Really enjoyed my visit here. The service is very friendly and the coffee tastes great. They have a good vegetarian breakfast selection and also a nice choice of cakes. You can sit both inside and outside, and the modern interior makes it a cozy and stylish place to relax. A good spot whether you’re coming for breakfast or just for a coffee break. The porridge was ok, though it could have used a bit more fruit on top and was surprisingly firm to the bite for porridge. The avocado with egg was also fine, but not particularly overwhelming.

Lunch offer. Salad + soup = 8.50 €. Very light, not filling. Mango Marakuja cake 5 euro, taste 6/10.

Visited for breakfast and this place is a must-go in Riga!! Food was insanely delicious and service is top! Ordered the potato pancakes with chia caviar, and tofu salad for mains. Matcha latte for a drink, and a pistachio tart...which was heaven on the lips! Vegetarian place and these were all vegan options. Sat in the outside area as the weather was lovely.

Amazing food. After long deliberation i chose jackfruit 🌮 tacos..wow!! Side order of Nachos. My friend had mushroom burger and sweet potatoe fries...good choice all round..we took home a nutty 'snickers' bar' and a chocolate coconut bar...yum 🙌

visited for breakfast on our first day in Riga and glad we did. plenty of food options with allergens clearly listed which was helpful for me with a milk allergy. coffee and match a both high quality and delicious. staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very disappointing omelette, almost inedible from being so intensely greasy. Side salad was mostly frisee, which is good, yet makes for a very bare salad, especially with the cucumber sliced so thinly. Service was dull and sullen and I left with a queasy stomach. Grapefruit juice, at least, was fine. Was expecting much better from a place that touts being healthy.

Such a charming retro café in the old town, right next to a church in a very picturesque spot. The interior is full of vintage touches and funny quotes on the walls that give it a lot of character, with 60s–70s music playing to match the vibe. We visited on a rainy day and it was the perfect cozy place to enjoy our coffee. A great choice if you’re looking for something warm and atmospheric in Riga.

Location and vibes are very suggestive, prices are on the high side 5€ for a hot chocolate and 4.50€ for a hot tea. Haven’t tried any food but they have a selection of cakes at the entrance (not sure about gluten free or vegan options). It is a nice cafe to pass by for an afternoon tea or when it is cold outside.

Romantic & Calm Vibe at an Affordable Price! We absolutely loved the cozy, romantic atmosphere. We tried the Royal Auglu Tea, Carrot Cake, and Irish Coffee , all were superb! The carrot cake stood out with a balanced flavor, not too sweet, just right . The staff provided great service, making the experience even better. Definitely worth a visit!

The prices are for sure on the higher end (27eur for 2 cakes, 2 coffees and 1 non-alcoholic cocktail as of October 2025, in other places in Riga you would pay 15ish EUR for that amount at the moment). However, the prices are fully justified here you pay also for the quality, atmosphere and good service. Both lime and chocolate cakes were very fresh and nicely balanced in terms of sweetness, chocolate one was our favorite - the combination of ingredients in that was very intriguing and something I've never seen anywhere else (positively). Coffee was aromatic. Amazing service upon our visit on 07.10.25 during the evening - we arrived with flowers and the employee offered and provided a vase for the time of our visit. Kindly told us about each available cake. Waiting time for the order was not long at all. Atmosphere is very warm and cosy with attention to each details. This is a place you will want to return again.

Parunāsim kafe'teeka, located in Riga’s lovely Old Town, describes itself as the most romantic coffee shop in town and I think I can see why. I visited on September 2nd, 2025, during my second day in the city as part of our Baltics tour. The design, seating, and overall atmosphere are so charming that the place almost invites you in on its own. They offer a wide selection of cakes and beverages, and with its calm, quiet environment, it’s the perfect spot to take a break and recharge in the middle of a long day exploring the Old Town. Highly recommended to everyone visiting the old town!!

I still have the first memory of coming to this cafe last year January, on a very cold winter. Everything seemed so lifeless and gray in Latvia until I found this place. The smell of croissants and coffee and very nice music that goes along with the atmosphere completely changed the mood of my day. Not just pastries and salad are good, but also the cakes are demuring. I personally recommend the traditional cake Napoleon. I have tried in many different cafes in Latvia to compare the taste. However, none of them has won over Kūkotava yet. The locals have known this place since long, while nowadays many tourists come as well to enjoy brunch or dessert after a meal. Hope you go and give yourself a nice treat. Never bad to start a day with a sweet cake and a warm coffee🍰☕️

I’ve always loved the sweets from this place — everything I’ve tried before has been delicious. That’s why I was so excited to visit the new branch on Antonias 11. Unfortunately, this time I was really disappointed. The pastry I tasted was rubbery, as if it had been baked days ago, and the lemon cream had no lemon flavor or aroma at all. Sadly, it felt like money wasted(

