The food was well what to say, it was French food!! Cooked really well, served extremely well but tasted like hell, if eaten without the additional sauces. If you eat it the way it is supposed to be, then it's quite good. The place is pricey. Quantity served is quite low but more than enough to fill your hunger, don't go by size. Try to go in the late evening, before that they are a bit ill prepared.

Beautiful colonial setup and great food . The home baked garlic bread stole our hearts. The blueberry mocktail is the best that I have ever had. We had tried the pasta and a vegetable soup as well which were quite good .

Food is fairly decent but a big zero on the presentation. The presentation is done by placing few cut cucumber or tomato slices, but that's what I would expect from a small street vendor or a local bar. Not at a restaurant where lot of tourists dine. But the staff is really nice and very hospitable. A word of caution though, Check the prawns before you eat because it wasn't cleaned at all and had the black strand running along it's back, which ideally all restaurants clean else you could have a bad stomach. On confronting them about this issue, they said it's prawns stuffed with herbs, lol, bad luck we were not convinced as we do cook prawns at home and asked him to replace it with another dish. So be sure you don't eat their special PRAWNS STUFFED WITH HERBS ;)

Good and tasty French food, you can eat beef and pasta over here. I's not costly : count 700-800 rs if you want somes drinks and desert with your meal. The place is also great.

Had been here for Lunch on Sunday. Parking wasn't an issue. Too crowded had to wait for 30+ min to get a seat. Ordered below items Veg Meals - very ordinary not worth Nonveg meals - only gravy no nonveg items with this. Fish curry was good. Mutton Biryani - ok..less quantity Kamatchi Biryani - fried chicken with Biryani . Hard chicken pieces Prawn Kamatchi- this was good. Best 👌 The service was poor.. lot of attitude from waitress.

We ordered Chicken Masala Rice Meals and Chicken Biryani. The Biryani was good, but it costs more than ₹250. The Non-Veg Rice Meals, however, are not at all worth the price. It costs around ₹290, and they served only 3 small chicken pieces, out of which 2 were just bones. The rest of the meal was just rice, rasam, curd, pappad, one poriyal, and an egg. Definitely not worth the price.

Very busy hotel especially during peak lunch hours, very difficult to find a table, waiting room looked like people were waiting for reports after scanning, non veg meals is their highlight, dry items were all super delicious except the prawn dry which tasted like bouncy which happens when it's over cooked. We found this place via IG recommendations. We had the mutton biryani, chicken lollipop, fish kamatchi and idiyappam here. All of them were delicious. Do note that the spice content is high 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. The place is a bit dank though, it’s not that airy although it was clean. The food was served real quick and was hot. There are not many sweet or drinks options.

I loved the food here. I tried their mutton biryani,chicken 65 biryani,pirattal rice,fish starter combo and chicken starter combo. I liked the mutton biryani but two of my friends like the pirattal rice more. But all of us found fish starter far far better than chicken starter.

Food was good for non veg lovers. There are some niggles like hard meat. No dessert available in dine in area. No veg options. Faced severe food poisoning on same day. Not sure if it is this hotel food. But I will not be going back here again.

The place is very neatly maintained.. This is old residence (or bungalow) which has been turned out to be a place of business.. When you enter you will find trinkets, clothes and showpieces for sale and the restaurant is located on the terrace.. Ambience is something to look out for.. We had 'Indian Enchilada' which is a hot chapati filled with lentils and salads with some cheese sprinkled.. We enjoyed the food and ordered some chocolate pan cakes and Vennila icecream.. Pancake was loaded with chocolates and truly homemade.. Though the prices of the food is overpriced I didn't bother to pay for it as we spent a quality one and half hour chatting and enjoying ourselves.. Service time was fairly good.. I'm likely to go back to this place and spend some time..

It's a small place located at the corner of the Surcouf Street in the White Town. The Ground Floor is a boutique and the rooftop is the restaurant. The place has live performances on Saturday evenings usually. The menu is very limited, though they are delicious. The restaurant is a good place to hangout with friends or visit solo and enjoy the live performances.

Kasha ki asha has all women employees. Rhe restaurant/cafe is on the terrace. The staff greets u with a lovely smile. I ordered pancakes which was served with home made orange jam n honey. I loved it.

Very nice place on the roof top. We had slight inconvenience due to rains(you can shift downstairs in case of rains) but we chose to stay up. We had lovely service from the staff there. Ordered Korean waternut and potato, Truffle Dimsum and a soup for starters. Chinese Fried rice was aptly made. Best was the dessert-Sticky Rice with Mango. Ambience was beautiful.

Visited Baby of Buddha and tried their classic fried rice, Thai chicken satay, tom yum soup, and avocado & nuts sushi (futomaki style). Every dish was flavorful and well-prepared — the tom yum soup had the right tang, the satay was tender, and the sushi felt fresh and creative. The portions were proper and satisfying, but the prices are on the higher side. Still, it’s a lovely place for those who appreciate authentic Asian flavors and a refined dining atmosphere.

