Organic restaurant
Salad shop
Mr. Farmer is a renowned farm-to-table restaurant in Tokyo, known for its focus on beauty and health through food. The establishment prides itself on using fresh vegetables sourced directly from local Japanese farmers to create handcrafted dishes like salads, bread, omelets, and cold-pressed juices. Catering to various dietary preferences, including vegan and gluten-free diets, the menu offers a wide array of high-protein and low-calorie options that are both delicious and nutritious.
Really delicious vegan cafe in Tokyo. I am not vegan but loved the food! Had the taco bowl and they were able to accommodate my request for no coriander. It’s a little oasis of calm after Takeshita street!
Jessica S — Google review
I’m not vegan but I would love to be someday. I find the food really healthy and delicious. I ordered the all green salad and carrot cake. The salad was very filling and my body felt love because I was able to feed it different kinds of veggies in one bowl. It was flavorful and I loved the variety of veggies. I love carrot cake but I wasn’t a big fan of their carrot cake. It was crumbly, and not that moist, but still acceptable texture including the frosting. I tried to finish it because it was pricey but I gave up. For a vegan cake, it’s not bad but I like my carrot cake moist and with cream cheese frosting. I will definitely come back and try their other menu items.
Paper H — Google review
As a vegan, I always want to hype up vegan places, but there really was nothing special about this place. The food was truly mid. The potato wedges were a bit dry and hard, the burger tasted generic, the carrot cake was dry, the ice cream like something from the grocery store. It wasn’t bad, and it’s always nice to be able to find vegan food somewhere, but I can’t recommend it.
Ned U — Google review
I got the taco salad and it was sooo good and refreshing, exactly what I needed during a hot day in the city. I am not vegan but it was still delicious and would recommend. There was WiFi too
Camille B — Google review
I ate yesterday the soja burger and glutenfree cheesecake. It was amazingly delicious!!! Just the fries could be more (just 5). Besides that it is very good!
Eve L — Google review
This is exactly what you want and need for a vegan cafe in one’s neighborhood , a great selection of salads, burgers and rice dishes. The price is reasonable, and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Plenty of soy meat products to give vegan food a boost in protein. Thank you
Frances S — Google review
Shibuya Vegan Restaurant with tasty fresh dishes. We loved the Loco Moco dish. It’s a bit pricey but still delicious.
Neil T — Google review
I enjoyed my green salad very much. The balance of all the green veggies, with the smallest pop of a red lettuce in it was excellent. The dressing was a outstanding pesto, which I almost wished for more of, however I was so glad to be able to taste and appreciate each of my vegetables individually, again harmony. The tiramisu was vegan and gf, as were all the desserts. This dessert was great as a df gf customer. What we would have liked more of, a few more gluten free options on the savory menu. The green salad was the solitary option. No soup or warm food was gluten free on the entire menu. Many vegan people would like this choice. I am celiac, and found your restaurant on Atly, a gluten free restaurant App. It would only enhance the menu to have 1 soup and 1 warm meal. This would raise the stars to 5 stars!🌟

Restaurant
Crisp Salad Works Shinjuku Minamiguchi is part of a chain with multiple locations in eastern Tokyo, offering a variety of raw vegetable options and gluten-free choices. The Azabu-juban Branch, established in 2014, focuses on serving salad bowls as main dishes rather than just sides or diet food. Customers can customize their salads with an array of vegetables, cheese, protein options like chicken or ham, and various dressings.
Omg!!! This is my go to spot after a workout! I'm here like 5 times per week! I had noooo idea a salad was this delicious til I made my first order from this store, about two months ago! I love this store and the Products avail (the salads) loolz... The staff are friendly and the store is very clean, convenient location in Shinjuku and has a very great menu with seasonal salads too! I also love that the menu has the caloric content for each meal! Everything is healthy and that's why I stop here after each workout! I've tried almost all of the salads on the menu and I always add additional toppings to my salads like corn and even eggs! I highly recommend the Cal-Mex ! It's theee best!💯 Wonderful variety of options to choose from and customize your salads to your likings too! I always use spinach and wild rice for my bar for all of my Salads too! You won't be disappointed! Try it today! Also, it's not like your cliché idea of a salad! It's well mixed and minced or chopped in bite sizes! It's aaaaamazing ‼️
Ms M — Google review
Built my own slad, it came with some soup. Everything tasted fresh and crisp. I feel my fiber levels rising steadily after many days of eating rice and noodles.. It's on the expensive side, though.
Roni G — Google review
Really tastes like a good Californian healthy salad bar. Clean, modern, lots of space. The salad here tastes really good! I usually customize my order. Order punch of veggies, salmon/chicken, eggs, avocado and always tahini sauce. It’s soooo delicious!
Chi N — Google review
Fresh ingredients, a large selection of toppings on the menu and the opportunity to create a salad to your own taste😋
Tiffany H — Google review
My friend and I ordered salads here and we're very disappointed to receive bowls that were basically half full. I had even ordered extra broccoli and can't imagine how much more empty what I received would have been had I not added the extra. Not sure what happened. Maybe we got less because we were tourists? Or new staff who don't know what they are doing? All to say don't come here. My salad plus drink came to 1800 yen, my friend's salad and drink came up to 2200 yen - and it was not enough food for the price.
Shannon J — Google review
It was okay. The salad was delicious and the portion was big, but the ordering system (and payment) was too complicated. For some reason, you had to enter your phone number and you could only pay by card. As there were just three ordering points, there was a queue so the ordering system took way longer than it could have. The staff was nice and polite, though. I wouldn’t go there again unless I was in the area (it’s quite far from the Shinjuku station) or really craving a salad. 3/4 stars.
Hana H — Google review
The worst overpriced salad you can get. First of all this place makes a good impression. Than you get in and its just a cold cold atmosphere. Than after you registered with your phone number (for no reason) you get to order. During my wait i watched them cut their salad and tomatoes. Absolutely horrible skills of the staff. I understand its mostly parttime workers but you can give them some training and support. Than the salad itself. I already saw it coming but it was even worse. Total mess!! The way how they have cut the vegetables is just ugly and makes it unenjoyable. Even the salad was smashed and dark at the edges. Fresh cut salad doesn’t look that way. The dressing itself was okay but too sour.
R. S — Google review
My favorite chopped salad restaurant near Shinjuku station. It’s located at not so popular place so the store won’t be crowded. Completely cashless. App order is also available.

