Hidden Rooms is a stylish cocktail lounge and nightclub located in the heart of Cambridge, tucked away beneath the streets in a former Victorian Roman Baths. The intimate space offers secluded, curtained booths and a sunken garden with table service. It's known for its creative cocktails, prestigious spirits, and live music events, making it the perfect place to start or end your evening in Cambridge.
Such a great bar for casual or romantic drinks, a real hidden gem indeed, all of their drinks are spot on and clear espresso martini is really entertaining, staffs are super friendly too and the vibes are great, would definitely return soon
Kenny G — Google review
I have never written a review here before, but Hidden Rooms was too amazing not to. Marcus and Rob were such welcoming presences at the door, immediately making me feel comfortable and at home. The bartender, Luke, was incredibly kind and helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was brought in a timely order, the glasses were perfectly chilled, drinks were delicious, and the service was impeccable. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and hope to return soon!

Fantastic venue that I definitely need to visit a lot more and catch up with my Cambridge family. Staff are amazing, the atmosphere was spot on (great tune selection) cocktails were fantastic. Manager knows his stuff. Will definitely visit again soon. Would love to spin some nice cool and dangerous house music here. 👌
Chris C — Google review
Made a table reservation with my girlfriend and enjoyed some amazing cocktails. Very knowledgable and skilled staff. Would definitely recommend the ambiance and venue! Cocktails are strong! No watering down here.
Matt T — Google review
Had a lovely time cocktail making at the hidden rooms. We were greeted on arrival with a glass of prosecco which was a lovely touch. We chose Gin as our base and made an excellent variety of cocktails that suited both of our tastes. We learnt about the history of alcohol and how to best serve it with each cocktail too. Marcus and Julie are both fantastic hosts and I would highly recommend this experience.
Tara M — Google review
Depsite that there is too small place to dance, there is also nice climate. Also beverages and the other drinks have good quality. I recommend it for people who has few friends and want to spend nice time with them.

Marcus and his team are fantastic, hard working and so friendly. Lovely venue and a pleasure to work with when we supply our Photo Booths. Photo Booth Express

Always the best and welcoming experience. Would recommend anytime for a top end venue with the most delicious cocktails made with love.

I've been here many times for birthdays. On Friday I celebrated my 30th with my friends doing a Cocktail Masterclass. It was amazing! The hosts (lara/Laura and Alex) Where so kind, friendly and funny! They even put on the Pokemon Theme song for me (😂yes, im a big kid😂) I would definitely do this again! After we have a VIP table and danced the night away 💃

Got told if we paid entry which totalled to £30 that we would get free stuff on entry. Got in an hour past and nothing so asked a server about the free stuff and they said another half an hour so we waited another half an hour and still nothing so asked if we could get stamped so we could come in later or if we could get a refund as we didn’t get what we were promised and wanted to move on with our night and got told no and that they would remember our faces if we wanted to come back in a harsh tone. After being in Lola’s before and liked the experience this experience has put me off ever coming back and will be telling friends and will not be recomming to anyone.

Went to an Ibiza brunch the music was more like pop/chart apart from the occasional Ibiza tube in there. After speaking with the DJ he had never been to Ibiza and confessed to not knowing the style of music but he was playing off a playlist and this is what was on it. The bongo player and dance girls were a nod to Ibizan style. Tickets were reduced significantly in price on the day, so we lost out financially. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned from the night before toilets were very unclean, broken toilet roll holders or no toilet roll at all and actually in general the place looked very very worn, dirty and uncared for. Bar staff looked inconvenienced to be serving. Everyone danced once they became drunk but I personally prefer the true Ibiza event with the true Ibiza muaic. But that's just me.
Sarah-jayne H — Google review
11/08/2024(Saturday)on an advertised disco party, the Dj was playing anything else except disco songs(except of 4-5 disco songs). I spoke to assistant manager about that, but he was just a waste of time. This disco advertisement was misleading to the public and the club was also half empty. Seemed like they would do anything to get some customers. Terrible place, just avoid it.
Theodoros H — Google review
I cannot believe how terrible this nightclub was. The music was awful, the drinks were overpriced, and the atmosphere was just plain depressing. The staff & managers were rude and unhelpful, the whole place just felt dirty and run-down. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun night out. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Mohamed O — Google review
We visited Lola Lo for a cocktail making class as part of a hen party. We had a great time and learnt to make a few cocktails. The atmosphere was great. Staff were so friendly. The decor is perfect for selfies too as an added bonus ✨️

I would have to say that the service in this place is outstanding, 5 star. Firstly the greeting when I arrived last night on a busy Saturday night was a warm smile and a friendly face. She spoke about other nights including a Slay Thursday and pointed out the posters located there. Great cloakroom and good atmosphere for a Saturday night with a choice of 2 dance floors with different music. Bonus a roof terrace for a smoking area with heaters!! Great night out!
Tayla G — Google review
Such an amazing time and place, Lola’s was an absolute blast and the drink prices were so good! Alex C on promo was outstanding, advised us on the club and was so spot on, he even came back after and made sure we all had an amazing time. Even came back for a Slay Thursday which was exceptional and by far one of the best student nights in Cambridge… 5 shots for £10? Yes please. ❤️

Lovely place, great little find been telling everyone about it cant wait ti return. Food great staff amazing. Only issue wasps ! But hey that's nature for you
Jeanette K — Google review
Recent visit to Cambridge Corn Exchange this Restaurant and Cocktail bar was really close. It had a varied menu and was a great place to eat. The food was excellent. Short of staff, with long queue at the bar when I wanted to pay for the meal, was my only disappointment.
Alan L — Google review
Ordinary Menu Very limited menu. The food was average with reasonable prices. The burger was a bit too dry and lean, but at least it's using genuine blue cheese for it. The cheese was very intense. They kindly swapped my fries into salad, as I didn't want any fries for my steak. Good and flexible services. The environment was in full air conditioning. Unfortunately the toilets were clean, but there were bad and unpleasant smell. Probably need so air fresher? The environment and staff services are above average generally. I think the restaurant needs to have something signature/unique/exclusive in the menu, or customers would not remember you.
Pui L — Google review
I’ve visited Vodka Revolution in Cambridge many times and it’s consistently a great spot. They run 2-for-1 cocktails every day except Saturdays (you do have to order the same cocktail), and the drinks are always well-made and taste great. The rooftop bar is a lovely bonus in the sunshine. I’ve eaten here on several occasions too — portion sizes are generous and the food quality is reliable. I’ve also joined a few quiz nights, which are run by an outside company. The prizes are usually drink tabs or shots, which adds to the fun atmosphere. On one occasion a family with children disrupted the quiz around 9pm, but the manager handled it really well and even offered free drinks as an apology for the inconvenience. Toilets are clean enough for a busy bar. Overall, it’s family friendly during the day and transitions into a lively nightclub in the evenings. Always a good choice whether for food, drinks, or a night out.

We had such an amazing time at Tiger’s cocktail making class! The experience was so much fun from start to finish — Tiger was friendly, engaging, and made everyone feel involved. Novi Kitchen + Bar is a trendy multilevel venue that offers specialty coffee and craft cocktails in a stylish setting. While it's known for its impressive cocktail menu, Novi also boasts an extensive brunch selection featuring unique dishes like sautéed kale and creamy feta, and asparagus and broad bean fritters alongside classic favorites like full English breakfast and American breakfast with homemade waffles, smoky bacon, fried chicken, and maple syrup.
The food was excellent! I got the Turkish eggs with some streaky bacon and my girlfriend got the French toast. It’s a lovely decorated restaurant with plenty of seating. The staff was very friendly but they got the most brownie points when they brought our dog a bowl of water without us asking. We love dog friendly restaurants!

Pleasant brunch spot! Came here for brunch with a friend and it was a nice atmosphere. Turkish eggs were great, had enough of a spicy kick. And Darshana, our sever, was really attentive and constantly checked to see if we were ready to order and if the food was ok. Would recommend!

Not a great experience. Some nice wine and drinks that’s about it. Food was of poor quality and after getting home finding out we have been very ill since… Had the lamb tacos which didn’t seem fresh, the chicharrones which I think seemed a little old as I have experienced fresh ones before… and the ‘’ smoked salmon ceviche’’ which is funny as the chef can’t of understood the process of ceviche as their was no citrus at all. It was a smoked salmon tomato salad. Fries was the only safe dish. Will return for a drink maybe but certainly not for food.
A F — Google review
Decent price. Pretty good brunch. But took 30 mins to come and the shakshuka was overdone, but good portion sizes and still tasty. Waffles pretty good.
Liz T — Google review
Had another venue fall through and the manager fitted in 20 adults and 10 babies at short notice. Very grateful and we had a good time. Good non alcoholic cocktails comfortable seating and food that was being served was very good. Also pram accessible for ground floor.
Hannah C — Google review
We had a hen party here and it was amazing! They gave us the whole middle floor to ourselves where we had bottomless brunch and our cocktail making. The team were so helpful and lovely! Cocktails tastes amazing, Prosecco was flowing, the food was delicious too (a few dishes are spicier than shown on menu). Definitely recommend!
Cristina F — Google review
I hosted my 30th birthday here at an event space upstairs, and during the run up, the team were great with helping me organise and being super accommodating with decor. Everyone commented on how nice the venue was, and the canapés were fantastic! We returned the next morning for breakfast and the food was so yummy, we got the breakfast burrito and the carnitas Benedict. Could not recommend enough, and special thanks to the staff and their fantastic service!!

