Sushi restaurant
Japanese restaurant
Sushi Gen is a beloved spot in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, known for its traditional Japanese preparations and lunch deals. It's popular among locals for its reasonably priced, high-quality nigiri selection and the $23 weekday lunch special that includes sashimi, soup, salad, and rice. The serene wood-paneled sushi bar setting offers fresh halibut, fatty tuna, sea urchin, monkfish liver, scallops, and oysters in the evenings.
Came here again for my Birthday celebration and it did not disappoint. It’s worth the waiting time. Sat at the bar section and even got served by one of my favorites chefs. Each piece was handcrafted to person. The right amount of flavor sprinkled on each sashimi. Melt in your mouth. Other than your normal cuts of fish, the chef has some off the menus specialties if you are lucky enough to get served. The meal is quite expensive but worth every penny. Special occasion is highly recommended to celebrate here.

So I’m coming back from Downey (don’t ask), handling some property stuff, and I call up a friend. He just happens to be nearby, and like true sushi soldiers, we decide to meet at Sushi Gen — because of course, that’s what everyone does when they’re within a 10-mile radius of Little Tokyo and feel like standing around hungry for 45 minutes questioning their life decisions. The wait? Classic. 30–45 minutes, which gives you just enough time to spiral into existential dread while the host gives zero indication you even exist. But finally — we get seated. It was my friend’s first time. He’s a hardcore sushi guy, like the kind who judges you if you say “sushi roll” with too much excitement. We both ordered the hamachi kama (yellowtail collar), sashimi set, and sprinkled in some extra bits of raw sea treasure. Here’s the thing: Sushi Gen is good. The kind of good that makes you nod in polite satisfaction while thinking, “Yeah, okay, I get it.” But in today’s world of sushi arms races and omakase wars, being consistently good is starting to feel like showing up to a Formula 1 race in a Toyota Camry. Reliable, yes. Exciting? Meh. Fish quality? Still solid. Experience? Nostalgic and humble. But if you’ve had a tour through LA’s newer spots, it’s hard not to notice Sushi Gen’s staying kind of… still. I give it a respectful 3.8 stars. My friend? Brutal. A hard 2 and said he’s never going back. Might’ve been the wasabi betrayal. Who knows. But since you made it this far, let me reward you. If you want a spot that blows Sushi Gen out of the miso soup — go to Fisherman’s Table in Huntington Beach. That place is criminally underrated. Like, “why is this not packed every night” levels of good. You’re welcome. Now forget I told you.

Went for opening a few minutes before 4PM on a Saturday and there was already at least 30 people before me. I still narrowly managed to get in and secure one of the last tables. I ordered the dinner sashimi set with an extra side of very fatty tuna (loved it). The fish quality was good, and more than reasonable for this price point. I can see why folks line up early for this spot. Very friendly staff too.

Excellent food and service! All of the food was very fresh, with a number of not so common options. I was impressed with the size of the fish and rice on the nigiri. The fish was fairly large and the rice was smaller than many restaurants. Favorites were salmon belly and yellowtail belly. The staff was nice enough to help me with getting a copy of my receipt several days after my visit. Much appreciated and highly recommend Sushi Gen.
Jeanlyn Y — Google review
All of the nigiri is delicious here. The seafood is so fresh, and I like how there is less rice in each piece of sushi compared to other places. The service is also amazing, the sushi chefs are so cool! As others said, I would highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar. Although the lunch menu is a pretty good deal, sitting in front of the bar and being able to observe the process is awesome. You can also get inside the restauraunt a lot quicker by choosing the sushi bar. The chefs are so talented! Besides that, the atmosphere is comfortable and feels authentic to other restauraunts my family and I have visited in Japan. I will definitely be coming here again!

Loved the sushi!! A long line but worth the wait. Great value , good variety and worth the 1.5 hour drive. In the middle of a lot of shops to make the wait go busy, just wished I wasn’t hurried away and forced to chug my beer. Staff was not the friendliest, I know they need to turn over tables but dang!! I had only spent 25 minutes from sitting down to eat and being wished away. Even after that still would come back for the quality of food.
Miguel G — Google review
I stopped by during lunch and had the best sushi experience ever! They offer a variety of sushi combinations for lunch, and the service is quick despite the long wait in line. I ordered the Sashimi Deluxe, which was generous (enough for two people, perhaps?). The Special Giant Clams were also a highlight - fresh and juicy!
Jenny C — Google review
I am not sure how anyone could give this place anything BUT a five star. First I tried sitting at a table first time was good second time at bar BUT if you’re not with a buncha ppl trynna talk you should sit at the bar it’s faster and a lot more fun cool experience where they straight up give you the sashimi and sushi as you order it they cut it right in front of you. Now onto the food…SUPER FRESH tasted AMAZING better than any sushi I’ve ever had in the U.S. it was out of this world it was expensive sure but every dollar was worth it and I’ve never felt that ways about any other food but THIS WAS SO WORTH IT. Highly recommend giving a try to sea urchin, you might not like it I didn’t b it’s a must try and is fresh. Also the other dishes are amazing too toro (fatty tuna) and others all amazingggg I just idk words cannot describe how good it is. I would fly to LA just for this restaurant it’s so good I can’t even imagine how good it would be in Japan itself but this is as close as you’re gonna get to actual Japan for a sushi shop in the states. If you have time STOP BY HERE the sashimi and sushi to die for and service is super great and fun nicest waitors and waitresses and the three guys working the bar are amazingggg (forgot their names tho so sad rip wish k remembered but my memory is bad and it’s been a few weeks haha)

Sushi restaurant
Sushi Kiriko is a modest yet inventive Tokyo-style sushi and Japanese tapas eatery located in Los Angeles. Established in 1999, the restaurant's chef-owner, Ken Namba, draws inspiration from the innovative sushi restaurants in Tokyo to offer an authentic Japanese experience. The menu features a mix of traditional and nontraditional dishes, including cherrywood-smoked Copper River salmon with mango, as well as a variety of silvery fish not commonly found elsewhere.
Kiriko is one of my favorite japanese restaurants in Los Angeles, their sushi is prepared with the freshest fish in the market. We went for an early Sunday dinner, the restaurant was not as busy as the week days, the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. We had assorted sashimi, tempura, eel and avocado rolls, crab rolls, tuna rolls and yummy miso soup. Each dish was an art piece and every bite was an explosion of flavors; a delicate and unique palate experience. The chefs welcomed their clients with friendly smiles and loud voice while preparing everybody’s dishes. Experts with the knife and talented artists of zen cuisine, they made us feel as happy and comfortable as dining at a friend’s home.

I saw this place on the YouTube show First We Feast and did the chef tour, where he made us whatever he wanted. It was expensive, over $300 for two expensive, but we both experienced dishes we never dreamed of. Vinegar jelly over exotic cuts of fish kind of amazing. I felt like Anthony Bordane but less burnt out. If you don't want to do the bank breaker, chef's call, everything else is guaranteed good.

I’ve had a lot of sushi and this is one of the best places I’ve ever been. The sashimi special is to die forrrrr

Restaurant
Nozawa Bar is a hidden gem located within the Beverly Hills Sugarfish. It offers an exclusive 10-seat sushi bar experience, where guests are treated to a 22-course omakase meal. The renowned chef Osamu Fujita curates impeccably fresh fish served on warm rice, creating a dining experience that pays homage to the traditional art of sushi.
Everything was fantastic. The vibe was very casual which is very California. Some may prefer a more formal affair but it very much suited my sensibilities. Everything was similar in quality to what I've had in Tokyo but obviously much more expensive. Price-wise.... It's about the best you can expect in LA. Most everything more expensive has been disappointing, anything cheaper is missing something critical to the omakase experience. Frankly I'm surprised by how many high end sushi restaurants don't even use real wasabi or serve the very same omakase menu all the time. I'm probably not going to be eating sushi much anymore except in Korea or Japan in the future, the gap between cost and what you get in America is too wide these days. But I'd make an exception for Nozowa Bar. I'd like to experience it at least a few more times before he retires. Honestly with all the LA favorites shutting down I'm curious how this is profitable. $2250 twice a night 6 days a week is $1.4m a year. Which sounds like a lot but given a staff of 4-5 plus prices for ingredients, I feel like I've seen places that should be pulling in twice as much go out of business. It's possible they're leveraging sugarfish to make the books work, but it's also a pace that can wear a man to his bones, so if I were you I'd enjoy this experience at least once considering how fast the food scene in LA changes so much. Minor complains, the design of the restaurant puts the omakase room unfortunately close to the restrooms but the soundproofing is decent. Having complained about ostentatious omakase extensively in the past it's a bit hypocritical to suggest the fare at Nozowa Bar could stand to be more creative, but I wouldn't sacrifice anything of what they've currently cultivated just for the sake of novelty.
Jed K — Google review
One of the best sushi experiences in Los Angeles. The food is outstanding, and watching the chef prepare everything right in front of you in such an intimate, exclusive setting with just a few other guests makes it truly special. Totally worth it. The staff is incredibly professional. A must-visit if you love sushi in LA.
Chef T — Google review
A Michelin-rated omakase sushi restaurant hidden inside of one of Los Angeles’ beloved Sugarfish locations. It’s almost like a speakeasy but for sushi! Definitely make reservations since they only seat 10 people per session. Chef Sada has recently taken the reins for the restaurant and does not disappoint! The quality of the freshness of the seafood here is top notch! I’ve been to a few sushi and omakase places and the quality definitely stands out! To really get an idea, I would try get a few omakase places under your belt before coming here to throughly appreciate it. My favorite bite was the Santa Barbara Uni! The contrast in temperature and flavor was so pure!! There’s no flairs or gimmicks and is pretty traditional. The space is a traditional wooden bar-style seating so you’ll get to see Chef Sada and team work their magic. Overall, wonderful experience and would love to come back!
Sky T — Google review
This is definitely a treat! It’s a limited 9 seated private omakase dining experience. The chef is always entertaining and the quality of the food is fantastic! The courses are always fresh and simple but the best is their rice!
Jennifer O — Google review
Delicious, Michelin experience. It’s located behind Sugarfish and hold 12 diners, so it’s an intimate experience. Great for a special occasion or to really celebrate life. Below are my stream of conscious notes from the dinner: Uzaku - freshwater eel and cucumber; very tender Hokkaido octopus - comes with yuzu salt and chef recommended we try it without soy sauce first Bluefin toro sashimi - it’s just the cheek and extremely soft Akamutsu from Nagasaki - a nice yuzu finish Engawa - aged halibut from Boston; a bit of a harder fish but a nice bite Ko Ika - baby squid had a nice shiso element for some edge Isaki - with yuzu zest on top; I liked this a lot Uni from Santa Barbara - mostly sweet a surprise spicy kick; very fresh Sawara (king mackerel) - very, very tender with creamy finish Hokkaido scallop - very soft and similarly tender Shabu shabu wagyu - from New Zealand; first piece is “their style” and the second one is your choice; Ankimo (monkfish liver) - it looked a little bit like cat food but came with a yuzu miso sauce that was unique Iwashi (sardine) - with ginger and garlic on top Zuke (red tuna) - beautiful vibrant red color Churro - medium fatty tuna Mirugai (giant clam) - very firm with a yuzu taste Kinmedai - this was lightly grazed by the butane flame and that gave it a nice smokiness Maine lobster nigiri - another one with a light yuzu zest Sea eel nigiri - nice bbq sauce and super soft Maine lobster handroll - by this point, I’m getting so full and I don’t know how k finished this, but I did. Apricot lane farm Tamago nigiri - I’m a fan of tamago but my sister isn’t; a lighter episode Mandarin sorbet with berries - super fresh and juicy - a great palette cleanser.

Taste :5/5 Environment: 4.2/5 Service:4.2/5 Sushi Nozawa – 6 Years of Michelin Excellence, and It Shows 🍣✨ There’s a reason Sushi Nozawa has held its Michelin one-star status for six consecutive years — and honestly, one visit is all it takes to understand why. This isn’t just a sushi dinner; it’s a soul-stirring experience that stays with you long after the final bite. Of course, the ingredients are top-notch — that’s the baseline. But what truly blew me away was the shari (sushi rice). The balance of sweetness and acidity is absolute perfection. It’s not overly vinegared, not too sweet — just incredibly light, fragrant, and every grain is distinct. I found myself wondering how they achieved that flawless balance, tempted to recreate it at home (spoiler: I can’t). One standout element? The subtle scent of yuzu woven into the rice — it adds a refreshing brightness that lifts every piece of nigiri. Hands down, the best sushi rice I’ve had in all of Los Angeles.💥 Chef Nozawa doesn’t rely on gimmicks. His nigiri is clean, precise, and full of confidence — it’s like every piece silently says: “You’ll know once you taste it.” Each piece builds anticipation for the next, creating a quiet sense of surprise and wonder that no other restaurant has quite matched. The full omakase menu includes around 20 courses, from appetizers to desserts — enough to leave you full, happy, and 100% satisfied.

Absolutely delicious! Expect nothing but the best of whatever you are served. The service was exceptional and the Chef and Sous Chefs prepared and served the food with such precision.

One of the best dinners I’ve had. From the experience down to the taste. We went back when Chef Fuji was there. Similar to classic Sugarfish but true counter side omakase, with more interesting dishes. Truly an experience and highly recommend for special occasions. I still have my signed menus

Q is a renowned Japanese restaurant located in the historic core of downtown. The restaurant offers an omakase-only dining experience, featuring a tiered menu curated by Michelin-starred chef Hiroyuki Naruke. Guests can enjoy small appetizers followed by several rounds of sashimi and nigiri paired with carefully seasoned rice. Chef Naruke's expertise in perfecting the rice seasoning and utilizing various techniques to enhance the flavors of the fish sets Q apart as a top-tier sushiya.
AMAZING Omakase experience in DTLA. Very high-end; every piece of fish from Japan. One of my favorites so far in LA. The restaurant is designed beautifully, love the ceiling lighting and brick walls. As for the food, everything was fresh and super tasty. My favorites: Kingfish, Uni, Bluefin Tuna.
Zara S — Google review
I came to Q with my girlfriend for our anniversary to experience high-quality sushi and a unique experience since I had found the restaurant on the Michelin guide. I spent almost $1,000 on a dinner for two and we both left hungry. The chef needs to add more dishes to the course! The sushi rice had way too much vinegar and was overpowering all the dishes. Although I believe the service was ok, not great. They add an automatic 20% gratuity charge which I did not believe was fair. Dinner Omakase was falsely advertised at $300 per person but with the added gratuity it was actually $360 plus tax per person. The dinner was very awkward since the chef wouldn't talk to anyone, he was just servicing the dishes, explaining what they were briefly, and after would retreat to preparing the next dish. Whoever gave this place a Michelin star was smoking crack that day. I definitely will not be returning and would rather take my business to a more casual sushi restaurant since at least there I can spend a fraction of what was charged and not leave hungry.
Carlos F — Google review
Poor service, no refill for drinks whatsoever; The food was extremely underwhelming: mediocre, bland, and boring for the price. Easily the least worthwhile omakase experience we’ve ever had. No hand roll, soup, or dessert to complete the experience. All 4 of us left complaining.
Skylar G — Google review
Like what Winnie in another review said, the service from this place is terrible. There was no water or tea offered by the waitress, and there was basically no interaction with the chef which is not what I'd expect from an omakase experience. Despite being seated at the sushi bar (and there being no one else in the restaurant), the chef made the sushi at the other end of the bar diagonal from us so we could barely see the sushi being made. He only ever came over to tell us the name of the fish with no other descriptions. The fish quality was good and definitely fresh, but I found that the rice was a little too vinegary which overwhelmed the fish (which is of course subjective). They added a 20% gratuity to the bill which is fine, but they also then taxed on top of the added gratuity instead of the gratuity being added afterwards. The worst part is that as we were leaving, the waitress chased after us and yelled after the chef who was unlocking the door to not let us leave yet because she thought we were 2 cents short on our $600+ bill, and when she recounted and realized we were actually 3 cents over, she never apologized or did anything else. For the price paid, the quality and service definitely does not match. I've had better omakase elsewhere for far cheaper. Overall, this might have been the worst fine dining experience I've had. I'm not sure how they got their Michelin star to be honest.
N — Google review
I will not come back here again, the service at this place is the dealbreaker 🙃 The waitress didn’t even offer water or tea, and she only said three sentences throughout the whole dining experience- “hi” “no video please” and “goodbye”. The chef was like a sushi robot too… He just made sushi, give it to us, and then he just started to play on the phone. Zero explanation of the ingredient except for the name. Not sure how they got the 1 star Michelin? The food itself was decent (maybe 4 stars), but we didn’t get emotionally engaged. The whole place was just so cold hearted lol With this kind of service, they still added 20% service charge to the check? Definitely not recommending this place.

