Nice - pretty typical modern day cafe come cake shop. And while the Chelsea buns may have the same recipe, the way the sugar coating is done nowadays is just not what it was. Fairly average coffee too by modern day standards. Still 4 stars though because I am a picky so and so and you may well find coffee and buns are splendid!

I shared a few Chelsea buns with my friends, and they were every bit as good as their reputation. Although the café was busy, we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly we were served. We visited Fitzbillies on a busy Sunday afternoon — it was packed (as expected!) but we managed to get a table without too much waiting. The ordering system is done through your phone, which was convenient overall, though one of the hot drinks was a bit tricky to find on the menu. Of course, we had to try the famous Chelsea bun, and it didn’t disappoint — beautifully sticky, sweet, and rich. They even provided extra golden syrup to pour on top, which was a nice touch. The cappuccino looked great and was well presented, though it could’ve had a bit more depth of flavour. We also had a savoury snack of whipped feta and chickpeas, this was nice but 4 crackers was not enough. The staff were friendly and attentive, even with how busy it was. Overall, a good experience and definitely worth a visit if you’re in Cambridge — especially for the Chelsea bun!

Came here to check out the iconic Chelsea buns. They were great and lived up to its expectations. Others may find it too sweet for them, but I think it’s a matter of preference and I can appreciate it! We then saw they did afternoon tea, so we tried it: Sandwiches were poor and lacked flavour. Scones were huge (easy split 1 between the 3 of us), and the jam was great. Red velvet cake was amazing. Others were average. Service was really friendly but completely disorganised. Asked for water but never came (mistakes happen, so it’s ok). But while a male waiter was bringing in loads of fresh cutlery, he kept lobbing it in their containers and was constantly making ridiculous amounts of noise. No music was playing and generally the cafe was extremely noisy, given that it wasn’t very busy. Atmosphere was nonexistent. I recommend purchasing your Chelsea buns (as they are worth it) from the bakery beside to takeaway and avoid the cafe. You are not missing much. Value is also on the high side for the quality.

After reading many articles mentioning the Chelsea bun is a must have in Cambridge, I was determined to try it before leaving town. I bought some as take away. When I took a bite into the bun moments later, I was utterly disappointed. It was dry and nothing extraordinary. I am not sure what all the hype is about. It was way below my expectations. Only saving grace was the friendly staff I encountered.

We honestly do not understand how this chain can be so busy, since their flagship pastry is a bun with disappointing hints of whatever flavour they promise. We would not be trying this again. It might be catering for the English palette. The interior design is as dull as they come. The only positive is the generally friendly staff.

This small, Portuguese-influenced bakery has some unusual offerings. Liked the coconut macrons, danish pastries, while the fruited bun was slightly too dry. The Portuguese tarts should be interesting. Updated with savoury vegetarian pastries, also good. Prices a slightly lower than most other bakeries, and service is always friendly.

Lovely little bakery, with so many sweet treats! My tuna melt sandwich was also delicious. Reasonably priced and will definitely return!

Great little bakery. I bought a superb granary loaf. Was relieved that there was none of the usual sourdough this and sourdough that. Lots of interesting savoury pies. We had a delicious prawn rissole. Coffee was just a tad bitter. Check out the interesting Mill Road cemetery a few houses down the road and to the left.

I’ve been coming here for a while now with my girlfriend and dog and I have been so happy everytime. The bread is wonderful and the sandwich and soup meal deal is fantastic. It’s super close to the house and the people working there are super sweet. I can’t buy baked goods from anywhere else without comparing them to this place. I hope they make more dark chocolate pistachio cake soon!

The cakes and other baked goods here are the best in Cambridge. Great service too. When I visited they had a small art exhibition there also which was great. There is also a small deli section where you can find some other jams, honey, specialist tinned goods , oils etc to take home. 5/5.

Used the bakery for some office catering and it was all delicious! Very understanding of dietary requirements, excellent communication and lots of yummy food! Would highly recommend!

I ordered a cake box consisting of 20 different cakes. It was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. The lady taking my order was very friendly.

Really nice food and the coffee was great. It was very busy so be warned you might have to wait a few for a table but we got a seat at the bar which was perfect! More on the pricey side but worth it as it’s hard to find a good breakfast spot like this!

Lovely spot for coffee, brunch, or a sweet treat. Stopped by for brunch with a friend and we tried both the Turkish Eggs and the Vegetarian Focaccia - both hit the spot and were surprisingly filling! There’s also a great selection of bakery items if you’re just after something lighter with your coffee. Service was warm and friendly. Prices are admittedly on the higher side, but seem in line with most other comparable brunch spots in Cambridge. The cosy atmosphere inside and pleasant outdoor seating (weather permitting) also make it well worth a visit!

A bit disappointed that the Winter Hash did not come with salsa verde or crispy kale that the menu suggested. If items were switched out, customers should be informed. It was just a plate of roasted root vegetables with no sauce? I ended up just adding salt and pepper but only ate a few bites and the egg. I also order the Winter Bowl instead of the hash but I think there was a mix up.

What a hidden gem! The coffee was really good for those who are coffee connoisseurs. The pastries was delicious and though I didn't try the food it looked very nice I'm sad I only found here on my last day in Cambridge! It was very busy around brunch time but I guess thats because of how popular it is. The place is professional and has a very nice vibe. Definitely worth going and trying.

I have been into Stir on Chesterton Rd, Cambridge for a coffee and pastry, always good coffee and food at a good price. Service is always good and staff are very nice and friendly….. I have also found Olga very welcoming and friendly and always greets with a smile very welcoming, I can recommend Stir for service, atmosphere and great coffee and food.

I loved this place because of the atmosphere, it was so family-friendly, especially for children, but they changed the waiters and the service became terrible. I've never been treated so badly by a waitress in a place. I just wanted to spend some time out with a friend and in the end I really felt bad about it.

Really cute place with great service! Very friendly staff. The coffee was really good, they have vegan milk alternatives. Pastries were great too, and they have sitting area outside where you can enjoy the view of the busy street.

Delicious stuff. Highly highly recommend the caramelised banana Danish. We don't get enough banana based pastries and desserts in the UK and it's a shame. This one is worth trying. Also had the Crumble plum Danish and it was very good. Pastry is perfectly flakey and buttery with a nice crunch.

I have absolutely no complaints about this bakery. The pastries and drinks are lovely, and the owners and baristas are super friendly ☺️. Although small, it creates a cozy atmosphere - and a very good study spot! I would definitely recommend foreigners to visit this bakery at least once if you ever find yourself in Cambridge.