Green Brothers is a popular salad bowl bar that originated in New York and expanded to Ebisu Tokyo in 2016. It has gained popularity among New Yorkers as a main dish, offering nourishing salads for both men and health-conscious women. The Tokyo branch allows customers to create custom salads with a variety of vegetables, toppings, and delicious dressings. However, seating can be limited during peak times, especially in the summer.
The salad here is pretty good. They always have interesting seasonal salads that I want to try but my go-to is the green brothers salad. They let you switch up one ingredient and so you can really customize it to your liking which I appreciate. (Or u can create your own salad) The cashier here is also very nice and always smiling which def adds to the positive atmosphere of the place :)

Nice to have a rare salad shop in Japan. Tasty salad with lots of customizations! The pre-set salad is good too because you can add ingredients to it. Free slice of bread 👍🏻

I love the avocado shrimp salad with fried onion. But the soup pasta was just normal.
A. W — Google review
Fresh and delicious salad, amazing service and beautiful place to enjoy a healthy and nourishing lunch/dinner.
WL W — Google review
Both staff members were extremely friendly and patient with me as I struggled to order with poor Japanese. Salad was also tasty and not too cold and dry like your typical salad. Can customise so would suit vegetarians and vegans
Josie S — Google review
Good service and attentive staff❤️. They always give a nice full bowl! 🥗 For the atmosphere more genki potted plants🕊️🪴🌿 would be nice👍🏾🙏🏽
Zed S — Google review
The salad was OK but the greens weren’t the freshest. The kale was already wilted and the romaine discolored which means it was at least about a week old. I kind of expected more freshness considering the positive reviews. Once the vegetables were dressed, the lack of freshness is well disguised. Not many great salad options in Tokyo, so I might return to try again, but was a bit disappointed on my first visit

If you’re looking for a salad spot in Tokyo, this place is super close to Ebisu station (less than 5 min walk) and really great for a quick bite!

Cafe
Nestled in the heart of Koenji, City is a delightful café that feels like stepping into a friend's kitchen. Run by the amiable Tashiro-san, this cozy spot serves up expertly crafted pour-over coffee from behind its charming breakfast bar. With minimalistic decor featuring just a few tables and an inviting bookshelf filled with carefully curated CDs, City exudes a calm and homely vibe that's perfect for relaxation.
We stumbled upon this cafe when we needed a refreshment and rest. So happy we found it! It’s a cozy atmosphere with a kind atmosphere and has an English menu available. The cafe au lait was good, and the black tea was incredible. Would definitely recommend!
Jessica T — Google review
An elegant and peaceful haven, perfect for those who appreciate a space that feels both stylish and soulful. The ambiance is a blend of dark, edgy aesthetics with a touch of serenity that invites contemplation. Every detail seems carefully chosen to create a lovely balance between stylish simplicity and artistic flair. The space also has endearing art pieces that makes you curious without overwhelming the senses. I felt like I was stepping into the owner's home and getting a sneak peek of the many things he loves and cares about.
Jane L — Google review
A small coffee shop tucked away in the residential neighborhood of Koenji. Authentic coffee and oldies music in the background.
Sho Y — Google review
Nice little coffee shop with stylish interior. Coffee is light and the cheesecake is tiny. A bit average when you think of the prices charged. A small cup of coffee and a piece of cake will set you back ¥1,000. I can’t read kanji so I didn’t understand that photos are not allowed. Also studying is not allowed or working on a laptop or staying for long. Which, I do understand - it would take away from the ambience but I really wanted to read a book over coffee and cheesecake and felt a tad uncomfortable//
Mia P — Google review
I don't like this shop. We took pictures of drinks but were reminded while we were just taking pictures of drinks? The barista then just looked and behaved at us. Normal latte but milk tea is quite bad
Oreo — Google review
Could be a nice little place, but my friend and I didn't enjoy being told to shut up by the manager while having a conversation at a normal volume*. If you, as the manager, want to micromanage the environment that much (there are also rules against taking photos, using laptops for any period of time etc.) I don't understand why you'd get into a customer service business. *You might be thinking, "oh I bet they were just being loud gaijin", but we weren't, honest!

The restaurant offers fully customizable salad options, allowing customers to adjust the amount of dressing and specify the chop size of their lettuce. With a variety of fresh vegetables, dressings, and meats, patrons can create their own salads or wraps according to their preferences. The friendly English-speaking staff provides excellent service in a cozy and clean environment with a beautiful atmosphere.

Very tasty and big portions salads!! They have many types and you can even make it on your own, according to your taste. Very friendly English speaking and thoughtful staff. Very recommended
Valentina B — Google review
Paid ¥1,200 for my omega 3 salad with smoked salmon. The dressing is too sour and there is no flavor to it whatsoever - will finish it as I don't want my money to go further down to waste. You can request how you'd like to have you salad chopped, asked for small pieces but as you can see in the picture it's still too big... They sell a nice bottled 100% carrot juice which is very tasty and the interior design is nice but that's honestly about it. I'm super disappointed about this place and won't come again / recommend this to people.
N. B — Google review
The salad is ok. The restaurant is very cosy and clean and there is a nice atmosphere. The staff is friendly and the neighborhood is beautiful. Portions could be bigger.
Filippo — Google review
I used to love this place, the ambiance is nice, the decoration modern and clean, but recently the quantity and quality of the food has been decreasing and price rising. Still is a good option to grab some healthy lunch with FRESH ingredients!
A T — Google review
Great place, seats are good for big groups! Tons of healthy ingredients to choose from, very vegan/vegetarian friendly :)
Cam — Google review
Really fresh and tasty wrap! I had the Hail Caesar. I'm not usually a big salad or veggie eater, but this place was excellent and I'd definitely come here again.
Kalynn E — Google review
The quality and service is fine, my complaint is with the portions and the amount of "premium" topping you get: it's miniscule. So don't come here on a empty belly.

Deli
Margo Salad & Deli is a popular spot in Shinjuku known for its focus on well-being and sustainability. They offer made-to-order salads with a variety of toppings such as seasoned or grilled chicken, salmon, mackerel, and shrimp. The salads are fresh and well-prepared with the option to choose your own dressing and additional toppings like mushrooms, veggies, and dried onions. In addition to the customizable salads, they also have pre-made salads and bentos available for purchase.
Konjac bread is so special. Must! Heat it up (with microwave or anything), taste so good! If not reheat it, it will taste like stone!

Made to order salads, tons of toppings options ie chicken seasoned or grilled, raw or cooked fish ie salmon, mackerel, shrimps...fresh & well prepared with your choice of dressing and/or toppings ie mushrooms, veggies, dried onions & more. Also available are pre-made salads & bentos...I'd stay away from the kimchi beef option, beef was chewy. Average salad bowl Y980 each.

