This place is just next to the temple and I had veg meals here for which I paid 120₹. First, a fall the cashier lady was too rude and was not in the mood to listen to anything, I didn't understand what she was trying to tell me. The veg meal was normal and cold where they served rice, sambar, two types of Sabnis, papad and some sweet, that’s all for which 120₹ was too much. The taste was very basic but it was all cold. Plus, they don't accept Google Pay, it is only cash.

Hotel is nice but no value for customer staff are so rude unable to give the service don't know how to attend customer better you could go to other nearby hotels and have a good quality food

Rude behavior… They don’t value customers. I bought an ice cream for my son for Rs 40. I gave Rs 200 cash since I had forgotten my phone at my hotel. The guy snatched the ice cream from my son’s hand & asked me to get money from my hotel room. I was shocked to see this man’s behavior with the customer. I told him that I have given 200 Rs & it’s not customer’s job to bring the change . I asked him to give the ice cream cone to my child . Later the cashier gave me the change from his cash counter. No wonder I saw this restaurant vacant most of the times during my 3 days stay here.Customers are God not Dogs.

Lunch buffet was great with a lot of variety. We liked that all choices were vegetarian. The pleasant ambience made it more enjoyable. The only issue we had was there were quite a few house flies buzzing in the food area - hope the management addresses this. Highly recommended.

Food is amazing and buffet has a wide variety of options. Service is amazing and everyone is hospitable and acccomdating. Atmosphere is quiet and arguably one of the best restaurants in the city. Ps: 2 restaurants have combined into one since there is some dispute, so the al acarte menu is not accurate on their official website, it's way shorter. It seems like a management problem that they are not telling their guests about the merger. Price for buffet is 800 rupees and children is 300.

Our recent dining experience at Ahaan Restaurant in Rameswaram featured a buffet dinner with several noteworthy aspects. The overall quality of the dishes was excellent, with the Rasam and Dahi Wada standing out as particularly impressive. Furthermore, the buffet's pricing was quite reasonable. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the noodles and Manchurian. However, we observed that the pastries could be improved in terms of quality.

Classy restaurant with good food and service. There's plenty of parking space. Good interiors, clean rest rooms and well trained staff. We visited twice in two days, once for dinner and once for just tea/coffee. The place is quite relaxing. Special mention about the masala chai and the quantity served. Their complimentary snacks were top notch too.

The food is delicious, perfectly cooked, every dish has its own taste, lots of variety in the buffet system, staff is very polite and friendly, everything is very well served. We are satisfied with the service.

This is within Goswami Mutt premises, so only people staying here come here not that much crowd, which is nice. We reached about 10pm which they were about to close, when requested they obliged and we had idly, surprised it was closing time, it was warm and even chutney and sambar was superb, this was best food we had during this tour. Next day we had pongal, vada and ghee dosa, which was good.

There is a decent hotel nearby where you can expect Good food. The meals are good enough. The only issue is the service, which is awkward. They have North Indian people for service, but there are no issues; they do speak Tamil.

Average food that tastes not so great. Don't know what happened to the legacy of Aryaas Group. Driven all the way from Dhanushkodi to have breakfast here. Poori Masala Udin Vada-Chutney Coffee. All tastes average. Management to focus on the food quality,service, maintenance of atmosphere to retain the customers and manage the business competition.

Very understaffed, cook is taking orders, reception lady looks uninterested in being productive, accept only cash, food is not that good for the amount of waiting time. They are clueless about what's available in menu and kitchen, after 15 mins of ordering they will tell some item is not available.

The restaurant had a five star look with great ambiance.. but totally opposite service and good quality. It's has a high class restaurant only on looks.. dosa was served burnt, chutney was cold and 5 people got 2 different kind of sambar, which proves the freshness of food. You ask something they deliver something. Improper bulk billing and I can go on.. please don't get fooled by looks.. Horrible experience..

