Skyline offered views that easily justified one visit, with a wide panorama across Riga that looked especially sharp at night when the city lights were out. Beyond the view, the experience was much less impressive. The bar felt dated in its layout and atmosphere, with very little energy in the room. On the evening I visited, it was quiet to the point of feeling empty, which took away the buzz you expect from a rooftop venue. Drinks were competent. Service was polite & nice. The bar gave the impression of having had better days in the past but now being a space that people go to once for the view rather than as a place to spend the evening. It was fine for the outlook, though the experience itself was flat.

Great bar to have a drink and a bite while you look at the Riga landscape (or sunset if you catch it). The bar is fancy but not extremely. Prices are reasonable given the kinda exclusive view you are offered and the quality of the food/cocktails. Even the elevator has a great view. Cheers.

I just came for a drink. The place is located within the Raddison hotel, just take the lift to the 26th floor. You can choose where to sit and a waitress comes to take your order. Variety of cocktails which were nice. Yes it’s pricier than other places but you’re paying premium for the lovely views and cute ambiance. I recommend to sit on the left hand side when you enter the bar for better views at night.

A modern, stylish and welcoming space, with fast service, cleanliness and prices, but especially with a stunning panoramic view of Riga, this place has almost everything one could wish for. Skyline Bar is worth a visit.

Great rooftop bar with amazing city views and a relaxed vibe. Big thanks to our waiter Alex for the very family-friendly and attentive service. Highly recommended for a sunset drink in Riga! And if you have children being crazy for football order the cocktail “Hand of God”… :)

Free to access with incredible view all around. I only had a beer, which was 8 euros. The tables with the best views were all taken, but as soon as one freed up, the lovely staff made sure I got one and could enjoy it. They were very nice and helped make it extra special.

Visited in Sep 2025 Folkklubs Ala Pagrabs was recommended to us as the most popular bar amongst locals. Therefore decided to pay a visit after dinner. Conveniently located in the old town of Riga, this watering hole is a truly happening place. We tried a few Latvian beers which were quite good. Didn’t try any food as we visited the place after dinner, but there is a proper food menu for those wanting to visit this place for food & drinks. You should surely try the local Latvian beers available on tap here. I would definitely recommend visiting this local watering hole if you want to experience a local bar scene and want to try some proper Latvian beers.

We had such a great time that we went back twice. It was full both times so we ended up at the bar but we had a great time there. They do have great garlic bread but the meal servings are so large that it might be a mistake to order it too. All the food we had was really good, and we tried a huge variety of drinks: the lager tasting flight, hot Riga black balsam in red currant juice (the way to do it), the local moonshine (infused liquor), the burning beer (very good for sipping!), a local cider, and an anise-flavored liquor that was very sweet. Our bartender, Laura, gave a ton of context and suggestions and we were lucky to run into her both times. There was also live music and the atmosphere was great. Great place to eat and hang out for a while. Prepare to be flexible if you don’t make a reservation. It got pretty noisy on Saturday night but not to a bad level.

This place was recommended by our local tour guide. We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant. I ordered the grilled pork ribs in beer marinate and it was hands down one of the best dish I’ve ever had. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender and melted in my mouth. Also our waitress recommended the traditional battered chicken fillet folk club style, which was creamy and juicy inside. We loved their ginger beer (ingwer beer). It was refreshing and a perfect pairing either way our meals. The waitress was incredibly attentive, friendly and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Highly recommend!

Ribs were 10/10, best ribs I’ve ever tried Vibe and service was great. From Wednesday till Sunday they have live music and Latvian shows. Definitely a good place to try. Better to reserve as it gets very busy.

Amazing place. A must visit when you come to Riga. We were lucky - that evening there was a live band concert - the performers are unreal, exciting and do not let you be sad. Great place, easy to find, right in the old town. I recommend booking a table during an event - a place to sit is guaranteed. The waiters are nice and helpful, fast. The menu has a large selection - both food and drinks. We tasted everything and shared dishes. The portions are large in my opinion. The food is very, very tasty.

This is a must go place when visiting Riga..!!! Had visited the place for dinner around 7:30 pm and oh boy the place had a fantastic vibe…!!! The staff here is extremely helpful they arranged a table even though the place was full…!! The best part is there was a live band playing songs…!!! Probably the best cocktail bar we found in Riga. The whole place feels like an alchemy lab, with bartenders who clearly master the craft of mixology. Their concept is to introduce Nordic flavors, using fresh ingredients sourced from local farmers — and it really shows in every drink. The team was super friendly too; we ended up chatting with them about both the menu and things to do in Riga. A must-visit if you’re into cocktails and unique experiences.

Visited in Sep 2025 Gimlet Nordic Cocktail Bar usually appears as a top cocktail bar in Riga in online searches, and hence I decided to give it a visit during my trip to Riga. The bar uses a lot of local Baltic ingredients in their concoctions and prides itself on making the best use of such ingredients in their drinks/cocktails. I tried quite a few drinks including a couple of their Gimlets (since that’s their sort of specialty). The Sorrel Gimlet was my favourite. I also tried a couple of their cocktails and liked the Solstice Sour, which is also a sorrel based cocktail. Service was really good and the bar staff were constantly taking care of the customers. The bartender/mixologist was also kind to share some complementary small drinks which form a part of their other cocktails. I did not have a reservation and was easily able to find a seat with a walk-in. Overall, I liked this bar and would definitely recommend visiting it if you’re in Riga looking for a chill & cool place to hang out and have some cocktails.

Cocktails are unbelievable and so goood!!! The service is excellent and very friendly. The server answered our question well and everything was smooth sailing. The interior is thoughtful and cozy.

Great place and great people. First impression already very positive when being directly served with water after taking a seat! Service continued to be excellent, perfect recommendations and explanations about the really special drinks (and thanks for sharing the local sorrel soup recipe!) And fantastic drinks!

It’s a cute place, but not really my kind of spot—we ended up here by suggestion. The cocktails are creative, but definitely not everyone’s cup of tea. It’s worth visiting once for the experience, but if you’re more into classic cocktails, this place will likely be a big miss for you.

