First time going and lets just say they don't disappoint. The appetizers were all good enough to be entres! From the pictures you see the food taste exactly like you see it amazing!! Will definitely go back! Can't forget about the cocktails which were fantastic!!!

The food was amazing. The atmosphere was rich and the air was pungent with many different smells from the food but it didn’t bother me too much. The blueberry cheesecake was fluffy. The chocolate cake texture was rich yet light. It was a little loud in volume so maybe some textile on the walls would help that. It was a lot of fun.

Awesome Aarya for dining out. This is a great location. And great atmosphere. We were seated quickly. Had a great server. One thing I noticed. All the servers were hustling maybe it’s because I was near the kitchen I noticed. Seem like a good place for young people to work. Food was delicious. We got the shebang. And shared the meal. Green beans were cooked perfectly. All the fried food was so delicious. We didn’t even need to ask for tartar or cocktail sauce.

Parrain’s has been a must-stop restaurant for us every time we pass through Baton Rouge over the past five years; the food is consistently outstanding, and we were excited for lunch today. Unfortunately, this visit was the worst dining experience we’ve had anywhere in recent memory. Here are some of the frustrating details: • Arrived at 12:02 PM, quoted a 10-minute wait • Received “table ready” text at 12:11 PM and were seated by 12:13 PM • Placed our order immediately (Atchafalaya, Shrimp/Crawfish/Crab Pasta, and Pontchartrain) because we were in the middle of a long road trip. What followed was nearly an hour with no entrees, empty water glasses, and uncleared salad and soup plates/bowls. A nearby table of eight people was screaming, cursing loudly, telling highly inappropriate stories, and dominating the entire dining room with their behavior. They also had young children at their table. Multiple after-church families looked visibly uncomfortable, yet no staff or manager ever approached the group or acknowledged the disruption. When we finally asked about our food 50 minutes after we ordered it our server replied, “That’s on the kitchen, I haven’t been back there.” At that point we immediately asked to have everything boxed to-go. Our driver literally ate the Atchafalaya out of the to-go box in under two minutes while we waited for the itemized receipt. The rest was eaten in the car. The food itself, as always, was phenomenal. But the extreme delay, complete lack of communication or service recovery, and the unchecked disruptive behavior from another party ruined the experience. The management clearly needs to address training, kitchen efficiency, and how rowdy tables are handled, especially on a Sunday around families. We’ll still stop again if we aren’t in a hurry because the food is that good, but today was genuinely frustrating.

A friend insisted I check out Parrain’s during my visit to Baton Rouge, and spoiler alert—they were absolutely right. So right, in fact, that I went twice! This family-style, barn-inspired restaurant is a true Louisiana gem. Despite the place being packed with families and guests clearly there for a good meal, I was pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. From the moment I sat down, the service was attentive and friendly. I needed a moment to browse the menu, so I started with a bowl of seafood gumbo. It was rich, flavorful, and generously packed with a variety of seafood. The warm bread served alongside was the perfect touch. For my entrée, I chose the seafood pasta paired with a side of coleslaw. The portion size? Very generous! I had dinner plans later that evening, so I had to stop myself from finishing every bite—which meant I had to return the next day. Round two included a taste of their chargrilled oysters, boudin rolls, and the seafood platter, which came with a sweet and creamy sweet potato mash that stole the show. Again, the portions were large, especially for the price. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and family-friendly, and the Southern hospitality shines from the staff to the food. Coworker and I came in because the reviews looked decent and the pictures of food looked great. Boy are we glad we did stop in. We got in with no wait even though the parking lot seemed full and it looked busy inside. We started with the crab claw appetizer and then each got a fish dish. The appetizer was absolutely delicious and the sauce was the bomb. The fish was tender, well cooked and the light crust was perfect! Topped it off with some pecan pie and i can only hope that I have to travel through the area again so I can come back!

Love coming here. Food is great and always plenty. Service is always great as well. We stop through here almost every time we travel through Baton Rouge.

Ate dinner here late on a Friday evening. The restaurant wasn't too busy but there was a decent crowd. I got the soup and salad. The shrimp and corn soup was excellent. They have a pretty lengthy beer menu. You are sure to find something you like. Have been coming here for many years and we'll continue to do so.

Great food and selection Leans toward brewery food with a cajun twist fish gumbo was excellent so we're fried catfish and shrimp shrimp and grits... the star was the sauce and fried grit ball!! located steps from LSU campus This location would be packed crowded during school and football season! Interior nothing special except the cavernous seating!! help servers were top notch!!

Kevin was our waiter on the rooftop deck for dinner. We had a group of 7 from Boston who never ate Louisiana fare before, so Kevin brought us samples and we were able to place a few orders of appetizers and get meals to share and everyone loved it! He made this a great experience for us and we appreciate that. The food was just as good as the service.

The Chimes was one of the places that was recommended to me by locals. The service was great. Oscar made me the perfect long Island tea. He also recommended the shrimp po boy with spicy mayonnaise. It was delicious. I would definitely recommend The Chives to anyone visiting Baton Rouge. Love the atmosphere, too.

Great food and even better service! It was our first time at The Chimes, and our waiter Daniel was incredibly professional, friendly, and helpful. He took the time to explain the menu and gave us excellent recommendations! Everything we ordered was delicious. High-end dining, had a business dinner here with my colleague. Service was excellent and nice atmosphere, food quality was mixed. The grilled oysters were excellent but the shrimp in the seafood salad did not taste fresh and the gumbo was a bit too salty.

The food is as good as the hype. The cocktails are also great. Surprisingly, for a high end restaurant, the prices are actually really reasonable too. The restaurant is very clean and cozy. Our waiter, Pluto, albeit not a pro waiter by any means, but she was very nice and helpful. Very pleasant waiter and very pleased with our experience.

Wonderful meal and great service. We stopped in on a busy Friday without a reservation. They offered us a seat at the bar or a later reservation. We chose the bar and had an amazing meal which included Char Grilled oysters and tile fish. The food was incredible and Savanah, our bar tender did an outstanding job with recommendations and service. Food was reasonably priced. Great restaurant!

Mansurs was alright! Many people in town recommending this as a high end Louisiana food spot. It’s not necessarily a steak house, but they do have that as an option. It is more so a seafood spot. I tried a lot of food - but overall, the food was very greasy. The whole point of the place is to saturate things in butter and oil. Almost makes your stomach hurt while you’re eating it. The grilled oysters are tasty but each oyster is sitting in a pool of butter - tasty but briefly before your body shuts down. I chose to do the soup flight - this was the best part of the meal! I got the gumbo, collard greens gumbo (daily soup), and the creamy seafood. These were all delicious, the flavor was great. I really liked the collard green gumbo, light and flavorful - yet loaded with protein! I had the fish special for dinner and in full honesty, I could not eat this. It was so insanely greasy that it was hard to stomach. The risotto was also sitting in a pool of grease and butter. Not good. I know some people enjoy very sweet drinks or a buttery and flavorful meal - but this was 5x in the wrong direction. Never had food this greasy except at a bbq spot. I hope that the team takes the feedback and possibly has more dishes that aren’t as greasy. Over all - fine food, but know what you’re getting into. Staff is very kind. The atmosphere was weird cause it was a high end spot but there were TV’s to watch places all over the restaurant. It’s not that type of vibe.

Elegant atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and fresh, delicious, local food on the menu. Always a wonderful experience. Highly recommend the swordfish if it's on the special. Outstanding! Also a lovely piano player for enjoyment.

I haven’t been to this restaurant since 2022 but they seem to have gotten even better. 45 minute wait was well worth it. I got the Diablo shrimp melt with havarti cheese and sun dried tomatoes. Also got the crawfish mac & cheese special, which was definitely the star of the show this time. Also got the crustless crab pie which came with a side of red beans and rice and also a salad. I wasn’t even planning on getting any dessert but ended up with the Eye of the Tiger pie with blueberry whipped cream, which was amazing. All around highly recommend this place.

We dropped into Elsie’s Plate and Pie today and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Natchitoches meat pies with crispy brussel sprouts, and everything was absolutely delicious. For dessert, I had the Eye of the Tiger pie. It was rich, sweet, and the perfect finish to the meal. The food was amazing from start to finish, and the atmosphere was just as good. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Me, my aunt, and grannie LOVED Elsie’s! Servers and hostesses were very helpful and friendly and knew the menu well. Every. Single. Thing. we ate was so good. We ordered the crawfish queso and fried pickles to start. Both were a 10/10 and the queso came with homemade pork skins (which I dont usually like) and it was delicious. I ordered the crustless crabmeat pie with fried onions and a blackberry margarita (all 10/10). My aunt ordered the blackened catfish sandwich (8/10) with brussel sprouts. My grannie ordered the honey chop with the parm mashes potatoes and brussel sprouts with the seafood soup (10/10). We have zerooo complaints about any of our food & they plan on coming back when they visit BR again😂 Oh and the prices are great for the quality and amount of food you get! Blueberry hand pie.. DELICIOUS! Our server was a black girl with locs named Maya and we loved her so much <3!

Great place for lunch. We showed up right at opening and got a booth in the back. Order was taken an wait was pretty short. We got Carl's Tomato Pie w/ pimeno salad and a grilled 3 cheese sandwich w/ fries. Coconut cream pie for desert. Wow. Food was hot and delicious.

Even though we live close by I never tried Elsie’s before but I wish I did. Only hamburger my niece got was a bit mediocre but if you think about it they are not famous with that but with their amazing pies. It was her mistake not to get it. I got veggie melt and loved it. My husband got seafood pie and I tried too. It was really good. People were extremely friendly and cute. Highly recommend

Fantastic pies - the seafood pot pie was sensational with a delicious crust and plenty of filling. The mashed potato was very good too. It’s a large place inside and so it was easy to get a table even though they were quite busy.

Seafood pot pie was actually heaven. That Tiger Eye lemon icebox pie with blueberry whip cream literally stole the show! The handheld meat pies are a must try as well. I recommend the Natchitoches. Very chill vibe will totally be back.

Hostesses were uppity acting and very unpleasant with me. I stopped in to pick up gumbo and catfish. However, only catfish was thinly fried catfish, and I don't like it that way. Decided on seafood dressing stuffed bell peppers and gumbo. I've had better gumbo in "New York City". The roux was so dark and thick it was like eating a stew, and there was grit in it from the flour, I assume. The bell peppers barely had any taste to them and were under stuffed for the 34 dollar price tag that was attached to them. They did come with a side salad, bread, and one half of a twice baked baked potato, though. This place is always packed, but I have no idea why.

Underwhelmed… first word that comes to mind. First experience (couple years ago) was good. Tonight was lackluster and so so. I went early and dined in the bar area. The service was not great, they were brining in furniture rearranging chairs and the bartender was in the back a lot. My Sensation salad, included with the meal, was lack luster… fresh, but one cherry tomato, one olive, one peperoncino 🤔 I ordered the “Louisianne”- Black Drum fish / lump crab sautéed in lemon butter. The fish itself, a little crispy was good, but the crab was shredded and DRY. I asked for extra lemon butter and was told that it was real butter on the crab. I understand what lemon butter is, but the dish needed more… It definitely needed something. “Long run for a short slide!” … especially for the price.

I’ve heard many great things about this place so my husband and I were excited to try it. I was underwhelmed. It is very loud and didn’t feel very intimate despite the cozy decor. Our server was nice but didn’t check on us as often as I’d liked. Our food was good but not great considering the price we paid for it. I got the tournedos and my steak and shrimp were overcooked. My husband got the fresh fish in papillote which is their signature dish and he wasn’t impressed. You couldn’t even taste the fish because it was topped with so much stuff. I feel like they missed the point of even serving the fish. Overall, not a horrible experience but definitely not worth the price we paid. We’ve had much better food for way less money. I don’t think we’ll be returning.

We have traveled all through South Louisiana, and this is the best restaurant we’ve eaten yet. Everything came out perfectly. The service was excellent and the black drum with softshell Croft crawfish fried with a cream sauce and lump crab meat was just unbelievable. I must stop every time. I’m in Baton Rouge.

Louisiana Lagniappe has never disappointed. The marinated crab claws that we had as an appetizer were very good. The broccoli and cheddar with crab soup was another one of the tasty soups that Lagniappe’s offers from time to time. Of course, if you have not had their seafood stuffed peppers then you are missing out. There is no skimping on the seafood. Every fish dish is mouth watering. The service is on point and the ambiance is just right. I always look forward to dinner here. This restaurant is a must try if you haven’t already done so.