I did not stay here but went for a dinner with my family. Initially when we called to inquire about dinner they said that the dinner buffet is available but later when we reached there restaurant staff said that the dinner buffet is canceled. It is a matter of poor communication from the management. Food here is moderately priced. We enjoyed north Indian food and some chapatis which is kind of a rare find in Rameshwaram. Service was quick and polite. Good to go if you are craving north indian food in a clean environment.

FOOD WITHOUT TASTE AND RESTAURANT WITHOUT SERVICE : We have stayed in TTDC on 1 & 2nd Nov 2016 which is adjacent to Jeewan Residency and this 'Shabari Restaurant" is restaurant of Hotel Jeewan residency. It is outside the city and for dinner it is not advisable to visit as you will not get any taxi or communication after sunset. We have gone their by seeing review expecting to get good north Indian food. Don't expect any north Indian dish with north Indian taste. This hotel has high price , low food quantity, no taste and pathetic service.

If I could give zero stars I would have given it. The worst hotel in rameshwaram. Food tastes bad and it's too pricey. Guys never ever go there.

We had food here for dinner and buffet breakfast we were staying in their group's resort nearby. The food was of good taste and the prices were reasonable compared to other places in the town. Service can be improved a bit, the view from the restaurant during the day is really good. The approach to the restaurant from the main reception of the hotel is a puzzle and can be a brain twister while coming back after having food there. It's not a problem, but worth mentioning :)

This is a restaurant in Hotel Brindavan. Going to restaurants seems like treasure hunting 😝, it’s very much inside. Food is just yummm 😋. Very nice taste Staff service is also very quick. Only sitting area is very small. There could be a little waiting time. Very near to temple as well so one can definitely go and have food.

We visited Vitamin R Restaurant this August during our trip to the Rameshwaram temple. It’s a nice spot with a lovely sea view, tasty food, and good service. The only drawback is that the place feels a bit small for a large group of around 10 people. We tried both their breakfast buffet and lunch on different days, and both experiences were satisfying. The breakfast buffet is purely South Indian tiffins, all freshly prepared and delicious. Lunch offers both South Indian and North Indian dishes, giving plenty of options to satisfy your hunger. I would especially recommend their breakfast buffet—it has a great variety, authentic flavors, and is very budget-friendly. Paired with the sea view, it makes for a perfect way to enjoy a meal while admiring the natural beauty around.

We tried dinner take away and breakfast buffet. Both are really good. Buffet (Rs150) was bit crowded, but manageable. it was so cheap to get this kind of grand buffet in that area. The food also tasty and not compromised for buffet. In the dinner, I would recommend Curd rice, fried rice and Lassi. We liked very much and the quantity also quite good.

One of my friends recommended this restaurant when I was planning a trip to Rameswaram. The food was amazing, and all the vegetarian options were great. During my recent visit to Rameswaram, I had dinner at Vitamin R (Brindavan Restaurant) and was very impressed with the experience. They serve superb quality North Indian food — fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The staff was very polite and attentive, which made the dining experience even better. Very nice place. Complete garden inside the property. Shady during summer also. It's located directly opposite the beach. The temple is walkable which is around 500 metres. There is a 20% discount on all rooms for senior citizens. Rooms are clean and well kept. A complimentary breakfast is available. Disadvantage is having the dinner which is a buffet one. Ala carte is not available . Buffet dinner is of 200 rs which is little costly for senior citizens and non eaters. Otherwise it's the best place to book

Contrary to most reviews I must say my stay experience was good. I am reducing 1 star only because the amenities aren’t great and food choices are minimal. One can’t expect much from a govt run resort these days, so let’s be practical in our reviews. Also, I find most customers have a rude tone when they speak with the staff, that’s uncalled for. This needs to change, no one is bigger than the other person, everyone is born equal. I would totally recommend this place, especially for foreigners who come here, if you are able to get a booking. It’s super close to the boat ride, temple and dhanushkodi/ arachal munai. You won’t get a better place with clean food and water to stay in entire Rameswaram. The canteen in charge speaks very good English and is very hospitable. Kudos to him and his team.