Amazing food and open all hours - so so tasty and very friendly staff who were able to help us with our non-existent Japanese. Best salads and veggies we’ve had during our 3 week visit to Japan.
Breno B — Google review
A really large volume! When they say large they mean it😅 The salmon salad was nice, service fast, and staff friendly!
Milly M — Google review
They serve terribly tasty and nearly artistic salad bowls for one full-meal, but one should expect 1 to 2k yen to either take-away or eat-upstairs. Many well off high-health-conscious people, mainly ladies, have been supporting this unique salad restaurant for over 10 years, I believe.
Xiro ( — Google review
The portions are large and there are a lot of options to choose from. You can choose from pre made salads or create your own. The seating area upstairs is clean and specious. A bit pricey.

喫茶Citron offers a sleek and modern interior with concrete walls, low-set timber tables, and windowsills adorned with flowers. The menu focuses on healthy and colorful vegetarian dishes such as quiche, vegetable gratin, sandwiches, and salads. While the cafe can be dimly lit at night, it's a great spot to indulge in delectable sweets and alcohol-free beverages.

It looked like a hideout, so I looked at the map and wandered around the residential area!! I think many people will get lost, so please provide easy-to-understand access... After exiting the north exit of Koenji Station, turn right and go straight past McDonald's. As you walk along Nakadori shopping street, you will find a 7-Eleven, so just go straight down the alley on the right! When you open the Western-style door, you will find a stylish space surrounded by antiques and brocante furniture. There are only 7 table and counter seats, so you'll be lucky if you get in! I guess weekdays are my aim... Apparently it's open on Saturdays and Sundays as well. I was surprised to see the colorful menu. Anyway, there are many types of alcohol and coffee. It was made by cutting paper and was handwritten by the clerk. I can feel the commitment to this store. In addition to alcohol, they also have baked goods, toast, and parfaits, so if you're looking for a light meal, you'll be satisfied. The Shine Muscat Sundae is filled with fresh cream and sprinkled with cranberries and nuts. The elegant sweetness of Shine Muscat and the sourness of the berries are delicious☺️. "Grand Marnier Coffee" dried orange is cute! The orange liqueur is quite strong, so be careful if you don't like alcohol. The taste reminds me of Irish coffee🌙. On the way, a person who seemed to be a regular customer came to the counter. The female clerk has a similar vibe to my favorite super singer, Seiko Omori (I'm sorry...) I wanted to talk for a while, but something happened! I think the price is set taking into account the atmosphere and the time of day. The taste itself wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly noteworthy. Also, the air conditioning was not very effective even though it was midsummer, which lowered my rating. 〈2025/07〉

Perhaps because it is open at night, the surroundings are dark and there are no street lights in front of the store. The brightness of the shop on the second floor is stronger, with only a small amount of light leaking from the shop visible. When you open the door that makes you hesitate to enter, you will find a table with a counter and three chairs. It will probably be full with about four groups. The music playing in the dark atmosphere was not popular. Not even a classic. The menu is extensive and I couldn't understand it at first glance, so when I asked the owner, he explained it in detail. I ordered a cake and milk set, and I was happy with how beautiful it looked. Green honey-soaked cherries? I want to stuff my cheeks about eight times. The milk was sweet, and it matched the sweetness of the cheesecake and the bitterness of the base, but I also wanted something less sweet, like tea or coffee. New York Grill is an upscale restaurant in Tokyo, offering a NYC-inspired ambiance with stunning city views and live jazz music. Located on the 52nd floor of Park Hyatt, this venue provides a unique dining experience. The restaurant features an open kitchen and a glass wall that creates the illusion of a sheer drop-off, adding to its dramatic setting.
When in Tokyo, one must at least try the weekend brunch for once in this elegant room. Not just because it sits on the 52nd floor of the Park Hyatt Hotel, the food is also immaculately prepared with lots of options on the buffet line. You will be moved to another room where the musicians are performing for your dessert and drinks if preferred. Staffs are welcoming and friendly. Service wise, they might want to pay a little more attention. For my experience, my empty plate wasn’t clear after I return to my table. 9900¥ after tax per person is well worth the dining experience and the view (even on a rainy day)

Before renovation I came for the holiday lunch buffet. The plan was golden week only and included a glass of champagne. My first time came, it need some time to find out the restaurant. View gorgeous, food ok, presentation added much points. Everything was beautiful. Highly recommend baked ricotta cheese, cheesecake, Vanilla ice-cream, sourdough bread, and should have the Champagne. Services really good, but some dining corners were strange such as mine was just one step near the stairs, and the wash room was quite small for a 5 star Hotel. Other than that, the dining experience was great in a beautiful environment with beautiful food. It's worth for it. 2/5/24 JGW 🍽🍾

We decided to dine here on our last night in Tokyo after a 3 week honeymoon. We reserved for a 6:30pm reservation a week in advance so we could see the skyline from daylight to night. And the view did not disappoint! However, just before leaving our hotel we realised there is a dress code, it's on the website so we should have known, but we didn't have that formal clothes with us so we muddled something together. It's generally smart dress, with Japanese in mainly business wear. We decided to order from the a la carte menu (but there is a set menu too) with a birthday gift budget of $250. We both ordered starters and main courses. My husband had steak which bumped the price up. I had two glasses of wine and my husband had one. However, including service charge we actually ended up spending $300. Overall our food was nicely cooked and everything tasted nice, but we both found it a little too rich. My bigger issue was my glass of Riesling was far too sweet, almost sickly. I expect if I see a Riesling on the menu of an upscale restaurant it will be dry, especially a California Riesling- but maybe my mistake for ordering it. Our only other slightly odd issue is it felt weird having modern European food with a California wine list in Japan.

I’ve had lunch here twice now and the food was amazing! You get a appetizer buffet which was really delicious - there was a variety of food to choose from which was all really tasty. The main course was also really good (had steak). The flavor of all the food was amazing. To top that off they do complimentary message plates if you are celebrating something which was a pleasant surprise for the birthday boy. The cakes and ice cream were also really good! The service was amazing too. And the view is just incredible. I also liked that we moved to the lounge after finishing the main course where we could see more of Tokyo and eat sweets and have some tea. This is definitely worth a try.

Decided to make a reservation here for my birthday and loved the ambience. We were seated with one of the best seats in the house! The buffet style starters as well as dessert course were delicious to say the least. Give the key lime pie a try if you can! For the main course we opted for the chick pea curry and seafood pasta! Both were so tasty. Thank you for the perfect end to our Tokyo trip!

