Let me tell you if I could give this place a 100 star I would do it. They have some amazing food. I think the best breakfast I've ever had. I had the Crab Rangoon omelet it was to die for. It is very busy but if you sit at the bar it's a no wait and full service, so that's what we did. Food was delivered fast. A little pricy but it was well worth it and plenty of food so got our minrys worth. If ypu are ever in Omaha you should definitely go.

Well let me just say…YASS!! This place was amazing! Atmosphere was super clean and very cutesy on the inside. We got there and were seated in a booth. Our server was super sweet and provided some recommendations. We ordered coffee and a marshmallow campfire hot chocolate to which I added an espresso shot. It was so good. We ordered breakfast nachos which were tots with cheese and egg in top. As well as a sausage biscuit sandwich. Let me just say the sausage on that biscuit sandwich was top tier. I’ve had sausage from establishments before and they are always thin but this appeared to be homemade and formed with LOVE!!! 💕 Oh and we ordered these apple turnovers drizzled with caramel and glaze that were tots die for. Do not sleep on breakfast at this gem!!! 10 out of 10 recommend The only thing that did not impress me was the hash brown casserole. It needed more seasoning and it was a bit dry

I love this restaurant. The disappointment in the score is simply because of this one experience. I placed an online order and waited an extra 25 minutes before my food was done. I get home and my chicken fried chicken doesn’t even have the sausage gravy on it. That’s one of the best parts of the meal. Just disappointed with this experience today. Will give them another shot soon.

The food was good, we went on a Saturday at 12pm so it was packed and our wait was about 20 minutes for a party of 3. We ordered the bacon flight, cinny bobs, the new Philly cheesesteak Benny, smoked salmon Benny, and the good morning burrito. The bennys come with a side of hash browns, we did not enjoy these as they were hard/uncooked maybe? Idk. The bennys were delicious. I missed my regular choice, the veggie Benny - they took it off the menu and the Philly cheesesteak Benny was the only one with any kind of vegetables (red peppers and onions). The good morning burrito was really good but again, had those hash brown in it. Not a deal breaker though. Shout out to our server, he was amazing! Also, I ordered the vanilla latte with a shot of espresso and it was very tasty. Oh and idk if it’s meant to be that way but the cinny bond were doughy in the middle and I personally did not enjoy that part. Still a great place to brunch. The bacon flight is a MUST.

Omg they are the bomb!They were so nice,friendly and attentive. The food was kick ass,I have never been there before but after that experience I took my children another time after.It's nice to have a friendly atmosphere in a restaurant setting, they aren't always nice and this staff was.It was easy to want to tip,great service, great food,great atmosphere its definitely a vibe go check it out I wouldn't lie!

Disappointed by the Manager’s Behavior – A First After Years of Great Experiences I’ve been a loyal customer of Early Bird Brunch for years and always loved the food, atmosphere, and staff. Unfortunately, this was the first time I had such a disappointing experience. I’m pregnant and ordered the smoked salmon eggs benedict, asking for the eggs to be cooked medium well since undercooked eggs can be unsafe during pregnancy. I’ve ordered it this way many times before, but this time the eggs were very runny. The host I spoke with was kind and understanding, but when I was transferred to the manager, things went downhill fast. She immediately got defensive, raised her voice, and told me to “calm down” — even though I was calm and simply explaining my concern. It honestly felt like she was gaslighting me instead of trying to listen or resolve the issue. To her credit, she did remake the order, but instead of just fixing it, she sent two versions — one perfectly cooked medium-well (exactly what I’d described) and one completely hard-poached. It came off as passive-aggressive rather than helpful. I truly hope this was just an off day for her, because I’ve always had great experiences at Early Bird. I love this restaurant, but I really hope not to have another interaction like that again.

I travel to Omaha often and found this spot based off the amazing reviews. Sad to say it was mediocre. Like. Very mediocre. Our server was great and other staff were in high spirits which was nice! I wouldn’t suggest it tho. It’s just. Eh 🤷🏻‍♀️

A friend introduced me to Bailey’s a few years ago, and it’s been one of my go-to spots ever since! My family and I have worked our way through a good chunk of the menu, and it’s all been consistently delicious—from the French toast to the Cuban sandwich to the breakfast enchiladas. The inside is small and cozy, giving it that warm, welcoming vibe. The staff are always super friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better. And when the weather’s nice, their outdoor patio is such a great option to enjoy your meal. Even when the place is packed—like around 10am on a weekday—we’ve never had to wait too long for a table. Absolutely recommend Bailey’s for anyone looking for a solid, satisfying breakfast or lunch spot!

Went on a Sunday morning around 10:30am anymore was very busy with a 30 minute wait. Very little waiting room inside so alot of people were outside or in their cars. Once seated though, we were promptly given our drinks and ordered just a few minutes later. Food came out fairly quickly and it was hot and fresh. Country fried steak and potatoes was a 10/10 with the best sausage gravy I've had yet. The classic eggs benedict were a little overcooked and the hollandaise sauce was a bit too vinegary for my taste but were still good. The breakfast bagel sandwich was disappointing, bagel was tough and the bacon was rubbery. Our server was excellent and we were not in need of anything as she made sure we had everything. Overall a great breakfast spot with a great menu and I would definitely recommend giving it a try!

We were headed to the new Kipp Omaha and we usually want breakfast for lunch. Bailey's was close by and sounded perfect! Both of the childrens went with the Lil French Toast Kids Meal. One with bacon, one extra egg, and oranges. They ate every bite! I chose the French Toast Croissant Special, Bacon on the side so the fam could eat it. It was yummy, came out with blueberries instead of bananas which I don't eat so just gave them to the kids. Eggs were nice and fluffy. Not surprisingly my husband ordered The Trucker. 3 Eggs, Bacon, 3 kinds of Sausages, Hashbrowns and Toast. Plus extra Pancakes in case anyone was still hungry 🙄. Other than sharing a bit of the potatoes with the Little Guy he pretty much cleaned his plate. Liked the cook on everything, the Spicy Link was a favorite! This is a great little diner! Food was done well and came out in a reasonable amount of time. Our server Carla was so nice and helpful ☺️. Place was busy the entire time. This is an awesome breakfast and dinner spot. The food is beautiful and so tasty. Excellent coffee. It's small so don't be surprised by s short wait it is well with it. The staff is friendly and attentive. 5 stars for our first visit. Breakfast enchilada was out choice.

We found this restaurant by searching for a good breakfast spot. Thankfully, we stopped and ate here. The eggs Benedict were delicious and spot on. The hollandaise sauce was perfect. The corn beef and hash was everything they said it would be. The best I have ever had and homemade. We definitely will come back whenever we are in the neighborhood again. Highly recommend this restaurant

This place is legit for breakfast. Will be back to try a lunch next time I am in town. Corned beef and hash is one of my favorites and Baileys delivered the best I have ever had.

Wonderful place we discovered after looking online for the best breakfast in Omaha. Because we sat at the counter we did not have a wait. Our waitress, Camille was top notch. She was attentive, though very busy and had a genuine smile on her face. When we inquired if it was always this busy she said the weekends were always swamped but it is also very busy during the week. Her next remark was,”I just love working here. The food was incredible. I had poached eggs with Canadian bacon on an English muffin, I skipped the hollandaise sauce. Eggs were cooked perfectly and the Canadian was thick and tender. The best part was the lemon curd and berry pancake my husband and I split. The photo isn’t the best because I started to spread the lemon curd when we took the photo. It was an incredible treat!

My boyfriend and I went here 2 days in a row! Great flavors, even greater service and atmosphere. I got the Huevos rancheros and Kelly's coffee (definitely recommend) and my boyfriend got the club with Hash browns. Both incredible, wish we had one back in OK!

As a big fan of both Vidlak’s and Bailey’s, I was super intrigued when I saw several people in the Omaha Food Lovers page say they’d drive right past those favorites to eat at Saddle Creek Breakfast Club. So of course, I had to give it a try! We stopped by on a Thursday around 10 AM and ended up with a 40-minute wait for a two-top. We decided to stick it out, and I’m glad we did so we could try the place. I just don’t think we would stick out that wait again. Once seated at the bar, we both ordered the Saddle Creek Standard with a plain pancake to share, plus coffee and orange juice. The food came out hot and fresh—eggs cooked perfectly, delicious sausage patties, crispy and flavorful hash browns, and perfectly toasted English muffins. The drinks were solid too. Despite how busy it was, the servers were kind, attentive, and clearly working hard to keep things moving smoothly. Where they lost me a bit was with the pancake. I was so excited for it, but it ended up being a letdown. It seemed a little undercooked and had a strong baking powder aftertaste, like maybe the batter had a little too much of something. Not terrible, but definitely not what I was hoping for. Overall, I’d definitely come back if there wasn’t a long wait. The food was great, but not waiting 30+ minutes great. The atmosphere, service, and most of the food were all exceptional—just wouldn’t bank on the pancake next time.

Not bad at all! It’s a beautiful restaurant with great lively atmosphere, and I believe the staff, they all are hard working here, too and it is enjoyable to watch such a busy place. And they have a good list of vegan dishes. But after all waiting for a table so long, nothing was so pleasing anymore with exhaustion from waiting. And when our server told me that it is always busy like today, I did not think it was worth spending time and money here. If you are a vegan and patient enough, this could be the place!

