Kruisherenhotel Maastricht is a five-star design hotel located in the heart of Maastricht's historic center, housed within a former 15th-century monastery. The hotel features sleek rooms and suites that are spread across various buildings on the property, each with its own unique design. Original elements such as exposed stone walls and arched passageways add to the historical charm of the hotel.
As a Marriott elite member who has had the pleasure of staying at both 4-star and 5-star Marriott, I highly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers seeking a unique and memorable experience. The hotel's architecture is truly a marvel, seamlessly blending the historic charm of a 15th-century abbey and Gothic-style church with modern design elements. The attention to detail in the restoration and interpretation of the original structures is commendable, creating an atmosphere that is both timeless and contemporary. This hotel is a must-visit for Marriott elite members looking for a one-of-a-kind property that offers a harmonious blend of history and modern luxury.

The entrance, lobby, and exterior are all stunning. Staff and service are generally deserving of the 5 star categorization. Unfortunately the rooms are less impressive- my “queen bed” was just two twin beds pushed together: each with its own sheets and duvet. Not only was there an annoying gap in the middle, the covers were each too small. The soundproofing is also lacking- the dance music from outside kept me awake past midnight through the (admittedly old) windows and blinds- it was inaudible in the lobby, but the room windows weren’t sealed nearly as well.
Michael — Google review
We absolutely loved our stay! The hotel was stunning, and staying in a former monastery made it one of the most unique and fun experiences we’ve ever had. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was hands down the best we’ve had at any hotel!
Tyler — Google review
The staff is wonderful. They are helpful, friendly and just amazing. The room, not one we enjoyed. No luggage stand made accessing our suitcase rathe difficult. Tile floors could really use some area rugs around the bed because they were very cold. I admire art but the nightstands attached to the bed were only 4 inches off the floor. I'm sure the person who designed it never used it. The ants in our bathroom and the clogged shower drain that flooded the floor and under the sink were taken care of quickly thanks to the fast response of staff. We know this was an old monastery, and the care taken to preserve the original decor is admirable, but a little more warmth in the "cloisters" would be nice.
Sharon E — Google review
Service was excellent and location is very close to centre of Maastricht. Rooms, however, are disappointing unless you like your bathroom in your bedroom- a lot of pods inside a former church building with no views
Grant D — Google review
We stayed here for a couple of days and it was definitely an experience. How many times have you stayed in a 5 star hotel which was originally a 1500 century church?! Anyway beautifully renovated and restored. The service was extremely professional and friendly. Really very nice. We had a 39 euro breakfast which was fine but was it really worth $50 USD per person? The service was excellent and warm but the selection in the buffet limited as it’s a small hotel. Fruits and vegetables as in all of the Netherlands limited. But you will realize in Maastricht that dining options in the AM are extremely limited so give it a go. There are also limited amenities ie spa or gym or rooftop or gardens because in the end it’s a hotel in a 1500 century church. It’s also set up the hill from town and railroad station so just be aware. The reality on why I gave it four stars is that my room on the ground floor was right on the street. So immediately that mean closing all the blinds and therefore no light in the room. Also there street noise from people talking and driving but it’s a quiet town so not horrible but it’s there and we had to keep the windows closed. I asked to see another room but they said my room was already an upgrade. When I saw or tried to see another room on the second floor it required a climb up a ladder or what they would call stairs Would I recommend to you to stay there? That’s for you to decide. I liked it and enjoyed the experience but would look elsewhere if I came back
David V — Google review
Was just part of a pre-wedding reception here. Totally enjoyed the atmosphere, and the staff were just super capable and welcoming. Loved the local accordionist.
Janko M — Google review
This hotel is a scam. Do not use it under any circumstances. I made a reservation through the hotel's website with a free cancellation plan and canceled it, yet I was charged nearly 400 euros on my credit card. I called twice, but there has been no response or action. It has been about two weeks with no follow-up. I am considering reporting this to the police and my credit card company. Everyone, please be careful.

Novotel Maastricht is located in the city centre and offers a restaurant, sleek bar and outdoor pool. It is perfect for guests who want a laid-back hotel with all the amenities they need.
My spouse and i stayed a night along with my child in the double bed with sofa bed. The room was comfortable, spacious and we had a great stay. The staff were very helpful. They had a wide range of breakfast options and it was good. The room was quiet. I loved that the toilet was set apart from the bath, so someone could be using the toilet and another having a bath. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we look forward to visiting again.
Of_ A — Google review
Good Novotel, conveniently located. Decent public transportation options, and a large parking lot. Easy to access from the highway, and the city center is only a 5 minute drive. Definitely worth a visit. Nice outdoor pool, surrounded by a garden. Staff is friendly and welcoming. A good visit.
Ivo E — Google review
I found the room and spaces very clean, the staff were attentive and the new staff they were training were doing so well. This didn't hinder or slow the service at all, great experience all round. The pool was so enjoyable, it being surrounded by trees and plants was special and calming. Like a tropical getaway but close by a lovely city. The food was outstanding- that dinner chef is really talented. I loved that there was free chilled drinking water refill station. I had requested when I booked that there be decaff coffee in the room and it was fulfilled which was a lovely touch. Also I really appreciated there being recycle and trash bins along the hall way on every floor. Oh and the complimentary Prosecco for booking a table ahead of time was a really winning touch.

