Pub
Surfers Paradise Beergarden has recently undergone a major renovation and now boasts a vibrant atmosphere with a deck that offers stunning views of Cavill Avenue. The venue features nautical accents, picnic tables with umbrellas, and a wraparound deck known as the Birdwatchers Bar, perfect for people-watching. It is renowned for its live music scene and is considered the home of authentic rock in Surfers Paradise.
We spent a lovely long lunch here midweek in February. Located on the first floor is this fabulous Aussie pub, indoors flows to outdoors and the balcony is all undercover. You look out over Cavill Avenue so you are right in the centre of Surfers Paradise! (The balcony has a sectioned off corner as a smoking area) Our lunch was a chicken Caesar wrap and a steak sandwich and both were tasty, filling and good value. Service was received with a smile and they participate in the Pub app! Access is either from street level in Cavill Avenue (gaming machines are on the ground floor) or indoors via the shopping centre directly to the 1st floor.

Nice place right in the surfer paradise. Always busy and lots of people around. It's open until late morning, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I loved the pizza and the pizza platter pack was a good value. Good choice of beer and drinks. They don't have beer towers tho, however they have a good variety of cocktails.

Come to celebrate with family last night for our VIRGO BIRTHDAY DINNER. Food was great, tasty & everyone loved what they ordered too many to tell you as we had a party of 30 (including 4 young children). Compliments to the chef last night an AMAZING JOB for bringing our food out at timely manner. Atmosphere was lively, watching games live & all main sports on screen catered for everyone. Staff was lovely.

Chicken Parmi ($29): It’s served with chips and a salad. This might be the best chicken schnitzel I’ve ever had. The coatings are extremely crunchy and the chicken is fresh and tender. The tomato sauce, cheese, and ham do a lot of tricks to the schnitzels. The chips are also delicious, well seasoned, and not greasy. Besides, non-alcoholic drinks cost from $3 to $5.6, Lemon, Lime & Bitters $5.8, Red Bull $8.3 (smallest size). The entrance to the restaurant is right next to the gate to shopping centre and you can easily come here by the light rail and get off at Cavill Avenue. The security will tell you to show your ID before entering the pub. The bartender is quite nice and he’ll give you a pager to collect your food at the pick up section. There are a lot of TVs playing sports matches and I like the music played and how spacious it is compared to other restaurants. You scan the QR code to see the menu and a lot of dishes and drinks are customisable. Overall, superb food, relaxing vibes, great staff and security, a 9.5 out of 10!

“I had a great time at the Surfers Paradise Beer Garden. The atmosphere is awesome – open, fresh, and perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. There’s always something happening here, from live music to sports on the big screens, and even fun games like giant Jenga and Connect Four which makes it different from your usual pub. The food was fresh, tasty, and good value, and the drink selection had plenty of options. Staff were friendly and welcoming, which really made the experience even better. It’s the kind of place where you can chill out in the afternoon with a drink or kick on into the evening with a bit more energy. Definitely one of the best spots in Surfers for a casual and fun night out

Monday night. Public holiday. Cavill Ave pumping as usual. Debating on where to go for dinner and found this place, which I last frequented on a football trip 20 years ago! Obviously it had had a few updates since then and upon walking in had a great vibe! It was busy but not packed so getting a table for 6 was relatively easy. Great yet simple menu. All the staples were there. There was a mix up with our order and an ordered Parmi was missing which they quickly rectified. It’s a place that oozes partying and late nights however for us on Monday needing a feed, it was great!
Corrie B — Google review
Absolutely worst Caesar salad I’ve ever had made, asked for grilled chicken as an optional $6 extra was given some sort of morrocan chicken and the sauce was like white water. No way that was a Caesar sauce was disgusting and staff couldn’t have given a stuff they all looking at each other. Do not go here if your looking for a quality meal in surfers, husbands calamari also cold and rubbery. Avoid Avoid Avoid !!! Waited for seemed like ages too and the place is empty and now we know why!

Miami Marketta is a vibrant night market located in Miami's creative precinct, offering a diverse range of global street food, cocktails, and beer. Housed in a former mechanics warehouse, this iconic local gem hosts an array of street food vendors three times a week, filling the air with enticing aromas. With live music performances by local and international musicians, along with stand-up comedy and games, Miami Marketta provides unforgettable nights for visitors.
My family and I had the pleasure of visiting Miami Marketta while on holiday just last week. The food and live entertainment were both phenomenal. Kim in particular was such a delight. So helpful and friendly. Her handmade jewellery is so beautiful we couldn’t help but guy a few prices. It turned out to be my favourite night of our whole holiday. What an incredible experience. Thank you Kim, the cooks, the bartenders, and performers.

Great vibe! We were visiting from overseas but if we were locals we'd be there all the time. We loved the variety. Had Greek bread and dips, Paella, Dumplings, and cheesecake. Child friendly.

Depends what stall your getting food at= what experience you’ll have. Pricey but good food overall. I love the South American food trucks they have here. Good for family outings when you can’t decide what you want. I recommend to order everything at once as things can sometimes take 30 mins plus to come out.

Really good atmosphere here in GC! It’s not too far from Surfers Paradise — only about 40 minutes. I loved the music, food, and overall vibe. I’ll definitely visit again. The drinks and food are reasonably priced and taste great, especially the paella and pizza — I loved them so much!

Plenty of food choices, good live music band, good atmosphere, got new pop up stores lately. Cute washrooms

Came on a Thursday evening and it was easy to find a spot for our group of 8. Good variety of food available and would recommend ordering a few different things to share amongst the group. Whilst the main bar sells soft drinks, would also recommending buying directly from the stalls as they sell at a slightly cheaper price. There were two different acts playing, one a live band at one end and the other a DJ where all the food stalls are.
Stephanie L — Google review
Good good good vibe, i love the live music with delicious food. There is a burger shop in the end of the market, 3 for 18, really yum and recommended the trifle chips.

Visiting from regional Qld. Smaller than Eat Street in Brisbane, but similar vibe. Lots of food options to suit a group, although we were surprised at the absence of Indian food. Prices reasonable. Live music good (Sat night). Busy but not packed. Would return.

Live music venue
Elsewhere is a retro-chic nightclub located in Surfers Paradise, known for hosting both local and international musical talents. The venue features live music performances by emerging acts as well as touring artists, and once the live music ends, the focus shifts to the dancefloor with guest DJs taking over. This family-owned establishment caters to mature audiences and offers a hub of alternative electronic beats, making it a popular spot for those seeking a unique nightlife experience in the area.
Always a good time at elsewhere, good vibes all round, really friendly staff and talented DJ’s and producers who play a vast range of house, tech house and other genres and bands on some weekends. They also have a really cool dance floor with impressive light production which creates a unique and fun atmosphere. It’s the only venue in surfers where I feel a sense of community, a great place to meet new people and make new connections. Be sure to check it out if you want to have a proper dance and listen to some sick tracks.

Went there as this is the best reviews I got in maps. I wore shorts with belt loops and shoes and I don't have any problem with getting in. 20AUD for cover charge as I discovered there are a lot of clubs nearby collecting cover charge as well. The bartenders are very friendly. There are some choices of cocktails. A lot of people from international. So you can meet a lot of people there. Just the songs they are playing is trance music. It reminded me of my happy life when I was 90 years old. After that I have discovered there are actually a lot of clubs better than there. I should have walked around first before I entered. If you are 50 and above and love trance music this is your first place!

I had sometime away from the clubbing scene due to marriage lol but OMG I forgot about this place... And when I finally got back there..I felt right at home. All the staff are great and this place will make you feel the love. ♥️💛♥️ Jaytee and Jimmy the DJ's that brings the love and made me feel I was in the right place✌️♥️💛♥️

Dedicated and friendly staff/security. Friendly behaved patrons too, polite kids well brought up. Charged $25 entry and $15 for a mixed drink. Techno beat 120+bpms. I felt safe and danced as hard as the space allows. Great little space in the centre of Surfers. Don't forget your ID

Been there last saturday. Woman on the entrance told me it was 25 dollars. My friend was charged 25, then I was asked 30, asked why and she told me “that’s the price”, paid cash, no ticket. 3 min after that my other friend arrived and was charged 20 on card. Someone is keeping some money, should check that

The Coolangatta Hotel is a popular beachfront pub and live music venue located on the southern foreshore of the Gold Coast. It offers classic surf 'n' turf dining and a vibrant atmosphere for locals and tourists alike. The hotel hosts big acts from Australia and beyond, making it a must-visit spot for live music enthusiasts. With its convenient location, delicious food, excellent service, and two function areas suitable for any celebration, it's an ideal place to gather with friends or family.
Beautiful family friendly beachfront hotel. Came here to see an amazing INXS tribute band. Staff were welcoming and fun, all the way from the bouncers to barstaff and sound engineers. Only disappointment was a family of three that obviously had a bonus Centrelink payment and wanted to ruin the night for others, arguing with ticket collected at entry to gig. The poor guy had to deal with the parents and ever so charming 3 toothed daughter who thought their entitlement surpassed venue rules and general standards of decency, Dad, dressed in his Sunday best opshop shorts tried standover tactics against staff. The staff member was polite, professional, and way more accommodating than he needed to be. I never got his name, but possibly AJ? Anyway, fantastic venue, epic burgers, fantastic band room. Definitely coming back
Jeremiah A — Google review
Five stars! My favourite spot to hang out on a Sunday. The vibe is always great and Ben’s hospitality goes above and beyond every single time. Always feel welcome here – couldn’t recommend the Cooly Hotel more.
Hannah A — Google review
Ordered 2 kids fish and chips and the fish piece was REALLY small. Lots of chips, but about half of the amount of fish they'd get anywhere else. Also ordered medium rare stake that came well done. Kinda felt like a waste of money as I didnt enjoy my meal and kids were grazing from my plate for meat, as the fish wasn't enough. It has a good view tho.
Lucelia P — Google review
Tonight im here for INXS don’t change. Great Venue…. But the staff wow… Shocking to say the least. I was asked to leave if I stood by where the glasses are put by the front bar. I was threatened with being thrown out because of this minor infraction. Then well going upstairs well….. The staff member was abrupt to The patrons after being mate. Then being threatened to be kicked out. Please train your employees on the Customer is always right. But never wrong. PS there was no drunk people.
Andrew T — Google review
There’s no escaping the overwhelming cigarette smoke. If you smoke, great venue for you. If you don’t, or are pregnant, you’ll be hard pressed to find anywhere in the entire venue that doesn’t suffocate you. Went to watch Lisa Hunt & couldn’t dance because the entire dance floor is full of the smell of cigarette. Definitely won’t be coming back.
Melanie R — Google review
Dinner was amazing last night, sirloin steak for some of our table and wagyu fettuccine for others - delicious! Great night out with the live music. We’ll be back!
Kellie — Google review
absolutely horrible bar tender (maybe by the name Benny? who was acting as a security guard) treated me & my family extremely disrespectfully upon entry to INXS don’t change tribute. i have never experienced such profound behaviour, not to mention him holding his arms out in front of us after scanning our tickets & yelling ‘JUST WAIT MATE’ then threatened to throw us out after calling out his behaviour. he’s too big for his boots & i sincerely hope he receives the correct lessons in normal human interaction. i would give 0 stars if i could. train your staff better.
Sansia M — Google review
Was here for inxs tonight food was great but you really need to train your bar staff namely Bennie to not be so arrogant and rude to paying patrons. Was disgraceful the way he spoke to my partner and myself and threatened to throw us out for moving in the line whilst waiting to enter the balcony for the gig. He has no manners and was obviously on a power trip tonight. And we are not the only ones to comment about his inappropriate and belligerent behavior tonight. He definitely needs customer service skills as I’m sure he wouldn’t speak to his mother that way so why should he speak to another mother like that tonight. Totally ruined the experience.after reading previous reviews it seems that there is a common theme here with rude staff and you claim to address it on numerous occasions, however it’s still happening. And there are numerous comments regarding this same person. Obviously your discussions with the team falls on deaf ears when they guilty of exhibiting recidivist behavior.

