Bar
Burleigh Pavilion is a popular beachfront restaurant that has quickly become a favorite among locals and tourists. It offers familiar seafood dishes, wood-fired pizzas, burgers, steak, and pasta in an airy and casual setting. The restaurant boasts epic beachfront water views and an incredible location right on Burleigh Beach. With its open kitchen and two bars, there are plenty of seating options including high tables on The Terrace or stools on the balcony overlooking the beach.
We loved it here! I saw the place and knew we need to go there! Had Dinner in the Restaurant "Tropic", Drinks at the Bar, on the other end of the Pavilion. And Breakfast at the Kiosk (delicious Coffee, Croissants & Açai Bowl). Yes, we are looking forward to our next stay! In the meantime stay safe folk. All the best & hope "Alfred" won't hit you too strong!

Absolutely stunning location. Beautiful views down the beach towards surfers in the distance. Great atmosphere. Feels like you're hovering above the beach. Usual high prices for drinks but reasonable food options and delicious too. We had the woodfired pizza.
Timothy G — Google review
We had such an enjoyable time at Burleigh Pavilion! The share plates were absolutely delicious — it was great to try a bit of everything, and every dish was full of flavour. The mocktails were amazing too — beautifully presented and so refreshing! What really made our visit special was the staff — they were genuinely kind, funny, and engaging, creating such a welcoming vibe. We’re visiting from WA and felt right at home. And of course, you can’t beat the location right on the beach — perfect for a relaxed meal with stunning ocean views. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the Gold Coast!
Bright O — Google review
Food and service is very average but it is all worth it for the view on a nice sunny day. Be ready to go early or wait a long time for parking. Free seating on a first come first serve basis.
Jonathan L — Google review
You can’t beat the view from the terrace as the sun sets. A must do when visiting Burleigh. The oysters are delicious and the happy hour beverage offerings are generous.

so so so so so goooood!! never had a better pizza, base was light but not thin and wasn't totally filling so you could still enjoy other food. SO TASTYYY also recommend getting a cocktail jug to share if with multiple people

While exploring the Gold Coast, I was on the hunt for a café with great views and ended up here – and wow, what a spot! The beach stretches out right in front of you, and the view alone is worth the visit. Even though it was a little chilly on the day, we were treated to the sight of surfers catching waves just beyond the café – a true coastal moment. The vibe is relaxed and open, making it a great place to pause and take in the scenery. The service was pretty standard, nothing over the top, but the staff were polite and things ran smoothly. I didn’t try the food this time, as it wasn’t particularly recommended, but it might be worth exploring on a future visit – you never know. What really stood out was how well-kept the facilities were – the toilets were clean and tidy, which always adds to the comfort of the visit. If you’re after a peaceful beachside stop with postcard-perfect views, this café is a lovely little escape from the bustle. Just come for the view, take a breath, and soak in the Gold Coast atmosphere.

Pub
Surfers Paradise Beergarden has recently undergone a major renovation and now boasts a vibrant atmosphere with a deck that offers stunning views of Cavill Avenue. The venue features nautical accents, picnic tables with umbrellas, and a wraparound deck known as the Birdwatchers Bar, perfect for people-watching. It is renowned for its live music scene and is considered the home of authentic rock in Surfers Paradise.
We spent a lovely long lunch here midweek in February. Located on the first floor is this fabulous Aussie pub, indoors flows to outdoors and the balcony is all undercover. You look out over Cavill Avenue so you are right in the centre of Surfers Paradise! (The balcony has a sectioned off corner as a smoking area) Our lunch was a chicken Caesar wrap and a steak sandwich and both were tasty, filling and good value. Service was received with a smile and they participate in the Pub app! Access is either from street level in Cavill Avenue (gaming machines are on the ground floor) or indoors via the shopping centre directly to the 1st floor.

Nice place right in the surfer paradise. Always busy and lots of people around. It's open until late morning, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I loved the pizza and the pizza platter pack was a good value. Good choice of beer and drinks. They don't have beer towers tho, however they have a good variety of cocktails.
Bibek A — Google review
Come to celebrate with family last night for our VIRGO BIRTHDAY DINNER. Food was great, tasty & everyone loved what they ordered too many to tell you as we had a party of 30 (including 4 young children). Compliments to the chef last night an AMAZING JOB for bringing our food out at timely manner. Atmosphere was lively, watching games live & all main sports on screen catered for everyone. Staff was lovely.
PURPLE F — Google review
Chicken Parmi ($29): It’s served with chips and a salad. This might be the best chicken schnitzel I’ve ever had. The coatings are extremely crunchy and the chicken is fresh and tender. The tomato sauce, cheese, and ham do a lot of tricks to the schnitzels. The chips are also delicious, well seasoned, and not greasy. Besides, non-alcoholic drinks cost from $3 to $5.6, Lemon, Lime & Bitters $5.8, Red Bull $8.3 (smallest size). The entrance to the restaurant is right next to the gate to shopping centre and you can easily come here by the light rail and get off at Cavill Avenue. The security will tell you to show your ID before entering the pub. The bartender is quite nice and he’ll give you a pager to collect your food at the pick up section. There are a lot of TVs playing sports matches and I like the music played and how spacious it is compared to other restaurants. You scan the QR code to see the menu and a lot of dishes and drinks are customisable. Overall, superb food, relaxing vibes, great staff and security, a 9.5 out of 10!

“I had a great time at the Surfers Paradise Beer Garden. The atmosphere is awesome – open, fresh, and perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. There’s always something happening here, from live music to sports on the big screens, and even fun games like giant Jenga and Connect Four which makes it different from your usual pub. The food was fresh, tasty, and good value, and the drink selection had plenty of options. Staff were friendly and welcoming, which really made the experience even better. It’s the kind of place where you can chill out in the afternoon with a drink or kick on into the evening with a bit more energy. Definitely one of the best spots in Surfers for a casual and fun night out

Monday night. Public holiday. Cavill Ave pumping as usual. Debating on where to go for dinner and found this place, which I last frequented on a football trip 20 years ago! Obviously it had had a few updates since then and upon walking in had a great vibe! It was busy but not packed so getting a table for 6 was relatively easy. Great yet simple menu. All the staples were there. There was a mix up with our order and an ordered Parmi was missing which they quickly rectified. It’s a place that oozes partying and late nights however for us on Monday needing a feed, it was great!
Corrie B — Google review
Absolutely worst Caesar salad I’ve ever had made, asked for grilled chicken as an optional $6 extra was given some sort of morrocan chicken and the sauce was like white water. No way that was a Caesar sauce was disgusting and staff couldn’t have given a stuff they all looking at each other. Do not go here if your looking for a quality meal in surfers, husbands calamari also cold and rubbery. Avoid Avoid Avoid !!! Waited for seemed like ages too and the place is empty and now we know why!

Bar
The Island Rooftop is a popular open-air bar in the heart of Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. It offers stunning views of the CBD and Main Beach coastline. The rooftop features live music, DJs, and entertainment, creating a lively atmosphere perfect for beachside holidays. With a retro-styled cocktail bar and seating in romantic nooks, it's an ideal spot to enjoy creative cocktails like Mac Daddy, Mango Unchained, and Ginger Ninja while taking in the breathtaking scenery.
Another great experience & best DJ on a Friday night who really sets the atmosphere. The staff are amazing and go the extra mile.
Pandy D — Google review
The atmosphere was so nice. I ordered a prosciutto pizza, it was fantastic, different from the crispy and mediocre ones other Australian restaurants serve. (I forgot to take a photo because i was too hungry…) And as for the beer, I had Byron Bay Lager, which was so easy to drink for me although Im not a fan of beers. But there was one thing they need to improve, it took about 40 minutes or more to serve the pizzas after placing the order, it really made me starving and irritated.
Nyats N — Google review
We had the bottomless brunch, group of 9 and overall a terrible experience - cold food that had been sat out for too long. Each course was exact same. Karaage Chicken especially terrible. Bad cuts of chicken, parts overdone and others underdone and doughy Poor quality drink choices, watered down and bad ingredients. Long line to order and when using table service, the drinks took longer. Toilets shared with the pool below, wet toilets and strong smell
Rachel R — Google review
I already emailed this after my birthday on 22nd Feb. Hopefully service is much better since. I came in yesterday to celebrate my birthday after hearing great reviews from friends, but unfortunately, my experience wasn’t the best. From the moment we arrived, a blonde staff member in a long black dress was quite rude. At 2:13 PM, she told us we’d be charged $40 per person (3 people) for any no-shows by 2:45 PM, which we understood. But then at 2:30 PM, she came back insisting we pay, even though all but two guests had arrived. Also insisting we pay for the third guest that didn't show, which she incorrectly counted and there were only two guests remaining. Those two weren’t even given wristbands and had to go through their bank transaction history to prove they had paid—really frustrating. On top of that, drinks took forever to come out, and the same staff member kept hovering over us with a really unpleasant expression, which honestly ruined the mood. I had high hopes for my birthday celebration, but after this experience, I’m not sure I’d come back. Just wanted to share my feedback in case this is something you’d want to address. Edit: there were more disappointing things that happened but this was the email sent at the time. Such a shame as it has a really nice atmosphere

Stumbled across this place with empty stomachs and needing something yummy to drink. Was surprised we struck gold here. Simple but yum. I would go back

Such a spectacular night! Great music, atmosphere and cocktails. It was destined to meet John from Sydney, I wish you a safe flight home. And happy birthday to your cousin one more time!
Koroleva K — Google review
Celebrated a friend’s birthday, not enough bar staff , should have sections for each group booking at the bar. We had over 50 people , took forever to get a drink.party organisers needed to clean up the previous groups mess before we could use our reserved area. Not enough staff generally for cleaning and picking up glasses, plates etc. very disappointing, have been here before and not impressed . All about making a buck.extremely under staffed.
Megan M — Google review
Staff were amazing and went above and beyond with service. Food was fantastic and plentiful way more than enough. Drinks we offered on a consistent basis. If you are thinking of doing the rooftop Graze don't hesitate it's well worth the money and the experience. I will definitely be back thankyou 😊

Garden Kitchen & Bar, located at The Star Gold Coast, offers a delightful dining experience with its lush greenery and outdoor area featuring live music and a beer garden bar. The menu boasts creative cocktails and delectable dishes such as smoked lamb cutlets and crispy whole fish with Asian vegetables. This spacious venue also offers seasonal menus at great prices, including an indulgent Australian seafood experience. Families will appreciate the expansive outdoor area for kids to play while enjoying fresh seasonal fare in the sun.
The Indulgent Seafood Platter at Garden Kitchen & Bar offers a comprehensive and delightful seafood experience, making it a perfect choice for special occasions or a luxurious treat. The seafood platter was an absolute showstopper—fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavour. From the plump oysters and juicy prawns to the perfectly cooked scallops and tender calamari, every element was cooked to perfection. The mix of hot and cold seafood offered a lovely variety, and the accompanying sides. Generous portions, stunning presentation, and top-quality produce made it perfect for sharing. If you’re a seafood lover, this platter is an absolute must!

The Garden was amazing. Michael looked after us so well and made the night feel special. The food was incredible with charred meat and veggies that were full of flavour. Everything from the fresh bread to the mains was delicious and beautifully done. Highly recommend both the restaurant and Michael’s service. We have been to a lot of restaurants here in the GC but keep coming back here. Highly recommended and shared with friends and colleagues travelling this way. Thank you again.

Amazing food. One of the best meals we have had on the Gold Coast. The steak was cooked to perfection. Michael was our waiter and his recommendations were spot on. He was so knowledgeable about the menu. We can’t wait to come back again.

I had dinner at Garden Kitchen and Bar two nights in a row and each time was greeted with a warm welcome and excellent service. The eggplant lasagne on my first visit was exceptional, beautifully served with a rocket salad. The second night I had the pan roasted salmon with baby potatoes, followed by an exquisite chocolate mousse with a zesty orange accompaniment - a real treat especially on my birthday! A big shout out to the lovely waiter, Michael, whose exuberance about the menu helped me make my food decisions! A must-visit eatery if you are staying within The Star complex - and worth travelling to even if you’re not!

We definitely enjoyed our Tomahawk, and the service was amazing! Jonas and Michael were so kind, we’re really grateful and happy with the whole experience. We also loved the live jazz performance, it made the atmosphere even more special.

What an experience! The food was amazing. The drinks were incredible. But the SERVICE! Michael was outstanding. He was personable, fun, and really made our night. From the recommendations around food and drinks, his amazing persona! Can’t wait to come back! We had such a memorable experience! THANK YOU! And Michael, you’re the best!

First of all this place had amazing food, best steak i’ve had all week (and i’d been to 3 other places the same week) and the service was absolutely delightful from our waiter Micheal who also offered to take a picture for us. Overall the food was great, the service was pleasant and the atmosphere was very lively and nice. Thank you Garden! 5/5 would definitely come again next time.