It can only be 5 stars. This was my third visit to this restaurant (lunch), each time has been amazing. It is upmarket for what I am used to and they really control your movements, maybe due to Covid restrictions or because we are uncultured savages, you have to follow the meal flow strictly and the staff are super attentive. The buffet is the absolute best. Every single thing is fantastic and delightful to the palate, I’d eaten 2 plates full before my main even arrived. I was tempted to grab the bowls of ricotta cheese and bacon and trough them down. Salmon is fantastic as are all of the sauces and dressings available. My main today was the American sirloin with mash and asparagus. It was ok, not the best steak I’ve had but pretty damn good, just the right size as well. In the future I’d get the fish or chicken again. After all that food…. desert time!!!! Back to the buffet for amazing cakes, ice cream, pastries and all goodies! The staff will offer tea or coffee with your desert and it’s good stuff. It’s on the 52nd floor and offers an amazing view of Tokyo. You really feel the special environment of this restaurant. Great for dates, get togethers, celebrations or any damn reason you can think of. Just go. Cost is just over 7000yen per person. That is 1000% worth it for the food, service, location, everything. I’d pay 7000 just for the buffet lol. Use the bathrooms at the top of the first elevator….. super fancy.

An amazing holiday lunch buffet and main on the 52nd floor. Amazing selections and flavors, with carefully selected sauces for each meat preparation. After your meal, move over to the lounge area for coffee and dessert. Be sure to try to ice cream station and the cheese cake with cherry sauce. The Grill is also amazing for dinner and drinks, but will save that for a separate post!

Udon noodle restaurant

Japanese restaurant
Tsurutontan Shinjuku is a popular spot in Tokyo known for its freshly made udon noodles and enormous, oversized bowls of savory goodness. The open kitchen allows diners to watch as the udon is prepared with precision, then combined with various broths and toppings like shrimp tempura or truffle cream. The restaurant offers a wide range of broth options, from traditional Japanese styles to fusion creations.
I visited “Tsurutontan” for a late-night meal for the first time in a while. Even around midnight, the restaurant was lively—classic Kabukicho vibes! I ordered my favorite dish, the cold mentaiko udon, with an extra topping of mentaiko. The generous amount of mentaiko paired with the chewy udon was simply perfect. Tsurutontan’s udon never fails to impress. It’s such a treat to enjoy food of this quality late at night. With options like sashimi and small dishes, it’s also a great spot for casual izakaya-style dining. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Served a carbonara udon the size of my head, full of flavour and packed with tasty ingredients with thin (you can choose) udon, perfection. Such good value in a upmarket space. Service was lovely and loved sitting at the bar in the love seats. Googled "best udon near me" and googles recommendation absolutely delivered.

There was a line when we went but it moved fast. What I liked about the place was the ordering process. Ordered on a tablet so we took our time determining what we wanted. Ordered beef udon and shabu udon. Loved the option to customize. We weren’t that hungry so ordered with half the noodles and all the vegetables. After ordering the food came up pretty quickly. Food was great! The smoke salmon was really good and the way they presented it was just so fun.

Great place to have Udon located in Kabukicho area. Great choices of different kind of Udon, some are original and other more traditional. The Udon are perfectly cooked and the dish are really tasty, not too salty, just as it need. Be careful about the portion you chose, you might have a huge portion. Some side dishes as karaage are available too. The atmosphere is a bit stylish, bit sifted without being kitsch. The staff is friendly. You might have to wait a bit before being sitted.

Beef udon and Zaru udon was okay. Go for the thin udon as they are much more chewy and easier to bite, compared to the regular udon.

Ain Soph. Journey Shinjuku is a part of the Ain Soph vegan restaurant chain and offers a varied menu of plant-based and gluten-free options. Unlike its fast food counterpart, this branch provides an extensive selection of dishes including Gluten-Free Pasta Lunch and Heavenly Pancakes. The English menus with detailed ingredient and allergen information make it stand out in Japan. The cozy ambiance makes it a charming spot for a date while enjoying wholesome vegan cuisine.
The food was super fresh and absolutely delicious — you could really tell a lot of care went into every dish. The presentation was gorgeous, and everything looked just as good as it tasted. Tucked away behind an unassuming door is this vegan restaurant serving an assortment of world and Japanese cuisine. The ambiance is very chic and inviting. They didn't have much in terms of alcohol, but I did enjoy the matcha beer. Noodles are made of rice and were very flavorful, and not spicy. My cutlets were crunchy and delightful. This is not a spot to experience Japanese food and a vegan, but more of a respite from the pork and bonito flake laden world out there!

My wife and I ate so much here. They have multiple menus with so much to choose from. It’s always very overwhelming (in the best way) when you’re Vegan and can eat anything on the menu. We got the matcha beer and lemon beers. They were good! The lemons were grown locally in Hiroshima. We were debating getting one of the courses but decided to make our own. We got the vegetable tortilla rolls, cold tofu noodles in creamy mala sesame sauce, teriyaki deep-fried soy chicken on rice, and the heavenly pancakes! It was all great! Honestly, the heavenly pancakes are not lying. They really stole the show. We need to figure out how to make these at home now. They were so fluffy and perfect. All of the other dishes were phenomenal too. It’s the type of place with LOTS of options and you can’t go wrong with any of them. Get what you’re feeling! Share! Try a lot! We had such a great time.

Best gluten free & veg. meal I ate in Tokyo! Seriously delicious. I ate the parfait salad (best nutritarian option because it comes with the dressing on the side). Then I indulged in their Heavenly Pancake, which did not disappoint! The restaurant is located at street level, midway between the two street corners (halfway down the block from either corner). I HIGHLY recommend this spot — check my other Tokyo eating posts by clicking on my reviews — this place is the BEST for healthy gluten free options!

Small and cozy restaurant with several tables for larger groups. Vegan food was very accessible and fresh - not overly complicated. Food served with style and fair. We had the pancake meal with soup and salad. Very good!

This was phenomenal. We had been in the Isetan dept store in Shinjuku, salivating at the offerings in the food hall and lamenting there was nowhere to sit and eat. So we came here and had one of the treats of the trip. It’s in a cute venue with old timber floor boards and we first went down and up stairs to be seated. The food is vegan and was just great. We shared a deep fried soy ‘Chicken’ main with salad and a pancake desert with non- dairy ice cream. We aren’t vegan but venues like this will help the cause. Amazing.
Allen P — Google review
Disappointing, wayyyyyy overpriced, simply bad. We ordered two dishes and two drinks altogether. First came the tortilla rolls. They came after a while, and they were COLD FROM THE FRIDGE with plastic wrap(??). If they didn’t even bother to warm it up, why the long wait? Maybe that sad serving would have been forgiven if the taste was spectacular, but it tasted like it was bought from a supermarket. The ingredients inside weren’t something special or rare so don’t let them fool you. Mind you, MOST OF IT WAS LETTUCE, and we paid 2100(!) yen for that. Of course, it wasn’t even filling in any way. So to sum it, we could have bought it from the supermarket fridge at maybe 500 yen and save our time and money. Probably 15 minutes AFTER we got the sad tortilla, the teriyaki chicken on rice came. I want to talk about how inconsiderate it is to bring the second dish after that time period. We had to share the tortilla so it wouldn’t be that embarrassing to wait to eat together. Anyway, I couldn’t finish the dish. From here, it’s subjective- I think the flavors and the textures, plus the way they serve the whole dish in a bowl (in the menu, it looks like a plate), were bad choices all along. At first bite, the chicken with the mayo (not with the avocado, which had zero salt or seasoning) was ok. But then the flavors became too weird in my mouth, especially with the strong brown rice flavor. It just didn’t work. The drinks we ordered were, at most, ok. But the glass sizes were RIDICULOUS for the price and what the actual drinks were. I wish I could support this place, but the way they view customers is like laughing at your face in my opinion. I think the raving reviews from others is because vegan people are so used to pay double in restaurants for food that is just mediocre at best.

