Located in the heart of Aarhus, Scandic Aarhus City offers modern and comfortable rooms with a focus on sustainability. The hotel is situated on a pedestrianized street near shopping areas and various dining options. It has been awarded Nordic Ecolabel Swan certification for its eco-friendly initiatives such as rooftop solar panels and on-site beehives that supply honey for breakfast.
Lovely hotel at heart of Aahrus Right at city enter Friendly for kids and family Rooms are great Good breakfast at hotel served Games available at lobby for family and kids Good price for the property
Rajneesh A — Google review
This is a nice place with a good environment. They offer some nice family-friendly activities, which is great if you’re traveling with kids. The surroundings are beautiful and relaxing. The breakfast (or supper) is quite basic — don't expect a wide variety or colorful options, but it’s decent and acceptable. However, I was not satisfied with the cleanliness of the room. I could still see signs from previous guests — hair in the bathroom, marks of toothpaste on the sink and walls, and stains on towels and around the toiletries. These are things that clearly should have been taken care of during cleaning. Another issue was the lack of attention to basic in-room service items. For example, on the first day there was only tea provided — no coffee. Only after I asked and after the room was cleaned the next day did they finally restock it with coffee. The same happened with the shampoo — there was none provided on the first day. It seems like no one really checks if everything is restocked properly for the next guest. That’s disappointing for a hotel of this standard. Also, I was surprised that no slippers were provided. That might be acceptable if the floor were perfectly clean, but since the floors weren't that clean either, walking barefoot didn’t feel hygienic at all. So in terms of cleanliness and attention to room details, I’d say it really needs improvement. On the positive side, the staff were polite, helpful, and kind. I really appreciated their attitude. Also, the hotel has good access to public transportation and is close to the city center. The location is definitely convenient.
Z T — Google review
Nice compact cosy rooms with comfortable beds. Amenities lack body lotion. Rooms have coffee maker but no tea is provided. There is a locker also in the room. Air-conditioning seems to be turned off. Breakfast was quite good. Location is great in the city center.
Ramesh G — Google review
Great and friendly staff, both in reception and restaurant. Rooms are good (had a Superior) and clean. Tv has chromecast functionality. Had the fish course in their restaurant Was really good. Great location
Tobbe F — Google review
Scandic Aarhus City was a great place to stay for the start of the second week of our Denmark Holiday and first days in Jutland. Within reasonable walking distance to the train station for us with our bags and suitcase. It is also in really good proximity to the shopping street, restaurant strip along the canal (KöD was a good time), Aarhus Domkirke, and of course: Den Gamle By. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel and restaurant have a really nice cosy feel. The room itself was spacious and clean with good amenities and comfy beds, but it didn't quite continue the cosy of the rest of the hotel. We would definitely recommend a stay here and it will be our first choice for our next visit to Aarhus.
Mark D — Google review
The hotel is very centrally located, in the middle of the city, and also close to Aarhus Central Station and Bus Station. You are close to everything. Cozy and quiet rooms, good breakfast buffet and service-minded staff.
Mohafiz W — Google review
The room was clean and spacious. I also enjoyed morning breakfast. No fridge and it was difficult to regulate the AC.

great hotel, close to the sea and to a restaurant area (like 10 minute walk). The rooms are super nice and we had a nice view of the city. I also had the breakfast and it was amazing. everything was fresh and there was a large variety of things to choose from.
Nella Š — Google review
The hotel has it all, but most important the view. It does not get any better, with a perfect view over Århus and the sea. Bar area and restaurant are vre cosy and the hotel is easy to get around in. Location vice it is a bit out from center, but in walking distance of everything you might want to see on the city.
Emil K — Google review
The hotel overall is decent, very central in the heart of the city, 8 mins walk from the main train station and the old town. This hotel doesn't offer coffee machines and mini bar at the rooms. What I find weird is that u have to order room cleaning via a barcode you have in your room, otherwise they don't clean it. Overall value for money and considering the location, I think it's not a bad option.
Tony R — Google review
Noisy, dusty, and horrible parking. Don’t book this hotel if you arrive by car. Parking conditions are horrible. The hotel has very limited parking spaces. They will sell you a parking ticket despite all parking spaces are already sold out. There is no alternative parking spaces in approx 1km distance from the hotel. The hotel is in the middle of a construction site. It is quite noisy too.
Martin E — Google review
Nothing to complain. Hotel is expanding so there is a building site next door but its quiet and doesn't impact the stay.

