Heffers Bookshop is a historic and iconic independent shop in Cambridge, offering an extensive range of books across all genres, as well as board games, music, and gifts. Established in 1876, this three-story book lover's paradise has been a focal point for book-related events in the city. The friendly booksellers are knowledgeable about the latest releases and thousands of titles including classics, comics, manga, fiction, and non-fiction.
This is the best and kindest book shop I’ve ever been to! I was on holiday from Japan and I wanted to read Harry Potter for the first time as a way to study English, however I ended up buying the Scott’s edition! It was my mistake for not looking carefully enough, but I was so sad and contacted Heffers to tell them what I had done. Their customer service was amazing and they quickly solved my problem! I’m so grateful to them. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in Cambridge! Thank you so much.

This is easily one of the best bookshops I have ever been to. It's kind of hidden from the main shopping area and looks quite small from outside, but it is absolutely massive inside, and packed full of books from floor to ceiling (literally!) across several floors. Bookshops like this just don't exist anymore and it almost feels like you're taking a step back in time. The atmosphere is really pleasant and it's incredibly fun to just browse the shelves and find something interesting to read. They have a huge selection of books, so I can easily spend hours browsing in here. They also sell toys and gifts too. The staff are friendly and helpful, and I've never had to wait too long to be served. They have a large clearance section, selling books at heavily-discounted prices. In addition, there is a second hand book section, where you can bag some excellent bargains, if you don't mind buying used books. This is a fantastic bookshop and if you like books, you will absolutely love this bookshop!
Tintin — Google review
Heffers becomes one of my favourite bookshops since I first visited two months ago. It is a cultural sanctuary from the extremely busy and touristy weekend Cambridge. You can find books in many different categories. The best thing to me is that it’s very easy to navigate the shop and the books. Many books are displayed on tables or facing out from shelves so it is convenient to find what you want. On top l, although not many, they do have sofas where you can sit and enjoy reading.
Prudence T — Google review
Great bookstore. Amazing. Good books and helpful & friendly staff. Check it out yourself:)

It’s like stepping into a book wonderland — the bookshop itself is a whole experience. It has such a rich history and the staff are genuinely lovely.

This library is really special! I love browsing through their bookshelves and sitting around to read a few pages

Great bookstore with a wide variety. Right across from Trinity. The bottom level has a lounge area where you can read. The employee at the register went out of his way to help me. Definitely worth checking out.

My 12 year old daughter is a bookworm and thought the shop was beautiful. We spend ages browsing and obviously didn't come out empty handed. Lovely staff too. It was recommended by a friend and well worth the visit.

The Cambridge Satchel Company is a charming brand that has captured the hearts of many with its iconic British satchels. Founded by Julie Deane in 2008, this venture began as a personal mission to fund her children's private school fees. What started as a simple school bag quickly transformed into a fashion statement, embraced by celebrities like Alexa Chung and Sienna Miller. The bags gained instant popularity, even gracing the pages of Italian Vogue within their first year.
I had a fantastic experience with The Cambridge Satchel Company- 9.7.22 I was super excited because this is going to be my very first bag from the Cambridge Satchel Company. I have been looking to buy the classic satchel bag for a very long time!!! 😌 More importantly, I admire the entrepreneurial journey of the company founder and CEO, Julie Deane. She is such an inspiration to me. Firstly I would like to give you my experience about the service they provided (this is not sponsored). The staff name “Abbie” was really helpful and friendly. To me, she delivered such a remarkable customer service. I contacted the flagship store in Cambridge enquiring about the classic bag. She was very nice and she helped me out along the processes from phone call enquiries, a follow-up call and collecting my new bag. Thank you so much for this, Abbie. Also, I would like to mention Becky she was very helpful when I visit the store. Very friendly and kind. KUDOS to you both!!! Secondly, I would like to mention the store it itself. The shop in Cambridge is really beautiful. It exudes a sense of creativity and craftsmanship. The store is located just around the corner to King’s college chapel 💒 If you ever come to visit Cambridge, do come check this place out. I recommend it!! Pick up a high-quality stylish leather bag and accessories (Made in Great Britain). It is the pride of Cambridge.
Yanin N — Google review
Bad Quality and Bad Design The handle snapped in no time. I wasn't even carrying much in the bag. It is difficult to hold the weight of the bag with just a little knob. See the images here. My opinion is that if you want a sort of fashionable-looking bag just for a month then this may be the brand for you but for me I don't think this is not worth it.
L P — Google review
I would not recommend this to anything but standing on a shelf. Those bags do look great indeed, but the utility is just... abysmal. I've been trying really hard to convince myself it is a everyday bad for a year. And every single day I used it was just a nightmare. The convenience and feel of the bag makes me think whoever designed that did not even attempt to make it comfortable or easy to use. I give up, back to my old £15 no name brand bag.
Petr K — Google review
Super friendly staff! I’ve had my bag for half year, I’m impressed by the amazing after sales service. Good value for the lovely bag and customer care!

I wont even give one star. A male manager was really really rude, really really impatient. He even said it was his shop, he didnt care. Pity for company has staff like him. Will tell all my friends not shopping in Cambridge company, unless who likes to be treat badly.

Nestled in the heart of Cambridge, the Cambridge Gin Laboratory is a unique and interactive space dedicated to celebrating the art of gin. Operated by the renowned Cambridge Distillery, this laboratory offers visitors an opportunity to engage in various experiences such as tastings, blending sessions, and even creating their own bespoke bottles of gin. The highlight is the chance to craft a personalized blend guided by expert distillers.
The Gin Lab is a fantastic, quirky and interesting shop. Having done several of their masterclasses, the team’s knowledge and passion for gin is impressive. Every experience has been 5* and the gins are world-class. My favourite class is the molecular one - such fun!
Ji H — Google review
Really nice experience at the Gin Lab. Our mixology teacher was great and fun. I had a good time, learnt and tasted some really tasty gins!
Bianca O — Google review
I did the 'Make It' experience which was very fun and interesting, we learned about how gins were made and then tried all the different flavours to make our own gin. We get to keep the notes of our recipe and would be able to reorder the bottle (or buy it on the spot) with our recipe via online or phone. So that'll be a nice souvenir to bring back home. We were also given a glass of gin and tonic to accompany our class and the lady was very helpful and insightful. For those who want to just pop in the shop to buy a bottle of gin, they also have very nice and well maintained display. You can also try them first before you buy them.
Claire — Google review
Even though I’m not a fanatic Gin drinker and/or a chemistry fan (I just never really understood it 🙈😂) this workshop of making your own Gin was absolutely brilliant. The way that Jenna told and taught the whole process and history of Gin making was so inspiring and so much fun. This little woman has the spirit (no pun intended 😂) of a carnival ride on steroids. And it’s contagious ❤️🙏🏻. Everyone sat there, listening and watching her, telling everything about Gin. So, if you want a really nice afternoon, and you’re interested in Gin, PLEASE go to the Gin Laboratory and follow a workshop. Well worth the money (£35 p.p.). 🥳😎🙏🏻
Manon S — Google review
An absolute must-visit! One of the most unique experiences I’ve ever had. I chose the Make-it class, where we learned about the fascinating history of gin before creating our own tailor-made blend. You can even purchase a bottle of your very own gin to take home! Jaz was amazing - engaging, knowledgeable, and such a pleasure to listen to. After the class, we even tried their Anty gin… complete with real ants on the side! The other classes looked fantastic too. Overall, a truly unforgettable experience. If you visit Cambridge, you simply have to visit the Cambridge Gin Laboratory!

