This park is absolutely beautiful! It’s a great park to explore with your family. My kids loved the playground and nature center. I enjoyed viewing the Bison at the pasture. This park is the best park to see wildlife animals. I’ll definitely have to come back to view more of this huge park.

The spring weather is worth the trip to behold the plethora of wild flowers! Spring trillium is now opening (April 23) ! I photographed at least a dozen others. Go in the first entrance to the very end. Park near the playground and start walking the trails.... slowly. A quick walk will miss the subtle shades of flowers just off the trail. Take shoes that can handle mud.

Nice place to explore. There are trails to walk to see bison. The nature center has a large dish tank, which is really neat. We went there on a homeschool field trip, and all the kids enjoyed it, ages 8-18.

I've been to this park many times here in Ohio. We've had many Church functions here and recently had a baptism! I'm thankful for this park!

I wish I had more time to explore this park, very quiet and peaceful. Saw there was trails you can see bison, will put that on my list for next time.

It’s an absolutely gorgeous, huge park! If you get the chance, ask a park ranger for a Metro Parks Passport — you can use it to explore other Columbus parks, collect stamps along the way, and even trade them in for a free commemorative T-shirt.

Had very nice 2 mile hike at first parking lot to right after entrance on unimproved path. Saw a deer. Keep dog on leash. One of the few unpaved trails where dogs on leash are allowed. Had resting benches along the way. Had dog water station at beginning with poop bags available. Please pick up after your dog!!

Stunning park with amazing trails. The nature center offers programming year round with 2 playgrounds. Super accessible for all ages and ablements. Highly recommend for anyone who loves creeks and a good trail.

Fantastic park, great for walking, flat in the Big Meadow, or tackle some moderate climbs on the Dipping Rock trail or the Outlook trail. Most trails are tree covered, great for the hot sunny summer days.

I love this park. It’s very clean and peaceful. The scenery is wonderful and there’s a lot of different trails. This park also offers a large list of events.

This park is amazing close to Polaris. There are a lot of kids playgrounds and bbq areas. The river overlook trail is not short with natural trails. The river overlook scenery in the end is not too impressive, but the trail walk is peaceful.

Love this park. The trails vary. I go here to workout and I’m not disappointed. There’s multiple trails with inclines, slopes and a low incline. The bathrooms are clean as well as the park. Plenty of parking space. My new favorite place.

5 mile hike, cut it short because I forgot bug spray. First time there in 3 years, not sure why I don't visit more often. Great park

Well maintained, wide trails. I enjoyed the nature center with its many fascinating critters. (The spotted salamander was my favorite.) In early October and late September, there are a variety of goldenrods and asters in bloom. I also enjoyed the spacious bird blinds at the lake. Kudos to the park for putting up a chimney swift tower.

Very shady—they mean the “woods” part—so probably a great place to take a walk on hotter days. We went to the nature center and went to the pond lookouts to look for critters. The center is nice and simple with friendly folks. The pond was very vegetated. We saw a heron, turtles, and ducks. The path was paved, so good for every weather. The park is right off 161, and the parking lot had tons of spots available even on a 65 degree sunny Sunday at 1pm

Really disappointed in this park. There is only one very short, poorly maintained trail that allows dogs and is almost entirely directly in the sun. Columbus is a distinctly not dog-friendly city and the metro parks reflect that. It’s not safe for young women by themselves to walk alone in the woods and the deficit of dog friendly trails effectively ensure we cannot enjoy the woods by ourselves

Absolute love this park! It’s one of the best I’ve ever been too! There’s so much to do! It’s very clean and up to date! They have an all inclusive play ground that has a fence around it! Super nice that toddlers can have freedom safely! Definitely recommend!

Half a century ago this was the Metropark that we would go to when I was a child and it was a wonderful space to be in. Now the trails are all made of gravel and wide enough to drive a truck down them. It is entirely surrounded by development. That said it is still a very nice place to walk and be away. The shelter houses are simply wonderful architecturally and functionally. Nice playground spaces for the kids as well as one that is nature-based.

This park is excellent for the whole family! I took my Chaos Twins to the accessible park and it was thee BEST! Gated and lots of safe play, even for littles. We had a wonderful time. Except when it was time to leave... as usual. My toddlers have perfected their "I don't wanna leave" meltdowns.

Love this place. I come here a few times a week to paddle board. On the smaller side, but very clean. We always see turtles, birds, and fish. The rangers are very involved and seem like they truly care about your safety.

This park has the best rangers! Very east to talk with and ask questions. Taking the kids to this park now for over 20 yard and seeing it grow into such a beautiful reserve for our community. There are events all the time to check out for all ages. There is a lot of construction going on.

Beautiful park - but the experience is ruined by all the off leash untrained dogs that will harass you while walking. And of course the dog poop thoughout the trails. At least I hope it's dog poop hard telling this close to Columbus.

Amazing park! The trails are easy to follow, and you can really customize how far or long you want to walk. Great for dogs. Awesome sunset views! It's definitely worth the trip. I find it best to park by the dog park area instead of the main, but that's just personal preference.

Nice park. There's a great dog beach where dogs can swim without a leash. There are plenty of walking trails and fun equipment for kids. Fishing seems to be popular. Trying to find the dog beach, fishing or anywhere else, however, is a struggle since there is poor signage. If there is more than one entrance to the park that do not join the other parcels, there should be large signs on the main roads directing traffic to each entrance and available activities. The State Parks do a great job with their signage. Their's are easy to navigate. And we can't always rely on cell service for directions or the park paper map. There are so many things that Prairie Oaks has to offer. Don't let us miss any of it, because we can't find it.

What a great park. Trails, open fields, woods, ponds, wetlands, observation tower, nature center and much more. All right in the heart of Columbus. I loved it here. And they have nice restrooms.

Nice park with the partially climbable water tower, outdoor rock climbing (shorter and taller - bring own harness), playground and more with lots of parking and views of the large bridge.

There are some super cool features to this park (climbing wall! cool playground!). But I think overall it was overhyped. There’s not really a view of the river from the park. I also heard it was a good place to watch sunset, but the view from other parks north on the river (like around Cosi) are much better in my opinion. Still, it had a very metro-park vibe in that you really are surrounded by some green nature but also can see some of the city.

This place is so fun and for free! Go inside the learning center.theres a play room with climbing thing.and things for imagination play! Check out the back pacs! And go exploring in the nature preserve! The backpacs have everything you need to discover,explore and have great fun.pack a picnic for the outside play area .go climb a big rock or play on playground or go up a million steps to top of tower to see cols city scape..Great great place my 4yr old loves it here.my 13 yr old didn't mind either!

Just a good place to go right next to the city and get a cool breeze and some shade all while feeling like the country

Highway/road noise, also kinda smelled like a sewer at times? But otherwise is a nice gravel/paved metro path. Points of interest are the firetower and canopy bridge. There were also some cool mushrooms and some very large pawpaw trees!

It’s a great park with several different areas. There is an archery, disc golf course, a launching area for kayaking. Several overnight campsites, and lots and lots of picnic space there are grills covered areas shelters. The trails are very clean, paved and gravel. The best part was getting to go up the lookout tower and see downtown Columbus on a clear day.

