Skyline offered views that easily justified one visit, with a wide panorama across Riga that looked especially sharp at night when the city lights were out. Beyond the view, the experience was much less impressive. The bar felt dated in its layout and atmosphere, with very little energy in the room. On the evening I visited, it was quiet to the point of feeling empty, which took away the buzz you expect from a rooftop venue. Drinks were competent. Service was polite & nice. The bar gave the impression of having had better days in the past but now being a space that people go to once for the view rather than as a place to spend the evening. It was fine for the outlook, though the experience itself was flat.

Great bar to have a drink and a bite while you look at the Riga landscape (or sunset if you catch it). The bar is fancy but not extremely. Prices are reasonable given the kinda exclusive view you are offered and the quality of the food/cocktails. Even the elevator has a great view. Cheers.

I just came for a drink. The place is located within the Raddison hotel, just take the lift to the 26th floor. You can choose where to sit and a waitress comes to take your order. Variety of cocktails which were nice. Yes it’s pricier than other places but you’re paying premium for the lovely views and cute ambiance. I recommend to sit on the left hand side when you enter the bar for better views at night.

A modern, stylish and welcoming space, with fast service, cleanliness and prices, but especially with a stunning panoramic view of Riga, this place has almost everything one could wish for. Skyline Bar is worth a visit.

These peeps can make a cocktail. Top notch. The view is very good. You can walk around to get a 360. I should have gone back for the evening lights. Went at dusk and sat with the sun beaming down on me. You don't need to spend more than an hour up there but it's a great view and worth doing.

Probably the best cocktail bar we found in Riga. The whole place feels like an alchemy lab, with bartenders who clearly master the craft of mixology. Their concept is to introduce Nordic flavors, using fresh ingredients sourced from local farmers — and it really shows in every drink. The team was super friendly too; we ended up chatting with them about both the menu and things to do in Riga. A must-visit if you’re into cocktails and unique experiences.

Visited in Sep 2025 Gimlet Nordic Cocktail Bar usually appears as a top cocktail bar in Riga in online searches, and hence I decided to give it a visit during my trip to Riga. The bar uses a lot of local Baltic ingredients in their concoctions and prides itself on making the best use of such ingredients in their drinks/cocktails. I tried quite a few drinks including a couple of their Gimlets (since that’s their sort of specialty). The Sorrel Gimlet was my favourite. I also tried a couple of their cocktails and liked the Solstice Sour, which is also a sorrel based cocktail. Service was really good and the bar staff were constantly taking care of the customers. The bartender/mixologist was also kind to share some complementary small drinks which form a part of their other cocktails. I did not have a reservation and was easily able to find a seat with a walk-in. Overall, I liked this bar and would definitely recommend visiting it if you’re in Riga looking for a chill & cool place to hang out and have some cocktails.

Cocktails are unbelievable and so goood!!! The service is excellent and very friendly. The server answered our question well and everything was smooth sailing. The interior is thoughtful and cozy.

Great place and great people. First impression already very positive when being directly served with water after taking a seat! Service continued to be excellent, perfect recommendations and explanations about the really special drinks (and thanks for sharing the local sorrel soup recipe!) And fantastic drinks!

It’s a cute place, but not really my kind of spot—we ended up here by suggestion. The cocktails are creative, but definitely not everyone’s cup of tea. It’s worth visiting once for the experience, but if you’re more into classic cocktails, this place will likely be a big miss for you.

Lovely bar in Riga, especially for Gin-lover. I love the concept of local crafts and ingredients sourced also how friendly the staffs are. I took the sour drink as I’m not a fan of gin (always found that it is too bitter) but it turned out to be easy drinks and I love it. Totally recommend for someone who likes decent cocktails.

We visited this restaurant for a team-building lunch, and it was a wonderful experience. The starters were amazing—so much so that they were gone before I even had a chance to take a photo! The main course was very tasty as well. While a few colleagues had some minor comments or preferences, those were really just small details and didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment. The dessert was a highlight and truly brought everything together—it was simply delightful. We also appreciated the lovely complimentary treat at the end. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would recommend this place for both a romantic evening or a gathering with a larger group. It’s especially charming in good weather, but I imagine that even watching a thunderstorm roll in over the rooftops of Riga would be a memorable experience.

Great rooftop in Riga. We came here to have dessert and some drinks. The dessert was extremely scrumptious, the drinks were all unique. Great service from Lucas, who went above and beyond, exceeding all of our expectations. The view is also very nice. Perfect for sunsets. If you want to make sure there is a table for you, we do recommend making a reservation as we were lucky but many behind us were not able to get a table.

Herbārijs offered excellent views across Riga, with a setting that was both stylish and relaxed. The drinks were very well made, balanced and creative, and the food matched the same quality. The staff were enthusiastic and engaged, which added to the overall experience and made the visit more memorable. The space itself had an energy that many other rooftops lacked, combining good design with a lively crowd. It was the kind of place that worked equally well for daytime or evening visits, and it stood out as one of the more complete rooftop experiences in the city.

Lovely location with tasty bites and great cocktails. The two appetizers I ordered (beef tartare and duck spring rolls) were delicious and filling, and I loved the rhubarb and lemongrass cocktail so much that I had to order a second one. Perfect place to relax in the afternoon or evening.

Herbārijs kafejnīca is a rooftop restaurant and bar in Riga, Latvia, located on top of a shopping mall. Following many recommendations, we visited after a long day of exploring the city for dinner and left satisfied. I had the pork ribs with French fries topped with cheese and truffles, which were nicely cooked. The highlight, though, is the view! The city looks amazing from here, especially at sunset. We visited on September 2nd, 2025, and were lucky to have surprisingly good weather. Recommended.

The restaurant is located on the 7th floor of a shopping mall and the indication is not very clear. After arriving on the 7th floor, you still need to use some stairs to reach the rooftop. The space is okay with the inside and the outside areas, and the view is fine, but the service is a mess done by a GenZ team, completely lost and in a bad mood. The kind of service/waiter that can't probably manage the tables and makes a face when you order "tap water", bringing one single glass of water even if your bill was more than 50€ and you are drinking wine. I had the duck croquettes as a starter and the tuna steak, being both good options for the dinner in Riga.

Amazing cocktail bar slightly hidden on a second floor similar to a speakeasy. We sat at the bar and loved the atmosphere and decoration. The « tease me, kiss me… » cocktail was amazing and very fun to order to the barman as well ;) We had a great time!

This bar popped up as one of recommendations in the city. We visited this place on a Tuesday evening and it was pretty much empty. We were too early and were the only ones there. They have a good variety of cocktails that they keep updating on a weekly/monthly basis. The decor is top notch. And the drinks match up to the expectations as well. For one of the drinks, you get a claw machine where you have to manoeuver the crane to pick up a ball which will tell you which cocktail you have picked. And for another drink, try your luck? You get a scratch card where if you get three of the same, you get a free drink. The service was really nice, the wait staff are really friendly.

A large of us stopped by here Overall it was a pretty good place, but there were a few quirky things about it that made it kind of strange. First thing was the inability to pay for drinks individually. What? When it came to paying, you had to pay for several people at once. This means that if the waiter took drink orders for 8 people, when the drinks came, one person had to pay for the round - very strange. Also, after looking at the receipt, I believe there was an automatic 10% added to the bill each time. The only bathroom is on the first floor - two people only. Could be a pretty big line if really busy. I will say that I really enjoyed the menu as they had inventive names and tasted great. I also enjoyed the table of shots I ordered for the group - great price and neat way to deliver them. I would really suggest correcting the way to pay for the drinks, as it was very off-putting to most - causing confusion on who paid for what.

Cynic Bar in Riga. Where do I start. Easily the best bar in Riga and quite possibly in Europe. This cocktail bar has a menu based on TV and film and the mixologists get really creative. We were fortunate enough to visit on a Wednesday (a quieter night) and Tom our server was so attentive and offered his expertise as we worked our way through the menu 🍹 I've just visited a bar in Athens voted by Time Out magazine as the No.4 bar in the world. They clearly haven't been to Cynic Bar...

