Gasoline Grill is a unique burger joint located at a petrol station, offering an unexpected twist on the drive-in experience. Known for serving some of the world's best burgers, it offers reasonably priced combos that include a burger, fries, and a carbonated or alcoholic drink. The famous cheeseburger is made with fresh ground organic beef and served in a potato bun with cheddar, raw onion, pickles, and their signature mayo sauce.
You need to come to the original location of Gasoline Grill in Copenhagen to instantly understand where their name comes from. They serve burgers in the former shop of a downtown gas station near Nyhavn and Kongens Nytorv. Interestingly, the place is still a functioning gas station to this day. You can fill up your car, or charge it, while waiting for your burger. The gas station is fully automatic though, no need for a cashier. That’s how the famous gas station burger occupied the former shop area and is serving probably the best burger in Copenhagen. There is a limited menu in Gasoline Grill, but I think that’s just how a great street food burger place should operate. We tasted the two most iconic ones, original burger and cheeseburger, and prefer the latter.
Balázs S — Google review
A solid North American–style burger in a fun Copenhagen setting I had been looking forward to trying this place after seeing a video on YouTube. I love the whole concept behind the Gas Station burger joint — a stylish nod to North American burger culture — and they definitely nail the vibe. As a North American myself, surrounded by some of the best burgers in the world back home, it’s always a fun experience to try the European take on a “classic” burger. But I’ll be honest: most of the time, it ends up feeling like a much more expensive version of a budget comfort food I already have access to regularly. That said — this one was a standout. If you’ve never had a proper North American–style burger and you’re in Copenhagen, this is a fantastic place to start. I had a soft, fresh buttered brioche bun, sharp orange cheddar, a classic burger sauce (think Big Mac style), sweet pickles, and a perfectly grilled, pink, juicy patty. Super well-balanced and satisfying. Final thoughts: Is it a revelation for someone from the U.S. or Canada? Probably not. But it’s a damn good version of a familiar classic, done with care and quality ingredients. If you’re craving a legit burger in Copenhagen, this place will definitely hit the spot.
Eric H — Google review
Best burgers in Copenhagen is an understatement. The line at this one was quite long but service was quick and efficient. Some seating outside. Butter burger was really good, as was the cheeseburger and vinegar fries. Lemonade not amazing but refreshing. Price quite high but worth it.
Yasir — Google review
Probably one of the best burgers you can ever have! The line was long but moved fast. There’s a bit of outdoor seating. The butter burger and cheeseburger were both great, and the fries were really good too. The lemonade was refreshing. A bit pricey, but worth it.
Mir A — Google review
Definitely worth the 30-minute wait for a simple yet outstanding burger. The juicy, flavorful meat really stood out. Seating is limited, but there’s something fun about grabbing a burger from a gas station and eating it on the spot. A must-try when in Copenhagen!
Batuhan A — Google review
Great burger! Fresh ingredients. I asked for a burger with lettuce only for my young boy. They messed it up by putting all ingredients and giving us extra lettuce on the side. My son still ate it! Told me it was delicious!
Constantinos K — Google review
Their hamburgers are very delicious, made with high-quality meat. The fries are also very tasty, and the drinks are good too. It's no surprise it sells so well. In the evenings, there's a very long line of people, and you have to wait for an hour, but it's delicious and worth the wait. The restaurant only has one or two tables for dining in.
Prayuth P — Google review
Such a great place to have a burger and a drink. Especially in summer. Great burgers, fast service and great food. The Green Burger without a veggie patty is so good and fresh. The fresh sanitary napkins are a great treat after a oily burger. Organic fast food at its best!

Grød is a popular spot known for its cozy atmosphere and delicious food. The staff is friendly and efficient, adding to the overall pleasant experience. The menu features tasty bowls such as the All In Bowl and Acai bowl, both of which are generously portioned and flavorful. Additionally, the fresh juices and acai bowl come highly recommended. Whether you're craving a vegan porridge or a classic option with apple, roasted almonds & caramel sauce, Grød has something for everyone.
📍 Grød, Copenhagen What can we say… we must be your biggest fans When I arrived in Copenhagen my sister knew our very first stop for breakfast had to be Grød. There was no hesitation, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. From the moment we stepped in, the space had that signature Scandinavian coziness, clean design, soft lighting, warm smiles from the staff. It instantly set the tone for a calm, nourishing start to our day. We tried the following: ✨ The Green Bowl 💚, an absolute celebration of freshness. Every bite tasted like health, but in the most delicious way possible. ✨ The Overnight Oats 🥣, creamy, chilled, and layered with so much texture. The oats were rich yet smooth, and the toppings added bursts of sweetness and crunch. Comforting, energizing, and exactly what we needed on a warm Copenhagen morning. The food was a 10/10, but honestly, the experience was more than just breakfast. The vibe here is relaxed, wholesome, and inviting, making you want to linger with your bowl a little longer. The staff were kind and attentive without ever being overbearing you could feel that they truly care about the food and the people they serve. As visitors, we were so grateful for a spot that felt both authentic to Copenhagen’s food scene and welcoming to travelers. For anyone looking for a place to fuel their day, whether you’re a local popping in before work or a tourist discovering the city, Grød is the definition of starting your morning right. We’ll absolutely be back, and next time we’re bringing the whole crew to try even more bowls. Thank you, Grød, for being everything we needed and more 🌱✨

As a tourist from Ukraine, of course, it was a bit expensive for me. But if you compare in general with the prices in Copenhagen, then +- normal prices. The dish was very tasty, the place is spacious, there were few people in the morning in autumn. Only my plate was cracked, but maybe it all goes into the atmosphere of the place, I don't know🤪
Nadiia S — Google review
Had breakfast here after being recommended by several people. I have to say they were not wrong. I had the porridge 1, and it was one of the best I ever had. Fresh toppings, right temperature and texture. The bowl may look small, but remember that it is porridge, that will fill you up. The hot chocolate was alright, nothing special but not bad either. The staff was very nice, and the place was very cozy. The price is not too bad for Copenhagen, I recommend it if you are looking for a more budget friendly breakfast in the city.
Kevin C — Google review
Yummy and filling! Got the congee with chicken and it was well seasoned with generous toppings. The carrot juice was a nice surprise too!
Natalie K — Google review
Best porridge I’ve ever had. I don’t know how they get the texture like that… plus the perfect amount of toppings. It might seem expensive for oats but I think it’s worth it. Go.
Hayley R — Google review
Simply delicious food. The Red Daal Bowl was awesome. The dal was well cooked and tasty. Nice quantity. The veggies were fresh. Loves it so much that I had two. Place is nice and cozy.
Manu P — Google review
Lovely place for breakfast with excellent coffee and the best porridge I've had outside of home. It really is that good! I had the porridge 1 with apple, roasted almond and caramel sauce, delicious. My husband had the all in, an impressive amount of toppings although some of the flavors like peanut butter were a bit overwhelming. Prices are on par with any other breakfast in Copenhagen. If you love porridge, don't miss this place!
Monique S — Google review
I have heard a lot about this place, every person I talk to seem to love Grød. So I had high expectations when I finally came here, I was not disappointed. Super cozy décor. Staff was friendly and fast. The food was great, also the lemonade and matcha drink was really nice. Loved it, now I will join my friends in singing its praises.

Cantonese restaurant
Food court
Goldfinch is a hidden gem located in Copenhagen, offering a taste of Hong Kong in the heart of the city. Tucked away in a secret back courtyard, this restaurant is part of Copenhagen's New Asian Wave, serving modern and playful Cantonese cuisine. The venue features large booths and Lazy Susans for sharing plates, creating an intimate and communal dining experience. Guests can expect flavorful dumplings, noodles, sweet and sour pork with strawberries, and glamorous cocktails.
I made a same day reservation for a late dinner and chose to sit at the bar (kitchen). We had an incredible meal and enjoyed sharing all of the different plates. Everything is perfect for sharing and the kitchen staff were very polite and informative. We got the cucumbers, salt and pepper mushrooms, pork wontons, Dan Dan noodles, char siu pork, and white rice. We ended the meal with the mango pudding and it was such a surprising experience. I really loved every bite of it. It was the perfect ending to our meal. Bright and not too sweet or heavy. I really enjoyed how all of the flavors complemented each other and each dish was nuanced and well seasoned. The toasted sesame seeds, white pepper, Szechuan pepper, etc. The chili oil was delicious and nothing was overly seasoned or spicy. My favorite thing that I had was the mushrooms. The texture and taste were such a treat. I would love to come back here if I ever found myself in Copenhagen again. 10/10 recommend. The only thing I did not like was our waitress. She kept trying to suggest things we did not want (we already knew what we wanted) or tried to dissuade me from getting the dessert I wanted because it was not enough to share. She wanted us to get the French toast but it seemed too heavy and I did not want it. The mango pudding was perfect for sharing and delicious. She also kept commenting on how I was drinking nothing because I only wanted sparkling water and not something else. Other than that I really loved this place. The rest of the staff was lovely.