It has a great open area next to the river for all species entertainment, if you care about nature! It also has an archery 🏹 site and may shaded areas. Definitely planning to cone back

🛶This kayaking trip at Scioto Grove Metro Park was absolutely amazing! A group of us set off from the Upper Canoe/Kayak launch and paddled downstream for about 7 miles (around 2.5 hours) until we reached the ramp at Mackey Ford Wildlife area. The water was a bit low in some spots along the way, but we never had to carry our kayaks overland, which was such a relief! We even spotted an eagle soaring high in the sky, took a break at a sandbar to refuel, and finished the journey strong. I can't wait to come back after some rain to experience the stronger flow. This place has a great open area right next to the river where you can spot all sorts of wildlife. If you're a nature lover, it's a must-visit! There's also an archery site 🏹 and plenty of shaded spots. I've tried the 3D archery and the regular target range here before, and both were really fun. But my favorite part is the hiking trails; they're so well-maintained! The campsites are absolutely perfect too. This has become my family's go-to spot for disconnecting from the hustle and bustle and immersing ourselves in nature. We'll definitely be back—this Metro park is one of our favorites! It's incredibly open and full of endless adventures.

Absolutely awesome time. Group of us jumped in at Scioto Grove Metro Park Upper Canoe/Kayak launch in Kayaks. Floated down 7 or so miles (about 2 1/2 hr float) to Mackey Ford Wildlife area ramp and got out. Great trip water was low in spots but never had to portage through. Seen Eagle flying high, stopped at a sand bar for some fuel and finished strong. Can't wait to go again after some rain hits to see the flow. High recommended. #YakOn

This park is amazing. Plenty of things to do whether you’re an adult or child. They have everything from bike paths to walking paths, a beautiful fishing catch and release lake, and multiple play areas for little ones and older kids as well. They offer lots of picnic areas and park benches, this park has it all. They have a natural play area too. They have walking trails through the woods and ones that are paved so truly something for everyone. It was busy but there’s so many different areas and they each of lots of parking so you shouldn’t have trouble finding a spot. They also have handicap parking spots too. I love that they have dog bags available for pet waste and plenty of trash receptacles too.

Hiking, biking and general outdoor activity are available here. Plenty of parking and opportunity to gather with friends or just be alone on a nice nature walk. Playgrounds are well designed and the bathroom facilities were clean and stocked. Having lived in Columbus in the past, I knew of Sharon woods but hadn't visited myself. It was a nice morning walk and exercise prior to meeting some folks for brunch. Definitely will hike and exercise there again.

I’ve been coming to Sharon Woods for years. I had a blast yesterday fishing, hiking, and enjoying the weather for the first time this year. I would definitely recommend it. The only con was that because it was such a nice day, there was very little parking available. Other than that I would have gave it five stars.

A beautiful, spacious garden with walking paths and bicycle paths. It has a shelter, children's games, and bathrooms, but it needs more attention and cleanliness. It has a lake where fish can be caught, but with difficulty.

I love running at Sharon Woods, but the new lane markings have made things more confusing rather than helpful. The path now has separate lanes for bikes and pedestrians, but it’s extremely rare to see bikes here. Instead, people often walk on both sides, sometimes facing each other, which creates unnecessary confusion and safety issues for those of us who run. It would be great to have better signage or reconsider the layout to match how the trail is actually used.

A beautiful place to take a nice calming walk. Love walking by the lake and enjoy the water. Lots of areas to sit and relax or to have a picnic. Even have BBQ grills you can use if you wish. Remember tho... no alcohol permitted (just a PSA)

I've found Sharon Woods a peaceful, comfortable place to go! It's a beautiful place to go, to relax, to walk around the lake or walk, hike on one of their trails! Easy to get in and out of the park and plenty of good parking! Plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors! It's dog friendly to take them on a walk!

Did not walk the entirety of the promenade as we had a few other stops in the city. The part we did walk was super clean and provided a great view of downtown. Really enjoyed the area, architecture and art.

Beautiful, peaceful, and well-kept! Blacklick Woods is a hidden gem. The trails are clean and easy to follow, with lots of shade and spots to sit and enjoy nature. I was especially impressed by how neat and well-maintained the restrooms were—super clean, fully stocked, and no bad smells, which is rare for a park! Also, no entry fees, which is amazing for everything you get. Great place for a relaxing walk, picnic, or even some birdwatching. Definitely coming back!

I did not do trails went for the canopy walk, it is short but did not disappoint! There are a bunch of steps, however for those who have medical/physical limitations there is an elevator. The environment is serene and beautiful, amazing as it is in the middle of a large bustling community! There are trails, which are well maintained, and offers ability to work out while getting your cardio on, there is a playground area for the kids, overall I highly recommend!!

It's an incredible park, it's a very large area to naturalize, with many paths that connect you to all areas of the park, the area of ​​​​the elevated walkways are spectacular, I definitely highly recommend it to go with families.

The canopy walk is very cool. Great place to get in some nature time. There are stairs and an elevator to get to the top.

What a great Metro Park! The canopy walk was much smaller than I thought it would be but it was still fun and unique. The walking paths were paved and well maintained, there are huge park area and outdoor workout/stretching areas, and the nature center was really nice!

One of the most beautiful parks in all of Columbus. It has a huge bridge to walk across, an extensive bike path, a pond with a family of turtles always sunbathing, and plenty of trails for hiking in the woods. End of October before the frost hits is the best time to go the trees are so beautiful!

We got married this summer at Three Creeks Metro Park at the ceremony area near the pond. It was PERFECT for our micro wedding! Clean, grass was very green, not vey crowded either!

Lovely place with the Blue Bell walk, and entertainment for all ages. Additionally, the bike trail is connected to the entire state.

It’s a rough launch but doable. The place is quiet! Has a great flow and lots of shade. There is places to get out and relax during your float. I give it a 3 because the ramp which is nothing is really a challenge getting your kayak out after a hard paddle

First time getting to the Turtle pond area. loved it was hardly anyone there. very clean and week kept. going to be going back.usually go to the other part of three creeks off Williams and go to the creek.

Trail is OK but parking here is a pain. All OSU campus so all paid parking and then not sure if you can even park here. Parked in a shopping center and rode over to the trail. Tree roots has lifted some sections of the black top trail so it is bumpy. Other sections under construction or gone due to new housing. A few nice bridges over the river and some of the trail goes under the main roads which eliminates street crossings. Glad I checked it out.

Great trail system. I biked it (road bike) and it is a friendly mix of walkers, runners, bikes, strollers, dogs, etc. Not crowded but definately enjoyed by the community.

Nice walking and biking trail downtown. Connecting to other trails makes it a nice way to get around Columbus while getting exercise

Love walking my dog daily on the trail. Some days there are lots of joggers and bikes, but most are courteous when passing. Beautiful flowers, nature, often see deer.

Great for biking, scenic views, however, not for biking kids. You will find lots of people racing and trying to pass you which does not feel safe at all and is not worth the adventure.

One of my favorite trails! If you’re looking for a long bike ride/jog, it is an excellent trail to start from the top and take it down to the Mile trail. It’s well kept and you have a great view of nature and the River. 5/5!

It is almost fall, but the Columbus Park of Roses is still in glorious bloom! Roses as far as the eye can see! I found a couple that smelled heavenly. I took many pictures of individual roses and buds that were just perfect! You can see some below. Funny thing is the park was not even on the itinerary, but we had about an hour to spare, so we thought, let’s go see the rose garden! What an excellent decision! I highly recommend this little excursion.

Such a beautiful & tranquil place to relax. Took these photos back in May, so thats the perfect time to see all the flowers in bloom. Enjoyed strolling around and looking at all the unique flowers. While visiting I saw many artists who were there painting & drawing, people were walking their dogs and taking photos with their familes. Its a very nice and accessible park. Great for solo walks to immerse yourself in or to enjoy with friends or family.

Well maintained park with large variety of roses. The roses were all in bloom when we went in June. Luckily it was a sunny day and made it even more enjoyable. Plenty of parking and no entrance fee. Lots of benches to sit in to admire the beauty of this park.

