Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is a sprawling 88-acre destination featuring both indoor and outdoor art and nature exhibits, as well as lush greenhouses and beautifully landscaped grounds. The conservatory offers seasonal displays, short-term art exhibitions, and permanent indoor biomes showcasing over 400 plant species from around the globe. Notably, it houses the largest private botanical garden collection of glass works by renowned artist Dale Chihuly.
This is such a beautiful place. The gardens are beautiful. The Dale Chihuly artwork integrated throughout the conservatory area is such a treat. The Lego exhibit was fascinating. The train garden, 4 season exhibit and children's garden were interesting and fun too. The staff we interacted with were very kind. One of the best gardens I've ever been to.

What an amazing place! Came by on a warm and sunny day and were blown away by how gorgeous the grounds are. We saw staff working on stuff everywhere. As someone who has a hard time walking distances, I was pleasantly surprised to be offered an electrical scooter at no charge to help get around. The place is very large and clearly marked for what plants are where and also how to avoid staircases. Volunteers were very evident and were obviously happy to be there. Wonderful place to spend time.

I had such a wonderful visit to the Franklin Park Conservatory! The different biomes were fascinating and made the experience both serene and educational. The bonsai exhibit was absolutely immaculate, and I was pleasantly surprised by how impressive the architecture itself was as part of the attraction. A beautiful place to spend the day and definitely worth a return trip!

What a beautiful place! We visited Columbus recently for a friends wedding & had time to kill before we went to the airport, so we stopped here. My boyfriend could give a rip about plants of any kind, but he humored me & we wandered around to see everything. I was in heaven! I’m a big plant lady & it was SO cool to see a lot of common houseplants grow naturally like that. If you love plants & get excited about that sorta thing like me this is a must visit! They also had a whole seasonal pumpkin/fall display set up outside to walk through which was pretty cool too. Definitely recommend!
Kate C — Google review
I felt the price was about $5 to high. However, we booked for 5:30 entry and it was still daylight and have to have the children home at a certain time so they didn’t get to see the cool stuff come to life til we left. I understand it’s a wedding venue as I got married there at Christmas time. So we missed out on seeing the Palm house. Not spooky at all. Great for kids of all ages. Just wish the prices were lower so even the kids that come from low income families could enjoy it too.

I haven't been to the Franklin Park Conservatory for over 40 years and my girlfriend has never been so what better way to spend our one year anniversary than to spend a day enjoying all the beautiful sights and smells😊. It was better than I remembered! I was even better at night seeing the place lit up for the Pumpkins Aglow event. I was very romantic and the smiles she had was priceless 😍
Isaac L — Google review
Attended the Cocktails at the Conservatory event Sept. 25. It was my first time visiting and the event gave me the experience of watching the amazingly well designed and maintained facility transition from day to night. It was magical. Highly recommend going at any time and check out what events they have lined up. I’m going back! They do glass blowing!

This was a great little excursion while in Columbus. The Flora is beautiful and the chihuli glass is incredible. It doesn’t take up your whole day to tour and I was happy with the amount to see.

Museums
The Columbus Museum of Art offers a diverse range of attractions, including permanent and traveling art collections, an American cafe, and a gift shop. The museum also features kid-friendly activities like the Open Studio and thought-provoking exhibits such as Queer/Modern showcasing works by early 20th-century LGBTQ+ artists. Located on The Ohio State University's campus, visitors can explore The Wex, a creative lab and contemporary art gallery hosting innovative exhibitions like Meditation Ocean.
This is a really special place and I wish I’d had more time. The merger of the original building with new wings - so common in American museums - is really well done. The interior atrium and outside spaces are striking counterpoints to the galleries. I loved learning more about Ohioan artists. Didn’t get to try to cafe. Needed 3 hours, minimum. Glad for my 55 minutes!
Kate L — Google review
The Columbus Museum of Art is a nice spot to spend a relaxing afternoon, especially since admission is free on Sundays—which is a great bonus. There’s also free parking just across the street behind the building, which makes visiting super convenient. That said, I was slightly disappointed with the overall experience. While there were a few standout exhibits that really captured my attention, much of the artwork felt repetitive and lacked variety. I was hoping for a more diverse and engaging collection. Still, it’s worth checking out if you’re in the area—especially on a Sunday when it won’t cost you anything.
Nomadic F — Google review
My friend and I had a wonderful time at the museum. Getting there was straightforward, we just happened to accidentally miss the entrance and go to the top. It's nicely laid out with a ton of space to explore! We finished one spot and thought we were nearly done, but there were 3 more sections left for us. I enjoyed the exhibits and learned a lot about Ohio history. The attendants were helpful and the map was straightforward. I do wish there was a better sign that upstairs is mostly empty. We thought we had more to explore and we were unfortunately unable to visit the gift shop because their wifi was gone. In all it's a fun experience that I recommend people check out if they have the time.

Beautiful building with so many awesome pieces of artwork. It has lovely garden and seating area with a restaurant serving some of the most delicious food I have ever had. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and are able to fill you in on the artists. We loved the Columbus Art museum and will definitely come visit again in the future. We got to celebrate Margaret M. Walter wings 10 year anniversary, maybe we will make it a point to go back for the 20th.
Michelle G — Google review
The Columbus Museum of Art is a space that surprises and soothes at the same time. Each gallery feels like a conversation between color, form, and emotion — from the bold pop-art numbers to the soft folds of sculptural pink, every piece invites you to pause and reflect. One work declared, “You can’t hurt me, ’cause storms can’t hurt the sky,” — a line that lingered long after I left, reminding me how art can turn pain into peace. The museum’s bright glass installation rises like a celebration of imagination, while smaller works — a violin surrounded by currency, a figure wrapped in crochet and childhood memories — speak quietly about identity, value, and memory. After exploring, I stopped by the museum café for a delicious latte, the perfect way to sit, reflect, and watch the light pour through the windows. It’s the kind of place that fills you — not just visually, but spiritually. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A must-visit in Columbus for anyone who loves art, design, or just a good cup of coffee in a beautiful space.
Kal L — Google review
I didn't visit the bulk of the museum (yet), but we saw the Capbell Quartet perform a Halloween show with the Candlelight Symphony concert series & had a great time. I definitely intend to come back for a regular visit to see the rest of the museum, but this concert space was intimate & nice, staff was very friendly & we were pleasantly surprised that parking for this event was free. The quartet were incredibly talented & very personable as well.
Floura H — Google review
A nice museum that isn’t too large to cover all in one visit. An array of work spanning different artistic periods. Mostly one of each of the artists you’d recognize (Hopper, Rockwell, the usual…) It wasn’t overly crowded either, which was nice. Enjoyed a specific exhibit: Ming Smith - August Moon, which was beautiful and a lovely nod to the words of August Wilson.
Jakob P — Google review
Very peaceful and overall design of the building is very beautiful. The A/C is set to a comfortable temperature as I glanced over the creations of master pieces created to take your mind to places where the eye can’t.

Nestled in Ohio, the Columbus Park of Roses is a breathtaking 13-acre public garden that invites visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. This enchanting space boasts an impressive collection of over 12,000 roses across more than 400 varieties, including both a Formal Rose Garden with around 8,000 rosebushes and a Heritage Rose Garden showcasing historical blooms from before 1867.
Gorgeous place for wedding photos! We came with our families after the wedding and took some quick pictures in less than half an hour. I cannot express how beautiful everything looked! Hire a photographer and pick a nice sunny day and you will have an amazing time! This is late May on a weekend and the park was not that crowded and not that warm which was so perfect. Super grateful that we have this park in Columbus! Also recommend the Goodale park near downtown area too! The pond is super beautiful as well.
Miraela F — Google review
It is almost fall, but the Columbus Park of Roses is still in glorious bloom! Roses as far as the eye can see! I found a couple that smelled heavenly. I took many pictures of individual roses and buds that were just perfect! You can see some below. Funny thing is the park was not even on the itinerary, but we had about an hour to spare, so we thought, let’s go see the rose garden! What an excellent decision! I highly recommend this little excursion.
Dana D — Google review
Such a beautiful & tranquil place to relax. Took these photos back in May, so thats the perfect time to see all the flowers in bloom. Enjoyed strolling around and looking at all the unique flowers. While visiting I saw many artists who were there painting & drawing, people were walking their dogs and taking photos with their familes. Its a very nice and accessible park. Great for solo walks to immerse yourself in or to enjoy with friends or family.
D F — Google review
Well maintained park with large variety of roses. The roses were all in bloom when we went in June. Luckily it was a sunny day and made it even more enjoyable. Plenty of parking and no entrance fee. Lots of benches to sit in to admire the beauty of this park.
Sanjeeta P — Google review
The Park of Roses in full bloom is a breathtaking sight rows upon rows of vibrant flowers create a colorful, fragrant escape. Beyond the gardens, there’s plenty to enjoy: peaceful walking trails, picnic spots, playgrounds, and open fields perfect for games or relaxation. Whether you’re strolling among the roses, taking photos, or joining seasonal events, it’s a wonderful place to spend a day outdoors with family and friends.
Jennelyn P — Google review
Truly a special park. I consider it to be naturally divided into 3 beautiful sections, the park of roses (it's namesake) is a gorgeous area with every kind of rose imaginable. Truly a spectacle to behold. Then you have the playground/ open field/ sports section that also has a lovely pond that they're currently redoing so there is construction there at the moment. Lastly, my favorite part, is the wildlife area. A wooded area with a watershed/ creek and foot paths that is a safe haven for well behaved dogs off leash. That same segment has a rehabilitated wildflower prairie section that has paths mowed into it. And it all flows together sitting right next to the Olentangy river. Hidden right in the middle of the City of Columbus. It doesn't get much better.
Korey C — Google review
The Cincinnati butterfly park was nice. This park is just as cared for and maintained. Roses of more varieties than I could ever hope to learn, all arranged and labeled. If an Excel spreadsheet ran a garden it would look like this. I believe the other gardens are a part of the Park. Though not roses, the other plants with their labels helped me recognize a lot of the plants I've been seeing in the Metro Parks.
Palin S — Google review
It is a relaxing place to wander about if you like to get your steps in, even better if you like plants. There were other types of plants apart from roses such as herbs, coneflowers, hibiscus, etc. Even the trees were named. If you get tired, there are plenty of benches or gazebos you can rest in. Would recommend!

Zoo
Zoos & Aquariums
Aquarium
The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is a sprawling park located about 20 miles north of downtown, showcasing a wide variety of land and sea life. With over 10,000 animals from more than 500 species across six themed areas, visitors can enjoy hands-on experiences like the tide pool and Jack Hanna's Animal Encounters Village. The zoo also offers additional attractions such as the Wilds conservation center, Zoombezi Bay water park for summer fun, and an 18-hole Safari Golf Course.
This was the coolest zoo we've been to. The rides do cost extra but there's so much to do in the zoo that you don't need it. There's so many animals and each exhibit is meticulously planned to provide a nice space for the animal. The zoo flowed well and we really enjoyed the different sections so we knew what to expect for the animals. Great zoo and a great experience.
Rachel B — Google review
The zoo itself was great. Very enjoyable and I loved the amount of space the enclosures had for the animals. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is cuz the food is outrageous. $15 for a cheeseburger, $8 for a hotdogs. It cost us $90 just for food for a small party. Definitely pack your own lunch before your visit.
Laura M — Google review
What a great time going. The last time I was here was when I was a child and how it has grown and changed is incredible. Such a diverse choice of animals from different regions of the world. Great displays touching upon conservation, education, and the impact mankind has on wildlife. Many extras with gift shops, food choices, rides, etc. Highlights were the manatee and hyena displays.
Salt S — Google review
Our family had a great time! It was such a beautiful day to go. Not so hot, so I feel like the animals were a little more peppy. We got to see a baby elephant, a baby bear and baby monkeys. Over all a good experience!
Ashley B — Google review
Definitely get there in the morning because you’re going to need A LOT of time! The zoo is massive, we got there while there was still 2 hours to closing and barely saw 25% of it! We greatly enjoyed our time nonetheless! We went on a Friday and it wasn’t crowded, the zoo was very clean and we loved how large the enclosures were for the animals. Will definitely come back if we get the chance and spend all day there!
Lacie C — Google review
Fantastic zoo. Took our family, with kids agreed 6 to 10, 5 hours to see it all (watermark was closed for the season). Surprisingly quiet on a Fall Thursday morning which was great. They have many animals I have never seen in other zoos like wolves, wolverines, manatees, and bonobos. Attractions like feed the giraffes, VR, dinosaur ride, 4d theater are extra but a reasonable few dollars typically. If you are not a resident admission can be quite expensive. Worth it I think but you can also check the discount options on the Zoo website to ride COTA bus to the zoo and save a lot of money ($4 bus ride round-trip and $10 admission).
George B — Google review
Honestly this zoo wasn’t it for us. We’ve been to an array of zoos over the years and found this one just wasn’t what we had hoped for. While it was clean and the layout was simple we found that many animals were off exhibit and many sections of the zoo not accessible for different events . Our favorite part however was the polar bear exhibit. It was fantastic and the animals are truly spectacular. Our least favorite is paying for parking and general admission costs, we found it to be much higher than other zoos we’ve traveled too and found that since the lack of animals on display + cost had us uninterested in returning for another visit.
Heather J — Google review
This is my absolute favorite zoo so far. The wildlife is well taken care of. The aquarium is clean, beautiful, large, it's equally very amazing. The aquatic life is extremely happy. It seems all these animals have great space to be as close to real life as they can get in safety. I love Africa to see everything's so large. The restrooms are spotless. The employees are very kind and helpful. I can't say enough good about my experiences here. It's above in comparison to others I've been to in my surrounding areas. The gorillas have an amazing habitat as well as many other animals habitats there. I spend the night at a hotel so I can enjoy the entire zoo and take my time. I love the reptile building also. I can go on..