Got judged at the entrance. Wonder how they think they'll attract patrons if they judge the people who come to eat and make them wait for no reason before giving them a table. Quite pricey, but the food does not meet expectations at that range. We ordered chicken gyoza, the miso glazed grouper, and sweet & sour pork ribs. Plating was also mediocre. Ordered a Tequila Sunrise and could not taste the tequila. Make of that what you will. All in all, an underwhelming experience and not worth the price.

The only good thing about this cafe is its ambience , since it's close to beach and located at the rooftop.Very much overpriced and food quality and quantity not worthy for the price we pay. For bottled water they are charging 175 rupees which can't be explained by any means. This is daylight robbery.Service was extremely poor and staff needs real training ; not at all attentive to our requests. We were waiting for a long time for them to come for taking the order. Very poor experience, i won't visit this place again. They are also charging and additional convenience fee of 5% which is questionable. The Food and the staff is good. I went a little towards the closing time of their resturant but there was still a waiting for empty tables, so the quality of service was focused not on serving us but waiting for us to leave and hand the bill to us. They told us many things could not be prepared as they were finished but all we had asked for was simple tings like breads.

The two stars for their interior and building. We gone for dinner when we looked in to their menu nothing new and overpriced. For example single bun parotta mentioned 90₹ but chicken kothu 170₹. Authentic food at affordable price. The delivery can take some time due to the crowd during weekend lunch. Washroom could have been a bit cleaner though. Quality of Mutton served here was excellent.

Do not just go with the rating and the name. This place may disappoint you severely. No fresh seafood, lack of varieties. You will hardly find anything that tastes good here. This place is very traditional, almost feels like it must have been someone's house with all the traditional set up now converted to a restaurant. The staff is watchful and serve you well. It might just get a tad too busy at times so you may have to call out their attention as it's less staffed than what it should have as it's popular not amongst the locals alone but also with the tourists. It's right beside Thancos Natural ice cream parlor. The veg meals were delightful and also the prawn masala was well prepared. Food is spicy, but then we love spicy - but for the ones who eat less spice - may be disappointed a bit. Note that it's a restaurant with traditional setup so don't expect it to be like a cliched White Town kinda restaurant, coz it's not. Definitely a must try!

A smiling reception from probably the owner or manager and himself welcoming the guests plays a great part in setting the mood right for the guests. This restaurant ticks the box in that sense. We tried chicken biriyani and kal dosa. Biriyani was good while kal dosa was exceptional. Service was kind of quick if not quick. Parking is available behind the hotel. Offers good restroom aswell. Reducing 1 star for couple of things. 1. Cleanliness of the table needs to be improved. Our hand was sticking on the table because of improper cleaning. 2. Parking staff literally begs for money. If they do it after performing their duty it would have been still fine. I guess his job is not impacted but it feels bad.

Amazing food I tried the Era Satti Soru that was very excellent and light on the stomach as well. I didn't like the dessert which we ordered which was the Jigarthanda. and the egg omelette was quite big and the fish was good. But it could have been more fresher. I ordered the Meen Pulichadu

I recently visited this restaurant, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The noise level was unbearable it honestly felt more like a fish market than a dining place. To make matters worse, the management team seemed to be part of the chaos, laughing and chatting loudly instead of ensuring a pleasant atmosphere for their guests. It was difficult to enjoy the food or have a proper conversation due to the constant noise. I expected a more professional and customer-friendly environment, but this visit was far from it. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving the ambiance and overall guest experience.

Udhay attended to us when we visited and it was an excellent experience. Good quality food for both veg and non-veg lovers. The unlimited meals plate was served well and the Udhay helped us with more ghee serving to enhance the taste. Must visit and enjoy food.

One of the worstest hotel I came across. Asked for the veg meal and they said it's available and asked us wait for 30 mins to get the place. Once they allocated table they said veg meals are not available and forced to order other dishes. Otherwise asking us to leave. Who will bare the 30 mins waiting time. Non sense fellow. Doesn't respect others time. Every min is crucial for others.

Zaffron, how nice the name is, their food is disgusting that much. I went with a group of 8 people to Zaffron and experienced a worst environment and as well as food. My friend gave treat to there because she thought it would be good. First is ambiance..... Ambiance look like dull, without proper light, music and crowdness... It's so dull inside the restaurant that I went outside within 5 minutes. Another thing is AC is not working properly. Second is staff.... Staff of the restaurant is so lazy and less in number. Sometimes they were taking order notes on hands. Third is timing and treatment of customer.... They took more than average time to serve the food.. When we entered to restaurant they served normal water (in summer time it should be cold) in a disposable glass instead of proper glass. Also they serve food in normal plastic plates without and paper or banana leaf. And, also those plates were with some spots. Last thing is food..... The food was looking nice but very bad in taste. Only the whole grilled chicken dish was good among all of the dishes. The chicken and muttons in gravy item were frozen for a long time that's why it's smelling bad in taste. We ordered Kasmiri pulao that was with essence of different fruit but fruits was not there and also bad in taste (without salt). Chocken kohlapuri and Kadhai chicken was good only for show not for taste. When we told them that it's smelling they didn't argue with us because they also knew that it's not fresh, it was kept in fridge for long days. Then they asked for change of those dishes but we denied. The food quality is very low. We reviewed about food grade and restaurant ambiance to the owner. But I am writing this review because of general people. Don't waste money by taking food in this restaurant. They need upgrades in so many of things before selling foods.