During our trip, we kept coming back to this place — both to their dessert shop and their gourmet deli. The desserts are absolutely wonderful, and the deli is perfect if you’re looking for a quick but delicious lunch or light dinner. They have amazing salads with avocado, shrimp, tuna, or duck, plus tasty quiches and many other options. The coffee is excellent as well. It’s a lovely spot to sit both indoors and outdoors when the weather is nice. We stayed nearby for three days and ended up visiting every single day — and even grabbed some snacks to take home with us. Prices are very reasonable, and whether you’re in the mood for something sweet, savory, or just a little bite to go, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Exceptional Croissant in the City Centre — France, Step Aside In the first paragraph, the heart is secure, free to love, and the rest is limitless peace. That’s exactly how I felt biting into this croissant — in the middle of the city, yet completely transported. Forget Paris or Rome. This almond croissant was filled with rich, authentic almond paste — the kind you’d find in an elegant wedding cake, not the diluted stuff served across most of Europe. Baked to perfection: crisp shell, tender center, no excess butter or raw chewiness. The coffee? Strong, rich, and full of personality. A proper roast that lingers. Only downside? The service. When I asked for soy milk, I got a blunt “no” with no follow-up. No smile. No suggestion. For a city full of tourists, that moment lacked grace. Still — for the pastry alone, it’s a must. Pure craftsmanship in the city centre. France, tapisols.

Absolutely loved Kūkotava! The salads were super fresh and full of flavour, and the pastries were just incredible! Every dish looked and tasted amazing. Definitely one of my favourite finds in Riga!

Visited this place for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the honey cake was as well as coffee. The place is conveniently located near the Vermanes park where I went after for a short stroll to burn calories:) The only thing is that music could be a bit quieter as we had to raise our voice to hear each other

this place makes the tastiest napoleon cake i’ve ever had! i’m definitely coming back. edit: i came back. their caramel cinnamon roll is also really tasty—however personally i would not recommend the pistachio one.

This place has an amazing atmosphere, with a beautiful interior and a warm, cozy vibe. I especially appreciated the indie pop/rock music playing in the background, it created a relaxed and enjoyable mood as I had my late breakfast and flat white. One of the highlights was the open workspace, where you can watch the staff baking fresh pastries and bread. It added a nice, authentic touch to the experience. The coffee was of good quality, though the cup was a bit on the small side. The food was delicious, I particularly loved the salted pastry with tomato and mozzarella, which was both flavorful and satisfying. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our coffees arrived very quickly, which we appreciated. We paid 24 euros for three pastries and two flat whites. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but considering the quality, atmosphere, and service, it felt well worth it. A very enjoyable experience overall.

Most of pastries in this bakery are sweet, so if you want a savoury one, I would not recommend. At my first visit I got poppy seed croissant roll. It was pretty good but kinda boring. There were not much poppy seeds in the pastry. 7/10. The second time I was there I got pistachio croissant. It was very sweet. The filling was upsetting - it was not creamy, more like homemade icing (I could feel sugar crystals). So, if you are not into really sweet things, I wouldn’t recommend. 6/10. Service and atmosphere is excellent. Pretty busy both times I was here, but that’s not a problem for me.

Very nice, clean, and modern bakery with high-quality baked goods and drinks. The price is perhaps on the slightly high-end, but it is worth it for the quality that you get. There are also separate male/female toilets available at the cafe.

Coeliac safe, gluten free bakery serving up truly delicious baked savoury and sweet goods. FOOD: Great variety of flans, tarts, rolls, slices and bread rolls. They also sell uncooked gluten free pasta you can take away. They have water for free. Popular items like their cinnamon scroll sell out earlier in the day. The ingredients are of high quality and the items have plenty of filling. SEATING: In and outdoor seating available, more suited to groups of 2-4 than 8+. There is a step up, so it's not super wheelchair/walker friendly inside. STAFF: Really lovely, joyous and attentive staff who are passionate about what they do. OVERALL: Highly recommend and will be back! Plus your yellow purpose-built seating outside is just a gorgeous piece of artwork too! Thanks!

Had a very disappointing experience here. Came to buy a birthday cake for my friend who is gluten free, when we got there the woman was clearly angry that we were there. She told us we couldn’t sit down on the seats outside as she was closing in 40 minutes, we asked if we could sit outside until then and she said no. She tried putting the cake in a bag and we asked if we could have it in a box as we’d brought candles and she kept telling us they don’t have many boxes. Eventually she gave us a box after explaining again it was for a friends birthday. After all that, the pastries were dry and without much flavour.

I had an absolute blast at this place during my stay in Riga. The GF buns and pastries were divine, I couldn’t resist coming back not once, but three times! If you’re Celiac, don’t bother searching for a gluten-free bakery. Just ask your GPS to take you to this place, and you’ll be in for a treat!

100% gluten free bakery Bread was really good I recommend the cinnamon roll with mascarpone and Philadelphia topping, and the sandwich with mortadella. Only negative is that they don’t have nothing to heat your food so if you eat in house you might eat your slice of pizza cold (it was still very good).

Stopped by after lunch for some sweet desert and a latte. I tired the Citrona Kücina and expect it to have a hint of sour of lemon but instead the yellow jelly layer was very rubbery and stretchy. Overall, it’s ok but did not expect to eat rubber band. The latte is ok but very light on the coffee side.

