Bar & grill
Crescent Moon is a popular tavern in Omaha, known for its wide selection of top beers from around the world and pub fare. The tavern is famous for serving one of the best versions of the Reuben sandwich in the city, which is said to have been invented right across the street at the Cottonwood Hotel.
Love this spot! Crescent Moon has such a great vibe—laid-back, welcoming, and full of character. The food is always solid (highly recommend the Reuben), and they’ve got a great selection of local brews on tap that makes it easy to try something new each time. Whether you’re hanging with friends or just want a chill place to grab a bite and a beer, this place hits the mark. Definitely one of my go-to favorites in Omaha. This post was made in connection with a toast promotion.

Decided to try this place for the history aspect. Seems like a chill sports bar with a wide tap selection. The Reuben: very saucy, loaded with meat and kraut. Overall it was good, but I had some textural issues with the way the beef was cut. I guess I've never had cubed beef on a sandwich, and now I know why. Certainly takes away from the experience. Chips and salsa as a side were as good as chips and salsa from a sports bar can be. Fries were crispy, well seasoned, and plentiful. This place was exactly what I needed it to be, and it was worth the try for the history-adjacent aspect.
Dylan — Google review
One of the best Reuben sandwiches my wife and I have had in the last few years. As legend has it, the Reuben was created at a poker game in Omaha’s Blackstone Hotel. Reuben Kulakofsky was one of the group of poker players and came up with it and Crescent Moon follows the original recipe. Crescent Moon has a friendly staff and great dine-in atmosphere. Pay for parking is available a block behind the restaurant as well as limited free street parking.

Visited on a work trip. Recommended by the bartender at our hotel for their wings. They are supposedly the originator of the a Reuben Sandwich sonI had to try it. The sandwich was good. I got the wings as well but they didn't taste great. They were definitely the wrong flavor but I didn't feel like switching them in addition to being charged extra ranch when I didn't ask for extra ranch or was even given extra. I received on small container of it.
Justin I — Google review
A friend and I stayed at the hotel across the street and wanted some late night apps and drinks. We loved the drinks, the bartender put his own spin on drinks based on our tastes. The food came out quickly and was delicious, portions were great to share. My dad ended up meeting up and also helped us eat the apps. My only complaint or even observation was the bartender was great but the doorman just seemed to “bark” orders at the bartender. It was weird. Other than that our experience was 10/10.
Monica — Google review
At first, you’re going to think this is just some little dive bar, but that is not the vibe that hit you when you walk in. There were a lot of families in there, as well as locals who are just grabbing a beer after work. However, like us, there were many people there to try the Reuben sandwich. I don’t even like Reuben sandwiches, and this one was off-the-charts delicious. I will definitely eat here again when I return to Omaha. Our server was one of the nicest gals I’ve ever encountered. She told me all about the history of the place end of the sandwich. The bathrooms need some work as far as cleanliness, but that’s the only imperfection about the place.

Great place! Delicious food! It wasn’t very busy I believe due to the construction so be sure to show this business some love!

Dropped in for lunch during their Rueben Fest week. We had the smoked Rueben, the cheesesteak Reuben, and the Reuben soup. Wish the smoke Rueben was on the menu year round.

Bar
Pub
Restaurant
Wilson & Washburn is a popular neighborhood bar and gastropub located near the Orpheum Theater in Omaha. The establishment prides itself on its scratch kitchen menu, featuring creative sandwiches and pub-style dishes. The rustic yet modern bar offers a range of craft beers and cocktails, including their specialty Beertail.
They were busy but we were seated right away. My husband started with a Scotch Egg. Other than being a little lean on the sausage layer he really enjoyed it, that mustard sauce was great! He also had the Smoked Tomato Soup and loved everything about it! I kinda figured he'd go with the Smoked Meatloaf Sandwich. Honey cream cheese, Spinach, Sautéed peppers and onions, Jalapeño jam. It had a lot going on but it totally worked. He loves Meatloaf and went on and on about the Ciabatta it was served on! Fish & Chips were super yummy! Great beer batter, so flaky and crispy! Exactly what you want them to be! I order this everywhere and I'd say it's definitely in the top 5 I've had. Tartar was good, hand-cut fries were perfect. Coleslaw was different with a southwest flavor but I enjoyed it as well. Our server was brand new but mostly did a fine job keeping up. The vibe in this place is awesome and we really enjoyed the rock music blasted overhead 🤘. I see how this place has earned its popular reputation and following!
Kirsten A — Google review
The tomato soup is spectacular! The pork egg rolls were crispy perfection and tasty! The atmosphere is relaxing and quaint! I love the brick walls and chandelier and real candlelight. Highly recommend!
High P — Google review
This is an excellent pub. They have a good selection of beers on tap and very knowledgeable servers. The Fish & Chips is some of the best in Omaha. The Beet Burger with beet chips is so amazing that you will completely forget it is vegetarian. The Philly is a great sandwich but could use a little more cheese. If you are catching a show at the Orpheum, definitely try out this spot.
Mad B — Google review
After moving downtown, we wanted to find our bar home and after visiting several places we walked in Wilson and Washburn and it felted like the place. Then we met regulars the amazing staff and it just got better. That’s all before having possibly the best fish and chips in Omaha and the beet burger! Holy crap was it great! Want that cheers vibe with great staff and food? Look no further!
Chris W — Google review
Had a great time and food was delicious. Highly recommend Meatloaf Sandwich, Chicken in a Bisket, Shrimp Po Boy and Fish and Chips. Stuffed portabello was a huge hit and pulled pork egg rolls were good as well. Bourbon bread pudding and key lime pie were also very good , no complaints from the entire table. Definitely would return.
Roxanne A — Google review
If you're in Omaha and looking for a cozy spot with amazing food, Wilson & Washburn is the place to go. Nearly everything on the menu is made from scratch, and the food is so delicious I found myself coming back every day. The bar has outlets underneath, making it easy to set up your laptop and get some work done. If you stop by, Jeff, Andy, or Zoe will make sure you receive excellent service. Highly recommend!
Dominic P — Google review
Great tasting food, these bars are really stepping their kitchen game up. If you like pulled pork sandwiches I’d recommend trying theirs. Also the fries were good too, seasoned and cooked well.
Jarodd B — Google review
The food menu is small and a step above what you would expect from a pub. Everything is good. Love the smoked wings and beet burger (still great since the last time I went in 2018). For the drinkers, the cocktail and beer selection is great. There are also specials each day. Glad I came back with the family.

