Granville Island is a unique spot with a lot of character, though my experience was a bit of a mixed bag. As someone with no sense of direction, I found the layout of the island a little challenging to navigate. The network of alleys, industrial-style buildings, and indoor/outdoor market spaces had me doing a few loops! The gloomy, overcast weather that day didn't help, casting a slightly subdued and industrial feel over the place. However, the heart of the island is undoubtedly the Public Market. It's a vibrant hub bursting with life, where I loved wandering past the fantastic food stands and unique artisan stores. The location right on the water is a major plus. Being next to the pier made it incredibly easy for us to take a scenic ferry ride directly to downtown Vancouver, which was a highlight. I arrived fairly early on a weekday, so it was much less crowded than I had anticipated. The downside was that several restaurants were still closed until nearer to noon.

Most Visited It’s easy to see why this place draws so many people — it has that mix of light, sound, and life that just pulls you in. On a sunny day, the waterfront feels golden, with sailboats drifting past and music from the market carrying through the air. The outdoor shops are great for a slow wander, and inside the market there’s food from every corner of the world. And if you love cheese, the little cheese shop is a must.

Sept. 19/25: Haven’t been here for a long time as parking is limited and all pay. It’s too bad because it’s definitely a tourist destination and I’m sure the many businesses would appreciate more parking. The public market is a draw with its vast array of everything gourmand, sights and sounds enticing. Lee’s Donuts is a big draw here, look up for the filled donuts as the brightly coloured iced donuts are displayed in front at people level. Fresh filled cappaletta, fresh basil, variety of cheeses and pastry was purchased. Everything looks very fresh but not light on the wallet.

A lot of unique shops and vendors. Most shops weren't open yet when we came so we couldn't explore much. People there are friendly and welcoming. Some were not. A lot of the souvenir items were pricer than other places in Vancouver.

Granville Island is a wonderful place to spend the day! It has a wide variety of shops, bakeries, and restaurants offering something for everyone. You’ll find everything from toys for kids and pet supplies to handmade jewelry, clothing, unique gifts, crafts, paintings, and more. It’s also home to several theaters, and there are always cultural events happening — like plays, dance performances, and live concerts. It’s a very complete and vibrant place, perfect for locals and tourists alike. Getting there is easy too — whether by car, bus, sea taxi, or even on foot.

As time goes on, I have very mixed feelings about this gallery. It is the biggest one in the city but no student membership is available. I used to be a member, and can no longer afford it. The entry fee is exorbitant so I bought a year-long entry pass to make up for it... I also wonder about the curation. I liked the recent ceramics exhibit but that's because I love ceramics! I felt underwhelmed by the others. My previous visits ~4-5 years ago felt stronger than recent exhibits. Bring in more classical/traditional work, in addition to contemporary, to balance things out. I mean beyond Emily Carr (who is great but shown constantly).

While I live near and visit Vancouver a lot, I hadn’t been to the Vancouver Art Gallery in almost 20 years. The cost to visit is rather high, given the size of the gallery. As a BC resident it was $29. We spent just over an hour visiting the 4 floors. The up escalators were all out of order at the time of visit, though there was an elevator for accessibility. The exhibits were well presented and maintained, though the building was super warm and lacked air flow. The Emily Carr exhibit was definitely the highlight for me.

Visiting the art gallery for the first time was a truly wonderful experience. The exhibition featured a wide range of unique art pieces, including beautifully crafted pot sculptures in various styles and designs. I was especially fascinated by the ceramic sculptures, each one showcasing incredible detail and creativity. The gallery also displayed stunning paintings that captured different themes and cultures. Overall, it was an eye-opening experience that gave me a deeper appreciation for diverse forms of art and cultural expressions.

This is a nice gallery to visit if you have a couple of hours to spare while in town. It is a spacious place with exhibitions from different artists. The content changes during the year so it's good to keep an eye on the venue schedule. This venue is centrally located in downtown.

I must confess that I found myself somewhat underwhelmed. The impressive architectural structure did not seem to house anything particularly captivating or noteworthy. The contemporary and conceptual art installations, while present, did not fully engage my interest. Consequently, I would only recommend a visit if one has already experienced all other attractions Vancouver has to offer.

It’s definitely a smaller gallery and pretty quick to experience, but I loved seeing Otani Workshop’s first NA solo exhibit! It is a bit pricey considering they don’t have permanent installations but still worth supporting and the staff are so sweet here!

Really wish I had read reviews before visiting this place. Someone else described it as one of the least inspiring art museums and I would strongly agree. What made it so much worse was the fact they closed the main stairs, forcing us in loops to get to tiny back stairs. Then, where there were escalators, half didnt work - so time to backtrack around the building through the depressing exhibits of a single barrel of hay. I understand artists suffer for their art - but must I suffer as well?

Absolutely stunning park with plenty of walkways offering different views, all of which are breath taking. The grounds and everything within them are incredibly well maintained and the staff clearly take pride in this, whilst being respectful and polite to visitors. There is a restaurant on site with great food you can enjoy alongside an amazing view of the Vancouver skyline. Highly recommend!

My brother and I used to golf here and play in the snow growing up nearby. The park hasn't changed that much. It is still a lovely place to take visitors and I am hoping to find the artist selling the beautiful Vancouver prints again.

Absolutely beautiful park! First stop on our Vancouver trip and it was well worth the beauty. Please take the time and spend the extra cash to drop into the greenhouse. It’s not expensive and the flowers are amazing. The entire garden is well kept and the artwork made with the flowers is incredible. My only recommendation would be to somehow change the water feature that’s no longer in use. Other than that 1000/10 spot to visit.

It is a beautiful park, great for picking and having the kids run around. It has many other places like the Bloedel Conservatory: a nature and wild life garden, Quarries, and restaurant. Perfect for photo shoot spots, and you can see city from the top of the park. Queen Elizabeth Park's peaceful gardens are great place to spend an afternoon.

I went playing disc golf. The course design is good with a little challenge that there is a basket beside the lake. The lawn is too muddy if there was rain the day before. I like the separate putting area particularly, good for practice. The view from the observation deck is spectacular. You are able to see all the local ski resorts when the sky is clear. Paid street parking on slope is available.

The best time to visit is in late spring to see flower gardens and Japanese Cherry trees in full bloom. The view of downtown Vancouver is nice at any day, although you have to find a good viewing spot because at some places the view is obstructed by trees. If there are no low clouds, you can also see North Shore Mountains, and they are awesome. If you go there by car, you can park under the Quenn Elizabeth P. on a city street for free. Otherwise, in the park, you have to pay $4.25 for an hour.

What a fabulous place to visit. It was my last day in Canada with a late night flight. My friend suggested visiting these beautiful Botanical Gardens. Sadly, not visited by many tourists as it is off their transport routes, when you are restricted to time and transportation. The gardens were easy to find and good parking. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Toilets were clean and tidy. There is a cafe and restaurant on site. We only visited the cafe which is very good, with seating inside and out. A map is ideal for finding your way around the gardens. Laid out in zones and clearly marked, they are stunning. Fantastic variety of plants, trees and shrubs, plus water features. Sadly, due to flight times, we were only able to spend about 4 hours there, I could have spent much longer. Well worth the visit and allow yourself time, you need it.

It’s a really huge garden where you could easily spend several hours if you love exploring every single plant. I got there late since they were only open until 2, so I was rushing to see everything but it was still really beautiful and fun. I had no idea black grass even existed!😅It was my first time seeing it. I believe it’s a great place to visit in every season to see how it changes.🥰

Van Dusen in Vancouver is not as well known as Butchart Garden in Victoria but is not to be missed. It’s a beautiful garden of 55 acres tucked away in the city and also has a maze that is not an easy one to get out of, so if you’re claustrophobic, think twice. It was fun to check out the vegetable garden next to the maze, great for kids. The garden is large enough that even when busy, you’ll find places that are quiet where you can stroll among the flowers and trees. There are 7,500 species! Also great way to spend a summer day to escape the heat. The pathways are fairly level and well maintained so ok for those who may be senior or have difficulty walking. There is a cafe and restaurant on site and a store for souvenirs. Nice stop to include if you’re seeing the University of British Columbia Museum.

