Cindy's Rooftop is a trendy and stylish bar and eatery located at the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel in the Loop. It offers seasonal dishes and boasts breathtaking views of Millennium Park, Cloud Gate, Navy Pier, and Lake Michigan from its glass atrium and outdoor terrace. The bar serves high-quality drinks that complement the stunning vistas.
Cindy’s Rooftop was one of the most memorable moments of our trip to Chicago. The view, stretching over Millennium Park and Lake Michigan, is absolutely magical—especially at sunset, when the sky turns warm shades and the city lights start to sparkle. The atmosphere is refined yet welcoming, with friendly and attentive service. Every dish is beautifully prepared, both in flavor and presentation. A perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion or simply treat yourself to an unforgettable moment. During the res i had clearly "wedding anniversary" (check the email july 23rd) That said, having booked from Italy to celebrate our anniversary, we couldn’t have known there would be such a loud and constant level of noise that made conversation almost impossible. Unfortunately, we were first seated at a table with one chair and a soft, sinking couch that made it impossible to sit properly and eat. Only after I complained—imagine the difficulty of doing so on our wedding anniversary—the manager showed no real concern for our situation. I even explained that nothing on the reservation website said, “for dining or for falling asleep on a mushy couch.” I was ready to leave, disappointed and upset, when a wonderful waiter (you were fantastic!) stepped in and found a chair for me. Not for a couple! Waiter: 10/10. Manager: 3/10
Francesco G — Google review
Delicious food and generous portions — we tried the salmon, meat, and a roasted carrot starter, all outstanding. The atmosphere is great, and the rooftop view over Millennium Park is spectacular. You can grab a drink without a reservation, but I recommend booking ahead for the restaurant. Definitely worth the visit!
Adriana C — Google review
The rooftop in Chicago is definitely a place worth visiting. It has incredible views and a very, very pleasant design. The service is correct, and the food is just okay — nothing special — but that’s not really the point. What truly makes it stand out is the atmosphere: the views, the design, and the overall vibe of the place are amazing. It’s absolutely worth going at least once to enjoy the experience and take in the city from above
Salvador T — Google review
What a great spot. We only had drinks, but the atmosphere was great. We hung out for a good while and before leaving took in the fab view. Before you go all the way up, walk up one flight of stairs and take in the hotel foyer. Full of history. It used to be a male only club. Fantastic features.
Seamus M — Google review
Our favorite thing was the garlic bread, best one we’ve ever had! The scallops were good too. The tuna was different but good. My boyfriend also loved the oysters. Very nice view of Chicago
Natalie E — Google review
Gorgeous roof restaurant attached by an open-roof terrace looking over the park and lake. Their dishes are pretty average and servers tend to rush you through your ongoing meal but you don’t expect the highest qualities of foods or hospitality from a place like this so I’d say it’s still pretty acceptable. Go for the view and the vibe.
Kyuwon L — Google review
Cindy’s Rooftop has a beautiful panoramic view over Chicago and the park, which makes the atmosphere feel special and memorable. The drinks were well prepared and the staff stayed friendly and attentive the whole time. Even though the place can get busy, the service didn’t feel rushed or chaotic. Prices are higher than average, but the view and the overall vibe make the experience worth it. It’s a great spot for photos, casual celebrations, or just enjoying the city from above
Masherins G — Google review
Our experience was underwhelming especially considering the price point. For the positives, the rooftop is great with an amazing view. The food tasted good for the most part. Service was incredibly slow. We hadn't gotten our drinks until 40 mins after we placed the order. It took another 15-20 mins for us to get the food. Our waiter was very distracted and never once checked in with us during our meal. Cocktails were basic. I would rather just do the "bar and view" instead of dining, if I decide to come back.

RAISED | An Urban Rooftop Bar is a trendy hotel lounge located at the Renaissance Hotel, offering both indoor and outdoor seating with a deck that provides stunning views of the Chicago skyline. The bar features a fully open garden terrace with cabanas and couches, making it an ideal spot for visitors seeking an authentic Chicago experience. The menu showcases locally sourced ingredients and a craft beer selection from nearby breweries.
Such a great spot for cocktails with a view! 🍸 We stopped by for a few drinks and a bite, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is relaxed but lively, with stunning views of the Chicago skyline all around. Perfect place to unwind, enjoy well-crafted cocktails, and share some delicious bites. The food was surprisingly good for a rooftop bar, flavorful and nicely presented. Highly recommend for date nights, out-of-town guests or just treating yourself ❤️
Arina S — Google review
it’s a great spot for craft cocktails here. It’s unique and fancy drinks. Good view facing the river. Good vibe. less busy than london house and Cindy’s.
Pharuewisa P — Google review
The service was a little slow because they were busy, but nothing outrageous which was great. Despite the wait for an outdoor table, my friends and I had a great time. The food was really good and so was the atmosphere. There were nice areas to take pictures. The service was attentive. We had a blast.
Hilda H — Google review
Nice vibes + good food and drinks = a great birthday celebration. When our party of 8 arrived there was a long wait for the outdoor terrace so we opted for a cozy section near the bar. We had a great time.
Tonya B — Google review
I recently visited RAISED | An Urban Rooftop Bar. The service was great—friendly and attentive staff, and the vibe was really nice. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite meet expectations. I ordered a burger and a type of steak stew, and both dishes were extremely salty, which made it hard to enjoy the flavors. I really wanted to love the food as much as the atmosphere, but I hope they make some adjustments in the kitchen. Still, a great spot for drinks and a view!
Erick M — Google review
We expected a lot from Raised Rooftop bar and when it came to our loft drink expectations, the bar and service fully delivered....BUT we were deciding between a few roof tops bars for drinks and dinner and chose Raised.....this is NOT a rooftop....it's a patio, on the 3rd floor. We wound up just ordering fries (which were excellent) and moved on. Highly recommend this place but it is NOT a rooftop bar
Ron B — Google review
Our business dinner at RAISED Urban Rooftop Bar was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the vibrant yet sophisticated atmosphere. The space strikes a perfect balance—modern and stylish with panoramic city views that set the tone for a memorable evening. The ambiance made it ideal not only for socializing but also for creating a welcoming environment where our team could truly connect outside the office. The food was excellent—beautifully presented, fresh, and flavorful. Every plate was crafted with care, offering a menu that satisfied both adventurous and classic palates. From small bites to mains, each dish exceeded expectations and paired perfectly with the creative cocktail selections. What truly elevated the night, however, was the customer service, which was second to none. The staff anticipated our needs without being intrusive, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and that our team felt valued throughout the evening. Attentive, professional, and genuinely warm, they transformed a great dinner into an outstanding experience. RAISED delivered on all fronts—ambiance, cuisine, and hospitality. It is without question one of the best venues in Chicago for hosting a team dinner, client gathering, or simply enjoying a night out in the city. We look forward to returning and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a top-tier rooftop dining experience.

The J. Parker is a swanky rooftop bar located at the Hotel Lincoln, offering handcrafted cocktails and a light New American menu with stunning city views. The venue features glass walls and a retractable roof to provide unobstructed views of Lincoln Park, along with fireplaces to keep the outdoor terrace warm on chilly nights.
I loved the vibes, the view, and the pancakes! We came around lunchtime and were seated quickly. Our server was kind and attentive. The pancakes did take quite a while to arrive but they were so good it made me forget that. An immediate yes! 10/10. The sun was shining and we as a group had a good time!
Maryam A — Google review
Definitely a place for the views but the views are outstanding! It was overpriced in my opinion for the amount of food you get. Food was decent. Although they were short staffed they did a phenomenal job of checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. The service and the views are what made this a good experience!
D Y — Google review
The view was beautiful . Charlie was the best! He was very accommodating & made sure we were well taken care of. We wanted to sit outside but the seats were a little wet & he made sure to get dry replacement cushions for us. Best service I’ve received, he was the absolute best & sweetest.
K — Google review
This is one of the best rooftop spots in Chicago, offering incredible views of Lincoln Park, the zoo, and the downtown skyline. The menu is small but the food is excellent, and the cocktails are crafted really well. The staff is warm and welcoming, which makes the overall experience very enjoyable.
Natasa P — Google review
We had a birthday celebration here. The staff were so very nice and overly accommodating. Such a relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed the flourless chocolate cake and cheesecake. Very wonderful. So sad that they had no coffee. We all wanted coffee! Lovely view!
Jocelyn D — Google review
The food is great! Rooftop view is beautiful! Bottomless mimosas $25 per person! The only thing was our server Sebastian, was very slow and not very attentive. He also lacked etiquette like reaching over my food to pour my mimosa without saying excuse me etc. BUT other than that amazing!!! Fried donut holes for the table, my aunt had the smash burger, I had the huevos ranchero, my man had the egg sandwich.
D B — Google review
Three well-dressed, non-revealing women tried visiting this place after having a wonderful brunch at Americano (adjacent to the Lincoln hotel). I already had doubts, about two years ago I had a friend who was murdered here, but since I didn’t realize where I was I hoped we’d be safe on a Sunday afternoon. However, to my surprise, we didn’t receive a welcomed greeting;, I get it was raining so uncovered tables shouldn’t seat patrons, but there was open seating. We were told the place had no seating and that we could go stand at the bar after inquiring (staff also went to confirm). Upon approaching we were handed what they claim to be an outdated menu which said Sun-Thur was happy hour, when we mentioned it to staff his unprofessional reply was “you can order whatever you want, just not at that price” WTH I didn’t create the menu. Bye Felicia we took our leave, I refuse to give you a dime. As most reviews say the drinks are overpriced and I didn’t see anything so great about the views. In addition, it’s obvious management could care less. I don’t recommend going here. PS - beware of the janky elevator it quickly closed on my friend, she could have gotten hurt.
Lady T — Google review
my gf and i went here for a happy hour date. we were taken aback by the stunning views of the sunset and the lakefront. the glass walls and ceilings let you see every color of the sky. once the sun sets, you’re surrounded by city lights. we enjoyed delish espresso martinis for $10 and our waiter Abe was delightful! 🌇⚡️🍸

Tanta Chicago is a stylish Peruvian restaurant known for its inventive Peruvian dishes and pisco sour cocktail. Despite being a seafood-focused spot, it offers an impressive selection of flavorful vegetarian options such as Quinoa A Lo Pobre and shareables like Peruvian Corn Cake and Empanada De Tamalito Verde. The restaurant provides an alternative to typical outdoor seating arrangements with its high-rise setting.
Amazing dinner at Tanta in Chicago. Food is delicious for your eyes and for your mouth. The waiter gave us excellent recommendations on dishes. Everything tasted fresh, exotic, super balanced. The location is modern and elegant. Absolutely to try!
Cristina P — Google review
I visited Tanta Cocina Peruana recently and found the flavors really exciting — their ceviche was fresh and vibrant, full of bright citrus notes. The presentation was artistic and modern, which impressed me, though I felt one of the main dishes (the steak) was a bit over-cooked for my taste. Dessert was enjoyable, especially the balance of sweetness, but the portions seemed slightly small
Brandon C — Google review
Still going strong since 2013! They keep bringing inventive Peruvian cuisine to us. Their Unita Kaipa and scallops are new dishes worth digging into. Home to the best pisco sour but their Royal Pisco is unbeatable. So vibrant and lively! Perfect date night and service is lovely! Awesome location too. @chicagopescetarian
Pooja N — Google review
We tried several dishes at Tanta Chicago and overall we had a great experience. The drinks were an A+. The Pisco Sour was perfect and the Lima Llama cocktail was fantastic. Definitely two of our favorites of the night. For food, the Pulpo Acebichado was super tender and flavorful. The Lomo Saltado was excellent and perfectly seasoned. We ordered the Cebiche Trio which included the Clásico, Limeño and Nikkei versions and it was absolutely delicious. We also had the Empanada Trio and all three were great. The Causa Nikkei, which is their tuna tartare, was incredibly yummy and one of our favorites of the evening. The only dish we would skip next time is the Aeropuerto. It just didn’t hit the same level as everything else. Our server, Ivan, was very good and knowledgeable about the menu which made the experience even better. Overall, amazing flavors, great cocktails and definitely worth coming back.
Mindysv — Google review
We ate the chef's tasting menu on the rooftop patio, and I 100% recommend. Each dish displayed fusion, with a Peruvian base and some Japanese sprinkling, and featured traditional flavors that were unique--some unique to Chicago, such as authentic huacatay, and some made unique at Tanta, such as the lychee-inspired ceviche. Our favorites were definitely this ceviche, the ahi over plantain, and the steak and truffle. What's more: I've had multiple tasting menus at other restaurants before and often leave somewhat hungry. That was not the case here! We even packed some leftovers!
M S — Google review
Great food ruined by terrible service and system! 1 star out of 5! Came in on fourth of July with my girlfriend. Our first stop of our trip to Chicago. I had a reservation for 5 pm and just in time to enjoy their happy hour menu. The host was friendly and helped us pick a table to sit down. The views were immaculate and the atmosphere was vibrant and modern. Our first problem which was unprecedented was the fact that we couldn’t order off the happy hour menu because it was exclusive to the bar. Then they told us that due to the holiday, they couldn’t honor their happy hour menu at the restaurant at all! After so many contradictions, they finally allowed us to order off the happy hour menu but we had to move our menus/ drinks to the bar. Unpleasant and baffled situation. Mind you, the restaurant had only 5 people dining in (including us) Once we arrived to the bar I explicitly addressed my gratitude and apologies because we Were not trying to be complicated which was unnecessary since i was just looking for the happy hour menu THEY ADVERTISED. To my comment, the barista just shrugged it off and did not acknowledged it. Very unhappy with that. Didn’t think much of it since i thought maybe he hadn’t heard me so i went ahead and ordered drinks On my reservation I specifically requested for them to do something special for my anniversary that day, which was not even acknowledged nor respected. At that point our reservation had already been ruined twice and i hadn’t even taken the first sip of my drink yet. I asked for a recommendation which we ordered: the pisco sour clásico and the ELCHINGON. The drink itself was nothing special but it was well presented. The pisco sour had an overly smell and flavor of egg so we couldn’t finish it. For our food, we ordered the ceviche limeño and the ceviche clásico. The food itself is very good. Full of flavor and depth. The leche de tigre is just the right amount of poignant and citrusy. Had the service been better, we would’ve order more! DISCLAIMER: the entree dishes on the happy hour menu are a-lot smaller than the normal dishes. Not a deal breaker since they are almost half the price but something to keep on mind. The barista was not attentive which was odd considering it was us and another gentleman at the bar. Most of the water refills and conversations were done by the friendly busser. When we had enough of the terrible experience, we requested the bill in which the barista responded with: “that’s it? only two little ceviches?! ” Which felt like a slap on the face considering he was one of the main reasons we were taking our business elsewhere. We left with grace and left an undeserved 20% tip. Would come back if the service, system was better but will stay away and opt for other great Peruvian places in chicago!
Jojhan G — Google review
The food is lovely and the atmosphere is great. The service is attentive. The only minor negative would be that the tables are very close to eachother especially for people in 2’s. We loved the tres leches cake for dessert and the salmon dish was amazing !
Arundhati S — Google review
We got there at 5:30PM on Monday. It was nice and quiet since they’d just opened for the day. We got a chicha and maracuya juice to start, both were kind of off. The maracuya was weak and I can’t put my finger on what was weird about the chicha but I didn’t finish it. I ordered a maracuya sour and it was nice but it didn’t impress me. We ordered the ceviche which was delicious and fresh. So things were looking up. We then got the lomo saltado and arroz con pato. Both delicious and well done. We were really happy with how it tasted, I guess it was just the drinks we weren’t impressed with. The service was probably the best part of the experience. I wish I’d gotten their names to add to the review. They were checking in on how we were doing often and making sure our water glasses were never empty. Very professional, very friendly, just great all around. The rooftop is gorgeous and the music was great. As a Peruvian, I’d recommend this as a high-end place for Peruvian food.

The menu features a variety of shareable dishes, including delectable ceviche options and flavorful arroz con pollo. Guests can also indulge in an array of tropical-inspired cocktails crafted with Latin spirits.
DELICIOUS!!! My first rooftop dining experience and first time trying Peruvian food! Worth every penny. This would be a great date night spot. The staff was so friendly and the view was incredible. I loved all of the cilantro 😍 We went on a Monday but definitely recommend a reservation

Our last dinner before leaving was a great one. Although we had a slow start, waiting a good 10 minutes before someone came to the table, they quickly recovered and the food came out fast. All items were delicious. We will definitely return on our next visit.

First time visiting this spot at the Hoxton in West Loop. Great views and atmosphere although it's difficult to get a table on the patio, they go fast. Menu is seafood heavy, but still has good variety. The fried cheese over green beans, empanadas, and halibut were the standouts. Was not able to get good photos, but the presentation was excellent. Service was friendly and fast.
C L — Google review
The empanadas were my absolute favorite, very flaky, well seasoned goat filling and delicious sauce to go with it. The steak saltado and the salchipapaa were also really good, balanced with interesting flavors. The Shrimp Tacu Tacu was not our favorite but it was something new and interesting to try. We came for bunch but plan to come back for dinner!

I had one summer bucket list item left- eat at a rooftop patio restaurant. Cabra was everything I envisioned and more- to my surprise, the food was so good, I probably could have been thrilled eating here if it was in the basement! Cabra feels like a patio even "inside". The view is beautiful, it's great to see the city, as the city is much more than just the lake. I had the salmon ceviche to start and literally I could have been done there in my delight. It was so good, I wanted to lick the bowl. After that, each item was somehow better than the last. I had the chicken, the dish with crab and potatoes, the halibut, and thennnnn THE SWEET POTATO DONUTS. 😍 I didn't mention the drinks, which were also lovely. Well balanced and delicious Ok it's not cheap. But what is to be expected when the FOOD & the VIEW & the STAFF.... AND the entire place. It's completely worth it for girls night, date night, or just for a moment when you want to feel like you're on top of the world and fed like royalty. 😋

Cabra is one of my favorite spots to bring friends when they come to visit. I highly recommend the happy hour menu. The pisco sour is phenomenal and a steal at $11 in the city. We had the chicken & goat empanadas (very good, chicken is better but try the goat), the salchipapas that had fries the same style as McDonalds, the spicy wings that are finished on the grill that had my friend licking her fingers, the avocado dip which as someone who does not like avocado was amazing, and finally the queso which I would say was the most lack-luster dish we had but was still decent.
Reilly D — Google review
Everything was just okay overall. My friend and I came by on a Monday evening around 4 PM. We started with the avocado dip and empanadas (one chicken and one goat). The empanadas were definitely the highlight—flavorful, perfectly cooked, and easily the best part of our meal. For entrées, I ordered the steak saltado and my friend had the halibut. The halibut leaned a bit on the spicier side, but it was seasoned well and cooked nicely. The steak saltado was decent but nothing particularly memorable. The best part of the night, aside from the empanadas, was watching the sunset from our table—it really added to the atmosphere. They also offer a happy hour menu, which is definitely a plus.

