Nice little chocolate shop. We came in one day to buy some chocolate bars of different flavors. They all sounded so good and interesting. We came back the next day to try the frappes and it as delicious. Better than any milkshake I've had in a long time.

Chocolate is rich and tastes better than most. Makes a great drink but may be a little too rich for some. Service is excellent, not too many seats, assuming it is more of a shop.

This place has been selling chocolate for several years, and it’s clear to see its success, with more locations in Mérida (not sure if there are any outside of Mérida). We were looking for white chocolate-covered almonds, but they no longer offer them. It seems the products change over time. Still, we highly recommend it and would return to try new offerings!

You get a bit of tourist pricing in this area, but the chocolate was generally pretty good, even if we didn't love every variety. They've got many so you're sure to find something you love.

Amazing chocolates. The chocolate frappe was delicious and refreshing and the quality of the chocolate bars come out in the flavors. The traditional hot chocolate with spices and hot water was ok. I originally asked for the hot cocoa with milk, however the staff suggested that the spices may not taste great with milk so I had it the traditional way with water. I saved what I couldn't finish and mixed with milk the next morning and it was actually better with milk for my taste. Unfortunately, you can't taste the chocolate bars in the jars without a minimum order of 100g. I wanted to try the white chocolate and over the course of 3 days, I bought hot cocoa, a frappe, a few hot cocoa bars, and a ton of other bars. It would've been a nice gesture to give us a small taste of the white chocolate but the rules are very firm on the 100g minimum. In any case, the chocolates are worth it. They are delicious!

I was eating dinner next store and saw the sign so I knew I had to stop in. The shop is very cute with the front completely dedicated to everything chocolate from bon bons to chocolate bars to nibs to whatever you can think of. The staff literally welcomes you from the door and they are there to answer any question and help with anything you need. I ended up buying a pre-packaged gift box of chocolates. My only wish is that you could create your own assortments. So far I have tried a couple and they are delicious!! So happy I stumbled onto the shop.

Went to get some to go coffee and breakfast before going towards Uxmal. The service was brilliant and the little cafe had a great atmosphere - if we had had time, I would for sure had come back !! We got to coffees, a concha and a pan de muertos, which apparently only is made during the time of dia de los muertos.

Absolutely fabulous food!! Top notch bakery! And the service is second to none. Despite being crowded, they quickly turned tables to get guests seated. This is one of our favorite breakfast and lunch locations in Merida. No matter where we stay in the city, we will do the walk to eat here at least once while visiting. Great place to start your day with well curated dishes and coffee. Check out their pastries as well. Angel was a great accommodation to service be provided. Try their pork belly please. It’s a very delicious well seasoned pork belly. I love Al pastor and chorizo. The pork belly seemed like a hybrid taste bud cross taste wise. Highly recommend! Thanks Angel. Very nice place. We enjoyed breakfast in the outdoor seating with some quiet music. The bakery comes to you at your seat to choose what you’d like. We thought that was awesome. The service was fantastic and our meal was really good as well.

Sunday mornings have easy, listening music with great musicians… A great shaded patio area for listening to music, relaxing, and chatting with friends. There is also music on Friday, and usually on Saturday mornings. A great place for brunch with friends.

This place was really cute. A large backyard with plenty of fans to stay cool. We got the shepherds pie special which is def one of the best I’ve ever had and I make a mean one myself. The dessert selection was amazing and we chose the crème brûlée

This is such a cozy spot! The inside is super comfy, with great WiFi and AC, perfect for getting some work done. I brought my laptop and felt right at home. The food was really good and made with all organic, natural ingredients, which I loved. Their coffee options are super unique, and they even have non-coffee drinks if that’s more your thing. The pastries were fresh and tasty, and the staff was super friendly. Definitely a new favorite spot!

This is one of the most westernised cafes you’ll find in Mérida. However the space is beautiful and the food is really good! Everyone working there is super helpful. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a nice breakfast with toasts and oats! Nice selection of pastries too

Every time we’re in Mérida, we find ourselves at Pan y Coffee at least twice a week. Their pastries are unbeatable. The croissants are perfectly flaky, and the Pastéis de Belém (a larger version of the Portuguese classic Pastéis de Nata) is an absolute must try, truly to die for! Breakfast is just as good, from flavorful chilaquiles to a delicious American-style breakfast with bacon and sausage. Great coffee, friendly staff, and a cool, relaxed atmosphere make this place a standout. It belongs at the top of your list in Mérida for coffee, pastries, and brunch.