If you are in need of a break from your busy life , this is the place. Beautiful gardens , wonderful lakes with beautiful fountains gently rippling the waters surface and if you are lucky like us you will see the Heron catch a fish. Just peace and tranquility. Wonderful manicured lawns , planted beds full of summer colour , fountains, grassy knolls and a restaurant. Four hours of bliss. A good walk round , plenty of labels to help identification, but not too far to ealk. You are never far from the path or the exit. Good coffee lovely herb and cheese scones too. A children's learning area and two restaurants complete the park. However the flowers and shrubs are the winners in my eyes. Endless colours , all beautifully planted to show their best sides. I could go back tomorrow and see something different . We'll done to the staff and the volunteers if I lived nearby I would like to volunteer too. Sorry about my feet in the video .

It was quite a nice park to visit! I think the $20 was quite worth if you are very much into parks and gardens and plants in general. The trees were well maintained and curated. Very nice little sections that harmonize with one another. If you’re lucky enough, do catch the free guides that are done by the volunteers. I managed to tag along with one and it made the trip there all the more worth it.

Beautiful flower and very casual walk around. Great variety of trees and plants. With the shaugnessy restarant next door, it makes for a nice place to spend several hours and wander. Parking is free and it fees uncrowded even during busy times. Plenty of benches everywhere. Be advised during summer camp weeks the maze may be filled with lots of small kids who tear though it with high spirits and lots of excitement.

This is a beautiful and relaxing Classical Chinese Garden. We visited on a recent trip. It was $16 to enter as an adult. Inside we could enjoy the walk and relaxing atmosphere. They offered free tea and there was a room with a few traditional Chinese activities to learn or try. The Garden neighbours a park by almost the same name. The Park is free to enter, and if you were just looking for a taste of the experience, you could do that at no cost. The Garden looks over the pond that is shared by both the paid garden and the free park. Spent about 1 hour total between the 2. The exit is through a lovely gift shop.

It’s a calm and pleasant spot in an otherwise noisy town, but since it’s part of an open-entry park, the house itself doesn’t really justify the ticket price. Inside you’ll only find some Chinese-style furniture—unclear whether authentic or just styled to look old—arranged in a very bare interior with an equally plain garden. If you’ve ever seen original Chinese homes, you’ll find this one strikingly empty; if you haven’t, it may give you a very basic idea of how they look. The most interesting moment had nothing to do with the house at all: I watched a heron catch a fish from the pond right in front of me. It was extraordinary, something I had never seen so close before. That alone was beautiful. Otherwise, don’t bother paying for the entrance. Just walk behind the statue and you’ll enter the park for free. Nothing inside is worth your time.

Visited June 2025. During our walk around Chinatown, we came across this garden. We walked through a store and out the back door and ended up here. This was a great surprise in an overall depressing situation in the area. The garden is very peaceful to walk around and take in nature right in the middle of the city.

A peaceful place to soothe your peace, I visited the park and classic garden (entry fee) . I came here a few days after my dad's funeral. This has serenity away from the city life beyond the walls.

This place was so cute to stop in while exploring Chinatown. A little oasis in what is kind of a rougher part of the city. We just did the public portion, not the ticketed part, but we saw plenty of lovely botanicals and hidden paths and picture spots. Definitely worth a walk!!

Beautiful mature Chinese garden, well designed. Very popular place in the Chinatown area. A wonderfully designed walled garden, an oasis in the middle of the city. Maintenance is pretty decent. Worth the price of admission.

Beautiful, peaceful and free garden access. There's also a paid portion as well that I recommend checking out as the design, building materials and construction techniques are from the Ming Dynasty.

It's an excellent place to visit as long as it's not too busy. On the smaller side compared to other aquariums I've been to but there's lots of small exhibits for the animals they take care of. Definitely recommend visiting on a weekday to avoid the crowds, and if you live in the area, maybe consider buying a yearly membership as it pays for itself after 2-3 visits and the single day passes are very expensive.

A fantastic experience! The staff were really friendly, there is a lot of variety of animals and things to see, plus the facts to each exhibit are really interesting and fun to read! The gift shops are really cool, it is really easy to buy too many things! I would love to visit again

A decently sized aquarium. I would say you can expect to spend up to three hours here. Be sure to catch the Sea Lion show and the 4D movie. As for parking, I was able to get a great spot by arriving about 40 minutes before opening. They actually let us in before the official opening time, which was a nice bonus. I found the aquarium more memorable than the one in Seattle. Being situated inside Stanley Park is also a big plus. As a heads-up, if you’re visiting with multiple people, it may be more cost-effective to purchase a Platinum Membership rather than individual tickets.

An impressive and well designed aquarium featuring a diverse collection of marine life and reptiles. While the building isn’t huge, it’s perfectly sized for an excellent experience where you can explore and learn about different kind of species from around the world.

Fantastic experience! The Vancouver Aquarium is beautifully maintained, educational, and full of incredible marine life. Perfect for families and ocean lovers. Parkind could be tricky on busy days. Plan ahead to spend time and watch every exibit without missing any.

Loved the aquarium! Entrance wasn’t cheap but was able to spend several hours here, could easily spend the whole day here as there’s timed programs like the imax and the wet lab etc.

Located inside Stanley Park, this is a nice aquarium with many animal species. There are many fishes that we had never seen before. Apart from the friendly seals, they don't have anything large or monstrous, if you are looking for that. They keep good care of the animals. Even nook & corners of the enclosures were being cleaned. We were a bit surprised that they are one of the largest as we were done with the tour within 2 to 3 hours, so it's not a day spend.

Would I call it an overpriced tourist attraction? Yes. But if you can look past the cost, it’s a fun experience. There are plenty of food stalls, and while not everything is worth trying, you can always check reviews to see what stands out. It’s more enjoyable to go with a group so you can try more items. Personally, my favorites were the Lamb Noodles from Chef James Co, the Pork Dumplings from Momo's, and the Mango Paradise from Taco Nori Sushi Tacos. The Coconut in a Cup from One Coconut was just okay. As for the Deep-Fried Squid from Squid Feast and the Spot Prawns from Ocean Sweets, BBQ Squid Mix from Lao Er BBQ Squid, they tasted mid. Beyond food, they also have shops and games. I don’t think it’s worth spending money outside of food, but it’s worth a look.

This was my first time at the Richmond Night Market, and it was such a fun experience! I already expected the food to be pricey, so definitely bring plenty of cash. There’s a huge variety of food—mostly Asian cuisine, but we also found a great Mexican food stand. Tons of carnival-style games to try too! Admission is $7 CAD per person, or you can get a fast pass for $35 that covers 5 people. If you don’t have a group for the fast pass, I’d recommend going early to avoid the long lines. They even have a zip line, although it wasn’t open during our visit. Overall, a lively place to eat, play, and explore!

food was really good, much better than expected! stinky tofu was authentic, tasted almost similar to the ones in changsha. fried squid was amazing, so tender and crispy, the people really gave a lot for the size small portion. mango sticky rice was also my favourite! however, the price is just way too high, these would normally be sold at a third/half the price. on top of that, admission fee is pricey, which makes you want to spend more in the night market to get your money’s worth… fun experience but probably wouldn’t go back because of the prices!!

Weapons and family time? No thank you. You have to pay to get in, and once you’re in you’re faced with overpriced street food, overpriced carnival games, cash-only sales AND high caliber weapons sold in the open, right in the middle of the park. There is something really strange about a market (night or day) that promotes friendly family time with children games and arcades and at the same time allows the sale of assault rifles and semi-automatic guns under a tent right in the middle of everything. We were left wondering what audience is this park really trying to attract? They have a zip line (overpriced as everything else on the park) which at least makes it “fun” for kids to watch and young adults to enjoy, and then they have bouncy houses literally aimed at kids, and they also have carnival games (also overpriced) which you may argue are for all ages, so that’s fine, but who are the high caliber weapon sales for? Are those also cash-only? I wouldn’t know because it made us so uncomfortable, we left in less than an hour. Sketchy place. Management really needs to decide what image they want to have and what audience they’re trying to reach. You can’t attract families and friends enjoying some wholesome time together or young couples on a date, and at the same time attract those who are in the market for a high-caliber weapon sold at night potentially on the down-low in a makeshift market by an industrial zone. That’s just weird.

I went to the Richmond Night Market for the first time (I am from US) and it was a great experience!! It is way better than night markets in the states. The only long line was to get inside. Once we were in, we waited no longer than 5 minutes in a line and the food came out really quick! It’s so much cheaper than US food festivals as well so we were able to try a bunch of different things for a good price. I would 100% come again. It was well worth the drive.

