Cocktails were perfectly tasty but the service was slow. It was extremely dark as well so was hard to actually see your drinks/the menu! They also put in HUGE ice cubes so the quantity of drink is ridiculous for the price! Wouldn’t recommend going as a bigger group as we were there for an hour and a half and only managed to get one drink served in that time! Was a ‘cool’, ‘alternative’ place to try out though!

Beautiful and intimate cocktail bar with a unique ambiance. Excellent service and the perfect bar for a high end alcohol tasting experience. Staff team were beyond friendly and made us feel welcome. Highly recommend for a quiet and relaxed drinking experience.

How anyone could rate this place anything less than 5 stars is beyond me! To start, I did feel a bit lost outside the venue and ended up calling to check if they were open. Stu kindly answered and explained I just needed to ring the doorbell (I did feel a little silly 😅), but he instantly put me at ease and made me feel welcome. Once inside, I was seated at the bar and looked after by Will – an absolute legend. I mentioned I was a whisky drinker and shared what I liked. That’s when the real journey began. They introduced me to whiskies I’d never even heard of, and I was given an exclusive tour of their collection – absolutely mind-blowing. The customer care and knowledge the team have is second to none. I was later introduced to Tom, who was just as friendly, passionate, and knowledgeable as Stu and Will. Honestly, this place is a hidden gem – the staff are incredibly welcoming, and the range of cocktails and whiskies is unbelievable. I can’t recommend this place highly enough to anyone visiting Bristol who loves whisky, cocktails, and great company. Wishing Will the best of luck on his upcoming adventures to Italy and Canada – you’ll definitely be missed by the team. Thank you all for making my very first trip to Bristol such a memorable one 🙏🏻

Now my favourite cocktail spot in Bristol. Sid was brilliant and made a couple of off-the-menu cocktails for me. They were two distinct drinks, both of which tasted amazing! Much better than I anticipated. Please add nightcap to your menu (the name of the final one I had)! Its those who love smoky whiskey or rum flavours with a kick.

I had an amazing time at Bootlegger Bars in Bristol! The cocktails made by bar manager Lu were delicious and the vintage atmosphere was perfect for a romantic date night. Plus, it's an incredible late-night venue for partying and dancing with friends. I highly recommend it!

Brilliant cocktail bar! We tried a few from the menu then went off menu and I had one of the best Singapore Slings I’ve ever had. Staff are lovely and we only wish we lived closer as we’d be here all the time

love this hidden speakeasy so much! they have really creative cocktails and their 5pm-7pm happy hour makes them very decently priced at £7. the staff there are great, we were sat by the bar and were served by a great chap from Barry (didn’t get his name sadly)! not really a place like it in Bristol so don’t miss it if you’re in clifton.

Her Majesty's Secret Service (HMSS) is a stunning cocktail bar that offers an unforgettable experience. Located in the heart of Whiteladies Road - Bristol, just next to the Clifton train station, this bar is perfect for anyone looking for a fun night out with friends or a romantic evening with a loved one. 👀 Oi you scrolling for reviews just go! Brilliant place! We went as a couple and everyone made us feel so welcome and the cocktails were bloody delicious. There was a JENGA game to play too while we were waiting for our drinks and good music vibe, I do think however the decor could reflect the theme more and some more games is a win. I wish I knew the bartenders names that were awesome with great vibes on 26th Nov in the evening for a shoutout , anyway no matter I will be back for sure. 🫢

I recently visited Thekla for the first time and was amazed by how accessible and easy it was for a disabled person to enjoy a gig there. Blue Badge parking is free just outside the door and from a comfy chair on the viewing balcony, you have a wonderful view of the stage (see photos). I was able to climb the few stairs down to the viewing balcony as my assistant carried my walker downstairs and I followed him with my walking sticks. Bit it might not be so easy for someone in a wheelchair. We did not sample the food but had drinks, and the the service at the bar was impeccable. The security staff at the door had been notified of our arrival: they were friendly and ushered us past the queue, which was useful. The Michael Monroe gig we attended was a wonderful experience and I hope there will be something else worth seeing soon, as I would love to return to Thekla.

Interesting venue for a night out. We loved the smoking area, the toilets, the bar, not so much the music in that particular day but definitely a place to come back

I've not been to The Thekla for a very long time and it did not disappoint! As a disabled person now, I was a little anxious, but the accessibility team made my visit as great as it ever was. My name was on the door as promised and it wasn't too far to the balcony where I found a chair with my name on it. A fabulous view to boot made me feel like a queen! We didn't eat, but the service at the bar was excellent. All in all, a really fantastic night out and a huge thanks to the team for making it so easy for me. I haven't enjoyed a live music venue so much for ages and will definitely be going back! 100% recommend :)

If you’ve ever wanted to party like a pirate, but with more sequins and less scurvy, this is your spot. A nightclub on a boat. Yes. It floats. It thumps. It rocks. (Literally. Bring motion sickness tablets if you’re not into interpretive dance with the floor.) Staff: If the crew were any more detached, they'd be floating outside the boat. Orders ignored, eye contact avoided like it was contagious. Floor: oh. My. God. Sticky. So sticky. It was like walking on treacle mixed with Red Bull. At one point, I genuinely considered leaving my shoes behind and starting a new life barefoot.

I went here in October and was amazing, but I went last weekend and was was full of strange people, pushing around and even a fight?! Not what you expect on a night out. The music is boring and repetitive, a lot of Katy Perry songs

First of all, the music was great for the pop confessional. The DJ was lovely and I enjoyed the night. However, towards the end I didn’t feel safe in the club. There was hardly any security inside the club. Unfortunately, a man kept trying to touch me and corner me against the wall even when I pushed him away and said no. It was very uncomfortable and I had to leave early. There were no staff to intervene even though I was visibly upset and scared.

I’m not local but I’ve been to two gigs here with a friend who lives in the city. Giant Drag a few years ago and Blondshell most recently. It’s a really cool and unique venue on a boat in the city. I love that they have an accessibility scheme, as lot of smaller venues do not. Sadly I’m unable to stand for long periods of time so I’m really grateful for them setting up a chair for me on the balcony for me, otherwise I’d not be able to attend. The sound is great in there, cool ambience too. It’s a bit of a maze to navigate but I guess that’s to be expected from an old ship! I look forward to my next visit!

I really, really wanted to give this place five stars, but I just can't. We got a really friendly and welcoming greeting, the decor is just amazing, and combined with the music and drinks selection, it has a great speakeasy vibe that's like stepping back in time. When we visited during a quiet afternoon we thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails and chatting to the bartender. However, when we returned on a busy Friday night, it was a bit of a different experience. The two guys working werr clearly doing their best but really need another member of staff to serve customers. After finishing our drinks we were left waiting 45 minutes before we could order another one - and customers who had arrived looked to be waiting a similar amount of time to receive their drinks. This is just far too long and led to understandable frustration. It's a shame, as the staff are lovely and the cocktails are sublime - some really imaginative and special combinations that we thoroughly enjoyed! It's just let down a bit by the exceedingly slow service when busy. I think we'd go back, but perhaps not on a weekend night.

We were passing and it looked really interesting. Very cool 50-70's style lounge. Nice interesting menu of cocktails and with quite advanced mixing of cocktails. The cocktail I had was a lovely complex flavours and nice to feel some love of the drink made. It's a classy dark and relaxed style bar. (amazing pecan nuts). .

Best cocktail bar in Bristol? Certainly the most friendly and most creative. Has the best elements of a good meal: good service, an inventive menu and delicious flavours. You feel like you're dining out rather than just having a cocktail. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

Incredible hidden gem in Bristol! We visited this cocktail bar for the first time a few weeks ago for my boyfriends birthday. On arrival we were greeted and our coats taken and hung up. We had a cute table in the corner, and it was full but not busy. We were served by the manager Rachel who was lovely and really knew her stuff. We didn’t know what to order at times so Rachel asked about flavours and alcohol we liked and then made suggestions, she got us the perfect drink every time. The cocktails were some of the best cocktails I have ever had (and I have had a lot)! The bar was owned by a husband and wife, who chatted with us and told us how they experiment and create the menus. There’s not one fault I can make about this place and I can’t wait to return. They even gave my boyfriend a birthday drink on the house which was a sweet touch. Price wise it is great value for money! 10/10!!!

Amazing interior and great decorations. We try a few cocktails and I can say that is maybe the best so far that I’ve ever had. The staff was extremely nice and helpful with the menu. The olives with sea salt 🤤 👌🏻 *if you order some special cocktail- you get a quick show with the special music. Bravo!

Bringing indoor and outdoor stages to Dot To Dot, Mr Wolfs is a lot of fun. The stage is up close and person and slightly raised but still feeling intimate, and the sound is raw and loud as you’d hope for a local venue. Outdoor temporary stages are nice and the sound engineer did a decent job of rigging things to sound decent in the street.