Pub
Barrett's Barleycorn Pub & Grill is a beloved local spot that perfectly captures the essence of Omaha's vibrant social scene. This inviting pub offers a delightful mix of traditional Irish charm and hearty pub fare, making it a go-to destination for both medical professionals and students from the nearby University of Nebraska Medical Center. With its spacious patio and sand volleyball court, Barrett's provides an ideal setting for relaxation and fun.
Excellent food, great service, and most importantly good beer. Burger was great, produce on it was super fresh. Fries were tasty. Guinness was bangin. Will definitely be going back.
LANCER 1 — Google review
Prologue; the website is not accurate where the menu is concerned. And, if your party is less than six people, do NOT try to sit at the table for six. Prologue is now concluded. Parking might be tight. Our server was excellent. (Mo) our beverages came pretty quickly. I ordered a beef Philly. Mo asked whether or not I had ever tried a Philly on fries instead of a bun. I had not. So I decided to try that. I’m glad I did. The fries add an unexpected bit of flavor to the meal. I’ll likely do that every time I order a Philly. It’s that good. The place was pretty busy, and it was challenging to visit. I’m pretty sure we will eat there again.
Rob H — Google review
Last weekend we stopped at Barrett's Barleycorn for the first time so my husband could try Omaha's "Best" Reuben. He has had them at at least a dozen places in Lincoln and several in Omaha. This one finally lived up to the hype! The meat, sauerkraut, dressing, he loved every bit of it. Best he's had in Nebraska by a mile! I ordered a Veggie Philly minus tomatoes. It was good, very generous with filling. The cream cheese was a little too much for me but I get the appeal. Phillies, Reubens, and other sandwiches were leaving the kitchen left and right so this seems to be the place to get them. We waited about 40 minutes for our food but were told it would be at least that upon entering. There were only a couple of people working the floor but moving non-stop. Very friendly staff even while being slammed!
Kirsten A — Google review
It’s a personal favorite for mine on Mondays when they have their burger special. Good beer selection, food, and prices. Parking can be a bit of a mess depending on the day. If you are at the VA or Medical Center you’d be hard pressed to find a better place to unwind and fill up within walking distance.
Professor M — Google review
The feel of this bar would keep me coming back on its own. The delicious and meaty Reuben was incredible. Also loved the wings. Small and crisp yet juicy wings. I’ll be back!
Darren C — Google review
It has been a long time since I have been here. The bike club does weekly rides on Thursday to various places to dine for breakfast or lunch. The food was great as was the service. Dining outside on the patio was also nice.
Jeff Q — Google review
Laughter is Brightest Where Food is Best. – Irish Proverb They couldn't have quoted this place better. It's a great dive bar with great food and service. REUBEN “Voted BEST of Omaha!” Corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, 1000 island dressing, grilled on marble bread – a favorite in the town it was created. 12.25 (for a healthier choice, ask for a Turkey Reuben!) 9/10 - loved it. Great rueben! OUR FAMOUS PORK TENDERLOIN (Thursday & Friday Only) This little piggy went to market…but the piggy only goes once a week. First come, first served! A hefty pork tenderloin lightly breaded and served with the works: cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions on a sesame seed bun. 14.00 7/10 - Pretty good. Would love a little more seasoning on the meat and breading. Good fries too. Had a green tea shot that was OK. Will be back to try more stuff.
Sean D — Google review
Love me some Barrett's. Friendly and helpful staff. I had the chicken Philly. It was the best I've ever had. Great portion size. Priced reasonably. They are also known for their burgers, Fresh pork tenderlions and rubins. I highly recommend Barrett's Barleycorn Pub and Grill.

Irish pub
Bar & grill
Nestled at the corner of 78th and Dodge, Brazen Head Irish Pub is a cozy retreat that beautifully marries American cuisine with authentic Irish charm. For nearly 25 years, this beloved neighborhood pub has been a go-to spot for locals seeking hearty fare and a warm atmosphere.
Friday 10/25/24 Dubliner Stew in a bread bowl $7.99. Delicious COOL bar GREAT SERVICE! Friday special must eat in for specials. Going to check out Wed special half price bowl of soup $2.99! Sunday 11/24/24 another great fish and chips dinner 10.99 but I wish they could spice up the mayonnaise/tartar sauce.
Jeff Y — Google review
Brazen Head Irish Pub delivers a mixed bag of experiences, but overall, it's a solid spot for drinks and a few standout bites. Having visited twice in a week and spent over $200 on food, I found that some items were excellent, while others missed the mark. As an Irish pub, it shines when it comes to drinks-Guinness on tap, proper Irish beer and whiskey selections, and even the ability to get a proper float. The service is friendly and fast, and the place is clean, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. The highlights of the menu include the spicy cheese curds, crispy onion rings, and the rich bread pudding. The Reuben is also worth mentioning, with well-balanced portions of corned beef, kraut, and sauce, all on perfectly toasted rye. The Celtic burger and coleslaw were also enjoyable. However, not everything was up to par. The clam chowder lacked filling and was mostly liquid. The fish was soggy and I couldn’t finish it, let alone take it home. The roasted beef on the pub sandwich was dry and lacked flavor, ultimately removed to finish the sandwich. The red (jerk?) sauce served with the tenders didn’t work for me it didn’t have the right balance of flavor and was a bit off. All things considered, I would recommend Brazen Head for a visit. The drinks, some of the food items, and the overall atmosphere make it worth trying out
J C — Google review
Love the Sunday specials here. Got a half-priced peach mimosa and some fish and chips while my husband got a bread bowl of clam chowder soup and the pub sandwich. Everything was SO delicious and the service was amazing, too. The interior is so huge and cozy and the patio out back has tables that are perfectly shaded. ☘️
Justine B — Google review
My friend had been here before and liked it so I went to dinner with her here one night a couple of weeks ago. Almost everything I got to eat was amazing. We had the garlic bread as an appetizer, but I just did not like it. I felt like it just wasn't toasted enough, and the marinara had a weird taste to it. But the creamy potato soup was so good as was my potato pancake (boxty) that was filled with ham and other things. I would eat here again!
Debra W — Google review
Haven’t been in years and stopped by for supper. It was pretty busy so we sat at the bar- still the service and food were great!
Richard T — Google review
I was so excited to stop here for my birthday lunch. I’ve been here a few times and loved it…however, this time it fell short. I ordered the French onion soup and while it tasted great, the consistency was much thinner than it usually is and it had little to no onions. The spinach artichoke dip tasted off and had a grainy texture, so we sent it back and got the Rueben nachos instead. They were good. Not even an hour after our meal, I started having stomach pains and vomiting. I’m pretty sure I ended up with food poisoning. What a rotten way to spend a birthday!
Stephanie R — Google review
Irish pubs are so underrated. Loved the find your seat, casual dining atmosphere. And the prices for a great meal were truly outstanding!

Nice Walmart lunch meat on st Patrick's day... .what a joke, almost no meat in this...what a rip off!!!! expected better from an Irish pub!! Then the owner says don't expect good food on the one day people go out for Irish food lol, dude why can every other non Irish bar find a way to not serve lunch meat and it was literally .4 ounces of meat..... truly pathetic, just don't serve food or find a way to be better, its clearly an effort problem!!!how can you debate against this picture lol?

American restaurant
Bar
J. Coco is a contemporary dining room and bar located in a 1925 building with a deck, offering seasonal New American plates. The restaurant's focus on simplicity is evident in dishes like the Croque Garcon and the Wagyu Burger, which features just one additional ingredient besides the patty: special sauce. The restaurant has received positive feedback for its wonderful staff and great dining experience, with careful attention to menu choices and preparation.
Happy hour is amazing! Love Scott the manager!!! Can't go wrong with the food either. The wagyu burger is super good and priced well. So is the shaved prime rib sandwich if your looking for cheaper eats. Their steak is really good and so is the Duck when they have it. Love this place.
Jon E — Google review
We did a dinner in their private dining room. Korean Tacos 3.5 stars An average offering for myself. WIth so many other better options, this is a skip for me. Grilled Octopus 5 stars Not overcooked, with great flavor Lamb Balls 4 stars Good option with a decent lamb flavor. My friend who does not like the flavor of lamb was not happy with it, but if you like lamb this is for you (my friend who loves it gave it 5 stars) I do love lamb, but it just wasn't a top pick here for me. Mushroom Risotto 5 stars Delicious. I love mushrooms and the risotto was nice and creamy. Fried brussel sprouts 4 stars If you like very bursts of flavor, this is it. It was overly salted for me, but I can see other people loving this. Sweet and Creamy Drink 5 stars after adding cream. Also it was only 2.50 NY Strip 4 stars The first one was tough and chewy. My friend who ordered it informed the server. The server brought out a new piece that was much more tender. Lamb Shank 4 stars They didn't have the lamb bone. Solid choice. Lobster bolognese 4 stars It was what you would expect. Nice and creamy. The lobster pieces were prominent as well. There was a little something missing here for me though. It was my friends dish so I didn't have enough to figure it out. Sea bass 4.5 stars Most of this dish was amazing. I wasn't a fan of the vegetable dumplings that were served with it. I didn't eat it (though other people at my table did). The fish itself was 5 stars when paired with the kaiware sprouts. So good. Creme brulee 4 stars Solid great offering Cheesecake 3 stars The texture was off for me on this one. Something chocolate 4 stars (Probably 5 if you love chocolate) This was a better texture than the other cheesecake. I'm not a huge fan of chocolate, but I'd get this before the cheesecake. Bread pudding 5 stars This was a resounding success with the majority voting on this one. Crisp 5 stars Perfectly paired with 2 large scoops of vanilla ice cream Tiramisu 5 stars Loved the presentation of this and it was a very good solid choice. Service was 4 stars. They always resolved everything, but not everything was handled in the most professional manner.

