Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is a true gem nestled in the heart of Nebraska, sprawling across 130 acres of beautifully designed habitats. This remarkable zoo features the largest indoor desert and rainforest in North America, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in diverse ecosystems filled with exotic wildlife.
This zoo is huge, but so worth going. Probably need 2 days to really go through the entire zoo. I would love to go again. My son loves Elephants and this was his first time seeing them, so precious. Great memories for him and his sister loves Giraffes. The African Safari area is massive. The animals have so much space to roam freely and they look like they are well taken care of! The Jungle area is so pretty inside. The Aquarium was amazing! Great place to hang out in on a hot day in August. The gorillas were a blast to see, their enclosure was amazing. Food in the safari area was expensive for what you get as is all the drinks/snacks you can buy there. I would definitely recommend this zoo and go early when they open. Definitely try not to go when it’s super hot, you’ll be doing lots of walking to see everything. They have a train to ride, a sky lift and a track like ride through the park also. It costs $1.25 per stop.

Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo is truly one of the best zoos I’ve ever visited! The aquarium was my absolute favorite — beautifully designed and so fun to explore. We also enjoyed the Skyfari ride, the train, and the carousel (we got the ticket with the ride pass, which was worth it). It’s also nice that you can bring your own iced coffee or drinks, though there are certain areas where food and beverages aren’t allowed. Watching the gorillas laze around and nap was hilarious, and the seal exhibit was another highlight — we could’ve stayed there for hours. The Zoo Passport was a fun little activity that added to the experience. The zoo itself is huge, so plan ahead and wear comfy shoes. There’s lots of parking and plenty of food options. Overall, such an amazing experience — definitely a 5/5!

I visited in October 2025, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The zoo grounds were beautifully maintained, with vibrant fall foliage that made just walking through the park a pleasure. Everything was spotless — it’s clear the staff takes great pride in the upkeep. The IMAX movies were a pleasant surprise — we saw features on oceans and elephants, and both were informative and visually stunning. Definitely worth the time! Among the highlights were the butterfly pavilion, which was peaceful and magical, and the aquarium, which was absolutely fantastic. Every animal we saw looked healthy and well cared for. The giraffe exhibit is open and scenic, and the elephant enclosure is especially impressive — massive, naturalistic, and clearly designed with the animals’ wellbeing in mind. It was great to see them playing and swimming freely. We also loved watching the sea otters, penguins, and big cats — all active and entertaining. For lunch, we stopped at the Aquarium Café, and the food was much better than I expected from a zoo café. The salad was crisp and fresh, and the chicken pasta was hot, flavorful, and satisfying. This was truly a day to remember. I highly recommend visiting — just be sure to plan for the whole day, because there’s so much to see and do. It’s one of the best zoos I’ve ever experienced.

I have been here a couple of times. Visiting this famous zoo is always a great experience. Here's my review: I went here on a Saturday, arrived around 11:00, and there was plenty of parking. I recommend getting tickets online since arriving at the entrance, there are long lines for getting tickets physically, but going into the zoo took less than 2 minutes. You can also bring some snacks and your water bottle so you don't have to buy the more expensive food or drinks. From there we just enjoyed the zoo and took a lot of pics. And just seeing these animals up close is just awesome. Hope some of you guys find this helpful see ya👋
Fernando R — Google review
Awesome Zoo! Great exhibits and variety of animals. Reasonable priced entry and they encourage bringing your own water bottle to refill. My only advise is get there early and do the desert done and aquarium as some of your first stops as they can get a little crowded
Ana B — Google review
I understand why this zoo is rated #1!my first impression is the rainforest with the monkeys. Man that was such a delight to see. I walked around so much my feet were on fire😊I took a little break by getting on the sky lift ($7 rt) and saw an over view of all the animals. There were so many highlights to this zoo I would highly recommend to everyone! Money well spent!!!
T D — Google review
Fantastic zoo! It was pricey for a zoo, bit it was 100% worth it! I grimaced as I paid the kiosk extra bucks for "all rides" without even knowing what they were. So it for me unlimited tram rides, unlimited locomotive rides, unlimited skyline rides, and I think the carousel too. All of the rides I went on were fantastic for a zoo! Really helped rest my feet so I could see more exhibits. I don't have a bad thing to say about any of the exhibits. Truly one of the nation's best zoos!
Lol P — Google review
Incredible zoo. This comes as no surprise, but it has all one would want and more, from my perspective. On the scorcher of a day we visited, I appreciated that they have misting stands in various locations around the zoo as well as signs that display the signs of heat exhaustion. We went throughout the outdoor portion for as much as we could handle in the heat and we loved all of the animals there were to see. Some old favorites like elephants and giraffes along with a few animals I was not previously familiar with. Loved the butterfly atrium and I'm always a fan of an aquarium. There seemed to be lots of places within the zoo to grab food and drinks as well. Also be sure to stop by their great gift shop. We had a blast!

History Museums
The Durham Museum, located in the grand Art Deco-style Union Station train terminal, offers a captivating journey through Nebraska's history. The museum's permanent and traveling exhibits delve into various aspects of regional heritage, from Native American homes to the development of local landmarks. Visitors can explore interactive displays on Omaha and Union Pacific railroads, including beautifully restored train cars dating back to 1890.
One of the best museums I have visited dedicated to trains! The union station is a magnificent art deco building. Everything inside is well thought out and perfectly curated.
Yel H — Google review
A beautiful old train station with plenty of history and exhibits to enjoy. You can easily spend 1-2 hours in here. Staff is friendly and everything is clean. This is one of the best museums in the midwest!
Isaac A — Google review
Wow! There is a lot more here than initially meets the eye. When you park on the top level of the parking deck, you see the upper of level of the former train station. The crown jewel exhibit is the waiting room with its art deco design... It's truly beautiful. Then on the lower level, you'll learn a lot about Omaha ... It's architecture, it's companies, and it's people. The fun of walking through multiple railroad cars with luxury accommodations. Furthmore, there are so many interesting facts about the city and it's emergence as a critical city.
Gregory — Google review
I’m from Georgia and I was taking my first solo trip to Nebraska. I stopped at the Lauritzen Garden and asked a random couple what they would recommend me visit. They quickly replied the Durham museum. I stepped inside the old train station now museum and I was just blown away by it. I was then warmly greeted at the front entrance. I asked where I should start my experience and the gentleman said I think you should start downstairs where the museum is located. The museum is so well put together!I spent a couple of hours there.
T D — Google review
Wow, this museum is just amazing! Such a gorgeous building, and the exhibits are so interesting and informative. Our favorite by far was the train cars on the lower level. What a treat it was to walk through the beautifully restored Pullman cars! We would definitely visit this museum again!🩷🚂🚂🚂
Jen P — Google review
Worth seeing if you have time to spare while visiting Omaha and want to take a brief step back in time to learn more about what train travel was like in the 1930s. Also includes many other historical exhibits going back to the 1700-1800s. Great museum overall.
Howard S — Google review
So so fun! Always hosting events and presenting new exhibits! Means you can come again and again and not get tired ❤️
Ila G — Google review
Definitely recommend this awesome historical and hands-on Museum! The history of Omaha is fascinating and the exhibits do a wonderful job. And you have to keep going back because their temporary exhibits are phenomenal.

Gardens
Lauritzen Gardens is a 100-acre botanical paradise that showcases an ever-changing array of plants and flowers throughout the year. The gardens feature various garden styles, including herb, rose, and peony gardens, as well as a Victorian garden and a dedicated children's green space. Visitors can also explore the Marjorie K. Daugherty Conservatory with its tropical palm trees and lush greenery.
An absolutely gorgeous place that is a must-see for anyone ages 0-99. I strongly recommend the tram tour as the facility is large and may be too much walking for some. Plus, you get information about the gardens and it's only 5$ for a 50 minute tour. The indoor facilities are clean and beautiful. Plenty of restrooms along the way. There is a super fun outdoor area for the children with a giant net, play houses and a water area. If you go during the winter, the lighted nights are beautiful. The entire indoor area is beautifully decorated with holiday activities for the entire family including letters to write to Santa and fire pits with an option to buy smore kits. You can easily spend the day there during the warmer months and a few hours during the lighted nights. Overall, a great experience and lasting memories.
Sara R — Google review
For those who love being one with nature, this is the place for you! I wish I could have seen more flowers in bloom, but the scenery is worth its weight in silver alone. Most gardens I’ve seen are confined by the layout of the city surrounding it; that’s not the case here. Lauritzen Gardens sits on 100 acres! It’s a wonderful location for a romantic stroll, for children to release energy during a nature scavenger hunt, or for finding peace and solitude. I appreciate what this place offers and visit more cities that use this model when building their gardens.
Alexander V — Google review
A beautiful, charming, peaceful place. The vast gardens were SO beautiful, the pictures I got here were unbelievable. I’m so glad we stopped by here. We walked to all the gardens our feet allowed us to (be prepared for a lot of walking!), and then took the tram to see the rose garden and model train garden. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you Omaha for such a beautiful vacation 💚💛
Sarah P — Google review
This garden has lots to see. I was put off by the high entrance fee, but after the tour, it's justified. If you have limited time, take the ~50-min tram for a small fee. The tram also offers an overview/preview of the garden if you plan to walk the grounds. A visually appealing and hands-on children's garden. Exterior ticket purchasing kiosk at the entrance.
MTT C — Google review
When I travel to a new state I tend to google fun places to visit. Lauritzen gardens popped up several times so I said why not😊My first impression was little children would really enjoy this place! It’s very child friendly. I asked a volunteer as an adult could I get on the rope trampoline. He said of course! He told me some history about the garden and talked about the different flowers. I traveled alone and I felt so comfortable being there. I thought the fun stopped at the tiny homes but there was so much to explore! They are still building on to the back so it’s a lot less gardens. When it’s complete I’m sure it will be beautiful.
T D — Google review
It was wonderful. Lots of walking, but worth it. Few areas under construction, but opening next year. Not crowded & got right in. Took lots of photos. My favorite places were the kids play area & the miniature railway. And just loved all the butterflie.
C. K — Google review
First time to visit in 15 years as a resident and I will say I'm kicking myself I waited this long. Gorgeous grounds that rival and botanical garden I've been to. Tour guides that led our school class on October 13th were phenomenally knowledgeable not just on the grounds but on the plants...
Ryan L — Google review
We are an elderly couple, visiting from Kansas City on a Friday afternoon on a gorgeous Aut day! Loved the gardens and the conservatory, very beautiful and kept up nicely. Will come back to see it in the Spring for sure!

The Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge, also known as "Bob the Bridge," is a modern 3,000-foot cable-stayed footbridge that spans the Missouri River, connecting Omaha and Council Bluffs. This popular bridge is open to pedestrians and cyclists and offers stunning views of the river and the Omaha skyline. It is part of a 150-mile trail network in the area, making it an ideal starting point for exploring on foot or by bike.
Stunning views, day or night. If you like bridges, there’s a chance you’ll like this bridge. I do love me some bridges and this one is a looker for sure. Best of all its one of those spots that you can be standing in two states at the same time~
Frank B — Google review
This was a must-see part of Omaha, truly making my visit to the city a unique experience. The combination of the rich Lewis and Clark history with the majestic nature of the bridge, my hour-long trip here to the other side and back was relaxing and gave me great perspective of the city (and the Iowa side too!). My favorite parts were the troll at the bottom of the bridge and the amazing views of the skyline of Omaha, great picture point!
Evan C — Google review
This is one of the most amazing pedestrian bridges I've visited. The view was breath taking and it was so peaceful. It wasn't overly crowded today (Saturday) so that was a plus. The best part was the signage showing being in 2 states at once. 😁 Definitely recommend to visit at least one time if you are in the area!
Es P — Google review
In August 2025, we visited the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge in Omaha, Nebraska. This bridge spans the Missouri River between Iowa and Nebraska, and it offers stunning views of Downtown Omaha. There was abundant free parking on the Nebraska side. The bridge is about 20 feet wide, and we did not feel afraid or uncomfortable walking across the bridge. There is no cost to walk across the bridge, either. This was a super fun and memorable experience to walk across this bridge and back and enjoy the scenery.
John C — Google review
A gorgeous area accompanying the RiverFront. There is chalk graffiti on the ground, the bridge is breath taking from every angle, and the mighty Missouri River is fun to be looked down upon. Plus, one can stand in two states at once!
Salem K — Google review
Crossed early afternoon without a crowd. The entire bridge is 3,000 feet (slightly over a half mile). There are two ramps entrances with the NPS parking lot offering more parking. Nice views on the N/I divide. If you plan to hang there, expect temperature change and wind to increase. Easy cross for walkers, bikers, and wheelchairs. The Iowa side has a relaxing vibe with a--we are not alone--piece of art you will find irresistible to photograph. Relax once you reach the Iowa side with benches, additional walking paths, and a great view of Omaha.
MTT C — Google review
Very nice pedestrian bridge. The sign says it's 3000 ft. Good views to look out over the river and downtown Omaha. There are trails you can get to on both sides of the river.
Jerry D — Google review
A great place to visit with friends and family. Especially for a nice walk and enjoying the aerial view of the Missouri River and the neighborhood, like the luminarium. Kids enjoy it a lot.

So much fun! We spent 6 hours and my little had the best time. Everything was very clean and there were so many fun things to do. The princesses were a hit as well! Highly recommend and new must visit each summer!
Ronda H — Google review
Amazing place for children. Lots of activities and things they can learn from. There are fun things for adults that can awaken the child in you. A must visit for children when in Omaha.
Cleto C — Google review
It has certainly changed since the last time I visited 36 years ago. My 5 year old loved it! We spent 3 hours there and could have spent the entire day if I had planned appropriately. It has a lot of history, science, and art activities for the kids as well as a ton of different play areas such as hyvee grocery, a Dr's office, mechanic, apartment building, agricultural, etc. Will definitely go back!
Joy C — Google review
The 5 year old and 1.5 year old both had a blast. The attractions easily entertain for half a day. A snack stand upstairs keeps the adults moving. The air/ball attraction was definitely the highlife. Highly recommended!
Tom B — Google review
My kids have enjoyed the Children’s Museum on many of occasions. We especially enjoy visiting the traveling exhibits. There’s something fun for all ages. We love that the museum partners with GetOutPass, our local library, and has annual membership options - it makes things affordable and convenient.
Katie K — Google review
It's a great place for kids to go and learn but I'd like to see some different activities on the first floor. The kids love going and there is a lot to do, it's been the same on the bottom floor for years.
Kristi H — Google review
It's an amazing place for little children. My grandkids love being there. They have so many options for an educational playing tools. Children are learning by playing. I'd recommend all parents to bring their children. Even parents, grandparents are having fun. It's really lovely to see children happy, excited and running one area to other and not wanting to apart from fun.
Cengiz O — Google review
It was back to school weekend. They have activities set out to do but did not have all the supplies needed. Workers were sitting on their phone instead of interacting with the kids and explaining how to do the different projects. The Lego people were the only ones willing to stop and talk and explain what they were doing.

Museums
The Joslyn Art Museum is a captivating blend of 1930s Art Deco architecture and modern design by Norman Foster. The exterior boasts colorful Dale Chihuly glasswork, setting the stage for an eclectic collection of European, American, Asian, Native American, Latin American, and contemporary art inside. Kids can enjoy the Discovery Garden while adults explore outdoor sculptures or visit the Minds Eye Gallery featuring original pieces from beloved children's book illustrators.
It is a free museum. Dogs are allowed on the property, but not in the museum. I recommend picking up a map in the lobby, as there are lots of rooms and hallways. You can very easily spend a couple of hours there. There are certain rooms in the museum that you can't go in without a ticket, but most of the museum is open for anybody. They have beautiful paintings and artifacts. The architecture in the building is amazing, and they have engravings on the outside of the building as well.
Sadie K — Google review
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this museum. In addition to offering stunning architecture, the art itself is eclectic and on par with some of the museums we have explored in Europe. There is also an amazing room downstairs for kids to express their creativity. Truly, this museum offers something for all ages.
Sarah W — Google review
The Joslyn is a great art museum. I saw a Thomas Heart Benton, a Monet, and a Degas. I can't help but compare it to the Nelson-Atkins, even though it is smaller with a smaller collection. Just like the Nelson, it is a few buildings with different styles attached to each other. The buildings are just as beautiful as the art they house. It's a wonderful place to spend an afternoon. I really appreciated that many of the signage was in English and Spanish. The grounds are beautiful.
Kate — Google review
Building is gorgeous and the newer addition is stunning. Everything is so well kept and immaculate. Such an interesting story of the man and woman that started it and I was impressed with the foundations supporting it and the artwork. Free admission supported by The Holland Foundation-so generous!
Mary A — Google review
This was my first time visiting Joslyn in almost 25 years as I no longer live in the area. I grew up in Omaha and visited Joslyn many times over the years for school trips, for family enlightenment of the arts, also for their Jazz on the Green concerts where we would visit the museum before the concerts. Visiting the Joslyn this time I was very impressed with the recent building additions as well as the art collections in the various galleries. Well done Joslyn, this museum would be good fit for any city anywhere. Plus free parking and free admission, wow.
Leon B — Google review
Absolutely stunning museum! I would definitely recommend. Beautiful artwork and wonderful place to spend the afternoon. It is free of charge, clean, and lovely.
Jayne W — Google review
I haven't been to Joslyn since I was a kid, so I was excited to see it again during a recent trip to Omaha. What an AMAZING place if you love art! Even if you dont care for art, the building itself is truly spectacular and worth seeing!

A Wonderful Visit to the Joslyn Art Museum My recent visit to the Joslyn Art Museum was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a feeling of serenity and awe. The museum truly lives up to its reputation as a hidden gem, and I was so pleasant inside. The space is thoughtfully laid out, allowing each piece to breathe and command attention, and it felt like beautiful works of art were in every corner imaginable. One of the most captivating pieces I encountered was a painting made of broken pottery. The artist's ability to transform discarded shards into a cohesive and beautiful image was nothing short of brilliant. The texture and depth created by the uneven surfaces gave the work a unique dimension that a traditional painting could never achieve. It was a powerful reminder that beauty can be found in the most unexpected places. Another highlight was the striking black and white room. The simplicity of the color palette only served to amplify the dramatic impact of the artwork. The interplay of light and shadow, combined with the bold lines and forms, created a visually stunning and deeply immersive experience. It was a space that encouraged contemplation and a different way of seeing. But perhaps the most whimsical and imaginative piece was a sculpture made up entirely of clear buttons. It was a testament to the artist's creativity and patience. The way the light caught the multitude of buttons, each one a tiny lens, created a shimmering, ethereal effect. It was a playful yet sophisticated piece that brought a smile to my face and left me marveling at the sheer ingenuity behind it. Overall, I can't express enough how wonderful it is that we have such an amazing art gallery. The Joslyn Art Museum is a true treasure, offering a diverse and engaging collection that appeals to a wide range of tastes. It's a place where you can lose yourself for hours, discovering new favorites around every corner. I left feeling inspired, refreshed, and grateful for the opportunity to experience such a beautiful collection. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an enriching and enjoyable outing.

Joslyn Castle & Gardens, located in Omaha, Nebraska, is a Scottish-inspired castle and garden dating back to 1903. The estate was built by George and Sarah Joslyn, who were prominent figures in the city's history. George's successful career as the president of a large newspaper service organization made him the richest man in Nebraska at the time.
Was a great tour $17? Is all it cost me? And I'll tell you, it's worth it. The tour took two hours. This is just a very small fraction of all the photos I took most of the light fixtures senses on the first floor are all originals.

Peg was a superlative tour guide with an exuberance of knowledge of the family and the castle's historical and cultural ramifications. The foundation has taken capacious and copious amounts of fervor to revitalize this epochal icon of the Midwest. Rare and extinct woods, Victorian and Scottish milieu throughout this home, make it a haven for those interested in the arts, architecture, and red-lettered artifacts of the early 20th century. Will come again, especially once the “man-cave” is restored.

In August 2025, we visited the Joslyn Castle & Gardens in Omaha, Nebraska. This home is on the National Historic Register and it offers some inside tours. We walked around the exterior and in the gardens, and we enjoyed our self-directed tour. The castle architecture is amazing, and they have nearby buildings, gates, and fences that maintain the castle theme. The Joslyn Castle was a great place to visit, and it was a fun and memorable experience.

My wife and I came down from Sioux City, IA, to Omaha to celebrate her birthday weekend back in late August. This castle looked like an interesting place to visit, so we decided to give it a try. Molly was a fantastic tour guide, and the Scottish style of architecture was beautiful. I found the chandeliers to be really cool, which explains why I took so many pictures of them! 😁 If you are a history lover like me and are looking for a great tour at a reasonable price, do yourself a favor and tour this lovely place!

The woodwork and detail that went into the building of this once private home are absolutely stunning. It is a long tour of a little over 2 hours but very interesting and well worth it. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the castle's history including its former residents.

We came all the way from ND. It was absolutely fun. More than what we thought. price aren’t that bad. Staff are very Nice and humble. You can play go cart and other stuff as much as you want. The best part was they even have a toddlers indoor play area. Love this place ! Amazing staff! Good for kids! My 6 years old son rated them 10 out of 10 . ..Thankyou for making our vacation memorable 🙏

Kids had so much fun! Best day together in a long time! Only thing is that the food is way to expensive. I would highly recommend going to fun plex this summer of you have kids of all ages. They even have an adult area a swim up bar. Just an all around fun place to be!

