Baker Café was an amazing place! Even though it was a bit overcrowded because of all the hype, trust me it’s totally worth it. The quality in the Beverage & Confectionery segment was top-notch, rich in flavor, and absolutely satisfying. The only thing that could be improved is the seating arrangement. Overall, it’s a 10/10 experience and a must-try spot when you’re in Pondicherry. I loved the place for its offerings in the Beverage & Confectionery segment!

Great Food, Fun Vibe, but Slightly Pricey The food is amazing as always, making it a great spot to hang out with friends. It’s a bit on the expensive side, but the overall experience is enjoyable. The restroom was clean and decent, and the uniquely designed tap was a nice touch!

I recently visited Baker Street in Pondicherry, a must-visit destination recommended by my friend. French delicacies is what's written outside....with French colonial structure, color the place looked very inviting...hence we stepped in to indulge in French baking cuisine.. This place is a must visit if you have a sweet tooth for sweet bakery items..it smelt like I've entered my final destination of me being elevated into food indulging. We ordered a chocolate croissant and a baked cheesecake...the croissant was fluffy, light, with layers of flaky bread and strong chocolate enough to make the combination a perfect one....and the baked cheesecake was beyond any words I have to describe....very different from the ones I eat in Mumbai thinking how great they're. If you're coming to pondicherry, this place is a must visit for all you sweet tooth companions of mine...

The famous eatery for confectioneries in Pondy, but sadly we didn’t like the any of it much as it was hyped. Ordered for Tiramisu, Mango cheesecake, Trocadera and Lemon Tart, all of us these were 3/5 in taste. We also took kombucha in different flavours such as lime, hibiscus too and it was good.

Service was very unwelcoming, maybe because I was a tourist there. I waited for my turn with calm and patience to order but nobody paid attention, people who came after me got their orders. I called out to them, a lady who was working there went "mam have patience please!" in a rude tone with disgusted expressions on her face. It was with us only. Even the cashier had unwelcoming expressions. Another humble lady who was cleaning tables was really kind though and took my order. Anyways food was really tasty and good quality, I tried éclairs, biscuits and cheesecake all flavourful and well crafted. Overall Pondicherry is a substandard place to visit, not much to experience besides people's unfriendly and manipulative behaviour to tourists for money.

Visited Cafe Des Arts during Christmas holidays, after listening to a huge hype for this place from my friends. The ambience was great. However, after waiting in a long queue, the food & its taste made it a slightly disappointing experience. However, the place has a good vibe. If you haven't visited this place, you could visit for once to experience an authentic french cafe.

It's a heritage French house tastefully converted/restored into a café. The food is decent not really exceptional as such. Cafe is famous for its breakfast and brunch. If you wanna click some nice pictures, this is the place for you. Nice ambiance,friendly staff. Fresh bakery goods and fresh food made all the time. You can even buy organic vegan products from there. They amazing indoor and outdoor seating and bookshelf loaded with books to enjoy reading while have some nice brunch or snacks.

Not worth the wait of 60 Minutes, and yes I'm saying this being a foodie myself. Will not recommend this place for food. Food is overpriced, limited and do not preserve the authenticity of the food itself taste wise. Will say, take photographs outside and leave, that's more worthy. The foreigner lady aka the owner of this place is really rude, she insulted my friend for leaving a bad review and also commented on our upbringing, which is anti-Indian in nature. Would never come to this place again.

What a gem café in the middle of Pondi. We absolutely loved everything about this beautiful place. Vintage chic indian deco with some little gem French & Indian sculptures. The atmosphere is cool & soft, large spaces where you feel at home with enough space for your group of friends ( I saw large tables up to 14 guests outside) and small area for 2 to 6 people. The food is excellent, quality is top class, the fruit bowl was generous, fresh, the salad with grapefruit was refreshing and delicious. My children loved the croque monsieur and the crepes. We felt so grateful to have such a place in India. Best breakfast, best lunch, best brunch and best afternoon tea. The Masala chai tea was again generous with a pot for 2. Bravo to all the multilingual team working hard in the background.

An okay experience at Cafe des arts. The food was decent, but nothing extraordinary. Service was fine, although it could be more attentive. All the staffs were showing over attitude towards their customers. Overall, a decent option if you're in the area, but there are better choices available.