Could have been much better. Food quality and ambience is the first thing and these 2 things are not proper. Ambience is not at all maintained. The food was also very average. The cost was high according to the quality of food. I guess they have very limited staff and that's why maintenance is poor.

(+)Best found of this pondy trip for food! The pothichoru for 90 Rs was worth. Also tried beef kozhi porotta & chicken kappa. It was worth. Charged Rs. 20 for one piece of pineapple found little costly, though! Pazhampori's oil didn't felt fresh. The taste was not so great.

Ende nadu provides a lot of authentic Kerala dishes. We ordered their fish meals pothichoru and chicken Biriyani. Both where so good. The pothichoru was really tasty and the curries tasted just like kerala dish. The biryani was average and less spicy. Overall would recommend this restaurant to any Malayali in Pondicherry

Ende Naadu serves authentic Kerala food with a touch of nostalgia. The place has beautiful vintage aesthetics, and the Malayalam songs playing in the background add to the cozy, homely vibe. It’s run by Malayalis, and the food is both tasty and affordable, with a good variety of Kerala dishes. During our 3-day stay in White Town (which was close by), we ended up visiting this place multiple times — that says a lot! The service is good and friendly, making the whole dining experience even better.

If you get bored of the sugary cafes of pondicherry and want something savoury and spicy, this place is a must go to enjoy the simplicity and 'stuck in the past' vibes. I am not a regular reviewer, and writing this one only because an entire family's otherwise "would-have-been-happily-concluded" outing was completely spoiled by the extremely arrogant and disrespectful attitude and service from this restaurant's team. My partner and I have been in Pondicherry for several years, and we used to visit this restaurant occasionally. On all the previous occasions, only we two were there. Most of those visits were under the circumstances of craving for Kerala food and proximity of this restaurant to our that-time's place-of-visit (mostly Rock Beach). On many of those occasions, an elderly service person in this restaurant used to show a very arrogant attitude and make faces at us. Also, the lady at the cash counter used to show a mocking attitude. Never knew what the reason for all these was, and never used to mind it, as the preference was only for something to eat at that time and not their attitude. Additionally, since both of us are engaged in social activism, a frequent evaluation of the social structure, various professionals' responses and attitude to people of various classes and creed, and judgmental approach of different sectors to their fellow human beings have made us resistant and tolerant to almost all kinds of antipathetic and unaltruistic behaviours. But today's experience was beyond any limits and unbearable since my family, who came for a Pondicherry expedition from Kerala, was also there with two of us, and the entire party's good time was absolutely spoiled. I myself recommend this restaurant (the decision which I had to regret afterwards after seeing my poor family's response to the unfair treatment we received at this restaurant) since we were in Rock beach at a late evening and the family was not that used to non-Kerala food, thinking that whatever was this restaurant people's attitude during our previous visits, this time they may show at least some manners since an entire family that included elderly people as well as a toddler was there with us. We ordered the main course first. Then, as some of us were really thirsty, I asked the service person (the same elderly man mentioned above) for the options for juices. He pointed towards a menu lying on the table, and while I was going through it and asking my family members for their preferences for juices, I told this service person very politely, "chetta, food tharunnathinu munp juice tharumo" ("Could you please bring the juice before serving the food). The response and attitude from this person was very rude, arrogant and irresponsible. He started blabbering as if I got paid for eating from his restaurant, and I, as well as my entire group, were completely surprised, shocked and flabbergasted at this man's response. Still, I don't even know why that person was behaving like that. After paying the bill, my partner conveyed this rude behaviour to the lady at the counter, and more shocking, that lady simply shook her head at my partner mockingly!!! Also, while we were leaving, that lady was staring at my entire family as if we did something wrong!!! In a tourism destination like Pondicherry, how a firm can treat the customers in this kind of a negative manner and unconcern is a matter to be thought about, especially from the viewpoint of a common middle-class man. Maybe the influx of customers, maybe the class judgment of self-centered business people or maybe the ignorance about the changing surroundings, who knows, what makes some people so inhumane... Anyways, learnt a lesson and will never prefer or suggest this restaurant to anyone in the future. Average quality food and hurt to self-respect at its peak can teach you a lesson, my dear fellow beings!

Had a bad experience. I was with my family and chose this place to have the dinner (my and my family’s bad luck). Prior to the main course, we wanted some juice and conveyed the same to the service person. The reply from him was so rude, arrogant and inhumane (as if we were being paid by him/his firm to eat from there). I was stunned for a minute cuz I didn’t understand why this man is being rude for no reason. When I informed this to the lady sitting at the cash counter, she just made a mocking face at me!!! Then, she started staring at my whole family while we were leaving. I will never recommend this place to anybody. It spoiled our mood completely.

