North Market Downtown is a covered farmers' market offering a wide array of products such as flowers, produce, and handicrafts. It's also a hub for global dining options with influences from various countries like Somalia, El Salvador, Mexico, Yemen, and Vietnam. The market features over 30 vendors including butchers, bakers, grocers, and restaurants. Visitors can enjoy farm-to-table fare and innovative dishes created by talented chefs.
Definitely the best market in cbus! You can get food and goods from many different cultures like African, Italian, polish, French, Chinese, etc. The noodle bar is fantastic, great local honey, and a pretty expansive wine and beer store. Great vibes and pleasant people all around

I have visited north market to get some dinner when I was in Columbus. I went there twice actually. They have a variety of food options to consider including Jeni’s ice cream! I got some pizza and some ice cream during one visit and enjoyed the food! Specifically the ice cream! On my next visit, I got food from Hoyo’s and it was very tasty too! There is an eating area one floor above with lots of chairs and tables. It closes at 7 PM (when I went there in August), so I had to check the timing a little carefully. It was easily accessible from my hotel by walk.
Vyshnavi V — Google review
What a fantastic place! So much good food! A lovely jewelry vendor, flowers, oils, cheese! Was our first time visiting and we will be back. Nice and close parking garage. Be sure to get your receipt for parking garage from the vendor you buy from. This is good for one hour of parking. Highly recommend North Market for a bite to eat and some local shopping.
Mary C — Google review
If I could leave a higher rating i definitely would. I went there with my boyfriend for the first time and my eyes immediately lit up! The food looked absolutely amazing, the pricing was way better than I had expected. The wait time for the food wasn’t nearly as long as I had anticipated. I will definitely be going back as many times as I’m able! I recommend the Birria tacos, 3 tacos for $14! As a bonus you are able to sit and overlook the whole place!
Madisyn H — Google review
First time here; quaint little place downtown. Great for new finds of food, coffees, oils / spices, desserts. Has a variety of cuisines, there is something for everyone. Seating indoor and outdoor, perfect for a lazy weekend or to meet with friends. Parking validation offered from one of the vendors I purchased from but didn’t accept when leaving garage. This would be the only downside - which could have been a fluke. Can’t wait to go back!

Neat place. Lots of variety. Lines weren’t too long during lunch. Loved the upstairs seating. Would have liked napkins there too.
Ninette — Google review
North Market in Columbus is a foodie paradise with an amazing array of flavors and cuisines! From coffee to Italian, pho, ramen, Mexican, Indian, African, Mediterranean, and even oysters, there's something for everyone. Just a heads-up: it closes at 5 PM on Mondays, so plan accordingly! The air-conditioned space was a blessing on a hot day, although shopping options for gifts were limited—except for a great card store. I was bummed that Foxes Bagels was closed, as I've heard great things! Overall, a vibrant spot worth exploring! 🌟
Kerri F — Google review
Love this market! So many choices for food, or gifts, or whatever you crave. This reminds me of a European style market. Great place to grab a quick bite.

Museums
The Columbus Museum of Art offers a diverse range of attractions, including permanent and traveling art collections, an American cafe, and a gift shop. The museum also features kid-friendly activities like the Open Studio and thought-provoking exhibits such as Queer/Modern showcasing works by early 20th-century LGBTQ+ artists. Located on The Ohio State University's campus, visitors can explore The Wex, a creative lab and contemporary art gallery hosting innovative exhibitions like Meditation Ocean.
This is a really special place and I wish I’d had more time. The merger of the original building with new wings - so common in American museums - is really well done. The interior atrium and outside spaces are striking counterpoints to the galleries. I loved learning more about Ohioan artists. Didn’t get to try to cafe. Needed 3 hours, minimum. Glad for my 55 minutes!
Kate L — Google review
The Columbus Museum of Art is a nice spot to spend a relaxing afternoon, especially since admission is free on Sundays—which is a great bonus. There’s also free parking just across the street behind the building, which makes visiting super convenient. That said, I was slightly disappointed with the overall experience. While there were a few standout exhibits that really captured my attention, much of the artwork felt repetitive and lacked variety. I was hoping for a more diverse and engaging collection. Still, it’s worth checking out if you’re in the area—especially on a Sunday when it won’t cost you anything.
Nomadic F — Google review
My friend and I had a wonderful time at the museum. Getting there was straightforward, we just happened to accidentally miss the entrance and go to the top. It's nicely laid out with a ton of space to explore! We finished one spot and thought we were nearly done, but there were 3 more sections left for us. I enjoyed the exhibits and learned a lot about Ohio history. The attendants were helpful and the map was straightforward. I do wish there was a better sign that upstairs is mostly empty. We thought we had more to explore and we were unfortunately unable to visit the gift shop because their wifi was gone. In all it's a fun experience that I recommend people check out if they have the time.
Richard C — Google review
Beautiful building with so many awesome pieces of artwork. It has lovely garden and seating area with a restaurant serving some of the most delicious food I have ever had. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and are able to fill you in on the artists. We loved the Columbus Art museum and will definitely come visit again in the future. We got to celebrate Margaret M. Walter wings 10 year anniversary, maybe we will make it a point to go back for the 20th.
Michelle G — Google review
The Columbus Museum of Art is a space that surprises and soothes at the same time. Each gallery feels like a conversation between color, form, and emotion — from the bold pop-art numbers to the soft folds of sculptural pink, every piece invites you to pause and reflect. One work declared, “You can’t hurt me, ’cause storms can’t hurt the sky,” — a line that lingered long after I left, reminding me how art can turn pain into peace. The museum’s bright glass installation rises like a celebration of imagination, while smaller works — a violin surrounded by currency, a figure wrapped in crochet and childhood memories — speak quietly about identity, value, and memory. After exploring, I stopped by the museum café for a delicious latte, the perfect way to sit, reflect, and watch the light pour through the windows. It’s the kind of place that fills you — not just visually, but spiritually. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A must-visit in Columbus for anyone who loves art, design, or just a good cup of coffee in a beautiful space.
Kal L — Google review
I didn't visit the bulk of the museum (yet), but we saw the Capbell Quartet perform a Halloween show with the Candlelight Symphony concert series & had a great time. I definitely intend to come back for a regular visit to see the rest of the museum, but this concert space was intimate & nice, staff was very friendly & we were pleasantly surprised that parking for this event was free. The quartet were incredibly talented & very personable as well.
Floura H — Google review
A nice museum that isn’t too large to cover all in one visit. An array of work spanning different artistic periods. Mostly one of each of the artists you’d recognize (Hopper, Rockwell, the usual…) It wasn’t overly crowded either, which was nice. Enjoyed a specific exhibit: Ming Smith - August Moon, which was beautiful and a lovely nod to the words of August Wilson.
Jakob P — Google review
Very peaceful and overall design of the building is very beautiful. The A/C is set to a comfortable temperature as I glanced over the creations of master pieces created to take your mind to places where the eye can’t.

Aquarium
The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is a sprawling park located about 20 miles north of downtown, showcasing a wide variety of land and sea life. With over 10,000 animals from more than 500 species across six themed areas, visitors can enjoy hands-on experiences like the tide pool and Jack Hanna's Animal Encounters Village. The zoo also offers additional attractions such as the Wilds conservation center, Zoombezi Bay water park for summer fun, and an 18-hole Safari Golf Course.
This was the coolest zoo we've been to. The rides do cost extra but there's so much to do in the zoo that you don't need it. There's so many animals and each exhibit is meticulously planned to provide a nice space for the animal. The zoo flowed well and we really enjoyed the different sections so we knew what to expect for the animals. Great zoo and a great experience.
Rachel B — Google review
The zoo itself was great. Very enjoyable and I loved the amount of space the enclosures had for the animals. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is cuz the food is outrageous. $15 for a cheeseburger, $8 for a hotdogs. It cost us $90 just for food for a small party. Definitely pack your own lunch before your visit.
Laura M — Google review
What a great time going. The last time I was here was when I was a child and how it has grown and changed is incredible. Such a diverse choice of animals from different regions of the world. Great displays touching upon conservation, education, and the impact mankind has on wildlife. Many extras with gift shops, food choices, rides, etc. Highlights were the manatee and hyena displays.
Salt S — Google review
Our family had a great time! It was such a beautiful day to go. Not so hot, so I feel like the animals were a little more peppy. We got to see a baby elephant, a baby bear and baby monkeys. Over all a good experience!
Ashley B — Google review
Definitely get there in the morning because you’re going to need A LOT of time! The zoo is massive, we got there while there was still 2 hours to closing and barely saw 25% of it! We greatly enjoyed our time nonetheless! We went on a Friday and it wasn’t crowded, the zoo was very clean and we loved how large the enclosures were for the animals. Will definitely come back if we get the chance and spend all day there!
Lacie C — Google review
Fantastic zoo. Took our family, with kids agreed 6 to 10, 5 hours to see it all (watermark was closed for the season). Surprisingly quiet on a Fall Thursday morning which was great. They have many animals I have never seen in other zoos like wolves, wolverines, manatees, and bonobos. Attractions like feed the giraffes, VR, dinosaur ride, 4d theater are extra but a reasonable few dollars typically. If you are not a resident admission can be quite expensive. Worth it I think but you can also check the discount options on the Zoo website to ride COTA bus to the zoo and save a lot of money ($4 bus ride round-trip and $10 admission).
George B — Google review
Honestly this zoo wasn’t it for us. We’ve been to an array of zoos over the years and found this one just wasn’t what we had hoped for. While it was clean and the layout was simple we found that many animals were off exhibit and many sections of the zoo not accessible for different events . Our favorite part however was the polar bear exhibit. It was fantastic and the animals are truly spectacular. Our least favorite is paying for parking and general admission costs, we found it to be much higher than other zoos we’ve traveled too and found that since the lack of animals on display + cost had us uninterested in returning for another visit.
Heather J — Google review
This is my absolute favorite zoo so far. The wildlife is well taken care of. The aquarium is clean, beautiful, large, it's equally very amazing. The aquatic life is extremely happy. It seems all these animals have great space to be as close to real life as they can get in safety. I love Africa to see everything's so large. The restrooms are spotless. The employees are very kind and helpful. I can't say enough good about my experiences here. It's above in comparison to others I've been to in my surrounding areas. The gorillas have an amazing habitat as well as many other animals habitats there. I spend the night at a hotel so I can enjoy the entire zoo and take my time. I love the reptile building also. I can go on..

Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is a sprawling 88-acre destination featuring both indoor and outdoor art and nature exhibits, as well as lush greenhouses and beautifully landscaped grounds. The conservatory offers seasonal displays, short-term art exhibitions, and permanent indoor biomes showcasing over 400 plant species from around the globe. Notably, it houses the largest private botanical garden collection of glass works by renowned artist Dale Chihuly.
This is such a beautiful place. The gardens are beautiful. The Dale Chihuly artwork integrated throughout the conservatory area is such a treat. The Lego exhibit was fascinating. The train garden, 4 season exhibit and children's garden were interesting and fun too. The staff we interacted with were very kind. One of the best gardens I've ever been to.

What an amazing place! Came by on a warm and sunny day and were blown away by how gorgeous the grounds are. We saw staff working on stuff everywhere. As someone who has a hard time walking distances, I was pleasantly surprised to be offered an electrical scooter at no charge to help get around. The place is very large and clearly marked for what plants are where and also how to avoid staircases. Volunteers were very evident and were obviously happy to be there. Wonderful place to spend time.
Naor W — Google review
I had such a wonderful visit to the Franklin Park Conservatory! The different biomes were fascinating and made the experience both serene and educational. The bonsai exhibit was absolutely immaculate, and I was pleasantly surprised by how impressive the architecture itself was as part of the attraction. A beautiful place to spend the day and definitely worth a return trip!
Ryne T — Google review
What a beautiful place! We visited Columbus recently for a friends wedding & had time to kill before we went to the airport, so we stopped here. My boyfriend could give a rip about plants of any kind, but he humored me & we wandered around to see everything. I was in heaven! I’m a big plant lady & it was SO cool to see a lot of common houseplants grow naturally like that. If you love plants & get excited about that sorta thing like me this is a must visit! They also had a whole seasonal pumpkin/fall display set up outside to walk through which was pretty cool too. Definitely recommend!
Kate C — Google review
I felt the price was about $5 to high. However, we booked for 5:30 entry and it was still daylight and have to have the children home at a certain time so they didn’t get to see the cool stuff come to life til we left. I understand it’s a wedding venue as I got married there at Christmas time. So we missed out on seeing the Palm house. Not spooky at all. Great for kids of all ages. Just wish the prices were lower so even the kids that come from low income families could enjoy it too.
Leslie P — Google review
I haven't been to the Franklin Park Conservatory for over 40 years and my girlfriend has never been so what better way to spend our one year anniversary than to spend a day enjoying all the beautiful sights and smells😊. It was better than I remembered! I was even better at night seeing the place lit up for the Pumpkins Aglow event. I was very romantic and the smiles she had was priceless 😍
Isaac L — Google review
Attended the Cocktails at the Conservatory event Sept. 25. It was my first time visiting and the event gave me the experience of watching the amazingly well designed and maintained facility transition from day to night. It was magical. Highly recommend going at any time and check out what events they have lined up. I’m going back! They do glass blowing!

This was a great little excursion while in Columbus. The Flora is beautiful and the chihuli glass is incredible. It doesn’t take up your whole day to tour and I was happy with the amount to see.

Planetarium
Located in Columbus, Ohio, the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) is a top science museum offering interactive exhibits, working labs, planetarium shows, and a variety of hands-on science exhibits covering themes like Oceans, Gadgets, and Energy. The museum also features a Little Kidspace for younger children and a permanent American Museum of Natural History Dinosaur Gallery. Visitors can enjoy dining at the on-site cafe and restaurant or shop at the gift shop.
There are many exhibits to explore. The dinosaur & shark exhibits were great to see, as they had life size models on display & it was very informative. The Ocean exhibit was fun because you can go into a real submarine & there is an interactive water room. One of the best things about the museum is how many hands on things there are to do. It's definitely a great place for all ages.

The visit was amazing! We visited for the Unofficial Galaxies event since we are huge Star Wars fans. The event was spectacular with a ton of really insane exhibits that were mostly fan made. We were absolutely thrilled to see all of the handmade items and pieces from the films. We recommend buying tickets in advance. Also the military discount here is only $2 but still worth it.
Brad Q — Google review
Coming from out of town, looking to kill some time, it did not disappoint!Cool science center. There were tons of day camp kids running wild, but that can be expected on a weekday morning in the summer. Very cool hands on stuff for kids. The natural history exhibits were cool, along with the Town of Progress exhibit. Would definitely recommend if you are in the Columbus area.
Noah S — Google review
Wow! Just a beautiful place to take the family. The exhibits are amazing. Every time we go the Dinosaur exhibit just keeps on expanding. Just truly an amazing place and I myself learn so much. Highly recommend going especially when they change out the featured exhibits.
Chris D — Google review
This place is so worth it. For only $30 bucks we got over 3 hours of fun and useful information about the world we live in. We visited the planetarium twice for two films that were incredible and at no extra charge. You definitely can make a whole days worth out of this museum. I also enjoyed that it’s not only child oriented but also includes stuff for adults to do. Also don’t forget to check out the shows they do during the day. We got to see rats play basketball! My one and only complaint about this place is I wish there were more cool shirts in the gift shop for adults! (All the cool ones are for the kids)
Finn H — Google review
I finally made it here after knowing about it for more than 20 years and it was totally worth it. I teared up a little when I first walked i to the dinosaur room. Seriously so amazing to see. And I was in awe of the beauty in the Poseidon room. I think that might have been my favorite. An incredible experience for sure. Absolutely worth a visit!
Sarah F — Google review
While I've been a member for several years, we just had our first visit with a child and it's a much better experience. While the Pixar exhibit was a little too advanced for our 10 month old, the rest of the museum was very fun for him. The kids play space on level 2 was amazing. Water tables, vehicle and market play spaces and foam padded play areas. It's a great indoor playground that is perfect in the winter time. Despite having been there several times before we just discovered the cafeteria. While the café by the ticket area is very nice it wasn't until after we got our snacks that we realized there is a fully fledged cafeteria. Kelly was very welcoming the food really hit the spot. Absolutely worth the family pass.
Justin Z — Google review
Absolutely legendary museum that continues to impress long after you leave your childhood years behind. So much to see, do, touch, and experience! Visited the old location as a child and remembered having a blast. This is a must visit place whether you are young or young at heart!

