Indian restaurant

Takeout Restaurant
Coronation Curry House, located on Coronation Road in Bristol, is a hidden gem known for its authentic Indian cuisine. The restaurant offers classic dishes like korma, vindaloo, and madras, prepared with imported spices from Mumbai to maximize flavor. Despite its unassuming exterior, this family-friendly eatery has gained a reputation as one of the best Indian restaurants in Bristol.
Everything was amazing, staff were friendly and useful. My only issue was the lamb Khushboo was meant to be a medium bhuna style sauce but was creamy like the mango korma we ordered and had no spice. Still very nice though, just would have gone for a different curry if I'd known. We were turned off from the garlic chilli chicken because we thought it would be too hot but I guess not if that was medium If I could give 4.5 stars, I would. 4 felt too mean cause it was mostly perfect! Will definitely go again
Declan F — Google review
A small but super friendly Indian restaurant within walking distance of Ashton Gate football stadium We were greeting with a warm smile and a genuine welcome. The food was tasty, especially the onion bhaji starters and the fresh chilli dip to accompany the poppadoms. The Nan breads were light and fluffy. Certainly worth a visit pre or post match.

Rashid was absolutely lovely and hosted us so well and decided that he wanted to host a little dance party for us and asked us all the songs we wanted played and he played them the whole evening and the food was INSANELY DELICIOUS AND SO GENEROUS the portions were huge and very well priced. Love it here will be back ASAP and will bring my friends and family 🩷🩷🩷

This curry house is an absolute gem! This place is my cup of the tea!! The owner even gave us a free cake and free pudding. The food is packed with incredible flavor—every curry tastes fresh, rich, and perfectly spiced. From the creamy kormas to the fiery vindaloos, every dish feels like it’s been cooked with real care and attention to detail. The naan bread is soft and warm, and the sides are just as delicious as the mains. What makes this place truly special, though, are the owners. They’re so warm and welcoming, treating every guest like family. They always take the time to chat, recommend dishes, and make sure you’re enjoying your meal. Their kindness and hospitality turn a simple dinner into a memorable experience. If you’re looking for fantastic food served by genuinely lovely people, this is the place to go. Can’t wait to come back!

Googled 'best Indian takeaway near me', found these guys, ordered the lamb masala as a punt and proceeded to eat one the best curries I think we've ever eaten!!! So tasty, so clean, so moreish. Superb service too. Will definitely be back. Entirely worth 5 stars.
Ryan J — Google review
The owner is an absolute legend—charming, funny, and always ready with a joke. He's a reason to visit this restaurant all on his own. On top of that, you've got the amazing Indian food and a brilliant Bollywood show that provides plenty of entertainment. You feel like you're with friends while being thoroughly entertained. A perfectly successful evening that you won't forget anytime soon
Maurizio M — Google review
Definitely has a good reputation and good reviews but I have to be honest, we spent nearly £100 on a takeaway order and the food was average at best. The curries were watery and a bit tasteless. It's probably more expensive than most, so put all this together I felt compelled to reluctantly give a 1 star rating.

Had a lovely meal with my husband today. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed very warmly by the waiter and then again by the owner. Lovely tasty food and such a great atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Restaurant
Caribbean Croft is a cozy and vibrant restaurant located in Stokes Croft, offering traditional Caribbean comfort dishes and a wide selection of draft brews. The bustling venue features a diverse menu with secret family-owned recipes that cater to both meat eaters and vegetarians. Run by the hands-on owner Peter Innes, the restaurant reflects the city's diversity with reggae soundtracks, local artwork, and an inviting atmosphere.
So, so good. Food was absolutely full of flavour and incredible from starters, main to desert. Highly recommend the saltfish fritters, Croft fried chicken, ackee and saltfish, and to finish the Yard cake. Our best meal in Bristol in our 4 day trip.
Matt — Google review
Had an amazing experience at Caribbean Croft. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which set the tone for a great visit. I ordered the jerk salmon, and it was absolutely spot on. Beautifully cooked, tender, and packed with that rich, smoky jerk flavour. The rice and peas were full of taste and complemented the salmon perfectly. You could really tell care went into every bite. I also had the mac n cheese, which was creamy and comforting. Paired with the chilli sauce they provided, it hit the spot. The heat and creaminess together were just perfect. The whole place has a lovely cultural vibe, celebrating the spirit and flavour of the Caribbean. You can feel the love for food and community in everything they serve.
Ayyub C — Google review
Absolutely stunning Caribbean food. So glad I tried the Croft Combo dish as it included a mix of curry goat, BBQ chicken, and belly pork. The belly pork especially was unbelievable. Sides and extras were all spot-on too, festival, plantain, callaloo, rice & peas, everything was so good. Rum cocktails super tasty (and strong!!) too. Can't wait to visit again next time I'm in Bristol ❤️
Chris W — Google review
Been here twice now. Both times were great. Make sure you take advantage of the 2-4-1 cocktails (see photo for times). Easy to book a table on their website. They accept blue light discount here (10%).
Chris M — Google review
Great authentic Caribbean food. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere complemented by good music. Service is equally relaxed and very personalable. The food is great. Fantastic starters and wholesome mains. Definitely a place to visit. Booking is probably advised.
Peter M — Google review
The restaurant is super spacious with a great variety of dishes. The smoothie was incredibly fresh and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Ive take a drive into Bristol collected mum and we're off to 'Caribbean Croft ' only a 5 min walk from Bristol Bus Station. Admittedly I'll be taking the bus next time parking was a little awkward but that didn't ruin the experience. I missed this so much Ive been craving childhood food, I really should have a go ??? This was an amazing place and ill definitely be back easy to get too, quality homecooked food, in a fabulous atmosphere.
Louisa C — Google review
Great chicken filler spicy and well grilled with nice soft core, a choice of salads to go with it and rice or chips to choose from. Mid price range but worth it. Just a nice add on is a free bottle of water provided at the entry and a bottle of home made hot sauce which tastes amazing. Highly recommend. Large choice of alcohol and soft drinks. Vegetarian section in menu available.

Poco offers a diverse menu of global tapas made with locally sourced and organic ingredients, emphasizing sustainability and minimal waste.
Amazing atmosphere, love the playlist 🎶 food was so good I forgot to take pictures of everything 🙈 my favourite was the desert, we had the whiskey cake, with the vanilla ice cream! Best I’ve eaten in a very long time 🥰 I love that everything is local and organic, beautiful, generous and necessary concept! The food tastes authentic, can’t recommend more! And try the Portuguese Douro wine 😉
Joana V — Google review
Excellent selection of tapas with plenty of vegetarian options. It's a bit on the expensive side though, especially if you're hungry. We fully enjoyed our visit as the service was also good and welcoming. I would recommend this place to a friend!
Vsevolod R — Google review
I brought two friends to Pocos for dinner a few evenings ago, and we had an absolutely fantastic dining experience. We had high praise for all the dishes! Dishes were beautifully presented, with each one thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The service was warm and attentive throughout. The staff took the time to patiently explain each dish, which made the experience feel even more personal and enjoyable. A truly wonderful dinner!
Jochebed T — Google review
I visited Poco Tapas Bar with friends while in Bristol and really enjoyed it. Lovely atmosphere, creative dishes, and perfect for sharing.
Ana-Maria — Google review
Wow this place blew us away. We came from London and wondered why we couldn’t find such good food there. Lovely seasonal British ingredients. The polenta + homemade pesto was delicious with a unique flavour. Very surprised by the presentation of the smoked pigeon salad - so refreshing. The homemade shrubs was brilliant. Why couldn’t more place do this!
Christie L — Google review
It is very nice here. The service is excellent, kind and knowledgeable. The menu itself is a little confusing, It would've been good to know what of the sharing menu was cold plates as it was quite surprising to have very cold ox tongue! The food itself was very good. Especially the hake. I give it 4 stars for the service but don't think I'd return, considering other options in Bristol at this price point.
James T — Google review
Super cute place, the food was excellent and so was the service. Love that they are sustainable and ethical too. Definitely worth a visit.
Aurusha K — Google review
Holy smokes…this place is good! My partner and I have come up to Bristol for a weekend away, and didn’t plan our food stops in advance like we do usually as it was clear Bristol isn’t short of good places. We fancied tapas, and we got fancy tapas. The flavours were spot on. Simple dishes made beautifully, presented well and served with a smile. Quick, efficient service but not made to feel rushed. If I had a single moan it would be that I wanted more on the plate. But I am greedy. I would easily come back here if I visit Bristol again.

Baba Ganoush Kitchen - Jerusalem Falafel is a vibrant and colorful spot in Bristol, known for serving up fresh and delicious Middle Eastern fare. This certified institution has been satisfying vegetarians and vegans with its renowned falafel for years. The funky and artsy exterior reflects the city's spirit, making it a must-visit for those seeking affordable yet top-quality eats.
We had the most amazing vegan meal here! Everything was so fresh and delicious plus the staff were beautiful especially Rudy. Would love to come again one day!
Ali — Google review
Visited today for the first time to takeaway and had such a great experience- the wraps are enormous and such great value (especially for Bristol), absolutely brimming with fresh ingredients! The baba ganoush cauliflower wrap was delicious, lots of great vegan and veggie options. Also lovely staff and food was prepared super quick! Can't wait to come back and try the falafel.. most underrated place in Bristol?
Molly — Google review
We spent two days in Bristol, and we went to Baba Ganoush twice! This is hands down once of the best falafels we’ve ever had (not an understatement, I tried a lot as a vegetarian). We took the big falafel wrap with halloumi (woaw) and falafel salad (see picture). The next day we took two falafel wraps and the owner gave us a lot of goodies to go for the airport. We will definitely come back! (even if it was for Ruby(🐾)
Jacobien K — Google review
Wow! I walked away from the shop wielding this absolute weapon of a wrap and it was so goooood, lovely fresh ingredients all cooked to perfection. Super quick and friendly service, loved the coffee too! Will definitely be back, long live Baba Ganoush this place is a gem. Thankyou!
Glen L — Google review
We've been coming here for years and always have the best time. No matter how busy it is, Dael and Shad are incredibly friendly and welcoming and the food is always sensational. To add to the hundreds of people who have said the same - it is the best falafel I've ever eaten by some stretch. Always a bonus to see Rudy the dog plodding around happily munching on some halloumi. Our dog won't let us go within 100m of the place now without trying to drag us in as she also gets a portion of halloumi made especially for her each time we go. Another example of the sort of business they run is the fact that last time I went their card machine was down, so they told my friend and I to pay next time. They didn't stop taking orders, and told everyone coming for the lunch rush to just settle up when they next came by. When I did try to pay for that food alongside today's order, I was told not to worry about it. Beautiful restaurant run by beautiful people.
Tom W — Google review
We’ve been meaning to try this place for years and always drive past however we made an effort to pop in today and wow we were not disappointed. Greeted by the most lovely lady who brought our food out. The portions are massive and is so cheap(!) we had 2 of the everything wrap and easily could have shared. The lovely lady explained it’s her and her husband who run this place and are doing the most wonderful job. The food is made with love and care id go as far as saying the best in Bristol! We will be back on a regular basis! Thank you
Catriona L — Google review
Best falafels i've had in the UK! Super crispy exterior, aromatic and fluffy inside and all their other dishes are always bursting with flavour and freshness! We were on on our way to Wales from London and stopped just to get our hands on some of their falafels. We arrived 10 mins before closing time and the owner had a bag of hot falafels on standby that he gave away without even charging us. We parked close by to stuff our faces and he reappeared with cups of tahini sauce for us. Definitely worth the visit for the great food and amazing people!
Smiti R — Google review
Always see this place walking into Easton. Never made it inside it took a roaring hangover and a day of walking around for me and my partner in crime miss savage to lay our head in this establishment. Boss man and Lady were the kindest for 100 miles and had the produce to back it up. Made with love and hummus best food I can remember having the pleasure of consuming. Could not be fresher balanced flavours and a portion for half a village. While we waited for our food We saw a couple eating theres near us and we made private remarks of their silence not saying a word to each other. What we could could only speculate was love fading. However once our lips made contact with our own nutrient dense plate we quickly realised how wrong we were. The diagnosis of the silence? Food so good your simply speechless.

The menu features a delightful combination of dishes such as sweet and sour chicken alongside the signature lamb raan.
Fantastic meal. A real step up over your normal Indian or Chinese. You could taste every flavour of every dish. Everything looked amazing, smelt amazing and tasted amazing. All the food come out very quickly and was all piping hot, very very hot! The staff were great. Always checking everything was ok. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting Indian or Chinese cuisine. We were just upset that we couldn’t try more of the dishes as we were so full from what we had.

There aren’t many establishments rated 4.9 with over 1k reviews like Rock Salt. Had an amazing dining experience for Sunday lunch today. Everyone was so welcoming and I love the decor. Food was absolutely phenomenal. My top three dishes are: soft shell crab, crispy beef and lamb raan. Their peshwari naans are sublime - so fluffy and packed with flavour. I don’t know I waited this long to try Rock Salt and I suggest you don’t make the same mistake as me!!! Would happily return and again and again.

From the minute we were welcomed in , without a reservation, to the minute we left, it was an amazing experience. I always think it’s a special restaurant when you can’t make the same thing at home, and the food we ordered was perfection. The menu is so well thought out and the drinks , even though we chose the non alcoholic ones (they do have alcoholic beverages) were so delicious. The service was top notch and everyone who worked there seemed to be happy to be there which is an important thing when dining anywhere. The people that bring you your food and cook your food have vibes that make for the overall experience and I must say it was a top notch experience and great food.

Great fusion of Indian and Chinese cuisine. We had the salt and pepper prawns and onion bhaji to start which were delicious. I highly recommend the Szechuan pork and the chicken chow mein received a glowing reception too. The pomegranate margarita was unreal too. Big shout out to Ned, our waiter who was really helpful.

Everything about this restaurant was exceptional — from the warm and inviting atmosphere to the perfectly curated music that set the mood. The service was attentive and friendly, making the whole dining experience feel special. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was beautifully presented, flavorful, and served in generous portions. I especially loved the drinks; they were refreshing, well-balanced, and complemented the meal perfectly. I truly enjoyed every moment and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.”