Super yummy! Great little eatery for a Saturday breakfast with friends. The crowd was very diverse in age from toddlers to elderly and all with a smile on their face! Wait staff was super attentive and anticipated every ask with pleasure. We'll be back for sure!!

Food- meh.....not worth it. The pancakes were absolutely flavorless. I mean zero flavor no vanilla, no spices, no anything. The lemon curd was just shmeared on top in a spot had flavor. But the actual pancake was flavorless. *They called a "stack" one pancake apparently? I ordered a stack and my son ordered a "double stack" (thinking he's getting 4 pancakes) Since when is a stack one pancake? *The bacon was drastically undercooked, the hashbrowns were not even seasoned. No salt. No seasoning. Nothing. *The eggs were soft scrambled watery. *the server wouldn't let us substitue a pancake for toast. I've literally never been to a restaurant that wouldn't allow this. Even if there is an upcharge. Disappointing. *No option for hot coco for non-drinkers & non coffee drinkers. Ambiance- they crammed so many tables in to the restruant you hit peoples elbows walking past. And even my son said "its too loud in here." My kid complained about the noise level its so crammed. Not welcoming. We had never been to this restaurant and came based off of recommendations. We weren't offered suggestions. We didnt get asked if we had been there before. We love supporting local but were disheartened. The entire experierence from the service, to the crammed store, to the food.

Hopped in for breakfast after an early Monday appointment close by and was blown away by how amazing the food was. I ordered the huevuos rancheros and it was incredible. The rice beans and carne asada were spectacular and the green chili sauce was perfect. Would have asked for tortillas on the side as they got pretty soggy though. My wife had a standard breakfast and it was also excellent. And my son got a breakfast club croissant sandwich and said it was really good. Will definitely be coming back here again!

Louie M’s is a quaint breakfast/lunch spot with a great, friendly staff and solid food. They have a fun ambiance, with lots of kitschy decor. The pancakes were the standout, being both fluffy but slightly crispy on top. The biscuits and grave were a little underwhelming, with the biscuits clearly from a bag. But everything else was quite good and this place is definitely worth a try.

I recommend this family owned restaurant! yummy foods! My family of 4 enjoyed all of our meals we chose! Amazing service! Happy, outgoing staff! They go above and beyond for you! Definitely check them out!

Wow! We stopped here on a whim when trying to find a place to eat outside of the Henry Doorly Zoo. And I have to say, it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time (I got the guacamole bacon burger). It was HUGE and tasted so good, and the fries were good as well. We ate right outside the front door since there were some tables and chairs along the sidewalk. The service was excellent, and we’ll definitely come back again when visiting the area. There’s a cool mural on the back side of the building too. Parking is a little tight. It’s less than 5 minutes driving from the zoo.

Sooooo good! That burger had to be hand pattied! Perfect and perfect and so were the onion rings. And the paper menus and the little diner atmosphere definitely played part in this great experience!

The burger patty made the burger. Real meat and obviously hand done. The meat was high quality. Got a chance to talk to the owner and found out the meat is delivered daily from a family owned local meat processor (bonus: you get to support two local businesses at one time when you eat here). The food is simple and real. The flavor feels wholesome. The service is friendly and familiar. I was fortunate enough to watch the restaurant fill up with regulars for lunch and hear them all greeted by name. A restaurant that had that many happy regulars has some magic. I'm pretty sure it is the family that owns and operates it. The neighborhood it is in is on the upswing with so many cool historic building. The restaurant has all the eclectic charm and character that it's years of history would demand. All around a great spot for lunch. I look forward to trying breakfast, here.

I love restaurants like this! It’s not just about the food but also the conversations. The Bacon Cheddar Burger was decent, but the service was spectacular. I started a conversation with the server, who shared a bit of their story with me. They mentioned being born and raised in Omaha and revealed how deeply connected they were to the restaurant—so much so that they were named after someone linked to it. It’s those conversations that really set a restaurant apart from one another. Perhaps I’m romanticizing it a bit, but this is what makes small-town America so wonderful!

this isn't above average diner with really good breakfast food I had hash browns and eggs and toast which is my go-to and it was better than my home diner. price was very reasonable and hard to beat these days but quality was not compromised by price and service was phenomenal. The place was busy and we got our food very fast.

Was in Omaha for the College World Series we found Lisa’ Radical Cafe for Sunday morning breakfast after attending church at St. Cecilia. Googled up breakfast places and found Lisa’s was around the corner. Had great reviews and seemed to be a locals place. So we head over. Had a small wait but for a good meal I don’t mind waiting. The atmosphere here really confirmed that we were in a locals place and I loved it. Our service was first class and the food was outstanding. Some can say how hard is it to screw up breakfast. Well I can say it easier than you think. But that was not the case at Lisa’s. I was on a breakfast sandwich kick and this one did not disappoint. It featured scrambled eggs homemade sausage American cheese served on a croissant. Wow it hit the spot. My friend had the peach stuffed French toast. I did not get a taste of this one I was afraid to reach across the table for fear of losing a finger. He was enjoying it just that much. Now those hash browns on my plate look like something simple to prepare. But it is hard to get the crispy just right. These were right one the spot. So good. Thank Lisa’s for such a great meal to a visitor for the annual event that consumes Omaha each summer. I plan to return to Omaha for the CWS even if my team is not in the show. We met some great locals, had some great meals, enjoyed the hospitality that Omaha and its residents and police officers showed us. If you’re in Omaha do not miss a meal at Lisa’s Radical Cafe.

My Dad and I stopped in for breakfast during the heat wave of summer 2024. We had a good breakfast before resting for the remainder of the day. I enjoyed a chicken fried steak and eggs meal. The portions are HUGE! The coffee is hot and always ready to be poured. This is a perfect neighborhood cafe!

We had an okay experience at Le Peep, I ordered the biscuits and gravy with eggs and hash browns. Eggs were eggs and cooked as I asked. Biscuits and gravy were decent but said “smothered” in gravy on the menu and the amount didn’t even cover the biscuits themselves. The hash browns were room temp and didn’t have any flavor. My wife had a special coffee and the cinnamon roll which she said was very good. In laws both didn’t have complaints but no super high praise. I wouldn’t personally go back but my wife enjoys the coffees and things so I’m sure we will be at some point.

This place is my favorite for breakfast. We all got different things but my favorite breakfast is Nutella crepes and enchiladas with green sauce. But the wait is horrible. We waited 1 hour to get in

Great place to eat. The only gripe I have is that if there’s your whole party must be present and they will not text or call you when your table is ready. You must stand outside even if it’s chilly if the waiting area is full. Other than that a great place for brunch and coffee

I arrived on a Saturday at 9:30am and the place was so packed. Our party of 6 got seated in 30 minutes, and I was surprised by how good the food and coffee were, since this place is a franchise. I got the Vienna latte (cinnamon and brown sugar) and the Hen Pen (good ol' big breakfast) and both were so delicious! 🍳

So far this breakfast chain has never disappointed. The incredibly diverse menu offers plenty of options for everyone. All of the restaurant's options are well-priced for the quality and portion sizes of the food, and our service was consistent and helpful. Parking was free and easy, unlike many of the downtown spots. Only complaint is that they don't allow reservations, but the quality, quantity, and price of the food and the excellent service renders that downside irrelevant.

Unfortunately, I cannot provide 5 stars on the "Atmosphere" of the Aksarben location. It is so loud you cannot hold a respectable conversation with people sitting at your own table. If you want to have a nice brunch I suggest going elsewhere. We could not finish our brunch fast enough. It is that loud. The music was also loud so this didn't help the situation. We will not go back to this location. We will continue to patronize the North Park location. I will compliment the service and staff at Aksarben. Our server was wonderful and personable. Please note, this negative review is in regard to the noise/atmosphere at the Aksarben location. The noise was so bad this is the reason for the overall 2-Star rating. It made the experience that bad.

Love their rotating coffee/drink specials. Hardest decision is do I want them hot or cold! My cousin and I frequent when she's back in town lol always have like 4 drinks or more. Say hi if you see us sometime. Also portions of food are nuts. Easy to share and/or take home! SO GOOD!!

What an amazing place with a great menu! We enjoyed the Gather Bowl (HIGHLY SUGGEST) and the Ricotta Cinnamon Pancakes (Also HIGHLY RECOMMEND). We did not realize we would need to order at a counter and then find a seat. However, we did not run into any issues finding an open table once one opened up! Would definitely come back next time we are in town!

Nice place to eat in a charming neighborhood. The menu is relatively small, but it has lots of interesting items like this Churro French Toast. You order your food and drinks right at the entrance then seat yourself. The atmosphere is nice, but the parking is kind of tricky: It’s all off street. Overall, though it’s a cool place with unique twists on breakfast staples like eggs Benedict.

Everything was great and I would definitely go here again. We got our food to go and I was happy with everything we ordered. My wife's burrito was really good and my chicken sandwich with candied jalapeños was on point.

We came here on June 16th 2025, Renee K was our sever. Probably the worst experience I’ve had. They do a order and pay stand when you walk in our food was $43.65 I went to grab my card grabbed the wrong one and said one sec, she rolled her eyes at us, and then when I went to pay the screen glichted out and went past the screen to tip then said it was $54.36 I said what? I thought it was $43 something and she said well I can’t go back. Very rude. The food okay but not great, all the meat products were so gross like they were fake and grilled on the sidewalk, very plain and not seasoning. Appeared good very disappointing.