​I tried the chicken biryani and was impressed by the flavor, they use jeerakasala (seeraka samba) rice, which gives the dish a wonderful taste. Unfortunately, the pricing is a deal-breaker. ₹290 is too expensive for this portion and quality. It's a good biryani, but I can't justify the high cost.

Biriyani is good. Chicken in the biriyani could have been softer. Mutton biriyani is good. Fast service. Parota is available only in the evenings. Prawn fry is tasty. The gravy portions coming with biriyani are small. Parking is difficult with car. Can access the place only through bike.

The chicken fry biryani doesn't taste like chicken biriyani taste it was like a ghee rice with chicken . there is no enough meat in the chicken it had lots of bone and the dish does not satisfied the price . It was suggested by our hotel receptionist. The biryani here is really mouth watering delicious. Never tried such unique biryani . Loved every bite . The serving was really fast . Will recommend everyone to visit for lunch. Dinner they are trired and most of the items remain out of stock . Ambience is not that good . But the taste was really good . Biryani here are really tasty and a must try. It's a small hotel but taste wise it is really unbeatable.

Overall a good stay in this hotel. Pros: Located in prime location of the city with accessibility to major locations by walk. For ex: At 9.0pm you can do shopping and you can reach to your room by walk. It was also a safe stay here for a family. The rooms were neat and clean. The staff were also co-operative and service was good. Budget friendly hotel stayed for 3nights and 4days for 11k Bar was closed due to maintenance during our stay Cons: Rooms are small. If you are looking for spacious hotel. Then think of an alternative option. If you are planning to travel with your own car,you will have to park it outside of the hotel on the road. Overall the hotel is in a city center with a accessibility by walk to a major destinations.

Rent Below 1000 rs is ok but 2500 is too much, no parking facility

We booked this hotel only because our already existing booking got cancelled at the last moment. We visited here on a long weekend and hence the rate was really high. For two rooms, for two nights, we paid almost Rs.16,000. Rooms were okay, not upto the mark. There is limited parking space. And after the complementary one water bottle, we need to pay Rs25 for each water bottle extra. There is a bar at the top and hence, if you plan to visit with your family, please consider that too since local people will be more at night drinking and smoking outside the hotel. Two of the staff were good. One is Saravanan.

Clean room (albeit small) and a good location. But our main complaint was with the bedsheets. We had to ask them to change it 5 times before we got a clean set of bedsheets and covers. They kept giving us used and unwashed ones before we complained at the reception. Also, a bit pricey for the facilities you get. It's only ok if you just want to roam around all day and come to your room just to sleep.

Rooms are very small. Some Toilets are very very small. Blankets are very old and it damaged. It's not good. We can't move properly in that toilets. There is a bar restaurant in the top of the hotel. A Small conference hall available in first floor. Parking facility not available. Staffs are okay. But they will improve their room facilities and toilets. You can order food, beverages & liquor and they will serve in your room.

Even though this is labelled as a 1 star hotel, this place is one of the best budget, air conditioned hotels in Pondicherry. It is clean and looks exactly like the pictures. The rooms are small but the service is good. The hotel staff was always available for cleaning, water, fixing the toilet and anything that we had problems with. The bathrooms are too tiny and don't look very clean but are average. There is a rooftop bar which, though shady, seems to be popular among locals.

Nice ambiance !! It can be adapted to the family crowd too as it has kid frenly spots @rooftop n games !!The dj was Awsm :) he reads the crowd well but would really appreciate if they include tamil songs as well overall good experience ! I loved their tres lèches soooo much worth trying !

I visited Amity Sky Bistro & Nightlife recently, and honestly, it was quite disappointing. The ambiance was decent, but the food was nowhere near worth the price. Dishes were overpriced, yet lacked the taste and quality you would expect at such rates. Spending over ₹6,000 and still walking away unsatisfied says a lot. If you’re looking for good value for money, this place is not the right choice.

This was very nice and wonderful night I got it at Tuesday, and need to appreciate the Suresh and rio, who served and took the full care of us. They are doing there job very wonderful and marvellous, need to appreciate the both. Our team recently visited Amity Sky Bistro & Nightlife, Puducherry for a office team gathering, and it was a great experience. The rooftop ambience was lively, and the food and service were excellent.The staff were very polite and attentive, making sure all our needs were taken care of. The DJ was awesome, and the lighting setup was vibrant, adding to the overall party mood and making the evening even more enjoyable. Overall, a perfect place for team outings, parties, or spending time with friends.

We came here for the first time, and it was a wonderful experience! Mr. Suresh and Anmol took very special care of us. The food was absolutely delicious, and we really enjoyed it. The theme and lighting were awesome, and the place was very clean. The song selection was excellent! We will definitely visit again with our friends.

