North Market Downtown is a covered farmers' market offering a wide array of products such as flowers, produce, and handicrafts. It's also a hub for global dining options with influences from various countries like Somalia, El Salvador, Mexico, Yemen, and Vietnam. The market features over 30 vendors including butchers, bakers, grocers, and restaurants. Visitors can enjoy farm-to-table fare and innovative dishes created by talented chefs.
Definitely the best market in cbus! You can get food and goods from many different cultures like African, Italian, polish, French, Chinese, etc. The noodle bar is fantastic, great local honey, and a pretty expansive wine and beer store. Great vibes and pleasant people all around

I have visited north market to get some dinner when I was in Columbus. I went there twice actually. They have a variety of food options to consider including Jeni’s ice cream! I got some pizza and some ice cream during one visit and enjoyed the food! Specifically the ice cream! On my next visit, I got food from Hoyo’s and it was very tasty too! There is an eating area one floor above with lots of chairs and tables. It closes at 7 PM (when I went there in August), so I had to check the timing a little carefully. It was easily accessible from my hotel by walk.
Vyshnavi V — Google review
What a fantastic place! So much good food! A lovely jewelry vendor, flowers, oils, cheese! Was our first time visiting and we will be back. Nice and close parking garage. Be sure to get your receipt for parking garage from the vendor you buy from. This is good for one hour of parking. Highly recommend North Market for a bite to eat and some local shopping.
Mary C — Google review
If I could leave a higher rating i definitely would. I went there with my boyfriend for the first time and my eyes immediately lit up! The food looked absolutely amazing, the pricing was way better than I had expected. The wait time for the food wasn’t nearly as long as I had anticipated. I will definitely be going back as many times as I’m able! I recommend the Birria tacos, 3 tacos for $14! As a bonus you are able to sit and overlook the whole place!
Madisyn H — Google review
First time here; quaint little place downtown. Great for new finds of food, coffees, oils / spices, desserts. Has a variety of cuisines, there is something for everyone. Seating indoor and outdoor, perfect for a lazy weekend or to meet with friends. Parking validation offered from one of the vendors I purchased from but didn’t accept when leaving garage. This would be the only downside - which could have been a fluke. Can’t wait to go back!
Ms. S — Google review
Neat place. Lots of variety. Lines weren’t too long during lunch. Loved the upstairs seating. Would have liked napkins there too.
Ninette — Google review
North Market in Columbus is a foodie paradise with an amazing array of flavors and cuisines! From coffee to Italian, pho, ramen, Mexican, Indian, African, Mediterranean, and even oysters, there's something for everyone. Just a heads-up: it closes at 5 PM on Mondays, so plan accordingly! The air-conditioned space was a blessing on a hot day, although shopping options for gifts were limited—except for a great card store. I was bummed that Foxes Bagels was closed, as I've heard great things! Overall, a vibrant spot worth exploring! 🌟
Kerri F — Google review
Love this market! So many choices for food, or gifts, or whatever you crave. This reminds me of a European style market. Great place to grab a quick bite.

Katalina's in Harrison West is a casual cafe that offers down-home breakfasts, soups, salads, and sandwiches. The place has a fun atmosphere and is known for its uniquely delicious food. One of their famous dishes is the Shagbark Black Bean Soup which offers heartiness without being too thick. Another popular dish is the Mazatlan Slow-Roasted Pork & Egg.
Wow. Just wow. I am from Philly was there visiting my friend and looked this place up. Had no idea I'd walk into a space that took me back to one of my now closed, local places in Philly, Sketch Burger. i love a good art space and they provide paint markers for you to leave a mark while you wait for your ridiculously delicious food. Me and my friends shared the dulce pancake balls, that were out of this world! i had that pork sandwich they are famous for and damn I tasted why. And that purple potato hash is no joke either. On top of the friendly atmosphere and staff, they got a tasty local coffee brewing and tons of great swag for purchase too. 10/10 will be return when I am back in town!

This place is so frikken cool and the food was delicious. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. It looked super small at first but it was surprisingly comfortable. Also did I mention the food was amazing!? Highly recommend and dont forget to leave your mark while you're there!
Jessica B — Google review
Always a great place to visit. The food is delicious no matter what you decide to choose. You really can't beat the sweet & spicy bacon. I highly recommend getting an order with any of their menu items. The Nutella Pancake balls are also good. They can be a little rich tasting for those that aren't a fan of Nutella, but they offer seasonal and a variety of flavors for the pancake balls. The restaurant has a very cool atmosphere but it has very limited seating inside. There is plenty of outside seating for larger groups when the weather is nice.
Jacob W — Google review
Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were nice and we didn’t have to wait long for our food even with it being so busy. It was my first time here and I had heard so many things about their pancake balls. They looked great, but were extremely overrated. There was barely any filling in them and tasted very bland. On the other hand, their fresh orange juice and sweet n’ spicy bacon were delicious. I would definitely come back just for those two, but not the pancake balls. Seemed a little too pricey as well.
Bella I — Google review
Awesome atmosphere, kind attitudes, and great food! The Hibiscus tea was soothing and the Hens in a basket chefs kiss🤌🏽. Coming all the way from San Antonio Texas will definitely recommend to my fellow travelers and will be coming back soon! Thank you for the awesome experience and letting me draw on your walls.
Steven D — Google review
If you are a fan of pancakes, @katalinascafe is the place to go in Columbus, OH. They have really good American-Latin fusion brunch. They are very popular for their pancake balls; I had their Dulce de Leche pancake balls, which looked tasty and tasted even tastier with their cup of syrup on the side. I personally think that their sweet spicy bacon is the star of the menu, is the perfect combination of sweet and spicy, and it was perfectly cooked. They also have their own homemade drinks. I recommend their Horchata and orange juice. It is a very small establishment so you might struggle with getting a table or parking. Great staff and great atmosphere.
Rachel E — Google review
Disappointed. I’ve seen this place be so popular. I ordered food online to take home (I live 6.5 hours away) and it wasn’t ready when it said it would be. No big deal but the biggest disappointment finding that my pancake balls had no filling at all. It was too late for me to turn around and say something at this point. Will not be coming back.
Cee — Google review
Okay. Let’s just talk about the Pancake Balls for just a minute…. Such awesome innovation and absolutely delicious. We were there first thing in the morning when they opened, and the whole staff was ready for us with a smile. Monica took our order and brought the food, and she is absolutely awesome. Friendly, patient and welcoming. The breakfast tacos were out of this world and the service was outstanding!!! Highly recommend this place…

Italian restaurant
Basi Italia is a charming Italian restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, offering a cozy and casual dining experience with a seasonal menu featuring locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant's intimate setting and innovative twist on traditional Northern Italian dishes make it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. With an inviting patio and steaming plates of sumptuous food, Basi Italia provides a relaxed atmosphere where friends and neighbors can gather to enjoy good wine and conversation.
Such a gem! We booked a reservation and staff was excellent at keeping us up to date as our original reservation had a wait list. After a few days they let us know we could sit inside which worked for us. Parking could be difficult as there is mostly parallel on street parking nearby but they do have an option for valet which was about the same cost as parking anyways. Inside dining is a bit tight but it works as we were all comfortable at our table. We didn't go to the patio but next time we'd like to give that a try. The food was fantastic. I'm so glad we have an actual Italian restaurant to go to besides the big chains. I had the lamb which was amazing and cooked perfectly. Appetizers were great and so was the dessert. Take a look at some of the photos and start drueling! We will definitely be coming back!
Kevin M — Google review
Basi was by far one of the best recommendations we’ve ever gotten. From start to finish, everything we tried was incredible. We started with the grilled artichoke carpaccio, and honestly, we are still trying to find the words to describe how amazing it was. Just unforgettable. We also had the mussels, which were perfectly cooked and full of flavor, however, the broth could use more seasoning. For mains, the butter-poached cod was exactly that: buttery in the best way. Every bite was rich and delicious. We also had the NY Strip Steak, which was a menu special. We ordered it medium rare but it came out rare — but that made it even better. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the pepper on top had this sweet and salty balance that worked so well. Dessert was lemon ricotta gelato and cannolis, always a win. The only small downside was that the space felt a bit hot and loud, and the chairs weren’t the most comfortable, but the food was so good it didn’t really matter. We’ll definitely be back… mostly because we can’t stop thinking about that artichoke.
A D — Google review
We had an awesome experience at Basi Italia! The atmosphere is truly so dreamy out on the patio, the service is really great and food comes out fast- their dishes are playful with truly fantastic flavors! I will say that I think if they were able to make their pasta fresh from scratch in house, that would definitely bring their pasta game to the next level- overall, a neighborhood gem! Excellent food and service. Went on a humid evening and patio could've used another fan. Looking forward to 2nd visit. Lamb chops were amazing!
Gregory O — Google review
Wonderful evening! Its been 20 years, but Basi still exceeds all expectations. MJ provided fabulous service. The Parmesan brulee was decadent, though you will need more crostinis. The lamb and eggplant parm were amazing. The special was a pork chop. It was a bit dry, but the mashed potatoes with fennel made up for it. I highly recommend the sangria, especially paired with the patio and people watching. I will not wait another 20 years til my next visit.
Æyrton A — Google review
What A great neighborhood restaurant with a beautiful covered patio space in the back. The complimentary bread service to start with was phenomenal. We shared five appetizers - mussels, artichoke carpaccio, zucchini, Parmesan brûlée, caesar salad - and they were all great. Everyone loved their pastas, while I went with the lamb chops which were cooked perfectly. I highly recommend Basi Italian!
Michael C — Google review
Delicious! The zucchini starter was our favorite part, definitely recommend that. The artichoke starter also looked delicious, will be trying that next time we go. The focaccia bread with truffle oil that they bring out is also amazing, so unique, unlike any focaccia I’ve ever had. For mains we got the shrimp risotto special (which was just okay), and the eggplant parmesan (which was good). The patio ambience was quaint and cozy.
Mackenzie B — Google review
Unique location! (In an alley, in a small former house, with every indoor and outdoor space utilized) We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners, wine, and ambiance. Easy to see why reservations are a must!! We will dine here again. Our server Andrew and manager Drew, were very knowledgeable and attentive.

Sandwich shop
Lunch restaurant
Cravings Café is a local specialty sandwich shop located in the downtown area of a city. The food is delicious, with ingredients that come from close to home. The staff are friendly and quick, making it an easy place to get your lunch fix. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, perfect for catching up with some friends over a sandwich or breakfast dish.
Small spot downtown with great sandwiches and very friendly staff. It appears that all ingredients are extremely fresh. My BLT and home fries were fantastic My wife enjoyed a craving club. Will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone
Chris N — Google review
The "Old Bay" tuna sandwich was heavily lacking flavor and it was not a good value for $10 (go to Subway). Home fries, very well fried. Service was slightly slower than the typical downtown vendors during lunch. Food was fresh and made to order.
B H — Google review
The food I’ve had is interesting and good! However, for someone who orders for pickup on a short lunch break, the timing of the orders being ready and available to grab by the predicted time is not consistent enough (appears to be an understaffing issue which I know must be really hard to navigate). I will also say I have asked for condiments and utensils multiple times (which is an option in their online store) and have never once received them, which is extremely frustrating. Utensils don’t appear to be available in the dining room either. As many places utilize, they really need a spot that’s dedicated to picking up orders for bags that are ready, because having just one person to hand out orders (which requires taking names), take dining room orders, and then deliver dining room orders to tables does not work when a line is out the door. If your food is truly ready by its predicted time and it’s just sitting there out of reach because you have to wait in line for someone to take your name and hand it to you, that is very frustrating and defeats the pickup purpose. The main woman who staffs the front is always super polite and does a great job at acknowledging you even if she can’t be with you, which is huge! She keeps her cool and is so professional. I just need something a little more predictable than this if I’m going out of my way to get lunch on a workday.
S. R — Google review
Incredible food, although I am a bit heartbroken that breakfast is no longer served, because the burrito was incredible. All the food is great, haven't had anything from Cravings that wasn't. Amazing service, amazing people, amazing food, give them your business!
Dillon D — Google review
Very yummy little gem! I was glad to find this place as it was very convenient to the location I was working for the day. The smash burger was yummy!!!! And so was the pasta salad “feature of the week.” The prices for the main entrees were actually quite reasonable. Under $10 for the burger! However, the sides are where they get ya, so I wouldn’t recommend one unless you have the money to blow ($5 for pasta salad or fries – 1/2 the price of the main entree!) Friendly customer service and nice interior features. I would return here, happily.

Understory offers a unique dining experience in the canopy along the Olentangy River, making it perfect for a date night or family meal during winter. The restaurant features a new Winter menu with original favorites like the Cubano and seasonal offerings such as SMores Pudding and Tofu Ramen Bowl. The venue is housed in an old TB school, providing an interesting atmosphere with different seating options on separate levels.
I’ve been obsessed with Understory for quite a bit. I love the uniqueness of the building architecture and the original elements that remain throughout. I wanted a more moody vibe for our October wedding and it was the perfect setting. I was thrilled when the Fieldhouse event space upstairs was available. Haley was super helpful and answered any questions I had. I was able to customize the menu to fit our needs and it was the perfect day for our intimate wedding. The space felt very cozy - we had around 80 guests. We got so many compliments about our day. It was perfect and I wish I could experience it all again! I do recommend having a solid plan for setup/cleanup since you can’t leave decor overnight.
Tanisha P — Google review
I’ve been meaning to come here since the concept started being talked about years ago. Beautiful day and wanted to sit on a patio, this place came to mind. Beautiful old converted building, we opted to go to the commons area. The layout makes perfect sense, and I would say is the gold standard of counter service set-ups. The menu is smaller, but by no means small. The terrace is absolutely beautiful with plenty of seating and this patio is IDEAL for people who want to bring their furry friends with them. The cocktails are a little pricey for the counter service setup, but tasty none the less. They have all of the Wolfsridge favorites on draft and in cans too. There’s not much too to comment on in terms of service since it’s not a full service experience, just a few people looking bored behind a counter. The appetizers were adequately portioned and really good. I’m looking forward to returning and trying the different floors of the concept.

I had my wedding at Understory about a week ago. We had a total of 60 people, and the space was the perfect size. Planning the wedding with Haley was easy and stress-free. On the day of, the coordinator and banquet captain were helpful and amazing. The best part of this venue is that it is beautiful as-is, so I did not have to decorate that much— I just added some simple flowers and candles. All of my guests complimented the venue and said they had a great time. I highly recommend having your wedding here: It is an elegant space and the staff is friendly and professional. Thank you Understory!
Meredith P — Google review
My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the private event space on the 2nd floor. We rented out the venue for the entire day, had a wonderful brunch and such a fun reception! Haley helped us plan our entire event and we can’t say enough great things about her. The staff who helped the day run smoothly were wonderful, calming, flexible, and professional. The food was delicious and drinks were excellent. The weather was also perfect and the balcony was well used during our reception. We loved having our wedding at The Understory, and it’s so fun we can go back to grab a drink or a bite and reminisce!
Jessica C — Google review
We chose Understory to host a private wedding event in August and couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Planning was so easy, thanks to Haley Parker. She was very informative throughout the process, in addition to being flexible and accommodating with our wishes. The events team was on top of everything the night of - the event lead and all of the servers were so friendly. Our guests raved about the food, drinks, and cocktails, especially loving the bonus patio space to hang out on. The indoor space is also beautiful - not requiring much additional decoration (in my opinion). Thanks again to everyone at Understory! We had such a great night.

We’re visiting from California and came here for brunch/lunch with three friends — everything was awesome! The food was super good — we had Brussels sprouts, burgers, chicken salad, and pulled pork sandwiches. We also tried a local beer and two sparkling rosés — all great picks. Jacob and Jacqueline were amazing! Super friendly and took great care of us. The place has a nice vibe and feels really local. Definitely recommend if you’re around downtown Columbus.
Natwara A — Google review
We held an event with 80 people here, and cannot say enough positive things about the day! We rented the entire second floor with the terrace, which was wonderful for people to move about. Having the food and bar in a separate room was perfect. We had so many compliments on the food. It was all delicious and unique! The atmosphere was casual and pleasantly inviting. Debi was so helpful in determining the perfect menu selections and quantities, as well as room set up. Jen, Lila, Jerald, and Zoey were perfectly attentive and beyond helpful throughout the event. All the linens were in place when we arrived, which made set up go very quickly and smoothly. Very organized! Having an elevator was very convenient for some of our guests. This was such a great place to host an event, with a cool vibe and awesome food! Thank you all!
Lynn G — Google review
Drinks are a bit on the pricey side but they do pack a punch. On our visit we just missed the dining hours and I can’t wait to come back to try brunch. Edit: Finally made it in with some friends to try the food and loved the ambiance of the outdoor patio. It was a bit frustrating to have to order crisps or fries separately to enjoy with the fried goat cheese- something should be served with that without the additional cost. Food is very clean and fresh tasting but is not something to rave about.

German restaurant
Schmidt’s Sausage Haus Restaurant is a historic German eatery located in a livery stable, offering an unpretentious atmosphere and live oompah music. Established in 1886 as a meatpacking business, it has retained traces of German-American culture. Situated in the revitalized German Village, this long-running establishment provides a unique culinary experience with its large selection of dishes and awesome service.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently dined at Schmidt's Sausage Haus, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience! I tried the turkey Reuben, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. The side of potato pancakes was phenomenal; they were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, truly a must-try! The beer selection was impressive, and I opted for a German light that complemented my meal beautifully. To top off my visit, I took a cream puff to go, which was a delightful treat! What really stood out was the fantastic interaction with the staff and fellow guests. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. I can't wait to return for another round of those amazing dishes! Highly recommend!

The best pretzel and cheese sauce, delicious. Pretzel flavor and texture so amazing. The sampler was a great way to experience many sausage options. The environment is clean and very engaging. Memorable art and stories are found here. I know people love the cream puff but mine was not good. The dough had too much of a used oil flavor and the cream was not good (vanilla). Also visit the fudge haus next door and get some chocolate.

Awesome classic German fare. Complete with an accordion two piece band and old brick roads out front. Throwback to the immigrants who came here almost 150 years ago. Friendly staff. The potato soup is thick and creamy. Stuffed cabbage, sauerbraten, and cream puff were perfect.

What a great experience. This was my family's first time. The place was packed when we walked in but we were seated promptly. The service was great and the food came out remarkably fast. The potato soup was delicious. We ordered the pretzel appetizer which came with cheese and mustard. My husband ordered the sausage sampler which was great. I got the reuben with potato pancakes. And lastly the desserts were great. Fresh and delicious. The neighborhood was cute and there were 2 shops afterwards to visit.

The buffet is back! Schmidt’s bratwurst, German potato salad (warm) and German chocolate cake is good any day of the week and anytime of time of the day. Love the warm and casual space. While it is may seem noisy to some, I find the table conversations pleasant and an indicator of everyone around me enjoying their meal and the company with them.

Columbus, OH hosts a great German restaurant known for their sausages, schnitzel, and cream puffs. The staff is awesome. They help each other out to keep the service flowing. They are friendly and happy to explain the menu and options. The food is delicious and the beer offerings complement it perfectly. It is busy and popular so expect a wait during rush hour unless there is a spot at the bar. The vibe is family friendly. Lederhosen clad servers, polka music, and German themed decorations. The cream puffs are massive. Residential parking is available if the lot is full.
Nathan G — Google review
The atmosphere was lively and the place was full with many people waiting in line. The service was friendly and fast. I don’t eat pork so I did not have their famous sausages as even the beef ones have pork mixed with the beef. The server suggested two no pork dishes and I went with the breaded veal with mushroom burgundy gravy, and sides of red cabbage and potato pancakes with applesauce . I had a non alcoholic beer with the meal and for dessert their famous jumbo cream puff (vanilla). The only thing I really enjoyed was the beer ! I didn’t like the texture or the taste of the pastry shell and so I only ate the cream filling. The main dish was okay but not delicious. I guess I could not have what people come to this place for because of my dietary restrictions so it was not really the place for me.
Wafa R — Google review
Delicious and authentic German food with imported Bavarian beer options. The evening crowd was loud and boisterous (further authenticity 😂) but still had private feeling places with small booths and a bar area to one side. The artwork was interesting and added further charm to this historic building. The server was friendly and helpful and was prompt despite the full house.