Bar
The Cambus Wallace is a trendy boat-themed bar located in the heart of the Gold Coast, paying homage to maritime traditions with its rustic decor and vintage nautical artifacts. Inspired by an ancient shipwreck, it offers a unique experience with refined small plates and a carefully curated selection of spirits, craft beers, and cocktails. This hidden gem is perfect for lovers of rum and whiskey, offering a wide range of rum-based drinks alongside classic cocktails.
Dropped in for a drink on the way passed, the bartender forfilled our random cocktail request with great (off menu) recommendations. Reasonable price for great drinks and service. A hidden non pretentious gem. (We almost cancelled tonight’s plans and stayed as the band had just arrived 🥂).
Simon B — Google review
A relaxing and dimly lit atmosphere serving food as well as drinks. Would be nice with more normal opposed to bar seating as isn't preferable to eat on the high bar tables. Not a fancy vibe but food is fine for a bar. More plant based options would be good especially with the Mains as the eggplant parmiagana didn't look or sound too appealing 😅 the cauliflower was delicious though with the hummus. My partner didn't enjoy his ribs saying it lacked flavour and sauce. My favourite part about this place was the freshly pressed apple juice. This is the one special thing that I would come back for! Refreshing and delicious. I have never had a fresh apple juice with vodka before and it was very enjoyable. Loved it! 🍏 🍏🍏
Sallyyypappa — Google review
They’re not a Rum bar! No rums there at all. I got a cocktail made that was amazing. I called it a Georgia Rum after the bar tender. I asked the bar tender to tell me what top shelf Rums you have and she couldn't find any. So I went with the cocktail!
Raj H — Google review
My patience for poor hospitality service is limited, and unfortunately, my experience here did not meet expectations. Upon sitting down (with only one other couple in the bar), it took 5–10 minutes to be greeted with a menu. After receiving it, we waited another 10 minutes without any follow-up service and ultimately decided to leave. I understand this may be an “order at the counter” venue, but with only four patrons and two staff members visibly available, it felt like table service could have been offered. As a customer, it was frustrating to feel ignored while the staff focused on other tasks, such as drying glassware. I find it extremely off-putting when venues make customers ‘order at the bar,’ especially in a space that’s nearly empty. It comes across as lazy and dismissive of guests, and in this case, it made the experience frustrating enough that we left.
Saige O — Google review
What a rip off. Ordered the cocktail that was the secret punch. They didn't even go through to effort to soak the fruit or anything. Just a rocks glass full of ice, cut up apples, lemonade and a shot of miscellaneous alcohol, probably rum? And yes I watched the bartender make it and jigger tells the amount of spirit that went in...$24....never again. Been a loyal guest but this is incredibly dishonest in this economy. Happy to pay for a real cocktail. Not a rum lemonade or something 😕
Mett A — Google review
The food and the cocktails were really great here. Seeing some live music come back into venues was also a treat and we had a great night here

Called in with a group of 9 people. We were quickly found a table and served. The wait staff are pretty good controlling the floor like they had done for years. The drinks menu is extensive and reasonably priced. With great entertainment I will recommend this venue for repeat visits.

Soundlounge is a well-regarded live music venue located in Currumbin, Gold Coast. It has been recognized for its intimate and engaging music experiences, hosting original local, national, and international touring artists. The venue boasts modern production and excellent room acoustics. Despite being situated above the RSL, it offers sensibly priced drinks, ample parking, good access, and a large outside deck area.
A fabulous place for a concert, great atmosphere, great place to dance. Food was great, chai latte beautiful ❤️❤️❤️ Highly recommended

There are better live music venues but it's not bad. The food is good down stairs and they let you bring drinks up which is great. Ample parking at the front and across the road. Would be great to open the windows in the sound lounge as itnis damn hot but noise is probably the issue.

Bloody brilliant. Great live music up close and personal! Great venue for comedy gigs too 👍
Jonathon P — Google review
Waiting for 45min to get in, then 1 hour for the band to start! 😤 Plus mostly standing only, was an absolute joke!! The so-called Queen band was terrible, not even close to Queen. Total waste of time. Won't go back.
Jean G — Google review
It's above the RSL so you might be a little put off but actually it's a pretty good live music venue . Drinks are sensibly priced, plenty of parking, good access and a large outside deck area attached. Ceiling us a bit low so the acoustics aren't top notch but you can get up close and personal with the band which is a real plus. Saw British India there and they were brilliant
Darkstar — Google review
It was a bit disappointing because I am short and couldn't see the band. Plus standing for the whole time was difficult. Maybe TV screens around the room showing the band would be a good idea!
Michelle A — Google review
We had a great night at the Sound Lounge seeing Dean Ray. What a great venue. He is an incredible musician but he seriously needs a manager. His songs were amazing but his talking in-between was very unprofessional. I would love to see him make it big but he just requires a great manager to assist him in this competitive world. Hope this helps.

The Clock Hotel in Surfers Paradise is a popular spot for drinks and food with three floors of bars and restaurants. There's also a gaming lounge, sports bar, and restaurant on the ground floor.
We had a big family group with lots of kids and the team sat us upstairs where the kids could run around and we had it all mostly to ourselves! Food was delicious and came out fast, cold drinks, beautiful building, kitchen handled multiple food allergies really well and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Amazing value for money! Thanks heaps Clock hotel team keep up the great work!

The lady behind the bar who took my order was super sweet and gave me tips about their menu. As it turns out, she should have simply told me to go the McDonalds. The Schnitty was terrible. I don’t know how you can goof a schnitzel so badly, but you’ve done it spectacularly. It was greasy. Bread shouldn’t glisten. The chips were cold and we all know when chips are cold, they’re inedible. Absolutely loved the bells chiming whilst I waited for my “food”. The view was lovely. Such a shame my lunch was inedible. I’m sure on a hot summers day, this place is a vibe, but sadly, I don’t recommend it for a weekday pub feed.

I recently visited the Clock Hotel in Surfers Paradise. While the experience wasn’t perfect, there were definitely some highlights. The best parts were the iconic clock tower, which adds great character and charm to the place, and the outdoor seating area, which is spacious and pleasant—perfect for enjoying a drink or meal on a nice day. That said, the service was disappointing. When we arrived, the staff seemed inattentive and didn’t come over to serve us. We had to go to the bar ourselves to place our order, which felt frustrating and unwelcoming. It seemed like they weren’t very engaged with guests, which took away from the overall experience. The menu was average, with decent but nothing spectacular flavors. Considering the price, I felt the value for money. Portions were okay but the taste didn’t stand out much. The atmosphere is casual and the outdoor seating helps make up for some of the indoor shortcomings. With better service and more attention to guests, this place could be much better. Overall, the Clock Hotel has good bones—great location, unique clock tower, and nice outdoor space—but it needs to improve staff attentiveness and food quality to match. For now, it’s a mixed bag; worth a visit if you want to enjoy the outdoor area, but don’t expect top-notch service or memorable food.

Absolutely loved our experience at the Clock Hotel! The food was amazing and the service was top notch. The staff are friendly, attentive, and quick. A special shout out to the vegetarian lasagne 🙌hands down one of the best I've ever had. Rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great meal and atmosphere.

Looking for a spot in Surfers Paradise where you can grab a bite and soak up some local charm? This place has it all – from a friendly tavern vibe to top-notch service and a menu that'll make our taste buds dance. Their $18 lunch deal – it's seriously hard to resist. Juicy steaks, flavorful chicken parma, and mouthwatering fish and chips are just a few highlights on the menu. Trust me, your wallet and your belly will thank you! Plus, the place is super clean and easy to get to – just a hop, skip, and a jump from Cavill and right along the tram line. So next time you're in Surfers Paradise, make sure to swing by Clock Hotel for a good time and great eats!

This corner pub is a gem TBH. We walked in one night with no expectations and have found everything was awesome. The staff and the service was pleasant, our dishes were decent, tasty and unpretentious. The food came out relatively quick in comparison to other eatery nearby. Everyone in our family enjoyed the food and dining experience here.