Attended the Mr Wolfs comedy night during a recent trip to Bristol and had a great time! The comedians, and MC kept us entertained all evening. They were very varied in style but enjoyed experiencing the ups and downs of comedians testing new material on the audience. Overall the venue has a great vibe, the staff are really friendly and at £5 per person, it is great value for money.

We had a really good night there. We have paid an entry fee, but it was worth it. No an extra charge for the cloakroom. The place is not too big but you have live music for most of the night. Prices for the drinks are reasonable. I'll be back.

Not a bad little bar, with a couple floors and a roof terrace. They host a guest kitchen currently serving vegetarian kebabs, which were quite tasty. The drinks selection was a bit disappointing, but quite cheap especially during the rather long happy hour. They run a lot of events here, e.g. music and live comedy. Overall I'd say it's a good venue if you're going to one of these shows, but I wouldn't be racing there just for drinks.

Excellent venue, loved the decor. The only let down was the service! We sat in this cool little room and felt as if we were forgotten all night - we kept having to flag down the servers. Shame because it was a cool place with nice cocktails.

A great night and such an amazing ambiance. The cocktails are good, the menu is a journey in and of itself. It will definitely dent the wallet though but totally worth it. Would absolutely recommend for a mellow and memorable night out.

A hidden gem! Part of the experience is finding the black door and buzzing in. The speakeasy bar has a nice atmosphere. Filling only the tables available, the chat, music and dim lighting makes for a perfect spot for friends to enjoy the cocktails. The menu, Midnight in Paris follows the tale of the private detective Kinsey Morgan from the 1920s. The staff were friendly and chatty. As the bartenders rotate as floor staff, they can give recommendations for different tastes. Cheers 🍸

Love the secret door, knock and be patient. Sometimes very patient. But someone will pop open the door and in you go, to a dark candle lit world with period furniture, an old piano and gorgeous cocktails! Staff are super attentive. The slight shabby chic look adds to the vibe. Oh. And the cocktails…. ❤️

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you’re looking for a night of pure wizardry and giggles in Bristol, this is THE place! Mark and Richard aren’t just magicians – they’re part-time comedians, full-time mind-blowers. Honestly, I’m still trying to figure out how Mark made my jaw disappear for half the night (spoiler: it was from laughing too much). Mark was the perfect entertainer- warm, welcoming, and hilariously cheeky, making just the right amount of fun of everyone (don’t worry, it’s all in good spirits… unless he actually is a wizard, in which case, RIP my dignity). The show was super interactive, so no chance of dozing off – unless you were hypnotized, which I’m still not ruling out. The magic itself? Brilliant. Real “how-did-they-do-that?!” moments that left us all questioning reality and Googling “how to become a magician” on the way home. If you want a quirky, laugh-out-loud night out in Bristol that’s totally different from the usual pub crawl, go see these guys. Just don’t ask them to pull a rabbit out of a hat – they’re too busy pulling smiles out of thin air! 🪄✨

Came here for a comedy/magic show on Saturday evening. Lots of fun, very interactive and great atmosphere. Good deals for drinks as well! Apart from the show there was live music.

What an experience. I went on a "first date" here and what a great start! The card tricks in the bar was a great warm-up. I came out speechless.. how did he do the egg trick, as for the ring disappearing - WOW I felt the other guests were as enthralled as we were and given a lot of interaction, we were a good audience Would highly recommend and visit again.

We came here for the comedy & magic show Saturday evening. 2 acts covered 1.5 hours. Both acts were great and the whole show was so fun! Would highly recommend when in Bristol! Hidden little gem!

Oo my gosh!!! First time I've been to this venue for a Raggea soul train. I had the best day EVER!!! The dj, promoter, Venue, music, vibes just everything was just on point. I can't put into words how happy I felt and it was worth travelling from Swansea, worth every penny.

Visited here on a Saturday for bottomless brunch with a group of friends, it’s a good location with a chilled vibe and seating inside and out, the balcony provides a good view in the sun. The service was the worst I’ve ever experienced in my life and I’m not joking. Drinks were left empty and we placed multiple orders with different staff that never arrived. On our food order allergies weren’t checked and when it was discussed staff were confused and obviously weren’t sure on what was allowed or not. Tables needed a wipe down and the toilets were like a swamp of urine. Food was good and everyone enjoyed it. Would I go back no I wouldn’t and I wouldn’t recommend the bottomless brunch as it clearly wasn’t bottomless. One member of staff was good, who acknowledged our drinks hadn’t been replenished for over half an hour.

It was an interesting experience, good music good ambiance, the bartender fabulous but it was marred by a group of about 7 old white men, all looked early 50’s…..these men were discussing in ear shot how I managed to arrive in the country and how I could afford to even be there quite rudely…..the icing on the cake was one of white old men justifying his behaviour by saying that the BBC is racist…isn’t that their national media corporation?? …Anyways, I had two amazing cocktails, enjoyed the view, danced a little and left. I will go there again for the service was great (will share an update), hopefully the table next to mine would be better human beings.

My first visit to bamalan, staff really nice food was also very good, overall service good as well. I attended for a work function. Views are good a great Bristol location to watch the night life and relax. Its something great about this place.

Sat on the terrace which was lovely as it was a sunny day. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The hot food wasn't quite hot enough for me but could have been because we were sat outside. Very tasty. A bit pricey but nice for a treat. Great music.

Nice place in the city of Bristol. Not the most known not the most impressive but value for money with great atmosphere and decor. Food was decent as well. The service and cleanliness was also good. There is ample of parking around the area, but should the weather be good I'd recommend you rent a Voi as there is parking exactly opposite the venue.

Only had time for a quick couple of drinks before going for dinner and it happened to be happy hour so it was 2 cocktails for £14. Loved my dirty martinis, also enjoyed sitting outdoors and people watching, the venue is also beautiful inside. Service was fantastic with some of the friendliest staff Will definitely be revisiting

Absolutely amazing atmosphere on the bar, everyone looked like they love to work there, the cocktails were fantastic, felt really welcomed and looked after when the waiters explained the menu and recommended drinks based on what we liked, shoutout to Ethan and his bottle throwing skills, Matt and Marley were amazing too. 10/10 would get drinks again.

A bar that's a bit crazy in the front room. It is a good vibe and different to what I'm used to but I can't complain. Drinks were decent, music decent. Overall a good place for food vibes.

I’ve been here on an evening and a disco bottomless brunch. The vibe and atmosphere is insane! The drinks do not stop coming. The food was funny as a brunch. Beef curry in a takeaway box. But apart from the food everything else was great. The drag queens sang and we’re great entertainment as well as the bar staff! Brunch was £42 Per person for 2 hours. The evening is just as bonkers too. Bar staff are entertainment and are fab with lots of energy. Great music to dance to. 3 rooms for different music. Drinks are expensive. Cocktails start from £12.50. A small bottle of cider £6.50. To be expected I guess!

Me and the hubby came here tonight to mix(ology) up our date night! We loved the porn star martinis and watching the passion Lawrence had for them reawoke a spark in our relationship! Let’s just say the porn star martinis didn’t stop once we had left London cocktail club.

Excellent visit with us sampling a wide selection of cocktails which we are all great. The staff are are all very friendly and provide excellent service (particularly Grace). Given the wide range of alternatives, this venue is the best in my opinion for cocktails and a great atmosphere in Bristol!

I would just like to say had an amazing experience tonight with one of your staff, had not been in for a drink but was the other side of the road and my wife who has health issue was having an episode and unable to get up, it would have been easy to assume that she was drunk and left her to it however a young girl working for you came over showed concern and helped me, I cannot thank her enough she was amazing, what a fantastic example of how amazing people can be, I wish I’d got her name, she really does deserve to be recognised for what she did

Came here for food the other week during the hot weather! The air con wasn't working so it was very warm and very uncomfortable! The table was booked and we weren't notified before we turned up otherwise we would have cancelled. Starters were very nice! Especially the halloumi. I had the sea bass for mains which was very seasoned with salt!! Even the veg tasted very salty

If ‘bare minimum’ was a restaurant, this would be it. We came for a bottomless brunch to celebrate a friend’s wedding and will only be returning under duress. The drinks tasted watered down. The food portions were TINY. Lots of us ordered the vegan breakfast and it was hardly enough to call a full meal. The ‘harissa beans’, which we had expected to be the main event, consisted of about 4 lonely beans fighting for their lives on an otherwise empty plate. But the problems didn’t stop with the vegans - the food was disappointing across the board. If you challenged someone to make a brunch as cheaply as possible this is probably what you’d end up with. To be fair to the staff, they were nice and helpful. But the system is just not set up to cater to any group’s specific needs . One of us asked for eggs to be added to a meal but apparently it was ‘too complicated’. What is too complicated about frying an extra egg?! The one silver lining was that at least the vibes were good. But I suppose that’s to be expected when the whole place is drinking bottomless drinks!