I love the setup that there are refill stations as that makes getting drinks faster. It was my wife's first game, so it was a perfect weather day and fans to help us enjoy! Go buckeyes!

Huge stadium, 107,000 people at the game. We were at the very top 41 rows to the top. It is steep. Everyone we met and talked were super friendly from workers to fans. Thank God for the bicycle people taking you from the parking lot to and from game. Cost 25 a person. Worth every bit of the hundred spent. Plenty of rest rooms and there are elevators if you don't want to walk up the very many flights of stairs to get to your section.

Came down for my first football game. What a time, we ran over Penn State- it was great. Stadium itself is a lot of stairs. Some really good views. A lot of lines for food and drink. All the fans were great, can't wait to come back!!

Amazing Stadium ! Very well built/maintained ! My maiden game was yesterday OSU Buckeyes vs Texas Longhorns . Of all stadiums I’ve been to , The Shoe ( The Ohio Stadium is by far the best when it comes to management , views and aesthetics! The scenery and atmosphere is second to none ! A very very vibrant and awesome place to be !

As a Texas Longhorn, I was impressed with the friendliness of everyone from Ohio!! They were very welcoming and I’m sure out of respect for the great teams. If I was an Aggie I’m sure they would have kicked me out. 😂 I have been at SEVERAL outdoor events, but these fan were so loud I couldn’t hear for about 20 minutes after the game. Great place!! Very impressive!! Highly recommended!!

Great OSU game day experience from the front row of C-deck. This was a great time with friends and tickets were reasonably priced for a College Football Game. Script Ohio by the marching band at halftime was an awesome sight!

The Ohio State University is a prominent public research institution with a sprawling campus in the college town of Columbus. The city offers a mix of affordable eateries and lively bars near the campus, as well as more upscale options in areas like Easton Town Center and German Village. Columbus has a rich history shaped by German immigrants, offering diverse cultural experiences for visitors to explore. The university's main campus has been an integral part of the city for 150 years and is one of the largest in the country.
The Ohio State University campus is basically it's own city.I spent some time walking the Olentangy Trail from Lane Avenue to about King Avenue. There is a lot of construction in this area and it had quite a few detours on the trail. These detours take you into campus and gave me a different perspective other than just from the trail. Ohio State University campus is constantly changing but it still has quite a few historic sites and some impressive new ones.

I was a student here a couple of years ago and everyday was a new experience. One day I even found a new food truck that I didn't know about. But overall even if your not a student I recommend going here just for the food. Traditions at Kennedy is a good place to get food all day and its a cozy place.

We went to the George Strait concert at the football stadium. It’s a nice stadium and the concert was fantastic. We encountered a bit of a problem with parking. Some of the lots were closed and we had to park over a mile away. The seats were good and the sound was great. We enjoyed Chris Stapleton and it was so much fun. Ohio State has a pretty campus.

Wolf's Ridge Brewing is a prominent addition to the Columbus brewery scene, established in 2013 by Alan and Bob Szuter. This brewery offers an elevated American eatery with a substantial beer menu. It has gained recognition as a premier drinking and dining destination in the capital city. One of its notable offerings is the nationally-recognized Daybreak, a custom cream ale infused with Columbus' own One Line Coffee and Madagascar vanilla. Wolf's Ridge Brewing is part of BrewPigeon.
My family and I had a wonderful brunch experience at Wolf's Ridge this past Saturday. We had made reservations, which I highly recommend, as it seemed to be a popular spot. We were seated promptly and the food arrived surprisingly fast, which was a huge plus with our two little ones. They absolutely devoured the pancakes and fruit bowl – a definite kid-pleaser! My WRB Benny's were absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked and flavorful. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her meal, "Toad in the Hole,". Our waitress was attentive and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a fantastic brunch and we'll definitely be back!

Went to the tap room on a warm Sunday afternoon, and it was pretty quiet. I had never had their beer before at all, and the service was great giving me recommendations and offering samples. Service was fantastic, the beer was lovely, and I enjoyed the urban but quiet vibe outside. The patio is on an alley, so there’s not a lot of cars or commotion. Lovely.

Delicious food. Shout out to Atticus for outstanding service! Recommend the Brussels sprouts, Daybreak (Beer)- beer flight, and Cod (Special). Easy to make a reservation online, recommend to do so. They are popular and can get busy quickly.

We booked the Hickory Room at Wolf's Ridge Brewing for our wedding rehearsal dinner and welcome party and it was one of the best wedding decisions we made. The room was beautiful and their service was great! Their staff leading up to the event were very organized and communicative and the food for both our rehearsal dinner and welcome party was excellent. We had at least 75 people in there at some points and the space felt comfortable. We had a great experience with Wolf's Ridge and would recommend it for anyone looking for a rehearsal dinner, welcome party, or other event venue.

Every time I've dined at Wolf's Ridge, it has been outstanding. This latest time was no exception. We stopped in for brunch. I had the Loaded Tots. My fiance had the Toad in the Hole. We loved it all. Our server was Lexi (I hope I got that correct). She was very friendly, attentive, and provided useful recommendations for both in-house and around Columbus.

Fairly solid beer, I definitely enjoyed the Daybreak Cream Ale (one of their most popular beers). The building was honestly a bit warm and I'm not sure if they had any air conditioning on a very hot day. In any case, still a fun spot to check out.

Such an amazing brunch! My server, Atticus, was super attentive and friendly. And the food was delicious! They source a lot of their ingredients locally, and you can tell! I had the omelet with salad and it was perfect. The bloody mary was great, too. It's a very underrated brunch, go check it out!

A lively space where you can still hear the conversation at your table we enjoyed their beers with everyone in our party of 5 ordering something different. We shared small plates to start. Our favourites are the chopped salad and waffle fries. Sandwiches are tasty. The local duck was delicious and perfectly cooked accompanied by a very spicy sauce and carrots. It could have used something green and possibly some potatoes or rice. The fresh walleye special was perfectly cooked with a melange of summer squash and zucchini in a flavourful peppadew sauce, and tender baby potatoes. Did you sleep OK? I’m sorry you like your fruit is ours. I would’ve guessed they were the same just asking well you only have one more night not bad my goodness. We ended the evening with their chocolate mousse with its citrusy coconut foam/cream.

The bright and open Biergarten-esque area is a favorite among visitors, offering a vibrant atmosphere. One of the highlights is the Boozy Push Pop available in Buckeye and Orange Creamsicle flavors.
This place is wonderful. Buddy and I had a great experience here. We came in from out of town and went to this location 4 times over the course of 4 days. Ambiance, environment, food, service, drinks were all top tier. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun time. Emily our server was amazing and took care of us. We will surely stop back here if we ever return to Columbus.

The place is super cool. Love how they have the big windows where you can sit very closely and you can have the air and the atmosphere from outside and see North Short at its finest - moving, busy, modern and calm, all at once. Service was ok, nothing super special but at least they don’t stay pushing you to chose right away. But the food, I honestly had more expectations, specially the grilled cheese. Would hope to have more cheese, more robust. Meat tasted delicious but lacked body, felt like someone was just saving cheese. Not sure if I’ll come back again though, maybe to try wings I guess.

Nice bar to attend, plenty of space, lots of TVs for sports, they also serve food here. We always sit near the front of the bar where it's open to the outside. After being rejected from Townhall this was a decent place to come with good music.

Great selection of draft and bottled beers. The place is really big and the bar goes all the way from the entrance to the back of the place. The staff were really friendly. The short rib nachos were good but the burger was cold and the bread wasn’t toasted it lacked some love.

I came to this location for the first time for a going away party and I was pleasantly surprised by the depth and atmosphere in Downtown Columbus, OH! I actually worked at the 111 N. 4th Street, building for Ameritech and I was so glad to see that this surprisingly spacious location existed! It was clean, well organized, when we got ready for Duckpin Bowling! The shortened lanes were an unexpected added bonus! My friends and I had the best time! This is a location that I would choose to go to again and again. Mishele, the bartender/mixologist, helped me craft an amazing drink, but more importantly, her customer service made my evening! I was looking at the drink menu and it was awesome, especially for Beer enthusiasts, but I had my taste buds set on certain ingredients, but I didn’t know how to create a cocktail out of it. She patiently answered and asked questions to arrive at a pleasantly surprising Cocktail, that gave me a better than expected experience! I have been to the other Columbus locations, but I love this set up and I will definitely be returning with friends in tow.

Had an extraordinary time. So did everybody in our group. They had some iconic pinballs machines. A few old-time video games. Awesome miniature bowling. Two lovely patios. One patio with adult swings and outside activities such as giant Jenga. All the stuff was very friendly. The drinks were delicious. Expensive but what is it. Truly can't wait to get back again. They do not have food but they do allow outside food. And provides food trucks most weekends

We enjoy the space here. Although it can get a little over crowded on the right night. There are food trucks outside and Goody Boy is right across the street. We're old...But we've never had a problem here. Nice staff. Clean place. Nice patio area. They also have an upstairs. We came in just before they started to charge at the door, its about $25 per person. It's Hard to park here when it's crowded.

It was my first time going to Skully’s and I enjoyed every second of it. The vibe was amazing, bartender kept the drink coming and the live music was beautiful. They have an outdoor smoking area with a bar too which I think is great. The restroom is a little smaller, so you might have to wait a minute or two since there might be people before you, but that’s okay. Overall the experience was great 10/10. This will definitely be added to my hangout spots for me and my friends. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a fun night out.

I was there a couple days ago for the TWRP concert. They put on an awesome show, but the venue obviously overbooked the place. It was PACKED. I didn't even lay eyes on the drummer until the last 15 min of the show, due to the sea of 6' tall people in front of my 5'2" view. There is no slope to the floor, just sardine like conditions, ensuring I'd only catch fleeting glimpses of the other band mates as they moved around on stage. (The pictures I got were from holding my phone up above my head.)

We visited Skullys on a Friday night for a Dubstep show. Apparently the only techno Ohio offers is dubstep which doesn't surprise me. Had the best time ever at Skully's. I wanted to dance and have a drink and I did just that. However: Skully's had a 20-dollar cover charge that night. Ginger Rabbit Jazz Lounge is a sophisticated and romantic spot tucked away in Columbus' Short North. It offers live jazz performances throughout the week, creating a perfect setting for a glamorous night out. The signature cocktail, The Ginger Rabbit, is a must-try with its blend of gin, Manzanilla, lemon juice, ginger syrup, carrot juice, and bitters.
Love this place! Cool jazz environment with echoes back to the early days. Sit back with drinks, date, and hors d'oeuvres to the sounds of chill jazz music that will cause one to drift away. Servers were ever present. Cocktails were great! We had olives, pita and hummus with our drinks. Reserve your private table online, then show up on time.

Came here for a girls night with my friends and we had such a fun time. The drinks we ordered were all very well done. Music was a vibe. I just wish they had more food options to compliment the experience even further (and because I love food haha).
Tabbi G — Google review
I ordered a light fare, hummus and pita, to accompany my drink. The snack was okay. Nothing memorable but costly. The drink was good, though. It wasn't too strong, nor was it weak. I can't recall the name of the cocktail. I enjoyed myself but the high cost to see a show and difficulty with finding parking makes me say this is a pass for me. There are 2 other jazz spots if go to fire the music and ambiance. But I love Cbus has the variety of 5 jazz spots.

Great option for a date night in the Short North. The venue is intimate and eclectic, the menu is light and focused on shareables, with lots of cocktails available. We went to the later show before capping the night at the rooftop bar at the Hilton. Fabulous evening.

Saw a friend performing a sold out show - fantastic ambiance, reminiscent of jazz clubs in Poland. Would highly recommend the Burly Words cocktail. Will be going again ASAP.
Marshall K — Google review
This is a fantastic cozy place to catch live jazz and they have a great gin bar. While they do serve food, check the most recent menu carefully, as few people I know like the menu. Sadly the menu tries harder than it should to be "elevated" and has too much of a seafood appetizer focus. Don't rely on the photos of the menu on Google as the menu has changed, and not for the better. This place would be top notch if there were a few crowd pleasing menu items so you could get an appealing snack while taking in the show. You'll need reservations and tickets for the show. The bar seating is not particularly comfortable or facing the right way to take in the show, so I avoid that. Also the 4 seater couch closest to the stage on your right has a partially blocked view of the stage. The rest of the seating all works well. The service is always good and my drinks are typically strong. Guests under 21 are not permitted, which is understandable, but a shame it can't be relaxed to 18 with a parent. The venue is in a basement but it's well appointed and you'll forget it's a basement quickly. The small size makes the shows feel particularly intimate.
Jonathan Z — Google review
Went for the first time to celebrate my birthday. I had trouble making an online reservation (not necessarily their fault, I think my cruddy laptop was glitching) so I emailed them. Patrick reserved a table for me with a wonderful view. These intimate tables for two that are closer to the stage have the most comfortable, plush chairs - the kind where the back wraps all the way around the seat and you're enveloped. There are stools at the bar, and the wall seating was a bench that probably went all the way across, but also had plush cushioning and some curtains for segmentation and ambiance. Bathrooms are easily accessible and close enough you can still hear the music. Waitstaff buzz about to appease the audience, but somehow never distract from the show. Food is limited, and what they have is very good, but a little pricey. I enjoyed Sicilian olives and Spanish almonds with my Cosmopolitans, and later ordered some salmon toasts - all were delicious. Since my husband was driving, he stuck to Sprite and a lobster roll. The music! We loved the Robert Dove Quintet. As a former musician, I feel confident in saying they were very skilled. As a human, I will tell you they produce joy. My foot, hand, or head was barely still the entire show and I was so impressed by the 17 yr old keyboarder that I asked to give him a hug after the show. We went for the early seating. Reservations are assigned seating times, so that there's no bottleneck in such a small space. We were one of the first to arrive for our showtime, which meant I got all the cocktail attention I could desire, and she wished me HBD. When we left, the folks for the later seating were packed down the staircase: this is a perfect date night spot.

Understory offers a unique dining experience in the canopy along the Olentangy River, making it perfect for a date night or family meal during winter. The restaurant features a new Winter menu with original favorites like the Cubano and seasonal offerings such as SMores Pudding and Tofu Ramen Bowl. The venue is housed in an old TB school, providing an interesting atmosphere with different seating options on separate levels.
I’ve been obsessed with Understory for quite a bit. I love the uniqueness of the building architecture and the original elements that remain throughout. I wanted a more moody vibe for our October wedding and it was the perfect setting. I was thrilled when the Fieldhouse event space upstairs was available. Haley was super helpful and answered any questions I had. I was able to customize the menu to fit our needs and it was the perfect day for our intimate wedding. The space felt very cozy - we had around 80 guests. We got so many compliments about our day. It was perfect and I wish I could experience it all again! I do recommend having a solid plan for setup/cleanup since you can’t leave decor overnight.

