The 49 best breakfast and brunch in Cornwall

My daughter and I have been. Known to get up at 6 and travel three hours to get breakfast here (we then will do an impromptu stay in Cornwall)) This week we were in Cornwall anyway so nipped to our favourite brunch spot. The girl on the counter was so friendly and we talked about past dishes. We both had wraps (and shared a half each to get more flavours) they were so tasty with good textures . Too much food, but we got a box to go. Coffee to drink, which was good too. The cafe has seating inside and out the front. It would be a good number but the food is so good it gets full quickly, but dishes are available to go and taking your breakfast to Fistrel to watch the surfers is a definite recommend. So do not be disappointed if no tables it just adds to the experience. The only other comment is bring back the dish with broccoli, egg and cashew sauce ... Best dish ever My photo is from a previous trip not this week, but it will give you an idea.

The food was absolutely delicious perfect for breakfast, lunch or brunch. The food was fresh ,nicely served and plated would definitely recommend this restaurant who wants to chill and relax great for families and friends although it can get busy at times however great service and lovely food.

A very small coffee shop provides brunch service. I don't know if it's because we are busy or something. Anyway, we waited for a long time before ordering. The waiter has been busy serving others. When we ask when we can order, the answer is to sit on the table and wait because we order, which will cause a queue. I don't understand why. In short, I feel discriminated and treated differently. Such coffee shops are everywhere in China. No one will treat customers like this, and the waiters bring water and tableware to all the guests who come later than us.I feel very dissatisfied.

I absolutely loved the pancakes! They were fluffy, perfectly cooked, and the maple syrup was divine. Can’t wait to come back!

A stunning breakfast! Had the chorizo wrap and it was delicious. All washed down with a coconut turmeric latte. Staff were all brilliant and buzzing around. Will definitely be returning here, a morning gem! 💎

Buzzing cafe in Newquay, we had a thoroughly great breakfast and coffee this last weekend. Definitely worth seeking out - highly recommended.

Best coffee I’ve ever had. We came here twice during our 5 day trip to Cornwall. Açai bowl was delicious with a huge helping of peanut butter. Bacon sandwich was amazing. Lovely little spot for a coffee and brunch. Cakes look delicious too

Hands down the best breakfast we’ve ever had, no exaggeration! We came as a family of five plus our dog, and every single plate was a winner. The eggs were cooked to perfection, and the bubble and squeak was genuinely the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve tried a lot!). The kids were in heaven with their blueberry-filled pancakes, light, fluffy, and packed with flavour. It’s rare to find somewhere that nails every element of a breakfast, but this place truly does. Best breakfast in Cornwall without a doubt we’re seriously considering coming back every day of our holiday!

Called in here this morning for a decaf latte. One gent working front of house and one in the kitchen. I complemented the gent on his hard the two of them were working to keep things moving at a good pace. My drink came quickly and it was very nicely made and tasted good. We'll both return another day to enjoy lunch here for sure. Recommended.

Absolutely fantastic. Staff are friendly and accommodating, food is stunning, the cafe itself is really nice to sit inside and has some really nostalgic decoration. Seriously perfect place to have lunch and/or a coffee. Shaun is a really friendly guy who is happy to have a chat about anything, even has his son helping out "keeping him out of trouble". Brilliant place and we will 100% be back!

We really enjoyed a meal here at lunchtime, choosing the Philly Steak sandwich and the Smoked Haddock and Cod Fishcakes (pictured). Both were delicious and good value. Service and atmosphere were excellent, and a special call out to Tina who was running the kitchen on her own! We knew we were into a winner when the people on the table next to us were singing the praises of the food to us just as we arrived! 😁 They weren't wrong!

Very good discovery. We spent only one night (in holiday from France). It was well cooked catch of the day with spinach well presented. Quantity was sufficient and not too much like in other restaurants. Thanks

Lovely cafe to grab coffee and cake, and transforms into a lively evening diner. Food is delicious, decor is relaxed and it's dog friendly. Service was prompt and helpful. Lacking in vegan options but a nice spot 👍🏼

It was a rainy day but perfect for a spot of breakfast with friends. We chose this as it had great reviews. The staff were delightful and very friendly in this cosy little place. The food was really tasty and very good portions. I would definitely go again and take our dog as it’s also pup friendly!

My partner and I visited on Saturday - he highly recommends the bacon sandwich with stilton, and I had the best scone of my life! Sam and Geoff are genuinely lovely and I think this really creates a warm and chilled atmosphere. A lovely little cafe which truly stood out as one of the best cafe experiences I have ever had. Would 100% recommend :))))

Such a fantastic cafe, the warmness and friendliness of the owner was exceptional. 100% the best Cornish cream tea I've had, I can't recommend this place enough, just check the opening times as we almost missed out and arrived just before closing time.

Is a small cafe with 5 tables only. We were lucky to be number 3 to entry at 9am. Order bacon and egg sandwiches and sausage and egg sandwiches. Baby had child breakfast. Bread was thick slice, egg was runny spot on, sausage was locally sourced, chocolate milkshake was lovely. It was good overall. Please prepare cash as sometime the machine didn't work out. Sam was super friendly.

We ate at Daisy’s Cafe today and absolutely LOVED IT! The food was delicious -we had the vegetarian breakfast and a scone!! The atmosphere was impeccable and the staff had some of the friendliness and most accommodating hospitality we’ve come across in ages -we’d come back just to see and speak to the lovely lady who served us! :)) Would definitely recommend (we recommend the scones too) xx 🫶🏼☺️🤎

Visited on the 26th of May 2021. Nice cafe. My partner had a mocha and a scone with butter and jam. The scone was massive, and tasted nice. The mocha was extra hot and frothy till the last sip, nice. The lady and the man who served us were nice. Overall, would visit again.

I have no idea why this place isn't packed every night! The food is amazing, I've ate at Rick Stein's, Paul Ainsworth and would rate this food above theirs. Not only are the portion sizes very generous, the food is cooked to perfection and tastes amazing. Emily is also a delight and nothing is too much trouble and she is so welcoming. The fresh lobster couldn't be fresher as it is caught in Port Isaac and my husband has already had it two nights running. I have had the Chicken Ceasar salad, the biggest salad ever with delicious dressing and croutons to die for. Tonight I had the beouf bourguignon, the beef melted in your mouth and the shallots were sweet little gems of perfection and taste. We have also had a cream tea through the day, and again this was delicious. The bacon butty for breakfast was great too. Just make sure you try this place, you will not be disappointed.

This cafe served us a truly outstanding meal. The service from CJ was superb, being both attentive and friendly. And the food…just wow! My wife and I pre order a lobster each as an anniversary treat and we’re both totally blown away with the taste, presentation and the quality. Food is often at its best when kept simple and done to a very high standard and this establishment has nailed it. The team here have won a well deserved reputation and I look forward to revisiting whenever possible. Thank you for making our evening so lovely and we can’t wait to come and work our way through the menu.

The whole of Cornwall is so stunning🩵💙🩵 We walked here for a whole day and loved every minute. I recommend the place for a cup of tea (cream tea) or a coffee because the whole area is amazing and magical 💯🤩😍

I recently took a short break to north Cornwall, the undoubted highlight of which was the unbidden but most welcome discovery of The Chapel nestled in the charming harbour village of Port Isaac. I somehow felt drawn in and was not disappointed! I found within a truly warm welcome, and received consistently top notch service from friendly amenable staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. From first impressions to an amazing last night’s meal, each time I went, I left feeling so glad for the visit. All the staff made both me and my beloved Cockapoo, Cookie, feel genuinely at home. Housed in a beautifully converted historic chapel, I experienced a taste of heaven on earth and left with culinary memories which will last a lifetime. I popped in couple of times for a pot of tea and a sweet treat. I highly recommend the ramblejack - an utterly delicious, delux upgrade on the classic flapjack with dates, peanut, coconut and chocolate. I returned again and chose the Cornish Crab Cheese Rarebit - absolutely delicious, washed down with an exquisite perfectly chilled glass of white wine. It was a no brainer to enjoy my last night’s meal at The Chapel and it certainly didn’t, in any way, disappoint. I enjoyed a most sumptuous Fisherman’s Platter followed by a delicious white chocolate and raspberry Blackwell dessert, served with Cornish Clotted Cream was to die for. Even the choice of background music was perfect for creating the right mood for the moment. And to top it all, I received simply the best care and attention from Emily. She was brilliant. Her grace and good humour, her kindness and care, her warmth, passion, energy and commitment to excellence shone through. What a privilege and a joy to behold. She seemed to just know instinctively when to draw near, what to offer and how to deliver the most amazing dining experience I’ve ever had. Thank you so much. ☺️

This is not a cafe. This is a versatile restaurant, rich with local history. Our host was warm and kind, excellent service. The food is clearly made with love, brilliant quality. The Sirloin steak is highly recommend, along with the whole establishment.

I'm uncertain why people berate businesses for serving expensive food in tourist hot spots in reviews. I'm a regular to this neck of the woods (I remember when nobody knew the place prior to the DocM takeover, you could still get a car parking space in the smaller and only car park and property prices weren't excluding locals) and if you drop into this place you've got to expect local people to make money whilst the sun shines. We dropped in after our there-and-back to Port Quinn and had three hot drinks and cake for £22. If I did that in York, Bristol, London or Edinburgh I wouldn't see the change out of £30 so I think the prices are pitched perfectly tbh. Service was rapid and perfectly polite and my slice of coffee cake could have gone to work by itself considering its size! The nipper saved half of her rocky road for later. The place is dog friendly and the local hound (which I'm sure is the Port's answer to Padstein's Chalky) is a kindly animal who loves a tickle. I'm not a dog fan myself but it adds to general homely feel of the place which is never short of passing customers looking to rest their legs after either a) that strenuous walk up the hill or b) an actual walk along the coast. Don't expect to pay in cash. It's 2025 after all.

