Coffee shop
Coffee Call is a beloved coffeehouse located in a bustling shopping center near -10. For over 30 years, it has been a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike. The cafe roasts its own beans, ensuring rich and strong coffee with chicory notes. Their signature cafe au lait pairs perfectly with freshly made beignets or beignet fingers that are fried to order, hot, and chewy.
On a road trip with my family and just passing through Louisiana but i desperately wanted to try a bienget. This shop isn't far off the I10. They were busy and making them fresh! They have plenty of seating and a shaker of powder sugar on eat table! They were delicious. Piping hot and covered in powdered sugar. They were fully cooked and nice and fluffy. 4.50 for 3 is a steal!

My grandmother used to bring me here as a kid and I always loved it. I returned with my wife and daughter for a little dose of nostalgia. Definitely not disappointed. Same charm and quality from when I was a kid. Definitely my go to stop in Baton Rouge for beignet's and ice coffee.
Nathan S — Google review
Such a delightful café with French-style pastries called beignets — they’re absolutely heavenly! You can easily spend the whole day here; it’s a perfect spot for freelancers, collaborations, or just relaxing with a cup of coffee. The vibe is cozy and inspiring, and the beignets are out of this world. Plus, it’s open until 10 p.m. — such a lovely place to spend an evening here in Louisiana ✨
Zenaya K — Google review
Coffee Call was so good, I found myself back the very next morning! What started as a quick stop for a classic beignet and café au lait turned into a full-on food experience. During my first visit, I ended up trying the turkey po’ boy and a comforting bowl of chicken noodle soup—and I’m so glad I did. A kind server walked me through the steps of building my perfect po’ boy, which made the experience feel extra personalized. After that, I joined the line to place an order for the beignets, and let me tell you—they were pillowy, warm, and just the right amount of sweet. They were so good, I came back the next morning to grab another batch to take home! The overall vibe at Coffee Call is relaxed and inviting. The pace is calm, and every staff member I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, don’t hesitate to give this place a try. It’s a Baton Rouge staple for a reason!
Djillisser K — Google review
Like the beignet here. But some recently visiting made me disappointed. I bought a chilli soup and I just want a bowl to heat it up. The cashier lady Linsey (I dont know name spell correct or not) tell me to wait for her to finish customer line (long line) behind me, then she will get me a bowl. This is not the first time she did it to me. Why she couldn't grab a bowl for me immeadiatly? Is is because I'm an Asian? Complained to supervisor and have the answer that they are busing so that they cant get a bowl. I have to ask another girl to get me that bowl. No respect, no come back
Cherry B — Google review
This is one of my favorite places in the world. When last I lived in Baton Rouge, Coffee Call was in the same shopping center where the Wal Mart is now. Obviously not that large, but it was larger. This site retains the style and charm of the older shop. Fresh coffee, beignets, hot chocolate, beignets -- the menu is longer than that, but without the tortuous specificity of that place with the evil mermaid. You go here for a good cup of coffee and a conversation with friends, or to read a good book, or work a crossword puzzle in the paper. There is no place like it in the world and I feel happier just knowing it exists. You should spend some time there, really. You'll be happier if you do.
J G — Google review
We wanted coffee on our way oit of Baton Rouge so we stopped here. It seems like a nice local coffee shop. Everyone was nice. We had 2 coffees and 2 orders of beignets. The bignets are a nice size. They were making them as we waited.

Cafe
The Vintage Baton Rouge is a popular spot that has gained attention due to its history with Cafe du Monde and Morning Call. After a fierce bidding war, Cafe du Monde secured the building lease, leaving Morning Call searching for a new location. Despite this, other bright spots like Vintage on Magazine Street and the New Orleans Coffee & Beignet Company continue to thrive. The Vintage remains an intriguing destination in Baton Rouge, offering a unique experience for visitors.
Cute little coffee shop downtown. Wife wanted the best biegnets in the state, so we were told to go here. Fresh, warm right out the oven with lots of powdered sugar yummieness. The atmosphere was quiet and modern with several different types of people there. Some on laptops working, others reading books. Everything was good about this place. Definitely recommend
Bowl 8 — Google review
Enjoyed this breakfast place on my last day in the area. They did a good job of trying to replicate the Cafe Du Monde beignets and the customer service there was good.
Gair B — Google review
We stopped by looking for coffee and ended up finding so much more: delicious food, amazing service, and lots of love for our dog. We ordered the brown sugar cinnamon latte and the avocado toast (both 10/10!). BJ even surprised our pup with a pup cup, which she rated 100/100 since everyone made her feel so loved and comfortable. Thank you for making our morning such a special one!
Ana M — Google review
Stayed downtown 2 nights, ate here twice! The avocado toast was amazing! I also highly recommend trying one of their daily featured drinks. Definitely will visit again! Thank you for the great hospitality!
Wick'd F — Google review
This is a place to stop when in the Capital District. Walking distance from hotels. Grab a menu and order at the counter to stay in or to-go. Beignets were fresh. There was plenty of coffee options as well as other refreshments. They do have a small food menu for breakfast and lunch items. Highly recommend.
Kathy M — Google review
Vintage is such a vibe! The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, and the service is amazing. My bartender Yogi was so sweet and attentive—she made the experience even better. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to
Amarie R — Google review
First of all, I ordered a croissant that was dry and hard and clearly has just been sitting out in open container as I saw the employee pull it out from there, secondly, since our order was to go order, it wasn’t until I got in the car and pulled off that I noticed that they gave us empty hard beignets!!!! Which doesn’t make sense since I waited in the restaurant for 20 minutes to get my order and everything was horrible. See pictures attached. This was my first time in Baton Rouge and at this restaurant never again

Nice little cafe plus bar in downtown BTR. Ordered a regular and matcha beignet and it’s soooo gooood!! Cashier was also super friendly and knows their menu. Plenty of seating and parking.

