Latte Quattro Sette is a charming coffee shop known for its cozy atmosphere and delicious breakfast options. The menu offers a variety of traditional choices, including avocado toast, ham and cheese croissants, muffins, and pains au chocolat. As part of the Oliva group restaurants, it's renowned for serving illy coffee from Italy and freshly baked bread and pastries.
This is a great little cafe in my neighborhood. They have good coffee and I usually get the yogurt bowl with fruit. It's always consistently delicious and fresh. The atmosphere reminds me of a small european cafe.
Jessica B — Google review
Nice atmosphere suitable for relaxed conversations as well as concentrated work. Cappuccino was good. Fruit bowl with granola and yogurt was excellent (great variety of fruits and large portion). Fresh orange juice was stretched with water though, therefore lacking the 5th star.
P N — Google review
The place is adorable!! Probably the prettiest coffee shop in/around Centro. The coffee & food are both good. The one problem is the WiFi is pretty weak if you want to work. If you just need it to go online for a few minutes it’s fine, but it’s sadly hard to work from this café.
Shelley M — Google review
This place has ridiculous prices, at least for their tea. The cappuccino is pretty good, We did not have any food. The coffee served is Illy: decent coffee but nothing like a top quality local roaster. The decor is really lovely. If you want exceptional coffee, there are much better places in town.
Erik M — Google review
Beautiful decor, friendly service, delicious coffee. Nice blend of local and tourist customers while we were there. You'll wait a little longer than you might be used to in Canada/USA for your coffee, but you're on Merida time here. We'll be indulging a few more times before heading home in a week. Gracias!!
Sarah P — Google review
This place look so cute BUT immediately upon sitting down we were met with rules which I attached a picture of. I have lived here for years and this is definitely a first. We can’t speak on food or drinks other than to say it is pricey because we decided to leave. Maybe this cafe is great but I have a feeling a lot of people will be bothered by rules being laid out on the table before you even order anything.
Amoya S — Google review
Very nice breakfast & best cappuccino I have so far in Mexico. The bowl with fruit & granola was so good!

A beautiful little coffee shop. Nicely decorated. Super clean and with great service. There are also healthy options for breakfast!

Rosas & Xocolate Boutique Hotel + SPA is a luxurious hotel located in the Paseo Montejo area of Merida, combining two stunning French-style mansions to create a unique accommodation experience. The rooms feature elegant decor with high ceilings, wooden furnishings, and modern amenities such as outdoor jacuzzis, BOSE sound systems, and flat-screen TVs.
I got the Deluxe Exfoliation package with a relaxing massage at the Spa and it was one of the best massages I have ever had. Tonia was amazing. She asked questions about my problem areas and really paid special attention to them. Overall, it was an amazing experience because of Tonia!