Good little pub. Food was ok, one of the girls behind the bar was lovely, the other looked like she may have been, being held against her will. Nice location and table settings

I’ve lived in the Gold Coast my whole life, and go quite often to restaurants/pubs for lunch, dinner.. with my partner, I have never ever come across such poor attitude poor service, poor everything to be honest from a bartender. Not only one of them, but 2 of them, both girls at the bar. I don’t even drink but I felt like a beer with my partner and friends, I didn’t know what I wanted so she was just standing there rolling her eyes. Rushing me. So I ordered one, she literally said “don’t have it” when I asked for the type of beer I wanted.. without giving me any other options, my brother had to help me decide what one to get.. she poured my beer, and made it leak everywhere, and just slammed in on the bench? It was dripping everywhere, even maccas does better 😆😆 I have been a bartender before and if a guest of the venue came up to me and didn’t know which drink to get I would help them select. They were whispering to each other something, and gave me the most foul look.. I actually felt so embarrassed and upset. The group of friends I was with. Noticed how bitchy these 2 girls were, we ended up leaving.. didn’t even get to finish our beers.. waste of money, we were going to have a afternoon lunch, but took our money elsewhere. You 2 girls should honestly be ashamed, if your that unhappy with your job, or don’t know how to communicate with other females, leave, and go work somewhere, where customer service isn’t applicable, boys aren’t the only people at pubs you know that right?😆 To be honest, I have never ever wrote a review! But after the experience I had with the blonde chick, and the brunette, and the way you embarrassed me in front of all my friends, and partner. I think your boss should know :)

Was clever enough to book my engagement party at Mo’s, having never been before but was recommend by many! We hired the warehouse side for the day booking (12-5pm) & it was the best decision! A fully sunny day for immaculate vibes but the shaded indoor area with a great mix of seats (which felt so open and airy because of the incredible murals) The tacos were 10/10 and matched the vibe of Mo’s perfectly and the team were so kind Loved the frozen margs!! Thank you Kim and El you are a dreaaaaaam team!!! Will recommend to anyone who asks and to everyone who doesn’t ❤️‍🔥

The Island Rooftop is a popular open-air bar in the heart of Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. It offers stunning views of the CBD and Main Beach coastline. The rooftop features live music, DJs, and entertainment, creating a lively atmosphere perfect for beachside holidays. With a retro-styled cocktail bar and seating in romantic nooks, it's an ideal spot to enjoy creative cocktails like Mac Daddy, Mango Unchained, and Ginger Ninja while taking in the breathtaking scenery.
Another great experience & best DJ on a Friday night who really sets the atmosphere. The staff are amazing and go the extra mile.

The atmosphere was so nice. I ordered a prosciutto pizza, it was fantastic, different from the crispy and mediocre ones other Australian restaurants serve. (I forgot to take a photo because i was too hungry…) And as for the beer, I had Byron Bay Lager, which was so easy to drink for me although Im not a fan of beers. But there was one thing they need to improve, it took about 40 minutes or more to serve the pizzas after placing the order, it really made me starving and irritated.

We had the bottomless brunch, group of 9 and overall a terrible experience - cold food that had been sat out for too long. Each course was exact same. Karaage Chicken especially terrible. Bad cuts of chicken, parts overdone and others underdone and doughy Poor quality drink choices, watered down and bad ingredients. Long line to order and when using table service, the drinks took longer. Toilets shared with the pool below, wet toilets and strong smell

I already emailed this after my birthday on 22nd Feb. Hopefully service is much better since. I came in yesterday to celebrate my birthday after hearing great reviews from friends, but unfortunately, my experience wasn’t the best. From the moment we arrived, a blonde staff member in a long black dress was quite rude. At 2:13 PM, she told us we’d be charged $40 per person (3 people) for any no-shows by 2:45 PM, which we understood. But then at 2:30 PM, she came back insisting we pay, even though all but two guests had arrived. Also insisting we pay for the third guest that didn't show, which she incorrectly counted and there were only two guests remaining. Those two weren’t even given wristbands and had to go through their bank transaction history to prove they had paid—really frustrating. On top of that, drinks took forever to come out, and the same staff member kept hovering over us with a really unpleasant expression, which honestly ruined the mood. I had high hopes for my birthday celebration, but after this experience, I’m not sure I’d come back. Just wanted to share my feedback in case this is something you’d want to address. Edit: there were more disappointing things that happened but this was the email sent at the time. Such a shame as it has a really nice atmosphere

Nestled along the light rail line in Southport, Vinnies Dive Bar has quickly established itself as a vibrant hub for live music enthusiasts. With its striking pink neon sign and unpretentious facade, this venue embodies the quintessential dive bar experience. Despite being relatively new to the scene, it has already hosted an impressive lineup of rock, punk, and noise acts that resonate with fans of heavy metal and grunge.

It's cool. Toilets are downstairs and in short supply; they are out the back in the beer garden. Acoustics are not great, but it is a good little venue. The beer is crisp, and the atmosphere is charged. The staff are friendly; save the moderately narky sound guy (I think he was tired though-you get that. Lol). Not sure if food is available, but there are plenty of venues close by if you feel like a nibble. I'm quite sure that food must be available by law, so imagine this operation remains legally viable. In any case, I didn't go to eat, but to watch the band and have a few beers. I got both; Dive Bar did not disappoint. Hats-off to the proprietor for hosting live entertainment. Well done! I'll be back.

I’ve been to Vinnies a few times now, mainly to support a friend playing gigs there, and it’s quickly become one of my favourite local spots. The atmosphere is always buzzing — laid-back, genuine, and full of good energy. It’s the kind of place where everyone’s there for the music and a good time. The staff are friendly, drinks are reasonably priced, and the sound quality for a small venue is actually really solid. Whether you're into live music or just want a cool, unpretentious spot to hang out, Vinnies is well worth checking out.

Went to Vinnies dive bar to watch Aussie indie band, Telenova. The venue is small but "cosy" and likely to hold 200 people. Basically two rooms with a stage each and a shared bar at the rear. Small courtyard and smoking/vaping area out back. Venue supports Australian acts however does attract the odd international. This venue doesn't pretend to be anything other than a small live music venue that supports the arts and music in all its forms. No food onsite however many awesome food places nearby. Best to use public transport as only street parking nearby. Tram station directly out front of the venue. If you love the arts and local music, definitely check this place out.

I would like to say a massive thank you for all your efforts, time spent and the overall smooth running of our wedding event that occurred on 20 May 2025. We were beyond amazed at how beautiful the set up was and how lovely your service and staff were during our event. We felt such a breath of fresh air (literally with the stunning day the gods put on for us) knowing our wedding was catered for and handled so well.. We are so thankful to have found Currumbin Surf Club to hold our special day. The views were absolutely stunning and we had some beautiful photos captured down on the beach. Thank you Stacey and staff, we could not have asked for a better host and person to look after us. Highly recommend if your planning a wedding or other event. Food was delicious and well catered for the number of people we had at our wedding, the location and parking was a breeze. The overall lead up from me arriving after the groom was so smooth and carefree. Our wedding was perfect!!

The service was fabulous can’t say enough about our evening there so thank you so much my friends were impressed m.

It was a nice atmosphere but the venue is quite tired. The gents toilets were small and not somewhere you’d want to need to go to. Food range was good and the brisket burger was ace. Kids meals were great and well sized. Steak was fine but more tough than anything. The prawns in the surf and turf weren’t great, as they swam in a seafood chooser type option and didn’t taste great. It’s nice being on the sea with the city in the background. Service was nice and friendly. I feel bad given 3 stars but the steak really brought down the average from a solid four stars.

Great food! Great service! We ordered 3 lunch specials ($15.95 each), Calamari salad, burger and schnitzel parmigiana. The calamari salad was beautiful, and they didn't skimp on the calamari! The girls enjoyed their burger and plain (picky eater) schnitzel.

Went here to catch up with a friend and was delighted with a warm place to sit and a good meal to fill my belly. There were heaters hanging above the tables so it was perfect on a cold winters day. I got the Fungi pasta bowl, my friend got The Whole Farm, cheesy garlic bread to share and we both ordered cocktails. The meal was delicious and my friend was surprised she could comfortably eat her whole meal. The cocktails were delicious (musk stick one and a passion fruit one, I don't remember the names). We went for lunch on a monday, around 1PM and booked the week before. It was quiet and a great place to catch up. Staff were friendly and pleasant, not overbearing. The bar well decorated and clean. Would absolutely recommend this place, even if it is a lil on the pricey side for retail staff wages 😅

If you want to come here. Don’t come here to eat. Just do yourself a favour and drink. I purchased a chicken parmigiana with fries. That was ok, very tasteless no flavour. The sauce that came with it I’m pretty was off. (Aioli) please get that checked. Not to mention I ordered a sauce on the QR code and 10 minutes went past and not a sauce in sight. When I mentioned it they brought me the wrong sauce. I ordered mash potatoes and for some reason it was hard and looked like a cookie. I would simply not return here

You get greeted outside with a warm welcome and guided upstairs to the warm atmosphere. Where the staff take a lot of pride in their appearance. They are dressed to impress. I was offered a great lunch deal of a Parmi and soft drink for under $20. The Parmi looked like it was deep fried then the sauce and cheeses added to be grilled. There was no ham on the Parmi. But it did still taste good. The chips were crunchy and perfectly seasoned. The portion size is great for the price. Do yourself a favour and give this place a go when you’re on holiday in Surfers Paradise or if you’re a local coke anytime. There’s a good variety on the menu. Grab a seat outside or by the. Window and watch the thrill seekers in the sling shot while you enjoy a good meal. Definately recommended

Crispy Salmon ($33.95): Dipping the salmon into the hollandaise sauce is absolutely a great idea and it’s boneless and love the crispy fish skin. The chips are also delicious and crispy. However, I’m allergic to garlics and there are garlic chips and garlics in the sauce on top of the salmon but I still tried my best to avoid them to enjoy the rest of the meal. Virgin Above The Clouds (All Mocktails $14.95): It’s pretty cool that all their cocktails and mocktails are served with a dry ice cup. The blue fairy floss also makes it look exceptional. The drink itself is quite seedy, tarted and delightful. I appreciate most of the dishes having photos on the menu and there are daily specials at very low prices but expensive if you order the same way as me. The restaurant has mostly been with many vacancies every time I pass by and the service staff are all great. Overall, it’s a 9.5 out of 10!

Really enjoyed the wide range of Australian beers. The service was good early. And the staff helpful throughout. But they got busy later, and didn't seem to have enough people on, so I was waiting for a while. The meal I had was disappointing. Bland, unseasoned, soggy meat - a massive let down. It's so easy to make pulled brisket taste good if you want to.