Rue Beignet is a charming spot located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, offering freshly made beignets using authentic and local ingredients. The cozy shop is perfect for catching up with friends or working on projects while enjoying hot beignets paired with various toppings and a cup of cafe au lait. Situated off Highland Road, this family-owned establishment is known for its light, fluffy, and perfectly golden brown beignets that are made fresh to order.
My daughter and I wanted to try beignets while visiting from IL. Rue Beignet did not disappoint!! The nicest man made us our order and was so friendly and nice!! The beignet’s were delicious and hot and fluffy. He even juggled for us!! 10/10 recommend
Gwynne K — Google review
The owner of Rue Beignets was so sweet and absolutely adorable! She gave us amazing service, and the food was just as wonderful. Everything felt so welcoming and warm — definitely a place I’ll be coming back to again and again!
Kelise M — Google review
Outstanding quality Beignets. Superb interior cell structure, moist & delicate. Well worth the visit. Nice staff.
George H — Google review
Such a cute little beignet cafe in a quiet plaza. The frozen café au lait is perfectly sweet and a great companion to the hot and fresh beignets. This store is run by friendly and hardworking staff - they're open 364 days a year (only taking Christmas off), so you can get your fried dough and coffee fix almost any day of the year. The tables are nice and clean even though they serve fried dough covered in powdered sugar. There's local art for sale on the walls and a cute little piano in the corner. A wonderful place to sit, have a coffee, and eat some beignets while you contemplate life. For local artists, you can put your art for sale here!
Ajax G — Google review
We can’t leave LA without having beignets! They were perfect! Hot and delicious! First time here though. The girls taking our orders at the register were a little shy maybe? Very quiet which seemed a tad stand-offish. But otherwise super cute coffee shop! So glad we found you!
LeeAnn L — Google review
This place is very good. We came on a Sunday evening it was a very cool atmosphere plus they put Nutella on your beignets as request. Definitely a must try if your new an town. Will definitely come back here.
Jared M — Google review
We stumbled on this spot during our road trip through Louisiana and instantly fell in love! The beignets are beyond incredible—soft, pillowy, and perfectly sweet. While we were waiting, the owner surprised us with some “fingers”-style beignets and even showed off some juggling skills—such a fun, unexpected moment that totally made our day 🥹. Delicious treats, great energy, and genuine hospitality. A must-stop if you’re anywhere nearby!

Another Broken Egg Cafe is a casual chain that offers a variety of breakfast items, including egg dishes and brunch sandwiches. This small restaurant chain from Lafayette has gained recognition for its delicious food, beating out both national chains and local favorites. The menu features classic American breakfast dishes with a creative twist, such as Cinnamon Roll French Toast, savory crab cakes, and omelets.
Our waiter was exceptional! I forgot her name, but she was very sweet and checked in occasionally. She had glasses, if that helps. 😊 the food was very good, and so were the mocktails. A friend of mine ordered one along the lines of "Pineberry," but I ordered the "strawberry lemonade" option. Very clean establishment, very friendly and open! 10/10.
Desdain R — Google review
Food was delicious, especially the beignet bites. Service was slow and we had to wait some time for the beignet bites to arrive. Also no pre-bussing so we crammed the dessert into a full tables of dirty dishes.
Emily S — Google review
I brought my husband for his birthday to start his day with a great meal and he really enjoyed it. It was worth our two hour drive to this restaurant. Trust me we will be back!!! Chance was the best server! Thank you, Chance!
Linda S — Google review
Our waitress name was Angel and her personality for the time she approached our table was just awesome. She was very knowledgeable of all the items we were interesting and her recommendations were awesome. Great atmosphere and great service.
Pamela D — Google review
Ok so i usually go here a lot but this last time was such a disappointment. I always get the shrimp and grits. Even the cater shrimp and grits for Mother’s Day. But what i got today was so bad. Idk if they have someone new cooking or what’s going on. And the portion is like 1/2 of what is was before. I will upload a photo but keep in mind this is scattered but barely any grits under there. And the taste is way different than before
Jessica R — Google review
Came in town and wanted some shrimp and grits. Family told me try this spot and baybayyy not a single disappointment at all!!!! I will be back every time I come back home. My visit was even better by my great server Stacy! Thanks for the drink recommendation Stacy 🥰
Sylvia T — Google review
I just want to say that my server today was absolutely amazing. Normally, as a vegan, I struggle with menu options and end up having to ask, “Can you make this with that, but without this?” But he was so gracious about it — not the least bit annoyed that my needs weren’t the standard everyday menu requests. He took the time to help me, checked whether they could make pancakes without milk (thumbs up — they could!), and made sure everything was going smoothly throughout the meal. We were even able to eat outside during the day, which usually isn’t possible unless the server goes out of their way to help — and he did. What really stood out was his attitude and vibe: just kind, patient, and welcoming. To me, that’s the mark of a star restaurant — when the staff goes the extra mile to accommodate guests even when it’s not “on the menu.” And I can’t forget to shout out the cook, because the food itself was delicious. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10 stars to Cody for making my experience wonderful!
Nety T — Google review
Food was amazing!!! Loved the fall specials!!! Our waitress Sherron was supremely prompt, professional, and polite. That is an understatement though, she is an amazing human who stole my heart and has my greatest respect! A very kind and personable woman. She was wearing a smile and in good spirit the entire service. Give this woman a raise!!

French Market Bistro is a charming restaurant located on Highland Road in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It offers a classic Creole menu and an extensive wine selection with over 250 bottle options and 15 wines by the glass. The cozy courtyard and French-inspired cuisine make it a perfect spot for a romantic date night. Known for its salads, seafood, and specialty meat dishes like broiled lollipop lamb chops, this bistro has gained a reputation for its fine dining experience.
Visited this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. This was my second time here. Would advise making a reservation like we did. Waitress was Anna. Drink was delicious. Lobster mac and cheese and Firecracker shrimp were great apps. The lobster in the Mac was seasoned nicely. The sauce on the shrimp was great. Had half the lobster crepe and seafood Romano. The crepe dish was very rich. Sauce was good for dipping. The lobster felt a touch salty. The pasta was delicious. Dessert was Mississippi mud pie and was a winner.

Came on a busy friday night and our service was great! Hudson gave us a nice spiel on the specials and great recommendations. We ended up getting a snapper special with rice pilaf, but felt it lacked flavor for being a $51 dish. We also got the stuffed grouper, which paired well with garlic mashed potatoes, but again the fish itself tasted a little bland. Great cocktail and dessert selection. Menu has lots of variety so we might come back to try other things.
Sadie W — Google review
I wouldn't come here for the service (C-), but the food was phenomenal (A+). I recommend what I had (eg the brie crab soup, half dozen chargrilled oysters, and the half duck). The folks I met at the bar were great too and made my experience memorable & enjoyable (ironic because they don't even work there). Of all the people serving behind the bar, only Sarah (Sara?) acknowledged me to take my order, and even that took about ten minutes while guests who arrived after me were helped before me. Very bizarre, unfriendly vibes. The Barback did keep my water glass full though! That was nice.
K F — Google review
One of the rarest times where eating a dish was an experience. I found myself taking small bites to enjoy the savory flavor combinations the chef put together. The chicken was moist and tender with great flavor. The fingerling potatoes seemed to be infused with an herb butter taste although it wasn't served covered in sauce. Although it was a 30 dollar lunch I would treat myself here again. If it was cheaper I'd go ever day and try something new.