I’m sad it took me 3 trips to Vancouver to finally go to the Richmond Night Market. It was quite a long line to get in at 1900, but it only helped my appetite. We got a free lobster hat upon entrance which delighted my niece. We ate at several different stalls. My favorite was the toasted mochi and the mango sticky rice!

A long time has passed since I last visited the Richmond Night Market. I was impressed by the significant improvements since my last visit a few years ago. The quality of the products has improved, and there are now more games and bigger food stands. There are even activities for kids, such as a bounce castle and a zipline. Among all the food, the Korean BBQ chicken skewers stood out. They came in four flavors, and I tried two of them: a sweet and savory sauce and a galbi flavor. It was a shame they were sold out the second time I visited, and I couldn't get more. I also remember the Dubai chocolate-covered strawberry cups from the dessert section. I wish this was a menu item at a cafe near me! The market runs every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m., from May through October. The lines get incredibly long, so you must buy a Zoom Pass! The regular admission is $4.75, while the Zoom Pass costs $28.00 for six entries. Since it's unlikely you'll go six times alone, you can offer to share the pass with friends, family, or even other couples or families in line. They'll likely be happy to join you and get through the express lane without the long wait.

This place was amazing 👏 So many hands on things to do. We went with an 8, 7, 6 & 3 year old, they all enjoyed a full afternoon there. Admittedly the adults also very much so enjoyed themselves. We went during the week so it wasn't busy at all, that was nice. Now we could have spent HOURS in the massive Lego area!! But I did move the children along 😆 We spent 3 hours, again when not busy that was the perfect amount of time. We've been to science museums in Winnipeg, Regina, and in the states, this so far was the best!

in the summer they have science world after dark for adults with drinks, totally worth it but it’s just few days. it’s a great museum and has something for everyone. parking is sufficient and close, and outside you have park, playground and the false creek

I went to the Cirque Masquerade Ball Halloween Party held at/in Science World. At first, I was totally amazed that such an event could be held in the Science World, based on the size of the event. However, when I attended the event, I realized how big Science World facility truly is. It was a super-amazing venue that seemingly had no difficulty whatsoever to accommodate such a big event. It is such a beautiful facility that accomodated such a large event. I enjoyed meeting several new people, that were very friendly and outgoing similar to myself. I highly recommend it as an awesome place to go to events or venues. I look forward to attending more events that might be held there.

My family of 5 had a great time here. Spent almost 4 hours running around, and we didn't even make it to everything. We loved Molly of Denali, we did lego building, had lunch at Triple O's. The staff was friendly. I would say overall this was a great activity, looking forward to coming back

I had always heard great things about Vancouver’s Science World, so we came with high expectations — and it did not disappoint! The exhibits are fun, interactive, and educational. My son spent the whole day exploring with endless enthusiasm. A fantastic place for families with kids — highly recommended!

Science World — the giant shiny golf ball that Vancouverites pretend is an educational hub but secretly visit just to poke buttons and spin wheels like overgrown toddlers. It’s a paradise for kids, sure — they run around with wide eyes and sticky hands, discovering the wonders of human anatomy and physics. Meanwhile, adults try to look intellectual while discreetly racing toy cars powered by wind turbines. The exhibits about the human body are fascinating — nothing like realizing how many ways your organs can betray you to make you appreciate science. Between the illusions, experiments, and the occasional “Did you know?” that makes you question your life choices, Science World is both enlightening and humbling. In short, it’s the perfect place to remind yourself that you don’t actually understand gravity as well as you thought you did.

A great interactive museum for kids under the age of 10. I would highly recommend to get a membership in your hometown because you will get in free. We bought a membership in Edmonton and reaped the benefits today (bypassed the large line and got in free).

Nice beach, crowded during weekends in summer. Can be noisy with people that don't respect the noise by-law. Great if you like the crowd and noise like in Mexico beaches. Beautiful sunsets.

Kitsilano Beach is one of Vancouver’s most popular waterfront destinations. On sunny weekends, it fills up with both locals and visitors eager to enjoy everything it has to offer. It’s not just a place for a relaxing walk—many people come here to swim, surf, play beach volleyball, ride bikes, play tennis or basketball, jog, or simply enjoy the outdoors. There are several parking areas along the beach, and if you’d like to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the nearby rental stations. Picnic tables are available in various spots, so you’re welcome to bring your own food and enjoy a meal by the sea. There are also playgrounds for children and outdoor showers for rinsing off after a swim. Public restrooms are available for convenience. There are multiple ways to get to Kitsilano Beach, but let me share my own route—it’s quite simple. First, take the Canada Line to Olympic Village Station. Just outside the station, catch the #84 bus. Depending on traffic, the ride takes about 10–15 minutes. Get off at Yew Street. From there, walk straight down Yew Street—don’t turn anywhere—and it will lead you directly to Kitsilano Beach. A small tip: Even if it’s sunny, it can get windy at times, so bringing a light jacket might be a good idea.

Don’t be like us who didn’t see that you had to pay for parking. We didn’t see the sign and ran straight to the beach as soon as parked our car lol. It was worth it tho ($69 parking ticket). We loved it here, there is a basketball court and plenty of volleyball nets to play with. Sunset view is so nice, we sat on one of the logs scattered all over the beach. Would definitely come back and will pay for parking next time haha

Kitsilano Beach or as the locals call it "Kits Beach," is one of Vancouver’s most popular spots - and for good reason. The beach offers beautiful views of the mountains and downtown skyline, making it a great place to relax, watch the sunset, or go for a walk. The vibe is always lively, especially in the summer - lots of locals playing volleyball, jogging, picnicking, or just soaking up the sun. There’s a grassy area for lounging, a great walking path, bike path, and even an outdoor pool nearby. Restrooms are clean and have running water. One of the best spots in the city for people-watching, chilling, and enjoying nature with urban energy.

A popular waterfront beach near Vancouver. Great spot to chill, but try to avoid the busy season as it can be grossly busy. Dawn and dusk are the best times for the vibe. Midday...maybe, but real beach goers know it's dawn and dusk that are It. Pleasant sounds from the water, great breeze. Be mindful of any potential warnings of water quality.

A lovely stretch of golden sand that calm (but very cold water), lapping the shore, the beach area is very popular with locals, sun baking, and playing beach volley ball.

Lots of Canada Geese groups can be seen at close quarters, but be careful to maintain safe distance so as not to annoy them, they are capable of causing consideble annoyence in return. And in the last, quite picturesque place especially when sunny, so do remember to carry your heavier camera in place of clicking through phone only. You will be handsomely rewarded.

Interesting local museum! Lived in the lower mainland my whole life but visited for the first time as it was included with a book talk I attended. Really enjoyed it and learned many valuable things. I had visited previously as the price seemed a little steep for the size of the museum. However, it’s well curated and has some growing and meaningful Indigenous exhibits, which was great to see.

A great visit! The featured chair exhibit was my favourite, I had no idea so much history could be shared from chairs! The permanent exhibits walk you through the decades, and are extremely interesting and beautifully organized and we'll put together to make a great experience. Highly recommend the visit!

My Dad and I enjoyed our visit to the Museum of Vancouver. We learned so much about the history of the indigenous people of the area and the history of the city of Vancouver and the people that built and make up this vibrant city. The museum itself is laid out in a logical manner between the galleries and is accessible. The galleries are well researched and organized. The art and photographs displayed definitely are great points of references to learn more and understand better the city of Vancouver. This is an excellent museum for an visitor to Vancouver to explore!

A museum dedicated to the history and lifestyle of Vancouver city, it houses the items from yesteryears in chronically arranged way to give a peek of way of living in city through the periods. Entertaining and informative, recomoneded for choldrens and adults alike. There are vending machines downstairs but during my visit, none of them worked, taking payment but not dispensing and returning the amount. The desk was also not helpful in resolution, telling that if the item is not dispensed, the amount will surely refunded. There are no eateries around, nearest being 10~15 mins walk, so prepare accordingly. Also nearest public transport stops are 12 mins away. Parking is easy though. Washrooms are conveniently located and usable.