The Thurman Cafe is a bustling American eatery known for its oversized, toppings-loaded burgers and full bar. It's famous for attracting athletes from around the world, especially during the annual Arnold Schwartzenegger Sports Festival in March. The star of the menu is The Thurmanator, a massive and juicy burger with two 12-ounce patties and numerous toppings. While it can get touristy and crowded, the wait is worth it for these mouth-watering options.
Super fun time at Thurmond Cafe. We had a 40 minute wait but it was totally worth it. Very eclectic place, nice and attentive servers, delicious food. Me and my wife shared a White Pizza Thin and the Thurman Burger, it was a ton of food. My favorite thing were the Battered Onion Straws. Would definitely come back to try more menu items.

Ok, these burgers are legit. If you are a hungry college student order a burger, if you are not- order one to split, seriously. 12oz to start, big burgers, but super tasty. We had several and all of them were good, get them med well (I usually like med rare, but these are big enough to take a little extra. A family owned dive bar kind of place. Not many tables so plan ahead, they won’t seat until everyone is present. Staff all share waiting duties, so at least there is always someone checking on you, but it is all made to order so nothing is fast, but it is worth the wait. Fries and onion rings were ok, as was the Ruben. Not bad, but stick with the burgers. Beers on tap and some in the can. Friendly staff, street parking. Gets busy fast. You will not go hungry (even splitting).

I need to double the stars to 10. First off I'd like to say I've ate here a few times and it gets better each time. The burgers are so big and cooked phenomenally. Has to be the best burger joint in Ohio. Victor is such a a great guy he was my server both times I've been there. I felt like I've known him my entire life and he treats you like family. If you go here please know it's worth the wait Everytime.

The ideal burger bar, Thurman's is a small space packed with personality. From it's rowdy music to the dollar bills all over the walls, it is a fun place to be and its authenticity is not skin deep. It has a good beer menu, great fries, fantastic onion rings, and speedy yet friendly service. But, let's face it; you can find all these at other places. What is hard to find is a burger as good as Thurman's. I got the Thurman burger, which was packed with toppings. This made for an over-the-top burger which I thought was actually a knock against the glory that is the patty of this burger. It is perfect: juicy, flavorful, cooked-to-order, and huge (their burgers are all 3/4 lb). Next time, I have to get the western burger to really make the most of the incredibly tasty meat in that patty and I hope that is sooner rather than later.

I had the biggest burger I think Iv ever had. It was AMAZING everything was great. The service was great everyone was so nice and attentive! The only thing I’d change is when you get that 2 lbs burger if they brought it out on a pizza pan lol. Honestly one of the best places Iv been. Great atmosphere everything was 10/10. Not many places have such a high rating while having so many reviews. It’s for a reason you will not be disappointed!!!!!!!

Burger was completely raw on the inside. How is this Columbus’ best burger when they can’t even cook a burger (to a safely edible temperature)? Also, waited about 15 minutes to be helped (and it was not busy and there was no wait/people before us). Overall, overhyped.

Z Cucina di Spirito is a modern Italian restaurant and bar that offers upscale, seasonal cuisine in a white-tablecloth setting. The restaurant blends traditional and modern Italian flavors with a touch of Mediterranean influence. The menu features fresh, made-from-scratch dishes including pasta, cheese, desserts, and an impressive wine selection. The house chef ensures top-notch quality in every dish. This neighborhood gem provides a rare dining experience with its distinctive offerings.
I wanted to keep this amazing place a secret but for 2025 I will not gate keep. The ambience of this place screams chic and modern using the freshest ingredients to make their dishes. I’m not surprised that their reservations were absolutely booked out. Every time I come, I am greeted with a warm smile and the owner is absolutely amazing no matter how many hundreds of people come. She still remembers everyone. These are the type of restaurants that make it so easy for me to say nice things. The food is absolutely fresh and keeps you connected to Italy without having to leave Columbus, Ohio. The calamari is top-tier. The mushroom pizza is to die for and I enjoyed my gnocchi entrée the brown butter that they used on. It was amazing. I will be back again and again, and you should too.

My wife and 13 yr old son and I had reservations on a Friday evening. Was quite busy but was seated right away. The atmosphere was trendy, open, and decorated classy. Our waitress was amazing. We began with specialty drinks. They did not disappoint! Our waitress garnished our table with sundried tomato dipping oil and fresh crusted bread. The sundried tomato dipping oil was just a settle sweetness and full of flavor. We ordered a Starter of fried Calamari Fritti. The calamari was cooked to perfection. The veggies were just as delicious as it's counterpart. For the salad, we got the Seasonal Salad and the Pickled Beet Salad. Both were exceptional and very fresh. For the Main Entree, one of us got the Orecchiette Pasta Alla Zozonna and two of us got the Bucatini Al Nero Di Seppia. I cannot tell you how amazing the meals were. We love our seafood and we know how to prepare and cook it ourselves. So to say the seafood was done perfectly, I mean it was done to a much higher standard than we could ever do! This is a much appreciated treat for us to dine out and have not a single thing to say negatively! We will definitely return and give the best reviews! Our compliments to the Staff and especially the Chef(s) who labored so meticulously to make our experience such an amazing one. No dessert this time, but this is a compliment from us!

What a hidden gem in Grandview! From the service to the cozy ambiance and exceptional food, everything exceeded expectations. The bread with olive oil and sun-dried tomatoes to start was probably the best bread + dip I've ever had—so good that I couldn’t stop talking about it, and the owner even packed me a little tub to take home. Our Caesar salad and entrées were delicious and well portioned. Incredible customer service and an inviting vibe can’t wait to come back!

This is an AMAZING restaurant! Rick, the owner, was so kind and knowledgeable about the area. He was so friendly and was helping seat and greet people the entire time we were there. We thoroughly enjoyed the food (both got the chicken parmesan and caesar salad). The bread is phenomenal! We thought the service was amazing! All of the servers we talked to were so nice and helpful! We went on a Wednesday evening and while it wasn't crowded, we did make sure to make a reservation to get a table.

What an amazing restaurant, truly. The ownership is absolutely committed to making sure that each and every person is welcomed, so thank you. My significant other and I have taken quite a liking to this establishment. We go quite often. I must include that they also have the best happy hour/ meatballs in all of Columbus. I would highly recommend giving this restaurant a try, and if you see a friendly fellow greeting you with lots of love-his name is probably Rick. -J.P

The visible kitchens and bakeries reflect their belief in transparency in food preparation. Their diverse menu offers something for everyone, with standout dishes like ricotta pancakes.
I was visiting from out of town for a conference and my friend and I came for dinner. The manager, Gabe was very warm and inviting to us. We ordered the chicken and avocado sandwich and Pimiento burger w/sweet potato fries. Gabe even let us try the the Northstar burger since it was our first time there! The food was simply delicious & the house ginger ale is amazing!!! Beautiful, comfortable ambiance. We didn’t have drinks other than the house ale, but they have a full bar with wine and cocktails that looks well stocked! A must try! 👍🏽😍

Ok, I got a cheeseburger which was very good. The atmosphere was fine, we had a large party of 9 which really didn’t work that well. You set yourself, you get your drinks yourself, you don’t refer and pay at the register. Ask for napkins they said it came with the silverware and that’s all you get. We had to use multiple extra sets of silverware. They only have sweet potato fries which I didn’t care for at all. The staff wasn’t rude, but they weren’t friendly either. When you paid you selected a tip amount even though you just stood in line to order and you really don’t have help except to remove dishes. I am normally a strong 20-25% tipper, with service, but the minimum was 15% and that was way too much for this place. Won’t be back, there are better options available.

In town visiting for work and came across the Northstar Cafe. Quick service - even with a number of customers arriving at the same time. My order was taken promptly, and some personal recommendations provided by the server. Seated outside, great atmosphere both inside and outside. Ended up with the chicken and avocado sandwich which was delicious. For a drink I had the shooting star. When traveling for work I try to find any opportunity to maximize healthy options. Really great meal, friendly staff and good atmosphere.

Great for breakfast and lunch. The avocado chicken sandwich is great with a finely toasted bun. Nice outdoor sitting area with heaters, which make sitting outside blissful. Very clean inside and outside. The staff are particularly careful about cleanliness of mugs and silverware. We saw them checking and changing three mugs before handing us one that did not have any spots on it. They are also careful to not touch inside the mugs. And the best of all, we noticed some items in the menu and ingredients staff use are organic. What better than having organic food at reasonable price. This place left a good memory of Columbus for us. I wish them a booming business for their quality work and service.

Absolutely amazing establishment. All staff was friendly and helpful. I had a few questions on ingredients and they were able to explain everything as I needed! The shooting star drink is OUT OF THIS WORLD, DELICIOUS. The fish sandwich was fresh and warm! The northstar burger was one of the best restaurant vegetarian burgers I’ve ever had. So full of flavor! The kale slaw on top was absolutely delicious! Beverages are self serve!

Cute clean restaurant. We stopped for breakfast. You order food at the counter, cafe style. They bring your food to you. Perfect mimosa’s. Freshly juiced carrots. The oats were a perfect serving size. Breakfast was delicious. The kids ate pancakes and drank organic root beer. The coffee was strong. Over all a beautiful setting and would recommend.

Came here for Sunday morning brunch. It was a fantastic spot. Ordering was a little different than most places as you get in line to order your food, then find a table for yourself, and the servers bring out your food once it’s ready. I had the sweet potato and turkey hash, oats all the way, and draft kombucha. Everything was very tasty and delicious. The place has a nice atmosphere with the large windows and sunlight shining in. Friendly and warm staff. Lots of parking with side streets and parking garage right next to the cafe.

With three locations in Dublin, Grandview, and Gahanna, the upscale diner theme caters to all age groups.
This place was awesome!!! The food was awesome! The service was awesome!! The bill was big!!! 5 people almost two hundred in food but we got two apps, 5 meals, 2 coffees, 2 pops, a water, 5 shakes, and a triple chocolate cake! It isn't cheap diner food, it's great food in a diner-esq restaurant. All of it was well worth it!!

It wasn't very busy and we sat outside on the patio. It's a nice diner, reminded us of The Silver Diner in Alexandria VA. Food was good, but nothing exceptional, typical All American menu. Wife had a Cheese Burger, and I had the Triple Cheese Toast. The egg was definitely a surprise hit on it. We also ordered the Hot and Spicy Calamari. It was ok. Flavor was decent, but the hot n spicy sauce overpowered the dish IMHO. Next we ordered 2 Milkshakes, one regular vanilla (w/cherry on top)and, one "Almond Vodka." They were decent, but again IMHO nothing special. Service, despite only 2 Servers, was good. Very friendly. Would make it a point to go back, but if you're in a nearby hotel like we were and you're not interested in going too far, give it a try.

The meal was outstanding. The server was excellent. I had Chicken Romano served 3 large chicken fillets egg dipped, breaded, seasoned to perfection then fried perfectly. The fish and chips were perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the warm soft pretzel with beer cheese were fresh from the oven. Soft, buttery, and delicious. The beer cheese itself had a unique flavor that really stood out. A fun bonus: on weekends, they serve complimentary cinnamon rolls, and they are incrediblely warm, gooey, and unforgettable. Wow!!! The ravioli and the chicken Parmesan were off the hook!!! So good! The sauce was incredible! The pizza was also very good. It was very busy but we were seated within 5 mins. Seriously some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. The cream on the tiramisu was fantastic and perfect. This place is the real deal!! Definitely check it out!
Rebecca K — Google review
I recently dined at Marcella's and had a rather mixed experience. The ambiance was quite dark, and the restaurant felt overcrowded and loud. The tables are set so close together that it was nearly impossible to have a private conversation, especially on a busy Saturday night. While I understand that this setup may be profit-driven, from a diner's perspective, it felt like we were dining with a group of strangers. Additionally, the table we were assigned was small and wobbly, making me anxious about spilling my cocktail. To make matters worse, we discovered dirty appetizer plates at our table when we first arrived. Regarding the food, the cocktails felt watered down and tasted more like mocktails. However, the melted Pecorino cheese appetizer was delightful. For our entrées, we enjoyed the fettuccine & meatball and the braised beef tortellini. The meatball was sizable, tender, and flavorful, although the tomato sauce overpowered the Alfredo sauce, creating an unbalanced but interesting dish. The braised beef tortellini were tasty but disappointingly small in portion size compared to the fettuccine & meatball. The cheesecake we had for dessert was enjoyable. The service was satisfactory, considering the overcrowded setting. The staff did their best under the circumstances, but the overall experience was affected by the tight seating arrangement and lack of personal space. With so many excellent dining options in the Short North area, I would likely choose a different venue for a date night. The close table setup at Marcella's might not be ideal for those seeking a more private and comfortable dining experience.

Our favorite restaurant in Columbus! The interior is absolutely gorgeous! We celebrated with a group of 6 on Friday, and returned again Saturday! The drinks are very tasty - highly recommend both Sangrias, red and white. The mushroom ravioli was outstanding! Our guests enjoyed the ribeye and wild boar pasta, commenting how delicious both were. Waiters were very attentive and polite. Highly recommend!

Absolutely great service, delicious food and great atmosphere. In all my dining experiences I have never been asked by my server if I have any food allergies. Our waitress asked if we had any food allergies and the culinary team made sure that my food was prepared and handled and marked separately to ensure it didn’t not cross with any other foods that would cause me to have an allergic reaction. This place gives you the absolute best customer service.

Barcelona Restaurant and Bar, located in German Village, offers a genuine taste of Spain with its bustling atmosphere and sleek space. The LGBTQIA-owned establishment has been serving classic tapas like patatas bravas and empanadas since the 90s. The menu also features shareable specialties such as charbroiled cauliflower, mussels in tomato curry and coconut cream, and baked manchego with sun-dried tomato jam.
“American sized” tapas, more like “de talla mediana” (medium sized plates). Portions sizes are quite big compared to what you would expect for a tapas place. But presentation, quality of food, service and ambience are excellent, especially the outdoor patio. We were out there with a group of friends for dinner. My wife and I ordered a bunch of tapas items and by the 6th one we were full, didn’t order the main course anymore. We ordered Sangria and few other cocktails as well - everything was perfect. Our server Brad was fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Hofbräuhaus Columbus is a German beer hall located in Columbus, Ohio, offering an authentic Bavarian experience. Modeled after the famous Munich beer hall, it features traditional Bavarian fare, classic beers, and garden seating. The restaurant hosts Oktoberfest all year round and boasts high ceilings, long wooden tables and benches, lantern lights, decorative fermentation tanks, and an in-house brewery.
The restaurant captures the authentic feel of a German beer hall, with its spacious interior lined with long communal tables. Servers dressed in traditional Dirndl carry large beer steins filled with beer, enhancing the lively Bavarian atmosphere. The menu features classic German dishes like Würstl, Schnitzel, and giant pretzels. I had the Bratwurst and a Hefeweizen—the sausage was tender and juicy, full of flavor. The sauerkraut added the perfect tang to balance out the richness of the meat. It was a thoroughly enjoyable dinner experience.

100% coming back here again when I am in Columbus! The food was flavorful and hot coming to the table. The waitresses were kind and fun. The price point seems fair to me for what’s offered in quality and portions. The dining environment is open, so it could have the potential to be on the louder side but for how open it is, I would say it’s not unexpected but also did not interfere with conversation at the table.

Oktoberfest at Hofbrauhaus. The iconic potato pancakes are a must try! Pretzel with ‘bier cheese’ is great too. When you visit a Hofbräuhaus location, the dessert is a ‘shotski’. I loved the atmosphere with live music in the background and everyone just having a great time.great customer service.

Didnt start off great. Put in reservations a month in advance with a seating request (no booth would like a table). When we arrive, yup, booth. After a little scramble, they got us moved. Outside of that, great time. Food was spot on. Prices were reasonable. Loved the atmosphere...very welcoming and fun. Service was a little behind but in all fair ess they were very busy. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back for sure. I would recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

This place is so fun and live! Unbeknownst to us, we came after Oktoberfest weekend and they were celebrating Oktoberfest in Grandview for the next 3 weeks. Our group of 20 enjoyed the live music and performances. I enjoyed the atmosphere more than the food. The food doesn’t have a lot of flavor; I had the Cajun pretzel bites and the Bavarian Schnitzel (pictured)…the meat and vegetables needed more seasoning but the mashed potatoes were perfect. I guess this is a place you go for the beer and the atmosphere, not really the food.

My favorite was the pretzels (soft and warm) and the chocolate cake dessert. The cucumbers were a bit dried on the garden salad (still tasted pretty good with the dressing). I had the bratwurst dish with the 3 sausages, sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes were good. I don't really like the rubbery texture of the sausages (almost like hot dogs, I prefer a less uniform texture inside) and I prefer crunchier more sour sauerkraut (these were very soft and cooked), but I think it's just supposed to be like that, I'm not sure what authentic German food is "supposed" to taste like but I wasnt used to the textures. Overall a nice meal, and good service! The takeout aluminum containers are not too sturdy, they are hard to seal up and food can fall out if you're not careful opening it. Nice setting and decorations, a little on the warmer side upstairs

I had the Dunkel Bourbon Chicken and it was delicious. Dylan was our server and did a very nice job. Great experience overall. Will definitely go back the next time we are in the area.

The Guild House is a unique dining spot with a rustic-modern ambiance, offering globally inspired seasonal menus. The dining room features 500 pieces of modern art curated from the private collection of owners Ron and Ann Pizzuti. The hotel's all-day eatery, The Guild House, serves up hearty comforts like smoked chicken hash and pan-seared halibut with sunchokes and truffled vinaigrette.
Adventurous soul and dedicated foodie here! Dinner at The Guild House was decent, though I had higher expectations given the steep prices. The presentation was stunning, and the service was a perfect 10/10 truly top-notch! Drinks were moderately boozy, which I appreciated, and the dessert was an absolute highlight. The atmosphere is amazing, making it a great spot for a vibrant dining experience. A solid choice for a special night out, but the food could elevate to match the hype!

This was a celebration for my daughters birthday. This is a beautiful restaurant. The decor is amazing. They have high beams of wood 🪵 work! I loved the presentation of the vases & the chandeliers. We had the best waitress named Casey. She went above to accommodate our needs. Especially my granddaughter has a food allergy. Kudos to the chef. I loved the hospitality of the management. I had to send my salmon 🍣 back because I was expecting the cooking a little different. Casey had them make me a new one! Based on the culinary 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳I wasn’t used to the taste! I wanted more seasoning on my salmon! I did add salt & I normally don’t use it. I appreciate the effort. I was happy with their carrot, this dessert was extremely delicious! My granddaughter who don’t like it tastes she like it. I order one to take home. My daughter enjoyed her lamb chops! My granddaughter enjoyed her pasta 🍝with cheese 🧀inside the noodles! It was good! My daughter enjoyed the cocktails 🍸 🍹 . I’ll update if I get the name! I advise you to check it out! The short north! You have to park 🅿️on street or the garage. You do have to pay in the garage & some street parking. 🥤🍟

The Guild House exceeded all expectations. Our server, Kylie, was absolutely fantastic. The lamb chops were spot on. The lobster anglotti was possibly the best pasta ever I have ever had. The caramelized banana dessert was perfect. My husband love the chocolate torte. The best part was our cocktails and appetizers were 50% off. This place is absolutely wonderful.