The Park of Roses in full bloom is a breathtaking sight rows upon rows of vibrant flowers create a colorful, fragrant escape. Beyond the gardens, there’s plenty to enjoy: peaceful walking trails, picnic spots, playgrounds, and open fields perfect for games or relaxation. Whether you’re strolling among the roses, taking photos, or joining seasonal events, it’s a wonderful place to spend a day outdoors with family and friends.

Truly a special park. I consider it to be naturally divided into 3 beautiful sections, the park of roses (it's namesake) is a gorgeous area with every kind of rose imaginable. Truly a spectacle to behold. Then you have the playground/ open field/ sports section that also has a lovely pond that they're currently redoing so there is construction there at the moment. Lastly, my favorite part, is the wildlife area. A wooded area with a watershed/ creek and foot paths that is a safe haven for well behaved dogs off leash. That same segment has a rehabilitated wildflower prairie section that has paths mowed into it. And it all flows together sitting right next to the Olentangy river. Hidden right in the middle of the City of Columbus. It doesn't get much better.

The Cincinnati butterfly park was nice. This park is just as cared for and maintained. Roses of more varieties than I could ever hope to learn, all arranged and labeled. If an Excel spreadsheet ran a garden it would look like this. I believe the other gardens are a part of the Park. Though not roses, the other plants with their labels helped me recognize a lot of the plants I've been seeing in the Metro Parks.

It is a relaxing place to wander about if you like to get your steps in, even better if you like plants. There were other types of plants apart from roses such as herbs, coneflowers, hibiscus, etc. Even the trees were named. If you get tired, there are plenty of benches or gazebos you can rest in. Would recommend!

Scenic view of the lake and surrounding forest all year long! Easy access from parking lot under SR 315. It helps to stay on your side of the paved bike path—or use the bike-free inner gravel path.

Lovely park. Loops around with the walking trail as well as a separate bike trail. As you can see, the scenery is beautiful. There were ducks at one end and and a leashed dog went swimming at another end. Great place for a leisurely stroll or more active run. Fun to catch up with a friend.

This is my favorite local park. There is a lot of parking and I'm the back is a walking loop that goes around a pond. It's 1.3miles long so a nice distance! There's also a secondary path off into the woods that's fun to explore and goes by the river.

Lovely visit to the park, alway drove by and was curious. The parking was plentiful, and the path itself was really fun to walk around. Lots of bikers, joggers, and casual walkers. There are paved and dirt paths. Beautiful neighboring paths as well.

One of my favorite parks to take a relaxing walk in Columbus, and enjoy some beautiful nature scenes. I saw a beaver swimming by the last time I was there, and a few little bunnies! I love that you can easily go on the Olentangy trail if you'd like, or just do the loop trail around the pond. Even though it's really close to the highway, I don't feel like you can hear the traffic once you're down the trail a little bit, which is nice. Always enjoy seeing all the dogs walking around as well, or sitting on the dock for a little while as well.

We had our daughter's wedding at this park and it was just beautiful easy access to find on the park it was had a beautiful Lake Worth she took her wedding pictures at was easy for my husband to go in and out since the place that we had the wedding was big enough I highly recommend it is in Columbus Ohio

I have lived 15 minutes away from Antrim Lake for the past two decades and just discovered this gem! I loved it so much that after my first visit, I returned three more times within five days. The loop around the lake is accessible with many people around walking, running, or fishing. There are several spaces that will be perfect for picnics or lounging with a good book in hand. At times that I visit alone, I have felt safe. While the highway overpass may not be ideal, the sound does get muffled after a while and isn’t too bothersome. I look forward to exploring more of the trails in and around the park soon.

There are a number of short trails here with ponds and a creek area. Some of the pond views on the Beachwood trail are very serene. About 8 billion squirrels live here. Overall it's pretty good, but it has more of a metro-park feel to it than a nature preserve.

Nice little walk through the woods. The gravel path follows along a little stream. (Watch for tree roots in certain places on the path if your unsteady on your feet at all) We saw lots of birds and enjoyed the colors of fall.

Adorable quiet park but a little..... unmarked on the trails. If you're too busy chatting with a friend you'll easily get turned around and forget the entrance is actually to the right when you're trying to walk out. If you have a phone signal use maps to find the lot amd make your way towards the parking lot lol. Fun times.

A lovely location for a quiet walk in the woods. On one side of the parking lot is the park operated by the city of Gahanna. Leashed dogs are allowed on the trail. On the other side of the parking lot is a state nature preserve. Dogs and bikes are prohibited in the nature preserve. Trail loops are relatively short- around 1 mile. Trails are easy and well maintained. The port-a-pot that used to be available in the parking lot has been removed due to Covid.

Small Lovely place.. Excellent trails. Not very well maintained, but great trails. There are two parts of the trail. One part is under the gahanna parks where pets are allowed. The other part is under gahanna woods, here pets aren't allowed. Each part is around 1.25 miles.

Part is city park, part is state nature preserve. NP trails total about 1.5 miles. I only went to the NP side. Peaceful, very light and open mature beech Forest. Lots of vernal pools / wet areas. Did not see as many birds as I expected to. Road/airport noise in much of it. I would go back. Would be great to see in summer.

Great park, there is a wooded area and a non wooded area. Shown below is the non-wooded area. Benches throughout so you can sit down and enjoy. Easy to get to & in my experience not typically super busy!

Fun mix of typical playground and natural playground areas. See playgrounds details below. Also, an obstacle course built of mostly trees. My only complaint is the entrance to the obstacle course needs trimmed to be wider. Even single file, there was no way to avoid the 4 foot vegetation touching you. I get you are in nature, but most parks have cleared pathways to access the areas of the park and walking trails.

I’ve been walking the trails at Glacier Ridge Metro Park since I moved to this area over 15 years ago. Over the years, the landscape around it has changed quite a bit due to urban sprawl, but the park itself has remained a lovely retreat. Some of the best sunsets around. It’s beautifully maintained, with miles of paved trails. No matter the season or how much it changes, this park continues to be a place where I can recharge and enjoy some outside time.

Wonderful park with unique playground and a obstacle course(aka "challenge course") which was a first for me at any public park. Expansive multi use trails for walking, running, and biking. Disc golf too.

Beautiful, spacious dog park with an attached forest area. My dogs loved exploring the area and making friends with other dogs. All of the dog owners I met were warm and friendly too! Just be wary of ticks. I found a large tick on dog just before we left the park. Don’t bring your pups here unless they’re protected against ticks (and be sure to protect yourself as well!).

This felt more like a neighbor suburban park. Mind you, a very nice one. It had blacktop trails throughout. Great for accessibility, but when put together with limited shade and a very warm day, it was kind of miserable. I went for the pet friendly trails and figured the dog park was an added bonus. Unfortunately, it was so hot and unshaded it was too hot for a long coated dog. Plus I pulled 19 ticks off of her fur (zero attached). Nice park, just not the best for hot days.

Large plains-type park shaped by glaciers many many years ago. There’s a big prairie area with walking trails and lots of wildflowers. Nice wide-open 18 hole disc golf course that was pretty challenging on the longs. There’s a nice dog park too! Lots of woods to explore.

The park crew made the solar eclipse a memorable experience. They handed out solar glasses, gave kids stickers, and educated park visitors on the eclipse. The amenities here are great, too. Fort building in the woods, a fun obstacle course, and a climbing playground kept the kids entertained. Restrooms were relatively clean but unfortunately the water fountains were not on. Lots of dogs around so definitely pet-friendly.

Alum Creek State Park is a huge park (very long). one of very few Ohio State Parks that offers a ton of amenities. The beach amenities/what's available--showerhouse/changing area, concession stand, picnic area, playgrounds, marked off swim area, hiking paths near and vending machines. Nature Center is couple minutes up road (5 min walk) and there is a ton of parking. very nice, large beach. sand was very clean.