I have been coming to Cambridge Oven for the last few weeks now and I've always been welcomed with smiling faces. Coffee is delicious each time and price for it is lower than other places I've been to. Pastries are delicious and the smell of them is delightful. Overall atmosphere is great and cosy. I recommend this place wholeheartedly.

Ham and Cheese Croissant is the best! Runny cheese filling with a crispy cheese topping. It's the best savoury croissant I have had in Cambridge. Absolutely tasty. Have tried other items in the bakery already, but always come back for this ham and cheese croissant. It's so popular that often sold out very early. Had to get up really early if you want to have one. Hope that Cambridge Oven will produce more of it.

The Bombay and the surfin toasties were both unique and delicious. Friendly service. Cup of long black wasn’t to my taste but that’s only because I prefer darker roasts over fruity.

Small place, no room for the buggy so I had to sit outside which was still tight with the buggy blocking the door. Barista barely looked at me and I felt like I was in her way. Coffee flavour was nice but the latte I ordered came in a very small cup (maybe 4 oz?) which felt like a rip off given it was full priced. Almond croissant was okay.

The most delicious cheesiest toasties here! I loved the Reuben with pastrami, kimchi, cheese and Korean spice mayo. Top quality sourdough from local bakery Grain Culture.

Urban Larder in Cambridge is easily one of my preferred cafes. Their coffee is absolutely delightful, and I'm a fan of their delectable homemade bakery and pastries. Pretty unassuming from the outside but my GOD the coffee here is fantastic !! You have to try mixed nut brownie. A bonus is the staff are LOVELY!❤️❤️❤️

Fantastic little cafe with a great atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious snacks and drinks and out of this world toasties. The cafe is quite small with not many seats inside. There is some outside seating which is nice on a sunny day. The coffee is really good, well balanced and the brownies and cakes on offer are amazing. Toasties are amazing. Literally no other word for them. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.

A lovely smile to welcome us on a sunny afternoon at this light and airy, basic, rustic Mill Road cafe. We sat outside in the sunshine at one of their little tables watching the world good by whilst enjoying a flavoursome latte (excellent, would recommend) a chai latte a toasty and a crumble slice. All very tasty. Great find.

Definitely recommend! I wish we could eat breakfast here every day. All the pastries are wonderful both savoury and sweet! The orange and almond cookie was also wonderful. What a treat the square sausage bap is! Prices on the higher side but that’s life now and I guess the challenge is not to be tempted by everything on show. Good coffee! Clean facilities. Appeared to get very busy.

Lovely place, with a nice atmosphere. Some of the food seemed a bit pricey but they offer good quality products, including the hot chocolate! They had handcraft icecream and sorbets!

We stopped in here to get some cinnamon buns for breakfast. We told the waitress that we had a daughter with a nut allergy and asked if the food was suitable. She said yes. No worries. My daughter had an allergic reaction to the bun immediately upon eating a bite. When we went back to tell the waitress she said 'oh, I thought you were telling me that you didn't have an allergy ' As if anyone would say that!! The staff need better training. Thankfully this reaction was not life threatening, but they need to take this seriously. All staff should be trained properly.

We absolutely love this bakery, it’s the best in Cambridge, it’s a little further outside of the centre, but it’s well worth the visit. The selection of pastries changes daily, the breads are so fluffy and flavoursome, well made coffee, three types of hot chocolate -all made with REAL chocolate!! What more could you ask for? This place is a hidden gem, make sure you go early as things sell out fast! We love how you can get a regular great pastry like a croissant but then you can also get something you’ve never tried before, they do little fancy desserts, home made chocolates and the best macaroons outside of France ! Staff are friendly and everything is reasonably price! Only wish they would extend into one of the other surrounding units and do all day food, I know that would be just as good! Really nice pastry. Ordered the fruit and frangipane and the custard and fruit. Very nice and crispy and fresh. Had to get a mint and chocolate macaroon too. It was tasty. Most of the pastries were gone by 3pm, so not much choice left. I went earlier and they were busy in the morning. Ordered the cinnamon bun which was a bit dense and a white hot chocolate - it was too sweet. The Hokkaido milk bread was soft but it was for western palette rather than authentic Japanese milk bread.

Dulcedo is a great patisserie! They have all sorts of products; from different types of amazing bread to delicious pastries and sandwiches made with loads of care. I don't drink coffee, so I always have a matcha latte that is delicious! Lately they have started making their own chocolates and chocolate bars, that look very nice!! (See photos attached)

Very nice patisseries and viennoiseries (and I'm French, so high standards haha)! Everything is super tasty! Hot drinks are only okay though... (matcha tastes very diluted, coffee is very meh so maybe not pure arabica and also maybe too roasted and not the best quality of milk 😕) Which is a shame because there is a very big chance you will get one with the kind of food sold there... It is often very busy so be prepared to queue. Staff is friendly!

Some kind of hairs on the bottom of the tart, not cooled sugar shards but some kind of fibrous hair, when you pull it you can tell easily. Also some kind of green perhaps mould or cross contamination, not sure. Very disappointed, in fact, disgusted. Service is hit and miss, but atmosphere is generally fine.

Regular customer for hearty bread and early morning breakfasts~ The almond croissant is layered with buttery crust on top and has the largest amount of tasty stuffing in all the croissants I had :) Even though the pastry has got quite cold in the early winter morning, it is still irresistible. (I’ll surely get fat if I come too often.) The pain au chocolat and pear tart are also good, and of course you can trust their bread. The flat white yesterday, however, was too bitter… (The beans might be on the very deeply roasted side, and over extraction perhaps?) Today’s Latte is alright. (Originally recommended by my high school roommate’s friend in Cambridge.)

Just like being in Paris, only in Cambridgeshire. ALWAYS good, with a side of attitude....and you'll meet folks and chat in the queue. Oh....dogs aren't allowed inside, so there are hooks at the front window (so not quite Paris, alas) Make sure to ask them to only put a few items in each paper bag. Bought 10 croissants yesterday, and I didn't notice that 8 had gone into one paper bag. Not good enough. They came out of the bag as PRESSED croissants. Lovely if you were looking for an abstract shape, but really I just wanted the standard light and fluffy type rather than the road kill look.

My first visit and although the French pastry was very nice it will be my last visit too. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Staff member who served me was at best unhelpful at worst rude.