French restaurant
The Refectory Restaurant offers an upscale dining experience with a focus on classic French cuisine and an extensive wine selection. Housed in a former church, the restaurant boasts soaring ceilings and stained-glass windows, creating a unique and elegant atmosphere. With over 40 years of history, it has received numerous awards for its exceptional food and service, making it one of the best places to dine in Columbus.
Dinner at this restaurant was a fantastic experience. From the start, our waitress, Michelle, was awesome. She was extremely professional yet down to earth, easy to talk to, and always made sure we were taken care of all the way down to even replacing my girlfriends wine glass without prompt because “it wasn’t polished to her liking”. The food was fantastic, presented beautifully, cooked perfectly, and seasoned in a way in which it’s impossible to imagine it being prepared any better. The wine pairing was fantastic, the gentleman that brought out the wines gave brief yet informative descriptions of each wine before pouring. We ended up buying 2 bottles to take home with us. The experience overall was the best we’ve ever had at any restaurant. Private, intimate, romantic, upscale and overall relaxing and enjoyable. We will be back soon.
Reece F — Google review
I came here to celebrate my birthday, and The Refectory did not disappoint. Every plate was beautifully presented and full of flavor—elegant without being fussy. The bisque was rich, the ratatouille vibrant, and the sea bass absolutely perfect. They even brought out a personalized dessert with a candle—small gesture, big impact. Service was thoughtful, the ambiance felt special, and the night was unforgettable. Definitely recommend for a celebration or a quiet, elevated night out.

We immensely enjoyed our time here! Days later, our party of five is still talking about the wonderful meal we each had and how wonderful the evening was at the Refractory. Just look: Each course was beautifully displayed and delicious! I’m now a fan of French cuisine! Our waitstaff, Dom, could not have been more excellent and we would request him next time!

Celebrated my 40th birthday at The Refectory and it was exceptional. I had the tasting menu and every course was thoughtful, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Best fine dining experience in columbus by far! For context we've been to Cameron Mitchell and the like Service: excellent, waiting on Ur every move. Changing napkins to match Ur attire if needed. Food: in the french style. Conceptually well put together for excellent synergy. Venue: great for celebrations! Vibe is very cosy, dark, welcoming. Elegant. If Ur looking for a home dining experience scale up to fine this is the place

It was our first time there. Celebrated a birthday. They had a personalized birthday card ready at the table. The food was delicious! The service was friendly and easy! Definitely recommend. A bit on the pricey side, but absolutely worth it.

One of the most beautiful and amazing restaurants I've been to in Columbus. The food was amazing, John was an amazing waiter, made our night extra special and Jim added to it as well. Kamal was so so welcoming and made sure our special dinner felt special. Thank you so much for the extra details as well! We will most definitely be back

From neighborhood walking tours to van excursions and private tours, there are options for everyone, whether you're a beer enthusiast or a lover of global cuisine.
Hello, this tour was a delight. Our tour guide, Holly, was very informative about the history of German Village. She was fun and made sure we were taken care of by keeping us together and on time. The restaurants exceeded my expectations. The choices of restaurants were delectable at each location. I think the food was so delicious and plentiful. I would highly recommend this Columbus food adventure. Also, the weather could not have been better.

Meh. It t was ..... okay! Especially considering the price. The food itself was mediocre. We sampled a quarter of a sub, a piece of pizza, some garlic parmesan, steak bites, a cookie, and some ice cream. Nothing really stood out as exceptional or made me want to go back to any of the places we tried. The tour guide was fine but not as engaging or enthusiastic as most tout guides generally are which made the experience feel a bit lackluster. The real highlight of the tour was the other people in my group. They made the experience much more enjoyable. If you’re looking for an unforgettable food tour, this probably isn’t it. It wasn’t terrible, but I expected more in terms of both food quality, and overall experience. UDATE ---- Here’s a snarky yet professional rebuttal to the owner's response: --- UPDATE--- due to owners response I have downgraded my original 3 star "average" review to a 1 star "do not recommend." I appreciate your response, though it seems more focused on invalidating my experience rather than addressing my concerns. While I’m thrilled that another guest had a fantastic time, that doesn’t change the fact that my experience was simply “just okay.” It’s interesting that you’re “surprised” by my lack of enthusiasm, as if differing tastes and expectations don’t exist. Perhaps rather than comparing reviews in an attempt to dismiss mine, a more constructive approach would be to ask what could have been improved. Same tour, same guide, same restaurants, yet a distinctly different way of handling feedback!

Awesome experience! I brought a group of graduate students (both new and familiar with Columbus) on the Short North food tour. Our group LOVED trying different food spots and learning more about the history of Columbus and the Short North. Allison was the best guide and was very knowledgeable about the area and food. Definitely recommend as a team bonding activity!

For an early birthday treat, my friend and I embarked on the Alt Eats food tour, and it was a really fun experience overall! The best part was definitely sampling the diverse flavors at each stop. It was a delightful way to explore new tastes. While I appreciated the samples, I did find myself wishing for a bit more variety at a couple of the locations. We happened to have a substitute tour guide that day, and while they were incredibly kind and friendly, I missed out on some of the historical context I was hoping for. I was looking forward to learning the stories behind the food, the restaurants, and the region itself, rather than just tasting the dishes. It felt a little like we were simply doing a self-guided tasting, which wasn't quite what I expected. One specific restaurant left me a bit disappointed with their non-pork options. As someone who enjoys meat but avoids pork, I found the selection quite limited. I didn't get to try much there, which was a bummer. Despite those minor hiccups, I genuinely enjoyed the tour. The overall experience was positive, and I'd definitely be open to trying it again. I think with a few tweaks – more variety in samples and a deeper dive into the food's history – it could be even better!

My friend and I just had the best time on the Short North Tour with Andy! I have been on food tours before in other cities and this was equally good if not better than my previous experiences. Loved the unique stops, the personal commentary from some of the food workers along the way, and the amount of food we were able to taste. Can’t wait to come back and try a different tour from this company!

Talk about an EXPERIENCE!!!!This Food Tour was AMAZING!!! I was really surprised at the portions of food you're given at each site. Our tour guide, Logan, was so knowledgeable of the history of the German culture in the 1800's in Columbus. I am definitely a fan of food tours now and can't wait for my next one.

So fun to do! Especially when you’re not local to the area. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and the tour gives a little taste of a bunch of places you may have never found on your own. We went back to a few of the restaurants and landmarks after!

Wife and I had a great time on the German Village tour. We’re from Columbus, and had even been to a couple of the stops before, but it was still a lot of fun for a Saturday afternoon. All the restaurants were great, and we were even surprised by a really good dish at one of them that we had never had before (but will be ordering again). The history of the neighborhood was great too. Logan, our tour guide, was able to give a great tour even though the weather didn’t cooperate fully. We’ll be taking another tour for sure.

Fine dining restaurant
Lindey's is an elegant, old-school venue located in the charming German Village. The restaurant offers a sophisticated American surf 'n' turf menu and features a remarkable patio that exudes romance and tranquility. Nestled in historic surroundings, the patio provides an oasis-like ambiance with umbrella-ed tables, a soothing fountain, and attentive service. It's an ideal spot for both long-time couples and new romances to enjoy a special occasion or a quick getaway.
I'm SO happy we got to dine at Lindey's on this trip. Final night in Columbus, and this was the perfect ending. Super fun atmosphere that is equal parts classic and modern. Service, from hostess to server, to bussers, was as good as it gets. Our server, Lisa, was fabulous! Intuitive, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. The food was all perfect. Gorgeous and delicious, we enjoyed everything! Cocktails were great, and the wine list isn't extensive, but it's really good. Plenty of wines by the glass are offered. This was easily our favorite dining experience in Columbus. Cannot recommend more highly!

Easily my favorite place in Columbus since moving here in February. The vibe in here is so great & the people are even better! My boyfriend & I decided to celebrate our anniversary here after being recommended this place by multiple friends. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We made a reservation and while we wanted to check out the patio, the weather was not on our side but inside is still BEAUTIFUL! The food and drinks were unmatched. The atmosphere is chill & the perfect place to spend a date night. Our waitress Elena was INCREDIBLE! She was so sweet & attentive. Even brought us an anniversary toast on the house. We will absolutely be back. Try the Lindey’s Peach Bellini, Tropical Mule, Lindey’s Burger, and Shrimp Angel hair — You won’t regret it. Even the sourdough bread is to die for!!

Absolutely gorgeous outdoor seating with lush white flowers blooming! Ordered the lamb chop and have never tasted a more tender chop in my life! The chef most definitely is top tier and waiters professional and even gave me a candle on my dessert to celebrate my birthday dinner. Highly recommend!

This is my favorite restaurant in Columbus, and one of my favorite restaurants in general. I’ve had the pleasure of being able to come here ever since I was young. Located in the heart of German Village, this place encapsulates the gold standard of what every restaurant should be. The atmosphere, which in my opinion, is the most memorable part of the restaurant experience, is 10/10. The patio is absolutely beautiful with a multi layered coy pond, an upstairs terrace, and outdoor bar, and more. The inside is the same with beautiful upholstery, impeccable white table cloth service, and perfect lighting. The service is always 10/10 no matter who it is. Everyone knowledgeable, happy to assist, and all work as a team to provide the best experience to all guests. He food is always great, with semi-reasonable prices and always different specials. I don’t have anything bad to say about this place and hope it sticks around for the long run.

We had an incredible dinner with excellent service from Adison. Support staff was wonderful and organized, and the managers were prompt and kind. The patio was both elegant and welcoming, and the entire restaurant was packed on a Tuesday evening. Food was excellent, cannot say enough good things about the tuna tartare. We will return!

This is one of my favorite places in Ohio. The ambiance is charming. The service is outstanding and the food is delicious. We usually start with a cocktail before moving on to the Carpaccio which I highly recommend. On this day we tried the arancini for the first time and thought it was tasty. For our entre we had steak and lamb chops and they do not disappoint. I go here once a year and I will try to continue this tradition. The staff is great. Madisson waited on us and she was excellent. 10/10.

My friends and I stopped here for lunch on a trip to columbus. We sat in the patio outside and the ambiance was amazing. The food was delicious. I got the nut crusted chicken salad and friends got the shrimp salad, club sandwich, and lobster bisque. We all loved what we got and left extremely satisfied. I would definitely recommend you stop here!

It's also a hub for global dining options with influences from various countries like Somalia, El Salvador, Mexico, Yemen, and Vietnam. The market features over 30 vendors including butchers, bakers, grocers, and restaurants. Visitors can enjoy farm-to-table fare and innovative dishes created by talented chefs.
Definitely the best market in cbus! You can get food and goods from many different cultures like African, Italian, polish, French, Chinese, etc. The noodle bar is fantastic, great local honey, and a pretty expansive wine and beer store. Great vibes and pleasant people all around

I have visited north market to get some dinner when I was in Columbus. I went there twice actually. They have a variety of food options to consider including Jeni’s ice cream! I got some pizza and some ice cream during one visit and enjoyed the food! Specifically the ice cream! On my next visit, I got food from Hoyo’s and it was very tasty too! There is an eating area one floor above with lots of chairs and tables. It closes at 7 PM (when I went there in August), so I had to check the timing a little carefully. It was easily accessible from my hotel by walk.

What a fantastic place! So much good food! A lovely jewelry vendor, flowers, oils, cheese! Was our first time visiting and we will be back. Nice and close parking garage. Be sure to get your receipt for parking garage from the vendor you buy from. This is good for one hour of parking. Highly recommend North Market for a bite to eat and some local shopping.

If I could leave a higher rating i definitely would. I went there with my boyfriend for the first time and my eyes immediately lit up! The food looked absolutely amazing, the pricing was way better than I had expected. The wait time for the food wasn’t nearly as long as I had anticipated. I will definitely be going back as many times as I’m able! I recommend the Birria tacos, 3 tacos for $14! As a bonus you are able to sit and overlook the whole place!

First time here; quaint little place downtown. Great for new finds of food, coffees, oils / spices, desserts. Has a variety of cuisines, there is something for everyone. Seating indoor and outdoor, perfect for a lazy weekend or to meet with friends. Parking validation offered from one of the vendors I purchased from but didn’t accept when leaving garage. This would be the only downside - which could have been a fluke. Can’t wait to go back!

North Market in Columbus is a foodie paradise with an amazing array of flavors and cuisines! From coffee to Italian, pho, ramen, Mexican, Indian, African, Mediterranean, and even oysters, there's something for everyone. Just a heads-up: it closes at 5 PM on Mondays, so plan accordingly! The air-conditioned space was a blessing on a hot day, although shopping options for gifts were limited—except for a great card store. I was bummed that Foxes Bagels was closed, as I've heard great things! Overall, a vibrant spot worth exploring! 🌟

Shadowbox Live is a renowned performance-arts venue and cafe in Columbus, known for staging rock musicals, sketch comedies, and original works year-round. Established in 1988 as an all-volunteer ensemble, this award-winning nonprofit troupe has found its home in the Brewery District since 2011. The venue includes a main stage, Backstage Bistro for visiting performers, and is operated by troupe members.
Wonderful experience! The food options are perfectly balanced. I love that the performers engage with us as they help with all aspects of the evening. To say this is local theater at its finest would not be accurate - it is so much more. The drummer a guitar players are next level talented! The singers boast amazing vocals and so many talented folks provide support in acrobatics, dance and drama when not in a sketch or band performance. We went for the music show and were wow'd - already planning a return visit and bringing friends with us this time. Don't miss this amazing show!! Note parking out pack is a pay lot and it isn't noted very well. Parking can be tricky with the current street closures.

