First time going and lets just say they don't disappoint. The appetizers were all good enough to be entres! From the pictures you see the food taste exactly like you see it amazing!! Will definitely go back! Can't forget about the cocktails which were fantastic!!!

The food was amazing. The atmosphere was rich and the air was pungent with many different smells from the food but it didn’t bother me too much. The blueberry cheesecake was fluffy. The chocolate cake texture was rich yet light. It was a little loud in volume so maybe some textile on the walls would help that. It was a lot of fun.

Awesome Aarya for dining out. This is a great location. And great atmosphere. We were seated quickly. Had a great server. One thing I noticed. All the servers were hustling maybe it’s because I was near the kitchen I noticed. Seem like a good place for young people to work. Food was delicious. We got the shebang. And shared the meal. Green beans were cooked perfectly. All the fried food was so delicious. We didn’t even need to ask for tartar or cocktail sauce.

We’ve been wanting to stop by for a while, but between life and kids, we’re just now getting the chance while in town and it was so worth the wait! Some of the best oysters I’ve ever had, and the seafood au gratin was incredible. We didn’t even make it to the entrées because the appetizers had us completely full. The espresso martini was perfection! We’ll definitely be making time to come back next time we’re in town.

A friend insisted I check out Parrain’s during my visit to Baton Rouge, and spoiler alert—they were absolutely right. So right, in fact, that I went twice! This family-style, barn-inspired restaurant is a true Louisiana gem. Despite the place being packed with families and guests clearly there for a good meal, I was pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. From the moment I sat down, the service was attentive and friendly. I needed a moment to browse the menu, so I started with a bowl of seafood gumbo. It was rich, flavorful, and generously packed with a variety of seafood. The warm bread served alongside was the perfect touch. For my entrée, I chose the seafood pasta paired with a side of coleslaw. The portion size? Very generous! I had dinner plans later that evening, so I had to stop myself from finishing every bite—which meant I had to return the next day. Round two included a taste of their chargrilled oysters, boudin rolls, and the seafood platter, which came with a sweet and creamy sweet potato mash that stole the show. Again, the portions were large, especially for the price. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and family-friendly, and the Southern hospitality shines from the staff to the food. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Baton Rouge, do yourself a favor and dine at Parrain’s. You won’t be disappointed.

Coworker and I came in because the reviews looked decent and the pictures of food looked great. Boy are we glad we did stop in. We got in with no wait even though the parking lot seemed full and it looked busy inside. We started with the crab claw appetizer and then each got a fish dish. The appetizer was absolutely delicious and the sauce was the bomb. The fish was tender, well cooked and the light crust was perfect! Topped it off with some pecan pie and i can only hope that I have to travel through the area again so I can come back!

Great Bisque, But Confusing for First-Timers: The lobster bisque is a must-try! I went on a Sunday and truly enjoyed the food (receipt and pics attached). That said, I’m giving 3 stars because—as you’ll see from my photos—the building had a completely different name, which made it confusing to find. As a visitor, it was hard to tell where to park or even where the entrance was, especially in the unforgiving Baton Rouge heat and humidity. I’d recommend the management consider better signage or entry identifiers to help hungry, curious travelers feel more confident walking in.

We live in Fort Worth, Texas. This restaurant was recommended by a friend who used to live in the area. It didn't disappoint. We loved the food so much we ate here two different times within a week. The service was great. Our servers kept the drinks filled and checked on us several times. The food is delicious and plenty of food for the price. Prices range from $8.99‐25. When back in town, we will definitely be back!

Stopped into Sammy's Grill for lunch and had the Thin fried catfish and white beans ( Substituted the white bean with a side of red beans and rice). It was enough for two people. Delicious food and great service. Another go to spot in Baton Rouge.

We looked up this place to get some crawfish... it did not disappoint! Also the egg rolls were amazing. We had a large group so we were charged 20% gratuity... understand why this happens, but we definitely did not get the service to equal that. Will be back for the food and will be hopeful the service is better.

Onion rings and mozzarella sticks were delicious! Main dishes were subpar unfortunately. Waitstaff were friendly but service was pretty slow.

The service was very quick on a Thursday night, and the food came quickly and was delicious. I got the grilled bayou catfish and it was phenomenal. My boyfriend got the fried catfish and it was good, but a little salty for his taste. The portion sizes were large, which we appreciated. We spent about $70 including the tip, our meals, and a blueberry lemon drop martini (which was also delicious).

Hostesses were uppity acting and very unpleasant with me. I stopped in to pick up gumbo and catfish. However, only catfish was thinly fried catfish, and I don't like it that way. Decided on seafood dressing stuffed bell peppers and gumbo. I've had better gumbo in "New York City". The roux was so dark and thick it was like eating a stew, and there was grit in it from the flour, I assume. The bell peppers barely had any taste to them and were under stuffed for the 34 dollar price tag that was attached to them. They did come with a side salad, bread, and one half of a twice baked baked potato, though. This place is always packed, but I have no idea why.