We did the 1hr gin making class as a birthday present - tutor was knowledgeable and personable, making it a fun and interesting experience. Would recommend.

As a gin lover this place was on my list during my day visit to Cambridge. It's located in the heart of the city. The place is small and cosy. The gin is locally made and they have workshops on how to make your own drinks. They have great gin cocktails on the go and to shop from them bottles too. This place is highly recommended if you're into gin. You should check out this amazing gem in Cambridge.
YAFEA A — Google review
My son and I did the ‘Make It’ experience which he had gifted me. It was a fantastic hour plus of fun, information and LOTS of gin! Great value for money with the option of taking home a bottle of your creation assuming it’s drinkable! Max, our host, was full of nuggets of gin related trivia - and not so trivial and ran the afternoon with humour and prowess. You could also sample some of the gins they make. Other experiences are also on offer - or you can just mooch around their shop, chat to the lovely staff and buy a bottle of their delicious and vibrant gin.

Cambridge Market Square is a historic outdoor market that has been a central gathering place for locals since medieval times. It offers a wide variety of goods, including gourmet food stalls, fresh produce, herbs and spices, preserves, oils, condiments, and locally made crafts. The market reflects the city's vibrant multicultural community with its diverse range of offerings from around the world.
Cambridge Market Square truly offers a delightful experience, and I was particularly pleased to discover the abundance of halal food options available – a welcome surprise, as such choices often feel limited elsewhere. Beyond the wonderful food, the market is a vibrant hub brimming with diverse offerings. From unique retro clothing finds and stylish hats to eye-catching jewelry, there's something to capture every interest. The tempting array of desserts and sweets is hard to resist, and the stalls overflowing with fresh, colorful fruits and vegetables are a testament to the local produce. In short, Cambridge Market Square really does seem to have it all!
Mohammed A — Google review
I found Cambridge Market Square underwhelming. For such a historic and vibrant city, I expected something more distinctive and rooted in the local culture. Instead, the stalls felt generic, selling things that could be found in almost any market elsewhere. There wasn’t much that felt uniquely “Cambridge” about it. The food options were particularly disappointing. Nothing stood out as something I’d want to try again, and the prices were on the high side for what was being offered. I wouldn’t really choose to eat there, especially when there are so many better places around the city. Overall, the market lacks character and originality. It doesn’t showcase local produce, crafts, or specialties in a way that would make it worth visiting. Honestly, there’s nothing that makes it feel like a must-see in Cambridge—it could just as easily be anywhere else.
Mimi — Google review
Cambridge Market Place is a treasure trove of diversity and delight! With a vast array of shops selling everything from quirky souvenirs to mouth-watering dishes from around the world, you'll find something to suit every taste and interest. And if you're looking for fresh produce, you'll be spoiled for choice. A must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience the best of Cambridge's culture, food, and shopping - you won't be disappointed!

Cambridge is a market city, and stalls have been trading at the historic market square in the city centre since the middle ages. From Monday-Sunday, 10am-4pm, you will find stalls selling a wide range of goods including: Street Food, Books, Vinyl, CDs and DVDs Clothes, jewellery and bags Fruit and vegetables, fresh fish and health foods Second hand bikes Garden plants Mobile phones and accessories ...and much more!

Very expensive stuff (tourist prices) but a great variety of food & drink including organic, trinkets and souvenirs here. We had some nice Malaysian-Japanese take away. Cam Cattle sells great steak here at the weekend - sells quickly though so best to visit in the morning.

very busy local market, has few benches nearby for sitting down to eat/drink, worth to look around if you don’t know what to eat for lunch/dinner or simply just grab some snacks to munch.

There weren’t as many stalls as I expected, to be honest. It’s quite small even smaller than some neighborhood markets back in Turkey. But we got lucky and found a Turkish stand selling gözleme, and it was absolutely amazing! That definitely made our day 🥹

Nestled on Mill Road, Relevant Record Cafe is a delightful fusion of a cozy café and an eclectic record shop. This vibrant hangout offers ethically sourced coffee that doesn't skimp on flavor, making it the perfect spot for breakfast or brunch—whether you're flying solo or catching up with friends. The cafe caters to various dietary needs, featuring gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options alongside delectable cakes and salads.
Perfect for a Saturday morning breakfast or brunch followed by a glorious visit to the basement. Great albums in a carefully decorated room. Come with time and money available and be happy. Kids friendly, specially if they share with you the joy of album hunting activity.

It's my favourite little hidden gem in Cambridge. Food is always freshly made, with a great selection of options for both savoury meals and sweets or snacks. They are great with allergies and dietary requirements. Fresh smoothies, coffee, and the most welcoming staff. Feels like home, and there's a hidden treat downstairs
World O — Google review
Great place for records at a fair price and always friendly helpful service from people who love music. The record shop is in the basement. The cafe on the ground floor always smells amazing and overall the place itself is so nice to be in. Finally had brunch here! The staff are so down to earth and helpful. Just don't come here expecting Starbucks in and out service - relax! Enjoy! It is worth it. Easy to find food here if you are looking for vegan, vegetarian or gluten free options. They have gluten free bread options & choice of white or brown bread. They serve slices of cakes and pastries, vegan sausage rolls & gf cakes! All the classic breakfast options & though I've yet to try, I hear the coffee is fabulous. I was just happy knowing I could get decaf here as I rarely get to enjoy caffeinated drinks! Decaf versions of coffee and tea- just not chai tea. The orange and ginger juice was fresh & came in a large fancy glass. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly & the dish was overall very tasty. Hollandaise sauce was not creamy as I'm used to but it all tasted fabulous. If you have read this far...they also apparently have 2 for 1 cocktails during happy hour here. Cheers. Overall, tasty food, good atmosphere, good selection of records. Great local spot on Mill Road. Will be back. Highly recommend.