Rooms are nice and spacious, beds are comfortable and breakfast was good! Breakfast options are not huge but all freshly (home)made and good. Coffee could be better. Location wise also good, lots of restaurants within walking distance. Good value for money option
Jeroen B — Google review
A great place to stay when visiting the city. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the shower curtains can be annoying for me personally, so I will ask if they have a room with a shower door next time. The shower is fine otherwise. Staff is friendly and helpful, and parking is limited at the hotel but street and garage parking are always available and right out of the doors.
Mark A — Google review
Only positives for me: breakfast is amazing, bed was comfortable, reception staff is nice. But the shower curtains stink terribly - a sign of not being washed for a while. The rooms are tiny for the price paid. And there was a filthy spot (see picture) on the duvet cover - another sign of negligent maintenance. The walls and floor had marks. But the reception staff was very nice and helpful.
Prajakt ( — Google review
Nice looking and well decorated hotel! Rooms are small but okay enough for a short stay. Only downside was the smelly showercurtain. The breakfast was very good, enough options and great quality. Service and check in were good, attentive people. There's a few parking spots in the courtyard, but you have to order beforehand. Very close to the station and amazing location overall to visit Aarhus by foot or bike.
Lo D — Google review
A confortable stay at the beginning of 2025! Kind staff, elegant common areas, high quality breakfast with several choices. Well located close to the city centre. Car parking available in the hotel surroundings.
Fabrizio M — Google review
We spent 2 pleasant nights at Hotel Oasia. We were in room 8016 which was very sleek and comfortable with a nice bathroom. Giving 4 stars for location as this room (which we requested) is facing the train tracks. The hotel has multiple buildings so train tracks may not be a problem in another room. Overall, excellent stay and would highly recommend Hotel Oasia for your stay in Aarhaus.
Danielle C — Google review
Very good location within walking distance of the city center. Inviting and cozy lounge area on the first floor with free hot drinks. Fitness room available. However, some coffee cups not thoroughly washed. Breakfast offer was good. Between 8am and 8:30am the breakfast room was hopelessly overcrowded. Very well made and very hygienic, almost all dishes are portioned in preserving jars, which is also more environmentally friendly. Own parking spaces in the courtyard and in the nearby parking garage. In the parking garage you get a discounted price for one night, which here means 32 hours, but unfortunately the reception staff did not know this. Therefore unnecessary paid several hours for parking on the street. Our standard double room was extremely tiny, especially in the bathroom you could hardly turn around. Shower cubicle very narrow, when sitting on the loo the sink hung in your face. The room was also worn and unclean. After complaining, we were given a new room for the following night and chocolates as an apology. The new room was more spacious, but the mattresses were worn out and the neighbors made a lot of noise because the walls are so hard to hear.
Tom — Google review
Great service, a nice lounge and everything you'd need. They even had free earplugs which was a life-safer!

Lodge
The Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel, Aarhus offers sophisticated accommodation with a stylish Nordic restaurant and an array of meeting rooms. The hotel has implemented the Radisson Hotels Safety Protocol in partnership with SGS to ensure thorough cleanliness and disinfection procedures. Situated near popular attractions such as the ARoS Art Museum and Den Gamley By, this award-winning property provides easy access to the city's landmarks.
We stayed two nights at Radisson Blu Scandinavia Aarhus before heading to Grundfos HQ in Bjerringbro. The hotel is very well located — right next to ARoS Art Museum and the concert hall — making it easy to explore the city on foot. The room was comfortable and spacious, though unfortunately we were a bit too jet-lagged to enjoy the bed fully! What really stood out was the excellent breakfast spread and an outstanding dinner at RAA, the in-house restaurant — one of the best meals of our entire trip outside of our time at Grundfos and Frisholt. Service was friendly, and check-in/check-out was smooth. A solid, reliable choice for both business and leisure in Aarhus. Would definitely stay again.
EG C — Google review
Overnight parking is DKK250/ night that you'll have to pay over and above the hotel's stay. WIFI is okay - not what you'd expect from this class of hotels. Very choppy even though my room was near a router. Bed, room size, pillows, showers - all good.
Jason Q — Google review
The hotel is located next to museum Aros, on walking distance from the city center. Staff is very friendly. But, the hotel is very dated and doesn’t seem to have enjoyed any update since the 90’s. We booked a “superior” room, which is supposed to be more spacious and well managed, what we got was a small room with curtains that have holes in them, a disgusting vomit stain in the carpet, and a bathroom that hasn’t been updated since 1995. The elevators don’t have any sensors installed in them so the doors just slam shut on whoever walks in or out at the wrong moment. The small dog of another guest was hit by these doors, looked very painful. Using that elevator felt very unsafe. Do something about this dated mess. This is not what guests expect when they book a room in a Radisson hotel.
Matthijs H — Google review
Firstly, I will say that the young man serving in the restaurant, with the blond wavy hair, had great customer service. The rest was not so great. The shower glass did nothing to stop the water flooding the bathroom floor. The handheld shower was spurting water from the hose itself. The toilet kept flushing, until I made an effort to stop it. The bed was so small that I worried I would fall out if I turned over. No foam pillows, so keep that in mind if you have allergies. There is nothing in this hotel. If you want a coffee or tea in the morning, you will have to pay DK240 for the breakfast. For the price of this hotel, I think there has to be better options in Aarhus. At least they need to check the room before putting guests in there.
Gina L — Google review
Great hotel located in the heart of Århus. We got a free upgrade to the Executive top floor, when we checked in. In our room, we were greeted with chocolate and a personal note from the general manager. Nice amenities like Nescafé machine, boiler for tea and hot chocolate. The room was spacious and light with a great view over the city. However, a bit worn with broken tiles in the bathroom. Nice shampoo and body lotion. As the room had a double duvet in the bed, we requested for and extra, and it was already delivered after 10 minutes. Great and serviceminded staff both on the reception, housekeeping and breakfast team. Nice and cosy breakfast restaurant with a wide and delicious selection inclusive cava. We stayed for two nights and will definitely come back.
Linda B — Google review
Overall good Nice view (floor 11), firm bed with soft pillows which is great for me The air conditioning is too noisy to have running at night, so it needs to be shut off. The bathroom seems a bit aged, could use a redo (especially shower heads etc) Some amenities are just for 1 person (e.g one shower cap)
Zadak L — Google review
We stayed for one night together with our dog. Everything was well - though the rooms seem quite outdated and our shower was leaking water. The staff was very friendly and the location very close to all important sights in the city. If you are not planning to spend much time in the room, this is a clear recommendation.
Phil K — Google review
Didn’t really enjoy my stay - the rooms are pretty old looking (old carpet, showerhead). WiFi was almost nonexistent in my room despite being 2 floors above the reception level - this is especially frustrating if you are there for business and need to do computer work. It’s also not in the best location - you need to walk 10 mins before you reach any streets with restaurants/shops.