Not a particularly welcoming place, pain au chocolat with barely any chocolate (although the pastry was good) and the pain au raisin was rather better. Not a relaxing place to sit and I’m not a fan of someone sweeping the floor right next to me. All in all a bit disappointing.

We spent £40 on an afternoon tea for two and had to wait an hour until it arrived as they were understaffed. The portion sizes were very small, and the cakes looked unappetising and tasted equally bad. In general I’m someone who is easy to please and I don’t like complain, but after having spent £40 on this I feel obliged to warn others not to make the same mistake I did. The staff were very nice, but the food just was not good, took a very long time to arrive and the place itself felt grubby.

Ordered a themed cake from the website for delivery, unfortunately the cake arrived with every single “decoration” entirely broken - however the remains not in the box, meaning they were put on to the cake and sent out like that with no quality control. The reason for the order entirely being the decoration for a themed party I politely requested a refund and offered to send the cake back as it would not be used and I had to quickly source an alternative, This was ignored by the customer service team and I was instead issued a £10 voucher, which won’t be used as I won’t be ordering from them again.

Took my partner here for afternoon tea for her birthday. It was not too bad. Nothing that special really. Food was not too bad. Only liked 1 out of the 3 sandwiches. Still have no idea what was in 1. Could definitely do a better range. Scones was the best part. Overall it was good. Abit pricey for what you get really.

I cannot rate the service, I ordered a cake for delivery for my husband's birthday. The black forest gateau was absolutely divine. It was delivered In dry ice and well packed with no issues. The only major issue is that at the till online, I saw balloons (it was a very last minute impulse click to add them to the basket) and out of a box of 5 balloons, we managed to inflate 2, the other 3 just broke apart in our hands. They are clearly either very old or not stored properly. We didn't even bother opening the other boxes (we bought 3 boxes of5 ). I learned my lesson to only stick to cakes from this place

The croissants here are so flaky and delicious and very buttery, they tasted fresh as the where freshly made that morning, i highly recommend coming here for something savoury or something sweet it caters to all tastes! The staff are incredibly friendly and there was no queue when entering. I highly recommend this little bakery when you’re next in Cambridge.

Had the best Afternoon Tea, we decided to make a day of it and come up to Cambridge. The quality of the food was fantastic, freshly made sandwiches, scones and cakes - absolutely faultless! Drinks were included too and were lovely, this made the experience a really joyful one. Staff were excellent, always very helpful and the service was efficient. Would definitely recommend, we had such a lovely day!

Wonderful experience: Got taken here as a birthday surprise by my friends. To my delight the staff were aware it was my birthday, and greeted me with a birthday song and a plate full of goodies. There was a good variety of everything from sandwiches to cakes. Tea, coffee or soft drinks are available in a good variety. There was nothing that was too much trouble for the staff. Would recommend this place to anyone who would love a difference in a treat. Thank you all lovely staff - and of course my two lovely friends!

This is the best place in Cambridge for coffee and brunch. It’s absolutely knockout in terms of quality and choices. Thoroughly enjoyed the granola and Turkish eggs. The coffees are exceptional and retail bags well-priced. Great atmosphere and slick service. When it’s busy it can be noisy, but I only notice that because I’m usually solo.

The barista was very helpful in explaining what was and wasn’t vegan. Just wish there were some vegan pastries but generally catered very well with many veggie options on the menu. I had the cold brew with it milk and the vegan bacon sandwich which was good if a little stingy on the bacon.

Moved into the area a few days ago. I’m not sure if it was my accent, but I was overcharged, and sausage was completely forgotten on a take away order. Pancakes were subpar, and everything was underwhelming. That’s a 4 minute walk from takeaway to kitchen table. That 6 oz listed on their menu is at 3.70, I was charged 4.70 for an oat milk latte at 6oz. The sausages, I am now re-cooking as they hastily just charred the sides but the middle was cold. Adding an extra sausage is a nice “sorry”, but having to go home and re-heat via toaster oven, speaks for itself. Not much attention to detail when taking my order, overcharging negligently or on purpose, not cooking things adequately. Maybe dining in would be different, but don’t get take away from here.

5 for music at night 4.5 as a daytime cafe It is indeed more crowded than the one near Judge Business School. A little too loud and cramped. Coffee tastes better this time than the other store on average. Nutty, balanced latte.

This used to be my go-to spot — great vibe, respectful crowd, and I always made sure to leave before the morning rush. But it’s taken a real turn. The new laptop policy is enforced rigidly even when the place is nearly empty, and the staff — especially senior ones — now feel more like gatekeepers than hosts. The atmosphere has lost its warmth, the coffee isn’t what it used to be, and prices have gone up without the quality to justify it. What makes it harder is that this place once meant a lot — it was a welcoming space where I felt at ease, and even made some lasting connections. It’s disheartening to see it lose that soul, seemingly in pursuit of a few more sales.

Charming little cafe with delightful staff who remember their regulars. Really good gluten free options, good knowledge of allergen safety. Also has vegan options. Great for toasted sandwiches, coffee, slice/cake and soups. My favourite cafe in Cambridge.

In an alleyway, next to King’s college we found this lovely coffee house ( admittedly with the help of ChatGPT). We had requested a place which served good food and coffee. We are so pleased this turned out to be our lunch spot today. Our expectations were sufficiently met as we order ciabatta and soup- both delicious, as was the coffee. This is topped with a friendly and swift service. We will definitely come back.

I walked in and asked for a basic cheese sandwich for my grandson, and a seat "yes yes yes" the delightful lady replied. She then asked him if he wanted butter 'ni thank you ' and cucumber ' yes please! What a gem to find after a wonderful but very hot day in Cambridge. Thank you so much for exactly what was needed. The menu looked delicious and the service was exemplary, I highly recommend this lovely cafe.

Awesome little coffee house. Salmon and egg panini is tasty. Coffee is fantastic. Amazing location if you're into books and the cradle of the English Reformation.

We've been this morning to enjoy a coffee and a panini and we were absolutely impressed! The coffee was delicious and the bacon, cheese and tomato paninis just extraordinary!, super fresh and top quality ingredients, you can tell this is a place where everything is made with care and kindness, the service was amazing too! Found this place by accident on a stopover in Cambridge, staff very friendly, food and coffees very good. Upstairs seating area small but cosy. If we are there again would definitely return.

Nice, friendly cafe with a nice menu and great coffee. The service is nice and friendly here, table service, even outside, which seemed a bit odd but I guess the way they do it. Things are a bit on the expensive side but good quality. Coffee was fine, not amazing but pretty good. Great for larger groups due to the seating outside. Excellent for summer too.