Love this place. Great vibe and really fun people working there. When I visited there last time there was a girl working behind the counter who had a new fella and she was telling all her colleagues how lovely he was at the top of her voice - singing songs and just going massively over the top with wise cracks, jokes, full of fun and happy with life (or maybe it was chemical ? but let's be kind and say not !) - and then he walked into the cafe ! Lovely to see someone so happy, enjoying life and in love (?) - really nice. Bless. Food is brilliant and then there is the added bonus of a well stocked record shop in the basement with a 1960's decor and an area to chill in - made like a 1960's living room.. Second hand records, new vinyl and discounted deals.. Super place

Opening hours are wrong as they now serve a great range of cocktails Thursday - Saturday through until midnight. Friendly staff and excellent drinks, with live music of all kinds!

Online customer service isn't great and website advertises items that are out of stock, and just get removed from the order without letting you know. Items received were in perfect condition and delivered quickly. But as half my order turned out to be out of stock I wouldn't have continued with the order had they notified me before sending it out.

Great Store Absolutely love the cheese of this store. The cheese in this store is creamy and soft. Not very salty. Raw cheese available. The store also has other imported or exclusive things like cold meat, crackers, pickles, canned fish and chocolate. As a reminder, it doesn't open on Sunday.
Pui L — Google review
A superb and incredibly well stocked store. The staff were super friendly, knowledgeable, and very keen to help and advise. We tried some cheeses including Stinking Bishop, which was a bit too much for me I'll be honest, but left with some maida vale, a blue and another semi soft which I forget the name of. A must visit for any casual cheese appreciator when in the area. Great shop.
Simon L — Google review
This is now our favorite cheese shop in England! Every cheese in these shop is worth trying. You can see that quality is of utmost importance to the proprietors. Camilla was a fountain of information. Ask her anything regarding cheese produced by cow, sheep or goat. You will learn new things and you will eat amazing cheeses :))) If we lived in Cambridge, we would visit this shop every week. Scarlet was the person who helped us with our order. She had only been employed at the shop for three months and she described the different cheeses we asked about with grace and competence. This was another example of how this shop cares about the quality of your experience. You can also find the most wonderful condiments and biscuits to accompany your cheese. A wonderful place!

An excellent example of how well a small business can thrive when the staff and approachable and highly knowledgeable about their craft. Come here with an open mind, sample some interesting cheese and try something new. Also selling wines, olives, hot sauces and dried goods, it’s a great place to visit on a weekend to enliven your weekday meals ahead. Excited to go back again

Book store
Waterstones is a popular book retailer known for its extensive collection of mainstream and academic books. Many of its stores feature cafes, creating a welcoming environment for browsing and reading. The store is well-organized, with clear signage indicating the location of different genres on each floor. Customers appreciate the helpful staff members who offer personalized recommendations and engage in meaningful conversations about their book selections. In addition to books, Waterstones also offers graphic novels, manga, and board games.
This is an absolutely incredible bookshop. It has four floors and each floor is really spacious, making browsing really easy, even when the shop is busy. There are two cafes inside the shop; one on the ground floor and one on the second floor. The cafe on the ground floor is the smaller of the two and closes earlier than the actual bookshop closes. The cafe on the second floor is much bigger, with plenty of seats, and has longer opening hours (I think it closes at the same time as the bookshop, but I'm not sure). The staff are friendly and helpful, and have always been happy to help me whenever I've needed assistance. The staff usually open more tills when the shop gets busy, so I've always been served pretty quickly. I love visiting this shop whether I'm looking for a book, or just browsing for fun. I can easily lose track of time and spend hours in here, without even realising! Highly recommended!
Tintin — Google review
A great place to stop by. Good book selection but for those coming from the States remember that they are Not Barns&Noble. The place was clean and had helpful staff for finding anything. The building is kinda narrow so you may bump into someone but no big deal. My manga and light novel friends that went looking for updated books were disappointed that they do not have an updated selection to choose from and there wasn't many books for the genre. I believe they told me you can order from there and send it to your home or the store but I never verified myself. They have a great selection of card and boardgames avaliable so definitely check out. The Café was not at it's best on 1st floor when I went, but I may have caught them between food rotation and glass cleaning so not gonna judge too much on it, upstairs one was good to go though so check them out if downstairs is sparce. This might be crazy to read but out of every place me and my partner went to in Cambridge (you know, the usual tourist places like Fitzwilliams, punting, Botanical gardens etc.) THIS was our favourite place. We came back three times to explore all levels. I think if we’re to come back, we would genuinely spend a day here together…and my boyfriend doesn’t even read! Just a great Waterstones!

Very nice book store. It has a large variety of books in fiction and in non-fiction, and also a great collection of magazines. I especially liked that they have many science and arts magazines that are not easily found in a regular book store. Great iced lattes in the cafe upstairs also!

My favourite go-to bookstore in Cambridge!! Waterstones bookstore in Cambridge is an absolute gem for book lovers like me! The moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the cozy and inviting atmosphere. The sheer range of books they offer is impressive, spanning across various genres and interests. I spent hours exploring the well-organized shelves, and the staff was incredibly helpful, guiding me to some fantastic reads based on my preferences. It's evident that the employees are passionate about books, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The ambiance is perfect for getting lost in the world of literature. There are comfy reading spots scattered throughout the store, inviting you to sit back, relax, and delve into the pages of a new adventure. Aside from the vast book collection, Waterstones also hosts exciting book events and author signings, which adds an extra layer of excitement to the store's allure. If you're a book enthusiast, I can't recommend Waterstones in Cambridge enough. It's a haven for bibliophiles and a true haven for bookish exploration.

Great place to browse a brilliantly curated selection of horror, fantasy and sci-fi books. I pop in often, and Josh is always super-knowledgeable and excellent at recommending new titles to appease my inner book dragon! I would highly recommend a visit.

This review is long overdue. I've shopped here for myself and for gifts for others from multiple departments: gardening, mythology, cooking, travel, crime / thriller, fantasy, children's, games, café, stationery, special / signed editions and come for the Customer Christmas Evenings, book discussions, game nights and quizzes. The staff here have been superb in helping me find what I need every single time, either with their own knowledge and recommendations, or finding a colleague with that area is interest / expertise, every single member of staff over the years has been friendly, helpful and at times gone above and beyond in their own way. So this review is long past due and this store is brilliant, and why I keep coming back ... even if I have many unread books at home. P.S. The display at the front of the store is always gorgeous and inviting.