If you can avoid this place do it, they advertise free parking not parking at all, you need to park on the street at your own risk. They advertise luxury boutique not true, we tried to go to the upper terrace the bar was in terrible conditions. Excellent staff good breakfast, good location.
Gabriela C — Google review
Thank you for a lovely stay at Rosas y Xocolate. Our room was right next to the pool which felt like a real treat, as we could enjoy the peaceful atmosphere just off the bustle of the Main Street. Even though there were 3 of us in the room it felt like there was plenty of space, with a separate bedroom and lounge. The staff were friendly and attentive, and patient with me trying to practise my Spanish. We really enjoyed the complementary breakfast, including a hot drink, juice, pastry, and an option from the extensive menu. I would particularly recommend the smoked salmon bagel. The location was perfect, about a 20 minute walk to the main square but lots to see closer too. This was a perfect start to our trip across the peninsula and would recommend Rosas to anyone considering a trip to Merida.
Lynsey B — Google review
My stay at Rosas & Xocolate Boutique Hotel and Spa in Mérida was a delightful experience that left a lasting impression, thanks to its unique charm and warm hospitality. Nestled in the heart of Mérida, this boutique hotel stands out with its breathtaking architecture and distinctive style. The fusion of colonial elegance with bold pink and chocolate-hued accents creates a visually striking ambiance that feels both luxurious and whimsical. Every corner of the property, from the lush courtyard to the meticulously designed rooms, showcases a thoughtful blend of modern sophistication and Yucatecan heritage. The attention to detail in the decor—think vibrant tiles, artisanal touches, and elegant furnishings—makes it a haven for anyone who appreciates aesthetic excellence. The staff at Rosas & Xocolate deserves high praise for their friendliness and professionalism. From the moment I arrived, they were welcoming, attentive, and eager to ensure my stay was comfortable. Whether it was offering recommendations for exploring Mérida’s vibrant cultural scene or accommodating special requests, their service added a personal touch that elevated the entire experience. The on-site amenities, including the spa and the restaurant, further enhanced my stay. The restaurant, in particular, served up delicious dishes that beautifully blended local flavors with a gourmet twist, making every meal a treat. However, there was one peculiar aspect of my stay that stood out for the wrong reasons: the hotel’s deposit policy. Upon checking in, they charge a deposit, which is fairly standard, but by the end of the stay, they retain a single cent from the refund. This practice felt odd and unnecessary, and it’s something I haven’t encountered at any other hotel I’ve stayed at worldwide. While it’s a minor amount and didn’t significantly detract from the experience, it left me puzzled and slightly annoyed, as it seemed like an unusual quirk for an otherwise polished establishment.Overall, Rosas & Xocolate is a fantastic choice for travelers seeking a boutique hotel with character, style, and heart in Mérida. The stunning architecture, exceptional staff, and unique vibe make it a standout. If you can overlook the odd deposit practice, this hotel is well worth a visit for a memorable stay in the Yucatán. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a blend of luxury and local charm!

This is a really charming hotel in a renovated mansion on a beautiful avenue. I stayed in the master suite - it was bright and airy, had massively high ceilings, was comfortable and spotless. (I did get an upgrade and for those of you with Bonvoy status, the staff did a great job of recognizing and valuing me throughout my weeklong stay. They were helpful, courteous and attentive) Crisiant, the Sales Manager, was particularly helpful. He contacted me promptly after my booking to assist with spa appointments and suggesting and arranging excursions. His assistance was valuable in planning my visit, as I had done little to no research before booking. The hotel's location is convenient for exploring the city. Paseo de Montejo is beautiful, offered a good base for walking to many city attractions and experiencing the local area. There are so many really good restaurants and shops in easy walking distance. It's a really great choice for a more than comfortable stay in Mérida.
Danielle B — Google review
I came for the food and dispute all of the less than 5 star reviews, I still went. I have to say the food was fantastic!! I got the Eggs Benedict and the chef did not disappoint!!! From the perfect hollandaise and poached egg to the mimosa...Fantastic!! The service was also top shelf. I was afraid to try the coffee because of all the bad reviewers who complained about the coffee, food and service but I'll definitely try it the next time I go back. If the coffee is the only thing that some people gave bad reviews, I'll skip it!
Rodney H — Google review
We always stop by here to get their pear salad. The other food was very good as well.
Terry B — Google review
I've always had a rather ambivalent regard for the Pet Shop Boys. Whilst their tunes are undeniably catchy their lyrics often humorous and clever they are equally often let down by a rather laboured rhyme or a clichéd phrase. However, I've often found myself quoting the line from the song Left to My Own Devices that states "...learn to ignore what the photographer saw" and that's what you need to do at Rosas and Xocolate. Rarely has a website been so misleading. See photos. There certainly aren't any Roses and no Chocolate either 😕 😄 But let's start with the positives. The hotel staff are accommodating and polite (special mention for the breakfast server Sophie) with a comprehensive breakfast menu of decent quality and the location is very good. That's it. Now the reasons I wouldn't return. In general the hotel is unloved and poorly maintained. On arrival, the lobby had a large broken glass candle holder, the corridor had dirty glasses on the floor that remained untouched for over 24 hours and our room (the Master Suite) was tired and inadequately maintained. On arrival, the power shorted, the toilet leaked (this was fixed) the coffee maker didn't work (this too was fixed - but by turning off the refrigerator) and the bed linen faded and poor quality. The breakfast courtyard was dirty and unswept and the windows generally needed a good clean. The overall feel was one of decline and neglect which is unforgiveable in any establishment but given the prices being charged it almost amounts to theft. Read my other reviews; you'll see I'm not given to unnecessary criticism nor over reaction to a single incident of  bad service. There's another lyric from the Pet Shop Boys song Shopping that goes "...our gain is your loss, that's the price you pay". This might just sum up the Rosas and Xocolate experience. P.S. I'm honestly not a big Pet Shop Boys fan.