Hotel Atlantic is a laid-back property located right on the harbour quay near Dokk1 in Aarhus. It offers beautiful views of both the harbor and the city center. The hotel provides a selection of smaller single or double rooms, with options for standard or superior categories depending on the desired view. Guests can enjoy amenities such as complimentary breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and comfortable king-size beds.
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, amazing breakfast and close to everything! Great experience. Only thing to complain about was the teenie tiny elevator from the car park to the lobby. It was way too small and impractical.
Karina M — Google review
Good value for money. Centrally located. Great breakfast on top floor with great view. Friendly service. It isn't the Ritz or Carlton or Steigenberger. But we had a pleasant stay. If there is something I would recommend, replace single and old double glazing. It'll reward you with a reduced heating bill and will keep the noise out better. They have reviews on display, even unfavourable ones. Chapeau for this brave transparency. Would not agree with the negative ones, though.
Hans S — Google review
Overall I had a nice stay at hotel Atlantic. The breakfast was very good and the location is great. It’s close to the train station and the bus stop. The rooms do get very hot as they don’t have A/C. The window opens and they provide a fan in each room and that helped with the heat. The shower is kind of weird because it is not in a separate space from the sink. They provide plenty of towels and a squeegee to clean the floor after each shower. Each room also comes with a hair dryer and basic utilities. I arrived before check in and they allowed me to store my luggage in a designated area. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It’s affordable and for a few nights it’s not a bad place to stay.
Sarah M — Google review
When we arrived it was about 35 C degrees in the room. Windows only opened a tiny bit. The receptionist, a trainee, lowered the temp via her computer but of course it takes hours to cool down. The beds are great which softened the pain a little.
Marjolijn D — Google review
Absolute fabulous location. Situated on the harbour front, close to restaurants, points of interest, and transportation. The breakfast buffet wants for nothing. The rooms are large and spacious, with plenty of light and a great wiev of the harbour and sea. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was housekeeping, but I guess they are to stay as green as possible...
Samuel A — Google review
For a shower gel showroom this place has lovely beds, a great breakfast and extremely helpful receptionists. Don’t believe the (negative) hype! A lovely Hotel
Solobaggie — Google review
Fantastic hotel, perfectly placed minutes to the main center and attractions. We were so impressed with this hotel, the photos don't do it justice, boutique style, really well dressed and thoughtful of the smaller things and big experience (natural plants, eco friendly toiletries provided, balconies etc). The service was superb throughout, as was the breakfast range (one of the best presented and options across my Europe visits) would definitely recommend and stay again.

Extended stay hotel
Hotel Royal is an elegant and art-filled establishment housed in a historic building dating back to 1838. The hotel offers a refined restaurant, a casino, and a bar for guests to enjoy. Situated along the Aarhus River and near the charming Latin quarter, this four-star neoclassical hotel features over 300 art pieces and impressive stained glass interiors.
Amazing hotel in the heart of Aarhus. Fully refurbished rooms to an exquisite standard. The breakfast room is breathtaking and the food excellent. But what most stands out is the wonderful hospitality, especially from Marie Sofie. Marie’s professionalism, kindness and going the extra mile has made the stay a true pleasure. From her tips on where to have dinner to making sure we had everything to make our stay comfortable (fresh milk for tea for instance). I travel a lot for work, and have found this high standard of hospitality only in a few places. Thank you again Marie and Hotel Royal.
Alex — Google review
We had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Royal for a couple of nights, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hotel is located in an elegant and charming neighborhood, making it both visually appealing and easy to access. From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was seamless, and we were immediately impressed by the exceptional hospitality of the staff. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, offering assistance with anything we needed and providing thoughtful recommendations to enhance our stay. Their genuine warmth and attention to detail made us feel truly valued as guests. Our room, while not particularly spacious, was impeccably clean and thoughtfully appointed to maximize comfort. The high standard of housekeeping was evident throughout our stay, contributing to an overall sense of relaxation and ease. In summary, our experience at Hotel Royal was thoroughly enjoyable, and we would not hesitate to return on a future visit. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodation, and a prime location makes this hotel a wonderful choice.
Nazek M — Google review
For a 5 star hotel the service was very disappointing. The air-conditioning does not actually cool the room, they can only heat. My stay was very uncomfortable and hot. When I told the staff about it they did not offer any sort of solution apart from a fan. When I booked it said the rooms have air-conditioning however this is not true. When I asked for a late checkout they also wanted me to pay just so I could stay until 1pm instead of 12pm. Considering I could not sleep most nights due to the heat, this was terrible service and not what you’d expect from a 5 star hotel. Breakfast was nice however it ends at 10am which is very early for European standards. Rooms were also very dusty and not properly cleaned. Location is amazing and very central to the main attractions in town (shops, cafes, bars) however you are better off staying elsewhere that is better value. This place is more like a 3 star hotel.
Z — Google review
Disappointing experience. DON'T EVER GO THERE! Bad hygiene : please see the layer of dust on the safe. The rooms are old, and equipments such as showers are terribly old. Breakfast was complete caos. All cups, dishes, folk and knives were dirty with food residues. Don't understand how they can serve these for breakfast service. The receptionist and the waitresses at breakfast were all very serviced minded. But that does not change the fact that the hotel interior are outdated and broken. (The bathroom door cannot be closed without you slamming it).
Han W — Google review
Stayed at the king suite. Nice charming and elegant hotel. If you are very sensitive to noise then note this part of town is more loud than other areas during Friday and Saturday. The rooms themselves were fairly well noise insulated.
Christian H — Google review
A truly iconic hotel with timeless charm. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with cozy beds, a lovely view, and beautiful historic character. The staff were warm and attentive, making us feel welcome from the start. Breakfast was great. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

Very beautiful location at the heart of Århus. For some strange reason we had the bar completely for ourselves, which was nice. The smart-tv hooked up to our Netflix and Youtube accounts.