The cramped and dusty old-school shop G. David Bookseller is the sort of place that only the most hardcore book lovers would know about, if they didn't stumble across it while looking for something specific. With a wide range of books in many different genres, there's sure to be something for everyone here. In addition to secondhand titles, the store also sells new maps and prints. If you're ever in the area, it's definitely worth checking out!
Great selection of new, secondhand and antique books. The atmosphere inside is also really nice.

A bit hidden in a corner of Cambridge, this shop is a gem. The moment you step inside, you feel the embrace of books and old pages, and the calm feeling washing over. If you’re not sure which books to look for, then you’re in luck because the people there really know what they’re talking about and would patiently help you. Nestled in St Edwards Passage, The Haunted Bookshop is a charming store specializing in children's and illustrated secondhand and antiquarian books. It's an interesting little shop. I didn't hear any of the haunted tales or anything. It definitely seems like a "hole in the wall" type place. Very tiny and cramped but I think it adds to the aesthetic. I do think it could be a little more organized as it's very hard if you're looking for a specific type of book. Overall I'd say it's okay and would recommend for the experience if you're not big on chain bookstores.

The River Cam in Cambridge offers a delightful way to explore the city, passing by prestigious colleges like Trinity College and St Johns. You can admire the unique geometric shape of the Mathematical Bridge at Queens and even hop aboard a punt for a leisurely cruise down the river. The Varsity Hotel & Spa provides an excellent starting point for exploring the Cam, with its proximity to the punt station.
🏞️This is my first time to visit River Cam,and the view is extremely pleasant & beautiful. I never thought I would come to River Cam one day, although we need to take the boat to appreciate such beautiful scene & see the college students reading by the river. It’s worth visiting River Cam once in our lifetime.✨ Please enjoy the view & boating on Eiver Cam ,and you will find how pretty River Cam is.🛶

Excellent leisure activity in the afternoon with family or friends.

As soon as my boat start journey I feel I’m in a magical land for the time of my River Cam tour on the punt. Can’t explain the atmosphere in words. A must experience thing in the whole of Cambridge. The weather was cold but bright day and got some pics. I would recommend not focusing on taking pictures much coz you’ll loose the feel of the punting trip. This river is a source of great nature beauty, swans, bridges as well as colleges universities n many historical buildings. Fitzbillies is a classic bakery and cafe in Cambridge, known for its traditional pastries and artisan coffee. It's a popular spot for East Anglian fare, offering delicious Chelsea Buns that come highly recommended by locals and even Stephen Fry. The cafe specializes in Traditional Afternoon Tea, making all the bread for finger sandwiches, sultana scones, and mini cakes in their own artisan bakery.
We had the original Chelsea bun, and it met expectations. It was warm, fresh and had lots of small raisins in it. Service was quick, and the lady at the counter was the sweetest. Also not too pricey considering the touristy location, and the cafe’s popularity.
Akhil S — Google review
Nice - pretty typical modern day cafe come cake shop. And while the Chelsea buns may have the same recipe, the way the sugar coating is done nowadays is just not what it was. Fairly average coffee too by modern day standards. Still 4 stars though because I am a picky so and so and you may well find coffee and buns are splendid!
Adam R — Google review
A charming and bustling bakery in Cambridge, best known for its famous Chelsea buns. I ordered a sultana raisin scone served with jam and clotted cream, along with a cup of coffee. The scone was beautifully crisp on the outside, while the cream was rich and indulgent — absolutely delicious. I shared a few Chelsea buns with my friends, and they were every bit as good as their reputation. Although the café was busy, we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly we were served. The lively atmosphere made it the perfect place to enjoy good conversation over excellent pastries. A must-visit spot when in Cambridge.
Tomoe M — Google review
We visited Fitzbillies on a busy Sunday afternoon — it was packed (as expected!) but we managed to get a table without too much waiting. The ordering system is done through your phone, which was convenient overall, though one of the hot drinks was a bit tricky to find on the menu. Of course, we had to try the famous Chelsea bun, and it didn’t disappoint — beautifully sticky, sweet, and rich. They even provided extra golden syrup to pour on top, which was a nice touch. The cappuccino looked great and was well presented, though it could’ve had a bit more depth of flavour. We also had a savoury snack of whipped feta and chickpeas, this was nice but 4 crackers was not enough. The staff were friendly and attentive, even with how busy it was. Overall, a good experience and definitely worth a visit if you’re in Cambridge — especially for the Chelsea bun!
Alamin A — Google review
The cinnamon bun at Fitzbillies is absolutely divine—soft, rich, and bursting with flavor. The café has a warm, welcoming vibe, and the display of fresh pastries is irresistible. A must-visit spot for anyone who loves classic, indulgent baked goods!
Mohammed A — Google review
Came here to check out the iconic Chelsea buns. They were great and lived up to its expectations. Others may find it too sweet for them, but I think it’s a matter of preference and I can appreciate it! We then saw they did afternoon tea, so we tried it: Sandwiches were poor and lacked flavour. Scones were huge (easy split 1 between the 3 of us), and the jam was great. Red velvet cake was amazing. Others were average. Service was really friendly but completely disorganised. Asked for water but never came (mistakes happen, so it’s ok). But while a male waiter was bringing in loads of fresh cutlery, he kept lobbing it in their containers and was constantly making ridiculous amounts of noise. No music was playing and generally the cafe was extremely noisy, given that it wasn’t very busy. Atmosphere was nonexistent. I recommend purchasing your Chelsea buns (as they are worth it) from the bakery beside to takeaway and avoid the cafe. You are not missing much. Value is also on the high side for the quality.
Jeremy O — Google review
After reading many articles mentioning the Chelsea bun is a must have in Cambridge, I was determined to try it before leaving town. I bought some as take away. When I took a bite into the bun moments later, I was utterly disappointed. It was dry and nothing extraordinary. I am not sure what all the hype is about. It was way below my expectations. Only saving grace was the friendly staff I encountered.
J K — Google review
We honestly do not understand how this chain can be so busy, since their flagship pastry is a bun with disappointing hints of whatever flavour they promise. We would not be trying this again. It might be catering for the English palette. The interior design is as dull as they come. The only positive is the generally friendly staff.

Great restaurant. We tried their pizza (the Andrea and Prosciutto and mushroom pizza) as well as their pasta options (mamma pasta and ragu bolognese). We enjoyed them all. The portions were very well sized for the price and the flavours were good. Our only criticism would be we'd have preferred a little more sauce with our pasta and that in the desert option the ice cream was a bit too cold, making it hard to eat with a spoon. Nevertheless, the service was attentive, the atmosphere warm and comfortable, and food was served remarkably quickly.