I’ve been meaning to come here since the concept started being talked about years ago. Beautiful day and wanted to sit on a patio, this place came to mind. Beautiful old converted building, we opted to go to the commons area. The layout makes perfect sense, and I would say is the gold standard of counter service set-ups. The menu is smaller, but by no means small. The terrace is absolutely beautiful with plenty of seating and this patio is IDEAL for people who want to bring their furry friends with them. The cocktails are a little pricey for the counter service setup, but tasty none the less. They have all of the Wolfsridge favorites on draft and in cans too. There’s not much too to comment on in terms of service since it’s not a full service experience, just a few people looking bored behind a counter. The appetizers were adequately portioned and really good. I’m looking forward to returning and trying the different floors of the concept.

I had my wedding at Understory about a week ago. We had a total of 60 people, and the space was the perfect size. Planning the wedding with Haley was easy and stress-free. On the day of, the coordinator and banquet captain were helpful and amazing. The best part of this venue is that it is beautiful as-is, so I did not have to decorate that much— I just added some simple flowers and candles. All of my guests complimented the venue and said they had a great time. I highly recommend having your wedding here: It is an elegant space and the staff is friendly and professional. Thank you Understory!

Haley helped us plan our entire event and we can’t say enough great things about her. The staff who helped the day run smoothly were wonderful, calming, flexible, and professional. The food was delicious and drinks were excellent. The weather was also perfect and the balcony was well used during our reception. We loved having our wedding at The Understory, and it’s so fun we can go back to grab a drink or a bite and reminisce!

We chose Understory to host a private wedding event in August and couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Planning was so easy, thanks to Haley Parker. She was very informative throughout the process, in addition to being flexible and accommodating with our wishes. The events team was on top of everything the night of - the event lead and all of the servers were so friendly. Our guests raved about the food, drinks, and cocktails, especially loving the bonus patio space to hang out on. The indoor space is also beautiful - not requiring much additional decoration (in my opinion). Thanks again to everyone at Understory! We had such a great night.

We’re visiting from California and came here for brunch/lunch with three friends — everything was awesome! The food was super good — we had Brussels sprouts, burgers, chicken salad, and pulled pork sandwiches. We also tried a local beer and two sparkling rosés — all great picks. Jacob and Jacqueline were amazing! Super friendly and took great care of us. The place has a nice vibe and feels really local. Definitely recommend if you’re around downtown Columbus.

We held an event with 80 people here, and cannot say enough positive things about the day! We rented the entire second floor with the terrace, which was wonderful for people to move about. Having the food and bar in a separate room was perfect. We had so many compliments on the food. It was all delicious and unique! The atmosphere was casual and pleasantly inviting. Debi was so helpful in determining the perfect menu selections and quantities, as well as room set up. Jen, Lila, Jerald, and Zoey were perfectly attentive and beyond helpful throughout the event. All the linens were in place when we arrived, which made set up go very quickly and smoothly. Very organized! Having an elevator was very convenient for some of our guests. This was such a great place to host an event, with a cool vibe and awesome food! Thank you all!

Drinks are a bit on the pricey side but they do pack a punch. On our visit we just missed the dining hours and I can’t wait to come back to try brunch. Edit: Finally made it in with some friends to try the food and loved the ambiance of the outdoor patio. It was a bit frustrating to have to order crisps or fries separately to enjoy with the fried goat cheese- something should be served with that without the additional cost. Food is very clean and fresh tasting but is not something to rave about.

"Stories on High" is a top-notch spot for various occasions like dates, birthdays, or after-work gatherings. Located on the twenty-eighth floor of Hilton, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of Columbus. The menu features a fusion of Japanese and Korean cuisines with creative and high-quality dishes that are worth the price. The venue provides an Okinawan bar ambiance with sushi and small plates. While the prices are relatively high, the fresh ingredients, excellent presentation, and flavors make it worthwhile.
Quickest service I’ve ever gotten! Extremely friendly and efficient staff. Prices for food made sense considering it’s supposed to be tapas. Portions were on point in that regard and one person could order about 2-3 things with a drink and be good. Plenty of space, great for friends or date night.

Okay so we were new here! Gorgeous place with extremely kind and friendly staff! We did have a few hiccups with our service - Food came out before drinks, some food forgotten, It took a while to be acknowledged by a server although we were seated and had reservations. The food was really delicious and i loved the variety of drinks offered! Everyone was very kind, apologetic and helpful throughout our little hiccups, therefore i absolutely plan on returning! If it wasn’t handled so kindly and professionally it would definitely have been a different outcome.

First time visiting Stories on High. I came specifically for the Omakase menu ($85/person). Top courses for me were the chawanmushi, wagyu rice bowl (on the saltier side for my preference), and green tea ice cream (matcha could be stronger). It was the perfect amount of food, and the meal makes me look forward to trying their regular menu (also Japanese inspired). For drinks, I got Tee Time and Afternoon Shade. Latter was an espresso martini with a hit of orange, and it was my favorite. The view really cannot be beat considering we're in Columbus, Ohio. My server was very attentive and knowledgeable. Thanks for a lovely time!

I had a fantastic experience and highly recommend Stories On High . The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was really inviting. The view was absolutely spectacular 🌇. I want to give a shout-out to Jeff, our server, for his great service and Pj, the manager, really went above and beyond to help us find a perfect table for our anniversary. I definitely plan to go back and would rate it a solid 10 out of 10.

If you ever want to impress somebody. This is the place to go!! Atmosphere & Customer Service is top tier. (Wish they would extended their kitchen hours past 10PM.) This place will continue to be one of my favorite date night locations 📍

Beautiful scenery of the rooftop but the service could be so much better. Wait more than 20 minutes for our waiter to talk to us TWICE! It was my birthday and I wasn’t even acknowledged for it. The wagyu burgers were the only good thing.

Stopped by for happy hour, and it did not disappoint! Great prices with a great view, and staff were really friendly. Can’t wait to come back for their omakase.

Stories on High is truly one of the most elegant rooftop restaurants I’ve ever been to! The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing, and the scenery from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking — a perfect spot to take in the city views. The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and understanding — not judgmental in the slightest, which made the experience even better. The food was beyond delicious, and the wine selection was phenomenal! This is definitely a must-visit spot in Columbus for anyone looking for great food, amazing service, and unforgettable views. Great place for frist dates and night out with the girls! Or guys ,definitely a recommended for the future again

Restaurant
Barcelona Restaurant and Bar, located in German Village, offers a genuine taste of Spain with its bustling atmosphere and sleek space. The LGBTQIA-owned establishment has been serving classic tapas like patatas bravas and empanadas since the 90s. The menu also features shareable specialties such as charbroiled cauliflower, mussels in tomato curry and coconut cream, and baked manchego with sun-dried tomato jam.
“American sized” tapas, more like “de talla mediana” (medium sized plates). Portions sizes are quite big compared to what you would expect for a tapas place. But presentation, quality of food, service and ambience are excellent, especially the outdoor patio. We were out there with a group of friends for dinner. My wife and I ordered a bunch of tapas items and by the 6th one we were full, didn’t order the main course anymore. We ordered Sangria and few other cocktails as well - everything was perfect. Our server Brad was fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Celebrated my birthday dinner here. Was definitely a great experience the patio seating is where it's at if you can sit out there. Our service was amazing and the food was delicious. The proportions were also fairly big there are some options to share as well. Definitely worth the experience!!

First time visiting the restaurant as we had a friend come over from Cincinnati. Happy hour menu was reasonable especially the tapas (they only serve them at the bar which had a very wide table). They were all good. Yana served us and she's been a delightful person the whole time we were there so make sure you ask for her (she's at the bar). She made my Martini and it was so good! I tasted the sangria too and it was perfect.

Barcelona has always been one of my favorite establishments! The service, the food in the aesthetics are always top-notch! They handled our large group with ease! We shared tapas, wine and a few entrees. Will most definitely return! The staff and management we're so attentive and treated us to dessert! Thank you so much for representing Columbus so well! 🌈🫶🏽😁

Micah was fantastic! The tapas is good, just wish we were able to try the steak (they ran out). The garlic shrimp was my favorite and the tres leches dessert was amazing! I love the warm atmosphere and option to dine on the patio.

We just celebrated our anniversary here, spent our honeymoon on barcelona so we were excited about trying it out. We loved it, our server (Sarah I believe) was great, the drinks were fantastic, best sangria I've ever had. My wife is vegetarian so the Verde paella was our choice and we loved it. We will be back.

Three of us shared empanadas, patatas, churros, chorizo, burrata, and the Mariscos paella. The space is pretty, the service was good, the food was very good. We finished with the panna cotta and orange pistachio cake and both were very good. Extensive wine list though I was hoping for a couple of bottles of more exclusive wines for being a wine spectator award winner. I would give it 4.5 across the board.

Brewpub
Barley's Brewing Company is a laid-back brewpub that has been serving up locally brewed ale for over 20 years. They offer a variety of craft beers and American pub grub, making it the perfect spot for happy hour or pre-game gatherings. The brewery also hosts tours of its facilities, where visitors can learn about the traditional and innovative brewing process from experienced brewers.
Barley's is a favorite of ours and has been for years. We walked over from Comfest on a Sunday evening to find the place basically empty. Fine with us because we got our food quickly! The service was great. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and fries, and my husband had the buffalo chicken salad, both delicious. I'm obsessed with their perfectly crunchy fries!
Nicolette — Google review
Been here twice - both times the staff have been extremely friendly, and appropriately attentive. I've gotten the veggie burger, and had a few of their brews and left with a growler. Veggie burger is alright - for the price it's underwhelming, but not bad. Alright. Fries are good. Beer list is usually genuine, humble, and tends to credit different community things as well as their assistant brewer on this last visit. Next time I'll try the fish and chips and update the rating if so. With good beers at a great price, great service, I like this place for its consistency and it's never been crazy crowded or pretentious.
H — Google review
Elevated bar food with exceptional brews. Pecan Turkey Sandwich was nutty with a little spice, rueban eggroles perfectly crispy, and chicken sandwhich perfectly crispy / juicy. Love the red ale. They also have a Ukrainian beer I had last time which was an imperial stout. They also have perogies which are pretty good. 4.7/5
Brent J — Google review
The food was fairly good but certain items could have used a bit more seasoning. Personally I found the pierogis quite good texturally and the onions are very tasty yet fairly under-seasoned. The place was a bit busy but it still took almost 20 minutes to receive the drinks we ordered which was a bit disappointing. Also, I was hoping to try some of the cask ales but sadly they said they have since abandoned the tradition since COVID (at least according to our server). Not a bad experience but a bit of a mixed bag. I'd highly recommend the Sauerkraut Balls, they were phenomenal!
Ryan R — Google review
The food was absolutely outstanding. The pierogies and mac and cheese are out of this world! The service was absolutely phenomenal. One of the best restaurants services I've ever experienced. I went there during a convention called Origins, and they were massively busy and yet they still gave every single person in their Brew pub individualized spectacular service. Can't say more, it was fantastic check this place out is a gem in Columbus Ohio.

Bourbon Meyer Buckeye- very unique beer with notes of peanut butter! Dry rub wings were good - lemon pepper were my favorite, then Cajun. Onion rings were ok, they should upgrade those to some house battered rings
Carl W — Google review
Large Midwest brewery and restaurant. Unfortunately I drove in later than I planned to and didn't get much time to drink before the concert. I only had their pilsner, which tasted like a pilsner. Didn't know that was such a difficult thing but it's been an issue lately. I walked in and sat at the bar, I was there for maybe 20min before I walked down to the venue. My limited interactions with the staff were pleasant and I didn't have to wait for my beer or to pay.
Malcolm E — Google review
Overall an excellent experience! I was in Columbus for a conference and stopped by here for dinner and all was delicious. The wings had an excellent flavor, the ranch with the perogies was interesting but pretty good, and their chicken sandwich absolutely hit the spot. Slightly messy but certainly delicious. Would recommend!

The Ohio Statehouse, completed in 1861, is a grand Greek revival building that serves as the state Capitol and seat of governance for the Ohio state government. The structure underwent multiple design changes and was supervised by five architects before its completion. Influenced by Greek architecture, it exudes grandeur and tradition. Visitors are drawn to its historical art, including The Grand Stair Hall and the Rotunda.
I took a phenomenal tour with Larry. He was a very friendly tour guide open to many questions and was very knowledgeable. This capitol was amazing. The Rotunda was fantastic, along with the Chambers. I really enjoyed the addition and the connecting room. This capitol truly is fantastic. Well worth the visit.

Free guided hourly tours start in the Map Room (basement) — weekdays 10–3, weekends 12–3. Gift store opens at 10. Self or phone guided tours available during business hours. Cafeteria was closed. Beautiful 3-story architecture, museum where you can speak from the senators’ tribune.

I really enjoyed my visit to the Ohio Statehouse. The architecture is beautiful, and the museum exhibits give a great overview of the building’s design and history. There’s so much to learn about both the construction and the role the Statehouse has played over time. If you want to go through all the exhibits thoroughly, it can easily take a full day. A great place to explore if you enjoy history, architecture, or just want to experience an important landmark in Ohio.
Vyshnavi V — Google review
This is the 23rd state/provincial capitol building we have visited and this is unique as it has been restored to its 1861 glory. Fairly limited in its decor but nice to see the simplicity. If in town, a nice quick stop.

The Ohio Statehouse is a real treasure and a must see. Beautiful example of Greek revival architecture that was lovingly restored years ago and is very well maintained. I’ve been in there literally hundreds of times and always see something I’ve never noticed. Wonderful historical building that offers tours: be sure to call ahead. Be sure to see the Rotunda, the House & Senate Chambers, and the museum and gift shop.

Outstanding guided tour of the Ohio Statehouse on Sunday 10/12/25. This tour is a must see if you are looking for a good activity when in Columbus, Ohio! You will not be disappointed. Our guide was former military and had an expert knowledge of Ohio history. Can’t think of a better way to spend taxpayer money.
Barry — Google review
“The Statehouse is built in the Greek Revival style, a type of design based on the buildings of ancient Greece and very popular in the U.S. during the early and mid 1800s. Because ancient Greece is the birthplace of democracy, the style had great meaning in the young American nation. Greek Revival was simple and straightforward and looked nothing at all like the Gothic Revival buildings popular in Europe at the same period. The broad horizontal mass of the building and the even and regular rows of columns resemble such buildings as the Parthenon in Athens. The Ohio Statehouse is a masonry building, consisting largely of Columbus limestone. The limestone was taken from a quarry on the west banks of the Scioto River. The stone of the Statehouse foundation is more than 18 feet deep. During the course of the Statehouse's construction, 22 years would pass, but it would not be a period of non-stop work. Construction would cease during the harsh winter months, and as the project would exceed its budget, there would often be halts in construction as new funding was arranged. The longest gap in construction came about when the legislation making Columbus the state capitol was due to expire. There was a eight-year lapse in the building of the Statehouse from 1840-1848. The completed basement and foundations were actually filled in with soil and Capitol Square was used as a pasture.”

