Ordered delivery from here. I wanted to try them because they were highly recommended. I didnt get one of the main cookies I ordered to try and none of the items was warm to say the least. Im a little disappointed.

So I waited for maybe 10 to 14 mins for some oatmeal. Location didn't have a working bathroom as well so besides that the product is awesome just have to make sure you come when they have enough of everything made. 2.99 a cookie isn't worth everyday but once in a while for sure

These cookies are the best in BATON ROUGE!! I love that they are open so late and all the staff were sooo nice. I loved being helped by Norah she was so sweet and helpful with letting me know the ingredients of the cookies so I could make the best choice. I will be back and everyone should come here.

We ordered from Ambrosia for a work baby shower. There was a miscommunication in reference to the date that I needed the items (which could possibly have been on my end), and when I got there, my order was not ready. I needed enough to feed approximately 60 people in an hour. Lynette, Chi, Josh, and Caleb bent over backward to get me sugar-free items, cake, cake squares, and whatever I needed to make the shower a success. Their attitudes were upbeat and positive, and their goal was truly to serve the customer any way possible. This is a rare quality to find in the service industry nowadays. I truly appreciate the effort they took to make the shower a huge success and will recommend them to everyone!!!!

Ambrosia Bakery and their team are simply amazing! In preparation for my son’s birthday—and running short on time—they came through and fulfilled my order perfectly. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. As someone who doesn’t know much about cakes, I really appreciated how they guided me in the right direction to make the celebration special. I am saddened to say that I will have to end my yearly traditions of getting a fresh strawberry cake from Ambrosia for each birthday, Mother’s Day, and other occasions. On Saturday May 3 @ 3:25 p.m, I purchased what should have been a fresh strawberry cake for my mom and twin brother’s 68th birthday only to find out that it WAS NOT SO FRESH. Sunday was the birthday gathering and when my mom ate a piece of her cake , she realized that the strawberries were SPOILED /SOURED. Due to Ambrosia’s closure on Sundays and State testing on Monday which I called during the break time (phones not allowed during testing) and could only connect to their voicemail . After leaving some messages, I was able to speak with someone Tuesday and I was told that I had to bring the cake in the next day as proof. That seemed easy but I tried to explain that due to State testing ( my students and my children , not to mention this two day storm that is expected to cause major flooding), I would not be able to go and get the cake from my Mom’s house (who doesn’t live near me) and bring it in before their closing time. Her response suggested that she was not interested in the fact that I have been buying, posting, and bragging about their cakes for more than seven years and never had an issue until this incident, which left me wasting $57.48 for a cake that could cause someone to be sick.

Great first time coming here after hearing about this bakery for years and years. Tons to choose from. Cake slices, cake squares, cheese cake bites, donuts, apple fritters, cookies, brownies, turtles, gluten free options, etc etc. Staff were all VERY patient and kind. We came in one hour before closing and were not rushed whatsoever. Can’t believe I visit here sooner after living in Baton Rouge for 20 years!

Ambrosia's signature strawberry cake is to-die-for!! Our family grabs one to celebrate every special occasion. The staff are incredibly helpful and courteous. I recommend this bakery to everyone I know. Try them out! You won't be disappointed.

Friendly staff but unlike the Juban location, there are no prices posted anywhere. Not near the products. Not on any signage. So you have to ask the staff one product at a time what it each cookie or brownie costs. Also if you want a custom cookie cake, the best decorator in the state works at the Juban location. It's worth the drive if you simply look up cookie cakes done by Scott at the Juban location. I'd only stop at this one again if buying just one or two small kids cookies. Staff at least is nice and courteous.

My boyfriend is allergic to tree nuts and had an allergic reaction to your cookies. Googled it when I got home and come to find out all y'all's products "may contain traces of tree nuts, etc ". But there was no sign in the store to tell me so. Never had this problem at other sweets places.

Worst place ever upstairs. It’s not the cookies Cookies are great but there pre made. This is supposed to be a on time place where cookies for people to enjoy and I guess fun to work at. Not the one upstairs in the mall location. They lie about employment and also very very disrespectful the hiring manager cares about her self doesn’t show up for her store on time. Also has been very very disrespectful and also has lied. I wonder if the company knows about this. What makes it worst she doesn’t handle her responsibilities at all right as a hiring manager. She also treats the customers very disrespectful. She only cares about make her self look good.

Upstairs location: I waited several minutes in line behind a customer and, as soon as it was my turn, the cashier left the register and moved down the display case to take orders from people that just walked up. She even made eye contact with me, saw me standing at the register, and continued ignoring me. Thankfully, a very polite woman came from the back and asked what I would like. She said "I kept telling them you were next." That cashier needs to take customer service lessons from the woman who helped me. I hope my tip went to the better employee. To the cashier: perhaps your jar wouldn't have been empty before me if you knew how to provide customer service.

The guy downstairs who decorated cakes is a fantastic artist! I dont mind paying extra for him to icing a cake to look exactly like my kids fave characters! Great job! U guys are awesome!!

What are the king cake off-line? It came a day late. Looks like the box have been thrown around like a football cake was all in pieces. Was hoping it would still taste good it was very dry. Hardly any flavor was supposed to be strawberry and cream cheese couldn’t really even taste that Tasted like it had been in the freezer for a month. Do not order a cheesecake from Gambinos.

I am heavily disappointed in Gambino’s Bakery. My Grandmother who has been a loyal customer for many years, insisted on having Gambino’s provide the cake for her 80th Birthday party. This was a huge milestone for her and we were excited for them to provide the cake for her Tiffany and Co themed party. We placed an order in person at Gambino’s and paid in full up front. A few days prior to our event I called to confirm the details and date and time of delivery. When the day arrived, unbeknownst to us, there was a random driver sent to deliver our cake. He arrived earlier than the confirmed timeframe and complained and gripped about it. He had the cake in his trunk. The cake has no covering no protection or anything. The cake also had been damaged from the drive. In addition to that, his trunk had icing and debris all over the back of the vehicle. We were not provided with boxes, nor did the cake have any reinforcement for travel back home. The caterers at our event tried helping us to transport the cake into a random box that we found but it was a disaster. The whole cake fell apart and most of it had to be discarded. We were highly upset but willing to discuss the matter. In the end we were only offered a $100 off the cake price that we paid over $1000 for. We countered the offer and filed a complaint and have heard NOTHING since. As a former restaurant owner, I would never treat my customers (especially a loyal one) in the manner we were treated. This experience definitely changed our perspective and future referrals about Gambino’s.

Listen, I don’t even know where to start, this cake was amazing! My mom loved the way it was decorated. Everyone was going crazy over the frosting, the fact that it wasn’t too sweet but just sweet enough was definitely a hit with us all. Thank you so much for making my mom’s 75th birthday a great day! We will be back soon! P.S. Your employees were amazing from the time I ordered over the phone, and there was no issue when I had to change my original order date. Got another Chocolate Cream Pie for Father’s Day today. If you love Chocolate Pie, Gambino’s has the most delicious pie I have ever eaten. The Chocolate Cream Pie is absolutely fantastic!! It has a rich chocolate flavor that is amazing!!

I had a king cake shipped to my daughter...it ships undecorated to keep it from getting messy. My daughter and sil decorated it and said it was very good. The shipping only took a couple days so it was still fresh tasting when they got it. I would def recommend Gambino's for king cake shipping!

This isn't the Gambino 's of earlier years. At one time at least in New Orleans a Gambino's cake was of high quality . The service was above par. I cannot say that about the BR Gambino based upon my recent experience. The issues began on Saturday when I placed the order. I almost felt as if the clerk was trying to persuade me not to order the cake. Today,I had someone pick up the cake. It was very noticable when I took the cake out of the box that it was lopsided. Yet it was a birthday cake and needed this evening. in the midst of slicing the cake, it collapsed. There was at least 4 inches of frosting applied to cover the uneven cake. Whoever did such a slipshod job should be ashamed of themselves. If the cake did not turn out evenly ,redo it. Shabby work. I will not consider using Gambino 's in Baton Rouge again.