Offshore Rooftop is a chic rooftop venue located on the third floor of Navy Pier's Festival Hall in Chicago. It debuted as the largest rooftop site in America in 2019, offering sweeping views of Lake Michigan. The spacious hangout provides ample room for mingling and features a coastal-inspired menu with dishes like Beer-Battered Fish Sliders and Corn Succotash, along with refreshing cocktails such as Gimme Smore.
We visited Offshore Rooftop Restaurant for the first time on Father’s Day (2025). What a wonderful place to celebrate this occasion. The views of Lake Michigan were amazing throughout the establishment. We ordered off of the Sunday Brunch menu and were not disappointed. The food was flavorful with an attention to detail of the presentation of their food. Our waitress, Stephanie was amazing to work with. She was super friendly and professional. Just a note that parking is expensive at the Navy Pier. The restaurant is highly recommended!

Me and my sister visited Offshore Rooftop at night to get a few drinks and enjoy the view. What a low key vibe it was. The views of Lake Michigan and the city were amazing at night throughout the establishment. The staff were amazing and the drinks were excellent. Super friendly and professional. Would recommend!!

My friend and i were looking for a place to try in Chicago and had a few options. Offshore had lower ratings but we wanted the view so said “eh let’s try it anyway!” We were pleasantly surprised with everything! Staff was very attentive and fun to interact with. Drinks were wonderful, food presentation and flavors were excellent and the view was lovely over the city. Thanks all for taking care of us and treating us to a wonderful evening!

I really enjoyed this place! The food was delicious, and the view was absolutely stunning. We were celebrating my birthday, and they surprised us with a complimentary chocolate plate with a candle, which made the evening even more special. The service was excellent, and the overall experience was wonderful. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a memorable spot in Chicago!

Fantastic breakfast with unbeatable views! A relaxing morning vibe with fresh coffee, delicious pastries, and lakefront scenery that’s hard to beat. The staff were warm and attentive, and the ambiance was perfect for a peaceful start to the day. Highly recommend for a scenic, satisfying breakfast in Chicago.

The view itself is sooo beautiful!! Especially at golden hour! The food was good and the chocolate martini!! OH MY, so good!! The music was good and I wish I went on a sunny busy day bc the outside lounge is so big and has fun games, would be awesome to celebrate and enjoy outside!!

Offshore Rooftop is a true gem in Chicago! The atmosphere is unbeatable—with a panoramic view of Lake Michigan, it’s the perfect spot to unwind and take in the beauty of the city’s skyline and water. What made our experience even better was the excellent service. Our server, Marla, was absolutely splendid—attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of without ever being intrusive. Her warm personality added a personal touch to our visit. We sipped on delicious drinks while enjoying the lake breeze and gorgeous sunset. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Offshore Rooftop is the ideal spot for a relaxing evening with great vibes, drinks, great staff, and unforgettable views.
Adam L — Google review
The Offshore Rooftop scenery was absolutely breathtaking, it offers a one-of-a-kind view of the Chicago skyline (located on the navy pier), and the restaurant is very spacious. The staff were enthusiastic and extremely friendly. We Ordered: - Bourbon Berry French Toast Soufflé - Raspberry Mascarpone Cheese, Blueberry Bourbon Sauce, Served With Vanilla Whipped Cream & Maple Syrup. - Scrambled Egg And Sourdough Bread. I genuinely enjoyed the French toast it would have been my favourite French Toast in Chicago if it was a brioche instead of a sponge cake. The French Toast base is fundamental it can dictate the entire experience. It was a large cube instead of the traditional rectangular shaped soft brioche which is my preference. However, everything else was lovely. Overall Offshore Rooftop is a restaurant I would highly recommend if you are visiting Chicago.

Cerise Rooftop, located on the 26th floor of the Virgin Hotel in Chicago's Loop neighborhood, offers a vibrant rooftop experience with stunning city views. The venue provides an indoor-outdoor space where guests can enjoy lunch, dinner, or late-night drinks while taking in the impressive downtown scenery. Known for its energetic atmosphere and eclectic design, Cerise features bold cocktails and a rotating lineup of DJs to keep the nightlife alive.
Absolutely loved my first time here. The vibes were immaculate, food delicious, service friendly. Loved the view and the sunshine. My ONLY negative is the plastic cups. Now I understand the reasons behind it but at $20 a cocktail, no reason why they can’t invest in hard plastic martini glasses, etc.
Jonathan R — Google review
This bar is a cheap dump. I’m embarrassed for Virgin Hotels to have such an unimpressive, hooky, cheesy bar. The food is expensive $16.00 for steak fries with light sprinkle of cheese. The martini I ordered was watered down Kettle One supposedly but didn’t feel a thing from it. The views are beautiful and the Dj was decent. I can’t in all fairness recommend this rooftop bar.
Anne R — Google review
We had high hopes for this rooftop bar, especially since it appeared on several “best rooftop” lists for Chicago. My drink, a tropical mix of mango, pineapple, and tequila, was one of those influencer-style cocktails and honestly, it was fantastic. Refreshing, flavorful, and worth mentioning. Unfortunately, almost everything else about the experience fell flat. We arrived right at midnight and were able to step outside and see the rooftop patio, which looked like the kind of vibe we came for. However, the moment we ordered and paid for our drinks, literally within minutes, they abruptly closed the outdoor area without any prior warning. If we had known the patio was closing, we wouldn’t have ordered at all,we would have simply left. That felt extremely misleading and left us stuck inside with our overpriced drinks. The indoor space was a huge downgrade: awkward atmosphere, bad lighting, and music that didn’t match the rooftop energy. My drink was good, but my friend’s was terrible, completely off balance. We thought maybe we could salvage the night by heading to the hotel lobby (since it’s part of the Virgin Hotels) to finish our drinks. They were served in plastic cups, not even glass, so we figured it wouldn’t be an issue. But just as we were getting on the elevator, a staff member stopped us and said we couldn’t take the drinks down. To top it all off, the drinks were nearly $50,$60 for just two, with a tip already included, and yet they still prompted for an additional tip. All in all, this place was a major disappointment. With so many fantastic rooftops in Chicago offering great views, vibes, and transparency, this one just didn’t deliver. I wouldn’t go back or recommend it, even though my drink was genuinely good, the rest of the experience simply wasn’t worth it.

Cerise Rooftop city view was breathtaking! The views were solid as the skylines lit up the nights sky. Creating an intimate and comfortable atmosphere. As we continuously looked for seats to relax and converse the pickings were slim. My advice would be to get there early for a decent seat. It was way too crowded for our taste — definitely not the spot if you’re into more secluded, laid-back vibes. Also, Security hovered the entire time, which made it feel less like a lounge and more like a club. Strangely, they checked our bags but didn’t pat anyone down, which felt inconsistent. And there wasn’t a DRESS CODE. It was also a mixed crowd with young folks, the mature adults and the life of the party folks! Our Drinks were a cup of red wine and a Coke & Jack. Drinks were overpriced and came in plastic cups — not exactly what you’d expect from a place trying to feel upscale. Wine in a plastic cup is distasteful, and Cerise excessively lacks wine etiquette. With half the space outdoors and no clear vibe, it just didn’t hit the mark for us.
Sadą Ñ — Google review
I went for the first time it was great! I just wish they had speakers outside on the rooftop. They should also invest in a tent or overhead to be open all year round the rooftop part. Try the Mediterranean fries are bomb!
Linnie B — Google review
It is much overrated. Food is not really good. Drinks overpriced. The cloth napkins fabric fibers transferred to our clothing which was really irritating. Service is ok but not great. Views are not bad but better rooftops are available. We were celebrating our anniversary but really not what we were expecting in terms of type of service and experience. I recommend trump rooftop, great service and way much different level of service, experience, professionalism, better food variety and same prices.

Beautiful rooftop in downtown. Drinks were well made and delicious. Bartenders not in the best mood but still fine with us. Our server was so nice and attentive to all our needs. When we arrived at first there wasn’t any tables on the deck but after just 10 mins a spot opened up. Killer views. I’m surprised I haven’t gone before. Will come again in the Spring when the weathers nice again. :D

Z Bar, located on the sixth floor of The Peninsula Hotel in Chicago, offers a posh and upscale lounge experience. The bar boasts expertly crafted cocktails with extravagant options like the Manhattan Royale made with premium whiskey or bourbon and adorned with 24-karat gold flakes. Guests can also indulge in a variety of globally inspired tapas such as tuna tartare, chicken karaage, and daikon frites.
It's been a minute since my last visit here but it's just as nice as I remembered. Great drinks and service. The snacks are pretty decent too (get the daikon fries).

recently visited Z Bar at the Peninsula Chicago for a light evening of appetizers and dessert, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The restaurant has a cozy and elegant ambiance, making it a perfect spot to unwind. The menu offered a great variety, and I cannot recommend the warm vanilla bean beignets enough – they were heavenly and a must-try! The service was impeccable. Sara, our server, was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed, while Julia, the host, greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome from the start. Overall, Z Bar exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a refined yet comfortable dining experience in Chicago.
ARI K — Google review
Me and my friend were visiting from out of town. Both of us enjoy to spend our evenings with good food, drinks and nice views. However Z bar, left us both underwhelmed and disappointed. When we first arrived we waited at the hostess stand for about 30 minutes and no one was there to sit us. We noticed two couples get seated before us and they arrived after us. When the hostess came towards us, she started asking us questions about our hotel room and if we were guests. Also she didn't ask where we would like to sit like the couples in front of us. None of these hotel questions were asked to the couples in front of us, which gave a hint of casual racism and discrimination. I've lived in many other big cities and would never expect to experience this service from Z Bar in Chicago. Definitely left with a poor taste. Although it was an unwelcoming environment when we first arrived, our server was polite and attentive. We enjoyed our drinks and the view. The oysters were okay. However I would not recommend them.

Fun and very creative cocktails, they also have a great selection of whiskey, and the view is wonderful. Very comfortable and chic atmosphere, they even have blankets and a fire pit.

Z Bar in Chicago, located in the iconic Peninsula Hotel, is a classy lounge with both an elegant indoor space — featuring a stunning central bar — and an outdoor terrace where you can soak in the beautiful skyline views. The cocktails are excellent, and I really appreciated the personalized service from the bartender, who crafted a custom mocktail just for me — and it was delicious! I’ll definitely be back for a night out with friends.

Uptempo vibe. Staff super nice. Adam behind the bar was friendly and playful banter. Cool atmosphere. Outdoor space too. Which was chic as you can see in the pics.

Having spent a long day shopping, we were looking for a pick-me-up in a relaxed atmosphere. The hostess Yulia went out of her way to seat us in a quieter section of the bar, and even gave us a rather generously spaced booth where we could set down our many bags. We were so grateful! Our server Melissa was no less attentive and professional. She knows the menu by heart and guided us to the right choices. Highly recommend the paloma (pictured), the seasonal sliders, the caviar potato bites, and the lemongrass mousse. Melissa is one of those rare servers who shows up just at the right moments: she kept our water and tea perpetually full, checked in with us about our food, and made some pleasant small talk. A truly wonderful experience and we hope to be back soon.

My friends and I went to the Z Bar at the Peninsula Hotel in downtown Chicago for some midday drinks and a terrace view of the city. The environment and service in there were fantastic, since it’s a five-star hotel. They even have fire pits outside. We didn’t stay outside long because it’s cold but we took some photos and went back inside. It’s a nice bougie and comfortable spot to hang out :)

Aba is a chic destination offering elevated Mediterranean cuisine and cocktails, with a lounge-style rooftop patio. The lush urban rooftop is helmed by bartender Liz Pearce, featuring rare Mediterranean wines and spirits, as well as reserve cocktails like the 5th Generation margarita. Top Chef alum CJ Jacobson's menu includes flavor-packed plates such as short rib hummus and char-grilled lamb chops.
Gorgeous, lively atmosphere paired with fantastic food and cocktails made this spot unforgettable. The servers were warm and attentive, and even small details like the clean restrooms stood out. The dishes were beautifully presented — almost too pretty to eat — and tasted just as good as they looked. Our waiter was excellent, offering thoughtful recommendations that really elevated the meal. Compliments to both the chef and the entire staff for creating such a memorable dining experience.

We went to Aba for brunch and it was such a great experience! They recommend at least 4 items for 2 people, and every dish we tried was excellent and absolutely mouthwatering. The Mediterranean cuisine with a California influence makes the flavors so fresh and unique. Both the outdoor patio and indoor seating are beautiful , definitely a place worth visiting. I love their food and enjoyed every bite! Want to visit again during lunch time!

Through and through this is a 5 star joint. The food is incredible, well plated and paired incredibly well with the bottle of orange wine. The garlic hummus is a must try, the pita was fresh, and the steak frites was cooked to perfect temperature. This is a must visit place for me everytime I’m in Chicago. Make sure to make a reservation, but if not, put in your name and go down the street to grab a drink, this spot is well worth the wait! A bit on the pricier side, but the food is definitely worth the cost! Great place for a business meal, or just to try out some small plates with your buddies!

Alright y'all. This was one of the best meals I've had in recent memory. The moment you step inside this place, you know you're in for something great. Every single thing we ordered was delicious. We went for happy hour and tried the dip trio (hummus/feta/eggplant) and each one was amazing. Believe it or not, they do a great margarita too. Also, if you like lamb, GET IT! perfectly cooked (medium rare for us) and the flavor was incredible. Service was 10/10. You will not be disappointed. There's a reason why this place has a near perfect score with 6,000+ reviews. Cheers.

Let’s start off with the good. The atmosphere is gorgeous. The city view was grand. The lighting and the foliage were beautiful. I’ve traveled to Chicago a handful of times, and I’ve enjoyed Aba in the past. Every time I visit I try to make an effort to come here and eat! It was THE first restaurant my best friend took me too, and I wanted to celebrate here for my birthday—however it was anything but nice. The hostess was welcoming. Our server acted like she didn’t want us there. It was far from being welcoming. She rarely checked up on us. It seemed as if us being there was trouble for her. This was not how past experiences was. For me going to a nice restaurant I highly judge the service. This was not it. However the people who ran the food were lovely and kind. The food was not as good or close to good as I remembered. Maybe they were having an off night. We had hummus with the short ribs it was not as tender or big in portion size as I remembered. The pita bread was STILL SO AMAZING! The chicken thigh had a sour taste, and I felt as if the profile of the dish did not complement one another. The salmon was good but it wasn’t special …the steak frites were def the best of what we ordered but like it wasn’t amazing … the shrimp dish that came like escargot needs to be reevaluated…the shrimp was over cooked and just didn’t understand the presentation. I also had a mocktail and I felt like they used to be better. I truly wanted to love eating here and have a special time due to it also being my birthday. It was disappointing. Aba vs girl and the goat (though different foods same price range) I would rather spend my money at girl and the goat.
Terri V — Google review
Pricey! But great service at the bar. Eddie is a cool, friendly server. I ordered the crispy chicken thighs and my partner order the steak frites. We took the green line here. The hostess was meh. I wouldn’t come back but I don’t regret trying this place. Ambiance is cool and dim-lit. Nice date spot or hang with friends. Keep in mind it’s busy on weekends.
Naijayemm — Google review
Aba in Chicago was absolutely incredible! Definitely one of the top restaurants I’ve ever enjoyed. We were a group of four and ordered about 10 dishes to share, and every single one was spot on. The garlic hummus, eggplant, potatoes, falafel, whipped feta, fries, brussels sprouts, scallops, pork belly, salmon, and steak were all bursting with flavor and tasted fresh and authentic. The standout for me was how balanced and thoughtfully prepared each dish was. The only thing that wasn’t my personal favorite was the added sweetness in the Brussels sprouts, I’m more of a savory girlie and prefer salty over sweet, but that’s just me. The ambiance was lovely, lively, and warm, with such a great vibe throughout the night. Between the food, service, and atmosphere, Aba truly lives up to the hype and is a must-visit spot in Chicago!!

The experience here was *chef kiss*. From thr service to the food, everything was hands down amazing. When my group of 3 girlfriends & I walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile & bright welcome. They were super accommodating for us even though we were running behind (we did call in to let them know we were running late). The servers were super knowledgeable about the menu from food to cocktails. This was my first experience in a Chicago restaurant & they made it so awesome. Can't wait to come back! ☺️

Came here to enjoy an after work happy hour and loved it! We were a pretty big group but we were able to be seated fairly easily which was much appreciated. The drinks were really great! Had a wide variety and you’ll instantly earn cool points for having a Penicillin on the menu. Service was good too and this spot is absolutely beautiful - I walked in and was so amazed. I can’t speak to the food as we only tried the pizza which was good. Overall I’d definitely come back for drinks if I lived in the area.

Arrived at the restaurant and the host just directed me straight to the bar top due to just being one person which I assumed everything else was reserved. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and friendly. The drinks were very good. I ordered the cucumber gin and tonic which was really good. I also ordered pizza but that was a solid 7/10. The restaurant was very clean. Going to the restrooms was a bit confusing but was able to find it. The views are good but it’s all indoors which was good due to the chilly weather outside.

What a great spot for a rooftop restaurant!! There is both a lounge/sofa area and tables. We got a table by a window for a great view of the city. When making a reservation, you can choose which one to sit at. The website emphasized a dress code to the point where you could get kicked out, so we went dressed to the 9's, only to go in and see a lot of people dressed down and not being addressed about it, so that was disappointing. I would have worn more comfortable shoes 😂 I found the menu is limited, I just got the potatoes which were great but that was all I could eat. This place is clearly a highlight for the ambiance and view!! Service/our waitress was also great, my friend didn't like her drink and she took care of us.

This is a cool rooftop bar with a lively party vibe in the heart of Chicago. The drinks are excellent, and the service is outstanding. The bartenders and servers are super friendly. The music is loud and energizing, so if you're looking to stay hyped, this is the place to be. In addition to the main bar area with a retractable roof, there's also a lounge-style section where you can relax and enjoy your food and drinks. This area also offers better views. Highly recommend for a fun night out!

We came here for our Fourth of July dinner with family, and the experience was memorable in many ways. Located on the 27th floor of the hotel, the restaurant boasts a gorgeous and spacious setting with stunning views. The menu offered an impressive variety of cuisines — from pizza and seafood to sushi rolls, sashimi, and sliders. The food was overall quite good. I especially enjoyed the Spicy Salmon Roll, which had a lovely tenderness and a subtle hint of yuzu, and the Black Angus Sliders, which were incredibly juicy and complemented by flavorful sauces. However, I wouldn’t recommend the vegetable bowls; we tried the broccolini and mushrooms, but they were dry, overly charred, and not what we expected from a vegetable bowl. There was also a DJ playing some great mixes, which added a lively energy to the space. That said, the music was quite loud in the main dining area, with speakers positioned above each booth. At times, the bass caused our seats to vibrate, and we could barely hear despite sitting right next to each other, making it difficult to hold a conversation (this was for dinner ~7pm). This venue might be better suited for drinks and a vibrant pregame atmosphere rather than a quiet sit-down meal with family.

Got seated on time. Good views of skyline. Excellent service. Good drinks - ordered Expresso Martini, Mezcal Sour, Jalisco. Had Dip Tria for appetizer. Liked sweet pea and lemon ricotta - white truffle honey and red pepper hummus - toasted pine nuts, micro cilantro. Roasted eggplant was flat for my taste but good. Ordered Four Cheese pizza, Crispy Brussel Sprouts, S&P fries. Very tasty and good portion size for all servings. Recommended.