One word- AMAZING! Tom was the best! The whole staff is gifted! This place has the best craft cocktails in Europe!!

A cozy, well-hidden bar in Riga, though it would’ve been even cooler if the entrance door was kept closed to give a more authentic speakeasy experience. When we arrived, the place was empty (we were the only guests), but within an hour it got fully packed. Since the space is quite small, it's a good idea to come early or book a table in advance. You won’t find classic cocktails on the menu - only their own signature creations. Personally, I am not a fan of their cocktail selection, but that’s a matter of taste. The service was pleasant - the lady hostess was very welcoming and professional, helped us choose drinks based on our preferences, and described the taste profiles well. Prices are on the higher side, so keep that in mind.

I had such a great time at nosaints! The service was super attentive without being over the top, and the cocktails were honestly some of the best I’ve had. The vibe, with the music and atmosphere, made it feel private and a bit exclusive in the best way. Definitely a spot I’d love to come back to.

Do not recommend coming here. Went to see a ballet at the national opera and made a reservation to get drinks at No Saints after as it’s nearby. We made the reservation about 1 month in advance. We received two emails from no saints confirming our booking including one the day of reminding us that are reservation upcoming. When we arrived the place was empty except for a table of two women. We had a hard time finding someone to help us. When a hostess did appear, she said they didn’t have our reservation and were not sure if they could seat us as we were not a large enough company to be seated. We pulled up our reservation email to show her. She argued with us. Another woman named Daria ( I assume the manager on duty) said the email we received (attached) did not confirm our reservation. Very confusing as when you read the email written in English it states it is a confirmation. We left because it was not a cool atmosphere/vibe, it was empty and not worth the energy to try to explain that this third rate bar needed to 1/invest in better reservation technology or train their staff on the use of, 2/ teach their staff customer service and the value of making money.

We were being rushed. Bar is supposed to be a relaxing place where you can take your time. Not here, this is like a bistro pretending to be a bar After getting seats and menus, the bartender came back literally less than 20 seconds and asked what do we want to order. I told we need more time to read the menu! And instead of leaving and giving us more time - HE JUST STOOD THERE and said: "What do you usually drink? What kind of alcohol? I'll help you choose now" ... wow!! To be honest at this point we should have just left! Then - when our drinks were only halfway done, he comes again to our table to offer a second drink. Like what? Was I supposed to just "chug down" my current drink? Also - this happened when there were more people coming in, I'm pretty sure he just wanted to make us leave sooner to free our table. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

We found nosaints hidden bar via TripAdvisor & Google reviews which all said good things about this bar. Firstly, it really is hidden along a dark alley, down a pitch black set of stairs & in via an unmarked door that you don't even know you are in the right place until you open the door!! When inside, the service is very friendly & the choice of cocktails is large! We booked, but we were early & didn't really need to. We enjoyed our unusual cocktails & everything was explained well. Recommended.

We were looking forward to our dining experience at Kalku Varti after it had been recommended by some locals. Upon arriving the friendly server greeted us and sat us immediately. The restaurant is very homey and comfortable with a lovely outdoor seating area in the back. Perfect for a romantic evening. Looking over the tasty sounding items my partner chose the grilled chicken breast with bok choy. I chose the beef cheeks with roasted vegetables. From there plentiful wine list we chose a wine that would go with both entrees. My beef cheeks were tender and would have been very good but the chef had put a thick brown gravy over the tender beef which took away any of the flavor the dish would have had. The roasted vegetables were prepared nicely but, again, the gravy, which seemed like it came out of a package, hid all the freshness and flavor of this locally sourced produce. My wife's experience was not any better. Her chicken was dry although she said it had a nice herbal flavor. The bok choy was hard as a rock and inedible. By the time we tracked down our waiter, we did not want to wait around for something different. Kalku Vardi did comp us a delicious desert. We have read so many positive reviews, we will give Kalku Varti another visit on our return to Riga.

We had a delightful meal here, the food was excellent and the recommended paired wines were perfect. It wasn’t busy (midweek) and the staff were friendly and attentive. It was the perfect place to finish our week in Riga.

Tres chic restaurant — very stylish and elegant, though I personally like eating a bit more like a savage 😄🍴. Started with gazpacho soup, paired with a variety of good breads. The beef burger was juicy and delicious, and the homemade fried potatoes were a real treat (not easy to find everywhere!). Paired it with Spanish homemade wine — solid choice. Finished with avocado panna cotta, light and not overly sweet — a refreshing ending. Chic vibes, tasty food, worth a visit!

Very good restaurant because of atmosphere and service. Food is tasty and mostly made from local ingredients, maybe a little lacking in sophistication and flavor nuances, but still very good. Local made bread rolls is what the kids love the most.

Excellent food and service. Vegetarian and fish wonderful. They also serve plenty of meat but I can't vouch for that. The dishes were all beautifully presented and the food was so fresh and seasonal. Unfortunately no pictures of starters - ate them before we had chance - they were awesome! Tomato stuffed with herby burrata and a salad with strawberries an walnut - I wouldn't have put these flavours together but they were amazing. Marked atmosphere down, I'm sure it could have been amazing however at evening dinner service the table next to us had an unruly toddler and screaming baby and there seemed to be gaggles of teenagers wandering in and out and hanging around the bar - more like a kids club than gourmet restaurant.

Went in just before rain and luckily there were tables available for four. Great food, burger could be better, and fries a bit too salty. And still satisfying! Midia was fantastic with a great sauce! Duck very tender! Suggest to have it.

The vegetarian burger was amazingly tasty! The thai cream soup is interesting as well, but a toast would have made it better. The portion of crepes is too tiny.. For the price, the portions should be larger. The kids' menu options were disappointing, however. The pasta was all covered with sauce that kids do not appreciate. Children were given tall glasses with super long steel straws... How on earth that could be safe?

Tasty food, big portions, great terrace vibes! Andalūzijas Suns is a cozy spot offering solid European comfort food. The menu isn’t trying to surprise you with anything new- it’s more about doing the classics well. The food is tasty, portions are big, and prices are fair. They serve breakfast until 14:00, and on weekdays they offer a business lunch. It gets very busy in summer, especially on the terrace. Drinks are a highlight, especially the gin-based cocktails. Cool fact: they have their own locally distilled gin called OBDO. The interior is warm and artistic, with rotating exhibitions. Chairs aren’t the comfiest, but it’s fine for a casual meal. Plus, they’re kid- and dog- friendly- even offering menu options for dogs! Service was okay- our waitress seemed new and unsure, and I’ve noticed staff don’t always smile, though there are exceptions. Still, I recommend visiting- especially on a sunny day when the terrace is open and the cocktails are flowing.

We have had a bad breakfast experience and a terrible service communication. Our order contained “butter toast with eggs Benedict” which was not a toast, but soft bread instead. However the accident with my order happened when i found a huge plastic package part from prosciutto hidden inside my meal. I asked a waiter to pay attention to this outrage and to pass the complaint to the kitchen stuff. Reaction of a waiter was reluctant and negligent, as he was in hurry and busy like it happens twice a day 😳. Then he came back saying that he apologises and that I will have a discount. He estimated ordinary price 😳 NOT RECOMMENDED

Cozy restaurant in a closed space, food was amazing. Service was questionable, the waitress we had was extremely slow and it took her 15 minutes to just bring the menu while other tables got premium service.

I stopped by here today with my wife for Brunch / Light Lunch. There is seating both inside and out, but I must say that the eating area in the courtyard is definitely a great location. Our young waiter today was really great - he even noticed the wobbly table when he first arrived and adjusted the leg to make it nice and sturdy. The food came out fairly quick and was very well done. I will say that their garlic bread is one of my favorites I've tasted (crunchy outside and soft inside). The dipping sauce (slight horse radish added) is also really good. This place also prides itself on being dog friendly (check out my menu photo), This was not our first time here, and it won't be our last. Thanks.