Lovely bar in Riga, especially for Gin-lover. I love the concept of local crafts and ingredients sourced also how friendly the staffs are. I took the sour drink as I’m not a fan of gin (always found that it is too bitter) but it turned out to be easy drinks and I love it. Totally recommend for someone who likes decent cocktails.

This is an absolute vibe! The DJ spinning vinyls sets a warm, authentic tone. The cocktails are fresh, flavorful, and beautifully mixed. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, dance, and enjoy great music with great drinks.

I was so excited to see a Cuban restaurant and decided to have lunch there. Service was pleasant. Mai Tai did not look or taste like a Mai Tai - it tasted like American Hawaiian Punch and did not seem to have much alcohol in it. The Cuban pulled pork sandwich tasted fine, but was not a true Cuban sandwich.

Best cocktails in town, and beyond. Fastest, loveliest waitress in milky way. If you find your cocktail too sweet, she'll get you lemon juice. It's so easy. This place rocks. And most importantly: Try the Papa Doble. You'll want another one. Promised.

So delighted with the Cuba Cafe, the staff is very welcoming and friendly. Even heard they have salsa dancing evenings with the Dj and honestly can’t wait to see it with my own eyes 😄 or even try to dance, haha. What a good bar it used to be. It has gone downhill terribly, especially in terms of service, the bartender is extremely rude. After reading the comments, I realized that this wasn't the first time. We entered in a good mood, and while reading the menu, we greeted the bartender Vladislav . When we were ready and approached him with our order, he simply interrupted us with a condescending face: "Let's start with a hello...". I was stunned; the guy simply didn't hear us greet him and now he's lecturing us. Of course, I've heard that bartenders often think of themselves as the bosses, but I've never personally encountered such rudeness. The cocktails, by the way, are mediocre, and for some reason, they don't give a straw with the Aperol. It's inconvenient to drink. All my discontent instantly vanished when I saw the same bartender staggering out to smoke. This doesn't justify the bad service, but at least it explains his behavior. Draw your own conclusions.

Amazing cocktail bar slightly hidden on a second floor similar to a speakeasy. We sat at the bar and loved the atmosphere and decoration. The « tease me, kiss me… » cocktail was amazing and very fun to order to the barman as well ;) We had a great time!

This bar popped up as one of recommendations in the city. We visited this place on a Tuesday evening and it was pretty much empty. We were too early and were the only ones there. They have a good variety of cocktails that they keep updating on a weekly/monthly basis. The decor is top notch. And the drinks match up to the expectations as well. For one of the drinks, you get a claw machine where you have to manoeuver the crane to pick up a ball which will tell you which cocktail you have picked. And for another drink, try your luck? You get a scratch card where if you get three of the same, you get a free drink. The service was really nice, the wait staff are really friendly.

A large of us stopped by here Overall it was a pretty good place, but there were a few quirky things about it that made it kind of strange. First thing was the inability to pay for drinks individually. What? When it came to paying, you had to pay for several people at once. This means that if the waiter took drink orders for 8 people, when the drinks came, one person had to pay for the round - very strange. Also, after looking at the receipt, I believe there was an automatic 10% added to the bill each time. The only bathroom is on the first floor - two people only. Could be a pretty big line if really busy. I will say that I really enjoyed the menu as they had inventive names and tasted great. I also enjoyed the table of shots I ordered for the group - great price and neat way to deliver them. I would really suggest correcting the way to pay for the drinks, as it was very off-putting to most - causing confusion on who paid for what.

Cynic Bar in Riga. Where do I start. Easily the best bar in Riga and quite possibly in Europe. This cocktail bar has a menu based on TV and film and the mixologists get really creative. We were fortunate enough to visit on a Wednesday (a quieter night) and Tom our server was so attentive and offered his expertise as we worked our way through the menu 🍹 I've just visited a bar in Athens voted by Time Out magazine as the No.4 bar in the world. They clearly haven't been to Cynic Bar...

One word- AMAZING! Tom was the best! The whole staff is gifted! This place has the best craft cocktails in Europe!!

A cozy, well-hidden bar in Riga, though it would’ve been even cooler if the entrance door was kept closed to give a more authentic speakeasy experience. When we arrived, the place was empty (we were the only guests), but within an hour it got fully packed. Since the space is quite small, it's a good idea to come early or book a table in advance. You won’t find classic cocktails on the menu - only their own signature creations. Personally, I am not a fan of their cocktail selection, but that’s a matter of taste. The service was pleasant - the lady hostess was very welcoming and professional, helped us choose drinks based on our preferences, and described the taste profiles well. Prices are on the higher side, so keep that in mind.

I had such a great time at nosaints! The service was super attentive without being over the top, and the cocktails were honestly some of the best I’ve had. The vibe, with the music and atmosphere, made it feel private and a bit exclusive in the best way. Definitely a spot I’d love to come back to.

Do not recommend coming here. Went to see a ballet at the national opera and made a reservation to get drinks at No Saints after as it’s nearby. We made the reservation about 1 month in advance. We received two emails from no saints confirming our booking including one the day of reminding us that are reservation upcoming. When we arrived the place was empty except for a table of two women. We had a hard time finding someone to help us. When a hostess did appear, she said they didn’t have our reservation and were not sure if they could seat us as we were not a large enough company to be seated. We pulled up our reservation email to show her. She argued with us. Another woman named Daria ( I assume the manager on duty) said the email we received (attached) did not confirm our reservation. Very confusing as when you read the email written in English it states it is a confirmation. We left because it was not a cool atmosphere/vibe, it was empty and not worth the energy to try to explain that this third rate bar needed to 1/invest in better reservation technology or train their staff on the use of, 2/ teach their staff customer service and the value of making money.

