I indulged in a slice of traditional Limburgse rijstevlaai (rice pudding pie), a local specialty that’s both creamy and subtly sweet. The cozy ambiance, combined with the charm of the historic surroundings, made for a memorable visit. Whether you’re stopping by for a coffee, a meal, or a treat, this spot is a must-visit for authentic regional flavors and warm hospitality.

The staff are friendly and attentive when needed, but not when you want to chill. Recommendations were spot on. The Filet de Bar "Croûte aux Herbes et Chorizo" was great!

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Maastricht. The service is always warm & friendly - attentive without being cloying - and the food delicious. The menu varies slightly by season and they always offer seasonal specials. My husband generally chooses the toast poulet & avocado or the Caesar salad and I am obsessed with the flammkuchen Gruyère and their French onion soup. Honestly, though, you can’t go wrong here. Every single thing we’ve ordered here has been a hit with us.

Returned multiple times, tried various dishes and I haven’t found one thing to complain about. Coffee, soup, burger, bread dishes etc all maintains consistent quality. Also quick with service.

Good food, delicious flammkuchen and had the most delicious caprese ravioli with sundried tomatoes and pistachio. Recommend the pasta and gruyére flammkuchen. My parents and I were impressed with these dishes.

I ate at this restaurant with a friend. We payed separately as our company paid for our lunch. I asked my receipt (not the total) but for these I paid. The guy that serviced us told me that I have to send an e-mail in order the logistic part of their company see their system and that they have the ability for this. I sent an e-mail and they replied that this is not possible. Now I have to apology to my company because of their unawareness. They do not even know between the staff what they can do and what not!!!

Fantastic place with really excellent regional specialities. We had em all. Onion soup, Asparagus soup, beef stew, pickled rabbit, and when we wondered if we could get something for our dog (who had been welcomed with open arms) chef did a beautiful salmon steak without sauce etc and they unilaterally chose to make it half price! All three of us thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Though i suspect we’ve made a rod for our own backs re the hound! Did i say that the service was more than excellent. Loved this place

The salad was good. The meat in the skewers was dry. The place is covers with trashy plastic flowers. Surfaces were dusty. They’ve covered the beautiful brick wall with ugly pictures. Plastic broken flowers on the tables. The lunch menu is interesting with local dishes, but the dinner menu is really boring. A place with alot of potential.

My first compliment is for the great serving attitude the staff has: from the person who welcomed us without a reservation and made an effort to give us a place where we hoped to be seated, to the waitress who graciously dealt with my “extra side dish” wishes. The second compliment is to the chef. His/her Salmon Filet with potato gratin with a secret (broccoli) ingredient was so mouthwatering, so I had to order another one! 😇 Thank you very much for making our final dinner in Maastricht a success!

My lowest ever review. Came in drawn by highly praised reviews. Place looks really good, nice setting, great building and fabulous inner court. However, staff seamed very distracted by something, drinks were served smaller than should have been and then staff totally forgot to ask or offer anything else. Can’t comment on food because I didn’t get a chance to try anything.

The service was good and the food was ok. Tried the zoervleis (beef stew) for the first time, surprisingly decent. They also have a nice selection of tap beers.

Glad I got to try the stew. Fish and chips were good. Our server was not as friendly but we enjoyed the evening.

This place is usually quite busy, especially on weekends, but it’s definitely a great spot for breakfast. Even though there was no table available when we arrived, we only had to wait about 5 minutes. There are plenty of tables, so one frees up quickly—no need to worry. The tables are placed quite close to each other, but if that doesn’t bother you, it shouldn't be an issue. For the quantity, presentation, flavour, and service you get, it’s definitely worth it. The coffee is very good and well prepared. Nothing extraordinary, but still good. The food, on the other hand, is simply fantastic—delicious and beautifully presented. The bathrooms are clean, and the interior is lovely. I do feel that it is a franchise, but it doesn’t disappoint. The menu is quite extensive. If you don’t know Dutch or English, it may feel a bit overwhelming, but worst case, you can always use Google Translate.

This is THE PLACE TO BE for a morning coffee and healthy bowl. It made me want to wake up everyday to have breakfast in the breezy and fresh cobblestone streets of maastricht. We tried the yogurt bowl and the mango bowl. Both very flavorful, generous, super fresh fruits and crunchy home made granola that topped it all. Must try! We also tried the egg wrap, very filling and tasty.