Came here as a tourist taking the bus. Arrived around 6pm today but found the walking path very dark that I wasn’t sure if there really was a museum in there. I still went through the path which is about an 11 min walk. As I reached the lobby, the vibe didn’t seem to be welcoming, lights dim, place looked old. Wasn’t sure if it’s worth the price, maybe if it was free I’d go. Anyway I decided not to, just walked back to the bus stop and called it a day.

Good local history museum, with special exhibits on rotation (we were there for a "chairs" exhibit). Perhaps a touch pricey for the duration of the stay (this tipped me from 5 stars to 4), but we enjoyed it all the same.

This is an older building with a retro futuristic design like stepping into an architect’s vision of the future from decades ago. It’s very well maintained, and the planetarium dome experience is truly fantastic. The seats show a bit of wear, but nothing that affects the enjoyment. It’s a little pricey, yet absolutely worth visiting. Many people confuse the Dome with the Museum of Vancouver, but they’re not the same. They share the same building in Vanier Park, but the Museum of Vancouver occupies most of it, while the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre runs the planetarium inside the dome.

Such a great attraction this is! Family friendly, informative and absolutely stunning views. We loved the information cards placed right by the view. Children enjoyed this experience more than the adults. The staff were very well trained, they kept the facility spotless and well organized.

First time visit here as visited Vancouver couple times. Great view for 360 degree view of all the directions of the city, in a sunny day. Drawback is they will close before sunset, so you cannot come for a night view. But probably they are worried about the safety in downtown for that.

That was sooo exciting when you go up in the very quick glass elevator about 130 meters high, or actually 168 meters above sea level! You can see all of Vancouver’s attractions from above. Inside, there are pictures of different Vancouver spots with their history, and there’s even a QR code you can scan to listen to the guide. Highly recommend it!

We didn’t get time to go to grouse mountain so decided to do the lookout. Cost is approx $44 for two. It was ok. Not much atmosphere at the top but there are markers for each site/building etc. it was cool being in the elevator outside. I wouldn’t say it’s a must do.

The Vancouver Lookout definitely lives up to its name—you get a mostly great panoramic view of the entire city. It’s a beautiful way to get your bearings and take in the skyline, mountains, and water all at once. That said, the ticket prices are pretty steep for what is essentially a quick experience. I give them bonus points for the thoughtful touch of having stepstools for little kids so they can actually enjoy the view too. I’ve done it once and it was lovely—but at that price point, I don’t feel the need to do it again. Worth checking off your list, but maybe not a repeat visit.

If you’re a first-time visitor to Vancouver or keen on getting a quick, immersive city overview—especially with different lighting by day and night—the Vancouver Lookout is worth a stop. For seasoned locals or those watching the budget, you may choose to simply admire the skyline from street-level rooftops or nearby drinking spots.

Recommend! Definitely try the rotating restaurant! The portobello mushroom soup is so decadent! Thick and earthy!

Absolutely magical experience! The Candlelight concert at Christ Church Cathedral in Vancouver was breathtakingly beautiful. The intimate setting, combined with the soft candlelight and stunning acoustics, created a truly unforgettable atmosphere. The performers were incredibly talented, and their passion shone through in every note. If you're looking for a unique and enchanting experience, look no further than this concert series. Highly recommend! 5 stars isn't enough - I'd give it 10 stars if I could! 😍🎶

We loved the concert at Christchurch Cathedral. The sanctuary is absolutely gorgeous and I love the reminder of Christ’s love through the stained glass windows.

Beautiful venue to see Coldplay by candlelight. Was magic. Reminded me of being in Europe with the wooden ceilings. Stain glass and iron interior buttresses. I would love to see the church host more events for music of many uplifting styles across cultures so it could be a place to unite everyone.

Caught the Candlelight Tribute to Coldplay at Christ Church Cathedral on Burrard Street, and it was magical. The Gothic cathedral, glowing with hundreds of LED candles, set the perfect vibe. The Listeso String Quartet nailed Coldplay hits like “Yellow” and “Fix You,” with the acoustics making every note soar. Highly recommend—5/5 stars!

✨ Just got back from Candlelight: Vivaldi’s Four Seasons & More — and I’m still in awe. The whole evening felt magical: a beautiful venue glowing with hundreds of candles, live musicians playing with so much emotion, and Vivaldi’s music filling the room.

The tribute to Hans Zimmer was an unforgettable experience. The music was absolutely stunning, and the musicians did an incredible job bringing his compositions to life. The soft, warm lighting created a cozy and magical atmosphere, adding to the overall charm of the event. It was a beautiful and captivating evening.

I can never get enough of the tourist trap stops in Vancouver. Granville island is always a favorite. We love walking the island or taking the water taxis up into the harbor and walking back to Granville or taking another water taxi back. The water, architecture, and views are amazing. I love this city. Truly one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

A must when you visit Vancouver, so many shops, stores, restaurants and the food court is fabulous. You can try seafood, cheese, cured meats, sandwiches, savory pies, fruit pies and breads and pastries to to mention iconic fish and chips. There is also a deck that has musicians so nice place to relax and enjoy your goodies. The shops feature local artist and have specialties such as a lavender and goat milk body care shop, art by First Nation people as well as jewelry and local crafts showcased. Although called Granville Island you can drive there. There are also fun tourist ferries to take if you want to give the kids a treat!

Granville Island Market is such a beautiful spot to explore, full of colors, fresh food and local art. It’s definitely expensive, so most people just walk around and enjoy the atmosphere rather than buying much. Still, it’s one of those places that feels worth visiting at least once.

An old industrial community has been renewed as a public market area! 1. If you wanna walk from BC downtown, Google map will play with you. It will say it will take only 15-20 mins to get there but it is only true if you are brave enough to jump off the bridge which is nearly 30m high. Take a bus, or rainbow ferry. 2.market offers small community of shops. Some good, some.... I would say ok. 3. Small food court is there but hard to find a seat so be quick about it if you do not have strong legs. This place is worth visiting especially knowing the history of it. Will be more crowded if you can access there from the bridge by walk without killing yourself.

Lively and colorful spot with so much to see, taste, and take in. The food stalls are full of fresh local produce, baked goods, cheeses, seafood, and snacks from all over. It’s fun just walking through and taking it all in. The smells, the sounds, the mix of people all add to the experience. Great place to grab a bite, pick up something unique, or just enjoy the atmosphere by the water. Feels like a little world of its own.

Granville Island Public Market is a fantastic spot, especially for tourists looking to explore something unique. It offers a wide variety of specialty foods, fresh produce, local art, handmade crafts, and other one-of-a-kind items. As a local, I like to visit occasionally, either to see what's new or to bring friends visiting from abroad. The atmosphere is vibrant and enjoyable, though dining in the market can be a bit challenging. It’s often very crowded, especially during peak seasons like summer when cruise ships dock at Vancouver Waterfront, or around major holidays like Christmas and New Year. Finding a seat can be a bit of a dilemma. You're often stuck deciding whether to grab food first or find a place to sit. Parking is another downside. It’s expensive and limited. If you plan to stay for a while, public transit is definitely the better option. Despite a few inconveniences, it's a lively and memorable place that many people will find interesting and worth visiting.

The marina is beautiful, with rows of sailboats and kayaks lined up against the sparkling water, creating a picturesque and relaxing scene. A great park space is nearby where people gather to sit on the grass, picnic, or just take in the view, perfect for unwinding on a sunny day. Granville Island Public Market is the real highlight. It offers a fantastic selection of fresh seafood, baked goods, and artisan products, making it an ideal spot for dinner or to stock up on unique treats. There are also plenty of little shops and galleries to browse through if you’re in the mood to shop for local crafts. If you’re looking for a bit of adventure, there are harbor cruises and even seal tours departing right from the marina, adding a fun and memorable experience to your visit. This area is a gem, full of vibrant energy, great food, and stunning scenery. Highly recommend spending an afternoon or evening here!

Robson Street is one of the busiest and most beautiful streets in downtown Vancouver. It’s filled with all kinds of restaurants, clothing and shoe stores, as well as beauty shops. Anyone visiting Vancouver should definitely check out this street. It has a great vibe, especially in the spring when the weather is cool and refreshing.

