Fine dining restaurant
Lindey's is an elegant, old-school venue located in the charming German Village. The restaurant offers a sophisticated American surf 'n' turf menu and features a remarkable patio that exudes romance and tranquility. Nestled in historic surroundings, the patio provides an oasis-like ambiance with umbrella-ed tables, a soothing fountain, and attentive service. It's an ideal spot for both long-time couples and new romances to enjoy a special occasion or a quick getaway.
I'm SO happy we got to dine at Lindey's on this trip. Final night in Columbus, and this was the perfect ending. Super fun atmosphere that is equal parts classic and modern. Service, from hostess to server, to bussers, was as good as it gets. Our server, Lisa, was fabulous! Intuitive, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. The food was all perfect. Gorgeous and delicious, we enjoyed everything! Cocktails were great, and the wine list isn't extensive, but it's really good. Plenty of wines by the glass are offered. This was easily our favorite dining experience in Columbus. Cannot recommend more highly!

Easily my favorite place in Columbus since moving here in February. The vibe in here is so great & the people are even better! My boyfriend & I decided to celebrate our anniversary here after being recommended this place by multiple friends. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We made a reservation and while we wanted to check out the patio, the weather was not on our side but inside is still BEAUTIFUL! The food and drinks were unmatched. The atmosphere is chill & the perfect place to spend a date night. Our waitress Elena was INCREDIBLE! She was so sweet & attentive. Even brought us an anniversary toast on the house. We will absolutely be back. Try the Lindey’s Peach Bellini, Tropical Mule, Lindey’s Burger, and Shrimp Angel hair — You won’t regret it. Even the sourdough bread is to die for!!

Absolutely gorgeous outdoor seating with lush white flowers blooming! Ordered the lamb chop and have never tasted a more tender chop in my life! The chef most definitely is top tier and waiters professional and even gave me a candle on my dessert to celebrate my birthday dinner. Highly recommend!

This is my favorite restaurant in Columbus, and one of my favorite restaurants in general. I’ve had the pleasure of being able to come here ever since I was young. Located in the heart of German Village, this place encapsulates the gold standard of what every restaurant should be. The atmosphere, which in my opinion, is the most memorable part of the restaurant experience, is 10/10. The patio is absolutely beautiful with a multi layered coy pond, an upstairs terrace, and outdoor bar, and more. The inside is the same with beautiful upholstery, impeccable white table cloth service, and perfect lighting. The service is always 10/10 no matter who it is. Everyone knowledgeable, happy to assist, and all work as a team to provide the best experience to all guests. He food is always great, with semi-reasonable prices and always different specials. I don’t have anything bad to say about this place and hope it sticks around for the long run.

We had an incredible dinner with excellent service from Adison. Support staff was wonderful and organized, and the managers were prompt and kind. The patio was both elegant and welcoming, and the entire restaurant was packed on a Tuesday evening. Food was excellent, cannot say enough good things about the tuna tartare. We will return!
Braden P — Google review
This is one of my favorite places in Ohio. The ambiance is charming. The service is outstanding and the food is delicious. We usually start with a cocktail before moving on to the Carpaccio which I highly recommend. On this day we tried the arancini for the first time and thought it was tasty. For our entre we had steak and lamb chops and they do not disappoint. I go here once a year and I will try to continue this tradition. The staff is great. Madisson waited on us and she was excellent. 10/10.
Carla M — Google review
My friends and I stopped here for lunch on a trip to columbus. We sat in the patio outside and the ambiance was amazing. The food was delicious. I got the nut crusted chicken salad and friends got the shrimp salad, club sandwich, and lobster bisque. We all loved what we got and left extremely satisfied. I would definitely recommend you stop here!
Sarah B — Google review
Outstanding! We sat on the patio in the back.. I had the sea bass which was fantastic! The vegetables were cooked perfectly as was the fish. I also had the Keylime pie and cheesecake. I would come back here in a heartbeat! Our server was fantastic as well.

North Market Downtown is a covered farmers' market offering a wide array of products such as flowers, produce, and handicrafts. It's also a hub for global dining options with influences from various countries like Somalia, El Salvador, Mexico, Yemen, and Vietnam. The market features over 30 vendors including butchers, bakers, grocers, and restaurants. Visitors can enjoy farm-to-table fare and innovative dishes created by talented chefs.
Definitely the best market in cbus! You can get food and goods from many different cultures like African, Italian, polish, French, Chinese, etc. The noodle bar is fantastic, great local honey, and a pretty expansive wine and beer store. Great vibes and pleasant people all around
Amelia S — Google review
I have visited north market to get some dinner when I was in Columbus. I went there twice actually. They have a variety of food options to consider including Jeni’s ice cream! I got some pizza and some ice cream during one visit and enjoyed the food! Specifically the ice cream! On my next visit, I got food from Hoyo’s and it was very tasty too! There is an eating area one floor above with lots of chairs and tables. It closes at 7 PM (when I went there in August), so I had to check the timing a little carefully. It was easily accessible from my hotel by walk.
Vyshnavi V — Google review
What a fantastic place! So much good food! A lovely jewelry vendor, flowers, oils, cheese! Was our first time visiting and we will be back. Nice and close parking garage. Be sure to get your receipt for parking garage from the vendor you buy from. This is good for one hour of parking. Highly recommend North Market for a bite to eat and some local shopping.
Mary C — Google review
If I could leave a higher rating i definitely would. I went there with my boyfriend for the first time and my eyes immediately lit up! The food looked absolutely amazing, the pricing was way better than I had expected. The wait time for the food wasn’t nearly as long as I had anticipated. I will definitely be going back as many times as I’m able! I recommend the Birria tacos, 3 tacos for $14! As a bonus you are able to sit and overlook the whole place!
Madisyn H — Google review
First time here; quaint little place downtown. Great for new finds of food, coffees, oils / spices, desserts. Has a variety of cuisines, there is something for everyone. Seating indoor and outdoor, perfect for a lazy weekend or to meet with friends. Parking validation offered from one of the vendors I purchased from but didn’t accept when leaving garage. This would be the only downside - which could have been a fluke. Can’t wait to go back!

Neat place. Lots of variety. Lines weren’t too long during lunch. Loved the upstairs seating. Would have liked napkins there too.

North Market in Columbus is a foodie paradise with an amazing array of flavors and cuisines! From coffee to Italian, pho, ramen, Mexican, Indian, African, Mediterranean, and even oysters, there's something for everyone. Just a heads-up: it closes at 5 PM on Mondays, so plan accordingly! The air-conditioned space was a blessing on a hot day, although shopping options for gifts were limited—except for a great card store. I was bummed that Foxes Bagels was closed, as I've heard great things! Overall, a vibrant spot worth exploring! 🌟
Kerri F — Google review
Love this market! So many choices for food, or gifts, or whatever you crave. This reminds me of a European style market. Great place to grab a quick bite.

The Guild House is a unique dining spot with a rustic-modern ambiance, offering globally inspired seasonal menus. The dining room features 500 pieces of modern art curated from the private collection of owners Ron and Ann Pizzuti. The hotel's all-day eatery, The Guild House, serves up hearty comforts like smoked chicken hash and pan-seared halibut with sunchokes and truffled vinaigrette.
Adventurous soul and dedicated foodie here! Dinner at The Guild House was decent, though I had higher expectations given the steep prices. The presentation was stunning, and the service was a perfect 10/10 truly top-notch! Drinks were moderately boozy, which I appreciated, and the dessert was an absolute highlight. The atmosphere is amazing, making it a great spot for a vibrant dining experience. A solid choice for a special night out, but the food could elevate to match the hype!

This was a celebration for my daughters birthday. This is a beautiful restaurant. The decor is amazing. They have high beams of wood 🪵 work! I loved the presentation of the vases & the chandeliers. We had the best waitress named Casey. She went above to accommodate our needs. Especially my granddaughter has a food allergy. Kudos to the chef. I loved the hospitality of the management. I had to send my salmon 🍣 back because I was expecting the cooking a little different. Casey had them make me a new one! Based on the culinary 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳I wasn’t used to the taste! I wanted more seasoning on my salmon! I did add salt & I normally don’t use it. I appreciate the effort. I was happy with their carrot, this dessert was extremely delicious! My granddaughter who don’t like it tastes she like it. I order one to take home. My daughter enjoyed her lamb chops! My granddaughter enjoyed her pasta 🍝with cheese 🧀inside the noodles! It was good! My daughter enjoyed the cocktails 🍸 🍹 . I’ll update if I get the name! I advise you to check it out! The short north! You have to park 🅿️on street or the garage. You do have to pay in the garage & some street parking. 🥤🍟

The Guild House exceeded all expectations. Our server, Kylie, was absolutely fantastic. The lamb chops were spot on. The lobster anglotti was possibly the best pasta ever I have ever had. The caramelized banana dessert was perfect. My husband love the chocolate torte. The best part was our cocktails and appetizers were 50% off. This place is absolutely wonderful.

Not sure why this restaurant only has 4.6 stars — it truly deserves more. I’ve eaten here two days in a row, and every dish has been excellent. Simple ingredients, yet prepared so deliciously.Ben is a very caring waiter.I would recommend this place.
Wendy H — Google review
I chose to go to The Guild House for my birthday this year and was very pleased and happy with the experience. My husband and I ordered the gem salad and hasselback potatoes to share and for entrees chose the gnocchi and scallops. All were beautifully presented and delicious. We had a lovely and friendly waitress, Sydney. Thank you to the Guild House team for the birthday card and complimentary carrot cake dessert. All of you made my birthday very special. 😊
Nancy S — Google review
Really good food, but the bar area was super understaffed, which made the experience pretty slow. Our server/bartender was great, but she was covering too many tables and making drinks at the same time. We had to keep looking for her and ended up not even being able to order another drink, which was frustrating. The menu was awesome with lots of great options. I got the filet, which was cooked perfectly with great sides. The grits were surprisingly good too — creamy with an egg yolk on top that actually worked really well. They also had a great bourbon selection, which I wish I’d had more time to enjoy. The place had a fun, lively vibe and great energy. If they were better staffed, this would easily be a 5-star spot.

What a beautiful restaurant serving locally sourced food! 💕 To my amazing waitress with the tats (Apologies I can’t remember your name) thank you so so so much for making my solo birthday breakfast a treat! I ordered the pumpkin bread, doughnuts and lobster toast and everything was spot on. Thank you for your phenomenal service and kicking my birthday off with a bang! I’ll for surely be back with people!

Thank you very much for being able to accommodate a party of 7 at the very last minute. The front desk hostess and the manager were very helpful and accommodating for a non reservation party. I want to thank them. Secondly the food was delicious and well worth the price. Highly recommend the Lb Chops and Filet.

German restaurant
Schmidt’s Sausage Haus Restaurant is a historic German eatery located in a livery stable, offering an unpretentious atmosphere and live oompah music. Established in 1886 as a meatpacking business, it has retained traces of German-American culture. Situated in the revitalized German Village, this long-running establishment provides a unique culinary experience with its large selection of dishes and awesome service.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently dined at Schmidt's Sausage Haus, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience! I tried the turkey Reuben, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. The side of potato pancakes was phenomenal; they were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, truly a must-try! The beer selection was impressive, and I opted for a German light that complemented my meal beautifully. To top off my visit, I took a cream puff to go, which was a delightful treat! What really stood out was the fantastic interaction with the staff and fellow guests. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. I can't wait to return for another round of those amazing dishes! Highly recommend!
Kerri F — Google review
The best pretzel and cheese sauce, delicious. Pretzel flavor and texture so amazing. The sampler was a great way to experience many sausage options. The environment is clean and very engaging. Memorable art and stories are found here. I know people love the cream puff but mine was not good. The dough had too much of a used oil flavor and the cream was not good (vanilla). Also visit the fudge haus next door and get some chocolate.
Spencer O — Google review
Awesome classic German fare. Complete with an accordion two piece band and old brick roads out front. Throwback to the immigrants who came here almost 150 years ago. Friendly staff. The potato soup is thick and creamy. Stuffed cabbage, sauerbraten, and cream puff were perfect.
Alexander G — Google review
What a great experience. This was my family's first time. The place was packed when we walked in but we were seated promptly. The service was great and the food came out remarkably fast. The potato soup was delicious. We ordered the pretzel appetizer which came with cheese and mustard. My husband ordered the sausage sampler which was great. I got the reuben with potato pancakes. And lastly the desserts were great. Fresh and delicious. The neighborhood was cute and there were 2 shops afterwards to visit.
Lacey G — Google review
The buffet is back! Schmidt’s bratwurst, German potato salad (warm) and German chocolate cake is good any day of the week and anytime of time of the day. Love the warm and casual space. While it is may seem noisy to some, I find the table conversations pleasant and an indicator of everyone around me enjoying their meal and the company with them.
Tina H — Google review
Columbus, OH hosts a great German restaurant known for their sausages, schnitzel, and cream puffs. The staff is awesome. They help each other out to keep the service flowing. They are friendly and happy to explain the menu and options. The food is delicious and the beer offerings complement it perfectly. It is busy and popular so expect a wait during rush hour unless there is a spot at the bar. The vibe is family friendly. Lederhosen clad servers, polka music, and German themed decorations. The cream puffs are massive. Residential parking is available if the lot is full.
Nathan G — Google review
The atmosphere was lively and the place was full with many people waiting in line. The service was friendly and fast. I don’t eat pork so I did not have their famous sausages as even the beef ones have pork mixed with the beef. The server suggested two no pork dishes and I went with the breaded veal with mushroom burgundy gravy, and sides of red cabbage and potato pancakes with applesauce . I had a non alcoholic beer with the meal and for dessert their famous jumbo cream puff (vanilla). The only thing I really enjoyed was the beer ! I didn’t like the texture or the taste of the pastry shell and so I only ate the cream filling. The main dish was okay but not delicious. I guess I could not have what people come to this place for because of my dietary restrictions so it was not really the place for me.
Wafa R — Google review
Delicious and authentic German food with imported Bavarian beer options. The evening crowd was loud and boisterous (further authenticity 😂) but still had private feeling places with small booths and a bar area to one side. The artwork was interesting and added further charm to this historic building. The server was friendly and helpful and was prompt despite the full house.

Cap City Fine Diner and Bar offers a polished setting with a retro, midcentury look and serves American comfort food with a twist. The restaurant is known for accommodating families, offering a year-round heated patio with drop-down enclosures during harsh weather. With three locations in Dublin, Grandview, and Gahanna, the upscale diner theme caters to all age groups.
This place was awesome!!! The food was awesome! The service was awesome!! The bill was big!!! 5 people almost two hundred in food but we got two apps, 5 meals, 2 coffees, 2 pops, a water, 5 shakes, and a triple chocolate cake! It isn't cheap diner food, it's great food in a diner-esq restaurant. All of it was well worth it!!
Kirk T — Google review
It wasn't very busy and we sat outside on the patio. It's a nice diner, reminded us of The Silver Diner in Alexandria VA. Food was good, but nothing exceptional, typical All American menu. Wife had a Cheese Burger, and I had the Triple Cheese Toast. The egg was definitely a surprise hit on it. We also ordered the Hot and Spicy Calamari. It was ok. Flavor was decent, but the hot n spicy sauce overpowered the dish IMHO. Next we ordered 2 Milkshakes, one regular vanilla (w/cherry on top)and, one "Almond Vodka." They were decent, but again IMHO nothing special. Service, despite only 2 Servers, was good. Very friendly. Would make it a point to go back, but if you're in a nearby hotel like we were and you're not interested in going too far, give it a try.

The meal was outstanding. The server was excellent. I had Chicken Romano served 3 large chicken fillets egg dipped, breaded, seasoned to perfection then fried perfectly. Served with a side of buttered noodles and hot buttered rolls. Cap City has a great choice of beer on top. I choose Brew Gentleman IPA from Columbus. Can't wait to go back.

Fantastic restaurant, food was amazing and delicious, finished my plate, well worth the money, glad we visited this restaurant. Our waitress Colleen was awesome, she was very friendly and pleasant. Small menu, everything was delicious. Loved the milkshakes.

I have to say it was a great experience. But definitely make a reservation for dinner time. We had a 55 min wait, but they were right on time. Service was amazing. Food came out fast and hot. Will definitely visit agian when in town.

We love this location. We visit at least once a month and always recommend it if someone needs a place to go for brunch or dinner. They have a nice patio to dine on as well.
Ryan ( — Google review
The fish and chips were perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the warm soft pretzel with beer cheese were fresh from the oven. Soft, buttery, and delicious. The beer cheese itself had a unique flavor that really stood out. A fun bonus: on weekends, they serve complimentary cinnamon rolls, and they are incrediblely warm, gooey, and unforgettable. I can’t wait to go back and try their dessert menu.
Anne R — Google review
One of the best dinning experiences I've had all year, from begginng to end. My server Grace was amazing, as well as the food. I will go back everytime I come to Columbus. There is an excellence here that I seldom see at restaurants at all price points.

Mitchell's Ocean Club is an upscale supper club in Columbus, Ohio, known for its seafood focus and prime steaks. The restaurant offers a vibrant energy and stunning settings, making it perfect for intimate evenings or group gatherings. With a wide range of seafood and steak options, including the popular salmon and filet mignon dishes, as well as a signature wine list with over 50 options by the glass, Mitchell's Ocean Club promises an exceptional dining experience.
I’ve been to Ocean Club multiple times over the years for dinner, but last week was my first time in for brunch and it was amazing. Our waitress Monica was so kind and knowledgeable about the menu, every time I go to Ocean club the service is impeccable. I accidentally spilled my mimosa and the manager Peyton immediately got me another one. I was slightly embarrassed, but they made a lighthearted joke about it and helped lighten my mood. The food was delicious, absolutely delicious. I have never had a bad meal at Ocean Club, it is hands down my favorite restaurant!

My first experience at ocean club was wonderful! The restaurant was beautiful and clean and the staff were amazing. Lilly and the others hots were so friendly and helpful and we all felt very welcomed. Our server, Ethan, and his server assist, Jameson, were phenomenal and we were wowed by our amazing service. They were polite and very attentive with a positive attitude and in depth knowledge of the menu. The food was beyond delicious and was made in a timely manner for a Saturday night. I am so pleased with my experience there and I will be returning.

