Located in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India, the Allahabad Museum is a renowned national-level museum established in 1931. Initially a natural history museum, it has expanded to showcase an impressive collection of stone sculptures, terracottas, coins, archaeological objects and paintings. The museum's galleries feature artifacts from various historical sites such as Mathura, Bhumra, Khajuraho and Gandhara.
I recently visited the Allahabad Museum and had a great experience. It’s a peaceful and well-maintained place full of Indian history, art, and culture. I especially liked the Nehru Gallery and the section related to Bhagat Singh. A must-visit for history lovers in Prayagraj! Take photos was allowed but not videos

This is a great place to visit. But it has so many wings that one can spend some days for those who relish the reminiscences of the Indian freedom fighting as well as Indian historic sculpture and artefacts there are other galleries too including a great library. The pistol of Sri Chandrasekhar is a very interesting exhibit. For school students and not to mention research scholars there is a lot of learning. Average visitors should have a few hours in their hand for visiting this epic museum.
Abhijit M — Google review
The Allahabad Museum is a hidden gem in Prayagraj, especially for history and art lovers. The exhibits are well-organized and cover a wide range of topics—from ancient sculptures and coins to modern Indian art and the freedom movement. One of the highlights is the gallery dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and the personal items of Nehru. The building itself is spacious and surrounded by a beautiful park, offering a peaceful environment. However, the lighting and signage inside could be improved for a better viewing experience. Also, some sections felt a bit outdated and could use better maintenance. Overall, it’s a great place to spend a few hours learning about India’s rich heritage. Highly recommended if you’re in the city!

I went to Amethi(UP)and on my way back to home we had our train from prayagraj, hence I had to kill the layover time and after a very haphazard search on internet i stumbled upon this museum . It was humongous, and was surrounded by a much bigger park . the atmosphere was peaceful and refreshing, people were doing their exercises, running, walking, students coming in groups , hanging out .o Entry to the park costs just ₹10, and the museum ticket is ₹100 — totally worth it! The cleanliness and maintenance of the entire space truly impressed me. The museum itself is a treasure trove of Indian history and culture. I was amazed by the detailed galleries dedicated to the Indian Independence Movement, featuring stories and exhibits on events like the Komagata Maru incident, Bhagat Singh’s martyrdom, the Writer’s Building attack, and a lot more regarding which i attached pictures too. It was both moving and informative. I can't articulate the number of wonders k came across, in distinctively divided sections of the museum containing sculptures , recent archaeological finds, even exhibition of paintings done by people recently. There are also incredible collections of archaeological artefacts, including ancient coins, sculptures, fossils, and beautiful paintings, stamps collection of Older India. The diversity and depth of the exhibits kept me completely engaged, for around one and half hours. Though my visit was unplanned, it ended up becoming the highlight of my journey. If you’re in Prayagraj, even for a few hours, I’d highly recommend visiting the Allahabad Museum, it’s a beautiful blend of history, art, and calm surroundings.

The Allahabad Museum is a must-visit for anyone interested in history, art & crafts, our rich culture and heritage. The Allahabad Museum, situated in the Heartland of Prayagraj within the lush Chandrashekhar Azad Park (also known as Company Garden) is a treasure to India’s rich cultural and historical heritage. Museum is located in the Civil Lines area, is approximately 3 kms from the Prayagraj Railway Station and about 12 kilometers from Prayagraj Airport, making it easily accessible for both local and international visitors. Established in 1931, the museum has evolved into a premier research center for archaeologists, historians, and academicians. It was declared an Institution of National Importance in 1985. Highlights : - Extensive collection of artifacts from ancient Indian civilizations - Well-maintained exhibits and informative labels - Impressive collection of sculptures, paintings, and coins - The gallery dedicated to the Indian freedom struggle is particularly moving - The museum’s library is a valuable resource for researchers and scholars find my articles on Instagram at @that.lazy.traveller Entry fee for Museum : 50/- (mobile photography is allowed but Camera entry costs 100/-) Entry fee for Park : 5/-

I recently visited the Allahabad Museum, and it was an absolute gem of an experience! Nestled in the heart of Prayagraj, this museum is a treasure trove of history, art, and culture. The collection is incredibly diverse, showcasing everything from ancient sculptures and manuscripts to fascinating artifacts from the Gupta and Mughal eras. The Nehru-Gandhi gallery was a personal highlight, offering a captivating glimpse into India’s freedom struggle. Surely, a must visit place in Prayagraj.

