First time here 9/9/25. It was a good experience. Every staff member is extremely professional and pleasant. Every bath is worth trying. The salt bath will make your body float my fav was the peppermint steam room. We received a 45 minute full body massage. My masseuse was okay, could have been a little bit more gentle but overall not bad. Thats the reason for the 4 stars. Our experience was for 2 hours and we definitely got our money worth. The ambiance is breath taking. After leaving here your body will feel relaxed and rejuvenated. You are not allowed to take your phones past the locker room for people's privacy. Im glad it's like that, so you can focus on your relaxation experience. I recommend to visit here.

Very sad, I attempted to reach out Aire directly to hopefully address the issue. Instead was just asked to fill out review. I’ve been trying to return to Aire for 2 years and was genuinely excited for this visit. I even upgraded my package and brought a friend, expecting a luxury experience. Unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing. My massage therapist was clearly very ill—coughing and sniffling throughout the session. I had upgraded to the Orange package with a facial massage, but the therapist struggled to perform the service. At the end, the mask was left on my face without being wiped off, while my guest was cleaned and ready to return to the pool. As a spa owner and myself, I understand how busy this season can be, but there’s no excuse for sending a visibly sick therapist into service or delivering such a careless treatment—especially for nearly $700 experience. This was not the level of care, hygiene, or professionalism I expected from Aire, and I left feeling disappointed and uncomfortable.

This spa was an amazing experience. It’s a bit pricey, but perfect for a romantic evening or a relaxing escape. The space has a beautiful Greek/Roman bath feel, with not only multiple steam rooms infused with scents like eucalyptus and lavender, but also luxurious bathing spa baths to soak and unwind. There’s a cold plunge, relaxing massages available by appointment, and they even provide bathing suits if you need them. Lockers and toiletries are included, which makes it very convenient. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax and enjoy a peaceful, indulgent experience.

My husband and I flew to Chicago specifically to visit AIRE Ancient Baths for our 13th wedding anniversary. I had previously visited in April with friends and absolutely loved the experience, which is why I was excited to return and pamper my husband with the Love Connection 90 service — a 90-minute couples massage and thermal bath experience. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. After spending over 90 minutes in the thermal baths, I asked an attendant when our massages would begin because I didn’t want to miss our service. We were told we were “next” and would start in about five minutes. However, when we were finally brought back, we were placed in separate rooms instead of a couples room as booked. The massages started late and ended early — not our fault, as they were clearly running behind — and the quality of the massages themselves was subpar. When checking out, I asked the receptionist if it was normal to be separated for the Love Connection service. She apologized and confirmed it was not normal, saying she would leave my appointment open for a manager to contact me. The service took place on October 11, and after hearing nothing by October 20, I followed up via email. I received a quick response that my message was being passed to a manager, but now it’s October 24 and I still haven’t heard back. As a spa owner myself, I hesitate to leave negative reviews, but this was a truly disappointing experience — especially given the cost and how highly this spa is rated. The lack of communication and follow-through afterward only added to the frustration. Sadly, I don’t think we’d return or recommend it, which is unfortunate considering how wonderful my first visit was earlier this year.

My experience at Aire Ancient Baths Spa was amazing from start to finish — easy, serene, and completely relaxing. The atmosphere was so peaceful, and the “whisper only” rule really helped maintain a calm, soothing vibe throughout the space. My massage with Gene was incredible — perfect pressure and exactly what I needed. And the cold plunge inside the steam room? Freakin’ AWESOME! Highly recommend treating yourself here.

Wow!! I don’t even know where to start. This whole experience was absolutely amazing, and we left feeling beyond relaxed. The atmosphere is serene. from the moment you walk in, the staff make sure you’re completely taken care of, moving quietly without ever breaking that peaceful spell. Each bath is worth trying, but the cold plunge was easily my favorite. I went back a few times just to feel that rush. It’s not just the temperature shift, but that split second when your body pauses to take a breath and a calm just washes over you. It’s such a strange, grounding peace that I couldn’t get enough of. The warm stone beds felt dangerously comfortable, we had to keep reminding ourselves not to stay too long or we really would’ve fallen asleep right there. The low lighting and quiet, intimate setting make it perfect for a peaceful escape (the whisper rule definitely helps with that). We also loved the salt scrub area; we helped each other out, and our skin felt unbelievably smooth afterward. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. the kind that lingers with you even after you’ve left.

Long post- My husband booked me a 90 minute bath for my birthday weekend for a 8am appointment on a sunday. (Which I highly recommend) being its early morning, less people at that time, and what a great way to start the day. The staff in the women's locker room were so nice and accommodating. The locker area is fairly small- and changing room is mid. Likes: walking out into the baths was a vibe! beautiful beautiful building- loved everything about the baths and the layout. My favorite was the warm bath that went outside. That day it was raining so it was super cool to swim under the bath and be outside. loved the steam rooms- was my absolute fave! love the diversity of staff. Had a great attendant who showed me around the spas. Also mentioning again arriving at 8am was perfect. (less people) Dislikes: This place is BEST with a partner, with a crew. I could NOT fully relax solo when folks around me are chatting, kissing ;-|, It was completely distracting. Bathrooms near pools were not clean. ALSOOOO... I have been to women only baths and i would prefer that than this (unless with others) I personally did not like the feeling of being in a bath with my swimsuit and my eyes closed relaxing, and a man is just above my gaze. Just didnt feel comfortable. Lastly as my 90 mins were near the end I saw something really awful looking floating in the big bath. It immediately turned me off- I got up and told an attendant, she also saw it and told me she would address it. When leaving the baths she went back to her post, and didnt seem as if it was high priority. (just put a bad taste in my mouth) Conclusion: I raise this issue to the front desk- they were apologetic, but still... idk gave me an extra juice which was what my compensation was for my disdain..

Went here last week to use a gift card I had been saving for years (traveling a lot got the best of me, so I was very excited to finally use it!). I was told the facilities were under renovation but that they still had the same level of experience for my massage. Booking was super easy and quick! Just to preface - this service was January 13, so thing might change by the time you read this. When I got off the elevator, I was met with the receptionist sitting at two very crowded folding tables with a cheap table cloth on it. She didn’t even have enough room to prep the clipboard she needed me to fill out. It was all set up in the hallway of a floor of regular hotel rooms. I then moved to the “relaxation room” which was just a hotel room that they took out the bed and put a few chairs and tea maker in. It was embarrassing. The bathroom was in the hallway and you could hear EVERYTHING happening in there. There was no music or sound to ambient the room. And no snacks like trail mix that others had posted about. Just a dead quiet room with chairs where you could have tea and hear people in the bathroom. I was then taken to my treatment room, which again was a regular hotel room that they took the bed out of. The table was super comfortable and the massage was ok. My therapist was a bit too deep in most places - even when I asked him to lighten up. He never asked how the pressure was or checked in along the way, which was disappointing. “Spa music” was playing from his phone. No speaker, just a phone turned up. At the end - I at least expected to be offered to use the shower if I wanted. I was told to get dressed and meet him in the hallway. At check out I asked if the pricing was discounted considering they didn’t have any of the normal spa amenities. The receptionist smiled and nervously said “no” as she fumbled with the clipboard again. Very disappointed in this service and the environment. If their spa is under renovation, they should not offer services. If I wanted to walk into a room and receive a decent massage, I would have gone to massage envy. Stay away from the peninsula while they are under renovation. They should be embarrassed to change the prices for what they are currently offering.

I have always enjoyed my services at the Peninsula. And this time was no exception, Chanel, Nona and the rest of the team as they made this time even great after a scheduling issue happened at the last minute, they accommodated their error and rectified the situation with kindness. I totally recommend this spa and this team, will definitely be back!

Neela did the best job for my 60 min massage! I loved it! She was so attentive , detail oriented. Even gave me a glass of champagne after since it was my birthday. Facility was so clean, calm, & just what I needed! Love! Can’t wait to come back & im still here while writing this review! 😛

We just had an amazing spa day at the Peninsula! We did a full day package as part of a birthday weekend, and it was everything we hoped for. The amenities like the pool and steam room were just so luxurious. We did a full day of services, and every single one was magical. The techs were all clearly knowledgeable and professional but also very kind and personable. Lunch was also delicious and delivered poolside. We had such an amazing time, we’re already scheming to get back to the Peninsula as soon as possible!

I gave The Peninsula Spa a chance to make things right privately, but after their dismissive response, I’m sharing publicly. Our February visit was a mess from start to finish. First, my partner was forced to cancel his massage day-of because the only female therapist left, and the spa offered nothing to compensate. No alternative service, no discount, just a hollow apology. For a luxury spa, that’s unacceptable. The makeshift "spa" during renovations was just a basic hotel room. No amenities, no robes, no daybeds, no changing area…yet they still charged full luxury prices. I’ve since been told their spa looks no different post-renovation, with the locker room still needing a desperate facelift. The worst part? My facial. Without exaggeration, the worst I’ve ever had anywhere. Grace, the aesthetician, was late, unprepared, unsure what facial I was getting, and completely uninterested in my skin concerns. Instead, she pushed an upsell she couldn’t explain, then gave a chaotic, disjointed service…mostly applying products and then leaving them on my skin while she disappeared or buzzed about the room. Zero flow, zero care, zero expertise. It got worse when she ended with a chemical peel, without asking about my skin or routine, when I had requested a hydrating and soothing facial! My face burned instantly. Not only did she admit that she had no clue what product she used on my face, only after I reacted did she ask if I used retinol (I do, nightly). Then she blamed me saying, “Don’t you know you’re supposed to stop retinol a week before a facial?” First of all, no you’re not. Second, it’s her job to ask. My skin was left inflamed and peeling due to her negligence. This $500 facial was a disaster. I’ve never wanted a facial to end so badly. But despite zero amenities, terrible service and a complete lack of ambiance, The Peninsula still charged full luxury prices during its renovation. They refunded me but didn’t offer a complimentary or discounted service as a goodwill gesture, just access to their facilities, which felt like a joke.

The spa level does not live up to the hotel’s name. The place is not meant for relaxation and peace; it is very small and has no facilities. The relaxation area is actually in the hallway at the spa entrance. Despite that, the service prices are high. I gave it one star only because the therapist who did my massage was extremely professional. It was a shock to me, and I do not recommend it at all.

I recently visitted Allyu Spa with a gift card from my husband, for their Earth package (90-minute facial, 90-minute massage, and spa mani/pedi), plus added on scalp massage, costing $550. While the ambiance was beautiful and staff were friendly, the experience had several shortcomings. Treatments • Facial (10/10) – Incredibly relaxing, and my face is glowing. This was my favorite part. • Massage (8/10) – Overall good, but pressure was inconsistent, sometimes feeling like poking. • Spa Mani/Pedi (7/10)– Pedicure was great, but no foot or hand massage, and polish clean-up around cuticles was lacking. Additionally excessive finger pulling left me with lingering hand pain, and knuckle pain, lasting now 3 days, and requiring pain medication. Billing Issue & Customer Service: Upon checkout, I was surprised to be told that I owed an additional $54 despite the spa package stating that all gratuities were included. When I inquired, the staff explained that the package price had increased since the time of purchase, and I was being charged the difference. This was a concerning policy, as prepaid services should be honored at the original purchase price. I called the manager the next day, and only after some reluctance was the extra charge refunded. Final Thoughts: While Allyu Spa provides a luxurious and beautiful setting, inconsistent service and customer care left me disappointed. I would not return.

Request Natalie!!! 🔥🔥🔥 My skin is still glowing 3 days later. I got the peptide facial and it was INCREDIBLY relaxing. I’ve gotten tons of facials but Natalie is the only esthetician who completely removed the blackheads from my nose and chin. There is literally NOTHING. They’re smooth and glassy! I will definitely be going back and requesting her.

The most HEAVENLY spa! I fly from out of state once a month to see Sarah for a facial and Danny or Jenn for a massage! The Atmosphere is calm, the Energy is uplifting, and any Stress I have immediately goes away the moment I step foot in the door here! I won’t go anywhere else! 🤍

I would not recommend going here for chakra work. I’ve been twice, once for a chakra balancing massage and then for just chakra balancing. I was fascinated after the first appointment hearing about my past lives or hereditary traits that could’ve been passed down. But the second time I came in feeling very positive and left feeling anxious and misunderstood. I’d been pretty vulnerable and honest and felt like she projected her experiences and opinions versus giving intuitive direction. The session was also ended with a suggestion to post my vacation on Instagram to keep the guy I’m interested in guessing… a guy has done nothing wrong and I thought that was a pretty petty thing for an “intuitive healer” to suggest. I will not be returning.

Hands down, the best spa in Chicago. My wife and I have been many times and have never been disappointed. Their couples packages are a great deal for special celebrations or when you just need some relaxing time together. The spa has a great vibe and I will personally vouch for the showers and complimentary tea selection. All of the therapists and estheticians I've encountered have been skilled and professional. Special shout out to Edith, a massage therapist, who my wife plans to request whenever possible in the future for being especially good. Their host staff is also very friendly and accommodating, especially Carla. She offered to steam a dress shirt that got wrinkled in my spa bag (my fault for throwing it in).

If I lived in Chicago, this would be my pedicure place. Maria was absolutely amazing! (Pedicure) The whole atmosphere exuded peace and tranquility. I honestly didn’t know the price walking in, because I was with a group, but i figured I’d be paying a lot. To my surprise, it was reasonable and if I’m ever in Chicago again, I’m totally fitting that in. 💕

10/10 experience! The staff was amazing and my therapist Colleen & Mark did wonders for my sessions! I started off with a gym session and shower before getting my services. After that I got a Diamond Glow Facial and signature massage. Both therapist were informative and very professional. The staff made me a mocktail since I do not drink alcohol and it was very tasty. I came for a birthday trip and this was worth every penny. Definitely on the pricey side, but it I throughly enjoyed myself all around! When I come back to Chicago I will be back!

Waldorf Astoria Spa is the real deal. I treated myself to the 90-minute Signature Massage with CBD oil for $250. The ambiance is straight out of a dream—chandeliers, soft lighting, and calming music. My therapist, Mark, worked magic on my back and shoulders. Afterward, I relaxed in the eucalyptus steam room and sipped on vanilla bean-infused water. Highly recommend for a top-tier spa day!

I enjoyed my spa experience here. The staff were very nice and friendly. I had a facial treatment and Lana was my aesthetician. She was wonderful. She pampered my skin and loved the result.

They have simply always, always, always been the kindest, warmest place to celebrate another trip around the sun. My esthetician, Colleen, is out of this world. I love working with her, and it is so apparent in her work and approach that she genuinely cares about her clients and their comfort. I will always rave about my experiences here. 13/10.