Not only is this cafe beautiful and intimate, but the food and coffee are out-of-this-world good. I’ve already gone multiple times on my trip to Mérida, and nothing has disappointed or fallen short. The staff is also very friendly and willing to assist. A must-visit while here!

Pan & Koffee is the coolest atmosphere with incredible food and the friendliest staff! I came in for the morning and after to do some remote work and get some food and cold drinks. The fresh squeezed guava juice was lovely on such a hot day. The breakfast sandwich had great flavors and was the perfect fuel I needed for my afternoon. And as someone who just wants to have a cool experience at places I visit, this checked all the boxes! The interior design creates the most beautiful, earthy atmosphere, the music is so fun to listen to while you work, and the space is HUGE, allowing you to experience the space from different perspectives. I highly recommend Pan & Koffee!

Staying a week in Merida visiting a friend for work and vacation. With my first time in Merida, Pan and Koffee Cafe has been a daily morning stop for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast pastries are amazing and always a good start to the day. Coffee has been perfect. For lunch the food, all the items I ordered had a great freshness to them. Service has been fast and timely. Would recommend anyone traveling to Merida to stop by and visit for multiple meals! I can't wait to come back to visit.

If you are intending to order an Americano that is bold in strength and smooth, you won't get it here. The expresso used in the coffee is very weak and tastes on the acidic side. There were also many grounds in the bottom of my cup, which you'll see from the image. The service, on the other hand, is good. And the barista was very friendly. When I forget something upon leaving the cafe, he caught up with me on the street to give me the item I left behind. I'm very grateful for him and his kindness. We also enjoyed the little courtyard behind the cafe, which is open concept to the outdoors. The interior sitting area is quite dark and small. Perhaps if you order a specialty drink instead of just coffee, then you won't be as disappointed.

Coffee are well done, quality products, in the heart of el centro, small coffee shop, the design is ok, could be better, considering that most of the restaurants/coffeeshop are all well renovated and modern, but the coffee is perfect so doesnt matter the design inside the shop! I was there on a weekday morning and was surprised that not a lot of people come in. The inside is small with wifi and a few outlets. The service was good. My overall takeaway is that I wasn't impressed but it wasn't bad.

This place is delicious. The pizzandwich is so yummy. The breading can come with or without herbs. It's flaky and thin so you don't get too full on bread. The sauce is flavorful with the perfect amount of red spread onto the bread. The ham and pepperoni is soft and moist enough to bite into without trying to gnaw at it like a dog biting a toy. The coffee I ordered was a dulce de leche caramel/carmelo hot coffee, it can be ordered cold as well. Presentation was appeasing to the eye and no extra sugar needed and usually I like my coffee sweet. There is Wi-Fi inside if needed. Light music plays in the back and there are some books you can read after you order and hang your bag on the little hooks provided next to your seat.

Ok coffee shop. Has a nice vibe going. Coffee ok, from Veracruz. Near plaza, so can wal around. They sell some pastries. You can sit inside and even do some laptop work.

When a beautiful century old building contains a cafe, a great bookstore and a nice gift shop all in the same spot…and a quiet courtyard to contemplate life can be found adjacent to the cafe…well then life is perfect. Very clean washrooms, good food (limited for vegan or vegetarian but very tasty), good service and great coffee. We had breakfast but I suspect lunch or evening snack would be excellent too. Prices on the high side for the portion size/menu choices but venue made it worth it.

The coffee was frankly terrible, particularly for a place that tries to sell the idea of a premium coffee experience. They offer many different options for coffee, but they are just not good. Over extracted, bitter, and slightly acidic. The food however isn't much better. The croque madam i had was a bit bland and the quality of the ingredients just felt poor. The bread however is quite good, if I had to return i would stick to a hot chocolate and a croissant, but i don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.