Not sure why this restaurant only has 4.6 stars — it truly deserves more. I’ve eaten here two days in a row, and every dish has been excellent. Simple ingredients, yet prepared so deliciously.Ben is a very caring waiter.I would recommend this place.

I chose to go to The Guild House for my birthday this year and was very pleased and happy with the experience. My husband and I ordered the gem salad and hasselback potatoes to share and for entrees chose the gnocchi and scallops. All were beautifully presented and delicious. We had a lovely and friendly waitress, Sydney. Thank you to the Guild House team for the birthday card and complimentary carrot cake dessert. All of you made my birthday very special. 😊

Really good food, but the bar area was super understaffed, which made the experience pretty slow. Our server/bartender was great, but she was covering too many tables and making drinks at the same time. We had to keep looking for her and ended up not even being able to order another drink, which was frustrating. The menu was awesome with lots of great options. I got the filet, which was cooked perfectly with great sides. The grits were surprisingly good too — creamy with an egg yolk on top that actually worked really well. They also had a great bourbon selection, which I wish I’d had more time to enjoy. The place had a fun, lively vibe and great energy. If they were better staffed, this would easily be a 5-star spot.

What a beautiful restaurant serving locally sourced food! 💕 To my amazing waitress with the tats (Apologies I can’t remember your name) thank you so so so much for making my solo birthday breakfast a treat! I ordered the pumpkin bread, doughnuts and lobster toast and everything was spot on. Thank you for your phenomenal service and kicking my birthday off with a bang! Outstanding from start to finish! Convenient to make a reservation for 4 people online, and was even able to change the time a bit when we figured out we’d be running slightly late (drove up from Erie to see Wu-Tang @ Nationwide Arena). Our servers were kind and accommodating, answered all our questions, were prompt and had great attention to detail (refilling waters, clearing plates/silverware ect). All of our food was spectacular- cooked perfectly and insanely delicious (starters: ahi and crab cake, entrees steaks and chicken with some some sides) drink-wise I tried the cherry Old Fashioned (wow) and a glass of red wine- 10/10! Everything was just so good. Already planning to come back soon! Beautiful restaurant, clean, cool and comfortable- all around wonderful experience. Thank you!

My husband took me here to celebrate my 53rd birthday. I loved the service and the atmosphere but my meal left me a little disheartened. Don't get me wrong .. there were aspects of the meal that were amazing and then there was not. We started with their wedge salad and crab cake. The salad was amazing!! The hubby ate the crab cake because it was too dry for my liking. He ordered a filet and I got the New York strip. His steak was great .. mine not so much. The steak was a bit chewy and lacked flavor outside of the peppercorn sauce. The sides .. left me speechless. We had spinach gratin and lobster mac&cheese. There was also bread service with a variety of different breads. The staff was great!! They all worked together as a team and made sure that we had everything we needed. They wanted to replace my meal but I declined as I was getting full. I didn't want to have to take it home to enjoy it. They did treat us to dessert which was very kind of them and it was awesome!! We would go back ... it was worth the drive.

We recently hosted our son and his fiancée’s engagement party at Hyde Park, and it could not have been more perfect. The restaurant provided a private room with personalized menus, beautifully folded heart-shaped napkins, and an atmosphere that felt truly special. The food was incredible, the service was top-notch, and the attention to detail at the table was outstanding. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make the night memorable. A huge thank-you to Paul, Erin, Molly, the GM, and Matt for helping us celebrate such an important occasion. Hyde Park made this milestone unforgettable, and we are so grateful!

I went to Hyde Park with my wife to celebrate my birthday, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was classy and perfect for a special occasion. I started with the Caesar salad and crab cake, both were fresh and full of flavor. For my entrée, I had the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts, and everything was cooked to perfection. The steak was tender and absolutely delicious. Our waiter and waitress were both outstanding, attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Hyde Park truly knows how to make a dinner feel special. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience, and I’ll definitely be back for another celebration!

On 10/8/2025 we celebrated part of our anniversary by dining at Hyde downtown Columbus. This was the best meal I've ever had, and I've had a ton of them over the years at many varied restaurants here in Columbus and across the US, and some international travel too. At Hyde, we had the lobster bisque soup, ribeye steaks with bordelaise sauce, caesar salad, lobster mac and cheese, garlic whipped potatoes. We almost never do desserts, but our waiter insisted we try the Flaming Butter Cake and a dessert that I don't see on the menu which mimics S'mores, and we did try/eat both, they were unbelievably good. This meal/experience was expensive for sure, but well worth it to celebrate our anniversary. It was truly the best meal I've ever had. Service was top-notch. Atmosphere was great too.

We had the most pleasant experience here at Hyde Park in Downtown Columbus. Our server, Elijah, was phenomenal — his kindness and perfect service made our time as great as it was. I got the 12oz filet mignon, and my fiancée got the 14oz NY strip. The filet was the best quality, best tasting of any steakhouse I’ve been to. We ordered the rich, flavorful millionaire’s potatoes and the five-cheese macaroni & cheese as our sides. They were great and we had plenty left over to take home. Finally, we finished with the red velvet cake to share. The slice was MASSIVE and tasted out-of-this-world. We’re excited for the next time we visit Hyde Park!

Dirty Frank's Hot Dog Palace is a casual restaurant that offers a wide variety of hot dogs with unique toppings, including gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options. With a budget-friendly menu, customers can enjoy specialty hot dogs like the Seoul Dog with Korean kimchi and spicy pickled cabbage or the Whoa Nellie with pulled beef brisket and barbecue sauce.
Franks Restaurant offers great food, great service and a pleasant atmosphere at reasonable prices. The bartenders are friendly and courteous and the variety of hot dogs is highly recommended. Whether it's Texas Tommy or Cheese Fries, everything is satisfying. The restaurant is small, but service is prompt and attentive, offering regular and vegan hot dogs with creative toppings. The Chicago dog and onion rings were particularly excellent and affordable for those on a budget or in a group. The overall experience was excellent and worth coming back for

Honestly, one of the top 3 hot dogs I’ve ever had—super fresh and tasty. The toppings were creative and actually added flavor, not just random extras. The staff was great—chill, friendly, and our server kept checking in and refilling without us even asking. It was still crowded even after midnight, which says a lot. Perfect spot for a late dinner or midnight munchies. Laid-back vibe, quick bite or takeout style, and totally worth it.

Best hot dogs I’ve ever had. They have such a wide selection of different toppings and decently priced as well. It feels like a very welcoming and calm atmosphere. There is art work to look at all over the walls as well. 10/10 will eat a Weiner there again.

Came in here on a recent visit to Columbus after seeing all of the fantastic reviews, hoping to find a good hot dog stand. Maybe it was just the time we went, but I could not have been more wrong. The Dogs I got the Chicago dog, and it definitely had some ups in the bumpy ride of eating this glizzy. The dog itself was fine. It would have held its own in a simpler recipe with fewer toppings to conceal it. The bun was good, well-flavored with the poppy seeds you would expect from a Chicago style establishment. The pickle was delicious, with a nice snap and good flavor. However, this is the end of my praise for the dog, as frankly things quickly go downhill from here. The tomatoes were chopped much too large to fit in the bun, and even after containing their escape, they were watery and did not have much flavor. The relish was heaped onto the dog in quantities that dwarfed the glizzy, and all other condiments, concealing the onion flavor entirely. The Fries We got the raunchy fries, which were… okay? The fries had the texture of being under a heat lamp for an extended time, but somehow none of the heat. However, the ranch topping was fairly seasoned and would have been delicious given better fries underneath. The Root Beer I think I just had bad luck on this one. The root beer taste itself was great (as expected) but the carbonation was extremely weak and the temperature was almost room temperature. I wouldn’t expect ice cold from an on-tap drink with no ice in it, but I expected it to at least feel cold to the touch when I grabbed the glass, which this was not. All in all, we may have gone on an off day, but I won’t be going out of my way to try this again.

Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace was a fun and delicious experience! I took my husband for his thirtieth birthday, knowing this is the type of stuff he likes, and it was a huge hit! Being from Indiana, I had to order the Ohioana Dog. I also got the Classy Lady and both were very good. The amount of cheese on the Classy Lady was perfect! My husband said his favorite was the Classic Chicagoan Hot Dog. We left with some merch and good memories!

Nice little spot here. Atmosphere seemed little semi formal, but no required dress code. Food was really tastey all around. We ordered the Black and Bleu Flatbread, Shrimp and Lobster Scampi, and the Steak Philly for the lady. The flatbread was so flavorful, the mushrooms, steak, and what took it over the top, those really sweet caramelized onions. The pasta was cooked just right and had a harmonious set of flavors, from lemon, garlic, parmesan and really fresh lobster/shrimp. Server was informative and attentive. Nice.

I must admit, I have overlooked this gem of a restaurant. Its been a few years since I have visited and I will not wait so long again. I would venture to say one of the best patios in the area. Amazing food! My wife and I were in town for the weekend and decided on Polaris Grill. The Hickory Pork Chop was fabulous and the Shrimp and Scallop pasta was the best I’ve ever had. We highly recommend dining here.

I ordered dinner via DoorDash. It's hard to imagine the Walleye Amandine dinner being any worse. The walleye had a very strong fishy taste and smell, and was dry. I ordered the sauce on the side. Perhaps the sauce is used to mask the awful taste of the fish. The zucchini risotto was very watery and had no taste. The "fresh" vegetables were tasteless as well. I threw the entire meal in the trash. The Maryland crab cake appetizers had good flavor, but given their size, are overpriced.

Was a nice relaxing lunch stop. The staffs attentiveness was exceptional. From answering questions to giving recommendations this was top notch service. This made up for the quality of food significantly. FOOD Steak- 2/5 delicious and well seasoned with a very savory demiglase the only reason this didnt get a 1/5. Asked for a Pittsburgh style steak and received a crustless (thats season not a crust) blue steak that was just shy of raw . Vegetables -3/5 season decently and seamed fresh but undercooked for my liking Smahed Red Potatoes 5/5 these were the star of the show. Perfectly smashed well season and buttery. Brought the whole meal together and left me feeling full and satisfied. Bread. 4/5 very fesh with a soft center and a nice crust. With the herb butter it was hard not to fill up on these before the meal came. Overall above average but felt like it was missing something to take it from very good to great.

Upon arrival, my expectations were exceeded. The ambient temperature was slightly cool; therefore, I recommend bringing a jacket if you are sensitive to cold environments. We were seated in a booth and presented with our menus. Our beverages, salads, and appetizers were subsequently delivered. The meal arrived and was quite satisfactory. The only area for improvement would be the asparagus, which was somewhat undercooked and crisp.

Wolf's Ridge Brewing is a prominent addition to the Columbus brewery scene, established in 2013 by Alan and Bob Szuter. This brewery offers an elevated American eatery with a substantial beer menu. It has gained recognition as a premier drinking and dining destination in the capital city. One of its notable offerings is the nationally-recognized Daybreak, a custom cream ale infused with Columbus' own One Line Coffee and Madagascar vanilla. Wolf's Ridge Brewing is part of BrewPigeon.
My family and I had a wonderful brunch experience at Wolf's Ridge this past Saturday. We had made reservations, which I highly recommend, as it seemed to be a popular spot. We were seated promptly and the food arrived surprisingly fast, which was a huge plus with our two little ones. They absolutely devoured the pancakes and fruit bowl – a definite kid-pleaser! My WRB Benny's were absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked and flavorful. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her meal, "Toad in the Hole,". Our waitress was attentive and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a fantastic brunch and we'll definitely be back!

Went to the tap room on a warm Sunday afternoon, and it was pretty quiet. I had never had their beer before at all, and the service was great giving me recommendations and offering samples. We booked the Hickory Room at Wolf's Ridge Brewing for our wedding rehearsal dinner and welcome party and it was one of the best wedding decisions we made. The room was beautiful and their service was great! Their staff leading up to the event were very organized and communicative and the food for both our rehearsal dinner and welcome party was excellent. We had at least 75 people in there at some points and the space felt comfortable. We had a great experience with Wolf's Ridge and would recommend it for anyone looking for a rehearsal dinner, welcome party, or other event venue.

A lively space where you can still hear the conversation at your table we enjoyed their beers with everyone in our party of 5 ordering something different. We shared small plates to start. Our favourites are the chopped salad and waffle fries. Sandwiches are tasty. The local duck was delicious and perfectly cooked accompanied by a very spicy sauce and carrots. It could have used something green and possibly some potatoes or rice. The fresh walleye special was perfectly cooked with a melange of summer squash and zucchini in a flavourful peppadew sauce, and tender baby potatoes. Did you sleep OK? I’m sorry you like your fruit is ours. I would’ve guessed they were the same just asking well you only have one more night not bad my goodness. We ended the evening with their chocolate mousse with its citrusy coconut foam/cream.

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is a well-known upscale steakhouse chain with multiple locations in the Columbus area. The restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring steaks, seafood, and chicken dishes, along with an extensive selection of wines and cocktails. Located in Polaris Towne Center, it provides a lodge-like ambiance for patrons to enjoy their meals. Some of the standout menu items include bone-in ribeye, filet mignon, and shrimp scampi.
Came to this warm place during a rainy afternoon. Their large fireplace was heating the room. It was an authentic American restaurant with classic American dishes. The bar was beautiful and the seating area was large. Service was great and WiFi was fast. I was surprised to see that there were lots of people during this bad weather. Their lunch menu had a good pair of salads, sides, or sandwiches. I ordered their cheeseburger and killer Mac and cheese. Their free bread and butter was delicious. The Mac was decent with crispy flakes, but it was easy to get cold. The burger was also decent with a big size of fire-grilled and flavorful patty. However, everything in the menu was not attractive to me because I would like to try something special. Hope their chefs will make something distinctive and impressive.

I was so impressed with the entire experience. We went for my birthday and didn't know we needed a reservation. We were disappointed when we found out after we had driven 40 minutes. The nice gentleman at the front made it happen. He accommodated our group as soon as he heard our dilemma. Which I truly appreciate! Then we had the nicest waitress who went out of her way to make this the most pleasant experience. Now let's talk about the food, 100/10! The jalapeño deviled eggs are AMAZING! Then we got the lobster spinach queso, soooooo good! Our dinner was really good too. Last but definitely not least was the birthday dessert, which was Cheesecake Creme Brulee, chef's kiss! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, HIGHLY! Don't second-guess it, just go you won't be disappointed. I will be back! Thank you all so much for making my birthday great!

Great food and service, atmosphere was a little louder than anticipated. Our server Dan was great at recommending drinks and dishes, keeping our drinks filled and clearing the table quickly. He also had a great sense of humor, and knowledgable about the menu and catering service we inquired about. The deviled eggs were good and different but needed a little more seasoning, and the bread with butter also seemed to need some salt or something extra, but was very fresh and soft. The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the carrots were very flavorful. The chicken was very juicy and had a lite honey garlic sauce on it, very generous potions. The lemon blueberry cake was light and fluffy, not overwhelmingly lemon and had a good amount of blueberry sauce. Finally, the spicy peach margarita worked very well, it was not too spicy and packed with flavor. We will be back for sure!

After a long day of back to school clothes shopping, my husband, daughter, and I stopped in at Firebirds for dinner, and it was exactly what we needed. We all chose the 3-course meal option, which included a salad, entrée, and dessert, and everything was absolutely delicious. Our daughter had the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, and it was huge! I’m pretty sure it had two big pieces of chicken on it. She couldn’t finish it all, so we took the leftovers home, along with the rest of our meals, which easily gave us another full dinner the next day. While it’s a little on the pricier side, the portion sizes and quality make it worth it. The atmosphere was cozy, our server was friendly and attentive, and the whole experience was just fantastic. We'll definitely be back when we're craving a hearty, flavorful meal!

My family and I stopped here to try something different while on vacation. Mind you this was for lunch. This was a fancy restaurant. The food was not only presented beautifully, but it tasted great! If I lived in this state, this would be a date night restaurant. The atmosphere is set up perfectly for it. The service was great as well as the bar. I was very impressed. I will say it's a little on the pricey side. But for a romantic dinner, it's to be expected. I paid $180 for 4 people with 2 appetizers and one cocktail. That was also including the tip.

Won't return for lunch here! Mainly our waitress Decia, not sure if she was ending her shift or what but everything was extremely rushed and wrong. Expressed we was in no rush and celebrating a birthday. She didn't care once you read the review! Appetizers; Crab Cakes and Deviled eggs. Both were very delish and I recommend! 1st course: two salads, came right on top of our appetizers. One salad was made with incorrect but manager fixed right away. I would get dressing onside it had entirety wayyy to much dressing for our liking. Entrees: two filets both came out cooked incorrectly but one was only sent back to get fixed by manager again. Steaks lacked any seasoning. Side of mushrooms and mashed potatoes both were good. Birthday dessert came out moments later- still had our entrees in front of us. Just bad! We explained at the beginning we wanted to order the bread pudding (even called ahead to make sure it was possible) for the birthday dessert (fine paying) but she didn't listen and said cheesecake is free anyway and brought that. Asked for the bread pudding again and moments later it came out. I asked no candle? She said she didn't have a lighter- wow! Especially since we watched the table behind us get a birthday dessert with candle. I chucked and laughed like you couldn't ask for his. She shrugged it off. That was the icing on the cake for us. We had to asked for boxes and then we had to ask for bag like we was going to carry 4 boxes out in our hands. Now that our food was boxed up-we managed to enjoy the bread pudding- looked nothing like the picture and don't recommend. I had to ask for drink menu a few times durning the course of lunch. I asked at end if she had any digestifs- she had no clue what that way. The entire experience was awful, bad birthday experience for my guest not to mention beyond rushed with meal on top of meal because she apparently had somewhere to be. I've had happy hour here a couple times for drinks so MAYBE I'lI stick with that.

The Polaris area has an interesting mix of restaurants/bars/fast food… but Firebirds will always be in the highest tier of places to have a nice evening/dinner in the Polaris area for me. The ambience is lovely with appropriately dimmed lights and a beautiful colorful lit up bar. The menu is expansive offering options for almost any variety of taste preferences. The lobster spinach queso will always be one of my favorite appetizers. Free bread service is always a great touch. Entree portions are more than appropriate for the prices. Extensive cocktail menu and backbar. The service is always fast and attentive, Jess is the best! Will return for many years to come.

Love Firebirds. Tonight we decided to try a new place, sat down and saw nothing on the menu that looked appealing. So we had a quick drink and headed to an old favorite. Firebirds it is!!! The double diamond pineapple martini is a favorite. We (I mean “I”) splurged on the surf and turf and had amazing lobster and filet mignon. My husband had a pasta dish that he also enjoyed. We have been there several times, never a bad meal.

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams is a chain known for its creative flavors of ice cream and frozen yogurt made from local ingredients. The original location at North Market in Columbus offers unique flavors like Brambleberry Crisp and Goat Cheese with Red Cherries. Jeni's uses whole ingredients and dairy from grass-fed cows, setting their artisan ice cream apart. With ten locations in Columbus, it's a must-visit for anyone exploring the city's culinary scene.
Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams in the Short North is a must-stop for anyone craving unique and delicious ice cream. What really stood out during my visit was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the sampling process a joy. They offered generous samples, answered questions with enthusiasm, and provided thoughtful recommendations. Their patience and genuine warmth created a welcoming atmosphere, making it easy to navigate all the flavors. While Jeni's is known for its ice cream, the positive and attentive service from the staff truly elevated the experience.