A really beautiful park just a few minutes by walk from campus. I love the vegetation and the fact it is full of blackberry bushes you can just pick and eat. The trails are easy to follow. I wish I would have more time to explore the full area.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Pacific Spirit Regional Park, located in UBC, and I must say it is a truly stunning park. It's the perfect place to take your furry friend for a walk and enjoy the serene surroundings. The park offers a variety of trails suitable for walking, jogging, and even running, catering to different preferences and fitness levels. As you explore the park, you'll come across majestic old trees that add to the park's charm. If you prefer a change of scenery from the lush greenery, you can head towards the seaside, which provides an ideal spot for a delightful picnic. With the current weather, it's the perfect time to indulge in some barbecuing or even sunbathing. Pacific Spirit Regional Park is a vast and beautiful park that offers a tranquil environment to relax and appreciate the breathtaking nature of Vancouver.

A comprehensive review for dog owners, cyclists, walkers, and parents! Pacific Spirit Park is an oasis within our city. DOG OWNERS: this is heaven on earth for dogs! There are many off leash trails to choose from, all of them are clearly marked at the junction points. Please note that Park Rangers frequent the off leash trails because your dog must be under your complete control when off leash; meaning they have no aggression issues and have excellent recall. I have seen fines issued to pup parents who should not have had their pups off leash, they are steep! For dog owners with pups that don’t have good recall, or have anxiety/aggression issues: there are many leashed trails to choose from and these are the safest for your pup and for all the dogs enjoying the park. If you are working on off leash manners or recall with your pup who is anxious/aggressive I would highly consider you choose to muzzle them for their safety and for the safety of everyone else. I have personally witnessed several dog attacks within the park, where the dog parent of the anxious/aggressive dog never thought their dog would take it as far as an attack; but this park has a lot of foot traffic, a lot of dogs and it’s a lot of stimulation for a dog who’s trying to work through these issues. CYCLISTS: this is NOT the park for you if you want to feel like you’re mountain biking. ALL of the cycling trails are shared with dogs and pedestrians. I have witnessed a cyclist who was going way too fast for this environment and took out a toddler stumbling along the path. It was horrible to witness and awful for both the parents of the very hurt child and for the cyclist who felt embarrassed at how insanely fast they were going. I have also seen cyclists going way too fast downhill and fly off their bikes because a dog appears on the path from being in the woods, again this is not the place for ‘mountain biking’ type of cycling. Having said that, it is a great place to take your children or enjoy the park yourself for a beautiful scenic ride. There are many trails that bikes are allowed on and they all connect to main roadways so no dismounting is needed. WALKERS: this is probably one of the most beautiful parks to walk through. Some of the trails are breathtaking in all seasons. If you are someone who is afraid of dogs: stick to the leashed paths. If dogs make you scream, jump, hide behind trees, or people, the off leash trails are not for you. This behaviour is not fair to anyone trying to have a nice relaxing walk with their pup who is behaving perfectly normal, but are simply just walking past you. WALKERS WITH MOBILITY ISSUES: there are many paths in the park that have rough terrain, tree roots sticking out, plus dogs who are off leash either running or walking with their owners. If you are someone who needs assistance when walking, it is safest to stick to the Powerline Trail. It is nice and wide, tightly packed with gravel and has fences on both sides for extra assistance. PARENTS: this is something so magical to share with your children within Vancouver. However, on a busy sunny day it can be packed. If your children are not used to animals, stick to the leashed trails. Dogs are curious creatures by nature and will approach to smell, especially small children, it’s completely normal behaviour and they keep walking after but having a screaming parent run towards their child ‘fearing for their life’ is not conducive to a peaceful environment. If you are trying to expose your children to dogs, this is the place to do it! I have had countless lovely experiences with parents who ask if my dog is friendly enough for their child/toddler to approach (he is the gentlest dog ever) and they have had an opportunity to pet and cuddle and play with him and everyone walks away happy! This park is a MUST DO in Vancouver!

We logged close to 5 miles just in a fraction of the park - it is a huge place! Locals take full advantage of the trails for juggling, walking, with dog or on bike. It is a cool place to exercise and relax on hot summer days.

Huge park! A lot of trails in the park, mostly leash optional, and some are leash-required, and most of trails are in the shade, you can make it a long or short walk as you like! Very well maintained and well marked! My dog loved it!

I love here, the beautiful nature, toilet, picnic table, pristine and secluded beach, as well as the beginning of the Wreck Beach, and free parking lot, it's perfect for a picnic, relaxing, and walking with pets and children.

Great park in the middle of the city. Easy trail of 20 min walk to direction (there are steps in there). Than you arrive to the beautiful beach. There is a grass field for nice picnic. Highly recommended. Free parking on the street for 2 hours.

Wonderland of trees and wildlife!! The seawall is spectacular and a perfect place for a daily dog walk, run or bike ride. Even rollerblading is permitted! A few restaurants are located within the park’s boundaries and one gift shop. I love this place so much and highly recommend visiting. You could spend days just exploring the trails and sights.

An incredibly beautiful park at the tip of downtown Vancouver, perfect for a run or a walk after work. The seawall (the path around the park by the water) allows for many different sceneries from the Vancouver skyline to the harbour or the ocean. A must visit during your stay in Vancouver, BC, that's for sure! And don't miss Prospect Point Lookout for one of the best views of the Lions Gate Bridge and West Vancouver 😊

Every time I walk through the park, I find something new to enjoy and marvel at—it’s truly a magical experience.

My favourite spot in Vancouver! Absolutely gorgeous park, with so many species of trees, birds, insects and fish; trails and stuff to do inside; and such a clean, organized, and well-maintained park too! Can easily spend a whole day here just walking around, or renting a bike and going for a scenic ride along the seawall. A must for every person that visits here.

It’s a huge park and a fantastic place for families with activities to enjoy. Make sure to grab a map from the info centre when you arrive. It helps to navigate the area. You can walk or rent a bike. We ended up spending around 3 hours there. One of the highlights was the carriage horse ride that took us around the park for about an hour. It was a wonderful way to see the sights and scenery.

English Bay is awesome for walks, jogs, chats, or just chillin' on the benches to watch the sunset. It's nice all year, but summer is the best! The sunsets are amazing. It's a great beach for everyone.

English Bay is a beautiful place to relax by the water and enjoy the views. I came during the fireworks festival, and it was such an amazing experience — the atmosphere was lively, and the show was spectacular.

English Bay Beach is a beautiful and relaxing place to visit in Vancouver. Whether you want to sunbathe, swim, or watch the sunset, this beach has something for everyone. You can enjoy the views of the ocean and the mountains, or stroll along the Stanley Park Seawall, a popular running and biking route. You can also find various activities and events at the beach, such as the Polar Bear Swim, the Celebration of Light, and volleyball. There are plenty of amenities nearby, such as restaurants, cafes, and public washrooms. English Bay Beach is a great destination for a day out with family, friends, or yourself. You will feel refreshed and rejuvenated after spending some time at this lovely beach.

I had a chance to visit English Bay and I must say this is a very nice and clean beach. Clear sand, clear blue sea and fresh air make me feel very relaxed and comfortable. If you are looking for an ideal location for relaxation, English Bay will be a great choice. Not only is it a beautiful natural space, it also has shops, cafes and restaurants nearby for you to enjoy food

In addition to the lively ambiance, there are various rides and souvenir shops to explore, making it a vibrant destination. Walking to or taking a ride share service is best since I didn't see any parking areas.

Place du Canada is an impressively large and beautifully designed public space right in the heart of Vancouver. The area is open, welcoming, and very well laid out, making it easy to walk around and explore. It’s a truly pleasant attraction, whether you’re visiting for the first time or stopping by again. There’s always something happening here—events, activities, or just the natural buzz of people enjoying the space. It feels vibrant and full of life, yet still comfortable enough to relax and take in the surroundings. The mix of scenery, atmosphere, and things to do makes it a great place to spend some time. Overall, Place du Canada is definitely worth a visit if you’re in Vancouver.

Canada Place is iconic and you’ll see the seaplanes, cruise ships and famed whale statue and Olympic Cauldron. Perfect place to walk along the harbor, shop and enjoy the many restaurants. It’s usually busy given that it is by the convention center and many cruise ships dock in the area. There is also a very fun ride, FlyOver Canada that will make you feel that you are actually flying, suspended in air with an aerial and jaw dropping views of Canada. Nice activity if it’s a rainy day.

Last week was my first cruise and was pleasantly surprised how easy and efficient it was at Canada Place to drop off our luggage and proceed to get on board our ship. We walked by the day before our ship left to get a lay of the land (walking down toward the luggage drop off) and ended up taking an Uber the day of (overpackers, lol) and got down to the drop off very quickly.