They also offer a lunch buffet and have expanded vegan options for dinner. Located in Chiba, this restaurant provides an escape from the city to enjoy locally sourced products and a peaceful farm atmosphere.
We had a superb meal! The food was so fresh and delicious. Vegetables all picked freshly that morning from their own garden. The quality was really high level and also a really substantial amount of food. Service was great, with a nice introduction to their menu and the staff were so friendly. We will definitely come back next time in Tokyo 10/10

Great meal, especially if you're looking for a vegetarian or vegan restaurant. The vegetables were all very flavourful and fresh. We really enjoyed the set menu because this way we could try many different things. The staff is friendly and speaks English as well. There is also a good selection of non-alcoholic drinks. The place is quite popular so I would recommend a booking. It is overall pricier than a normal place but worth it. When we were leaving, they offered as a bag of okra as they had too many

Some of the best food I’ve had! From start to finish, the Farm Course was exceptional. The vegetables were SO fresh, delicious, and cooked to absolute perfection. A big bonus for being gluten free friendly! Would highly recommend!

The vegetables are sourced locally from Chiba and is made fresh! We love the presentation, vibe, and friendliness of the staff. They speak great English and are super friendly striking conversation in between meals given throughout the set course. Highly recommend giving this place a try!!

First time at this restaurant and it was a pleasant surprise! We had their course meal where everything was harvested that morning from a local farm. There were many English speaking staff who were all welcoming. Food was top tier. Would recommend it for anyone who needs a break from their usual tokyo tourist food checklist ☺️

Visited the restaurant with so much expectations, but it turned out to be the opposite. It took 45 mins to get an appetizer and a salad. Then I had to waited for another 1 hr to get the vegetable platter. Some veggies were not evenly grilled, and I even tasted soil from one of the veggies. My main was vegetable gratin, which was an extension of grilled veggies with cheese on top. Had a bitter melon salad and fried bitter melon again on the platter. I don’t understand about all the good reviews. I guess everyone has a different standard. Waiting for over 2 hrs to get the main dish, the vegetable gratin, is unacceptable for me. We had a plan for the 2nd round but had to cancel it as we wasted so much time there.

Located in the bustling district of Shinjuku Southern Terrace, Shake Shack is a popular counter-serve chain offering a gourmet twist on fast-food classics like burgers and frozen custard. Originating from New York, this high-quality burger joint made its way to Tokyo in 2015, bringing with it the same menu and ingredients that have made it famous. The restaurant's commitment to quality extends to accommodating dietary preferences and allergies, offering lettuce wraps for those avoiding gluten. With its U.S.
As a Shake Shack lover, I was thrilled to try the limited-time offer of the Smashed Onion burger. Of course, being in a new city means a new Shake, so I grabbed the Hojicha shake as well. Both were awesome! We used self-service, so there was not much interaction with staff, but there were plenty available if help was required. The location is very clean. I haven’t met a Shake Shack I wouldn’t recommend, and this follows suit. Pop in and definitely try the limited-time burger if it’s still around; it rocks!

This branch is busier than others in Tokyo, but the quality remains excellent. We visited on a weekend evening, and although it was crowded, there were still seats available both inside and outside. Ordering is simple via the tablet at the entrance, and you can choose your seat afterward, making it very convenient. The burger portions were just right—not too big or small—and we absolutely loved the fries, which were crispy on the outside and soft inside. The hojicha shake was a bit sweet for our taste, but overall, it was a great experience. Next time, I’d love to try their beer and other burgers. I recommend this branch for its spacious seating and enjoyable atmosphere.

Being a vegetarian we were in the hunt to find vegetarian burger to try. Since shake shack is just below our hotel we decided to try it out since they had the portobello burger and to our surprise it was really good! Burger size is good, portobello is well fried with cheese in a breaded crust. Ordering is easy as well, and it has different languages to choose from.

Always a fan of Shake Shack. The Shinjuku location is really nice. Located on the south side of Shinjuku station, while busy, it has plenty of seating outside. Great atmosphere, self-service is pretty quick, but we had to wait a while for our because it was that busy. Food quality is what you'd expect, consistently great smash burgers. A little pricey but as a treat Evey now and then, worth it!

Happiness in a bun! The burger was delicious and the fries were hot. You can get as much ketchup and mustard as you like. I really like their shakes too- if you like houjicha (roasted green tea), you have to try the houjicha shake. 💳 self-checkout by card 🗣English menu, tablet ordering ⚠️limited seating, would be hard for groups of more than 4

Shake Shack has become a must-stop for me every time I visit Japan. There’s just something extra special about enjoying their classic American burgers and crinkle-cut fries in a new city. The quality is always on point — juicy patties, soft buns, and that addictive ShackSauce. Whether it’s a quick lunch or a late-night bite, it never disappoints. It’s a little taste of home with a Tokyo twist!

They current have a curry cheese sauce for the fries (Japanese style curry), 1000000/10. It was so good. They also have a cucumber mint lemonade that was delicious . Burger was great. Def a must when in Tokyo due to the exclusive items on the menu

Although slightly pricier than average, the lunch menus are definitely worth it as they feature carefully selected quality ingredients. Indulge in their delicious mac'n'cheese, which is considered one of the best vegan versions around, and enhance its flavor with a touch of hot sauce.
A gem of a place especially for my gluten free peeps! I really enjoyed my meal. I ordered the soy chicken that came with savory pancakes. I also ordered their gluten free citrus cream cake. I thoroughly enjoyed everything. I will be back to try more.

Went here for dinner on a weekday with a reservation. We've been wanting to try this vegan restaurant. The place had a warm & cozy ambiance. Nice staffs too. I ordered the Chili Cheese Burger with Fries & Heartland Beer. It was really good. It went well with their hot sauce too. We also ordered their Heavenly Pancakes. Wow! It was unique & delicious. It was crispy on the outside & moist on the inside. I really loved it. Would definitely be back for it. Enjoyed our meal here.