I tried two scoops - Root Beer Float and Brambleberry Crisp - at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams. Since I am allergic to eggs, I asked the staff about ingredients, and they were very clear about which flavors had eggs and which did not. They also had great sorbet options for vegans. I appreciated being able to sample flavors before choosing. The staff were friendly, patient, and helpful, even with a big crowd waiting. Both flavors were tasty, but I was especially impressed with the Root Beer Float - it really tasted like the drink! The shop is busy, but worth the wait. I would definitely come back.

Local ice cream place with a great many super interesting flavors. While you are likely to find a line, it is worth it. I had the burnt orange - so delicious! Also yummy was the brown butter almond brittle and the gooey butter cake. Heck, all the flavors we tried were DELICIOUS!! Go today! Go again! Yum!!!

First time in Columbus, OH and I was advised to stop by Jeni's for ice cream. This was the best suggestion. This place had great customer service and a variety of ice cream to pick from. Jeni's even lets you sample every ice cream they have with no pressure to buy any. If you're near a Jeni's ice cream, definitely stop by and grab some

Staff were friendly and welcoming! I have been a long time Jeni’s fan and getting to go in person was fantastic. Loved all the specialty combos on the menu!

So many choices for ice cream. Very nice delicious flavors. Staff seemed extremely knowledgeable about the descriptions of each flavor. I was disappointed that they only offered ice cream cones and bowls. No other type of desserts like shakes exedra. There is a bathroom there you can use. We were very pleased that they had free tap water available in the dining room. That was super helpful since we had been walking around outside in the heat for 3 hours downtown. As expected, the prices were extremely high.

One thing about me is if I’m in a state that has a Jeni’s, I will make it a point to stop by. It’s a must. I always get my almond brittle butter ice cream and it never disappoints. The flavor is rich and creamy, with that sweet and slightly nutty crunch that makes it unforgettable. And their waffle cone? Absolute perfection! It’s crisp, buttery, and the perfect match for their ice cream. I’ve loved Jeni’s for years, and every visit reminds me why. The quality is always consistent, the flavors are creative and bold, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Whether it’s a quick treat on a hot day or a little indulgence after dinner, Jeni’s always hits the spot. This is one of those places I’ll keep coming back to, no matter where I am.
Ellen B — Google review
Unique flavors that somehow just work! We had had pints of Jeni’s from the grocery store but were thrilled for the opportunity to try ice cream from the scoop shop itself and we were not disappointed! We shared the ice cream flight which comes with 10 scoops of 10 different flavors and waffle cone pieces on the side. Each flavor was unique and offered something different. My favorite was the “everything bagel” which was a savory ice cream and very different from anything I’d had before. My wife’s favorite was the honey vanilla bean. All the ice creams were soft, creamy and not overly sweet. Some of the best ice cream we’ve had! Hope to see them open a shop in Kansas City someday!

American restaurant
Forno Kitchen + Bar is a modern American eatery located in Short North, Ohio. It's known for its swanky decor and serves stone-fired New American cuisine for dinner and weekend brunch. The restaurant is celebrated for its stone-fired pizzas, decadent appetizers, and elevated entrees. While not a dedicated allergen-free kitchen, the staff pays special attention to dietary restrictions. Forno also offers a distinctive lunch service from Tuesday to Friday with a menu that caters to various palates.
Forno's is freaking amazing! The food is quality is as delicious as its presentation. The service is friendly, helpful, informative, and attentive. The atmosphere is a VIBE! It fits and serves most purposes; from friend group, work group, date nights, and or just grabbing a drink at the bar. This is an all 5 restaurant, no complaints. We had such a great time, we went back again the following week.

Solid 3.5 Tim was super sweet and knowledgeable. Informed us of multiple things not listed on the menu (like garlic bread and special margarita). Spicy margarita- 3/5 Garlic bread- 4/5 a cheesy garlic bread. We weren't expecting the cheese, but it was still good. We asked for white balsamic reduction and pesto vinaigrette on the side. Both sauces 5/5 and took the garlic bread up a notch. Vegan white mushroom 3/5- flavor/ sauce was bland. 1/2 Chicken alfredo 1/2 pesto Alfredo 2.5/5- bland. The mushrooms also threw off flavor Pesto- great but lacked sustenance. I'd order again and add chicken and maybe red onion Overall nice ambience, decent food and drinks and conveniently located in the short north. Happy hour and late night specials + speakeasy. I'd say it's worth a visit !

Came here on a Saturday at noon (game day 🎉) and glad I made a reservation though there was still plenty of bar space available 🍸. 🥘 I tried the Eggs Purgatory Skillet, super tasty and filling. 🧀🍅 The Forno Grilled Cheese & Tomato Bisque was the real winner though… absolutely amazing! Definitely what I’ll be ordering next time 👏. ☕️ I also got an almond milk latte, not my favorite since the ice melted quickly and made it a bit watered down 😕. Overall, this spot really shines for their morning cocktails 🍹 and brunch dishes 🍳. A fun atmosphere, great for game day energy, and the food hits the spot!

Great vibes all around! Every employee I interacted with was amazing — super friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely incredible, and I highly recommend the meatballs! This is definitely a place I’ll remember next time I’m in Columbus. Make sure to visit the bar and ask for Engin — he was very attentive and made the experience even better. Thank you for a great time!

Found this gem and timing was poifect for their happy hour. Recommend… Garlic Shrimp Crispy Rice w/ tuna Scallops - best dish! Mussels - the occasional bit of sand, otherwise delicious Warmed Riccotta - would recommend! We had two rounds of cocktails and made it for around $90. We had the pleasure of having Luke as our server, he’s an absolute prince! Would go jack without hesitation, will have to try the za next time.

Overall 10/10 went on a Friday afternoon for brunch and it did not disappoint! Hostess was very sweet & kind. The atmosphere was such a vibe! Ordered the ahi tuna tacos (highly recommend) and the white pizza both were delicious!!!! Shout out to our server Andrea! She was so sweet (& gorgeous too!)

On list to try, definitely make reservations. Started with the arancini, which is to die for. Ordered the lobster ravioli, but server brought lobster rotini. Waitress must have missed heard me and would have been upset but I tried the rotini and had an "OMG, this is good" moment. So all forgiven. Brussel sprouts for sharing also excellent. Would definitely visit again.

Skillet is a trendy daytime spot that offers farm-to-table American fare in a modest yet hip ambiance. Their menus change based on the season and feature ingredients sourced from nearby farms. The restaurant aims to marry rustic and urban dining with its seasonal menu, offering farm-to-table classics with an urban edge. The flavors are described as complex but never complicated, providing a unique variety of Skillet Fare served in a welcoming atmosphere.
Changes the menu everyday?! This quaint but very pleasing restaurant offered us a nice breakfast this morning. Wondering how well they do on a daily basis, I was impressed with my biscuits and gravy and the French toast. The French toast was plentiful big and fluffy paired with a whipped butter and maple syrup. The biscuits were just as big in size and I'm glad I settled with only one instead of two! The chicken gravy was so flavorful and had a beautiful color. Seriously delicious. All of it! The cinnamon roll coffee was not to sweet but also not over bearing in coffee or espresso taste, just executed nicely. I love I got to see them purchasing local, they have an Amish van pull up front with a delivery of their fresh quality ingredients like eggs and bread! I have to return soon to try more dishes, I'm impressed.

Fantastic food and service! The French toast was easily some of the best I’ve ever had—thick, fluffy, and perfectly sweet. The cinnamon roll latte was also delicious, though a bit on the pricey side for the portion size, which is the only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5. That said, I’d absolutely recommend this place and would love to come back!
Phoebe B — Google review
I’m going to have to add on to the recent reviews. Skillet has been a wonderful place to visit since I moved to Columbus. The food is top notch. Pricey, yes. But it was a splurge I figured was worth it. Recently, it’s a serve yourself setup. My omelette comes in a cardboard food truck container that completely takes away from the experience. Before, it was plated nice, perfectly folded over omelette with micro greens on top. Now? It’s just thrown into a to go container. Serve yourself water is the same size as Dixie cups you use for mouthwash. And a $8 coffee which is the cinnamon roll latte (usually to die for) is served in a GFS paper cup now. Not sure we will be going back based on these new changes. Hopefully this feedback finds its way to create change again.

We have been going to this restaurant for a few years and it has always been a favorite. Food has always been great, prices were reasonable and the service was always good. Today, we walked in to a different restaurant - no one greeted us at the door like they used to, just stand in the doorway waiting for a seat. If it was crowded, we would have left. No one serves you, you have to order on your phone and pay the same way. I would understand if the prices were lowered to reflect the decrease in service, but they don't seem to have changed. Fewer seats, no ambiance and miserable service. Our food came out quickly but our drinks didn't come out till we were halfway through our meals. The guy who makes the drinks also has to direct people coming in and that detracted from his efficiency. Very disappointed in the changes and we WILL NOT be coming back. If I want to serve myself, I'll stay home and save the money

We just ate at Skillet for the first time and loved it! Owner is super nice, and the restaurant is small, intimate and charming. Coffees are super good (Cinnamon Bun Latte - hot, Cold Brew with Maple honey to sweeten). My wife and I both ordered the Pimento Omelet, and it was very delicious; our daughter had the Cheesy Hashbrowns - also very delicious. I must comment that the plates of other food coming out of the kitchen looked soooo delicious! Will definitely be back here MUCH more. 😃👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We have made a decision not to go back. They've made shocking changes to the dining experience that doesn't work for us. Gone are the stylish dinner plates, amazing unique pottery coffee cups, condiments, complimentary water, and most of the wait staff. Expect to pay for tap water, condiment style hot sauce, and for each cup of coffee (no refills). 100% point of sale service and 100% paper plates, coffee cups, and plastic utensils. Orders must be placed by mobile device (QR Code) or via a single kiosk. Payment is tediouly typed in including all your card digits, expiration date, security code, first and last name, email, and phone number, and tip before your order can be placed. Today I placed about a $50 order for 2 but when the food came, I realized I had forgotten the hot sauce. I was informed I had to pay for it. So, again, I scanned the QR code, payment, phone number etc. all over again. I've been to Skillet many, many times, and had always recommended it to friends and tourists. The food is still awesome, the coffee excellent, and their homemade hot sauce is fantastic. If you're willing to adjust to the new payment system, minimal staff engagement, using paper products, clearing your own table like a fast food restaurant, for a once elevated dining experience, you won't be disappointed.

My family three did not get to eat here because there were no open seats. The place is very small. They may have about 10 tables that sit 2 people It is a first-come-first-serve, wait at the door. The only host service is a sign just inside the door that says to seat yourself. When we arrived, all tables were booked and it look like most people were waiting still for their food, which is not a good sign for people waiting outside. The menu looks good, but the space is very limited.
A M — Google review
The restaurant that doesn’t want to be a restaurant. The food is good most times. They change the menu a lot so sometimes it’s better than others. - there are 5 tables in the building and you can’t reserve any. And there’s no waiting list even if you show up you just have to wait outside the front door and fight for a table. - there aren’t any service employees, they actually don’t want you talking to them or interacting with them at all, no servers, no host. - you have to pay for water - can’t really ask questions about the food as you order on your phone and can’t make any modifications. - no espresso just 9 dollar drip coffees with sugar - they basically were like we want a restaurant but don’t want to be open (only open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until 2.) we also don’t want to have human interactions, they don’t even want to bring you the food you have to order on your phone then pick up from a table, they don’t want to have dishes to do. Everything is paper and plastic.

SUPERB!!! First stop after landing from FL. AMAZING service from the staff / owner Gina + FANTASTIC food. Eggs, toast, bacon, etc. were awesome. Wife ordered waffles with bacon and strawberries. Scotty's Cafe & Catering by Scott is located on East Broad Street near Bexley. It’s a cozy family owned restaurant. It has to be one of the top famous places to eat in central Ohio with big servings of food at inexpensive prices. Everything is made in house from scratch and their desserts look absolutely delicious. I was too full to try anything more than the, French Toast, The Reuben, The Schmoozer and Gabbie’s Tuna Melt. Anything you order is sure to please and the diner has this super cool and nostalgic 1950’s - 1960’s vibe. Scott and Gina are absolutely amazing people and so is their food! If you haven’t been, it needs to be on your bucket list!

I would have given a full 5 stars if I didn’t have a sensitive stomach who sometimes has a hard time without specific items on the menu HOWEVER WE LOVEEEEEE SCOTTTYYYYSSSS 🔥🔥🔥 I bring my friends and loved ones here when they need to feel like they just came home. When they need the staff to greet them like family and serve them like royalty. This is one place that deserves an award for comfort alone. The food is traditional diner / deli classic breakfast and lunch. As long as you’re not prissy and better than everyone, you can find something here. Not only that, but you’ll definitely find some dessert you like! Even if you’re not hungry, bring your friends in and let them eat while the wonderful family of Scotty’s reminds you why it’s beautiful to be alive and welcomed in a community. Surround yourself with people who greet you with a smile and you’ll always find a place to go.

This is the first time that I’ve had the opportunity to visit the cafe, but I have been at weddings where Catering By Scott was the caterer. First, Scott (the owner) is just an amazingly genuine and kind person! The catering has always been amazing, and our visit to his cafe was also amazing. The cafe was packed, but they are so quick to clear tables as soon as someone leaves, and minimize the wait time for any guests in line. The wait staff was amazing. Drinks were always quickly refilled. server was quick to take our order, and the food was delivered promptly. My son and I are both gluten free and they were able to serve the egg salad sandwich and patty melt that we ordered on toasted, gluten free bread. The food was great and we were in and out in less than 45 minutes. Scott was personally out in the cafe greeting guests and making sure that everyone had a great experience! Highly recommend! Great experience and we hope to visit again soon!

Wow, this is probably the friendliest restaurant I've ever been to. There was a small wait when we got there, but they sat us quickly. The owner and his wife came by multiple times to say hello and and see how our meals were. The staff was extremely friendly(three servers came to our table to bring food, take orders ,etc)and made sure our food was right. It was our first time and they gave us a serving of French toast on the house to try and gave both our kids free cupcakes at the end of our meal. The food was good but the atmosphere was phenomenal. You could tell the owner really cares and loves his job. It was such a pleasant experience and we will definitely come back.

The German Village Coffee Shop, also known as Das Kaffe Haus, has been a beloved part of the Columbus community since it opened its doors in 1981. This old-school diner, located on the outskirts of downtown Columbus, offers a nostalgic experience with its unchanged vintage decor. Despite its name, it's more renowned for being a classic diner than a coffee shop and is considered one of the top breakfast spots in the city.
The German Village Coffee Shop is hands-down my favorite place for breakfast — the spot I’ll always choose when I want something genuine and satisfying. There’s something timeless and comforting about this place. It’s traditional in all the best ways: no frills, just great food made right, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first time. The breakfast is consistently delicious, with classics done exactly how you want them. Whether it’s the perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, or their signature pancakes, everything feels homemade and hearty. The service is friendly and down-to-earth, which just adds to the charm. If you’re looking for an authentic, traditional breakfast spot with no gimmicks — just great food and great people — this is it.

Loved this place. Basic good breakfast food at a cheap price for the area. The young guy working as a host is weirdly accurate with guessing wait times, we waited 28 minutes and he said 30 after just looking around the restaurant when we came in. Super welcoming and organized place. I hope to come back soon!

This restaurant deserves a 6 out of 5. I just finished some eggs over easy with amazing leftovers because the portions are so generous. Haven't had a breakfast this good in years. Getting seated at first was quite complicated. There was a sign in the front stating "wait to be assisted." After being seated outside was served by not only one, but two different servers. Fairly quick service but they were packed for brunch this Saturday. Food was very good though! Highly recommend the salmon Benedict. The other dish was the black bean patties and poached egg. The bastad (toast) was very hard unfortunately. The mimosas, regular and hibiscus were both delicious!

One street back behind the main road, so it's a little ducked off. Which made it perfect to sit outside without the heavy flow of traffic. I ordered the Callah French toast and the following sides: roasted potatoes with garlic and rosemary, two scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage. Although the flavor was the prices were a little high. Everything is all a la carte so I ended up paying about $27 for for breakfast/brunch which is on the high side. It would be nice for some of the main breakfast items to come with a least 1 side. I usually don't get any fruit on top of my breakfast food, but those caramelized bananas were everything! Everything! It added a great flavor to the front toast. They were out of ice when my coworker and I went so we didn't order the cocktails we wanted. The staff was very friendly and quick.

This is unfortunately a review that I didn’t want to write. We’ve visited Tasi several times in the past and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed our experience, even though it’s always seemed to have longer than usual wait times for seating and getting your order, it was worth the wait. This time our experience was certainly not. First thing you notice is that they have two people waiting on the entire place, clearly they have fallen victim to understaffing, but it also seemed like their entire kitchen crew was different this time which seems to signify to me they have high turn over, which usually directly correlates to underpaying and usually abuse of staff. Never once have I seen the actual owner on site, and clearly the place is being run on a skeleton crew. Next was the food. We waited 45 minutes before I waitress came over to let us know that the kitchen staff had accidentally put our order paper on the bottom. And after over an hour of waiting for our food we were very disheartened by the results. I ordered an open faced salmon breakfast, with side of fruit, and side Caesar salad. My husband ordered chicken panini. First thing I noticed when the food got to me was my salad. Lettuce was noticeably wilted, and had the orange tinge that makes you realize it’s not very fresh lettuce. Then I noticed that before the croutons were wonderful and had been lightly fried, not only were they not fried but they were literally just cut up pieces of uncooked bread. Then the cheese had noticeable blue mold on it. The fruit in the fruit cup had wrinkly and old blueberries and cut up strawberries that had clearly made it past their freshness date by a couple of days. And the pineapple looked old too. The open face salmon was good but it comes with onion and capers. It had one caper and no onions. And my husband had homemade chips with his that were neither hot nor crispy, they were stale. Last but not least there was a dead fly stuck to my salad plate. Until Tasi can work out their staffing issues and work on their quality control we won’t be going back.

The veggie burrito is so good! They have the perfect balance of ingredients in the burrito. Also the roasted rosemary potatoes complimented the burrito well. The fries were crispy and tasty. My girlfriend really enjoyed her Salad as well.

We got very lucky when we visited this location because we were able to grab a seat right away. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the meal. My husband and I were visiting from Chicago and and expected way more from the $65 bill. We ordered the veggie wrap, blueberry pancakes and the bagel sandwich. The wrap was soggy, the eggs were over cooked and it lacked flavor overall. The pancake batter was overworked which resulted in gummy pancakes and the bagel sandwich was lackluster for the price. It’s not worth the price, the wait (if there is one) or the search for street parking.

Diner
American restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
DK Diner, short for Donut Kitchen, is a cozy mom-and-pop diner in Grandview Heights that has been serving classic comfort food and hand-crafted signature donuts for over 20 years. The restaurant faced seating challenges due to COVID-19 restrictions but adapted by adding more outdoor seating and doubling the total number of available tables. Despite the limited space, DK Diner remains a popular spot for families to enjoy breakfast on weekends.
I have been looking for a good, classic diner in Columbus for a while now and this is exactly that! From the self serve coffee bar to the delicious pancakes made with their donut batter, this place truly has it all. We tried the blueberry pancakes, breakfast tacos, the jam, and a side of potatoes all the way. Everything we so yummy and hit the spot. The atmosphere both inside and outside really makes this place unique and I will 100% be coming back!! Also, not to mention, the donuts are delicious!!! I tried a traditional glazed, and it was the softest, pillowiest donut Ive ever tried. It's a must try.

What a cute little diner. Tucked away in the neighborhood with not much parking , it's still worth checking out. You get complimentary, serve yourself coffee and donuts while waiting . There's a wide variety of things to make your coffee exactly how you love it. The menu is small but filled with yummy favorites. Prices are comparable to most places now, fairly cheap I'd even say. Everything was delicious and served pretty quickly. The service was great and we will definitely be back

Stepout Columbus highly recommended DK diner, so my wife and I made the trip to the diner. First and foremost, the doughnuts are outstanding. Some of the best doughnuts I've ever had. The breakfast was okay. For the price of biscuits and gravy, I would have liked to see hashbrowns added. The service was pretty much help yourself. And obviously, with everything going on, there is a 50 cent upcharge on each egg. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience.