An Omaha gem! Everything: service, food, atmosphere, etc; was outstanding! Haven't been here since before the pandemic, and it used to be a favorite! 1st dinner out since we got fully vaxed It's comforting to know that J. Coco's hasn't missed a beat! Cannot rave enough about this place! It remains a favorite!
Kimberly C — Google review
Intimate locals favorite restaurant with a nice variety of dishes. Olive and hummus appetizer was great. Fried olives seemed like something we should try and they were delicious. The calamari wasn’t as successful (slightly undercooked) and bland. The beef tenderloin dinner was terrific. Lovely beef cut on a bed of lobster risotto and a side of broccolini. The small house salad was a good starter and the champagne vinaigrette wasn’t over sweet. My companions enjoyed their meals as well. The strip steak comes with onion ring toppings. The noise level was tremendous and shouting was required. Service was very good. Large wine selection though non alcoholic drink choices are limited to the usual sodas and San Pelligrino water.
Myrna J — Google review
Was working next door so stopped in for lunch. Food was a Generous proportion, extremely good, and fairly priced I think. I had the oxtail that they have on special and it was $12 for the giant bowl. Everyone inside was dressed business casual and I made a comment to the waiter that I should come back with a suit on. He replied telling me come one come all they accept everyone how they are. I’ll be bringing my wife back to try some more amazing food
Kevin G — Google review
Love this place. Eat here at least once a week. Great atmosphere always with a groovy playlist. Possibly the best food in Omaha - crazy good!

I went here for my Birthday lunch with my family. The Crispy Monte Cristo was in my top 3 Monte Cristo's of all time, and I've had a lot of them. Also pictured is the creme brulee.

Restaurant
The Drover is a renowned chophouse that has made a remarkable comeback after facing challenges such as a destructive fire and the impact of the pandemic. It is celebrated for its signature whiskey-marinated steaks, particularly the bone-in ribeye, which diners can enjoy with the restaurant's secret sauce. The establishment boasts a retro salad bar, one of Omaha's first, offering classic favorites like Iceberg lettuce and Thousand Island dressing.
This is a quintessential Omaha steak house. The lighting is dim, the atmosphere is cozy, the staff is fast, friendly and knowledgeable, and the steaks are cooked to perfection. The drink service was right on top of us which was great. The onion rings appetizer had a unique and delicious peppery taste. The salad bar is just fine and the Whiskey Steaks are superb. This place has been in business for a long time for a reason!
Mad B — Google review
If you’re looking for a delicious steak, “The Drover” is the place to be. It is a quaint and cozy restaurant. Eric is a great bartender and had wonderful customer service, looking forward to going back. Seating can be limited at times so it is preferred to make reservations or you can sit at the bar. Highly recommended!

I love how simple the menu is. I feel like that’s when you know it’s going to be good. I had the Whiskey Ribeye with a loaded baked potato and salad. Steak was delicious and cooked a perfect medium rare. The baked potato was wonderful and had just the right amount of toppings. You got to go to the salad bar to make your own and everything was fresh. Our waitress was nice but I wouldn’t have minded her making it over to the table a bit more. I like to drink a lot of waters/Diet Coke and found myself waiting a bit to get refills. Other than that she did well. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Dimmed warm yellow lights and a cozy bar. Highly recommend trying but make a reservation if you can, especially on the weekends.

August 2025: Came here for a team dinner and had a very enjoyable meal. The place reminds me of a traditional old school steak 🥩 house with dark wood and a rustic feel. Ordered the rib eye whiskey 🥩. It was a boneless cut and had a nice whiskey finish on the pallet. I had a baked potato 🥔 as my side with butter and chives. I was very happy with the potato. My meal came with a choice of soup or salad. I chose the salad bar and got a nice salad. Drink options were pretty good. I had a zip line IPA from a local brewery. Would definitely come back again for more delicious steak 🥩!

Drover’s feels like a true local gem with classic Midwestern steakhouse charm. I sat at the bar and enjoyed a perfectly cooked medium-rare ribeye, paired with a great glass of Cabernet. The salad bar was a solid choice—the blue cheese dressing tasted homemade and was a highlight. The bartender was friendly and attentive, rounding out an excellent meal.

Solid steak, perhaps the best in Omaha, but definitely has room for improvement. It is a good value - the steak, baked potato, and soup for one price (along with bread at the beginning of the meal) is a good amount of food. The ribeye was cooked medium rare, the filet was cooked more on the rare side. It was difficult to taste the whiskey marinade but maybe there was a small hint of sweetness. The salad is a better value than the soup because it’s unlimited but I liked the red pepper soup too. The baked potato seemed very rich with the sour cream, get it on the side. The side of asparagus was plain and underwhelming.
Sameet S — Google review
Dined at The Drover last night as a guest of a large party. I ordered the Whiskey Rib-Eye with asparagus as the side. The salad bar is fine, but nothing special; certainly not worth paying the asking price by itself. The rib-eye was excellent both in quality and preparation. They didn't trim off the woody ends of the asparagus, which is a rookie mistake in my opinion, hence my knocking off a star.

Had a friend recommend The Drover after he found out we were in Omaha for the CWS. We wasn’t able to get a reservation due to the high volume of people visiting at the time, so we opted to try and walk in. Surprised that we were seated by the great staff in about 15min. The atmosphere and staff were amazing! We had a party of four and two of us ordered the whiskey ribeye, cooked medium, and two ordered the filets. Loaded baked potatoes for sides. The potatoes were good even though mine was slightly undercooked. The filets were tender and had an ok flavor. Unfortunately, the whiskey ribeyes we ordered were not so tender. They seemed to be a cheap, lean cut of beef, with very little flavor. Very tough to eat. As a matter of fact both mine and my father-n-laws jaws were sore after eating the steak. Very little fat. We very disappointed to say the least as this place came with great recommendations. Maybe it was because they were overwhelmed and not prepared for so many people traveling to Omaha, but it would be hard for me to recommend this place to anyone. Price was to be expected, for a good steak. Not a good price for what we got.

Block 16 is a sandwich shop in Omaha that embraces a garden-to-table philosophy, offering casual lunches featuring gyros, burgers, and sides. The restaurant prides itself on serving farm-to-table street food using locally sourced ingredients and avoiding preservatives whenever possible. They also provide vegan-friendly options. Menu highlights include the Croque Garcon Burger, Duck Duck Goose Fries, and the Dragon Wrap. Additionally, Block 16 features a new daily special.
The food here is BOMB. I could tell I was in for a treat, when the line was out the door on a Thursday for lunch. The line moved pretty quickly and even though there were a lot of people, seats became available pretty quickly. The Duck Duck Goose Fries were out of this world and blew me away. This is hands down my favorite memory from Omaha and I tell all my friends to check this place out when they are in town. I loved it so much, I came back again to make sure it was the last thing I ate before heading home.

Delicious burgers, sandwiches, and fun fries!! You can really tell the effort put into fresh ingredients and finding a way to keep the daily specials interesting. Would definitely recommend the Block Burger for anyone looking for a good burger but there are plenty of great options if you’re looking for something new too.

