Coffee shop
JAT Cafe is a popular spot with two locations in the center and Saint Gilles of Brussels. It offers an extensive menu featuring coffee, tea, milkshakes, fresh juices, bagels, salads, and cakes. The spacious cafes provide ample seating for visitors to unwind after exploring the city. With its inviting ambiance and hearty food options, it's a great place to work or people-watch during lunchtime. The cafe's natural lighting and unlimited wifi make it appealing to patrons of all ages.
My first time at JAT , not the last one, for sure. They provide all day breakfasts, take away fees are 3-4 euro cheaper, many various seats in different colors and design. The cafe is wide and open, crowded on weekends though. Everything was superb, highly recommended ❤️
Ilaya F — Google review
The place is really good for breakfast/ brunch. They have a lot of vegan and vegetarian dishes, add ons like eggs are also available. Their coffee and matcha are great, very bright and cozy.
Eman S — Google review
Delicious food and great atmosphere!! Plenty of seating, very friendly and patient staff. Not super busy at 2pm on a Saturday, which surprised me for how good it was!! Our food arrived in less than 5 minutes of sitting down. Stylish decor, comfy seating, and pleasant music, and absolutely divine bagels. Highly recommend the apple and feta!!
Frankie ! — Google review
I recently enjoyed some unforgettable French Toast that truly delighted my taste buds. It was absolutely delicious! The staff made the experience even better with their kindness and warm smiles. I genuinely believe this place deserves a chance.
Jan C — Google review
Cute modern café, really spacious with a wide variety of food options. It's so worth spending the extra to sit in. Got the truffle chicken bagel and the French toast with their Belgian hot chocolates. The drinks were gorgeous and food was so so good. Really full and satisfied after our visit. Would recommend here for sure
Emma C — Google review
This place is nice but way overpriced! 4,50€ for a flat white served in a tiny cup, that’s a ripoff! They’re playing the music very loudly, it’s a coffee shop not a discotheque! Last point, the toilets are disgusting which is a no-go for me.
Bruno B — Google review
The food was great. (Pic shows a savory pancake). Coffee was good. A bit overpriced but very enjoyable. Nice place all in all

Breakfast restaurant
Tucked away in the bustling heart of Brussels, Café Capitale is a charming coffee sanctuary that offers a cozy and whimsical ambiance. Despite its unassuming facade, this quirky haven beckons caffeine connoisseurs with its high-quality, self-roasted beans and divine brews. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a relaxing oasis adorned with vinyl records playing in the background and delectable homemade pastries on display.
Best coffee in town & the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had! All the pastries look freshly made. Comfortable sitting area indoors & outdoors in a pleasant atmosphere. I love everything about this place! ❤️❤️
Rose P — Google review
This is a special review for me. I was lucky enough to spend 10 days visiting this shop daily. I must say that the customer service is the place's strong point. The people who work there have a very good sense of humor and a high energy that shows in their customer service. I had the opportunity to see the coffee bean brewing process, as they do it in-house, try their pastries, and I also used the shop as an office during that time, where I was able to enjoy the shop's great music, based on the vinyl collection they play on their record player. A great experience that I recommend to everyone. A must-visit if you're in Brussels. Again, and as I've told you every time I've been there: Thank you!
Jeron P — Google review
Busy cafe, lots lined up. Coffee is perfect and lots of snack options for all types.,in door seating and a very large patio on both sides of the store. Line was long but the wait was short as they move you quick and bring your drinks to your table. We had a cinnamon roll that was fresh and so tasty. Staff were upbeat and I would recommend to anyone who wants a great coffee and location.
David T — Google review
The coffee at Café Capitale was excellent. I had a pour over from one of their Geisha coffees - it was a delicious, light, and delicate flavour which gained complexity as cooled. Quentin, the barista, was incredibly friendly - he talked to me about where the coffee was from, how the new flat-bottomed brewer he was using would result in a better cup for this particular coffee, and told me the exact brew ratios he was using. My wife ordered a chai, which was fine but lacked any kind of spice or bite - it was more liked sweetened and foamed milk.
George B — Google review
My new favourite coffee spot in the neighbourhood. The baristas are genuinely friendly and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The coffee is outstanding, and the overall vibe is even better. I wholeheartedly recommend every coffee enthusiast to visit it, trust me you will not be disappointed. A special compliment for the music selection, played on a record player, which adds such a unique and charming touch to the ambience. It can get quite popular and busy tho, so perhaps not the best place for long meetings, and at the moment only coffee and baked goods are available there. I look forward to seeing the menu expand (please feed your hungry customers better)
Katerina M — Google review
Nice place, good staff. They also had a delicious pastry. I recommend this place.
EM Z — Google review
Worst latte I have ever had. 1- wrong glass, 2- it was cold, 3-tasted anything but milk, 4- when i told them it was cold they reheated it with what I believe to be microwave rather than doing it again. Plus they don’t offer sugar with your coffee unless you ask which comes in an open glass where the whole sugar is contaminated. Do not run a cafe if you don’t know how to serve coffee!
Sıla B — Google review
very good coffee (for those who likes more acidic coffee) and best cinnamon rolls!

Cafe
Nestled in a serene area of Brussels, not far from the city center and near Parc Royal, My Little Cup is a cozy and minimalist coffee shop that has been serving specialty brews and espresso drinks since its opening in March 2014. The compact corner shop boasts clear branding with touches of characteristic Bruxelloise art nouveau architecture, while its floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light.
We stumbled on My Little Cup completely by chance—right outside our apartment—after spotting someone walk out with the most incredible-looking iced oat matcha latte. With quirky outdoor seating and a raised area that catches the sun just right (bring your SPF), it’s the perfect spot to pause and recharge. A solid selection of sweet treats keeps things interesting, and the staff were brilliant—super polite and happy to bring drinks straight to your table. A very cute little find!

