Jericho Beach is a must-visit spot with its breathtaking views of Stanley Park, downtown, and the mountains. The Galley Patio and Grill has been a popular destination since 1990, attracting visitors to Jericho Beach and nearby Spanish Banks. Sunset Beach, located at the mouth of False Creek, offers a perfect way to end your day with its convenient location near downtown Vancouver hotels.
A stunning park that seamlessly transitions from lush grass to sandy shores, complete with a dedicated bike path for easy exploration. The highlight for me is the abundance of bunnies that roam the park—they’re absolutely delightful and make every visit special!

It's basically the same beach as kitsilano, love the view, but the bottom part of the sea is kinda mushy and slimy because of the seaweed 😓. Overall its less people than kits!
Shierly Y — Google review
It's a very beautiful beach overlooking the west Vancouver and the 3 mountains. It's not let friendly but have alot of place for your pet to go around. The walk from Jericho to the connecting Beach is beautiful. Sometimes the water is dirty but it's the best place to take a dip while watching the sunset.
Anupam G — Google review
Came here in May recently after visiting UBC. It was a Saturday early evening and there were quite a number of people enjoying themselves on the beach. Nice view of the mountain ranges on the other side.
Google L — Google review
Visited on a Monday morning. Quiet and serene. Clean too. Some people windsurfing and hydrofoil surfing but overall not busy.
Adventurous M — Google review
This is a great beach to visit, especially since it's free. I even see people swimming here. The air is fresh and you can enjoy the hike along the beach, or a jog... or both. I saw a gigantic heron here, first time ever since I moved from Ontario. It is a little chilly in -ber months, so remember to bundle up!
A K — Google review
Gorgeous beach and park. There is a parking lot for a fee but you can find free parking on the street. There is a hill with lots of rabbits, very cute. Perfect harmony with the nature. Highly recommended visit here.

As time goes on, I have very mixed feelings about this gallery. It is the biggest one in the city but no student membership is available. I used to be a member, and can no longer afford it. The entry fee is exorbitant so I bought a year-long entry pass to make up for it... I also wonder about the curation. I liked the recent ceramics exhibit but that's because I love ceramics! I felt underwhelmed by the others. My previous visits ~4-5 years ago felt stronger than recent exhibits. Bring in more classical/traditional work, in addition to contemporary, to balance things out. I mean beyond Emily Carr (who is great but shown constantly).
Dean C — Google review
While I live near and visit Vancouver a lot, I hadn’t been to the Vancouver Art Gallery in almost 20 years. The cost to visit is rather high, given the size of the gallery. As a BC resident it was $29. We spent just over an hour visiting the 4 floors. The up escalators were all out of order at the time of visit, though there was an elevator for accessibility. The exhibits were well presented and maintained, though the building was super warm and lacked air flow. The Emily Carr exhibit was definitely the highlight for me.
Alyssa B — Google review
Visiting the art gallery for the first time was a truly wonderful experience. The exhibition featured a wide range of unique art pieces, including beautifully crafted pot sculptures in various styles and designs. I was especially fascinated by the ceramic sculptures, each one showcasing incredible detail and creativity. The gallery also displayed stunning paintings that captured different themes and cultures. Overall, it was an eye-opening experience that gave me a deeper appreciation for diverse forms of art and cultural expressions.
Deepti M — Google review
This is a nice gallery to visit if you have a couple of hours to spare while in town. It is a spacious place with exhibitions from different artists. The content changes during the year so it's good to keep an eye on the venue schedule. This venue is centrally located in downtown.
C T — Google review
I must confess that I found myself somewhat underwhelmed. The impressive architectural structure did not seem to house anything particularly captivating or noteworthy. The contemporary and conceptual art installations, while present, did not fully engage my interest. Consequently, I would only recommend a visit if one has already experienced all other attractions Vancouver has to offer.
Gayane G — Google review
Really wish I had read reviews before visiting this place. Someone else described it as one of the least inspiring art museums and I would strongly agree. What made it so much worse was the fact they closed the main stairs, forcing us in loops to get to tiny back stairs. Then, where there were escalators, half didnt work - so time to backtrack around the building through the depressing exhibits of a single barrel of hay. I understand artists suffer for their art - but must I suffer as well?
K A — Google review
I met up with a friend for lunch - which was delicious- and a tour of the galleries. Emily Carr will for ever make might heart sing. Riopelle will never be my vibe. And though I try to under his work, I believe that he may have best been used to grace the cover of annual reports or novels and anthologies, before the varnish yellowed his pieces. I regret not spending the day with "Otani Workshop: Monsters in My Head", as everything is beautiful and poetic.