Excellent food, so very tasty and flavourful. The Peshwari naan was so amazing that we had to order an extra portion. Thank you very much ☺️.

Nestled in the heart of Clifton, Yoyo Burger has been tantalizing taste buds since 2008 with its unique take on gourmet burgers. This trendy spot offers a minimalist underground vibe where you can either grab your meal to go or enjoy it on-site. What sets Yoyo apart is its adventurous menu that features exotic meats and luxurious ingredients, steering clear of the typical American burger experience.
Really nice food very taste thanks

Ordered via Uber Eats. First up I paid £5.95 for a portion of curly fries, what proceeded to come for nearly 6 pounds of my hard earned English money was about 5 curly chips mixed in with normal chips, smallest portion in the world and reminded me of leftovers from the freezer being chucked together. Excellent. Next up. 6 crispy chicken chunks for an eye watering £7.95 turned out to be 6 fake mcdonalds looking chicken nuggets from somewhere like farm foods or Iceland. Vile. I then ordered devil's chocolate- described as a delicious gooey brownie.... what proceeded to turn up was a bar of dairy milk that had been chucked in with the hot food and was completely MELTED and needed chucking in the bin. Paid £3.95 for that privilege. Cheese sauce. £2.95, can't comment on the sauce itself as the only way I recieved it was smashed all over the order. Absolute joke. The burger was abismal and for the £32.88 I paid the whole order, this was a farce.
Jade M — Google review
Disgusting food. Got a doner kebab (regretfully) it looked like the meat had been sat there since god knows when. They cut the meat undercooked and began finishing it off on the griddle which made the meat hard and nasty. But the biggest sin they committed… they used Fg siracha sauce as their chilli sauce!!!! I had a severe toothache going on at the same time otherwise I would have fought over this sort of rubbish. Portion size for a large was horrendous. Would not recommend this place. Amateurs. Haven’t got a clue about the food game.
Gerald K — Google review
I moved to Bristol 7 years ago, and YoYo was my favourite late night takeaway, It was perfect. Just had it again for the first time in ages and it felt old, from the bread to the salad. The meat I can't say a single good thing about. I'm very disappointed in how far you've fallen
David A — Google review
Despite the branding inside and outside this doesn't appear to be Yoyo Burger anymore. This was my go-to on uber eats for years, the burgers were miles better than your average late night burger and only a little more expensive. Went in person once and it was just as good. Decided to pick up today, and the place has apparently rebranded as Clifton Burgers. The screens the usual menu was displayed on last time were off, I was handed a new menu with no mention of yoyo burger, different items, and noticeably cheaper prices. When I asked if this was still yoyo burger I was given an A4 black and white copy of the old menu, and it felt like they weren't expecting to be making any of these. In the end the burgers were noticeably worse in quality but I was still charged old menu prices. Sketchy.

Food is incredible and the two Thai ladies who work late at night are just so lovely. Unfortunately, the man running the store late at night sometimes is plain rude. The store is listed as 3AM closing time and when I went at 1AM, he said “Can’t you see we’re closed?” to which I said “The closing time is 3” and he said “I don’t care what it says” Shame you guys have been open so long to be let down by someone who couldn’t care less about their job.

I was wondering why this place has bad reviews as I ordered online and the food was nice although I didnt get a burger. The chicken bites, fries, spring rolls and cheese bites are all very good. Judging by the reviews the burgers might not be as good and the staff are rude. But in terms of my experience as a takeaway it was nice and if I could I would give it a 4.5/5.

I have been here a few times in the past but not for at least 2-3 years and the food was very nice. However I went in January and the lady serving me got my order completely wrong and forgot my curly fries. When she give me the back to correct my order she threw it at me and started shouting when I complained. She was then talking to her friend who was the same nationality in a different language and going mad. I would honestly stay away from this place as the staff service is horrible. A shame as it use to be alright.

Such a gem of a restaurant! Food was amazing, and the vegan menu was great, with lots of options. Service was really good, and staff were so friendly - would recommend :)

Excellent food, excellent service. My two daughters can't eat Gluten.. so to come to a place where (almost) the entire menu was Gluten Free was amazing. Ali and the team were brilliant, very welcoming and offering suggestions. I can't recommend this place enough!

Classic British curry house. There is a whole vegan menu and the options are delicious! The interior is cool and the location is central and lively.

Would definitely recommend over all. Our experience was good. We went late and despite being alone to serve more than 3 table at the same time, Rumel did deliver a great customer service to us. He made us feel at ease and didn’t rush us at all, set the expectation in a very professional way. Now the part of the food; there is a variety of food and as a fussy person I found something I could eat. Thanks again Rumel

Loved it! They have a separate vegan menu and the vegan food was amazing. Our server was so thorough with what was vegan and what wasn't. Highly recommend! Will deffo be back. First Indian restaurant I've been to that offers a vegan menu!

Came back here after four or five years and its just as good as ever. Excellent service and personal recommendations from the staff after asking what types of curry we're usually interested in. Incredible food and really reasonable prices. Really attentive service from Ali and the team made us feel like the only table in the restaurant.

Dined at the Raj last night to celebrate my Birthday with family. The food was lovely, fresh and flavoursome and did not disappoint. The staff generously served an extra dish for us to share to recognise our celebration. Absolutely love this place.

We had a fantastic meal here last Tuesday 16th September. We were visiting Bristol for a couple of nights as tourists. The Raj came highly recommended after speaking to some locals in the nearby Pub. We were well looked after by Kalisha & Ali, so friendly. The Raj is well hidden going down into the inner depths, so we consider ourselves lucky to have found such a gem of a place. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Nestled in the heart of Bristol, Ganesha Authentic Indian Restaurant stands out as a unique culinary destination that transcends the typical Indian dining experience. This family-run establishment showcases an impressive array of regional curries and South Indian specialties, all served in a modern and inviting atmosphere. The menu is thoughtfully crafted to reflect the diverse flavors of India while maintaining authenticity, featuring an abundance of fresh fish, seafood, lamb, and aromatic spices from Goa.
Came here for a birthday meal on bank holiday Monday and was very delighted with the food received. We all had starters and mains and all of which were very delicious, in particular the chilli chicken to start. There was something to suit all spice levels so everyone was accommodated for and for the amount of food we had the price was very reasonable!

Absolutely loved my experience at Ganesha! The food was incredible, bursting with authentic flavors and spices that truly transported me to India. Each dish was perfectly prepared, with fresh ingredients and unique combinations. The ambiance was also fantastic — cozy and vibrant, with a warm, welcoming vibe that made me feel right at home. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend Ganesha for anyone craving delicious Indian cuisine in a wonderful atmosphere!

Very good new restaurant the food and service was amazing. Few classic dishes with little Morden take . Enjoyed throughly .

Everything is cooked to order, fresh and succulent meat cooked to perfection! The lamb jalfrezi meat pulls apart like butter and the portions are good. Also recommend the naan which has a crunchy bite and is pairs perfectly with the curry. The menu’s chilli rating is spicier than it actually is if you’re use to spice. The lamb jalfrezi has 2/4 chillis but was very mild in my opinion, so if you like spicy don’t be put off by the 3-4 chilli ratings!

Just had a lamb biryani and 3 onion bhaji. Buttered chicken, plain rice, 2 onion bhaji and garlic naan. Broken pieces of wood, cinnamon I'm guessing/hoping in the bityani, so had to check every forkful before putting in my mouth. The onion bhajis were very disappointing, little, and I mean little round balls of a bit of onion. The naan was very crispy, not sure should be that way. The buttered chicken was eaten, but because the person who ordered it was hungry. Not all of the buryani was eaten. At £45, very disappointing.

Located on a moored riverboat near Queens Square in Bristol, Three Brothers Burgers is a popular spot for burger enthusiasts. The restaurant offers a variety of meat and vegetarian options, making it suitable for all diners. With its covered deck featuring soft lights and patio heaters, it's an ideal place to enjoy barbecues during the summer or stay warm in the colder months. In addition to their delicious burgers, they also serve an extensive range of craft beer and cider.
It's one of the most delicious burgers, and fries/chips we've ever tasted... A must try when you go to Bristol. Sadly the milkshake wasn't available at that time. The service was excellent, the staffs were friendly, and helpful. They have indoor seating, and outdoor seating. Kids menu is not available. Toilets for customers are available.

The burgers were juicy and absolutely delicious, and the fries were great as well. We got the lunch deal, which offers excellent value. Service was quick and efficient, you order through a scanned QR code. The place has both indoor and outdoor seating, and there are toilets available for customers too. They serve the food on metallic plates, which felt like a nostalgic throwback, definitely added to the experience. A solid spot for a casual and satisfying meal.

One of the best burger places in Bristol. Friendly service, nice atmosphere. The lunch deal (available Mon-Fri) at £7.50 for burger and fries is great value, what more can you ask for? QR code ordering is also convenient.

Enjoyed both the burger and the cider even though I am not into cider. The breaded pickle 🥒 side dish with dill mayo was brilliant.

Absolutely outstanding place! The burgers were amazing! Drink choices were also excellent! Great setting and great atmosphere! Can’t stop thinking about this place - we will be back!! We got a text about 10 minutes after ordering saying our order hadn’t gone through which was impressive. Not sure why but it said to contact the team so we did and it was sorted quickly. Allergies wise it says on some of the menu items but not all. It also says in the notes to add it to the specific item but when you tried to do that for my burger you couldn’t see the allergies or add notes. Luckily at the end of the order you have “special requests” section for the whole order (which says not to add allergy notes here but as there was nowhere else that’s where we had to do it) and we added the note there instead. Staff said to add it to the order this way so at least it was on there and they’d let the kitchen know. The fries don’t come with the burger so we shared some as it was a little pricey but still well worth it!
Alastair P — Google review
Really tasty burgers - almost toooo tasty 😅 the only thing I didn’t enjoy was the soggy bun due to the amount of grease. The crispy onions were to die for and would have just a giant bowl of those if it were available. Like many other reviews I can’t really justify the service charge considering we sat outside and ordered from a QR code on the table. There was minimal interaction with staff which I don’t really mind, but just doesn’t justify the service charge.
Char B — Google review
We have been to Three Bros several times prior to going to performances at the Bristol Old Vic. You cannot book a table for groups below 8 but every time we arrive, the greeting is friendly, quick and we have rarely ever waited. There is table service but for a quicker experience, use the QR code and order via phone. It works and is quick. Servers are very friendly and helpful, so will happily take your order. We love the fact that iced still water is offered on arrival (a US dining standard that is sadly missed in the UK) and quickly delivered. Food is very tasty, fresh and might take a touch longer if you have customised your burger/dog, the wait is not long at all. Again, we are always impressed by the fun and friendly interactions with the Servers. Can recommend the Umami Crazy Burger, Caesar Salad side and the crispy jalapenos. The chicken burgers are superb too, especially when you add the crispy onions. Consistent, great quality and fun place to eat. Still one of our favourites. Thank you.

This place is a gem. Came here many years ago on holiday and seeing as I was in the area again, decided to visit. Wasn't disappointed at all. Asked if I wanted table service or to order via the app and also if I wanted water at the table as well. Ordered the lunchtime offer of burger and chips which took 10 to 15 minutes, which I assume meant that everything was cooked to order. Chips were crispy and fluffy and the burger was juicy and really full of flavour. Staff were very friendly and the music in the background was perfectly loud enough and added to the atmosphere of this restaurant. Highly recommended

Very big restaurant. It was a bit of a factory experience really as is typical of big venues. No warm greeting, sat down, menus, order, eat leave, no thanks and goodbyes. The food was OK, we were recommended to go here, but I wish we had gone to a smaller place. The staff were rushing about and no real experience, just in, eat, go. Food standard was just average, nothing outstanding, or memorable.

We came here for a work colleagues leaving dinner and the staff were very accommodating. The food was really good, particularly the vegetable pakora! The restaurant was nicely set and had a good vibe, service took a while, but we were a party of 20, so can't complain too much! Great variety of food and absolutely loved the naan bread 🔥

Seriously! I found a big hair in my nan bread! ( That was not mine was actually in the nan😕😬) I ordered the goan fish (cod) only had 3 small bits of cod in the curry, it was not great the cod flavors did not work together with the curry it was more tomato and a bit watery based than coconut and had a bit of a weird taste. also ordered some deep fried pepper things that was mushy thay was a little spicy but no real flavor of anything. Waste of money for over £31.00 I would say. First time I have ordered form here and will be the last.

Came here before heading over the road to the theatre - the food was lovely and the mango lassi was absolutely delicious! Service was a bit slow even though they were quiet and my sister’s drink didn’t come until after we’d asked for the bill. 😬 However we’d definitely come back again. ☺️

Good food with many options, but the taste isn't very authentic. The staff seemed confused about the service and everyone was standing together and chatting.

We came here after reading a few recommendations, and they were absolutely right! We had the vegetable pakora and the lamb chops for starters, paneer chilli masala, lamb five jewels, pilau rice and kulcha nann. It was all very fresh and super flavourful, the meat was tender, can't fault this meal. Plenty of choice for both carnivores and vegetarians. Friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back!

The staff are very helpful. The restaurant is very clean. We were seated immediately and our drinks order taken. The menu has a wide choice and the rest of my party enjoyed their food. I had a Prawn Dansak and was disappointed by the lack of spice and the teeny weanie little prawns. I only ate half my dinner due to this. I would go again and try something different. The entrance to the restaurant has a large high step, making it very difficult if you have accessability issues and impossible in a wheelchair.

I’ve become Coeliac & Lactose Intolerant in the past few years. They were super helpful, thorough and accommodating of this. I really appreciated Rob’s? Help with advising me and talking me through all the potential allergens. The food was lovely, and it was lovely to eat some amazing Indian food again, after having avoided it for a while due to my dairy allergen. Got a takeaway so haven’t actually sat down for a meal here. I thought it was amazing! Like, actually quite possibly the best curry I’ve had in Bristol. Was really pleasantly surprised with the menu, particularly the diversity of the visual aesthetics and flavours (not just generic slop with little between it like some other restaurants), and really enjoyed what we had to eat. I also didn’t think it was greasy at all so dubious at some of the other reviewers. I think this will be a new go-to and would heartily recommend to others, would also happily try eating in.