I came to the cafe for lunch. Not many people inside . I was greeted by a woman behind the bar area, she was very friendly. I was seated and given menus. I ordered chilaquiles which looked good but I didn’t like the meal. chicken was flavorless and cold. The sauce tasted like pasta sauce . I barely ate half. My waiter also wasn’t attentive. Never asked if I needed anything, if I wanted dessert or anything. Just poor service. Wasn’t worth the trip or money.

Nice atmosphere suitable for relaxed conversations as well as concentrated work. Cappuccino was good. Fruit bowl with granola and yogurt was excellent (great variety of fruits and large portion). Fresh orange juice was stretched with water though, therefore lacking the 5th star.

The place is adorable!! Probably the prettiest coffee shop in/around Centro. The coffee & food are both good. The one problem is the WiFi is pretty weak if you want to work. If you just need it to go online for a few minutes it’s fine, but it’s sadly hard to work from this café.

This place has ridiculous prices, at least for their tea. The cappuccino is pretty good, We did not have any food. The coffee served is Illy: decent coffee but nothing like a top quality local roaster. The decor is really lovely. If you want exceptional coffee, there are much better places in town.

You'll wait a little longer than you might be used to in Canada/USA for your coffee, but you're on Merida time here. We'll be indulging a few more times before heading home in a week. Gracias!!

This place look so cute BUT immediately upon sitting down we were met with rules which I attached a picture of. I have lived here for years and this is definitely a first. We can’t speak on food or drinks other than to say it is pricey because we decided to leave. Maybe this cafe is great but I have a feeling a lot of people will be bothered by rules being laid out on the table before you even order anything.

I have come back twice for the coconut piña smoothie and a coffee for the hubby- sooo good. Waffle sandwich not so much. Unfortunately the staff is more interested in their phones each time I have been that I will get my smoothie or coffee to go next time. While your waiting check out the the cool art for sale - paintings, books, jewelry, sculptures- all original and well curated. Plus they have a great selection of sunglasses for sale too!

My husband and I came here for coffee in the morning, I decided on a pastry which was really delicious. My husband had as well, I paid and while he was looking at the menu decided he wanted to have one of their full breakfasts. We had not received our pastries or coffee when he asked if he could change his order. He would have had to pay considerably more, which we were fine with, they refused, that was very disappointing. Both pastries were very good, the coffee was okay. The staff were as a whole very lovely and friendly, but we didn't go back the rest of the week. Still confused as to why say no to more money.

Their food is very delicious with great presentation. I have tried their Avocado mushroom onion toast. Which was very extraordinary. I have tried their frappe and smoothie drink. It was very tasty. It's a great source of energy. The only thing, they can improve is the lack of vegan options. This place is very clean and creative. The staff was very helpful to help me access the restaurant WiFi to open the menu and to decide what option to go for. I would highly recommend this place👍🏽

Nice atmosphere and good food, I tried the Chilaquiles verdes (I was just missing some salsa to add some flavor and spice to it) and the matcha latte. Especially the coffee specialties and the pastries looked good.

Very good selection of delicious drinks and foods! We tried the Montaditos and liked them a lot: not too much cheese and the ham was fresh and tasty. The smoothie bowl was perfect aswell as the cake of the day (with pear). Recommended if you are in Mérida!

Such a nice cafe ! Beautiful patio as well as inside . The paintings on the wall feature local artists and you can even purchase them. Food was amazing. Great pairings of ingredients . Also bought some bagels and a cinnamon roll to take home and they both were so delicious. Will be returning soon!

Adorable gem of a cafe. We walked here from the Monument to the Fatherhood (2 min walk). A mix of locals and tourists sat outside on the patio, a few with friendly leashed dogs ;). We had hot chocolate, seasonal orange basil kombucha on tap, the fried brioche with choc cream/hazlenut, and the fruit bowl (generously sized). Everything was fantastic and reasonably priced. We would go back again if we could.

While strolling along Paseo Montejo, we were simply looking for a place to enjoy a drink and found ourselves drawn to this spot thanks to its inviting shade under a big tree. What started as a casual stop turned into a delightful experience — we ended up having avocado toasts and hummus that were simple yet bursting with flavor. Really great and flavorful coffee with vegan milk alternatives. Also amazing vegan sourdough toasts! The pastries are all freshly made and taste delicious, especially the cinnamon roll. You can also buy a whole sourdough bread here! We also had freshly pressed orange and grapefruit juice, yummy. :) Highly recommended, at least on Sundays is getting fully pretty fast.