We visited for the Monday steak and Shiraz deal and were blown away by the quality of the food. The steak was cooked perfectly and paired beautifully with the wine. Bistro On3 is a modern and spacious restaurant that offers a variety of dining experiences, including breakfast buffet, high tea, and French dishes. It is a popular spot for the local community, catering to families, friends catching up, intimate dates, or casual drinks. The menu features fresh ingredients from local suppliers and offers succulent steaks, healthy salads, fresh seafood, share platters as well as classic pub favorites with an elevated twist.
The food was absolutely delicious, first time trying prawn and they were amazing, Treva was a wonderful waiter with very good manners and if I could rate a single person I would give him 11 stars ⭐️ the cheese plater and the strawberry field was incredible. Perfect valentines dinner date, 100% will come here again 💖

A breakfast buffet in Bistro On3 offers a wide variety of food options at a reasonable price, making it a great value and delicious choice. I have been many times and every time service was excellent, food was fresh and delicious. There are hot and cold meals, freshly baked pastries, gluten free station, barista coffee, nice selection of teas, cheeses and much more. It welcomes Sofitel hotel guests and walk ins, which cost around $45 per person and it is open until 10:30am, but you allow to stay at your table for longer and enjoy finishing your drink or dessert. Staff is friendly and attentive, always making sure you are comfortable and got everything you might need. I can easily recommend this place for a lovely breakfast in a casual atmosphere. I have not been for lunch or dinner yet, so cannot comment on that. Thank you.

Very disappointing experience here. Touted as a luxury experience, we beg to differ. Inattentive staff. Took a long time to be offered a drink or food. Then when food did arrive, it arrived at significantly different times. Entrees where delivered at differnt times.and wife and sister got theirs mains and I got mine over 10-15 minutes later. They had finished their meal when i got mine!! On top of everything .....I don't believe my meal was cooked correctly...see photo. No I won't be back. Over $250 for 4 people.

Exceptional Service by Leonardo Tonight’s dinner was truly special thanks to Leonardo’s outstanding hospitality, service, and food recommendations. He suggested the tomahawk, and it was absolutely incredible and cooked to perfection from the amazing chef — one of the best meals we’ve had! It’s a real loss for Sofitel to see him leave soon, with his visa expiring in two months. Staff like Leonardo are rare — he made a lasting impact, and we wish him all the best in his next chapter. Thank you, Leonardo!

Situated inside the Sofitel on level 3 this restaurant is available for hotel guests & the general public. Small meals, nicely plated, nothing really outstanding for the prices paid though . My order was the fish which came with a large lemon wedge & some greens, nice but not great! Wait staff were mostly good. The restaurant also serves a buffet breakfast.

We loved our dinner here. Our waiter Facundo from Argentina made the experience particularly lovely, he was so personable and attentive. The quality of the food and flavours were excellent, although the servings were on the smaller side. It was also great to utilise our Accor Plus Gold membership which catered for the welcome drinks and provided a good discount. The staff made this process very smooth. Thank you again, Facundo with your interpersonal skills you definitely have a great future ahead in the hospitality industry!
Melanie T — Google review
The oysters are brilliant. The fish is a joke. Tiniest portion. The salad was alright but drenched in dressing. The only unfortunate thing we hate is that Sofitel & the Accor group chain scams innocent people. Google the misfortune news articles I’ve read. Very sad. Therefore we will not be back

"Great Service, Decent Food" We recently dined at this hotel restaurant, and while the food was good – nothing exceptional for a hotel restaurant – the service was what made the experience stand out. Our first server made an error with our order, but Jai, one of the staff members, stepped in and turned things around. Jai's attention to detail and warm, welcoming demeanor really made us feel at home. Thanks to Jai, our dining experience was saved, and we left satisfied. The cabbage side is definitely worth a mention, I would have eaten more veggies if I had that as a kid.

Restaurant
Surfers Pavilion in Surfers Paradise offers a trendy dining experience with its glass-enclosed riverside cafe. The interactive oyster and champagne station is a highlight, offering fresh oysters and a variety of seafood delights. The Oceanside Seafood Platter is a feast for seafood lovers, featuring an assortment of ocean delicacies. With uninterrupted river views and a vibrant ambience, it's the perfect spot for lunch with friends.
Edit: we went back for breakfast and shared what must be arguably the best priced coffee $4 and Bacon and Eggs $13.50 on the coast. Original Post : We were lucky to have Groupon voucher for the cold seafood plater and we're not disappointed Even at full price this was a generous plater with 6 oyster, 3 half Moreton bay bugs, 6 prawns, amazing kingfisher sashimi and a pile of smoked salmon with 5 different sauces. It was right on the canal next to a lovely park. The staff were friendly and I finished the meal with a $5.50 affegato and my husband had an expertly made coffee. The only thing to improve was the lighting - you need a torch to read the menu and the pink light makes the food visually less appetising but the freshness did balance it out. Went here for breakfast a few days ago. The breakfast was quite nice I had the bruschetta my wife had the keto breakfast. The serving size was quite small the bacon cost extra. The service is pretty minimal. You have to order on the QR code and other then when our meals were dropped didn’t have a check in from a staff member at all. Overall fairly expensive and probably not really worth it.

The food portions were massive, and everything was full of flavour. The staff were accommodating — I was able to swap the chips for baby potatoes. The potatoes were delicious and perfectly seasoned. The location is fantastic with a beautiful view of the water while you eat.

A great spot for lunch (or dinner) in a relaxed atmsophere with excellent views of the Nerang River area. We highly recommend the Surf & Turf platter with everything on it being of very high quality. The only criticism is that the grilled prawns were slightly overcooked and dry, but still very tasty. Everything else was sensational. Staff were very friendly and great service.

Decided to have brunch here as it was conveniently located opposite our accommodation. Our table was dirty, we had to ask someone to clean it. The food was presented beautifully but tasted pretty average and what was really disappointing was we ordered iced lattes but were given iced coffees instead, which came with ice cream and whipped cream. The view wasn't overly great either and the floors were sticky from I guess the night before and people spilling their drinks. This would probably be a good spot in the evenings but wouldn't recommend it for breakfast, lunch or brunch.

This poor review is purely for the amenities. The unisex toilet is worse than a public toilet. The upstairs toilets are closed altogether. There are three ladies toilets downstairs. One is out of order. One has no toilet paper. One has kitchen roll and blood on the wall. The bin is overflowing. There is no soap. We have made a couple of complaints yet not one person has run 200 m to Woolworths and purchased a couple of boxes of toilet paper. It’s not even 6 pm at Gold Coast 500. The toilets will be backed up and overflowing with the kitchen paper within the hour. Such a shame as this is a beautiful location and we often come here. We enjoyed the oysters. Tunes are pumping. Staff are great. Afraid to have another drink in case I need to use the bathroom!! The manager kindly offered complementary drinks after addressing the issue.

We went for a reservation at 4pm dinner and then ordered garlic butter shrimp linguine, bread, chicken parmy and lastly oysters (forgot to take picture). We arrive at a date where they had a function on some of the section of the restaurant that starts at 6pm, so it is kinda packed. Food: The food was really good 👍 😋. I love my garlic butter shrimp linguine and chicken parmy was awesome as well. The serving of food was big enough and worth for the money. The drinks we ordered was beer and lychee passionfruit mocktails, it came very quick and taste very refreshing, served in cold and well presented way. The kilpatri (not sure if the spelling was right) osyters was a big hit. Try it! Service: They served the food and drinks pretty quick, we just waited less than 5mins and it came through. It is pretty impressive since the restaurant was full that day. The lady that served us ensured we are comfortable, food is served and ask us if we need anything more. Atmosphere: Clean, well managed, good party music, simple table setup. It is a must try restaurant when you are in Goldcoast. See all photos attached.

As good as it looks. The view is sadly the only good part of our visit. After our first bad experience (after years of great food) we decided to give surfers pavilion one last try and were unfortunately even more disappointed. ‘Fresh’ prawns had freezer burn. The grilled prawn was ok but it said it was cooked with miso but couldn’t taste that at all nor the wasabi mayo. Lobster roll didn’t taste like anything really. Just tasted like frozen shredded something. The dish was also missing the cucumber. We had the battered fish tacos which stated a chipotle salsa but there was no chipotle nor any flavour at all. Whilst being over smothered in sour cream. The mussels were good and we used that sauce to flavour the rest of our meal sadly. They’ve shrunk the serving of the garlic bread but kept the same price which is disappointing. The saddest past for us is they removed so many good items from their menu especially the tempura prawns with the wasabi mayo. Not sure what they’ve changed but the mayo ain’t the same. Sadly our time here is done. We would come a couple of times a month but now will not be returning. Service is also always shocking. No one knows anything, ever. Toilets always gross. This place is going downhill fast.

Gold Coast Tavern is a delightful gem situated along the picturesque banks of the Nerang River, just a short stroll from HOTA. This venue beautifully marries the charm of a classic Australian pub with an upscale bar vibe, making it an ideal destination for unwinding with friends. The tavern boasts generous portions of mouthwatering pub fare, refreshing ice-cold beers on tap, and an impressive array of wines and cocktails to suit every palate.
I went there on a busy Thursday night with my friends visiting from Japan. We ordered chicken schnitzel, fillet steak, prawn pizza, and calamari. The steak was super tender and cooked to perfection, and the calamari was honestly the best I’ve ever had!! The prawn pizza had heaps of prawns and came out fresh and hot—straight from the oven. The female server who looked after us was amazing—her service really made me want to come back again. (I should’ve asked for her name… regret it now!) We sat near the kitchen where we could see everything happening, and a guy named Cedric was working there—he was absolutely fantastic! He had the best smile and was super efficient and careful, making delicious food with great energy. All the staff provided amazing customer service. I’ll definitely be back again. Thank you so so so much!

We were a group of 18 on a Wednesday night. I had booked online but called to confirm, and they didn't even have to look for my booking. They were already aware and prepared for us, which was nice. We had one long table set up for us, in a corner, which worked well. It was very warm when we arrived, but being able to open the doors for breeze fixed that quickly! All food was really good, and we didn't have to wait long at all for the meals to arrive. Staff were friendly and efficient. Cocktails were also on point. Definitely good value for money. Highly recommend. Thank you again.

I went here for lunch today with some friends and it was lovely, great location next to the waterways, ample parking available outside and the carpark opposite. Order was taken by Grace, extremely helpful and friendly customer service, I ordered the chicken karage burger 🍔 and chips 🍟, didn't take too long, was hot and fresh, good sized serving. Lot's of variety of seating, very busy for lunch.

Great & reasonable place to eat, there were good options on the menu, and the cocktails were great! It wasn't too busy while we were there, there was an event on, in an area cordoned off but it didn't affect waiting time for food or anything. We were sat by the water for the evening which was lovely. We didn't have a booking but there was no wait time for a table even though we were a large group.

Fancy paying 31 dollars for a meal and not being able to take it home with you unless its in your stomach. "Not allowed to do takeaway boxes" the dumbest thing ive ever heard. Not like I can get half a refund for a half eaten meal.

The employee named keepa, was extremely rude and accused us of messing up the toliet when we didn’t even go in the supposed toilet that was “mess”. Then proceeded to kick me and my friend out when my friend was completely sober, and I myself have only had 1 glass of wine. I assume he was just trying to make his night fun by kicking someone out, when my friend and I were just trying to enjoy our Friday. I suggest getting better employeees, Gold Coast tavern, I’ve been multiple times and never have I ever received such bad service

Wonderful staff. Very disappointing food. Bland, flavourless, oily food.. Expensive (for what it is) and terrible value for money. Undersized portions and seriously lacking flavour. One member from our group vomited. The staff are kind. In desperate need of better food options and better quality ingredients and meal prep skills. Yeah, nah!!

We went here for Christmas in July, great food and the way they set the tables and how the hotel was decorated was amazing, staff was attentive and really friendly. We were surprised that there was no Christmas music, just left feeling that it was lacking due to that - was so close to being a perfect night. That being said we would definitely recommend it here and we are already booked again and coming back and bringing different people (please play some Christmas music this time 🙏)

New to the area, and regularly attend Darcy's!!! Irish barman (Paddy) pours a lovely Guinness and is grand craic! He remembers our orders every time we come in and has very friendly service. Great atmosphere and fantastic food 🍻

Clean and comfortable, lovely service, but the thing that lets it down is location. Too noisy by the highway and the pub part on Saturday night is loud until midnight as you would expect so be prepared to stay up with the revellers or watch tv till it closes. Otherwise a perfectly good place to stay and the food was on the better side of pub fare.
Diane D — Google review
We went there for dinner and enjoyed the open fire and excellent service. The food was very good but I felt the Irish stew serving was a bit small. A cute venue.

September 2025 We visited a restaurant at D’Arcy Arms on a Wednesday night expecting hearty pub fare, but the food was unfortunately dreadful. It looked better than it smelled and tasted—we tried the pan-roasted salmon and Guinness beef stew, and both were inedible. On the bright side, the ambiance is lovely, and the service was friendly. I'd pop in for a drink in that cozy Irish pub atmosphere, but I'd never eat here again; once was more than enough! Food 2 Atmosphere 4 Service 4

The Cambus Wallace is a trendy boat-themed bar located in the heart of the Gold Coast, paying homage to maritime traditions with its rustic decor and vintage nautical artifacts. Inspired by an ancient shipwreck, it offers a unique experience with refined small plates and a carefully curated selection of spirits, craft beers, and cocktails. This hidden gem is perfect for lovers of rum and whiskey, offering a wide range of rum-based drinks alongside classic cocktails.
Dropped in for a drink on the way passed, the bartender forfilled our random cocktail request with great (off menu) recommendations. Reasonable price for great drinks and service. A hidden non pretentious gem. (We almost cancelled tonight’s plans and stayed as the band had just arrived 🥂).