From the check-in with Eric to the fantastic service at the Rooftop bar with Brian, our stay has been nothing short of amazing. Alex got us all squared away with our valet of the car with swift and prompt action. Raymundo helped with our luggage and was helpful with a few suggestions for our stay. The hotel’s vibe is super cool, and my wife and I needed a break from the hustle and bustle. The rooms are spacious and modern, and the food at the bar was incredible. We tried the sausage pizza, which was fresh and delicious, and the Angus beef sliders were juicy and well-seasoned. The lobster tacos were fresh and just the right taste, and our first time trying oysters was a blast - the texture and freshness were amazing. The views from the rooftop bar are breathtaking, and we definitely plan to come back again.

Lonesome Rose is a vibrant Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurant located in a stylish warehouse setting with two bars. The bright and charming space in Humboldt Park features big windows that fill the area with natural light, creating a Southern California vibe. The menu offers thoughtfully prepared Mexican dishes, including delicious ceviche with pineapple and pickled jalapeno, tuna tostada, tacos, and street corn with tomatillo salsa.
A boujee Mexican place with hip menu additions and a nice restaurant vibe. The food here is great some of the best queso I’ve ever had and the bowls were great and fresh. Bloody Mary is oystery but good none the less. A bit more expensive than you’d expect but I’d go back again.

These brisket fries I had were like a meal, so good, definitely would share as an appetizer next time with friends. Went for happy hour, loved the $8 frozen margarit, do the swirl! 5 stars for Tyler the PM bartender Knowledgeable and charismatic. I also really appreciate that he asked if we had food allergies when taking our order. We arrived late evening seating in the main dining area was closed so we sat at the bar. It was a pleasant atmosphere. We ordered to go. The food was delicious. Very flavorful. I would describe it as Mexican Fusion. We ordered a Baja Burrito and a Spicy Chicken Burrito Baja was pleasantly seasoned and did not taste very fishy. Chicken was great. It was spicy and had plenty of cheese. Very good!

Seriously, what is going on with the staff at this location? I came here with two separate parties in the last 4 months and the wait staff is atrocious. The waitresses that helped us on BOTH visits seemed annoyed we didn't know what we wanted - and after we said we needed 2 minutes, they didn't say a single word, and walked away. This exact behavior has happened on BOTH trips to your location. In addition, the waitresses only communication with us was "what would you like?" "are you finished up?" - I genuinely do not think they said a single other thing. No "sounds great" no "how is everything?" no "how are you guys doing today?" Blank, agitated stares, immediate silent dismissals. Their behaviors were so off, the entire table would tense when they would walk over, waiting for the inevitable coldness and just discomfort. There was one time where the entire table laughed when the waitress walked away because we genuinely couldn't believe their outwardly and unprovoked hostile behavior as wait staff. Based off other reviews, this seems to be a trending experience at this location - absolutely go to any other Mexican restaurant in the area that will 100% actually make you feel welcome and not purposely ruin your meal by making it an inhospitable vibe for paying guests. Taqueria Moran. Manchamanteles. Estrella Negra.

Could not get a table for dinner yesterday, so went for lunch with the family. Book online as they’re busy during weekends. The cocktails were great. Tacos are delicious and the garbanzo bowl was tasty and filling. The creamed corn , watermelon salad, vegan street nachos ( amazing taste)and guacamole were delicious too. The taco ice cream and mini churros finished the meal very well. However we had to wait for a long time for the food. Cameron who served us was kind and apologised for the delay. All in all a great venue. It’s close to California station on the blue line metro

To preface, I really do enjoy their food, drinks, and ambience. Unfortunately the service at this location is abysmal. My family and I walked in for a late lunch on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon a couple of weeks ago. We intentionally chose to dine somewhere with outdoor seating. The host was immediately unfriendly, he somehow seemed bothered with us being there from the second we walked in. There were quite a few open tables outside, but he would not let us sit there because our party was too large (5 of us) and was unwilling to let us push two small tables together. No problem… we asked about the upstairs rooftop, which he failed to mention was an option. “It will be too sunny”…. Ok, let us be the judge of that? We told him we’d still like to check it out. He brought us upstairs begrudgingly where there were several large open tables, all in shade, because there is literally a canopy over the rooftop blocking the sun. It was clear he didn’t want us to dine there from the jump and I have no idea why. Our server also greeted us coldly. It felt like the whole staff was trained to make people feel like a burden that day. My whole family felt extremely put off by this experience

Vibes are immaculate, the music provides a cheery amicability that matches the bright and festive flavors of the food. The collabo with Bang Bang pie on the biscuits and (fried mushroom) gravy is a revelation, the metric coffee is rich and tasty and the crudo tomatillo salsa made me reconsider my position on red vs green salsas. The staff are friendly and punctual, the facilities are clean and I’ve never had to wait for seating. Easily a favorite for brunch or lunch and when golden teardrops is open watch out because you are going to be singing their praises too along with your favorite karaoke. 5 stars, came here to celebrate my engagement and if I’m lucky they’ll also host my funeral.

Food: I ordered the Fried Chicken Taco Bowl. With the exception that I wish the chicken wasn't as hot in temperature as I was hoping, but rather just warm, I thought the difference in textures and flavors in the bowl complimented each other really well. I was able to finish it in one sitting and wasn't over stuffed. I ordered the Chaco Taco as dessert: the horchata ice cream was the perfect compliment with dark chocolate and peanut-pretzel crumble coating. I'd easily order it again without hesitation. I additionally had the Lavender Lemonade 🍋 which was extremely sour which I don't mind personally, however it's lacking in much if any lavender 🪻 flavor. There's a bit of lavender buds on top as garnish but didn't pick up on it's flavor in the lemonade. Friends ordered the following: the Rodrigo Al Pastor bowl was savory and filling. The vegan Truck Nachos were very filling and can be eaten as a meal if not shared as an appetizer. Service: As for service in terms of waitresses, our waitresses popped in randomly here and there but not much attempt at interaction. Good recommendations and conversation from one of the bartenders downstairs at least. Atmosphere: Definitely a restaurant to visit during the day, it's too dimly lit in the evening to enjoy the warm sunset pinks and oranges of the walls. They have a rooftop patio that I would be curious to visit during warmer weather.

Upstairs at The Gwen is an art deco-inspired rooftop retreat offering a swanky atmosphere, seasonal cocktails, and New American sharing plates with stunning skyline views. The terrace features fire pit tables to keep guests warm during chilly evenings. Guests can savor unique tarot cocktails like the Seven of Cups and The Sun, along with delectable dishes such as the Gwen Burger. **"Exceptional Service and a Memorable Dining Experience"** We had the pleasure of dining at ”The Gwen” restaurant recently and were blown away by the exceptional service and delightful ambiance. Judie, our hostess, was nothing short of amazing. She went above and beyond to accommodate us for a lovely night on the patio, ensuring we had a perfect spot to enjoy the evening. Michael Ortiz, our server, provided superb service throughout the night. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was simply outstanding—starting with the crispy Brussels sprouts, which were perfectly seasoned, to the flavorful burrata toast, and finishing with the delicious salmon that was cooked to perfection. The combination of the excellent food, the inviting atmosphere, and the exceptional service from Judie and Michael made for an unforgettable night. We can’t wait to return!

I ordered the Caesar salad with salmon and it was absolutely amazing!!! The customer service was fantastic! I went in the middle of the week during lunch. I ordered a strawberry margarita for a drink. Parking isn’t the best unless you opt for valet or a nearby parking garage. Overall, my experience was a 10/10. I will definitely be back!

Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea- Disappointing and Not Worth the Price We brought our mom here for Mother’s Day tea and were really disappointed, especially given the high price- even more than what we paid at the Ritz a couple years ago. The event was in a windowless, undecorated room, with a DJ playing loud music that made it hard to talk. The drinks were “bottomless,” but we sat with empty glasses for 20+ minutes because the bar was “backed up”- even though the room wasn’t full. The tea kettle had just one tea bag floating inside, tag and all. The food looked nothing like the photos- no scones or sandwiches, just deep-fried snacks and grocery store pastries thrown on a tiered tray. No napkins, no linens - nothing special. Our server was sweet and did the best he could with what he had. Not his fault. But overall, this felt more like a cash grab than a luxury experience. Definitely not what you’d expect from a hotel like The Gwen.

Nice outdoor terrace for dinner and/or drinks. The food was good, along with the service. (They were short staffed and the manager stepped in to help his servers, which was nice to see.) The inside area has tables and bar seating. The outside terrace has tables and couch seating, with some couches equipt with firepits. I highly recommend making reservations for either one because you can specifically reserve them, and they fill up quickly online. Food is reasonably priced for that area of the city, and so were some of the drinks. However, wine and premium liquors were very expensive. Overall, it's a great place to go.

Awful awful awful!!! Avoid the high tea experience- our group left feeling scammed! Very disorganized, they had no idea what package we purchased and had to reconfirm it a number of times as well as having to remind them of our friends dietary restriction. We paid $120 A PERSON!! for some nasty boozed tea, that none of us was able to drink. Pumped with sugar and just not tasty. The tower?! Literally all deep friend and sugary snacks… we didn’t even touch it. It was supposed to be bottomless. We asked more for the savory items but they only came back with 2 of the items and said this is all they have left!!! Unacceptable On top of the $120 we paid PER PERSON! We had to order brunch food bc the hightea experience was not filling and left ALOT to be desired. Truly disappointing! Stay far away, spend your money elsewhere. People were all nice though

Utopian Tailgate is a vibrant rooftop bar located atop the Second City in Old Town, Chicago. Spanning 10,000 square feet, this lively spot offers a tailgating-themed experience with playful decor, faux turf, and picnic tables. The bar features group-friendly games like giant Connect Four and cornhole, as well as neon-hued Adirondack chairs for relaxation.
I had an AWESOME time here. The atmosphere, decor, and the oversized gaming concept (connect four, jenga, uno) was great!! Not to mention it was located on the rooftop. Weather couldn't have been any better. Nice breeze and overcast. I order the steak waffle fries. Only b/c I needed food before I started drinking. The drinks were on point. Loved this place! ❤️

$22 for 8 wings with no fries and the wings wasn’t a good chimi in all honesty. They up charge ranch for $2.50 and that should definitely be disclosed we spent $6 just on ranch. Green tea shot and cocktails taste great and strong average price.gorgeous rooftop but not for food, just drinks and vibes. Music is okay radio style .

I went here with my sisters for a birthday weekend and we were excited to try this place. It looked so cool from all the pictures. Here is how I feel about the place. First there is not enough shade on a hot day I get that it is a rooftop after all. The games were kind of fun the oversized cards are hard to hold for smaller handed people and don't play jenga when you food arrives as it tumbled into our dishes. I ordered the Al Pastor Tacos which said they were $13 on the menu. I didn't notice till we left that I was charged $15 for them instead. This was due to the fact that they are so lazy they won't let you split your bill (other restaurants did this too but one amazing place had a QR code to split it ourselves and we were grateful). The tacos were just meh, they came on corn tortillas that were disgusting and that detail was not on the menu or I would not have ordered them. The drinks were overpriced and small. Not worth the hype.

So I am going to start by saying I am in my 40's and so is everyone in my party. With the being said. The vibe was a cool outdoor beach bar theme. Downstairs security was rude and unprofessional. Music was loud and we couldn't talk. Beer's and drinks come in a plastic cub. I saw a bartender kinda clean a beer tower and serve it out. Dinner i had nachos. It's then picture. It was $30 which i thought was not bad. Lots of food. Nachos were good. I enjoyed them. The tacos were $13 for 2 pork tacos. They were ok, not good, just ok. Our waitress forgot about us and we had to go find her for refills and the check. The bathroom was not pleasant. I watched people my age walk up and then leave. It is not a place for people 35 or higher.

DONT EAT HERE. The food is not edible. the worst I ever had in life. $22 for 2 tacos. They were dry. Fries rock hard. Wings were almost worst than the tacos. The venue is super cute. Games were fun. I would recommend going to chill with friends but eat BEFORE you go. Server and manger were nice. I gave 3 stars because our server was a sweet heart. If not this would be a 1 star review

Absolutely amazing! The staff was amazing and extremely flexible. We had reservations for a time and needed to adjust it. Cameron was able to accommodate us with no issues at all. Our waiter Chase was phenomenal! They were very knowledgeable about the menu and provided delicious selections for us to choose from. We had the opportunity to watch a flamenco show as we enjoyed our dinner. My partner had the tender brisket & rice. I had the half chicken & Yuka fries with Chimichurri sauce. Absolutely delicious! Flavorful with every bite. Juicy and cooked to perfection.

Had a great time Friday night! The service was impeccable! We were very disappointed that the rooftop was closed. That was the reason for our visit. But our server, Chase was amazing and the manager, I cant remember his name, was so pleasant. They made sure the birthday girl had all the extra attention she deserved. Hopefully, when we return the rooftop will be open.

We really enjoyed our dinner here last night! (Located on the top floor of our hotel Kimpton Gray). We had great service and suggestions from the bartender and had a seriously delicious dinner in the dining room. Stylish and cozy with tropical plants dotting the area, it has a lovely atmosphere. Right now is Latin Heritage Month there was an additional menu. I had the corn with cotija cheese, chili and fresh lime-I’m going to have to recreate this at home! I had the fresh seared salmon with lime cilantro rice and mango salsa, and my husband had the grilled octopus. The food is sublime, you must try Boleo 🤩

The pictures and website do a great job of getting you there. The bar area has ripped chairs, the food is ok, and the atmosphere is a hotel restaurant. To call it “roof top” is a stretch. More like skylight.

Boleo offers a neat rooftop bar, but we missed out on the main draw due to rain. The atmosphere indoors was pleasant enough, but it felt like just another restaurant without the open-air vibe. The food was decent, but not particularly memorable. The empanadas were definitely the highlight, while the ceviche could have used more seasoning. The remaining dishes were satisfactory, but nothing stood out as exceptional. Service started off strong, but unfortunately tapered off as the meal progressed. It's unlikely we'll return, but Boleo could be a convenient option if you're already staying at the Kimpton Gray Hotel.

VU Rooftop Bar is a massive spot featuring 3 bars, 2 patios, and stunning city views. With its 13,000-square-foot space on the 22nd floor, it offers panoramic views of the lake and museum campus. Despite recent staffing issues affecting service, it's a great place to enjoy pre-dinner cocktails or a nightcap. Located near McCormick Place, this indoor rooftop bar provides a 360-degree view of the city.

Been here a few times and the vibe is always good. The truffle fries are always good so I’d definitely recommend those. We also ordered the popcorn shrimp, whipped ricotta, and some queso dip (not the best). The bartender was friendly/attentive and took good care of us he made “Vu From The Sidecar” was refreshing and well balanced. Had to ding them on service because the security guard and the host weren’t the friendliest and made it seem that they didn’t want to be bothered by our presence. But the bar back, busser, and food runners were very kind and I felt they went above and beyond.

Great views and patio area. Terrible food, servers were great but the cook staff you pick the food up from could careless. Had the hot chicken sandwich that was over fried and greasy. My friend ordered the same thing ate two bites and threw it out.
Larry L — Google review
I recently visited VU Rooftop Bar and unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. While the space itself is stylish and offers a nice atmosphere, the service and food timing left much to be desired. We had an 8:30 reservation, but the pacing of our meal was extremely disorganized. Our appetizer didn’t arrive until nearly an hour later, and by then, one entrée had already been served. My companion received his chicken sandwich first, followed by our appetizer about 10 minutes later. Meanwhile, I was left waiting much longer—my burger did not arrive until almost 10 p.m., nearly 30 minutes after he had already been served. This created an awkward dining experience, as one of us was left eating alone while the other waited. In addition, the cocktails were underwhelming. For the premium prices charged, the drinks tasted overly diluted, with more juice than alcohol, which did not feel like a good value. Overall, the atmosphere has potential, but the service flow, food timing, and drink quality fell short. At this price point, I expected a more coordinated and polished dining experience.
Daysha_simone — Google review
Terrible service. Waiters didn’t even check on us. Took forever to get our orders placed. Food was not good. Everything was undercooked, tuna was spoiled, potatoes were raw, $45 half chicken was by far worse than a $5 chicken from Costco. On top of that they charge 20% service fee and $10/person for reservation and STILL have the balls to ask for tips. 100% should have gone to subway across the street. Would have been much better, and cheaper. Do NOT recommend.

The staff was amazing!!! They were kind, attentive, accommodating, informative! They did not miss a beat! The food was ok. It was good but there wasn't a flavor that stood out. Beautiful rooftop bar with panoramic views of the Chicago skyline! My daughter, her fiancé and I visited the restaurant / bar one evening while staying at the hotel for their wedding. Very nice vibe, comfy seating and great service from Nicole. Chicken kabobs, caprese, and a rooftop burger along with a couple NA beers - all good. Piped in music made it a little hard to have conversation and it was little pricey. But you can’t get views like that every.

The cozy atmosphere with fireplaces and plush seating adds to its charm.
This was my first time in Chicago, and I’m already planning to come back next year and without a doubt, I’ll be staying at this hotel again. Alondra made my experience unforgettable. She was incredibly professional and knowledgeable about the drinks she was serving at the outside bar. She crafted the best mezcal cocktail I’ve ever had and even gave great recommendations for tourist spots to check out. You can clearly see she’s passionate about her mixology and hospitality her service and attention to detail easily surpassed the bartenders inside. Truly a standout!

they must be known for their absinthe because that was the largest part of the menu. also many good cocktails… a little confusing tho because the server wouldn’t let us order certain drinks because “they weren’t good”. the popcorn was cute but was a very small portion for popcorn (i mean, popcorn is really cheap to buy and to make). however the room was really pretty and the views were nice.
Mimi — Google review
This place looks like a wish.com version of a stylish Miami rooftop aka the AI photos they have posted. The patio is something reminiscent of if Motel 6 and Arby’s had a baby during the apocalypse…. it’s a barren concrete slab with patio furniture that looks stolen from a liquidation sale at a failed Chili’s. Do not go. Instead, go to an abandoned parking garage roof and drink a four loco. Same experience.

I absolutely loved this place ! The views of the city are great, the service was lovely and the food was nice. Keep in mind that the outdoor seating is limited so make reservations during summer, the inside seating is really beautiful too. It is pricey but worth it in my opinion. They don’t have a big menu but they serve small appetizers and wine and cocktails as well.
Gaby M — Google review
Booked the Chateau Carbide experience on OpenTable to celebrate my husband’s birthday and our anniversary. The whole setup is super cute and something different to do but would say poorly executed. They really need to insulate them better. It was about 35 degrees on Saturday night while we were out there and trust me, we felt every bit of it despite having blankets, coats on, and the fire. It was still something fun and different to do but would have been much better if it was 15 degrees warmer. They also said that they couldn't turn the string lights in the garland on so that was disappointing for the ambiance and also confusing because they were on in some of the other chateaus. I would still say 4 out of 5 for experience alone though. So in order to book a chateau, you agree to a $300 food and beverage minimum. The issue here is that the menu is pretty limited. We really struggled to find enough things to order for just the 2 of us to get close to that amount. Unfortunately the drinks were not good. We tried multiple cocktails including the Apres Ski Party and the Star Crossed and glasses of the Cabernet. All were unpleasant to drink. We also got multiple rounds of glasses of Cab (again to get to the minimum) and each time they came in totally different wine glasses and tasted completely different from each other. Mind you that there was only one Cabernet option on the menu. The food was very mediocre. We got the lobster roll, the sliders, and the short rib. They were all fine but nothing special. We also ordered the s'mores platter which was probably the best thing we ordered and I would recommend for cute marshmallow roasting with the fire. Finally noting that we had a 7pm reservation but we were not seated in our chateau until 7:30 because they were running behind with the reservations and they were all full. It is supposed to be a 90-minute time limit so they were likely behind schedule. But just something to note, we were flexible on time so it was fine but you may not want to book before anything that you have to be at by a certain time.