Pub
Restaurant
The Eagle, a historic pub in Cambridge, has been serving beer since 1667 and is known for its lively atmosphere. It's a popular spot with both indoor and outdoor seating, although the tables are close together inside. The beer garden is a lovely place to enjoy in the summer, despite not getting much sun. This iconic establishment holds historical significance as it was where RAF and American airmen left their mark on the ceiling and where Watson and Crick made their groundbreaking DNA discovery announcement.
Was shown around Cambridge by a friend who said this is a must do pub with an interesting history from WWII. As one of Cambridge’s most famous pubs it is incredibly busy and a booking will likely be required. The food was incredible. Ordered a steak and ale pie and fish and chips to share with my friend. The chips were crispy (a very important quality to me 😆) and the pie flavour had a subtle ale taste with a good thickness for the pastry. The fish for the fish and chips tasted fresh with a very nice tartare sauce which had a bit of texture to it. It’s a great place for small groups to get together and have a meal and a fun chat.
Fiona C — Google review
A wonderful and vibrant spot in Cambridge where you can truly feel the city’s historical and academic vibe in a bar setting! The atmosphere is lively, with lots of decorations that add character. There’s a wide range of drinks and a good food menu, including dishes like hash duck and fish & chips. The service is very friendly, and everything is served quickly. The overall vibe is fantastic, and there are plenty of tables to sit and enjoy. I definitely recommend this place and will return whenever I am back in Cambridge!
Mahsa S — Google review
The Eagle in Cambridge felt like stepping into history itself. The pub has such a warm, traditional charm, and knowing it’s where Watson and Crick first announced the discovery of DNA made it even more special. The wooden interiors, old beams, and RAF graffiti on the ceiling added so much character. I enjoyed the atmosphere more than anything – it’s the kind of place where you can just sit, have a drink, and soak up the stories around you.
AJay S — Google review
We love this pub! We make a point to eat here when we visit the area. Can’t beat the atmosphere, the food is yummy, and the service is good. The history makes it even that much more interesting.
Stacey P — Google review
The Eagle is such a fascinating pub, full of history and character. It’s not just a place to enjoy a good drink or meal, but also a landmark-this is where Watson and Crick announced the discovery of DNA, and you can still see the ceiling in the RAF bar covered with graffiti left by World War II airmen. The atmosphere is lively yet steeped in tradition, making it a must-visit when in Cambridge. The food and drinks are also great !
Olga L — Google review
We stopped here to enjoy some lunch in a historic location. The pub was dark and quiet, which we very much enjoyed. I ordered a steak and ale pie, which was my favorite meal during our visit to the UK.
Andrea B — Google review
No explanation is really needed—the Eagle is the most famous pub in Cambridge, with countless legendary stories attached to it. A wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, and a lively interior that’s always bustling with people. The fish and chips are excellent—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, simply superb. I always think I’ll order something else, but in the end, I always go back to this. With a wide variety of beers available, you’re sure to have a fantastic time here.
G H — Google review
Bustling pub with great vibes but the food really lets down the great service and atmosphere. The duck confit had incredibly dry burnt potatoes, the mint pea soup was chunky...the best thing was the triple cooked chips with mayo. Lovely prompt service otherwise!

Pint Shop is a trendy bar in Cambridge with an industrial-chic decor, featuring parquet floors and vintage brass taps. The bar specializes in craft beers, offering a variety of options from different breweries. In addition to its impressive beer selection, Pint Shop also serves delicious chargrilled meat dishes and offers a range of gin options. The restaurant section offers small plates such as fried squid with saffron aioli and charcoal-grilled flatbread kebabs.
Make booking is always a good idea. We did but walk ins are seen regularly. Arrived early for a beer 😁 It isn’t called the Pint shop for nothing. And there is a great choice a huge choice of beer. Went through to the restaurant area and it was very quiet. But it got a lot busier as time passed. Great friendly young lady served us 😁 Ordered scotch egg to start which was great. Mains were the schnitzel which was huge and very well cooked and I had ham egg and chips which was also very good. Bottle of wine which was not too expensive 😁 Huge place over three floors. Great bar area. Toilets clean 😁 Outside area too 😁 Highly recommended 😁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Modern Pub Working hard to write reviews for the Cambridge pubs therefore entered this restaurant. The restaurant is much bigger than I expected. The modern style attracts a lot of young customers. The portion sizes are quite small in terms of the prices. It's not the cheapest pub in the town centre. The food had slightly higher quality than Bath House, Eagle and Baron of Beef. But more expensive than them. But it looks very modern and clean, with big toilets. The service was good. As a reminder, this pub didn't provide chicken Sunday Roast on the day I visited. I suggest you check the menu in case you really want to have chicken Sunday Roast.
Pui L — Google review
Decent scotch egg. Sunday roast’s meat is alright but everything else on the plate is nice. The famous scotch egg did not disappoint— one of the best I’ve had. Mixed to a more chewy texture but not tough. Prominent sage and other herbs’ flavor. Slightly fatty so half per person is perfect :3 The sweet-tart apple sauce is very refreshing and delightful, though I sometimes forgot to dip in it because of the nicely seasoned egg itself. Roast beef seems overcooked. Only a hint of pinkness. Slightly tough but still tolerable. The beef flavor is good. Yorkshire pudding is fluffy and not greasy at all, though I hope it can be a little more eggy. Veggies are nice— especially the parsnip is cooked to perfect. The gravy is subtle and not overpowering. Fried calamari and prawn is not too heavy and the chili mayo is also lovely even fr a non-mayo person. I don’t drink but really appreciate the beer board with all the information :> The staff is friendly and the place is more spacious than I imagined. I really appreciate the young lady for adjusting our bill to the Sunday 2-course.

Worst Sunday Roast Ever!!!!! Worst Sunday roast I've ever had. I don't normally put reviews, but honesty, this place doesn't deserve one start. My boyfriend and I ordered the Sunday roast (pork belly and beef). Both our plates were drowned in a greasy, overly salted gravy. Burnt potatoes and overcooked pork belly. The service was not better than the food. Having the waitress leaving the card reader machine to insert our cards on the table and telling us to do it ourselves. I have never seen this before!! I'm not sure whether we look to touristy for the place or if the service is always like this. I have ended up with food poison in the station on our way back to London. I'm glad there were open public toilets opened Make yourself a favour and avoid this place.
Pamela S — Google review
The Sunday Roast I had was smaller than expected. It was a bit on the salty side, and I didn’t particularly enjoy the sauce. Others at the table had the halloumi fries and said they tasted quite good. Our waiter was very friendly, but we had to wait quite a while for our food, especially the desserts, which we ordered after the mains. The toilet is located on the top floor, which could be an accessibility issue for some visitors.
Janet C — Google review
Lovely modern decor, friendly staff, impressive selection of ales and lagers. The hummus with chilli oil and crispy chickpeas with flatbread was incredible and the fried prawns and calamari were a very generous portion.
Jasmine O — Google review
Fantastic city center pub! The chef was incredibly kind and went out of their way to adjust my meal to suit my preferences, which is rare these days. The food was delicious, and the beer selection was excellent. Our server, a lovely New Zealander, was amazing—so attentive, with a fun and vibrant energy that made our experience even better. She was incredibly helpful, and honestly, she deserves a raise! I highly recommend The Pint Shop—definitely worth a visit!"

In addition to this venue, the city offers a rich cultural scene with options such as dance shows, plays, and live music at historic locations like the Cambridge Corn Exchange and the Arts Theatre. The ADC Theatre affiliated with the University hosts the famous Cambridge University Footlights Drama Club which has been instrumental in launching numerous acting careers.
Park at the multi story car park next door. It's a fabulous live music palace. We went to see the Fatback Band last week - superb! Lots of places to eat in the immediate vicinity too 😃

J2: Friendly staff from the doorman to the bar. This section although smaller has great sound for bands such as Brass Funkies. There are spots to sit down or dance in the middle of the room. The welcome desk also offers ear plugs just in case it is too loud for you. Local beers, there is no draft, and juices.

We've been to The Junction 3 or 4 times now and every time the staff were, without fail, friendly and helpful and last night in particular when my fiancée almost fainted and ended up on the floor by the bar. The staff were very quick to notice and no less then two staff came to help, one with a drink just in case and the other with a wheelchair. Thank you to the team for being so attentive switched on and helping her into the wheely. As a general review I can say the place is well layed out with the bar off-set from the stage area though within view of it and somtimes this can lead to sound from the bar bleeding into the audience area if you're standing to the right of the stage. But thats normal with most gigs I've been to. The toilets on all visits have always been clean and tidy. There is a well organised cloakroom and if you park in the multi-story car park next door, you need to collect a discount code from the staff when you leave. They hand these out at the door. Plenty of food places outside the building and an arcades centre with Ten Pin bowling. Thank you again for a well supported evening

Great venue, but oddly placed toilets when they shut one set and you have to walk through 5 rooms and hundreds of people to take a waz!

Visited 01/06/24: ♿️ I visit a lot of theatres and this was a lovely place. The staff were really friendly and as a disabled customer I felt taken care of. We were shown where the toilets were and later taken to additional easier to access toilets- which had a hoist and full changing set up for non ambulant customers which is so rare to see! This is an intimate venue but doesn’t feel overwhelming or crowded. I like the industrial feel of the theatre and bar area. The prices are really good for a theatre- having paid anywhere from £6-10 a pint their prices were dare I say cheap! Although I went to an unreserved showing they reserved seats for me where I could get my wheelchair in which had a great position to see the stage. I parked in the multi-storey car park nearby but hadn’t realised they have spaces literally right outside the venue too. Fully accessible entrance with automatic buttons. Would definitely come back to this theatre.

Great place, my band performed here all the staff are really nice helped out with the kit and setup the atmosphere and size is amazing and the drinks are great. Tickets are really well priced as well. So go and support a friend or local band! Un night out with your friends Back stage was fab too, very secure chilled out space and the bands signed and stickers was amazing too see 🙈 Would recommend

We went to see Braimah Kenneh-Mason, Plinio Fernandes and Hydewich van Gent via Through the Noise. This part of the Junction is a great little venue. Acoustics were amazingly good and we managed to get a seat near the stage. Would definitely go again. It really was a fabulous evening, young people doing what they do best - showing off their passions.

MASH is a nightclub in the heart of Cambridge that features some amazing cocktails and sharers. The staff are attentive and will ensure that you have a great time, until you wake up with a hangover the next morning!
I've been visiting MASH regularly for 3 years, I can positively say I've always had a good experience. Quick service from bartenders, kind and receptive VIP staff and great security. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the city looking for a good night out!