Had an unforgettable afternoon at Shadowbox Live watching Freak Show! From start to finish, everything was absolutely amazing. The show was beyond spectacular—the talent of the band and performers is out of this world, and the choreography and acoustics made the entire experience come to life in a way that no other theater around here can match. The food was also incredible! We tried the honey bacon pimento dip, and it was absolutely delicious. One tip—be sure to arrive a little early if you plan on ordering food, as the kitchen shuts down when the show starts. You can still order right up until showtime, but your food will come out during intermission. What truly sets this place apart is how unique the performances are. They interact with the audience in such a personal, fun way that makes you feel like you're part of the show. The level of talent on stage is just unreal, from the stunning vocals to the mind-blowing musicianship of the guitar players and drummer. And the whole production is so well choreographed, it’s clear the performers put their heart and soul into every single moment. There’s simply no comparison to anything else in the area. No other theater does it like they do—everything from the original shows to the world-class performers and the seamless blend of music, drama, and dance. It’s truly a unique experience that you won’t find anywhere else. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out. Already looking forward to my next visit and bringing friends along to experience it too!

I saw Sleepy Hollow. The entire cast did a great job, they really know how captivate and draw you into the performance. I felt like I was watching a movie. It was my first time and I thought it was great and the band was amazing. I love the way they put their own creativeness on the music. The people that sang have amazing voices and I was all around blown away by the performance. 10 out 10 for me!

Always a great show, very entertaining. The band is one of the best in central Ohio with a super dialed in sound. "Sleepy Hollow" had a really wonderful song set, especially during the first act. Loved the Tori Amos tune. The Cast was excellent, true pros. Patiently waiting for the return of "Which One's Pink".

Sleepy Hollow was really well done. You can’t help but love and appreciate these artists’ performances. By far, my favorite part of shadowbox is the live band. During many parts of this musical, I found myself missing the dance because I was just watching the amazing band members or singers doing their thing. Not to take away from the dance and the play itself it was all very nice.

Movie theater
South Drive-in Theater in Columbus offers a unique movie experience where you can enjoy contemporary and classic films from the comfort of your car. The theater also hosts a flea market with numerous vendors, making it a versatile destination for entertainment and shopping. With reasonable ticket prices and two screens playing at once, it's an ideal spot for a nostalgic date night or family outing. Additionally, the option to bring your dog adds to the inclusive atmosphere.
Love going here. It’s always nice to be able to watch TWO movies at the cheap cost! Not to mention the cost of the concessions stand is half of what you pay at other movie theaters. The popcorn is always pipping hot and they have a huge selection of finger foods too that are always fresh. The pizza is made to order if you want a whole one and the staff load it up with toppings too! I really suggest going to experience this place instead of the actual theater! Yea sure it’s older and the signs are dated. The bathrooms aren’t new but get over it- it isn’t a 5 star establishment.

Classic drive-in experience offering two screens, double features, snack shack and friendly staff! Grateful to have this gem in our city. So much fun watching movies under the stars in the twilight nostalgia. Thanks to the owners and team for keeping the magic alive!

They were very helpful when our battery died and let us use a jump box to start it. The movie was nice but a little hard to see at times. Great place to go!
Rachel W — Google review
I haven't been to any movie theater in many years because of the price and people being loud during a show. I really wanted to see the new Superman on the big screen and a friend suggested the drive-in. Honestly, I thought the drive-in closed a long time ago, but was pleasantly surprised to discover it was still open. I had a blast watching Superman AND F1 for one low price in the quietness of my car. The concession prices were also reasonable and I really enjoyed the fresh buttery popcorn that can only be found at theaters. I will definitely go back more often now that I know this gem is still alive and kicking.

The South Drive In is exactly what it should be! A relic of simpler times bridging into our modern life. Buy tickets online to speed up check in, bring a battery powered radio, roll down the windows and enjoy a double feature on a warm summer night! 🎟️🎥🍿
Joel D — Google review
We very much enjoyed the experience. Got to watch 2 movies for 1 price which is cheaper than indoor theaters where you only get to watch 1 movie. The concession prices were also reasonable. Hot buttered popcorn was fresh, no unpopped kernels at the bottom. We can't wait to go back for another movie night.
Its M — Google review
If you want to experience nostalgia, treat the kids to a stress free movie experience, or see a couple of movies for half the price of a theater, this would be the place. Price $12 per adult. There are 2 screens so the choice is convenient. If you are going on the weekend, I would suggest going around 45 minutes prior to the start of the movie. The line to get in can get backed up pretty far. You can pay through the website or at the gate (cash or card). You can listen with speakers or through your radio tuned to the appropriate station. We tried to go to the concession, but the line was pretty long and didn't have time before the movie started. There are bathrooms available, they are dated and look dinghy but work if you have to go. You could always bring a cooler with your own snacks or food. Or stop at fast food on the way there. A great part of the experience. There were a lot of suv's (which you could see around). A few of the larger trucks seemed a little tall to see around. Some people were using lawn chairs and sat on the ground, and some had the chairs in the flatbed of the truck. Getting in and out is pretty easy, sign tell you which to.enter and exit.. We had a great time. Something nostalgic at a reasonable price. It was fun and would probably do it again.

Restaurant
Barcelona Restaurant and Bar, located in German Village, offers a genuine taste of Spain with its bustling atmosphere and sleek space. The LGBTQIA-owned establishment has been serving classic tapas like patatas bravas and empanadas since the 90s. The menu also features shareable specialties such as charbroiled cauliflower, mussels in tomato curry and coconut cream, and baked manchego with sun-dried tomato jam.
“American sized” tapas, more like “de talla mediana” (medium sized plates). Portions sizes are quite big compared to what you would expect for a tapas place. But presentation, quality of food, service and ambience are excellent, especially the outdoor patio. We were out there with a group of friends for dinner. My wife and I ordered a bunch of tapas items and by the 6th one we were full, didn’t order the main course anymore. We ordered Sangria and few other cocktails as well - everything was perfect. Our server Brad was fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

First time visiting the restaurant as we had a friend come over from Cincinnati. Happy hour menu was reasonable especially the tapas (they only serve them at the bar which had a very wide table). They were all good. Yana served us and she's been a delightful person the whole time we were there so make sure you ask for her (she's at the bar). She made my Martini and it was so good! I tasted the sangria too and it was perfect.

Topiary Park, situated in the Discovery District of Downtown Columbus, is a unique and tranquil attraction for botany enthusiasts. It stands out as the only public park in the world featuring landscape plants meticulously trimmed to recreate Georges Seurat's famous post-impressionist painting 'A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte.' The brainchild of sculptor James T.
Tucked away right behind the Columbus Metropolitan library and the prestigious school is this beautiful garden full of metal and shapes and a pond and picture us moments. I went for Wellness Wednesdays, which will be held throughout the summer and got an opportunity to bring in a beautiful day with great stretches and more Wednesdays to come with Soundbath and meditation.

As others have said, a cool little garden tucked away in downtown - nicely shaded on the hot summer day. Pay to park on the street for less than $1.00 for an hour. The link between the painting and the topiary is a nice approach. If you walk outside the park, some nice murals and sculptures as well. Can spend at least 30 minutes there.

This was my first time visiting the Topiary Park, and it is absolutely beautiful! The plants are shaped like humans and animals, which looks so cute and whimsical. There are so many of these creative topiaries that I couldn’t stop admiring them. The garden was peaceful and not very crowded, making it easy to enjoy a relaxed stroll. In addition to the topiaries, there are lots of beautiful flowering plants. You can even have a picnic lunch in the shade and spend a lovely amount of time soaking in the scenery. A delightful spot for nature and garden lovers!

Nestled in the charming German Village, The Book Loft is a renowned independent bookstore that occupies a historic Pre-Civil War building. Beyond books, visitors can also find an array of gifts and t-shirts to peruse. This picturesque setting provides ample opportunities for bookish photo ops and leisurely browsing through its vast collection.
Wow. I have died and gone to book heaven! I literally got lost in this place. One room leads into another and before you know it, you don’t remember how to get back! I could spend hours just exploring. Street level has kids and teens books. Their prices are good on some books, many are simply 5% off retail. But I found two great priced books in perfect condition. For Christmas, just give me $100 and trust me loose in this place!!

Huge bookstore, was this place designed by Sarah Winchester?! So many rooms, passages, stairways, it's easy to get lost. Good thing they have such an excellent selection of new and used books. I could literally spend an entire afternoon just hanging out here, and I don't even think they have a cafe. They do have a nice garden though. I spent about an hour wondering around, looking at everything they had to offer. They have any genre you could think of, recommendations, posters and other gifts. I probably still missed a couple of rooms. I managed to keep it to two books, but easily could've gone way off the rails here. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

Start your day with a visit to Bakersfield for some authentic Mexican cuisine and an extensive selection of tequilas and whiskeys. Then, head over to Penn & Beech Candle Co., where you can create your own custom scents and pour your own candles. This unique experience is perfect for connecting with friends or loved ones. Additionally, the company offers various events such as Lights & Flights, crafts & candles, cocktails and candles, and even yoga and candles sessions.
This candle making shop is so adorable, not to mention the staff is always friendly and helpful when instructing you on how to create your candle. The selection of scents is huge and they have some very unique scents. They also have alcoholic beverage options which is a nice touch for a weekend night out/date night. This was my second visit to Penn and Beech and it was just as pleasant as my first visit.

Loved this entire experience! The staff is welcoming especially Khai! He has the best vibe and great Knowledge of the scents. He helped us create the most alluring and exotic scents just by listening! We’re making this a Monthly Event. Please try the Mimosas they were so delicious (strong) We adored this location went and had dinner while they completed our Candles!

Went here for a date with my partner and Abel took care of us. It was a really fun experience and the staff were very accommodating as we brought our own containers for the candles and they helped us work out the measurements even though the sizing was a bit awkward. So we are very grateful to Abel for going above and beyond to make our experience special. They were also managing several groups at a time but still attentive to everyone there, so kudos to Abel. Both my partner and I are very happy with the candles we made

My daughter and I had a wonderful time making candles! There was a huge selection of scents to choose from and we both found fun activity to share. The young woman AMY who guided us through was truly helpful and very pleasant! We will definitely be going back!

We never come in to the area and skip this spot!!! Lilly normally takes care of us and we just adore them, but today we had the pleasure of Khai and had equally a fun and enjoyable experience. Made four custom candles and melts for our preferences to enjoy in our home. Buy 3 get 1 is such an amazing offer to pass up

This place was AMAZING. I love fragrances & wanted to try my hand at making something myself. Located in the Short North, it was close to food, shopping, and all sorts of amenities. Parking was cheap-- 3 hours for $5. I made a reservation online & went in-- the place doesn't smell overpowering, which is a huge win for me. I was worried everything would start smelling muddled. I knew exactly what I wanted, so i moved through the note options pretty quickly. I couldn't decide on just one blend, so I bought 4 fragrance sprays. The experience was a blast, my fragrances smell AMAZING, and it was a wonderful little stop on a day trip. Definitely can't wait to go back!!

Wow what a great experience curating selecting and mixing your own candies! We select a variety of scents and smells then pick the jar and wick and the staff helps combine the scents. We poured our own scent oils then mixed it with the melted wax. There's an abundant selection of scents. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Definitely visit for this experience.

Glass Axis is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in the art of glass-blowing. Located at 614 W Town St, Columbus, Ohio 43215, this facility offers a variety of opportunities to explore and experience the craft. Visitors can participate in glass-blowing classes, view captivating exhibits, and witness mesmerizing demonstrations throughout the year. The recent expansion of their space has added even more excitement to this already fascinating venue.
My husband and I had a great time at our class! We did the blown pumpkins. We have never done glass blowing, and it was a good mix of getting to be hands-on and having help from our instructor to make sure it turned out well. Sophie was a great teacher and very friendly! We'll definitely come back for another class! It takes about a week for the pumpkins to be ready for pickup, but I'll update with pictures (if I remember).

Hubby took me here for mother's day knowing I've always wanted to try glass blowing. Exer was our instructor. She was fabulous. Patient, kind, and really good teaching us how to handle the tools and glass. We made 2 beautiful glass tumblers. We will look for more classes with her. She made the experience even more amazing.

Mitchell's Ocean Club is an upscale supper club in Columbus, Ohio, known for its seafood focus and prime steaks. The restaurant offers a vibrant energy and stunning settings, making it perfect for intimate evenings or group gatherings. With a wide range of seafood and steak options, including the popular salmon and filet mignon dishes, as well as a signature wine list with over 50 options by the glass, Mitchell's Ocean Club promises an exceptional dining experience.
I’ve been to Ocean Club multiple times over the years for dinner, but last week was my first time in for brunch and it was amazing. Our waitress Monica was so kind and knowledgeable about the menu, every time I go to Ocean club the service is impeccable. I accidentally spilled my mimosa and the manager Peyton immediately got me another one. I was slightly embarrassed, but they made a lighthearted joke about it and helped lighten my mood. The food was delicious, absolutely delicious. I have never had a bad meal at Ocean Club, it is hands down my favorite restaurant!

My first experience at ocean club was wonderful! The restaurant was beautiful and clean and the staff were amazing. Lilly and the others hots were so friendly and helpful and we all felt very welcomed. Our server, Ethan, and his server assist, Jameson, were phenomenal and we were wowed by our amazing service. They were polite and very attentive with a positive attitude and in depth knowledge of the menu. The food was beyond delicious and was made in a timely manner for a Saturday night. I am so pleased with my experience there and I will be returning.