Been looking for a lake to take my dogs to. This lake is great for them. I take them off on the side , not in the swim zone. They have a blast here, perfect way to get there energy out and cool off on the hot days.

Nice park and everything was in perfect conditions, the only thing I can complain is about the flies (there was too many and we had to use too much insect repellent) and the water is very dark. Anyway we had a good time.

Stayed two nights primitive camping site #177 and #175 are shaded for most of day only one other site next to you plenty of room for two tents shower restrooms all very clean and in working order nice stay

Beautiful beach on Alum creek state park . Go on a normal day or week day and you will get the whole beach to yourself. Go on a busy weekend and whole columbus is there partying.

The water was clean. Beach was clean. For a Sunday on a holiday weekend, it wasn't busy busy. The kids had a blast, and so did the adults. Recommend this if your looking for a free fun day.

This is a trail head parking lot, with a porta john. The good part of this park is how close to the river it is. I have now used this park as a kayak launch twice now. I have left a car in the parking lot for several hours twice, an have not had any issues. Ps to the city of Columbus. This would be a total win as a kayak launch. Hint hint.

Nice trail for riding or walking. Have ridden nearly entire length of trail from north to south, passing through multiple parks and green spaces. Not many riders, some walkers but not that many. Trail follows Alum Creek for most part, lots of flowers & wildlife to be seen. Passes through lots of wooded areas, multiple bridge crossings over the creek. Only a few negatives to report. Not sure why but in a few areas of trail there is strong sewage smell. It’s that way every time I ride. Beware of trail crossing under bridges. One in particular can have standing water and some mud on trail. Mud can be very slippery, a rider could wipe out if they hit it going very fast. Boardwalk bridges can be insanely slippery when wet, use caution. I do recommend this trail for riding, it is a great place to bike, walk, etc.

Alum Creek has nice Shade during these super hot days! Both north and south are pleasant rides!

Sweet trail along the creek with stunning bridge and nature views. The are deer all over the place and they appear very friendly. The trail has some fun hills and curves that are great for cycling or boarding if you're skilled. The bridges are very cool looking and great for photography. The river here has a nice flow and tranquil sounds.

Hiked the south trail shortly after a heavy rain and it was awesome! Heavy flooded areas made for a difficult and fun hike. Wading through waste deep water at some points, and halfway up your calves at others. Muddy pathways made for a unique experience like a spartan race!

Just 2.5 miles from the airport, this peaceful oasis of nature is a delightful, walk, jog, or bike ride that meanders through the area. Highly recommend for an escape from reality when staying near the airport.

Okay so to start it's in a decent location at the point where the maps takes you. You can walk several miles north to westerville and Easton where the beach area is or south. I walk south and walked a total of about 8 miles with my 2 pups. It starts off great as a trail should but then attaches to the side of the highway and I didnt like that. It is a GREAT trail for bikers and runners and this trail is connected to a couple more which I'm posting the picture of. My favorite stop is by the baseball field of Ohio Dominican. By the baseball field is a spot that marks a location that the underground railroad. 8/10

For my lazy Sunday outing I chose to take a trek to Inniswood for the first time. It did not disappoint at all. The park is meticulously maintained and is one of the finer metro parks I’ve been to in the Columbus area. There’s multiple short trails to choose from that are approximately 0.6 mi or less. Most of which are ADA compliant. The waterfalls are small but perfect as they create a pleasant sound backdrop to the experience. Many folks there today had their cameras to shoot, which didn’t surprise me one bit. The plants and flowers are fantastically colorful and selected to support a bountiful host of our pollinator friends 🐝🦋. Personally bees scare me, but that’s another story for another time. On the way out (that I missed going in) was a sign about tick safety. Personally this is important as I dealt with Lyme Disease for over a decade (which was a costly hell I don’t wish upon my worst enemy). Over 50% of people don’t recall a tick bite and some can be as small as a pinhead (baby nymphs). I’d love to have taken the trails with the overhead trees, however not having a hat or long sleeves on, with higher tick rates this year, I’m a bit too afraid, which sucks because everything looked pretty and peaceful. If you’ve not been, bring your camera and check out Inniswood for a delightful afternoon adventure.

This place is incredible! The landscape is beautiful and well cared for. There were so many people taking pictures for all occasions when we visited. Definitely a place to walk and explore.

Oh my goodness I haven’t got to go here and experience this place and probably 20 years. It’s a magical little area tucked away in the north east side of Columbus when you’re entering the park it’s majestic! The volunteers that they have dedicating their time to the flowers and landscape are one of a kind hero’s!

This place exceeded my expectations. It's a beautiful space, filled with care and nature. Every corner has something beautiful to see and plenty of places to take photos. Highly recommended for families with children, and the best part is that admission is free! Thank you so much for having such beautiful places.

Its a very peaceful and calm environment. Good for a stroll and great for a view. Sometimes people have wedding, graduation, special events here which is understandable. When it rains here it's like a whole new atmosphere I love it.

Amazing free garden walk! So much to see and great for dates or families! We went with our 5 kids and we all loved it.

Beautiful and well kept grounds. This area should be proud of their metro park system. The roses were in full bloom. The hawk and owl were seen, along with many other birds. It was amazing.

I loved the boardwalk upon arrival. The leaves falling gave it the perfect fall touch. The boardwalk was short and scenic but I was a bit sad when we saw no waterfall. I saw on tik tok that if it hasn’t rained you went see a waterfall but I was just passing through the state so out of curiosity wanted to take a peek. If I ever come back to Ohio I’ll be sure to check it out again and hopefully there will be a waterfall. Otherwise very nice scene stop. There’s also a river you can look at if you walk over to it on the bridge looking walk way .also the parking lot is. Wei small . Maybe can fit 6-8 cars . We went at 10 am and there was only 1 car

Cute 5 minute trail, some good picture opportunities if there's not too much trash in the stream. Easy for kids, definitely don't suggest for the disabled (lots of steps). Parking can be a huge pain, there are not many steps. Use whatever luck you have, because there are not many convenient spots to park nearby and walk if the lot is full. There is a nearby garden center that you may one day be able to park at and walk to the park, but as of July 2025 there is construction in that area and most of the walking paths are completely blocked off.

Pretty park, waterfall dried up unfortunately but its pretty! Very small trail; can be walked in 10 minutes or less. If youre looking for a short trip, stop by!

The falls were easy to get to and clean unfortunately it hasn't rained for 3 weeks, so the falls were falls no more, but a short comfortable walk in nature surprisingly in the middle of a very populated community

From the parking lot there is a steep flight of steps if you aren't active it may be a little harder for you, once down to the waterfall it's a super cool hangout to bring chairs and look around the rocks and water. Found a turtle, snake, fish and crawdads so pretty active wildlife for the area

I have not been to the dog park in at least a year! Bravo to the big dog expansion area with all the rows of trees!!! Nice and shady and a boy dog's heaven on earth! My Bentley lifted his leg 28 times long after he had run out of "water"?! 😂 My pics today are only of this "new" awesome section! The restrooms are nice and I loved the paved loop trail here in this section across Lithopolis Rd from the office. There is a small dog fenced in part for dogs under 20 pounds. Lots of parking and several poop bag dispensers, too!

Very surprised by this park! Nice paved trails that are suitable for running. I like it a lot and will add this park to my daily runs. Very close to three creeks metro park so if you enjoy the outdoors you can do both in one day. They are 5 minutes apart by car.

Very good and fun. I hiked on the buckeye trail. Nice. 2 dog parks. Plenty of picnic tables. I also did the monarch and kestrel trails. Very long and only for the strong. You will need good shoes and time. Kestrel trail has ponds, observation deck, and swing. Go for it.