Nestled within the stunning surroundings of Stanley Park, the Vancouver Aquarium is a must-visit destination for families and marine enthusiasts alike. This beloved attraction offers an incredible opportunity to explore both local and exotic aquatic life, showcasing over 65,000 animals including playful sea otters, charming penguins, and majestic sea turtles. For more than six decades, it has been dedicated to education and conservation rather than flashy performances.
We had a great time at the Vancouver aquarium. Well worth coming here. It was a bit crowded, but that’s ok it was Easter long weekend. Very well organized and clean. The staff and volunteers were lovely and very friendly and helpful. It was very educational, and it filled my heart that they rehabilitated some of the animals and some permanent residents as they could not survive back in the wild on own. If I lived here I would definitely come me back. There was lots of parking. We had a lovely time here and will come back in my next visit to Vancouver.
Roxy D — Google review
Great sea otter program by Vanessa! Super engaging and loved getting to know more about the otters. Also really enjoyed the seal feeding and getting to know more about the rescues! The entire aquarium was a blast, got to see so many amazing creatures, the pacific and tropical sections are beautiful. Highly recommend getting tickets online, and they have a great student discount. 10/10 would recommend for a great half day trip.
Jessica C — Google review
It's an excellent place to visit as long as it's not too busy. On the smaller side compared to other aquariums I've been to but there's lots of small exhibits for the animals they take care of. Definitely recommend visiting on a weekday to avoid the crowds, and if you live in the area, maybe consider buying a yearly membership as it pays for itself after 2-3 visits and the single day passes are very expensive.
Millie M — Google review
A fantastic experience! The staff were really friendly, there is a lot of variety of animals and things to see, plus the facts to each exhibit are really interesting and fun to read! The gift shops are really cool, it is really easy to buy too many things! I would love to visit again
Peter S — Google review
A decently sized aquarium. I would say you can expect to spend up to three hours here. Be sure to catch the Sea Lion show and the 4D movie. As for parking, I was able to get a great spot by arriving about 40 minutes before opening. They actually let us in before the official opening time, which was a nice bonus. I found the aquarium more memorable than the one in Seattle. Being situated inside Stanley Park is also a big plus. As a heads-up, if you’re visiting with multiple people, it may be more cost-effective to purchase a Platinum Membership rather than individual tickets.
Johnson — Google review
One of the better attractions in Vancouver! There is a variety of marine and tropical animals to see, and it's good for young and old. You can easily spend most of the day here, taking in featured talks, wet lab to touch some of the sea life, 4D theatre, and more. There is food on site in case you didn't eat before coming here. It can get quite busy on weekends and holidays, so it is best to go early to beat the crowds, and when it isn't so hot. The 4D show changes every once in awhile, and you can check their website for more info. The tickets are pricey, so plan accordingly. Parking can also be hard to find, so it is best to go early.
Francis W — Google review
I went with my girlfriend and really enjoyed our time there! The sea lion show, otters, and 4D theatre were memorable. It was also cool to touch sea urchins and stars! Saw garden eels and axolotls too :)))
Dylan L — Google review
A great aquarium experience in Vancouver! Quite big in size with a lot of different environments and displays. A bunch to see, do, buy, eat, and explore. Expect to spend a good 2-3 hours or so soaking it all in and visiting each area. A great variety of animals, enclosures, and fun surprises. Decent amount of parking. Admission prices are a bit high in my opinion, be sure to look online for deals or discounts.

Nestled atop a hill, Queen Elizabeth Park is a stunning urban oasis in Vancouver that beckons nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Spanning 52 hectares, this park is renowned for its meticulously manicured gardens and the enchanting Bloedel Conservatory, where vibrant flora thrives year-round. At an impressive elevation of 125 meters above sea level, visitors are treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline and majestic mountains beyond.
Come here and experience an amazing park. There are plenty of great reviews and the vast majority are glowing and rightly so. From the Blodel Conservatory to the outdoor gardens to the walking trails this park is an oasis in the middle of urban sprawl. There is an excellent restaurant. There is plenty of parking and easy access to all attractions. Public washrooms are also available. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the park and easily recommend coming here. We will definitely come back.

Lovely open garden, no admission required! Highly recommend if you are a flora enthusiast or just someone who likes pretty things! Many spectacular roses, poppies, and so much more! Definitely stop by if the weather is nice.

