The food here is delicious, the menu is pretty small and there is not much choice but what they do have is very nice. The waiter was rushing us with everything despite the restaurants being almost empty. What i enjoyed most is the atmosphere - it is a very cozy vibe and has a very aesthetic interior which is perfect to have good conversations.

8/10 Very interesting experience, me and my girlfriend came in off the street as we didn't know where to eat today. We where immideatly greeted by the waiter and sat down. As we got the menus I was delighted by the rich selection of food. The only problem was that the waiter kept bugging us and coming every other minute asking if we are ready to order again and again. We felt really rushed, this was a pattern throughout our experience, the waiter was very pushy. The food was absolutely amazing, although I don't recommend this for picky eaters the foods all have very very rich and flavourful tastes. A culinary experience but I can't say I'm eager to come back. Overall I would definitely recommend. :)

Fortuidously stumbled across this place while searching for "restaurants near me", what a divine inspiration it was. The food was incredible. Casper is a lovely human being and fabulous waiter. He provided recommendations and took very good care of us. Most respect to the Chef, you could tell from his food that he is passionate about what he does. We had the Burrata, the Civiche, the Pasta a Potato Pancake and the Strawberry Mousse with Olive Oil marinated Rhubarb. Wow! We'll definitely be back. Delightful service, exquisite food, cozy atmosphere. 💗🍴🙌🏼

Our small group went here for supper the other evening. We visited this restaurant quite some time ago and looked forward to our return. We were greeted kindly by staff and seated near the bar - comfy seats. The waiter took our drink and starters order and had them to our table very quickly. Both the antipasti plate and buratta were very good. We ordered our mains and enjoyed a few drinks while waiting. The waiter (also our bartender) was very friendly. He was suggesting drinks to suit our tastes and took time to explain how they were made. When our mains came out, the first thing to notice was the care taken for the presentation - they looked great. My risotto was rich and delicious, with the rice done perfectly. How good was it? Others at the table ordered one to share after their meal hahahaha. My wife's steak was cooked perfectly and tasted great. I would have to say everything was perfect at this point. The dessert choices were not quite what we were expecting. The chocolate chip cookie was a bit hard (almost like biscotti). The peanut butter cookie was good. I did order one of their main dessert selections - the Rhubarb Mousse. It was definitely something different - just not quite what I was expecting. Overall, this evening out was a great meal. The atmosphere, the food, the drinks, and service were great. Thanks for a great meal.

I visited this restaurant for lunch after reading several positive reviews, and I have to admit, the ambiance did make a good first impression. The interior is nicely decorated, with comfortable seating that creates a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the reputation. I ordered the rabbit leg, which was completely lacking in seasoning and felt bland overall. The portion size was quite small compared to the price, making it feel overpriced for what was offered. The coffee I had afterward was also disappointing… Just average at best. On top of that, the staff didn’t come across as friendly or welcoming, which added to the underwhelming experience. Overall, I left surprised at how different my visit was compared to the glowing reviews I’d read beforehand. The ambiance is lovely, but the food and service definitely didn’t match the hype.

Small place with inside/outside seating (outside seating consists of 3 tables). It has low-lighting and cozy chairs creating an intimate atmosphere. There was only one waitress and she was hustling the entire time attending to every table. She was very polite, warm and accommodating. Having said this, I was felt rushed - not because she was busy - but because that is the vibe here. As for the food, I was not impressed. The edamame barely had any salt so I was essentially eating plain steamed edamame - no flavor just texture. The tuna tartare was unimpressive. The sweet potato puree was cold tasteless as was the tuna as it was thickly sliced and therefore the center was refrigerator-cold atop the cold puree and pesto. The highlight of this place for me was the relaxed vibe and cozy space. I would not recommend.

Vegan desserts need some improvement, especially when they’re not cheap. I tried the raw cake and chia pudding and both were disappointing. The cake was way too sweet. The pudding lacked nice flavors and just tasted overwhelmingly of coconut. The place itself is very cozy and staff was friendly and pleasant.

This is a great little gem in the heart of Riga. From all the brunch places we tried during our 4 day stay, this would definitely be one of the highlights. Healthy, delicious food that tastes fresh. There's something to be appreciated in the simplicity of the menu and the dishes - good, clean food. I had the bacon bowl and my wife had the hummus - both excellent choices. In fact, we liked it so much that we'll go tomorrow again. Also, the coffee was great.

I’ve tried shakshuka in many places around the city, but MR Fox truly makes the best one. The flavors are rich and balanced, the eggs cooked just right, and the fresh herbs bring it all together. It felt simple, honest, and absolutely delicious — the kind of dish that makes you want to come back.

Nice place to go for a light breakfast or quick lunch. Plenty of vegan options. Also a good selection of non-dairy milks, like soy, almon, oat etc. The staff was friendly. There isn't much space in the cafe, so maybe you will have to share a table with strangers.

Cozy Breakfast Spot with Room to Improve A lovely place for breakfast with friendly service. The Francis omelet and avocado toast with mozzarella were delicious, beautifully presented, and made with quality ingredients. The American pancakes, although visually appealing, were very tough—so firm it was hard to cut them with a knife. Still, a nice spot overall, but the kitchen has some room to improve. 🍳🥑🥞

So far the best place in Riga's centre to have coffee (and work in my case)! Very nice and attentive staff, cozy atmosphere, soft music, and good coffee. Nice place for breakfast or lunch, as here you can find much bigger variety than in a usual coffee shop. Highly recommended!

