haven’t stopped talking about it, hands down the best barramundi dish of my life (I grew up in Darwin and have eaten a lot of it!!). The staff were so very friendly, food came out timely & the atmosphere was perfect. We had the best date night and can’t fault anything!! Well done guys, we hope to be back!!
Hayley S — Google review
My wife and I go here every year for our anniversary dinner and every year we are left speechless. You walk in and your greeted with a beautiful welcome and a atmosphere that forces you to relax and enjoy the food to come. Nothing is a problem for the staff, they never give you the feeling of being rushed or being too busy. I feel 5 stars doesn't give bills the credit it's due. We always order the chefs tasting. A 5 course taste phenomenon that leaves you not only full but mesmerised in how they can achieve flavours like this. I simply can't recommend this place higher. The owner should be incredibly proud of all their staff and everything they have created. Well done.
C “ — Google review
The 5-course tasting menu was wonderful and perfectly sized. Timing of delivery also perfect 👌 - not rushed. We already were sipping our bottle of Orange/ Mudgee Pinot Noir so didn’t do the matched wines. We arrived at 5.30pm Tuesday on opening and were fortunate to get a table. Restaurant was full by 7pm. Will definitely book next time.

The food scene includes Italian pizza, wineries, and breweries, adding to the region's culinary richness. At The Burger Rebellion, guests can enjoy classic and contemporary burgers featuring a variety of meats as well as bunless burger bowls, salads, and options for those with dietary restrictions.
Price is a bit on the higher side (though probably about average for this area) and portion sizes are a bit on the smaller side but in the end it was a very filling and delicious meal. Loaded fries were crisp and delicious. Burgers had nice thick juicy chicken fillets and overall tasted very nice. Milo malted thick shake was superb. Left feeling very full and content. Staff are also very friendly and no issues with the service.
Alex C — Google review
Nice burger joint! Loved the music selection. Had the Old School. Definitely juicy. Upgrades to onion rings. And small Proper Vanilla shake, nothing but proper and made on the spot!
Charlie V — Google review
Ordered the Beef Massive attack. The burger was good. The patty had good flavour to it and the sauce was good. It was filling and delicious. The fries were good but the seasoning was not evenly spread out. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was good.
Cyril R — Google review
Really great experience couldn’t have asked for more. Went to grab a couple of takeaway burgers for myself my mum and my son. When the chef saw I was trying to work out something to get for my son he came over and actually helped when I told him what my son liked. He gave some very helpful suggestions. The serving staff are very very friendly with a smile on their face. The food here is amazing. I had a bacon and egg roll which was beautiful my son had one of the burgers with bacon and cheese and sauce on it and my mum also had a bacon and egg roll and all of us were very very happy they tasted delightful, thank you so much . You can really tell that your area of expertise is in the burger because every one of them was perfection.

What a fabulous find. Best burgers we have ever had. Big call however stand by the message. The Korean fried burger amazing. Fries perfect. Not to be missed if visiting Port Macquarie
Stephen K — Google review
Overpriced and completely Average. Ordered the Double Beef Massive Attack ($35) and fries ($5) takeaway and have to say for the price it was disappointing. Had to eat it with a Knife and Fork as bun was soggy. Not sure weather this was due to having to wait 10 to 15 mins for other people to order despite my order being ready. Maybe there should be some pro-active employees asking if anyone has ordered take away to avoid phone orders waiting too long.
Dean P — Google review
Went here for a birthday. Was absolutely shocked that a $25 burger looked like a McDonalds cheeseburger. $24 nachos is a quarter bag of LITERAL out of the bag Doritos with some slop, and the salad was some stone cold burnt chicken pieces on a wet sloppy salad. I've eaten food from sketchy looking places in backstreet alleys in third world countries and have never in my entire life (I'm 32) been served food as appalling. There was a 40 minute wait time when the shop was rather empty on a friday night (I can see why), the birthday girl was served a milkshake by a half-cut looking bloke in a flanno who I at first mistook for another patron. I'm really surprised because the photos of the food on google reviews look absolutely amazing, but sadly are the complete opposite of what was received.
Tim — Google review
Soggy buns weren't great, fell apart while eating. Service and atmosphere wasn't anything special, and they forgot to add halloumi I'd paid for. New owner or new POS system made the interaction bit clunky, but maybe with some time and tweaks place will be alright. Fries were nice enough but to spend as much as I did I'd have been far better off going to a fast food joint and getting triple the food

Lovely little cafe with seating out front. Visit in good weather as there isn't much cover other than umbrellas. Great selection of food on offer and quick and friendly service. Excellent views over City beach. A lovely place to stop when walking the coastal walk.

