Been there with my girlfriend for her birthday. The place is really nice, the witresses are very helpful and friendly and the food is amazing. The best sushi I tried so far in Aarhus. It is worth the money 👍

The sushi was really good, fresh fish and vegetables in creative combinations. Excellent sauces. Unfortunately, only white wine served by the glass and no large water bottles to share.

We had the Ai Tempura Ebi menu for two people and it was really great! I especially appreciated the avocado on the sushi since many places use them before they are perfectly ripe but honestly even just the rice in them was amazing. We also got some free cooked and salted Edamame beans as a snack while waiting for the sushi! Bonus pic of lemonade with ginger and fresh mint!

What a great surprise. Better than any sushi I've had in NYC and on par with Japan. Presentation was great and corresponding sauces were great. We did a nigri menu, a roll and then a starter and were full.

Sota’s sushi tastes fantastic and you can really tell that the ingredients used are the best. The atmosphere was great, but pretty dark aside from the display light on the sushi.

The food was very tasty and the staff friendly. The location was nice, clean and very cosy. The prices are decent, a bit pricey but overall it worth it. There is a place where I definitely wanna come back. :)

This was the worst experience ever. I was monitored in an inappropriate way while eating, and after I left, the bathroom was searched, as well as under the tables and behind the chairs—the entire place was inspected! Even worse, they justified these actions by saying that this is the way people should be treated. It didn’t stop there; some of the staff—who are also refugees like me—bullied me simply because I am not Danish. This behavior was shocking and humiliating, and it bears no relation to respect or hospitality. An extremely disappointing experience, and I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this place 2 It is unfortunate to read your reply full of accusations instead of acknowledging the negative experience. Most of the negative reviews on your page come from foreign guests, and that is the clearest proof of a real issue in the way your customers are treated – not just a “misunderstanding” as you try to present it. The fact that you went as far as checking the bathroom and found nothing, yet still continue to accuse us, only proves that the problem lies not with the guests but with your management and unprofessional attitude. Guests’ experiences are not “exaggerations”; they are a direct reflection of how your staff actually treat people. Defensive replies full of blame and excuses only make your establishment lose even more credibility. If you truly want to show that “everyone is welcome,” then start by changing the way you treat your guests instead of hiding behind empty justifications.

Terrible experience I had. We were ordering to share and had a big group split into two tables to order, 4 and 5 people respectively. My table of four decided to get some sticks to try and share and we decided to have 1 of each flavour as they had 5 flavours and they mentioned maximum of 5 per person, so in total 20 sticks. We were told it would get cold and they would serve ten, but to our surprise what came was 10 sticks of each flavour so 50 in total!!! We were told that we ordered that which did not really make sense as you could only order 5 per person. They told us to share it and we tried our best but it’s huge and dry chicken and we left 5 sticks. Our friends beside us ordered starters and was misheard and got 16 pieces of sushi and they also had to try and finish. We couldn’t do it and they ended up charging us for leftover food waste. We mentioned this at the counter and the cashier just said he didn’t serve us and he couldn’t confirm what we said was true. Ridiculous. Terrible service, mediocre food. TLDR; Got a massive wrong order, didn’t try much sushi only sticks, didn’t get offered to return items to the kitchen or anything else, cashier didn’t give a shit about this and didn’t bother to confirm it and charged leftovers.

Have been here from time ti time for the last few years. Good price good taste, good service. very recommend. I especially like they don’t use any digital menu or tablet to order because it is just so much easier to look at the entire menu at once and write down what you want.

Went to this place expecting a lot, but I was quite disappointed. The sushi just felt rushed and of bad quality. The rice was bland and too sticky and the sushi was falling apart when I tired to take it with chopsticks. I know it’s ad libitum, but when I ordered kimchi, they literally served 3 pieces. They could have served more. The way you order is through a waiter and when it’s busy, it can be hard to get their attention. At least, the Nutella tiramisu was really good.

Popular but food is so-so. The sushi rice in our salmon and tuna rolls were drowned in vinegar and made the rolls too sour and mushy. The fried gyoza was average. Good service, quick seating but long wait for the food to arrive. Expensive and food did not live up to an A-plus status.

Absolutely favorite sushi place! The ad libitum sushi option is the best and defnitely worth it's price. Every single thing tastes amazing. There's a lot of options with starters, sushi's and there's also desserts included in the menu. Our favorites are the salmon sticks and the fried sushi's. The house lemonade is also amazing. The service is good and food gets quickly served. Beware that you do have to book in advance since this place is often fully booked. Overall defnitely reccomend!

Staff was nice and helpful, and the sushi did come in many variations. But over all the flavors simply weren’t there the rice was bland and they price themselves on a lot of rewards of being the best, I personally have tried other places in Aarhus, but compared to other places I have eaten, the flavors just simply weren’t there

The fare here is unlimited Sushi of almost every conceivable combination - all of it from high quality raw materials and beautifully presented. The restaurant also understands that quality rice is essential part of the sushi experience - so you get the full 360 treatment. I had a really nice experience with friends of mine. The waitresses were actually really kind and food was really good. It did not take long to be prepared so we didn’t have to wait for a long time between each order. I really recommend this place.

Good selection of dishes, everyone should be able to find something they like or something new. The staff was also very pleasant and polite. Lollipops when you pay.

Ordered food for New Year. It was prepared hours in advanced. All the starters were wet/soaked and cold on pickup (picked up 5 min before agreed time, everything was prepacked for all customers). The sushi was - to put it mildly - a huge disappointment. The avocado was all brown because it was prepared hours prior. 2 pieces with salmon had bones in it. Overall a huge disappointment and a waste of almost 1.500 DKK.