Nice place to stay with family. What I like the most are very comfortable mattress for a really good sleep and small fridge, so I could buy some dutch cheese to bring with me to another country. Also such a lovely smell near reception ( I would like to know what it is 🤩). We thought it’s a bit closer to town centre, but anyway 25 minutes walking distance was alright. Big choice of food for breakfast. Fresh bread was really good! And it was unusual to have corn for morning food:)
Irina Z — Google review
Perfect comfortable beds, centre of Maastricht is only 30 minutes on foot. Breakfast buffet offers many different fresh options and choice of fresh omelette or fried eggs. Reception was really helpful and provided some tips on directions to the city center.
Rick W — Google review
We had a good experience! Staff was friendly and we were able to store our race bikes in the luggage room. Due to our loyalty status we got a room upgrade which was nice. The pool is a good addition although the amount of lounge chairs is a bit limited.
WB88 — Google review
The lobby is spacious and has some board games which are quite good for children. Has a small play room for children. Breakfast is good. Quadruple room is really small, I can't even find space to open my 4 suitcases. Too pricy for the remote location, you have to walk for about 20 mins to central station, 35 mins to city center.
Leo H — Google review
The hotel itself is okay, with decent rooms. However, we were surprised to find that many asylum seekers seemed to be staying here long-term. Unfortunately, my wife received uncomfortable remarks and did not feel safe during our stay. Because of this, I cannot recommend this hotel.

NH Maastricht is a casual hotel located in a pleasant area of Maastricht, just a few minutes away from the historic Basilica of Lady. The hotel offers spacious and comfortable rooms, two restaurants serving international cuisine, a bar, and a spa with a hammam. Guests can also make use of the gym and enjoy free Wi-Fi during their stay. The property is conveniently situated near the Maastricht Exhibition and Congress Centre as well as the European Fine Art Fair.
Had a really great stay at the NH Maastricht. The room was spacious, clean and super quiet. Even though the hotel was fully booked, I didn’t hear a thing. The bar downstairs had a great vibe, much nicer than in many other hotels where it feels empty or dull. The gym and sauna are a big plus. Breakfast was amazing, with plenty of options, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!
Dennis D — Google review
We stayed for one night and found the room to be comfortable. As we stayed with 3 adults the additional bed was a fold up bed and not overly comfortable. The staff at the front desk are very helpful and friendly, however not overly attentive at breakfast, as you could order off the menu but no staff seemed to be around. Walking distance into central Maastricht was about 30 minutes walk so we stayed in town all day and walked home after dinner. Overall the stay was good.
Oliver H — Google review
I had a great stay at NH Hotel Maastricht. The service was very professional and well-organised throughout. The hotel offers many amenities, making the stay both convenient and comfortable. The rooms are large, spotless, and well soundproofed, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. Overall, a very pleasant and reliable choice.
Helen — Google review
Usual 2 star European hotel. Nothing special except location. Rooms are Victorian style geriatric ward type. Nothing to write a letter home about. Nice people work there. Location is what is important and they cash on it as they are pretty expensive more than 250 Euros per night is. But high for the room and breakfast.
Rehab D — Google review
Came for a 1 night business stay. I have never seen such incompetent staff at the reception. They could not produce a final invoice for checkout. I will avoid this place from now on. Update: and the story is not over yet. As I need a proper invoice for my claiming process, the hotel still refers me back to AMEX that in turn sends me to the hotel. What is wrong with your most basic process?
A. D — Google review
Stay at the NH Hotel during my trips to Maastricht and it's always a pleasure. Easy and quick check in. Special thanks to Maxime and Chloe for their friendliness and professionalism. Rooms are always clean with comfortable beds. Good location to the city.

mussels are great, the services are good too. It iwould be much better if each person has a plate to eat fries and salad. How can 4 people share a bowl of salad or fries without a plate. Thanks

I stayed at NH Maastricht Hotel in September 2024 while attending the MIF (Mint and Print International Fair) exhibition for banknotes and coins, and I had a wonderful experience. The hotel was clean, quiet, and very comfortable, offering exactly what I needed during a busy four-day event. The reception staff were especially supportive and helpful always welcoming and ready to assist with anything, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Its location is ideal, especially for those attending events or exhibitions nearby. Everything was convenient and easy to reach. After long days at the MIF exhibition, it was a pleasure to come back to a calm and well run hotel. Overall, I truly enjoyed both the MIF 2024 exhibition and my stay at NH Maastricht Hotel. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Maastricht for either business or leisure.

Crowne Plaza Maastricht, an IHG Hotel, is a refined establishment with a riverside terrace and stunning views of the Maas River and St Servaas Bridge. The hotel offers two restaurants, a cocktail lounge, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Its central location provides easy access to exclusive boutiques on Hoogbrugstraat and Rechstraat.
Great location, away from the noisy center. Amazing view if you get a front side room. Clean and spacious. Very kind and helpful personnel at the front desk. You can also park at the main 1992 parking lot which is the same with the one that hotel offers and costs 17 euros per day.
Vasilis M — Google review
Couldn’t ask for a better location. We enjoyed our room, the facilities of the hotel, and the bathroom was particularly large for the area. Additionally, we had a lovely time at breakfast (no it’s not complimentary but it is worth the price) but coming back after a long day exploring the city to a lovely hotel bar and bartender was always a joy.
Samuel Y — Google review
The Hotel Has an amazing location. The rooms were OK despite a lot of rooms are old. The problem with this Hotel is the noise. Noise could be from outside from some guys getting drunk especially in the weekend, or could be from construction that the hotel makes. so if you checked in at the morning and if you are tired you’ll get the lovely noise surprise when you get on the bed. other than that, the staff are lovely and nice.
Turki J — Google review
Disappointing rooms for the price of the hotel. The positives: The staff were very friendly and the lobby was great (it felt like it was redone recently) Our room also had a lovely view of the river. Fantastic location. Convenient parking. The negatives: The furniture is quite dated (not high quality to start) and the couches were stained; The rooms are not well insulated against sound (could hear various neighbours); The bathrooms come with minimal amenities (but I do note they were clean); and The pillows only came in one type which I found personally really uncomfortable (higher end hotels generally come with two types of pillows, it was a bit late in the evening when we got back so I didn't manage to ask reception if they had options). Generally, for the price point and marketing - expected a higher standard of quality and care to the rooms themselves, which desperately need a revamp and facelift.
Gerald W — Google review
We were disappointed with our experience at Crowne Plaza , where we waited 35 minutes for 3 cocktails and a coffee—an excessive delay for a service we expected to be prompt and efficient, especially in such a high-end setting. The staff apologized, citing a shift change, but this explanation doesn’t justify the significant inconvenience. While the cocktails were excellent in taste and presentation, the long wait left a negative impression. We would have appreciated a gesture of goodwill, such as a discount or a complimentary item, to address the issue and show commitment to customer satisfaction. It’s a shame, as the quality of the drinks could have made for an outstanding experience, but the service fell short.
Emanuel G — Google review
Great quiet location close to all the attractions and the train station. Nice staff. But quite a dilapidated hotel with very old school rooms that require desperate renovations. on a peak summer day, they charge 200-300€ per night which is way too high for what you get back. There is a gym but super tiny. Nice breakfast spread tho.
Gokul S — Google review
The services at the hotel is the best I have experienced. from the moment I checked in to leave. Everyone is so professional and yet friendly. Gemma at the restaurant is amazing. Feel like being taking care of by a big sister. Can’t wait to come back and stay here again. Thank you.
Kelly C — Google review
Location is amazing. Rooms are very outdated, air con broken on, bath and shower were dirty, dirt and stains in multiple places in the room. Breakfast was undercooked every morning. Location is the only plus.