Never had such a peaceful dinner outing because our party of three slowly savored every bite with our eyes closed in state of sushi trance. Whenever our eyes opened, we were mesmerized by the elegant décor, impressive artwork and beautiful antiques. Gorgeous black walnut ceiling shaped like an ocean wave set on top of the sand blasted brick wall lined with a glass pane modernizing the vintage DTLA space. Service was very attentive and courteous. Chef Hiro is a true master!

The most hungry omakase for Michelin 1 star Japanese omakase. I am so hungry after the $150/person lunch. The service is terrible and almost to nothing but they still automatically charge a 20% service fee.

Samurai-level mastery. Watching the chef slice the fish, mold the rice and ultimately present and serve each piece is a part of the experience. Melt in your mouth bites with flavor combinations that are simple and yet bursting with flavor that sang on my palette. I felt the honor and tradition of the service and in the decor as we sat down. Q is a must for a true lover of food who understands the overall experience.

Sushi Ginza Onodera is a high-end restaurant located in West Hollywood, offering an omakase-only dining experience. With several outposts in Asia and the U.S., this branch follows a no-tipping policy and provides a quick-paced omakase experience.
Reserved a Christmas Eve omakase at Sushi Ginza Onodera with my family and really enjoyed the experience. It is pricey, as it’s $425/pp plus 20% service charge (but no tios accepted). We had Chef Yohei Matsuki serving up our courses and it was a treat to watch him work. Note that you pay in advance when you make the booking online, but at the restaurant, you need to pay for the water ($10 per bottle of still Saratoga water) and drinks. Tea is refillable and is $5. We received so many courses and left feeling full. This is what we ate: - Japanese poke fish - a strong start. I added all the wasabi which may have been a mistake since it made me sneezy but the fish texture was very nice. - Japanese octopus - this had a nice yuzu wasabi to add. The meat was tender and warm. - Steamed egg chawanmushi with caviar and uni - Japanese bonito with homemade garlic sauce - this was my favorite piece. I really enjoyed the garlicky sauce. - Hokkaido herring with crab - the fish eggs popped as you bit into a mixture of crab and fish; my dad liked this one a lot. - Japanese ponzu tiger fish (note that you’re not supposed to eat the kombu) - this was warm and brothy with a bright flavor - Sea bream nigiri - this had a spritz of yuzu and a more firm texture. - Hokkaido fish (didn’t catch the name) marinated in soy sauce - very soft and yummy. - Japanese pike soup - this had some corn embedded and a bright plop of citrus flavor - Japanese mackerel nigiri - this comes from a city in Japan called Oita that is famous for its mackarel, as the mackarel mist swim against the currents and are very strong. - There was an option for add-ons ($50 each) of either abalone from the Chiba prefecture or a toro hand roll with caviar. - Japanese carafish nigiri - another firm piece of fish - Uni roll - this was delicious; Chef individually filled each seaweed roll meticulously - Tiger prawn nigiri - cut into halves, the chef showed us the prawns prior to preparing them. These were very fresh and from Japan as well. - Miso soup - umami broth with green onion - Japanese 9 day dry aged fish (missed this name too) nigiri - extremely tender with just the right amount of soy sauce - Bluefin tuna nigiri - this is a nice hefty portion; he zested you y onto the fish and it was lovely - 9 day aged toro nigiri - this came with a certificate; the tuna caught was 450 lbs caught in Hokkaido this was deliciously fatty and rich. - They gave us hojicha tea as a palate cleanser - Ocean perch nigiri from Japan; it was a lightly salted taste that was hearty - Unagi Nigiri with unagi sauce - the fish was super soft and was a great way to end the savory meal. The meat just melted in my mouth. - For dessert, we had a matcha custard with a gold-flecked azuki bean. It was delicious smooth and not too sweet. The matcha was delicate and well balanced.

Amazing food and staff. Personally this was my first fine dining experience, and I’m happy that it was. Every dish was delicious, and really opened up my mind on trying out new food. Early on staff noticed that I’m left handed, and would position future utensils on my left to accommodate. To some, that may seem like a small detail. In my opinion however, that level of attention to detail is a testament to what makes this place such a unique, and unforgettable experience.

It was a Michelin one-star omakase. As expected, the service was superb. I was impressed by the meticulous attention from start to finish with the guests, and it was impressive that they showed and explained each and every photo of the food on the course. After finishing the course meal, the extra caviar maki we ordered was absolutely superb. I recommend you to try it at least once. The only regret is that we don't accept alcoholic beverages to bring with you. If so, it would have been better if there were many kinds of alcoholic beverages to drink with the food, but that was the only regret. However, overall I was satisfied, and I had a great time thanks to the kindness of the staff.

Amazing omakase experience. Yes it’s very traditional but I really liked that aspect. Everything was just very simple in presentation and exquisite in flavor and composition. Only two other parties were there and about 8 people in total. It was occasionally difficult to understand what fish we were being presented in the nigiri section but the host came around and would show you the picture of the fish and the name if requested. 20 dishes in total including 2 optional add one. I always opt for the add on! The hand roll stuffed with uni and caviar and I forget what else is a must. Not sure why reviews say parking is hard or the restaurant is difficult to find. It’s very easy to find on the street though not ostentatiously labeled and there’s literally public parking two doors down. All and all very much worth the experience. At $400/pp I love that they don’t accept gratuity so that is actually including in your pp price. This meal overall was one of my less expensive 2 Michelin star experiences lol.

My biggest piece of feedback would be to eliminate any "upsells" from the experience (it's already $400 per person jeez...). Halfway through the meal they ask you if you want to pay *another* $65 for a "roll" of some kind. Turns out it's a really awesome bouquet kind of thing that's better than anything else on the menu (literally better than everything else). Many issues with this experience: 1) What are you doing upselling after a $400 entry price? but more importantly 2) Anyone who passes on the bouquet leaves with a feeling of exclusion being their last part of the experience as everyone else is taking Instagram pics with their awesome bouquets. I don't like to ding a restaurant on things that are not easy to change, but this aspect of the menu is 100% in the control of the owners, and they should change it. We passed on the upsells because we were worried we'd be too full, and then not only were we not full at all, but we also had to sit there while everyone else got the best part of the meal. One other piece of advice is to lock the door during a session. Some tourists wandered in halfway through and asked if they were taking "walkins" like fools; that shouldn't be a part of the experience. In contrast, with Nozawa Bar for example, everything is included, you actually get *more* food (we went there last week), and it's only $225 per person. You also get to swap items if you don't like them and I also prefer the "backroom" atmosphere but that's a personal preference.

I loved this place. Everyone there were so welcoming and the Taisho (The head chef) was super entertaining and made me feel like I’ve been there before. They are so proud of what they provide and all the fish are coming from Japan. Not only they are coming from Japan but also coming by first class over night shipping. They take care of their fish so well and I was so impressed when I ate. I’m so picky when it comes to Shari (rice) and yes! They use Akashari, which is red vinegar and rice. Their rice is sooo fluffy so you feel like you can eat a lot! I’m so so happy that I finally went there tonight! I’m hoping to come back soon and thank you again so much for everything! Ah btw, their desert was amazing too! The female chef makes the desert and we loved it!

What an experience. Omakase like we never had before. 22 courses of such innovative food..so many other dishes and not just sushi. Service was impeccable and to watch the chefs at the sushi bar is like watching a well orchestrated dance. Everything just flows. Well worth the experience and definitely worth the money.

Best omakase experience, however it is super expensive. If you love exploring the edges of the world, you should try it. It was amazing, but I won't go again 😀 for the price. About $400 per person. Extra apprx. $150~250 per person for Sake.

Matsuhisa is a renowned Japanese restaurant founded by chef Nobu Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills. Since its establishment in 1987, it has been celebrated for its fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavors. The restaurant offers an array of exquisite seafood and tasting menus in a refined setting. Despite being one of the original upscale sushi destinations in the city, Matsuhisa continues to attract patrons with its exceptional dishes such as black cod, Kobe beef, and rock shrimp tempura.
Amazing experience. All of the dishes were top tier and great service.

Deeeeee-licious🤤! Took my friend out to an appreciation dinner and he said, "it was the BEST sushi I've EVER HAD" so looks like I showed the right amount of gratitude. Everything was soooo fresh! Service was friendly, helpful and advised us during our entire experience. The Yuzu Margaritas were suspiciously addicting...so good we stayed just a little past close. Matsuhisa won't let you down and best believe you will not leave with a frown ☹️.

Matsuhisa is so overrated. After hearing so much about this restaurant I finally decided to take my girlfriend here for Valentines Day. It was such a disappointment and I would never come back here again. I spent 400 dollars here for a party of 2. We ordered appetizers, sushi, dessert and sake as well. The food was incredibly overpriced and the quality of some of the dishes were questionable. The Scallop Kushiyaki was very dry even when it was drenched in teriyaki sauce. Initially I wanted to order the White Fish Tempura but the server suggested that I order the Tempura with their special sauce. Upon receiving the bill, I saw that adding the special sauce with red onions and jalapenos was an additional $20. The White Fish Tempura was already $14, so I ended up paying $34 for that dish. Not even for some special fish, Just plain fried white fish. The only thing I liked from this restaurant were the Golden Eye Snapper and the Akamutsu Sushi. I honestly can't recommend anything else. The ambiance of the restaurant is outdated and depressing. I felt a little crammed and there was nothing in the entire restaurant that I found unique or impressive. We sat inside, but I couldn't imagine sitting outside. Service was mediocre and the tip is automatically entered in your bill. Surely $70 is far too much for the service we received. Valet Parking is mandatory. Go somewhere else?

Sat on the bar ,we ordered lobster dinner and $201 omakase . Chefs were very friendly and they made delicious food for us , you can tell them what you like (for me is caviar 😋)so they make something related . Caviar taco and spring roll were amazing ! We spent $490 for two person include sakes and drinks .I think the price worth the food quality and experience , will come back .🙂

SUGARFISH by sushi nozawa is a renowned local sushi chain with five locations in Los Angeles, offering traditional rolls and sake in an intimate setting. The restaurant has gained widespread acclaim for its omakase-style "Trust" menus, which cater to both light eaters and those seeking a premium dining experience. With a strict no-substitution policy, the focus is on savoring the chef's creations promptly for optimal taste and quality.
Sushi was amazing here, both rice and fish were made soft and tasty, some almost melting in the mouth The ordering on the set menu already considered the flavor science. Cozy and friendly. Also a plus, the restaurant uses a set fee that's very reasonable to replace tipping to smooth out the checkout experience

Tried the Don’t Think Just Eat Omakase, all the pieces were pretty good quality with nice warm rice. The ponzu is pretty sour and certain items come covered in it, so if you’re adverse to that flavor, you may want to request a different seasoning. I also was not a fan of the unagi, which was the finale, as it was really powdery. Overall, enjoy the atmosphere and the selection. Next time I will perhaps select the specific pieces I loved like the pink lobster, tuna cuts, and scallop!

We come here often. We always have a great experience, however service was slow this time. We had to ask if our food was on the way, my friend’s food came a little later than mine when it’s supposed to be given together, and we were not offered refills on water. We still love this place - maybe this time was just a one off.
Audrey — Google review
It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. It was mid. The ambience of the restaurant is nice but definitely not somewhere I would go or consider for a fancy date. It was mid. The service was okay but right from the beginning we were being rushed through the meal and out the door. No time or effort was taken to explain what was being served. It was more a mad dash to turn tables over. Again, it wasn't bad, not great. It was mid. The sushi itself wasn't bad, it was good. But for the price, I expect more. It was mid. Will not recommend or eat here again.
Mark S — Google review
The food at Sugarfish is truly spectacular — fresh, perfectly balanced, and beautifully prepared. Every bite reminds you why this place has such a strong reputation. The service, however, didn’t match the quality of the food. We had to ask four times for extra ginger, and while the staff wasn’t rude, they also weren’t particularly warm or attentive. The restaurant is quite dark, so I’d recommend reviewing the menu online beforehand. Despite these shortcomings, the food more than makes up for it — still a solid five stars for the overall experience.
Jonathan F — Google review
Consistently great sushi spot I prefer going to for lunch than dinner. I order the Nozawa Trust Me every time which is a pre set mix of edamame, sashimi, nigiri and hand rolls. I come hungry and it is plenty of food for a hearty lunch. Service is speedy, though note, they will only sit you once your entire party has arrived. The restaurant is on the smaller side, I would arrive on the earlier side if you’re in a pinch for a strict 1 hour lunch for example. The space is nice but the only downfall is it gets really loud during peak service hours. Will go back again and again.

Best sushi I've had in my life so far. When you visit, indulge in the Nozawa Trust Me. Fairly priced sushi. Sushi here is very fresh and delicious. The ebi is so good and the Hokkaido scallops are amazing

I’ve had Sugarfish in Pasadena and it was as pretty good and this spot is just as good or better. I ordered “Don’t think, just eat” option and added about three different dishes that weren’t in my meal option. All the sushi pieces were ever fresh and delicious. The proportions are on point and the flavors are phenomenal. I’d definitely come back here again and try their other menu items. Overall it was we a solid dining experience. Parking is very limited & you’d be lucky to find some on the street or you can get nearby paid parking.

Sushi Sasabune is a beloved gem in the heart of Los Angeles, renowned for its traditional sushi and sashimi offerings. This establishment has been a pioneer in serving warm rice sushi since the 90s, creating an authentic omakase experience that keeps diners coming back for more. With locations in West L.A.
Solid sushi place, relaxed vibe and pretty good service. We got the Japanese Omakase set, and the standouts were the uni, tuna, and snapper. The octopus and scallop were great as well. Not a bad value for everything that you get, so would recommend it you want Omakase without breaking the bank

Haven’t been here in a while but I swear the lunch special had a better offering a couple years ago. The quality of the fish is still on point and fresh but the amount you get leaves most people hungry after the meal. Was greeted and just asked if we had been here before and gave no menu. We went with the tried and true lunch special but was surprised that it only came with… Small soup and salad 3 pieces nigiri (sushi) 1 chirashi style bowl (sashimi on rice, nothing else) 1 roll All for $39 or really $50 with tax and tip

I love Sushi. I love high quality sushi. Los Angeles offers a different level of sushi across the board. I used to hear a lot about this place, but never got around to trying it until recently. Wow. Excellent Japanese Omakase experience. Superlative blue fin tuna, maybe one of the top tuna bites of my life. Staff were attentive and friendly. It was a subdued atmosphere but it was also a quieter night during the week. The fish and variety were delectable and memorable.