Underwhelmed… first word that comes to mind. First experience (couple years ago) was good. Tonight was lackluster and so so. I went early and dined in the bar area. The service was not great, they were brining in furniture rearranging chairs and the bartender was in the back a lot. My Sensation salad, included with the meal, was lack luster… fresh, but one cherry tomato, one olive, one peperoncino 🤔 I ordered the “Louisianne”- Black Drum fish / lump crab sautéed in lemon butter. The fish itself, a little crispy was good, but the crab was shredded and DRY. I asked for extra lemon butter and was told that it was real butter on the crab. I understand what lemon butter is, but the dish needed more… It definitely needed something. “Long run for a short slide!” … especially for the price.

I’ve heard many great things about this place so my husband and I were excited to try it. I was underwhelmed. It is very loud and didn’t feel very intimate despite the cozy decor. Our server was nice but didn’t check on us as often as I’d liked. Our food was good but not great considering the price we paid for it. I got the tournedos and my steak and shrimp were overcooked. My husband got the fresh fish in papillote which is their signature dish and he wasn’t impressed. You couldn’t even taste the fish because it was topped with so much stuff. I feel like they missed the point of even serving the fish. Overall, not a horrible experience but definitely not worth the price we paid. We’ve had much better food for way less money. I don’t think we’ll be returning.

We have traveled all through South Louisiana, and this is the best restaurant we’ve eaten yet. Everything came out perfectly. The service was excellent and the black drum with softshell Croft crawfish fried with a cream sauce and lump crab meat was just unbelievable. I must stop every time. I’m in Baton Rouge.

Louisiana Lagniappe has never disappointed. The marinated crab claws that we had as an appetizer were very good. The broccoli and cheddar with crab soup was another one of the tasty soups that Lagniappe’s offers from time to time. Of course, if you have not had their seafood stuffed peppers then you are missing out. There is no skimping on the seafood. Every fish dish is mouth watering. The service is on point and the ambiance is just right. I always look forward to dinner here. This restaurant is a must try if you haven’t already done so.

Found this restaurant based on TripAdvisor reviews and glad I did! Even without a reservation I was seated right away. The wait staff was attentive without being overly so, the food came out quickly. The portions were great, the food itself was fresh, tasty, and wonderful. I'll definitely be going back my next trip to Baton Rouge

Had a very good experience at Mike Anderson’s. Had the fried crab claws for appetizers then seafood platter with cold slaw which was fine. We also try the steak and it was as perfectly cooked per our choice. The waiter very professional and made regularly stop at ours table to checking on us. We really enjoyed our meal and will be back.

Ordered the seafood platter and the All American burger. Both were delicious. Service was great and quick considering the place was packed. Def recommend!!

This was my first time visiting this location and the service is really what sets this restaurant apart. I came here to have lunch with my parents while I was visiting. Emily and Joshua were friendly, pleasant and informative. I could tell that they were both hard workers that enjoyed their jobs, which is hard to find in the restaurant industry. I’m glad that I had the opportunity to visit.

Great service, good food concepts. Fire oysters were money! Bacon wrapped shrimp, cole slaw and mac & cheese was money! The Guitreau was lacking some seasoning. The seafood gumbo was lacking some seasoning.

Stopped by Andersons to try the food looks delicious right ? WRONG! the only thing edible on this plate was the fish fillet notice how I said edible because it wasn’t good it was flavorless and overcooked the stuffed bell pepper’s rice was mushy and tasted disgusting everything “stuffed “ on my plate (the crab mushroom shrimp oyster ) all had the same disgusting stuffing that I couldn’t take more than one bite of each , the shrimp was so nasty I had to force myself to finish the one bite I took of it the seafood chowder or whatever it was tasted like throw up I couldn’t even finish the one bite I took the only think I could eat was the baked potato on the side . Considering I only took small bites out of each item to taste I politely asked the manager was their anyway to send it back and get something different or just take it off the ticket to which he told us that we couldn’t we had to pay for food we couldn’t eat “you should be careful ab what you order “ he said.. for your menus to come with a warning is a huge red flag 🚩if you have to put a desclaimer on your menu that you probably might not like your food so be careful with what you order they know their food is trash I should HAVE KNOWN the food was going to be trash ! And had the nerve to offer a Togo plate i had to laugh in his face I wouldn’t even waste my time packing that up and taking it home knowing it would meet the trash a soon as I walked through the door terrible food terrible manager very nice waitress 0/10 would NOT recommend

The restaurant was very nice and I love the atmosphere. It was nice watching the fishes in the aquarium. I ordered the broiled seafood platter, and the only thing I enjoyed was the shrimp supreme, and the black drum fillet was ok. I ordered my husband, the same platter and he really enjoyed it.

There was a 30min wait when we arrived but they have a full service section by the bar that is a first come first serve and there was a table open there so we took it. Ally was our server and she was GREAT! It was our first time there and she took the time to answer our questions and explain the items. The food was really good. We enjoyed everything.

Tony's runs like a well oiled machine, and employs a huge staff of friendly and courteous people. They have been in business for years in the same location under the direction of the same family. The product has retained the same quality through the years, which in Baton Rouge sets them apart from many others who are no longer around. I really enjoy the cafeteria style lunches that are served daily, as well as the boiled shrimp and crawfish when in season. Whether you are grabbing goodies to go or need large portions for events Tony's is your one stop shop for seafood. Stop in if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed.