We took our 5 year old son there, and the staff was nothing but kind to him. He is nonverbal and on the autism spectrum. The staff were patient and understanding of this. We would really love to come back once more before the summer is over!! We especially loved the experience we had with the kid rides, the operator of the cars comforted and me and reassured me that Gavin would be completely ok! And he was! That was the first time he ever rode on a kid ride all by himself!!

We went for the swim up bar and we were not disappointed. I was a little worried about cleanliness but everything was very nice. The bathrooms were some of the Best I have seen at a water park/pool. Drinks were nice and reasonable priced. Next time we visit we agreed we would like to go when they have the live music and the lazy river is 21 and over. We also will try ordering food to be delivered from other snack bars. We did enjoy watching the big bucket dump on kids in the splash zone. Overall a very nice time.

Event venue
Located in the north downtown neighborhood of Omaha, CHI Health Center is a prominent convention center and arena that hosts a wide range of events including music concerts, comedy shows, theater performances, and sporting events. With state-of-the-art facilities and a seating capacity of up to 17,500 patrons, it is the city's largest arena and a popular venue for major music tours as well as Creighton basketball games.
We always love going to CHI! The atmosphere is ecstatic and it’s such a great arena size! Super easy to navigate to your section and be able to use the restrooms, get food and drinks, and purchase merchandise. Going through security is usually a breeze. Food and drinks are always on the higher side, but it’s an arena so it’s pretty much like that anywhere. It is a cashless arena, so make sure to take your debit/credit card. (Warning, strong use of flashing/strobing lights in my videos, so those with epilepsy may want to avoid).

Relatively clean. Paid parking was easy. Seeing a show in the round was an experience, however I don't think it was listed that way when we got tickets. The seats in section 200 seemed narrower than average seats. When you go to pay for something at vendors the 'tip first' option isn't very efficient, slows down places like "fast break."

This is one of the best college sports venues I’ve been to in a long time. The stadium appears to be on the newer side. Easy, cheap parking and short walk from the parking lot. There are a lot of good concession stands, and the place is spotless
Dan R — Google review
Went to the Linkin Park concert here on 8/29. It was an incredible show and the venue was great for it. They played in the middle of the pit and we had a ferocious mosh pit going, it was a lot of fun. What was less fun was an interaction I had with a member of the staff at the event. All were very helpful and courteous. However, when in line for merchandise to support the show, me and my friends waited about 25 minutes in line and got to the front kiosk same as everyone else, when all of a sudden the barriers are moved over a few feet and a line is made for a fast-pass type of entry to the merch stand. A family then barges in front of us when we were standing in front of the register about to ask for merchandise. When they finish and bump us on the way out of the merch line with no clear exit route, I then step up to order, but am met with a rejection of service by an older cashier named Sandy. She very rudely turned me away and stated that “they have bar codes” and did not show any sympathy or offer a solution when I told her I and everyone behind me have been waiting in line to get merch. I then think to ask the line next to me on the left if I could possibly cut in behind someone at the line, and I am very kindly allowed in to purchase with the register adjacent. This would have been the end of a generally unpleasant incident, had I then not picked out my merchandise and got ready to pay to overhear Sandy complaining to the patrons in the priority line how “she was yelled at”. I did not raise my voice to Sandy, I simply asked if we could not just go every other person until our line was cleared, to which I was simply turned away and subsequently ignored with no recourse or alternative that I then had to figure out myself. If you’re going to turn away a customer who waited in line like everyone else, at least have the courtesy not to lie about their behavior, which was witnessed by others, right in front of their face. This was very unprofessional and quite frankly felt deliberately cruel for Sandy to fluster me by leaving me on my own in a crowded merch line when I had waited and watched as a priority line got spontaneously created next to me. If the line had been there from the start then it would have been different. To turn me away and then claim to be yelled at when I tried very hard not to overly escalate the situation, was disingenuous at best and outright mean at worst. I did not appreciate the way Sandy handled that situation, and the interaction made an otherwise amazing concert have a stain on it. I reiterate, everyone else, but Sandy, was delightful.

Saw Linkin Park here with my daughter on 8/29. Facility was nice although entry was a bit strange compared to what we are use to. We got pretty far in to the building before hitting a metal detector. Which is strange, considering this world we live in and people bringing backpacks and other things in. Concert was great and staff was on point. Exiting the parking lots was a bit of a nightmare but to be expected with crowd of that size.

Fontenelle Forest, located just 15 minutes south of downtown Bellevue, is a natural haven offering a variety of activities for families and nature enthusiasts. The area features hiking trails, picnic facilities, and a mile-long ADA accessible boardwalk with scenic views of the Missouri River and downtown skyline. Visitors can explore wildlife in the raptor woodland refuge or participate in high ropes course activities at Tree Rush Adventures.
LOVED this place!! Added so many birds to my life list here (I’m new to bird watching, so this was very exciting!) Plan on making a trip back up to the area specifically to come back and hike the longer trails. Trails are very clearly marked and very easy to navigate. Nature center offers great history and ecology education and has some incredibly friendly staff!

I haven’t visited in years and we decided to stop by for some exploring in nature time with our cousins. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Fontenelle Forest is part of the Blue Star Museum program. Up to 6 people with active duty military identification can get free admission. The gift shop is well organized and has some cute items. The bathrooms were clean. It had rained the night before, so some trails were muddy and the slides were wet. The staff were so helpful in giving us ideas for what hikes to do. The boardwalk is so nice!! The kids had a great time! We loved seeing the birds and a lady came and spoke to the kids all about them and was so patient with their questions. We did not do the ropes course. It looked like it was well made and large, but couldn’t justify the really expensive price per person.

The Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts is a versatile warehouse space that hosts innovative exhibitions, lectures, and live/work residency programs. It is renowned for showcasing some of the finest contemporary art in Omaha and offers engaging education programs along with an International Residency Program. The center's rotating collections feature diverse artworks such as paintings, drawings, sculptures, and room-sized installations. As a hub for budding artists from around the world, it provides scholarships and on-site housing to foster creativity.
It was cool to come in through the non chalant entrance and descend down the brutalist staircase to check in and then seamlessly to the service bar. There's a perfect wind around to the stage area or on to the very clean bathrooms. Very pleasurable encounter at the merch table. Low key sales are refreshing and intelligent these days. The only suggestion of improvement I would make is to possibly adjust the AC output as the compressors are really loud towards stage rear. Pretty sure that's a non negotiable and the center is already aware, but just know that it was disruptive.

Wonderful place for art lovers, offering a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere. The gallery showcases a diverse collection of contemporary and traditional artworks, making it a must-visit for enthusiasts. They regularly conduct engaging events, workshops, and exhibitions, providing a platform for artists and art lovers to connect. However, parking can be challenging during peak hours, so it's advisable to arrive early or use public transport. The art classes for kids are fantastic—my children thoroughly enjoyed the interactive sessions and creative activities. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall experience. A great cultural hub, though better parking facilities would make it even more convenient. Highly recommended for families and art admirers!"

My wife and I came down from Sioux City, IA, to Omaha to celebrate her birthday weekend back in late August. We were looking for something a bit different to do, so I reserved two spots at the free event called "Experimental Music Performance: Nadia Botello’s Other Channels with Omaha Symphony." We got to the Bemis Center about 40 minutes before the performance so we could have a little time to look at the displays. The displays were very thought-provoking and captured the human experience well. (See my photos and captions) It was also really nice that they served complimentary drinks with the option to donate. I happily gave a small cash donation. My wife and I each had a LaCroix, and both the flavors were delcious and refreshing on a warm Saturday afternoon. The string quartet's performance was beautiful and relaxing. Thank you to the Bemis Center staff and the talented musicians for helping me to give my amazing wife a relaxing birthday. We hope to come back to the Bemis Center soon!

Gene Leahy Mall at The RiverFront is a 10-acre urban park located in downtown Omaha. It has undergone a major renovation and now features lush gardens, walking paths, a playground, lagoon, waterfall, and an amphitheater. The park spans from 13th to 8th streets between Douglas and Farnam streets and is surrounded by towering buildings. Formerly known as Central Park Mall, it was renamed after former Omaha Mayor Eugene A.
Such a cool place! Outdoor Skating rink, hammocks allover the place to rest, fire pits, pond with area to walk around it, cool lit up bridge where you can see the city, slides, water area and plenty of places to sit. There were food trucks and a 4th of July symphony and fireworks, it was a great experience. There is a really neat kids play area, a dog park and public bathrooms (until like 10pm). They close the park like at 10 and everyone has to leave, they have lots of security and law enforcement down there.

What an amazing place, so much history here. It was nice to listen to the volunteers talk about the ship or the submarine. It's free as well. You can leave donations as well. I spent around 2 hrs here. Most of it was on the ship you can tour and the submarine. It's is well worth the trip here.

Very cool place. It is down a minimum maintenance road that looks like you are going the wrong way... you are not. The road is closed to the public when Freedom Park is not open. You drive on this road for about 1 mile. Alot of cool stuff, and the volunteers were very knowledgeable and kind. Unfortunately, due to some bad flooding, the submarine is not open for tours which is pretty obvious it is surrounded by piles of dirt, but you can see it from the ship. The ship was absolutely amazing and had a ton of neat things to see. We brought 2 small children and they were fascinated by it all. We spent about 1 hr looking at all the things.

Absolutely stunning! Had a great time. Great place to relax, talk with friends, and enjoy the outdoors. The place has adult size swings, teeter totters, slides, and a roller skating area. We went there on a Saturday afternoon and came back on Saturday night. There were loads of people, but it did not seem crowded. There are plenty of walking paths next to water features and also plenty of places to sit. There are even oversized hammocks to enjoy. We also enjoyed the area early Sunday morning it was very peaceful. Whenever we stay in Omaha, we will book a room close to this fantastic getaway. Great area in Omaha. Never find anywhere better than this. The vibrant community, friendly neighbors, and fantastic amenities make it a perfect place to call home. With easy access to parks, restaurants, and shopping, there's always something to do. Families thrive here, and the schools are top-notch. Whether you're enjoying a sunny day outdoors or exploring the local culture, Omaha has a unique charm that captivates everyone who visits. It's truly a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.

Really amazing spot down town . Big open area and it’s not all the same things to look at . Lots to look at and lots of open space . It’s a really great spot to take your kids as they do have a playground too! It’s kept very clean and there is a rink that you can also rent roller skates or in winter ice skates from what I was told. They have lots of flowers around and trees and they do have shaded spots as well it’s not all straight in the sunlight. It’s an easy walk and fairly handicap accessible. We have kids under 7 and they walked fine with us on the paths. They do have restrooms near the park for kids not sure on other spots .