I love Omakase restaurants that make me feel excited waiting for the chef prepare the next course. Unfortunately this place didn't make the cut. Don't get me wrong. Most sushi was good and the fish was fresh, but nothing was truly exceptional. There were not any innovative flavor combinations between the ingredients that I haven't encountered before. More importantly, I didn't feel like the course was designed in a particular way to create a harmonious dining experience. For example, I find it odd that they don't include any starter or desserts in our course. The wait time between each course was also very long for no reason. Overall, it's an average experience for me.
K M — Google review
First things first, the fish is great. The rice is warm. There might be too much emphasis on saucing their nigiri but I’m not going to argue with the chef. My biggest takeaway and the reason I’d never go back is that the service is bad in the worst way that service can fail a customer and that is by being purposefully obtuse. Came in for lunch. Greeted immediately by a server who proudly pointed out their very visible signage about not making tempura or California rolls, which love the policy, but I don’t need you to point out the giant sign. Being made to feel like rube isn’t a great start. Then you’re told there’s a lunch special and a chef special. Cool. Get seated. No menu. Water comes and then the question “are you ready to order?” No, because I have no idea what’s going on. My wife asks what the difference between the chef special and the lunch special is and is told “the lunch special is a special for lunch” and at this point I want to walk into the ocean and catch my own fish. You’re a sushi restaurant that is open for lunch on a Monday on Wilshire Blvd in West Los Angeles. Meet the customer halfway and just give them a piece of paper with their ordering options.

Hamasaku is a sushi establishment that offers creative small plates and sushi rolls named after famous individuals. It is situated in a peaceful dining space within a strip mall. The restaurant has gained popularity not only for its notable customer base but also for its exceptional food quality. Their signature rolls are not just excessively extravagant, but cleverly so, like The Lourd: filled with spicy tuna, avocado, tempura flakes, spicy rice, mango, and jalapeno sauce - an enticing combination.
Delicious food, great atmosphere, awesome service! Cool new fish to try!

If you are a sushi or sushi roll lover, this is the place to go and enjoy some delicious sushi or some delicious rolls. If you are in this area, you really cannot miss the morning menu. It has very good Japanese-style combos for a very good price. And if you like, in the afternoon you can enjoy an omakase. The prices are very affordable, compared to other places. This place is really better. Well, for me, after all, sushi is just sushi.

Hamasaku offers solid non-traditional Sushi in Westwood. There are plenty of sushi restaurants in the area but Hamasaku definitiley offers a good balance of price and and quality. You can find better at a higher price and lesser at a lower price but not much at this mid range in this neighborhood so it makes it a great choice when you want something nice but not necessarily something extravagant or a multi hour omakase. The nigiri and sashimi are definitley great quality and well prepared (the snow trout was a personal favorite). Many dishes like the tacos, tostadas and soba salad are of course very non traditional but are well executed and offer a creative take. The sake menu is surprisingly expansive with more options than often seen at higher end Japanese restaurants so its on opportunity to sample. Service is fast efficient and attentive without being overbearing or making you feel rushed. Parking is available with valet out front.

This was a random stop for us. We were hungry and in the mood for Sushi. We happened upon this restaurant purely due to its location, and boy did we luck out. It started slow, we entered to an empty dining area with only two people sitting by the door, apparently waiting for take out. We mentioned our number, five. My wife, my three children, and I. After a look at the seating chart and reservation list (long look), the waitress turned to us kindly and said, "We have a table for you." Within 20 minutes, the restaurant was packed with locals. No wonder our server had to double-check the table availability. The food was some of the best sushi I have ever had. The light, yet flavorful rolls were unique. The price is a bit high for us from the central valley, but hey, it's sushi. The server was very kind and soft spoken. She even wiped my son's eating area when he made a mess of soy sauce in front of him. I enjoyed the bit of embarrassment he felt. We have visited many Japanese cuisine locations. This is by far in our top 5. When I say our, I am speaking for my wife as well. Try it, you won't be disappointed. Oh, and the valet was something like $2. So don't be scared off by parking. You'll find the restaurant, ask someone if you get lost in the small mall.

I've been dying to try this place since the pandemic. Finally. Did it meet my expectations? Mostly. HIDDEN. Because the restaurant is located in the downstairs corner unit, its somewhat hidden. But I gave 4.5 stars for the nice modern Japanese decor and atmosphere. FOOD. Dinner omakase $130. Hmm, I thought the food was really good, but nothing that really shouted "Wow!" But for the Westside, it's about right. The pieces of fish were small, but at least the rice for the nigiri was still warm (nice.) But the competition for quality and value is tough out here in WestLA/Santa Monica. The omakase ended with a nice yuzu sorbet. Perfect ending. Sake: they sell a variety of sake by the glass or by a carafe (iced.) I trust they are serving me the right cold sake that I ordered. The serving size was smaller than I expected.
Henry T — Google review
Very nice high quality sushi place with a friendly bustling atmosphere, very home like yet elegant. Best dish by far was the avenue of stars roll. Every bite you take of that roll you can tell it’s really high quality. Ricky castle roll and September flower are also pretty good but I would say they are not worth the price. Black cod tastes really good and tender but is also not worth the price with the tiny quantity of fish you get. Yellowtail collar is cheaper but the fish texture is definitely worse than the black cod, with some areas of the meat being pretty tough. The wagyu roll is pretty good and very creative! Overall, a pretty creative and high quality sushi place.

Hama Sushi is a cozy Japanese restaurant located in Little Tokyo with a limited menu focused on sushi and sashimi. Despite its small size and limited seating, it's a popular spot, so be prepared for a potential wait. The menu offers simple yet delicious options like eel, Santa Barbara uni, and a well-crafted blue crab hand roll. While the service may not be overly friendly, the quality of the food makes up for it.
I came here from the Bay Area, and honestly it’s been a long time since I’ve had sushi this high in quality at such a reasonable price. Before going in, I didn’t even check the reviews I just guessed from the look of the storefront that it might be an authentic sushi place. There are three experienced Japanese sushi chefs, and the atmosphere is excellent. The sashimi is very fresh, and both the portion and quality of the rice are outstanding. It seems like there are many regulars dining here. Personally, I think if this place were in the Bay Area, it would definitely be considered omakase-level sushi. Highly recommended! ('m so lucky haven't wait too long, Ithink usually it need to wait for a while)
Aiko L — Google review
Honest comments from a frequent traveller to Japan, the food quality is average. Understanding the sushi should have been adjusted to local flavour, honestly I don’t need to taste any green/red toppings or excessive soy sauce if I am ordering sashimi. I am ordering sashimi as I would like to taste how the raw fish to be. The rice base making the sushi was tasteless and not firmly sticking with each other. Food does not seem quite fresh either. I was suffering from diarrhoea at night. In terms of atmosphere, the seats are so packed and my elbow kept hitting the people next to me. Another side story, there was a Korean young couple questioning the prices at the night I visited. There was a server talking in Japanese to the chef that “if they cannot afford, why did they order so many food”, while the couple was still in the shop. Overall not recommended. I could not feel the professionalism though all kitchen staff look like Japanese.

I have been here many times. Love their food. One of the best sashimi and sushi I have ever had. I preferred the old waitresses they use to have. The newer younger ones are okay but could be better. I would definitely go back because I like the quality of the sashimi and sushi.

The scallop had way too much salt on top. But the other types of nigiri were consistently good. My favorite is Chuutoro shrimp and salmon. The shrimp head in soup is great too

As a loyal fan of Japanese cuisine, I have to say I'm somewhat disappointed. Despite the high online ratings and my high expectations for the sashimi, the quality was quite average and nothing remarkable. Additionally, the restaurant does not allow photography. These photos of the dishes were taken discreetly. I don't understand why photography is prohibited—are they afraid the quality will be exposed?

They have small menu but have exactly what I need. Always thank you guys, and will support this place 100% Please dont change!!

I love the atmosphere here. It was like sitting in a cozy sushi bar in Tokyo. However the sushi taste is not my favorite. Scallop was too cold to be served. Sea urchin tasted creamy but the seaweed overwhelmed the flavor. Sweet shrimp was ok. If you like ankimo you have to ask, it is not in the menu but they have it.

Very small but delicious spot to eat at, highly suggest coming here if you love sushi. Everything is very authentic and the food is to die for, don’t expect much ambiance or decor, just go here for the amazing fresh sushi, you won’t be disappointed. We waited an hour to be seated, it’s popular and like I said, small. Went across the street and got a drink then when we returned we were seated. WORTH THE WAIT.

Despite being known as one of the best sushi spots in Los Angeles and holding a Michelin star, the restaurant now offers takeout options. While you may miss witnessing Chef Nakao expertly crafting your nigiri, the newly introduced bento boxes are meticulously arranged and showcase his culinary artistry.
I visited for the first time since the shop moved to its new location. There is no signboard for the shop. About five minutes before the reservation time, we were allowed to enter the shop. The interior felt like a very traditional Japanese sushi restaurant, with wooden decor. There are six seats for each chef, and we enjoyed our meal while having pleasant conversations with the chef and other customers. We chose a course that included sake tasting, featuring quite rare Japanese sake, which made it feel very special. The sushi’s flavor was incredibly authentic, with about 90% of the ingredients sourced from Japan, and we were extremely satisfied with it. Since it was a reservation for a special occasion, we also received a message card from the staff, which made the day very heartwarming. The atmosphere, the taste, and the hospitality were all top-notch, making it a first-class restaurant in every aspect.

This was my second time at Shunji and since it was so consistent, I thought I should give it a shout out. You may miss it if you aren’t paying attention, nestled behind a non-discrete door on Ocean Park Boulevard in Santa Monica, Shunji Japanese Cuisine is a Michelin-starred gem that redefines the art of sushi dining. Chef Shunji Nakao is a legend and this intimate restaurant offers an omakase experience that is as unforgettable as it is refined. The heart of Shunji’s allure lies in its sushi, which showcases decades of expertise as one of Los Angeles’ sushi pioneers. Each piece of nigiri is a testament to his meticulous attention to detail, with fish sourced primarily from Japan to ensure unparalleled freshness. Shunji’s (somewhat new Santa Monica location) is a departure from its former chili bowl-shaped home on Pico Boulevard, embraces a minimalist aesthetic that keeps the focus on the food and quaint experience. The space is divided into two small rooms, each with a blonde wood counter that seats just seven, creating an atmosphere of exclusivity and intimacy. Soft jazz hums in the background, and a wall of orchids adds a touch of elegance, celebrating the restaurant’s decade-long legacy. The service is impeccable, with staff (one Shunji’s wife) moving gracefully to anticipate every need, from refilling sake glasses to presenting dishes on stunning ceramic plates. Shunji is more than a restaurant; it’s a destination The sushi is exceptional, the ambiance serene, and the overall experience a masterclass in hospitality.

Amazing 1 Michelin star sushi restaurant! The chef is supported by his wife. I got the tea pairing and it was amazing. Definitely recommend this place.

Celebrated our anniversary here served by chef Miki. The omakase meal started off with a few appetizers then led to a sushi course and finished off with dessert. The whole meal took close to 2 hours and the cost per person is $250 before tax and an alcohol menu is placed at your seat before arrival. The food was spectacular and chef Miki is a talented chef who explains all parts of each dish and is easy to hold a conversation with.

Had a delicious omakase here + and uni order! Omakase was 2 apps, 8 pieces about $80pp. It was great!! All of the dishes had really good quality fish, nothing was disappointing. Service was great and everyone was very kind. Would recommend!

Old-school Sasabune-style sushi at decent value and pretty good execution. I'd take this over Sugarfish any day.

The quality of the fish here really stands out, and I was pleasantly surprised by how fast everything came out. I’m usually pretty picky when it comes to sushi, but this place seriously exceeded my expectations. Definitely worth a visit!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this no-frills sushi restaurant that truly exceeded my expectations in every way. The setting was simple and unpretentious, focusing all attention on the culinary experience. The chef, a true artisan, impressed with his meticulous preparation and presentation of each dish. The fish was the highlight, offering unparalleled freshness and flavor that spoke volumes of the chef’s dedication to quality and craft. Each bite was a delightful discovery of taste, and the attentive service added to the overall warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was incredibly friendly and effective. This hidden gem proves that sometimes the most memorable meals come from the most unexpected places, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic and superb sushi.

Awesome spot for traditional sushi and sashimi. Absolutely no frills here and you won't find any western cut rolls on the menu. Prices are reasonable for top cuts, but def not cheap. Week day happy hour chirashi bowl was excellent, but everyone knows the lunch specials here are the real bargain. Reservations preferred for dinner, sushi bar does a nice looking omakase I'll have to come back for.

Nestled in the heart of Weller Court, Sushi Takeda is a hidden gem that offers an exquisite omakase experience focused solely on nigiri. This charming sushi bar, run by Hideyuki Takeda, stands out for its accessibility compared to other high-end establishments in Los Angeles. While many top-tier sushi spots require advance reservations and can be quite exclusive, Sushi Takeda welcomes diners with open arms any day of the week.
Intimate setting, very nice atmosphere, tucked away in the third floor of Weller court. Traditional Edo style sushi exquisitely made without too much ostentatiousness (not overflowing with truffles, gold, and fois gras). Still inventive within the limits of the more traditional style, utterly delicious, and honestly a steal at the price.
Samuel K — Google review
Such a special experience for a first sushi omakase! As of July 2025, lunch omakase was $110 per person and we received a total of 17 nigiri and side dishes. The variety we were given at that price was astounding! Each individual plate ranged from very good to stellar bites! Many favorites throughout the lunch; the seared tuna nigiri and tuna belly, both fried whitefish, rice stuffed squid, fish custard, and especially the uni and fish eggs. Even the prepared rice was lovely every bite! The lunch was paced well and the courses flowed start to finish ending with very satisfied and quite full patrons. I have only praise for our lunch along with the service and atmosphere. Very welcoming to us, very attentive staff, and we didn't feel out of place just wearing casual clothes. We went on a Tuesday and while there were others seated at the tables we were the only ones at the bar for our full time there (so very special indeed). Reservations were made through ExploreTock and you make a per person deposit prior to arrival which is refunded after the meal. In the shopping center, restaurant is located on the 3rd floor above and behind the Kinokuniya bookstore. Look for the single wood door.

Love the cozy vibe, food and service is outstanding. To me when it comes to sushi the most important thing is the rice , they mix 2 types of Japanese rice together to create the incredible texture with the perfect amount of vinegar. Great price if you want to grab a quick omakase lunch. Thank you guys for the wonderful experience.

Surprisingly, this is the BEST sushi bar tasting I have ever had outside of Tokyo. If you like to judge sushi based on the quality of the fish, then add Sushi Takeda to the top of your list. Every course featured extremely high quality seasonal fish. Each piece was the best version of that animal I had ever had, especially the King Mackerel and the unique sardine sushi. You won’t find a random wagyu course or gold leafing here; the flavors are balanced and the natural fats and oils are never overpowered by heavy garnish. Some places in LA charge three times the price and it’s not always a perfect homeroom. Make an omakase reservation at the bar NOW! You won’t regret it!

I visited Sushi Takeda for lunch omakase right when it opened and the restaurant was packed in no time. Definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. The unassuming exterior is in sharp contrast with the Japanese inspired interior. My lunch omakase included- 1. Sesame Tofu with wasabi and dashi sauce 2. Red snapper with yuzu, lemon and cherry blossom leaves - it was a little chewy but had fresh citrusy flavor 3. Dry aged bluefin tuna - this one was really good. 4. Spanish mackerel - alright 5. Trout - quite good 6. Young bluefin tuna - personal favorite, smoky and salty 7. Fried white fish marinated in vinegar (palette cleanser) 8. Chawanmushi with mashed oyster, seaweed 9. Golden eye snapper 10. Chu toro - medium fatty tuna 11. Amberjack 12. Miso soup 13. Jumbo scallop 14. Belt fish 15. Hokkaido uni with dashi marinade 16. Tamago maki 17. Refresher- housemade yuzu soda Overall, it is a good price for all that you get. They don't use as much garnish on their nigiri which really puts the focus on the fish. The fish was fresh but some nigiri pieces didn't quite hit the mark. The service was fast and attentive. Sushi Takeda is a decent option for a reasonably priced lunch omakase if you are in the LA area.