Found this spot via Google maps on my way back to the airport. Glad I did. There was a line of locals out the door and well worth the wait. Food was delicious. I got the three meat plate. There is no seating because it is a true market with a to go hot counter. We simply walked across the street to Canes ordered two sweet teas and sat in a booth. Absolutely delicious!

My first time visiting and the next time I'm in BR, I definitely will go back! There's boiled food on one side and hot food on the other. Those crab boudin balls are delicious! I got boiled shrimp, turkey necks and corn and all was good! I also got a hot plate with fried fish and the fish was good, but we didn't eat the sides.

I recently visited Tony's Seafood on April 26, 2025, and I was appalled by the experience. I discovered a pest in my food, which was not only shocking but also deeply unsettling. As a well-regarded establishment in Baton Rouge, I expected far better in terms of cleanliness and food safety. Your customers deserve to eat at a restaurant that prioritizes their health and well-being, yet my experience raises serious concerns about the standards maintained behind closed doors. After reaching out to their HR department, I did not receive a response, which only amplifies my concerns. I urge potential diners to be cautious. I will also be reporting this incident to the Better Business Bureau to ensure that others are aware of the serious health risks associated with dining here. I hope the management takes swift action to address this unacceptable situation.

Before I visited Tony’s, I had never had a seafood boil before and boy am I glad I saved my first boil for this place. I am obsessed, I stay awake at night thinking about how delicious their food is and their amazing waitstaff! I have been here twice now and I can guarantee you every time I am nearby I will be stopping in for food. The shrimp are absolutely perfect!!

Very commercial. Food was okay, nothing to brag about. No wait for weatinf, half of the restaurant was empty. Staff was attentive. Most of the menu is fried and not a great representation of Louisiana cuisine. Overall, edible and easy if you just want a quick bite but nothing incredible.

The charbroiled oysters were delicious. And look how juicy this fish is! Everything was delicious and made for a great stop on our travels. Can't wait to return.

This was our first time eating at Acme in about 5 years. We are celebrating our 15 anniversary. It is one of the best seafood places I like. The prices are affordable. Great menu for restaurant week. Boudin egg rolls did not disappoint, 9/10. Redfish seasoned well, 10/10 yellow rice and veggies under seasoned 5/10. Service was great, always a good family friendly atmosphere. I can’t wait to visit again!

Acme was really great when they first came to town, however in my opinion there food has really degraded over the years and it's a shame. If you're in a pinch and have to have seafood, I would say stop in but if you're not in a pinch there are much better Seafood Restaurants on Perkins.

Decided to take my mother here for an evening lunch . My mother ordered a half dozen of charbroiled oysters , she said they were delicious. I ordered a sweet tea & a side order of jambalaya . She served me a water instead . My mother had got her oysters not 5 mins after they were ordered . Where as I had to wait roughly 15 mins for a small side of jambalaya. Then I didn’t recieve it until after I asked her how much longer would the wait be . My waitress seemed to have been distracted which was odd because they restaurant seemingly wasn’t busy .

This Cajun seafood restaurant was a bit of a letdown. The atmosphere was cozy, but the food was just okay. The seafood was fresh, but the flavors were lacking. The Butterfly Shrimp was a bit too mushy…possibly over cooked, and the Catfish Platter was so so. The service was friendly, but a bit slow. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I wouldn't rush back. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

we got there on a friday evening/night and got seated right away. they were soooooo busy so we expected a wait. our server was so nice. we did wait a bit for the appetizers maybe 35 min which was no problem but the entrees took about an 1hour to finally get to us. we ended up packing the food home because the wait was long but we were kind of full off the oysters and waiting anyways. it wasn’t a big deal considering how busy they were but i would definitely recommend not going on an empty stomach because that’s what i did, from not eating all day at work to waiting a long time, i was hangry but everyone has their days! business is booming for them and that’s wonderful but i wish next time, we get a little more attention than this last visit…

Catfish platter, fried shrimp poboys, steak bites, and crawfish etoufee is straight 🔥. Restaurant is always packed so expect a wait. Staff is friendly and courteous. Bread pudding is quite delicious to finish off your meal with as well. Check them out if you're on Bluebonnet.

Love their chargrilled oysters and boudin balls. Sat at the oysters bar and had great friendly service. Plenty of TVs in the bar area to catch the games.

The food was very good cajun style meal. The service was good and it was a pretty nice atmosphere with a back patio on the river. The Roux sauce is also incredible. The food is pricey though.

Well, well, well… this was definitely a “long run for a short slide”! We started off well, with a wonderful server, fresh small Caesar salad and nice glass of wine. Who knew that would be the best part of the experience. The restaurant is very loud… like eating in a warehouse. I must say that I was really looking forward to a specialty that featured Blackened red fish, shrimp and pasta with a white wine Lobster sauce. What I received was pasta swimming in butter sauce with a small piece of fish, three shrimp and a piece of “Olive Garden” bread. The fish was overcooked, bland and tough. The shrimp was medium sized, but overcooked with an off taste. The cream sauce was heavy with no Lobster flavor whatsoever. After tasting the shrimp, I could not finish my meal. And what the hell is a convenience charge of 3%.