We were being rushed. Bar is supposed to be a relaxing place where you can take your time. Not here, this is like a bistro pretending to be a bar After getting seats and menus, the bartender came back literally less than 20 seconds and asked what do we want to order. I told we need more time to read the menu! And instead of leaving and giving us more time - HE JUST STOOD THERE and said: "What do you usually drink? What kind of alcohol? I'll help you choose now" ... wow!! To be honest at this point we should have just left! Then - when our drinks were only halfway done, he comes again to our table to offer a second drink. Like what? Was I supposed to just "chug down" my current drink? Also - this happened when there were more people coming in, I'm pretty sure he just wanted to make us leave sooner to free our table. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

We found nosaints hidden bar via TripAdvisor & Google reviews which all said good things about this bar. Firstly, it really is hidden along a dark alley, down a pitch black set of stairs & in via an unmarked door that you don't even know you are in the right place until you open the door!! When inside, the service is very friendly & the choice of cocktails is large! We booked, but we were early & didn't really need to. We enjoyed our unusual cocktails & everything was explained well. Recommended.

As fans of speakeasy bars, we loved discovering this spot in Riga’s new center. You know it’s open when the small red light outside is on — then you ring the bell, get buzzed in, and head down to a cozy basement that feels straight out of the Prohibition era. The atmosphere is intimate and atmospheric, with only a few people around when we visited, which we really enjoyed. We sat at the bar, had some very creative cocktails, and chatted with the super friendly staff. Definitely one for speakeasy lovers.

Used an opportunity to organize a team building activity at Bar 6 for my colleagues, and we had an amazing master class with 4 cocktails of your choosing, combined with expert guidance from one of the pioneers of bartending industry in Latvia - Pāvels. We learned all the most important techniques of cocktail making. Had a custom experience based on everyone's taste buds, and Pāvels masterfully accommodated a non-drinker with amazing non-alcoholic cocktail options. Personally, having experience in the bartending field, even I learned some new things, my colleagues learned even more, and we will definitely take this knowledge home to build some fantastic drinks in our own time. Much recommend attending, would it be just for drinks if you want a genuine speakeasy experience, or just us as we did, organize a team activity for your colleagues for a fun experience. 10/10!

Definitely my favorite bar in Riga, hidden or not. The atmosphere is top notch - so inviting and intimate, perfect for a chill night out. Cocktail selection is great, not too colorful but very tasty. Every drink is served with a glass of water and by a charming waiter. You can also enjoy the whole cocktail making process. There is a little room for smoking and a bathroom with a large mirror. The guacamole with nachos is DELICIOUS 😋

Bar Six is a speakeasy bar that has taken the concept to a reasonable level. We were welcomed in a great way when we arrived and the drink menu has really good prices for the kind of high quality cocktails that you get here. There is even a happy hour if you arrive early where you get two drink for the price of one. They serve som bar snacks too. The staff was good, service was quick and the music was good, albeit a bit loud for that kind of bar. I would definitely come back next time I'm in Riga. Update 2023: Still as good as before! Great service and cocktails. We had a great time here once again.

I went there during the lucky hour on a Tuesday. it was quite empty, however it's a working day, so no surprise! the bartender was super helpful in making the crucial decision aka the drink. also the menu is very cool with the graph (you have to visit to know what I'm talking ab). and he brought water, which is always good.

Lovely little neighborhood spot! Will definitely go back; superb service, friendly and Friday night live DJ with ambient music to match the mood. Delicious coconut and chicken soup, herb crusted chicken filets, and yummy cocktails. Hoping to make this place a regular haunt of mine…for those driving in, there’s an easy parking lot next door with available spots.

Incredible waffles and tip top bar! Reservations are required for brunch but worth the trouble for truly all you can eat waffles. Definitely a must for Rīgas and visitors.

The atmosphere is amazing! Definitely worth a visit, I can recommend getting kvas (non alcoholic) even though they don’t have it on tap the bottle is of a great quality! Rose gin&tonic is also a perfect drink if you don’t know what to get 👌🏻

This bar was situated on the corner near our accommodation. We loved it so much we ate here twice. Fantastic atmosphere. The vodka shot that came with this burger was the best I've tasted. The burgers themselves were great. We did have a little wait the second visit but that was because it was busy. Great bar, friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

Great place to have a drink! I recommend typical latvia drink-hot balsam. It seems to be in Russia or comunistic Poland. Or just Sovietic Union again 😉 You have there a lot of things from that time. Good sweet potatoe fries! And good portion for this money. Recommend for everyone, close to the city center, nice atmosphere and place different than typical bars nowadays...

A cozy, old fashioned gastro pub serving traditional Russian cuisine classics and reasonably-priced drinks. Decoration and atmosphere are pretty cool but our dishes took almost an hour (on a quiet Sunday night) and were just OK when they did - Nothing special. Bottom line: Visit in a group for a fun bar game night and some snacks, just don't do it hungry.

My partner and I really enjoyed this Cafe. €7.50 for the Moscow burger which included a shot of vodka, chips and some gherkins. Nice decor and music. You order at the bar.

Cloud Nine delivered a sophisticated experience with a setting that felt polished yet approachable. Jane, who looked after us, did an excellent job with service, and the drinks were well made and refined. The atmosphere was calm and stylish, making it a good choice for a quieter evening in a well-run bar.

Very nice quaint bar with a dark and mysterious vibe that provides hookah smoking. The cocktail list was super nice and creative. The service was welcoming and the bartenderesse skills impressive. Cocktails are designed to amuse the eyes as well as the mouth! Enjoy 🙂

Stylish cocktail bar with an impressively large menu and very creative presentations — one of our drinks came with a smoke effect, another with fire, both really eye-catching. What we didn’t love was the presence of shisha in the space, which took away a bit from the otherwise elegant vibe (and the smell wasn’t great). Still, the cocktails themselves were excellent and worth trying.

Went there for Riga Restaurant week 2024 with my wife and we're both very positively surprised! First of all, by the photos the portions do not look very big, but we got pretty full, so that was not an issue. All the food was truly amazing, pumpkin basket with halva (fudge) is something out of this world! Duck breast was perfectly cooked! The dessert was a bit too sweet for both of us, but still a good one. This place is definitely one of the Riga gems.