If you like great food at a reasonable price, the central market is waiting for you. SO MUCH FOOD! Everything was fresh and was as alluring to the nose as it was to the palate. So much variety, you will hardly know where to start. It's even fun if you're not hungry... just walk around and take it all in. Definitely recommend!

I visited Riga Central Market, and it was such a vibrant experience. The market is huge and full of life you can find just about everything here, from fresh flowers and local foods to meats, cheeses, spices, and handmade goods. It’s a great place to discover authentic Latvian flavors and everyday life. The market is set inside historic old Zeppelin hangars, which gives it a unique and impressive atmosphere. Each pavilion specializes in different products, making it easy to explore and sample a wide variety of items. I especially enjoyed seeing the fresh produce stands and traditional Latvian treats. It’s not just a place to shop—it’s also a cultural experience, perfect for walking around, tasting, and soaking in the local vibe. Nice and quick lunch spot in the gastronomy market they have different restaurants where you can have local food and buy local cheeses and souvenirs. A nice quick stop in the city. Haven’t take any picture of the dumplings but they were very good.

Great place to sample the local food. There are plenty of fruit and veg stalls, flower stalls and clothing stalls as well as a food market inside. They sell all the traditional dishes for extremely reasonable prices so a great way to eat like the locals. It’s a vibrant, buzzing area that’s definitely worth a visit.

This place is just HUGEEEE! Lots of different departments, one for fruit, veg, others for meat, fish. cheese, deserts. All different ranges and prices depending on who you buy from. Some prices get cheaper along the way. There is a food department where you can eat lots of food again, depends where you want to eat and what you want to eat. But it is so big you’ll definitely leave with something. Clothes also. We walked here as we seen it was difficult to get parking 🅿️ There was a dumping food stall that was just … beautiful 😍 it’s hard to get a seat because in the food area lots of people are piled up.

A very wide assortment of articles on offer in the five former zeppelin hangars and at stall outside. Numerous local specialities at sensible prices. The fish names were especially confusing. Just a short walk from the train station and bus stops.

If you want to get away from the tourists and enjoy a typical local restaurant visited by locals, then this is where you want to be. Along with the most friendly resident dog, the service is warm and friendly, the food is really good and the wine great. Reasonably priced and away from the tourist traps. A fantastic way to spend a wet Sunday afternoon. Highly recommended.

Great food in a very relaxed atmosphere, with super helpful and gentle service from Annetta. The beef cheeks were amazing with comforting mash and the caramelised apple pie with pistachio ice cream was something else. Come here if you want great, but unfussy food, in a relaxed environment.

Had an amazing char risotto, the service was also very attentive, maybe because the place isn't overrun by tourists. Despite being a bit outside Riga's Old Town, the place is incredibly welcoming to tourists. English menus were available, and the staff spoke perfect English fluently. Sitting in the outdoor area behind the restaurant and enjoying dinner during one of those famously long Baltic summer evenings was a great experience. Highly recommended for anyone willing to take the 10 minute tram ride from the city center, its worth it to get a more culinary local vibe.

I would say it it THE BEST coffee shop in Riga. It always full and there’re few reasons for this. There are few options of beans for espresso. I choose Ethiopia beans with fruity and sour taste. Next time I will try another option. Also, would be great to ask for different water proportions and grinding. I like 1 to 2 water proportion, it should make it less sour. My friend’s late art 🖼️ was beautiful 🤩 I wish see any other late art themes by request or pay 💰 Panini with chicken was very tasty. The right size. Cool place to have a coffee! It is also possible to work, many people does. I got the batch brew from Brazil but I wasn’t very impressed, the tones I got was reminder the vinegar most. It is a personal taste as well I am sure that they have other coffee beans more suitable to my taste. Mozzarella sandwich with rye bread was great though. Also the staff is very nice and helpful, they let me try also the other batch of the from Tanzania (which I also also didn’t like much because it has the citrus tones). I would recommend if you are in the neighbourhood. This is one of the best cafes in the town..

I wasn’t really a coffee person, but man, this place literally changed me! Great coffee, pastries as well as other drinks and foods. Plenty of seats, super welcoming staff and atmosphere, you can see the guys making your sandwich, roasting your coffee, location is among the best streets in the city. I loveeeee this place! Found this small cafe accidentally during our walk through the old city Riga. The atmosphere is nice and elegant. Too bad they have small space, because it’s basically always full during our stay. I hope they will extent the place. Cruffin is crispy on the outside and soft fluffy on the inside. We took the pistachio, and I love that the filling is not too sweet. I personally usually don’t like this kind of filling because it’s always too sweet and thick. But that’s not the case for this one. That’s why I really love it. They even have matcha and prosecco at the same time. Perfect! And the lady is nice.

The atmosphere of the place is truly pleasant and nicely designed, with a wide selection of cakes that look very tempting at first glance. However, the impression was somewhat diminished by the service – the staff was not particularly friendly, and the cappuccino was served too hot, which didn’t leave the best impression. Among the pastries, I would highlight the cheese rolls, which were very tasty and worth recommending, while the bacon rolls fell short of expectations. Overall, the café has potential and a good selection, but the quality of service could certainly be improved

The place offers a variety of different options, from pastries to salad cakes. Quality of food is king here, we tried 7 different types of cakes, and we were so impressed by the taste. This place is a gem, must be visited and try anything inspires you.