Nestled just a few blocks north of Parque Santa Ana, Pan & Køf.feé is the perfect spot to kickstart your day with a delightful breakfast. This charming bakery and coffee house boasts an inviting ambiance, featuring updated colonial decor complemented by contemporary elements like a sleek steel staircase leading to additional seating on the second floor. The spacious dining areas—both upstairs and downstairs—are adorned with stunning interior design that encourages you to relax while savoring freshly baked pastries or enjoying a cup of coffee.
We visited this cafe twice. It was amazing! The vibes are super nice and so is the staff. The coffee, especially the Mocha was really good. A must try here! We chatted a little with the owner who was in-house that day and she was very friendly. It’s a great place to come if you need to take some time off the Merida heat. There is also free wifi in case you want to work or just kill time.

This is such a cozy spot! The inside is super comfy, with great WiFi and AC, perfect for getting some work done. I brought my laptop and felt right at home. The food was really good and made with all organic, natural ingredients, which I loved. Their coffee options are super unique, and they even have non-coffee drinks if that’s more your thing. The pastries were fresh and tasty, and the staff was super friendly. Definitely a new favorite spot!
Donaji B — Google review
This is one of the most westernised cafes you’ll find in Mérida. However the space is beautiful and the food is really good! Everyone working there is super helpful. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a nice breakfast with toasts and oats! Nice selection of pastries too
Magda — Google review
Every time we’re in Mérida, we find ourselves at Pan y Coffee at least twice a week. Their pastries are unbeatable. The croissants are perfectly flaky, and the Pastéis de Belém (a larger version of the Portuguese classic Pastéis de Nata) is an absolute must try, truly to die for! Breakfast is just as good, from flavorful chilaquiles to a delicious American-style breakfast with bacon and sausage. Great coffee, friendly staff, and a cool, relaxed atmosphere make this place a standout. It belongs at the top of your list in Mérida for coffee, pastries, and brunch.
Deena L — Google review
Not only is this cafe beautiful and intimate, but the food and coffee are out-of-this-world good. I’ve already gone multiple times on my trip to Mérida, and nothing has disappointed or fallen short. The staff is also very friendly and willing to assist. A must-visit while here!
Aurora F — Google review
Pan & Koffee is the coolest atmosphere with incredible food and the friendliest staff! I came in for the morning and after to do some remote work and get some food and cold drinks. The fresh squeezed guava juice was lovely on such a hot day. The breakfast sandwich had great flavors and was the perfect fuel I needed for my afternoon. And as someone who just wants to have a cool experience at places I visit, this checked all the boxes! The interior design creates the most beautiful, earthy atmosphere, the music is so fun to listen to while you work, and the space is HUGE, allowing you to experience the space from different perspectives. I highly recommend Pan & Koffee!

Went for breakfast on a Monday and it was delicious! This is one of my favorite restaurants in Merida. Great food and bread 🍞 I got the veggies omelette - it was amazing! Love the atmosphere as well 🪴

Staying a week in Merida visiting a friend for work and vacation. With my first time in Merida, Pan and Koffee Cafe has been a daily morning stop for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast pastries are amazing and always a good start to the day. Coffee has been perfect. For lunch the food, all the items I ordered had a great freshness to them. Service has been fast and timely. Would recommend anyone traveling to Merida to stop by and visit for multiple meals! I can't wait to come back to visit.