Extremely reasonable for such exceptional food and how good is everything I had! Toasted ham, cheese and tomato was delicious. Banana bread toasted with real butter is off the charts. This crew knows food very well and has great customer service. I will be back.

This casual cafe is known for its delicious acai bowls, and the coffee is nothing to sneeze at either. Be sure to try their Bircher muesli, bagels and nourish bowls for breakfast – all are guaranteed to give you energy all morning.
We ended up finding this cosy cafe on the Kings B'day Monday long weekend as most of the other local cafes in town were closed. Our timing was perfect as after we put our eat in order there was a mass influx of customers wanting breakfast. We ordered the Bacon and Egg Burger and Chorizo omellete and both were very tasty and prepared well. Our flat whites were also on point and was thoroughly enjoyed. Good value for money as well as great service was provided. Definitely coming back when we next visit Port.

Nice Cafe is located at a nice view. Coffee can be better since it didn't taste well as expected. Service on the other hand was quite alright.
Katherine X — Google review
We have dined there several times on the way to Sydney and the food and service were top notch. However on the way back to Brisbane (36/9/25) The service took half an hour and the scrambled eggs tasted like plastic. The toasted sandwich( no croissants available) , could I have gotten a better one at a roadside diner? Yes! Very dissatisfied,
Neville S — Google review
Nice cafe located just beside the beach. Their food was quite nice with our favourite being the waffles! Their food is quite aesthetic like the French toast and Mediterranean toast too but tasted average. Would visit again just for casual brunch in the area as it was just below our apartment.
Idkjusteat — Google review
Breakfast was a mixed experience, nice coffee but simply the worst big breakfast we've ever eaten. It was cold, the scrambled eggs were dry and tasted like powdered eggs and the mushrooms seemed to be have been thru a dehydrator. Bacon (also cold) was a short cut and quite tasteless - we did enjoy the bread
Ian R — Google review
Best Coffee I'd had all week! ☕️ Staff was friendly and attentive, especially for being first thing in the morning. Customers looked after in a timely manner, and the wait time was to be expected for a Brekky rush. Decided to give this place a try even with unsatisfied customer reviews and was glad we did. Have no complaints with Staff or Service we received and will definitely be back when we're in town again.

Had coffee here with a friend - friendly and quick service, coffee's good. Little bit of street noise, but overall still worth a visit.

Food was good however after 40 minutes of waiting for it we went and checked and were advised it would be another 5-10 minutes but had to wait another 20 minutes. Not good enough to have to wait an hour for a quick meal.

Mekong Thai Lao Restaurant is a waterfront dining spot in Port Macquarie, offering authentic Thai and Laos flavors. Customers have praised the delicious food, friendly staff, and beautiful location. The restaurant is known for its refreshing Asian cuisine made with local seafood and produce. While some mention higher prices and occasional service issues, others highly recommend the place for its great food and professional staff.
Fantastic flavour and very traditional. The meals were spot on. Restaurant is in an amazing location with fantastic views. Great beer and wine menu to match.
Chad R — Google review
Dropped by Mekong Thai Lao Restaurant for lunch over the weekend and had a pretty good experience. I ordered just for myself—the portion size was reasonable, and the food tasted just fine, fresh and satisfying overall. What I liked was their menu; it’s extensive with a great variety of options, letting you try lots from both Lao and Thai cuisines. The staff was friendly and happy to accommodate dietary requirements, which is great if you have any special requests. Bathrooms are outside—you just need to ask staff for the key, which is handy. The real highlight was the waterfront view, which made the meal feel extra special. Plus, street parking is available, so getting there was really easy. Menu is a bit pricy though! Restaurant is closed on mondays and opens for lunch and dinner for most other days except tuesday, wednesday which are only for dinner.