Was very pleasantly surprised by our stay at Hotel Royal, the room was spacious and neatly decorated, with the bathroom having recently been upgrade to a much higher standard than the photos of the old bathrooms displayed on the website. The hotel is clearly in the process of being updated this however caused no disturbance to our stay.

A great hotel all round. It’s in the middle of town so you can easily walk to anywhere in central Aarhus. Our room was warm, clean and comfortable and staff were friendly and welcoming at all times. Breakfast was included and offered a large variety of good quality food. A really good experience.

Acceptable hotel for 1 or 2 nights. Small rooms. Bed and pillows would require an upgrade. Loved the breakfast. 5 min walks from station

The room was fine, the breakfast was good but beware that parking is a huge hassle. Difficult to drop off. Parking garage is 8min walk if you know what you’re doing. 15min when you don’t. All this because of all the construction the hotel going thru. Great shower. Front desk always very helpful.

The breakfast was overwhelmingly superb! Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and well located. I’ll be back next time I’m in Aarhus

Unfortunately the hotel is under construction and some parts of the hotel should be closed or not reachable. Instead you walk through the workers. The hotel as a hotel is nice and clean The staff is gentle and the breakfast is more than fine. It is about 5' away from the city centre.

Based on our experience, "Scandic The Mayor" appears to be a hotel with some notable strengths and a significant weakness. We gave the hotel an overall rating of two out of five stars. We specifically rated the rooms at only one star, indicating a major issue in this area. The service we received earned a three-star rating, suggesting it was adequate but not exceptional. The location, however, was rated four out of five stars, indicating a positive aspect of the hotel. We found the rooms to be the smallest we've ever seen, and it seems the hotel is clearly aware of the problem. This is a major drawback that significantly impacted our stay. Our trip was for business. We did not find any of the descriptors for the hotel, such as "Luxury," "Great view," or "Romantic," to be applicable. Overall, based on our experience, the hotel's location seems to be its main positive attribute. However, the extremely small rooms are a major concern, and the service was only average. Potential guests should be aware of the room size issue before booking. As ordinary consumers, we are not paid or compensated in any way for this review. We are always looking for reliable and transparent businesses and hope the owner will take this feedback into consideration.

Good location in central Aarhus however the rooms require some renovations and there is a strange smell due to current reconstruction ongoing. I would not return here

The hotel is a construction site. And it is not only that more noice should be expected" (as stated under 'Important information'). It is about comfort and safety. The "construcion" areas are not deliniated nor secured, the equipment is laying around and workers in the middle of walking paths, leaders standing at the door and all main pathways - to the elevator and to the breakfast place. Stair case is build temporarly, but it does not give a safe feeling, and i doubt it would work in case of, for example, fire alarm/ evacuation. In addition, in the standard of the 'single economy' room is below of any expectations, even as for 'economy' room. The biggest part of the room is the toilet, and the room is ' narrow area around the toilet'. Narrow to the point that it is difficult to move around ( room 406). Also, there is a 'step' on the way to toilet, that may be difficult for some. There is no aircondition in the room, and it is getting was very warm in the room. To make it worst, there is 'hot water pipe' (?), inside the room (408), just by the door which is (1) additional unwanted heat source and (2) not nice to be touch accidentaly ( which offten hapoens as the space is very tiny)

Easy to access by car + free parking right outside. Our family room was bigger and nicer than pictured + very affordable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Small, but good, breakfast. Would stay again!

I have been staying at this location every few months for years due to proximity to work. Alongside the price, the location is the only reason I return. In general the quality has declined, but over time it adds up. There is only one iron for the whole hotel. If someone else is using it, or leaves it in their room all night, tough luck. I've given them feedback on this before, no action taken. They used to have an automatic shoe polisher adjacent to the elevators, it no longer functions (no polish). The temperature of the water in the showers is not consistently warm. I suspect that it is when everyone is showering, e.g. on the morning before work and before bed, but it is something so simple and so easy to fix. These are simple examples, across multiple stays, in different rooms. But it is cheap and the location is ideal.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. But the curtains do not block any light from outside. It’s impossible to sleep with so much light coming in. Of course not a problem during autumn and winter.

This was a stop for going on our way to Norway. Easy check-in using the computers at the entrance. We arrived after check-in time and that wasn't any problem. Free parking right in front of the hotel, plenty of space. The room. Spacious room, very good beds facing a TV. The bathroom was clean and there was nothing to complain about. Location. We thought we would be closer to the city center, but it takes about 30min with public transport. The bus station is right next to the hotel which makes it easier. Breakfast. Nice buffet, tasty croissants and omelets. Coffee is good!

If you need a place to stay with your dog in Århus, Zleep is the choice. Great hotel for reasonable money, helpful staff, clean rooms, good breakfast, max 10 minutes from centrum by car. Both me and my dog had a pleasant stay.🤩 P.S: There is a nice park across the street🐶

Do not book this hotel you will end up paying double what the rate is if you are not careful. Would have been 4* if it wasn’t for the constant over charging of all services. We booked a family room on booking.com expecting to pay at the property. There is no front desk staff, you pay on a machine and no one was around to ask about the overcharge. First, The hotel had added 200kr for a baby cot when one was never requested. When we finally saw staff we mentioned it and he refunded it saying it was his mistake. The bill was still much higher than we were expecting so we asked for an itemized folio. This showed that we were charged for 4 extra breakfasts, about 600kr extra. Again the employee apologized saying it was a system glitch. We enjoyed a night in Aarhus and came back to the following afternoon so our kids could nap. Only to find a parking ticket on our care for 800kr. We had filled out the parking validation during check in but still received a ticket. The front desk told us the system was updated overnight and accidentally deleted all previously validated license plates. However they didn’t tell anyone to revalidate and couldn’t reverse the ticket. Since you are going to spend the money anyways on all the “system errors” you may as well book at a hotel with furnished rooms and amenities.