Heard about their breakfast burrito and had to have one. Delicious! The service was kind and the food came out fast, and the spot itself was clean and inviting.

Breakfast was excellent. They have a unique pancake batter recipe that is quite good. And their potatoes are so good, no one else makes them this way that I know of. Mini spuds, smashed and cooked to a perfect crisp. Nice casual atmosphere. An impressive menu, with great prices. The only thing I wasn't fond of was that the coffee was extremely strong today. Other than that, everything was wonderful. A historic building, in a lovely historic neighborhood ♥︎

I usually order from Papillion but I work closer to this location. This is the 2nd order in a row where it showed up like this. For $15 this is unacceptable. Cold and shorted on food. At least fill the container bottom. They’ve forgotten drinks in the past and I’ve just let it be. But I’m tired of getting screwed. Avoid delivery from this location.

What a gem!!!! My daughter was feeling a little under the weather so we had the watermelon wake up with antioxidant boost. She had chocolate chip pancakes with the tacos. She loved all of it. I had the lemon ricotta pancakes with the fried egg. Way more food than we needed. We're gonna take half of it home and we'll eat it again for lunch. I would say it's a little pricer than some breakfast restaurants but as you're getting two separate meals out of it, it evens out And our waitress. I wanted to catch a quick bite, but didn't want fast food clogging my veins, so i tired around for a good place. I really enjoyed catching brunch in this clean, vibrant and relaxed eatery. The vibe is very supportive of military personnel, and several were present at the time. The food I ordered was on point, and I can be a picky eater when it comes to breakfast, so... Plenty of protein, not too carb heavy and drained just right. The service was I received was quick and friendly. Nice restrooms. Clean environment. Easy to find on Maps.

We were a party of 6 on Memorial Day so we expected a crowd and were not disappointed. Our server was first class and very attentive despite the crowd. I would have rated the food as 5 star, but the Belgian Waffles (3 of us had them) were cold so the butter did not melt. My eggs were perfectly cooked and the coffee was good. I would give it a second chance, especially if we had the same waitress.

This was my first experience at a First Watch and I was there to meet some friends for lunch. My initial thought was that it was pretty chaotic when I entered the restaurant and the staff at the host counter weren't the friendliest, but luckily I didn't have to interact with them that long as my friends were already at an outside table so I headed straight there to join them. Once at the table the atmosphere and staff was a lot better. Our waitress was very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. She helped make the experience very pleasant. The food was fresh and tasted great. Quick service, a wide variety of dishes and the specialty coffees were great. I'm sure I'll be back to try it out again.

Server was great and accommodating for our party. Very patient (with the kids and all our chatting) and attentive. Checked in with us the perfect amount of times even though the place was so busy. Manager even came by to greet and chat— says a lot to me about the caring atmosphere. The food portions are good and there is LOTS of variety! We visit Omaha often and this location is always one of our go to places!

My wife and I was out for Brunch and settled on Over Easy. Was very pleased we did! The host was very energetic and fun. Made the wait time go by. The wait is well worth every minute. I had the chicken and waffles( first time trying any) and my Sweetheart had the French toast. Order came out in a timely matter even tho they was busy. Food was nicely Presented. We will be becoming regulars. Follow me!

This food was so good!! The only thing better than the food was the service. Being shorthanded the staff still smiled, were personable, gave info on the food, helped with questions, and when it slowed slightly they swung by to talk a bit more. I'm gluten free and there isn't much that is GF but what is there is AMAZING!! We will be back.

great food! and they also have the hot sauce from a local gal that I love! *UPDATE* 10/24/21 they hosted a Harry Potter Themed menu. They decorated the place with pages from the books, printed out articles from the Daily Prophet (newspaper in Harry Potter) and more decorations behind the counter. The host was amazing. He had to deal with both great customers, as well as unruly ones. He was all over the place, and by the looks of it he was doing multiple jobs. The service is fantastic, and I'm sure that the food will be even better.

Returned recently because of their Harry potter themed brunch. The restaurant was decorated and the menu names had all been changed to Harry potteresque items. The eggs benedict was a five star item in terms of flavor. The breakfast carnitas were good as well though the sweet potato tator tots were not crispy. 4 stars The chicken and waffles (Harry potter themed) was good. I had some of my friends. 4.5 stars. One of them said they reminded her of the bubble waffle from Hong Kong cafes but it wasn't her favorite, but she loved the chicken. It remains a great spot for breakfast with pricing that runs a little higher. Previous review: Enjoyable little breakfast spot. Service was very good when we went, but at times difficult to get the servers attention. Would recommend the lobster cake Benny for something different. The Dutch baby was fine, but not my favorite. Hash brown rounds were enjoyable. You can add for $4.99 It's a very comfortable area to sit in. Parking is very easy. Happy to come back but still need to find a must have item. We didn't order the 2 notable ones from the menu. They have a Reuben that was voted one of the top and a breakfast boat that's "as seen on tv."

Over Easy is a wonderful restaurant on the outskirts of Omaha, Nebraska! We stopped here for breakfast on a road trip and got a few different things. Everything tasted wonderful, from the food to the drinks! I got the chicken and waffles, and they were some of the best chicken and waffles I’ve had in a long time! I am craving them so much and I hope I’m back in the area again soon so I can have them again. I loved the combination of waffle, perfectly-seasoned chicken, fruits and the spicy honey sriracha. Every bite was so flavorful! This is an awesome place that should be your next breakfast visit. I know I’ll be coming back next time I’m in Omaha!

Decent little breakfast joint. First time here, would come back, but I left a little hungry still. Everything had good flavor. I think these two hush puppy things are their version of hash browns? I was not impressed with those. The breakfast mimos adaptation was good. The Harry Potter themed event was amazing! 90-120 minute wait, but the butterbeer and pumpkin juice are so worth it. The food was solid but not out of the ordinary.

I had the West O Lobster Benedict and it was made well. There was a bit too much hollandaise sauce for my taste but overall it tasted great. The house coffee was pretty strong and full-bodied, the way I like it. The place was close to full when we got there but they still were able to seat us and take our orders fairly quickly. The interior was simple yet lively. I would say it’s a great place to go for breakfast and brunch especially because they also serve mimosas.

This place is awesome. Old school diner. Great coffee, big portions. Homemade donuts, cinnamon rolls, pecan rolls, and pies. Maybe the best country fried steak and gravy I've ever had.

I liked this place. I had the pancake, egg, and sausage combo with a side of homemade hash browns. The pancake was large, tasty, and went well with syrup. The hash browns had a nice balance of crispiness and softness. Portions were generous, and the staff was friendly and working hard, even though it was busy.

Had some friends in town, and being relatively newish to Omaha, this was a breakfast place that’s been on my list. Think of breakfast diner, but the food is solid! Looks very popular w the locals. The biscuits and gravy were well made with gravy galore! The three of us all agreed this place is worthy!

What an experience... It was like going back to 1958 all over again.. I had the special of the day... Are waitress zailey Was a very good waitress other than she did forget an order of toast end the cup of soup that I had ordered as well... Overall what a great experience and shout out to miss Pam.

Wanted to wait until after my 3rd visit (as an adult) to see if the perfection at Harold’s was legitimate. It is. Getting breakfast from Harold’s is like eating my grandmother’s Sunday Breakfast again. The 1st time I went I had the hash the 1st fantastic. 2nd and 3rd time I got a Veggie Omelet. I will not lie, I am very picky about my omelets. Last 2 times I got the Veggie omelet. It brought tears to my eyes it reminded me so much of my Grandmother’s. It was perfect. HUGE, but delicious and perfectly made. After going to almost every breakfast place from Blair to Bellevue, it is wonderful to have a place that is consistent, delicious with kind service and a phenomenal omelet maker! Way to go Front and Back of House!

My husband and I had heard about this place and wanted to try it out. It is quite small but it has a cute retro/vintage vibe. I ordered a veggie scramble with toast and my husband got the pancake combo (three cakes, a sausage and an egg). Overall it tastes good and the pancakes were thick. I would just say for the size of the meal compared to other breakfast locations the price was a dollar or two too high.

Food is great and cheap. Come early cause it gets busy really fast.

This is a cafe with great food you should check out. Fills up fast for breakfast and lunch. Tried the chicken fried steak casserole last week and it was delicious. Also really good coffee! The waitress was great kept my coffee cup full. Will return!

This looked like it was a local favorite. A lot of people knew each other and there was a lot of carry out. The food was good and came out quickly but the waitress was not the friendliest and we didn’t get water or coffee refills.

I must say I am very disappointed, I ordered a Husker Casserole and they gave me a box full of un melted cheese (WTH) . I ordered a scramble and was given an omelette and they tried to convince me it was a scramble! lol Clearly we need Lisa back this place has changed this is the second time they messed my order up and took my hard earned money! SMH its simple breakfast I am just too lazy to cook that's all but I will not do this again already been fooled

Small town hospitality in a big city. We were immediately welcomed as soon as we walked in the door, and we were sat pretty quickly as well even though every seat in the house was taken, which was a good sign for food & service. Our server was very quick to approach when we were sat and very attentive for ordering, drinks, taste of food, etc. Some may feel that as hovering but it was just right. Food was great and pricing was very good which was in it self welcoming in todays economy. Bring CASH to pay for your meal but incase you forgot like we did they have an ATM. If ever back in the area we will be back.