A relaxing and dimly lit atmosphere serving food as well as drinks. Would be nice with more normal opposed to bar seating as isn't preferable to eat on the high bar tables. Not a fancy vibe but food is fine for a bar. More plant based options would be good especially with the Mains as the eggplant parmiagana didn't look or sound too appealing 😅 the cauliflower was delicious though with the hummus. My partner didn't enjoy his ribs saying it lacked flavour and sauce. My favourite part about this place was the freshly pressed apple juice. This is the one special thing that I would come back for! Refreshing and delicious. I have never had a fresh apple juice with vodka before and it was very enjoyable. Loved it! 🍏 🍏🍏

They’re not a Rum bar! No rums there at all. I got a cocktail made that was amazing. I called it a Georgia Rum after the bar tender. I asked the bar tender to tell me what top shelf Rums you have and she couldn't find any. So I went with the cocktail!
Raj H — Google review
My patience for poor hospitality service is limited, and unfortunately, my experience here did not meet expectations. Upon sitting down (with only one other couple in the bar), it took 5–10 minutes to be greeted with a menu. After receiving it, we waited another 10 minutes without any follow-up service and ultimately decided to leave. I understand this may be an “order at the counter” venue, but with only four patrons and two staff members visibly available, it felt like table service could have been offered. As a customer, it was frustrating to feel ignored while the staff focused on other tasks, such as drying glassware. I find it extremely off-putting when venues make customers ‘order at the bar,’ especially in a space that’s nearly empty. It comes across as lazy and dismissive of guests, and in this case, it made the experience frustrating enough that we left.
Saige O — Google review
What a rip off. Ordered the cocktail that was the secret punch. They didn't even go through to effort to soak the fruit or anything. Just a rocks glass full of ice, cut up apples, lemonade and a shot of miscellaneous alcohol, probably rum? And yes I watched the bartender make it and jigger tells the amount of spirit that went in...$24....never again. Been a loyal guest but this is incredibly dishonest in this economy. Happy to pay for a real cocktail. Not a rum lemonade or something 😕

A genuinely sub standard experience. Arrived at the bar with high hopes of enjoying a burger and a beer. There was even a sign on the bar promoting the same. Unfortunately the girl that served me had a care factor of zero and informed me that food orders could only be made at an adjoining bar some 40 metres away. So off I trudged to the other bar confused - a sports bar that advertises food but doesn’t sell it??At the next bar I requested the beer and burger combo. I was informed I could only order that at the sports bar? What the!!! Anyway I ordered a burger from this second bar and the combo was not available. Then went back to the Sports Bar to order a Guinness. Same waitress grabs a pint glass pulls on the Guinness tap and nothing happens. ‘No Guinness’ she says. I said what do you have on tap? Waitress - I’m not sure. Seriously shoddy service. Expect much better from The Star. Burger was average. Chicken burnt on the edges, dry. Chips tasted old. Not good Star. Not good.

Can't comment on the peak periods as that's what most of the negative reviews seem to be about, but we came at 12 on a Friday and it's a beautiful place to sir and watch the world go by. The staff were lovely, brought us water for the dog and we had a snack and enjoyed our drinks over the water. 5 stars from us and would definitely come again.

I think I may have come here with expectations placed a little too high. This place is just alright. The food is bar grub, nothing remotely interesting on the menu. The fries tasted like paper but the fish was good. Drinks were nice. Service was consistently confused and I wonder if maybe a dress code for staff to cover the buttocks might have been of benefit as we were looking for “a nice place by the water” but I suppose that’s not their vibe.

Experience was subpar. Food was average and the seafood not nearly as fresh as you’d expect for the location. The cocktails were half full and underwhelming for the price. Staff seemed disinterested for the most part. I know they’ve only just opened so may have some teething issues, might try again in a few months.

After much anticipation we went to the pavilion for their grand opening last night with 8 of our friends. First impressions were very impressed with the outside deck. Looks amazing and very inviting. Our table for 10 however was inside squashed up against a window with no room to move. The music was okay but too noisy to hear anyone at the other end of the table. Drinks were expensive but probably normal for a location like that. My wife and I had snacks,(bruschetta and sweet potato fries). Very tasty. The rest of the table however were disappointed with their meals. Quite substandard for the price. The staff were all friendly and attentive and I will definitely give the pavilion another try but out on the deck. Maybe an afternoon happy hour would be a good idea for those on a limited budget. Cheers. Leigh.

Me and my partner made a reservation for a table for two outside at 5.15pm (not very late) anyhow. We arrived and had a first good impression of the new venue. Nice music and beautiful outside area!!! Skyline in the background etc. anyhow… when we arrived in time the front of house staff told us that they don’t have a seat for two people outside ( there was lots of seating available at 5.15pm) available… we said that we booked two seats outside on the upper deck but unfortunately we got seated inside….. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE INSIDE?!? 😂 nothing is renovated… at all… same dirty carpet etc…. Not nice at all… we didn’t survive for 3 minutes unfortunately…. We do enjoy a bottle of wine and some food almost every second day in different venues but unfortunately I think this isn’t one of them….. surfers pavilion, Burleigh pavilion much much better at this stage…..

Went here to catch up with a friend and was delighted with a warm place to sit and a good meal to fill my belly. There were heaters hanging above the tables so it was perfect on a cold winters day. I got the Fungi pasta bowl, my friend got The Whole Farm, cheesy garlic bread to share and we both ordered cocktails. The meal was delicious and my friend was surprised she could comfortably eat her whole meal. The cocktails were delicious (musk stick one and a passion fruit one, I don't remember the names). We went for lunch on a monday, around 1PM and booked the week before. It was quiet and a great place to catch up. Staff were friendly and pleasant, not overbearing. The bar well decorated and clean. If you want to come here. Don’t come here to eat. Just do yourself a favour and drink. I purchased a chicken parmigiana with fries. That was ok, very tasteless no flavour. The sauce that came with it I’m pretty was off. (Aioli) please get that checked. Not to mention I ordered a sauce on the QR code and 10 minutes went past and not a sauce in sight. When I mentioned it they brought me the wrong sauce. I ordered mash potatoes and for some reason it was hard and looked like a cookie. I would simply not return here

You get greeted outside with a warm welcome and guided upstairs to the warm atmosphere. Where the staff take a lot of pride in their appearance. They are dressed to impress. I was offered a great lunch deal of a Parmi and soft drink for under $20. The Parmi looked like it was deep fried then the sauce and cheeses added to be grilled. There was no ham on the Parmi. But it did still taste good. The chips were crunchy and perfectly seasoned. The portion size is great for the price. Do yourself a favour and give this place a go when you’re on holiday in Surfers Paradise or if you’re a local coke anytime. There’s a good variety on the menu. Grab a seat outside or by the. Window and watch the thrill seekers in the sling shot while you enjoy a good meal. Definately recommended

Crispy Salmon ($33.95): Dipping the salmon into the hollandaise sauce is absolutely a great idea and it’s boneless and love the crispy fish skin. The chips are also delicious and crispy. However, I’m allergic to garlics and there are garlic chips and garlics in the sauce on top of the salmon but I still tried my best to avoid them to enjoy the rest of the meal. Virgin Above The Clouds (All Mocktails $14.95): It’s pretty cool that all their cocktails and mocktails are served with a dry ice cup. The blue fairy floss also makes it look exceptional. The drink itself is quite seedy, tarted and delightful. I appreciate most of the dishes having photos on the menu and there are daily specials at very low prices but expensive if you order the same way as me. The restaurant has mostly been with many vacancies every time I pass by and the service staff are all great. Overall, it’s a 9.5 out of 10!

Really enjoyed the wide range of Australian beers. The service was good early. And the staff helpful throughout. But they got busy later, and didn't seem to have enough people on, so I was waiting for a while. The meal I had was disappointing. Bland, unseasoned, soggy meat - a massive let down. It's so easy to make pulled brisket taste good if you want to.

We had a big family group with lots of kids and the team sat us upstairs where the kids could run around and we had it all mostly to ourselves! Food was delicious and came out fast, cold drinks, beautiful building, kitchen handled multiple food allergies really well and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Amazing value for money! Thanks heaps Clock hotel team keep up the great work!

The lady behind the bar who took my order was super sweet and gave me tips about their menu. As it turns out, she should have simply told me to go the McDonalds. The Schnitty was terrible. I don’t know how you can goof a schnitzel so badly, but you’ve done it spectacularly. It was greasy. Bread shouldn’t glisten. The chips were cold and we all know when chips are cold, they’re inedible. Absolutely loved the bells chiming whilst I waited for my “food”. The view was lovely. Such a shame my lunch was inedible. I’m sure on a hot summers day, this place is a vibe, but sadly, I don’t recommend it for a weekday pub feed.

I recently visited the Clock Hotel in Surfers Paradise. While the experience wasn’t perfect, there were definitely some highlights. The best parts were the iconic clock tower, which adds great character and charm to the place, and the outdoor seating area, which is spacious and pleasant—perfect for enjoying a drink or meal on a nice day. That said, the service was disappointing. When we arrived, the staff seemed inattentive and didn’t come over to serve us. We had to go to the bar ourselves to place our order, which felt frustrating and unwelcoming. It seemed like they weren’t very engaged with guests, which took away from the overall experience. The menu was average, with decent but nothing spectacular flavors. Considering the price, I felt the value for money. Portions were okay but the taste didn’t stand out much. The atmosphere is casual and the outdoor seating helps make up for some of the indoor shortcomings. With better service and more attention to guests, this place could be much better. Overall, the Clock Hotel has good bones—great location, unique clock tower, and nice outdoor space—but it needs to improve staff attentiveness and food quality to match. For now, it’s a mixed bag; worth a visit if you want to enjoy the outdoor area, but don’t expect top-notch service or memorable food.

Absolutely loved our experience at the Clock Hotel! The food was amazing and the service was top notch. The staff are friendly, attentive, and quick. A special shout out to the vegetarian lasagne 🙌hands down one of the best I've ever had. Rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great meal and atmosphere.

Looking for a spot in Surfers Paradise where you can grab a bite and soak up some local charm? This place has it all – from a friendly tavern vibe to top-notch service and a menu that'll make our taste buds dance. Their $18 lunch deal – it's seriously hard to resist. Juicy steaks, flavorful chicken parma, and mouthwatering fish and chips are just a few highlights on the menu. Trust me, your wallet and your belly will thank you! Plus, the place is super clean and easy to get to – just a hop, skip, and a jump from Cavill and right along the tram line. So next time you're in Surfers Paradise, make sure to swing by Clock Hotel for a good time and great eats!

This corner pub is a gem TBH. We walked in one night with no expectations and have found everything was awesome. The staff and the service was pleasant, our dishes were decent, tasty and unpretentious. The food came out relatively quick in comparison to other eatery nearby. Everyone in our family enjoyed the food and dining experience here.

Good little pub. Food was ok, one of the girls behind the bar was lovely, the other looked like she may have been, being held against her will. Nice location and table settings

I’ve lived in the Gold Coast my whole life, and go quite often to restaurants/pubs for lunch, dinner.. with my partner, I have never ever come across such poor attitude poor service, poor everything to be honest from a bartender. Not only one of them, but 2 of them, both girls at the bar. I don’t even drink but I felt like a beer with my partner and friends, I didn’t know what I wanted so she was just standing there rolling her eyes. Rushing me. So I ordered one, she literally said “don’t have it” when I asked for the type of beer I wanted.. without giving me any other options, my brother had to help me decide what one to get.. she poured my beer, and made it leak everywhere, and just slammed in on the bench? It was dripping everywhere, even maccas does better 😆😆 I have been a bartender before and if a guest of the venue came up to me and didn’t know which drink to get I would help them select. They were whispering to each other something, and gave me the most foul look.. I actually felt so embarrassed and upset. The group of friends I was with. Noticed how bitchy these 2 girls were, we ended up leaving.. didn’t even get to finish our beers.. waste of money, we were going to have a afternoon lunch, but took our money elsewhere. You 2 girls should honestly be ashamed, if your that unhappy with your job, or don’t know how to communicate with other females, leave, and go work somewhere, where customer service isn’t applicable, boys aren’t the only people at pubs you know that right?😆 To be honest, I have never ever wrote a review! But after the experience I had with the blonde chick, and the brunette, and the way you embarrassed me in front of all my friends, and partner. I think your boss should know :)

Incredible T-bone steak. Up there with the best steaks I’ve ever eaten. Perfectly cooked, perfect crust, medium rare all the way through pair with an unbelievable pepper and marrow sauce. Wow. Fantastic service, very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend

Eating out with children who have severe allergies can be incredibly stressful—with hits and misses. But The Glenelg Public House at Mermaid Beach turned that into a completely carefree experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff and kitchen team made it effortless to ensure it was normalised and handled with care and professionalism. Their attention to allergy protocols was outstanding, and it gave us the rare gift of relaxing and truly enjoying our magnificent meal. The food was exceptional—fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. It’s clear this team takes pride in what they do, and it shows in every interaction. A huge thank you to everyone! You’ve earned our trust and our loyalty—we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

We arrived on time but our table wasn’t ready. This was no issue at all I was happy to wait, they sat us up at the bar and gave us a free drink or 2 while we waited which I thought was a lovely gesture. The area our table was in was a tad too dark and a bit loud with it being so busy but that’s normal for going out on Friday at peak dinner time. Our server was amazing , the service was really great. She even fixed our table so it wasn’t wobbly. As soon as my drink was empty they were there ready to top it back up. I had the bone marrow which was to die for. Absolutely loved that. Also had the Wagau which was cooked to perfection and the red currant jus was delicious. The carrots as a side there was plenty and had a beautiful pistachio sauce. Really enjoyed my time , great service , and great food!