Thanks to Morgan (our server) who put in each food item at just the right time, so the food came out in courses and not all at once! I even had a chance to meet y’all’s outdoor pet while out on the deck, looking at the lake!!! Now off to New Orleans…

The food was good. Service was a little slow. Especially for a half full restaurant. They were selling their all you can eat shrimp dinner on Wednesdays. We had delicious meals with fresh fish and great flavors.

I really enjoyed the cole slaw and grilled fish and eggplant, topped with lump crab and shrimp.

Since moving to New Orleans we had not eaten at Drusilla Seafood Restaurant in several years. This is unfortunately as we had forgotten how good it was. We really like the atmosphere and the decor is nice with lots of seating and several private dining rooms. The food is local specialties and is very good. We love the complementary hush puppies and the fish dishes are great. The service is also excellent, our server was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely return soon.

Honestly there are plenty reviews of this place who has been around here in Baton Rouge for decades, in 2025, I can vouch that it is still a great place to get grilled fish and endless hush puppies. I also recommend Bobby the waiter.

Modest Casual dress (nice modest shorts/jeans) to formal attire acceptable. 3 diff rooms avail for corporate events, birthday parties, showers, holiday dinner parties, etc. Always the cleanest ladies room with quality supplies. Parking depends on peak time vs off-peak time and other businesses’ hours as parking lot is shared. Sometimes handicapped parking is full during peak lunch/dinner times.

Food was absolutely amazing!!! Our waiter Bobby was the best waiter I have ever had. I can't say enough great things about this place and we are already planning another trip just to eat here again.

Being from Iowa, I’m always eager to try good seafood whenever I get the chance. I ordered the Redfish Orleans, and it was absolutely delicious—both the fish and shrimp were incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. As a side, the sweet potato crème brûlée felt like indulging in dessert; it was rich, comforting, and beautifully done. The only letdown was the gumbo. The rice was undercooked and watery, with just a few shrimp floating in the mix, which was disappointing. That said, the overall meal was very enjoyable and well worth it.

Back in Louisiana and decided to try a new oyster spot. The place was beautiful and inviting atmosphere. The Oysters Bienville was tasty & nicely coated with four toppings. The cup of seafood gumbo was delicious and I wished I would’ve gotten a bowl. Service was wonderful too, I will definitely will be back.

Never really was a fan of oysters but these won me over! I did half char grilled and the other half Orleans, both amazing! Didn’t even need lemons. not too cheesy & not too oily. Perfect! The sauce on the Royal Redfish really made the dish. Overall wonderful experience, will be back soon!

The service was spectacular! We came in with a party of 30 and they seated us promptly after setting up a private space for us! I was so surprised at how quickly the food came out, and everything was paced perfectly! Apps came out within 10 minutes, followed by entrees a mere 20 minutes later! We had two servers who were obviously very experienced! The teamwork between the entire staff was amazing to see! Oh, and the food was mouth water-ingly delicious too! I cant speak highly enough of the experience I had last night! Thank you to the manager for checking on me!!

Atmosphere was mid they sat us next to a party table that was loud as hell, kids jumping around shaking our table. I was charged for someone else’s food & was told the manager fixed the difference but I’m still waiting to see if my money comes back on my card. Overall food was great !

Great place to eat. I think our table was too small for all the food we ordered lol This was another referral and it was everything I was told. The food was so good. The restaurant doesn’t look that big but there are other sections inside. I had a ribeye, mother had the Cajun snapper, sis had pasta and my neecy had the seafood potato as our main course. Delicious Deliciousness. We plan to go back again and I can’t wait.

First time for dinner today! We had 5 lbs of crawfish with a few potatoes and corn. We also had the Louisiana toast(not pictured) that was very flavorful and came out hot so really good! Also the sweet tea is 👌🏻 We had us two adults and our 4 kids, they do charge gratuity for 6 or more whether or not they are kiddos. The gratuity was not a big deal for us but just wanted to let others know that might have larger families. Overall the service was great, it’s not loud, just the right amount of sound not overwhelming.

Went a couple months ago and had the best time! Our server Aundria was amazing!! Food was delicious and the service was 10/10 as usual! I got the boiled shrimp special, the side loaded potatoes and an espresso martini.

Tried the Redfish Ryn and was not disappointed. Nicely flavored with a good heap of crab meat on the top with a nice creamy sauce made every bite enjoyable! Loved the gumbo fries. It took fries to the next level. Definitely worth a try!

Food is delicious but when you are spending $20 plus per plate, you shouldn't have your food served on cracked dishes. We had a party of 10 and every one of our entree dishes were cracked/chipped.

From the hostess stand to the waitress Amy, the service was impeccable. We had the two egg breakfast, the two pancakes alone, and the three Benedicts-triple threat. Everything was delicious. It was so much food we couldn’t quite finish, and we shared. We had one of each Bloody Mary’s. They put bacon in them which is always my favorite part! Bathrooms were clean and the parking at 9 am on Saturday was easy. When we left at 10 the parking lot was full and there was a wait inside. Good place to stop in and eat. Highly recommend!

Hadn't been to Mason's in years. But back in town for a mini reunion. Food is still good, our server was pleasant and the atmosphere was regular Sunday morning. It gets packed quickly so use the online waitlist if you don't plan to get there within an hour of opening.

Fried mushrooms were great, fried pork chop was good. I was disappointed in there macaroni and cheese see included photo. Very disappointed with my chicken tenders they were over cooked.