The food I had here was orgasmic. Life changing. Loved it, and will be dreaming about it until I get the chance to come back again. Tried the Bacon & Brie a la Emily sandwich, and it was amazing. Also did an order of the fried mushroom fries... Definitely worth the stop.

Had the Pulled Pork Roll, Poutine Burrito, and an order of fries. All 3 were great. We arrived a bit before open on a Saturday and were the first group in line. We ordered, picked out a table, and an employee came over and offered to set our friends crutches against the wall. Will happily go again the next time we're in town!

Hard to find seating. Food is fresh. Sometimes takes a while, but my kids can sit through the wait. Parking is sometimes hard to find, depending on the day. Service could be a little friendlier. We have found they are when it’s less busy. We visit when we come to Omaha every other year or so. We usually try something different each time we go. And enjoy it.

I don’t give many 5 star reviews but this one is well earned. I had their prime rib special tonight. It was the best tasting and most tender prime rib I have had in a long time. The baked potato with lobster and shrimp was excellent and the grilled veggies were amazing. The aju was very good. I never made it to the salad. Perhaps tomorrow. Well done Block 16. Great friendly staff. Definately a hole in the wall just like I like my restaurants. I will be back and bring all my friends.

Absolutely delectable 10/10 for my meal it was the best roast beef type (oxtail) sandwich and that cheese pull was killer! (My whole reach!) My wife had the Sailor burger and she said it was a 6/10 it tasted good but was advertised to have beef tallow so it should have been a moist burger but she said it was a dry burger. Water was available to drink while waiting and the service was about as good as a burger joint can get. The poutine also had a very few cheese curds and so much gravy that the fries were swimming in it which is why I overall gave the meal between us two four stars.

This was a unique find for my wife and I as we traveled through Omaha. We didn't want to eat at your everyday restaurant. So very glad we stopped in. The food is amazing. I had Omaha fries and the wife had duck duck fries. Her fries did indeed have duck. My fries had ground wagyu beef. They were both full of fantastic flavor. The service was great and so was the price. I can only imagine what the rest of their food might taste like. I highly recommend stopping in. You will not be disappointed!

Louie M's Burgerlust is a laid-back eatery that started as a simple breakfast spot and has now expanded into a full-service restaurant. Whether you're craving breakfast classics or hearty lunch options, this place has got you covered. On weekends, they offer special dishes like Krab and Cream Cheese Omelet and Spinach and Feta Cheese Omelet. The menu boasts an extensive selection of mouthwatering burgers, making it a haven for meat enthusiasts.
Fun place to grab a burger. The burgers were great. Lots of options. If you get a drink, they don’t have whiskey fyi. But there do have rum! I’m certainly impressed by the decorations and atmosphere. The old school sports pictures and results are awesome in the city of Omaha. The only downside was the fries. They were definitely not a highlight.

Louie M’s is a quaint breakfast/lunch spot with a great, friendly staff and solid food. They have a fun ambiance, with lots of kitschy decor. The pancakes were the standout, being both fluffy but slightly crispy on top. The biscuits and grave were a little underwhelming, with the biscuits clearly from a bag. But everything else was quite good and this place is definitely worth a try.

Wow! We stopped here on a whim when trying to find a place to eat outside of the Henry Doorly Zoo. And I have to say, it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time (I got the guacamole bacon burger). It was HUGE and tasted so good, and the fries were good as well. We ate right outside the front door since there were some tables and chairs along the sidewalk. The service was excellent, and we’ll definitely come back again when visiting the area. There’s a cool mural on the back side of the building too. Parking is a little tight. It’s less than 5 minutes driving from the zoo.

Sooooo good! That burger had to be hand pattied! Perfect and perfect and so were the onion rings. And the paper menus and the little diner atmosphere definitely played part in this great experience!
Kim T — Google review
The burger patty made the burger. Real meat and obviously hand done. The meat was high quality. Got a chance to talk to the owner and found out the meat is delivered daily from a family owned local meat processor (bonus: you get to support two local businesses at one time when you eat here). The food is simple and real. The flavor feels wholesome. The service is friendly and familiar. I was fortunate enough to watch the restaurant fill up with regulars for lunch and hear them all greeted by name. A restaurant that had that many happy regulars has some magic. I'm pretty sure it is the family that owns and operates it. The neighborhood it is in is on the upswing with so many cool historic building. The restaurant has all the eclectic charm and character that it's years of history would demand. All around a great spot for lunch. I look forward to trying breakfast, here.

I love restaurants like this! It’s not just about the food but also the conversations. The Bacon Cheddar Burger was decent, but the service was spectacular. I started a conversation with the server, who shared a bit of their story with me. They mentioned being born and raised in Omaha and revealed how deeply connected they were to the restaurant—so much so that they were named after someone linked to it. It’s those conversations that really set a restaurant apart from one another. Perhaps I’m romanticizing it a bit, but this is what makes small-town America so wonderful!

this isn't above average diner with really good breakfast food I had hash browns and eggs and toast which is my go-to and it was better than my home diner. price was very reasonable and hard to beat these days but quality was not compromised by price and service was phenomenal. The Benson Brewery is a cozy microbrewery nestled in the heart of Benson, offering a laid-back atmosphere and vegan-friendly American cuisine. The pretzels are so good and the dips are even better. Save the mustard and cheese to dip your fries in! There are good vegan and vegetarian options and there’s even a vegan item discount on Wednesdays! Our server Becca was great!

Been here a few times and I feel like it’s so underrated! We’ve loved all of our beers here! They have the best happy hour around and one of the best beer gardens we’ve been to in Omaha! Just tried their pretzel sticks and fries for the first time and they were also great! Also, every time we come here, we have the best service with the nicest bartenders and servers! Can’t wait to come back!

Been here twice now during their trivia night. Have wanted to try a few items on the menu, but so far just appetizers. Had the pretzel sticks w assorted mustard and beer cheese, totally worthy. Also tried a side of their fries, good, did the job. Last one I recently tried was their Baked Mac & Cheese. The pic has hot sauce on it, think Sriracha. It was okay, not amazing, but good enough for most people. Both times sat at the bar so service was great, dig the place.

Quaint little brewery with some food options. Fish and chips were different than I expected. The batter had some herbs in it that I'm not used from the UK. Nevertheless, still tasted good. The beer options are amazing and everything is brewed in house. Would recommend for a night out.

We came for restaurant week back to the Benson Brewery and had a wonderful meal with crispy cauliflower on a bed of salad and marinated onions. Then we had a flank steak both vegan and real meat on a bed of sweet potatoes and charred broccolini. We finished the meal with a vegan chocolate mousse with fresh raspberries and candied walnuts. We chose a flight of different beers to go with our courses and all of them were delicious. We enjoyed this dining experience very much!

I've been told this place had the best pretzels in town and it didn't disappoint. :) the cheese sauce was divine. I love the poutine too. So much yum. My date ordered a flight of beers and while I'm not a beer drinker myself, i did sip a few and some were actually quite palatable.

I've been here 6 times-ish. Time for review. One of the best places in Omaha to grab dinner. Poutine fries a must. As a connoisseur of reubens, I rank it at number 4 in omaha. Thick cut meat can leave it a bit chewy in places. Everything else we've ever eaten or drank here is fantastic. Model your business after this for success. Excellent wait/bar staff. Busy times can produce a wait for food, but will be worth it.