It’s very rare to find truly excellent restaurants on the Gold Coast, but Glenelg is definitely one of them! The service was outstanding — super attentive — and the food was amazing. Honestly, the best meat I’ve ever had. Chef Lorenzo is incredible!!! 10/10

The Glenelg delivered some of the best food I've had in a while. The bone marrow was rich, flavourful and perfectly done as well as the steak and greens. Unfortunately the service didnt quite match the quality of the food. We had to wait around a bit and it wasn't busy when we there, just a general lack of attentiveness. Still the food alone makes it worth the visit.

We went there for an informal business meeting. Ordered the 1kg wagyu T-bone and was impressed at how it was served. It came with two sides and The steak was perfectly cooked to two types of sauces. The steak was perfectly cooked to medium rare. Juicy and very aromatic from the herbs it was grilled with. Will definitely be a spot for dining in future.

My new fav restaurant on the GC. Delicious food, great service and chill ambience. All staff were delightful and so accomodating to my 2 sausage dogs even bringing them chopped prime rib. Steaks and sides were perfection. Staff could not do enough and quickly with a smile. Thanks for a perfect evening.

We had an incredible time here! The food was absolutely amazing – each dish was perfectly prepared and bursting with flavour. James, our server, was outstanding and made the dining experience so enjoyable with his attentive and friendly service. And let's not forget the chef, who truly worked magic in the kitchen. Every bite was a testament to their talent and passion. Highly recommend this place!

Miami Tavern is hands down one of the best spots on the Gold Coast! The atmosphere is relaxed yet lively, with a great mix of locals and visitors. The food is always fresh, delicious, and generous in portion—perfect pub classics done really well. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and go above and beyond to make you feel looked after. Whether you’re here for a casual meal, a few drinks with mates, or to catch some live entertainment, it never disappoints. Always a great vibe and an awesome place to unwind—highly recommend!

Chicken Schnitzel ($26): Choose 1 sauce out of 7 or no sauce and I went for BBQ sauce. Choose 2 (can be the same side) out of 4 sides and I go for mashed potatoes and chips. The well-seasoned and crispy coatings with tender chicken inside dipped into the barbecue sauce taste absolutely delicious. The chips are also palatable but the mashed potatoes are by far one of the greatest. Moreover, there are some non-alcoholic drinks from $3 to $8.3 and I drank Goulburn Valley Apple Juice (there are a total of 4 flavours) ($4.2). If you are staying in Surfers Paradise, you can simply take the light rail to Broadbeach South and transfer for 700 or 777 bus to the nearest bus stop (Gold Coast Hwy at Miami Hotel). Scan the QR code to see the menu to pay online but you can also pay in cash at the counter and show your order on your phone. To top it off, there are vacant tables everywhere during the lunchtime but it seems bustling at night since it’s a tavern. Overall, reasonable prices, fast service, nice, agile and helpful bartender, and superb food, a 9.5 out of 10!

Had dinner here with family. Pre-booking available online which was convenient and easy to use. Arrived and was greeted by staff and showed to our table. Team was great apart from the two staff girls at the bar who were having a full on conversation and could see I was standing there waiting for their attention. Luckily the other staff member who was making drinks noticed I was standing there and attended to me. Food and beverages were great. Nice and spacious inside. Great view from the veranda. Overall, we had a great time.

Great pub! Good choice of food and drink. Decent specials from time to time. Really good spot to watch the UFC also! Only issue I’ve had so far is the ordering system via QR. Have had to go up to the bar several times over different visits to ask if the order had been received after waiting 10 or so minutes for drinks.

The Hope Island Tavern is a spacious and vibrant venue that offers pub food, sports screenings, a cocktail lounge, and outdoor patio seating. Visitors have raved about the incredible dining experience, with perfectly cooked steaks and fresh, delicious meals. The friendly service and pleasant atmosphere have left guests thoroughly impressed. Additionally, the tavern has been commended for hosting successful events like Christmas lunches with excellent service and ample portions of delectable food.
Hope Island Tavern has become one of our favourite go-to spots on the northern end of the Gold Coast. The vibe is super relaxed and it’s got that nice mix of being casual but still really well put together. Whether you're just popping in for a quick lunch, meeting up with friends for drinks or bringing the family along for a chilled-out dinner, this place ticks all the boxes. The food is solid every time. We’ve tried a bunch of things from the menu and everything’s been consistently good. The steaks are juicy and cooked just how you ask, the wood-fired pizzas (even vegan!) have that perfect crispy base and even the simple stuff like garlic bread hits the spot. They’ve got a great selection of meals for kids too and if you’re there on a Sunday, they’ve usually got free kids’ entertainment which is a huge win if you’ve got little ones. One of the best parts is the big outdoor beer garden - it’s perfect for sunny afternoons with a cold drink in hand. There's also a decent playground so the kids can run around while the adults unwind. Service is friendly and laid-back, exactly how it should be in a local spot like this. All up, Hope Island Tavern just feels easy. Good food, great drinks, relaxed atmosphere and genuinely nice staff. Whether you’re local or just cruising through the area, definitely worth stopping in. You’ll probably end up staying longer than planned. [Follow my adventures on instagram crushinglimits]

Lovely Sunday spot. Be sure to check some of the amazing specials on offer. We were spoilt with $2 oysters! A stand-out dish you can’t miss is the spicy tuna tartare in a creative puff taco!
Blue G — Google review
During this stay at Peppers we had Three breakfast buffets and two dinners at Hyde and overall the restaurant surprised me well on the positive side! Breakfast buffet continental section is not big but had all the breakfast basics except for cold meat and cheese. We particularly liked the small Acai section on Tuesday(did not got a picture sorry). The food in the hot cooked to order part was delicious! We particularly loved the Mediterranean Avocado with the delicious nutty cheese and beautifully grilled artisan bread. they were not huge portions but complemented by the cold buffet it was very sufficient… unless piling up the plate with bacon is part of your breakfast buffet must. :) The only big negative was the coffee station… below average breakfast buffet coffee machine quality. The ladies and gents working there were great except for this one girl in black on Friday morning that was rather not nice when we already had to wait fair bit for a table… hence not five star here… The dinner menu is DEVINE! Our favourite were… almost everything! The pea pasta did not sound much but it was so nice with just the perfect spice level and perfect pasta we ordered twice. Thank you Hyde Paradiso!

One of my most favourite places worldwide, and of all time. Being a chef and from Melbourne, Ive been fortunate enough to go to Hyde Paradiso roughly 10 times during 2024. I have had so many amazing experiences here. Vibe is the best, the staff and service is the best, and the food is absolutely fantastic. Endless oysters a d prosecco to match. Make sure when dining that you check out the Gold Coast Sunset!

Good view of the beach. Generally good food. We did a hens lunch here and the service is all over the place. They kept giving us food and drinks that were for a different table even though we ordered using the QR code with a specific table number (this happened 7 times, I counted). We tried most the starters and we liked the baba ganoush the most and the tartare the least. We tried all the main plates (wagyu, chicken, gnocchi and chicken) - we loved the wagyu, the barramundi the least. Drinks we ordered were a hit and miss.

HOTA, Home of the Arts, is a cultural complex that offers a variety of facilities for entertainment and artistic experiences. The Gallery at HOTA is a prominent public regional gallery in Australia, showcasing diverse exhibitions and events throughout the year. It features local, national, and international artworks as well as the renowned City Collection, documenting the character of the Gold Coast and Australian art development. Formerly known as Gold Coast City Gallery, it has become an integral part of the city's arts precinct.
I’ve lived on the Gold Coast for 20 years. Recently caught the ferry from Southport. Did a walk through. Climbed to the lookout. And ended up at the museum. Meandered through and ended up at the exhibition bar for afternoon tea. A great way to spend a few hours.
Faith G — Google review
HOTA Museum is colorful and impressive from the outside, a perfect blend of art and nature. Just walking around the grounds already lifts your spirits. I was really looking forward to visiting, but unfortunately Gallery 2 was closed this time — I hope to see it on my next visit. The poster art exhibition was vibrant and beautifully captured the spirit of its era. And the view from the top floor was absolutely stunning! You can enjoy a panoramic view of the Gold Coast city and ocean — definitely worth a visit.
Ai W — Google review
Wonderful free museum experience and a welcome change of pace from the Gold Coast's beach scene. The gallery's distinctive, colourful architecture makes it a landmark in itself. The gallery spans six levels, showcasing a significant collection of Australian art. However, the best feature might be the view: head straight to the rooftop bar for a panoramic photo of the city, looking out over the Nerang River and Surfers Paradise. The entire HOTA precinct is accessible and great for exploring on foot, with beautiful parklands and a sculpture walk around the lake. It's easy to get here, either by enjoying a scenic walk or conveniently taking the HOPO ferry directly to the grounds.
A W — Google review
HOTA is more than just arts, it is located in landscaped surroundings and has three restaurants. There is a sculpture walk around the lake and a map can be downloaded from the website. There is plenty of parking and the first 4 hours are free. So whether you are into the arts or not there is something for everyone.

It’s a spacious and nice place for families to spend time together. However, I think the exhibition could be improved. Many galleries were closed in preparation for the next exhibition, and overall, I still felt it was quite a small art center.

Amazing view and atmosphere but unfortunately the food and drinks didn’t meet our standards. Food came out relatively quickly but some of the dishes lacked flavour and the cocktails looked unimpressive and served in plastic glasses. They were super strong and not in a good way. Sadly won’t be coming back in a hurry :(

Someone very special. ☺️ I imagine it gets quite busy and an old mate and I were just very fortunate to pick a time that wasn't too busy so we were able to get a place at what I thought was the best spot overlooking the hills to the west. I'd suggest booking ahead if you were planning taking someone. Im looking forward to returning to see a lot more of Brisbane as I've only scratched the surface, but I can tell this is a favourite spot. I love art galleries but this was something else. Plenty of parking as well. All the best. Rob

Located on the 5th floor, offering a fantastic view and nice outdoor seating. While the open-air setup can get a bit hot under the sun, the high-quality food, good service, and overall pleasant vibe make it an enjoyable dining experience. The menu features a solid selection of wines to complement the tasty dishes. The only slight drawback was that the oysters were a bit on the small side. Overall, this restaurant provides a lovely ambiance with its elevated views, quality cuisine, attentive service, and good energy. It's a great spot to enjoy a meal, especially when the weather is pleasant enough to take advantage of the outdoor seating.

Las Palmas is a Latin American restaurant with an excellent view of the Palm Beach skyline. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the service is excellent. The waitstaff are particularly outstanding, and the atmosphere is perfect for winding down after a long day.
Amazing Latin American Experience! ★★★★★ Las Palmas is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a vibrant Latin American vibe. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome right away. The food was the real star of the night—every dish was packed with bold flavors and beautifully presented, the tacos were bursting with unique combinations. The roasted pineapple dessert is so 😋 yummy . Grilled corn, oysters were amazing . Cocktails were another highlight! Overall, an incredible dining experience—highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy delicious Latin American cuisine in a stylish setting! I love the chill music as well . 🎵 Would definitely come back!

Lovely Sunday vibes, with cosy, stylish ambience. Friendly, attentive service. Delicious modern South American share plates. Great value on First Table with 50% off food (not bottomless brunches or specials such as $2 oysters etc). Definitely a bit of a hidden gem upstairs, overlooking Palm Beach and the SLSC.

This place is just amazing! One of those spots that makes you feel life is worth living, hehe. Such a beautiful atmosphere and a brilliant take on Latin food. The steak was spot on, and the chorizo with octopus blew my mind. And don’t even get me started on the coconut margaritas—I couldn’t stop! They also offer local drinks such as Burly gin, which are perfectly matched with the food. The grilled pineapple dessert with passion fruit cream was out of this world, the kind of sweet treat that makes you forget all your problems for a while. As a Latina, I highly recommend it; they’re really on the right track to capturing the flavors of our land. If you want to get a real taste of Latin flavors and treat yourself to pure food happiness, you have to come here.