Boutique Hotel Grote Gracht is a charming accommodation in Maastricht, consisting of two hotels: Grote Gracht and Sint Jacob. The interior design appeals to enthusiasts with its antique furnishings and cozy ambiance. The hotel's prime location near Vrijthof square and the river Maas makes it an ideal choice for travelers. Additionally, the property offers allergy-free rooms and a private garden for guests to enjoy.
We were very satisfied with the room! It was fully equipped, air-conditioned, the beds were extremely comfortable, and everything was clean and tidy. The staff were very kind, helpful, and friendly, and they spoke English very well. During our stay, they came to clean and refreshed everything we needed. The central location of the accommodation also added a lot to the experience. It was a pleasure to stay here – we can definitely recommend it! Heel erg bedankt, Martin en Lili – we komen binnenkort terug!
Sándor M — Google review
The location of this hotel was just perfect, right in the middle of the city. The room was clean and tidy, although there were a couple of maintenance issues, which really should have been addressed long ago. I would stay there again, due the hotel's location and affordability.
Alice G — Google review
Although the location was excellent, the rooms really don't live up to the price. There was a continuous sound of a water pump or something. Also there was paint getting of the wall in the bathroom. The bathroom was equiped with a glass wall. All romantic when your there as a couple but not so if you are there as parent/kid or just 2 friends. Getting dressed or washed naked before them is not ideal
Sergio P — Google review
Friendly personnel, a very good service, the rooms and breakfast were also very good. The location: middle of the town but the yard (5 stars) is very beautiful and quite. Thanks for all the staff during our stay. We will be back. Judith, Monika and Gabi and our dog Svenny.
Judith W — Google review
Very pleasant service, clean rooms and a lovely courtyard. Dog friendly. Only downside - the local car park (Q park) came to around €40 per one night
Gosia R — Google review
I would give fewer stars if it was possible. The only good thing is the location that we had to reserve because of a concert which we wanted to go in the nearby area. 1. The whole hotel is extremely old and outdated. 2. The steps to the stairs are too steep and the dark carpet and dim light make it challenging to climb the stairs up or down. The wooden stairs are unstable and you have the feeling that they will fall apart. 3. The room is very small. Has nothing but a safe and small coffee machine in it. No refrigerator. No bottled water. Dirty. The walls are dirty. 3. The beds are outdated, old and full of scratches. Come on! At least change those beds. 4. Why on earth would some one pay almost 300 euros for such an accommodation? 5. I did not book breakfast as it was extremely overpriced. 6. We parked our car in a parking lot recommended by the hotel which was 10 minutes away. The hotel gave us a Reduction code which was good. 7. Overall, I was not satisfied with my stay at all. Not recommended.
Samad G — Google review
Hotel did not live up to expectations. Rooms were moderately maintained. The wall of the bed was worn, stains on the walls, old dirty mirror and old cabinet. In short, room maintenance was poor and outdated. It was clearly in need of renovation. The rooms look good in the photos but in reality it was not so. The €197 for just one night was definitely not worth it for me.
Hidde H — Google review
Although we sadly only managed to spend one night here, our stay was everything we expected it to be. Thanks to its central position, the hotel is easily accessible from the train station and allows for a romantic late-night walk through the city center, after which you can reward yourself with a nice warm bath (bathtubs in the rooms are an awesome touch to complete the super cozy vibe of the hotel). Personnel very friendly. 10/10 would recommend for a romantic getaway with your significant other.