Great gluten free options, coeliac aware. Had fresh oysters and gf pad si ew. Great cocktails, nice selection of wine and lovely views out into Port Macquarie waterways

The tom yum soup is delicious and intense. The coconut rice even by itself is so delicious! Partnered with their Penang curry was amazing! Also very friendly staff and beautiful view. We last came here 11 years ago and specifically came back just for the tom yum!
Sara W — Google review
Beautiful open environment next to the water, perfect ambience for relaxing dinner. The pad Thai with chicken and fried rice were decent although on the sweeter end of the scale. Was not a huge fan of the soft shell crab entree. The staff were attentive and friendly. Price was on the higher end but should be expected for a waterside restaurant. Overall was a good experience and would try again!
Rish M — Google review
Extremely impressive Thai food. Great staff with excellent service. Very helpful and hospitable. The soft shell crab is amazing. Super tender and well fried. They were not skimping on ingredients and each dish was loaded with good portions of seafood. Great glass noodle seafood salad. Will definitely come back
Jarrod S — Google review
The restaurant is beside the water. Nice water views if you sit along the windows. We ordered an entry of soft shell crab, whole BBQ sniper fish and pork neck dishes. All tasted good, especially the soft shell crab and the sniper, so tasty
Brenda Y — Google review
Situated on the waterfront at restaurant was busy and very popular. The drinks service was lacking in the night we visited. Appeared only one staff member was on drinks service while and array of other staff were walking around aimlessly. The meals lacked the punch and flavour would expect form Thai/Lao cuisine and a tad overpriced.

Chop 'n Chill is a dining spot with a pleasant atmosphere and great drinks. However, some customers have expressed disappointment with the food, particularly those with dietary restrictions like Coeliac disease. They felt that the portion size and quality of their meals did not measure up to what others received for the same price. On a positive note, Chop 'n Chill offers frozen meal options as part of their "Kerbside Karryout" menu, which can be easily heated at home.
Perfect for a morning coffee in the sun & nicely protected from the Port Macquarie Autumn winds. The coffee & service is great & there is lots of outdoor seating & a nice outlook. Food starts at 11.30am & I will definitely be back again to try the menu.

We had just flown into Port Macq as the Mrs is running some work so since we hadn't eaten anything, we headed out for lunch. Chops looked good so we decided to check it out. Our burgers came out and they looked great. I only have 1x small niggle. My double cheese smoked brisket was excellent but it would be better if the brisket was in one piece then in small pieces. It would be easier to eat. So apart from that I can't fault anything. Great work.
Nick Z — Google review
Really good location, nice view! Staff are very friendly and nice. Served us really good food, which was prepared immediately after we ordered. Definitely loved the Scallops n’ Prawns! That xo sauce is bomb!! A must-order on their menu. Will definitely come back ❤️
Den P — Google review
Cute restaurant by the water, the atmosphere was cute and very clean. The staff were friendly enough except for one of them making an off-handed comment on how quickly my mom finished her food which was not appreciated. Food is not worth the price you pay for it. I got the vermicelli salad which for $25 was incredibly small and underwhelming. I think it was also bulked up by an entire red onion, so I will not be kissing anyone tonight. My brother got the double cheese smoked brisket burger, he said it was average, very messy. The chips were well cooked, but seemed to be unseasoned. We went on a Thursday evening and there was a lot of seating available, but maybe gets more busy in the summer months. Don't think I will be going back.
Sophia — Google review
Menu looked appealing with Asian fusion options like spring rolls, wings, vermicelli noodles. Ordered seafood chowder and hubby had fish and chips. The chips (fries) were tasty and fish (beramundi) was flaky. Chowder was disappointing. $30 for small serving containing two shrimp, some fish and assorted clams. Spring rolls were similarly high priced for what you get - 2 spring rolls $19. We also ordered wings which strangely come whole including the wing tip. It's not a bad place but I left still hungry after spending similar amount at restaurants in Sydney. Cocktails were interesting and fun and $15 Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun

Really great experience had the best tasting steak I think I’ve ever had in my whole entire life no exaggeration. Perfect portion sizes, great atmosphere down by the water, staff very friendly helpful and welcoming. Would recommend Chop And Chill to anyone in the area don’t miss out. It really is a great dining experience.
Beckaboo3397 ( — Google review
⭐ I ordered the grilled fish and chips with coleslaw for $29, but it was disappointing. and the portion was small for the price. The fish like cat bite , The milkshake also tasted more like plain milk and wasn’t even a full glass. Overall, not worth the money — presentation and quality need improvement.
Tinamelinda 3 — Google review
What a lovely restaurant. On our first dining experience here, we ordered the Lemon Meringue, the Jack of Hearts and the Chop Monk, each of which were excellent cocktails, especially the Chop Monk. Our entree of trio of bread, followed by the roti tacos and chicken nasi goreng was delicious. Particularly the Nasi Goreng, which was seasoned to perfection such that it had a nice chilli kick, but not so much that you needed water. We returned to the restaurant for breakfast, purchasing two delicious muffins, a juice and an iced coffee. All of which exceeded out expectations. If you're looking for a nice casual restaurant that does it all, then this is the place to be.