Excellent Louisiana/Southern Style Restaurant. The owner’s wife makes a great homemade cheesecake. Would highly recommend.

I ordered the Not Your Ordinary Shrimp & Grits with broccoli and a breadstick for takeout and it was all so good! I could taste the cajun seasoning throughout the shrimp and grits! I enjoyed the broccoli and breadstick too! I highly recommend getting some good dinner from here!

It is rare for me to give five stars for food, service and, atmosphere. This restaurant is one of those rare occasions. Not being a franchise means an excellent dining experience! This was such an amazing experience. The food was certainly worth the money. They don’t sacrifice flavor or serving size like most high end restaurants. The service was superb. I had Lindsay as a server. She is extremely knowledgeable about menu items and brings a bring bubby personality with it.

Sham was very courteous, professional and attentive... The atmosphere was very pleasant.. The rack of lamb was absolutely delicious...The presentation was great.... My son and myself were celebrating Father's Day with a special friend and he is a foodie critic...With every bite taken he was saying, "OH my God "!!!! This is delicious.... We all enjoyed our dinner and the great service!!!! Thanks, Sham!!!!!

It was truly a great date night. We don’t come often, but we do come enough and I appreciate the attentiveness of the staff whenever we come in. My partner and I had dinner and we had a great waiter. Sham was pretty cool, engaging and ensured that we had smooth transitions. He answered questions with ease and we appreciated our time with him. My only challenge was what appeared to be an unfortunate enforcing of rules with some customers and not others. If hats aren’t allowed in the dining area, that should be for all guest. Not just the ones with locs.

Sham was a great sever who did a great job explaining the menu for our first time dining here. We were celebrating our anniversary. Sullivan’s does a great job of celebrating you. Loved the Banana Foster Bread pudding and the Knockout. Thanks Christian!

A perfect blend of coastal elegance and Southern hospitality, Beausoleil delivers fresh seafood, premium ingredients, and vibrant Gulf Coast flavors. I highly recommend the brown butter drum—I felt adventurous and swapped the garlic mashed potatoes for the dirty rice risotto, and it was absolutely worth it. Don’t skip the New Orleans-style charbroiled oysters—they’re a must-have during happy hour.

The ambiance here is sleek, sophisticated, and low-key—perfect for a more intimate dining experience. We visited on a Saturday and were surprised at how quiet it was, which worked in our favor since we reserved a private dining area for a retirement party. The setup was perfect, and the staff and our server were incredibly attentive, helpful, and thoughtful throughout the evening. For drinks, we ordered a variety which included espresso martini, lemon drop martini, champagne margarita (table favorite) and blackberry bourbon lemonade. I don’t think you can go wrong on any of the drinks offered. For appetizers, we tried the raw oysters, blue crab claws, tuna tataki, and brussels sprouts. The standouts were definitely the tuna and brussels sprouts—both were outstanding! Even my daughter, who usually avoids raw fish, went back for seconds on the tuna. For entrees, we ordered the brown butter drum, crawfish Mac & cheese, and the tenderloin. The drum was okay—nothing particularly memorable. The crawfish Mac & cheese was amazing-creamy and cheesey! The portion is very generous and can be shared. Unfortunately, my fiancé had to send his tenderloin back as it was overcooked, which was a bit disappointing. While the service and starters were excellent, I found the entrees a bit underwhelming for the price. That said, I would consider coming back just for the tuna, crawfish Mac & cheese, and brussels sprouts, and perhaps to try a different main course.

Business dinner with a colleague seated outside during excellent weather, great atmosphere. Service was ok, not bad but nothing exceptional for a higher end restaurant as the waiter seemed a bit young and inexperienced. I deducted two stars for the food because it was not exceptional, the fried oysters were overly salty and there were bits of oyster shells fried into the cornbread that made me almost chipped my tooth. If it was just one random piece I would not have minded but there were multiple pieces of shell. The beet and arugula salad was good, topped with grilled shrimp. The tiramisu was presented well but the taste left much to be desired as it tasted more like cheesecake.

We had a terrible experience here for dinner! First of all, there were several fruit flies all around the bar and dining area, no matter what section you were in. We ordered the seafood tower and chargrilled oysters and were very disappointed. The seafood tower was extremely underwhelming and not worth the $165 price. The chargrilled oysters were severely overcooked and dry as a bone. You can see in the photo only one oyster had any juice and the rest were DRY and tiny. We came because it was highly recommended but left hungry and disappointed. Only redeeming quality was that our waiter and bartender was great.

I took my wife here for dinner last week. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts were hard and sort of dry. My wife had the Hickory Salmon, she actually like the salmon, but the side was bland. I ordered the Crawfish Mac & Cheese (NEVER AGAIN). I was giving Velveeta shells and cheese w/o any flavor! The cheese was watery and the taste was BLAND! I also ordered the Provencal Chicken, it was just blah....The service was exceptional, but they don't cook!

I came to here on a Sunday after church for brunch. I can honestly say I’ve never had food so bad in my life. I ordered gumbo, it came out cold and the rice was so gummy they literally just put a gummy ball in the bowl. I also ordered a Cesar salad and it had wilted pink lettuce in it. The waitress brought the manager to the table and I told him to just look at the food. I don’t even understand how they even thought the food was presentable. The service was okay…? The team seemed extremely confused and out of it. They were not rude but could use more coaching on professionalism. Overall, I think this restaurant is focusing more on appearance and ambience rather than food.