After eating at a much pricier and well-known restaurant the night before, this meal was the best we had during our weekend in Copenhagen. Everything was amazing and the kitchen bar atmosphere and the professionalism of the kitchen team was noticeable. The fried aubergine were an unexpected favorite!
Megan M — Google review
The food’s a proper fusion Chinese delight-my favourite, honestly-and the drinks? Absolutely spot-on. Shame about the service, though. Last time, the waitress was an absolute gem, all warm and on it, but this time the waiter seemed a bit checked out.
Amy C — Google review
The experience was amazing ! I went solo sat at the bar the chefs were super friendly and we chitchatted throughout and waitress was great and friendly. Food started off so well the first two dishes their take on shrimp roast and especially the crispy aubergine was the star then it went down from there I had the noodles they were too vinegary (I don’t eat pork so I had it removed, this could have been spicy to balance out the food). And the dessert I hand fruity one with plums it has too much of the Chinese spices that took it away for me. I wish I had kept the momentum there. Worth trying I would go again and stick to all small dishes rather than main. I’ll also say the duck looked amazing but could not order half a duck for myself.
Nourah A — Google review
I sat at the high top overlooking the chef’s station. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and interactions with the chefs and the staff. The food was delicious, and I appreciated the slight variations on the dishes I tried, especially the (smoked?) tea dust on the black bean chicken. I was a little sad that I didn’t have more time in the city to go back and try some other dishes.
Jordan R — Google review
Highly recommend this restaurant! It was incredible! The menu is chinese fusion shared plates style and we ordered most of it and it was all very good. The quality of the food was high and our favorites included: the aubergine (a must get), the salads, the greens, the venison, the dan dan noodles (a must get), the halibut, and the scallops! We also got the mango dessert which was remarkable. Drink menu is also so fun! Excellent selection of tea including pu-erh. Service was great, they were super nice. Overall one of our favorite restaurants this trip!
Avery M — Google review
What an awesome restaurant. Started with lovely genuine hello or welcome by the staff as we walked through the restaurant. My cocktail was outstanding and they let my wife try a couple of wine tastings until she found something she liked. The food was sooo tasty. All dishes were fantastic but the aubergine was next level. Ignore the fact it says fish sauce as it isnt and doesn't taste like that. Combo of sweet and spicy was Devine. Is a little on the pricey side but worth it in my view for a superb evening.
Phil E — Google review
I’m baffled how this restaurant has so many amazing reviews. Overall, the food was overly salty and/or too much vinegar with very little flavor. We ordered several dishes and only the single order oysters and the salad were good. The black bean chicken and the wontons were fine but the fried rice, dan dan noodles, the cucumbers and the bao were bad. My friend ordered a cocktail and didn’t like her drink either. This restaurant is insanely overhyped and overpriced. I can get better Chinese take out in most major cities for a fraction of the price. Paying nearly $300 for this tasteless meal honestly felt like I was being swindled. The restaurant was mostly empty and didn’t have a good atmosphere for dinner on a Sunday night. I should have known by the emptiness of this restaurant. The service was fine but not great. Save yourself a lot of money and time and go somewhere else. There are plenty of great restaurants in Copenhagen and this is certainly not one of them.

Bistro
Restaurant
Silberbauers Bistro, located in Copenhagen, is a cozy French bistro created by Danish chef Mathias Silberbauer. Inspired by his time in Nice, the restaurant offers traditional Nicoise dishes and local seafood. The menu changes constantly based on the fresh ingredients obtained from fishmongers each day. The dining experience is casual and rustic, with a focus on classic bistro cuisine from the South of France. The stripped-down restaurant emphasizes simplicity, where only the ingredients and taste matter.
We had a Sunday lunch here, it was great. French bistro food, very generous portions, tastes perfect, great atmosphere and extremely helpful and cheerful staff. Excellent service, above average for Copenhagen. It is not cheap, but it is worth every crown. Will definitely return!
Srdan M — Google review
I truly love this place. It just ticks all the boxes. Been twice so far and can’t wait to go back when I travel to the city. Perfect French cooking techniques paired with supreme quality products and a wine list that is both fun and reasonably priced.

We had an absolutely excellent meal here! The food was exceptional and the staff is truly great! The young guy who served our table was brilliant! Loved the atmosphere as well! True gem!
Vilhelm R — Google review
Went here on a windy Friday evening - our second time here. It is just a perfect spot. Cozy inside, great atmosphere, great service, awesome food and the best wine list. All that you expect from a French bistro is here. It is a superpopular spot so reservation is needed. We shared some starteres before having the best fish ever eaten. You can easily go and just enjoy the many starters as well. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

My husband and I spent our wedding night here and it was perfect. The staff were absolutely lovely. We felt very welcome. They brought us delicious wine, explained the menu perfectly, and even took some pictures for us. The food was delicious. We loved the Niçois influence. The space was cosy and romantic. We have tried plenty of Michelin-recommended fine dining restaurants in Copenhagen and this was the best by far despite being the cheapest as well. I had the best oysters and mussels of my life. Hardly recommended.

Fantastic ambience and we had a wonderful night there. Amazing food, desserts, fair price and lovely staff. To add on,the interior design is very neat and beautiful:) thanks J for recommending me this place
Zhen H — Google review
The initiated are aware that Copenhagen offers a wide variety of French restaurants: From soulless tourist traps to themed venues that drown you in images of Eiffel towers, baguettes and mustached-beret-wearing mannequins. Then there are the upper-class-upper-price range-mediocre-produce places that look like the place to be, but rarely keep what their polished looks promise. Silberbauer is the opposite of that. Discreet and understated on the outside, full of life and buzz on the inside. Though they fall in the same category as most other restaurants - namely that the starters outshine the mains - all dishes that I tried were the best I’ve had all year. However, the undisputed star was the seared/grilled(?) bone marrow with bread (see photos). The taste was so rich, it actually made the main dish (gnocchi ragout) pale in comparison in terms of flavour. Pro tip: Order it as a pre-desert after the main! My only regret I have from my visit is, that I didn’t order more of them. Four stars on the vibe because it was lunch and I’d imagine dinner time is more lively.

Ramen restaurant
Slurp Ramen Joint is a must-visit destination for ramen enthusiasts in Copenhagen, celebrated for its artisanal approach to noodle-making and the use of fresh, seasonal ingredients. The inviting atmosphere is enhanced by lively music, creating an authentic dining experience. While many patrons rave about the pork tonkotsu ramen, the saffron and creamy miso nduja varieties also receive high praise.
The best noodle dish I have had in Europe. The restaurant definitely knows how to make ramen in a proper way. We were lucky to arrive before long queue on the rainy day. We had Shio Ramen, the seafood broth was a little bit salty for me, but it made the noodles delicious and I did not feel bad after having spoons of the broth. The fried chicken was somehow just average. We liked the local kombucha and rice beer.
Fei — Google review
Slurp is a cozy ramen joint that delivers a solid bowl when you’re in the mood for noodles. The Shio Ramen is light but flavorful, while the Veggie Ramen is surprisingly hearty and doesn’t feel like a compromise. The gyoza is fine and the Nduja Miso ramen is just okay, leaning more on the novelty side than the must-order list. Still, the vibe is casual and welcoming, and the ramen itself is satisfying enough to keep you warm on a cold Copenhagen day.
Dan M — Google review
The staff is very friendly and speaks very good English. The menu is small and has 4 different ramen options. The broth is very rich and tasty. The price is not very cheap and coming to that I would have loved to get the pork meat grilled, it was cold and more in the style of roast beef. The noodles where a little bit sticky which made it hard to slurp the noodles because they all wanted to come together at once, but that’s a small detail. There was quite loud music and the seats were very close to each other so it felt a bit tight to sit at the tables. I would definitely recommend this restaurant because they have a very good broth which I think not many ramen restaurants outside of Japan are good at.
Peter H — Google review
Fusion Japanese ramen, the sashimi was good, the rest was not absolute terrible. The most disturbing part is that you have to pay after every time you order something, also kinda small space if you sit at the bar and they expect us to just squeeze in :)
Quynh D — Google review
Perfect dinner for a cold and rainy day in Copenhagen! Veggie ramen was perfection. Friendly staff. Had a lovely orange wine and the alcohol free beer was great.
Rebecca H — Google review
We were cold and tired after a looooong day exploring and this was the perfect, most delicious, end. So delicious and a great atmosphere with some good music. This is the best ramen I’ve eaten! I want to come back to Copenhagen just to eat it again.
Emily B — Google review
Saw the nduja butter ramen all over my Instagram and knew I had to try it for myself! Lucky that my hotel was just opposite! Got tempted by the aubergine starter which was extremely delicious! Very happy with the ramen, super innovative and although quite different to the ones I had in Japan, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would happily recommend it! Next time, I’ll have to try the chicken karaage!
Alicia A — Google review
cosy ambiance. we had to wait for about ~45 mins to catch 2 places in at around 19h30, but the ramen was worth it (got the shoyu ramen and some pickles)

While traditional Danish dishes like meatballs and smorrebrod remain available, Noma symbolizes the transformation of Nordic cuisine with its emphasis on organic, locally-sourced ingredients without compromising quality.
Totally lived up to the hype. We went in skeptical and were immediately impressed. Easily top 5 for me after many many 3* restaurants. The food was fantastic but what really made noma incredible was the service and atmosphere. Everything felt like clockwork but also genuine and warm at the same time.