A 30 min wait during non peak hours at 2 pm in the afternoon for a cup of iced coffee is insane. You’ve probably have better luck driving a few more mins to a farther Starbucks and get your drink faster.

I chose the College Drive Starbucks because it was close to a restaurant I was going to for lunch. I needed coffee real bad and wanted a nice comfortable and quiet place to work. I ordered a grande dark coffee of the day and added oat milk and one sugar in the raw. Stirred it up and it was perfect. I would definitely recommend this Starbucks location for a quick stop and a great place to study, do work, or meet friends. Enjoy!

I went in to order a coffee and needed to use the restroom first. I was in a suit and asked for the door code for the bathroom and they wouldn’t give it to me until I placed an order. Which I was going to do after I washed my hands and used the restroom. The staff was rude and this policy is ridiculous. Meanwhile the place was full of teleworkers with empty coffees.

Coffee and food are fine but this is by far the slowest Starbucks I’ve been to. Do yourself a favor and go to the Starbucks on corporate. They’re so much faster!

I got my wedding cake here and it was absolutely beautiful. Tasted wonderful and everyone loved it. My only complaint is that we had a delivery window of 2:30-3:30pm and our cake was not delivered until after 4pm. My reception started at 5pm. I also never received a phone call saying that they were running late. So there was added stress to an already stressful day. Not sure if I would go through this bakery again due to the lack of communication. But if you plan to pick up your own cake then maybe.

Our wedding and groom's cake were absolutely perfect! Not only did they look great but they were SO DELICIOUS! The people at Les Amis were so helpful in collaborating on both the design and the correct size to meet our needs. They have tons of other tasty treats in store and I cannot recommend their services enough!

It was my baby's first birthday cake and the cake was amazing and the details were great although there was some confusion in the arrangement but it was the best ever and they were understanding of my situation and the changes I requested✨👍🏻

Can’t wait to update my review when I get my photos back from my wedding, but I couldn’t have possibly been happier with my wedding cake & grooms cakes. They understood exactly what I wanted and absolutely nailed it. The cake was so beautiful and exactly what I asked for, but better. The grooms cake blew me out of the water, it was the best tasting cake I’ve ever had. We chose chocolate banana cake with peanut butter mousse filling, and I had several guests rave to me about it. My DJ even called me personally after to ask about it, because it was THAT good. If you’re searching for a beautiful cake that tastes just as good as it looks, Les Amis is the way to go.

We stopped in for coffee while we were driving through town. We were so glad we chose this place. The service was great. Friendly and helpful batista. She offered good suggestions on the coffee and also the bakery items. We tried various Desserts, they were all excellent. My favorite was the lemon cakes. I highly recommend this bakery for coffee or bakery items. Very fresh, excellent flavors and not excessive sugar.

I ordered a smash cake, cupcakes and a cake for my sons birthday. Nothing was ready on time so went back and only smash cake was ready. Then cupcakes were made wrong so they redid them and cake was still not finished. They did discount cupcakes. So I went back for the 2nd time after pushing the original time back. The cupcakes did not taste good. The cake was decent. I did make the mistake of choosing to pick up the same day of the party so I learned not to do that. But I was overall disappointed in my order because I have ordered and had other things from here that were great.

They did a great job on our baby shower cake! It was beautiful. It was moist and the almond flavor was great!! They were prompt and kind to work with. We picked up the cake topper from them last minute and it worked out wonderfully. I’d definitely purchase from them again. Highly recommend this business.

A wonderfully delicious from scratch bakery. You can taste the difference of ingredients from the first bite. I encourage you to try the Salted Chocolate Chip cookies!! It’s the best cookie I’ve ever had. But they don’t stop there…the brownie is rich but not overly sweet. Their unicorn bars are a buttery, sweet and fun treat. The king cakes are fantastic (and they ship)!! A newer item, croissant and especially the king cake croissant is insanely delicious. 😋 follow the bakery on Instagram for daily updates on new items and fresh out the oven baked goods! They are also very community focused and host a multitude of events including pop up markets, social media breakfast and many other events. CounterSpace is a true local bakery in the heart of Baton Rouge. 🩷🩷

Egg and bacon biscuit sandwich with cheese was very delicious and very filling. Haven't had a chance to try the muffins yet, but they look delicious. Staff is super friendly. Store is fairly new only open about a year and a half I think, and very clean with comfortable seating.

I bought a grab and go surprise bag. It was a surprise alright. Old hard cupcakes. One squished. Lard ridden bars. Paid almost $8 for 6 tiny old hard items. Horrible. Waste of money and time. All other restaurants/stores give more and fresher. One cupcake looked squished and like no effort was used frosting it. See photos. My first impression is not good. I’ll never purchase again. In response to the owner who replied to me, the food was wasted bc I threw it in the garbage. I didn’t get $25 worth of food. I threw $8 away. Hear me, the all of frosting tasted rancid. It was not suitable for consumption. The cupcakes were hard. The cookie was so hard and also tasted rancid. I made a video of me banging the cookie on the dashboard. I can send it to you. You should not serve spoiled items to people. I did not eat it bc the frosting went bad and the cookie also tasted horrible. If the food literally had not tasted rancid I may have come back. You lost an opportunity to get a new customer. Have higher standards and care for not serving food that may not be safe to too good to go customers.

What a fantastic find! The Government Street location is right by our home and I had the pleasure of stopping in. I passed it so many times wanting to stop and see what it is all about. I love the atmosphere and the changes they made inside. It is a friendlier, inviting, warm space now. The staff were so friendly and helpful! Now let's talk about the food....yummmmm!!! So good! The food was so fresh, was delicious and priced well. Cannot wait to try more of their menu items and bakery goods!

I purchased a cake recently and paid $68 for a 6inch minimal styled cake. I think they should change their website to allow you to send pictures for inspiration. i selected a type of icing style and that was not put on the cake after i told the woman on the phone I wanted that. The workers are not very friendly. I probably will not purchase another cake from them. The flavor of the cake was great! but the service and the execution was ultimately disappointing especially when my birthday cake last year was bigger and more intricately designed and i paid $40 and this one was wayy smaller and barely designed for $68. Personally, not worth it!

I was happy to see there was a location in Baton Rouge on Perkins! Flavors: Cookies and Cream, Chocolate Cheesecake, Lemon, Circus Cookie, and Lemon Blueberry. Depending on the flavor, some of the cookies were soft, thick, and doughy. The best one is the Chocolate Cheesecake! I love the ganache and whipped cream. I wasn't blown away about the baked treats, but I can tell these were made with love. A solid experience.

Birthday cake sandwich is by far the best. This cookie needs to be on the permanent menu. Carolines destroys Crumble Cookie and is priced way more affordable than Crumble. I am not understanding some of the silly reviews that are negative and unwarranted. We go here almost every week. That is how good it is. Just trust me, on that Birthday cake sandwich though. It is a must try and the best cookie in my opinion

Waited an hour in line for the December flavors and so worth the wait. Some of the best cookies I’ve ever eaten. Most definitely thick and gooey like they say. You fill out a card with how many cookies you want so ordering process is easy.

Best BBQ in Louisiana! The crawfish queso was so good, and they serve it with homemade pork skins to scoop it up with, as well as home made crispy fried chips. This place was amazing! Highly recommend if you're driving anywhere near Baton Rouge you stop and give this place a try.