All the mezzes were delicious! We had the lunch deal for £20 per person and ordered all the mezzes — they were all so tasty. I didn’t really like the desserts, but my friends enjoyed them. It’s an open kitchen, i think because of that the restaurant didn’t smell very nice. There was also no music, so it felt a bit boring. The guy who was serving us was working alone but he did his best.

Sri Lankan restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant Clifton Triangle, The Coconut Tree Bristol is a delightful Sri Lankan eatery that has recently unveiled an exciting plant-based menu featuring 16 unique dishes. Embracing a street food vibe, diners can indulge in hoppers—charming bowl-shaped pancakes made from coconut milk—served alongside sambal and Sri Lankan salsa.
Visited Thursday, 20th March 2025 We have been before, so we obviously enjoyed our previous visit. Lovely food, so many different flavours, unique to each dish - food Sri Lankan. We kept a list of what we had at our last visit, which was lucky as the menu had been updated. They recommend about 2-3 small plates per person ...... but we don't mind taking home leftovers, and this was a birthday treat. So, with a combination of old tried and tested and a few new additions, we chose 10! They all arrived together, and the feast began, with two raspberry/mint soft drinks to compliment the meal. We loved it, the service was good. My only slight constructive comment was that I enjoy food when it's really hot (temperature, not spice heat), and it was a little cool for me, but I still enjoyed it! We will be back ...... soon! Big thanks to you & your team! 🌞
Lesley T — Google review
I visited Coconut Tree in Bristol last month for lunch. We ordered two shrimp fried rice dishes and shrimp curries. The food didn’t taste fresh, and the rice was sticky. I’ve attached pictures below. The portion sizes were really small for the price, one portion wasn’t enough for one person. Additionally, the girl who served us was unpleasant and rude when we informed her of the issue. For those expecting good Sri Lankan food, I can’t recommend this place at all.
Viraj I — Google review
A small group (5) had dinner. We had to try a variety of options as the portions are super small. The goat curry was watery and lacked spice. The service staff were kind, helpful and a bit chaotic. Whilst I enjoyed some of the food, did not think its was value for money.

Absolutely phenomenal! This Sri Lankan restaurant in the UK is a gem. The flavors are authentic and vibrant, transporting you straight to the heart of Sri Lanka. The menu is diverse, offering a delightful range of dishes from spicy curries to savory hoppers. Each dish is prepared with meticulous attention to detail and bursting with flavor. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. The staff is attentive and friendly, ensuring a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to indulge in an unforgettable culinary journey. Five stars! But one thing tho, Hopper is not as I expected , hope you’ll improve in future

Decent sri lankan restaurant in Bristol.. Chicken curry on the bone is vood but I would have liked it without the skin..the parippu (dhal) is good . Egg hooper has a unique taste to it . The goat curry is okay but would have liked it with bone just like the chicken one.. The paratha is good... The prices of the mocktails are on the high side...
Anupam G — Google review
Food was nice. It’s a shame they sat people so close to each other when they had a big empty restaurant to use. Felt like I was in someone else’s conversation. Wine expensive. Cutlery and bowls dirty and chipped (chunks of food on two of the knives). No toilet cubicle in the men’s (out of order). Had to ask for the correct bill. Enjoyed but wouldn’t go back.
Jake M — Google review
Been here a few times now, and we did the Sunday unlimited for £25 this time for my birthday meal. It’s hard to gauge how much you need to order so we ordered as we went, and got around 4-5 dishes each so works out good value, especially if you then have dessert. 3 out of 8 of us were vegan and they had plenty of vegan options for the mains - the dhal and the kotthu were the highlight for me! We had a few left overs as we were stuffed by the time the last lot came out (some dishes taken a while to arrive so everyone else had finished by the time the last couple of dishes came) so we asked to take these home so as not to waste them, but we were told we could not take them away as it’s the unlimited deal and not allowed. This seemed really wasteful, as it was only going to be put in the bin? Such a shame. They didn’t have any vegan ice cream this time which was very sad, last time this was top tier! You also can’t pay in cash, which is a pain when you have birthday money to spend… Overall was fine, but the first and second time were much better experiences. The staff didn’t seem to be that happy which was also a bit of a bummer. Food was nice, but just a couple of bits let down the experience.

A group of us came for a staff party and managed to get a booth outside and had lovely bread and olives whilst we waited for everyone. We had a few different cocktails which were all really nice. Ordered a selection of dishes including the patatas bravos, crispy calamari, mac and cheese, pork balls and the favourites were fish tacos, plantain tacos, aubergine strips and tater tots . I was looking forward to the Camerones con chipotle and the prawns and bread were delicious but the sauce was a bit sickly and oily. The staff were all lovely but we had issues waiting for service, 4 of our dishes didn’t arrive and we had to ask twice for them and no plates cleared. We did tell the staff and they sorted it out and were very friendly. We would all come again as the food was delicious and the staff were nice and apologetic for the error.

Five stars given based on the amazing Mexican food and value for money! I went on a Tuesday and the team are serving up delicious margs and tasty tacos single or sharing deals: - 2 tacos and one marg for £12.50 - 4 tacos and 2 margs for £24.50 - 6 tacos and 6 margs for £35 The tacos were brimming with filling with the weekly special - lamb and a red wine jus - being our favourite. Also they do the best nachos in the city. We then finished the meal with bougie churros that had chocolate running through the middle It was lovely to see this little spot buzzing on a Tuesday night Follow me on Instagram for more food reviews: @hungry_hesketh

Vietnamese restaurant
Restaurant
Pho is a Vietnamese restaurant that offers a variety of classic dishes, with a focus on their specialty, pho noodle soup. The menu includes curries, rice bowls, noodles, and salads. It's popular among gluten-free diners as most of the menu is gluten and dairy-free. The restaurant also caters to vegetarians with an array of tofu-based options. Located in the heart of the city, Pho provides large portions at reasonable prices.
Went here with my husband. We ordered fried vegan spring rolls and fried baby squids as appetizers, they were amazing! He ate the Wok fried flat rice noodle and I had the spicy king prawn curry. They were good and came with huge portions. The spicy coconut curry not spicy for my taste buds(I'm Malaysian btw) and it's a tad sweet hence only 4* other than that no complaints. The service was fast, friendly and responsive.

We walked in, lots of tables to spare. The waitress was AMAZING, Ines, and she was always taking the time to see us, take our orders, make lovely recommendations and to talk to us! All the food was delicious. I ordered the Pho soup, rice bowl, beef brisket curry and the visticiliam noodles. The food was full of all kinds of flavours, all working together to form an amazing dish. I would 100% recommend this to anyone! The Pho Soup is amazing and is a must eat!

Just popped by for an impromptu lunch and was met by the beautiful Ines! So friendly, excellent service, food was tasty! Ines even gave us wine recommendations from her native country, France :). Thank you Ines, we’ll come back because of you!

The soup noodles were brilliant, especially the thick noodles with classic one! U may also get free extra noodles if u wanted, the table service was really nice and kind(Lady Ines). The meat in the soup noodle was massive, we will definitely come back again and try the new stuff!

Wonderful food and I could eat gluten free which wasn’t expected so very happy! Our server was Owen ‘aka the combo master’ - absolute star and so attentive. Our table went with his recommendations and weren’t disappointed! If I lived in Bristol I would return ☺️ Thank you! The dessert was wonderful - warm pancake and honey /chill ice cream x (if you like a buzzing, with loud music, restaurant with attention and recommendations you will love this place)

Went to Pho for the first time and from the moment I walked in the staff were friendly and attentive. My server Maddy even brought over a fork as she could see I was struggling with the chop sticks 😆 (I was trying) I ordered the Pho House which was delicious. You could taste the garlic on the steak and the king prawns were amazing! Would definitely go back again to try other dishes on the menu.

We tried a pho restaurant for the first time, and overall, it was a great experience. The food was quite good, not the best we've ever had, but definitely enjoyable and worth trying. What really stood out, though, was the service. Ella, if you're reading this, thank you for being so kind and patient while we took our time picking our dishes, you were truly wonderful! The atmosphere was pleasant, although a bit noisy due to the loud music, so we had to raise our voices to have a conversation. Aside from that, it’s a pretty solid spot!

We had a delicious meal here, the best sushi I have eaten in ages! Lots of delicious food & drink options. Efficient & friendly service. The kitchen runs smoothly and is spotless, it is enjoyable to watch the chefs at work while you dine. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful restaurant. Good experience. Tried the pumpkin katsu curry with rice and mango juice. Absolutely loved everything. The pumpkin was so delicious! I just felt the gravy was a bit less for the portion of rice so kinda felt dry to eat. A bit more gravy would have been nicer. Very respectful and friendly staff. Quick service, didn't have to wait too long for the order. Beautiful n lovely vibes. Totally worth the time and money.

This is in reference to the take away counter at lunchtime. I have been using this restaurant for lunch take away for years, well before its in the hand of the current owners. I normally pick up lunch box from this place twice a week and for the last two month noticed the the portions of food you get with the regular lunch box are getting smaller and smaller, however, yesterday was a new record... the food left in the trays at the counter was looking dry and a few options totally missing. before ordering i had asked if they have fresh noodles and more breaded chicken strips. The young Chinese looking lady had answered that i will get everything fresh. However, then filled up my lunch box with the dry noodles from the counter tray and added on top a very small amount of chicken that was freshly made but very small quantity... asked for £6.50 before handing the box to me. i had pointed out that she took the dry noodles and that the box is only half full, but i was ignored. to avoid making a scene i paid and went away, upset feeling cheated and the noodles were dry and hard to eat.. i think that this place is going down fast and would not recommend it to anyone there are plenty of better places for lunch take away in the centre of Bristol.. see photo very disappointing...

Made sushi with Sunita; it was a lively and highly interactive experience! She was a delight to learn from, and she made me feel like an expert— even when I stumbled through the sushi-making process. Big shout out to Mo, who provided a fluid and fun atmosphere. I can’t recommend this place enough. I’ll come back again and again!

Yakinori is a family favourite, and Bristol’s Japanese and South Korean community seem to agree, as they took half the seats when we went in for lunch. The main courses (in our case Mighty Duck Pokenori, a steak bowl, and a coconut curry [I think]) are easily enough to fill you up; but on this occasion we pushed the boat out and Gyoza and Bao Buns (OK and some edamame). Food arrived fast, hot and super fresh, but there is no rush to eat and leave, we dallied for a long lunch catch up, it was lovely, as it always is.

Outstanding Service from Tehrim at Yakinori! I recently dined at Yakinori and had an absolutely phenomenal experience, thanks entirely to our waitress, Tehrim. From the moment we sat down, Tehrim was attentive, warm, and genuinely helpful. She managed to strike that perfect balance of being present without being intrusive. She was incredibly patient when we were deciding on our order, offering excellent, insightful recommendations on both the sushi and the ramen dishes. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive and helped us discover some new favorites! What truly set Tehrim apart was her proactive and friendly attitude. Our drinks were always topped up, she checked back at the perfect times, and she made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table. She handled the busy service with grace and a constant, genuine smile. Tehrim is a true asset to the Yakinori team, and her dedication to excellent customer service made our meal a five-star experience. If you visit Yakinori, definitely hope to be seated in Tehrim's section—you won't be disappointed! Highly recommend Tehrim!

I have been dining at Krishna’s Inn for over a month now, and it has truly become one of my favourite places in Bristol. The food here is consistently authentic, flavourful, and prepared with the kind of care that instantly reminds me of traditional Indian home cooking. Every dish carries the true essence of South Indian cuisine, with perfect balance in taste and freshness. The hospitality is equally commendable; the staff are warm, attentive, and always welcoming. I was fortunate to celebrate Onam at Krishna’s Inn, and the traditional Sadya served on a banana leaf was simply outstanding. It felt like being back in India, enjoying the festive spirit through authentic flavours and traditional presentation Krishna’s Inn is not just a restaurant; it’s a place where food, culture, and hospitality come together beautifully. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a genuine Indian dining experience in Bristol.

Hope this restaurant sustains and more people come!

Ordered the Meat Thali and Biriyani – both were delicious. The meat curry was especially flavorful❤️. Loved the sides like aviyal, pumpkin elissery. Great taste and good service overall! The Biriyani had a pleasant aroma and was well-spiced without being overpowering. The portion size was generous, and the rice was fluffy and well-cooked. Serving and hospitality were also commendable, making the experience even more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend it for those looking to enjoy a wholesome, traditional South Indian meal❤️.

I used to have food from this place few years back when I used to work at Clifton. I thought of getting an order via uber eats today and spend almost £20. I am shocked with the taste of the food and I would recommend “do not waste your money” here. I am not sure if the cook or management has changed but what I tasted today is definitely not the food I used to have few years back. I ordered Medu vada which was too oily and I am sure they are the frozen vada that you get in Asian supermarket. They just fried it in deep oil rather than making it from scratch. We spend money ordering because we want to eat real vada not the frozen one. We can ourselves get those frozen ones and make at home. Then I ordered the chicken biryani which was sweet and had so so much of black pepper. Good Lord no way it taste like biryani. The only thing that was eatable was the raita(the yoghurt sauce ) that was given with the biryani. This is a serious feedback and I wish the management looks at it and takes it seriously. I feel sad that a place like this is serving so bad quality food now. I have left a feedback on uber eats too. I am completely feeling sick now after having the chicken biryani and vada.

The food here is absolutely insane! My boyfriend and I came for the first time tonight and were blown away. You can tell how much thought goes into every dish , not only does the food look stunning, it tastes incredible too. The customer service was a solid 10/10. Kumar is the loveliest person, he made us feel so welcome and even shared some fascinating history about South Indian cuisine. An absolute treasure! If you want to try new things without any risk, Kumar is your guy!! He’s not pushing sales, he’s just genuinely passionate about helping you enjoy the best of the best. And we’re glad we listened because WOW. The prices are super affordable too which is such a bonus with the cost of living right now, but the flavours, quality, and portions are way beyond what you’d expect for the cost. An absolute bargain for what you get. We had the best night and WILL be coming back! Thank you for having us💜

Genuine Indian food. Mild, spiced, hot, the staff guided us safely thru the menu. They cater for gluten free, vegan etc and even have dishes without milk derived products too. Tastes are genuine and reminded me of my mum’s cooking. The starters and mains are generously sized and choosing lots of different dishes and sharing is the best plan!