I’ve always loved taking my kids here — it’s so peaceful and full of open space and nature. We love walking along the river and going back and forth between Iowa and Nebraska. The new expansion and growth are incredible! The updates have made it even more beautiful and welcoming. I absolutely love it here now.
Sadie J — Google review
This area is clean, safe and an excellent place to take long walks. There are also many places for kids, a dog park, roller skating rink, hammocks, fire pits with chairs, other sitting areas. Just a great place to walk around and / or relax!
Holly S — Google review
Very mixed feelings on this. It’s a great playground and *finally* playgrounds in the US are taking note of the seemingly everywhere else standards of fenced in and one entrance. I’m sure this is all nice when you know this place. But wow visiting and trying to find your way around? Good. Luck. Signage is extremely lacking, and they made no effort to update Google maps with this area. I have no idea how new this area is, but it’s wildly inaccurate. Lakes in places they clearly don’t exist anymore. Pathways that aren’t shown. In park maps that only cover a small area and no idea what’s beyond that. So is this a great area once you’ve dragged you whining kids around far too much just trying to find how to get into the playground that you can see? Yeah. But good luck getting there.
Tim T — Google review
This park & monuments were much cooler than I ever could have imagined. So many near features to appeal to kids as well as adults that you can't just find at any old basic park. We easily spent an hour here but could definitely have spent more time if it was a warmer season and the water play features were running. Great view of the river and awesomely educational monuments. Tons of free parking right next to the park and bathrooms were immaculately clean for public bathrooms. You have no good reason not to make this a stop amongst your Omaha plans!

It’s very beautiful museum, very well maintained with lots of cool unique historical details. I had my wedding there recently, and it was so beautiful. The people who maintain the museum were there to help out and they were so kind and absolutely lovely, the whole day was just really wonderful. This is a great little museum if you want to learn more about the era or see some beautiful period architecture AND it’s also a lovely venue for small weddings.

Beautiful home inside and out wonderful way to spend a couple hours the woman working there was very very knowledgeable and so kind. She answered all of our questions and was a welth of information. Can't wait to come back in the summer to see all the lovely gardens that surround the house!

The General Crook House Museum is a hidden gem! This Italianate style home is on the campus of the Omaha Metropolitan Community College. There is street parking and a parking lot available. If the door is locked during opening hours, ring the door as instructed by a sign on the door. We were greeted by Robin, a wonderful woman who wealth of knowledge about the house is unparalleled! She shared stories about residents of the military post and events of its time. We spent more time than we expected walking the rooms that have been restored with Victorian decor and furnishings. Ceilings, wallpapers, carpets, furniture, and items of the time period all combine for an incredibly rich experience. Be sure to look for the rare Treasury seal on the door knobs and antique butt hinges which allow the door to open 180 degrees. The outdoor gardens are worth the time too.

This is a lovely, well- maintained historical home, always beautifully decorated for the Christmas season. Staff and volunteers are so welcoming, polite, and helpful. The reception room is one of our favorites; it includes a small Steinway piano and a Regina music box that plays songs using large metal disks. The sound is extraordinary! My 85 year old mother got an unplanned workout going up the many steps to the front door, because I hadn't even thought to ask if there was a handicapped entrance - which there is around back, thank goodness! (We'll be sure to go that way on our next visit.) There is also a small elevator inside if you are unable to walk up or down the impressive staircase. The Crook House is very much worth a few hours of your time, and you can see something new on each visit.

We had an amazing adventure here! From the moment we got up the stairs from the street we were greeted by our friendly hostess. She gave us a tour guide and we were able up learn about the facility at our own pace. This house has an amazing history. A visit here is definitely one that should be on anyone's bucket list. Beautiful and educational.

Awesome historical venue. Perfect for a wedding/party/event for less than 50. The garden was stunning. All of the guests could not believe how beautiful it was. Inside is a large well kept historic house that held just enough people for our wedding. Has a kitchen and bathrooms both upstairs and downstairs. Even has an elevator! Both of the museum volunteer workers were awesome to work with and both very helpful. I recommend visiting, not only for a awesome place to have your event, but just to learn about Omaha's past as well. Please leave a donation if you do!

The park features a 3.3-mile trail that includes an impressive bridge section, making it perfect for hiking and cycling. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as boating, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, and swimming in the scenic lake.
It was a nice day with hardly any wind. It was 36 degrees out. I did 3.70 mi 1h 6m it took me. I parked over by Hawk field. There is a dirt trail over to the concrete trail that goes around the lake. It's a very nice trail, well kept. There is a boat dock here, and you can fish. Nice views from the dam looking at the lake. On the other end of the lake their is a floating walk bridge across the lake. There were a lot of people here with dogs. I bet it is very nice here in the summer.

Standing Bear lake has a paved walkway. Lovely trails speckled in wild flowers. 🌻🌼 Floating walkway is closed on 06/24 and open 7/24. Back on 09/24 just go the other way around and it's a brand new walk. A great mix of woodsy trails and lake views.

I am new to the area and was so happy to find this park. Parking is convenient and plentiful. Clean and well kept. Path is super easy to follow and love the bridge!

Nice and decent. It is usually regularly busy though with fishing and dog walkers kayaking hiking biking people on scooters. The fish aren't very big but the kids have a lot of fun. Catching little bluegil and baby bass. It's quiet and pretty well taken care of for the most part.

The canoe/SUP launch area cannot be used at all. It has alot of thick algae in that area. People were using a boat ramp/launch thing on a different side of the lake.

It’s a beautiful place for a short trekking and birds watch. There are plenty of different kinds of place where kids can explore like how the seeds of the plants spread across different places and what are the different mechanisms of that. The photoshoot points for ducks are amazing and you can even see many turtles among there. There is a single cabinet rest room available and it is moderately clean. The crowd is very less and if you are a bird watcher or just to enjoy with the kids this is one of the best place to come and it is free for everyone.

Urban wildlife sanctuary! My birding group was very lucky to be there on a volunteer day (they had the interpretive office open without appointment), and were able to see many bio-facts and purchase the most adorable matching tshirts. Even when the office isn't open, there is a clean portapotty in the free parking area. The butterfly garden plants were not blooming yet, and new spring foliage was just coming in, and we saw 21 species of birds, 2 species of mammals, 1 (maybe 2) species of amphibians, and 1 turtle species! Oh, and it's free to visit 😀 I absolutely recommend Heron Haven, and if you have a few dollars to donate, do what you can!

In Omaha, the Kiewit Luminarium is a new and exciting museum that offers an interactive and educational experience for both adults and children. The museum features numerous hands-on stations suitable for all ages, as well as live demonstrations such as cow eye dissections. With its indoor playground and two levels of exhibits, it's not overwhelming but still engaging. On certain evenings, themed events are held with additional displays like preying mantis and moth exhibits.
Loved our visit. The kids had so much fun exploring the building, and I don't think we experienced half the stuff hiding upstairs. They have things I think would interest kids from about 5 to teenagers. It is definitely a step up from your average children's museum. Every area is about hands-on learning for the kids. You can make a dam and see how water rides sand at the water table, you can play with a pendulum, and you can make music in different areas. Everything is very modern and colorful, too. We stayed for about 2 hours and managed to catch a program where the children made clay nature impressions. It was really fun to see the kids touch all the different items and then use them to make art. Overall, a really fun place to visit. If you're local, I can really see the value in getting the yearly family pass so you can visit regularly.
Prickles H — Google review
2 floors of interactive exhibits. Each one had educational information and many of them had staff nearby to help, explain further and educate us even more. It was clean and nice inside. No wait to enter, exhibits weren't crowded. We waited only a few mins for some exhibits. We went on a Sat afternoon. There is a snack shop on site with decent options and a play area on the 2nd floor. Overall great experience but I don't think I would pay to do it again.

If you love science and new technology, you’re gonna love this place. My favorite part was the stage place, drawing and taking a pic of us and choosing our fake name. Kids will definitely have so much fun here.

I was able to get a Leisure Pass from the Bellevue Library for the Kiewit Luminarium. I took my three kids (16, 15, & 12) and we spent about four hours exploring every part of the Luminarium. Everything is very hands-on, allowing visitors to test things on their own. There's a plethora of science concepts everywhere, teaching you without really teaching you. The Luminarium is the epitome of scientific exploration. Just when you think you're done, you find even more cool things you missed. I've been a huge fan of science museums ever since my childhood days visiting the Museum of Science and History in Florida, but the Kiewit Luminarium is definitely my new favorite!
Jessica C — Google review
Unpopular opinion but this place was boring. There was a few cool displays but it was myself, my 18 year old niece, and 2 year old granddaughter and we were all not impressed. The prices are outrageous for what it is!
Amy B — Google review
Wow! What a fantastic place! Loaded with all different types of hands-on experiences for learning, Luminarium is one of the absolute best places to visit in Omaha! The learning is FUN, and every single kid and adult who was there was completely engaged! The activities are truly fun and awe-inspiring! It was worth every cent we paid to get in. There's a café (Fig) on site, so if you get hungry, you can have a small snack or a complete lunch. It's rather expensive, but it's quite tasty. Parking is a challenge unless you get there early. There's an outdoor garden and an outdoor playground, too (although it was a tad bit warm on this 96° day, especially in the metal slides.) We stayed far longer than we originally planned and still didn't get in every activity!

The Orpheum Theater, a historic venue dating back to 1927, is an ornate building that hosts a variety of events in Omaha. It collaborates with the Holland Performing Arts Center to bring traveling Broadway productions, music, dance, and outdoor programming to the city. The theater also supports local theaters that produce excellent shows based on scripts created by local writers. Additionally, it is home to the country's largest community playhouse.
The Orpheum theater is beautiful. Its interior is gorgeous and the sound is perfect. Each chair is comfortable and it is designed so that everyone is able to see the stage. I am handicapped and was treated with such kindness and care down to the individual help to my seat and help with my coat. It was easy to attend and my experience was wonderful. The show was incredible and my husband and I will definitely be returning to the Orpheum again. The staff made my experience extraordinary thank you so very much.