6Boutique Hotel Sint Jacob

Hotel
Boutique Hotel Sint Jacob is a refined and elegant accommodation located in the heart of Maastricht. The hotel offers beautifully furnished rooms with antiques, a courtyard garden, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Guests can enjoy a friendly and welcoming atmosphere with spacious rooms and an excellent breakfast.
My stay at Boutique Hotel Sint Jacob was a pleasant experience overall, though there are areas that could be improved. The self-check-in via iPad went smoothly, but clearer signage would make it easier for guests to find. Keeping the reception area open at all times or making the courtyard more accessible could also help. As someone with a design background, I appreciated the preserved staircase, wooden beams, and beautiful floors. However, the landings on each floor felt a bit dark, adding mirrors or more lamps could brighten them up. The bathrooms are a good size, but the showers are very small. The breakfast staff member was warm and talkative, which I really valued, and the coffee was excellent. The back courtyard is lovely, though doors opening directly onto it would make it even more inviting. Soft background music during breakfast or in the courtyard would add to the atmosphere. Guest rooms could benefit from carpets to absorb sound, and the TVs are quite small though with so much to do nearby, that’s hardly an issue. I also think offering bicycles at the hotel would be a great addition for guests wanting to explore. You are walking distance to mostly everything. I was pleased to see that cleanliness seems to have improved compared to some older reviews: there was no dust in cupboards, under the bed, or on surfaces. Finally, the location is fantastic just a short walk from great restaurants and shops. With a few small updates, this hotel could be truly exceptional. Will be back
Jacob B — Google review
They booked us into a different room with an open shower even though we said we were colleagues. They didn’t want to put us in different rooms, only if we paid extra even though we asked beforehand if the bathroom was closed off. We complained about it and should get a refund, but so far we still have reveived €0.
Iris — Google review
Unfortunately, we were so disappointed with the rooms in the hotel that we left again. We had room number 2 and this room was already very run down. This hotel does not meet the expectations of a 4 star hotel. For €130 per person, we would have expected a room that wasn't broken at every turn. We can't say anything about breakfast as we checked out again shortly after check-in and left.
Lisa M — Google review
This hotel is not worth the classification it get. Rooms were not clean. Mould all over. Bathroom was Disgusting. Television did not work. No staff, everything is done digital. Didnt feel safe. Breakfast is ok ish but the food smell when you walk in stayed in your clothes all dat due to that they are preparing breakfast in the room and the exctraction hood not on/ not working. Monday breakfast bread and crossaint were at least 1 day old whilst the super market is 1 minute walk away.
Roell & — Google review
Positive: great location Negative: I was in hotel room 3, which is very outdated and has molded windows. The room was otherwise relatively clean. Asked staff for iron board which they didnt have: this is quite basic i think.
Mahdi S — Google review
I first read the reviews after I already booked the room so I was a little scared that the room might be dirty but I was positively surprised and I can't agree with any of the bad reviews. The room we stayed in was on the third floor and it was cozy and clean, the only improvement would be some kind of protective window screen for the bathroom to feel a little more comfortable. The host is really friendly and the reception was easy to find (contrary to what some people said in other reviews for some reason) and we got a regular key card for the room and hotel door so everything was perfectly fine. It's a small hotel so there's no elevator but that shouldn't be a problem for most people. They're also dog friendly which is great. All in all I was very content with my stay!
Lu — Google review
Room had a lived in feel, but I love that personally. John at breakfast was a warm and welcomed presence which added to the charm of the property. We loved our stay and would definitely come back. Location was great!
Megan S — Google review
I do not normally write bad reviews but because the hotel does not even react to our email, I need to warn other travelers. The room was so FILTHY that we did not feel safe staying there. There was dirt everywhere, many dead insects and insect excrement, black stuff (probably mold) and a lot of dust. We left and luckily found a room in a different hotel nearby. We left and emailed the hotel (there is no front desk and no staff to talk to at the hotel) and got zero response (and also no refund). Stay away!

B&B le Rêve Maastricht is a charming countryside retreat just a short drive from Maastricht and Valkenburg. The friendly owners, Karin and Frank, ensure a warm welcome and comfortable stay in their old farmhouse. Guests can enjoy airy rooms, delicious breakfasts, and a lovely terrace with picturesque views of the Limburg countryside.
OK, I'll do this in English so this review will reach more people. First of all : this B&B is unbeatable as to price/quality. The rooms are very tastefully/artistically decorated, host and hostess are more than friendly, breakfast is very copious and diverse, and I could go on. Is this place perfect ? No, you do not get marble floors and golden taps. I have read a few of the disgruntled comments on this site and the only thing I can say is : these people should go to a 5* place ( and still be dissatisfied, probably ). For me this was the perfect place : beautiful setting, strategically located if you want to explore the region, etc. etc. And for the unsatisfied : als je op élk slakje zout legt, blijf daar dan weg. En ga ergens anders moeilijk doen. Wíj komen zeker terug !

We were truly looking forward to Le rêve as we read all positive reviews. Indeed the venue is fantastic as located at a great site. The building is alike but we miss qualitative finish. The rooms are OK (we stayed in the dream loft) but the open toilet and the 'do it yourself' level in the rooms are what's bothering me. Next thing we were looking forward to is the breakfast. It was OK, but the legendary 'eggs baked in bacon' we didn't see nor any bubble... The coffee is simply bad. In all its a nice location but I have the feeling the owners are a little tired of receiving people. When arriving we simply didn't get any info and went up to the room. This is OK for me but at least I want to know what the breakfast hours are and how the open bar works. Pity to say that we well not get back, despite the great location.

(Translated by Google) A great place to stay with very friendly hosts. If you like beautifully restored old buildings, then this is a good place. For the few guests, the owner regularly offers the opportunity to cook for them – a wonderful experience. The area is lovely, and the distance to the city is manageable. However, those who only prefer new accommodations designed purely for functionality might not be happy here. Everyone else will probably love it.

(Translated by Google) We've been coming to Karin and Frank's Le Réve for André Rieu's concerts in the summer for four years now. We felt very at home from the very first day. The location just outside Maastricht is fantastic! The old farmhouse and its rooms are lovingly restored and decorated. You'll find peace and quiet in the garden and in the rooms as well. The fact that the rooms don't have a TV might seem strange to some, but it's a unique place where you can focus on yourself and your surroundings. Karin and Frank are very open and friendly; you feel like part of the family. They have a special way of entertaining their guests, especially with their food, which is very rare! Sitting and chatting with the other guests is a special treat. Sitting in the restaurant with some wine or beer on a summer evening after a concert in Maastricht is even more so. For us, Le Rêve is a place we long for. Thank you, Karin and Frank! See you soon! Kaboom Hotel in Maastricht is a vibrant and affordable accommodation option with 79 eclectic guest rooms designed for budget travelers. Despite its cost-effective nature, the hotel maintains high-quality service and a warm, welcoming hospitality. Each room is equipped with essential amenities and can accommodate one to four guests on comfortable hypoallergenic beds. The hotel features modern rooms, a fusion restaurant, a cozy cafe, and a garden patio with direct access to an adjacent coffeehouse and restaurant.
Surely the best aspect of my stay in Maastricht. The emplacement is perfect, just in front of the train station. The room is really clean, the breakfast buffet is good and with a lot of choice. I would have loved tasting more local dish tho. Beyond this hotel is such a good place. Moreover there are a lot of free features that makes your stay even more pleasent (water, candies, luggage storage…)

We loved our quirky, friendly, fun stay just across the road from the railway station and walking distance into the city centre. Our Basic Urban room was clean, service was friendly, and we enjoyed the use of the outside patio area. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure and temperature were great. We liked being able to choose our room at check in, although a map of the locations of the available rooms would have been helpful to help us decide. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised at every detail of our 2 night stay at Kaboom!