The hotels in Denmark are quite expensive, but overall the reception was nice, the room was on the small side but very well designed and just what you need. Tv has many decent channels, the room was very clean and bathroom was spotless. The only thing I may have missed in this room, was some of the smaller amenities such as in room coffee/tea tray etc.
Mitas — Google review
Just a quick stay here in Aarhus, the stay was so nice we wish we could stay longer. Jacob at the front desk was very helpful and friendly making us feel welcomed. The rooms were nice, they helped us with an extra bed. Clean rooms with all the accommodations needed for our Danish travels. Would highly recommend for a stay in Aarhus with plenty to see, do and eat nearby.

Pros: The girls at the reception were super helpful and nice. Price is reasonable. Location is very good. Breakfast is delicious. Cons: Parking is far and costs around 150 dkk per night. Our room smelled very bad. The big pillows on the bed weren't clean.

A really high standard when you compare the price and what you get to other hotels much more expensive. A positive surprise. There is free coffee, snacks, also healthy, all day. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Rooms are clean and have all the essentials and there is no noise from the streets. Can highly recommend this hotel.

If you just here to sleep it’s ok. Hotel is a bit worn down and rooms aren’t that clean. The wall-to-wall carpet was a bit smelly and bathroom wasn’t as clean as expected. No air conditioning either. Good service tho, although the receptionist was away most of the time.

Perfect Stay near the main station, and few minutes from the city centre. Good rooms but not very big bathrooms, also missed a towel there. Breakfast ist in the basement, but its sweet and comfortable. Wifi was not so good in the room, maybe because it was at the end of the hallway, but rest was good.

I loved the beautiful and Cozy rooms! The staff were all amazing, willing to go above and beyond to help in any way they could. It's located in walking distance to everything you need. I walked all over the place alone, stayed alone, and felt very safe. They still use a "key" for the room, with a heavy key chain. I recommend giving it to the front desk when you leave for the day. The day I was leaving, I couldn't find it. I thought I left it in the room. However, when arriving back to Copenhagen before flying home to the US, I found the key with me! Yikes!! The owner was extremely nice and patient with the situation. The hotel in Copenhagen was supposed to mail back for me, but it wasn't mailed. By the time I found out the key wasn't mailed, I was back in the US and needed a family member to take care of it for me. I was so grateful for how nice and understanding the owner was. He didn't receive the key back for several weeks without charging me. This was the service you will receive here, more like family staying in their home, rather than just a number.

My no.1 hotel stay ever. The atmosphere was absolutely lovely, nice and quiet in the middle of the city center, like stepping into another world when entering the courtyard, with the wonderful trees, birds, seating area - small and intimate, yet enough space for privacy. The room- clean, neat and a homey feel, with bathroom of a nice size, cool on the hot summer days we spent in Aarhus. Extra points for the warm, personal service and the open bar- concept🥰. Hope to be able to come back! Until then, this experience will stay with me for a long time.

Loved this little boutique hotel! Reception was warm and welcoming and eager to help! Cute little help yourself bar set up so you can either make your own cocktails, grab a beer or glass of wine to enjoy in the cozy courtyard. Our room was great, equipped with a fan which was perfect for the heat, and outside noises. Bathroom was a perfect size, had slippers and robes which came in handy! We didn’t have time for the breakfast the next morning but did pay for the parking in the private lot. Location was great - easy to walk to pretty much anything in the downtown area.
Sara F — Google review
I would previously have recommended this hotel as the one place to stay in Aarhus. However, our recent stay was not pleasant. We had booked one night because we needed a good night’s sleep before a family funeral. Upon check-in we were informed we had been upgraded to a suite as they were out of other rooms - only to find out it was on the top floor with very low ceilings and ceiling windows with no blackout curtains. The room was so hot, bright and it sounded like a group of birds were murdering each other all night, so we got 1h of sleep and it sadly spoiled the weekend.

(Translated by Google) To be honest we could have saved ourselves the misery if we had taken the time to choose a hotel and looked at the pictures properly. We went to Aarhus around a national holiday so the prices were very high and there was little choice of hotels. This was the only hotel where we would not have had to book an extra room because we were travelling with a baby so in theory there were three people, so at many hotels we ended up paying around 500 euros per night while this one was around 120 euros per night. The description said it was wheelchair accessible and that they had family rooms and we booked on that basis. When you arrive at the hotel you open both the gate of the car park and the door of the hotel itself with a code, your key is in a letter that is in a basket at the entrance. There is no staff present to check you in so you can't ask where the hotel rooms are. After we searched the first corridor where the smell of microwave meal already met us, we realized that the rooms can be found if you go down the stairs. We went with the idea that if it is wheelchair accessible then there is a possibility to go with the elevator. That is not allowed because it is only for staff. I think it is there for decoration because during our entire stay I did not see any of the staff, if they were there I could have at least asked if an exception could be made and we could still go down with the stroller with the elevator. We had to go through the football canteen where we found the source of the microwave meal smell. If there were staff present it could perhaps be cleaned a bit but again they are not walking around so expect the smell of locker room, sweaty foot and microwave meal to come towards you. In the end from lugging the stroller and luggage the sweat was on our backs but we had found the room. Once the door of our room was opened I had to wipe away a tear from the misery. The concrete walls come towards you in this tiny room, we really don't expect a suite but even on your own you get claustrophobic here let alone with your whole family and your stuff. This room looked more like a prison cell or a youth boarding school than a hotel. It was sweltering hot and stuffy so the first thing we did was open the door and windows. Through the door of your room you enter a yard because I can't call it a cozy communal garden. A cemetery has an even cozier atmosphere. The beds were so bad, the only one who slept properly was our baby because he got a brand new mattress still in the packaging for the baby bed, probably because no parent is crazy enough to sleep here with a family. In the closet in the room there was also a microwave meal from the previous guest (or the one before that because who knows at this point). Apparently the microwave was very popular here. The breakfast is not worth the money and the effort, the bread is as hard as concrete which fits in well with the "theme" of the hotel. If I had known this in advance I would have definitely paid the higher price for a decent hotel because this was really terrible but also very frustrating to have to lug your stroller and child down the stairs because the elevator is only for the invisible staff, and with a family in such a small room is just not pleasant. I am glad that our child already eats reasonably well and is also breastfed because I would not have wanted to heat up a snack or bottle in a microwave that was so worn out and looked so unhygienic. Have you always wondered what a prison feels like and would you like to experience this then I would definitely recommend booking this hotel. If you want a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed with a bit more space where you feel like you can move then I would definitely look further.