This is by far the best place to enjoy oysters, lobster, and especially the lobster bisque soup! Every dish was incredibly delicious and creamy, with generous chunks of fresh lobster in every bite. I’ve tried lobster bisque at many different restaurants, but none compare to the one here at Mitchell’s Ocean Club. This soup is on a whole other level — absolutely divine. By far a 10/10. Compliments to the chef! And don't forget to ask for Christian amazing server

Wow, this place was amazing! We got there on a Friday at 415pm for happy hour and the place was already packed. Get there early if you want preferred seating. This place has everything you would expect. Awesome food, thoughtful delicious drinks, and excellent service. You're paying top dollar and getting everything you expect in return. The sushi roll and calamari were great but the tortellini was incredible! One of the best things I've ever tried and wanted a loaf of bread to dip in the sauce. Just unreal. Highly recommend!

Oh-My-Gosh…we were in Columbus for a graduation and driving by spotted this sign. Turned out to be the only restaurant I have dined to have every-single-item be top tier in presentation and flavor. The best ever house salad, gourmet gator tops, creamed spinach, NY steak, sushi, twice baked potato, jumbo prawn cocktail, and top shelf drinks! The icing was our friendly, perfectly poised of information, extremely knowledgeable server, KYLIE!! Thank you Kylie, for making our family celebration extraordinary and memorable! Though we did not have a reservation…they asked us if we were celebrating something and then surprised us with graduation decorations on our table. Beautiful ambience as well! Their mindset is, “Yes, is the answer. What is the question?” The BEST!!

This ocean club has been one of the most popular decent restaurants at Easton for years. There are private rooms, a great bar, a rooftop patio, and many good-looking servers. I finally had a chance to eat here with my friend. Their seafood entrees were impressive with fresh seafood and chef’s innovations. The tuna tartare as an appetizer was phenomenal where juicy tuna was perfectly mixed with avocado and secret sauce. I would highly recommend the sea scallop entree. Juicy and tender scallops were grilled perfectly with decent risotto. Their martini tasted great with an alcohol marinated pineapple chunk. However, their sushi was mediocre. It tasted like those sold at Kroger with better tuna. Honestly, we were disappointed with the atmosphere of the dining room. This is my first time feeling crowded at a luxury restaurant because tables were extremely close to each other. It would not be surprising if I joined other people by turning around. The room was also very noisy. I could not hear clearly sitting in front of my friend. It was also hard for servers who sometimes had to push our chairs to get through. This should not happen at a luxury restaurant.

My husband and I were lucky enough to get a giftcard that let us dine here, and our experience was the best we could have asked for! Our waiter, whose English name was James, was so attentive and personable. The filet IS as good as everyone says, especially with the truffle butter. Get the goat cheese ravioli and Gouda tots! The cocktails were very good. Everything was TOP notch! We’ll be talking about this place forever.
Cheyenne D — Google review
Took my girlfriend here for here birthday last night and we had an amazing experience. Our waiter (James) was so good at making the experience even better and cannot say how great he was. We started with some cocktails, I had the Tequila cocktail which tasted so good. My girfriend had the passion martini and she loved it. Then we had some appetizers. The shrimp cocktail and a crab cake. Both were great! After that was dinner and it did not disappoint. Chilean sea bass for me and lobster tails for my GF. Amazing! We finished with dessert, peanut butter chocalate pie and warm butter cake! We loved our night at the Ocean club and would highly recommend for someone looking to have some great food. Only thing we did not care was the music was a little loud and hard to talk. Or maybe I'm just old. Lol overall great experience!!!

Italian restaurant
Basi Italia is a charming Italian restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, offering a cozy and casual dining experience with a seasonal menu featuring locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant's intimate setting and innovative twist on traditional Northern Italian dishes make it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. With an inviting patio and steaming plates of sumptuous food, Basi Italia provides a relaxed atmosphere where friends and neighbors can gather to enjoy good wine and conversation.
Such a gem! We booked a reservation and staff was excellent at keeping us up to date as our original reservation had a wait list. After a few days they let us know we could sit inside which worked for us. Parking could be difficult as there is mostly parallel on street parking nearby but they do have an option for valet which was about the same cost as parking anyways. Inside dining is a bit tight but it works as we were all comfortable at our table. We didn't go to the patio but next time we'd like to give that a try. The food was fantastic. I'm so glad we have an actual Italian restaurant to go to besides the big chains. I had the lamb which was amazing and cooked perfectly. Appetizers were great and so was the dessert. Take a look at some of the photos and start drueling! We will definitely be coming back!
Kevin M — Google review
Basi was by far one of the best recommendations we’ve ever gotten. From start to finish, everything we tried was incredible. We started with the grilled artichoke carpaccio, and honestly, we are still trying to find the words to describe how amazing it was. Just unforgettable. We also had the mussels, which were perfectly cooked and full of flavor, however, the broth could use more seasoning. For mains, the butter-poached cod was exactly that: buttery in the best way. Every bite was rich and delicious. We also had the NY Strip Steak, which was a menu special. We ordered it medium rare but it came out rare — but that made it even better. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the pepper on top had this sweet and salty balance that worked so well. Dessert was lemon ricotta gelato and cannolis, always a win. The only small downside was that the space felt a bit hot and loud, and the chairs weren’t the most comfortable, but the food was so good it didn’t really matter. We’ll definitely be back… mostly because we can’t stop thinking about that artichoke.

We had an awesome experience at Basi Italia! The atmosphere is truly so dreamy out on the patio, the service is really great and food comes out fast- their dishes are playful with truly fantastic flavors! I will say that I think if they were able to make their pasta fresh from scratch in house, that would definitely bring their pasta game to the next level- overall, a neighborhood gem! Excellent food and service. Went on a humid evening and patio could've used another fan. Looking forward to 2nd visit. Lamb chops were amazing!
Gregory O — Google review
Wonderful evening! Its been 20 years, but Basi still exceeds all expectations. MJ provided fabulous service. The Parmesan brulee was decadent, though you will need more crostinis. The lamb and eggplant parm were amazing. The special was a pork chop. It was a bit dry, but the mashed potatoes with fennel made up for it. I highly recommend the sangria, especially paired with the patio and people watching. I will not wait another 20 years til my next visit.

What A great neighborhood restaurant with a beautiful covered patio space in the back. The complimentary bread service to start with was phenomenal. We shared five appetizers - mussels, artichoke carpaccio, zucchini, Parmesan brûlée, caesar salad - and they were all great. Everyone loved their pastas, while I went with the lamb chops which were cooked perfectly. I highly recommend Basi Italian!
Michael C — Google review
Delicious! The zucchini starter was our favorite part, definitely recommend that. The artichoke starter also looked delicious, will be trying that next time we go. The focaccia bread with truffle oil that they bring out is also amazing, so unique, unlike any focaccia I’ve ever had. For mains we got the shrimp risotto special (which was just okay), and the eggplant parmesan (which was good). The patio ambience was quaint and cozy.

The Kelton House Museum & Garden in Columbus, Ohio is a historic mansion with Greek revival and Italianate architecture. It was once a crucial stop on the Underground Railroad and played a significant role in 19th-century history. The serene house, surrounded by pastureland, was occupied by the Kelton family until 1975 when it was bequeathed to the Columbus Foundation.
The Kelton House is an absolute gem for wedding photography! As Seth & Beth Wedding Photography, we’ve had the pleasure of capturing countless beautiful moments here. The gardens are simply stunning, providing a lush and vibrant backdrop for photos. The ceremony location is perfect, offering an intimate and romantic setting that truly enhances every couple's special day.

I can not recommend the Kelton House highly enough. We had our intimate wedding ceremony here for 13 people and it was perfect. The gardens are gorgeous and the spaces for getting ready were everything we needed. The staff was great to work with. James the event coordinator was super accommodating with anything we needed. The setup when we got there was perfect; it was everything we envisioned and more.

We had the most perfect wedding ceremony at Kelton House (our reception was at another location). It made for a beautiful setting and the areas to get ready were all perfect and beautiful. Our guests were even able to tour the museum before the ceremony!

The Columbus Library was having a Holiday Trolley Hop and this was one of the stops! The interior was lovely and had lots of dainty antique dishware and furniture. One room had a Lego cathedral that a woman and her son had spent two years constructing! I was so busy admiring it that I forgot to take photos. Go see it yourself, it's excellent! The basement featured a connection to the underground railround and there were detailed set pieces as well as placards of information. We were offered snacks and beverages in a backroom facing the garden. There were coloring pages out, too.

This museum is a beautifully and meticulously preserved Victorian mansion that is steeped in rich history. I went for Fernando's Funeral and enjoyed the event throughly, and now I find myself wanting to go back to do the full tour. Staff/curators were knowledgeable and memorable, they really made us feel welcome and gave us so much interesting information about the house as well as the family who loved, lived and died there.

Beautiful place and architecture. The sections of the gallery are well displayed, lighting, music and videography are well curated and tells you about the whole subject of the exposition. Wexner Center for the arts offers a truly unique and thought-provoking experience, showcasing a diverse collection of contemporary works. However, it might not be the ideal destination for children, particularly those who struggle to see artistic merit in unconventional displays like water pipes and light bulbs arranged as sculptures. Appreciating many of the exhibits requires a certain abstract thinking and an ability to relate to the complex, unseen narratives that life often presents. For those who possess this conceptual understanding, this art center is an enriching and inspiring visit.

Nestled within the vibrant campus of The Ohio State University, the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum stands as a treasure trove for cartoon enthusiasts and art lovers alike. This remarkable institution boasts the largest collection of comic strip art globally, featuring an astounding 300,000 original cartoons alongside 2.5 million clippings from comic strips and newspapers. Visitors can delight in iconic works like 'Family Circus' and 'Peanuts,' evoking nostalgia for those who cherished Sunday morning comics.
The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum is relatively accessible. The entrance to the building has long ramps that are not too steep for those in a wheelchair or in general who cannot use the stairs. They have accessible entrances that can open automatically into the building however they lack it when entering the actual museum as well as the doors that lead to the restroom. There is an elevator that allows for access to the second floor where it is located as well. Within the actual museum I like that signing in is at a lower table with an opening to sit at like a desk as well as all the displays that are on stands are easily visible. Overall the museum is accessible, however, it could use some improvements to be fully accessible.

We thoroughly enjoyed the museum. Very well curated with so many details of cartoons history. Highly recommended if you like the topic. 🙌🏻 We loved learning about the different techniques used by the cartoonists!
Labusti — Google review
I visited this location because it is located on campus and is free for everyone to access. Overall, the building is generally accessible for people with disabilities. When I arrived, I noticed a ramp leading to the entrance, clear signage, and accessible doors. There was also an elevator conveniently located near the entrance, with a sign pointing to it and buttons placed low for easy access. Inside the museum, the walkways were wide, and there were plenty of seating areas, making the space easy to navigate and comfortable. The wooden flooring was also smooth and accessible. I appreciated that the pictures and descriptions were placed lower on the wall, which makes them easier to view, though I did notice there was no Braille available. One downside was that parking near the building was limited, which could make access confusing for some visitors. The lighting inside was a bit dim, which may be challenging for people with low vision, but the quiet and calm environment could be helpful for individuals with sensory sensitivities. Overall, I would rate the accessibility a 4 out of 5. The location has many great accommodations, but there’s still room for improvement.
Sophie P — Google review
The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum is a really neat, free feature on OSU's campus. We stopped by on Friday and had a great time. There are parking garages on campus just a short walk from the museum building, and we paid $10.00 for event parking (probably due to the graduation weekend). The museum is on the 2nd floor, and had a few featured exhibits on display - 3 rooms total. While not huge, it's still really enjoyable to walk around and see what they have. Pictures were allowed in some spots. There was a fun variety of art, a lot that was very nostalgic! I think there's also a reference library people can check out, but by appointment. I would absolutely recommend people stop by the cartoon museum if they're in Columbus and have the opportunity.

Nice little free museum on the second floor of Sullivant Hall, right off high street. They have a lot of original Calvin and Hobbes artwork, in addition to revolving exhibits. Been here twice, back in 2017 and now in 2023, and it was a fun way to spend an hour or so both times. An absolute hidden gem on campus.

Veritas is a hidden gem located in downtown Columbus, offering an intimate and elegant dining experience. The restaurant features a cozy decor that exudes a pastoral charm, creating the perfect ambiance for enjoying its elevated dishes and tasting menus. With a deep wine list and impeccable service, Veritas promises to impress diners with its artful dishes inspired by travel and the seasons. Chef Josh Dalton's relocation of this modern American restaurant has only enhanced its reputation as one of the best in the city.
This is a set of photos (including the menus) of the Korean Supper Club that's going on when this is posted! My understanding is that the menu changes periodically, so this is what me and my girlfriend and I had when we went. The atmosphere was amazing, with the music being complimentary to the experience. The food was amazing! Every dish served was perfect! My girlfriend had the drink pairing with it, but I decided to get individual drinks!

Excellently done tasting menu from Veritas. We were there for the current Mexican tour. You will definitely taste and be reminded of all the great Mexican flavors. Service was quick, polite and personal. Our server took her time to explain the dishes and chef inspirations. We didn’t do the wine pairing, but next time we will as we were impressed with the flavor of the dishes. Pricey but well worth it. Veritas will rotate their tasting menus about every two months. Looking forward to the next. Highly recommended.

It was my first time visiting Visitas. Someone recommended me to come to try their fixed 6 course menu The service was really good and the atmosphere was beautiful. The food was good but it was very little, I understand that it is a tasting menu but also they need to remember that it is dinner for many of us. The last course before the dessert was a bit better, so I had to eat some rice and pita to get a little satisfied. For $130, including a trip and no drinks, just water, I find it not a great value. Even if they race their price a little and serve more food, it will be greatly appreciated. I will probably not come back for the fixed menu anymore.