Saichi Sushi was our favourite sushi restaurant up until our last visit. The food is always good and we had no problem with that, but the service dragged down the experience of the whole evening. First of all we needed to wait 15 minutes after we have taken our table for someone to show up so we could asked them to finally take our drink order. After this we needed to wait ca. 20 mins for our food to arrive. (We have arrived at 18.00, and the time was at 18.40 when we got our first order) We have ordered one more time which took even longer, and then around 19.20 right after getting our second order, we have decided that due to the long waiting time we can not order more sushi and just should order the dessert right away. So at 19:20 we have ordered our desserts. At 20.00 the waitress told us that our 2 hours are over, and it is time to leave even though we could only order sushi 2 times and we also did not get our desserts yet. After complaining a bit we could get our dessert at least, and in a speed eating method we were allowed to eat it and then leave.... We knew about the leftover sushi rule, that you have to pay if you leave leftovers, however we thought they have removed it since our last visit, as the couple sitting next to us left ca. 20 pieces and left without any extra payment. Also the same happened with the couple on the other side of us, left a full roll and then payed normal price and left. So it was super surprising that they have demanded that we pay for our leftovers. Extremely unfair, and when we told them the issue, the cashier just said: Sorry but it was not me who took that payment, the other cashier forgot to add those costs in the end... It is unaccaptable to treat the guests with such a difference!

Great tasting and looking sushi. Friendly service and large portions. What’s not to like?

The restaurant is very cold, we had to keep our jackets on. The sushi rolls are way way to big and consists mainly of rise and very little fish. On top of that the rise has no taste at all. The picture is some of the left over rice from 8 pcs of urmaki

The sushi was pretty good but the service was a bit too slow, I think their focus is mostly on takeaway. The place is small, therefore the background noise was a bit loud. Overall, it was a pretty good evening.

By far the best veggie sushi one can get in Aarhus :) Nice variation and some original ideas, not only avocado maki :D All Letz sushi restaurants in Aarhus are very cozy and we always had a nice waiter/waitress, so can only recommend:) We are coming back regurarly for Long time no sea and will keep doing that for sure! 10% student discount, 15% sign in app discount, 25% takeaway discount on Mondays and 20% takeaway discount on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I think one can't ask for more really :)

Very good sushi but not the cheapest in Aarhus. But price/quality fit together. Disadvantage is that a lot customers step in to grab pre ordered sushi. So not so comfortable and cozy. I can recommend this restaurant due to its good food.

We order from this Letz Sushi continuously. Higher end sushi restaurant. Great price and quality. They’ve messed up a few of our orders recently, therefore 4 stars.

Hands down, the best Sushis I ever had in the last 30 years! And I am not kidding!! In 30 YEARS!! That’s gotta count something! The portions are 25% bigger than what I have gotten in other Restaurants, including Copenhagen and Helsingør, Malmø, Dubai, Manila, Cebu and Iloilo. Today’s Chef’s menu! I ordered the Fish Miso Soup - 5 stars! Followed by Japanese Dumplings, paired with small springrolls as Starters - again 5 stars. Very savory! Followed by the mains from the Today’s Chef’s Menu including my special order of 10 Nigiris. Thank you Great Sushi Chef, for the added items! My visit at Springtime in Aarhus (27/08/25) I won’t ever forget! This is the place where you can enjoy fresh and very soft rice and uhhh… that fish just melts in my mouth! It’s like an explosion of party inside! I’m definitely coming back soon. This place is marvelous! Highly recommended for you to visit!

We were a group of 6 ( 4 adults and 2 toddlers) and this was our first time visiting sushi SpringTime. We ordered 4 sets of chef menu and it was one of the best sushi meals we have ever had. Why? It’s very close to authentic Japanese food, the menu was well-balance and well-prepared. The fish was so fresh and the sushi rice was so good. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SUSHI PLACE IN AARHUS!

This place is run by a very dedicated man and usually only one member of staff. We usually get takeaway and the sushi he makes is way more authentic and tastier than other eateries in Aarhus.

Sushi is really really good. Karaage was also good but it could've been crispier (personal choice). The chef personally came to ask how it was, so cute. Also gave us extra sushi that we took home because we were too full. Super tasty, 100% recommended.

My absolute favourite sushi place! I can't praise them enough. The sushi is always fresh and delicious, the fish just melts in your mouth. The rice is soft, not dry and there's not too much of it. So even after enjoying quite a big portion of this scrumptious sushi you won't feel like a pufferfish. My newest obsession is their matcha ice cream, super creamy and has that little tang of matcha. I'd love to recommend this place to everyone.

I visited this place for the first time and ordered the yakitori and chicken garage and sushi. Overall it was nice food and yummy! After finishing meal the staff said that the chicken garage is on them as it was salty. I enjoyed with beer so didn’t notice so much but that was a surprise for me that none of restaurant does offer that unless you complain. Thank you for the caring and your service!

Ordered Takeaway in March 2025. Probably the best Nigiri I’ve had! Very fresh! Very good presentation even in a plastic box! Everything kept together without falling apart when using chopsticks. Should have asked for more soya sauce and I was missing the sea grass. Possibly a culture thing (?) because sea grass is not always included when ordering sushi in many places. Price (for a Swede 😊) is a bit high (30 EUR for 12 pieces) , but all in all, highly recommended if you want something really tasty! 👍

There’s good selection of makisushi, some warm food too and something sweet. It’s really nice sushi restaurant, you probably won’t regret coming, but I feel like there could be more food running than makisushi. Staff is quite nice. I don’t much like sitting next to strangers, which happened here. Plus you must use hand sanitizer when entering (I get the point but…). Overall experience was good but not for five stars.