Lack of wardrobe or drawers for clothes. Safe didn't work and although reported it it wasn't fixed had to use hotel safe so not so convenient. Big step up to bathroom. That said, if you don't mind living out of a suitcase, very convenient location for the Andre Rieu concert we were attending. Anton was particularly helpful and friendly.

Loved this hotel for my recent stay in Maastricht. The location is great and hugely convenient especially if you arrive by public transport. Staff were super friendly and the hotel benefits from an enclosed private outdoor terrace. Despite this being very central, it was quiet during the night. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay. Communication from the hotel is top of the line. Reception is easy and very accommodating. Hotels great for getting a great night of sleep. Close to all the sights to see in the city.

A fantastic place to stay, the service is absolutely outstanding. Rooms are very comfortable and welcome water in the room was great. As we were there for Andre Rieu concert we even got beers in our room. When we got back from the concert, we were welcome with champagne and snacks
Janine D — Google review
O booked this hotel as part of an Andre Rieu concert package. It was one of the cheaper hotels so didn’t expect too much. I was pleasantly surprised. It is modern and feels quite new. The rooms are very modern and a bit whacky but they are practical. The room was basic - no furniture apart from beds, a desk and bedside stools. There is no wardrobe but there is a shelf and rail hanging from the ceiling to hang a few things up. There is a large screen TV with 2 english language news channels. The bathroom is very good with rain shower and hand shower. The wash basin is in the bedroom. The beds were very comfortable with good quality bedding. Best of all the rooms have air conditioning - essentail these days with all hot days. There is some street noise lat a night and early morning for emptying bins and street cleaning but this is a city centre hotel so nothing unexpected. Breakfast was a good selection of cold food in a pleasant dining room. Location is quite central Right across the road from the railway station. There are bars and restaurants nearby. Walk a little further, cross the river and you are in the main part of the vity in less than 10 minutes. Vrijhof is less than 20 minutes without hurrying. All in all I was very satisfied with this friendly welcoming hotel.

Good location, room clean and with a good size, convenient parking nearby, a bit expensive however. You can book this parking in advance with discount throughout kaboom website, do it or the discount offer won't be available when you arrive

Excellent hotel, centrally located in the heart of Maastricht. We took the train from Amsterdam, once in Maastricht it was an 15 minute walk to the hotel from the train station. Room was clean, service, breakfast was excellent. For summer visitors, note that not all rooms come with AC, ours didn't, but with a fan, and the shades down throughout the day is was manageable. Nothing but great things to say about our stay at the Hotel Au Quartier this weekend. From my initial phone call to request a room for 3 adults, to our warm greeting at check-in to our final check out we received the warmest of customer service. The parking was just around the corner, and the room and apartment had just recently been renovated to a very high degree, and the location was very central. Would 100% recommend this Hotel to anyone looking for unique stay in Maastricht.

Last weekend I was in Maastricht working as a Head Judge for HYROX. After a 17h shift, I asked at reception if they could warm up some small cups of food. Not only did the receptionist agree, he beautifully plated everything and served it on a tray, such a kind gesture after such a long day. I also mentioned to another colleague that my breakfast box had some mistakes that morning, he immediately checked, noticed it was still incorrect, and took note to make sure I’d have the right one for 6am. The next morning, for my surprise, my breakfast box was not only corrected but even better than I could have prepared myself! With extra touches and the sweetest note wishing me an amazing day and a “Bismillah!” written on it.. That thoughtfulness truly made my morning, gave me the energy to push through on little sleep, and left me so grateful. Thank you to the whole team for such heartfelt service and care. Mashallah TabarakAllah!🤍

The bed was amazing but the structure of the room was weird. You have the WC separated from the sink and in order to wash your hands you had go to the other room and light whoever was in bed. The door of the WC was a piece of glass that did not closed propertly. Breakfast was expensive and crowded. I enjoyed the place but expected way more than this

Dormio Resort Maastricht is a unique holiday destination nestled on top of the Dousberg, just a short cycle ride from the famous Vrijthof. The penthouse boasts three spacious bedrooms and luxurious amenities including bubble bath, sauna, and steam shower. Additionally, guests can enjoy a barbecue and terrace heater.
Nice resort, lots of cool houses in a nice neighbourhood. Everything was clean. There's a cute little town centre with some restaurants and kid entertainment. There's a lovely swimming pool with a big slide but it could be deeper. Our house had a sauna in it!! Really really cool. Overall it was a lovely experience.
Oscar L — Google review
The room on arrival was really very cold and given the size of the apartment it took a long time to warm it up. The kitchen lacks essentials like oil and salt but much appreciated the cleaning kit that you can take home. Overall good, very large spaces and very good cleanliness. The pool service is very bad. There`s no indoor entrance, no real changing room, the water is very cold. It needs to be revised. If you don`t have a car change location because the only way to get to the center is by cab (not cheap). I haven`t tried the food services. I would have liked to have seen the spa but unfortunately it was full, I`d suggest granting entrance to all guests given the poor pool. Very fast check-in and -out operations but cold and unemotional.