Found this restaurant based on TripAdvisor reviews and glad I did! Even without a reservation I was seated right away. The wait staff was attentive without being overly so, the food came out quickly. The portions were great, the food itself was fresh, tasty, and wonderful. I'll definitely be going back my next trip to Baton Rouge

Came on a recommendation of a friend. Atmosphere and service were top notch. Food was good but not elite. The wedge salad did not have enough blue cheese. The tuna appetizer was excellent. Highly recommended. The hallelujah soft shell crab, which seems like their signature dish was just so-so. Soft shell crab was very fresh but I think they only give you half a soft shell crab. The mashed potatoes doesn't go well with the crab. Perhaps if it came with a crab meat risotto, it would make the dish stand out more. The pecan bread pudding tasted a little stale, dry and it came out mouth burning. They microwaved it a little too long.

Went for the jazz brunch and got the shrimp toast, shrimp and grits and for a cocktail, an expresso martini. Wasn't crazy about the sauce on the shrimp in grits but I wasn't bad. Shrimp toast was great. The martini I never had before so I decided to try today, was pretty good! The atmosphere was awesome👌

We was looking for something a little different and my husband had a taste for fried soft shell crab. We went for lunch so it wasn't to busy, we we're greeted with a smile and very friendly welcome. Our waitress Elaine was so sweet and her recommendation was great. We started with salad a wedge and caesar and appetizers the Crawfish wonton so good. My husband had the Hallelujah crab and I had Redfish Adrian it was good but they could keep the mushrooms and add a little more sauce, I did have a tast of my husband's crab PEFECT. All in all everything was delicious and good definitely will try again for dinner. Again Eleaine did great.

My lobster and Brussel sprouts were very good. My husband said his fish needed seasoning. We ordered the crab beignets as an appetizer and our server forgot to place the order so they arrived agter our entree. She offered us a free dessert but not of our choosing. They gave us bread pudding that neither one of us eat, but they were very nice about it. We ordered the desserts we wanted, since that's what we had planned on doing anyway.

Good food. I had the shrimp aubergine. It was soo good. Their bread puding was not my favorite.

Joshua was an awesome server and went out of his way to make our company dinner a memorable and extremely enjoyable experience. He was super cool and attentive to our group’s various requests and delivered top tier personable service with distinction. One of the best in Baton Rouge. Great for just about any occasion - regular dining, business lunch and learns, very accommodating and good central location. Sprawling venue - nice buildout. Food and service is always wonderful. Oysters Rockefeller amazing. Steak and fish entrees hard to go wrong.

Really loved the food here – the vegetarian options were insanely good. Anne Louise was our server and she was super sweet. You’ve gotta try the jackfruit dish and the lasagna – delicious. The presentation was on point too!

My husband and I stopped in for dinner and ordered the ribeye steaks with leek purée, mushrooms, and asparagus—and let me tell you, we’re still talking about it! Perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. That leek purée deserves its own fan club. We got the yellowfin tuna & rice as an app and it was spicy and delicious! The service was just as incredible as the food. Jess was our server and she was phenomenal—warm, attentive, and super knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. She made the entire experience even better. We sat out front, which was such a cozy and relaxing spot. The vibe was peaceful and inviting, and since we were staying within walking distance, we got to enjoy a lovely stroll to and from the restaurant. The cocktails? Also a 10/10. Cocha is the whole package: food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. If you’re in Baton Rouge, this place is a must. Five stars all the way! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We went for brunch and it was wonderful. We sat outside because it was a nice day, they had live music inside that they were piping to the outdoor seating. Our waitress was very well informed and also patient as we tried to narrow down the menu. I was very happy with my decision but will be back soon to try more of their creations!

Gorgeous space, interesting menu choices, stellar service. We went for brunch on a Saturday around 11:30 and there was no wait, only maybe three other tables were sat. I got a Thai julep that was bright and refreshing, my partner got some sour beer on draft that he liked. I got the Japanese patatas bravas, everything about the dish was incredible but the brisket was waaaay overcooked. It was dry like jerky, which was disappointing. The potatoes and egg and kewpie mayo more than made up for that, though. My partner got the pork belly sliders and THOSE were absolute perfection. Phenomenal bite. We would definitely go back for dinner or a weekday lunch.

One of the best restaurants in Baton Rouge hands down. Not only is their food and atmosphere great, their employees are fantastic like the owners. I had my rehearsal dinner there in the back room and all my family loved it. The food was amazing along with the friendly and laid back atmosphere. They made it so easy to reserve for my party size and the service was amazing!

Stopped in for dinner....didn't know it was wine tasting event night but they found us a table in the back. Dinner was excellent but it was a bit pricey (to be fair, I ordered a rib-eye steak - an off-menu offering). Cocktails are also a bit spendy but, to be fair, were very well done. Shout out to Bert for putting up with us out-of-towners!

The restaurant is really cool and has great food, but I have given service 4 stars since it took about 2 hours to get our main entree last Friday! The oven went out and place was slammed. Also, we ordered steaks as a special. They were great; however, my 5oz filet was $40 and my husband’s 15 oz ribeye was an eye popping $75! I think the waiter should have warned us as it wasn’t written on the menu. Just sayin’.

We sat outdoors for our business lunch under perfect weather. Food and service were excellent! My coworker had to change our reservation multiple times due to some unexpected changes and the hostess was very understanding and accommodating. One of my favorite places in Baton Rouge and a must return. I had the fried seafood dish, by far the best fried seafood batch I have had anywhere in a long time! Fried oysters was done perfectly. We made a reservation and got seated as soon as we checked in. Service was good but food took a while to come out. It was a little disappointing that there was no bread or anything to snack on before receiving our appetizers. The place is small and feels cramped, with maybe 8 tables in total and medium-low lights. We first ordered a small cup of the soup of the day to share in case we didn’t like it. The soup was lackluster, we added salt but it was still missing something. However, our entrees were great. I had chicken paillard and my boyfriend had the pork chop. My dish had the perfect balance of flavors and was exquisite. I’ve never had the dish before and it tasted light, fresh, unique and healthy, but still very filling. My boyfriend’s pork chop was thick, juicy, and full of flavor. It was served with grits and some vegetables on the side. Overall, the entrees are a winner and we’d visit again just for that.

alright, let's start with the vibe of this place! great mood lighting, beautiful art, and a great ambiance. we had the shrimp and watermelon salad, gumbo ya ya, chicken paillard, eliza crab cakes, and crème brûlée. Personally i didn't love the flavor of the gumbo broth, but i haven't had gumbo many times prior. The salad was beautiful but had too much arugula and not enough dressing, walnuts, watermelon, and feta. the eliza crab cakes were phenomenal. the crème brûlée was stunning but sadly not thick enough. service was great and our waitress was wonderful! i really enjoyed the basil cucumber mule mocktail, it was refreshing and light.

What a diamond in the rough. Charming, quaint, adorable outdoors patio area, and a crisp, clean, chic interior. I was genuinely surprised by the elevated Louisiana Cuisine presented here. I was impressed with their commitment to support local Louisiana businesses and even shout then out on the menu as their local sources. The waitress was polite and exceedingly knowledgeable about the menu. She also told us about a Mardi Gras themed cocktail available. Though I don't drink, it sounded like something that would be enjoyable to others. She also told us about the soup and dish of the day, both of which sounded phenomenal, but I had already made up my mind. The catfish was actually catfish (which, as you may know some businesses use tilapia or other cheap fish instead). It had one of the best shells I have tried. I had mine with lemon wedges and some stone ground horse radish infused mustard which somehow improved on what I already believed to be perfection. The gumbo only gets 4 stars from me. It was flavorful, and the popcorn rice was a nice addition, but I felt the ratio of rice to gumbo was a bit much and that I didn't really get much chicken or sausage.

Was there for my friends 72nd Birthday. Arrived early for our reservation and was still seated promptly food was excellent and service was always on time! Great memories! Thanks guys for making her birthday so special!!!!

We had a wonderful time enjoying this year's Annual Julia Child's Birthday Celebration. The selections for the three courses were spot on and perfectly delicious and our server was friendly and attentive. Very thankful for participating in this tradition of honoring a great chef.

We live in Fort Worth, Texas. This restaurant was recommended by a friend who used to live in the area. It didn't disappoint. We loved the food so much we ate here two different times within a week. The service was great. Our servers kept the drinks filled and checked on us several times. The food is delicious and plenty of food for the price. Prices range from $8.99‐25. When back in town, we will definitely be back!

Stopped into Sammy's Grill for lunch and had the Thin fried catfish and white beans ( Substituted the white bean with a side of red beans and rice). It was enough for two people. Delicious food and great service. Another go to spot in Baton Rouge.

We looked up this place to get some crawfish... it did not disappoint! Also the egg rolls were amazing. We had a large group so we were charged 20% gratuity... understand why this happens, but we definitely did not get the service to equal that. Will be back for the food and will be hopeful the service is better.

Onion rings and mozzarella sticks were delicious! Main dishes were subpar unfortunately. Waitstaff were friendly but service was pretty slow.

The service was very quick on a Thursday night, and the food came quickly and was delicious. I got the grilled bayou catfish and it was phenomenal. My boyfriend got the fried catfish and it was good, but a little salty for his taste. The portion sizes were large, which we appreciated. We spent about $70 including the tip, our meals, and a blueberry lemon drop martini (which was also delicious).

We had such an amazing experience at Tsunami! Harin was our waitress and she was so inviting and attentive. She brought out this beautiful dessert to celebrate our evening. She was very sincere and genuine. The sushi was so fresh and delicious. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you for the wonderful evening. ❤️

We came here just by chance as our hotel was nearby. Well, the food and service was so good that we ended up coming back. And then back again for a third time! Seriously, the sushi is delicious, all the staff are so friendly and helpful, and the cocktails were second to none - we would recommend the haiku! If you’re in Baton Rouge, make sure you swing by here! The views over the river are stunning too.

My daughter is a new sushi lover so I took her on a Tuesday around 3pm. We were seated at a small table for 2 with a beautiful river view. We started with the Shishito and Shrimp. This was pretty good but I needed a better dipping sauce. It was happy hour so certain rolls were discounted. I was disappointed to learn that they didn’t have or were out of the fried rice. We decided to go with the Big Easy rolls and the Shrimp Tempura rolls. They took a little while to come but we enjoyed the view while waiting. My daughter was disappointed that the Big Easy were only 4 rolls. Nevertheless, they were good. I also enjoyed the Shrimp Tempura rolls. Our server was friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and will probably return in the night time for the wonderful views. There is also rooftop outdoor seating. I’d definitely come back for that in cooler weather.

Restaurant is on the top floor of the Shaw Center for Arts. Beautiful views of the Mississippi River and environs and great place to see the sunset. It also means, however, that 1) the restaurant is hard to find if you don't know it's there (didn't see any signs on the ground floor and had to ask the security guard), 2) too much sun and heat to sit outside by the railing to enjoy the view, at least when we were there in July. Staff was accommodating and attentive. We didn't have a reservation and one of their servers agreed to take care of us for dinner at the bar. We were kind of in a back corner but they sat us. Recommend reservations if you want to go there. Food was OK. Interesting combos and flavors. Good portion size. Vegan options. They were out of a couple items we wanted to order.

My boyfriend and I went Tsunami for our anniversary. Our server, Ethan was fantastic! He check on us throughout our dining experience. When there was a delay for the apple martini, he was very polite and apologize. I appreciate his excellent service. We came during Happy Hour, but it took a while to get our sushi. We were patient though. In the photos are Raging Cajun, Dynamite Roll, Lava Roll, Shrimp tempura, Sweet Heat Philly, Big tuna, and Gyoza Umami. For dessert was the Ube cheesecake and the ice cream mochi. My favorite sushi is probably the Lava Roll. I love the flavors- crunchy shrimp, the salmon, the sauces. Very good! The Ube Cheesecake is an interesting dessert. I can taste the sweet potato, but I felt that it was missing something. There's no graham cracker crust. I think it would've elevated the dessert more with a crust. The ice cream mochi taste amazing! I would love to eat more of it. Overall, Tsunami has been a pleasant food experience.

The rooftop terrace at this place is beautiful, great views of the river, bridge and nice buildings in the area. Food was delicious and they had a good variety of both traditional and creative drinks.

A smashing A+, and always is, from the service to the sushi to the sake. Everything about our dinner was magical. First of all it was a first date, second of all it had just rained and stopped. I go usually right before sunset to enjoy the rooftop delight while waiting for my order, and take pictures. The service was excellent, could not complain at all. We ordered two rolls at a time and went from traditional rolls to specialty rolls had appetizers and everything about the reservation we had was amazing. We got there earlier than our reservation and they accommodated. Amazing, just amazing.

This was a great place to eat. You place your order. You get your drinks, then you find a table. They bring the food out to you. It is a nice comfortable atmosphere. The food was amazing. My friend had red beans and rice that came with sausage and bread. She loved it. I head the shrimp etouffee over fried catfish. I had a side salad and bread. The bread was the bomb. It was brushed with butter, and it looks like it was placed on the grill. It had that crunch but was also soft. Soo good! The staff was great and extremely friendly!