Ever since I could afford to travel and try the best food in the world, Noma has been at the top of the list. For over half a decade, I have been trying to get a booking, no matter what season, and I’ve been panicked since I heard the rumours of their imminent closure. Despite all that, after years of trying, a booking for Noma 2.0’s Summer Season finally was in the cards. I was a bit skeptical going into this, with the expectation of it being the “best meal of my life” so far. I love meat, so I was a bit worried with the vegetable focused menu. Boy, was I completely caught with my pants down. Long story short, Noma does live up to its reputation and has claimed its title, in my books, as the best meal of my life so far. I think the careful consideration of the produce, the specialization of Noma’s fermentation techniques, as well as the attention to detail by the staff, truly showcases why Noma deserves the flowers it’s been getting for the better part of two decades. If we’re being nitpicky, the dessert courses were a bit lacking, with the second nut ice cream dessert doing the heavy lifting (absolutely a favourite dessert from recent memory). Speaking on the savoury courses, I’ve typically come to notice a pattern with Michelin/fine dining. There will be a handful of dishes that are pretty “meh”, a good chunk of “wow that’s good”, and maybe, just maybe one or two “holy that’s amazing”. Noma’s savoury dishes had a “holy that’s amazing” almost entirely across the board. I can maybe think of 1 or 2 that were “wow that’s good” and no “meh” dishes. To highlight my absolute favourites: the wasabi leaf bouquet, the rose octopus with peaso sauce, and my absolute favourite dish, the flower salad with caramelized barley koji. To further add to that, the service provided by the staff is bar none, the best we’ve received. From warm welcomes, enthusiastic explanations, and even making note of our pace and matching it accordingly, their attention to detail truly is one-of-a-kind I’m truly grateful to have dined at Noma and really understood how they’ve come to impact the food scene globally. I highly recommend making the journey here, I know that if I’m lucky to get a reservation for Game & Forest Season, I’ll drop everything to make it!

I have mixed feelings about my Noma experience. I have been following the restaurant and Rene Redzepi for some years now and dining at Noma was very high on my bucket list. After being on the waiting list for a while, we finally got a reservation which coincidentally landed at my birthday. My wife and I made a 2,000km (round) trip just for this dinner. The expectations therefore were high and excitement to the max. The location of the restaurant is exceptional, to see how a restaurant with this pedigree operates was an unforgettable experience, I was star struck by seeing Chef Redzepi in person. The staff take care of you from the very beginning until the end. The kitchen is an impressive machinery of people. The restaurant itself is beautiful, cozy and welcoming. The whole setting is nothing short of perfect. Now the food, our experience included 16 courses and wine pairing, I can recognize all the research, technique and passion put into every dish, the presentation, textures and flavors you encounter are special and unexpected. There is a big but though, for me food is a big passion and what defines the dishes I remember is ultimately the pleasure that they generate when I put them in my mouth and I have to painfully say, there was maybe one of the 16 courses that came close to that but not close enough. In summary, the box is ticked but the excitement and all the expectation was clouded by the failure to bring joy to my mouth.

A truly remarkable restaurant, which I cannot recommend enough. We were there for ocean season and as expected every dish was unexpected and remarkable. It was a very well balanced menu, with more experimental dishes balanced by more traditional dishes. We felt very at ease at the friendly and more casual atmosphere and we were truly impressed by the thoughtfulness, quality, fun, thoughtfulness, novelty and balance in the entire menu. The pairing was excellent as well. I cannot wait to see what happens next at Noma. Thanks!

Best restaurant I have ever been to. From the beginning you feel like a good friend of the restaurant - everyone is so nice and friendly in a very casual way. The food is something special and unique in a way which only Noma is making it. If you ever have the chance - grab it!

Noma is definitely a mixed bag for people. Because they are unconventional. If you think 3 stars you typically think French + contemporary + Japanese. But noma does not do that and they are quite in your face with the dishes you eat. Which is why not a lot of people will enjoy. Is the food bad? Not really. Probably just not used to nor accustomed to the flavours. The staff though? Super friendly, constant banter, feels like you are at home than feeling stressed in a 3 stars restaurant. Overall, give it a try and you can have your judgement.
Zhi Y — Google review
Dining at Noma is an experience that transcends food itself. It’s not about whether something tastes “good” or “delicious” in the conventional sense — it’s about tasting a philosophy, a vision of nature captured in the form of a meal. This autumn menu felt like a journey through the wild. Every dish seemed to emerge directly from the forest — as if we had walked in empty-handed, foraged with our bare hands, and transformed what we could see, touch, and smell into a feast. The ingredients weren’t just cooked; they were discovered. The entire experience reminded me of being completely stripped of luxury — standing naked in nature, sustained only by what the earth offers. Yet paradoxically, it felt more luxurious than any opulent meal, because it was pure, primal, and deeply human. Each course invited me to use not just my palate, but all my senses — to smell the moss, to see the play of color and shadow, to hear the quiet of the forest within every bite. The plating felt like an extension of the landscape itself: leaves, stones, bark, and air all became part of the composition. Some might say it’s like “paying to experience simplicity,” but to me, it was the opposite — it was rediscovering abundance in its most honest form. This isn’t just dining; it’s an artistic meditation on survival, nature, and our connection to the world around us.

We were here for a pop-up event with ice cream and coffee as well as tasting of Noma's amazing creations. Following up on the pop up, we have now dined at Noma. We got the summer menu sitting at the shared table including 10 couples. This was a great experience, meeting different people from all over the world here for Noma! The settings are amazing! What a vibe! The team is the highlight! 60 employees working in sync, and in the center of the restaurant to serve 60 diners. The food was creative and attractive as well as tasty. But... If you are looking for flavors that wow you, I did not get that. It was more of a total experience and the story behind the food. Also, while the wine pairing was very good, the juice pairing was less so, with all but two of the juices tasting like watered down versions saving calories. At the end of the evening, drink still in hand we were taken on a tour of the restaurant. The tour ended at a door where we were shown out - we'll have to see if we can get a drink in the lounge another time. I want to thank the amazing team for being how they are! So many smiles, welcoming us and genuinely being there for the diners!

Vækst is a unique bi-level restaurant located in Copenhagen's Latin Quarter, adjacent to the SP34 Hotel. The restaurant features a stunning two-story greenhouse with an abundance of plants and herbs that create a vibrant atmosphere for diners. The menu at Vækst focuses on Nordic cuisine, with an emphasis on vegetables complemented by meats, fish, and seafood. The owners have aimed to evoke the feeling of an endless Danish summer within the restaurant's indoor-outdoor setting.
We had an unforgettable dinner experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely incredible – every single dish we tried was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. Without a doubt, this was the best steak we’ve ever had in Copenhagen. Truly outstanding. The service started off a bit slow; it took some time before anyone came to our table. However, once things got going, the staff took very good care of us and made sure we were comfortable and well looked after. One odd part of the experience was the seating arrangement. Our friends had made a reservation in advance and mentioned that it was for a wedding celebration. Despite this, we were initially offered bar stools, which felt a bit inappropriate for the occasion. Thankfully, after we asked, they moved us to a regular table. The only real downside was the lack of air conditioning – it was quite hot inside, which made the atmosphere a bit uncomfortable at times. Still, the quality of the food and the overall experience more than made up for it. Highly recommended for the food alone.

Our first dinner in Copenhagen was at Vækst, and it set a beautiful tone for the trip. The restaurant, part of the Cofoco group and tucked beside Hotel SP34, feels like stepping into a greenhouse; filled with plants, glass, and soft light. We were seated downstairs, which was quiet and calm, a lovely start to the evening. We chose the three course menu and really enjoyed it. The salted halibut and fried plaice were incredible, perfectly cooked and delicious. I also appreciated how easily they made my husband’s dishes dairy free, and the small bites between courses were thoughtful and delicious. The staff were friendly and polite, but something about the service felt a little impersonal; it took a while for anyone to greet us or explain the menu, and wine recommendations did not happen as there was no sommelier. Everything ran smoothly and at the same time food came out fast if that makes sense; and that warmth and storytelling that make a dining experience truly special were missing for me. Still, the food was delicious and although our experience wasn’t completely perfect, I would absolutely recommend Vækst for a lovely dinner or lunch in Copenhagen. NOTE: For those who like less noise, book the earliest seating while it is still reasonable for nice conversation.

Magnificent! Excellently executed food and outstanding atmosphere and service! We took 3-course menus with wine pairings and this was plenty of food (honestly don’t know how hungry you must be for a 4 course menu). They add additional mini-dishes in between main servings so there will be enough great food coming your way! Wine pairings are very generous too! Very good amount of wine, every serving.

We had lunch at Vækst in Copenhagen as part of our wedding celebration with close friends and family – and it was such a lovely experience. We were a group of nine and went for the three-course lunch menu, with drinks à la carte. The service was incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive from start to finish. We were seated upstairs, with the windows open and fresh air coming in, which made the atmosphere feel relaxed and summery. We really appreciated the small greetings from the kitchen in between the courses – especially before the starter and main course – which helped bridge the time nicely and made it feel even more thoughtful. The only downside was that the wait between the main course and dessert was a bit too long, and by the time coffee arrived, it was not really hot anymore. That said, everything else was perfect. The food, the setting, the people – it all made for a memorable afternoon. We’d absolutely recommend Vækst and would gladly come back.

This was our second booking with a restaurant in the Cofoco group and it was yet another excellent meal. The restaurant is spread across 2 floors and seemed quieter on the below ground floor, with big party groups upstairs. Service was a little slow to start with, but excellent, and staff had no trouble dealing with a request for a gluten free meal. The presentation of the dishes is spectacular, and every course was superb. There’s a very good range of wines by the glass, and for the city, and the quality, this was an excellent value meal.