Our family of 5 had a great dinner and experience here. The sushi on the conveyer belt had variety and were tasty. Anything fried was crispy and anything raw tasted fresh. When it was close to closing time , we were asked if we wanted anything that the chef could make to order which was not on the conveyor belt. Our 6 year old was really happy to get salmon maki that he didn’t managed to get from the belt. We couldn’t really understand why we could not eat from the belt and order from the menu at the same time. The waitress patiently and kindly explained it to us. Overall really good sushi and value for money.

We came on a Monday night at about 19:00 with friends. To our surprised, the Restaurant almost full. Fishs are very fresh with many choices. There are also many cooked dishes available.

The staff is very nice so I don't like giving a negative review. However I can't understand how this place is so highly rated. -Not authentic in the slightest, why does every single sushi have Mayonnaise on it? Why are there fries, chocolate cake, orange slices etc in a Sushi place !?? And just why are there almost no Sushi on the belt in a Sushi restaurant? There was probably under 20% Sushi for 80% of fried food and the other random stuff I listed above. -We arrived at 19:30 on a Saturday, they are supposed to close in 2 and a half hours. And there was basically 0 refill on the belt from the moment we arrived until we left. Just the same sad dishes nobody wanted, nobody was replacing them, nothing new came in. 250 kr. per person, 30 kr. Tap Water etc for this? Not again.

It's a nice place with something for everyone, and is definitely kid friendly. The sushi isn't as impressive as the good sushi places. However the quality is fine and it still tastes great. I would love to come by again and try their BBQ. You order by the table, and can do all the BBQ'ing at the table. The only reason for not giving it 5/5 is that the sushi could have had a bit more variation in it.

Not the best sushi we have had in Aarhus. Very little variety on the train. Fish has been frozen and fast defrosted. At least you can have the option of all can you eat or Alla cart.

I ordered several times from Too Good to Go and I was very satisfied. For a price of 40 dkk you receive about 17-20 pieces of different sushi which is very fair in my opinion. The taste of this sushi is not outstanding, but it's totally fine for that price.

We went to a sushi course via TrueStory. The man was very nice and you could see he really knew a lot about sushi but we did not get any recipes for example how to make the sushi rice, tofu or tempura coating. We had drinks included but had to pay 96 krones!!!! For two cups of tea. They did inform us in advance we would have to pay extra but the amount is absurd.

Cheap version of sushi and very little variety in the all you can eat running sushi. I was here a year ago and it was better, but the quality has obviously declined. I was expecting some cheap sushi and some better quality sushi, but although we kept waiting, the "sushi" with canned tuna and bell pepper kept coming by... This is not sushi!!! We had lots of plates accumulating at our table although we were pretty much the only ones at the restaurant and the waitress had nothing else to do. We won't be coming back.

Food seems ok, for being a running sushi place I have had one too many times when I have visited it and there was no running sushi, the seating arrangement is awful, people are sitting way to close and the way the tables are build, you have no room for legs. For being a restaurant in a highly international city, only one person from their staff could speak English. Hope you have a better experience than me. 2/5 would not recommend visiting.

What an experience! I wasn't aware there was an all you can eat Japanese restaurant in Aarhus. There is a tablet on your table where you see the photos of all items. You have 2 hours to order everything on the menu, it's prepared fresh and delivered to your table. It's NOT made in advance (apart from the dessert). You can taste the freshness of the food. I really liked the fried crispy salmon stick and the fried sushi rolls. I would prefer to have less salt on the food and I wasn't too keen on the desserts, apart from the creme brulé. The waitresses are really friendly and helpful (2 of them speak Spanish also). Drinks are reasonably priced. The place is not very big and not too cosy, but you won't leave hungry. One more thing, you can only leave 3 pieces at the end, otherwise they will charge you 10 DKK per piece left. I will definitely return soon! Update May 2024: the place has been refurbished and extended, it's much better and more spacious. See photos

Very tasty sushi and a nice little cozy restaurant hidden in one of the old streets of Aarhus city centre. We suffered a malfunction on the tablet, which had to be used for ordering. I recommend the staff to quality check this prior handing it over. We were lucky the restaurant was not fully-booked as then it would have impacted our seating time as well as the service to our table.

Recommended by 2 compatriots living in Aarhus met by coincidence just before choosing which sushi restaurant to go to. Interesting formula all you can eat but limited for two hours. Food was very good, Carlos our host fro the evening was very sympathetic.

I can recommend the place! Very good sushi for the reasonable price. They have all-you-can-eat concept which has a great value especially during lunch on weekdays and Sunday. Atmosphere is cozy and staff is welcoming - what else do you need?:)

Great little all you can eat sushi restaurant. reasonable lunch prices. nigiri was good, salmon excellent, unagi perfect, tuna nigiri a bit thin but good. the crispy duck and meat skewers were yummy too. i liked their rolls, well made and round, not falling apart. good flavours but prices can add up.

Quirky - but stylish - interior ! Had the « menu » offering; quite a few appetizers (all good) and a main: we choose the tofu cari ( a curry) and the Vietnamese pancake w salmon/shrimp. All tasted very good - the portions (main) modest. Service a bit slow - but professional. A (small) scoop of black sesame ice-cream for dessert. Excellent value for money.

Good food, but travelers be aware that they don't take credit cards

I was there with a party of 5. We had reserved seats, and pre-ordered our menus 1.5 hours prior to arriving. Despite of that, it took 45 minutes to receive our starters. Then another 30+ minutes for the remaining food. Frankly the waiting time was absurd. I left more hungry than I came. The presentation of the food was great, but I think most of the food was bland and not particularly exciting, especially considering the price. The only redeeming factor, and the reason for my two starts, is the Norway lobster roll I had as part of my starter: That was really something. In general, I would not recommend: Go for another sushi place.