Highly Recommend this restaurant. Take a step back in time when you walk in. Order at the counter and they bring it to you. Pay as you leave. We had adults and kids in our group. There is something for everyone. Chicken tenders with fries for the kids. Large variety of sandwiches were offered and ordered for the adults. Fresh sweet tea daily. I had an Arnold Palmer with fresh sweet tea and lemonade. The Fresh seafood Gumbo was amazing. They offered homemade red velvet cake. Everything was good!

My mom and I went to Lloyd’s Poor Boys for the first and last time. When we walked in, we were asked what we wanted before even getting a chance to look at the menu. We asked for a moment, and the man gave us a yellow menu. My mom ordered a Coke for me and a sweet tea for herself. He asked if we were dining in or taking out—we said dine-in. He said breakfast had just ended, and they’d call us when lunch started. We sat and were told to pay after eating. He eventually took our order. I got fried pickles. My mom asked about the seafood platter—he said oysters were no longer included. She asked about the oyster poboy, and he explained it was market price. When she asked if it could be cut in half, he asked where she was from because “they do that around there.” She said she didn’t know, just asking. Food didn’t take long. I ate half my pickles, she ate half her poboy. I saw keychains, asked for two. Then I grabbed 7 candy bars, 8 gold coin candies, and 8 Sugar Daddy candies. At the register, I wasn’t told the total. I handed over a card with $81. He said I still owed $10 more. My mom paid the rest. I sat down and said, “There’s no way this was $91.” We did the math—he overcharged. I politely asked for a receipt. He said I should’ve asked earlier—even though I had JUST checked out. I told him I’m Black, not stupid, and I can count. He told me I was making it about race. I asked a nearby lady if I was wrong—she said no. I asked for a refund for everything but the food if I couldn’t get a receipt. He gave me one, but it wasn’t mine—it was time-stamped an hour earlier and had 3 plates we didn’t order. He admitted entering candy as a “lunch plate” because I got 7 bars ($14). He said if I make him count, he’ll charge me more. I told him that receipt wasn’t mine and pointed out the incorrect time and items. He agreed to re-ring everything: • 2 fountain drinks @ $1.99 (but he originally charged $3.38 each) • 7 candy bars @ $2 = $14 • 8 candies @ $0.25 = $2 • 8 candies @ $0.50 = $4 • 2 keychains @ $7.99 = $15.98 • Fried pickles @ $7 (but he charged $9) • Oyster poboy @ $17.38 (market price) Total before tax: $67.12. He said tax was 10%, so added $7—bringing it to $74.12. But I was charged $91, meaning he still overcharged me. I told him he owed me $16.88. He threw $5 on the counter. I said no, that’s not right. He eventually gave me $11 more. Even then, it was wrong—because he’d already included tax in half the items, and the 10% he used was still off. What it should’ve been: • Drinks, candy, keychains, pickles: $46.96 • 10% tax = $4.69 • Subtotal = $51.65 • Add oyster poboy @ $17.38 • Total max = $69.03 We were charged $91—with attitude, zero transparency, and resistance to even providing a receipt. The man was rude, dismissive, and confrontational. I can’t support a place that treats people this way. And the food? Not even that good. If you go here, do the math before handing over your card. You might get hustled if you don’t. He still owes me at LEAST $5.97 I will say that the young man who works there was nice & helpful, when asking him to hand me the keychains. But the other guy, HORRIBLE business owner!!

Consistently good food. Super friendly staff and convenient to the downtown area. My favorites include their Red Beans with Pork Steak, Shrip Etoufee pictured below, and Lemon Ice Box Pie. Only issue is, they're a little expensive, in my opinion.

A Delicious Surprise for My Birthday I was taken to Zea Rotisserie & Bar for my birthday, not knowing what kind of restaurant it was and I was blown away! The food was absolutely amazing. Full of flavor, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. Every bite felt like a celebration. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. From the moment we walked in, I felt taken care of, and the service stayed warm and attentive the whole time. I do wish I had dressed up a little more. It’s definitely a place that deserves more than casual attire 😅. But even so, I felt comfortable and really enjoyed the atmosphere. It’s the kind of spot that feels upscale without being stuffy. Highly recommend for a special occasion or a treat yourself kind of night. I’ll definitely be back!

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. We celebrated my wife's birthday and really enjoyed this place. Our waitress Leila was awesome. She was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and gave great recommendations for all 3 courses that did not disappoint. She was very pleasant and her energy was paramount. We tried the duck empanadas that were really flavorful and the Thai ribs are a must try. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely go back!!!

I Ate here for lunch and I ordered the mango chili rotisserie chicken with corn grits and collard greens. The food tasted okay not heavily seasoned. Restaurant is clean and spacious. My waitress was kind and attentive. I only spent $20 for lunch that’s including tip, which is a great price for a nice healthy meal.

From the hostess stand to the waitress Amy, the service was impeccable. We had the two egg breakfast, the two pancakes alone, and the three Benedicts-triple threat. Everything was delicious. It was so much food we couldn’t quite finish, and we shared. We had one of each Bloody Mary’s. They put bacon in them which is always my favorite part! Bathrooms were clean and the parking at 9 am on Saturday was easy. When we left at 10 the parking lot was full and there was a wait inside. Good place to stop in and eat. Highly recommend!

Driving through, from Florida to Dallas, and this was the place we picked for dinner. And we were glad we chose Mason’s Grill. Great menu, and great food. And how often does a chef come out to talk to the customers? They were out of the Gouda cheese. Switched to the Monterey Jack. Appetizer was the onion fried boudin. Delicious! Great taco Tuesday deal. Kind of small but a great price. The burger of the month. Fantastic. Loved the onion rings. And we saved a little room for the white chocolate bread pudding. Wow! Good service. Loved the atmosphere.

Hadn't been to Mason's in years. But back in town for a mini reunion. Food is still good, our server was pleasant and the atmosphere was regular Sunday morning. It gets packed quickly so use the online waitlist if you don't plan to get there within an hour of opening.

Fried mushrooms were great, fried pork chop was good. I was disappointed in there macaroni and cheese see included photo. Very disappointed with my chicken tenders they were over cooked.

I ordered the Not Your Ordinary Shrimp & Grits with broccoli and a breadstick for takeout and it was all so good! I could taste the cajun seasoning throughout the shrimp and grits! I enjoyed the broccoli and breadstick too! I highly recommend getting some good dinner from here!

Great restaurant in the heart of Baton Rouge. To start with the positives, I must say that the food here was absolutely delicious. Amazing! Definitely a great place to get a meal here in Baton Rouge. The areas of improvement…. The food portions are quite tiny for what you pay for. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. It is $36. $12 more than the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken option. To my dismay, I was very disappointed that it only came with 4 shrimp. (The shrimp was delicious by the way). But it was just 4 little blackened shrimp. Very disappointing. I also ordered the seafood stuffed mushrooms. Absolutely delicious but once again, for $15, I would have expected more than 3 of them. Lastly, the waitstaff was decent. Not great, not horrible. When I expressed my concern with the meager food portions, his response was fairly nonchalant. I would have liked to him to try harder than to shrug it off to inflation.

I’m from Houston and family moved to downtown BR. We had a party of 8, which is not overly large. I’ll start with service, which was extremely below standard. We were sat for a long time before a waitress came to get our drink order. It’s was clear that from that point on there would not be any urgency in her service. Our waitress opening delivery line was in a very mono tone voice “ Do you want to hear the specials” not what I would have expected. Usually restaurants try to sell their specials for the night, hence the word SPECIAL Food unfortunately fell below expectations . I ordered Veal Parmigiana and Chicken Parmigiana and you can see the plate difference. When asked why the different plate and portion , our waitress replied do the kitchen can tell the difference between chicken and veal. Photos are attached. Unfortunately I would not recommend this restaurant unless you are staying downtown BR. Service needs to be improved and food quality definitely needs improvement.

Interesting experience, I used to work at the other location and ate "Veal Marsala" plenty of times. I have never seen one look like this purple sludge I had the other day. It didn't taste bad, it was just reduced with too much extra wine, my experience is that marsala reduced is usually somewhat brown or caramel colored, this has the color of some other type of wine. Aside from that, the fish was excellent, the bread was divine, salads were fresh, and the wine was fine. It seems like when I have beef-related dishes here, I run into strange occurrences.

I had fabulous expectations for this spot. I absolutely LOVE Italian. Made a reservation. Got there early. Anthony the host told us if we didn't take a 2 top or sit at the bar, we could leave. The entire restaurant was booked. The very same 8 tables that were open at 815 were still empty at 925. Unbelievable how rude this guy was. And for what? Moving forward to the food... the bread and roasted garlic was the true highlight. My husband ordered chicken picatta. Generous portion of chicken BUT the sauce was Alfredo like. Thick. Heavy. Not at all traditional picatta sauce. I had the veal milanese. One of my fave dishes. Again... the sauce was Alfredo like. Disgusting. The bartenders that waited on us were the highlight like the bread. I absolutely recommend anyone pondering this place stay away!!! We dine out often. Are easy to please. This was just sub par.

This was my first time eating here. My son and friend came from TN to visit. We had dinner there for about 2 hours. They ordered 7 appetizers for 5 people, unbelievable! Which they ALL were good. Drinks were beautifully made. The entrée were good. I had Lasagna. I wasn't overly pleased with the taste. First time trying FRIED DEVIL EGGS. Ok. I had it berr at another place. Brought my BFF for her birthday dinner here by recommendation of another friend. Was extremely disappointed with this dining experience. We started with the highly recommended Bread in half size which was pretty good. Ordered Beef Arancini as appetizer and it ended up being a Large Meatball with tomato sauce. (No Arborio rice & diced seasonings just a few capers spotted in the ground meat) Ordered the Fish Almondine @ $28 only to be informed it would be tilapia (Cheapest fish you can buy) and if I wanted premium fish it would be an additional cost so, I agreed to the premium selection available. It Arrived and fish tasted of being fried in oil that was overused and the fish was dark brown finish to support what it tasted like. Served on a bed of bland steamed broccoli which appears to have been a frozen product. Oddly the plate had what seemed to be just oil puddled in it instead of a traditional browned butter, lemon, and parsley sauce. The BFF suddenly received a Birthday chocolate mousse but other guest had never been offered a dessert menu so had nothing until asking. Once other desert came birthday person had finished. Basically the only food item that was good was the bread. As for the Fish the ADDITIONAL amount was $10 more!!!! Tipped waitress 20% as she had nothing to do with the food quality even though she did poorly with the dessert option. Respectfully will NOT be returning to this establishment nor recommending it to anyone. - Truly sad as this restaurant has been around for some years and could be as good as it once was with just a little effort.

SO. VERY. GOOD!! This is just a good old-school, delicious Italian restaurant. Reminded me of what you would get in New York or Chicago, just great attentive service and wonderful food! I will definitely return on my next visit to Baton Rouge!

I visited Louise’s based on the positive reviews on Google. While the restaurant itself has an old school atmosphere and wasn’t particularly busy during our visit, the wait time for food was unexpectedly long. Unfortunately, that lack of efficiency really overshadowed the experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place to others, simply because of how long everything took. It’s a pass for me—more of a place to avoid than suggest. The whole experience felt like a 3-star visit.

This is basically a Baton Rouge version of Waffle House on LSU’s campus. We visited on game day, so there was about a 30 minute wait. I ordered the combo #1. This combo included two eggs, a sausage patty, hash-browns, and I ordered French toast for a up-charge. This restaurant has a simple concept, but everything was very good.

Louie's Café has been a cherished tradition for me over the years, and it continues to impress with every visit. This time, I indulged in their brunch special—Eggs Breaux Bridge. I also appreciated the newer location on Lake Street, which offers more seating and convenient parking, enhancing the overall experience. Whether you're a longtime patron or a first-time visitor, Louie's Café remains a must-visit spot in Baton Rouge. It consistently delivers quality food, great service, and a nostalgic atmosphere that keeps me coming back.

What a hidden gem! Louie’s Cafe completely restored my faith that there was good food to be found on my vacation. The service was excellent — Tom, my server, was amazing and really made me feel welcome. The food was perfect homemade fare, from the delicious cubed hash browns with sautéed onions, to the thick, crispy bacon, perfectly cooked over-easy eggs, and a fluffy short stack of pancakes. Even the coffee was the best I had during my whole week in Louisiana. Highly recommend this place — it’s exactly what a great local diner should be!

It's a great place with great food. I would definitely recommend. I had their pancakes (awesome) an Omelette (awesome) Shrimp and grits (freaking awesome) Patty melt with a huge amount of crispy cheese hanging on the side of it. (Rediculously awesome). The only negatives is the wait to be seated because they are busy, a little cramped for seating because they're busy. And the exit ot parking will scrap the bottom of your vehicle if it is low to the ground. I would still recommend easily.