TOP NOTCH FROM START TO FINISH!! We recently held my daughter’s graduation brunch at this wonderful restaurant, and I can’t say enough about the exceptional experience we had. From start to finish, the planning and execution were seamless—thanks to manager Ryan. His attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care made the entire process stress-free. He guided me through each step, offering helpful suggestions and ensuring everything was just right for our special day. When I ended up in an unexpected health crisis two days before the event, Ryan never blinked, offering to do anything he could to help! On the day of the event, we were equally impressed by our server, Hudson. He was absolutely amazing—attentive, warm, and on top of every detail. With a group of close family and friends, things could have easily become hectic, but Hudson handled everything with such ease and grace. Our guests felt truly cared for, and his service added a personal touch that made the celebration even more memorable. The food….amazing!! From the first drink to the last bite. The only thing we were lacking was a big enough appetite to order more! A BIG thank you to Ryan, Hudson, and the entire team for helping make this milestone celebration so special. We’ll definitely be back—and also be recommending you to everyone we know!

A very busy restaurant which is something I like. Staff very attentive and friendly. Tables cleared quickly and quietly without interruption. Once seated we were not rushed and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Riley steak lunch was fantastic! Recommend reservations.

I was really disappointed with recent visit. The portions have been cut back at same prices. The fish I ordered was half the amount we normally recieved. The lobster crepe was void of lobster. Service was good but I will need to find another upscale restaurant because I am not paying $200 for average dinner.

Shoutout Josh for making the world's most delicious "honey nut Cheerios" matcha! Made with oat milk, I'd petition for this to be a permanent menu item. It's nice to visit BR and be met with deliciously inventive drinks such as this. The space is beautiful, sunny and comfortable/spacious for remote workers or friends catching up alike.

When people think of coffee shops in BR, they may think Highland or Garden District. Ever since I helped manage Frankie’s Dawg House, before Stuart sold it, I used to go into Magpie daily for the cold brew. I haven’t been to this place for 8 years. They always have the most attentive and interested workers. The best baked goods. Magpie is amazing still, after all of these years! The tomato + herb goat cheese frittata was amazing. As well as the blueberry almond stitch!!

This was mine and my fiance's first time here. We have been to just about every local coffee shop in Baton Rouge and this one is easily one of the best in town!! Ellen and Karli were so pleasant to talk to, very helpful with suggestions, and definitely were a big part of why our first time here was so amazing! I can't speak on the food, but the food all looked like it was amazing and the dietary options were extremely inclusive! Will definitely be coming back!

I couldn’t really taste the vanilla in my latte, it was really bitter. But, great service and atmosphere. I will be back and try something different from the menu. Hopefully it will be better than what I had today.

Stopped here on the way out of town and OMG the vegan breakfast sandwich is the best. I’ve ever had even my dad, who usually hates anything vegan said it was super tasty. I also got the superfood latte which was 10/10. It was a bit busy when I went (around 10 am on a Saturday so to be expected), if I could go again I would go earlier in the morning to avoid the crowds. Wish I lived in Baton Rouge, I’d be here every weekend!

By far my new favorite fried chicken. Every piece is a work of art. Perfectly crispy and extremely juicy deliciousness in every bite. The Mac and cheese, red beans and rice, collard greens and the Cajun rice were all fantastic. I also loved the catfish poboy that was loaded with fresh delicious catfish. The little sweet potatoes pies ended the meal with a home run. The lady that ran the place was a delight and a sweetheart. The menu has many other items I want to try.

Knuckles sucking good... damn near at my own fingers off! I've been eating at this spot since I was a kind, and my dad is close friends with the owner, but that's not the half of it. Yes, this place is in the hood, and yes, it has recently been discovered by other people outside the hood, so it has become bigger. However, Mr. Delpit never switched up and never changed. He kept his franchise local and only spread to 3 places, but if im not mistaken, he closed the one-off plank road. The only complaint is,if you dont call in and order, then you will have to place an order, and it could be as quick as a 2 minute wait or 30 minute wait. BUT EVEN A 30 MINUTE WAIT is worth it. The chicken is amazing and the staff is friendly and professional. They are always busy, but they make sure to speak when they see you. On the up, man, they went into the wing business, and it didn't disappoint. We had all the flavors, and it puts any of your big block chain wings to sleep. When you go say hey to Troy and tell him them, Johnsons sent you! He'll know the judges! FYI, theres daily specials, poboys, porkchop dinners, oh, and sweet potato pies! Knuckle sucking good !

Just order a 12 piece with two sides for $40 plus dollars. Food was old. And candy yams tasted like they sat in the fridge next to something else and it soaked up that flavor. I have been to Chicken shack before and the food isn’t good but it was doable. But today. I was so mad and disappointed with what they put in my bag and charged me $40 plus dollars for I had to come and post this bad review. I

I would have to say no! Customer service was okay. We walked around the building to find a seat and each windowsill had black bugs, tables were dirty, and sticky. I’ve never eaten a breaded pork chop on bread..it’s always been fried and placed on sliced bread. The pork chop was not properly cooked, gummy, and red on the inside. My coworker and I both returned the pork chop with the stated concerns and didn’t want anything else and LET them keep the money as well. It was that dissatisfying. The side is an extremely small cup (maybe for a toddler) and was not satisfying. The sweet potato pie was tiny for the price and was diabetic sweet. There was too much of sugar in that pie. I would advise this location to pay closer attention to their audience, which the majority is African Americans who are prone to being diagnosed with diabetes. In addition, items with high levels of sugar makes it hard to actually taste the food. There seems to be a problem with producing quality food due to the influx of customers but that’s no excuse when it’s causing you to lose a customer and potential customers. I wouldn’t return for any reason and haven’t recommended any of my family/friends there. Eat at your own risk

2 piece Tuesday great special. But just because it's a special does not mean half fry chicken. Batter is not the same on any day. Serving there friends or people they know first. Crust coming off chicken. Quality is no more. If I'm waiting for chicken why isn't it hot

Ill be very honest, I have never really liked the food here but i keep trying to like it... but the fact that they had a mocktail menu was a huge plus!!! We came and drank and ate for the finale of love island!! One of the girls there went out of her way to put it on and that was so nice of her I really appreciated it!! The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful!! I do think they need to care for their plants more, pruning whats dead and falling off to make the scene look more green and alive, but im just extra!! Other than that, great vibes here and a great place to hang out!!