Everything looked really tasty, and I had a hard time choosing what to eat. I picked a cake with the poppy seeds. It was delicious and not too sweet. In the end I decided to get a cherry tart to go. Now I'm sorry I didn't get a strudel, so I'm definitely coming back.

Convenient location, pastries are passable only, they look better than they taste. Unfortunately, the service is terrible. The staff behind the counter is frankly rude. They ignore you and are completely uninterested in answering questions about the pastries. Coffee is overpriced, they charge almost €5 for a small cup of coffee with milk. I do not recommend.

Ordered a latte. Even though I was told a cappuccino and a latter are the same price... I got a cappuccino! Very expensive hot milk with a slight coffee flavour... in the heart of Old Town. Won't come back ever

We skipped dessert in the lunch restaurant only to get cake there after a recommendation. It was absolutely worth it. The cakes are simply delicious and not too sweet. Also the coffees were amazing.

Assumption is the mother of all mistakes. I got here, got some coffee and pointed to two different buns. One plain and one with blueberries. Or do I thought, basing it on what I saw. Got the coffee, sat down and… the plain bun was stuffed with bacon. Went to the blueberry one, but that was filled with what I think was some kind of olive mix. Can’t blame the proprietors for my mistake. But it was a mistake for sure. At least the coffee was fine 🙃

Wanted breakfast and most places don't open to till early but stumbled into this shop which opens at 730am lucky for me. I didn't know what to order and went for galas, and after I took a bite I realized it was filled with meat 🙃. It was chicken after I enquired, they also have cheese and spinach. The chicken one and the cheese one tasted lovely and they were still warm as they were freshly baked. Apparently the oldest bakery in Latvia. The coffee in the other hand was just OK. Lots of seating.

One of my favorite bakeries I've visited! So many different sweet and savory pastries. My favorite one was the Cinamon pastry. The seating was also very comfortable and nice and also very affordable prices for such a good quality.

A nice cozy place to sit and get breakfast, brunch or snack at. Since it is not a café but a bakery, the coffee isn't great, but the pastries and cakes (also some specifically Latvian ones) are absolutely delicious, so I do recommend. :)

Today 19/06/25 the women worked in this Martina Bekereja try to earn more money 🤑 than the actual price of the products we bought. She charged us more items than the one's we bought. We came back and she didn't even say sorry... Very bad behaviour..... She thought that she is more clever than us...

The food here is delicious, the menu is pretty small and there is not much choice but what they do have is very nice. The waiter was rushing us with everything despite the restaurants being almost empty. What i enjoyed most is the atmosphere - it is a very cozy vibe and has a very aesthetic interior which is perfect to have good conversations.

8/10 Very interesting experience, me and my girlfriend came in off the street as we didn't know where to eat today. We where immideatly greeted by the waiter and sat down. As we got the menus I was delighted by the rich selection of food. The only problem was that the waiter kept bugging us and coming every other minute asking if we are ready to order again and again. We felt really rushed, this was a pattern throughout our experience, the waiter was very pushy. The food was absolutely amazing, although I don't recommend this for picky eaters the foods all have very very rich and flavourful tastes. A culinary experience but I can't say I'm eager to come back. Overall I would definitely recommend. :)

Fortuidously stumbled across this place while searching for "restaurants near me", what a divine inspiration it was. The food was incredible. Casper is a lovely human being and fabulous waiter. He provided recommendations and took very good care of us. Most respect to the Chef, you could tell from his food that he is passionate about what he does. We had the Burrata, the Civiche, the Pasta a Potato Pancake and the Strawberry Mousse with Olive Oil marinated Rhubarb. Wow! We'll definitely be back. Delightful service, exquisite food, cozy atmosphere. 💗🍴🙌🏼

Our small group went here for supper the other evening. We visited this restaurant quite some time ago and looked forward to our return. We were greeted kindly by staff and seated near the bar - comfy seats. The waiter took our drink and starters order and had them to our table very quickly. Both the antipasti plate and buratta were very good. We ordered our mains and enjoyed a few drinks while waiting. The waiter (also our bartender) was very friendly. He was suggesting drinks to suit our tastes and took time to explain how they were made. When our mains came out, the first thing to notice was the care taken for the presentation - they looked great. My risotto was rich and delicious, with the rice done perfectly. How good was it? Others at the table ordered one to share after their meal hahahaha. My wife's steak was cooked perfectly and tasted great. I would have to say everything was perfect at this point. The dessert choices were not quite what we were expecting. The chocolate chip cookie was a bit hard (almost like biscotti). The peanut butter cookie was good. I did order one of their main dessert selections - the Rhubarb Mousse. It was definitely something different - just not quite what I was expecting. Overall, this evening out was a great meal. The atmosphere, the food, the drinks, and service were great. Thanks for a great meal.