Missed Opportunities: A Promising Venue Let Down by the Drinks Our first visit to this venue was filled with anticipation. We chose to sit upstairs on the balcony, catching the last rays of afternoon sun and watching the traffic roll by on the highway. The space itself is inviting, with a large indoor dining area and another balcony boasting ocean views, plenty of promise for a relaxed outing. Ordering via QR code was convenient, and the bar looked great, setting high expectations. Unfortunately, the drinks didn’t deliver. The beer arrived flat, and the watermelon margarita was missing its key ingredient, watermelon, leaving it lackluster and disappointing. With so many options along the coast, sometimes a venue only gets one chance to impress. While the atmosphere was welcoming, the drinks missed the mark, making it hard to justify a return visit.

Nestled behind the surf club, Las Palmas offers diners beautiful ocean views and a fresh Latin American menu. While the soft-shell fish tacos were popular and tasty, my favourite part of the meal was the juicy charcoal-grilled steak, which paired perfectly with my zesty cocktail.
Meli R — Google review
A great sunset spot for South American inspired tapas, and the beef empanadas are a standout. The vibe is perfect for this patch of the coast - Sip a coconut margarita or two on any of the balconies and watch the world go by as blue turns into orange in the sky.

The lively sports bar features live streaming of major sporting events on big screens through Sky, ESPN, and Fox—making it an ideal spot for sports enthusiasts.
Amazing venue! We held our work Christmas Party here and our staff are raving about it! Using the upstairs function room we were able to theme the evening without any hesitation. We had our own private space and even restrooms away from the patrons elsewhere onsite..The catered platters were incredibly yummy (try the chicken wings, they were huge! Plus the meat skewers were smothered in sauce - you just don't get that at most other places!!). The team there, especially Andrew were ready to cater to all of our requests without issue from our first enquiry until our function ended. Definitely recommend this venue for the future!

Fantastic value. We’ve stopped in here quite a few times to take advantage of the great $16 lunch special. My son and I ordered the chicken caesar wrap & chips with a free side of sauce (we chose gravy). Very tasty and we both really enjoyed this. My youngest son ordered a kids’ meal which included Napoli pasta, 2 pieces of garlic bread, a side of chips, glass of soft drink and an ice cream - excellent value at only $12. Staff are always friendly and down-to-earth here. We’ll keep returning, especially for the lunch specials.

Truly one of the best hospitality experiences I’ve had. Thank you, Marcos — you made our visit unforgettable! Highly recommend!

COZY LOCATION We had lunch at the Tavern on a wet and rainy day. The Tavern is situated in a convenient and cozy location. The design layout of the complex wasn't ever thought through. The meal area is not separated from the main bar or racing area. Potential for a very noisy meal when its busy. Having said that, we found the staff friendly and accommodating. The drinks and food were enjoyable. They have $13 Monday to Thursday lunches. I had the rissoles, mash and peas. The meal was enjoyable but left me feeling like a needed more. 3 rissoles would have been perfect because the two I had were average in size. The rissoles I had were made of very highly processed mince. Nothing like home made ones. Accessibility for wheelchairs and walkers is easy.

After over 20 odd years of going to this Tavern , LAST night was the worst . Bar staff called Marcus was easily the Slackest person I've ever seen in hospitality . The back bar and poker machine area was Filthy . The smokers lounge looked like a bomb went off Disgusting . He sat on his phone and did the minimum . Rolled his eyes and was disgruntled when he had to served people . Other Staff members were all good .doing their jobs. I will be writing to the Group that owns this place and also writing to the Management . Some people should Not be in hospitality and Marcus is one of those .

Went for lunch. Order chicken Cotolettta and Moroccan chicken. Got a chicken parma instead of the Cotletta, told them and no apology, just took the dish away. No offer of an apology a free soft drink, nothing. Disappointing. However, the Moroccan chicken was delicious, beautifully cooked, moist and tender. The Cotoletta was also beautiful and chips. Chips that cane with it were only lukewarm warm. $70 for two meals and two soft drinks, worth the price

I had a great meal here. The wait time was a little wait longer but once the food came it was worth it. Big portions for what you pay and my eggs benedict tasted amazing, the eggs were properly done with 2 pieces of sourdough toast and loads of bacon! I also had some grilled halloumi on the side which was grilled just right. Coffee was also great, would recommend for some tasty brunch.

Pretty average place and food as well as service. The only good thing is their location and that they have quite the area and seating space. The food tasted pretty average and they took so much time in first giving us a table and then brining the food. Definitely not worth the price. The coffee was pretty average too. Not a good experience.

Yummy 🤤 yummy 🤤. We ordered the Baltic Avo smash - looked amazing - tasted amazing. Very earthy with lots of flavour and texture - clean eating. The potato rosti - very delicious- the hand pressed potato- I really enjoyed - always love a good bit of halloumi. The colours and presentation of the food was amazing. The coffee was really good and Tropicana juice was delicious. Excellent place to dine if you are vegetarian and like a nice healthy meal. The service was great. Dine with views of Surfers.

Friendly staff and nice tasting coffee. The atmosphere is nice with the beach across the road. Noise levels are good for talking. the major downside is the seagulls and pigeons, which come onto the tables to take food. Perhaps the owners could invest in bird deterrent devices for their patrons. Food was also cooked nicely, presented well, and tasted good, although I only tried the scrambled eggs with sour dough and tomatoes. Overall, this is probably one of the best choices around the surfers paradise area, if they take care of their bird problem.

Apres Surf is a popular spot in Mermaid Beach that offers a full menu until late on Thursdays through Saturdays. It's known for its genuine service and has gained a loyal following since its opening in 2016. The bar provides a classic Aussie pub experience with a focus on hospitality. Visitors can enjoy delicious meals such as cheeseburgers, fish burgers, and Parmas along with cocktails at reasonable prices.
The $6 cheeseburgers are an unbeatable deal. Even with the addition of some truffle fries to share it was still a super affordable meal. The vibe is fun too and music was great on the day I visited.

Came here on a Tuesday night for their $1 dumplings special. We ordered their loaded truffle fries, their pork and veggie dumplings and the crispy southern fried chicken. While the fries were amazing, the rest were pretty average. The atmosphere was also super loud and the service was rather slow. Might pop by if I was in the area, but wouldn’t make a special effort to come here again.

Beautiful drinks and beautiful service. Didn’t try the food today but I’m sure it will be amazing if it’s anything like the drinks. The staff are very friendly and very welcoming. I will definitely be back

I was really looking forward to trying your drinks, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. We ordered three drinks—one that was meant to feature a smoke bubble, one with a meringue topping, and another with a coconut garnish. None of them arrived with the above described. Considering the venue was practically empty, I expected better attention to detail and service. Instead, the waitress was dismissive and unhelpful when I raised the issue. She reluctantly refunded just one of the drinks, and threw it in the sink infront of me in disgust when I asked for my money back. I hope this feedback encourages a review of both the product delivery and the way customer concerns are handled.

Really disapointing. We decided to visit this bar because of their cocktail list. However, the cocktails we wanted were not available even though they were on the list. When I ordered a lychee cocktail, the waiter plonked it on the table and the lychee fell off. He went to get a new one and then proceeded to push it on the side of the glass with HIS FINGERS! He then said I will make a fresh one. Both of our cocktails were lolly water. This is one of those cocktail bars that only use small amounts of spirit in their drinks. The staff were not very friendly and when I went in to order my drink, the staff were standing at the bar preparing bar snacks from plastic containers in front of customers.

I paid $23.90 for a Caesar salad without any protein — just some lettuce, a very small amount of bacon, less than 3g of Parmesan cheese, and one poorly prepared poached egg (and I hadn’t even asked for a boiled egg). If I wanted to add protein, it would have cost an extra $7.90, making the total $31.40. Honestly, paying $23.90 for what was basically just lettuce with almost no cheese and very little bacon was really disappointing. Definitely not worth the price.

Lunch on a Sunday, a walk on the beach and a lunch at the Broadbeach Tavern. Four of us in total. Nice general feel, open layout and although there was a slight smell of cleaning product that is way better than pub smell of cigarettes, spilled grog and despair. The layout is good with plenty of room and it was light and airy. We ordered ; a corn and zucchini fritter burger with large fries; very nice. Was not sure it would work but the sauce brought it all together and I was impressed. Chips were hot and fresh. The pumpkin salad; the salad bit was okay although the tinned beetroot was tasteless and the pumpkin was boiled and flavourless. Probably the worst salad ever eaten. Thai beef salad; Overall it was quite nice but the steak was over cooked, dry and tough The Caesar salad; went down a treat. Nice touch with the oozing boiled egg left on top to cut into as you started. Nice. And too much salt used in preparation. We were all gagging for water after eating. Helped with the beautiful beer. So nice to have a decent pint on the menu. Personally, I think pub menus should be approached with the attitude of what can be mucked up the least. Steak is always going to be an issue as it needs to be cooked perfectly and lets face it it is expensive. So if the meal is not expensive then the steak will be rubbish. Table staff were efficient but not effusive. A great spot and so close to the beach.

There are both entrances to the tavern inside and outside of the mall. Menu is in the QR code and you order the foods at The Kitchen and drinks at the bar. Fish & Chips ($28): I appreciate how big the portion size of the battered fish is served with a reasonable amount of tartar sauce. It tastes absolutely amazing with extra crispy coating and fresh fish dipped with delectable tartare sauce. I’m also glad that the chips are chunky ones instead of the regular French fries because they have superior texture and better taste in my opinion. In addition, for non-alcoholic drinkers/drivers, soft drinks, Goulburn Valley juices, Lemon Limes & Bitters cost $4.2, $4.4, and $4.8, respectively. It’s on the east end of The Oasis Shopping Centre and quite near the tram station. If you want to eat while seeing ocean views with beach, the surf club inside the parking lots might be a better option. The ocean isn’t near enough to be seen and mostly blocked by trees. However, on the other hand, there are a big huge screen and a bunch of TVs playing sports and it can be beneficial for sports lovers. To top it off, top 3 tavern in the Gold Coast, one of the best fish & chips since I was little, great cashier and bartender, reasonable prices, and nice location, 10 out of 10!

I used to come for rib eye with blue cheese sauce, veggies and mash in the past as I fell in love with this meal. Then something changed with the menu and the blue cheese sauce disappeared - I was the saddest girl in the Gold Coast 😭😅. Recently I had a look at the menu and I noticed the sauce is back - and last night I had the pleasure of ordering my feel-good meal again. I ordered through the app, it was nice and easy. The long waiting times were noted there (no surprise, the place was packed), the food arrived earlier though - yay! I was not disappointed - everything was just as I remembered it, cooked perfectly, with a perfect sized portion. The highlight of the evening was the waitress asking if everything is okay with my meal - they don't do it everywhere :) (everything was SO GOOD hehehe) Second highlight - the music! The playlist was so good, I was vibing and I'm in my mid 30s but there was a couple of teenage girls at a different table with their family and they were also loving it 😁 I am not a master photographer but I attached a photo of my meal with wine for reference 😜

Flew in from Adelaide starving with a group of 7. A few of us got the Tomahawk steak, the steak and toppings were great. But, the salad and coleslaw were horrendous. The shredded carrot and beetroot on the top was so dry it was turning white and snapping in half. The coleslaw was definitely off, smelt like feet and tasted like play dough.

We had a fantastic time at Dog And Parrot last Friday. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a great mix of locals and visitors. Pretty average experience. Their service is really letting them down. Environment can be nice but no greater than a genre of "Australian Bar". You can tell what is ordered often as it tastes good, like the sweet potato chips, parmigiana, and ribs. Other items have mileage that may vary. Their presentation does let them down though here. Tastes better than it looks.

Dog & Parrot Tavern is a local favourite pub with plenty of space and multiple dining areas, including a playground and pokies section, which makes it great for different occasions. The service is quite minimal—staff aren’t rude, but interaction is limited. The pub food, however, makes up for it. You can’t go wrong with the chicken schnitzel: crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, served with good chips and salad. I also really enjoy the salt and pepper squid from the entrée menu. Pricing is decent and overall, it’s a solid recommendation if you’re after a good pub meal in the area.

What made the event even more enjoyable was the exceptional service provided by Olivia, the manager. She made the entire planning process effortless and ensured that everything ran smoothly on the day. Her attention to detail and professionalism truly made a difference. Tried Dog and Parrot recently and was disappointed. Meals are around $30, but the quality didn’t match the price. The fish tasted like it was from frozen, the mash seemed like packet mix, and the veggies were bland and grainy. Unfortunately, I even felt unwell afterwards, likely from the fish. Not somewhere I’d go back for a meal. The service was fast and the staff were very nice, this review reflects solely on the food.

I went in on a Wednesday and saw a sign in the Bathroom that offered $30 steak topper. Turns out the sign had not been changed. So they tell me it was Parmy night, however the menu only has the names of the meals with zero info of what is actually on the parmy. Raised that point with the staff. The poor underpaid and overworked inexperienced bar staff member had no idea either just said “it used to be in the menu” James the manager cared less than everyone involved. So we left and went to the Surf Club searching for a bit more customer care :) be better or be gone. Good luck moving forward! I am not angry just can not for the life of me understand why not one staff members including James the Manager might have made this a better experience. All he did was toddle off to the bathroom to remove the sign. Big day.