Happened across the cafe while on a coastal hike, peaceful setting, friendly staff, very good coffee and good selection of cakes including vegan options, all at reasonable prices. Was very busy on the weekend but still good service, returned for coffees the following day and just as good.

A really cute beach cafe!! We came after a surf, and the staff was really cool and friendly, the food and drink was delicious, the decor and views were AMAZING, and there were loads of lil sparrows that came up to us and we’re feeding out of our hands!! Very very sweet cafe, and defo will come again. x

Lovely cafe with great selection of cakes and food, plenty of seating outside too. The only down side is no butter for the cheese scone. Quite busy so service is a bit slow but the staffs are nice.

Excellent Food at a great location. The Wraps, Salads or Steak Sandwich are just phenomenal! even the coffees are delicious! so all plates were without any leftovers 😁 If you visit this beach, you have to get your Lunch here😎🤙🏻

Sadly no baby changing facilities which is quite surprising considering how basic and easy to fit they are. This will stop us from visiting again which is a great shame as we are local frequent visitors. The cream teas are always fresh and lovely, and they will be missed, but having a newborn baby and not being able to change her was quite upsetting. Whilst I appreciate baby changing facilities are not mandatory it was quite surprising that they did not have them. Fortunately we do live close by but I imagine this could really affect anyone visiting on a holiday.

We had a fantastic stay at the Alverton last weekend. This was a return visit for us, and we treated ourselves to one of the suites up near the Courtyard. The room was beautiful, very clean and nicely presented and felt very luxurious. We enjoyed relaxing in the bathtub which adds another layer of luxury, especially with the high end Bloom products that were stocked up next to it. The staff deserve a special shout out and were all exceptional, very friendly and helpful from check-in on the reception desk, our lovely waiter Eden who was incredibly attentive and efficient (we both commented on his warm and professional service) and also lovely staff who served us breakfast in the morning. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant in the evening with some non alcoholic cocktails and one of the best desserts I’ve ever had! Then breakfast in the morning was spot on, we both had a full cooked breakfast and also some fruit / granola to start which were equally presented in a very aesthetic way. We would highly recommend this hotel, it’s a beautiful location in Truro but you feel like you’re somewhere else because of the beautiful gardens and all the trees. The building is enchanting!

The Alverton Hotel Wonderful room and location—fantastic value for money. Service was good, and the evening food was absolutely amazing. Great parking too. My only moan? Breakfast didn’t quite hit the mark.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff were absolutely top notch, All of them; which makes a holiday even better. Clean rooms, attentive room service, and an all around peaceful stay. There are several nice little alcoves to relax and enjoy a beverage or catch up on reading. Afternoon tea here was the best overall on our 12 day holiday tour of England. Must have been that Cornish magic to everything.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are fantastic. The breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately our rooms had two huge generators attached to the outside wall and they started up very loudly every hour, so no sleep for a 4 hour drive the next day. Enjoy the gorgeous hotel, but top tip..just don't stay in rooms 16 and 17!

We visited the Alverton hotel for a Sunday roast after finding the Google reviews were good. We were very disappointed with the roast. The waitresses did not ask us how the food was, so we called someone over to let them know that the beef was very tough & inedible. The waitress went away to talk to the chef & afterwards replaced the beef…it was even worse. When they took the second lot of beef away, we hadn’t eaten it, the waitress came back from the kitchen & asked if we wanted to try the chicken. We declined as we were all finished. Two of us then ordered dessert, sticky toffee pudding, and unfortunately this was also very disappointing. The waitress brought the bill and advised they’d taken 10% off which we said was a bit insulting, she then increased this slightly. Very expensive roast dinner for what we actually ate! Would not return.

Had an Afternoon Tea at The Alverton. It was amazing. The welcome, service, food and cocktails, were outstanding. From the moment we walked in the door to the time we left, everything was superb. Thank you to everyone who made it such a special afternoon

Stayed one night recently. The room was pleasant, modern and clean. The location is great. Staff helpful. The only downside was the breakfast. It took a long time to come, mixed up orders and the full English was cold to lukewarm at best. A shame.

Food here is absolutely phenomenal! Coffee is great. I eat here a few times a week and have tried almost everything on the menu and can't fault a thing. Party food for my daughters birthday was a massive hit! The kids especially loved the mini burgers and smoothies. Lush outdoor seating area, really child friendly with little watering cans to water the flowers. I would definitely recommend to anyone that will listen to me go on and on about amazing food!

Absolutely love this place! Been numerous times! The breakfast bagels are banging! Love burger nights too, such a huge choice to choose from, something to suit everyone's tastes! Really friendly staff, fun atmosphere, you can take your own booze to sit in the little garden at the side(only a handful benches however) The food is top quality, tastes so delicious and cooked to order. Easy to make amendments aswell with no fuss. Highly recommend visiting here if your in Hayle, best place around for coffee and food. Excellent value for money. Can't wait to go again as their is a good variety of healthy food options such as super food salads aswell naughty but nice treats! Soft drinks and cakes are also sold here!

I can highly recommend the chicken ceasar either wrap or salad, also the fish tacos, brisket dirty fries... actually just everything! The food is amazing restaurant quality at cafe prices, the coffee is heaven and the staff are fantastic.

The most amazing breakfast we have ever had! The service was great and the food came out quickly too. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. We had a double English, the smoker and an eggs Benedict and all were divine. Added benefit is that dogs are allowed in, and they have a doggy menu. Thank you.

Planning just a quick coffee stop, we ended up staying longer as the atmosphere is so relaxing. Cakes were impressive - rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Our coffee was excellent quality, perfectly complementing the sweet treats. The cafe has a relaxed, shabby-chic vibe that feels authentically St Ives. The young team running the place was incredibly welcoming and created a warm, friendly atmosphere throughout our visit. We managed to snag a window seat, which provided perfect people-watching entertainment as locals and tourists wandered through the Market Place. While you won't get beach views from here, watching the sunny-day parade of happy visitors exploring St Ives is entertainment enough - there's something infectious about the cheerful atmosphere when the sun's out in Cornwall. A lovely spot that captures the relaxed coastal charm of St Ives - we'll definitely return for a proper meal next time!

Popped in to the cafe this morning for breakfast. Lovely staff and interior is funky. Had the double full English which was superb, the waffle stack one had looked amazing and the poached eggs and avocado also looked really good. The pot of tea was great All in all a great place to visit and would recommend it. Ignore the moaners, I doubt they've ever cracked a smile since birth.

The most delicious breakfast! Quick service and lovely friendly staff! This menu has something for everyone! They have delicious freshly squeezed orange juice too! I highly recommend the coconut chai latte! Will be coming back on our next holiday to St Ives!

A good place for families to grab a quick brunch. Crab sandwich was really good. Flatbread brisket was on the dryer side, but was quite flavourful. Atmosphere was lively, decor was interesting and seating was comfortable/spacious.

We stumbled upon this café when we were looking to get a quick lunch before leaving St Ives and it was such a lovely find. Generous portions, good coffee, lots of options for vegetarians and very friendly service.

Stayed in the Crow's Nest late November 2024 and had an amazing stay! The apartment is just what you need and complete with log burner! The view is stunning and one morning we sat and watched the sunrise. Great location. Clean and tidy. Beautiful view!

I absolutely loved staying here. The room was comfortable, clean and beautiful with a stunning view over the water. A very relaxing place to stay. In the morning their breakfast was potentially the best fry up I’ve ever had! 10/10 from me! I would 100% recommend to anyone and the staff are absolutely lovely! Can’t wait to stay again!

Stayed in Cabin room which has panoramic view of the harbour. Lovely clean and comfortable room, super king bed, great shower with lots of water pressure. The cafe/bar is excellent, with a small but delicious menu. Probably the best full English I’ve tasted, accompanied by an outstanding Bloody Mary! Warm and friendly service, really enjoyed our stay!

My new favourite place to stay in Falmouth. Perfect view of the harbour from the bedroom, best full English in town that uses only the most delicious local ingredients, walkable to all the attractions in Falmouth and the staff really do go above and beyond. Would recommend to everyone!

Me and my partner came here last night to celebrate his upcoming birthday and parenthood. We loved our small plates, all amazing and filled with flavour. Especially their squash fritters. Drinks were equally impeccable. The service was unmatched, it was our waiters first night working there. He was incredibly attentive, informative with a friendly presence. The other man there was equally as lovely, lost his voice but persevered through the night . The ambience was absolutely perfect, i couldn’t imagine a better place to have spent our first night out together in an extremely long time. overall it was an incredible dining experience, the evening was everything we hoped it would be. highly recommend. we will be back and hopefully be able to enjoy a stay when our little ones are older.

Better than ever! So much love for the S&G. The new layout is a great, intimate vibe, the service is immaculate, the drinks are divine, and the food is out of this world. Reasonable prices and very tasty food. Had a BLT (£7.75), Carrot Cake (£4) and an Iced Latte (£3.50) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Beautiful views across Porthleven Harbour are a huge bonus.