Visited Nobu Chicago and had a mostly great experience with a few hiccups. When we arrived, the management was hesitant to seat us, even though plenty of tables were available — which was a bit frustrating. That aside, once we got seated, everything improved. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive. Food-wise: • The shrimp dish was delicious, cooked just right. • The variety of sushi was impressive — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. One of the best parts was the rooftop view of Chicago — a stunning atmosphere that adds a lot to the experience, especially in the evening. Overall, a solid 4-star experience. Great food, wonderful ambiance, and service — just wish the front desk had been a little more welcoming from the start.

Nobu rooftop is located on top of the hotel in West Loop, which is very convenient, if you stay in the hotel. There is also a restaurant on the 1st floor. Not sure if there is a parking for those who is staying in hotel, but it was pretty hard to find parking nearby on the street, probably on weekdays it’s easier. Rooftop is very nice, it has tables for 2 and for company of people. We’ve tried sushi, few cocktails and mochi on dessert, everything was tasty. I didn’t like mochi a lot though, I would try different dessert next time. There is also a good music and nice view on downtown.

Will be back for great views, good and service any time!!

The food was ok. Nothing stood out except the crispy Brussel sprouts. The service was average and most of the staff seemed nervous even stressed. Nice views though.

Nice spot for drinks. Lobster tacos get a 1. Who thought to make these lobster tacos so damn small. Other than that beautiful views and nice drinks.

Great view, charming décor, good service and food. The only downside is the cocktails — not worth the price and should be revisited by the bar.

Nobu delivered an unforgettable date night! From the moment we arrived, the rooftop vibes were immaculate—beautiful views, great music, and a live DJ that set the perfect tone for the evening. We started with amazing drinks: I had the passion fruit mojito, super refreshing and smooth, while my man went with the Yuzu Sunset—a bold, citrusy mix with Casadragones Blanco and a hint of spice from Aji Amarillo. Absolutely delicious. For food, we shared the wagyu sliders (juicy and flavorful), the creamy spicy snow crab (rich and melt-in-your-mouth), and the lamb chops anticucho—tender, well-seasoned, and beautifully plated. Every bite and sip was 10/10, and the atmosphere made it even better. Nobu is definitely an elevated date night spot we’ll be coming back to!

the food and drinks were delishhhh, and a great view to top it off! the plates are mostly shareables so this is a great spot for small groups or date night. the service was quick and the staff very nice! my group each had a drink and shared the charcuterie (3ppl), this was filling for us and we each paid around $40 , i recommend reserving a table online beforehand :)

A fantastic venue with exceptionally beautiful views. Two of us recently went here for some non alcoholic drinks. We had phony negroni & lust for life lite and both of those were very tasty. We haven't had any food, so I cannot comment on that. If you are out and about in Chicago and want to experience spectacular views whilst having a drink/chat, this place should be in your list 👍 Thanks

Great rooftop with great views! While food menu is limited, the offerings are great! We got the salmon tartar- highly recommend! The steak and French fries. Overall great environment and great staff!

Definitely a mixed experience here! Great service and beautiful atmosphere. A perfect place to get drinks with friends and family or to celebrate a special occasion. The food was a little of a let down, nothing was particularly bad but also nothing that stood out to us. For the prices, the portions were very small (pizza is a very small flatbread) and there was nothing special about the food to us that made the prices justified. Would maybe come back here for drinks and social events but will not be coming here specifically for the food.

Visited with my colleagues on a work trip to Chicago and really enjoyed the experience. The view and atmosphere make for a great casual hangout. We ordered one large plate and a handful of appetizers including fries, crostini, octopus, artichoke, and roast fish. Of them all, the roast fish large plate was the most memorable. It was seasoned perfectly with the right amount of crisp. To wash down the bites, we ordered a few rounds of cocktails. A table favorite was one that included hibiscus, which made the drink a bright pink. The cocktails were well-balanced, fusing flavors without losing the essence of the base liquor. Overall, a memorable experience. If you’re okay paying a little extra for the view, give it a go.

Decent experience. Topped by the view. Service was a bit slow. 25 min for an order of fries. Drinks took about 20 min. 52 bucks for 2 drinks and fries, which were over seasoned. Serving food boards way past acceptable for a high-end place. Probably won't be back.

Such a cute bar! I've been wanting to go for a while and it was definitely worth it! It's fully covered outdoor seating which makes for beautiful views. The drinks and food were fantastic as well. The service was friendly and fast so would recommend to anyone looking for an upscale bar with some beautiful views of the city from River North!

Rooftop season is here! We kicked it off at Aire Chicago at the Media Launch Opening Party in the Hyatt Centric Chicago Aire Chicago is an oasis in the urban jungle of Chicago's loop. Rejoice in the spectacular views of the iconic city skyline. A good vibe that was enhanced by the music of a live band: "pure soul" with modern pop dance music played during their breaks. A mixture of ages among the customers makes for a well-balanced atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. The dress code was casual to business and some came party-ready. They have excellent crafted drinks. The aire old fashioned: well balanced and flavorful Up in the air: fruity and sweet with a hint of lime Bahama colada: dangerously sweet. A frosty perfect for those hot summer days. The beef barbacoa tacos had an excellent taste with mouth-melting beef. The carnitas tacos: the hard-to-resist smokey sweetness of roasted peppers, with meat stewed close to a melting point, are very hard to resist. Pesto shrimp flatbread: what Sicilian pizza ought to be Spicy chicken wrap: a complete healthy meal on a hand wrap. On Fridays they have a DJ mixing it up, and on Sundays they offer "Concerts Under the Stars" with live music that will be varied. From Abba to Sinatra, Lizzo to Beyoncé, is sure to be amazing. We highly advise that you get your tickets online in advance as tickets sell out quickly. We had a wonderful time here and can't wait to return!

Drinks were good and pretty well-priced for a rooftop bar. The vibes were pretty bland (could be due to the private events also being held on the rooftop), but honestly you are here for the views and they do not disappoint. Will definitely be bringing more friends up here to enjoy the skyline!

Morgan, our bartender, was absolutely amazing. She was fun and professional. We ordered an extra tropical colada because they were so delicious. The tacos and wraps were top notch. The view and ambiance were outstanding. We took many panoramic pics! In summary, Morgan made our visit to Aire an extraordinary experience 😀 ✨️!!

Beautiful view, had the chicken tinga tacos 🌮 which were excellent, but the salsa and guacamole were from a jar. Service was very slow, had to wait a very long time for our food and check.

I didn't try the food here, but the drinks were not great. They did something with the Maker's and coke. It had some weird plastic after taste. I raised this to the waitress and she insisted that it was correct and there's nothing wrong with it and said it's because it's Pepsi. I've had Maker's and Pepsi before and that's not what it tastes like. What a waste of money. The views weren't great either. We were seated across the vacant office building and they were blasting I don't even know what kind of music. The best view is the side you come up to the bar. The rest of the views are meh.

Had such a wonderful time on Valentine’s Day. Our sushi chef Mr. Lee was so sweet and skilled. Not only was the quality of the sashimi and sushi melt in your mouth fresh. The scallop… my goodness I honestly never had something like the beautiful almost sculpture like morsel he made. It was sweet, he hit it with a torch and caramelized the top with such care. So yum! The ambiance is bright and modern, the service attentive and kind, and the fish absolutely fresh! Such a hidden gem… Will definitely go back!

Gene's Sausage Shop and Delicatessen is a hidden gem located in Lincoln Square, offering a wide variety of more than 40 types of sausages, along with imported specialties, wine, beer, and liquor. Established by two Polish immigrant brothers in 1972, the shop has gained popularity for its homemade smoked sausages and other Polish delicacies.
This is my first visit to this location of Gene's Sausage Shop and Deli. I grew up near Belmont & Central and remember the previous two locations. I was shopping with my Mom and we probably spent almost 45 minutes looking at all the products, wines, beers and fresh meat. The butcher was very friendly and knowledgeable. We bought a bunch of items. We even bought Potato & Onion Pierogi, which we cooked up for lunch. They were tasty, but not as good as Mom's. ☺️ Great place for specialty groceries. I'll definitely be back especially for Polish Kielbasa. 🥖🧀🥩🥨🍾

Gene’s is amazing butcher shop with rooftop deck where you can enjoy eateries no freshly prepared sausage from the below store. Only annoying thing - roof restaurant is all cash.

What an amazing 2 floors of fantastic imported food and wine. There are so many lovely choices of German food including a phenomenal butcher shop and deli. There are imported chocolates, spices, honey, fresh produce, fruit juices. Everything you could want. But for us Germanophiles the Brat selection is amazing.

This is a small Germany market. Clean and organiza. I bought sausage and cheese. The second floor has diversity products like beer, wine, pickles, pastas, and others. The sausage are delicious 😋

Gene's Sausage Shop is a Lincoln Square staple that never disappoints. Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon around 2 PM and grabbed a bratwurst with sauerkraut and a side of German potato salad. The brat was juicy and flavorful, and the potato salad had that perfect tang. The rooftop beer garden is a hidden gem—great spot to sip a cold one and enjoy some live music. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Only downside? It can get busy, so be prepared to wait a bit.
Maluh Z — Google review
Great German shops with plenty of authentic German options.
Maen Q — Google review
I saw so many great reviews of the rooftop of this place but ended up finding it underwhelming. About 10 beers on tap thats fine, not one gluten free or cider option on tap, got one cider in can, not very inclusive. They have sausages but they aren’t grilled on an actual grill or anything just a flat top next to the beer taps. We couldn’t try any food because we came at around 6:30ish and they close at 8pm, so the grill was off. Which is also fine, but the staff behind the bar almost yelled at us for asking for sausages?? He was like “My grill is cold, I’m serving beer and nothing else!” I never faced such rude service anywhere honestly. Also don’t sit on the bar stools in shorts or skirt if you don’t wanna get tetanus real quick because they are as rusty as it gets.
Merve N — Google review
This is an amazing grocery store in the heart of Lincoln Square. They have a great selection of groceries, the second floor adds in a large wine liquor and beer selection, and finally the butcher can't be beat. From fresh cut lamb chops, to as many brat varieties as you can think of, to freshly made pasta salad, they have it all. A must visit if you are in the area!

I was confused by the mixed reviews, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. I'm so glad I did! I got into Bollywood Night, and it turned out to be the best party I've ever experienced. To me, everyone was so friendly, and the vibe was completely positive.

The rooftop prices are vastly different than the downstairs prices. At least during happy hour. That doesn’t stop you from buying the bucket of $1 beers and bringing them up to the roof and enjoying them. The roof is nice for happy hour but typically gets really busy. Never been on any of the lower levels so can’t comment.
Jordan G — Google review
This club looks great for your instagram story but it’s really not. I took my sister for her birthday with a few friends to check it out and it was genuinely one of the worst clubbing experiences I’ve never had. The DJ only played tik tok music (he literally played Messy by Lola Young; love that song but for the club??) and was extremely rude when I requested a Bad Bunny song (straight up gave me a dirty look mouthing the word NO!). The staff were also rude. The bottle girls shove into you (sometimes they straight up shove you), don’t say excuse me, and look like they hate being there. The security guards are on power trip. The club itself is small and gets easily overcrowded. I’ve been to a few clubs in Chicago that have been smaller, overcrowded, and hot but have had a blast. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. At least the sports bar is decent.

$20 Saturday night cover, bouncers frisk guys at the entrance. Big UFC fight night on first floor. Bar seating was full, tables set aside for big spenders. Pretty fun dance floor upstairs but getting up there is a 50/50 chance due to limited space, especially later into the night as it gets super crowded. Might not be best for groups larger than 5. DJ mainly plays TikTok songs for about a minute each. Music is WAY too loud, wear earplugs or you will absolutely get hearing damage. Loud music is fun, but these levels were excessive and honestly dangerous, my watch picked up 120dB. Impossible to talk to anyone, had to communicate with the notes app haha
Anthony — Google review
The crowd is mostly very VERY young frat boys. Music is alright, drinks are good. If you are looking for a pre club space, this might be a good spot, but if youre looking for a more elevated club experience just skip it. Maybe fun for your first time at a club with no experience.

Myself and a few friends stopped in during the Octoberfest on Saturday. We had purchased tickets and had a ticket for a drink at Joy. Entering we were physically patted down. None of the other bars required this. Once in we presented out drink tickets to the bar tender. She got the drinks and then tried to charge us for the drinks. I reminded her that we gave her the drink tickets and she acted as if we were trying to get a free drink. The bouncer didn't like one of my friends and my friend said something negative when leaving that the bouncer overheard. The bouncer then followed him out to the street where the fest was going on and attempted to kick him out of the fest. He even called the cops. Cops showed up and let him stay but sounded like the bouncer was in the wrong profession if he can't handle a negative comment at a bar. Wasted CPDs time. Will never go back.
Carl C — Google review
I came down to celebrate my birthday week and was told by my promoter that my group would have free access to the second floor. However, when we arrived, I was asked to step out of line with my friends. The bouncer began harassing me, accusing me of doing something to a police officer, something I had absolutely no knowledge of. He spoke to me in a very aggressive manner, making me feel intimidated and genuinely scared for my safety. After that, my friend brought me back to the line, but we were then told we had to pay $20 to get in, despite the promoter’s earlier promise. Ladies, please be warned this is not a safe space. The experience was extremely uncomfortable and frightening.

I was told by a friend to visit Joy and I had high hopes.I went on a busy friday night on Halloween. From their posts I expected more on the second floor. It was packed. Anyways, As I was trying to leave to catch up with my friends I got caught up in a line with the bottle girls on the second floor. I was trying to walk past the bar to go downstairs. I tried to say “excuse me” to a bottle girl and she told me to “Get back”. I apologized and let her know it was my first time there. Another bottle girl said it was ok… but Immediately after a security guard walked me out with no explanation. I couldn’t grab my jacket or my camera that I left inside. And I had to wait for my friends in the cold, like I did something wrong. Other than that the vibes were kind of cool. VIP was really dark and crammed with drinks spilled everywhere. Bartenders ignored me when I asked to use my eventbrite promo for a free drink. Staff seemed very irritated. Bathrooms were dirty and packed.

Cool, chill out spot until mid evening. After about 8 o'clock the crowd changes a bit & it 'turns up'. Not rowdy , just more lively. Really good drinks and small plates. The view is amazing in any direction and the city lights are dazzling! Really wanted to jump in the pool! Staff is very attentive, even the security staff is helpful.

Cute rooftop, great vibe. The service was polite but pretty slow. We had to ask for our waiter to bring us water. Liked the calamari.

Food- decent to average bar food. Drinks- disappointed, They fill their glass up with ice, less variety, and there are much better cocktail bars in Chicago. Their bartenders are not generous on their pours. Service - was good, servers were polite. Views- good. Overall- an Okay experience. Would i go back? Maybe not. Given you can get better drinks elsewhere and that there’s plenty of rooftops in the city.

Pretty place, nice views. The food was quite good, spinach and artichoke dip and the salmon ceviche were very good. Service was quite slow. Drinks were not good whatsoever, and there ton of ice to cover up the fact that they give you a quarter of liquid. La vaquera tasted like cucumber w club soda.

Bought a day pass on resortpass. For roughly the same cost as a ticket to the aquarium you can relax at the roof top pool. The unique views of the city and the surrounding architecture are what make this a great spot. Youll be able to take in views of the lake, and see some of the finer details of what makes Chicago architecture great. The breeze is nice, the setting is well thought out. The plants and small flowers placed throughout the roof top are pretty. The pool itself is small and its hard to tell from the photo. Its about only 3-4 ft deep and 15-20 feet in length. The pool heated up by around 1 but was cold in the morning. The food was good, cocktails are expensive but given the property it isnt out of line of what would be expected. The devereaux wont be open, but you will walk through it for the bathroom. There is a small separate bar for the pool. My plans werent for later in the day so this was a nice filler to relax. They also held my bags all day while I was out and about. The food was good! I would recommend the fish and chips over the fish tacos.

I would make a reservation if you want to sit outside, be aware it's a $40 deposit that goes toward your bill to reserve a spot. Overall the rooftop was pretty small but great views from gold coast, the pool adds to some great ambiance at night. The fire pits and seating all around are great, but the seats are some of the most uncomfortable for a rooftop. Overall the drink selection is ok, but some frozen drinks make it fun on a nice night. If you have a group of 4 or more you can rent a fire pit. Overall we had fun but not sure if I'd come back, leaving it as a four star as service and location were a ton of fun, but unfortunately it wasn't anything special.

We came here for a quick drink before close to check out the view. The bar team was super friendly and made our experience special. The rooftop has a great view, fun cocktail menu and hip vibe. The food menu didn’t had many options, we just had a french fries. The wine they recommended was really good. Looking forward to our next visit!

This rooftop gem feels like a tropical paradise in the sky, featuring fresh seafood options like tuna and refreshing drinks such as Pineapple Lemongrass Mojitos. Its inviting atmosphere is perfect for any season, thanks to its retractable roof and cozy igloos that keep guests comfortable year-round.
Very nice! The food was good. I had the shrimp tacos and mini lobster rolls. But, this watermelon mojito was the star of the show! Very refreshing!! I like that you can sit indoors in the a/c or relax outside. There is a sliding roof for rainy days. Also, our server was GREAT and attentive!

I will start with the service, I felt that they had an attitude and wasn’t somewhat friendly. They never asked if we are there for any special occasion or anything. The waitress was nice and kept asking if everything is fine. The food was not good, for the price the taste was not what expected. The atmosphere was fine not that rooftop that to expect its on the 4th floor the power cables were visible so don’t expect a lot. When we enter the floor the bathroom doors were open and even when we left they were still open which is not a pleasant sight to see in an expensive place. You can use the parking garage next to the building and then use the elevator to the 4th floor to the bar.

We had reservations for Saturday night. I highly recommend having a reservations. Your reservation is confirmed downstairs before getting access. FYI, a deposit is required while booking the reservation. The service was great, our waitress was super pleasant and she recommended a few of her favs from the menu. The vibe was very chill. There was no actual DJ but the playlist was decent. The views of the city skyline at night were beautiful. It definitely had a lounge feel. I just know brunch time is a good time. We kept our food order light because it was late. I had the octopus and my friend ordered the tempura roll. We also ordered the truffle fries. Please keep in mind it’s a small menu (you can checkout the menu on their website). Everything we ordered was so good! I would for sure return when I’m back in Chicago.

Our experience was phenomenal and the staff/management were VERY supportive and accommodating. We were celebrating my sister’s birthday and decided to give Godfrey another chance. The servicer we had was VERY nice and kept checking on our table throughout our whole stay. My entree dish was missing chicken and she had a new one remade while also offering us free champagne for our whole group for the inconvenience. The food could have been a little bit better considering the price we paid but it was still edible. I ended up taking my entree home and when I asked for a plastic bag was told they “ ran out of bags” how does a well established restaurant in River North run out of basic necessities like plastic bags. I still would DEFINITELY recommend to anyone looking for a great place with great vibes and amazing views just remember to bring your own plastic bags if you plan on taking your food home.