Nice venue, had great seats. Only upside is the rows are very "thin" per say and if you are what they consider a bigger individual. The seats are very narrow and not much leg room except if you're on the end and can stretch out your legs! Pics are from "Hadestown" and Spring Bling 402

Review of Penn & Teller – Omaha, August 14th I attended the Penn & Teller show at the Orpheum Theater in Omaha on August 14th, and I left feeling extremely disappointed—not just for myself, but for the five friends I brought along. The show was underwhelming from the start. Rather than presenting the world-class magic they are known for in Las Vegas, most of the material consisted of tricks you could purchase in a magic shop. The same mentalism effect was repeated four different times with only slight variations, giving the impression of filler rather than creativity. Teller, once known for his sharp presence and artistry, now seemed tired and out of shape. Penn, on the other hand, spent much of the 90-minute show talking his way through weak routines, offering more chatter than magic. His constant use of the phrase “Jesus Christ,” along with several pointed, mocking biblical references, felt mean-spirited and disrespectful toward Christians in the audience. Instead of clever satire, it came across as vindictive. Even the so-called “grand finale” was a letdown—a video replay of the very show we had just watched, only run in reverse, while Penn played the drums. For performers with a combined net worth of over $400 million, this level of production felt cheap, uninspired, and insulting. At best, the show looked like it cost a few thousand dollars to throw together, and at worst, it came off as nothing more than a blatant money grab. Doing simple card tricks in front of a sold-out theater audience was another clear signal that Penn & Teller were not bringing their A-game to Omaha. None of the material was from their Las Vegas repertoire, making it obvious they weren’t “practicing in their own backyard” but instead testing weak filler content on Midwestern audiences, as though we wouldn’t notice or care. To be fair, I do respect Teller’s generosity in donating the Abbott House to the Omaha Magic Society, which shows his love for magic and the community. Unfortunately, that goodwill doesn’t carry over into the current stage act with Penn Jillette. In short, the performance was a slap in the face to long-time fans and new audiences alike. Penn & Teller appear to be coasting on past fame rather than delivering the quality that once made them leaders in magic and entertainment. I regret spending the money on tickets—not just for myself, but for the friends I invited. This show was nothing more than a bad joke on the public. Rating: ★☆☆☆☆

Omaha Performing Arts is a collaboration between the historic Orpheum Theater and the new Holland Performing Arts Center, offering a diverse range of events in Omaha. From traveling Broadway productions to music, dance, and outdoor programming in the summer, there's something for everyone. The city also boasts small local theaters that deliver outstanding productions based on scripts by local writers. These theaters showcase passionate directors, actors, and behind-the-scenes talent dedicated to Omaha's local theater scene.
Admittedly, it not the most reverent, beautiful venue. It’s not Carnegie Hall or anything. But the acoustics are outstanding. It’s very easy to find parking and get to your seat (which seems bigger than most with plenty of legroom, and comfortable). Omaha should be proud to have the center in their city.

Looking forward to going back in the future!

I stood in line for the Hamilton tickets sale on one of the hottest days of the year. The staff at Omaha Performing Arts figured everything out to make it as easy and pleasant as possible to navigate the huge sea of ticket buyers. They gave me a wristband and a clipboard with a form for the ticket options: dates, times, seat locations, costs, etc so I could pre-plan my purchase. Then I waited in the shade at tables and chairs which were set up for the buyers where they provided cold water to drink. I never actually got in line until my wristband number was called, and then it took about 45 minutes to go through the account verification/creation process and purchase my tickets. I was the 290th box office ticket buyer while there were 20,000 buyers waiting online, and it took me about an hour and a half to get Hamilton tickets. Good seats at that.

Nestled in the heart of Council Bluffs, the Union Pacific Railroad Museum is a treasure trove for history enthusiasts and curious travelers alike. This captivating museum invites visitors to journey through more than 150 years of railroad heritage, showcasing interactive exhibits that bring to life the story of America's railroads. From the inception of the first transcontinental railroad in 1862 to significant figures like Abraham Lincoln, each display offers a glimpse into how railroading has evolved over time.
A ton of railroad history in a super cool building. I'm by no means a railroad buff, but this was a really neat place. If you're looking for actual railcars/engines, this isn't the place for you. If you want to see various other items that have to do with railroad history and enjoy reading about railroad history, then this IS the place for you. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit. Street parking with meters. The museum is free, with a donation box at the entrance.

The Museum is both entertaining and educational, and can nearly transport you to the year 1869. I watched the TV show, Hell on Wheels, about the transcontinental railroad. Then found myself in Omaha, NE on a work trip and make the short drive across the boarder to Iowa to visit the museum. You can spend hours in here.

Lots of different trees, shrubs, flowers, etc. We saw several different birds in the area too. The lake is beautiful and peaceful. There were also some people fishing there. Just a wonderful, serene park to go to if you just need to decompress or get your steps in. Nice way to see some of God's natural beauty here.

Peaceful Nature Escape in the City! Zorinsky Lake Park is one of the best spots in Omaha to relax and reconnect with nature. The walking and biking trails are well-maintained and offer beautiful views of the lake. Perfect for morning walks, bird watching, or just enjoying the fresh air. There’s plenty of open space, picnic spots, and even play areas for kids. A peaceful getaway without leaving the city! 🌳🚶‍♀️🌅

Great location and awesome playground But people has to be careful There is a trench close by playground that is hidden by grass and could lead to someone fall and get injured. There should be some kind of fencing around it (photo below)

We are from out of town, with family living in Omaha. We always visit the park on every trip to our family. Nice trails and fishing and canoeing spots. Bathrooms are clean and I'm good order. Kiddie playground and lots of trees in some parts of it. A refreshing way to get away from the 'burbs and the downtown.

Fun pool for the family! We went on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't very busy. I am sure it is a busy place on the weekend but during the week it was roomy. Great time for kids of all ages. They have lots of lifeguards on duty. The lounge chairs are comfortable and they have shaded areas which is very nice. They also have picnic tables under trees on grassy areas. They allow you to bring food and drink in just ask that you pick up before leaving.

The Gerald R. Ford Birthsite and Gardens, located in Omaha, is a presidential memorial commemorating the birthplace of the 38th President of the United States. Situated on the former site of his grandparents' home, it features a rose garden inspired by the White House's famous garden. Additionally, visitors can explore an exhibit kiosk dedicated to Gerald Ford's life and presidency.
Such a beautiful monument! The flower garden dedicated to Fords wife is so peaceful. A great place to visit! I was present when they put the time capsule in the ground in 1976.

There are some nice exhibits and gardens here; however, more maintenance is needed for much of the grounds. We liked the monument stones which detail past U.S. Presidents, Nebraska governors, etc.; nevertheless, they need to be updated for recent elections.

This was really cool, I just have to understand we visited during winter. Hopefully they will get it cleaned up but still very cool

Very educational. Learned a lot about President Ford. Turns out, he was never elected for vice president, nor for president. Very well maintained gardens. It is also in a beautiful older neighborhood. The education center is open Monday-Friday by appointment only.

As someone who loves history and politics, I was really excited to visit the birthplace of President Gerald Ford! Unfortunately it's underwhelming. I was disappointed that the display cases were covered in large amounts of spider webs and don't appear to be maintained. I am glad I stopped and would like to go back when the rose gardens are in full bloom.

It’s a beautiful garden with some nice little exhibits highlighting Gerald and Betty Ford. It’s too bad some of the stone and features of the garden aren’t kept in better shape. It’s a nice space!

Google maps says this is open from 7:30 am to 10 pm. When we got there, the door was locked and there was a sign with a phone number saying open by appointment only. The outdoor garden was open and it was a small, pleasant area, but seeing the rest was too inconvenient.

The organization provides entertainment, thought-provoking stories, and first-hand involvement for audiences and participants.
The Omaha Community Playhouse is a Fun and easily accessible venue for local plays. I took my granddaughters to see Finding Nemo Jr. The seats were great and sound quality was excellent and the young actors were enthusiastic in their performances. We all enjoyed the hour long performance.

We saw Grease on Friday night. The play was super. I've seen Grease several times at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater in Minnesota, and numerous times at various community theaters & high school musicals. This was my favorite rendition!! The actors who played Jan (Sophie Thomas) & Rizzo (Tatiana Sandoval) really were phenomenal. I have never seen either role played so well & with such conviction. A shout out to Shemar Toussaint!! He was the reason we came to this performance and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing him in his element.
Sonya — Google review
They should have advertised better how the grease show is not anything like grease. It is a spoof or parody and awful. It was not grease what so ever. I was so disappointed and cannot believe it was that expensive for such a horrible play that was absolutely nothing like the movie.

The Rose theater was beautifully decorated and the quartet sounded wonderful. We took our adult kids and their grandparents and everyone had a wonderful time. The set was just under 2 hours which was actually perfect. We will definitely do a show in the future.

I had a really great experience seeing Finding Nemo at the Rose Theater. My only issue is that the front row is essentially underneath the stage. As an adult, I had a hard time seeing some of the play. My child next to me had no chance, even with a booster seat. They had to stand or be held up for the entire performance. I understand that's the nature of front row seating in some theaters, but some advance warning would have been nice, especially considering this is distinctly a children's theater.

If you're on the lookout for a family-friendly adventure, The Amazing Pizza Machine is an absolute must-visit! Spanning an impressive 60,000 square feet, this all-indoor venue combines dining and entertainment in one exciting package. Kids can enjoy a plethora of attractions like laser tag, go-karts, bumper cars, and even mini-bowling. With over 170 arcade games to choose from, boredom is simply not an option!
We had a little trouble with the cars on the machines at first. We weren't sure of the issue so we asked a floor attendant. Instead of brushing us to the front she checked all the machines we tried, asked if we would like her start one of the toddler rides we had tried and then politely told us where to get a new card. She was so sweet and efficient. The staff up front is so patient. The plate pick up service for the buffet is prompt and there's always something fresh. Our granddaughter is just 2 so the pricing seems very reasonable to us. It's only 2 "tokens" for most of their rides. We went over 2 hours on 60 credits. That's a good time!

This place was what we needed after a day in the zoo! Amazing variety of foods and the kids loved spending time at the arcades. Will definitely come here again!!
Eduardo M — Google review
This place was EXTREMELY fun for kids! They had Laser Tag, Go Karts, bumper cars, frog drop, and more for rides along with all the arcade machines. Even a play area for kids that are 7 and under which is nicely housed in the back corner with a few age appropriate games too! This way you can corral the troop as there is only one way in and out. Great lunch options even can request a gluten free pizza! Had an AMAZING time with the family!!! Highly recommend you get there when it opens!
Natalie T — Google review
Kids had a great time. Road go karts, bumper cars, two other Carnival like rides and more games than I've ever seen. We had a 90-minute pass which included the buffet, so we ate when we arrived and again when leaving. Overall a pretty good deal.
Jeremy D — Google review
2nd year we had a birthday party there. The food was great the staff were nice and polite. We had a huge problems getting our cards to work it was hit or miss with them working on the games it wasn't the funnest when you have a party of 10 kids and can't get their cards to work right.
Crystal F — Google review
The kids always have a blast when we go. The food is better than expected for an arcade buffet. Most of the machines are very well used, and almost every token card reader needs replaced. Absolutely infuriating how many times you need to swipe some of them to get a game to play. Needs fixed ASAP.
Jaime M — Google review
The food is just passable in my opinion, although there are a plethora of selections mostly aimed at children's palates. There are pizzas, pastas, salads and soups with a selection of desserts. It's buffet style so you have a few choices. As expected, it's noisy even in the dining areas with child friendly programming on a big screen. The real appeal is the games and rides for the kids with a good selection for all ages including a toddler area. Be prepared for the cost. For two buffets and two 90 minute game play and buffet packages purchased online it was almost $120 and some games like laser tag are extra.
Patricia C — Google review
We discovered this place by accident while heading somewhere else, so we changed our plans. We had so much fun here! The prices are very reasonable and there's so much to do. The rides are great, the games all seem to be in good working order, and the buffet is unlimited, so you definitely can get your money's worth! There are bumper cars, a go-kart track, laser tag, virtual reality game, Mission Vortex ride (it's a tilt-a-whirl, ya'll! 😉), a frog jump ride, and so much more. We spent hours here playing and had so much fun! We did the go karts several times and the ride is several laps, not just a couple. The attendant instructs you at the beginning and warns you about trying to intentionally wreck other drivers, stating if you crash more than twice, the ride will be stopped and you will be removed. We saw him ban a couple of kids for doing just that (once was on our first ride and the same kids came back on our fourth ride and got removed and banned because they wrecked everyone else on the track, causing the ride to have to be stopped multiple times. I am REALLY glad the attendant did that, because a lot of places don't and people end up getting hurt. Next time we visit Omaha, we will definitely be going here for some great family fun!