The food arrived promptly and was delicious, as was the cocktail. I was particularly impressed by the separate dog menu; it's a unique feature I haven't encountered elsewhere. I highly recommend this establishment, but reservations are necessary.

I went there during the lucky hour on a Tuesday. it was quite empty, however it's a working day, so no surprise! the bartender was super helpful in making the crucial decision aka the drink. also the menu is very cool with the graph (you have to visit to know what I'm talking ab). and he brought water, which is always good.

Lovely little neighborhood spot! Will definitely go back; superb service, friendly and Friday night live DJ with ambient music to match the mood. Delicious coconut and chicken soup, herb crusted chicken filets, and yummy cocktails. Hoping to make this place a regular haunt of mine…for those driving in, there’s an easy parking lot next door with available spots.

Incredible waffles and tip top bar! Reservations are required for brunch but worth the trouble for truly all you can eat waffles. Definitely a must for Rīgas and visitors.

Riga Island Hotel is a solid 4-star option with clean, comfortable rooms and easy access to the Old Town—around a 30–40 minute walk or just €4 by taxi using the Bolt app. The rooms were well-equipped with a TV, tea and coffee facilities, and everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The restaurant on the 9th floor served decent food and offered a lovely view across the river to the city centre. Breakfast included a good selection of hot and cold buffet items. The only downside was the reception bar, which was closed more often than open—so there wasn’t really a social area to sit and enjoy a drink in the evening. Overall, a good base for exploring Riga.

I stayed here with my family as a member of 37 strong group of tourists from India. I should admit that I had a pleasant stay here. The property has a luxurious look. Lobby and corridors were spacious. Overall, good ambience. Room was spacious with neat carpet and walls. Sufficient storage space was available for luggage bags. Tea kettle, iron and iorn board and fridge were also provided. Soffa set added to the comfort. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was neat with sparklingly clean tiles and sanitary fittings. Buffett dinner had vide variety of options for every type of guests. I would definitely recomend this hotel for any family looking for comfortable stay in Riga, Latvia.

Almost all of the staff at the front desk was very unpleasant and sometimes rude. We were lucky if the WiFi in the room even worked, let alone was strong enough to stream videos on YouTube and such. The breakfast, while not bad, was lacking and the quality of the food wasn’t up to par with the 4 star superior rating the hotel boasts about. For the lifts (there are two of theme) you wait for ages, and you better get the stairs. The bath wasn’t in the best shape and had a shower curtain, something you won’t see very much any more even in 3 star hotels. As such, this hotel is more up to par with 3 star hotels, and not the best ones of them.

Nice hotel but it has become old fashioned. Breakfast was really good and our room was nice. We paid 50€ per night which is a fair price as the hotel itself is old fashioned but for example in a really good location. The water pressure in the shower, was quite low.

This high quality 4 star hotel provides extremely slow or sometimes no wi-fi in the rooms. Furthermore, other facilities in the room or common spaces look rather like 2/3 star European hotel. That rating is highly misleading for potential customers and I have no idea how this place is classified so highly. The breakfasts are also nothing more than simple decent when it comes to the quality and variety of food. To conclude, there is nothing here that would justify they deserve 4*.

Modern Hotel, very nice and clean rooms, from some rooms you have a very nice view. Good Wifi, very god Breakfast with enough space for many Guests. Helpfull Staff, good tourist information: maps, brochures, etc.. Very short walk into the city or to the buses.

Cloud Nine delivered a sophisticated experience with a setting that felt polished yet approachable. Jane, who looked after us, did an excellent job with service, and the drinks were well made and refined. The atmosphere was calm and stylish, making it a good choice for a quieter evening in a well-run bar.

Very nice quaint bar with a dark and mysterious vibe that provides hookah smoking. The cocktail list was super nice and creative. The service was welcoming and the bartenderesse skills impressive. Cocktails are designed to amuse the eyes as well as the mouth! Enjoy 🙂

Stylish cocktail bar with an impressively large menu and very creative presentations — one of our drinks came with a smoke effect, another with fire, both really eye-catching. What we didn’t love was the presence of shisha in the space, which took away a bit from the otherwise elegant vibe (and the smell wasn’t great). Still, the cocktails themselves were excellent and worth trying.

Very average cocktails and a dark atmosphere with lots of people smoking hookah. Didn’t like the vibes at all but if you’re looking for this type of a bar you might enjoy.

Was told bar was shutting in 15 mins so couldn’t get a drink. We said we will drink quickly. Bar man said we can take it away. Online says open until 2 maybe get that changed. I had a white wine my dad a red, barman said I can make it a double. Sure why not. That’s €36 👀 seriously… Shocking prices.

One of the best cocktails in Riga! The drinks were absolutely amazing and gorgeous, specially the one with smoke. The bartender Karolina was super friendly and really good with cocktails. You can also order a drink based on how you like it(e.g very sweet or more fresh) The place is very cozy, comfy and very clean. Not pricey at all. Definitely recommend it and will come back next time for sure.

Amazing experience, great bartender, who actually made our atmosphere and night really nice. Everyone knows this place with original cocktails and tasty food, but I associate it also with excellent Kalve coffee. I came here for a lunch and then returned twice for a night out with friends. Great Gin choice as well as fine local craft beer! 🙂👍

This was our second stay at the Grand Kempinski in Riga. The rooms are clean and beautiful with good air conditioning. The breakfast is delicious and the upstairs restaurant is great. It is the people working here that make staying at the Kempinski exceptional. From a warm welcome to extremely helpful front desk associates to having your coffee preference remembered at breakfast, the employees here elevate the experience. I highly recommend and plan to return when visiting Riga again.

Stayed here recently for a 10 day stay for business and had an amazing stay. The spa was a welcome respite from a long day of meetings and report writing. The location to surrounding attractions, restaurants, and grocery stores is ideal for a long stay. The service is highly professional and excellent, I felt welcomed from the moment I stepped into the lobby. I want to especially commend the hostess at breakfast and her entire team of wait staff who made breakfast truly enjoyable every morning. She greeted me every morning with a smile, remembered my preferred table and my hot green tea which I enjoy greatly. The wait staff was quick with their service, removing my plate when I was finished and asking if I needed anything. I normally do not eat breakfast but eating breakfast here was the highlight of my stay every day. I also wanted to thank the spa staff for maintaining the spa so clean and welcoming. I had a massage while I was there and it was a great experience. The masseuse was very professional and knowledgeable about deep tissue, you cannot go wrong with spa services here. Thank you to Grand Hotel Kempinski for a very wonderful stay and will definitely choose this hotel for future stays in Riga, that is a promise.

It’s very nice and Probably Riga’s best hotel in terms of stars/price range (there is no real ultra luxury competition) but not without its flaws. Check-in was excellent with a lovely charming French lady (Emilie), a really positive, kind, engaging professional welcome. Stayed in a Junior Suite which was very nice, good view and flawless in terms of hard product. Pool/Spa area very nice and service very nice. Stage 22 restaurant/bar very nice and good quality food/cocktails and lovely service - Lobster sandwich was outstanding. Unfortunately on first night my bill included some items I don’t order which was disappointing- they apologized and removed but shouldn’t happen here especially tired travelers should not need to double check their bills. What didn’t I like - well let’s talk about breakfast and Eggs Benedict / Avocado Egg Toast. It was disappointing. We ordered eggs Benedict and avocado with egg. Both came with hard boiled eggs. The staff were all very pleasant but there seemed a lack of oversight or training. Even when I asked to change it they asked what was wrong. The second attempt was better in egg cooking but swimming in very thick hollandaise. Not pleasant. I didn’t risk it the second morning and just ordered fried eggs (which were perfect). That said, the service was all very pleasant and proactive and everyone was kind, despite they can’t match what they aim to offer in the a la carte selection. Concierge/Bellboys were very nice and knowledgeable- had a few casual conversations with them and they clearly enjoyed their jobs and were super nice. Would I stay again, yes as I’m in Riga quite regularly.