I went to Amity in mid of September. The Ambien's was good. DJ was perfect. Its cozy & minimum of number of peoples to enjoy with vibe. No big crowd. The service of sana & suresh was perfect. They have good knowledge about drinks & suggestions. They done great job. Food price was high but it was tasty except a paneer tikka. Must try fish n chips

Well this is my first review and this I just couldn't stop. After trying so many places the whole day and being disappointed, in the evening I just decided to go whichever is nearby and end in this one. Its a king size treat to your taste buds. You will feel like you have to pay nothing when you see the bill.

It was our first visit to the beautiful city of Pondicherry. As much as we enjoyed exploring the city, we also had a thoroughly relaxing and pleasant 2-night stay at Accord. We were warmly welcomed by the reception staff, and the check-in process was hassle-free. The staff throughout our stay were very courteous. Both the room service and dine-in experience were excellent, and the food was truly delectable. The quality and variety of options at the breakfast and lunch buffet were impressive. We also treated ourselves to a calming spa session, which rejuvenated us after a long day. A wonderful place to stay in the city!

We had a pleasant stay there. The rooms were comfortable, the service was excellent, and the food was superb. A special mention for the kids’ room, it was a thoughtful addition that we really appreciated. And Special shoutout to Muruga and the Valet staff as well! They were good Areas for Improvement: 1. Swimming Pool: Although I don’t swim, I did notice that the pool didn’t appear very clean, which didn’t align with the otherwise good standards maintained across the property. 2. Room Key Issues: We faced issues with the room key automatically deactivating, requiring us to return to the reception to reactivate it. This was quite inconvenient. 3. Dining Area: While the food was excellent, the table setup in the dining area could use more attention. On multiple occasions, tables were allotted without napkins or tissue paper. We experienced this ourselves and also heard similar feedback from another family. It’s a small detail, but improving it would make the dining experience even better.

Absolutely love the place. It’s always my stay when I’m on vacation at Pondicherry. Sometimes it gets a little overcrowded at the morning buffet and they ask you to shift to another banquet hall but the food is top class. The gym has minimal but good equipment for hypertrophy training. Lack of higher weight dumbbells is an issue.

I went there to charge my EV. There was a 60Kw fast charger which charged the vehicle quite quickly. We didn't go there to stay so I can't say anything about the rooms (they might be good as it's a very premium hotel) but the hospitality of the staff was excellent and everyone was kind and always welcomed us.

One of my favourite hotel at Pondicherry. Today we friends had lunch and we planned to surprise one of our friend for her birthday so started with cake cutting surprisingly the restaurant team played a birthday song we were all so happy.I wanted to thank the restaurant team for their kind service..especially the two girls in the restaurant who were present today.

We stayed for 3 days here. In the room: the in room dining was a good experience, the portions were huge, and food was tasty. The cups in the room had stains though. We enjoyed the pool though, it was a good size and clean. Breakfast buffet: not a big spread but it’s alright. I had issues with their tea station and raised this concern with the chef. They provided me a good tea on the last day. Food was alright.

We have been to Sadguru for breakfast along with family. We ordered Dosa varieties and Pongal. The food was tasty but average. Service was good. There was ample parking space. Wash Room area was well maintained. Pls do visit and share your feedback

This restaurant is among the decent ones one can find on this stretch, if looking for vegetarian food with some basic hygiene and for a family. We were 3, and seated immediately. Once order taken, food was served in 10 min flat. Food was very tasty and fresh/hot. The portion sizes of the curry/sabzis could be a little more, but nothing to complain. Quick in & out, fuss free and worry free (quality of food)

If you are looking for authentic local tamil cuisine would highly recommend this place. Went here twice (breakfast & dinner) and it was crowded both the times. Everything we ordered were delicious. Kothu Parota, poori & dosa are must try.

Extremely disappointing experience. The manager, Mr. Prakash, was completely uncooperative and unwilling to understand the issue. We had ordered Reshmi Paneer Tikka from the main course sabji section, but were served it as a starter. When we questioned how a starter could be listed under the main course heading, he kept denying it instead of acknowledging the confusion. Things only got worse: • Salad was served midway through the meal, instead of at the beginning. • When we ordered the main course, no plates or cutlery were provided. The sabji sat on the table for over 5 minutes while we repeatedly requested basic items like plates and spoons. • Only after asking multiple times did we receive spoons, that too without plates. Overall, the service was completely unprofessional, disorganized, and far from what one would expect from a decent restaurant. Definitely not recommended.

Service staff are very good. Expensive, food tastes good, not great. Plenty of parking and a nice place for families or large group to enjoy an all vegetarian menu.