Friendly service, nice space design, music and overall aesthetic experience and early opening hours give this place its 3 stars. The food itself was rather disappointing. At 10GBP for two slices of bread with a very thin film of avocado spread I d expect my poached eggs to be poached and not hardboiled. Come one guys! You can do better than that!!!

Spacious cafe with breakfast served until noon. Very busy with waiting queue on a Sunday morning. Espresso Library is a modern cafe, serving coffee and food. Popular with young people catching up with their fellows. With floor-to-ceiling windows and white walls, it is well lit and bright, giving a modern and clean vibe. At least 20 indoors tables available. Outdoor seating available. Coffee quality may be variable. Last time I visited it was top-notch, this time it was quite burnt and bitter. Food was average.

Modern / hipster vibe with welcoming staffs. I really wanted to like this place but It’s shame that I just didn’t like the pancake - it’s not usual pancakes made from flour and not sweet at all - would have been nice if this was described on the menu (the menu is rather simple so would recommend to ask the staff for the details). Coffee was too sour for my taste.

This was really disappointing, I got coffee and pancakes. The coffee was good but I had to go and ask for a spoon and sugar. The pancakes where very stodgy and poorly described on menu. I'm not sure what was on them, yoghurt maybe but it wasn't very nice. They also have no WiFi.

Really nice place for brunch. Bright, airy and high ceilings. Service was quick and attentive. Really enjoyed the avocado toast with salmon and capers, very flavorful so you can tell the ingredients are good quality. Chemex drip coffee and chocolate Tiffin was good as well.

Lovely cafe run by a couple who are extremely sweet and polite. Great savoury and sweet options available. Pogaca was delicious. The Turkish coffee with Turkish delight was wonderful. But the baklava cheesecake takes the cake to wrap up a delightful sunny Sunday morning. The tables are designed in a rustic fashion. Please do visit. It was a brilliant experience.

Great little place offering Turkish breakfast options and it is walking distance to city centre. We have tried their blue sage special breakfast which was a great interpretation of a traditional Turkish breakfast. Everything we got on the plate was delicious and fresh. The bread that was served with the breakfast was also very tasty. The service was very kind and friendly as well, would definitely visit again.

Great little cafe with friendly and efficient service. Lots of lovely food options. We tried two of the breakfast options: quick prep and very good with perfect portion size. Good value for money. Accepts credit/debit card payments: Amex, Mastercard and Visa. Parking may be an issue, it is situated on a street with many other shops and restaurants, we had to find a side street. The cafe is also quite small - it was quite busy so we were lucky to get the last table.

I got 2 fried eggs on toast which wasn’t on the menu but the waiters were very accommodating. The bread was super thick and fluffy - very delicious! Right on the waterfront too, if you’re looking for a nice view. I probably won’t return since the menu was very limited, but if you find something you like on the menu, I recommend going!

Best eggs in Cambridge. Lovely staff who also had no trouble adapting menu for the kids with cheese and ham toasties which I found really sweet. They truly do simple dishes to perfection.

I had a great visit to Foy Cafe! The sourdough tasted incredibly fresh, and the overall quality definitely stood out. I was impressed that the order was delivered in just 15 minutes. Super convenient, encountering how busy they are. The highlight is definitely the location, right in front of the river, offering beautiful views that make the whole experience even more relaxing. On top of that, the waitress was extremely friendly and welcoming, always smiling and ready to help. It really made the visit feel warm and pleasant. Highly recommend for a casual bite with a view!

Great pizza spot in Cambridge — can’t wait to try brunch! Scott’s All Day is a fun and relaxed spot in Cambridge serving both brunch and pizzas, including Detroit-style and Neapolitan-style. We started with the cheesy garlic bread, which was exactly what you'd want — super cheesy, full of flavour, and the bread itself was amazing. It was my first time trying Detroit-style pizza, so we went for the honey and chorizo crumble. The pizza was rich, perfectly salty, and had a great crust. I wasn’t totally sold on the honey combination, but that’s more personal taste — the overall flavour was still solid. Good value for the quality, and the pizza really hits the spot. Definitely planning to come back to try their brunch menu next time!

The child suggested we come here for lunch and it did not disappoint! Really lovely venue with very friendly staff and magnificent food! The child had the all day breakfast and I had the sausage and egg muffin and both were incredibly tasty, especially the potatoes!! Really enjoyed our visit and wouldn’t hesitate to come back again 👌

Came for the pizza. Stayed for the burger. Had a friend over to visit and were looking for a good lunch spot and Scott's immediately came to mind covering all bases. Great food, good location, dog friendly and kids menu. Winner. Had pizza in mind but when we turned up I saw the Oklahoma smashburger on the menu and had to try it, and so glad I did. Very very good. Happy faces all round the table and great to see these guys so busy and so well supported by the local community and beyond. Definitely recommended.

We ordered a christening cake from here. They made a beautiful cake with custom-made decorations. Even though it was 3 tiers it withstood a 30ish minutes trip down the A road to the celebration, and everyone was extremely impressed by both the design and the delicious flavour. People just kept wanting to know where we'd found such a brilliant cake! It was perfect!

Went for a solo trip to Cambridge and luckily passed by this lovely bakery! Had to stop and take picture then got myself some egg tart and it was so so so good! Perfect for a very breezy and cold weather partnered with my morning mocha! And the presentation, omg! Will try more once I get back! 😍

A rather overrated spot. I recently visited this place after hearing much hype, but unfortunately found it quite overrated. While the taste and quality of the food and drinks are decent, they certainly don't justify the pricing — especially considering the nearly double cost difference between eat-in and takeaway options, which feels excessive. Queues were long and disorganised, adding to the underwhelming experience. One major issue was the takeaway cups: they offer very poor insulation and become far too hot to hold comfortably. It’s a small detail, but it genuinely affects the overall experience. All in all, not terrible, but far from living up to the buzz.

What an incredible find, all by chance ! Who would expect to find Portuguese snacks from a bakery called Norfolk Bakery in Cambridge ? It had famous Portuguese snacks, such as pasteis de nata and pasteis the bacalhau and a few rissois, all tasted authentic and at very reasonable prices. Even the charming serving young lady was from Oporto. There was a small area with tables at the back of the shop, but we took our snacks to have them in the adjacent Botanic Garden.