Anyone with a Shellfish Allergy who still loves sushi (Read This!) My wife and I celebrated our 7yr at Sushi Takeda this last Friday. We made reservations for the Nigiri Omakase (this option had a disclaimer that they could accommodate for shellfish allergy online). I want to note that my allergy allows me to enjoy seafood while being around shellfish and really only triggers from cross contamination or consumption giving me a strong stomach discomfort and acid reflux. Chef did a fantastic job providing me with the utmost care around my allergy. Washing hands, using a separate cutting board, cleaning knife, and even providing me with my own soy sauce and letting me know between servings which will pair to avoid cross contamination. There were substitutions made throughout, all were very enjoyable and equitable to the original course that my wife was having. I had 0 symptoms whatsoever! The team at Sushi Takeda were all very kind and helpful throughout our dining experience. We were given a squid pairing with my glass of sake (very dry option) I had ordered which complemented each other very well, courtesy of the team at Sushi Takeda! My wife ordered a plum wine, her favorite, which if you are in the mood for something a little sweet and unique is a must-have. Each piece of our course was intentional and handled with utmost care. Chef took the time to explain every serving throughout. The nigiri omakase was an exhibition of art and flavor with great variety and the freshest cuts of fish LA can offer! PS. Chef was awesome for striking a pose with us in our couples pic! 🍣

Our children sent us off to this dinner date while they were out of town. What a great gift. We had a cold sake with melon notes and their homemade yuzu soda to go with their excellent nigiri omakase. We ordered repeats of the sawara, kawahagi and toro taku and also ordered anago on top of the omakase. We normally don't enjoy the tamagoyaki but their castella style tamagoyaki was so good. This nigiri omakase was the perfect amount but would like to try their signature omakase in the future.

Nestled in the vibrant Robertson Plaza, Sushi Tama is a delightful addition to Beverly Hills that opened its doors in 2020. Originally thriving on takeout options like nigiri and DIY roll kits, this beach-toned eatery has since embraced indoor dining, showcasing the culinary talents of Chef Hideyuki Yoshimoto. Trained at Tokyo's renowned Tsukiji Fish Market, he brings a wealth of sushi expertise to the table.
Sushi Tama is a true gem in the city for sushi lovers. The freshness is unmatched, with fish flown in daily from Japan, and the quality shines through in every bite. I’ve tried many sushi spots around town, but Sushi Tama has something extra—a touch of soul that makes you feel right at home. The ambiance is warm, and the staff adds to the inviting experience. For me, it’s the best omakase in the city, blending top-tier flavors with an authentic, welcoming vibe. That said, like all omakase, the prices are way too overrated—it’s ridiculous and not entirely justified.

What an amazing 18 course tasting menu prepared by chef Yoshi! My fiance and I went here for Friday night date night while visiting LA. We are looking forward to this Sushi tasting all week! And it outweighed my expectations! I loved the featured Shamu Shabu which was wagyu Style beef. Some of my favorite sushi rolls or the medium fatty tuna, shrimp, and uni! I loved the large chunks of fresh ginger per pallet cleanser between each bite. I always love watching Fresh Wasabi be made in front of me too, I feel like it's such a beautiful delicacy and just tastes so much better when you see your food prepared in front of you. What a wonderful experience! Highly recommend it to any sushi lover visiting LA!

If you’re in Beverly Hills and love sushi, Sushi Tama is an absolute must. My son went all in with the omakase experience and it was perfection from start to finish each piece felt like a small work of art, balanced and memorable. You could taste the chef’s care in every bite. I ordered off the menu and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Everything they prepared was not only beautifully presented but also melt-in-your-mouth delicious. It’s rare to find a place where the service, creativity and quality all line up perfectly. From the atmosphere to the attentive staff to the food itself, Sushi Tama exceeded every expectation. Whether you’re sitting down for omakase or just exploring beyond the menu, this spot delivers a truly special experience. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

We came here with a last-minute reservation, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. This sushi bar offers both bar and regular seating, with options for omakase or individual orders. Even though we chose the regular seats, the chef greeted us warmly from the counter. Having visited many high-end sushi bars in NYC, I can confidently say that this place stands out with its unique charm. The ambiance is more casual and cheerful, with a light touch of western vibes, compared to some sushi bars that serve omakase only. The space is open, with soothing lighting and music. The price is affordable and fair, given the quality of the food, which makes me wonder if sushi in NYC is somewhat overpriced. I had such a lovely meal and would definitely want to come back when I visit LA next time.

The serene ambiance and diverse array of fish make dining here an unforgettable experience.
I don’t normally write reviews but I was absolutely blown away. This was the best sushi, Japanese food, and experience I’ve had anywhere outside of Japan itself. The menu was designed brilliantly and they were able to work around my specific dietary needs (no soy no shellfish). The matsutake mushroom soup was rich, flavorful and a full-body sensory experience. I could go on about the deliciousness of other courses but don’t want the review to turn into an essay. We had about 6 appetizer courses and 6 sushi courses and 2 deserts. The meal was so good I can still taste it. The service was excellent as well the staff works hard to make you feel comfortable like at a home rather than feeling stuffy like other high end restaurants. If I could give 6 stars I would, it’s a food experience you won’t forget.

Okay I don’t even know where to start but my experience at Morihiro was amazing. It was actually my second time but it gets even better and better. Coming from Japan, it is SO HARD to find good sushi overseas. Sure there are so many Michelin sushi restaurants here in LA but Morihiro is not even comparable- first Shari ( sushi rice ) is ANOTHER LEVEL. Quality of Shari is so important to make good sushi but he actually spent 25years to look for specific rice - Rice here is not just a decoration but it plays important role for the sushi. And appetizers!!! He likes to mix both Japanese traditional dish and local ingredients. It was amazing. A lot of sushi restaurants don’t care about appetizers but they just care about golden flakes or caviar lol But his dish is so delicious and there is a meaning behind. Also service was top notch! They don’t even speak Japanese but they knew the details of regions or seasonal ingredients. Can you even imagine how hard would it be to learn every single name of fish or vegetable in different language? I have huge respect for all the chefs and servers. It was AMAZING. You will NOT regret it. I can guarantee as a Japanese foodie from Japan!!!!!!

One of the best omakase experience i’ve had. There were so many dishes that came out that I started to get full. Love it! The service was very attentive. The fish quality was great and there were some unique options i’ve never had before. My favs were the ankimo, seared baby barracuda, spotted ebi, and uni. The espresso hojicha dessert was absolutely amazing as well.

This was simply a dream. The very unrevealing entry led to this temple of supreme flavor presentations. Everything from the elegant interior, to the chef-created pottery, to the super-attentive and knowledgeable staff was a first-class prelude, but wait they were quickly surpassed by the the magnificent food: Each item of the omakase was well thought through, looked spotlessly perfect and had spectacular combinations of flavors and textures. What can I say: a dream. Who knows, maybe I was never there. (Originally posted by me on YELP)
Andreas K — Google review
*2 stars is assuming the expectations of a restaurant at this price point* We’ve been to many omakases ranging from $50-600/head across LA and NYC, and I will say this is probably the least worth it experience accounting for price point. Quality of fish: for $400 a head not including tip, there was no standout fish. No otoro, no trout or salmon (maybe not in season), 1 type of uni, no ebi or scallop, and the rest of the courses were like 6 types of silver fish (mackerels, snapper, etc) (note: I always say a good omakase makes the less interesting fish like mackerel stand out for the night but this did NOT do that, there was no wow factor there) The “fancier” nigiri served were geoduck & abalone, which are both extremely chewy at the end of the day. The rice was very good and something they pride themselves on. Sake: we did a pairing for $150/person and I don’t think I have much to note. We had 6 pairings which is equivalent to how much you’d pay per glass so really no benefit either way. Somm walked us thru all the different breweries and processes which was nice. Staff: chef spoke to us maybe twice. He was too busy talking and giving extra courses to the couple next to us who seemed to be in the food industry whether food critics or michelin affiliated but he gave them probably 6 extra courses than us, and the bigger problem was we had to wait for them to finish their courses while chatting etc before we could move forward with our meal!! So for the first 5-6 appetizers it took us 1.25hrs alone, and then the nigiri came and it went by faster. But overall whole meal was 3hrs, and a big majority of that was waiting for the couple next to us to finish their extras and the chef/ staff waiting in the kitchen not doing anything. Also I should note there are 6 bar seats here so not chatting with other guests to me is WILD. When you pay $400+ per head you expect a level of service, quality, ambiance, etc. if it was priced differently I’d have no problem with the food I ate, but for how much you’re paying you’re better off at ginza onodera, kaneyoshi, shunji, etc etc etc

What an experience! We’ve had a lot of omakase and they were all delicious but this one felt different. First of all, the plating was all so beautiful (look at the fried ayu fish!), but I was also SO INCREDIBLY STUFFED. So much food came out with the bar omakase that I almost told them to stop (I didn’t btw). So tasty, so beautiful, and a great experience and anniversary dinner :)

Hayato offers an intimate omakase-style dining experience, where a small number of fortunate guests are treated to a culinary spectacle. Chef Brandon presents a welcome drink before serving meticulously crafted Japanese dishes, such as peony shrimp from Santa Barbara and tempura with Japanese sweet potato. The menu also features sea bass cooked in homemade vinegar and pine leaf crab prepared through charcoal roasting and steaming. Each course is beautifully arranged and finished before diners' eyes, accompanied by detailed explanations from Chef Brandon.
Amazing and unforgettable experience. One of not the most difficult reservations to get in LA. I’m living proof that it’s possible if you don’t give up and are persistent! Take advantage of the waitlist. Reservations are released on the 1st of every month at 10A. Seating is intimate (only 7 seats!) and there’s only 1 seating per night. Food and ambiance were memorable. Loved being able to interact with Chef Brandon and the staff. We dined with great people who were generous, fun and had great conversations. It was intimate and soothed my soul. You can feel that love and thought are poured into the experience. The food was simple and pure yet delicious. I would love to return in the future for another round of food for my soul.

Hayato was definitely worth the effort in trying to get a reservation. Reservations are difficult to get as they get snatched up very quickly and seating is only 7 people a night. This restaurant is one of my favorites for fine dining. The ingredients vary by season and are cooked in a way that brings out their natural flavors. The grilled kinki with the roasted onion was the best dish of the evening for me.

After just stepping off a long flight from Japan, our very first meal was here, and it instantly transported us back. In fact, I’d go as far as to say it was even better than many of the meals we had in Japan itself. Every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, with a clear sense of respect and care for each ingredient. Brandon’s passion shone through not only in the food but also in the way he shared his knowledge and insight. His thoughtful explanations made the experience as enriching as it was flavorful. And then there was the sake, a truly extraordinary selection, curated with as much artistry as the food itself. It was the perfect complement to an unforgettable dining experience. If you’re looking for Japanese cuisine in LA that feels authentic, soulful, and elevated, Hyato is in a league of its own.

Their omakase is an absolutely transcendent experience that has forever reshaped my perception of omakase dining. While Michelin-starred sushi restaurants often adhere too rigidly to tradition, this trailblazing establishment consistently shatters expectations and elevates omakase to sublime new heights. For those who genuinely revere the art of sushi, a pilgrimage here is an essential rite of passage. As female sushi chefs rise to prominence in Japan's culinary world, this visionary chef and her peerless restaurant are poised to be West Coast vanguards of this empowering movement. An experience here is a privilege that sushi aficionados owe to themselves.

Michelin 1 star sushi restaurant. Nice to try. Course ordered: Premium Omakase (Private Dinner Service) $280/person * This was the only dinning option available due to COVID restrictions. See photos for what we ate. + EVERYTHING was delicious! + Fish was fresh, rice was just right, flavor was on point + Private dining experience, only 2 parties of less than 8 people per night. Only 2 of us and 3 others that night + Seating at the sushi bar and watch Chef Maru made everything in front of us + Service was excellent, caring but also not annoying - Premium Omakase is more expensive than other Michelin 1 star restaurants, about that same as a 2 star.

the appetizers are the best, and some pieces of the nigiris are good, but not all of them, and I had accidentally bite a fish bone in one of the nigiris, which should not happen, in my opinion. So I have to say the experience didn’t meet my expectation.

Nobu Los Angeles offers an upscale dining experience with a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavors. The restaurant is known for its iconic dishes like crispy rice tuna and sushi tacos, which are popular among celebrities and locals. The beautifully designed space includes a bar, lounge, main dining room, atrium, and terrace. Guests can enjoy signature dishes such as Wagyu Tacos and Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno at prices starting around $25 for two pieces.
Nobu LA’s Tanoshi Hour is a great way to enjoy the Nobu experience without the full splurge. The cocktails and small bites — like the crispy rice with spicy tuna and yellowtail jalapeño — are top-notch, and the vibe is relaxed but still upscale. Portions are small and prices still lean high, but it’s a fun, classy spot to unwind before dinner.

It was my first time here and the vibe was great! The restaurant was quite busy, so I definitely recommend booking in advance. The food was absolutely delicious — seriously mouthwatering! But the prices are on the higher side, so be prepared for that. Highly Recommended Dishes: • Yellowtail Jalapeño (must-try!) • Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna • Bluefin Toro Sashimi • Lobster Tempura Truffle Amazu – the portion is huge! The dishes came out one by one, and the wait between each course was a bit too long. But overall, the staff were super friendly and provided great service.

Went to Nobu expecting delicate, melt-in-your-mouth fish. Got fish so fishy it could’ve told me its life story. I swear it winked at me. Sent it back before it swam off my plate. At least the miso soup didn’t try to make eye contact. For the money they charged they need to get it together

Thank you to Josh for steering me in the right direction and your recommendations! This was a nice treat. Enjoyed my experience and being taken care of by someone with experience and knowledge of the menu. Tried hamachi, toro, albacore and lobster tacos. For a large restaurant, attention was personalized and warm hospitality.
Kristin R — Google review
Loved the albacore truffle dry miso dish and passionfruit drink. The pistachio semifreddo dessert was great too. Only one star off due to price, but Nobu is an incredible experience and people should try it once if you're in a high tax bracket.

I got the $175 omakase 7 courses and oh my goodness, I wasn't expecting full plates here. We start with a vegetable wrap which doesn't count as a course. 1st was salmon tartar, oyster in some delightful sauce and Japanese pear. The pear was amazingly sweet. 2nd was various nigori, uchi with roe and rice. 3rd was various white fish, but the center was my favorite, blue fin toro with truffle shavings and I believe it was a spicy ponzu sauce (don't quote me on this), but it was the best thing I tasted at course 3. Course 4 came with a watercress salad, i don't remember what fish it was because I was starting to hit a wall and I still have 3 more left. 5th course was miso cod and the filet was a decent size, that's one of those long plates they put rolls on, so don't let the close up fool you. 6th was delightful, A5 wagyu in truffle butter and Crispy onion! They server left me along for like 20 mins so I can get through this course lol I was like, I might take this home. Then as I sat and digested, I was like, it's too good. 7th course was miso soup, i didn't finish it but it was refreshing. The dessert, it was a flakley brownie with matcha ice cream. The drinks were about $23 each and it was ok, it was a speciality cocktail and one that wasn't on the menu. Overall I've never had an omakase like this before. It was well worth the price in my opinion.

One of the best meals we’ve ever had. I love taking my kids to notable restaurants, and this absolutely lived up to every Nobu expectation. We tried a little bit of everything—lobster tempura, dry-aged prime ribeye, pristine sushi, oysters, and wagyu—and I’m honestly speechless. Every dish was balanced, beautiful, and bursting with flavor. The hosts were amazing—warm, organized, and welcoming—and our servers were equally outstanding: attentive without hovering. Customer service was top-tier from start to finish. I even meant to take more photos, but the food was so good I forgot and just enjoyed it. Flawless experience. Can’t wait to come back!