Selena provided the best manicure and pedicure service at the Waldorf Astoria Spa. The spa is relaxing and just what I needed between two busy football weekends at Notre Dame. The prices are significantly less than the spa I usually go to in Boston. Treat yourself!

WOW is how I feel every time I stop by 🤩 beautiful space, amazing offerings and friendly employees! The first time I came with a friend we got a tour and both of us were eager to book spa appointments by the end (if our budgets would have allowed at the time lol). Everything here is just amazing with many unique items I haven’t seen anywhere else. The only downside was when I last came I realized I left my wallet at home and they don’t have a tap to pay option. If I could have used ApplePay I would have had a very satisfying candle haul visit lol. It’s also really nice they have a free crystal bowl at the register, a nice gift to choose before leaving 💎

I've been coming here on and off for several years when time allows. The massages are top notch. I've had services solely with Jose up until today when I met Ron. While Jose has hands that provide the ultimate relaxation, Ron was focused today on really working some kinks out of me. It was incredible. I could hear my sinuses breaking up mucus as Ron worked my overall body. It felt like Ron was rubbing all the bad energy down from my head and out my feet and hands. I was a drooling, snotty mess after. I have resigned myself to a life rarely having clear enough sinuses to breath in through my nose with ease. How this human did what he did is next level. I will say, if you don't like that type of pressure, be sure to note that. I was fine with it. He did mention before hand he likes to really dig, so I felt mostly prepared. Both Jose and Ron are both masters of their crafts.

I was given a gift card for the spa and made an appointment for the foot retreat. They ask you to come thirty minutes early for paperwork, which is very quick. I was given a tour of the facility, shown to the locker room and given a robe. You can take advantage of the wet sauna, two dry saunas and relaxation lounge with heated loungers while you wait. Very relaxing atmosphere. My treatment was done by Christine and she was wonderful. The room is a little bigger than I am used to which was nice. After treatment you can use the pool and hot tub, though I didn't. It is an expensive spa so not something I would do regularly but as a treat it was perfect.

Started with a private yoga session, then hit the herbal sauna and Himalayan salt room before diving into the gold body glow treatment. The 50-minute customized massage was next-level, and the 24K facial had my skin glowing like the Bean on a sunny day. Wrapped it up with lunch and a glass of bubbly by their stunning indoor pool—felt like royalty. If you're looking to treat yourself or celebrate something special, this place is a no-brainer.

I truly love The Langham and always recommend it to friends. For the past three years, I've been making it a tradition to stay in one of your high-category rooms and spend my free time relaxing in your beautiful spa. It’s always been a wonderful experience — until today. Unfortunately, this recent visit was overshadowed by several issues. First, I encountered significant difficulties while trying to book an 80-minute couples massage. We were not informed in advance that after the massage, we would have no time to enjoy the rest of the spa facilities. We didn’t realize this right away, and by the time I quickly showered, we were about 15 minutes late exiting the spa area. When I came out and tried to ask Irina at the front desk what was happening — while my husband was still changing — she was visibly upset and didn’t even respond to my question. Her facial expression made it very clear that we were not welcome. Prior to our visit, communication with Irina had also been very difficult — she would take up to three days to respond to simple questions or didn’t reply at all. Thankfully, another staff member — an American woman — eventually stepped in and helped us complete the booking. Thanks to her, we were able to enjoy what turned out to be a lovely evening at your spa. I still love your hotel and want to continue coming back, but I sincerely hope you take this feedback into consideration. Irina’s attitude and service were not in line with the high standards of The Langham. I believe she either needs additional training or some internal review, as her behavior can really ruin what should be a relaxing and welcoming experience.

Just had the most relaxing day at Cowshed Spa in the West Loop, and it was worth every penny. Dropped about $190 on the Cowgroom Indulgent treatment, which included a spearmint salt scrub, shoulder massage, facial, chamomile-and-rose infused brow shaping, and my choice of a mani or pedi . The rustic-chic vibe, with Midwestern barn wood and crystal chandeliers, made the space feel cozy yet upscale . The staff was super friendly and attentive, making sure I was comfortable throughout the entire experience. I even enjoyed some avocado toast and a glass of wine from The Allis during my treatment . If you're looking to treat yourself or someone special, this spot is a must-visit.​

I have been getting my nails done by Bebe for over a year now, and she is truly exceptional. Her artistry and precision were a constant throughout my entire bridal season, and my wedding manicure was absolutely flawless! Despite having to get my nails done a whole week before my wedding (we were traveling to Italy), my manicure remained absolutely perfect – a testament to her meticulous work and the incredible care she puts into every detail. I adore Bebe and wouldn't trust anyone else with my nails. She is simply the best!

The spa facilities are nice and relaxing, there are showers and changing rooms/ rest areas to use before/after the treatments. The massage was great and very professional. It is on the pricier side and appointments book up quickly.

Walked in with fresh and bright skin and well maintained eyebrows which had been tinted. Specifically asked them to be really careful with them as I had events on for the week. Walked out with dull skin and with the tint and shape ruined. Really upset as you hope to leave a facial looking refreshed and glowing… and also with my eyebrows.

This morning marked the third time my appointment was canceled at the last minute—within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time, despite having booked it more than two weeks in advance, completed all necessary paperwork, and confirmed the appointment beforehand. The first two cancellations occurred while I was already en route in a rideshare, and today, I arrived 10 minutes early only to find out that the technician was unavailable. Adding to the frustration, I was asked if this was my first visit, which suggests a lack of attention to my customer history. Would it really take the sting of being told that an appointment was canceled if it were my first visit? Although the management offered a complimentary visit next time and mentioned other available services, these gestures do not fully compensate for the recurring inconvenience and poor handling of scheduling. This particular visit was a special treat for myself as away of celebrating a successful Spring quarter since I am a graduate school student. In conclusion, while the quality of the actual pedicures is commendable, the management's repeated last-minute cancellations and overall lack of organization have significantly impacted my satisfaction. I am hesitant to return, even with the offer of a complimentary service, unless there are clear improvements in how appointments are managed. Future patrons should be aware of these potential scheduling issues when planning their visit.

Providing a disclaimer the Spa is not exclusive to only Spa guests, would be nice. As a female, I was very uncomfortable when I noticed three men while in a robe. After ordering food and being told "give me your card", the food service employee should have explained where he was taking my card to pay for the food I ordered. The only good part was Senada who provided my sister and I with the best massage. Outside of that, nothing was relaxing. No one came in to check and see if there was anything needed. My sister wasn't offered any Rose. She realized I was offered a glass, and walked to the counter to get it herself. The same cups before my massage from other patrons were still in the "relaxation" room after my massage. I was told to help myself to a snack, but it was empty the entire time with trash on the table. The overflow of towels in both dressing rooms was unexpected. I just gave up and waited for my sister to be done with her massage. I visit day spas often, and to my surprise The Ritz-Carlton Chicago, was the absolute worse. Ola tried her best, but management needs to get her some help.

This review in no way reflects my hotel stay experience. It is specific to my time spent in the spa. I have traveled extensively and have enjoyed pampering at a multitude of spas around the world. In my humbled opinion, even though this spa is scrupulously clean & the staff is very professional, the spa itself falls short regarding quality of services offered for the price, amenities & privacy. The locker room is shared with the pool, therefore if there are children playing expect noise & some level of chaos. Although that doesn’t sound like a real deal breaker, if you’re paying $200+ to decompress, you may just want to be mentally prepared to share your changing/showering area with small children. My masso was very nice & professional but I would rate my massage a 3/5. I liked the spa but it wasn’t extraordinary for the price.

To preface, Maya and Grace were both very kind and genuinely tried to resolve the situation, I want to acknowledge that upfront. That said, I left The Ritz Spa confused, disappointed, and frankly, unimpressed. I will not be returning. I had booked a last-minute nail appointment while in Chicago for an impromptu birthday trip. Upon arrival, I was seated in the nail area to wait. My beautician (Maya) then led me into a closed-off treatment room (typically used for facials or massages). At first, I assumed this was simply to change into a robe, though it struck me as odd for a manicure. She returned then handed me the add-on menu, for facial upgrades. I was then kind of confused asked whether the facial was included and that I booked a manicure she confidently told me yes. Given that I’ve received complimentary upgrades for my birthday at other luxury spas, I naturally assumed this was the case. After, I asked when my manicure would begin, and only then was it revealed there had been a complete miscommunication. I was escorted to the front desk, where the experience became much worse. Maya was apologetic, but another woman at the desk was shockingly unprofessional.. cold, curt, and visibly irritated, as though I had somehow caused the issue! Without a trace of empathy, she goes 'what' she told me I now owed $200 for the facial. No apology for the mix up or offer to check if they had another manicure booking which I had no issue paying for if they had availability, just a condescending look. I was the one who had to ask for more nail appointments.... When I met her with no reaction, she suddenly shifted and said, “Well, I guess we can discount you today.” The “discount” she applied, 20% off. happened to equal the same amount as the additional service fee she had just added.. Since she hand-typed everything in, I couldn’t help but feel she manipulated the numbers to make it appear I was receiving a gesture when in reality, I wasn’t. For context: I wasn’t upset at first. I had been sipping champagne, was relaxed, and wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. But being spoken to like that, here, of all places, was beyond unacceptable. Grace eventually returned, sincerely apologized, and kindly tried to smooth things over by offering to only charge me for the manicure. Both Maya and Grace were frustrated with each other saying neither clarified to each other what service I was receiving, and were placing blame on each other. Still, I left without the service I had originally booked, and with the distinct impression that transparency and professionalism were sorely lacking. To their credit, management later comped the service and offered a complimentary manicure for my next visit only after I ASKED for the management's number. And yes, the facial itself was pleasant, and Maya was wonderful, But the fact remains: the experience was disorganized, communication was nonexistent, and the behavior of the front desk staff was beneath the standard of a luxury establishment. In short, Maya and Grace were gracious, the other front desk woman was absolutely not. but the overall service was a mess. I won’t be back.

Disappointing Mother's Day Experience I visited the spa on Sunday, May 12th, for a Mother's Day massage and facial arranged by my husband. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory, making my first Mother's Day out of state quite disheartening. I specifically communicated to my masseuse that my neck and lower back needed focused attention. Despite this, these areas were barely addressed. The massage felt more like an application of oil rather than a therapeutic session. Even after requesting deeper pressure, I was told I needed to specify how much pressure to apply. While I understand the need for communication, I believe it's also the professional's responsibility to inquire about pressure preferences, especially at the start of the session. This oversight significantly detracted from the relaxation and therapeutic benefits I expected. The facial was equally disappointing. It felt like a joke, with frequent tapping and what seemed like paws applying product to my face, rather than a soothing treatment. Considering the premium price paid for this service, I was greatly disappointed. This experience has left me very dissatisfied, especially as it was meant to be a special treat for my first Mother's Day. I've even had to ask my husband not to gift a massage at a hotel spa in the future, despite his kind gesture. As someone who frequently gets massages and facials at other locations with exemplary service, the experience at "The Ritz" was particularly disappointing. I hope the management addresses these issues to improve the customer experience in the future.

Daniela at the Ritz Carlton Spa in Chicago is hands down the best aesthetician in the world🌎. I am not joking when I say this because she is amazing at her job due to her experience, she handles everything with such care, and is so knowledgeable. I went for the first time last year for my birthday, and she made it such an unforgettable experience that it is now part of my birthday tradition to see her every year. She is the sweetest, most kind and thoughtful person and my skin is glowing and no other facial has made me feel this amazing. Thank you Daniela for being amazing at what you do and she’s a big reason why I came back and will continue to come back here.

Spent the day enjoying spa amenities. Sad there was no hottub/whirlpool but steam and sauna were perfect for snowy winter day! Nail treatment was excellent with Janet. Will visit again!

I'm not sure why I didn't come here sooner because it was such an amazing spa experience! I only got a 50 minute massage, and my therapist made the most of it (but I'll make sure to book a longer session next time!). Also, the bathrobes are the softest I've ever felt! The kicker was the extras too like we were able to order the in room dining menu to the spa, the service is unbeatable! I can't wait to schedule another, much longer service lol.

Had my hair cut and colored by Jay Jay (also known as Jason) at Kohler. He's a newer stylist there but he has been cutting my hair for over 25 years. He's an absolute doll and as a curly-haired woman of a certain age, I would not let anyone else touch my hair! Today was the first time I had him dye my hair - for years, I have been doing it myself but they discontinued my color. I was a little stressed about it - as much as I trust Jay Jay, professional color is new to me. He could not have been more amazing about it - he talked me through the process, worked with me to pick the color, and made sure I was 100% happy before I left. And I was! He did a fabulous job and I love the result. And my hair feels SO much better than it usually does when I self-color. You will not go wrong using Jay Jay for anything you need for your hair (especially if you need a curly hair expert!), and you will love Kohler Lincoln Park. everyone is super nice, the facilities are beautiful, the snack-and-beverage situation is fabulous, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for that level of service. Call Jay Jay!

I decided to book a recovery treatment after completing the Chicago Triathlon, a little reward for months of training. Unfortunately, I left in more pain than I came in. There was a LARGE puddle outside of the cold plunge tub that I tried to walk around, but my left foot ended up slipping into the sharp, hard edge of the tub. It ripped a large chunk of my nail clean off. It’s been almost a month and my toe is still bruised and blue, still in pain! When I brought this to the attention of the staff, I was offered a 20% off my appointment and that a manager “would give me a call” to follow up. I NEVER heard from anyone from the spa after that. I’ve been in pain, my toe is still discolored, and there has been no response from the team here. It’s a real shame, the amenities here are lovely- but the staff is nowhere to be found, not to mop up the wet pool decks, check in on guests, or follow up on an injury. Not the relaxing experience I paid nearly $300 for…..

Me and my husband had a great time. I’ve been here a total of two times now, we had the Vichy shower. He had the rain man and I had the lavender one. The massage therapists were great. Only complaint that I have is that they took away the granola bars. I was looking forward to those. It’s also time to replace the water containers around the facility. The rims are growing black mold it seems or some type of dirt. Hope you guys see this and make a change im too nice to just complain right out forwardly. Also I thought that fridays is considered a weekday but I got charged weekend prices.

I had a great time at Kohler Waters today. I’ve searched for a new spa in the city for a while and finally found one I enjoy. The massage was incredible and they listened all of my requests. Each of the calming areas is relaxing and quiet. They try really hard to keep the spaces as quiet and tranquil as possible. There are a lot of signs and rules about technology. I loved my day at Kohler and will be back. Thank you to Tessa for the massage and all the staff there today for helping me on my first day at the spa.