Excellent serving staff, very knowledgeable on what they are serving. The kitchen team KS great and really awesome! The floor manager is great and prompt and attentive. The food is +A. It is really expensive! But worth it. Spent $476. Worth it.

The tasting menu was superb, with imaginative compositions, excellent preparations, and great flavors. The paired wines were of high quality and matched the food very well. The servers were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. It was a great experience. The room was pretty full, and we were happy that we were easily able to hear each other throughout the evening.

**Update** The Veritas team went above and beyond to try and make things right. They obviously care about their customer experience and that speaks volumes. We will give them another shot. I disagree with the overall google review “People say this restaurant offers a superb tasting menu with imaginative compositions, excellent preparations, and great flavors. They highlight the paired wines are of high quality and match the food well, and the atmosphere is amazing with complimentary music. They also like the friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service.” We did the taste of Mexico and when I had covid, my food had more flavor. Everything we had was extremely lack luster at best. The wagyu was stringy and oily and the duck was dry and flavorless. The ceviche and corn maze popcorn were the best and not enough to justify the price or salvage the meal. The service and atmosphere were wonderful. The place did comp our 2 cocktails which was appreciated. Our bill was still over $300 before tip. We love the chef’s tasting format and have enjoyed numerous experiences internationally. This unfortunately did not meet the mark. Glad Veritas is in Columbus. I think it's just misses the mark for the 5 stars but so close. Food was very good for Japanese Supper Club. I did also enjoy my cocktails. The highlights: I loved the first course-could eat 10 plates of it-especially the tart and the eggplant. Sashimi was could-could be a little more punchy. I did also enjoy the udon soup and the grilled eel bowl. The shaved ice was a nice palate cleanser. Service was slow for the # of courses/time between courses was a tad too long. Most dishes were well balanced but some need refinement. Ex: Katsu breading-fell off the meat and not quite crispy enough. The dessert was so rich with the rice porridge and needed more ice cream to balance it out. It's a supper club so it's a set menu. I do wish if there is one dish you like in particular you could get more of it! Excited to try it again.

Fantastic experience right in heart of downtown. Parking is, as expected, not free but plenty of garages and surface lots, plus street parking, around. Very friendly staff and they explain each dish as it comes out.

I came to this location for the first time for a going away party and I was pleasantly surprised by the depth and atmosphere in Downtown Columbus, OH! I actually worked at the 111 N. 4th Street, building for Ameritech and I was so glad to see that this surprisingly spacious location existed! It was clean, well organized, when we got ready for Duckpin Bowling! The shortened lanes were an unexpected added bonus! My friends and I had the best time! This is a location that I would choose to go to again and again. Mishele, the bartender/mixologist, helped me craft an amazing drink, but more importantly, her customer service made my evening! I was looking at the drink menu and it was awesome, especially for Beer enthusiasts, but I had my taste buds set on certain ingredients, but I didn’t know how to create a cocktail out of it. She patiently answered and asked questions to arrive at a pleasantly surprising Cocktail, that gave me a better than expected experience! I have been to the other Columbus locations, but I love this set up and I will definitely be returning with friends in tow.

Had an extraordinary time. So did everybody in our group. They had some iconic pinballs machines. A few old-time video games. Awesome miniature bowling. Two lovely patios. One patio with adult swings and outside activities such as giant Jenga. All the stuff was very friendly. The drinks were delicious. Expensive but what is it. Truly can't wait to get back again. They do not have food but they do allow outside food. And provides food trucks most weekends

Happy Elephant food truck here at Pins today until 10pm. Stop by after Comfest 2025 and have some authentic Lao & Thai cuisine and beer on the Pins patio or order take out for dinner or lunch tomorrow. Make sure you try the chicken skewers, Pad Thai chicken, papaya salad, and Nam Kao rice = all my favorites 😋

Pins mechanical is one of my favorite places to go to de-stress from a long week. Amazing drinks, awesome service, and an atmosphere that provides a lot to do. Duck pin is always a good time as well as playing the retro pinball machines. A lot of options on draft and tons of seating with aesthetic atmosphere. I also really enjoy the swings outback - I think this is a fun quirky touch!

Discover the natural beauty and adventure at Scioto Audubon Metro Park, a 120-acre urban oasis in Columbus, Ohio. This wildlife preserve offers diverse habitats for local wildlife and features boardwalks through wetlands, perfect for observing migratory birds. The park also boasts a climbing wall, fishing opportunities, volleyball courts, and dog parks where your furry friends can roam off-leash.
Scioto Park is a serene oasis, perfect for a leisurely walk, run, or relaxing in nature. The fresh air and gentle breeze make it a lovely spot to unwind. While the riverside area can be affected by pollen, it's still a great place for birdwatching, with opportunities to spot some rare species. Overall, it's a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Nice park with the partially climbable water tower, outdoor rock climbing (shorter and taller - bring own harness), playground and more with lots of parking and views of the large bridge.
J L — Google review
There are some super cool features to this park (climbing wall! cool playground!). But I think overall it was overhyped. There’s not really a view of the river from the park. I also heard it was a good place to watch sunset, but the view from other parks north on the river (like around Cosi) are much better in my opinion. Still, it had a very metro-park vibe in that you really are surrounded by some green nature but also can see some of the city.

Great lessons on belaying and lots of patience with folks of varying skills levels. Climbing walls of varying challenge levels. Gym was clean and bright.

The staff is helpful for beginners. There is no more auto-belay apparently in Columbus including here. But one can do bouldering instead. They also have a small gym with decent equipment ( I didn't try this so don't know how comprehensive it is). The place has a very friendly vibe, and people are kind and accommodating.

So welcoming, kind, and helpful. My children 6 & 4 have been interested and they had a lesson with Sammy and Sydney. As we left the first words out of my kids were, “Can we come back tomorrow?” This is such a great activity and I would highly recommend. I’m thrilled they had such a wonderful introduction. Thank you!
Jamie D — Google review
I visited this climbing gym on a Saturday afternoon with my 5-year-old nephew, excited to have a fun and active outing. Unfortunately, the experience was frustrating and disappointing. I asked a staff member to belay me, and they told me they’d be there in just a few minutes. I waited — and waited — but no one came to help. After a follow up, and 30 minutes passed, someone finally showed up asking if I still wanted a belay. At that point I had lost all interest and decided I didn’t want to force the staff to do something if they weren’t genuinely interested in helping a customer. Did not get a single climb in. All the while, I was trying to keep my nephew entertained and safe in a busy environment, which made the delay even more stressful. It felt like I was completely forgotten, and it really soured the entire visit. I expected better communication and support, especially on a weekend when families are coming in to enjoy themselves. Otherwise the gym was well equipped.
Elysian L — Google review
Great climbing gym! There's no shortage of routes for top roping and lead roping. Also a large bouldering wall. Routes are changed fairly frequently, but still give you enough time to project different routes. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Other members are also friendly and fun to talk to, and also helpful with sharing Beta when asked. There have been a couple times where I've seen staff crack down on people sliding there masks down to take a breather, which can be annoying. This is the first climbing gym I've bought a membership to, and as happy as I am to be a member, they did jack their prices up a good bit when they reopened after Covid which I found out after talking to my brother who had been a member for awhile. I'd like to see the rates go back down. That being said management has always been a breeze to deal with when needing to manage my account, and I think their new point reward system will be great. Overall a great gym. I regularly attend with my 16 year old daughter and we always have an absolute blast.
Caleb C — Google review
This is a fantastic gym. We traveled here from out of town to tryout a different gym and VA did not disappoint. We did think that there were going to be more auto belay climbs (maybe 4?), but having a good bouldering area upstairs and on the base floor more than made up for it. Be aware that if it is your first time going they will test you on both auto belay, regular belay, and lead to make sure you know what you're doing. (The questions for regular belay were very vague) So make sure you know how to explain the process 👍 The routes were really great and had a nice selection that's difficulty ranged from vb/5.5 to V10/5.14 so there is something for everyone.
Elizabeth R — Google review
Had a good time here with the kids. Very different from the other Rick climbing gyms we've been to. You need to be certified to belay.

Located in Columbus, Ohio, the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) is a top science museum offering interactive exhibits, working labs, planetarium shows, and a variety of hands-on science exhibits covering themes like Oceans, Gadgets, and Energy. The museum also features a Little Kidspace for younger children and a permanent American Museum of Natural History Dinosaur Gallery. Visitors can enjoy dining at the on-site cafe and restaurant or shop at the gift shop.
There are many exhibits to explore. The dinosaur & shark exhibits were great to see, as they had life size models on display & it was very informative. The Ocean exhibit was fun because you can go into a real submarine & there is an interactive water room. One of the best things about the museum is how many hands on things there are to do. It's definitely a great place for all ages.

The visit was amazing! We visited for the Unofficial Galaxies event since we are huge Star Wars fans. The event was spectacular with a ton of really insane exhibits that were mostly fan made. We were absolutely thrilled to see all of the handmade items and pieces from the films. We recommend buying tickets in advance. Also the military discount here is only $2 but still worth it.

Coming from out of town, looking to kill some time, it did not disappoint!Cool science center. There were tons of day camp kids running wild, but that can be expected on a weekday morning in the summer. Very cool hands on stuff for kids. The natural history exhibits were cool, along with the Town of Progress exhibit. Would definitely recommend if you are in the Columbus area.

This place is so worth it. For only $30 bucks we got over 3 hours of fun and useful information about the world we live in. We visited the planetarium twice for two films that were incredible and at no extra charge. You definitely can make a whole days worth out of this museum. I also enjoyed that it’s not only child oriented but also includes stuff for adults to do. Also don’t forget to check out the shows they do during the day. We got to see rats play basketball! My one and only complaint about this place is I wish there were more cool shirts in the gift shop for adults! (All the cool ones are for the kids)

I finally made it here after knowing about it for more than 20 years and it was totally worth it. I teared up a little when I first walked i to the dinosaur room. Seriously so amazing to see. And I was in awe of the beauty in the Poseidon room. I think that might have been my favorite. An incredible experience for sure. Absolutely worth a visit!

While I've been a member for several years, we just had our first visit with a child and it's a much better experience. While the Pixar exhibit was a little too advanced for our 10 month old, the rest of the museum was very fun for him. The kids play space on level 2 was amazing. Water tables, vehicle and market play spaces and foam padded play areas. It's a great indoor playground that is perfect in the winter time. Despite having been there several times before we just discovered the cafeteria. While the café by the ticket area is very nice it wasn't until after we got our snacks that we realized there is a fully fledged cafeteria. Kelly was very welcoming the food really hit the spot. Absolutely worth the family pass.

Nestled just south of the Ohio Statehouse, the stunning Ohio Theatre is a true gem of Spanish-Baroque architecture that has captivated audiences since its grand opening in 1928. Originally designed as a movie palace and variety show venue, this majestic theater features an impressive 21-foot chandelier and intricate details that transport visitors to another era.
My daughter and I had the pleasure of seeing Hamilton at the Ohio Theatre a few days ago—and it was absolutely spectacular! The theatre itself is beautifully maintained and comfortably climate-controlled, with plush seating that made the experience even more enjoyable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. Overall, the Ohio Theatre is a fantastic venue for Broadway productions—we couldn’t have asked for a better evening!

This magnificent building is a wonderful historic venue to watch the CAPA Summer Movie Series, now in its 56th year. The Mighty Morton Organ, almost 100 years in operation here, is a joy to hear.

Beautiful theater and perfect location. The original charm has been well maintained and the sights are breathtaking. Ample paid parking nearby with reasonable rates. I had a little turn around trying to pick up tickets from will call and it was a very busy crowd so it was hard to navigate, but it was the final show of Hamilton so it was to be expected. There are quite a few employees stationed around to help direct you and every person I interacted with was kind. The show was very good. One small thing I did notice though was the distribution of sound..... many times throughout the show, the volume of the music overpowered the lyricists and given that Hamilton packs so much info into the lyrics, it was a bit frustrating not being able to hear precisely. Again, that may be attributed to the performance and not the theater or sound engineer, but worth noting nonetheless. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back!

Absolutely gorgeous. I know this is not the way to review a "show" but getting to see The Cursed Child in such a magical place only added to the experience. Beautifully maintained. Modernized in tech without ruining the atmosphere. You could spend days admiring details and exploring passages even outside of seeing a show... now if I had one complaint, and it has to be said in support of the rest of my tall brethren, these are the most painfully uncomfortable seats I've ever experienced. The nose bleeds at blue jackets stadium are not this bad. The biggest distractions of the night were myself and those around me consult shifting and wincing in pain.

The Ohio Statehouse, completed in 1861, is a grand Greek revival building that serves as the state Capitol and seat of governance for the Ohio state government. The structure underwent multiple design changes and was supervised by five architects before its completion. Influenced by Greek architecture, it exudes grandeur and tradition. Visitors are drawn to its historical art, including The Grand Stair Hall and the Rotunda.
I took a phenomenal tour with Larry. He was a very friendly tour guide open to many questions and was very knowledgeable. This capitol was amazing. The Rotunda was fantastic, along with the Chambers. I really enjoyed my visit to the Ohio Statehouse. The architecture is beautiful, and the museum exhibits give a great overview of the building’s design and history. There’s so much to learn about both the construction and the role the Statehouse has played over time. If you want to go through all the exhibits thoroughly, it can easily take a full day. A great place to explore if you enjoy history, architecture, or just want to experience an important landmark in Ohio.