Outstanding burger! It is hard to find places that handmake their product. The Ed Classic was excellent. The patty was exceptional, well portioned and seasoned with great flavour. The burger sauce nicely balanced against the meat patty. The onion rings fresh, super crispy and cooked to order. Really friendly staff and awesome atmosphere. 👀 Eddie’s has a bit of a cult following among locals and travelers alike, known for its rock ‘n’ roll vibe and legendary fried chicken. Word of mouth and rave reviews brought me here. Attached to the Pink Hotel, Eddie’s Grub House has that laid-back, dive-bar charm, as you walk through the doors, and you’re immediately hit with vintage rock posters, dim lighting, and the kind of energy that says, “You’re in for a good time.” 💥Think dive-bar chic with a retro twist. The decor screams rock ‘n’ roll, with walls adorned in band posters, a playlist full of classics, and a cozy, slightly grungy feel that’s inviting yet effortlessly cool. 💁🏼‍♀️The staff here are as casual and friendly as the vibe. Happy to keep your drinks flowing, they make sure you feel right at home. 🍷A cold beer paired perfectly with the fried feast. The drinks menu is straightforward, offering everything from tap beers to some non-alcoholic options. 🍴I cannot go past the Southern Fried Chicken Tenders: These are the MVPs of Eddie’s menu. Crispy, golden perfection on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. If you try one thing here, make it this! ✨Eddie’s Grub House is the ultimate rock ‘n’ roll dive bar serving comfort food that hits all the right notes. From the legendary tenders to the chilled vibe, it’s a must-visit when in Coolangatta. This is our regular spot on holidays. Eddie’s, you’ve stolen my heart—and my taste buds.

A Gritty, No-Frills Bar with Seriously Good Burgers This grungy little spot delivers an unapologetically raw and edgy vibe—one that leaves you feeling just a little dirty, but in all the best ways. The space is tight, it can get loud (especially when live music is on), and the atmosphere leans heavily into the dive-bar aesthetic. But the food? Absolutely top-tier. These burgers might just be some of the best on the coast, with bold flavors that match the energy of the place. Pair them with a solid selection of beers, and you've got a winning combo. Despite the gritty atmosphere, families still seem to bring their kids—a surprising choice for a night out, but hey, to each their own. If you're after a spot that’s rough around the edges but delivers where it counts, this one’s worth a visit.
Rob C — Google review
I found this place prior my arrival on Maps and by looking at the menu I knew which burger I would get: The triple BBQ Heartbreaker. The biggest, the best I would say. And indeed, it is a big burger, almost too difficult to eat. I couldn't get it in my mouth with a normal bite, so that says something about the size of it! The taste was good too! I would definitely come back, but if you are with a big group it's more difficult to sit together. I really loved the burger, but speaking of dining, this is not the most charming place to visit. As I visited on my own, I found this place perfect.

Absolutely 100% recommend 😁 awesome food, a really cool, funky atmosphere. Whether you want a great meal or a couple of drinks with ya mates, I fully rate this place x5 stars all day🤘🏽
Conrad B — Google review
The burgers? What a disappointment. I don’t understand reviews that say it’s the best on the coast when our burgers were DRY AS, no sauce inside, bland in flavor, chips over salted and no sauce with them too like please chefs, put a little more love into this menu… The staff and vibes were still good and we are overall very grateful for the experience but as someone from the industry I would just like to tell people to beware of the burger reputation this place has because you might as well be disappointed. Thanks to the team for taking this review into consideration, I always leave good reviews to support local places but this burger was not made with love and taste and we felt it. All the best still :)

HOTA, Home of the Arts, is a cultural complex that offers a variety of facilities for entertainment and artistic experiences. The Gallery at HOTA is a prominent public regional gallery in Australia, showcasing diverse exhibitions and events throughout the year. It features local, national, and international artworks as well as the renowned City Collection, documenting the character of the Gold Coast and Australian art development. Formerly known as Gold Coast City Gallery, it has become an integral part of the city's arts precinct.
I’ve lived on the Gold Coast for 20 years. Recently caught the ferry from Southport. Did a walk through. Climbed to the lookout. And ended up at the museum. Meandered through and ended up at the exhibition bar for afternoon tea. A great way to spend a few hours.
Faith G — Google review
HOTA Museum is colorful and impressive from the outside, a perfect blend of art and nature. Just walking around the grounds already lifts your spirits. I was really looking forward to visiting, but unfortunately Gallery 2 was closed this time — I hope to see it on my next visit. The poster art exhibition was vibrant and beautifully captured the spirit of its era. And the view from the top floor was absolutely stunning! You can enjoy a panoramic view of the Gold Coast city and ocean — definitely worth a visit.
Ai W — Google review
Wonderful free museum experience and a welcome change of pace from the Gold Coast's beach scene. The gallery's distinctive, colourful architecture makes it a landmark in itself. The gallery spans six levels, showcasing a significant collection of Australian art. However, the best feature might be the view: head straight to the rooftop bar for a panoramic photo of the city, looking out over the Nerang River and Surfers Paradise. The entire HOTA precinct is accessible and great for exploring on foot, with beautiful parklands and a sculpture walk around the lake. It's easy to get here, either by enjoying a scenic walk or conveniently taking the HOPO ferry directly to the grounds.
A W — Google review
HOTA is more than just arts, it is located in landscaped surroundings and has three restaurants. There is a sculpture walk around the lake and a map can be downloaded from the website. There is plenty of parking and the first 4 hours are free. So whether you are into the arts or not there is something for everyone.

Attended the school eisteddfod. First time to this location. Well laid out, wheelchair friendly. There is open air metred parking. There is a bistro canteen type restaurant as well as a snack kiosk. Ample seating area both inside and outside seating areas. There is also a bar inside the venue for thirsty visitors like me. Overall, a great experience.
Colin P — Google review
It’s a spacious and nice place for families to spend time together. However, I think the exhibition could be improved. Many galleries were closed in preparation for the next exhibition, and overall, I still felt it was quite a small art center.

Lovely museum and free to enter! The artwork was wonderful to see, and the viewing deck at the top offers amazing views. Staff were lovely too. The only downside was that I wished there was more artwork to explore!

Tucked away in a hidden alley off Justin Lane, Nightjar is Burleigh's very own Rock n Roll dive bar. With live music or a DJ every night of the week, this back alley joint offers a laid-back atmosphere for some anti-establishment fun. From 7pm till midnight, you can enjoy cold beers and refreshing cocktails while soaking up the moody, low-lit vibe and mingling with enthusiastic revellers.
Hey Nightjar, I just wanted to thank Jordan and his team for finding and holding onto my bag and wallet over the weekend which I lost at the club last Friday night while on the dance floor. My cards, money and even my cigarettes where all still in the bag when Jordan returned them to me which speaks volumes for the integrity of both the staff and the patrons at the Club. Thanks again, Jaron 🌿

The location of this was hidden to the main roads and accessed in a smaller road off the highway. Close to the beach and restaurants. The security were standoffish and not very welcoming, however the bartenders were very nice and friendly. The drinks ordered were quickly made and average priced. The accessibility was open to wheelchairs as well. There is seating both inside and outside. The bathrooms are questionable due to there being many spread out in the back corridors. There was good music and a fun DJ.

Bar staff threw my drinks out after I paid for them!!! I was chatting to someone for about 3 minutes while leaving my drink on the bar, came to collect them and they had thrown them out. All staff refused to remake them and said that they generally do this when a drink has been sitting on their bar for a while. All staff were disgracefully rude and ended up asking security to kick me out because I was asking for my drinks that I paid for.

tried coming in tonight and my mate and i were told we couldn’t come in because we were ‘too drunk’. we have had maybe 6 drinks max between 6pm and 11:30pm. let’s everyone else in no worries but because we’re not females we get denied. no problem, surfers is much better anyway. go here if you’re underage, they will let you in. i’m writing this as it happened and i feel quite sober

Manager was Absolutley awful. Turned around hospo staff in the rudest manner possible. Tried to explain to him that we’re in the same game he is, and he clearly did not care. This place used to be the place to go for, for knock offs. 100% never giving them our money. Congrats on not supporting the same industry that keeps you afloat. Cheers mate.

The rudest staff I have ever experienced. Quiet Wednesday night and we were willing to spend money on a lot of drinks. Not to mention old men without masks were filming us and we were crutinized for not wearing masks. Staff were selective with who they let in and discriminated against certain friends. Do not go x

Had a terrible night there, staff is EXTREMELY rude, I went to get WATER and the bartender (dark curly hair) told me she didn’t f care if I wanted water and got me expelled. If I couldn’t get water by myself she could use other words to say it, I was never rude to her, I was not drunk, I had another 7 friends there who different from me were drinking and giving the bar money. They should staff to have manners, pretty basic. I haven’t said anything back to her because I’m polite and there is plenty places where I can go and I will.

I had such a great experience at Finns thanks to Emily behind the bar! She’s incredibly friendly, quick, and really knows how to make you feel welcome. The drinks were spot on, and she had some great recommendations that made the night even better. You can tell she enjoys what she does—it shows in the energy she brings and the way she connects with people. If you’re at Finns, definitely hope you get served by Emily—she makes the whole experience memorable!