Food is pretty good. But my focus is on the staff. Mason moreso. Whenever i’ve come in, he’s always managed to make it an enjoyable, personal and real familiar experience at the hotel. Great customer service!!!

Came here for dinner with some friends and, unfortunately, we had a really disappointing experience. We were the only table in the restaurant when we arrived, yet our meals took around 45 minutes to an hour to come out. When they finally did, both burgers were raw in the middle and bright pink inside, and the chips were cold. It seemed like the patties had only been seared briefly on each side. Customer service was also lacking throughout the visit. As someone who manages a restaurant myself, I completely understand that things can get busy or go wrong sometimes, but when the venue isn’t busy, an hour’s wait for undercooked food and poor service is unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend dining here based on this experience.

My wife and I decided to come to his hotel on a Saturday night on the Easter weekend. We walked in with an appointment and sat on a table of two at the window. I ordered the chicken. Palmer my wife had battered fish and chips. I asked for a salad with no onion and my chicken schnitzel was absolutely fantastic. It was a full 300 g fillet. It was juicy and tasty. The chips were crispy and generous serve. So was a salad. My wife’s beer battered fish and chips was also excellent . I must compliment chef Stephen who I introduced myself to. We did not have a very long wait as the restaurant was not that busy but I must say that the quality of the food served to us tonight was excellent and I’ve been to many pubs and restaurants in Australia and write pubs Palma as one of the best. Thank you to the team at the Cavill hotel.

The food was amazing. I didn't click much pictures but the menu was great and the price was very reasonable for the portion we received. The atmosphere was so lovely. Slow music and the staff were very friendly and easy to talk to. The bathroom was really clean!! And smelled really nice (great mirror for taking pics). There are stuff like pool and the bar available as well. Overall a great restaurant and we also didn't make any reservation so that was a plus!!

Went here for dinner. The schnitzel and Parmi our group order couldn’t be faulted, both were delicious and flavour full. The Nachos I ordered had a lot of nacho chips but the other components of the nachos were in my opinion a very small serve and the chicken was very dry and the cheese seemed overkill. We also got a carbonara which was ok but didn’t have enough sauce, was kind of dry and the supreme pizza was average tasting. Would definitely come back for a schnitzel or steak next time as they were 10/10 per the other dinner members.

always go there for lunch special with colleague as close to workplace... was good, parmi is good size and taste is ok, but others are not...recently becomes very salty for meals. ordered a lunch special pasta around $17, the portion is a female palm size, no joke, a male can finish it within 3 bites...when check with staff if it is way to small, she was confident "oh, that is our lunch special size". Also, do not waste moeny to try lasagna

Myself and my boyfriend had a great meal here, really good value for money and tasty food. I had the steak which I was apprehensive to order as I never have much luck with steaks (always cooked wrong or super chewy) but this was probably one of the best steaks I’ve ever had!!! Sooo tender and flavourful, and loved the garlic cream. It was our first time eating out together after 3 months living in Australia so we were really pleased. We’ll be back!!!

We had a party of 65 have dinner at the venue Wednesday night. We travelled from Victoria with families for an aerobic competition. We were able to make this booking before we left. Manager and staff were amazing nothing was too difficult. We had the whole back section to ourselves, tables were moved to cater for our families and kids were free to move around the area. Food service was quick, meals were tasty and we all had a great night. Thanks again 😊

Mr PP's Rooftop and Laneway is a charming restaurant that serves classic Italian dishes, such as pizza and pasta. The rooftop bar offers stunning city views and a pleasant breeze, making it a popular spot for sipping cocktails. Named after Philip Palmer Agnew, the first post and telegraph manager of Southport, this venue combines cheese, cocktails, and creativity.
Had an awesome time at Mr P.P.'s Rooftop and Laneway! The atmosphere is super chill, with a great rooftop vibe and nice city views. The pizzas were delicious fresh, crispy, and full of flavor. The cocktails were spot on too! The staff were really friendly and made sure we had a great experience. Whether you're catching up with friends or just looking for a cool spot to hang out, this place is definitely worth checking out. Will be back for sure!

I did not expect much when I first went, but it turned out to be a place I would love to visit again. The small view is amazing, and it is conveniently located near the tram station. There are plenty of table options to choose from, with a wide variety of seating arrangements. It seems like a great spot whether you’re visiting with a big group or just a few people. We sat at the rooftop bar, and it was such a refreshing and uplifting experience. Even though we went there feeling full, the food and cocktails were so delicious that we finished everything! It is definitely a place I would love to visit again.

💋I was fortunate enough to win tickets to the monthly comedy show hosted at this venue. An experience that I greatly appreciated, because it was so good. What I hadn’t initially realized was that guests also have the opportunity to purchase lunch during their visit, which I was so excited about because FOOD. I was thankful I decided to skip breakfast, as the food served was absolutely exceptional, truly divine. The staff at the venue were outstanding, especially Evva, providing attentive and friendly service that enhanced the overall experience. The culinary offerings were equally impressive, exceeding my expectations with their quality and presentation. My favourite dish was the arancini balls, believe me, it was next level. The comedy performance itself was fantastic, entertaining and engaging, making the entire event a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. We mustn't neglect to mention the rooftop, it truly elevated the entire afternoon. Furthermore, it was an exquisitely sun drenched day, neither too warm nor too cool, merely perfection itself. Prior to attending, I was unfamiliar with Mr Pps Rooftop & Laneway, but winning tickets to this show has proven to be a valuable opportunity. I will definitely be returning in the future to enjoy both the entertainment and the exceptional cuisine once again. Thank you for a memorable experience.💋

Nice spot for a romantic dinner. The service was great. We shared the buffalo pizza it was well balanced not too spicy but flavorful and cheesy. The pasta was really nice the one with pork and peas I cannot remember the name. The atmosphere is beautiful but if it’s busy it can be quite noisy. If you’re looking.

Visited the rooftop on a more quiet weekday night and it has a really nice penalty vibe with good views. The one waitress on duty was really lovely and attentive. The food was okay - the pizza was fine as was the pasta but the broccolini is awful. It is boiled not roasted or charred which brings out all its bitterness and it was hard to finish.

We had great dining experience at Kirra Beach House! We tried several dishes and each one was impressive. The Stonewood pizza had a perfectly crispy base with generous toppings and that wonderful wood-fired flavour. My ceviche order was a standout - super fresh and zesty, beautifully presented. The vodka pasta was rich and creamy with just the right amount of kick - definitely one to try. The food is good. The drink is very good. However, the reason of 1 star is that it’s often closed. We try to go due to the Google time or called in advance (but no direct calls and no answer from the other number). We used to ask one of the staff about the service time and we try to come again on the day they said it was open…but it was closed again. We have been trying and disappointed most of the time. We tried 100 times and it was open only for 2 times that we went. I think this is already the end and no more chance to disappoint ourselves again.

Pretty disappointed. They choose when they decide to open on a Sunday. Came for drinks at 5pm before a booked anniversary dinner at Yamagen and they were shut. Google said they are open until 10pm. We asked and Reception said ‘sometimes they open, depends on the outside area’. Not ideal as it’s a great bar to visit before dining on some epic food at Yamagen

Guys the nachos were made to order, that was so gooood, and tasty. Right out of the fryer. The staff were also extremely friendly, unfortunately we order the QT Nachos and they had guacamole without mentioning that in the menu. My wife can’t eat avocado and they kindly change for us. Drinks were also so so good. Nice spot within QT hotel
Sebastian B — Google review
Food was underwhelming. We ordered the pork riblets, expecting smaller versions of pork ribs ie. meat cooked on the bone. But it turned out to be processed meat shaped into fake "ribs", the kind you get in a Macca's McRib burger. Misleading at best - this should be labelled honestly on the menu as meatloaf or meat patty instead of calling it riblets. Sirloin steak was cooked medium rare as requested but it was bland and chewy. Highlight of the night was the sweet potato fries. The venue is half restaurant, half bar with plenty of seating options. Service was good. The bartender who took our order was friendly and food came out quickly. It's a shame the food didn't match the service.
Orange_tree_au — Google review
We stayed at QT for a few nights and everything was great everywhere else. However, checking out the taco Tuesday night here was pretty disappointing. The food was alright, tasty but a bit cold and long wait times. The drinks were nice but the wait times again were long. The service wasn’t great - the staff seemed unsure how to take orders, charging wrong amounts as per the menus, giving us the wrong food, not taking drink orders to the table despite giving us a table number, no plates or cutlery available and food served in cardboard boxes. The manager tried really hard to accomodate but unfortunately just very disorganised overall.

Of all nights to visit… I picked election night! The TVs were covered in football, like an oasis from real life. Design and ambience is what you’d expect from a swanky bar/restaurant attached to an equally swanky hotel. I ordered my pedestrian beer, served with a smile from wonderful staff… and a $32 roast. It had the potential to be amazing. The meat was slow cooked well, mash was creamy, but all luke warm compared to the mushroom on top that was hotter than the surface of the sun. Also, perplexingly, they had a medallion of pre packaged cultured butter (great choice!) but the bread option was a rubbish mass produced white roll, that didn’t seem fresh at all. The base idea for the dish; great! The execution: needs some work, particularly at the price point. Overall the experience was fine, and wasn’t bad, but I feel the space doesn’t know what is truely is in its soul. Also not a fan of the fake pot plants everywhere.

1 star for the gentlemen who served my mate a fishbowl (worth $40) last night with only 2 shots in it. When he was approached by us, he explained it only contains 2 shots… mate have you not been trained? They contain 4! What a rip off!! I will give 1 star for the lady behind the bar who informed us when we asked if it was 2 or 4 for clarification that it was meant to be four and apologised deeply, even though it wasn’t her fault! She then continued to give us a round of drinks which was sweet and kind. I don’t know whether the first guy was new or not but please remember to make your drinks correctly when we are paying for them. Maybe you thought we’d be drunk and wouldn’t notice to rip people off but we weren’t and very much saw what you did.

Lucy really helped with my order. I wasn't which flavour to get, but she told me all different types. My little sister came the next week and got the wrong flavours though. Shame she didn't have the same help. Sucks to suck

My first visit to Bine could not have gone worse. Order my drink, asked for a vodka cranberry, comes out a yellow colour so I questioned the female bartender with shorter hair, asking again if it was cranberry juice and she confirmed. Walked back to my table and tasted it, was apple juice. Secondly ordered fries for the table, they came out super stale, asked the same bartender for a fresh batch of chips and she proceeded to taste one from my bowl with no gloves on and said that’s how they serve their chips here and refused to replace the bowl. Extremely disappointed with this service and knowledge of staff. Will not be back.

Bine Bar is our local.... Soooo we may be biased.. However they have the best Happy Hour daily 3 to 6pm $6 Beers which let's be honest is a rare deal down this end of the coast. The staff are friendly, and if your lucky they have some live music on. We love it here and with so many places to choose from on the coast we definitely recommend it and they always have cheap bites to eat on their special boards.

The absolute worst meal I have ever eaten on the Gold Coast and worst from Deliveroo. Menu Item is 'Pot Pie' with Creamy Mash and Buttered Vegetables. Pot was plastic throw away container and everything was cold. 'Creamy Mash' was a dried glob of potatoes. 'Buttered Vegetables' probably straight from fridge to plastic container, topped with uncooked and dry pastry. 'Buttered carrots had green ends attached. Never, ever again. Bine Bar should stick to alcohol and chicken wings or hire qualified chefs who care about what and how they cook.

Certainly. Let me share my thoughts on this establishment. When we made the decision to visit, I did not have any preconceived notions. I must say, this place truly excels in the art of crafting cocktails. In particular, the Twisted Gin Fizz stands out as an exceptional creation. Its creamy and velvety texture, perfectly balanced flavors, and the delightful infusion of berry notes complemented by Burly Gin make it an absolute delight to savor. Simply stunning indeed.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed Aviary before this as it is my go to place to dine here on the Goldy. It has everything! Open Wednesday to Sunday, with both indoor and outdoor spaces sitting atop the Mantra Southport, a relaxed yet lively atmosphere, a beautiful outlook - sunsets from here are sensational - friendly and professional staff, and the food…wow….absolutely amazing. In all the years coming here I have never had anything I didn’t like. Pizzas are the best on the coast IMO, starters are varied, flavours and presentation on all dishes perfect, with menu changes from time to time. And as you would expect, a comprehensive beverage list. Overall excellent value for the experience. Important to note: 18 years and over venue, and, every Wednesday from 3pm to 8.30pm (dine in only) food is half price…yay…incredible value! Parking is free and shared with the adjacent Southport Sharks (owner of the Mantra). Aviary is my No 1 casual dining recommendation on the GC and I can’t wait to return!

We held our engagement party here and rented the whole Aviary Bar for the evening. It was a great night! Leading up to the event, the events coordinator Shannon was attentive, helpful and fast with responses which made the planning process easy. A week before the event we met with the bar manager who helped design the night to make sure it flowed nicely and he also helped make some of our dream ideas come to life - like a cocktail tower and also personalised cocktails! When it came to the night, the staff were all so helpful and patient with our 100 guests and their onslaught of cocktail orders! They were quick and very attentive. The food was great, which it always is so that was no surprise! Anyway, we were blown away and so were all our guests. We love it here.

