週末恒例の振り返り特集で、今週はこのサンディエゴと別口コミのニューオリンズのUS特集にしました。 サンディエゴは、メキシコ・ティファナに近くオールドタウン等ありますし、カリフォルニア州ネイビーの基地がある町でもありますが、まぁまぁあまり観光してはいないのでよくわかりません。 大学の卒業旅行US一周の旅以来２回目です。 メキシコは、ティファナ以外はNY駐在さん時代にカンクーンに行った程度です。やはり、周辺だとカナダの方が気楽によく行きましたね。モントリオール、ケベック、ナイアガラ等東部はドライブで行けたし!

バスやトロリーの駅がすぐ近くにあり移動に便利です。綺麗に清掃されていて、ショップやレストランがたくさんあるので年齢を問わずに楽しめる場所だと思います。公園の中に入るとマップをもらえます。

古い街並みを期待して来てみたら、観光客用に土産物店や飲食店を集めた場所だったのは少し残念。 でもゆっくり買い物と食事をする人は、お金と時間を消費出来るから良い👍

カリフォルニアの発症と言われるメキシカンな歴史の残る地。 アメリカでメキシコを感じられます。 メキシコの色鮮やかなチャ－ミングなデコレーションやお土産は写真映えするものばかりです。

カリフォルニア発祥の地、理由は湧き水があったから入植したそうだが、元々は原住民の土地を銃の力で奪った場所。今はお土産屋やいろんなお店とかもあり、のどかで楽しめる。

潮風を感じながらハイキングができる場所です。陸のみのコースと、海岸沿いを歩くコースがありますが、後者は潮が引いている時のみなので注意が必要です。無料駐車場はありますが、夏など海水浴の時期にはすぐ近くの有料駐車場か、路上のコインパーキングに停めるしかありません。しかもこれが少々高いので星4つです。

断崖の上は絶景!! ビーチも綺麗!! しかしそこまでの経路は過酷!! 革靴で行く所ではない!!

デルマーからラホーヤに下る途中にある海岸線と崖地からなる自然保護区です。丘の上にはいくつかの遊歩道が整備されています。私はRazor Pointコースを往復しましたが、所要時間は１時間程度でした。荒涼とした草地のなかの砂地の遊歩道をテクテクゆくと、崖の上から海岸線を眺める展望台に着きます。海には一隻の船もなく、光と空と海と風を感じることができます。まぁそれだけです。展望台には、なにやら悩みを抱えた様子で会話をするおばちゃんたちが数組いました。遊歩道は多少の高低差があり、砂地なので歩きにくく、往復すると冬でもうっすら汗をかきました。真夏はきつそうですね。駐車場は丘の上にありますが、有料($20)です。少しお高いですね。私は丘のふもとの海岸線を走る道路沿いに停めました。無料ですが、丘に上がるのに30分ほどかかります。時間と体力に余裕がある方にはおすすめです。

The walk was short & sweet. The distance to the lookout and the suspension Bridge is short from either side of the park entrance but if you do go from the el camino real side, you have to go up the steps.