My husband and I arrived in Bristol around noon and were looking forward to a good Indian meal. We chose this restaurant because of its good ratings. We ordered biryanis, but unfortunately, they were disappointing — the rice was quite dry and the flavour was not as good as expected. We had high hopes, but the taste did not live up to the reviews. We hope the restaurant can improve on this dish, as the place has potential.

The chicken bottomless thali is good..available 12 to 4:30 pm from Wednesday to Sunday.. There is strange rule even a child can't share this bottomless thali...which is a bit strange but I get the logic.. The male waiter (I forgot to ask his name) is quite helpful and must appreciate the number of questions we had.. The 3 small plates for 14.99 is good for the price... hari mirch tikka (part of 3 small plates )-- didn't like it.. The tandoori panner tikka ans Punjabi samosa is good.. Thali is quite good for the price...have had 25 GBP thali in Kal dosa which is not bottomless is quite similar to me in taste..but straight 10 GBP less.. The child rule should be relaxed may be with additional 3-4 GBP... That would pull even more crowd...

We came here after hearing about their nut-free kitchen and we were absolutely NOT disappointed. Our waitress was so lovely (thank you so much) and said although they could not advertise as nut free the kitchen is free of all nuts, apart from a few may contains on a few seasoning packets (which contained all 12 allergens). As someone with a nut allergy we felt so looked after and the food was absolutely delicious: would reccomend the butter chicken, chicken chettinad, garlic naan. Thank you so much for making our first curry out so amazing!

Just ordered the Murg Tikka and Chana Chaat — I can’t even explain how amazing the food was! So delicious, with generous portions. The yellow raita was super tasty as well. First time trying Oh Calcutta, we had a table for 4 booked on a Friday night. Initial thoughts on entering were that the restaurant looked quite simple and basic inside. Not a bad thing for me personally but for anyone craving real character to the restaurant I'm sure there are better options in Bristol. The staff were all really friendly and prompt in taking orders and serving the food. The menu choices were great and incredibly low prices! Actually had to double check at one point! Whilst the prices were really good I think this was reflected in the portion sizes, they weren't small but if you're arriving there really hungry I would definitely not be afraid to get a few extra dishes! That being said all of the food we ordered tasted really good and I had no complaints there at all. The restaurant has a "bring your own booze" policy so don't hesitate to stock up beforehand. Conveniently there is a shop right next door if needed! Overall a decent night with good food, definitely worth a shout if you're with friends and after a cheaper meal! I just would have liked slightly bigger portions because what I did order tasted really good!

The atmosphere was good, especially since it was Eid and had big family function. Staff were friendly, and the manager offered us dessert to share as part of his family; very grateful for the nice and personal touch. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and good value for money with sensible portion sizes. Lamb Nihari was wonderful, spiced well, and Lamb quality was top notch. Can tell it was slowly cooked as meat was very tender. Parent's enjoyed their Madras and Chilli Bengal too!

Easily one of the best baos I’ve had! 🤤👌 🍟 Kimchi Fries – Decent, but I wished there was more sauce to bring out the flavours. A little underwhelming compared to the rest of the meal. Food was nice and filling although the chilli oil with the dumplings was way too salty. I'm always one for flavour and I love chilli oil but this one was way too over powering with the salt that we barely finished it. Everything else was super delicious though. Sometimes it was a bit hard to get the waitress's attention but that wasnt too troublesome.

Saturday night venture here was a success! Great atmosphere as there was a live DJ. Wanted a pause from booze and got a cucumber seltzer, super fresh and unique. Got the tonkotsu ramen, pork belly was perfectly cooked, the soy egg was like crack, my only critique would be there was far too much pickled ginger that spoiled other delicate flavours. My mum had the miso glazed salmon which was also lush. If you fancy Asian food with a vibe then come here. AND it’s dog friendly! I can’t say service was attentive, it was just service.

I have only ordered delivery here. They have been slow and messed one order up before. But this is 100% forgivable because their food is outstanding. I like a curry but I hate the oilyness. There is no oilyness here. Just incredible food. Probably the best naan bread I have ever eaten. The omlette wrap.. out of this world. The saag bhaji was just incredible. So many indian takeaways puree it or mash it to oblivion. Their Saag Bhaji is perfect. The curry sauces are awesome. Only very minor complaint is that a little hotter (spicyness not temperature) is more to my taste, but I am one for very spicy food. I used to order elsewhere but they have 100% stolen my business and on top of all of that, they are extremely reasonably priced. I really can't throw out anymore superlatives about this place. Try it.

Ordered the set meal for 2, which ended up being delicious and very filling. A great environment to dine in, but unfortunately felt that the staff were under resourced. We were often left to our own devices with little to no staff service. In the end our food came over an hour after ordering!

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Cathy Rendezvous. I ordered a delivery, and the chicken in my meal was very undercooked to the point of being raw. This is completely unacceptable, as consuming raw chicken poses serious health risks. The quality control and food safety standards at this restaurant clearly need significant improvement. I expected much better, especially for the price. I would not recommend this place based on my experience.

If I could give this a zero I would. I have received an order through uber eats which has given me raw chicken claws amongst my order instead of fried chicken breast in honey sauce. Looking at them makes me feel sick so I can’t even eat the other items. And yet i am only being refunded for the chicken dish. For further help I am referred back to Cathy rendezvous but can only get an automated message referring me to website hence the review. Had I been able to talk to someone and got the full refund requested this could have been avoided.

Really good price, all the dishes were still hot when they arrived, delivery took 20 mins from when I placed the order. I really liked the braised chicken thigh, chow mein tasted good, and the fried tofu was nice too. Definitely recommend for an affordable Chinese takeaway! Please note: photos were taken *after* eating half of the quantity!

I visited Cathay Rendezvous with a group of blind people in July. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs and were very friendly and helpful. They happily assembled the duck pancakes for one of us as requested. The food was great and the waitress even walked with one of us to the Uber pick up point around the corner. The best customer service I’ve seen in a long time!

Chinese restaurant
Mayflower Chinese Restaurant (五月花菜館) is a long-standing establishment in the heart of Bristol, offering a Cantonese menu until 3am. Despite its location nestled between the bus station and the Bear pit, this restaurant is known for serving some of the best Chinese cuisine in Bristol. The extensive menu caters to a wide range of tastes, from traditional dishes to more adventurous options, attracting not only locals but also Chinese families from across the region.
Had a great experience at Mayflower today. The food was very good with authentic Cantonese flavour and a wide variety on the menu. The place looks newly renovated—clean and tidy. It was really full, and we had to share a big round table with others, but I didn’t mind. Definitely worth a visit!

The first receptionist informed me that I had one hour to dine since I didn’t have a reservation. I was seated at a large table. I ordered two dishes: crispy noodle with beef and a quarter Peking duck. The prices were quite reasonable, especially considering it’s in the UK. The food arrived quickly and was served hot, which I appreciated. They offered free hot jasmine tea and chilled water, which I really liked. Later, another staff member came by and told me there was no need to rush, which made me feel much more relaxed, especially since I had been eating in quite a hurry.

The restaurant is huge & absolutely stunning! We went for: 🔹Three roasties 🔹Chicken chow mein 🔹Sweet & sour Chicken balls 🔹Salt & chilli ribs 🔹Sizzling canton pork chop 🔹Prawn crackers It was all incredible but the highlight for me had to be the three roasties meat and the chicken chow mein! ❤️

Food overall is bad and portions are tiny. Picture 1 and 2: Roast duck came cold and some pieces were raw. Server offered to microwave the duck, which is laughable. We were compensated with a duck leg, which was not even cut up into pieces. Picture 3: Mayflower signature rice, it was just unappetising. White rice covered in a boring sauce. Picture 4: Black pepper beef, £20. Contained 8 slices, so that is £2.50 per slice. Taste was okay. This restaurant used to serve up much better food, it has gone downhill since they moved to the new location. Very disappointed with the quality and quantity of food, I do not recommend it to anyone. £20 per person, none of us walked out full.

Chewing pork chops and the beef brisket are like chewing bubble gum. After eat the fried squid, sore throat for a week. But the waiter(Gary) who served us was really friendly, and we hung out afterward.

Overpriced mid food. Service is noticeably bad, rude waiters whom lack decency, very chaotic at times, I waited over an hour for a dish and was supremely dissatisfied when it arrived, I'm sure they missed it but claimed it was cooking time, they called me when I was sat in the restaurant at my table asking me where I was and honestly just go nice spice instead. No worth your time or money

Went to this restaurant three times the first time was to make a reservation and was met with an old gentleman on the bar who was hard to communicate with and was very rude in tone while taking reservation i was with my girlfriend so did not respond anything to it but was told i would get the table i wanted by the glass facing outside and was told it would be fine and would get it but when we came the next day the table we requested was taken along the same line and were seated in an uncomfortable table of four which was too big to converse in and enjoy the food so eventually had to sit adjacent rather than opposite and found the same gentleman in the bar and was not very easy to talk with the lady who serves us was nice but no checkbacks were done we were not once checked upon to ask about the food or if we wanted anything but to clear the plates before we finished we had reached at 10.50pm and the restaurant closes at 12 but we werent asked for any dessert or drinks refill or the chilli oil refills neither of us were told about last orders being at 11.30 so we assumed we would be told for desserts eventually a different lady came to our table and handed the takeaway boxes to us to pack uo and leave . Very unprofessional but my girlfriend loved the egg rice and she wanted to have the chopsticks but were refused. One of the nicest Chinese restaurants ive been to ruined by terrible service and closing time atrosities. Had been waiting till august 25 for them to reopen so we could check it out after hearing good comments on the food but walking into a disastrous and disappointing service. Went for the third time to get the egg rice my girlfriend loved and had a chat to the manager nice guy gave us a lot of recommendations on the food but me returning to the restaurant after having such an awful experience are slim to none on a dining maybe take aways so i dont have to deal with the rude old gentleman in the bar. Thanks for giving us a very amazing dining experience on our anniversary Kudos to the team

Lovely vegan food in an LGBT+ inclusive café and a workers co-operative too. We had one of the large all day breakfasts and a large salad. Definitely worth visiting when you're in Bristol

well not the best place of coffee. We waited 20 minutes for 2 coffees. They brought just one at the beginning with no dish, no spoon, only the cup. Then after 5 minutes they brought the other hot chocolate which instead of hot chocolate it was hot milk. Prices are not that cheap for what you get served (3,60 each). And also it came already spilled over the cup on some parts. Service could be improved.

I was looking forward to trying some food from a 100% vegan cafe, unfortunately i had to wait almost 50 minutes for my food to arrive. I would understand this wait time if it was busy but it wasn’t. Once my food arrived, the member of staff threw it down on the table and stormed off. I love lettuce but as you can see from the photo, the lettuce was bigger than the burger itself and I found the burger to be quite dry

Superb find. Vegan, locally sourced, community orientated and inexpensive. We thoroughly enjoyed the vegan burger and sandwiches on granary bread. Update: Most recent visit. Cafe Kino is going from strength to strength, not only surviving but even thriving. The food options have grown and are more varied than ever. Highly recommended; The smashed green pea and aubergine tempura on sourdough. An essential space.

Takeout Restaurant

Fast food restaurant
Taka Taka is a Greek restaurant that serves delicious takeout food. It has an inviting atmosphere and is clean, with friendly and polite staff. The food is delicious and well priced.
Ordered a click & collect on Saturday evening and have to say the service was very pleasing with the food being cooked just before our collection time to make sure it was still hot and fresh. I had pork gyros which was very well cooked and not at all chewy which some takeaway pork places can be like. The chicken sauce was unique and worked really well with the pitta and chips that was included. We did get a portion of the courgette nugget things (sorry can’t remember what they were called) - but they were really nice tasting and fresh. You get a substantial amount of food for the price so will certainly be recommending and returning.

had a deeply disappointing experience at Taka Taka in Bristol. The food was far from fresh—specifically, the chicken tasted off and was clearly not prepared recently. The chips were burnt, making them barely edible. The staff were rude and unhelpful, which only added to the unpleasant atmosphere. The restaurant itself had a strong, unpleasant smell, and the tables and seats were sticky, making it an uncomfortable place to sit. For the price charged, the quality was shockingly poor—definitely not worth it. I wouldn’t recommend dining here.

Absolutely love this Greek restaurant, food is amazing, really good selection, chips are incredible and my favourite dish skepasti. And all the grilled meat is amazing too. The service is always good and friendly. Great choice of desserts. Good selection of drinks, but mainly it’s all about the delicious food with generous portions. After a night out I love to go to this place and even have on a regular day it’s a treat to get a meal here. I keep coming back to this place as the food is so good. And sometimes I would just get some desserts to take home and it’s a delight with a coffee or a tea. The prices are good for what you get.

Quay Street Diner in Bristol offers a classic American diner experience with a trendy twist. The restaurant serves up a wide range of hearty brunch dishes, including fried chicken and waffles, huevos rancheros, and churros. The stylish interior features vintage film posters, rustic wooden tables, and retro red seating. With its outdoor seating and unique graffitied exterior, this hipster haven exudes laid-back industrial charm.
Highly recommend reserving a table as it gets very busy, but for good reason! I had the big breakfast and it was excellent, all items were perfectly cooked and the thick bacon was beautiful. The coffee was also great (black americano). The hostess was brilliant as well, she handled the very busy period with grace and professionalism and was so friendly and helpful. Please give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

I visited Bristol for a weekend and visited many places but this one is very poorly managed (maybe consider change of whoever runs this). This 1 star goes to the management as there is a lot of things that needs to be improved in this place and has a knock off effect on everything else. Visited Sunday morning for breakfast, we made a booking for 10:30, the place was massively understaffed. Because of lack of staff, the waitresses and people making drinks were super busy and couldn’t keep up (definitely not their fault) but they couldn’t provide good customer service due to that. Our coffee drinks arrived about 20-25 mins after our food, and then I found out my coffee was not what I ordered. There was constant flow of people coming in. Bacon pancakes were good, service was slow. We finished food and then coffees arrived. My vegan waffles were pretty average but that wasn’t the issue. This place is very popular and it needs a lot more staff members - because of lack of staff, customers are not happy when mistakes happen and then obviously it affects waiters (I’m sure this place has high staff turnover, I wouldn’t want to work here). As seen on photo, my table and chair was an inch in front of the disabled toilet which I found very grim regardless if the toilet was in use or not. This table should be for one person only and not for two. None of the above is staff members fault, they are trying their best but this is the only food place in Bristol that needs heavy management changes as clearly it needs works. Sadly we will not be returning here. I highly recommend “be natural cafe” in the market hall, their breakfast was 1000% better.
Malwina R — Google review
The wings were dry but there was a good quantity. Unfortunately they forgot to provide the sauce. Fries were good, crispy, definitely above average. The burger was good, could do with more sauce. The beef was interestingly shaped. I prefer five guys though.