Adventurous soul and dedicated foodie here! Dinner at The Guild House was decent, though I had higher expectations given the steep prices. The presentation was stunning, and the service was a perfect 10/10 truly top-notch! Drinks were moderately boozy, which I appreciated, and the dessert was an absolute highlight. The atmosphere is amazing, making it a great spot for a vibrant dining experience. A solid choice for a special night out, but the food could elevate to match the hype!

This was a celebration for my daughters birthday. This is a beautiful restaurant. The decor is amazing. They have high beams of wood 🪵 work! I loved the presentation of the vases & the chandeliers. We had the best waitress named Casey. She went above to accommodate our needs. Especially my granddaughter has a food allergy. Kudos to the chef. I loved the hospitality of the management. I had to send my salmon 🍣 back because I was expecting the cooking a little different. Casey had them make me a new one! Based on the culinary 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳I wasn’t used to the taste! I wanted more seasoning on my salmon! I did add salt & I normally don’t use it. I appreciate the effort. I was happy with their carrot, this dessert was extremely delicious! My granddaughter who don’t like it tastes she like it. I order one to take home. My daughter enjoyed her lamb chops! My granddaughter enjoyed her pasta 🍝with cheese 🧀inside the noodles! It was good! My daughter enjoyed the cocktails 🍸 🍹 . I’ll update if I get the name! I advise you to check it out! The short north! You have to park 🅿️on street or the garage. You do have to pay in the garage & some street parking. 🥤🍟

The Guild House exceeded all expectations. Our server, Kylie, was absolutely fantastic. The lamb chops were spot on. The lobster anglotti was possibly the best pasta ever I have ever had. I chose to go to The Guild House for my birthday this year and was very pleased and happy with the experience. My husband and I ordered the gem salad and hasselback potatoes to share and for entrees chose the gnocchi and scallops. All were beautifully presented and delicious. We had a lovely and friendly waitress, Sydney. Thank you to the Guild House team for the birthday card and complimentary carrot cake dessert. All of you made my birthday very special. 😊

Really good food, but the bar area was super understaffed, which made the experience pretty slow. Our server/bartender was great, but she was covering too many tables and making drinks at the same time. We had to keep looking for her and ended up not even being able to order another drink, which was frustrating. The menu was awesome with lots of great options. I got the filet, which was cooked perfectly with great sides. The grits were surprisingly good too — creamy with an egg yolk on top that actually worked really well. They also had a great bourbon selection, which I wish I’d had more time to enjoy. The place had a fun, lively vibe and great energy. If they were better staffed, this would easily be a 5-star spot.

Elevator Brewery collaborates with numerous breweries, showcasing an extensive selection of craft beers from both local and sponsoring breweries.
Amazing amazing amazing. This place is gorgeous, historic and on point. The food is spectacular especially the surf and turf cooked at your table on a hot stone! Dart boards, pool tables, cool architecture. Pricey food by oh so good!

Insanely beautiful building. Love the history. Food was good, but ribeye was ordered medium rare and came out a strong medium. Appetizer never came out and waiter looked baffled when I asked to make sure it wasn’t on the check. If it was super busy, I’d get it, it’s not. Worth the trip for the history and the vibes. Also, prices are fair on most stuff. $40 for a ribeye, with veggies, and potatoes is cool.

Steve was my guy! He was excellent, great recommendation, funny and even laughed at my non funny jokes about absolutely nothing. Now let’s get into it! I started with Baked Brie- it was good wouldn’t say it was amazing or I would order again. Just wasn’t for me! First course I had a wedge salad- delish and clue what their dressing is but I loved it. Third course was an Elevator Club- 10/10 so great! Very filling and huge, side of mashed potatoes that was outstanding good. I didn’t even use salt and pepper oddly enough. I’ll probably order another one sometime this week to go lol. Dessert was carrot cake, again another delicious dessert! Flavors is there! Larger then I expected but given the price point it was prefect size. However I would order without the berry/purple sauce that comes on and I would ask for them warm it some before receiving it. Maybe order around entree time and let it sit under heat lamp. Cold cake is the worst, in my opinion of course! The only thing I would say needs work on is the speed of drinks, had a very long time for both rounds of cocktails. Other then that thanks for an wonderful experience! You rock Steve and good luck here in Columbus!

The path is super smooth with a mix of uphills and downhills that keep it fun and engaging. I felt completely safe the entire time. Whether you’re jogging, biking, walking, or just out to relax, this spot is a gem. Highly recommend it!

Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurant
Brassica, located in the Short North and other central Ohio locations, is a bright cafe offering locavore pita sandwiches and Mediterranean cuisine. The contemporary interior and beer on tap create a welcoming atmosphere. The menu features hand-cut fries seasoned with smoky paprika and lemony sumac, along with a build-your-own line for customizing roasted, pickled, or spiced ingredients.
The food is absolutely delicious. The service was really quick with large portion sizes. The Pita is the real deal and very authentic. The best thing I thought was the price, very reasonable. I'll definitely be here again soon.

I still think about eating at this restaurant everyday. It’s the kind of place you walk into where you get so overwhelmed because everything looks incredible. We got the hummus and baba ghanoush bowl with meat and toppings and it’s just so freaking good. They also give you their own organic roasted fire cooked pita and it’s just next level. If you are stopping in Columbus and you don’t visit this restaurant, you are missing out! Short north in general is just a great place to go

What would it take to get this in California? I think I referred at least ten new diners here during the week we spent in Columbus, and they all loved it too! Hearty, healthy meals at an accessible price point, delicious as all get out, and almost entirely gluten free! Many of the diners I referred are gluten-free and they all enjoyed their options here. I dined here twice and got the sandwich and the salad, and both were absolutely incredible. The brisket? Melt in your mouth. We even shared lots of our meal with our nine month old baby (baby led weaning), and he also approved wholeheartedly! The service was friendly and professional, and the space was clean and had a lovely atmosphere. The local friend who recommended it to me told me not to miss the tahini chocolate chip cookie, and she was SO right. Moral of the story is, I need this in the SF Bay Area, stat!

My first time eating here. I love the fast casual ordering process. Although I don’t know the name of the ingredients, I just need to point and order. The humus plate and salad plate are delicious. I love their special sauce, red pepper sauce and all vegetables. Will come back to eat again.

The food is really amazing here. It’s a fancy fast food restaurant, the food is really really good though! We ordered the salad and hummus bowls, and the pink mint lemonade to drink. I’ve come back for more during my trip!! I recommend this place for a nice, flavorful, healthy quick lunch/dinner option.

Don’t walk—RUN to this delicious build-your-own local Mediterranean joint. Bringing the Middle East to the Midwest, Brassica offers a variety of deep flavors for all diets (including seasoned vegans like myself!) The amount of savory options will turn you into a regular at this fun and flavorful restaurant!

Stoked to find this place. I am a food snob and was very happy with my experience . Food is fresh, serving is decent and service was friendly and welcoming. The fit out of the place is stylish and clean creating a nice vibe. I will definitely be back again.

Really convenient and delicious! I love fully customizable menus, and it was a big bonus that their features are really vegetarian friendly. I got the salad, which was extremely filling. I also tried the house marg, which is surprisingly tart and layered for what I was expecting from a frozen drink!

Italian restaurant
Basi Italia is a charming Italian restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, offering a cozy and casual dining experience with a seasonal menu featuring locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant's intimate setting and innovative twist on traditional Northern Italian dishes make it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. With an inviting patio and steaming plates of sumptuous food, Basi Italia provides a relaxed atmosphere where friends and neighbors can gather to enjoy good wine and conversation.
Such a gem! We booked a reservation and staff was excellent at keeping us up to date as our original reservation had a wait list. After a few days they let us know we could sit inside which worked for us. Parking could be difficult as there is mostly parallel on street parking nearby but they do have an option for valet which was about the same cost as parking anyways. Inside dining is a bit tight but it works as we were all comfortable at our table. We didn't go to the patio but next time we'd like to give that a try. The food was fantastic. I'm so glad we have an actual Italian restaurant to go to besides the big chains. I had the lamb which was amazing and cooked perfectly. Appetizers were great and so was the dessert. Take a look at some of the photos and start drueling! We will definitely be coming back!
Kevin M — Google review
Basi was by far one of the best recommendations we’ve ever gotten. From start to finish, everything we tried was incredible. We started with the grilled artichoke carpaccio, and honestly, we are still trying to find the words to describe how amazing it was. Just unforgettable. We also had the mussels, which were perfectly cooked and full of flavor, however, the broth could use more seasoning. For mains, the butter-poached cod was exactly that: buttery in the best way. Every bite was rich and delicious. We also had the NY Strip Steak, which was a menu special. We ordered it medium rare but it came out rare — but that made it even better. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the pepper on top had this sweet and salty balance that worked so well. Dessert was lemon ricotta gelato and cannolis, always a win. The only small downside was that the space felt a bit hot and loud, and the chairs weren’t the most comfortable, but the food was so good it didn’t really matter. We’ll definitely be back… mostly because we can’t stop thinking about that artichoke.

We had an awesome experience at Basi Italia! The atmosphere is truly so dreamy out on the patio, the service is really great and food comes out fast- their dishes are playful with truly fantastic flavors! I will say that I think if they were able to make their pasta fresh from scratch in house, that would definitely bring their pasta game to the next level- overall, a neighborhood gem! Excellent food and service. Went on a humid evening and patio could've used another fan. Looking forward to 2nd visit. Lamb chops were amazing!
Gregory O — Google review
Wonderful evening! Its been 20 years, but Basi still exceeds all expectations. MJ provided fabulous service. The Parmesan brulee was decadent, though you will need more crostinis. The lamb and eggplant parm were amazing. The special was a pork chop. It was a bit dry, but the mashed potatoes with fennel made up for it. I highly recommend the sangria, especially paired with the patio and people watching. I will not wait another 20 years til my next visit.

What A great neighborhood restaurant with a beautiful covered patio space in the back. The complimentary bread service to start with was phenomenal. We shared five appetizers - mussels, artichoke carpaccio, zucchini, Parmesan brûlée, caesar salad - and they were all great. Everyone loved their pastas, while I went with the lamb chops which were cooked perfectly. I highly recommend Basi Italian!
Michael C — Google review
Delicious! The zucchini starter was our favorite part, definitely recommend that. The artichoke starter also looked delicious, will be trying that next time we go. The focaccia bread with truffle oil that they bring out is also amazing, so unique, unlike any focaccia I’ve ever had. For mains we got the shrimp risotto special (which was just okay), and the eggplant parmesan (which was good). The patio ambience was quaint and cozy.

Unique location! (In an alley, in a small former house, with every indoor and outdoor space utilized) We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners, wine, and ambiance. Easy to see why reservations are a must!! We will dine here again. Our server Andrew and manager Drew, were very knowledgeable and attentive.

Bar
Nestled within a distillery, Watershed Kitchen + Bar offers a sophisticated dining experience with its signature house cocktails and seasonal American cuisine. The restaurant showcases the distillery's vodka, gin, bourbon, and other spirits in its extensive and ever-changing cocktail list. The kitchen collaborates with the bar to incorporate seasonal ingredients into the food menu. Executive Chef Jack Moore presents a hearty, meat-centric menu featuring 'honest Midwestern food' with his own creative twists on regional classics.
Dined here for our 5 year anniversary. Our server was very welcoming and friendly. The Caesar salad was the best I have ever had. We added shredded short rib to both of our entrees (mushroom pasta & grilled zucchini) which was delicious!! Their craft cocktails were unique and flavorful as well. The icing on the cake was the hand written card they gave us with a gift card inside for our anniversary. Great experience overall and we would definitely return!
Jessica L — Google review
Made reservations at Watershed for their Valentine’s Day Dinner set menu, and it was definitely worth it. Our server asked right off the bat if there are any dietary restrictions, and when this was shared, she immediately discussed this with the chef who was able to change the dish to meet my dietary restriction (replaced beef tartare with a beet tartare and maintained the overall look and taste of the dish!). We had the paired cocktails with the set menu which were all unique and complimented the food well. Although the location is in a random alley, the place is much bigger than expected and has such a nice ambiance to it with comfortable seating.
Navya V — Google review
Our family has eaten at Watershed probably a dozen times over the last couple years and the food and service is always consistently excellent. The tasting menu for $55 is a good deal. My wife and son tell me how good their cocktails are here (I’m more of a wine person) and even my younger son loves how they can make many of them as mocktails. We highly recommend Watershed.
Michael C — Google review
I’ve been here three times. The first time I thought it was great, the second I got drinks and appetizers and the third I had dinner with a few friends. Overall this place isn’t a regular jaunt. Most recently I found the food to be particularly unimpressive (with the exception of the fritters), and extremely overpriced.
Grant D — Google review
Top tier flavor profiles in drink and food. This includes non-alcoholic cocktails or "Mocktails". A rustic, modern bar with private outdoor seating and indoor seating that has a full view of their stills which is cool. Drinks: Great. I got a "thats all right folks" in Alcoholic, theb my second in non-alcoholic. I actually liked both equally. The alcoholic is made with their own brandy and they balance it well. The n/a was really good and had a great cherry quality without being too simple. Food: Got brussels sprouts, bread, and market fish which was halibut. The brussels was very well done - perfect texture and well balanced with sweet and acidity. The skins were not mushy or overdone, but weren't underdone as if gnawing on uncooked roots. Very good. Bread - butter was red onion and jam I think was a seasonal fall profile like a spiced apple butter. I highly recommend this dish. It's extremely well done. My fish dish was absolutely fantastic. It comes with spinach and yoghurt and pistachio. This dish was absolutely astounding. The only item for improvement was portion size - a halibut for nearly 40 bucks I recommend a larger portion size. Luckily, my fellow diner had way too much food so I finished off their fries. Fellow diner got the kb burger. While the flavor was good (I didnt try, just relaying), ingredients resulted in a product far too wet and ended up being visibly soggy even to me. I saw the bread moosh up so they recommended doing a more solid cheese and sticking to onion instead of onion jam. The fries were good, but definitely on the salty side. Definitely expensive but they certainly take pride in their work. I just recommend a few improvements because it was so expensive.

Wow, went in for the Sunday supper. Beef rib night. And chef Matty and crew absolutely knocked it out of the park. Amazing cocktails, seeing the distillery through the windows was cool, and the food absolutely top notch. Those Brussels sprouts were crisp and sweet and a little spiced and delicious. I’ve also never had a beef rib like that. It was so tender and perfectly smoked and flavored. My wife loved the icecream dessert too.Nice job!
Michael G — Google review
Great service and food! Had a reservation for dinner at 7 on the patio. It started raining so they quickly moved us inside and sat us immediately. Ambiance was really cool. Dinner menu had a decent selection but the drink menu was huge! We had the brussel sprouts and bread & spread for appetizers, both were delicious. Entree’s I tried the Short Rib and the Smashburger, both were great!! Was shocked how good the burger was and it came with a ton of fries. Decent portions for everything.