Tea was awful, no-one ever told these kids to add ‘one for the pot’. Carrot cake was nice though. No atmosphere in the cafe, over crowded and over priced. Once was enough, I wouldn’t go back.

His pizza creations are a thing of beauty — crispy, chewy, flavour-packed slices of heaven. He’s not just making pizza — he’s conducting a full-blown flavour symphony. And we can’t go without giving a massive shoutout to Fred, who served us with warmth and professionalism. And then — as if the sea view, the food, and the welcome weren’t already perfect — the music. The playlist was a stroke of genius. Not just background noise — it was a curated emotional journey. When “And a Bang on the Ear” by The Waterboys started playing, it felt like the whole harbour took a breath and joined the rhythm. That rich, rolling melody drifting out over the tables as the waves lapped nearby? It was cinematic. Romantic. Like something out of a film where everything comes together in a single, golden moment. It wasn’t just a meal. It was a memory — stitched together by great food, lovely people, and one absolutely iconic song. If you find yourself in Cornwall and don’t visit Nauti But Ice and Dan Dan’s pizza paradise, you are genuinely missing out on one of the south coast’s most heartwarming, delicious, and soulful experiences. 2023 update... had a fantastic pizza today upon our arrival in Cornwall. Perfectly cooked and just the right amount of toppings. The staff are fantastic. Can't do enough to make you feel welcome. A superb place. 2022... Great location, especially if you get a seat outside in the sun. Great pizza and garlic breads, small but good selection of drinks. Bottles of tap water in the fridge. Great table service from friendly staff.

I don’t think anyone should leave Porthleven without having a Cream Tea ice cream cone! Heaven Eatit inside. Seagulls are thugs. I’ve been mugged and robbed !😁 The young people that work here are lovely. Personable and efficient. It’s a pleasure not to be missed.

Visited sat 6th sept what a delightfull place .Spotlessly clean and a good menu.Staff were friendly and quick .We couldn't make up our mind of which pizza topping to have and the gentleman said he would do half and half for us 😍problem solved 👍Had the fig,blue cheese,fennel and hazel nut one O.M.G who ever thought that up should get an award .Taste and textures were incredible ,plus a lovely spicey meat feast on the other side .We are here for a few more days and will definetly visit again .Plus had a cracking pint of cider too Not one that I have come across before😊

Lovely staff and great food! Not cheap, but money well spent. The restaurant was also clean and modern too.

My wife and I come to wander around the town, and popped in for lunch. She had the Lobster linguine, and I chose the monkfish, crab & mussel curry. She very much enjoyed hers; as for me, the curry was flavoursome but not too spicy, the monkfish tender and the rice perfect. Easily the best meal I've had for a long time. We're very glad we came.

Friendly staff and absolutely delish food. We had mushroom burgers, fish, and chips served with peas in curry sauce, special tartare sauce, and salads. We finished it off with carrot cakes. It's all hard to forget, for sure 😋😋. It's worth the visit. There is a lovely view from the windows upstairs.

We had lunch today and I can say I have never ate better Fish burger! My husband had Sunday beef roast and it was delicious!! Highly recommend this place. Staff were beyond amazing.

This is an absolute gem of a place to relax and eat. I arrived here this morning after cycling from Penzance to view the wonderful harbour and was looking to find somewhere for breakfast. As I was cycling back towards Penzance this literally smacked me in the face by the side of the harbour. I arrived with my fold up Brompton bike, found myself a table tucked away downstairs where there was plenty of space for the folded bike. I was dripping wet from the rain, but no one made an issue of it. Table service was excellent and I ordered the small Cornish breakfast. Now as a cyclist, hiker and keen traveller, I’ve had a lot of cooked breakfasts both good and not so good. This was exceptional. It came to the table fresh, cooked to perfection and piping hot. And boy oh boy did it taste good. I don’t think I’ve had better. This is a dog friendly place. Which always gets a thumbs up from me and I think you can always judge these smaller establishments by the toilet facilities, and this was spotless. I cannot rate this place highly enough. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your wonderful deli and cafe. Today is my birthday and I couldn’t have started it any better. I can absolutely recommend this place for quality, service and atmosphere. What an absolute Cornish diamond!!!

Had been in Cornwall for nearly a week eating lunch out every day when we visited here. By far the best place, the food although not cheap was fantstic. If you want quality over quantity this is the place to go. The staff were very attentive and helpful.

Not good enough for the price, but some commendable things. The food is expensive and portions are smaller than average. This is ok sometimes if it is excellent. Sadly the experience was a little mixed. The staff are lovely and friendly. Super professional. The drinks are very expensive (£7 for beer, bottle not draught). Some food was good, with most cooked very well. The batter on my fritto misto was delicate, chips were on point, chicken supreme was moist. The tartare sauce could be bottled and sold, seriously. However most of what I ate was underwhelming in flavour. The Beef cheek arancini - honestly if you closed your eyes you'd have no idea what you were eating. It had such a delicate flavour you couldn't really detect it. The chips and fish were cooked on point but bland and under seasoned. For a meal for 2 for near £100 you'd expect to be struck by flavours. We weren't really, and having tried twice, won't be returning for an evening meal. The takeaway menu looks great and is cheaper. Maybe try that. But for a restaurant to charge the same as some of those in the Michelin guide, and not season food enough, bit of an issue for me. Given a generous 4 stars because the staff were lovely and some things were good.

This is without doubt the best cafe in the U K in my experience. One of the best in the world that I have visited. If a cafe could be awarded a Michelin star this would deserve it. I had an English breakfast, top class. My partner had the vegetarian version which was incredible, truly superb. Restaurants should use this as a standard for vegetarian meals as mostly the veggie options are an afterthought. I applaud the Fat Apples staff for the high standard of food and for their impeccable service and politeness.

Just back from a fantastic birthday lunch and the salads are just amazing… followed by a huge meringue with delicious raspberry coulis, sorbet and a candle in the top as it is my birthday. Impromptu singing from the staff added to the occasion. What a great place this is!! Good mix of locals and visitors here today too which was lovely to see!

We were recommended there by locals in St.Keverne. Two miles of windy roads and thoroughly worth it! Peaceful location, warm welcome, truly delicious, colourful, fresh food and takeaway options too. Highly recommended! Seasonal opening March to October, offering breakfasts and beyond.

A sweet family run cafe with an eclectic feel! Friendly staff, great food! We had a polenta cake (home made) and a bacon bap with coffee. Both excellent and beautifully served. The breakfast looked amazing. I heard another customer compliment them for the vegetarian breakfast. I will have to go back when I am a bit more hungry (my bacon bap was on top of my earlier breakfast at home!)

Such lovely delicious food! You can just tell how much time and effort has gone in to making these gorgeous salads! All whole foods! Couldn’t recommend enough

Very tasty food, great to have sautéed potatoes along side a bacon roll. The coffee was very good, and served by cafetière to table as opposed to a coffee machine at the counter. Look forward to going back again.

A nourishing heaven! We had most amazing healthy brunch at Fore Street cafe. Everything that came to the table was so delicious. We were group of 6 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals here. The flavors were expertly balanced, and the presentation was Instagram-worthy. The menu is thoughtfully crafted to cater to various dietary needs, and the portions are generous. The atmosphere of the cafe was very welcoming and the staffs were very polite too. Look no further and just visit here. I recommend booking table.

A great brunch cafe and great coffee. I would recommend the avocado toast. For coffee lovers this does have amazing coffee! The portions are also nice and filling. I would recommend reserving here beforehand .

This place is a Gem! We look forward to our visits here everytime we venture down from Kent. The quality of produce and service is second to none and even in these trying times for hospitality standards remain the same. Love the haggis crumb with breakfast. If you want quality food and service look no further. Heard people saying was pricy well you get what you pay for in life, if you want a cheap breakfast find a Wetherspoons !!

I love this place, honestly my go to for a good breakfast in newquay. Recommend the “healthy” with an egg it’s so delicious that I get it every time. Can become busy so if you definitely want to sit inside you can always book which is nice :))

Called in for lunch. Ordered cheese & spring onion toastie and classic toastie. £8 each. Quite shocked at how little we got ! Two slices of bread with cheese and spring onion ? Where is the filling ? And couldn’t taste and spring onion. There could have been a few crisps and a bit of salad. So we paid £19.50 for two of these a cup of tea and glass of milk. No tip paid as already overpaid ! The star I have given it is for the cafe and polite service but if that’s all you want then go ahead but if you want feeding walk on ….

I had mushrooms on toast which sounds dull & basic but it was not! It was the most delicious mushroom on toast I’ve ever had! Tarragon, cream, herb oil dressing and fancy mushrooms. I added a poached egg which was also perfect. There were plenty of vegan and gluten free options. The pastries looked amazing but I was really full after my breakfast so maybe next time. Staff are all really friendly and service was great. Dogs are allowed. Seating on 2 floors & outside.

A little gem of a cafe, selling breakfast baps, coffee, and cakes, with great service. This cafe is situated in the village of Pentewen, with a couple of minutes walk to a lovely beach. I had a flat white and a piece of banana cake,which was luscious and soft. A very recommended cafe to visit.

Amazing cake order for a birthday. I ordered a big Devils Food Cake for a friend’s birthday last weekend. Such a delicious treat! Everyone loved the cake - we had a 12/14 portion cake but it easily served 20. Absolutely delicious, thank you!