Absolutely stunning park with plenty of walkways offering different views, all of which are breath taking. The grounds and everything within them are incredibly well maintained and the staff clearly take pride in this, whilst being respectful and polite to visitors. There is a restaurant on site with great food you can enjoy alongside an amazing view of the Vancouver skyline. Highly recommend!
Clare B — Google review
My brother and I used to golf here and play in the snow growing up nearby. The park hasn't changed that much. It is still a lovely place to take visitors and I am hoping to find the artist selling the beautiful Vancouver prints again.
Yvonne — Google review
Absolutely beautiful park! First stop on our Vancouver trip and it was well worth the beauty. Please take the time and spend the extra cash to drop into the greenhouse. It’s not expensive and the flowers are amazing. The entire garden is well kept and the artwork made with the flowers is incredible. My only recommendation would be to somehow change the water feature that’s no longer in use. Other than that 1000/10 spot to visit.
Joshua P — Google review
We wanted to spend some quality time together surrounded by the wonders of nature. Fortunately we decided on Queen E Park. We parked on Midlothian Avenue and walked over to the Duck Pond. Sadly it was just stinky mud, but the trail led us to the Large Quarry. It was breathtaking. We had to take a new picture after every couple of metres. Then we walked over to the Small Quarry for more gorgeous flowers and bushes. To finish, we walked up to the Conservatory level. From there you have great views of Vancouver and the surrounding mountains. There are even plaques that point out various mountain's names. Seasons in the Park is a fine dining experience with great views. There is lots of paid parking available if you drive up. We've been there several times and never get bored with the stunning display. This is MUST SEE!
David E — Google review
It is a beautiful park, great for picking and having the kids run around. It has many other places like the Bloedel Conservatory: a nature and wild life garden, Quarries, and restaurant. Perfect for photo shoot spots, and you can see city from the top of the park. Queen Elizabeth Park's peaceful gardens are great place to spend an afternoon.
Shereen H — Google review
I went playing disc golf. The course design is good with a little challenge that there is a basket beside the lake. The lawn is too muddy if there was rain the day before. I like the separate putting area particularly, good for practice. The view from the observation deck is spectacular. You are able to see all the local ski resorts when the sky is clear. Paid street parking on slope is available.

VanDusen Botanical Garden, established in 1975 on a former golf course, is situated across 55 acres in Vancouver's Shaughnessy neighborhood. The garden showcases over 7,500 plants and trees from seven different geographic regions. It features diverse greenery, flowers, art installations, a meditation garden, an Elizabethan maze, and cascading streams that create a serene atmosphere.
What a great place ! I didn't know what to expect after I've done several gardens in different cities but this was definitely an amazing one. It's bid enough for you to wander for a couple of hours, it has a restaurant, a café and you can even bring your own picnic basket or buy one there so you can enjoy a sunny afternoon with family or friends. The garden is very well maintained with different zones representing different countries and continents, I love that it reminded some of the plants I've seen during my travels. Overall I'd highly recommend paying them a visit!
Mikael B — Google review
What a fabulous place to visit. It was my last day in Canada with a late night flight. My friend suggested visiting these beautiful Botanical Gardens. Sadly, not visited by many tourists as it is off their transport routes, when you are restricted to time and transportation. The gardens were easy to find and good parking. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Toilets were clean and tidy. There is a cafe and restaurant on site. We only visited the cafe which is very good, with seating inside and out. A map is ideal for finding your way around the gardens. Laid out in zones and clearly marked, they are stunning. Fantastic variety of plants, trees and shrubs, plus water features. Sadly, due to flight times, we were only able to spend about 4 hours there, I could have spent much longer. Well worth the visit and allow yourself time, you need it.

The botanical garden is an absolute gem that feels like a peaceful escape from the city. Every corner is beautifully designed and filled with vibrant colors, from lush green trees to carefully arranged flowerbeds that change with the seasons. The air feels fresh and clean, and the gentle sound of birds and rustling leaves creates a calming atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. The walking paths are well maintained, and there are plenty of benches where you can sit, relax, and simply enjoy nature. The greenhouse with exotic plants is especially impressive, offering a glimpse of tropical beauty even on a rainy day. What makes this garden truly special is the sense of care and attention to detail. Everything is arranged with love, from the layout of the plants to the small educational signs that tell interesting facts about each species. It is a perfect place for a quiet walk, a family outing, or simply to clear your mind and reconnect with nature.

First time in twenty years we visited the gardens again. We got the hours wrong and only had 30 minutes inside, but even that little amount of time was worth the entrance fee. This garden is amazing for fall colors and serenity. We will add it to our list of return places to go when in Vancouver. I only wish I would have gotten the hours right as I would have loved to spend half a day here.