Seventh Son Brewing Co. is a popular brewery located in Columbus's historic Italian Village, known for its exceptional ales and IPAs. The bright and rustic tasting room offers a cozy atmosphere for visitors to enjoy their own line of beers, including Seventh Son, Humulus Nimbus, Scientist, Stone Fort, and Assistant Manager Beer. The brewery recently expanded with a second floor space featuring retractable roof tiles for year-round use.
Seventh Son is a great local to Columbus. They have a huge variety of different craft brews and even craft seltzers, all brewed and canned on site. It's one of those cool breweries that has their brew house visible to everyone. My favorite area is the sun room, a big space on the second floor that has skylights for tons of natural lighting and picnic tables spread out for plenty of seating. There are also board games, TVs for watching sports (and early afternoon, they'll put on cartoons for the kids!) Really a great place for gatherings and events, too. They have rentable spaces for private parties (there was a baby shower happening while we were there) and still plenty of seating. In the warmer months there are outdoor seating places with fires. All in all, a really awesome spot.
Nick J — Google review
Seventh Son is brewing up some amazing craft beer and some super refreshing frozen drinks. Their indoor atmosphere is super cozy and inviting, while their patio offers some amazing fire pits and communal seating. And be sure to go with an appetite because they have Street Thyme serving up the most original burgers in town.
David — Google review
Seventh Son had a seriously solid Hazy IPA, punchy and hoppy, perfect for drinking on the patio on a warm evening. Also ate at the food truck there, Street Thyme, and their burger and fries were FIRE. The bun was buttery and everything was so well seasoned and I just got their plain smash burger. 10/10.

Seventh Sons Brewing in Columbus, Ohio, is a delightful gem that offers a warm and inviting atmosphere for craft beer enthusiasts. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a cozy ambiance with wood accents, leather sofas, and a spacious patio adorned with warm fires and soft lighting. The large window overlooking the brewing area provided a fascinating glimpse into the craft beer-making process. We decided to settle in at the bar and indulged in a couple of their exceptional IPAs. The flavors were truly remarkable, so much so that we couldn't resist the urge to take some home. While the merchandise selection was limited, we were pleased to find a few souvenirs to commemorate our visit. The friendly and knowledgeable staff was a highlight of our experience. They were eager to share information about their other locations and the local beer passport program. One of the most charming aspects of our visit was encountering their adorable feline mascot, the assistant manager cat. We were lucky enough to spot him lounging behind a door and couldn't resist the opportunity to give him a few pets. Seventh Sons Brewing provided a fantastic start to our brewery tour in Columbus. The combination of a welcoming atmosphere, exceptional brews, and friendly staff made it a memorable experience. We can't wait to return and explore more of their delicious offerings.

Land-Grant Brewing Company, located in Columbus, was founded by two Ohio State alumni who returned to their hometown to create something unique. Originally known as Oval Brewing and funded through a Kickstarter campaign, the brewery was rebranded as Land-Grant in 2014 and is now situated in historic Franklinton. At the Six One Pour event, they will be showcasing their limited-release Mr.
I know this is one of the most popular breweries in Columbus but it’s worth every bit of the hype. They have beers to suit all tastes I prefer the Columbus crew themed one. Ray Rays and Mikey’s late night slice have food trucks there. Many great events are held there and it’s in a great location for some major Columbus events. Cant recommend enough!
Casey A — Google review
Love coming here to watch the Crew games with my Crew-loving bestfriends. The drinks are great, much vaster than just beer. I especially enjoy their own boozed up lemonade option they offer. Outdoor seating is super cute, and the food truck choices are always great (though busy).
Tabbi G — Google review
I recently had the pleasure of playing in a pickleball league at Land-Grant Brewing, and I can't recommend it enough. It's a truly fantastic experience that combines the fun of competition with a relaxed, social atmosphere. The league is incredibly well-run, and the staff is a huge part of what makes it so special. They are organized, friendly, and always go the extra mile to make sure everyone is having a good time. It's clear they genuinely care about the players and the league itself. But what truly sets this league apart is the incredible sense of community. We started out as strangers, but after just a few weeks of playing together, we've formed some amazing friendships. The camaraderie is real, and the cheers and laughs from the sidelines are just as much a part of the experience as the games themselves. Whether you're a seasoned player or a complete beginner, you'll have a blast. It’s a great way to stay active, meet new people, and enjoy some fantastic beer afterward. If you're looking for a fun, social, and well-organized pickleball league, look no further than Land-Grant.

Great spot with tasty beer and some good food trucks. The beer garden soaked is also great. I did want to bring to someone attention about a tree. Its in the corner of the beer garden. Its a Tree Of Heaven. Whilst having my beer I squashed multiple Spotted Lantern Flies which are a very invasive insect. This tree is their home base and has multitudes flying around. Would love to see these pests taken care of.

Land grant is the best, especially the extension where they have weekly pickleball leagues in the summer! In particular, Caleb (pictured below) who runs some of the leagues is the best bartender ever! He knows everyone’s names, has tons of detailed info about all the drink offerings, and is super enthusiastic about helping you find something you like. We love him!!!

I have heard a lot about Land-Grant & finally went the other day during the Arts Festival! It was really nice to be able to walk there for adult beverages at normal prices LOL. The bartenders we had were both professional & great at/with recommendations. I had the Spiked Lemonade with vodka & the margarita, my partner had the Jeni's strawberry 🍓 rhubarb & the Tangerine 🍊 cider! We tried them all & everything was great 😃👍🏻 The large outdoor courtyard was great, plenty of seating and shade, activities etc. We biked downtown so not sure about parking, but street parking is of course nearby.

Decent brews, friendly staff, clean facilities. Their ciders were top tier and I really liked their chistmas seasonal. They do fill growlers and I got a tangerine cider. I highly recommend this cider - it's extremely fruity and effervescent. Staff very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu. atmosphere right now (11/23) is 80s christmas gaudy - which I love - and energetic. No kitchen. A food truck outside I didnt try but it's there. I recommend. I hope they expand to include some seasonal sours and ciders for the cold months.

The atmosphere is awesome! Everyone is friendly and the staff is great! The beers aren’t my favorite however the cocktails are really good! I had the Peach Palmer and I highly recommend that!!! The Rudy grapefruit IPA is really good and I’m topically not an IPA fan! The patio is next level and they go have live music and events all the time! I highly recommend this place! Beautiful place and architecture. The sections of the gallery are well displayed, lighting, music and videography are well curated and tells you about the whole subject of the exposition. We visited last week and the place was almost empty so it was great to just take a seat and contemplate the artwork, mostly photographs.

Lisa A — Google review
Wexner Center for the arts offers a truly unique and thought-provoking experience, showcasing a diverse collection of contemporary works. However, it might not be the ideal destination for children, particularly those who struggle to see artistic merit in unconventional displays like water pipes and light bulbs arranged as sculptures. Appreciating many of the exhibits requires a certain abstract thinking and an ability to relate to the complex, unseen narratives that life often presents. For those who possess this conceptual understanding, this art center is an enriching and inspiring visit.

Union Cafe, located in Columbus's Short North, has been a popular LGBTQ+ gathering spot for over 20 years. The restaurant and bar offer a diverse menu including salads, sandwiches, pizza, and all-day breakfast. On Sundays, they host an all-you-can-eat buffet brunch. The drink menu features wine, beer, spirits, specialty cocktails like Long Islands and giant cocktails. Union Cafe is known for its energetic atmosphere and regularly hosts drag events.
Love being at Union. The food and environment are subjective. You love it or you don’t. I love it. But the real stars of the show are the service team. Every time spot on with knowledge, remembrance, and care. I’m impressed that our server remembered us and our drinks. But also wanted to point out how wonderful it is to be in a place and not feel judged. My partner and I “pass” as a straight couple and that can get some flack from the LGBT+ community. But here we can feel a part of the community and be ourselves without judgement, such sentiment I haven’t felt in other establishments. Thank you, team Union for really living up to your name. Special shout out to Kevin!
N J — Google review
I really miss the "old" Union. A time when the service was top notch and the bar was always packed on the weekends. It seems the past few years it has been slowly slipping away, from the horrible service (waited 20 minutes) for a server, when they finally took our drink order, they never came back to see if we wanted to order food. We just cashed out and went to another restaurant. I've also noticed the bar isn't as well kept as it used to be. Notice the tvs broken/ missing that used to show upcoming events and very unsturdy tables recently placed on the patio. This place deserves better...

Bar vibes but 5 star restaurant food. This LGBTQ+ friendly restaurant is right in the middle of short north. They have a good sized covered patio that faces the action on the street. Inside they have TVs with music videos playing. The first time I came here I was a bit too nervous to oder mussles at a bar but I was shocked at how good the food was. Now I sometimes come here just for a nice meal. My server, Jose remembered from last time that I like my broccoli burt, just like mom used to make. He talked to the kitchen and now Chandler will be custom burning my broccoli every time lol. The salmon is cooked perfect (not burnt.)

If I could give a zero, I would. We had 11:30 reservation for 4 ppl the day after Pride. The bar wasn't full and there was a drag show. We finally get two of our plates at 1pm. We waited almost two hours. We spoke to the manager and they offered to comp our drinks and offered us 20% off our meal so we kept waiting. The food was cold when it arrived. We never got our second round of drinks. That was the last straw. We actually walked out and went down the street. At another restaurant we got seated without a reservation and we were eating within 15 mins. Very disappointed in Union.

i ate the most delicious burger and fries of my life there with my friend and his dad genuinely. i have missed the taste of it ever since. coming from a small town where i feel like an outsider, i felt very welcomed there, and our waitress had such a kind aura. the music was very loud and i usually don't like things that are very loud but it was greatly surpassed by everything else around me, and i was overwhelmed in a good way. to whoever cooked my food and served me that night, i will appreciate you for the rest of my life

This is the 5th time in as the past year I've driven out of my way trying to come in and support a local gay bar/restaurant when I'm in town but their kitchen wasn't open yet again. Nothing online says what their kitchen hours are and I've tried calling ahead but it doesn't even seem like they ever answer their phone. The bartender was nice and apologized but didn't seem to know what was going on with this either, he explained it was supposed to be temporary but by my count it's been at least 6 months? I really used to love this spot when I've come to town in the past but from what I've heard (and based on the state of the place in general) it's clearly been slipping since the new ownership took over.
Grant Z — Google review
Terrible experiences every time I have been here… maybe not terrible, but severely inadequate. This time was the last straw after seeing someone else being disrespected the way I have been. Not only will I never go back here again. I will never recommend and highly discouraged anyone to return to this place. The behaviors of the team, the severe lack of respect to others, and the hospitality that may have only met dive bar standards. I highly question if this place should even be allowed to be a staple LGBT+ gathering spot. It is dreadfully sad.

They have accessible entrances that can open automatically into the building however they lack it when entering the actual museum as well as the doors that lead to the restroom. There is an elevator that allows for access to the second floor where it is located as well. Within the actual museum I like that signing in is at a lower table with an opening to sit at like a desk as well as all the displays that are on stands are easily visible. Overall the museum is accessible, however, it could use some improvements to be fully accessible.

This was such a cool little museum! Very modern and well done. And free!

We thoroughly enjoyed the museum. Very well curated with so many details of cartoons history. Highly recommended if you like the topic. 🙌🏻 We loved learning about the different techniques used by the cartoonists!

I visited this location because it is located on campus and is free for everyone to access. Overall, the building is generally accessible for people with disabilities. When I arrived, I noticed a ramp leading to the entrance, clear signage, and accessible doors. There was also an elevator conveniently located near the entrance, with a sign pointing to it and buttons placed low for easy access. Inside the museum, the walkways were wide, and there were plenty of seating areas, making the space easy to navigate and comfortable. The wooden flooring was also smooth and accessible. I appreciated that the pictures and descriptions were placed lower on the wall, which makes them easier to view, though I did notice there was no Braille available. One downside was that parking near the building was limited, which could make access confusing for some visitors. The lighting inside was a bit dim, which may be challenging for people with low vision, but the quiet and calm environment could be helpful for individuals with sensory sensitivities. Overall, I would rate the accessibility a 4 out of 5. The location has many great accommodations, but there’s still room for improvement.

The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum is a really neat, free feature on OSU's campus. We stopped by on Friday and had a great time. There are parking garages on campus just a short walk from the museum building, and we paid $10.00 for event parking (probably due to the graduation weekend). The museum is on the 2nd floor, and had a few featured exhibits on display - 3 rooms total. While not huge, it's still really enjoyable to walk around and see what they have. Pictures were allowed in some spots. There was a fun variety of art, a lot that was very nostalgic! I think there's also a reference library people can check out, but by appointment. I would absolutely recommend people stop by the cartoon museum if they're in Columbus and have the opportunity.

Nice little free museum on the second floor of Sullivant Hall, right off high street. They have a lot of original Calvin and Hobbes artwork, in addition to revolving exhibits. Been here twice, back in 2017 and now in 2023, and it was a fun way to spend an hour or so both times. An absolute hidden gem on campus.

Amazing place!! Had a class in this building once, I was honored to share a space with cartoons. Open lobby space, good for flying around. Awesome staff, lots of cool comics! Got to see lots of other little dragons in the drawings :] made me happy

The Service Bar is a trendy and spacious distillery, bar, and kitchen located at Middle West Spirits in Columbus. The establishment offers a modern American dining experience with a focus on contemporary cuisine and house spirits. Executive Chef Avishar Barua presents inventive dishes that blend Midwestern and Middle Eastern flavors, such as the Koji Half Rohan Duck and Short Rib with Huajian Bao.
I hesitate to leave a review here as I’d much prefer to keep Service Bar off the radar for my own benefit. Service and ambiance were both fantastic. The food was surprisingly good compared to other restaurants attached to distilleries or breweries. I am not exactly a cocktail aficionado, but I would not consider myself an amateur whiskey drinker. The cocktails here are unbelievable. We ordered two of the more interesting concoctions on the menus, expecting them to be akin to what you put on pancakes. They were anything but. Spirit focused, thoughtfully crafted, and addicting. Don’t pass on Service Bar. Scratch that. Don’t go. You won’t like it. Best to stay away. 🤫

Nice place, and nice service. Service was on the slow side but only because of limited staffing. $41 fish plate was tastey but extremely small, so were drinks. Honestly I spent over a hundred bucks with a tip but left very hungry. The fish was served on a comically large plate that enhances the small portion, but the flavor profile of the fish was very good - I like the tanginess of the sauce and it had a lot of seasoning. Filet was cooked well, and although the dish was on the oiley side it was very tastey. It came with pickled onions which were good. Probably wouldn't buy again though at 41 bucks. The pizza was much better value at 15 bucks for the food. Yes it was still small, but the quality of crust waa good and fellow diner recommended. For the price, I'd say it was alright.

We were looking for a special dinner that would accommodate our group. First of all, the drinks were phenomenal and innovative. Kudos to the chef for curating a vegan dish that was truly unique and incredibly delicious. Also, the service was above and beyond! David, Cassidy and Grace were all super accommodating and kind. Everyone in Columbus - this place is so worth the visit! Don’t miss out 💕 P.S. - the Oaxacan 75 is one of the most well-rounded cocktails I’ve ever had! Couldn’t recommend it more!

Creative and delicious menu! Had the pork chop, the salmon, the hanger steak and stuffed quail for our meals. Appetizers were the fries and confit wings. Drinks were amazing too!