During my recent adventure in Beachport, I stumbled upon a delightful gem known as Margaret & Sons Pasta Place. This family-run Italian restaurant truly embodies the essence of comfort and warmth that every traveler seeks. The menu is impressively diverse, featuring a variety of homemade dishes that are clearly marked for easy selection. Each plate was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, making it hard to resist indulging in dessert afterward.
A very charming restaurant that with an aesthetic that really speaks to its family owned authenticity. The atmosphere makes you feel at home. can’t go wrong with the home made sauces, the Lover of Meats pizza does something special that Pizza places can’t seem to get right with the sauces. Pasta and salad are an appropriate portion for the S/M/L options they give you. 10/10

This little pasta restaurant serves the tastiest pasta. Excellent choice of pasta dishes. Great tasting food. The softest yet cruchiest garlic bread. Good Selection of cheese cakes. Indoor or outdoor seating. BYO booze. (Bottleshop next doorish) Great service and reasonable prices. We will be visiting again soon, this time for lasagna. Dine in and take away meal deals available.

The kids wanted pasta! We ordered the cabornara. The service was friendly and efficient. Food was sensational 😋 and well priced. I actually thought we got a bargain. Great little restaurant 👌🏾 😀 We will definitely visit again when in Port Macquarie. A1!

We have going to the restaurant for over 5 years on our annual trip to Port Macquarie. Attended last night and it will be the last. I will start with the only positive, the young waitresses were lovely and did a great job. The food and wait times were terrible. Didn’t receive entree’s until almost 1 hour after arriving. Ordered garlic bread, and a pizza. The garlic bread was burnt, flavourless and looked like it was store bought pre-made. The pizza was soggy, and undercooked. The mains were ravioli and penne pesto. The dishes came out separate and we couldn’t eat together. The ravioli was over cooked and flavourless. We were watching the microwave being used all night to reheat food, and suspect our ravioli got the microwave treatment. The penne pesto was inedible. The penne was over cooked and like mush, the pesto was literally pesto out of a jar and it tasted raw, and we asked for chicken to be added. The chicken was hardly noticeable as there wasn’t much and it was finely shredded and added as an afterthought’s. I don’t think the dish was ‘microwaved’ long enough! We mentioned it to the waitress who went and spoke to who we assume is Margaret. The waitress returned and advised that they were more than happy to cook us another dish but we have to pay for both. The waitress was lovely and looked nervous and said ‘I hope you don’t yell at me’ rather than the Chef coming to speak with us, she sent her very young and lovely waitress to relay her message. Overall the waitresses were great, but the food was disgusting. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy, so that can’t be an excuse. The pasta also didn’t taste home made. I think the hardest worker in the kitchen was the microwave. Heard it going off all night. Avoid this place.

Absolutely delicious food and gelato. Service was amazing and soo friendly. 100% Recommend P.S. the gelato and moose are to die for. 😍

I don’t understand the 1 star reviews. I’m from the Gold Coast and came here for a family dinner. The staff were lovely, the food was great and the place random and is very old school Italian. The prices are reasonable and I would certainly come back. Also, it’s a BYO, so no rip off wine charges. If you don’t go expecting a flashy Italian joint, this will be the place.

We were told there is no dine-in after 6 pm but when we went at 7, people were sitting and eating, maybe it was fully booked. There was a 25 min wait on food and there was a buzzer given to us. However, no one bothered to ring the buzzer. We went after about 40 min and realized they forgot about the order. They did apologize though. The food was alright, everyone enjoyed.

Absolutely loved this place! Tried Pipeworks Cafe for breakfast while at Port Macquarie on holidays. It was so good we went back to have dinner and breakfast the next day. The service was high great. It was the first cafe I have found which had lactose free ice-cream for a frappe.

I eat here weekly for breakfast but i have also tried the dinner/lunch menu as the guys are more than happy to serve you a pizza or pasta in the morning . The owners and staff are genuine, kind and friendly and they serve food that not only looks good but taste amazing.