I finally got a chance to eat here and i enjoyed it. The waiter and staff were kind and courteous. The food was seasoned just right, we ordered the blue cheese bib & steak and the brisket burger. Although I enjoyed my salad, I have been craving that brisket burger it was so good I almost tip the cook. The atmosphere was amazing, relaxing, clean environment, they greet you when you enter, say bye when you leave, everyone was smiling and no long faces. I was on a date so this was the right place for it, it can also be a spot to just have time to yourself or me time as I call it. Would I recommend this restaurant YES INDEED.

It was the evening that we were leaving our son at college and we were breaking down crying. Our waitress was amazing. She brought out their best dessert right on time to try and make everyone feel better. This is our second time there and not only is the food and dessert delicious, the service is impeccable.

Had an excellent experience here. Started with the Pork Debris Spring Rolls. So good. Then ordered the City Pork BBQ Platter for the entree. SO much food. Delicious. Didn't eat it all. Leftovers for several days. Would order again. We will definitely come back and try some of the sandwiches next time. Great service and atmosphere here. The music was also good. The Grateful Dead was playing when I walked in.

Had lunch here with family. Food was great! I had the wild boar chile rellano. The staff was so excited about their perfectly cooked egg on top. It was fun. Had the bacon old fashioned - which to be honest - is pretty gimmicky - and I don't care because I got a piece of bacon. The drink was fine otherwise. We had some house chips on the table with some sort of dip that was great too (sorry dont remember the details). Would love to come back another time.

Shoutout Josh for making the world's most delicious "honey nut Cheerios" matcha! Made with oat milk, I'd petition for this to be a permanent menu item. It's nice to visit BR and be met with deliciously inventive drinks such as this. The space is beautiful, sunny and comfortable/spacious for remote workers or friends catching up alike.

When people think of coffee shops in BR, they may think Highland or Garden District. Ever since I helped manage Frankie’s Dawg House, before Stuart sold it, I used to go into Magpie daily for the cold brew. I haven’t been to this place for 8 years. They always have the most attentive and interested workers. The best baked goods. Magpie is amazing still, after all of these years! The tomato + herb goat cheese frittata was amazing. As well as the blueberry almond stitch!!

This was mine and my fiance's first time here. We have been to just about every local coffee shop in Baton Rouge and this one is easily one of the best in town!! Ellen and Karli were so pleasant to talk to, very helpful with suggestions, and definitely were a big part of why our first time here was so amazing! I can't speak on the food, but the food all looked like it was amazing and the dietary options were extremely inclusive! Will definitely be coming back!

I couldn’t really taste the vanilla in my latte, it was really bitter. But, great service and atmosphere. I will be back and try something different from the menu. Hopefully it will be better than what I had today.

I love this place! They have amazing coffee and delicious homemade pop tarts. Fabulous baristas who know exactly what they’re doing. The new renovation is lovely too. Magpie is my happy place.

Stopped here on the way out of town and OMG the vegan breakfast sandwich is the best. I’ve ever had even my dad, who usually hates anything vegan said it was super tasty. I also got the superfood latte which was 10/10. It was a bit busy when I went (around 10 am on a Saturday so to be expected), if I could go again I would go earlier in the morning to avoid the crowds. Wish I lived in Baton Rouge, I’d be here every weekend!

What a beautiful gem in Baton Rouge! Creative cocktails, some frozen and some on the rocks, made with care and fresh ingredients! I’d recommend the tiger smash (on the rocks or frozen) and their hurricane (again in the rocks or frozen). Their rum is made from freshly and locally sourced sugar cane. You can take give facility tours along with a history lesson. The tap room is beautifully decorated and comfortable. They also rent the space for private parties!

Stopped on on a Thursday afternoon. Enjoyed a full flight poured by Tico and a tour by John. Very personable. Wonderful service. The rum was really good. They really connected the sugar mill with the distillery. Would definitely recommend.

Caleb was extraordinary, our tour was informative and personal. I can’t wait to come back with the rest of my family!

I wish I could give BREE 100 stars. She was awesome. My wife uses a walker and BREE helped her everywhere. BREE was super knowledgeable The tour was fantastic and I am super impressed with the fact of that they use every part of the cane. This is truly one of the best things we have done in Baton Rouge while we have been here. DRINK MORE RUM¡!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Oxbow and highly recommend a stop in to taste the delicious rums being distilled there. Jimmy was a wonderful bartender and host, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the different spirits. We opted for the full tasting and were impressed with the unique flavors of each pour. Although we didn't get to participate in a tour we were able to glimpse the impressive copper still! After our tasting we each enjoyed a specialty cocktail that was mixed perfectly and presented beautifully.

I loved Caleb he gave us a tour so full of personality he presented the company so well the rum was amazing learning about the process the history in the company just a great experience over all I would most definitely recommend anyone to come here BUT ESPECIALLY THE LOCALS❤️

The friendly staff were very helpful in my decision of what drink (hibiscus/lemonade) to have with my delicious Piazza Panini, which I easily indulged in the Roasted Pistachio Gelato afterwards. My fur baby was very delighted in the “Dog Gelato” they offer (I took a bitty taste, kinda light peanut buttery taste) Took home some divine loose tea also!!

It’s so refreshing to find an authentic Italian place in Baton Rouge! The atmosphere is cozy and the employees are kind, welcoming, and hard-working. The food was absolutely delicious! We got veggie pizza, lasagna, and the French onion soup. Their coffee was better than any place I’ve ever had. Cute little cafe in a strip mall of other stores, the gelato was a little icy but the coffee was really good, I got the gingerbread latte. They also have pop up bakery’s that come periodically, I would be interested in that for sure ! There is food here as well.

Small Italian Cafe. Gelato, coffees, sandwiches and Italian dishes. I enjoyed a Mango sorbet as others in the party chose the dairy gelato. Every dish was empty. The food dishes smelled wonderful as they brought them to other customers. I spied on a flatbread and it looked kickin. I will have to come with my family to try the flatbread. I wished they had cannolli but do have a cannolli flavored cannolli . One person in the party commented that the hot sandwiches are good.

I get La Divina often for lunch and all has been amazing. This visit was beyond. Disappointing. The pizza was served on sliced bread instead of pizza crust and was beyond soggy. We also got spaghetti and meatballs and the meat balls were so dry and crumbly and the sauce had nothing but a can taste. If I didn’t have them before and know the potential I would never return. Not to mention I bought a soda and it was expired in the beginning of February.

Perfect spot for a cute cozy date. The atmosphere is incredibly warm and welcoming. I had the drip coffee, which was delicious and served at the perfect temperature. The Cinnamon Walnut Coffee Cake was very airy and moist. Definitely will come back to try their breakfast options.

Fantastic place! Customer service was excellent! The food was delicious! Everything came fast. If you are in the area please give it a try. This will be my new favorite place when I visit Baton Rouge. Visiting again and of course, I couldn't leave without trying something new from my favorite restaurant! Again the food was amazing and the service too!

What a gem of a little place. I’m in Baton Rouge, Louisiana visiting family from Los Angeles. What great food and great people you can tell that like to make people happy. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great food. That make a fantastic Philly steak sandwich, and loaded fries. Couldn’t ask for anything more..

My face hurts, cause the food here slaps and slaps hard.. 3 stars for the atmosphere only because when you open the door the aroma of the cheesesteak hits you in the face and you won't notice anything else. Man o man onions grilled to perfection, the buns are cloud soft, fresh veggies, crisp fries and that cheesesteak . Have found this place, we'll make the 160 mi round trip just to get here again. PS: super friendly and helpful staff. The joint is spotless from top to bottom . I ordered The Cajun, it was really good, the best bite was definitely getting all the steak, onions, jalapeños and chipotle mayo in one bite! Bun was soft (in a good way) fries were crispy and salted to perfection, soda machine was broke at time of visit, sweet tea was fresh, well worth the 15 minute wait during lunch rush! Highly recommend to anybody who loves a good Philly

This was my first time trying this establishment. I have had friends talk of how good it was. The day I went must have been an off day. There were lots of people there waiting for food at lunch time. The staff was nice, but they were busy. I ordered the cheese steak hoagie deal. I was not impressed. The meat had no n taste to it. I barely tasted onions on it. My bread was soaked. The fries were soggy and not crisp at all. I would definitely NOT recommend this place.