I came by taxi at 9am on a Wednesday to get pastries for my friends birthday! Despite there website and google maps saying that they where open the shop was closed. Pleased update your website if you are not open at this time.

Went to see the place by recomedation. And it was big disappointment. Fair to say that came to the place 1 hour before closing, but still wanted to get a chance to try nice bakery , and all what I got was a couple hard, not fresh at all, croissants. Not gonna come back, definetely.

Lovely bread place in Miguel Aleman. They have many kinds of basic bread: baguette, croissant, roll, concha etc. Normally new breads comes out at 8:30-9:00am. Tastes are all really good. Price also resonable. Highly recommand.

My favorite place in Merida for an authentic croissant, they also have savory options which is a nice change from the typical sweet types of bread. Come early, since they run out of certain varieties due to high demand.

Bakery like no other in Merida. Owned by a French individual and his lovely partner who works up front. You always get quality, freshness and smiles. My kryptonite is a baguette and a crossait and boy do they deliver each time. The baqutte is fluffy and crispy made the proper way. The man is a magician when it comes to all other pastries. Each time I drive by I always ensure to pop in for at least one pastry. If you want a change from the big chain bread and want heaven in your mouth then stop reading this and go buy something!

A French bakery with handmade croissants, and breads, by Owner Francois -Xavier, and attended by his lovely wife Salela. The ingredients are fresh, and well sourced. Favorites...? The apple Carre with its wonderful balance of ingredients. The plain croissants, with a coffee is phenomenal, the the chocolate and banana carre is simply hedonistic. Take home a baguette for your cheese, and a loaf of their nutty bread for breakfast toast. Their coffee is wonderful and the perfect accompaniment to the bake goods. Extremely nice people here. I am a tourist in Mérida and today I lost my wallet so, no credit/debit card and no cash. I still have apple pay on my phone and I wanted to try to see if it worked here in Mexico. Unfortunately it didn't, but the staff was very friendly and made me a free coffee and even grilled a sandwich for me! So, I am very grateful for them.

As expected. There's a drive thru, staff is amiable. Perfectly fine choice, but I'd definitely recommend a local coffee shop. They're less expensive and better quality. Kadus on 60 has all of the same coffee options and more plus a super cute sitting area.

Western styled cafe in Mérida. They serve good coffee from México. A lot of options for your beans and methods. When you are tired of Méxican styled coffee, this place will be your good refresher. They have changing spots and strong wife. Worth to visit.

A special place in the heart of Mérida. Very good coffee if you're on a quest and a wide choice for everyone. We also found good bakery stuff. And a nice vibe. Owned by two brothers, they buy the coffee beans directly from Mexican farmers, even small batches. They roast and prepare it with great results. My wife and I came back the day after. The coffee and other drinks are freshly prepared and good in taste. While the atmosphere of quite calm, there is not too much space and depending on the time you come, getting a seat is hard. EVERYTHING HERE IS TOO GOOD. I highly recommend you to try out their classical cold brew and the chicken brocheta. Especially the brocheta… only 140+ pesos for this good combination of creamy yet crispy texture, and the sense of fulfillment after the whole plate. And the service, vibe, price is all very good. I enjoyed breakfast so much at Márago Coffee in centro Merida this morning! Delicious brioche French toast with chocolate banana cream cinnamon and fruit! Miguel, the manager is an amazing kind person. If in the area definitely come here

Where do I start... ordered a french press coffee that tasted like tea was not prepared properly...asked for milk for my coffee that's extra...the cinnamon roll was fantastic after that all the food was terrible...ordered the poached eggs served on a hard biscuit that you needed a knife to cut through it...my girlfriend ordered the egg sandwich with egg whites only came with mushrooms she doesn't like mushrooms...didn't even say sorry or can I redo it...plus were served on the cheapest white bread available...also asked for potatoes instead of salad added extra charge without saying it's extra plus the were covered in paprika and couldn't eat them...servers were not friendly...get your coffee elsewhere!