Food was good, nice and clean environment. And the team was really polite and helpful. Matt who took our order was great, he recommended which plate to go with cause I was between 2 dishes. Food it took sometime not too long to be fair but he made sure to come and check on us and give us an update and apologised for the delay. Even tho didn’t really felt that time had passed. Beautiful pub in the heart of Bristol with premises in the basement and tables outside. At the moment of our visit (7th of June) there wasn't a good choice of my favorite stouts but many kinds of other beers.

Great beer selection and the guy being the bar was really informative and friendly.

Excellent underground beer hall. 24 taps with a good range catering for all and a few cask beers at the end of the bar. Brilliant beer fridges with a high quality selection of Belgian beers. The only thing that would make it better would be having a menu (or qr code) with a list of available beers in the fridges so beer snobs (me) can deliberate their choice at the table instead of at the bar!

Really enjoyed it here. Bristol brews on tap. Nice Porter. Great selection. We went into the cellar downstairs to escape the fag smoke outside. Recommended!

Like the vibe here even the beer price is a bit expensive, but you can enjoy the local beer from Bristol brewery factory. The beer named “milk stout “and “ infinity “ are my favourite. 6.10£ a pine of stout. Next time I will definitely try their pizza cos it looks yummy.

Good variety of beer, ale and cider. The bar Downstairs it used to be what looks to be an old wine cellar. A very warm and cosy yet spacious atmosphere. Pizzas look good!!

Nice pub with a terrace located on king street, inside the premises are a caves in the subway. The service is good and the pizzas are delicious. Prices more or less good but perhaps a little higher than in other pubs in the area.Overall a nice place to enjoy a good beer.

A proper vibe for a more alternative photoshoot. Neon lights, arcade games, and that cool, industrial look – it was a blast to shoot here. Perfect for couples who want something non-traditional and a bit rowdy in the best way. We've photographed here twice and BLOODY LOVE it!

Firstly I thought this place would have had more arcade games as advertised but sadly it was lacking, Food wise 100% recommend the flat iron steak and frise....... unreal on how good that was 🤤 Would come back jusy for the food.

Turned away customers because of the shirts we were wearing. Assumed we were a stag do, but were just a male/female work group, local to the area. No drunken antics, no loud shouting, no swearing. Extremely judgemental, no other customers in the place, don't understand the policy or attitude of the staff.

No vibe here. Been to the Cardiff Kongs before, amazing atmosphere, but Bristol? There are literally 3 arcade games and 3 pinball machines? Paid £11 for a double whisky and coke... Do not recommend.

A Bristol institution that lives up to the hype. This long established Jazz Pub on King Street, a stone's throw from the Bristol Old Vic is very much as it always has been. Great for live jazz on the weekend and a fabulous place for a drink on a sunny day! A very mixed clientèle and can be noisy inside, well with a live band that's only to be expected, and lots of basic pub benches outside.

There's always a fantastic atmosphere here that's why we keep returning when we're in Bristol. Some fantastic musicians around can be seen each night.

Great pub to go to to listen to great jazz/swing music. Always something on. Absolutely love a Saturday afternoon listening to JP & Capitol Swing - never fails to get the crowd going.

Great place to hangout with friends. Food is good enough compared to the price. Service is good too. The bathroom could be cleaner and also a bit too cramped to go downstairs. Could be cleaner in general.

I visited The Grain Barge while exploring Bath and Bristol on a wider trip, and it turned out to be a great choice. The setting on the water makes it feel a bit different and adds to the charm straight away. The service was very good — quick, friendly, and efficient. I had a Chardonnay, a lager with lime cordial, and for food went with the lime-battered fish, chips, and mushy peas. The portion was ample, the quality was spot-on, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. Pricing was fair for both food and drinks, and with the combination of quick service, good food, and a lovely view from the barge, the whole experience felt like solid value. Overall, The Grain Barge delivered exactly what I was hoping for — a relaxed meal in a unique setting. I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Bristol, and I’d definitely return myself.

We hosted our engagement party on the Grain Barge and I can’t recommend their venue enough for private parties. The whole team are so accommodating, kind and laid back. Nothing is too much for them. The staff were a huge part of the success of the night, they were so friendly and made everyone feel so welcomed and at ease, they absolutely made mine and my fiancé’s night. Thank you so much. I give them an endless amount of stars! ❤️

I booked the Hold Bar for my wife's birthday party and cannot recommend this venue enough. All staff were attentive and helpful, setting up was simple and the venue have their own PA and lights so our DJ could just plug in. The atmosphere and views across the harbour are amazing and the food we ordered was absolutely spot-on, both in taste and that the venue provided all the plates, cutlery and so on. Value for money is excellent, the location brilliant, the staff totally wonderful. Love this place!

Been coming here for years - whenever I'm in Bristol, it's a must do. Great cider, lovely setting (on a boat), dogs allowed, outdoor seating for those sunny days/balmy evenings. Great place :)

Very nice outdoor cider place, quite appropriately named 🍊 There isn't really a whole lot more to say. It is obviously self-service, tables and benches are clean, nice big tents / umbrellas for those rare occasions where it rains. I'm no cider aficionado, but I enjoyed my pint of Kingston Black.

Did not get food but the drinks were very nice. Visited on a rainy afternoon and the staff were lovely.

Bar staff were nice and friendly, had a couple of fruity ciders (not fizzy) and a Bristol blend cider. Sat on the benches outside, which were quiet enough to hold a conversation easily. Nice place. Went at about 9pm on a weekday, child was allowed to sit on the benches outside, not allowed on the boat unless going to use the toilets. Only detractor being the amount of homeless walking through asking for change, but that is more of a Bristol wide problem.

Dave, Luli and Deio are the best hosts ever. Very personable and will be brining family and friends back because of them .

Very cool vibes! We had ciders, no food. They have outside seating, but you can also sit inside the boat (upper or lower deck). The lower deck has a bar and games available your group can play.

Flight Club is such a great group outing - great cocktails and sharing plates as well. We ordered two HUGE pizzas and their new summer ‘in bloom’ cocktails are super juicy, refreshing and pretty 😍 I loved the Just Peachy and, surprisingly, as I don’t reallly like aperol, I enjoyed the Amalfi Nights. Booked an hour slot for my wife and I, we pre booked food, margarita pizza plus cheese and bacon loaded fries, both were tasty and well presented, good selection of drinks, the service was prompt. Neither of us are dart players but we both thoroughly enjoyed playing the different game modes.

A fantastic evening. I haven't played darts for years, but the gamification meant that it was varied and interesting, as well as allowing those with a lower skill level to have fun too. The staff were great, venue nice and novel and the selection of drinks was good.

This place is a really cool (pun intended) concept. The frozen drinks are creative takes on cocktails and there’s something for everyone. They also have a long list of more classic cocktails, still with some fun options. Really cozy vibes and very friendly place.

Now this is an amazing cocktail bar! Service was quick and attentive and all the cocktails we chose were gorgeous, we couldn’t decide which flavour was the best! Will definitely come back here.

Stumbled into Brosen Bar and left with history in a glass. With the help of the absolute legend Keanu (clearly named after his mum’s Hollywood crush – respect), we invented what I am now calling the best cocktail in the world: the reverse Coca-Cola iced tea float. It’s ridiculous, it’s beautiful, and it’s dangerously drinkable. The vibes? Perfect. Warm, cosy lighting, friendly faces behind the bar, and the kind of creative energy that makes you think, “Yeah, why not freeze a cocktail and turn it into dessert?” Brosen isn’t just a bar – it’s where brilliant ideas meet alcohol and magic happens.

Oh my the big lebowski ice cream cocktail was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted in my life. Super cool vibe, guys were really nice and so many other things we could have tried!

So we went on a busy night which might affect this review. The cocktails at this bar, although pricey, are actually very good. There was love music from a brilliant band, which really added to the atmosphere. The let down however was in trying to order food, it pretty much has to be done online unless you want to stand at the bar for an age, this was hindered by the fact we had no way to know our table number, it was also hindered by the fact the webpage was rubbish it was difficult to order multiples of the same food item and especially difficult to order things for certain dietary requirements. All in all i'd say if you want a few good cocktails and some live music then this is your place, if you're looking for food then try somewhere else.