This is a great place to have some Italian food. I am not Italian but in my judgment the food is great and at a good price too. I had the Special Seafood Pasta GFO, Focaccia, the gin tonic, and the Tartufo Ice Cream (as dessert). My team tried other meals and starters including the Caprese GF There are enough tables to make up for team day out, for a small team though. There's no parking here, I had to park at Devonshire road- bear in mind you can't drive over the bridge on mill road. So you can park and walk over the bridge to arrive there.

Dining Club Meal-Friday 29 August 2025 My sister and I were the hosts for this meal, and our friends the father and the daughter were the guests, my sister and I arrived at the restaurant, to see our guests already seated and waiting for us to arrive, we went to where our guests were seated, and a waiter soon arrived, to ask us if we wanted a bottle each of both sparkling and still water, to which we all said yes, and soon, one bottle of each quickly arrived, when all our glasses were filled, the waiter returned to take our drinks order. The drinks order went as follows: a pint of Shandy and a Diet Coke, and two Alcohol Free Peronis for the daughter, an Alcohol Free Peroni for my sister, and two San Pellegrino Fizzy Blood Orange Drinks in Cans for myself, the father did not order any Alcoholic drinks, as he told us that he has given up drinking Alcohol, and we all said that was a very commendable thing to do. We did not order any Starter Meals, so we ordered Mains, which were two Pinsa romana Cotto e Funghi, which are two Pizzas with Tomatoes, Mozzarella Cheese, Mushrooms, and Ham, for myself and the Daughter, my sister had the Ortolana, which was Tomatoes, Mozzarella Cheese, Courgettes, Aubergines, and Broccoli, and the Father had Lamb Shoulder Steak medium rare, with Chips, a Mixed Salad, and Garlic Mayonnaise. For the dessert, the daughter had Profiteroles, and the Father, my sister and myself we all had Tiramisu.

Italian Restaurant with history Food was generous in portions but not too crazy. The pasta tasted standard but not enough to wow. The desserts were an impressive surprise. Generous portions. Fluffy tiramisu and creamy smooth creme brulee. Not crazily sweet. The restaurant is quite old history, but inside was amazingly clean and well maintained. Quiet environment. Roomy and clean toilets. The service was good. Food delivered quickly, despite being a busy day.
Pui L — Google review
La Margherita is a formidable Italian restaurant with a delicious pizza. I ordered the standard margherita and was happy with the service. The pizza was slightly "bitter" and had no basil, I think. Additionally, the proportion of cheese, dough and sauce was appropriated. The cheaper price (compared to other places in Cambridge) is also appreciated. The restaurant is well located in Cambridge and the staff, especially the waiter, is nice and funny. I also think the space, including furniture, to be cozy. Service was fast and personalised: the waiter brought an extra chair to accommodate us in an empty table (we did not reserve a table for 5 people beforehand). They also offer to pack the rest and did not complain when we overstayed. I recommend the restaurant and hope to come back soon.

The pub's warm and cozy atmosphere is complemented by its colorful history, having served as various establishments in the past.
Such a vibe! The staff here are lovely and the food is affordable and delicious. We had the vegan burger and stake and ale pie. Both were delicious and got served pretty quickly. The place itself is clean and really cozy. One little nitpick would be that they put too much ice in the drinks but that’s just me being picky. Definitely will be coming back and recommending to friends.

Great classic pub with beers on draft and several great ciders to purchase. We popped in on a rainey day and it was warm and inviting. Apparently both CS Lewis and JRR Tolkin both came here to write and I could certainly see that. Had a nice patio and multiple rooms to gab a table it. Was decent busy for a random Wednesday afternoon.

Popped in for a quick drink while on a visit to Cambridge, as a history lover I had to visit the oldest pub in Cambridge. Quite small near the entrance, but beyond some quirky walls where I imagine old fireplaces stood, it opens up and there is a fair amount of seating and a large garden space. Great place to start a Cambridge pub crawl as it's right on the river. Service was quick and there was a decent selection on tap and a few gins available too. It is nice to visit and enjoy drinks and food here. It is better to sit outside; the ambience is nicer.

The oldest pub in Cambridge, if I'm not mistaken... CS Lewis used to drink here... What else would you want? A bit of old magic laced in the woodwork, a wonderful place. Toast the ghosts of all the beautiful souls who have graced these cozy rooms...

Nice classic pub. Great service. Pastry lovers will really like the pies! The burger was also good. Reasonable prices. Only 4* as the steak in the pie was a little stringy. Would visit again.

Ice cream shop
Jack's Gelato is a popular spot in Cambridge known for its wide variety of housemade gelato flavors. Founded by Jack van Praag, who gained experience working in top-end kitchens around the world, the shop offers intriguing flavor combinations such as salted treacle, malted milk, cardamom and rose, Alphonso mango with chili and salt sorbet, and Earl Grey and plum sorbet.
Wow!! This gelato shop is the best I’ve ever tried! As I approached, I saw lots of people enjoying their gelato, either walking by or sitting nearby. The line was long, but thankfully, the wait wasn’t too long. They offer a wide variety of flavors that change weekly. After some difficult choices, I picked Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt and Coconut Ube, opting for a chocolate dipped cone. The gelato was incredibly smooth, and the cone was nice and crispy. If I return to Cambridge, I will definitely come back to try more flavors! Oh, and they have a mini print vending machine in the shop! I got a cute print, which was a lovely bonus! 😍
SY K — Google review
Dense Ice Cream The shop is always busy. They frequently change their menu, that helps to attract returning customers. The flavours of this time were a bit too sweet for my liking. No matter how many times they change the menu, their ice cream always has very dense texture. It's a very popular shop. Be prepared to queue or scanning their QR code for faster service. Also, the road outside the shop is very busy and narrow. Watch out for the cars and bicycles!
Pui L — Google review
My son has allergies, so it’s always tricky to find gelato or ice cream he can safely enjoy. Often he ends up feeling upset because there’s nothing suitable for him — only parents of children with allergies will truly understand that frustration. Thankfully, Jack’s Gelato was incredibly kind and accommodating. Even though it was busy, the staff didn’t rush us or make us feel like a burden. They were so patient, understanding, and genuinely went above and beyond for my little boy. We were deeply grateful. And the gelato was delicious — rich, gooey, and thick, just the way I love it. If it hadn’t been so tasty, I wouldn’t even be writing this review! It’s already a popular place, but I still want to say — I would highly recommend Jack’s Gelato. Thank you again to the lovely staff for your kindness and care🩷

There was this really long queue stretching even outside the store's entrance. However, I love the quick collection service for people who know what they want and can get fast-tracked, prioritised service - condition is you have to know what you want, can't have free samples and pay online using the QR code. I did just that, and worth it. I got the coconut and ube vegan gelato, and another one of dark chocolate with sea salt (also vegan). Loved them both. Definitely a great dessert treat for those visiting Cambridge.
Yuvraj H — Google review
Definitely an amazing experience but as long as you don't mind a bit of a wait..if you do, go on their website and pick the flavours you want as they have a queue jump window. You can mix and match with some unique and amazing flavours, but also follow their Instagram to find out the unique secret flavour per day. Very delicious

A small place with tasty gelato! It’s not the best I have ever had, but definitely good and worth trying when visiting Cambridge. The options are a bit limited, but it’s a nice spot for a quick treat, and the staff are friendly and welcoming.