Took forever to get our table even though we had a reservation. Then it took forever to bring out the food. And it was pretty disastrous. Had the 4 course menu. Bread is rock hard, butter had no taste. Complimentary foods were okay. Scallops are freezing cold and no taste whatsoever. Caviar is forgettable. Tatar of beef is mushy, tastless, cold. The potato chips are lacking imagination. Complimentart mushroom soup is salted to the point you can't eat it. Main course of tenderloin was tasty tho the portion is small. I tasted the fried cod as well it was mediocre at best. Had the apple sorbet for dessert, which was the only exciting dish. The cream was phenomenal. But again, it was like 2 bites. Waiters were great but the service is slow. Avoid.

Wanted to try this restaurant long time as heard it’s amazing - and yes it is! And with how busy it is at 20pm on Wednesday completely full proves that, even though it has a lot of seating. Therefore must be booked, for people who is into wine would love the place, every course is paired with nice wine.

Absolutely incredible experience. We celebrated our wedding day with a dinner at Ark. From beginning to end the staff were so accommodating and friendly. All dishes were great, but we highly recommend the wine pairing – truly a game-changer. Dima, your service was next level. Your attention to detail, patience and wit was very refreshing. That ‘96 dessert wine blew our minds. Thank you.

Innovative and delicious! Clearly the chefs have a deep and storied history of working with plant based cuisine and it shines in this menu. From the top, it impressed, stunned, and left us excited to return next time we're in Copenhagen. The only thing that seems like it could use refining is the dessert portion of the menu. The fermented pairing was so impressive all on its own, and perfectly balanced each dish. Overall, a masterclass that has earned its place among the best vegan restaurants in the world.

Elegant establishment with focus on plant based cuisine and sustainability. Menu was 9 courses and creative with great attention to detail given to plating and explanation. Wine pairings were very thoughtful and helped bring out underlying flavours. I never had asparagus in a dessert before but somehow it worked. Staff were amazing. Professional attentive and knowledgeable. Not an ounce of pretention. Nice use of local ingredients. Use of colour was delightful

ARK has a green Michellin star 2025 and it truly is deserved. Food is exceptional, delicious and very innovative. You can taste chef caring about each dish and flavors dance in the mouth. At the end of the evening we got our menus as a gift home, and they contain forgetmenots flower seeds that we can plant in your garden next season. So sweet!

An unforgettable plant-based fine dining experience! Dining at Ark in Copenhagen was an absolute highlight. The nine-course tasting menu was a creative journey through flavors, textures, and presentation – every dish a masterpiece. I don’t eat mushrooms, even though Ark takes great pride in growing their own, and I was impressed by how thoughtfully they adapted the menu for me. Each alternative was outstanding. The drink pairings were equally impressive – innovative, beautifully matched, and delicious. Everything felt intentional and perfectly balanced. Special thanks to Alex, our main server, who guided us through the evening with warmth, knowledge, and care. He explained each course in detail and made us feel truly welcome. The entire team was attentive, kind, and deeply professional. A wonderful final touch: we were given the printed menu as a keepsake on recycled paper embedded with forget-me-not seeds, a beautiful way to remember the evening by planting them at home. Ark is more than a restaurant – it’s an experience. The attention to detail, sustainability, and hospitality shines through in every aspect. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a plant-based fine dining experience that’s both elegant and exciting. Five stars – would return in a heartbeat!

Really enioyed dining at Ark. For me new doors opened for plant-based cooking. Sauces that usually would consist out of 50% butter were just as rich and smooth of flavour without it. The front of house knew how to explain the dishes really well and were well prepared for any questions asked. Recommend this to anyone, also if you are not typically vegan or plant-based oriented.

Loved our community dinner here! We were 3 people including our 13 year old son and had a beautiful time chatting with some Danes and a women from Greece. The food was EXCELLENT and including bread (so tasty) with chive butter, new potatoes and smoked salad with dressing and a salad with pickled onions and lentils. All delicious and amazing affordable. What an amazing experience! Its communal dining so you get to meet people. Everyone is generally very friendly. The food was also really tasty. We had bbq chicken with salsa and roast root vegetables. The “cold bowl” desert (a type of buttermilk) was also nice. It’s often a full house so make sure to reserve in advance.

The food is served family style, we were the last of 6 to get the food plates and the 4 before us took most of the salad and salmon. We're not big eaters so we didn't mind, but others sure would have minded. I cannot eat gluten, they provided me with a small gf roll. There was salmon, salad, mashed potatoes, cooked cabbage, and a desert I couldn't eat, gluten full.

Absolutely delicious breakfast / brunch restaurant in the center of Copenhagen. It is popular, so it is likely that you'll have to put your name to the list and queue outside for a while. The menu incorporates the Polish origin of the owners and blends inspirations from the kitchens of the world, taking you to Turkey, middle east or South America. We loved everything on the menu - probably Turkish Cilbir being the star of the brunch, but deconstructed breakfast burrito or shakshuka (called sekshuka at seks) were great aswell. The bread is freshly baked and you can get some appetizers with polish spread or with cheese and pickles (ask for the "illegal" ketchup version).

Seks has a lot of unique options, both savory and sweet — seasonal too! I had the eggs with chanterelles, so good and buttery. I wish the service was just as buttery smooth… unfortunately not. I’ve been here multiple times and almost became my favorite spot, but there’s 1 worker: female, septum piercing and blonde, most rude person I’ve ever talked to behind a desk. I’ve never experienced poor service from anyone else in there, but I try not to go when I see her at the till. ): Simply rude, arrogant and interrupts customers. I have worked at many cafes and restaurants, and this behavior is not okay. Can definitely be handled differently. Hope to see some changes here soon, as their food, Monika and Jan do a fantastic work. Would recommend going here!

We stopped at Seks for a coffee break after a day of strolling around. The café is so cute and has the kind of cosy charm that makes you want to stay longer. This ended up being my favourite coffee in Copenhagen. I’m quite picky with coffee, being from Australia where good coffee is everywhere, so i was very happy:) I had an oat milk flat white and although it was about $11 AUD equivalent (definitely the most expensive cup we had during our trip), it was 100% worth it and genuinely delicious. Seks is known for great specialty coffee and a fresh, seasonal brunch menu. The dishes are beautifully presented, with things like eggs, sourdough, baked goods, salads and plant forward plates that feel wholesome but still indulgent. The entire place feels very Copenhagen; thoughtful, aesthetic, warm and relaxed. The staff were really friendly and welcoming with good vibes! If you love great coffee and want a cute spot to sit and enjoy a break during your day, I definitely recommend stopping here. Next time I come back to Copenhagen I’ll be ordering food as well.

Ramen to Bíiru is a delightful gem nestled in a quiet residential area, offering an inviting atmosphere with ample outdoor seating. The attentive staff enhances the experience as you savor their delicious ramen dishes, including standout options like the spicy Goma and vegetarian miso. Diners rave about the flavorful noodles and tasty sides such as edamame and mushrooms. While prices may be on the higher side, many agree that the quality justifies it.

Honestly, reviewing a R2B place is slowly approaching reviewing a McD or a BK. Not on every corner, but close. This said, this is a rather nice spot tucked away in a residential part of town. Attentive staff and plenty of outdoor seating. Beer fridges what you would expect expect from one of these Mikkeller places. Then again, the ramen is super nice, albeit at a very steep price point. Went for the spicy Goma and it delivered once again.

Very expensive and basic ramen with nothing but broth meat and noodles (1 and 3). Barely any other ingredients. 300dkk or 40 euros for 2 mid ramen is insane even for Copenhagen.

Awesome décor and okay ramen, worst Ramen to Bíiru I have visited. They have really given great thought to the décor. It felt cozy and cool, perfect for a meal with friends or a date. I wish they had given the same thought to the food. It was overpriced for mediocre ramen and cold eggs. Not bad, but way to expensive for that quality. Service with the bare minimal of effort, again not bad but...

Highly recommend visiting.

Here you can find things you wouldn't find elsewhere... not necessarily local, but impressive nonetheless. You can buy them or enjoy them on the spot, just like in a French market hall. But it comes at a price.

Simply amazing selections of fresh everything. Definitely the place for foodies to hangout and have a drink as the afternoons are quite busy. Bring a basket and try something new or that you’ve never seen before 😋 stay hungry my friends

It’s a very stylish market with a wide selection of high-quality ingredients from various countries — from cheeses and olive oils to fresh seafood, beef, chicken, kitchenware, canned fish, baking tools, and fresh fruits and vegetables. There are also plenty of ready-to-eat options, including Spanish, Italian, and Danish dishes.

Fine dining restaurant
Kiin Kiin is a contemporary Thai fusion restaurant located in Norrebro, Copenhagen. Co-founded by legendary Danish chef Henrik Yde Andersen and Lertchai Treetawatchaiwong, the restaurant offers a unique take on traditional Thai cuisine. With a relaxed atmosphere featuring rattan chairs and wooden floors, Kiin Kiin provides an oriental dining experience starting with snacks in the lounge accompanied by wine or beer before enjoying a seven or eight-course meal at the table.
Incredible fine dining experience! Each dish was an explosion of flavour, resonant in the language of Thai cuisine. Almost everything was perfect but the music was a bit cheesy, almost muzak-esque. Might be nicer if they used some modern Thai jazz or something else from that sphere (without becoming a parody of itself)

I love Thai food. Have eaten Thai food my whole life. Have never eaten Thai food like this. Super interesting. The table next to us even got to blowtorch their own crust. They definitely don't hold back on the spice level. Whole meal took about 3 hours start to finish. Service was friendly. Only complaint is that the pescatarian substitution for the beef being fishcake felt a bit.. cheap.. I was told it would be king prawn. Then again I did request no beef just before the meal. Would describe more but better you try it for yourself. Just Thai flavours in textures you've never tried before. While I definitely enjoyed my meal here, if I had to choose between this and my regular Thai takeout, I think I'd still go with the latter. Would recommend this as a try if you want Thai food but different.