Had breakfast here. Got there by 11.55am and we were still allowed to choose from the breakfast menu. The food was good. I had waffles and chicken with bacon. I don't like syrup but it's supposed to come with it. Also, there were lumps of sugar in the waffles. I think this is something I will never get used to. I don't have a sweet tooth so that threw me off but the chicken and bacon was crispy and nice. I had this with hot chocolate which tasted and looked good My husband had the diner Dreamland burger served with onion rings. It says with chips on the receipt, I honestly just noticed as I'm typing this review. But he was not served any chips. He had his meal with coca cola Overall a good experience. Meal came on time and was hot. Service charge was applied.

I had a very pleasant meal here, with two friends. The service was very pleasant, the food was particularly tasty, I can highly recommend the chicken waffles and bacon pancakes looked delicious. I would also recommend trying an oat milk hot chocolate if you get a chance as they are sublime. Overall the visit was very pleasant. I really enjoyed myself and the delicious food set me up for a lovely day exploring Bristol. I cannot recommend this diner enough if you enjoy the aesthetics and food of nostalgia Americana. Thank you
Guren — Google review
I’ve had food from this place a few times now. What I can say is: delivery is better than restaurant, chicken is better than beef and if you’re going to get fries, get the “dirty” ones. Good stuff mostly, but a little inconsistent in the quality and doneness of the food. Waiters are always great and helpful though.
Udea — Google review
A beautiful spot with a really nice atmosphere in the heart of the city. The food is excellent and really well presented, but beware that the waiters can sometimes take a little longer than expected. This is simply because they are so busy and they put in the effort. The food is worth the wait.

The Thali Restaurant Easton is a cozy Indian cafe with a bright and welcoming atmosphere, featuring sofas and fairy lights. Founded by Jim Pizer, who developed a love for Indian cuisine during his travels in the country, the restaurant started as a food truck at Glastonbury before expanding to three locations around Bristol. The Easton outpost reflects the vibrant spirit of India with its colorful decor and offers a menu that showcases dishes from Bombay to Goa.
Had a lovely lunch here with my family, it was half term so busy. Had a bit of a wait but to be expected especially if food is freshly prepared. Very chilled comfortable place to hang out that’s good for families, singles, oldies etc. Great choice of delicious Indian food available to eat in or take out. Good service from friendly staff and excellent value for money, especially if you have one of the specials. Lots of choice for all dietary requirements. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Omg I was travelling into Bristol to meet friends and thought it would be a great idea to order food to go ...which I did and I got notifications etc and a final email to say it was ready only to turn up and have to wait approximately an hour to actually get our take away!! If I knew there was such a long delay I wouldn't have ordered...if the communication was better we may have gone and come back or cancelled the order, in any case it's put me off going. The food however is really good 👍🏼

YUM! If you're looking for authentic Indian food go here! Very good and easily accessible for powerchairs/wheelchairs to get in. Unfortunately, they do not have an accessible disabled toilet as it has a step going up to it. It seems to be an old building though, so please be nice to them! Food is excellent and they have loads of vegan options. Seems to be very good value for money, so definitely go if you want something nice and nourishing in the winter. Really good for families!

Conveniently located in the city center, Tuk Tuck also offers a hearty selection of vegan options such as flavorful katsu curry with crispy tofu or pumpkin.
Really nice chicken katsu curry. £11.50 is extremely reasonable for the big portion you get and I enjoy it! Can’t say I’ve ever had authentic katsu curry to compare this to but I like the dish enough that I’ve gone back for it a couple times. Also interesting to note that I can eat it despite having terrible spice tolerance. I asked the lady at checkout if this dish was meant to be spicy and she said no - I ordered it and although I did find it spicy, I somehow enjoyed it? Usually if something is spicy to me I cannot eat it at all but I ate the whole plate. Just an extra bonus that this dish is helping me develop my tolerance lol!
Naya — Google review
Went here solo to try their tofu and mushrooms bibimbap. I have not had this 'standard' of bibimbap in a very long time. Only the mushrooms were cooked and seasoned properly. The fried tofu piece were overly dry, and along with the rice were lukewarm. The fried egg in the middle, along with the other ingredients, pretty much had no temperature. No sauce came with the dish, but some were available on each table. Had to clean the table myself. I do wonder if it's always like this. The experience was really disappointing especially given other reviews.

I had the chicken red curry with rice which came to £9 . I was not able to finish it as there was quite a lot . I also had the Veggie Japanese gyozas which were delicious! There isn't very much room in the place, so It can be difficult to get a seat. Nice place to pop in and have a bite if you're passing by in town!

The cuisine was great, and there were several vegan options. I would recommend coming here for any a meal because it was excellent. Also, the location is extremely close to the city. It provides a lovely, calm environment inside. My only concern was that they could need more ventilation because they serve fried food. The majority of the grease airflow circulates around the sitting area, making your entire clothing smell.

The price of the food is ok, I guess, but the price for drinks in this place is just silly, £2.40 for a can, A CAN! We had some lovely lunch here. Everything is vegan! I had a bacon Mac and cheese, chilli cheese nuggets, and my husband had chicken tenders. All of it was soo flavourful , this is proper vegan junk food. The service was a bit lifeless and curt which even for a place that is mostly a takeaway felt a bit low.

Wow, I mean wow. As an Australian, I keep gaslighting myself when I walk into vegan venues. Oowee Vegan Baldwin was exceptional.. The menu was so comprehensive and inclusive. I enjoyed "the big bacon cheese" with and impossible patty, bacon, American cheese, baconaise -hold the gherkins. This was a delicious "sometimes" Burger. Went for a birthday meal with some family last night, I was seriously impressed with seven lucky gods. The food for a start was incredible, as a 'tapas' style restaurants it comes out as it's ready which seemed to be quite quickly. This meant we started off with some and quite happily ordered more with the safe knowledge that it'd come while we were still eating. The staff were excellent, very kind and knew the menu well. Was offered a birthday drink, can't complain. Plenty of seating, some indoor and some out so book ahead if you want to sit inside. Highly recommend to anyone.

I visited the Japanese restaurant Seven Lucky Gods and was quite satisfied with the taste of the dishes. The fried potatoes were especially delicious – simply amazing. However, there are a few drawbacks. First of all, the menu doesn't indicate the portion sizes, which makes ordering a bit difficult, especially when you're with a group. Additionally, the portion size of some dishes doesn't match the price. For example, for £7, we received a very small piece of fish, which was a bit surprising. It would be great if the restaurant could address these issues. Also, keep in mind that the service charge is included in the bill. Otherwise, everything else was great – nice atmosphere and tasty food.

Fi Real Restaurant / Takeaway is a vibrant and cozy cafe located in the heart of Old Market. This family-run establishment offers a unique twist on Caribbean cuisine by serving up a delectable menu of vegan and vegetarian dishes. From jerk tofu to chickpea curry, their offerings are made with locally sourced and organic ingredients, ensuring both flavor and quality. In addition to their savory delights, Fi Real also boasts an array of homemade juices that are free from any artificial additives.
The tofu with kale was delicious and really spicy. I didn't expect the chickpea curry to be full of savour too. The only thing that we didn't like at all was the drinks. Too sweet for us, the smoothie too.

Drove an hour to eat here at 6pm on Monday. Doors shut, closed. Please update your hours! Rang the number and can see through the window a lady at the counter, she just hung up the phone without answering. We tried calling ahead of time too and assume she did same thing. Would have saved us a wasted trip and parking fee if she actually answered. Pretty disappointing. EDIT: To the response from owner (appreciate a response), however we called a couple of times on route and Open sign was not on, I even knocked on door. Looked closed and watched her hang up the phone she was just sitting at the desk. No other details, so we went somewhere else.

Delicious vegan food! And good value! My sister saw this recommendation on a Bristol newsletter. She’s not vegan. The staff was friendly. I asked them about the name and they explained! We’re non-native speakers. The food was great with generous portions. Bare in mind that if you want some carbs (e.g. rice) with your mains, you need to order a side. Look at the prices! That’s why it’s cheap. I asked for a box to grab the leftover curry to have it for lunch tomorrow. Gluten free mains available too. I wanted something with a sauce so I had the curry. And it was amazing! And I had the curry with the rice and pea (aka beans). My sister chose the jerk tofu and the sauce had great texture and taste. And the tofu was perfectly cooked. She loved it! The kale was really tasty too. We were curious about the fried dumplings. It wasn’t my thing but my sister loved them! We loved the fried plantain too! The were perfectly ripe and sweet. I had the Guinness punch - since it was one of the last remaining Fi Real drinks (they’re in the side fridge by the way). It was interesting and with a nice texture but I don’t have a sweet tooth. The atmosphere was quiet - Sunday evening. Everyone was just chatting and the music added to a good vibe. LGTBQA+ friendly.

Wow! What an absolute gem of a place! The food was amazing and the staff were great. One of the best meals I've had in a long time. So much flavour. Can't recommend enough! Perfect, we will be back for more.

Jamaican curry chunks were delicious, jerk tofu also very good (great texture). Yummy rice and peas. Dumplings were alright (my nan’s can’t be beaten!). Overall, hearty and wholesome. Service and atmosphere were ok. Very quiet for bank holiday Monday, although did see a few takeaways.

So freaking good. I'm never disappointed. I wish I could eat here every day. You don't need to be vegan to eat here. I eat meat and this is better than most restaurants that serve meat. Interior of the restaurant is a little dated but you know I couldn't care less.

Cargo Cantina is a Mexican cantina located in a restored shipping container at Wapping Wharf, Bristol. Despite being situated in an area known for upmarket establishments, this restaurant offers affordable prices for its tacos and starters. The menu features locally sourced ingredients, including free-range and organic meat. Inspired by the cantinas of Mexico City, it provides a casual dining experience with a variety of taco options such as shredded pork, chicken & habanero, and cauliflower & peanut romesco.
We visited here a while back with a friend, just about managed to get a seat, there's a few there, but it's super popular and no booking in advance. Great selection of tapas on the menu and a great choice of drinks, especially the cocktails which we all enjoyed!
Jake P — Google review
Nice helpful staff. Food was excellent, really nice, lovely tangy salsa, juicy chicken, overall great quality ingredients, recommended. Only reason it's not 5* is the price. I ordered a chicken burrito and paid £4 extra for a large and £1.50 for sour cream. £15.40 for one burrito is expensive in my book. I actually checked with one of the chefs behind the counter if it was in fact a large because (as can be seen by the photo) it certainly wasn't massive. Excellent quality food which is the most important thing, just the portions are a bit off for me. Had the size I ordered been the £9.90, it would've been on the small side but perfectly acceptable compared to competitors, especially considering the quality Anyway, go, great food!
Alex B — Google review
If you come here and don’t get the nachos.. you are making a GRAVE mistake. These are the best nachos I have ever had in my entire life. Must go. The tacos were good but I felt we needed sour cream! The nachos with all the sauces and chorizo and chicken was insane and more than enough for 2-3 people.

Just behind M She'd and nicely guarded from those horrible diving seagulls. Bar staff very friendly and full of recommended local drinks. On hot days, chilled water is served as soon as you are seated. Nice.

Been here a few times now. I travel up from Torquay just to eat here. Ceviche Tostada and Hibiscus Margherita are my favourites but its all so so good. Thank you again. Daughters reaction to her first taco was priceless. 👌🏾

We had the sharing platter that was £25pp (for 5 of us). All of the dishes were flavoursome, our waiter was extremely helpful as well. What let it down was the wai, we had to wait almost an hour for our starter (fully loaded nachos), where it was difficult to find the chicken and chorizo (this is definitely a starter for 2 max only). We also then had to wait about an hour for our main and our first set of drinks (margaritas) only came with our nachos.
Pretash P — Google review
Super friendly waiters and waitresses, great food and lovely atmosphere. Only thing we would do differently is go for the specific taco options rather than the vegetarian sharing platter.

2024: Great nachos and had awesome tacos here before. Not a cheap eats but pretty authentic (yes I’ve been to Mexico). Update 2025: Went back here with the same friends and had an even better time. We had the share platter and it was super tasty… so much food and so well done. The staff were also super attentive. Have upped my ratings to 5.

Pizza restaurant
Italian restaurant
Restaurant
Bosco Regent Street is a modern mid-century restaurant located in the heart of Clifton, Bristol. The owners were inspired by their holidays in Italy to bring authentic Neapolitan pizzas to the area, and they have since expanded their menu to include a variety of Italian dishes. Known for their wood-fired pizzas, Bosco Pizzeria offers creative creations like the funghi pizza with caramelized mushrooms, mascarpone, and white truffle oil.
We had a wonderful lunch here on Saturday. We managed to walk in and get a table, though it was busy so I would recommend booking. We had to sit at the bar, but I loved watching the pizzas being made. We had a courgette salad which was extremely tasty and fresh. The salami pizza was very good, but the star for me was the Fresca pizza which had fresh balls is mozarella, prosciutto and rocket that were added after cooking and therefore tasted so fresh. The waiter was friendly and helpful and the it was great value for money. B would definitely come here again for pizza!!