🍦Cambridge's internet-famous ice cream ~ The flavors change every day ~ because the menu is frequently updated. The queue looked very long, and in a flash, it was lined up 🍦The young ladies are sweeter than ice cream ~ They offered many flavors for tasting, and in the end, I chose the mini Double Ball (dark chocolate sea salt + blackcurrant macas cake)~ 🍦No matter how strong the wind is, I still want sweet ice cream ~
Xiaoling X — Google review
Sometimes the queue could be long but it normally moves quite quickly. They also have an online ordering website where you could "skip the line". It's certainly one of the best gelatos I have ever had! They have different flavours everyday so make sure you check on their Instagram / website before you go! They also have Durian flavour available in sealed cups available in store - unfortunately could not be ordered through the "skip the line" website)

Wonderful cafe, great coffee, tasty food and very friendly service. Good value for the centre of Cambridge and outdoor seating for sunny days. They also have a large and varied selection of vegan cakes - my favourite cafe in Cambridge.

Charming little cafe with delightful staff who remember their regulars. Really good gluten free options, good knowledge of allergen safety. Also has vegan options. Great for toasted sandwiches, coffee, slice/cake and soups. My favourite cafe in Cambridge.

In an alleyway, next to King’s college we found this lovely coffee house ( admittedly with the help of ChatGPT). We had requested a place which served good food and coffee. We are so pleased this turned out to be our lunch spot today. Our expectations were sufficiently met as we order ciabatta and soup- both delicious, as was the coffee. This is topped with a friendly and swift service. We will definitely come back.

I walked in and asked for a basic cheese sandwich for my grandson, and a seat "yes yes yes" the delightful lady replied. She then asked him if he wanted butter 'ni thank you ' and cucumber ' yes please! What a gem to find after a wonderful but very hot day in Cambridge. Thank you so much for exactly what was needed. The menu looked delicious and the service was exemplary, I highly recommend this lovely cafe.

Maurizio Dining & Co. is a charming Italian restaurant and wine bar located in Cambridge, known for its inviting atmosphere and delicious food. The restaurant offers a variety of traditional Italian dishes such as pizza, pasta, and desserts, all prepared with great care and expertise. Absolute love it. Me and my partner really enjoyed the traditional flavours and vibes of a authentic Italian restaurant/pizzeria. Great people Great prices Amazing food! What more else you can really ask for?!
G. K — Google review
Casual Italian Restaurant The food tasted good. I love the unique smokey flavour of the pizza. The crust of the pizza was thin, not chewy. Tomato sauce of the pasta didn't taste sugary. You know, tomato sauce normally has more added sugar than we expected. The tiramisu tasted amazing. So airy and creamy, not too sweet at the same time. Reminds me of the tiramisu of Signorelli's Deli. It looks like a restaurant with history, as it looks so rustic. But still, everything was clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly to customers. I will return to try other pasta and pizza. And more tiramisu.
Pui L — Google review
Came in for an early Valentine’s meal with my partner and OH MY this is the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to!! Very reasonably priced, incredibly fresh and tasty pasta dishes, beautiful homemade tiramisu, lovely atmosphere and SUPER friendly staff! It was our first time visiting and it won’t be our last, I can’t think of a single thing to fault this place. We shared a lovely bottle of Italian red wine but would love to come back to try all the different and wonderful negronis they have to offer. The waiter serving us had a smile at all times and was so friendly, and even put our limoncello on the house. Was a perfect choice for our date night and super happy we’ve found another amazing gem on Mill Road. Skip booking the chain restaurants that charge a fortune for food made with little love when you have a genuine family owned restaurant that does everything miles better!

Had a lovely meal, our go to for special occasions. Authentic Italian with amazing service, made even better by being introduced to Bruno. The ragu and pig cheek as well as the dirty bread were the star of the show. As locals we always recommend this place lovely decor inside too. Always friendly.

Had an amazing experience with a large group, even after surprising them with no reservation and walking in right after they opened. We needed food, and drinks, and fast, all on a deadline before our good friends wedding festivities were kicking off with a welcome party later that eve. Maurizio was super kind, took charge, and offered to order for the table. The amount of food was perfect, the wine was on point, and most of all we had an incredible time overall! Would definitely head back here in a heartbeat, the food was excellent but the service was the best part and made for a super memorable evening and highlight of the trip!

Excellent high-quality Guatemalan beans are used for the best coffee in Cambridge. Owner Engin is a celeb local shop owner who makes anyone who walk thru his door feel at home and relaxed. Music is always high-brow world music lounge. Espresso Lane is a Cambridge jewel. And if you're a regular, it's a 2nd home. Oh, the coffee and food is just like home, but even better. It's the best coffee in Cambridge. Don't believe me - try it. And order a toastie or a risotto while you're at it.
Tatiana V — Google review
At the heart of historic Cambridge but the on a tranquil small lane from the bustling throngs with a beautiful view of the church (and magnolia). Homemade food look amazing (Moroccan lamb stew and mocha brownie?!). Will come back to try them next time! And the items will rotate and change. Macchiato is pretty good. Topped with lovingly steamed foam. Despite the mixed reviews, the espresso today is pretty balanced. Strong, with a fresh acidity and not bitter at all.
X — Google review
Best (and cheapest) coffee bar in Cambridge. Relaxed, informal atmosphere. The owner Engin is a stand-up guy. The food is top-notch, handmade, and comforting stuff. Perfect café to spend a couple hours unwinding. The regulars (and owner) are hilarious, so don't go if you're trying to study! (or go if you're procrastinating). Will miss this place when I leave.