VanDusen Botanical Garden is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in Vancouver. The gardens are huge, well-designed, and full of amazing plants, flowers, and trees from around the world. Every season has its own charm – colorful blossoms in spring, lush greenery in summer, vibrant fall leaves, and the magical Festival of Lights in winter. The walking paths are clean and easy to follow, perfect for a relaxing stroll or some great photos. Staff are friendly and helpful, and there’s also a nice little café and gift shop. If you’re looking for a quiet escape from the city with stunning scenery, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

If you are in need of a break from your busy life , this is the place. Beautiful gardens , wonderful lakes with beautiful fountains gently rippling the waters surface and if you are lucky like us you will see the Heron catch a fish. Just peace and tranquility. Wonderful manicured lawns , planted beds full of summer colour , fountains, grassy knolls and a restaurant. Four hours of bliss. A good walk round , plenty of labels to help identification, but not too far to ealk. You are never far from the path or the exit. Good coffee lovely herb and cheese scones too. A children's learning area and two restaurants complete the park. However the flowers and shrubs are the winners in my eyes. Endless colours , all beautifully planted to show their best sides. I could go back tomorrow and see something different . We'll done to the staff and the volunteers if I lived nearby I would like to volunteer too. Sorry about my feet in the video .

Calm, quiet, and full of life. This garden is a year-round escape into nature’s beauty. The flora is breathtaking in every season, and when the rain holds off, it’s easily one of the best places to be in Vancouver. Peaceful paths, vibrant colors, and a sense of serenity that lingers long after you leave.
Prabhat P — Google review
Beautiful flower and very casual walk around. Great variety of trees and plants. With the shaugnessy restarant next door, it makes for a nice place to spend several hours and wander. Parking is free and it fees uncrowded even during busy times. Plenty of benches everywhere. Be advised during summer camp weeks the maze may be filled with lots of small kids who tear though it with high spirits and lots of excitement.

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, located in Vancouver's historic Chinatown neighborhood, is a serene urban park designed according to Taoist principles. Crafted by 53 Chinese master craftsmen, this garden is a replica of a classical Ming Dynasty Chinese scholars' garden and the first of its kind outside of China. The garden features carefully arranged water, plants, and rocks shipped from China to create an authentic experience.
Quiet & lovely garden in the center of the city. Scavenger hunt for kiddos, plenty of lush bamboo & maples, old bonsai trees & koi ponds. Cafe had neat original artwork for sale. Live classical Chinese musician played in the courtyard and incense wafted while we explored and played with the Buddha boards. Free tea samples and awesome gift shop. Definitely worth it. Easy location too, fun walking around Chinatown.

This is a beautiful and relaxing Classical Chinese Garden. We visited on a recent trip. It was $16 to enter as an adult. Inside we could enjoy the walk and relaxing atmosphere. They offered free tea and there was a room with a few traditional Chinese activities to learn or try. The Garden neighbours a park by almost the same name. The Park is free to enter, and if you were just looking for a taste of the experience, you could do that at no cost. The Garden looks over the pond that is shared by both the paid garden and the free park. Spent about 1 hour total between the 2. The exit is through a lovely gift shop.

It’s a calm and pleasant spot in an otherwise noisy town, but since it’s part of an open-entry park, the house itself doesn’t really justify the ticket price. Inside you’ll only find some Chinese-style furniture—unclear whether authentic or just styled to look old—arranged in a very bare interior with an equally plain garden. If you’ve ever seen original Chinese homes, you’ll find this one strikingly empty; if you haven’t, it may give you a very basic idea of how they look. The most interesting moment had nothing to do with the house at all: I watched a heron catch a fish from the pond right in front of me. It was extraordinary, something I had never seen so close before. That alone was beautiful. Otherwise, don’t bother paying for the entrance. Just walk behind the statue and you’ll enter the park for free. Nothing inside is worth your time.

Visited June 2025. During our walk around Chinatown, we came across this garden. We walked through a store and out the back door and ended up here. This was a great surprise in an overall depressing situation in the area. The garden is very peaceful to walk around and take in nature right in the middle of the city.

A peaceful place to soothe your peace, I visited the park and classic garden (entry fee) . I came here a few days after my dad's funeral. This has serenity away from the city life beyond the walls.

This place was so cute to stop in while exploring Chinatown. A little oasis in what is kind of a rougher part of the city. We just did the public portion, not the ticketed part, but we saw plenty of lovely botanicals and hidden paths and picture spots. Definitely worth a walk!!

This is not just a garden, this is a monument to Chinese culture. A pure diamond in the heart of Vancouver. A safe place to rest and relax if you need a break from the city. It gives you the feeling to enter a bubble full of positive energy. Tea was great, the staff was more than happy to help you throughout the visit. What an amazing experience 🙏🏻

Beautiful mature Chinese garden, well designed. Very popular place in the Chinatown area. A wonderfully designed walled garden, an oasis in the middle of the city. Maintenance is pretty decent. Worth the price of admission.