This venue is gorgeous, the food is great and the service is superb Non alcoholic cocktails are a little steep but I'm used to that and the one I had was tasty The food itself is a good price though could benefit from a little better spice blends on the spicier foods. I will admit I'm not Cuban so I don't know if the flavour pallets are a deliberate choice but they seemed a bit blander than I'd have liked Really nice atmosphere and staff are lovely. Looking forward to visiting again in the future

Nicely situated on the harbour promenade with a picturesque view over the river and Peros Bridge. Lovely interior. Sufficient service. Pleasant atmosphere. Generous offer available: enjoy your lunch for only £ 7.95 p.p ( one of any dishes + soft or hot drink of your choice). If you love spicy food, this Cuban cuisine is definitely your cup of tea; highly nutritional and tasty. Marinated chicken in a bowl and Slow cooked shredded beef burrito was our choice then. Delicious! Portions are really generous. Why not try Café Cubano - espresso coffee brewed in a traditional Cuban way ?! Highly recommended indeed!!

When I arrived at the reception was nobody to greet me, after few minutes of waiting girl came (brown hairs, glasses, slim) . I enquired for a bit more not so loud place to sit (as music was on loudest - I understand is Saturday but for lunch time is too much), she sat me completely under the speaker. After sitting at the table, I have noticed everyone has been given Hawaiian leis - apart me. Ordered "Cuban" salad and glass of wine. It took good 15/20min when table next to me (3ladys) sat, they have ordered few cocktails and those drinks arrived first before mine glass of wine. Food arrived first and I needed to chase to get someone's attention to ask where was my drink. As table next to me already received second round of drinks! Nobody offered table water, nobody came to check on food and to check on me. Cuban salad? That was some joke, old brown salad, chunky red cabbage mixed up with tomatoes and cucumber, no sauce - definitely not worth it money. Staff seemed more interested in chatting with each other than be looking after customers. At that time it was not busy at all and definitely could have been better service. I could of easy just walk out without paying and nobody would notice that. Overall I will not be recommending this place to anyone due to poor service and awful food. If you go wrong with simplest dish such as - salad. So, I only can imagine what's going on with other pre - made and pre - cooked food at this place.

I recommend going to this place on Sundays. Why?! Because on Sundays, there is no limit time and you can enjoy all the drinks in a buy one, and get one for free fire 10 pounds. It is really amazing. Huge place. A bit chaotic during the week however for a proper private experience, go Sunday and be happy. ❤️

Love the Rummer, been floating around here since 1241. Biggest selection of spirits I've seen in Bristol, and amazing cocktails. The staff are so attentive and full of fun facts about the history of Bristol.

Wouldn’t usually write reviews but honestly, the kindness and professionalism of the staff meant I just had to. We visited as a large group and Kenzie was ever so kind, he went above and beyond to ensure we all had a pleasant visit. He even showed us the historical parts of the building and gave us some facts about the Rummer’s history. We were also kindly offered to taste some gins which was a very nice touch. This kind of service is very rare in this day and age. Cosy atmosphere and a warm setting too.

I recently used Stasher to book a place to store my luggage, and the service was excellent. The whole process was simple and straightforward. I signed up quickly using my Google Account, entered my details, and within less than 20 minutes I had secured a spot to leave my bags and enjoy my day. The booking system is very intuitive: you register, check the map, select a location, confirm your booking, pay, drop off your luggage, and you’re free to make the most of your time. Everything worked smoothly, and I found it a brilliant and well-designed service.

Great gins and really knowledgeable staff. Only popped in for a quick gin but staff were really keen to explain in depth about the gins and how they are created etc.

Lovely Bristol bar with great service. We went there for a little Christmas gathering and we got to sit next to the magnificent fireplace, which was lovely. The service was great, the bar tenders are really lovely and the drinks were nice as well. Definitely recommend for a great Christmas outing.

We picked up takeaway from Small bar on a Friday night! We got burgers, dirty chips and wings! Everything was excellent and tasted amazing. The dirty chips were definitely my favourite. Worth a visit for drinks, but definitely try some food as well.

I've visited small bar many times since arriving in Bristol as a student 11 years ago and it is always a complete treat. They continue to keep the beer selection interesting and exceptional, with the occasional completely weird beer. The food is amazing-- so much better than you'd expect for pub food. Lots of options for vegetarians.

Great atmosphere and a great selection of ales. Only 2 ciders one fizzy and one still. Also a good selection of gins and tequilas (this I can attest too as multiple tequilas had!) Food would be 5 stars but I just wish they had a BBQ option to the nub chicken dirty fries. Koreans sauce is also good but I honestly believe that a smokey BBQ option would really hit the drunk spot ever so nicely. But it you love gravy and Korean sauce this place will already hit for you! 5* for the staff atmosphere really a warm Bristol welcome and smile (from a former Bristolian!)

Not as small as expected! Good selection of beers, less cider choices. Slightly snippy staff when I last went here but still had an enjoyable pint in the warm weather outside.

Out in a Tuesday mid Sept. So not representative, but.. What a lovely pub. I went for the craft beer and wasn't disappointed. Not many stronger ones on. Had a Deya, so that's a great start. We came here on a Sunday afternoon for a roast after hearing a good recommendation from my friend who lives locally. The inside was colourful with a unique decor. The staff were friendly and welcoming. My only complaint was that we ordered and it took a lengthy time for the food to arrive. However, the food was worth the wait as the generous portions were all delicious and cooked beautifully. The roast beef was one of the best I've ever had!

Great events, music is always groovy! First time having the Sunday roast today; a HEARTY portion. Expensive but delivers. Slow roasted Lamb was excellent. Gravy, full of oomph. Staff were lovely. My company thought the service was slow which was probably why the vegetables (red cabbage, two carrots and three peas) and potatoes weren’t singing songs of flavour. The potatoes lacked the fluffiness I’m after in the perfect ‘Tater. A cauliflower cheese is our litmus test for a good roast and so far, the best we’ve had in Bristol. Would go again

I came here with the family. Excellent food, great pints but what really stood out was the service. If only more stars were an option. A bubbly, energetic and handsome young man named Felix waited on our table. He had my mum cracking up laughing which I hadn’t seen her do since the divorce. Will definitely be back here again!

Great bar with area to sit outside... I think they have Pop Up food that changes every few months but the burgers we had were amazing. Also pretty good tunes Just don't expect to get served quickly at the bar when busy

Came here as it listed as one of the 11 best roast dinners in Bristol according to the Best of Bristol list and I have to say everything except the beef was amazing. I like my roast beef a bit pink but this was pretty much rare which was hard to cut and chew. The cauliflower cheese was amazing and all the veg, needed more potatoes though ! Quirky decor like everything I've been in that area and very friendly staff. Marking down one star because of the beef and it is very pricey but definitely worth a try.

This place was amazing! Just the job when you are hungry. This is a very cool place to hang out but nobody seemed to mind that we were there too (we were the oldest people there). The food was excellent, the service was fast and efficient. I would definitely go here again next time I'm in the area.

Nice spot on Stokes Croft, really good selection of local beers and drinks combined with a good selection of food in the kitchen. It appears the menu is Vegan only, so that may sway you one way or another.

What a totally great find for a Sunday afternoon late lunch. Cool relaxing ambience in eclectic setting. Very friendly staff. What a lovely team. Veggie roast dinner had so many flavours and importantly not overcooked. In retrospect wish I'd have taken a photo as presentation and colour was utterly delightful. Delicious too. Great veggie find and would 100% return next time in Bristol.

July 24 - why have we left it so long!? Again, super friendly helpful staff. Everything we ordered was delicious. Menu changes regularly, and staff can advise. Our favourite, smashed potatoes were slightly different but loved this variation. Sharing board was great. Heritage tomatoes, great. 2 different burgers, both great. Highly recommend the mushroom one (NOT a portobello mushroom) Everything was great! June 23 - Great attentive staff. Quite busy even at 5pm. But food arrived quickly, and every dish (6) was absolutely delicious. At this point, I would normally tell you about the vegetarian choices, but everything is either vegetarian or vegan. Spoilt for choice. Definitely going back.

OMG … A Definite One 2 Visit We had a wander around town for the afternoon and then headed over to try out our latest Vegan / Plant based restaurant find. The food was absolutely superb - Some of the tastiest food we’ve had in a long time at vegan restaurants. Many are good quality, this was excellent!! 👌 It would be nice to see slightly more attention to detail and also some more vegan options for cakes or desserts but otherwise a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Bristol institution in Stokes Croft with excellent veggie/vegan Sunday roasts. Highly recommend the seitan roast as my personal favourite, they have pretty good coffee as well. The ambience is very hipster and cosy, and service is very good. It's about 16£ for a roast which I think is a bit high for a meal, but definitely worth it.