A nice place to try some south Non Vegetarian dishes in a budget price. The place will be little crowded on the Weekends and finding a place to dine in needs some luck and patience. For families recommend getting Take Away here. Quality of the food is very good, flavour of Mutton Paya is little different compared to restaurants in Chennai. 2 Leg pieces are served per plate. Special mention to the Kulambu Kalaki must try. No GPay/PhonePe ₹ or Cards here only Cash is accepted, there is a State Bank of India ATM 🏧 present opposite to the Hotel. Definitely not recommended,it's purely over hyped by half boiled youtubers. I'm basically from southern part of India ,i think many PPL doesn't know the exact meaning of parota salna as they believe this is the original parotta and gravy. Situated opposite to a open drainage like canal,a small sitout. Ordered their parotta which was typically a Kerala parotta sweetish taste. The gravy for parotta is utter useless,their watery salna is totally unfit for this Kerala parotta. Tried their said so famous prawn fry,in which the prawn was too small looked like farm grown prawn. The kaadai or quail fry is ok,good flesh with masalas. Their egg kalakki is good which has 2 eggs in it. Then thier over hyped egg dosa or mutta dosa is overall good than other dishes ,small dosa with egg and salna in it. That's good . Other than that,this place is really over over hyped. While bill payment i noticed that the owner is so rude in attending the take away customers,they pay and eat ,try to give some respect to take away customers also,not like YouTubers who eat in free of cost.

I have been Tasting their food from I'm Kid till now .still the taste of Food “vera mari" Never disappointed me on taste . Must try egg dosa nd gravy they provide .

The food was disappointing. We ordered chicken biryani, cheese naan, porotta, pepper mushroom, and chicken curry. But we received plain naan with some butter, a very basic so called porotta, watery mushroom with just a hint of pepper, and an average chicken curry. What made it worse was the service. It felt like we had to serve ourselves. While we were eating, they were cleaning the floor and spraying air freshener, which made the experience even more unpleasant.

Ordered 65 biriyani from zomato. All I got was 5 fried peice of chicken bones, not even a single piece of meat. And a below par tomato rice in the name of biriyani. Paneer rice had no flavour in it and extremely chewy. Greedy, money hungry people trying to loot people's money. Close your useless shop already!

The food was delicious. The hotel is small from the outside but there is much space inside. They serve food in banana leaf, I love that. So....I am a Keralian, I thought I won't like the food and I don't want to order biriyani for me. So I ordered naan and butter paneer and my family ordered mutton biriyani and mixed fried rice. Apart from my thoughts the food was so tasty for me. I tasted the mutton biriyani and mixed fried rice that were also good.....They have a mini shop in front of their hotel and it will be open only in the evening. That shop contains macaroni, some type of soup, etc. They had a huge crowd in the evening at the time of opening the mini shop. We take a pack of macaroni and alfam in the evening. The masala for alfam was a variety one and also tasty. The macaroni is filled with mayonnaise and sauce with some spices.

I ordered chicken bonda it taste is very good and they give two in a plate served with mayonnaise it almost filled our stomach and another day we try prawn vada they had three prawns inside the vada but it taste life a urad vada.

If you are biryani lover than this place was yours - good taste and variety of biriyani (basmati rice) must thing was that kathirikkai kosthu (brinjal gravy) excellent taste when you eat with biryani (try chicken 65 biryani). Finally, enjoy your food with grape pulp juice.. ( swiggy servive available also - but try at hotel ) and evening time there is shop in front side you will get good tasty pasta too ( must try )

One of the most hyped street foods that i was compelled to visit from all the insta reels that popped in my feeds but was it worth the hype? Not much i would say, their prawn vada was extremely salty and hard to chew, it was like a rubber. Despite my awful personal experience, I witnessed people were frenzied about those rubber vadas so maybe another day, another batch of vada would taste better. Gotta wait for that.

I only had enough space in my tummy for a chicken bonda. It had no complaints.. They're famous for fish fingers and Prawn Vada and also those packed noodles etc. Check them out.

Tried this authentic ARCOT biryani while on my 2 days trip to Puducherry 😃 Being a traditional biryani in that area since 1990, we straightly went with ordering both their signature biryanis with non veg sides. Chicken biryani 🌟 🌟 🌟 Mutton biryani 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 Kaadai fry 🌟 🌟 Located on a very busy street, parking might be a little difficult. So better plan to go there in a 2 wheeler preferably. Cleanliness was quite lagging in this restaurant 😒 Only self service option available and no dedicated waiters Highly notable thing is their cheap price and optimal quantity of food. It's a self service hotel.. Always crowd.. The pieces contains so much cholestrol parts in mutton briyani.. Chicken briyani is a reasonable price of Rs 100.. In mutton briyani I got small pieces of chicken meat.. So i dont know surely whether they are making both briyani separately are doing plain dum briyani and mixed with mutton Or chicken.. But chicken 65 is nice in this hotel.. Overall.. It is useful for people who don't bother about neatness, perfection, time can try here..

Worst food with zero quality ingredients. Palmolive oil being recycled for frying chicken. MSG content is high. Poor quality masala’s with high concentration of colouring agent. Drinking glasses are dipped in a water tub and served again , the same goes for washing plates, No hygiene at all.!

Good place to have tasty lunch if you are travelling in pondicherry. Its budget friendly. Located on roadside. So its gets crowdy and you may need to wait in queue to order. Service is not so good. Cleanliness can be improved. But if you are travelling in group its a good choice which can fit in your pocket. We tried Bucket Biriyani for four people which was enough for 5 people.