I visited this restaurant for lunch after reading several positive reviews, and I have to admit, the ambiance did make a good first impression. The interior is nicely decorated, with comfortable seating that creates a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the reputation. I ordered the rabbit leg, which was completely lacking in seasoning and felt bland overall. The portion size was quite small compared to the price, making it feel overpriced for what was offered. The coffee I had afterward was also disappointing… Just average at best. On top of that, the staff didn’t come across as friendly or welcoming, which added to the underwhelming experience. Overall, I left surprised at how different my visit was compared to the glowing reviews I’d read beforehand. The ambiance is lovely, but the food and service definitely didn’t match the hype.

Small place with inside/outside seating (outside seating consists of 3 tables). It has low-lighting and cozy chairs creating an intimate atmosphere. There was only one waitress and she was hustling the entire time attending to every table. She was very polite, warm and accommodating. Having said this, I was felt rushed - not because she was busy - but because that is the vibe here. As for the food, I was not impressed. The edamame barely had any salt so I was essentially eating plain steamed edamame - no flavor just texture. The tuna tartare was unimpressive. The sweet potato puree was cold tasteless as was the tuna as it was thickly sliced and therefore the center was refrigerator-cold atop the cold puree and pesto. The highlight of this place for me was the relaxed vibe and cozy space. I would not recommend.

This place is great, whether you want a quick bite or a full meal. The food was served very quickly. Prices are really low, but that might only seem that way with my Western European knowledge. Staff speaks English very well.

BBQ mini and Gheto Burger with french Fries - top quality, tasty and very good looking. Servis is 5+ stars. Very nice and friendly crew. Beer served with good temperature - recomend Madonas non filtered one! Looking forward to get back again!

Delicious! Had pulled pork burger and kids had chicken sliders and everything was great! French fries are huge. Coffee is excellent as well. Not the cheapest of places but definitely worth it.

Wow! This is a great find! Very quaint and cozy with all the feels of the early 20th century charm. From fine China and silverware to the music and ambiance. Oh, and the place specializes in , well, crumble cakes! We tried the warm rhubarb, chocolate raspberry, original (apple), and lemon cheesecake. The espresso is amazing as well. Come try this place when in Riga!

Cute little coffee with hot or cold crumble cake. The service is awesome and the 2 ladies are super helpful in explaining the concept and incredients of the cakes. You may need to be lucky to have a sit because it is small. The cakes were good :) relaxing atmosphere with jazz music

Fun concept as the staff explain the options from hot or not (heated in an oven). I went for the signature which was slightly warmed and sat in the back room with a Cortado…with some easy jazz playing!! Nice place, great coffee and cakes… what isn’t there to like!!!

The first thing that strikes you about this place isn't actually the cakes - it's the kindness of the staff. They were so friendly throughout my visit, that I'd happily go back again. Oh, and the cake and coffee weren't bad either - and there are many more to try!

I was wandering through Old Riga when the smell of fresh cake pulled me straight into Crumble Cake, and I’m so glad it did! I had their signature apple and cinnamon crumble with an americano, and it was incredible. Not too sweet, full of flavor (just wished for a hint more cinnamon). The coffee was spot on, and the cozy vibe made me want to stay longer. A true hidden gem! Special thanks to the two lovely hosts. Their welcoming and warm attitude is a huge plus.

Cozy Breakfast Spot with Room to Improve A lovely place for breakfast with friendly service. The Francis omelet and avocado toast with mozzarella were delicious, beautifully presented, and made with quality ingredients. The American pancakes, although visually appealing, were very tough—so firm it was hard to cut them with a knife. Still, a nice spot overall, but the kitchen has some room to improve. 🍳🥑🥞

So far the best place in Riga's centre to have coffee (and work in my case)! Very nice and attentive staff, cozy atmosphere, soft music, and good coffee. Nice place for breakfast or lunch, as here you can find much bigger variety than in a usual coffee shop. Highly recommended!

This place serves the best coffee I have had in Riga (so far, at least). The menu is accessed via QR code, which seems to be quite common here, but I expect there are other ways to order if you don't have a smartphone. The food was good (although there were no potatoes, and I love potatoes), and the atmosphere was great. The staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English.

Innocent Café was a decent stop for breakfast in Riga. The food leans more towards an American-style breakfast, and while nothing too unique, both the dishes and the coffee were tasty.

Although coffee is a bit expensive, 1€ extra for alternative milk this place is a gem. Waitresses are really friendly and food is awesome. I had a tunna sandwich for breakfast and then the daily menu which is only 7.99€ . Highly recommendable.

So we went on A date with lady on the special week we have here in Rīga, called Rīgas Restaurant Week. 3 course 40€ per person, they just had A new chef who prepared something new on well know things, made with lots of flavours, spices and love. As we took different things, we could try everything, and let me tell you this - this was a surprise! Such an amazing combo of great food, atmosphere, great staff, chef who came with each dish and we had the chance to ask about flavours and so on. Our server was such a warm and professional person. Will definitely come for the ala carte. Recommend for sure!