Best pastel de nata in town :D Creamy and generously sized. Apple tart and beef mushroom roll also tastes fabulous. One day I’ll try all the lovely baked goods. Flat white was alright, but it would be strange to eat pastries without sipping coffee. —- Stopped by for a nata to-go to ease the stress from the chaotic train disruptions. Perhaps there will be less trikes if everyone gets a nata from work…

I passed yesterday on the way to a meeting promising myself to pop in on the way back but knowing choice would be limited. Firstly it would help if the chap behind the counter wasn’t in such a rush but listened. I had to repeat my order three times as he was transfixed by two Japanese lads who were obviously unsure of what was on offer. I finally paid then walked to get my train only to find on sitting down that I did not have what I asked for. With no time to return I tucked into what I think I saw as Lamb Harissa, completely tasteless and devoid of flavour. Then a very dry fruit tart. Being in such a good position near the station I expect most of their trade is made up of passing trade.

Excellent service. Went on a Sunday afternoon so very quiet, food was excellent we had one vegan sharer and one meat sharer. The rose green tea was incredible. The restaurant is beautiful inside But the stand out was the service to us. The lady serving us who worked on Sunday 5th October (we arrived around 3.30pm). She is incredible and deserves a raise. Explained the teas to us, gave great recommendations, was patient as we all arrived at different times, even topped up our teas. Great value for money and interesting cocktails

Came to eat here after seeing many other positive reviews, especially for the vegetarian and vegan food- we were not disappointed! Every member of staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, helping us to decide how much food we needed and what to choose. We ended up having some delicious dim sum, including some of the most creative vegan dishes we’d ever had- all in a very interesting setting. It was very reasonably priced for the amount and variety of food we had- we left very full and happy!

It’s a gem of a place! We got the dim sum set, a tea and a drink and everything was perfect. Service was great too. We came on a Saturday morning for dim sum brunch and the place was empty, what a shame!

Excellent quality of food and service, a really unique place. Several different vegan (and non-veg) tasting menus for 2 people (starter, main, dessert), as well as a la carte menu. Also a great selection of drinks, including teas and rose coffee. Honestly so many options for vegans I could come back here again and again and not tire of the food (which the owner said they also switch up every now and again to keep it fresh and new!)

We had a wonderful lunch for five people at Liutaio - it was an absolute feast with a particularly varied range of vegetarian and vegan options. The staff were incredibly warm and thoughtful, from dish recommendations/guidance to regular water and tea refills. We could hardly walk afterwards we were so full, we definitely got our money's worth and we'll be back again soon. Very highly recommended.

Great food in a unique atmosphere. The restaurant is like no other. Inside are lots of different instruments and the decor is very unique and vintage. Gives an inviting feeling. The service is great, attentive and fast. Food is very good. Dishes were pretty good - pork and coriander dumplings were amazing. Would highly recommend those.

Amazing coffee and pastries! The pistachio flower with raspberry filling was divine. Not cheap though but the great quality and flavour were so worth it. Friendly staff and good service. The shop itself is super small so it may be a bit cramped inside for eating in.

I tried the pistachio tiramisu. It was good, but rather expensive. Was it the best I’ve had? Definitely not. Was it value for money? Not at all!

I've visited Modigliani many times and consistently enjoyed their food and coffee. Their Italian pastries and patisserie are exceptional, making it one of my go-to cafes on Mill Road. The customer service is always top-notch. I love their Pistachio Tiramisu, Italian Donuts, Pistachio Cakes, Coffee Beans etc. My only advice is to visit early in the morning, as their pastries tend to sell out quickly. 😅

Lovely bakery, but there are now so many in the area. The addition of sandwiches was a good move, but they had run out of several of them when I arrived. The service was ok, nothing spectacular but then you probably don't want that when you are just grabbing a sandwich. As it's a small cafe there isn't much atmosphere.

The delightful contemporary Turkish patisserie and cafe on Mill Road I visit the shop yesterday after passing it by many time. I picked a slide of Oreo chocolate cake 🍰 and absolutely loved it. It was yummy !!! All the cakes in this shop look very delicious. A staff is super friendly and have great customer service mind. They have a wide variety of cakes, cookies and desserts etc. They also serve coffee, tea, juices and milkshakes. I highly recommended this place for those who love cakes and Turkish traditional desserts. I will have to come back and try other cakes 🎂 Such a nice place!! I love supporting local businesses.

Delicious desserts to go. I got the Red Velvet and Pistachio cake desserts. Fresh, great flavour and beautiful presentation. Friendly staff and efficient service. I travelled quite 150 miles to visit Cambridge and it was nice to have a pleasant treat for my journey back.

Popped in to buy baklava - £28 per kg, came home, weighed in at 190g, charged £9 instead of £5.30. Not impressed. Owners' response - 6 pieces are below 8 pieces threshold for charging by the kg, and each piece is charged at a flat rate of £1.50. This means that 6 cost £9, but 8 would have cost £7. However, this flexible pricing was not displayed anywhere near the baklavas, nor indicated as a better option during service...

I visited 5 Blend Coffee and the coffee was amazing. I had a latte and it was the best latte I ever had. They have 5 different blends and I tried number three which was really good. Mohammed the barista was very helpful and helped me choose the right blend for my taste. I will give 5 out of 5

They have 5 different coffee beans choices. Our favourite is the blue mountain blend. Really Quality coffee. Staff are all friendly. Also they have £1 coffee before 10am. They also have good Selections of cakes to choose from.

This is definitely my favourite coffee house in Cambridge. I enjoy all the blends on different occasions but my favourite is number 4 the blue mountain. The baristas are always friendly and will go above and beyond to make your experience exceptional. The only disappointment is they have stopped doing affogato during the summer. Those were phenomenal!

Starting with the bakery, the bread is overpriced and, unfortunately, doesn't taste good. It is very rubbery and stale, even of you buy it fresh. Difficult to chew or cut, especially after toasting it. And on top of that, if you cut the pice fir a toast most likely half of the toast will be missing. There is a massive air hole in the bread, so the bread is uneven. If you want one toasties in the morning you will have to use two pieces of bread. Honestly, the £1 bread from tesco in a plastic bag taste so much better without massive air holes in it. Don't recommend the stir Cafe as well. Food, frankly, doesn't worth the money you are spending on it. Why would you serve eggs benedict and avocado toast in a bowl? How am I supposed to cut it? With a spoon? The presentation looks like someone has given up on life and cooking a long time ago, just throw a raw spinach from a height into a ball and call it art. Better to eat at home or go somewhere else for a better food quality.