This place serves the best coffee I have had in Riga (so far, at least). The menu is accessed via QR code, which seems to be quite common here, but I expect there are other ways to order if you don't have a smartphone. The food was good (although there were no potatoes, and I love potatoes), and the atmosphere was great. The staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English.

Innocent Café was a decent stop for breakfast in Riga. The food leans more towards an American-style breakfast, and while nothing too unique, both the dishes and the coffee were tasty.

Although coffee is a bit expensive, 1€ extra for alternative milk this place is a gem. Waitresses are really friendly and food is awesome. I had a tunna sandwich for breakfast and then the daily menu which is only 7.99€ . Highly recommendable.

The coffee was of good quality, though the cup was a bit on the small side. The food was delicious, I particularly loved the salted pastry with tomato and mozzarella, which was both flavorful and satisfying. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our coffees arrived very quickly, which we appreciated. We paid 24 euros for three pastries and two flat whites. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but considering the quality, atmosphere, and service, it felt well worth it. A very enjoyable experience overall.

Most of pastries in this bakery are sweet, so if you want a savoury one, I would not recommend. At my first visit I got poppy seed croissant roll. It was pretty good but kinda boring. There were not much poppy seeds in the pastry. 7/10. The second time I was there I got pistachio croissant. It was very sweet. The filling was upsetting - it was not creamy, more like homemade icing (I could feel sugar crystals). So, if you are not into really sweet things, I wouldn’t recommend. 6/10. Service and atmosphere is excellent. Pretty busy both times I was here, but that’s not a problem for me.

Very nice, clean, and modern bakery with high-quality baked goods and drinks. The price is perhaps on the slightly high-end, but it is worth it for the quality that you get. There are also separate male/female toilets available at the cafe.

One of the best bakeries in the city. Quality is very high and taste is great. The prices are quite high but worth the product. Service is kind. Best filled croissants in Riga. Bread is ok but not the best.

I’ve had the best pan au chocolat here, it was perfect with a cappucino. They also have a yummy tiramisu and their offer of products overall is impressive.

Perfect place for parents with young kids. That was a surprise when I came here (my bad not checking the reviews) but I was surprised that so many kids are running around here. This is an amazing place for parents who want to have a tasty food while kids are doing something else. The food was really good and tasty. Nothing particularly special, just a good food. Quite a big range of foods to choose from. Good location, near Gallery Riga and center. Service was.nice.and polite. They accept reservations and on busy times I'd recommend to have one. They have two menus - one for breakfast and one for lunch. We were just in time for breakfast menu. For me this was kinda ok experience (nothing great) as I waited for tranquil lunch (but as I said my bad for not checking out the place beforehand). Staff was polite and friendly. I'll come back once I'll have kids for sure.

I really loved this place! Such a great getaway spot for parents, and I love that someone in the food industry actually takes kids’ needs into account. Beautifully designed, nice toys, great location, and good food!

An absolute gem! The place is catering for the needs of both parents and kids. There is a playroom; bathroom facilities are equipped for small customers; they even offer bibs for kids - very thoughtful. I liked every bit - customer service, food, design and the choice of music played - nice and relaxing. My only constructive feedback point is - cutlery - the knife was blunt and the fork/knife handles are so thin - it literally hurt my fingers to use them.

We used to visit Mulberry on Ausekļa street quite often, but unfortunately, the atmosphere there has noticeably deteriorated lately. One particularly unpleasant experience involved a person who appeared to be either the administrator or the manager - it doesn’t really matter who exactly. Swearing at staff members in front of guests is completely unacceptable. Such behavior shows a clear lack of respect for both the employees and the customers. I genuinely feel sorry for the staff who have to work in such conditions. The service has definitely declined, but given the management style, it’s not surprising. The food is tasty, but nothing exceptional. Prices are reasonable for the quiet center. The final straw was a situation where, due to a large number of guests, one of the female guests accidentally bumped into a table, and a vase broke. The manager’s reaction - shouting across the entire restaurant - came off as completely unprofessional and humiliating.

We visited Mulberry on Sunday and enjoyed coffee and dessert. However, I was surprised that when I asked for a glass of water, I was told this is not provided. In many places, serving water with coffee and sweets is seen as a small but important gesture of care and hospitality. Even a simple glass of tap water, especially when a guest asks for it, makes the experience feel more welcoming. It would be wonderful if Mulberry could consider this, as it really adds to the comfort of your guests and leaves a warmer impression.

Nice cafe. Wifi available. Extremely overpriced… probably could find someplace better in Riga than this. Service was okay. Coffee was not good but the cake was a hit better. They are beautifully made, but just too expensive (6€+ for a small cake??).

The sourdough bread, croissants, and pastries are good. Unfortunately, the service is terrible. You can stand at the counter for five minutes hoping someone will notice you, while several staff members are busy doing something else. And it's happening almost every time. Great bakery, but the service really ruins the experience.

If you like great food at a reasonable price, the central market is waiting for you. SO MUCH FOOD! Everything was fresh and was as alluring to the nose as it was to the palate. So much variety, you will hardly know where to start. It's even fun if you're not hungry... just walk around and take it all in. Definitely recommend!

The best open market I’ve ever visited. Traditional meeting the modern in a wonderful mix. Vegetables, fruits, nuts fish, poultry, beef, clothes and lot of other things. I will be back.