I was hesitant to try this place as it’s on the pricier side… when we arrived I didn’t feel welcomed like any other Japanese restaurant that I have been to. But the food was so worth it! Amazing! The pancakes were delicious! The karaage was the best one I had in the entire trip… I hope to go back there just so I can eat this dish! The Tartar sauce was so good… and last, if you are a tourist that have no idea when you will go back again, buy as many cookies as possible! They are amazing!

As a plant based American, I have to say the Japanese treat vegan food as a delicacy. We had the miso tofu cold noodles and the katsu plate and they were both perfect. Absolutely delicious and a must to visit when in Ikebukuro. PS - get the lemon beer!

Ain Soph Ikebukuro is like a little vegan island of peace nestled in the bustling heart of the city. Their menu is a treasure trove of plant-based delights, and everything I’ve tried has been absolutely amazing. Their vegan hamburger is a standout—delicious, hearty, and satisfying. The fast food options, like the macaroni pasta, are equally impressive, offering a comforting yet elevated experience. And don’t miss their pancake—it’s a unique and delightful treat, perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth. The atmosphere here is warm and welcoming, making it a perfect escape from the hustle of Ikebukuro. Whether you’re vegan or simply looking to try something new, Ain Soph delivers a meal that’s not only delicious but also nourishing for the soul. Highly recommended for anyone seeking great vegan food and a peaceful moment in Tokyo!

Tavern on S is a charming eatery that captures the essence of SoHo with its cozy ambiance and striking mural adorning the exposed brick walls. The restaurant offers various seating options, including window seats, a standing bar, private rooms, and comfortable sofa seats. Conveniently located near Shinjuku Station's south exit and open 18 hours a day, it's an ideal spot for casual group dinners or late-night snacks.
Slightly on the pricier side, but if you can get over that part, it is definitely worth visiting! The mainstay menu has lots of great options, but the spicy baked cauliflower and CAB steak were definitely my favorite. It’s not so common to see red velvet cake in Japan so I had to try, and I am glad we did; just the right level of creaminess and not too sweet, going well with the slight tangy taste from the berry sauce. There were other options limited to the season, on the blackboard shared at the very beginning. We ordered the fish from the board. The cocktail drinks were delicious too. They also had a good selection of wines, some by glass but more options by the bottle. Service was perfect. The lady who served us was very knowledgable with the food, able to explain certain things we definitely wanted to learn more about to make a decision. She was also very attentive yet not intrusive into our conversation and experience.

We went here for lunch on a weekday. We queued for about 15 to 20 minutes. They have an extensive menu. There's a bar area with counterseats & several tables inside. The place was busy during our visit so expect the food to take a while before its served. The staffs here were nice. We ordered the Spicy Chimichurri Chicken for sharing. It was really tasty. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Jambalaya. It was a unique jambalaya with several toppings. It tasted great as well. The Iced Latte was okay. Enjoyed our meal here. Would love to try their dessert menu next time.

This is not the place to go for hungry people who want to enjoy a decent conversation. Food is not worth its price. Service. I find it rude for them to tell us it was our last order at 8pm and make us pay the bill in the middle of our conversation and while we were still eating our pizza forcing us to leave. Take note that the restaurant's closing time is at 11:00pm. We have reserved a table and there was no indicated time limit nor were we informed of any time limit when seated. Atmosphere is decent.

They have Amaretto Sour! Very delicious. We had the Club Sandwich which was also good. Chill vibe and location is great.

The chef and bartender both get the higest review. The food and drinks are amazing. Where they went wrong is the hostess, Marie. She couldn't have been more angry at the world, her attitude is less than desirable and out of spite she got the drinks wrong. She was mad she had to help extra tonight as they were clearly short staffed (it happens to every company...so the right thing to do is to roll up your sleeves and help the team) she was too flipping good for the job. I wish I had better things to say but this is what it is. Good news is there's other restaurants right next to it so you can easily change. Don't be like me lol

While we had a little trouble getting seated with a small child, the food was great. Had raw oysters and lobster deviled eggs for apps. Oysters were so good we went in for another round after the meal. The lamb skewers were pretty good but the star was the tzatziki sauce which was amazing. The sirloin was cooked perfectly and one of the best ive had. We got lucky with good weather and they had the whole outer window slid open so we could enjou the afternoon breeze.

Had dinner for two. Came without a reservation and was seated at a very tiny table. Staff was really nice and accommodating when we asked for a better table. Ordered 6 dishes and 6 drinks. Service was great. They were very attentive. Enjoyed the food and drinks. The nachos I guess were like potato chip nachos? They didn’t taste like tortilla chips but they were good. The pizza was also okay, it would have been very delicious if the sides weren’t burnt. That kinda made 2 pizza slices bitter. As for the kitchen, we saw one staff having what seems to be a very fun conversation with his co-worker with his mask down. It must have been very hot in the kitchen and it must have been enjoyable talking with a coworker… We don’t really mind but thought should mention, given the times.

Excellent food and amazing atmosphere. Not so expensive for what you can get. It is well worth the experience and price. It is spacious and great for entertaining guests, friends and family. They have a great wine list and everything it is kept simple because every wine is priced the same at 2,750 yen. They have delicious oysters and the taste is so refreshing, you should get at least one. Lamb is delicious, pork is very good. All the meat is cooked in the Josper grill adding a delicate smoky flavor and tenderness to the meat. You can ask for a delicious birthday plate if you have a birthday party for about 1500 yen. Really excellent restaurant please visit!

Yasubee is a well-known ramen restaurant located in Shinjuku, offering generous portion sizes and a spacious atmosphere. The spicy miso broth and noodles come highly recommended by patrons. While the initial reception from the staff may be lacking, they have been known to make extra efforts to accommodate guests, as seen when seating arrangements were adjusted for a group in a rush.
Very helpful staff! We don’t speak Japanese well, but one of the staff members kindly helped us use the ordering machine - super helpful and much appreciated. The food was also incredibly delicious, we’re already thinking about coming back! Definitely give this place a try if you want to experience something new from Japanese cuisine.

there was a queue so i was curious about this place and decided to join it! i ordered the medium size, look at the amount of noodles! it was crazy. would recommend getting the small/ regular size to avoid food waste. the thick udon was very yummy and chewy, and it went very well with the rich soup!

I ordered a shoyu ramen (although this restaurant seems to specialize in tsukumen). Plentiful noodles were thick and straight, menma, green onions, and a slice of round chashu. I added complimentary chopped white onions. I enjoyed the open kitchen atmosphere. The meal was very filling and tasty. Thank you!