Wow! I can’t say much about the service because I didn’t really interact with the staff very much but wow this place is amazing. It’s like they didn’t even need to have a budget. Pretty awesome place for a party or just family time.

Great place, lots of fun and choices. Kids had a blast and could really find ways to entertain themselves for hours on the 4 different gold courses. There is also a kids play area, arcade and restaurant which makes it even better.
Tiffany S — Google review
Arcade is kind of "meh" not many machines and no noteworthy prizes, and my son hit 2 500 ticket bonuses but we somehow only had 400 tickets on our card so keepcan eye on that, the atmosphere is awesome though and the golf is superb, definitely recommend but don't do the upcharges for arcade cards. The half credit charge for a game card and only 1 cheap machine that takes half a credit is sketchy, im not a fan of that.

Seymour Smith Park is a large and well-maintained park with sports fields, courts, a disc golf area, a skeet range, and a skatepark. The facility is barrier-free, making it accessible for people with mobility impairments and other disabilities.
Seymour Smith Park is truly a gem in our community! While the park boasts fantastic facilities like baseball fields, football pitches, a splash pad, disc golf, tennis courts, soccer fields, and even a skeet shooting range, the highlight for me is the incredible all-play softball fields designed for wheelchair softball. These fields are the home of the AllPlay Miracle “Buddy” Baseball League for children and young adults with special needs. The two fields are well-equipped, featuring a concession stand and seating with shade structures, ensuring a comfortable experience for all visitors. Seymour Smith Park is also the proud home of the Nebraska Barons Wheelchair Softball Team, who are World Series champs. It's a wonderful place that truly embodies inclusivity and community spirit. Highly recommend a visit!
Kent R — Google review
As a mother and frequent visitor to Seymour Smith Park, I am extremely disappointed with the lack of accessible, sanitary restrooms at this park. It is absolutely unacceptable that there are three restroom facilities on site — clearly marked and built for public use — yet all of them remain locked and unavailable during regular park hours. Instead, families are expected to use a single, filthy portable toilet. The smell alone is unbearable, and it is in no condition to be used, especially by young children. Today, my daughter needed to use the restroom shortly after we arrived at the splash pad and playground. We first went to the portable toilet — which was so disgusting and foul-smelling it was out of the question. Then we walked to the permanent restroom buildings, only to find all of them locked. This left us with no choice but to pack up and leave — cutting short what should have been a fun day. I find it completely unreasonable and disrespectful to the families who use this park to have such poor and inaccessible restroom facilities. If the park is open, restrooms should be open. At a bare minimum, clean, usable facilities must be available — not a single unmaintained portable toilet. I urge the responsible department to address this immediately. Families and children deserve better.

Been going disc golf at this park for 15+ years and recommend this course to all. They have made many improvements over the years and continue to make it better. Discouraging to see the lack of respect the soccer leagues have for the park. Much time, effort and expense is taken to maintain the condition of the fields. Visitors can enjoy free workshops on art and poetry while exploring thought-provoking pieces often infused with social messages. KANEKO also hosts performances in its LOW END gallery on Thursday nights and offers extended hours during special events.
This place was pretty interesting and neat! If you're an art lover this is a place to check out for sure. It has art from local artists which makes it interesting to me and even things from the workers are posted up for all to look at. They were under construction when we went but our guide still showed us around and even let us go in and check out the up-and-coming exhibit. That was awesome. Even took us to another building with even more art and a lot of art books available to check out with a student ID.

I LOVE the Kaneko! Their exhibitions are fantastic and free for visitors-such a great asset to Omaha’s downtown. The “Light” exhibition just opened and runs through the end of March, I believe, but it is so worth everyone’s time to go check it out! The entire exhibition is beautiful and the interactive portions make it a lot of fun! Definitely make time to get into the infinity room on the first floor, which the workers explained draws quite a crowd during peak hours (mainly weekends), so you might try to go during the week for best results. It was neat to see their expansion plans as well and to learn about the next phases in developing something of a campus downtown! Bring some cash to donate to their building fund!!

We took the Glassblowing Workshop for two! It was awesome!!! Very hands on! We chose what we made from a list of options and picked the colors and styles. We each made a blown glass ornament and then for the larger second pieces a wall plate and swung vase! Sam was incredible, explaining everything to us and prepping and coaching us throughout! He made us feel like we could do it ourselves (which we can't.) I could not recommend this class or Sam Logeman more highly!

We really enjoyed ourselves. Would not really recommend for kids. Maybe older or those really into art. Loved talking to some of the artists and seeing them at work. Glad I read the reviewed about the stairs 🤣 but honestly they were not too much. Would recommend. Plan about an hour even 2 there is so much to see I don’t feel like we saw it all.

Went in and so many friendly people. One man wanted to show me how to work with glass because I told him I was interested in it. I bought one of his glass frogs. This is an awesome place to visit in Omaha. Definitely a place to go just for fun and watch people create masterpieces. I can’t wait to go back. Definitely a gem.

We took a glass blowing class with Vickie this morning and had a great time. Her guidance helped me create a beautiful ornament. I'd highly recommend taking classes with her and I probably will again at some point. Thank you again Vickie.

My wife and I did the Glassblowing Workshop for Two and were blown away (pun intended)! Samuel was our instructor and he was absolutely great. He was easy to talk to, you could ask him questions, and most importantly he let us actually do a lot. He allowed us, within reason of course, to do as much of the work as we were comfortable with which was amazing. We each made a paperweight, and my wife made a vase while I made a bowl. I would definitely recommend going to Hot Shops (Crystal Forge, to be precise) to have some fun and come away with something really cool and unique. I'll definitely be scheduling something with Samuel in the future.

Beautiful glass art and great people. Very interesting way of making decorative pieces with a torch as well. My wife got me a class with Vickie and it was very interesting, i had a blast learning how it all came together. Thank you for the opportunity, highly recommend if ever in Omaha

Great spot to see some unique items and talk to artists as they create. We stopped in here as part of the Nebraska Passport program and I'm so glad we went in. They were blowing glass when we walked in which was pretty cool. We wandered through the building seeing the various types of art work and we spoke to several of the artists as they were working. Not all of the shops were open which was kind of a drag but overall this is a really cool place to stop if you're in the area.

Fun glassblowing experience! The instructor was informative and friendly. I would recommend if this is your first time, start slow and consider a shorter class. Great learning experience!

Chalco Hills Recreation Area, located in southwest Omaha, is a top outdoor destination offering a variety of activities. Visitors can enjoy fishing and boating on the lake, explore over 7 miles of scenic trails for hiking and jogging, or relax at picnic sites. Managed by the Papio-Missouri River NRD, this expansive area also features Doms Playground with diverse play areas for all ages.
Best park I've been to yet! This place has something for everyone. Fishing, hiking, bike riding (including electric bicycle rentals), a large playground, camping, a boat launch, kayaking, bird watching, paved walking trails, sports fields, ice fishing in the winter and more!! This place is nicely maintained and has trash cans and bathrooms scattered throughout the expansive property. Parking lots are also plentiful so no worries there. Views for miles. This place is excellent for wildlife photography and you might even spot a Bald Eagle 🦅 A must see location!

Beautiful loop around a lake (I believe roughly 6-5-7.0 miles if you don’t take any cut throughs). I ran around 8 am on a weekday. Surprisingly it was somewhat busy with walkers and bikers and runners. The trail is beautiful and a mix of forest and lake as well as some surprisingly tough inclines! I noticed there were several different parking lots and at least one area to put boats in. There were plenty of restrooms along the trail which I thought was helpful too. The trails were clean as well besides a few spots of feces. My only complaint is the complete arrogance of a few cyclists, particularly of the older generation. They had zero regard for others and expected the pathway to be completely available for them despite being wide enough to accommodate opposite direction traffic.

Love this park. Paths are easy to walk, options to vary your walk. Wide enough for both bikes and walkers. Plenty of parking as well.

I love coming here with the family. There's a super nice playground for the younger kids, and so much open space for other things like Frisbee or whatever the family is into. We drive around the park to see the deer and turkey, and there's plenty of deer to watch throughout the drive! This is probably one of the only parks that we've been to that has SOOO MANY DEER to enjoy!
Vince B — Google review
The trails and path is easy to navigate. Very clean and peaceful. In my opinion, marking the trails would be helpful. It could just be me. I get lost very easily

Peaceful, serene, beautiful, calming, great deer photos. They like their pictures being taken. Drive slower than posted speed, otherwise you will probably miss them.

I was able to take a nice long walk without anyone complaining that it is too hot or they are too tired! I have found this area that does have 7.5 miles around for trials and hikes! This was a beautiful and peaceful place to a nice long walk! The grass was cut around and a very clean area! Fun to see all the people out fishing! Glad I found this place and will need to go again!

Memorial Park, located in the heart of Omaha, offers a vast expanse of green space with open lawns, tree-covered fringes, ball parks, and playgrounds. Although lacking restrooms, it is a popular spot for families and friends to gather. The park hosts an annual event celebrating the area's railroad-centric past in collaboration with five major attractions. Visitors can purchase a pass for access to all five locations and transportation between venues for a weekend-long experience.
Great place to take photos for weddings engagements. Also great open space if you have dogs the like to run around. Nicely manicured lawn. Lots of parking..

The park was dedicated as a memorial to the armed services men and women from Douglas County who perished during World War II. Today it serves as Omaha’s setting to commemorate and honor those who served and died in conflicts, providing a place for remembrance and reflection on the sacrifices made.

Wonderful park with plenty of space to enjoy nature and pay tribute to our brave armed forces personnel who fought and died in several wars during the last century. Awesome statues, pretty rose gardens, and picturesque surroundings all contribute to an uplifting experience worthy of those who "gave their all" for our freedoms.

Beautiful! Absolutely breath taking. A great place to take your pets, family, or even date! There is an open field perfect for picnics, kite flying, or a solid game of catch. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the beautiful rose garden! I will return and recommend this park to my closest friends and family.