Likely the best sushi restaurant in Aarhus -- elegant presentation, "proper" rice to fish ratio, fresh fish, unique sauces and combo of flavors (nigiri and maki) that enhance the taste, and good service. The sauce for nigiri was exquisite, making the traditional soy-wasabi sauce almost unnecessary. The special sauce for the maki was also good. A bit pricy for the amount of food but was a good experience

I haven't had the best experience here. Went there with some friends after booking a table and also ordering our menus 1.5 hours before arrival. Yet we still had to wait 40 minutes to get our starters, followed by 30 minutes for the sushi rolls. We started to wonder if our order was taken at all... The food was alright, but nothing that would explain such waiting time or prices for that matter. To be fair, the staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful. We did get some free drinks as compensation, but that didn't help much with our frustration. There are other sushi places in town with better service and very good food. Try some of those. However, if you do end up coming here, try the Nigori sake. It's very good.

One of the best sushi places in Aarhus. The food there tastes and looks very good. The interior design is simple, yet stylish and accommodating. Combined with their friendly service, all this makes up for a great experience. I'm giving only 4 stars because the wait time is generally super long. Moreover, on our last visit, on the Valentine's Day, the sushi wasn't as good as our previous two times there and we had to wait for it for almost 2 hours! That certainly marred our evening and---cheery on top---at the end, after jerking us around for some 15 minutes, they, a Japanese restaurant (!), confessed they were out of tea :-)

I highly recomamnd this, buttom line, most tastful sushi i ate in really long time. We had a take away, so the person on the other side of the phone was a real help. That day was a holiday, so was no delivery, yrt I got the chance to go and check the resturant by myself, it have a nice ambience. P.s even the packing was unique!

As we are on a family trip together with our 2 quiet dogs, it is sometimes difficult to find an establishment where they are also allowed inside. Here, however, we were given a very hospitable welcome and were given a table at the back of the room so that the dogs were not disturbed by visitors and, of course, vice versa. We ordered through the 'all you can eat' formula at a very reasonable price (compared to our home country of Belgium). Using a tablet, you make your choice and have a few dishes each time served to your table. The wide variety of cold and hot dishes were freshly made, served quickly and tasted delicious. Also, a Shout Out to the service who switched smoothly into English as our Danish is sadly inadequate. But despite being one-day visitors, we were still served as if we were regular customers. Super!!! To sum up: Despite not returning here due to the travel distance, we are happy to recommend this establishment which, by the way, is modernly decorated.

This place used to be quite good, and perhaps still is—but they seem to be randomly closed without bothering to post updates on Google or on Facebook! Visited about a year ago and it was closed then, too.

There is no gluten in their rice unlike most other sushi places in Aarhus. When I arrived they gave me their allergens card and a glutenfree soy sauce. We ordered from tablet where I could comment "glutenfree" on everything I ordered (my partner ordered things with gluten from same tablet). The allergens card was not up to date, but when I ordered something that could not be made gluten free anyway, they just didn't make it and the server told me. The cook was super nice and seperated the sushi on different serving boards (glutenfree and with gluten) and even adjusted sushis on the menu to be without gluten-ingredients so I could try more things. I would recommend not coming in rush-hour as I assume it will be harder for them to take such good care as they did for me. I ate there around evening on a weekday. There is a discount if you eat early eventhough the price is already fair for all-you-can-eat.

Great all you can eat lunch deal! The food is delicious and has decent quality. The staff is fast but a bit stressed when it’s busy. You could feel that there was one waiter/waitress missing. The music and atmosphere was not the best. Overall still a nice restaurant and I would definitely come again!

Matha is a very friendly staff. She gave us the information about the service clearly. The food is tasty. I recommend all you can eat. The ordering system is via tablet.

Went for Too Good To Go, great, sadly there were people that straight up took all of the meat and most of the noodles. I wish there was a proper line or a thingy where you can pull a number. Otherwise great food, very yummy, nice restaurant.

Good food, there is buffet, sushi, grill, but my favourite type is Mongolian barbecue where you can mix your ingredients to your satisfaction. Toilets available. Free parking. And a play area for children. Cheap. Nice staff.

If you want a good Chinese dinner, this is a good place to eat! We only had the buffet, but it had a great variety and good tasting meals. You could also select different ingredients, raw meat and bring it all together to a waiting chef to cook it up for you. They also had their own section of sushi. If you buy the buffet, you also have coffee and ice cream for dessert. Notice that they don't accept foreign credit cards, but an ATM is right outside. *Update. They now accept foreign debit cards! We have been coming back here 5 years in a row on our vacation! Absolutely recommended!

Absolutely the very last time I'll visit this place. Been going there for a few years but it has steadily declined in quality. I visited with my family on the 24th of July, we found the bathroom vial and disgustingly unclean, which in a restaurant shouldn't ever be. We had Sushi, I had mostly sushi, because the rest of the dishes offered were not very tasty at all. Turns out that Thursday night both me, my dad and my cousin fell violently ill because of food poisoning. Ambulance had to be called as it got so extremely bad, I'll spare you from the details of the night, but long story short, this was unlike anything I've experienced and the doctor visiting at night was shocked at how bad it was for all of us. I felt the salmon wasn't as tasty as they used to be, but I'm no expert in knowing what that means entirely. I read from one reviewer who on the same day as I was there posted that he thought the Salmon was rotten. If that's the case, this is serious as many visited that day. I am sad to say this but after the pain and suffering from this experience, and the grotesqueness of state of their bathrooms, I will never set foot in this place ever again. Things like this can happen to anyone, but the decline has been steadily happening... so this place is no longer one I recommend sadly.

After eating in this place I've canceled my trip to China. Food tasted like yesterday's. Also not warm or hot food from the buffet, everything was cold and. To be honest the o ly thing tasted decent was the coca cola I ordered. Avoid this place.