AJ’s Cafe is the epitome of a classic American breakfast. We ordered a “AJ’s cafe classic with chicken fried steak” and a “build your own combo with one biscuit and gravy with hashbrowns”. The service was great, food came out quick, and the food itself was well seasoned and delicious. Even the steak in the chicken fried steak was seasoned nicely. The biscuit seemed like it had been “seared” while it was baked and had a nice crisp to it like I’ve never had before. The atmosphere at the restaurant is also a highlight. Though it was bit small, it felt very homey and cozy. The prices were amazing considering the amount and quality of food. I will 100% be returning here for my breakfast fix.

We just found a new favorite breakfast place! Staff is friendly and fast on their feet. Personal attention. We had the menu in moments, one also posted next to our table and the specials explained without asking. Comfy and clean. Bonus for my crunchy friends: they clean tables with Thieves so no wafting of Clorox. Amazing smells and the food was plentiful! The prices were great-comparable to other cafes and more reasonable than the chain breakfast places in town.

Messed up the order. We never got our toast. Server Nicole was sweet, but the lady who brought the food was Agro. Always love Joe’s, but they can do better!

Eat Joe's be happy! Best breakfast in Omaha, hell in Nebraska. Huge portions, friendly fun staff, great service, delicious food, and all at prices that will leave u with plenty left in your wallet for a generous tip. We had the Ruben with a "side" (it was a full bowl not the soup cup I was expecting) of homemade French onion soup, the breakfast bagel special (bacon egg and cheese that puts McDonald's to shame) and a side order of a taco expecting it to be small (no surprise at this point, it wasn't). Needless to say we took some to go boxes with us. Total for everything was $23 (for real, even in this economy). We'll be back with reinforcements soon! 10/10

We finally got to try this joint on a Monday, it’s packed on weekend mornings like most breakfast places. It’s a seat yourself kind of deal and the servers get to you as quick as they can, but even on a Monday it’s busy. All the servers will attend to you as they pass by, just because, and they will overhear you discussing the menu with your table and make suggestions, it’s great, I overheard a server being honest about what’s good here and what isn’t. I really like that because the menu is massive. They were playing hole and nirvana on the tv in the restaurant. The kitchen whips plates out fast. The menu is massive and endlessly customizable, for almost every dish, you can customize the kind of cheese, bread, gravy, etc. the portions are huge. I ended up with two take away boxes just from my food. Ive been to lots of local breakfast eateries as an omaha native and most are mediocre and unfriendly and inconvenient with payment methods, joes cafe is probably my favorite and stands out.

Cozy little restaurant. Like u can eat outside to. Food is very good. Kid friendly, waitresses look out for each other. I got my girls enrolled in girls scouts because of them letting a little girl sell cookies outside. So thank u for that. My girls love it. 😊

What a great breakfast spot. The hash browns were so good I ordered a second serving! My wife usually picks at her food and doesn't eat much. She almost finished her plate of French toast. If you've been to Joe's you know how huge that portion is! They are very well staffed so service is quick and our coffee cups were never empty. The price is maybe the most amazing thing. For food this good, I'd easily expect to pay 50% more - at least...but did I mention the hash browns??

This was one of my wife’s favorite places when she lived in Omaha. We visited recently and had breakfast. The pastries looked amazing, and her Carmel roll was really good. She did mention that it used to have a lot more Carmel on it. She had the ham steak and poached eggs. I had the country fried steak. I loved that they had biscuits with it and gravy. There was a pretty decent crowd on a Saturday morning. We didn’t have to wait to be seated. We did not experience any of the negative things mentioned in other reviews about customer service.

Wonderful roast beef. Fabulous breakfast choices. Definitely come hungry. The peach crumble pie is wonderful.

We served your delicious Strawberry Wedding Cake and equally delicious Karen’s OooLaLa Chocolate Cake at a recent wedding. It was beautiful to serve and a treat to share with our guests. Many enjoyed and commented on them! Thanks for delivering outside of Omaha metro. It was much appreciated, and totally worth it! We love Wheatfield’s and have enjoyed for years.

Absolutely incredible! The service is fantastic. Alanna was sweet and on top of things my coffee was never even half empty. The quality completely wowed me. We couldn't finish our meals but ate most of them.

Big menu, big portions, decent service, but very busy so it took a while to get our order and food. Good cinnamon roll, but definitely not for one or even two people, share it with your table for sure.

We visited to celebrate our son’s birthday and were seated promptly, which was a great start. Our server approached and immediately said she would bring us waters. While I typically prefer to order something other than water—especially for a special occasion—I waited until she returned to let her know my actual drink choice. Unfortunately, she seemed visibly annoyed by the change. Our food arrived quickly, which we appreciated. My meal was absolutely delicious—so much so that my son ended up claiming it for himself! However, my husband’s fruit side dish had a hair in it. Instead of requesting a replacement, we asked for a side of pancakes instead. Again, our server appeared annoyed by the request. After we finished eating and it was time to pay, it seemed as though our server was relieved we were leaving. As someone who also works in the service industry, I was surprised by the lack of warmth and attentiveness. I understand everyone has off days, but customer experience—especially during a celebration—is so important.

Established cafe been here for 20+ years. In general, it's hard to find excellent breakfast places (researched reviews so drove 10 mi from my home to try cafe). I tried the a Ham, cheese, onions & hash browns scramble. It came with a large cin roll and fruit (see photos in reviews). Plenty to eat and delicious. I left with cin roll. Tried cafe before but left as too busy on weekend. Today was a Wed. Mangelsen's is next door & has an entrance open in cafe, if you decide to wait & brouse store.

My wife and myself plus our son went here for my birthday recently. I had heard many good things and I was not disappointed. The service was a tad bit slow but acceptable. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will be going back. I personally had the fly and it was delicious!

Arrived to eat brunch and the atmosphere is amazing along with their service! Florence was super nice and took great care of us! Started with coffee, very unique flavor, illy brand. They do notate GF on the menu for dishes that can be prepared GF, but ask your server what the substitution or elimination will be on the dish before ordering. They have gluten-free buns, cross-contaminated fryers, & sadly their hashbrowns have gluten ingredients 😢. That being said, I ordered eggs Florentine which came on a gluten-free bun. Since I couldn't have hashbrowns i did order fries(I can handle some CC) but you can get fruit as a substitute. The flavors of the Florentine was absolutely scrumptious! I would order again! Others ordered chicken waffle & croque madame and they both said food was great. Portions seemed small but was filling. It is an elegant/casual/comfortable place. Its the Small things they did that i Loved! Example, servicing my coffee cup with a saucer & spoon! Love having a place to set my spoon after my stir and not on a table! 5 stars just for that!!! And im challenged to see the menu in dark lit rooms, it was well lite but they had the cutest touch lamps on the tables! Loved them!!! You can't tell by the outside how wonderful this restaurant is, go check it out!!!

Had a 3 course meal for an outstandingly reasonable price. The interior is classy, and everyone helped make sure our time was enjoyable. Loved the look of their cocktail menu, and the food menu full of delightful surprises.

Great food, fantastic flavor! The menu was different and challenging for my basic breakfast husband and food came out slow, so I was afraid this wasn't going to be a great experience. Food presentation was spot on and the flavor.... so good. Husband had the Pileup and I had the croque madame. One of the best breakfasts we have ever had. Thank you!

One of my favorite restaurants in Omaha! I made reservations well in advance for mother's day brunch. The location is a bit unassuming as it's located in a strip mall next to a clothing alternation shop. But when you walk in, you'll find a relaxed and upscale environment. Our party of 6 was quickly seated and greeted. We all ordered different meals, but I only took a picture of mine, lol. The carnitas tacos were to die for, and no bits or pieces were left behind. We will surely be back!

We weren't sure from the outside but the inside is very nice. We ordered meatballs for an appetizer and these were the best meatballs I've ever had. Very crispy on the outside and the marinara sauce was great. The prime rib was amazing and the Mac and Cheese was pretty epic with the 3 different meats.

Very disappointed in my birthday brunch with my boyfriend's mom and sister. Mom ordered two poached eggs which were essentially raw when served. I ordered the croche madam that came with sunny side up eggs on it. My eggs were also raw with clear egg whites. I sent it back and my appetitewas ruined. My boyfriend got The Pile Up, which he said was good, but cold. The manager apologized and removed my breakfast from the bill, which was appreciated. We are unlikely to return.

Very Good food, mediocre friendliness from staff. Not my type of place, but the food was great. Personally, I wont go back. But not because of food or service. Just different views than the owners. If you support their style.... id highly recommend eating here. Biggest bowl & Best tomato soup ive had in a long time!! I had the wygu burger. The atmosphere is great. I had high expectations. The hummus snack was good, and the popcorn is yummy. However, the sandwich bread was a bit over-toasted, which gave it a bitter taste, making it hard to finish.

Kitchen Table is setting the standard when it comes to making delicious meals for the family. I’m an Omaha native, and one of the highlights in visiting the area is at least one meal at Kt. The meatloaf sandwich is packed full of vibrant flavors, and the deviled eggs are the best deviled eggs I have ever had. My kids love the seasoned popcorn, and the staff is always friendly and helpful in providing recommendations. The service is quick and the meals are fairly priced. We need more restaurants like Kitchen Table in this world! Kudos to the owners, Jessica and Colin, for making some of the most delicious food in all of the Midwest.