Absolutely loved this place! We stopped in for drinks and appetizers, and everything was delicious. The views are stunning, the ambience is fantastic, and the atmosphere has a cool, upbeat, upscale vibe. It was an extremely hot day in Chicago, but this rooftop was exactly where we needed to be. Getting to the rooftop was a bit of a hassle — the front desk attendants gave poor (and unfriendly) directions — but once we made it up, the experience totally made up for it. Sadly, I deleted my pictures. I’ll definitely be back!

The entire experience was great from checking into our reservation on the rooftop to exit. The hostess was inviting. Our server, Jennifer, was energetic, attentive, timely with her service. Additional wait staff were exception in there services as well. Bring out orders and collecting empty dinnerware. The food was delicious, with amazing portion sizes. Ordered the Wagyu Beef Sliders, Steak Salad, Dragon Maki Roll, Avocado Toast Signature Black Truffle Fries, Mango Daquiri, and the Frose All Day. The rooftop itself was beautiful. Nice crowd, perfect weather, and cool views. As a first time experience, my expectation were exceeded. I will be back.

Restaurant
Celeste is a chic and sophisticated venue located in the historic Louis Sullivan building in Chicago. This multi-level establishment features a variety of atmospheres, including a classic cocktail lounge on the ground floor, an art deco room paying homage to Chicago's glamorous architecture on the second floor, a vibrant disco room with an electroluminescent dance floor on the third floor, and a year-round Victorian-decorated rooftop bar known as The Garden.
As a wedding and elopement photographer, I think Celeste is an incredible venue for smaller gatherings! I have photographed several small weddings and receptions here and each time it was a wonderful experience. The staff is friendly and attentive, the venue is clean and always beautifully styled and the food has been delicious as well! I would highly recommend Celeste!

I cannot recommend Celeste enough as a venue for those looking for a small, intimate, lush, memorable space to hold their dream wedding. From the moment we walked through the door for the initial consultation all the way to the moment we left the reception, we were met with the highest possible level of attention, care, and generosity from every single member of the staff. Kassandra handled our entire event and is truly an angel of a person - she made sure our every need and concern was addressed and was such a calming presence throughout the entire (often stressful) planning process. She made everything so easy, made things that seemed like impossible ideas become simple realities, and was so flexible every step of the way, allowing us to transform the rooftop, cocktail room, and disco reception space each into exactly how we envisioned them to be. Coordinating and corralling 40 people back and forth into three different levels in the span of 6 hours is no easy task, but Kassandra and her staff kept us on schedule and hit every checkpoint of the night with such ease. On its own, Celeste is also just such a beautiful space with a ton of charm and served as the perfect backdrop to our wedding. The food was excellent, the drink package was perfect, and all of the little details were handled with such grace and ease. We will be forever grateful to Kassandra and her staff at Celeste for allowing us to have the perfect wedding!

I have never had a bad time here. Ladies— if you need a place to chill, come sit at the bar. Especially if Sammy is working. You’re going to have an amazing time. I always feel safe and comfortable here.

Nestled in the heart of downtown, Celeste offers a unique speakeasy experience with its three-floor layout. I particularly enjoyed the cozy ambiance of the second floor, perfect for a romantic date night on chilly winter days. We started our evening with a delightful selection of vine and Caesar salad, and to top it off, we indulged in some crispy fried chicken bites.

Yeah, be prepared for a good night of dancing and stairs. 100% recommend if you are into good music. Chicago House rules.

Super fun tri level bar! Each level has a different bar on it eith different drink options and the top two are for dancing. The cocktails were delicious no notes, and if you reserve a table downstairs you can still go up to dance!

Haven't been to a "club" in ages so its just not for me. Each level has a different ambiance which is nice and the music is different in each one. If its ur thing, than go for it. Getting a drink isnt hard and people are mainly there to enjoy a night out.

My friends and I went to Celeste to see a DJ friend who was performing last night, but our first experience there was terrible. The place was extremely crowded, there was no air circulation, and it was impossible to move. At one point, I grabbed an ice cube from a bucket next to me because I was literally struggling to breathe. Then four security guards surrounded me, and one of them pushed me and started yelling at me, telling me to leave. It was humiliating and completely unnecessary. I even took a photo right after the incident to show how chaotic and disrespectful the situation was. No one deserves to be treated like that. I can’t show their faces, but they are the same people who work at the front. Be very careful and don’t waste your time at places like this.

Perched on the 13th floor of the iconic Robey Hotel in Wicker Park, The Up Room offers a chic and intimate escape with breathtaking views of the city skyline. This stylish lounge has recently undergone a transformation, boasting plush mid-century modern seating that invites you to unwind while sipping on expertly crafted seasonal cocktails. Be sure to try their standout drink, the Oaxacan on Broken Glass, which combines mezcal with vibrant flavors for an unforgettable experience.
Had an aviation and the cocktails were good, but overall the views at night are unbeaten. This is easily one of the coolest and best views in the city. Would strongly recommend for a date or just to have a low key night with people who are visiting. The views and the ambiance remind you of a rooftop bar you'd find in Europe. The music is great but not over the top that you cant have a conversation with the people you are with. Overall worth the price of the cocktails.

Excellent experience, great drinks and the view is fantastic. Wife and i stopped in for a few drinks. 530pm on a Tuesday and it was perfect. Plenty of space and no crowds. We tried the mixed nuts and olives, both were a good snack. I had a whistle Pig 15 and she ordered a Zen Garden. We also tried an IPA and she did a Mocktail. Temperature was a bit chilly but we still enjoyed the view and service was great. Staff was friendly professional and accommodating. Highly recommended.

Thanks to Google Maps for helping us find this rooftop bar. We walked in at about 5 pm on a Saturday as it was just starting to fill in. We had a great view and fine cocktails. Despite how busy it got, our server was very helpful and communicated with us often. The “black diamond” cocktail was fun, but the smoke aspect loses a little bit in the high winds at 13 stories up. The views are lovely and unobstructed. It was just a perfect place to hang for an hour or so and just enjoy Chicago.

Rooftop gem in Wicker Park. The drinks here are on point every time I've come here. This visit got the excellent Negroni which was superb 👌🏽 9.5. This is not a large place but the views at the top is worth the visit.

Great cocktails and service, unbeatable views of the city! Skyline, Honey Heights, and City Glow cocktails all well-balanced and on point, especially the cream cheese foam in the Honey Heights, a must-try!

The Up Room NEVER Disappoints! Ever! Wanted to clarify from another reviewer, AUTO GRATUITY is ONLY on checks for 6 or more people. Not EVERY check. We have been there for 2 of us, and 7 of us. The only automatic gratuity was our big group. With that said, be a good human, tip your servers and bar staff at least 20%! Now! On to my own review! NEVER have we had a bad experience here. Not once. We've been at least a dozen times since moving here. Indoor service, outdoor service, bar service. Always perfection. We love the little charcuterie boards here too. The cheeses, meats, nut mix is yummy, as are the olives! The cocktails are literally to die for. SO GOOD! AND they have those absolutely beautiful clear huge ice cubes! Gorgeous in an Old Fashioned! This lounge has very talented and skillful bartenders, who are literally so creative and artistic! It's a blast to go there and say, "Surprise me!" and then be served something incredible! The staff here are also SO friendly and helpful. And QUICK. We have never been left waiting. In the dozen or so times we have been there, we have had experiences with Audrey, Demetrio, Alice, Emma, Seth, Jesenia, and Managers Keke and Germaine. All absolute professionals. It's rare to find so many incredible people are in one place. I guess this is how you end up with "our favorite spot!" How do I know all their names? Because that is JUST HOW GOOD the experience is there. Worth remembering! Oh! Almost forgot, THE VIEW!! WOWOW!!! Take that view in! It's so worth it!

Great spot above the Robey Hotel. Very jumping. Can be a long wait to get a table but we got lucky and were seated immediately. Greta views of the city and a great cocktail menu. Great ambiance and music choices as well.

Homestead On The Roof is a rooftop restaurant located in West Town Chicago, offering farm-to-table New American cuisine sourced from its own on-site garden. The menu features dishes like the roasted root vegetable salad, which includes fresh herbs and pea shoots harvested from the rooftop garden. The restaurant boasts a 3,000 square foot organic rooftop garden and two large hanging gardens, creating an urban oasis.
Amazing!! This place was such a lovely and charming garden rooftop. It’s tucked away above Roots Pizza, giving it almost an exclusive vibe. Good for any occasion - dates, friend groups, business groups, etc. The food was amazing and yummy!! We loved every single dish and drink. Don’t overlook this place when nabbing a dinner reservation. I would put it up against many other nice “white table cloth” type restaurants, in the city.

Great place. Went on a holiday and couldn’t really get in anywhere downtown. Found this West town gem and am so happy we did. The staff is amazing. The food was next level. The space is elegant and welcoming. I’ve never had Portuguese food before - and it was an absolute winner. Our waiter was Hector, and he made sure we only had the best dishes, drinks, and experience. I’d go again in a minute.
Michael V — Google review
Oh my was this a huge disappointment. Have been wanting to check this place out for a while. Ordered small plates and temperanillo. Vibe is cute but that’s sort of where it ended for our experience. The wine was the only part of the meal worth buying. I knew the second the ‘summer salad’ was brought out that we had made a mistake. $14 for a single tasteless underdressed tomato+ an orange sliced up and missing other ingredients, it was laughable. We also got the potatoes (fine, nothing special) and the broccolini. The saffron cream tasted awful and the broccoli I was barely cooked. It was inedible. I got 2 tacos, which were better: carne and pork. So my thought is they do meat well, so it could be entirely different if you get an entree; but otherwise I wanted to cancel the order and leave. It was $100 for tasteless overpriced. I rarely go out to eat lately, so the fact that this was that bad was really disappointing. pros: wine list and atmosphere, otherwise not worth it. Won’t be returning and will no longer be recommending.

Homestead on the roof is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Owner Scott is very nice. The restaurant is in good condition. Amazing pork confit. Must come back. 10/10.

Came in for the Filipino food iteration. Beautiful rooftop space. We shared the pandesal, papaya salad, sinigang, and the shrimp and pork lumpia. We had also ordered the manok but didn’t eat that on site. The food and drinks took an extremely long time to arrive at the table. Our server remarked on that fact a number of times. It was extremely loud on the rooftop with both the music and a number of large parties so it was hard to communicate with our server. He did his best given the circumstances. When the food finally arrived, it was delicious. However, the wait times were so long that our server brought our check before the Manok had arrived at our table. We took it home in takeaway boxes. Additionally, someone bussing a table nearby spilled water on me and only remarked “it’s just water” and walked away. They did not help clear the spill on our table nor offer me a towel/napkin to remedy the situation which was rather off putting.

Streeterville Social is a chic rooftop gathering spot located on the third floor of Loews Chicago Hotel. It offers a serene escape from the city's hustle and bustle, with sun-drenched daytime vibes transitioning to an enchanting evening ambiance with dimming string lights. The menu features elevated American cuisine, including beef Coulotte and lemongrass chicken skewers.
Streeterville Social, the rooftop bar and restaurant at the Loews Chicago Hotel, is a true gem in the city. The ambiance was perfect, offering a relaxed vibe. What truly made our visit exceptional was the staff, particularly Brian. He was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the evening. One member of our party has a food allergy, and Brian made sure their safety and comfort, which we greatly appreciated. The food was fantastic as well—each dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. Streeterville Social is a must-visit if you're in the area. I can't recommend it enough!

A truly wonderful place that makes you want to come back. One summer evening, my friend and I went to the bar. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch the manager’s name, but he was incredibly attentive: he took photos of us together, and when a heavy rain started, he kindly offered to move us under shelter, brought all our food over, and even gave us umbrellas. You don’t often see this level of care from management — he did everything to make sure we were comfortable. The rain passed, but the memories of that lovely evening and the staff’s kindness stayed with us.
Natalia Y — Google review
The space is nice and the staff are kind, but the food and cocktails are nothing special! I expected much more especially from their bar, but the cocktails we ordered were not as good! Also, their website says they close at 12 but they closed at 11 while we got there at 10:15 and as soon as we sat they said the last call for both food and drink is at 10:30.
Hesam A — Google review
Where to start? They called us 10 minutes before our reservation saying “the kitchen was broken” but we could still come have drinks. This was on a Saturday evening on a holiday weekend, so we weren’t sure if we’d be able to sit down anywhere else, especially with a larger group, so we asked if we would be permitted to bring in outside food, to which we were rudely told no. The host continued to have an attitude towards us. Then we were informed the kitchen was working again and were taken to our seats where we were reminded multiple times we had 2 hours and no more to sit and eat. Our group had made 2 reservations but one of our groups was sat at the sofas, which is super ineffective for actually eating food. Most of us had to eat with our plates in our laps, which for the price and “experience” cost is unacceptable. We were also seated behind plants and a concrete barrier so we couldn’t see much of the “rooftop” view. Additionally, one of our groups was asked for a card to hold, the other was not. Incredibly unprofessional, this should be a policy for all guests or no one. I paid $16 for maybe 6 oz of a cocktail and $24 for an average burger. Maybe happy hour is more worth it but dinner is certainly not, especially considering the less than stellar service and the fact that your rooftop view comes with blaring sirens.
Kristen W — Google review
Pretty expensive for what you get, considering the "rooftop" bar is only on the 3rd floor of the hotel. My $24 rum drink was served with small ice cubes which watered it down quickly, and the $24 chicken appetizer was two small skewers. It's also quite windy, so be careful about flying menus and spilling drinks. Service was okay, but slow and unenthusiastic.
Max U — Google review
Streeterville Social is a hidden gem in the heart of the city — a rooftop that truly lives up to its name. The outdoor ambiance is absolutely beautiful, with stylish seating and greenery that creates a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. It wasn’t crowded when we visited, which made it the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy some cocktails, and have easy conversation with friends. Service was excellent from start to finish — attentive, friendly, and never overbearing. Everything felt clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall comfort of the experience. The cocktails were well-crafted and refreshing, and the food hit the mark too — satisfying without being overly heavy, which is just what you’d want for a rooftop setting.
Eldarbek K — Google review
Well, it’s pretty rare that I decide to post a negative review to tell you honestly I got there larger plate steak and their grilled coconut shrimp. The steak and potatoes were cold and rubbery and not great at all. The coconut shrimp by the way was pretty decent. The waiter asked me how my food was going and I said it’s actually not very good at all and he said oh OK and walked off. I would definitely not recommend coming back unless you’re just looking for a drink
Jeremy M — Google review
A friend and I patronized Streeterville Social this past Sunday and were appalled by the service. Our reservation was at 2pm. She arrived on time and was able to be seated. I arrived shortly after at about 2:15 and by that point she had not received any service. After I arrived, we sat for another 10 or so minutes and still no one even looked our way. No hello, no waters, nothing. It was especially disappointing to see a table who arrived after us be immediately greeted by a server and given waters. We ultimately left and surely will not be returning.

Reggies Chicago is a no-frills brewpub and live music venue located in the South Loop. It's known for hosting loud and spectacular punk rock shows, as well as occasional comedy performances. The venue also features an in-house record store and a rooftop bar with great views of State Street. In addition to its diverse lineup of acts, including hip hop and reggae, Reggies offers a wide pub grub menu with options like wings, burgers, and quesadillas.
We planned on taking the shuttle to a show at the United Center, but we were misinformed that the shuttle was making multiple trips. Fortunately, management listened to us, and took responsibility for the oversight. They provided us with a ride to the venue and gave us the contact info for the bus driver to ensure we made it back on the bus. This is a perfect example of guest service and excellence that one rarely encounters. The staff were also excellent. Our bartender, Nick, was great. The food was delicious and drink prices fair. I 500% recommend Reggies to anyone in the Chicago area.

Tetto Chicago is a rooftop spot located in the cool neighborhood of West Loop. The place offers a clean and comfy atmosphere with a beautiful view of the city. The staff is attentive and welcoming, offering alcohol-free beverage options for non-drinkers. While it may be on the pricey side, the deluxe pepperoni pizza and whipped ricotta come highly recommended. However, there might be a wait for a table or seating at the bar during busy times.
Tetto Chicago is a vibrant rooftop venue in the West Loop, offering a blend of Italian-inspired cuisine, inventive cocktails, and stunning city views. 8,000-square-foot rooftop space that transforms into a lively social hub, especially during the summer months. The culinary offerings at Tetto are curated by Professor Pizza, a renowned brand known for its innovative takes on classic pizza styles. My favorite is Humboldt Pie, a creative combination of vodka sauce, pepperoni, pineapple, red onion, pickled jalapeño, and ranch dressing. Tetto's rooftop setting offers panoramic views of the Chicago skyline, creating a perfect backdrop for evening gatherings.

The staff was nice the food options were weird but the pizza was oddly okay. The pizza also seem to have lunch meat in it the claimed to be a special meat from Italy . The drinks (I had a Long Island) are good but $15 for one and shots are $15 I attach a photo of the glass size for the Long Island and the amount of liquor for the shot . Also the music is very odd kinda disco with old school mixed in but not in a good way. Still a beautiful view of the city. The rice balls come in threes and they are so good .

Bizarre and Annoying Experience at Tetto My recent visit to Tetto was one of the strangest dining experiences I've ever had. What started as a rooftop dinner quickly devolved into a series of odd interruptions that completely ruined the evening. First, and most bizarrely, a man came up to our table, uninvited, to take photos of us while we were in the middle of a conversation. He directed us to pose and took about 10 photos, then returned a few minutes later trying to sell the photos to us. It was a completely random and unwelcome interruption, and the fact that the restaurant seems to allow this is baffling. We also saw another person walking around selling Italian ice, which made the whole place feel less like a restaurant and more like a carnival. On top of that, the atmosphere was chaotic. For a Sunday dinner, the place was extremely loud with a DJ and a smoke machine. This wasn't mentioned anywhere online and made it difficult to even have a conversation. The service was also incredibly slow; it took a full 30 minutes just to get a glass of water after we were seated. Asked for a server just to have our own server tell us our server will be right with us, then came back herself later. Felt like I was an annoyance the entire time to the entire staff. They should switch to self ordering and checkout to avoid this entire mess. Place also has automatic 20% gratuity built in that no one calls out. The food was also extremely mediocre. My soda was flat when it came out. Overall, the entire experience was just weird and annoying. I’ve never even seen this happen at any establishment, abroad or domestic. Honestly terrible and ruined what was supposed to be a nice meal. The unprofessional atmosphere and constant interruptions made it impossible to enjoy our time. I definitely will not be returning.

A 40-minute wait. The drink I ordered was mango, and it didn't taste good. Upon receiving our table, we were informed that the kitchen would be closing soon. If you're looking for a place with music and a nice view, this is it! But the drinks weren't to my liking.

So… I don’t even know where to start… it was supposed to be an event at a night club. We came at 10pm and party was ending at midnight. Entry fee was 60$ per person and we didn’t even get a chance to dance. Even though it’s a rooftop they said smoking isn’t allowed. When we wanted to go outside to smoke, they said there is no re-entry. So when my friend lit up a cigarette, security guard totally ruined the whole experience!!! He started pushing me out of the bar even though I wasn’t even smoking. Manager was pointing a flashlight at me and another girl manager was absolutely disrespectful! As a customer who didn’t brake law, who was not intoxicated, did not disrespect no one and did not disturb nobody I was treated totally horrible!!! Just do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere else!