Best luxury hotel in Riga - lived up to expectations. Helpful, professional, well informed and friendly front desk, breakfast and spa staff. The deluxe king room was plush and spacious. We look forward to returning.

This was a business trip, but I had time to explore the city and relax. I was very pleased with all the hotel services and the staff's approach. The room was comfortable, the food was good, and the cleanliness was excellent. I congratulate the management for this excellent and professional management. By the way, it's a great location for travelers.

Come here very often for Sunday Brunch, was always high quality, and today was sooo extremely disappointed. Could believe my self how poore quality it become. Food court plates was not filled up- mostly all empty, food quality soo cheap, service personal without experience. Definitely will not come here anymore . Very BAD SUNDAY BRUNCH. My child love eggs and omelete but this he could eat at all.

I recently stayed at the Pullman and was quite disappointed with the overall experience. For a hotel that presents itself as five star, the standards fell significantly short. Breakfast: The breakfast selection was very poor. There was minimal variety, only basic types of cheese, limited options overall, and most items such as jams and cereals were left uncovered and exposed to air. It was quite apparent that some food was being reused; on the third day, I received a croissant that was completely dried out, clearly not fresh. By the last day, we decided to skip breakfast altogether, something I have never done before while staying at a hotel, simply because the repetitive options, mainly eggs and bacon, became unappealing. Room: The room layout was odd, with wooden flooring abruptly transitioning into ceramic tiles. The underfloor heating only worked on a small part of the tiled area, leaving the rest of the room cold. Adjusting the temperature settings did not seem to have any effect, which made the stay uncomfortable. We also noticed small bugs coming from the wooden floor, which was quite unpleasant and added to the overall discomfort. Bathroom: The shower area felt low budget, and the toiletries provided were disappointing. The shampoo and body wash were clearly the same product. For a property claiming luxury status, these details made a poor impression. Positives: The hotel staff were polite, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay, and the location is convenient for exploring the area. Overall: While the staff and location are positives, the quality of the rooms, breakfast, and overall experience are far below what one would expect from a five star Pullman property. This stay did not meet expectations, and I would not consider returning

My stay at this hotel was a true pleasure. From the very first moment, I felt it was a special place – beautifully located in the historic heart of Riga, with remarkable architecture and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff deserves the highest praise – professional, kind, and attentive to every detail. For someone who travels a lot, it’s exactly these little things that make all the difference: fresh, fragrant bed linen, delicious early-morning coffee, a perfectly working hair dryer, and a room prepared with care. Breakfasts were excellent, and the grilled steaks in the evening – simply outstanding. The relaxation area with a pool that felt like a giant bathtub, combined with the calm atmosphere in the common spaces, made it easy to truly unwind. This place has everything you need to relax and feel genuinely cared for. I will gladly return.

Nice hotel with location very close to old city. But note, that You can not drive direct to the hotel door. Also my suggestion is that the overall experience does not fit to 5* hotel - probably formally the regulations are met - there is an small swimming pool also You will get a sparkling wine at the breakfast, but my opinion - it is an good 4* hotel. Anyway - the price is reasonable and location great. Also the inhouse restaurant offer nice menu worth to taste

The hotel lobby was very nice and presented well. The gym and sauna was good but the pool was quite small. It was in a great location of the city. The rooms were okay however the shower had mould on the silicone and the door did not fully close, this caused water to seep outside the shower and almost flood the bathroom floor (room 553). The food and drink seemed very expensive however I cannot comment on the quality as I didn’t dine here but the cost of the room was very good value for money. I would recommend staying here and the comments about the shower may seem very harsh as to why I docked it a star, however for a 5 star hotel I wouldn’t expect this. The hotel also let us store our backs after checkout so we could go out and carry on our adventures in Riga. Overall a decent/good experience.

Excellent location, right in the old town. The reception staff are courteous and knowledgeable. I was a little disappointed by the spa, which consists of a sauna and a 19-meter pool. It's very nice but not very relaxing due to the water temperature, which I found too cool. It's definitely more suited to swimming than relaxation and for that’s why I think it should stay in the gym area. As for breakfast, both the buffet and the “à la carte” dishes are excellent and very well presented. However, two more hands in the kitchen would not go amiss: I waited about 30 minutes for an omelet, and I noticed that other guests were also affected by the delay. In addition, one of the chefs in the kitchen, since it is an open kitchen, should pay more attention to her facial expressions and the way she addresses the dining room staff and the customers: the overall impression suffers as a result. Finally, the “à la carte” menu was closed every morning during my stay about 20 minutes before the official end of service. In an hotel of this level, I expect that if breakfast is served until 11 a.m., a dish requested at 10:45 a.m. will still be served.

Great Hotel in the middle of Riga Old Town, only 10 mins from Riga Airport Brilliant breakfast with the best Orange juice i have every had at any hotel in the world. Amazing staff all around the hotel. The reception area is beautiful and really nice place to work from, the rooms are nice, the bed is very comfortable and there is a Spa for guests to use Spa could be improved, the swimming pool need to warm water, not cold. Also a steam room would be nice

We are newly married couple having our honeymoon travelling different cities. This time we found ourselves in Rica. The hotel location is amazing as well as the kind reception and beautiful restaurant. I really enjoyed the spa and the pool. We felt special from the day one, and definitely will come back. An exquisite place with so delightful and cozy atmosphere! Delicious and unique cocktails from all around the world, as well as local peculiarities are served. Definitely worth visiting! You feel yourself special!

As fans of speakeasy bars, we loved discovering this spot in Riga’s new center. You know it’s open when the small red light outside is on — then you ring the bell, get buzzed in, and head down to a cozy basement that feels straight out of the Prohibition era. The atmosphere is intimate and atmospheric, with only a few people around when we visited, which we really enjoyed. We sat at the bar, had some very creative cocktails, and chatted with the super friendly staff. Definitely one for speakeasy lovers.

Used an opportunity to organize a team building activity at Bar 6 for my colleagues, and we had an amazing master class with 4 cocktails of your choosing, combined with expert guidance from one of the pioneers of bartending industry in Latvia - Pāvels. We learned all the most important techniques of cocktail making. Had a custom experience based on everyone's taste buds, and Pāvels masterfully accommodated a non-drinker with amazing non-alcoholic cocktail options. Personally, having experience in the bartending field, even I learned some new things, my colleagues learned even more, and we will definitely take this knowledge home to build some fantastic drinks in our own time. Much recommend attending, would it be just for drinks if you want a genuine speakeasy experience, or just us as we did, organize a team activity for your colleagues for a fun experience. 10/10!

Definitely my favorite bar in Riga, hidden or not. The atmosphere is top notch - so inviting and intimate, perfect for a chill night out. Cocktail selection is great, not too colorful but very tasty. Every drink is served with a glass of water and by a charming waiter. You can also enjoy the whole cocktail making process. There is a little room for smoking and a bathroom with a large mirror. The guacamole with nachos is DELICIOUS 😋

Bar Six is a speakeasy bar that has taken the concept to a reasonable level. We were welcomed in a great way when we arrived and the drink menu has really good prices for the kind of high quality cocktails that you get here. There is even a happy hour if you arrive early where you get two drink for the price of one. They serve som bar snacks too. The staff was good, service was quick and the music was good, albeit a bit loud for that kind of bar. I would definitely come back next time I'm in Riga. Update 2023: Still as good as before! Great service and cocktails. We had a great time here once again.