My experience is not good. They give me a ground floor room in which AC was not working properly. So I request to change the room they do it next day. Staff is good and cooperative. But the infrastructure is very bad regarding room. The the change room they give AC was working but water is dropping from it.The horrible thing is their restaurant. Same breakfast menu everyday. I order for a packed dinner for my train journey. Simple dall and chapati.The dal was spoiled. So I ate chapati and aachar in dinner. Previously I stayed in ttdc Ooty and ttdc Kanyakumari . This hotel is far behind them. Next time I will consider before booking at DTDC hotel.

We booked for two non-AC rooms and stayed with family. Very good response in reception and canteen. Quick accommodation provided at entry, spacious, good sea view rooms. We had breakfast and it's very good and very tasty with good service, very clean and neat. No ventilation in the room, can be improved. Looks that these rooms converted from AC to non AC.

This is a very bad hotel. We found steel wire in our food. Informed the waiter. He just ignored it. The food quality is not according to the price. Then, the room service is worst. Dirty bedsheet and pillows, still no one came to change the sheets. Bathroom filled with unhealthy molds on the wall. Bathroom gates are filled with dirt. Room walls are damped. A lizard was roaming on our bed while we entered. Very very very bad experience. They also charged us too much money comparing to their service. Try to find new rooms bt yourself in the area. Avoid the hotels referred by auto and cars. They will always try to scam you. They also thake you to a scam dirty hotel forcibly. And always try to avoid this hotel. Find a good one by yourself in the area. Forgot to mention, one light bulb wire was also sticking out. Super risky.

Had food from this restaurant — it was just okay, nothing exceptional. Idli and coffee were good, but the masala dosa wasn’t up to the mark. The staff were really nice and polite. Conveniently located near the temple, making it an easy stop for a quick meal.

Hotel is just opposite to the west gate of the temple. Superb location for those visiting temple. Rooms are smaller in size compared to what they charge. They will provide you with water and sanitary things. Need to work on cleanliness, in busy days you will find no complete cleaning services from cleaning staff. Toilets were nit cleaned properly. Except service and cleanliness its good choice for staying close to temple.

There are several serious problems with this hotel - 1. When we arrived, the floor of the room and bathroom were dirty and not cleaned properly. 2. For almost a hour, the taps ran dry and we had to wait for water supply to be restored 3. When we opened the taps - scalding hot water came out of ALL of them, no cold water from any tap. This was super annoying as we only had scalding water to bathe with. This wasn't unique to our room - someone in another room told us they had this exact issue too 4. The lift was working weirdly - it would not go to the fourth floor, you had to get off the 3rd floor and climb there 5. The restaurant served average food that was quite expensive 6. The staff were polite, but seemed completely out of their depth when resolving problems. The issue lies with bad management who don't keep proper policies/staff training. 7. As stated above, bad management. The hotel manager gave us many misleading/incorrect statements, like when we asked for the distance to a certain restaurant, they told us it was "far" in an effort to get us to eat at the restaurant attached to the hotel when it was only 400m away. The main advantage is this hotel is right next to the temple proper. We literally had a view of the temple's entrance from the hotel room - this is good if you are travelling with senior citizens who cannot walk far. However, at the same time, there are many other hotels and transport is easily available. As another reviewer pointed out, do not rely on cab/auto driver recommendations as the hotel pays them commissions to bring guests there (and later gets the money from us by charging high rates). Rather go on google, do research and look at recent reviews. There are many many places and cut-throat competition.

Visited this place recently. Ordered meals the guy who was serving didn't provide papad with meals. When I saw the next table and asked about it he said I already served we didn't want to argue so I left. They are not accepting gpay which is worst. That lady in the billing section seemed to be rude. Price was too high. Parotta was stale. I don't recommend this place. Try other restaurants.