Incredibly inefficient service. On my first visit, they took over an hour to provide food. I came back a few months later and thought I would give them another chance, it took nearly 50 minutes before they served us. The food is okay, but definitely not worth the wait or cost.

Amazing rye sourdough. The wheat sourdough is also great. Very good croissants, pain au chocolates, cinnamon knots, muffins etc. My favourite is the giant cheese & jalapeño pretzel, though.

Go there practically every week to buy fresh bread and a pastry treat. The baked goods are always great with the added bonus of friendly, helpful staff

Having had a bit of a bad time recently, I’ve started treating myself and doing work at Stir and I always feel welcome here, staff are lovely and the coffee is delicious, slowly becoming a regular

We used to come here all the time for their seeded bread. Recently however the bread we brought home was completely burnt on the bottom. Returning to the bakery two more times since then and all the seeded loaves were clearly burnt even on top. When I brought it up with the person working she looked annoyed with me and just shrugged her shoulders. We also used to get a banana loaf and bring it home. It’s expensive but it was delicious. The last several times we have picked up the banana loaf it was completely stale when we opened it at home. So we had to toast it to even make it edible - not what you expect after paying £16 for a loaf! The croissants are not real croissants (no flakiness!) and the scones are incredibly dry. All in all, a so-so bakery that used to do bread really well, and now it doesn’t 😢

Lovely bakery, attached to the cafe next door. They have loads of breads, cakes and pastries available. Worth noting that they sometimes close early if they sell out, so make sure you get there in time!

Visited Cambridge at the weekend and came across the market where the Brown Bread stool is situated. I had two Almond Croissants, two traditional Pasty’s and two sausage rolls! With the plan to share with my husband. Amazing!! Can’t recommend this stool enough, I ate everything on the way home to london. Thanks chaps! Very impressed! X

Good cake for good value. I had been disappointed by some popular bakeries that had grainy frosting, roughly textured cake, and too much sweetness, but the red velvet slice from here pleasantly surprised me with the opposite. Foccacia and plum tart were also decent.

Excellent bread. I always buy my bread from the stall on Cambridge market, or sometimes St Ives. Best multi grain rye and German rye around.

They intentionally arrange the deserts as smaller pieces in front and won't let you take the large slice. What a disaster.

I stumbled across Earth's crust by chance, as I was originally on the lookout for a Greek Gyros food stall. There was an enticing selection of rustic looking bread on display as well as pastries and samosas at the front. Out of spontaneity, I bought a Chicken tika Samosa for £2, which I really enjoyed. It was one of the best samosas I've ever had, the pastry and fillings were tasty and fresh, it was fairly big samosa so really filling and good value for money. The guy running the stall was really friendly too so makes it worth a visit

The brownies are incredible- they do plain chocolate (80% cocoa) which has such a rich flavour and salted caramel, which is sweet but not too sweet. Perfectly gooey and only £2.50 each. Definitely going back!

Stopped for coffee here, considering the exorbitant price they charge for coffee I expected far better coffee than what was served to me. I also expected better service, no tray provided to carry the cups of coffee. Finally I would have liked the option to pay cash. I won't be visiting again.

It is a very busy gallery and cafe. Be prepared to queue for a few minutes. The food was of very good standard. We had the Spinach and feta pastry and some falafels. The Mocha was very velvety and smooth. There are blankets made available there which you can use on lovely winter afternoon. If you'd like a quick coffee and snack when you are around in the town centre in Cambridge this is the best place to go. There is no table service. It is located in a little lane off the street. Cosy, lovely and good taste.

The Garden Kitchen at Kettle's Yard is consistently a wonderful place to grab food at, or have coffee by yourself or with a friend. The service is kind, the food is always fresh and the variety is vast. Even without an actual visit to the house or gallery TGK is a must.

As the parent of an autistic child it can be an uncomfortable feeling going to a cafe or public space, not knowing how your child’s behaviour will be received. My worst fears were realised at Kettles yards after the humiliating treatment I received as a member of staff berated me for my “unruly” child. I chose to sit outside in a completely empty area away from all other customers so as not to inconvenience anyone. The only people who passed us outside were two members of staff and yet this woman still chose to let fly at me just because by child looked through the glass door into the area where she was working. She also accused him of playing too near her “expensive parasol “ I don’t see how a three year old could possible damage an 8ft tall metal pole on a solid metal stand even if he had touched it. I immediately apologised for his looking at her and coming up to the door, I thought my apology would’ve been enough considering he actually hadn’t done anything wrong but she wouldn’t let it drop or let me walk away with a shred of dignity. I hope the management train their staff to treat neurodiverse children and their carers with more compassion than I received but clearly this woman missed the memo.

The environment is great. The presentation of the coffee and cake was spot on but the quality is...a disappointment, coffee has a weird sour taste -definitely not returning!

The food tastes great, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. Authentic Sicilian cuisine. The interior design is cozy and visually appealing. The restaurant has washrooms in the basement, though they can be quite dirty at times. Customer service is hit or miss، some of the older staff aren’t very pleasant, and when I asked a younger staff member for water, he simply pointed to the bottles while standing right next to them instead of bringing one. Despite that, I still recommend the place for the food and ambiance.

It’s a pizza place near King’s College, Cambridge! You order first and then find a seat (basically self-service). 🍕 Pancetta Pizza ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (P1) A hot and fluffy thick-crust pizza topped with tomato sauce, sweet peppers, and cheese — tangy, sweet, and wonderfully fragrant. 🍕 Piccante Pizza ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (P2) Similar texture as above, but with spicy sausage 🌶️ on top — full of flavor! 🧁☕️ Tiramisu ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (P3) Absolutely delicious! The coffee-soaked soft ladyfingers with rich, slightly rum-flavored cream are perfectly balanced and not heavy at all. Honestly, each person should order one!

I passed by this restaurant around noon to early afternoon and saw a long queue it was quite busy. However, when I returned in the early evening, around 6 PM on a Sunday, there was no line at all and the atmosphere was very relaxed. If you’d prefer to avoid waiting, I recommend coming during this time. Dine-in orders are freshly heated, which is a nice touch. I also tried the tiramisu, which was enjoyable. I had high expectations for the pizza, but personally didn’t enjoy the pizza sauce it was quite tangy, more sour than I’m used to. While it might suit some palates, it wasn’t quite to my taste.