I never get tired of this place. Deep woods digital detox has become our regular thing here. We look forward to visiting a few times a week & are grateful it’s a few miles from home.

Super easy paved trail. A little under water in one spot but not so much you couldn’t get by. Tick alert so we stayed in the paved trail. We went in the early morning so it was not busy and nice and quiet. There is a parking lot that has plenty of parking. No restroom facilities but does have a porta john on site. It was big and not too gross (as they can be) and had hand sanitizer which was nice. I recommend this park. We were able to make it a 3 mile walk. By using the loop through to make a figure eight. We came from Dublin so it was also a nice drive.

This review is about the Tall Pines area of Walnut Woods Metro Park specifically the Sweetgum Trail. I've been to this trail atleast 3 times. All in the summertime. I went today after a light snowfall. It's just as beautiful in the winter as it is in the summer. Just a different perspective.

This is a relatively new park with lots of geometrically planted trees - it’s a bit odd, but beautiful in a planned kind of way. It features long paved trails looping around the park and through meadows and two dog parks (for large and small dogs.)

In town on business and needed a walk. This is a quiet park. You have to use satellite maps to figure out where trails are in the park. I couldn’t find any trail maps that i could take a photo of. Heads up, idea there!

Growing up Big Run meant sledding after the first decent snow. I hadn't been back to Big Run Park for quite some time and I noticed some improvements. Less trash, grass was mowed,trails weren't overgrown and seemed to be well maintained.

Wow! what a fantastic park for incline training 😆 The steep hill and gradual assent on the opposite side of the long loop give plenty of fun until exhaustion 😄 I took my bike down and around 4 times, then turned around and did once up the steep side. 😥 Once was enough. Had a blast. I've yet to explore the off-road trails, plenty to discover. Plenty of paved road for bikes or skaters. Great for walking, jogging, pets, and families.

Nice, fairly quiet and clean metropark. A good place to run or walk. Derby Hill at the back is closed off to cars and was recently repaved.

For winter: FUN PLACE TO SLED! For Good Weather to enjoy outside.. the park is fun for the kiddos! And adults when you want to feel care free and have some carefree fun! But my favorite part is the trail in the woods! It has bridges, rock steps. A beautiful scenery. The perfect walk through nature without getting wore out. It's not a super long walk. It's enough to enjoy it. And almost everytime there are deer hanging out in the field as you drive in/out. It's close to home. And a great place for kids to burn some energy. And adults to relax! There is also a Gym for basketball. Not sure what else they do there.

Went yesterday TO WATCH cross country competition my grandson was participating in. Would have been nice if they'd put one or more porta potties back there. Huge park, access road goes deep into wooded area!

There's a CPD substation in the park! Just weird to go up this winding road to nowhere and there is a police station. There are a couple of picnic tables and that is about it. Kinda boring park.

I was very disappointed with the bike trail. So much is next to Sunbury road. Direct Sun. I was expecting more of the ride near the water. There are no signage that we could see. The damn was cool to see, but overall I won’t be back. I didn’t realize there would be little shade or trees. Which is what I love. When I looked at reviews it had almost 5 stars. I’m rating it at Two stars.

Nice walking paths and not as crowded as Creekside Park.There is plenty of parking and trails connect with other parks.Also is very scenic.

This is a great place to take a walk or walk your dog. It is paved and mostly flat, especially along the creek. Depending on the time of day, it has many shaded areas to enjoy. You can also walk on both sides of the creek near the downtown area.

I love Big Walnut trail as It is peaceful and scenic view is beautiful!

So cute! Follow the path through the golf course to the mini arboretum along the creek. A charming walk for any season. If you go in winter, be super careful if you cross any wooden bridges!

This is a great family friendly trail. It is mom/kid friendly too with restrooms at several parks along the way & I believe it is completely pavement or sidewalk for the whole thing, so jogging strollers and bikes will work! There are some quite steep parts, especially at Knobb Hill! I've attached a map to help you, which can also be found on the Gahanna Parks and Rec Website. Oh also, don't be intimidated by Highway 62/Johnstown Road. The path at Creekside goes under the bridge to take you to the Veteran's Park side, so you don't have to worry about crossing in heavy traffic.

My first time going and been living in Columbus damn near my whole life. Went with my kids. Everyone had fun. I would have given 5 but not enough food options lol kids also packed swimsuits to hit the splash park. I enjoyed the performances while the kids played.

I’m visiting from Atlanta it was so sad to see hundreds of vendors but not one was foundational black American!!!!!

GCAC is doing big things to help our local artists and film makers. I'm grateful for there support over the years for the arts.

The return of the Columbus Arts Festival after 2 years was a disappointment. Hard to believe that this was a juried art show. Very expensive junk

The visit was amazing! We visited for the Unofficial Galaxies event since we are huge Star Wars fans. The event was spectacular with a ton of really insane exhibits that were mostly fan made. We were absolutely thrilled to see all of the handmade items and pieces from the films. We recommend buying tickets in advance. Also the military discount here is only $2 but still worth it.

Coming from out of town, looking to kill some time, it did not disappoint!Cool science center. There were tons of day camp kids running wild, but that can be expected on a weekday morning in the summer. Very cool hands on stuff for kids. The natural history exhibits were cool, along with the Town of Progress exhibit. Would definitely recommend if you are in the Columbus area.

Wow! Just a beautiful place to take the family. The exhibits are amazing. Every time we go the Dinosaur exhibit just keeps on expanding. Just truly an amazing place and I myself learn so much. Highly recommend going especially when they change out the featured exhibits.

This place is so worth it. For only $30 bucks we got over 3 hours of fun and useful information about the world we live in. We visited the planetarium twice for two films that were incredible and at no extra charge. You definitely can make a whole days worth out of this museum. I also enjoyed that it’s not only child oriented but also includes stuff for adults to do. Also don’t forget to check out the shows they do during the day. We got to see rats play basketball! My one and only complaint about this place is I wish there were more cool shirts in the gift shop for adults! (All the cool ones are for the kids)

I finally made it here after knowing about it for more than 20 years and it was totally worth it. I teared up a little when I first walked i to the dinosaur room. Seriously so amazing to see. And I was in awe of the beauty in the Poseidon room. I think that might have been my favorite. An incredible experience for sure. Absolutely worth a visit!

While I've been a member for several years, we just had our first visit with a child and it's a much better experience. While the Pixar exhibit was a little too advanced for our 10 month old, the rest of the museum was very fun for him. The kids play space on level 2 was amazing. Water tables, vehicle and market play spaces and foam padded play areas. It's a great indoor playground that is perfect in the winter time. Despite having been there several times before we just discovered the cafeteria. While the café by the ticket area is very nice it wasn't until after we got our snacks that we realized there is a fully fledged cafeteria. Kelly was very welcoming the food really hit the spot. Absolutely worth the family pass.

Absolutely legendary museum that continues to impress long after you leave your childhood years behind. So much to see, do, touch, and experience! Visited the old location as a child and remembered having a blast. This is a must visit place whether you are young or young at heart!

An excellent tribute to all the brave men and women who served our country! This was special as it reflected on many aspects of military life. From the time away from family, to serving, to coming home. There are many touching views from those who served. This was special for me as my dad served 28 years in the Air Force from Korean War through the late 70's. The museum is unique in that it is round. The architecture is great and at the top you can sit and see the skyline. There is an outdoor meadow with waterfalls that is free to visit.