I got a seaweed wrap with Magdalena. I felt truly pampered. It included exfoliation and iodine rich seaweed treatment from France. Also a mini facial. Magdalena did an excellent job checking in with me about my comfort throughout the treatment and explaining the different parts of the treatment. She was friendly and professional. I am giving 4 stars because the locker room could have been cleaner, and the thermal suite needs some care. I came on a Tuesday. Probably better to visit in cooler weather instead of summer.

Overall everyone was very friendly and kind and professional and the massage was top tier and the amenities were awesome . I do want to come again, but I do request that changes be made so that the place can feel more inclusive and welcoming of all women, especially black women. For example, it would be great to have grooming product options in the bathroom which are not only formulated or designed for white women but also for black women. As expensive as the spa is and as luxurious as the vibe is, I don’t think that’s a big ask especially in a city as diverse as Chicago. At the very least, it would be great to have brushes with bristles that are suitable for curly hair. Small changes around the spa area to make it feel more inclusive to black women would definitely make it feel like a business that welcomes and appreciates all customers and not just white customers

I had my hair cut and styled by Jason today, and it was my first visit to the spa. It was a terrific experience from top to bottom. I loved my haircut and felt the prices were extremely reasonable considering the amenities and overall experience. It's a very praceful and relaxing atmisphere where you just can get away from the world for a bit. I loved the idea of a tech-free space, sometimes we need to be reminded to put the phone away and immerse in real life for a moment. i'm very much looking forward to my next visit to use more of the amenities, and will be exclusively going to Jason for all my haircuts from here on out. Absolutely excellent.

This is absolutely the most luxurious hotel I have ever stayed at. Spent a couple of nights in the 1-bedroom lake-view suite on the 10th floor at the beginning of July, and then another couple of nights in a Premier room with a king bed later in July. Each trip was sponsored by an interviewing company for which I am grateful. The first time I reached the Langham was around 1pm on a Sunday and my suite wasn't ready yet, so I handed my luggage to the reception desk (it's on the second floor) and went outside for a stroll and lunch. Got back at 2:30pm and had to wait till around 3:30 for the room, so they gave me complimentary access for the day to their Club lounge on the top floor, and that was pretty amazing! It had different food options at different times of the day, and I could just sit and relax there with food and drinks. My room had fantastic views as well, and at 1200 square feet, dare I say it was spacious. The bathtub and bathroom had every amenity imaginable. My luggage was of course, already brought up by the time I entered my room. Stuff at the minibar was definitely expensive - a small can of nuts was 16 bucks, but you kinda expect that if you're staying at a 5-star hotel. They have a small swimming pool, around 20 yards in length, which I went to, but got out after 10 minutes, because there were too many kids on Sunday evening. The suite had panels for everything - lights, drapes, curtains. It had 1.5 bathrooms plus an extra sink that could be hidden behind a retractable door. The decor of the reception area was also so beautiful - I loved it, and I absolutely did not mind waiting there for an hour.

Staff and service were outstanding. Room fit and finish is exceptional. Location is great for all downtown activities. The one knock is that the views of the rooms on the west side of the building are pretty subpar. Our room basically faced a concrete wall of the hotel next door. When I asked to switch rooms, they told me the only option was to pay for an upgrade, even though I had not been upgraded through the complementary Amex Fine Rewards program. I understand this program is just an upgrade based on availability, but if there was a room available, it was just a bit confusing that I would have to pay for the upgrade. Anyway, really nice hotel overall, just a word of caution if you care about light / views. I imagine the rooms facing the River / North are fantastic.