We enjoyed the rooftop for drinks after lunch at Tabu. Several people ordered the pizza, so I'd be interested to check it out next time. Shanghai Terrace is a high-end Chinese restaurant located in the Peninsula Hotel, offering an elegant dining experience with 1930s-style decor and a terrace boasting scenic views. The luxurious ambiance is complemented by details such as golden chopstick holders and monogrammed towels. The menu features upscale Cantonese dishes, including exquisite dim sum options like lobster and truffle dumplings, bean curd rolls with scallop, and fresh rice crepes.
The food is delicious. Peking duck is hands down the best you can find in town. Our server is great! We enjoyed our dessert a lot too and Mango pudding is a must try!

Needless to say, the Peninsula does an amazing job of creating a wonderful dining experience at this spot, located on the 4th floor of the hotel. My first time having lunch at Shanghai Terrace. Let’s start with the sparkling water, it was warm. We sat outdoors and the temperature was 87 degrees Fahrenheit! Our waiter ignored me several times trying to flag him down for ice. I finally got another waiter to bring a bucket of ice over. It was not even busy. The food came and I thought I was eating food served in China town in a 2 star restaurant. The presentation and the taste of food were horrible. I am a foodie. Never again. And I mean never!! The Halibut was decent but I could steam it myself and throw crushed ginger and sliced red pepper on top, nothing special. The mixed vegetables were bad because the way they cut the different vegetables were as though a child did it and all I tasted was salt, I asked them to leave out oyster sauce and replace with garlic but I did not taste any garlic. The duck soup was bland with too much noodles that my aunt had to remove half of it. The beef fried dumplings had bad meat and tasted salty. This is my honest opinion and I eat out a lot.

My husband took me here for my birthday dinner and we had a phenomenal experience! First of all, the staff are all so friendly and helpful; they immediately set the ambiance while seating you. The outdoor terrace had such a great energy about it and was a great spot to enjoy our meal. The pork dumplings were very juicy and flavorful, the scallops were melt-in-your mouth good (although the picture doesn’t do them Justice), and the Kung Pao Chicken was incredible. We also both loved our cocktails! In addition, the restaurant brought a complimentary dessert to help make my birthday that much more special. We would definitely come here again!

Fried rice and Fried noodle is the best, peking duck and lobster is on par, dim sum and soup is a bit disappointing, doesn't taste like freshly made in the day. Free mooncake and birthday cake is great, better than most desert I ever had in other restaurants, flavorful but not too sweet and too heavy. I would like to come back again for the fried rice/noodle, desert , maybe veggies next time.

We were staying at the hotel so we Came up here to check out. What a fun atmosphere. Everybody was having a good time. Make a reservation. First come first serve. The place was full of people. Great place to meet up. We were going to eat something but ended up leaving quickly because there were no seats available for us. The staff seemed nice. Only 6 people allowed in the elevator at any one time so it may take a while before you can go upstairs. Fun place with great views.

The burger is not good. patty on the dry side and was more medium well than the medium that I had ordered. The pretzel bun was also way too thick for the patty. Fries were decent. Food overpriced for the quality and taste that you get. The interior decorations are also outdated and not exciting. No wait for the interior restaurant but had a 30 minute wait at 4:30pm on a Wednesday without reservations. They also do not accept apple pay. Would not recommend.

My 2 adult daughters and I went to LH Rooftop for brunch on a Saturday morning. The food was mediocre, but the views elevated it to four stars. Our server was friendly, but seemed like she was serving too many tables as it took 10 minutes to get salt, etc. One of our appetizers arrived after we were done eating our entrees. I ordered the Elena Ruz, which was decent, and a side of tater tots which were very tasty! We ordered the burger, which was probably the best thing on the table. We also ordered the avocado toast, which was very bland, and by the time the salt arrived, the eggs were completely cold. For apps: the churros were undercooked, but the truffle fries were good. The views made up for it overall.

I have absolutely no complaints about my visit here. I went at 11am when they first opened and was able to be seated immediately. I would recommend having a reservation though because tables fill up pretty quickly. Great drinks, great food, and beautiful views of the city. Highly recommend!
Mahad H — Google review
For me LH rooftop was worth a hype. We reserved around sunset, the atmosphere and views of river/downtown was awesome. Because of our timing, we could appreciate the view both in daylight as well as evening city lights. Both views were awesome, may be city light slightly better. For the place like this, menu was really diverse. So many good options to choose from unlike many similar range resturants which usually offer rather plain simple menu. Foods were good as well which were obviously catered for nice dining experience and nobody expects authentic taste in this range resturant. But still food were flavourful. Drinks were also good. Service was nice. I recommend to try this place at least once. We had to reserve couple of months ahead to get out desired date and time.

If you are looking for a great rooftop experience without a reservation, check out the LH rooftop! They have a reservation area but they also have an open area too. The architecture river cruise tour guide recommended this place. It is worth a visit! The drinks and bar service were great! Good service and a great conversational spot.

The food was pretty good and the drinks were absolutely fab. The atmosphere was a total vibe. Recommended the Purple rain sangria and the truffle fries…they were so good I failed to capture a photo! A very large portion and so flavorful. I also recommend the cheesy corn…so delish! The inside back area with a fire wall was beautiful but there weren’t any tables for 3 so we sat inside near a window and it was cute. We wanted to sit outside on the rooftop but unfortunately there isn’t ANY shade up there. That was totally disappointing since the views are amazing. I hope they invest in some canopy’s or umbrellas.
Maura G — Google review
We had a table reserved for 11 AM inside, but when we arrived, we were seated on the terrace. The view was stunning and the service was good. The menu isn’t very diverse, but the dishes we ordered were tasty. A salad, main course, appetizer, and one cocktail came to $101, plus tips were separate. The menu lacks coffee — in the morning, it would be nice to have something hot to drink.

Gibsons Italia is a high-end restaurant that offers a blend of Italian cuisine and American steaks, accompanied by an extensive wine selection. Located on the Chicago River, this three-story establishment boasts a rooftop terrace with stunning views of the city skyline. The restaurant prides itself on using top-quality ingredients from around the world, including gold-extruded pastas and a variety of premium beef cuts.
This was a very wonderful experience. Each member of the staff that had anything to do with our reservation was extremely kind and professional. Our dinner selections were as beautiful as they were delicious. Since I wasn't clear on the "soup bowl licking policy" at Gibson's, I restrained myself, but it wasn't easy, as the King Crab Bisque was one of the best things I've ever tasted.

Went for my husband's birthday. Had never been here but I've been wanting to go ever since it opened. What a great restaurant!! The server was awesome! I believe her name was Jennie. So attentive in the best way. Had appetizers, a pasta course and then steaks. Everything was delicious! The view from our table was incredible and loved seeing the buildings along the river light up as the sun set. I must go back soon, it's really that good. Husband loved it and still talks about it. I believe we arrived at 530 and left around 830, the night just flowed easily.

Amazing ambiance and river view - the standout to me was the baked potato. So rich, good crust, and absorbed flavor so well. The spicy rigatoni pasta had good flavor, but it was a little chewier than I’d expect. I liked the steak, but wasn’t overly impressed and I prefer Bavettes. Some compound better would’ve elevated it further. I think this is a great meal, certainly expensive but excellent for business meals.

Went here to treat myself after the Chicago Marathon 2025 because I have see. A lot of amazing reviews. And they didn’t disappoint! I walked in and got a table, the reception was so welcoming and friendly, the staff at the second floor was so friendly too. I ordered the Chicago steak and it was amazing! I was wearing my medal when I went - they are so sweet they gave me a free dessert - chicolate cake with vanilla ice cream. My waitress - Elena - was the best! I was dining alone and she made sure I was attended properly. Thank you so much. I’ll definitely recommend to friends.

Some restaurants serve steak. Gibsons Italia serves a statement. Our group of ten gathered for a business dinner and left with a masterclass in indulgence. From the start, the tone was clear—crisp linens, elegant glassware, and a menu that dares you to order bold. And we did. We opened with a sampler of antipasti—each bite more seductive than the last. The arancini was textbook creamy, the meatball was unapologetically rich, and the truffle risotto teased with depth and decadence. The spicy rigatoni played its part, giving just enough heat to wake up the palate without stealing the show. But let’s not mince words. You come to Gibsons for the meat. Our table took it seriously—ordering a board stacked with wagyu NY strip, Chicago cut, Australian lamb chops, and a few bone-in filets. All were cooked with surgeon-level precision, seared deeply and sliced thick. The crust cracked just enough before giving way to beef that was both buttery and assertive. The lamb chops were fragrant with rosemary and blushing pink to perfection. Sides played the supporting role as expected. The Brussels sprouts had attitude, the mushrooms brought earth, and the potato puree was silk in a bowl. Dessert was not an afterthought. A banana gelato tart stole the spotlight with playful nostalgia and layered sweetness. If you’re still holding court at the table by then, the tiramisu keeps the night lingering. Service was polished but never stiff. And while the final bill climbed into four-digit territory, it felt earned. This is not your weeknight dinner stop—it is your celebration, your deal-closer, your once-a-year indulgence. Gibsons Italia delivers drama and discipline. If you know what to order and how to enjoy it, you will leave grinning.

We had an amazing lunch on a beautiful Sunday. They sat us at a table by the window per our request and Ilarion went above and beyond to make our celebration very special. The brussel sprouts, papparedelle, and Chicago cut steak were delicious. We will be back!

Loved my experience at Gibson! We got king crab bisque, garlic focaccia, king crab arrabiata, cacio e peppe, rigatoni vodka. Server was very nice, they even help split the dishes since we had many people. Arrabiata could be 10x more spicy, but that's because I'm a spicy food eater. Great time celebrating my birthday here. Thanks Gibson team, we'll be back!

Guests can indulge in Japanese-Peruvian fusion cuisine at the signature Nobu Restaurant and savor small dishes and signature cocktails at the new-concept Nobu Rooftop while enjoying stunning skyline views.
It was a great experience w Nobu I'm a big fan of sushi, and Nobu is one of the must-visit restaurants in Chicago. The interior is beautifully decorated ,very clean and good environment. The host and server were helpful and friendly. I love the food presentation here it's exciting, and the fish is fresh. I highly recommend the Wagyu A5 Salmon Nigiri and the Lobster. You should to reservations! I will come back

It was a great experience at Nobu for us, was our first. It’s fine dining, amazing sushi options and drinks. Host and servers are very great and very helpful. They can even help you with the recommendations based on what you are looking for. Very beautiful ambiance, elegant and a great spot for a perfect date or with a group of friends. Highly recommend to make reservations ahead of time.

I went to the brunch buffet at Nobu on Sunday. The host and all the staff are great. Place is nice decoration. Cocktail is good. Food station is not impressed at all for the price we paid 75 ++ per person. I think this price, Nobu could do better quality and options. Hot food it’s not hot as it’s pre cook and put under the heat lamp for a while until it’s not hot and fresh and still standing there until someone pick it up. Dessert is good enough but need to manage the flies. I think brunch somewhere else is better to pay this price.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nobu Chicago – 854 W Randolph St, Chicago, IL 60607 What an incredible dining experience! ✨ From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is modern, stylish, and welcoming. The interior design is stunning—from the beautiful ceiling details to the elegant dining spaces and even the restrooms, everything feels thoughtfully put together. 🌸 The food is absolutely amazing. Every dish is presented with care and artistry—fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable. 🍣🥢 The salads were crisp and well-balanced, the sashimi and specialty plates were delicate yet bold, and the desserts (like mochi ice cream and green tea delights) were the perfect finish. 🍵🍨 Service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and professional. The staff makes sure you feel taken care of without being rushed, which really elevates the whole experience. 👌 Nobu is a true gem in the West Loop, an area already known for its amazing restaurants. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, having a business dinner, or just want to treat yourself to something extraordinary, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy some of the best that Chicago has to offer. 🌆❤️

First time here 9/9/25. We were not impressed. The service was great!! The ambiance is great!! The yuzu sunset cocktail is a must try. The baked crab maki sushi roll was basic. The spicy tuna was basic. The miso cod was too sweet. The rock shrimp is like a bang bang shrimp, But good. The cucumber salad was good as well. The miso soup had too much of something but tolerable. Overall, we don't plan on coming back.

Class establishment. I sat at the bar. Had a nice martini and a bottle of nigori sake. I had the most delicious salmon signature dish and the rock shrimp with greens. Carrie (maybe Keri or Kerry) the bartender did me right and helped me order the best food. Had sushi with sashimi and finished with a nice cheesecake dessert. Love this spot and would def go back.

Nobu brunch was good. It’s a steep $75 dollars per person for a good selection of sushi and small selection of breakfast items. I’d say it’s worth it if you are a fan of AYCE sushi. Service was attentive, they answered questions about allergies, and even folded my napkin when I went to get more food.

Japanese restaurant
Restaurant
Miru, located in Lakeview East, offers a luxurious dining experience with stunning 11th-floor views. The Japanese restaurant is known for its delectable desserts, including options like chocolate ganache tart with matcha ice cream and warm mochi cake with charcoal-vanilla ice cream. The classy and modern interior features large open windows, making it perfect for special occasions or gatherings.
An absolutely stunning restaurant located inside the St. Regis with a breathtaking view of Chicago. The food was incredible--not just the typical Japanese food you might find, but incredibly fresh and innovative. I came here with my wife who is not so much into sushi, and she enjoyed many great non-fish options like steak, spring rolls, grilled avocado, and broccoli with delicious sauce (pictured below). Not one dish I tried here was underwhelming-- especially the desserts! My highest recommendation (if you are with a group) is to share a few desserts because they are unlike any other. Unconventional in the best way. This is more than just a restaurant; the fascinating food combined with a beautiful location makes this the perfect spot for a higher end occasion.

The rooftop offers breathtaking views, but reservations are a must since it gets crowded. The food is excellent, but it’s a bit pricey, and the portions are smaller. But if you’re aware of that, you’ll be delighted by the elegant and friendly staff, as well as the lovely location. The Japanese salad was a flavor bomb, and the sushi/salmon selection was top-notch, with 22 pieces to choose from!

Miru was an absolute delight! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the ambiance was simply beautiful, making it an ideal spot for a night out. We loved every dish we ordered… small portion sizes tho… unique flavor and exceptional taste for sure… Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to the perfection. Just a side note on the drinks, I personally think drinks could have been much better and tastier. Rooftop is a bonus :) Overall, I definitely think Miru is a great spot for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.

My party of 2 dined at Miru for breakfast on a weekday morning. The restaurant is beautiful with lovely views! Service was an A+, no complaints at all! The food was absolutely delicious! We had The American, Midwestern Omelette (add sausage) and split the Pancakes. The pancakes had an amazing whipped ricotta and fresh blueberries and bacon was thick and so good! The portions were huge so we weren’t able to eat everything…but we sure tried! I highly recommend dining here if you’re ever in the area or a guest in the hotel.

I had doubts about going to a sushi restaurant as a vegetarian, but I truly had a 5-star dining experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the server was very hospitable and always prompt, and all of the food tasted absolutely amazing. In particular, the miso soup was some of the best I ever had. I had a Golden Hour mocktail, miso soup, grilled avocado, spinach ohitashi, wild mushroom sizzling rice, and the coconut mango dessert.

We had such a great experience at Miru! The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere was beautiful, perfect for a night out. We enjoyed everything we ordered, especially the sushi, wild mushroom sizzling rice, and broccolini. But the standout for us was the grilled avocado so unique and seriously delicious. Also loved the spicy bluefin tuna crispy rice. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and just really well done. Highly recommend!

Miru was truly an unquestionable dining experience. Rather you are dining alone, romantically, family affair or friends it’s an amazing time. The Auru was incredible. It was so peaceful a place to unwind and sightsee. Just breathtaking of the beautiful downtown and the river front views. Upon arrival, valet the car which was definitely an option. Greeted by the beautiful host Liz. She was nothing short from amazing. She then, Checked me in and seated me at the best table for the best view. She was a beautiful soul! I ordered the St Regis Prime burger, miso soup, shrimp tempura Maki and my Riesling White wine. They were delicious. For some reason I had a craving for a burger at an Japanese cuisine. (Crazy right)!! Miru definitely hit the spot! What I loved most about the menu was it wasn’t JUST raw entrees but also other options for the non raw eaters. That was in-fact an excellent quality for Miru. What do you know! Once again, another great lunch on another great afternoon. Check em out!

Mediterranean restaurant
SIFR is a contemporary Middle Eastern restaurant created by the team behind Indienne. The menu offers a diverse selection of dishes, such as chicken liver pate with pomegranate molasses and parsley oil, as well as fava-filled manti in silky butternut ashta. The restaurant features a trendy ambiance with abundant greenery and tropical house music. Guests can expect attentive service and a pleasant dining experience.
SIFR is an experience. From the moment you walk in the atmosphere envelops you, and you're greeted by friendly, welcoming staff. As someone who doesn't eat often at expensive places, I was curious how good the food would be. It delivered on all fronts. Everything was freshly made, perfectly prepared, and excellent. To be honest there wasn't a single flaw, even minor, in any of the four courses we ate. Everything was better than I even thought it'd be. Throughout the meal staff were attentive and drinks never emptied, used plates never lingered, and food was brought out promptly. We are leisurely and we're never pressured to move along and the entire experience felt comfortably relaxed yet at the top of it's game. The owner came out to make sure we were happy and spent some time telling us some of the history and was appreciative of our patronage. In short, it was one of the most wonderful dining experiences of my life, and I really don't have much else to compare to at this level. I have rarely had a dinner tab that approached $100 per person, yet this felt worth it, and then some. Very well done, I'd come back in a heartbeat the next time I'm in Chicago.

Incredible experience from beginning to end. The beverages were outstanding in presentation and flavor combinations. The food was equally satisfying. The dishes were satisfying to the eyes, nose, and palate. The ingredients were fresh and the food options were plentiful. Great variety of meat/ vegetarian options. The service was immaculate. The servers were attentive and dishes were removed and silverware was reset with each course. 10/10 recommend Sifr for a great food and beverage experience. The price is fair for the food quality and service.

Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! The food was phenomenal; we ordered way too much, but it was worth it! We had the vegetarian mezze, a must in my opinion! You have so many different spreads to try, every single one was super tasty and full of flavor! We also got the halloumi, the way it is prepared is different from what I've had before so I loved it! For our mains, we had the chicken kebab and the prawns, which were absolutely delicious! We also got the potatoes as a side, not my favorites, but still tasty! We were so full that we couldn’t get dessert. 🤣 We also got some drinks; I had a very refreshing mocktail! The service was quick and super attentive, I would definitely go back!
Yenderson J — Google review
The tasting menu for $60 was completely worth it as it offered a four-course meal that included dessert. Everything was flavorful and super delicious! The service was amazing and was very attentive. He made us feel very welcome and the atmosphere of the restaurant is divine. The candlelight on the tables make for a sweet romantic dinner or for relaxing night with friends. I would recommend reservations ahead of time since this place does get busy. If you're thinking about celebrating a special occasion here go ahead and book the reservation. You will not regret it!