Had a great time at the National Veterans Memorial museum. Easy parking, easy access. Right across the street from COSI. Great meeting rooms for groups. Spent the majority of time exploring the exterior grounds (need to go back to check out the displays). Wonderful Memorial Grove is a sanctuary for remembrance and reflection with dozens and dozens of American Elms providing natural shade along the path proving a great place for relaxation amd rest. There are also 4 waterfalls to constantly provide a natural backdrop in contrast to the normal busy city sounds one might expect in the inner city. The limestone wall reflects regional geology and symbolizes the strength of the nation. The waterfalls highlight water as the source of life and healing. Loved the city view walk around the main lot. I was touched by a rifle, helmet and boots display in the water with the inscription "Our debt to the heroic men and the valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude, America will never forget their sacrifices." I enjoyed walking to the top of the building and seeing the city scape from there. Noticed an amphitheater on the roof that looked like a great location for gatherings.

The museum did a very professional job displaying the various wars in America and that America fought in. Descriptions were accurate without being biased. The architecture and various displays were very well done. There is a long incline walk to the front door so be prepared and take your time. Plan on 2 to 3 hours to see it all. There are so many touching moments from veterans and parents of veterans. Don’t be surprised if you get teary eyed. Highly recommend!

A beauty to behold ! A place for history and pictorial work the great United States Of American Military. A very environmentally cautious and green building built in the Capital of The Buckeye/Birthplace of Aviation State(Ohio) . The labor , sweat and hard-work of our heroes past was honored and displayed for all to see . Nobody who visits would ever regret visiting such an Architectural Masterpiece and a place for honoring the Nations Heroes. All individuals who reside in Columbus and want to be informed about the great work the United States Military has done should visit the National Veterans Memorial and Musuem ! ♥️🤍💙

The museum is quite moving, but is also very small. In my opinion, $18 is a quite expensive admission price (the cost of admission is lower for vets, gold star families, children, and seniors) for the minimal exhibits. But the Worthington and Columbus Libraries have passes for free admission. The museum has a nice timeline with items, photos, and videos of the US's military engagements from the revolution to Afghanistan and Iraq.

Wonderful exhibition. Visits require at least an hour and half to read all of the captions that come with the photos and to watch the videos, some are interactive. The grounds overlook the downtown riverfront, which is beautiful.

Very great tribute to our veterans!! A tour from our country’s start to recent accomplishments by members of our armed forces. Note that admission is free for veterans and they’ll validate your parking!

Wow! This place is definitely an unsuspected hidden gem! The playground is so cute. The hiking up through the trees on the boardwalk was magical! And the pond area has a ton of wildlife to adore. Very happy we decided to make the drive and check this place out.

One of the best metro parks in the Columbus system. I especially like to walk there in the fall. Seeing the leaves here is spectacular.

This is great park tucked away from the city. The trails and pond here are the best very well maintained and stroller friendly. Rangers are on sight very helpful and friendly.

Love this park. The trails has steep hills and gravel so be careful but it’s a great view! Lots of beautiful things to admire on your way up too! Is also a great place to take family photos! I’m a photographer and have used this park many times

I love it here so much that I don't want everyone to come. Maybe I should have left a bad review. 😅 It's a nice gravel trail with bathrooms in multiple spots. The playground is nice when it's not too hot. It's not shaded much. There's a fishing lake. There are a couple options for trails but simple and easy to follow. There's a good bit of incline so you feel like you did some meaningful exercise.

This is such a lovely little park! My daughter loves the playground and it has plenty to do to keep a kid entertained. She loves the climbing rock in particular. The trails are nice and easy to walk. We walked all three in less than an hour (at a very leisurely pace and accounting for stopping at the duck pond). The restroom was pretty standard for a public park and it was clean. Overall, the park seems generally well-kept, though we did notice a couple of things that could use a little help: a display board along the Meadow Trail has come unglued from its post, and the swings on the playground could use some oil (one in particular is VERY noisy). :)

This park is tucked in and very secluded but I loved the serenity of it! Nice walking paths and well maintained. Liked watching the tadpoles in the ponds and even saw a few deer. Also, lots of pretty flowers growing (I visited 5/29). Highly recommended to anyone who wants a little slice of heaven in their day.

We enjoyed a relatively quiet and pleasant weekday picnic under the shelter there. Besides being small and well kept, the cleanliness was impressive. Picnic tables seemed fairly new, very sturdy and trash receptacle not overflowing. Grounds were green and shorn adequately. We plan to return sometime soon.

This park is gorgeous! The main walking path is shaded & there's a beautiful pond view. The kids playing area is unique with a cool rock climbing structure for much older kids (full sun) & a tunnel. We're so lucky to have Preservation Parks in Delaware County ♥️

This is a great little hidden gem of a park with plenty of parking, including handicap accessible spaces. The play area is small but but packed with things to do. There are swings, a climbable play structure and a four sided climbing wall that stands about 8 feet tall. There is amother smaller play structure for kids under 4, wooden logs that can be stacked and a bridge/tunnel to play on/in. This park has a very nice covered picnic shelter with charcoal grill as well a few picnic tables around the park even including a wheelchair accessable picnic table(pictured) near the playgrounds. There is a clean bathroom shelter with a drinking fountain and an information board with park literature and biodegradable doggie poop bags. There are two tails through the woods that are an easy hike for little ones, with beautiful views of a little pond. This park feels like your own little private Highbanks Metro Park.

This is a nice little park for a dog walk. It has two scenic walking circles. The total distance between the two is about 1.5 miles. The park also offers a playground area for the kiddos. It was a nice new little adventure for our dog.

We love Griggs! If you are looking for a peaceful place to picnic, fish, or take a walk to clear your head, this is your place. It is spread out so you can choose what part of the river you want to enjoy :)

Caught my first fish on a rod and reel! It was so beautiful and saw so many birds! Never experienced this part of the park before, and it was nice.

I've been fishing Griggs my whole life. Picking clams, mussels, cat fishing, big carp, blus gills, crappie soft crawls, i just absolutely 💯 love Griggs Reservoir.

This is a great park! It has all the classic Park offerings and hidden gems throughout! Lots of places to fish, picnic and the road is paved, making a great walking path!

The fields are great. Getting into and out of the park can take forever because of high traffic volume and having to pay to get in. For 2024, you need a $5 bill to get in faster (use the left lane) and you can pay w credit card or cash in the right lane.

Nice place for large baseball/softball tournaments, however the complex is in poor shape. Pot holes bouncing your car all over the place like a dirt bike track and none of the fields were mowed so they dandelions were in full effect and everywhere 3-5 in tall.

Very clean facility. Volleyball and basket ball courts. Plenty of parking not sure if his wheelchair accessible because I can’t remember if I walked upstairs or if I went straight through the doors.

I played in 3 daytime tournaments here. I’m an outfielder and thought the grass was average and somewhat level with some deep tracks from mowing probably. Infield area was fun to run on for me with the plastic grass and rubber chips. The folks that worked out tournaments were super nice including the umpires.

It’s definitely a nice ballpark for sure. However, be CERTAIN of the EXACT field you are there to play on or visit. This is a huge park with more than 20 fields so it’s easy to get lost (especially if you’re using Uber, and don’t know the exact field/set of fields).

Nice park but there needs to be more than one exit. Takes far too long to leave the park with just one entrance and exit. Not sure if it is true but saw on social media a person get robbed in the car line to leave.

Berliner is a big park, plenty of parking and room to find your own space. You can walk for miles in between games. The one negative and it's a big one is trying to get into the park. There needs to be multiple entrance to collect the fee or charge teams the fee in advance and eliminate the long line trying to get in.

I was visiting during the Columbus art festival. A great place to visit. When the water fountains are working, very dramatic and fun for the kids to play in. During the winter, they like this place up.

We went to Red, White & Boom and had a great time! The atmosphere was lively, and everything was well-organized. Definitely a fun way to celebrate and enjoy the fireworks.

Had a wonderful time in Columbus. The jazz and rib fest was the reason and it was such a wonderful time... Columbus, Ohio owes us nothing.