The market is huge and full of life you can find just about everything here, from fresh flowers and local foods to meats, cheeses, spices, and handmade goods. It’s a great place to discover authentic Latvian flavors and everyday life. The market is set inside historic old Zeppelin hangars, which gives it a unique and impressive atmosphere. Each pavilion specializes in different products, making it easy to explore and sample a wide variety of items. I especially enjoyed seeing the fresh produce stands and traditional Latvian treats. It’s not just a place to shop—it’s also a cultural experience, perfect for walking around, tasting, and soaking in the local vibe. Nice and quick lunch spot in the gastronomy market they have different restaurants where you can have local food and buy local cheeses and souvenirs. A nice quick stop in the city. Haven’t take any picture of the dumplings but they were very good.

Great place to sample the local food. There are plenty of fruit and veg stalls, flower stalls and clothing stalls as well as a food market inside. They sell all the traditional dishes for extremely reasonable prices so a great way to eat like the locals. It’s a vibrant, buzzing area that’s definitely worth a visit.

Really big market with so much variety. There are different halls dedicated to different types of goods (the meat hall, the fish hall, etc). There's a hall that has eateries, and there are other retain shops throughout. Outside there are fresh fruits and vegetables as well as flowers. Definitely a must visit location for anyone visiting Riga.

A very unique market where each of the four large hangars offers something different, with wonderful caviar, meat, and fish products for sale, and outside, a marketplace and florists. I really liked it.

Really enjoyed my visit here. The service is very friendly and the coffee tastes great. They have a good vegetarian breakfast selection and also a nice choice of cakes. You can sit both inside and outside, and the modern interior makes it a cozy and stylish place to relax. A good spot whether you’re coming for breakfast or just for a coffee break. The porridge was ok, though it could have used a bit more fruit on top and was surprisingly firm to the bite for porridge. The avocado with egg was also fine, but not particularly overwhelming.

We're sitting at the airport, eating a Snickers bar that we didn't get to eat yesterday, and all we can manage to say with each bite is "boah" (the German equivalent of "I love that, thank you!"). Otherwise, we ate here three times: twice in the evening and once for breakfast. Every meal was a culinary dream, and we had everything vegan. The tapas are also highly recommended—they're delicious and so affordable! We truly enjoyed it!

Visited for breakfast and this place is a must-go in Riga!! Food was insanely delicious and service is top! Ordered the potato pancakes with chia caviar, and tofu salad for mains. Matcha latte for a drink, and a pistachio tart...which was heaven on the lips! Vegetarian place and these were all vegan options. Sat in the outside area as the weather was lovely.

Amazing food. After long deliberation i chose jackfruit 🌮 tacos..wow!! Side order of Nachos. My friend had mushroom burger and sweet potatoe fries...good choice all round..we took home a nutty 'snickers' bar' and a chocolate coconut bar...yum 🙌

Very disappointing omelette, almost inedible from being so intensely greasy. Side salad was mostly frisee, which is good, yet makes for a very bare salad, especially with the cucumber sliced so thinly. Service was dull and sullen and I left with a queasy stomach. Grapefruit juice, at least, was fine. Was expecting much better from a place that touts being healthy.

The place to go to find no nonsense wines and try new & interesting options. Food was lovely in a nice, relaxing atmosphere. Opted for a shrimp pasta dish paired with a refreshing white and a chocolate mousse with a smooth pinot noir to finish.

The cottage cheese pancakes were very good! They were moist and soft inside, with an even texture, and were served not just warm, but hot. Not to mention the super friendly staff! Very attentive and made you feel very welcome🙌 I enjoyed my time here.

I had mixed experiences. While the Eggs Benedict I ordered was perfect, the service was not much. It took quite a while to get the attention of the waitress to place my order, and I had to seek them again for the bill. Additionally, I requested a boiled egg but received something different instead. The cottage cheese pancake was just average. I also want to add the quantity of the food compared to the price is over priced.

We came here for brunch and the meal was stunning. They seem to specialise in eggs and it was definitely worth the higher price point. Would recommend to anybody visiting Riga.

I stumbled upon Lowine in Riga and am so glad I did! The staff were incredibly friendly and guided me through a wine tasting to help choose the perfect wine. I tried the avocado and salmon on sourdough was delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The ambience was lovely, and I would highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Riga.

While traveling through the Baltic Countries we started to notice behaviour and approach of service staff towards clients. In a book called “de Nomade” by Anja Niewierra we read of the homo sovieticus, lion set free but so condtioned by living in cages that trapped outside in a mental cage. The same we feel with service. The approach is so strange. No greetings, no welcoming words, just ignoring the client and even avoid eye contact. Conversation is kept to bare minimum. It will take generations to lose this no service approach. Let’s hope it will come, this kind of good food needs better and friendlier interaction by staff. Coffee was surprisingly old fashioned with a good amount of robusta, so high on bitterness and low in acid ity. Strange strange looking at the winelist and the password for the Wifi : Naturalwine

I would say it it THE BEST coffee shop in Riga. It always full and there’re few reasons for this. There are few options of beans for espresso. I choose Ethiopia beans with fruity and sour taste. Next time I will try another option. Also, would be great to ask for different water proportions and grinding. I like 1 to 2 water proportion, it should make it less sour. My friend’s late art 🖼️ was beautiful 🤩 I wish see any other late art themes by request or pay 💰 Panini with chicken was very tasty. The right size. Great to have some gluten free options for people with lower tolerance and simply for healthier lifestyle. There are a lot of people with laptops. Great that there is such option. Cool place to have a coffee! It is also possible to work, many people does. I got the batch brew from Brazil but I wasn’t very impressed, the tones I got was reminder the vinegar most. It is a personal taste as well I am sure that they have other coffee beans more suitable to my taste. Mozzarella sandwich with rye bread was great though. Also the staff is very nice and helpful, they let me try also the other batch of the from Tanzania (which I also also didn’t like much because it has the citrus tones). I would recommend if you are in the neighbourhood. This is one of the best cafes in the town..