We got the a la carte menu and I would say the mezze platter was really good, lamb shank was also tasty. We ordered these for 3 of us and it was plenty of food and we were very satisfied at the end. Spent about $60 pp after everything.
Yining L — Google review
Overall a good experience. We were seated immediately after we got there, but we were only presented with the tasting menu option and didn't get the regular menu until we asked. As for the food, the mezze platter is a great way to taste a bunch of options that they offer. I also got the lamb shank, which was cooked perfectly and falling off the bone, although the pilaf was tasting a little bit bland. The toum, zhoug, and esme trio offers very unique flavors that I didn't try before and pairs well with almost anything. The pita bread was also very tasty and soft. One thing is that they did advertise wood fire middle eastern but for me I just couldn't taste much difference.

Selva is a rooftop bar located on the 7th floor of The Emily Hotel in Fulton Market, Chicago. It offers an indoor-outdoor space with stylish decor and a menu featuring agave-forward cocktails and Mexican-inspired bites. The bar provides scenic views of the Chicago skyline, making it a great spot to enjoy trendy drinks like the El Diablo Picante and Ekto Cooler.
It was my step daughters birthday and after we left our dinner location we stopped here to have a few drinks before we went home. We haven’t been here in about a year. It was originally the acme hotel and I’m thinking after a sale and a few renovations.. selva emerged.. even better than ever.. we only stayed for about a hour.. but we had a great time.. I just wish we had more time but maybe next time..

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Selva, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish! We kicked off our night with some amazing drinks, including their Agave Flight, the Intro to Mezcal, and the standout cocktail, THE G.O.A.T. Each sip was a delightful journey through unique flavors that perfectly complemented the vibrant atmosphere. The food was equally impressive. We indulged in the Chicken Tinga Tacos, which were bursting with flavor, and the Quesadilla, which was cheesy and satisfying. The Sun Cloud dish added a refreshing twist, while the Totopos and Tostones provided the perfect crunchy accompaniment. Every bite was a testament to the kitchen’s talent and creativity. The entertainment was the icing on the cake. We were captivated by some of the best burlesque dancers, who kept the energy high and our toes tapping throughout the evening. Their performances added a playful and engaging element to our night. To end our evening on a sweet note, we enjoyed the Warm Spiced Chocolate Cookie. It was the perfect finish—soft, rich, and indulgent, leaving us with a smile on our faces. Overall, Selva hit all the right notes with exceptional drinks, delicious food, and fantastic entertainment. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun night out!

Saturday night in Chicago go to Selva to celebrate a friend's bday after we had dinner. We arrive our party is already here. When we get to the host stand we're told we have to wait because they are "at capacity" but I can clearly see the place is half empty so make it make sense. Then the guy says oh it's because we're short staffed my friend says we're not eating we just want to meet our friends, we're still told to wait. As we are texting our friends we are leaving 3 people walk out and leave so theoretically I would think we can go in now since 3 left and it's only 2 of us...Wrong. The guy says the capacity rules are for "everyones safety". I've been here several times and spent my hard earned money. I've never experienced such poor treatment. If it had been packed (which I've seen on other visits) I would understand but it's literally half empty in here wide open spaces at the bar, booths, and outside. As we're leaving the guy says you can come in now. I'll keep my couple dollars to myself.

First time here 9/9/25. It was a good experience. Every staff member is extremely professional and pleasant. Every bath is worth trying. The salt bath will make your body float my fav was the peppermint steam room. We received a 45 minute full body massage. My masseuse was okay, could have been a little bit more gentle but overall not bad. Thats the reason for the 4 stars. Our experience was for 2 hours and we definitely got our money worth. The ambiance is breath taking. After leaving here your body will feel relaxed and rejuvenated. You are not allowed to take your phones past the locker room for people's privacy. Im glad it's like that, so you can focus on your relaxation experience. I recommend to visit here.

My husband and I flew to Chicago specifically to visit AIRE Ancient Baths for our 13th wedding anniversary. I had previously visited in April with friends and absolutely loved the experience, which is why I was excited to return and pamper my husband with the Love Connection 90 service — a 90-minute couples massage and thermal bath experience. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. After spending over 90 minutes in the thermal baths, I asked an attendant when our massages would begin because I didn’t want to miss our service. We were told we were “next” and would start in about five minutes. However, when we were finally brought back, we were placed in separate rooms instead of a couples room as booked. The massages started late and ended early — not our fault, as they were clearly running behind — and the quality of the massages themselves was subpar. When checking out, I asked the receptionist if it was normal to be separated for the Love Connection service. She apologized and confirmed it was not normal, saying she would leave my appointment open for a manager to contact me. The service took place on October 11, and after hearing nothing by October 20, I followed up via email. I received a quick response that my message was being passed to a manager, but now it’s October 24 and I still haven’t heard back. As a spa owner myself, I hesitate to leave negative reviews, but this was a truly disappointing experience — especially given the cost and how highly this spa is rated. The lack of communication and follow-through afterward only added to the frustration. Sadly, I don’t think we’d return or recommend it, which is unfortunate considering how wonderful my first visit was earlier this year.

My experience at Aire Ancient Baths Spa was amazing from start to finish — easy, serene, and completely relaxing. The atmosphere was so peaceful, and the “whisper only” rule really helped maintain a calm, soothing vibe throughout the space. My massage with Gene was incredible — perfect pressure and exactly what I needed. And the cold plunge inside the steam room? Freakin’ AWESOME! Highly recommend treating yourself here.

Wow!! I don’t even know where to start. This whole experience was absolutely amazing, and we left feeling beyond relaxed. The atmosphere is serene. from the moment you walk in, the staff make sure you’re completely taken care of, moving quietly without ever breaking that peaceful spell. Each bath is worth trying, but the cold plunge was easily my favorite. I went back a few times just to feel that rush. It’s not just the temperature shift, but that split second when your body pauses to take a breath and a calm just washes over you. It’s such a strange, grounding peace that I couldn’t get enough of. The warm stone beds felt dangerously comfortable, we had to keep reminding ourselves not to stay too long or we really would’ve fallen asleep right there. The low lighting and quiet, intimate setting make it perfect for a peaceful escape (the whisper rule definitely helps with that). We also loved the salt scrub area; we helped each other out, and our skin felt unbelievably smooth afterward. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. the kind that lingers with you even after you’ve left.

Long post- My husband booked me a 90 minute bath for my birthday weekend for a 8am appointment on a sunday. (Which I highly recommend) being its early morning, less people at that time, and what a great way to start the day. The staff in the women's locker room were so nice and accommodating. The locker area is fairly small- and changing room is mid. Likes: walking out into the baths was a vibe! beautiful beautiful building- loved everything about the baths and the layout. My favorite was the warm bath that went outside. That day it was raining so it was super cool to swim under the bath and be outside. loved the steam rooms- was my absolute fave! love the diversity of staff. Had a great attendant who showed me around the spas. Also mentioning again arriving at 8am was perfect. (less people) Dislikes: This place is BEST with a partner, with a crew. I could NOT fully relax solo when folks around me are chatting, kissing ;-|, It was completely distracting. Bathrooms near pools were not clean. ALSOOOO... I have been to women only baths and i would prefer that than this (unless with others) I personally did not like the feeling of being in a bath with my swimsuit and my eyes closed relaxing, and a man is just above my gaze. Just didnt feel comfortable. Lastly as my 90 mins were near the end I saw something really awful looking floating in the big bath. It immediately turned me off- I got up and told an attendant, she also saw it and told me she would address it. When leaving the baths she went back to her post, and didnt seem as if it was high priority. (just put a bad taste in my mouth) Conclusion: I raise this issue to the front desk- they were apologetic, but still... idk gave me an extra juice which was what my compensation was for my disdain..

The staff, ambience, and variety of waters/steam rooms were amazing! I lost track of time, but staff made sure I was aware of how much time we had left in our session. Would highly recommend for a couple or girls trip!

Royal Palms Chicago is a lively hangout located in the Bucktown neighborhood. It's the second location of the popular Brooklyn sensation, featuring full-size shuffleboard courts, drinks, food trucks, and occasional live music. The club boasts ten shuffleboard courts inside and a rooftop deck called the Lido Deck with its own shuffleboard court. Visitors can purchase food from rotating weekly food trucks downstairs and enjoy it on the rooftop deck while sipping on signature cocktails and beers.
First time visitors and could not be more delighted with our experience! Our shuffleboard coach and server, Katie, was an absolute delight. She truly made the experience! Can’t wait to visit again.

Discovered Royal Palms through a friend and had the pleasure of cohosting a networking event at the venue, and am in love! Not only are the drinks fantastic (shout out to the bartender Adam) but the vibe was phenomenal! The DJ on set really created and kept up the atmosphere and our party genuinely enjoyed themselves. Will definitely be back at my earliest convenience to introduce other friends!

Don’t walk on the courts 😜 Such a unique and fun spot! We came for a tournament and had a blast, lively atmosphere, great music, and awesome shuffleboard courts. Staff are friendly, attentive, and generous shoutout to Caption for fantastic service! Creative mocktails, and the bar’s fun shots and cocktails are great too. Food is delicious birria tacos, and possibly the best chicken fingers in the city. Awesome for birthdays, corporate events, date nights, or just fun with friends!

Copy-paste of the Brooklyn location, down to the bathroom wallpaper. Love the giant game sets and finally tried out shuffleboard! Great for a date night.

I recently hosted a corporate event here, and it was fantastic! Great activity for those that want to learn shuffleboard or just sit and enjoy the atmosphere. The food truck (Bumbu Roux) was incredible, and the event planner (Taylor) was super thorough, helpful and responsive. I cannot recommend more!

We had so much fun first time ever playing shuffleboard. The woman that explained how to play was very informative. It was very nice and clean inside. It threw me back to the days of watching the boat and then playing shuffleboard on the Lido deck. For anyone that’s looking for a fun night out this is the place place to go. Five stars.

Great spot for groups, parties or just to hang out at the bar. The shuffle board is fun and the team does a good job explaining the rules and take care of your drinks while playing. They have a good selection of drinks and mocktails as well. The dj played some good tunes. Went there for 3 hours company party, ended up spending 6 hours and wanted to stay longer. Recommended.

Pandan is a chic and modern lounge located on the 18th floor of the Viceroy Hotel in Chicago's Gold Coast area. Unlike other hotel poolside bars, Pandan is open to the public, offering stunning views of the skyline. The interior boasts mid-century modern style with leather couches, emerald green accents, brass hardware, and marble touches. Guests can enjoy Southeast Asian-inspired small plates and unique cocktails while taking in the ambiance.
Lovely addition to the Gold Coast area! My boyfriend and I enjoyed a spectacular dinner outside on a calm but ambient Wednesday evening. Amazing views from the 18th floor of the Viceroy Hotel paired with Southeast Asian inspired small plates and unique cocktails. The interior of the lounge is very much tailored to a mid century modern style with leather couches, pops of emerald green, as well as brass hardware and touches of marble. We absolutely loved our time here, and indulged in so many delicious dishes. Can’t wait to come back again!

First time visiting and came for a happy hour casual birthday celebration. From the moment I walked in, the staff were so attentive— Rita and Quinn were so thoughtful and personable throughout our time there and made wonderful suggestions. We greatly enjoyed the cocktails, I particularly loved the yuzu spritz! We had a couple of appetizers but the egg rolls were our fave. We were also surprised with some complimentary drinks in honor of the birthday celebration. The atmosphere is beautiful and I can’t wait to return to take advantage of the patio as the weather improves!

Pandan is a cozy and unique rooftop lounge in the Gold Coast. We loved the lobster dumplings and cocktails. The views are good and the atmosphere itself is fine; not outstanding or spectacular by any means. If you’re in the area, definitely make a reservation for a great seat. I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to come here though.

Pandan's Chicago Lounge is a new and exciting addition to the Gold Coast, offering a chic, modern venue with good vibes, plush seating, ambient lighting, and stylish decor. It features nice drinks, including craft cocktails and fine wines, alongside great gourmet small bites, creating a vibrant and inviting atmosphere.

This is my go-to rooftop bar to bring my friends/family when they’re visiting from out of town! And last night, we had reservations to celebrate our friend’s engagement. We had to push the reservation back 1 hour and they were so kind and accommodating. As soon as we arrived, the employees had HUGE smiles on their face and served our entire table champagne! This place continues to be my favorite rooftop bar in Chicago!!

What an amazing spot in Chicago! Everything about this place was truly perfect. We came in on a Saturday night for drinks, and had the best time ever. The service, vibe, and overall creativity/experience factor of this spot was amazing! We all got the BEST prosecco drinks to start off (they used this unique liqueur in the drink that we had never seen elsewhere, and it was so interesting and delicious) and then each got different cocktails. Every detail was thought out in the cocktails, from the garnishes down to the glass types (loved the pufferfish one!) and the presentation (one of them was served tableside so that we could see a color change of the drink, which was so thoughtful). The service was amazing too; our server gave such interesting insights into the different flavor profiles of each cocktail, and helped tailor our choices to what we were wanting to drink that night. Clearly this place is a hotspot in Chicago, as well. It was SO lively both indoors and outdoors, and I would be remiss to not touch on the fact that the design inside, along with the couches and outdoor heaters truly brought this place to the next level. As first-time visitors in Chicago, this was certainly a highlight, and the view cannot be beat. We will be back!

Carnivale is a vibrant Latin-inspired restaurant in Chicago that offers a festive atmosphere and colorful decor. The eatery features food from South America, Spain, and the Caribbean, providing an eclectic dining experience. For couples looking for an exciting night out, Carnivale's 'Copa' offers an interactive cabaret-style dining entertainment experience with music, dance, mixology, and cuisine that transports guests to Latin America.
First time at Carnival and really impressive restaurant. Great vibe and character. We were celebrating our anniversary and thought that this looked just right for dinner and drinks. Antonio our server was extremely friendly and took great care of us. It was a pleasure to have our table off the main floor which made it a little more intimate for us. Cocktails were awesome, food was delicious and we were surprised with an excellent anniversary dessert. Nicely done!

Beautifully designed, happy place full of flavor and lots of color! It had been a few years since we’d visited and enjoyed each moment. The food was flavorful and portioned just appropriately for sharing. The drinks were fun and creative and the cotton candy/popcorn treat at the end was seasoned perfectly.

Food flavors were ok, not great as I expected No manager interaction or visit at the table...spent $300 and didn't feel worth it

We visited Carnivale on a weekday and arrived at 4:50 p.m. for our 5:00 reservation. Despite being early, we were told we couldn’t be seated and were asked to wait at the bar. A group that arrived after us was seated right away, and we ended up waiting until 5:15 before being shown to our table. Our server felt pushy from the start. Within minutes of sitting down, he asked if we were ready to order drinks. We requested a little more time, and when he returned he rushed through a long, rapid rundown of the menu. Although, he may have wanted to be helpful, it seemed as though he was running out of patience. We eventually ordered appetizers—the pupusas and yucca fries—which were both great. For our entrée, the server recommended the seafood paella, mentioning (unprompted) that it was large enough to share. We went with his suggestion, but the dish was disappointing. The rice tasted scorched—not in a socarrat, crispy-bottom way, but as if it had been part of a large batch left on the flame too long. It was somewhat soupy, and although the seafood on top was decent, the rice carried that burnt, blackened flavor throughout. For dessert, we had the pound cake. It was just okay, with a slightly bitter note, even though the server assured us there was no rum in it. Overall, the experience was mixed, with some good appetizers but several service and food issues that left us underwhelmed.

We recently visited for dinner, and it was an amazing experience! The Ropa Vieja and Arrachera were perfectly cooked, and the sides were fresh and flavorful. The staff were super friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere was cozy, with soft music and nice lighting. Prices were fair for the quality. Wine was delicious…. Definitely coming back soon!

If you want a special dining experience, this is the place for you. The food is delicious, plentiful, and exotic. The ambiance, music, and atmosphere makes you feel as if you are at a carnival. Dancers conga through the dining floor. Later experience the bar nightlife. Great for couples or groups. Paid parking conveniently across the street.

We had a great time at Carnival last night. The food, decor, service, and music were amazing, I was dancing the whole meal. We got the dinner for two. The market house salad, amazing. A strawberry mocktail, and their house old fashion made with tequila. Which honestly is enough for four, huge portions. Everything was juicy, tender, and delicious. The chief even came out to greet us. We are really happy we stumbled upon this beautiful dining experience. Definitely will have to come back.

Nestled on the 16th floor of the Trump International Hotel & Tower, Terrace 16 is a chic rooftop lounge that embodies the essence of Chicago's vibrant summer atmosphere all year round. With its warm design and welcoming hospitality, this upscale venue offers guests an unforgettable experience complemented by stunning views of iconic city landmarks. The indoor bar and dining area buzz with energy, while the expansive outdoor terrace invites you to savor new American cuisine crafted from fresh ingredients that truly shine.
Let's begin with the staff, they were all very attentive, personable and friendly. Service only received 3 stars due to what appeared to be a lack of wait staff. Everyone we encountered was great, just too much time between visits to the table. Moving on to the ambiance and atmosphere... Stunning with beautiful views of the Chicago River, London Hotel, Wrigley building and more. The interior is beautiful with comfortable seating. The food was excellent 👌. We had appetizers and shared an entree. Everything was flavorful, tasty, and presented beautifully. I look forward to visiting again. Especially for the S'mores.

The VIEW is breathtaking! I had reservations for Sunday brunch. We arrived several minutes before our reservation. But still waited for a while to be seated outside. It was worth the wait. I highly recommend having a reservation. Also, the restaurant is located on the 16th floor in Trump International Hotel.

It was an amazing experience so far. Our breakfast was excellent, and our service always checked on us to make sure everything was perfect. He told me his name but I forgot. It started with the M and seemed like he was the only service during breakfast hours because our breakfast reservation was 7:15am and later on like 8:40am and yeah I only see him take care of other tables as well. My sister got the buttermilk package, and I got the traditional eggs Benedict and cafe latte. I love how my meal was made, those yolks eggs. Delicious 😋. Since we wanted to enjoy the views, however the door won't open until 9am so we stayed a little later. Once the balcony opened, we went outside to see the view, and it was fantastic.

I can’t put an higher rating on this experience because as our group showed up to enjoy the most recommended terrace in Chicago (we were visiting and had proper attire for dress code) they basically told us to leave. Plenty of space but none for us. No particular reason, just that they couldn’t serve us…

Mediterranean restaurant
Wine bar
Located in Wicker Park, Chicago, Taxim offers an upscale modern Greek dining experience with a stylish decor and a patio. The cozy Byzantine-style dining room serves seasonal Mediterranean food influenced by chef-owner David Schneider. The menu features regional Greek cuisine and wine from Grecian islands, mountains, and villages. Guests can enjoy small family-style plates or large individual entrees such as Kounoupidi Tiganito and Kolokithokeftedes in this lively rooftop restaurant.
One of the best places in the Wicker Park/Bucktown area for modern Greek food. All dishes are made with fresh ingredients. They source seasonal vegetables from small local growers, and small co-operative Greek products from Greece. We sat on the rooftop, which is wide open with fans mounted to the canopy making it comfortable for hot days. The waitstaff are kind. We ordered a few bottles of Greek wine and an assortment of menu items. Unfortunately, they were out of the Duck Gyro, but we had the following dishes and they were all fantastic. Try the Kounoupidi tiganitó, Halloúmi Saganáki, Kebáp yiaourtloú, Kotópoulo, and Bámies laderés (if you like Okra). The best way to order are a variety of different meals so you can share. Definitely will visit again! Also, parking is a bear from all the new bike lanes so be patient if you are driving, or take an Uber.