This place was amazing. They were packed but got you on fairly quickly. The service was very friendly. The food was great. The prices were fair. The atmosphere was pleasant. Would recommend for a quick bite.

I have been eating at Louie's since the early 2000s. Now that im older and moved back it's one of my favorite spots. Biscuits are always fluffy and so good, hash browns with seasoning and onions and peppers are probably my favorite thing their!!! Add a side of Bacon and it's definitely a win. Service is always great and food comes out really quick. 😋

Best BBQ in Louisiana! The crawfish queso was so good, and they serve it with homemade pork skins to scoop it up with, as well as home made crispy fried chips. This place was amazing! Highly recommend if you're driving anywhere near Baton Rouge you stop and give this place a try.

I finally got a chance to eat here and i enjoyed it. The waiter and staff were kind and courteous. The food was seasoned just right, we ordered the blue cheese bib & steak and the brisket burger. Although I enjoyed my salad, I have been craving that brisket burger it was so good I almost tip the cook. The atmosphere was amazing, relaxing, clean environment, they greet you when you enter, say bye when you leave, everyone was smiling and no long faces. I was on a date so this was the right place for it, it can also be a spot to just have time to yourself or me time as I call it. Would I recommend this restaurant YES INDEED.

It was the evening that we were leaving our son at college and we were breaking down crying. Our waitress was amazing. She brought out their best dessert right on time to try and make everyone feel better. This is our second time there and not only is the food and dessert delicious, the service is impeccable.

Had an excellent experience here. Started with the Pork Debris Spring Rolls. So good. Then ordered the City Pork BBQ Platter for the entree. SO much food. Delicious. Didn't eat it all. Leftovers for several days. Would order again. We will definitely come back and try some of the sandwiches next time. Great service and atmosphere here. The music was also good. The Grateful Dead was playing when I walked in.

Had lunch here with family. Food was great! I had the wild boar chile rellano. The staff was so excited about their perfectly cooked egg on top. It was fun. Had the bacon old fashioned - which to be honest - is pretty gimmicky - and I don't care because I got a piece of bacon. The drink was fine otherwise. We had some house chips on the table with some sort of dip that was great too (sorry dont remember the details). Would love to come back another time.

We visited on a Saturday and were surprised at how quiet it was, which worked in our favor since we reserved a private dining area for a retirement party. The setup was perfect, and the staff and our server were incredibly attentive, helpful, and thoughtful throughout the evening. For drinks, we ordered a variety which included espresso martini, lemon drop martini, champagne margarita (table favorite) and blackberry bourbon lemonade. I don’t think you can go wrong on any of the drinks offered. For appetizers, we tried the raw oysters, blue crab claws, tuna tataki, and brussels sprouts. The standouts were definitely the tuna and brussels sprouts—both were outstanding! Even my daughter, who usually avoids raw fish, went back for seconds on the tuna. For entrees, we ordered the brown butter drum, crawfish Mac & cheese, and the tenderloin. The drum was okay—nothing particularly memorable. The crawfish Mac & cheese was amazing-creamy and cheesey! The portion is very generous and can be shared. Unfortunately, my fiancé had to send his tenderloin back as it was overcooked, which was a bit disappointing. While the service and starters were excellent, I found the entrees a bit underwhelming for the price. That said, I would consider coming back just for the tuna, crawfish Mac & cheese, and brussels sprouts, and perhaps to try a different main course.

Business dinner with a colleague seated outside during excellent weather, great atmosphere. Service was ok, not bad but nothing exceptional for a higher end restaurant as the waiter seemed a bit young and inexperienced. I deducted two stars for the food because it was not exceptional, the fried oysters were overly salty and there were bits of oyster shells fried into the cornbread that made me almost chipped my tooth. If it was just one random piece I would not have minded but there were multiple pieces of shell. The beet and arugula salad was good, topped with grilled shrimp. The tiramisu was presented well but the taste left much to be desired as it tasted more like cheesecake.

We had a terrible experience here for dinner! First of all, there were several fruit flies all around the bar and dining area, no matter what section you were in. We ordered the seafood tower and chargrilled oysters and were very disappointed. The seafood tower was extremely underwhelming and not worth the $165 price. The chargrilled oysters were severely overcooked and dry as a bone. You can see in the photo only one oyster had any juice and the rest were DRY and tiny. We came because it was highly recommended but left hungry and disappointed. Only redeeming quality was that our waiter and bartender was great.

I took my wife here for dinner last week. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts were hard and sort of dry. My wife had the Hickory Salmon, she actually like the salmon, but the side was bland. I ordered the Crawfish Mac & Cheese (NEVER AGAIN). I was giving Velveeta shells and cheese w/o any flavor! The cheese was watery and the taste was BLAND! I also ordered the Provencal Chicken, it was just blah....The service was exceptional, but they don't cook!

I came to here on a Sunday after church for brunch. I can honestly say I’ve never had food so bad in my life. I ordered gumbo, it came out cold and the rice was so gummy they literally just put a gummy ball in the bowl. I also ordered a Cesar salad and it had wilted pink lettuce in it. The waitress brought the manager to the table and I told him to just look at the food. I don’t even understand how they even thought the food was presentable. The service was okay…? The team seemed extremely confused and out of it. They were not rude but could use more coaching on professionalism. Overall, I think this restaurant is focusing more on appearance and ambience rather than food.

Love Zorba’s… in the top 5 of our favorite restaurants in Baton Rouge. Nice dining room, bar area and courtyard… makes for a very casual and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly, accommodating and helpful. Starting with their fabulous bread service and wonderful entrees… everything is on point. In fact, it is so good, we forgot to take pictures of our food until we were halfway through. Do yourself a favor… go 😉👍

Would we go back? Absolutely. A little too much oil on some plates, but all in all, very good. Willow at the bar is a sweetheart.

We had an absolutely wonderful meal at Zorba’s Greek Restaurant in Baton Rouge, and our waitress Autumn made it even better! She was warm, friendly, and so attentive from start to finish. Autumn went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect — from recommending delicious dishes to keeping our drinks full and checking on us with genuine care. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and the service was truly top-notch. Autumn’s positive energy and professionalism made the whole experience special. If you go to Zorba’s (and you definitely should!), ask for Autumn — she’s amazing and will make your visit unforgettable!

Zorba's continues to impress me! They consistently have excellent service and food. My favorite dishes are the Gyro plate, Mixed Grill and Big-Z Smash Burger. The lamb, chicken and steak are all very juicy and tender. They have the best Grecian sauce!! The Feta fries that come with the burger are incredible!

My husband and I love coming here for date night! I actually found my favorite wine here and I’m extremely picky. They even let me do a taste test first, which I really appreciated. The service was so sweet and welcoming, and the food was absolutely AMAZING. Can’t wait to come back! 🍷✨

Came here for a celebration with my boyfriend. I appreciate that they asked before seating us, as everyone we encountered congratulated us. Our server Roxanne was wonderful. Knowledgeable about the menu, patient since this was our first time in, and accommodating. I HIGHLY recommend the fried calamari. I am a tough calamari critic and frequently order it wherever I go. This was THE best calamari I’ve ever had; fried crispy, with the squid still being tender. The sauce is like a sweet chili and you cannot skip the lemon squeeze. 100/10. The Veal Osso Buco Ravioli was tasty with the sautéed spinach, but just could not follow the calamari. It’s like listening to a headliner and then the opener comes in. Me and my partner ordered steak medium rare; one with lobster and one with lump crab. It was the most perfect steak I’ve ever had. 1) the quality of steak, the size, the flavor was amazing. 2) that was the truest medium rare steak I have ever received. And I appreciate that Roxanne confirmed what we meant when we ordered med rare. 100/10. To wrap this up: lobster 10/10, lump crab 7/10. Wine 10/10, lem drop martini 10/10 (general cocktail menu was lacking. I wish they had more adventurous options). I will be back, I will order the exact same thing minus the osso.

I go here all the time and Chris does an Atkin with making you feel welcomed. Sondra was amazing in the bar area as always. They are always consistent with celebrating you.

Update: 07/30/25 Got the food to go. Flavorful, cooked perfect temp, and still consistently awesome. I have been to multiple locations - Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Texas, etc. This location has the best overall service, food presentation and taste. I enjoy coming to this one each time. It doesn’t disappoint. One of the real prime meat fine dining restaurants in BR.

I love Ruth Chris and had to celebrate my Anniversary there. I would have given them the 5 Stars it deserves but my Steak wasn't on the 5 Star level this time. I'm sure it was because it was late and right at closing and I'm not one to send a plate back so I dealt with it. Everything else was wonderful and the Blueberry Cheesecake is enough to make me go back alone. Overall, still a great dining experience and I'm sure the next time our Porterhouse will be Medium like we love it. They have the nicest Staff by the way.

Following recommendations, I sampled both the tamales and steak. Although the tamales weren't part of the three-course Restaurant Week menu, they are highly recommended. The three-course meal included mushroom soup, a 24-oz steak with mashed potatoes and collard greens, and a dessert (the name of which I regrettably forgot). Always an excellent experience. I always get the hamburger steak for lunch. The side salad I get with ranch and Italian on the side because they are both so good. Not seen are the tamales which are also excellent and served with a homemade chili style sauce! The steaks are huge so I recommend splitting one if you choose !! They are well known for their steaks for sure!

The food was amazing. The service was great. The reviews already told me that. The ribeye was the smallest cut of it they had- 1.5#. That’s a big steak!! Temp was perfect. Seasoning was slightly bland- to be expected for the masses. The only reason for the 4 star- was price. It was quite pricey- I was expecting a price tag from the reviews, but I expected a percent, not a factor. The food was good… it just wasn’t $100+ good.

Doe’s is extremely accommodating with an exceptional wait staff! The best ribeye & tuna steak in town, hands down! Oh, & don’t skip the tamales, brussel sprouts, or asparagus!! Truly have never had a bad experience. Highly recommend!

I've always wanted to stop here for a meal, and with my birthday coming up soon and this being restaurant week - I decided to stop and have an early dinner. Ordered their set menu for restaurant week which was a huge 24 oz ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes and nice side salad and dessert. They also had two other protein choices for the restaurant week menu if you don't want steak The ribeye steak was HUGE and very tasty. The only reason I took off one star was that it could have been just a little bit more tender. Mind you it wasn't tough, but not the most tender steak I've ever had. Still, I really enjoyed my steak birthday dinner and staff were very friendly. FYI, if you've never eaten there it is very low-keyed and casual. Will definitely come back for a lunch sometime and try their hamburgers and their club sandwich.

The 3lb porterhouse was good, but it wasn’t $139 good. Texas Roadhouse has a more flavorful steak at a fraction of the cost. The shrimp were pretty good, but again, in South Louisiana, you’ve got to have an amazing recipe to beat out the competition. Taste of LA Cafe shrimp are much better. The staff and customer service were absolutely amazing. 5-stars for them!

Great place to eat. I think our table was too small for all the food we ordered lol This was another referral and it was everything I was told. The food was so good. The restaurant doesn’t look that big but there are other sections inside. I had a ribeye, mother had the Cajun snapper, sis had pasta and my neecy had the seafood potato as our main course. Delicious Deliciousness. We plan to go back again and I can’t wait.

First time for dinner today! We had 5 lbs of crawfish with a few potatoes and corn. We also had the Louisiana toast(not pictured) that was very flavorful and came out hot so really good! Also the sweet tea is 👌🏻 We had us two adults and our 4 kids, they do charge gratuity for 6 or more whether or not they are kiddos. The gratuity was not a big deal for us but just wanted to let others know that might have larger families. Overall the service was great, it’s not loud, just the right amount of sound not overwhelming.

Went a couple months ago and had the best time! Our server Aundria was amazing!! Food was delicious and the service was 10/10 as usual! I got the boiled shrimp special, the side loaded potatoes and an espresso martini.

Tried the Redfish Ryn and was not disappointed. Nicely flavored with a good heap of crab meat on the top with a nice creamy sauce made every bite enjoyable! Loved the gumbo fries. It took fries to the next level. Definitely worth a try!

Food is delicious but when you are spending $20 plus per plate, you shouldn't have your food served on cracked dishes. We had a party of 10 and every one of our entree dishes were cracked/chipped.

This was such a great surprise! I wanted to try a new place, and we took a gamble. I wanted to go back and try everything!

Firstly, the staff is very friendly. They helped my family and were patient. The food was really good. I got a BBQ burger, my wife got a burger with the egg, and my son got chicken nuggets. I got a side of tots and my son got a shake. The burgers were delicious. The meat isn't great, but it's standard burger. They make up for it in toppings. The burgers tasted great. My wife loved her burger, especially with the over easy egg. My son loved his chicken tenders, which were not the frozen, corn starch breading. They had home made flower breading. The tots were fantastic. They were crunchy and soft inside. Cooked perfectly. My son really loved the shake as well. It was very delicious. Overall, we were very satisfied with this restaurant and when we return to Baton Rouge, we will eat at this restaurant.