CABINN Hotel Aarhus is a charming and modern accommodation option located in the vibrant heart of Aarhus. Just a short stroll from notable attractions like the Aarhus Theater and Viking Museum, this hotel features cozy rooms that include sleeping lofts and some with balconies offering lovely river views. The reception area boasts a contemporary design, while an all-day cafeteria provides guests with convenient dining options. Although the compact rooms cater to budget-conscious travelers, they are well-equipped for comfort.
Rooms are tiny, well mine was, but the most comfortable bed in Denmark! The bite is perfectly functional and covers all the needs for a couple of nights. It’s in a great location, some very good bars and restaurants around.

I don't know why this place gets a lot of poor reviews. It is in a perfect, central location. Certainly where my room was, at the back of the hotel was extremely peaceful. The room has everything that you need, including a kettle and a hot shower. Staff were really pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast was also tasty and reasonably priced. Plus a great wifi connection. What more do you need?

The hotel is near some pub so during the night is quite noisy even with windows closed, also the cleaning could be improved, the curtains of my room were full of dead bugs. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good.

In the search for an affordable hotel in Aarhus, Cabbin came up and that is a fact. It’s a # stars hotel so I didn’t expect luxury. The hotel is ideally located, the commons ( lobbies, breakfast place, building dispositions) are great. BUT the standard rooms are very small (fully equipped though) the double bed is a queen size bed so not so comfortable fit for two tall aduldts. The other issue is that one side of the hotel is just above the bar and club district so on Fridays, in the summer at least it is very noisy and until dawn. Except that it’s a good hotel
Thierry P — Google review
Their slogan is “All you need to sleep”, and that’s what you find in this hotel. Although the room was certainly small, and even stressful for to people, they are quiet and well isolated. The bathroom is tiny, indeed, but this is a “cabinn” hotel, so don’t expect more. The best part of it is the service staff, specially OHM, a really nice asian boy who sorted out every problem we had. Thank you, Ohm. In short, don’t book if you plan to stay in the room awake for a long time, but only for sleeping. Location is superb.

Very little room, for me felt like hostel. No shampoo, no body lotion, no hair conditioner. The bathroom looks like in a german train. If u are usee to hostels - its good. If you want a proper hotel room - i would not stay here. Very tiny walls, you hear your neighbour and elevator as well

I recently stayed at Cabinn Hotel Aarhus and, overall, it was a decent experience—especially for the price. It actually exceeded my expectations in some areas. The hotel was clean and the location is excellent—just a short 10-minute walk from the main train station and the airport bus stop, which made getting around very easy. However, the rooms were very small, and the bathroom was even more cramped. That was probably the biggest downside. The bathroom had an odd setup with the shower directly facing the toilet, and there was a noticeable smell when the shower was turned on. It felt more like a compact wet room than a proper bathroom. If you're looking for a no-frills, budget-friendly place to sleep in a central location, it works well—but be prepared for very tight spaces.
Day D — Google review
You can sleep three people in a room, but one person needs to climb up to their bed using a narrow ladder—perfect for a flexible child. The rooms are rather small, and the view is not historic or particularly fancy, but it’s cheap and very close to all the cool things happening in Aarhus. So, we give it a highly recommended 5 stars. The only thing to mention is the limited parking. It’s pay-to-park, and it's not cheap—a classic side effect of an ultra-central location. Be sure to book parking in advance as well.

Since we did not have a car, it was inconvenient to track across the parking lot & over a ditch. Apartment was very nice. Wish there was food ( other than breakfast) since no restaurants near by . Ordered in but food available not that good. Breakfast was excellently

The hotel itself is okay if you are looking for an apartment style room. The restaurant was not open on the evening I arrived and there are limited options to order food in. There are no restaurants or bars within walking distance so it's public transport or taxi. A few complaints that the rooms are hot despite the fan. The breakfast was good. Very conveniently situated for the business district.

Great hotel, love the room. Breakfast A+ Disliked the check-in. To computer organized. Same with the laundry. Need to much time trying to download app and setup account. Need to pay parking on line as well. Spend to much time setting this add+ones up, to appriciate the value/cost benefit. Loved everything else
Lars J — Google review
Loved it! It’s a bit far from the centre but it’s worth it. There is a tram stop right next to the hotel. Could use some more washing machines and dryers… the breakfast is pretty great too!
Irene K — Google review
This is a very interesting hotel, it's, as the name implies, a block of apartment style rooms. Each room looks to have a kitchen area I had two different rooms in my stay and one was on the end of the block and was larger. There's no air conditioning just as a note. One side of the block backs on the the tramline so is noisy if you have the windows open to cool the room. Breakfast is better than most hotels in Aarhus. The hotel has an excellent working area around the rear with free WiFi. We definitely be back
Ian K — Google review
It was 9 pm, and I had to deliver something the next day at work. I reached the hotel at night and realized I had forgotten my mouse. I really needed to be productive that evening to finish some work. I asked for a mouse at the reception. Behind the reception desk, there were approximately five computers, none of which were in use at that moment because, you know, it was very late at night. When I asked for a mouse, making it clear that I really needed one, I received a negative answer. But it wasn’t the kind of response you'd expect from someone with a service attitude — someone who would at least try to solve the problem by calling someone, checking a drawer, or explaining why they couldn’t lend me one of the mice at reception due to hotel policies. The response was simply: “We don’t have spare mice.” That was it. Maybe I’m wrong, but I used to work in a customer-facing role, and having a service-oriented attitude was part of the job. I didn’t receive either a solution or a helpful attitude in this case. The rest of the hotel was nearly perfect in every other aspect, but in that moment of need, they either couldn’t or didn’t want to help me.