Been wanting to visit this place for a long time finally had the opportunity and mane was I….. disappointed. Besides the water ordered an old fashion mediocre must is say no identity at all. Started with the boudin balls as an appetizer ( well orderd an appetizer which came out with the rest of our order . Bummer! Wife ordered the chicken sandwich with the side of grits. The first bite of chicken sandwich she says it had no flavor . I ordered the sausage biscuit with (honey butter!) and a side of potatoes. Wife did not like the potatoes she mentioned they are dry! Hmm I thought they were pretty good myself had a lil smoky flavor to them . As you can see my biscuit was super dry. I called the waiter over to ask about the SMOKED honey butter , oh I’m sorry we are out of the smoked honey butter ! So here’s a flew slices of lard. Omg a completer horrible experience. Oh almost forgot the boudin balls are amazing came out piping hot a ten in my book ! And the grits were are delicious . The boudin balls and the grits saved the day . Phewww. Complete bummer did we order the wrong things or what. Please explain the long lines.

The bartenders were incredible and very knowledgeable. The music carried the vibe of the earthly environment perfectly and made me feel like I was living in a garden paradise. Truly a place like no other in the greater Baton Rouge area and I have been praising this establishment’s atmosphere for years. The only issue I had was the lack of food options that are suitable for a clientele base that takes their health into account. The drinks, environment, service, and location are awesome but I wish the culinary options included a more plant based audience without forcing us to eat hummus (like EVERY other place) or a leafy green salad (YAWN). Less fried, more grilled, please! Overall amazing experience except the food options.

I came in alone and sat down quietly before anyone else at the bar. Two ladies were working behind the bar and both awkwardly ignored me and only acknowledged the men who entered in DIRECTLY behind me. It was the strangest thing because it was intentional- they deliberately avoided eye contact. I was left seated alone with no acknowledgment. I expected at least a “hi, one moment” or something decent considering I came in alone at 10:50 a.m. The place opens at 10:30. Instead, they ignored me and addressed the guests who came in and sat down after me. Customer service is terrible, so i hope the food is worth it. will not be coming back and will not be recommending this place to anyone. most awkward solo birthday brunch with the weirdest people i have ever experienced.

Love that this concept has come to Baton Rouge! White Star Market is a lively place at lunch, with people young and old bustling through the hall. Lots of options to choose from with Tacos, pizza, Cajun, a bakery and a full service bar. I had a Cajun Cubano from Fete a la fete. It was delicious! Looking forward to going back. My only complaint is that it is so popular, it is tough to find parking and a place to sit during peak hours. If you’re not a fan of crowds, I’d recommend visiting off peak.

Very neat retail space with a lot of great food in one place. It was hard deciding what to eat with all of the great options. I enjoyed the building decor and lighting. The parking spots are a little tight for larger vehicles, but still managable.

The White Star Market is a bit of a hidden gem, at least for me. I saw a recommendation for this place on Google and had to try it out. It is a mall food court on steroids. What a great concept!!! A bunch of tables in the middle with restaurants surrounding it. These include: * A pizza place * A taco place * A ramen noodle/phó place * Cajun food * Juicy place * Another Asian place * A coffee joint * A bar in the corner * And at least one other place that I cannot remember what it is. This is awesome!!! Finally someplace to go when I ask her where she wants to go for dinner and all I get is “Whatever.”

I loved this place - we visited a similar place in New Zealand over Christmas, and ate there several times because there was something for everyone. My husband and I had oysters at Jolie Pearl and they were fantastic! We had the chargrilled (yum) and the lobster butter baked (less yum but still great). The servers were friendly and engaging and offered to shuck a raw oyster for me to try when I asked a question about varieties. Can't wait to go back, but I here parking is a problem at lunch.

Today we experienced this location. We ordered The Addy, Ramen. The flavor was so delicious. Noodles cooked a bit too long. Sticky. But it still was delicious. Also ordered the spicy chicken “taco” for those who may not know. I wish I could give you the names but I can’’t, sorry. I also got like the Pho “Nachos” with tots and omg they are soooo good! Everything was spectacular. Got this wine slush at the bar across the way..so delicious was like drinking a swamp thing from Pappadeaux’s. I’m so happy we found this place, and we will be frequenting it often. Makes me feel like I’m living back home in Cali. The guys at the Ramen place were very kind and informative and their advice on what to order turned out to be top notch. Great place...hope it blossoms into something even more for summer nights in the BR. Music and dancing and food. That would be the ultimate.

We went yesterday and the food was good, but took a really long time to come out for how empty the building was. We got a few bao from CYF, a sushi burrito from Yuma, and a street corn from Government Taco. All very tasty and fresh, but the wait time seemed excessive. We like coming here, and hope that the timing on things gets tightened up a little bit.

The menu features an array of options, including beignet fingers with sweet dipping sauces and all-day breakfast items like avocado toast and breakfast sandwiches. The casual atmosphere and creative seating area make for a pleasant dining experience. Visitors have praised the friendly staff who are knowledgeable about the menu offerings.
Dropped here as our last taste of baton rouge and they did not disappoint!! Paisley And Halsey realized we were from out of town and aimed to make our experience special with a special latte and souvenirs!! These ladies were next level with their customer service and set the example for southern hospitality The beignets were fresh and delicious!! Definitely would recommend this great business!

I ordered on DoorDash, just to be clear. I had the Latte with white mocha flavor added. It was perfectly sweetened and definitely hit the spot. The bacon, egg and cheese croissant had a generous serving of thick cut bacon on a fluffy croissant, with a couple dashes of Crystal hot sauce I added at home... pefect! The Praline beignets with pecans were nice, especially dunked in a hot latte. I think next time I'll stick with the traditional style beignets, though. For my first time having Beignet Baton Rouge, I was definitely satisfied! Really nice, filling brunch before work. Can’t wait to dine in and try the Lunar tea and lunch items.

9/10 my food is burnt when I arrive for pick up. I've had side orders of bacon totally black. The breakfast sandwich is always conveniently burnt on one side and it's the side face down in the box. Its a shame because it's so nice here. I wonder if I ate in if the quality would be better? Regardless that shouldn't have to be a thing.

The staff is nice, the menu has a variety of options and the beignets were tasty. The beignets are less dense than Coffee Call and this place is a more intimate setting than Coffee Call. I loved that there was even a couch area to relax at.

This is highly unacceptable. From the guy who took my order, to the person I spoke to when I called back. Clearly they been saling this a lot lately. This is dry is dirt. Who sales a beignet with no sugar? It's not a beignet. The price of eggs high until you serve me without eggs . I literally had to split my egg .