We visited Bosco at Regent Street for the first time on the last day of August 2024. Their interior space is really nice and yes, they have a genuine pizza oven. Their staff have welcomed us with a smile and more than happy to help with questions on the menu. The pizzas do arrive instantly, but on the downside this means you’re eating your pizza before your starters or salad. Everything tasted amazing, and we will definitely be visiting again soon.
Chrysanthos ( — Google review
A good solid restaurant, service the best part but food could be better. Live nearby. Staff always been helpful and enjoyable but the food was better in the past than my most recent visits. Pizza is much better than their other offerings. Nice interior and atmosphere.

Throughout time, many great Joel’s have emerged; Joel Dommett - a frighteningly funny man, Joel Edgerton - a strikingly handsome bloke, and Billy Joel - a peerlessly talented gentleman. But there’s one that takes them all in a man-versus-Joel’s challenge - Mr Joel “FunnyHandsomeTalented” Bosco-Clifton. With a surname of Bosco-Clifton it was probably written in the (5) stars that he would thrive at this beautiful restaurant, but credit needs to be given where it is due. With that sort of pressure at birth, you’d forgive anyone to crumble, yet Joel grabbed a hold of that mantle and thrived as the Wednesday afternoon Maitre D. He was attentive, polite, thoughtful, wise and shared playful anecdotes to put my mind at ease after an acute case of the “what-pizza-should-have-itus” (an affliction that many can relate to). Keep up the good work Joel, and thank you for having us.

1/6/2024 Tasty Italian restaurant, we knew them from other branches. Can’t miss the pizza ( the dough is very good, crispy outside and soft inside) and arancini ( see the melting cheese from my photo), as well as the coffee ( aroma, after taste…. top 3 in Clifton on my list). Surprisingly got 50% discount today for the soft launch this weekend. All of the food and drinks is amazing, except the batter of calamari is too soft and loose. And luckily we have Kat to serve us, she’s cheerful, helpful and attentive, she is really a gem of the restaurant. Great love and definitely will return and recommend it to my friends. P.S.: -remember to check with staff of their “ today special pizza “ it may surprise you. -If owner find my review, please add back tiramisu on dessert menu. -Pannacotta on the bill marked “ Free”, apologies from the restaurant of our long waiting time.

Lovely, delivious food and athmosphere. Had the best warm salad with pak choi, tenderstem broccoli and pan-fried oyster mushrooms in sesame dressing. I also had a great black pork katsu. If I am ever back to Bristol, I will definitely visit again.

Very inconsistent - quite disappointed. The first time I visited Kibou, was a 5 star experience. The service was 10/10 and the food was amazing as displayed in the first picture. The second visit (no more than 2 weeks later) the quality seemed to have dropped dramatically. I was served by the same staff, I noticed the service was terrible compared to the first experience. I had ordered the same dish and the food quality/ presentation was appalling, as seen in the second photo. I was actually made to feel like I had done something wrong. I genuinely can't figure out the reason things were so different. If it wasn't such an important dinner, I'd have left. Won't be returning as I'm not sure how I'll be treated or what the food quality will be like. One thing for sure, is the prices will be the same regardless.

Kibou great take on Japanese cuisine in Clifton Bristol. Portion size here is slightly bigger than most restaurants of this type & the food was fresh tasting with it also being very well presented. Maybe we arrived early but we were put upstairs which seemed to be away from the main bar?? I don't know maybe diner's go upstairs? Service was great really but a little quick to remove plates literally as soon as we'd finished any course. Still 100% recommend

Honestly my new favourite restaurant! Came here for a nice meal out and I am still dreaming about the volcano roll!! The visit and food was beyond my expectations and for what it is, it’s worth the price. Loved all the food we had !! Drinks were lovely too- I loved the Yuyake. Think I would only want the music to be turned down a bit as sometimes it was hard to hear each other when the restaurant also got busier!

Lovely place to eat Japanese food in Bristol. The sushi mix platter was very tasty and fresh. My chirashi sushi had lots of toppings and ingredients. I would have prefers the the rice to be cool rather than warm.

Very tasty, but quite expensive! A great treat for a special occasion. I highly recommend their takoyaki - spicy, sweet, incredibly tasty, served at a great temperature! Staff were very attentive, and kindly discounted the bill when a dish arrived late. Free tiny paper cranes at the end of the meal!

Smiling and helpful staff, average food and atmosphere. Edamame with Black salt and dynamite prawns were good and tasty. Wakame salad and snow crab rolls were below average, mainly no taste. Maybe the worst wakame salad I’ve ever had (sorry to say but restaurant should renew this dish) Best roll was Bluefin Tuna which was tasty and worth to order. Also wasabi and pickles were at good quality.

Ordered a large haddock and two medium chips from Just Eat this evening. The chips were awful; tiny portions, well overcooked and dry. Been going here for years and without doubt the worst I've ever had. Rang them to complain and all I got was sorry and that they are busy! Sadly service has declined in recent months, a real shame as I used to look forward to a Farrows and recommended them to friends.
Christian P — Google review
Been going here for years the price has gone up as the portions have gone down. Used to get 4 halloumi but now 3 and the chips sizes are less than half of what you used to get. Wouldn’t mind but it is expensive for what you get now. Services was lovely, didn’t think much of the rest of the staff. Shame.

Very disappointed. Went in Saturday 8.30..chios weren't that fresh and cod although a substantial piece had obviously been cooked a while before.
Brigitta L — Google review
The food is always good but the service if you go into the shop is awful. Bunch of children serving, clueless as to what you’ve ordered and serving other people their food before you even though on this occasion all I ordered was a large chips. Not sure how anyone who’s ordered after me can get their food before considering one chap ordered a small chips. Fuming. As you can probably tell.
C G — Google review
FIRST AND LAST VISIT. My Mum and I wish we had continued to drive past this fish and chip takeaway with such a good reputation! Our experience was certainly memorable, but not for the right reasons. £20.70 for two regular fish and chips with 1 curry sauce. The chips had obviously been sitting in old oil for a considerable time and the fish was unexceptional. I still have the oil taste in my mouth and the indigestion in my stomach the next day from the few chips I could eat by smothering them in the equally unexceptional curry sauce. Such a shame for a fish and chip takeaway who, from other reviews, can obviously produce edible food from time to time.
Miriam P — Google review
Cute little place without much seating or parking nearby. Overall the experience was okay, but the service was oddly trite and not warm (which is surprising for the UK). The fish and the pickled eggs were definitely the highlights. The egg in particular was nice and light with a tart finish (not overwhelming at all). The cod was well fried and wasn't too greasy. The chip order (medium) was far too large for one person and we're a bit over fried and dried-out for my liking, but maybe it was just a poorly made batch.

Jamaican restaurant
Bar
Bar & grill
Rice & Things is a vibrant restaurant and bar in Stokes Croft, known for serving authentic Jamaican dishes and homemade wines. The chef, who arrived in the UK 21 years ago, aims to unite Bristol's communities through traditional Jamaican cuisine that reflects his childhood favorites. Featured in Jamie Oliver's cookbook "Jamie's Great Britain," this tiny 12-table restaurant offers a taste of Caribbean food hailed as a new British classic.
Been obsessed with Jamaican food recently. This is the best I've had so far and really hit the spot. Absolutely hit the spot for the price one pays. Friendly server too! Wish there was some seating in or outside though in the hours I visited if this is possible.

Looking forward to trying out Jamaican food in Bristol and wasn’t disappointed! Very tasty jerk chicken and rice and peas. Festivals were nice but a tad bit too oily. Waiting time wasn’t too bad. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Also don’t expect everything on the menu to be available past 6pm haha!
Favour — Google review
Location: From the outside, the establishment has all the charm of a hastily assembled pop-up—shabby, cramped, and far from inviting. You step in, place your order, receive a ticket, and then attempt to wedge yourself into a waiting area that is scarcely larger than a broom cupboard, furnished with what appears to be a retired sofa. A small crowd had spilled outside, and unfortunately, several were indulging in herbal recreations, the smoke of which drifted freely into the waiting area. I had no desire to involuntarily participate in their extracurricular activities, so I retreated to the cold outdoors where, at the very least, the air was unpolluted. I will admit, waiting there was not the most reassuring experience. It wasn’t simply the fact that the crowd consisted entirely of men; a few looked… less than trustworthy. I found myself clutching my ticket as though it were an access pass to safety. ⸻ The Food: What arrived was, without exaggeration, the worst Jamaican food I have ever encountered. I refuse to believe the cooks are Jamaican. In my experience, Jamaican chefs can turn even the humblest ingredients into something soulful and flavourful - this, however, was a culinary identity crisis. I initially ordered oxtail, only to be told they’d run out, so I settled for brown stew chicken with rice and peas, accompanied by two dumplings. The portion size was respectable, but the chicken itself was desert-dry, and the peppercorn sauce tasted more confused than complementary. The dumplings were the true shock: shaped like miniature beignets yet somehow undercooked, with a texture alarmingly reminiscent of rubber. The flavour - if one can even call it that, was absolute zero. I am still genuinely baffled as to how a dumpling can taste of nothing. It defies logic. ⸻ Summary: Needless to say, I will not be recommending this establishment, nor will I be returning. It was a waste of money, time, and patience. Do not be deceived by the long line outside; perhaps these patrons simply do not know any better. Surely, somewhere in Bristol, real Jamaican cuisine exists, vibrant, authentic, and cooked with passion. My search continues. It simply cannot be this difficult.

The food speaks for itself just loook at the picture. Honestly Rice & Things is the best Jamaican takeaway spot in Bristol!! The lovely staff fill up the box everytime. I would recommend ordering the jerk chicken or fried chicken meal (thank me later) also their coleslaw is the best I have ever tried so order that. As someone who does my research when it comes to ordering food and is a foodie myself try out this takeaway and taste how good it is for yourself. I do wish in the near future that Rice & Things will have a delivery option.

Worst service ever! Went for a takeaway, says £14 on the menu but charged £17, told me they forgot to update it and I have to ‘take it or leave it’. How rude?! The new space looks cool and I understand you need to increase the price to cover the bills, but a bit cheap to do business this way don’t you think. Used to be a nice community dinner but now ask customers to pay for your mistakes, even as little as £3. Maybe need an upgrade for your service too.

Nice greek restaurant. We have been twice, the first time had quite a few more options on the menu than the second for some reason but the food was solid, definitely representing greece well. Portion sizes were huge which made up for the fact that it was a little more pricey than other restaurants. Good food, really nice atmosphere, would recommend

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Amazing Greek Experience in Kingswood! I visited this beautiful Greek restaurant in Kingswood on Saturday, and honestly, I was blown away from the moment I stepped inside. The atmosphere was warm, vibrant, and full of authentic Mediterranean charm — it really felt like being transported straight to Greece for the evening. The décor was tasteful, cozy, and welcoming, with lovely music playing softly in the background, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed and enjoyable dinner. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always smiling and making sure everything was perfect. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and take pride in what they do. Service was quick, professional, and full of positive energy. Now, let’s talk about the food — absolutely outstanding! Every single dish was bursting with authentic Greek flavors. The ingredients tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. I tried a mix of starters, including the tzatziki, grilled halloumi, and calamari, and everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. For the main course, I went for the lamb souvlaki, which was tender, juicy, and full of flavor, served with perfectly cooked rice and salad. The flavors were so balanced and delicious that I could have easily eaten it all over again! The desserts were just as impressive — the baklava was heavenly, crispy on the outside with the right amount of sweetness, and the Greek yogurt with honey and walnuts was the perfect light finish to the meal. What truly made the experience special was how genuine everything felt — the hospitality, the atmosphere, and of course, the food. You can tell this restaurant is run with love and passion for Greek culture and cuisine. Overall, it was an unforgettable dining experience — amazing food, excellent service, and a beautiful atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Greek food in Bristol. Whether you’re going for a casual dinner, a date night, or a family gathering, this spot in Kingswood is an absolute gem. I can’t wait to go back! 🇬🇷💙

Absolutely shocking. Attitude, arrogant, they domy speak English. The food looked and tasted absolutely revolting. Looks like a cat has been sick in a pizza box. Do not recommend AT ALL. Halloumi & salad ( as seen in pics) was £6.00 That “ stone baked “ pizza was raw Kebab was soaking wet.. literally the pitta had dissolved. Honestly shocked. They obviously don’t care what they serve or take pride in what they do. Very big shame & complete contempt to Bristol.

Is the first time I’ve used this takeaway, following a recommendation from a respectable shop in the area. Therefore, I decided to treat my wife and kids to a kebab following our good experiences in the Middle East. However, unfortunately our experience begun as soon as I asked the chef if the chicken and lamb meat rolls were already under heat. He said they were, but then proceeded to light the gas burners, so God knows for how many hours The Meat rolls have not been heated. anyway, we ordered one Doner kebab and one chicken kebab, both of which lacked freshness with the Doner kebab being quite anaemic and the chicken kebab being very crispy, but stale at the same time. The salad filling with the meat were not very fresh, and the bread I wouldn’t describe as a pita bread, but more of a doughy thick wrap. I also note that there were quite a few flies in the shop, that Should have been already eradicated. Overall, our experience was very low, and I’m only give one for all areas. No wonder this establishment has a 3.5 star rating which I believe is way too high.

Had an order from Uber eats. The delivery driver took 90 minutes which is a joke but maybe not the takeaways fault. Food was minging. Everything cold and soggy. Worst thing is the chicken was completely burnt. I rang to complain and the guy thinks chicken cooked on charcoal should look like charcoal. Completely burnt and tasteless. Salad was old and soggy.

Sad to report being very unwell after eating a chicken donner here. Nearly two weeks to recover so pretty serious. Yes, this was the kebab house to visit in Bristol for many years and I regularly enjoyed a tasty bite there. I wont be returning now . Proceed with caution kebab lovers :(

Do NOT get the garlic mayo from here- it has neither garlic nor mayo in it and seems to be rainbow pepper flavoured and unrefrigerated. Made me feel so sick and couldn’t eat the chips that had touched it. Also, the man behind the counter was unbelievably hostile/ rude and passed judgement on the fact we ordered a large portion of chips instead of a small (between 2). We would also describe him as aggressive. The chips were ok.