Excellent apartment hotel in the outskirts of Arhus! Modernistic and functionally apartments with comfortable beds. Exellent organic breakfast. Hotel does not offer dinner, but several restaurants close by offers takeaway. We tried the JaTak, which offered very good pizzas Hotel has own parking with chargers for El cars

Hotel
Nestled in the southern part of Aarhus, Zleep Hotel Aarhus Skejby offers a modern and functional retreat for travelers. With its industrial-style rooms, this hotel provides a comfortable atmosphere perfect for both business and leisure stays. Guests can enjoy amenities like a gym and bar, along with the convenience of free parking—a significant advantage given the often high costs associated with parking in Aarhus.
Nice Hotel. Provides everything you need. I liked the room, the atmosphere and the location. The staff was superb. Extra friendly, extra helpful, really exceptional. I would certainly consider this place again for my next stay.
Fritz B — Google review
Simplicity is king here, very clean, and a smooth digital self-service experience. Great value for money, location is quiet but uninspiring. Plenty of parking spaces. Not a lot of TV channels. Small rooms, but just fine, it's an efficient design. The extra pillow was great, but tough to find - "hidden" room under the coat rack. Nice gym, with the basic stuff and a good cable pull machine - but sadly with no selection of grips - major lost opportunity. The water pressure in the shower is incredible - best ever!
Ole S — Google review
There for business. Close to the office. Quiet at night. Breakfast was very good. Cold except pancakes, omelette, and boiled eggs but good choices for cold food. Staff were all lovely and very helpful. No evening food, but there is a microwave you can use or use Wolt to order. Reception happy to assist. Car park is big. Check in is self service but during reception hours rhe receptionist helps. My room was ok. The bathroom was small vur good, bed nit comfy, only 1 pillow, and I kept forgetting to ask for more. Wall opposite bed was dirty, but I'm not sure if they're still decorating. TV had only 2 working channels. Reception area gas a small gym and a vending machine for soft drinks, crisps, chocolate, and haribos. There is a bar and you can get hot drinks. Spacious to go work or sit out of your room. Location is next to the tram line. It's dog friendly and seems wheelchair friendly, but I did not see inside the accessible room they offer. Only took photo of closed reception are worth posting 🤪

Cheap hotel for a few nights. A bit out of the way. Car or tram to get around. Although that was fine for me. Slight negative was the floor to ceiling shower curtain and the extractor inside the shower. It made it impossible to have a shower with the curtain closed.
Daniel P — Google review
The most plus points this hotel receives due to the free parking (and there are enough) and due to the hotel being close to the tram that takes you to the city centre. The breakfast is a bit on the expensive side especially considering the variety. Otherwise the rooms are in typical Scandinavian style (which I love). It just a very nice, simple hotel that meets all the criteria I have for a hotel. A plus would be AC in the room (but the three times I have been there in summer it has never been warm in Denmark😅 🌧️ ) and a minifridge. Otherwise it of course is my preferred hotel because I always come by car 🚙.

Super clean, comfy bed, functional bathroom, near the hospital. Bar and outside seating. Breakfast buffet DIY but OK , unlimited machine coffee. For its type most acceptable.
Linda F — Google review
Very comfy, clean and modern hotel for reasonable money. Rooms are new and well equipped. Spacious. There is both reception as well as automatic check-in. Breakfasts delicious. There is a gym with new machines so one can workout. Lots of parking spaces (free) very good place to stay in Århus
Paweł S — Google review
Very convenient and easy place to stay. Quick and easy check in, comfortable rooms and OK breakfast (although in a more simple style). Had to extend my stay with one day which was taken care of very easily and swiftly. Good value for money. Plenty of free parking and quite a lot of Clever charge stations for electric cars. Highly recommended.

Hotel
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Aarhus, Radisson RED Aarhus is a modern haven that perfectly blends style and comfort. This contemporary hotel boasts airy accommodations along with a trendy restaurant and bar, making it an ideal spot for both relaxation and socializing. Guests can kickstart their day with a delicious breakfast before exploring nearby attractions like The Well of Pigs and Your Rainbow Panorama Museum, all just a leisurely stroll away.
We have stayed twice with Radisson RED Aarhus and both times it has been fantastic. The staff are friendly and helpful when we needed advice. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Location is perfect for a stay in Aarhus. Quiet and relaxing environment. I particularly enjoyed having a view over the road which was great to watch passing cars at night and get lost in the city break. Hope to come back again soon! ♥️
Patrick D — Google review
Very central location and the room was very spacious and clean. We stayed in junior suite with panoramic view and couldn’t be happier with the room. The housekeeping staff was also very nice and attentive. The facilities and services however, were almost non existent. It’s unbelievable that a 4 star hotel only had one person at the reception and had no proper restaurant that opens during normal business hours. I’m glad we didn’t include breakfast, as the breakfast didn’t look very appealing. The arcade machine was broken for the entire stay and the lift was small and worn out. While I understand that this hotel would appeal to some, to me it tries too hard to be edgy and as a result is that it looks tacky. At least maintain and clean the equipment in the lobby properly if that’s the look they’re going for. Overall it was an okay stay. Great room and location, but the rest is forgettable.
Theresa — Google review
I stayed one night at Radisson RED Aarhus. The hotel looks great – modern décor and nicely designed rooms. The staff was very friendly and attentive, which I really appreciated. Breakfast was decent but nothing special. The gym is very small and poorly equipped, it feels like it was added just to tick a box. The room rate is high, but that’s in line with prices in Denmark. The only thing that really bothered me was the smell of the towels – even though the material was good quality, the odor was unpleasant and noticeable, including the ones in the gym. Overall, it’s a stylish and modern hotel, but with details that could be improved to better justify the price.