The location is really nice so close to the city so it's all just 10min away by car. The houses are modern and good looking, spacious and full of amenities. Maintenance doesn't get my 5 stars because we noticed some wear and tear. Cleaners missed the ceiling which was full of flies and spiders. Service handled these issues immediately. Kids houses are situated next to a playground which was a hit for our toddler. Swimming pool is okay, not the biggest but good enough. We stayed 2 weeks and time flew by. Really happy with our choice and holiday here! All in all some room for improvement (for a so called luxury resort) but I'd recommend it.
Stef C — Google review
This is a magical accommodation resort in the heart of Maastricht. It offers everything you could want from a holiday. It's nestled in the heart of nature, with tranquil and comfortable homes. The homes are spotlessly clean and well-furnished. The garden is a wonderful place to spend time. Daily necessities are available at the on-site mini market. There are fun parks for children and the Mio Play Adventure. This is definitely a fun resort, especially for a family holiday. We also rented an e-bike from the on-site bike shop and spent the entire day riding around. We highly recommend it to everyone. There's also a thermal spa on site, and discounts are available for those staying overnight. We stayed for three days, but it's a great place, especially for longer stays. The only thing missing from the property was a washing machine and hairdryer. We had one. For those who prefer to do their laundry, there's a washing machine in the common area for a fee. We absolutely loved this place. We plan to stay here every time we come to Maastricht from now on. Hope to see you soon!

We booked a 2 bedroom comfort apartment for 2 nights in July. When we arrived the apartment was very warm and not really that clean, lots of dust and the smell was not that great. We know that apartments with a high turn over of people are never perfect so could handle some of the above but the worst were the ANTS, they were all over the living room and kitchen and eventually all over any item we had including food. We went to reception about this problem on the first night and were told all maintenance staff had left for the day so there was nothing they could do until the morning, no ant powder of anything that would deter them or room move. It was a tough time getting any sleep with the heat (no aircon) but worse was the thought of the ants everywhere. by the morning we had decided that our time at Dormio was over and packed up to go and find another hotel. We reported back to reception that we were leaving a day early and they were not too bothered about it to be honest. After we returned home we asked Dormio for a refund of the night we did not use, which we thought was fair and probably should be more due to stress and it ruining the beginning of our holiday but Dormio, even after seeing the videos and pic, have only offered just under half of the cost of one day which is unacceptable. The apartment we had was Comfort Apartment number 8 on the ground floor, please check which apartment you will be getting assigned and reject this one. We would not recommend staying at Dormio Maastricht

Great resort with amazing accommodations. Went for a weekend with my parents, sister & wife and my fiancé. We had a great time with a beautiful view. Highly recommend.
Sven L — Google review
Great resort but has its issues. The house buildings have no air conditioning which is a problem for those expecting it. That means sleeping with windows open during heat, and the resort is very noisy with partying adults and crying children. There seemed to be no enforcement of quiet hours. No toilet paper was a problem, and few towels for those spending more than a night or two. Location made it difficult to get in and out of the city. Uber is almost non-existent, and the cab company takes a long time to get there. Rantree restaurant is excellent. Not technically part of the resort but is high end with amazing service!

My experience (Sept 2025): After 200+ paid nights at this hostel, my remaining balance (about 20 unpaid days) was referred to an external agency. I voluntarily offered to leave some of my valuable belongings; these are now being held while I was referred to an agency that, in my experience, did not respond to multiple emails or calls for days/weeks. That left me without a workable path to settle and reduced my opportunities to pay sooner. My stay was mostly pleasant. However, since the recent ownership change, I experienced the hostel as understaffed, with bathrooms not consistently cleaned and soap/paper towels not consistently refilled, yet it included in everyone’s daily stay price. During longer stays, I sometimes felt that certain staff forgot I was the customer and addressed me in ways that felt neglectful or disrespectful. My room was never offered to be cleaned or bedding sheets changed yet the price would only go up. I have been a loyal and cooperative guest and am still trying to resolve the balance in good faith. Asking me to arrange payment and then not responding reads as unprofessional. Being sent to an agency that, in my experience, did not engage felt like a serious step down for the hostel and its service standards. I hope management reviews the choice of collection partner and addresses staffing/service issues.

Amazing place! The location of the hostel is perfect! It’s a two-minute walk from the train station and you’re easily in the city center of Maastricht (about 10 minutes by foot). I chose a mixed-dorm for the first time and was a little worried at first, but i needn’t be - the bed is in a little pod that’s all your own! you don’t share your sleeping pod with anyone else! It’s very spacious and very cozy! Check-in and out was very quick and easy (you can do it yourself on a tablet in the entrance hall). The staff was nice when I asked if I could store my luggage there for a few hours. Can only recommend this hostel! I will definitely stay there again when traveling to the Netherlands from Germany. 😊

Crumbs, what a place! Spa-like levels of tranquility, as you might expect from a hostel that is also a spa ... Close to the train station, pleasantly designed dorm rooms with space and air, lots of friendly staff, and a delightfully green courtyard. I'd make a detour to pass through here again in the future. Thanks for the pleasant stay!

Hostel-style hotel with some unexpected quirks you might need to get used to. For example there were no towels, even though in my case they were included in the room price, so I had to ask for them at reception. Room was on ground floor, windows opening to the street, so it was quiet loud when ventilating the room. Breakfast was ok, but all vegetarian. Very good muesli/porridge bowls. Reception doubles as a bar, and you can also buy non-alcoholic drinks. Overall ok, but quite expensive for what you get.

Set within a private estate and surrounded by the picturesque Maastricht Marina, this enchanting castle is just 3 kilometers from the vibrant city of Maastricht and conveniently located a mere five-minute drive from the A2 motorway.
This is our very favorite place to stay in Maastricht! We love the suite with shower in the carriage house. It’s always extremely clean. Has a separate toilet room. Large shower. Sitting area with small couch and table for two where you can eat your breakfast. The bed is super comfortable and the room is very sound-proofed. The mini bar includes chocolate, chips, coffee/tea and lots of complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic cold drinks. We always enjoy the delicious picnic basket breakfast that they bring to your room— more than two people can eat! The castle/hotel grounds are beautiful with areas to walk and trails nearby for walks/runs. Highly recommended!