Our stay at the Langham Chicago was outstanding. All aspects of our stay exceeded expectations. The hotel staff were friendly, courteous, and always willing to assist. We were very pleased with the size of the room. The hotel gym has all the equipment needed for a great workout, and the sauna and steam rooms were a great way to destress. We especially enjoyed the hotel restaurant for breakfast. Overall, I would highly recommend the Langham and look forward to our next stay.

~~~Hotel Stay~~~ Service is amazing. They have valet. The hotel is right next to the Chicago River, great location for finding food downtown. They also have a wonderful restaurant on the 2nd floor of the hotel (Travelle). Their rooms are clean. They have a nice exclusive lounge (I believe it's the top floor) and it has an amazing view of the city. They also have a spa and a pool, but I did not try these when I stayed. ~~~As a Wedding Venue~~~ We had our wedding at The Langham in September 2025. It was the easiest and best decision we have ever made. When we were touring venues for our wedding, we visited The Langham once and we immediately knew we wanted to have our wedding there. While The Langham is indeed luxurious, it was the venue manager, Vasso Power, and her professionalism that blew us away. Her communication was top tier. Which cannot be said for other venues we toured, so we knew from the beginning that we wanted to work with her. We cannot fully express our gratitude for Vasso's attention to detail and work ethic. She was always organized, kind, caring, and considerate of our preferences. We visited The Langham multiple times prior to the wedding. Mainly for walking through with our wedding planner and to show our parents the venue when they were in town. Every time the staff were very professional and we never felt unwelcome. The rooms that the bride and groom get to stay in are amazing, they really spoiled us. The food for the wedding was scrumptious and superb. Often I hear of people's low expectation of wedding food, but your guests will not experience this at The Langham. Everything was delicious! From a guest perspective, I did not hear anything negative regarding anyone's experience at The Langham. My parents were in awe that the staff would open the door and welcome them by name, my dad told me "we will now be comparing everything to The Langham." We loved our wedding here, it was the best day of our lives. Yes, you may have a nice wedding at a different venue, but having a wedding at The Langham is peak luxury, service, and quality. So if you are looking for a wedding venue with beautiful views of the river, excellent service, fantastic food — look no further.

I’ve always loved staying at The Langham Chicago — it’s one of my favorite places in the world, and I’m here often. But over the past year, something feels different. The staff remains as gracious and welcoming as ever, but behind their smiles, there’s a visible weariness. It’s as if the heart of the hotel — its people — is being stretched too thin. The management team, once able to linger for warm, friendly conversations that made the hotel feel like home, now seem constantly pulled into the fray, working alongside their teams just to keep up. What used to feel like an elegant, effortless experience now feels hurried. Please, take care of them. These are the faces I see more often than some of my own family — and they deserve to be supported, not exhausted

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. My husband and I were very thrilled with the experience. The front staff was very welcoming and made his birthday stay feel special. The restaurant was very nice and served good food. We spent one night here at the highest floor, view was the best and the room was very big and luxurious. I would highly recommend this 5 stars Michelin Hotel to anyone considering it.

A great way to relax in the city, lots of options for treatments and a variety of rooms you can experience. Very quiet atmosphere and be prepared to be barefoot/naked. Everyone is polite and mindful of space. The food is a great treat after all the sweating you'll be doing in the sauna, but a little pricey.

Gets it done, but not as good as WiSpa in LA or even Olympus Spa in Seattle. Food was pretty meh, pools weren’t that relaxing or plentiful, and the massage I had left me so sore I could barely walk. The Korean scrub was the best part- skip the facial- not high quality.

What a spiritual awakening for me and my bestie. The fully naked, gender separate area was the most well organized spa I had ever visited. It was clean and sanitized to the point that I would trust eating off the floor. The different saunas and tubs were so titillating. The restaurant inside went crazy- we ate there like 3 times. You can spend what feels like a lifetime in here. Must come again. The warm wood chips went crazy

Nice sauna, but I dint like that in jacuzzi and steam room everybody must be naked without swimming suite. In this crazy woke world that's not good. You would have much more customers If you let people chose themselves if they want to be naked or in swim suite in jacuzzi

I try to come here every 3 months. As a spa owner I could only wish my place was as busy as this place! Services from facials massages reflexology, Korean body scrub, which is my favorite. That’s why I come. You can also visit the salt room tile therapy room the heated base rock rooms. They have movies that are going and many places to just relax here. it is very busy on the weekends. Don’t forget to check out the food. It is very good. You cannot bring in any food or drink of your own. You can always check out the Groupon. They have specials to get in so you’ll pay to get in and then you also have to pay for the different services. They have about six or seven free rooms that you can go into. I love this place because they give you a variety that to come with friends and family. I also believe that you can stay the night. They are open 24/7 now. Plan on spending a couple hundred dollars to pamper yourself. It will be well worth it. The body scrub is the best thing the side of heaven. I cannot take pictures because of privacy inside of the spa so I’m showing you what I can. 🤗 I highly recommend KING spa. I am in the Niles location just outside of Chicago.

King Spa is an exceptional experience. The hot / cold pools area was fantastic, and the Korean full body scrub from Danny was transformative. The food at the cafeteria was fantastic, and the actual spas / saunas were very fun to check out. Highly recommended, I cannot wait to go back.

Not worth what you’re paying, even with the coupon/discount. My friend and I went here after having an unforgettable spa experience in China and this just didn’t compare in the slightest. Even paying $45 (regular price is $70) was not worth it. They were offering hand massages for $100, and that was on the cheaper end. The pools are heated, not hot tub temperature. There are a several small rooms for different temperatures and different decor but nothing extraordinary. A lot of the mats and materials on the floor were sweat stained. Their food is very overpriced, $20 for every entree alone ($15 for 3 little spring rolls) and bland tasting. We went at a slow time of day and it felt too crowded with the little space there is. I think instead of interrupting the spa experience of the guests, the staff should go over rules and regulations before entry, rules posted everywhere and staff constantly monitoring around is not the vibe! Nobody was even talking and a staff member came walking around holding a sign in front of each guest (6 total) to please be quiet. All of us minding our business relaxing in the pools. The man at the entrance was very helpful and polite. Overall not a very pleasant experience, not worth your hard earned money, and anyone raving about this place hasn’t been to an authentic Asian spa. This was disappointing, and a rip off. If you do decide to come here, bring a towel since they only offer 1 hand towel to dry yourself or $5 to rent a towel for the day.

I was disappointed with my experience here. They do not make it clear up front that their SOP (or "admission" fee, under the FAQ section of their website - who reads those when booking at a spa?) is to charge $45 a head to use all their communal facilities, which include their locker rooms with your own locker, sauna, jacuzzi, cold pool, and steam room. You can opt to just get the services you booked, but when initially said I wanted to do that, the woman behind the desk got hostile and gruff. I decided to go ahead and cough the money up to get the full experience. She slapped down a robe, towel and shower shoes on the desk in front of me. I'd wanted to have my massage first and then my facial, but she informed me they'd do my facial first and then the massage. We sat at the bar, where the bartender was the only semi-friendly/gracious staff member I encountered there. When it was time for my facial, the facialist was even gruffer than the receptionist chick. She directed me to lie on the table and pull down my robe a little so she could do the treatment. I told her it I'd be most comfortable just leaving it off and covering myself with the blanket. She actually said, "I don't care what makes you comfortable, I'm just here to do your facial." I should've just left at that point. However, the facial was decent. The massage was disappointing. The massage therapist didn’t ask me if I had any areas I needed her to focus on, as is customary. I asked her for more pressure a couple of times, and she let me know that what she was doing was the best she could do. It wasn't good. In summary, all but one of the staff were amazingly rude, the services were mediocre, and I didn't appreciate the steep, mostly-hidden fee. Will not be returning.

Great sauna. It’s so hot. My favorite was the steam room. Hotter than I’m used to, but it was great. Everything was clean and they have towels, robes, and sandals with the day pass. The price is good.

This bathhouse is wonderful in every way. exactly what is needed. There is everything you might need in a bathhouse, including a sauna with wet steam and a steam room with dry steam. There is also a pool with hot water and, of course, a pool with ice water, in the literal sense of the word, the water is so ice cold that I will compare this water with the water in an ice hole, it’s very cool.

Visited on October 17, 2025 I stopped in and asked the bartender about the drink menu, hoping for a recommendation. Instead, he told me I needed to know exactly what drink I wanted and that he couldn’t help me decide. When I seemed surprised, he added, “This isn’t a dive bar you must be accustomed to.” I laughed awkwardly and said, “Wow, that was petty,” because I was clearly uncomfortable — and then he refused to serve me. I’ve never had a bartender speak to a customer like that before. It was condescending, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. I left feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. Definitely not the kind of attitude anyone should encounter when spending money somewhere. For anyone who’d like to avoid this gentleman, his name was supposedly Hamlet— I may doubt this to be his real name as the rest of the staff said they hadn’t worked here long so they actually didn’t know the gentleman’s name when I did try to corroborate. I honestly left in tears I’ve never in my life been so embarrassed and so unwelcome by a bartender of all people.

Neat place! I really enjoyed their sauna. If you want any of their special services, you definitely need to book beforehand.

I called to book a couple’s massage for my girlfriend’s birthday and specifically requested two female massage therapists. Unfortunately, when we arrived for our appointment, we were assigned a male therapist. It made the experience uncomfortable and difficult to relax, which affected our ability to enjoy the rest of the services. It was also awkward in the moment, as we weren’t informed beforehand and were simply escorted to the room without any communication about the change. Although we told management how we felt and why, I actually left feeling more tense than when I arrived

I booked an appointment here and had a really good experience! The staff were welcoming and made sure everything was well-prepared for me. They provided all the essentials you might need both before and after the appointment, which made the whole process very comfortable. After my massage, they even served me tea, which was such a thoughtful and relaxing touch. Overall, the atmosphere was calming, the service was professional, and I left feeling refreshed and cared for.

Visited here for the first time on Saturday. What an amazing place. The massage was one of the best I've ever received. I felt so much better afterwards. This post could go on and on. Bottom line is if you're looking for a massage or a spa day, go here. Highly recommend

I had a wonderful experience here. Qdoba was phenomenal in the booking experience for a large party, even when there were some bumps along the way. Although people in the party we came with showed their butts and acted like fools bc of a cancellation policy for 2 no shows Adina still graced the bride with a gift after the same bride literally screamed at her. They showed calmness in a storm & they made it easier for me to keep calm & not be so embarrassed by my party who showed no gratefulness or gratitude for the experience they received.

My recent visit here unfortunately a disappointing experience.I found the staff to be unaccommodating. I had booked a specific package with certain requests in mind, but they seemed unwilling to make any adjustments or even listen to the concerns. This lack of flexibility made the entire process feel rushed and impersonal from the start, completely undermining the relaxing atmosphere one would expect from a spa. The services themselves were also not as advertised. The package chosen was marketed to include a number of premium products and techniques. However, the esthetician used generic products that were not what I had paid for. The service included mostly sitting and listening to “relaxing playlists” along with a pedicure chair covered with only heating elements. The promised benefits and luxurious experience were completely inaccurate. Overall, the spa's misleading service descriptions and inability to accommodate a bridal party left me feeling incredibly frustrated and that my money was not well spent. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to improve their customer service and ensure that the services they offer are truly what is delivered.

This place is a complete scam. We put a deposit down for our bridal party. They had over 350$ on hidden fees. And we still “owed” the amount we paid down. All they do is shine hot lights in your face. There IS NO PHYSICAL Massage OR OIL OR LOTION INVOLVED. The bride was in full on tears in the first session and they didn’t have any kind of compensation or comfort. Do a favor and put your money somewhere else.

As a woman who absolutely loves self care days and relaxation I take it very seriously where I spend that time and of course money! I've been to Spa Space a couple of times and both times the experience has been nothing short of amazing. Reasonable prices, relaxing and a calm environment. I had my first every experience at Renee Day Spa and let me say: It. Was. AWESOME. I had a pedicure and a deep tissue massage, each performed by a different woman there (the pedicure was performed by none other than the beautiful, sweet and kind owner herself!). Interaction with both women felt equally familiar AND professional-- the perfect balance. I felt comfortable and I'm very happy with the results of my visit. I don't live in Chicago, but I come for work from time to time. I will definitely visit this spa again. We rolled in straight from Eataly like a trio of over-sugared, under-rested middle-aged women with zero appointments and even less hope—but Renee Day Spa took us in like the broken little stress-goblins we were. No judgment, no side-eye, just kindness, calm vibes, and the quiet understanding that we desperately needed help (and possibly an exorcism for our shoulder tension). They somehow managed to squeeze all three of us in, two at a time, while the third got to take a blissful little spa nap. Honestly, I would’ve paid just for the nap. Now, let’s talk about the massage: it was not one of those feather-light, “is this even happening?” types. No, this was a beatdown in the best way—the kind of deep tissue work that leaves you sore in places you didn’t know could feel feelings. Every knot was found, judged, and destroyed. The staff was warm, kind, and truly committed to giving us the TLC we didn’t know we needed. 10/10 would let them pummel me again. Dropped $150 on a Swedish massage and facial combo here, and honestly, I wish I hadn't. The massage felt rushed and lacked the pressure I specifically asked for—felt more like a light rubdown than a therapeutic session. The facial was underwhelming; my skin didn't feel any different afterward, and the products used had a strong, off-putting scent. The ambiance was lacking too—the room was chilly, and the lighting was too bright to feel relaxing. I expected a serene spa experience but left feeling more stressed than when I arrived. With so many great spas in Chicago, I won't be returning to this one.

We were looking for Hyrox post event recovery and Masters track athlete caliber service and we found it ! April was fantastic!! - I had a Swedish massage. I spent 24 hours in Chicago, staying at the Warwick and I needed a facial and a massage, so I searched, and Renee Day Spa popped up as number two and it was the most amazing European Spa I have been in in over 20 years! Renee the owner is impeccable. She has over 30 years of experience and they use top European products. I had a wonderful facial by Ana and I love the fact that they still use high frequency on your face after your extractions and your mask. I also had a fabulous relaxing Swedish massage. The oils were amazing my whole experience there was fabulous. Price points are incredible too! My skin was glowing and it’s still glowing two days later. I still haven’t put any make up on my face! Please don’t judge by their website or their social media as she has not been updating!Hopefully I’m going to help them but this is one of the best kept secrets and a woman owned local small biz deserves all the love! The new location is stunning on Ontario near Michigan! Perfect for a day spa experience then lunch at Pierrot and some shipping! I can’t wait to come back 💜🦋 🧖!

I originally booked a session with a different spa that had to cancel my appointment at the last minute due to extensive remodeling, which was very upsetting since I was traveling from out of state for it. I called multiple locations looking for last-minute openings and was fortunate enough to find an appointment available at Spa Soak, for which I am grateful. However, I have to say that my experience was quite mediocre. A previous review questioned why this place is called Spa Soak since there are no spa treatments or soaking experiences available, and I found that to be true. In a typical spa, you would receive a robe to change into, but at Spa Soak, you are taken into a room and told, "Okay, I'll be back." The initial intake was minimal, only asking about some focus areas, which seemed surprising for a new client. I had booked an 80-minute hot stone massage. In my past experiences, hot stone massages involved the therapist using the hot stones to apply pressure to tension spots. However, at Spa Soak, the stones seemed to be used simply to warm my body—similar to rubbing your arms for warmth—before the therapist massaged by hand. No pressure was applied using the stones at all. Additionally, the treatment rooms had a lot of light. Although curtains were used to dim the room, they did not create a relaxing atmosphere. The location on a busy street in Chicago contributed to the noise level; I could hear people screaming, cars honking, and music blasting from nearby vehicles. This is understandable in a typical setting, but it was not at all relaxing for a spa experience. Overall, Spa Soak may be suitable for basic treatments, but I wouldn't recommend it as a place for a relaxing escape.

Spa soak is wonderful. I had not been here in years but there is a reason why they have been around for so long. The spa is beautiful, and the staff is absolutely wonderful. I had a signature facial with Tegan and I cannot say enough good things about it. She is extremely diligent with extractions, and extremely knowledgeable about aesthetics. Gave great recommendations for products for my skin and after care. She was absolutely a delight; u will definitely be back to see her again!

Checked out Spa Soak in Wicker Park for a 60-min therapeutic massage—ran me about $100. The massage was decent, but the pressure was inconsistent, and the session felt a bit rushed. The spa has a cozy vibe, but the creaky floors made it hard to fully relax. Staff was friendly, but the overall experience didn't quite match the price point. Might give it another shot, but not in a hurry.

They are SO flexible and professional! Sviatlana did my pedicure, Tegan D. was my massage therapist, and Bailey at the front desk were all so kind and friendly. Absolutely adore this place for a self care day❤️