I had the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and it was absolutely fantastic! The flavors were fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The cozy atmosphere and attention to detail in both food and service make this place a must-visit. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice, but unfortunately the staff’s attitude made the experience less enjoyable. When we arrived it was full, so we said we were happy to wait. However, the staff told us—rather rudely—that we could not sit while waiting and directed us to stand in a particular spot. This created a poor impression at the start. While the food and setting are very good, the service left much to be desired.

Maybe they had a bad day, but the food wasn’t good. Eggs benedict had extremely salty sauce. Pancakes tasted like sad microwaved bread ( couldn’t finish them). Cappuccino and smoothie were good. Presentation of the food is beautiful.

The food was great! We got the eggs benedict /van wyck eggs. They make one of the best hollandaise sauce I’ve ever had. They did overdid it with the smoked salmon on my bread but that’s more of a personal preference. The coffee and matcha are decent. All in all great place for breakfast/brunch.

Visited couple times and i won’t be lying when i said: reserve before coming (if possible) because the place is small yet everyone wants to eat vlaai here. Other pastries also available (broodjeworst, also a favorite from this place). Recommended to pack some pieces home for your loved ones because you haven’t visited maastricht without vlaai from their place.

A must try Vlaai (traditional limburg pie, one kf maastricht pastry icon!) the strawberry one is really niceee and big portion! We share 1 for 2 people! The mint tea is also nice! They have dine in place with quite small capacity <3 sooo warm also beside there is a beautiful old mill

Lovely bakery with beautiful watermill in the back. Highly recommend the Vlaai here. Its a traditional treat in this region that you must try if stopping by.

Had a really amazing lunch here. The waitress was super friendly and attentive and the food was just delicious! The portion sizes are perfect for ordering multiple different things to try/share. The garden is really beautiful and the atmosphere is great.

We could not have asked for a more perfect evening. Very friendly and welcoming staff, three homerun dishes and the perfect ambiance. We sat inside as it was cold out with the patio closed and it felt like a little greenhouse in there. We ordered the Baba Ghanoush and Mutabal as our apps with the Coscia d'Anatra, Kharuf, and Orata Alla Griglia as our mains. Each one was perfectly cooked and flavored. This feels like a hidden gem just outside of the main downtown. Highly recommend!

We sat outside in nice weather and it was a great atmosphere. The food was amazing, would recommend every dish we had. The desserts were also very light and tasty, perfect way to finish a meal.

Really nice cuisine and impeccable vibe when you get to enjoy the garden in summer. I love food options in general but I’ve had better hummus and Baba ganoush for cheaper, The main dish also felt a bit lacking for the price. Almost no garnish except some potatoes and a sad salad.

We went on a sunny weekday afternoon with our two kids and enjoyed the atmosphere in the beautiful park-like backyard behind the former brewery. We tried their elderberry-infused beer that was so good that we took a bottle home. We had the octopus, the duck leg and the baba ganoush which were delicious. We will come back and recommend this to any food lover! Service was excellent as well, free cold water included.

I ordered a Hamburger but it was totally rare like a rare steak! I couldn’t eat it at all! The taste was awful! The dish had chips with parsley as sides and it was terrible too! The staff were friendly but I will never go there anymore!

I came to the Rumors Bar for an Old Fashioned, and this was made to perfection. Brenda made the syrup from scratch and ground in the sugar with the Bourbon, 10/10. My second drink wasn't on the menu, a Manhattan, and this was perfectly made.

Disappointing service, sat down and ordered a meals and sides with non alcoholic soft drinks. Waitress then refused to give any tap water citing this was only given to those having alcohol and that to have tap water we would first need to have an alcoholic beverage! What a joke! Avoid! Explains why they had empty tables and others didn’t. Plenty of other fabulous places to eat in Maastricht no need to waste time with this one, plan ahead and book in to avoid places like this- we wish we had! - try Wyk End for example

Good cocktails right here! 🍸 The space is very cozy and has a better display on the back. (Try to get on of those seats). It’s always very busy, so don’t take to much to order, otherwise it’s gonna take a long time to arrive. We asked for Expresso Martinis first, then wine, and beers. The martinis were unbelievable! Truly recommend for pre-drinks.

Excellent little cafe/restaurant! It's located in one of the many narrow streets of Maastricht, away from the immediate hustle and bustle. The lady working there was really lovely, friendly and chatty! She also knew exactly what I wanted without me even needing to ask ("another glass of water?" "The bathroom?"). Decent prices for generous portions.

I love coming here for cocktails and some bar snacks. My favorites are definitely the peach sour (which I have yet to find a better one) and the fried eggplants with honey. I am not familiar with the dinner menu but it is nice to also sit on the terrace when the weather is good.