I'm from Karnataka & visited the holy place. As usual reached for good veg restaurant via Google & headed towards Sravana Bhavana. Welcomed with Rude behaviour of the local hotel staff for asking about menu & details of it. Who are least bothered to understand the needs of customers coming from other states without knowledge of local language.Being in customer service field: established restuarant should atleast have staff with basic sense of understanding other languages & needs . Being Head strong about language: doesn't work for one's growth. Coming to Food : it was good & tasty Service: Hopeless Overall it was very bad experience.

It's a decent place to have South style Tamilnadu meals served on banana leaf, serving staff especially those sisters who serve food are too good, they make you feel like home, serves everything nicely. Had lunch here, every item was good. Sitting space is small but good for family. Prices are reasonable, also added the price Chart. Surprised to see Director Rajamouli and his family had food here when they visited Rameshwaram. Overall good mess to have Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Decent place - ok ok. Good - ghee rice was good, Maggie was good, panner 65 was super and we ordered it 3 times. Average - paneer butter masala was full sweet ok okish, pizza was ok ok, veg sandwich again ok ok, Bad - Schezwan fried was bad - full of chilli powder. That's not schezwan fried rice.. come on, who gave that idea???? Service was slow as there was only 1 guy who was preparing what we ordered. All other tables only ordered South Indian items.

A very neat and clean restaurant. The place has ample sitting place and washbasin, sitting everything is very tidy and maintained. The food is very delicious and at very reasonable rates as well. The staff and owner were humble and nice people. We had Tea, dosa, uthappam,idli and everything was great nothing disappointed us. We found this restaurant on google when roaming around in Rameshwaram after coming from Delhi and rightly is rated high and location wise convenient too. We almost visited 3 days for breakfast, snacks or lunch or dinner. South Indian meals is great with variety of items. Also this restaurant is owned & run by an sw engineer who is a humble person. Tried this restaurant for Lunch due to reviews from Google. Positive aspects are food quality and taste. Also the place and ambience is quite good, since its part of a big hotel. Negative aspects is either they are totally understaffed or very poor in service totally. Service is so pathetic and non responsive. It took nearly 50 mins to get hot water to drink after multiple reminders. Many food options were not available from the Menu and they take their own sweet time even to take order. Go here only if you have lot of time to kill and wish to spend more money for it.

Experience was okayish. Service staff are well behaved, but food was pretty average. Certainly not as per the google reviews that are thrown on this. It is inside JKR resorts and there is not much display outside to indicate there is a restaurant inside. Parking was good! Walk to restaurant was good as well, well maintained swimming pool nearby. But AC inside the restaurant was too chilly, and again food was pretty average and expensive.

One of the better places to eat at in Rameshwaram town. The vegetarian lunch buffet spread was good, some dishes were surprisingly tasty. The staff was courteous but service can be a bit slow when the place gets full. The toilets are clean.

Service is very poor, food is also not so great. I understand it was festival time with rush at the hotel, but the a la carte ordered by us was not at all anywhere close to the quality expected for the price being paid. Breakfast on a Banana Leaf , This feels so good. Hot Idli DrumStick Sambar was fantastic, Medu Vada was made with Onion, it tasted excellent. Dose was was good.

I had lunch here at ganesh mess. Worth having quality food and staff are so humble they ask us about what we want to eat etc. Food was tasty and healthy. Affordable and clean. This hotel is near to west gate.

To enjoy authentic Idli Vada Chutney and Sambar visit this place. Idli was not up to the mark may be this was today’s issue only but Vada Chutney Sambar was awesome. Dosa was very tasty too. The place is clean and tidy and that’s what I liked a lot here.

Deva was a very sweet guy who helped us including all other staff. We had Jeera aloo and curd rice which they provided without onion garlic for my parents. Mushroom 65 was like really good pakoda. Mushroom masala was good too. Dosas were good chutneys were best. Personally felt much better than Ganesh mess.

We have ordered Idli,Poori Bhaji Bhaaji and Onion Rawa Dosa Chutney was okay not best, Sambhar was like daal without salt Bhaaji of poori was like masala of Dosa with again no salt Idli was fresh but not soft . I personally didnt like the taste of the food overall .