Zuka is Home made chocolates. Verity of chocolates available. Chocolate taste is really good. The also have white chocolate. Ice cream available. Some single pieces of chocolates cost you around Rs. 50-60. Packed all types of chocolates cost around Rs. 500 to 1300 approx. Every time when we visit Pondicherry we must visit here.

The best brownie spot in the white town. Not just Brownies, must try their chocolates, pastries, ice creams, cakes for occasions and hot chocolates🔥 Good service. Not enough place to sit and eat so to go is the best option or you can get it in paper plates to eat and wander in the streets with your friends. 10/10 for the varieties of brownies ✅✅✅✅

I ordered Ferrero rocher gelato, dark forest cheesecake gelato and MasterChef chocolate cake slice. The gelatos were yummy and creamy. The cake was average, a little too wet for my liking.

I tried 'touch of gianduja mango cheesecake' and it is delectable!!! I hope I can try it again on a next Pondi trip Additionally the staff was very polite, we also saw that the ceiling had many beautiful chocolate butterflies, not pictured here.

Visited this cafe in the evening for some good coffee and snacks. The coffee was too good here which was filled pro the brim of the cup. The chicken sandwich too amazing with the sea view but sadly we visited after the sunset and hence could enjoy the sound of waves along the food. The Cold Coffee too was amazing. The apple cart tasted fine. This restaurant is open 24/7 serving food right beside the Gandhi Statue. You can always stroll through the beach. It’s self service here.

The food is not good. Honestly, the burger tastes like a 50 rs burger. The fries are really bad. The cheesecake is not fresh; it already settled. Check out the image for reference. The mocaccino is not really a mocaccino. People come here to take photos from the roof. The food is really overpriced, and the kitchen hygiene is average. The burger had raw capsicum in it, like cold stuff.

Visited Indian Kaffee Express after seeing on Instagram, one of must visit places for breakfast. The ambience of the place was good. We ordered for Chilli cheese toast which was amazing and tasted delicious. French toast looked lovely as in the seen the pics which was served with some salads and french fries but sadly the French toast didn’t taste good. The bread wasn’t soaked in properly, it was dry from inside. The manager spoke to us and he was kind enough to give us discount for 2 French toast and also took the feedback positively. We have definitely tried much better French toasts than this place as the manager said we were the first ones to complaint about this. Rest of things like French fries, salad and chilli cheese toast was good.

One of the silent and neat cafe in Pondicherry right inside French colony. It will close by 9pm so need to reach early. Only problem parking in road side and it may attract fine. Lasangne and chicken sandwich was really tasty.

We have been coming to this place for years, but sadly the standards seems to have declined gradually over time. The interiors are still pleasant. The food though visually appealing, misses the mark taste - wise. We ordered the English breakfast, Kafe Mocha, Mushroom Omlette, French toast and Waffle with ice cream n Nutella. Kafe Mocha was the only highlight. English breakfast was decent. The rest of the food was a disappointment. Mushroom omelette wasn’t fluffy and had uneven salt - some bites were too salty to eat. Both the flavour and texture seemed off. The waffle was chewy and slightly burnt on one side. And the spread didn’t taste like Nutella, more like a cheaper version. The French toast was an utter disaster. It was neither soft nor moist like a French toast should be. Also I fail to understand why every dish including the English breakfast came with a side of French Fries. It felt unnecessary and out of place. The washroom was under maintenance and the hand wash area wasn’t clean. Overall, a totally underwhelming experience and we do not see ourselves returning.

An Indian French style cafe with good ambience but very high price, like a a lime is cost 150 Rs..!!! So just aware that this is very very cosy place but you can sit and relax and enjoy the calmness.. Good portraits and structure with english touch in the architecture..

Have been visiting this place since 2015 on an annual basis, and over the last few visits there has been a sharp decline in quality. Ordered English BF, mushroom omelette, waffles with Nutella and French toast. The omelette was slightly burnt and salty in bits, Nutella was substituted with some cheaper product, and the French toast was not properly soaked. Also why add cheap fries and peanuts to every dish? The place also lacks proper upkeep, with wash area being outright dirty. This was once our favourite spot for breakfast in Pondy - sadly those days seem firmly in the past.