B Bars – Riga Bbars restaurant is located behind the Riga Cathedral in Riga Old Town. Because of its location, it seemed more private than many of the Old Town restaurants. They offer indoor or outdoor seating. Bbars offers a superb selection of European and Latvian cuisine. The restaurant is a favorite watering hole for locals. It offers a happy hour, a live DJ, and a fantastic sharing menu. Latvian potato pancake appetizers are an ideal start to a delightful meal. A must-try soup is Bbars Buyabeze soup, a traditional Latvian cold pink beetroot soup. Do not let the color turn you off. For our main courses, I had a generous portion of Baltic Sea squid, and Mary chose the juicy beef steak. Both came with traditional potato cakes and a variety of local vegetables. We were both delighted with our choices. Riga Black Balsam was our dessert, generously provided by the excellent staff at Bbars. Pro Tip: Riga Black Balsam is a powerful Latvian liqueur. We left Bbars in a happy mood.

Great atmosphere and service, full of people on a Saturday night! DJ plays in the evenings! We decided to try 3 appetizers from the menu - salmon tartare with avocado and cucumber salsa, the portion is very good and very tasty! Vitello tonnato simple and great! But the star of the evening was fried squid, so tender, easy to chew and fabulously tasty, only 11 euros!!! I recommend visiting this place ! And Espresso Martini !👏

My girlfriend and I recently visited **Rock Café Pub** in Riga, and it was an absolute blast! From the moment we walked in, the gritty rock ‘n’ roll vibe grabbed us—walls plastered with band posters, neon lights, and memorabilia from legends like Metallica and AC/DC. The atmosphere was electric, with a killer playlist of rock classics that had us air-guitaring between bites. **Service** was top-notch. The staff were friendly, quick to seat us, and even recommended their signature cocktails. The bartender whipped up a mean **"High Voltage Mojito"** (a must-try!), and our server was patient as we debated the menu. **Food** surprised us in the best way. We split the **"Smoky BBQ Burger"**—juicy, flavorful, and piled high with crispy onions—and the loaded nachos, which were perfect for sharing. Portions were generous, and the prices felt fair for the quality. They even had solid vegetarian options, which my veggie-loving girlfriend appreciated.

Interesting place with lots of different rooms and lots of places to dance, sing karaoke and have drinks in the bars. You also can put your jackets away downstairs. Drinks were good too. Cider and cocktails we had were good.

This place has at least 2 identities.. During the day it's easy to get in and a good spot to eat outside on a relatively quiet street and to have a good choice of drinks and a fair selection of food. Garlic rye bread and blue cheese dip it's great beer food. During night time, expect to queue to get inside and the music is full on 💪🏻👍🏻 Service is good and nice food quality.

It's a mix of a pib and a clubhouse. Drinks are great, environment is awesome and the music is very well balanced. The only downside is the total absence of any food at all. Not even peanuts (perhaps) only after 22h. Overall is crowded, it has 5 or 6 different places with different music. The concept is unique. The only downside is really the food. It might be normal in some parts of Europe, but many others will enjoy a least a peanut

I was surprised to see that at 7PM place was empty and only after 8P it started crowding up. Ribs were nice and grilled vegetables, that came with it, were really nicely spiced. It is not a place to drink tea though, I have to say based on mint tea experience.

Lovely place for a relaxing dinner listening/watching music videos. The food is delicious and good value. The servers are very courteous and speak good English. A choice of rooms to eat in was welcome as we chose a comfortable room at the back.

Racist pub, they will see the skin color based on that only they give entry. Would suggest not to go there, go the nearby valhala pub. Fight against racism.

Was told bar was shutting in 15 mins so couldn’t get a drink. We said we will drink quickly. Bar man said we can take it away. Online says open until 2 maybe get that changed. I had a white wine my dad a red, barman said I can make it a double. Sure why not. That’s €36 👀 seriously… Shocking prices.

One of the best cocktails in Riga! The drinks were absolutely amazing and gorgeous, specially the one with smoke. The bartender Karolina was super friendly and really good with cocktails. You can also order a drink based on how you like it(e.g very sweet or more fresh) The place is very cozy, comfy and very clean. Not pricey at all. Definitely recommend it and will come back next time for sure.

Everyone knows this place with original cocktails and tasty food, but I associate it also with excellent Kalve coffee. I came here for a lunch and then returned twice for a night out with friends. Great Gin choice as well as fine local craft beer! 🙂👍

This was our second stay at the Grand Kempinski in Riga. The rooms are clean and beautiful with good air conditioning. The breakfast is delicious and the upstairs restaurant is great. It is the people working here that make staying at the Kempinski exceptional. From a warm welcome to extremely helpful front desk associates to having your coffee preference remembered at breakfast, the employees here elevate the experience. I highly recommend and plan to return when visiting Riga again.

Stayed here recently for a 10 day stay for business and had an amazing stay. The spa was a welcome respite from a long day of meetings and report writing. The location to surrounding attractions, restaurants, and grocery stores is ideal for a long stay. The service is highly professional and excellent, I felt welcomed from the moment I stepped into the lobby. I want to especially commend the hostess at breakfast and her entire team of wait staff who made breakfast truly enjoyable every morning. She greeted me every morning with a smile, remembered my preferred table and my hot green tea which I enjoy greatly. The wait staff was quick with their service, removing my plate when I was finished and asking if I needed anything. I normally do not eat breakfast but eating breakfast here was the highlight of my stay every day. I also wanted to thank the spa staff for maintaining the spa so clean and welcoming. I had a massage while I was there and it was a great experience. The masseuse was very professional and knowledgeable about deep tissue, you cannot go wrong with spa services here. Thank you to Grand Hotel Kempinski for a very wonderful stay and will definitely choose this hotel for future stays in Riga, that is a promise.