Being from NY, I love a good cheesesteak. Heard about this place and it is tucked into a corner by the highway, so getting there can be fun. But it is well worth it. All types of Cheesesteaks, and more. The bread is especially awesome, soft, just like a real one. The food is cooked fresh for you, you can even watch them cook it. The Cheesesteak was moist and I had the BBQ, which was sweet. The fries were real potatoes and cooked perfect. This is about as close as you are going to get to a Philly Cheesesteak in Baton Rouge.

If you ever said, “The south just can’t make them right”, you have not been here. Best ever, no exaggeration. They got me hooked.

Parking lot is small so spaces are limited. We went at 12pm and it was fairly busy. From taking our order at the register and waiting was probably less than 10 minutes. The dining area is small too. Customer service was great. They have a lot of variety in terms of the different cheesesteak sandwiches and wraps that they offered. I got the one with the mushrooms and it was pretty good. Wish the portions were a bit bigger and it was loaded with more cheese. A lot of the steak in mine was a bit charred but I didn’t mind. Onions rings were large and deliciously fried!

I really liked the Colonel's Club. The ambience and vibe were amazing. The appetizers were delicious and presented well. The entrees were tasty, but I wish I had asked the server for suggestions. The lobster Gnocchi was okay, but not as good as I had hoped. The star of the show for me was an amazing cocktail, the duck-fat Sazerac. If you decide to visit, you HAVE to get this drink! Definitely a strong 4.5 out of 5! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

We spent our anniversary dinner at this restaurant and was a pleasant experience. Short wait for the food and it was delicious. Our server was fantastic, always checking on us and making sure that we were well taken care of. We will be returning for sure. This was actually our 2nd visit but didn’t leave a review the first time; now I can say that food quality and service has been consistently great.

I had my first visit to colonels club last Thursday. The atmosphere and service was great! Loved the drink flavors, but the drinks were way too small. I was told by a friend they had the best espresso martini they’d ever had there, but I strongly disagree- it was very average. Entrees and apps were good, but not great. Portions size for the food was too small as well. Still enjoyed the experience and hope next visit is better!

We had an amazing dining experience on 2/15/25. From start to finish our dinner was a 15/10. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, meatballs, and lettuce wraps and all were phenomenal. I ordered the fish romesco and my husband got the shrimp picatta. Both were so fresh and one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The drinks were also amazing. I cannot recommend this place enough for an intimate, beautiful, and delicious dining experience!

5/5 for the ambience and the service. The food, however, would be a 1/5. Especially for the price. Extremely over priced for the kind of food you're getting. The fried rice tasted like the frozen veggies were used. Very watery and tasted like it had been sitting around. The menu said the katsu came with a "Korean bbq sauce" but it was really just normal BBQ sauce...The half chicken was good but once again, for the price, it should've been great. Our server was very kind and attentive. The ambiance is nice and it seems pretty newly renovated. It seems they are trying to cosplay as a fancy restaurant. But the food doesn't lie

Took my wife here for our 22nd Anniversary and boy did it NOT disappoint. Everything from the entrance to the dessert was amazing. The attention to detail was unbelievable. I had a Baked Alaskan cocktail and it was amazing. Perfect fusion cooking of appetizers and entrees. The desserts from a local baker topped it all off. If you are looking for a place that is not the same ole same ole. Go check it out

What an AMAZING PLACE! My hubbie and I and two dear friends finally got to experience the Colonel Club!! We did small plates in the lounge which was what we set out to do. We walked in and the lounge was PACKED. We did not let this deter us. The cozy ambiance was truly mesmerizing! As we maneuvered “the crowd” we stumbled upon the “parlor/cove” behind the piano. Quaint, private tastefully decorated and comfortable. Setting the stage for a PERFECT AND MEMORABLE night. Upon inquiring at the bar, the bartender/ server, Soraya, took over and gave us 200% service. She was caring, friendly, kind and attentive to every detail making us feel as though we were the only people in her care. As far as the small plates offered, I don’t think you can make a wrong choice. We shared a Royal Red(subbed w/cocktail shrimp), Thai lettuce wraps and Crispy Brussel Sprouts. Each was skillfully prepared to be a tasteful and satisfying culinary delight! Rusty Yates, is the perfect musician to highlight and complete “your mom’s 1939 living room” experience! Rich and inviting, The Colonel Club lounge is a Baton Rouge Gem!!

My mom order me a king cake for my birthday. I just moved very north and was craving a little peice of home! She wouldn't say how much she paid for this king cake but I do know it was way to much. I was upset before I even got the cake. They only send cakes once a week, ok. They did not deliver the cake. No call nothing. When she did call they where rude! Cake will be a week late! A week! Finally get the cake I could have let this go with the cheap icing and bags of colored sugar that we decorated with. But the cake is nasty too. No cinnamon in the cake thats not king cake. Tasted like it had been in the freezer for well over the week! Never again! Sorry mom.

I tell you I generally never send stuff back, but ... This cake was so dry, it was like eating chalk. We didn’t even eat it. I returned the uneaten portion, and it was no shock no one was in the place. I asked for the manager and explained that this was not work $70 bucks, and a Walmart cake would have been much better. Very disappointed in Baum’s for serving what seemed to be an old frozen pre made sheet cake. What a waste of $70 ...

Great service. I ordered a custom cake for my daughter's 21's birthday. When I picked it up the cake was pretty but not exactly what I wanted. I was going to take the cake anyway. But the employee saw I was not totally satisfied, she said they would make the changes I wanted. Within an hour they called me to pick up the cake. It was beautiful. Everyone at my daughter's party commented on how pretty the cake looked. On top of that, it tasted great. I am extremely grateful that Baum's employee's did everything within their means to make sure I was satisfied with my cake. I was satisfied and very pleased with the cake and the professionalism of the employees. I sincerely thank you.

My Cake was horrible.They didn't listen to anything whatsoever. The design of the cake was garbage. The cake had a crack in it and they mixed up the colors which was horrible. There was no effort in putting the frosting on the it looked like it was just done quickly. They also messed up with the filling. I asked for half coconut half pineapple I got Just Coconut. The Cake was horrible. I paid 50.00 a 10 ' cake. Im a loyal customer that been ordering cakes for 30+ years. They made NO Effort to correct this. I will NEVER ORDER AGAIN -S. Harris

Extreamly disappointed with the location...for all my events i get cakes from this location from a sheet of cake squares decorated to cut out cakes. Last year I brought them a pic of a paw patrol cake and they made it exactly like the picture, it was awesome. I went in today with another picture and it was about 5:40 and I was told that the boss to her to come tell me they could not do the cake for me because I had to order in 72 hours ahead. 10 minutes really! That frustrated me because I do use this place and I like the product but I think we could have came to a better compromise than a flat out no.

I’ve been going to Baum’s over the years and it has been hit and miss. There were times when I purchased an amazing cake, and then there were times that I had an issue with the cake I purchased. Sometimes the cakes are terribly dry. I don’t know if they are old and are sold anyway, but that is a problem. UPDATE: This place has gone completely downhill! Awful! They changed certain recipes, particularly for their eclairs, and that was the only reason for my continued patronage. Not anymore. I’m done.