Cou-Yon's Cajun Bar-B-Q is a laid-back eatery offering a variety of BBQ and Creole-style dishes such as ribs, seafood, and stuffed baked potatoes. The restaurant prides itself on serving smoked meats with a blend of South Texas flavor and Cajun zest, providing an unmistakable taste. In addition to barbecue, they also offer freshly caught seafood and delicious salads.
Utterly fantastic! The loaded baked potato was likely pushing 5+ lbs! It was great. Additionally, we had the fish poorboy and crawfish etouffee with fried shrimp. Maybe the best crawfish etouffee I have ever had! Portions were massive, the workers were friendly, and the costs were fair! I'll be back!

We are in town for LSU. I asked the front desk clerk her restaurant recommendations, and Cou-yons was in her top 3. Upon arrival, the parking lot was slightly packed, but it's bc they have a drive-thru line and a call in order line. We chose to dine in. First, let me say the customer service is top tier. I explained that we were from out of town and the young man who was taking our order, kindly explained the menu to us. I got 6 smoked wings with potato salad and cajun rice dressing. My child got a half slab of baby backs with waffle fries and mac and cheese. They have three different flavors of bbq sauce. We both chose the smoky flavor. My food came out fairly quick and looked delicious. My child's took a little longer. I waited until his food came out before I eating. Finally, his food came. We said grace and commenced to chow down. The wings had a good flavor without the sauce. I was more impressed with the rice dressing. I don't eat a lot in one sitting, so I had food left over. I got a to go box for my food. My son's plate was empty, so it was no question if his ribs were good. I ordered food to go as well for later. I ordered a leg quarter plate with rice dressing and baked beans. I got another larger side of rice dressing and an order of bread pudding. Here's where things took turn. Later in the evening I wanted to finish my food. I still had 4 chicken wings left over and some potato salad. I warmed up the wings briefly in the microwave and sat down to eat. The first drummette was fine, however the second one was not cooked all the way through. It was red and raw in the middle and not edible. I was so disappointed and disguested at this point so much that I just threw the rest of my food away. Everything was good for me up until that. You can see the piece of chicken in the pictures I've attached. I spent total of like $75 on 3 meals, an extra side, a dessert and 2 drinks. I wanted to give 5 stars bc while we were in the restaurant, we enjoyed it. I only wished I had picked up that particular drummette and discovered it being raw while I was there, so it could have been corrected. You can’t be out here serving undercooked chicken.

We came here on a Sunday and it was packed. The staff is friendly and gave their suggestions on what we should order since it was our first time here. The fried shrimp loaded baked potatoes was delicious and very filling after eating this meal you are going to pack on a few pounds. My friend ordered the pulled pork with two sides. The Mac and cheese side tasted pretty good. Definitely coming back here to check out a few of the other menu items.

I've only tried the potatoes and I love them! Only thing that could make them better is using louisiana catfish. I know it's expensive but I've always said that about alot of restaurants. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cou-yon’s Cajun Bar-B-Q – Port Allen, LA Whew baby 😮‍💨 this place was an experience! The line was out the door (always a good sign 👏), and the smell alone had my mouth waterin’. I got me a LOADED baked potato piled high with crawfish, fried shrimp, cheese, and all the fixins’ 🦐🥔🧀 — it was Southern heaven in a spud! Now listen… the étouffée wasn’t quite hittin’ like I hoped, and the shrimp weren’t deveined 🙃 but that’s dirty South food for ya — muddy, messy, and full of flavor. My friend had the BBQ and said it was good, not life-changing, but still worth the stop. 🍖🔥 If you want some real down-home, finger-lickin’ Cajun grub, this is it. Come hungry, bring patience for that line, and don’t expect fancy — just pure Louisiana soul food done the Cou-yon way! 💛🇺🇸

The shrimp baked potato was great!! The kids fish was a perfect portion and perfectly seasoned, just a bit rubbery. The Cajun rice was HORRIBLE. It was mushy, and looked and tasted like it sat out all day and was scraped from the bottom of the pan. I won’t be ordering that again and will stick to the baked potato.

From the hostess stand to the waitress Amy, the service was impeccable. We had the two egg breakfast, the two pancakes alone, and the three Benedicts-triple threat. Everything was delicious. It was so much food we couldn’t quite finish, and we shared. We had one of each Bloody Mary’s. They put bacon in them which is always my favorite part! Breakfast restaurant
Louie's Cafe is a beloved LSU-area institution that has been serving up classic diner fare since 1941. Originally located near the North Gates of LSU, it later moved to a larger location due to high demand. Open 24/7, it caters to students, sports fans, and loyal customers with its breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings. The cafe has become an integral part of LSU tradition and is especially popular during game season.
Visited 05/27/25 We had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at Louie’s Café during our Memorial Day vacation, and it was like stepping back in time in the best way possible. There’s something so comforting about a true old-school diner, and Louie’s captures that charm perfectly, from the throwback tables and chairs to the classic ceramic coffee cups with saucers that instantly transported us to simpler times. We didn’t order anything fancy—just the basics—but everything was done exceptionally well. The hash browns, in particular, had a unique spin that absolutely delivered on flavor. It’s the kind of place where every detail feels thoughtful, from the friendly service to the hearty, satisfying food. One of the first things we noticed was a group of older gentlemen gathered over coffee and conversation, which is always a good sign you’ve found a local gem. While we’d love to say breakfast is impossible to mess up, experience has taught us otherwise. Thankfully, Louie’s is proof that there’s also a right way to do it—and they’ve got it down. A special shoutout to our server (whose name, regrettably, we didn’t catch). He mentioned he'd been working there for a couple of years, and his warmth and attentiveness put the "H" in Hospitality. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, Louie’s will be our first stop for breakfast—no question about it.
Wanderfish — Google review
I visited Louise’s based on the positive reviews on Google. While the restaurant itself has an old school atmosphere and wasn’t particularly busy during our visit, the wait time for food was unexpectedly long. Unfortunately, that lack of efficiency really overshadowed the experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place to others, simply because of how long everything took. It’s a pass for me—more of a place to avoid than suggest. The whole experience felt like a 3-star visit.
R&E R — Google review
Louie's Café has been a cherished tradition for me over the years, and it continues to impress with every visit. This time, I indulged in their brunch special—Eggs Breaux Bridge. This dish features a savory grits cake topped with andouille sausage, crawfish, and shrimp, all smothered in a rich shrimp and corn cream sauce. The combination was nothing short of delicious.([\[225\]][1]) My companions also savored their meals, with standout choices like the Eggs Louisianne—poached eggs on English muffins with shrimp, crawfish, and onions, finished with a spicy, buttery herb cream sauce. The flavors were bold and satisfying.([\[225\]][1]) The service was attentive and friendly, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. I also appreciated the newer location on Lake Street, which offers more seating and convenient parking, enhancing the overall experience. Whether you're a longtime patron or a first-time visitor, Louie's Café remains a must-visit spot in Baton Rouge. It consistently delivers quality food, great service, and a nostalgic atmosphere that keeps me coming back.