This is by far the best place to enjoy oysters, lobster, and especially the lobster bisque soup! Every dish was incredibly delicious and creamy, with generous chunks of fresh lobster in every bite. I’ve tried lobster bisque at many different restaurants, but none compare to the one here at Mitchell’s Ocean Club. This soup is on a whole other level — absolutely divine. By far a 10/10. Compliments to the chef! And don't forget to ask for Christian amazing server

Wow, this place was amazing! We got there on a Friday at 415pm for happy hour and the place was already packed. Get there early if you want preferred seating. This place has everything you would expect. Awesome food, thoughtful delicious drinks, and excellent service. You're paying top dollar and getting everything you expect in return. The sushi roll and calamari were great but the tortellini was incredible! One of the best things I've ever tried and wanted a loaf of bread to dip in the sauce. Just unreal. Highly recommend!

Oh-My-Gosh…we were in Columbus for a graduation and driving by spotted this sign. Turned out to be the only restaurant I have dined to have every-single-item be top tier in presentation and flavor. The best ever house salad, gourmet gator tops, creamed spinach, NY steak, sushi, twice baked potato, jumbo prawn cocktail, and top shelf drinks! The icing was our friendly, perfectly poised of information, extremely knowledgeable server, KYLIE!! Thank you Kylie, for making our family celebration extraordinary and memorable! Though we did not have a reservation…they asked us if we were celebrating something and then surprised us with graduation decorations on our table. Beautiful ambience as well! Their mindset is, “Yes, is the answer. What is the question?” The BEST!!

This ocean club has been one of the most popular decent restaurants at Easton for years. There are private rooms, a great bar, a rooftop patio, and many good-looking servers. I finally had a chance to eat here with my friend. Their seafood entrees were impressive with fresh seafood and chef’s innovations. The tuna tartare as an appetizer was phenomenal where juicy tuna was perfectly mixed with avocado and secret sauce. I would highly recommend the sea scallop entree. Juicy and tender scallops were grilled perfectly with decent risotto. Their martini tasted great with an alcohol marinated pineapple chunk. However, their sushi was mediocre. It tasted like those sold at Kroger with better tuna. Honestly, we were disappointed with the atmosphere of the dining room. This is my first time feeling crowded at a luxury restaurant because tables were extremely close to each other. It would not be surprising if I joined other people by turning around. The room was also very noisy. I could not hear clearly sitting in front of my friend. It was also hard for servers who sometimes had to push our chairs to get through. This should not happen at a luxury restaurant.

My husband and I were lucky enough to get a giftcard that let us dine here, and our experience was the best we could have asked for! Our waiter, whose English name was James, was so attentive and personable. The filet IS as good as everyone says, especially with the truffle butter. Get the goat cheese ravioli and Gouda tots! The cocktails were very good. Everything was TOP notch! We’ll be talking about this place forever.

Took my girlfriend here for here birthday last night and we had an amazing experience. Our waiter (James) was so good at making the experience even better and cannot say how great he was. We started with some cocktails, I had the Tequila cocktail which tasted so good. My girfriend had the passion martini and she loved it. Then we had some appetizers. The shrimp cocktail and a crab cake. Both were great! After that was dinner and it did not disappoint. Chilean sea bass for me and lobster tails for my GF. Amazing! We finished with dessert, peanut butter chocalate pie and warm butter cake! We loved our night at the Ocean club and would highly recommend for someone looking to have some great food. Only thing we did not care was the music was a little loud and hard to talk. Or maybe I'm just old. Lol overall great experience!!!

The Pearl is a sophisticated tavern by Cameron Mitchell, offering an upscale gastropub experience with an oyster bar. The menu features innovative dishes like pineapple marinated hanger steak and southern fried chicken paired with unique sides. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of culinary delights in the surrounding area, from artisanal ice cream at Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams to craft coffee at One Line Coffee.
There’s a reason The Pearl continues to be one of the best restaurants in Columbus Ohio. This time we went for brunch (a first for me). As always the atmosphere was great energy—exactly what you want for brunch. The spicy Bloody Mary was seasoned perfectly, served with a small miller high life to wash it down. The espresso martini was strong but still smooth. For starters the biscuit donuts, smoked salmon, and jalapeño corn spoon bread were so amazing like..? The jalapeño corn spoon bread is a staple there. Please get it. Our entrees were the peanut butter pancakes, biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon, and the shrimp and grits. For myself I got the eggs Benedict but prepared with this crab, etc. I wish I could repeat the whole description the waitress gave. It was a daily special for brunch and I’m so happy I took a chance on it. Incredible. Even if you’re not trying their weekend brunch, The Pearl always delivers. Busier nights might give way to few more bad experiences but this place will always consistently deliver when it to service and food. Great job.

We had a great happy hour experience at The Pearl. Our server Eric was excellent! He took the time to ask about our cocktail preferences and gave thoughtful recommendations based on what we were looking for. He made sure the drinks had no added sugar, just as we requested. When we were packing up our leftover cornbread, he brought extra whipped butter and honey, which no other server has done before. Eric was kind, attentive, and made our visit memorable. Highly recommend asking for him!

Absolutely loved this spot. We happened by here by happy accident. Had the clam chowder, oysters, and Fish and Chips which were all near perfect versions of their categories. Our waiter was top of the line. We'll be back next time we are in town.

Ratings have it as 4.8 / 5.0 , I’d say my experience was 2.5 / 5.0. Busy place 6pm Wednesday night. They had no tables so I opted for the, I guess you could call middle height bar. Waiter was friendly, got my order but I never saw him again until he took my card to pay which alright maybe he had other tables I’m always an easy guest, but never came and got my empty dish or filled up water. First dish was good, nice tuna dish. Second dish was below average. Chicken was dry. It said roasted potatoes on the menu came with it, upon arrival there were only 4 on the plate. Maybe I just ordered the wrong dish. Waiter asked how dinner was, but he seemed he couldn’t care less that I told him the dish was below average. No one greeted me on the way out. I’m not here to tarnish a reputation, I just keep these for my own personal. Maybe I sat at the wrong seat, maybe the guy had other tables, I most likely ordered the wrong dish. But my experience wasn’t 4.8/5. 2.5 / 5.0

Great location on main center street of Columbus. This restaurant brought to my attention from reputation & recommendation. No Valet service no parking use uber or taxi. Welcoming was very dry you can tell guy was tired and was not exciting to see us. Ambience decor like old ‘90 Applebees they need renovation so bad. Food is out this world impeccable 10 out of 10 chefs cheers. Server he forgot for I moment that he at work no he wasn’t rude or mean. He was effervescent. He was sassy. Took our order so late from appetizers to main dish wish waited .I understand that industry I left him tip but not happy with his attitude

We visited Short north two weeks ago and tried out a couple of nice spots. This came across our radar on Yelp and decided to try it out. Starting with the good; the service was perfect and attentive. Our server helped out plenty and got refills quickly when needed. I always like to recognize an exceptional server. I forgot their name, but definitely is an asset to the team. As for the atmosphere, it’s a very nice interior and I appreciate the attention to detail in the color choices and overall ambiance. Our table was sitting rather close to the table behind us. I felt like I was sitting on the guys lap. It did make for some good conversation eavesdropping LOL. But again it’s very well done inside. We also got a dessert for a birthday that was phenomenal. It was a Mississippi mud pie if I remember correctly. Very rich and decadent. For the neutrals: the bread was okay and the fried pickles were good with their very herbaceous ranch. They fry bread and butter chips and dill spears in their pickle basket which I found interesting. The fish and chips were well seasoned and had a rich tar tar sauce which I personally loved. As for the negatives: I got the scallops after craving them for a couple weeks. I was very excited to see them on the menu. I didn’t read the description good enough; which I take the blame for, but they were terrible. It’s five seared scallops served with unseasoned blanched vegetables that have absolutely no synergy on the plate. Theres random green beans and edamame and a canned looking tomato mush on top of a bed of lemon dressed lettuce. It was such a strange iteration of scallops. Not only was it a confusing plate that lacked congruency, but it also made me sick. The scallops had a slight fishiness to them, which I figured was amplified due to the freezing process that probably took place on the way to the land locked city of Columbus. Turns out they either weren’t finished cooking or had some other bacteria because I spent too much time the next couple days taking g care of myself( I’ll spare those details). All in all, I would give it a try and ask for guidance from the servers for what to order. We probably didn’t pick the best options in the menu, but if they’re that bad they should even be on it.

We had a fantastic experience at The Pearl in Columbus’ Short North! The oysters were absolutely delicious, but what really stood out was the incredible service. We came in with a large group, and our server, Gary, was amazing—attentive, patient, and so accommodating. He handled everything seamlessly and went above and beyond, especially with our teenage daughters who didn’t love the short rib. He graciously helped them switch to the NY strip, which they enjoyed so much more. Truly top-tier service that made the whole evening even more memorable. The espresso martinis were some of the best we’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

The Refectory Restaurant offers an upscale dining experience with a focus on classic French cuisine and an extensive wine selection. Housed in a former church, the restaurant boasts soaring ceilings and stained-glass windows, creating a unique and elegant atmosphere. With over 40 years of history, it has received numerous awards for its exceptional food and service, making it one of the best places to dine in Columbus.
Dinner at this restaurant was a fantastic experience. From the start, our waitress, Michelle, was awesome. She was extremely professional yet down to earth, easy to talk to, and always made sure we were taken care of all the way down to even replacing my girlfriends wine glass without prompt because “it wasn’t polished to her liking”. The food was fantastic, presented beautifully, cooked perfectly, and seasoned in a way in which it’s impossible to imagine it being prepared any better. The wine pairing was fantastic, the gentleman that brought out the wines gave brief yet informative descriptions of each wine before pouring. We ended up buying 2 bottles to take home with us. The experience overall was the best we’ve ever had at any restaurant. Private, intimate, romantic, upscale and overall relaxing and enjoyable. We will be back soon.

I came here to celebrate my birthday, and The Refectory did not disappoint. Every plate was beautifully presented and full of flavor—elegant without being fussy. The bisque was rich, the ratatouille vibrant, and the sea bass absolutely perfect. They even brought out a personalized dessert with a candle—small gesture, big impact. Service was thoughtful, the ambiance felt special, and the night was unforgettable. Definitely recommend for a celebration or a quiet, elevated night out.

Rodizio Grill Brazilian Steakhouse Columbus is a popular spot for an authentic Brazilian dining experience. The restaurant offers a variety of rotisserie-grilled meats, carved tableside by Brazilian Gauchos, providing both delicious food and entertainment. In addition to the meats, there's a large salad bar with an array of options including salads, vegetables, potatoes, breads, and cheeses. The inviting atmosphere and traditional Brazilian flavors bring the menu to life.
Went for our son's 17th birthday. He's been such a good kid & this place was an EXPERIENCE we wanted to enjoy as a family. Great service by our server Kate B! Highly recommend!

We have loved coming here for over 10 years. This most recent visit was horrible. Chicken was raw. Pork was all fat. Most of the food that actually came to our table was cold. Salad bar was fine as always. Even the cinnamon bananas were well undercooked. Asked for the manager and she seemed to care very little and only gave us 50% off. Still had to pay $50 for cold and most raw food. Will definitely look around for other Brazilian steakhouse options. I still can't believe we had to pay money for the amount of food that was edible!!

Yesterday on Friday, September 19, we went as a group of five adults and a 20 month old baby to Rodizio Grill to celebrate the birthdays of two people in our group. We had two birthday coupons prepared for the occasion. We arrived for our 6:30 p.m. reservation, and once seated, we immediately informed our server that one member of our group was pregnant and could not eat any meat cooked less than medium. The server acknowledged our request. We then went to the buffet, where we found that several items were lukewarm. During our first hour at the table, the meat rotation only included spicy chicken, parmesan chicken, and chicken hearts. They brought steak only once, and it was completely rare (just seared on the outside). We politely told the server about this and asked if they could bring medium-cooked meat instead, explaining again that we had a pregnant person in our group. The server agreed and assured us it was on its way. After an hour and twenty minutes in the restaurant, our server informed us that the birthday coupons automatically add a 20% gratuity to the bill. She then dropped the check at our table—without us asking for it and her without offering dessert. At this point, no properly cooked meat had been served yet, and the few that arrived continued to be very rare, not edible even. When another server came to pick up the check, we explained everything that had happened. She apologized, offered us free dessert, and once again assured us that medium-cooked meat would be on its way. Forty minutes later, a server finally brought out several cuts of meat on an extremely hot tray and placed it directly in front of the baby sitting at our table. The meat was completely overcooked, dried out, and portioned so small that it couldn’t feed our group. Another server came by, questioned why the tray had even been placed on our table, and asked again if we wanted it. Thinking it was some sort of joke, we said no. He then removed the tray and immediately offered it to the table beside us. We never asked for any additional discounts and ended up paying our bill in full (it did include birthday discounts) At around 8:30 and two hours later with none of our requests being met, we asked the hostess at the front desk to validate our parking ticket so we wouldn’t have to pay at the garage. She appeared to agree and acted as if she had done it, but when we tried to leave the garage, we discovered the ticket was never validated and we ended up having to pay. In short, we left hungry, upset and with the worst restaurant experience we’ve ever had, and it completely ruined our celebration. We’re definitely never coming back here again. -10/10

Very limited selection on meat choices. The ones they had are rare and chewy and tough to eat. 4 people 245$ was not worth the food choices. THE CHOCOLATE CAKE IS THE WORST DIED OUT CAKE IVE EVER HAD.

Went to Rodizio Grill before an event at Nationwide. It was our first time going to a Brazilian Steakhouse. Cost was $49.99 p/p. While they had a variety of about 10 different meat selections, the portions were barely slivers and you had to wait for them to eventually round back to your table. We were a party of four, and all four of us found the "salad bar" very lacking in not only selections but any sort of flavor. Experience can be wrapped up by saying our bill for 4 was $274 - we would have rather spent the money on better portions and a much better selection on sides.
Kayla D — Google review
This was our third visit to the restaurant. We made a reservation and only had to wait a few minutes when we arrived for our table. The food is always wonderful. It can be a little overwhelming at times when the servers line up offering different meat options at the same time. I love the salads and side dishes from the salad and hot bars. With the full rodizio, we never seem to save room for dessert. If you go, be sure to make a reservation and try the pineapple--even ask for a few pieces at a time since it seems to rotate through the dining room less often, and it is a manu favorite.

This innovative space, brought to life by Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, features a dynamic mix of eight to ten chef-driven eateries offering everything from mouthwatering pizza and tacos to crispy fried chicken and fries.
What a great place to find food.. Made my decision of what we'd actually get hard because there was such a great variety. That food from four different places and everything was delicious. Worth the price. The Philly cheesesteaks for a nice homage to Philly. The fries at that location were absolutely delicious. The Jamaican food was spot on. Then for dessert it could get a brownie cookie or cheesecake. For the adult vibe they have bar on the rooftop.

A little pricey, but great concept. A high Scale food Court. Our family of four paid about $90 for our meal. My son and I enjoyed the noodle restaurant-everything was cooked fresh to order and had great flavor. My husband and daughter had Cluck Norris-the chicken, onion rings and fries were all amazing. We all like pickle chips deep fried over pickle spears, but the batter tasted good. They have a central bar where you can get beers or cocktails, too.

⭐️⭐️ 2/5 📍 Beep Beep – Budd Dairy Food Hall (Columbus, OH) ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ – Budd Dairy Food Hall First time hearing about Budd Dairy? It’s a local food hall in Columbus with rotating vendors, small restaurants, and a solid reputation for good eats. Beep Beep is one of them — serving Filipino comfort food like adobo rice bowls. 🍚 I ordered the #ChickenAdoboBowl, mainly because it came with garlic rice. That was the selling point. But what I got? Bland, room-temp white rice with no real flavor at all. The garlic must’ve called off. 🧅 The pickled onions — usually my favorite part — were dull and tasted like fridge leftovers. No brightness, no bite. The chicken was soft but barely seasoned. If it hadn’t been lightly sauced, I wouldn’t have known what I was eating. 🍳 Surprisingly, the egg was the star. Perfectly cooked with crispy edges and a runny yolk that actually brought some life to the dish. If the rest of the bowl matched the egg, we’d be having a very different conversation. 🙃 I ordered with high hopes — not just because I’d enjoyed my last visit, but because I wanted this to be my go-to when I was in the mood for something warm and filling. Instead, I left with half a bowl and still craving something “good.” 🙂‍↔️ The portion was fair and the presentation looked nice, but none of that mattered when I couldn’t even bring myself to finish it. Not because I was full — but because I couldn’t justify forcing it down. 🎁 With so many other vendors under the same roof, I’ll probably keep exploring — but this bowl reminded me that pretty packaging doesn’t always mean a flavorful payoff. 🙋🏽‍♀️ Anyone else try Beep Beep lately? Maybe I caught an off day?

This sounds like a foodie paradise! The lack of mall distractions and the pure focus on the culinary experience is truly something to aspire for. The taco restaurant and southern restaurant pairing is already mouth-watering and with the unique flavors of Filipino street food and Pokebap, it's a feast for the taste buds. The clean, unique ambience with friendly service adds to the whole experience. The rooftop bar and patio are the icing on the cake, allowing one to enjoy the view and relax while enjoying the food. Places like this are truly worth visiting again and again! What's your favorite restaurant?

We visited here over the weekend and the choices and quality were great! It’s kid friendly but no kid menus and large portions were really the only semi con about it. We managed well considering and tried almost a plate from each plate. The taco place made a simple quesadilla for my son. The pizza joint pasta had my girl happy and for me welllll I could have eaten it all! I had the lamb and chicken bowl from the Mediterranean spot. The garlic sauce was amazing! Highly recommend. The service and cleaning of the tables and getting us to go bags from the staff was commendable. Don’t forget the cheesecake! They were all delightful to take with us but especially the Buckeye one! Thanks for a great time!