We had the sushi buffet option, and the sushi was quite good—in particular, the firework roll was fantastic. The seared salmon nigiri was also quite good. Service was pretty quick—but there were only two other tables, so perhaps not the best indicator of how quick it normally is. The crème brûlée was good, though they put a rubarb thing on it that might not be for everyone. The main reason I gave it four stars is because most of the sushi rolls had tempura shrimp in them. Delicious, but lacking in variety. Overall, defo recommend and will repeat.

Wow, the sushi was amazing. The servers were incredibly nice and the overall impression was really good. I really liked their design of the restaurant as well. The only reason I give them 4 instead of 5 stars, is because of the waiting time. Especially the first serving took quite a while, and after an hour we had only gotten two servings - where one of them was with (presumably already-made) starters. There was a bit of waiting time for the rest of the servings as well, but that was a lot less. Luckily, the taste was amazing, but especially in the beginning that was also a bit frustrating as we were really hungry. But overall, we will definitely be coming back. They had some pieces with duck that made all the wait worth it and their cooks seem to really understand flavours and quality. Further, the price for everything (drinks included!) was very good!

It is a kind of Japanese sushi buffet restaurant. Using an application to order food. Easily to understand. Average of service. Good environment. Nice taste and reasonable price. Located in the center of Aarhus. Many kinds of Sushi and snack. There are also a vegan-served. The proportion was accepted for food.👏🏻 I like the chili-miso soup and the tea was specially material in there, but a little bit small per person.🫖

What an amazing experience!!! The food was way above expectations I was so surprised. Even the side orders were very good quality, the chicken “kaarage” were so damn good and their salmon stick, and I usually don’t like salmon! Even the calamari were way above expectations, usually it’s not that soft and good, it wasn’t chewy at all, I was shook about how high quality their food is!! New place in town. A real contender. Very good sushi. Good looking and presented clean and with extra small things as caviars and horseraddish. We had alcoholfree gin/tonics and it suited the meal. It was recommended by the very sweet and friendly waitress.

Odense Bluefin Restaurant was my favorite Sushi Restaurant, until now! Now I know Aarus Bluefin Sushi & Gin, this is my new favourite Sushi Place. Good Overall Food Quality. Not the best sushi on the world, but definitely good enough for AYCE standard. We enjoyed it very much. You can even have Sashimi with no additional cost. Easy to order both food and Drinks with tablet. We accidentally ordered too much food, but we could just pay a little extra, and took it away. My sons loved Lemonade and Orange Juice Here. I will definitely order some beer or Gin next time!!! Staff could not be more Helpful and “Hygge”. Today’s waitress even spoke perfect Spanish (sounded like Argentina accent or somewhere similar). We will be very happy to come back again every time we are in Denmark or just passing by with our Camper Van.

I’m not sure if there is a place in Aarhus that has a better ramen than the one at Takumi. Will definitely come back to try a different one!

We decided to try this place after reading a lot of positive reviews, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. The moment we walked in, the restaurant was filled with heavy smoke and the smell of oil, which wasn’t the most pleasant start. The staff member taking our order seemed irritated, which made the experience feel a bit rushed and uncomfortable. I ordered the spicy chicken ramen, but it was disappointing. The broth tasted overly oily from the minced chicken, and the overall flavor felt off. It lacked depth and had very few ingredients. I couldn’t even finish it. Although the interior in the restaurant looks nice. Sadly, it wasn’t worth the visit—there are definitely better ramen spots in town

This ramen is the most divine I've ever tried. I recommend the black garlic oil one - the broth is so rich and flavorful, the best comfort food 🩷

Best authentic ramen I've ever had outside of Japan. The ramen is comparable to some of the best ramen from ramen street i Tokyo station, which is no small feat.

First of all the restaurant was cold and we had to sit with our jackets on due to the low temperature in side. The sushi were not living up to the pictures on the menu and there were only a very limited number of sushi choices. The only “fun” thing was that the sushi were delivered by a robot, which was a nice gadget.

Excellent buffet, running sushi is only after 17 but it's all you can eat either way. There are especially many salmon, shrimp and tuna options The desert is also all you can eat but is not the most amazing choice or flavor

You order through a tablet, and the food is delivered to your table as you order. Food is freshly made, and taste wonderfully. Not the biggest selection in their Ad libitum compared to their running Sushi, but as it is a new concept, I guess that is expected. Note: Pieces are bigger than expected, with more rice than anticipated.

Easily one of the tastiest places I've ever eaten. Japanese Nordic fusion cuisine. Tuna cevice taco, ebi roll, carpacio and squid salad to name a few were to die for. Truly exquisite. There are lux set menus that include all of it from the photos and more. I can't recommend it more. Waiter super knowledgeable, truly enjoys the Japanese cuisine and is great to recommend a perfect same and cocktail pairing for the dishes. When I took a bite of the desert I almost started crying. The pairing of umami taste from Miso cracker/crumble? with havthorn ice cream blew my tastes buds off, in a good way.

Best Izakaya I visited outside Japan, 100%!!! Now, I haven’t been to tons in Europe but this is so far and by far the best. The Tun tataki and the Wagyu nigiri was mindblowing, all the other dishes pretty much up there. All together an amazing experience and I’m glad I didn’t give up coming back for two days until I got a table. Even better, the super nice guy behind the bar recognized me from the day before and squeezed us in, loved it! Still - be not me, make your reservation in time if you want a table. Oh, the umeshu tonic was great! Def worth a detour in my world, will def return! Btw, when in the neighborhood, why not a beer or a cocktail at the beautiful and cosy Mikkeller bar across the street?

If you’re looking for a Japanese food experience, this is not the place. While the food was good, there is nothing in this place that makes you feel like in an Izakaya: not the ambience, the food, the interior design, music, nothing. It was very disappointing. We got the 10 servings menu and were served more potatoes than fish dishes. I wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t go back, unless for the amazing cocktails: those really hit the mark! Ps: if what you’re after is Japanese food try Tokyo Kitchen or Ramen Takumi.