One of the few Thai restaurants with a Michelin star. It’s a blend of traditional and some fusion mix of Thai food. We had the 6 course menu. The concept starts with a mix of snacks while you are in the main lobby of the restaurant and then you are ushered to the main dining room for the 6 course menu. The menu includes a soup, some sea food dishes and ends up with a meat dish followed by a dessert. The service is good / and attentive and expected for a Michelin star restaurant. The wines choices are good too and they have Riesling to start / followed by wine pairings if Chardonnay / Rose wine and Red Italian wine with the main meat dish. There is some innovation/ some dishes are delicious and overall the experience is a good one. It’s also decent and reasonably priced as compared to other various Michelin starred restaurants in Copenhagen/ or any other big European metropolis. Soup to begin with was delicious, one of the salmon and caviar dish was excellent and so was the meat with rice as a final main course. I would say overall worth a visit especially if you want a break from Nordic cuisines and want something spicy and Asian. Wine pairing is decent and if you don’t mind the additional cost then I would recommend. Meal for 2 is easily 400 euros without wine pairings. Verdict 4/5

A relic of Michelin days past. A decade or two ago, this was likely a ground breaking experience in light handed fusion of Royal Thai cuisine in a French haute cuisine format, but times and trends have moved on, and Kiin Kiin has not evolved or kept pace with what’s available on the international scene in its class of restaurant at this price point. I can see how this must have burst onto the scene so long ago, because the concept is interesting; the 6 amuse bouche/ snacks to start the meal are innovative in their mix of traditional flavours, spice, heat and textures and were one of the highlights. But as the meal progressed some of the table side theatrics just began to feel unnecessary and almost detracted from the actual quality of the cooking. Asian diners familiar with fine dining or the Michelin and even non Michelin accredited establishments in South East Asia will likely be disappointed here because the flavours are familiar but not elevated enough for them to appreciate. That said, anyone who is less familiar or just craving a light haute cuisine Asian experience for date night or a special occasion will enjoy the evening. The environment and decor is a little dated and lacks the refinement and sophistication of other establishments at this price point. But it’s still comfortable and… maybe a little too warm. The AC here is stuffy so try to be seated near a window so you can personally modulate the draft from the window yourself. The aromatic crab curry with home made rice noodle was a highlight. The curry is delicate enough to be turned into an espuma which highlights the delicate flavour and aromatics. Many of the other dishes felt very heavy handed in salt and acid and lacked the sophistication and execution of this dish. And like I said before, some of the fussiness took away from the actual good cooking of the kitchen. Not so in this dish. Service was pleasant and the establishment is run by a mostly Asian crew predominantly Thai in ethnicity to give it that exotic feeling. They seem to enjoy entertaining you and helped to make the night more of an experience.

A wonderful journey through Thai gastronomy. Very good staff and a fair price level compared to the experience and very high standard. The staff was polite and friendly and the food was delicious. I've been to Thailand and I have to say this restaurant took Thai food to a whole new level. They deserve to have a good review, not only for the risk of making a Thai restaurant but for the amazing atmosphere and product that they deliver! Well done Kiin Kiin!

Les Trois Cochons is a charming French restaurant located in a former butcher's shop with a bright and airy atmosphere. Situated on Vaernedamsve shopping street, it offers a delightful brunch experience with a variety of healthy and substantial options. The star of the menu is their waffles, which come with changing toppings featuring fruit compotes and cre fraiche. This local bistro is part of the Cofoco chain, known for its diverse themed restaurants across Copenhagen.
good service and atmosphere. I made a reservation, so our table was ready on time. we ordered the family style menu. food was delicious. most of all I liked the truffle appetizer 💔 and steak and the main course with chicken. white asparagus was a bit bitter. service was timely and everything was relaxed. It’s my first night in Copenhagen, and my friend took me out to dinner at this restaurant. We had the family sharing menu, and the food was quite good. I love the presentation of the food. Wasn’t a big fan of my main course, the chicken, but other than that everything else was delicious. The place itself used to be a butchery factory and they have done a great job with the ambience and design. I forgot to ask the name of our server, but he was extremely nice.

Oysters and Grill, a trendy eatery in Copenhagen's Norrebro district, offers a focused menu of fresh shellfish platters and straight-up grilled steaks and fish. Unlike other chic dining establishments in the area, this restaurant exudes warmth and humility with its brightly colored tablecloths, floral designs, and flickering candles.
The restaurant gives a "simple" impression (e.g. colorful tablecoths!! Super!) but the food is excellent!! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved the explanation on origin and taste of each oyster variety. Bit pricey but worth it. Recommended!
Gerald D — Google review
We had a generally pleasant experience at Oysters & Grill. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, which created a nice atmosphere. When we arrived, the waiter asked if we would like him to “offer” us a glass of Prosecco before ordering. Based on how it was phrased—and from past experiences at other restaurants—we assumed this was a complimentary welcome drink. So, it was quite surprising to see a charge of 130 DKK for the two glasses on the final bill. The wording made it sound like a hospitable gesture, not something that would be added to the check. A clearer approach would have been to simply ask, “Would you like to order a glass of Prosecco to start?” As for the food, everything we ordered was quite good. We had the padrón peber, moules frites (generous portion), grillet havbars (also well-sized), and the yellowtail. The yellowtail was especially tasty, although the portion was noticeably smaller than what we had seen in the photos. Complimentary bread slices were also brought to the table, which was appreciated. Another positive experience was the trust the staff showed when it came to redeeming our Cofoco points. I had called the restaurant beforehand and was told I could just provide my name and email to redeem points. So I didn’t bring my physical Cofoco card. Only upon arrival did I learn that the card was in fact needed. Thankfully, they kindly let me go home to get it without any issue, which I really appreciated. Overall, the experience was good—just slightly dampened by the misleading Prosecco situation and somewhat high prices. Still, the warm staff and enjoyable food made it a worthwhile visit.

Oyster and Grill presents a compelling dining option for enthusiasts of seafood. The restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere, making it well-suited for gatherings among family and friends. During a recent visit with friends, the culinary offerings, particularly the mouth-watering seafood, were thoroughly enjoyed. The establishment also provides a diverse selection of beverages, including beer, wine, spirits, and mocktails, complementing the dining experience. While the overall food quality was exceptional, a minor issue was noted with some oysters arriving with missing covers. However, this did not significantly detract from an otherwise highly positive experience. The delectable food and pleasant ambiance collectively contributed to a memorable visit.

AUG2025: a great place in Copenhagen, modern menu of sea food mainly (but not only), served more as tapas format; very cool ambiance thanks to a relaxed old style decoration; we are frequent patrons, and yesterday the service was just best in class; we love the vibrant neighborhood as well - fewer tourists, pure CPH spirit

This is IT ! One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had here in Copenhagen! It was so good the first time we went there that we had to come back the next day hahaha ☀️🍤🐠They have a lot of tables so there is always space for you. The decor adds beach and holiday vibes, and it’s so cozy! The staff was so friendly, especially one waiter we had both times (diner on 30th and 31th of August) , who recognized us the second time 🫶 The food was perfect with great portions and served in elegant plates! We loved the fact that the quality was so good but the place was lowkey. The prices are fair for the amount and quality that you get. They also have an extensive drink menu if you are looking for nice cocktails to add to your experience 🍹🍸We will definitely come back next time we’re in Copenhagen 🥹

Takeout Restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant Kongens Nytorv area of Copenhagen, Restaurant Palægade is a culinary gem that celebrates Danish cuisine with its exquisite smørrebrød, or open-faced sandwiches. Since its inception in 2016, this charming eatery has captivated locals and visitors alike with its commitment to quality and flavor. The menu boasts over 40 varieties of smørrebrød, featuring everything from traditional herring to succulent tenderloin topped with mushrooms.
We had the tasting menu in September 2024 when visiting Denmark, with some adjustments made by the chef to make it halal for myself and my husband. And they kept it normal menu for my in-laws as they are not Muslims. Was very accommodating and friendly staff, they keep your glasses full and stomach satisfied. My father in law recently visited Copenhagen for work, and dined the restaurant again and loved it again. It is also very reasonably priced and very filling. Highly recommended!

I arrived without a reservation, and even though the restaurant was full, they managed to accommodate me. The food was delicious—I ordered the course menu. Great raw food, vegan friendly, gluten free friendly (not sure if celiac friendly). Food is fresh, healthy, and colorful. Very generous portions! Very light and chic atmosphere. Nice location and deco , there even one plant growing downward from the roof which makes it very eco. Staff very kind and helpful. Food, i took the hot bowl and i find it very light on salt and could be tastier. Quality or the ingredients however was top. All I can say is: “Simply amazing!” I could eat there daily trying all promising dishes from the menu. The waitress was very friendly and helpful advising us to try the burger. The restaurant is a nice place with a great atmosphere. Kind staff and nice music. I tasted loads of vegan Burgers in different countries and I have to say that it did not taste that good or fresh. I had the feeling the vegetables were kind of rotten for my taste. On the other hand the compote was delicious and refreshing, perfect dessert!. Thank you for the experience!.