I had SUCH a great facial here the other day. I went in asking to help hydrate my skin and came out glowing. It's been over 2 weeks and my face is still so soft and smooth. I've also come here for pedicures before and they are spectacular. A true spa experience. Highly highly recommend.

Not a review about the hotel which is great. Absolutely appalling service in the rooftop bar/restaurant! Had to ask 3 different people to bring sugar for coffee which then didn’t come with a spoon. Then all over again when another coffee was ordered and they finally brought saccharine rubbish as they didn’t have any raw sugar left! I said, no, sugar please, so they went to find some from one of the other gazillion options in the building. Really??? Too cool for school. I was with business colleagues who luckily found it amusing but very shoddy, slack, lazy service. Not the first time. Sort it out, Soho House. Have had the same experience many times in London houses too. Perhaps going private again will have the houses working properly like the good old days!

We stayed with Soho House Sept. 12-14 for our wedding across the street, and we are SO happy that we did! From initial check-in, the Soho team made us feel so welcome, even gifting us a bottle of champagne and sweets upon arrival! The "Big" room was absolutely GORGEOUS, and accommodating my bridal party for wedding glam was a breeze. From room service, to the assortment of bath and personal products, to coffee on the rooftop, the amenities and service were amazing! Thank you to the entire Soho Chicago team for making our wedding weekend so special!

Stayed for 3 nights on a business trip. Hotel and room were beautiful, modern and hip. Amenities were top notch. Enjoyed daily complimentary cocktails.

Sharp decline. Gym is disgusting, no climate control or staff. Drinks are bad upstairs and it's understaffed. Music is outdated and overall matches the stale, low class atmosphere. No interesting creatives here anymore, just NPCs and bland 1 dimensional "influencers". The interior has been stagnant for at least 5 years. RIP Soho 🪦

From start to finish, my experience at the Four Seasons Chicago was nothing short of exceptional. I came with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. This is the first time we ever stayed at any Four Seasons hotel. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed outside by the valet, whose pleasant and respectful demeanor immediately set the tone for our stay. Even though we arrived much earlier than 3 PM, check-in was smooth and accommodating, with the front desk staff going above and beyond to make us feel at home. The spa service was absolutely top-notch — from the staff to the amenities, however, the masseuse was truly amazing, delivering one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Every interaction with the staff reinforced why the Four Seasons has such a stellar reputation: every employee we encountered was genuinely friendly, attentive, and eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The room we stayed in was pretty spacious, clean and had an amazing view of Chicago’s skyline. Overall, the Four Seasons truly exceeded our expectations. It’s a great, luxury hotel in the heart of Chicago, can’t say enough about the pleasant staff. We left feeling relaxed, pampered, and eager to return. I would highly recommend!

Great location, clean and well maintained for its age. The staff were very accommodating in food allergy requests in the lobby restaurant. Rooms were great, quiet and comfortable. Facility itself felt super safe, the kids had a great time in the pool. The actual kids room they market and the ice cream sundae experience missed the target a little, but either way, we would definitely stay again!

Overall, I had a very positive experience staying at the Four Seasons. The room, while a bit dated, was comfortable and had all the essentials without needing additional requests. Adorn offers a delicious and well-curated menu, and both the reception and concierge teams were consistently helpful, responsive, and supportive - special thanks to them! The only things that held me back from giving a full five stars were the slow response time from room service and one early morning interaction with a front desk lady who seemed unwilling to assist. That said, the overall service and atmosphere made for a great stay, and I would definitely come back.

We had a wonderful stay at the Four Seasons Chicago while attending a conference with family. The location is safe, vibrant, and perfectly situated near top shopping (Michigan Ave. / Oak St. / Rush St.) and dining. Aster Hall next door is great for quick, quality bites. Service was exceptional from start to finish. A special thanks to Laith at the concierge desk for his outstanding hospitality- he gave amazing café recommendations (Oud Coffee’s cardamom/pistachio latte was the best I’ve had!), upgraded us to a stunning suite with fabulous city views complete with a chic window bench to soak it all in, and arranged a late checkout! His warm, personal touch made us feel completely at home! Every staff member we encountered was kind, professional, and welcoming. The Four Seasons offers an experience defined by elegance, comfort, and unmatched service. We look forward to returning!

Phenomenal experience! My boyfriend and I had never been to a spa before and this was a great introduction. I purchased a Groupon for the beer soak and added the halotherapy afterwards. We were not at all expecting the sauna and steam room that came with it. We were offered beer and wine and each had a charcuterie board while we soaked for no additional charge. Wonderful, personalized customer service along with a relaxing and affordable experience. Can't best that, we'll definitely be back

My husband and I absolutely loved our time at Piva! We left feeling so relaxed! We actually found it through Groupon. Their staff was very responsive in the scheduling process and incredibly hospitable while we were there! We did the sauna, the steam room, and a beer soak. My skin feels great!

What a nice experience, my mom and I went here for a sauna, aroma steam shower and beer soak, it was so unique, the front desk associate was very pleasant, everything was clean, and refreshments were included (wine + charcuterie board) in the package we bought, a lovely little escape for a couple of hours! It was a great experience, and Veronica had a warm energy. I was so hungry after the sauna and steamroom, so I was surprised to see a plate of fresh fruit crackers and cheese when it was time for my beer soak.

I brought my dad in for a much needed pedicure, haircut and shave! The services were very good. The owner assisted with my dad's pedicure and gave me advice in how to keep his feet in better condition. His barber took my instructions and had him looking like a new man. I will be returning on a regular bases. Thank you for your amazing work.

Extremely Disappointing Premium Manicure & Pedicure Experience I booked a premium manicure and pedicure expecting a high-quality, relaxing service. Unfortunately, nothing about my experience met that standard — in fact, it was one of the most frustrating and uncomfortable visits I’ve ever had at a salon. From the beginning, things went wrong. The first pedicure chair had no hot water. When the technician attempted to drain it, the water wouldn’t empty, so I was asked to move to another station. The second chair also had Luke warm water, and the massage feature didn’t work on either one. Then came the pedicure itself, which was rushed and poorly executed. I had to repeatedly correct the technician on how to properly trim and shape my toenails. During buffing, she scrubbed so aggressively that the skin on both of my big toes was broken — one even started to bleed. Despite this, she continued the service and kept applying alcohol directly to the open wound, which was extremely painful. The tub liner was improperly placed and kept snapping against my legs, and the paraffin wax was far too hot. Still, I tried to remain patient. However, while waiting for my manicure, the technician began cleaning the pedicure area — mopping the floors and sanitizing chairs — instead of continuing with my service. When she finally started the manicure, she filed one of my nails so harshly that I had to ask her to stop. I reminded her she had already injured my toe, and her response was to blame me, saying it was my fault because my skin had grown over the nail bed. At that point, I ended the service and asked to check out. At no point did the technician apologize for the inconvenience, the injury, or the completely unacceptable experience. I’m genuinely shocked and disappointed by the level of care and professionalism at this establishment. This service was not only far from "premium" — it was careless, disrespectful, and unsafe.

Cordial greeting at the reception area, no wait time (appointment made online), super clean facilities, nice relaxing music,. Most of all both team members providing pedicure and foot massage services did so with professional care and attention to detail.

Next Man Up is a black-owned, full-service spa designed to cater to the needs of men. Dr. Marva Cooksey, the founder/owner, provided my son with a relaxing massage and a Kraftgun treatment while focusing on his problem areas. Thereafter, he partook in relaxing steam room and rain shower experiences. He said that Dr. Cooksey worked out kinks and knots he hadn’t even realized he had. My son left feeling like a million bucks 💵. I HIGHLY recommend this business. Fellas, take some time to pamper yourselves!

Decided to treat myself at Spavia in the West Loop, and it was mostly a win. Opted for the 60-minute Signature Massage and the Signature Classic Refresh Facial, totaling around $278 with tip. The massage was on point—therapist really worked out the kinks in my shoulders. The facial left my skin feeling fresh, though the room was a bit chilly. The staff were friendly and professional, and the place had a chill vibe. Only downside was the waiting area—it was a bit cramped and not the most relaxing spot to start off. Overall, a solid spot for some self-care without breaking the bank.​

Let me start with how adorable the front entry is. The shelves are beautifully adorned with amazing skincare products from IMAGE Skincare and my newfound favorite, Comfort Zone. I am obsessed with the tranquil smell and the clean ingredients. There is no doubt you will find what you need. The facility was spotless, and the ambiance was perfect for a relaxing spa day. There are locker rooms for both men and women. I was taken to the women's locker room, where my personal robe and slippers were waiting alongside a personal locker for my belongings. There is also a restroom, shower, and a few private changing areas. In the lounge, you'll find a comfortable seating area, drinks, and warming lavender wraps. So relaxing. You also have the option of sitting in the halotherapy room while you're waiting. My specialist was Kassandra, she absolutely has magic hands. Kassandra took the time to understand my skin concerns and customized the treatment accordingly. The products felt luxurious on my skin. Each step of the facial was explained in detail, which made me feel comfortable and informed throughout the process. The treatment itself was incredibly relaxing. The gentle massage, soothing masks, hot towels, and steam made for a truly pampering experience. My skin felt like it could breathe. It was soft, rejuvenated, hydrated, and glowing by the end of the session. Kassandra provided helpful tips for maintaining my skin's health at home. I left feeling refreshed and confident in my skin. I highly recommend Spavia for anyone looking for a top-tier facial treatment. I will definitely be returning for more services in the future!

I booked a nice massage for my mother for her birthday. She was running a little late and they still treated her sweetly with kindness care. Once she got back home she said that her MT- Sandra was amazing! They had nice conversations, my mother felt comfortable and calm during her session, and after she said she felt sooo good. I’m very pleased to hear that everything went well, this was a very nice relaxing day for her that she needed. Thank you Sandra!

My wife spent a day at this spa. Things were generally fine with the notable exception of the massage – the highlight of the day! – which was conducted by someone who could not possibly have been a trained massage therapist. For example, that person was... 1) ...using her elbows to dig into my wife's shoulder blades – the bone, mind you, not the surrounding tissue! 2) ...massaging asymmetrically, e.g., the left calve was treated differently from the right, or the left foot was skipped entirely. 3) ...pressing on random parts of the body with no discernible pattern. Having paid for over a dozen massages at various places in the past, we can confidently say that this is not normal. In fact, my wife went to a separate wellness place the week after, to deal with the neck pain that the "bone massage" caused. Spavia asked for feedback, my wife mentioned the above, and somebody offered another massage to make up for it. Sounded great! But after following up several times on what we thought was a generous offer, we were met with no response or a vague "will circle back." Needless to say, no "circling back" was done. I'm sure some person will respond to this review with the same empty gesture but at this point we don't care anymore. No serious business expects customers to pay ~$500 only to have dilettantes do the massages. Do better.

Matt gave me one of the best massages I’ve ever had - and this is coming from someone who gets massages monthly. He combined his experience in nursing, reiki, and massage therapy to quite beautifully tend to all of my tender problem areas. Ever wake up from a massage and felt completely reset and a little disoriented? Yup, that was me, in the best way! I always enjoy my trips to Spavia! You get to select your preferred scent, type of music to be played during your appointment, and what you prefer to drink after. There’s some free parking on the street immediately outside, and paid street parking on Halsted. Memberships are available and totally worth it!

Treated myself to a facial at De La Vie Day Spa in Lakeview, and wow—what a gem! Opted for the Hydrolifting Facial ($170), and my skin felt brand new—lifted, hydrated, and glowing. Emilija was incredible—super knowledgeable and made me feel totally at ease. The space is cozy and spotless, with a chill vibe that makes you wanna stay all day. Also grabbed a DeLaVie-Organic signature manicure ($45), and my nails have never looked better. Dropped about $215 total, and it was worth every penny. If you're in the neighborhood and need some pampering, this spot's a must.

This is the best salon in the city, hands down. They use the cleanest products and have such a nice space. I’ve never been pushed to buy products or get a service that I didn’t want.

I had a great time at De La Vie. The staff is so so great and the services are even better. I’ve been getting facials here for several years and they never disappoint. Emilija takes her time during my facial with so much attention to detail. Everyone is so knowledgeable in what they’re doing. BEST SPA IN THE CITY. Their manicures and pedicures are AMAZING and just like everything else SO RELAXING.

I recently treated myself to a spa day at Spa at theWit, and wow, I am so glad I did. The moment I walked in, the vibe was super chill and luxurious—perfect for unwinding. I opted for the 60-minute massage and a facial, and let me tell you, it was worth every penny. The massage was exactly what I needed, with just the right pressure, and the facial left my skin glowing. We had the best spa day at theWit! It was me and 5 girlfriends so we loved being able to have such a private experience. The lounge was perfect for enjoying some delicious light bites and chatting (with a great view!). I could have stayed in their robes all day - and of course the services were fantastic.

Best massage I think I have ever had (Jana was my masseuse) and the space is beautiful, calm, and therapeutic! Jasmine had me sip tea and relax in the whisper room before my service and then Jana brought me bubbly after! The whole experience was lovely and I can highly recommend.

Had a Sunday massage with Sandy and she was AMAZING! 80 min and could have gone for another 80! Thank you for setting me for success Sandy! Great front desk assistance too. Informative patient and kind!

*Watch out for extra charges* Had a great couples massage with my boyfriend, very clean in the woman’s locker room, and provided robes for both of us! Mens locker room didn’t have many of the Womens locker room specialties and could’ve used a little attendance. The only down side was after having a great massage, they charged us almost an extra $100 without telling us beforehand and told us that on the website it says “prices are subject to change at the providers discretion” in tinyyyyyy font. One way to make us get un-relaxed after a massage. Not the massage therapists fault, but definitely not a good business model. So ask for your price ahead of time.

It was just meh. The massage was unmemorable- lots of caressing when I asked for their therapeutic. Plus It is very small. The whisper lounge (which is just three lounge chairs with side tables and low lighting) is equivalent to the size of a walk in closet. The locker room can accommodate maybe two people at a time comfortably. But you pay tremendous prices for the service AND then they hike on a 22% service charge that they don’t tell you about. So be warned. When we asked about the extra charges, we got a very cold response. We got “it is what it is so deal with it” kind of response. It left a bad taste in my mouth after trying to have a relaxing day. I would never go back. I’ve been to several spas so I will tell you there are way better ones with better customer service.

Great location had a great room, staff very accommodating. Service from Front Desk Rep Roberto was fantastic. Would definitely stay again. A lil issue with my room to start off but was quickly rectified. Note though the hotel bathrooms where up to par , water pressure for the shower leaves a little to be desired. Trying turning the shower head, changed the stream which helped but pressure was still low. Still minor complaint

The Chicago Fairmont was a surprise! My room was very spacious, especially by Chicago hotel room standards. The check in was friendly and quick. My room was ready early and I was pleased with the spaciousness and the cleanliness of it. It was well equipped and I loved the bathroom with separate shower and tub. I had a light supper in the restaurant and that was a treat. Excellent Spanish food at Toro. And with a rainy morning, was nice to get a latte in the lobby bar before I went out for the day. I will definitely be back for the kindness, the view and the hospitality.

To start my stay I didn’t love the 25+ a day convenience fee. We got to the room and it wasn’t giving what it should have gave for the price. The sheets weren’t even fully put on the bed. The bathroom door was very dusty, looks like no one ever wipes it down. The body wash container was completely out and they didn’t bother to replace or refill it. There was mold spots in the shower. The lightbulb above the toilet flickered the entire time it was on. There is a mini fridge but you can’t use it, it’s only to buy drinks. The walls are pretty thin so keep that in mind. I heard my neighbors having a passionate night. I did enjoy the toro restaurant though. I recommend the salmon and the mercado margarita for dinner. Our server Alfredo was nice. The grilled octopus starter was also good! I wouldnt recommend the brunch hour though I didnt get good service. I ended up waiting half an hour for my water, after I asked for it a few times. Same with ketchup. Never got it. Ordered a side of seasonal fruit and it tasted like it had been splashed with vinegar. Weird and too expensive for the small amount you got. Will not be returning.

I’ve never experienced such exceptional hospitality at a hotel. I organized a team trip to Chicago and chose to stay at the Fairmont—and it exceeded every expectation. Every staff member we encountered was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. The rooms were spotless, and the hotel’s amenities were top-notch. We also enjoyed a fantastic team dinner at Toro, the restaurant in the lobby and our waitress was truly the best I’ve ever had. Everything about our stay was outstanding, and we can’t wait to return someday.