Our guide was former military and had an expert knowledge of Ohio history. Can’t think of a better way to spend taxpayer money.
Barry — Google review
“The Statehouse is built in the Greek Revival style, a type of design based on the buildings of ancient Greece and very popular in the U.S. during the early and mid 1800s. Because ancient Greece is the birthplace of democracy, the style had great meaning in the young American nation. Greek Revival was simple and straightforward and looked nothing at all like the Gothic Revival buildings popular in Europe at the same period. The broad horizontal mass of the building and the even and regular rows of columns resemble such buildings as the Parthenon in Athens. The Ohio Statehouse is a masonry building, consisting largely of Columbus limestone. The limestone was taken from a quarry on the west banks of the Scioto River. The stone of the Statehouse foundation is more than 18 feet deep. During the course of the Statehouse's construction, 22 years would pass, but it would not be a period of non-stop work. Construction would cease during the harsh winter months, and as the project would exceed its budget, there would often be halts in construction as new funding was arranged. The longest gap in construction came about when the legislation making Columbus the state capitol was due to expire. There was a eight-year lapse in the building of the Statehouse from 1840-1848. The completed basement and foundations were actually filled in with soil and Capitol Square was used as a pasture.”

This was a celebration for my daughters birthday. This is a beautiful restaurant. The decor is amazing. They have high beams of wood 🪵 work! I loved the presentation of the vases & the chandeliers. We had the best waitress named Casey. She went above to accommodate our needs. Especially my granddaughter has a food allergy. Kudos to the chef. I loved the hospitality of the management. I had to send my salmon 🍣 back because I was expecting the cooking a little different. Casey had them make me a new one! Based on the culinary 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳I wasn’t used to the taste! I wanted more seasoning on my salmon! I did add salt & I normally don’t use it. I appreciate the effort. I was happy with their carrot, this dessert was extremely delicious! My granddaughter who don’t like it tastes she like it. I order one to take home. My daughter enjoyed her lamb chops! My granddaughter enjoyed her pasta 🍝with cheese 🧀inside the noodles! It was good! My daughter enjoyed the cocktails 🍸 🍹 . I’ll update if I get the name! I advise you to check it out! The short north! You have to park 🅿️on street or the garage. Really good food, but the bar area was super understaffed, which made the experience pretty slow. Our server/bartender was great, but she was covering too many tables and making drinks at the same time. We had to keep looking for her and ended up not even being able to order another drink, which was frustrating. The menu was awesome with lots of great options. I got the filet, which was cooked perfectly with great sides. The grits were surprisingly good too — creamy with an egg yolk on top that actually worked really well. They also had a great bourbon selection, which I wish I’d had more time to enjoy. The place had a fun, lively vibe and great energy. If they were better staffed, this would easily be a 5-star spot.

The food stands out—especially the Korean fried chicken, which was absolutely insane. As night falls, the venue seamlessly transforms from a quality restaurant into a buzzing nightlife destination. Bonus points for featuring excellent local beer from a nearby brewery. A must-visit for foodies and nightlife lovers alike.

We went here initially because of an Offline promotion. Most of the food and drinks here are priced high end so you will be paying double what you might normally expect. Was it worth it? For the most part yes. The food and drink is a cut above normal offerings, and i was not disappointed. The Prosciutto Fig Flatbread was my personal favorite. It was bigger than i expected and the flavor was so good. It was salty, sweet, and tangy goodness. I would come back for that. The other offerings were nice but a bit too small to satisfy by themselves. I could eat the bread bites all night! Overall I would come here for special occasions as without the offline discount, 2 cocktails and 4 sides came out to roughly 99$ before tax and tip. Definitely worth it to end a special night.

We went during the happy hour and we loved the drink menu and food menu. We ordered deviled eggs, tenderloin empanada and grilled ribeye (the crispy potatoes had truffle oil in it 💙). Everything was seasoned perfectly. At first, I was skeptical about the food because I have read old Google reviews saying the food was bland and not good. I was proven wrong this time. For the price, creativity and flavor, it was just perfect. I also enjoyed my $5 sangria. 🍸 Service could be better. It didn't look like the place was packed but the server didn't come quickly enough to get our drinks at first or even serve water.

I stopped by twice. I liked this place that much! Excellent and super friendly staff 👏 Emily, Dominc, Kari, Baylor and Kevin were all outstanding. Great rooftop views with plenty of seating. The food is good and the drinks are delicious Overall a great vibe. I will definitely return!

We had a pleasure of attend Vaso's Rooftop Pumpkin patch event, it was an absolutely fabulous evening! Tasteful fall decor, autumn themed cocktails, delicious snacks, beautiful view of sunset and Scioto river. Gretchen made our experience truly enjoyable. She was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We are really looking forward to coming back to Vaso for special occasions and casual cocktail outings.

A small but great downtown park with a big lawn in Columbus. Outside concerts and light shows are sometimes held here. There is also a large and pretty Christmas tree during Christmas time.

As a life long Columbus resident I remember city center mall. This park has given me many great memories. I love that it incorporates music, lights, food trucks, fitness and even movie nights. I have spent many nights with my wife enjoying a activity and looking up at the night sky while the city lights brighten up the night. I always recommend visitors to go and enjoy what Columbus Commons have to offer.

This was our first time here. Went for a FREE Dead Revival concert! The band was awesome as always!! The venue is amazing! Then I learned EVERYTHING they do there is free!! This is a wonderful area for our community. We look forward to going back. Didn't even get to check out the whole place. Really enjoyed their signature cocktail! The Commons Cocktail. I recommend it!

We came here on a Fri night and took some pictures/videos. This was when it was dead and not many people around. I wished they had food open to help draw in more people. We came back on Saturday night and it was packed. It was like the whole city came out. There was free hot chocolate, food, and small shops. Also, they turned on more lights, Santa Claus was there to take pictures with, and the carousel was on.

Watershed Distillery is a standout bar-restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, known for its excellent food and creative drink menu. The distillery offers tours of their Grandview location several days a week, followed by the opportunity to enjoy dinner and drinks at Watershed Kitchen & Bar. Their cocktail menu is particularly noteworthy, featuring a great selection of both alcoholic and zero-proof cocktails with fun themes. Visitors can also expect excellent service during their experience at Watershed Distillery.
Came here for dinner and to pick up a few bottles. You’re able to do tastings up front prior to buying any alcohol which was really nice. As for dinner, there were plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options. If I remember correctly, there were a few vegan options (other than just salads). We had a great time and the food was very good!

Watershed Distillery is an absolute delight, especially new cocktail menu. The Dystopian Dream (whiskey base) and Barrel Aged Old Fashioned were both robust and delightful. Had a great time sitting with Johnathan and learning about all the new things Watershed is working on. A great pit-stop for crafted cocktails and post work happy hours. Michael’s tour is S tier and an incredible (dad-joke filled) experience! If you're looking for a great afternoon filled with fantastic drinks and engaging stories, Watershed Distillery should be at the top of your list!

Joe was an absolutely phenomenal tour guide. The experience felt otherworldly, and we had the most incredible time. I left with so many new favorites and can’t wait to return—this time bringing friends and family to share the magic.
Donia A — Google review
I give the tour 5 stars, but not the restaurant. The tour guide was awesome. You get enough samples of gin, bourbon, and brandy, plus learn about the process. The food at the restaurant was okay and I didn't care for their cocktails. I don't know if my taste buds were off because I had 10 or 11 samples of gin, bourbon, and brandy. The toliet in the women's restroom was nasty, it hadn't been clean.

I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday and it was an amazing experience!! We took a tour, then had a reservation for dinner. Everyone went above and beyond!! Joe was our tour guide and he was AWESOME! Very knowledgeable, professional, but laid back and fun! He was great at describing the different notes of each tasting! Before this tasting, i thought I hated Gin and when I left, I can confidently say, I thoroughly enjoy Watershed Gin! Then, we arrived to our reservation about 20 minutes early but they still sat us right away. NOW LISTEN... this was THE BEST food and drinks I've ever had in my life!! I was shocked at the depth of flavors in both the drinks and food!! I cannot stress this enough! I love trying new restaurants and have eaten at plenty of high end establishments, and this experience will make me dream of this place until we go back!! To top it off, I had noted on my reservation that I would love to have my bf's drink served in one of their glasses for him to keep (obviously I'd pay for it!), not knowing if it was possible or they'd even notice the request. Not only did they bring him a glass, they said it was on the house!! While also having a candle in his dessert AND giving us each a free nocino shot!!! I was floored!! Upon leaving, we stopped to pick out a bottle to buy. The woman at the counter told us about a special release flavor that was currently for sale, with a select amount of bottles and offered a tasting. It was fantastic, so we bought a bottle! (Major props to her, because she totally made that sale!! We would've left with a $40 bottle and she got us to spend $110 just by offering it, and being knowledgeable and personable!) Long winded, but I seriously can't praise this place enough!! The tour with Joe was entertaining, informative, and gave me a huge appreciation for Watershed!! Then the dinner was its own wonderful experience! The serve was effieicent and our server, Ron, brought us things before we even knew we needed them! These people work their butts off and truly have a passion for their jobs and their customers! I will gladly spend my time and money there! 😊

Decided to book a tour for my boyfriend's birthday, since he is really into bourbon. It did not disappoint! We had a great time. Loved our tour guide Joe. He made everyone feel comfortable, very knowledgeable, professional and fun. I love the variety of tastings. You get a lot more than other places offer, when it comes to the tastings. Will be coming back and have also already recommended friends and family. Thank you watershed for a great experience on a special day.

Great retro games awesome bartender who made us a custom shot. LOVE that it's free to play if you have a drink!!! 10/10

Pretty cool little barcade with a good amount of classics. Games are free with a purchase. Marble madness, frogger, pacman, tmnt, klax, tons, centipede of stuff for the small size of the bar. They have a few of those consoles where it has preloaded games. Think somethings wrong with the sega controllers because it was glitching bad, but super fun to play road rash, streets of rage, it's got a full loadout. I think there's an sns and there was another console but I didn't see what it was. Draft selection was fair and service was alright. Altogether if you're into arcades I recommend this little place.
H — Google review
It was pretty dead when we got there, but honestly I was excited about that as it gave us free rein. Drink concepts were pretty funny… like the Hulk Hogan or the Carrie Fisher. We had some under 21 year olds with us, but they are okay accompanied by someone 18+ until 9pm. After the initial excitement wore off, several of the machines weren’t working which was a bit of a bummer. If you want to play pinball, you have to pay for those unlike the arcade games which are free with drinks. (Kinda like Vegas😂). It was a fun experience overall and would probably go back.

I was super excited to check this place out. I love the concept but sadly me and my friend were charged then recharged a different price for our drinks. My drink went from $10.75 to $13.57! My friends went from $11 to $16! My drink was weak. I never felt anything. First time I have EVER experienced this. Then some people brought in some rowdy kids on site. The place isn't that big. The fact someone brought in young children running around and screaming was just too much. Lord can adults for once have a place like this to ourselves 🤷🏾‍♀️ They do have a great selection of classic games.

I've actually been here twice but it's always such a fun experience. We went tonight and it was not packed like it was the last time so we were able to play smash bros on the Nintendo. They have a lot of games to choose from and some behind the bar. I got the game over (which comes with a free glass) & and a hulk Hogan which comes with a popsicle in it, everyone I was with was so excited just to be there. Always a good time ❤️

What an ABSOLUTE GEM!!! The restaurant gives off a charming yet cozy feel, with moody dim lighting and a big crackling fireplace in the center of the dining room that makes you feel at home🤎 we also had the most incredible and accommodating server, shoutout to Jay who hand wrote his favorite Columbus foodie recommendations out for us since we’re new to the area!!! NOW ONTO DINNER: the iron skillet cheddar biscuits are an absolute must!! Served warm and brushed with salted better, they’re just delicious👌🏽followed by the grilled artichokes served with an excellent creamy remoulade!! We also ordered the Hollywood Salad and the Barbequte pork ribs- the meat was fall of the bone tender and the coleslaw + fries complemented the dish perfectly!! I've been for multiple occasions- large group, date, solo. Each time is a very pleasant experience. The staff is friendly- special shout out to Georgia. The Atmosphere is classy yet comfortable. I honestly can't remember what all I've eaten but I know I like to tuna. It was my first experience with fresh tuna outside of sushi, different but good. Ive had the pimento cheese and remember it tasting better than expected, generally not my thing.. In love with the biscuits I get those regularly even when I don't eat in. Most recently I dined for lunch & tried to Mexi Cali steak salad which was good. IT'S HUGE. Needed salt and pepper but the ingredients were fresh. Liked the addition of charred biscuit pieces even though a some were too burnt. For the price, I think the steak portion could be bigger. I also tried the Spritz mocktail -can't remember the exact name, but it reminded me of Christmas/ winter season. Overall I would recommend. They have lunch and happy hour specials as well.

Took my wife here for our anniversary and it was great! The happy hour had a decent discount, but the complimentary biscuits were the reason to get excited. Drinks were balanced and tasted good. Dinner and apps were great, as you’d expect from a Cameron Mitchell joint. Star of the show was our server Ben F! Took great care of us and really kept up with us and made it a great anniversary dinner. Will be coming back.

First let me say the atmosphere is very nice. Love the trendy "Grandview vibe" as always. We had reservations for a birthday party. The tables were pretty much ready on time but they were set up awkwardly but we managed to make it work. Here is my complaints. We literally had to wait 40 minutes just to receive our drinks. That was in my opinion a long time. Only four adults received bar drinks. These are not cheap drinks $16 and up. My daughter actually was just about to go to the bar and get one there! So the drinks finally arrived. Next we ordered our selections of entrees . This was a party of thirteen people. Nothing too elaborate. Now I understand the fact that its a Friday evening and its busy however we waited another hour for our food. Unacceptable. We had several young adults with us who as we all know have little patience when they are hungry. I hated that this birthday party experience was somewhat stressful for all the guests. I did enjoy my entree when it finally arrived. The prices are rather expensive but the quality is there. You pretty much are forced to use the Valet parking however its the cheapest price tag there!