Chandrashekhar Azad Park (Company Bagh), the Allahabad Museum stands as a prestigious institution and a brilliant repository of India's glorious past. Established in 1931, it is a must-visit for anyone interested in history, art, and the nation's freedom struggle. The museum’s collection is vast and impressively diverse, spread across approximately 16 galleries. Key highlights include an extensive collection of ancient sculptures and terracotta art from the Ganga-Yamuna valley (especially from Kaushambi and Bharhut), offering a deep look into early Indian art and archaeology. A significant part of the museum is dedicated to modern history. The Gandhi Gallery and the Nehru Personal Collection provide intimate glimpses into the lives of the freedom fighters, featuring rare photographs and original manuscripts. Most famously, the pistol of revolutionary Chandrashekhar Azad is preserved and displayed here, adding an intensely patriotic layer to the visit. The unique collection of 19 paintings by Russian artist Nicholas Roerich also makes this museum internationally notable.

When I visited there, one of the projectors wasn't working since 3 months. They charge good amount of money but maintenance is still not good, That's the case with most of Government properties. Jawahar Planetarium is a great way to introduce yourself as well as your children to the Space. Here you can see how a rocket launch occur, different planets of solar system. Facts about galaxy, satellites, telescope etc are also shown in the show.
Ashish K — Google review
Not in a full working condition but still shows are going on. Rs70 entry. Its all blurry and part of the projector not at all working. Its felt like only paid for AC for 30mins.

This planetarium very good place for picnic and outing with family and small kids. Here, different shows are run at different time intervals. It is of very reasonable price. And it is free on birthday's of nehru family members. U must visit it once, if u are in prayagraj.

It doesn't deserve even a single star. Don't waste your time and money because projector is not working at all. It looks half black and half blur video. You just listen background voice. They paste warning at entry gate and you can also return ticket after purchased tickets.

This place is Best for growing up kids to develop a Astronomical Interest in them,Not too costly only 60₹ for an hour for adults and free of cost for childrens below height 3ft, I would not disclose the fun inside the planetarium but its worth every penny for an hour, its closed on Monday and for other days starts at 10 am for every hour, There is Anand bhawan Museum adjacent to it for which charges are 20₹ for ground floor and 70₹ for both floors.

The Government Public Library located within Chandrashekhar Azad Park in Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad) is one of India’s oldest and most significant public libraries. Established in 1864, it was relocated to its current premises in 1879. The library is housed in the Thornhill Mayne Memorial building, an architectural marvel designed by Richard Roskell Bayne in the Scottish Baronial Revival style, featuring sharp pillars and turrets made of granite and sandstone. The library boasts a vast collection of approximately 125,000 books, including newspapers and magazines in multiple languages such as Hindi, English, Urdu, and Bangla. It also houses 21 Arabic manuscripts and a collection of old government publications, parliamentary papers, and journals dating back to the 19th century. Situated within the historic Chandrashekhar Azad Park, the library is not only a center for knowledge but also a significant tourist attraction due to its rich history and architectural grandeur.

It is also known as Company bagh library. Situated in the middle of Company garden now known as Chandrashekhar Ajad park. Most newspapers and periodicals are available here. Area is lush green and peaceful. This is built under the British rule. The architecture is also inspired by western design of buildings.

The architecture is mind blowing from inside out. The reading area will remind you of the dinning hall of the harry potter movie. They have a very large collection of books and it is nice place for a book lover with just 100/-rs per year membership fees. I am also a member of this library, I was extremely excited when I first visited as every single thing was extremely beautiful, the outer building, intricate stone carvings on the top of pillers, sky rocketing towers, very clean and vast reading hall with a medieval English touch of stain glassed windows and doors and high pointed ceiling. There are catalogue by which you can find the book of you interest. Everything seems good until it came to staff of the library, some of the staff's was very rude and insulting. It seemed to me that they don't want to issue any book beacuse they would have to maintain the record of it. They will even humiliate you if you will visit the library with a opposite gender friend even if you want to do focused study they would disturb you continuously. One they shouted on me and showed the door to go outside just because I was sitting with a friend (male) as we went there to note down some raw material for eassy writing for the upcoming UPPSC mains examination. That day I brust in tears and decided that I will never come to the library, it was a very horrible experience of mine because she (a female staff) was continuously targeting me just because I was with a male person. So I would suggest, go there, take a couple of photos, enjoy the view, and come back. Only take a membership if you are a research scholar and you have no other options than this beautiful library with कामचोर and बदतमीज staff .

I visited Khusro Bagh in Prayagraj yesterday and found it to be a place of great historical significance, though it sadly lacks proper maintenance. Open from sunrise to sunset, this site is a hidden gem that reflects the rich heritage of the Mughal Empire. The tombs inside, especially that of Prince Khusro, son of Emperor Jahangir, showcase stunning Mughal architecture with intricate stonework and design. These structures tell stories from the past and are worth admiring for anyone interested in history and art. However, the garden surrounding these monuments is not well-maintained. Overgrown grass, litter in some corners, and a general sense of neglect take away from the site's potential charm. It's unfortunate that such an important historical site doesn't receive the care it deserves. Despite the condition of the garden, Khusro Bagh remains a peaceful spot with deep cultural value. It could become a top tourist attraction in Prayagraj if properly restored and preserved.