False Creek, located in Vancouver, is a bustling inlet with 10 marinas offering various boating activities. At its eastern end stands the iconic Science World at TELUS World of Science, resembling a giant metallic orb. Originally an industrial area, False Creek has transformed into a vibrant community with markets and residential buildings. Visitors can explore the area by launching a kayak from Granville Island and enjoy unique views of landmarks such as BC Place Stadium and Olympic Village.
Beautiful walk along the waterfront. Downtown Vancouver across the water, Granville Island and Burrard Street Bridge at the west end of the creek.
Teresa M — Google review
The waterway was falsely named Sir George Henry Richards, as he thought he was sailing up a creek where it is actually part of the inlet, that aside it is a lovely stretch of water

A really pretty place to explore with plenty to see and do around the creek. My friend and I often came here to walk and unwind there are several peaceful spots perfect for just relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. We did have a few funny encounters with some grumpy geese now and then, but overall, it’s a beautiful and calming place to spend time.
SAM — Google review
It was a lovely day to walk along False Creek even though it was cold in winter. It’s fine as long as it’s not raining or snowing. It’s always good to get some fresh air and nice views here. The sunset here was nice. During the daytime, there would be more people (local and tourists). Highly recommended coming here to have a walk if you are in the neighbourhood. You can find coffee shops, bakery, restaurants and etc near by. Great location!

Loved walking around False Creek. Nice place to take someone visiting Vancouver. There's a nice big playground outside science world. Plenty of green space and some Canadia Geese to see. It's a short walk over the Cambie Street Bridge that gives you a good view of downtown, GM place, BC place stadium and Science World. Coffee shops and restaurants in walking distance. You can catch the False Creek ferry here which stops at Granville Island.

This captivating place truly lives by it's description as Vancouver protected views. Either you're just hanging out, walking, jogging, or biking you have everything to see what a beautiful city it is. At any angle of any point of either side of the creek you'll never runs out of fascinating scenes that will eat your time until unnoticiably you're tired and hungry. Don't worry, foods are just all around to buy and eating anywhere is your choice. However, this is a clean place so garbage disposal is a must for everyone.

Nestled in the heart of Stanley Park, Third Beach is a popular sandy spot known for its stunning sunset views and ideal picnic setting. Health Canada has deemed it the cleanest beach for swimming, making it a top choice among English Bay options. The beach's secluded location offers a peaceful retreat from the city noise and makes it less crowded than other nearby beaches. Visitors can also enjoy drum circles and musical gatherings on summer nights, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.
Third beach is a larger beach than second beach. It’s always in the sun and it has a nice third beach concession stand up a few flights of stairs. There are connecting bike routes so you can go through Stanley Park or go on the seawall if you prefer but remember that it is only single way bike access.
Gabriel D — Google review
Third Beach is a pleasant spot, especially in the late afternoon during July. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, with a mix of locals and visitors enjoying the sun, music, and occasional drum circles. While it's not the most stunning beach in terms of scenery or facilities, it has a laid-back charm that makes it worth a visit. Great for catching sunsets, but not necessarily a must-see if you're short on time.

This is my favourite beach in Vancouver. A little bit harder to access and the parking is expensive, but it is worth it. The sand is great, the water is, too, the vibe is excellent and the crowd overall is lovely and very diverse (great for families, singles, and groups as well). To me this particular place gives a very cool vacation vibe. There are also spontaneous events at times and beach parties plus the weekly drum circle during the summer.

Third Beach is a beautiful beach in Stanley Park. I particularly enjoy walking through the park to get there, but you can also follow the seawall. It's a lovely walk. There is also a parking lot, public restrooms, and a beach bar. The beach itself is very beautiful and natural, with breathtaking views of West Vancouver and the ships anchored offshore. The beach can get a little crowded on weekends and during holidays. It's ideal for a romantic sunset.

The photos are facing out from the Lonsdale quay, and a skyline of Vancouver on my return to seabus terminal..

An absolute beautiful walk, not too long and perfect for families and young ones as they have a scavenger hunt map to help find all the exotic plants which is amazing at keeping them entertained and engaged while also learning! Spanish Banks Beach is a bustling sandy beach that offers tidal flats for skimboarders and kitesurfers, as well as volleyball courts. It's quieter than other nearby beaches due to its residential location, making it an optimal place for picnics with unreal views over the water and city skyline. The Seawall stretches along the long beach, providing an ideal setting for a quiet stroll with seagulls and sailboats in the backdrop.
Large beach spot, doesn’t usually get too busy. Can always find a spot to seat even on a hot weekend in the summer. This beach does get significantly more windy than kits, so if it’s not very hot could be a bit chilly. The bigger challenge with this beach is finding parking at peak hours in the weekend, would recommend to get here before 11AM to find a spot. This beach is not as transit accessible at Kits, it’s a much longer walk from the nearest bus stop. There are good washrooms and multiple concession stands on this stretch of beach. This is a popular spot for volleyball and families. You have a very 180 degree view on this beach, can see downtown Vancouver and all the mountains across the water. Highly would recommend if you have a car. Parking near the beach is max 2 hours and pricing is pretty reasonable.