Very good raw vegan food. We were a bit reluctant because even as vegans we do not usually get excited about “raw” cuisine. The food was actually very good and most importantly: satisfying. The passionfruit dessert was outstanding. Service was very friendly and the ambience was inviting. Excellent place for a date.

Stopped by with my wife while roaming the streets of Copenhagen. She ordered the Jerusalem artichoke soup while I had the avocado sandwich. The soup was very tasty, quite mild but really nice. The avocado sandwich was delightful, so many flavours topped with a basil pesto and a magnificent bread. Together with the recommended rose wine this was something to repeat! Netted 320,- DKK in all, which is really nice price (although being Norwegian everything in Denmark seems less expensive 😜)

Ramen restaurant
Slurp Ramen Joint is a cozy Japanese restaurant in Nansensgade, Copenhagen, specializing in Tokyo-style ramen dishes with various toppings. The noodles are made from flour sourced from Japan and Bornholm using a special Japanese noodle machine to ensure the perfect consistency and texture. With four different types of ramen to choose from, including Shio, Shoyu, and Veggie, there's something for everyone.
Kaarage, Wonton and Nduja Ramen. Everything was good. Nice noodles, well cooked egg, in my personal opinion was to little pork in the ramen, but all the flavors were well done
Damaris C — Google review
Ramen-head here. I’ve had over 200 unique bowls from around the world and came here based on a recommendation. Gyoza The gyoza was subpar. It was greasy and the outside was very thick, dominating the flavor. The flavor itself was decent but way overpowered. Karage Tasty and moist on the inside, good kewpie mayo, outside was a bit light. Overall good but not worth the calories. Shoyu Ramen Excellent bowl overall. Good thin noodles. Broth was authentic, rich, and not overwhelming. The pork was generally tender. Egg was perfectly marinated and even tasted a bit smoked. Cost Extremely expensive. Ordered 4 bowls of ramen, 2 karage, 1 gyoza, & a yuzu drink. Costed over 1,000 DKK or about $177USD. Service Absolute garbage. I ordered for everyone as soon as we sat, ahead of the table next to my party, and specified that I was in a big hurry and additionally asked if everything could be served at once. I was told yes. It took very long. Our table received each item we ordered, course by course. The table next to us got their ramen before we got our karage. Then we got our gyoza, they finished their ramen, and THEN we got our ramen (very late). I noted that we specifically requested to have everything brought at once and that we said we were in a hurry, but a different waitress than whom I placed my order with, Bay (Bae?), insisted that we must receive each item we ordered separately, not all together, even though that’s not what I was told. I told her I still mentioned we were in a hurry. She took no accountability, was snappy, and defensive. So rude. After, she had the nerve to mention that we only waited 6 minutes from the time the gyoza came out to when the ramen came, completely disregarding the entire point. It was unnecessary and typical of some rude European behavior I’ve seen. The ramen itself was great, but she and the service made it unenjoyable, hence my 1 star rating.
M Z — Google review
Came here with my brother as he'd heard great reviews about the ramen. Unfortunately we were left pretty disappointed and underwhelmed with the food. We may be a tougher crowd to please than the lines of predominantly tourists who were lined up waiting for seats as I've lived in Asia for more than a decade and we've traveled and had many an excellent bowl of ramen over the years. Shoyu ramen: Whilst the broth was quite good boasting a deep, rich flavour, the thin noodles arrived already a bit overdone meaning they got increasingly soft whilst finishing the bowl. The chasu was lacking in depth of flavor, was dry and not charred to bring out the characteristic taste of a chasu. The mushroom paste was a nice touch but didn't make up for the letdown on the noodles and chasu. Nduja Miso ramen: Ordered this specifically due to the base broth being advertised as a Tori Paitan, which traditionally boasts rich, creamy and deep flavors. Unfortunately these nuances were either completely overpowered by the Nduja miso tare or as I suspect perhaps not present in the broth from the outset. The lemon anchovy dressing drizzled on a couple of baby spinach leaves were a nice touch albeit may not be for everyone's palate. The plus of this bowl was the thicker noodles which were cooked well and still retained springyness and toothsome-ness. Whilst eating out in Copenhagen is expectedly pricey, at 175,- and 185,- per bowl, we'll definitely not be visiting Slurp again.
Sussi P — Google review
The noodles are delicious, the broth is fragrant, and the service is good. Free drinking water is provided. However, the taste is extremely salty, as if salt was accidentally spilled in. Many others also commented that it was too salty. I recommend reducing the amount of salt. The food took a long time to arrive about 40 minutes.

As a huge ramen fan who's travelled quite a bit and tried bowls all over the world – especially in Japan – I was really curious about Slurp Ramen. I’ve walked past it plenty of times and always noticed the long queues, especially filled with tourists, so I figured it was finally time to give it a shot. I had the spicy miso an Nduja ramen, and my husband went for the shoyu. On paper, it sounds like they’ve put real effort into the ingredients and the flavour profiles. But honestly, it just didn’t come through in the taste. The spicy miso sounded promising, but the flavour was surprisingly bland. Creamy, yes, and warm and comforting in that way, but not spicy, not punchy – just forgettable. The shoyu ramen my husband had was even less memorable – it really didn’t taste like much at all. And I want a fan af the eggs. They were very sweet Price-wise, it’s very expensive. 185 DKK, and for that, you'd expect something flavourful, and generous. But it really wasn’t worth it. I also tried the yuzu lemonade, which was actually quite nice. The restaurant itself has a hip, stylish vibe, but it didn't feel warm or welcoming. The service wasn’t that bad, just a bit impersonal. All in all, I’d give it 3 out of 5 stars. Not terrible, but overpriced, overhyped, and unfortunately very forgettable.
Anne L — Google review
I didn’t get the hype here… We paid about 1000 DKK ($160) for 3 bowls of ramen, 1 chicken karaage and couple drinks. I understood its CPH price but it’s not worth it. Ramen bowls were overly salty, and chicken karaage was hard like a rock that we couldn’t eat. Definitely not authentic and extremely overpriced. Our server was great, but we had to wait for a while for our orders to come. Such a disappointing experience!!!
Quyen H — Google review
Very disappointing experience. The dish was overpriced, bland, and lacked substance. Toppings were minimal—just a few green beans, a soft-boiled egg, tiny bits of scallions, and what appeared to be half a sorrel leaf plus a scoop of a strange substance (mushroom paste??), along with some wontons, marinated vegetables, and can of non-alcoholic beer —for $75. The broth was chicken-based rather than kelp and bonito, the noodles resembled instant ramen, and the chashu pork lacked flavor. The place was crowded and, surprisingly, had no restrooms. On the positive side, the service was decent, but overall, nothing worth returning for.
Sergei G — Google review
I began with the Amazu, followed by ramen paired with buckwheat tea. The whole set-up felt balanced and thoughtful. The Amazu was crisp and refreshing, and the ramen was layered with lots of depth. The buckwheat tea combination gave it grounding. Altogether, it was one of the most exciting ramen experiences I’ve had, and one I can highly recommend.

It’s a great concept of asian tapas restaurant where you can share a lot of flavorful dishes with your friends or family. We visited during their winter season menu, but I saw on instagram that they have switched to their Spring menu. I would definitely recommend the fried chicken and kimchi dumplings and the oyster with yuzu for starters. The baos are soft and fluffy like small clouds that they make fresh everyday. And the main courses are quite big so for a group of 5 people I would recommend 3-4 main courses. The atmosphere is nice but could use some touchups here and there. The service was great aswell and very helpful with recommendations for both food and drinks for everyone at our table. Highly recommend a visit, we will definitely be back!

This restaurant was close to our hotel, so on a whim we decided to have dinner there. We got a table right away, but only bc we were quite early (6pm). I suspect it's better to make reservations if you have dinner later. When we walked through the door I soon realised "this is gonna be expensive." And yes it was (at least for my bank account). I was also worth EVERY cent! It was so good, we're seriously considering traveling back to Copenhagen just for 1 day to go eat there again. The service was very helpful and friendly. Every single dish was delicious! My kid even liked the broccoli. I cannot recommend this place enough.

There were so good! We almost cancelled the main dish tonorder more of these. Looking forward to come back. You wont regret going here. We got a table on a friday night at around 1830 without reservation, but otherwise packed shortly after.