We visited this hotel for our 10 year anniversary. We never leave a review at any hotel. We feel they put in about the same effort which is making sure room is clean, bed is done etc. This experience for me and my wife was incredible. I took my wife out and surprised her for our 10 years by staying at the Fairmont Chicago hotel. When I arrived I checked in. The thought crossed my mind to go and see the room before I take her to it. I was not satisfied with the room as we didnt have the ocean view and that was the main reason I paid extra for. The gentleman I worked with name Tim at the front desk provided me with an amazing service. He came upstairs to see the room and I explained to him this was for our anniversary and wanted to do something specail etc. He right away understood and saw my vision and changed the room. He took me to my new room and made sure I was satisfied with it the view it gave of the city was breath taking. We went back downstairs and he updated his system to reflect the room change. I had another request was to have a decor planner come to decorate the room before I brought my wife to the room and he even took takecare of that. Thanks to him when we arrived we were already checked in and room was beyond cleaned and decorated towards our liking. Our stay was very satisfying with a huge thank you going to Tim. I look forward in visiting Fairmont hotel again whenever we decide to visit Chicago. Thanks, FYI, If you are using Expedia to book, nothing is close expedia is incorrect. Google map your destinations first before u book. We used Uber for our destinations. Riverwalk was 13 minutes drive from Hotel.

Bed is comfy but they do that weird thing with the folded sheets over a duvet insert instead of an actual comforter. They also don’t give extra towels unless you request. Views are great and the look of the lobby and rooms are nice. Good fitness area too. Wish they required a key card to enter to the different floors for added security

I’m a Fairmont fan —or was until this stay. My room had an apparent leak issue that precipitated an 11 pm move due to the growing smell and wetness. The sheets on the bed were full of holes and what appeared to be tiny bugs or lint. The staff did graciously help me move to a much nicer room. At breakfast the next morning, I found an unprepared staff who seemed overwhelmed. Two days later, I attempted to order in-room dining only to be told that they “couldn’t find anyone” to do in-room dining service; it was 7 am. I’ve stayed in this hotel several times prior, so I hope that this property can be restored to the service and physical facility levels it once offered to guests.

Front desk staff was very welcoming and kind. My masseuse, Clarice, made me feel comfortable from the start. I have never had a prenatal massage prior to this one and it was wonderful from head to toe. They had a bed that had a lot of give so I was able to lie flat instead of having to lie on my side. I have been to UA a few times over the years and always have a terrific experience. Summer is AMAZING- I have a very physical profession and she worked wonders on my body. I love that UA has a complimentary shower option after the service.

I'm visiting from out of town and wanted to treat myself to a good quality massage. I thought about booking going with one of the fancy hotel spas but those were all double the cost. I'm so happy with my decision with going to Urban Oasis! My therapist Pia was amazing, I left feeling very relaxed.

I have been coming to Urban Oasis for years now and I love this place! Every single massage therapist there is amazing at their craft. You can tell they all care about their clients and bringing relief to the body. They have real knowledge of different techniques and methods that I enjoy. I've already recommended friends and they have been and loved it as well! The prices are reasonable and the experience is top tier! This is truly a hidden gem and I'll be back soon!

I have been here twice and both experiences were great. The first time I think I had the steam shower and the 2nd I had the regular rain shower. The steam was better. I feel so bad that I forgot my masseuse’s name from the first time (he was great) but my 2nd time I had Clarice and she was amazing as well. I had just arrived from a long flight and needed to unwind and she was able to work out my problem areas. The only slight thing I would point out is her music was loud and not as relaxing. But her work did put me into a nice restful state so it balanced out. I also did not enjoy the rain shower as much as my first one, which was on me for not remembering it was steam that I chose previously. Overall, this place is very professional and the customer service is great. Amazing service and I will come back again and again.

His approach was almost as if he was communicating with my body in a silent manner. He identified the precise areas to focus on during the massage and adjusted the pressure with remarkable precision. It was an absolute amazing experience sir spa has a new loyal customer Being a business owner myself, I am very particular about cleanliness and professionalism and both deserves five stars starting with the young man at the front desk and I cannot remember his name, but he had red hair A look that he wears very well! He was absolutely amazing…very Kind, friendly, welcoming and informative and then to experience the mind blowing massage that I had was the cherry on the sundae. Richard is absolutely amazing his skills shows he is a talented massage therapist I was amazed at all the different techniques that he used, he was welcoming and also a master at his craft! If I had to give A little constructive criticism it would be that they open at 11am and they take their first client at 11am but if they take their first client at 11am I think they should open @ 10:30am or take there first person 11:30am and have the client arriving @ 11am So you don’t lose any of your time with your massage Therapist.

I purchased the couples massage and facial package. Really impressed with both massages and both facials. The service was great and the amenities were clean. Was disappointed that the locker room didn’t include facial moisturizer and facial sunscreen (only reason I feel the package is overpriced). They scheduled us for facials first then massage which was odd but would have been ok had there been face moisturizer and facial sunscreen in the locker room. Albie was great.

Been coming here for a few months now and each visit has been fantastic. The staff is amazing and very pleasant with great attention to detail. The therapists are great at listening to what's going on with your muscles and adjust as needed through the session. Squeaky clean facility as well and great lounge area to mentally destress.

My most recent visit at Sir Spa was the first time that I sought out massage therapy for pain relief. I had been carrying tension in my traps and my neck for weeks, experiencing headaches every day, and popping ibuprofen like candy. I explained my pain to Albie and he listened with great amount of attention and asked questions. He then went to work… and for the first time in weeks, I experienced relief, and as I write this review the following morning, I’m still tension- and pain-free. If I had known weeks ago, how much tension I was holding in my upper back and in the back and in the front of my neck, I would have done this sooner. Additionally Albie worked on a lower back issue that was also tight and bringing me a bit of pain, and he did some stretching with me and it feels better than it ever has. I’ve always gotten a massage for relaxation and as a treat, this was almost a medical need in my opinion and Albie was incredible, as close to a doctor as I needed. Thank you.!!! My one and only request is that Sir Spa for Men invest in some better face cushions for their massage tables. While laying face down those face cushions do not give proper support, and I continually had to readjust my face so that my cheek wasn’t in contact with the hard surface under the thin cushion.

I had to ask him numerous amounts of time to increase the pressure because was light touching my body when specifically order a deep tissue for 90 mins. I could feel him putting minimal effort and not caring about my needs and services i paid for. I don’t recommend selecting that person if you go. I truly can’t believe that just happened. I had a facial with Michele—best facial I’ve ever had! I’ve never had gentler extractions before and she made sure I was comfortable! Loved talking with her—I told her I was graduating the next day and she made sure everything was perfect. I think the only drawback on the facilities is it’s a little confusing navigating downstairs..I think I would’ve appreciated some info on the confirmation email (if it’s there and I missed it I’m sorry!)

The atmosphere was great at the Bettye O Day spa and the pedicure/Brazilian wax was ok. I felt the male tech seemed new and at the $60 price point the polish/foot massage could have been better. I guess the leg massage is not included like other places. I will say, he paid great attention to detail regarding filing and trimming. The Brazilian wax was a little too aggressive.

I received a Brazilian wax done by Laura. I’ve been coming here for 15 years and Laura NEVER disappoints me; she’s gentle, doesn’t rush her job and makes sure she gets everything! The other staff members are always welcoming and attentive. I highly recommend their services.

I had an amazing day at Bettye O Day Spa. Jennifer, Tyna and Bruce were all very friendly and professional, the atmosphere was inviting and clean, and I left feeling refreshed, relaxed and rejuvenated. I can’t recommend the hydro bath and the facial enough. Excited to go back!

Incredibly unimpressed with the manicure. There was no top coat added, which I have never heard of or experienced anywhere before, and 24 hours later they’re already chipped. The paint was uneven, and started so far below my cuticles it looks like I have over a week of outgrowth. There was also no dryer or UV light, I was told to just wait and air dry which I found odd for a professional salon. The massage/pedicure service I received was outstanding (though no top coat or dryer for that paint either), and the service was really good/friendly. I would recommend doing a massage service and going elsewhere for paint.

I've been going to Lena Rose for over 5 years and am so glad I found this space. I'm a nail art girlie and have loved all of the nail techs that have taken care of me over the years! I've been seeing Teresa for about a year and am a big fan of her work. She's been super sweet & easy to talk to and does an amazing job with my nails every time! I had a lovely manicure from Bo today! The space is lovely, there is complimentary tea and water, and a sunny seating space. You do need to crouch down to see regular polish colors (not a problem for me but a note for those who may have mobility needs). Gratuity is included!

I’ve been seeing Teresa for structured manicures at Lena Rose for almost a year now! She has completely transformed my nails (they’re so much stronger and healthier), and she is the kindest human. I’m a solid polish girl, but we’re currently working together on a simple but fun wedding nail design! I have friends who consistently get nail art from Teresa and I am always blown away at her attention to detail!

I’ve most consistently seen Teresa, and not only is she excellent at her craft as a nail tech, she’s also so lovely to chat with and it’s always a joy to spend time with her. Really lovely spa. Went for a solar radiance body treatment and was really impressed. Enjoyed some complimentary tea and water, I enjoyed the selection of herbals quite a bit. The room the treatment was in was private, which is very nice and made me feel safe, and it was very relaxing. My skin feels absolutely incredible, I don't remember ever having it this smooth. Staff was incredibly friendly and professional as well. I'll definitely be returning when I need another self care day.

A dear friend had offered to pay for me to have a massage at the Trump Tower in Chicago. I was expecting to feel a little uncomfortable there, thinking only rich people would frequent the place and be dressed formally. However, I was welcomed warmly by friendly staff who saw to my every need, as if I were part of the family. The spa receptionist walked with me to show me where the restrooms were and explained where I would meet my masseur. He also explained to my friends (who had brought me there for the treat) where and when to meet me after the massage. He told me I could have a tea and snacks afterwards in the spa lounge whilst waiting for my friends. He took a personal interest in each one of us and even made jokes to keep us entertained. The massage was excellent - just what I had needed and longed for! The young lady was friendly but polite and was concerned to give me exactly what I needed. I explained to her why I was so tense and needed a massage and she said I was very welcome to 'vent' on her! How sweet! All in all, I will have very fond memories of the place and definitely hope to go back in the future!

Being a resident, I was excited to finally try out the spa. We have guests almost weekly that I have been recommending to go get a massage & now I feel extremely dumb for doing so. I booked a 60 minute therapeutic deep tissue massage. When I got into the room, the therapist said to me “I didn’t read your paperwork, do you have any spots of focus?” I told her I only wanted focus on my upper back and neck and I would like her to go as hard as she can because I want deep pressure. I told her no arms or legs. She then asked if I would like the bed warmer on, I said yes, she proceeds to turn it on but it wasn’t plugged in so she left it off. The massage was the worst deep tissue massage I have ever received. I almost asked to leave but felt uncomfortable doing so. She used zero pressure & massaged my arms for roughly 5 minutes when I asked for no arms or legs. This woman should not be giving “deep tissue” massages. She does not know or simply does not care to give a deep tissue massage. The room was freezing & like I mentioned earlier, the bed warmer wasn’t plugged in so I was so cold the entire service. The worst experience I have ever had. This service was $282, not a cheap experience but one I love paying for if it’s worth it. This woman admitted to not even reading my paperwork prior to me coming into the room, for a $282 service, that is insane. When checking out, the receptionist was very kind, asked about my experience & I was honest but felt so uncomfortable saying anything because I do live in the building. She offered me 25% off the service but it still stinks that I paid over $200 for a Mother’s Day treat that had me super upset during and after. I asked other residents if this has happened to them or if I just had a bad time & it was the general consensus that this is a universal experience. It is so upsetting and I am sad to say I won’t be recommending the Trump Spa again.

Went for a massage on a Groupon and booked a facial as an additional service; absolutely fantastic from beginning to end. Staff were extremely friendly, facilities really clean and relaxing. I would absolutely recommend getting there half an hour prior to enjoy the waiting area before and* after. Macarons and chamomile tea as you wait. You can order a foot or scalp massage while you wait. Beautiful views. I went to Rebar for a quick bite and some wine after saunas. Way better and classier than Aire. This is a *must* in Chicago for relaxation.

Love the spa! The relaxation room is beyond wonderful. The staff is friendly and it’s the best pedicure I’ve ever had. The only place I’ll get one. The manager is attentive and welcoming, making sure I was comfortable and didn’t need anything. Would highly recommend the spa! The amenities are also very luxurious, steam room, sauna and the deluge shower are my favorites. And Sharon the Spa’s housekeeper is an absolute ray of sunshine; always offering kind, considerate help and a positive word. What an amazing employee! Great team. Highly recommend!

It was rly nice! Soothing. I was upset they don’t have a hot tub especially since they say it’s a spa, but the sauna/pool was nice. We got a trump classic couples massage. It was decent, I think it could’ve been better(maybe I should’ve gotten a different massage package), but definitely enjoyed my stay.

I was verbally abused by the guy working the door. I was asked to not stand near their entry. I had a friend with me whose son had sensitivity issues and it was the only spot we could stand to keep her calm and he became aggressive.

Absolutely gorgeous and amazing spa. You enter the beautiful St. Regis. The location & views are stunning. The St. Regis smell luxurious and divine. The spa staff welcoming and efficient. The lounge area comfortable, cozy and elegant. Loved the sauna and steam room. Everything new with fresh orchids abound. We had a couples massage. It was THE best. Attention to details, aroma therapy and pure perfection. We then went to the indoor pool. It is lovely & you can order drinks and food to pool. We opted for dinner at the bar at Miru. It was a most memorable and magical evening! Thank you for making my Mother’s Day one I will always treasure!

I came to St.Regis Spa here in Chicago recently, From the moment I arrived to check in with a glass of Champagne. I did a 60 min massage with Jessica, later I got to enjoy full use of their amenities. I give them all a 10/10. Can’t wait to be back.

As a resident owner of the St. Regis I would expect that the hotel spa would allow use of their steam room when the residence steam room is out of Order. Not the level of service one would expect at this caliber of hotel.

Exceptional service every time. The booking process was seamless, the decor is gorgeous, great selection of amenities and the staff is amazing. Nicole’s kindness, expertise and impeccable service created the best massage experience.

Came here for a birthday and had a great time with some great food. Our server was super knowledgeable and really helped make the experience so much better. Absolutely a must go if you get the chance.

Old school flare with new school touches. Excellent location in the heart of downtown Chicago which made it easy to walk or catch a Lyft to anywhere you want to go. For those driving or rented a car from the airport, the hotel surprisingly has a free parking arrangement with a parking garage which was great to see. Extremely nice bar/restaurant on the 1st floor. The only negative for anyone vegan or vegetarian was the lack of food options from the hotel. Room service was efficient and friendly but the rooms themselves definitely need an upgrade. Bathroom is tiny, toilet is low to the ground and the water pressure was weak. That aside the bed was amazing and the little frig, TV with lots of options and ample room to store clothes somewhat made up for the bathroom. The spa! OMG! To put it simply, EVERYTHING was amazing: the staff, the services, the atmosphere and the magical robes they give you to wear ( we even purchased 2). Definitely visit the spa if you stay here. We will be back whenever we visit the windy city again.

Sheprice and Lauren are absolute gems! My stay at the Palmer House was excellent, largely due to the amazing service I received from Sheprice and Lauren. Their welcoming and enthusiastic attitudes made my visit special from start to finish. I had very specific and kind of difficult view requests, but since Palmer House isn’t known for its views this was no easy task. They were kind and accommodating and never got frustrated with the amount of work it took to make me happy. Sadly this is a rare experience in today’s day and age, and I’m happy I was on the receiving end of their excellent customer service. The hotel itself is stunning, with a history you can feel in every corner. But it was the friendly, personal service that made all the difference. Add to that a great price for the stay, and I can confidently say I'll be back. Thank you ladies keep up the great work! My 18th floor view was amazing.

Had an excellent stay here in this beautiful historic hotel. Once I got the elevator key scanner to work, I finally got up to my room. Everything was cozy and nice for an older hotel. The lobby restaurant and bar with the decorated ceiling is a wonderful place to spend some time and take it all in

I was really excited to celebrate my cousin’s bachelorette party at the Palmer House! The hotel itself is beautiful and full of history, which makes it such a unique place to stay downtown. However, the service didn’t quite match the elegance of the building. When I arrived, I told the valet that I had paid for valet parking with my room, but he didn’t take the time to check — he just pointed me toward self-parking. That was disappointing, especially since I had already paid the extra fee. Then, during check-in, no one mentioned that my suite included an adjoining room. It would’ve been helpful to know that from the start. Overall, it’s a gorgeous hotel with a lot of charm, but the customer service really needs improvement to match the level of the experience they’re trying to offer. Attached is my view of the city!! We arrived early around 7am and were told check-in wasn’t available unless we paid $75 for early check-in. The front desk explained that the fee would be waived if we returned at 12 noon. When we came back, Shaquille assisted us—he was very accommodating and made the process smooth. He also upgraded our room for a fee and surprised us with a coupon for drinks and cake to celebrate my husband’s birthday, which made the stay extra special. The room itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Overall, a wonderful stay with great service. FYI: Hilton has a $25 per day hotel fee, which includes $10 credit at the restaurant, $10 laundry credit, and about $20 daily at the spa. We mostly used ours at Lockwood Express to grab water and soda.