I got the Zucchini Pizza, and it tasted good. The bread was crunchy and the Zucchini was soft. Also tried my friends’ Pistachio brownie and canoli which were very good. My friend also ordered the Pistachio latte and she loved it so much that she bought it twice in a day. The place was really crowded, especially during the lunch hour. The place has plenty of spaces and it was still hard to get a table for four. The queue to order was very long.

The worst service I have come across. Was served a burnt pizza and when I asked the staff about it I got a blank stare as if it was my mistake. Extremely rude staff, not one iota of concern for what is being served. The staff took away the pizza without a word and we were waiting for 10 minutes and sitting there wondering if a fresh one is being served or whether we should leave. Approached the counter and met with the same attitude by another staff. No apology, no smile and extremely rude. I would not be visiting again and recommend staying away from this place until the staff are trained.

The focaccias in Aromi are absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend trying the one with aubergine and tomato sauce (I think it was called Parmigiano Focaccia). The sauce was so rich in flavour and it complimented the cheese and the veggies so well. The only downside of the place was the chaos that was there. Even though the food was already ready, it took the staff quite some time to heat up the focaccias. I know that many people were waiting, but still, the logistics of the customer service could be improved. Also, when we finally sat at the table, it wasn't cleaned after the previous customers. Still, the food itself won us over.

Despite the good reviews, my experience at this café was awful. I ordered an iced brewed coffee, but the staff seemed unsure whether they even had it. One of them finally said yes, so I placed my order along with a pastry. What I received, however, was simply hot coffee poured over ice and, as shown in my photo, the cup was not even full!! This felt both disrespectful and dishonest. It would have been fine to simply say they do not serve cold brew, rather than serve a poor substitute in an incomplete cup. With so many better options in Cambrige offering warmer service and more honesty, I do not recommend this place at all!

We stopped here for a quick pizza break. The pizza was very good but the knives were very blunt and could not cut the pizza! Also the individual tray is was served could not keep the crumps from scattering around and the parchment paper meant the pizza was slipping away! Mini Italy@Cambridge Interesting and creative menu. Always has new stuff that encourage you to come back. Full of surprises. As a result, often have difficulties in making decisions. Friendly staff. Genuine business. Love the Italian music and Italian radio broadcast too. Makes you feel as if you are in Italy.

The wine tasting events are great value for money, but if you expect a proper tasting is not the place for you. Is more the kind of event where you go with friends and enjoy a night out.Plenty food : italian cheese and meat (the prosciutto is amazing, not the cheap one from the market) and various wines accompanied by the host description.If you are a wine lover you just found your place!

I visited this place for having some drinks with my friend and I absolutely loved it. The food was amazing, as well as the drink. (take care with the negroni🍹 is super strong). They also have nice and flavored icecream 🍨 . Something that I don't like about this place (and the main reason for 3*) is that they use plastic glasses so they finish their day with a huge quantity of used plastic... Sorry for taking out 2* for this,but this has a huge impact on us in future and I can't pass it.

I am absolutely in love with this place, so sad that we aren't local. It is perfect for a lunch- budget friendly, served quickly and tasted just amazing. The best part is that there is even something exciting for kids - hot dogs 🌭 but must admit they enjoyed our food even more 😁 Outdoors tables could be a bit bigger to match the size of the dishes and knives definitely need to be changed to something more sharper. Communication between staff was a bit complicated because none knew where and for who to serve dishes - we kindly didn't accept extra food we were given and sent it back.

Great food in a lovely deli style restaurant. It’s all about the food. So much great choice as you enter. Pizza, pastas, breads, sandwiches and more. All on display as you walk in. Looks amazing. Pizza was great.

All the desserts look amazing so I've expected more quality for them but I've got disappointed. The cakes have too much sugar, it is all sugar. Also, you can feel too much salt 🧂 on them. They are also dry, I finished my coffee and coke trying to eat the cake... If we will repeat someday will be to have a good coffee ( it's really good) and because of how the personal treat us, but not for the cafe.

A lovely Croque Monsieur and a slice of Strawberry Gateau washed down with a cup of Earl Grey Tea 🤩 My husband had a B.L.T and all was delicious. Definitely worth visiting for a quick pre-shop brunch! Staff were friendly, but the cafe itself is looking tired and could do with a freshen up.

The staff were polite and efficient but didn't talk much. We enjoyed the halloumi salad and the tuna melt but the cakes weren't that great, they seem very appetising to the eye but once on your plate, the taste is bland and not worth it. We tried the frangipane tart and the pecan and walnut tart. Maybe the other cakes are better. I don't think we will go back.

Tasty hot chocolate, nice a smooth and topped off with cream as an extra. Custard slice very tasty, we also had the baked cheese cake which is maybe more cheesey and sour than we are used to. Nice little restaurant with the option of scan to order and pay.

My croque monsieur was nice but a bit expensive for what it was. Was supposed to come with crisps and salad but all I got was one tiny crisp! Not sure what happened there

Ordered through uber eats and paid a total of £44.23 (including fees) for a 6-inch angelica gateau cake and got this. Took a photo as soon as I received the box and went through uber eats app but still no response.

Good to see they are still in business during Covid-19 pandemic. Good hygiene and social distancing measures in place. Had a light lunch with my family during a visit to historic Cambridge.

The service is excellent! You can feel how approachable the staff is when they attend to you. The food is also quite good; balanced and with a good quality-to-price ratio. I'm not surprised they’ve won three customer experience awards (though only in odd-numbered years :p )

Le Patissier, Cambridge serves English Tea with Scones and Baguettes. We relished their English Breakfast Tea with Scones, Butter and Jam. The Scones were freshly baked and delicious. The Tea had fine aroma and when we enquired about the source of the Tea; the owner was very gracious and presented us a packet of Tea Bags. It was truly generous of him and we are thankful. The place is cozy and the staff are friendly, helpful and great. A memorable experience.

This place is a family gem right across St John College. We got sumptuous Rowers breakfast and ham-Brie panini with a splash of banter between the owner and her friends stopping by for coffee. We even braved a lick of marmite!

Full English breakfast, delicious and plenty of it. Voffee and tea on tap included. Very nice staff and lots of locals appeared to be using which is always a good sign.

The best scone I have ever eaten! Light and fluffy, not heavy. Lovely little old school cafe/tea room, great staff. We shared a cream tea and cake, "proper tea", lovely coffee and the cake and scone were delicious.