PETIT DÉLICE is a slice of France in Merida, offering exquisite pastries made with classic French techniques by Chef Celine and her team. The menu includes French toasts, sandwiches, soups, omelettes, and freshly baked bread. Located in Victory Plaza, this authentic European bakery provides a stylish atmosphere for enjoying great coffee and wonderful pastries.
Oswaldo served us today, he was so kind and friendly. Been here several times and every dish that I’ve tried is extremely delicious and you can actually taste the quality of the ingredients, the bread and pasties are freshly baked in the restaurant, they are so good as well, highly recommended!

First timer here. I looked up "creme brulee" and this place popped up. Delicious, great atmosphere, and the server was very nice and helpful. I definitely recommend this place. Feels like a peaceful french gem in the middle of a busy city. Loved it.
David T — Google review
The food was good, not spectacular, but good. We chose brunch options from the menu for our meal. Their display cases had some really beautiful looking pastries, although I didn't try them, I was full from brunch. But if I require fancy pastry again I will certainly go back to this place to try them out!! Most of the staff were very pleasant and friendly, but it needs to be said that the main waiter we had came with a high degree of attitude and it made me feel uncomfortable. We dined indoors to enjoy the air conditioning, but they also have a lovely terrace for less "intense" Merida days!

A group of us went for lunch, the food was good, staff attentive and all wore masks (?). Vegan dish was accompanied nicely with substitutes for one of us. Fine time

Cool place with really nice pastries. Amazing bread and cute vibe. Staff is really nice and the best thing is that they have a really fast service. My sister tried to use the wifi for work stuff but it was too slow so don’t come for work and just for brunch or coffee.

We actually love this place, food was delicious, the place is really nice looking, fast service i would like the waiter to check on tables to make sure everything is how supposed to be (my order was incomplete, it was still pretty good though) also just a personal opinion: it doesn't look good for them to be washing dishes in front of customers, restaurant is to nice to do that right there. Overall great place to eat good experience and i will definitely recommend it and i will definitely be going back again!

Voltacafé Altabrisa is a relaxed all-day hangout with floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a variety of pastries and global snacks. The café provides indoor and outdoor seating, creating a cozy ambiance for patrons to enjoy their drinks and meals. Whether you're in the mood for an exquisite hot coffee or a refreshing cold brew, Voltacafé has an extensive menu to cater to your preferences.
Great place, nicely located and good coffee. Both inside and outside seating areas are great and spacious. I went for a cold brew coffee and it definitely was a great choice. The espresso was great in taste as well and the staff was helpful. As for the food, it was freshly prepared and really delicious. The only thing I did not like too much was the amount of chicken inside the soup. As for the pricing, it’s adequate for what you get, not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive place.

Great food and great service. Had breakfast of pan de chocolate and breakfast burrito. Pan de chocolate was still warm.

Today we ordered from the lunch special (1-4). The chicken burrito was very tasty. Chicken, mushrooms, avocado and onions. It came with a drink and a coffee/tea and a delicious mini-dessert. A very satisfying lunch.

When a beautiful century old building contains a cafe, a great bookstore and a nice gift shop all in the same spot…and a quiet courtyard to contemplate life can be found adjacent to the cafe…well then life is perfect. Very clean washrooms, good food (limited for vegan or vegetarian but very tasty), good service and great coffee. We had breakfast but I suspect lunch or evening snack would be excellent too. Prices on the high side for the portion size/menu choices but venue made it worth it.
Ricardo — Google review
Nice ambiance. Good place for lunch and good service. Had their house salad with salmon and a Mango Lasy drink (more like a smoothie). I enjoyed both.
Ed F — Google review
The Interior is fancy but it was too loud to drink&eat inside. The sound of the space resonates too much. Coffee was okay and looked like a more brunch place.
Girina K — Google review
The coffee was frankly terrible, particularly for a place that tries to sell the idea of a premium coffee experience. They offer many different options for coffee, but they are just not good. Over extracted, bitter, and slightly acidic. The food however isn't much better. The croque madam i had was a bit bland and the quality of the ingredients just felt poor. The bread however is quite good, if I had to return i would stick to a hot chocolate and a croissant, but i don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.
Christina ( — Google review
I came to the cafe for lunch. Not many people inside . I was greeted by a woman behind the bar area, she was very friendly. I was seated and given menus. I ordered chilaquiles which looked good but I didn’t like the meal. chicken was flavorless and cold. The sauce tasted like pasta sauce . I barely ate half. My waiter also wasn’t attentive. Never asked if I needed anything, if I wanted dessert or anything. Just poor service. Wasn’t worth the trip or money.