Jasmines On the Bayou was ok. The chicken Alfred was seasoned excellent.. The tarter sauce was amazing. The customer service was great as well. The babyback ribs were good as well. We would eat here again.

Our waitress Kaylee was super sweet and the food was served hot and was pretty tasty. Definitely recommend the voodoo egg rolls and the seafood alfredo had a great portion of shrimp and crawfish and crab. We also ordered the Gulf Shrimp which were underwhelming and basic (not really seasoned) but still good. We will likely go back to try other dishes in the future. We also loved the sweet potato casserole which was very sweet and almost a dessert to a wonderful meal.

This is a great little date night or quiet dinner experience. I’d had food from here at a catered event, but hadn’t been there in person until this visit. Impressive. Loved the quaint bayou decor. The menu has a decent choice of selections but still small enough to do all the choices extremely well. We had the Catfish Mornay, and the Roast plate. Loved it. Will be back because we want to try some of the other enticing offerings.

First time and it’s now our favorite restaurant. Had the pot roast and mashed and hubby had the hamburger steak with onions and gravy and mashed. We also had the voodoo roll appetizer which was so good. We will definitely be back. Great service and exceptional food.

I paid 25.95 for a seafood "Platter" and came up short that should've been called a seafood plate with those baby shrimp and few strips of fish, load of fries and Oysters. I get way more for my money at Parrains, Chimes, or Mike Andersons. The food was ok but the portion was a rip off. Below is what was on the "Platter" minus 1 shrimp I had eaten

'BUGS IN MY FOOD' The lady at the Pickup Window has poor customer service. She was cordial & bubbly with a white guy before me(I'm black) but when I approached, she glanced at me, pretended to do something else & asked if she can help me. I said "I was there to Pickup an online order". She grabbed my order from a side shelf, held it in the air & instead of handing it to me, she sat it on the counter. She barely lifted her head to acknowledge me or my extended hand. That interaction aside, the steamed broccoli had moths & caterpillars, which tells me they never washed them or did a very poor job. They gave me 7 cuts of broccoli with at least two half inch caterpillars per cut. Two of the cuts had one moth each. I had already eaten half the plate before I realized.

Delicious Food & Friendly Vibes at Phil’s Oyster Bar We had a fantastic dining experience at Phil’s Oyster Bar & Seafood Restaurant! The raw and charbroiled oysters were absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The catfish strips were fantastic as well—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. And whatever you do, don’t skip the white chocolate brownie for dessert—it’s the perfect sweet ending! The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and our server Lauren made it even better. She clearly enjoys her job—she was positive, friendly, and her smile was contagious. Phil’s is a must-visit for seafood lovers looking for great food and even better service!

Great visit to Phil's Oyster Bar. It was a football game weekend, so it was crowded. The entire staff was awesome! We were seated at our table with a minimal wait time. The food was delicious! We had gumbo, catfish strips, and an oyster po-boy. For drinks are party had Bloody Marys. Super yummy Bloody Mary's! Great stop for some great food in Baton Rouge!

After seeing that this restaurant was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, I was extremely intrigued. I recommend coming early, as this place is very busy and has limited seating. There was a 1 hour and 30 minute estimated wait when we arrived, but we were able to find bar seating. The charbroiled oysters were really good — a solid appetizer choice. The Fish Chalmette was recommended by two bar tenders, so I decided to try it. Honestly, the fish was not seasoned enough for my liking. I wish it had more flavor. Other than, it paired nicely with the spoonbread and cream sauce. This place is worth a try for sure.

I'm not going to lie, I was hoping for more, but this was mid.at best. The taste of the food was great. The crawfish cheesecake superb even. The gumbo was ok. The half and half poboy was just very sad. We opted for the half meatball half oyster poboy. Each half was about 4". The meatball was literally just a single meatball, cut in half, red sauce on the side. The oyster half had 4 oysters on it. Again everything tastes fine, but $70 for an appetizer, two beers, a poboy and cup of gumbo is just not my, well, cup of gumbo. For the money I'd go.yo City Cafe and at least leave full.