Went to the Bill Reid Gallery on the first Friday of the month. It is free from 2-5pm. I love the display and explanation of the traditional style of drawing with the symmetry. I would go again and explore once more when I visit Vancouver

Staff are welcoming, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions, which adds to the overall experience.

This is an amazing gallery. They have such great exhibits here. I only wish they had more space to show off the incredible Indigenous talent.

This place is incredible. The art just blows your mind with the beauty and quality. The admission price is cheap but the exhibits are priceless. Such a small price to pay to see such beautiful artwork. Bill Reid Gallery has to be in the top three things to do in Vancouver.

Stunning art gallery with a very cute gift shop. The art work is stunning and very educational for all ages.

Small but powerful. The space is intimate, which lets you really focus on the details of Reid’s work and the broader Indigenous art showcased. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the rotating exhibits often highlight emerging artists. Downsides? It’s compact—don’t expect to spend more than an hour—and the gift shop feels pricey. Still, it’s a meaningful stop if you’re into Haida art or want a quieter cultural experience downtown.

Trail Series, Part 40 Running was never meant to be easy, so many runners choose a phrase to help motivate them. Some of my favorites include: “No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everybody on the couch”; “I don’t run to add days to my life, I run to add life to my days”; “The miracle isn’t that I finished. The miracle is that I had the courage to start”; “My sport is your sport’s punishment”; “This isn’t sweat, it’s liquid awesome”; and “Do it for the post-run snack”. It was during a recent run along the Stanley Park Seawall Path in Vancouver, Canada, that I discovered a different motivational technique. Rather than repeating a single phrase to keep you going, how about excitedly striding from one motivational expression to another? You see as this trail winds itself around magnificent Stanley Park, it is replete with benches adorned with a seemingly endless number of deeply personal plaques that broadcast both remembrances and some pretty keen life advice. I stopped more than 150 times during my run and I’d estimate that I photographed only 50% of the benches that are available to enjoy. 🤯 My favorite plaques include: “What a beautiful difference one single life made”; “To the world you were just one, to me you were the world” 🥹; “She lived for those she loved, and those she loved remember”; “How small a part of time we share”; “People and places have touched me so, left a mark on my mind, heart & soul. This is the spot highly recommended to get the best downtown Vancouver skyline views from. The spot is easily accessible by foot, on bicycle, or by driving on a vehicle. The views both at sunrise, during the day, and at sunset are really worth the visit. There are quite a few other landmarks and attractions on this side of the Stanley Park as compared to the other side. A paid parking lot is close by, while on foot this point is barely a 15 minute walk from the closest bus stop. A must visit spot whenever in downtown Vancouver.

The seawall is always a joy to explore—whether on foot, bike, or a casual jog. It features some of the most scenic views of downtown, framed by lush greenery and waterfront. The path is well-equipped with restrooms, benches, and parking, making it an easy and comfortable outing. I suggest biking the full loop at least once to take in the diverse views—cityscape, North Shore mountains, ocean, and beaches all in one ride.

I visited during the Firework festival. Very lively place. Huge crowd. Lots of activities around. Probably wanna visit during calmer day and see the beach. Anyway, it's a well organized event with beautiful drones and fireworks. Easy transportation using public transportation. Not sure about parking. I love the sunset and mountains behind it.

English Bay. A fantastic view of the bay, the Pacific ocean, and False Creek with recreational boats moored and going back and forth along with ship / freighters waiting to load and unload. What a view at anytime of the day but especially spectacular as the sun sets. Added to this is the delicious ice cream served on the beach by: "Rain Of Shine ICE CREAM" Great ice cream, great crew!

It's a beautiful beach that attracts many visitors all the time! Take a walk; it's lovely! People play volleyball near the beach, hang out, and relax. Cactus Club Café is right in front of it. Even at 1 am you'll see lots of people around!

My first time here. Free admission today because of Family Day and glad we came. It is way more interesting and expansive a museum than it looks. I found it all to be very interesting. The wait to get onto the RCMP ship took a while even though we arrived only half-an-hour past opening, but it was worth it. The other display rooms past the gift shop are also worth checking out.

The Maritime museum is a good place to visit, it doesn’t take long it’s small. You can tour the St Roch, an RCMP schooner. There are lots of interesting displays and a kids play area. There is accessible parking with a ramp behind the building that leads to an accessible automatic door. There are toilets available.

Wonderful way to spend a rainy day. Brought a 3 year old here and he had a blast. Great children’s area with amazing costumes, the large RCMP boat was a hit and steering a boat so much fun. Had to pull him away but the pirate eye patch helped get him out the door!

This would be my favourite museum out of the 3 in the that location. There was a lot more to see than I expected. Going onboard the St. Roch boat was really cool. If you like scale model boats you’ll be in heaven. They are incredible. Lots of things to interact with. Plenty of history to read. Absolutely loved it.

A museum dedicated to seafaring equipment and life of soldiers or seamen. It includes a whole police (RCMP) patrolling boat named St. Roch deployed in active sea for 20 years, built in 1928 at Vancouver and having many firsts like circumnavigation around north america through panama canal and navigating the northwest passage in a single season in both directions along with being first to travel the northern deep water route. It has been declared national historical site. Apart from this, the museum houses numerous items of navigation and marine travel to give a glimpse of yesteryears as well modern times. Worth visiting, there is small setup to sell icecream and beverage inside. The ticket prices however are not justified, on Sundays you can enter on donation basis which could be cheaper.

Fantastic place for people (especially children) who love all things to do with seafaring exploration! There are lots of interactive spaces, which certainly help kids engage and learn :) The highlight of the museum is definitely the massive RCMPolice St Roch!

A fun place to get a feel for some of Canada's maritime history. Not very large so recommend to combine it with a visit to the space center if you are looking to fill a day.

Had a great experience on sunday, we were lucky enough to see a rare group of orcas, humpback whales and sea lions. Our guide, Belu, was very knowledgeable and I learnt a lot about what we were seeing. The facilities are also nice on the boat, with complimentary tea/coffee/hot chocolate on board

The whole experience was awesome, we got lucky and we saw a lot of whales. We also saw sea lions and eagles. The crews was very nice with us, the guy at the last day of training (sorry I am bad with names) was super helpful with questions and curiosities. Tour in May the 28th at 8:30

It was great. The tour guide had such great personality and really made the trip. It was alot of fun. Great for couples and families.

Absolutely fantastic. Brilliant, knowledgeable and friendly staff. We were lucky to see an Orca pod and watch them for some time. We also saw sea lions, seals and eagles. The catamaran is brilliant with toilets and complimentary beverages. Plenty of space for everyone to sit either inside or outside. There was quite a swell on the water and we felt quite sorry for those in the smaller boats getting soaked. Highly recommended.

While it took us forever to get to see the whales, that was just our bad luck I guess, but we did get to see whales for a good 10 minutes or so. Not sure if I’d say it’s worth what we paid for it but it was very well executed on the part of the company with crew who were very nice and welcoming and they definitely don’t control where the whales are at or when they decide to surface.

The trip supervised by Petra, Wilma, Roisin, Sean and Anthony was great! We got to see killer whales, seals, eagles and a grey whale. The information provided by the team made this experience even better, informative and fun! Would defenitely recommend going on an adventure with them!

The Vancouver Public Library Central Branch is one of the most beautiful parts of Vancouver. Each floor offers something different, and you could easily spend days exploring and enjoying it. There’s definitely something for every taste, from books and magazines to quiet study areas and creative spaces. The design and layout are both beautiful and practical, making it a place you’ll want to return to again and again

The library is such a beautiful building, with little shops inside selling stationery. These are quite a few people coming and going, but what I love most is the glass roof, as the natural light makes the whole space feel so bright and airy

Beautiful and dated at once. It feels like a university library and has many areas where to work quietly. The children's library is undergoing a massive renovation, but you can still borrow children's books and attend events and workshops. An old-fashioned cardex can still be consulted. And there are information boards throughout the library for different communities.

Very large, clean, and beautiful public library in the city of Vancouver! There is an observation deck on floor 9 which allows visitors to observe the city from the sky. There are computers in the library for research and catalog search purposes, along with many books, including a multilingual section. This library is a huge resource, from physical media such as CDs to books on law. Great place to visit, I would recommend!