The Thurman Cafe is a bustling American eatery known for its oversized, toppings-loaded burgers and full bar. It's famous for attracting athletes from around the world, especially during the annual Arnold Schwartzenegger Sports Festival in March. The star of the menu is The Thurmanator, a massive and juicy burger with two 12-ounce patties and numerous toppings. While it can get touristy and crowded, the wait is worth it for these mouth-watering options.
Super fun time at Thurmond Cafe. We had a 40 minute wait but it was totally worth it. Very eclectic place, nice and attentive servers, delicious food. Me and my wife shared a White Pizza Thin and the Thurman Burger, it was a ton of food. My favorite thing were the Battered Onion Straws. Would definitely come back to try more menu items.

Ok, these burgers are legit. If you are a hungry college student order a burger, if you are not- order one to split, seriously. 12oz to start, big burgers, but super tasty. We had several and all of them were good, get them med well (I usually like med rare, but these are big enough to take a little extra. A family owned dive bar kind of place. Not many tables so plan ahead, they won’t seat until everyone is present. Staff all share waiting duties, so at least there is always someone checking on you, but it is all made to order so nothing is fast, but it is worth the wait. Fries and onion rings were ok, as was the Ruben. Not bad, but stick with the burgers. Beers on tap and some in the can. Friendly staff, street parking. Gets busy fast. You will not go hungry (even splitting).

I need to double the stars to 10. First off I'd like to say I've ate here a few times and it gets better each time. The burgers are so big and cooked phenomenally. Has to be the best burger joint in Ohio. Victor is such a a great guy he was my server both times I've been there. I felt like I've known him my entire life and he treats you like family. If you go here please know it's worth the wait Everytime.

The ideal burger bar, Thurman's is a small space packed with personality. From it's rowdy music to the dollar bills all over the walls, it is a fun place to be and its authenticity is not skin deep. It has a good beer menu, great fries, fantastic onion rings, and speedy yet friendly service. But, let's face it; you can find all these at other places. What is hard to find is a burger as good as Thurman's. I got the Thurman burger, which was packed with toppings. This made for an over-the-top burger which I thought was actually a knock against the glory that is the patty of this burger. It is perfect: juicy, flavorful, cooked-to-order, and huge (their burgers are all 3/4 lb). Next time, I have to get the western burger to really make the most of the incredibly tasty meat in that patty and I hope that is sooner rather than later.

Martini Modern Italian offers a contemporary take on traditional Italian cuisine in a stylish setting adorned with chandeliers. The restaurant, owned by renowned Columbus restauranteur Cameron Mitchell, can accommodate private dining groups of up to 65 people. Located within the Hilton Columbus Downtown, Gallerie Bar & Bistro showcases Ohio's agricultural heritage by using locally sourced ingredients to create exceptional dishes.
We had a wonderful dinner at Martini Modern. The storefront and decor are beautiful, and the food was delicious. I greatly enjoyed the chicken parmesan, others enjoyed the branzino, the salmon, and the bread service. But the best thing about the meal was the service. Server John R is an absolute pro, and provided us superior quality service, making it look effortless, despite a large table and complex order. He made the experience extraordinary.

Amazing!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Our server was amazing and attentive even with multiple large groups under her care. The recommendations she gave were outstanding. All the cocktails were tasty and came very quickly to the table. The salmon was amazing. Perfectly broiled with a lovely creamy butter sauce! The loaded focaccia was a table favorite as well as the stracciatella! Loved everything about our dinner!

Food is amazing! Pictured is the truffle garlic bread, chicken carbonara, and the chicken piccata. All were SO good! The service here is also great along with the atmosphere. We have come here twice this month and have been lucky enough the have the server Eric both times. He is super knowledgeable and fun to talk too. He worked his way up through the kitchen and knows all of the in’s and outs of the food here. He also knows his wine. If you come here and he is available you MUST request him. He makes the experience so much better!

It is a convention days, most of the restaurants are busy. We tried to book the table 2 days and result was negative. Extremely busy, but they have a bar with full service. Very good food, the bartender is perfect, she was always on time, always asking if we need anything else. Good experience.
DNK — Google review
First off, the wait staff was very kind and prompt and the fact that they have designated staff to come around and fill your water is a HUGE plus! The atmosphere was classy while at the same time not being over the top. One thing that set the atmosphere apart from a lot of restaurants were the big comfy chairs at the tables. 👌 now I want to talk about the food and drinks. The cocktails were delicious! However, the specialty cocktails are a bit too pricey, and a large pour of wine costs more than the bottle. Yes, I know this is how restaurants make a lot of their profit but It was a little excessive. All the other drinks were fair in my opinion. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The appetizers were large and super flavorful (we got a calamari app that isn't pictured because I had to dig in) and well priced. My wife got a lamb pasta that was like a hearty stew with thick noodles that was mouthwatering, but my steak stole the show. The steak was perfectly cooked 10/10 and the small amount of balsamic reduction mixed with the herb butter set it off. The crispy potatoes, which weren't actually that crispy, were SO good. Idk what the flavor was that I was tasting, but I'm here for it. All in all I would definitely recommend Martini and we will be coming back.

I work for another Cameron Mitchell restaurant. One of our regulars informed us her favorite dessert is Chocolate Torte. I spoke with Stephanie who was amazing with delivering and fulfilling my request. Thank you for helping me with making her birthday one she will never forgot.

Martini Modern Italian, Columbus, Ohio Pulling up, I was instantly relieved to see valet service waiting right out front. It’s a small touch, but one that sets the tone, no circling the block, no stress, just straight into the experience. Inside, the restaurant hums with energy. The remodel has given it a sleek, modern edge without losing its warmth. There’s a lively buzz from the crowd, a low thump of music in the background, and the unmistakable feeling that this is where people come to kick off their night. I started with the Hugo by Proxy, a light, refreshing cocktail featuring Giffard Aperitif, elderflower, and alcohol-removed sparkling wine. Bright, slightly floral, and crisp, it set the mood perfectly. The Martini Salad was a pleasant surprise. Expecting delicate ribbons of prosciutto, I instead found what I can only describe as “Italian bacon bits,” crumbled prosciutto scattered among greens, tomatoes, pine nuts, and tangy gorgonzola. The balsamic tied everything together, but it was that salty, meaty crunch that made the salad memorable. For the main course, the Lasagna leaned classic but executed with finesse, layers of fresh pasta, robust sausage, and San Marzano tomato sauce that tasted slow-simmered and balanced, not too acidic or heavy. Comfort food elevated. To finish, a scoop of Vanilla Bean Gelato alongside a foamy cappuccino, simple, timeless, and the perfect close. Service from Leeann was standout, warm, attentive, and genuine, which only elevated the evening. Martini strikes a rare balance, polished enough for a celebration, but comfortable enough for a casual night out. With its history dating back to 1996 and its recent refresh under Executive Chef John Paul Iacobucci, Martini Modern Italian feels both rooted and forward-looking. It’s no wonder it continues to be a Short North staple. If you’re making a dining circuit through Columbus, this spot deserves a top slot. #MeijerFineDiningClub #Ohio #foodie #restaurants

Restaurant
Barcelona Restaurant and Bar, located in German Village, offers a genuine taste of Spain with its bustling atmosphere and sleek space. The LGBTQIA-owned establishment has been serving classic tapas like patatas bravas and empanadas since the 90s. The menu also features shareable specialties such as charbroiled cauliflower, mussels in tomato curry and coconut cream, and baked manchego with sun-dried tomato jam.
“American sized” tapas, more like “de talla mediana” (medium sized plates). Portions sizes are quite big compared to what you would expect for a tapas place. But presentation, quality of food, service and ambience are excellent, especially the outdoor patio. We were out there with a group of friends for dinner. My wife and I ordered a bunch of tapas items and by the 6th one we were full, didn’t order the main course anymore. We ordered Sangria and few other cocktails as well - everything was perfect. Our server Brad was fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Celebrated my birthday dinner here. Was definitely a great experience the patio seating is where it's at if you can sit out there. Our service was amazing and the food was delicious. The proportions were also fairly big there are some options to share as well. Definitely worth the experience!!

First time visiting the restaurant as we had a friend come over from Cincinnati. Happy hour menu was reasonable especially the tapas (they only serve them at the bar which had a very wide table). They were all good. Yana served us and she's been a delightful person the whole time we were there so make sure you ask for her (she's at the bar). She made my Martini and it was so good! I tasted the sangria too and it was perfect.

Barcelona has always been one of my favorite establishments! The service, the food in the aesthetics are always top-notch! They handled our large group with ease! We shared tapas, wine and a few entrees. Will most definitely return! The staff and management we're so attentive and treated us to dessert! Thank you so much for representing Columbus so well! 🌈🫶🏽😁

Micah was fantastic! The tapas is good, just wish we were able to try the steak (they ran out). The garlic shrimp was my favorite and the tres leches dessert was amazing! I love the warm atmosphere and option to dine on the patio.

We just celebrated our anniversary here, spent our honeymoon on barcelona so we were excited about trying it out. We loved it, our server (Sarah I believe) was great, the drinks were fantastic, best sangria I've ever had. My wife is vegetarian so the Verde paella was our choice and we loved it. We will be back.

Three of us shared empanadas, patatas, churros, chorizo, burrata, and the Mariscos paella. The space is pretty, the service was good, the food was very good. We finished with the panna cotta and orange pistachio cake and both were very good. Extensive wine list though I was hoping for a couple of bottles of more exclusive wines for being a wine spectator award winner. I would give it 4.5 across the board.

Dirty Frank's Hot Dog Palace is a casual restaurant that offers a wide variety of hot dogs with unique toppings, including gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options. With a budget-friendly menu, customers can enjoy specialty hot dogs like the Seoul Dog with Korean kimchi and spicy pickled cabbage or the Whoa Nellie with pulled beef brisket and barbecue sauce.
Franks Restaurant offers great food, great service and a pleasant atmosphere at reasonable prices. The bartenders are friendly and courteous and the variety of hot dogs is highly recommended. Whether it's Texas Tommy or Cheese Fries, everything is satisfying. The restaurant is small, but service is prompt and attentive, offering regular and vegan hot dogs with creative toppings. The Chicago dog and onion rings were particularly excellent and affordable for those on a budget or in a group. The overall experience was excellent and worth coming back for

Honestly, one of the top 3 hot dogs I’ve ever had—super fresh and tasty. The toppings were creative and actually added flavor, not just random extras. The staff was great—chill, friendly, and our server kept checking in and refilling without us even asking. It was still crowded even after midnight, which says a lot. Perfect spot for a late dinner or midnight munchies. Laid-back vibe, quick bite or takeout style, and totally worth it.
Nahal G — Google review
Best hot dogs I’ve ever had. They have such a wide selection of different toppings and decently priced as well. It feels like a very welcoming and calm atmosphere. There is art work to look at all over the walls as well. 10/10 will eat a Weiner there again.

Cool vibe and a great local spot. Great hot dogs, fries and onion rings. Huge slection of hot dog options.Rootbeer on tap and a good selection of local craft brews. Super friendly service. Sit at the bar, have a dog and a brew. You won't be disappointed.
Scott C — Google review
Came in here on a recent visit to Columbus after seeing all of the fantastic reviews, hoping to find a good hot dog stand. Maybe it was just the time we went, but I could not have been more wrong. The Dogs I got the Chicago dog, and it definitely had some ups in the bumpy ride of eating this glizzy. The dog itself was fine. It would have held its own in a simpler recipe with fewer toppings to conceal it. The bun was good, well-flavored with the poppy seeds you would expect from a Chicago style establishment. The pickle was delicious, with a nice snap and good flavor. However, this is the end of my praise for the dog, as frankly things quickly go downhill from here. The tomatoes were chopped much too large to fit in the bun, and even after containing their escape, they were watery and did not have much flavor. The relish was heaped onto the dog in quantities that dwarfed the glizzy, and all other condiments, concealing the onion flavor entirely. The Fries We got the raunchy fries, which were… okay? The fries had the texture of being under a heat lamp for an extended time, but somehow none of the heat. However, the ranch topping was fairly seasoned and would have been delicious given better fries underneath. The Root Beer I think I just had bad luck on this one. The root beer taste itself was great (as expected) but the carbonation was extremely weak and the temperature was almost room temperature. I wouldn’t expect ice cold from an on-tap drink with no ice in it, but I expected it to at least feel cold to the touch when I grabbed the glass, which this was not. All in all, we may have gone on an off day, but I won’t be going out of my way to try this again.

Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace was a fun and delicious experience! I took my husband for his thirtieth birthday, knowing this is the type of stuff he likes, and it was a huge hit! Being from Indiana, I had to order the Ohioana Dog. I also got the Classy Lady and both were very good. The amount of cheese on the Classy Lady was perfect! My husband said his favorite was the Classic Chicagoan Hot Dog. We left with some merch and good memories!

Restaurant
The Top Steak House is a classic Columbus institution that has been serving up top-quality steaks and seafood since 1955. The restaurant offers a clubby setting with live piano music, featuring a lineup of talented pianists throughout the week. Known for its charbroiled steaks, jumbo lobster tails, and slowly roasted ribs, this iconic steakhouse highlights local ingredients and Ohio flavors in its menu.
Bethany was totally on point. Everything was timed perfectly. No rush. Everything was fantastic. It’s 2025 and prices were in line with service and atmosphere. The exception was the lobster tail. A bit pricey even in today’s market. On the other hand the cocktails had generous portions and were quite reasonable. The escargot was really tasty. Not smothered in so much garlic you couldn’t taste the dish. Prime rib done to perfection. Scallops again done right.

We had an incredible evening at The Top Steakhouse. From the moment we sat down, our waitress Cher went above and beyond—her service was friendly, attentive, and truly made the night special. The porterhouse steak was absolutely phenomenal—perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. We ended the meal with the cheesecake, which was rich, creamy, and the perfect finish. We chose to sit out on the patio, and it was such a lovely atmosphere—relaxed, comfortable, and perfect for enjoying such a memorable meal. Without a doubt, The Top Steakhouse lives up to its reputation. We can’t wait to come back!

Went here for my birthday dinner and had an amazing experience. When you first pull up, the outside doesn’t exactly scream “fine dining,” but as soon as you walk in, it’s like stepping into a completely different world, something straight out of the 1950s. The ambiance is warm, nostalgic, and full of character. We walked through the restaurant and passed by three unique bar areas; one being a piano bar, another inside (can’t remember the name), and the third, where we sat, was the patio bar. The patio had such a relaxed, inviting vibe, it felt like a little hidden gem. The food? Absolutely incredible. Every bite was spot on. But what really made the night stand out was the service, friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. I was beyond impressed with every aspect of this place and can’t wait to come back. Easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the Columbus area.

My partner and I went to The Top Steakhouse to celebrate our anniversary, and it was nothing short of a memorable experience. The atmosphere, live music, service — and the FOOD? Incredible. From the appetizer to the entrée, everything was absolutely delicious. My partner ordered the surf and turf with the porterhouse, and I had the ribeye — juicy, flavorful, and hot! The lobster tail was perfectly seasoned with a mix of sweet and savory. Kevin, our waiter, was wonderfully attentive and informative about our options, even surprising us with a sweet treat to celebrate our special occasion. 1000/10 — we’ll definitely be back!
Bree B — Google review
Went to check out to see what all the buzz was about. Can definitely say it has quite the nice atmosphere. Love pianist by the bar inside and a very comfortable shaded patio outside. Quickly got a table and the portions on all the food was very generous. Had enough leftovers for another meal later. Onion rings were biggest I've even seen and had a perfect crunch to them. The steak was very thick and the truffle butter was very flavorful. Concerns were twofold. Firstly the staffing was a bit shorthanded, they only had one waiter for the entire outdoor patio, so wait times were a bit longer than expected. However. The server was very knowledgeable and friendly when he was at the table so that definitely helped. Second is that the steak was cooked incorrectly at first. The waiter confirmed I asked for medium rare but it was brought out blue rare. He apologized and said it was a known issue with the ticketing system, which was a bit of a letdown they didn't take particular care to avoid this happening. The table next to me also had the same issue. He did get it cooked correctly and comped me a desert for the trouble so he did the best he could with a bad situation.

I give the chef my Huge complements! Everything from the salad to the steak and seasonal sides were Right on Point!!! The place was very good. It over exceeded my expectations. The French Onion Soup was amazing along with the Cesar Salad. The ribeye was cooked perfectly. Service was over the top and would recommend to everyone to try this amazing place.

I've enjoyed the Top Steakhouse restaurant for years, but my wife is relatively new to the whole experience. Our cocktails were delicious and the New York Strip steaks were served exactly as requested, and were seasoned perfectly. And, as always, the service was on point! After we wrapped up our meal last night, she commented in the car that she understood why I love the restaurant so much. Last night was a special occasion, but we won't be waiting until a special occasion to be back! It was a memorable evening!

Pistacia Vera is a charming cafe located in Columbus, Ohio, with a presence in the North Market. Founded by siblings Spencer Budros and Anne Fletcher, this German Village pastry kitchen offers an array of handmade pastries and sweets. Known for its delicate Parisian macarons available in twelve varieties, Pistacia Vera also bakes cookies, croissants, teacakes, eclairs, tarts, and more.
I genuinely think this is one of the best stops in Columbus. The staff is always super friendly and more than happy to answer any questions you may have. I also think they have some of the best coffee/latte options in the city. Their menu rotates seasonally, so you can always expect to never leave disappointed. My personal fall favorites are the maple butter latte or the pistachio latte. Both are creamy and delicious with the perfect sweet to bitter coffee ratio. If you’re looking for a light bite to eat, you can’t go wrong with the yogurt/granola bowl or the egg salad which is on the BEST croissant bun.

Great Coffee & Pastries, But Your Wallet Might Cry a Little Just popped into Pistacia Vera for a caffeine and pastry fix, and while I enjoyed it, my bank account gave me a stern look. It's definitely a "good, but expensive for what you get" kind of place. Let's talk lattes: The Pistachio Latte was good, no doubt, but honestly, it didn't quite hit the "$9 good" mark for me. Surprisingly, the Honey Butter Latte, at $1.50 less, was actually the standout – way better value and flavor. On the pastry front, they do a solid job. The Almond Croissant was absolutely fantastic, flaky and delicious. The eclair was good, and the lemon tart was just okay. So, a mixed bag, but some definite highlights. Look, I'd probably go back, especially for that honey butter latte and another almond croissant. However, be prepared for the price tag. My family dropped around $40 for a few coffees and pastries. Yikes! Definitely a spot for a treat, not an everyday habit.