Cute local diner. Very quick service. Self service drinks. Had the French toast. It was quite disappointing. 2 small pieces of toast cut in half. Came with bacon but I was still starving afterwards. Toast itself was nothing special. Donut sandy was a better choice for my partner.

We got donuts and coffee only on a warm Saturday afternoon. First, the donuts were very classic and unpretentious. Moist, flavorful, and no nonsense. The ambience was… diner— but with some outdoor seating. We walked, but parking seemed difficult. Great service!

Best donuts in Columbus. Picked up donuts today because I wanted to try your limited lemon one. It was absolutely delicious! My other favorites are the sour cream, devils food, and blueberry. Every time I get these to share with family, work, or friends they always ask where they are from because they can’t believe how good they are.
Becca R — Google review
This small diner is located in the heart of Grandview, OH on the corner of 3rd Avenue. The food is pretty good, but be prepared for a wait due to limited seating. Beverages are self-serve, and there’s often a long line at the cashier when paying for your ticket. DK is known for their large size donuts but I wasn’t impressed with the donuts at all. Management needs to work on adding another pay station or fixing the QR code payment option so customers don’t have to wait 20 plus minutes to pay for their meal.
Brina D — Google review
This is one of our favorite places in Columbus! The people at the counter are so nice and somehow remember us, even though the restaurant is always really busy. The donuts are amazing, and the food is great too. But if possible, the people are even better… One time after my first baby I stopped by to get a donut all sweaty and tired with my three week old, and the person at the counter waived the charge. It was a really kind gesture that got me through the week. I will always remember how nice they were, and it always makes our day when we get the chance to stop by!

Filipino restaurant
Restaurant
Bonifacio is a laid-back spot in Columbus, Ohio that offers a variety of modern Filipino dishes, including bar bites, entrees, and desserts alongside an array of cocktails. The restaurant provides a casual dining experience for visitors looking to explore contemporary Filipino cuisine in a relaxed setting.
The food and drinks at Bonifacio are simply incredible. 10 stars out of 5. Flavorful, colorful, varied, and of course very tasty. I’m not one for desserts but their Ube Carioca was a standout in particular. As for the service, My group was a large party, and there were a couple of small mishaps related to that. Our waitress did not take too kindly to us informing her that one of our orders was incorrect. Frankly her behavior was rude, but I will give her grace due to how large our party was and how busy the restaurant was. So busy in fact, that a reservation is basically a requirement. But not surprising considering the quality of food and very fair prices for what you get. Overall a magical experience, and a must visit in columbus.
PeytonYoung — Google review
I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The service was impressively fast and attentive — our food arrived quickly, yet everything was clearly made fresh and with care. You can tell the staff truly values both efficiency and quality, which made the entire meal even more enjoyable. The standout for me was the bistek entrée with garlic rice — absolutely amazing. The beef was tender, perfectly cooked, and packed with savory flavor. The garlic rice complemented it beautifully, fragrant and rich without being too heavy. Every bite felt like pure comfort food elevated with finesse. I also tried the ube espresso martini, and it blew me away. The flavor was creative and well-balanced — smooth, slightly sweet, and with just the right kick of espresso. It’s one of those drinks you’ll remember and definitely come back for. Even the adobo seasoning on some of the dishes stood out. It had so much depth and flavor — tangy, rich, and aromatic. You can tell the recipes are made with passion and respect for authentic Filipino taste. Overall, fast service, great food, and unforgettable flavors — a must-visit spot.

Bonifacio was AMAZING! We are so lucky to have this Filipino gem right here in Columbus. Everything I ate was delicious. It was a little tricky for me eating here being a vegetarian and allergic to soy. But the waitress and kitchen staff worked super hard to make sure I could find something and eat safely. A lot of their dishes are cooked in soy sauce but there are still options, don’t let it deter you!

Visiting from out of town. Wanted to try something different. Palce did not disappoint. Great lumpias with tatsty sauce. The deep fried pork belly was bery good, crispy and geat flavor sauce. The miced drink tasted very good and was well balanced. The chicken marinated in coconut and lemon grass was very tender and tasty. Service at the bar was excellent! Overall, a great experience!
Big-J — Google review
Love the food! As a fellow Filipino, visiting Bonifacio felt like coming home. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with the familiar aroma of home-cooked Filipino dishes and the warmth of genuine hospitality. We Love it!! And they are Proud ally too 🏳️‍🌈

We always love our experience at Bonifacio. Boodle night is the best. Lychee martini is a must. We have never had a bad dish here. They are always busy, a blessing and a curse. Make a reservation!
Erin K — Google review
I recently went here for a large (10+) birthday dinner. The dinner attendees loved both the boodle style and the food itself. Also, we had some allergies in the group, and the server/kitchen was so helpful in working with us! Even after we left the restaurant, the dinner attendees were still raving about the food. If you come with a large party, be sure to make reservations beforehand. For parties of 10 or more, you do have to put down a small deposit when making the reservation ($5/person - an amount you'll definitely spend anyway!), but that part of the check went super smoothly as well. 10/10, highly recommend!
Laura H — Google review
I must say I had one of the best dining experiences here, so much so I made it a point to get this out to the universe! 😁 I also posted a before and after dinner plate. Evidence that I left as little as I could. One highlight has to be the serving on leaves under a wooden plate. Typically you would eat with your hands but I elected to stick to the silverware, boo me! The ribs were something else, slow cooked, falling off the bone with what I can only describe as a gravy sauce from culinary heaven full of so much flavor, I can still taste it. I even wanted to put it on my rice, it was so good. The crispy Tofu has to be one on your list, light but crispy. The drinks were a highlight as well, a beautiful Espresso martini & mai tai just topped off my foodgasm! 😁😆 Being from San Antonio TX. I highly recommend this spot, whether you're a local or passing through. You're bound to experience the level of service i had, the bar staff was excellent, deserving of so much recognition. Thumbs up friends. 🙂

Comune is a stylish and sophisticated restaurant located in Columbus, offering hearty, plant-based plates that take center stage. The menu features innovative and eclectic vegetarian dishes influenced by Chef Matt Harper's experience at renowned establishments. The restaurant, situated on the edge of German Village, provides shareable dishes like falafel wraps and semolina cavatelli along with a selection of natural wines.
Always a treat! The food is incredible—every dish is prepared wonderfully with careful consideration of every single detail. The watermelon carpaccio was delicious! The drinks were balanced and the server made great recommendations. I highly recommend this restaurant to all vegetarians, but even more importantly, to anyone looking to try something new or explore vegetarian foods. It will absolutely not disappoint!💕
Melissa P — Google review
All their dishes are spectacularly visually and delectably pleasant. It’s a shame that the Chef and owners don’t take the easy step from going vegetarian to vegan. Seemed that they would be capable of crafting delicious dishes without eggs and diary

I visited with my parents recently. Mac was our server and she went above and beyond to make us feel well taken care of. The food was excellent. We ordered several dishes to share and they were at once refined and down to earth. YUMMY is the first word that comes to mind. Cocktails and wine were also great. I don't live in OH but will be adding this to my list of places to visit each time I'm in town.
Tess O — Google review
Comune never disappoints! The atmosphere is inviting, it's full of plants, candles, and kind people. The massive pita with 3 rotational spreads is a favorite of mine, and you can never go wrong with the crispy rice. Everything is flavorful and filling. Even though I don't drink, plenty of family/friends of mine have gotten great cocktails and wine that pair perfectly with the food!
Zoe — Google review
This has to be one of the best spots in Columbus. I try to go at least once per season to taste the rotating menu and I'm never disappointed. Cocktails are also on point. Photo dump from a multitude of meals (yes we get the bread and spread every time. It's a must)
Lauren M — Google review
Comune is refined vegetarian/vegan dining. The food changes seasonally, but each dish is crafted carefully and beautifully. The atmosphere is industrial modern, but an inventing and unpretentious execution. While it is definitely a pricier establishment, the food will not disappoint in flavor and presentation for those who are looking for vegetarian/vegan friendly finer dining.
PeytonYoung — Google review
We had food here and it was amazing! Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. The place has a calm, beautiful vibe.. We sat outdoors and it was really nice to sit and enjoy a meal. It is a bit pricey, but totally worth it for the quality and experience. The staff was kind and service was great. Would definitely recommend!
Meena M — Google review
Reservations strongly recommended. My daughter who eats a vegan diet encouraged me to keep an open mind. This is for the highly evolved palette. Lots of menu items you won’t find at a traditional restaurant. The chef prepares a beautiful dish, but the food isn’t for all. I chose a Caesar salad that was the best Caesar salad I’ve ever had. The pasta was good. The desert was extraordinary. Ambience was awesome. Staff is very engaged and take your visit very seriously.

The Lox Bagel Shop in Columbus offers a unique blend of New York and Montreal bagel styles, with hand-rolled, boiled, and fire-baked options. Their crispy-chewy bagels come in various flavors and are topped with spreads like beet and thyme cream cheese. The cafe also serves savory breakfast sandwiches such as the pastrami, egg, and cheese on crispy fried potato wedges or the namesake Lox sandwich with zesty capers and crisp onion.
Wow, Lox Bagels… you’ve truly blown me away! I just experienced the most incredible breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting. I got the Southwest with bacon on a salt and herb bagel, complemented perfectly by a refreshing blueberry mint lemonade. The bagel was nothing short of perfection, crispy on the outside, warm and chewy on the inside. The herbs went beautifully with the kick of the poblanos. When I return to Columbus, I will definitely be coming back for more. You’ve set a new standard in breakfast sandwich greatness. 10/10 absolutely, without a doubt, would recommend!
Aislinn R — Google review
Love this place so much! The bagels are incredible, very New York style, chewy, amazing flavor and texture. Tons of sandwich options, or just get a bagel and cream cheese: plenty of different flavors! Also…. oh my god, the fried potato. This might be my favorite bite of food in the city. Get a side of egg sauce! Great vibe also: very laid back, clean, and super kind staff. Angling to become a regular.

My husband and I went to Lox on a Saturday morning! Wow was it packed! The place is such an adorable and quant restaurant It had plenty of seating inside and an adorable patio outside. We both ordered the lox bagel. Mine on sea salt and his on sesame! OH MY GOSH…. These bagels were to die for. They make the bagels right there in the shop. They’re super super fresh and the sandwiches were amazing. Don’t get me started on the service. Their team there was above top notch! I can’t say enough about how exceptional our breakfast was!

Went in around 10:30 am on a Saturday in August and only waited ~3 minutes to order! What a surprise! We were prepared to wait for a few extra minutes. We ordered the egg and cheese (with sausage) on a salt and herb bagel. The bagel was so delicious. It was crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. It had large flakes of salt on it and the herbs were not over powering (love). We also ordered an everything bagel with lox (added egg). Also very delicious. We will be coming back tomorrow! It was about $30 for two bagels adding protein to each bagel.

Stopped in after searching for good bagels in Columbus. Chatted with the owner a little on social media and was super excited to stop in. At arrive I noticed the line was of length which is usually a good sign. I ordered the sea salt and herb bagel with chive cream cheese, generous on the cream cheese. As well as the potatoes as were recommended by the owner. The bagel itself was delicious. Good crunch to chewy fluff ration good flavor. The bagel itself solid. Personally they were not generous with the cream cheese as requested and honestly even short changed in the amount for a normal bagel. For the cost I’d expect they would give you an amount cream cheese that was fair. As for the recommended crispy potatoes… well they missed the mark. Light airy fry on them but completely flat on flavor. Zero seasoning and salt. Which with the bagel being well seasoned I was at a shock. I had to go to the counter and request salt to Sprinkle over the potatoes to make them Even semi worth it. If properly seasoned they are probably delicious but what I received 100% missed the mark and after being an owner recommendation thats worry some.
Matthew H — Google review
Cute bagel moment in cbus. They are a bit on the smaller side and prepare for a line. There were plenty of tables open, though! I thought the sea salt and herb bagel was an interesting blend and I’m glad I tried it. Very appreciative of the vegan cashew spread as well!
Ella H — Google review
I got the lox with egg on an everything bagel. The bagel, spicy chive cream cheese and egg were of excellent quality. The letdown was the lox itself. It wasn’t fresh at all and had a strong odour. I’ve eaten lox my whole life and I understand there is a smokey fishy taste but this was not tbat. It just wasn’t fresh and had that old fish odour. I had to take it out to enjoy the rest of my bagel. I also ordered the house made Blueberry Mint Lemonade and it was delicious. Id come back for the egg and cheese bagels next time.
Aisha H — Google review
We tried this spot for the first time on Saturday morning and the egg & cheese bagels were just okay. Honestly, we’ve had better bagels in Columbus. The wait was insane and may be normal for any Short North restaurant/cafe —about 20 minutes in line to order, plus another 20 minutes to finally get our food. Parking can be tricky; you might get lucky finding a free parking spot in their parking lot otherwise there’s paid street parking available. Limited seating tables and chairs. The employees were kind enough to bring orders out to customers. Tip: place your order online (about 25–30 minute normal wait) so it’s ready when you arrive.

Fox in the Snow Café is a quaint Italian Village café that has gained national acclaim for its high-quality coffee and rustic, made-from-scratch baked goods. The café has large windows that flood the interior with natural light, and is popular for its breakfast sandwiches and espresso drinks.
I'm a huge fan of Fox in the Snow. I've been going to other locations for the past ~8 years, but I recently started going to this location regularly. They have the same high-quality pastry case with a good variety of sweet/savory items. You literally can't go wrong with anything -- I don't think I've ever disliked anything I tried! They also have good quality coffee and good quality people. This location seems to be much less crowded in the mornings than other locations, so no need to anticipate a line out the door. One of Columbus' finest!
Kessashun A — Google review
We had a wonderful time at our stop at Fox in the Snow! The staff was amazing, the food was incredible and the coffee was divine! Seriously, we came in like a whirlwind, a toddler, infant and 4 adults, we aren’t the usual clientele but we were welcomed and never made to feel like we were too much or need to hurry out. We got to sit and visit before we left and went our separate ways. As a bonus, all of the fox décor made my heart happy. We made some fond memories on this trip and Fox in the Snow Cafe is one of the best! Would highly recommend it and will look forward to coming back someday when we’re in the area again!

Really excellent pastries and baked goods - I am a huge pastry snob and theirs are all good. Also great that they gave a good mix of both sweet and savory options. Loved the seasonal pumpkin muffin and everything bagel danish creation. Gets very busy especially on the weekends, so atmosphere is a bit chaotic but it’s a really nice space.

After a game of pickleball at Schiller Park, I stopped by the German Village location of Fox in the Snow—and it hit the spot. Whether you’re refueling after being active or just looking for a quiet mid-morning escape during the workweek, this location is ideal. I ordered a blueberry scone, the ham and cheese sandwich, the everything vegan croissant, and a chai latte. As always, their chai never disappoints—when I’m in the mood for one, this is my go-to. The ham and cheese sandwich was the unexpected star. I went in thinking it would be a small snack, but it was generously filled and surprisingly satisfying. The sesame seed topping added a nice crunch. I do wish they’d offer to heat it up, but they don’t. The everything bagel croissant was flavorful, but just a heads-up: the center tends to be a bit doughy. Not a deal-breaker, just something to expect. The blueberry scone was okay—visually beautiful, but it flakes down the middle and felt a little dry. I think halving the thickness would help distribute the sugary topping more evenly throughout each bite. Overall, Fox in the Snow is a great spot for a light, quality bite in a charming neighborhood. The menu has standouts, the setting is peaceful, and it’s a perfect pit stop if you’re in the area.

Super cute cafe with lots of options. All of their pastries are so good and fresh. Service was great. The coffee was good too. They use the cutest, daintiest glasses for water.
Morgan D — Google review
A lovely spot for an excellent latte, their coffee is full bodied and cuts through the layer of perfectly steamed milk. They also make a very good chai latte. The egg sandwich is the go to here and deservingly so. The perfectly toasted bun and great balance between egg, arugula, and bacon should be part of every order. While borderline too sweet, their sticky buns have the perfect texture and loads of pecans.
T C — Google review
The cinnamon rolls and sticky buns are so good. Ham and cheese is delicious. Went on a Saturday morning and the line was out the door. The line moved quickly. Seating was hard to come by, but we managed to snag a table. Fast paced and noisy. They keep it clean and staff is on top of it. I recommend!

Emmett's Cafe is a charming Australian-style coffee shop with two locations in Columbus, Ohio. The Old North location, housed in the historic Open Air School building, offers a unique setting for enjoying expertly crafted coffee and thoughtfully prepared breakfast options. From the popular Aussie cap to the handheld breakfast sandwich and hearty breakfast burrito loaded with tater tots, there's something for everyone. This cozy neighborhood cafe also provides ample space to relax and enjoy your food and drink.
We absolutely love Emmett's. The staff is always friendly, the atmosphere is clean and inviting and they have a lot of outdoor seating which is so great. Whether you're getting just a black coffee, a specialty drink, or a tea, you're going to enjoy what they are serving up. The breakfast menu is small, but oh so delicious. I think they have one of my all time favorite breakfast burritos, it's absolutely gigantic! Never had a bad experience here.

Busy but what do you expect on a Sunday morning-coffee was great, I had the salted maple latte with an extra shot and whole milk, wife had a chai with oat milk and we shared the breakfast burrito. We talked about how good the burrito was all the way home. We’ll def be back next week. The avocado was a nice touch.

We tried this location because it’s closer to us, but I won’t be coming back. The Neil St. location is miles better in every way. Here, the portions are noticeably smaller! my oatmeal was literally half the size compared to Neil St location, yet the price is the same. They only provide to-go cups and packaging even for dining in, which feels inconvenient and a bit cheap. Even the “one-handed sandwich” wasn’t the same as what we’ve had before. Hopefully, management takes feedback like this seriously, because right now this spot doesn’t hold up to their other location!
Collab N — Google review
I was excited to try this place but after our service and experience, i was very disappointed. My friend and I went early in the morning on a Sunday and it wasn’t very busy at all. We chose to sit outside at their back patio and specifically told them we were not taking our food to go and we wanted to eat there. We received our food in a paper bag. No plates, no boxes, nothing. I ordered the breakfast burrito and i asked for the sauce to be on the side and surprise there was no sauce included and it wasn’t in the burrito. I went inside to ask for some boxes and the barista had a sassy attitude with me for no reason at all. For how much they charge for their food and them asking for a tip, i would expect better service. Their food portions are small as well. Nothing special at all. Maybe visit their other location but this one was not it.
Megi — Google review
Food is good, coffee is decent, service needs work. There's a night and day difference in the customer service when the girl is behind the counter. The guy is always sighing and in a bad mood and talks to you like you're a problem for visiting the establishment. Cooks can also be heard in the kitchen making fun of people for what they order. It happened to me once and then I heard it happen to someone else while waiting for coffee another time. Gave the place multiple tries - won't be back.

I was totally blown away by the lox. It was incredibly delicious! The Emmything was also an absolute highlight—you can tell they put a lot of love and high-quality ingredients into everything. A fair warning, though: This place is extremely popular and has very limited seating. Be prepared to stand in line for a while, but don't let that discourage you! Definitely my favorite place in central Ohio to go see live music. Very broad beer selection, and always good service. The food's not bad but I rarely eat when I'm there. They have a good liquor selection, nice patios and outdoor space, ample TVs for game watching, and a ton of high tops and chairs available in the main room. Sound in the main concert hall is always solid and I've even seen people bring their kids shows like Sierra Hull. How Woodlands is able to afford to book the talent that they do is a mystery to me. Every year, they consistently have a killer line of national, regional and local bands and musicians. If you're here from out of town and you like good live music and good beverages, Woodlands Tavern should be your evening spot...