We love this venue for dinner and drinks with friends. The manager, I think her name is Zoe, is really professional and made us feel really welcome. Recommend the Guinness pints, they are the best on the Gold Coast.
Liza — Google review
There is something truly extraordinary about Emily, the kind of bartender who redefines what it means to step behind the bar. From the very first moment she greets a guest, there is a sense of genuine warmth in her smile that immediately makes the room feel lighter, as if the entire space bends toward her kindness. Her professional grace is undeniable — the way she carries herself with effortless poise makes everyone around her feel both respected and cared for. Beyond that, Emily has a remarkable intuition for reading people, a rare gift that allows her to know exactly when someone needs a lively conversation, a quiet moment of peace, or simply a perfectly crafted drink placed before them without a single word exchanged. Her attention to detail is astonishing; she remembers not just names and orders but stories, preferences, and the little nuances that make each person feel special. There’s an artistry in how she mixes drinks — it’s more than bartending, it’s a performance, and her creativity shines in every glass, turning simple ingredients into something unforgettable. Watching her work, you can’t help but admire her confidence, which is never arrogant but instead wrapped in humility, showing how much she truly cares about her craft. She has a magnetic presence, drawing people in not by demanding attention but by exuding an authentic, natural charm that makes people feel at home. What stands out even more is her patience — she never rushes, never dismisses, and treats every guest with the same level of kindness, whether they are regulars or someone walking in for the first time. Her sense of humor is another treasure, turning what could be an ordinary evening into one filled with laughter and joy. Beyond humor, though, she has a kind of wisdom that makes her conversations linger in your mind long after you’ve left, as if she somehow knows how to speak directly to the heart. Emily’s dedication to her craft is inspiring, as she never settles for “good enough,” always finding new ways to learn, refine, and elevate what she does. She also radiates confidence in others, encouraging her coworkers, lifting them up, and fostering a sense of teamwork that makes the whole environment better. Her empathy is profound — she seems to feel what others feel, and in that connection, she creates an atmosphere of trust where people can simply be themselves. And perhaps most beautifully, Emily has a rare combination of strength and softness: the strength to handle any challenge with resilience and calm, and the softness to remind everyone that kindness and humanity are never weaknesses but the greatest strengths of all. She is, in every sense, not just an exceptional bartender but an exceptional human being, the kind of person who leaves a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to meet her.

Great bar with a great atmosphere! I’ve never had a more attentive service than I did with Eilidh, she was an absolute hoot and is a credit to this place. She could not have been more welcoming/friendly and just made the experience so relaxed and enjoyable. Will definitely be back

Rudest, most unreasonable service I’ve ever experienced- how do you expect to entertain tourists with an attitude that is is so prejudicial to anything different to your own culture ? Really disappointing- staff were completely rude and unkind. What a disappointment of a night that could have really been fun for a couple of young ladies traveling internationally and trying to just have a great time. This leaves a lasting impressions of Australian culture that is unyielding and in-compassionate. My sister and I were both dead sober and kicked out of the establishment and refused service - for being “drunk” - because we were laughing and having a wonderful time after not seeing each other for 3 years.

Very good menu for a SLSC. Simple, uncomplicated but great favours and choice compared to most clubs. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Staff were friendly and attentive. The club has great views north to south.

I went to the Club today for lunch. It has been more than a year since I was last there, but I wanted to try the new menu. I wasnt disappointed. All made onsite and everything was so fresh at great prices. Brilliant for families. We had a 4 yr old with us. Wait time from ordering to table was very good. We had cheesy garlic bread to share at the table and I ordered the trio of fish tacos, but it was a hard choice with the pulled beef brisket option. Perfect serving size and wonderful flavour. The Staff were all happy and cheery, fast to clear and clean tables, and the service was wonderful. Having games to play at the table (eg Tik Tac Toe, memory, Uno) was a great idea. Well done everyone. I will be back again to try something else. My husband had the steak sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't normally photograph my meals, but I had to share this with you.

What a fabulous outing! Spectacular views; great prices and our meals were 10/10. I ordered crusted Barra (yum) and hubby had the whiting fillets as he had them previously and enjoyed. What a lovely night out.

Beware the "non standarized" changes - seasonal veges in place of salad. There are no meals with veges unless you order a side of seasonal veges which will set you back $6. You get hit up with an extra cost. Less than impressed with my meal of lamb cutlets and veges. Cutlets not cooked, what I would consider to be undercooked and fatty but apparently "thats how cutlets are!" So for a 300gm rump, salad and mushroom gravy and undercooked cutlets and seasonal veges with 2 pieces, 1 serve, of garlic bread came to a total of $85.50. On reflection I feel this may an overcharged and will follow up. We have been going here for a few years but after tihs highly unlikely we will return.I did receive a refund for the cutlets begrudgingly done from whom I assume was the Manager after being offered a voucher (no use as it would not be used). The drinks prices are, well let me say I hope you aren't thirsty, a schooner of fifty lashes ale and a schooner of orange juice $15.70. Not a surf club menu over priced with "hidden" charges. There are better and cheaper places to eat with equally good food and affordable prices.

Voting strictly based on the food, I wasn't super impressed and wouldnt revisit. Burger was seasoned, with a crispy bun and a synthetic-y cheesy sauce. Just not a fan... Needed a brioche bun, homemade sauce and real cheese. This was not a meal I endulged in with excitement. Service was great, atmosphere quiet/empty at time of visit.

Got the Philly cheese sandwich. It was the most overcooked steak I have ever had. This made it so dry it was very difficult to chew. The cheese was just slapped on at the end, so was still cold. I was so hungry I still ate it though. If I was back in NZ I definitely would have sent it back. Not what you want after a long days travel. Chips were nice though.

Went to the Burleigh Ball festival was here and had a ball! Awesome venue for live music with great sound and atmosphere. Was an incredible opportunity to have a boogie to some local Aussie acts. Only downfall was the lack of food vendors on site. Some hot chips would have made me so happy and we left super hungry. The had a cheese balls place and a meaty kebab style food one. Think a simple burger joint would have just put the icing on the cake!

Really cool concept. A shed for some indoor seating, add some outdoor seating. Add a bunch of independent food trucks and a bar. Add a live band. What you get is a pot of awesome food and drink to pick from while relaxing to the some solid tunes. The set up means that some of the stores will rotate keeping the options fresh. Loved it and will be back again. It is in the industrial area of Burleigh near Burleigh Waters. So, don't sweat it on your way here if this is the vibe you are getting coz ur in the right place. You will need to take a car to get here, but street parking is pretty straight forward.

Very good concept, there were plenty of vendors to choose from had a big set from Atacama $35 for a big mix plate of meat + salad + chips and rice!!! The bar is big and there is live entertainment. While good to see a band at on the GC, the acoustics are terrible. Being a huge tin warehouse is bad enough but people there seem more interested in drinking and talking, which makes it all the tougher to hear a band. Won't be going there again

I've been wanting to get here since the place opened and I wasn't disappointed. A great range of BBQ that was hard to choose from, I'll definitely be back to try more. A healthy range of very tasty beer I randomly close "Blue Moon" which is a wheat beer with a slice of orange and that became our group favourite right away. I noticed lots of groups of people arriving for a weekly catch-up. Very laid back atmosphere and plenty of seating meant you could easily find a cosy spot for two or a place for a big group and still enjoy the music without having to compete with it to hear your conversation. Bring cash or use the ATM when you get there as they don't take cards. Coffee and sweets are there for dessert as well

Lucy really helped with my order. I wasn't which flavour to get, but she told me all different types. My little sister came the next week and got the wrong flavours though. Shame she didn't have the same help. Sucks to suck

My first visit to Bine could not have gone worse. Order my drink, asked for a vodka cranberry, comes out a yellow colour so I questioned the female bartender with shorter hair, asking again if it was cranberry juice and she confirmed. Walked back to my table and tasted it, was apple juice. Secondly ordered fries for the table, they came out super stale, asked the same bartender for a fresh batch of chips and she proceeded to taste one from my bowl with no gloves on and said that’s how they serve their chips here and refused to replace the bowl. Extremely disappointed with this service and knowledge of staff. Will not be back.

Bine Bar is our local.... Soooo we may be biased.. However they have the best Happy Hour daily 3 to 6pm $6 Beers which let's be honest is a rare deal down this end of the coast. The staff are friendly, and if your lucky they have some live music on. We love it here and with so many places to choose from on the coast we definitely recommend it and they always have cheap bites to eat on their special boards.

The absolute worst meal I have ever eaten on the Gold Coast and worst from Deliveroo. Menu Item is 'Pot Pie' with Creamy Mash and Buttered Vegetables. Pot was plastic throw away container and everything was cold. 'Creamy Mash' was a dried glob of potatoes. 'Buttered Vegetables' probably straight from fridge to plastic container, topped with uncooked and dry pastry. 'Buttered carrots had green ends attached. Never, ever again. Bine Bar should stick to alcohol and chicken wings or hire qualified chefs who care about what and how they cook.

Only used one spirit bottle to put 2 shots on top? And sour mix. According to cocktail menu it has 5 different types alcohol In it. Worst and weakest LIT I've had. Ive had plenty in my time. Shame really as comedy was great.

Sundays comedy night at Atrium, lovely venue, food, drinks 🍷 great service and heaps of laughter 😂

The Atrium Bar is the go on the Gold Coast to place for a night out with great old school music for dancing and good times. One of the best places to go on a Saturday night. Plenty of nicely dressed people around. The venue is kept extremely clean and the staff are very welcoming. Great way to start or finish the night.

This should be a great place for a drink and dance but someone decided to remove the bar tables and stools so there was nowhere to sit between dances. Only full couches. Not enough aircon either. Last time I went I walked straight out without even buying a drink as I'm not into standing around. I would have stayed for hours but I went home instead. With no bar tables it was uninviting.

A bartender named Braith, did an amazing job with our cocktails. Only his second shift and he made them amazing. He took his time, made fantastic conversation and delivered his services with a lovely smile. Thank you Braith, you made our night that much better🤍✨

Unfortunately Thursday 8th December the lady at the bar (black long hair black shirt)) ruined my birthday with 4 disgusting cocktails and her rude response when we complained to her that something was wrong with her cocktails! Was the second round and we decided to get all the same cocktails and we had to leave them all at the bar because were not drinkable! Music wasn’t great and I’m sorry but to be the casino in Gold Coast I expected better than that!

The mix of hot and cold seafood offered a lovely variety, and the accompanying sides. Generous portions, stunning presentation, and top-quality produce made it perfect for sharing. If you’re a seafood lover, this platter is an absolute must!

The Garden was amazing. Michael looked after us so well and made the night feel special. The food was incredible with charred meat and veggies that were full of flavour. Everything from the fresh bread to the mains was delicious and beautifully done. Highly recommend both the restaurant and Michael’s service. We have been to a lot of restaurants here in the GC but keep coming back here. Highly recommended and shared with friends and colleagues travelling this way. Thank you again.

Amazing food. One of the best meals we have had on the Gold Coast. The steak was cooked to perfection. Michael was our waiter and his recommendations were spot on. He was so knowledgeable about the menu. We can’t wait to come back again.