Chandra Shekhar Azad Park in Prayagraj is a beautiful, spacious park with lots of greenery. I enjoyed walking around and just sitting quietly in the calm atmosphere. The historical significance of the place adds to its charm, knowing it’s linked to Chandra Shekhar Azad. Chandra Shekhar Azad Park is not only the green lungs of Prayagraj, offering peace and fresh air amidst the city’s bustle, but also a living monument to India’s freedom struggle. It stands as a symbol of courage and sacrifice, for it was here that the revolutionary Chandra Shekhar Azad made his last stand against British forces in 1931. Every pathway, monument, and memorial within the park reminds visitors of its dual identity — a place of natural beauty and recreation, and a historic landmark that inspires patriotism and keeps alive the memory of those who fought for the nation’s independence.”

This place Is good for kids and adults. Normal day ticket costs only 500/- on weekends ticket cost 600/- , if your kid is under 2 years it free for them, for above it's 350/- I recommend not to eat in canteen because of the hygiene issue and they have very limited items. Second it has saparate toilet for both men & women. But the i think they rearly even clean it, it smells very bad. Overall good for fun.

The water park will win your heart ❤️❤️This place is very nice.😍 This is a great option in Prayagraj to spend your whole day. Place is very good but it required maintenance. Due to lack of maintenance there are amusement park is not working and covered with Wild climbing grass. The slide has cracks in many places and everything is torn. They charge 500 in week while Saturday and Sunday 600. And for the costume they charge extra 60 rs. per person. Because of which you are also at risk of getting hurt while sliding. Very funny and enjoyable place but it needs maintenance and cleaning very badly since long time. It's a beautiful day to enjoy with friends and family members. Fun Gaon has numerous slides to let you pass an entire day, filled with fun and entertainment. The slides include: Wave pool 🌊🌊, Cyclone, Speed slide, Small slide, etc. All that you need to do is, lie down in the pool, have fun, play volleyball with your friends, or anything, and wait for the wave to strike you down! Yes, you get the beach-like feeling. No doubt people spend hours in the Wave pool! Apart from these popular and thrilling slides, this entertainment destination also houses a Rain Dance arena, and various swings.
SíժժհαɾԵհ S — Google review
My experience says, they never clean the pool and do not change the water. A lot of hygiene is required inside the pool and strict follow up of hygiene. Apart from this, my personal experience says; they should ban all types of photography, videography, mobile phones, smart phones, video cameras etc. This will lead to security for women and let them feel safe. Proper satiation is required. Yesterday, I felt the stink/Dirty smell of toilets were all around the nearby toilets. The washrooms needed to be well ventilated and clean.

Located in Naimisaranya, this temple is a popular attraction in Allahabad. It houses shrines dedicated to Lord Hanuman and Lord Shiva within the same complex. Nearby, visitors can also find Chakra Theertham and Panch Prayag. Despite being a resident of Allahabad for 27 years, I recently visited this serene temple during Navratis.
Very nice temple. It's less crowded. Its clean. And God idols are excellent. There is a slight issue that Aarti doesn't happen everyday at the same time due to which it's tricky to attend Aarti.

It's a prominent Shaktipeeth among 51 Shaktipeeths mentioned in Tantra Chudamani. This temple is located in Meerapur, almost on the banks of Sri Yamuna ji in Prayagraj. It's believed that fingers ( Hastangulika ) of Cosmic mother ( Goddess Sati ) had fallen here. During Mahabharata period, the five Pandavas had darshana of Devi Lalita here to get her blessings. A well constructed by them still exists here. This temple in 1950s was renovated by Shri Prabhudatt Brahmachari ji. This temple holds great place in hearts of seekers, especially ones involved in bhakti of Goddess Durga. Bhairva, as guardian of this temple, is situated adjacent to Kashta Haran Hanuman Mandir close to the premises of this temple. Jai Ma Lalita. May your seekers always remain at the receiving end of your Grace!

It's the worst place you can think of visiting to, like a small shop in village just a small pool and nothing else. Ticket costs Rs 300 but it deserves only Rs 50. If you're planning to go there, you should seriously change your plan and go to Fungaon. Staff is truly unprofessional, no one to help you out there, they stop 3,4 items to save electricity, changing rooms are disastrous.