Perched atop the Mantra at Sharks hotel, the Aviary Rooftop Bar offers an exquisite dining experience with sweeping views of the Gold Coast skyline and Hinterland. The contemporary, coastal design with a playful edge creates a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere, perfect for any occasion. Despite the quiet night, the vibrant ambiance was maintained with the help of friendly staff and attentive service. The housemade Italian meatballs in tomato sugo with Grana Padano were a standout, showcasing traditional Italian craftsmanship. The meatballs were incredibly succulent and soft, encased in a rich tomato sugo and topped with Grana Padano. As an Italian, I found the flavours authentic and reminiscent of homemade Italian cooking, capturing the essence of a classic dish perfectly. The salt and pepper calamari with lemon myrtle, tagarashi pepper, pickled ginger, and kewpie lime was beautifully balanced, with the calamari being fresh and tender. The seasoning of lemon myrtle and tagarashi pepper added a unique twist, while the pickled ginger and kewpie lime provided a refreshing contrast, making each bite a delightful experience. The pizza selections were extraordinary. The Smoke on the Water featured house red sauce, smoked burrata, prosciutto, rocket, balsamic reduction, and merlot salt, creating a symphony of flavours. The smoked burrata added a rich, creamy texture that paired wonderfully with the savoury prosciutto and the slight bitterness of rocket, all tied together by the sweet and tangy balsamic reduction. The Red Hot Chili Peppers pizza was a highlight with house red sauce, pepperoni, truffle salami, pork and fennel sausage, mozzarella, and Fresno chili. Each ingredient brought its own flair, from the spicy Fresno chili to the aromatic truffle salami and the hearty pork and fennel sausage, creating a harmonious blend of bold flavours. The Bloody Valentine pizza combined house red sauce, prosciutto, Frenzo chili, radicchio, celeriac remoulade, and pecorino. The radicchio and celeriac remoulade added a refreshing crunch, complementing the rich and salty prosciutto and pecorino perfectly. Although Stefano, the Italian pizza chef, did not serve us directly, his presence was felt through the exceptional quality of the pizzas. Stefano’s artistry and skill in pizza making were evident, and the abstract yet authentic nature of these pizzas was unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Each pizza was a unique creation that still managed to capture the essence of traditional Italian flavours. Throughout the evening, the manager frequently checked on us, ensuring we were comfortable and satisfied, enhancing the overall experience. The personal attention and genuine care from the staff made the night even more enjoyable. Aviary Rooftop Bar delivers a phenomenal dining experience with its blend of authentic Italian flavours, exceptional service, and breathtaking views. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet night or a lively gathering, this rooftop bar is a must-visit for its culinary delights and inviting atmosphere

The Aviary is a great little spot for some dinner and drinks. The Aperol was terrible (needs work) but the beers are lovely and served in an ice cold glass. The pizza options however, are absolutely awful. Far too many toppings with some even having 4 types of meat. The actual pizza dough and sugo are really tasty. Less but higher quality ingredients on the pizzas would make them significantly better.

Night club
Sin City Nightclub is a nightclub located in Orchid Avenue of Surfers Paradise and it's known for its impeccable sound, lighting, and video systems. This club offers private booths and bottle service as well as nightly DJs, so you can party all night long without leaving the country.
Best nightclub I have ever been to waitresses are so fun and never stop dancing, all the bartenders are always laughing and keen to have a good time while still making drinks at an amazing pace. The hosts and manages are so kind and will do everything to make sure all your needs are met, the receptionist is lovely. The glassies and security are respectful and not rude like some other clubs. The bottle service is a such great price and the booths are so comfortable and not crowded if I could give 10 stars I would. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This nightclub is expensive and horrible. Music isn’t impressive and the girls collecting the cover fees is just horrible. No form of greetings, that’s alright. Cover fee is $20, what? And using your card is another $1. As well for your orders, if you’re using card, there is additional fees. $20 does not give you any free drinks (for guys I guess cause the girls in front of me was given 2 free drinks). Would never recommend.

Fairly busy for a Tuesday night, and the atmosphere was upbeat and enjoyable. The music showed flashes of being good, but the DJ keept slowing it down just as he managed to get some good thumping beats going. On the downside, there were two fights... once between guys and then later on two women. Classy clientele! The bar staff were ok, except that apparently when you're on the Ladies Night drinks special you need to bring your empty glass back. Nobody told us this, but on our 3rd round of drinks they refused to honour the deal and wanted full price. This wasn't made clear to us, and we're not teenagers trying to scam drinks, but there was no tolerance so we left early rather than be treated rudely.

Was disappointed, I’m from nsw, the staff immediately knew we weren’t from the area, felt very judged. We got there at 11pm was dead. Wouldn’t recommend as a place to party for the night but if you have some mula to spend and need pres, sure. The bathroom was pretty cool though.

I came here for my 18th birthday last year in december. Let’s just say it was the worst experience i have ever had, i’ve never been to a nightclub before and this was the first one i wanted to go to in the gold coast since i come from a small town that doesn’t have many. I first walked up to the security guard and he let my partner in first, he looked at my id looked me up and down shook his head and took my id and slid it in his back pocket. i was there crying and confused asking for my id back and he refused to give it back, my partner had to ask him for it back because i was hysterical. i’m autistic and an extremely vulnerable person. i wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone as i felt like i was judged the second i walked up to the security guard. AVOID THIS PLACE!!
Paige M — Google review
Was offered half price drinks for 36 entry, only got $4 off of drink, tiny club, okay service but I had to show my card every time or I wouldn't get the discount. Which is fine but warn me before charging full price considering they already knew my order. The bouncers were rude and attempted to not let my friend back in even though he had a stamp and just went out for a smoke. I had to get management to sort it. All in all, I know I won't go back but for the night it was fun if you're drunk enough. They probably deal will horrible drunks every weekend but don't label every customer difficult because of that.
Rochelle F — Google review
Lady at reception was rude. Mentioned my membership to get free entry and she gave me attitude. I went again the following week and was once again given attitude by a different lady giving stamps. Her communication skills were weak. She didn't speak to me and instead just assumed I could read her mind. Although the bar girls were nice, they really need to work on who they serve. I was waiting at the front of the bar for 10 minutes while the bar girl continued serving people who came after me.

Waitresses now compared to the old venue look so manly. They are nice and mostly okay at their job when they aren't distracted. Wouldn't recommend getting a booth till they hire better looking staff and definitely not worth the title of the coasts best club anymore.

15 of us boys hired booth with VIP service for our friends bucks party on 26/08/2023. All of us literally said that this was hands down one of our best clubbing experiences we have had (and we are bunch of 30 year olds). Everything was perfect with the music, security, management, bartender, and the patrons. Will not forget this!

The security was really racist. Did not feel safe at all as a person of colour. Especially after buying a ticket to enter and that being wasted. Anyone of colour please don’t go here.

front paydesk man was so rude to me. i booked $40+ for 2 people for a VIP club pass ONLINE and he said he didn’t know ANYTHING about it. thankfully, there was the information poster about the VIP club pass in front of me and i called him out about the privileges. he didn’t even want to give me the wristbands until i asked him for it! PIECE OF ADVICE: if you bought the club pass, PLS INSIST on wristbands! • house spirits are $12 (not a complaint, just a comment for people who have not experienced this club)

A group of about 120 people went to Lost Kingdom last night to celebrate end of season, and the crew there, especially Lachy, really looked after us and made sure we had a great night. They genuinely tried to make the experience enjoyable, and it was very! The music was unreal, and no complaints were ever made. Huge recommendation by me!

Nestled in the vibrant Mermaid Beach area, JUJU Mermaid Beach is a stunning rooftop venue that redefines fine dining on the Gold Coast. This split-level gem features a chic restaurant downstairs and an inviting open-air bar above, all wrapped in a contemporary European vibe. The menu showcases seasonal dishes crafted from top-notch ingredients, ensuring every bite is memorable. On my recent visit to JUJU on a lively Friday night, I was greeted by an upbeat atmosphere enhanced by a DJ spinning tunes.
Juju is Sensational!! My two daughters and I sat in a booth and had a wonderful evening sharing the most exquisite fresh food. Ling looked after us and made sure our drinks were replenished and our meals were all delivered promptly, explaining each crafted dish as they arrived. We had 9 dishes in total and all were divine ! We had a delightful evening, the venue has a lovely ambience and we are already planning our next visit. Highly recommend to all. Thank you chefs and staff at Juju xx

A Culinary Dream from Start to Finish From the moment I stepped into this restaurant, I knew it would be a great evening ahead. The aesthetic alone is enough to take your breath away: It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger just a little longer. And the food… oh, the food. Let me begin with what might seem simple but was nothing short of transcendent: the bread and butter. Words fail me. The bread was warm, crusty on the outside, impossibly soft on the inside—clearly baked in-house with care and intention. The butter? Silky, rich, perfectly salted and slightly spicy. Both the chicken and the wide range of cocktails were both fabulous too. The mashed potatoes were a revelation. Creamy, buttery and impossibly smooth. I could have eaten an entire bowl and still wanted more. Service was impeccable from start to finish. In short: this restaurant doesn't just serve food; it crafts memories. Whether you’re here for a romantic evening, a celebration, or simply to treat yourself, it delivers an experience that feels both intimate and extraordinary.

Juju, A Hidden Gem in Nobby’s Beach Nestled in the heart of Nobby’s Beach, Juju proves that appearances can be deceiving. While the exterior may not stand out, stepping inside reveals a sophisticated and welcoming ambiance with a modern, classy vibe. Seated comfortably in a booth, we were greeted by a sweet but timid waitress, whose gentle demeanor added to the charm of the afternoon. We started with a specially crafted mocktail from the bartender and a Pistachio Sour, a signature cocktail from the vast drinks menu. Both were beautifully balanced and refreshing. For entrées, we indulged in the truffle arancini and scallops with corn purée, both bursting with exquisite flavors that left us in awe. The main course was just as impressive, featuring the Wednesday special beef tenderloin cooked to a perfect medium rare and served with truffle mash, black garlic purée, and madeira jus. The meat melted in the mouth like butter and paired surprisingly well with the vegan eggplant dish, which combined deep-fried and charred eggplant with almond cream and seaweed bouillon. The interplay of bold and earthy flavors made this dish a standout. Dessert was a must, and we opted for the Bezier Curve, a rich and decadent masterpiece featuring chocolate mousse, whipped chocolate ganache, and chocolate sable. Every bite was pure indulgence and the perfect way to conclude an impeccable lunch. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully crafted, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. Whether you lean toward indulgent cuts of beef or prefer plant-based creations, Juju delivers an outstanding culinary experience. Highly recommend, and without question, we’ll be returning.

Have just had lunch here with my husband, and OMG! The food was unreal. The flavours some of the best I’ve tasted in a long time. The chicken on the set menu was literally bursting with flavour and one if the best I’ve ever tasted! Hats off to the chef/s Service wonderful, explaining every meal to us (we had the set menu) attentive, friendly and professional We can’t wait to come back with some friends, what a little gem of a restaurant! Absolute quality food.

Coming from a foodie — this place is a must. The food is absolutely incredible. The oysters are to die for, the beef tartare is by far the best I’ve ever had, and the Korean fried chicken is weirdly addictive. If your partner is paying the bill, then splash out and go ahead and the tomahawk steak, it’s worth every dollar! The cocktails are just as impressive, especially the spicy margs. The service has been great every single time, and the vibe is spot on. Perfect for a laid-back lunch or dinner downstairs, then head upstairs later for more cocktails and great music. Can’t recommend it enough.

We ordered: 1. King Fish sashimi 2. Scallops 3. Chicken 4. Beef cheek 5. Eggplant 6. Moreton Bay bugs squid ink fettucine Service was pretty good. It took a little while to be seated... There was no one at the front entrance where it said please wait to be seated. The waitress was very friendly and positive! Ordering was fast and the food came out quickly... It wasn't very busy, about 8 to 9 tables in the bottom section. The presentation of each dish was very good. Well done to the chefs (apparently there was an Asian chef as well as a Western chef). 1. The king fish sashimi was very fresh - the presentation was spectacular! the frozen grapefruit was a nice addition, however a bit too cold for our liking. The taste was OK... Nothing too over powering. 2. We highly recommend the scallops with the corn puree... It was delicious! Definitely would order that again. 3. The chicken was cooked to perfection... The sauce worked... And it was the best dish of our mains. Tender, juicy, nice textures and good flavours, well balanced. It was the highlight of the mains. 4. The beef cheek was cooked well... It was moist and tender.... It was a little strong and overpowering for our liking. Certainly filling. Perhaps a steak may have been better. 5. The eggplant had a nice tempura crunch on the top however they poured in the liquid... So we couldn't enjoy all of the tempura. The eggplant was a little bitter. It didn't really work with the chicken and beef dishes, nor with the squid ink pasta. 6. The pasta was Al dente, creamy and worked well with the mussels. Surprisingly however the Moreton Bay bugs were overpowering in flavour due to the char on it. I don't recall ever having this issue before anywhere else. Dishes 3,4, 5 and 6 didn't work to well together. The dishes in themselves were OK... But they didn't work together. I hindsight we would order the chicken and perhaps a wagyu steak the next time. Perhaps what we should have ordered the $100 per person set menu. Overall, an above average experience... I think our selection let us down.