I had a fantastic time at Nobu. It was my first time here and it was very memorable. Even waiting outside and finally being allowed to go inside was really cool lol (they had a really big door). The food was amazing and very fresh. You cant miss with the sushi. I also got some drinks for us. Their cocktails were nice and they have a Japanese beer called Hakone Kohaku that you cannot find anywhere else in the states. I believe its imported specifically for Nobu. Ive looked online and the only way to get some is to have it be shipped from Japan directly to your door step. It was an amazing beer and I look forward to coming back in the future!

At Takami Sushi & Robata, diners can enjoy exquisite Japanese cuisine overlooking the downtown Financial District. With a panoramic view of the city below, this sushi restaurant is just one of its unique restaurant ideas in Southern California. The bar features some of the best cocktails in town, and the dining experience is complete with Asian ambiance and décor.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 – Delicious Food & Great Vibe, but Service Needs Work Takami Sushi & Robata is a beautiful spot with a sleek, modern atmosphere and a menu that definitely delivers. The food is fresh, well-presented, and full of flavor. Every dish that came out looked carefully crafted, and the quality was clear from the first bite. The ambiance is another strong point—elevated, stylish, and perfect for a date night, special dinner, or even a nice night out with friends. The only downside: customer service could be better. While the food and setting are excellent, the staff felt a bit inattentive and not as polished as you’d expect from a place of this caliber. A little more warmth and attentiveness would make a huge difference. ✅ Fresh, beautifully plated food ✅ Great atmosphere and view ❌ Service needs improvement Overall, still a fantastic dining experience—just hoping the service matches the quality of the food next time.

This restaurant has such a great atmosphere. Whether you’re on a date, meeting friends, or having a family gathering it fits perfectly for any occasion. No matter who you bring, you’re not going to regret it (and no one’s going to complain!). The prices are reasonable, the interior is clean and modern, and the sushi was fresh. I especially recommend the Dragon Roll and the DTLA Roll 🍣

We had planned a dinner at another sushi restaurant, but realized it was 30 minute drive from our hotel. We were staying at the Omni hotel and decided to book Takami. When we arrive, the hostess put us outside in the deck area. It was very windy, cool and smoky that night. She never gave us another option, and stated the dining room was book solid this was our only option. After 15 minutes of waiting for the waiter, we decided to move indoors of the bar area. Once we received our food, it was very good. The rolls had great flavor, but fell apart very easily. We requested forks for our rolls, as they were falling apart. Once we were completed with our meal, it took 30 minutes to receive our bill. Once we received our final bill, It was over $75 over the correct amount. We never received an itemized receipt only the final bill. We asked for an itemized receipt and waited another 30 minutes to receive it. After going back and forth four different times we finally got our correct bill. Our quick sushi dinner turned into a frustrating three hour adventure.

I’ve eaten sushi all over the world. You truly only get 5 star sushi in Japan or Hawaii. 4 stars is reserved for the best of the best like the original Nobu or some hidden jems. With that said this was a 3 on the sushi scale which is excellent normal. In my book very good. Everything tasted fresh and was very good. The sashimi roll was excellent. The drinks are fabulous. And the ambiance on the rooftop is excellent. Worth going to have a great rooftop experience, people watch and have good cocktails + some above average sushi. The service is very good as well.

Asanebo is a renowned upscale restaurant located in Los Angeles, known for its impeccable execution of traditional Japanese cuisine with a modern twist. Established by the Brothers Nakao in 1991, it has been a staple in the Valley's Ventura Boulevard sushi scene. Led by Chef Tetsuya Nakao, the restaurant prides itself on high standards of fish quality, precision knife cuts, and exceptional service.
They are famous on social media for their fun videos, but the owner and the staff here are true professionals who are genuinely dedicated to Japanese cuisine! We visited with family and close friends to celebrate, and enjoyed a full course meal. Since I’m pregnant, they kindly prepared a special menu without raw items just for me, which I truly appreciated. It had been a long time since I last had Japanese food this delicious, and I was really touched. The creative use of ingredients like truffle and cilantro made the course exciting to enjoy all the way to the end. Not only the fish, but also carefully selected ingredients like tomatoes and Brussels sprouts were outstanding, showing their dedication to quality. After dining here, I completely understand why this place has been loved for so many years!

The good: tuna red meet, deep fried soft-shell crab are both extraordinary. Also the scallops with truffle and uni give good rich month feel. House sake goes well with seafood. To be desired: some of the spice and seasoning are overwhelming - truffle in the sea bass makes the sea bass tasteless only texture remain, some of the spicy paste is too strong (I need to leverage a lot of tea great tea to clear my palate), the wagyu sushi is supposed by the crescent of the night, it is has too much fibre. Overall: it is a decent restaurant worth try, but the innovation maybe too aggressive in taste and texture. Will I come back? Yes, if I’m in town again - for the sake!

I went for a birthday celebration and had a set sushi course. The sushi was delicious however I wouldn't say anything particularly stood out to me in terms of taste or presentation. I do remember the intro chauwanmushi and wagyu "tacos" were pretty good. The staff was very attentive and the energy of the room was very good. Maybe I built it up too much in my head based on reading previous reviews
Peter B — Google review
This is one of the absolute best and must-visit sushi restaurants in Los Angeles. I made an early reservation for Friday night at 5:30 but arrived around 5:15. I was the only diner for almost an hour but had the honor of sitting at the bar in front of Chef Tetsu's station and he is seriously one of the nicest, most humble, and most talented sushi chef's in Los Angeles, in California, in the USA, in the world. I kept ordering dish after dish, fish after fish, because each and every item put in front of me was so fresh, unique, flavorful, and delicious. Chef Tetsu is very welcoming and happy to talk about all things sushi, Japan, his restaurant, staff, and more. His staff too are all so incredibly kind and attentive. I loved all the nigiri, each one with a complex and unique flavor profile. My favorites were the golden baby snapper, zuke tuna, marinaded salmon. The miso black cod was so soft, umami filled and delicious. The truffle was outstanding. The spicy tuna crispy rice was perfect. The yaki toro was seriously butter. The scallops were incredible. The ono handroll was excellent. Everything was sublime. Worth every single penny and every single second at Asanebo. I can't recommend this place enough
Alex X — Google review
Absolutely phenomenal experience. I got the full Asanebo tasting menu, and every course was exceptional. From start to finish, the quality, creativity, and presentation blew me away. The nigiri was incredibly fresh and perfectly balanced, the wagyu was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the soft shell crab—which I had for the first time—was a total standout. Every bite was memorable. The service was outstanding too—attentive, friendly, and made the whole evening feel special without being overbearing. You can really feel the care and passion behind every detail here. If you’re looking for a high-end sushi experience that delivers on both flavor and hospitality, Asanebo is a must. Will definitely be coming back.

KazuNori: The Original Hand Roll Bar is a stylish restaurant with an industrial vibe that specializes in Japanese seafood rolls. Founded by acclaimed sushi chef Kazunori Nozawa, this fast-casual sushi bar concept offers generous portion sizes, consistency, and widespread availability across multiple locations in Los Angeles.
The commitment to the craft of sushi really stands out. The only problem is the rolls are so good it's hard to know when to stop. Recommend going for 5 rolls so ypu can try a variety, that'll run you about $25-30. Would definitely recommend the eel, salmon, scallop, and lobster.
Megan G — Google review
Incredible, I highly recommend. The best hand rolls I've ever had, I crave the food here. If you do not like seafood or hand rolls this place is not for you. Ingredients are fresh, with warm rice and made in front of you. Seated at U shaped bar style table with chefs and servers in the center. Rolls are made and delivered overtime, not all at once. You choose your meal via a paper menu, from set menus of 3 - 6 rolls but all rolls can be added a la carte. Service is quick and friendly. There are a few locations, lucky me, so the parking and wait time vary at each. All locations are usually busy but service is quick which supports a timely turnaround. The one downtown (main) has limited street parking, the one in Ktown is probably my favorite and has a small parking lot but fills quickly. Buon Appetito, Piatto Pulito 😋

Overall I had an okay experience. The service good, they were attentive to our needs. The hand-roll itself was nothing special, and definitely overpriced. I would not really recommend this place if you’re looking for a fulfilling Japanese food.

Great hand rolls, very basic but they really have their system set up well. Crunchy seaweed, hot rice, and great fish (the Toro is fantastic and the yellowtail is also not bad). Will return when in LA
Bijan — Google review
Great hand rolls, rice is served straight from the cooker and is warm. The warm rice and fresh ingredients make a great combo and lots of the rolls just melt in your mouth. Ambience is very dark inside and chill EDM music. Overall a nice vibe and service is good. Only note for tourists is that it is near a sketchy area of the city. Generally okay to walk but be mindful if that is something you are wary about. We did end up parking several blocks away and walked.
Breanne F — Google review
Easy to miss at night, the outside is dark and unassuming. Calm atmosphere, attentive service. The individually delivered hand rolls amazing! Great pacing to savor the contrast of warm toasted nori and seasoned rice against the chilled fresh fish. Highly recommend taking your time with the 6 roll order. Great value for the quality of sushi. 🍣

This is the ultimate hand roll sushi joint in DTLA. Cold beer and sushi are a great combo! If you go on an odd hour you can get in right away, but if you go during peak hours be prepared to wait. It is WORTH the wait!

Sushi Zo is a no-menu Japanese restaurant with multiple locations, including in Cheviot Hills, West LA, and New York City. Despite its unassuming strip-mall setting, it offers an upscale omakase dining experience. The nigiri is carefully prepared and seasoned to perfection, creating a delightful culinary journey for diners.
Chef was amazing. We had one of the best Omakase experience. Well thought out presentation. Very detailed explanation. Given it was a Monday, we had the restaurant for ourselves!

Great hidden gem, not so hidden since it’s been the first location opened 16 years ago, of worldwide tiny restaurants under same name and all over the world. This original location lead by chef Susumu Ueda serves surprisingly dishes and seasonal fishes 90% from Japan of course. A 21 courses omakase that won’t leave you either hungry or frustrated. Recommended 200%. Great gyukuro tea at the end too. A must try at least once to try real high end nigiris and original Japanese delights!

Great sushi spot! Was a bit heavy on the sauces. Omakase had many pieces and very little rice so we got to try a lot of dish, very well portioned. On the pricier side of omakase. service was nice thank you!

This is definitely the omasake to try for first timers as well, every single fish is delicious, perfectly seasoned and so fresh! The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming! When it comes to sushi, Sushi Zo is definitely on the top of the list. Their rice portion and temperature is just perfect and the piece of fish is always presented amazingly. Be warned, they only serve omakase style. If you have never been I believe it is worth the visit. Due to the increased price I would have rated them 4.5 stars.
Joshua N — Google review
Arguably the best sushi restaurant in the world. K Zo, the chef who started this hole in the wall over a decade ago, now has others in DTLA, NYC, and plans are in the making for a new Sushi Zo in Dallas, TX. What you get is a 20+ course Omakase. Each nugget a divine expression unto itself. From homemade Miso soup, to salmon sushi with a thin layer of seaweed gelee. Exquisite. The idea of filing up, one morsel at a time is executed with timing and leaves little room for mistakes. At Sushi Zo, there aren't any. What do you pay for such an experience? About $200 a head. With equally amazing Sake and service, add another $100. Maybe this is the ultimate "treat yourself" Sushi experience. It's all about the food here. The restaurant itself is remarkably unassuming and simple. Enjoy.
Gregory C — Google review
The portions have become much smaller since dining here over 10 years ago. The fish is fresh and delicious. The combination of flavors are delightful. Lunch omakase is an adventure and should space out a good 2 hours for the experience. Can't understand the waitress unfortunately.

An location more intimate that it might seem from its outside location and a meal worth every minute! Sushi Zo is a reservation only omakase sushi tasting menu. We were served 24 courses of sushi! They have a limited selection of Japanese beers and sake to enjoy with your meal if you desire. The fish was fresh and from all over the world. Sitting at the sushi counter allowed us to watch the chefs at their amazing work. The monkfish liver was a particular and unique (to me delight). The staff was extremely attentive and I would highly recommend visiting!

Sushi Park is a renowned sushi restaurant located on the second floor of a modest strip mall. Despite its unassuming appearance, it is known for offering an intimate omakase experience with premium ingredients. The restaurant's traditional approach means no trendy sushi or non-sushi items are served. With only eight seats at the counter and five small tables, Sushi Park provides an exclusive dining experience where patrons can enjoy exquisitely prepared plates from a fixed-price omakase menu.
The staff are always friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. Every time we visit L.A., this is a must-stop spot for our kids. We’re big fans of sushi and have tried omakase in many countries, but this place keeps coming back to mind. While the setting and atmosphere might not be the most fancy, the taste alone is enough to bring us back. In fact, sometimes the small and humble vibe feels even more comfortable, which is why it works so well for our family. I have a feeling we’ll keep coming back every time we’re in L.A!

Sushi Park is hands down one of the best sushi spots in West Hollywood! I went here with friends and we had an amazing experience from start to finish. Chinyere A — Google review
There’s a lot of hype about this place. Thats what got me curious. If you have some deposable income (200+/person), and that’s what I had, this isn’t a bad choice. But if you’ve been to Japan for fine dinning, it might not meet your expectations for a few reasons. Fish selection wasn’t bad, they have a bit more than run of the mill. but the rice kind of ruined it. It had enough moist and favor, but the middle is a bit harder than it should. Almost like they didn’t cook long enough before taking it out to cool. The size of each piece is smaller than expected be about 20%. Normal each piece should comfortably fill your mouth, but every time I ate a piece, it feels like a bit more empty than it should, not enough to feel fulfilling for each bite. Also, Would also be nice if they offer real wasabi, not the substitute from a tube. I know they are going for simple decoration with quality ingredients. But for this price point, not sure if the quality justifies it.
Vicente L — Google review
This is the most expensive sushi I’ve ever had. We expected that. But we also expected the experience would match that. It doesn’t…at all. The sushi is great, for sure. But there’s nothing about this experience that needs to cost that much. Sushi Nakazawa in Manhattan is better sushi, a cleaner and fancier sushi-like ambience, and somehow costs less. This place is in a strip mall so it doesn’t start off great. But we knew that going in. We thought they’d have at least tried to make it feel less like that in the interior but they didn’t. The place could have been a well-kept Subway. The sushi is, IMO, on par with Sugarfish, which is 1/6th the price.

Since its acquisition by former Asanebo chef Mark Okuda in 2018, this once-ordinary restaurant has blossomed into a vibrant culinary destination. With an inviting sushi bar and a simple yet cozy atmosphere, diners can enjoy an array of seasonal dishes crafted with creativity and flair.
We usually order the sushi omakase because the fish is always amazing, whether dry-aged or prepared fresh with the perfect pickled toppings so that you never need soy sauce. The fried taro is also a great addition if you're extra hungry.

This was our first time at The Brothers Sushi and it did not disappoint! We did the omakase experience, and while it was expensive, it fully delivered. We sat at the sushi bar, which only enhanced the experience with more interactions with the chefs behind the counter and other friendly patrons sitting next to us. All the dishes were artfully constructed with delicious flavors to match. Service was excellent and very attentive without being intrusive. Sushi was exceptional. Parking is limited but managed to get a spot closer to the liquor store next door. Arrived a bit early for the reservation but we were seated right away at the sushi counter. Omakase sushi is the way to go, the sushi chef times the next offering perfectly while you enjoy the sushi. The fish is fresh and the rice quality/quantity is perfectly balanced. A lot of the sushi was already marinated in a shoyu base, so only a dab of wasabi was needed. Enjoyed the omakase and conversation so much that I only took one photo too. 🍣🍣 As this was both of our first time here, overall i was impressed with the price, quality and service, and my friend was very happy that we could enjoy this omakase experience at such a relaxed pace on her special day. 🙏🙏 Definitely returning to this place when I visit LA again.... 5 stars🤙

Reservations only! Omakase surpassed expectations... only took one pic because it was so fresh and exquisite it went straight down the hatch! Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful evening at Sushi Chitose with an old friend. We happened on it by accident, but it turned out to be a worthy discovery. The food was excellent and followed traditional Japanese cuisine. You won't find fancy creations such as Dragon or Spider Rolls here, just well made, authentic sushi. The atmosphere was comfortable, and the staff were friendly, although the service was a bit slow due to only limited staff there that evening. We had the Toro, Salmon Skin, and Spicy Tuna, along with mushroom appetizer and soup. Prices are reasonable. Reservations are needed, and the place is small. I recommend!