Unique and delicious food. The chili crisp egg sandwich had some mix flavor and richness to it. The pickle surprise had some interesting things I’ve never had pickled before. Will be here every time I’m in town.

My partner and I were in town for a day and walked here for lunch from our hotel. The food was fantastic! We had the tomato soup, the panzanella salad and the your call salad. We'll definitely be back to this welcoming and unpretentious local small business the next time we are in town.

The breakfast was fantastic! My French toast was not greasy and tasted wonderful. The Canadian bacon was smoky to my liking. Everything was just great. The restaurant doesn’t have too many seats available so it was a long like around 9am on Sunday. I am glad we got there before 9 and I would go back again!

Charming restaurant in downtown omaha, without the Old Market high prices. Fresh Sour dough bread, made by the owner himself, with a variety of sandwiches to choose from. Nice atmosphere, with great seating arrangements

I was pretty disappointed with the food this time around. Jam's burger was overcooked, grilled cheese was burnt and the plates were dirty. The customer service of the bartender and the waitress was excellent. We got our food pretty quick, refills on drinks were quick but we were too nervous to complain about the food issues.

Stopped in for happy hour while exploring Omaha. Great happy hour... cheap bar snacks and $5 wines 🍷. I also decided to get a half salad. They had so many unique salads to choose from. And I loved how the had the half options available. I got the coconut chicken salad and it was honestly one of the best salads I've ever had. The flavors were so unique and came together perfectly (I will try to recreate this at home lol). Service was excellent as well. And I loved sitting outside of the patio. It was the perfect fall day.

The old design of the building made the restaurant really cozy and the choice of music was good. When we enter the restaurant, I immediately went straight to the lady at the bar thinking she was the receptionist, cause the door was facing straight to the bar and the receiving area was at the very corner of the right side. The lady bartender, told us that the receptionist will attend us shortly. We were ushered to the table and shortly after a waitress came. Service was ok. We ordered bruschetta for the appetizer, it was good, I loved it, but has too much toppings, it affected the crunchiness of the baguette. For the main course, I ordered for the meatloaf and ceasar salad and my husband had ( forgot the name of the food) a sandwich with some kind a pulled pork with fries. Meatloaf was a big serving but it has less meat more on fillers( breadcrumbs), not the best meatloaf I had. The salad was not fresh. Total experience was typical. Updated: We went back for bruch, and the foods were good and the service was better.

Clarissa was my bartender/server, she was very friendly and knowledgeable. She recommended a few different food items to me and we had great conversations. She made the best margarita I’ve ever had!! I indulged in the lobster tacos and HOLY MOLY were the huge. Absolutely delicious perfect amount of sauce and spicy. 10/10 recommend Clarissa being your server!! Thank you!!!

Good food. Service is almost perfect. Note: they charge 3% on credit card payments. Food is really good and not expensive/overpriced for a downtown restaurant. Service was a bit slow, but with a little improvement this place will be 5 stars. They charge 3% for credit card transactions. They are upfront about it and don't hide it. It's on the bill. I don't mind it if they are transparent and honest about it, which they are. My advice, bring cash to save 💵

I never leave bad reviews on places since I believe every restaurant can have mistakes, but this one was just the worst. First off, we had a reservation at 7pm and when we got there at 6:55pm they had us waiting for more than 30 minutes. They finally sat us at 7:35 and brought us a small plate of fries to “compensate”. The food was very fast, i’ll give them that. When it finally came, turns out my burger was burnt. I asked for medium, but cut just tasted so plain and burnt. I tried eating it since I was hungry, but I couldn’t because it just tasted horrible. Overall, horrible experience and don’t recommend coming here at all.

One of Downtowns consistently great restaurants. Service staff are fabulous. Food quality, and variety is top notch. Drinks and cocktails are reasonably priced for downtown. Only negative is the parking location can be very busy on Friday and Saturday night and is shamefully expensive. Highly recommend Jams for dinner for two or large party.

Stopped in for breakfast and overall had a great experience! The food was really good — classic diner breakfast done right. I especially loved the homemade biscuits; they were warm, flaky, and definitely the highlight of the meal. Their pancakes were also very tasty. Prices were super reasonable, and despite how busy it was, the food came out surprisingly fast. The only downside was the service. Our server spent a lot of time up front chatting with other staff while the place was completely packed. It didn’t affect how fast we got our food, but it did feel a bit unprofessional and made it hard to get refills or extra items. But overall, we enjoyed it.

Shirley Diner delivered exactly what I needed—a comforting taste of home during a hectic business trip. The food was excellent, true home-style cooking that hit the spot. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up with my order: I asked for beef fried steak but was served chicken instead. When I pointed it out, the waiter insisted it was correct, which led to an awkward exchange. Despite that, the overall experience was positive. The cozy atmosphere and hearty meal made it a welcome respite from the road.

First time and not impressed. We got the country breakfast and the hash browns are mushy. The pancakes came out finally after we finished eating and they was horrible. Could not even cut them with my fork. Only thing that was good was the sausage patties and eggs. I won’t be back and will return to vidlaks for my breakfast.

My wife and I love this place. Excellent food combined with a traditional, but an innovative menu makes this a perfect place for breakfast or lunch or dinner for that matter. The waitresses are attentive and the service is great.

We came on a Saturday for lunch and got seated right away. There were so many breakfast and lunch options, and everything we ordered was delicious and came in large portions. Great service, too. 🍳

Arrived just before noon and was seated quickly. I didn't have to wait very long for the waitress. Service was outstanding, the food was fantastic I will definitely try and come back.

I like the decor: blue ceilings. It is very lively. Cappuccino and flat white coffee were good like the other location in midtown. Blueberry scone and breakfast sandwich were also good. It was too bad… because I went there for the croissant. It was out at that time. Yeah, it can get very crowded. Thanks to the staff for being very professional, providing friendly and polite services.

Finally made it into the shop. Tried their breakfast. You order at the counter and pay first. They will bring the food out to you. Food is served on disposable plates. Water is available from a dispenser by the door. Plenty of seating. The room is very bright with Windows, it's a corner spot so very nicely lit in the day. Their kitchen closes at 2pm Monday to Thursday right now. We ordered this during covid19. Price: $25 Delivery: $5 Tax: $1.75 Total: $$31.75 7 pieces plus caramels If you counted the pieces they average about $3.60 a piece but with free caramels. I was worried about too many sweet things when I ordered it but I think it's a decent mix. The roll cake was super soft and squishy when I took it out of the box. I haven't had a chance to eat them yet but of course the first thing I had to do was take a photo, since my hobby is food photography. The croissant is super flaky. That's probably going to be the first thing I dig into. Super happy they included a scone since that was one of the things I wanted to order after the fact. The loaf was a blueberry loaf of some sort. The triangle pieces are a brownie with tahini. It was the perfect amount of chocolate for me. You can microwave it for a few seconds. The one thing I wish was they included a list of what you actually got, but I'm super stoked to have baked goods in my house. Having variety is great since there's only 2 of us in my household (not including my dogs) Looking forward to trying their items in house when all this is over. The coffee was ok, but a little low on flavor. The quiche was $8 and not worth the price. It did not taste fresh and seemed to come from a frozen box. It had that plastic-like texture to the egg.The bacon jam seemed like a good idea but tasted more like BBQ pulled pork with way too much sugar. It’s a nice spot to sit and get work done.

This place was fantastic! So good in fact that we went here both mornings we were in town for breakfast! I had French toast, biscuits and gravy, as well as a sandwich and all of it was great! I also had a coffee which was very smooth. I sat along the bar so we could see the kitchen and they worked together very well to get as much food out as they did. The flavors of both food and coffee were great!

Great ambience, a live classic vinyl dj, and amazing food. Luke and Andrew were in the kitchen and made everything perfectly. Quincy made sure we were happy and satisfied with our food. The batistas made an excellent Flat White and Slow Pour.

The flat white was incredible. The coffee was smooth and not bitter at all. I had mine with almond milk no sugar and it was perfect. I ordered the open veggie. It was a TON of food. No way I could finish it. The roasted veggies were flavored well and something on it had a slight kick of heat. Very pleased with the experience at culprit today. Neat little cafe tucked away on a corner in downtown.

Loved everything about it! Service, food, atmosphere! Hubby had biscuits and gravy yesterday-🙌🏻. Today the French toast. For me, steel cut oatmeal and beignets both days!! Delish! Oh and the cinnamon roll was the bomb! Next time in Omaha, we will be back!! We highly recommend! PS I was so excited to eat, I forgot to take a pic of my oatmeal before! Very nice and welcoming atmosphere, we sat in the outer covered front patio. Service was good and the food was good! We all finished our food and we pleased. We shared all 3 appetizers for Sunday Brunch: donut holes, burrata, and deviled eggs. I got the Brunch Smash Burger. My only draw back was that the burger patties were too thick for a smash burger BUT it was still pretty good.