Food great, atmosphere great, and bought 2 loaves of fantastic foccacia bread. Foccacia is not easy to find in Merida! So this is your place!

The breakfast / coffee shop you want. It has it all: excellent service, cute relaxed environment, internet, super delicious traditional and modern dishes, bread and cookies, and of course good coffee. I loved it so much I went twice.

Amazing food, friendly service and relaxing atmosphere! We had breakfast here many times during our stay in Merida, and it was always perfect. Their omelette is excellent.

Besides the beautiful atmosphere, they have delicious pastries and perfect coffee (I had a latte and cinnamon roll). All food that I saw being served looked delicious and was recommended by a local. The staff was superfriendly, they immediately made me feel very welcome and comfortable. They also have good Wifi, a sign with the password is right behind the counter. Everything is very neat and clean, also the bathroom.

Delicious croissants!! Pictured almond and chocolate. Fruit bowl with yogurt, granola and honey also a delicious option. Lots of drink choices. Lovely front porch and friendly staff.

My favourite hostel of my entire trip! Super clean, friendly staff, the most comfortable bed I had and an amazing atmosphere. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your breakfast and they also organise some activities! the space is super chill and relaxing.

Definitely, it's one of the loveliest hostal I've ever stayed. The staff is amazing and extremely friendly! Comfy beds, hot water, and ac, what else do you need? If you're looking for a warm place that actually makes you feel like home, this has to be the best option

A great little hostel near to downtown, but in a nice quiet area which felt very safe. Beds are really comfy with lights, 2 lockers, plugs and shelves, AC in bedroom was a godsend. Plenty of bathrooms with good showers and nice communal areas, both kept very clean and tidy. The kitchen is really well equipped and the free breakfast is great. Friendly staff and a good vibe!

Perfect location in Merida for visiting the centre (and not far from the airport)!! It’s in a lovely small square a short walk from the cathedral and food places etc. The staff are super helpful and make sure you have everything you need. The rooms are spacious and have 2 lockers each. Bedding and towel provided and help yourself style breakfast included. Have enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to anyone :)

I cannot say enough good things about this hostal. I arrived with the intention of staying a few nights and now it’s four weeks later. The hostal is very pretty, so clean and the beds are heavenly comfortable! But the best thing about it all is the atmosphere. The staff and the volunteers are so nice, it honestly feels like a big shared apartment with friends. There is a nice mix of fun activities and possibilities for party, but still it’s not a party hostel and you can find calm moments and sleep well. Really, come to that hostel, book it now!!!!

Before telling about the place, I need to say the most important reason that I chose to stay in this hostel was the wonderful staff and their customer service from the beginning that I prefer to leave the other hostel with private room reserved and felt more comfortable in mix dorm because being surrounded with kindness and assistance to even use their recommendation to even get my surgery done by their recommended doctor! It mean manager and staff they went above and beyond their service to take care of guest's needs and for me, who worked as a concierge in one of the biggest resorts at Walt Disney World and other great hotels it was absolutely priceless. The hostel is clean, well designed and functional that allows all guests to enjoy their time and be entertained. Great kitchen area with enough space for everyone to cook and enjoying dinning together. Location of hostel is very close to historical city center within walking distance which is also very safe to walk around at anytime. My stay in the hostel was for two days which I extended almost for two weeks and enjoyed every day being there. Thanks again for making my vacation so magical. Cheers and Viva Barrio Vivo!

This is by far my favourite hostel ever. It’s social, friendly, super clean and well appointed. From the second I got there I felt at home. The staff are some of the friendliest and hard working people I have ever encountered, the water is hot, the breakfast is great (and included), decent towels and blankets are provided and I can honestly say there’s not one thing I can fault. There’s a real family vibe to the place and I have to say that pizza night should NOT be missed. Thank you for having me.

Great pastries at amazing prices. Just beware they are not like American pastries as these are on the dry side but they are great with coffee. $2 us for a tray.

Nothing special. A dimly lit open air shop with baked goods. If you are looking for flaky croissants do Not bother stopping here. I don't know what the sweet filling in this pastry was but the honey bees and flies seem to like it.