This was our last meal in Belgium, and the overall experience was absolutely perfect! Choosing this place before leaving Brussels was definitely the right decision. The barista was incredibly professional, the staff and food were excellent, and the environment was quiet, warm, and clean. My friend and I were very happy—we’ll definitely come back next time!
Serena J — Google review
My flat white was prepared using the guest espresso, which the barista said was fruity with a high amount of acidity. It was a good cup but it wasn’t as fruity as I hoped for. On a side note, I thought the place is long overdue for a fresh paint and a deep clean.
Robert K — Google review
My favorite coffee shop in Brussels. I went there a few times. The cortado was super, they know how to make it, and it is difficult to find it in France. I felt really comfortable and I was able to concentrate and write down my stuff. Really a great place! And croissants were delicious. Thanks!
David M — Google review
Cinnamon bun was great and I love that it’s not crazy sweet or rich. The spice in the Chai latte could be stronger. Flat white was normal. Was a little noisy inside during one of my visits.
Max C — Google review
Had the best banana bread ever!! coffee is excellent and the atmosphere is so cozy :) servers are really kind and sweet. Definitely recommend! ❤️

Great wee coffee shop and well worth a visit if you are in Brussels. Nice setting and the outdoors seating is good too.

My Little Cup Café is in a great location, perfect for enjoying your coffee outdoors. The coffee is excellent - rich and full of flavor. Fika is a Swedish tradition that embodies the art of taking a break to savor coffee and indulge in sweet treats. At Fika, an inviting space with Nordic charm, you can experience this tradition through carefully selected single-origin Arabica beans roasted by renowned Cafe Capitale and April. Inspired by the Scandinavian concept of hygge, Fika offers a cozy atmosphere with wood accents and plush cushions.
Such a cute and calm spot. They have pastries to pick from that were great. I loved their iced coffee. I would recommend!
Karen S — Google review
We had coffes and hot chocolate. Cosy atmosphere; very very relaxed (shabby chick); seemingly second hand or third/fourth hand furniture; which guves an impression of relaxation also because of earthly but lighter colour tones; some dried flower arrangements on the bar; super great muscavado sugar; good tasty coffee and good hot chocolate; creamy milk. Super friendly waiters!
Tomislav K — Google review
Coffee and pastries were average, the cinnamon bun was a bit dry. The garden could be very cozy but the seating areas are not comfortable and it looks more like a construction materials/garbage dump.
Lili A — Google review
Ok specialty coffee, nice terrace and good cinnamon rolls when they’re warm. The toilet is dirty, the area by the door extremely uncomfortable because it’s cold and the door never closes, and almost every time the staff finds a way to piss me off and be rude. I know Brussels isn’t famous for the service, but at least pretend. Several times the staff was condescending about where I should stand or how I should queue. And don’t boss me around to close your door when I’m holding a child in each hand and your cafe is dead empty - go and close it or fix that damn door for the comfort of your customers.
Marie M — Google review
Very good coffee, but the environment is unhospitable, no decoration
Dávid M — Google review
Unfortunately, my cappuccino tasted like black coffee with a bit of milk foam. The cake was great! The staff was super friendly, and nice. But yeah, hygiene is not top priority here.
Gabriela ( — Google review
Good coffee, homemade treats and a cosy ambience is what you get at Fika! I’ve previously tried their cinnamon buns but this time grabbed a slice of their almond-poppy seed-dark chocolate cake (gluten free) and absolutely devoured every bite. The cafe has a charming terrace with little benches strewn around.
Nanditha R — Google review
"Fika" is the Swedish word for the concept of taking a break while drinking coffee accompanied with a sweet treat and/ or a good chat. I think it is the perfect name for this café. It is a little hidden gem, the kind of coffee place I would like to see more in Brussels. . They focus on good, fresh coffee and homemade (delicious) baked goods. You go there to enjoy your cup and a snack in a calming and lovely atmosphere. Especially if the weather is nice, you can sit in the backyard as if you were in your own garden.