My friend brought me here, and it was great! I am still thinking about the blueberry-lemon iced tea latte! If you like blueberry and lemon, I highly recommend getting that drink. I didn't even get a chance to take a picture of the drink before I devoured it. I did however get a picture of the cherry almond tart (when it was halfway eaten..sorry guys). It was delicious! I love cherry and almond—I have always wanted a dessert mixing the two because they have very compatible flavor profiles. This tasted great!

I stopped by Pistacia Vera and got their smoked salmon sandwich along with the strawberry matcha and honestly, this place never misses. The sandwich was fresh and flavorful, but the real standout was the strawberry matcha. It’s hands down my favorite spot for strawberry matcha no other place has come close so far. The balance of flavors is perfect every time, and the café itself has such a cozy, aesthetic vibe. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Columbus!

Great service. Pistachio iced latte was amazing, just wish they had bigger size options available. The macarons could have a little more filling in my opinion. The pistachio eclair was perfection. We had an absolutely stunning lunch at Columbus Fish Market. The flavours were outstanding and this is definitely a top ten Friday seafood experience after over 300 in a row. Chloe our server was amazing and we couldn’t thank her enough. Once again we paired lunch with a good New Zealand Sav Blanc. Way too much food but we gave it a red hot shot and there was very little left on the table at the end of lunch. We were offered take away boxes by Chloe but we were not about to be defeated by the sea. 🦐🍤🐟🐙🧜‍♂️

My wife and I chose this restaurant for our 11th anniversary, but it was a mistake from the start. We were given inconsistent menus, and discovered the crab rangoons we wanted were only available on the happy hour menu, which was only served at the bar. We had to move tables just to get a single appetizer. The food we did get was poor. My clam chowder was gritty and the calamari was unpleasantly chewy. We were also told the Linguine and Clams we ordered was no longer on the menu. To top it all off, the free crème brûlée they gave us was a melted, sugary mess. For a meal costing over $100, the food and service were completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Outstanding from start to finish! Convenient to make a reservation for 4 people online, and was even able to change the time a bit when we figured out we’d be running slightly late (drove up from Erie to see Wu-Tang @ Nationwide Arena). Our servers were kind and accommodating, answered all our questions, were prompt and had great attention to detail (refilling waters, clearing plates/silverware ect). All of our food was spectacular- cooked perfectly and insanely delicious (starters: ahi and crab cake, entrees steaks and chicken with some some sides) drink-wise I tried the cherry Old Fashioned (wow) and a glass of red wine- 10/10! Everything was just so good. Already planning to come back soon! Beautiful restaurant, clean, cool and comfortable- all around wonderful experience. Thank you!

My husband took me here to celebrate my 53rd birthday. I loved the service and the atmosphere but my meal left me a little disheartened. Don't get me wrong .. there were aspects of the meal that were amazing and then there was not. We started with their wedge salad and crab cake. The salad was amazing!! The hubby ate the crab cake because it was too dry for my liking. He ordered a filet and I got the New York strip. His steak was great .. mine not so much. The steak was a bit chewy and lacked flavor outside of the peppercorn sauce. The sides .. left me speechless. We had spinach gratin and lobster mac&cheese. There was also bread service with a variety of different breads. The staff was great!! They all worked together as a team and made sure that we had everything we needed. They wanted to replace my meal but I declined as I was getting full. I didn't want to have to take it home to enjoy it. They did treat us to dessert which was very kind of them and it was awesome!! We would go back ... it was worth the drive.

I started with the Caesar salad and crab cake, both were fresh and full of flavor. For my entrée, I had the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts, and everything was cooked to perfection. The steak was tender and absolutely delicious. Our waiter and waitress were both outstanding, attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Hyde Park truly knows how to make a dinner feel special. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience, and I’ll definitely be back for another celebration!

I want to give a huge shoutout to Molly, who is an amazing general manager— I mean she really makes her guests feel special and is so personable. I can see why her wait staff (Bitna and Paul) go above and beyond. Thank you to all of them for making our first experience a great one. We will definitely be back.

On 10/8/2025 we celebrated part of our anniversary by dining at Hyde downtown Columbus. This was the best meal I've ever had, and I've had a ton of them over the years at many varied restaurants here in Columbus and across the US, and some international travel too. At Hyde, we had the lobster bisque soup, ribeye steaks with bordelaise sauce, caesar salad, lobster mac and cheese, garlic whipped potatoes. We almost never do desserts, but our waiter insisted we try the Flaming Butter Cake and a dessert that I don't see on the menu which mimics S'mores, and we did try/eat both, they were unbelievably good. This meal/experience was expensive for sure, but well worth it to celebrate our anniversary. It was truly the best meal I've ever had. Service was top-notch. Atmosphere was great too.

We had the most pleasant experience here at Hyde Park in Downtown Columbus. Our server, Elijah, was phenomenal — his kindness and perfect service made our time as great as it was. I got the 12oz filet mignon, and my fiancée got the 14oz NY strip. The filet was the best quality, best tasting of any steakhouse I’ve been to. We ordered the rich, flavorful millionaire’s potatoes and the five-cheese macaroni & cheese as our sides. They were great and we had plenty left over to take home. Finally, we finished with the red velvet cake to share. The slice was MASSIVE and tasted out-of-this-world. We’re excited for the next time we visit Hyde Park!

J. Gilbert's Wood Fired Steaks & Seafood Columbus is a top-notch dining destination that offers a classic steakhouse experience with an extensive menu of sides and cocktails. Named after the renowned Kansas City restaurateur, Joe Gilbert, this establishment is committed to providing exceptional hospitality and serving honest, high-quality cuisine. Embracing a farm-to-table concept, they prioritize sourcing from local farmers and artisans whenever possible. The restaurant boasts a sophisticated ambiance with a beautiful dining room featuring a cozy fireplace.
We reserved a table for dinner at 8:30 on a Saturday evening. It was my best friend's birthday dinner. They had a birthday card, complimentary dessert and some cutesy confetti on the table. This was our first time and it was a very pleasant experience. The pineapple martini was delicious and subtle. The blackberry martini was fruity and upbeat. The cocktails are both beautifully crafted, and delicious. We agreed on the pineapple martini being the best. We shared a fried calamari appetizer and it was perfectly fried. The feta cheese was a delightful pairing with it. The entrees were the same (outside the likes of steak temp) and the reactions were too. Ecstatic. No steak sauce needed. We saved the butter from the glorious bread provided for our steaks, the smartest decision we made this year. A touch of salt and pepper, then it's a royal piece of meat. The Yukon potatoes were fluffy yet had tiny clumps. The asparagus seasoned nicely with a touch of tomatoes. Chefs kiss. For dessert I had the creme brulee which was so indulgent. It's light and fluffy to where it would be extremely easy to scrape the whole bowl clean in record time. She had the carrot cake slice. Which is ENORMOUS. The cake was the only left over piece of heaven from this restaurant. I am seriously anticipating my next visit.

5 stars all around. From the friendly hostess to the excellent wait staff to the incredibly delicious food, this place is a must. I made reservations for a friend's birthday and they went above ans beyond. Upon arriving to the table, a hand written card and birthday confetti awaited us. The mood and vibe of the restaurant was perfect and chill and relaxing. Great for celebrating a birthday with someone special. We got the maple salmon ans filet and crab cake. All were delicious and would get again. The Yukon gold mashed potatoes were creamy and tasty. The green beans were flavorful and recommended by our waiter and were a good choice. For dessert he chose the creme brule and didn't leave one drop. I had the lavender drop and it was the perfect combo of lightly tart and sweet. 100% Recommend and look forward to going again.

This place is amazing! The staff was great. The GM was so delightful and welcoming. Our waitress Danny was so helpful, warm and knowledgeable. My wife got the raw oysters on a half shell and the mixed seafood grill. It was probably the best food she ever tasted! I decided to try the 3 course meal. OH MY! I was not ready to have such a decadent meal! Start to finish it was amazing! I had the 14oz ribeye! It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The wood fire grill was so wonderful and tasty. I had asparagus as a side and I'm not joking when I say, I would go back just for the asparagus! Please give this place a try and tell them Gayle and Rich sent you.

We went to J Gilbert’s back in February for Valentine’s Day and were relatively unimpressed. However, we went back again for a birthday and the food was much better. This time, we got calamari, prime rib, and crème brûlée. The calamari had some great sauce, the prime rib was perfectly cooked if not a little underseasoned, and the crème brûlée was fantastic. While I was hesitant at my last visit with the filet, the prime rib was great. The biggest flaw this place has is that it’s a pretty large time commitment to go. We went right when they opened and we were there for two and a half hours, with the last forty five minutes of that spent just waiting on the bill. Great food, but you’ll need to carve out a large chunk of your evening for a meal here.

Staying in Worthington, this restaurant is a convenient choice near the hotels. The happy hour menu was an excellent option, given that I was looking to keep within my travel budget and try an assortment of items. The oysters were delicious, and the prime rib egg rolls were a hit. Plus, I had a glass of red wine and sparkling to kick off the dinner experience. My only advice, consider upgrading the wine list. Too many catch-all, generic wines you can find in your local grocery store. If I'm going out for dinner, I'd like to drink something I can't necessarily get when I I'm cooking at home. Embrace the steakhouse feel and explore some of the better, more prolific wines that people may not have heard of, but will because you introduced them to it.

I can sum it up pretty easily, disgusting. I had the unfortunate experience of eating at this slop house and it was not to the level that everyone I was with had hyped it up to. The wait staff I encountered was mostly rude and seemed unable to handle multiple people at the same time(I will cut some slack, it was a large party and I know that can be stressful, but really?! come on!). The bisque...meh. The WAGYU burger...sucked. Just because you use Wagyu in a name does not mean that it isn't a frozen patty cooked to a yummy grey color and served with the worlds coldest and hardest French fries. My daughters chicken was beyond dry and looked like it was getting the heat lamp treatment. Oh! And the real delight was when I didn't get a top bun and the waitress acted as if I were insane. There is truly nothing like getting overpriced food put together haphazardly yet charging astronomical prices at the same time. Please people of Columbus, stop being bougie and maybe put your money into better places that serve actual quality items. Leave the suburbs and widen your horizons. To the five star posts, hey glad you liked it but its a huge NO for me dog!

We made a reservation for 8 PM on Saturday to celebrate a special family occasion. Everything was nearly perfect — almost. We decided to take advantage of the Restaurant Week menu and try a bit of everything. I ordered the lobster bisque, filet mignon, asparagus, and truffle mashed potatoes, followed by the dessert that came with the set. My partner ordered the exact same thing. Everything was absolutely delicious — the food was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The bartenders were amazing — the cocktails were spot-on, and the service at the bar was truly excellent. Unfortunately, the only downside to the evening was the dessert. After finishing our meal, we waited around 20 minutes, but it never arrived. We asked to have it packed to-go instead, but after waiting another 10 minutes with no result, we simply left. If it weren’t for that disappointing ending, I would have gladly rated this place a 5. But since it was a meaningful and special evening for us, that oversight left a sour note.

This was a fabulous experience. I met 3 of my friends on Monday 10/27. I had the Blackberry passion fruit martini ( proceeds are donated to a breast cancer charity.) I had a French onion soup , 6 oz filet , poblano potatoes. Chocolate mousse for dessert. Our server Dwayne was tremendous. He was very attentive and made us laugh. I will definitely request him in the future. We will be back!

Lola & Giuseppe's Trattoria is a charming mom-and-pop eatery located in the Merion Village neighborhood, offering a delightful taste of Italy. The trattoria serves up traditional Italian favorites, including pasta and seafood entrees. It's known for its brunch that features Italian-style French toast, frittatas, and eggplant Parmesan sandwiches, providing a cozy and authentic dining experience reminiscent of Tuscany.
I took my love, soul mate, and soon to be wife here for her birthday. We traveled from Dayton to indulge in authentic Italian food. She loves and lives to eat this cuisine. She ordered the Gnocchi and I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and shrimp. Both dishes were hot, fresh and absolutely soul satisfying! Rhianna was our server and her attentiveness, friendliness, and personable service was top notch. This adorable, quaint place has won our hearts and future choice of dining!! It was a perfect ending to a beautiful weekend of celebrating the life of my lover.

I was so impressed with this little restaurant!! I heard about them through TikTok and the food did not disappoint. It’s a little place - definitely make a reservation. But they also have a little patio. You can tell this place cares about the details. The owner walks around, greets, helps, and is just a delight. Our waitress Chris was awesome, just overall great service. The food was phenomenal, possibly best Italian I’ve ever had. 100000% I’ll be back and recommend to anyone.

We came from Chillicothe Ohio we were an hour early and walked in and they told us they could seat us on the patio immediately or we could wait the hour to sit inside we choose the patio! It was quiet and decorated very nicely! Staff was beyond polite and easy to have conversations with! Our waitress was Hannah and she was such a delight! We tried the shrimp scampi special and it was beyond delicious and filling. We also got a cannoli and it was superb! Def recommend and will be making more visits soon!

My husband and I can't say enough good things about this place! It's smaller but cozy and still nice! Definitely a mom and pop restaurant which we liked! The Pasta Fritta appetizer was fantastic. The Ceasar Salad top tier. You could tell the dressing was homemade and fresh! For the main entrees we got the Guiseppe's Trio Platter and the Chicken Marsala. When I tell you, we ate until our stomachs almost exploded, we did lol! We didn't have room for dessert. Our waitress was great...I forget her name, maybe Bethany? And the manager or owner came back to ask how our experience was and he was super sweet. If you are looking for a great Italian spot to enjoy with your partner or friends, you will not go wrong visiting this restaurant! Make a reservation otherwise you likely won't get in...they are busy from open to close...and for good reason. We will be back!

They have limited hours, so check the site to make sure before you go. There is a parking lot but can be filled quickly (there are other businesses in the strip). We made a reservation, we had a party of 8, and I feel that would be the largest party they could accommodate inside. They may be able to do a 12 top outside. The restaurant itself is small, and the inside has 9 tables. The outside had 5 tables, and they are covered. We ordered drinks and wine, then a few appitizers. Bread does come to the table it is a garlic loaf. We got the Pasta Fritto, Bruschetta, Insalata Caprese, side salads, and onion soup. All were very good. The soup was a cream base, so it was not so salty. Our meals were Spaghetti and Meatball, Shrimp Scampi over Linguine, Lobster Ravioli, Giuseppe Baked Rigatoni, Chicken Marsala, Giuseppe Sampler. The meals take a little time to come out. Everything is made fresh. I would say a 20 min wait for the main course. The deserts were Bread Pudding and Amy's Rasberry Wedding Cake. Our server was very nice and answered questions about the menu.

Impeccable. I just moved to the area, my friends eat here weekly, and I see why. Easily some of the best Italian I’ve ever had, it was just amazing. I cannot wait to be back to try more of the menu. Everyone was so nice and service was great. Say hi to Steve!

Very small venue so you must have reservations. Music a bit loud for such a small place but the Italian music was appreciated. The bread was tasteless. The lasagne was not heavy we both ordered and it would have been enjoyed if it had not been served lukewarm instead of piping hot. The Tiramasu was just ok nothing special. My biggest complaint was that when I made my open table reservation I put down birthday celebration. I didn’t expect anything but a Happy Birthday to my husband. No excuse for ignoring the special occasion.

Basi Italia is a charming Italian restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, offering a cozy and casual dining experience with a seasonal menu featuring locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant's intimate setting and innovative twist on traditional Northern Italian dishes make it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. With an inviting patio and steaming plates of sumptuous food, Basi Italia provides a relaxed atmosphere where friends and neighbors can gather to enjoy good wine and conversation.
Such a gem! We booked a reservation and staff was excellent at keeping us up to date as our original reservation had a wait list. After a few days they let us know we could sit inside which worked for us. Parking could be difficult as there is mostly parallel on street parking nearby but they do have an option for valet which was about the same cost as parking anyways. Inside dining is a bit tight but it works as we were all comfortable at our table. We didn't go to the patio but next time we'd like to give that a try. The food was fantastic. I'm so glad we have an actual Italian restaurant to go to besides the big chains. I had the lamb which was amazing and cooked perfectly. Appetizers were great and so was the dessert. Take a look at some of the photos and start drueling! We will definitely be coming back!

Basi was by far one of the best recommendations we’ve ever gotten. From start to finish, everything we tried was incredible. We started with the grilled artichoke carpaccio, and honestly, we are still trying to find the words to describe how amazing it was. Just unforgettable. We also had the mussels, which were perfectly cooked and full of flavor, however, the broth could use more seasoning. For mains, the butter-poached cod was exactly that: buttery in the best way. Every bite was rich and delicious. We also had the NY Strip Steak, which was a menu special. We ordered it medium rare but it came out rare — but that made it even better. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the pepper on top had this sweet and salty balance that worked so well. Dessert was lemon ricotta gelato and cannolis, always a win. The only small downside was that the space felt a bit hot and loud, and the chairs weren’t the most comfortable, but the food was so good it didn’t really matter. We’ll definitely be back… mostly because we can’t stop thinking about that artichoke.

We had an awesome experience at Basi Italia! The atmosphere is truly so dreamy out on the patio, the service is really great and food comes out fast- their dishes are playful with truly fantastic flavors! I will say that I think if they were able to make their pasta fresh from scratch in house, that would definitely bring their pasta game to the next level- overall, a neighborhood gem! Wonderful evening! Its been 20 years, but Basi still exceeds all expectations. MJ provided fabulous service. The Parmesan brulee was decadent, though you will need more crostinis. The lamb and eggplant parm were amazing. The special was a pork chop. It was a bit dry, but the mashed potatoes with fennel made up for it. I highly recommend the sangria, especially paired with the patio and people watching. I will not wait another 20 years til my next visit.