It’s very nice and Probably Riga’s best hotel in terms of stars/price range (there is no real ultra luxury competition) but not without its flaws. Check-in was excellent with a lovely charming French lady (Emilie), a really positive, kind, engaging professional welcome. Stayed in a Junior Suite which was very nice, good view and flawless in terms of hard product. Pool/Spa area very nice and service very nice. Stage 22 restaurant/bar very nice and good quality food/cocktails and lovely service - Lobster sandwich was outstanding. Unfortunately on first night my bill included some items I don’t order which was disappointing- they apologized and removed but shouldn’t happen here especially tired travelers should not need to double check their bills. What didn’t I like - well let’s talk about breakfast and Eggs Benedict / Avocado Egg Toast. It was disappointing. We ordered eggs Benedict and avocado with egg. Both came with hard boiled eggs. The staff were all very pleasant but there seemed a lack of oversight or training. Even when I asked to change it they asked what was wrong. The second attempt was better in egg cooking but swimming in very thick hollandaise. Not pleasant. I didn’t risk it the second morning and just ordered fried eggs (which were perfect). That said, the service was all very pleasant and proactive and everyone was kind, despite they can’t match what they aim to offer in the a la carte selection. Concierge/Bellboys were very nice and knowledgeable- had a few casual conversations with them and they clearly enjoyed their jobs and were super nice. Would I stay again, yes as I’m in Riga quite regularly.

The hospitality here at The Grand Hotel was absolutely amazing. The lobby bar and cigar lounge are nice and relaxing amenities. The 22 Lounge up top has a great view with a good sized bar. Elizabeta was an amazing hostess here and made us feel at home! Thank you guys again for having us we will be back!

I only stayed there for 3 nights I wish I would been there longer great service great breakfast great room beautiful spa and pool so relaxing and beautiful classy style but maybe to colorful hotel maybe a little less color they had a casino a cigar lounge pool sauna ice pool big pool steam room massage and great check-in u should stay here

If you would like to sing, forget about in in weekend. They change roles and now you need to book table for 100 euro, in this case you will have possibility to sing… Sound in very poor… I don’t suggest to visit it for karaoke!

Russian music and Russian atmosphere. If you want to be at the bottom of Europe, you will like it.

It's usually a very nice club but recently it's crowded with some gold diggers and escorts and not so many English speakers... The other problem is that lots of people already know each other there and you may feel a bit socially excluded. But this does not depend on the club itself but definitely affects the atmosphere. Said that, the club is beautiful, bar tenders and security really professional. It's a very good example of how to run a successful club in Riga.

Dance club on the first floor and karaoke bar beneath. Decent, friendly atmosphere and good priced drinks. Open until the early hours and worth a punt if you're looking for an evening dancing or singing the night away

Sorry, but this place is really tacky. The drinks are expensive, russian music is almost on constant rotation. While you can book the tables, the surrounding atmosphere is just atrocious. It's like year 2022 never happened. If you'd like to feel as in Russia then it might be the pace for you.

Had mini tacos 8pcs for 15€. For 2 people i think is ok. Tryed local beer draft. Food is good and drinks are good too. Drinks waiting time 5 min. Tacos 25min.

We truly loved our stay at this beautiful boutique hotel. The location is perfect, the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very cozy. Everything felt well thought-out – from the lovely room service to the large, white, fluffy towels and plenty of space to store personal belongings. Breakfast was a real highlight: there’s both a buffet and an egg station, plus you can order à la carte. The food was absolutely delicious — wonderful pastries, pancakes, and other treats that made mornings a joy. If I had to mention one downside, it would be the entrance with large suitcases. The doors are quite heavy, there’s no staff to greet or help, and the only way in is up the stairs. As someone who is pregnant and traveling with luggage, this was a bit challenging. However, once we asked, the team was very kind and helped us, so I believe this can be easily solved.

Excellent location and the staff were wonderful. I had to leave early for a flight the following morning and they provided me with a generous takeaway breakfast. No fuss, just perfect. Would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a 5* experience. Rooms were also quiet and air con worked perfectly.

Had a fantastic weekend stay at Grand Palace Hotel. Location is perfect to explore the Old City and hop back and forth whenever you need a break. The staff were friendly and accommodated all my requests. Only one small problem was water pressure and spillage. Hopefully they will take care of these issues. I would recommend replacing the bathtubs with rain showers.

Outdated room and interior and not the vintage outdated type. The dirty carpet and bad shower type. The type that your clothes start stinking of fried food while you have breakfast. Definitely not a five star hotel. Even worse the service was terrible. We were placed in a room and next morning we were told we need to move to another room. We refused to move and the manager said he would call the police. We told him we would be happy to talk to the police. At that point he called someone and the problem was resolved.

Perfect place for trying black balsam, I ordered some kind of menu with different flavours- highly recommend this option. Ladies working there was super nice, the vibe and the place is stunning. Be careful- the black balsam is indeed a black magic 😁

Probably a bit touristy but that's the old town for ya. Was fun to try the different balsams on offer in a dark, quirky but fun atmosphere. Definitely should have tried the chocolates but that will be for next time. Just a fun little experience even if it's catered towards tourists.

Gorgeous building with incredibly detailed interior architecture filled with the warmth of candles, old timber, brass, cast iron, artisan chocolates, locally made drinks and friendly staff. OVERALL: Highly recommend. I went back a few times and strongly suggest it as a great tucked away place where you can hear and hold conversations with larger groups of friends/family... Easily seating 10+ or couples or even as a unique business meeting environment.

Visited in Sep 2025 The Black Magic bar in old town is the most popular bar in Riga due to its menu full of items made using Riga Black Balsam. They have a full cocktail menu where Balsam is one of the ingredients in the drinks, and also have food items where Balsam is a component. We ordered a couple of cocktails (the Black Mojito and the Fresh Black Cranberry) both of which were good. Also ordered a few chocolate truffles which I would also recommend ordering, as they were fantastic. However, if you want to buy bottles of Balsam, you’re better off buying it from a supermart (Rimi) then here because the prices are cheaper in the supermart. Service was fine. We did not have a reservation and did a walk in, and were able to get a seat immediately. But this place can get a bit crowded, and therefore visiting during peak hours may be better with a reservation. Overall, I would definitely recommend a visit to the Black Magic Bar when you’re in Riga for trying a few cocktails.

This place looks amazing inside, and the atmosphere gets even better with the candlelight. I went in to make a short break from exploring the city and it was an experience in itself. I really enjoyed sitting and relaxing here for a bit. The only downside is that the truffles did not meet my expectations, so I would suggest skipping them altogether and just enjoying a cup of coffe.