I had dinner at Garden Kitchen and Bar two nights in a row and each time was greeted with a warm welcome and excellent service. The eggplant lasagne on my first visit was exceptional, beautifully served with a rocket salad. The second night I had the pan roasted salmon with baby potatoes, followed by an exquisite chocolate mousse with a zesty orange accompaniment - a real treat especially on my birthday! A big shout out to the lovely waiter, Michael, whose exuberance about the menu helped me make my food decisions! A must-visit eatery if you are staying within The Star complex - and worth travelling to even if you’re not!

First of all this place had amazing food, best steak i’ve had all week (and i’d been to 3 other places the same week) and the service was absolutely delightful from our waiter Micheal who also offered to take a picture for us. Overall the food was great, the service was pleasant and the atmosphere was very lively and nice. Thank you Garden! 5/5 would definitely come again next time.

We visited for the Monday steak and Shiraz deal and were blown away by the quality of the food. The steak was cooked perfectly and paired beautifully with the wine. Live music venue
The Avenue is a night club located in Surfers Paradise, Queensland. It features regular live music, DJs, and sports screened on 16 large TVs. There is also hearty pub grub available. The club has a modern Australian theme and offers pizza or wood fired pizza as well as burgers and Italian food.
A Family-Friendly Gem in Surfers Paradise Last night, we ate at The Avenue in Surfers Paradise, arriving around 4:45 PM to a pleasant, lively atmosphere. Taking advantage of their fantastic half-price share plates (available daily between 3 and 5 PM), we found the prices incredibly affordable—a huge plus for a family of four with young children and a double pram. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of, making our experience truly memorable. We sampled four share plates: bruschetta, salt and pepper squid, loaded fries, and karaage chicken. A week prior, we had tried the pizza that was simply outstanding. Each dish was delicious. The salt and pepper squid was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and not at all stringy—a testament to its quality. The karaage chicken was equally impressive—crisp, succulent, and served with a refreshing side salad featuring soba noodles, pickled beetroot, carrot, and bean sprouts, all tied together with a delightful dressing. The loaded fries were a hit with the kids, perfectly crunchy chips smothered in a rich and yummy gravy and cheese. As for the bruschetta, it was so delicious that I found myself craving more! The portion sizes were generous, offering great value for the price. The staff truly made our evening special. Daniel, the chef, was super sweet, and Edwardo, our server, provided excellent service throughout the evening. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning. Thanks for a great evening The avenue - surfers paradise To go or not 2 go? Go!

To all of my friends and great customers that came across my way on this long journey, can't believe that this day has come. You can see my original review below, but here is my update: this place has gone to the dogs since the new owners took over a couple of years ago. Management are rude, there’s no atmosphere and a huge decline in the quality of food (not the cooking, but I’m guessing they’re trying to cut corners by ordering cheaper quality food. It shows). Can’t recommend this place anymore. It’s a real shame, because it used to be great Original review: We love The Avenue! The staff are always friendly and the food is great. One of the things we love the most is that there’s such a wide range of people there, so everyone fits in and is welcomed. Definitely a fun night out, no matter when you choose to go

Food is so good here. Ribs were cooked well melting soft $22 on specials and pizza was tasty. They have many specials like daily specials, lunch specials, tapas and happy hours.

Good setup. Quite private up the back. Disabled access from the side. Meal though was definitely hit & miss. Had the ribs which were really good. Tasty & perfectly cooked. Also had a '3 option platter' which included: 4 duck spring rolls...which were not very good at all (we both got a fishy flavour from them?!), the meat & cheese platter which was very good...LOVED the brioche toast pieces, & the garlic pizza bread which had very little garlic, but was quite nice. The one factor that shines was the service. It was great! Staff checked on us regularly & were really polite & helpful. Staff: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Prices are good & overall an ok lunch.

This dog-friendly establishment also serves superb coffee and hosts live music events on Friday and Saturday evenings.
We visited Cafe Catalina as we heard the seafood was amazing, and it did not disappoint! We tried four dishes, none of which we’d had anything similar before, and the flavours were insane. They really know what they’re doing. Sampled a few delicious cocktails while enjoying the views of the water. We will be back soon, thanks guys!

I’m pretty surprised by the positive reviews. The service here was not great. The staff were friendly enough when you could get hold of them but they often just walked past even after making eye contacting and waving them over. The chicken in my bao bun was raw, took 10+ minutes to get anyone’s attention, when I said sorry to be a pain but the chicken is raw, the guy said “okay I’ll get the chef to do something” ? Does this happen a lot? No sorry, nothing, either at the time or as I was leaving. They brought me a new one (bare minimum!) but acknowledgement there was an issue rather than acting like I was being inconvenient would have been nice. Entree prices are reasonable but pretty high for main meals. I wouldn’t have minded the raw chicken, not the end of the world, if there was any apology or confidence in the service. Friendliness goes a long way when food poisoning is on the table. It’s in a beautiful location but it’s more like an old pub/Hogsbreath style place than a nice restaurant for dinner or lunch. If the prices are going to be that high, have to pay for parking and you’ve got a location like this, it needs to be more than the experience I had.

Wonderful Cafe / Restaurant, Located across from the Broadwater. At The Broadwater Parklands Southport. Spectacular views from every seat. Very warm and relaxing ambiance. We absolutely love Café Catalina! We've been so many times now for all kinds of meals and events, and it’s always amazing. The food is consistently delicious, the cocktails and mocktails are a fave, and the vibe is just so good. Honestly can't decide whether I prefer breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner there :D The staff are always lovely, and Ant (the manager) is a total legend — he always goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome and looked after. His hospitality and genuine care for guests is what keeps us coming back time and time again. The location is beautiful too, right on the water, and it’s the kind of place you just want to keep coming back to. Highly recommend for a chill brunch, a special celebration, or anything in between.

Pretty mid, and very overpriced. Waited about 40 minutes for food (on an admittedly busy Sunday), didn’t get any interaction from servers during that time and had to approach the counter to ask where our food was. Bolognaise was watery and bland, and cost almost $40. Costs $10 to add chicken to a salad and it’s 3 small cubes. Beautiful location though, and dog friendly which I appreciated.

Restaurant
Waxy's Irish Pub and Skyline Roof Top Bar is a lively establishment located in the heart of Surfers Paradise, offering a range of hearty Irish meals at budget-friendly prices. Backpackers can enjoy a free beer with every meal purchased, making it an ideal spot for those on a budget. The pub hosts live music and performances from Wednesday to Sunday, providing an entertaining atmosphere for visitors to enjoy while savoring traditional Irish dishes.
This is a pub which is quite different from the typical restaurants. You take a seat on your own because nobody is going to usher you, order foods at the inner counter, and order drinks at the bar. After ordering the food, the cashier will give you a number sign that the server can deliver the food to your seat. Besides, there are also soft drinks available such as Coke, Sprite, Ginger Beer ($6.5), and soda water etc. Sichuan Pepper Calamari ($18): They are cut into slices instead of rings but I still enjoyed its succulent and crispy texture. It tastes superb, sour, and piquant with Sichuan pepper sauce. Curly Fries ($12): In my opinion, the texture is so much better than the regular chips. They are also very crunchy, salty, and at great portions. Both ketchup and aioli sauce the fries pretty well. In conclusion, the interior design is quite delicate, classic, wide, and there are a lot of seats, TV playing sports, and even pool tables near the front door. Fast delivery speed, great service attitude, approachable prices, large portions, and the music played represents the style of the pub. Overall, it’s definitely a 10 out of 10!
Porex P — Google review
Let me start by saying that being in a very touristy area, there needs to be some understanding to the way pubs provide service here. Unlike most countries, there is no hostess, nor proper waitstaff. If I hadn't noticed the sign at the back saying "order food here", I'd still be waiting. It's pretty much a self-serve cafeteria. Get your own drinks at the bar, order your food with a number stick, much like at a fast food burger joint, then someone delivers your food. The tables and floors were all wet and sticky from spilt food and drinks, not sure they've been cleaned in months. The food was extremely disappointing. Being on the coast, I expected a decent quality of fish and chips, not the skimpy fish sticks that we received. Not certain I would recommend this place. Leave the pubs to the Irish!
Kimberley F — Google review
Waxy's is a sure bet for good food, a good vibe and good range of Irish brews. Visited on State of Origin final to find the $8 steak special still on offer. Rear courtyard is a great place to enjoy a bevies and a convo. A much more tame atmosphere than the other 'cool' Irish pub.

“Fantastic atmosphere with a true Irish pub feel right in the heart of Surfers Paradise. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the drinks are well-priced, and there’s a great selection of beers on tap. The food is delicious and hearty – perfect pub meals with generous portions. Live music and entertainment make it a great spot for a night out, whether you’re with friends or just stopping in for a quick pint. Always a good vibe at Waxy’s – highly recommended!”

Good location right in the heart of Surfers Paradise but sadly lacking in other areas. Food is ok but alot of dishes severly lacking in portion size and usually unfriendly, indifferent staff who you have to chase from one end of the bar to the other get acknowledged let alone served. Can do without that, especially when so many other places close by.

If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal, the Palm Beach Surf Club is an excellent option. With a deck overlooking the beach, this bar and bistro offers a variety of Australian favorites as well as comfort foods. The staff is friendly and attentive, making it easy to get great service. Prices are average, with some items being slightly high. However, the view makes up for it!
You need to bring your ID (passport) to enter the restaurant, order the foods at the counter and drinks at the bar. Scotch Fillet 300g ($44): It’s served with an optional sauce (I go for hickory smoked BBQ glaze), chips and salad. I have my steak medium rare and turns out great, succulent and better than medium well as I usually had. Thick cut chips always stand out in better texture and taste than normal chips. Barbecue sauce is underrated for both steak and chips. Blueberry Spritz Mocktails ($11): It’s quite sour, tangy, sweet, delicious and suitable for such environments. Palm Beach is such a good place to check out and you can simply come here by 700 or 777 buses. There are quite some tables on the terrace where you can clearly see the ocean, Burleigh Heads and distant buildings north. To sum up, the cashier and bartender have great attitudes. The only shortcoming is that the menus have an odour. The prices can be quite high but definitely worth a visit and the foods are excellent. Overall, it’s a 9.5 out of 10!