Eggslut Shinjuku Southern Terrace is a popular spot known for its signature dish, the "slut," which consists of buttery mashed potatoes topped with a sunny-side-up egg and crispy sourdough bread. The Fairfax sandwich, featuring creamy eggs between soft brioche buns, is also a crowd favorite. This restaurant has gained fame in various cities worldwide for its delectable egg-based dishes and gourmet sandwiches.
Breakfast! We ate here and it was delicious! The breakfast sandwich was great and they have a little pastries area with donuts, breads, croissants and to-go sandwiches. They have a toaster to warm up any pastries you buy. The plum sparking water was also perfect, not too sweet, sparkling and chilled. It was very busy at 9:30am, but not too bad. The wait for the breakfast sandwich with hashbrowns was about 10mins or less.

Came here on a sunny Saturday afternoon early may at 1245 and was able to get a seat upstairs in the lukes lobster side. Ordered the cheese burger 1300 yen, wagyu katsu burger 3300 yen and the route burger at 1700 yen. All were quite decent, we all had high evaluation on the burger taste. The wait for the burger was around 20 mins which is a while - but worth it. Definitely worth trying.

It's very crowded with tourists, and I don't recommend it for tourist. What a shame—everything is overpriced. Save your money; this is my first and last time here. Don't order the mango drink; it costs 900 yen and tastes more like artifical juice with added pineapple—there's no real mango flavor for this prices. Mangoes are overpriced in Japan. Japan seems reluctant to import a variety of fruits, even with nearby countries like Thailand, the Philippines, and Singapore, likely because they fear that no one will buy them from their chain stores.

This place is dirty. Hands down maybe the worst upkeep I’ve ever seen, we visited 09:00 (they opened at 07:30) and this was the buildup. I refuse to accept that this was from 1 and a half hours of work. The water faucet from the cooler is actually molding, I don’t think it has ever been cleaned. The burger was fine, it’s to be expected that they serve you extremely white bread with no chewy-ness but I’m surprised that they don’t give you the option for something more filling.
Ivar S — Google review
I went there on a Monday morning at 11 AM. It was already crowded, so I waited 40 minutes with my friend. I have to say, it might have been the best burger I have ever had. I am biased because I love eggs, the eggs were cooked perfectly. I got the limited edition salmon burger. IT WAS SO GOOD. I want to go back there again. The wait was worth it. There's also a bakery next to it that sold bread. I didn't try it, but it was nice to look at while waiting. The service was quick in my opinion for a crowded service.

I really enjoyed the food at Eggslut! Their burgers were cooked perfectly, juicy and full of flavor. I also tried the hash browns, which were crispy and delicious. The staff were friendly and quick to fix a missed meal. Great spot for lunch or dinner!

I’ve always heard how good egg slut was and this lived up to the hype! This was the perfect breakfast sandwich. It was crispy, soft, and flavorful in the all the right ways and satisfied my every need that morning. Besides that, the wait time for the food was a quite long, but they were so busy and trying their best to keep up with the high volume of customers. Typical cafe atmosphere, some seating is available upstairs and downstairs. If sitting outside be prepared for pigeons flying and walking around.

Shinshu Osake Mura, located in the Shinbashi area of Tokyo, is a popular and affordable craft beer bar. The name 'Shinshu' refers to the ancient name of Nagano, a major Japanese booze production area, while 'Osake Mura' means alcohol village. This spot offers a wide selection of alcohol at very low prices, with some beers costing less than 300 yen per pint.
A nice place to stand and enjoy locals snacks and drinks from Nagano region, specially if you love the beers from Shiga Kogen. The place is small so you can only stand, no seats, but the snacks and beer and sake comes with affordable prices, lots of local wait in line on weekends to enjoy the place so be prepare for waiting in line if that happen, google translate app is a plus if you cant read Japanese.

Very local drinking place. Standing sake bar with delicious snacks to go with. Frankly speaking I have no idea how they earn money. Each sake is such a big cup (1/4 of a bottle) and it ranges from 300-1200¥! Note that it closes at 8.30pm so you may want to eat early dinner and drink there. I drank before dinner so it got me too drunk..

Local sake store with mostly local people and some tourists. You can enjoy the sake tasting there or even buy some bottles away. Some famous brands are also offered here (e.g. 信州亀齢), but unfortunately it was sold out on the day I visited. Will definitely come again if I pass by Ginza again next time!

This used to be one of my favorite places to drink. Wonderful retro atmosphere and dirt cheap drinks. But I took some friends here and the vibe was all wrong. Despite being a paid customer, I got yelled at by two of the staff for not drinking in the proper location. Something is different, and while I have a feeling what it is, I’ll just say… this place is no longer the fun spot it used to be.

Nice little standup bar with a good selection of craft beer and sake. They also have a snack menu with some tasy and unusual items on it. The staff is very friendly and helpful and speak some english. I can really recommend a stop here if you’re in to craft beer and/or sake.

Absolutely loved this place. Has super cheap craft beers in bottles/ cans you can drink (around 350 ~ 400 yen) and two drafts on tap for 550 - 660 yen. Also this place has a tonne of recent saki you can try. Food (snacks) were super cheap from 120 to 360 yen. Only standing drink but absolutely a place to have a few before dinner or a quick one before going home after work.

suitable for breakfast, because the food is not too heavy. If you buy a set, I think the price is very cheap because it's filling. the location is close to shinjuku station. This is the worst one among the three Subways in Shinjuku that I often go to. It always smells awful and looks not as clean as the other two. But what’s worst is that when I ordered salad chicken sandwich earlier tonight, one of the staff just put a piece of chicken with a extremely obvious PURPLE SPOT THAT I CANT TELL WHAT IT IS on the sandwich like It’s perfectly normal to serve a customer with something looking so suspicious??? And the other one staff didn’t even throw away that piece of chicken until I told him to??? It baffles me, truly. Yes the purple spot may be safe to eat but did they just want me to take the risk of possible food poisoning or diarrhea?? I’m worried about the food safety here. The unbelievably service attitude too. BTW the other two Subways are the one in the Opera City Building and the one in the Nomura Building. The latter is smaller than this one but way more clean and comfortable. And it’s not far from here, just a 10min walk.

The spacious bowls are filled with colorful salads lightly dressed for a nourishing experience. Located on Kagurazaka main street, this establishment offers friendly service and a non-smoking environment suitable for groups.
I loved the food here so much that I went 4+ times in my 10 days stay in Japan. I tried their whole salad with veggies, sweet n spicy kinpira burdock n brown rice salad and bbq chicken salad. All 3 were delicious. The ingredients were fresh and you can pay by card here. The staff is very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend trying this place out.

Hidden away on the second floor is this calm, chilled place serving healthy salad. Female friendly. The staff was so kind. The counter seat looking over the street was quite nice 🙂

The seasonal kaki persimmon salad was freshly made, well-composed and made for a welcome lunch break. Friendly service, the second floor restaurant is small but has some counter seating overlooking the street. English menu available, choices based on greens with chicken salad plus specialized toppings, option to customize salad if vegetarian.