Best service in Port Macquarie! i ordered a coffee and some lunch the food was amazing, but the real highlight? The big guy behind the coffee machine 😍. Fast hands, smooth coffee, and a smile that could make anyone melt. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind if he added his little extra “cream” to my order next time 😉. Definitely coming back for the coffee and the eye candy!

Best pizza in mid north coast Best service for a pizza shop Superb taste Spoilt for choices I have visited the shop two times and loved the food. Garlic bread calazone style Vegetarian 🍕...all of the options were tasty , nicely flavored, not too spicy, perfect tomato sauce in it. The food tasted authentic and Italian on one hand and rustic and Australian..on the other. I think the freshest ingredients were used to prepare the pizzas. In Port Macquarie...this is the place to have authentic sumptuous delicious pizzas with generous portions as well.

The reef and beef pizza here rocks my world. I'm in town on business, figured I'd give this place a go, and it did not disappoint. Literally my only criticism is: charging $4 for a can of Coke is probably a little steep, but the pizza is worth every cent

OMG!!!! We have just moved to the area, and I can guarantee that if we had a pizza obsession in our last town there is no way we would have moved! Kids absolutely loved the ham and pineapple, the missus devoured the vegetarian (she threw on some jalapenos for extra punch, which was no drama for the guys), and I am in love with the pesto chicken pasta. Ordered via the app with great ease, delivered straight to the new house’s door by a very friendly delivery driver and the kids got to experience there first pizza and movie night on the new lounge room floor. 10 out of 10 guys can’t wait for our next feed.

Yummy!! Delicious pizza's with great servings!! The picture with the lemon is the vegan pizza 🍕 and it was Devine with the lemon only thing I can say is a lil bit of avocado and she's a winner!! Highly recommended this joint. One of the best out of the pizza shops in Port.

I've been a regular to this pizza store for many years now and generally they are good but not so today. The Supreme pizza was drowning in tomato paste so much so that with every bite it would ooze out and couldn't taste anything but tomato paste making the base totally soggy. I'll give them one more try if it's as bad as today's then I'll ho elsewhere.

The menu offers a variety of dishes such as mixed grill platters and mince pide, all made with fresh ingredients. The seating capacity both indoors and outdoors is ample, providing a bustling yet welcoming atmosphere.
Great seating capacity inside and out. Quite busy at all times with all foods made freshly. We had mixed platter and mince pide. Pide had thin base and quite tasty. Platter is huge severe, states 2 but 3 can eat, depends how hungry you are. Great service and friendly staff. They look after any specific dietary requirements and accommodate quites easily. Recommended this place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The chicken pide was cooked to perfection, crispy & thin. The salad and stuffed vine leaves were fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful and happy to explain the dishes. Thank you for a delicious lunch.

This was an excellent meal and well priced. The waitress was EXCEPTIONAL, I think her name was Georgia. Definitely recommend this place for a good feed and delightful service. Hands down, my favourite dine in/takeaway restaurant in Port Macquarie. Amazing Turkish food experience. Mixed BBQ Platter is one my favourites on the menu. The pides taste super fresh and cheesy. Have been a regular customer since this place opened, they have consistently maintained high standard of service and excellent quality of food. Definitely recommend! 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic dining experience. Food and staff are all amazing. This is the first time a chef has ever come out of the kitchen to review my choices after learning I have coeliac disease. Seperate fryer, very knowledgeable and aware of cross contamination issues. Will definitely be returning.

Went there on 02/01, table booked for 4 (2 adults and 2 Children). Place looked a bit chaotic, tired staff (probably overworked). Ordered Falafel (comes with a gravy dipped, Chi Kofta, large serving of all dips and Turkish bread, mixed plate (adana, chicken and lamb), two apple tea with a total of $130 approx. we tasted every dish and within 5 minutes we were out as nothing was edible and bland with no flavours whatsoever. Strange, no staff cared when we left the place to check if everything was OK. They did not even ask if we got our apple tea - we did not bother to even check. We grabbed ice cream from blue cow and went walking. Disappointing experience overall.