The food is interesting and different, but the atmosphere has changed — it’s just not the same spot it used to be. Surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night, with a rather weak vibe. I went there during the lucky hour on a Tuesday. it was quite empty, however it's a working day, so no surprise! the bartender was super helpful in making the crucial decision aka the drink. also the menu is very cool with the graph (you have to visit to know what I'm talking ab). and he brought water, which is always good.

Incredible waffles and tip top bar! Reservations are required for brunch but worth the trouble for truly all you can eat waffles. Definitely a must for Rīgas and visitors.

Some great, flavourful food. Great selection for vegetarians but also carnivores will appreciate the rich flavor of the meals. Staff is friendly, positive, cheerful. It is on a grey streetside so you may walk past it but I recommend stopping by.

Kozy Eats is an absolute gem in Riga. The vegan food is not only lovely but also beautifully presented, with clear care and creativity in every dish. We visited Kozy Eats on two occasions, and both visits were a real treat. Each time, my husband and I spent around €80/€90.

A cozy donut shop in the Art Nouveau Quarters of Riga. I ordered a cappuccino and two donuts, caramel, and hazelnut. Both donuts were incredibly delicious, soft, and paired perfectly with my coffee.

The donuts tasted like store-bought, or even worse. Some parts were dry, others seemed undercooked. There was no filling inside; the only flavor came from the glaze, which had a distinctly chemical taste and way too much sugar. The overall impression was like someone spread something sweet on un-toasted white toast bread. Donuts from Rimi or Lidl are much tastier and cheaper. I used to like this place few years ago, but resent experience was disappointing.

This place is amazing and if you like donuts you should check it out. The service was great, the worker behind the counter was really nice and helpful. It was pretty cheap, especially for the quality, the donuts were tasty and soft and you could tell they were fresh, and the cappuccino was one of the best I’ve had in Latvia and it was cheaper than other places. The location is central and if you sit by the window you can enjoy the Art Nouveau buildings.

I arrived 15 minutes before closing time and was able to grab the last few flavours(strawberry/lemon). They were really delicious, and I think I only paid 2.70€ No pictures, though, because I ate them all immediately! The staff was super nice and polite :)

The cafe was completely empty and the waitress still couldn’t clean any tables. I ordered a tea and it was ok, the cup was really big which I liked, but the service- no hello or goodbye, just - what you want. Also I was sitting on the couch and it was too low to eat something

Best donut shop in Latvia. Here you can find a large choice of different and tasty donuts. Cafe has it's own style, with colorful taste. Greate place to go with kids, as they have a lot of board games, or just to drink a coffee while working. And also one of the rare place where you can find staff with positive attitude and a smile on their face.

Very much recommended. Quality is top and prices are reasonable. First had the avenue beze and it was delicious with walnuts, cream, raspberry, beze etc. Gave it a delicious taste mixture, definitely worth the money. After that I had the apple maizite that also was amazing and very tasty. Crumbles, dough, apple, cinnamon and also cream. And for 1.20€ not to believe. I will for sure come back and try a lot more of their things. Definitely a big thumbs up and recommendation.

I really liked this place. It’s cozy and beautifully set up, with a pleasant view and comfortable tables. The honey cake was delicious, the service was excellent, and even the restroom was very clean. Located right in the center with reasonable prices — a very nice spot overall.

I am a frequent visitor of this little cafe in the center of Riga, have many favorites in their offer. This time I ordered a cake for my son’s birthday and it was a true star! Beautiful execution, fresh and fruity taste. Would be better if a little bit less sweet, but it is my personal taste. Truly recommend!

Amazing little café in Riga. All the pastries looked amazing but we settled for pavlova and medus kuka and they were both tasty and delicious. I would defo add this little gem into your list of must go for a lovely coffee break.

Very lovely bakery, has a lot of choices! My favourite was pistachio éclair - it is a must try if you love pistachio :) also had honey cake which was good and strawberry tea. I am not big fan of pavlova but my friend said it was tasty and as much as I tried it was nice and berries were very fresh!

It was Saturday evening, when my wife and me decided to attend Piens. I was expecting something more from this, previously, famous place. Could not find suitable meal for us, as well as not like cocktails. As for me, places needs fresh air intake, fresh ideas. As for me, at this moment it looks dead...

If You are in Riga, it's a must visit place. In Wednesday evenings You will have party sometimes even till 6 am and Fridays are the best for Oster and Bingo evenings. Lovely interior, two big terraces to enjoy your time with friends at the summer season. Easy to meet new people there. Good drink menu, tasty food. In Wednesdays there is wine evenings with special friendly prices for a glass or bottle of wine and cafe serves one free meal for everyone that wants around midnight, so no worry if you get hungry. In summer time, free of charge good quality concerts in the back yard of the place and out door cafés. Also there are 4 other bars and clubs around and a burger place if you wish for something different, but don't want to go far. A place to visit, especially in summer! You will love there.

Went for a dinner with friends but the experience was more then underwhelming. Staff was uninterested and unwelcoming. We ordered the salmon and got a tiny portion. In the menu it was stated to come with pearl barley. It turned about to be just garnish - literally a teaspoon. The food was ok, but after eating I still felt hungry. I remember this place beeing better with service, prices and the food. But this was my last time visiting.