It's been hours since American Boy last came on. The only thing deadder than your blood alcohol are the wetwipes pushing through your entire friend group to drop stiffer game than Beavo on a tiktok live. When the lights come on and you see your sweaty reflection for the first time in a puddle of vodka lemon, who is it that stares back? Pretty decent club.

Women out the front of club decide to start on me and my mates as we had previously paid and were promised instant re entry. She squared up to my mate and caused a scene. I’ve been a few time s and it’s been terrible. Won’t go again. And I strongly do not recommend.

Mash in Cambridge offers a pleasant experience with its youthful and student-friendly atmosphere. The affordable prices make it an accessible choice for those on a budget. The club provides a decent night out with good music and a laid-back vibe. It's a nice option for a casual weekend in Cambridge

The drinks are very expensive, wish they had a proper smoking area as well as it's just on the street and you can't take your drinks outside with you, don't like leaving them unattended. Besides that it's a good place to go, music is alright, people are always friendly.

Pathetic. 48 years old and at 2am the 'bouncer' on the door won't accept a photo ID to get into their silly teeny bopper club. They were rude and totally inconsistent as two days before ID wasn't being checked. Complete waste of time. There are better places to go in Cambridge.

Cambridge Brew House is a vibrant pub with an eclectic decor and its own micro-brewery. Visitors can observe brewer Mark Burton at work on the small brew kit, producing six cask ales including three house beers. The Misty River ale offers a dry, hoppy flavor that's incredibly fresh. In addition to the house brews, there's a selection of keg beers featuring unique and crafty options from around the world.
Great location! We visited in October 2024 and Izzie was our server. She was very welcoming, kind and helpful with our order as we are both plant based. Would totally recommend this place for the food, service and drinks! The setting was awesome too :)

Nice Pub I am doing a Cambridge pub marathon recently. Rating will be adjusted throughout the visits of different pubs. Pubs of the Cambridge town centre were surprisingly competitive in price and quality. You know, the rent of the town centre must be the most expensive. This pub too, the food tasted good. Maybe everything was relatively expensive than other pubs in town centre, but we found that it has more meat in the Sunday roast. The burger meat was thicker than other pubs too, but it's on the leaner side. The burger was not hot enough. Despite the Sunday roast being just rump steak, it tasted like sirloin to me. Very high quality beef for sure. The vegetables, potatoes and chips tasted good and cooked well. Beautiful presentation. It's a pub for you if you are willing to afford a slightly higher price for pub grub.

Excellent plant based burger! Served fast and hot! Good to be able to see the chef prepping . Friendly welcome from the duty manager . ( Ness?)

Our first meal after a very long flight & we were met with friendly staff & a jovial atmosphere as locals watched a game on the tv. We had an excellent scotch egg for starters & roast beef for mains (sunday roast). What we were most impressed with were the variety & quantity of vege. They were delicious. The yorkshire pud was huge, light & crisp, but the gravy...omg...was out of this world. Apparently they use one of their own beers as an ingredient. If there eere Oscars given for best gravy...this one would be a serious contender. We were so glad we'd booked somewhere with a decent chef. We thoroughly enjoyed both food & wine.
Joy H — Google review
Awful beer. First pint of keg ale tasted like vinegar. Undrinkabke. Staff were good in changing it to ale which wasn't great but at least drinkable. Still had a whiff of vinegar about it. The half pint of hazy session ale my gf got was also pretty bad. Very dissapointed after picking this place out beforehand as somewhere to visit. Some of the worst small brewery beer I've had.
Chris B — Google review
Pretty mediocre boozer. Reasonable beer, but pretty dopey staff on a quiet September Tuesday who'd not heard of wheat beer, even though they brew it on site. Not a lot of choice for proper ale in central Cambridge, so what can you do? 🤷🏻‍♂️

With its quirky decor featuring film reels woven into the carpets, this former cinema offers an inviting atmosphere. Known for being one of the most budget-friendly pubs in town, The Regal serves pints starting at just £1, making it an ideal choice for those looking to enjoy a drink without breaking the bank.
Absolutely amazing place, breakfast menu is awesome and full of options and customizations. Ordering is done trough QR code where you are redirected to website and choose everything you would like. Free refills on tea/coffe/hot chocolate are so good - awesome taste Food, where to begin, it's awesome, every bite is heaven especially their bacon. And the prices? For the amount of delicious food their super cheap. Definitely recommend to visit here.

Budget Pub Big menu. The prices are amazing, only £26 and we got 2 meals! I know the food is not the best. But thinking of the prices, you will take everything easy. I thought the portions would be very small because of the prices, but it's not. The portions were enough for everyone. Everything tasted alright. Except the sirloin was a bit chewy. The steak sauce was cold. The service was efficient. It was busy but the food delivered quickly. No service charges as you need to order at the bar. While other luxury restaurants, cafes and bakeries. They charged so much that your expectations are going to be much higher. Much harder to get the best ratings. The pub was much bigger than I expected. But the tables and seats were clean. There are plenty of toilets and each unit is big. Not everyone can afford eating in luxury restaurants/cafe, at least the majority can afford to eat in the Regal. As it's almost 2 times cheaper than other restaurants.

Such a great place for a quick bite! You order either at the bar or through your phone and the food is just great. I had the jacket potato and as a baked potato lover - it was perfect! Drinks are cheap and service is so fast. Everyone was always checking in to ensure I enjoyed myself as well.

Saw mixed reviews about the service but had a great experience! Staff were kind and patient—even though I speak English slowly, they were very helpful. As a tourist, I had a really good experience. It was quite busy, but in a pleasant way. The staff were very friendly. The ordering system was a bit unfamiliar at first, but easy to figure out. The food was good – didn’t look like much at first, but the burger turned out to be really tasty. What I liked most was seeing young and old sitting side by side, enjoying themselves. I’d be happy to come back if I’m ever in Cambridge again.

In the evening, it turns into a lively bar known for its award-winning cocktails and hosts live bands and DJs.
Went there for some drinks and live music last night. Had to go back for lunch. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Loved the ambiance. All four drinks ordered were unique and spot on. They also a very generous amount of delicious tapas at good prices. Definitely will come back soon.

La Raza Restaurant is an absolute gem! The food is a delightful explosion of flavors – each dish is expertly crafted with the freshest ingredients, offering an authentic taste of Mexican/Latin cuisine. The seasoning is perfectly balanced, and every bite transports you to a whole new level of culinary bliss. The tacos are a must-try, and the signature dish is simply unforgettable! The ambiance is equally impressive. The vibrant decor, combined with warm lighting and inviting music, creates an atmosphere that's both lively and relaxing. It's the perfect setting for a casual meal or a special night out. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel right at home.

202405 Interesting tapas, though probably not worth a second visit for meal— Probably works better as for cocktail and light bites as the menu is quite limited for a tapas place and lacks a dish that stands out. Interesting fusion salad. The Moroccan spiced beetroot brings North Africa to Eastern Europe, but the flavors seem more contradictory than intended. I was adventurous to have the white bean and avocado and apple and manchego cheese— not bad to be honest and h like the crispy apple bits and nutty cheese, but it’s really two salads combined :3 The Mediterranean grilled veg with pine nuts is the safe bet as always. The mushroom croquette is alright. Warm and crispy with a gooey center, though I would prefer a little texture to the current mushroom flavored paste. Chicken thighs are alright, nothing special. Bread is alright and a little too simple (little white baguette sliced). The dipping is nicely herbed but the oil layer is too thick. Padron pepper is a little too soggy and not crispy enough. I enjoyed the sliced Cecina air dried smoked beef most. Service is friendly and food isn’t too slow.

We had lunch here yesterday. Fabulous! We had crispy whitebait, squid, spicy sausages, padron peppers, spinach and goats cheese croquettes, skin on fries. 2 Aperol spritzer, and a jug of the white sangria. Could not fault anything Service was excellent and friendly Very reasonably priced for everything that we had. Recommend!

The ambience is surreal and beautiful. The bar looks amazing. The menu is a bit confusing as it wasn't clear which was the mains, we were surprised thinking it was really cheap. But we didn't realize that it wasn't the mains (it was neither sides nor platter). The menu could be more informative. Although the portion was small, the food tasted amazing. The waitress was nice and friendly. We had marinated beef skewers with spicy sofrito dipping sauce, chicken strips with lemon, thyme and moscatel sauce and olive oil crackers with manchego cheese.

We had our lazy afternoon there. We ate in their outside table. The food was great! There wasn't much traffic, but we waited for around 20 minutes before ordering. However, there was no tax, nor tips in the bill. No complaint!!!

Cocktail bar that serves a (limited) selection of tapas. The tapas that I had were good, and the portions are quite sizable. (Helpfully, it also says so on the menu.) As far as food goes, a solid, but not outstanding experience. The selection of beers is very limited. This is a cocktail bar, after all. Very friendly and attentive service. Pet peeve: the bill includes the dreadful 'service charge'. Maybe I am terribly old-fashioned, but I don't like this.

Loved the vegan pop up here! The vegan milkshake was AMAZING and so were the onion rings. The vegan burgers were very fairly priced. There is definitely more of a bar vibe to Ta Bouche than a restaurant vibe, so I’d recommend coming here for a quick lunch or date night!

2018 Review: A place I often visit when I'm back in Cambridge which is a testament to the venue consistency and professional attitude. Service is quick and polite, prices are reasonable, menu stays fresh and food is delicious. It's off the main drag so doesn't get too busy during the day. 2025 update: it all still stands true but the bathroom areas are just awful later in the evening, consistently. The smell sometimes even makes its way up to the street.

Surprisingly Good Trying to review different restaurants therefore entered this restaurant. The menu was quite limited, but nothing wrong to focus on things that you are good at. The food portions were very generous. I was impressed that the side had a variety of stuff inside. The side made the food more colourful and interesting. Not just some boring iceberg lettuce as a side salad like Honest Burgers does. The main was generous in portions too. The flatbread was heavily loaded with trunks of juicy meat. It was a nice restaurant with a reasonable price. With good service and good environment.