The restaurant itself was beautiful and the atmosphere was great. However the service was slow and the waiters ignored us a bit. We ordered a tea that was just okay, a decaf coffee that was bitter and a japanese cheesecake that was definitely not worth the money since it didn’t even have a lot of flavour. Such a pleasant visit to Clichée! We went with a group of 8 around dinner time. Food was really good! We shared several small dishes, most of them were very delicious. The taco’s were a bit too spicey and meaty to our taste. Plenty of yum veggie options available. Amazing cocktails as well! Friendly staff. We had to wait a bit for the cocktails and food, but that’s understandable for a big group.

Listen the staff are friendly. However, these prices are honestly insulting. The portions are very small. You leave hungrier when leaving. This place reminds me of the saying "dutch pallette", the sooner you realise that expats and immigrants visit here the better. We don't all like bland food. Charging €12 for 4 small pieces of fried chicken and €22 for a burger and fries is a crime. And honestly there are cheaper tastier places in maastricht.

I loved the wide range of options they had on their menu! Several vegan options and possible to make things gluten-free. I enjoyed a delicious vegan halloumi slice of gluten-free bread. It was presented with many vegetables and tasted amazing! Would definitely come back here!

I’ve been living in Maastricht for 6 years now and every time one of my friends or my family visit me here, I take them here for brunch. The atmosphere is super cozy, the personnel is incredibly nice and the food is delicious! I also love the variety that they bring in the menu through seasonal specials, and no matter if you eat anything or if you have any restrictions (vegan, vegetarian, gluten, allergies etc), you will find great options on their menu. It can get a bit packed around 10/11 am though, so I would recommend coming earlier for brunch☺️

Great food and service. 2 or less Smaller groups have much shorter weight. Mostly crowded spot. Pancakes are tasty, not too watery or dry. Great texture. The caramel sauce is not too sweet.

Both the Rose water latte and cinnamon scroll tasted nice although the oven was broken so the scroll wasn't warm. The servers were friendly but a little hard to flag down. It took multiple tries to get someone to take our order. Overall a cute little spot for brunch with a friend

Love this place. Friendly staff, great coffee and a good vegan toast (pictured). 🌱 I’ve only been inside, which is light and spacious with beautiful plants and plenty of room to sit. In case you need to get some work done, there is free WiFi and multiple power outlets available to plug in your device.

Good coffee drinks and tasty toasted sandwiches. The atmosphere is cosy and warm, and the staff were very friendly. The café is well located too, just off of the market square in the city centre of Maastricht, and in front of a bus stop. Just note that it is currently not open on Sundays, if you're planning to drop by on a Sunday shopping trip ;-)

The atmosphere is just as amazing as the food. I was greeted my the very friendly waitress that got me my breakfast menu shorty after. Delicious food made with love! Prices are very fair for the quality of food! For me personally this is a leading example of how a cafe and bistro should be run and managed. Big love to the waitress kitchen staff and team! We visited on a trip for breakfast and were delighted by the location and atmosphere. The menu is small, but well though out and brings with it a feel of the mission of the restaurant. The social and integration goal of restaurant is worth supporting and the service is first class.

The food here is pretty ok and it wasn’t busy at all. Which is for me a big plus. However, service wise I wish there was a bit more attention paid. It was nice to have our personal space protected, but just a simple “need anything? Is everything ok?” would have been perfect. Nonetheless the food is great and fills you up nicely. Fried cauliflower has quite the kick to it!

Levantini used to be my go-to spot for a perfect, juicy, flavor-packed pita. I was a regular, stuffing my face with their delicious creations while basking in the warmth of the owners’ hospitality. It felt like stepping into a Middle Eastern grandmother’s kitchen—if she also happened to run a hip little eatery. But oh, how the mighty have fallen. Not only have the prices skyrocketed (seriously, did they start using gold-infused tahini? - some things almost increased by 50%)), but the once-friendly atmosphere has taken a nosedive. The owner, who used to be the embodiment of Middle Eastern hospitality, now looks like he deeply regrets every customer that walks through the door. I swear I saw him sigh when I ordered, like I had personally ruined his day by… paying for his food? And the food? Let’s just say it’s not quite the masterpiece it once was. The flavors are still there, but they’re playing hide and seek, and nobody’s winning. The portions feel smaller, the quality a little less chef’s kiss and a little more meh’s kiss. Overall, Levantini has gone from “I’d eat here every day” to “I wouldn’t eat here even if someone else was paying.” If I’m going to drop a small fortune on pita, I’d at least like to feel like I’m not being actively resented for existing. Sadly, it seems like both the love and the hummus portions have dried up.