We had a table on the balcony with nice view of the beach. It was order at the counter service but staff were all nice. The calamari was soft and lightly coated in batter and chips cooked until perfectly crunchy. Chicken schnitzel with choice of sauce (we chose mushroom) was also good. Perfectly good pub food.

The food serving size was moderate for the pricing but great quality. The sweet potato chips were great, the beef Bao buns were delish, and the Korean chicken was so tasty! Some People had the fish, others the steak or the main salads and everyone was pretty happy overall so no complaints about the satisfying meals. We will definitely come here again!

Den Devine Restaurant & Music Hall is a popular spot on the Gold Coast, known for its amazing food, generous portions, and excellent service. It's not just a restaurant; it's also a strong supporter of live music, providing the perfect atmosphere for jazz and acoustic performances. The Mediterranean menu offers delicious tastes from various countries, and the organic red wine from Italy is highly recommended. I paid $23.90 for a Caesar salad without any protein — just some lettuce, a very small amount of bacon, less than 3g of Parmesan cheese, and one poorly prepared poached egg (and I hadn’t even asked for a boiled egg). If I wanted to add protein, it would have cost an extra $7.90, making the total $31.40. Honestly, paying $23.90 for what was basically just lettuce with almost no cheese and very little bacon was really disappointing. Definitely not worth the price.

Lunch on a Sunday, a walk on the beach and a lunch at the Broadbeach Tavern. Four of us in total. Nice general feel, open layout and although there was a slight smell of cleaning product that is way better than pub smell of cigarettes, spilled grog and despair. The layout is good with plenty of room and it was light and airy. We ordered ; a corn and zucchini fritter burger with large fries; very nice. Was not sure it would work but the sauce brought it all together and I was impressed. Chips were hot and fresh. The pumpkin salad; the salad bit was okay although the tinned beetroot was tasteless and the pumpkin was boiled and flavourless. Probably the worst salad ever eaten. Thai beef salad; Overall it was quite nice but the steak was over cooked, dry and tough The Caesar salad; went down a treat. Nice touch with the oozing boiled egg left on top to cut into as you started. Nice. And too much salt used in preparation. We were all gagging for water after eating. Helped with the beautiful beer. So nice to have a decent pint on the menu. Personally, I think pub menus should be approached with the attitude of what can be mucked up the least. Steak is always going to be an issue as it needs to be cooked perfectly and lets face it it is expensive. So if the meal is not expensive then the steak will be rubbish. Table staff were efficient but not effusive. A great spot and so close to the beach.

There are both entrances to the tavern inside and outside of the mall. Menu is in the QR code and you order the foods at The Kitchen and drinks at the bar. Fish & Chips ($28): I appreciate how big the portion size of the battered fish is served with a reasonable amount of tartar sauce. It tastes absolutely amazing with extra crispy coating and fresh fish dipped with delectable tartare sauce. I’m also glad that the chips are chunky ones instead of the regular French fries because they have superior texture and better taste in my opinion. In addition, for non-alcoholic drinkers/drivers, soft drinks, Goulburn Valley juices, Lemon Limes & Bitters cost $4.2, $4.4, and $4.8, respectively. It’s on the east end of The Oasis Shopping Centre and quite near the tram station. If you want to eat while seeing ocean views with beach, the surf club inside the parking lots might be a better option. The ocean isn’t near enough to be seen and mostly blocked by trees. However, on the other hand, there are a big huge screen and a bunch of TVs playing sports and it can be beneficial for sports lovers. To top it off, top 3 tavern in the Gold Coast, one of the best fish & chips since I was little, great cashier and bartender, reasonable prices, and nice location, 10 out of 10!

I used to come for rib eye with blue cheese sauce, veggies and mash in the past as I fell in love with this meal. Then something changed with the menu and the blue cheese sauce disappeared - I was the saddest girl in the Gold Coast 😭😅. Recently I had a look at the menu and I noticed the sauce is back - and last night I had the pleasure of ordering my feel-good meal again. I ordered through the app, it was nice and easy. The long waiting times were noted there (no surprise, the place was packed), the food arrived earlier though - yay! I was not disappointed - everything was just as I remembered it, cooked perfectly, with a perfect sized portion. The highlight of the evening was the waitress asking if everything is okay with my meal - they don't do it everywhere :) (everything was SO GOOD hehehe) Second highlight - the music! The playlist was so good, I was vibing and I'm in my mid 30s but there was a couple of teenage girls at a different table with their family and they were also loving it 😁 I am not a master photographer but I attached a photo of my meal with wine for reference 😜

The breeze from the park leading to the beach was just wonderful. A three hour talk with a good friend over delicious food with yummy drinks says it all. I had the best time!

Flew in from Adelaide starving with a group of 7. A few of us got the Tomahawk steak, the steak and toppings were great. But, the salad and coleslaw were horrendous. The shredded carrot and beetroot on the top was so dry it was turning white and snapping in half. The coleslaw was definitely off, smelt like feet and tasted like play dough.

We had a week away from Ipswich and stayed at Wyndham Resort Kirra Beach. My wife's birthday 🎂 was during the that week, so took her to Twin Towns Services Club. Excellent meals that we both enjoyed immensely. Even went back again before returning home. Great service, thanks to the wonderful staff also. E.E.B.

My band played a gig today in the main auditorium and their tech staff were amazing! What a room. Fantastic sound and lighting facilities and an amazing stage space to play on. From both our perspective and also from an audience perspective the venue is an absolute pearler. A real peak experience for a performer.
Ian S — Google review
Never again. Food was ordinary. Service was worse. Had a group of around 30 people in for dinner. One elderly 78yr old man with a bandaged leg and limping accused of being drunk (was not drinking). After this everytime someone went to the bar and brought more than 1 drink was questioned where they were going and who it was for. Hunted by egotistical security for doing absolutely nothing wrong. Members of our group were cut off after 2 beers. To be honest we were dumbfounded by the manor in which we were treated given not a single member of our group put a foot wrong. That is 32 less people who will patron your club. Disgraceful

The accommodation was upgraded, and this was done through no fault of TTSC or us. This was offered, and we accepted Signatures bar and breakfast were wonderful and well presented with great service and excellent food as photos will testify Our stay was lovely, and the ease of parking along with access to lobby trolley was very helpful. Well, it's worth a visit and stay. I look forward to another visit.

The Mermaid Beach AEME Surf Life Saving Club is a family-friendly venue located in a quiet section of the Gold Coast beach. It offers a relaxed atmosphere with stunning views and delicious meals. The club features a kids' room with entertainment options like a jungle gym, play stations, and TV screens. Visitors can enjoy restaurant meals, gaming, live music, and drinks at the bar. The staff is known for their friendliness and accommodating nature, making it an ideal spot for families.
Consistently good food from here, had live music on a few times too. Both of these meals were on the special menu - both tasted incredible and were executed perfectly as you can see. 100% worth the money.

The food here was ridiculously good. We got two appetizers, two adult mains and two kids meals. The kids pizza is the size of a dinner plate and my picky four year old smashed half of it. We got the bao and the garlic bread for the appies. The bao were like fluffy little clouds with perfectly cooked pork belly. The adult mains were the Thai scallops which was like a sweet Penang curry with a generous amount of scallops. The other main was the seafood pasta which came with a giant butterflied grilled prawn on top. All the food was piping hot and fresh. It was a busy night and yet hardly any wait. Really enjoyed it and will be back next time we’re in the area.
Kieren J — Google review
Fantastic meals — we were spoiled for choice with such variety. We absolutely loved our selections, especially the scallops and the vegetable salad. Dessert was another tough choice, as they were all amazing too. We had the crunchy choc cheesecake and the lemon meringue tart. Mmm mmm

Mermaid beach surf club sits across from Mermaid beach and the beautiful Mermaid statue..We sat on the balcony next to a window and had a great view of the ocean..The staff are all lovely..I ordered the baked brie which was delicious and then I had lemon meringue tart(yum). My friend had a chicken parmi which was very thick but a little dry but still nice ..I also bought some homemade hot cross buns which are so good..highly recommend..

We visited Mermaid Beach Surf Life Saving Club today for lunch and were honestly blown away. Usually with surf clubs, you come for the ocean views and casual vibe — and accept that the food might be a bit of an afterthought. Not here. My husband and I ordered the seafood chowder, which came beautifully presented with a grilled scallop in the half shell perched on top of the thick luscious soup paired with micro greens and two slices of grilled sourdough on the side — fresh, comforting, and full of flavour. We also had the satay chicken (with extra sauce on the side — trust me, you’ll want to drink it) and a small vermicelli salad for something light and fresh. The standout was the chicken surf and turf, served on the bone with creamy mash and a generous serve of seafood. Everything was cooked perfectly — juicy chicken, fresh veg, and nothing skimped on. The atmosphere wasn’t anything fancy at lunchtime on a Friday — your classic surf club setup — but by the time we left, the place was buzzing with tradies finishing their shifts. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, which always makes a difference. We’ll definitely be back — not just for the view, but because the food deserves it. A hidden gem!
Amanda C — Google review
Atmosphere is a 10 out of 10. Just pay close attention to your food order we ordered the Gold Band Snapper special which was anything but special. I told them at the counter and ordered calamari and pork ribs. They were out of this world good! So an $80 mistake was not rectified by the staff but the replacement starters were awesome. I’d say go to the regular menu and avoid the specials you’ll be good. Staff are nice and friendly but can’t really handle if the kitchen undercooks the special for 2 people. I’d suggest putting the food down then checking in on the result to the staff. Drinks great area great only the description and delivery of 2 of 8 mains were faulty. Could have fixed it up but we heard nothing from the staff after sharing it was subpar. All good it’s a great spot!