I recently visited Dirty Martini on Corn Street and was seriously impressed. The vibe is energetic yet classy, with stylish interiors and a great playlist in the background. We came for the bottomless brunch and were not disappointed—presentation was stunning (the food came out in a gorgeous birdcage stand!), and there was a fantastic selection of cocktails to choose from. The bartenders were on point—friendly, fast, and clearly knew their stuff. My martini was perfectly balanced, and I could tell the team takes real pride in their craft. Service was super smooth throughout our visit, and despite being busy, we never felt rushed.

Best time ever, we went on a Wednesday for bottomless brunch. It was a really nice atmosphere, not busy at all. Beautiful interior and decorations. Really good service from the fabulous molly, so attentive and friendly and also assuring we were topped up at all times. The cocktails were on point! We managed to have 14 each… Food was a lot nicer than I expected! We really enjoyed the tempura prawn and jerk burgers. Had a great time and would definitely recommend, really good value for money and fantastic service all round.

I’ve been to Dirty Martini Bristol a few times now, but this last visit was easily the best. The atmosphere is always stylish and fun, perfect for a night out or a special brunch, but what made it stand out was the service — especially from the bar team. My brother works there as a bartender, and it’s always amazing to see him in action. You can tell he and the rest of the team really know their craft. The drinks were perfectly made — I had a martini that was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. You can feel the attention to detail with every pour. Even if I weren’t biased, I’d still say the staff here are a big part of what makes the experience great. Friendly, professional, and quick, even when it’s packed.

I came here for a date night, knowing the cocktails and service is usually good. However, after visiting on Monday night - the servers were rude and dismissive, prioritising certain customers over us, despite being in the queue for significantly longer. As well as that, we ordered 2 of the same cocktails, they were different colours and different sizes. The woman before us received a perfectly filled and coloured martini with ours being very different to hers in all aspects. Myself and the friend that accompanied me work in cocktail bars ourselves and so we were very disappointed with the service we received. I look forward to your reply and/or explanation for this inconsistant service?

Molly was absolutely fantastic from start to finish during our bottomless brunch. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with such a warm and genuine smile, instantly making us feel welcome and looked after. Throughout the entire experience, Molly was incredibly attentive — making sure our glasses were never empty, checking in regularly to see if we needed anything else, and doing it all with such a friendly, positive attitude. She seemed to anticipate what we needed before we even asked, which made the whole afternoon feel seamless and relaxed. The way she managed to juggle everything so effortlessly while still making us feel like nothing was too much trouble was honestly so impressive. She kept the drinks flowing, our table clear, and made sure everyone was happy and enjoying themselves. Her energy, professionalism, and kindness really elevated the whole experience, turning a good afternoon into an amazing one. We couldn’t have asked for better service and we left feeling so well taken care of, thanks entirely to Molly’s brilliant attention and incredible hospitality.

A small but interesting venue. They've got a variety of parties on - I attended a metal gig - and the service is good. Great sound. I'll definitely come back for more.

Great live music venue in a great area of Bristol. Superb bands, Sounds of Seattle night. Lost one star, be aware there is no seating inside to speak of. We had gone to see a multi-band gig, so a long night to be standing all the time. I appreciate you can get more people in, but we're not all twenty.

Cracking 'small venue' for bands. I've been going to watch bands at the Fleece for a good few years now and still love it. Drink prices are about average for a small venue and we should remember that drinks are a significant part of keeping these venues open. I can highly recommend looking up what's on af the Fleece.. You might be surprised who you see.

Had a great couple of hours here with my 11 year old son at the Metallica Reloaded gig on 4th July (start ‘em young)! (Made sure I read their informative web page on kids at gigs beforehand). Very friendly but professional security staff. Saw a GnR tribute act a few years ago here too. No issues back then either. Highly recommended!

Disappointing experience today. First time eating here and it was not good. We ordered 2 wraps but when the food arrived we were told they ran out of wraps so they had used sub rolls instead. We weren’t asked whether this was okay, or if we wanted the sourdough subs as an alternative, but seeing as the food was already brought to us we said it was fine. The sub rolls were completely stale and practically inedible, it was actually laughable. Really unsure how the chef didn’t notice this. Chicken was overdone, and the chips were way over salted too. The waitress was lovely and did ask whether we wanted the food to be remade but we were starving and honestly couldn’t see the point when it would probably happen again. Would I eat here again? No. Would I still come in for a drink? Yes.

Came for bottomless brunch on a bank holiday Sunday and could not fault it. One of my party was about half hour late and the waitress very kindly didn’t start the 2hour brunch until everyone had arrived so we didn’t miss out! I had nachos which was a sizeable portion. Plenty of choice on the menu so something for everyone. Drinks were not juiced down at all and again lots of choice. For £35 each I really could not find any fault and will be recommending for bottomless brunch!

Just popped in for a spot of lunch and best spot of lunch we had highly recommend this pub burgers were delicious and best we have ever had will be back for more thank you to the chef.

This is a great pub on the busy Gloucester Road. Plenty of tables and a great menu. Plenty of food options and there are also special nights. A good selection of drinks including non-alcoholic beers. The food has always been good here and great portions. Popular with students, its best to go early if you want a quiet get together with friends.

SECURITY GUARD WAS ABSOLUTELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. THEY USE THREATENING LANGUAGE WHICH IS ILLEGALLY. NORMAL MIDDLE AGED ADULT WERE REFUSED TO GET IN because they are not a student. Pubs suppose to allow anyone in, not just students. However the bartender is friendly and pubs atmosphere is 5 star. Great selection of drinks.

Excellent bottomless brunch! The staff member serving us was Kotryna, she was, amazing. The drinks were flowing, the food was prompt and hot. No complaints whatsoever. You may think this is just a pub but it’s a firm repeat choice for bottomless brunch for us. I had a giant bucket of wings, for the less gluttonous there were lighter options that were well reviewed. Something for everyone at this place. Will come again!

Went for a Eurovision Drag Brunch- so much fun! Asked what we wanted to pick from the menu and which pitcher of drink we wanted straight away, and everything came out so quickly and was delicious. The rest of the afternoon was stunning, loads of dancing and laughs. Served by Lauryn who was super sweet- loved their style as well. Definitely would go again 💛💛💛

We absolutely love it in here, every time we come to Bristol we always make sure to come in. The service, music and atmosphere is just 10/10. While having some early birthday celebrations last night an accident did happen which I did cut my foot, they were all so lovely and very helpful. In particular Imogen, was so so lovely in helping clean my foot and make sure I was okay, even checking in the day after! Just made me love it even more in there! Thank you again for the help 💘💘💘 in general though such a cute bar!!x

Booked Alcotraz Bristol for my Partner’s 30th, and had an excellent experience from start to finish - they very kindly added a ticket to their website as there were six tickets left and we needed seven, they also placed a stool at the end of the cell so we could sit together on the day which was really lovely of them! The immersive experience was fantastic, I’m an avid theatre fan so I knew I was going to love it, but the whole group had such a laugh and were talking about it for the rest of the day! The cocktails were of a really high quality (well worth the money for those alone!!), and the actors were truly brilliant - they interacted with us just enough for us to feel involved, but still gave us space to hang out and enjoy the experience. The only improvement I’d suggest is for the story/performance segments to move around or be positioned at different areas of the room throughout the experience, so all cells can have a ‘front row’ view of the performance as it mostly took place near the ‘kitchen’ and we found it difficult to see through the bars from the opposite side of the room - our group also needed to sit on both sides of the cell as we had a group of seven to one cell, so it meant three people had to have their backs to the actors for the story scenes and could only listen to them, as it wasn’t comfortable or spacious enough for them to turn around to watch; this wouldn’t be an issue for couples or smaller groups though, and our group still loved the experience as a whole; I’d definitely go again and would recommend to others looking for something a little different!

We had an absolute hoot, was a last minute. We literally had so much fun. The actors were brilliant. Really good at what they did…. “Cassie” really stood out as an actor - should be on the stage. The drink set up is really good idea. Would defo be back.

Had an amazing time at Alcotraz Bristol! The whole prison-themed experience was super fun and creative—from sneaking in your own bottle to the actors playing the guards and warden. The staff stayed in character the whole time and made it feel like we were in a movie. The cocktails were top-notch, tailored to our taste, and served in a super theatrical way. Great for something different on a night out—definitely recommend it for groups, birthdays or even date nights. Will be back for sure!

More fun than I ever expected! Alcatraz Bar in Bristol totally blew me away. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it ended up being one of the most unique and hilarious nights out I’ve ever had. From the moment we stepped inside, the actors never broke character—me and my friend were laughing non-stop. It’s like a wild mash-up between an escape room and a top-tier cocktail bar. You “smuggle” in your own unopened liquor (which already feels like part of the game), and the bartenders—sorry, inmates—whip up amazing, custom cocktails based on what you bring. The whole thing is comedy gold, and the immersive experience just makes it even better. I’m now completely obsessed and already planning to go back with everyone I know. If you’re looking for something offbeat, interactive, and genuinely hilarious—this is it.