Horrible service and child policy - avoid of travelling with baby or todlers. Despite advertising free cod for children below 4, staff insist on tis only being in a suite and not superior rooms despite there being plebty of space. When called i was met with an incompetent and rude “service” agent whom sounded like an indian AI bot. Avoid

the doors of the rooms are slamming like sn earthquake! it’s a reason not to book this expensive (cheap build) hotel. you can manage these doors not to slam (mechanical setting of oil compression due to temperature) they don’t care. house tec needed.
André S — Google review
Catastrophic hygiene, worst hotel I’ve ever been to in Europe. I've never experienced anything like that in a European hotel. I had 3 different rooms and all were dirty, hairs everywhere, pieces of bugs, dust. My home is cleaner after 1 week no cleaning than these rooms.
Marvin G — Google review
Near the center where most of the attractions are, good service, friendly staff, fresh ice cold water and apples in the lobby. The room also had all the necessary things
Tahoura H — Google review
We had a good stay but the breakfast was very disappointing, the soap dispenser in the room was empty at arrival, the AC in the room could not be adjusted, and the mirror light was broken.

Nestled in the heart of Aarhus, SOFS Boutique Hotel offers a charming and cozy retreat that feels like visiting a beloved grandparent's home. This eco-friendly gem is not only Green Globe certified but also boasts the Gold Organic Eating Label, making it a perfect choice for environmentally conscious travelers. Guests can enjoy comfortable accommodations, some featuring delightful 4-poster beds, along with access to a lovely courtyard garden and rooftop terrace for stunning views.
Rooms were rather small with shared wc. Not so good ventilation. Breakfast wasn't that good either. Great location, right in the center lots of restaurants around.
Shoaib K — Google review
Tucked away in the quirky Latin Quarter of Aarhus is this peaceful and quaint boutique hotel. It’s set in a tall terrace building, with lots Of charm. The rooms are very comfortable but missing a few things like a kettle, small fridge etc, but this aside all good. Highly recommend booking the ‘larger’ rooms. Bathrooms are very compact and the hotel doesn’t have an elevator.
Steven H — Google review
Not sure what I can compare this with. The hotel itself is clean and in a good location, near the centre. The rooms are also clean and I found the bed comfortable. There was sufficient heating which I could turn up or down and overall I felt pleasant in the room. However, I picked their most expensive room and with that in mind I am not sure how the rest of the rooms are. The decor is old fashioned and rustic, the furniture feels cheap and is worn out and the bathroom ( which was very clean ) was a cheap addition to the room. I have read in other reviews that some rooms don't even have private bathrooms so I guess I am happy for that. I didn't try the breakfast. It looked nice, with things from a local bakery just down the road which I did visit and everything I had there was nice. However, the selection in the breakfast seemed a bit small. The biggest win of the hotel was it's service. I arrived late at night and had to call someone to let me in, who picked up immediately and was very helpful. The ladies in the reception I met every morning were kind and super helpful. Everyone would do their absolute best to make me feel comfortable and welcomed which to me is a great win. The bed was made every day and it felt like someone would make sure the room is clean, although I didn't leave any mess behind. Overall, for what it costs and what you get, and taking into consideration how expensive everything else around it is, id say it's a good deal if you are staying in Aarhus for a couple of days and you are on a budget. If you're looking for a nicer room and modern amenities, you'd have to go somewhere else.

Very cosy and nice place in the center of Aarhus. Great breakfast. Stayed in the Annex building with toilet and shower in the corridor. Not for me so will try to get a room in the main building next time. A place that you want to return to.

Your reception has some racist issues. As a people of color, I experienced a very bad check out and received totally different treatment compared to the american colleagues. My colleagues who are also people of color and russian had to pay on spot and put their creditcard info even though we all arranged that our company would pay for the trip. Meanwhile the american colleague who went thru the same arrangement had zero problem checking out. Never staying at this place
Meea010 — Google review
The staff here is very friendly and the breakfast is quite nice. Stayed there twice. First time there was a lot of noise from the street. Second time I had a room at the upmost floor, but had a lot of noise from the fan in the toilet. The rooms were nice, but quite small as was the bathroom. No desk in any of the rooms. Very centrally located, and especially in the summer I would consider it again once in a while, but generally I consider the prices too high compared to what you get and the place too noisy.
Thomas Z — Google review
Currently sitting on our tiny double bed in a closet with exam room lighting. I really cant believe we paid over 2475dk/3600sek for 2 nights. Never mind breakfast is an additional 150dk each. The photos, the description are misleading at best. It's a DIY and DIY is rarely executed with talent. This is one if those examples. Cracked walls, miss matching lamps, kitchen counter shelving. The decore is cheap and unimaginative. Can barely squeeze into the shower. Ooen wires on the spot lights on the headboard. I am very tempted to check out tomorrow and head to the first airbnb available. This was supposed to be a treat. I always say it doesn't really matter where we stay we are only there to sleep.
Kimberly W — Google review
Rooms aren't cozy, they are small, quirky, noisy from vents and curtains are falling down. Breakfast is ridiculous, and yet expensive. This is a hoax, find another place.