Coffee shop
BUDDY BUDDY Nut Butter Coffee Shop is not your typical restaurant, but it's a must-visit spot. The owners' journey began with creating their own organic nut butter at home, free from added sugars and preservatives. Their healthy product gained popularity among friends, leading to the establishment of this coffee shop in 2020.
Best drink I’ve ever had 👍🏽 Excellent service, the staff are welcoming, friendly, and seem to really love their workplace. The interior is well designed and aesthetically pleasing, they also have displays of nut butters and coffees you can purchase. I ordered the ‘Le Buddy’ from their Signature menu, hot, and it was excellent. Like a dessert coffee but surprisingly not too sweet. The nut butters help to keep the flavors balanced and the consistency wasn’t too thick either. I’ll definitely come back to try other menu items!
Chira G — Google review
If Willy Wonka ditched the sweets and went full coffee snob, you’d get Buddy Buddy. Hidden down an unassuming Brussels street, this isn’t your average café. It’s a nut butter-powered, merch-slinging, vibe-punching sensory playground. And honestly, I loved every minute of it. Let’s start with the name: Buddy Buddy: Nut Butter Coffee Bar. Try saying that without smirking. It sounds like a cartoon sidekick, but these guys are not playing. Everything here — from the vibrant red interior and curvy counters to the cult-status branded cups is slick, playful, and totally dialled in. It’s branding that bites back (in the best way). I kicked off with my usual iced oat latte, and *damn* that house espresso blend sings. Deep, floral, a touch of funk, and somehow still punching through the oat milk like it had something to prove. Then came **the matcha revelation**. Which, for me to say, is… rare. Ceremonial-grade matcha shaken with a spoonful of their own peanut butter. Earthy, rich, a little wild and completely unexpected, like green tea got a gym membership and a makeover. I’m not even a nut butter obsessive and it still slapped. Even the kombucha’s got hazelnut butter in it. I don’t know who gave them permission, but it works. The carrot cake? Looked humble. Tasted elite. Light spice, moist crumb, and a buttercream swirl that knew exactly what it was doing. The seating’s mostly stools but surprisingly comfy. Outside, there’s a small street-facing setup that catches the sun, nothing postcard-worthy, but it does the job. Inside, it’s part café, part concept store, part merch corner. Shelves of nut butters, beans, t-shirts, tote bags. If you’ve ever wanted to leave a coffee shop with almond butter and a logo cap in matching fonts, this is your moment. Final verdict? A standout Brussels café that genuinely earns its hype. It’s niche, it’s nutty, and it’s fully committed to the bit. Come for the coffee, stay for the surprise nut butter in everything.
Mikey ( — Google review
This café is so cute and colorful! Their peanut butter seems to be a popular item. The coffee is high-quality, and the matcha chocolate is delicious. There’s lovely seating and fresh air, perfect for enjoying a smoke outside. The café is pet-friendly and even offers treats for dogs. Highly recommend this place if you want to buy coffee beans, cocoa, or peanut butter!
Ketsirin W — Google review
Such a clever combo—a nut butter atelier and specialty coffee shop in one, and they’ve really nailed both. The nut butters are top quality and the coffee is fantastic. I couldn’t resist the Peanut Butter Pat Milk Moccachino—it felt like a meal in itself but tasted natural and delicious, even though I usually stick to black or simple milk coffee. The space has a really cool design concept that ties everything together and makes it a pleasure to hang out and shop.
Moped M — Google review
Really love this place, from the aesthetic interior design, to the coffee and pastry selection, and the outdoor seating! Highly recommend the Mocha and the pain au chocolat, they make it with this amazing praline hazelnut chocolate that makes it super tasty. I also love some of the small details like the names and nationalities of your servers « buddies » for the day are on the wall, so it makes it easy and nice to make convo with staff. Overall a delicious experience!
Waleed A — Google review
This place was amazing! As a peanut butter lover and coffee lover I couldn’t imagine a more perfect place! I also purchased two of their homemade peanut butters. Can’t wait to bring it back home and try to make peanut butter coffee myself! Will be back!! If you come for your morning coffee, make sure you check if the drink you want has coffee in it! Sooo good either way tho
Ashlyn M — Google review
Buddy Buddy is an adorable all vegan coffee shop! We stopped in for a coffee & one of their famous sweet treats! The place oozes with fun colors, and funky minimalist vibes. The vegan latte was great & the sweet treat was amazing! The dough was flakey, buttery & stuffed with chocolate & nut butter. What a perfect breakfast before venturing around Brussels for the day! Love that this all vegan spot is around in a not so vegan friendly area!
Heather B — Google review
Nuts about the nut butter at buddy buddy. I’m a self professed coffee snob. I drink a lot of coffee, I review a lot of coffee places across the globe. But this, this is it. This is the first time in as long as I can remember doing coffee reviews that I’ve been surprised by a concept coffee. The menu was different, the cookies, the design the whole thing. The fact that most of the drinks are not coffee yet they still managed to have every drink have its own kick—is amazing. I had the matcha this time but I’m excited to go back (which I rarely do) and try all the other options on the menu, including the snacks

Coffee shop
In 2016, Belga & Co emerged as one of the first specialty coffee shops in Brussels, founded by friends Loic and Charly. The cafe has expanded to include locations in the Chatelain neighborhood, Saint-Boniface, and plans for a new outlet in Antwerp. Known for its serene atmosphere and conducive environment for work, Belga & Co is a popular spot for those seeking a place to be productive without feeling out of place with their laptops.
I’m a big fan of cozy coffee shops, especially the kind where you can work on your laptop. This place has such a great atmosphere — it’s cozy, with background music that isn’t too loud, a lovely little garden outside the window, and of course, delicious drinks. I tried the matcha, and I really liked it.
Daryna D — Google review
Good specialty coffee in the neighborhood. Appreciate that they decided not to charge the oat milk. The place itself is not very clean. The back garden is nice
Ivana K — Google review
We ducked into Belga & Co on a grim, rainy Brussels Saturday. Rue du Bailli gave us shelter. Belga & Co gave us… a good-looking mirage. Yes, the interiors are stunning, moody chocolate walls, gold ceiling, feature lighting, and a giant mask watching your plant based milk choices. But that’s where the magic ends. Sticky floors, stained menus, loud music, and zero sound absorption make for a chaotic experience. The seating? Cramped and borderline dangerous. I was perched on a stair-edge seat like a contestant in some caffeine-themed version of saw. The matcha was essentially green-tinted milk with commitment issues. The lemonade looked great but didn’t land. As for the coffee, it talks a big game, but tasted like something you’d grab at the airport while questioning your life choices. They claim no laptops on weekends, but enforcement was nonexistent. Belga & Co has the aesthetic, but not the follow-through. Would I return? Only for the lighting and a quiet identity crisis.
Mikey E — Google review
Best ambience to read your book or work. Loved the ham and cheese bun and excellent coffee
Sofia K — Google review
We stopped by on a sunny day and really enjoyed the terrace—it’s a lovely spot to sit and relax. They had two options for batch brew, a single origin and a blend. I went for the Ethiopian, and it was a good, solid cup of coffee—nothing groundbreaking, but enjoyable. My wife tried the lemon and turmeric cake, which was okay but not particularly memorable. Overall, a nice coffee stop with a great terrace and good specialty coffee.
Brando R — Google review
It used to be a nice coffee place in the past. Now it looks like abandoned. Variety and quality of products dropped. Service sucks (they do not even bother cleaning the tables after a client leaving), dirty toilets. Pity cause the place used to have a nice vibe and for sure there's plenty of potential.
Eleni S — Google review
Belga is a hidden gem of a cafe. It’s easy to miss, only a small sign in the window. I discovered it by accident. Excellent coffee, served with a glass of water. A rarity in Brussels. Nice cakes too. Plus a loyalty card for regular customers. It’s listed in the European Coffee Trip app, which is a sign of quality. In summer you can take some rays in the small garden at the back, an oasis of calm in a busy area.
Russ — Google review
The coffee is amazing, and their banana cake is so fresh and good, and you dream of eating it. You can taske the ownmade one and not industrial one as most of the place. Great staff and the location allow you to work there as the music isn't too loud Oui.