Holy Cow! Holy Cow has been my go to burger at festivals for years so what fantastic surprise to find they’re doing a pop at The Love In! The secret recipes carry well and are well adhered to. Probably the best burger you’ll ever have. I’m not joking.

Not been here for a little while and forgot what a cool little venue this place is. Friendly security, great quick bar service and always good vibes. Love the architectural lighting sound quality is great! Big up team love!

Recently went to KASK for a cheese and Pet Nat wine event and it was brilliant! A relaxed atmosphere and a brilliant, knowledgeable sommelier Sarah who talked us through the tasting wines. The interiors are really lovely and the event was a perfect small group activity. Really recommend!

We recently held our wedding celebrations at KASK, and could not have asked for a better day. The space, the team, the food, THE WINE! Charlie and team went above and beyond to make us feel special and listened to. There was no stress - great communication before the private hire, and check ins during the event. In advance of our celebration, we met to discuss specific wines and other drink options, and Charlie made sure to get these in for us. All of which were delicious. We had many guests who didn't know volumes about wine, but the team were able to offer thoughtful recommendations that made every one feel looked after, despite it being a busy day! The cheese/charcuterie platters were locally sourced and delicious. Finally, as a queer couple we have always (on our many visits) been made to feel comfortable, safe and welcome at Kask. This was one of the main reasons in selecting this venue also. Great vibes, perfect wine and the most welcoming team. 10/10 recommend <3

Such a lovely North Street spot. Cosy, full of ambience and staff who are both friendly and knowledgeable - just what a wine bar should be. I had a glass of 'bone dry' rosé which was excellent. We will be returning for more wine - and cheese next time.

I had a great time for my birthday a few weeks ago when I hired out KASK on a Saturday night. Charlie and the team were great hosts and made sure I had the best evening possible! Delicious wines, beautiful venue including a lovely courtyard out the back. I wasn’t the only one who appreciated KASK, as all 50 people that came gave glowing reviews the next day! I went for my birthday at the weekend and had a 'light touch' wine tasting. The member of staff who did the tasting was fun, friendly and informative. The tasting itself was fun as we had to try and match the wines to the descriptions. All the wines were SO delicious. The communication via email prior to my booking was also timely and helpful!

Wine bars often have a rustic, contemporary, or sophisticated feel but instead it felt neglected, in need of face lift. The outside needs a good clean, the decking is old and the stairs are falling apart and are a slip hazard. You could easily fix them with 2 hours work. They need sanding down and some non slip stair treads added. The plants all look half dead and the tables need some candles or lanterns added for atmosphere. You could go online and kit the garden out for less than £100. Staff should carry out the wine and drinks to the table not the customer. The plates look like they come from ikea. Both times I've been here staff have forgotten to bring the cheese and I've had to get up and ask again at the bar. Tables weren't cleared either, there were empty bottles and glasses on the tables. A dress code for the staff wouldn't go amiss and I wouldn't trust the hygiene levels considering the staff were handling cash and touching their faces to then go to the back to prepare the food. You need to take inspiration from your European counterparts where customer service is viewed as an art. Whoever is in charge of this place needs to seriously reassess how it's being managed.

KASK is more than a wine bar - it is a cultural institution preserving and promoting the notion of 'terroir' for wines. They understand that products from the land aren't just functional, they are unique living things that when nurtured and picked at the right time can create once in a lifetime experiences. We booked a private tasting event at KASK to entertain sponsors, speakers and delegates of a sustainability focussed conference in Bristol happening the next day. Charlie and the team were wonderful at making us feel welcome. They selected very interesting wines bringing to life the people, land and stories behind the drink. Did you know there was wine being made in Chew Valley by a Druid? Being on theme Charlie also explained to us how mass market wine ariculture is contributing to climate change and land degradation - another good argument to select your wine carefully from an independent merchant supporting your local economy. Say no to shit wine and shop local. Better for you, your community and the planet.

I had the most enchanting time in this cozy and warm venue. The vibe was right, the drink were cold, the staff was amazing. Big thanks to David, Dee or maybe Bee, Jaz, Ashley, and the other lovely person I spoke to very briefly. All very efficient and friendly. I asked for a bunch of off the menu cocktails and they were all made to match my high expectations.

Lovely atmosphere x Cocktails - not so much ( good if u prefer your drinks lighter) And service was definitely over-attentive with wanting to clear our glasses and get the table back asap (given there were other empty tables service could deffo been more relaxed :0)) PS. We left after three rounds and went to Her Majesty’s Secret Service round the corner — not as fancy, but the cocktails were deffo stronger & with more pinch to it.

My fries were so salty and warm too, exactly as they should be🤠 The plant-based burger tasted a bit strange but we all have different taste buds so I didn't mind too much! Already visited this place few times for different options of Vegan food. Always impressed by the service of Magda, she is so polite and paying attention in details. We will visit again because of her service that make our meal perfect. Ofcause the food and environment is very nice.

A well balanced experience. We went for a quick snack and bite. The ambiance is very nice and they seemed to be taking cleanliness and covid regulations very seriously. The customer service and waiting time could be improved if they added more staff on their shifts. Staff that were working were doing their best but you could easily notice the lack of staff, this caused a few unpleasant things that impacted the customer service negatively. Will visit again, hoping next time P&P will be placing customer service above of reducing their costs on their priority list.

My favourite go-to bar. Held my 30th here and the staff were very accommodating. Food is quite good and they hold quite a lot of events at this place: Speed Dating, Brush parties. All great fun. The music is quite load at times when it shouldn't be. I get it when at Fridays and the weekends they have a DJ, that the volue increases after he starts, but beforehand (on a Thursday) sitting next to a meal, it would be good to be able to hear each other. But I guess this is how it goas for all bar/restaurants nowadays. As this is not the first place I encountered this. Great venue nonetheless, right on the harbourside. With heated smoking sections right outside and a great selection of drinks at the bar.

Came on a Sunday evening for dinner, Georgina was very attentive and friendly. First time we have ever ate here and would certainly come back. We are vegetarian and they had loads of options! Would highly recommend the halloumi burger!

We came here for Valentine’s Day, and we had a lovely evening. The staff were so lovely and friendly. The food we had was absolutely amazing. The salmon was gorgeous and full of flavour and moisture. It was seasoned well. I loved the presentation of our dishes. The atmosphere was very warm, welcoming, and intimate. We had some lovely cocktails and the service was excellent. We got asked if we wanted olives and focaccia, which we thought was complimentary as we already ordered starters, but we had to pay for it. At least we know for next time, as I’d definitely go back to this restaurant.

Me and my partner came here for food and we loved our meals. We went for two pizzas and a mini desert with cocktail. The cocktails were really good quality and well made and the wine was good value. Ella one of our servers was great and really attentive. It’s a shame it wasn’t busy as we had a great time and will definitely go back x

10/10. I came the other night when the weather was lovely and was excited to eat outside. The team were so accommodating, I didn’t have to wait long for food. The calamari and the chicken pasta were brilliant. Will be definitely coming back again when I’m next in Bristol

In all honestly, the service and presentation was decent but the food; starters, main, etc… was all really bad, very oily, off tasting (like off defrosted food), we had less than half of our mains (burger and pizza) and had to leave everything behind, it felt like a real waste of money. Maybe it was a bad day, but wouldn’t recommend.

We had 4 beautiful steaks cooked to perfection and the sauces were delicious. The House Red was the best I've had at a restaurant - so mellow and easy to drink. We were well looked after by our waitress, Olga, who was so polite and pleasant throughout our visit. The reataurant decor is fab and provides the right ambience for a lovely meal anytime of the day.

10/10 for the roast dinner, we all said it was very good. My partner & I had the sticky toffee for pud, let the meal down a bit - very stodgy like a brownie texture? So we only ate half. Music was louder than you’d expect / get in most places, which was nice. Made a better atmosphere rather than a posh silent place. Would definitely go back for the roast dinner

We came here as a large group and all I can say is great things. Olga, our server, was so incredibly attentive and helpful. I have an allergy and she made sure I had alternatives for my drinks which I thought was a really great touch. The food and drinks were delicious and tasty - my margarita pizza was made very well All in all, this place i’d heavily recommend for a bottomless brunch!