I wasn’t really a coffee person, but man, this place literally changed me! Great coffee, pastries as well as other drinks and foods. Plenty of seats, super welcoming staff and atmosphere, you can see the guys making your sandwich, roasting your coffee, location is among the best streets in the city. Gun to head, life on the line, I couldn’t name a single thing I dislike about this place!

Had a lovely meal here - the sesame seed-coated halloumi sticks on the bed of hummus were to die for. Service was pretty good, but do check your bill at the end. Mine was 25% over, but quickly rectified when pointed out.

Amazing Restaurant! Came to Latvia from Germany and walked by this place starving, to say that I left with a full stomach would be an understatement. Not only was the menu creative and bold, but the food all tasted great, from the Korean corn ribs to the chicken waffle. I was pleasantly surprised by the staff as well, especially by the lovely waitresses Madara and Anna! Danielle brought out some food as well, with a positive and helpful attitude. Such service isn’t known in Germany. I will for sure recommend this place and thank you so much to the great employees who make this place so amazing.

One of Riga’s true gems ⭐️ Chambao has quickly become one of my absolute favorite spots in the city. Their breakfast menu is very tasty, with thoughtful options for kids and later in the day, they serve some of the most authentic Mexican flavors you’ll find in Riga. To top it off, the cocktails are simply exceptional—easily among the best I’ve ever had. A must-visit for food lovers and cocktail enthusiasts. And what’s also important - staff is always so friendly and nice!

Chambao delivered one of the best breakfasts of the stay. The décor was bright and stylish, giving the place real character from the moment you walked in. The food matched the setting, served fresh and well presented, with flavour and variety across the menu. The staff were enthusiastic and clearly enjoyed being part of the place, which made the service smooth and friendly. It felt like more than just a quick breakfast stop — it was an experience worth highlighting, and one of the stronger meals overall. Loved their eggs & potato pie!

Finnally I have found Mexican style place in Riga. First - attitude from employees: we come before breakfast time end and chef was kind enough to agree to take our non-breakfast order. I was afraid to take halapenjo starter, but I took it based on advise from waiter. It is the best starter, I have eaten. If you like spicy food, you should try it. We went with friends for lunch, while making a reservation the waitress mentioned that they only were working until four, unfortunately she did forget to mention that they were only serving breakfast that day. Because of that even tho the food was good, it wasn’t what we had in mind when we made the reservation. The food was good ( we had the ranchero, guacamole roster with salmon and taste with strachatela ). I should also recommend the churros, they are served with homemade caramel and chocolate sauce.

Definitely recommend this place, especially in warm weather! They have a charming inner open courtyard that’s perfect for working or relaxing. There’s even a cable available for electricity, so you can comfortably work on your laptop if you enjoy spending time in cafes. The menu has a great variety—not just coffee, but also a solid selection of teas. I also tried the cherry smoothie and it was absolute perfection. Special shout-out for their toilets—clean and really unordinary, in the best way! Highly recommended!

I dropped by this café shortly before closing and was pleasantly surprised. The banana bread was tasty, and the atmosphere felt warm and comfortable. The bartender was friendly and attentive, which made the short visit enjoyable. A nice place for a quick stop if you’re in the area.

Absolutely delicious vegan food in Riga! The restaurant is lovely and the staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. I got the 'schnitzel' which was enormous and so tasty. The fried potatoes, salad and pickled cabbage were the perfect accompaniment. I hope I will get the chance to come back.

Shocking service Dismissive and lazy waiters who were only attentive to a table full of dressed up females. Found the initial attentiveness positive however this changed. We had unlimited Prosecco but this was never topped up and the male waiters were more concerned with flirting with another table and constantly filling their drinks and no one else. Waiters asked several times if they could fill drinks and eventually they half filled glasses where again the table of females managed to get full glasses. Without asking. Will never recommend this place as it was terrible. Waiters also asked for coffee and half the orders missed. They were then rude or dismissive. Bill then arrived where they overcharged on some items. Shocking attitude and behaviour

Went for a Sunday brunch. Nice kitchen menu, friendly service, free bubbles 🥂 Also a virgin option! Great experience if you want something out of the ordinary.

We attended the pre Christmas brunch The service was terrible, food was good, atmosphere was ok. The service was appalling for this kind of place, the waiters were not attentive and there were not enough of them. We had to constantly ask to top up the glasses, meanwhile they would always top up table next to us. Waiters would not take the dirty plates fast enough, coffees were arriving slow and then they would forget to bring one coffee and would take ages. One waiter would forget something and then we would ask another waiter again. The quality of coffee was very bad, like water. The prosecco that was included in the brunch was not always the same and we would be topped up with different one, which is just not what you expect in a restaurant of this level. In the end we were overcharged on the bill. The drink some of us ordered was 12 euros on the menu, but they tried to charge 18. After confronting them they said it was an old menu and price is now higher. We refused to pay the difference. Another negative is that the staff only spoke english, which is unusual and annoying for locals that do not speak English. The pianist was playing nice music, so one of not many positives. The restaurant is trying to be classy and posh, but under delivers

Don’t even think about going there for a meal. Didn’t live up to the reputation of the hotel at all. The place was empty on a Friday night when we went there around 10pm and we had to walk around to find someone to get a table. Our waiter didn’t even have a smile on him and didn’t bother to even introduce the menu. He made us feel like we were a burden to them and I almost wanted to walk out but my parter wanted to try their food. And the food was NOT good at all. I had the scallops and prawns pasta which was very ordinary and the Duck my partner had was quite bland and boring. The chocolate cake desert was so dry and hard and had no character at all. The cream buley was served with fruits and a sorbet and it was such an unmatched confusion! The actual cream buley portion was so little and I was very upset. Kempinski needs to get the act together and hire a good chef with a creative mind and may be train their staff not only in service but social skills !