Placed an order , delivery said it was received but never did. I try calling the courier and no one answered so I called the store and there was pretty much nothing they can do but a refund. The delivery is with Nothing Bundt Cake but somehow they can’t get in touch with the driver. I ask if they could send out another order but she said there was nothing left for the day. Place another delivery order 10 minutes after and it was available so we will see if it delivers.

Placed a large order of 60 cakes for Delivery. Paid for delivery. after the cakes were over an hour late, we called and there was no one even aware that the order had not gone out. No one had an explanation. Said that they could "try" to find a delivery person but couldn't promise anything. I told them we would head out to pick them up ourselves. It took almost 30 minutes to get there and once I walked it, the order wasn't even packaged and ready. It took them another 10 minutes to the put the order together. The ladies working the front register had no idea about the order and were more concerned with figuring out who was taking lunch hour now or later. Once we got the orders, there were tons of black flecks of something all over the plastic containers in the Vanilla box. We had to use keyboard duster sprayers to get whatever the debris was off the of boxes before we sent them out. Our first attempt to use them for a corporate event. Very disappointed in the experience. The manager was kind but in the grand scheme of things, no one really cared that that order was a blunder. I suggested that they remove delivery off of their website because nowhere does it redirect to Uber Eats etc and it just makes the store look at fault. We used them specifically for the delivery option

Horrible packaging and offered no resolutions to help fix a birthday. Literally held the cake for 10 minutes to tell me they couldn’t help.

the employees are super friendly, However when I drive 35 minutes for one $70 cake with a sunflower in the middle. I'd like to get home and see the flower in the middle 🙄 . ended up having to drive 35 minutes BACK to this store to get the flower Wich is the center peice of the cake, extremely inconvenient. We will be back for another try later on BUT i will have to see them open the box before i leave .

It’s unfortunate for nothing Bundt to advertise biscoff and never have it available for purchase at the Baton Rouge location on a daily basis. I’ve checked EVERY day this week including today and they’ve never had it. And to tell customers they sold out when they never had it is dishonest.

We stopped by the store today and purchased eight bundtlets as gifts for my team. While the cakes are always great, the customer service we received was disappointing. The staff member with the glasses who helped us appeared visibly frustrated and rushed through interactions, not just with us, but also with the customer ahead of us, which included a child who was abruptly dismissed. Sidenote, the lady that actually packaged the cakes was super helpful just not the associate ringing our order up. After our purchase, I realized I forgot to ask for cellophane bags and ribbon to package the bundtlets nicely. My fiancé went back in to ask, and the response was a curt “no” with no explanation or alternative offered. It would’ve been helpful to at least be informed of any store policy in a polite way. We understand policies are in place, but the overall experience felt unnecessarily cold. A little more warmth and enthusiasm could really go a long way especially when customers are coming in for celebratory or thoughtful purchases. Try to make hating your job a little less miserable in public. Thanks.

The white raspberry bundt was soooooooo good. It is a very busy location and I can see why. It’s amazing they give a free bundt for your birthday.

I tried the rose milk tea (almost passed out when I saw that it was on the menu) and the strawberry binsoo (strawberry compote, condensed milk & shaved ice). Both were generously sized and the flavors were 10/10! I went later in the evening and was able to enjoy sitting outside and loved the lighting/ambience. This is the perfect place to bring a date, family or fly solo!

My friend and I went to Sweet Society’s pop up event at Sweet Baton Rouge yesterday and really enjoyed it! The strawberry cups were too cute, and both the lemonade and strawberry black tea they offered were great. We’re looking forward to going to their actual store in the future!

They have great ice cream!! The people are super nice and the vibe makes you keep like you are in Asia.

This little sweet shop is right next to Boru Ramen. It's connected by a hallway. It's decorated nicely and the prices are reasonable. My honey and I enjoyed our "ice cream," although it didn't have the texture of traditional ice cream. It was very tasty.

Best experience in Baton Rouge for Japanese ice cream. They are always adding seasonal items along with new flavors. The ube is amazing, and we always have to get an order of taiyaki pockets with cheese to bring home....best grilled cheese sandwich. Lately, they have been offering various Dole flavors such as mango and lime......so good mixed together with the custard taiyaki. The drinks are very good as well. Do not miss out on this amazing ice cream experience. It is worth the drive.

Delicious and fun dessert items featuring "exotic soft serve" ice cream, sorbets, and delicious fish-shaped objects stuffed with your choice of tasty additions then cooked to order. They also have an array of Asian bagged sweets and treats for sale, some of which were familiar and some I had never seen before. They are conveniently located around the corner from City Roots coffee shop if you like coffee with your frozen treats. The shop faces a public area within the Electric Depot footprint providing nice outside seating. Well worth the trip!

One of the best ice cream experiences in Baton Rouge area. The freshly made waffle pockets add a whole new dimension to the ice cream cups. The place is nicely decorated and and the staff is very friendly. You can try from various flavors they offer.

Let me start off with the staff here!!! Super nice!!! I was greeted when I entered the restaurant, they answered my questions nicely and the manager was very kind... Customer service 10/10! Food: We ordered the pepper jelly shrimp wrap with red beans and rice, and I must say those red beans and rice were really good! Our wrap was good, too! Now the place was spacious and nice, but the floor was really sticky!!! ... but because the service was great and the food was good, I will definitely visit here again! I figured maybe they just needed a moment to mop because the lady cleaned the tables as soon as people left. 👌🏽

The food was fulfilling and engaged all my taste buds per usual! However, my server Ms. Brianna was the star this Saturday. She was patient, polite, and professional. She greeted me with a huge smile while taking my order. Brought the food to my table and even offered to get extra condiments and napkins! Her attitude alone makes me want to return frequently! Mrs. D was the best hostess for my first visit! You can tell she loves her job. She walked me through the whole menu and gave great recommendations. And the food was delicious!

Food was delicious but the service from Dee. Amazing!! She went over the entire menu. We wanted something light. Tried the crawfish ettoufee, Fried Catfish platter and red beans and rice. She is very knowledgeable. Very energetic and so friendly. We will return again, just because of her. Go Gators!!

We came in for lunch today and let me tell you how amazing it was. Being from Louisiana it’s hard to get good Cajun food fast, but this place blew my mind. From walking in being greeted, to the manager Justin coming around seeing if everything was good. I’ve gotta say I was really shocked how great this place was. Will definitely be back.

I stopped in today after blindly driving for something to catch my eye. I just arrived in town for a 2 week stay, and this was the best find! Olivia at the window was so patient, I asked her for recommendations, and I took one of her suggestions and got the Roast Beef Po' Boy and a side of red beans and rice. In the few moments it took me to drive from the speaker to the window, Olivia was already circling items on a To Go menu for me to try later. She was so helpful and patient, without even being asked! Needless to say, she made an incredible first impression on this weary traveler, and the food was AMAZING. The red beans and rice was still STEAMING hot by the time I got it back to my hotel room. The roast beef po' boy was delicious and chunky and messy with lettuce and mayo and thick sweet tomato. The bread was soft enough to absorb it, but sturdy enough for me to still have to gnaw off each bite a little. Perfect!! I'll be back, working my way through Olivia's suggestions. Great place all around.

This was such a lovely place. The workers are super nice. The desserts they have are amazinggg. We got the Dubai crape it was so delicious. Haven’t tried the bar yet but I bet it’s just as amazing at the crape they use Belgium chocolate so it’s the best tasting quality wise.

Super cute atmosphere! Would be a great place to have a cup of coffee with friends. I hadn’t realized that they also served coffee drinks & cappuccinos, etc. What keeps bringing me back though are the white chocolate covered strawberries. They make an excellent choice for a coworker’s birthday. Better than a cake and healthier too in my opinion! While waiting for my chocolate covered strawberries to be made, I was suggested to try the strawberry crepe. And oh my word, was I not disappointed! Yum! I literally said “oh my God” out loud. I have never had a crepe before! I have been missing out!