It's simply not worth the ticket cost which is ₹300. The changing rooms are awful with all taps and shower heads broken. Maximum lockers are broken. And ofcourse No costumes available at all. The waterslides are unmanned, which makes our children more prone to injuries and accidents. Water in the pool - dirty. ... So I won't recommend it to families with small children.

While entering in the park , i was immediately greeted by a grand and impressive statue of Rishi Bhardwaj, which sets a unique and serene tone for the entire place. The presence of the statue adds a spiritual and cultural touch that distinguishes it from other typical eateries. It creates a peaceful first impression that carries through the rest of your visit. The overall ambience inside is soothing and welcoming. It’s the kind of place that instantly puts you at ease, whether you’re there for a casual meal or a special occasion. One of the highlights is that it’s an ideal spot for celebrating birthdays, especially among friends. There’s a lively yet comfortable energy in the space that makes celebrations feel special without being overwhelming. What makes this place even more appealing—especially for families—is the large playground area available for children. It’s spacious, safe, and gives kids the freedom to play while the adults enjoy their time. Another notable feature is the wall art inside—some of the designs are done in 3D, which adds a stylish and visually pleasing element to the décor. These textured artworks not only enhance the aesthetics but also give the space a modern, creative vibe that guests are sure to appreciate. It's still good to go with kids even when it's not being managed properly by the management. Inspite of having a decent footfall and income it's mostly neglected. Birds are few with poor keep, many free rides are broken and it seems that there is no plan to change it. But what you get is a paid boat ride gor kids, few other rides for children including a train, a place to have local snacks and cold drink and walking place. Kids will love it no doubt. It's comparatively small.

This park features a clean and safe play zone with swings, slides, and seesaws, making it a favorite among kids. The centerpiece elephant statue is a popular photo spot and climbing attraction. One of the highlights of Hathi Park is its small artificial boating pond. Paddle boats are available at an affordable price, and it’s a relaxing activity for both kids and adults, and are ideal for short, fun rides especially during the evenings. The lush green lawns and shaded areas offer a peaceful vibe. It's a nice spot for morning or evening walks, casual outings, and picnics.

Hathi Park in Prayagraj is a popular destination for families and children, known for its large stone elephant statue, green spaces, and kid-friendly rides and boating. While it offers a peaceful atmosphere with scenic trails and lush greenery, some reviews suggest it can be neglected, with some rides in disrepair and few birds. Visitors can enjoy snacks, beverages, and boat rides, making it a good spot for children, though it's best to visit on weekdays to avoid crowds.

There are many swings for children and canteen where snacks and many other food item are available.. tickets counter is out of the garden. Now some paid swings are also available.. children can also enjoy boating here.. family can enjoy with their children..

Good place for children but not well maintained. There were very few animals. If the place is well developed and maintained it would be much better . ticketing system should be made better .you have to buy ticket for each ride seperately at different place.

The park was clean, hygienic and beautiful when it was new and renovated. But now it is not so appealing. The good part is that it has old trees which gives shelter to birds and shade to humans.

Nestled just 5 km from the bustling Allahabad Railway Station, Minto Park is a serene oasis along the banks of the Yamuna River in Prayagraj. This beautifully maintained park is not only a green retreat but also steeped in history. It was here that Earl Canning announced Queen Victoria's Proclamation in 1858, marking a pivotal moment when control over India shifted from the East India Company to British governance.
Madan Mohan Malaviya Park formerly known as Minto Park, is a park in Prayagraj, India. It is located in the southern part of the city along the banks of Yamuna river. 📍...After independence the marble busts atop the pillar were replaced by the Ashokan Lion Capital and park renamed as Madan Mohan Malaviya Park.

A lot of money was invested in beautifying this park, but poor management and visitors lacking civic sense have left it in disrepair. The lake is dry, paddle boats are rusting, and the statues are broken and dusty. If you live nearby, it's a decent spot for peace or some sports activities. However, don't come from far away expecting a tourist attraction. Ticket Charges: ₹10 There is a canteen inside the park. I haven't tried the food, but most things are available there.
Abhinav Y — Google review
It is a good natural environment to take a morning walk and it is also a historical place where Canning read the proclamation after the revolution of 1857.

Pretty and quite place ro enjoy natural weather. Although it is not well-maintained by Forest department but overall its ok. There is a small restaurant with limited food menu but food is ok. It has historical meaning as the where "Magna Carta " was delivered by Lord minto.

Park is huge. And there are many things which attracts you, specially when you visit here for the first time. Many couples and students comes here. Thing which I didn't like is that place too dirty. People throw plastics and packets of biscuits and wafers, here and there. And there is a fountain (which is doesn't works), near that fountain, algae completely covered water

Maintenance of the park not so good. A small restaurant is inside the park for tea and fast food. Overall a good park in the bank of river yamuna. Tickets rate ₹ 10/=(Per head).