Ice cream shop
Coneflower Creamery, situated in the heart of Omaha's Blackstone District, is a modern parlor that serves up delicious handmade ice cream using locally sourced ingredients. The shop offers a variety of classic and unique flavors, with everything from Butter Brickle to sweet corn being seasonally driven. Visitors can expect generous portions and friendly staff at this 'farm-to-cone' ice cream shop where even the sprinkles are homemade.
It’s my first time trying coneflower ice cream. I absolutely loved it. The ice cream was sooo rich in flavor unlike others. They definitely have better flavors. I got the coconut flavor ice cream and it was sooo creamy and so rich. The server was kind and she gave me samples of few ice cream I was interested in.
ASH — Google review
I recently visited Coneflower Creamery and tried their roasted pistachio and hazelnut ice cream flavors. Unfortunately, both tasted pretty basic and didn’t stand out in any special way. Given the high Google Maps rating, I was expecting something more memorable—maybe the other flavors are better, but I’m not sure. The shop itself is quite small with no real space for sitting, so it’s more of a grab-and-go spot. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. Overall, I’d give the experience around 2.5 to 3 out of 5.
Saeed V — Google review
Greetings from Indiana! We were in Omaha for a robotics competition and had the pleasure of visiting Coneflower Creamery—thanks to a local artist at Hot Shops who highly recommended it. Having traveled far and wide—from Asia to California to New York and many places in between—I can confidently say Coneflower serves the best ice cream we’ve ever had. Their meticulous attention to flavor and quality truly sets them apart. During our visit, I had the pleasure of meeting Brian, who I later found out is the owner. With his signature handlebar mustache, he was humble, welcoming, and made our experience all the more memorable. He even graciously posed for a photo when I asked! The next day, we stopped by their Millwork location, where all the ice cream magic happens. The team went above and beyond to accommodate my son’s food allergies, even preparing fresh batches just for him. Their thoughtful care meant the world to us. We also loved the decor and the unique viewing area where you can see the “ice cream lab” in action. Everything about the experience was so delightful, we couldn’t leave without picking up a T-shirt (the yellow one with the cone and flowers—of course!). We’ll definitely be back!

Coneflower Creamery did not disappoint! The ice cream is delicious and there are lot of unique flavors. The hardest part is deciding which ones to get! We loved the sweet corn, tart cherry crumble and butter brickle!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars – Deservedly #1 It’s no surprise Coneflower is ranked #1 by Yelp and highly praised by just about everyone else—it never disappoints. Today’s lineup was pure ice cream bliss: cinnamon-something deliciousness (still dreaming about it), banana Nutella something, birthday cake, and cherry crumble tart. One flavor was better than the next. Rich, creative, and always on point. Hats off to the team—thank you for consistently delivering scoop after scoop of joy.

Highest quality ice cream in a great variety of both classic and unique flavors. We had an ice cream sandwich and the chocolate chip cookie made in-house was also fantastic. I love ice cream and seek it out whenever we're in a new city and Coneflower is absolutely worth going out of your way for.

At Goldbergs in Dundee, you can enjoy hearty pub fare like burgers, sandwiches, steak dinners, and fish dishes as well as signature bread pudding. There are also six outdoor dog-friendly tables where Fido can join you for a bite.
This has always been a solid restaurant with delicious burgers. Their Island Burger had a great grill flavor - not something you typically get from a restaurant. Their jalapeno margarita really has a nice spicy and sweet body to it. Their curly fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings were all above average. To go with reasonable prices, the wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly and the restaurant was clean and well kept.

Very Disappointing! My wife ordered their 1/2 Avocado Turkey bacon sandwich & salad. It came to the table without Avocado?! We ask our waitress, and she nicely said, she’d bring some. What came was a dark/black, over ripe avacado pieces in a small cup. Thinking, it was just surface browning, I tried a small piece, (soft & nasty). I showed it to our waitress and another waitress, who bussed plates. I told both of them; I see why the kitchen didn’t put it on the sandwich, I wouldn’t have put it on either.; And, If they don’t have avocado; this sandwich should be taken off the menu. Both waitresses, said; I’ll tell them. I wasn’t’ expecting a lot a lot, but more than just lip service. The bill was brought to the table without any adjustments? I didn’t stiff the waitress and left the usual ~20% tip; although, maybe I shouldn’t have? Because, yes it was a kitchen/establishment issue, the waitress, didn’t advocate or make adjustments. For my meal; I had a Reuben, with potato wedges. The potato wedges were hot and crispy, and the Reuben was Ok (nothing to write home about, just okay), The atmosphere is nice, but I doubt If we’ll try them a second time. We did a Google search for comfort food, (This is Not), it’s more in the line of burgers and sandwiches. Seems like they may be relying on the Dundee area reputation for good food?

Our meals were amazing! My brisket sandwich was moist and the pretzel bun was an added bonus. I upgraded to sweet potato fries/ ranch, yummy, crisp, and hot! My hubbs had zero complaints on his Ruben sandwich. We had a great dining experience with Scott as our server. He took really good care of us. I recommend you ask for Scott's section before you self seat!

Well Goldbergs used to be good. Haven't been here in a while and now will never be back. Processed patties and lack of flavor on just about everything. Artichoke dip had zero cheese just enough oil to make it somewhat ok. Reuben lacked any tangible flavor. I could go on and on but what's the point. Pick another place to eat..... So so so so many to choose from.

Definitely on my list of places to go back to. Both burgers tasted very good. Not 5 stars because about half of one burger was very under cook. Had to send it back for some more grill time. Other than that service was good and the place was fairly quiet, wasn't to busy as we walked right in, but people where coming and going pretty regularly I thought for a Tuesday evening.

The Committee Chophouse, situated in the Cottonwood Hotel, formerly known as the Blackstone Hotel, is a renowned dining establishment with a rich history. Originally a private club called 'The Committee,' it hosted late-night poker games at the historic hotel and now continues this tradition in a modern setting. The restaurant offers an elegant modern take on the classic mid-century steakhouse and features the famous Cottonwood Room, evoking nostalgia from bygone days.
Our valentines night choice that doesn’t not disappoint! We were met with the warmest of atmospheres from the moment we stepped through the door. The booth my wife and I shared provided an intimate setting to enjoy each other’s company without feeling secluded from happenings of the restaurant. Our service from Sadie was a premier experience and absolute delight from a true professional. Her knoweldge of the menu inside and out helped our dinner decision process with ease and efficiency. As the night progressed her and the other wait staff were in and out with gracious courtesy to keep the table uncluttered to enjoy the meal from start to finish. Started with the crab cakes and cheese plate for the appetizers. For our entree we shared a beef Wellington that was executed with an elegance that made each tender bite better than the last. For sides we chose potatoes lyonnaise and garlic Brussels sprouts. Everything met the high expectations that I had in my mind and we will definitely be back for another elevated dinner date soon. Get here and enjoy the experience soonest!!!!

Had dinner here to celebrate my wife's 30th. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Amazing decor and lighting. Our waitress was super friendly and really made us feel knowledgeable about their menu items. I had the Delmonico and it was probably the best steak I've had in years. They really know how to cook a steak right here. My wife enjoyed her filet and we shared the most deletable cheesy potatoes I've ever had. For our starter we got the pork which was incredibly tasty. Their drinks were top notch and our dessert trio was a homage to the chefs childhood favorites. Overall we will be returning.

Food was excellent. Atmosphere was very nice. We had a decent sized party in the private dining room, our server was not very good. She was not very professional, not very friendly and sarcastic at times. Not real sure how she has a job at a nice place like this but we will just chalk it up to her having a rough day. The food was great. We tried all of the appetizers, the pork belly, oysters, bread board, and cheese plate were all excellent. I saw many great entrees, I had the Pork Chop with risotto and Arugula. The chili and peach glaze was very nice. Great dish. My lady next to me had the Delmonico 16oz Ribeye. It was very good but was not the best I have ever tasted. I also was told the Scallops were great by another friend but I did not get to try them. Many of the desserts looked good. I try not to sample the desserts but I heard good things about all of them. All in all, very nice establishment.