Lots to say about this dining experience, overall it was good. The good: -The atmosphere was nice, good lighting and okay space between the tables. Nice decor and accents. -Our drinks were very good and the perfect strength, well balanced, nice aesthetic. -The whipped cream on creme brulee was perfectly sweetened. -The Caesar salad dressing is some of the best I've ever had and the cheese is so fresh. The bad: -The marrow appetizer was overpriced for what it was, we (maybe) got 1.5 tablespoons out of both bones combined. They were prepared well and the sourdough was very good and charred perfectly. -We asked to share a Caesar salad, the kitchen did not plate it onto 2 plates. We were given the dish and had to wait for plates. -Not bad, but surprised to receive regular heinz ketchup with the duck fat fries, anticipated something housemade. -Shocked to hear our server did not know what an Irish coffee was, and never gave us an answer if we could order one or not. -My pappardelle pasta was so salty I almost sent it back, the size and texture of the noodles was great. -My spouse's mussels seemed over cooked but everything else was fine he said. What should be fixed: -The front of house is undeniably understaffed, we saw 2 servers the entire time we were there on a Friday night. The bartender and 2 other support staff were there helping to run food and clear our table. -Retraining the FOH staff is a must...examples missing from our service include; replacing silver ware when you take dirty ones from the table (we went without a few utensils), boxing up food away from the table should be standard practice for a restaurant of this caliber, checking in on the meal at least twice (we were only checked on once we were done eating). All-in-all I will go back, but it seems like a 50-50 experience, some stuff is good and some stuff is bad and it's a mix of the food and service. For $141 before tip, it's overpriced for what it is right now. Small, consistent improvements will make this place worth it.

I had a fantastic dinner with my wife tonight at Service Bar, in celebration of our eighth wedding anniversary. Our server, Andy, was excellent and proved invaluable in helping us decide, since there were several vegan options available on the menu. Our cocktails and appetizers came out very fast, and were incredible - the wonton and brassica dishes both featured beautiful plating and intense flavors, complimenting the 'Blood Sugar Magic' and 'Rosé Petal' beverages selected for our first round. For main courses we chose the Black Pepper Seitan and Panang Curry, which again arrived at the perfect moment and continued the meal without making us feel rushed. A second round of cocktails followed, with a 'Courtlandia' for me, and my wife selecting 'Rosemary's Daisy'. Dessert arrived again at seemingly the precise time it was meant to; a vegan 'Buckeye' that mystified our senses with its chocolate-peanut-maple flavors and textures leaving us dazzled. 10/10, would dine at Service Bar again. Slightly pricey if you take a tour of the entire menu like we did, but absolutely worth the experience!

We had an excellent meal and drinks at the beautiful bar. The pork cheek gnocchi is insanely good. It was one of the best bites of food I've had in recent memory. There was a perfect amount of heat as well as beautiful warming spices, and the cheek was so tender it fell apart when you touch it with the fork. The Rachel was also very good, and the kimchi played well with the other big flavors on the sandwich, while leaving a lingering heat that was very pleasant against the very savory smoked meat. While the communal seating may not be ideal for some, I think it is nice to be able to see and share the dining experience with those around you, and discuss the very inventive food and beverage. This place is definitely worth the price, and we will be back for more.

This was a gem I randomly came across and we went on a whim and absolutely loved it! The wings were hands down some of the best wings I’ve had in the entire city. Top notch! I’ll be returning just for this. The porkchop was to delicious but the carbonara fell flat for us a little bit. The noodles were more of a matted ball than anything so we were cutting into it like it was a piece of meat, but the flavor was tasty! Just a texture thing. The cocktails were all fabulous. We’ll likely come back for snacks and drinks for sure. Keep it up, service bar! We loved you!

Watershed Distillery is a standout bar-restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, known for its excellent food and creative drink menu. The distillery offers tours of their Grandview location several days a week, followed by the opportunity to enjoy dinner and drinks at Watershed Kitchen & Bar. Their cocktail menu is particularly noteworthy, featuring a great selection of both alcoholic and zero-proof cocktails with fun themes. Visitors can also expect excellent service during their experience at Watershed Distillery.
Came here for dinner and to pick up a few bottles. You’re able to do tastings up front prior to buying any alcohol which was really nice. As for dinner, there were plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options. If I remember correctly, there were a few vegan options (other than just salads). We had a great time and the food was very good!

Watershed Distillery is an absolute delight, especially new cocktail menu. The Dystopian Dream (whiskey base) and Barrel Aged Old Fashioned were both robust and delightful. Had a great time sitting with Johnathan and learning about all the new things Watershed is working on. A great pit-stop for crafted cocktails and post work happy hours. Michael’s tour is S tier and an incredible (dad-joke filled) experience! If you're looking for a great afternoon filled with fantastic drinks and engaging stories, Watershed Distillery should be at the top of your list!

I give the tour 5 stars, but not the restaurant. The tour guide was awesome. You get enough samples of gin, bourbon, and brandy, plus learn about the process. The food at the restaurant was okay and I didn't care for their cocktails. I don't know if my taste buds were off because I had 10 or 11 samples of gin, bourbon, and brandy. The toliet in the women's restroom was nasty, it hadn't been clean.

I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday and it was an amazing experience!! We took a tour, then had a reservation for dinner. Everyone went above and beyond!! Joe was our tour guide and he was AWESOME! Very knowledgeable, professional, but laid back and fun! He was great at describing the different notes of each tasting! Before this tasting, i thought I hated Gin and when I left, I can confidently say, I thoroughly enjoy Watershed Gin! Then, we arrived to our reservation about 20 minutes early but they still sat us right away. NOW LISTEN... this was THE BEST food and drinks I've ever had in my life!! I was shocked at the depth of flavors in both the drinks and food!! I cannot stress this enough! I love trying new restaurants and have eaten at plenty of high end establishments, and this experience will make me dream of this place until we go back!! To top it off, I had noted on my reservation that I would love to have my bf's drink served in one of their glasses for him to keep (obviously I'd pay for it!), not knowing if it was possible or they'd even notice the request. Not only did they bring him a glass, they said it was on the house!! While also having a candle in his dessert AND giving us each a free nocino shot!!! I was floored!! Upon leaving, we stopped to pick out a bottle to buy. The woman at the counter told us about a special release flavor that was currently for sale, with a select amount of bottles and offered a tasting. It was fantastic, so we bought a bottle! (Major props to her, because she totally made that sale!! We would've left with a $40 bottle and she got us to spend $110 just by offering it, and being knowledgeable and personable!) Long winded, but I seriously can't praise this place enough!! The tour with Joe was entertaining, informative, and gave me a huge appreciation for Watershed!! Then the dinner was its own wonderful experience! The serve was effieicent and our server, Ron, brought us things before we even knew we needed them! These people work their butts off and truly have a passion for their jobs and their customers! I will gladly spend my time and money there! 😊

Decided to book a tour for my boyfriend's birthday, since he is really into bourbon. It did not disappoint! We had a great time. Loved our tour guide Joe. He made everyone feel comfortable, very knowledgeable, professional and fun. I love the variety of tastings. You get a lot more than other places offer, when it comes to the tastings. Will be coming back and have also already recommended friends and family. Thank you watershed for a great experience on a special day.

Juniper is a high-end restaurant that features both indoor and outdoor rooftop cocktail lounges with stunning views. It is perfect for romantic nights out or a late-night bite after partying. The restaurant serves a variety of Caribbean small plates and signature cocktails in an upscale setting.
Rooftop bar with one of our favorite views of the Columbus skyline. Friendly service, very chill atmosphere, amazing drinks and small plates. Our favorite cocktail is the park on rose. It has a very natural sweetness to it with the floral tones you'd expect with rose in the name. Also tried the green goddess which is a refreshing cucumber cocktail. Plantains are good but they are only served if the daily supply passed the head chef's test of quality (the waiter told us he's carribean, not yet verified). Highly recommend checking this place out.

We photographed our first wedding 💒 here and it was beyond incredible 💕 one of Columbus’ finest! Juniper provides coordinators that do so much more than a normal day of coordinator. Took my husband for a surprise date. Absolutely gorgeous views of downtown Columbus. If you sit on the North side it is a little loud but the south side is more quiet. The furniture was from Ikea. Practical but comfortable in this trendy spot. During the Warner months the patio is opened for outside air and a fireplace is there to welcome you as well. Also the front of the building has sliding glass walls where it opens to an open rooftop. Definitely a 5 star restaurant with amazing cuisine. It is moderately price and the food is out of this world. The plates are sharable and perfect for a group outing. Service was spot on. Greeted with class and smiles. Word of advice reservations are almost a must unless you want to wait a good hour. Bathrooms are separate but open concept. Pretty unique. I will definitely be back for more class!

Apparently this establishment has a dress code that is published nowhere on their website and is inconsistently applied. Our group got in with no issues until one of the last members of our group. He was told it was due to a “cut off shirt” and the material of his shorts. He was wearing a hemmed sleeveless shirt and black shorts made of an athletic material. Another member of the group was wearing a nearly identical pair of shorts and was let inside with no issues. The only difference between the two of them is that the member who was denied entry was not white. There were many other people inside with similar shorts on. When I later inquired about a dress code, this same bouncer told me “no wife beaters” and “no sweatpants or shorts with sweatpants material”, which did not apply to his clothing. Having a dress code isn’t a problem, but when the rules only apply to people with certain appearances, that’s a serious problem. They respond to reviews claiming to have this dress code to “maintain a consistent atmosphere”, yet they can’t seem to consistently apply this dress code without being discriminatory and racist. This is absolutely disgusting behavior and shouldn’t be tolerated.

Great rooftop bar spot. Great views. Busy! Fun and more chillish / nothing too crazy vibes. Cocktail prices reflect rooftop bar pricing haha (but they were good!). The staff was nice. They have table service (it was seat yourself late Friday night). Inside and outside portions, all open. Fire pit outside. Enter on the street and take the elevator up. There was someone in the lobby to help navigate. Walked over from the hockey arena after a game, was about a 15 min walk.

I love the vibe this rooftop bar gives out. The decorations is gorgeous and the downtown view of Columbus is absolutely stunning. There’s no wait if you don’t have reservations….sit at bar. There are food here but doesn’t have as much options for those that might be picky. This place is good for hanging out and chilling with friends/family while having some drinks. I love eating oysters and the oysters here was small and still has fishy smell compared to other places. Besides that, the sushi’s and pizza was absolutely good and waiting wasn’t that long for food to come out. The service and atmosphere very enjoyable. If you or someone in town, must check out this gorgeous place!

The location is great. They check IDs at the lower entrance. The food is all appetizer size, which is perfect. The drinks were good. The experience is unique. Bar service is quicker than the servers coming to the tables. Since it is near the corner, getting dropped off / picked up isn't difficult. Or if you want to drive public parking isn't far.

This is the worst bar experience I have ever had in my entire life. Everything started out fine when we came in before a show and had one drink. We went to a show, and then went and had dinner and decided to come back for a few more drinks after dinner. When my husband and I ordered another drink for ourselves, we waited over 20 minutes and never got our drinks. We asked our waitress where our drinks were and were told they were on their way that the bar was very busy, but the bar was not busy. I went up to the waitress and told her that one of our friends wanted a drink as well and to add that to our order and then that is when we were told that we were being “paced” because we had been there earlier. But we had been there many hours earlier so I don’t know what she was thinking. The manager was standing next to her and got very rude and in my face and told me if I didn’t like it, they were going to call the police and have us escorted out. I said that if that was the case, then we were going to leave so I went back to the table and told our party that we were going to leave. At that point the management had already called the police, who then forcefully escorted us from the bar, even though we had been peacefully sitting there, enjoying our drinks the entire time. And on top of that, they tried to charge us for the drinks that they refuse to service us! I guess they didn’t like having a party of slightly older people in their bar and wanted us to leave. I have never been so rudely treated in my entire life. I would not recommend this bar and I will never return.
Kris C — Google review
This is probably the most professional rooftop bar I have been to. You enter this big empty lobby with a person at a desk checking IDs before the elevator. The elevator has no buttons so I’m guessing the bar is the only destination it will go to. Once you exit the elevator you meet a stunning wall of flowers to take pictures at. Then you encounter a hostess asking for reservations. Luckily they had a few seats that were open for walk-ins. The view was very elegant. It didn’t feel like other rooftop bars you might have encountered in college. The menu had quite a number of drink and food options, all on the more expensive side. I asked for a cocktail that wasn’t on the menu and the bartender learned to make it on the spot and it was one of the best I’ve had. I cannot attest to the food but I hear good things. It’s definitely a spot worth checking out.

The Lox Bagel Shop in Columbus offers a unique blend of New York and Montreal bagel styles, with hand-rolled, boiled, and fire-baked options. Their crispy-chewy bagels come in various flavors and are topped with spreads like beet and thyme cream cheese. The cafe also serves savory breakfast sandwiches such as the pastrami, egg, and cheese on crispy fried potato wedges or the namesake Lox sandwich with zesty capers and crisp onion.
Wow, Lox Bagels… you’ve truly blown me away! I just experienced the most incredible breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting. I got the Southwest with bacon on a salt and herb bagel, complemented perfectly by a refreshing blueberry mint lemonade. The bagel was nothing short of perfection, crispy on the outside, warm and chewy on the inside. The herbs went beautifully with the kick of the poblanos. When I return to Columbus, I will definitely be coming back for more. You’ve set a new standard in breakfast sandwich greatness. 10/10 absolutely, without a doubt, would recommend!

Love this place so much! The bagels are incredible, very New York style, chewy, amazing flavor and texture. Tons of sandwich options, or just get a bagel and cream cheese: plenty of different flavors! Also…. oh my god, the fried potato. This might be my favorite bite of food in the city. Get a side of egg sauce! Great vibe also: very laid back, clean, and super kind staff. Angling to become a regular.

Went in around 10:30 am on a Saturday in August and only waited ~3 minutes to order! What a surprise! We were prepared to wait for a few extra minutes. We ordered the egg and cheese (with sausage) on a salt and herb bagel. The bagel was so delicious. It was crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. It had large flakes of salt on it and the herbs were not over powering (love). We also ordered an everything bagel with lox (added egg). Also very delicious. We will be coming back tomorrow! It was about $30 for two bagels adding protein to each bagel.

At arrive I noticed the line was of length which is usually a good sign. I ordered the sea salt and herb bagel with chive cream cheese, generous on the cream cheese. As well as the potatoes as were recommended by the owner. The bagel itself was delicious. Good crunch to chewy fluff ration good flavor. The bagel itself solid. Personally they were not generous with the cream cheese as requested and honestly even short changed in the amount for a normal bagel. For the cost I’d expect they would give you an amount cream cheese that was fair. As for the recommended crispy potatoes… well they missed the mark. Light airy fry on them but completely flat on flavor. Zero seasoning and salt. Which with the bagel being well seasoned I was at a shock. I had to go to the counter and request salt to Sprinkle over the potatoes to make them Even semi worth it. If properly seasoned they are probably delicious but what I received 100% missed the mark and after being an owner recommendation thats worry some.

Cute bagel moment in cbus. They are a bit on the smaller side and prepare for a line. There were plenty of tables open, though! I thought the sea salt and herb bagel was an interesting blend and I’m glad I tried it. Very appreciative of the vegan cashew spread as well!

I got the lox with egg on an everything bagel. The bagel, spicy chive cream cheese and egg were of excellent quality. The letdown was the lox itself. It wasn’t fresh at all and had a strong odour. I’ve eaten lox my whole life and I understand there is a smokey fishy taste but this was not tbat. It just wasn’t fresh and had that old fish odour. I had to take it out to enjoy the rest of my bagel. I also ordered the house made Blueberry Mint Lemonade and it was delicious. Id come back for the egg and cheese bagels next time.

We tried this spot for the first time on Saturday morning and the egg & cheese bagels were just okay. Honestly, we’ve had better bagels in Columbus. The wait was insane and may be normal for any Short North restaurant/cafe —about 20 minutes in line to order, plus another 20 minutes to finally get our food. Parking can be tricky; you might get lucky finding a free parking spot in their parking lot otherwise there’s paid street parking available. Limited seating tables and chairs. The employees were kind enough to bring orders out to customers. Tip: place your order online (about 25–30 minute normal wait) so it’s ready when you arrive.