The establishment also offers an array of French-style pastries and artisanal breads that are perfect for take-away or enjoying on-site with freshly-brewed coffee.
I saw pics of this place. Stopped by for a loaf of bread and ended up enjoying one of their pastries and cold drinks. The chocolate-mamey will be one of my memorable treats in Mérida. Flakey, creamy, not too sweet, … I could go on. Need t come earlier to try more treats!!

Absolutely fabulous food!! Top notch bakery! And the service is second to none. Despite being crowded, they quickly turned tables to get guests seated. This is one of our favorite breakfast and lunch locations in Merida. No matter where we stay in the city, we will do the walk to eat here at least once while visiting. And do not miss on the fresh baked goods while here.

Really enjoy going to Starbucks in different countries. The food choices are different and I have loved the food outside of the US. All the employees were really nice and efficient, drinks tasted great and the store was clean. Chocolate donut was amazing!

Like a Hilton Curio Hotel, this Starbucks is housed in a beautiful and historic house on Paseo Montejo, and has lots of seating; outside and in two rooms on the second floor. Staff are friendly and very efficient. Apple Pay is accepted. Wonderful spot for coffee!

One of the cutest Starbucks I’ve ever been to. I loved the space… I loved the outdoor space which is pretty cool and makes it really nice. I also liked the different common spaces inside with AC. It is always packed :( but generally speaking, it’s a very nice place in a great location. This Starbucks has parking 🅿️
Diego P — Google review
I recently visited the Starbucks located in one of the most touristic areas of Mérida, Yucatán, and I was extremely disappointed. Despite its prime location, the place was shockingly dirty and clearly neglected. Tables were sticky, trash was left on the floors, and the restrooms were in terrible condition. For a café in such a prominent spot, you would expect better standards of cleanliness and maintenance. It’s unfortunate that such a well-known brand isn’t keeping up with basic hygiene in a city that welcomes so many visitors. Definitely not a good representation of Mérida’s charm.
Ernesto W — Google review
I came at 8pm on a Tuesday and the patio was packed, inside was packed! It was my first time here and just wanted to grab a quick bite. It seemed a very social place (friends to come and hang out). The service wasn’t the fastest but they were also very busy. Nice and polite staff. Perfect wrap. No complaints.
Jessy — Google review
Really cool location in a large colonial style house. First Starbucks I've been to with valet parking which made me laugh but it is a busy street. It stays open late which is nice. They have indoor seating upstairs or outdoor seating in a large patio.
Fiorella C — Google review
This is the slowest Starbucks ever, mostly because the person working both times I visited was busy talking to her friends or hugging her workmates. She also messed up my order. One visit it was a 25 minute wait to get my coffee.
Alison S — Google review
Lovely Starbucks Villa overlooking the main street of P de Montejo. They offer both outside settings outside and inside and a drive behind the villa to park your car in a large parking lot. Me coming from Dubai I get to discover new flavors of what Sta Mexico has to offer and I have to say the Coco Avellana Machiato is so good! Definitely recommend that and for a morning or afternoon bite Definitely recommend the Baguette Espanola. Expect some que in the mornings, so if you're in a rush try to head abit earlier.

Huniik is a renowned restaurant located in the heart of Centro, across from Santa Ana Park in Merida. The chef, Roberto Solis, has an impressive culinary background and has made a name for himself with his innovative Yucatecan cuisine. The restaurant features a sleek design with art and decoration by artist Jorge Pardo. Guests can enjoy an immersive dining experience as they observe the open kitchen and indulge in a tasting menu that showcases elevated local dishes.
Wow this is top meal of all time kind of experience from start to finish. This chef deserves a Michelin or James Beard nominee. We tried so many new foods and food so many inventive ways - kudos to the Huniik team for an incredible evening of food and drink and memories. 12 courses, wine paring option - say yes. You can watch the food being made and plated and they truly love what they do and care about the food. Incredible. Thank you. Outstanding from the salad course to the lamb to tuna to trying crickets to tequila to natural Mexican wines and a sake and sea bass and tomatoes and so much more - WOW.