We went for breakfast. Ordered an English breakfast and open toast sour dough mushroom sandwich. The food tasted good. Quantity and quality worth the money. The service was slow. They gave us the English breakfast first which was for my husband. He had almost finished eating his dish and my dish had still not come! 🤷🏻‍♀️

We went there after lunch for desert and coffee, it was full but they are well organised. They called us after 15-20 mins wait. The ambience is cool with trees in the middle and seating is pretty nice. We ordered pista cake, apple pie and a Capachino.it took some time but not that too much. We liked everything thing. This place is a must visit - for whatever time. Lunch/Dinner/coffee, it works for everything. Menu is extensive!!

Coromandel Café, White Town — every corner here is pure aesthetic and perfect for photos! The café has multiple sections — a lovely outdoor area with plants, cozy indoor seating with a restaurant vibe, and an upstairs space with a vintage café feel. Each corner has its own unique charm. We had a great experience here! The food was amazing — we tried the Mediterranean Pizza (so good, especially with the Greek dip!) and the Mason & Co Chunky Blondie. The blondie was nice, though I wish it was a bit softer. The pizza, however, was absolutely perfect. The service was good, and overall, I was really impressed by the café’s aesthetic and warm vibe.

Terrific ambience and super fast service. Loved the vibe at the cafe especially the outdoor seating area. Coming to the food, I ordered a crispy aubergine roll which I expected would be good but didn't have much taste and the sauce served with it was a little too tangy. The caramelized onion and goat cheese pizza was fantastic and had the perfect balance in taste and uniform spread of ingredients. The dough was well fermented, airy and crispy which made the pizza very enjoyable. Though a little pricey, I would rate it a 4/5 on the food and 5/5 on service and atmosphere!

Good French cafe which has a beautiful interiors coupled with trees around, there is a bakery. You get only Jain pizza if you are a Jain. They have a whole variety of menu catered to veg and non veg dishes. Coffee was good. Nutella donut esp for kids. Good place to hangout.

Seating capacity is very limited. The food is okay-ish when compared with the cost. The cheesecake was a bit too sweet, so was the hot chocolate, rest all was okay. Try it if you're around, just ask the guy to limit sugar in anything he prepares for you.

La Petit Forte is a tiny spot, and I mean tiny - with just two tables and four chairs. It's the kind of place that makes you wonder what all the fuss is about. And honestly, some of the hype is a bit much. Their mini macarons, for example, were pretty disappointing. I wouldn't recommend them. However, they do have one thing going for them: the cold coffee. It's genuinely refreshing, with a really nice, creamy texture and a good balance of coffee flavor. It's definitely the highlight of the menu. The pastries were decent enough. Overall, La Petit Forte feels a bit overhyped. If you're really craving a good cold coffee, it might be worth squeezing in. But otherwise, it's a pretty average experience.

Beautiful cafe with mirrors on the roof and the walls. Tasted Beef steak and virgin mojito which were just ok only ; very expensive. The salient feature of this cafe is their vibe and customer service which was commendable. Entrance was beautiful; like a French house.

I am not big fan of bekery items, but I visited this place to cheer up my niece. It's a small place and seating capacity is vey low. Even outdoor seating. I had virgin mojito, it was so good. My niece ans sister had some pastries and enjoyed a lot.

I’ve had a mixed experience at Cafe Le Pettit Four. The cheesecake and Korean burger were good, which brought me back to try the twister and whole wheat bread. While the twister was good, the bread was a big letdown — soggy, undercooked, and had a strong smell, likely from uncooked fermented dough. I hope this can be improved, in future.

The cafe is located on roofed on the first floor, light music and the cool breeze made up for a great ambiance. This is Cozy Spot for who loves Continental Food. We ordered below dishes; MOROCCAN CHICKEN TARTINE - Bread with chicken and veggies along with their special sauce. CROISSANT - Croissants were baked to perfection, with the perfect crunch outside and tenderness inside. CAPPUCCINO - It was a perfect cappuccino. SPANISH LATTE - All the items were delicious. What really makes the experience stand out is the staff - welcoming staff with attentive polite nature. I recommend this place for those who are looking for relaxing dining experience with great and calm company.

They have two branches — one in Auroville and one in White Town, Pondicherry. The White Town one has a better vibe, bigger space, and feels like a proper café. Since it’s a tourist spot, you might have to wait around 30 minutes or more, but the service is good and everything’s freshly made. I tried their Tropical Smoothie Bowl — totally worth the hype, super yummy! My friend loved her order too. Overall, a really nice experience.