Nice coffee shop with cozy decoration, the staff are kind, cool and welcoming. The coffee is tasty. They have a terrace so you sit and chill. I went for the four starts just because of the croissant, you could do better with a real French croissant, but the rest is fine. The coffee is well located in the city and could get there from the old town in 10 minutes or less

I had a very disappointing experience. When I paid, they didn’t have change and told me to “go exchange it somewhere else.” I believe it’s their responsibility to handle payments properly and make sure customers are comfortable, but instead they made it inconvenient and unprofessional.

The Food was delicious, well seasoned and presented. Even tho the place was full when we arrived we got a table in a few minutes and the food didn’t take long. We had the cottage cheese pancakes with seasonal jam and the Benedict breakfast. The only thing I’d do next time be making a reservation.

After seeing Cafe Mimosa mentioned in almost every breakfast review before my trip to Riga, Latvia, I decided it had to be my first breakfast stop. My initial impression was positive, the simple, tasteful design gave it a better than average feel. I ordered their popular poached eggs with asparagus, as well as a poached egg on gravlax over a potato pancake. Both dishes were simply amazing in terms of taste and texture. That said, the portions were extremely small for real! We ended up ordering traditional pancakes just to avoid being hungry before starting our first long day exploring the city. I realize portion sizes in Riga are generally smaller, but it’s still worth mentioning! On the service side, I had to wait nearly 10 minutes for the bill before finally going to the counter to pay myself, as the request had been forgotten. For everything (the dishes above plus two regular coffees), the total came to €49! Overall, while the food was excellent, I’m not sure I’d recommend it to travelers on a tighter budget, given the portion sizes and overall value. I tried to make this review as honest as possible.

I stopped by for a last minute lunch. The interior was very pleasant and stylish, the staff were super friendly. Fantastic menu and food was served very quickly. I enjoyed every bite! Everything I ordered was delicious. I recommend oat porridge with coconut milk and cherry jam, this was the best. The alternative milk they had was Pea milk which is rare to find, well done. Highly recommend this place!

I loved the food quality and the way it was presented. Definitely worth taking pictures. The coconut porridge was good, but the portion was very small. The omelette is one of the best in town, in my opinion, but adding extra salmon and avocado makes it a bit pricey (17€+). Overall, it’s a lovely place with beautiful food and interior, but slightly overhyped.

I’ve been here twice. The interior is very stylish, and the location is convenient, close to the quiet center. Both times we came for breakfast, the place was fully packed, so it’s worth booking a table in advance to avoid waiting at the entrance. The first time, I tried the Eggs Benedict. Nothing special, though I was expecting more because of what my friends and the internet reviews said. The second time, I went for their chicken sandwiches - and those were truly unique and delicious. Everything came together perfectly: fresh cabbage, grilled chicken, spiciness, and a hint of sourness. It was simply magical. On the same day, I also tried my friend’s cottage cheese pancakes, and those were disappointing. They had a nice crispy crust on the outside, but the inside was slimy and runny. There are a lot of tables for such a small place, which sometimes makes it feel less cozy. I might come back again just for the sandwiches.

We had such a lovely time at Caffe Mimosa in Riga! 🥰 The place has a modern, fresh vibe that makes it perfect for a casual brunch or a relaxed meal in the city. It may seem an odd location but this is a great little find. Halfway between the airport and the proper city this road stop cafe is really useful. The pastries were fresh and tasty and the coffee was as good as anywhere else in Riga. Staff struggled with English a little but did their best to be helpful and everything came to handful of euros

This is such a beautiful, little restaurant especially when you’re surrounded by loud, touristy places. The food was fantastic, really fresh and the wait staff were super friendly and chatty and you could tell they liked their job. The downstairs outside seating area is tiny and it’s next to a hookah bar but they do have a roof terrace. It was closed because of a storm but I imagine it would be lovely up there.

We had a nice time sitting at the rooftop café in Riga’s Old Town. The place has seating on three levels: a bar on the first floor, restaurant tables on the second, and outdoor spots on the rooftop. Service was good and friendly. Recommend to visit.

I stumbled upon Lowine in Riga and am so glad I did! The staff were incredibly friendly and guided me through a wine tasting to help choose the perfect wine. I tried the avocado and salmon on sourdough was delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The ambience was lovely, and I would highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Riga.

While traveling through the Baltic Countries we started to notice behaviour and approach of service staff towards clients. In a book called “de Nomade” by Anja Niewierra we read of the homo sovieticus, lion set free but so condtioned by living in cages that trapped outside in a mental cage. The same we feel with service. The approach is so strange. No greetings, no welcoming words, just ignoring the client and even avoid eye contact. Conversation is kept to bare minimum. It will take generations to lose this no service approach. Let’s hope it will come, this kind of good food needs better and friendlier interaction by staff. Such a gorgeous stay, with such a warm atmosphere that we all felt right at home! The young receptionist, Inta, was an absolute sweetheart - so welcoming, attentive and incredibly professional. We travel a lot and this is honestly one of the best hotels we have been in to. We had one of the big appartments on the 5th floor, very modern, well decorated and very comfortable bed. The fridge also had some free alcoholic drinks waiting for us. We absolutely recommend this hotel, even the staff was nice. We will come back, definitely great value for money.