Very delicious Japanese food! Go for the 13 serving menu, have some nice drinks. Enjoyed sitting at the windows in high chairs, it gives a nice intimate experience if only two guests. Planning a trip to Japan now😋🙏

We had a great time at this japanese fusion restaurant. The small dishes were very well thought and each gave an unique experience. The drinks had an unusual twist which we enjoyed a lot. Definitely recommended, you get something unique and well worth the price.

We had some of the sharing dishes and a bento and found everything delicious. Food looked and tasted fantastic. Service was also better than we normally experience in Aarhus. Will definitely be coming back.

Nice ambience with delicious Japanese fusion food. I had the salmon and avocado bowl. The mix of avocado, salmon and sauce was terrific. But what I liked most was their sushi rice: unbroken grains, firm yet not hard and sticky enough. The price won’t break the bank as well. The portion however, is not huge. I left the restaurant with enough room for a small sandwich or two. Nonetheless, this place is great for casual dining.

The best sushi we have had in Aarhus to date. Clearly freshly made and with quality ingredients. Also very nice people :) Generous opening hours also a great place for lunch.

If you are looking for great sushi in Aarhus this is the place! Not only is the sushi extremely fresh and flavorful, the meats are tender as can be! We loved the Duck Bao, it was probably the best we ever had. Also the sushi was top tier quality and quantity. The price is really low for what you get. The staff is super nice and helpful even if you don't speak Danish. They offer a English menu online and will help you if you have questions anyway. Will recommend any day of the week!

I had the spiced tuna roll and it was fantastic and the spring rolls which I have to say were extra crunchy and hot the way through. Thanks so much to the friendly wait staff and the charming chef who brought us out some special treats at the start!! It is clear this is the real deal and I will be taking my friends here!

The all you can eat is a very good option, I recommend trying this place, tasty but not the best so far.

The food is good but overall a little pricey. This would only make sense if you are really hungry, since the system is one size fits all: You pay an expensive fee and then can choose as much as you want from a selection of dishes. The service is okay but waiters look a little stressed. The room is small, so when the place is full, it feels a little cramped.

Amazing Sushi and very friendly service in a stylish place. First of all, I do love Sushi. Tried it in various places, various nations, various styles. Miyagi was, quite honestly, one of the very best I ever had. Great variety, everything was very carefully done and presented, with a lot of attention to detail. The rolls were very tasty, great combination of fresh ingredients, well rounded, not just concerning the taste, but also the mix of textures and the presentation. Put that together with a very attentive and friendly service and a stylish yet still cozy auch athmosphere and you got yourself a first class dining experience. Highly recommended.

Service was okay It took forever to get our sushi (40-50 min.) And the taste was kinda boring. Different pieces tasted kinda the same. Would not go again.

The food is ok, nothing too special. Had fried noodles which were a bit oily but otherwise tasty. Also had the sweet and sour chicken which was horribly sweet and the chicken was terrible and the overall taste was quite unpleasant.

The food was... bad. Like real bad. I usually never write reviews, but this was bland and unappealing. I ordered the udon noodles with chicken, and the teriyaki prawns. The chicken was dry, overcooked and rid of all taste. Same with the prawns: Dry, and for some reason still in their shell, which meant that the dressing got peeled off, as I tried to get to the actual prawn. So I kinda had to scrape the dressing of the shell, to get at least some taste out of what tasted like a piece of rubber. The Udon noodles had a nice texture but the dish had no dressing (which might be the way the dish is meant to be prepared, but why prepare it like that if it results in something worse than the frozen pre-made thai-packages i can buy in the supermarket 50m up the road?). Overall just a boring experience But what puzzled me most was the sauce I could get on the side. A small plastic box with an even smaller amount of sauce; 1-2 Cl. Why? Why not fill it up, you got room enough for 10 times what's actually in there, and I'm gonna use it all anyway since this doesn't taste like anything. It was enough for three or four mouth-fulls, resulting in me finishing dinner with a "well I paid for it and I'm starving"-expression. A shame really! Nice staff, open, clean kitchen and overall a nice atmosphere. Too bad the most important aspect of the restaurant is neglected, and the customer is left dissatisfied, and in my case: still hungry. Perhaps I was unlucky with my choice, who knows.

Every time im order from them it takes more than an hour. One time after waiting over one hour, the driver knocked my door to tell me that my food is damaged and he cannot deliver it. As I'm writing my food is late!!

A bit mediocre. Most of their non-sushi dishes were actually better than their sushi. Their meat and fried items were quite good. The rice in the sushi was mushy and the grains did not have any bite and the grains were almost melting together. Fish quality was also a bit meh, but I guess it's pretty standard for a sushi restaurant like this in Denmark. The kitchen was kinda slow and the restaurant was not even half filled on a Friday evening, I wonder what they would do if they actually had customers. They had apparently raised their prices but did not have any physical menu with updated prices. They had an all you can eat option but they had to point to a lot of items in their menu which was not included, instead of just having it marked in their menu. It generally seems like a poorly managed restaurant full of young people who lack experience. The restaurant looks very nice so there has clearly been invested some money, but that's unfortunately not enough.

I was a loyal client for the past 4 years, very happy with the food quality. But I am extremely disappointed since they closed their central location. The new location at Søren Frichs Vej is horrible, every time I get worse and worse food quality the pieces are smaller, uneven and with shrimp peel… They have lost me as their client.

Likely one of the best all-you-can-eat places in Aarhus. Great presentation of foods, great variety and amazing starters. Definitely try Gyoza 🥟 and the Bao breads 🥯

Tried the “popular option no. 1”, became very surprised by the quality of it, and now just want to try the other dishes as well. The place is small and cozy (as most people use it for take-away probably), and the staff was super friendly with us. It went directly to “places to return” part of my restaurant list.