Had a very pleasant evening at the restaurant. The atmosphere was subdued and relaxed, making for a comfortable dining experience. Service was excellent and prompt, even though the restaurant was busy. The food was good but a bit pricier than I had anticipated. The portions didn't quite match up to the cost, but the quality of the food made up for it. That said, the oysters were not only exquisite but were the one thing that did seem like it was a plentiful amount! My main disappointment was with the seating arrangement. For the price, I expected a more relaxed area, but the only options were high-top tables, more suitable for a bar than a fancy restaurant.

Good with the potential to be Great! Food - outstanding! Hot, tasty, consistent, pretty. Drinks - They were okay. Great concept going, but needs refinement & to be consistent. Service - lacking. Our server was busy, but she rushed us a bit much and she knew nothing at all about the menu. Could tell us what was popular, but could not really describe anything or give us feedback on what she liked. Bottom line, loved this place, as I understood it, they just rolled out a new menu, so learning it and trying the food takes time. I would for sure visit again!

Initial visit Risotto 5 🌟 everything about this dish was perfect Grilled cheese 4 🌟 it would have been a 5 had it come out hot. Avocado toast. For me this was 4 🌟 though my dining companion claims it's the best one she's ever had. Service was polite but not exceptionally friendly. We had a few issues. Quality check came in pretty late. I love their sister restaurant so I'm hoping that this was just a one time fluke and if I returned it would be improved on. This is located in the Blackstone district so parking can be difficult. If you take a photo of your parking receipt from visitor lot on 38th and Farnham they will take $5 off as long as your meal was over $25 and it's a same day ticket.

So far I have only been for brunch. Beautiful interior - when its warm out the front is wide open to fresh air. They have good mimosas and bloody mary's! The food was good but not the highest quality.

My partner and I have been here several times and this is now our favorite place in Omaha. We love sharing the smaller plates from their local-sourced menu, which changes each season. Our favorite dishes are the shrimp toast, spätzle with oxtail, and brussel sprouts. Delicious and strong cocktails, and lots of local beer options. Love that kids are still welcome here, and that they have happy hour every day, including the weekend from 2-6 PM. Service matches the food, it's been wonderful every visit.

My first timer here. A cool atmosphere and good food. The drink menu variety is good enough but not great. The popcorn chicken with Bleu cheese was great. The french dip was fantastic as well. I'll be back for me!

Very cute mom and pop restaurant. It was very busy when we came for Sunday breakfast but the wait time went by fast. Good food! We will definitely have to try the huge cinnamon roll next time.

We’ve been coming to Vidlak’s for over 7 years, and it’s truly one of our absolute favorite spots in Omaha. It’s the place we always recommend to visiting friends and family—and for good reason. Everything on the menu is delicious. I especially love their sausage links (they’re unlike anything you typically find at other breakfast places), and their buttermilk pancakes, French toast, and cinnamon roll all hold a special place in my heart. The staff are usually so kind and helpful, and they always make my toddlers feel special and welcome—they really enjoy the attention! It’s a cozy, comforting little piece of home for us. That said, our most recent Sunday visit was unfortunately the worst experience we’ve had in all the years we’ve been coming. Our server was noticeably short with us from the beginning, but was very outgoing and warm with what appeared to be a few of her regulars. She took our order but didn’t check back even once until she dropped off the check. Thankfully, the staff running food and refilling coffee were wonderful—the gal going around topping off mugs was especially sweet and attentive. As always, the food was delicious, but I ended the meal feeling uneasy after finishing my coffee. My mug had been refilled several times throughout our visit, and only at the very last sip did I notice a piece of a pink sugar packet at the bottom—which I never use. It left me with the unpleasant assumption that my mug may not have been properly cleaned. Because of that, I’ll be taking a little break from Vidlak’s (and definitely from their coffee). But this one experience doesn’t erase years of amazing meals and memories. We’ll be back eventually—just hoping for the warm, welcoming service we’ve always known and loved.

We found Vidlak's through a Google search, "Great reubens near me" on a recent trip to Omaha. We agree! Our sandwiches were all you want in a reuben. We chose rings and sweet potato waffle fries that arrived hot and crispy. Old-fashioned service and vibe. We came at 11am, and the place was packed with breakfast and noon customers. Don't miss it!

Weekends can get busy, and since it’s self-pay at the end, the line tends to build up but that’s all part of the charm. This cozy, family-run spot serves up generous portions and keeps the coffee flowing. The older ladies are incredibly sweet, and the servers stay friendly and attentive, even in the hustle. I found this place by chance while hunting for the best cinnamon roll and they delivered. It was soft, fluffy, and tasted freshly made, like it came straight from their own kitchen. It’s not your typical Broken Egg, Early Bird, or First Watch but it’s got a true family vibe that makes you feel right at home.

You just can't go wrong here, nothing flashy, no crazy concoction, just simple downright good 'ol cafe food at a good price. Staff exceptionally kind, plenty of space where they don't cram in tables and you have to squeeze into your seat.

Lovely! We stopped here on our way home from a road trip to see a concert. I ordered the country fried steak breakfast and my husband had 2 omelettes with hasbrowns. The "silver dollar" pancakes are as big as your hand! And they came wirh the cutest little individual syrup pitchers. The food was delicious! The hasbrowns crispy on the outside and my steak was crispy on the outside but tender enough inside to cut with a fork. Highly reccomend! Don't miss this one!

Tried breakfast here today and with the Western omelet you get a few sides, I choose biscuits and gravy and toast. The biscuit was very fresh and really good sized. The gravy was a really good consistency and really flavorful. The omelet was really good and the filling of ham, cheese and peppers were really good. Ice tea was very fresh and the waitress made sure they kept flowing, never had to grab their attention to get a refill. The music I thought was a bit loud at times which may make it tough for those wanting to really have a conversation. Parklng lot had a rough spot at the handicap spots.

Order food to go figuring it would be busy due to the holiday weekend. Bacon had 0 flavor, and everything was ice cold. Cheese on the scrambled eggs I didnt ask for was not melted as it had become solid again due to the lack of warm temperature. Hashbrowns were barely crispy as if they threw it on the grill precooked. Was at the restaurant before order was due to be ready and we live 5 minutes away so it had to be sitting somewhere before we received it. $45 (includes a 22% tip) never again!

Here from Minnesota!! We were referred to come here by the hotel desk lady. They didn’t disappoint not one bit!! We came as a Xlarge group and was treated like your real cousins coming in from out of town ❣️❣️Sierra was so kind and on top of everything. Haven't been here in some time and they did an upgrade. Loved the waffles on the ceiling. Food was amazing! I love their sandwiches and their breakfast omelets are great. Always worth a drop in.

Ate at Jimmy's Egg for the first time this morning and was very impressed. I'll be the first to admit that I'm fairly picky about food. The breakfast burrito was very good and the hashbrowns were pure perfection. Personally, I'd prefer a bit more sausage in the burrito but it was still great. The caramel iced coffee was great. Our server was super friendly and helpful. The establishment was clean and the atmosphere was fun and welcoming.

Best bagel shop in Omaha. Wide variety of bagels that are always fresh and the sandwiches they make are extremely tasty. The staff is also very helpful, courteous and kind. If you’re not sure what you want, they’ll help guide you in the right direction. The bagels are like New York bagels, where they’re not filled with a bunch of bread. Highly recommend.

Outstanding customer service! Was traveling thru and decided to stop and pick up some bagels to bring back to Iowa. Customer service at 6am was friendly and amazing. Bagels are beyond amazing and fresh!

Worth going out of your way!! We come here every time we end up in Omaha. Classic bakery with absolutely delicious bagels! So many combinations possible of bagels to spreads that everyone will find a favorite. It's a popular spot and can get busy, but the staff are lightning quick and very friendly.

I had heard of them but hadn’t gone, so this morning I stopped by for a quick bite, I was promptly greeted by the ladies across the counter and helped right away. While I waited for my order a man came up to the front from the back to replenish the bagels and he genuinely seemed to be enjoying his day, I love it when the staff is happy to be there. The bagel was fresh and delicious, the lox spread hit the spot! Will definitely be back!

Great to have a bagel shop in Omaha that make fresh bagels! We bought bakers dozen and I loved the blueberry and sesame one. We also purchased two tubs of cream cheese but I think the flavor were okay on those. In my opinion, not strong enough (honey walnut & garlic chive)! Will visit again because my husband loves freshly made bagels!

Bagel Bin is one of our favorite breakfast places in Omaha. The bagels are just too good and on top of that, they are Kosher, which means that this place is also great for the people seeking halal breakfast places in Omaha. We highly recommend this place to all the people in Omaha and all the visitors.

Finally made the trip to Bagel Bin, and they did not disappoint. I got the apple cinnamon bagel, and my wife got the cinnamon raisin. We each picked out a sweet cream cheese. Her's was honey walnut, and mine was honey maple. Everything was good. The bagels had a nice chew, and the cream cheeses were fluffy. I personally would get the apple bagels again. The apple prices were too small for my liking, but it was still a good quality bagel. The maple honey cream cheese was also too rich for me, but delicious nonetheless. If you are in the area, check this local gem out and skip the chains. I plan to get an egg bagel and onion cream cheese next time. I will post an update after my next visit.