Breakfast has great variety and warm food cooked to order. Rooms are huge with kitchen, living room and a very comfortable bed which at the end of the day is what counts the most in a good hotel room. We booked this hotel a year in advance for a wedding, knowing it would be our first trip with a newborn. We chose and paid for a specific, spacious room with kitchen facilities, a microwave, and a lounge, as these were essential for travelling with a 2-month-old. Months before the trip, the hotel confirmed a cot, parking space, and facilities. Two days before our arrival, we were told the room was “no longer available” due to an error. The only alternative offered was a much smaller room with none of the promised facilities — no microwave for sterilising bottles, very limited kitchen space, and an awkward step that made using a pram difficult. With flights booked and the wedding the next day, we had no choice but to accept. Communication and service were poor. The manager who informed us of the issue did not follow up, staff were unhelpful, and the breakfast they offered as compensation was withdrawn partway through the stay. We also had to spend extra money locally to replace basic facilities we had booked in advance. This was meant to be a special trip, but it ended up being stressful, costly, and far below expectations. The handling of the situation fell well short of what any guest should expect.

Pls fix the internet in the rooms, it’s unacceptable in 2025 to have WiFi that is constantly dropping, lags out or just slow. Slightly dated, but all great other than that

Anyone who has ever tried real cacao ceremony in Bali will know how far this is from what is should be. The consistency is far (miles far away) from what is should be - very watery. Tastes like cacao powder with warm water. :( and all drinks are made only with oat milk. Sadly, no other options to choose from.

Definitely best cacao I have ever tried. It has specific taste/spice. Atmosphere was unique , and most of all best service by Kristina. She tells you history of cacao where it comes and how they made it. Also they have events each Thursday evening which you can come and enjoy musics (they post in Instagram). Original Cacao cost 4 eur at the moment and you can pay by card.But they have different kind of cacaos with fruits, etc … Will definitely go and try each of them.

Found this place online and it was advertised as a good place to have breakfast. We (2 p.) went there and tried a variety of options. The food was good and the few tables they had inside were full most of the time. Unfortunately the girl taking our order and serving the food was very sullen and wasn't very attentive.

Sandwich was full on with balsamic vinegar, not really possible to eat. The cottage cheese pancakes were delicious. The girls waiters were very friendly.

Croque Madame was dry and salty, cannot recommend it! The french breakfast was a bit better but there was no jam with the croissant and all in all it was comme ci comme ça..

Just stopped in for a cup of coffee and to do some work on my laptop. Cute enough interior and decent cappuccino-- coffee had a slightly burnt taste but otherwise good. Disappointed they had no Wifi-- surprised to see a coffee shop without Wifi. Friendly service!

Fine dining in a welcoming atmosphere is what you find at Elements. With a menu of many delicious plates made it difficult to chose for me and my friend when we had dinner here. The restaurant design is great at night with dim lighting making it feel intimate and relaxed. For starters I loved the tuna tartare with soba noodles sesame chips, tarragon jelly, and wasabi cucumber spaghetti, as it was fresh, tender and the wasabi added a spiciness that paired well with the fish. My friend chose the aged-beef carpaccio with rocket salad, homemade olive tapénade, grissini, and fresh grated cheese as her starter, saying the mix of tart tapenade and mature cheese were the perfect addition to the beef. For my main dish, I chose the duck breast truffle-flavoured mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, pickled onions, cherry sauce on a black rock grill. The filet melted in my mouth after I cooked it on the grill on the table, it was fun way to eat the duck. My friend went for the rack of lamb roasted-garlic mashed potatoes, plum chutney, herb almond crumbs and she was more than happy with her choice. For dessert, I just had to try the lemon lava cake caramelized meringue, chocolate soil, and dried raspberries, much better than the usual chocolate cake on offer. But the crushed pistachios, blackcurrant marshmallow, sea-buckthorn ice-cream, rhubarb, and vanilla sauce, I loved even more.

We had an excellent dinner at this restaurant! At first they send us a small appetizer for free which was very delicious. We also enjoyed our first and main course. Just be aware that the prices are higher than average and the size of the main course were not big. We were full after dinner but only because we had a first course before.

Brunch on Sundays. I left with a feeling that there is no clear vision as to what style of food should be served. There were spicy chicken wings and deep fried onion rings alongside quiche and quinoa salad. I get that you might want to please a wider audience, but many will be left confused. My omelette made by the chef was tasteless, octopus was chewy, ravioli were hard. I would think twice before going there again.

Tiger prawn and sea scallop broth with mussels, shitake mushrooms, green peas and onions was absolutely beatiful dish! Propably the best soup ever I've tasted! Also chocolade fondant was delicious...

Horrible industrial cappuccino full of foam and burnt coffee beans that they serve in a cardboard cup full of pride propaganda. Seating isn't very comfortable either and the staff look like they'd prefer to be somewhere else. These are all students who are not trained and are just there to kill time. The cappuccino was a fair price at €3.10, but I'd rather pay €5 and be able to recognise what it was. How are the coffee standards so brutally bad in Latvia. Avoid this place like the plague.

I remember Caffeine cafés as a very nice places. That still holds true largely. This visit however wasn't that pleasant. The service wasn't too nice in my opinion. Also, the coffee wasn't that good. I ordered flat white. Given the price (3.10€), this could have had at least some late-art. I got it in a paper cup, although I wanted to stay, sit and enjoy. They didn't ask. My overall feeling was as if they wanted to spend as little time on me as possible. But hey, it's still coffee. It wasn't so bad, just the overall experience was mediocre. The interior is very nice and centrally located.