We randomly popped in as it was in the way from the station to the centre and i was wanting a nice breakfast. I was looking at breakfast places the previous day and they were either greasy or missing items I like. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw an English breakfast on this menu. I booked a table for lunch and there was abolutely no problem, although I think it was also possible to get it in the moment. The food was good, specially the pochetta, it was definitely the best of all. Great meat flavour. The Mill is a charming riverside pub located in Cambridge, set in a renovated 19th-century mill overlooking Laundress Green and the River Cam. It's known for its wide selection of well-kept real ales, craft beers, and hearty food. The menu features freshly-cooked dishes made from high-quality ingredients, offering classic pub fare with a unique twist.
The Mill is one of those rare pubs that makes you feel like both a local and a guest at the same time. Perfectly placed on the river with beautiful views, it has a charm that never feels forced. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, whether you’re popping in for a quick pint or settling in for a longer stay with friends. What really stands out is the staff—genuine, attentive, and clearly proud of the place. The food and drink options strike a great balance: classic pub fare done right, plus thoughtful touches that make the menu feel fresh. And of course, the setting speaks for itself. Sitting outside by the water on a sunny afternoon, you’re reminded why Cambridge has such a special pull. I’ve visited many pubs, but The Mill is one I always look forward to returning to. It’s not just a pub; it feels like part of the Cambridge experience. Highly recommended.

Good solid pub in a great location. The mango cider was a killer!! Also the chips are great. Only reason I held off a star was due to the table being extra sticky and finding an empty wrapper left on the seat that was not cleaned.

Such a beautiful space to spend a cozy autumn afternoon in. My 4 friends and I ordered some of the items off their menu to share as we all couldn’t decide on one from the delicious selection. The food was AMAZING! The Mill in Cambridge is one of those rare gems where everything just clicks—the riverside location, the cozy charm, the great food, and most of all, the people. Every time I visit, I’m struck by how genuinely welcoming the staff are, especially Grace, who always goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. Whether it’s recommending a pint, finding you the perfect table, or just sharing a warm smile, she brings an energy that really sets the tone for the whole place. Sitting by the River Cam with a drink, watching the punts go by, and hearing vinyl softly spinning in the background—it’s everything you want in a pub. Add in consistently delicious food (with solid veggie options) and that friendly, familiar service, and it’s no wonder The Mill is my favourite spot in Cambridge.

Lovely theatre in the centre of Cambridge. A varied and largely youth oriented programme that supports local theatre groups. Seats are a little dated nowadays but legroom is generous.

I really enjoyed my visit to see The Dad's Army Radio show and there are plenty of interesting shows to go and see. This is a medium sized theatre with a community feel. There is enough leg room for most people in the auditorium. They now seem to be allowing most bags inside, however this is not reflected on tickets and marketing, so the situation is rather confusing. Also be prepared to stand whilst waiting for the auditorium to open as there is limited seating in the vestibule area.

The content of this review has been removed, not sure why. I left this review after the Matthew Kelly and Julian Clary play, which was amazing, even without Matthew Kelly not appearing! I think it might have been professional on your part to have emailed the audiences that were affected in advance that a key actor would not be appearing to save a lot of disappointment. I particularly booked this to see Matthew Kelly. Also, more seating is needed in public areas. I have since visited to see Murder on the Orient Express which was very good.

Home Italian menu in a little pub. I’ve been here before I didn’t know that hidden gem. The gnocchi is gigantic and so lovely, perfectly chewy and filled with soft sausage. Wow didn’t expect that. The deep red tomato sauce has a hint of sourness and lightens the flavors. Rigatoni is also amazing. Again You are larger than normal shape— wonderful for me who loves large thick pasta. Al dente and bouncy. The Ragu comes in generous portion and melts in mouth. Classic but by no means boring. My friend said the sauces are on the salty side. For me they haven’t exceed normal restaurant level and still within the pleasant range, though I would concur it’s healthier to lower sodium input and maybe leave the option of table salt. Hope there are some veggie/salad for sides it’s alright. Thanks for the satisfying meal. We’ll come back for some more unique pasta ^^ The staff are friendly. The Latin American music gives a very different tropical vibe.

Pesto Pasta It's the best pesto pasta I have eaten. You know, dishes with simple ingredients are tricky. It's easy to make but hard to impress. The cheese, cashew and pine nut enhanced the flavour of the pesto pasta. Too bad the portion was a bit too small. What an impressive pesto dish. The lasagne was okay. At least it's not just lasagne sheets with tomato sauce. It had some balance of meat mince, cheese, lasagne sheets and tomato sauce. Not sure if the potato chips were that necessary, though they tasted quite good. This restaurant is massive. Massive place with clean toilets. Quite a surprise that such a big place has such a limited menu. As a reminder, it's a pub but no British classics available. If you are looking for a Sunday Roast or fish & chips, it's not a place for you. To me it's totally acceptable to be a pub without British classics. The other way around, doing something different than the rest helps people to remember the place. Hope that there are more options available in the menu!

Popped in for a few drinks and was pleasantly surprised! Well lit spacious outside seating/ smoking area with outside “off licence” bar. Lots of drink selection and amazing friendly staff, free wifi and super clean toilets too.. what more could you ask for?

Brilliant pub, great selection of drinks especially beers. The food however wasn't as good. The menu looked promising but what was provided was quite basic. Great for going for a drink and a snack but wouldn't treat it as a meal out.

This is our local and we love it. My only wish is that they sold a chardonnay, but fair enough they do specialise in beers not wines. Lovely staff too.

Granta is a popular pub in Cambridge known for its picturesque riverside location with a heated terrace overlooking the Cam and its own punting setup. The pub offers home-cooked meals and is part of a group of pubs in the area. It's just a short walk from Kings Parade, making it an ideal spot to relax with your dog while enjoying traditional British pub food. The terrace is heated during winter, allowing visitors to enjoy the stunning views year-round.
Gorgeous views and plenty of space on the terrace. The steak and ale pie was lovely, as was the sunday roast, we had a great lunch.

Good spot for a nice view. It was busy on a sunny Saturday afternoon, but we managed to find one free table. It was a long wait for the drinks and food, the wait likely triggered by the pub crowding. Food was nice, ordered nachos and chicken sharer plate. Nachos were really nice. Prices reasonable.
Olesia L — Google review
To be fair we had a LOT of people there that day, but they really weren't prepared, food took. hour plus and my Kiev was overcooked to the point it was hard to cut. Place looks nice though and plenty of space. They also serve a few different ales, Greene king and neck oil ones.
Garreth T — Google review
The Granta is one of those pubs that feels like it’s been waiting for you your whole life — tucked just off the bustle of Cambridge, perched over the river like it’s posing for a postcard. It’s cosy, with that “old jumper and warm pint” kind of charm, and the setting is ridiculously pretty with the gentle hum of punting life drifting by. A proper little riverside escape.

Slowest service even on a quiet day. Spilt drinks all over me and just pretended nothing had happened. The halloumi was decent and so was the view but otherwise avoid the calamari as it was rubbery and cold

We went there on a warm evening and there were swans milling about. Gorgeous view over lake and it was like nothing we'd ever seen before. Nice selection of beer nice selection of drinks. Nice selection of swans

The food is disappointing, we order the mussels with white wine and cream as starter, the sauce was split, you see piece of solid cream inside a watering broth. We tried the Sunday Roast, and the beef was overcooked, I informed the waiter after we finished the meal, and his response was I will tell to the Chef, and ...? No empathy or a sign of recovery services. Atmosphere is nice, peraphs go for a drink, but don't order food.

Came here for Sabotage over the weekend. The night was brilliant and the security were on point. However, the one thing that I still haven't forgotten about since is the rudeness of the coat staff. I was absolutely and apaulled and disgusted by her behaviour through out the night. Considering she is a main face of the club upon entering, you would think she would like to introduce you to a good and happy atmosphere from the minute you walk in. Unfortunately, this was not the case. She was rude and lazy and extremely ignorant and it left both me and a number of people in shock. Besides her, the rest of the staff were brilliant.

I have been to ballare on a Friday and a Saturday, two days which should be the busiest. The club never picks up. We paid £8 for entry which is excessive considering the club had literally no one in there. Music is okay if you like afrobeats/r&b but they didn't play any new songs.

6£ door price for most nights. Avoid the bartender guy with the long hair/ponytail. Fairly certain he was on heavy drugs. Dropped drinks, forgot what he was doing, then refused to take my order after I waited for 15 minutes.

Trash club, no decent music, went there for new years and the countdown to the new year was awful. Music was out of beat, DJ was poor, did. Ot hype the crowd at all. Worst club I’ve ever been to, drinks were too expensive for how big they was. Overall, awful experience do not recommend at all

The only thing wrong with this establishment is their choice of security staff. Upon barging into my friend for no reason, not only did staff react with pure violence, they also denied all knowledge of having done so after. This is the kind of nightclub you want to go to if you want to have a terrible night out or get your head kicked in for nor reason.

The same music of other pubs, £6 only the entrance, the same music as other pubs as regal and expensive drink, they did a friend of mine go to change his trouser and when i enter they doubt about if i can enter with levi's shoes. You don't have to pay in this pub really bad.

£8 to get in absolute rip off, the young girl behind the bar was rushing us to pick a cocktail. The place was dead, the music was good the only good thing about this place. The toilets were disgusting, not all the toilet doors locked and to it off there was used sanitary towels on the floor. Overall we left after half hr. Will not be returning.