Cozy place to eat! The staff was very friendly and we got a table for a quick dinner even though we didn't have a reservation. The food was also very delicious 🤤

We had a really nice evening for a business meeting. As we were a party of 10, we had a fixed menu that comprised a series of smaller bites, followed by the main course (a nice and spicy curry), and a dessert. We had a small room to ourselves in the back of the restaurant, and it felt cozy and perfect for our event. The waitress was really nice and fun, and helped us through the evening in the best of ways. Food was really tasty, and the cocktail too (we had a series of pitchers).
Matteo B — Google review
Nice place with decent food. The selection of dishes were ok. I didn’t like that all of them were spicy. I’m not a very spice tolerant person so I was sniffling through the whole meal. The dessert was quite disappointing and not fitting to the theme. Feels like it could be improved.
Eda K — Google review
We had the Hanzo experience with 10 plates. The quality was good and you end up full. Also quite great service. I also have to highlight the bathroom. The coolest bathroom ever. I really appreciate when restaurants decide to put speakers in bathrooms. Thanks for that, Hanzo

Super restaurant with great food. We ordered the menu (experience) which was a great choice. The food was very delicious and the amount was good as well. Even is the price is a bit high (unfortunately Kopenhagen standards) it really was a experience. The extra choice was the tofu stir fry which had a good amount and was super delicious. We liked that the water was cheap (10kr for a bottle) and we had a super friendly waitress. We didn't like that we almost didn't got a table even though we ordered before. We were a group of six and sat in the middle of the small room. The room is cozy, the music gives a vibe, but there are too many people in such a small room.
Niklas L — Google review
I really enjoyed my night here. The food was very good, a mix of Japanese, Korean, Chinese and so on, very tasty and spicy just to the right level. I am a hearing Irishman and my friend is a deaf local person, I thought the staff dealt with us perfectly. They treated my friend as an equal very respectfully and without fuss. I would eat here again without hesitation.
Icelandic S — Google review
The food and service was good. However... we had booked a table for 1,5 hours (reserved the day before). After one hour (right after finishing the main course) the waitress came with the check and told us we had to leave because the table was now reserved for other guests. What if we wanted more food, dessert or coffee...????

We went there at 3 persons and had the 10 plates dishes. Very good taste and very good experience, service was fantastic ! Definitely recommend it ! Coming back there the next time in Copenhagen 😊

Ramen restaurant
Restaurant
Papa Ramen is a laid-back eatery that specializes in serving delicious ramen noodle soup, as well as bao bun sandwiches and gyoza. Known for their innovative approach to creating different broth bases and flavor combinations, they offer a wide range of ramen options, from traditional tonkotsu broth with pork to vegetarian alternatives. This allows guests to explore various taste experiences and find their personal favorite, whether they prefer meat or not.
An amazing ramen restaurant in the centre of Copenhagen! Their ramen dishes are delicious! There are options for every type of consumer and they have an original Japanese taste! (+ amazing starters like Bao buns and Gyozas) Their service is very welcoming, kind and warm. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a nice, warm ramen bowl 🤤 totally perfect during cold weather in Denmark!
George K — Google review
The place is fine and menu is ok. We had gyoza for starters and ramen for main course. The Ramen came before the starters! My ramen was ok with a nice spicy touch. The only problem was that the soup was not, but the ingredients were cold and just added to the soup, so it was a warm ramen and not hot. Chicken bits were somewhat cold inside.

Papa Ramen is a good ramen shop in Copenhagen. The food is good although a little pricier for the value. The broth could have a richer flavour compared to other ramen I have tried in general. Service was friendly and attentive.
Cuong L — Google review
I enjoyed an early dinner with a friend in this nice ramen shop. We ordered the papa combo, with two surprises from the chef and a ramen bowl of choice. My tonkatsu was nice but maybe I expected some more depth, it was almost too sweet. The extra dishes were nice, especially the tempura. Friendly service and lively yet relaxed atmosphere.
Matteo B — Google review
Food was delicious. Both starters and ramen. Delivered fast, although house was full. Good atmosphere, specially outside, coz inside was a bit loud. Better book tabel, to make sure you will have opportunity to sit and enjoy. 5/5

I had the Ramen TANTAN and my friend the Ramen TONKOTSU, both were very delicious!!
Sarah — Google review
Nicely designed small, friendly neighbourhood ramen restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Ramen and dumplings were authentic and top quality - easily as good as what we are used to at home in Vancouver or when visiting New York. Prices were very fair for a city as expensive as Copenhagen. Will definitely return for a relaxed lunch or dinner on our next trip.

I’ve passed this place many times and finally tried it. It was phenomenal! Ambiance, food quality and taste, display, friendliness, fast service; everything. Highly recommend! We will be coming back for sure. Ramen noodles are perfectly prepared and the chicken broth is very flavorful.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The staff was kind and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was beautifully presented and very delicious, every dish was a treat. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a fantastic dining experience in Copenhagen!

We had the tasting menu with a group of 4 friends. The atmosphere was nice and quiet. We were served by the owner who presented each dish. We found the food to be delicious! Our favourites of the night - strawberry kombucha which was incredibly flavourful; and the tiramisu dessert - soft and the right amount of sweet.
Todor A — Google review
This was such an amazing tasting experience. We had 8 course menu. Every single one of them was a unique tasting experience. When the owner explained the courses you could feel the love and time that has been put into the whole experience. It was very unique and not something you will experience in many places. Will advise anyone who wants an Umami experience to try this. And the prices are lower than what you would expect for such a great meal.
Martin J — Google review
We had an amazing experience dining with Peter. The concept is very unique and the place and the food are full of personality. Each meal is super interesting and make sure to have the staff explain it to you. It is a must for any fermentation curious in Copenhagen, all the while the food is actually just very good, subtle and balanced, not just “funky”. Vegetarian and Sea small plates were just fantastic. The sake list and the manna wines on the drinks menu are such an experience as well. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an original experience.
AG — Google review
Very flavorful food presented with a clear understanding of how the ingredients are meant to work together. The owner was personally serving many tables who were getting sake pairings and the tasting menu. We opted for vegetarian ramen and it was excellent as well. I wouldn't use the term "izakaya" because for me that conjures a more raucous and bar-like atmosphere, but the dining room is a quiet, partially underground space that was very tastefully decorated. Overall a great experience for Japanese in Copenhagen.
Bret S — Google review
Delightful dining experience with wonderful homemade dishes combining super fresh with aged and fermented. We had the tasting menu and were more than happy with all servings. Following the advice from the chef/owner/waiter we also tried some of the Sake he recommended. Definitely something to try out when you have the chance. We will return again another day and try other servings from the menu.
Gregers J — Google review
The drinks were really good (we got mocktails!). The starters were really enjoyable, but unfortunately the mains were a bit disappointing - it was not really clear whether the rice was supposed to be hot or cold and it was a bit grainy. When the waiter asked us if we had any questions, he couldn’t really explain what any of the items on the menu were, but he was otherwise nice.
Sophia S — Google review
A truly hidden gem! Had a fantastic evening here full of new unexpected flavours made by a talented chef who also seems to run the place. He knows a lot about ingredients and food in general, every dish was creative, yet so carefully thought through and we truly enjoyed every bite. An extremely stylish interior and unique atmosphere are definitely a plus!! We had kimchi, gyozas, fermented mushrooms (so good!!), ramen and sashimi selection and loved everything! Can definitely recommend this restaurant for everyone who wants to try something new and not just basic typical things that every other place in Copenhagen has. Can't wait to come back for the tasting menu!

Tucked away on a quiet street in Copenhagen, this charming Latin American restaurant is a 💎. Its cozy atmosphere and welcoming staff is an escape from the city’s hustle and a flavorful journey far beyond Scandinavia. I opted for the tasting menu, and every course was beautifully executed. The highlight for me was the chicken thigh main course which was moist, flavorful and with perfectly crisp skin. I also really enjoyed the ice cream dessert. The pacing of the meal was spot-on, allowing us to savor each course without ever feeling rushed. If you’re in Copenhagen and looking for something special, Gorda is absolutely worth a visit. My only wish is that the chairs were more comfortable.
Axxley — Google review
Great food, originally, funny and fitting ambiance, fast and nice service, relaxing or powerful good background music (Bossa, Latin, Jazz, Funk). I‘ve chosen a mixture of different tastes. Everything was great for itself but my combo made it perfect. The chicken wings are absolute madness - try them otherwise you will regret it.
Frank H — Google review
Busy - indoor and outdoor seating. Most people got set menu. We did not. We’re not too hungry but searched empanadas on google maps and this place popped up. It was literally 300 feet from our accommodations and reviews were amazing so we decided to check it out. Glad we did!
Anastasia P — Google review
On a whim, tried this place on my first night in Copenhagen, and it was an awesome decision. All the dishes were amazing, i got the set menu. My highlights were the tomato tostada, the ceviche and the salad! It was SO much food. Im gonna go back to get that ceviche again and pick up some empanadas.

Absolutely loved it! This is now one of our top places in Copenhagen. We had the tasting menu and every single dish was delicious — the balance, the pacing, the flavours… everything was spot on. The ceviche and the flan dessert were definite highlights for me. The staff were the nicest — super accommodating, genuinely engaged, and clearly passionate about what they do. Can’t wait for the next menu changes so we can go back and try new things! (No pictures this time — we were too busy enjoying the food!)

This place was very nice to visit. The decor is interesting to say the least - especially the restroom. The service is in top - very polite and professional crew. One from Venezuela and one from Spain the day we visited. The food is absolutely amazing. We all went for the set menu and were all full when leaving the restaurant afterwards. Their margaritas are tasty but quite small for a margarita. I believe the water could be free when you order cocktails and/or wine. Fine you pay for tap water if you do not order anything else to drink. Overall a very nice experience. Definitely a place to visit when in the area.

It's a popular spot in Copenhagen, known for its authentic and flavor-packed Asian cuisine. Visitors can expect to savor an array of dishes that showcase the rich flavors of Taiwanese food.
I love this place! I came here the first time I visited Copenhagen and so I had to come back the second time to try more dishes. For Copenhagen this place is pretty good value for money, and the food is delicious. It’s small so there might be a bit of a wait, but they have some outdoor seating too. This time around I tried a bao and their pan fried dumplings which were so good. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!
Jon W — Google review
Great place for Taiwanese food with some good veggie options. The veggie dumpling (green one) was delicious. I also had the purple bun, it was nice and fresh but a bit too plain for me. The spring rolls were good, and tasted better once they cooled down a bit. The place is small and cosy, and be ready to share a table.