Wide Awake Specialty Coffee Brew Bar, established in 2019, is a haven for coffee enthusiasts. Situated at the end of Rue de Flandre, this cozy coffee house offers an array of coffees roasted at CoHop in Anderlecht. The friendly baristas are knowledgeable and passionate about their craft, providing an immersive experience by explaining the coffee-making process and offering freshly ground beans to smell before preparation.
I got a cappuccino with cows milk and it was lovely. The price was €3.90 which is very cheap for specialty coffee and the atmosphere is there was very calm very aesthetic. The service was also great and I would definitely return to this cafe I loved it !!

I love this place! This is definitely my favorite coffee shop in Brussels. The staff is always very friendly. I love that they have a small notebook as a loyalty book, that way they can learn your name more easily. The coffee is so good that I can recognize it when drinking it in other countries. I’m a big fan! <3

Great coffee, and loved the cups and plates. Thought it was a nice touch :) it was smaller than expected, but it's rather a cozy and chic cafe. The cake was quite tasty as well. All in all, I had a very pleasant experience!

I bought from wadeAwake grinded coffee before and recently Ordered (2) coffees online. Really liked them. I would love if they sent samples of other coffees for orders over 30€before example. I would order more often. Thanks for the nice coffee especially the Honduras

Specialty coffee shop with interesting coffee notes for you to choose from. Got the Saoko(filter) and Superfreak decaf(cortado). Both was good but I prefer the superfreak decaf.

If you are a coffee lover it can be challenging to find a good indie coffee shop in Brussels. Just at the edge of the central historic district you will find this gem. Friendly staff, great coffee and I managed to score the last of their delicious sourdough croissants which did not disappoint! Cool hip design. Bar seating, window bar seating and a few tables at the back.

Aksum Coffee House is a charming café located in the lively streets of Brussels, offering a unique blend of traditional Ethiopian coffee culture and modern European coffee trends. The establishment serves rich and aromatic brews exclusively from Ethiopia, along with teas, chocolate, and baked goods. The ambiance is vibrant, with patrons engaging in conversations ranging from world affairs to the existential effects of caffeine. Additionally, the café features rotating wall art by local street artists.
I recently visited Brussels and came across Aksum Coffee House—what a gem! The waffles were some of the best I’ve ever had, and the coffee was rich and full of flavor. The staff was super friendly, which made the experience even better. A must-visit if you’re in town!

This is a great cafe located at the Galerie de la Reine in Brussels. The coffee quality is very good and you can tell they are using high quality beans. I also enjoyed a croissant and a few of the pasties which were delicious as well. The place has a great vibe and is a tribute to the African culture with a lot of nice artwork and statues from Africa. Definitely recommend a visit if you are in Brussels.

Sadly, reviews are right. Awful service indeed! We waited over half an hour for a €20 waffle. But it turned out they lost the order 😂 we ended up getting a refund instead. The coffee is also not good. I would go anywhere else in Brussels. Lots of better cafe options elsewhere. It is overpriced and not worth it here! Such a shame for such a beautiful cafe.

Stopped at this coffee house in the Gallery for a flat-white and a delicious Belgian Waffle [with wipped cream and strawberries]. What a treat!! The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Excellent specialty coffee - espresso, cortado - and delicious waffles with strawberries, amazing original recipe croissants. Came back twice to this place during a week spent in Brussels. No dirty tables, but very smiley and caring staff...maybe the owners changed something after negative reviews? As of Nov'25 - highly recommend to visit and take a break inside the gallery 😉

I stopped by Aksum Café while exploring Brussels, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip. The aroma of freshly brewed Ethiopian coffee pulled me in, and the taste didn’t disappoint—rich, smooth, and authentic. The café has a peaceful, cozy vibe, with beautiful decor and friendly staff who were happy to share the story behind the beans. I tried their espresso and a traditional pour-over—both were amazing. If you’re a coffee lover visiting Brussels, Aksum is a must. I’ll definitely return next time I’m in the city.

We were here as a group of around 8 people and found a table without a reservation. The waffles and Chai Latte/coffee were very good, and the prices were reasonable. The only downside was that there was only one staff member at first, who had to call a second person to help serve our group. It took quite a while. I would definitely recommend having at least two people handling orders, especially for a café on a main street in the city center. Nevertheless, the food and drinks were amazing — so still full stars from me!

Lovely café in the middle of the arcade, it’s a nice little respite from all the shoppers and tourists at the Grand Place. They have a great variety of coffees, teas, specialty coffees and desserts. I like the seating availability (inside the café or “outside” at the arcade so you can watch other shoppers go by). This place has a great relaxed vibe in a touristy area. Service was great, and coffees were hot and amazing. The staff made us feel very welcome, and we were greeted with big smiles. There were enough patrons but not too crowded. Highly recommend.

Its large windows and industrial interiors provide a modern ambiance, while offering views of the nearby gothic arches of the church. The café is popular among those looking for a work-friendly environment, as it offers free WiFi and a tolerant staff. They serve small-batch roasted coffee along with a menu featuring toasties, salads, bagels, and avocado on toast.
Best espresso I’ve had on my Belgium Trip– hands down. Everything was just right: the taste, the crema, the acidity, the temperature, and those rich, balanced aromas. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. If you’re anywhere near the Royal Museum of Fine Arts, this place is a must. I couldn’t even get a good photo because the foam looked too good to wait!