Beautiful and very memorable experience. I visited on my way back home from downtown. I'm so happy I stopped to pay my respects and also see a statue "Embracing Peace " to commemorate 75 year anniversary of the park. The traveling statue will be there for 6 months.

Great family place! Good place to walk your dog. During the day, it resembles a dog park, so remember, keep dog on a leash, as all people are not comfortable with loose animals near by. BEST place to go sledding I've seen in my life! Lots of grass field, sport field, children's play ground, walking trail, small creek on either side of the Memorial. Very beautiful place. Lots of parking (around the memorial and a small lot on North West side of the Memorial.

Hitchcock Nature Center, located in Honey Creek, Iowa just outside of Council Bluffs, is a sprawling refuge in the Loess Hills offering 10 miles of trails for hiking and stunning views. The Loess Hills Interpretive Center provides hands-on activities for kids while the 45-foot-tall observation tower offers a unique birds-eye view of the rolling hills and fall foliage.
I enjoyed going to Hitchcock Nature Center. If you do not have a park pass and you are from out of state make sure you have $5.00. You will stop at the drop box and get an envelope. Fill it out, put $ 5.00 in the envelope, drop it into the drop box. You will need to follow the directions on the envelope, tear a section off, and place on dash dashboard. This way the park staff knows you paid your fee. I did not hike but saw some people hiking. It was very hot out. I was there with my Plein-air group. We stayed on the big deck overlooking the scenery. The big deck is shaded and nice with a cool breeze. In addition to the nature center are stairs you can climb upward to a higher destination (lookout tower). Hopefully, next time I go will be in th e fall and cooler. It would be nice to hike some of the trails. The big old oak trees are beautiful, lots of birds, very quiet.

I was on a trip to Omaha when I found this place. I love the views and the changing terrain. I didn't realize Iowa could be so beautiful.

We were there on a weekday, late September. When we saw the buses of children we were a little worried, but they were very polite and respectful. Kudos to the teachers. There were bird watchers on the observation tower, too. Busy place! Nice, restrooms, too. We walked the Badger Ridge Trail. There was some good signage, and pretty overlooks. A lot of asters blooming.

Got to spend some special time hiking and watching the sunrise! Beautiful grounds very peaceful.
Anthony J — Google review
Equal Access trail was closed off and clearly has not been tended to for quite some time. Rails left unfixed for an extended time, path overgrown. The ground path has lots of deep ruts that make it difficult to use with small children. Supposedly there's a ranger that lives on sight, but it seems the trail is the last thing on their mind.
Britany ( — Google review
Well, this place truly blew me away, so I must talk about it. Make sure to put the Hitchcock Nature Center in the Loess Hills on your list of places to visit this weekend if you haven't already. Iowa isn't exactly known for its "mountain views," so I wasn't expecting much, but this place totally made me reconsider. You can sense the tranquility as soon as you pull in. All of the trails here have breathtaking views that will make you forget you're in the Midwest. Some of them are easy, while others will raise your heart rate. It's one of the few places that simply resets you; the sounds are quieter and the air feels cleaner. The maps of the trails are well done and have easy, medium, and hard trails marked on the maps. The trails themselves are very well marked as well, so you won't get lost. The observation tower? Unreal. When you are to the top, you can see miles of undulating hills and valleys, and on a clear day, you can even make out Omaha in the distance. Grab your camera (or your phone, let’s be real)—the photos from up there are next-level. Additionally, they've done a fantastic job of keeping things accessible. There is a boardwalk trail which was closed for renovations but I'd think it is super easy to walk and perfect for families, strollers, or anyone who just wants a chill nature stroll. The Loess Hills Lodge at the main entrance also has a small shop, plenty of information about the area, and clean restrooms. It's obvious that the volunteers and employees genuinely care about the location. This is paradise if you enjoy wildlife, especially birds. The hawk-watching here is legendary during the migration season. It's amazing to see enormous raptors flying directly over your head, even if you're not a birdwatcher. Camping spots are surprisingly well-maintained, quiet, and clean. Stayed a night and woke up to the sound of wind through the prairie grass and not much else. 10/10 peaceful vibes. Only The $5 entry fee is paid with cash only through a drop box, so please bring exact change. That's the "downside," if you can call it that.lly worth it for a full day of hiking and exploring. Well, Hitchcock Nature Center is one of those locations that reminds you to slow down, take a deep breath, and appreciate the joys of being outside.her you’re into hiking, photography, birdwatching, or just need to escape for a bit, this is your spot. Would recommend it always.

Nature & Parks
Tom Hanafan River's Edge Park is a beautiful public park located in Council Bluffs, Iowa, that offers stunning views of Omaha and sister city's skyline. The park has an ecological purpose and incorporates almost 20 acres of reforestation; it is also the perfect place to bring your dog and enjoy a picnic.
While acknowledging a history where Tom Hanafan River's Edge Park may have experienced periods of regrettable underutilization or neglect, the current trajectory is demonstrably one of thoughtful and assertive revitalization. The park, situated strategically on the Council Bluffs side of the Missouri River, has transitioned from a merely functional green space to a truly transcendent bi-state amenity. The visceral appeal of the location is anchored by the breathtaking panorama of the Omaha downtown skyline. This uninterrupted vista, particularly compelling during the golden hour or when the city lights reflect across the water at twilight, transforms the riverfront into an unparalleled visual anchor for the metro area, a testament to the synergistic relationship between the two communities. The sculptural centerpiece, officially titled 'Looking Up' by artist Tom Friedman, serves not merely as a photo opportunity but as a captivating, witty focal point. This 33-foot-tall, polished stainless steel figure, cast to meticulously mimic crushed aluminum foil, masterfully employs trompe l'oeil and the elevation of the mundane. It is a brilliant, whimsical juxtaposition against the organic backdrop, providing a moment of cultural reflection that is, as you aptly noted, an exceptional catalyst for conversation and photography. The foundational elements for a world-class civic space are firmly in place. However, to truly cement the park's status as a regional icon, one must champion accelerated infrastructural development on the Iowa riverfront. The planned additions, such as the Treetop Walk and the MidAmerican Energy Adventure Tower, represent the crucial next phase: transforming passive enjoyment into dynamic, year-round adventurous engagement. It is this forward-thinking investment that will not only maximize the park's economic and cultural impact but also ensure the long-term worthy stewardship of this vital metropolitan resource.

Nice park. Walking trail around the lake. Nice variety of animals around the lake; fish, turtles, ducks, and other birds flying around. Basketball and tennis court. Colorful Playground and splash pad for kids. Tables to sit down, and benches on the trail to sit and relax with friends and family.

Awesome park!! Depending on the day. It can have a few people to everyone there, haha. When it's super packed, usually on Fridays and weekends, it is best to have more than one adult if you have multiple children. My God children and nephew have made lots of friends and met friendly parents who include them also on activities they're doing with their children. I haven't had any issues.
Keisha B — Google review
We love the splash pad, playground, and walking around the lake. We do wish there were better bathrooms available though. There is a porta potty that is often overfilled and kind of gross. This is a good playground for bigger kids. There aren't the best sight lines, but it is fun. There are lots of picnic tables, each with a grill. You may need to come early especially on the weekend or holidays to get a spot though.
Elizabeth L — Google review
I've been to this park more than any other one at this point. It's such a nice park. Lots of fowl to watch swimming around, the lake is beautiful and it has a good playground area for the kiddos. There have been a few times I've noticed people not cleaning up after their dogs, and there is poo from the geese/ducks. There is plenty of seating, so thankfully, you don't have to sit on the ground. Might get some whiffs of cannabis. It seems pretty normal around the park to smell it, between all the parking or the occasional person smoking in the park itself. All in all, it is a great park. It's well taken care of and worth going to. Would recommend and will definitely be coming back.
Dustin B — Google review
This park feels like it's straight from a movie scene. Having grown up in a small town, moving to the big city made me miss the charm of those intimate parks. Here, you see people getting into a game of basketball on a pristine court, families strolling by the large pond, watching geese bask in the sun, or searching for their afternoon meal. Kids are everywhere, tossing footballs, while the little ones conquer the huge playground. Even adults are letting loose, revisiting their childhood on the swings. Everywhere you look, there are smiles, laughter, and a symphony of shared memories. I'm truly thankful that in this fast-paced world, we still find moments for park afternoons, especially with gems like Benson Park around.
Jess — Google review
The ducks were pretty and cute and the park is being kept up, got a park and water park but the water is not working. Not to busy and everyone was nice. Good place for rollerblading and skating if wanted. The water could be cleaned in the pond tho a little bit.
Living C — Google review
Perfect place for a quick walk/jog either by yourself or with your dog. Plenty of green space and parking. The water does look kind of sketchy so personally I wouldn’t cast there, however there were people fishing at the pond there. Plenty of geese walking around and you might get to see some turtles sunbathing. There is an aquatic park for the kiddos and it was pretty busy. Overall no complaints at this park. :)

The offerings and location is great! Tried to call the phone number listed multiple times and wouldn’t go through. Just wanted to ask some questions related to the all ages and what was required. Stir Cove Concert Hall is a renowned outdoor amphitheater located near Harrah's Casino in Council Bluffs. It's known for hosting top-tier touring acts, offering unforgettable performances under the starlit sky. The venue is surrounded by natural sites like Heartland of America Park and ConAgra Lake, providing a harmonious connection with the United States' nature.
Omaha and Council Bluffs are extremely fortunate to have a venue as exceptional as Stir Concert Cove. They do an excellent job in maintaining a diversified lineup, as well as keeping cost in line with competitors, and staying on-top of clean up for such large volumes of people. Security detail is top notch, and it’s abundantly clear communication from management down is not only effective, but seems to come naturally. Teamwork appears to be a key factor in the management style of Stir, and it shows. I honestly am at a loss to think of a venue I feel safer at. Another super desirable factor Stir brings to the table is how familiar it is. Omaha and Council Bluffs have a relatively dense population, while still being small enough to see familiar faces. You can guarantee you’ll always see people you know, as the venue is the perfect size for a nicely diversified crowd. Excellent service, volume management & crowd control, cleanliness and environment. This place is the whole enchilada, and I can’t wait to see what next year’s lineup brings.

Here for the Foreigner concert. Nice venue but get here early to get a good location (bring your own chairs). Note, domestic beers are $10 for a 16oz, and craft beers which are very limited are $11. Sound is ok for an outdoor venue. People can be rude and try to sit right in front of you, a blanket to reserve space might help (I'm talking 2-3 feet in front). Parking is free, but traffic is bad at end of concert. Suggest backing into a spot so you don't have to try to back out.