Self Service, not a great place to dine in. Not recommend during summer as there is no AC .

They extorted ₹4,000 for a room for which I wouldn't even pay ₹500. But I was helpless as it was quite late at night and raining cats and dogs. But getting a hotel room didn't save me from the rain because it got flooded as there were no proper windows to prevent it. To add to the misery the door lock jammed and I was stuck in the room. Couldn't even lay on the bed as it was dirty as hell. After hours of struggle someone finally broke open the door. They relocated me to another room which still had a dirty as hell bed but the door was not jammed, it was windows this time so at least no rain in room.

Rooms are not cleaned... bedsheets with burnt ciggerate marks and not cleaned. No fixed tariffs. Will charge as per the need of the customers. Didn't provided any towels and not shared the WiFi password inspite of mentioned in the services of the hotel. Not safe for family.... Very casual and cold response from the hotel staff when during the check out giving the feedback/complain about the services. Owner of the Hotel sitting in a filthy lungi and vest at reception finally said thanks and do not visit again. They charged 1000 extra for the room. When asked for the bill then asking for extra tax money for the bill. Will raise the issue to ministry of tourism.

Our car was parked first in the parking lot so while we checked out and want to go back we were unable to get the car out of the parking space as the space was small .Its completely fine as we parked first but at least they would have tried contacting the remaining guests to make space by moving their cars .It took us 30-40mins just to get out of that parking lot and the staff are least responsible , unbothered.Never wrote review but this specific hotel made me to write a big paragraph 🙏

The place is very unhygienic. Rats were roaming around and when we went to wash our hands a rat there just ran over the girl who were seating opposite to us. The guy their saw everything but acted like Nothing happened still I pointed out the issue of rats and but from his words i don't felt they seriously took the issue. We ate momos and it was below average. The staff was talking politely.

In absence of any other nice restaurants nearby thi is a go to place for JIPMERites like me. Divided into an upstairs restaurant called Space Bar and a take out cum small eatery downstairs. Has lots of cuisines to offer and most of them taste just fine. The patiala chicken is what I recommend with kulcha or naan.

Small and quite cafe in the prime location of Pondicherry. Food and service is ok. Their crossoist are good. I like their marble cakes as well. Desert are good especially rumballs. As it is an old cafe and people of Pondicherry have a relation with the cafe but yes quality and service can be improved always.

A good place for a relatively cheap dine. Food items aren't expensive but are tasty and are pocket friendly (quite important for college students) although not extraordinary but it does manage to suit your daily hunger peaks specially during odd hours of the day. Phulka's are light and crisp. Veg recipes are decent and go well with rice and rotis. They also serve continental dishes like chicken cordon bleu, chicken a la king, and roasted chicken with fries. Overall a pretty good place anyday for any hungry soul in need for good and cheap food. :)

It's a good place to buy baked items, the price are reasonable, they also have continental dishes, snacks, soups, drinks, etc., They also make the custom cakes for birthday and other parties.

This bread shop with restaurant is filled with cockroaches running around the crossaints, bakery foods in their display counter and in their transparent kitchen. I don't understand how such a worst maintenance of a bakery. Their pizza is the worst ever we had with the chesse like a bubblegum. Beware of this bakery and it needs a lot of immediate attention by the food inspection authorities. It's very unsafe and just be cautious.

We went here for lunch under the recommendation of my friend who said "it tastes like Home-cooked food" and he was right! The taste was very good and the pricing was also reasonable. What I appreciated the most was the serving size of the gravies which perfectly fit the need of 1 person. As a vegetarian I always end up wasting a good amount of gravy because there's just too much for 1 person. So I really appreciate that.❤️ for context, we ordered fried gobi, phulkas and kadai vegetable. My friends ordered methi chicken and fishn'chips and those were also said to be great. One of my fav bar in my list. But suddenly fews months waiters and billing counter person treating customers like junk. Using worst words on customers and not even coming to serve your table. Waiter is drunk always and asking customers to buy them own. It's happens in ac hall. No proper clean up and toilet is worst. But one star for kitchen because their foods are favourite.

This hotel is located opposite to bus stand. We have visited as a group to this hotel at lunch time. They had only meals and fried rice items to order for lunch. So ordered meals and 1 fried rice item. For meals, they have provided one dish and less quantity of food and served sambar alone. After enquiry, they said Its unlimited meals and serve dish and other items based on request - which is useless and time consuming activity for customers. Service and atmosphere is very poor and meals cost is high compare to their standard. Not worth for money. Service and food quality need to be improved

I have eaten a chicken biriyani , Just stared eating I have noticed that chicken is not fresh , its comes like thread , After few hours it made me sick. If you wish to live long , don't step into this restaurant.

We have gone with all three biriyani... Prawn, mutton and chicken. Everything tastes like the same. They just included meat in same rice. Quality and taste is good but everything taste similar. There is very less number of waiters in a rush time too.