NB: must make reservation in advance. Pretty good Omakase. It cost $75, and each of us got 11 pieces of nigiri, a crab hand roll, a choice of miso soup or fried shrimp head, and a very small scoop of sesame ice cream. There is no longer a "premium" vs "non premium" option. Just one Omakase. Loved the crab hand roll. Really liked the Japanese snapper and Toro. Shrimp was a bit cold and lacking in flavor. Didn't have strong feelings about the rest. In general , the quality of the rice was very high. It almost melts in your mouth. If I go back, I'd go a la carte. Omasake was a nice way to try a lot of different sushi, but tbh not sure it's not "worth" it if you're going with someone and are willing to share with each other. Sitting at the bar was nice, would recommend.

Here for the omakase experience on a Sunday night. Very competitive price for what they are offering. Service was quite attentive and I would definitely come back if I’m in Redondo Beach again any time.

Unassuming strip mall spot in the South Bay with delicious omakase. Came here for my sister’s birthday and called ahead to make a reservation (no online reservation system). There’s a small parking lot in the front. There’s a few tables and bar seating - the restaurant is pretty cozy. Credit cards are accepted. You have the option to order a La carte, but the omakase is well done and you get a good variety. They also do ask you whether you have any allergies so they can accommodate. They do serve alcohol. The hot green tea was good and they do give free refills. My favorite pieces were the salmon and a roll with a fish from Japan (skipjack?). The salmon roe on rice was surprisingly delicious (I was a bit apprehensive at first). My family also really liked the fish with uni and the scallops. They give you a choice of miso soup with shrimp or a fried shrimp head for one of the pieces. At the end of the meal, they give you a small scoop of black sesame ice cream. There was only one waitress so things moved a bit slowly, but she did her best and was super nice.

We were looking for an affordable but quality LA omakase experience and Sushi Chitose far exceeded those expectations. It's a fairly small space hidden away in a quiet residential neighborhood. There are basic and deluxe options for omakase priced at $45 and $60. We opted for deluxe as it was still a bargain relative to the standard LA fare. The quantity was impressive, in total there were probably around 14-15 rounds with a couple consisting of multiple pieces. As someone with a large appetite, I was definitely satisfied by the end. The style was by and large pretty traditional without any crazy experimental curveballs. However, the level of technical execution was evident in the fresh, pure, and focused taste of each piece. A couple pleasant surprises included a monkfish foie gras starter and maybe the best uni/ikura pairing I've ever had (hard to beat that proximal Pacific freshness). The service was also very good throughout the meal. All in all this was an incredible bargain, maybe among the best in the city. I'd highly recommend Sushi Chitose to any level of sushi lover.

Murakami Sushi is a great sushi restaurant that offers bowls of fresh fish for under $20. They have a set menu as well as make-your-own options, and their handrolls are delicious with just the right balance of fish, rice, and veggies. The restaurant can get busy after 7-8pm on Saturdays, but it's definitely worth the wait.
Easily my favourite Sushi in LA!!! Everything is amazing. The garlic albacore crispy rice is the best I’ve ever had. This place never misses. Can’t stop coming back :)

Fast friendly service. We were given the VIP treatment. We ordered a variety of food, but my favorite was the Yellowtail collar fish. The warm sake was also a great first time experience. The staff was very welcoming and friendly providing us with constant attention. Our local family ordered their favorite foods and it was all delicious and cooked to perfection. They even brought us matcha ice-cream with a candle for well wishes on our journey home. Chef's kiss!

We love Murakami Sushi! The sushi bowl is one of our favorites. Their chefs prepare high quality ceviche, sashimi, sushi and specialty rolls. Good prices and portions of food. Wonderful staff/ service. The owner, she’s so warm and friendly. It’s easy to find metered parking on Melrose Avenue or side streets. Nice family-owned restaurant!

Murakami is our go to local sushi LA restaurant! Nothing beats the quality and the service. We found this through a Google search and we have never looked back. Every time we come it never disappoints. It's not as big as your usual chain sushi place, it's smaller and personable! The setting is quaint and good for first dates and group of friends! There is a sushi bar in the middle, and they do have a small patio outdoor seating. The dishes and the sushi chefs are your local Rockstars! The waiting and seating staff is amazing too everyone is so kind and they care. You can tell by the quality of the fish from each bite. Our go too and recommendations our: I love the OMG roll as a cut roll And if you love crispy rice I recommend that, I get the spicy tuna on top. Shishito, and Karage they have killer fried chicken! Spicy tuna in general the best, as a hand roll lover or as cut pieces you aren't missing out, both amazing!

Uzumaki Sushi is a sleek and minimalist eatery that captures the essence of Japanese cuisine with its classic sushi rolls and delightful small plates. The atmosphere is relaxed, making it an ideal spot for both casual dining and special occasions. Diners rave about the exceptional quality of the food, which showcases simple yet incredibly delicious flavors without unnecessary embellishments. The omakase experience stands out, featuring unique pieces with fresh fish and thoughtfully labeled sauce pairings that enhance each bite.
Great place, Amazing food. The ambiance is good not great. This place could be a fine dining experience but it is more of every day great sushi place m. One the best dish quality I have had in Los Angeles. The food is very simple but it’s extremely delicious. This a very difficult task to achieve. No unnecessary flavoring trying hard to make the food taste better. The service was very good , very fast. I love ginger and I hate that I have to continually ask for more. They kept my ginger plate full the whole time. I only wish they would take reservations as hate waiting for my table. I will be returning with my wife and friends for more. The albacore and yellowtail were to die for, Amazing. Over all rating 4.5 5 for sushi / fish 5 for service 4 for ambiance 3 for not taking reservations

This place is absolutely amazing. There's sushi is incredible. It's soft as butter, and yet incredibly tasty. You don't need to dip some of them in soy sauce because they put a little bit of flavoring on top. And it makes for an incredibly delicious sushi. The chef here is amazing. He makes it so fast. And all the pieces are just the right size. To put in your mouth, this is the best sushi I've ever had. The service here is impeccable. All the staff are Constantly walking by looking and picking things up if you set down an empty bowl, they are there to pick it up within a minute. And they do it without interrupting, or getting in the way they're so attentive and they don't interrupt you. They are very pleasant. They bring you the sushi within a couple minutes of when you order it. And it just makes you feel so special. The atmosphere is very simple and clean and beautiful. When you walk in here, it's like you're walking in Japan. The sushi the service Is this the atmosphere is that good

Fantastic sushi spot with good value. The Uzumaki sets are great - salmon and hamachi were standouts. The toro roll and unagi were worth it as well. Hidden gem would be the fish kaarage - the fish was so soft and flavorful, highly recommend over the chicken one Service is super quick and on point - they're always busing dishes and food came out quickly. Great for when you want something a little nicer but don't want the full Omakase

The service was also top notch. —friendly and helpful. highly recommend, defiantly going back again.

Great if you like torched salmon nigiri and other delicious fish. 2nd time here and I still enjoyed the omakase here. The staples of seared salmon and tuna really lived up to memory. The charm of this omakase is that you can continue until you’re full. Wish we had appetite to taste the entire menu, but we ended at about 20 pieces. Each plating round felt like opening a pack of collectible cards since it’s a mystery, if you know what I mean. The servers were attentive and plates and trash were taken promptly. No reservations, street parking is free after 6pm, and they have a free parking lot turning right on Washington blvd onto Tilden ave. Casual to semi formal dining experience.

Our ginger dishes never ran out and water was always full in our cups. Overall ambience was very casual. Best to get there at 5pm when they open. The restaurant fills pretty fast after 6pm. Sushi Note offers an exceptional sushi experience with its Whole Note menu at Kiminobu Saito's Valley sushi bar, featuring superb wine pairings, a romantic ambiance perfect for date nights, and attentive service. The restaurant's second location in Beverly Hills provides a more elevated menu within a minimalist setting, offering a variety of dishes including miso soup, edamame, goma tofu, sashimi, nigiri, and yuzu gelato.
This place should be called Sushi Heaven! The chef is a true maestro, passionate about every dish he serves. With an excellent selection of wines and outstanding service, you’ll feel truly taken care of. This isn’t just another sushi spot—it’s a life-changing experience.

We spent an amazing anniversary dinner date here.Sat inside (not at counter) and had excellent service. The sommelier Cherry was exceptional - gave perfect amount of overview of the wine pairing and really excellent wine selection with the courses. My favorite was the first course of a sesame tofu dish and the toros. I have a hard time keeping up with coursed meals (small stomach) - you can give the Chef a heads up and they will serve each course with half rice which helps! Loved our meal and experience and plan to come back!

Sushi Note was a great experience overall. The fish was super fresh, beautifully presented, and full of delicate flavor. The omakase felt thoughtful and balanced, and the service was friendly and knowledgeable without being too formal. It’s a bit pricey, but you can really taste the quality. A solid spot for sushi lovers looking for something refined but still relaxed.

Great place for dinner. The restaurant is cozy and service is attentive. We sat at a booth and everyone in our party each had the Whole Note omakase. We did not do any of the formal wine or sake pairings offered and instead ordered sake and beer a la carte. I'm posting pictures of everything we had that evening. I could imagine this being a nice place to bring a date. Dinner was delicious and well paced. Can highly recommend this restaurant.

10/10 no notes! An ideal restaurant to me — great energy and hum in the room but not loud, jazz background, great spacing of tables for intimate conversation, perfect friendly and attentive but not overwrought service, and of course, INCREDIBLE sushi! Sushi Tsujita is a Japanese restaurant located on Sawtelle Boulevard, offering an omakase-style sushi menu in a soothing setting with geometric decor. Despite opening intermittently due to the pandemic, the restaurant has now resumed dinner service featuring three excellent and budget-friendly set meals. The most expensive option, the $89 Tokyo set, includes seasonal appetizers, nine pieces of nigiri, two handrolls, and sake kasu ice cream for dessert.
The food was great. The staff was very attentive and explained all the dishes in detail very well. We got the Tokyo omakase that was the highest tier. It was a very good meal overall. It included uni, toro and other higher end dishes that were worth getting it for. The sushi chef was super friendly and funny and the decor was very chill. Overall the sashimi and items presented were very tasty and thoughtfully presented. I think I'd come back here to try their a la carte items.

Came here for a lunch special. Sushi, sashimi, and hand rolls all had the highest quality fish. Tempura was light and crispy. Yuzu lemonade was super refreshing on a hot day. Service was excellent throughout the meal. Parking available in a lot behind the building.

The sushi here was so well priced and fresh! We got the Tokyo set for $89. The food was very filling and the fish was high quality. We came on a Thursday evening and there were a fair amount of people even when we walked in right when they opened. The sushi chef is very energetic and the service is fantastic - our waitress proactively remade my green tea when the ice melted. Love this place! If I lived in LA I would be a regular here.

Amazing experience! I came here for my birthday dinner and the Tokyo omakase was to die for. One of the best meals I had in my life. The staff is very attentive and has great recommendations for which sake to order, you can tell that they really care about the dining experience. Each course was fresh and delicious and really highlighted the best flavors. I have never enjoyed uni before, but here it was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to be back next time I have something to celebrate.
Megan S — Google review
Best omakase that I’ve had for the price. 3 omakase’s to choose from. We had the most expensive, the Tokyo which was only $89. You get 8 pieces of sushi with most the fish from Japan. This includes uni. 2 hand rolls a one A5 Wagyu sushi. It also includes 3 appetizer dish’s which are excellent. A scollop, salmon and clam appetizer. They have a small but good sake selection. Will 100% be dinning here again!
Michael P — Google review
Came here for a special occasion to try the Omakase. All the dishes were great! The fish is as high quality as I have had anywhere and prepared with card. I think there were 5 appetizers and 9 pieces of sushi, with some other small dishes here and there. Each bite of sushi was an explosion of flavor, and an absolute delight for my senses. The chef really had a good understanding of how to use each fish to its fullest extent. Although the experience was good overall, my single complaint is that we were given very low quality, splintery disposable chopsticks. It’s an absolute shame for such high quality fish to be touched by these. Imagine if a high-end steakhouse offered its patrons cafeteria-grade plastic utensils?
Andrew — Google review
We opted for the Osaka omakase menu and it was a pleasant surprise. The fish was fresh and the dishes were creative. I thought some sushi pieces had a bit too much wasabi. The ice cream though was very small deserves extra compliment. I think the shrimp sushi could be a little better. Overall a very good omakase.
Juno S — Google review
You are visiting Tsujita because you are willing to pay for very fresh seafood and good service. The omakase is $120, well worth it. We had a vegetarian in our party, and while the menu has no vegetarian dishes, they happily whipped up some sushi and tempura. The salmon dishes, shrimp, and scallops were all great. The wasabi is notably fresh and yummy, as is the ginger (and we are not ginger people). The restaurant has a odd wooden canes vibe, 🙂. The service is great, the staff made sure our green tea was filled.

Shin Sushi, located in Encino, Los Angeles, is a sophisticated Japanese restaurant renowned for its omakase menu. The chef, Azumi, draws on his experience from top sushi bars in Tokyo and Los Angeles to offer an exquisite dining experience. The restaurant's focus is primarily on nigiri, featuring high-quality fish sourced from Japan's waters and prepared in the traditional Edomae style.
Super fun chef! Small group and reservation only! Food is spectacular. The chef explained every dish that he prepared and shared a lot of stories and jokes as well. Well fed and well entertained. It would run you $250 a head. But if you gotta do omakase, you gotta do it at Shin!

Chef is super funny and chatty. He loves explaining details about the food. Strongly recommend arriving on time, be early rather than be late. Sushi pieces were excellent. Appetizer to start was a very interesting mix of items. Dining experience felt very intimate. Only our group and another group were there. Worth the cost. Do not let the external location fool you, it is a lovely experience, and the food is excellent.

A super intimate dining experience for about $250 per head (no alcohol) depending on what you order and the season. We enjoyed speaking with the sushi chef and it was a delight hearing each story and how each fish and dish was specially and carefully curated from different parts of the world. We thought the whole cooked small crab was unique and it tasted like chips as he described. Dessert is extra and as always, I recommend trying both. I hope to come back for another special occasion, soon! Making a reservation was really easy and the owners are very accommodating. I was able to call on off hours to make the reservation a few days in advance.

$500 later with 2 glasses of wine and 1 beer, the omikase menu was good, but not the Michelin experience I had imagined. Well prepared and attractive, but the no menu take what comes was rather dull, same sushi same sushi, yes different fish, some more flavorful and tasty than others, and while it was nice, wasn't a wow. Nice intimate 8-person dining with chef preparing sushi right in front of you, so watching the show was fun and the chef was personable, but whole experience just seemed flat.

The best Omakase experience I’ve had. The chef is extremely gifted and so well spirited. Excellent knife skill and knowledge of fish. Huge respect to him and his wish to carry the restaurant name from his late father in Japan. Room seats 8 only and about 1.30-2hr dining time.