For the love of Chocolate - a perfect tag line for Bonjour! This incredible patisserie has everything a chocolate lover could want. Fluffy waffles dipped in chocolate and covered in sugary goodness, crepes filled with creme, and incredible waffle cones filled with ice cream and too many goodies to count. Forget any other deserts you've had and get to Bonjour right away. Their lovely and knowledgeable staff will be happy to help you and their comfortable café environment will make you never want to leave.

We got the Dubai crepe, bubble waffle, and caramel latte and they were all amazing. You can tell it is freshly made to your order and the staff is very friendly! We will return!

Came in for dessert on a busy night and we were told 15-20min wait. We ordered thinking that wasn't too bad. We didn't get our order until 50mins later. Our order wasn't bad but was way more syrups, spreads, and toppings than crepe.

Can’t say enough about that Dubai chocolate crepe!!! Everything freshly made to order takes a bit of time but it’s very much worth the wait. We also had a brownie covered waffle stick. Definitely recommend trying this place out.

I’m giving Bonjour 5 stars because I want to support local businesses and I really appreciate the kind customer service. The café has a cozy vibe and the staff was welcoming. I tried the Kunafa Au Ganache — it looked beautiful, but the cake itself was just okay and a bit too sweet for my taste. Also, I was surprised to see $2.49 charged for a very small cup of water; for that price, I would have expected at least a bottled water. Overall, I admire what they’re building here and hope the business continues to thrive in Baton Rouge.

I had no problem with the taste of my order but was very disappointed in the quality. The attached picture is what they served as a boudin kolache. It ended up being 99% bread with a teaspoon of boudin.

First of all come very early around 6 am for fresh batch of donuts it’s super good and there very polite and quick service.

We ordered a King Cake to be sent on February 24th and arrive on February 25th for Fat Tuesday. Today, February 15th, it arrived all broken. To add insult to injury after my husband called and spoke to someone who took the call she said she would leave a note for the owner and he would call us back. He never did. We paid $60 for this cake. We are very disappointed.

Fabulous bakery items (any and all) along with great kolaches and beautiful and super delicious cakes of all kinds for all events. Items are fresh and made daily, everyday! They also cater and supply large events. Best food and friendly service. They appreciate your business, treat you well, and work hard. The owner is very hard working and wants all his customers to be 100% satisfied. Give Port Allen Bakery a try, you will love them!

Been here a couple of times in the past few weeks. Love the doughnut holes. Better get there early to ensure you get some. Always purchase the doughnut holes, dozen glazed and cinnamon twists. Didn't get the cinnamon twists the last time I was there. They are a little smaller than I remember and tasted a bit sour ( reason for the 4 stars). The ladies at the front are always so nice and pleasant to deal with.

The ice cream is sooo good and creamy!! I got chunky monkey (banana flavored ice cream with chocolate) and it was delicious 🤤 I love that they have a freezer full of beef from what I assume is their cows. Unfortunately, the stations were not in operation, which was a little disappointing, ah well it was still fun. The worker also didn’t know much about anything

Been to dairy stores at multiple universities and this one just seemed a little bit dysfunctional in comparison to some of the others. The ice cream was great, it's just that the student staff all seemed to not know what they were doing. Also, the security gates are down during the day so it makes it very difficult to get onto campus to visit the dairy store.

A wonderful little gem on LSU campus: homemade ice cream produced with milk straight from LSU cows. The Store has a variety of flavors, and the ice cream is very good. I expected to pay a premium price for ice cream produced straight from cow to cone, but I was shocked by how much of a premium I had to pay. Apart from the pricetag, a great spot to grab some high quality ice cream in the heart of LSU’s bueatiful campus.

You guys need to fix your page I Googled you guys and it says you open at 10:00 a.m. I was working nearby finished my job early and came over and got to the parking lot at 9:30 sat here for 30 minutes waiting for you to open wait until 10:00 walked over in the door was locked with a sign on the door that says summer semester is 11:00 a.m. how is anyone that does not come to campus off and supposed to know this? I planned this trip for a long time specifically to line up with the job I was doing on campus I never get to come here because of the parking situation only being two spots I have wasted multiple trips over here trying to come get some ice cream but there is never any parking to reserve spots you have are always full and usually it doesn't even appear to be people going there

Small selection of ice cream made on campus. Very nice treat on a hot and humid day. Not much seating inside, but there's a decent amount of shade outside if the inside is full. They also have a small selection of meat from various animals, I saw Pork, Lamb, and Beef in their freezer, if you plan to get any of the meat bring an insulated bag with some ice packs to keep it cool.

Very helpful staff. Came for the meat and left with an ice cream cone in addition. You should allow tips.

This place is really nice! The bartenders are all wonderful. They have a cute little backyard area where they do yoga on Mondays. They Have a lot of seats in the outside area. There's also a coffee shop in the mornings. Plus they have a sandwich shop truck that makes some of the best sandwiches that I've ever had in my entire life! The atmosphere is awesome and they've got something going on pretty much every night. It seems really popular but it also never seems like there's too many people. I guess because it's mostly open air? Dog friendly and most people let you pet their dogs, just ask first.

This place is my go-to spot when I want to grab a drink, even if I don’t have anyone to go with. I always end up meeting someone to chat with. The people here are super friendly and have such a chill vibe. I love the drinks, the music, the fact that it’s pet-friendly—but most of all, I love the good energy this place has! The owners are amazing hosts and make everyone feel welcome!!

Sweet Jesus. I want to love this place. The atmosphere is fun. There’s always a fun event going on. But every single one of my dozens of visits have felt like the opening day. They do all these cool events and then seem to be shocked that people have turned up for them. Apparently you can only order a drink from one specific spot at the bar? Despite there being no labeling that that’s the only spot you can order a drink? I’ve also been ignored while the bartenders laughed. Or vaped. Or were on their phone. This is the most abusive relationship in my life- I keep coming back despite being treated like an inconvenience every time I’m there. I think you go for the pop ups and leave because you can’t get a drink.

I really love this bar so much and it's in my favorite part of town, Mid City! Between the wonderful people you run into, to the staff, and their regular food pop ups! Not to mention, they offer free Yoga on Mondays. It really is a special place.

Very cool hangout with a hip mid-century vibe. Great service, craft cocktails and ton of beer on tap. Love the old-school/retro folding chairs and patio tables outside. Really dig the “analog now-playing” Spotify board… very cool! 😎👍

They always have fantastic atmosphere and things going on. They constantly partner with local chefs to do delicious pop ups. From random movie nights or elaborate evening festivals it really seems like there's always something going on at this place. It's also perfect for brunches & quaint afternoons just chilling with your friends and dogs. Highly recommend!

This quickly became my favorite bar in Baton Rouge. The atmosphere is great and there's always an eclectic group of people. The food truck is always serving up some slamming food. Everything you want in your neighborhood bar!

Great local ice cream shop! I do wish the flavors had more flavor, however! The scoop sizes were small as well. It was still a great value for the price they charge, but it left me hoping for more. A locally owned similar shop across the river in Port Allen off Highway 1 has more flavor, larger size scoops and more flavor options. I have no stake in either, but it was sharply in contrast with yesterday's experience at Maddie's.

This is just a simple place to enjoy ice cream. The young lady brewing the counter was alert and ready to serve when I got to the counter. Then I began eating that( must be) home made I've cream. I sat inside at the windrow bar, waiting for the traffic jam that led me here to break up. But, they also have a table under a tree in the yard. All and all, a wonderful surprise stop.