This is the best pizza I have had in a long time. This is five stars through and through. Base, sauce, toppings, prep and cooking. This is so good it’s all the more reason to holiday in Port Macq more often. Lucky locals.
Jonathan N — Google review
Our Bel Air special was a very good pizza and would have it again. Deducted a star as it lacked sauce and for some reason had no pepperoni on it. (would fix the sauce next time). Not a major issue but we would of eaten our pizza fresh at the shop had there been somewhere to sit. We ended up on the headland so not a prob.
JASON W — Google review
Absolutely delicious! Pizzas here are big, fresh, and loaded with toppings, without feeling too heavy or greasy. Prices are decent for what you get, these are a lot more filling than any big-chain pizza - one large pizza and a garlic bread could easily feed two people. Make sure you check the opening hours to avoid disappointment - I believe they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays! Pictured in my photo is a half-half Mexicana and Hawaiian. Delicious!
Matt J — Google review
Visiting town. Hands down the best Pizza I have had, and I’ve tried it all. Light and crisp base, fresh toppings. I got the supercharged supreme with chilli flakes (no olives or anchovies) and we also got the chicken delight. Unbelievable. I’ve eaten a pizza and feel like I’ve had a rice paper roll. So good. Get in lads. ✊🏻
Simon N — Google review
Well the past few years have been awesome. Unfortunately I feel the company has changed hands. The pizza bases are no longer the same but still nice and the banana pizza was a disappointment. Previously it was covered in white chocolate now it’s miserable. Not the same is all I can say.
Mullo M — Google review
On Wednesday night I came in and ordered two medium pizzas. They told me it will be a 40minute wait and I agreed. When I came back they said it’s going to be another 25 minutes! I understand it was state of origin night and maybe they were short staffed but they could have thrown in a complementary drink or garlic bread for my wait. Pizzas were a little on the doughy side because bases weren’t fully cooked, toppings okay. I may give them the benefit of the doubt and try again one day but only if I’m desperate.
Family2198 F — Google review
WOW! Other pizzerias need to take note!!! ALL FRESH and nothing frozen here! Each mouthful a flavour hit! The toppings were PLENTIFUL with perfectly done cheese to top! Not greasy and a lovely crispy yet soft pizza base. Has real authentic taste and as the box says "Best in town". After trying all pizza places in Port Mac....I can say without a doubt this one I enjoyed the most. Amazing meal.

Bought chips 2 weeks prior. Good and plenty of them. Yesterday, went back and bought FISH and some chips. I had 3 fish bits and they were very dry and overcooked. My husband had grilled fish, which he said was "nice", but an hour and a half later had his head in the toilet bowl!! Recovered overnight thankfully. Nice staff though.
Margaret W — Google review
Unlikely to return. 3 times over the month I have given Charlie’s a go, each time the chef has been throwing things around and looking like he would rather die than work there. Tonight half my order sat for over 15 minutes while waiting for 1 wrap. No communication between staff to discuss food times, so of course when I got home our food was cold and soggy. Very poorly managed, I understand they may be understaffed but in that instance they should reduce their hours to stay consistent.
Amy B — Google review
Would recommend. Menu has plenty of burger and wrap options, meal deals and sides. The snitty works burger was massive and reasonably priced ($15). Chips and scallops were pretty good, although the batter was a bit undercooked. Staff were nice. Overall, it's a well-priced, big-value takeaway place.
Brad — Google review
We had the $40 fish & chips & chicken nuggets family pack, plus a few individual burgers ($10-$14). The burgers were great! They even have a few healthier options, like breakfast burgers ($8) or grilled chicken burgers with lettuce, tomato, etc. From when we ordered, our large order took about 20 minutes. The fish & chips & nuggets were all very oily and salty, which I guess is what you should except for what you're ordering. Next time I would tell them to go light on the salt for the chips, because there was so much.

Grilled fish and caesar salad was delicious! Will be getting again while im in town for work.

To all the staff working on the 18/9/25. What a great team. Drive through was out onto the road. The staff were very very busy but still polite and obliging. The food was so hot and delicious. When we left all cars had been served. What a great job and team effort.

Very unhappy with my experience, I was in line and was ignored as soon as I walked in. Someone then proceeded to push in front of me and happened to be seen to immediately. When i raised attention to this it was shrugged off and the person serving us was very rude. After I left I received a call from Red rooster in Sydney abusing me for having a complaint directed at their staff and before I could even respond they ended the call. I'm incredibly unimpressed with the unprofessionalism I have seen today and I will no longer be a customer.
Brendan R — Google review
Very disappointing experience. I placed an order around 8:05 PM, but they cancelled it at 8:25 PM without proper notice, stating the reason was because they were closing at 9 PM. I called them, and they promised a refund—but I still haven’t received it. Previously, I also had an issue with an excessive wait time for a pickup order, even though customers who arrived later received their food before me. The staff appeared busy cleaning rather than serving customers properly. Customer service and communication both need serious improvement.