Can not more highly recommend that this place be avoided. Went there on a stag do, with the stag wearing a pink tutu ( fully dressed underneath so no skin showing) . We were let in by bouncer outside, and the person taking the door cover, but as soon as we had finished buying our drinks were thrown out for inappropriate dress. We offered to remove the offending piece of clothing but told we had to leave and would not get our entry fee back. The bouncer were rude and all but one of the staff were unfriendly or uninterested in talking drink orders. You don't expect much at a nightclub but a least a minuscule of service. And no we were not Drunk at the time either
Craig ( — Google review
Pure shite! Club was shut down after 30 minutes of being there and no refund? Drinks are expensive, and the guys who are serving them are rude and disrespectful. Had to speak to a manager about a barman not putting vodka in people’s vodka mixers. Wouldn’t recommend unless you want to dance to bad music with an occupancy of 15 other people in the entire club
Tyler G — Google review
Everything that glitters, isn't gold and Fez is the perfect example. The entry fee was excessive but was alright, because the layout of the club is decent. The positives end there. The bartender service is slow and rude. One particular bartender who served me, was disrespectful, impudent and RACIST. The bouncers believe anything told to them, while pretending they'll address your concerns. This place was a horrible nightmare of an experience and a waste of my hard earned money. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Don't waste your time and money here, because if you go, that's all it will be.
Kaylon C — Google review
Really rude bar staff. Waited 40 minutes to get served only to be greeted by a rude man serving who wouldn’t serve us for any other reason other than he decided not to - equally, prioritised men that came to the bar. He was also rude, aggressive, and when we asked for a reason why he wouldn’t serve us he threatened to throw a glass of ice over us. Terribly run club, will not return and if you’re a gay woman expect to be treated like a minority.
Kayleigh C — Google review
I come to Cambridge often because I have friends in here. We went to many places like Kuda or Baroosh and never had issues, but this time was ONE BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. Drinks OVERLY expensive for no reason (different barmen charge you different prices for same drinks choice; cocktails are nothing special and some staff seem lost behind the bar) At 2:58 we were charged for last round of drinks and no one in bar bothered to let us know the place is closing. Exactly at 3am the bar manager (he seemed that way) and one VERY VERY ROOD POOR ON MANNERS SECURITY literally started to kick us out, treating like we are nothing, ZERO customer service, I mean it was sad to see how terrible nightlife in Cambridge could be... This wouldnt happen anywhere as there is always extra time to finish drinks or bar staff is letting you know when bar is about to close. Don't serve drinks if you're shutting and want everyone out by 3:01. I ASK YOU ALL NOT TO VISIT FEZ, this is worthless, however music on Friday night wasn't too bad.
V D — Google review
Went to the bar and ordered a drink, received change for a ten and pointed out I'd given him a twenty. Barman denied this and brought his manager over who told me that they have cameras overlooking all the bars (presumably to discourage me). I took my wallet out and showed him that I only had £20 notes as I had just been to the cash machine and asked him to check the cameras. He went away and came back after a few minutes to tell me the cameras were inconclusive and I would have to wait until morning. Absolute joke so we all left and went to lola los instead. When I woke up in the morning, my friends and I were discussing it and my friend told me that he also thought he had been short changed, queried it with the barman at the time but since he wasn't 100% certain he didn't push it.
Darren B — Google review
Found the music great although I found that I was bein ripped off by the bartender. I gave him ten pounds for a drink. He gave me the change and I walked over to my friends table. I put the money on the table next to my drink, my friends asked me if I got a triple, I replied no just a singles and when I looked at the change they had charged me around £6.50 for a drink. He obviously have me all the 20ps and 50ps to make it feel like I had more. I went back over to the bar and asked for the correct change. He ignored me the first time and kept putting his hand up to say that he is busy, I ended up waiting for over ten minutes, we left after that drink as I'm not going to be ripped off. Keep the money if you really need it but you won't be getting anymore from me.

Steak house
Bar & grill
Located in a former quayside warehouse near Magdalene College, The Riverbar Steakhouse and Grill offers a chic and laid-back dining experience with exposed brick walls. Overlooking the River Cam, this restaurant serves 28-day aged steak, fresh fish, and vegetarian dishes. Part of the Varsity Hotel, it provides a fancy steak selection at higher prices but ensures perfectly cooked steaks.
I booked this place for my husband's birthday. Upon arrival we recieved a warm welcome. The service was excellent through out. The staff member helped me pick my wine, also he helped selecting our dishes. We had garlic butter tiger prawns as starter which was really good. For the mains my husband liked the perfectly cooked steak as he wanted but there were not many choices of sauce. I had roasted cod which was good but the veggies were bit too salted due to the soya sauce. My son chose from kids menu, he liked his chicken dish. Birthday dessert was vanilla cheesecake, this was superb! Brownie was also good. The place also offers great canal side view and good ambience inside!

Very nice place. You can dine with a beautiful view of the River Cam. The cocktails are excellent and served quickly. The menu offers a variety of meat and fish dishes. The meat, in particular, is excellent and well-cooked. The desserts are delicious. Great for business lunches or dinners too.

I had eaten at River Bar Steakhouse & Grill before and had loved it, which is why I went back during this visit to Cambridge. The atmosphere and service, as well as the sides (mashed potatoes, French beans) were all fine, just like the previous time. But what let us down this time was the meat. I ordered the lamb chops, but they turned out to be a tough job, in the literal sense of the word: Because of the many tendons, it was hard work cutting the meat, as well as chewing it, so I wished I had made a different choice. That said, my companion ordered the fillet steak (medium), and while the first half was according to his expectations, towards the end he complained to me that it was more medium-rare, which was not to his liking. Based on my previous experience and the fact that aside from the meat, everything was satisfactory, I would have liked to give this review a higher rating, but given the importance of the meat as the centre piece of our meal, it wouldn't really be a true reflection of our experience.

We had an excellent meal last night at The River Bar. We have been a few times over the years & my husband & i wanted to have a pre-Christmas treat with our son. The food was delicious, steaks cooked superbly. Delicious glittery chocolate mousse was one of our desserts. Our waiter was very attentive & nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed our complementary glasses of Prosecco too for parking in the recently refurbished Park Street car park. What a lovely evening to always remember. May be a new Christmas tradition!!

Amazing shortcrust steak and London pride Pie with mature cheddar and chive mash! Just out of this world delicious! The service was top notch and just had a really lovely meal. Highly recommend to anyone who's had a lovely day out in Cambridge, just along the River Cam where you can go punting.

Only 4 stars for food as medium steak was more on the well done side, but still very tasty and wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend 😊

We had the best place in the location. Near the window, we could see the punters passing by the water, the cocktails were so lovely, and the food was tasty. I took the English pie, a generous portion and for a reasonable price. Try the sticky toffee pudding, it is mindblowing. The service was excellent, and I highly recommend visit this restaurant.

The Mussels in Moules Marinières smells terribly stinky. The steak, lamb chop and wedges were all overcooked, the mushrooms were so overcooked that it looks like a moiesty piece of coal. It’s absolutely not appropriate for a diner of that price. The only highlight of the dining experience was waitress Gabby.

Cocktail bar
Parker's Tavern, established in 1834, is a luxurious dining venue located within Cambridge University Arms. The restaurant offers a fine selection of British classics and an exquisite afternoon tea experience. Chef Tristan Welch's menu is inspired by the city of Cambridge, with each dish telling a unique story. The afternoon tea options include freshly made finger sandwiches, homemade scones, crayfish boats, truffle and mushroom sausage rolls, and an array of sweet treats.
I recently visited Parker’s Tavern, located within the stunning University Arms Hotel in Cambridge, and had a fantastic experience. Although I didn’t stay overnight, I spent a relaxing evening at the bar, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by warm, attentive staff who made the entire visit feel special. The service was impeccable—friendly yet professional—and made us feel completely at ease. We ordered a few drinks and some small plates to share, and everything was top-notch. The cocktail menu was creative and well-curated, and the drinks were expertly made. The food was equally impressive—high-quality, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The ambience at Parker’s Tavern is what truly sets it apart. The interior strikes the perfect balance between elegance and comfort, making it ideal whether you’re there for a casual drink or a more special outing. It’s right in the city center, just beside Parker’s Piece, so it’s easily accessible whether you’re a local or visiting Cambridge. It’s a great spot to chill with friends, enjoy a date night, or even bring your family for a relaxed yet refined outing. I didn’t book a stay this time, but after this visit, it’s definitely on my list for next time. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for quality food, drinks, and a memorable atmosphere in the heart of Cambridge.

Parker’s Tavern is traditional, polished, but not pretentious. it's inside the University Arms Hotel, it feels like stepping into a modern twist on a grand old dining hall. The menu celebrates British classics done properly (yes, the roast is worth the hype), and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for a five-star setting.

Fabulous lunch at the Parker’s Tavern. The venue is a tasteful mix of old and new and has a great atmosphere. Food was excellent and reasonably priced - loved the cheese straws, burger and the cheesecake. Carlos and his team were knowledgeable, discrete and provided an impeccable service. My new favourite place in Cambridge - can’t wait to return for the Friday night jazz!!!

We had after tea and had a fantastic time. The food and service were excellent the atmosphere as well. What did disapoint us was a heavy charge for a bottle of water. We were asked if we wanted water and we said yes. We thought this might be included in our afternoon tea package. As we went to leave we were asked to pay, we thought, what for? Anyway we had to pay £8 for this which we thought was high. The waiter should have mentioned this and gave us the option for tap water or bottled water. Anyway we still had a great time but this left a sour note.

Breakfast at Parker’s Tavern was a true pleasure during our stay at the University Arms, setting the tone for calm and beautifully paced mornings. The space feels elegant yet inviting, with refined details that make it easy to settle in and unwind. We tried the poached eggs on avocado toast and the full English—both expertly prepared, full of flavour, and presented with care. The coffee was smooth and perfectly balanced, a lovely complement to the relaxed atmosphere. Mariana looked after us both mornings with such warmth and grace, attentive in a way that felt sincere and effortless. Her kindness made the experience feel especially personal and memorable.