Great food and great atmosphere both during the daily lunch or evening dinner. Plus regularly some cool evening events. Like fridays bingo night, where you can play bingo in a very cheerful atmosphere.

By far this is the greatest café I have ever had the joy of being in. Everything is truly great and at a reasonable price. Usually breakfast is available from 8-11am and its divine (try the porridge you won't be disappointed) and lunch each day from 12pm. Breakfast menu doesn't change but each day there are different deserts and a lunch menu. The staff is incredibly friendly. The atmosphere is cute and not pretentious in any way. Though above all I must commend their standards, I've been going there daily for months now and not once have I been disappointed by anything. In my humble opinion this is a must visit in Riga. :))

Me and my wife went there for breakfast on my birthday after a recommendation from our relatives and it really was a place to start a birthday well. Food was delicious and portions were good size and variety too. The buratta dish was extensive as these things tend to be, but the rest was great! Even the price for freshly squeezed orange juice was friendly. we recommend it 5/5

Fair 4.3 Place has a good type of coffee and nice warriaty of sweet waffles. However, I was a bit disappointed with the size of sour waffles itself, 3 pieces seemed to be a small portion compared with sweet waffle size. Also I would like to see an option for a waffle with the "kick". Add some siraccha source and a bit of lime's zest in the dipping along with salmon, and we have a really nice option to try. Don't stop improving sour waffles 🧇

Absolutely loved Pipa Wafels! The waffles are super fresh — crispy on the outside, soft and warm inside, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality ingredients. The coffee is excellent too — rich, smooth, and perfectly made. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a modern touch that makes it a great spot to relax or catch up with friends. My favourite waffle spot in Riga! They serve just waffles and drinks, but you need nothing more than that. The Belgium waffles with salted caramel are the ones to die for... My guiltiest and tastiest pleasure on weekly basis 😅. The cheese waffles (if you haven't tried it yet) are something you will never forget... This place is a foodie hidden gem! I love them from the very beginning 4-5 years ago and I think I will love them forever 😍

KALVE Coffee quickly became my go-to spot in Riga—I ended up coming back three times during my stay! Their flat white is excellent, smooth and well-balanced, easily one of the best I’ve had in a while. The lemon cardamom roll was also a highlight—soft, fragrant, and absolutely delicious. The macha I ordered had no flavour, all I could taste was milk. Staff were nice but couldn't understand what i wanted to order so I got wrong drinks. Atmosphere was nice and modern

Inconsistent. One of our flat whites arrived far too sour and with no texture in the milk spilling down the sides of the cup. I saw them serve another coffee like this to another customer - no latte art of course. They did replace the sour coffee when I asked with one made properly (with a bit of an unnecessary smirk), but the first coffee should never have been served.. not at these prices. Riga is short of good coffee places and I really hoped Kalve would be setting a standard, but if you’re happy to serve a clearly below par coffee and charge nearly 4 euros, I question the integrity. The other coffees were better but not nearly on par with coffee houses in London, Berlin, Oslo… Please treat every customer as though they were your most discerning.

Hands down the best coffee shop in Riga, and out of three locations this is my favorite one. Pastries are great, especially one with lemon and cardamom. Besides obvious choices like cappuccino and others, I would really suggest trying summer drinks, especially espresso tonic and nitro latte (if they still make it). Definitely my favorite place to grab coffee all year round.

Yummmmmmm! I’ve been waiting for Fika to re-open and they didn’t disappoint! Signature dark chocolate brownies, traditional Latvian desserts, fantastic customer service and spotlessly chic interior decor. It’s a must for any baked goods foodie. Curbside eating, a few beers and ciders available as well.

I’m a medical student and often study in cafés around Riga, always ordering food and drinks. This was by far the worst experience me and my friends have had in six years here. One of the staff members was openly rude from the moment we walked in, the way she took our orders was unfriendly and unwelcoming. Even though me and my friends were sitting quietly, working, and had all ordered something, she started taking photos of us without our permission. When confronted, she refused to delete them, which was completely inappropriate and unacceptable. She then told us we were “not allowed to use laptops for more than 2 hours,” despite there being no sign or rule posted anywhere. Me and my friends did absolutely nothing wrong, yet were treated with disrespect the entire time. Unprofessional, disrespectful , and a very unwelcoming environment. Me and my friends will not be returning and I will be sure to spread the word among other students so they know what to expect.

The dessert (brownie) was dry and the cream on top was also dry. But worst of all was the music. It was so loud I could barely hear my own thoughts. So please Fika if you read this, lower the music. Also staff is not very nice.

We had these chimney cakes for the first time in Prague last year and they were delicious. I was pleasantly surprised to see them here in Riga! They are delicious here also and the service is super friendly.

An amazing and cute place! We didn't have to wait for long to our orders to be taken, and theg made them pretty quickly! The girls who were working there were sweet, and did an excellent job! It was sooo tasty, and it seems that they have freshly baked dought with Cinnamon, that tasted like a Cinnamon bun! Price is good, if you count how good it's made and how much ingredients do they put inside! It was 6,50€ if I'm not mistaken. Really enjoyed this place, and hope to visit it soon for the second round!