They are more interested in serving the drive thru waited 20 minutes to be served then another 20 minutes for food so did 4 other people chicken pieces very over cooked very dry burger had an over load of dressing that all l could taste was as if l was given a bottle of it to drink absolutely disgusting and this has happened more than once and the staff don't care complaining doesn't make any difference.

$200 a night and they have live music playing past midnight they don't tell you about that keeps everyone awake. Really not sure how this allowed. Rooms also couldn't be more basic if you tried. *Update* went and spoke to management as the music has continued past midnight, I was essentially told it's my fault for booking and it's not his problem. How is this place in business.

Like most pub/hotels don't expect too much from the rooms but there's enough to do in port macquarie that you won't want to stay in your room. That said if you're planning on staying a week you will need some time to unwind and i would recommend it. Location is great, big plus for the hotel.

GET AWAY FROM HERE!!!! This gotta be the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, nothing possible in the whole country can compared to this. I am never a picky person when it comes to hotels and hostels. If I was to rate this out of 10, I’ll give it a solid -99/10. I’m trying to be generous already, I’d say it’s fair. Mouldy walls in bathroom and sheets, broken shower tabs and maximum 3 minutes of hot water (did not even turn on any cold water), if u turn 1 mm to the left of the cold water tab, bet u would get 0 minute of hot shower. Absolutely horrific. They party right beneath ur bed until 2 am. Gotta say they do have great speakers, would rock ur wall from top to bottom, I could literally hear the walls shaking. Your whole body will also rock with the music, FANTASTIC! It also kinda sucks cuz check out is at 10 am, could barely get any sleep at night but still gotta wake up for check out😝. Tried to buy ear plugs from the closest gas stations but don’t have any, now I’m up tired typing this review🤩 For people who’s planning to stay here, stay away. It gives u itchy rush because how unsanitary the sheets are. But if u like to rave and party alone in ur room after a long day and get no sleep, it’s for u. Good thing about this hotel are the staffs, very friendly and welcoming👍

This is a gem. While the decor is average there is a lovely view of the Hastings River and the marina. The highlight is the food - delicious. Far better than some more upmarket restaurants but not the prices to much. The prices at Quay Lime are cheap for the quality of the food. The staff are a delight. Should not be missed.

We came across this by accident staying at the Rydges next door. The coffee came out a little hot, but was delicious once it cooled a little. The bacon and eggs were fantastic and not expensive (about $11) for a good dose of bacon. Sitting in the winter sun by the window was wonderful and I felt nice and toasty by the end. Staff are friendly and attentive. Over all a pleasant morning.

Worst 'Pizza' we (6 people) have EVER tasted. The pizza base was awful, not fresh but the frozen type, the toppings were appalling and you guys should be ashamed serving these things to customers. The seafood was far from fresh and the fish cocktails tasted more like fish innards. For everyone's sake, please taste your food before you serve it. Two stars for the great location and good service from friendly staff, it's just a pity about the 'food' itself.

I found it to be very average food for expensive prices. I will complinent their delicious aioli. I ordered a steak and it was over cooked for what I ordered. It was however still very tender. My friends had the Quay Lime Pie for dessert and it was just plain cheesecake coloured bright green

Jumbos Playland is a fantastic indoor play center that caters to children aged 2-10, making it the perfect spot for families looking to keep their little ones entertained. With an array of attractions including swings, slides, games, and a giant maze, kids can safely expend their energy while parents relax with a delicious cup of coffee in the fully air-conditioned environment. Open every day of the week, this vibrant venue shines especially on rainy days when outdoor activities are off the table.
Wonderful play center, friendly staff, great coffee and good value for money in comparison to smaller play centres locally on the mid north coast that have less equipment and activities. Would recommend Jumbos to anyone looking to escape the heat or rain with their littles.