We first visited on spec because it looked clean on the outside and calm on the inside. A board outside with food and hot drinks info helped to make our decision. A happy relaxed greeting, prime seats in the window and we were cheerfully looked after. Coffees and ham with cheese paninis. Plenty of filling and you can have an included side salad the size of a bowl in the price, or exclude as we did. Other customers enjoyed huge scones and tea. A happy young team of keen, kind, funny cafe running participants. We returned today and had a BLT and Breakfast Baguette. Well made and large portions!! Fully recommended and with views of St John’s College grand entrance. Call in and enjoy.

Chain brand cafe located at different city of England. Good for a light meal, coffee as well as relaxing or studying.

We've got the prett app and use it regularly, make some great savings on the road. We love the cheese and pickle sandwich and wish they did other sandwiches in the same bread. Don't overlook the salads, all great.

From the perspective of a student trying to get work done, this place blows. There are no outlets or WiFi, and the coffee doesn’t make it worth it when there are better places in town such as Savino’s. If you are a tourist or just looking to get an average cup of coffee to go it isn’t so bad.

Lovely experience at this Pret this morning, the employees at the till were so kind and friendly, and I managed to receive a free pastry from a customer who had a free one as part of his membership but can't have it for healthy reasons. Yummy 😋

Nice and comfortable Pret in the middle of the city. Staff is generally friendly but changes a lot time by time, however, the regular and permanent staff is friendly despite the challenging nature of their job. The place usually kept clean and tidy. It's located on ground floor but there are extra seats available upstairs. Ground floor is accessible and spacious though. Drinks not the best but the food is tasty and not overpriced. I can recommend it.

Generally good, staff are nice and drinks are quick. I knocked a bit off as there are very few power outlets upstairs and the wifi is extremely slow/weak. If those could be solved then it would be a five star experience!

Used to like studying here but the music is too loud tbh. Especially upstairs like, I have noise-cancelling headphones, what's that about lol. Staff are really nice though ty for all my lattes :>

Quite user-friendly car park which is not depressing. A fairly large store. Good selection of teas and breads. Many more good points but terribly busy at popular times.

Ideal for premium grocery shopping and special occasions, but consider avoiding the cafe for quick meals or visiting during off-peak hours as you’ll have to manage crowds and parking. Overall enjoyable regular visits for weekly shopping.

The Waitrose cafe has finally removed the automated screens installed as a trial from the cafe. The staff are once again serving customers at the counter. They are always friendly and helpful. The menu is smaller but still with a reasonable choice

Good range of products here. Nice wide isles and staff around to help. Lots of parking available and store was clean and tidy and so was the outside. The flowers smelled amazing as I walked in store. What a treat!

Good store, car parking is a bit of a pain as it fills up quickly and remains that way most of the time - similar story with bicycle parking, although there is an adequate amount of that. The car park now has several electric vehicle charging points as well. There's also a postbox by the bicycle parking should you need to post anything - handy for Christmas cards! The store itself is clean and staff are always very friendly. The store does get extremely busy, especially around lunch hour, evening rush hour & at weekends and during holidays (e.g. Christmas, Easter, bank holidays). The store is well laid out and there's plenty of room to move even when it is busy. There is a fish counter, a meat counter, a deli and cheese counter, a sushi bar, a bakery (with a Gail's bakery stand), a sweet treats/pastries section, and freshly made bread. There is a cafe (which again can get quite busy) at the end of the store. The toilets are at the front of the store, right at the end near the cafe. The cafe now has self service kiosks so you can order your food, get a table number, then go and sit down and wait - no more long queues! The welcome desk is just as you enter the store and it's always staffed by lovely people should you need assistance - this is also where the free coffee/tea machines are, however do note that you now require a Waitrose card to scan at the coffee machine for your drink. In the foyer bit there are always plenty of lovely flowers and plants - the plant display often extends to outside during the summer months. The foyer is also where poppy sellers and such are stationed during collection periods. There's also usually a seasonal aisle in the middle of the store where Christmas, Halloween, and Easter etc items are stocked. All in all when it's not too busy the store is a pleasant experience and the cafe is a nice place to sit and take a breather even if you're not shopping there - but it's quite pricey in store these days, and the offers really aren't that great, however the Waitrose vouchers on your MyWaitrose card can be quite good. I'd still recommend it though, just wouldn't be doing a full shop in there! Fine for getting a few bits.

Waitrose got its own... charm, however it isn't in my top list for a weekly shopping, even though that's closest supermarket in Trumpington . The well known reason for its price range which is fully understandable - the quality. One more thing is the choice...yes of the food brands, the main thing that's bring me to the area is InPost lockers, which is the only in Trumpington.

Most like it Cold? Attracted by the food at the counter therefore walked in like the majority did. But have been in this cafe less than 5 times. Why? Because it's too over priced. The sandwich and pastries looked genuinely nice. Requested for heating when trying to eat in but failed. The cafe insisted to serve everything in room temperature. No heating service even it charges you more for eating in the cafe. Why? The cafe is too cold inside. Personally I prefer a more warm and cosy environment. Not a cafe with cold bakery products and cold environment. But still, it's a relatively clean environment. The food are standard, better say, no surprise nor disappointment. I know it's very highly rated in Cambridge town centre, but different people have different taste. Most like it Cold I guess. Please don't take my review too hard. Everyone has different taste. No one in this world can win everyone's approval. As it's always some like it hot.

I love this shop so much! Great atmosphere, lovely staff and amazing coffee and bread. I had smoked salmon bagel. It was delicious. There were out side tables too! The toilet available.

I really enjoy the drinks at Gail's. I also absolutely loved the cinnamon bun. The Indian girl at the counter (I think her name was Anjali) was very helpful and friendly. Thank you for the great service.

Came in here whilst waiting on some other errands to wrap up. I got an iced mocha and chocolate-almond croissant for dine in. The croissant was very nice and a combination that I'd never had before. I do plan to return to get another of these delicious pastries. The mocha, on the other hand, was not worth the money or calories. It was not chocolatey or sweet enough and did not have enough ice and therefore became watered down too quickly. I might consider returning for a baked good but I don't plan on getting barista drinks from Gail's again.

I had walked past GAIL’s on Saturday and was drawn closer by the bread in the window and then when I looked through I could see lots of really nice looking food and friendly faces behind the counter too, at this point a friend and I already had coffees in hand so we said after we’d explored Cambridge a little more that we would return and get food - which we did. The food is sooooo good - I had the Challah Knot with Harissa Chicken, a spinach and feta roll and a cookie - it tasty fresh and flavoursome - I’m definitely coming back here soon, might also have to bring friends with me so they can experience it for themselves too!