I’ve been here twice and the first time was great. Didn’t take long to get my food and it tasted great. Love the outdoor set up. When I came back a second time I ordered my food to go and when I got ready to eat the tots, I was missing the cheese and all the bacon was at the bottom of the container. Not sure what happened there.

It's been awhile, but I visited the site to determine that I was coming here for the Smokin Joe burger. The last time I got the potato tots and decided on the fries tonight. The meal came out lookin good. The burger was fantastic 😋 But, I shouldn't order fries. I got the leftover ones from previous orders 😟 I was very peeved to have a hot burger with cold fries. The kitchen staff messed up. That's why I hated tipping before getting my food because I wouldn't have been generous! It would have been Zero. They cooked me fresh ones. So, I got fresh fries with a cold Badass burger and that was very tasty with I thought was half a pound of bacon and pile of crisp onions, cheesy cheddar with a good Bar B Que sauce. HOWEVER, management redeemed themselves with Awesome customer service. There is no better than being a Satisfied customer with a Great dinner gone bad. They get a 5 ✨️ rating in my Satisfaction walking out with a delicious chocolate milkshake. Heads up, the whip topping was disappointing. It would be better without it.

Stay away. This place is past it's prime. I will start with the wife and I were served two cold hamburgers. That should be the end of the review. But there is more, barely cool draft beer, bacon you couldn't bite through and barely warm tots. Not to mention served cold burgers. Bathroom had a grimy feel to it and the tv at the bar is hanging crooked. Add to the fact that when we ordered a drink at the counter, the person taking the order told us they would try and find someone to serve our drinks. I won't be back and you should stay away.

Curbside is always a treat! I typically go for the Shroomin n jammin with a side of truffle fries, which are amazing. Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is great for lunch. I haven’t made it there for a dinner yet but they do have an awesome outdoor seating area with a stage.

Curbside has hosted our student band performances for the past 2 years, helping us provide fun performance opportunities for our students. Got 3 rolls and desert Heart Attack Roll - 7/10 Dynamite Roll - 8/10 Sexiest Woman Alive - 9/10 Desert Matcha Crepe Cake - 6/10 (HOWEVER if you if you like matcha, you will love this desert!!!) Waitresses, Jocelyn, was great at explaining food items and was very attentive. Bathrooms were clean and environment was friendly. We live out of town but will come a second time :)

Tried a new place to eat and it did not disappoint. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice. The menu had many new things I hadn't had and different rolls to choose from. Also had a nice drink selection and a variety of mixed drinks to choose. Will be going back so I can try the other rolls and drinks.

Umami has been on my list to try for quite some time. I drove in from out of town, had a reserved spot at the sushi bar. Service was excellent, the sushi chefs were great. We wanted omakase and got the large sashimi spread. The lamb chops were probably the highlight of the evening. The sushi we ordered was sexiest woman and sexiest man alive. These were top tier and incredible. We went with a sake flight. The highlight was a Sakari Yuzu which I bought a bottle of. Not pictured is the chicken Katzu, a lightly fried thigh. When you come here, there is something for everyone. Oh and the Chiefs lost in South America this night for an added bonus 🐯

Absolutely delicious and well planned Omakase. Hands down the best I have had across the states. The order and presentation matched the taste and made each set more exciting. Two of my coworkers tried Omakase here for the first time and couldn’t stop raving about it. I will be stopping by again on my next work trip.

I recently tried the sushi at Umami Japanese Bistro, and while it was good, it didn’t quite stand out. The fish was fresh, and the presentation was nice, but the flavors were more on the average side—nothing particularly memorable. For the quality, I found the prices to be a bit on the higher side. It’s a decent spot if you’re craving sushi, but it’s not a place I’d go out of my way to visit again.

This was a very hip, clean restaurant. The service was great. The menu selections were great. I had a blue crab and soft shell crab fried rice dish from the specials menu. It was good, but a little bland. Nothing a little eel sauce and special sauce can’t fix. My husband had a spicy ramen soup. He enjoyed it very much! We will be back!

We went for lunch around 1 pm. and were immediately seated. Everything on the menu sounded so good, so we were confused of what to order for a little while. We tried their spicy garlic edemame, snow crab salad for starters and both were really good. The sexiest woman alive sushi was a bomb... so good. I actually loved the taste of dipping the ginger they give along with sushi in the left over sauce they drizzled on the sushi. Then their umami fried rice was so unique in taste from any other fried rice i tried recently. We got the combo fried rice and their steak was perfectly done, melted in mouth. Shrimp was well seasoned and chicken was juicy. They had good portion of shitake mushrooms added in the fried rice too with a prominant taste from the black garlic. Ended the lunch with their matcha crepe cake slice and it was amazing, not too sweet but that distinctive matcha taste. On the whole it was a great spot for lunch date. Loved it, will be back again.

Very commercial. Food was okay, nothing to brag about. No wait for weatinf, half of the restaurant was empty. Staff was attentive. Most of the menu is fried and not a great representation of Louisiana cuisine. Overall, edible and easy if you just want a quick bite but nothing incredible.

The charbroiled oysters were delicious. And look how juicy this fish is! Everything was delicious and made for a great stop on our travels. Can't wait to return.

Acme was really great when they first came to town, however in my opinion there food has really degraded over the years and it's a shame. If you're in a pinch and have to have seafood, I would say stop in but if you're not in a pinch there are much better Seafood Restaurants on Perkins.

Decided to take my mother here for an evening lunch . My mother ordered a half dozen of charbroiled oysters , she said they were delicious. I ordered a sweet tea & a side order of jambalaya . She served me a water instead . My mother had got her oysters not 5 mins after they were ordered . Where as I had to wait roughly 15 mins for a small side of jambalaya. Then I didn’t recieve it until after I asked her how much longer would the wait be . My waitress seemed to have been distracted which was odd because they restaurant seemingly wasn’t busy .

One of the best charbroiled oysters in NOLA. Service was excellent. Food was quick and hot. Will come back when in area.

When it arrives, it’s everything it should be. A plate of ribs that have known patience, given over to time and smoke like some kind of slow Southern prayer. First, the dry rub, deep and knowing. Then the low heat, the long wait, the transformation. Fire at the end, but just enough—because the ribs don’t need to be drowned in sauce. They need to be honored. Potato salad on the side, the cool, starchy pause before the next bite. Slaw, crisp and clean, like a deep breath between sips of sweet tea that drips condensation onto the table. I take my time, because a meal like this isn’t just about eating—it’s about understanding. This is food with history, ribs with a story, and a place where tradition doesn’t just sit in a glass case—it sits next to you at the bar. Billy Cannon frozen in mid-stride, Pistol Pete caught in a flicker of impossible grace, Shaq with that unmistakable grin like a man carrying more than just a team. Some restaurants serve food. TJ Ribs serves memories. And as I walk out into the thick Baton Rouge night, the taste still lingers—smoke, spice, the weight of something done right. Some places fade. Some things get lost. But not here. Here, history isn’t just told. It’s eaten.

Cute spot has lots of space for parties get-togethers or celebrations. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The only downfall would be the white cheese for the macaroni. And cheese, however, the ribs, the catfish, and everything else was fantastic and highly recommended. You won't be disappointed!

I have been to this restaurant a lot of times but never have I had a waitress like Gina. She was polite and so attentive. She was the best waitress I have had in a very long time! Thank you for making the dining experience truly an experience as it should be!!! Ask to be seated in Gina's section!

I had a friend coming over to watch the LSU game today. I told her I was going to treat her to some TJ Ribs wings.... went on all day about how delicious they were. I ordered 3 orders and asked for a ranch and blue cheese dip in each. Got home and was so disappointed. Wings were overcooked and dry. Not one box had the dips I requested. None of them had celery either. So I apologized while we choked down my $58.00 purchase. The receipt on the bag clearly stated what I ordered but no one cared enough to get it right. I understand prices have gone up but no excuse for the dried up wings and not getting the order right. Why don't people care anymore?

They no longer offer a rib dish on their lunch menu. Prices are much higher than in the past (yes, all restaurants have raised their prices but theirs are more than most). Our server was clueless. We had to ask several times for simple items that she should have asked if we wanted when she took our order such as condiments for our sandwich which is served dry otherwise and butter for a baked potato that she brought completely bare. The iced tea was the best part of our meal. Although since it was fresh and melted the ice, we had to ask twice for a glass of ice. I will add that the restaurant was virtually empty when we were there so being “busy” cannot be used as an excuse. Our entire table was disappointed that a restaurant we have loved for years was such a let down this time. We will give them another chance due to years of good food and service.

3/7/24 Wake up! Y'all are sleepin on TJ Ribs! Tons of local sports memorabillia including a freaking wall of Shaq! It was so unbelievably cool! So atmosphere is already a 30 and then I swear they had a picture of Pistol Pete too! Went for lunch and Priscilla was an amazing server! I got the smoked wings. How are they the BEST IN TOWN. Cooked to perfection, permeated with deep smoky goodness. Fulton St. Ribs will have you slappin' your debit card repeatedly on the table. I'm not of the "Ribs falling apart are overcooked" crowd. If my Ribs bone don't come out cleaner than St. Peter's soul, I don't want it. Lo and behold, perfection as every single bone was easily drawn out and dropped. Boudin balls. I don't know where they come from, if they're made in house or brought in. They look brought in but they're scrumptious! Carrot souffle gets a 4, only because it was a bit too sweet. Onion Rings were perfectly crisp, and somehow not greasy! Give the kitchen staff a round of applause and a raise because they did that! Lastly, but not at all least, I forgot to ask the name of the hostess. She was so sweet and kind to us. Thank you so much, ma'am!

Unbelievable! Great BBQ for sure. Some of the best ribs I've ever had. Amazing.

Had a very good experience at Mike Anderson’s. Had the fried crab claws for appetizers then seafood platter with cold slaw which was fine. We also try the steak and it was as perfectly cooked per our choice. The waiter very professional and made regularly stop at ours table to checking on us. We really enjoyed our meal and will be back.

Ordered the seafood platter and the All American burger. Both were delicious. Service was great and quick considering the place was packed. Def recommend!!

This was my first time visiting this location and the service is really what sets this restaurant apart. I came here to have lunch with my parents while I was visiting. Emily and Joshua were friendly, pleasant and informative. I could tell that they were both hard workers that enjoyed their jobs, which is hard to find in the restaurant industry. I’m glad that I had the opportunity to visit.

Great service, good food concepts. Fire oysters were money! Bacon wrapped shrimp, cole slaw and mac & cheese was money! The Guitreau was lacking some seasoning. The seafood gumbo was lacking some seasoning.

Stopped by Andersons to try the food looks delicious right ? WRONG! the only thing edible on this plate was the fish fillet notice how I said edible because it wasn’t good it was flavorless and overcooked the stuffed bell pepper’s rice was mushy and tasted disgusting everything “stuffed “ on my plate (the crab mushroom shrimp oyster ) all had the same disgusting stuffing that I couldn’t take more than one bite of each , the shrimp was so nasty I had to force myself to finish the one bite I took of it the seafood chowder or whatever it was tasted like throw up I couldn’t even finish the one bite I took the only think I could eat was the baked potato on the side . Considering I only took small bites out of each item to taste I politely asked the manager was their anyway to send it back and get something different or just take it off the ticket to which he told us that we couldn’t we had to pay for food we couldn’t eat “you should be careful ab what you order “ he said.. for your menus to come with a warning is a huge red flag 🚩if you have to put a desclaimer on your menu that you probably might not like your food so be careful with what you order they know their food is trash I should HAVE KNOWN the food was going to be trash ! And had the nerve to offer a Togo plate i had to laugh in his face I wouldn’t even waste my time packing that up and taking it home knowing it would meet the trash a soon as I walked through the door terrible food terrible manager very nice waitress 0/10 would NOT recommend

The restaurant was very nice and I love the atmosphere. It was nice watching the fishes in the aquarium. I ordered the broiled seafood platter, and the only thing I enjoyed was the shrimp supreme, and the black drum fillet was ok. I ordered my husband, the same platter and he really enjoyed it.

There was a 30min wait when we arrived but they have a full service section by the bar that is a first come first serve and there was a table open there so we took it. Ally was our server and she was GREAT! It was our first time there and she took the time to answer our questions and explain the items. The food was really good. We enjoyed everything.

This place is amazing! The food was so delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly med rare, just how I like it, but also well done for my dad. Also it was my dad's birthday and they brought him his dessert with a candle and sang happy birthday to him.