You can borrow musical instruments with your library card for 21 days. Learning to play a musical instrument is a path towards finding your inner peace. I Never had this option when I was growing up here in Vancouver. They have an excellent kids section. Dinosaurs 🦕 are so interesting! The also have international books, magazines or other media. This review was written in 2025, which is after the COVID-19 pandemic but people exposed to the COVID-19 virus may have developed something called long-covid whereby a person could collapse, experience fatigue, confusion, dizziness and other symptoms. Drinking alcohol makes the symptoms worse. Drinking caffeine after 5 pm (soda pop, tea, coffee, caffeinated energy drinks) will disrupt your sleep and also make your symptoms worse. Symptoms vary as well as intensity. I have spoken to teenagers and seniors or co-workers that had or have long covid. An indicator is if you have difficulty counting backwards from 100. If you cannot do it or struggle counting backwards, you might have long covid. Do an internet search regarding long covid in your location to find out how long covid could impact you or a loved one. Ask your pharmacist or doctor. There are tourists that visit here so verify in your own locality. If you have troubles and no one to turn to remember that Jesus ❤ you! You can also lean on God. The waterway was falsely named Sir George Henry Richards, as he thought he was sailing up a creek where it is actually part of the inlet, that aside it is a lovely stretch of water

A really pretty place to explore with plenty to see and do around the creek. My friend and I often came here to walk and unwind there are several peaceful spots perfect for just relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. We did have a few funny encounters with some grumpy geese now and then, but overall, it’s a beautiful and calming place to spend time.

It was a lovely day to walk along False Creek even though it was cold in winter. It’s fine as long as it’s not raining or snowing. It’s always good to get some fresh air and nice views here. The sunset here was nice. During the daytime, there would be more people (local and tourists). Highly recommended coming here to have a walk if you are in the neighbourhood. You can find coffee shops, bakery, restaurants and etc near by. Great location!

Loved walking around False Creek. Nice place to take someone visiting Vancouver. There's a nice big playground outside science world. Plenty of green space and some Canadia Geese to see. It's a short walk over the Cambie Street Bridge that gives you a good view of downtown, GM place, BC place stadium and Science World. Coffee shops and restaurants in walking distance. You can catch the False Creek ferry here which stops at Granville Island.

This captivating place truly lives by it's description as Vancouver protected views. Either you're just hanging out, walking, jogging, or biking you have everything to see what a beautiful city it is. At any angle of any point of either side of the creek you'll never runs out of fascinating scenes that will eat your time until unnoticiably you're tired and hungry. Don't worry, foods are just all around to buy and eating anywhere is your choice. However, this is a clean place so garbage disposal is a must for everyone.

Choices of food and plenty of seatings. Seabus to Canada Place, Hotel upstairs, next to shipyard performance stage and different kinds of shops plus hotels and eateries and children's playground Parking space is a little expensive and the pay station is very inconvenient. But in general, it's a nice place to visit

Great place for local shops and vendors to come sell their items. I do recommend if you are looking for a place to venture with your family. Unfortunately though one vendor, Sharkies has been letting smoke from burnt food into the air weekly with no improvements. It's incredibly unhealthy for the workers and customers and makes it very hard to breathe. Visibility gets very foggy and you can hear customers and workers coughing frequently. I do wish that something would happen in regards to this.

Pretty decent bridge for riding across, except there are some narrow parts where you should ride single file. We witnessed someone trying to pass another rider and instead crashed into an immovable object… the bridge.

Wonderful experince, the gardens are laid out eith winding paths that are just fun to walk down and back up, seeing all types of plants that you would have trouble in finding other places- then the birds!! Great start to our day on a misty Saturday morning. The birds and mice really made it more than just a garden/ conservatory for me. Going at opening allowed us to enjoy two trips around the garden before it got too crowded. My spouse enjoyed the scavenger hunt as it gave you a handful of things to look out for. One of the volunteers was so friendly and brightened our experience.

Visited previously for other concerts but cannot remember which. Our most recent concert was Linkin Park & jpegmafia (Sept 2025). We were fortunate enough to get box seat tickets. Service was fantastic; sound and view were +++. Underground parking was easy to use and security was friendly and helpful. Strongly recommend getting box seats if you can! I would like to complement the stage designers who used the stadium to it's potential.

The Canucks home arena is a great building for watching hockey - once you're in your seat. Steep seating offers good sightlines even from the upper bowl and the arena is in the heart of Vancouver so its easy room reach with public transport (i.e. the Skytrain). Inside the building on the concourses though you can tell that the arena is coming up to age a little bit. Newer buildings offer just more space there and a less cramped/ congested atmosphere...

Fun place, good layout. They have lots of staff, always cleaning up and lots of security to feel safe. Plus, Rogers Arena is nice and close to so many hotels. No restaurants or take out open near by, ya have to walk many blocks to get food afterwards. There are more options now to eat and drink at the arena, it's $$$ but convenient. Great place for concerts and hockey.

Good access through multiple gates. The sightlines were good. Conesessions overpriced like all major league sports facilities. But the arena is showing its age. While the new seats are better, there was a leaking roof during a recent fall rain. A

When visiting Vancouver it's a must go to event, it's a friendly place and all fans are mixed and you can drink while seated something that we don't have in the UK. We went to Rogers Arena to see The Who, and while the concert itself was fantastic, the overall experience was mixed. The arena is spacious and the sound quality was excellent, making it a great venue for such a legendary band. Staff were helpful, and everything felt well organized despite the large crowd. However, one downside was the number of people using electronic cigarettes during the show. It was supposed to be a family-friendly atmosphere, but the constant vape smoke really took away from the experience. It would be nice if the arena enforced stricter rules about this so that everyone—especially families with kids—could enjoy the concert comfortably. Overall, Rogers Arena is a good venue for big shows, but I hope they improve how they handle vaping and smoking during events.

Went to the Zach Top concert. Great show! Most comfortable seat I have found in any arena I've visited

3.5 overall - it's a good museum but very very small also. It's good as an introduction and for something quick to do. While reading all the plaques and viewing everything , it took maybe an hour to see it all. The planetarium was quite fun to watch. It's still a place you should visit, just don't expect a regular museum level experience.

Visiting the space centre on May the fourth was certainly a good choice! As a kid, this was one of my favourite field trip destinations and it definitely helped foster my love of all things space. If you come here with children, make sure to check out the shows! The downside: It is quite small and the exhibits are rather dated :(

It’s a fun spot for kids, especially the planetarium shows and hands on activities. But honestly, I expected more. A lot of the tech feels outdated things like the projectors and displays really need an upgrade. The place has so much potential, but it could use a refresh to make it more exciting for all ages.

My friend and I attended the Pink Floyd 50th anniversary of dark side of the moon and it was an epic experience!!! 10/10. Go!! The sound system is incredible. Walking around afterwards it was sad to see how dated the building has become. So much could be done with this space to keep it modern and exciting. For example, the space centre would make a killing featuring albums of different artists in the dome, the sound system is sick. Also maybe open a bar? Beverages were advertised but we only found vending machines. There is alot of opportunity here, guess you just need to find a funder/fundraiser and someone with innovative ideas.

This a good place to attend with children who are interested in science. Their dome theatre has now updated projectors with better quality and brightness than previous ones. The selection of movies is pretty good. They also have some good interactive shows. Giving 4 stars just because there is not much to do there except watching the shows, unfortunately. Check what shows are in the schedule to plan the visit accordingly. It makes complete sense to buy a membership if you are local as it includes unlimited visits during the year including unlimited movie tickets.

I went to see Encounters in the Milky Way at The Dome, and it was amazing! I felt like a kid again on an elementary school field trip, but don't get me wrong- I think adults would enjoy this more. I only wish the show was longer (only 30 mins) as there were so many interesting points. The nice thing is that there isn't a bad seat in the place since everyone is reclined back and looking up- very relaxing. =D My only criticism is that a more organized line up outside the dome would be nice since it gets very crowded with everyone waiting to be seated beforehand. I'm already discussing going back to the next show with my friends.

I went to the Cosmic show last night was really interesting however I didn't know the actual show was at 9pm. I thought it started at 7pm. It would be nice if they had two shows under the Dome one at 7pm and one at 9pm and you can pick the time. I found 9pm is kind of late and I had to pay extra for parking.