This place is themed and a tourist hotspot, but it is done well, and the staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is celebratory. They specialise in sweet treats and the local drink Balsam - try the cherry before the classic to ease you in. Can't recommend enough, real candles, a wonderful aesthetic and friendly welcome - what more could you want. Plenty of seats inside and through the back.

A nice cozy place with great food and live music. Staff is super friendly. We have tried different dishes and didn’t leave any disappointment. Keep in mind, burger portions are quite big and filling. Craft Beers worth trying especially cider beers BUT try a sample before ordering a glass. Trust me , u May not like all the flavors of cider beers. If you go over weekends, after 9 pm there might be a live music. Not much options for group sitting, better go for a reservation for big groups.

Nice bar with plenty of rooms and a terrace. Very friendly staff, live music events. Update I tried their pulled pork hamburger (they have their own oven, firewood oven if I'm not wrong, and they cook 12 hours their pulled pork) and so the hamburger was the best pulled pork hamburger I have tried in Latvia, and Im comparing this vs a place called "Munch" or something like that which is rated something like #13 in Europe, but Ciderijas pulled pork burger takes first place, I have tried pulled pork from another places but well, worthless to mention their names due to poor quality. Pizza, rustic style, very slim and tasty pizza dough but just a bit more of cheese would have been nice. I tried a pizza with shrimps which it came with very nice size and portion of shrimps. And the Diabolo, Diaboleto, something like that. Thank you guys for the great food and friendly service, please keep the place clean from dogs. Not everybody loves having a smoker next to, so as well some people isn't glad to have dogs next to and especially in a cafe. Thanks ))

I found myself in Riga, Latvia and in need of food and drink after a long drive. Although crowded, we were able to find a table at Sidrērija. They offered a nice selection of local wines, beer, and ciders. I had a yummy burger and enjoyed this place very much.

I and my friends had dinner and it was perfect! We had a burgers and a pizza. I have had a triple cheeseburger and I just can't remember when I had a better cheeseburger in a long time! The staff was very friendly and I can only say a big thank you for all the experience!

We enjoyed our food here. The drinks were lovely. They have gluten free/vegan/vegetarian options clearly marked on the menu which is good. The service wasnt great but there was only 1 barman and 1 girl working the whole restaurant/bar area for food and drink. It would have been 5 stars if they could have taken the order/cleared then plates quicker.

Great little bar for a midweek pint. We ordered a wine and a pint of local beer for 10 euros. We sat outside and watched life go by. The bar man was very nice and we had a long chat. The pub is very popular with chess players, and there were a couple of old guys playing inside. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

I asked for a LOCAL shot and I was served Stroh: an 80 degree Austrian liquor - which is never meant to be drank as a shot. Without any prior notice you can understand this wasn't pleasant. The waiter was extremely rude and unpolite. Indees, not a service-oriented person, who seemed to enjoy my surprise having a drink of that graduation. Definitely not a place that I'd recommend to anyone.

Turned up after midnight on a cold rainy night, ended up staying until 5am playing chess and meeting tourists and locals. Bartender Liga was very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend.

Awesome place! Owner is great and the place is aswell. It even has a armwrestling table in it. There was a canadian guy beating everybody there very impressive.

A small pub with a cool multi passenger party bike bar parked outside. Earlier today I saw a party of 8 on the bike having beers while it was parked at front of the bar. I’m assuming you can go on a trip around old town while enjoying beverages, each seat area has pedals. The music is loud, and the punters are young. Pints of beer start at 3.5euro

My 2nd time around having the traditional drink in the city andlove it. Bit cheaper bar than others around. Small and lovely place So close by, just in front of the hotel.

Cydonia Gastro Pub – Riga Cydonia Gastropub is located in the historic Berg Bazars complex in the heart of Riga. Tucked away on one of the winding walkways in this arcade, it allows for a quiet, intimate dinner. Cydonia Gastropub has indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is ideal for people-watching and socializing with friends passing by. The indoor area allows for quiet conversations and a haven if the weather is not cooperating. The menu has a variety of dishes for all tastes, but the majority of the mains are beef, pork, lamb, and chicken entrees. Kevin chose beef cheeks with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The savory meat was literally melt-in-your-mouth tender. Mary’s choice was beef goulash. Our dessert selection was Coconut Cheesecake with salted caramel chocolate and fresh berries drizzled with Baileys. It was a sweet ending to a lovely meal.

It was a rainy Monday and I walked to grab some dinner and this interesting looking place with an extensive menu. The server was very nice and helpful. I went ahead and ordered a beer as well as the poke bowl with shrimp. It looked beautiful and tasted beautiful. I got the teriyaki dressing which was actually a mayo based dressing, which came on the side. I'm not that big a fan of mayo, nonetheless, it tasted good and I added small amounts of it to the dish. The bowl came with mango, seaweed salad, edamame, cucumber, carrots, avocado, quinoa and pickled ginger. Was quite delicious! I wasn't full though, so I ordered sweet potato fries for dessert. Haha. That was really good! Overall, great food, service and atmosphere. Good for groups and kids. It is wheelchair accessible as well

Come for the vibe not for the food. I wish I just came for drinks. Mexican dish lacked flavor . Very mild taste and small portion. Server started nice, but got my drink order wrong and didn’t bring a place setting. I had to ask for most things which should be done without asking.

Good food and good service. Had seafood Soup, which had good variety of seafood. Also, a very nice bread basket. Too bad I was bit hungry, or I would have sampled all. Interior were also quite cozy and upscale. Services were also professional and efficient. I'd definitely go back if I'm nearby.

Tasty food, good atmosphere and nice service. Visited the bar Saturday during the day and it was full so recommend to reserve the table. Was very surprised by menu - so many options that could not decide what to order. Really enjoyed the design of the place. Definitely recommend to visit.

Steak was perfect. The mussles in putanesca sauce were also very good, although they should be served a little bit warmer. Service is outstanding: friendly, funny, mind reading VERY recommendable.