A sweet little cafe tucked in nextvto the Ship Inn (no affiliation though). It seems to be popular with the locals. Not a lot of seating, we were lucky to go on a sunny day and sit outside. The toilet was basic, up some stairs outside. The food looked amazing, and I really enjoyed my hot chocolate. I found the food too rich - I ordered a Viennese whirl and I'm pretty sure it was filled with butter. As the shortbread was also very buttery, I just couldn't eat it. My daughter struggled with the very rich brownie too, but they kindly gave us a takeaway bag so she could finish it later!

Had a nice break after walking for a few miles. The milkshake was really good. The bacon brie and cranberry was a good combo, and I'm getting hungry again thinking about it. They had a good selection of cakes and at a good price compared to places nearby. Would recommend.

Always pop into little bay if we are in Pentewan. They do the best lemon and lime cheese cake ever. They also do a great caramel slice. Always friendly and don't mind that I often have a muddy spaniel in tow. It's a compact cafe but well worth a visit.

We have visited the Mill on a few occasions. Outside area looking rather 'tired', but the cream scones were to die for. We had a very friendly Robin join us for a bite. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

We've visited Mellinsey Mill for years, when we lived in Cornwall, and since we left. Still a totally unique experience, so peaceful and calm, with amazing nature around you. Always great service, and you can walk to Pendower Beach from here, which is a great way to burn off all those yummy calories you've just eaten 😁 parking is limited, but we've rarely had a problem parking here. Definitely worth a visit or 10!

The mill looked very interesting hence why he stopped for tea , the inside was cool very quirky ! Nice little pond to sit next too aswell outside with a covered seating area too! Had a nice cup of tea and a milkshake , the sweet treats all looked very good but didn’t try unfortunately. Loved all the crafts gifts upstairs but highlight was definitely smudge 🤣 even if we lost our table to her and her quest to drink our drinks!!

Friendly service with a quiet atmospheric location. Would be a 5* apart from when we arrived all the savory food was unfortunately sold out. The cake's (lemon drizzle) and scones were undoubtedly tasty but not quite what we were looking for.

Love this place. Great cream tea, fresh made scones. And the other cakes are amazing too. Got a lovely vibe, especially when the suns out. Keep your eyes peeled for the kingfisher. And they are super nice to cyclists. Even opened up early for our group 👍

What a beautiful place to have dinner. Its not the first time we've been and everytime we go it never fails to impress. The pizzas are some of the best I've ever had. Such a lovely warm atmosphere. Great service, everyone is so friendly. Magical place. Highly recommend!

Amazing little craft shop and restaurant, well off the beaten track but well worth a visit if in the area.

Went on a Friday night , firstly the place was busy but a nice busy the atmosphere was very nice it felt under control by the staff. To start we had the squid which was probably the best I’ve had , you can really tell it’s fresh. As for the mains I had the beef brisket which tasted great ! The gravy was a highlight. My partner had the fish and chips , chips were delightful and fish was pretty decent but nothing special . I thought the service was brilliant, very attentive and friendly. Didn’t catch our waiters name but he told us they were even a staff member down on the night , never would of guessed. Overall 5/5 experience

There are no words for how amazing the food is. I have never tasted anything by quite like this. I never want to get the taste out of my mouth. The presentation is so incredible. If I could I would kiss the chef whoever they are! DONT WALK RUN TO THIS PLACE. The crispy chilli beef and the ribs are on a different level. I will remember this day for the rest of my life. Thank you! The chef deserves so much credit. Staff are lovely and friendly too.

I had the ribs and schnitzel at Thomas Daniel and really enjoyed the food. The ribs were tender and full of flavor, while the schnitzel was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Generous portions and a nice balance of seasoning made it a satisfying meal. Definitely a good spot if you’re craving hearty comfort food.

As recently moved to the area and this place being our local we came here the other day for some lunch and it was beautiful so we booked to come for there Sunday lunch I ordered beef and to be honest when your paying basically £25 for a roast you kind of expect the beef to separate with no issue and be like butter whilst chewing however mine was tough as anything was given a steak knife to cut and even this was struggling to cut through it massively disappointed took it back to the bar can't fault the staff they took it off the bill no questions just highly disappointing will look elsewhere for a local Sunday roast in future plus very very minimal veg for nearly £73 for 3 roast and given on measeley portion of green veg and a tiny portion of cauliflower cheese never known a roast to not come with brocoli cauliflower carrots ? Was just a very underwhelming experience in my own personal opinion

Somewhat dissapointing. Went for Sunday lunch with a large party for my birthday. We were a little late to the table due to trouble finding somewhere to park, despite arriving 15 mins early (so would advise to arrive even earlier) The waiting staff were polite but felt a little slow (but it was busy) but found time to hang around at the bar. Food took quite a while to come out but again we were a large party, was a little over done (not burnt) but very brown , is the easiest way to explain. 1 piece of parsnip, some swede puree, a small dish of mixed greens (cabbage, leeks & a few petit peas) & an over done bowl of Cauliflower cheese. All served on a dark coloured plate in a dimly lit room, hence the discription of brown. Food wasn't terrible but didn't blow my mind for the £24 plate price ( + for extras). My husband loves over done food so was happy. I will say the highlight for me was the Sticky Toffee pudding it was amazing ! ( yes I know its brown, but it's meant to be) Would I go again ? Not for Sunday lunch but maybe try their normal menu.

Great Food, Disappointing Service: The Food: Excellent Quality and Speed ​The best part of our visit was definitely the food. Our meals arrived very fast, and the quality was very good. I ordered the steak and was extremely happy with the preparation. ​One small note on the steak: While the meal was delicious, I had to use a butter knife for the steak, which made it unnecessarily difficult to eat. A proper steak knife should definitely be provided. ​Service Needs Significant Improvement ​Unfortunately, the service detracted significantly from the dining experience. ​Initial Seating: Despite having a reservation, we were simply pointed to a table "over in the corner" rather than being properly seated. This felt dismissive and was not a great start. ​Lack of Follow-Up: After our table was cleared, the service essentially stopped. ​We were not offered dessert menus. ​We were not offered additional drinks while we finished our current ones. ​We sat for a significant period after the restaurant had quieted down, waiting for attention that never came. ​Getting the Bill: Ultimately, we had to go up to the bar to request the bill. When I mentioned the issues regarding the lack of follow-up service and the seating, the response was a simple, unhelpful "I'm sorry" with no attempt at resolution or further acknowledgment. ​Overall ​While the chef deserves high praise for the excellent food, the front-of-house service needs serious attention and training. The poor hospitality and lack of follow-through made the experience frustrating. I hope the restaurant addresses these issues, as they have the potential to be truly excellent with better service.

We enjoyed the bathtub, comfortable bed, the hotel smelled nice throughout, harbor view at breakfast and anytime at the deck/terrace. The breakfast was fine- a fair price, decent food, and a stellar harbor view. You must have breakfast there. It’s not any fault of the hotel’s that parking is a bit difficult and the age of the building prevents it from being more handicap-accessible.

The hotel is in a beautiful location with comfy rooms and a great view. The restaurant is incredibly slow in the morning - you often need over an hour just to eat, and the staff is prickly the whole time. I was on a tour and they booked us here, but the hotel is better suited for those on a loose schedule, rather than on strict timelines as part of a tour.

Right on the harbor with lovely views from the restaurant. Odd layout and ups and downs making way to room until we figured it out. They have porters for your luggage. Bathroom great! Satisfied!!

Went to Greenbank Hotel for parents 60th wedding anniversary lunch. Dining area looks out onto Falmouth estuary and you can see the boats on the water. Service was fantastic and our lunch was excellent. Highly recommended.

Our party of six had sunday lunch with great views across the harbour. The greenbank staff never let you down with quality service always. Food & wine was excellent, can't fault anything. Thank you again for looking after us so well

Great harbour waterfront hotel with amazing views, great choice of pub and restaurant dining with great menu's and food, sumptuous breakfasts, easy free parking, great staff and service. Short 10 minute walk into town and 20 minutes to the main quay for ferries all over the estuary. Recommend harbour view room.

This is a hotel I would very much like to return to due to the fantastic river-side location. This provides wonderful views from many rooms, plus easy access to the water to swim or paddle. Food and service are very good. However, parking is a problem and front of mind when vacating a spot is whether anything will be available on return. Seems unlikely when there is a function on. Only solution is paying £35/ night to reserve a space. Also, hermetically sealed fire doors mean no real cross flow of air possible in the rooms. In a warm spell this means an uncomfortable night. Would be happy to pay an extra £35 a night if these problems could be addressed.

As a non resident, we popped in for food on Sunday evening. The restaurant service was great and our host was too. The fish and chips were delicious. Prices were fair and for the alcohol too but there was a 10% charge that we were not aware of but could have missed it! Either way the service was fab and the venue is well located. Thanks so much!

We had a great experience staying here and would come back. Location is very good, plenty of parking and fairly priced. Food was nice, staff were friendly. Room was a little on the small side but was clean. Well worth 5 stars.

The room was tiny the bathroom. Was unbelievable small with the smallest sink that could be fitted. The food was excellent as we're the staff the location was almost perfect, this was a last min booking due to booking.com misinformation. The dog barking above us was a bit annoying as well. Over all everything except the room was great

Lovely hotel for our short break. Room was spacious, clean & comfortable. The bathroom was modern & well equipped . Breakfast was delicious & the staff were helpful. We’d stay again.