Delicious food, amazing service, and great atmosphere. Huge thanks to Mila for making our experience so pleasant, she went above and beyond to help us and was very kind. Food was good, nothing amazing, and the flat white was more like a cappuccino actually. Moreover, it was not properly hot, just a little warm. The service was good though, friendly staff.

I visited this place today, and overall, it was a cool experience. I bought a coffee and a bagel, and both were absolutely delicious 🫶🏼😊 The decoration and atmosphere were thoughtfully designed, making it a visually appealing and comfortable spot to relax or work🤍 However, one downside was the temperature inside—it was really cold, which slightly disrupted the cozy vibes that the space otherwise had. A bit of warmth would have made the experience perfect 😔

I don’t usually write comments, but this will be my first negative one. I ordered an Acai bowl (ingredients indicated on the menu: banana, raspberry, strawberry and almond milk). Unfortunately I did not get any bananas, instead they have just put some coconut flakes (which I don’t like) and the “acai” was completely liquid. Even if it is made with almond milk, it shouldn’t be liquid like a smoothie. On top of that, there is absolutely no taste of acai, it just tasted like a berry smoothie.

Amazing avo on toast - healthy, light, buzzing with taste. Great latte; hot ginger lemon drink was warming to say the least! They have no laptop policy around weekday lunch and all weekend - which gives it a refreshing tech detox vibe. Wonderful place.

This breakfast and brunch places was the right recommendation for our start into the day. When the guests calm down it is a nice, calm atmosphere. Addition: it is possible to order via the app or at the counter.

Hinterland is a great place for brunch. I tried the delicious Strawberry French Toast. The brioche was almost perfect, although a bit soggy, which was unfortunate as everything else about it was perfect. The egg was nicely melted inside, and you could not taste it even though it was visible at the bottom side of the toast, which is unusual. Anyway, overall it was a great experience. Macha latte with coconut was also tasty. Service on a busy “Sunday without cars” was excellent too. Loved the place.

Probably the best coffee in Brussels. The taste was delicious and it was silky smooth. The vibe is great, ideal for remote working. They also sell a good variety of house roasted beans at a reasonable price. Their kitchen closes at 3 pm, so unfortunately I couldn't try the food.

Yes, yes, yes. Everything just works at Mok from the design to the coffee to the food. My family of three went for breakfast and coffee on an August Monday morning. Although our seven-year-old was the only child present, we had a great experience. Here’s why. 1) Drink: They brew quality coffee with the best filtered water (also available on tap for guests). My latte was exactly how i enjoy it- strong and creamy. They have sugar off to the side if you need it. 2) Food: A simple menu, everything is made and presented with perfection. My wife’s avocado toast is “the best she’s ever had.” The cheese toast with the fermented onion ketchup hit the spot. 3) Vibes: It’s a cool spot, but don’t be intimidated. Staff are friendly. There’s indoor and outdoor seating and restrooms in the basement.

I loved this coffee spot so much I visited twice during my trip to Brussels! The coffee and matcha were absolutely fantastic—smooth, rich, and perfectly made. Dropped by BOUCHE Specialty Coffee in central Brussels for a quick summer pick-me-up. I went for the iced matcha latte (€5), refreshing and smooth, though I was hoping for a bolder matcha punch. It’s a cozy spot that's clearly popular with tourists and expat locals alike. Outdoor seating’s available, but a bit too dusty for my summer vibes, so I’d recommend grabbing your matcha or coffee to go. Still, definitely worth a visit if you’re exploring the area!

Got off to a bad start as the table has a "number" in the middle of it. I couldn't make it out, by touch or by sight. You need to give the number when you place your order. It's a small metal disk in black . Old eyes . Anywho, ordered the wrong coffee, but loved what I got an espresso. Good food, I had the vegan banana bread which is augmented with seeds , lovely and crumbling. Very friendly staff, young and efficient. Lovely atmosphere, Saturday afternoon, families , dog owners, has a hip look and a certain je ne sais quio. Based in a wonderful community square, which has a book exchange opposite the café and a secure bike storage unit. Building work nearby. A good ebb and flow of folk. Thanks 😊. We did the “Choose your plate” offer and it was phenomenal! The salmon was so fresh! The sourdough amazing and we loved the salt haha! The food really was great!! However the toilet was a little gross, but I didn’t affect the food experience so it’s just a little side note.

This spacious cafe is good to catch up with people, to work or to go on a coffee date. This place has several places to sit, inside and outside. It is a bit loud though since there are always quite a lot of people inside so keep that in mind prior to going here but it’s still okay noise wise to have a conversation. The food is good and you have several options. I ordered their pancakes with fruits and this is one of the only places that is generous with the fruit quantity because most places only add a ridiculously small amount of overpriced fruits, but not here so that’s awesome. I tried two of their fruit smoothies, the ‘Sunny’ and ‘Pura Vida’. Both were really good and tasted fresh. The service was not impressive and slightly average. Specifically at the till. The person was cold and unpleasant to order so they should work on that.

The cafe has become a feature in BXL and was for years the standard setter for both coffee, sandwiches and brunching. It has survived the change of ownership and the menu has been rationalised, but is still good and the service is excellent even on busy Saturdays. It is popular for brunch and tables can’t be reserved so plan accordingly. NOTE: The cafe is currently undergoing renovation and I am giving 2-stars for the unacceptable lack of toilets - no explanations, no advertising and no apologies and no deals with the neighbouring cafes to allow spillover.
Mav E — Google review
Extremely crowded every time It takes 25 mins to get a coffee. If you go with the take away option you have a 15 mins queue and then 20 minutes waiting time: absolutely not worth the wait. I wonder if they play domino / monopoly in the kitchen to take as long to get anything done.
Alexandre M — Google review
Nice café to work with reasonably priced drinks. Quite unfortunately, though, half of the interior is currently closed off due to works, including the toilets!! For a place that hosts a lot of remote workers, it would be important to note this somewhere at the entrance so people are aware! Had to leave early because of this...