Went for free concert in park, Beautiful clean park. They have a water and mister sprinklers for the kids to play in and with the mist it helps to keep you cool from the heat.

So much fun during the cultural arts festival. Many different artist around come to Columbus to share what amazing art they have been working on between pours,metal trinkets and huge , vivid canvases . They also have a wide variety of food trucks plus parishments. Please be careful with any cash , some patron was bombarded by a teenager and had THIER wallet stolen . Security stopped the teen and returned the items . Great park for kids to come in bathing suits to have some splash pad fun as well . Bring extra clothing and swim shoes

I loved the boardwalk upon arrival. The leaves falling gave it the perfect fall touch. The boardwalk was short and scenic but I was a bit sad when we saw no waterfall. I saw on tik tok that if it hasn’t rained you went see a waterfall but I was just passing through the state so out of curiosity wanted to take a peek. If I ever come back to Ohio I’ll be sure to check it out again and hopefully there will be a waterfall. Otherwise very nice scene stop. There’s also a river you can look at if you walk over to it on the bridge looking walk way .also the parking lot is. Wei small . Maybe can fit 6-8 cars . We went at 10 am and there was only 1 car

Pretty park, waterfall dried up unfortunately but its pretty! Very small trail; can be walked in 10 minutes or less. If youre looking for a short trip, stop by!

Gorgeous area! Lots of steps to get down to it, so not handicapped friendly unfortunately. But absolutely Gorgeous! Forget for a little while you're anywhere near a city.

Cute 5 minute trail, some good picture opportunities if there's not too much trash in the stream. Easy for kids, definitely don't suggest for the disabled (lots of steps).

From the parking lot there is a steep flight of steps if you aren't active it may be a little harder for you, once down to the waterfall it's a super cool hangout to bring chairs and look around the rocks and water. Found a turtle, snake, fish and crawdads so pretty active wildlife for the area

The falls were easy to get to and clean unfortunately it hasn't rained for 3 weeks, so the falls were falls no more, but a short comfortable walk in nature surprisingly in the middle of a very populated community

Went in pretty clueless and Darrell over in the shoe department was about as good as you can get at your job. Taught me TONS and was a treat to talk to, caught a glimpse of him being incredibly kind to his employees as well. 10/10

Originally came in the store to look for a bicycle tire and a bicycle pump… And ended up spending nearly an hour, browsing, talking to staff and looking around. They have everything from kayaks, outdoor, hiking, cycling and running… And everything in between. Such a cool store!

They have great selection of versatile clothing and shoes . I bought a pair of "Hoka's" for a great price.

I've only shopped here twice, but both experiences were great. I go here for nice outdoor shoes and the shoes shopping experience in itself is always great. The first time they were extremely busy and the guy was super attentive and helpful. The second time, even after I told the sales person I'd buy them, she asked me questions to make sure I was comfortable with the shoe. These days quality in service dwindles and staff members (who aren't managers) being interested in their customers, is rare.

Pretty small store, but that's seems to be normal for most REIs. Definitely your typical REI though, great staff and products here. Would advise you to not come here midday to afternoon on Saturday. There were so many people in the area (not necessarily in the store but going to all the stores around here) that it was quite difficult to navigate. I'm used to the city and the amount of traffic was still a little ridiculous.

Many things here. Large fields with walking trail around it and entire area. There is a rec center, outdoor swimming pool, skating park and playground. Has been updated to even a nicer place!

Can you stop in a Dodge Park Community Center you'll find a have many different activities from a little boxing ring, pickleball courts basketball court all kinds of things. How much adults have some fun get some exercise or if you have children bring them and get them some exercise and some fun time away from the screens. Better to be doing activities physically than having your face buried in a screen.

Find it to be a very good Park overall if you have children I've got things for young children they got things for older children Rec Center public pool nice walking space and it seems to be well kept up the skateboarding area could be a little larger other than that overall I give this park a good thumbs up

We are very grateful for the help that we received. Just the 10 years old and up not much for them to pick from. My grandson left without a gift. He said to let the other kids have it. He is a very good, loving and thoughtful. He puts others first.

We use to love coming here, did a 5 star review 11 months ago that I came to edit after yesterday, tried to take the kids swimming like we been doing the last 2/3 yrs never once had an issue. Yesterday I was told to come thru the entrance u MUST have proper swimwear on, that I can put my shorts and tank top over it but I HAVE to have it on to come in (I am disabled and have a leg injury I cannot swim)but if your going to make rules then make them apply to everyone...not just who u choose as sad as it is my kids picked up on it new manager should be ashamed.

This place really is great in top-notch for a pretty much inner city recreation Center. Yeah it could be in a more prestigious . neighborhood or fancier area but that’s not what it’s here for it’s for the public and the kids in the community. I’ve been here several times it’s very clean and very nice for a city recreation Center. I mean it’s a no-frills kind of place But that’s what also makes it great. They have a lot of kids programs and I think that’s wonderful. I would highly recommend it

Wow...what an improvement from when I was a child. There was a very pleasant young lady to greet us in the lobby. She was very informative. The coach came out and introduced himself. We were also given a list of activities and hours as well as free bread and bagels.

This was a very fun hike and beautiful park. A lot of ample parking. There is a public restroom. The trail is a 1.5 mile loop. There are exercise signs all throughout the trail as it's a Flex Fit trail. There is a wildlife viewing blind where they have tons of bird feeders set up along with having a lovely view of the pond. It is an all gravel trail, maintained great, and is an easy trail. There is also a natural play area for kids. There are some benches throughout the trail as well.

Can I give it 10 stars? Would if I could! This park, to me, is the epitome of a moderate physical workout and a peaceful "head" workout. The trail is (approx) 1.8 miles around a center pond. Along the way are strength break signs to prompt the users to pump up their workout with walking lunges, flutter kicks, etc, and an observation deck to view the pond and wildlife. On our last visit we chatted with a deer, watched a blue heron in flight and possibly spotted Hansel & Gretel's cottage ; ) It's truly a gem.

Me and my family love going here birdwatching out at the pond. They have a great lookout. Very many interactions with animals. One of my favorite places to go take bird photos.

If you like the nature trial with short walking then this is the one. This trail is fully surrounded by trees and little water. There is small natural playground for kids where they can explore some logs and water. The trail is 1.5 mile with a loop. In the trail there is dedicated place for watching birds and other animals. Kids will have lot of fun in this trail.

My Favorite Human in the World used to spend a great deal of time here taking photos and feeding Ferals... There is a memorial plaque in the wildlife viewing area. He passed unexpectedly 2yrs ago. I came to give him a BiggestWebbleZHugZ and say my goodbye Softly. What a peaceful place. Now I know. I Love you Walter. Idu. Idu...you are so missed.

Great nature park. Nice trail with lots of types of terrain. Great little nature blind. Natural play area for the kids is a bit on the degraded side but still fun. Definitely a hidden gem.

A very scenic and well maintained park. The trails are wide and has enough elevation changes to get a good hike in.

Immaculately maintained park. The grass alone looks like its been manicured. Right on the bank of the Scioto river with a gorgeous view of the railway bridge and downtown skyline beyond, even has a pavilion for events.

Beautiful city owned space along the Scioto. Great support while we rented the space with tables and chairs! Excellent and beautiful place for a party or reunion!

Beautiful park along the Scioto River. A few trails go through the park. The Scioto Trail is the primary trail. The park has great views of Downtown Columbus and a lot of open green space.

Lovely views of the city along the river. Plaques with Information about the former Ohio penitentiary are a hidden gem!

Absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous views of the river. NO public bathrooms. No restrooms. No WC. I can't stress this enough. The one in the pavilion is for event use only (and I can't imagine they'll let you use it -- I didn't even attempt), and the closest place with a bathroom is at least a block away. Enjoyed it while I was here though.