It's been a few years since I visited this location but the food has usually been good and so has the staff. This visit was disappointing in both aspects. I asked for a breakfast sandwich. The menu said "brioche" bun. It was not. It was a cold hamburger bun. I tried to make the best of it, took a bite, and immediately asked if I could get my sandwich made with Texas toast. The server went to the back with my sandwich only AFTER she had me scrape my hash browns off the plate. She came back with my same sandwich filling because my bite mark was still there only now it was between 2 slices of.....TOAST. I've eaten at more restaurants than I've served at but I have served in a restaurant at a management level. Her manager failed here. Or she didn't bother to say she understand and ask for help. Huge disappointment, especially because since I could get a breakfast sandwich at a fast food spot that is exactly what it says on the menu for less that $10.

Jeanette is awesome. She is always so friendly and professional. The atmosphere is more high end and comfortable since the remodel. Although I do miss the orange and decor. The tables are a nice size to fit the food and plates. The food is delicious and onion rings are crispy.

They've got the griddled pancake game in a chokehold! Very delishhh, freshly prepared, with the perfect fluff/color. I should not be so excited about a pancake, lol. The food was ok, service was fast, and good.

Three of us walked in and was promptly greeted and sat. Waitress came immediately for drinks and then orders. As soon as our food came, she handed us our bill, not waiting to see if we wanted anything else. At this point, I feel like she doesn't want us to be there. As we finished our meal, I had my card out to pay. She ran by and grabbed our plates never stopping to look that we were ready to pay, took off. After several tries, she finally came over to let us pay. If I wanted anything else, that was our the window when I had my bill before my first bite of food.

First time eating here today, walking in it kind of reminded me of a Perkins. We were seated by one of the employees at the front of the house. Our server Alina was super sweet, and did an excellent job taking care of us and handling our order, and I was not disappointed when she recommended the strawberry crepes. She had our drinks out to us very quickly, the coffee was fresh and hot, she even took care to make sure she knew what flavor creamers to bring to the table. I ordered the strawberry crepes, and my other half got the eggs benedict, and added cheese. The food tasted excellent, I will suggest however that if your food comes with any sauces, sweet or savory, to request your sides on a separate dish. I had strawberry sauce all over my bacon and potatoes, which was a bit off putting, but Alina was very quick to correct the issue, which I was very appreciative of. Overall, It's a nice little place to grab breakfast. It is a bit expensive for what you get, but everywhere is getting more expensive. I would eat here again just because of the crepes. Plus, I would love to try their banana cream pie or silk pie.

I know single diners aren't always servers favorites, but Nikki took really good care of me today! Even though she was the only server (from what I could tell) she was on top of every table in the room and brought everything I could possibly need when my food came (syrup, jams, lots of creamer, a water, etc) Food came out hot and the coffee was freshly brewed. Hashbrowns were perfectly cooked and there was plenty of butter for the pancakes. 100/10 🔥 THANK YOU!

Coffee is great but the service seems like the staff thinks you should feel lucky to get their coffee and their service. Same at South 13& Farnam locations. The don't say hi or acknowledge you when you come in and they don't take names on the coffee nor do they call out orders when ready they just set them on the counter and expect you to fend for yourself. That's what I get for stopping by because it was conveniently on my way to work not again I'll go out of my way for Hardy coffee from now on at least they act like they want you there. Oh the banana bread is good though.

As avid espresso drinkers with a home setup, we're can be picky about our coffee shops. This place was decent. We stopped by during our long drive and it did the trick. I would curious on what else is available in Omaha though.

My mom and I stopped in here for breakfast one morning and thought it was just ok. I had the breakfast burrito made with chorizo sausage and it was extremely greasy which made it a bit unappetizing. The service wasn't great as I had to ask for water refills twice as our waitress was busy chatting with others.

Standing discount price breakfast specials for "early birds" (06:00 - 08:00). Both a cozy booth seating section and a flexible table-and-chairs section for larger groups. Easy access off Fort Street or Templeton Drive with ample parking. Will definitely be returning to this location again.

Stopped here on our way through town. Clearly a local favorite. Lovely and accommodating staff. Great food. Thank you for a great meal. There was 8 of us and got seated right away. Me and my family have been here many times, always had good food! This time my chicken fried steak was burnt, very crunchy, and greasy. Definitely will get again but hopefully cooked right next time.

The place was fine, music was a little loud. Food came out quickly but eggs, bacon and toast was lukewarm only thing hot, were the home fries. Portion was decent. We were all over 60 years old, yet the server Christine, kept calling us "girls", not ladies, Which I found particularly offensive, as she wasn't greeting anyone else that way. She was friendly enough but she said that at least 10 times during our visit. Can u say, annoying!!??

I got the sea salt caramel French toast. I was worried it would be too sweet but it was absolutely perfect!!! Had some of the biscuits and gravy too. Honestly everything we had was amazing!

I don’t live close to here anymore but I love this place! The coffee is great and the people are always so sweet. I’ve gone tons of times for years and no problems ever. Either during a rush or when there is nobody there the attitude of the cashiers/baristas is always so positive and helpful. I love their message and values as a business (support veterans and environmentally conscious) so I often go out of my way to support them. Good food and drinks for what you pay, too. Customer for life :)

Idk if they were having a bad day but the muffin I got tasted like perfume. It reminded me of what a clean gas station bathroom smells like. You know exactly what I’m talking about. That soap they have in the dispensers at the gas stations? That is what my muffin tasted like. I tried to order my drink and got told 2 different times they were out of something. Came for a dirty chai, they didn’t have chai, tried to get a frappe, they didn’t have frappe powder, every now and again I drive from Bellevue to this location because they have the best dirty chai I can find in Omaha, I was really disappointed to not get what I drove out of my way for. I guess next time I should call? I’ll never eat a muffin from here again though, it was terrible! I’ve had their scones and cookies and I’ve never had an issue. All in all not happy and no “I’m sorry about that” was said either, just kind of shitty. Oh well!

We have been Green Bean customers for over 6 years. Always enjoy our Wednesday morning family coffee time. I understand the store had some employee issues, and hope it is all resolved, so the wonderful tradition of Green Beans can continue. My father is a veteran and he used to go to Green Beans when he was deployed in Iraq. He suggested that I come here and I fell in love with the food, vibe, and service right away! I love that there are bookshelves all around the sitting areas and that the front windows stretch from the floor to the cieling! If you want your mind blown, I recommend the Fruit Smoothie and the Grand Croissant. I really appreciate that they celebrate the veterans that keep our country safe! Thank you Green Beans! 🫶 🇺🇲

It appears that some items on the menu were not up-to-date, and I was charged an incorrect amount. The cashier seemed unaware of the discrepancy, and when I brought it to the attention of the apparent manager, she simply stated that the menu panel was outdated, without offering any apologies or demonstrating any hospitality. I believe this establishment could benefit from improvements in their customer service. As a result, I left with a negative impression and, despite it being the only coffee shop in the area, I do not plan to return.

Veteran owned coffee shop with military discounts. We went as a group. They currently have a Groupon offer which is great to get if you want to try this place out. I would be back. The breakfast sandwiches were all very good and large. I'm hesitant with sausage sometimes because I've had quite a few mediocre ones lately. This sausage was better than most. Not too peppery (think scooters). Our favorite was the breakfast tartine with the bechamel sauce. The coffee is good with sizes from 16 oz to 32 Parking is available in a large lot. It is in Millard (SW Omaha) If you have kids, in the back they have a play area with bar seating so you can watch your child while you have your coffee. They also have a drive through.

This place is AMAZING! Save your money from Starbucks and come here instead! The coffee is sooo good and they have so many sizes you can choose from. This is the 20oz and it’s absolutely perfect. Also the smoothies are to die for…I get them for my kids but find myself stealing drinks from it because it’s so good! & don’t get me started on the burritos! Holy moly….just do yourself a favor and try this place.

Gave me waffles that is not done cold and soggy. The bacon is not done and stringy. eggs are cold. I literally stay 3 blocks away and drove my car. It was not busy either. This is the third time this has happened when we came in. We don’t dine in cause it’s not welcoming to us. We have had this happen three times with the food this way and this time I just have to let others know that will come here. Please caution this place they do not cook for people who order out. If you look a certain way the place really does a good job of letting you know they do not want you to dine in.

I’ve come here with my daughter a few times and each time is special. The food is good, the service is good, and the atmosphere is nice. The last time was before Easter and 2 gentlemen gave my daughter a mini bible. This time, someone paid for our meal/tip so we paid it forward. My daughter loves our breakfast dates here and I do too!

The hollandaise is good and there are enough Benedict choices to keep me happy. The sandwich with the raspberry sauce rocks. The fancy lavender latte is fun. I've had consistently good experiences here.

Treated my hubby to breakfast for his birthday and ended up being a wonderful trip. We asked if they had mimosas, and our server informed us they didn't, but we stayed and got some delicious meals. To boot... while eating our meal, our server brought him an amazing cinnamon roll and said "Happy Birthday" and walked away. It was so amazing that she overheard me wishing him happy birthday and did something so sweet. He said the burrito was so good that we would have to go back sometime. The omelet was one I built myself, and it was good, but the potatoes that came with it were the spotlight of my meal. They had the prefect combination of olive oil and garlic seasoning with herbs - so yummy!

What a disappointment. $50 for a very mediocre breakfast for two. Only thing that was great was the service and the coffee. Other than that, food size was on the small side. Peasant potatoes were overcooked the point where it was like chewing on rocks. And the size of the chicken fried steak that they brought me was ridiculous, with very little gravy. I have to say I would not recommend this place. It used to be one of my favorites. Unfortunately I will be putting it on the list of do not return.