The first three nights were very nice—peaceful and comfortable. Unfortunately, everything changed on the last night when a group of party guests was placed in the room next to us. From then on, sleeping was impossible due to loud bass-heavy music and dancing continuing well past midnight. This completely ruined our stay, especially with a late flight home the next day. The room itself was modern and comfortable, featuring a high-quality LG OLED TV and a Bose sound system. While this setup is great for enjoying media, it also means that if anyone plays loud music, the bass easily travels through the walls. A great sound system is a nice touch, but there should definitely be rules or limits for its use—especially at night. There were two private saunas available to book 24/7, which was a really nice feature. However, it was disappointing that the water bucket for pouring over the stones was missing, which is a basic expectation for a sauna experience. Breakfast was very nice, and the restaurant itself was perfectly fine. This could have been an excellent stay if not for the loud party next door and the poor attitude of the lady receptionist, who handled the situation badly and left me to deal with the disruptive guests on the lobby when they were asked to turn the music down. They were giving rude comments on me due to stopping their party.

The rooms are tasteful and stylish. They did an immaculate job renovating the entire building, and I loved the original wood floors. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The hotel breakfast quality and variety are both fantastic. There's a beautiful park across the street. It's a trendy neighborhood with so many good restaurants. The only fault I can find is with the design of the bathrooms, which lack counter or cabinet space of any kind.

We had a comfortable two nights stay here in December. The hotel room was ready at 10:30am when we arrived which was convenient, it was a clean and beautifully furnished room. The hotel sauna was a nice extra touch considering the freezing weather outside. There was a slight mistake/confusion as to whether the breakfast was included or not (the receptionist at check in telling us breakfast was included in our booking, then a different receptionist when checking out telling us it wasn’t)- but that was delt with gracefully and swiftly in the end.

The suite I booked was spacious, quiet, and comfortable. Although located in a residential area, the hotel is close to "central" Riga; you can easily walk to cafes, bars, restaurants, and many cultural attractions. All in all, I enjoyed my stay at A22 and would love to stay there again the next time I visit Riga.

The hotel is exceptionally well-equipped for anyone travelling with kids. In addition to the standard baby crib provided probably in most hotels they also had a baby bathtub, a potty, some shampoos/lotions for kids, a changing sheet and wet wipes, which I haven't come across in other hotels we've stayed at (mind you, we don't choose family friendly hotels, so things might be a bit different in hotels specifically aimed at families with kids). Additionally, a nice lady at the reception gifted our child a plush toy, which she was over the moon about. Very well done! Literally right across the road is a park with a fantastic new playground, which is another aspect making this a great choice for families. If truth be told, this was the main reason for our family choosing this hotel instead of a certain other hotel starting with H with great views of the old town rooftops ;) Plus, parking at A22 is way easier. The only downside for me personally were the motion sensor activated lights in the bathroom, which kept going off several times during the shower/bathing procedures so you had to open the door in pitch black and step outside to activate the lights once again. Especially with a baby I can see this being not ideal, luckily my child is a bit bigger and I didn't have to juggle a small baby and a slippery floor it pitch black. I can't recall any other hotel having a similar solution, and perhaps for a good reason :)

Amazing hotel, decor and design are not just for looks, the quality and engineering behind the rooms is to the highest standard. Staff are so professional and helpful. Breakfast is incredible. And old town is only a few minutes away. Overall a stunning boutique hotel with an Impressive history. Rooms are massive and much better than the pictures. Recently we stayed here, and our experience was exceptional. The ambiance was both nice and cozy, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service provided was outstanding, with attentive staff catering to every need, our compliments for the breakfast 🥞. You will choose whatever you want and restaurant offer also specials. One standout feature was the presence of a well-maintained steam room( need reservation before because it’s private for your visit and staff cleans every time after visitors), adding a luxurious touch to the overall experience. Overall, it was a delightful stay that exceeded expectations also good bonus that we like was audio system in rooms.

Visited in Sep 2025 Folkklubs Ala Pagrabs was recommended to us as the most popular bar amongst locals. Therefore decided to pay a visit after dinner. Conveniently located in the old town of Riga, this watering hole is a truly happening place. We tried a few Latvian beers which were quite good. Didn’t try any food as we visited the place after dinner, but there is a proper food menu for those wanting to visit this place for food & drinks. You should surely try the local Latvian beers available on tap here. I would definitely recommend visiting this local watering hole if you want to experience a local bar scene and want to try some proper Latvian beers.

We had such a great time that we went back twice. It was full both times so we ended up at the bar but we had a great time there. They do have great garlic bread but the meal servings are so large that it might be a mistake to order it too. All the food we had was really good, and we tried a huge variety of drinks: the lager tasting flight, hot Riga black balsam in red currant juice (the way to do it), the local moonshine (infused liquor), the burning beer (very good for sipping!), a local cider, and an anise-flavored liquor that was very sweet. Our bartender, Laura, gave a ton of context and suggestions and we were lucky to run into her both times. There was also live music and the atmosphere was great. Great place to eat and hang out for a while. Prepare to be flexible if you don’t make a reservation. It got pretty noisy on Saturday night but not to a bad level.

This place was recommended by our local tour guide. We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant. I ordered the grilled pork ribs in beer marinate and it was hands down one of the best dish I’ve ever had. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender and melted in my mouth. Also our waitress recommended the traditional battered chicken fillet folk club style, which was creamy and juicy inside. We loved their ginger beer (ingwer beer). It was refreshing and a perfect pairing either way our meals. The waitress was incredibly attentive, friendly and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Highly recommend!

Lovely pub with live music every day! Delicious food and huge beer selection! Recommend:) we go here every Wednesday for folk dancing! Definitely try the honey beer while you’re here. If you’re in more than 2 people it’s better to make a reservation as it’s quite popular. And be aware, it is very very warm inside!

Amazing place. A must visit when you come to Riga. We were lucky - that evening there was a live band concert - the performers are unreal, exciting and do not let you be sad. Great place, easy to find, right in the old town. I recommend booking a table during an event - a place to sit is guaranteed. The waiters are nice and helpful, fast. The menu has a large selection - both food and drinks. We tasted everything and shared dishes. The portions are large in my opinion. The food is very, very tasty.

This is a must go place when visiting Riga..!!! Had visited the place for dinner around 7:30 pm and oh boy the place had a fantastic vibe…!!! The staff here is extremely helpful they arranged a table even though the place was full…!! The best part is there was a live band playing songs…!!! we went there for dinner and it is a really nice place. it is self service and there is a vast variety of food, it’s so hard to choose. the food was really good but a friend of mine took a cooked chicken which wasn’t really cooked, it was a bit on the pink side. it is often crowded and you may have to wait a little bit to find a free table. overall, it is very recommended

📍Place: a few steps from the main square, a smaller outlet of the famous chain, more seat on the terrace. 🍛 Food: I only came here for the garlic bread - with a garlic sauce I paid 2 euros which is a bargain, and it was okay. Certainly wasn't fresh out of the oil, but it was made not too long ago and for this price perfectly fine. 👩🏻‍🍳 Service: you collect everything on your tray and pay at the counter either with cash or card. The lady was helpful and patient when I changed my mind from card to cash.

Just a few steps from the main square, this smaller branch of the well-known LIDO chain offers a cozy atmosphere with plenty of seating both inside and on the terrace. Despite being right in the center of Riga, the prices are still excellent, and the place feels relaxed rather than overly touristy. We tried the Solyanka soup for only 2.25 €, and it was absolutely delicious — rich, hearty, and full of flavor. Together with a glass of excellent local beer, it made for the perfect casual meal. The portions were generous, everything was fresh and tasty, and the overall quality was far above what we expected for such a price. The staff were friendly and smiling, and the self-service system worked smoothly — you just take a tray, pick what you like, and pay at the counter. Everything was quick and pleasant. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit — great food, good beer, fair prices, and a nice atmosphere. We left happy and will definitely come back next time!