Bishopston Fish Bar is a fantastic fish and chip shop that regularly wins awards for its excellent food. It is well-known for its succulent chips and fresh, quality fish. The staff are always friendly and willing to help, making Bishopston Fish Bar the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal.
Wow!!! Absolutely amazing fish and chips from Bishopston fish bar, which we enjoyed sitting out in the sun last night on our decking with all of our family. We ordered both cod and chips and haddock and chips last night, accompanied by delicious pots of their home made curry sauce. Just wow... All deliciously cooked and served with a wedge of lemon. Fish was white and juicy and chips were just perfect... not one soggy chip❤️😀...Absolutely perfect! I rarely write reviews but this place without a doubt deserves a 10 out of 10.

Popped in for a collection of fish and chips. The service was quick and friendly, and the portion size was decent. The food was good overall, crispy batter and well-cooked chips, but I’ve had better tasting fish and chips elsewhere in Bristol. Still a solid option if you’re in the area and craving a classic chippy.
AsabaYT — Google review
Worst fish and chips EVER!! Asked for a large fish and chips was charged 17 pounds which isn't cheap but fine if it was fresh. Chips had been re fried and 70% were edible and had to be thrown away. They knew what they were giving me. Just means they are dishonest and ripping people off. Dozens of awards!!! For what???

Went to Bishopston Fish Bar last night with my girlfriend’s family and had an absolutely fantastic experience. We ordered cod and chips, haddock, gravy, and curry sauce—everything was spot on. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked, the chips were golden and crispy, and the sauces were rich and full of flavour. You can tell they take pride in what they do. The owner and staff were lovely, friendly, and welcoming, creating a great atmosphere that made the visit even better. Easily one of the best chippies I’ve been to—can’t wait to come back!

Took my small team of electricians to The Bishopston Fish Bar and it did not disappoint. Fish was crispy, chips were great, and not a single complaint from the team of hungry electricians (which says a lot!). Proper portions, cracking flavour, and top service. Easily the best fish and chips we’ve had in ages. 10/10 — We'll be there again no doubt...

Free fish and chips for the 1st 100 people but it's all gone 😁. All to promote Heinz Fish &chips sauce (formerly tartare). Very tasty and delicious. Great service.

I love Bishopston’s fish and chips. Their food is so moorish. I work locally and when people come into the office with it the smell is so alluring you end up having to get some yourself. The staff all recognise me and always know I have no salt and tons of vinegar on my chips only. They are all so friendly and warm. I won’t go to any other chip shop unless I am physically not in the locality.
Kiran K — Google review
This fish bar used to be amongst the best but the last two visits (today and about 3 weeks ago) have been disappointing. On both occasions the fish has been overcooked and a bit tough (batter quite brown). The previous time the meal was fresh out of the fryer. Today's meal came out of the heated cabinet, but was not very warm. Chips looked like they had been cooked a while ago and dried up. Nice friendly staff, but please get back to your old excellent ways. Will be trying somewhere else next time though.

At Fishminster, they fry their fish to perfection and serve it with delicious sides like coleslaw and curry sauce. You can also find a chip butty on the menu which is great for those who want something hearty to eat.
I found the Fish & Chip shop by accident and was more than pleasantly surprised.. The service was friendly and helpful.. the food standard was very high and the fish cooked fresh … Good quality food all round

Ordered food at 18:42 after over 10 different delivery timestimes the food arrived at 20:16,we called the the shopIto to but the guy was very abruptly to my wife blame just eat for no delivery drivers hence the need to change the times so much.l he had the cheek to say for us to go and collect I use an electric wheelchair so getting out of my van on north street is not possible. If you don’t have the staff to deliver don’t offer a delivery and because of when i ordered the food the food was served up and left in the hot box until the drivers got there hence the food wasn’t at its best when we called the shop the guy wouldn’t accept responsibility and in his opinion the food was of the best quality and we shouldn’t have a issue. A £12.50 jumbo cod which was mostly batter and a regular cod is a rip off, won’t be ordering a jumbo fish again. Both portion of chips had about 25%what seemed very small off cut of the potatoes. Really not the best value for £35 for 2 meals from north street in Bedminster. Not a Michelin star restaurant is it it?
Kevin P — Google review
This is a difficult review to write because I was looking for fish and chips specifically and was really happy to find Fishminster open this evening. I had a nice chat with an interesting, friendly Gent, not sure if he was the owner or not, the person who served me was polite and efficient and the food was ready in about 7-10 minutes ish and the price was reasonable. I ordered Pollock and chips and a pot of gravy (weird combo I know but I fancied some gravy haha). The Pollock was pretty good, nice flavour, pretty well cooked and the batter was crispy but sadly the chips really let the meal down. They didn’t taste fresh, they tasted stale unfortunately. I can’t explain why, I assumed they were being cooked fresh as I was the only customer at that time but none the less they were stale as if they had been left in the warmer for some time. The reason I have chosen to leave this review is because it seems like such an easy issue to fix. For the cost of a potato or two I feel that it is a false economy to re use old chips. If the chips were fresh every time there would be very few if any bad reviews regarding the chips. Please forgive me Fishminster for a 2 star review but I do hope my comments are taken as they are intended which is constructive and fair.
Alex W — Google review
Can only assume they’re capitalising on being close to Ashton Gate to raise prices beyond all reason - £4.50 for one pea fritter is staggering, even for Bristol. Gutted as it’s the only chip shop in the area, would be in often if affordable.
Matt T — Google review
The fish was fresh and the batter crispy but the chips were not fresh and the oil had turned everything rancid. With curry sauce mushy peas and garlic mayo it ended up being more expensive than fish and chips at the Spotted Cow not far away which is really nice

Visited here after the Balloon Fiesta based on reviews here. Wasn't too far away and we could head back to the Midlands easily. While the premises are nice I found the food somewhere between average and good. The food is freshly cooked but despite this it wasn't piping hot, just hot. The chips were not too greasy and a decent portion. The fish batter was crispy, not too heavy. The fish, while fresh was decidedly thin (see the photo I added) and looked like it needed a workout. All things pointed to an epic visit. Poshish website (which had fish pie on the menu - but it had become extinct on our arrival) and nice photos. But all in all was a bit of an anti climax. It was nice to get the food in a cardboard serving box. I almost want to give a fourth star for that. Potential is definitely there to raise the bar, I hope they do.

Just ordered Cod and chips, while the cod and batter were lovely the chips were not. Definitely not fresh they were hard and very dry. Disappointing at £11

Fish and chips takeaway
Fast food restaurant
Clock Tower Fish Bar in Bristol, located in Kingswood, has gained a strong reputation as one of the top chippys in the area. Voted as the best fish and chip shop in Bristol by Bristol Live, it offers high-quality produce cooked with care and skill. Operating from Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner, they provide both takeaway and delivery services. The establishment is known for its friendly staff and delicious food, particularly fresh cod with chunky flakes in a top-notch batter.
Number 1 fish and chips restaurant Even my Hungarian chef dad said Simple the Best Highly recommended
Beata M — Google review
I wanted to give Clock Tower Fish Bar 5 stars as the food was great, chips tasted crispy and fluffy inside, Irish curry sauce was rich, creamy with a good amount of hotness and the vegan battered sausage, the batter was light, taste was fantastic. The place felt a little dated and a little dirty. A cook came from the back, he had a cold or something and not once but twice swiped his nose in his fingers and then without washing his hands proceeded to handle food and serve a customer. Luckily it wasn't us. The server was pleasant, obviously saw us looking at the vegan menu, went to the counter and told he would take our order soon, waited about 3-5 minutes which is fine. I said I'd like to order from the vegan menu, he turned to the other guy and asked if vegan menu was on. The guy said chips, Irish curry sauce and sausage /battered sausage, this was great, as its definitely more than other chips shops. Food tasted great, would recommend chips, Irish curry sauce and battered sausage. Fantastic that they have a vegan menu. Overall was good experience.

The chips are lovely tasty crispy juicy shop made (not those horrible floury pre frozen ones) and look at the fish, cooked perfectly and lovely crispy batter. I couldn’t eat all the chips. Thanks for being so nice :)

I have always had a nice fish and chip here, generous portions, and room to eat inside if you like. Easy to find on the High Street right by the clocktower, and it’s been here as long as I can remember!

Food and drink 9/10 Service 7/10 Decor and atmosphere: 6/10 Service speed 8/10 Cost 7/10 The best: Being from NZ I haven't been able to find a decent fish and chips in the UK until now! The worst: Small menu but I guess you are really here for only one reason. Price isn't cheap but on par with other places which serve up average food. The lowdown: The cod is fresh with big chunky flakes in a top notch batter. Chips? Well they are hand cut and smooth... It's almost like mashed potato on the inside! Chips are chips but these guys do em good! Place itself is a bit bleak but you probably aren't planning on dining in and will take away. Will be my go to spot for my cravings.
Benjamin T — Google review
We recently bought fish and chips at the clock tower and it was really nice. The batter was crispy, chips were lovely and fluffy on the inside, and the temperature was still good by the time we drove home. The place is really clean, and offers seating if needed. The seating area has had a face-lift since my last visit. The staff are friendly and whilst the food was cooked fresh, it was served quickly so we didn't have to wait too long.

Nestled in the vibrant Gloucester Road of Bristol, Ciao Burger has been a beloved destination for burger enthusiasts since 1991. This charming eatery caters to all tastes with its diverse menu featuring beef, chicken, and vegetarian options. One standout item is the indulgent Double Danish burger, which perfectly balances crispy bacon with zesty blue cheese mayo. While some patrons reminisce about its predecessor Schwartz Bros., Ciao Burger still delivers delicious offerings that keep customers coming back for more.
Burgers are mind-blowing, no doubt in it. Last time I visited their dine in was off for some reason.

Don’t get caught out like I did this is not the ciao burger Bristolians knew . Such a shame I’ve been buying blue cheese burgers since they first started many years ago . Easily the best burgers in Bristol until they were taken over a year or so ago . I hate to be that person and I tried to like them a few times but it is awful now. Please can the owners bring this back up to standard , you had the best customer base in this place .
Simon M — Google review
Used to be the best burger bar in Bristol, but what I had last night was like something from Iceland’s cheap freezer section. They even put two burgers in just to make it look like one decent one. Shouldn’t have bothered. The chips were cold, floppy and uncooked too. Another great food place on Gloucester Road bites the dust.
Hayley R — Google review
Had a burger last night, absolutely awful. This burger outlet used to be one of the best in Bristol, but it seems to have taken a dramatic nose dive. Poor quality meat , rubbish bread and not a very nice taste. Please try and get back to the standard it used to be!!
Paul W — Google review
Staff did not seem to understand their own menu. Requested the veggie deluxe burger with vegan cheese (as per advertised) and after correcting the staff member who put the order down as something else, I felt best to make sure it is vegan cheese (as advertised), only then to be told they don't do vegan cheese as "everything has changed". I pointed to the advertising board which shows vegan cheese (Ve) with this particular burger only to be told "the sticker must have fell off". Great work guys you know how to go downhill.
Mike H — Google review
Having been a loyal customer of Ciao Burgers for almost 30 years, it saddens me to see it now. The food quality was always it's USP for a small takeaway hidden halfway up Gloucester Rd, however the chips were served soggy and the burger patties were cheap, unsubstantial and tasteless. Such a shame to see it fall like this.
Mike G — Google review
Gutted to be writing this ‘bad’ review. Ciao Burger and prior to that, Schwartz Burger have always had a huge following on Gloucester Road for many, many years. 30 odd years!! Renowned for its quality burgers, crispy fries and efficient, friendly team…the atmosphere had a real buzz to it! Things have changed. Sad times indeed. The burgers are standard.. nothing about them shouts ‘Ciao Burger’. Was given the wrong relish (chilli instead of tomato… 🥵 t’was painful and killed the burger). The fries were tasteless… nothing like they used to be. Huge wait for a relatively small order.. so I spent it reading all the unfortunate bad reviews and waited in the hope I would proved wrong. Gutted. I just hope those who need to know read these reviews, take note and save Ciao from fading into nothing but the history books. Such a shame to see it dwindle.
D S — Google review
Ciao used to be the best burgers in Bristol, alas no more. My burger tonight was proper rank, cheapest worst quality meat possible. Basically ropey kebab house burger for proper money. Fries were rubbish as well. Just an absolute shame, avoid.

We visited here for a quick bite to eat before a gig as it was close to the venue and our transport links. It was quiet which is such a shame but it was early and mid-week. I’m glad though as it meant our food was served super quickly. We both had pizzas and I was pleased you could choose your own base. The pizzas were super thin but not lacking in taste at all. Really nice, fresh flavours. The mac n cheese pizza was a nice twist (we recommend the mustard base!) Our server was super friendly and helpful. There is seating upstairs and the toilets are in the lower ground floor down another flight of stairs so worth considering if you have accessibility issues.

I was in Bristol for the weekend and went here after reading lots of positive reviews. Unfortunately had a different experience. Just an average beef burger, not fresh. Felt like was cooked an hour or so back. Quality did not match the price at all. If I lived in Bristol and paid 6 - 7£ , I would have been totally happy with it. But the effort I put in to go there after reading those reviews, and the price I paid, really disappointed.

We went as a group of Explorer Scouts and sampled chips from several local chip shops. The Fishing Boat was excellent. Quite disappointed, I am in the area for business and we saw this fish and chip shop with the statement of traditional fish and chips but the food was far from it The chips were inedible the battered sausage was overcooked and dry the mushy peas were all juice no peas the half pounder burger was ok. The picture was my meal which went in the bin unfortunately.

The best pizza I have had in a long time. As good as in Italy (and I am half Italian so I mean it!). The chef is very friendly and professional, highly recommend this pizzeria ! We order take away there very often.

This isn’t just a pizzeria—it’s a culinary masterpiece! From the moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly baked dough and simmering tomato sauce wraps you in a warm, cheesy embrace. The crust? Perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and airy on the inside—a true work of art. The toppings are so fresh, you’d think they were picked from a garden that morning. The cheese is a golden, gooey symphony, and the sauce is tangy, sweet, and rich in all the right ways. But it’s not just the pizza that shines. The staff treats you like family, the ambiance is cozy yet vibrant, and every bite feels like a celebration of Italian tradition with a modern twist. This place doesn’t just serve pizza—it creates memories. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. This is the pinnacle of pizza perfection. Bravoooo

We just ordered from this lovely pizzeria takeaway and were really impressed! I had the Mediterranean omelette, it was huge, packed full of flavour and had that perfect rustic, homemade feel. My partner went for the Risotto Pollo e Funghi, which was freshly cooked, generous in portion, and full of rich, comforting flavours. We also had the garlic mushrooms cooked in a delicious garlicky sauce, a great side. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. Very reasonably priced too! Highly recommend!