This is a great spot for modern Greek food! The patio dining atmosphere was fantastic. Among the dishes we tried, the flatbreads, fried cauliflower, and wild boar with pasta stood out as our favorites.
Bill W — Google review
I had a wonderful rooftop dinner at Taxim. Everything was delicious. My 4 stars is just to improve the duck temperature on the gyros it was a bit too cooked and control some of the salt on the orzo. The tzatziki was my favorite it tasted like labne which I love! The fried cauliflower was delicious but oilier than I liked. The duck gyros were to die for, the pomegranate molasses was a PERFECT touch. The lemon dill pie was incredible as well as the cheese, pastrami, and egg pie. I need to know where they get that pastrami from lol!! Highly recommend the lamb shank, tender and flavorful 10/10! Orzo was delicious but a bit too salty.
Maryam — Google review
Visited this Greek spot with three colleagues for a work meal and sat on the rustic rooftop, which was nice but didn't capture the authentic Greek vibe. The music didn't help set the right tone. We shared a few appetizers--hummus, tzatziki, octopus, lentils, and spinach pastry--as recommended by the server. The hummus and lentils were bland, the tzatziki was good but too small, and the octopus was chewy and lacked flavor. For mains, we had the duck gyro, lamb shank, sea bass, and chicken. Unfortunately, none impressed. The fried duck gyro was greasy, the fish was flavorless, and the chicken was overly oily and salty. Dessert was baklava, but it was underwhelming and forgettable. The service was fine. Having eaten Greek food globally, this place fell well below par. The food lacked seasoning and authenticity, leaving us disappointed despite the pleasant atmosphere.

It was nothing to write home about. This restaurant decided to make tip part of their bill. Each item has a 20% tip added to it (it’s printed on their menu) no matter the size of the party. The place is louder than any train station or airport- even when it cleared out it was echoing. We celebrated my daughter’s birthday (party of 5) we told the waitress, ordered 4 different desserts - not one of them had a candle or sparkler - they forgot… honey with the coffee didn’t come either. Please don’t believe the waitress if she tells you those are all small plates! We ordered 4 dishes, one soup and one small plate (cauliflower) and we finished it and didn’t take anything home. Those are normal portions! The itself food was ok. The chicken soup and roasted cauliflower were most likely the dishes that stood out. The duck was not noticeable in the dish, the skewer very tough meat… one of the worst pita breads ever. it’s a place to try but not something to come back to.
Jana M — Google review
Really like this place!! I've been here so many times and being friends with all the time. They have a really nice atmosphere, super well decorated. They have a heated rooftop area which I've eaten in once. My favorite things to order here are the hummus, souvlakia, and duck gyro. The food is tapas style so it's meant to be shared, which makes it easier to try new things from here. So far I haven't ordered a dish I didn't like.

Twisted Spoke is a popular biker bar and restaurant located in River West, Chicago. It offers a diverse menu featuring burgers, pub grub, and specialty cocktails like the Bloody Mary. The rooftop brunch menu, known as 'Hangover Hospital', is a must-try for foodies and urban explorers. The bar's signature Bloody Mary is spicy and sweet with salami garnish and comes with a beer back.
Chill bar with impressive selection of whiskey and liquors. Delicious spicy bloody Mary’s with beer chaser Wisconsin style- love that. Breakfast burritos are fat, filling and tasty. When I walked in I instantly loved all the cool decor that hung on the walls and from the ceiling. The drink prices are very reasonably priced and strong lol. I recently swung by Twisted Spoke, that biker bar on Ogden Ave, and let me tell you, it's a vibe. The Fatboy burger, stacked with a half-pound of juicy beef and all the fixings, hit the spot. Their buffalo wings, tossed in their signature sauce, were on point, and those cheese curds? Addictive, with a spicy-sweet mustard dip that kept me coming back for more. The Road Rash Mary, a spicy Bloody Mary garnished with salami and a beer chaser, was a game-changer. All in, I spent around $30, and every penny was worth it!

On this day, we stopped in for one of their famous burgers I heard wonderful things about. Well, Wicker Park fest was going on and this place was busier than a hornets nest. The servers were definitely overwhelmed and could not find any menus, so we had to go online, pull them up and order that way. Did I mention Wicker Park Fest? Yeah, cellular service was super sketchy. Anyway, we placed our order and waited patiently for our food to arrive, and it did not disappoint! We ordered the Stuffed burger, and the Smash burger in both were enormous! The ingredients were good quality and fresh, as this was not a gimmicky, cardboard, tasting burger. These burgers were fresh, hot, buttery and very tasty! Their fries are seasoned and also great. We chased them down with a couple of their draft beers and for dessert enjoyed one of their whiskeys. Lol. Overall, we enjoyed our meal, but we need to visit one more time to see if service was off due to the fest or if it needs improvement and to try their loaded fries.

The pathway to the roof was really tight with a lot of people waiting at the bar and tables on the other side. It took a while to make it through the crowd going both ways. They ran out of one of the specialty cocktails pretty early, and it was hard to drink the blood bag cocktail. It seemed like there weren't enough bartenders. That being said, it was a unique experience that was worth going to.

1st time here, it was not busy at all and the service was not good. The food was good not great and the drinks were good. The rooftop was nice and the decor was nice.

Went for the Golden Girls kitchen, it was a fun experience with good food and fun atmosphere. The price was reasonable for the package recieved. The only issue is parking on Milwaukee sucks and you have to pay to park on the street. Take Uber/Lyft or carpool.

Really fun place!! Swiss chalets the best for private and or for Covid safe cosy space. Food is nice bar food type. Hot chocolate bar was unique and appropriate for the occasion. It is an add on cost as the chalet is too. Which is fine. Our family really enjoyed it!! Wicker Park fun spot!!

It's a cute little bar. Rooftop has a nice vibe and it's very colorful, music is great and they have TVs for games and stuff. But the chairs outside are very uncomfortable and since they are metal I would assume they get hot sitting in the sun during summer time. Service is great, they are pretty nice. They card you as soon as you enter. But the drinks are watery and the food was old. They fries were soft and soggy, the nachos were very soggy. Sliders were ok and the dipping sauces were delicious. I definitely wasn't worth it the money that we spent. They also like to keep your tab open so you have to give them a card as soon as you order something. Funny thing, they brought our check in an old CD case. Very unexpected.

I don't know why this place is getting less than a five-star review. Recently went here for a private event and had a great time! We arrived here on a Saturday afternoon at 1pm and the place was packed. The ground floor level was wall-to-wall people and 80% were women. I don't know if there was a bridal party or a special for females at this time, but it was jam packed. Our private event was held upstairs outside on the rooftop patio. Definitely a day party vibe. Our group was under the cute covered Cabanas. They have some cute pillows made to look like stuffed Whiskey Business T-shirts. It's a really nice patio, but very crowded. They had great music playing, and the sound level was perfect for conversations. There were several events going on at the same time. There was a birthday party, a business group, and a large friend's get together, besides our private event. To drink we had a One Touch Too Much cocktail (elijah craig small batch, orgeat (almond), pineapple juice, lime juice and angostura) and my favorite, an Electric Lemonade (big machine vodka, lemonade and blue curacao). Especially refreshing on a hot afternoon. For food we had a plate of delicious shrimp tacos (grilled shrimp with cilantro lime cabbage slaw served on corn tortillas with chipotle crema) and a plate of steak tacos (skirt steak with onions, cilantro and chihuahua cheese on corn tortillas with chipotle crema). The Steak Tacos were really good, but, I thought the Shrimp Tacos were excellent. Check out their Brunch Club on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as their weekly specials. If you want to sit on the patio, I would suggest making a reservation. If you are looking for great drinks and food in a lively atmosphere, head on over to whiskey business!

Brewpub

BiXi Beer is a vibrant and contemporary brewpub nestled in Logan Square, where craft brews and Asian-inspired cuisine come together to create an unforgettable dining experience. The venue boasts a stunning atrium-style dining area that floods with sunlight, but the real gem is its rooftop patio, perfect for basking in the sun while enjoying refreshing house-brewed beers. Guests can indulge in unique dishes like Chicago beef baos or savor the flavors of a togarashi smash burger on fluffy Japanese milk bread.
This is a really cool spot, the atmosphere is very modern. The food flavor was phenomenal. We ordered the rice crepe with pork (which was more fatty than I would have liked, but that’s just a personal preference), gochugaru fries, and the togarashi burger which was surprisingly not “heavy” for a burger. We also ordered the bananas foster for dessert, which was divine!
Natalia P — Google review
Great spot for sharing in a group! Everything we had was amazing and full of flavor. We split the crab rangoons, burger, scallion garlic noodles, fried rice and chicken curry. Everything was tasty but the standout was the burger. Possibly one of the best in Chicago! The scallion garlic noodles also stood out, once mixed it lends itself more towards Mac n cheese on a wide flat noodle. In the best way! Portions are generous and the menu is large with a variety. Absolutely would return!
Elizabeth D — Google review
BiXi is an absolute standout in Chicago. If you like to share food with your friends, this is where you want to go. Our group of 6 got 2-3 plates off each section of the menu along with some sushi and it did not disappoint. The Crab Royale is the most leveled up Crab Rangoon I’ve ever had. Drunken noodles were fantastic and so was every piece of sushi. The vibes are amazing and so was the service. I don’t think we waited more than 2-3 minutes to get our drinks and that alone put me in a good mood. Bonus: They make all of their own noodles in house and brew their own beer. 5/5 across the board.
Josh J — Google review
I came for the amazing atmosphere in the solarium but will be returning because the food was 10/10. The gochugaru fries, scallion garlic noodles (like an Asian adult Mac and cheese, and the Dragon Turtle roll (one of my favorite sushi rolls I’ve ever tried) were all incredible. I’m usually skeptical of expensive cocktails but the tall grass cocktail was worth every penny. Service was fabulous, attentive but not pushing our group to flip the table. Highly recommend for group dinners since many of the plates are shareable.

Char Siu Burger is phenomenal, baked buns are delicious and substantial, and the half rolls are quite large. The upstairs dining area has very nice sky lighting, it's a vibe.

NEW EDIT June 2025: We got married here!! It was an amazing experience that we could not recommend enough. Working closely with their event coordinator, Jordan, for the better part of a year was seamless and easy-going. The day was amazing. If you're planning an event, we highly suggest using BiXi Beer. Old review: We absolutely adore this place. The first time we went we were obsessed with every single dish and the ambience, and it’s only gotten better every time we’ve gone since. We even decided to have our wedding here! The planning process has been very smooth and we are so excited to celebrate at our favorite restaurant!

Came bc we saw the pork belly burger on Tik Tok and it didn't disappoint. Also had green beans and drunken noodles. Everything was great and flavorful!

Came here for a larger group dinner and the experience was great overall. Staff was attentive and offered advice and was really easy to work with. Food was wonderful! Drunken noodles, crab Rangoon, egg rolls, green beans, tteokbokki, curry, kung pao…everything was tasty! They also have an ambitious Susan that you can utilize and rotate plates around making serving easy.

Cocktail bar
Drumbar, located on the 18th floor of the Raffaello Hotel just off the Magnificent Mile in Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood, offers a chic and speakeasy-inspired rooftop bar experience. The focus here is on inventive craft cocktails made with quality liquor. The ambiance is elegant yet informal, providing an oasis to enjoy top-of-the-line seasonal cocktails and lounge in tufted-leather sofas while taking in beautiful scenery.
Cool small to medium sized bar with an old ‘gentleman’s’ lounge feel. Great outdoor patio but arrive early as it looked like they did reserve the larger areas for larger groups (totally understandable). The patio is for the most part on the shaded side which is nice. You can take either elevator up even though the one on the left says that it only goes to 17.
Joe C — Google review
This place was average. Probably good for casual hangout with friends. I was here with a few friends on a Saturday night. We wanted to check out their rooftop. We we're so disappointed. There were no lights, view was zero as it was obstructed by plants. We felt like being inside a room without a roof. Inside was dark as well but relatively better. Drinks were pretty good. They don't serve food. I don't think I would go back again.
Sakthi ( — Google review
Had a great time here voting, tasting and eating at the national cocktail competition sponsored by @remymartinus. Drumbar is located in the Raffaello Hotel Chicago on the 18th floor. The inside decor is very reminiscent of a 1920's speakeasy and the outside rooftop patio area is very comfortable and summer inspired. With a gorgeous wooden bar facing the entrance way, to all of the comfy couches and chairs, this is a wonderful place to grab a superb cocktail and take a look at the gorgeous city views.
Jane V — Google review
I went there for drinks on a Saturday night. The location is elegant, and the atmosphere is nice and informal. Cocktails are very sophisticated - I personally tried the one with passion fruit and it’s amazing - and totally worth their price. I wish they had served some snacks, but they told us they were out of them that night. In spite of this, the place definitely deserves 5 stars.
Mattia B — Google review
Hate to be cliche but the Drumbar rocks!!! I've been visiting Chicago for 30 years and The Drumbar has just become a new favorite place for a nightcap and a great view! The rooftop terrace can't be beat and the tunes can't be beat either! Great atmosphere and super cool bar!

Definitely for a romantic atmosphere. Hidden bar 😎 Great cocktails and good service but slightly overpriced.

Great ambience, music, staff and the drinks were excellent! Unfortunately the weather didn't agree with us and we couldn't sit outside to enjoy the views.

Nice spot... I went during the day with my bestfriend from college. The drinks were good! The outside area seems a little small in my opinion but I had a wonderful time.

Nestled atop The Robey hotel, Cabana Club is a vibrant rooftop bar that perfectly captures the essence of summer in Chicago. This trendy spot, located in the lively Wicker Park neighborhood, offers an inviting indoor-outdoor atmosphere where guests can unwind by a small pool while soaking up breathtaking 180-degree views of the iconic skyline.
Xan made the experience so enjoyable! Yes the atmosphere, food and drink were all great, but her attention to detail to make sure everything was going smoothly for us and the venue significantly added to our experience. Drinks and food are reasonably priced and really good! The place was busy for a Sunday, but lots of space to stand and sit by the pool. The beach chairs and tables are a bit harder to get but not much of a wait. Beautiful location with amazing views.

This place was everything!! From the host to the waitresses, to the bartenders, and even the customers. Everyone who I encountered were so pleasant. The Cabana Club was definitely a vibe. The food was chef’s kiss. The frozen drinks….refreshing and delicious!!!! Can’t forget about the DJ!!! She was awesome!!!!!

Had a blast sunbathing and hanging out here with a friend! The pool is adorable and HEATED. Lots of seating around the pool. Our servers name was Charlie and he made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. The southwest chopped salad was delicious and the drinks were tasty, pretty and strong! Ended up hanging out here for 3 hours. 10/10

One of my favourite bars in the city! I always bring guests visiting me and this Sunday while we’re there, Alissa the DJ played an amazing dayclub set that completely elevated the experience! Love this place and the vibes.
Juliet L — Google review
Great hidden spot with scenic views of downtown and a pool-enhanced ambiance. The music selection was off-putting as they only played covers of popular songs instead of the hits we all know and love. I hope the manager Jose can vary the playlist or perhaps play songs to match the beach / cabana vibe.
Rahul M — Google review
This place was awesome! Drinks are super well priced like an average bar, but the views and experience is awesome. It wasn't crowded at all on Sunday afternoon. We got nice seats and a good view of the skyline. Highly recommend.

6/28/23 Victoria the waitress made it even better. She was very informative and nice. Great Chicago view. Will definitely go back.Fwd….. checked my bank account and additional $30 was tooken out. I called to clarify twice, emailed twice and no response. It’s now July 12th. So I’ll be changing my rating and you should definitely go with cash vs card. My bill was $22 I tipped $10 and was charge additional $30

Very cool place to go grab drinks with friends and catch up. They have a swimming pool and a very nice rooftop view so that’s a plus. The drinks were at reasonable price too! I would recommend anyone that likes rooftop bars! I was there during the sunset and it was incredible! There are also seats inside for you to sit and chill. The interior design is also very chic and elegant!

Mordecai is a stylish and sophisticated drinking spot located near Wrigley Field, offering premium spirits, craft cocktails, and New American cuisine. The space pays homage to Cubs player Mordecai Brown with photographs of his career and a vintage baseball theme. The bar serves as the focal point in an upscale ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating options. The staff provides excellent recommendations for food and cocktail pairings.
We got the burger, orecchiette, and hanger steak. Each one was delicious. In fact, the burger may be the best in Chicago. The whisky selection is vast and respectable. The cocktails are tasty, too Service was very accommodating and the atmosphere is cozy. Would recommend to anyone, whether you're a cubs fan or not

Olivia is really wonderful! She made the whole experience outstanding. With that said, the food and drinks are exceptional. This isn't high-end prices, but high-end quality. I had the corn pasta, the incredibly juicy chicken, the popcorn ice cream, and 2 cocktails. Roughly $130 with tip. Really a must-do if in the area. On top of everything, was a great 80's/90's rock soundtrack!
Daryl N — Google review
Mordecai is cozy and has a suave and sophisticated atmosphere. I ordered the swordfish, which was very tender and delicious, and I had a Concession Cola to accompany the meal, which was refreshing and tasted like Dr. Pepper. The service was also excellent. My friend is vegan and the restaurant didn’t have a specific vegan/vegetarian menu, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate his dietary restrictions.

Note there may not be A/C at the time of ur visit. For some that may not be an issue. Great food already. Definitely get the Bass, pork belly porchetta, wagyu beef tartare. The food was top notch. Atmosphere was good and our waitress was very attentive. Come here for a good meal and cocktails. The duke is a very interesting cocktail and if you’re adventurous definitely order

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mordecai – Chicago, IL Visited: August 3, 2025 First time in Chicago, and Mordecai delivered. Let’s start with the food: the burger was out of this world — simple, but done right. Bacon jam, perfectly cooked patty, and those bacon fat fries? Unreal. I’d come back just for those. But then the spaghetti with Spanish chorizo meatballs showed up and took things to a whole new level. Just… damn. Total game changer. Drinks? Next level. Cocktails are super on point. And yes — they serve Malört with white glove service. Didn’t think that was possible, but they pulled it off and made it fun. Service was top-notch. Big shoutout to Erica, the manager. She found out it was our first time in the city and first Malört experience… so she took a shot with us. Straight-up legend. Vibe is laid back, chill, and steps from Wrigley. No pretension, just good food, good drinks, and good people. Would HIGHLY recommend. No doubt I’ll be back next time I’m in town.
Birdies, C — Google review
We've been going here from when they first open. Food is better than ever. Staff is some of the best we know. Must try in Wrigley for some of the best cocktails and vintage selection of liquors in the city. Highly recommended when visiting Wrigley or any time.

Great neighborhood spot, with super friendly staff. I've had dinner or drinks at this place multiple times and have always enjoyed my experience. The food selection has always been nice, the drinks are some of the best, and the staff is always super friendly. Definitely stop by this place if you are in the neighborhood—it's well worth it.