I love Espresso Lane! If you want coffee in Cambridge, you MUST go here. It’s the best coffee shop far and away. Some background: I was a graduate student at Cambridge from 2016/2017, and this coffee shop was always a sanctuary in between classes or whenever I was feeling down from the cold rainy weather. Everything about this place is special, starting with the owner. He gets to know you, makes you smile, and really offers a true, intimate customer service that is missing at most coffee shops these days. His banter is also hilarious and he really makes you feel completely at home and comfortable. Something special about him! Then, the coffee — some of the best I’ve had anywhere in the world. And super affordable… fantastic value. The ambience is also so nice as the coffee shop is off the bustling main streets and makes for a quiet sipping inside or outside. Yet still centrally located! I’m writing this review after being back in Cambridge 7 years later… and this place was my first stop! Perhaps that’s the takeaway and says all you need to know — can’t recommend Espresso Lane enough. -Alex Russell

As an avid Harry Potter fan this place is great, has everything you could ever need! Amazing treats as well as collectible items. The only thing I’d say is the staff can sometimes feel a little unwelcoming, the first time we went in it felt a little awkward and the staff just kind of looked at us like an inconvenience but the second time a lovely girl was behind the till and was very welcoming so maybe we caught them on a bad day! I also own a pair of camo cargo jeans i got here for £30, though it is a bit expensive here (average pricing can be around £18-£40 for clothes), its still worth having a look at as the clothes i bought from this shop are quite nice quality. Practically most of my wardrobe is purchased from here, lol. Definitely worth a visit :)

Great vibes in this shop. I follow them on Instagram and a while back they didn't have the band t-shirt I wanted. Fast forward a few months, they got some back in and took the time to message me directly and let me know they had my size and held it for me. A⭐ customer service.

The Cambridge Gift Shop offers a wide selection of quality souvenirs and memorabilia, including items specific to Cambridge and England. The store is beautifully displayed, making it easy to find the perfect gift or keepsake. Visitors can expect friendly and helpful staff who are knowledgeable about the products available. While the shop may be on the pricier side for some items, it's worth a visit for its unique offerings.
Lovely little gift shop in Cambridge with a fantastic selection of high-quality products. The items feel unique and well-made, perfect for souvenirs or special gifts. While some of the prices are a bit on the higher side, the quality and charm make it worth it for something truly special. The shop is beautifully laid out, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

A good range of souvenirs for Cambridge, although much of their stock is more "English" generally, which is somewhat tacky. Lots of great cards available, and at reasonable prices. Polite service. Convenient location for an unplanned visit.
Pedalwerk B — Google review
The lady working here is so sweet and nice❤️ she gave us a 10% discount for students! thank you!!

Great range of quality souvenirs and Cambridge / general England memorabilia to choose from. Beautifully displayed. Bought a few things from here including a nice scarf that I'll wear for the rest of my UK trip. Accidentally missed picking up my fridge magnet from the counter when leaving, but the staff member was kind enough to run it to me before I'd walked too far down the road!
Alana G — Google review
A charming little gift shop nestled amongst the Cambridge University colleges, also stocking their official university clothing too at a very reasonable price. Be warned though, as it’s an attraction for British and foreign tourists alike, it can get super busy in there as it’s not very big. The ladies on the tills were super friendly.
Kathryn H — Google review
Lovely little gift shop in a gorgeous area of Cambridge.
Anita W — Google review
Great gift store with very large variety of products and gifts on offer. Much better than a run of the mill gift store you may see in London, they had quality and cute products. The staff were very friendly and had good suggestions and were able to help find an item we were looking for. In the nature of thibgs, quite an expensive store for some of the products.

Parade sells gifts for friends and tourists, with good prices. It's a great place to find souvenirs from your trip.
Lots to see and do and places to sit quietly to admire. Best not to be in a rush as it can be difficult to navigate among the throng of people and cyclists admiring the church and tower, colleges, restaurants, gift shops and so much more. Take your time to sit and stare, listening to the atmosphere surrounding you ( and occasionally church bells). ⛪🍲📚 🧥🍦📷🎩🏅🎶

I grew up in Cambridge and lived there for over 25 years. Now living in Australia we return to visit family and friends. I like to buy souvenirs for friends in Aus when we travel. Not here though. We missed the little hand written sign pictured as I took my tired toddler in his compact travel pram into this shop looking to buy gifts. I was quickly approached by an angry little man telling me I can’t bring that in here. I asked why is that, he frog marched me and my 18 month son out of the door pointing at his little sign he had made. It was embarrassing, he made us feel like criminals. Disgusting behaviour and embarrassing to show my wife this is how people behave here.
David M — Google review
The male staff member was extremely rude. I went into the shop with my child to look for souvenirs, and as soon as he saw my child pick up an item to have a look, he immediately rushed out to stop her. Even though it was something that wouldn’t break if dropped, he still didn’t allow it. His words were very unfriendly. For a souvenir shop located in a tourist area to treat customers this way is simply outrageous. Charging out and scolding children like that will only frighten them. I absolutely do not recommend tourists to visit this shop.
Vivian L — Google review
My family and I had a disappointing experience at this shop. The owner was quite unfriendly and made our visit uncomfortable. When we entered with a stroller, he quickly pointed out a small handwritten note on the door about the stroller policy. My toddler had just gotten out of the stroller, and the owner told us he wasn't allowed in because of his age. This upset my son, and we left immediately. I would recommend exploring other souvenir shops in the area that may provide a more welcoming atmosphere.
Abdul R — Google review
First ever “private gift shop” where the owner gave discount for students. 10% doesn’t sound like much, but for us it’s a very nice gesture.
Panayu I — Google review
When I visited this shop, I saw the owner speaking in a very unfriendly manner to a customer with a child. The behavior towards the child was harsh and made the experience uncomfortable. I hope the shop can improve its service attitude.
ZHENKAI Y — Google review
I wish I could give 0 stores, had to leave the store because the owner was rude to the children even if they are not touching anything. Worse person ever...
Marta F — Google review
Rude, low educated, yelling, maybe for some reasons government could not ban him due to his status. In total, not a place for living, visiting. For your personal interests, don’t be brave to be there. Not even in front of the door. Barking happens