We came to the Palmer House Hilton to celebrate my birthday with a little staycation. As a Hilton Honors Gold member (who knows the brand well), I was excited for a night of rest and relaxation — especially being pregnant, I thought the gift of good sleep would be perfect. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. The lobby is breathtaking, dripping with history and charm. You truly feel like you’re stepping into a living museum of elegance. But sadly, that “historic” feeling followed me into the bedroom. The mattress was nearly 10 years old, and it felt like it. Instead of comfort, I got a long night of tossing, turning, and wishing I had packed my own bed as a carry-on. Keep in mind, this was not a “cheap” stay. We spent close to $300 for the Deluxe King bed room. For a property with this kind of reputation — and at this level of the Hilton brand — the sleeping experience should match the grandeur of the lobby. The architecture deserves five stars, but the mattress and (lack of) sleep experience brought the rating down. If you’re here for history and atmosphere, you’ll be wowed. If you’re here to sleep (especially if you’re pregnant and just want some peace), you may find yourself wide awake, tossing and turning, admiring the ceiling instead. Also, my husband felt the same way, his back was hurting and didn’t sleep well at all because of the mattress. I will consider changing my rating once I am contacted by Hilton to rectify the situation.

At first our experience was excellent as the hotel is beautiful. However, as it unfolded it became a nightmare. The parking garage and carrying all of our luggage across far distance and across a street was a challenge with a disabled adult child. The in and out parking privileges we were supposed to have and paid for - never applied and we had to wait in long lines at the front desk every time we left to get a new parking ticket validated. Our shower head was broken. We only had one roll of toilet paper provided for 3 days and we had to call the desk 3 times for more towels, trash removal and T.P. and waited over 7 hours for it to finally be delivered. The concierge helped us with contact info for a motorized wheelchair and upon return of it to the bell desk it miraculously disappeared. I’ve spent numerous hours and frustrating phone call upon phone call chasing people from security to the bell desk to managers. I have been calling daily and it’s been over 2 weeks with no resolve except to tell me that they see on camera I returned it and that a different company accidentally picked it up but have yet to provide the name of the company or help to resolve this matter. Then upon check out we were stuck inside the parking garage where I even provided the attendees with my receipt for paid in and out parking yet hat to wait 15 minutes to be released after she acted like I was lying and called the front desk. Would definitely never stay here again!! For the high price, it surely shouldn’t have come with so many headaches. For a supposed luxury hotel it sure did disappoint.

Love this public art! Chagall’s seasonal skyline of the city is stunning!! Love to have lunch in the plaza and contemplate the vignettes. Summer 25- plaza is being redeveloped so no direct access.

This is a masterwork on an enormous scale by 20th century artist Marc Chagall. His images — dreamlike scenes evoking dreams and memories of his childhood in a Russian fishing village, with boldly-colored figures of every scale floating around and among one another. It’s one of Chicago’s most important works of public art, and it is bookended by Chagall’s magnificent blue stained glass windows in the Art Institute. It’s in downtown, it’s right out by the street, it’s covered, and it’s free. Love love love.

Chagall is one of my favourite artists so to find a public work, at this scale, by him in the middle of downtown Chicago was an absolute treat! A massive 4 side block mosaic which more people should see!

If you’re a fan of Chagall you don’t want to miss this. The Four Seasons is a four-sided mosaic that showcases a lot of things Chagall is famous for. There’s not too much going on in the immediate surround area, but it’s worth a detour to see this beautiful work of art with your own eyes.

DAngelo, Gracen and Josh are all excellent Geek Squad employees at Best Buy in Chicago on Roosevelt Road. I brought in my old laptop and needed the data, antivirus and Microsoft 365 transferred to my new laptop. Each one was kind, very knowledgeable,listened to my questions and answered them in a way I could understand. Gracen kept in touch with me about the status of my computer and when it would be completed. DAngelo explained some features involving my new laptop, made sure the Microsoft 365 was downloaded and working correctly, and answered some questions I had. Josh took care of me the first time and was very knowledgeable and kind. The work was done quickly. I am very pleased with the Geek Squad at this particular Best Buy. I have used them several times before and the service has been excellent. I paid for the membership which is well worth it. I am a very happy customer thanks to the Geek Squad and their knowledge.

Buying a laptop can be a daunting challenge,with Co-Pilot 365 AI on the market and a literal glut of normal laptops I felt confused. I had ordered a Lenovo Thinkpad promised to me in just a few days, but then they moved it a month out, siting chips for the Ultra Core 7 were holding things up. Working from home does not care if your laptop died. I decided to go to Best Buy. His name is Carlos and he should be employee of the year. Carlos is the super Hero in the blue shirt that will have you watching your Billie videos and working in no time. His knowledge is quite impressive. You tell him what you want and he will tell you what you need. Thanks Carlos for that! He is a stand up guy. He carefully considered not only my needs but budget. I’m grateful to him because I love my Dell laptop.

On September 8, 2025, I bought a printer from Best Buy South Loop and opened the box to find it crawling with ants. The infestation spread into my car, forcing me to pay for fumigation and detailing. When I tried to return the product, the store manager (Bien) refused to honor Best Buy’s return policy, denied me access to higher management, and even attempted to kick me out of the store. It took nearly 3 hours of calls to corporate before I finally got a refund — meanwhile I’ve been left with almost $1,000 in out-of-pocket costs (fumigation, legal fees, replacement printer, etc.) and a lot of lost time and stress. I have photo and video evidence of the infestation and corporate case documentation. This was more than just poor service — it was harassment, a health hazard, and a violation of consumer rights. I hope Best Buy corporate sees this and takes immediate action, because no customer should ever go through what I did. Update: Best Buy has since responded publicly and asked me to reach out via Facebook/Instagram/Twitter, but I want to be clear that this matter is far beyond a social media message. I have already filed a formal complaint with the Illinois Attorney General, submitted documentation through the BBB, and sent a certified letter with evidence directly to Best Buy’s executive leadership and legal team. I am currently in communication with an Executive Resolution Specialist from Best Buy’s corporate office and awaiting their response. My case is documented with photos, videos, receipts, and a timeline of events. I will update this review as the resolution progresses, but I want other customers to know that what happened to me was serious, costly, and traumatic and I am pursuing it through every proper channel.

We just bought two Dell computers from this location and we are extremely pleased with the customer service we received throughout the entire process. The floor representatives were more than eager to help and assist us in making a decision based on our needs. We had many questions and they never made us feel like it was an imposition. Once purchased the Geek Squad transferred all of our documents from our old computers to the new ones. We had a small hiccup (totally understandable). Mateo, the manager, got involved and made sure everything was taken care of and corrected. He was very approachable and made sure everything was done to our specifications. His people skills are superb. The whole Geek Squad is great. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this location for purchasing and repairing items. We will be back!

His knowledge and expertise were impressive, and he made the entire buying process seamless and stress-free. Highly recommend Luis to anyone looking for top-notch customer service and tech expertise!

i have an older phone (not as old as the brick but close enough)and my case for it broke. Johnathan was able to find a case for it and a screen protector. he took the time to put it altogether for me. great customer service!!!!

BTW You can't actually call the store to ask abt store hours, general questions, etc. it connects you with a call center person who, while nice, has no real way of knowing how each individual store is set up. Went in store and could tell front desk guy was uncertain which is fine but should be able ask for help from coworkers rather than brush customers off cuz he doesn't know the answer. Pair that with the copy and paste response to each review going with Best Buy just feels like a pain in the neck more than anything.

Stayed at The Wade Chicago recently. The room was spacious and clean, and I really enjoyed the nice city view from the window. The location is great, close to the park and lake — perfect for walking and exploring. However, the hotel could use some renovation, both in the rooms and around the building. Soundproofing was poor — I could hear people in nearby rooms and the hallway. Very noisy air conditioning. Also, the included breakfast was disappointing. It came as a voucher with limited options, not what I expected for a hotel in this price range. Overall, it’s a decent stay if you value space and location, but there are some things that need improvement.

Beautiful Views and Exceptional Staff, Undermined by Basic Maintenance ​3/5 Stars ​My stay at The Wade was defined by truly exceptional staff and a stunning location, but unfortunately, these positives were consistently undermined by a lack of basic 4.5-star amenities and maintenance issues. ​Upon arrival, the service was outstanding. Precious at the front desk was highly accommodating with my grocery delivery and generously granted us an extended 1:00 p.m. checkout. Security Officer Dwayne went above and beyond, personally intercepting a required in-person delivery when we arrived later than expected. We were also thrilled to receive a complimentary upgrade to a spectacular 29th-floor lake view room, a kindness extended by Erica that was genuinely appreciated. The view of Lake Michigan and Navy Pier is, without a doubt, the hotel's best asset. ​However, the in-room experience was immediately disappointing for a luxury hotel. There was no coffee maker, no proper glassware, only flimsy plastic cups. These essential items had to be requested, and to make matters worse, the ice maker on our floor was non-functional. This resulted in three separate calls for ice, glassware, and the coffee maker, requiring us to tip staff for items that should have been standard, turning a luxury stay into an inconvenient scavenger hunt. ​Room maintenance was also below standard: the toilet stool wiggles and the bathtub does not drain properly during a shower, causing water to pool. ​Finally, observations in public areas suggested a lack of upkeep: the lobby furniture is heavily worn and torn, and the floor appeared unswept even in the morning. Most notably, the windows in the enclosed pool observation area were extremely dirty. ​Overall, the staff and the views are 5-star quality, but the amenity gaps and cleanliness/maintenance issues bring the overall experience down significantly. This feels more like a 3-star property with 5-star staff.

Check in was wonderful and then everything after that was real motel 6 feeling. After the great check in we dropped our stuff off quickly and went to grab a quick sight and some dinner. We got back and started realizing that this is not what we would consider 4.5 stars hotel by ANY means. Room was pretty small but hey it’s 4.5 stars so I shrugged and went on( thinking we sacrifice space for cleanliness, service, and location). I needed some ice and was directed by housekeeping (which were super sweet!!!) to another door which opened to the ice machine which was out of order but was told I could take the stairs down to the one on that floor. Both ice closets were in this same kind of condition very dirty around the floor (floor 17 and 16). (Pictures attached). I shrug it off and go back to the room shower get ready for bed when my wife notices there is black mold on the shower head that I used. At this point it’s late and we are both exhausted from a long day of traveling and have no energy to move rooms. Juuuust a little on the disappointed side.

As we are enjoying some business interactions here in Chicago, the Wade was an interesting choice as it gave us some decent views of the Navy Pier and Lake Michigan as a whole. The lobby area is lively and comes alive starting around noon but if you would like some coffee, it is offered near the lounge/bar area in the morning. The rooms are comfortable and it would be nice to have some more space in the bathrooms but as a former W Hotel, I understand why certain things are positioned. Overall, I would stay here again due to its convenience to the Streeterville area.

Had a really pleasant stay at The Wade! The rooms were clean, cozy, and nicely decorated with a modern touch. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, making it a great place to relax after exploring the city. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed.

It’s supposed to be a 5 star hotel. Rooms are small, shower is old, doors look really old. Very expensive food and all around expensive. Not worth the price at all. You have to pay for WiFi each day after paying $500 a night for a room. Not very accommodating and didn’t have face tags. Just some towels and hand towels. On the bright side, beautiful lake view and has a bar downstairs

As a Marriott Bomboy member, this has been the worst hotel we've ever stayed at in the chain. The rooms are full of dust. We didn't even have soap in the bathroom. We asked for it, but they never brought it. After our key stopped working, we went to the front desk and were told we had to move rooms because the one we were in was going to have maintenance . That same day, I noticed I had forgotten a pair of shoes and notified the front desk. They told me they would check and bring them to my room. This never happened. Next day I asked another person at the front desk and told her the whole story. To my surprise, she told me that they couldn’t check on the room because it was occupied by other guest, so they lied to us!. My shoes were lost, and they couldn't even give me an answer. I sincerely do not recommend this hotel. It lacks trained staff, it's not clean, and above all, it's not possible that shoes could have gone missing in a couple of hours when they hastily evicted us from the room to move someone else in.

We arrived at the Wit Hotel in Chicago in the evening and, at first glance, felt a bit underwhelmed by the outside of the building. That feeling continued slightly as we stepped into the lobby and approached the front desk. However, things quickly took a positive turn thanks to the warm welcome from a very friendly gentleman who made us feel right at home. He checked us in quickly and gave us a great overview of the hotel and what it had to offer. Getting up to our room took a bit of patience as the lifts were quite busy, largely because of the popular rooftop bar that draws in a lot of guests and visitors. Once we made it up though, we were genuinely impressed. The room was fabulous, spacious and well designed with a lovely kitchen and dining area, a comfy living room and excellent facilities throughout. The bedroom and bathroom were also finished to a high standard and made for a very comfortable stay. The hotel has a couple of bars and a restaurant, including the rooftop spot we unfortunately did not get to try. We did hear there was a minimum spend required to enter, so just something to be aware of. Location wise, you really cannot go wrong. It is just a short walk to many of the city’s top attractions and the staff were always friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. Overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely recommend the Wit if you are planning a trip to Chicago.

I stayed recently at The Wit and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the reception staff were very nice and welcoming, which gave a great first impression. The room was comfortable, with super comfy beds and an upgraded, spotless bathroom that I really appreciated. However, there were some disappointments. The rooftop is advertised as part of the hotel experience, but once you get there, you’re told you have to pay an extra entrance fee for the party. It doesn’t matter if you’re a guest staying at the hotel — they treat you just like outside visitors, which makes it feel like they’re just looking for extra money instead of taking care of their own guests. On top of that, parking is very expensive, and the valet service takes too long to bring your car back, which can be frustrating. Overall, while the rooms and staff were great, the way the rooftop and parking are handled left a negative impression.

Checked out today after a two night stay at theWit, chosen because it was a fifteen minute walk from the museum event I came for, also because I’m a HiltonHonors member. And easy to arrive here via the Blue Line from O’Hare. Cheaper and often faster than a taxi. $5.00 tap to pay with a credit card, no need to fuss with buying a ticket from a vending machine for a single fare. Admittedly after a very long walk to the train station at the airport. My room was on a high enough floor that noise from the EL that runs nearby didn’t bother me. I enjoyed my stay, used the food/beverage credits at the lobby restaurant State Lake Tavern. Food isn’t fancy but good, servers were attentive. Judging by my fellow diners orders, the hamburger and fries must be great, sure looked like it. Room clean, bed comfortable, nice linens. Oddly no clock. Hotel is large enough to have amenities that I didn’t have time to use, is not a boutique hotel but not a mega location either. More contemporary than traditional in its style. Staff was laidback and unfailingly pleasant. Loop neighborhood has some rough edges but seemed to have enough people on the street to feel safe. There’s a large Walgreens a block away open til midnight. It’s in/near the Theater District so convenient for that. I didn’t venture to the hotel’s Roof bar and nightclub but despite its evident popularity on a Friday night, lobby and elevator access remained calm, entry seemed to be routed through a side door. Not inexpensive but a good value overall. I recommend. PS upon reviewing the bill emailed after checkout, the final charges were a bit confusing. I booked my stay ahead with credit card reward points which didn’t cover various local charges and an inscrutable extra charge partially offset by the $25/day food and beverage credit. As in if you don’t eat/drink there you’re paying anyway. Worked for me because I did, but something to consider/ask about. Tiny quibble, yesterday morning I snagged a few extra coffee creamers from an unattended service cart because I like my coffee light (Keurig in room), and this morning found that housekeeping had removed all but the standard two. Thought that was weirdly stingy. Left a tip anyway perhaps less than I might have if my departure morning coffee had been creamier. Taxied back to the airport because I was tired, quite quick on a Saturday morning.

We were here four nights for our daughter's graduation ceremony at The Chicago Theater. Great location, easy to get to numerous venues, very clean and comfortable. But...manage your expectations. Unfortunately, the breakfast room service was a mess. No consistency and the staff got annoyed when we wanted things like spoons for our oatmeal, or salt for our eggs. All four mornings were a mess. Dinner room service was great. We had the same woman a few nights and she made sure everything was right before leaving the room; she was very pleasant too. Not sure why breakfast was so screwy. The first night, the sliding bathroom door stopper broke and my right hand got stuck in the opening, very painful! They repaired it but it broke again the third night and my left hand got jammed into the wall. The 2nd time it happened they sent a manager up with a medical kit but ice was the only thing that was going to keep the swelling and bruising down. The first night they offered me points as compensation but offered me nothing the second time it happened. It took 5 days for me to see the points in my account and two phone calls to the hotel once I was home to see where the points were. Very frustrating. We had the same cleaner, Erika, every day and she was fantastic. Overall, a good hotel but definitely not worth the 2k we dropped. We've stayed at Hampton Inns with better service and follow up. Like I said, manage your expectations. Convenient, but get it when the rates are low or use points. P.S. Diamond member...expected more.