One of the neater beaches I've been to. There's sand and rocky sections, eastwards and westwards, respectfully. Perfect spot to relax and hear the ebbs of the tide at dawn and dusk. Spanish Banks stretches quite far, directly with Point Grey Beach. Great walking space as well. If you opt to sit on the large rocks, move slowly. They can be loose enough that the weight of a person can make them shift or completely roll. Mind your steps.

The park features meandering paths lined with rocks and logs, perfect for relaxing or having a picnic with friends or family.
Officially Habitat Island, the reviews are here under Beer island. Wish I would have taken pics when it was first created. At that time when the tide came in the pathway of rocks disappeared under water. We found that out the hard/fun way. It looks like they have been raised to always allow access regardless. Incredible views in all directions of the mountains, False Creek, and the city. Paths meander around with many rocks and logs to sit on the relax and enjoy the sounds/views. A nice break from the activity of Olympic Village and the creek's perimeter trails. The walk to the island can really give a sense of separation (both physical and mental). Daniel

A great place to visit when in the Olympic village area or walking around false. The island was created with land fill when the Olympic village was developed. Habitat Island is an urban sanctuary along Southeast False Creek. Deep layers of soil have been added to the area to provide nourishment for new trees to grow. Boulders and logs commonly found along the coastlines in this region of British Columbia provide a home for plants, small animals, insects, crabs, starfish, barnacles and other creatures. Surrounded by water at high tide, the island is also a sanctuary for birds. There is a path that circles the island. More than 200 native trees, as well as shrubs, flowers, and grasses that grow naturally in this region have been planted along the waterfront path and on the island. Official name is Habitat Island not Beer island. Any park in Vancouver is a great place to drink beer not just this place.

The Stanley Park Totem Poles at Brockton Point in British Columbia are a must-see for visitors. This collection of nine totem poles, sourced from remote areas in the province since the 1920s, is a significant representation of Indigenous history and culture. Each totem pole features intricate carvings and unique colors, conveying its own distinct story within the art. These beautiful monumental masterpieces offer a glimpse into the lives and stories of Indigenous people.
Stopped here while cycling around the island on my trip to Vancouver. Great first stop once you get into Stanley park. It was great to see the first nation totem poles, read about the history and learn about their culture. The area has bathrooms, a gift shop and adequate parking for both cars and bikes. I was cycling so only took notice of the bike parking, a rack across the road by the water. There were cars parked outside when I was there.
Jack H — Google review
This is a wonderful tribute to the rich culture and traditions of the native peoples of the region. The carvings are elaborate, colorful, and full of history, and seeing them outdoors among the mist and towering trees feels much more authentic than in a museum setting. The vibrant colors pop beautifully against the deep green forest and gray skies, making it a striking sight for photography as well. It’s not just a cultural experience, but also a very scenic one. Take your time walking around, as each carving tells its own story. Pro tip: Visit early in the day or on a cloudy/misty morning for the most atmospheric views.
Manik G — Google review
Visited June 2025. Stanley Park is beautiful and quite large. We stopped at the Totems, and it is a very nice area to see some local Totems. There was also a little gift shop available. Definitely worth a stop here to take in the local indigenous culture.

This spot in the Stanley Park has quite a few Totem Poles that have been erected across different times. There is signage providing descriptions, history, significance, and timeline of each Totem Pole. There is also clear signage indicating visitors not to enter the area where they are erected, as these are of sacred value to the indigenous people. This site is accessible both by foot and by car. There is also a paid parking lot next to these poles. The gift shop is located behind these poles. A must stop during your visit to Stanley Park.
Avais S — Google review
My most favourite spot in Stanley Park. It was good to celebrate the National Indigenous People's day here. There's clean washrooms and a good souvenir shop around the corner. Totem poles are a specific art form created by First Nations and Indigenous People of the Pacific Northwest Coast. Each totem pole has a unique story.
Ruwanthika P — Google review
The totem poles in Stanley Park, Vancouver are one of British Columbia’s most visited attractions, showcasing the artistry and cultural traditions of Indigenous peoples from the Pacific Northwest. The collection includes poles carved by artists from several First Nations, each telling stories of family lineage, history, or spiritual beliefs. Originally installed in the 1920s and expanded over time, they serve both as cultural landmarks and as a tribute to Indigenous heritage. A good gift shop is there.