Tokyo Kitchen absolutely impressed me! The place is small and authentic, creating a cozy atmosphere. I tried the No. 1 Chicken, and the food was exquisite – a real taste sensation! The staff was incredibly friendly, making me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. Their attentiveness and warmth added greatly to the overall dining experience. This was the most wonderful food experience i have ever had. I will have a hard time processing any other food from now on. This set a standard i can only describe as authentic, amazing, and full of flavor. I found love today. (Update) 31 May 2022 It has now been 21 days since i first had my life changed, and i still haven’t managed to forget that wonderful meal. For some reason it still lingers in my mind, as the day i was changed forever. I can no longer eat any other food without feeling i eat mediocrity. But this meal i got from Tokyo Kitchen was nothing like that, it was profound and Life altering. Sometimes i wake up in the dead of night, lusting for that savory chicken over rice. It was simplistic in it’s components yet complex in it’s flavors. Those flavors still dance on my tongue Like a little tasty carnival, i don’t know why i needed to update my review. Maybe it’s because when i find something so precious like this wonderful food, i am faced with an internal dilemma. To either keep this precious perl to myself for my own self indulgence. Or i tell the world about it. So that this precious perl can be appreciated by everyone for the treasure it really is. Thank you Tokyo Kitchen, you gave a man something so holy, that i wouldn’t want to be without. ❤️

Hearty home cooked meals. Their dishes have just the right amount of sauce and well balanced. Best karagae and basically everything else are good too. Do order in advance for pick up and expect some waiting time in the weekends.

Fun , young atmosphere , great service and amazing ramen. The best I’ve tried outside of Asia. Wow 🤩 I also had the gyosas and they were short of incredible . Their open kitchen makes the experience even more memorable. they make their own spicy sauce and have 3 very tasty draft beers which is a plus. Good value for money for Denmark.

I had a really nice experience here. Had the Beef Ramen with a Beer. The food was hot spicy everything was satisfying. The quality and quantity was really good too. Seems like a popular place it was packed on a Wednesday evening. Had to sit at the bar.

A real highlight in Aarhus, if you are looking for authentic Asian food. Homemade Kimchi is to die for in the Spicy Ramen. Kirin beer from the tap👍👍👍 but especially the service is not only friendly, this crew is committed!

Cozy place in central Aarhus with nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Ramen was pretty tasty, I did not expect to see tomatoes in the soup but surprisingly it suited the dish well. Unfortunately there was no chicken option on the menu. Tasty, quite sweet, homemade lemonade.

Even though the atmosphere and the service were quite high, I do believe food is the most important when I eat out. Haven't eaten many ramens, but I have certainly ate better, hence the low rating. Noodles looked and felt almost like spaghetti.. The staff is super friendly though

Service was quick. Starters were tasty. Noodles in ramen were too wholemeal and thin which seemed misplaced in the dish. Sauce was also a bit too grainy for what I’m used to. Also, the kids didn’t like their ramen which was too sour for them (after kid-friendly recommendation from the server) which resulted in them not eating anything really. 800 kroner and hungry kids later. A mediocre experience overall.

Nice sushi, with good ingredients and not overly packed with rice- which makes it great. The place is pretty good, clean and spacious. I’ll come again, if they promise to make the robot stop playing that silly “elevator music”. The entire evening I dreamed of poring the soya bottle into the speakers of that thing. It’s truly an harassment.

We celebrated a family occasion at Yami Sushi in Aarhus and had a fantastic experience! The sushi was absolutely top-notch, and the service was just as impressive. We were a group of 12, with some last-minute additions, but the staff handled it effortlessly—rearranging seating without any trouble and making us feel truly welcome. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We've been coming to Yami sushi in Viby and it's been always great experience. We have also visited Yami sushi in the city center twice and we will come back again, as it is our favorite sushi restaurant in the city and their robot is a fun experience as well!

Nice sushi! We came for running sushi. I was afraid the selection wouldn't be good, but I was wrong! Plenty of choices for all tastes, including kids. Will be coming back for sure. The staff was kind too 🙂

First time ordering and last time...for portion with 30 sushi ,they will not give it to you Wasabi or ginger. I ordered from wolt ,with order they ask if we need some extra ginger and Wasabi, of course I don't need extra , but this means you will not have at all....owner, have you tried pouring soy from this little fish yourself? Very greedy owner...

I saw online that they serve onigiri so a friend and I went. 🍙 We each had two onigiris - one with salmon and one with spicy tuna. Both were delicious. They have vegetarian options too. 🌱 The portions were big but also so tasty. They serve sushi as well and we can’t wait to visit again to try it. 😋

The sushi was good. A lot of different options and creative ideas. However, at a restaurant with very nice dishes, plates and bowls there was a lack of proper chopsticks. When we sat at the table we didnt have our soy sauce bowls and the wooden chopsticks were of the worst kind. The sushi saved the day though. Furthermore they have nice veggie options.

Maybe I'm spoiled with California Sushi locations. The sushi here was not bad, it just was not great. Lacking some flavor, the feel of the place was mediocre and prices were very expensive. I had one glass of wine and 2 sushi rolls for 47 Euros 😵

Very good running sushi but a bit slow at getting new things on the belt so you can sit for a very long time with a half empty belt circling the same few pieces of sushi. The sushi that IS there is very good quality though. And the price is very fair.

A bit disappointed of the staff. Went in there as 2 couples but as no one else was there, the staff stopped making more dishes for the running sushi. There were types of sushi that finished showing up after 2-3 plates and we had to insist getting the desert, even though it was already paid. Not to mention that we expected Japanese music. Didn't happened. Definitely not planning to go there again.