Truly unforgettable. If you’ve ever wondered what a cold, dry, unbaked panini tastes like, this is your chance. Why bother using a grill when you can just slap some sad ingredients between two slices of bread and call it a day? Tables weren’t cleaned after previous guests, but hey — nothing sets the mood like someone else’s crumbs. As for the staff, they were easy to find… just look for the cloud of smoke outside.

Stumbled upon this cafe early morning, had been in once and had a latte to take out which had been lovely, smooth and not too strong. Had a second visit the following day and decided to stay in, had a large latte again, once again smooth and nice. Had some music playing in the background not too loud or quiet. Had some people in and they had left. Nice environment, very casual. Barista had spoken English which helps. Coffee between €1.90-€4.10 but goes to €4.90.

Since theres a construction infront of the caffeine the place is like sanctuary. When i arrived there, there was only two people: bartender and one customer. I ordered salted caramel macchiato and sat down. The coffee was amazingly made by the bartender like 10/10 never had better caramel macchiato. I stayed there for 1 hour and by the time only 3 locals came by so it was really nice that it was quiet all the time Definitely worth to visit just dont get crowded here to not destroy the quietness of this place 😉

Many choices for hot and iced coffees. Frappes also available and specials. Few choices of sweet and savory items. From savory they offer stuffed croissants and quiches and on sweet side there are few cakes, pastries and cookies. Would have expected more choices. Coffee was good but they oversugared it. Muffin was dry but croissant tasty. It is super busy in there but atmosphere quite cozy. Servers should know English better as one if them did not understand what was ordered, it is central location and people working there should know basics. Overall good for coffee and quick bite.

The coffee is great. I think the coffee art is pretty too. They are enough space to find a nice seat. The decoration is quite cozy took. My favorite is the carrot cake, it’s very tasty! Everything were better than Starbuck. Now it’s my favorite place to get my coffee especially during cold days.

Even though the food was alright(average) and the place is almost clean, the service was terrible! The cashier has been very rude to us, and it made our visit way worse. Rolling her eyes and talking back was very impolite of her and I hope the administration does something to change that.

Tried the lunch offer — and it was a real mix of highs and lows. The pumpkin soup was awful: watery, bland, and without any real taste or spices. Honestly felt like blended pumpkin water — probably the worst soup I’ve had in a while. But the honey cake completely saved the meal — soft, moist, and full of flavor. Absolutely delicious!

This place has a great atmosphere outdoors during the summer weather. Waiter was nice. Food was ok quality, but expected a bit better for this price. Serving not the quickest one. No parking available, some crossovers were parked on a curb. Just one toilet available.

A lovely calm space just outside Old Town, away from all the hustle of the tourist centre. Fabulous food served at a calm pace, with attentive and polite staff. The garden area is beautiful, as is the interior space. It was easily reached from Old Town by the regular and efficient bus service. We are so glad we tried it!

I will be completely honest bout this place and experience. We waited 1 and half hour for our main course. You couldn’t catch the staff attention for another drink if your life depended on it . The food is nothing special at all. The prices are outrageous. Here you have it. And they push it on you to leave a tip In a very slick way.

I have ordered before via Wolt sausages, pelbmeni, soups, fresh meat, this time I tried some of their marinate meats, really tasty, fresh, not salty like all other stores are marinating, these marinates are high quality on fresh meat, of course, price is higher than standard but it's worth. It’s unbelievably delicious here. Probably the best place for foodies in Riga. It’s far from where I live, in a very center, but it definitely worth driving. It’s a high end buffet with a huge variety of food. Soups, salads, appetizers, meat, fish, deserts, berry drinks and much more. You also can get bread and pastries here.

I’d been wanting to come here for the whole time I’ve been in Latvia. I pass it on the bus and the window displays are awesome. The Christmas window was so impressive, so I’ve always been intrigued by it. Today I went for coffee and cake and wasn’t disappointed. What an amazing delicatessen it is. The cakes are out of this world with an amazing array of colours and mirror glaze work. This place really has the WOW factor and needs to be visited. I’m a vegetarian, but I did pop my head into the butcher’s section for my husband and he would be very happy to visit here. The breads look fabulous too. My cake was so stunning, but very rich to manage the whole lot, but I gave it a good go, it’s delicious! Definitely worth 5 stars.

However, on our second visit they gave us regular cream cheese instead of vegan cream cheese so just be super careful when placing your order. Would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for this mistake. We took it back to our accommodation to eat so it was too late to let them know.

Absolutely amazing selection of bagels. Highly recommend you try this place. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options to! Reasonable prices. My favorite was the Vegetarian in Barbados!! It is quite crowded in the mornings, took my order to go and ate at the hotel.

This is a small sandwich shop serving everything on a bagel. The food is great and reasonably priced. There isn't a lot of seating so it can get crowded during peak times but it's definitely worth it. I had the BLT and it was delicious. And they were kind enough to hold the mustard and cheese, which came standard.