What A great neighborhood restaurant with a beautiful covered patio space in the back. The complimentary bread service to start with was phenomenal. We shared five appetizers - mussels, artichoke carpaccio, zucchini, Parmesan brûlée, caesar salad - and they were all great. Everyone loved their pastas, while I went with the lamb chops which were cooked perfectly. I highly recommend Basi Italian!
Michael C — Google review
Delicious! The zucchini starter was our favorite part, definitely recommend that. The artichoke starter also looked delicious, will be trying that next time we go. The focaccia bread with truffle oil that they bring out is also amazing, so unique, unlike any focaccia I’ve ever had. For mains we got the shrimp risotto special (which was just okay), and the eggplant parmesan (which was good). The patio ambience was quaint and cozy.

With a national reputation and recognition from various prestigious sources, including the Food Network, OpenTable, Wine Spectator, USA Today, and Travel + Leisure, this steakhouse is celebrated for its attention to detail and commitment to providing an outstanding dining experience.
We had dinner here the evening before the first football game of the season, and it couldn't have been a better experience. The atmosphere was awesome - vibrant, upscale, and buzzing with energy - while the staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. We kicked things off with some great appetizers and drinks that set the tone for the night. The food? Absolutely a m a z i n g - truly top shelf. Every bite was perfection. And then came the spectacular desserts... we literally ate a shoe - and it was one of the best things we've ever had. If you're in Columbus and want an unforgettable dining experience, Jeff Ruby's delivers. Highly recommended for any occasion, whether it's a celebration, a game day kickoff, or just a night out to treat yourself.

Our first time at Jeff Ruby's, it was a delicious and elevated experience. Definitely one of the best quality steaks of my life. I ordered the steak Burrow which was blackened and they still managed to nail a perfect medium rare. The steaks were flavorful and tender. Sauces and sides were yummy and the service here is of the highest level, yet not overly stuffy. We enjoyed a cozy early Birthday dinner and we'll be back to celebrate other special occasions and explore the seafood options.

Well, we flew out to Ohio for a business meeting this past Monday Oct 6. We were guests, and walking into this place, it just was different. First, I felt underdressed jeans, t-shirt, all good though but we were there to try and feast. The food, service was incredible. Our waiter was incredible, on top of his game, awesome sense or humor, and super confident on anything he was going to bring us, a notable difference. We have had some great service before, from dedicated waitstaff, but this one left a mark, a good one. To our local friends here who brought us out, thank you. What an impressive, location that combines great food, service and atmosphere that is very unique and I mean that in a great, good sense, wow. For me, it’s abit pricey for some items like our Wagyu A5 Sirloin which we tried, they offer some of the rarest steaks. I have to tell you, it was soo good, 1st time in my life I’ve tried this and it was a treat, incredibly delicious and again 100% a treat. Thank you again to the staff there and our new friends. Cheers.

Jeff Ruby is one of the best steakhouses in the country. Every visit is uniformly great. Beautiful space, food is always top notch, our server tonight, Jordan was the best. We started with the complimentary bread with butter and an incredible truffle butter. Next, our party of four shared appetizers of crab cakes, oyster Rockefeller, and an A5 ribeye. All perfectly prepared. My son and I shared the 70 days aged Cowboy steak for our entrees and apple sorbet and the best crème brûlée in town. We highly recommend Jeff Ruby!

What an establishment! The ambiance of this place is equally as important as any dish or drink you'll enjoy. It simply exudes elegance on every level. At a place like this, every aspect needs to hit and the server added to the incredible experience. We put in all our food choices and it was brought out with perfect cadence as the dinner progressed. Perfection. Every dish was delicious. We started with the Bluefin Tuna Flight and crabcake. It was impeccable. Premier sashimi that justified the price. Even the bread and truffle butter were unbelievable. We then moved to steaks and lobster which were cooked perfectly. My only complaint is that that Bernaise sauce on top had started to congeal. For any special occasion, you cannot top Jeff Ruby's. It's the most elegant dinner I've had in Columbus and is worth all the accolades they have received over the years!

Everything from start to finish was fantastic! The atmosphere was great, there was a live pianist playing, the drinks were good, the food was top notch, and the service was exceptional. My father, who occasionally comes in to visit me from out of town, and I enjoy trying different fine dining restaurants together and we usually spend the whole evening at the places we go which sometimes clearly frustrates the staff. Our server, Patrick C., was attentive, kind, and helpful throughout our evening and we never felt rushed or like he was annoyed by us. His coworkers were great also. 10 out of 5 stars all around! Except..... Maybe putting a bathroom on the main floor instead of in the basement!

If you're looking for really awesome food and the Royal treatment, this place is for you! The pork belly is a must try! We had ribeyes and mashed potatoes. Both were awesome! We were just looking to unwind with some good wine and this was beside the hotel. Oh my. What a delight to walk into, especially not knowing about this place. We sat at the bar and enjoyed it so much. The wine list was quite impressive. We decided to get a nosh of the mussels with some extra bread. I think this place may not know how to not go over the top. That mushroom truffle butter! 😍 And then we had such a fantastic time with the staff. They were delightful. Olivia and the J’s. One even took some time to write out a list of must do’s in Columbus and other places to not miss.

Changes the menu everyday?! This quaint but very pleasing restaurant offered us a nice breakfast this morning. Wondering how well they do on a daily basis, I was impressed with my biscuits and gravy and the French toast. The French toast was plentiful big and fluffy paired with a whipped butter and maple syrup. The biscuits were just as big in size and I'm glad I settled with only one instead of two! The chicken gravy was so flavorful and had a beautiful color. Seriously delicious. All of it! The cinnamon roll coffee was not to sweet but also not over bearing in coffee or espresso taste, just executed nicely. I love I got to see them purchasing local, they have an Amish van pull up front with a delivery of their fresh quality ingredients like eggs and bread! I have to return soon to try more dishes, I'm impressed.

Fantastic food and service! The French toast was easily some of the best I’ve ever had—thick, fluffy, and perfectly sweet. The cinnamon roll latte was also delicious, though a bit on the pricey side for the portion size, which is the only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5. That said, I’d absolutely recommend this place and would love to come back!

I’m going to have to add on to the recent reviews. Skillet has been a wonderful place to visit since I moved to Columbus. The food is top notch. Pricey, yes. But it was a splurge I figured was worth it. Recently, it’s a serve yourself setup. My omelette comes in a cardboard food truck container that completely takes away from the experience. Before, it was plated nice, perfectly folded over omelette with micro greens on top. Now? It’s just thrown into a to go container. Serve yourself water is the same size as Dixie cups you use for mouthwash. And a $8 coffee which is the cinnamon roll latte (usually to die for) is served in a GFS paper cup now. Not sure we will be going back based on these new changes. Hopefully this feedback finds its way to create change again.

We have been going to this restaurant for a few years and it has always been a favorite. Food has always been great, prices were reasonable and the service was always good. Today, we walked in to a different restaurant - no one greeted us at the door like they used to, just stand in the doorway waiting for a seat. If it was crowded, we would have left. No one serves you, you have to order on your phone and pay the same way. I would understand if the prices were lowered to reflect the decrease in service, but they don't seem to have changed. Fewer seats, no ambiance and miserable service. Our food came out quickly but our drinks didn't come out till we were halfway through our meals. The guy who makes the drinks also has to direct people coming in and that detracted from his efficiency. Very disappointed in the changes and we WILL NOT be coming back. If I want to serve myself, I'll stay home and save the money

We just ate at Skillet for the first time and loved it! Owner is super nice, and the restaurant is small, intimate and charming. Coffees are super good (Cinnamon Bun Latte - hot, Cold Brew with Maple honey to sweeten). My wife and I both ordered the Pimento Omelet, and it was very delicious; our daughter had the Cheesy Hashbrowns - also very delicious. I must comment that the plates of other food coming out of the kitchen looked soooo delicious! Will definitely be back here MUCH more. 😃👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We have made a decision not to go back. They've made shocking changes to the dining experience that doesn't work for us. Gone are the stylish dinner plates, amazing unique pottery coffee cups, condiments, complimentary water, and most of the wait staff. Expect to pay for tap water, condiment style hot sauce, and for each cup of coffee (no refills). 100% point of sale service and 100% paper plates, coffee cups, and plastic utensils. Orders must be placed by mobile device (QR Code) or via a single kiosk. Payment is tediouly typed in including all your card digits, expiration date, security code, first and last name, email, and phone number, and tip before your order can be placed. Today I placed about a $50 order for 2 but when the food came, I realized I had forgotten the hot sauce. I was informed I had to pay for it. So, again, I scanned the QR code, payment, phone number etc. all over again. I've been to Skillet many, many times, and had always recommended it to friends and tourists. The food is still awesome, the coffee excellent, and their homemade hot sauce is fantastic. If you're willing to adjust to the new payment system, minimal staff engagement, using paper products, clearing your own table like a fast food restaurant, for a once elevated dining experience, you won't be disappointed.

My family three did not get to eat here because there were no open seats. The place is very small. They may have about 10 tables that sit 2 people It is a first-come-first-serve, wait at the door. The only host service is a sign just inside the door that says to seat yourself. When we arrived, all tables were booked and it look like most people were waiting still for their food, which is not a good sign for people waiting outside. The menu looks good, but the space is very limited.

They change the menu a lot so sometimes it’s better than others. - there are 5 tables in the building and you can’t reserve any. And there’s no waiting list even if you show up you just have to wait outside the front door and fight for a table. - there aren’t any service employees, they actually don’t want you talking to them or interacting with them at all, no servers, no host. - you have to pay for water - can’t really ask questions about the food as you order on your phone and can’t make any modifications. - no espresso just 9 dollar drip coffees with sugar - they basically were like we want a restaurant but don’t want to be open (only open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until 2.) we also don’t want to have human interactions, they don’t even want to bring you the food you have to order on your phone then pick up from a table, they don’t want to have dishes to do. Everything is paper and plastic.

American restaurant
Fine dining restaurant
The Avenue Steak Tavern, a classic American steakhouse with locations in historic Dublin and Grandview Heights, offers a cozy ambiance with wood accents and dim lighting. The menu boasts traditional steakhouse fare such as filet mignon, twin filets, top sirloin, New York strip, seafood, chicken, veal, and pork chops. In addition to its delectable brunch options, the restaurant is known for its dry-aged steaks and extensive wine selection.
My recent visit to The Avenue was nothing short of incredible, and I can confidently say that Ryan and the rest of the team absolutely knocked it out of the park! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the stage for what turned out to be a flawless dining experience. Let’s start with the food—every dish was expertly prepared, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. Whether it was the appetizers or the main course, each bite was a testament to the skill and passion of the chefs. The ingredients were fresh, the portions generous, and the creativity in the menu was truly impressive. As for the drinks, they were just as outstanding. The cocktails were expertly crafted, with a perfect balance of flavors that complemented the meal wonderfully. The wine selection was also top-notch, offering great pairings for every course. But what really made the experience unforgettable was the service. Ryan himself was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. His enthusiasm and dedication elevated the entire meal. In short, this place is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates great food, exceptional drinks, and outstanding service. I can’t recommend it enough—10/10 in every way!

Yes: The Avenue lands in the top spot for Best Overall Dining Experience & Steakhouse east of the Mississippi. There’s a reason some places are staples of the community and the entire state… the kind of place that provides proud service, highest of chefs effort, with impeccable plating. The location presents one of the highest-end, yet comfortable environments you’ll experience.. Make reservations, and go ready to try the green beans appetizer! There’s about 25-30 beans on the plate, and that’s enough for a table of 6.. had to know the count! Kids menu gets an up-charge of abt ten dollars but the portions are just right for the kids, so stick to it. The adult meals are fabulous, fantastic, fresh, fine dining! Could cut both sides of the porterhouse with a fork. No more rambling on, end score is- go here once, and you’ll make it a tradition!

We dined here for our 6 year anniversary dinner and could not have been happier with our choice. We were seated 15 minutes early for our 7pm reservation, and promptly given water. Our server Chandler was great. He took the time to explain the menu, specials and make recommendations for drinks. Throughout the evening he was very attentive and available, at the end of our meal he even boxed my leftovers and gave us a free dessert! I was more than impressed with the food. The rolls were soft and pillowy on the inside, but had a wonderfully crisp crust with just the right amount of salt. The tavern salad was truly refreshing too. The greens were crisp and fresh, the slightly sweet vinaigrette was perfectly mixed and the gorgonzola cheese was a fantastic compliment to it all. The beef stroganoff was absolutely divine. The sauce was one of the best I have ever had! The noodles were perfectly cooked and thick, there was plenty of tender beef and a generous amount of mushrooms. I came hungry and could only eat half of it too! I would order this over and over again! My fiancé ordered the porterhouse with asparagus and a side of scallops. He raved about the scallops all night! He said they were the best he has had, even better than a seafood restaurants'. He enjoyed his steak as well, which was cooked just to his liking and seasoned nicely. He almost started chewing the bone to get the last bits of meat off! He said the asparagus had a light lemon and salt flavor. To finish the meal we chose the crème brûlée. The crust was thick, the custard rich and the whole thing quite addictive. I would order it again for sure. Our meal, which had 2 cocktails too, came out to under $200 even with a 25% tip. We think it was certainty worth the price for the attentiveness of the staff and quality and flavors of the food we received. We are looking forward to coming back!

From the start before he was even our waiter Yusra was kind enough to make sure someone had helped us then we got seated in his section and couldn't have been happier. He was so attentive and kind to our little boy too. The filet mignon was excellent and the cheeseburger good as well. Overall we loved this restaurant and our server and if we lived closer we would be back more often!

Wedding Anniversary Dinner! Salads & Rolls were Great & the mixed Drinks are Strong! Porterhouse Steak was ordered at Medium & it was more Medium Rare. But it was seasoned, juicy, tender & super yummy! Lamb Chops were ordered at Medium. They are 4, but come out as double Chops. When I cut them apart, they were RAW from top to bottom. Fat not rendered out. Completely inedible. Sent them back. This mishap made it so that hubby & I couldn't eat together, which is what you hope to do for an Expensive night out! They put my Chops in pan, raw side down, but Didn't bother to Season the raw meat. No caramelization was achieved & sadly it was not tasty until I doused them Wth Salt & Pepper from table. At $57.99 for this meal, I'd be sure to tell them to be properly cook them together or separate & season both sides! Or season on raw side & hot pan sear! We Love Cameron Mitchell restaurants & will eventually try them all. Our waiter, Luke is attractive & intelligent! Kind, courteous & attentive! He said the Desserts are handmade by a pastry chef. They were good. But Any Creme Brulee pleases my hubby. For me, the cheesecake lacked flavor, body & density, like you expect from a NY Cheesecake. Sour Cherry topping paired well with the cheesecake. Music is eclectic. Amy Winehouse, Lionel Richey, Louis Armstrong, Big Band & Italian songs.

The best steak dinner I’ve had in Columbus. The steak was seasoned perfectly, the Cajun butter was perfect. The tomato bisque soup was terrific. The wait staff was very efficient and attentive. The rolls were great. Will be be soon.

We took our adult children and spouses to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. We found every aspect of our experience top notch! Our party of eight received excellent service from our waiter, Thor. I ordered the sautéed branzino. Our guests enjoyed filet mignon, salmon, linguine with clams, a reuben and crispy chicken sandwiches. Both the Caesar and Tavern salads are fresh and delicious choices. The finale was a special birthday choice of desserts. I selected banana bread pudding with vanilla bean ice cream. Our guests shared with spouses and I shared with mu hubby...yummy! We were very pleased and will definitely return.

My steak had little taste. Wife's had to be redone 4 times for a medium rare (which they comp'd). Salads were tasty. Service was great. Sides were ordinary. Look, at these prices they need to do better. Columbus has better, and with better parking solutions.

Located at 679 W Spring St, The Boat House is a top American dining spot offering stunning views of Columbus where the Olentangy River meets the Scioto River. The restaurant provides upscale dining with aged steaks and fresh seafood, along with Happy Hour specials and a 3-course Prix Fixe menu. With its incredible panorama of downtown Columbus, this venue offers a visual treat for diners. The diverse and delicious menu celebrates the ocean's bounty.
We visited for my daughter’s birthday, and the experience was wonderful! The view of the skyline across the river, surrounded by lush trees, is stunning—a perfect blend of nature and city. Our server Rama was very friendly and always smiling, and the owner personally checked in to ensure we enjoyed everything. It’s a lively, bustling spot, especially on Wednesdays, but the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

Attended the Asian American Commerce Groups Economic Summit 2025. Waiters were very friendly and helpful. Good attitudes. Lunch was great. Comfortable chairs, clean tables. Exhibit room had a lovely view of the river. Main dining room also had a great view of the river (with great shades to keep the sun out on a bright day). Cocktail area was elegant. Only comment for improvement: Some areas of the facility are looking worn, especially the board walk between the building and parking lot.

We have been talking about coming here for a while and we just happened to luck out with absolutely beautiful weather for the outdoor seating. I want to start by saying the view is absolutely amazing and it elevates the experience for more than if this was just a regular restaurant. However, all of the food and drinks were so good and so delicious. The spicy tuna appetizer was so fresh and paired so well with my dirty martini. The caviar twice baked potato was absolutely decadent and the chicken with my wedge salad was juicy and flavorful, almost had a Mediterranean flavor to it. Our server Juan, was attentive and made great recommendations. He was very busy, but he made sure to check in on us and make sure we were having a great experience. We will definitely be coming back.

I had an AMAZING dining experience with my mom and friend!! David was a delight ! Knowledgeable, kind, attentive and had great recommendations for food and drinks! I tried Popcorn Chicken for an app. I loved it because the presentation was super creative!! Shrimp & Gritz was delicious and seasoned to perfection! The 14oz Ribeye was cooked to my preferred temp of a perfect medium paired with a loaded baked potato !! The bacon on the potato was thick cut and the cream sauce was super flavorful!! The drinks were all great but my personal favorite was the watermelon and mint margarita!