Parlor Coffee is a great place for coffee and sweets in Brussels. The premises are cozy and the staff are friendly. The coffee is high quality, but a little expensive.
Don't listen to the grouches! Parlor Coffee is amazing - their lattes are among the best I've ever had (and I've had a lot!), great food, cozy atmosphere, and very friendly staff. Yeah, maybe a bit on the pricey side, but if you love good coffee, this is without a doubt THE place for it in Brussels.

What a fabulous place to go to. You just have to stop here and have brunch. The seating arrangements could be improved as everyone is a bit cramped and the tea / v60 I had wasn’t really the best. Maybe it was my ordering as the latte’s and flat whites looks real good. But the food was to dies for. I had the Belgian waffles with eggs and bacon and so on and I loved it! The waffles where real tasty, the bacon crisp, the eggs fluffy - love it love it love it! My parter had the veggie bagel and it also was real tasty. They also roast they’re own beans and have a range of homemade cakes that you should def dig into. The two ppl running it are extremely nice and super helpful. Prices are ok and considering the quality of the food I’d say it’s great value for money.

Food was ok, but the coffee was terrible, I'm not sure if it was too bitter, burnt or the milk was off but it was terrible. It was also over priced and the service was slow. The atmosphere is quite loud if there are large groups so it can be quite hard to hear if you just want somewhere quiet to catch up with people.

The Lemon pie WOW. Very light, very good balance of sweetness and sourness, good crust, good marshmallow (?) topping… WOW. 10 points for her. Size of the tart also not bad. Latte was very good. Smooth. Coffee taste didn’t taste burnt and tasted very rich. The iced tea… also very good. The orange flavoured tea? I’m going to try to find something like this in the supermarket. This cafeteria offers authentic Italian coffee and drinks, as well as tasty pastries, sandwiches and paninis. The staff are friendly and the outdoor seating is perfect for summer.
Caffelatte Espressobar serves some of the best coffee in Brussels, especially in the EU Quarter. The place is always packed, and for good reason—the coffee is top-notch, with a rich, authentic flavor that’s hard to find elsewhere. They also offer two unique drinks with pistachio: the Espressino Pistachio and Cappuccino Pistachio, both of which are a true delight for pistachio lovers and add a special touch to the menu. While there’s often a bit of a wait to order due to the popularity, the staff handle it well and get your drink to you quickly despite the crowd. The staff are pleasant, friendly, and make you feel welcome. This spot is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and craving great coffee!

On a quiet side street giving typical euro cafe on the sidewalk on this nice summer day. Popular but tables available. Very cute baristas were friendly and decisively helpful with their recommendations in good clear English. Best mocha I’ve had and amazing hazelnut croissant. Wish my mom was here to appreciate with me.

Caffelatte is a place I’m especially fond of. I very often grab my latte to go during the week, and it gives me the boost I need for the rest of the day. The quality of the coffee is outstanding. Many people stop by Caffelatte for a caffeine break. I highly recommend trying their pistachio cream specialties (coffee, croissant). The staff is lovely and professional. There are sometimes rushes, but they handle them well. Don’t be surprised if there’s a bit a queue from time to time, but good things come to those who wait 😌

Finally a great iced pistachio latte, really good taste and size, place is very crowded and staff are a bit dry, but id go there again for the coffee for sure!

Amazing coffees and lattes served super quickly at a super fair price, it’s definitely worth a try. Also one of the only place in Brussels (to my knowledge) that makes pistachio coffee ! It’s really yummy

I ordered 12 espressino pistachio. Firstly they only serve 10, and all of them with way less pistachio than we you order just one. This is not the correct way to treat customers.

Taylor's Café is a cozy spot in the city that offers some of the finest vegan pastries, along with exceptional coffees and chai lattes. The café also serves a daily lunch featuring soup and/or sandwiches. Despite its small size with limited seating, it's worth the potential wait, especially during busy lunch hours. Located at Rue Haute 228, this plant-based café is open from Wednesday to Sunday and provides a relaxing atmosphere close to the train station and secondhand trade district.
Really lovely staff that helped me practise my French lol - many thanks for that! I ordered a toastie which is vegan, and it was delicious! And such a huge portion honestly. The citronelle chai i ordered was great too. Overall a lovely place to visit with really chill vibes, people seemed comfortable to sit for hours

WOW! I am writing this review as I am sitting there and what I can say is that this café is one of the best where I ate. We ordered granola with yoghurt, toast with scrambled tofu, homemade lemonade, matcha latte and 2 belgium’s croissants with chocolate. Everything was sooooooo tastyyy!!! The atmosphere is great and stuff is really nice! We feel there really welcome! I recommend this café to everyone!!!!

Wow! This is one of the best places in Brussels to take a break, enjoy delicious coffee, have lunch, or indulge in some sweets. 😍 We sat outside and truly enjoyed everything! The staff was very friendly, and the service was incredibly quick. We ordered an espresso tonic, a blondie latte, an almond apple cake, and a rhubarb cake. 🥰 Honestly, it was all so yummy! I definitely recommend this place!

Vegan! ❤️ Carrot cake totally recommend, it has amazing little acid touch (lemon juice most likely) in the cream :) love it! Matcha is also yumm. Btw, if you order breakfast with granola, hazelnut toast, etc, be prepared - it’s actually granola on a bread 😁 Good atmosphere- soft music, WiFi, exactly what I needed to work

Weak overpriced coffee and they dont even do iced ones. Also rude stuff. Would rather get starbucks, stronger coffee, more choices, same price 😅

The dirty chai latte was very very good, a true discovery! Unfortunately the place was very busy and it was hard to find a place to sit. Additionally the staff was overwhelmed by the amount of people and had a technical issue with the paying system. Cakes were also very nice.