I went here numerous of time when I was in CPH. I had tried all of the dishes on the menu and I loved them all. It’s a great place for Taiwanese food and boba tea. Must order dishes are the fried duck special, pork meatball soup, braised pork rice, boba milk tea and lychee black tea. Good portion. Standard Danish price. Service was friendly and quick.
Quyen H — Google review
One of my absolute favorite places for Asian food! Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious, so you really can’t go wrong. I always order the potstick dumplings—they’re a must-try—but honestly, you could pick anything, and it will taste amazing. Some other favorites of mine are the bao with pork belly and the popcorn chicken. I also tried the milk tea with brown sugar which was really good. The restaurant itself isn’t very big, but very cozy and intimate. It’s perfect for a date night or catching up with a close friend. If you’re a fan of Asian cuisine and enjoy shareable dishes, I’d highly recommend giving this hidden gem a try.

Solid food, good & nothing to complain 👍Authentic joint. Somehow didn‘t blow my mind though…. And standard Danish prices, not exactly cheap.

Food is ok. Loved taiwanese food. I thinks i missed the umami or intense taste of the braised pork belly . It left me unsatisfied. My partner ordered crispy chicken bao. I have this drink that is not really refreshing and find it weird as combo with other ingredients. Its a sour and i have grass jelly . Cant remember the name. The place is small and compact.

Excellent restaurant with a nice cozy feel with the interior decoration. The selection of food in the Mediterranean buffet was incredible, and even more amazed that it was all vegetarian. I had lunch at Riz Raz today and absolutely loved it! The vegetarian buffet was wonderful — full of flavour, colour and variety. There was an amazing selection of dishes, from delicious pastas and perfectly seasoned vegetables to heavenly falafel. Everything tasted fresh and full of life. The service was outstanding, especially thanks to Ibrahim, who was incredibly kind and professional. His friendly attitude and warm smile truly made the experience even better. The restaurant itself is beautiful — cozy, elegant, and welcoming. It has such a lovely atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment you walk in. I found the vegetarian/vegan buffet very nice. Lots of options to choose from, most of them vegan! I really liked their falafels and hummus. Also enjoyed their kale salad, lettuce salad with chickpeas and roasted potatoes. All in all, it’s very nice if you enjoy both warm and cold dishes. The lunch buffet costs 145kr, I also ordered a glass of water which brought the total to 160kr, which I think I quite budget friendly

The food is fresh and delicious, many options to choose from the Mediterranean buffet. You can refill the plate as many times you dare, and the waiters make sure to continuously bring food. Thus, we had to pay extra for the tap water, while the toilets could be cleaner (there is one single soup bottle moved around 4 sinks, and people use toilet paper to dry their hands). We haven't interacted much with the waiters, everything was self-service, the dirty plates were not discharged and we waited 10 mins to pay.

Souls Deli is a vegan cafe in Copenhagen founded by Australian entrepreneur Jason Renwick in 2016. The restaurant offers a seasonal plant-based menu with surprises for diners, featuring dishes like barbecued blue oyster mushrooms and turnip with apple and macadamia. It has been recognized with awards such as Best Up-and-Coming Restaurant, Most Sustainable Restaurant, and Best Vegan Restaurant in Copenhagen.
Vegan stall at Torvehallerne Food Hall near Nørreport Metro station (walking distance from many popular city attractions such as Rosenborg Castle). Serving savoury street food, i.e. burgers and alcohol, alfresco style. Both cash and card accepted. Friendly staff. Opened by the same owner behind other more upscale vegan eateries in Copenhagen - Beyla, Bistro Lupa, and ARK. I enjoyed the craft burgers that I ordered (Gochujang Tempeh Burger and BBQ Cheeseburger)!

This is a vegan burger joint in a food court in the city centre. There's outside seating in the food court, which is nice when the weather is good, but it's usually crowded. The place offers two types of burgers and you can choose whether you want to add fries and sauce. Staff is very friendly and helpful in explaining the options. I had the BBQ burger with fries and chilli mayo. I liked the burger and you get a really good portion of fries, so it's pretty filling. It's a great choice for when you want comfort food. I found the food really tasty and reasonably priced, and it kept me going all day while exploring the city.

Good ole’ vegan junk food. What’s not to love?! Had the beyond burger, fries and an IPA. Everything was perfect and delicious. Friendly service as well.
Corbett F — Google review
On our visit to Torvehallerne, we sat near Souls. After half an hour, I decided to try one of their burgers because the staff working the grill just looked like they were truly enjoying themselves. Spoiler: I’m so glad I did! I honestly had low expectations since I’m not vegan and usually gravitate toward the “real thing.” But this burger was honestly fantastic. The patty had a hearty bite, the seasoning and sauces packed a ton of flavor, and the whole burger just came together beautifully. What really surprised me, though, was how good I felt after eating it—satisfied but not weighed down, with no heavy, greasy feeling. While sitting next to Souls, I watched more than a few people walk up, notice it was a vegan-specific menu, and then turn away for something else. Big mistake. I feel like if you’re reading this and you’re on the fence about vegan food (or just generally skeptical about “fake” burgers), you should give Souls a fair shot. This was easily one of the best burgers I had in Copenhagen—vegan, vegetarian, or otherwise. I’m still honestly surprised it was entirely plant-based because the amount of flavor and texture they’ve managed to build into that sandwich is wild. Bottom line: don’t walk away just because it’s vegan. Highly recommended.

Im not going to lie, this is the best burger I have had in years! It's so freaking delicious, the beyond burger meat is melt in your mouth good and full of flavour. Do yourself a favour and check it out.

Vegetarian food at its best ! Baka da’Busk is a real gem in Copenhagen. The food was not only delicious but also a feast for the eyes, full of colors, creativity and flavor. The wine selection was spot on and paired beautifully with the dishes. The vibe of the place was fantastic with a relaxed and effortless flow to the service that made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Bonus points for the great music selection that completed the atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back !

Our Airbnb host recommended Baka d’ Busk while we were in Copenhagen for two weeks, and I’m so glad we went. Tucked away in the cool Nørrebro neighbourhood, this place instantly feels like a local gem; relaxed, creative, and full of good energy. The owners have such a beautiful philosophy around food everything is grown with care, sourced locally, and celebrated for its natural flavour. You can tell how much heart they put into every dish, and the menu really lets organic seasonal vegetables and fruits take the spotlight. The food was incredible!! So fresh, full of texture and flavour, and the service was just lovely. My belly was so full and happy as the sun kissed our skin. I eat tomatoes all the time and absolutely love them. When i tasted the Danish tomatoes with hazelnut cream, shiso leaves and raspberries- This dish completely blew me away! Other highlights were the new potatoes with sorrel, cabbage, and yuzu beurre blanc, carrots, dill, white asparagus, green beans and spinach purée- YUMMY and the pickled radish with sweet nuts and honey — absolutely wow! Baka d’ Busk makes vegetables sing. I love how they prove that plant based dining can be exciting, comforting and deeply satisfying. When in Copenhagen, do yourself a favour and put this one high on your list!

The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they do. It’s rare to find a place that nails both the food and the experience — this one does. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately not really convincing visit at this vegetarian restaurant. Lame humus without rich flavours, despite the pretty look. Pumpkin, carrot dish which could in theory convince with a variety of raw, baked, charred vegetables. Still it was not executed great, so you had cold carrots and a bit of tasteless leafs to pimp it up. The variation of beans with pimentos was the only good dish at this restaurant in all its simplicity. The service was a wide selection of young eclectic personas, more interested in their own growing appearance, than an honest basic customer service.

I had a glass of wine and a dessert and I was having a pleasure being served partly by Marie-Kristine. Working in the restaurant industry for 20+ years I just have to say this was an absolute pleasure to see that people still work like that in this industry. She worked beautifully. While constantly working extremely hard she still had an eye on what's going around her. Effortlessly she was having a chat with guests but keeping everything on the highest speed and standards. I must say the restaurant is lucky to have her working for the place.

Hello vegans and fans of veganism! Yellow Rose is the perfect vegan café with everything a vegan, who loves to eat, needs. They have brunch a delicious menu with something sweet, salty, sour, greasy, green, cheezy and fresh. It's so so good and worth every penny. Their tofu scramble is deliiiiish!

Lovely cafe with cozy and comfy seating areas. I had an American sandwich and hot chocolate, both were lovely. I could have happily sat here all afternoon watching the world go by.

You have got to visit Yellow Rose. Delicious food, cakes and homemade lemonades. All plant based and very nicely served.
Birthe L — Google review
Great fresh vegan food for a good price in a cute little cafe right in the city centre
Mathisse M — Google review
Nice vegan style place, but with very capable Danish bakers who could use the best ingredients from vegan diets to create very tasty cakes, buns, rolls and sandwiches. Highly recommended eating area, and a slightly too sweet chai latte is to be recommended.

Me and a friend had 2 matcha lattes, a huge cookie and a banana muffin with peanut butter frosting. All of it very delicious. The staff was very friendly and the ambience beautiful and cozy. I totally love that place, it's small but soo nice. It was the first time I experienced the "hygge" feeling :)