One of my daughters chose this location for her wedding. This location and more importantly the team is awesome. I'm not giving top ratings easily. They deserve it! They are professionals. They take everything out of your hands. They pay exceptional attention to detail. They make everyone feel comfortable while working diligently in the background. I highly recommend Kasteel de Hoogenweerth with its wonderful team for weddings. They make the magic happen!
Herke S — Google review
So to start with, we enjoyed our stay.. but, it was mostly a big laugh. Stayed in the Eve room next to the reception. Initially looks nice but it misses all basic functionality. There's basically no way to shower, there's a bath in the room, if you stand there you splash everything wet in the whole room. Sitting is virtually impossible to shower. Sink does basically leak water into all directions, again wetting the floor. TV is so low you can hardly see half the screen being in the bed. Lights lacking, making a lot of dark corners, or you have to open all the curtains and then everyone can watch into your room, especially since next to the reception. Staff being very friendly if you can find them. It seemed one lovely young girl had to do everything there. So when not at the reception you have to call them, which then makes the phone ring in the reception after being forwarded to a voicemail which asks to leave a message, after that informing the storage is full so it can't save the message. 😂 Anyway. Had a good laugh and stay, thanks for the service but this room needs attention.

Really nice and magic place... I was on wedding in here...

We stayed one night with our dog in this place. Despite problem with late check-in, we had a lovely stay. The room is very clean, the breakfast is great, and the property is located in a secluded area however very close to the city center. It's a great value for the price! We will definitely come back again when we visit Maastricht.

Place is nice but it has no identity related to what it was. No historical reference, it is aplace adapted for weddings mainly. good for young people that go for the party, young and in midd 30. If you plan to go with family , better during the week. PERSONNEL is good, trying to deal with the weddings and guests, not easy. Castle inside with no memory , just a bar for weddings. Rooms are same idea, average modern furniture with a lot of use. OVERALL is a 3 star place.

Fantastic small hotel in a gorgeous setting, in the river bank. Bedroom with bath inside the room, extremely stylish, attention to detail superb. Large double bed was very comfortable, warm Quilt. Surprising that the well stocked mini bar was included in the room rate! Ample breakfast brought to the room in a super cute picnic basket. Car charging point just outside the room, extremely handy. Castle View from the room, though access was prohibited. I would definitely recommend this super stylish hotel to anyone. Just a few km from Maastricht center yet in a world of its own.

I booked this room for two nights in Feb for the begining of April as a base for the day of my wedding day and also our first night together as a couple. We live in Maastricht, but I needed a room to get ready in and a place to take some photographs before heading to the ceremony. We phoned the hotel to ask if this would be alright. We even drove there to see the room and if it will meet our needs. We arranged everything with you in person. With our minds set at peace we went ahead and booked. Then on the day I checked in, the receptionist didn't know anything about what was discussed or arranged before. There was no note made or anything about it being our wedding day and night. I guess I just expected a little more from a hotel of you class and status. You know, that extra personal mile to make your guests feel at ease.

The Iraqi person who works here is a very nice person I hope one day he becomes the owner of this place while the owner is stupid. He doesn’t know how to deal with the customer. I put 1 star to at least that open the eye of the owner to teach him self in how to deal with customers

Amazing place in Maastricht! The staff is super friendly and welcoming, always making sure you’re comfortable. The atmosphere is very chill and sociable perfect for hanging out with friends. Service is on point, and the shishas are top quality with a wide selection of flavors. The lounge itself is clean, stylish, and cozy. Great music, not too loud, just right to enjoy the vibe. Drinks and snacks are also a nice touch! Definitely one of the best spots in town to relax. Highly recommended! 🔥💨

Very nicely located hotel, center Maastricht. Okay service and rooms, nothing crazy, but just okay. At night we had a bit of noise from the outside and the walls are not as thick as you might think. Overall though good experience and cheap pricing.

Very friendly staff, great shisha, and a lovely atmosphere. I highly recommend it

The ambiance is superb. I did not stay at the hotel, I only checked out the hookah lounge. I'm sure I will probably never visit this area of the world again, but if I ever were to, I would definitely revisit Matuchi! Good drinks, vibes, and shisha. Highly recommend.