Our group of 10 enjoyed a late lunch at this mostly-Latvian restaurant. We grabbed our trays and parade thru a selection of 2 soups and I chose the tomato based sausage soup that I had to top with fresh parsley, 🌿 sour cream, and chopped garlic. I chose this over a Russian-Latvian beet soup. I also chose pork kebabs and a traditional grey peas with cabbage. The peas and cabbage was a lot tastier than it sounds. Our chose the kabobs and traditional salads. We passed on the nods to tourists with chicken nuggets. Here we passed thru the line to grab cold and hot beverages. We paid before sitting at outdoor covered tables and chose not to sit indoors in accessible tables Menu items are written in Russian and Latvian sone in English. At the entrance a large posted menu gives items in English also. This is a good option for local favorites in a quick stop ambiance

Fanatic value and the food was delicious. You order "canteen" or buffet style that's includes various local meat dishes, salads and desserts which gives you the ability to try as many dishes as you would like. You can also pour your own beers. Service is also very efficient. I can highly recommend.

Amazing cheap eatery in the centre of Riga old town to try Latvian cuisine. It's all self-service with canteen style food/drinks. The food area seems relatively small, but there's still enough variety, and it's a good place to try a selection of local foods.

Went there for Riga Restaurant week 2024 with my wife and we're both very positively surprised! First of all, by the photos the portions do not look very big, but we got pretty full, so that was not an issue. All the food was truly amazing, pumpkin basket with halva (fudge) is something out of this world! Duck breast was perfectly cooked! The dessert was a bit too sweet for both of us, but still a good one. This place is definitely one of the Riga gems.

B Bars – Riga Bbars restaurant is located behind the Riga Cathedral in Riga Old Town. Because of its location, it seemed more private than many of the Old Town restaurants. They offer indoor or outdoor seating. Bbars offers a superb selection of European and Latvian cuisine. The restaurant is a favorite watering hole for locals. It offers a happy hour, a live DJ, and a fantastic sharing menu. Latvian potato pancake appetizers are an ideal start to a delightful meal. A must-try soup is Bbars Buyabeze soup, a traditional Latvian cold pink beetroot soup. Do not let the color turn you off. For our main courses, I had a generous portion of Baltic Sea squid, and Mary chose the juicy beef steak. Both came with traditional potato cakes and a variety of local vegetables. We were both delighted with our choices. Riga Black Balsam was our dessert, generously provided by the excellent staff at Bbars. Pro Tip: Riga Black Balsam is a powerful Latvian liqueur. We left Bbars in a happy mood.

Great atmosphere and service, full of people on a Saturday night! DJ plays in the evenings! We decided to try 3 appetizers from the menu - salmon tartare with avocado and cucumber salsa, the portion is very good and very tasty! Vitello tonnato simple and great! But the star of the evening was fried squid, so tender, easy to chew and fabulously tasty, only 11 euros!!! I recommend visiting this place ! And Espresso Martini !👏

for a Cuba Libre - rum and cola = 8 euro, taste like it's only coke and ice in the drink - don't come here for a drink, nobody inside the place. it was good in the past, nor anymore. not suggesting to lost your time and money. sadly, but trust

I was so excited to see a Cuban restaurant and decided to have lunch there. Service was pleasant. Mai Tai did not look or taste like a Mai Tai - it tasted like American Hawaiian Punch and did not seem to have much alcohol in it. The Cuban pulled pork sandwich tasted fine, but was not a true Cuban sandwich.

Best cocktails in town, and beyond. Fastest, loveliest waitress in milky way. If you find your cocktail too sweet, she'll get you lemon juice. It's so easy. This place rocks. And most importantly: Try the Papa Doble. You'll want another one. Promised.

What a good bar it used to be. It has gone downhill terribly, especially in terms of service, the bartender is extremely rude. After reading the comments, I realized that this wasn't the first time. We entered in a good mood, and while reading the menu, we greeted the bartender Vladislav . When we were ready and approached him with our order, he simply interrupted us with a condescending face: "Let's start with a hello...". I was stunned; the guy simply didn't hear us greet him and now he's lecturing us. Of course, I've heard that bartenders often think of themselves as the bosses, but I've never personally encountered such rudeness. The cocktails, by the way, are mediocre, and for some reason, they don't give a straw with the Aperol. It's inconvenient to drink. All my discontent instantly vanished when I saw the same bartender staggering out to smoke. This doesn't justify the bad service, but at least it explains his behavior. Draw your own conclusions.

They dance all week long. Cudos to the dancers. Drinks are exspensive but good. No pinball.

My visit to Labietis was in March 2025. It was very busy, obviously very popular. The range of beers were amazing, and I couldn't get over the strength of some of them 🤩. The barman was very helpful, even offering samples before you commit to a drink. The bar snacks were great too, taking the edge off. If I go back to Riga I'd definitely go here again 👍🏻

Lovely and cozy atmosphere with plenty of space both inside and outside. Great selection of beers – both on draft and in cans. We were served by a very friendly and articulate female bartender, and she kindly offered us a few tastings before we decided. The beers and snacks were excellent. If we hadn’t had plans elsewhere, we definitely would have stayed for another round or two. The olives were some of the best I’ve ever had!

This place is a million stars out of ten. The beer (and mead) is utterly sublime - every single one of the seven we tried were stupendously good. Juniper ale, ginger mint, mead… and the absolute star of the show… braggot… all just brilliant. Very very highly recommended indeed. Rye chips good too.

My new, favorite Latvian beer is Labietis. After tasting their offerings in the big market downtown, we decided to trek out to the brewery and check out what else they had available. A cool little section of town, some light snacks and 16 different beers on tap. If you are a beer lover, it is worth the trip. And oddly, they were playing the entire day of one of my favorite albums of 1989, The Sundays “reading, writing and arithmetic”. Very random…

This is such a great brewery. They have a large selection of beers on tap, many of which are very unique, and include beers made using medieval ingredients and techniques. They also have some unique beers infused with herbs.

Went to Riga and missed this place. big regret. Bought two of their beers at the airport since we had a delay. The juniper Red ale, and the Witch of light Bronze age braggot. The juniper was delicious with its crisp light flavor with a hint of tart berry, but the Bronze age braggot was the standout to me. very unique taste of sourness, beer and almost a liqouricy tartiness. very unique flavor. ended up ordering a lot of beers to my home in Denmark from their website. also went without a hitch, they handled all issues like the danish Excise duty so the delivery went without any issues. big respect to this brewery for their innovation and super high quality for a very reasonable price. a must visit for you, and definitely for me when i make it back to beautiful Riga.

Exceptional, high quality, and delicious food. Everything we tried was prepared and served perfectly. I can understand the hype around this restaurant. They are busy, almost all the time. But for a good reason. The sushi was some of the best I've ever tried. Service can be a bit slow, but understandable. Definitely make a reservation well in advance. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My evening at The Catch in Riga was truly exceptional, a delightful exploration of Japanese cuisine. The atmosphere struck a perfect balance – stylish and contemporary yet inviting and comfortable. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and helpful, expertly guiding us through the drink menu and offering thoughtful pairings for our chosen dishes. His recommendations enhanced the entire dining experience. To begin, we shared the Hamachi, Beef Tataki, and Scallops. The scallops were absolutely incredible! They were paired with a butter sauce that was to die for. It was like a symphony of flavors that left me feeling incredibly satisfied. After that, we tried some rolls: Tuna truffle, Spider, Hamachi, and prawns tempura. Each roll was meticulously prepared and bursting with flavor. The prawns tempura stood out. The cocktail selection was equally impressive. I started with the refreshing YuzuZuzu. However, the Electric Bazzer stole the show. This unique cocktail was different from anything I've tasted before, with a secret ingredient that added an intriguing and delightful twist. It's an absolute must-try for anyone seeking a memorable cocktail experience.

Very tasty and fresh food. Dragon roll with eel was our highlight. Good wine selection with afforfable prices. We were there with our 5-year-old, and she was welcomed as a real guest, with menu recommendations according to her taste. Color pencils and coloring pictures were also offered to keep everyone happy. Dogs are welcome, and they get water.

WOW! One word to describe this place. Sushi are THE BEST IVE EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE! Chef has some talent! Prices are not so friendly, but the food.. Service is, on the other hand, normal. We waited about 20 minutes. Atmosphere is cozy. Really small restaurant with good lighting, woodwork, e.t.c. Apart from everything, this is the top 2nd best restaurant i’ve EVER been to. 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was having dinner there during the restaurant week. Very good food and tasty combinations to explore goods from the sea. I appreciate the old fashioned way to get a glass of wine instead the modern device they had that prickled your glass. Other than that all good.