A good place to spend an evening — it’s open until midnight. There’s a variety of popular Mexican dishes, such as different tacos and snacks. You can also find chicken burgers and some hot meals on the menu. The portions are a good size. There’s a nice selection of cocktails. Service is fast, and the staff are really friendly.

This has been one of my favourite places for years, unfortunately I feel like the food just keeps disappointing me more and more. Last time we went the tacos with pulled chicken tasted like tuna and lacked any flavour. The tacos with spicy coliflower were burnt and the only thing you could taste was the sweet chilli source that was poured over the top. I don’t know if the price reflects the quality anymore.

This one of my favourite spots. The staff is super friendly and nice. There is a nice atmosphere, especially if you are there when the DJ is playing. They even brought out popcorn for us completely for free. The drinks are good, but the food is somewhat disappointing. Their sweet potato fries are amazing, but the only taco we liked was the shrimp one and the quesadilla did not seem fresh and was lacking flavour. Overall, I definitely will be coming back!

A cosy place with good food and drinks. The ambience is well set with good seating arrangement, service speed can be better with faster table service. Quality of food is good with a wide spread, stewards are very friendly.

Cozy spot for tacos and other Mexican-inspired dishes in Riga. I went for the tacos, and even though they use wheat tortillas instead of corn, they’re not that bad and work well with all the non-vegan fillings they offer. As a fish-taco fan, I appreciated the crispy cod taco. I would advise leaving room for dessert, the churros with chocolate are really something. I paired everything with a mezcalita that was right on point. If you’re in Riga and into tacos, give Mañana a try!

as mexican, the pulled pork taco was the most alike, the only missing thing was that there were server without any spicy sauce (mostly served as the center table) but anyways tasted good. service kind and beauty faces. fair prices. viva mexico cabrones!

The bagels here are freshly made, chewy and so satisfying! Great to have so many vegan options. However, on our second visit they gave us regular cream cheese instead of vegan cream cheese so just be super careful when placing your order. Would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for this mistake. We took it back to our accommodation to eat so it was too late to let them know.

Absolutely amazing selection of bagels. Highly recommend you try this place. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options to! Reasonable prices. My favorite was the Vegetarian in Barbados!! It is quite crowded in the mornings, took my order to go and ate at the hotel.

This is a small sandwich shop serving everything on a bagel. The food is great and reasonably priced. There isn't a lot of seating so it can get crowded during peak times but it's definitely worth it. I had the BLT and it was delicious. And they were kind enough to hold the mustard and cheese, which came standard.

This little bagel place is amazing. The place itself is really cool - check the ceiling out. The coffee is excellent, the bagel options are excellent and the staff are amazing. We had our first and final Riga meal here and there are no regrets!

now this is what id consider a classy place to grab a glass or two of proper wine with a friend after a long week (or day 🙂‍↕️). from atmosphere to wine/food to service, everything was well executed. if you're not too picky/knowledgeable with wines - you're in good hands here and can expect guidance as per your preferences! id just keep in mind that it seems to get busy indoors (rightfully so!) quite quickly but there's quite a few tables outside if weather allows.

Can't express to you how much I love this place. Wine selection is superb, changing frequency and prices are fair as well. Glasses start at 7 or 8 Euros, poured in generously as well. Here you'll find stuff that is far from ordinary and will definitely broaden your knowledge of wine. 12 different wines by the glass (which is a Riga record I think), super nice and staff, very talented kitchen. Definitely #1 for me in Riga.

You had me at "zero BS wine." Incredible selection of wines and staff that can equally match whatever tasting notes you have in mind. Food is tapas style so portions are small but delicious. Not great for budget travelers but absolutely great for wine lovers!! Would recommend to any of my fellow winos!

Discovered on Raisin as one of the only 2 natural wine bars in Riga, I decided to stop by. Loved the location, the service, the food and the wine (maybe some white/orange were too cold but that's still ok). Would be very happy to come back.

We absolutely loved Truff le pig! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a perfect balance between casual and refined. The hosts made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived — it’s clear they put their heart into every detail. The wine selection was fantastic, thoughtfully curated and full of pleasant surprises. Altogether, the vibe was relaxed, friendly, and full of character — one of those places you instantly want to come back to.

Too much fuss over literally nothing. The guys snagged to score a spot in a prime location and making a hype mountain out of a molehill. Mediocre wines. Poor selection by glasses. Snack menu is a mixed bag of quality. Overpriced. Overcrowded due to tiny space. It's like fitting 15 people into a train compartment, packed in like sardines in a cane. Extremely noisy. But the biggest surprise and red flag - they do not change wine glasses for different types of wine! ⛔️ White wine after red one to the same glass )) My friend was poured white wine to the glass with the remains of quite specific and smelly organic orange wine. Insane)

Omg! What a spot! Recommended to me by a friend, and it totally delivered. We had bunch of different foods & natural wines but what especially stood out was their beef tartare sandwich. One of the best tartares I have ever had and I loved the presentation. We were sad the kitchen was closed by the time we consumed the first tartare or else we would have probably order more 😂 can’t wait to come back once in Riga again!

Nice bar for drinks but there is no one there if you go for pre dinner drinks. The drinks themselves were very good. Though our server was not rude nor friendly. Didn’t really care to be there at all.

Wow wow!!! A’drop is a true heavy hitter in the cocktail scene. Chic and easy to find, A’Drop has great service, indoor and outdoor seating (summer and Fall) and most importantly: divine cocktails. From caramel popcorn nosed bourbon highballs to vespers, sazeracs Negronis, whiskey sours and martinis, this place is a must visit for any cocktail seeker. Additionally, they have small bites available and you have to make reservations: this place FILLS up.

Love their little popcorn basket as a snack! The cocktails were alright, maybe a bit unbalanced I would say.

Went specifically for smoking hookah...top! The hookah-guy was super attentive and made a giod one! Cocktail was excellent as well. There's possibility to sit both inside and otside(weather permitting). They also have food, but didn't try..