Phil’s is a gem 💎 I enjoyed the entire dining experience from the hostess opening the door on entry to spectacular food and service and the family oriented atmosphere. The manager even came to table to ensure we were having a pleasant time. If Gus is your waiter, you will be treated like royalty. He was polite, kind, and so friendly. He anticipated our needs and accommodated us in a timely manner. Okay, now for the food. I spent $125.86 but it was worth every penny‼️ Starters: 1. Crawfish cheesecake 10/10 - $14.99 - creaminess you get from a typical cheesecake with the flavors of crawfish etouffee and chunks of crawfish with every bite. The crust provides a great balance between the softness of the cake. 2. New Orleans BBQ Shrimp 10/10 - $15.99 - NOLA spice meets savory shrimp… they give you french bread to eat with the shrimp, you have to dip the bread in the sauce it’s Yummy 😋 3. Half-dozen Charbroiled Oysters 10/10 - $14.99 - one word… heavenly… oysters cooked to perfection with the original garlic butter sauce, It made us dance in our seats 😂 Entrees: 1. I had a small sensation salad $3.99 and a cup of corn and crab bisque $6.99. Both 10/10 Simple, yet flavorful… salad was lite and fresh 2. Kids Fish $8.99 comes with 3pc fish and fries, cute kids drink, coloring page and crayons. My 5-year-old gave it 10/10! And he’s very picky and spice-averse. Everything was seasoned well and perfect kids portion 3. Daily Lunch Special - 10/10 - $15.99 Today was Chicken-fried chicken, mashed potatoes, white gravy and corn. The chicken was tender, nice crunch from the breading, simple mashed potatoes and corn, tasted like home. 4. Seafood Lillian - 9/10 - $26.99 Shrimp and crabmeat seasoned well over fettuccine Alfredo… it was delicious but needed a little more Parmesan cheese Dessert: Phil's Homemade Bread Pudding - 8/10 - $8.99 A blend of bread, raisins, and a whiskey sauce. It was good, but I’m not a bread pudding fan. My family enjoyed it. Thank you Phil’s!!

I heard Phil's was featured on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives which is a big deal for a restaurant. I recently had a chance to try it out and was a little disappointed. I found the food to just be ok. The gumbo was decent as far as taste goes, plenty of ingredients, and a reasonably sized portion. The etoufee was about even on taste with the gumbo, with a less reasonably sized portion. My friends that were with me agreed that there dishes were also good but definitely not great. Hope things get better, or the spotlight is going to start dimming.

Phil's is B.R. best kept secret. I must honestly say that I'm picky ( Louisiana native). 1st Connor, our waiter, was nice and helpful with food options, as I had endless questions about things. We were indecisive, so we decided a lot of things. 1. Marinated crab claws-8.7/10 2. Charbroiled oysters garlic butter 9/10 3. Seafood gumbo 9.2/10 4. Crawfish cheesecake 10/10 5. Chalmette fish special 10/10 ....the sensation salad was great & came with the special

The service provided was horrible. Once seated, we sat about 10 minutes before she took our drink order. Then, I had to flag her down to let her know we were ready to order entrees. She never came back to check on us throughout anything. The restaurant wasn't busy she had another table that left while we were there, so I only saw her serving one other table. The only thing I can say was good were the boudin balls. Also ordered the spinach dip wouldn't recommend, it comes with potato chips not tortilla chips, & the appearance of that was not appealing. The other food wasn't worth the time or the drive there. I ordered two appetizers as an entree, she bout 1 out way before the other I sent it back because it looked thrown together but a manager comes out to tell me they should look like that, I still requested fresh fries & a remake. Upon getting the remake, I was still disappointed bc they tasted old. I bite in the fries & was hard & I could see where the cheese looked as if it was put back in the oven. The wings weren't any better. I'm not sure if they were baked or fried, but I could look at them & see they had been re-cooked. At this point, I was just ready for the ticket because nothing about this experience was pleasing. Would I recommend NO, NO, NO.

Talk about bad service and very overpriced food. Waited for over an hour for 7 sandwiches. One refill on drinks the whole time. Then, get an additional tip gratuity for really bad service. Well, that just topped off the end of it. Never again! Bathrooms are disgusting. I don't like doing this kind of review, but people work way too hard for their money, and this was a total waste.

Worst service ever! I went in to placed a to-go order for a Classic Club with sweet potato fries and coke. After standing at the bar for over 35 minutes another server had to ask if I needed any help. I reached her my receipt and ask if she could check on my order. She repeated it back to me and I corrected her and said that I asked for the classic club and not the chicken club. I waited another 15 minutes just for her to give me the wrong order, the chicken club. I also asked to swap out the coke for a bottle water because it tasted bad and because the lid didn’t fit the cup. The server said that they didn’t have bottled water and that she could give me another lid but it’ll fit the same and that they were working on getting lids that fit. After waiting almost an hour for an order that I placed twice just to get the wrong order I asked for a full refund. The manager went on to tell me that I could get the classic club but they would have to make it on bun because they were out of the bread that’s used to make it. I said no because placing it on a bun won’t make it a club sandwich. Instead of the server who initially took my order tell me this at first it could’ve saved the frustration. I literally waited 50 minutes for something that should’ve taken under 20 minutes to prepare. But yet they try to force something on me that I didn’t want. While waiting on my refund, I looked over in the kitchen and NONE of the cooks wore hair restraints while one prepared food with just one glove. I waited a week after fasting to have something good. That was suppose to have been my treat. I drove over 30 minutes away to have that but was WAY disappointed. I was redund for the food but I didn’t get the $3 tip back that I left the server. He didn’t deserve it because he only took my order and never checked on it. Even after seeing me in the same spot for almost an hour. About 25 minutes after me waiting for my food, another server reached me food that wasn’t mine. Instead of finding out who ordered it she placed it on top of an ice cooler where it stayed up until the time that I left. #PhotoAttached thanks for trying to make it right but I’m never coming back.

I usually love Our Mom's onion jam burger specifically. I did not see it on the menu and was told it was recently taken off. I decided to get the Patty Crockett, which also has caramelized onions. I placed a to go order on the phone and picked up my food. When I got home, I saw that there were burnt bits all over the non-carmelized onions on there. Definitely disappointing and different from my past experiences here.