Stanley Park Rose Garden, founded in 1920, is a serene and colorful oasis within the expansive 988-acre waterfront park. With over 3,500 rose bushes and a stunning west coast-inspired arbor adorned with climbing roses and clematis, the garden offers a picturesque setting for leisurely strolls or romantic outings. The floral display beds showcase seasonal spectacles of color from June to October with annuals and perennials, as well as flowering bulb displays from March to May.
I love visiting this garden at different times throughout the year. The flowers were in full bloom. The lawn was well-maintained. There were benches nearby to rest on and admire the view. The garden has several paths to walk through and some vehicle access roads. A great location for photos or picnicking.

Not the Rose Garden, but behind the Aquarium and Brockton Pavillion area. so here we are for now. We visited our favorite Stanley Par and explored new terrain. These pics are from what felt like all over Stanley Park kinda day. From the bus loop, we walked towards the Aquarium... shoutout to Kelly from the Bicycle Bistro for your generosity 🙏. Anyway we then took the trail 👣 from the Aquarium towards the OLD former Polar Bear Zoo exhibit (these ate some mini interconnected trails), and across the road onto the trail leading to the Totem poles, we walked that trail for a bit and used a side trail and eventually ended up at Brockton Pavillion area which is very beautiful. All new terrain exploration for us. Enjoy the pics from our little spontaneous adventure.

Rajeev A — Google review
The Rose Garden is nice, but needs more roses that actually have a fragrant scent. Only 2 types I can actually smell anything. I personally love the other flowers and plants that are in the area of the Rose Garden better. Love it when they have bright colorful flowers in the surrounding flower beds. It can be a beautiful serene place to just take in the colors and have a nice stroll and relax your mind, or just take some pictures of the beauty. I have noticed that the flower gardens and other plant beds were much more full and had more variety prior to 2022. After that, it is more sparse and not as many different varieties of flowers/plants as previously. Some of the large beautiful tall trees that I used to love, have been cut down as well. I think there may have been budget cuts or something as far as the flower gardens since 2022, as I see a drastic change. Though I do love the gardens, I can say that other cities have better flower gardens. Would be nice if the City would invest in this area of Stanley Park more. Otherwise, it is a beautiful area in the Spring and Summer, and even into very early Fall.

My fiancée (still feels great saying that!) and I visited multiple times to finalize the details of our engagement rings, and despite the many specific requests we had, Roman was incredibly patient, understanding, and attentive to every little detail. His professionalism and dedication to helping us find the perfect rings made the entire experience so memorable. We truly appreciate the care and time Roman put into ensuring we were completely happy with our choices. Without a doubt, I’ll be returning for our wedding bands and recommending Luxury Diamonds to all my friends. Thank you again, Roman, for making this journey so special and seamless!

My fiancé and I recently had an appointment at Luxury Diamonds to choose our engagement ring. At first, we were a little nervous but after meeting Roman and chatting with him, immediately made us feel comfortable and excited about choosing the ring. Roman took the time to explain in detail the quality of the diamonds, their shapes, and the exclusive handcrafted designs they have at the store. At the end of our appointment, we both left very happy with our choice and went straight to celebrate. Thank you Roman, for your attention to detail and for making us feel so comfortable. We definitely recommend Luxury Diamonds Vancouver to those looking for an unique, memorable, and personal experience. We couldn't have chosen a better place and engagement ring. Very happy with my ring!

We hadn’t had the best experiences with other jewellers, but working with Rowan was a refreshing change. From our very first appointment, he made a great impression—professional, approachable, and genuinely attentive. He never pressured us at any point and was able to work comfortably within our budget. We returned to finalize the details, and just two weeks later, the ring was ready. The entire process was simple, smooth, and stress-free. I absolutely love my engagement ring! Rowan and the team at Luxury Diamonds did an amazing job, it’s exactly what I envisioned! I would highly recommend Luxury Diamond.

I bought my engagement ring from Luxury Diamonds a couple of months ago, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. I was very particular about every little detail, and Roman was incredibly patient and professional throughout the whole process. I visited multiple times, and each visit was smooth and welcoming (no pressure at all, just genuine support and expert guidance.) Roman went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right, and it truly showed. When I finally gave the ring to my fiancée, she absolutely loved it. It was exactly what I had envisioned. I truly appreciate all the support from Roman - his professionalism, attention to detail, and kindness made the whole experience memorable. I’m so happy with my choice and would definitely recommend Luxury Diamonds to anyone looking for something truly special. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would give 5+++ for sure! Thanks again Roman👍

My fiance and I had an amazing experience with Roman. We went to different jewellers before going to luxury diamond, but for some reason something didn’t click. When we spoke with Roman, we right away felt comfortable and learned a lot about different diamonds. After two visits we knew exactly what we wanted. We will for sure be back for our wedding bands :) thank you for everything!!! Tyler Siemens