User friendly venue for local and national acts; front room warm up bands, no cover, before ticketed show in the back. Check out the menu and drink options. Sweet patio scene as well.

Wings were delicious! Staff a little negligent on caring or consideration how our food and drinks were after serving. Pop/Soda was absolutely awful 😖 Lemonade was good though. Came for ROC/Grateful Dub concert with my kiddo.

It definitely has a neighborhood bar feeling to it. It was great to see the bartender talking to everyone she knew what drinks they all like!! They had a good happy hour going for beer. I love the vibes.

Stopped in for a quick bite, before a show at the Shottenstein Center. Was drawn to a wide tap selection, menu, and good reviews. Overall great experience. Ordered at the bar and food was brought to our patio table. Potato wedges were probably the best I’ve had. Would recommend to anyone, and stop in again.

Excellent little live venue! Food is excellent and beer options are plentiful. Really cool place! Parking is tough the first time around but once you figure it out its simple. Service can be kind of rough but I've seen their bar service under staffed during a busy show and the waits were short and nobody really was wanting for anything. They do a good job of taking care of people. When you have their attention they're very attentive. I love this place!

Third & Hollywood is a trendy spot in Grandview Heights, offering upscale American cuisine and a popular Sunday jazz brunch. The restaurant has been a staple in the area for 12 years, maintaining an intimate and sophisticated atmosphere. Their menu features standout items like cheddar herb biscuits, rainbow trout, and filet mignon. After enjoying a meal here, visitors can explore the local businesses around Grandview Ave or grab coffee from nearby cafes like Grandview Grind or Staufs Coffee Roasters.
Made a reservation for a party of 12 (Saturday 5:45pm with a hard out by 7:30pm for the next party), had a great time overall! Valet parking right next to the restaurant was nice and allowed us not to worry about finding parking in the area. Food and service were solid. Restaurant vibes are nice. The fish sandwich was delicious.

Celebrated my birthday here. It was the perfect ambiance and mood for celebrating. Our waitress was the best and so friendly. The food was delicious. The roasted chicken and the filet. The strawberry shortcake was to die for. So fresh and full of flavor.

What an ABSOLUTE GEM!!! The restaurant gives off a charming yet cozy feel, with moody dim lighting and a big crackling fireplace in the center of the dining room that makes you feel at home🤎 we also had the most incredible and accommodating server, shoutout to Jay who hand wrote his favorite Columbus foodie recommendations out for us since we’re new to the area!!! NOW ONTO DINNER: the iron skillet cheddar biscuits are an absolute must!! Served warm and brushed with salted better, they’re just delicious👌🏽followed by the grilled artichokes served with an excellent creamy remoulade!! We also ordered the Hollywood Salad and the Barbequte pork ribs- the meat was fall of the bone tender and the coleslaw + fries complemented the dish perfectly!! I've been for multiple occasions- large group, date, solo. Each time is a very pleasant experience. The staff is friendly- special shout out to Georgia. The Atmosphere is classy yet comfortable. I honestly can't remember what all I've eaten but I know I like to tuna. It was my first experience with fresh tuna outside of sushi, different but good. Ive had the pimento cheese and remember it tasting better than expected, generally not my thing.. In love with the biscuits I get those regularly even when I don't eat in. Most recently I dined for lunch & tried to Mexi Cali steak salad which was good. IT'S HUGE. Needed salt and pepper but the ingredients were fresh. Liked the addition of charred biscuit pieces even though a some were too burnt. For the price, I think the steak portion could be bigger. I also tried the Spritz mocktail -can't remember the exact name, but it reminded me of Christmas/ winter season. Overall I would recommend. They have lunch and happy hour specials as well.

Took my wife here for our anniversary and it was great! The happy hour had a decent discount, but the complimentary biscuits were the reason to get excited. Drinks were balanced and tasted good. Dinner and apps were great, as you’d expect from a Cameron Mitchell joint. Star of the show was our server Ben F! Took great care of us and really kept up with us and made it a great anniversary dinner. Will be coming back.

First let me say the atmosphere is very nice. Love the trendy "Grandview vibe" as always. We had reservations for a birthday party. The tables were pretty much ready on time but they were set up awkwardly but we managed to make it work. Here is my complaints. We literally had to wait 40 minutes just to receive our drinks. That was in my opinion a long time. Only four adults received bar drinks. These are not cheap drinks $16 and up. My daughter actually was just about to go to the bar and get one there! So the drinks finally arrived. Next we ordered our selections of entrees . This was a party of thirteen people. Nothing too elaborate. Now I understand the fact that its a Friday evening and its busy however we waited another hour for our food. Unacceptable. We had several young adults with us who as we all know have little patience when they are hungry. I hated that this birthday party experience was somewhat stressful for all the guests. I did enjoy my entree when it finally arrived. The prices are rather expensive but the quality is there. You pretty much are forced to use the Valet parking however its the cheapest price tag there!

I’ve been to Third and Hollywood many times over the years and it is tried and true. I always come here for a special event, a business dinner or a birthday because the quality of the food is reliable and the service is generally great. The ambiance is also comfortable, it’s not pretentious but still nice and upbeat. The restaurant offers valet parking for $5, definitely use this as it can be a pain to find parking in the area! Tonight we started with the cheddar biscuits- a must! These are sometimes free or discounted during happy hour and they are incredible (but everything here is really good), I usually only get an order of 3 ($5) to save room for other things! We also got a house made ginger ale (very good with a nice amount of ginger) an aerol spritz and a brut champagne with dinner. Alcohol is roughly $12 a glass, the ginger ale was $5. The Little Gem Caesar ($14) is incredible, dressed perfectly with big chunky croutons which are to die for! For mains I often get the chicken ($34), it is always juicy and it’s served with croutons (just as delicious as with the Caesar salad) and arugula and the bitterness really balances out the dish. My dining partner got the Hanger Streak ($47) which has a delicious marinated and a tasty bean/corn dip on the side. For dessert they always give complimentary small cookies. I always look forward to these. They are a little salty but so good and just a small bite. We also ordered the pot de crème ($12) which was silky, smooth and a little salty too- really well balanced especially with the homemade whip crème! Overall an incredible meal, will definitely return again and again. Came back June 2024 for a business lunch very excellent service and food and the patio was open. Gotta get the biscuits! Came back May 2025 for a business dinner. Service is even better than before. Ordered the same classic dishes which were all excellent. Got the seasonal strawberry shortcake and it was delicious, as well as the pit de crème (which is one of my favorite desserts in Columbus!)

Restaurant
Asterisk Supper Club in Westerville offers a sophisticated setting for afternoon tea, craft cocktails, and upscale American cuisine. The venue pays homage to the area's history during prohibition, creating an ambiance that transports guests back in time with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and antique chandeliers. During the day, it transforms into a charming tea room where visitors can enjoy afternoon tea served on unique thrifted or donated tea services.
We were there with family on March 8,2025 We loved the teas, rose hibiscus, vanilla chai, mint and strawberries and cream. The truffle fries and tomato basil soup were amazing. The desserts were delicious. Parking is a bit tight.

In an era of glossy chains and trend-chasing eateries, Asterisk is the kind of restaurant that reminds you why we fall in love with local spots in the first place. Tucked into downtown Westerville, this cozy gem doesn’t scream for attention — it earns it, quietly, night after night. They are famous for their mushroom toast. Picture doesn’t do it justice. The drinks are delicious, served in unique and retro glassware. It’s the kind of place you take your parents when they visit, the spot you recommend when someone moves to the area, the restaurant you celebrate at because it already feels like part of your life. It’s not just a meal. It’s your neighborhood, served on a plate.

Amazing Vibes. Great Drinks. We came for dinner service, and were very impressed by the service, atmosphere, and drinks. The food was tasty, but nothing incredible for its price point. However, for afternoon tea, cocktails with friends, or a date night, i think this place is the perfect venue.

Super cute restaurant. Came here for dinner and for tea time with my best friend. All of the pastries/sandwiches/desserts were light and delicious. We had the best tea (I can’t remember which one now but it was with milk). The dinner and drinks menu is also superb. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cute British-esque atmosphere!

I paid $12 (+$10 to add salmon) for a Caesar salad to go after our dinner here so that I had something for my lunch the next day. Ordered at 8pm, opened around noon the following day. It was a bowl of browning lettuce - no cheese, no croutons, no dressing… 😭. The salmon was delicious, but I ended up taking it home and buying a Caesar salad kit to have it with. HUGE waste of money and super disappointing upon opening for lunch. I had pasta with shrimp for my actual dinner the night before and it was alright, 3.5/5. Cocktails were great.
Kymberly L — Google review
Pretty good, pretty pricey. Cocktails and the Cinnamon Bun Apple Pie dessert were our highlights. Really impressed by the Fortune Teller and Old Fashioned cocktails in particular. Food left a bit to be desired considering price - lacking salt and flavor overall. Truffle fries and wasabi aioli were excellent though.
Joe Y — Google review
The Chicken Sandwich with sweet chili ginger, cucumber and cabbage slaw, and wasabi aioli was incredible—every bite was spot on. The truffle fries with garlic aioli were just as good. We also tried the spinach and artichoke dip, which had great flavor but was a little watery. My husband ordered the meatloaf and had only good things to say, though I was too full from my meal to try it myself. I’m already looking forward to coming back for the tea service. The cozy library-inspired vibe inside was the perfect touch.

Our group of longtime high school friends recently reunited at Asterisk in charming downtown Westerville, and we couldn’t have picked a better spot. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance wrapped around us like a warm hug—equal parts vintage charm and inviting elegance. It truly felt like stepping into a different era, the kind that slows you down in the best way. The menu was equally nostalgic. Think elevated, vintage-inspired dishes that were both comforting and beautifully presented. Each bite was a delicious throwback to timeless flavors, with just enough of a modern twist to keep things exciting. A special shoutout goes to LaBron, our server, who made the evening exceptional. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and added such a genuine energy to our experience—his service made us feel like we were the only table in the room. We’re already planning our next visit for the incredible full-tea service for two. We've heard it's a relaxing, transportive experience—a true escape from the hustle of modern life. It sounds like the perfect way to spend quality time with friends, and we can't wait to go back. Highly recommend Asterisk for anyone who wants great food, impeccable service, and a moment to slow down and savor it all.

Mitchell's Ocean Club is an upscale supper club in Columbus, Ohio, known for its seafood focus and prime steaks. The restaurant offers a vibrant energy and stunning settings, making it perfect for intimate evenings or group gatherings. With a wide range of seafood and steak options, including the popular salmon and filet mignon dishes, as well as a signature wine list with over 50 options by the glass, Mitchell's Ocean Club promises an exceptional dining experience.
I’ve been to Ocean Club multiple times over the years for dinner, but last week was my first time in for brunch and it was amazing. Our waitress Monica was so kind and knowledgeable about the menu, every time I go to Ocean club the service is impeccable. I accidentally spilled my mimosa and the manager Peyton immediately got me another one. I was slightly embarrassed, but they made a lighthearted joke about it and helped lighten my mood. The food was delicious, absolutely delicious. I have never had a bad meal at Ocean Club, it is hands down my favorite restaurant!

My first experience at ocean club was wonderful! The restaurant was beautiful and clean and the staff were amazing. Lilly and the others hots were so friendly and helpful and we all felt very welcomed. Our server, Ethan, and his server assist, Jameson, were phenomenal and we were wowed by our amazing service. They were polite and very attentive with a positive attitude and in depth knowledge of the menu. The food was beyond delicious and was made in a timely manner for a Saturday night. I am so pleased with my experience there and I will be returning.

This is by far the best place to enjoy oysters, lobster, and especially the lobster bisque soup! Every dish was incredibly delicious and creamy, with generous chunks of fresh lobster in every bite. I’ve tried lobster bisque at many different restaurants, but none compare to the one here at Mitchell’s Ocean Club. This soup is on a whole other level — absolutely divine. By far a 10/10. Compliments to the chef! And don't forget to ask for Christian amazing server

Wow, this place was amazing! We got there on a Friday at 415pm for happy hour and the place was already packed. Get there early if you want preferred seating. This place has everything you would expect. Awesome food, thoughtful delicious drinks, and excellent service. You're paying top dollar and getting everything you expect in return. The sushi roll and calamari were great but the tortellini was incredible! One of the best things I've ever tried and wanted a loaf of bread to dip in the sauce. Just unreal. Highly recommend!

Oh-My-Gosh…we were in Columbus for a graduation and driving by spotted this sign. Turned out to be the only restaurant I have dined to have every-single-item be top tier in presentation and flavor. The best ever house salad, gourmet gator tops, creamed spinach, NY steak, sushi, twice baked potato, jumbo prawn cocktail, and top shelf drinks! The icing was our friendly, perfectly poised of information, extremely knowledgeable server, KYLIE!! Thank you Kylie, for making our family celebration extraordinary and memorable! Though we did not have a reservation…they asked us if we were celebrating something and then surprised us with graduation decorations on our table. Beautiful ambience as well! Their mindset is, “Yes, is the answer. What is the question?” The BEST!!

This ocean club has been one of the most popular decent restaurants at Easton for years. There are private rooms, a great bar, a rooftop patio, and many good-looking servers. I finally had a chance to eat here with my friend. Their seafood entrees were impressive with fresh seafood and chef’s innovations. The tuna tartare as an appetizer was phenomenal where juicy tuna was perfectly mixed with avocado and secret sauce. I would highly recommend the sea scallop entree. Juicy and tender scallops were grilled perfectly with decent risotto. Their martini tasted great with an alcohol marinated pineapple chunk. However, their sushi was mediocre. It tasted like those sold at Kroger with better tuna. Honestly, we were disappointed with the atmosphere of the dining room. This is my first time feeling crowded at a luxury restaurant because tables were extremely close to each other. It would not be surprising if I joined other people by turning around. The room was also very noisy. I could not hear clearly sitting in front of my friend. It was also hard for servers who sometimes had to push our chairs to get through. This should not happen at a luxury restaurant.

My husband and I were lucky enough to get a giftcard that let us dine here, and our experience was the best we could have asked for! Our waiter, whose English name was James, was so attentive and personable. The filet IS as good as everyone says, especially with the truffle butter. Get the goat cheese ravioli and Gouda tots! The cocktails were very good. Everything was TOP notch! We’ll be talking about this place forever.

Took my girlfriend here for here birthday last night and we had an amazing experience. Our waiter (James) was so good at making the experience even better and cannot say how great he was. We started with some cocktails, I had the Tequila cocktail which tasted so good. My girfriend had the passion martini and she loved it. Then we had some appetizers. The shrimp cocktail and a crab cake. Both were great! After that was dinner and it did not disappoint. Chilean sea bass for me and lobster tails for my GF. Amazing! We finished with dessert, peanut butter chocalate pie and warm butter cake! We loved our night at the Ocean club and would highly recommend for someone looking to have some great food. Only thing we did not care was the music was a little loud and hard to talk. Or maybe I'm just old. Lol overall great experience!!!

The Pearl is a sophisticated tavern by Cameron Mitchell, offering an upscale gastropub experience with an oyster bar. The menu features innovative dishes like pineapple marinated hanger steak and southern fried chicken paired with unique sides. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of culinary delights in the surrounding area, from artisanal ice cream at Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams to craft coffee at One Line Coffee.
There’s a reason The Pearl continues to be one of the best restaurants in Columbus Ohio. This time we went for brunch (a first for me). As always the atmosphere was great energy—exactly what you want for brunch. The spicy Bloody Mary was seasoned perfectly, served with a small miller high life to wash it down. The espresso martini was strong but still smooth. For starters the biscuit donuts, smoked salmon, and jalapeño corn spoon bread were so amazing like..? The jalapeño corn spoon bread is a staple there. Please get it. Our entrees were the peanut butter pancakes, biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon, and the shrimp and grits. For myself I got the eggs Benedict but prepared with this crab, etc. I wish I could repeat the whole description the waitress gave. It was a daily special for brunch and I’m so happy I took a chance on it. Incredible. Even if you’re not trying their weekend brunch, The Pearl always delivers. Busier nights might give way to few more bad experiences but this place will always consistently deliver when it to service and food. Great job.

We had a great happy hour experience at The Pearl. Our server Eric was excellent! He took the time to ask about our cocktail preferences and gave thoughtful recommendations based on what we were looking for. He made sure the drinks had no added sugar, just as we requested. When we were packing up our leftover cornbread, he brought extra whipped butter and honey, which no other server has done before. Eric was kind, attentive, and made our visit memorable. Highly recommend asking for him!

Ratings have it as 4.8 / 5.0 , I’d say my experience was 2.5 / 5.0. Busy place 6pm Wednesday night. They had no tables so I opted for the, I guess you could call middle height bar. Waiter was friendly, got my order but I never saw him again until he took my card to pay which alright maybe he had other tables I’m always an easy guest, but never came and got my empty dish or filled up water. First dish was good, nice tuna dish. Second dish was below average. Chicken was dry. It said roasted potatoes on the menu came with it, upon arrival there were only 4 on the plate. Maybe I just ordered the wrong dish. Waiter asked how dinner was, but he seemed he couldn’t care less that I told him the dish was below average. No one greeted me on the way out. I’m not here to tarnish a reputation, I just keep these for my own personal. Maybe I sat at the wrong seat, maybe the guy had other tables, I most likely ordered the wrong dish. But my experience wasn’t 4.8/5. 2.5 / 5.0

Great location on main center street of Columbus. This restaurant brought to my attention from reputation & recommendation. No Valet service no parking use uber or taxi. Welcoming was very dry you can tell guy was tired and was not exciting to see us. Ambience decor like old ‘90 Applebees they need renovation so bad. Food is out this world impeccable 10 out of 10 chefs cheers. Server he forgot for I moment that he at work no he wasn’t rude or mean. He was effervescent. He was sassy. Took our order so late from appetizers to main dish wish waited .I understand that industry I left him tip but not happy with his attitude

We visited Short north two weeks ago and tried out a couple of nice spots. This came across our radar on Yelp and decided to try it out. Starting with the good; the service was perfect and attentive. Our server helped out plenty and got refills quickly when needed. I always like to recognize an exceptional server. I forgot their name, but definitely is an asset to the team. As for the atmosphere, it’s a very nice interior and I appreciate the attention to detail in the color choices and overall ambiance. Our table was sitting rather close to the table behind us. I felt like I was sitting on the guys lap. It did make for some good conversation eavesdropping LOL. But again it’s very well done inside. We also got a dessert for a birthday that was phenomenal. It was a Mississippi mud pie if I remember correctly. Very rich and decadent. For the neutrals: the bread was okay and the fried pickles were good with their very herbaceous ranch. They fry bread and butter chips and dill spears in their pickle basket which I found interesting. The fish and chips were well seasoned and had a rich tar tar sauce which I personally loved. As for the negatives: I got the scallops after craving them for a couple weeks. I was very excited to see them on the menu. I didn’t read the description good enough; which I take the blame for, but they were terrible. It’s five seared scallops served with unseasoned blanched vegetables that have absolutely no synergy on the plate. Theres random green beans and edamame and a canned looking tomato mush on top of a bed of lemon dressed lettuce. It was such a strange iteration of scallops. Not only was it a confusing plate that lacked congruency, but it also made me sick. The scallops had a slight fishiness to them, which I figured was amplified due to the freezing process that probably took place on the way to the land locked city of Columbus. Turns out they either weren’t finished cooking or had some other bacteria because I spent too much time the next couple days taking g care of myself( I’ll spare those details). All in all, I would give it a try and ask for guidance from the servers for what to order. We probably didn’t pick the best options in the menu, but if they’re that bad they should even be on it.