Huniik delivers an extraordinary dining experience that’s a true gem in Mérida. The service was impeccable—warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate. The wine pairings were thoughtfully curated, and the standout was the unexpected delight of a Mexican sake, which added a unique twist to the evening. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor, showcasing the chef's artistry. If you’re in Mérida and looking for a memorable culinary adventure, Huniik is a must.

Interesting, but over hyped/prived experience. Pomp above all. Most dishes average to disappointing. Better options in town for much less than half the price. Try Hochol and you will be very pleased for less than half.
Pedro J — Google review
The food really isn’t that good, actually. Some of it too far on the experimental side and doesn’t make sense and really not worth the price, I’m a bit surprised it made a top 50 list. The thing that really baffled me is the wine menu. Like, unhinged and outrageous prices for what is pretty bad wine.
Jason N — Google review
An exceptional dining experience. Huniik delivers refined, contemporary Yucatecan cuisine rooted in tradition yet presented with creativity and precision. The service was attentive, the atmosphere intimate, and the tasting menu was thoughtfully curated. Each dish demonstrated technical excellence and a deep respect for local ingredients. Highly recommended for those seeking culinary depth and cultural authenticity. Just watch out for the expensive water that they keep topping up.
Esteban M — Google review
This was a mixed bag. After having recently been awarded a place on the 50 Best List we had high hopes. The advertised 10 course menu (this includes Amouse bouche, no Amouse-Gueule) features a variety of local dishes which for the chef encapsulates the Yucatán pensiula. Unfortunately for us we felt that some dishes (especially at the start of the menu) were very bland/ under-seasoned. For example the tomato dish had no depth and did not celebrate the food item. On the other hand the squid carpaccio with sauce left nothing of the squid itself as it was far too overpowering. We also opted for the wine paring. Here we received 5 mexican wines with barely any information about the vineyard out the vine iteself. There was also no explanation on why it was paired with a certain dish. Some dishes had no wine paired with them at all, while some did. What is a nice touch is that you can at all times approach the kitchen and talk to the staff. Overall in our opinion this evening was not worth what was summed up on the total bill. A real shame for us as we had high hopes.
Nick F — Google review
This is a review of the taco bar (La Barra de Huniik), that is adjacent to Huniik. This place is incredible, and a must try if you are in Merida. The concept is inspired by Japanese omakase, and celebrates corn and Yucatecan ingredients. You can either pick which tacos you want, or let the chef decide. I originally was going to get 4 tacos, but the food was so good I changed to 6. I had the fish taco, tomato huarache, beef taco, venison panucho, duck sope, and honey masa. The staff are so kind, creative and talented. Make a reservation and go here!!

Huniik was an amazing experience from the delicious food, attentive service, and all around unique atmosphere. From Mauricio the GM who made sure everything was perfect to all of the chefs that came over to explain the food, we left our meal completely satiated in belly and mind. They even accommodated for some dietary restrictions I had but brought my husband a taste of a course he missed due to my restriction! That simple additional touch shows how much they care about their patrons and wanting you to experience the food. Thank you for a wonderful last night in Merida! A must visit for all!

Estación 72 is a charming coffee shop and gift store that may not catch your eye from the outside, but it's a hidden gem known for serving some of the finest Mexican coffee in town. The cappuccinos, mochas, and lattes are bursting with rich flavors and are served in an eclectic mix of mugs. In addition to their delightful beverages, they offer a variety of sandwiches, snacks, and oversized freshly baked cinnamon rolls.
Very nice place with art and other items to purchases. Cute t shirts, sun glasses, scarves and bags. The coffee was nice. Really enjoyed it here and will be back again.