It’s so delicious 🤤 I live near Kagurazaka and twice a week I try to order a salad at home or visit this cafe
Михаил С — Google review
Nice enough space with a good range of salad and helpful staff. It isn't the best value for money though. My large salad cost about 1300 and it wasn't that large but I guess there isn't much competition in the area for salad bars so they can charge higher prices.
Joe B — Google review
An excellent salad place in Tokyo. Probably one of the best. There are a few vegetarian options too and you can get a custom salad. Takeout available, counter & table seats but note it’s on the second floor.
Netra P — Google review
Despite the steep stairs there’s a nice selection of salads and dressings. Simple but delicious and decent portions. I had the vegetarian fiber salad. A small salad + soup was plenty for me. Friendly, English speaking staff (an English menu is available). Free WiFi. And it’s fun to people watch Kagurazaka dori from the 2F window. Ambient jazz music was also pleasant.

Restaurant
Located in the Aoyama/Omotesando neighborhood, Revive Kitchen Three Hibiya offers a unique dining experience with its focus on "modern shojin ryori" cuisine that is gluten-free. The restaurant provides dinner reservations and offers set menus as well as a la carte options featuring vegan and gluten-free dishes. One of their standout dishes is the cauliflower, dill, and nut salad served with homemade rice flour bread.
I'm glad I found this restaurant. The food was really delicious and fresh. The combination of ingredients is very good. There are many different types of cuisine, including Japanese and Western. You can feel the summer melting in your mouth. The portions seem small, but when you eat it, you'll be 80% full and feel very comfortable in your stomach. I ordered the special summer vegetables (11 bites). For dessert, I ordered the dark cherry cheesecake. Price might be a little bit higher. But if we compare to the location and the flavor of the food. i think it can be concluded as a worth price.
Lanni — Google review
I’ve been to those places in the summer to get ice cream b4 but first time stopping by for lunch. The result is, fantastic. I had sesame soy noodle and I’m in love with it. I can have those everyday if I could. Flavor is great, not too heavy on curb or oil yet still fulfilling. Great service nice ambient. I would totally go back again and highly recommended.
Sayaka S — Google review
Stopped in here and it was so tasty. I was looking for some vegan food or something hearty and this delivered. I got the beet curry and it was so flavorful and filling, yet felt so healthy and tasty. Also tried out the winter seasonal juice (apple and strawberry), which was so good.
GEORGIA B — Google review
The seasonal dessert, carrot cake, was very tasty. I loved both the flavor and texture. However, the price is quite high for the size of the slice, likely due to the location. The atmosphere was pleasant, but the floor felt sticky as I walked, which suggests it could be cleaned better. Another thing I didn’t like was being given an English menu that didn’t include the seasonal offerings.
Daria P — Google review
Incredibly lovely meal. New Salad Recipe that’s fitting to a great mall with the imperial palace nearby. I had this Salad, Great filling portion. Along with this cold ratatouille.
Jasper W — Google review
A great place for vegetarian food. The staff was courteous and could communicate in English and they have English menu. The food came fast and they provide a guide to go with the seasonal menu. Also, there is a good view of the downstairs Christmas decorations if you get a window table.
Mayank G — Google review
Great selection of vegan food, everything we ate was delicious. Beverages were also delightful. Atmosphere very calm, service excellent. Was a bonus that they offered English menus.
Jessica F — Google review
Impressive and delicious dishes! This place would open a door for those who are bored of the “typical vegetarian dishes in Tokyo” as, sadly, there isn’t a great variety of vegetarian options out there yet. I’ve rated 4/5 because of the service but, other than that, it was excellent. I can’t wait to come back and try new vegetarian dishes!

If you're looking for a place to satisfy your hunger, .RAW offers an all-you-can-eat salad buffet where you can customize your own salad with a wide variety of vegetables and toppings. Priced at 1100 yen, it's a great deal compared to other vegan restaurants in the city. The daytime buffet provides ample options for both vegans and meat lovers. Despite the potential challenge of having one person managing operations, the overall dining experience leaves customers feeling content.
I loved it here! So much! The food was AMAZING - I’m veggie and there were sooo many options. The service was great too - super chill and welcoming.

For our visit, we were able to try the daytime buffet. Selection was nice, lots of options for vegans. Meat dishes are also available. I guess they're trying to be more efficient by letting only one person handle the operations of everything. Seems hard though if there's a lot of customers. Overall, we were able to feel satisfied with the food.

Very chill, affordable and good. You can come with friends and talk while you enjoy the salad buffet. I want to come back here so I can taste the tortillas. Cosme Kitchen Adaptation 渋谷ヒカリエ店 is a trendy Tokyo restaurant located conveniently near Shibuya Sky, offering a diverse menu catering to vegans, vegetarians, and those with gluten-free dietary needs. The restaurant's name reflects its fusion of traditional Japanese ingredients like fermented foods and brown rice with Western influences such as macrobiotics and veganism.
The one plate meal was excellent and huge with pumpkin seeds, beets, half an avocado, sprouts, roasted broccoli, bell peppers, hummus, and more. It was extremely filling. The falafel were so soft and crispy—I loved them with the surprisingly good vegan cheddar cheese sauce. They also had an extensive dessert menu with vegan and gluten free options, but I was too full to try anything.

Very healthy vegan options and rarely any wait. Enjoyed the berry smoothie very much. I had lunch here with my vegan friend and she approved lol. I recommend their happy hour sweets 2-6pm for 1000 yen. 2 half slices of cake of your choice or one muffin + coffee or tea. Their black coffee was amazing! I wanted another cup.

Good place for an healthy meal. They’re sales and dressings are great, and so are their drinks. I always order the Autumn Blossom plus Amazake Almond Latte and Almond Cocobeets Latte. Extra toppings are a bit pricey.
Matilde M — Google review
It’s good but a bit overpriced. Organic restaurants are seen as trendy so they are bit more expensive than other places in Shinjuku or Omotesando. I had to update my review the new staff are extremely slow and act in a rather off manner. Even though they had 4 people in the kitchen it took over 20 mins for them to make my salad even though I called for takeout in advance. The girl at cash register just stared blankly into space before starting on my order. Plus they had a lot of people waiting. It doesn’t take that long to make a salad.
Fenix D — Google review
Been here a few times for the salads. Chopped/tossed salads are comparable in Tokyo so nothing new. Issue I had is the fact that my grilled chicken came out raw. Upon returning my plate and showing the raw chicken the kitchen staff saw the meat, said nothing until I had to ask her to change it. Waited for another 20 mins until they returned the same plate with the same chicken extra cooked. Nothing said on their side. I asked if they could redo my salad, with hesitation she took it back and gave the usual apology. Nothing further said or done. Thank you but no thank you anymore.