Gail’s Fine Ice Cream is the cutest little shop ever! Every time I have gone in the service was amazing!✨ All of the workers are so kind and so helpful. The flavor selection is amazing! I always love coming in to see the new treats! I love the whole vibe of the place I feel like the plants inside just add a special touch! 🪴🍦

Our new favorite spot is Gails Fine Ice Cream !!! Their staff is incredibly kind and welcoming! Homemade ice cream soooo delicious that we’ll definitely come visit more often!

This is one of the best local ice cream shops in Baton Rouge! They have an ice cream shop and a truck outside. And many flavors to choose from. I got the Milk and Cookies 10/10

As you can see by the pictures I have been to this place in the daytime and the night time LOL. I just so happened to stumble upon this place about 3 weeks ago and have been back 4 times. Great customer service with smiles every time. I haven't been to any other ice cream shop since.

THE BEST ICE CREAM!!! This was suppose to be a cool treat for my daughter but I ordered one for myself and then I ordered another one for myself lol, yep, I had TWO cones, the ice cream was just TOO GOOD to eat just one cone 🤷‍♀️ I love the prices and the loads of ice cream on each cone. The price is just great and the ice cream flavor is even greater 🩷 We will be making MANY return trips back here!!! July 2023

Eloise Market and Cakery was a refreshing experience! The atmosphere is colorful, clean and open! The snowballs are great and fairly priced - recommend them to add cream flavors like A nectar Cream Snowball:). They also had fantastic cookies that are better than a couple chain cookie specialty shops that I also love, even! I will be back!!!!!

Cake was beautiful, better than I had envisioned. More importantly, it was delicious! Ashley was so kind and cheerful! When I picked up the cake, Ashley and the baker (forgot to get her name) made sure every single detail was perfect before walking out of the store. Ashley made sure my daughter felt extra special on her birthday by speaking directly to her about the cake and if any last minute changes needed to be made. Will be returning! Cons: The person who took my cake order was not mean but also not the friendliest (this is a customer service job), she seemed annoyed that I was there; however, Ashley's kindness and cheerful attitude made up for it when picking up the cake. The inside of the store could use some cleaning up behind the counter and inside the large refrigerator.

So my review was 3.75 and here is why… I booked for me and my two daughters but only one was able to attend. We arrived 25 mins early and went inside their were maybe 8 more people inside already , the initial person of contact ( young girl with dark hair ) greeted us and said you can sit across from each other or side by side but don’t skip seats. My daughter and I chose the last table to the back so I can sit close to the instructor, about 5 mins later another couple came and sat at the end of the table since they were waiting on 2 others to show up. Around 12:40 2 women come in and said they have a table of 7 , the girl that greeted us originally tells me and my daughter to move so the ( late comers can sit together ) I was flabbergasted and lost for words, embarrassing and my daughter and I moved to another table that was holding a seat and so we moved again, my daughter said Mom I just want to go, she said she felt like we had purchased the nose bleed seats and tried to sit in the reserved section (smh) . I made a choice to not the late comers or the young lady that I found out was just the assistant. Now when Maggie ( THE OWNER ) begin the session it was an awesome experience and we were both glad we stayed ! If the top experience never happened , I would give Maggie and the event a 10/10… and yes I would do it again ! She’s relocating and I look forward to see what she has to offer. So I can’t just leave a complaint without a suggestion to clear the complaint: I suggest maybe assigning seats when people register so you know who’s sitting where and people can just come in and find their name or number. And/Or let larger parties know early that they need to arrive with their group if possible to be seated together so the experience is comfortable for everyone. Now on another note… The King Cakes are so good and most !!!

I usually order from Ambrosia Bakery, but since I’ve found this shop I haven’t been anywhere else since. I’ve ordered graduation, baby shower, and birthday cakes! Everything is always fresh, never frozen. The owner is one of the sweetest and most helpful people I’ve ever met. I am always recommending this place to friends and family. I’ll definitely be placing more orders for the holidays!

I ordered a cake for my moms wedding, and it was absolutely beautiful. Exactly what we asked for! Wedding planning is stressful so I had many questions and they were always answered. The cake was made even more beautiful than the references I sent in, and it tasted amazing! They delivered the cake exactly when they said they would. 10/10 recommend! Will be ordering again!

Wow! The owner is truly a professional and has found something so fun to add to Baton Rouge. I participated in the king cake making class and found the value and time very appropriate. It helped that the king cake was delicious and I get to say that I made it (just don’t look too closely because appearance wise it wasn’t my best). However, I learned during this class about different king cakes and really enjoyed that the owner had conversations that felt directed at me even though there were about 40 of us participating all at once. She was attentive and kind and I would certainly consider signing up for her regular cake making classes as well. It was a great time and such a fun and neat experience.

Eloise has been my go to for over a year. When a mishap happened with another baker for my mom’s 60th birthday I was stressed to find someone who could help me on short notice. I contacted Eloise and she immediately got to work! The cake turned out amazing and the turnaround was FAST. Ever since then I go to her for any cake or sweet needs. I’ve gotten my son’s birthday cupcakes from them as well as sweet trays for my baby shower. During this summer I took my son after school to get delicious snowballs. Just an all around amazing shop. She has not disappointed me yet!

First of all - the cookies are really yummy. JUST crispy all around, but still moist (without being undercooked) in the middle. They are decorated well, too. Second: the ladies at the Baton Rouge store are SO nice. I placed an order online (for Valentine’s Day) and arrived to pick it up. The manager brought out my order and said “ya know, we were not happy with the colors as they looked on the website and we think this is more peach than red…so we made you a whole different tray in more traditional colors. You take your pick.” That is EXCEPTIONAL customer service!!

I've tried many cookie places in town, but Cookies by Design truly stands out as the best! Their cookie cakes are not only incredibly fresh and delicious, but they also look stunning. I love how I can give them an idea or theme, and their talented artists bring it to life with beautiful, custom designs. This place never disappoints. Ordered a cookie bouquet for my little nephew, to wish him a speedy recovery from appendectomy. I ordered after hours, online at 8pm last night and he already received his delivery this morning! What great service!! And…he loves the cookies!

Paid a lot for a birthday Cookie Bouquet and they put (huge) cookies in the basket with someone else’s name. My husband’s name is not Chris and he’s not 30. This was clearly intentional just to use it somewhere. TACKY!!!! I sent a message two days before this review and they never responded.

I've ordered bouquets from the Baton Rouge shop for my Mom (in a nursing home) quite a few times now. She loves the cookies! They are always fresh and the bouquet is so colorful! I wish I had discovered them several years earlier. Delivery is always on time and they text or call to let me know once they've been delivered.

I purchased the buzzard bouquet with two added customized cookies for my best friends 50th birthday and it turned out incredible. I actually messed up her birthday by a day and Gene was very gracious and had it delivered right on time. I highly recommend Cookies by Design Baton Rouge. Great people, great service.

As the founder and CEO of Amoree’s Journey, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to children with complex medical needs, I’ve been through enough to know when something feels off. Today, inside Cake Goddess, LLC in Baton Rouge, something absolutely did. I needed a birthday cake for my daughter. Her celebration had been postponed, so we were grabbing something simple and ready-made. A stock cake with her name on it would have been perfect. I wasn’t being picky. I wasn’t making a fuss. I just wanted her favorite color… hot pink… for the writing. The woman behind the counter showed me two shades. I preferred the darker one but was concerned about the taste. Red dye, as most people know, can have a bitter, unpleasant aftertaste. I asked if she could dab a little of the icing onto something so I could check it. Not to eat… just to see the color and maybe smell it. She looked at me like I had asked her to ice a ten-tier cake during a hurricane. Then she took the piping bag… wiped it on a trash bag inside a trash can… squeezed some icing onto a fork… and handed it to me. I didn’t taste it. I simply looked at J, the nurse who was helping with the cake, and asked her which color looked better. She chose the lighter one, and that’s what we went with. After we paid, I asked if the woman could toss the fork for me, since there was no trash can in the customer area. She picked up the same trash can and held it out for me to drop it in. I cannot say for sure whether this was racial bias, poor judgment, or sheer carelessness… but I can say with confidence that I will never return to Cake Goddess. If it had been my money, I would have walked out. No question. But J was covering the cake… so I let it slide. That doesn’t mean it was right. No one should ever be handed food or even food decoration that came from something wiped on a trash bag. That is not just unsanitary… it is unacceptable. This wasn’t just about a cake. It was supposed to be part of a celebration for a medically fragile child who has faced more challenges than most adults ever will. And instead of joy, I walked out with frustration, disappointment, and a heavy feeling in my chest. To the owner… this should never happen to anyone. Not ever again.