I have come back twice for the coconut piña smoothie and a coffee for the hubby- sooo good. Waffle sandwich not so much. Unfortunately the staff is more interested in their phones each time I have been that I will get my smoothie or coffee to go next time. While your waiting check out the the cool art for sale - paintings, books, jewelry, sculptures- all original and well curated. Plus they have a great selection of sunglasses for sale too!

My husband and I came here for coffee in the morning, I decided on a pastry which was really delicious. My husband had as well, I paid and while he was looking at the menu decided he wanted to have one of their full breakfasts. We had not received our pastries or coffee when he asked if he could change his order. He would have had to pay considerably more, which we were fine with, they refused, that was very disappointing. Both pastries were very good, the coffee was okay. The staff were as a whole very lovely and friendly, but we didn't go back the rest of the week. Still confused as to why say no to more money.

Their food is very delicious with great presentation. I have tried their Avocado mushroom onion toast. Which was very extraordinary. I have tried their frappe and smoothie drink. It was very tasty. It's a great source of energy. The only thing, they can improve is the lack of vegan options. This place is very clean and creative. The staff was very helpful to help me access the restaurant WiFi to open the menu and to decide what option to go for. I would highly recommend this place👍🏽

Café Cafico is a delightful gem located near Parque Santa Ana, perfect for those on the hunt for takeaway coffee. This charming spot not only serves exceptional brews but also roasts its own beans sourced from Mexico, particularly Veracruz. The passionate staff truly elevate the experience, ensuring each cup reflects their love for coffee. I indulged in a refreshing frappé that beautifully showcased the rich flavors of espresso without being overpowered by ice or milk.
The aroma of beans roasting spill into the street. I was drawn in and definitely not disappointed. Excellent espresso. Grab a coffee go for a walk in the area bc there's almost no seating. As someone who considers themself to be something of a coffee connoisseur, I will say that this is excellent coffee.

I visited this place at noon because I was in the mood for a coffee. I ordered a coffee and asked for a glass of water to go with my drink. In every café around the world, it’s common knowledge that coffee should be served with a glass of water, especially in a city as hot as hell as Mérida. The girl at the counter told me that if I wanted water, I had to buy a bottle. I told her it wasn’t about the money, but as a courtesy, they should serve it. I also tried to buy a bag of ground coffee and pay by card, but the machine wasn’t working. I ended up without having my coffee, without drinking water, and without taking any coffee home. I do not recommend this place at all. Not unless they understand that water is a human right and not a commodity.
Yolanda L — Google review
We have gone to enough cafes and roasteries enough to sense the passion from their products and their staff. This place has terrific staff who loves their coffee. We ordered a frap at 50mxp as we needed something to cool off. Even when it is a frap we can taste the coffee and espresso used to make it and was not overwhelmed by the ice and milk. Wifi is strong, Eloisa took the time to talk to us and prepare the drink to our liking. We happen to be there on a Saturday when they are roasting so the place is filled with coffee aroma.

Fundación de Artistas is a non-profit organization located in the city center, housed in a traditional 19th-century home. It was established to create an arts center in the Yucatan Peninsula, providing a platform for artists of all disciplines to exhibit their original work and promoting art education through community-based initiatives. The foundation hosts contemporary exhibitions and cultural events, making it a hidden gem among Merida's museums.
Coming from the desolate streets of an abandoned Merida (Christmas day...), we entered in this marvelous patio, astonishing. Everything else remains outside, take a seat and relax tasting chocolate, coffee and sweets from cafeteria, then walk around and enjoy a fine shop and art exposition.

Try to get in couple days. on Sunday finally when we got in and wanted to see the clothing, there was not even light to see them and the person was not intersested to help us with anything. Otherwise it's a beautiful place and I always bring my guests there to by parfum and clothing. This time my friend had to go back to the airport so no business done.