A great experience, better if you come with your bf or gf, I did it myself and it was good servers are attentive, managers too. I did get some goods Caipirinha bc the Happy Hour... make sure you bring alot of appetite..

I loved this place. The staff, the decor, and the food were all wonderful. The salad bar is unmatched. The bathrooms were impeccable. I would recommend to everyone. The perfect place for a quick meal or a date night.

we did the all you can eat, 3 people for $300ish. i forgot to get a pic of my food before i ate it because they bring you meats one after the other. when we sat down we were encouraged to go to the soup and salad bars. i got some lobster bisque instead of whatever the shrimp soup was because the shrimp was shelled. the bisque contained no seafood or solids (just the liquid), so i didn't finish it. our waitress brought us garlic mashed potatoes, cheap fries, and fried cinnamon bananas completely unprompted (fiance said it's a ploy to fill you up on their cheaper foods). the apps went to waste because we were determined to save room for meats. i waited until the end to eat the sugared bananas, but a bitter unripe taste got stuck in my mouth and there wasn't enough sweetness to mask it. took them a bit after our initial request and our waitress going back to the kitchen several times before we got our filet mignon. 3 stars because i hate unnecessary food waste, and i liked some of their meats on the rarer side.

My fiancé and I began our evening with the soup and salad bar, and the lobster bisque was absolutely phenomenal. Every cut of meat we tried was excellent, and the service from the staff was equally impressive—friendly, attentive, and warm throughout our visit. As we were preparing to leave, I casually mentioned that it had been a wonderful birthday dinner. The manager, James, overheard the comment and kindly offered us a complimentary dessert. Although we were too full to enjoy it at the time, he graciously offered to package it for us to take home. Exceptional service like we experienced tonight—especially from James—leaves a lasting impression. I will absolutely be returning and recommending this restaurant to others.

It was my first time dining in at this place. It was super busy, which is understandable for it to be a Saturday. we ended upp having to wait 30 min past our reservation time to be sat. We really did not know what to do at furst, our server was not really specific about the specs on what to expect. The meat was good, some were a little cold but thats okay. The martinis were delicious. Unfortunately towards the end of the night, our stomachs hurt so bad. im not sure if it was the meat being out for too long or the seasoning, but that part left me not wanting to come back.

First Time Visit 07/01/23 We Made a Reservation Arrived Waited for about 5 minutes to be seated. We were seated by an awesome waiter. All of the meats that were served were delicious,hot, and seasoned. A couple of things I wasn't happy about they had no French fries, the utensils were on the bare table, and the tables were kinda close. The water tasted like Tap water. I was not impressed w/ my cocktail. But Overall I really enjoyed my experience and my dinner. Will definitely revisit. For 2 adults w/ cocktails we paid about $150

This is a fairly nice place but it's seemed a little over priced for a Mexican restaurant and service was kinda uncertain but come time to pay for the meal it was very unorganized, but with a group of 20 and each one trying to pay for their own can get confusing but the waiter kept giving me someone else's bill even after I told him what I had 3 times( taco salad with shrip and a large bowl of white cheese $50-60 total). Going as a couple or a small group maybe okay but I personally will not be going back to this place. Really wasn't impressed by the place after a 7 hour drive from Arkansas.

I have always been a Superior Grill fan. From when I lived in BR in the 90's and was the GM at Bennigan's till now. Atmosphere and Ambiance has always been good. The food is always excellent and the service is better than the competition. Can't go wrong w/ Superior Grill!!

We come to this one of the classics of the city to celebrate a birthday with a group of 12 Service was fast, margaritas were delicious and loved the food as always. They were so cute to celebrate with us.

OMG!!! One of the best experiences I’ve ever had. This was my first time going and I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. A friend and I enjoyed happy hour after work. We loved it. The food was fantastic. The music was great. The entire back of the restaurant was rocking and singing to the music that the band played. Also, no one rushed us out. In fact, they encouraged us to stay for as long as we wanted. And we did. If you want great food, drinks, music, and fun go to the Superior Bar and Grill Mid-City. I know I will. 🥳🤗🌮🍹🧉

I have heard of Superior Grill but had never been. I'm so glad we opted for Mexican on a Saturday night in Baton Rouge! The queso and salsa and chips were really good. The steak fajitas are out of this world delicious. And the Cilantro and Jalapeno Margarita was divinely spicy and delicious. The place was crowded but we did not have to wait for a table. Parking was easy and plentiful and the lot was packed. There were three birthdays being celebrated and they have a very fun way of celebrating you on your special day. We will be going back for more fajitas and margaritas!

I have long loved Superior. I had an old friend from out of town so I suggested we meet here for its lively, colorful atmosphere. I found the atmosphere, however, seated against the back wall near the kitchen was not ideal as it is dark and only LOUD. We ordered and our drink was brought immediately. Our appetizer soon followed and then our entree. We had hardly placed our napkins down when our check was presented. We paid and tipped generously- despite not having any warm interaction with waitstaff. 10 minutes after paying, our waitress measly and quite curtly suggested we leave due to " long waitlist". I was appaled. I feel disrespected, degraded and terribly embarrassed. I have been dining out in Baton Rouge for 60 years and NEVER has this happened to me, EVER We occupied the table for 1.25 hours. I caution others, especially older ladies like myself.

This place gives me Papasitos vibes. The building, the white table cloths, nice silverware, and definitely the pricing. Unfortunately that’s as good as it gets. The rice, beans, tortillas, chips and salsa are all very basic. No way this didn’t come off a Sysco truck. I ordered the lunch special Mesquite Fajita. The fajita was actually very tender. No complaints there. But, the mesquite flavor was minimal and barely noticeable. Service was a little disjointed. As nice as the staff was, I’m not seeing a return visit in my future.

Older restaurant that is popular with locals and reasonably priced entrees. Their lasagna is good, with a little heavier on the cheese. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and wine while passing through Baton Rouge. They even had live music when we arrived.

Enjoyed a fantastic meal at Gino's in Baton Rouge. The Daou red wine was excellent. Loved the flavorful meatball appetizer and the fresh Mama's Special Salad. The Veal Sorrentina was a highlight - tender, cheesy, and delicious (had to take some home!). Consistent quality keeps me coming back to Gino's.

Authentic Italian American restaurant with a homey yet upscale vibe. The server was impeccable. I had the lunch special veal. The spaghetti that accompanied the veal was the star though. I could drink that red sauce. The veal was prepared perfectly, but it lacked flavor. My daughter's lasagna was delectable as well as the house bread and vinegarette for the salad. I'd definitely return for a date night.

While visiting Baton Rouge we decided on Italian. Picked this place. Service was Great and read Great reviews but unfortunately it didn't live up to the 5 star people we're giving it. Didn't have the taste we we're expecting. Still was worth going but wouldn't go back. There we're a lot of items on the menu they we're out of, so that sucked.

This place feels like one of those plazas in Italy with their interiors. We started with the Lawrence bread. My date got the veal Parmesan with a side of spaghetti and I got the veal Tomahawk special, which was an absolutely splendid chunk of meat. At the end, I was picking it up and eating the meat off the bone like a true caveman. The bowtie pasta came on the side and was also fantastic. I forgot what the dessert was called, but it was also super good.

This place was awesome. The waiter was so professional and helpful. His recommendation for the lamb chops was spot on. Some of the best I've ever had. The wine he recommended paired beautifully. The bowtie pasta side dish was great too! Such an elegant atmosphere.

Beautiful place. Customer service experience from a bald headed server was really bad. I honestly didn’t care for his rudeness as long as the food was good. I am a security guard that can only treat myself every so often. I was paid last Friday and thought about having a nice meal after a long 60hrs work week and the chicken parmigiana was so bad. The chicken was rubber. I am 6’4 260 lbs, so hungry, and I didn’t want to finish my meal, it wast taste at all. The garlic bread that is complimentary in any Italian cantina was charged $6 and it was really good. I would love to have a different experience there so I could go back. The waiter that was having a bad day said he would talk to the chef. I reply: you don’t even care, don’t bother it. Nothing will come from that. Paid the bill with the extra $6, no tip because how can you not have a good chicken parmigiana at an Italian cantina.

Ordered pepperoni slices since it was my first time trying it out and didn't want to order a whole pie. It was baked the way I wanted without asking for it to be well done. The only small thing I can say is that pepperoni was too crisp and shriveled up for my liking. It still tasted decent. Other than that I would highly recommend for good customer service and good vibes.

On Tuesday 4-8-25, about 6PM, my friend and I visited Red Zeppelin for the first time. We chose to sit outside since it was a beautiful day. The server, Olive, was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We ordered jalapeno bread and a Mamma Mia pizza to share. Both were good. Could have used a little more cheese on the pizza, but it was good. Also, the pizza crust was very thin and crunchy, which is a little hard to chew. Would have liked options for the crust. Overall, it was a great experience and will probably go again!

Honestly pretty good food and great atmosphere. Sandwich was really good and pretty large. Their pizza was thin crust and perfectly cooked with plenty of toppings! Plenty of beer/ wine / spirits to choose from to go with your order if wanting. Garlic and cheese breads were both tasty and crunchy!

If you're looking for a quiet place, this isn't it. It's pretty loud, from music and people talking, but the atmosphere is cute and everyone is friendly. I ordered to go, but got a $5 mimosa while I waited. The waitress/bartender went grab a new bottle because when she first poured, the champagne looked flat. It isn't cheap (I spent $49 on a 14 inch meat pizza with 2 additional toppings, onions and jalapeños for $3, plus 10 wings), but it's super cool and apparently people love it because they're starting to roll in. Everything is made to order.

Had a great meal recently at this iconic Baton rouge pizza joint, we came at lunch time on a Saturday and were pleased with everything about our visit from the atmosphere being close to LSU to the service that was second to none ( our server Lauren was like a pizza wizard knowing every detail and quirky question we asked of her), and the actual pizza was a solid 9 out of 10 on our scale. We went for the vegetable pizza and the Greek one and tho toppings were so.e of the freshest I've ever had!! 100% recommended and will visit again for sure

Delicious Led Zepplin themed specialty menu, make your own with large topping selections including anchovies!!! No high-end toppings like goat cheese, but great for what it is! Super great pizza! Crust comes on the thin side. We split a Mothership, Hummus, & Jalapeño cheezy bread. Alcoholic drinks available & beer. Local Louisiana Abita is always a great choice.

Anna and Katie were fantastic. Helpful and polite, friendly! I came in for take out and stayed because of the staff and customers being so friendly, I wanted to stick around and enjoy the people! Food was excellent. I’m kind of a pizza snob and this pizza was perfectly done, tasty, and just the right about and at a great price! Thank you for the great experience!

Liiiiiisten.... do not go anywhere else to eat until you try this place! All this time, this hidden gem... we went to celebrate a birthday, and from the time we walked in, until we left, every single staff member was wonderful. Especially our waitress Miss Jenifer! Ma'am, you remind me of when I was young and I was a waitress. You went above and beyond!! Don't forget my advice about the milk!! This place is amazing and the food is the best Mexican food I've had in a very....very long time! Even our to-go order was on point! WE WILL BE BACK!! The service is exceptional! Nice atmosphere. Perhaps ai chose the wrong food but it was very average. Black beans were really good. Chicken enchiladas (meat and wraps) were quite dry as was the rice. Margarita was a little sweet for my taste.

We had the best experience at Tio’s recently (and as always). We had a large party of 30. The management and staff were so attentive and made sure our experience was perfect! They went above and beyond. The food was amazing and the service was top notch! Thank you Robert and everyone at Tio’s that made our party so awesome!

We stopped in at Tio Javi’s and were blown away by how fresh and flavorful everything was. I had the burrito done chimichanga style—crispy on the outside, stuffed with savory goodness inside—and it hit all the right notes. The food was delicious. The handmade tortillas were phenomenal. Our server Kamryn was outstanding as well. My dish was a little pricier than I normally spend for a lunch dish, but I ate on it twice and it was so good that it was worth it to me.

Went here for a business lunch. Food was very good. The green sauce and salsa they bring out with the chips are both excellent. I especially love the green! Best tortillas I've ever had. They are handmade throughout the day everyday right in the front where you can watch. I had the steak and chicken fajitas which were excellent. The person I was having lunch with had steak tacos which he seemed to enjoy. He ate everything.

I celebrated my birthday here with a party of 10, and everything from start to finish was beyond amazing! When I called to make the reservation, the girl who helped me was incredibly sweet and made the process so easy! When we arrived, our table was already set up and waiting for us. The drinks, the food, and the overall service were top-tier. Huge shoutout to our server, Angel, who was absolutely phenomenal! And big thanks to Robert and Holly at the front for being so warm and accommodating. The entire staff goes above and beyond to make you feel special and taken care of. The food was OK with a menu that isn’t full of random stuff. Pretty straight at the point. We ordered the burgers and the cheese curds. The cheese curds were mid, but the burger was tasty. The only thing I didn’t like about the place was that the tables are too close to each other. We heard everything that people next to us were taking about. Also the parking is limited. You have to park under the bridge or something. But it’s still a decent spot close to campus so there’s that.