I ordered a first birthday cake and paid $193. I Live 9 minutes from the store. Came home and put it directly in the refrigerator as instructed. They recommend getting it out of the fridge 1 hour before you want to eat it. I took it out of refrigerator and put it on the table and with in 30 minutes it started bubbling on the side. The Owner said they can’t control the heat outside so if the cake melted there is nothing they can do. However, this problem was not a cake that was melting from heat. I live 9 minutes from their shop. This cake was having problems from the buttercream not sticking to the cake. I’ve never had a cake bubble up like that. Then after a little while longer, a whole piece of the buttercream came completely off the cake. This did not happen to the buttercream on the smash cake and so it was not a heat issue. It could have been something from the cake being too hot or cold when they put the buttercream on because the icing came off clean from the cake. No icing does that. Was there no crumb coating? It’s disappointing a local shop doesn’t stand behind their work. Things happen and to not take responsibility is sad. Buyer beware because it was embarrassing to have a cake look like this at such a special event!

By far this cake was the best it was super delicious super fresh it came out of the show case it was better than any cake Ambrosia‘s have , ambrosia cakes in there showcase never fresh. Cake Goddess get a💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

Ordered a strawberry cake last minute for my girlfriends birthday. The ladies at Cake Goddess nailed it. Everything was perfect. The cake was delicious and gorgeous. The frosting was amazing. I will definitely be using this bakery again. A++ work.

I ordered a Smash cake and cupcakes for my little girl’s first birthday and they were both a hit! The adults devoured the delicious almond cupcakes and my daughter had a blast tearing into her cake. The cake was almost too cute to destroy!

I always love going to Jeremiah's. Their Italian ice is so spot on with flavor. I finally got the chance to grab a couple quarts to bring home. I also picked up the Mardi gras king cake Italian ice and it was just like a king cake. You will have an impossible time picking just 1.

Best new dessert I've had in a while. Sort of a niche product but well worth repeated visits. Most all flavors have been delicious. Second location opening in Gonzalez soon.

If you like ice cream and Italian ice together… this place is amazing! If you have never tried it, you definitely should! Service is quick and they are friendly and will help you choose flavors. If you have never tried before there are samples. The strawberry and lemon are delicious with vanilla ice cream. Even bought some to take home and enjoy later.

I’ve never had Italian ice, let alone gelati or anything so this was a first experience for me. The person working there was super friendly and gave me a good recommendation for my gelati! Not to mention it was super tasty so I’m definitely gonna be a regular from now on.

I ordered a King cake from them and it was $20! The king cake was very good. It was baked very well and was fluffy and not dense like some king cakes are. It wasn’t too sweet and did not have an extreme amount of cinnamon.

I called to get a traditional king cake. The lady on the phone said they have it available to purchase. When I arrive to the bakery, it was fresh out of the oven. Very fluffy and taste great! Highly recommend this place!

I lived here in 2013 and bought a couple cakes from this place that were good. However, now 2021, regarding the interior, not very delightful, fake pastries and cupcakes in the window, nothing fresh…looks scary. I went in for a pie but they didn’t have any. I ordered a Napoleon even though I was skeptical and I should’ve gone with my instincts. They assembled it while I waited, and literally came up to the front to grab some Hershey’s chocolate syrup. It was $4.39, which I wouldn’t mind paying for a quality bakery item but as you can see in the image, this is not that, and the taste is subpar at best. Save your money and go somewhere reputable.

Went in to get a last minute cake & the owner was very nice & accommodating. Decorated one on the spot while I waited & it came out beautiful. And tasted soooo good!! The almond wedding cake flavor was delicious!

Been using Tredici for years now for all my baked good requests, and they have never disappointed! They’re great at replicating a photo that you send in for inspiration, altering it, and any other requests. It helps that the flavors are great every time, too, and always fresh! I personally feel the prices are reasonable, too, for such great quality. I recommend everyone here as their first option when they’re looking for a bakery!

It's been three weeks since my wedding and I still have guests still raving about the wedding cake and the grooms cake! The cakes were so good that at the end of the night nothing was left (I even saw people who swear off sweets go back for seconds!!). I also really appreciated Monica's communication, the variety of flavors to choose from, and how affordable her prices are for the high quality of the cakes. Manning takes great care to serve a perfect cup of coffee every time, they prepare everything in front of you. They grind the beans, prepare the espresso puck and steam the milk flawlessly in a way that you can’t get at mortar and pestle cafe’s. Manning clearly knows their machine and brewing methods and has their coffee dialed in, with no exaggeration it is the best coffee I’ve had.

A fantastic pick-me-up to start the day. Unbelievable personal service by Manning! Loved their coffee, which was a strong bouquet of a powerful and memorable brew...and the locally made croissant was divine! Can't wait to go back!

This is the best coffee I’ve had in my life, and I’ve had a LOT of coffee! To say this place is better than my favorite spot back home speaks volumes. I will now go out of my way to stop here when I’m in Baton Rouge. The owners are making your order, so customer service is top notch. They roast the beans in house and have perfected the pull. I’ve never tasted such a fresh, smooth, and delicious coffee at such a reasonable price! I get the white mocha (hot), but another lady commented that their matcha drink was the best she’d ever had, even over her own. They have something special going on for sure!

I’ve been a huge fan of Sucre since they first opened on Magazine St years ago. I was excited to hear of the BR store opening! Their King Cakes are the most beautiful and delicious I’ve ever had, worth traveling the hour to pick up! All of their treats are beautiful and delicious. Reminds me of the wonderful French Pastry Boutique in Paris called Lauderie.

This was the driest king cake ever. There was absolutely no filling. We just had one from Rouses this weekend, and it was so much better. We wasted $40. Don't do the same.

A hidden gem! This spot boasts exquisite pastries, mouthwatering cookies, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly, making every visit a delight. I’m honestly surprised it’s not flooded with five-star reviews—it’s a must-visit, and I’ll definitely be back!

We didn’t take pictures, but got a sample of a few different things. My husband got some gelato and loved it. We then got a piece of king cake, a strawberry cupcake, a lemon petit four, and another pastry with a honey mouse and a raspberry filling. Everything was awful, besides the gelato. The king cake was dry and hardly any cinnamon flavor, with a hard icing. The strawberry cupcake was also just a dry vanilla base with a whip cream strawberry frosting? For $8 or $9 ? And the lemon petit four tasted completely plastic and extract-y. And the other pastry was inedible also. Bummed we spent $40 here and skipped out dessert at our restaurant when we could have had something better quality. The workers were very polite and nice and it’s a Beautiful place. But that’s all it had going for it.

Went in to get a quick dessert. Service was good, but you can tell that the employees are not used to starting conversations with customers. I wouldn’t say that these desserts are necessarily worth the price.

I’m so excited to have a Sucré in Baton Rouge! This store is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. Both king cakes I’ve gotten here were fantastic and I also really liked the macarons. I’m looking forward to trying more things.