Had a great experience at Bread & Chocolate! The food was outstanding—especially the sourdough pizza, which was perfectly baked with a rich, tangy crust and fresh toppings. Every bite was a treat. This is a stylish place for a western style breakfast. We enjoyed ours here. The meals were well presented and tasty. The coffee was excellent too. The only downside is their failure to coordinate the arrival of meals at the table. Two times in a row my meal came after my three companions had finished their meals!

A cozy cafe with good food. The crepes were very tasty. The ingredients used are fresh. The service was good. They have a small boutique for some clothes, soaps and aloe vera based skin products. Chocolate cake with ice cream is a must try.

The crepes, the drinks, the ambience and the service everything was top-notch! Especially loved how the owner came and explained the menu patiently and suggested what we would like and we loved it.

Sweet little spot for a decent crepe. It’s quiet and clean. There are also little shops inside where you can buy things. I bought a really nice ceramic mug and some incenses for a very reasonable price.

Ahh a welcome change of food and good set of variations with crepe. The salad was fresh and the vinegarette was yummy. Tea was a bit bitter .. overall great food

Tried the apple pie from Hot Breads. It had a lot of nuts in it, which was interesting, but the taste wasn’t very smooth or satisfying. Felt like something was missing. Also, the price seemed a bit too high for what it was. I felt that the taste of the food was influenced by the paper box used for packaging. The cardboard smell affected the flavor of the food items.

Best place for breakfast! We’ve almost tried everything on the menu and every dish has been spot on. The food is fresh, flavorful, and feels like comfort. We even pack some to take back to Bangalore every time! That’s how good it is. Sometimes, my wife and I just take a morning drive all the way there, just to enjoy breakfast again. Totally worth it every single time!

After seeing the reviews i decided to visit it for breakfast. Its interesting to pick what you need on a tray and then with the help of staff heat it up to have it there. Many foreigners frequent there. It was a Saturday morning & I didn't find any of the breads/puffs, loafs on display fresh enough or true to the the reviews. The veg sandwich I ordered was made fresh on order and it tasted better than the displayed goodies. Nonetheless must visit just to find out whats hype about.

Good varieties of bakery stuffs available. cookies are great. pastries are good. The best thing is , bread and other baked items are always fresh. Recently tried the caramel milk cake and mango milk cake … it absolutely delicious.. mouthwatering.. couldn’t resist it… my kid’s all time favourite is the chocolate donut… blueberry cheese cake was also good … if you are looking for fresh pastries … this is the best place…. Highly recommended

As being a customer about more than 10 years experience,it was a good place in the early times.. Now it becomes more casual style wirh providing paper cups and paper plates for expensive foody items , and not enough staffs and bread is not enough quality. Hotbread must maintain theire quality and service. Thats the expectation of the customers.. Please orinted uplift the service and materials.. It will be good.

The place is cute and the pasties are very nice. You can sit outside or on the terrace. The service is very good. We tried the Japanese cake and chocolate croissant. They have a nice little cute ambience. The effect is due to the colours. Nice soothing colours of the restaurant. There’s no parking space available .

Quite and calm ambience. The rooftop sitting area has a very nice and aesthetic touch to it. The time we visited we had to wait a lot for our food, which is annoying. But the taste of the food made up for it. Overall a nice , calm experience 👌.

Quaint little cafe set on a quiet street serving delicious food! Went here upon a recommendation by the chef at Chez Artizan. The place is run by women coming from vulnerable local communities. I ordered some French toast with Beetroot detox juice and a croissant just for sampling. Everything was quite delicious! Though the croissants at Baker Street might have an edge over these. I was greatly impressed with the idea of having the place run by local women trained in French baking arts. Remarkably noble venture! The seating is upstairs and is quite rustic. The staff is extremely polite and courteous. Definitely worth trying!

I had an amazing breakfast at "Eat My Cake" in Pondicherry, a delightful bakery run by a talented team of women. Enjoying homemade treats on their rooftop, surrounded by trees, was a unique and serene experience. The food is very good, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Highly recommend for a peaceful and delicious start to your day!

On my visit to pondicherry this is one of the cafes that I have visited. In one look, fell in love with it's aesthetic ambience. I had breakfast from here, ordered fruity pancakes with maple syrup. The pancakes were super fluffy like clouds and the fruits and powdered sugar garnished over the pancakes were simply additional goodness to it. I recommend this place to all people who are in to small, aesthetic cafes, were you can dine in outside. This is the right place for you.