We've moved to Port a year ago. I have 1 and 2 years baby and this place is just perfect! I THINK they should get more goos reviews. They are clean, great staff, kids enjoyed a lot. Im so glad port macquarie has this kinds of kids area.
SangaFit S — Google review
Our son had a great time here and there was lots for him to explore. The equipment was mostly in a good condition, although some items could do with a refresh.
Kerbray — Google review
Old, dirty, broken! Slides that are filthy, cracked and don't slide. The mat on the trampoline is loose and not springy... a mattress would give better bounce than the trampoline. Many of the toys and play things are broken or have missing pieces. Inflatable slide patched together with what looks like flubber. Jumbos boasts that they are the largest indoor play centre on the Mid North Coast (NSW). If so, then the others must be tiny! At$13.90 (weekend price for 2-10 y/o) it is also way over priced! Unsupervised kids picking on and pushing smaller children around, even punching them. They also do not seem to enforce their 'no socks, no play' policy. Pros - air conditioning and plenty of seating and tables for parents. Though tables rarely get cleaned. Left over food everywhere.
Damien M — Google review
Great value for money, lots for younger kids to play and explore, does get pretty busy and loud (as expected)
Elise M — Google review
$16.90 for 3 Dino nuggets, a cheap popper and a packet of tiny teddies is an absolute joke. For almost $17 you would expect a filling, nutritious meal at least! What a rip off. $3.80 for a bottle of water is also ridiculous. There is nothing healthy for kids on the menu and it was pretty disappointing considering it cost over $30 for two kids to play. I'd suggest adding a small fruit salad for $5.
Lauren S — Google review
Ordered the wedges and they came with a very generous portion of sour cream and sweet chilli sauce. UNHEARD OF IN THIS DAY & AGE. Kids had an awesome time too.
Chris P — Google review
Thanks for such a great day! I thought our bub might be too little to enjoy it here but he had the best time, and probably only explored 3/4 of the place. A nice surprise was the food was actually really good too! Well done on providing such a fabulous experience for families, I'm so happy we made the drive up.

If you're on the hunt for a true taste of Australia, look no further than Ridgey Didge Pies. This local counter-serve chain specializes in traditional pies filled with hearty meat and fresh vegetables, making it a beloved spot for both locals and visitors alike. Known for their exceptional flavors, these pies are crafted fresh on-site using quality ingredients sourced from local farmers.
Being on holidays all I have wanted was a good pie. Well what can I say from Victoria to Qld I have finally tasted the bloody best pie ever. The flavour of you plain pie is unbelievable? Hubby had a rosemary mint lamb pie and he was surprised how good it tasted. Hubby being a baker himself said its a bloody good pie. Don't go past this shop you have to have one.
Tina W — Google review
Over priced and unfriendly. I was charged $18, for a small chips, gravy, 2 squeeze sauces and a sausage roll. When I checked my bank to see what I was charged and complained, he told me I had asked foe a medium chips! But still $18 for that! I'm a local, I won't be back ever.
Rose W — Google review
Great pie , and awesome cheese and bacon sausage roll. Best one I've had . But ,,, $ 14.75 thought that is way to much for those two items. Will be checking prices when ever I go back. Hoping the casier just made a mistake.

My 1st visit to Ridgey Didge Pies won't be my last as the beef burger and chips my wife and I purchased were definitely Ridgey Didge. We'll give the very yummy looking pies a go next time and I'm confident we won't be disappointed. I felt sorry for the poor bloke behind the counter who was by himself and working his butt off in front of a 'staff wanted' sign.
Speedway S — Google review
I definitely give 4 stars on the food. Absolutely delicious. Roast meat is perfect. Unfortunately I didn't get a friendly staff member, totally unprovoked and unnecessary to be rude, especially when the customer was only being friendly. Its a possibility the staff members may be over the business or may be she was having a bad day. If so, I definitely understand this but please don't take it out on others.
CHOOKA — Google review
Exceptionally good pies, cooked fresh on site. Coffee, burgers, breakky options. An authentic Aussie business supporting local farmers... HIGHLY recommend.
Vanessa P — Google review
intense service, food was good and warm but customer service not great. 24 dollars for some nuggets and a small serving of chips. said takeaway but gave us plates, napkins and a board??
Lara M — Google review
Family friendly business with great tasting food! I always have the roast beef and gravy roll but recently I tried the Chicken Carbonara pie and my God it was delicious 🤤 highly recommended

Ocean Court is a well-located apartment complex with top-floor units that offer great views. While the location is praised, it's worth noting that there are several stairs to climb, which may not be suitable for older individuals. Nonetheless, many visitors have enjoyed their stay in this lovely accommodation.
Great apartment. We loved it.