Enjoyed the location. Server was fun. Asked for steak to be well done (yes I know, but my wife will only eat it that way) and it came out medium to medium well. Ordered a wedge salad as an appetizer but it did not come out. Had to ask for it after main course was already delivered. Roasted chicken meal was delicious. Mixed drinks very good as well. Food took a long time to come out however kitchen staffing challenges are understandable.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Boathouse, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, the beautiful bar set the perfect tone for the evening. The ambiance is both inviting and elegant, making it an ideal spot for any occasion. Now, let’s talk about the drinks – they were absolutely spectacular! Each sip was a delightful adventure, showcasing the creativity and skill of the bartenders. I’m already looking forward to trying more of their cocktail offerings on my next visit. The culinary highlight of my evening was undoubtedly the shrimp and grits. It was jaw-droppingly good! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was stunning. I could have eaten it all over again! To top off this amazing experience, I was fortunate enough to watch deer, Canadian geese, and even a bald eagle from my table. The natural scenery around the Boathouse adds a unique charm that enhances the dining experience. I can only imagine how spectacular this place will be for watching fireworks on July 4th. It’s a shame I won’t be in town, but I’ll definitely be back soon to explore more of the menu. If you haven’t been to The Boathouse yet, do yourself a favor and make a reservation – you won’t regret it!

Our server was David and he was incredibly helpful! Super attentive and able to answer all our questions!! Romero was not even our server, but happened by as we were in need of a cameraman and jumped to our aide! What an incredible team!!! The shrimp and grits was the best I’ve had this side of the Mason-Dixon line and the horseradish sauce with the prime rib was so good I could have eaten it off a flip flop! 10/10 would definitely come here again!! Honestly, would come back for the view alone😉

Long review! We attended the Friends & Family opening and sampled three apps, one entrée and side each, plus two drinks each. The place was packed, but the staff handled it well. We were told the kitchen’s gas lines went down, which explained the longer food wait, but the director personally came by to explain and apologize. It was very professional and appreciated! First impressions: definitely do not judge a book by its cover but the parking lot and outdoor landscaping (including the waterfall/patio area) could use some major updates to match the updated interior. I imagine this is likely in their plans. That said, the city views from inside are stunning! The bathrooms were very clean as well as the restaurant. The staff were super friendly — we were seated quickly, and our server Emma was amazing. She was bubbly, attentive, and gave great recommendations. Food highlights: • Calamari: crispy and not chewy, with a delicious spicy sauce — and I normally don’t even like calamari! As a texture person, it was much better than most calamari I’ve had. • Crab cake: good flavor from the corn and peppers, but could use more crab. • Spicy tuna: great flavor on the tuna, though the rice was a bit overcooked. It was a hard crunchy and hot stuck in your teeth. Hoping this was a one time thing as this is what I was most excited to try from the apps. Not sure if the kitchen issues attributed to this as well. • Sea bass entrée: tender with a sweet-spicy chili drizzle. broccoli and rice were okay. • 50/50 mashed potatoes: SO good — creamy cheesy mashed potatoes with crispy potato bits on top. • Shrimp & grits: rich, savory, and slightly spicy with a cornbread-like texture. • Brussels sprouts: perfectly balanced. not overly sweet like some places. 10/10! Drinks were a hit and had really fun names: • One in a Melon: watermelon margarita, light and refreshing with tons of mint leaves. • The Ghost: mango margarita with chamoy. our friend loved it but I didn’t sample. It came in a super cute cup though! (Pictured) • The Toasted: creamy coconut margarita, like a lighter piña colada. • The Wilson: their spin on an old fashioned. My partner ordered 2 he liked it so much. I don’t usually like bourbon, but I loved this. Smooth, slightly sweet, and well-balanced. It didn’t have the sharp aftertaste. Probably the only place I’ve been so far where I would order an old fashioned for myself. The whole night showed how much potential this place has. Once the outdoor area is updated, it’ll be even better. Can’t wait to come back and also look into potential events here!

Harvest Pizzeria Bexley is a vibrant and modern restaurant known for serving the best pizza in town. They use farm-fresh ingredients to create both the bases and toppings for their pizzas. The menu offers a variety of small plates, but the main event is their famous pizza. Guests can get creative with a lengthy menu that allows them to choose their perfect pizza combinations, from sauce and cheese to meat and vegetable toppings.
We stopped here for drinks. We sat at the bar which overlooks a lovely outside seating area. The atmosphere is charming, clean and friendly. We had some delicious specialty drinks. The menu looks amazing and I can't wait to go back and eat. The wait staff was fun and attentive.

Love this place and the location. The pizza was delicious and is a favorite in our household. The salmon sandwich is really good, so do not be afraid to try it. There’s a lot of bread for a small piece of fish, so cut that bun in half. Totally would recommend the lemonade as well. Enjoy!

Artisan pizza in the heart of Bexley. We scored an outdoor seat on a beautiful Friday evening around 6pm. We got the Double Bacon Three cheese pizza. With the notes of spicy honey lingering at the end it was cheesy and a very light delight. Not hard to eat a pizza to yourself here. It is some of the best I have had here in Columbus and I see why it's $20+ for a personal pizza. Little burnt on the crust in my opinion but it was overall good. Our server, Millie was kind and provided prompt service. I'll be back to try more variations!

Really great flavors on the two pizzas we ordered. It is... An investment, but seemed on par with other eating establishments in Bexley area. My friend enjoyed the beer selection. The crust was great and the flavors were thought through. One was the, um, Marconi? It has a bite, but the other pizza we got was the quattro formaggi (?) and it was rich she smooth and buttery. They were both delicious for difference reasons. We actually sat at the bar and and bartender was very attentive to our needs. It was busy there on a Friday night, but I felt our order came more quickly than I expected. A great experience in a great area of Columbus.

I ordered lunch from Harvest Pizzeria in Bexley a few days ago. A coworker suggested the vegan pepperoni and peppers pizza (add vegan sausage) because I gave up pork almost a year and a half ago. Let me say, it was worth every bite! I ordered carryout. The staff was so pleasant and hospitable. It's just the welcome you want to receive when patronizing an establishment. My pizza was hot and ready when I arrived. You cannot tell this is vegan! This pizza is a great balance between not missing the meat taste and not tasting plant-based, if that makes sense. It had great flavor and I wish I'd ordered the dinner portion for leftovers later on. The only reason I gave the atmosphere 4 stars is because I didn't sit down to eat my meal to get the full feel of the atmosphere, but I loved the carryout experience! I'm definitely going back!

If you're looking for a place to get weird and crazy, Bossy Girl's Pin Up Joint is the perfect spot. With burlesque shows, karaoke, and other fun events happening constantly, there's always something new to explore here. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, so you'll never have a bad time. Plus, the unique decor and atmosphere make it one of the coolest bars around.
Bossy Grrls is so fun and has great specialty cocktails. They also pour a decent amount of alcohol per drink, which is great. It is a very safe space, the kind of place that I feel comfortable letting my girlfriends go up to the bar or to the bathroom alone, even when they're drunk. They have a cover charge for performances, but it's always well worth it. It is small, so be prepared to squish in during busy times. Also, do yourself a favor and take the bus instead of trying to find parking.

I was so excited to attend my first drag show and the few performers we got to see were amazing! However; after paying ($10/person cover charge and drinks plus tip (30%+ on tip) the bartender told us we had to move or leave because it was “in violation of fire code” where we were. It was fine until more people came in and there was literally nowhere for us to go. The bartender even apologized and basically told us to leave so she could serve other people. I thought it was and inviting friendly bar with bossy girls (we all are) not rude and I’ll take your money be uncomfortable blocking other people or suck it up and leave bar.
JENNIFER C — Google review
Me and my friends were walking down the street towards space bar when we heard “free drag show! Free drag show!” Outside of this place. So we were like hell yeah!!! And walked in. Upon walking in, the music stopped and the host on the mic goes “did you pay to get in here? Oh no no no. You need to pay. Everyone in here paid and you do to, sorry.” Seemed to be some sort of miscommunication or even beef between the person outside and the host inside. Embarrassed the hell out of us. We left promptly and are NEVERRR returning. ◡̈ ◡̈
Jenna M — Google review
*** UPDATE BECAUSE THEY RESPONDED TO MY FRIEND AND ARE LYING* It was not a joke or else we wouldn’t have been pointed to go out the door. Also when we were outside I called the worker out and they did not say it was a joke they just said sorry. AND THEN the host still on the microphone said to the door worker the SAME THING “make sure you’re charging everyone a cover”. I’m really annoyed by the response. If it was a joke it would’ve been addressed while I was going off about how embarrassing it was TO THEIR FACE! REVIEW: Friends and I were walking past this establishment when a worker standing at the door said “free drag show” and we said oh really, awesome, let’s go! Even though we weren’t planning on stopping in we decided why not?! Well as soon as we got in, a performer or host got right in my friends face with a microphone announcing to the whole bar that we need to pay a $10 cover and essentially who do we think we are just walking in thinking it’s free. They went on a whole rant on the mic asking the audience to raise their hand if they paid a cover and that they don’t work for free. This was so embarrassing, hostile and unnecessary. It was incredibly overwhelming especially that it was put on blast to the whole bar it would be one thing if a worker who is not holding a mic with a spotlight on them were to ask us to pay but nope. Also the person standing outside said it was free and thats the whole thing that had us stop in! So their communication error put us in a really uncomfortable situation. We left and went to a nearby bar and ran into someone that said they had also just left there and that she was grabbed really hard by a worker and left when she saw what happened to us. This kind of hostile environment is the exact opposite of what the lgbt community needs right now. TLDR; come here if you want to get harassed in front of the whole bar for no reason.

I was visiting from out of town for a conference and my friend and I came for dinner. The manager, Gabe was very warm and inviting to us. We ordered the chicken and avocado sandwich and Pimiento burger w/sweet potato fries. Gabe even let us try the the Northstar burger since it was our first time there! The food was simply delicious & the house ginger ale is amazing!!! Beautiful, comfortable ambiance. We didn’t have drinks other than the house ale, but they have a full bar with wine and cocktails that looks well stocked! A must try! 👍🏽😍

Ok, I got a cheeseburger which was very good. The atmosphere was fine, we had a large party of 9 which really didn’t work that well. You set yourself, you get your drinks yourself, you don’t refer and pay at the register. Ask for napkins they said it came with the silverware and that’s all you get. We had to use multiple extra sets of silverware. They only have sweet potato fries which I didn’t care for at all. The staff wasn’t rude, but they weren’t friendly either. When you paid you selected a tip amount even though you just stood in line to order and you really don’t have help except to remove dishes. I am normally a strong 20-25% tipper, with service, but the minimum was 15% and that was way too much for this place. Won’t be back, there are better options available.

In town visiting for work and came across the Northstar Cafe. Quick service - even with a number of customers arriving at the same time. My order was taken promptly, and some personal recommendations provided by the server. Seated outside, great atmosphere both inside and outside. Ended up with the chicken and avocado sandwich which was delicious. For a drink I had the shooting star. When traveling for work I try to find any opportunity to maximize healthy options. Really great meal, friendly staff and good atmosphere.

Great for breakfast and lunch. The avocado chicken sandwich is great with a finely toasted bun. Nice outdoor sitting area with heaters, which make sitting outside blissful. Very clean inside and outside. The staff are particularly careful about cleanliness of mugs and silverware. We saw them checking and changing three mugs before handing us one that did not have any spots on it. They are also careful to not touch inside the mugs. And the best of all, we noticed some items in the menu and ingredients staff use are organic. What better than having organic food at reasonable price. This place left a good memory of Columbus for us. I wish them a booming business for their quality work and service.

Absolutely amazing establishment. All staff was friendly and helpful. I had a few questions on ingredients and they were able to explain everything as I needed! The shooting star drink is OUT OF THIS WORLD, DELICIOUS. The fish sandwich was fresh and warm! The northstar burger was one of the best restaurant vegetarian burgers I’ve ever had. So full of flavor! The kale slaw on top was absolutely delicious! Beverages are self serve!

Cute clean restaurant. We stopped for breakfast. You order food at the counter, cafe style. They bring your food to you. Perfect mimosa’s. Freshly juiced carrots. Came here for Sunday morning brunch. It was a fantastic spot. Ordering was a little different than most places as you get in line to order your food, then find a table for yourself, and the servers bring out your food once it’s ready. I had the sweet potato and turkey hash, oats all the way, and draft kombucha. Everything was very tasty and delicious. The place has a nice atmosphere with the large windows and sunlight shining in. Friendly and warm staff. Lots of parking with side streets and parking garage right next to the cafe.

I recently dined at Marcella's and had a rather mixed experience. The ambiance was quite dark, and the restaurant felt overcrowded and loud. The tables are set so close together that it was nearly impossible to have a private conversation, especially on a busy Saturday night. While I understand that this setup may be profit-driven, from a diner's perspective, it felt like we were dining with a group of strangers. Additionally, the table we were assigned was small and wobbly, making me anxious about spilling my cocktail. To make matters worse, we discovered dirty appetizer plates at our table when we first arrived. Regarding the food, the cocktails felt watered down and tasted more like mocktails. However, the melted Pecorino cheese appetizer was delightful. For our entrées, we enjoyed the fettuccine & meatball and the braised beef tortellini. The meatball was sizable, tender, and flavorful, although the tomato sauce overpowered the Alfredo sauce, creating an unbalanced but interesting dish. The braised beef tortellini were tasty but disappointingly small in portion size compared to the fettuccine & meatball. The cheesecake we had for dessert was enjoyable. The service was satisfactory, considering the overcrowded setting. The staff did their best under the circumstances, but the overall experience was affected by the tight seating arrangement and lack of personal space. With so many excellent dining options in the Short North area, I would likely choose a different venue for a date night. The close table setup at Marcella's might not be ideal for those seeking a more private and comfortable dining experience.

Our favorite restaurant in Columbus! The interior is absolutely gorgeous! We celebrated with a group of 6 on Friday, and returned again Saturday! The drinks are very tasty - highly recommend both Sangrias, red and white. The mushroom ravioli was outstanding! Our guests enjoyed the ribeye and wild boar pasta, commenting how delicious both were. Waiters were very attentive and polite. Highly recommend!

Absolutely great service, delicious food and great atmosphere. In all my dining experiences I have never been asked by my server if I have any food allergies. Our waitress asked if we had any food allergies and the culinary team made sure that my food was prepared and handled and marked separately to ensure it didn’t not cross with any other foods that would cause me to have an allergic reaction. This place gives you the absolute best customer service.

Fantastic Italian restaurant that was perfect for our dinner! I am celiac so I let our serving know and she was very attentive to providing recommendations! The gluten free penne pasta is one of the best I’ve had!

The Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant chain that offers an interactive dining experience with heated pots of cheese, chocolate, or broth for dipping and cooking. The menu includes a variety of cheese combos and accompaniments like meat and crackers for the cheese fondue, as well as dessert options such as chocolate fondue with choices like smores and bananas foster. The restaurant has stylish flair, inviting decorations, pleasant service, and offers vegan options along with a selection of beers.
Our experience at The Melting Pot was absolutely unforgettable! We chose this restaurant to celebrate our gender reveal, and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make the evening special. Crystal, our server, was absolutely amazing—attentive, friendly, and so enthusiastic about making the night perfect for us. Her fantastic manager was equally wonderful, ensuring every detail of our celebration was flawless. The ambiance was warm and intimate, the food was delicious (especially the cheese and chocolate fondue!), and the personalized touches for our gender reveal were so thoughtful. The team worked with us to incorporate the reveal into the meal in a creative and exciting way, making the moment truly magical. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such an important milestone. Thank you, Crystal, and the whole Melting Pot team, for making this an experience we’ll never forget!

Rico was our server, and he was AMAZING!! My friend and I have never been there before and did not know what to expect. He was very patient with us and helped walk us through the whole experience. Normally, it says for two people it would be a 2-hour experience, but because we got there right when it opened, and probably simply because he is amazing, we were there for 3 hours and he helped us through the entire experience and made it extremely enjoyable. I have never tipped a server as much as I did him. But he was worth every penny (and dollar obviously) 😁 The food was divine! I wanted to try someplace new and also to be able to try some new foods. I am extremely picky, and I still managed to find some foods that were absolutely exquisite. All of the people who worked there and whom I encountered in between were so wonderful and helpful. The hostess was even very helpful for my friend who had a very difficult time walking down the steps, and let us know that there is an elevator available, so we were able to take that back up when we were done. So all in all, this was an absolutely wonderful afternoon! And because neither one of us eat very much in one sitting, we had plenty to be able to take back home which will probably last me for the rest of the month! And yes, they let you take home what was in the fondue pot as well! I cannot gush and awe enough over this place!!

Favorite restaurant in Columbus. Amazing diversity of delicious food options. Attentive and outstanding service. Recently visited for our 20th wedding anniversary and the options for special service (rose petals scattered on the table, in our case) was a particularly nice option that my wife loved.

We do not live near a Melting Pot, but when we are close to one…we have to go. We loved it. Our waitress was on her second day on the job and she was wonderful. I think her name was Emily. She was pleasant and seemed to care about her job. Justin was great too. Let’s not forget the delicious food. Tonight was the first time we decided to grill our food, a nice change. Thanks for a great night.
Beth C — Google review
This was my first time, we got the 4c meal and the experience was okay. Food, except salad was fresh and delicious, however, the service was not attentive at all. After serving the entrees, the server disappeared for like half n hour! I had to get up and ask for our server so I can get some dessert! In a pricey restaurant like this, such lax attitude with service was frustrating. We sat almost an hour more than what we should have because we didn't have our sauces or even water. I would definitely try the melting pot again but not this location. Zach, the manager there was attentive but the waitress there never once asked me if I need water or anything! She would come with food, leave it on the table and then disappear for 20-30 mins. Please understand, first timers need to be told on how to order and how to make food in the pot, the complacency of the service, ineptness of the waitress and the weird uncomfortable seats ruined the experience for me.

If you're in the mood for a delightful Italian dining experience, look no further than Spaghetti Warehouse. This casual eatery is perfect for families and offers a menu brimming with mouthwatering pasta dishes at wallet-friendly prices. Whether you want to enjoy your meal in-house or prefer the convenience of delivery through platforms like DoorDash and Grubhub, Spaghetti Warehouse has got you covered.
We loved the old Spaghetti Warehouse in Columbus...so many great memories! It is really heartwarming that these memories can continue on with the new location. Food was still solid (and a lot of it for a reasonable price) and atmosphere, while not at the level of the vast, dark, and slightly tatty old place, was still a lot of fun. Yeah, there was no trolley to sit in, but booths have been designed to look like a train car, and the main floor, with the great views of Columbus Commons (this would be THE place to watch a concert in comfort) had an industrial vibe and a smattering of the old junk that filled the original. But it was the service that put it above and beyond. Our server, Jordan, a veteran of the old location, was phenomenal, probably one of the top best servers I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with in my life. My wife and I were there for our anniversary (we had had many dates to the original Warehouse) and Jordan genuinely made it special. Not only that, she had so many great ideas and stories regarding the location, and she accommodated our special dietary situation. I cannot emphasize enough what an incredible server she was (and I am honestly no relation!) Go support a local institution, stuff yourself on carbs, make sure and be generous in your tipping, and relive a slice of the good, old Spaghetti Warehouse. A fun and memorable night out.