What a hidden gem! Louie’s Cafe completely restored my faith that there was good food to be found on my vacation. The service was excellent — Tom, my server, was amazing and really made me feel welcome. The food was perfect homemade fare, from the delicious cubed hash browns with sautéed onions, to the thick, crispy bacon, perfectly cooked over-easy eggs, and a fluffy short stack of pancakes. Even the coffee was the best I had during my whole week in Louisiana. Highly recommend this place — it’s exactly what a great local diner should be!

It's a great place with great food. I would definitely recommend. I had their pancakes (awesome) an Omelette (awesome) Shrimp and grits (freaking awesome) Patty melt with a huge amount of crispy cheese hanging on the side of it. (Rediculously awesome). The only negatives is the wait to be seated because they are busy, a little cramped for seating because they're busy. And the exit ot parking will scrap the bottom of your vehicle if it is low to the ground. I would still recommend easily.

The Ruby Slipper is a vibrant cafe that exudes a passion for brunch, offering a relaxed atmosphere and an array of delectable Southern fare. The menu boasts an impressive selection of signature omelets, French toast bites, pig candy bacon bites, fried green tomatoes, loaded tots, seasonal beignets, and various twists on Eggs Benedict. From the indulgent Bananas Foster French Toast to the savory biscuits and gravy and shrimp and grits, there's something to satisfy every palate.
We solo by for a quick rest of our road trip and to try the pancakes. My wife got the Cinnamon Swirl Pancakes. They were tasty and flavorful. They tasted like a freshly made Cinnamon roll. I had the Bananas Foster French Toast. They were delisious. The service was excellent, the food came out pretty fast. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. We found the pancakes and French Toast pretty pricey for it to be served without any eggs or sides.

This was my first visit, and it was amazing! Everything was delicious from start to finish and our server Hailey was great. If I was staying in town longer I would definitely return! Get the French toast bites, you won’t be disappointed!
Laurie C — Google review
We were among the lucky first customers on the Saturday morning we dined here, having waited in the parking lot for the doors to open. We were promptly seated, but from there, the promptness gave way to a surprisingly slow pace. Our server was friendly, kind, and always wore a smile, which we appreciated. However, the overall service was unusually slow—so much so that it left us genuinely puzzled. The restaurant appeared adequately staffed, and there wasn’t much of a crowd, so the delay didn’t seem to have an obvious cause. That said, everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and thoroughly enjoyable. The food absolutely delivered. Still, the lag in service was the slowest we've experienced in recent memory, and without any clear explanation, it stood out. As visitors from Kansas, we’ve heard that Southern hospitality can have a more relaxed pace, but this caught us off guard. We’d definitely return for the food—but next time, we’ll come prepared for a leisurely experience.

Fantastic Breakfast Spot! Great breakfast place in Baton Rouge! The Benedicts and shrimp and grits were absolutely delicious—flavorful and cooked to perfection. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

If you're on the hunt for authentic Cajun flavors, look no further than Bellue's Fine Cajun Cuisine. This charming family-owned eatery serves up homestyle dishes that are sure to delight your taste buds. Indulge in their signature offerings like gumbo, jambalaya, and a unique culinary marvel featuring deboned chicken stuffed into a deboned duck, which is then nestled inside a deboned turkey!
My boyfriend and I visited here first thing after our drive from San Diego and it was the best place we dined on the entirety of the trip. The employees were beyond kind and made us feel as if we were at home. Exemplary service and the food was fantastic (And very budget friendly). Out of all of the restaurants I have been to in Louisiana, I would rate Bellue’s the highest and will definitely be coming back. TDLR: Must visit.

Oh my gosh, what a wonderful experience. The staff was very welcoming like we were their own family. Every customer received the same greeting. The food was outstanding. We had the a fried boudin link, Crawfish Etouffé Supreme w/ fish and shrimp, and Turducken. The fish was perfectly cooked. The sides we had were white beans, red beans, yams, and the cornbread dressing came with both meals. The yams and white beans especially stood out. I recommend 100% that if you live in Baton Rouge or are visiting that you try this place.

An absolute Cajun gem right across the street from the ExxonMobil Chemical Plant in Baton Rouge. They have a large swath of the best of the best Cajun foods and desserts that will knock your socks off. I tried the Shrimp Creole, after getting a sample from the manager. It was their special of the day and I highly recommend it. I also had them add fried shrimp to it as well. The staff will do whatever they can to make you happy and they add a personal touch to the whole experience. They were very attentive to their customer needs. I highly recommend this restaurant! So glad I was able to eat here.

Food was just as I remembered it. Seasoned just right. Had the shrimp pasta with fried shrimp on top with the two sides..ill eat the Mac n cheese and the green beans with tasso and potatoes later😄. Best $14 I've spent in a minute.

Passing through Baton Rouge and looked up something for lunch and this little shop popped up with a 4.8 star review and my husband was like gotta try it out! OMGOODNESS so yummy... I played it safe with fried fish and shrimp broccoli rice casserole and Mac and cheese.... Casserole was the best fish and shrimp season and cooked perfectly, Mac and cheese really good seasoning. My son got the shrimp fettuccine and he devoured it! Definitely will be stopping by again in 3 months when we have to come back for work!

Hands down the best food i ate while in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. The crawfish etouffee was absolutely amazing served over cornbread dressing. And the white beans...best white beans I've ever had! This is definitely one of those places that when you pull up and see its an older building and not fancy at all, that you just know the food is going to be out of this world.