Dining Club Meal Friday 25 April 2025 The Father and Daughter hosted this Dining Club Meal, as they had eaten here before, and my sister and myself came here for the first time, we knew where the venue was. When we arrived, (we were late, and it was my fault) we saw our hosts already seated, and waiting for the guests to arrive, we looked at the Drinks Menu, and ordered our drinks, three ginger beers, for the Father, my sister and myself, and a Diet Coke for the Daughter, and afterwards we ordered our Starters. My sister, myself, and the Daughter had buttermilk Crispy Squid with confit garlic and lemon mayo, and the Father had Mint and Pea Soup. For the Mains my sister, myself, and the Daughter had lemon sole with new potatoes, seasonal greens, and caviar lemon butter sauce, and the Father had roasted lamb rump, with pea puree, dauphinoise potatoes, spring greens, leeks and peas, with more drinks, three bottles of ginger beer, for myself and the Father, and two glasses of Alcohol free Guiness for my sister and the Daughter. For the Dessert, I had two scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream, and my sister, and the Daughter had Apple and Rhubarb Crumble in a Yorkshire Pudding with ginger ice cream, and the Father had Passion fruit Tart, with mango gel and prosecco sorbet. Both the food and the service were very good, I have to mention the waitress Eleonora from Argentina, and the waiter Alec, and we would come back here again, recommended.

Top lunch at the Millworks. Lovely spot overlooking the river. Recommend the lunch set menu, in particular the fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding. We managed to obtain 3 tables overlooking the water which added to the experience. Inside you can see the original mill which adds the experience. There is a service charge automatically added to the bill. Service is super quick and you couldn’t want for more.

One of the best restaurants and meals we have had in a long time. We are on tour of the British Isles. Our hotel was across the canal from the Millworks and an easy 7 minute walk. Most full service restaurants in Cambridge require a reservation. We could not get in last night (Saturday) but we made an on-line 6PM for tonight. It is very easy to do so on line both from your cell phone and from a computer. We were greeted with friendliness and appreciation and seated right away. Our server, Ellie from Buenos Aires, was a real joy. Wife and I are now close to 80 and we do not eat as much as younger folks so we asked if we could split the Roast Beef menu option with a glass of wine for each, Ellie was a real considerate doll. Of course we could she said with a genuine smile and compassion. See the attached photo. She brought to us more than we could have possibly eaten individually and more than enough for the two of us to split, It filled us up. All was very flavorful. The beef was fork tender with great beefy flavor. The roasted potatoes were delicious. The Yorkshire Pudding was to die for. Sopping it in the gravy was a bonus. The carrots were tender and sweet. Wife enjoyed the Parsnips. The meal was well priced and lower than many of the other restaurants we checked out on line. We give this a five star rating across the board. Ellie deserve 10 stars! What a pleasure she was to talk to. Wish all servers were like her.

Every year we travel to Cambridge for our (My daughter & myself) Annual double birthday week! I found this gem 💎 called the Millworks! The entire family that came over from all around the UK were extremely impressed by the special atmosphere, most enjoyable celebrations 🍾 .. the restaurant went above & beyond to make sure our daughters 15th! Was made extraordinary.. I was also celebrated as I call her my birthday gift 🎁 15 years ago! We had the whole restaurant, staff, other diners sing along Happy Birthday!!! 🎂 🥳 🎉 it was like a choir! Superb! The food was deliciously & carefully prepared. We were served drinks, then ordered our starters & mains followed by dessert & a little suprise for my daughters 15th! The service was spot on! The team of staff smiling, friendly, working extremely hard! Well done! We sat indoors next the the Millworks water wheel. It unfortunately was not spinning/ working, will with hope be repaired soon. The main host, manager.. he was a very jolly fella he was gutted for us it had just packed in a couple of weeks before. It didn't matter! We were delighted with their attention to detail.. I/we highly recommend if you, your family, friends & loved ones would like to experience something different. The decor was mind blowing!!! Thank you 😊

Service was great, polite and attentive. Food was good, except the onion rings tasted like the beer was put in separate. The courgette on the Gnocchi was spicy which caught us by surprise. The reason for the loss of an another star is the fact there was a ‘voluntary’ charity donation already added onto the bill called ‘ccf’ which could be any unknown organisation. No information was posted anywhere regarding this which caught us out of the blue but was only £1. Atmosphere was good with the table overlooking the River Cam but a lot of foot traffic walking through the restaurant past our table as it was situated on a public route.

A really nice experience as a computer and gaming nerd. Very quiet, we went about midday on Wednesday and we were the only people in there except employees (and one person who I couldn't tell if they was a visitor or staff). We spent about an hour there. A touch small but it really shines though in the interactivity of the museum. EVERYTHING is open for you to play around on (unless it's behind glass). I didn't interact with a lot because some of the CRTs were flickering quite badly, causing eye strain, but still had a good time. A decent section dedicated to gaming and arcades, with some really nicely restored arcade cabinets. Though there was no mention of arcade consoles (NeoGeo, Naomi, Chihiro, etc.) Thought that was a bit strange considering their prominence in gaming and arcades. Though it could be an issue if space and public interest. Overall just a nice place to spend an hour or two even if you have a cursory interest in computing. Worth supporting!

Fantastic museum/centre, very educational for those wanting to know more about technology/computers not just for us IT nerds. A real insight into the history of computers and how they evolved to change our world. Even an IT professional such as myself would recommend it to others in the field. Very hands on exhibits, pretty cool to sample the gaming consoles of old.. brings back memories as a kid. Definitely worth a visit.

There is absolutely nothing here that is not to like, on so many levels. Not only did it provide a wonderful and balanced history on the development of the computer over the centuries, they've preserved some wonderful artefacts as well as some fantastic interactive elements. All of the hands-on PCs and consoles were fully working and loaded up with excellent representative milestone games. This is a wonderfully curated collection and truly a Mecca for any enthusiast.

I discovered this establishment online while planning a trip to Cambridge. I didn’t know quite what to expect, other than learning about the history of computers and technology. Tickets are £12 for adults, which is very reasonable. At first, you enter a small area at the front, and towards the back, there’s a room filled with old-school computers and machines. Then the real magic begins: you step into an interactive section where you can actually play classic gaming consoles like the Nintendo 64, PlayStation 1 and 2, Xbox, and more. As a longtime gamer, I found this place absolutely outstanding. It brought back so much nostalgia! There’s even a mock-up 1970s-style office you can explore. It’s great fun for the whole family, and if you’re a gamer, it’s definitely a must-visit. There’s also a small merchandise section, and a bathroom near the front counter. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better.

Friendly staff. Fully Wheelchair Accessible. 👍 Born early 70's, I grew up with a lot of those computers and games, so it was really going back in time for me, and I felt like a kid again! I would have loved to see more C64/C128, and maybe a Vic 20, and to have more playable games on Amiga 500 (or just showing something like the Settlers Intro on the A500). I didn't see any mention of the Thomson series of computers like the TO7 and TO70 (with its Optic Pen), around the same time as the C64, I think, or the MO5 and MO9 in the early/mid 80's, IIRC. Nevertheless, it was great, with a fair amount of people there on an early sunny Sunday Afternoon, from young children to some elderly people, and everyone appears to have a great time!

Wonderful spot, I think you could easily spend the whole day there with the different games. However, I loved the has some many original Macs and NEXT. Almost broke PacmAn record🤠

Very nostalgic. And I found the computer that I used to use when I was 15 years old this place really brought back a lot of memories of my childhood so I’m glad I took the time to check out this place on my quick trip to the UK.

Really interesting wine tasting with a great selection for all tastes. Mark has so much knowledge and is a great speaker and presenter. The "Call my bluff" format was really fun, and we had such a great evening! Thank you!
Rebecca F — Google review
I contacted Mark at relatively short notice about organising a private tasting at my home for a small group of friends. Mark was very prompt in his communications and managed to make it all work. Our tutor for the evening was Eve, who displayed great facilitation/hosting skills and clearly a very deep knowledge of different wines and wine production methods. My guests really appreciated the opportunity to ask questions, all of which were answered in a really clear and detailed way. The evening was tailored exactly as I had requested. The content was technical enough for some more seasoned tasters, but not overwhelming, and really very interesting. The wines served felt high quality and I felt that the evening represented good value for money. The evening was a huge success: huge thanks to Eve and Mark for making it possible. I would thoroughly recommend the Cambridge Wine School.

My fiance offered me the 6-week wine course for my birthday and we are loving it. Mark is very knowledgeable and we are learning so much week on week about the different countries where wine is made, what to pair it with, tips and tricks and much more...! It is really good value for money, and we look forward to going back each week. Will look into the other events Mark is running.

Sparkling Wine Tasting : Really enjoyed the evening. It was a present to us from one of our sons. We are not wine buffs but it was informative without being too heavy. The evening covered the history of sparkling and trying of samples of the various types. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would happily recommend.

Wine tasting was really great fun. Mark was very knowledgeable and made the night fun with the call the bluff aspect. I learnt a lot about wine. Would definitely recommend. I will definitely go to another event hosted by Mark.

I have attended a few over the last decade and have always deeply valued his extensive knowledge of wine, terroir, and the fine nuances of the field, as well as his no-fuss approach. He makes wine very approachable and enjoyable for every level of experience. It's also a great bonus for us in Cambridge that he offers WSET Level 2 & 3 certification exams and training courses. It is a real privilege to have access to this course in our town, as it is quite rare outside of London.

Pickerel is a classic-meets-modern pub located in Cambridge, known for its diverse clientele and British meals, including buffet menus. Situated near the River Cam, it is a popular bar with a gorgeous interior. Operated by Greene King, it has a long history dating back to the early 17th century and has changed ownership multiple times. The pub's warm and cozy atmosphere is complemented by its colorful history, having served as various establishments in the past.
Such a vibe! The staff here are lovely and the food is affordable and delicious. We had the vegan burger and stake and ale pie. Both were delicious and got served pretty quickly. The place itself is clean and really cozy. One little nitpick would be that they put too much ice in the drinks but that’s just me being picky. Definitely will be coming back and recommending to friends.