A perfect green space for loud gong noises, a wall of porta potties, booming EDM bass, greasy food trucks, and littering cheap rain jackets from Walmart. If anyone lives in the apartments by here and was woken up because of the marathon, I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter. Otherwise, this is a nice park. Perfect place to tunnel through some White Castle sliders.

GORGEOUS. Would love to have my wedding here someday. The view is gorgeous; the space is cozy, yet big enough for a decent sized party (ceremony and reception). I would mainly just worry about parking, but there are a couple of parking garages just up the street (walking distance).

This park features a nice trail, great for kids, as it’s not too long in length. A small hill and then down by the river and back. Great walk that you can end up stretching into a mile.

Made a trip here to view the fall foliage and was pleasantly surprised. There are a number of trails of different lengths to either hike or run on. Most of the trails are within forested areas. I would come here often if I didn't live over an hour away.

This was my first time coming here. I thought I'd see how the fishing was. It's a beautiful walk to the river but it was real low. I waded a bit to try and find some fishable pools but didn't catch anything. Oh well... better than sitting home on the couch I guess!😉

A beautiful small park on the banks of the Olentangy River. Just North of the Hills Market you'll find a nice loop path to the river. A gravel path to the bottom of the hill leads to the grass Sycamore Trail that runs along the river. Probably under a mile in total but given the terrain it feels like a mile, especially when you have to go uphill at the end. Enjoy!

I drive by it all the time and have never stopped until today. It’s a beautiful little spot with indigenous plants and bench swings to enjoy the view.

I took one of the many trails that they had here and it was far more beautiful than I expected although majority of the trail did not have overhead coverage or tree canopies. It was still nice because I went on a cooler day. There were tons of different wildflowers gorgeous fuse Trails for the most part were asphalt or cement, but that’s the trail. I went on. They seem to have really nice mountain bike trails and even had a mountain bike course and the good thing for bikers is hikers were not allowed on the mountain bike trail. Also had areas for fishing. At the falls you could go in up to knee deep.

This park keeps getting better and better. I love connecting with the neighborhood in nature. Crazy to think this is in the middle of Grandview shops and apartments. I love coming for a sunset walk, listening to the evening birdsong and seeing all the beauty of this metro park

Very beautiful new metro park! This place is very busy, so if you want a more secluded experience I would go to another one. There are apartments, homes, a cafe, and a Playa Bowls in a multi-use community directly connected to this park as well. There is also a large playground for kids near the above area. There are a lot of areas with large bodies of water, so it is imperative to keep an eye on your children!!

Very hard to get into with all the construction and build up going on around. Trails are nice, especially the “boardwalk” - the kids loved the zip line, although one is broken.

Quarry Trails Metro Park in Dublin, Ohio, offers a beautiful outdoor experience with several accessible features, making it a fair choice for those with challenges. Upon arrival, we found a wheelchair-accessible entrance, which was a great start. The park has ramps in some areas, allowing easier navigation for wheelchair users. There are plenty of rest areas, including picnic tables where you can roll in comfortably from the side. It’s an inviting space to take a break and enjoy the scenery. One of the highlights for us was the considerable shade throughout the park, which helps manage sensory stimulation, making it a peaceful retreat. The absence of loud music or overwhelming crowds also contributes to a calming environment that my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed. However, it’s important to note that while we were able to access many parts of the park, a lot of the trails are hilly, which can be challenging for those with disabilities. If you enter from the accessible entrance though, you can partake in enjoying the park's various landscapes. The restrooms were all portable as well, which might make it more difficult to use the facility as a disabled person. While the waterfall area was inaccessible (which we checked out briefly), we appreciated that many other scenic spots were reachable. I’ll be sharing some photos of our favorite views to highlight the most visited areas of the park. Overall, Quarry Trails Metro Park is a lovely destination, and with a few more accessible trails, it could easily be a perfect spot for everyone to enjoy. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Last minute into my vacation and I stumbled on this gem of a spot. Totally worth the time spent. The scenery is breath taking.

This is a really cool and unique metro park. Recommend you go there. Quiet and peaceful. Beautiful scenery and a really nice waterfall that you don't expect to see near downtown Columbus. Really enjoyed it!!!

We never get to discover this place as it is less than a half mile away and we have lived here for about two years. This is actually a day trip for our kiddos and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. We hiked around trip to the observation center from the nature center which is about 45 minutes with a four and six year old kids. The nature center itself is full of fun. A lot of information and activities for the kids as well as adults. You can watch the turkeys dancing in the backyard of the center. The nature center staff were so friendly that they volunteered to show the things that are related to the Ohio wildlife. above all it is right next to the parking lot. The walking trail is asphalt paved so you could actually walk or have a wheelchair go around the whole path. We liked it and we enjoyed it and our kids had a blast. I highly recommend this and be prepare for at least two hours of this trip with your kids for yourself.

This metro park is awesome! Lots of fun things to do and explore. Great for kids of all ages and abilities too

The Blendon Woods nature center is back open and staffed. There is restroom access, a bird watching lookout, assorted small creatures in habitats and touch-able manipulatives for children. There's a small game room with puzzles, oversized Jenga, a puppet area. Outside is a butterfly tent habitat you can walk inside and see several monarchs, and some turtle enclosures. Sometimes there's child-oriented programming. There's a little free library outside the center. It's definitely low tech and nothing too fancy, but it's a great break from the heat, indoor bathrooms, and some kid-friendly enrichment.

The cutest nature center ever! Brought our one and 7yo and they enjoyed seeing all the animals and facts about them. Was very clean and organized. Nice spot to visit to cool off at the park. We even seen a cute little raccoon outside on our way in.

Cool place to checkout the critters, turtles, and butterflies. The staff conducts outdoor educational sessions for children. The staff is very engaging 😀

Some frogs and snakes inside, and a few exhibits. I'm not sure how long it will be available but there's also a Monarch Butterfly tent outside which is very cool!

Great food, great "presentation". Since it was the grand reopening event they did have some minor issues with tasks but definitely a fun evening. The manager and our waiter, Cam, went out of their way to see that everything was to our satisfaction. We will return.

The food at our Pastor's Anniversay event was unacceptable. They obvioulsy had some issues in the kitchen. The sweet poatatoes came from a can and the turkey was cut into large chunks from a can. I have been to many events at The Boat House and was very disappointed in service and food.

One of the best views of the Columbus Skyline. A few walking/bicycle paths pass through here.

Nice event space near downtown with what seems to be enough parking. Also a nice outdoor space to hangout and enjoy the evening breeze by the fire pit.

I had my wedding here in September of 2019. I worked for months with one of the wedding planners and everything looked great. But the actual day of the wedding the wedding planner hands everything off to an operations manager that knows nothing about what you want and screws every detail up. When I brought it up with the general manager after the wedding, he didn’t apologize, didn’t care for my feelings and wrote it off as me wing dramatic. So I HIGHLY recommend to find someplace else to do your wedding at. They don’t care about you here just your money.

My wife and I had our first date at Confluence Park. It was a great experience and we both truly enjoyed the evening. We wanted to take our friends to a nice restaurant, our first thought was Confluence Park. We were VERY disappointed. Our server acted like we were bothering her by being there. The food was very overpriced with no sides offered with the entrée. Our friends’ steaks were overcooked one was actually burnt. Our server didn’t offer drink refills. We only saw her twice, walking by, during dinner. The décor that we remembered was all gone, no table cloths or other things that one would expect for a “3.7 star” establishment. We were concerned when we entered the parking lot and there were only about 6 cars there. Now we know why. The view is very nice, but that is the only thing that this venue has to offer. We would not recommend this restaurant.