By far this is the greatest café I have ever had the joy of being in. Everything is truly great and at a reasonable price. Usually breakfast is available from 8-11am and its divine (try the porridge you won't be disappointed) and lunch each day from 12pm. Breakfast menu doesn't change but each day there are different deserts and a lunch menu. The staff is incredibly friendly. The atmosphere is cute and not pretentious in any way. Though above all I must commend their standards, I've been going there daily for months now and not once have I been disappointed by anything. In my humble opinion this is a must visit in Riga. :))

Me and my wife went there for breakfast on my birthday after a recommendation from our relatives and it really was a place to start a birthday well. Food was delicious and portions were good size and variety too. The buratta dish was extensive as these things tend to be, but the rest was great! Fair 4.3 Place has a good type of coffee and nice warriaty of sweet waffles. However, I was a bit disappointed with the size of sour waffles itself, 3 pieces seemed to be a small portion compared with sweet waffle size. Also I would like to see an option for a waffle with the "kick". Add some siraccha source and a bit of lime's zest in the dipping along with salmon, and we have a really nice option to try. Don't stop improving sour waffles 🧇

Absolutely loved Pipa Wafels! The waffles are super fresh — crispy on the outside, soft and warm inside, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality ingredients. The coffee is excellent too — rich, smooth, and perfectly made. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a modern touch that makes it a great spot to relax or catch up with friends. The staff are friendly and clearly care about what they do. Definitely one of my new favorite places in Riga for a sweet treat and good coffee! ☕🧇

My favourite waffle spot in Riga! They serve just waffles and drinks, but you need nothing more than that. The Belgium waffles with salted caramel are the ones to die for... My guiltiest and tastiest pleasure on weekly basis 😅. The cheese waffles (if you haven't tried it yet) are something you will never forget... This place is a foodie hidden gem! I love them from the very beginning 4-5 years ago and I think I will love them forever 😍

Quiet and spacious cafe with a more or less nice menu and different food options. We were not very lucky with the cakes that time, since it seemed they never bake them at the place but just buy some factory ones, so we decided to have a salad, which was delicious and fresh (so fresh, that I also found a cute little spider in a bowl, haha, but I did not care much about it being there). Bonus star for the coffee which was of a good quality. Surely I would not sit in again but I think I might pick up some take away coffee from there one day.

Very good service, went there with a large group and they were very accommodating. The coffee ( trusted Illy) and food were both great. They had lots of different breakfast options, from pastries to traditional curd cheese pancakes.

During our 2 week stay in Riga, this was breakfast most mornings. Huge menu options, great coffee, great service. One morning we tried another place, the ndxt morning we were bacm. A good choice.

A small cafe on a corner that is very comfy. The staff is young, speak excellent English and helped me order. The place has some table to sit down and is stylish and clean. The white chocolate drink was very tasty but the chocolate cake I got felt kind of processed, not so much a cake and more like a slab of condensed chocolate; it wasn't bad, but it was a 3/5 max. The drink was a solid 4 though. Honestly it has a very chill vibe to it and the fact that I stopped by on a rainy day made it even comfier.

I’m not sure what people rating this place highly are focusing on but I think it could be the atmosphere/interior rather than the coffee. I ordered a large americano, large referring only to the size of the cup, and asked for only half the amount of water so it would be stronger. I also asked the friendly staff member/barista about the taste of one of the few cakes available. I couldn’t get an answer about the cake and just ordered the coffee as described above. Rather than a cup of good strong coffee I got the large cup so full of thin almost tasteless coffee. I managed getting the thing down to the unstable table without spilling much but after another customer bumped into the table and spilled a lot on the table. After cleaning up I lost interest in the coffee and did the boring part of some photo editing. I decided that I might as well find another place to have coffee and finish the photos, because Latvia has so many great places where they make good coffee. Despite the coffee and the mystery cake I skipped on, I rate this place 2 out of 5 for the nice music they played 🎵

Staff barely knows how to say 'hello', 'thank you', and 'youre welcome'. The young man just stared into their smartphone during most of our interaction.. Coffee is okay, but not great.

Are you looking for morning coffee and some nice, freshly baked sweetness? Or quick pizzalike food? Just a perfect morning start could be at this place when city is still sleeping and lazy, you sit there at the side of one of the busiest streets in Riga, but the street is just having a day off, because its saturday morning. People passing by, but there is no rush in their faces. You sit there and enjoy your first sips of coffee and start a day with a bite of one of their tasty cakes. It feels like a perfect combination for urban environment. And even if you are short on money, here you can get something with 50% off. Yes, that stuff is from yesterday. But yesterday was just few hours ago and everything feels fresh anyway. All together what is displayed on my table cost me just 3 something euro. And tasted amazing.

Tasty buns, reasonable price for the size of buns.

A place that looks very fancy and cozy from the outside. Actually very aesthetic, so my friends and I wanted to give it a try and visited. The first weird thing happened before we even entered this place: The door was locked. Shortly after that, it was opened by a very angry and unmotivated woman (who was obviously employed there). We took our orders, and that process of us taking our orders made this very employee even angrier, even though we were friendly and uncomplicated towards her. Our order consisted of two eclaires two hot chocolates and - as far as I remember - a coffee. I can not complain about the fact that we did receive them very quickly. We sat down about a minute after our order, in a very comfortable corner. Then we, of course, had to try the ordered products. The eclaires were drier than the Sahara desert, filled by a fairly weird cream that at least did taste good. One of my friends was especially shocked, being a skilled baker herself. The hot chocolate was okay, I would give it 3.6 stars, not the best, but not very bad either. However, we did not stay in there for very long due to the angry employee who gave the entire place a very unpleasant atmosphere. Luckily, the door was not locked when we got out, so the need of having one more potential interaction with this person was abolished. In short: If the staff was in a better mood, it would be an absolutely enjoyable place, despite the dry eclaires!

It's small bakery and baked goods shop, very cosy. Prices are very reasonable and the products are freshly baked in the same shop.