Nestled in the heart of Cambridge, Nomads has been a beloved independent shop since its inception in 1978. This enchanting store is like stepping into an Aladdin's cave, brimming with exquisite handmade textiles, unique furnishings, and fascinating artifacts sourced from around the globe. With a diverse selection that includes hand-painted Tibetan boxes, stunning crystals and gemstones, singing bowls, and delightful Christmas cards, there's truly something for everyone.
Curiosity, browsing and wanted to spend on something is what got me into this shop. I did find my something and a cool cotton top for my son. I also loved the items on sale that supports handicraft whether local or overseas and made of sustainable materials. I was most impressed by the recycled paper bag my items were bagged in. Yeah, will b back to shop there .
Tollets T — Google review
I was dissapointed with my visit here, the shop was full of cultural and religious items without understanding of their significance. It is disrespectful to display and sell Hindu and Buddhist items as decorative pieces. On top of this, the staff was rude and hostile, I felt wholly unwelcome in the shop.
Diya S — Google review
Super shop! Also Esme and Beth helped me on a phone transaction for some beautiful Tibetan recycled shawls for my meditation group. Thank you Nomads!
Mark D — Google review
I only discovered this place quite recently, but each time I go there I want to buy the entire shop! I specifically go for crystals and I can genuinely tell they’re authentic and each piece is magical, and they’re always different too! Aside for that, the shop has this wonderful energy which makes me feel so at peace just by entering! I recommend this shop to everyone. I see a lot of people saying it’s pricey, and to be perfectly honest I think the prices in Nomads are really really good, especially for the great quality of the products you get
Evelyn ( — Google review
The first time I bought something at Nomads was to celebrate passing first-year exams... that was last millennium. I've loved this place ever since - timeless jewellery, stunning gemstones, truly lovely fabrics. Definitely the best shop in Cambridge.
Antonia R — Google review
Best shop in Cambridge !!! Aladdin's cave of wonderful delights. Beautiful & unique wares - clothing, jewellery, gifts , rugs, cushions and bedspreads. Also does the best range of incense. Fin and the girls always welcoming & friendly. This shop is a must if you're visiting Cambridge
Hilary H — Google review
This is a wonderful shop. OK, a little more pricey than other gift shops but there is something in the old comment that you get what you pay for. The quality of objects on sale at Nomads is far above that of the normal tourist tat which is so often seen in establishments selling so-called 'ethic' goods. Was very sad to hear about the fire and I really hope the owner finds a way out of his problems and Nomads comes back like the proverbial phoenix!
Mrinalini S — Google review
Such an beautiful shop, filled with amazing hand made gifts from around the globe. Block printed textiles, hand embroidered bags from Gujarat, brass, pottery, bedding and a huge selection of jewellery. All helping to keep traditional crafts alive and the people and families who make them. Staff are lovely and laid back.

The store has gained a reputation for its quirky and fun collections, including handmade toys, home furnishings, seasonal items, and greetings cards. Originally established on Norfolk Street in 2001, Podarok expanded to St. Mary's Passage before settling down in Peas Hill.
Love this little indie shop, packed to the rafters with really gorgeous and interesting gift ideas. It’s just the sort of place that makes shopping on the high street fun!

Amazing shop and deserves the credit everyone gives it! The items are beautiful and great quality and the way the store is set out is beautiful! If you are coming to cambridge, definitely visit this shop for presents or for a treat!

Lovely shop, amazing staff. Prices just like in the online shopping web pages of the brands they manage. A must in Cambridge.

Visited last week for the first time and absolutely loved it! As an avid unique bag collector this shop was a total dream! Left with a fun bag and ended up ordering another one online shortly after!

Amazing service, ordered a Pride and Prejudice cross-body bag via the website on Tuesday 30th Jan, it arrived on Wednesday 31st. Love the little touches of a handwritten thank-you note and the chupa chub lolly (bag is for my daughter for her birthday so the lolly has been wrapped up with it. I will definitely be looking what else the company has to offer.
Alison W — Google review
Brilliant selection of beautiful, fun and quality gifts. I bought a few things for myself as well as doing my Christmas shopping... The customer service ordering online was amazing - I was in the middle of moving house and they made sure to hold everything and send it out once I'd moved. They also included a lovely note explaining how they'd discreetly marked each wrapped item in case I wanted to keep them wrapped, so I would know which was which. Above and beyond - still my favourite shop in Cambridge, even when I can't go in and browse in person.
SOOPERPOOK — Google review
Ordered via the website. Used the chat box, as I had a query, and was assisted brilliantly. Items arrived quickly and were beautifully wrapped. All the times I've been in the shop, it's been a joyful experience. Highly recommend in person or online.

If you go to Cambridge, this is definitely a store you should visit. They have very sweet products.

The refund policy was not made clear at the time of purchase. If you buy in store, they will only refund to a credit note. If you buy online, you can get a refund to your credit card as is normal with most highstreet shops. I bought a dress for my wife for her birthday and since she didn't like it and there were no other dresses she liked in store, I am now stuck with over £145 credit note. I made it clear I was buying a gift and may need to return if my wife didn't like the dress, but no one said I could only get a refund to a credit note if I bought in store.
Matthew P — Google review
I usually find shopping for clothes quite stressful but the women in the shop made it so easy. I needed a dress for my friend's wedding and I found the perfect one. They were so helpful and encouraging and even helped me to find shoes to go with it. They made me feel so comfortable. Thank you, thank you, thank you ❤️❤️❤️

The refund policy is not explained in store if you bring an item back only credit voucher given even if faulty. Cambridge store not helpful at all when. returning faulty goods. Cannot send e mail to company to complain. But the “owner” answered the phone straight away when the assistant called while calling in a separate room to say cannot give full refund on how paid …. Amazing… be warned

Lovely visit this week for a browse! Only my second time in a non-food shop since lockdown lifted. Felt very safe. Gorgeous jewellery, dresses, and gifts. Bought a book and greetings cards. Had a lovely chat with the shop assistant, Casey too. Will be popping in again soon I'm sure. Independents need our support now more than ever :-) :-) :-)

If you're on the hunt for unique treasures that are sure to turn heads, then Fantasia is a must-visit destination! This charming shop is brimming with character and vibrant colors, perfectly complementing the eclectic vibe of Mill Road. While it boasts an impressive collection of Japanese items, its allure extends far beyond that niche. Stepping inside feels like entering a whimsical museum where every piece tells a story—and you can take them home!
Can't tell you how much I love this incredible shop! If you love one-off pieces that people will stop you in the street to ask where you got them from, then you're going to love Fantasia. It's particularly strong on all things Japanese, but well worth a visit even if that's not particularly your thing. When you pop your head around the door it's like looking in a fascinating quirky museum, but one in which you can buy the exhibits! Highly recommended
Sarah D — Google review
Awful experience, very rude owner. When I came in and wanted to try some things on I was told to wait, I wasn’t offered to put all the items somewhere on the chair while I wait so I said “okay I’ll just hold them”, her reply was “Yeah just do that”. I was also ignored by her when I asked to get an item from window display, she clearly pretended she didn’t hear me. And still after all of this I was ready to buy a dress but when I asked about origins the reply was “I have no idea! China or Korea probably”. The whole experience and her last few comments completely put me off so I changed my mind last minute. Even to that she replied “yeah you go and have a really good think about this” in a very sarcastic manner. Long story short, I suggest you don’t go to this overpriced second hand shop if you don’t want to get rude customer service!