This place is impressive, and aesthetically stunning. Firstly, there is a noticeable ease in communication between the kitchen and front of house. Our server, Joe, was wonderfully attentive without being overwhelming. The courses were timed perfectly, which again, I can safely attribute to a highly functional kitchen/FOH relationship. The staff here is a team—no one is afraid to pre-bus, or fill a water. Everyone is polite, gracious, and professional. Full disclosure, we were spoiled during this visit, as our wonderful friend Dallas is a member of their culinary team—and he made it a point to make our experience memorable with a special prefix menu. While this would never be something I would ask for, my dining companion is far more daring than I, and had no problem going out of her way to make such a request. Dallas was more than willing to rise to the occasion, and personally presented our main course. Within our prefix menu, I saw incredible nods to the classics presented without the heaviness you’d find at traditional steakhouses. There was mid-rare duck with a gorgeous demi glacé, Piedmontese filet, and ribeye—all accompanied by small ramekins of house steak sauce, red & green chimichurri, and creamy horseradish. Everything was cooked to perfection. I could swim in the Mac & cheese. The mushrooms presented on the side were perfect, as well. We ended with a Baked Alaska, and some cappuccinos. It was the perfect ending, and the presentation was spot-on. It’s been a long while since I’ve worked in the fine dining sphere, and this place reminds me of everything I loved about it. If you’re looking for a wonderful, cozy experience, I can assure you that Dallas & Co will provide everything you seek and more.

Terrific experience. The steaks looked great. I had the pork chop and I was one of the best meals I have ever ordered. If you are looking to impress visitors to Omaha or enjoy a special night your self, I highly recommend the Committee Chophouse.

This is a great date night spot and the semi circular booths are cozy. The interiors are well designed and retro classy. Service was top notch as well. Wedge salads are classic at a steak house and theirs was great! Super refreshing and savory. The steak tartare was not a traditional one and it was good quality. Unfortunately, I’m just not into the sweet jam in it and wish it wasn’t sweet at all. Not the fault of the restaurant, I just like a tartare that leans towards salt. The cowboy ribeye was surprisingly thin, but it had good flavor, was tender, and cooked to our exact request of medium rare. It was a tad too salty. The sauce we chose was chimichurri. I ended up having to add the chimichurri to the Lyonnaise potatoes because those had about no flavor and were very plain, it needed some salt. The other side we got was the broccolini and it had a really nice spicy kick to it.

The Committee Chophouse was one of the first steakhouses I visited after moving to Omaha, and it quickly became a top favorite. I made a reservation, so I’m not sure how easy it is to walk in, but they do have a beautiful bar at the entrance that offers happy hour and small bites from what I’ve read. Our server, Zane, was incredibly attentive and professional, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. It is a bit noisy, but still comfortable enough to hold a mid-volume conversation. Toward the end of our dinner, a loud group was seated next to us, and I could hear their entire conversation, just something to keep in mind. Now, let’s talk about the food. Everything we tried was fantastic. We both ordered ribeyes, the Cowboy and the Damontiago. We requested medium rare, though they came out slightly more on the rare side. That said, the quality of the beef was outstanding, so we didn’t mind at all. The wedge salad was perfectly portioned and topped with the most amazing bleu cheese. Our sides, mac and cheese and mushrooms, were rich, flavorful, and generously sized. A word of caution: the cocktails are delicious but very strong. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I can’t wait to bring out-of-town guests here in the future. Parking is limited to street spaces and a paid lot across the street, but valet service is available and the process was seamless right at the front of the hotel.

The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between timeless luxury and cozy sophistication — but it was the food that truly stole the show. 🔥 We started with the crabcakes and pork belly, and both were out-of-this-world delicious. The crabcakes were golden, crisped to perfection on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth tender inside — fresh, flavorful, and served with just the right touch of sauce. The pork belly was rich, savory, and buttery soft, with a caramelized crust that had us scraping the plate for more. For the main event, we couldn’t resist the Château Briand, and let me tell you — this is a steak lover's dream come true. Expertly cooked and beautifully presented, each slice was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. All sides are served thanksgiving style, enough for the table to share. If you like mushrooms, you will LOVE them here— earthy, buttery, and addicting. I literally kept eating them until I couldn’t anymore. 😂 🫣 😋 We also had the creamy mashed potatoes and crisp asparagus. Not pictured was the oreo baked alaska dessert and 👌 chefs kiss! This was a five-star meal from start to finish. If you're looking for a romantic date night, a special celebration, or simply an unforgettable dining experience in Omaha, Committee Chophouse is a must. 🥩🍷🍽️🔥

Swine Dining BBQ is a must-visit destination for barbecue lovers, renowned for its award-winning dishes and exceptional flavors. This popular eatery has garnered accolades, including top honors at the 4th Annual BBQ Ribstock, solidifying its reputation as one of the best in town. Located on Mission Avenue, Swine Dining BBQ offers a mouthwatering menu featuring smoked ribs, chicken, and an array of sandwiches like their famous pulled pork and brisket.
Absolutely love this place. In town with daughter and she suggested we come here. So happy she did. Smoked pulled chicken is so tender, Smoked sausage may be the best anywhere and those beans with the cinnamon apples cooked right in?!? Sweet, savory and history!!!! So tasty. Price point is decent and service is pretty on point. Heavily recommended to all who love BBQ

I don't really like counter service but for some reason a lot of barbeque places go that route. The food is pretty good for "fast food" barbecue. My favorite thing on the menu is the smoked sausage sandwich. The barbeque beans are pretty good too as are the sweet potato fries. I really wish they served Pepsi instead of coke.

The food was really good. Everything was delicious. The chicken was surprisingly very good, and the onion rings were so yummy. Will definitely come back and try the burnt ends.
Alexandra A — Google review
The food was good. The brisket was amazing!!!Only thing I was not satisfied with was the burnt ends. They were very large. Ive never seen burnt ends like that. More like big chunks of roast beef. Also stringy like roast.

The flavor of everything was incredible! Got the burnt ends, and loved them!

If you're looking for a satisfying BBQ experience, look no further than Swine Dining BBQ Restaurant. The smoked mac and cheese is an absolute must-try - creamy, smoky, and packed full of flavor. And don't even get me started on the baked beans; they're the perfect balance of sweet and tangy with just the right amount of smokiness. From the moment you walk in, you'll be greeted with that delicious aroma of slow-cooked meats and savory spices. The casual atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to kick back, relax, and enjoy some seriously good eats. So grab some friends, order a few plates to share, and prepare to leave feeling completely satisfied. Swine Dining BBQ Restaurant definitely knows how to do comfort food right!

I tried this place for the first time today, and I can confidently say it’s the best BBQ I’ve ever had in Nebraska. The Burnin’ Brisket sandwich was phenomenal, paired perfectly with the Smoked Mac and Cheese, which was equally outstanding. I also grabbed a ½ lb of Burnt Ends to go, and they did not disappoint. The prices are unbeatable for a BBQ joint of this quality. I’m in Lincoln, but I’ll happily make the trip to Omaha just to eat here again! 5-stars across the board.

It was just okay. Ribs & sausage were good. "Smoked" beans were awful. Super sweet with (surprise!) big chunks of apples (wth?!) in them & cinnamon. Apple pie beans, not smoked at all. The cream cheese corn was watery & not very flavorful. Big disappointment given that lunch for 2 was $47.00. We will not return.

Bärchen Beer Garden, located in the Benson neighborhood of Omaha, is a popular spot for those seeking a casual and delicious meal. The beer garden offers a festive atmosphere with a killer patio where patrons can enjoy an array of European beers in an open-air setting. Known for its quality beer selection and German-style ambiance, Bärchen Beer Garden also serves American pub fare to complement the imported German and Belgian beers. The back patio is particularly popular among soccer fans and families from the Benson area.
Stopped in to grab a snack and a beer while warming up from the cold Nebraska winter. We were greeted by a friendly older gentleman who took his time helping us pick the perfect beers to enjoy alongside some amazing pretzels. The place has plenty of seating, and TVs line the walls, so you can catch a game while you relax. Overall, it’s a wonderful spot to visit if you enjoy German-themed food and drinks. Highly recommend it!