Nestled in the Ma Campagne neighborhood, Kami is a cozy spot with a passion for coffee and Japanese culture. The owners, Clara and Alias, have created a welcoming space inspired by the concept of Kami - deities hidden in nature. Their Belgian-roasted coffee pairs perfectly with homemade pastries and organic snacks. Despite being the new kid on the block, Kami has quickly become a beloved destination for coffee enthusiasts.
Great coffee. Great pastries. Great service. Great vibes. Highly recommend. Between the 7 of us we got an iced hazelnut latte (in picture), hot vanilla latte (in picture), cardamom bun, iced latte, chocolate hazelnut cake (in picture) and a Yemen pour over.

This is a wonderful place to enjoy a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate. Very nice people and just a beautiful interior. I drank a Golden Milk Latte and a Hot chocolate, was lovely. Would definitely visit again when I'm near here again.

Update June 2024: Service has become slower compared to before. 20 min wait for one flat white is too long with 3 people working. Previous review: This place is a must for all coffee lovers! The espresso is great, plus reasonably priced. They have a variety of coffees. We loved the cold brew coffee. Looking forward to trying some of the other coffees and desserts. The polenta cake is amazing! The back garden is lovely and I love the attention to details: the plants, the floor covering which gives an impression as if you are somewhere in a wood. And the birds 🤗 Many thanks for making sure you have such nice coffee cups! You can rarely find places in Brussels with such nice cups (+very clean). The staff were very friendly and explained to us how they make the cold brew coffee. We are so looking back to drink many many coffees here!

Kami. I‘ll keep my little getaway with you in good memories. The best Granola with Greek yoghurt and fruit I've had in a long time. And the Cappuccino was also totally my taste. I sat in the garden and enjoyed my little breakfast and the quiet atmosphere out there in the sun. The service is friendly with smiles on their faces. Unfortunately they are closed on Saturday. Otherwise I‘d popped in again before my flight home. You‘ve inspired me to make my own Granola again at home. Thank you for that experience. A heartfelt recommendation. ☺️

BARKBOY is a popular spot in the Brussels coffee scene, located on Rue de lEnseignement. Despite not having a resident dog like their branding suggests, the cafe has quickly become a neighborhood favorite with its modern branding and laidback style. The small but captivating space offers indoor and outdoor seating, creating a cozy atmosphere with great vibes. While the service may be slow, the fresh and delicious coffee can be enjoyed on-site or taken to go in canned form.
Such a lovely coffee spot! Barkboy stole my heart with its amazing coffee, delicious pastries (those buns! 🥐🤍), and warm, welcoming service. The staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home. Perfect place to relax and recharge — I would come back in a heartbeat!

Coffee is very professional. Nice match latte too. Went here twice in two days. Cold drinks with a can style cup. Cool design cool people and place. Recommend it for tourists. The chocolate bun and cinnamon bun were also really delicious 🤤
Yu-Ching ( — Google review
You know how sometimes a place is amazing at first because it's new and popular but then the novelty wears off - and the excitement wears off with it? That is NOT the case with Barkboy. The service is very friendly and their drinks and cookies / buns are consistently top quality. The oatmeal & choc chip cookies and the white choc & cranberry cookies are delicious and not overly sweet or dry. Just perfect. The drinks are fantastic - we've tried multiple - both cold and hot. Love that you can choose other milk options at no extra cost. Their freshly pressed grapefruit juice is also a very nice change and perfect on warm days. An absolute fave place from the start. No place like it in the city. P.S. As it happens for good places, there's often a line here but it is 100% worth the wait.

Nestled in the charming Sablon neighborhood, L'Atelier en Ville is a must-visit café and makers studio that perfectly captures the essence of Brussels. This inviting spot offers a delightful mix of indoor and outdoor seating, making it an ideal place to unwind with a coffee while browsing through an eclectic array of art, clothing, and furniture. The Bohemian-inspired decor features vibrant rugs, lush plants, and whimsical details that create a warm atmosphere for relaxation or casual meetings.
Super nice place for coffee! Lots of places to sit inside and out! We had chicken bagels which were delicious and great capuccinos! We’ll be back for sure.

Nice trendy spot, large indoor and outdoor seating areas. Food was brilliant (goats cheese, candied fig and raisin bagel) and the americano was large as a default size.
Lewis R — Google review
Lovely spot for brunch. A good exterior area eat and plenty of space in side to eat and work on the computer. The food was very tasty, and reasonably priced
Graham S — Google review
If you’re wandering around the center of Brussels and looking for a place to slow down, this café is such a find. It’s a bit hidden, which makes it feel special, and most of the seating is in a leafy patio that feels more like someone’s garden than a café terrace. You don’t really expect that calm atmosphere in the middle of the city, and it makes you want to stay longer than planned. The staff couldn’t be nicer — super friendly, easygoing, and they really make you feel welcome without ever being over the top. Coffee is spot on (clearly made by people who know and love what they’re doing) and the food is perfect whether you’re there for breakfast, brunch, or just something sweet with your drink. But the best part for me was how much my dog enjoyed it. She was comfortable and happy from the moment we sat down, and it’s not every day you find a café where your pet feels as welcome as you do. All in all, it’s one of those places you end up recommending to everyone: great atmosphere, amazing little terrace, excellent coffee, and staff who get it just right. Definitely worth checking out.
Jose E — Google review
Hidden gem. It's a cozy cafe with indoor and outdoor sitting area. The vibe is amazing as well as the coffee and cakes. Quiet little place in the middle of city. Great place to hang out with friends or to have sometime off to yourself. And a must visit in spring time.

The atmosphere and service are great but I was very disappointed in the Greek salad and the homemade iced tea. The iced tea didn’t have any taste, tasteless. And the Greek salad had too much pepper on it. If you don’t order neither of them. I’m saving you.