We ordered our wedding rings from Luxury Diamonds, and the entire experience was nothing short of amazing. From start to finish, the transaction went smoothly, and both Roman and Amanda were incredibly helpful, patient, and accommodating. They made the process feel personal and stress-free, which we truly appreciated during the busy time of wedding planning. The store has a wide variety of beautiful wedding ring styles, making it easy for us to find the perfect pair that reflects our taste and story. We visited just two months before our wedding date, and despite the tight timeline, we received our rings in just under a month — on time and exactly as envisioned. The craftsmanship of the rings is stunning, and we can feel the quality and care that went into making them. We’re so happy we chose Luxury Diamonds and would absolutely recommend them to any couple looking for timeless, beautifully made rings and exceptional customer service. Thank you again, Roman and Amanda, for making such an important part of our wedding journey so special! **Only the wedding rings are from Luxury Diamonds**

my husband did SUCH a beautiful job creating my dream engagement ring! thanks to Roman at Luxury Diamonds, my husband not only made the most stunning ring for me, but also surprised me with the loveliest pair of diamond earrings! thanks again Roman for all your knowledge and help!
Aliyah A — Google review
It was a pleasure working with Roman from Luxury Diamonds. After just one consultation with Roman, my partner and I immediately felt comfortable and did not feel the need to visit any other jewellers. Roman was welcoming and knowledgeable and did not make us feel rushed or pressured in the slightest. I fell in love with the very first diamond he presented and he was able to design my dream engagement ring below our budget. He is very experienced and provided an exceptional service to us. After the ring was produced, we wanted to make a change to the setting which he did so free of charge with no hesitation. He went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied with the ring which looks even more beautiful than I imagined. If you are looking for top tier service, high quality jewellery, with reasonable prices, we would absolutely recommend Roman. We look forward to returning to design our wedding bands. Thank you Roman and the Luxury Diamonds team!

The Granville Island Ferry Dock in Vancouver offers a romantic setting for special moments, like proposing on the ferry ride to the island. The small ferry provides an efficient and scenic way to travel around downtown Vancouver, with comfortable rides and friendly staff. It's a convenient and inexpensive transportation option, offering great views as you cross over the waterfront. The picturesque False Creek Ferry dock adds to the charm of the experience, making it a must-try when visiting the area.
A good way to visit both sides of the water. The boat is super cute, it is a fast ride but it is nice. It was 4$ one way, 7$ round trip (July 2024). You can pay directly there in cash or card. There was no line or waiting time, even there were a lot of people on the area in a Friday summer day.
Yinzú N — Google review
Nice way to spend 40 minutes on round trip boat 🚢 ride and site seeing. My grandson said this would be his dream job 😉 cost was reasonable. Driver was friendly and informative.

Had a nice time touring Vancouver BC harbor from the ferry taxi. Cute boat. Felt completely safe. I missed this email after so I'm a little late on review. The captain was very knowledgeable about the area and offered answers to many questions. The tour was reasonably priced for the hour on the water. Am glad I chose to go on. Thanks so much!

If you are a visitor, don't miss this good experience on the water. You can get your ticket when you getting in the ferry. If you don't travel with a car, the day pass is perfect for you. It costs only $20 for adult and you can visiting the surrounding area. All the interesting places are not far from the ferry docks in False Creek. Too many good food and restaurants in all ferry docks. The Yaletown and Village ferry docks are closed to 2 sky train stations. The Yaletown-Roundhouse Station can take you to Richmond and the Main Street Station can take you to Surrey and more. Please check it out. It may helps you finishing your day trip perfectly. The staff are all nice and helpful. It's well worth spending a whole day or half day for visiting these interesting area.

Had a fantastic time, a great alternative to the same old tourist info recited by a faceless voice. We got a locals insight into this wonderful city on a comfortable little ferry. Would recommend this as a great experience to anyone visiting Vancouver. Our guide was the best!

Excellent to get around, par your car at Stanley Park or, False Creek or, Granville Island and cross over the water front almost anywhere on the English Bay False Creek Area! Very inexpensive and very efficient transportation! Plus awesome views as a bonus! Excellent and effective service! I always use it when I'm visiting that area! Strongly recommend!

amazing crew. never seen happier people than the ones operating the ferries! i mean its a fantastic job and crucial service for navigating the bay
Elizabeth N — Google review
Great way to get over to different points in downtown via a small ferry! I tried this for the first time in 10 years to get to BC place. It took about 15 minutes with couple stops along the way, but it was comfortable. Even though it was chilly yesterday, it's not as cold as you think inside, with heaters on! 12 max. on this ferry. One way (2 zone) to the Plaza (closest to BC Place) was $8.

Super cool walk here!!! Lots of parking near by, make sure to pay so you don’t get a ticket. Great views of the harbour and downtown Vancouver. We walked but there was lots of bikes available for rent. Lots of runners here too, if that’s your thing. Clean and great views!!! We were glad we came here today