Middle West Spirits, located at 1230 Courtland Ave., is home to Service Bar, a trendy spot that could easily fit in with the hip scenes of Brooklyn or San Francisco. The bar offers a range of reasonably priced drinks in a stylish retro-industrial setting. Additionally, visitors can savor unique menu items created by chef Avishar Barua, which put an inventive spin on classic junk food using fine-dining techniques and South Asian flavors.
Okay guys. This place blew me away! We did the 2 bourbon/whisky flights on the menu. We were impressed with both. We also had the barrel aged old fashioned which was a nice orange forward drink. We had the winter harvest salad and a walleye appetizer that were both amazing. The pork was THE best pork dish I've ever had (and if you follow me you know I travel a lot and love to eat.) We had apple fritters for dessert and espresso martinis and both were top notch. Our bartender Napoleon gave the absolute best service with extra touches that made our night even more special. We will 100% be back and I'm only sorry we didn't find this place sooner! Hands down my favorite distillery/restaurant in Columbus. Move over Watershed 😉

I highly recommend this tour. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We got to see the distillery process. Samples were ample enough to get a good taste of the product. More samples available in the bottle shop.

Hosted a group of friends at Middle West Spirits and had a fantastic experience. From my first conversation with Melissa, I knew we were in good hands—she was friendly, responsive, and made sure everything went smoothly. We had dinner at the Service Bar in the Distillers Room, which Melissa reserved for us, and everything from the food to the service was top-notch. The distillery tour was a real highlight: informative without dragging on, with a great walkthrough of their process and a delicious tasting at the end featuring their vodka, gin, and bourbon. The bottle shop is beautifully merchandised, with a great selection of spirits, branded accessories, and gift options. Heads-up: The tour is a production facility and can get pretty warm on hot days, so dress accordingly.

Excellent food and drink. Staff is always on point. Chef James is one of the best in Columbus. You're missing out on one of the best meals in Columbus hands down, every time. The changing menu makes sure there is never a boring visit as there are always new things to try

Blown away!!!! Having been to many distilleries and all the big ones, this place has got it figured out. Great tour & tastings. Also, many, many samples to try before you buy as well. A friend/coworker told me about Middle West and we decided to make the 5plus hour trek to Columbus. Glad we did. Came home with 9 bottles and some great memories. Oh and by the way, the food in the restaurant is 5 star cuisine. Can’t wait to return

1) You HAVE to do the distillery tour. It's not super long (about 45 mins.), but is very informative and definitely fun and worth it. The Honey Vanilla Bean Vodka is outstanding. 2) Go eat at their restaurant afterwards. The food is great and they have a wide variety of drinks to enjoy with your food.
Bee L — Google review
Fun tour, though it is very warm inside. Our guide was knowledgeable and I really appreciated being right on the production floor. The tastings of their bourbon, gin, and vodkas was well presented and delicious. We had previously tried their Pumpernickel rye but not their regular bourbon or their gin. The gin is excellent, great nose and flavor profile. Their bourbon was equally great with a nice smoothness though it is young. Their vodka is well done and has none of the harsh bite that is often found with vodka. Their flavor infused vodkas are good as well. Thanks for the tour.

Wow, this place. We had booked a tour of the distillery and managed to get into the restaurant before our tour. My husband said the duck was the best he's ever had. I had the brisket taco which was also incredible. Would love to go back to the Columbus area to try this place again. The tour was also very interesting and you get to taste several different offerings to see what you like and get to see the amazing distillery. Highly recommend it!

Beautiful sweeping entrance leads you into the magic that is A Library. Helpful staff welcome you as you enter into the atrium. There is a coffee shop with food and a gift shop offering stationery, shirts, and other lovely little goodies. The children’s room is a delight. Plenty of space to play with separate restrooms and all kinds of toys and books. There’s lot of private study rooms and cozy corners to hole up and read or work.

Kelli K — Google review
Visited for the Columbus BookFest. I believe this is the third year, though my first time attending. The weather was super hot on Saturday and Sunday, though it also rained on Saturday. The library was awesome, as were the topiary grounds. Very picturesque. There were numerous booths selling books and other merchandise. Many food trucks as well. There were also a LOT of authors, which is the reason for coming. Our primary objective this trip was to meet Matt Dinniman (Dungen Crawler Carl series) who was VERY popular at this event. I'd be willing to bet he was THE MAIN attraction based on crowds, long lines. Though he wasn't meant to sign all day Sunday, he made himself available to do just that, ensuring anyone who wanted to, could have their book signed. Such a great stand-up guy! He went the extra mile and signed while walking around the event too.. which is when my daughter got her books and such signed. Check out the series if you haven't already! The audiobooks are AWESOME. Overall, a very successful event, and worth the trip.

The renovations and additions they have made are so incredibly nice. The Children's area is incredibly special and my kids could've spent all day there. The books are so well organized and the staff was so nice. Columbus is so lucky to have such a beautiful space!

Dick's Den is a legendary dive bar located in the University District of Columbus. It has been a popular spot since the 1960s, known for its live music, particularly jazz and bluegrass performances. The bar offers affordable drinks and a lively atmosphere, attracting a spirited crowd. With weekly beer and liquor specials, it's an ideal place to relax while enjoying local bands. Dick's Den also features a pool table and hosts sophisticated late-night jazz performances.
Was in town visiting and stumbled on this spot. Paid a $5 cover at the door on a Saturday night but it was totally worth it. Jazz-style band crushed it. Came back a few nights later and live music again was great. Cool hang and met some cool people!

This place is a super cool local spot with a great bluegrass pick on Tuesday nights. Chill crowd, cheap drink prices and a good beer selection. Pool table is in the back and lots of covered outdoor space for the smokers. Hidden gem on high St., right next to the iconic Dube (Blue Danube, now back open...)

They don't sell food so I didn't rate them on that. This is an excellent, dark, small, sticky, homey, old, jazz club dive bar. Great music, lots of local history, cheep beer. Would recommend, but only if you are polite and like music.

Brunch restaurant
Emmett's Cafe is a charming Australian-style coffee shop with two locations in Columbus, Ohio. The Old North location, housed in the historic Open Air School building, offers a unique setting for enjoying expertly crafted coffee and thoughtfully prepared breakfast options. From the popular Aussie cap to the handheld breakfast sandwich and hearty breakfast burrito loaded with tater tots, there's something for everyone. This cozy neighborhood cafe also provides ample space to relax and enjoy your food and drink.
We absolutely love Emmett's. The staff is always friendly, the atmosphere is clean and inviting and they have a lot of outdoor seating which is so great. Whether you're getting just a black coffee, a specialty drink, or a tea, you're going to enjoy what they are serving up. The breakfast menu is small, but oh so delicious. I think they have one of my all time favorite breakfast burritos, it's absolutely gigantic! Never had a bad experience here.

Didn’t use the patio because it was chilly for me but inside is super warm and cozy. Staff super friendly and food incredible! Got mocha, drip coffee, breakfast burrito and smoked salmon. Incredible!

Busy but what do you expect on a Sunday morning-coffee was great, I had the salted maple latte with an extra shot and whole milk, wife had a chai with oat milk and we shared the breakfast burrito. We talked about how good the burrito was all the way home. We’ll def be back next week. The avocado was a nice touch.
Noah Y — Google review
We tried this location because it’s closer to us, but I won’t be coming back. The Neil St. location is miles better in every way. Here, the portions are noticeably smaller! my oatmeal was literally half the size compared to Neil St location, yet the price is the same. They only provide to-go cups and packaging even for dining in, which feels inconvenient and a bit cheap. Even the “one-handed sandwich” wasn’t the same as what we’ve had before. Hopefully, management takes feedback like this seriously, because right now this spot doesn’t hold up to their other location!
Collab N — Google review
I was excited to try this place but after our service and experience, i was very disappointed. My friend and I went early in the morning on a Sunday and it wasn’t very busy at all. We chose to sit outside at their back patio and specifically told them we were not taking our food to go and we wanted to eat there. We received our food in a paper bag. No plates, no boxes, nothing. I ordered the breakfast burrito and i asked for the sauce to be on the side and surprise there was no sauce included and it wasn’t in the burrito. I went inside to ask for some boxes and the barista had a sassy attitude with me for no reason at all. For how much they charge for their food and them asking for a tip, i would expect better service. Their food portions are small as well. Nothing special at all. Maybe visit their other location but this one was not it.
Megi — Google review
Food is good, coffee is decent, service needs work. There's a night and day difference in the customer service when the girl is behind the counter. The guy is always sighing and in a bad mood and talks to you like you're a problem for visiting the establishment. Cooks can also be heard in the kitchen making fun of people for what they order. It happened to me once and then I heard it happen to someone else while waiting for coffee another time. Gave the place multiple tries - won't be back.
Maxwell V — Google review
I was totally blown away by the lox. It was incredibly delicious! The Emmything was also an absolute highlight—you can tell they put a lot of love and high-quality ingredients into everything. A fair warning, though: This place is extremely popular and has very limited seating. Be prepared to stand in line for a while, but don't let that discourage you! It is worth every minute of the wait.

Pretty cool little barcade with a good amount of classics. Games are free with a purchase. Marble madness, frogger, pacman, tmnt, klax, tons, centipede of stuff for the small size of the bar. They have a few of those consoles where it has preloaded games. Think somethings wrong with the sega controllers because it was glitching bad, but super fun to play road rash, streets of rage, it's got a full loadout. I think there's an sns and there was another console but I didn't see what it was. Draft selection was fair and service was alright. Altogether if you're into arcades I recommend this little place.
H — Google review
It was pretty dead when we got there, but honestly I was excited about that as it gave us free rein. Drink concepts were pretty funny… like the Hulk Hogan or the Carrie Fisher. We had some under 21 year olds with us, but they are okay accompanied by someone 18+ until 9pm. After the initial excitement wore off, several of the machines weren’t working which was a bit of a bummer. If you want to play pinball, you have to pay for those unlike the arcade games which are free with drinks. (Kinda like Vegas😂). It was a fun experience overall and would probably go back.

I was super excited to check this place out. I love the concept but sadly me and my friend were charged then recharged a different price for our drinks. My drink went from $10.75 to $13.57! My friends went from $11 to $16! My drink was weak. I never felt anything. First time I have EVER experienced this. Then some people brought in some rowdy kids on site. The place isn't that big. The fact someone brought in young children running around and screaming was just too much. Lord can adults for once have a place like this to ourselves 🤷🏾‍♀️ They do have a great selection of classic games.

I've actually been here twice but it's always such a fun experience. We went tonight and it was not packed like it was the last time so we were able to play smash bros on the Nintendo. They have a lot of games to choose from and some behind the bar. I got the game over (which comes with a free glass) & and a hulk Hogan which comes with a popsicle in it, everyone I was with was so excited just to be there. Always a good time ❤️

LADIES BE CAREFUL HERE!!!!! While my friend was in line for pizza on the outdoor patio, a man behind her grabbed her unprovoked so aggressively he broke her bracelet and left visible bruising (he assumed she had cut in line, but she did not). He didn’t let go until she started yelling at him. When security approached us, they let the man go without question and berated my friend for “causing a scene.” Women, please be safe and conscious of your surroundings here at all times!! The security will let men do as they please with no repercussions. Sad excuse for a bar and the “men” they let work here as security.

Located at 2591 N High St in Columbus, OH, it's a great spot for an entertaining night out with friends. The bar features a wide variety of well-maintained games and a fun patio area with a mural and life-size Jenga.
My husband and I absolutely love Old North Arcade! It’s the perfect blend of nostalgia and fun with a great bar vibe. We tried the Teenage Mutant Turtle-themed cocktail, and it was fantastic—definitely a must-try! They also have a good selection of beer, which is great if cocktails aren’t your thing. The best part is that some of the games are on free play, though there are some you need to pay for. They have a machine for coins, but we found it’s easier to just bring your own. Overall, it’s a great spot for a fun night out, whether you’re a gamer or just looking for a unique place to hang out. Highly recommend!

What an absolute nostalgic gem! Stepping into Old Arcade Bar felt like jumping back into the golden age of gaming. From Pac-Man to Street Fighter, every classic arcade game was free to play, making it easy to lose track of time in the best way possible. The atmosphere was electric – we even got to play our own music by paying just $1 per song, which added a personal touch to the whole experience. The bar staff was super friendly; I had a great chat with the server who clearly loved the place as much as we did. And the prices? Surprisingly budget-friendly. You could easily spend hours here with friends without breaking the bank. Highly recommend for game lovers, retro fans, or anyone just looking to have a great time.

Located in the heart of Columbus, Ohio, the Old North Arcade welcomes gamers and nostalgia enthusiasts alike. As you approach, you'll be greeted by an iconic mural adorning the building, hinting at the excitement that awaits inside. A nostalgic haven featuring classic games like air hockey, Mortal Kombat, and Donkey Kong - but wait, there's more! They've ingeniously repurposed an old vault to house Tron, illuminating the controller to make you feel like you’ve stumbled on the gem just as Flynn did. They also offer game-inspired alcoholic drinks such as iridescent Mermaid Tears, Yoshi’s Island, and Hagrid’s Butterbeer making it a truly unique experience. Operating hours provide ample time to immerse yourself in retro gaming bliss.

Great place to take out-of-town visitors, especially those that played these videogames in their youth. The game selection was enough to keep everyone happy with sheer nostalgia and genuine fun. Themed drinks were okay, but I'm a simple person with simple needs. Make sure you wash your grimy paws though before eating after gaming here (or anywhere, honestly). Take that as both advice and a warning!

Super kid friendly on Sunday afternoon and still fully functional adult beverage station (aka bar). This is an awesome twist on the newer gaming places and I would add it is fantastic. They don't serve food on Sunday, but so allow you to bring food in!!! The staff is friendly and the gaming is exceptional. Pinball is cheap and honestly, the drinks are on par with any place out there. The building is well air conditioned and has a great vibe. The music wasn't too loud and there was plenty of seating available. They had a multi room layout so it wasn't overly loud in any one area. So glad we had a rainy summer day that washout our baseball plans and we happened to be close! We will most certainly be back!

Super cool game selections. The reason we chose this place over others is because this place allegedly closes at 12 and others closed at 11. Unfortunately the games started to be turned off around 10:50 and by 11:05 they were all but a few turned off. If we would have known this was the case we would have chosen an arcade closer to us that closed at 11.

Went to columbus for a show & this arcade may have been the highlight of the whole trip. We had so much fun here. Before this, I never knew how bad I needed to crush a big greasy slice of pizza after getting my butt kicked at tekken & then kicking butt at guitar hero. My only gripe is that the CarnEvil cabinet was down & I’ve been on the hunt for that game for years. Maybe it’ll be fixed when we come back. 🤞🏼

Erika was absolutely amazing. She was patient with me even though I am terrible at axe throwing. She followed up a party of three and myself with a party of 20 all by herself without missing a beat while bartending and teaching tips to all the newcomers. This place is fantastic. We stumbled on this place a few years ago when we visited from Vegas and made it a point to come back when we visited again. Amazing job.

I scheduled and paid for a party here and I had to cancel and the owner said it was no problem he'd refund my money. This happened almost a month ago and I've called and emailed with no reply. So now I an out almost $90. Will not be doing business here again.