Great little place! Everything on the menu was tempting, so choosing was a challenge. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive (a big plus these days). The food was spectacular. We are disappointed we’ve missed out and hadn’t tried it sooner. We’ll be back and try some other menu items. ❤️

Was there today for lunch that was a reunion and birthday lunch for an 87 year old friend who traveled from out of state to be with family and friends. I’ve eaten here many times and the food and atmosphere were great as usual, but the server was kind and very attentive. When former Louisiana residents come home they always want to eat at the best places and I was was delighted to introduce her to BB Willow Grove! Over the years I’ve probably eaten nearly everything on the menu. This time I had the tomato basil soup and the seared tuna appetizer. Yum! I think that’s the best tomato basil soup in town!
Marsanne G — Google review
Went here today for lunch and it was a pleasant experience. Service was good, priced reasonably with good portions and overall good experience. Ordered the shrimp and grits, chicken avocado but and hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was good 👍🏽 my only complaint is that the grits weren't hot and we asked for no tomato on the blt, but it still came out with tomatoes on it. Other than that, everything was nice!

I ordered the Pot Roast Creole today to go because I was pressing for time. I was craving this for 3 days. Of course, the food was amazing and did not disappoint! This dish consists of tender pot roast, garlic mashed potatoes with Creole gravy, and fresh green beans. The meat bursts with juice and so much flavor. Every dish cooked to perfection. Might I add, they have the best carrot souffle in town. Hands down! I have to have a side, every time! I also would recommend their Debris Blue Cheese Chips! OMG!
Shannon W — Google review
Great lunch spot. Tried the blue cheese chips and fried French Dip. Both were excellent!

Consistently good food! Love this place and their salads are amazing. Tuna and/or blackened shrimp are regulars. Great place to chill out after work. Good vibe, clean, friendly staff, awesome bar, convenient location. Highly recommend!

You have to try the salmon. It was cooked to perfection. I ordered it with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli. Both of the sides were also cooked exceptionally well. The bleu Mac and cheese was too bleu cheesy so I didn’t like it, but that’s a personal preference. We also got drinks off the happy hour menu and they were delicious. The server was really attentive and when we went we were able to have the whole restaurant to ourselves because it was after the lunch rush. The salmon alone is worth the visit.
Ashley P — Google review
First time here, my husband and I enjoyed it. The salmon was so flavorful, right along with the veggies that came with it. My husband has the back of house chicken and he enjoyed it. Their drinks are on point and the chips and cheese are good. Everything was hot and came out quickly

The atmosphere here was very warm and cozy.. They offered for a sample before I made my choice. I ordered the mango sorbet. It was a nice and sweet frozen treat with a very satisfying texture to it. Very fruity. 😋🤤

The friendly staff were very helpful in my decision of what drink (hibiscus/lemonade) to have with my delicious Piazza Panini, which I easily indulged in the Roasted Pistachio Gelato afterwards. My fur baby was very delighted in the “Dog Gelato” they offer (I took a bitty taste, kinda light peanut buttery taste) Took home some divine loose tea also!!

It’s so refreshing to find an authentic Italian place in Baton Rouge! The atmosphere is cozy and the employees are kind, welcoming, and hard-working. The food was absolutely delicious! We got veggie pizza, lasagna, and the French onion soup. Their coffee was better than any place I’ve ever had. We can’t wait to come back to try their breakfast and gelato, they have so many flavors to try! Definitely come here to support a local business <3
Ghogert — Google review
Cute little cafe in a strip mall of other stores, the gelato was a little icy but the coffee was really good, I got the gingerbread latte. They also have pop up bakery’s that come periodically, I would be interested in that for sure ! There is food here as well.
Lauren ( — Google review
Small Italian Cafe. Gelato, coffees, sandwiches and Italian dishes. I enjoyed a Mango sorbet as others in the party chose the dairy gelato. Every dish was empty. The food dishes smelled wonderful as they brought them to other customers. I spied on a flatbread and it looked kickin. I will have to come with my family to try the flatbread. I wished they had cannolli but do have a cannolli flavored cannolli . One person in the party commented that the hot sandwiches are good.
Kevin L — Google review
I get La Divina often for lunch and all has been amazing. This visit was beyond. Disappointing. The pizza was served on sliced bread instead of pizza crust and was beyond soggy. We also got spaghetti and meatballs and the meat balls were so dry and crumbly and the sauce had nothing but a can taste. If I didn’t have them before and know the potential I would never return. Not to mention I bought a soda and it was expired in the beginning of February.

Perfect spot for a cute cozy date. The atmosphere is incredibly warm and welcoming. I had the drip coffee, which was delicious and served at the perfect temperature. The Cinnamon Walnut Coffee Cake was very airy and moist. Definitely will come back to try their breakfast options.

Zeeland Street is a beloved local institution in the heart of Mid City, Baton Rouge. This bustling hotspot offers classic breakfast fare and daily soul food plate lunches. Established in 1989 by Stephanie Phares, it's known for its scratch-made Southern dishes like pot roast, smoked brisket, and Southern vegetable plates. The Zeeland Slam is a popular breakfast choice featuring cheddar cheese grits, buttermilk pancakes, bacon, and eggs cooked to perfection.
The food was delicious. The service was good. The story of the 30+ year old restaurant was captivating! What I noticed about my order, an omelette with hash browns and toast, is that it wasn't greasy or overcooked. It was perfect in the amount, the flavor, and the preparation. Even though some of the LSU football team ordered meals before us, we still got our food in a timely manner. I'll eat here again next time I'm in BR.

Zeeland street market is excellent. A definite staple in the garden district. They do a ton of business at lunch and never disappoint. The Pecan smoke brisket is tender and juicy, the yams are sweet and delicious, and the cabbage tastes like grandma's kitchen. Can't say I've ever had anything I was disappointed with. Do yourself a favor and stop in.

Why have I not been to this place before??? This is a MUST stop for everyone even remotely close to the area. The food was absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! The cornbread dressing just may have been the BEST i have ever had…and I have had A LOT!!! The brisket melted in your mouth… It is a rare find…
Billy F — Google review
This was my first time at Zeeland Street restaurant. Saw the write up in the 225 magazine and had to check it out. For now they are only open for breakfast and lunch, their evening seatings under the name 'Beloved' are on hold. I stopped by for lunch and ordered the white beans over rice with a side order of potato salad and cornbread dressing. Everything was delicious. They also had on their daily specials a pot roast that I saw someone in nearby table enjoying thoroughly, plan on going back to try that sometime soon. The cornbread dressing had a little spicy bite to it, but still mild. The potato salad was definitely homemade tasting and creamy...yum. The white beans themselves were not heavily seasoned, but they had a wonderful flavor and were very creamy. The cornbread muffin was a nice little addition.
Brenda K — Google review
I liked the restaurant atmosphere with big windows and natural light, lots of space and bright colors. A good number of menu choices. My to go lunch selections were generous in size but all seemed watered down in taste and texture (and only 1 shrimp & 1 crab piece in my gumbo). I wish I had added some seasoning salt and hot sauce. I think the cornbread and red beans with sausage were the best among the items that I tried. The greens weren't good.
Coretta J — Google review
I recently had breakfast at a wonderful place in Zeeland that I can highly recommend to everyone. The classic American breakfast dishes were delicious and the staff really went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary needs as a Muslim. They made sure that there was no cross-contamination with non-halal items, which was very reassuring. The breakfast menu had a great variety of options, from pancakes and eggs to bacon and sausage. I tried the spinach omelette and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My family had the pancakes, and they were fluffy and filling. What impressed me the most was the level of care that the staff showed towards their customers. They took the time to explain the dietary options and made sure that we felt comfortable with our choices. Overall, I would highly recommend this breakfast place to anyone looking for delicious food and excellent service. The fact that they go out of their way to accommodate Muslim dietary needs is a testament to their dedication to customer satisfaction. Thank you for a wonderful breakfast experience!