I’ve been to Third and Hollywood many times over the years and it is tried and true. I always come here for a special event, a business dinner or a birthday because the quality of the food is reliable and the service is generally great. The ambiance is also comfortable, it’s not pretentious but still nice and upbeat. The restaurant offers valet parking for $5, definitely use this as it can be a pain to find parking in the area! Tonight we started with the cheddar biscuits- a must! These are sometimes free or discounted during happy hour and they are incredible (but everything here is really good), I usually only get an order of 3 ($5) to save room for other things! We also got a house made ginger ale (very good with a nice amount of ginger) an aerol spritz and a brut champagne with dinner. Alcohol is roughly $12 a glass, the ginger ale was $5. The Little Gem Caesar ($14) is incredible, dressed perfectly with big chunky croutons which are to die for! For mains I often get the chicken ($34), it is always juicy and it’s served with croutons (just as delicious as with the Caesar salad) and arugula and the bitterness really balances out the dish. My dining partner got the Hanger Streak ($47) which has a delicious marinated and a tasty bean/corn dip on the side. For dessert they always give complimentary small cookies. I always look forward to these. They are a little salty but so good and just a small bite. We also ordered the pot de crème ($12) which was silky, smooth and a little salty too- really well balanced especially with the homemade whip crème! Overall an incredible meal, will definitely return again and again. Came back June 2024 for a business lunch very excellent service and food and the patio was open. Gotta get the biscuits! Came back May 2025 for a business dinner. Service is even better than before. Ordered the same classic dishes which were all excellent. Got the seasonal strawberry shortcake and it was delicious, as well as the pit de crème (which is one of my favorite desserts in Columbus!)

Ginger Rabbit Jazz Lounge is a sophisticated and romantic spot tucked away in Columbus' Short North. It offers live jazz performances throughout the week, creating a perfect setting for a glamorous night out. The signature cocktail, The Ginger Rabbit, is a must-try with its blend of gin, Manzanilla, lemon juice, ginger syrup, carrot juice, and bitters.
Love this place! Cool jazz environment with echoes back to the early days. Sit back with drinks, date, and hors d'oeuvres to the sounds of chill jazz music that will cause one to drift away. Servers were ever present. Cocktails were great! We had olives, pita and hummus with our drinks. Reserve your private table online, then show up on time.

I ordered a light fare, hummus and pita, to accompany my drink. The snack was okay. Nothing memorable but costly. The drink was good, though. It wasn't too strong, nor was it weak. I can't recall the name of the cocktail. I enjoyed myself but the high cost to see a show and difficulty with finding parking makes me say this is a pass for me. There are 2 other jazz spots if go to fire the music and ambiance. But I love Cbus has the variety of 5 jazz spots.

Great option for a date night in the Short North. The venue is intimate and eclectic, the menu is light and focused on shareables, with lots of cocktails available. We went to the later show before capping the night at the rooftop bar at the Hilton. Fabulous evening.

Saw a friend performing a sold out show - fantastic ambiance, reminiscent of jazz clubs in Poland. Would highly recommend the Burly Words cocktail. Will be going again ASAP.
Marshall K — Google review
This is a fantastic cozy place to catch live jazz and they have a great gin bar. While they do serve food, check the most recent menu carefully, as few people I know like the menu. Sadly the menu tries harder than it should to be "elevated" and has too much of a seafood appetizer focus. Don't rely on the photos of the menu on Google as the menu has changed, and not for the better. This place would be top notch if there were a few crowd pleasing menu items so you could get an appealing snack while taking in the show. You'll need reservations and tickets for the show. The bar seating is not particularly comfortable or facing the right way to take in the show, so I avoid that. Also the 4 seater couch closest to the stage on your right has a partially blocked view of the stage. The rest of the seating all works well. The service is always good and my drinks are typically strong. Guests under 21 are not permitted, which is understandable, but a shame it can't be relaxed to 18 with a parent. The venue is in a basement but it's well appointed and you'll forget it's a basement quickly. The small size makes the shows feel particularly intimate.
Jonathan Z — Google review
Went for the first time to celebrate my birthday. I had trouble making an online reservation (not necessarily their fault, I think my cruddy laptop was glitching) so I emailed them. Patrick reserved a table for me with a wonderful view. These intimate tables for two that are closer to the stage have the most comfortable, plush chairs - the kind where the back wraps all the way around the seat and you're enveloped. There are stools at the bar, and the wall seating was a bench that probably went all the way across, but also had plush cushioning and some curtains for segmentation and ambiance. Bathrooms are easily accessible and close enough you can still hear the music. Waitstaff buzz about to appease the audience, but somehow never distract from the show. Food is limited, and what they have is very good, but a little pricey. I enjoyed Sicilian olives and Spanish almonds with my Cosmopolitans, and later ordered some salmon toasts - all were delicious. Since my husband was driving, he stuck to Sprite and a lobster roll. The music! We loved the Robert Dove Quintet. As a former musician, I feel confident in saying they were very skilled. As a human, I will tell you they produce joy. My foot, hand, or head was barely still the entire show and I was so impressed by the 17 yr old keyboarder that I asked to give him a hug after the show. We went for the early seating. Reservations are assigned seating times, so that there's no bottleneck in such a small space. We were one of the first to arrive for our showtime, which meant I got all the cocktail attention I could desire, and she wished me HBD. When we left, the folks for the later seating were packed down the staircase: this is a perfect date night spot.

I had such a blast here! I lived in Columbus for a little over a year and came here frequently. It’s a stones throw way from land grant brewery and is in a really fun area. Staff is friendly and helpful. It’s self instructional projects but they assist when needed. Would definitely recommend checking out!

KELLY! 👏🏼 My husband, a friend and I went to Makers Social last night. Kelly welcomed us immediately and checked us in as a walk in. Kelly was very patient with us as we took our sweet time trying to decide what project we even wanted to do. It was pouring rain outside and several people on the sidewalk came inside for cover from the rain, Kelly greeted them with kindness and even brought a towel out to help a lady who was soaking wet, to help her dry off. After the storm was over, multiple groups of people were coming in and the place was BUSY! Kelly handled the influx of customers with ease, she had mentioned that someone called in sick, usually at this time of day there would be 2 people able to help customers and she said she appreciated our patience. Kelly was amazing at navigating this situation. She remained positive and professional while taking customer orders, making drinks, serving drinks & food, and helping at least 7 different groups of people with their projects as needed. We had a great experience and will be back!

Had a great time here! The atmosphere is fun, upbeat, and very approachable—perfect for both first-timers and regulars. There’s a wide variety of activities to choose from, with options for all skill levels and timeframes, which makes it easy to jump in and enjoy. The drinks were delicious—slightly on the higher end price-wise, but still reasonable for the quality. The music could use a bit more variety, but the overall vibe more than makes up for it. Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and even the bathrooms were clean and had candles lit, which was a nice touch. Perfect spot for a date night or a fun evening out with friends!

We live in Hudson and came for my husbands 60th. Kelly and her partner were so very helpful and bubbly. It was a busy day and they kept everything flowing so nicely. We started with really good cocktails, picked our project~ so many to choose from!! We love arts and crafts, but you don’t have to be Bob Ross to have a good time here!! I did two planters and he did the flask. my husband had a blast and so did I. Will be back with friends.

I got to paint an amazing Charcuterie board. As a person who isn’t very creative I felt pretty overwhelmed. Kelly was amazing and helped me make it turn out amazing. Not to mention she was a great host and even let us pick the music we liked . This place is such a vibe. I can’t wait to come back!

Experience an unforgettable evening at The Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Dinner Show in Columbus, Ohio. This unique date night idea offers an immersive and interactive comedy murder mystery dinner theater experience. As the largest of its kind in the country, this show features actors blending into the audience and even joining your table. Enjoy a delicious dinner while engaging with the entertaining cast as they weave a thrilling mystery for you to solve.
Awesome performance, absolutely a fun experience, and (not to toot my own horn) I WON! They definitely made the case tough to solve but still gave us enough clues and suspicious characters to figure it out. Will definitely come back again!
Timothy F — Google review
I recently attended The Dinner Detective Murder Dinner Show and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The event was quite confusing, making it challenging to fully immerse myself in the interactive murder mystery. Moreover, the audio quality was subpar, and I often struggled to hear the actors' dialogue, which made it even harder to follow the clues and solve the mystery. On the culinary front, I must express my disappointment with the chicken dish provided. It was disappointingly bland and lacked seasoning, especially a much-needed sprinkle of salt. The lackluster flavor diminished the overall enjoyment of the meal. In terms of the beverage selection, I found the drinks to be overpriced. While I understand that event venues often have higher prices, the discrepancy between the quality and the cost was significant. It would have been more satisfactory if the pricing were more reasonable. Additionally, the parking fee of $20 was excessive and seemed disproportionate to the overall experience offered. It would be beneficial if the venue reconsidered the parking charges to make it more reasonable and accessible for patrons. In summary, The Dinner Detective Murder Dinner Show fell short of my expectations. The confusion, audio issues, flavorless chicken dish, overpriced drinks, and expensive parking collectively diminished the overall experience. I hope that the organizers take this feedback constructively to improve future events.

Definitely not for shy people. It was fun collaborating with others at our table but it was very confusing. Reports on the qr code didn't match what was going on. The dinner show guests had some great code names.
Cori P — Google review
We had an enjoyable evening, but I think that was due more to the comradery of our party and less the Mystery Dinner itself... The idea of solving a mystery based on actual case files sounds great in theory, but it was presented in such a confusing manner that even when you found out "whodunit", you were still left scratching your head. 90% of the evening was interaction with other players. Common for a mystery dinner, but confusing as heck with 60-70 people. The "acting" was all improv, and when the actors weren't yelling at the top of their lungs, they were difficult to hear, which made following the storyline difficult at best. Oftentimes the actor's efforts were spent more on trying to be humorous than relaying information needed to solve the mystery. The food was edible - the chicken was typical buffet fare, and the beef varied wildly in doneness from one steak to the next. I'm sure the glamorous Hyatt venue contributed greatly to the cost of our ticket prices, but considering the quality of the dinner and show, they still seem overpriced.

My husband took me for my birthday on 12/02/2023. It was $60 dollars a person. So I was expecting really good food. We got to Hilton and we paid $25 dollars to park for 2 hours. We got to the dinner and went to get a drink. The miller lite was 7.50 and a can of coke 7.00. So I stayed with water. The salad was really good but small. The rolls and butter was the best part of the food. We got an appetizer. It was a small egg roll and a 1 pot sticker. We both ordered chicken. They brought out 2 pieces of chicken with no flavor. I’m pretty sure they served rice-a-roni and 2 pieces of Broccoli. Worst money we spent. The server’s never smiled and we didn’t stay til the end.
Tia — Google review
I should have known something was awry when the dress code was so laxed. There were no mics, so there was a lot of yelling. There was slapstick comedy that wasn't good. The costumes..... oh there were no costumes, mood music/lighting to set the scenes? None of that either. The food was OK, the drinks were very light. I had great company in my wife and new and old friends so we made it work. Don't waste your money if you are looking for a professional experience.
Michael C — Google review
Such a fun night! Great for a date night. The way they integrate the food service with the show is so well executed. The actors are hilarious. And the food was better than I was expecting. It was fun to engage with the others at our table. A truly unqiue experience if you are willing to be interactive and play along! Highly recommended.
Rose S — Google review
This was a anniversary gift, and talk about a amazing gift! The food was pretty good, but the show was awesome! I loved getting to mingle with my table, and all the other guests! The actors were great, and funny, but didn't take them selves too seriously. It was as much comedy as drama and I loved it! The story was very good, they did enough to make it solvable, but it wasn't super obvious and I know half the room didn't get it! Will be going back 100%!!

With over 60 challenging elements spread across the parklands, visitors can enjoy an adrenaline-pumping experience. The guided multi-zipline tour takes you through the stunning Ohio treetops for an unforgettable adventure.
We went for the first time and loved it! The staff were all wonderful! Very knowledgeable and it was obvious safety was of their utmost concern. We did the adventure park with 3 girls ages 8, 10, and 11. We didn’t realize how easy it was to split up so the older kids and one adult went on one course and the younger and one adult went another and then we could meet up after each course. It was definitely a challenge for us adults (who aren’t as in shape as we could be) while the lightweight kids just breezed through a lot. Now we all really want to do the zipline tour. Highly recommend!

Today was such a fun experience when zip lining and our amazing guides Reece and sam made the the experience 100 time better. They did such an amazing job helping us through the course and I am so glad that they were our guides. Thank you for a time to remember.

What a hidden gem!!! I normally have trouble finding nice places to go when we have visitors, or when we want to celebrate a special date like Father's day. ZipZone is for sure going into my list of "it" places. Open, clean, safe, fun. They have a small course for kids up to 7 years, and 7+ can go with the adults into a higher rope course. Love it! We are already planning our son's birthday party next year here!

Omg, this place was awesome! We came all the way from New Mexico for vacation with 3 teenage boys to do both the adventure park and the zip line. Trying to find things that will keep boys entertained and wear them out is a challenge, but this place did just that! They loved it! We all loved it! If you're afraid of heights put your big girl/ boy pants on because all you've got is a wireline keeping you from hitting the ground. You're gonna need a little bit of muscle too. I admit I don't have much muscle but I made it through the 2nd to hardest course, with a whole lot of courage. My boys made it through all of them and in the end, they were out for the count! Im so happy I found this place, it was worth every cent, the staff were super friendly and funny as well. It just sucks there's nothing like this were I live.