We were looking for someplace new to try in town for drinks and snacks/appetizers and hubby found this place online. We were pleasantly surprised! The restaurant is charming and has a great vib and the service was fantastic! The whole staff pitches in and helps the server when they are busy with other tables which I LOVE coming from a long history of being a server/bartender. The Hammer pants fries are absolutely delicious as well as the pretzels! (You get 2 large ones in one order so don't let the price scare you) The Moscow mule are great too and we will definitely be back!

As someone who’s lived in Omaha my whole life, I’ve been to a lot of places that claim to have the best burger in town, and out of all of those places, there is only one that I continue to go back to every time: Bärchen Beer Garden in Benson. These burgers are so delicious! Melty Gouda cheese, juicy Waygu beef patties, pickled red onions, and a house made burger sauce served on a soft and airy potato bread bun. Along with the burgers, they have yummy cocktails, specialty shots, and a long list of beers to try. Every time we have gone, the restaurant has been clean, the staff has been super nice and attentive, and the food has been top notch. The back patio is great for larger groups and a fun place to spend a beautiful day. Next time you’re in the mood for a good burger, definitely go show Bärchen some love!

Love the wide variety of German beers on tap here! The Wagyu burger with Swiss and mushrooms is sanely delish! Always fun place for our gatherings.

Our app was excellent. We went all in on the Hammer Pants Fries. We ordered three different burgers and everyone was pleased. The mushroom swiss was probably the best I've had. Fries are very good. Great beer choices. Loved the hefeweizen. The staff was very nice and service was excellent. Will definitely be back.

I’ve been here twice. Both times I had fun. The first time was a blast. However, that’s largely to do with the people I was there with. This place has a lot of potential, but is not without its problems. The first time I was there, our server was a super nice, adorable guy, but he was terrible at serving. Two separate times, he completely forgot our drink orders. After that, we wouldn’t see him very often. We were sitting the whole way in the back of the outside area. Most of our drinks I just walked up to get myself from the Bar area, because we wouldn’t see him for such long stretches of time. The second time I was there, it was a little confusing over who was gonna take our orders and such, but once they got a server to us, she did a fine job. The second time I was there was on a Wednesday to do trivia. So, I sat inside this time. I could not understand what the trivia master was saying half the time over the speakers. Something needs to be done about that sound system. I don’t know that that’s particularly the responsibility of the restaurant though. The food I had was pretty basic straightforward bar/Gastropub sort of fair. It was well executed though.

This is a German Beer Garden, or just a beer garden that has a lot of German beer. Nonetheless, they have a lot of beer and other drinks. If I was judge and jury of beer gardens, this place would get 6 stars. We, however, went into the place to eat. First things first, you will need to put a card on tab up front....or at your table. Leave it open as there are certain things like a tip, or another can of soda, that you will want to pay for without pulling your card back out. Nonetheless, read the menu and ingredients on each of the burgers and sandwiches. If you pick and choose your ingredients, you will make awesome choices. I had a "Smooth Criminal" minus pickles and onions. WOW. I mean the sauces on this thing was amazing. The fries, they could be better, but the burgers, got to have one. Remember, pick and choose your ingredients. Daughter had a chicken sandwich minus pickles, onions and jalapenos. She loved it. They have excellent pretzels...pretty authentic. Now, the sausages and schnitzel are on the menu but they don't have them. The waitress said they don't serve them anymore. Better check before you go down if you are only wanting sausage or schnitzel. The environment, pretty nice. I took pics of the inside. The back beer garden is pretty nice. I took away a star for a few things. The fries appear store bought. You can tell a lot about a joint by their fries. The missing sausage and schnitzel. If they are on the menu, then serve them. TVs. They had lots of TVs but the Hobbit was playing on one. The Office was playing on another, yet international soccer games were going on. Also, water was served in little plastic cups...not much bigger than a Dixie cup...so bring us a pitcher to help refill the water. Pop in cans (?), I don't know. Fix a few things and it's a 5 star. Anyway, I like the staff and the place was neat and clean. The price, upper side but you get a burger or sandwhich you haven't tasted before. I'd go back without hesitation.

Dundee Dell is a charming neighborhood pub that has been delighting patrons for over 85 years. This inviting spot offers an elevated take on classic pub fare, with a menu that features kid-friendly options alongside its world-renowned fish and chips. The atmosphere is relaxed, making it perfect for families or anyone looking to unwind with a drink from their impressive Wall of Scotch or selection of microbrews.
We had a great time at the Dundee dell. We went for happy hour, we started with the fried pickles. They were delightful, breading was the perfect amount and the ranch that came with it was rather tasty. My wife got the 3 sliders and said they were really good. I went with the fish and chips the two piece and it was more than enough food. Especially with the appetizer. The fish was fried well and nice flaky fish. The tartar sauce did need stirred on arrival as it was a little watery but once stirred was really good! Definitely will be back. Best fish and chips I’ve had since London last year.
Connor L — Google review
When the menu says “world famous,” you know that’s what you have to order. So, all four of us did exactly that. “World famous fish and chips.” It’s very good. The fish is tender and moist, coated with a light, crisp batter. The tartar sauce is excellent, and not like the usual tartar. The fries (chips) are also very good. In fact, I couldn’t stop eating them, even though I should have stopped. The service is very good, and friendly. I should mention that our food came out very quickly. My only complaint is that there was enough background sound to make conversation challenging. If you’re headed to Dundee, you should definitely give the Dell a try. You may have to park a bit away from the cafe and walk.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. The lovely ladies running the bar did a fabulous job, and the drinks were very good. They were friendly and enjoyed answering our questions. We did not eat here, but the people on both sides of us did. The food looked and smelled amazing, but we had just finished dining up the street.

I just love everything about Dundee Dell! I've heard it's one of the oldest restaurants in Omaha. Since it's only about a block from us, we just walk over. I'm not a huge fish and seafood fan, but the fish here is absolutely delicious! Connected to the Dell is a whiskey bar that has live jazz on Thursday evenings. What's not to love? This place is a winner! Tip: Get the "proper cut" fish basket and it's enough for 2 people to share.

Fairly pricey but very worth it for an occasional outing. We had the daily special (beef roast) and the wagyu burger and both where excellent. Burger is honestly top 10 burgers I've ever had, and I've had many burgers. Staff were friendly and service was fast. Restaurant layout is a little strange though.

What a great Omaha gem! British style pub dating back to 1915 . The menu has something for everyone and our Cottage pie and Pesto Chicken Sandwich was perfect! If you are only visiting Omaha for a few days, this is a "must" on your itinerary.

....absolutely worth the visit. There was plenty of parking and we were seated immediately upon arriving. We went for an early dinner, and there were plenty of tables available. Service was just excellent. The food arrived in a timely manner and was all delicious. The fish and chips were the best. Hugh portions and not at all greasey. The curry sauce, is a must try. It's an English curry sauce, not to be confused with your Indian curry flavor!. Definitely going back to try some of the other dishes on the menu.
Javed K — Google review
We were seated right away and had our drink order taken pretty quickly and then, to be frank, we were completely forgotten about. I was finally able to get our server's attention after over 20 minutes. When I somewhat hangrily asked to Please take our order her jaw hit the floor. She immediately realized. We are firm believers in grace and know that everyone makes mistakes. In other instances our server has not wanted to face us but she absolutely owned up to the mistake, apologized profusely, and told us our drinks were on the house. Our food came out quickly. My husband drooled over his Reuben Royal special, declaring it tied with his other Omaha favorite! Even though it's not on traditional rye he enjoyed every component thoroughly. The fabled Fish & Chips also lived up to the hype! Crispy, light, flaky... not greasy at all. I nearly ate all 3 pieces which is unusual for me. Tartar full of Dill and Horseradish, extra lemon on everything. Fries were ordinary, I was surprised that Coleslaw wasn't an option. This also tied for first place on my quest! Our server never again left us for more than a few minutes. Considering how the situation was handled we would have zero reservations returning! Food was Excellent!