We had a fantastic experience at The Pearl in Columbus’ Short North! The oysters were absolutely delicious, but what really stood out was the incredible service. We came in with a large group, and our server, Gary, was amazing—attentive, patient, and so accommodating. He handled everything seamlessly and went above and beyond, especially with our teenage daughters who didn’t love the short rib. He graciously helped them switch to the NY strip, which they enjoyed so much more. Truly top-tier service that made the whole evening even more memorable. The espresso martinis were some of the best we’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

The Refectory Restaurant offers an upscale dining experience with a focus on classic French cuisine and an extensive wine selection. Housed in a former church, the restaurant boasts soaring ceilings and stained-glass windows, creating a unique and elegant atmosphere. With over 40 years of history, it has received numerous awards for its exceptional food and service, making it one of the best places to dine in Columbus.
Dinner at this restaurant was a fantastic experience. From the start, our waitress, Michelle, was awesome. She was extremely professional yet down to earth, easy to talk to, and always made sure we were taken care of all the way down to even replacing my girlfriends wine glass without prompt because “it wasn’t polished to her liking”. The food was fantastic, presented beautifully, cooked perfectly, and seasoned in a way in which it’s impossible to imagine it being prepared any better. The wine pairing was fantastic, the gentleman that brought out the wines gave brief yet informative descriptions of each wine before pouring. We ended up buying 2 bottles to take home with us. The experience overall was the best we’ve ever had at any restaurant. Private, intimate, romantic, upscale and overall relaxing and enjoyable. We will be back soon.

I came here to celebrate my birthday, and The Refectory did not disappoint. Every plate was beautifully presented and full of flavor—elegant without being fussy. Started off with street corn rubs (a corn on the cob sliced into quarters). I had the spaghetti and meatballs (4/5 stars). It was a bit too basil/tomato tasting for the sauce, but overall not bad. My other half ate the steak medallions. The server was AMAZING and the facility was very clean.

Nice restaurant. Big and clean with a welcoming feel. Seatings a little tight. Service is slower than I had expected, waited at least one hour for food. Food was a hit and mix. My spaghetti was okay. Good but just not my style, soggier and garlicky. Everything appeared to be good.

Food was great. Place was crowded so food service was slow but was fresh and delicious. Ambience was great but we had senior citizens in our group and they felt the music was a bit too loud. Yuzu lemonade was great. Food wise we ordered spicy rigatoni in vodka sauce, beetroot salad, katsu bowl and cauliflower bowl for lunch. Everything tasted great.

The service we received from Abena was truly outstanding. Throughout our visit, she was incredibly helpful, offering thoughtful recommendations and answering all of our questions with professionalism and care. She consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. I genuinely cannot recall another time when I’ve received such high-quality service anywhere. Her dedication and attentiveness made a lasting impression.

We always enjoy a visit to the Cheesecake Factory. Great menu and food is always on point. The one restaurant you MUST get dessert. This location is one of the original restaurants at Easton and still looks great. Only 2 small negative issues...we waited 35-40 minutes for our food which is not the norm and the paid parking at Easton is a bummer. Nothing too crazy but definitely worth mentioning.

🗣️ Let Jess Tell It ⭐ 4/5 Stars – The Cheesecake Factory | Easton Town Center, Columbus, OH 📅 Last visit: Recent weekday dinner 🔹 Price per person: $25–$40 (depending on meal, drinks, and dessert) 🔹 Wait time: Usually 15–30 minutes during dinner hours — reservations recommended but not always necessary 🔹 Noise level: Loud during peak times (family-friendly, high-energy vibe) 🔹 Seating: Indoor and patio seating available; booths and tables 🔹 Vegetarian options: Yes — clearly labeled 🔹 Dietary restrictions: Menu includes gluten-free options and customizations 🔹 Parking: Free garage and surface lot nearby (Easton Town Center) 🔹 Kid-friendly: Yes — high chairs available, kids’ menu offered 🔹 Wheelchair accessible: Yes ⸻ Let’s be real: If you’ve ever needed a training montage just to get through a menu, this is the place. The Cheesecake Factory’s menu is a literal book — but here’s your cheat sheet to avoid decision fatigue: 🍽️ Cajun Salmon ➡️ How I order it: Medium, double seasoned, with extra sauce. Juicy inside, blackened just right, and served with mashed potatoes and buttery corn. Well-balanced and filling. 💰 ~$19.95 lunch / ~$28.95 dinner 🍝 Louisiana Chicken Pasta Creamy, bold, and better with added seasoning. It’s advertised as spicy but leans more peppery than hot. 💰 ~$18.50–$25.50 depending on time ✨ Tip: You can add grilled shrimp, steak, or salmon for an extra $8–$9 — worth it if you want to upgrade. 🥤 Cucumber Lemonade Refreshing and lightly sweet, with mint floating in the glass. It’s the standout among their flavored lemonades (they also offer peach, strawberry, and regular). Bonus: Free refills. 🍰 Caramel Cheesecake Still my default. Creamy, rich, and smooth — even better with extra whipped cream. It’s hard to go wrong here, but this one’s my go-to. — 💡 Helpful Tips for First-Timers: ✅ Lunch portions = same food for less money ✅ Customize your plate — extra sauce, spice, or protein can take a decent dish to great ✅ Don’t overcomplicate it — simple menu items often land better than the super-stacked ones ✅ Ask for Lily (aka Ms. Flowers) if you want standout service — warm, attentive, and genuinely kind — 👥 Who This Is Best For: • Groups with different tastes • Diners who like big portions and shareable apps • People who don’t mind a lively, sometimes loud atmosphere — 📌 Bottom Line: Come hungry, be ready to read, and know that once you find your go-to items, this place delivers consistency and comfort food with flair. 📝 Got your own Cheesecake Factory must-haves? Drop them — I’m always curious what other people keep in rotation. #LetJessTellIt #CheesecakeFactoryEaston #ColumbusEats #ForkAround #614Foodies #EastonTownCenterEats #CheesecakeCheatSheet

The restaurant prides itself on outstanding table service and a personalized dining experience.
Took the wife out on a date to finally try this place. It didn't disappoint....so many things on the menu I wanted to try. Steak was cooked perfect and had great flavor. The calamari was good and the sauces they provided were a good opposite to enjoy sweet and spicy. Brussel sprouts were good but not great. The wife said the salad was the best she's had. Got the peanut butter pie for desert which was rich and creamy. Look forward to coming back and giving it a try.

Came to this decent steakhouse for lunch. The dining room was splendid like a palace. There was mouthwash in the restroom. Service was good and WiFi was fast, but they forgot to serve me the free roll. The lunch combo was great with few decent entrees. I preferred the steak to the salmon. The crab bisque was authentic but its size was small. My medium steak was grilled well but the Diane sauce was not my taste with mushrooms. The mashed potatoes tasted terrible with too much butter.

This was the most incredible service I’ve had at a restaurant. Our server Sarah was exceptional! I got the $29 lunch special. All of my food was top notch, every bite was savory and it was perfectly complimented with the carrot cake (which they went the extra mile on!). They took our dirty plates and silverware away with each new plate setting and gave us clean silverware. The chairs are so comfortable we didn’t even realize we’d been there 2hrs. She even whipped out a “crumb scraper” from her apron to clean off the table. The interior decor and atmosphere was beautiful! Staff were amazing, kind, and accommodating. The bathroom was impeccably clean.

Eddie Merlot’s is hands-down our favorite place to celebrate birthdays and special occasions! The ambiance, the service, the food—everything is consistently top-notch. We’ve tried just about everything on the menu over the years, and it never disappoints. Whether it’s a perfectly cooked steak, fresh seafood, or one of their decadent desserts, every bite is a win. It’s become our tradition, and honestly, no other place compares when it comes to making a night feel truly special. Highly recommend for anyone looking to treat themselves or their loved ones!

Wow!! I can't say enough about my first experience at Eddie Merlots. We dined here at lunch time for my parents anniversary. The $29 price fix menu was a decent size portion for the price. The 8oz sirloin was amazing, as well was the creamed spinach. The caesar salad was tasty. The fresh hot bread was too die for. The were very accommodating with a piece of carrot cake for my parents. The server Hanah did a fantastic job. Not used to dinning places that bring new silverware and use a crumb scapper for the tables. We will definitely be coming back here to dine again. Very pleased with the service, price, quality and amount of food.

Came in for dinner last night at Eddie Merlot’s and had a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. Eddie Merlot exceeded my expectations. As a culinary chef, I have almost given up on going out to eat, it’s always expensive and almost always disappointing. Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurant
Brassica, located in the Short North and other central Ohio locations, is a bright cafe offering locavore pita sandwiches and Mediterranean cuisine. The contemporary interior and beer on tap create a welcoming atmosphere. The menu features hand-cut fries seasoned with smoky paprika and lemony sumac, along with a build-your-own line for customizing roasted, pickled, or spiced ingredients.
The food is absolutely delicious. The service was really quick with large portion sizes. The Pita is the real deal and very authentic. The best thing I thought was the price, very reasonable. I'll definitely be here again soon.

I still think about eating at this restaurant everyday. It’s the kind of place you walk into where you get so overwhelmed because everything looks incredible. We got the hummus and baba ghanoush bowl with meat and toppings and it’s just so freaking good. They also give you their own organic roasted fire cooked pita and it’s just next level. If you are stopping in Columbus and you don’t visit this restaurant, you are missing out! Short north in general is just a great place to go

What would it take to get this in California? I think I referred at least ten new diners here during the week we spent in Columbus, and they all loved it too! Hearty, healthy meals at an accessible price point, delicious as all get out, and almost entirely gluten free! Many of the diners I referred are gluten-free and they all enjoyed their options here. I dined here twice and got the sandwich and the salad, and both were absolutely incredible. The brisket? Melt in your mouth. We even shared lots of our meal with our nine month old baby (baby led weaning), and he also approved wholeheartedly! The service was friendly and professional, and the space was clean and had a lovely atmosphere. The local friend who recommended it to me told me not to miss the tahini chocolate chip cookie, and she was SO right. Moral of the story is, I need this in the SF Bay Area, stat!

My first time eating here. I love the fast casual ordering process. Although I don’t know the name of the ingredients, I just need to point and order. The humus plate and salad plate are delicious. I love their special sauce, red pepper sauce and all vegetables. Will come back to eat again.

The food is really amazing here. It’s a fancy fast food restaurant, the food is really really good though! We ordered the salad and hummus bowls, and the pink mint lemonade to drink. Really convenient and delicious! I love fully customizable menus, and it was a big bonus that their features are really vegetarian friendly. I got the salad, which was extremely filling. came in for happy hour and some light snacks for dinner. unfortunately most of the food seemed oily, very little flavor, and felt as if it just came from the freezer and straight into the deep fryer. unfortunately, not the vibe or food quality we had hoped for as we were staying nearby in a higher-end hotel and thought the surrounding stores would match. their website described themselves as upscale, but the product did not match the description.

Service was extremely slow. SCALLOPED SCALLOPS was TO DIE FOR!! so yummy! As are the the fried biscuits! Heavenly! The soup was a tasty broth. The Zucchini Tofu had great flavors i just wish the sauce wasn’t so runny. Edit: Wanted to savor the scallops that I remembered so fondly and frankly was disappointed with what I was served. Did not match the taste or presentation of my last visit. The mango sticky rice was also underwhelming. The mango they served me was not ripe and still had the peel on parts of it. Better off making the drive out to town to Jasmines for better thai food.

Food served quickly, but little flavor, no spice. Used to be a great Thai restaurant. Mango and sticky rice was adequate, needed more coconut milk/cream, mango was barely ripe. My daughter liked the Wasabi on the Sushi.

Came for dinner with two friends.  We sat at the bar and we're served by Lucas who was great. Drinks: two of us had hot toddy's because flu- season doesn't want us to be great Lol but they were delicious. Friend #3 had a sparkling margarita,  4.5/5. Dinner • I had Rangoon - 4/5 great flavor,  texture a little off. Unlike "traditional" Rangoon it was less cream cheese and more shrimp which I appreciated. But it could have benefitted from a little bit of creaminess. Also had the lemongrass soup with chicken, comes with fried biscuit.  Really goodd, small portion (cup) and needs seasoning, chicken was bland.  4/5 • Pho w/ chicken and shrimp wontons 4/5. • Combo fried rice- 5/5 her regular order. Never misses, large portion. Overall good music and vibes.  I'd gladly return to try happy hour specials.

What happened to this place? I have been coming here for almost a decade. The food has always been incredible; fresh, and the portions decent. It's always been a little pricey, but the quality has always been proportionate and fantastic. I ate here today and I could have had better sushi from the gas station. The rolls were like doll food, so incredibly small. Nothing was fresh. The vegetables were soggy and the rice was unseasoned. Everything was just wet, minuscule, and expensive. Really depressing and a massive waste of money. Won't be going back. It's a pity, used to be one of the best places to eat in the Short North.
Sophia F — Google review
After a long day of fasting, all I wanted was some hot soupy spicy ramen &sweet mango sticky rice and Lemongrass fail me. I got the korean kimchi noodles, no kimchi at all and no broth. Just dry noodles on top of carrots and bean sprouts, no spice what so ever. The mango wasn’t even ripe, just bit into the most bitter mango. I liked lemongrass but they carry out sucks, this the second time. The first time I let it slide, but this one I called and the gave me a refund thankfully.

We ordered for delivery via DoorDash. Delivery was great but we were missing our shrimp and vegetable Tempura. We called the restaurant and spoke to manager Jewel V who said that the vegetable tempura was sitting in front of him. He said that we could come get it and there was nothing he could offer. Unfortunately we are unable to leave our place of work to care for patients. It would have been nice to have the order refunded since the item was missed by staff at Lemongrass.

Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse is an upscale dining destination known for its exceptional service and high-quality food. With a national reputation and recognition from various prestigious sources, including the Food Network, OpenTable, Wine Spectator, USA Today, and Travel + Leisure, this steakhouse is celebrated for its attention to detail and commitment to providing an outstanding dining experience.
We had dinner here the evening before the first football game of the season, and it couldn't have been a better experience. The atmosphere was awesome - vibrant, upscale, and buzzing with energy - while the staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. We kicked things off with some great appetizers and drinks that set the tone for the night. The food? Absolutely a m a z i n g - truly top shelf. Every bite was perfection. And then came the spectacular desserts... we literally ate a shoe - and it was one of the best things we've ever had. If you're in Columbus and want an unforgettable dining experience, Jeff Ruby's delivers. Highly recommended for any occasion, whether it's a celebration, a game day kickoff, or just a night out to treat yourself.

Our first time at Jeff Ruby's, it was a delicious and elevated experience. Definitely one of the best quality steaks of my life. I ordered the steak Burrow which was blackened and they still managed to nail a perfect medium rare. The steaks were flavorful and tender. Sauces and sides were yummy and the service here is of the highest level, yet not overly stuffy. We enjoyed a cozy early Birthday dinner and we'll be back to celebrate other special occasions and explore the seafood options.

Well, we flew out to Ohio for a business meeting this past Monday Oct 6. We were guests, and walking into this place, it just was different. First, I felt underdressed jeans, t-shirt, all good though but we were there to try and feast. The food, service was incredible. Our waiter was incredible, on top of his game, awesome sense or humor, and super confident on anything he was going to bring us, a notable difference. We have had some great service before, from dedicated waitstaff, but this one left a mark, a good one. To our local friends here who brought us out, thank you. What an impressive, location that combines great food, service and atmosphere that is very unique and I mean that in a great, good sense, wow. For me, it’s abit pricey for some items like our Wagyu A5 Sirloin which we tried, they offer some of the rarest steaks. I have to tell you, it was soo good, 1st time in my life I’ve tried this and it was a treat, incredibly delicious and again 100% a treat. Thank you again to the staff there and our new friends. Cheers.

Jeff Ruby is one of the best steakhouses in the country. Every visit is uniformly great. Beautiful space, food is always top notch, our server tonight, Jordan was the best. We started with the complimentary bread with butter and an incredible truffle butter. Next, our party of four shared appetizers of crab cakes, oyster Rockefeller, and an A5 ribeye. All perfectly prepared. My son and I shared the 70 days aged Cowboy steak for our entrees and apple sorbet and the best crème brûlée in town. We highly recommend Jeff Ruby!

What an establishment! The ambiance of this place is equally as important as any dish or drink you'll enjoy. It simply exudes elegance on every level. At a place like this, every aspect needs to hit and the server added to the incredible experience. We put in all our food choices and it was brought out with perfect cadence as the dinner progressed. Perfection. Every dish was delicious. We started with the Bluefin Tuna Flight and crabcake. It was impeccable. Premier sashimi that justified the price. Even the bread and truffle butter were unbelievable. We then moved to steaks and lobster which were cooked perfectly. My only complaint is that that Bernaise sauce on top had started to congeal. For any special occasion, you cannot top Jeff Ruby's. It's the most elegant dinner I've had in Columbus and is worth all the accolades they have received over the years!

Everything from start to finish was fantastic! The atmosphere was great, there was a live pianist playing, the drinks were good, the food was top notch, and the service was exceptional. My father, who occasionally comes in to visit me from out of town, and I enjoy trying different fine dining restaurants together and we usually spend the whole evening at the places we go which sometimes clearly frustrates the staff. Our server, Patrick C., was attentive, kind, and helpful throughout our evening and we never felt rushed or like he was annoyed by us. His coworkers were great also. 10 out of 5 stars all around! Except..... Maybe putting a bathroom on the main floor instead of in the basement!

If you're looking for really awesome food and the Royal treatment, this place is for you! The pork belly is a must try! We had ribeyes and mashed potatoes. Both were awesome! Our desserts were delicious! I got the blueberry pie and ate the entire thing. I highly recommend if you can afford it visiting Jeff Ruby's! It's so worth it!

We were just looking to unwind with some good wine and this was beside the hotel. Oh my. What a delight to walk into, especially not knowing about this place. We sat at the bar and enjoyed it so much. The wine list was quite impressive. We decided to get a nosh of the mussels with some extra bread. I think this place may not know how to not go over the top. That mushroom truffle butter! 😍 And then we had such a fantastic time with the staff. They were delightful. Olivia and the J’s. La Chatelaine French Bakery and Bistro offers a relaxed setting to enjoy authentic French cuisine and handcrafted baked goods. The menu features a variety of savory and sweet options, including favorites like apricot bow croissants, coconut macaroons, cherry pinwheel croissants, and traditional French beignets.
Stepping into this charming restaurant is like a mini-vacation to France! From the French-speaking staff to the atmosphere, this place is the real deal. As someone who's traveled to France, I can confidently say it captures the authentic feel. The display of desserts upon entry is a feast for the eyes – I did get a beignet, which was delicious. Then I remembered that I had to do this review. The rest of my meal – creamy lobster bisque, fresh mixed fruit, and perfectly executed French toast – was equally impressive. The unlimited French coffee was a delightful bonus. The French-themed decor and clean facilities complete the experience. Perfect for a gathering of up to four, this is a must-visit for a genuine taste of France in Ohio.

Had a nice brunch here with my younger daughter. She's a picky eater but enjoyed most of what we selected. She gives the bacon a double thumbs up. She also gave the breakfast potatoes a thumbs up, which is nice because she's not a fan of potatoes. Food was great overall. No complaints. Layout/ambiance was pleasant. Enough seating to have space without being too isolated. Service was pretty good too. Will visit again.

We really enjoyed this experience with our 9-year old daughter. She said it was like walking through a door and entering a bistro in France! The staff were absolutely wonderful and definitely added to the experience. We went two days in a row since we were in town for the weekend. I highly recommend the lobster bisque if it is available. My family loved everything they tried. We took a lot home too because the bread was amazing. I am gluten sensitive (to wheat in US products) but I could eat here with no problem!