The service is miserable. The waiters do not know how to behave or deal with the customers. I visited the restaurant with seven of my other friends. We occupied two tables since we were eight in total, but the four of us had to leave for an emergency for a while. The rest of the four including me, stayed and gave our orders. The waiter kept on asking us to leave since we were taking up two tables for four people. Although it was clearly visible that we were carrying luggage and four of us were girls waiting in the restaurant alone at an odd hour of the day. They kept on asking us to leave and started blaming that we have been in the restaurant for too long. Never knew that there is something called staying in a restaurant for too long. Two things that made their rants even worse. 1. The restaurant had more than two free tables and still the waiter kept on repeating that other non existent customers were unable to occupy the seats because of us. 2. It was obvious that the rest of the four were to return to order their food and the waiter was behaving as if we were hogging over the seats for no reason. I am not one of those people to give bad reviews to restaurants or any store for that matter. But this was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant.

The food was a good. A little tip for the NVG north indian crowd -> you should avoid the Kadai chicken here, it's not what we north indians are used to eating, it's not spicy and is full of vegetables. The atmosphere is nice and the catering service is also good. All in all, a great experience for dining.

Traditional food, very reasonably priced. Popular among locals and prefect for adventurous tourists. The food is served on banana leaves. Eaten with hands. Cutlery and plates are not given. The staff doesn't speak much English, so orders were given in my 5 words of Tamil, few English words and sign language. The menu is written on the wall in English, so it's easy to order but i couldn't ask questions about the items. I used my strategy of one safe and one unknown and it was perfect. Service is super friendly and fast. And the food is delicious! Have clear expectations and you will be delighted. For fancy AC restaurants, there are other choices nearby.

I was so excited for this place seeing all the positive reviews but was a huge disappointment. Food was terrible. And they have the audacity to charge like some premium restaurant. Server had this annoying fake smile and was demanding tip randomly. They kept pushing us to buy some side dishes but thankfully we didn’t get. The restaurant had no one when we went at 9pm - prolly we should have listened to that warning! There are better places in Pondy to have good Tamil food.

We had a chicken biriyani at Nighttime we didn’t feel it is very nice and spicy biriyani and also we had pepper chicken it doesn’t give us a taste like pepper chicken parato is also not fully boiled in over all I can say for whatever cost we are spending it is not that much worth as per my experience

Been there 5 times in a week or so and tried their breakfast, their lunch, the coffee times with deserts, the cocktails bar and the dinner ! We were happy with all experiences, staff is great, professional, always smiling and care about the guests. The food is tasty and delicious. The atmosphere is great especially on the rooftop over the swimming pool. I personnaly recommend the chocolate fondue, my favourite vice ! Simply the best restaurant in Pondy !

The best restaurant in Pondy with great service! We had the seafood platter (spicy but can also be with butter and lemon) and wonderful desserts. Portions are relatively small but just perfect for individual portions. We also had lunch here and we had the best fish curries here!

We really enjoyed our dinner at les Alizés. Service was excellent, our food delicous, and a great atmosphere on the rooftop terrace. We both ordered Indian dishes as our main course and shared them along with some rice and rotis. I highly recommend this place.

Ambience is not that great but decent, we have to climb a steep staircase to reach the restaurant with no hand railing. It was difficult. But there was no one in the restaurant at the time so we had plenty of room for ourselves. We ordered chicken mandi serving for 2 and got both Tandoori chicken and Al faham half half with the Mandi. Tandoori was good, Rice was flavorful, shorba kind of thing they gave tasted okay. Alfaham chicken was dry dint raate aa good as Tandoori.

Worst Biriyani I ever had!! I ordered Mutton biriyani but I got yellow plain rice with mutton pieces. I have asked for little gravy to at least taste like non veg they said they ll not provide for Biriyani..

I developed taste of south indian briyani too. If cooked with good and tender mutton, it satisfies your taste buds like anything. Mutton briyani at Akbar was, i will try again anytime.

I visited this place with friends. The decor is a stunning mix of modernity and Culture, Their Art work is great and their Swing seating is unique. We were delighted by there taste. We had lunch here... Taste wise a good biriyani for their cost. Ambience is not okay if you go with family. Their chicken pakoda is overcoat and not worth for it. Their brinjal gravy is so good (consistency). In pondicherry this shop is okay to have biriyani., & This one is tastes better than other some famous biriyani shop in pondicherry.

Very generous quantity, and the price is very reasonable. The brinjal and onion salad are very nice. While the chicken biriyani is okay, the flavor improves significantly if you keep it one night in the fridge. It was really delicious the next day. We especially appreciated that the biriyani is not too salty or too spicy.

I bought mutton Biriyani , too salty I think I wasted my 450 rupees(2 mutton and 1mutton kuska) special recommendation do buy any mutton biriyani there.

Service was worst literally we confirmed our order three times one girl took the order at last we didn’t all the items as she forget to add . and after that for her we were like ghost and only 2 customers were there including us . One fellow bring plate for one person and left and was using mobile . We asked about these service issue and that girl never came near to us .