Edit to add as of 9/24/25: I received an email prior to the owner responding this review asking me when we could connect about my experience and make it right. I responded very promptly, actually before the reply to my review was posted and have yet to hear back from the person whom sent the email almost 4 days ago- their name "Rami Smadi". Doesn't show that they're too worried about "making anything right." When booking, i chose this hotel for its corner room view , at minimum its large window view of the river. To ensure this was a possibility / open, i called to make my reservation directly with the hotel. Despite doing so and being ensured that the large window view of the river was open , i checked in and was put in a room with two smaller windows . One in the bedroom and one in the living area room. When i went to ask the front desk about this, the only conclusion is there must have been a communication error and that my room was actually a room grade above what i had requested. They waved my travel fee which was much appreciated, but still didn’t do anything for me. I didn’t want the bigger room with the tub like they tried to play was an “upgrade” because I’m pregnant and can’t even get in the tub to take a warm bath. I didn’t need or want the bigger square foot room- there were only two of us & i didn’t get the view either. I got placed in what seemed like the back of the hotel where i was facing other buildings . i solely booked this hotel for the view . For the price i paid , this was extremely unsatisfying. On top of that, the paint in the hallways were peeling, the toilet continuously flushed on and on and on anytime it was flushed & wouldn’t stop which was annoying and our shampoo was out when we checked in to our room. The entry way is nice, having valet is nice but it’s an additional charge every night that we didn’t know about or told about, the rooftop was closed one of the two nights we were there and the restaurant had a limited menu where the steaks came out over done, carrots still hard & broccolini more like broccoli stalks all with little to no flavor. I wanted to give this place a chance because of the price , but it just is not worth it at all.

The Hilton brand is becoming a low budget overpriced experience, it no longer attached to a luxury name. $150 nightly incidentals, and the suite I booked didn’t come with any complimentary drinks, alcohol, champagne, juice, nothing!! Just two bottles of water only on the desk in the bed room (even the watergate puts atleast two water bottles in EACH room of the suite) Asked to have the couch converted into a bed while gone so it could be ready when I returned, and I came back to my keys deactivated and had to go all the way back downstairs. No offer to bring me new keys up or even an apology. Just told to come get a new pair Okay cool, things happen! Tried to order room service. NO ONE ANSWERED. Called the front desk, the transferred me, then someone answered. Food? Okay at best. Came here with kids. Was told no kids menu but they have kids “items”??? Whatever that means! Then it was only 4 entrees and 5 salads My room was $3,000 btw for the weekend. And not even a can of complementary Pepsi?? They give you a $25 voucher, but you can’t use it in room service. The location kinda ugly too. You can easily pass it. Microwave oven in suite (points for that) soft bed, spacious. Staff seemed friendly overall. Would I come back? No it’s my first night and I’m already over it . Will update after trip is over

Amazing service, and awesome food at State and Lake! Such a nice experience, and the stuffie for my daughter at check in was such a nice touch! :) Only thing I thought was kinda odd was the placement of the coffee machine in room. I suppose I'm just used to them being easily accessible on a counter or something, and then being tucked away in a cabinet when we had to take and find a place to plug them in and such was funky. Not bad mind you, just slightly inconvenient. To be fair it's a very very trivial thing, just an observation. Will stay again!

If you’re heading to Chicago and want to stay somewhere with a lively atmosphere, the Godfrey Hotel might be a good choice. It’s about 20 to 30 minutes from O’Hare (ORD). In my case, I reserved an Uber for around $30, which wasn’t too bad for the convenience. The location is great if you’re planning to do some shopping or visit landmarks. You can walk to a lot of places without needing a car or rideshare. And speaking of rideshares, because the hotel is in such an active area, there’s almost always an Uber just minutes away when you need to head out. Now, this place is definitely active. Whether it’s hotel guests, or people coming in for the rooftop restaurant and bar, there’s a constant flow of people, especially in the evenings. Depending on the day and time, the rooftop is the place to be. It has a great vibe and draws a good crowd. Just a heads up: drink prices are on the higher side, and there’s a “no hats after 7 PM” policy on the rooftop, which caught me by surprise. As for the hotel itself, the rooms are clean and modern. Instead of carpet, they have vinyl flooring, which I actually prefer for cleanliness. My only real gripe was the TV channel selection. I get that not everyone comes to a hotel to watch TV, but sometimes it’s nice to relax and flip through some decent channels, and this felt a bit lacking. Overall, if you’re looking for a hotel that’s busy, social, and in the middle of the action, The Godfrey is a solid pick. It’s not the quietest spot, but if you like energy and a good rooftop scene, you’ll probably enjoy your stay.

First of all they sent me an email invitation to complete a survey, addressing me by someone else's name. The website quoted one price, added fees of nearly $25, which we paid. THEN when we got to the hotel, there were $30 more of hidden fees including a "resort fee". What resort??? We asked the 2 people at the front desk 18 different ways what the resort fees were for as well as why were the fees secretly added when we were checking in. After they both tried to speculate for almost 20 minutes, they ultimately ended up telling us they didn't know. In exchange for paying the resort fees, we were given 2 mini bottles of Fiji water. The TV kept going off every 30 minutes even though the sleep timer was off. Very annoying, we couldn't even watch a movie without having to start over with their weird TV setup that was not user friendly at all. We requested maintenance to correct the issue. When he got to the door he was annoyed, evidently, because he was expected to do his job while he was at work. He said, and I quote, "What do you want?" Oh, ok. I tell him the issue with the TV and he said, "No. You can't do that." I asked why, and he said, "I don't know. You just can't." He didn't crack a smile, was dead serious. LOL! I just thanked him for coming and walked him to the door. There were no other amenities at this hotel. They have a rooftop bar, we weren't allowed to go up because we were dressed casually, my husband in "sportswear" meaning a Chicago Bulls jacket and gym shoes, me, jeans and gym shoes. My husband was told he had to wear a blazer or suit jacket to be admitted. So again, no amenities, at least not for us and our resort fees that obviously paid for random people off the street to enjoy, not paying guests. No worries, we went to Theory on Hubbard and had great food, drinks, and fun. Instead of staying the 3 days we had planned on, we left the next day and went to the Embassy Suites. We got 2 drink vouchers PER DAY, per person, PLUS free buffet breakfast. AND we had a suite. It was very clean, modern, the staff was very nice and accommodating, and BOTH TV 's, yes TWO, were larger AND they worked. I would NEVER stay at the Godfrey Hotel again. EVER.

I recently hosted a three-day work event at the Godfrey Hotel for a group of about 80 people, and I cannot say enough good things about the experience. From start to finish, everything was seamless and truly exceptional. The event spaces were bright, modern, and incredibly versatile — perfect for everything from presentations to group sessions to casual networking. The staff was professional, attentive, and thoughtful, making sure every detail was taken care of without us ever needing to ask twice. Our guest rooms were equally impressive: clean, spacious, and stylish with comfortable beds and thoughtful amenities. Everyone on our team raved about their stay. And let’s talk about the food — absolutely delicious! Every meal served throughout the event was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The Godfrey exceeded all our expectations especially with the Gluten Free options. If you’re looking for a chic, well-run venue in Chicago to host a corporate event, I can’t recommend the Godfrey Hotel enough. We’ll definitely be back!

I had mixed feelings about my stay here. On the positive side, my room was clean and comfortable, which I really appreciated. That said, there were a few frustrating things. The coffeemaker in the room sprayed grounds everywhere when I tried to make coffee, so it definitely needs maintenance. The mini fridge was also basically useless at 70 degrees. I reported it to the front desk and was told maintenance would check it, but nothing was fixed or swapped out by the time I got back that night. Speaking of the front desk, check-in wasn’t great. The employee was more focused on their phone than helping me. I wasn’t given any details about where the elevators were, what floor I was on, or how checkout worked, which made the process feel unwelcoming. On top of that, only one of the two elevators was working (plus the service elevator was out), so waits were long and rides were crowded. Overall, the room itself was fine, but the service and amenities definitely need some attention.

The location is great especially if getting dinner at Fogo De Chao. Fun bars in the area too. Sadly we didn't get to check out the rooftop bar, IO, at the Godfrey. Our room was not ready in time, which was a bummer, and it pushed everything we had planned back. IO also closed early due to an event. Staff tried to make it better by giving us free breakfast. That was nice, but just wish our room was ready and wish that we knew the bar was closing early sooner.

Outdated and Poorly Maintained — Not Worth the Price I rarely write reviews, but this stay was so disappointing that it deserves to be shared. We upgraded to a suite to ensure a lovely experience — especially since there were three of us and we wanted our daughter to have her own space. Unfortunately, the room was anything but lovely. Everything felt old and neglected. There was hair in the shower drain that wasn’t ours, dust and grime coated most surfaces, and I had to wipe the entire room down myself with disinfecting wipes. The towel rack fell off the wall when I tried to hang a towel. The laminate floors were filthy — I was glad I brought sandals so my bare feet never touched them. The bed was unbearably uncomfortable, creaking with every move, and felt like a spring mattress from the 1990s. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls, and it even looked like there could be mold behind it. I barely slept — it truly felt more like camping than a hotel suite. Because of the Chicago Marathon, there was no option to switch hotels or rooms, so we were effectively trapped for three nights — at an absurd $2,300 total. The only positives were the location, the complimentary mini Fiji water bottles, and breakfast at the onsite restaurant Yasemi. Beyond that, this hotel desperately needs a full renovation and serious attention to cleanliness. We will never stay here again.

The room was nice and clean, nothing to complain about. However, I paid online and upon arrival was charged an extra “resort fee” equal to about 20% of the cost. Last week I stayed at another nearby hotel and there was no such extra fee (presumably it was added to the online price). If I wanted to pay hidden fees, I’d stay in an Airbnb.

I recently stayed at JW Marriott Chicago for a business trip, and I want to extend my appreciation for the outstanding experience. The hotel combines classic elegance with modern comfort, creating an atmosphere perfectly suited for both business and relaxation. The check-in process was seamless, and the staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and provided an excellent environment to work and rest. The meeting facilities were impressive equipped with the right technology, comfortable seating, and efficient service throughout. A special mention goes to the concierge and front desk teams, who went above and beyond to accommodate last-minute requests and provide excellent recommendations. Their attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction made my stay both productive and enjoyable. I would highly recommend JW Marriott Chicago to fellow business travelers and look forward to returning on my next visit.

In comparing this JW to other JW hotels I have to rank it average. Nothing about the hotel shouted out 5 star or luxury. Yes it has the amenities to make it a 5 star but overall we were underwhelmed. The checkin process was easy but they didn’t explain any of the amenities or anything the hotel had to offer. The bed was comfortable and the thermostat was great in keeping the room at the temperature we wanted. They had nightly turn down service. We were on the 12th floor and used the lounge daily. The breakfast was the strongest food offering and they had a good assortment of options. In the evening, you could not find anyone to help you and each night I had to go and knock on the kitchen door to ask for something. The staff stayed off the floor and hidden throughout the night, something I don’t think is correct. When you found them they were nice but I think they should be visible at all times. The food in the evening was sparse but adequate for frozen hors 'd oeuvres and they offered two options each night along with hummus and a small salad. They did not have crackers or bread to have with the cheese and vegetables. Alcohol was not included in the lounge access and was an extra fee, $22 for 4-6 ounces of wine.

I had an incredible experience at the Lobby Bar inside the JW Marriott Chicago! The drinks were absolutely exquisite—creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. I also ordered the Korean wings, and honestly, they were the best I’ve ever had; perfectly crispy with just the right amount of heat and flavor. I’m not usually a dessert person, but I’m so glad I didn’t skip the piña colada cheesecake. The flavors were tropical and refreshing and it was the perfect way to end the meal. Fantastic service, great atmosphere, and an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommend!

What an experience! I was here for a conference and let me tell you, I was floored by the service and hospitality. Staff did not hesitate (in fact they offered) to go out of their way to help me, repeatedly. Another appreciated example is that staff I met on my first day and didn't see again until four days later, called me by name. I couldn't believe the lengths they went to ensure I had a wonderful stay! Also they have an awesome bar/restaurant and they make wonderful cocktails/mocktails. Highly recommend!

Excellent hotel with a really nice executive lounge. Comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms with a nice walk-in shower, and the turn-down service is appreciated. Only negative notes -- room service salmon very overcooked which was disappointing for the price, and the lounge should stay open after noon on weekends, even if just to grab a cold bottle of water or a soda.

I had a recent stay at this JW Marriott that was atrocious. As a Titanium Elite Marriott Bonvoy member I expected way better on literally all fronts. We checked in and the service was just not great. They weren’t overly friendly and the lobby was a bit of chaos and disorganized. The check in desks were a free for all with no real queue order. They did not offer me any form of upgrade. When we check in the room was mediocre, after walking through a complete maze hallway to get to the room. We stepped out for a work dinner and came back around midnight to which our room smells like complete sewer and feces. Like it was bad. Called the front desk and the sent someone from “maintenance” who didn’t even step foot in the room and from the hall way said “I could smell this room from down the hall you can’t stay in here.” He never even walked in the room. Called the desk a second time - and the hotel manager said he would send a key up and someone was on their way. We waited in the hallway for more than 20+ minutes and no one showed. I went to the desk to where there was still no key made, I got very direct with the manager who provided a key to another room on the same floor that also smelled like feces and sewer (clearly no one checked this room either before putting there.) I went BACK to the lobby again and expressed my extreme frustration and at this point beyond 2am exhaustion as a very busy business traveler. They explained they had no other rooms available and were “sorry” once again having not personally checked the rooms themselves. The woman desk worker at this point randomly found an “accessible” room and the manager walked us up this time after me pitching a fit about him not even personally looking at any of the rooms, this room did not smell but the shower was so small that the curtain touched your leg just by standing in the shower and we just could not do it. At this point it was all so bad I had the hotel move me out to another Marriott property. We didn’t go to sleep until after 4am and the manager was nervously stuttering all over his words. I expect better experiences and better customer service as a Titanium member, let alone at a JW Marriott that as you can imagine wasn’t cheap in down town Chicago on a Bears game home weekend. I will not return to this property and I am extremely disappointed with the entirety of how this was handled. People cannot sleep or be expected to stay in an environment with the extreme sewer smells we experienced. Other people on our hallway were also complaining that their rooms smelled so bad on our floor and in the lobby another woman was complaining that her hallway smelled like feet. The front desk manager seemed extremely incompetent and did not handle our disappointment very well. It was pretty shocking and I don’t know if it’s because he already knew we were in a bad room and bad floor and was embarrassed or if he just did not have very good people skills - but I am still angry about this experience. Won’t be back to this hotel.

The rooms are delightful, and the location is incredibly convenient to restaurants and bars. It is so quiet that it is a perfect place for a peaceful stay. I could barely hear the street. The lobby is lively, a nice place to be, and it does not disturb other guests. This is a perfect location to relax without any loud disturbances at all hours. We routinely returned from dinner to a serene and welcoming lobby, with friendly staff and other guests who were respectful and mindful of others' space. The nice rugs and decorations are a brilliant touch, creating a restful atmosphere throughout the hotel. The pillows are luxuriously soft and fluffy, we slept so well every night. We also dined at the restaurant. The staff was very clearly respectful of the other guests (of every race), they immediately tended on them and were impartial. I very much recommend staying here; it’s worth every penny. And FYI, at any hotel, if you’re cheap and book through Expedia, you will get the worst, closest-to-the-lobby rooms. You get what you pay for; so, book through Marriott. Do not pay any mind to reviews from people like McKenzie Darr or C H. They are bitter, entitled people. I am a Gold Elite member who’s also stayed over 400 nights, and I realize that this status does not mean I automatically get priority and worship over everyone else. This is one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had.

Day 1, shower not draining, ankles covered in water, my wife could not use shower. Maintenance came to repair, but Window drape off its track not touched though I requested it be taken care of. Day 2, shower still VERY slow to drain and ankle deep in water but did drain eventually, wife able to shower after it drained, she too got ankle soaking. Let front desk know. Room was not cleaned. Housekeeping said that I must have left the DND light on (which I did not). Manager of front desk told me he was sorry and gave me his card saying "Call me if you choose to stay with us again, and I'll make your reservation myself and make sure your stay is perfect". For a $1,500 two night stay I would have expected to be compensated in some way. Breakfast would have solved the whole thing. ***For the record, Trump properties have been great in past stays. In Chicago next time I think I'll try something else.

Seriously amazing! I love the bathroom!!!!! Huge room as you can see! The view is amazing and a completely stocked mini bar! Note there is a Walgreens close by about 100 yards out the backside facing the river! Overall fancy! I love it.

I was surprised by the vibe of this hotel. The staff is so warm and welcoming. Recommended for the location as well.