Hotel Sansa is a charming and cozy accommodation located just a few meters from the central station of Maastricht. Guests have raved about the nice rooms, lovely receptionist, and owner who make them feel right at home. The second-floor rooms offer amazing views over the Main Street, adding to the overall experience. Visitors also appreciate the convenient access to authentic fries, making it a delightful treat after exploring Maastricht.
We stayed for New Year and I gotta say the hotel could not have been better. For the price we paid we got an amazing cozy room in a great location with all the amenities one needs for a night. Not to mention that the staff was really friendly and kind, they even joked a bit with us. I definitely recommend this hotel and I would book a room here again.
Vanessa L — Google review
They changed our double room in check in to a room that was really filthy (used underwear and empty bottles under the bed), had no working heat and had a dirty shared bathroom without a lock. We were lucky that we found a nice hotel last minute and got our money back. Also the stairs leading to the rooms were narrow and dangerous.
Margarita P — Google review
Not for fussy travelers. I had to pass by Maastricht for a day so I booked a room here. Good location, short walkable distance from the station. Room was dim. Hotel had steep narrow stairs. The floors were a bit dusty. The building's quite old so the windows were low and wide. I stayed on the first floor (2nd level), and people on the streets can totally look up and look into my room. I kept my curtains mostly closed. Toilet was old and a little run-down. The hotel is really part fast-food restaurant so my room smelled like fried food the whole time. I didnt think that the room was of good value for the price I paid for, but it was a weekend and I didnt have that many options. It was just for a night so I was ok with putting up with the room.
Cherine — Google review
I booked a stay of one night for my boyfriend and me. Due to the other reviews I was a little bit frightened about my upcoming stay. After all, in my opinion it was not as bad as most of the reviews describe. You get what you pay. The room itself was clean and pretty okay, although a little cold at night. There is a shared bathroom on each floor with showers and toilets, which were clean as well. The bathroom was not in the best condition and the lights tend to go out which could be a bit annoying. But it's absolutely bearable. Hotel staff was super nice, and the reception was available at all time. We even got a hairdryer. And finally; we didn't really notice the bad smell except for in the reception.
Sarah T — Google review
The most disgusting and disturbing place I ve ever been - and I ve travelled and stayd in many places but this one is the worst by far. It s literally the back of a snack bar, bed are with spots and the rooms are not clean - bottles, used napkins from precedent client. Since is literally doing snack bar the all place and your room will smell like fries, kebab and frickandell. My girlfriend and I left the hotel at midnight to take the last train and come back home. We are not at all the kind of picky travelers and we even thought about sleeping clothes on but it was too disgusting. If you have nowhere to sleep rather stay outside for the night than even thinking coming at the hotel sansa. 3 star on location cause it s next to train station.
William P — Google review
Someone tried to come into my family's room at 2 AM. The person did not even try to put the key into the keyhole, instead the door knob was suddenly turned. Luckily I locked the door and was still awake. Not to mention there is no TV as said, bathtub (as requested and the request was approved), and broken furnitures.
Steven R — Google review
When we first walked in it reeked of fast food. We had to wait a little before someone came to greet us and give us the keys. When we went up to our rooms it reeked even more and stunk just really bad. As we entered our rooms we instantly saw stains on the beds. There is a shared bathroom that was very dirty. Definitely not worth your money.
Jerrana S — Google review
This is a horrible 'hotel'! When we arrived the staff could not find our booking, and when they did, charged us an extra €10. I asked for a refund but only got a very angry manager who started to yell at us saying it was our fault. This made my friend and I very uncomfortable. The rooms were very small with, what looked like, unclean sheets. The bathroom was also miniature with barely any space to walk around in. The whole hotel was very noisy and not sound proof. Overall, we had a terrible experience and would never recommend anybody to stay there. Save your money and time, stay somewhere else!

We were looking for a room the same day, as another hotel around the corner was so filthy, we did not feel safe staying there. Easy to find with good inexpensive parking. Very welcoming reception both for the hotel and for city of Maastricht. A comfortable extra large bedroom, clean and spacious with large windows over looking the inner courtyard. Very pleased with the breakfast spread and our entire stay. Looking forward to another experience at the Hotel Botticelli.

We stayed here for 3 nights during a city trip to Maastricht. The hotel is in a great location, not far at all from the city centre but not on a busy street. The breakfast was really nice and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The garden is beautiful and a nice relaxed atmosphere to sit in and have a drink.

Charles and Malu do an excellent job with this stunning hotel. They are both very friendly and will help you with anything you need. My family and I stayed for 1 week visiting my sister. The location is convenient as it is a minute walk from the center shops. Very clean, breakfast was delicious and the garden in the back was great. We felt we were home away from home and would definitely come back again. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

A little hotel next to Vrijthof. We stayed at a duplex room where the bathroom is located upstairs. Room with airco that works well that keeps the room chill when it's hot outside. It has a garden in the middle which is nice to stay. There is no staff in the evening so you can't order any drinks. There are drinks in the minibar at reasonable prices. The staff in the morning and afternoon is very friendly and it has a personal vibe. Everything to see is in walking distance. I stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed it.
Leander M — Google review
Having such a beautiful garden, it’s a pity that they treat customers so badly! They certainly don’t know about word-of-mouth marketing and the importance of customer service! Take it for certain that none of my family members, friends, nor acquaintances will return to this place. I know people who had reserved rooms here to attend André Rieu’s concert, they are already cancelling these and booking elsewhere! I recommend that the people working in this place have some manners before affirming that someone hasn’t paid a €12 bill in the middle of the street when they had already paid! How embarrassing! Plus, he was racist because he said that the Spaniards didn’t pay because we were mostly Spanish and his colleague told him “but he’s Dutch , not Spanish and has paid!” Referring to my dad who is in fact Dutch. However, it doesn’t matter where you are from! Especially when we had paid!!! Communicate with your employees please!!!! Also, don’t dare to remove negative reviews, for your reputation’s sake.

1707 building very close to the town centre and all attractions. Lots of character. If you are driving, park on St. Hubertustaan which is where the hotel car park is located and walk (6 minutes) from there. A local supermarket is located half way along the way, which is handy for buying breakfast items.

Loved our stay at the Dis hotel, but would love to make a couple of suggestions. A rail at the side of the bath for easier entry, as you get older you are afraid to slip. A reminder on the inside door to make sure you have your keys, as a fire door I am aware it has to be locked but , a reminder would be helpful, my friend was locked between the doors, was funny at the time, but could have been difficult. We were made so welcome, loved the building and the breakfast was superb, thanks also for our guided tour to the station with our luggage , really appreciated it. Wish you the very best for the future. Will certainly recommend

Super nice place for a weekend. Great staff, friendly and competent, nice new room in the new part of the hotel, great bar and good breakfast. BUT: one small critic We had dinner in the restaurant and the served fries ( 12 or 14 pieces max ) in a very small cup should be included in a 19,50€ Burger Menü and not be charged with disgusting 4,50€ !!!!! extra. I hope the chef will adjust this issue as we heart that this complaint was not the first about that problem.

A few friendly 15-year-old girls are running around like headless chickens as waitresses, the drinking glasses are too greasy to hold (let alone drink from), the snacks are presented in an unappetizing way and fried for too long. The containers of children's candy, seriously? Who comes up with all this! Manager, shame on you! Conclusion: once, but never again ...