Our experience was spectacular. We sat at a booth on the side of the restaurant. The atmosphere and lighting ideal for a romantic dinner. We started with a pistachio sour and a spicy angel. Not your typical whiskey sour but both drinks were delicious. Dinner was oysters, arancini, chicken, squid ink pasta with wonderful charred moreton bay bugs plus other seafood like mussels in the pasta. OMG!! And we tried Kipfler potatoes as a side. I'd describe this as between yams and sweet potatoes. The squid ink was outstanding and the succulent chicken not far behind. This is a venue that we will definitely return to

Wow, this is my favourite Burger and Drink place on the Gold Coast now!! We've been dinning here a few times recently and I even did classy Latin Dancing here on Saturdays before Covid🕺💃 This place has been awsome, so chill and relaxing. The staff Andres who works at the bar makes THE BEST 🍸 Pina Colada🧉 So Creamy 😊woowoo🫠 Andres is really friendly and catered as well. The Crispy Chicken burger is the only only on the Gold Coast that use Chicken Thighs 🐔 plus the seasoned house Batter on the chicken is light and crunchy 😋 it comes with Avocado and Spicy Mayo!!!!! The burger tasted SOOOOO GOOD♡♡♡ THANK YOU.

So unfortunate to be leaving this review. When placing our order we were told that they had run out of cutlery but should have some by the time our food was ready. And it took 50 minutes for mine to come out, one would certainly think so. 3 of the 5 meals came to the table at the 30 minute mark but no cutlery. We asked a waiter to get some for us. He disappeared into the kitchen but didn’t come back. In the meantime, the pasta dish went cold. We then asked again a second time at which point we got the cutlery but had to have the pasta reheated. Not sure why we bothered because there was that much chili oil in it that it was inedible and went to waste. This is someone who loves spice so it was really bad. Fish and chips were apparently the only saving grace. Fish taco was okay but $23 for one taco seems a bit steep. 20 minutes later mine and my son’s meal arrived. Mine was ok. No steak knife given so I had to try and cut it with a butter knife. Very small serve of runny gravy. My son’s burger was ordinary. Only just warm so cheese didn’t melt even a little bit and was like rubber. Coffees arrived and one was cold. I could understand the wait times if it was busy but there was barely a soul in sight. You’d think it would be nice and quiet considering but music was soooo loud we had to raise our voices to speak to each other! Very sad to say we will not be back.

Our little group of three wandered in to this lovely lounge style café/bar (sophisticated pub really) the night before the GC marathon. There were some cozy corners, open dining areas and an outdoor bar area with gas heating on a coolish evening. A giant TV in the lounge area for those wanting to watch current footy games or sporting events. It was not a busy night and our experience was very positive. Very pleasant, welcoming staff and we were invited to sit anywhere we pleased. Order and pay at the bar. The pizza bianca was possibly the best I have ever eaten. The seafood linguini was good (very garlicky so be aware!) and apparently the fish burrito was ‘okay’. I would go back just for the pizza and plan to before heading home. I believe the burgers are excellent! 4.5 ⭐️ Update - went back again for the yummy pizza and some sweet potato chips before leaving the GC - we were not disappointed! 🍕 🍟👍

My family and I decided to check out the social house for a quiet dinner. Unfortunately we were very disappointed after waiting 50 minutes for our food to come out cold and no apologies besides that’s the standard wait time whilst there is not a single person in sight. A simple apologies would have gone a long way after we stated that it would have be good to know the wait time as we have a 2 year old not getting dinner till 9pm. All that would have been needed was a bit of communication that it was going to be x amount of time and we would have organised something different. Very disappointing and awful cold food to top it off.

Last Night on Earth is one of those bars that just hits the right vibe. I’ve been a few times now, and it’s always got this chilled, intimate energy without feeling flat. Went recently to catch a mate’s gig and the sound setup was surprisingly solid for the size of the venue. Great drinks, friendly staff, and a crowd that’s actually there for the music — not just background noise. It feels like a place that genuinely supports local talent while still being a cool hangout. Definitely recommend if you’re into live music and good atmosphere.

There is always a buzz in the air at this place, never a dull moment and guaranteed you will always meet some interesting folk, in a good way. The drinks on tap are always top notch, they get the good batches from the top breweries and have great cocktails to match. There is also a great mix of LIVE music and special events, either trivia nights, comedy nights and just events because they can. Highly recommended your next catch up with mates, Friday night drinks or just a spontaneous night out, you to go Last Night on Earth. Meet you at the bar.

As I spent two months travelling through the darkest depths of Asia, I needed cleansing Ale but not just any cleansing Ale, an Australian ale not one that has been purchased by overseas interest, one that has owned and made in Australia, you know Australia’s supporting Australia, local support supporting locals kinda beer.! So i walked up to the bar “one jug of young Henry please” I was approached bar a gruff gentlemen said “ how can I help you mate” and then a smile cracked quite aesthetically pleasing and charismatic, Pete I believe was his name, “$15 dollars for the jug mate ” he said, to my shock what am i still in Asia? Why is so cheap? $15 for a jug??? Is there something going on this is Australia overpriced and over taxed how can this be!! Throughout the evening, I started to get this really homely Cheers vibe, you know where everyone knows your name. Then the band comes on “Locky and the lobster men” well stuff me who would’ve thought a bunch of Zgen kids could rock that shit out all the sweet stuff from the 70’s 80’s 90’s and 2000.. So I got a gut full of Aussie beer listening to awesome live tunes!! Well what do you do next off to the bathroom.!! So I’m walking to the bathroom it was nothing but pure art, graffiti installations quotes it was fricking awesome literally intrigued most of the way all the way down to the pisser then literally pissed myself laughing at the graffiti on the walls. So it’s getting towards the end of the night it’s time for a nightcap what is on the cocktail list? Cheeky Charlie to name a few, so that’s it im done time to leave i thought, oh one more beer won’t kill me, I woke up in Carey park naked and afraid well I may of if Pete didn’t say mate, it’s time i walked you to your uber, like this place has a concierge as well incredible just incredible what a place what a night.!! It’s 5 tarnished (I just don’t think that like shiny ones) stars from me.!!

The accommodating staff dressed impeccably contribute to the stunning ambiance of Lars Bar & Grill.
We live in the area and only just tried Lars. It was significantly better than we expected with excellent service and a very welcoming vibe. The starters were delicious, especially the tuna which was absolutely divine 🤤 I had the crumbed fish and mu husband had the pork special, which we both enjoyed. The only wish was for better deserts, there was nothing that great otherwise we would have had something for sure.

Great room great crowd. I can suggest the crème brûlée. It doesn’t quite crack but it has a beautiful vanilla bean taste and a yummy toffee coating. I was quite surprised by how yummy the tuna dish was had a lovely sauce. The food was nice. For me the crowd and the room made it. Bar
The Malibu Racquet Club in Burleigh Heads has undergone a stunning transformation, leaving no trace of its former identity as a tattoo parlor. The bar boasts a chic and modern interior with neutral and emerald green tones that create an inviting atmosphere. The menu features elevated bites such as warm Mount Zero olives, sea salt crisps with caviar and dill creme fraiche, and a delectable smoked burrata.
We had an incredible experience at this cocktail bar! Antonio is an absolute star—his service and energy made our night unforgettable. The oysters were hands down the best we’ve ever had, so fresh and flavorful. And the cocktails? Perfection! Each one was crafted with such care and tasted amazing. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming. Highly recommend this place for a fantastic night out

Pretty cool vibe & menu. Coconut marg & passenger princess is everything I dreamed of a cocktail! Definitely will come back for a late night cap or at sunset. The staff were really awesome, friendly & respected everyone. Didn’t realise it wasn’t a standalone venue, I kinda wish it was as it’s a bit random it’s in one of those strip shops. But I also obviously didn’t pay enough attention to Google maps did I. Still beautifully designed!

I came here with a friend for a couple of drinks and just had the best time. The manger welcomed us with a warm smile and the whole night was amazing. We had a chilli margarita and chilli cherry margarita as well as some shots, which were all super tasty and even though the bartender was really busy, you could tell he was a true professional. The atmosphere of the place was beautiful, and I truly felt at home. The staff know how to make your night feel special even in the busier times. 10/10 recommend!

Sitting at the bar and watching the bar staff whip up some tasty cocktails for us was a great way to spend a couple of hours. Beautiful venue, fantastic hospitality. Loved the Tai Breaker cocktail.

Review – April 11, 2025 (Friday) (For context: I’m allergic to powdered coffee that you mix with water. I’ve never had a problem with feeling sick when I order real coffee—I drink at least three coffees every day from a proper coffee machine.) My friend and I were pumped to try this buzzing spot, but our experience turned into a major letdown. We ordered espresso martinis, and almost immediately, I started feeling sick. The drink was way too sweet and just off—not like the espresso martinis I’ve enjoyed before. I suspect it was made with that powdered coffee mix, which is what sets off my allergies. I spoke to the manager—a Mediterranean guy—explaining my allergy. Instead of showing concern, he insisted they use a pressed coffee machine and then brushed me off by saying, “If you’re allergic, you shouldn’t have ordered it,” before walking away without offering any help or alternative. To top it off, my friend couldn’t finish her drink either because it was overly sweet, and we were still hit with full price. Overall, the careless attitude and subpar drink quality have completely ruined the vibe for me. I won’t be coming back to a place that disregards customer safety and satisfaction.

Overall a nice place and good drinks. However, the $50 antipasto plate was great until the bill came at the end, without asking, they have added an additional $50 worth of items that were not requested or even asked if we would like them. And to be fair, without these additional items it would have been an expensive bowl of olives and 4 slices of prosciutto.

My new favourite bar! The cocktails were all 10/10, our favourite was definitely sloe dance and the chilli and coconut margarita. The service was wonderful, all the staff were so attentive and just so happy. The venue is also beautiful! Love the mirror in the back.

Superb hospitality!!! Everyone from hostess to bartenders to staff. All are really welcoming and friendly. The wine selection is excellent and the cocktails are fantastic. Really fun atmosphere with AWESOME music. The only thing i would change is adding some butt cushions to the bar seats, they’re a bit uncomfortable after a while. Otherwise, I’ll be returning regularly! 🫶 💓 🙏

Moustache is a cozy cafe known for its fantastic coffee and relaxed atmosphere, making it a must-visit for caffeine enthusiasts. The place offers a perfect setting to catch up with friends or enjoy a quiet moment with your favorite brew. Visitors have praised the incredible service and recommended trying the gnocchi and housemade focaccia. It's also a great spot for cocktails, small plates, and people-watching on the Nobby strip.
A great wine bar with an impressive list. I had a significant issue with my order, but it was resolved immediately with genuine care and effort. Credit to the male manager — his sharp oversight and empathy keeps the place running like clockwork. The brunette lady who served me was endearing, kind, and beautifully presented. Thanks guys

Good coffee, bad cocktails (simple classic made incorrectly), quite dirty menu, dirty table, some food items unavailable, inexperienced staff, super cramped. For our time there, it’s very difficult to rate higher than this. Work a second shot but some first impressions are lasting.

Small little alfresco cafe that does fantastic coffee with a small selection of food. Turns into a tapas bar/ wine bar at night. It's small but a great place to sit and watch the world go by. We love the coffee so much, we buy the beans 😄

Wednesday pasta night was a treat! Such a good range of wine, gnocchi, oyster and the focaccia was delicious.
Josh K — Google review
To be fair I came here with my daughter on the “Wednesday pasta night” the setting arrangement is where it got me. Super cramped and it’s not that comfortable and low key dinning with a battery operated lamp and have 3 items on a menu wasn’t the vibe. But being food background and being hungry we stayed, ordered the pasta and it was ok we ordered two plates and ate 1/2 of only 1 and ordered the focaccia bread it was alright it’s super loud so if your expecting super cute dinner probably choose something else. I was seated at the back which is totally fine however we ended up with hair in our pasta because the lady behind me had the most beautiful long hair but she kept flicking it in our food 🥲 again super nice for girls night or cute date. The cocktail was amazing tho

Great little wine bar. Need to try the pasta night soon. Love the glass of chips, very fun.

Their coffee is definitely a must try! Probably my fave among the cafes I've tried in the GC. The focaccia was also really good!

Staff could not have been less helpful. Old guy was watching the cricket and dismissed us when we asked for a type of he (staff at a bottle shop) had never heard of. We ended up finding it on the shelf for ourselves. There’s so many bottleos on the Gold Coast why would we ever come back.

For a BWS it's not too bad. Staff are friendly. Unfortunately 2 staff members who were very kind to me (Jared and Lachlan) are no longer working at the store. Such a shame as I used to go out of my way to make sure I shopped at this store. Oh well I am sure the store and the staff have the reasons. They also have yummy alcohol... But you can get it from any liquor store. Be nice to see them get some speciality vodkas. Also that crusty old Dave that works there keeps me coming back. He's extremely cute and always gives me a smile that lights up my day.