Came here for a bachelor party. It was a lot of our first time throwing axes and our instructor did a good job of explaining it to us. Once we got the hang of throwing it became a lot more fun (personally 1 handed throwing was more accurate & fun). there's food in house so if you're hungry you can order food or get food nearby. My only complaint was that once it started getting busy it was harder to get a drink due to the bartender is also the axe throwing instructor. Overall I would come back again sometime maybe as a date with my partner. Edit: didn't know there was food on site, review has been corrected

Erica is the best. She taught me patiently and I still sucked. But that's not the point. She's an awesome host and she single handedly handles everything. She's a one woman show. We had such a great time and I can say I wanna come back here Everytime I'm in Columbus because of Erica's hospitality. Don't miss a chance to throw axes, tell some axe jokes and have a good time. It's the best time to have with a fun group. Thanks Erica!

Fun and unique date night option in Columbus. The entrance is to a Sports Park near the back side of The Continent. Look for the Axe Throwing sign ... door is to the left if you’re facing the building & pool. Reservations are required and you sign a waiver on arrival. No worries because they ensure guests are safe and the environment is controlled and maintained. Rex was our resident guide/emcee/lead for the evening. He kept the pace going and was encouraging and helpful especially with first-timers like me. I was comfortable and had a lot of fun interacting with others in the group. There are 12 people in each group and games are played to make things entertaining. A Lumber Lord is crowned at the end of the session. This made for a great date night event and would also be fun for a team building activity. Age restrictions and guidelines are found on their website. I will happily visit again.

I'm still not entirely sure that combing the drinking of alcohol and the throwing of axes is a great idea but we sure had a fun time doing it. The staff was awesome and made it a really great experience. Shout out to our red headed 'axepert' who guided us through 3 fun and competitive games. She also made sure everyone was safe and that nobody got the axe.

We had such a great time throwing axes! We hung out at the bar and had a round of drinks before our throwing time, then did our tutorial and then had an hour of fantastic fun! It was such a great time and so reasonable. Can’t wait to go back!

The venue is known for its lively atmosphere and popular dishes like the famous grilled cheese sandwich. Additionally, the area features various dining options such as Spanish tapas at Barcelona, Italian cuisine at Basi Italia and Marcella's, as well as organic offerings at Northstar Cafe with vegan and vegetarian choices.
A Short North Gem for Beer Lovers and Foodies Alike Nestled in the vibrant Short North Arts District, Bodega truly stands out as a neighborhood staple. It's the kind of place that effortlessly blends a lively bar atmosphere with seriously good food, making it a perfect spot whether you're looking for a casual happy hour or a delicious brunch. Their brunch, in particular, gets rave reviews, with options like the "Bodega 'Big Mic'" and Steak & Egg Tacos often highlighted. Even their "bar snacks" are elevated, and while the tables can be a bit small for a full spread, the quality makes up for it. For dinner, you'll find everything from a classic burger to Thai Peanut Bowls and Shrimp 'N Cheddar Grits, showcasing a diverse and appealing menu. The atmosphere is consistently described as lively and fun, with an intimate setting that's great for celebrations or just catching up with friends. The staff is known for being friendly and attentive, contributing to a memorable visit. In a neighborhood known for its eclectic mix of galleries, boutiques, and diverse dining, Bodega holds its own as a must-visit. I visited Bodega on a Saturday night with friends. The staff were friendly and attentive. They assisted us with finding a table when we booked a reservation incorrectly. The restaurant decor was nice. The food was good as well. The Buffalo Chicken Dip was an 8/10. I would give the Cripsy Chicken Sandwich (Nashville Hot Chicken Style) a 7/10. I liked the sauce but the chicken itself wasn’t very well seasoned, though it was nicely cooked. The fries were an 8/10 with a good balance of crispiness and flavor. The Moscow Mule was also an 8/10. The taste was good. I didn’t feel as much of a buzz as I usually do with a mule, but that could have been due to me drinking my cocktail a little slower than usual. I would order the drink again. A few critiques are that they were out of white wine and therefore couldn’t make a drink one of my friends was interested in. They also switched the vibe of the restaurant around 10 o’clock. It took on more of a bar/club scene. Staff stationed themselves at the door and began checking people’s I.D.’s prior to entry and a DJ started playing really loud music that made it difficult to hear one another as we talked at our table. This wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. The DJ sounded good. It just wasn’t the setting we were looking for. It would have been nice if the staff would have communicated this switch to us a few minutes prior or when we arrived, so we’d have a heads up. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and I would return.

Bodega is a really solid brunch spot, and the prices are fair for what you get. We went on a Saturday around 10:15 a.m. (they open at 10), and while our black coffee took a little longer than expected — they had just run out of filters — the staff fixed it pretty quickly. Everything else was great. The chicken and waffles were amazing, and the biscuits and gravy were full of flavor. Definitely a tasty spot for brunch.
A D — Google review
Great location in the short north for people watching. Oh do not forget to make a reservation beforehand otherwise you'll have to wait as the restaurant is quite cozy with limited tables and seats.
Hong Q — Google review
We went there to try out the new brunch and my friend and I both got the $12 grilled cheese, she got hers with fries, I did mine with tomato soup. The grilled cheese came out and it only had cheese in between the white bread. It didn’t have any basil, aioli, or tomato basil bread as the menu mentioned. (I included pictures). The soup given was also in a mini container, much smaller than their $3 deal. When we told our waitress about the grilled cheeses missing the ingredients, she went back to the chef and when she came back she had two aiolis in the side for us to use. She said that the chef insisted they were made right, when clearly they weren’t. We paid $24 plus tax and tip for a basic grilled cheese when we ordered ‘their bodega specialty’. The waitress even stated that we were in the right and that the food was wrong. Not sure what can be done, but really unfortunate as we were trying to celebrate my bday. There were also a ton of flies everywhere and one even landed on my bowl which really sucked. I included pictures to see if anything could be done, because we clearly didn’t get what we ordered.

The food here is great! I love Sunday brunch best chicken and waffles I have ever had (imo). Just make sure to arrive before 2pm as the kitchen closes for one hour from 3-4pm. Also in my opinion they do get short staffed when they get busy. There has been a few times it’s taken quit a long time to wait for the food and also the server may not check back after delivery of the food and I have had to flag them down for the check on more than one occasion. I don’t fault them as it’s a small place and gets full really fast at brunch.
The 6 — Google review
I liked the vibe of this place and the food was so good, too. We came on a Saturday when brunch was being served and I thought it was a wide range of options, so anyone could find something they like. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. It did feel a tiny bit pricey for what we got, but I think everything in Columbus is that way. We would definitely come back again when we are in the area!
McKenzie C — Google review
Really bummed. This place used to be great. They changed the menu recently. The brunch is all sugary, fried food. They used to have healthier and more savory options as well as fruit. Neither bathroom (men or women) had toilet paper, the women’s was out of soap, and the whole thing was just really unappealing.

The Scioto Mile Fountain is a captivating water feature located in Columbus, Ohio. It is the focal point of the Bicentennial Park and Scioto Mile, which offers 253 acres of picturesque parkland and various attractions. The fountain spans 15,000 square feet and boasts over 1,000 spraying jets that propel water up to 75 feet into the air.
Great place for your little ones and family tiny trip. Couldn’t take picture of the fountain it self since it was filled with kids. The surroundings of the actual fountain is present. Clean and plenty of trash disposals around. Seats are spacious and bench/steps are present. Plenty of space even when crowded. The mists from the ring tower felt good with the hot sun and cool breeze

At the time I went, it looked more like a leaky faucet than a fountain. But it has potential. I can see how when the water is really running, this could be a fun spot for kids or couples.

Brothers Drake Meadery is a popular spot in Columbus, known for its locally sourced honey-based wines and mead-based libations. Founded in 2007 by the Drake brothers, it has evolved into a full bar with live music, offering the best mead in the Short North Arts District. The meadery also features specialty cocktails, Ohio-made beers and wines. Visitors can explore a variety of honey-based meads while enjoying jazz music on Wednesdays and other musical events.
My husband and I received the mead tour as a Christmas gift. We used it as a date night and had an amazing time! It was an excellent tour, very informative, lots of free samples, very high quality products with ohio sourced apples and honey! We ended up buying two bottles which run around $25 each! It is a family owned business with only two employees! So they put in a lot of work to make the amount of Mead that they produce. Will definitely recommend to all family and friends and will be returning! Stop by you won’t be disappointed!

Nice little meadery in Columbus. I visited on 03/01 a Saturday afternoon. It was clean and esthetically pleasing. Kayla behind the bar was friendly and informative. She was very knowledgeable, and even made some great suggestions on what meads to try. I left having sampled roughly 10 different meads, and bought a bottle of the Wild Ohio. I highly recommend this meadery, and plan on returning in the near future.
Bruce S — Google review
We stopped here on our way to Blue Jackets game. They have a GREAT selection of meads and the tasting room really puts you into the production (you can see the bottles and tanks) My favorite was Strong Arm and I bought a bottle. I will definitely be back when in area again
Kaelynn M — Google review
Neat place with a good selection of mead. Unfortunately after trying so much, I don't think I like mead. They offer tours though which could be fun. The entrance is the little door on the side of the building.

I visited Brothers Drake Meadery this weekend during a day trip from Cleveland. The Brothers Drake Meadery is a wonderful wine bar and tasting room with a delightful staff, (huge shout out to Mendi (Mendy?) She was super friendly and incredibly nice during the visit) tasteful decor, available board games, and most importantly stellar mead. My partner and I sampled a flight of meads and found the seasonal Purple Haze to be a particular favorite. Overall I would recommend Brothers Drake Meadery to be a fantastic stop on your Columbus trips and a tasteful experience I am sure to repeat.
Joseph H — Google review
We had a great time on the tour! Andrew was really knowledgeable and friendly and explained everything in a way that was easy to grasp. Plus, he stayed around for the tasting and made recommendations, told us about each mead's process and flavor profile. We had a great time and stayed after the tasting to get some bottles to take home. I highly recommend this tour! We will be back again, it seems like a fun casual place to hang out and the we will try the flights so we can keep working our way through the menu.

Update 6/25: The billiard table and dartboard have been removed and replaced with more seating in the back area. Added photos. Original: Loved my time here. The service was exceptional, and they have a billiard table as well as a dart board. Got 2 flights, left with a bottle of summer queen and a bottle of battleaxe. Only recommendation I have is corks for all bottles as my summer queen had a cap and I deformed it when removing. It's no biggie, I just want to savor it because it was my favorite and is a seasonal. I put a cork in it. Their meads were primarily light (as in not heavy) meads with typical abv around 14%. They had bourbon barrell varieties, which were quite good. Pretty diverse selection there. There were of course meads in the flights that weren't my digs, but I'm quite happy with my selection. I'll be back, thank you!
H — Google review
This was my first time visting the meadery. I signed up for the tour that was to start at 2pm. In your reservation email you are asked to arrive a few minutes early, which i did. I liked being offered a tasting right away. However, i did not appreciate the tour not starting until after 2:15pm. The tour was packed with information. I also liked how the tour finished with some samples of my choosing. I did purchase a bottle to take home. I paid with cash. The lady working took my money, did not give me my mead nor change. She went about helping other people. I had to remind her i paid and needed my change and mead

Cocktail bar
The Citizens Trust is hosting Miracle, a festive Christmas bar that will be open until December 30th. The upscale bar features Santa-themed cocktails served in holiday mugs, surrounded by Christmas decorations such as a 14-foot-tall inflatable igloo and twinkling lights. With its soaring ceilings and elegant ambiance, this former bank turned bar maintains high standards similar to its sibling restaurant Veritas downstairs. During the holiday season, it transforms into Miracle, offering batched seasonal cocktails and old-school Christmas decor.
Update 6/25: Still has a billiard table but only 1 cue, no talc, and no accoutrements like a bridge. Hope they replace them. Less special listed items this time around. The drinks I had were good, definitely less creative options this time around, but the cocktails were still very good and supported charity. Added photos. Original: Venue is gorgeous. Music did not vibe at all with environment. Put you on some Boswell sisters some afternoons. Paradise city was going a little too hard for this elegant mix of decades of the early to mid 20th century. Anyway, drinks were amazing and had billiards. The price is very high, though, so it's unfortunately not something I can frequent. Food I had the pita and spread. Okay this was awesome but 15 bucks 1 piece of pita is just doing us dirty. I'll definitely be back - beautiful profiles in the drinks.
H — Google review
My first time check out this place, it was their holiday pop up. I had been to other Miracle pop ups, but this one was the most underwhelming. The space itself is beautiful, with large windows and wonderful architecture. The holiday decorations though were not quite in abundance like others (just some inflatables, one of which blocks most of the space and string lights and garland around the bar). My drink was good, but it was served in a plastic solo cup even though the menus made it seem like it should be in the Dinosaur tiki mug. Other Miracle events all use the expected themed cups. Along with that, their ordering system is not well thought. They give a ticket and call your number, but it’s too loud in the bar to hear anything so our drinks were just sitting in attended on the bar opposite to where we were standing for an undetermined amount of time. All of this left me feeling disappointed in my experience and we left after just one drink. I’d like to go back without the pop up to give them a more fair shake, but they really need to revamp this experience if they want me to recommend it to others. The Overlook Lodge in Cincinnati does Miracle the best in my opinion.

Love this place. Currently serving a pop-up Halloween themed bar 'Lagoon' 🍸 at The Citizen's Trust. Excellent service as always and great drinks. Happy Hour 4-7pm!

A shout out to the best 7-9 PM happy hour downtown, with the greatest employees. A very special thanks to beverage director Brandon and bartender Steve who saved my life by finding and preserving my purse when I left it there on a Saturday night -- and even responding to my frantic email on a SUNDAY to make sure that I knew it was safe and sound. Citizens has the best cocktails in a gorgeous environment -- and now I know their employees are top notch as well.
Julie K — Google review
This place has so much potential. The "special" drink menus and decor at Christmas and now Halloween are abysmal. You literally have the most beautiful and sophisticated bar space in the city. The Christmas decor was so tacky. (Think lawn inflatables). The vibe could be upscale hotel at Christmas but instead it's Clark Griswold. Now the same is true of Halloween decor. We always bring our out of town guests here before or after dinner. Always met with great reviews, but the seasonal decor takes away rather than add to the experience.

Stopped in for a drink only. Tried the classic Daiquiri and the classic Hurricane. Both were professionally prepared and served. Fun atmosphere sitting on an old bank where ppl used to cash paper checks. Big high ceiling added to the feel. We walked there a o no info on parking. Server was fantastic as he chatted with us about places we all lived.

Great atmosphere. Drinks are creative and delicious. Food comes from Veritas- which is connected to the bar- and is always to notch.

What is there to say about The Citizens? This is the best cocktail bar in Columbus by far. We end up here every week, as if we were attracted by some weird magnetic force. The lead bartender, Chris, is incredibly knowledgeable about spirits and food. The rest of the bar staff are also very skilled! Jacob always recommends interesting drinks and is happy to have a conversation about art and current events. Emma makes killer drinks! Her drinks are on point and she makes good puns lol Anna is a treasure-trove of information about restaurants in Columbus. We’ve tried everything on the menu. The menu is rotating and high quality, so it’s always a good time to get a drink and a bite to eat! The cocktail menu changes occasionally but they always have classics on there, including the best old fashioned either of us have ever had made by Chris and the best Negroni made by Emma. All of their custom cocktails are worth a try! Our favorite foods are the bread and spread, and the jamon ibérico de bellota. Those are both going to rotate eventually, but everything on the menu is delicious! The Citizens is well worth checking out and we are sure it will be your favorite in Columbus!