Words cannot describe how bad this food was 😅 literally ate it because I would have been paraletically drunk if I didn't! The service was veryyyy ropey to start with. Arguing over the phone with a manager as we were running 30 minutes late for our booking (coach was late) and he wanted to deduct the time from our brunch... To then be told the entire table had to order prosecco brunch or cocktail brunch. With only 3 of us, two wanting cocktails and one wanting prosecco only, what a strange rule... They let us in the end 🙃 It did redeem itself with the CONSTANT topping up. Our glasses were literally always full. If you want a bottomless "brunch" where the goal is to get rather tipsy, this is your place. Nice cocktail bar with good food, but the music is just to loud for any kind of conversation. Been here 3 times already. I can definitely recommend all their cocktails. Some of them are a real showstopper, but it is impossible to hear each other over the loud music. It is not a club, so I have no idea why the music needs to be so loud.

Went for the bottomless brunch, we were a big party and took a while to actually get our drinks to start with but they were prompt to fill up our glasses during the rest of the meal! Food arrived quickly and was well presented, the Rainbow Bagel tasted amazing, highly recommend! Only downside is we just had 90 minutes, as a big group we were rushed from our table at the end. Atmosphere and decor was brilliant though and excellent value for money!

One of the friendliest, most creative and amazing bars I've ever been to. Staff were so friendly and helpful despite being super busy. The sheer speed and accuracy of making the drinks as well as the entertainment of setting drinks on fire, spinning the cocktail shakers and other tricks was phenomenal! What I LOVED is that while recommending drinks, they also took the time to double check if we had any allergies (which we did) and thoroughly explained which drinks to avoid of we were allergic or disliked a certain type of alcohol. They recommended which drinks would be nice depending on our tastes. There are A LOT of different types of drinks, all based off of alchemy or potions. The also have a range "antidotes" which were non alcoholic mocktails. We had a cauldron with 75% rum punch in. Strong but tasty! It was set alight before our eyes with dry ice creating an overflowing mist, very cool! We also had a kiwi shot and a Lychee martini which was flavourful. With many different flavours to choose and try, we will need to go back. We came at a busy time and the tables were full. We went outside and the friendly bouncer helped us to find some empty seats underneath a heated light that kept us warm. Overall a fantastic experience! Will be back!

Great value for money! Although it started extremely slow and the first round of drinks too a fair amount of time to come out, Luke was fantastic and turned things around quickly for us. Fantastic service from him. Food was actually amazing, most brunches give you small platters but we all had something different from the menu and all the food looked and tasted fantastic. I personally went for the rainbow bagel and oh wow. Perfect. Top tip, get a bottle of Prosecco first as that is quick for them to bring our and then order your cocktails whilst you’re drinking that bottle. We all really enjoyed the brunch, best value for money & the vibe was good. What could be improved… toilets weren’t kept ontop of and 3 times we used it there was no loo roll.

Great place, nice decor and especially lovely staff! Just a tad bit pricey, was £42 pp for food and two drinks each. The flaming cocktail is a great gimmick, loved it. Food is decent, but not the best value. I'd say come here for the drinks!

Beer masterclass with Vilte was excellent. Learned loads and got to sample some tasty beers, with a meal afterwards what's not to like! Great way to spend a few hours on a Saturday!

Really impressed! The front-of-house team were genuinely lovely. A friendly gentleman at the bar welcomed us and showed us straight to our well-reserved table. Ami and Vilte were incredibly warm and welcoming, both with big smiles on their faces. Ami took her time walking us through the menu—since we were using a voucher, there were a few limitations, but she explained everything calmly and helpfully. Vilte served our food and kept checking in to see how we were doing. At one point, she saw us taking a selfie and immediately offered to take a photo for us—such a thoughtful gesture. The food came out quickly. The pork belly was beautifully soft and tender, and the gravy had just the right balance—not too sweet. Each plate looked like a piece of art, with flavours that worked perfectly together. I also noticed a table with a dog, and without being asked, Ami brought over a water bowl straight away. That kind of attention to detail really stood out. A solid 10/10 for both food and service. Highly recommended!

Came for the first time to the Bristol Brew house and kitchen, just excellent 👌 we did the beer experience with Walt and Tom - the guys were excellent and so informative. Highly recommended. Black IPA is the best beer in the house, never change it. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

It's not uncommon for bars in Bristol to have a great selection of beers but Brewhouse and Kitchen does shine through. Not only does their selection stand out, their bar staff know the products inside and out. Vilte went above and beyond to describe each beer in great detail, from the brewing process to tasting notes, all with a very friendly and welcoming manner! She is an absolute credit to the bar and I particularly liked her personal recommendation, Nebula!

Great place to have a pint after a long day of work! The foods here are excellent as well as the K&G burger was cooked to perfection and the sea bass was soft and succulent. The BBQ chicken wings were spot on. However, I do wish the portion of the burger goes up a bit as the patties and the buns were quite small. The legend crafted lager was a beauty as it was refreshing and tasty.

£3.50 for a happy hour pint? Yes, please! Great deal and a nice spot to unwind—definitely worth popping in during happy hour.

We did the beer tasting with Vilte who was amazing. Great selection of beers. Vilte was very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about the origin of beer and the difference between a lager, APA and IPA and also cask and kegs. The Brewhouse APA Tear Drop was particularly good

Our first time and we fell in love! What a wonderful place to be, just as a lovely place, but then there is the gorgeous old (1800's) theatre and all its history. The reception area is 'new', added on to the original frontage and it is stunning. We didn't want to leave! Beautiful old theater with no bad seats. Plenty of bathrooms, which is unusual for a theater with everyone trying to go at intermission. Drinks are reasonably priced and you can take them into the theaoto enjoy during the show.

This is a great venue, it's such a beautiful building. Ideal for a variety of events. A lot of the original features remain, or have been replaced like for like. Much of the original brickwork, and flooring remain throughout the building. The modern meets historical vibe works well for this venue. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. Bar staff, reception, front of house, ushers, all make the space feel so welcoming. The lift might have been out of order, but they have a series of contingency plans, and everyone is able to access the venue. A lovely night was had, when 3 of us came to see Rosie Jones. (She was as fabulous as ever) A special shout out to Rowan who was so helpful from the moment we arrived, to the moment we left. There were several sets of toilets: Gender neutral Male Female Disabled I used the gender neutral toilets, and as I suspected, was absolutely fine! These toilets are great for single parents and carers of opposing genders, who may need to enter the space. Or, rather bizarrely, someone like me who just needed the loo! More spaces should consider installing gender neutral loos.

Saw a comedian and loved the not-so-huge theatre setting, very intimate … fabulous building where modern meets old.

Like the calendar of performances, the facilities are good. The latest update ticketing system and reminders to links to drinks ordering are really good. It is always a very friendly theatre but can get busy so not easy to get around with a full house. The only issue often is finding seats with clear view to stage. The seats can often have limited leg room so be careful when booking. Otherwise, we continue to enjoy performances at the Old Vic, Private Lives was excellent.

We enjoyed Paper Dolls. Expensive but very yummy muffin. Seating on the side was a little tricky for my daughter to see nicely but all in all it was very enjoyable.

The Lunch club is a very good deal. Any pint and any pizza or hotdog. I suggest to get the pizza, they are good size and ideal for a beer. 🍺

Love this bar, visited many times for their tasty pizzas. What I did not like or feel comfortable with at all was the current arrangement with the 'Unisex' cubicle toilets in such a confined space. I appreciate this is whilst they are having work done on the gents toilets. Let's hope the work is completed soon and the toilet arrangement can revert to normal again...

Excellent bar regular drinks my favourite is punk ipa they also have guest beers at my last visit there where 8. Good location next to the historic Bristol Bridge and castle park. Very friendly and knowledgable staff I would highly recommend a visit.

The Crown might not be my usual go-to, but it certainly has its own character. I enjoyed the beer I had, and the staff and bouncers were all friendly and welcoming. While it may not be my personal favorite, it’s a good place to experience a bit of difference oh and opens till 3am which is wild!

It's got a great venue, but I just like the garden and sitting in St Nicks market... Lots of fun people, always a good place to go and watch the world do it's thing... When I say garden. I mean the venue is technically the seating area out front, even though there's no grass... I call it a garden, and it's nice to sit there any evening..

Dr. Awesomesauce AKA Graham is the funniest guy we’ve ever met. Brought my home friends for a night out in Bristol and pub quiz was undescribably the best way to start the night. I will be back as we had such a good time.

The 4 for £10 pint deal is enticing enough but Tom and his humour was the cherry on top. I highly recommend this place to anyone that likes beer and likes life. Come enjoy!

I used to love the crown but it's always been too quiet and they've somehow made the soundsystem even worst and its even more quiet than it was before, are the subs just for decoration?? Please please get some drivers in them so we can actually dance in the club 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️ On the bright side, the bar staff are really lovely, efficient and good at their jobs and there is a great atmosphere around it sometimes! For that reason I've given it 3 stars which is honestly generous considering I am not going back there for an event unless they sort out better sound so you can actually hear the music the DJs are playing properly...