This place is exceptional!! Chef Take is a master of his craft. He takes you on an amazing journey where you try foods and tastes you’ve never heard of and experience classic sushi dishes in their purest form. He explains the story of each dish and shares where the fish is sourced. The intimate atmosphere and exceptional service from Yumi (his wife) makes you feel like you’re at home with family. Nestled within the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica, Soko is a hidden gem that redefines the sushi experience. This intimate eight-seat sushi bar, aptly named "Soko," which translates to "storeroom," was ingeniously crafted from a former storage space. Guests are treated to an exquisite menu featuring traditional nigiri, refreshing Japanese cucumber salad, and creamy miso soup.
We tried the Omakase which was an amazing experience. Soko Sushi is located within the Fairmont Miramar and Chef Masa is very personable and creates the most creative and authentic dishes. The bluefin platter really hit the spot. Will be back.

Some high quality sushi, but highly influenced by the other guests in there since it is so small. Given that it is in the Fairmont, that can be a crapshoot (like the day we went where two of the female guests were a bit tipsy, super ornery, and loud - overshadowing our experience).

WOW! I was absolutely blown away by the 7 course Omakase dinner. Very fresh fish and ingredients, so much flavor in each dish. The food is just as good as you’d get in Japan, and the tiny/intimate setting reminds me of how the restaurants are in Tokyo. I felt like I was briefly transported back to Japan! Very special shoutout to the wagyu beef course- it actually melted in my mouth! My only “complaint” is that I wish the chefs explained how to go about eating some of the courses, but they were ready to help when we did ask. I would definitely recommend coming here, it’s such a cute date night gem.

Exquisite cuisine. I had the omakase menu, which was 6 courses of perfection. The restaurant is a tiny, 8 seat counter with two tables outside. Chef is welcoming and truly very kind. Service was prompt and friendly. First course was a chilled egg custard. This had a wonderful balance between salinity and sweetness of the lobster buried in the egg. A dollop of uni on top added just the finish. Next was a bowl of ankimo. Sweet, rich, with a nice contrast with acidity and a bit of spiciness. Third course was a soy cured tuna. This was finished with a quail yolk, mountain yam, and daikon sprouts, and black truffle. Truly decadent with perfectly balance flavors and a nice contrast in textures. Very creative, beautiful to look at, and a delight to eat. Next came a rather pretty bowl of sashimi. This may be the best raw shrimp I have ever had. Of course the toro and salmon were superb. This came with freshly grated wasabi and a rich soy sauce. Fifth was a parade of nigiri. Highlights included a fabulous uni, but each selection was top notch. Last but not least was a crab miso soup with mushrooms, bok choy, and a nice accent of spice from gochujang. A perfect way to end an exquisite meal. This rivals some of the top sushi restaurants I’ve been to. Truly a fabulous visit!

Poor quality. Bristol farms supermarket sushi tastes better. Even Hillstone is better by far and I am not crazy about their sushi either. Extremely over priced and thankfully you have several options available in that neighborhood. Brothers sushi is around the corner same price point much better quality.

I was staying in the fairmont and visited soko sushi on my first night in town. The fish was amazing quality and the menu had a great variety of choices both omakase and a La carte. The sushi bar environment was very intimate and enjoyable. I definitely recommend!

Norikaya, located in Koreatown and set to open in July, is a new handroll and small Japanese plates restaurant from chef Akira Back and restaurateur Robert Kim. The space will feature minimalistic decor with a 20-person bar for dining and watching the chefs create warm handrolls. Visitors have praised the beautiful and intimate atmosphere, limited but great menu, especially highlighting the crab handroll and salad.
Came here for a last minute bite and was pleasantly surprised. Ashley our server is the sweetest and she took such good care of us despite being an hour before closing. She was fantastic with recommending dishes and checking in on us and every item was brought out in a timely manner. I really enjoyed everything here it feels elevated, it’s great for date night, light bites or a full meal. They have a great happy hour menu that I look forward to trying next time. My only critique is that some of the dishes skew sweeter than my preference but that’s just me. The granita dessert is an absolute must have and so is the uni temaki! I’ve eaten a lot of uni and theirs was particularly sweet and fresh. Will definitely come back again soon!

Stopped by for a late afternoon snack on. Sunday. We tried their yellowtail crudo and a couple of handrolls. I love scallops so I had to try theirs. Sadly it wasn’t what I expected for a seared scallop. It wasn’t bad, but the other flavors overpowered the scallop taste. Their blue crab handroll was pretty good though and it had a lot of filling that was actually hard to keep in the roll! Would I go here again? Possibly if I was already in the area. Service was super friendly.

Came here for DineLA dinner, was impressed with the variety of flavors and selections. Jazz and Bernard who took really good care of us, pleasant and attentive to everything we needed. My fav was the strawberry unagi and the yellowtail, still thinking about both dishes! Probably would skip the Galbi taco and the cheese cake. Wanted to try the yuzu granita but they ran out. The most amazing smelling and tasting house made soy sauce ever ever ever! Will definitely be back and highly recommend. Very reasonably priced.

We live around the corner and for the first noticed this spot so decided to try it. Everything was excellent from phone etiquette to ambience to service and most importantly food. Everything was incredible and they were very accommodating to my dietary restrictions without any hesitance. The prices are also so good especially considering how overpriced mediocre food is priced in the neighborhood. Highly recommend this, definitely our new neighborhood spot. Special thank you to Brendan + the Chef.

From appetizers to desserts, this restaurant exceeded all our expectations! My sister and I especially enjoyed the appetizers, yellowtail sashimi, hand rolls and napa cabbage salad! They have a variety of food choices and beverage options as well. The place is very clean and modern. The server was very nice too. Highly recommended!”

Food is so good, fish and uni are fresh, uni is sweet and tasty. Every course of the tasting menu worth a try. Brandon is so nice and lights our day, the playlists in the resto have a good taste. Recommend ✨

I hate to say this but it’s probably one of my worst dining experiences. We had a reservation but still waited for over ten minutes. The staff was nice but the restaurant had very unfortunate management. We were mistakenly served a roll during our appetizer. After finishing our appetizer, we didn't get any food for a full 45 minutes. Our main courses were all served to the people next to us. It wasn't until we pointed it out that we hadn't been served for over half an hour that they finally got our food. The staff apologized and they were very nice, but it couldn’t save it from the fact that the whole place was short staffed and pretty chaotic. The food was tasty but nothing special. The service was a real letdown.

The service probably decline due to it being about to close but overall the food quality and taste is very good! I would for sure come here again! I recommend the lobster!

Sushi restaurant
Sushi Note Omakase is a hidden gem located in an old hair salon within the Rodeo Collections parking garage in Beverly Hills. With only four counter seats and a few quiet tables, this intimate restaurant offers a 20-course menu of simple and elegant sushi. The co-owner, musician David Gibbs, was surprised to open this tiny restaurant serving the best sushi outside Japan. Guests rave about the incredible experience, praising the knowledgeable and passionate sushi chefs and sommelier.
Booked a reservation here at the sushi bar to celebrate a special occasion. We were very impressed with the upscale but not too stuffy vibe. The restaurant is small (less than 20 seats) so it had an intimate vibe that made things feel cozy in a good way. The entire staff was friendly and informative. We loved the presentation & delivery for every dish. Reasonably priced for the overall experience. Would love to come back again soon!

Hidden gem in a parking basement – feels like stepping into a ship’s cabin. Two sushi chefs work with quiet precision right in front of you. Every detail is elegant – from the ceramic plates to the curated sake and wine list. The omakase menu is tight, focused, and absolutely world-class. Around 20 pieces, including top-tier selections like toro, caviar, uni – each bite dialed in with finesse. Easily one of the best quality-to-price ratios in all of LA. A true masterclass in restraint, craft, and flavor.

Intimate 14 seat restaurant w 4 seats at the bar. Sitting at the bar is a treat watching Chef Earl Aguilar as well as his Sous Chef (game over tattoo) prepare elegant gorgeous pieces, after all, you eat with your eyes. Extensive wine list. Easily accommodates dietary restrictions.

This was a nice! 1st the not so good things. Sadly, no cocktails. Bathrooms are outside the tiny restaurant. A couple dishes personally were rough to take down such as the wagu which was too chewy that I couldn't swallow it and the uni from Japan. Uni from Mediterranean waters is much sweeter. The rest of the dishes were quite lovely! Simple yet elegant on the plates. Great way to try other fish than the usual. Quaint cute place which seats 14. Servers was attentive. Not my 1st time doing a omakase tasting. Happy to have had this experience as well.

I never write reviews, but this was literally an incredible experience - the sushi chefs and the sommelier were amazing, super knowledgeable and passionate about their omakase and beverage offerings. It was really the best sushi I’ve had in LA (and I’ve been to a bunch of the other omakase spots). The tuna, shrimp and caviar, and wagyu pieces were the highlights, but everything was seriously incredible. Reasonable price point compared to the crazy expensive places these days. It was my husband’s birthday and they surprised us with this amazing yuzu drink and dessert at the end. It has a speakeasy feel as you enter into a small restaurant through the parking garage. I can’t wait to return!
Lauren M — Google review
Outstanding omakase in Beverly Hills with a delightful wine pairing. Delicious fish and balanced rice combined with creative wine pairings made this a fantastic dinner. The sweet shrimp and caviar with champagne was a bite to remember. Topped off with very friendly staff - what is not to love!
Jared D — Google review
The evening was pleasant and the staff were knowledgeable, attentive and kind, which made the experience enjoyable. However, the omakase itself fell short for me. Toward the end, we were offered the “option” of repeating some favorites, but it wasn’t made clear that this would add extra charges. Desserts were also presented in a way that suggested multiple items, but only one arrived. For nearly $1,000, I expected more transparency, larger sushi cuts and at least one dish that really left a lasting impression. Unfortunately, while everything was good, nothing stood out as a true “wow” moment. The complimentary champagne for my girlfriend’s birthday was thoughtful, but it didn’t offset the feeling that the value wasn’t quite there. Overall, this felt overpriced for what was delivered and I would give it 3 stars.

Sushi restaurant
Udatsu Sushi in Los Angeles offers an authentic taste of Tokyo's sushi scene. The eight-seat sushi counter provides a memorable omakase experience, with waitstaff dressed in traditional kimonos catering to every need. Downstairs at Rokusho, guests can enjoy cocktails and casual Japanese fare before heading upstairs for premium bottles of sake. Chef Hisashi Udatsu ensures a top-notch dining experience, while the attentive service adds to the overall enjoyment.
Having dined at countless sushi establishments across the city, I can confidently say that Udatsu Sushi stands in a league of its own. This intimate 8-seat omakase experience feels like being transported directly to a backstreet in Tokyo's Ginza district. From the moment you step inside, Chef Shingo Ogane's meticulous attention to detail is evident. The sleek concrete counter, perfectly illuminated to showcase each dish, provides a contemporary backdrop that lets the food take center stage. The progression of courses demonstrates an innate understanding of flavor building – starting with lighter, delicate cuts before moving into richer, more complex offerings. The rice is a revelation – perfectly body-temperature warm, seasoned with a precision that allows each grain to remain distinct while holding together just long enough to reach your mouth. The fish selection reflects both seasonality and the chef's decades of experience, with each piece treated with exactly what it needs – sometimes just a whisper of nikiri, other times an inspired combination of complementary ingredients that elevates without overwhelming. At $225 per person, this experience delivers exceptional value through the quality of ingredients, level of skill, and genuine hospitality that makes each guest feel like a regular. Reservations are understandably difficult to secure, but the effort is richly rewarded with one of the most authentic and exceptional sushi experiences outside of Japan. A true 5-star gem that reminds us why omakase remains the ultimate expression of sushi craftsmanship.

Amazing omakase experience! Some dishes are super inventive, everything is incredibly fresh, and the flavors are spot on. Portions are quite generous, so make sure to come hungry. I’ll definitely be coming back!

If you’re in LA and looking for a next-level omakase experience, Udatsu Sushi is a must. Tucked away in a sleek, intimate setting, this spot delivers craftsmanship, flavor, and service in perfect harmony. The chef's attention to detail is unmatched—every piece felt like a personal story told through sushi. But the absolute showstopper? The Double Uni Nigiri. Creamy, briny, melt-in-your-mouth perfection. It’s the kind of bite that makes you close your eyes and just feel happiness. From start to finish, every course was artful and fresh, with pacing and presentation that kept us excited for the next surprise. Service was warm, attentive, and deeply knowledgeable without being overbearing. Yes, it’s a splurge—but worth every penny. This is sushi that reminds you why omakase is an experience, not just a meal. @sushitraveler

Exceptional, rarified traditional Èdo Maè Sushi where the ultra high quality and specialized seafood from mainly Japan is emphasized by the Japanese chef with years of experience at his craft. If you come expecting Sushi rolls with inferior fish decorated by nuance destroying squiggles of mayonnaise, Sriracha, sweet eel "sauce", you will be disappointed. Truly for discriminating Sushi gourmands who are willing to pay the price of entry.
Gary I — Google review
A really special experience. Observing Chef Shingo Ogane prepare every dish is really magical. I loved everything about this night. I was concerned after booking that Tock charged a 20% service fee… so I was a bit apprehensive, but when you tip at the end of the meal it is only on beverages and any add ons you might order.
Aaron G — Google review
It’s good to see more inspiring young chefs with a nice atmosphere and good service. However, the food is pretty standard and not much different from other casual sushi places. I was expecting something more innovative for the price.
Ricky L — Google review
100/100 for the hospitality. However, the sushi was not good. Rice fell apart and had unevenly distributed vinegar. Fish quality was below standard, I’ve had better fish in chicago which is a really low bar to compare to. The chef mass produced all the cuts before the meal started, so we sat in silence for 15 minutes. Terrible, horrible seats. Children screams from downstairs. Odd pacing in the beginning. Was surprised the 5:30 reservation meant a 6:00 start (they did mention it in the fine print so this is my fault).
Jojo T — Google review
I’ve had a few omakase experiences globally and have nothing but good things to say about Udatsu. The ingredients are a combination of local and Japanese fish, and the chef is actually from the Tokyo location. I loved the toro courses and the uni course! I will be back!!

Nobu Malibu, a beachfront restaurant by Iron Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, offers a fusion of Japanese delicacies and California cuisine in a modern setting. The minimalist design with Pacific Ocean views creates an ambiance perfect for enjoying new-school sushi and celebrity-spotting. Despite the high prices, the menu delivers on flavor with dishes like creamy uni tacos and yellowtail jalapeno sashimi.
Lunch with a view! Every dish was beautifully executed—flavourful, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully plated. The sauces and spices added depth without overpowering the natural flavour and freshness of the fish. Portions are on the smaller side, so you’ll likely need several dishes to feel full. Guests can easily spend $100+ per person, without drinks. Worth it for the quality and experience, but good to know in advance.

Good food and great views. Service started out very well but once they got more busy, they kind of just forgot about us. Took a long time for dessert menus and after not coming back for our orders, we ended up skipping that and just settling the bill. It's a very pricey restaurant so I expected better than that.

Love Nobu Malibu! Of everything - you have to get the scallop truffle chips. The views are just impeccable, service is amazing, and quality is delicious. We tried the Nobu Signature Menu this time which came with 8 courses (4 cold and 4 hot). It was nice to give a taste into the restaurant.