Service is damn good, but has limited menu to opt from, place is innovative. You have terrace seating (roof top) but not open, it’s the hut roof. The view from the cafe is good. Quality of the food is good, though the quantity is less for the price that is paid. But coffee isn’t that great. Give a try to taste cakes. Menu isn’t that special

New farm fresh at white town serves wood fired pizza and pasta and they do taste lovely. We had a royal vegetarian , red pasta and freshly made garlic bread.. the taste was wonderful

All the pizza variety was good to taste. Serving was fast. Pasta was not that tasty and I tried two of their varieties, white and red. Also I tried their Ice tea and it was awesome. I could not consume everything so the balance they packed for me. Street parking only. Easily locatable. Good ambience.

I ate here both the days I had been in Pondicherry. Looved it! Pizza is hands down absolutely amazing here. I tried different Mojitos as well, but the star of the gluttony was their thin crust, wood fired, heavy on the toppings succulent pizza. This place is cute, cozy, tucked at the cross-section of two streets. There was seating arrangement for solo travellers like me, the thing I adored the most about this place. The boys are efficient at their best, humble; but for some unfathomable reasons, they are painfully understaffed. Actually at the week at the year-end, Pondicherry is buzzing with tourists, so this placd should have been prepared on that front, but they weren't, which baffled me. They were trying their best, but due to some reason, availability was an issue too. I didn't get to taste Chicken Lasagna both the days. The food alone doesn't make up what you are, the experience that customers take with them, make up what you are, just like this review, my fellow reveiwers' review is making one. So guys, your food is amazing, just manage yourselves well. Hoping for a flawless food experience the next time I visit Pondicherry.

One of the best places to have authentic wood fired pizza in Pondicherry! The pizzas they have are really good with thin crust and nice lemonades to add. When I visited pre-covid they were at a different place. Now they have moved closer to the beach road and exactly opposite the Governor's office and Bharati Park. The location is prime, but the place became a bit congested. The place is small. When we visited now (Aug 2023) for lunch there was a power outage and their inverter was also down. Had a horrific experience, eating hot pizzas in the afternoon heat without even a fan!

The pizza here is to die for, quite likely the best pizza I've had so far. The service is super quick and the hosts are very friendly and welcoming. The place is quite ambient with very minimalistic decor. Would definitely recommend to people visiting Pondicherry. Looking forward to checking in again soon.

Ordered a baby's 1st birthday cake. The design is actually good but the taste is average.

Delaying in accepting the order, pastries were so dry but telling all were fresh.cream cakes were not edible, it's like dry smooch.

They have chocochip cookies, japanish cookies, plain and chocolate cakes paked. Plain maringue and almond rocher. They have variety of croissant, quiche , donut, pasteries, tarte and eclaire. They will get fresh order for party cake and provide you in minimum of half hour. Cost seems less when compare to it's competitors.

Bon Bakes has become Daily Bread. A friend had shared a chocolate eclair purchased there, and I was hooked ! The chocolate was smooth and yummy, and since there have been more visits. I have had only the eclair, so am w*o comments on their food or other offerings.

Bon Bakes is long gone, the place has been bought over by Daily Breads. Nevertheless the differences between the two places are indistinguishable! Great service and great breakfast spot. Their coffee wasn't the best but their pastries and baked goodies are pretty good!

We have ordered a cake for my daughter's first birthday. As we are very excited about her first birthday and strived hard to make it as a memorable event. So, we searched for best in everything. While searching for cakes, we got DL cakers. We went there and ordered for a cake. They have given us a warm welcome, offered a piece of cake, staff are very kind and showed the model cakes. They are very open for our expectations and ready to provide any type of combination we need. Based on their approach, We expected a much expensive cake, but the rates are comparably lesser than leading cake shops in the city. We have given some model pics also to them and asked for the same design. Even after that we don't have trust that the cake will come as per our expectation. But, the cake they delivered was more than our expectations. It was made very artistically by skillful persons. The Barbie doll was brilliantly colored. The fondants are superb and the cherry border was awesome. The taste was simply delicious......Everybody just loved that cake... Thanks to DL cakers for making our little princess first birthday a memorable one with the fantastic cake......