Chilled pub with nice atmosphere. Got very busy when it got hot this week. The cold beer and the hot weather was perfect match. Great place, nice vibes and good drinks.
Indy R — Google review
Great classic pub with beers on draft and several great ciders to purchase. We popped in on a rainey day and it was warm and inviting. Apparently both CS Lewis and JRR Tolkin both came here to write and I could certainly see that. Had a nice patio and multiple rooms to gab a table it. Was decent busy for a random Wednesday afternoon.
Ansley B — Google review
Popped in for a quick drink while on a visit to Cambridge, as a history lover I had to visit the oldest pub in Cambridge. Quite small near the entrance, but beyond some quirky walls where I imagine old fireplaces stood, it opens up and there is a fair amount of seating and a large garden space. Great place to start a Cambridge pub crawl as it's right on the river. Service was quick and there was a decent selection on tap and a few gins available too. Food was available but we had booked elsewhere so didn't eat, but there were menus available

It is nice to visit and enjoy drinks and food here. It is better to sit outside; the ambience is nicer.

The oldest pub in Cambridge, if I'm not mistaken... CS Lewis used to drink here... What else would you want? A bit of old magic laced in the woodwork, a wonderful place. Toast the ghosts of all the beautiful souls who have graced these cozy rooms...

Nice classic pub. Great service. Pastry lovers will really like the pies! The burger was also good. Reasonable prices. Only 4* as the steak in the pie was a little stringy. Would visit again.

It was an absolute privilege performing at this wonderful venue. The staff were all great, friendly and helpful. The building is iconic and the history is on par with many london venues. Absolutely amazing! My dressing room was very special. I felt like a rock star! 😎😁 I hope I get to perform here again one day. Thank you, Cambridge Corn Exchange for looking after us and our delightful show so well.

Excellent concert venue. Big enough to have a decent crowd but still feel relatively intimate. Attended Ocean Colour Scene supported by Kula Shaker and it was a brilliant experience. Go to a lot of gigs and this venue is right up there. Excellent sound, great location well run (bar is a little slow but where isn't really) Absolutely recommend, we travelled from Ireland and will be watching out for more gigs to attend here. Top stuff.
Ronan C — Google review
Nice venue and easy access. Bear in mind most of the seating is positioned flat so may have restricted views if a tall person sits in front of you! With that said, this venue has a great line up!
Paul B — Google review
Nice enough. Easy to find. We got there early. Front door was open but no-one anywhere in evidence. Went back nearer the start time and got in easily. Signage internally is a bit hit and miss but the ushers were helpful. The acoustics are a bit poorer than I'm used to (rock concert). Seating is good and reasonably comfy. Views are reasonable, even from our cheaper seats. If you're driving in, onsite parking non-existent. Council carparks are close, charging £1.50/hr after 6pm but if you want to make a day of it and park earlier, be prepared to pay a LOT more. There's several Park and Ride carparks available but the bus services stop at about 8pm, making getting back from a show a nightmare. Some park & ride parks are served within a 10-15-20 minutes walk by local buses but you need to do a bit of googling. One BIG criticism: Customer service?they've heard of it. I emailed to their only published email address with a question. Twice. Several days apart. Absolutely no response at all, even to say "sorry can't help". Very poor indeed.l
John K — Google review
Nice venue, first visited there in 1972. It's changed a bit since then. Back in the day it was mainly standing for the bands I used to see. Now it's all seated One complaint I have is that the tiers of seating are not steep enough, so you can have your view blocked by people seated in front. Can't comment on the bar, as didn't use it. Getting in and out of the venue was pretty fast.
Steve T — Google review
I was there for a Hawkins concert. The seats are comfortable and the sightlines are ok. The bar staff are friendly and the drinks typical for a theatre, ie expensive but not ridiculous. Toilets are clean but barely adequate for the venue size.
Jeff B — Google review
My friends and I were in the top tier. The show was great. However, the seats in that tier are to small even for small bodies and they are not staggered to enhance viewings. The venue was very warm and we were all very glad when the show ended. Exit to the outside was good and much needed due to the heat in the exchange.

We go here often for food and darts as its such a fun and easy place to visit. Great atmosphere and staff are so lovely. Also playing darts is just awesome. Great menu, and Gluten free options, I sometimes opt for no bun but its all just wonderful without it! So much flavour!

Had a good time here. The darts are a lot of fun with a group. The food was okay, I had the half rack of ribs and wasn’t blown away, I also felt that the food is a bit overpriced but it certainly isn’t terrible! The service was fast and friendly. Come here with a group of friends and you’re sure to have a fun time.

Great experience at Slingers. The staff was very polite and fun. The Chicken Caesar was very good for the price and we didn't get other food, but cocktails and beer are what seem to shine here. Happy hour's a good deal. Highly recommend for a beer or cocktail and a snack. Great location as well, would go back.

Food was amazing, staff were impeccable! We were served by Elliot and 2 girls (didn’t manage to get their names). We had to wait a while for food as they had a huge pre order table downstairs, but didn’t put us off as Elliot was so attentive and everyone was so apologetic. I wish every restaurant had the same level of care we got from them. 100% recommend and will definitely be going back!!

George P — Google review
Would rate any higher. In a smokehouse restaurant, one would expect a nice smoked n bbq meat. Unfortunately the ribs seems to be deep fried. Not only the ribs, the corn in cob is also deep fried( see pic)! Felt bit cheated of the quality. Rating low because its not smoked or bbq as claimed.
Aru K — Google review
I have come here a couple of times. I've tried the drinks, the food and the darts. This place has a unique industrial aesthetic I love. Including some really cool light pathways that light up when you press a button to call.the waiter. The food was fairly unremarkable for a vegetarian, but serviceable. Probably a better choice for meat-eaters. The drinks were weird to a European like me, for example a coke with vanilla ice cream in it, but surprisingly nice! Finally, me and the group I went with had great fun with the dart games. There were plenty of game modes to play, it detected the score automatically pretty reliably, and it was overall a great time.

It’s a cool pub with a nice outdoor garden, and since Gorilla + Lamb is there, you can get decent burgers too.

Should be a great pub. But my experience wasn’t great. There was only one poor lad behind the bar all on his own. The chicken burger was pretty bad and massively over priced. The pump beer was not good, and due to a technical issue about 4 taps were not working. Fair play to the guy behind the bar on his own for working a shift.
Justin C — Google review
Food was brilliant! 🍔 I had a delicious burger and the cider here is quite cheap in comparison to other pubs I’ve been to.

Been here first time and like to say it's one of best pubs in Cambridge. Wonderful and surprisingly huge beer selection of cask and keg as well as bottles and cans. Every beer served by the specific beer glass which is very impressive for me. They are holding regular beer festivals, convenient location. Decor is super cool specifically ceiling if you look up. Plenty of seating inside and out at the back under big canopy but most of was full as it's very popular places for drinkers as well as food lovers. Defo coming back again and happily recommend

OMG……. This is not only immense, it is bloody delicious too! We came out for dinner here on a recommendation from a friend who told us ‘The Town & Gown do the most amazing roast’. She was not wrong. Freshly cooked veg (not boiled to death) and lashings of tasty gravy. This is hands down the best roast for miles around. Looking forward to coming back.

Not too sure why this place has so many good reviews, we went here on a Sunday to grab a roast, should have known it was going to be really bad because you have to pay up front and advertising boards that look nothing like the food (It really wasn’t a best kept secret) We both had roast beef which turned up raw and cold! Not too sure what happened there, everything else was hot. We immediately send both our meals back, waited about 20 minutes then the beef turned up overcooked (Same plates) the vegetables and everything else was cold, you couldn’t make it up!! They did give us a refund for the food, gave us free desserts which was a nice gesture but not quite sure what the chef was doing that day.

So delighted to have discovered this quaint theatre/restaurant/bar just off the main thoroughfare in Cambridge. The ambience was relaxing and the food was delicious. Pub with Privacy I often overlook this pub, as it's located on a side road, the back of TK Maxx. The food was quite expensive compared to Eagle, Bath House and Baron of Beef. The Sunday roast tasted nice, with crispy Yorkshire pudding. The potatoes were a bit too crispy, overcooked? Not sure about the burger. The portion was small in terms of its price. The burger was not hot enough. The beef patty was a bit dry. I was not full after the burger meal. But the environment is genuinely nice, very clean and open. Every table has a big distance. The toilets are not small. I think it's a lovely environment.
Pui L — Google review
Food- Overall was great in terms of taste, purple cabbage added a nice balance with the acidity. However, there were only 4 small potatoes (but were very crispy) which was a slight letdown. A small stuffing ball was nice as well but not enough. Cauliflower cheese was nice as well with decent browning for flavour, but more creamy and less cheesy though. Service- It was counter service so there wasn’t much interaction with the staff except asking for sauce and question regarding the meal. QR code wasn’t working to order either. Atmosphere- Decor of a bar/comedy club so not specifically designed for meals. Toilets were clean with baby-changing on the ground floor.

I have found my favourite pub, unfortunately I live 400 miles from it :( This place is awesome. Love the theatre details, wish I could catch a show. Very friendly service, funky music and I've just had the best steak I've ever had, which I wasn't expecting. I'd give this place 10 stars of I could.

Delicious food and a lovely atmosphere just off a quaint side street in Cambridge. I had the chicken and avocado chibatta and have no complaints 9/10 on food ! I went to a drag night at the Portland Arms and had a grand old time. Lovely atmosphere, particularly good sound and lighting for the show, and a damn good pizza to go with. Great little pub with a real character and one of the best small live music venues I've been to. I came here for a gig and ended up staying way longer than planned because the atmosphere was just that good. The staff were friendly, drinks were fairly priced (solid selection of local ales and some decent ciders), and the sound quality in the venue space was surprisingly good for its size. It’s a bit tucked away compared to the pubs in the city centre, but totally worth the short walk. The performance room is intimate, so you really feel close to the bands; I saw a couple of up-and-coming indie acts and the energy was amazing. There’s also a beer garden out back which is great for pre-show pints or a chilled evening. Didn’t try the food this time, but I’ve heard good things about their burgers and nachos. If you're into live music or just want a proper pub with a welcoming vibe, this is a gem in Cambridge.