Enjoyed lunch with 2 other guest. Had the chicken club sandwich with brussell sprouts. Chicken was very juicy and sprouts were delicious with a bit of char. Other guest enjoyed their shrimp salad and burger and fries. Service: Server was excellent and exceeded expectations . Overall good place for a nice meal in Baton Rouge. Parking: is under the overpass as the name states and may be a bit confusing when you pull in, is an open lot style so park as needed under the bridge pillars. Handicap spots are close to the building and they do have ramp access. Outside seating is available but we chose to eat indoors.

Loved this place! Dylan was our server, and he was excellent. The food and drinks were tasty. I am especially fond of the fish tacos and the broccoli/cauliflower app. Will definitely be back.

We walked in and were blown away by the atmosphere. It was lovely inside. Our server was prompt and attentive and friendly. Good drinks. Cheese curds were very, very good. The main brunch dishes were all subpar with the exception of the kale caesar salad, which was very good and a good serving size for a side. The honey butter chicken biscuit was flavorless: the chicken was dry and had zero flavor, and the biscuit was underbaked and mushy. It needs more ingredients to make it saucy and full of flavor and texture. Shrimp and grits were swimming in sauce that was too strong of a vinegar flavor and the grits were very hard. The breakfast burrito was inedible due to the fatty chunks of bacon and the carmelized onions - they were sickly sweet like marmalade but also smelled really bad like sauerkraut - nothing resembling onions. The standard breakfast plate was fine, but again the grits were rock hard so weren't eaten. The hashbrowns were boring and flavorless. It was very disappointing because the atmosphere was so amazing. The bar area would be great to return to for a drink and cheesecurds, but we wouldn't come back for a meal.

So very impressed by this place! I am always weary when restaurants claim to be farm to table places. All of this food was so delicious and FRESH! Even my picky eater loved it. Highly recommend the cauliflower & broccoli. When ordered to go the next day (working here from out of town) and it was STILL delicious. Drum tacos have amazing flavors. Burgers are divine. Chicken club delicious! Grouper sandwich on point! Will definitely recommend to everyone. Thank you for a surprisingly great experience.

My friends and I sat on the patio, which worked out great for us (a party of 5). Our servers were great! They were friendly and attentive. The appetizers were amazing! The Tempura Fried Green Beans and Brussel Sprouts are a must!! The drinks were delicious! I didn't particularly care for the Chicken Pasta. It was bland in taste. However, our overall experience was fantastic!

UPDATE No. 2… really trying to like this place, but no luck. Went back today (8/10/25) for brunch and my order was hardly edible. Had the biscuits & gravy… biscuits were hard/tough, very little (if any) sausage in the gravy and the eggs were crispy and rubbery. Absolutely horrible. Sorry guys… Cool place / Horrible Food. UPDATE… went back to give “The Burger” a second chance. All I can say is “Nothing to see here”! Nothing has changed… our server was nice, but gone when you needed her, took longer than usual to get our food and then it wasn’t cooked right. We ordered 2 burgers, 1 medium rare and one medium… they both came out very “Well Done!” I would have sent it back, but couldn’t find our server. We shared our situation, regarding our food, with our server when we asked for the check. She replied that they were training the cook and he wasn’t “quite getting it”! 🤔 Well, that’s 2 strikes for the Overpass Merchant… really trying to like this place, but they are making it very hard. Nice little gastropub with outside seating. Inside is loud and crowded with a small bar area. Service is very good and the food was good. Went specifically to try “The Burger”… a blend of Chuck, Brisket and Short ribs. It was good, not great. I was a little suspect when I saw they owned “Curbside” (one of the worst burgers I had recently). Good cocktails. Nice place to go for snacks and drinks on the patio.

The filet was PERFECTION. The crab cake ..all crab ... it was excellent. The shrimp and grits (I was told by my Dad) was the best ever. The Brussels sprouts were amazing. The French onion soup was better than some you find in Paris. The service was top notch, our server, Ava Claire, was attentive without being intrusive. She made the evening even more enjoyable.

Went here for our anniversary. Everything was delicious aside from the steak, which was so so, and lamb was gamey.. I really didn't care for either. French onion was delicious. Lobster was a little rubbery. The desert and champagne were delectable. These guys went above and beyond to make our day special.

Exceptional service and food!! We first arrived at 2pm, not realizing we could only order off the brunch menu, so we made a 3pm reservation and returned. Both times we were greeted immediately and seated without issue. Emma was our waitress/server and did a phenomenal job!! She gave recommendations of the crab cake and ribeye, both of which we ordered. The food was nothing short of amazing!! I don't mind paying for quality food and service, and Stab's offered both! The portions were definitely large enough to share and we still had leftovers to bring home. If we're ever back in the area, we'll definitely be back. I recently celebrated 2 birthdays at Stab's. This was my 1st visit to Stab's, and it was a great dining experience. We received excellent service for our party of 10. The food was superb! I've eaten at several other top rated steakhouses, and this one is now at the top of my list. I loved the variety of the menu and the extensive wine list. I'll definitely have to go back again because I look for consistency in service and food. But for now, they are number one. They entire party of 10 agreed!

8/7/2022 My son and I had an AWESOME time. Our food was perfect and Harley is an Excellent server!😍 My cousin and I visited on 1/27/2022. Everything was excellent! Harley, our server was Terrific! Her recommendations were on point and Amazing! Harley was very attentive; just perfect! We appreciate an awesome experience even though there were technical difficulties in the end.

Celebrated two special occasions this evening, and it was absolutely wonderful! Our server was Emma and she was the biggest help with what to order and she was spot on! Service and food was phenomenal! Couldn't have picked a better place eat!

The shrimp corn dogs were really good! A great appetizer to share with 4 people. The shrimp and grits were also good if you don't mind a savory style of grits. The burger was okay, nothing to brag about. Chicken and waffles had a good flavor and was a crowd favorite. The ambiance/ atmosphere did not match the style of the food. When walking in it seems like a restaurant where you could dress up a bit but the food was giving dress down. Our server was great and catered to our every need. We did get some slight frozen tater tots and sent those back. Other than that, SoLou was a cute eatery but the food could have been better.

In town for a dance convention so I googled places to eat and SoLou came up as a top place so we decided to give it a try for Sunday brunch. It did not disappoint. It was packed when we got there. Hostess said there was a 30 min wait but we got seated in less than 15. Waitress was super nice. She recommended the LouBerry and margarita drink. We enjoyed them. Also we had the crabmeat cheesecake and hot crawfish dip and they both were delicious. For dessert, we had the bread pudding. All of it was 10/10. Also, they serve pork rinds complimentary while you wait on your food. Seemed like everyone was celebrating a birthday that day so I know the staff sung Happy Birthday at least 10 times while we were there, but they all did it with a smile! Even the manager was singing right along with them. She even came by checking on us a couple of times. Great atmosphere and good fresh food. Will def go back.

Unimpressed with my visit and food unfortunately. Really would give 3.5 stars. We had a party of 7 with a reservation at 1:15pm. I called them saying we were running a few mins late and was told that was fine and we would get seated once we got there. We arrived and waited almost 45 minutes before being seated! What’s the purpose of a reservation if we still have to wait?! The ambiance was good bo complaints there. Busy for Sunday brunch. The food left us feeling underwhelmed. The shrimp corn dogs tasted like they were right out of the freezer. The cauliflower was decent. The crawfish scramble was decent but literally had no seasoning, had to add salt n pepper. Just really disappointed because I came in with high hopes.

We’re in town for bowling and found this great spot by chance. Fantastic spicy gumbo and sweet crab and corn chowder! The truffle Mac and Cheese was delicious and creamy and everything was piping hot! I didn’t get our bartenders name but he was super attentive and made delicious cocktails. Wasn’t very busy when we arrived but was full by the time we left. Great atmosphere, music was just right.

We had a fantastic time at SoLou! Our server Haven was so friendly and helpful. The smoked old fashioned was one of the best I’ve had in town. The crab and brie grilled cheese was so savory and the salmon dish hit all the right flavor notes. We topped off the evening with a table side s’mores set up. Definitely worth every penny!

My group visited SoLou Baton Rouge on a Sunday for brunch. Our waiter was fantastic and the food was delicious! I feel like their prices are pretty good and the atmosphere was great! The patio is nice but everyone would benefit from more air circulation. I would suggest SoLou to anyone! 5 Stars!

Ordered through doordash for delivery. Tried the appetizer cauliflower. It was delicious. The Thai sauce & spicy mayo give it a great kick & burst of flavor. Its a large quantity. I was happy with the sauces on the side so it wasn't mushy by the time it reached me. Appreciate that. The side mashed potatoes were decent. The cheddar tater tots were okay. The broccolini was very salty for me. It came with cotton candy & pork chips. They give complimentary cotton candy if you aren't ordering dessert already. Food was clean & tasty. Would definitely dine in and try other entrees. One thing to note is doordash increases the price of each item by a few dollars. Check out the real prices on their website. Another note for doordash is inaccurate description of the items. Ordered a sensation salad-description read tomato, red onion, cucumber, etc. The sensation salad was only lettuce & almonds. It was good but only 2 ingredients & the dressing was thicker then a vinaigrette. Loved the creole cheesecake! Fun dessert. The crunchy aspect was a great surprise. Had caramel, chocolate, raspberry.

I would have never picked to come here….. but brooooooooooo. It’s a store, restaurant, grocery store , bar… under the bridge ,, gravel road nowhere to park .. live band, solo guitarist , I don’t know when I got here or when to leave . I wanna . Ok back to the place under the bridge . The waiter was cool super busy . I was late as usual . Arrived at the same l time as the birthday girl. the bldg 5 flavor flight was the 💣. I’ve been to BLDG5 a few times, and i have to say the food is truly impressive. The Stracciatella Board is light, creamy, and beautifully done, one of the best starters in town. The Shrimp Panang is another favorite, full of flavor and always cooked perfectly. Their cocktails are creative and well balanced, making it a great spot for food and drinks. That said, the service has been very discouraging. I’ve noticed a consistent difference in how staff treat guests — warm and friendly with Americans, but dismissive and unkind toward people of color, including Hispanic and Indian diners. It’s disheartening when the hospitality doesn’t match the quality of the food. I truly wish the experience was more welcoming because the menu is outstanding, but until the service improves, I often choose other places when going out with friends.

This place rocks. Great date night spot, we went two nights back to back because it was so good. Incredible ambiance inside and out. They have friendly and knowledgeable servers who go above and beyond. We got the powerhouse salad with a steak and potato board the first night and a well as the harvest board with Tuna and a Crostini grazing board the second. They did not disappoint.

Food options were interesting and made with high quality ingredients, but the flavor was surprisingly bland. I would definitely go back and maybe try some different dishes.

This place is such a beautiful spot! The atmosphere is stunning with exceptional service. The chip and dips were lovely. My son had the karage chicken and it was delicious. My husband and I shared the tuna bowl and it was good but could use some salt. The star of the show was the Tom kha gai soup, phenomenal. The cocktails were delicious as well. Overall 9/10

Loved the ultra cool vibe of this place. Had the charcoohie board for 2 and got extra bread for . 75 cents. Also had the protein plate quinoa comes w protein plates which was yummy. Had the salmon, perfect texture. Finished w the chocolate cake. Loved it all.

Tony's runs like a well oiled machine, and employs a huge staff of friendly and courteous people. They have been in business for years in the same location under the direction of the same family. The product has retained the same quality through the years, which in Baton Rouge sets them apart from many others who are no longer around. I really enjoy the cafeteria style lunches that are served daily, as well as the boiled shrimp and crawfish when in season. Whether you are grabbing goodies to go or need large portions for events Tony's is your one stop shop for seafood. Stop in if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed.

You can't go wrong. I came here 3 times during my trip to Baton Rogue and lemme tell you the cooked food is top notch full of flavor plus the service is uncomprimised with plenty of seafood options to get you right.

Found this spot via Google maps on my way back to the airport. Glad I did. There was a line of locals out the door and well worth the wait. Food was delicious. I got the three meat plate. There is no seating because it is a true market with a to go hot counter. We simply walked across the street to Canes ordered two sweet teas and sat in a booth. Absolutely delicious!

My first time visiting and the next time I'm in BR, I definitely will go back! There's boiled food on one side and hot food on the other. Those crab boudin balls are delicious! I got boiled shrimp, turkey necks and corn and all was good! I also got a hot plate with fried fish and the fish was good, but we didn't eat the sides.