We recently visited La Chatelaine French Bakery for the first time, and while the food did not disappoint, the overall experience was a bit mixed. The pastries and food were absolutely delicious—fresh, beautifully made, and with plenty of tempting options to choose from. If you're looking for authentic French baked goods, this place definitely delivers on flavor and variety. However, our visit was slightly dampened by the lack of a welcoming atmosphere at the counter. As first-timers, we weren’t quite sure where to order or how things worked. When we asked for help, we felt dismissed rather quickly, as if the cashier was in a rush—even though it wasn’tparticularly busy at the time. A little warmth and guidance would have made a big difference in our experience. That said, we’d still consider coming back for the food alone and hope for a more inviting interaction next time. A beautiful spot with great potential if the service matched the quality of their pastries.

It was a great location, the service was good but the structure was cafeteria set up. I was disappointed with the food as the cost to quantity was out of balance. A single slice of meat is ridiculous for the quantity of bread. The cappuccino was good but not excellent.

La Cha is a great French chain restaurant and bakery. The dining room is decorated well like a warm and cozy French home. The bar room is also beautiful. There are a variety of pastries, salads, soups, sandwiches, and French entrees. A few seasonal items are available. Everything tastes decent with a reasonable price. Their wood-oven baked bread is perfectly soft. The lunch combo is great coming with signature salad, a sandwich, and a cup of soup. Service is always nice and WiFi is available. It opens early. Definitely a wonderful place for a good morning.

Originally known as Oval Brewing and funded through a Kickstarter campaign, the brewery was rebranded as Land-Grant in 2014 and is now situated in historic Franklinton. At the Six One Pour event, they will be showcasing their limited-release Mr.
I know this is one of the most popular breweries in Columbus but it’s worth every bit of the hype. They have beers to suit all tastes I prefer the Columbus crew themed one. Ray Rays and Mikey’s late night slice have food trucks there. Many great events are held there and it’s in a great location for some major Columbus events. Cant recommend enough!

Love coming here to watch the Crew games with my Crew-loving bestfriends. The drinks are great, much vaster than just beer. I especially enjoy their own boozed up lemonade option they offer. Outdoor seating is super cute, and the food truck choices are always great (though busy).

I recently had the pleasure of playing in a pickleball league at Land-Grant Brewing, and I can't recommend it enough. It's a truly fantastic experience that combines the fun of competition with a relaxed, social atmosphere. The league is incredibly well-run, and the staff is a huge part of what makes it so special. They are organized, friendly, and always go the extra mile to make sure everyone is having a good time. It's clear they genuinely care about the players and the league itself. But what truly sets this league apart is the incredible sense of community. We started out as strangers, but after just a few weeks of playing together, we've formed some amazing friendships. The camaraderie is real, and the cheers and laughs from the sidelines are just as much a part of the experience as the games themselves. Whether you're a seasoned player or a complete beginner, you'll have a blast. It’s a great way to stay active, meet new people, and enjoy some fantastic beer afterward. If you're looking for a fun, social, and well-organized pickleball league, look no further than Land-Grant.

Great spot with tasty beer and some good food trucks. The beer garden soaked is also great. I did want to bring to someone attention about a tree. Its in the corner of the beer garden. Its a Tree Of Heaven. Whilst having my beer I squashed multiple Spotted Lantern Flies which are a very invasive insect. This tree is their home base and has multitudes flying around. Would love to see these pests taken care of.

I have heard a lot about Land-Grant & finally went the other day during the Arts Festival! It was really nice to be able to walk there for adult beverages at normal prices LOL. The bartenders we had were both professional & great at/with recommendations. I had the Spiked Lemonade with vodka & the margarita, my partner had the Jeni's strawberry 🍓 rhubarb & the Tangerine 🍊 cider! We tried them all & everything was great 😃👍🏻 The large outdoor courtyard was great, plenty of seating and shade, activities etc. We biked downtown so not sure about parking, but street parking is of course nearby.

Decent brews, friendly staff, clean facilities. Their ciders were top tier and I really liked their chistmas seasonal. They do fill growlers and I got a tangerine cider. I highly recommend this cider - it's extremely fruity and effervescent. Staff very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu. atmosphere right now (11/23) is 80s christmas gaudy - which I love - and energetic. No kitchen. A food truck outside I didnt try but it's there. I recommend. I hope they expand to include some seasonal sours and ciders for the cold months.

The atmosphere is awesome! Everyone is friendly and the staff is great! The beers aren’t my favorite however the cocktails are really good! I had the Peach Palmer and I highly recommend that!!! The Rudy grapefruit IPA is really good and I’m topically not an IPA fan! The patio is next level and they go have live music and events all the time! I highly recommend this place! Especially for a Saturday or Sunday Funday!

The Service Bar is a trendy and spacious distillery, bar, and kitchen located at Middle West Spirits in Columbus. The establishment offers a modern American dining experience with a focus on contemporary cuisine and house spirits. Executive Chef Avishar Barua presents inventive dishes that blend Midwestern and Middle Eastern flavors, such as the Koji Half Rohan Duck and Short Rib with Huajian Bao.
I hesitate to leave a review here as I’d much prefer to keep Service Bar off the radar for my own benefit. Service and ambiance were both fantastic. The food was surprisingly good compared to other restaurants attached to distilleries or breweries. I am not exactly a cocktail aficionado, but I would not consider myself an amateur whiskey drinker. The cocktails here are unbelievable. We ordered two of the more interesting concoctions on the menus, expecting them to be akin to what you put on pancakes. They were anything but. Spirit focused, thoughtfully crafted, and addicting. Don’t pass on Service Bar. Scratch that. Don’t go. You won’t like it. Best to stay away. 🤫

Nice place, and nice service. Service was on the slow side but only because of limited staffing. $41 fish plate was tastey but extremely small, so were drinks. Honestly I spent over a hundred bucks with a tip but left very hungry. The fish was served on a comically large plate that enhances the small portion, but the flavor profile of the fish was very good - I like the tanginess of the sauce and it had a lot of seasoning. Filet was cooked well, and although the dish was on the oiley side it was very tastey. It came with pickled onions which were good. Probably wouldn't buy again though at 41 bucks. The pizza was much better value at 15 bucks for the food. Yes it was still small, but the quality of crust waa good and fellow diner recommended. For the price, I'd say it was alright.

We were looking for a special dinner that would accommodate our group. First of all, the drinks were phenomenal and innovative. Kudos to the chef for curating a vegan dish that was truly unique and incredibly delicious. Also, the service was above and beyond! David, Cassidy and Grace were all super accommodating and kind. Everyone in Columbus - this place is so worth the visit! Don’t miss out 💕 P.S. - the Oaxacan 75 is one of the most well-rounded cocktails I’ve ever had! Couldn’t recommend it more!

Creative and delicious menu! Had the pork chop, the salmon, the hanger steak and stuffed quail for our meals. Appetizers were the fries and confit wings. Drinks were amazing too!
Cayla G — Google review
Lots to say about this dining experience, overall it was good. The good: -The atmosphere was nice, good lighting and okay space between the tables. Nice decor and accents. -Our drinks were very good and the perfect strength, well balanced, nice aesthetic. -The whipped cream on creme brulee was perfectly sweetened. -The Caesar salad dressing is some of the best I've ever had and the cheese is so fresh. The bad: -The marrow appetizer was overpriced for what it was, we (maybe) got 1.5 tablespoons out of both bones combined. They were prepared well and the sourdough was very good and charred perfectly. -We asked to share a Caesar salad, the kitchen did not plate it onto 2 plates. We were given the dish and had to wait for plates. -Not bad, but surprised to receive regular heinz ketchup with the duck fat fries, anticipated something housemade. -Shocked to hear our server did not know what an Irish coffee was, and never gave us an answer if we could order one or not. -My pappardelle pasta was so salty I almost sent it back, the size and texture of the noodles was great. -My spouse's mussels seemed over cooked but everything else was fine he said. What should be fixed: -The front of house is undeniably understaffed, we saw 2 servers the entire time we were there on a Friday night. The bartender and 2 other support staff were there helping to run food and clear our table. -Retraining the FOH staff is a must...examples missing from our service include; replacing silver ware when you take dirty ones from the table (we went without a few utensils), boxing up food away from the table should be standard practice for a restaurant of this caliber, checking in on the meal at least twice (we were only checked on once we were done eating). All-in-all I will go back, but it seems like a 50-50 experience, some stuff is good and some stuff is bad and it's a mix of the food and service. For $141 before tip, it's overpriced for what it is right now. Small, consistent improvements will make this place worth it.

I had a fantastic dinner with my wife tonight at Service Bar, in celebration of our eighth wedding anniversary. Our server, Andy, was excellent and proved invaluable in helping us decide, since there were several vegan options available on the menu. Our cocktails and appetizers came out very fast, and were incredible - the wonton and brassica dishes both featured beautiful plating and intense flavors, complimenting the 'Blood Sugar Magic' and 'Rosé Petal' beverages selected for our first round. For main courses we chose the Black Pepper Seitan and Panang Curry, which again arrived at the perfect moment and continued the meal without making us feel rushed. A second round of cocktails followed, with a 'Courtlandia' for me, and my wife selecting 'Rosemary's Daisy'. Dessert arrived again at seemingly the precise time it was meant to; a vegan 'Buckeye' that mystified our senses with its chocolate-peanut-maple flavors and textures leaving us dazzled. 10/10, would dine at Service Bar again. Slightly pricey if you take a tour of the entire menu like we did, but absolutely worth the experience!
Tim B — Google review
We had an excellent meal and drinks at the beautiful bar. The pork cheek gnocchi is insanely good. It was one of the best bites of food I've had in recent memory. There was a perfect amount of heat as well as beautiful warming spices, and the cheek was so tender it fell apart when you touch it with the fork. The Rachel was also very good, and the kimchi played well with the other big flavors on the sandwich, while leaving a lingering heat that was very pleasant against the very savory smoked meat. While the communal seating may not be ideal for some, I think it is nice to be able to see and share the dining experience with those around you, and discuss the very inventive food and beverage. This place is definitely worth the price, and we will be back for more.
Jeremy D — Google review
This was a gem I randomly came across and we went on a whim and absolutely loved it! The wings were hands down some of the best wings I’ve had in the entire city. Top notch! I’ll be returning just for this. The porkchop was to delicious but the carbonara fell flat for us a little bit. The noodles were more of a matted ball than anything so we were cutting into it like it was a piece of meat, but the flavor was tasty! Just a texture thing. The cocktails were all fabulous. We’ll likely come back for snacks and drinks for sure. Keep it up, service bar! We loved you!

If you're on the hunt for a laid-back breakfast or brunch experience in Columbus, look no further than HangOverEasy. With two convenient locations—one near Ohio State University and another in Olde Towne East—this spot is perfect for indulging in hearty comfort food. Their standout dish, Chicken & Waffles, features fluffy buttermilk waffles topped with perfectly seasoned chicken tenders, creating a delightful mix of flavors that will leave you craving more. But that's just the beginning!
We waited a half hour, but it was Saturday prime time and there was 4 of us. Staff was all friendly and kind. Kind of loud at times with small area, so had to remind server we ordered coca cola and not coffee. Chicken and waffles such unique delicious flavors. Their chicken is absolutely delicious. Breakfast platters so flavorful and filling. Shakes also tasty.

Chicken and waffles caught my eye and my stomach. The fried chicken was delicious. The waffle was good but had a weirdly strong chive taste from the butter. The pancakes were delicious. Super buttermilk flavor. The hash were undercooked but would have been delicious if cooked longer. The service was amazing, timely and attentive. The food was super affordable and worth it.

I was seated at the bar and had excellent service. I ordered the Cinnamon Roll French Toast which was topped with blueberries. The whipped cream and buttercream toppings were as tasty as you'd expect, but I preferred the dish with only blueberries. My side of bacon was also excellent, and the coffee was good. I'll definitely be back!

This place was absolutely amazing for my first time going. It was extremely busy but we ended up just sitting at the bar and I'm so glad we did. Our server/bartender was absolutely amazing. I didn't catch his name to give him credit but to the hilarious guy who gave me a blue monkey before I left, you rock! The food was delicious, service time to receive the food wasn't long at all for as busy as this place was, and all the service people were extremely kind and friendly. I can't wait to go back again!

I got the Greek omelet and it was delicious. The place is so retro with all the decorations and the staff is very friendly. Two staff members in particular are friendly I unfortunately don't know their names but one was a gentleman with glasses and in his 20s and the other young lady said she had just started there with brown hair. I believe her name is Mel or Mal it was busy and loud in the restaurant at the time and I couldn't hear her name. Both were great though!

I visited Hangover Easy on Parsons for lunch today, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The food felt overpriced for the quality. I ordered two Reuben sandwiches, which were very dry, with meat that looked old, almost as if it had been sitting from the day before. The portion size was also surprisingly small given the cost. On top of that, I was charged a $1.00 carryout fee. When I asked the server about it, he wasn’t sure and guessed it was for the containers. To make matters worse, I didn’t receive my 3 cents change, even after asking for it. Overall, between the quality of the food, the unexpected fees, and the poor service, I don’t feel like I got the value I paid for.

Hotel
Nestled in the vibrant Short North district, Le Méridien Columbus, The Joseph is a boutique hotel offering 135 contemporary rooms and suites. The property seamlessly blends upscale amenities with a modern art gallery featuring 500 pieces from the private collection of owners Ron and Ann Pizzuti. The rooms boast subdued grey tones, Ohio Portfolio prints, and luxurious spa suites. Guests can indulge in farm-to-table cuisine at The Guild House before exploring the nearby galleries, shops, and restaurants.
I had a wonderful stay at Le Méridien Joseph, Ohio during May 2025. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout my visit. I’d like to especially recognize Victoria and Ian for their outstanding professionalism, support, and kindness — they truly made a difference in my stay. The rest of the team was equally cooperative and courteous, contributing to a very pleasant experience overall. I genuinely enjoyed my time at the hotel and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and well-managed place to stay.

Really nice hotel with excellent staff, an amazing location, and a great restaurant. So why not five stars? The coffee in the lobby bar was honestly the worst I’ve ever had—and that’s saying something. Paying $6 for an espresso that bad should be a crime; I couldn’t even finish it. Everything else, though, was fantastic. The staff were genuinely friendly, and the housekeeper might have been the best I’ve ever had at any hotel. The property is in a great neighborhood with lots of restaurants nearby, and the on-site restaurant is actually worth a visit too. My only other gripe is with valet parking—$50 a night feels excessive for Columbus, and I had to wait over 20 minutes each time I needed my car. For my fellow coffee lovers, do yourself a favor and walk a block to Park Service Coffee. I’d love for management to do a side-by-side espresso tasting—they might not even be able to finish their own.
Kevin C — Google review
My first time staying at Le Meridien Columbus after many visits to the city, and I absolutely loved it. The vibe feels more like a W Hotel — energetic and stylish — but the rooms are actually much larger and better appointed, with a clean, modern design. The bar downstairs has a great atmosphere, and the neighborhood has way more to do than the typical downtown area, while still being just minutes away. I’ll definitely be staying here again on future trips!

We booked a suite for one night for our anniversary. We arrived at 830 pm and were told they had to see if our room was ready. Check-in is at 3, so I was disappointed it wasn't ready when we got there much later. The faucet to the bath did not give off hot water, and when draining the bath it caused backflow into the shower drain that smelled like rotten eggs. The soap in the shower didn't dispense until my husband fixed it. Overall the room was nice and the record player was a fun feature. I was just disappointed about all of the above things, as we paid $434 for one night, and expected a perfect experience.

We come to Columbus a lot and this has been my fave hotel to stay in! We had a corner room with a great view, the bathroom was stellar, huge room with a living area, bed, two t.v.s and a record player with bar cart🤌🏻
Kelli S — Google review
I booked a standard suite for our 10-year wedding anniversary, hoping for a comfortable and romantic stay. Instead, we were placed in a handicap-accessible room with a bathroom that looked and felt like a men’s locker room. Nothing in my booking mentioned ADA or handicap accommodations, and it definitely wasn’t what we expected for a milestone celebration. When I brought it up to the front desk, they agreed we were given the wrong room, but said there was nothing else available. The only compensation offered was a credit for one night of parking, which did very little to make up for the experience. Had I known we’d be assigned that room, I would have saved the money and booked a regular non-suite. This stay fell far short of what we hoped for on such a special occasion. Unfortunately, the lack of accuracy during booking and the minimal effort to make things right really spoiled what should have been a memorable anniversary trip. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again based on this experience.

The room was pretty and clean staff was amazing I just found it crazy that I was charged a $250 clean up fee for leaving my food organized on the table as I wasn’t provided any trash bags and also they charged me for using towels!!!! omg this is crazy they expected me to fold used towels and keep them orderly before check out .. ridiculous… also they claim I broke the refrigerator handle of my suite meanwhile the refrigerator handle was already broken before I opened it .. I explained all these to management and they claimed that I messed up the room …. I regret ever booking with this hotel don’t recommend

Horrible customer service! I am well traveled and a Marriott Bonvoy member for years… my wife and I showed up after a long 8 hour drive with our little dog… only to be told they saw our reservation but had no rooms because they overbooked the hotel!! No phone call warning or asking us, no attempt on their part to help us find lodging!! No manager there to talk with… not what I ever expected from a Marriott property!! I couldn’t believe they basically put us out on the street! Awful experience, I have never seen in all my years of travel!! They got one star cause that is as low as scale goes!

Callahan's Columbus is a two-floor sports bar and nightclub that features pizza and sandwiches as well as a dance floor and rooftop patio. Thursdays and Fridays are 'college night' and '90's ladies night', respectively, where the bar becomes more relaxed and party-like. The menu includes starters, salads, pizzas, sandwiches, and some of their specials. The majority of orders are for hummus plate, large pizza, turkey & Swiss sandwich.
The patio area was full of people and the lights here were amazing. The music was awesome and the view of Columbus downtown from here is also cool!

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I went there to go to a rave event which was fun honestly. The bartenders weren’t rude, but…THEY WILL ROB YOU. I paid $50 for like 2 mixed drinks and 4 beers. But then I see 6 additional charges on my card that added to over $100!!! Which is messed up especially since I tipped them 20%! I tried calling they’re number but it’s out of service. And going there just to talk to them is a pain since there’s no parking. Like I have to pay for parking to get my money back? That’s BS. This place is shady and they know what they’re doing. So evil and shameful

Please don't give your money to this bar owner. He personally engaged our small, local business to do work for him and his business. Our services were provided at the highest level. He has not paid two invoices that have been resent to him many times by email over the past year and he does not respond to voicemails.

Went here with a group of friends last night and we had a great time but it was because of the company we were with. The DJ was not very good. We were there for about two hrs and he played 5 maybe 7 good songs. I remember this because my friends and I couldn't believe it so we started to counting. The bartender didnt listen to the way we wanted our drinks mixed. When she handed us our drinks they tasted horrible. We ordered a double shot of casamigos with pineapple juice and a hint of lime. The bartender just poured the tequila, almost no pineapple juice and totally forgot the lime. Some would say it's a heavy pour but I've had my share of heavy poured drinks and this was not it. Not sure if I'm willing to go back. Proceed with caution. I will say they have a great mirror to take pictures at the top of the stairs

Spent $550 for a private table on New Year's Eve and was seated right in front of the men's bathroom that did not have a working door. Got to watch every man go to the bathroom all night. Additionally there was no hand soap in any of the bathrooms. Unsurprisingly, I got incredibly sick the next day. Would not recommend going here as they do not prioritize the safety and health of their customers.