Well what can I say about Our Mom's? Let me say the waitress we had was the definition of horrible. Never smiled, never laughed, hardly checked up on us but very quick to sit and joke with her friends that came in and sat in her section. This really set the tone for the lunch. Food is had the salad dont remember the name but the honey dressing was pretty decent not what I expected from a honey vinaigrette. My wife had the burger and loaded fries or whatever they call them there. Any they were as they say now-a-days.... Mid! Nothing special about this place.

What a fantastic experience! My visit to Our Mom's Restaurant and Bar in Baton Rouge was made absolutely perfect by our server, Jordan. She was an absolute star! From the moment we sat down, she was so welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely went the extra mile to make our evening special. She gave us some great recommendations, and her service was just wonderful in attentiveness and hospitality. While the food was delicious and exactly what we were craving, Jordan's incredible service was the true highlight of our night. I can't recommend this place enough, and if you're looking for top-notch service with a smile, be sure to ask for Jordan!

Pretty good burgers. Good deals on beer and drinks also one of the very few places i found that have Yuengling on tap so pretty cool spot.

Very friendly staff, we drove in from San Antonio and got there 1/2 hour before close. We told them we could take the food to go, and they said we would do no such thing. The grilled oysters were delicious, and the steak and fries were seasoned well and cooked right. The alligator tail was good also . The Crab cake was the only thing, it wasn't bad but it wasn't great. Highly recommended.

I’m so happy Drago’s relocated to Perkins Rowe—it’s such a treat to be able to walk over on a Friday night! I’ve been going to Drago’s for years, first in Metairie and then downtown at the Hilton Riverside, and this location absolutely holds up. Of course, you have to start with the oysters—nobody does them better. I wasn’t in the mood for anything fancy this time, so I went with a classic: the red beans. They were pretty darn good. Drinks were excellent, and the staff—both waiters and waitresses—were on top of their game. Honestly, some of the best service I’ve had in Baton Rouge. True professionals who made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. The only downside for me was the atmosphere. The grey and white walls felt a bit bland, though I did appreciate the Louisiana paintings, which fit the vibe much better. It also seemed surprisingly quiet for a Friday night at 7pm, and the place even felt overstaffed. Prices are on the higher side, but you really do get what you pay for here. In summary: the food and staff were amazing, the atmosphere was just okay. Still, Drago’s continues to be a Louisiana classic and a spot.

It’s been a few years since I’ve been to Drago’s in Baton Rouge. I used to go when I lived in Gonzales. They by far have the best chargrilled oysters of any restaurant. I highly recommend them. The service is always great and the atmosphere is great! When I was younger my parents always took us to the one in New Orleans and I have the best memories of eating the chargrilled oysters! 🦪

This place was outstanding in every way. My daughter was having a 16th birthday dinner and wanted to have it at Perkins Rowe. It was 16-18 girls. So we visited every restaurant, and most of them, while nice, seemed very detached. One place, the cute taco place in the back, wanted to charge us $25 for bringing our own cake in! Crazy talk! But as soon as we walked into Drago's, we felt welcomed and like they actually wanted our business. Scott, the GM, went above and beyond to accommodate us. On the day of the dinner, the servers really had their stuff together and were all smiles. Just the sweetest people. We had Cat and Emory, and we loved them both. The food was delicious and came out quickly. I really can't say enough good things about the whole experienc,e except thank you for making my girl's day special!

We’ve been to Drago’s twice since they’ve relocated to Perkins Rowe, and our experiences with the service and food have been quite hit or miss. Before, the oysters were always a decent size and came out CLEAN, but these past couple of times they have not. I encountered tiny bits of shell in some bites, and they served us chargrilled oysters that were so tiny and shriveled up that the meat was just the size of a dime- literally- which was very frustrating. Why are y’all serving that or not at least giving an extra oyster for compensation? The bar has always been our favorite place to dine, but it’s only a fraction of the size at their new spot. And the temperature in the restaurant is a lot warmer than we remember. We ALWAYS needed a jacket when we dined on Constitution Ave., now it’s warmer and slightly humid. We had exceptional service with lackluster food our first time back, but our second time was quite the opposite. The food was actually amazing and tasted spot on with the steak being cooked perfectly to temp, but the service was lacking. We were only brought one sharing plate and they forgot to bring the other after we asked for it, and we waited on water refills a good bit every time. It seems like the team isn’t being held to the same standard as before, but hopefully it gets better again as they get used to the new location. But please have better quality control on the oysters. The cleanliness and the way they were never overcooked was always what set Drago’s apart from other restaurants for us, now we can’t say the same.

We had a great time visiting Dragos. The food was good. But the service was phenomenal! We had Madison as our server and she was very attentive to our needs. And very knowledgeable about the menu. Thanks Madison! We will definitely return because of the good service she gave us!

Charbroiled oysters - best ever! Love love love oysters! Alligator tacos with sauce were so so delicious. Crème Brûlée might have been the best I’ve ever had. All of the staff were super friendly and I so appreciated all they did & said to make me feel welcome! I ordered the other two things for dinner tomorrow. I have no doubt they will be delicious……do not hesitate to eat here ;)