Ohio Stadium, affectionately referred to as "The Horseshoe," is a historic gem nestled in the heart of Columbus, Ohio. This iconic venue serves as the proud home of the Ohio State Buckeyes football team and has become synonymous with college football culture. Designed by Howard Dwight Smith, it stands out as one of the earliest concrete stadiums, showcasing its unique horseshoe shape that fans adore.
Every trip to this place is more memorable and fun than the last! It was super easy to get in, and getting food and drinks was no problem. I love the setup that there are refill stations as that makes getting drinks faster. It was my wife's first game, so it was a perfect weather day and fans to help us enjoy! Go buckeyes!

Huge stadium, 107,000 people at the game. We were at the very top 41 rows to the top. It is steep. Everyone we met and talked were super friendly from workers to fans. Thank God for the bicycle people taking you from the parking lot to and from game. Cost 25 a person. Worth every bit of the hundred spent. Plenty of rest rooms and there are elevators if you don't want to walk up the very many flights of stairs to get to your section.

The casino has slot and video poker machines as well as blackjack tables, making it the perfect place to spend some time. The location also offers a wide range of dining options, including a steakhouse and buffet, which makes it the perfect place to catch a show or dinner.
I moved to Columbus recently and on Friday night I was bored and had no plans so I visited the casino. The have a decent poker room , and the roulette was good too. I don’t play anything else but they have plenty of options , and the atmosphere is good and the employees were good too in my personal experience.

Gorgeous exterior with ample parking. Landscape is kept up with. Lighting experience is great throughout. Gaming experience is decent. Note, when we went, there was quite a bit of downed machines. But, it was Labor Day weekend and it was busy. The slot game variety was lacking a bit. We love a variety of different slot style games. There's a lot of the digital screen games, but not a good mixture of the game types. Digital slot games seem to be on the higher end per play, with fewer sub $0.40. Food variety is nice. There's an abundance of tables. We do wish that there was black jack with a live dealer and play throughs via the digital kiosks.

I’ve went here in the past and enjoyed live music on a stage but the remodeled and put an espn area bar in you can gamble but there’s no entrainment unless it’s a ticketed event so sad also the dinner buffet is gone. It’s nice to see concerts here but the should really put an investment in and build a concert venue they have the land and space and could really draw more people. The concert area is a convention room. The casino could really use some updating

It was my wife and I's first time ever being in a casino. And HC IS NOT friendly to people who don't know what they're doing. We were there over 2 hours before someone told us that we needed cash to play slot machines. But that was only after I had to make a big spectacle because the security guard with the long dark pony tail and glasses couldn't tell me anything. When I asked for his boss, he WOULD NOT answer whether he called for help or not. He was ignorant, didn't know how to handle customers at all. I had to make a scene so SOMEBODY IN CHARGE could come address my problems. I'm appalled that the place is still in business with their employees' sorry attitudes. I won't be back. But I've been spreading the word about how shitty the staff there are. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

BEWARE!!!!! What a disaster!! Traveling the US Read about this casino Drove an extra 2 hrs to get here AND spent over an hour or more trying to get a players card The first person told us to go into the bathroom to get the internet for better service than at the desk After long frustrating period of time in the lobby and bathroom Back to the desk A Trainee helped and everything Worked!!! After another 10-15 mins --Extremely complicated process -- NO ONE knew how to put in a postal code that wasn't a ZIP code Even the Manager said we Have to have an American address I asked what they do for people that come from ANY foreign country Met with silence and blank stares We are Canadian!!!! We are heading to Vegas had have cards there and in several OTHER States but not Ohio-- first time-- A total waste of time Shocked by the total incompetence at this Casino

Water & Amusement Parks
Zoombezi Bay is a thrilling water park located next to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, offering a perfect blend of refreshing water attractions and spooky, zombie-themed experiences. The park features a giant pool, raft slides, high-speed mat races, lazy rivers, and more. In addition to its water rides, Zoombezi Bay also boasts haunted houses and scare zones for horror enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy non-water rides like the Sea Dragon roller coaster as well.
I enjoyed my time there. Kid and adult friendly. Parking only $10 and they have all day rental lockers for an affordable rate. I do recommend wearing water shoes to avoid walking barefoot on high traffic wet areas. It is first come first serve for the tubes at the lazy river but still very enjoyable. They have a “fast pass” option which I thought was nice. Drinks were a little pricey, but they do hand out water cups to make sure everyone is staying hydrated. I thought the burger and fry meal was reasonably priced. You can also bring your own food, get stamped, go out to your car and eat, and come back at no fee. All and all I will definitely go again! Super easy to get to as well!
Darion — Google review
We had a great time. We got there when the park opened and rented a 21+ lounger space on the same day, but they do advise to book in advance online. For reserved padded lounge chairs in the semi private shade, access to the wait staff and a safe large enough to fit a large shoulder bag, we felt that the $100 fee was worth it. Since a large locker is $22 already. And since we also came in from out of town, the day use of towels included with the lounge rental were a nice bonus. The staff running the bar in that area were friendly and helpful. I would also advise to go to the left side of the parking lot when you arrive for close access to the Zoombezi entrance. If you follow the masses, you are going to end up on the zoo side with a considerable walk ahead of you. Take sunscreen. If this is the one thing you forget, the standard 6oz size spray is $30 on site. 30-40oz of heavily tequila laden margaritas is cheaper than 6oz of sunscreen here.

We went on weekend and it was super crowded. They have lots of fun things for kids and plenty of seating area. There’s no shade on rides. They have separate sheds for seating but you have to reserve them and they charge a lot for those “Cabanas”. It’s worth money if you’re someone who doesn’t mind going to overcrowded places.

Cashless isn't always convenient. Especially for a young person working and having cash they can't spend or having to purchase a card to purchase some over priced and mediocre food. Our pizza was overpriced and was terrible. Pool was shut down nobody knew why I don't know just filled on the organized

Cool place for kids. Def worth it to get the annual gold pass with free parking if you live close by and will visit often. Bring food and drinks, expensive and not that great inside.
Andrew F — Google review
It was a lot of fun. The best of all is that there were not many people and we could enjoy all the attractions without queuing.
Nathaly M — Google review
Going to this waterpark was an enjoyable experience. The waterslides were very enjoyable, and take a long time to become monotonous. The amount of time it takes to get into the park is almost never long, and the lines within the park itself are unlikely to get unbearably massive (relative to the experience of the installations). A problem with this place is the difficulty to have a pleasant experience when entering the park even an hour or two past opening. However, I would still recommend this place for anyone who wishes to have a fun time at a water park in the area.

Schiller Park, located in the charming German Village neighborhood just south of downtown Columbus, is a historic green space with a rich cultural heritage. Originally established in the mid-1800s and later renamed after the renowned German poet Friedrich Schiller, the park offers various attractions such as a fishing pond, playground, tennis courts, and a stage for outdoor shows. The area also features traces of German-American culture, including spots like Schmidts sausage haus and a bronze statue of Friedrich Schiller.
One of my favorite parks in the city. It’s great for people watching and enjoying the many dogs our residents have. I always make a new friend when I’m here. The squirrels let people get awfully close too! Mind the north center of the park when it’s heavily rained as it will flood!

I liked Schiller park a lot! There’s so much greenery and the pond with artwork installed around is so beautiful! There are so many geese near the pond. The park wasn’t very crowded when I visited. They have lots of seating area in the park. There were a few monuments in the park too. The theater in the park really stood out to me! I wish I could have seen the Shakespeare play at the theatre. The combination of excellent facilities, beautiful natural features, and strong community programming makes it a true asset to German Village. Perfect for: Daily dog walking, morning exercise, family recreation, community events, pickleball/tennis enthusiasts Would I recommend? Absolutely! This is a model for how urban parks should be maintained and programmed.

Pretty little park! The waterfall was stunning and we saw a family of ducks! Not pictured but we also saw crayfish down in the river. They keep it nice and clean and natural.

I loved the boardwalk upon arrival. The leaves falling gave it the perfect fall touch. The boardwalk was short and scenic but I was a bit sad when we saw no waterfall. I saw on tik tok that if it hasn’t rained you went see a waterfall but I was just passing through the state so out of curiosity wanted to take a peek. If I ever come back to Ohio I’ll be sure to check it out again and hopefully there will be a waterfall. Otherwise very nice scene stop. There’s also a river you can look at if you walk over to it on the bridge looking walk way .also the parking lot is. Wei small . Maybe can fit 6-8 cars . We went at 10 am and there was only 1 car

Cute 5 minute trail, some good picture opportunities if there's not too much trash in the stream. Easy for kids, definitely don't suggest for the disabled (lots of steps). Parking can be a huge pain, there are not many steps. Use whatever luck you have, because there are not many convenient spots to park nearby and walk if the lot is full. There is a nearby garden center that you may one day be able to park at and walk to the park, but as of July 2025 there is construction in that area and most of the walking paths are completely blocked off.

Pretty park, waterfall dried up unfortunately but its pretty! Very small trail; can be walked in 10 minutes or less. If youre looking for a short trip, stop by!
Hunter L — Google review
Cute little walk, lovely foliage. The fall was dry when we went, but we will be back again after some rain.
Leah D — Google review
The falls were easy to get to and clean unfortunately it hasn't rained for 3 weeks, so the falls were falls no more, but a short comfortable walk in nature surprisingly in the middle of a very populated community
Missy — Google review
From the parking lot there is a steep flight of steps if you aren't active it may be a little harder for you, once down to the waterfall it's a super cool hangout to bring chairs and look around the rocks and water. Found a turtle, snake, fish and crawdads so pretty active wildlife for the area

Beautiful and short trail. Even though it rained the last couple of days I expected a trickle, but there was NO falls to see today...

Goodale Park, established in 1851, is the oldest public park in Columbus and one of the oldest in the country. Surrounded by Victorian homes, this historic park offers picturesque skyline views and a serene atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy various amenities such as tennis courts, a playground, picnic areas, and a gazebo. The lush greenery and a charming duck-filled pond with a fountain make it an ideal spot for leisurely strolls or family outings.
This was my first time visiting Goodale Park, and it is an amazing place! There are lots of seating areas, which make it perfect for a picnic spot. The lake is beautiful, covered with water lilies, and I even saw plenty of dragonflies fluttering around. The elephant fountain is wonderful — I loved watching the water stream out of the elephants’ trunks. I also noticed some park benches with built-in chessboards. If I had brought chess pieces, I would have loved to sit and play a game there. There are also plenty of walking paths, making it a great place to stroll and relax. A perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature in the city.

It’s a nice park, it was our go to place 25 years ago. Now you better keep your eyes open and all belongings near you at all times. The park has a high homeless population that isn’t shy about approaching anyone. Events there are a cluster. The park has outgrown itself and there isn’t enough room or parking for what’s going on to run smoothly or in an organized manner.

Beautiful park with lots of paths, a pond, and a playground. I believe I saw some tennis courts too? Really enjoyed the shade and how close it is to lots of shops. Was walking distance from our hotel too!
Tess — Google review
A beautiful park to relax, admire the scenery, and walk with the dogs. You can see squirrels and ducks. The fountain is beautiful. The grass is very well-kept and the flowers are colorful.

Was in town for a day off from a trip and looking for a court to hit some balls. This free court in this beautiful park was great! Very well maintained, free and was very fulfilling!

I was here for a kickball tournament that the industry I work for was having at this park. It is a great space for outdoor activities. They even had a building that was air conditioned that we privately reserved and kept food in. That was nice to be able to utilize to escape the heat.
Alyson D — Google review
It is a very good place to spend time. I come here very often. You can sit and watch the water coming from the trunk of the baby elephants for hours without getting bored. The place makes you feel good. The ducks will be your entertainers. The park is very big. It has pickleball courts. Good for evening walks. I have seen many photoshoots at this place.

A local park in a great location. It's a backyard for many of the residents and hotel guests in the area. A square block in size Goodale Park is complete with a pond, fountain, gazebo, statuary, trees, and a small center for varied events. In June and July, there are quite a few community events held in the park. Parking available but limited although there is on-street meters and a garage nearby (not always accessible during festivals or parades). NOTE: Dogs - supervised - are allowed to run free.

The Ohio Craft Museum, also known as the Ohio Designer Craftsmen, is a must-visit for art enthusiasts and creative individuals. This vibrant destination offers free entry to its rotating exhibitions featuring various art forms such as ceramics, glasswork, and fiber art. The museum also hosts workshops and programs for artists of all ages. Additionally, visitors can purchase craft supplies while exploring the diverse techniques showcased in the exhibits.
It's small but lovely, and there's three separate rooms of gift shop. We loved it. An awesome place to pick up a gift or souvenir.

Great small museum. Has a reasonably-sized holiday craft store that takes over the entire space.

Nice free family outing - but be sure to check website for exhibits. we hit it right when there was nothing on exhibit . There is a gift shop though .
Tracie S — Google review
The craft museum is the most charming hidden gem! The winter gift sale is a wonderful opportunity to buy something pretty and unique for your loved ones while supporting the talent of local artists. I can't believe I've never visited before!

This place is a little gem in the Grandview Heights area. It's not large, but always worth a stop--interesting, unique gifts from craftsmen and women from the region. It also has rotating exhibits that are noteworthy. The art and food justice display August-September 2022 is fascinating. I didn't know what to expect but suffice it to say that the art educated powerfully. Hard to believe admission is free. They also have excellent craft camps during the summer--my daughter went one year in sixth grade and enjoyed it.