We went to this place for dinner in 1st may 2025. First of all they were in so hurry not sure why even if the restaurant was vacant, they might want to close it soon. We ordered plane roti , bhindi fry and kaju masala. The bhindi fry was okay and the kaju masala was so bad. They haven’t fried the kaju and mix it with already prepared gravy and served it. So we ordered bhindi masala so that we can finish our plane roti but again then they have served it with the same gravy without frying the bhindi. The bhindi was raw and when we told them they said that we will remove it from bill, you don’t need to pay for it. We were so frustrated after that. We paid 800 rs and it was a waste I don’t recommend this place for any food at all.

Tasteless Food is served at this restaurant. The cook seems to be very unprofessional. We have ordered Shahi Paneer but when it was served it was full of Uncooked Species and the Shahi Paneer curry was absent we haven't tasted this type of disgusting Shahi paneer ever. Instead of using wheat flour in tandoori roti they use Maida. We haven't seen tandoori roti of maida. Dal was also tasteless. Therefore we recommend that you have your meal somewhere else otherwise you will be disappointed by the taste and experiments of this outlet.

Very disappointing experience. We came for dinner expecting a decent meal, but what we got was half-cooked food that was completely inedible. The chicken was raw from inside, and the vegetables were barely even sautéed. When we pointed it out to the staff, they just reheated the same dish instead of replacing it. Absolutely unacceptable. We ordered paneer rice , mushroom rice , dal fry , kadai paneer, Paratha and tea . Tea was not good and each paratha cost ₹30 yet are too small . Paneer rice and mushroom rice were good . And dal fry was good as well . I didn't liked the kadai paneer. The atmosphere isn't good . There is wheelchair accessible entrance here . The place is hygienic but is not cozy . It is also a bit expensive

I first thing you notice after seeing the reviews is the lack of hygiene. The first thing you notice when you are actually at the place is the lack of other options. We decided to give it a try as there were not other hotels nearby open. We ordered Veg rice, Gobi curry, and paneer curry along with tea. The plate was not properly cleaned. The food was served in a banana leaf, in the plate, which was okay. Taste wise it was okay. We were hungry so ate everything. They accept only Cash.

Food is not so good, but cheap also. Open from 7 AM to 9.30 PM. Right infront of the east gate of Rameshwaram temple. Have bathroom facility also compared to other restaurants nearby. Also there is a large verandah for sitting.

There is no option to give less than one star. Highly unhygienic, pathetic taste, unruly staff, unruly owner also. Staff cleans the tables with left over water from the glasses left by earlier customer. Very very poor service, taste.

Pretty new and what I found was decent one. A little overpriced but as the hotel is, seems like they need to maintain their standard with high price. If you want proper ala carte dinner with starter and all, this place would answer your search in small and new town like rameshwaram.

Worst food and service. We went to Rameswaram with family of 17.we came to this hotel for lunch. We forget and ordered food for 18(meals) . After paying the bill we realized and asked for refund.Then they said refund will not be given once bill is generated. Food also has no taste.

Very high price like star hotel but unhigenic several flies .. very poorly managed hotel... Please avoid eating here else you will get disease due to flies. House fly are carrier of several dangerous disease and surely you will get infection due to fly. This big hotel this big price but can't manage house fly menace .. piece of sh1tt

The atmosphere created here seems appealing.. But everything here is extremely expensive compared to quantity of food. Plus the waiters do not want to help during morning boufe (bread toasts,coffee and tea)

Serious problem with the attitude of the staffs and cleanliness of the utensils. Rude restaurant manager who doean't know to respect the cuatomers. Had to wait super long for the ordered food. Definitely will not recomend to anyone. Despite the restaurant looka exclusive but very poor services is guaranteed. Will never go back there again...

Located in a local street rooms were very good . Though they served nice Idly’s baaki sab bhakwas. If you come after 10 no breakfast. No care for customers. They even charged for baby milk. Tasteless and tough parota.