We ordered as a group takeaway and although the portions were ok, the quality was definitely lacking, I could go as far as to say it was the worst Asian food I've ever had by I'll just say that it was painful to pay that price for canned food and frozen goods, next time I'll probably go buy some instant ramen at rema ..

Running sushi for lunch. I think most places only serve running sushi in the evening, bit this place is open for lunch. Not the biggest assortment, but it was ok and also not too expensive

Fantastic starters, shrimp, sashimi, and nigiri. The sushi sizes can be inconsistent; sometimes the pieces are overly large with too much rice compared to the norm. While the starters are always excellent, the sushi experience can vary from visit to visit.

Back to 4 stars... after August 2022 visit. The #2 and #3 below are improving with the Combo sashimi plate deleted from the menu. Reducing the rating to 3 stars after today's visit, Apr 4, 2022, for the following changes for the worse... 1. Several key plates previously included in the all-you-can-eat option are no longer included -- sashimi combo plate, making the AYCE option moot. 2. Rice-to-fish ratio has gone up significantly, creating imbalance in the taste, value, and health (too much carb). 3. The quality and taste of non-sushi items appear to have gone down also. Not sure I will return here any more. This is my 3rd time dining at this restaurant. The first time was a rather unpleasant (takeout) experience, not from the food but service wise, leading to a low rating. The second time was takeout for a company party. The food was still good and uneventful in terms of the takeout process. Today, we decided to dine in. Perhaps, my expectation was a low from the past experience. Surprisingly, it was quite good all around -- dining in made the food better and perhaps fresher and the service, much more accommodating and pleasant. The very nice presentation of the sushi and sashimi on unique stone plates perhaps made the food seem better. Also, the ambience (music included) was calm and soothing. This dine-in experience is worthy of (much) higher rating. In fact, this place is now my/our favorite sushi place in Aarhus!

The restaurant has a fine atmosphere, but the food was underwhelming. The flavors were bland, and some dishes seemed like they had been sitting for too long before being served. The ingredients didn’t taste fresh, which was disappointing given the high prices.

Unfortunately food quality was somewhat low. Lots of rice (sushi ratio was just to fill you up, so you eat less in all-you-can-eat). (We ordered more than this but these are pictures I had.) The food was most of the time very dry. Some garnish were just to be pretty but they made the dish not taste good. I ordered green tea and it got bitter real quick (lose leaves, so no way to take it out). Fanta was watered down by ice cubes. All the tapas and starter things were just too dry, the flavor was good most of the time. The gyoza was soggy instead of nicely golden brown, but tasty flavor. Most of the dishes were good, and we enjoyed most of the time spent at the restaurant. Though, we encountered an issue with the chef REFUSING to make more nigiri for us, by saying “I made too many already”. We were 6 people, and we asked for less than 8/9 nigiri each, so not that “many” as the chef complained about. In my opinion you shouldn’t have an “All You Can Eat” option if I can’t actually get all I ask for, which was not even that much honestly. As side note I gotta add that the nigiri had way too much rice than necessary, but that another thing.

The presentation of the food is always among the very best I've seen. It's genuinely enjoyable to look at the platters, you can tell that they take pride in it. Great little place to get good ramen. Tried the miso-based ramen, and I'm happy to report that it is one of the best rammens I've had. Food is generally cheep, especially with the lunch deal. We came to the restaurant expecting a nice dinner with authentic Japanese ramen which is supposedly their star of the show There is no halal options except for the fried chicken which is 65 DKK and their vegan ramen tasted funky, disappointing and like propane gas… The Shoyu ramen was very and I mean very salty to the point where the mouth itches. On top of that the amount of noodles in the portion is rather dissatisfying and depressing… for a bigger person the noodles are gone in two bites. On the bright side the pork in the shoyu ramen was soft and enjoyable and the noodles cooked to perfection. For the price it’s not worth it and there is definitely better places.

I think a lot of the people might be misinterpreting this place. I don't think they intend to sell true Japanese ramen but their own style of it, therefore their restaurant is called "gaijin" which means foreigner/outside, and I think it suits. Me and my husband had Mushroom Shoyu and spicy Kimchi respectively, and they were very tasty, even if not as good as other ramen we have tasted for example in Vejle, but still very tasty and filled us well. (You can trust me, my guts will usually tell me if something's bad 😉). The staff was also very welcoming and friendly. The price is okay for the amount of food and quality.

It's rare to find quality Ramen outside of Japan, and Gaijin Ramen definitely satisfies my craving while awaiting my next Japan Trip. The restaurant is cozy, the staff is super nice, food is good. The Broth could be a bit richer, but that is nitpicking. The only negative is the price to portion ratio. February 2023 pricing is 120 DKK for a Bowl of Ramen (seems it was cheaper before). The bowl is not even 2/3rd full, only half an egg (cmon really?), and not much noodles either. I know Denmark is expensive, but a ramen like that would be 700-800¥ in Japan so around 45 DKK. At 90-100 DKK it would be more fair, or at the current prices at least give us a full egg, some more noodles and 1 more scoop of broth and it would be 5/5.

Looking from the outside you would never guess what this place holds. It looks like a shack inside a mall but it is actually a really cool place. Kinda small and busy so book a table. You order everything on a tablet at your table and a robot will bring it to you. Considering it would probably be faster to just walk over with the food, it is worth it to get served by a robot. The food is great and they have a good variety. The menue is not super intuitive.

We went there with two hungry kids under the age of 4. The chicken with rice dish for them was perfect - chicken juicy, crisp and tender, rice perfectly balanced with typical Japanese seasoning. The authentic Japanese lemonade was a hit for the kids. Me and my husband chose the curry with chicken which was also perfectly balanced and the most authentic Japanese Curry we had outside Japan so far.