The pacing between dishes needs significant refinement. From the time the amuse bouche was served, it was a whole 20 minutes before the next dish arrived. The dishes were all quite heavy with cream sauce. I would prefer a lighter, thinner consistency. Overall, the dishes lacked creativity. The heavy cream sauces overshadowed any potential for originality.

Well, where do I begin? Let's start with the welcome, which was lovely. We chose the tasting menu, so we started with champagne and some oysters. Then the tasting menu commenced. Each course was delicious, and was supported by the sommelier explaining his choice to accompany the dish. Each selection worked perfectly. This was an unforgettable experience, completely delicious, made even better by the wonderful staff. I can't recommend Barents enough, you won't be disappointed.

Definitely the most exquisite dining experience in Riga. It would be an understatement to say that Barents actually deserves a Michelin star (or even two). The service is impeccable, the food is top-notch. Definitely recommend the chef’s 12-course testing menu. All the dishes were absolutely unique and inspired by quintessential Latvian flavours and ingredients. Would recommend it to anyone, simply 10/10.

The food was good, but somehow not reaching top level of enjoyable or excellent. Except bread, that was the best bread I have ever had and accompanied nicely, and for that alone five stars. I had a la carte three course meal, smoked eel least favourite, venison nice, rhubarb dessert the best of the three and with most interesting taste combinations. I suspect my personal taste differs from the chef's concept, still it was undeniably quality food and an enjoyable meal. The service was good.

If Guide Michelin operated in Latvia, Restorans Barents would certainly be awarded one, if not two, stars! Apart from the impeccable service, both food and drinks were outstanding. We both went for the tasting menu consisting of 11 courses, and started our journey with each one of the recommended aperitif cocktails. The oyster martini was mind blowing! Salty, maritime flavors paired with slight sweetness of the (home-made) vermouth, just perfect. One of the best, and smartest, cocktails I have every tried so far. The dishes served throughout the evening were full of flavor with smart flavor pairings. The idea of the tasting menu is to use all parts of a product, also the ones that may not typically end up on your plate in a fine dining venue. As an example - the dessert contained potato skin and was one of the highlights of the evening. Savory-sweet, crunchy-soft, just delicious and very surprising. We will follow the future journey of this restaurant, and hope that Guide Michelin adds Latvia to their list (now that they added Estonia back in 2022).

The atmosphere is amazing! Definitely worth a visit, I can recommend getting kvas (non alcoholic) even though they don’t have it on tap the bottle is of a great quality! Rose gin&tonic is also a perfect drink if you don’t know what to get 👌🏻

This bar was situated on the corner near our accommodation. We loved it so much we ate here twice. Fantastic atmosphere. The vodka shot that came with this burger was the best I've tasted. The burgers themselves were great. We did have a little wait the second visit but that was because it was busy. Great bar, friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

A cozy, old fashioned gastro pub serving traditional Russian cuisine classics and reasonably-priced drinks. Decoration and atmosphere are pretty cool but our dishes took almost an hour (on a quiet Sunday night) and were just OK when they did - Nothing special. Bottom line: Visit in a group for a fun bar game night and some snacks, just don't do it hungry.

My partner and I really enjoyed this Cafe. €7.50 for the Moscow burger which included a shot of vodka, chips and some gherkins. Nice decor and music. You order at the bar.

This is a pretty place, but like much of the Riga center has lost a lot of tenants. You can still get a nice meal here. There is a nice sized Rimi for foodstuffs. H&M also has a store here. The upper floors are now occupied by a fitness center. Very clean, modern, and large WCs are on floor 7. Great place to kill time, shop for food, grab a snack or complete meal, and get out of the often cold or rainy outside.

Galerija Rīga is a great shopping mall in the heart of Riga. It offers a wide variety of stores and international brands. The atmosphere is modern and pleasant, perfect for shopping. Most importantly, the prices are very reasonable and affordable.

Packed with stores and fashion, mostly for women. Gorgeous rooftop terrace options for cocktails, drinks and food. Massive, fully equipped fitness center/gym available for monthly or 6 month contracts. Nice and easy to navigate on weekdays.

Not too big, but enough for a quick shopping and have some meal.

Expensive parking if you need more than 1 hour, even for EV charging you have to pay for parking as well. Not so popular and good shops as in other bigger malls. So not my favorite for sure.

Prestigious location in the heart of the city, offering panoramic views over parks and rooftops. The food is of excellent quality, though the portions—especially for the business lunch and tuna tataki—are on the smaller side. The matcha-flavoured tiramisu is a standout. Service is attentive and professional. However, the dining experience is let down by the presentation: being seated at a worn table with utensils placed directly on the surface feels careless and unhygienic. A simple upgrade, like adding stylish placemats and improving the table setting, would go a long way. The interior is dark and eclectic—definitely a matter of personal taste.

Stage at the Kempinski offered one of the best overall experiences in Riga. The views over the city were excellent, framed by a setting that was designed to make the most of them. The staff were professional and attentive without being overbearing, and they created a smooth, well-organised experience. The location itself was central and convenient, which added to the strength of the visit. Stage showed the standard you would expect from a hotel of this level, and it was executed properly in both service and atmosphere.

Wow wow wow. This restaurant sits atop the Kempinski Hotel in Riga. We visited in the evening so no view as such but during the day I’m sure the vista would be marvellous. So to the food. It was extremely good. Some of the freshest juiciest oysters I’ve ever eaten. Sweet succulent spider crab. The lobster tail was cooked to perfection. The accompanying bisque balanced yet punchy. Service was genuinely warm and welcoming. Price point pretty reasonable. By no means cheap even by western standards but it was worth every Euro.

I am sorry but I can only report considerable disappointment with this restaurant. We were there on a Tuesday night and there were only 3 other tables occupied. There was no reason for the service to be so poor. The waiters did not scan the restaurant and the only time we got service was when I waved them down, which we should never have to do. Frustratingly there was a compulsory 10% service charge which was the tip for the service. I don’t mind tipping, see my review of Bistro 18 in Vilnius, and when we gave the waiter the tip he said “Are you sure” as we were generous. I like to reward good service. I find compulsory tips result in poor service. I was also disappointed as the wine we purchased was available by the glass or bottle. We told the waiter we would buy the bottle but they charged us by the glass. Why not be honest. Don’t try to screw out every bit of money you can. That is disappointing. Lastly we have lived in Asia for a number of years, so we have a good understanding of Asian food and we also understand what Asian Fusion should be. But it should not be Asian food simplified, the richness and appeal should be there. Two of the meals we ordered were not available. My guess is this restaurant is not what it used to be.

Came here because there was an offer for a Rigas Restaurant Week. 3 course menu for 45EUR + vine menu for 18EUR. Food and vine selection were really good, but a service lacked. We were served by 3 ladies. One didn't speak Latvian (but this is a minor problem). Vine serving wasn't perfect, and waitress poured a wine over a table more than one time - leaving a drops there. Service person were kind and gentle, but a service was a bit sloppy. Wines paired with food came earlier or later. At the end of a meal, we were given a receipt, and it already included a 10% of a tip. We are not in USA, and a tip shouldn't be mandatory. Especially if there is a special promotion, and you are advertising fixed prices. I am a person that usually gives a tip based on experience, but I don't like if it gots asked. This has ruined completely our experience, and will make us not return to this place. Also, a music is a bit too loud and didn't allow freely speaking.