I recently visited Tony's Seafood on April 26, 2025, and I was appalled by the experience. I discovered a pest in my food, which was not only shocking but also deeply unsettling. As a well-regarded establishment in Baton Rouge, I expected far better in terms of cleanliness and food safety. Your customers deserve to eat at a restaurant that prioritizes their health and well-being, yet my experience raises serious concerns about the standards maintained behind closed doors. After reaching out to their HR department, I did not receive a response, which only amplifies my concerns. I urge potential diners to be cautious. I will also be reporting this incident to the Better Business Bureau to ensure that others are aware of the serious health risks associated with dining here. I hope the management takes swift action to address this unacceptable situation.

Before I visited Tony’s, I had never had a seafood boil before and boy am I glad I saved my first boil for this place. I am obsessed, I stay awake at night thinking about how delicious their food is and their amazing waitstaff! I have been here twice now and I can guarantee you every time I am nearby I will be stopping in for food. The shrimp are absolutely perfect!!

Food at Capital City Grill was not good at all. I had the French dip, and the meat was so tough I couldn’t even bite through it — I ended up pulling most of it out with every bite. The horseradish tasted days old, and the fries were way over-seasoned and super salty. Granted, it’s a bar and they probably want you to drink more, but the food should still be decent. The only thing I actually enjoyed were the hush puppies — they were good, but a honey butter sauce would really help offset how salty the rest of the dish was. Overall, this feels like a classic case of an owner or manager not tasting their own food regularly to make sure the quality is up to par. I wouldn’t recommend it. Amanda my server was excellent and the service doesn’t reflect the food, also another case of upscale look with mediocre food.

8.2.25 I came here for the first time with my guy. After looking at the reviews, I was set on the salmon. My salmon was burnt/severely charred at the bottom, and of course the charred side was placed on top of the rice, so that I didn't notice it until I ate it. That soy sauce gravy over rice is not tasty at all. It looked like something squeezed out of a pouch that was placed over the rice. I tried my best to eat whatever white rice I could find without that soy gelatin spread over it. I was hungry, but I was displeased that the chef found it okay to make the customer suffer for loss of a great piece of salmon by burning it. There was NOTHING unique or worth the amount of money that was spent on this meal. I assumed that the quality and the preparation of the meal would have been better than just walking into some Chinese buffet to get rice that was served in this manner. Matter of fact, the Chinese Buffet would have done better because they would have been true to the cuisine and not just spread soy gelatin over rice. The atmosphere was good and quiet for the most part. I will never be back. I DO wonder what most people are ordering here, though.

I love the outside seating! Our table wasn't too clean but the the umbrellas were a nice touch and the scenery was a plus. Our waiter was really nice! Our overall food experience was not good. I ordered the crawfish cornbread and the corn bread was so hard and crumbly it was impossible to eat. My husband got the seafood omelet and it was just ok. I expected more from the beignets(since we were in Baton Rouge) but they were so dense and crumbly, I did not like them at all. The best thing I had here was the Shirley temple. That was it. The food seem to be old. I believe they need to up their game with the care and freshness of their food. It's definitely not a place I would visit again. Let me not forget, we also had alligator and it was seasoned really well, but very chewy.

We decided to take a shot here, not busy was lunch time. Upon arriving we entered the bar side. Gal at the bar are you wanting to sit at the bar and we said noo. Instead of pointing your finger goto the other side takes us there. Upon getting to the other side entrance we got seated right away. We ordered two drinks smash berry was a good choice and my lady chose barg root beer. We ordered two appetizer.. one was queso and chips and the other appetizer was banger shrimp. The queso was so thin it was just not tasty no flavor tasted water down. The Banger shrimp was a bit better but it was not crunchy more like soggy had sum flavor. We were asked if we wanted to order entree right after we ordered our appetizer. We said give us a few. Due to the appetizer mediocre taste we chose not to order entree. We were never asked for a refill. I would of had several if they would ask. It's not my job to hunt down service its their responsibility to make the sale. 20% gratuity not even. We went elsewhere for lunch.

When I tell you first off there food is always so good, but what stood out today I had ordered food on DoorDash and I called the restaurant to add more dressing and when I tell you that they made it less complicated with no issues and no complaint about it. Not only that they made my food look so advertising and yes it was sooo good ! I love capital city grill !!!!!

Me and my wife and my stepdaughter thought the food was good and the service was fabulous and we had an awesome waitress and her name was Mallory.

After a long day on the road, we were looking forward to our first meal in Baton Rouge, and Anthony’s seemed like a great pick. We love mom-and-pop places and enjoy Italian food, so the glowing reviews and long history had us excited. The staff was warm and friendly, and we appreciated the welcoming atmosphere. That said, we wish someone had advised us more strongly on portion sizes—while the comment “Y’all are going to have a lot of food” was made, we didn’t realize just how much. One Muffoletta would have been plenty for the two of us. We ordered the New Orleans Style Muffoletta, the Godfather, and a stuffed artichoke. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to our expectations. The sandwiches were average, and the stuffed artichoke was especially disappointing—it was so tough and fibrous that I couldn’t eat it, despite really wanting to enjoy it. I have fond memories of my mother preparing tender artichokes when I was young, and this one didn’t compare. One Muffoletta could easily serve a family of four with average appetites, perhaps with a side or two to share for those with heartier appetites. I do wish the size of the sandwiches had been explained to us, especially since we mentioned to the person taking our order that it was our first time visiting. We decided to give dessert a try, thinking we couldn’t go wrong with a classic cannoli—but unfortunately, we were disappointed once again. It lacked flavor and just didn’t hit the mark. We’re not sure if we just ordered the wrong items, given how many people seem to love this place. If we’re ever back in the area, we might give it another try and go for something from the pasta menu instead.

A buddy and I stopped in for lunch at Anthony’s Italian Deli in Baton Rouge, and it was an awesome experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the location is convenient, and the service was friendly and quick. My friend had the lunch spaghetti, and I went with the muffuletta — hands down the best muffuletta I’ve ever had! The flavors were incredible and the portions were generous. Anthony’s is a true gem, and I’ll definitely be back soon.

I tried Anthony’s today and was very happy with my meal. I got the pizza poboy and my friend got a turkey Muffoletto. The people there are super friendly and wanna make sure you have a great dining experience. The atmosphere is very family friendly. If you’re in the mood for some good Italian sandwiches, give Anthony’s a try.

Just wow!! This place is phenomenal! The service was incredible and the food was outstanding! The atmosphere gives a feeling of sitting at a bistro in Italy. I had the Italian Lovers and pasta salad. If I am ever back in town this will be my go to every time.

Ordered 1/2 muffuletta with a house salad. Counter service was very friendly and attentive. The house salad was delicious with the balsamic dressing. The muffuletta is very good, but if you’re a fan they do use a little bit different bread than you may have had at other places. Here the bread is thinner and crisp. I really enjoyed my meal and I’m eager to return and try more menu items.

This place is amazing if you're looking for authentic Italian in the heart of Baton Rouge. I had a friend visiting from NY State. Muffalettas aren't a thing up there and he really wanted to try it. We both got one and it's probably the best I've tasted in this city. The man serving us was amazing as well! He's super friendly and knowledgeable. I've been living here for years and this is the first time I've visited here but it won't be the last!

Great little spot for lunch…the meatballs and homemade sausage reminds me of my grandmas Sunday dinners. The sausage was fantastic w that little bit of fennel that was just right …Meatballs on par with the sausage . The only real letdown was the dessert . The cannoli was watery and loose with no signs of mascarpone to be found anywhere . The split cherry on it was also disappointing to see. The cannoli shell itself being from Ferraras was crispy crunchy and held up to the watery filling as well as it could. Overall go for the Italians meats and meals they are well worth it.

The employees seem sad, that was weird. The service felt a little lacking. The upsides are that the decor is really nice. Dimly lit, dark brown wood, cozy feel. It is very clean too, even the bathroom looks spotless. Prices are not cheap, but not unreasonable either. The quality of the food is definitely the saving grace. Really tasty and high quality!

I had an incredible dining experience at J. Alexander’s in Baton Rouge! The crabcakes were absolutely delicious, perfectly golden on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside, with just the right balance of seasoning. They were truly some of the best I’ve had. I also enjoyed the Blueberry Lemon Drop and the Peach Martini, both cocktails were excellent. Not only were they well-crafted and full of flavor, but there was definitely a generous pour, which was a big plus. The Blueberry Lemon Drop was crisp, refreshing, and had just the right amount of tartness, while the Peach Martini was smooth, slightly sweet, and very easy to enjoy. For my entrée, the brine-marinated chicken was a standout, incredibly juicy, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection. From start to finish, everything about the meal was top-notch. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The entire experience was a taste bud delight dipped in more deliciousness 😋 Those Carolina Lump Crabcakes looked as delicious as they tasted, I wanted to lick my plate! The Ahi tuna salad was seared to perfection with the sweetest combination of home dressing mixed in fresh arugula! Another plate licking plate! This is my FAVORITE restaurant to frequent in Baton Rouge and today’s visit was EXCEPTIONAL thanks largely in part to my server DANI. She has a beautiful spirit and is very personable in her approach to service. I’ve never had a bad experience here and today she went exceeded my expectations. Her attention to detail is amazing!! Refilling drinks without me having to ask and continuously checking in me to make sure I was good. It’s people like her who help give J.Alexanders a good name and reputation! Kudos and 10’s across the board to DANI!!🥰

After being told, what a great dining experience, this would be, I left sorely disappoint. I tried the slow roasted prime rib, because that is one of my favorite meals and I had heard so much about this location. It was very tender, but it had little to no flavor. The horseradish had little to no kick, and the mashed potatoes also had very little flavor. The indicators of the meal should have been how quickly it was brought out to me, far too fast for it to have been prepared once I arrived. On the other hand, the atmosphere was fantastic, the staff was fast, cordial, and available for my every need. Unfortunately, it was not enough to make up for the meal and I wouldn’t recommend this is a dining location for anyone.

My friends and I stopped at this restaurant on our way back to Texas from New Orleans. I was most impressed. The food was excellently prepared. The wait staff was prompt and available. I loved the decor of the restaurant. Very friendly atmosphere. I plan to visit other locations during my travels. Glad my friend recommended it.

This place is run like a well oiled machine. You can tell the staff loves what they do and where they work. This speaks volumes of management and ownership. The teamwork shown here is admirable. Our server was Emma who was very kind, beautiful, aware, razor focused, & attentive. She literally literally walked by while assisting other tables & had other servers refill drinks & bring extra chips. It was great to experience. My husband & I spoke of how Emma should be a team lead or at the least complimented on her premiere service. Our devil eggs were delivered by Executive Chef Jeremy & were tasty. We also ordered Queso, Steak Maui, & Ribs. I hadnt visited since Executive Chef Francisco (years ago) and I am pleased about the excellence here.

I had the chance to dine at Albasha while in Baton Rouge, and overall, it was a delightful experience. I tried the Albasha platter which included the grape leaf wrap which was just okay for me—perhaps a bit dry and lacking in flavor inside—but the rest of the meal certainly made up for it. The hummus was delicious, the salad was fresh with an excellent dressing, and the tzatziki sauce was right on point. The lamb kebabs, were cooked to perfection, and the Kibbi something I hadn't tried before—was unique and tasty with a crisp outer shell and a delicious meat filling. Albasha really stood out with items on the menu that I hadn't seen at other Greek and Lebanese restaurants, making it definitely a one of a kind spot!

The ladies behind the bar seemed to avoid eye contact with me, but my server was nice and patient. The food…wonderful. I would go back.

Best place to get lunch near campus. So much food for a good price. I can always count on it to hit. I don't think i could get sick of the combo plate even if i ate it everyday. I usually just call in my order and then pick it up for to go.

One of the best Mediterranean restaurants I have been to. All the dishes are really good. The hummus is delicious. Good service and more than enough quantity. Place is 100% halal even though the serve alcohol. Please note : If you put one bill of 60$ or more then they put 18% gratuity tip by default. Which was surprising for us since we never came across such a thing.

Great food. Had meatless stuffed grape leaves, gyro, and baba ganoush. My biggest issue was the temperature of the food. The stuffed grape leaves were all temperatures. A few were hot, a few luke warm and a few cold. Confusing. Flavor was on point! My gyro was not warm at all. Felt like it might've been sitting waiting on the server; however, the meat was just how I like it, tender and moist. Their baba ganoush was super yummy. I'll be getting that again as a take out order. Seriously super yummy. Only a few of the pitas were warm. Unfortunately, the server was lack luster. She came once to my table during the meal and the other time during the meal she called to me from more than twenty feet away to see if I was ok. Kinda of weird interaction. Made me feel like I was second class because I was dining alone. Foolish because I tip crazy good when I get a good server. I would've been if they had cracked a smile. The greeter who seated me was super and made me think it was going to be great service. I'll probably be back for some take out and avoid the service.