Unfortunately the food was not authentic and well prepared. Ingredients were not of high quality and recipe was off so hummus, tabouleh, as well as pide didn’t taste good. Falafels were of high quality though.

Excellent fresh and smooth hummus. We tried a shared dish with falafel, hummus bowl, fresh bread, marinated mushrooms and tabouleh. All was good and matched obviously very well. There are only soft drinks available, but good quality ones. Like kombucha or Fritz. Friendly staff, partially only English speaking. Furniture and style is of the fifties and sixties, reminding me a lot of my grand parents kitchen ware. Toilet pot is broken and the painting could have an upgrade. But that does not change the great taste of the hummus here.....

A rather big restaurant that’s only serving veggie / vegan dishes. Had to wait quite some time till the chef arrived to start cooking - unfortunately it was an open kitchen where you could see all their handlings (not in line with mine hygienic expectations) The veggie bitterballen were actually very nice, the hamburgers looked and tasted a bit like I would make them at home. No reservation needed, will unfortunately probably not go back.

The food was really good, and authentic. We came with a big group and they prepared a special menu for us. The servers were friendly and the owner told a small story about the typical Limburgse ‘zuurvlees’. Overall great experience and amazing food. And the music was also a 5 out of 5 ✨

Beautiful Restaurant with the option to sit outside. The Staters (Carpaccio with truffel mayo / spicy vegan meatballs) and the Main Dishes (gnocchi with vegan Cheese / gulash) were really delicious. We absolutelly recommend this Place 😊

The food was nice - good to go to a vegan place and know they put an effort into the food, really enjoyed it. Cute decor, nice ambiance. One person in the staff told me 'to be more polite' in a very angry way, our entire company (8ppl) got a bit stumped and didn't understand where it came from. But other than that it was nice.

Best vegan restaurant in Maastricht!! Their carbonara is to die for 🤤 the dishes are super tasty, waiters are very kind and accommodating and the interiors design is really cosy (perfect date spot)! They also have a great 3 courses menu deal - would recommend, as their desserts are amazing ❤️

As a vegan, I was very excited to try this place out. Menu was good and food was nice but the service really failed this place. We were sat down, and the server didn’t ask us how our food was the whole time or ask us if we wanted anymore drinks either. As soon as our mains were taken away from us, we asked to see the desert menu as we had ordered off the three course deal set menu. We were told that the kitchen was closing so she wasn’t sure if we could have desert. This was at around 9.15pm…. Surely you’d want us to have desert and spend more money? We also explained we had ordered the set menu which includes a desert within the price, so she said I guess you can then, if you tell me what you want now. It seemed that she wasn’t happy us being there and it was a hindrance to her. The couple next to us arrived at around 8.30 and she immediately said to them ‘do you have a reservation’ and he said no, and she said ‘it’s just a question’. We were then summoned out after we had our food, and told we had to all leave as she needed to prepare the tables for the morning (again it was 9.45pm by this point). There was just a little bit of negative energy and attitude going on with the service, which really let the place down. It’s on a gorgeous street, and hopefully the place does well but I think the owner needs to have a chat with the staff about motivation, and service training.

We were on a rush to catch our train and this restaurant was just in front of the station. The service was good and we had our meals in time. The king prawns were yummy and the meat stew with okra was tasty (would have been even nicer to have it with a bit of rice). We asked for extra bread as it was very fresh and would The prices was a bit high for a bistro-like restaurant, mayve it was due to proximity to the station!

We were a party of 10. Fantastic selection in the 4 course mezze menu. Great saffron gin and table wines, service was flawless and some good suggestions from friendly, engaging staff.

Cosy place,good food, middle eastern tapas alongside continental cuisine. Especially enjoyed the perfectly cooked tuna steak. The burger and fish of the day were also good. Overall good quality for the price, slightly small portions for the mains.

The owner is a lovely gentleman who made us all feel at home, like one of the family. The food was delicious, the hummus in our starter course and the chicken going nuts being two stand out dishes for me. The steak pieces were tender and full flavored, and the wine pairings were fantastic. The baklava was also delicious.

Had dinner tonight with a group of 20 people and enjoyed a nicely made set menu. Food was delicious and well presented! Staff was amazingly friendly and fluent in both Dutch and English. I can highly recommend this restaurant!