Came for business lunch. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely. Food was absolutely amazing. Pizza may not be 100% italian, but to my taste it was super delicious. The house red wine was great. The coffee macchiato was absolutely disgusting. Omg… We were lucky with service. The prices for business lunch are also really good. The only thing I didn’t like - in business lunch menu the espresso price is 1 Euro. I ordered macchiato ( which is espresso and a bit of milk foam), they charged me extra 50 cents for that small drops of foam. I don’t see how this is fair…

Poor food. Pasta was sent back, as it was hard and no sauce. Simple food with a view. STAFF were not interested in cleaning up, so it was a snack time for the gulls IT seems every restaurant is getting 4.0 It's hard to know where is worth a 4.5

A beautiful, stylish place with a relaxed atmosphere and an incredible view of the historic Art Nouveau building by Eisenstein on Elizabetes Street. Bad experience. Visited Noble Wines as it was advertised on lieliska davana "Rīga Pilsētas dāvanu komplekts" but they did not accept the gift card! The staff seemed dishonest as they said they never accepted the gift cards in the first place and made no efforts to find out why this had happened. Stay away from this place as there are many other better places in Riga to visit.

This relaxed gathering place offers an extensive drink menu. Our group of 5 tried local beers, eldrrberry cider, and lemonade. We also brought our own snacks. Great outdoor setting with accessible tables, some in open air and some under a big umbrella. Indoor seating areas are comfy sofás and we found several people reading indoors so we sat outdoors. Nice evening and relaxed vibe. Great staff

Loved it. If you want a swanky cocktail bar don't go. If you want an artistic, community feel, very chilled, great craft beer, nice afternoon sun and music, go. And your are also supporting local arts by visiting. Sunday afternoon is good because there are some relaxed DJs playing. Don't forget to look up in the beer garden and see the enormous black lion. Super weird. It's not in the old town but do yourself a favor and get out of the old town and meet the people of Riga. They're nice. 😁

It's actually a medium size mall in the city centre. It's was just a nice hide away when the weahther is cold & wet outside. The mall is well maintained & clean, not too much walking required. don't miss the good quality food court on the top floor.

Placed well in the center of the old town. Has a beautiful food hall at the top floor, local and international cuisine. Shops are very limited, there are better options in Riga. Galerija is located behind the cathedral

We recently visited the shopping center with the whole family. I remember when I was a little girl we would come to the department store and our eyes would run wild from the huge number of shops and cafes. What did we see now? A pitiful sight, most of the shops have been liquidated, only a few shops remain, of all this the only thing that pleased us was the cafe on the top floor, a large selection of home-cooked food. It is really sad that such a beautiful historical department store is dying out and no longer attracts many tourists as it used to.

A supermarket with a long history. Well decorated, you can buy clothes and cosmetics, the grocery store is very small, but on the top floor there is a pleasant foodcourt with a wide selection of food and a fantastic view of Riga if you go out on the balcony. Unfortunately, the toilets are worn out in 2025 (but in the foodcourt for the entire crowd only 2 toilets). Beautiful, old stairs.

The bar is extremely nice, the atmosphere is great, and when I visited, Ita, one of the bartenders, was one of the nicest people I've met in the country. The bar takes allergies seriously. The prices are too low to be true (but they are true), and the drinks are delicious. My biggest surprise here is that even though the prices during happy hour are lower than everywhere else, the drinks are extremely well made and Ita didn't cheap out on the alcohol either 😅

This is a wonderful venue. It's intimate and has an entirely unique style, possibly because it's set in cellars that are hundreds of years old and in the historic city centre. There's a large range of Baltic beers and liqueurs and other drinks. The man behind the bar was extremely helpful in recommending different options and we thoroughly enjoyed everything he suggested during the night. It's hidden away but well worth finding the stone archway to enter the courtyard where you will find the steps down into this great bar.

I think this is where the cool kids hang, and the students. My friend said we're too old for this place but I'm not even 30 yet so I disagree! Very relaxed vibe, crazy selection of shooters and the long island ice tea comes in a jam jar. A dangerous drink as they definitely don't skimp on the alcohol! Would recommend this place if you're looking for a cool place for an affordable drink after dinner. :)

I’ve been visiting Taka Spa since it was established in 2006, and the quality has stayed exceptional for almost 20 years. From the moment you step inside, you leave the busy city behind and enter a calm and welcoming atmosphere. Everything starting from the reception, saunas, treatment and relaxation rooms is carefully thought out, and every visit leaves me feeling refreshed and renewed. Great location too: close to the Old Town, the Art Nouveau district, and just a short ride from the airport or station. Don’t leave Riga without visiting this gem! ✨

We booked treatments from the UK and popped into the Spa last week for a full body scrub for me and a lymphatic drain body massage for my wife. The Spa is hidden within an unassuming barrack-like building in a central part of Riga. The interior is very nicely appointed and decorated, the staff all spoke English (which was quite handy) and took great care of us. The vast majority of Spas in London are not willing to offer men a full body scrub so at the Taka Spa it was a pleasant experience for me to be accepted as a person and not to be treated as if I were a contagious leper. Both treatments were professionally and expertly carried out and we were both more than happy discussing the experience over some lovely herbal tea in the plush and comfortably quiet 'recovery room'. Have a look at the Taka web pages. The procedures are not cheap but I believe they provide value for money. The next time I am in Riga I will go again (the chances are I won't find anything in London).

Wow wow and wow. I would give ten stars if I could - for sure the best spa experience I have ever had. We started with the whole spa for ourselves for 1 hour - body scrub, steam sauna, hot sauna, two pools and a jacuzzi. This, followed by a super professional and relaxing body massage. Lastly, a private relax with tea and snacks. All this for only 80 EUR. I would come back any day and recommend to anyone! Located next to a lovely park.

It was AMAZING ..just what I needed and just what I was hoping to have. I opted for the Classic Ritual that included 1 hour at the SPA + the massage. At the SPA, there were other two ladies for the first 15/20 mins but after that I had the whole place for myself which was just amazing. 10 minutes prior to the ending of my SPA hour, I was brought a lovely smelling scrub paste that I used to scrub my whole body. This was followed by a cold shower and then a friendly young lady (I think her name was Malgorzata, apologies if I am wrong) came to take me to the massage room. The massage was great - she made me choose the oil she would use for it, the massage was very thorough and relaxing. Once it was over, I was wrapped in a blanket and taken to a relaxation room where I was served lemongrass tea & cookies. I would recommend this SPA to anyone who wishes to give oneself a couple of hours of pure pampering and relaxation.

Professional service with cosy facilities. I usually do appointment over the email and get reply within couple of minutes. I love there quite room which you go to after the treatment - tea/snacks.. There is small swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna. They use Elemis cosmetics which is high quality British brand. Staff is very nice and professional.

I have never been more relaxed in my LIFE! I went for the absolute spa ritual and it is exactly that. In total it lasted 3+ hours with one hour first spent relaxing in the pool, sauna, and jacuzzi. The two hour massage and facial was heavenly. Plus the customer service was wonderful. If you’re looking to pamper yourself, could not recommend more!

Great atmospfere. Good interior. Coctails are original, but size is a disapontment. They are served in a standard Rum & Coca 0.2ml size glasses. We were group of 5 people, everyone ordered something different, but none of the coctails came in impressive fruit decorsted version as you would get them in some other places.

Was reserved table at 9pm and was confirmed. When we arrived there was "private" party, including people who was working there. Everyone was surprised about our reservation and one of the ladies from that "private" party table came to us saying it is not possible we reserved table, because this place is closing at 10 pm, while in website it's says its closing at 02:00 am. People at this table was very drunk, was saying something to us, screaming. That was very unpleasant experience, after that was not possible to reserve table somewhere else, obviously, because its friday evening. Thank you for ruined friday. Will not recommend to visit this place

Bit overpriced but otherwise modern and classy. Cocktails are unique and constantly changing. I ordered the Red Velvet, but they had run out of cherry juice, so they asked if they could substitute it with strawberry. Amazing service.

Cocktails mixed up with water and quality of those are 5-6 from 10. Knowing the real taste of Old Fashion cocktail, here it was total dissapointment. Food portions are small and prices are quite high, comparing with other restaurants. Not recommending it.