This is their new smaller location downtown, many pics are from the previous huge warehouse. Had the spaghetti with meatballs, it was good. The wedding soup outshined the dish though. You can park about a block away at 55 E Rich St to have your parking validated at the restaurant.
Anh P — Google review
The food here was amazing. Best wedding soup I've had in a long time. My son said his Italian burger was great and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her Alfredo and ate all of it. I thought the lasagna was delicious and generously portioned. As deserts we had the chocolate cheesecake, red velvet cake and vanilla ice cream. All of which were excellent. I would definitely go back!

A+++ It’s been many years since I’ve visited Spaghetti Warehouse, and their new location (since 2023) on South High is updated, modern, and has an elevated atmosphere over the old “warehouse” location from back in the day. Parking is fairly easy with pay parking very close by, or garage parking, which is free to patrons (once validated). During their rush times or weekends, you might have to utilize meters or the garage located off Rich Street. 15-layer lasagna w/parm is AMAZING—fresh, tender, and incredibly delicious. Their blood orange margaritas are phenomenal! Everything was perfect, including our waitress. Thanks Spaghetti Warehouse 👍🏻

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Very misleading photos - the train car is NOT there (my kids were extremely disappointed) and the food was gross. They brought out cold chicken and everything was bland. Honestly you're better off getting something from the grocery store frozen section and heating it up. Save your money and go somewhere, anywhere else! We went post lunch rush (2/3pm) got the classic trio hoping to try all the favorites - lasagna, chicken parm, and fettuccine Alfredo. Each item was horrible. The kids chicken tenders - also gross. We only ate the fries. Such a waste of time and money!! Even thinking about it grosses me out and annoys me all over again. 😒
Deven M — Google review
I picked the location because it was close to the Ohio Theater; we walked there after a show. I understood from the website and pictures that there would be a train, so we made reservations for the train (an option on the site). We were sat in a booth which with an extremely open mind, you could say was reminiscent of a train but nothing like what apparently was at the old location. The food was ok but nothing to write home about. Their red sauce is probably their signature sauce, so I would suggest ordering something with that. My mother ordered the carbonara and there were massive chunks of raw white onion—who would eat that? My daughter ordered the linguine frutti de Mar and there were globs of red pepper flakes. It did indicate spicy but this seemed over the top and without thought. We had children with us which was another reason we brought them to this restaurant versus something a little more upscale or pricey in the area. If sitting toward the back, the view is pretty spectacular and probably beautiful when the Christmas lights are lit in the Commons. Unless in the area for an event and you want convenience, I would try THE GOAT across the street for a more interesting menu (food and beverage). We parked in the Commons garage on Rich St. and the restaurant validated our parking.

The entire experience was amazing. I had thought we were going to hit bad traffic and we got there early. No problem, they took the 5 of us right in. The waitress was amazing. Very courteous and fast. Very friendly and always had a smile. Also gave great recommendations. All of our orders came out just as we asked for. My grandson even had to comment how perfect his burger was. We will definitely be back. Even though it is a newly done restraunt of the Old spaghetti warehouse. The vibe was still there, and the food was exactly as it was before. Kudos to all involved.
Chuck — Google review
The food is always good, and the new location has charm. I wish the lasagna had more cheese in between the layers, it's probably hard to perfect personal preferences, though. The portions are large, so I recommend this when you have a calm evening planned ahead. Don't forget to ask your server for a parking validation! 😉 There wasn't a wait for us because we made reservations, but I'm not sure how busy this place gets.

Wolf's Ridge Brewing is a prominent addition to the Columbus brewery scene, established in 2013 by Alan and Bob Szuter. This brewery offers an elevated American eatery with a substantial beer menu. It has gained recognition as a premier drinking and dining destination in the capital city. One of its notable offerings is the nationally-recognized Daybreak, a custom cream ale infused with Columbus' own One Line Coffee and Madagascar vanilla. Wolf's Ridge Brewing is part of BrewPigeon.
My family and I had a wonderful brunch experience at Wolf's Ridge this past Saturday. We had made reservations, which I highly recommend, as it seemed to be a popular spot. We were seated promptly and the food arrived surprisingly fast, which was a huge plus with our two little ones. They absolutely devoured the pancakes and fruit bowl – a definite kid-pleaser! My WRB Benny's were absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked and flavorful. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her meal, "Toad in the Hole,". Our waitress was attentive and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a fantastic brunch and we'll definitely be back!

Went to the tap room on a warm Sunday afternoon, and it was pretty quiet. I had never had their beer before at all, and the service was great giving me recommendations and offering samples. Service was fantastic, the beer was lovely, and I enjoyed the urban but quiet vibe outside. The patio is on an alley, so there’s not a lot of cars or commotion. Lovely.

Delicious food. Shout out to Atticus for outstanding service! Recommend the Brussels sprouts, Daybreak (Beer)- beer flight, and Cod (Special). Easy to make a reservation online, recommend to do so. They are popular and can get busy quickly.

We booked the Hickory Room at Wolf's Ridge Brewing for our wedding rehearsal dinner and welcome party and it was one of the best wedding decisions we made. The room was beautiful and their service was great! Their staff leading up to the event were very organized and communicative and the food for both our rehearsal dinner and welcome party was excellent. We had at least 75 people in there at some points and the space felt comfortable. We had a great experience with Wolf's Ridge and would recommend it for anyone looking for a rehearsal dinner, welcome party, or other event venue.

Every time I've dined at Wolf's Ridge, it has been outstanding. This latest time was no exception. We stopped in for brunch. I had the Loaded Tots. My fiance had the Toad in the Hole. We loved it all. Our server was Lexi (I hope I got that correct). She was very friendly, attentive, and provided useful recommendations for both in-house and around Columbus.

Fairly solid beer, I definitely enjoyed the Daybreak Cream Ale (one of their most popular beers). The building was honestly a bit warm and I'm not sure if they had any air conditioning on a very hot day. In any case, still a fun spot to check out.

Such an amazing brunch! My server, Atticus, was super attentive and friendly. And the food was delicious! They source a lot of their ingredients locally, and you can tell! I had the omelet with salad and it was perfect. The bloody mary was great, too. It's a very underrated brunch, go check it out!

A lively space where you can still hear the conversation at your table we enjoyed their beers with everyone in our party of 5 ordering something different. We shared small plates to start. Our favourites are the chopped salad and waffle fries. Sandwiches are tasty. The local duck was delicious and perfectly cooked accompanied by a very spicy sauce and carrots. It could have used something green and possibly some potatoes or rice. The fresh walleye special was perfectly cooked with a melange of summer squash and zucchini in a flavourful peppadew sauce, and tender baby potatoes. Did you sleep OK? I’m sorry you like your fruit is ours. I would’ve guessed they were the same just asking well you only have one more night not bad my goodness. We ended the evening with their chocolate mousse with its citrusy coconut foam/cream.

Took the wife out on a date to finally try this place. It didn't disappoint....so many things on the menu I wanted to try. Steak was cooked perfect and had great flavor. The calamari was good and the sauces they provided were a good opposite to enjoy sweet and spicy. Brussel sprouts were good but not great. The wife said the salad was the best she's had. Got the peanut butter pie for desert which was rich and creamy. Look forward to coming back and giving it a try.

Came to this decent steakhouse for lunch. The dining room was splendid like a palace. There was mouthwash in the restroom. Service was good and WiFi was fast, but they forgot to serve me the free roll. The lunch combo was great with few decent entrees. I preferred the steak to the salmon. The crab bisque was authentic but its size was small. My medium steak was grilled well but the Diane sauce was not my taste with mushrooms. The mashed potatoes tasted terrible with too much butter.

This was the most incredible service I’ve had at a restaurant. Our server Sarah was exceptional! I got the $29 lunch special. All of my food was top notch, every bite was savory and it was perfectly complimented with the carrot cake (which they went the extra mile on!). They took our dirty plates and silverware away with each new plate setting and gave us clean silverware. The chairs are so comfortable we didn’t even realize we’d been there 2hrs. She even whipped out a “crumb scraper” from her apron to clean off the table. The interior decor and atmosphere was beautiful! Staff were amazing, kind, and accommodating. The bathroom was impeccably clean.

Eddie Merlot’s is hands-down our favorite place to celebrate birthdays and special occasions! The ambiance, the service, the food—everything is consistently top-notch. We’ve tried just about everything on the menu over the years, and it never disappoints. Whether it’s a perfectly cooked steak, fresh seafood, or one of their decadent desserts, every bite is a win. Wow!! I can't say enough about my first experience at Eddie Merlots. We dined here at lunch time for my parents anniversary. The $29 price fix menu was a decent size portion for the price. The 8oz sirloin was amazing, as well was the creamed spinach. The caesar salad was tasty. The fresh hot bread was too die for. The were very accommodating with a piece of carrot cake for my parents. The server Hanah did a fantastic job. Not used to dinning places that bring new silverware and use a crumb scapper for the tables. We will definitely be coming back here to dine again. Very pleased with the service, price, quality and amount of food.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere! The decor, lighting and games make this a really good place to go. The menu is awesome and filled with wonderful drinks like the Pineapple Smash (pictured) which was delightful. The food was excellent! I made my own custom Melt of: cheddar and pepper jack cheese, letter, tomatoes, spinach, sautéed onions, pulled beef and ham. Accompanied with tasty mashed garlic potatoes (you have to request this on the side) and a great salad. I will be coming back with friends as I didn't have much time and the time due to having to go back to the Arnold Classic at 7, but it was worth it! Thank you Melt.

This is a fun place with big sandwiches and large orders of fries. The deep fried wedge you see is their mac & cheese "bites." My friends and I ordered the Wakin Bacon, Eggplant Parm and Mushroom Melt. The mushroom melt was the hands down winner. Cheesy and delicious, but not at all heavy. The fresh spinach gave the sandwich texture and freshness. Pinball games are fun. I cannot remember the name of the cocktail I had, but it had Bullet Rye and strawberry. It was great!

I still think about eating at this restaurant everyday. It’s the kind of place you walk into where you get so overwhelmed because everything looks incredible. We got the hummus and baba ghanoush bowl with meat and toppings and it’s just so freaking good. They also give you their own organic roasted fire cooked pita and it’s just next level. If you are stopping in Columbus and you don’t visit this restaurant, you are missing out! Short north in general is just a great place to go

What would it take to get this in California? I think I referred at least ten new diners here during the week we spent in Columbus, and they all loved it too! Hearty, healthy meals at an accessible price point, delicious as all get out, and almost entirely gluten free! Many of the diners I referred are gluten-free and they all enjoyed their options here. I dined here twice and got the sandwich and the salad, and both were absolutely incredible. The brisket? Melt in your mouth. We even shared lots of our meal with our nine month old baby (baby led weaning), and he also approved wholeheartedly! The service was friendly and professional, and the space was clean and had a lovely atmosphere. The local friend who recommended it to me told me not to miss the tahini chocolate chip cookie, and she was SO right. Moral of the story is, I need this in the SF Bay Area, stat!

We went with the family today for lunch. Building your own bowl is our favorite way to order. They lost half my son's bowl in the floor, and put someone else's sauce on our bowl. The cooks seemed very overwhelmed with the amount of people waiting. The servers were very kind and got all our drinks out quickly but we did wait for our checks for a very long time. We will go back at a hopefully less busy time.

I LOVE BD’s Mongolian Grill! I live in Cleveland and the one by my house unfortunately closed recently, but I was visiting Columbus a few weekends ago and saw that they had one in the Easton Town Center shopping plaza, and I knew immediately where I was going for dinner. Food was top notch, service was amazing, and drinks were super delicious too. I love the whole “hey here’s a bowl to make whatever you want and give it to the cooks”. That specific dynamic of a restaurant is so much fun and it’s amazing to see that Covid didn’t close this one down. I will be back very soon!!

Cameron has been absolutely amazing and consistently provides exceptional service! He greets me with a smile every time I walk in and even remembers my order, which always makes my day. I truly appreciate his kindness and attention to detail. I can’t wait to see him again. If you stop by, definitely ask for Cameron!

I've been there before, and I always leave satisfied. Your portions are only limited by how much you can stuff into your bowl. Well seasoned, and it's always a plus when you can add your own sauces to taste. Plenty of fixins available to choose from, asvwell as a great meat selection. I got there early, but the seats were filling up quickly. The server I had made sure I had all I needed, and was very attentive. The space was a lil small, so get there early. Great food, great service, great experience

La Chatelaine French Bakery and Bistro offers a relaxed setting to enjoy authentic French cuisine and handcrafted baked goods. The menu features a variety of savory and sweet options, including favorites like apricot bow croissants, coconut macaroons, cherry pinwheel croissants, and traditional French beignets.
Stepping into this charming restaurant is like a mini-vacation to France! From the French-speaking staff to the atmosphere, this place is the real deal. As someone who's traveled to France, I can confidently say it captures the authentic feel. The display of desserts upon entry is a feast for the eyes – I did get a beignet, which was delicious. Then I remembered that I had to do this review. The rest of my meal – creamy lobster bisque, fresh mixed fruit, and perfectly executed French toast – was equally impressive. The unlimited French coffee was a delightful bonus. The French-themed decor and clean facilities complete the experience. Perfect for a gathering of up to four, this is a must-visit for a genuine taste of France in Ohio.

This place c'est magnafique, the food, the desserts, the drinks, and the wonderful staff! So clean, cozy, welcoming, and delicious! I always want to try everything, and get something different each visit and I'm always impressed! Don't miss out on their homemade soups!

Had a nice brunch here with my younger daughter. She's a picky eater but enjoyed most of what we selected. She gives the bacon a double thumbs up. She also gave the breakfast potatoes a thumbs up, which is nice because she's not a fan of potatoes. Food was great overall. No complaints. Layout/ambiance was pleasant. Enough seating to have space without being too isolated. Service was pretty good too. Will visit again.

We really enjoyed this experience with our 9-year old daughter. She said it was like walking through a door and entering a bistro in France! The staff were absolutely wonderful and definitely added to the experience. We went two days in a row since we were in town for the weekend. I highly recommend the lobster bisque if it is available. My family loved everything they tried. We took a lot home too because the bread was amazing. I am gluten sensitive (to wheat in US products) but I could eat here with no problem!

Food was exquisite! and the owner was nice to us. We enjoyed our first brunch time in Ohio. Especially pastry with spinach was so good:) one thing we hope is more explanation with food&desserts because we tried a chocolate cake but it wasn't cake😅 it was meringue and cream but was nice experience!

We recently visited La Chatelaine French Bakery for the first time, and while the food did not disappoint, the overall experience was a bit mixed. The pastries and food were absolutely delicious—fresh, beautifully made, and with plenty of tempting options to choose from. If you're looking for authentic French baked goods, this place definitely delivers on flavor and variety. However, our visit was slightly dampened by the lack of a welcoming atmosphere at the counter. As first-timers, we weren’t quite sure where to order or how things worked. When we asked for help, we felt dismissed rather quickly, as if the cashier was in a rush—even though it wasn’tparticularly busy at the time. A little warmth and guidance would have made a big difference in our experience. That said, we’d still consider coming back for the food alone and hope for a more inviting interaction next time. A beautiful spot with great potential if the service matched the quality of their pastries.
Jennelyn P — Google review
It was a great location, the service was good but the structure was cafeteria set up. I was disappointed with the food as the cost to quantity was out of balance. A single slice of meat is ridiculous for the quantity of bread. The cappuccino was good but not excellent.

La Cha is a great French chain restaurant and bakery. The dining room is decorated well like a warm and cozy French home. The bar room is also beautiful. There are a variety of pastries, salads, soups, sandwiches, and French entrees. A few seasonal items are available. Everything tastes decent with a reasonable price. Their wood-oven baked bread is perfectly soft. The lunch combo is great coming with signature salad, a sandwich, and a cup of soup. Service is always nice and WiFi is available. It opens early. Definitely a wonderful place for a good morning.

SUPERB!!! First stop after landing from FL. AMAZING service from the staff / owner Gina + FANTASTIC food. Eggs, toast, bacon, etc. were awesome. Wife ordered waffles with bacon and strawberries. She loved it. This place has earned. 5 star rating and it shows. The owner was so kind. A+ must visit & support!

Stopped by on a Monday morning and had a phenomenal experience at Scotty’s. Evette was our server and she took the best care of our party and we are leaving with full bellies and cannot wait to come back to being more guests. This place is a treasure of Columbus!

Scotty's Cafe & Catering by Scott is located on East Broad Street near Bexley. It’s a cozy family owned restaurant. It has to be one of the top famous places to eat in central Ohio with big servings of food at inexpensive prices. Everything is made in house from scratch and their desserts look absolutely delicious. I was too full to try anything more than the, French Toast, The Reuben, The Schmoozer and Gabbie’s Tuna Melt. Anything you order is sure to please and the diner has this super cool and nostalgic 1950’s - 1960’s vibe. Scott and Gina are absolutely amazing people and so is their food! If you haven’t been, it needs to be on your bucket list!

I would have given a full 5 stars if I didn’t have a sensitive stomach who sometimes has a hard time without specific items on the menu HOWEVER WE LOVEEEEEE SCOTTTYYYYSSSS 🔥🔥🔥 I bring my friends and loved ones here when they need to feel like they just came home. When they need the staff to greet them like family and serve them like royalty. This is one place that deserves an award for comfort alone. The food is traditional diner / deli classic breakfast and lunch. As long as you’re not prissy and better than everyone, you can find something here. Not only that, but you’ll definitely find some dessert you like! Even if you’re not hungry, bring your friends in and let them eat while the wonderful family of Scotty’s reminds you why it’s beautiful to be alive and welcomed in a community. Surround yourself with people who greet you with a smile and you’ll always find a place to go.