One50 Public House is a lively waterfront spot in Surfers Paradise, offering a taste of NYC with its classic east coast watering hole ambiance. The restaurant serves local beef and seafood dishes alongside cocktails and craft beers. With live music most nights, it's an ideal place to unwind with friends. While parking can be tricky due to its popularity, the atmosphere and food are top-notch. Visitors recommend trying the duck spring rolls and praise the selection of tap beers and cocktails.
I have been to One50 a few times and its always great! The food is delicious and fresh, the atmosphere is perfect for a good night out and the long Island iced teas are very easy to drink! I had my Christmas party there and the staff were super friendly and very patient with taking the orders of my mildly intoxicated colleagues, there was live music too and everyone had the best time! 10/10 highly recommend

Stingray Lounge is a hip and upscale hotel lounge with an industrial-chic interior. It features weekend DJs, Mexican-focused bar eats, and a great cocktail list that revolves around the bars' equally impressive selection of 50 tequila varieties. The lounge's decor is stylish and uniquely Californian, making it a great spot for cocktails and tacos in Surfers Paradise.
The vibe was awesome, great atmosphere. The staff was amazing, very nice, welcoming, and thoughtful. They made an effort to ensure everything was okay. The drinks were amazing, and the food was delicious. Everything just came together perfectly. Overall great service and great food and drinks, definitely worth coming back again.

The food is good. The drink is very good. However, the reason of 1 star is that it’s often closed. We try to go due to the Google time or called in advance (but no direct calls and no answer from the other number). We used to ask one of the staff about the service time and we try to come again on the day they said it was open…but it was closed again. We have been trying and disappointed most of the time. We tried 100 times and it was open only for 2 times that we went. I think this is already the end and no more chance to disappoint ourselves again.
Suchinda K — Google review
Pretty disappointed. They choose when they decide to open on a Sunday. Came for drinks at 5pm before a booked anniversary dinner at Yamagen and they were shut. Google said they are open until 10pm. We asked and Reception said ‘sometimes they open, depends on the outside area’. Not ideal as it’s a great bar to visit before dining on some epic food at Yamagen

Guys the nachos were made to order, that was so gooood, and tasty. Right out of the fryer. The staff were also extremely friendly, unfortunately we order the QT Nachos and they had guacamole without mentioning that in the menu. My wife can’t eat avocado and they kindly change for us. Drinks were also so so good. Nice spot within QT hotel
Sebastian B — Google review
Food was underwhelming. We ordered the pork riblets, expecting smaller versions of pork ribs ie. meat cooked on the bone. But it turned out to be processed meat shaped into fake "ribs", the kind you get in a Macca's McRib burger. Misleading at best - this should be labelled honestly on the menu as meatloaf or meat patty instead of calling it riblets. Sirloin steak was cooked medium rare as requested but it was bland and chewy. Highlight of the night was the sweet potato fries. The venue is half restaurant, half bar with plenty of seating options. Service was good. The bartender who took our order was friendly and food came out quickly. It's a shame the food didn't match the service.
Orange_tree_au — Google review
We stayed at QT for a few nights and everything was great everywhere else. However, checking out the taco Tuesday night here was pretty disappointing. The food was alright, tasty but a bit cold and long wait times. The drinks were nice but the wait times again were long. The service wasn’t great - the staff seemed unsure how to take orders, charging wrong amounts as per the menus, giving us the wrong food, not taking drink orders to the table despite giving us a table number, no plates or cutlery available and food served in cardboard boxes. The manager tried really hard to accomodate but unfortunately just very disorganised overall.

This place is out of this world amazing. So very glamorous Pizza, one of the best I've ever eaten Fantastic staff Couldn't recommend any more. It's just stunning. 5 star all the way.
Debbie H — Google review
Of all nights to visit… I picked election night! The TVs were covered in football, like an oasis from real life. Design and ambience is what you’d expect from a swanky bar/restaurant attached to an equally swanky hotel. I ordered my pedestrian beer, served with a smile from wonderful staff… and a $32 roast. It had the potential to be amazing. The meat was slow cooked well, mash was creamy, but all luke warm compared to the mushroom on top that was hotter than the surface of the sun. Also, perplexingly, they had a medallion of pre packaged cultured butter (great choice!) but the bread option was a rubbish mass produced white roll, that didn’t seem fresh at all. The base idea for the dish; great! The execution: needs some work, particularly at the price point. Overall the experience was fine, and wasn’t bad, but I feel the space doesn’t know what is truely is in its soul. Also not a fan of the fake pot plants everywhere.

Shark Bar, located on the Gold Coast, is a popular live music venue that hosts barbeques, bikini girls, and live bands every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. The place caters to all genres of live music and offers something for everyone. While it may not have a wide selection of drinks, the venue is known for hosting good bands and creating a vibrant atmosphere. The staff are generally friendly and helpful.
My favourite local pub. I have been there more than once to watch reggae shows and also rock concerts. It is a very nice place to watch local groups' concerts and have a cold beer in Miami

Went for a Butterfingers gig and was happy. The venue while quite small was great with the crowd and made it feel full. Good acoustics. Would go back to see another show at that venue.
Phorty P — Google review
This place always gets the good bands, possibly the only venue that touring bands play locally. Which is unfortunate as the sound upstairs isn't the best and can totally ruin the gig. The bar staff are generally friendly, I found it to be hit and miss with security...not literally! I'd recommend having a few beers beforehand as the selection isn't very varied.

Terrible staff at the bar. Went to a reggae night and the service at the bar was incredibly slow and the treat to the customer was the worst I have seen so far in Australia. Really arrogant and rude barmaid (and as I found out by my friends, it wasn't just her..) She treated us as if she was superior and not even paid much attention to what we were ordering. It was 2 of us and we ordered 3 and 4 beerd. 7 in total. We wanted to pay separate (3 in one card and 4 in the other) and she said NO. After explaining her that was what we ordered for from the beggining, she took the 2 cards. I asked for the eftpos receipt to check it as she didn't say the price at any moment and just left both cards together at the bar, but she wouldn't give it to me... And to top off, she made two of my friends be kicked out for no reason (we think it's because the receipt issue.. but can't assure as they give no explanations). It was our first drink of the night, and they were not allowed to finish it nor to get a refund + they missed the concerts... Thank you beautiful soul, hope life gives you what you deserve.

Being a local I’ve been coming to this pub for years and never had a problem. Last night bein the long weekend my girlfriends and I come from home after only a handful of drinks and we were served by KHALIA which rudely rejected my girlfriend and said “your friend can have water” without even speaking to her and while serving overly intoxicated patrons! I’d understand if she was intoxated and stumbling but that was definitely not the case. Khalia, your a hospitality employee that’s meant to providing service with a smile on your face and not bluntly and rudely rejected locals for no reason. Bar staff need to be more professional and more friendly when dealing with people. I understand it’s shark bar and not a cocktail bar but still extreamly disappointing being my local. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

Concert was amazing but venue gets HOT, like scary hot, like dont wear pants or anything hot, like its going to seriously dampen (pun intended) your excitement if your from a cooler country (like Canada) hot. I'm usually up in front but couldnt take the, what could of been and probably was, 40+ degrees during the final band. Wore a pair of shorts and a tank and was able wring sweat outta them by the end of the show even tho I retreated to an area at the back and wasnt able to actually see the band play there :( At least the bar kept making sure water was easily available and the ticket wasnt outrageous but a bit of AC and air circulation was very much needed

Compliment to the chef, we order the sticky pork rib and sirloin steak and this both dish are super tasty and delicious!! The pork rib really tender and tasty the meat come of the bone by itself, what a great dinner we have!! And i love the stone wood beer, refreshing !! Really a great experience have dinner here!!

First time here and really enjoyed it. Seating is a little limited, especially if you want to enjoy the view. The food, while the food we ordered was very nice, we did notice a lot of half eaten burgers around on different tables. Be that, that they couldn't finish it because they were full or they didn't enjoy them. While on food, having taken a stroll onto the rooftop to look out over the airport, I did notice an industrial warmer with stacks of beef patties and chicken schnitzels that appeared to be precooked and waiting. A really good selection of wine, beers and spirits to tempt everyone.
Dennis F — Google review
The food was pretty good, I won't lie, however haloumi is difficult to get right and ours was bordering on rubbery. Flavours were good & chips were nice & fresh. The aioli sauce was a nice touch The birds constantly trying to swoop in and get your food was annoying. Service was pretty good, no complaints there.

Super cute diner vibe. Big tv, great food and good views. Friendly and helpful staff. Happily recommend. The beef burger was delicious and the deep fried flathead was fantastic...the batter around the fish was amazingly delicious. Good comfy vibe. Be prepared to pay a little more though.

We visited the Salty Fox on a Sunday afternoon to take in the live music and to try the food on offer. The venue offers a great view and beautiful ambiance, with friendly staff and beautiful cocktails; the bar staff even made me a special mocktail on request which was very nice. We ordered the Tempura Prawns and Pork Belly mains. The pork belly was very dry and hard to cut, and there were little to no sides, which left me very hungry indeed. The prawns were literally just 5 deep fried prawns and barely any dipping sauce. We had to ask for more sauce as they were quite bland and dry without it. While they were tasty, they were very small servings and quite expensive. I probably wouldn't recommend coming here for a full meal, while these are great snack options, they will set you back the same cost of a full meal at a restaurant. Quite pricy. We decided to have a dessert as we were still hungry. I had the Mango Mess, which was nice once again but not great, not enough meringue or mango and way too much cream. The tiramisu had a really strange flavour (very different to other tiramisu we've had in the past). Unfortunately, we left half of it as we didn't enjoy it. All in all its a lovely spot for an afternoon drink with friends, but I wont be ordering any food next time.
Xandra W — Google review
Worst customer service I’ve had in my life, if you have a voucher don’t go here. The food was very average, Tempura Prawns were too hard and crunchy the batter, struggled to cut it with a steak knife. The steak was very average, not a good quality steak but they did cook it medium which is what I asked. The Pork Belly was the best food choice but not the best I’ve had. There was no crackle, it was just soft. The thin beetroot with it was too crispy and hard and the asparagus was burnt chargrilled and quite hard. Love the view but don’t like the live music vibe. Felt awkward, nobody gave me menu, nobody came to my table to ask if I wanted to order anything. I didn’t get asked how my food was, no staff came to my table at all. I paid for it in advance and they had problems with putting the number through, the 2 girls were rude there and mainly stared at me. The guy there was helpful, he said I could email him the voucher that I paid for. They forgot my drink that I ordered and paid for and then didn’t believe I paid for it. Had to wait 15 minutes and talk to 4 people just for 1 of them to go through all the receipts to find my payment and they finally go gave me my other drink. Gave it 2 stars due to the nice View and the Pork Belly was pretty good. Don’t think I’ll be back, so many mistakes I had to keep going back. It was a disaster! 😟