I had a takeaway from here so cannot comment on service/atmosphere… but the food was disgusting. The worst lasagna I’ve ever had, it’s like someone poured a whole bottle of salt on top, alongside it missing the top layer of a lasagna. The cheese was so thick and chewy, and there was cheese on the garlic bread that we didn’t ask for - alongside half of the baguettes were burnt. The burger was also very unappetising as we left half of that too. Overall poor experience, which I am gutted about as it was my first time eating here, but had heard great things.

The menu features an array of pies ranging from traditional flavors to unique creations like ice cream pies and toffee apple.

We visited Pieminister for our wedding meal on Friday. We didn't want a standard wedding meal preferring to have a more informal get together with friends and family. We opted for the bottomless brunch. On arrival the staff had gone the extra mile. The table was tastefully dressed, there were welcoming and congratulatory messages. There were fresh flowers and some gifts for us. The food was excellent, served in good time and was all well presented. As for the drink element of our meal...it just kept coming. The staff were very generous and never kept us waiting. They did brilliantly and all of our guests commented upon them. We had a lovely time on our special day. Your staff and venue were a big part of it. Thank you so much.
Mark A — Google review
As someone born and raised in Bristol, I have always felt a sense of pride when I see local businesses grow and thrive, and Pieminister is a perfect example of that. Knowing it started right here in my hometown makes supporting it feel even more worthwhile. From the moment we stepped inside, the experience was warm and welcoming. The service was genuinely outstanding. In particular, the lady with glasses and several badges on her uniform really made our visit special. She struck the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us space, checking in on us throughout the meal to make sure we had everything we needed. Her friendly attitude and professionalism truly enhanced our dining experience. It is rare to find such thoughtful service these days, and she deserves to be recognised for it. The food was just as impressive. I opted for the cheese pie, served with creamy mashed potato and a generous helping of vegetarian gravy. Every element of the dish was delicious. The pie had a crisp golden pastry with a rich cheesy filling that was full of flavour without being overpowering. The mash was smooth and comforting, and the vegetarian gravy tied it all together beautifully. It is clear that a lot of care goes into both the ingredients and the preparation. The restaurant itself was beautifully designed and well laid out. I particularly appreciated the warm ambient lighting, which created a cosy and relaxed atmosphere. It felt inviting without being too casual, perfect for a comfortable meal out. If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be the portion size. While the quality of the food was excellent, the quantity did not quite match the price point. For the cost, I was hoping for something a little more substantial. That said, the flavours and overall experience still made it worthwhile. All in all, it was a lovely visit with great food, exceptional service, and a setting that strikes just the right tone. I will definitely be returning, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comforting meal with a touch of Bristol charm.

On the hottest day of the year when you can’t imagine anything being worst than leaving the house, this was the best place to ever happen!! Came for bottomless brunch and the service was absolutely faultless on a busy Saturday. The food (especially moolin rouge) was incredible. Without doubt the best brunch I’ve had in a long time. I was so hesitant to do a brunch here to begin with but so glad I came as everything was great. Have already started to recommend so I’m sure you’ll be seeing me again!!

Not a restaurant I ever use, pretty sure it was my first time in a Pieminister and the young man Dylan who was serving made me feel very welcome. He was polite, friendly and easy to interact with. Seemed happy in his job. Food came out quickly and was nicely presented. Cosy little place. Sat back from the bustling Broad Quay of Bristol’s City Centre I was quite content. You wouldn’t think from the outside it goes right back, so you can dine comfortably away from the street full of busy activity.

Lovely server who was very helpful and attentive. The food was ok. Chips and gravy were nice, coleslaw was their own style and in some kind of tomato based sauce rather than mayo. Got the goat cheese, sweet potato and spinach pie that was cheesy in taste but the pastry and portion size could’ve been better. Ginger ale was gorgeous and refreshing though. Also a great GF selection too which is brilliant when you really fancy a pie although it was too hot for me to try one.

Dylan was great - made our bottomless brunch an amazing experience- will definitely come back! Food was brilliant and so tasty!

Restaurant was quiet so limited atmosphere, the staff were attentive and the service was quick. The Moo pie with 2 sides was well presented and very tasty. Enjoyed my meal here whilst travelling to Bristol

Hamburger restaurant
American restaurant
Oowee Diner Picton St. is a laid-back, self-service eatery that specializes in plant-based burgers and chicken sandwiches. Despite the common perception of vegan food being healthy, Oowee recognizes that vegans also crave indulgent comfort food. This led to the opening of their third burger joint exclusively catering to dairy and meat-free diets.
After years of following these guys on their socials I finally made the trip to Bristol and tried it out. It was more than worth the wait. The burgers are amazing
Troy W — Google review
Had dirty fries which were good. My vegan burger was great but Nadia’s beef burger was overcooked and dry.
Nici S — Google review
Absolutely stunning food, and always quick service. Everything is well made and seems to be in house, (except possibly some of the cheesy bite sides but which are also amazing.) I keep going back just to try another menu item, they all sound so good! I can’t wait to visit the restaurant itself.
Phoebe L — Google review
Truly outstanding burgers and excellent fries. Funny, happy bunch of cooks, too. The park up the street is perfect to devour your sack of deliciousness and the offie next door has excellent craft beer in cans.
Sascha A — Google review
Visited the hole-in-the-wall location on Picton Street (the very first one!) - we were served by the bright and smiley Kyla who really brought some good energy to our bank holiday Monday. She was helpful in discussing the menu options and quick in preparing the food, which is some of the best we’ve had (which, in as vegan-friendly a city as Bristol, is a tall order). The food was delicious, flavoursome and all put together really well. It’s refreshing to have so many options and catered to all tastes. Whether you’re a vegan or not, a visit to Oowee should be top of your list of places to visit when you’re in Bristol.

⸻ Fantastic takeaway and great service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We picked up a takeaway from Oowee Burger in Bristol and were really impressed. The food was absolutely delicious – we had the burger, dirty fries, chilli cheese bites, and cauliflower bites, all packed with flavour. The sauces were especially tasty and tied everything together perfectly. Special mention to Aysha and Jack, who were both so friendly and helpful – they really went above and beyond to make the experience great. Highly recommend if you’re after top-quality comfort food and excellent service!
Anouska W — Google review
Great staff and good food! I had the jalapeño cheese fries and they were delicious
Noor S — Google review
Friendly staff, good service (either calling directly and picking up or through Deliveroo), and foremost DELICIOUSLY dirty! Burgers and fries are a delight. Good blue cheese sauce...chunky bas it should be. The 4 stars are solely because twice the delivery came (Deliveroo) missing one order. One time a burger and the second time, add bacon on fries, it's just sloppy specially when your expectations are high and constantly recommend it.

Bar
Beerd in Bristol is a craft beer and pizza bar that offers a wide selection of local and international artisan beers alongside delicious Italian-style pizzas. The hand-crafted Neopolitan-style pizzas are made fresh in a stone hearth pizza oven, with options including gluten-free and vegan choices. The bar also serves bar snacks like padron peppers, crispy pig skins, and cured meat platters.
Made our visit to Bristol extra special coz we will now have to come back to eat their pizza again at some point! 😊😊😊 Really delicious truffle pizza! Must try! Also tried their cider, love it!
Lera R — Google review
I’m here just for the weekend and really fancied pizza, so glad I came to this spot. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff were lovely, especially Abby who served me. I had the lunch deal and added a few toppings (£8 total is a STEAL) and the pizza was light, fluffy but not soggy! Perfectly cooked and although smaller, was actually the perfect size for feeling satisfied but not overfilled. I also had the margarita which was perfectly balanced, and felt very comfortable despite being a solo diner! Highly recommend
Jess W — Google review
Phenomenal pizza! Plus they can do any pizza gluten free, and the GF base is excellent! They were really considerate and on the ball with coeliac disease... Even marking it on our receipt - so you know the kitchen was informed! Garlic fries are an essential! Service is excellent and you can takeaway anything you can't eat. Should get 6 stars...
Glynn J — Google review
Incredible pizzas! Possibly the best pizza I have ever eaten. Lots of vegan and omnivore options, great happy hour deal and super friendly service from Abbie (or Abby...I didn't check the spelling) highly recommended, will 100% be back for more pizzas, fries and drinks.
Naomi B — Google review
Excellent service, really tasty pizza and we didn't have to wait for ages to being served or eat the food! My friends and I came for dinner tonight for the first time and it's been very nice. Thank you!
Codex S — Google review
Wow... This place is a real gem!! Aside from the great beer selection, amazing staff and some of the best pizza I've ever had, this place is just correct in every form.. I cannot fault it, early opening times, prices aren't hiked for the quality of hand stretched dough, cooked consistently on every visit, the sides are unique, the toppings are a good variety, it's strange to find myself wanting to become a local of a pizzeria / ale House, but it just works, well done, especially to the team 🙌🏻👌🏻 thank you!! Edit ... Just a brief visit on my return to Bristol, amazing food once again and also just discovered they do my all time favourite Lillys Mango Cider.. Super welcoming manager Rod doing his upmost as always... Thanks again
Pete D — Google review
Popped in here for some food and discovered the most delicious pizzas! Haven't had a really tasty pizza like that for ages. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere was just lovely and cosy especially as it's around Christmas time. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the St Michael's area.
Laura I — Google review
My husband and I have been here a couple of times and each visit does not disappoint. Really good pizza and sides, plus a healthy selection of drinks. Vibe is great -- cozy and relaxed. But best of all, the whole staff is friendly and accommodating. They look at the customers with an open smile yet still very professional. I've been to some restaurants where the staff is robotic, can't smile, and do not even acknowledge your presence because they don't even look at you (my ultimate pet peeve). So a big kudos to the lovely staff at Beerd. Great food and drink suggestions too from them. Two thumbs up.

Fried chicken takeaway
Fast food restaurant
West Wings & Grill, located on Bell Hill Road in Bristol, has garnered a strong reputation despite its limited operating hours. Although it's situated away from the bustling nightlife of central Bristol, this eatery manages to satisfy its loyal customers in the eastern part of the city. The establishment was previously known as Mayflower and has been serving delectable dishes since the late 1970s.
As someone from Sweden visiting Bristol, England, I stumbled upon this chicken restaurant, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight! The chicken was hands down the best I've ever tasted, with incredible flavors and perfect cooking. Beyond the food, the customer service was outstanding. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel incredibly welcome. If you're in Bristol and love chicken, this place is a must-visit for both the amazing food and the exceptional service!
Charu T — Google review
Me and my partner have been eating from this place when it was West Wings & Grill for around 10 years, when we seen it had been being refurbished we were quite excited to see the new menu. We ordered from here when it just reopened as ‘Chicken Land’ and we won’t be going there again. I’m guessing there’s new management and not the same people who own it because the quality of the food was awful and Just Eat are refusing to refund me despite images of the food and the awful quality of it. Delivery was okay didn’t have an issue, when it arrived it was Lukewarm despite only living a 2 minute drive away. Went to dip my chips in the gravy and it had been left in that pot for god knows how long it was solid and gritty - this was more than enough to put us off the food so most of it got thrown in the bin, it was also dry. We are absolutely gutted as west wings was our go to takeaway place, but we will never be ordering from here again that’s for sure.
Victoria D — Google review
This used to be the best fried chicken shop around in my opinion, but recently it's gone massively downhill. The chicken pieces were dry, the chips soggy and barely warm with very little peri peri salt even though we'd paid for the salt (which they never used to charge for!) And to top it off our order was missing the chicken strips. AND they've put their prices up, so you're paying more but the food quality has gone down the pan. Haven't been back since.
Gina H — Google review
Just reopened, place is looking great! Food was fresh, hot, crispy and enjoyable. Wish there was a touch more seasoning in the coating though! The spicy grilled wings though were full of flavour and real juicy. Deffo be back soon

Had a delivery from just eat. Went to wrong address food turned up cold. Ordered drinks but never got them. Rang restaurant and they were unhelpful and rude and hung up on my husband. Rang them back and said nothing they can do. Won’t order from them again
Debbie B — Google review
Chicken is ok but staff are very impolite and abrupt. The cheap brown bag also split on my way home so I lost half my food. Hygiene doesn't look great either no gloves or anything. I won't be coming back

The Charcoal Grill is a popular kebab shop that offers an amazing selection of food options for visitors. There are kebabs, fried chicken and chips, wraps, pizzas and burgers on the menu, making it the perfect spot for any meal. The kids menu is also great for little ones.
First time ordering from here the best kebab I've had, I had a lamb shish the lamb was cooked to perfection it was fresh full of flavour will definitely order from here whenever we want a kebab our go to Kebab shop.

Been going here for years - wraps usually made with care, filling and tasty. Tonight got home to tiny wrap - dry falafel and chili sauce - zero salad - no houmous - disgusting and a total waste of money and time.

I ordered online and my pizza came very dry and crusty burnt. Also pizza came uncut. Chips tasted awful. Pizza was also smaller than the size 12. Everything looks not good.

A great late night takeaway! I used to think the Grecian Kebab down by the arches was the best on Gloucestershire rd, but this one is better (particularly because you actually get the sauce you ask for!) Good stuff, lovely kebab & chips, thank you! Edit: please note the photo is some way into the kebab, it was bigger!

Thanks for the meat and chips today, you know who I am from 20/2 4.30pm, will come back for a massive order when I have friends round, would recommend this place they have brilliant customer service, lovely jubbly 👌
Dan — Google review
My chips cheese and gravy was dreadful, gravy was literally like marmite consistency, clearly the server had never made it before. Very salty and expensive for what you get at £7 for a large (not so large) portion of salty sadness. Won’t be back. If you don’t finish it when you’re pissed you know it’s crap.