Decided to stop off on our way to The Fish House. Good spot for the sunset but the young bar lady with the long dark hair was incredibly rude and totally put us off. The tables were left dirty on the veranda and she actually watched us clear glasses and crisp packets from the previous guests. Amazing! Who wants to pay £15.40 for 2 drinks and not be made to feel welcome. She needs to be in a role that us behind the scenes and not front of house! In an already different trading environment you really need staff members that are going to make your place shine. One other thing, why not have table service when you so quiet? Better to have staff doing something rather than just standing around looking bored.

Was here back at the end of March, for a few days with my partner and our son, cannot fault it, room was immaculate, best fish and chips I've ever had in my life, the rest of the food was amazing, staff were all lovely, plenty of parking options, views are brilliant, masterpiece of a hotel.

Attended this Hotel for the Newquay Male Voice Choir Annual Dinner 🍽, ...... Hawian Themed evening. Expensive bar??? £4.50 for a pint of lemonade! I was driving. Otherwise a great venue out the back of hotel 🏨

What has happened to the menu? In the last couple of times I've been here the menu has changed quite significantly and is no longer offering the same options as it used to with the lunch menu. This is a great shame as it used to be plenty of options and the sandwich options used to be outstanding but now it' feels like dave trim the options right back. I hope this change is again soon because we really used to enjoy coming here but last couple of times it hasn't felt the same.

This is a lovely place to visit good food fast service and friendly really busy at times to find from truro take a390 drive to andrew tom car sales turn into there and drive past and take a right turn down the lane at end of lane turn right and Griggs is on the left breakfast finish at 11.00 but good food all day 😀

Visited while visiting my son in June, Had a full Cornish breakfast, although we arrived at opening time for breakfast mine was dried up like it had been on a hot plate for hours it appeared nothing on my plate was freshly cooked. I've had food in previous years and it was good, I can only assume chef has changed or had a bad day

Busy lunch time even on a Tuesday. My New York bagel was excellent but my partner said he would not recommend the beef curry. Little lacking in taste and the bhajis were very well done, very dark in colour. Coffee was good and the service was friendly and very efficient. We didn't think it was a bad price overall. Would go again and try something else.

A great place any time of the day to go for a bite too eat. Great choice of food, caters for everyone. Value for money on food portions especially the roasts on Sundays and the desserts. They have seating outside and on the balcony. There is a lift as seating on the first floor, toilet facilities available.

This beautiful gem makes you fall in love with it. Tucked away on Cliff road this cafe is has everything to love about. Despite being small inside, it has beautiful character and warmth. Outside seating is also available. Delightful menu, quick service and polite customer service with good music and good atmosphere. It is definitely on my to go back list. Highly recommend

Firstly the staff are incredibly polite & kind. With a very welcoming nature. Although there was a slightly altered menu due to Boardmasters event being on, I was still struggling to pick as everything sounded lovely. I decided on the bacon, egg & hash brown sandwich on a Brioche bun. It was hands down the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. All ingredients were super fresh & delightfully tasty. As someone who loves their food & is happy to pay that little extra for excellence I would say the price point is spot on. This is a wonderful little independent cafe that deserves your support. Oh & the latte with oat milk really hit the spot. 5 stars all day

An Absolute Gem in Newquay! 🌞☕🥑 Nalu Café is a true hidden gem — the kind of place you want to keep to yourself but can’t help raving about! I had the brekkie wrap and was seriously impressed — a delicious mix of scrambled eggs, mushrooms, avocado, and cheese; all brought together with what I can only describe as a magic blend of spices. My partner went for the French toast with banana which really delivered with great flavours. Perfectly indulgent. Add to that the welcoming staff, a sunny outdoor seating spot, proper delicious coffee, and the fact that they’re open 7 days a week (a rarity in Newquay!) — and you've got yourself a must-visit café. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back!

Really lovely coffee and a very delicious bagel. Coffee art was on point and bagel was great value and fantastic portion. Only thing to note is it’s a small venue, we were lucky to get a seat!

A lovely addition to Gweek. Absolutely beautiful location right on the river bank within the boatyard. Very friendly and welcoming owners and their team. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is yum and the coffee is lovely. Their years of experience in other locations shine through. They offer gluten-free amongst their options. The atmosphere is so pleasant I stayed long enough to have a second cuppa!! The new owners have done a lovely job with the fittings and decor too both inside and out in their riverside garden.

This cafe is located where the old boathouse cafe used to be. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. Thanks to Gordon Ramsey's endorsement it's also quite busy!

Came here for breakfast whilst working away. Turkish Eggs were awesome, and the setting was very tranquil and relaxed. Could easily have spent another couple of hours there! Nice coffee, too.

Absolutely gorgeous place, recently reopened, had a absolutely fantastic cream tea , two fluffy warm scones , ample cream and jam with a fantastic view, so friendly and welcoming so pleased they are open again will definitely be returning soon 🙂

What a truly friendly team they are at Polpeor Lizard Point, we were welcomed & shown to our table just back from the cliff edge with uninterrupted views out to sea, with the wildlife (birds) flitting in & out from our table for some crumbs. The tea was plentiful & hot, then there was the choices of cakes, simple to die for, but does add a few pounds to your waistline, oh well! You only live once, enjoying it, diet another day. A big Thank you goes out to the team, you were brilliant & the food flavours amazing.

We came for a late lunch when we visited the Lizard Point. We do recommend the crab sandwich. Would try the seafood platter next year if available. Kids had scampi with chips and extra chips. The view is stunning. The service was so very quick. Would recommend to come again. When we arrived, we been given binoculars to spot some seals.

We have been eating here for many years, during our yearly break in Cornwall. It is now under new management, hello Jackie. She is extremely friendly & welcoming, as were all of the staff, during a busy period. Great menu choice. My husband had a sandwich, with fries, crisps & salad dressing. A large portion. I had a very delicious slice of carrot cake, with extra clotted cream. Definitely recommended. Everything was reasonably priced. The café was clean & the views outstanding. Definitely worth a visit. Superb position with spectacular views of the coastline and wildlife. Excellent friendly service. We had the chowder and feta with beetroot salad both being plentiful portions. Good choice of drinks and cakes too. Just note there are no loos on the premises only in the carpark.

We came upon this beautiful cafe with the most amazing view, overlooking the sea today, the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was lovely to see it busy and we can see why as the food was delicious and the coffee excellent. We will definitely be back!

Whilst out on our coastal walk we decided to stop off at this beautiful Cornish cafe, the scenery was breathtaking and we even got to see a few seals! The freshly cooked food was delicious and value for money was definitely worth it. We even got told that they have a new menu coming out soon. Can’t wait to try it when we are back down again.

We visited twice in a week for lunch and it was excellent. I’d recommend booking at peak times if you want to eat. We also bought some bits for a BBQ and they were great as well. Everything is homemade and all tastes amazing. Even a plain old ham sandwich takes a different dimension with fresh bread and locally reared pigs. Oh and the views are pretty special as well. Next time we’re in the area we’ll be sure to visit again.

Possibly one of the most splendidly situated farm shops in the country! Just a breathtaking location by the sea, with cute fluffy cows for company in the nearby field. I enjoyed a yummy rum & raisin ice cream here. The staff were really kind and helpful. Highly recommend this place.💛

A must visit in Boscastle, up on the hill on the way into Boscastle. Lots of gifts and food to stock up on in the shop. Great cafe with lots of cakes and scones and pasties and all sorts of treats.

This farm shop was a brilliant find. We went twice, whilst in the area on holiday. We came for lunch one day and for breakfast another day. - The Farm shop is also situated next to a coastal path which have some fantastic views around the area. I definitely recommend going for a walk too! My partner and I are coeliac and there were plenty of options available to us! Very refreshing to be given some choice when catering to our dietary requirements. I enjoyed a bloody gorgeous caramelised red onion and goats cheese, gluten free toastie. It was so tasty! When we came for breakfast I had a gluten free cooked breakfast, and my partner had the gluten free breakfast bap. Nothing to fault. All the food was delicious.

Booked in for dinner, had a lovely meal (chicken curry and pie of the day). Reasonably priced. Attentive and friendly staff. Enjoyed it so much h we booked in another night before we left. Had Quiche and fish and chips, didn't disappoint.

My wife and I went to Cornwall to see our daughter and grandchildren on their holidays, we booked a meal here without ever going before, we were all very pleasantly surprised. My wife and I liked the meal with our family so much that we went back the following day. The food was amazing, the portions are LARGE and the service was excellent, friendly & prompt. Next time we return to St Austell we know where to go to have another lovely meal 😋. Thank you again for a great experience

Stopped off enroute, well worth the stop. The food are drink are fantastic with a beautiful bar and garden. We stopped with 2 young kids and they thoroughly enjoyed the bouncy castle and open garden. Can't comment on the rooms as we didn't stay however if they are to the same standard as the rest then i would expect them to be excellent

Came here in May to celebrate my partners birthday. We didn't stop in the hotel,but we ate in the waves restaurant,the meal was gorgeous,the best we have had for a while whilst on holiday. The drink prices were a bit steep but it is a hotel,so I suppose that can be accepted. But will definitely be back

Fabulous location, with a friendly staff that can't do enough to make your stay more enjoyable. Food is excellent, but do not order the large fish and chips. Portions are very hearty! Phil is a delight to chat with, and was kind enough to organise taxis for us. Highly recommend, whether you're passing through and need a decent meal, or staying overnight.