Very comfortable seating throughout. I ordered the strong strength shisha with black tobacco and it was prepared very well. The cranberry lychee lemonade tasted great and the staff is very friendly. I also ordered a tropical cocktail that I enjoyed. Pretty good value and I enjoyed the loft seating on the upper most level. Bathrooms are clean and modern. They also have a kitchen now and offer a variety of food options. I like that they have a remote on the table which you can use to have the check brought to you or order shisha/regular service from the waiter.

Awesome place with amazing vibe! There is a DJ on Friday and Saturday! The cocktails are awesome, I recommend Pain Killer. It is awesome! The presentation is very beautiful. They also have buttons to call the shisha guy or order cocktails. Alex is our favourite shisha guy, anything he does tastes amazing! The toilets are clean, and there are multiple! They also have quite a lot of seating for large companies! We do play board games here time to time! There is a free parking near hotel that can be used, and there is on near the Kungu street entrance, between two signs.

Only stayed for drinks but they were excellently priced and the service was amazing. Wish we found this place sooner. Possibly the best value for money drinks in the whole of Old Riga. Don't forget to catch the happy hour where all cocktails are Buy One Get One Free 😉

The bar is extremely nice, the atmosphere is great, and when I visited, Ita, one of the bartenders, was one of the nicest people I've met in the country. The bar takes allergies seriously. The prices are too low to be true (but they are true), and the drinks are delicious. My biggest surprise here is that even though the prices during happy hour are lower than everywhere else, the drinks are extremely well made and Ita didn't cheap out on the alcohol either 😅

This is a wonderful venue. It's intimate and has an entirely unique style, possibly because it's set in cellars that are hundreds of years old and in the historic city centre. There's a large range of Baltic beers and liqueurs and other drinks. The man behind the bar was extremely helpful in recommending different options and we thoroughly enjoyed everything he suggested during the night. It's hidden away but well worth finding the stone archway to enter the courtyard where you will find the steps down into this great bar.

I think this is where the cool kids hang, and the students. My friend said we're too old for this place but I'm not even 30 yet so I disagree! Very relaxed vibe, crazy selection of shooters and the long island ice tea comes in a jam jar. A dangerous drink as they definitely don't skimp on the alcohol! Would recommend this place if you're looking for a cool place for an affordable drink after dinner. :)

Definitely a place, where to come, if you love cocktails. Draft beer selection is not wide, but I suggest to try Lielvārdes dark beer. If you come to happy hours, you can have 2 draft beers for 3.9 EUR. Other good option for beer lover is bottled beers. P.S. Check out for their events on FB page

AVOID!!! Their Happy Hour cocktail prices look great, but when you consider that there is ZERO alcohol in them, they become very expensive. I went to the bar to tell the waitress that there was no alcohol in our drinks, they DEFINITELY have two bottles of each alcohol behind the bar, one with water in and one with actual alcohol (that they will let you taste as if this proves that they haven't given you 'alcohol' from the bottle containing water). Avoid avoid avoid. Much better cocktails and happy hour just down the street at Cuba Bar that actually contains alcohol.

Wide selection of exotic whiskeys and cigars regarding variety, origin and price. Polite, young and very professional girl. She is great at giving advice on what to chose. The place is elegant and it has one room for only drinking and a separate room for smoking and drinking. And the best part is that dogs are not allowed.

Nice atmospheric local bar with good beer selection, some cocktails and almost no food

Good selection of local craft beers (for winter at least and the average size of premises) and import drinks. In hot summer there are closed backyard available for chill. Some interesting interior elements and overall had a pleasant experience as always.

The bar has a very particular sense of “hospitality” — the bartender is incredibly arrogant and dismissive, and there’s an older guy who apparently has free rein to touch any woman he wants. Instead of stepping in, the bartender defends him — and if you speak up, you’ll be thrown out, drink still half full. To top it all off, the bartender will remind you multiple times how lucky you are to even be there “after official closing hours,” all while still happily serving drinks and taking your money — until he decides he’s had enough and kicks you out anyway.

I rarely review places after just one visit, but I was only visiting Rīga and this place deserves it. Great beer selection, easy-going atmosphere, quirky decor, and friendly service. There is nothing else I ask of my drinking spots. It was a great spot to catch up with a friend over a drink. A little garden in the back is probably great in the summer. Fire was a nice touch in January.

Quite a cool place! A mix of a cocktail bar and a club. We visited it on Friday, and there was a DJ - mostly Russian songs (mashed up pretty well tho), nice interior design and fun atmosphere, the bartenders are enjoying themselves as well. We paid around €85 for a hookah, 4 Long Islands and a passion fruit cocktail, so I can’t say it’s cheap, but kinda worth it.

Pretty expensive and they didn’t have almost every cocktail. Didn’t have the ingredients. Sushi were good, but nit the best. Bartender wasn’t really nice, he looked creepy and gave us strange looks (we were alone, girls). I recommend choosing another place for a fun night.

They combine different modern technologies to create masterpiece cocktails. Food corner behind the bar with Vietnamese spring-rolls, beef tartare where absolutely my favourites. Highly recommended!

This cozy restaurant has left the best at first impressions but the service was so incredibly bad that I had to . The bartender ( Vlad? ) was the rudest I have ever encountered. And I mean that . Not just " meh rude . He was on purpose, creatively rud. He was on attitude about every single interaction and didn't pay single attention. This place used to be great . Im not sure if they switched owners but it has gone down hill to poor hospitality and service.

What a gem of a place. Stylish and sexy whilst relaxed. It’s small, only a few tables and a few more seats at the bar so either book or come early. This is mainly a cocktail bar which happens to have great food as well. We got the seafood platter, which is very different than one you would get in the south of europe yet not less interesting for it. Everything was delicious. The star of the evening was Edgars, the bartender. The guy’s a genius, we went off piste to the cocktails menu and instead savoured his creations and fresh takes on some classics. And it was glorious! Highly recommend.

Went for a solo nightcap on a saturday evening - sat at the bar and was made to feel welcome and at ease by the staff. One dirty martini bacame two, and I absolutely loved the care, attention, and mastery of the bar staff both when preparing the delicious cocktails and when discussing them with me.