But yesterday was just few hours ago and everything feels fresh anyway. All together what is displayed on my table cost me just 3 something euro. And tasted amazing.

We took our orders, and that process of us taking our orders made this very employee even angrier, even though we were friendly and uncomplicated towards her. Our order consisted of two eclaires two hot chocolates and - as far as I remember - a coffee. I can not complain about the fact that we did receive them very quickly. We sat down about a minute after our order, in a very comfortable corner. Then we, of course, had to try the ordered products. The eclaires were drier than the Sahara desert, filled by a fairly weird cream that at least did taste good. One of my friends was especially shocked, being a skilled baker herself. The hot chocolate was okay, I would give it 3.6 stars, not the best, but not very bad either. However, we did not stay in there for very long due to the angry employee who gave the entire place a very unpleasant atmosphere. Luckily, the door was not locked when we got out, so the need of having one more potential interaction with this person was abolished. In short: If the staff was in a better mood, it would be an absolutely enjoyable place, despite the dry eclaires!

after living in portugal im usually very skeptical of other places making pastel de natas or their spin offs but kūre certainly delivered. sure, pistachio flavor isnt original (though you can get an original pastel de nata there as well!) but it was divine. best of both worlds - pastel de nata /and/ pistachios? i found the pastry to be flaky and crispy, not greasy at all. custard was creamy but light - good pistachio flavor and also not too sweet. honestly, 10/10. 🫶🏻

The taste is delicate and the texture is so creamy. Cardamom bun here is definitely deserves your attention, it is really one of the best cardamom bun I’ve tried.

A few years ago it was a great place, I don’t know what happened, but it’s not the same anymore… The service is absolutely useless: the waitress took a very long time to bring the menu and didn’t take the order for a long time. Waiting for the food was also veeery long. The portions have become smaller and the prices higher. The appearance of the food doesn’t look very presentable. I was shocked to see a dirty sink and a dirty floor in a place like this. They present themselves as a fancy bakery/cafe, but in reality they’re lacking aesthetics, good quality and politeness.

We used to visit Mulberry on Ausekļa street quite often, but unfortunately, the atmosphere there has noticeably deteriorated lately. One particularly unpleasant experience involved a person who appeared to be either the administrator or the manager - it doesn’t really matter who exactly. Swearing at staff members in front of guests is completely unacceptable. Such behavior shows a clear lack of respect for both the employees and the customers. I genuinely feel sorry for the staff who have to work in such conditions. The service has definitely declined, but given the management style, it’s not surprising. The food is tasty, but nothing exceptional. Prices are reasonable for the quiet center. The final straw was a situation where, due to a large number of guests, one of the female guests accidentally bumped into a table, and a vase broke. The manager’s reaction - shouting across the entire restaurant - came off as completely unprofessional and humiliating.

We visited Mulberry on Sunday and enjoyed coffee and dessert. However, I was surprised that when I asked for a glass of water, I was told this is not provided. In many places, serving water with coffee and sweets is seen as a small but important gesture of care and hospitality. Even a simple glass of tap water, especially when a guest asks for it, makes the experience feel more welcoming. It would be wonderful if Mulberry could consider this, as it really adds to the comfort of your guests and leaves a warmer impression.

recently visited masa on a thursday night, and it truly exceeded all expectations - easily one of the best restaurants in riga. the service, atmosphere, and food were all outstanding. our waiter, daniil (if i remember correctly), was unbelievably attentive, warm, and the perfect reflection of what makes this place so special. every dish we tried was incredible, and as a vegetarian, i especially appreciated the creativity and variety of flavors on the menu. my highlights: the baba ganoush and roasted cabbage appetizer, the risotto with chanterelles, and of course the cocktails. but the star of the night? the pistachio ice cream dessert. hands down one of the best desserts i’ve ever had.

IT'S EASILY THE BEST ICE CREAM SHOP IN THE BALTIC STAES. Not only the ice cream taste amazing but the waffle cones (both small and big ones) are truly the best. More importantly, one ice cream scoop is actually a decent size. I haven't tried everything, but what I have I liked. I will come back for more. My absolute favourite is the pistachio almond croissant (if it is the same days). I tried the previous days (sold separately with extra discount) and I could taste that - dryer than the fresh one. Tasty crumble cookies. They also have available not sweet things but also croissants with different meats and extra ingredients. Everything is made on the spot and clients are served by a really hospitable saleswomen. I felt welcomed here. Dining area is not huge - two tables inside and one outside. There are high stairs at the entrance so you have to work for your calories.

Ordered a variety of things: Buns with mushrooms - excellent! Top marks. Khachapuri basket - tastes better than it looks. It was satisfactory, though really small. Cottage cheese pocket - very very dry, not much of taste. Anthill cake - had to throw out, it is not an anthill cake, not even close. The crumbles are too big and not evenly spread, the ingredients are not spread in balance; very oily (see picture). Rhubarb-strawberry curd cake - curd was good, the rest - not at all; too crunchy, too burnt on the sides; did not enjoy it at all.