Well what can I say... Very impressed. Having a Camervan this was ideal.. Big field with elsan point, water, toilets all FREE. Had the full breakfast which was absolutely spot on 👌 very good quality and tasty. Staff were nice and attentive. Just wish more pubs would do this and to this standard. 10/10 well done, definitely come back. Many thanks.

Very disappointed with the lunch. Ordered the lentil bake. It looked and tasted like it had come out of an Iceland frozen box and was pretty tasteless. Came along with a standard salad as a starter. This for £10.95! My partner had a ploughman's lunch - was pretty standard. Prices are overly inflated. Did tell the waitress who apologised. Would of expected a discount. Have noticed someone else said the same thing about the lentil bake, shame they haven't changed it. Had cream tea which was fine.

We had a very nice stay at this charming, elegant hotel. The hotel has a great mix of character and modern accommodations, and we loved the hearing sounds of the river through the window. Ross is a treasure and was great to our group and I can’t say enough good things about the friendly service.

Breakfast here is always a solid choice for me & my family. Whenever we are in the area we make a trip especially. Always great quality, great prices with the Breakfast Club, and friendly staff all the time (Sasha is always kind and can’t do enough for us).

Great location, the Room was very clean and really enjoyed stream under the window. All staff members helpful and friendly. Breakfast was tasty, but unfortunately dinner oposite, food was very bland.

Visited the restaurant and had lunch on a Friday, ordered the Fish and Chips which were ok, though it was not served with tartar sauce or mushy peas. My partner, on the other hand, ordered the only vegan option which was a lentil cake, under seasoned and mushy, seemed cooked from frozen. They would definitely gain from having at least a vegan burger option, if not a well thought-out vegan dish. The atmosphere is definitely dated, but nice only due to the creek that goes along its side.

We had a delicious dinner with my wife. I had a rosemary pork loin with caramelised red onions and cheddar, mash potatoes and grilled vegetables. It was both original and very tasty! The staff was very friendly too. Highly recommended!

I would have given this hotel 5 stars but the room we were in was beautiful but extremely hot the windows were unable to open very much due to safety reasons there was no other room to move too but hotel management extremely helpful and offered to find us another hotel but as we were only there two night we managed to put up with it. The terrace of the hotel garden bus fabulous running next to a stream with cute ducks feeding x x would highly recommend this hotel .

Saw this place on Rate my takeaways channel on YouTube, who gave Nice Baps a pretty good review and so decided to visit myself. Was not disappointed. The menu is quite varied for a small roadside burger shack. Staff friendly when ordering. Prices seemed very reasonable. Decided to have the Atlantic burger, which took around 10 mins to arrive. Waited at the outside seating. When the burger arrived, it looked brilliant. Two thick perfectly cooked, juicy yet charred patties, which were side by side, not stacked, 2 slices of thick cut perfectly cooked bacon, loads of cheddar cheese, and the obligatory salad, all in a bap with ketchup and mayo. This burger was excellent. So tasty. We will definitely be returning to give their local produce cooked breakfast a go next time. Also, the hot dog looks amazing, so that's on the list too. They really do have Nice Baps!

The team always stops for food when they are working. Great food and atmosphere to keep them going throughout the day! Would always highly recommend as it’s definitely one of the highlights of Cornwall!

What an amazing place. Kevin was friendly, funny and charming. I was cold so he gave me a jacket and we ate outside. Good thing too because the hotdogs were amazing. Messy because the kids are kids. He entertained the boys with magic tricks and jokes. He also gave them lollies and cakes. It's nice to know all the meat comes from the farm over the road. It was a really enjoyable time with amazing food.

This couple owned business offers some of the best Baps I have had. I would recommend the melts on the menu as they are the best thing I have ever had. Kevin who is the owner showed us some great magic tricks as well, great hospitality overall and quality food. I would definitely recommend for a quick bite as they serve quite fast as well.

My first visit and it definitely won't be my last! Such a relaxed atmosphere, and tunes from my teenage years, what's not to enjoy. I had a roast beef dinner where they didn't skimp on portion size and it was fantastic. I couldn't resist a slice of chocolate gateau afterwards and that too was a very generous slice and so delicious. The staff were friendly, the menu included vegetarian and vegan meals and there's a huge free carpark. Great place for a relaxed vibe and great food. Smokey's gets 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 from me 😄

Smokey Joe’s is a place that serves proper comfort food in a chilled setting and is great if you’re just passing through Cornwall or looking for a nice place to eat while holidaying. Massive portions, no pretence, just real hearty food. You definitely get your money’s worth. Staff are warm and down-to-earth, and the vibe inside is old-school cosy. Only thing is, if it’s busy, you might wait a bit. But good food takes time, and the portions more than make up for it.

Popped in for breakfast during our stay in Newquay. I chose this place because of the menu options. When I'm in England, I always order 4 fried eggs, 2 black puddings, and 2 sausages for breakfast every day. The breakfast did not disappoint. The staff were great and chatted us up about our trip. The price was under 14 pounds. I highly recommend eating here. All of the bakery items looked outstanding. I'll be back when I am in the area again.

While browsing for places to eat in Cornwall I came across cafe could drawn in by its Vegan afternoon tea And a must have in Cornwall of course so me and my parents went for breakfast on a Sunday morning after strolling to Fistral beach worked up an appetite to let the dog run off some steam before eating as they’re dog friendly so he could come too Inside is small and quickly with a welcoming cafe vibe decorated in clouds which is very fitting My parents got a small breakfast with orange juice which they enjoyed , good quality ingredients and customise to what you like and I had a Warm fresh large scone with Jam and coconut cream ( the debate which goes first ?) Paired with Cornish tea and soya milk They Cater for allergens and different dietary ( if it wasn’t so early in the morning I probably would of got a waffle too ) Just what you need , quick , easy and tasty The staff were friendly and efficient me and my mum even got bracelets that were handmade One thing to note which was a shock there is No toilet so need to find in the area

Had an absolutely amazing brunch here. The food was delicious and the staff were really lovely and ever so helpful with making sure my food was gluten free and vegan and explaining how they have a separate area for gluten free with separate utensils and boards etc. I had a cooked breakfast and then the waffles which were Out Of This World! And are freshly made in store. I also took a frozen pasty home which I can’t wait to try. I definitely recommend (plus they are dog friendly)

Super busy and crowded, not many tables and are super small and very close to gether so a table for 4 only holds food and drink for 3 at most, we had to balance plates on lap and hold coffee in our hands. prices are reasonable, we thought the Cornish pasties were average and nothing special, not much flavor. Coffee was pretty good.

Pasty very tasty, full of flavour. Hot chocolate was also one of the best I have tried. Adequate seating, staff happy to help and find empty seats\ tables. Would definitely visit again if the area.

Two choices of vegan pasty (both delicious) and a vegan raspberry croissant, plus a good selection of hot and cold drinks. The staff were really friendly and happy to check whether drinks were vegan for me. Paying by card seems to make things more streamlined, and makes sense for efficiency and security!

Lovely little spot on your way to the castle. The ambiance is nice and chic, they have some very comfy armchairs by the windows! We ordered a traditional pasty, a chocolate torsades, a cloudy lemonade and an iced latte. Everything was quite nice - especially loved the cloudy lemonade which has a strong lemon flavour but is not sour!

What a place I was recommended here by locals in my village pub 27 miles away this place didn’t disappoint. Really good poached eggs and avocado on toast and “the ladies” serving were a lovely bunch of folk! Would recommend to anyone and so much so I have a second coffee. I will be back and thank you!

Second visit as we enjoyed our first in which we just had takeaway coffee. This visit we stayed for lunch. While the food was tasty everything else was a huge disappointment. I am disabled with an access card, one of my disabilities means urgency for the toilet. When I went to go the toilet it had a sign on stating ‘out of order’. I asked a staff member if they had another toilet I could use. I was told no it’s out of order there are public ones somewhere down there in town, with a vague point and told that they had never used them so didn’t know their location. I had to go in search for the toilet, which was also a problem as I have limited mobility due to my disabilities. When I eventually found it there was a huge queue. When I finally got back my child and partner they had finished as they had been waiting so long we left, meaning I didn’t really get to experience anything relaxing or nice from the cafe. The food also came with dirty cutlery and dirty saucer for the tea. It isn’t really good enough to not have a working toilet there is a legal requirement over 10 seats which there are more than that. Staff could do with being a bit friendlier and making sure that the customer asking for toilet access, is helped to find a solution on site.

Lovely place for an early morning coffee and croissant - also dog friendly, this is a great spot and lots of freshly baked pastries, highly recommended.

We go here at least once a week. The staff are great and always happy. They are welcoming and always smiling. The place is child and dog friendly too. The Cornish pudding is amazing, as is the latte. Our kids love the hot chocolate.

My partner & I visit Looe on a regular basis, and have always made the Cornish Bakery our go to place for a cream tea. The scones were always delicious and fresh tasting. So you can imagine my disappointment, when we visited to find that you had stopped doing plain scones and only serve fruit scones :( Not everyone likes a fruit scone! Staff were pleasant enough though.

Last time I came they were rude to my dad but we thought maybe they were having an off day. But no, they were rude and unfriendly again. Long wait with no acknowledgement from staff although 3 were serving. Jasmine who served me was rude and blunt. No sugar on tables and we were not asked if we needed any so I had to search for my own. We definitely won't be coming back next time.