BATCH is a charming spot located in the lovely neighborhood of Ixelles, offering a versatile experience from morning to night. Whether you're looking for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just a glass of wine, this place has got you covered. The atmosphere is described as warm and cozy yet elegant and sophisticated. Customers have praised the friendly staff and the high-quality food and drinks. The interior is noted as super cute with a retro and slightly rustic vibe.
Ok I don’t know why there are some negative reviews, because our experience was just magnificent. We booked a table for 3, yet they gracefully accommodated us when we became 5. A wrong food order came to the table, and instead of taking it away and giving it to the right table, they kept it on the house which I felt was the right thing to do from a hygiene perspective ! Service was amazing and super attentive and sweet. The food was great and had such bold and nice flavours. The drinks came at the speed of light !! I really hope everyone gives this place a chance because our experience was really positive !!
Andrew A — Google review
First time dining at Batch this evening and we enjoyed every minute of our evening! It’s a sharing concept where plates are being served gradually. It’s true that it’s a bit more pricey but it’s worth it. The interior is warm and designed with simplicity. The atmosphere is cosy with candles on every table. The staff were friendly and attentive. Every single dish was delicious (five stars for the chocolate mousse). One area to improve would be to include an extra vegetarian option in the menu. We had a great time and will definitely go back soon.

Very pleasant dinner at Batch this evening. The staff was friendly and attentive despite them being fully packed on a Sunday. The food was MAGNIFICENT! Well executed, fresh and seasonal, good mix of traditional and original hearty food. My advice : come with a lot of friends so you can taste all the dishes ! (I had a really hard time choosing). Good selection of non alcoholic homemade drinks.
Camille T — Google review
Cosy fun experience - made a reservation for dinner. The tables were very close to each other, but the food was really nice. Would definitely go back!
Pieter-Paul P — Google review
I had a great food experience at Batch after previously visiting for drinks a few months ago. Be sure to book your table in advance—with credit card authorization. The menu is short, seasonal, and varied, and the service is quite efficient. The food is good, though some portions are on the smaller side. With many similar restaurants in St. Gilles and Ixelles, I feel Batch could use more uniqueness and innovation (beyond seasonal changes) to keep people coming back. Looking forward to returning when the menu changes!
Stephanie T — Google review
The food is good, but not extraordinary. Also, the music playing was the worst music ever.. first was a hard rock song and right after came a techno song. Didn’t match the vibe. Ruined the experience, do something about the music. It was very hot inside so don’t bring too much clothing. Service by the blonde girl was good and friendly. The other guys forgot our coffee 2 times so it arrived two times cold because it was standing on the bar for 10 minutes. Good for a one time visit or If you get invited but won’t be going back very soon. Tables are very close to eachother too.
E G — Google review
Food ok but nothing exceptional (especially for the price) and quantities were not very generous. 3 items of the menu were not available anymore, which left us disappointed… atmosphere is nice though, but not enough to recommend this place.
Joris D — Google review
Very friendly staff! There are a lot of tables but it’s a popular places so it’s better to come early if you want to secure one (now they also have some tables you can book) The food is great, it’s small plates to share so the meat / fish based ones can sometimes be a bit pricey for the size but it’s still good. For that reason it’s better to go as a group vs only 2 people so you can try more things for a fair price. The cocktails are very good especially the espresso martini!

Café de La Presse has quickly established itself as a must-visit spot in Brussels, following its successful debut in the Louiza neighborhood. This charming café is perfectly situated near Brussels-Central, making it an ideal place to unwind and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. The interior boasts a stylish design with ample natural light, featuring dark wood accents and glass tiles that create a trendy yet cozy vibe.
Really lovely and spacious new coffee place. The service is quite fast and pleasant. The food is correctly priced and good quality. We especially liked the carrot cake, so fluffy and not too sweet. There’s a practical water refill system, you pay 3€ for a water bottle and get unlimited refills - much appreciated as a group. The only note for improvement is that as a bigger group (6) we would appreciate it if there was a bigger coffee table as it wasn’t easy fitting all the plates together and I had to ask the waitress to remove the empty dishes to make some space - this also has to be done without asking for it. But this is a very minor thing and we were still very pleased with this place and would gladly return (especially if one day the renovation outside is over)!

Nice coffee place, friendly service and perfect spot to grab a coffee if you are around the central station. It has also some chairs outside nice to chill when the sun comes out. The coffee was very good, I took to go a flat white with coconut milk and cappuccino. However, I must say that I found the cake quite dry… (total 12,80€).

Comptoir Oriental des Cafés is a specialty coffee roasting company in Brussels, Belgium, established in 2014. They offer a diverse range of high-quality beans from Asia, Africa, and Latin America at their roastery and cafe. The space provides an Italian-style espresso bar where customers can select beans based on their preferences. Despite being busy, it's considered one of the best coffee spots in Brussels with overwhelming options that guarantee great coffee.
Wow, a superb selection of coffee! This place might not look as appealing from the surface but actually it’s a gem - they have 15+ coffee options which they sell as beans and also you can get a coffee right away. The place is not intended for spending a lot of time in there and it’s mostly about quickly drinking your coffee and moving on (or take away). But the quality is just amazing and you get to choose which kind of coffee you want, even for cappuccino. It’s not cheap but the quality is very good

One of the best and characteristic coffees I have ever tasted for a long time. There are so many coffee beans, which you can select and combine with milk. Especially the baristas here have great knowledges of what they have and very kind. Pity that I dropped by here on my last day in Bruxelles.
Jaemin L — Google review
Awesome experience. Tell the barista what you prefer and they give you a great cup of coffee
Alex H — Google review
One of the worst coffee experiences I’ve had. Despite the huge menu, the staff showed zero interest in helping me choose. When I asked for a fruity, acidic espresso, I was dismissed with “I don’t like fruity or acidic” and turned away from. When I asked for the most popular bean, I was told “depends what you like,” with no effort to guide me. Eventually he pushed the most expensive option, ignored my request for a mid-range bean, and then served me the pricey espresso I never ordered. This place hides behind an impressive menu but in reality just upsells tourists instead of offering real coffee expertise or customer service.