The Blue Moon is a cozy tavern located in Cambridge, offering a variety of stone-baked pizzas, live gigs, and outdoor seating. Despite its unassuming exterior, the pub boasts a traditional atmosphere with an extensive selection of craft beers and over 100 gins to choose from. The menu primarily features unique pizza toppings along with olives and simple desserts. Situated in the residential areas of Cambridge, it attracts both local and well-known artists to its small stage.
Love the Pizza and the atmosphere! The best thing about this place however is how dog friendly they are! I love being able to bring my pup with me when I go out to dinner. Bonus points!

Very cool, hip pub, and it’s a plus that Oscar’s Pizza is based there too.
Mehdi — Google review
Absolutely great find, in a city of many great pubs, this stands out. Super friendly staff, great choice of beers and amazing Oscar’s pizza
David E — Google review
I love this pub, one of the best in Cambridge! Amazing beers and the pizza’s are a must!! The service is always super fast and friendly. Great atmosphere. You have to try their mini tiramisu too
Natasha R — Google review
A great little pub that's very inclusive and hosts some great events. It's not always easy to get served quickly but this time was a dream. I haven't eaten there but the pizzas look pizzarey.
Lindsey O — Google review
It has come to my attention that I have not reviewed this incredibly important (not only to me, but to a lot of people) venue and pub. Let me be absolutely clear when I say, this is the most important place in Cambridge. It is a safe space for all people, where you can be yourself, and the only reason you might not feel that way is if being yourself involves being hateful towards others. It is unapologetically defensive of the rights of everyone to be able to come together, be kind, enjoy local music, drink an expertly curated variety of craft beer, and live safely. The bar staff are helpful and lovely, the management is knowledgeable and proactive, the food is delicious, the entertainment is wide ranging and inclusive. I love this pub and my love is based in all the ways the pub loves it's customers back.
Daryl S — Google review
This is probably my favourite pub in Cambridge! The pub itself is nice and atmospheric with a slightly alternative style and a nice big outdoor area. The inside is split into two halves, with one half hosting a wide range of events throughout each month, including several music nights, drag shows, and other events. There's a wide range of interesting drinks available, which change from time to time, keeping things interesting. They also label which drinks are vegan, which is very considerate. The staff there are all really friendly and welcoming. In fact the whole pub feels very welcoming, and feels particularly inclusive for minority groups. And lastly, the ultimate reason for going there: Oscar's Lockdown Pizza. They make incredible handmade pizzas. I have only tried the vegan pizzas, but I can tell you that they are easily the best vegan pizzas that I have ever eaten, and honestly, better than any non-vegan pizzas I've had in the past. They handmake their own vegan cashew cheese, so none of that artificial plasticy feety vegan cheese like you get from supermarkets, just genuinely tasty creamy succulence. I should also mention that I have it on very good authority (best friend) that the non-vegan pizzas are also the best in Cambridge.
Jacob — Google review
I am a frequent Blue Mooner, and most recently went for their Summer Fair, which was an incredible time. Lovely little pub, immediately cosy, friendly and welcoming, particularly for Les Homosexuelles. Pizza is well priced, interesting, and with good vegan options (it'd be lovely if they could cater for coeliacs - I can't bring my coeliac friend here to eat). I'm not normally a pub-goer due to my specific brand of freakishness making me an ousider/tourist attraction, but that's never ever been a problem at the Blue Moon. I'll be back.

Heffers Bookshop is a historic and iconic independent shop in Cambridge, offering an extensive range of books across all genres, as well as board games, music, and gifts. Established in 1876, this three-story book lover's paradise has been a focal point for book-related events in the city. The friendly booksellers are knowledgeable about the latest releases and thousands of titles including classics, comics, manga, fiction, and non-fiction.
This is the best and kindest book shop I’ve ever been to! I was on holiday from Japan and I wanted to read Harry Potter for the first time as a way to study English, however I ended up buying the Scott’s edition! It was my mistake for not looking carefully enough, but I was so sad and contacted Heffers to tell them what I had done. Their customer service was amazing and they quickly solved my problem! I’m so grateful to them. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in Cambridge! Thank you so much.

This is easily one of the best bookshops I have ever been to. It's kind of hidden from the main shopping area and looks quite small from outside, but it is absolutely massive inside, and packed full of books from floor to ceiling (literally!) across several floors. Bookshops like this just don't exist anymore and it almost feels like you're taking a step back in time. The atmosphere is really pleasant and it's incredibly fun to just browse the shelves and find something interesting to read. They have a huge selection of books, so I can easily spend hours browsing in here. They also sell toys and gifts too. The staff are friendly and helpful, and I've never had to wait too long to be served. They have a large clearance section, selling books at heavily-discounted prices. In addition, there is a second hand book section, where you can bag some excellent bargains, if you don't mind buying used books. This is a fantastic bookshop and if you like books, you will absolutely love this bookshop!

Heffers becomes one of my favourite bookshops since I first visited two months ago. It is a cultural sanctuary from the extremely busy and touristy weekend Cambridge. You can find books in many different categories. The best thing to me is that it’s very easy to navigate the shop and the books. Many books are displayed on tables or facing out from shelves so it is convenient to find what you want. On top l, although not many, they do have sofas where you can sit and enjoy reading.
Prudence T — Google review
Great bookstore. Amazing. Good books and helpful & friendly staff. Check it out yourself:)
Jia-Lin — Google review
It’s like stepping into a book wonderland — the bookshop itself is a whole experience. It has such a rich history and the staff are genuinely lovely.

This library is really special! I love browsing through their bookshelves and sitting around to read a few pages

Great bookstore with a wide variety. Right across from Trinity. The bottom level has a lounge area where you can read. The employee at the register went out of his way to help me. Definitely worth checking out.

My 12 year old daughter is a bookworm and thought the shop was beautiful. We spend ages browsing and obviously didn't come out empty handed. Lovely staff too. It was recommended by a friend and well worth the visit.

Cocktail bar
196 Cocktail Bar, located in Cambridge, is a hidden gem known for its authentic cocktail recipes and great atmosphere. Tucked away on Mill Road, this small but cozy bar features hand-drawn menus and local wines displayed on floor-to-ceiling shelves. It's a popular spot for enjoying cocktails, great wine, and small plates in a refined setting.
This bar offers a wonderfully intimate atmosphere. The crafted cocktails and handwritten menu add a unique, personal touch. It's truly a perfect spot for a drink, no matter the season.
Yasmin D — Google review
Great atmosphere. Didn't eat there. It was a hot summer's eve, sat inside as the sun was setting and it was the perfect end to the day. I had THE best lemonade ever!!! Not pictured here, but isn't this drink a work of art. 🙏
Lolly L — Google review
Must visit for cocktail lovers. Great vibe, even better drinks. Tiki drinks are amazing and so are the spirit forward ones
William M — Google review
Love this place to bits. The cocktails are absolutely delicious and reasonably (and simply!) priced at £10, £11, or £12. The service is not your normal bar - you sit down and they come to you - and the staff are nice. I really like the fact that you can sit out on the street on a sunny evening and watch the world go by - I love walking past and seeing people enjoying themselves. Overall great vibes.
Jess — Google review
A special & hidden gem cocktail bar of Mill Road I have been here a few times already mainly for special occasions like birthdays and going on a date. What a nice gem 💎 of Mill Road—-great cocktails 🍹 and service. However the place is a bit small and always busy around weekend so you need to be aware of that. Not sure if they will let you book a table during the weekend though. I highly recommend it to everyone who like cocktails 🍹 Feedback/suggestions: A cocktail menu need to be refurbished though. It is hard to read and the paper is almost disintegrated…
Yanin N — Google review
Best cocktails in town. Small place, extended by a heated terrace, very lovely staff. Some great plates on the side like cheeseboards and an excellent pate.
Roeland V — Google review
Best cocktail bar I have ever been to. Without a doubt. Please go and ask the bartender to surprise you - it will be a splendid evening.

Amazing atmosphere, amazing drinks that were stronk yet went down the gullet like a marble over velvet. The daiquiris taste just like a smoothie. 10/10 would drank again

The Punt Yard is a popular spot located on the Cambridge quayside, offering beautiful river views and delicious food. During the week, it focuses on serving sourdough pizza, while weekends are dedicated to brunch. The quirky breakfast pizzas, such as the Aussie Vegan with smashed avocado and barbecue sauce, are particularly noteworthy. The venue's vintage-chic space with open-air seats and live music adds to its appeal.
There's something slightly off about having a vaguely trad-themed pub in an obviously not-old setting. If you can get past that (it took me a couple of tries) then this place is great. Friendly, great location, great beer, great cocktails, great food, at pretty good prices. I'm rounding up from 4.5⭐ but whatever. 🆒

The vegan pizzas are amazing with good toppings and a nice amount of violife cheese. There are loads of other vegan options and great cocktails too. The staff are super friendly and it has a nice atmosphere. Will definitely be going back.

Delicious pizza and cocktails!! Great atmosphere, my new favourite place in Cambridge. Lawrence’s makes amazing drinks!

The punt yard is a nice little venue with some character. It looks and feels very similar to The Brew house, but I think they own it. I had the chicken wings and pixxa, both were superb, and came very quickly. There is a room at the back which was hired out for a party and looked like a lot of fun

If you're looking to indulge in a touch of luxury during your time in Cambridge, the 12A Members Club on Market Hill is an absolute must-visit. This exclusive venue radiates sophistication and offers a unique atmosphere that sets it apart from typical bars. While it's not a traditional club, its chic decor and vibrant ambiance create an inviting space for members to unwind and socialize. The attentive staff enhances the experience, making every visit feel special.
Liked the new decor and had a better feel to it than before. Service was great had much more of a club feel rather than just a bar.
Andy W — Google review
Expensive decor and v expensive drinks. Paid for a ticket for live music, but "members" who didn't pay and didn't care talked *loudly* throughout. The place isn't really set up for live music. Don't sell tickets for a "gig" if it's just a pub setting. I mentioned this to the manager and he just shrugged. I won't be applying for membership or buying tickets again
Jayarava A — Google review
Good cocktails but overpriced. They say it's a members only place but that is not true. Membership is overrated and overpriced