My experience had been above and beyond today. I was greeted with open friendliness and was seated immediately with little to wait. I got to sit up at the bar and watch the scenery of all the staff. I was greeted with fun hats happy sweaters. After sitting a dangerous foe(my hunger) had been bested by a great knight(their pancakes of the month love cranberry orange<33) I had ordered a cookie butter chai as my drink and without asking I even got extra cookie butter like they could read my mind and knew I loved the stuff. I got about 14 inches of whipped cream and it reminded me of the leaning tower of pizzazz. And upon my request I got the green and silver sprinkles that usually come with the grinchy matcha. Throughout the meal I had a personal emotional support server to eat my cranberries for me. And my amazing server Chloe brought out my room before I even ordered like she could read minds. Mary grace helped. Overall the service was absolutes fantastic. I will definitely be coming back to the ye ole’ establishment in hopes of more glorious quests and accomplishments. Our journeyed have been fun but it’s time for me to depart this party and go on my own…. Goodbye le peep I shall see you again.

First time visit and we are impressed and hooked! Service was pleasant and prompt. The restaurant is well kept and inviting. The food was excellent. Best biscuits I've ever had and I've had a few! Definitely going to make this a regular spot!

Still going to give 5 because it is a good place. Burger was cooked well done instead of med rare as requested and there was an offer to make it right but was declined. Burger in picture was requested with no bun. Onion rings were good. Burger had a good crust on it and was seasoned well. Soup was good. Good mixture of textures and flavor was there with the ham amd potato.

Exceptional experience. The food was fantastic, fresh, hot! Portions for the price was great. The wife enjoyed it so well, she saved it in one of our apps to revisit. The hashbrowns were fresh, not a frozen variety. 5 STARS!!

Flight was delayed, and finding this spot ended up being a blessing. I am only upset that I couldn't try more of the food. If you ove non-commercial diners with home cooking and friendly service, this is the spot.

Wow, so glad we stopped into Nite Hawkes Cafe for breakfast! Excellent service from our waitress, who was attentive to all of her tables and was going above and beyond. (wish I would have asked her name). Restaurant was clean and comfortable with plenty of space between tables to make conversation easy. Food came out quick and warm, looking and tasting delicious. Hashbrowns were perfect and hotcakes were light and fluffy. We will be back!

Very small and quaint. Could be problematic if busy. Seat yourself, browse menu then order at counter. No pop or fountain drinks. Self serve water. Food delivered to table. No mustard, very limited butter that you fetch yourself from a condiment stand. Food was average, greeted by a very friendly female whom we never saw again during our brief meal. Cashier remained on cell phone while 3 cooks appeared very busy. A bit more than I would pay again. A one and done place for us.

One of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had. I go at 10am on a Sunday and find a seat at the bar. It’s crowded but food comes out so fast tables turn frequently. The southwest burrito is something I’ll be thinking of for a long time. I can’t wait to return. The coffee was actually good too.

Sunnyside on Center is my absolute favorite place in Omaha for breakfast. The food is full of flavor, pictured is the standard quesadilla with steak. You absolutely must get the green chili sauce, it’s made from scratch and is the best green chili sauce I’ve ever tasted. I put it on everything. The thing that sets sunnyside apart from Omaha’s numerous great breakfast restaurants is the service. Every time I’ve come in the staff is super friendly and attentive. It feels like a small down cafe in the heart of the city in the best way.

Great little breakfast spot that is super quick with fantastic service (even if it's primarily counter service) I loved how friendly the staff was when we came in. Immediately felt welcomed The decor is a little eclectic with is two types of chairs. It's small but still bright and airy feeling inside. Chorizo breakfast egg and cheese sandwich 5 stars We added the 2 hashbrowns and a drink. Think of a much better/gourmet version of McDonald's breakfast. Street corn burrito 4.5 stars Southwest burrito 4.5 stars Both were good in it's own right. The problem is, it's not mixed through so you'll get big bites of one kind of thing. If it was a bit more evenly dispersed then every bite would be amazing. They offer 10 percent discount to military, first responders etc. We appreciated that the cashier asked us instead of needing to be prompted. The only thing that was a skip for me was the biscuits and gravy. I thought the biscuit was ok, but the gravy had no flavor. If you don't want salt though, it might be good for you.

Small cute looking diner. You are able to order on your phone at the table or at the counter. Food looked good but was not to our liking at all. The sausage has a terrible smell to it that fills the diner. Tasted awful as well. Hubby and I couldn’t finish eating it. We gave it a try but don’t intend to return. Price for the food is reasonable if you end up liking the taste.

OMG, this place is fantastic! Old school diner vibe. I'm pretty sure the chorizo is homemade. The pop tarts are from a local bakery... We didn't try anything other baked goods but I'm sure they are yummy as well. The hash brown throwdown is gluten friendly (hashbrowns serve as a "bun" ). All of the items are substantial and, IMO, very reasonably priced. You can order at the counter or on your phone. In summary, highly recommend!!

WHAT I ORDERED I got the February specials: A Steak & Potato burrito which has tender steak, home fries, sautéed onions, scrambled eggs, cheese and a white peppercorn sauce. A Kimchi & Dumpling Pork Burrito which has a nice blend of ground pork, kimchi, eggs, home fries, and spicy sauce. Both burritos were extremely flavorful and the sauces made the burritos really easy to eat. The concept of putting really neat dishes into a wrapped burrito is something that Sunnyside does regularly. MENU Besides the monthly specials they offer a variety of breakfast sandwiches, burritos & quesadillas, traditional items like biscuits and gravy, sweet sides, and a nice selection of beverages. ESTABLISHMENT Sunnyside is on the smaller side but there is probably seating for 30 people or so. This is a fast-dining establishment, so it’s encouraged to eat their tasty foods and move on with your day. The decor is very modern and inviting. The place has a vibe of a traditional breakfast diner. STAFF The staff is very friendly and reluctant to help you out if you haven’t been here before. You order at the counter which faces the entrance, so once you enter you’ll be greeted by a friendly face. They probably have around 6-8 staff members working. PRICING Depending on what you order it’s generally around $4-12 which is very reasonable for breakfast food. Very cool and relaxing atmosphere. Not intended for groups but a few people could sit down. Really designed for grab and go. Solid coffee offerings, unusual donut choices and chicken tenders. Overall, very good experience. Come early, they close at 2:00.

Amazing donuts, totally worth the money! Super helpful staff, plenty of selection. The donuts were fresh, moist and fluffy. Great maple flavor with plenty of frosting. Really wish we had a place this good in Kansas City

Amazing little spot in the Blackstone/Midtown area. Coffee is great!! I was told it was a special blend made by Archetype Coffee ☕. We had donuts and the chicken sandy...mouth watering!! I love the atmosphere, its trendy and quaint!!

First timer here, and self admitted "a non fan of donuts". However my fiancée and mom wanted to give this place a try, so when in Rome or Omaha. It's a bustling little spot, unique combos of square donuts to choose from. Gluten free and vegan options available, totally awesome there. Variety of coffee drinks, juices and of course some high quality h2o. Staff were friendly, extremely busy, but still you felt very attended to. We chose the Oreo donut, chocolate frosted chocolate cake donut and a blueberry cake donut. Again as someone who is not a fan of donuts, WOWZA. These donuts are mostly square! It's pretty much gourmet donuts. They also have gluten free option. Tasty. No complaints. Service was friendly.

Google has done a great job of finding great places on our spur of the moment trip this weekend! Did a search for best donuts in Omaha and found this gem. The pictures looked great, and the reviews were good...and my husband's name is Bob. So we HAD to try it! Great friendly service, and the donuts did not disappoint! We will definitely be back on our next trip! And we're getting a Bob!

Our family arrived just before closing with only two donut flavors left, and even with such limited choices the little shop nailed it with their "square vanilla", and a "red hot" cake donut. Definitely worth the visit, which was proven by both a morning rush nearly clearing out every donut, and our remaining options being delicious.

The place was very clean inside, and the staff were friendly. They have a huge selection. I don’t eat bread, so I got my little Italy sandwich over a bit of lettuce. Still, it was delicious.

Our favorite stop before we head to the airport. Every sandwich we have tried has been good. . We each all order a different sandwich and then trade around. Never disappointed.

Was craving a sandwich and found this spot. Excellent variety to choose from between hot and cold sandwiches. I gave their dagwood a shot. They bake their own bread. The bread had a nice crust and was soft and chewy on the I side. The ham, turkey, and pastrami were plenty and wasn't overtly salty. Good ratio of meat to veggies to sauce to bread. Well balanced sandwich, really top notch.

I honestly love this place. Food is always fresh and really good, and they have unique sandwich’s that you can’t really find anywhere else. The staff here is great, they all seem like they actually want to be there and hustle to bring great service. I won’t stop coming here haha.

Absolutely love this place? Pizza is generously stacked with cheese, prices are reasonable, atmosphere is nice and staff are friendly. I’ll be eating pizza once a week for the rest of my life!

I got the the I Love NY sandwich with a side of coleslaw. It costs about $20 so being from CA, I had to compare it to Langers. The meat not the same style as Langers, it’s more traditional thin sliced, tender and smoky. It was delicious and worth it.