First time for a sold out concert at Stir Cove. Estimated around 4000 people were in attendance. Very nice and open. No shade though because it's outside and there are no trees. Can bring or rent chairs there but come early if you do need to rent and chair sitting filled in quite quickly. It was easy to get around. Fast and kind bar staff. Loved the refillable glasses with a lid! Could maybe use a few more porta potties as the lines would get pretty long. Security was good as well. Very well staffed on a whole. loved the amount of seating in the venue! the upstairs balcony had a good amount of seating without the view being too obstructed by the people along the railing. the pit was a decent size and the bar had a good selection. of course they give wristbands for 21+ and stamps on the hands for under 21, but i liked that they both were branded with the logo not just solid bands or Xs lol

The Old Market in Omaha, Nebraska is a historic district with cobblestone streets and horse-drawn carriages. The Old Market Passage, starting at 10th and Harney Streets, offers a unique way to explore the area with its murals, art galleries, sculptures, and colorful buildings. This charming alleyway houses three floors of local businesses. Visitors can also enjoy nearby attractions like the Omaha Children's Museum and the Joslyn Art Museum.
Beautiful area with eclectic shops and lots to see. There was wheelchair access to both levels of the passagway, which was a big surprise for an area like this. We loved the Farmer's Market. Very bumpy roads, which is to be expected.

It's a cute boutique like space. Since I went on Monday evening, many of the shops were already closed.
Pamela F — Google review
Absolutely wonderful and breathtaking the plants and walls...so picturesque. But unfortunately they don't allow cameras. No grad or prom photos allowed. So don't bother. Just enjoy the scenery and visit the shops. I hope to one day go again!
Jeannie J — Google review
A wonderful piece of Omaha history you can enjoy and explore at your leisure. Find the history yourself, dine in good and great restaurants, visit a pub, sample wine, munch pastry, shop crazy, weird stuff. Did I mention antiques? You can even sleep here in quality digs. It's also adjacent to the Gene Leahy Mall, a beautiful 10 acre park that you need to read about by itself on Maps, LOL.
Jim M — Google review
It's a cool place to walk through. It has brick roads, covered sidewalks with flowers growing along the roof-line. The passage way was cool to see too. There are lots of eclectic stores, most notable for us was the Hollywood candy store, the Amazing Imaginarium, Old Market Sundries and the Emporium.
Teresa O — Google review
Beautiful area.. The passageway is a hidden gem!
Monica P — Google review
So many cool shops, eateries & history in the Old Market. We are undoubtedly glad we made this section of downtown Omaha a priority for our spring break vacation. So many of the buildings have a rich history and seeing the old passageway was well worth the photo opportunity with its stunning beauty. We visited on a weekday and it was so easy to find cheap street parking, I think we paid about $3 for 3 hours of parking. I suggest downloading the ParkOmaha app as it will save you some hassle from visiting a pay station.

The atmosphere here is fantastic. My favorite place to visit in the Old Market and Trinis is a great little restaurant.

Festival
Maha Festival is an annual music celebration in Omaha, held in June or August and organized by YFC, Inc. The event features a diverse lineup of bands spanning electronic music, hip hop, rock, and indie genres. Attendees can enjoy performances from various talented artists. The festival also offers opportunities for volunteering, providing a chance to contribute to the event while overcoming personal challenges and connecting with others.
So fun, I've been twice now, last time was when Weezer was headlining. It's mostly college students who don't know how to handle alcohol lol but the bands were phenomenal, it wasn't too crowded, they have free water and we set up our chairs in the shade. I loved the silent disco and the 3 dueling djs!
Laura B — Google review
This is the best event of the year. I've volunteered for this festival every year we've had it since 2014. It's arrival and the experience of providing my support through volunteering has played a pivotal role in my gaining control over my severe social anxiety. I've grown from being barely able to speak to people and needing a friend to be there with me... To the bright and goofy MaHugs lady who walks about giving hugs up strangers and having impromptu conversations with those who need the connection... This year, I was able to introduce many of said people to my Ask Mama Lynn Anything project and invite them to take advantage of my offer to help people untie the knots that hold their life back. It was great and I can't wait to see who comes to play next year!
Lynn G — Google review
Saw a Touch of Gray. The band was great. Park was great. I took off one star because there were a few political groups trying to get petitions signed. I should be able to go to a concert in a park without having to worry if my family or I am going to get accosted by groups with their own political agenda. This particular group (Pro-Life) didn't like me being polite and saying "no thank you" when asked to sign their petition. They got in my face about my views. This park shouldn't allow highly polarized, politically charged, highly debatable groups into a family setting.

Went to Stinson Park for family night. Free food, movie outside and bouncy houses for the kids. It was really relaxing. Hope they do it again.

One of the best festivals I have ever had the pleasure to be a part of! Diverse music, smooth operations, great staff, lovely food, and all around fabulous energy! Sad we won't get to see 2020, but I will still be looking forward to 2021!
Erin S — Google review
Way better with reduced capacity. Stick with that and charge a little more for tix and / or increase sponsorships. Need to (finally) bring in projection screens and take Maha to the next level. Will help move away from the state fair / carnival vibe and emphasize the music more.

I didn’t come here for the festival, i came here for car seat headrest and I was absolutely happy with every single aspect of their show! I hope to see them in Omaha again!!!

Horsemen's Park Simulcasting and Warhorse Casino Omaha is a vibrant destination for horse racing enthusiasts and families alike. With an expansive outdoor track and over 700 televisions showcasing races, it offers an exhilarating atmosphere for both casual viewers and serious bettors. The venue also features excellent dining options, making it a great spot to enjoy delicious food while watching the action unfold.
My whole family can make a day out of the horse races. My grandma likes the new viewing room, but misses the old menu staples. The waitress was helpful and we had the burgers. very good. We will be back hopefully for when there are actual races going on. I won some of my bets too, which always helps!
Lauren D — Google review
Nice horse racing venue, especially when they have the live racing in town. And if you're lucky enough to have a volunteer named Mary Lorraine to help you learn using the automated betting stations, it's even better!! I'd give six stars if I could, just because of her help!
Don S — Google review
Enjoyed the races. Had some winning Bets. Could use some more grandstand seating. Also another suggestion the.video screen could be taller- when everyone stands to watch it’s really hard to see. Same with the stats board could be taller to see above the crowd.
David G — Google review
1st visit for High School reunion. Gigantic place with an open atmosphere. Excellent viewing angles of the hundreds of televisions for horse betting or just watching your favorite sports team. Service for food & drinks was very efficient. Food was hot, cooked just right(had the meatloaf special) and tasty. Recommend for any family or group gathering. Prices right in-line with the economy per the menu pic.

Went to opening day. This was the first time at this park. It was a lot of fun. Much more orientated to families than the larger parks I’ve visited. In a way it reminded me of the Triple AAA ballpark compared to a MLB park. Access was very reasonable. Plenty of food and drinks. At first It was a bit confusing as to how to use their machines used to place bets. There are two main parking areas during racing season. The main being on the east side of the park. The second on the west side of the track. This one did provide a bus if you did not want to walk. To exit the main lot. There’s only 1 exit. They should ad a second east of the current one. All traffic exiting is guided east. Take 60th south to Harrison or north to I80 / L Street. This season looks like a lot of fun. We’ll be back.
Abner S — Google review
I was there less than a half hour, spent less than $20.00. Doesn't seem like much, but it paid for supper, fuel for the week, and some small odds and ends. Thank you Warhorse! Next time can we add a 0 or too to the winnings decimal points place (lol).
Earl E — Google review
I stopped by the park to place a bet on the Derby and intended to go to a shareholders meeting in Omaha. Instead I met a man who taught me how to place a bed, and I spent the day enjoying his company. Thank you for a memorable day. Omaha is a terrific City, the mint julep‘s we’re good, though they did give me a headache, the food was great, the information booth staff was full of welcoming people, as was George in Security. The waitress staff was the only disappointment but getting to spend time with locals from Omaha was worth more than being a part of something I could see online. Yes I missed the Berkshire Hathaway meeting. I contribute that choice to me!!

Wow! It's so nice and clean. Great atmosphere and the employees are cheerful and friendly. Can't wait to see what they do for the Kentucky derby next year.

Go! Kids' Gym is a fantastic place for young children to burn off some energy and interact with others. The facility offers a variety of activities including trampolines, foam pits, dome climbers, balance beams, ride-on toys, and a large tower slide. Additionally, there are amenities such as a kitchen area, restrooms, and changing facilities. It's an ideal location for birthday parties catering to kids around 4 years old and under.
Great place to take a young one to run off some energy and socialize. They have a trampoline, foam pit, dome climber, balance beam, ride-on toys, and a larger tower/slide along with other miscellaneous balls, rockers, balance boards, etc. They also have a nice kitchen area, restrooms, and changing area. This might be where I have my son’s next birthday - ideal setting for birthday parties for kids about 4 and under.

Great place to take the kids to burn off some energy! $10 per kid (2 and under free with paying sibling) and enough activities to last a solid hour or more of fun. Very clean and well maintained from what we could tell. We will definitely be back.

Place is for 12months to 8years. And they have good amount of toys to support different ages! Very colorful setting unfortunately when the place is crowded with older kids from daycare it can be a little overwhelming for the little babies/toddlers. Great place since I got a Groupon 5play for 30 bucks! But normally 60 for the month. I would recommend
Tarra B — Google review
Recently had a small private party, staff was great. Very friendly and greeted all of my guest. Space is perfect for toddlers. I had a group age 1y - 7y. There is a excellent variety and amount of toys. The kids loved every minute. I loved to see that before my group entered all surfaces were disinfected.

Me and my family frequent here often and the past 3 or 4 times have made us not want to return. The employee working had 6 kids with her ( I am all for inclusive work places) however these kids were left unattended 90% of time either due to the employee checking in people or her being on her phone. Even if she did have her focus on her children there were just too many for her to properly supervise them all. These children just ran all over other kids. Other parents seemed just as agitated by the situation and left as well. We like this place and our kids like it but if this keeps up, I would not be surprised if all its customers are driven away and they are forced to close.
Jake T — Google review
I wish there was a limit on how many kids can be in the gym at one time. Each time we went there were just too many kids. Definitely a safety issue. Also, I'm not sure how oten they clean their stuff, my child would get sick everytime he went there so we stopped going. Also, some kids wouldn't have supervision by an adult and my son would be bullied/pushed/shoved with no parent in site to correct their behavior. For those reason we never went back.
Alyssa H — Google review
It’s cold in there. Why is it 50 inside and 60 outside? My kids hands were cold. What’s the point of an indoor playground if the temperature outside is better than the inside? Might as well play outside. If your heaters broken…… wouldn’t it be a good idea to buy some space heaters for the mean time?
Nikki G — Google review
My kids and I love this place. I am a stay at home dad and it is great getting out with the kiddos and watching them have fun. This place has always been awesome but since the new ownership I’ve seen a lot more outreach with the cliental from the ownership making it feel more personalized. I personally feel the gym has never been cleaner. The staff is awesome and the new owner brings her children from time to time and they are always off playing with the other kids and they are so sweet and cute. My youngest daughter and her have become great friends and it is nice to see! Keep it up everything, you guys rock!