Went for karaoke last night and was having a great time w friends - but the person hosting (short lady with black hair, plays the saxophone) kind of ruined the first part of the night for a couple of us due to her overly sarcastic comments and just rude demeanor (still had loads of fun though - just wasn’t sure what her deal was). Maybe that’s part of the character of the pub (?). The other staff were sound and are usually sound whenever we/I go to The Crown. Then again it is bank holiday weekend and I probably would be aggy too if I had to work a very busy evening so fair enough. Still a great pub :)))

Visited Bristol last week with one of my main reasons for drinking Cider, so naturally in looking for places to visit beforehand found this place and by the descriptions sounded like my kind of place! Arrived however and opening times did not match what is on Google (Was a Thur and opened at 7 not half 5). The interior is really nice, was greeted when arrived and was served quickly, music was not what I was expecting, asked if the barrels behind the bar had anything in them but was told they are just for show, saw Thatchers Stans pump which is okay was told they dont sell it anymore. Only other Cider was Thatchers varieties - Gold, Haze, couple of fruity ones - No still Ciders available except their own one they fill a glass from a jug, I gave it a try. Drank it quickly then headed back to the many other Cider pubs in Bristol. Inside was nice however not worth the trip if your into your cider

I honestly want to say I love this place, but I think now that I'm no longer a student, it just doesn't have the appeal anymore. They still serve the Exhibition cider, and others, and it'll still get you nice and toasted. But it's really young in there. Looks like everyone is barely 18. As a student this didn't bother me of course and we had plenty of crazy nights here, but as a grown up... it just feels like a very studenty venue. Oh well. If you don't mind that and just want to sample great ciders, this is the place. Staff are super lovely as always!

We came for drinks as we are locals to the area - we were not attempting to do the 10 before 10 challenge at all. After 3/4 half pints my partner and I went outside for a cigarette and were accosted by an elderly lady who told us she was the owner. Despite telling us we were okay to go inside and finish our drinks she followed us inside and harassed our table, attempting to force us to leave. The friends that I was with had gotten another round while we were having a cigarette and one of the young male bartenders accused us of lying and being drunk unruly guests after only 3/4 drinks and despite the venue being packed with university students. Overall a very negative experience and I felt me and my partner were stereotyped for being effeminate while having a cigarette because the manager was quite pleasant until that point. Would not recommend when there are many more accepting pubs that offer the same special cider.

Was literally the stickiest place I've been to, and our friend got kicked out because he sat where someone had previously thrown up and the owner wasn't having it. Good night out though!

Seems you cant get decent cider in Clifton anymore. It’s a Thatchers pub, which is fine when you arent near the cider Mecca of the UK. Do e cask cider or boxes of cider. The fizzy stuff isn’t good enough. Yes, you have the 8% house cider, but there is plenty of middle ground between this and thatchers

Will update this review once I actually go in. Me and my partner went down on a Sunday late afternoon to see that it's closed on a Sundays now but on their Google Business opening hours it says open on Sunday 7-11pm. I have heard many good things about this pub so will update the rating when I go there and when they update that they're not open on Sundays

Used to enjoy a night in here. It had a good atmosphere and good range of ciders. Not anymore. The good atmosphere has gone along with the ciders. Quite a rude welcome by a female on arrival asking how long we would be staying. Never been asked this before at a pub. Perhaps others had also made a quick exit.

I can't imagine visiting Bristol again and not staying here! The hostel is large, the rooms are beautiful, clean, and well-equipped. Everything you need is in one place. Want to make dinner? There's a huge kitchen (with free coffee!). Want to chill out? There's a common room with a TV, games, and books! Want to dance? There's a beer garden and two bars downstairs with different styles of music! The staff was also super helpful. I had huge boxes of music equipment with me (I'm a street musician). They helped me organize and store them. I 200% recommend this place!

An easy to get to hostel, it’s right by the bus exchange station. Rooms are spacious enough and staff are very friendly. I wouldn’t say it’s a very clean hostel, the bathrooms weren’t great and were sometimes out of soap and hand towels. The common area and kitchen was great and big. The pub outside is really good and super social. It’s open till late so if you’re an early sleeper, not the best for you. Overall, a fine hostel and they let you keep your bags there for free after checkout.

I'm not someone who usually gives reviews but the situation makes it necessary. Indeed, when you find yourself in a room that costs £70 a night and you can't sleep before 2am, it's a bit limiting. It's true that it's specified on the site that there are evenings until 2am at weekends, which is perfectly normal and acceptable. You know in advance what you're signing up for and it's always a pleasure to see people enjoying themselves. I'm often one of them. No problem with that. However, 80 decibels in room M above the bar are a little less pleasant. The people and the music outside aren't a problem, it is often of high quality and can lull you to sleep. But the bass in the bar are clearly problematic. Earplugs won't help : you can feel it in the floor, the mattress and your body. You might as well go and sleep in the middle of the motorway or on an airport runway, the night will be quieter. I'm not even sure that this is legal in the sense that if a fire alarm sounds in an adjacent room or the corridor, it's not even certain that it would be audible with that noise. My opinion certainly won't change anything about the policy of the place, which is more a place to party than a hostel. Travellers serve as a useful additional source of income, but their comfort is clearly not highlighted and relegated to last place. In short, know what to expect. Book on the top floor if possible. Avoid room M above the DJ. Or come with the aim of partying until 2am or more. To the owner: soundproof? Seal off the M room? Install double glazing? Lower your prices for the most hardcore rooms? Only things that require a bit of investment, which doesn't seem to be your goal, which seems to be more immediate profitability. While the comfort and safety of your residents, as a hostel, should be paramount.

Loved the venue. I arrived to amazing a house music event in the court yard. I appreciated the proper bed, larger bedrooms than most hostels and the staff were the happiest and most welcoming I’ve ever experienced. I’ll definitely recommend and be back! Love your unique vibe 🥰 Great location with loads of cool street art around.

If you want to party then this place is perfect. If you want to sleep between Thursday and Sunday forget it. The vibe was nice, staff were lovely, the place seemed clean but the noise is impossible to ignore. My only other issue is the bunk beds have no ladders. No you need to be pretty agile to get to your top bunk if you're unlucky enough to get one. Had to check out on day of arrival.

Great staff, it is very loud and the music doesn’t stop until 2am. They did offer us earplugs but if you’re a light sleeper I’d avoid. On the other side, if you’re looking for a party it’s definitely the place to be.

I stayed here for a few days when moving homes. It's extremely cosy, lively and has retained the old world travellers hostel atmos. Attached to a pub, located in Stokes Craft the party district of Bristol, things can get pretty wild in a good way. The walls and woodwork is imbibed with art that Bristol City is famous for, the communal places are cared for and there is always a game going on for you to join in. I had a comfortable stay here; the staff were very helpful and chill. The hostel is across the street from Bristol Bus and Coach station and is well connected. All usual facilies are available here. Not recommended for the early to bed types.

Visited today, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is relaxed yet lively, with a cozy ambiance that's perfect for catching up with friends. The decor has a rustic charm, and the music added a nice vibe without being overpowering

I have been frequenting the bar since I moved close to the neighbourhood. While no thing can be perfect, the staff here is amazing! The tender named Yashi is the one i encounter the most behind bar and I love her. Great conversation, great service and great drinks. What more can I ask from a bar?

I went there for drink on a Friday night. I like the atmosphere there. BUT the dance floor down stairs was horribly packed with too many people. I'm not even sure if it is safe to have that many people. It was difficult to breath. The toilets are on down stairs only so I need to go through the dance floor which wasn't easy at all. The queue for female toilets took ages. These are enough for me not to go there ever again.

The Brass Pig is a nice 2-storey pub on the Triangle in Bristol. The drinks are reasonably priced and there is a good selection. The terrace is lovely to sit outside on when the weather is good. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The Brass Pig is a nice pub in Bristol to drink in during the day and has a good atomsphere at night time. The Brass Pig has live music every Thursday, free entry every night and drink deals every night and they do 2-4-1 cocktails Tuesday & Thursday until 11pm. The Brass Pig is a nice place to go to with friends for drinks. Some of the seating could be improved especially outside on the terrace. Overall The Brass Pig is a clean and modern pub in the heart of Bristol with a good atmosphere and reasonably priced drinks. Open 5pm - 2am Monday - Saturday (except bank holidays). You can also book parties at The Brass Pig and their sister venue Gravity is just along and across the road.

It's a good club if you don't have any other options left you can go for this one.

Ooooooh perfect little spot for a beer on the balcony. Heaters and a sociable setting to catch a little fade. Big up to Hollie for her excellent bartending and extensive knowledge of the menu and big up to Eyez for the shaking vibes 👌