Beautiful old house with art and coffee. Excellent pianist Seth Montfort plays there... One of the Merida oddities; concerto level music for whoever happens to walk by.
Temo T — Google review
Discovered Fundación de Artistes by chance as I walked past the building. Intrigued, I backed up and ventured inside. Unfortunately, it this happened on the last day of my three month visit in Mérida. All the same, that afternoon I relaxed in the shade of the interior courtyard and enjoyed a cup of coffee in a chair so comfortable, I hesitated to sit on, concerned that I might not be willing to leave it. I had been advised by a patron that the pianist, Seth [Monfort], was very talented, would be arriving soon, and well worth my wait. Excellent advice! I enjoyed every note and his amusing anecdotes. It pained me to leave. On my way out I peered into various rooms and it was obvious that the Fundación de Artistes had even more to offer. Been looking forward to my next visit to the Foundation since I first settled into that chair, coffee in hand! It's at the top of my To-Do list when I return to Mérida later this year.

Yaretzy M — Google review
My wife picked this little coffee shop during our visit to this area of Mérida in October 2022. The brand of coffee that they use to make a hot Americano coffee seemed to be a medium roast. If you like medium roasted breakfast coffee this is your place. The menu selection is good for a small coffee shop. I ordered the waffle that is pictured and thought it tasted fairly good. For a small coffee shop that is in an area that has lots of international customers I expected the staff to be more relaxed and outgoing. I am not saying they should have been dancing on the tables or bending over backwards to provide service to us, but I will say that language barriers are going to happen and don’t be so nervous when helping someone that doesn’t speak the language. Think of helping in the same manner as you would a deaf person. Lastly, to the restaurant owners, please understand that when travelers ask for the bill it is not right for someone to calculate what was served in their head and give a price. When I go to a restaurant and request the bill I actually would like a bill that shows a breakdown of each item I ordered and the total. This allows me an opportunity to calculate a proper tip for the servers. In conclusion the food and coffee were good and with a little improvement in the aforementioned areas this could be a five (5) star establishment.

Nestled within the charming Plaza Carmesi on Calle 53, Voltacafé Santa Lucía is a delightful oasis that combines a serene garden atmosphere with an inviting interior courtyard. This café is perfect for digital nomads seeking a peaceful spot to work, thanks to its lush greenery and shaded outdoor seating.
Went to this place spontaneously for breakfast and was very pleased. The flavoured cappuccino (cold) was refreshing. Also loved the tutti. It was sweet enough to go well with our beverages but not overpowering. And it seemed to be a local pastry. The chili pitta was good- not too spicy and quite eggy. While the avocado "toast" was fresh and delicious - with the bread being quite different to what one may be used to. Vicente was a lovely waiter and accommodated our questions in English as much as he could. They also have Wi-Fi and a decent restroom.

Coqui Coqui Mérida is a chic and luxurious hotel that appeals to fashion and design enthusiasts. The vintage furnishings, including gilded chandeliers and claw-foot bathtubs, exude opulence without being excessive. Guests can even select a signature scent for their room from the on-site perfumery. The hotel offers only one incredibly lavish room with a private dipping pool and two freestanding bathtubs, providing a truly unique and elegant experience.
It was so perfect. The room feels so exclusive and private, you feel like royalty in the suite. For breakfast, you can choose from their special homemade honeys and marmalades. During your stay, you are prepared a beautiful bath with a scent you can choose out of their collection. At check-out, you can pick a mini-fragrance out of the collection! It was 100% worth the price, I highly recommend.

Had an amazing day for a spa here. Can't remember the therapist name but she was awesome. The massage was strong and just the way I like it. You can never find this in Europe 😂Took the 3 hours session and it flew by so quickly. Followed by tea time in their gorgeous yucatan style terrace. Perfumerie was stunning and staff was so helpful!

I had an amazing facial here!! ✨ I got the Under the Yucatan Sun facial. I loved smelling each new natural product she used throughout — honey, yogurt, subtle fragrance. The arm, hand, and head massages during were amazing. And this place is just gorgeous! 🤩 (And coming from the US, the price was amazing! This ~$30 60-min facial would have cost $100+ there easily.) I would definitely go back!

Dona Con Chispas is a destination that offers a lot to visitors. However, if you're not fond of hot and tropical weather, it may not be the ideal place for you. To gauge your comfort in such climate, consider visiting during the hottest months from May to September. Although this might not be the most favorable time to visit, experiencing Dona Con Chispas during these months will give you an insight into its less favorable conditions.