This is the first time that I’ve had the opportunity to visit the cafe, but I have been at weddings where Catering By Scott was the caterer. First, Scott (the owner) is just an amazingly genuine and kind person! The catering has always been amazing, and our visit to his cafe was also amazing. The cafe was packed, but they are so quick to clear tables as soon as someone leaves, and minimize the wait time for any guests in line. The wait staff was amazing. Drinks were always quickly refilled. server was quick to take our order, and the food was delivered promptly. My son and I are both gluten free and they were able to serve the egg salad sandwich and patty melt that we ordered on toasted, gluten free bread. The food was great and we were in and out in less than 45 minutes. Scott was personally out in the cafe greeting guests and making sure that everyone had a great experience! Highly recommend! Great experience and we hope to visit again soon!

Wow, this is probably the friendliest restaurant I've ever been to. There was a small wait when we got there, but they sat us quickly. The owner and his wife came by multiple times to say hello and and see how our meals were. The staff was extremely friendly(three servers came to our table to bring food, take orders ,etc)and made sure our food was right. It was our first time and they gave us a serving of French toast on the house to try and gave both our kids free cupcakes at the end of our meal. The food was good but the atmosphere was phenomenal. You could tell the owner really cares and loves his job. It was such a pleasant experience and we will definitely come back.

Scott took care of the catering for my wedding two years ago and the service was, without exaggeration, excellent. He is attentive, has a great staff and made good suggestions for the wedding menu. The food was delicious, and people are still talking about the green beans and gourmet roast beef! Everyone should give his diner a visit. They will not be disappointed.

Nestled within the elegant Hotel LeVeque, The Keep offers a blend of modern cuisine and classic cocktails in an art deco setting. This restaurant inside the iconic LeVeque Tower serves up timeless French dishes with a contemporary twist, such as the exquisite Coq au vin. The open kitchen setup provides an interactive dining experience, while the historic ambiance and old-school cocktails add to the 1920s atmosphere.
Ambiance!!! We found the Keep while in Columbus for a conference. The Hotel where the restaurant is was right across the street from our hotel. I was tasked with finding a spot for a group dinner and decided to the give The Keep a try. What can I say, we loved the place, and we loved it so much our group ate there more than once and afterwards members of group borught more people there for dinner and drinks. The menu is simple but covers a good array of food that almost anyone can enjoy. The wine list is extensive, and so is their collection of liqueurs, spirits and beer. We had a great time, great meals and of course we all were very happy with our drinks. When we return to the area, I'm sure everyone in our group will come back to The Keep.

The AC was broken… Would’ve been nice to know before we paid over $100 for our meal. The food was very good and well worth the price, but coupled with the heat we felt in the room? Wouldn’t go back. My cocktail tasted like straight tequila, but the flavor was still there. Honestly, wish someone would’ve given me a heads up. I wouldn’t have eaten there if someone would’ve decided to give me the courtesy, as a paying customer, that their AC was blown.

Friday 5/23 was our first time visiting and we had high expectations based on hearing such incredible reviews! We were one of like 6 tables in the restaurant for the entire 3 hours we were there. It was very slow! Based on reviews and the price point , I had expected the atmosphere to be a little “fancier” than it was, with some couples in sweat pants and leggings and the host in jeans. This obviously doesn’t impact my experience but just an observation. I was a little disappointed that it seemed like the chef / bar counter was being used for storage of some sort, or maybe rolling silverware which was giving a really unpolished look. Eduardo was extremely friendly and had excellent menu recommendations! If we come back, we’ll absolutely be requesting to sit with him. ⭐️Charcuterie board was good but fairly basic. ⭐️Calamari was delish! ⭐️Short ribs were tender and flavorful! I subbed mashed potatoes instead of grits but was brought grits anyway and they were actually SO GOOD! ⭐️ the espresso martini was hands down one of the best I’ve had in Columbus! Adding in - I called Friday early afternoon and asked if the valet accepts card payments and was told yes. When I arrived, valet said it was cash only ($20) and there was an ATM inside with a $4 fee. We used the ATM and then had to wait for 15 min at the hotel desk for change for the valet tip. They never even moved our car from the front of the restaurant for the three hours.

Love The Keep, a perfect, elevated dining experience that blends seemlessly within the art deco Hotel LeVeque. We enjoyed the charcuterie board, potato leek soup, and crispy chicken sandwich (with hot honey!). We had a late dinner after a day of traveling. We were concerned about being too late and the kitchen closing, but our server assured us we were welcome and truly made us feel as such. The food and drinks here are only outshined by the service. Can't wait to return to The Keep!

Stayed at The LeVeque and got the pleasure to receive excellent service at the Keep from Brian and Eduardo. Brian was pleasant and friendly and made one of the best French 75’s I’ve ever had. I even invited some of my friends who stayed at a hotel nearby to come and experience the amazing hospitality. Eduardo was extremely friendly and helpful. He had a fun loving personality and made sure my friends and I enjoyed ourselves every step of the way! Can’t wait to visit again soon!

Our server was great, very polite, but just a little slow with check-ins. The food took a longer time than expected to be ready and wasn't quite worth the wait. The brussel sprouts were overcooked and seemed a little burnt. Wouldn't recommend it as an appetizer. The french onion soup was very rich and was the only outstanding dish of the evening. The burger, cooked medium, was juicy, but the buns were a little soggy. The fries that came with it weren't too crispy, which was a disappointment, but they still had some nice seasoning. The New York strip was juicy and tender but more on the rare side of medium rare and wasn't well seasoned. The seasoning didn't coat it evenly, and I got one bite where the only thing I tasted was pepper. The gouda mac and cheese was a nice side, though. We got the cheesecake for dessert, and it was very good but not outstanding. Overall, it's not worth it for the price.

Waited half an hour to get apple cinnamon pancakes, when the showed up they were covered in syrup, no whipped cream. Handed them back, waited another 20 minutes for the worst tasting pancake I've ever had that was brought out with no apples or whipped cream. Didn't eat them at all. Server was awful.

My favorite coffee shop in Ohio (and most other places too). I love everything about this cafe. The staff are always accommodating, relaxed and skilled at making coffee in a variety of ways. The selection of beans and their quality is always excellent. Prices are fair and even a basic drip coffee here has the complexity of flavor that other shops might pass off as a pour over. The environment is just right. Situated at a prime spot in the Short North, it is cozy and quiet with enough life it isn’t boring. The taste in music of the staff is original and thoughtful.

If you like cold brew or any ice black coffee, “Kyoto” here is a must must try, the best of the best. They might not use the same bean every time, but the one currently (20250314) has fantastic floral and sweet taste, like the lavender tea. Might be the best cold brew I’ve ever had this year.

The Service Bar is a trendy and spacious distillery, bar, and kitchen located at Middle West Spirits in Columbus. Executive Chef Avishar Barua presents inventive dishes that blend Midwestern and Middle Eastern flavors, such as the Koji Half Rohan Duck and Short Rib with Huajian Bao.
I hesitate to leave a review here as I’d much prefer to keep Service Bar off the radar for my own benefit. Service and ambiance were both fantastic. The food was surprisingly good compared to other restaurants attached to distilleries or breweries. I am not exactly a cocktail aficionado, but I would not consider myself an amateur whiskey drinker. The cocktails here are unbelievable. We ordered two of the more interesting concoctions on the menus, expecting them to be akin to what you put on pancakes. They were anything but. Spirit focused, thoughtfully crafted, and addicting. Don’t pass on Service Bar. Scratch that. Don’t go. You won’t like it. Best to stay away. 🤫

Nice place, and nice service. Service was on the slow side but only because of limited staffing. $41 fish plate was tastey but extremely small, so were drinks. Honestly I spent over a hundred bucks with a tip but left very hungry. The fish was served on a comically large plate that enhances the small portion, but the flavor profile of the fish was very good - I like the tanginess of the sauce and it had a lot of seasoning. Filet was cooked well, and although the dish was on the oiley side it was very tastey. It came with pickled onions which were good. Probably wouldn't buy again though at 41 bucks. The pizza was much better value at 15 bucks for the food. Yes it was still small, but the quality of crust waa good and fellow diner recommended. For the price, I'd say it was alright.

We were looking for a special dinner that would accommodate our group. First of all, the drinks were phenomenal and innovative. Kudos to the chef for curating a vegan dish that was truly unique and incredibly delicious. Also, the service was above and beyond! David, Cassidy and Grace were all super accommodating and kind. Everyone in Columbus - this place is so worth the visit! Don’t miss out 💕 P.S. - the Oaxacan 75 is one of the most well-rounded cocktails I’ve ever had! Couldn’t recommend it more!

Creative and delicious menu! Had the pork chop, the salmon, the hanger steak and stuffed quail for our meals. Appetizers were the fries and confit wings. Drinks were amazing too!
Cayla G — Google review
Lots to say about this dining experience, overall it was good. The good: -The atmosphere was nice, good lighting and okay space between the tables. Nice decor and accents. -Our drinks were very good and the perfect strength, well balanced, nice aesthetic. -The whipped cream on creme brulee was perfectly sweetened. -The Caesar salad dressing is some of the best I've ever had and the cheese is so fresh. The bad: -The marrow appetizer was overpriced for what it was, we (maybe) got 1.5 tablespoons out of both bones combined. They were prepared well and the sourdough was very good and charred perfectly. -We asked to share a Caesar salad, the kitchen did not plate it onto 2 plates. We were given the dish and had to wait for plates. -Not bad, but surprised to receive regular heinz ketchup with the duck fat fries, anticipated something housemade. -Shocked to hear our server did not know what an Irish coffee was, and never gave us an answer if we could order one or not. -My pappardelle pasta was so salty I almost sent it back, the size and texture of the noodles was great. -My spouse's mussels seemed over cooked but everything else was fine he said. What should be fixed: -The front of house is undeniably understaffed, we saw 2 servers the entire time we were there on a Friday night. The bartender and 2 other support staff were there helping to run food and clear our table. -Retraining the FOH staff is a must...examples missing from our service include; replacing silver ware when you take dirty ones from the table (we went without a few utensils), boxing up food away from the table should be standard practice for a restaurant of this caliber, checking in on the meal at least twice (we were only checked on once we were done eating). All-in-all I will go back, but it seems like a 50-50 experience, some stuff is good and some stuff is bad and it's a mix of the food and service. For $141 before tip, it's overpriced for what it is right now. Small, consistent improvements will make this place worth it.

I had a fantastic dinner with my wife tonight at Service Bar, in celebration of our eighth wedding anniversary. Our server, Andy, was excellent and proved invaluable in helping us decide, since there were several vegan options available on the menu. Our cocktails and appetizers came out very fast, and were incredible - the wonton and brassica dishes both featured beautiful plating and intense flavors, complimenting the 'Blood Sugar Magic' and 'Rosé Petal' beverages selected for our first round. For main courses we chose the Black Pepper Seitan and Panang Curry, which again arrived at the perfect moment and continued the meal without making us feel rushed. A second round of cocktails followed, with a 'Courtlandia' for me, and my wife selecting 'Rosemary's Daisy'. Dessert arrived again at seemingly the precise time it was meant to; a vegan 'Buckeye' that mystified our senses with its chocolate-peanut-maple flavors and textures leaving us dazzled. 10/10, would dine at Service Bar again. Slightly pricey if you take a tour of the entire menu like we did, but absolutely worth the experience!
Tim B — Google review
We had an excellent meal and drinks at the beautiful bar. The pork cheek gnocchi is insanely good. It was one of the best bites of food I've had in recent memory. There was a perfect amount of heat as well as beautiful warming spices, and the cheek was so tender it fell apart when you touch it with the fork. The Rachel was also very good, and the kimchi played well with the other big flavors on the sandwich, while leaving a lingering heat that was very pleasant against the very savory smoked meat. While the communal seating may not be ideal for some, I think it is nice to be able to see and share the dining experience with those around you, and discuss the very inventive food and beverage. This place is definitely worth the price, and we will be back for more.

This was a gem I randomly came across and we went on a whim and absolutely loved it! The wings were hands down some of the best wings I’ve had in the entire city. Top notch! I’ll be returning just for this. The porkchop was to delicious but the carbonara fell flat for us a little bit. The noodles were more of a matted ball than anything so we were cutting into it like it was a piece of meat, but the flavor was tasty! Just a texture thing. The cocktails were all fabulous. We’ll likely come back for snacks and drinks for sure. Keep it up, service bar! We loved you!

First time visiting the new location! ⭐️ I figured there would be a wait time around 9:30 am on a Saturday but we were able to order and find a seat right away. They have a limited menu at the moment but the options are still awesome. Also, they have a water station by the ordering area and there's a fruit infused water dispenser that tastes so fresh and clean.💧🍊🍋🍓 I ordered the cinnamon toast crunch waffles and my husband ordered the Juggernaut. 🧇 Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and the bacon and potatoes were good highlights to complement the sweetness. 🥓 Other than the food, the decor is fun and the restaurant itself is clean and well-kept.

Went early on a Sunday to beat the crowd. The restaurant was very noisy and kid friendly, which matches the theme. Service was a little slow but the food was good. The bar serves 48 fresh craft beers on tap and features a full kitchen offering a variety of delicious food options. This neighborhood gem also includes a rooftop terrace, specialty drafts, canned beverages, and an extensive menu featuring tacos and burgers.
We stopped here for lunch and a drink on a Saturday afternoon during an OSU game. I loved it here. We had amazing expresso martinis, salad, wings brussel sprouts and tostato. There's great outside seating areas, including a rooftop. Roomy inside seating too. Great TVs. Highly recommended.

Went on a Wednesday night and food took at least 45 minutes. Wasn't busy then at all. Also amount of fries was for a child size. Maybe 20 pieces for the high cost? Seriously needs to invest in much better parking area.

Great beer, friendly service, cool atmosphere. Wasn’t able to try the food but everything looked delicious. Had games for anyone to pickup and play.

Lacy was our waitress and she was amazing. The recommendations she gave was right on. I highly recommend this place. We had the wings and for a breaded wing they were the best I have had. The adobo sauce was great. My wife had the burger and she raved about it. We had our dog with us and a storm came in and they were very accommodating. Truly one of the best places.

Very good! Buffalo Wings and Dumpster Wings were delicious! Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice establishment!

Our server Lily was absolutely the best! The epitome of high class service! While it was a busy Saturday night, our server always made sure we had everything we needed and never let the drinks go empty. I will be coming back solely because of our wonderful server!

Our waitress was wonderful. We had such a great time. The pretzel was huge and came with mustard and cheese sauce. If you aren’t familiar with their beer I suggest you get a flight. You will find your favorite that way. They also have delicious cocktails too. There’s a nice outdoor patio and it’s dog friendly too.

Food was amazing, beer was cold and delish, and Michelle was super sweet and made my kiddos feel safe and included when asking for things! Super happy with this location :)

Bar
Makers Social, located in the Franklinton arts district of Columbus, Ohio, is a unique DIY craft and cocktail bar owned by Megan Pando. This interactive bar offers a socializing experience where guests can enjoy themed cocktails, mocktails, and beer while creating their own DIY crafts from a 'project menu.' The projects range from stamped jewelry to string art to leather wallets and can take anywhere from one to four hours to complete. It's recommended to make reservations for this fun and engaging experience.
I had such a blast here! I lived in Columbus for a little over a year and came here frequently. It’s a stones throw way from land grant brewery and is in a really fun area. Staff is friendly and helpful. It’s self instructional projects but they assist when needed. Would definitely recommend checking out!

KELLY! 👏🏼 My husband, a friend and I went to Makers Social last night. Kelly welcomed us immediately and checked us in as a walk in. Kelly was very patient with us as we took our sweet time trying to decide what project we even wanted to do. It was pouring rain outside and several people on the sidewalk came inside for cover from the rain, Kelly greeted them with kindness and even brought a towel out to help a lady who was soaking wet, to help her dry off. After the storm was over, multiple groups of people were coming in and the place was BUSY! Kelly handled the influx of customers with ease, she had mentioned that someone called in sick, usually at this time of day there would be 2 people able to help customers and she said she appreciated our patience. Kelly was amazing at navigating this situation. She remained positive and professional while taking customer orders, making drinks, serving drinks & food, and helping at least 7 different groups of people with their projects as needed. We had a great experience and will be back!

We had an amazing time at Makers Social! The atmosphere is extremely welcoming and the staff were all wonderful. You get a wide variety of crafts to choose from that turn a typical day/night out into something uniquely fun! I had the prickly pear margarita that was made to perfection and highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back and hoping to bring the rest of our friends and family with us next time!

Had a great time here! The atmosphere is fun, upbeat, and very approachable—perfect for both first-timers and regulars. There’s a wide variety of activities to choose from, with options for all skill levels and timeframes, which makes it easy to jump in and enjoy. The drinks were delicious—slightly on the higher end price-wise, but still reasonable for the quality. The music could use a bit more variety, but the overall vibe more than makes up for it. Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and even the bathrooms were clean and had candles lit, which was a nice touch. Perfect spot for a date night or a fun evening out with friends!

We live in Hudson and came for my husbands 60th. Kelly and her partner were so very helpful and bubbly. It was a busy day and they kept everything flowing so nicely. We started with really good cocktails, picked our project~ so many to choose from!! We love arts and crafts, but you don’t have to be Bob Ross to have a good time here!! I did two planters and he did the flask. my husband had a blast and so did I. Will be back with friends.

I got to paint an amazing Charcuterie board. As a person who isn’t very creative I felt pretty overwhelmed. Kelly was amazing and helped me make it turn out amazing. Not to mention she was a great host and even let us pick the music we liked . This place is such a vibe. I can’t wait to come back!

The was a great place to come and show off your artistic side and enjoy amazing cocktails while doing so. The staff were outstanding, polite, and VERY helpful! We will definitely be coming back!

Makers social was SUCH a fun time! Staff was so personable and kind! Craft was fun and well explained. Kelly was the BEST! Always checking in and making sure we're doing good, even asking us about our own interests and gave us bracelets when she found out we were taylor swift fans! GREAT atmosphere and my drink was DIVINE! I most certainly will be returning....