My wife and I visited and ordered a standard breakfast, a big breakfast, a cappuccino and a hot chocolate. We had seen that the reviews were great and we were not disappointed! The staff were friendly and accommodating and the restaurant was very clean. Our order was taken promptly. When our food arrived, the plates were hot and the food was piping hot. The sausages and bacon were very tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful! Multiple staff checked that we were happy with our food and were very personable. Was lovely to support a family business and hope many more people do so. Would highly recommend!

Really great breakfast! Very much worth visiting, we’ve been two days in a row and ordered the same both times, it’s a new favourite! I was avoiding gluten, they were helpful in explaining what had gluten in and had gluten-free oat milk and gluten free bread and wraps. Extra plus is that these were the best coffees we’ve had in Padstow!

A really great place to admire the view of the estuary and the boats, as well as serving a great selection of food and drinks. In particular the vegan options were good and varied. The vegan fish and chips was wonderful! (Made with banana blossom). Also dog friendly with lots of space between tables so that it doesn't feel overwhelming for the pooch.

Alrighty so this place is awesome. We went here a few times after being stunned by how good the steak was! The staff are really nice and friendly, and as we were a bit early for the afternoon menu the chef overheard us asking about it and offered to cook it anyway which was really nice, and I’m glad they did as we came back another three times for the same thing. It’s a little difficult to find if you have not been before and parking is a bit of an issue. You can park for free on the road if you are lucky, or pay for parking in the lot right next to the pier. Try this place out, it’s an awesome spot to relax outside on the balcony, eat some good food and enjoy your drinks whilst looking over the harbour.

Decided on the off-chance to pop in here for lunch. Made to feel very welcome by the staff and shown to a super outside table with a panoramic view of the creek and boats. Finn was our waiter, great customer care, looked after us very well indeed; friendly, helpful and attentive......wide selection on the menu and that which we chose was absolutely delicious. Totally recommend the relaxed, friendly atmosphere and yummy grub.

This is my second time, this time tried the vegetarian breakfast and they brought it vegan sausages that I couldn’t eat them, too artificial. You have improved the bread it’s sourdough and very tasty the same as the poached eggs 😃 The red peppers were from a tin, preferred fresh one as they are healthier. The bacon on the English breakfast was overdone we didn’t have time to be done again. The views from the place outside are lovely. Hopefully next time I can improve the review. The staff are friendly and it’s a nice place for children and dogs Good selection of delicious cakes, pancakes & coffees. Breakfast £13 each 😌

This is a great little café by the waterside with a good-sized outdoor space as well as plenty of room inside if you need shelter. The coffee was splendid, there was a decent choice of teas & the vegan banana cake was a tasty option, although the lemon drizzle cake looked equally delicious. The staff are very friendly & efficient & the place has a relaxed vibe.

They don't have their own parking but Exchequer Quay Car Park and road side parking surround the cafe, it would odd not to squeeze in somewhere close. Menu changed recently, they have some lovely dishes. Dog friendly through. Really chilled, popular, indoor and outdoor seating options. Staff are genuinely great.

Nice cafe Toilet is alright. The seating area is compact and tight. High chairs are available but have little space for them. Menu prices are ok sandwiches are maybe on the little high side but other prices are ok ish. Service was ok. The place stops serving food at 2.30, personally I think this is stupid and they turned away 5 people while we sat there and more as we passed later, it's nice to see somewhere in a position to turn money away. So.if you want food after 2.30pm this isn't the place for you.

We stopped for ice cream but found cake! Dottys was a busy little cafe/restaurant with nice big windows lovely and clean seating inside and out. Cakes and ice cream in the window we stopped and the staff were lovely very accommodating and informative we had a child with intolerance and they took time to ensure we were all happy with choice. Kids had ice cream but I opted for banoffee cake and the slab they put in front of me was indulgence to say the least. The lemon cake looked amazing too I can see me driving back just for that at some point. Parking just opposite, cafe is a little snug for tables but lots of lovely granny’s in there getting about with walking aides so they all manage. I would 100% say get yourself in there. Two young staff they served us you were both very lovely thank you for the hospitality.

The gluten and dairy free scones from Dotty's are absolutely amazing - my gluten free one looked even better than my partner's normal one!! Good coffee too. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Consistently great. Lovely staff, coping well with the busy lunchtime. The food and drinks are good - enjoy them outside with marina views if you can. Parking can be tricky on very busy days, but most of the time you can park in the main car park or behind the harbour

I love espressini, it's my go-to for an intimate place for coffee or brunch. It feels cosy and a safe space alone and has a gray vibe when I want to bring a friend. Friendly staff and excellent coffee and pastries and food. Can't fault it, I love it!

Came here for coffee and a cake on a rainy midweek morning. Service was very polite and speedy. The cappuccino was spot on, brownie good, however the hot chocolate wasn't up to scratch sadly. The prices were also pretty dear for most things, which makes it a three in the end. However, I would be willing to try again in the future.

Researched best places for breakfast in Falmouth and Espressini came up. So we visited them for brunch on our last day of our holiday and it was really fabulous. Chris, the manager was so friendly. He made us very welcome and with everyone who came in, whether dining in or taking away, he was very engaging and friendly and asking about their day etc. So nice to see such good customer service. 2 of us had the Eggs Benedict and shared some hash browns. My vegetarian daughter had the Eggs Florentine. All of the food was superb. This cafe is a must if you are in Falmouth. Just wish we lived locally!

Lovely coffee and amazing staff. Very friendly and go the extra mile... We ordered some coffees to drink in, they told us what they thought of them and how they were brewed. They asked whether we're new to the area or just travelling through, mentioned we were in Cornwall for a birthday and gifted us pastries! Loved it and would love to go back!

Amazing coffee and food! Seriously, it's insanely good. I had the waffles, my wife had the granola and we shared some hash browns. Great, friendly staff with a relaxed atmosphere. Go there. Now. Not now cause they're closed but as soon as they open.

Exactly what we want from a cafe that's open and serving food beyond 3pm. Dog friendly, lovely staff and a great menu. The food was 10/10.

Fab spot for a all day breakfast. Like the booth set up as feels more private than open plan. Really friendly staff. Good value. Does get bit busy and loud at times.. so not always the quietest place but good a business is busy. Definitely a go to for breakfast when in Truro.

I cant say enough about this lovely genuinely welcoming café, as soon as we walked through the door we were made to feel so welcome and when my partner asked asked if the establishment was dig free as she has a severe life threatening pet allergy she was told it wasn't but they would send anyone with dogs upstairs so she would be safe. This meant so much to us as much of cornwall seems to be dog friendly but not very people friendly and we had been unable to have meals in restraunts and cafes and when we had asked people either laughed as if we were joking or told us to sit outside and some were very rude. I just wish to thank all the staff at coffee traders for restoring our faith in humanity and being so caring understanding and friendly and not forgetting the food was so fresh and tasty.

Haven't been here in a while since the days of camping in a tent maybe 8 years ago. Theyve really improved the site, with an excellent little shop, bigger playarea and good mix between of overnight options like an apartment, static caravans and tent pitches. Views of the sea from every angle. Atmosphere really good and I find the location to be excellent in proximity to Bude and the main road.

Top notch breakfast, we stumbled upon this cafe as a toilet stop for our kids, and we're so glad we did. Tasty English breakfast, excellent sweet treats and great coffee. Also, a good selection of snacks, such as salt and malt vinegar crisps. Worth a stop! Lovely and friendly staff, too.

Just a stop for a coffee but surprised to find a great little camp site with good spotless facilities. The cafe and shop was well laid out and the staff were A1. Coffee was as good as it comes and the cake on offer was delicious. A good find I will use again when next in that area.

went to have a look at this site from the great reviews we saw.Popped into the shop and asked a young guy in there if we could have a look round the site.We were told in no uncertain terms to stay on the paths and not approach any of the caravans but it was said in a very off manner.Turned straight round and went off to another site further up the road where we had a completely different and much nicer welcome

I regularly stop by to enjoy the food and service, if only most of the time it is only for a piece of cake and coffee or two! Great value and very pleasant surroundings with a guaranteed welcome.

The Cornish breakfast, freshly cooked and a great start to our day in Mev. This little cafe is definitely a gem in the Mevagissey crown, and appears to be a favourite of tourists and locals. Thank you ladies, we will be seeing you again.

Visited The Lighthouse Cafe today on our day trip into Mevagissey. Beautiful little village and a lovely little cafe to visit to start the day! We ordered the Bacon, Brie & Cranberry Toastie. My partner had a Vanilla Latte and myself an orange juice. The toastie is one of the best I’ve had, packed full and great value! The 2 ladies there were friendly and welcoming. Would love to visit again if we’re back down in Cornwall on future holidays. Thank you😊

Really good breakfast .. couldn’t fault it at all .. super friendly lady behind the counter serving … would have gone again before we left but they were shut in the day we would have returned . The only negative was that I personally didn’t like the coffee ( sorry ! ) wouldn’t stop us going again but would have a cuppa instead !