I have often visited this park, and almost always, I see a lot of geese and ducks (sometimes nearly a hundred birds) on the big green lawn and in the lake. In spring, little goslings and ducklings also appear there. But the most amazing thing is that a small lake near the Planetarium gets covered with white lilies in the summer.

The place is amazing and very beautiful. It has a distinctive monument. Next to it is the sea, and next to it there is a very beautiful lake with many ducks. As well as green trees full of place. I recommend visiting the place, thank you. Good luck.

It was rainy day so couldn’t able to walk around fully. It does have some rental, if you like to get on water. It’s busy Bay Area. View was blocked by clouds however park is clean and well maintained. There is small beach area too,

I wanted to share how much my family and I love viewing the celebration of light from Vanier Park. We come here every year, and it's our favourite spot to watch the fireworks. It's away from the chaos of English Bay, but still offers a fantastic view and a great atmosphere. The park is always clean, and the city and mountain views are beautiful. Thanks for providing such a memorable experience year after year!

It's basically the same beach as kitsilano, love the view, but the bottom part of the sea is kinda mushy and slimy because of the seaweed 😓. Overall its less people than kits!

It's a very beautiful beach overlooking the west Vancouver and the 3 mountains. It's not let friendly but have alot of place for your pet to go around. The walk from Jericho to the connecting Beach is beautiful. Sometimes the water is dirty but it's the best place to take a dip while watching the sunset.

Came here in May recently after visiting UBC. It was a Saturday early evening and there were quite a number of people enjoying themselves on the beach. Nice view of the mountain ranges on the other side.

Visited on a Monday morning. Quiet and serene. Clean too. Some people windsurfing and hydrofoil surfing but overall not busy.

This is a great beach to visit, especially since it's free. I even see people swimming here. The air is fresh and you can enjoy the hike along the beach, or a jog... or both. I saw a gigantic heron here, first time ever since I moved from Ontario. It is a little chilly in -ber months, so remember to bundle up!

Gorgeous beach and park. There is a parking lot for a fee but you can find free parking on the street. There is a hill with lots of rabbits, very cute. Perfect harmony with the nature. Highly recommended visit here.

Jericho beach is a beautiful spot with nice soft sandy beaches, lots of spots too sit along the beach or in the grass, great mix of sun and shade throughout the whole park

Bakery, Italian Cafe, 2 fantastic bars, liquor store, banks, grocery store and London drugs which sells everything imaginable and aqua bus station to Granville Island and Yaletown. Definitely a good spot to check out.

As always with tap and barrel, chicken strips and fries are amazing. The smashed avacado benny was a bit too sour for my taste but that's prob just me. The salad dressing was way too sour/salty/sweet? It was hard to eat. Other than that, we were seated 10 mins before our reservation time and had quick service.

One of my favorite parts of town. Amazing restaurants, great shops. Great views. Great walking paths. Oh! Did I mention, it's one of my favorite parts of town. If you visit, look around. There's lots to see. Touristy? We'll, if you're a tourist. But, it's mostly locals.

A nice route and area to walk along. Theres a couple of restaurants with good drinks and food. Especially beautiful in the summer time!

Everyone visiting vancouver should take a walk around olympic village and false creek. It has an outstanding view of downtown as well as some nice restaurants around it. Definitely recommend it, either by foot or riding a bike.

It’s an authentic urban village square with coffee shops and non-chain little restaurants. Very scenic.

Take a walk along this beautiful path with friends and family. Make sure to hydrate. Plenty of things to see not to mention the stunning skyline of downtown Vancouver, stand behind the 9'O clock gun which makes loud noise at 9 pm every day. See the yachts and the sea planes landing and other beauties this path has to offer.

Beautiful breathtaking views during fall time! Must visit spot to just chill during the day. The sceneries are meditative.

Favorite part of visiting Vancouver. Rented a bike off the Mobi app and took it all the way around the Seawall; extremely scenic ride and easy even as a novice biker

Absolutely recommend renting a bike and riding through Stanley Park on this path. We made stops at the Brockton Pavilion, Brockton Point Lighthouse, Prospect Point (views of the Lions Gate Bridge), Tea House, Beaver Lake & the Rose Garden. The path takes about 2 hours with all of the stops and is highly recommended!!

Highly recommend biking path this! Stopped for some ice cream and then to the Stanley park brewing! Incredible ride, breeze off the ocean was lovely and the bikes weren’t very expensive to rent in the park.

Stanley Park in Vancouver is truly a wonderful place. The park is still very densely forested. If you look at the area from the sky you would think that it was a woodland rather than the urban park space it has evolved to become.⁠ ⁠ We did the full walk along the Stanley Park Seawall. We started at the rowing club and walked the full perimeter cutting in by the Lost Lagoon at the end to get back to our starting point.⁠ ⁠ Along the way there were some amazing cityscape views of Vancouver as you will see pictured here.⁠ ⁠ ⁠All in all, we did over 7 miles of walking and it took us about 3 hours as we didn’t want to rush it. ⁠ ⁠ On the final part of the walk and as a result of us navigating around the lagoon, we came across the Rose Garden at Stanley Park, which had some magnificent blooms.⁠

Gastown is definitely one of the must-visit spots in Vancouver. It’s the city’s historic heart, with cobblestone streets, old brick buildings, and vintage street lamps that give it a unique charm. The Steam Clock is the highlight, fun to watch and a perfect photo spot. I really enjoyed just walking around, checking out the local shops, art galleries, and trying out cafes and pubs along the way. In the evening the whole place lights up beautifully, making it even more atmospheric. Great for a casual stroll, good food, and a bit of Vancouver history all in one.

Cool but of history. I think the best times are on the hour when you can hear the whole chime with the number of hours to match the time of day. The quarter chimes are cool as well but the whole chime is spectacular. There are bars you can sit at near by to get a view as well. Won't go out of my way but if you're in the area, worth a stop!

The Gastown Steam Clock is a unique and charming attraction, even though it is currently under maintenance and not whistling completely. The clock still runs and plays its melody every 15 minutes, though it is running about 3 minutes early. Despite these minor issues, the clock remains a fascinating blend of old-world charm and modern engineering, drawing visitors with its steam-powered whistles and historical significance in Vancouver’s Gastown district. It’s definitely worth seeing for its uniqueness and the atmosphere it creates in the area. Keep in mind to check maintenance status before visiting to catch its full performance.

A tourist attraction that is centered around a unique steam powered clock in the Gas Town district of Vancouver. The clock runs entirely on steam, and although as of October 2025 the clock is under maintenance, it still plays sound every 15 minutes. Thats the real attraction around this clock and you can time your visit. There is usually a long queue of tourists trying to capture their photo in front of the clock. The neighborhood and the road itself are really nice to be around. This has to be part of your Vancouver visit itinerary.

I expected the Steam Clock to be bigger, but it’s still a fun and charming landmark to see in person. It’s a really popular spot, and there’s always a crowd gathered around waiting for the steam whistle. The best part is that it’s completely free to visit. If you’re in the area, I definitely suggest stopping by to take a picture. However, I don’t recommend going at night — the area doesn’t feel very safe after dark, so it’s better to visit during the day.

Rare Free attraction in city of Vancouver gas town. Time is not correct. So check your time for sound of the clock every 15 minutes. Longer sound hourly. No wait times. Even good for rainy day.

Great quirky attraction. Would have had 5 stars had the time on the clock been accurate. It was 10 minutes out, but once we figured thay out we were able to watch it complete the full chime sequence on the hour. The surrounding area is a great place for shops, bars and restaurants, both day and night. Well worth a visit.

One of the neater beaches I've been to. There's sand and rocky sections, eastwards and westwards, respectfully. Perfect spot to relax and hear the ebbs of the tide at dawn and dusk. Spanish Banks stretches quite far, directly with Point Grey Beach. Great walking space as well. If you opt to sit on the large rocks, move slowly. They can be loose enough that the weight of a person can make them shift or completely roll. Mind your steps.

Awesome beach... Be careful of parking .. they love to be horrible... And give tickets.. ice cream truck showed up with plenty of options. So apart from the ticket it was great..

Love spanish banks! lots of place to sit and pretty clean. The washrooms are good enough for a beach. Plenty parking.

Lots of parking and benches. Neat to see the boats. The bathrooms however at the east and west concession buildings are gross and smell terrible.

Best beach in Vancity! More private and less crowded. It is worth the walk