Food was delicious and staff was nice. The grits were amazing. The ONLY issue was they were short-staffed so service was kinda slow and almost felt forgotten. Would still recommend them because everyone has a bad day.

The food was great! Just a simple homemade breakfast with a great variety of items on the menu. I got the BEST sandwich (bacon, egg, sprouts, tomato), cheddar grits, and hashbrowns. Hands down the best waffle house I've eaten at. The place was clean and organized, and the staff was awesome! After sitting down and ordering our food, one of the staff put music on the jukebox on the wall. It was so much fun eating while the staff was singing along. They had a great energy, which made our experience even better. The food was excellent! One of the better breakfasts I've ever had (including other restaurants and my own). Nice concept for the chain. Not very clean looking once inside. Watch out they automatically put cheese in grits! I didn’t approve that! Service was great. A good cleaning and a smell check place would be top notch.

This place has horrible service. Place was packed and the server said it would be a while. Sat at table for 30 minutes, bused the table for them, and she couldn't even take our drink order. Someone needs some training in their customer service skills. Got up and went across the street to the Melty and got immediate service. Definitely don't go to the this place if there is more than one car in the parking lot. What a freaking joke this place was, I thought California was bad but this place takes first place.

Everything bagel with lemon cream cheese was good. Breakfast burrito was decent , grits were kinda plain . I asked for cheese and hot Sauce to help.

This place used to have an awesome Ham/Turkey wrap for $9 bucks, that had a solid pound of meat in it. Made to order! But now the menu has changed. All of the cold sandwich are grab-and-go (who knows when they were made) and the hot sandwiches aren't worth the price. Paid $15 bucks for 2 slices of pastrami and a bag of chips. Completely dead inside during a lunch hour work day, which means the locals don't even eat there. Kinda sad... this place used to be great.
John S — Google review
Convenient for a stay at the Watermark, but overpriced (a Kind bar is $5) and not great. I was born and raised in NY, so I was excited to see Matzo Ball Soup on the menu, and a “family recipe”, as well. I don’t know what abomination this soup would be called, but it sure isn’t Matzo Ball Soup…

Milford's on third is filled with the two most lively and lovely ladies, Jacqueline & Inez. I pray they will enjoy many more years at this Hotel because they're so sweet to children and family. For breakfast, my girlfriend and I ate the "Turkey Scrambler." The biscuit was so soft, so flakey, it melted in your mouth. Great temperature and the quality didn't look rushed. The biscuit ended up falling apart because of how fresh it was, that didn't stop us from using our forks though. Thank you Inez! All good things come to an end eventually, I guess. I looked forward to my breakfast croissants from here until they restructured the menu & started charging separately for protein on the breakfast items. On top of that, the croissant sandwich looks much smaller now than it used to. And they burned my sandwich today. Looking for a new breakfast & coffee spot now 🙃

One of the best coffee experiences in BRLA. The coffee is always delicious and well made! Great selection of both hot and cold drinks, including teas. The sandwiches are delicious and filling. Excellent gluten free and vegetarian options. The seating is easy to access and usually there is an open table. You can eat outside too. The parking can be challenging because the lot is small. I always bring my put of town guests here for a remarkably cup of coffee

The soft and flavorful bread of their kolaches sets the stage for the delicious fillings, such as chorizo tacos that surpass even 'authentic' ones from SoCal. Their homemade hot sauce adds the perfect balance of flavor and heat to any dish.

Ok, wow. Hidden gem. I ordered on doordash only craving breakfast at work using the explorer dashpass. Saw the lunch tacos and thought it looked like a perfect on the go lunch. I got a kolache because of the reviews here, I got bacon instead of sausage that I ordered even though the bag said sausage. but I am amazed. It was early, and I didn’t try the tacos until dinner, and they tasted freshly made still. The steak tacos really are THAT good! I used to pass by this place everyday and thought it was a run of the mill kolache place. I was wrong! Everything is so good! Even the chocolate milk I childlishly enjoy. Definitely will be my new spot.

My go to place for a breakfast plate now. A lot of these other cafes in the area aren’t nearly as good. Eggs were perfect (everywhere else has been so disappointing) and the portion size was enough to feed me twice.

Met my son for lunch and he wanted to try a place he heard about. None of us had ever eaten there but the menu made it hard to pick just a meal. The pics looked just like the food we received. My club was great we also got scrambled eggs and a brisket po boy. Staff were very helpful. Will definitely return when we make it back to BR. Thanks again for the great meal Bucky.

PJ’s Coffee, a New Orleans-based coffee chain established in 1978, has expanded to 90 locations, including five in Baton Rouge. The menu features a variety of house-roasted coffees, organic teas, specialty espresso drinks, and seasonal offerings like bananas foster cold foam cold brew and pumpkin latte. Additionally, the location at Shaw Center for the Arts offers an array of dining options. Customers have praised the outstanding customer service provided by staff members like Ms.
I have to say that I was really impressed. I ordered my coffee and hot food. Ms Jessica I believe was ah mazing!! She not only helped me, but gave outstanding customer service. When I go back, I will definitely be looking for her. PJs you have a keeper in her. Of course with all associates, please treat her well. She is so deserving of this accolade!! Great job, great service, great product.

Good for a place instead a hospital. I've been there twice so far and will go there again. Their pre-made sandwiches aren't always great but can be good. Their oven is small and cannot fit a lot of pizzas/wraps at once but they work fast. Nice people.

PJs in Zachary is a great place to hang out. It’s comfortable with lots of separate seating areas. Their staff is friendly and their drinks are always great! Their beignets are also delish!!

Be aware that this is a location seemingly located inside a hospital. As someone from out of town I was quite disappointed to find that once I got there.