Absolutely wonderful little cafe, myself and my partner had breakfast here while staying in the area. We were greeted by a lovely, friendly lady who sat us down and took our order at the table. This lady (as we overheard her saying to some regulars) was the only member of staff working that day as it was the 2nd of January, so she was taking orders and cooking all the food - she was amazing! The food was delicious and very generous portions. I had the vegan breakfast and my partner had the scrambled eggs with salmon, both faultless and extremely tasty. The coffee was excellent too. Very reasonable prices and a lovely homely atmosphere, couldn't ask for more!

The most delicious vegan cream tea, run by the nicest ladies and such a wonderful little treat of a cafe! We popped in earlier in the day to ask about their vegan cream tea and what time they close, they were super kind and recommended popping back a couple of hours later. When we did, the owners recognised us and welcomed us in, the cafe was empty at this point but quickly filled up again. This place is run by vegans so there are tonnes of great vegan/veggie options, and the traditional vegan cream tea is utterly delicious! We had a lovely chat with the owners about being vegan in Cornwall and the best places to visit in the little harbour towns, they also know of many of the vegan restaurants around us in London, and even gave us tips for making their delicious home made scones ourselves. We couldn't have asked for a better experience here and can't wait to visit again the next time we're in beautiful Mevagissey!

This is such a hidden gem of a cafe, the food is so tasty, we have had a few different things off the menu now and each time the food has always been delicious, because it is all homemade with fresh ingredients. The staff are so friendly they always make you feel welcome and it’s very reasonable too, would definitely recommend!

I travelled a long way, to this gem. Yes I'm going to post an over the top review. This coffee heaven in Truro has everything you could possibly want.. First the actual coffee. Brilliant! Smooth, silky and yet with the right taste that will leave you caffeine high. The vibe of this place, with its ambient techno music and it's Japanese prints on the wall, just adds to the experience. Basically, I didn't want to leave here.. Enjoy, if you make it down to Truro

Great coffee shop with plenty of gluten free and vegan options. The coffee is tasty too and I'd rather spend my money here than at one of the big chains. Plenty of seating and there's even a hatch to the outside world for quick takeaways. Will definitely be going there again - highly recommended.

Such incredible freshly squeezed orange juice, made properly with such an honest effort (much appreciated) Coffee is always excellent. A Truro staple for good reason. An automatic go~to for great coffee.

Nice cafe with outdoor seating. There was a warning at the counter to be aware of seagulls, and no refunds given if the seagulls get your food! 😦 Luckily for us we only saw pigeons, plenty of them, but none flying near the cafe or disturbing guests. The menu had a lot of good choice with several sandwiches available. Ibwent with the fish fingers, freshly prepared from the catch of the day. Very good and something nice to see. We also had ham and cheese toasties. Of special note was the Mackerel pate, which was very good. Our parasol over our table needed to be lowered, so we considered swapping tables. The server said it was because it was flapping too much, and have ended in the sea. Fortunately the server fixed it and we didn't need to move. The only negative was the wait, over 30 minutes. This has been the third time so far, so probably not reflective if the team here. One of the team who brought our food offered his apologies and offered us more drinks, we had mostly drunk what we originally ordered. This was very decent of him and we ordered a couple. I had a flat white which was very tasty, with nice latte style art. It was also served with a bourbon biscuit. Overall we enjoyed our visit and the food was worth the wait. Just make sure you have plenty of parking time, unlike us. The final thing to note. There are no toilets in the cafe. This is not a problem as there are free public toilets not far from the cafe.

Called into The Pier Cafe this morning for a bottle of sparkling water. Nice cafe on the pier, close to where the ferries dock. I chose to sit inside but there are several tables in a courtyard behind the cafe and some right on the peir which look across the river. We'll be back for lunch here another time for sure.

I had a cream tea here, and it was lovely. A good price and very tasty. The rest of the food that was being served looked amazing too. Highly recommend. Dogs are very welcome.

Had lunch here. Nice views on the harbour, but do not feed the seagulls. Toasties were pretty tasty. Good fries / chips. The crab sandwiches with lots of real crab needed some mayonnaise, salt and pepper to spice them up to our taste. Fun fact, when you order a plain tonic you will be asked which flavor of gin you want in it.

Popped in here for lunch. A lovely range of food for lunch. I had a risotto and my husband had a toasted sandwich with chips. Both were delicious. Would definitely recommend!

Popped in for lunch and had a fish finger sandwich, best fish finger sandwich I've ever had. Large portion and the homemade tartare sauce was incredible! Fantastic chef. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Despite it being very busy, I was served quickly and the atmosphere in the cafe is happy and upbeat.

A lovely little find along the Looe quay. I visited with family and it was a very pleasant experience - the lady serving us was so welcoming and friendly and deserves to be recognised for her kind manner. Appreciated the decor and the amusing quotes/signs dotted around.

This cafe is absolutely gorgeous! What a gem nestled next to the harbour! The bacon roll was a decent size and was very tasty , as was the cheese scone served with cheese and chutney. I had a cream tea with a fruit scone cream and jam and it was delicious!! The latte was good and they serve my favourite tea, Cornish!! Will definitely visit again 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We came to the lookout for a traditional Cornish cream tea whilst on holiday. I ordered a cream tea with a pot of tea and my Husband asked if he could have Nutella instead of butter with a hot chocolate. The lady behind the counter said she had never been asked that before but was happy to accommodate my awkward husband. He said the hot chocolate was one of the best he had had. Thank you.

Very disappointed, we attempted to visit twice but was closed on both occasions despite visiting during the advertised opening hours. On our third attempt it was open so went inside and stood at the counter only to be completely ignored by the two members of staff, after standing there for a few minutes we presumed it was table service so took a seat . Again we were just ignored so eventually got up and left. It’s a common courtesy to greet customers on arrival and advise if it’s table service etc. we stumbled on another cafe down the road where we were greeted on arrival with a friendly hello and told to take a seat and we’d be served as soon as possible. Much nicer experience!

While on holiday we visited The Lookout three times (couldn’t stay away)! We had tasty breakfasts, coffees and cakes, and in such a lovely, laidback setting. Had a nice long chat with the owner and all of the staff are so friendly and welcoming, and clearly make themselves a part of the local community! We have three dogs and we were welcome to sit inside or outside :) what a jolly welcome, we’ll be back next year!! Thanks so much

Lovely café with an amazing view of the area… the kid serving us was extremely polite; I think it is a family run café…. Lovely service, happy people, nice vibe, lovely views and the scone was delicious! Freshly baked…. We heartedly recommend and we will be back for more! ;-)

Quaint little tea room with both indoor and outdoor seating. The 2 x staff were very friendly but evidently rushed off their feet. Our coffee's and main food orders were delicious but in the hustle and bustle our side order of chips were forgotten. The staff member at the till was extremely apologetic at the end but we assured him that it was fine. The place was spotless and the cakes on display looked amazing. We will definitely return if ever in this town again. Covid-19 measures were definitely adhered to which was reassuring.

We stayed at this wonderful place Mark and his wife are such lovely sincere accommodating couple,on arrival to book into our private room we were offered a drink and a slice of cake, the accommodation was clean spacious and comfortable.the breakfast was superb and we had chance to eat on the outside patio furniture provided. Would definitely stay again

Should you wish to experience the perfect Cornish cream tea, look no further than the Primrose Cottage Café. The scones were fantastic! The menu is very comprehensive with all meals and snacks served with a smile and a chat. We shall return.

We visited yesterday with our dogs, we had one of the best cream tea’s we’ve ever had. Primrose cottage is a little gem away from the commercial type coffee shops, lovely friendly owners/staff who welcomed us and the dogs, great service and the cake selection was amazing! Definitely be back when we’re in the area again.

Wonderful self contained property with lots of home comforts. The couple letting it out were so helpful and catered for my partner being Gluten intolerant. Wonderful home cooked breakfast included. Highly recommend :-)

mediocre at best. a bit of trash under the tables, used cups and plates on other tables. dirty fork and knives on the counter. the cappuccino comes in a giant cup out of the all-in-one machine. tons of cocoa powder. not great, not even good, just regular and mediocre at best.

Went here for lunch today with all the fanily..... 8 of us...... Amazing food delicious! Really big portions and beautifully presented. The service was 5 star.. Very friendly and welcoming staff which made the experience even better. Would highly recommend a visit if you are in Falmouth!!!

Food took forever to come and although they were somewhat busy we could have been told at the time of ordering that the wait would be 30 mins. Then the food came with no cutlery or napkins and one of the toasted panini’s came out not toasted so had to wait longer for it to be toasted. Some tables had staff waiting on them some not…? Very strange - we spent over £20 per person and felt the food and service wasn’t great.

Visited today for lunch and a drink, very tasty and excellent value. Great young team, a real credit to the business one and all, cheerful bunch who couldn't do enough for you. Give it a try if you haven't already, you won't be disappointed 😊

The food is fantastic and well presented. The service and atmosphere was amazing, I was very impressed. I had the tuna sandwich and Cornish latte coffee. I felt so relaxed and not rushed, so I could also enjoy the view of the harbour.

Truly exceptional customer service I had a great experience at Koffiji, a charming Cafe Bar by events square near the Falmouth Docks in which I stayed for a few hours in the morning to do my admin and prepare for the day ahead. Chris’s customer service was truly spectacular and made me feel very welcome to the area. The coffee and breakfast that was served were outstanding, especially when coupled with the warming environment provided by the team. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting or living in the area.

Staff are lovely so kills me to write this but what is up with the portions? 😭 How is this taster size portion of carrot cake 4 quid? I could've sworn this is half their normal portion?