Nestled in the heart of Omaha, the Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel is a stunning blend of history and modern luxury. Originally known as the Blackstone Hotel, this iconic establishment has roots dating back to 1916 and was a hotspot during the Roaring Twenties. With its chic rooms, guests can enjoy an outdoor pool, a delightful steakhouse, and two vibrant bars.
We booked this hotel on our way to SD. The pool was the family's highlight! The decor and style is top notch, huge fitness room, bar had a great vibe. Loved how this looks like an older hotel from outside but inside is completely renovated and so pretty, pristine. Honestly my only complaint (and wouldn't deter me from staying here) but the queens bed seemed more like double beds?? I don't know if we accidentally got switched or if the queens just see much tighter than any other queen we stay on. I'm not sure but didn't complain and I'd stay here again just would keep that in mind if have a couple of kids.

Good older hotel,we were there for a wedding, the first line staff was very nice, and helpful. Ask for a room with windows, we had two rooms and the one with windows was better. Pool area was nice but we could not get a chair they were all reserved ahead of time. The location was good, lots of places within walking distance.

Good Experience Staff clearly trained to accommodate each guest and ensure satisfaction. Hospitable to pet dog and good pet amenities. Good people amenities, too. Great restaurant atmosphere. Loved the layout and different seating options. Very well-prepared and tasty food. Small room for the price, but nice. Good WIFI. Clean and well-stocked. Elevators a bit slow, and old-school low-ceiling hallways (expected for older 'historic' building). Valet parking - Well-staffed and obliging. When I was a guest, streets were under construction, and was a bit tough to find the way in. But, once there, easy to navigate due to helpful staff.

This was my first night here and I'm very impressed so far. The staff has been exceptional, the rooms are very thoughtfully designed and clean. We are going to the zoo tomorrow. Apparently its quite the attractions. We brought our toddlers with us and there's plenty of room for them to play outside in the fenced in area. There is a conveniently placed bar near the pool area. My daughter's birthday is today and the staff put together a nice gift basket out for her. There are a couple of restaurants on site. Uber eats, Doordash, and Resy also allow a lot of additional selection nearby. The floors in the hallway by the lobby are designed like zebra stripes, which I like because I know I'm safe from U-Boats. The rates are very reasonable considering the amenities available and the service provided. I will continue to seek out Kimpton properties as my go-to in the future.

Beautiful hotel. Exceptionally appointed throughout. Impeccable service in the hotel rooms, dining facilities and poolside attributes. The Ruben sandwich first created at this hotel formerly named the Blackstone lived up to it's charming and wonderful taste. Specifically help was appreciated in using pool lift by a handicapped person in the party staying at the Cottonwood Hotel. The afternoon Tea Service was splendid.
Sue K — Google review
TEA TIME EXPERIENCE - My friends and I recently visited the hotel for afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday, but unfortunately, the experience fell short of our expectations. We arrived just 10 minutes early and were met with a rather unwelcoming attitude from staff. Although our table was clearly set and ready, we were told, rather bluntly, "Well, it's not ready yet," and left standing awkwardly near the bar area. We had also requested a small birthday celebration with a cheesecake and a song, and were assured this would be no problem. However, neither was provided, and we later learned the server claimed it had been done, which was simply not the case. Maybe she got confused with another table, but the place wasn't really busy. During the tea service, we were only checked on twice — once to serve the tea and once to clear the tray. We were also surprised that there were no refills offered on tea, which felt disappointing considering it was meant to be a tea-focused experience. One of our friends was allergic to oranges, which we tried confirming there were no oranges in the macaroons but the server didn't know and couldn't really give us a set answer. My recommendation would be to also get to know the menu so people with allergies are not in doubt whether or not they can eat one of the 10 appetizer options we had. The server mentioned it might be "Mango" yet the item had extremely zesty flavor. I guess it would just be a safety thing to know the menu. Overall, the service, particularly in the Orleans Room, came across as disinterested and dismissive. On the positive hand, hotel is absolutely beautiful, and the pastries were great.

I stopped at this perfect little shop on the suggestion from Omaha food lovers group on Facebook to find Swedish potato sausage. I like shopping here for convenience. However, the prices have gone up dramatically. Now I only shop here for meat and sale items. They have outpriced me! Not sure what happened to the store but I have never seen a box of cereal cost so much!! Wow! In general, most staff are friendly. Seems they have a high turnover in the kitchen. Will keep shopping here for meat and sale items. Otherwise, they are just too expensive. What a shame.

Wohlner's closing as of September 2024, is a serious blow to Midtown Crossing. Making it less attractive for other businesses, customers, residents, and neighbors. Without a good grocery store will Midtown Crossing become a ghost town with mostly empty stores, apartments, and homes? I truly hope not, it is a delightful area. But is Mutual abandoning Midtown as it moves downtown? Again, I truly hope not.

Gerda's German Restaurant and Bakery is a historic family-owned restaurant in Auburn serving traditional German fare, baked goods and beer. The restaurant has been in operation since 1976 and is a favorite gathering place for students, faculty and locals. The food is excellent and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Not only is the breakfast superb, but the staff is the best in town. It was pouring rain when I left and I was loaned an umbrella I'm returning tomorrow. ( They are closed on Mondays.) The German food is great and the fried chicken is as good as any I got home in Louisiana! Have you had their baked goods?if so, you'll definitely go back for more. Gerta lives on in the spirit of her wonderful staff!

If you know what German food really tastes like, you will quickly know that this food is a weak attempt to replicate the genuine cuisine. My wife and I ordered two schnitzels that cost more than the online menu prices, the American rolls that accompanied the meal were dry and served on Styrofoam plates, the restroom was in need of an upgrade, and the atmosphere and decor were uber kitschy. If you want a positive restaurant experience, be sure to try another venue.

Huber Haus, also known as Beer Corner USA, is a German Bier Hall located in the lower level of Crescent Moon Alehouse. It offers an authentic German beer experience with a variety of German beers on tap. The space has a cool German Rathskeller vibe and often features live music, like polka bands. While the seating may be limited, it creates an opportunity to mingle with new friends. The upstairs bar provides a more spacious setting for those seeking a traditional bar experience.
Ok...little speakeasy in the basement of another bar..... but once you get here it is what you would feel and think an old German bar would be.. great German beers on tap... some even available in the old boot size... ok took the plunge on the boot... if your going to this... they keep your ID and card.. all understandable... but its a great beer. The experience more than worth the money.

VERY disappointed, we stood at the door waiting, two people behind the bar and we were there for 12 minutes before anyone even spoke to us. After waiting and finally getting seated, the gal just threw the menus on the table and walked away, never said a word. We wanted German food, with the name that is German. We left. Very rude people.

Very cool German Rathskeller type of bar: The night that we were there they had a polka band. Space is somewhat limited so plan to share your table with new friends! Parking is adequate around the building and the upstairs bar is a more traditional large and spacious conventional bar. The Huber Haus Can get a bit noisy if there’s a lot of people or drunk Germans in the place! Food is somewhat limited as expected but the bars got lots of beer choices for the connoisseur of German beers! Get das boot if you are really thirsty! I would give it five stars if they turn the sports off of the televisions and put some Hogan’s Heroes on. Or better yet keep the polka music going! You haven’t lived until you’ve heard In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida on an accordion. And after that, you don’t want to.