First of all I didn’t know Nobu was a Japanese Peruvian fusion which made the whole experience even more interesting. We did the omakase and it was amazing. I loved the tiradito the wagyu nigiri the filet mignon and honestly almost everything. The drinks were also really good and at that price point that’s the least I expect. Overall it’s a once in a lifetime experience and I would say it’s worth it because the whole vibe there is just perfect

Absolutely immaculate vibes, location, atmosphere, service, and food that I would say make Nobu Malibu definitely worth the cost & the drive! I recently went to Nobu Malibu for a dinner date to celebrate our 10 year anniversary! Upon arriving with a reservation, we were promptly seated on the patio space that faces the ocean - I loved the views and the atmosphere here - 100% perfect! The sound of the crashing waves every few minutes, the warm..cozy lighting, the upscale and yet relaxing, chill atmosphere..I'm in love! There were also plenty of heat lamps above, so even on a chilly November evening, I actually felt a little bit hot! Service was EXTREMELY attentive, friendly, and helpful with giving information and advice on menu items/customizing things to personal preferences. Of the food we got here, the Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna was a definite favorite!! A perfect blend of the crunchy exterior and an explosion from within as you take a bite - perfectly subtle heat and spice to match the rest of the flavor profiles. Everything else we ordered was similarly high-quality and solid - the only thing we'd probably skip on a future visit is the Rock Shrimp Tempura..which honestly just tasted a bit mushy and bland. We also enjoyed a couple rounds of cocktails during our dinner - all the drinks were beautifully presented and had a good strength to them. My favorite of the evening was the Malibu Breeze - a great option for anyone who enjoys a lightly fruity cocktail! All in all, this was the perfect spot to celebrate 10 years together, and they gave us a wonderful evening. I definitely believe Nobu Malibu is worth the hype, especially when wishing to celebrate a special occasion!

Nobu Matsuhisa… you did it again! This is by far my favorite location of this restaurant. The beach is gorgeous and the atmosphere of the place is out of this world. Of course it is expensive but this is a go to place when you need to celebrate something! I will say though that they do not give free desert on your birthday!

Having just moved to LA, I was extremely excited to take my date to Nobu, it's a restaurant I've dined at and enjoyed at multiple of their locations. Seeing as this is their main location I did expect a little extra LA spice, but was quite disturbed at our treatment. Quickly after ordering our waiter misgendered my partner, plainly, the waiter addressed me and my boyfriend ladies. :/ We were noticeably treated different and more poorly then others. Beware if you are visibly queer. Discrimination aside, do not expect high end service, despite the price. Waiter did not notice when drinks were empty, plates needed to be cleared, if valet was to be called after the meal, or even check in. Hostesses were stiff and used pushy language to try to encourage us to a less desirable seat. Some staff were friendly, though clumsy and bumped into our table multiple times. Aside from that the view was impeccable, location is to die for. Food was good, but lacked graceful timing, as some plates were left to linger while others we were rushed through.

Restaurant
n/naka offers an upscale Japanese dining experience with chef Niki Nakayama at the helm. This modern restaurant provides a 13-course modern kaiseki meal, showcasing seasonal ingredients, including organic vegetables from its own garden. Known for its feature on Netflix's "Chef's Table," n/naka is a sought-after dining spot in Los Angeles.
n/naka is simply stunning from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and lead to our table. The space itself is gorgeous. The service is warm, friendly and approachable - never stuffy or stiff as some might expect of a 2 star Michelin restaurant. The menu is an exquisite journey - each course a work of art that builds on itself. The tasting menu changes 5 times a year. The highlights during our meal were the lobster croquette and the pasta with fish roe, abalone and truffles. Everything was incredible, but these 2 dishes were decadent and delicious. The meal is an experience to remember. There are those meals that stay with you for your lifetime, and Chef Niki has meticulously created that for diners here.
Shaun Y — Google review
One of the best meals I have ever had. Chef Nakayama has definitely proven that she is more than worthy of her Michelin star status. The chef’s meal was 13 courses that were carefully prepared and served in a specific order so that each dish could be enjoyed to its fullest. I also got to enjoy the wine and sake pairings which showcase some amazing sakes that were imported from Japan and went extremely well with the dishes that were served. If you are a fan of Japanese food or just amazing food in general, I would highly recommend this restaurant this is definitely one for the bucket list.
Matthew I — Google review
This 2-stars Michelin experience was on par with the 2,3-stars experiences I had in Europe and South America. Ambience was relaxed and cozy. Like, dining at friends home. John, our server was warm & humorous. The current Fall menu paid homage to Japan’s classics in the Fall with an LA twist. Many courses had wow factor surprises, and perfectly executed creativity. No flops. Chef Niki paid attention to the tiniest details. Price is high, but then we are in LA. Many restaurants charge as much if not more for tasting menus. It is worth the resy trouble & saving for an experience. The pairing price though has a slightly lower QPR. The use of a distinctive Albariño to pair with the nigiri dish was unexpectedly good. Also loved the complimentary welcome tea & sake which were not part of the “sake & wine pairing”). The take home gift bag cookies and tea bag was nice touch. Also, really can’t compared to the kaiseki in Japan, this isn’t the most traditional kaiseki but LA kaiseki at its finest. Well deserved the 2-stars. I am honestly curious about their winter menu come January. Better start saving up. 😛

It was simply an unforgettable evening. The food was indescribably delicious. So much attention to detail, so tasty and diverse. Simply brilliant. And the staff was so kind and incredibly attentive. World-class. And the wine pairing and the selected Sakes were fantastic. It was a great honor and joy for us to dine there and have such an unforgettable evening. 20 of 5 Stars!!!

Had an unbelievable experience here at Nnaka with my mom for her 65th birthday. It included a 13 course meal with some bonus dishes. Each dish was meticulously made and incredibly delicious. Imports ingredients from around the world made the dishes seem that much more special. At $365/person, it was a little under a $1k for 2 people including tax and tip, but well worth the EXPERIENCE. The chefs greeted us at the end of the meal and we left knowing we had the best meals of our lives. I've been to many other Michelin star restaurants and this was on another level. They really deserve to have their 2nd star back. Please give it back to them.

My dining experience at n/naka was nothing short of extraordinary. Chef Niki Nakayama and her team delivered an unforgettable kaiseki meal, paired with impeccable service. Each dish was a masterpiece—unique, artfully presented, and bursting with an explosion of flavors. The interplay of salty and sweet, hot and cold, soft and dense, umami and bright acidity created a perfect harmony that delighted the palate. From the first course to the last, every bite was a revelation, showcasing incredible creativity and precision. The waitstaff elevated the evening further with their exceptional knowledge of the menu, guiding us through each course with warmth and expertise. Securing a reservation was no small feat, but the effort was undeniably worth it for a dining experience that will stay with us forever. n/naka is a true gem, and I can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone seeking a once-in-a-lifetime culinary journey.

We came for our 9th wedding anniversary and I am already wanting to plan another trip. We first heard of Chef Nikki and n/naka years ago when my wife and I were still just dating in school and watching the first season of Chef's Table on Netflix. It was the first episode we put on and we fell in love with what she stood for and the work she put in. Years later, she still shines, and her drive and the art in her work are just as described. We felt like honored guests and I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel valued and who enjoys good food. She changes her menu around, so you'll have to see for yourself, but it was a beautifully crafted kaiseki. Thank you for a wonderful night!

Marugame Monzo is a popular spot in the Little Tokyo district of Los Angeles, offering a variety of udon dishes prepared with hand-pulled noodles in an open kitchen. The restaurant provides a genuine traditional Japanese dining experience, featuring Japanese tapas, rice bowls, and signature udon dishes cooked to perfection. The interior design is simple yet inviting, and the exceptional customer service adds to its charm.
The udon here is terrific - you can taste the freshness of the noodles! Highly recommend the uni udon and the hot dragon udon, they’re top rated for a reason!

Honestly, I don’t see the hype about this place. I got the beef bukkake udon with an added egg. It was just boring. The noodles were fresh but it didn’t taste anything mind blowing. The service was also very mid. I honestly didn’t know how to eat the cold udon and all I tasted was the daikon so I prob did it completely wrong but they didn’t seem to care. They were very curt with words until I left.

The wait time around 7pm was around 15min, given that most parties did not show up or left, which worked in our advantage. The House signature dishes are fantastic. The creamy Uni udon was fantastic. The appetizers as well. All around we had a great time here!

The udon was good and the portion was generous, and the takoyaki was delicious. We came during rush hour, so we had to sit outside, and the restroom was always full, so we couldn’t use it. The prices are a bit high for the quality expected, and the staff could be a little more attentive. Still, it’s an option to consider if you’re near Little Tokyo.

Marugame Monzo is a true gem in Little Tokyo, offering one of the most memorable udon experiences in Los Angeles. Their creative approach to this beloved Japanese comfort food elevates it far beyond the ordinary. The tempura arrives hot, golden, and perfectly crisp—each bite showcasing expert technique. The fish roe shrimp udon stands out for its remarkable depth of flavor and the superb, chewy texture of the noodles that captures the essence of authentic Japanese craftsmanship. Though the restaurant is small and often bustling, the wait is absolutely worth it. Every bowl here reflects care, precision, and genuine artistry—making Marugame Monzo one of the finest udon destinations I’ve had the pleasure of visiting.

Very chewy and tangly noodles! Wow what a crisp draft beer. Only if it was bigger… The creamy udons are specialty dish and it’s good but if you are going with your partner, i think it’s a good mix to get one plain broth udon and one creamy one to balance the meal out. Takoyaki was very good.

Tried the cold bukkake udon and hot beef egg udon, flavors were pretty good but having tried other udon places in Japan and other cities, this one was average. Expected the udon to have more chew and bouncier texture. The price also felt high given how simple the ingredients were, service was friendly though!

Restaurant
Osawa is a popular Japanese restaurant located in Old Town Pasadena, known for its chic blond-wood-accented space and authentic cuisine. The restaurant is owned by a husband-and-wife duo, executive chef Shigefumi and Sayuri Tachibe, who offer a fusion of traditional and modern Japanese dishes. The menu features an array of small Japanese plates, classic Bento boxes, rice bowls with Udon noodles, and beef curry.
You can count on Osawa to deliver fresh, high quality, sushi every time. It’s got great ambience and the service is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I’d recommend a reservation because it’s super popular. I had a reservation for my bday last month and still had to wait 45 mins and rush through eating since they were closing soon. I’d definitely just plan ahead. This place is worth it. I haven’t found better quality sushi than this place!

Exceptional food, the freshest fish, brilliantly crafted desserts, and heartwarming hospitality from the whole team. Lots of thought put into all the details and side dishes, with subtle, elevated takes on even the simple classics (I really loved how they did the eggplant.) So good I had to cancel my other reservations and eat here twice in one day. A Pasadena gem I’ll look forward to visiting again.

We haven't gone for a while but went recently during brunch. Without any reservations, we lined up as walk-ins, seated immediately as we were the first guests. We ordered the bento box with tuna sashimi, sushi, salmon, Angus beef steak, and seaweed w/ rice, the kids meal, the sashimi lunch, and the spicy tuna bento box. (or something like that). It was so good, the salmon especially melted in my mouth, and the seaweed was really good, and that was unexpected. The whole meal took me aback, definitely coming back. No bad things about this place, and the bathrooms are really clean as well. A little expensive, but worth it.

Very fresh and seasonal, lots of delicious different flavors, go regularly and chef learns preferences and allergies, like the relaxed atmosphere, great sake selection

Nice street side Japanese sushi place where you can sit outside. The portions are reasonable size and the sushi is very fresh. Service was quick and a nice place to come for a quick bite to eat.

After seeing all review and decide to give it a try . Sushi is ok but definitely not worth the price . Sushi rolls that we ordered look cheap and I could get those from a supermarket for way cheaper price. Under expectation , over priced and kinda disappointed. The reason I gave 3 stars because the owner is super nice .

Well it was my first time at this little Sushi place in Beverly Hills. Miso soup was excellent. All the sushi was great. Lovely interior with both booths and tables. Service was great. Nice menu with many choices. Reasonable prices.

I've been coming here for quite a while and every time I've been here, the service has been good...food too. I am very basic when it comes to sushi. I'm not into the overkill of stuff like the CA Rolls, etc. I usually get the Salmon Nigiri with truffle oil. Yellowtail is really good too. Really good wasabi....that really matters. I've also ordered the lobster fried rice in the past...that was really good.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Little Tokyo, Sushi Enya is a charming and laid-back Japanese eatery that has become a beloved destination for sushi enthusiasts. Under the expert guidance of Chef Kimiyasu Enya, who honed his skills in Japan for over a decade, this establishment offers an array of delectable sushi options alongside traditional staples.
This was hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had. Sitting at the bar was a fantastic experience, allowing direct interaction with the chefs and a perfect view of the sushi-making process, complete with their insightful comments. We ordered as we went and tried multiple sushi options, including chef recommendations. The Crunchy Vegas roll was the standout—absolutely incredible. The staff was incredibly polite and welcoming, making the experience even more memorable. We loved it so much that we returned the very next day for more. While it’s a bit on the pricier side, it’s worth every penny. The location in Little Tokyo is also perfect. Highly recommended!

Great staff, great sushi chefs. I walked in on a slow weekday and they sat me at the bar. Fish was very fresh, good value for the the portions.

Fish quality is great really. But this is only worth it if you get nigiri or sashimi and even then I feel it’s a bit expensive for the area. Do not get any rolls because you will be skimped out on sushi. I ordered the rainbow roll and had tiny thin see through pieces, ik they won’t be as big as a sashimi piece but still this is insane because ik a few sushi places in la for slightly cheaper w bigger chunks on the rolls. Sushi enya is not worth it

Sushi Enya - omg. All expectations met. From the freshest fish, to the delicious sauce combinations, to the amazing staff. Our party came hungry and left beyond satisfied. Saturday, no reservation - we waited 15 mins before doors and were seated right away.

Best sushi I've had outside of Japan thus far. You might look at the prices and think it expensive, but I kid you not when I say it is 100% worthy of that price and more. The fish MELTS in your mouth; it is so fresh and delicate. There was not a single thing I ate that wasn't excellent. This is REAL sushi - no giant blobs of awkwardly seasoned (or unseasoned) rice, no thick and chewy slabs of fish, no "fishy" tasting roe or mackerel. Everything is incredibly fresh. Each offering a perfectly proportioned and balanced bite. I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in LA.

The best sushi I’ve had in a while! Must try their truffle toro - absolutely worth it! All the rolls were great as well.

Authentic Japanese sushi at finest quality. This place serves sushi prepared at high-end style. Everything will feel perfectly enjoyable. Hence, they do use a bit of yuzu, but it makes the sushi a bit more unique and stylish. The roles are great, and prepared in the right size for a bite. It is size also the kids can enjoy easily. Hence, the price point is not in the lower end. But the quality justifies it.

Came here for dinner in a group of 7 on a Friday night. We had to wait for an hour to get seated since we had a large group with no reservation. Indoor seating only. They have a omakase option but we all opted for a la carte. I had a chirashi bowl which was quite filling and had a lot of fish. I got green tea which came with free refills. Service was friendly and there are gendered restrooms in the back. Metered street parking. Credit cards accepted. It’s a classy spot to eat high quality fish.

Noshi Sushi is a Japanese restaurant that is popular for its sushi and teriyaki dishes. It has both indoor and outdoor seating, and typically requires payment in cash. The Chicken Breast and Tempura are both favorites of the staff at Noshi Sushi, who appreciate the quality of the food.
Hands down the highest quality sushi I’ve ever had. Their crunchy spicy tuna roll and spider roll are ridiculously good and I highly recommend trying them. Just be aware the portions are semi-small. I will admit though, our waiter forgot about us for at least 30 minutes after being seated and it was hard to flag down any other waiters because they were so understaffed and busy (on a weekend evening). Other than that they have an awesome warm and lively atmosphere loaded with Japanese decorations.

I visited again after a long time. I visited for lunch and there were a lot of customers, but parking was okay. It is a restaurant with a good Japanese atmosphere. It feels like I am in Japan. The fish doesn't feel that fresh, but the sushi is presented beautifully. The price is also reasonable.

My family and I frequent here very often. My mom love to get the sashimi boat and is alway amazed by the thick cut and how fresh it always is and my favorite from here the super chirashi bowl because of the variety seafood it comes. Also extra love because there’s plenty of parking and it free!

This place has been open since as long as I've been alive it feels like. The food was amazing and there was no wait for lunch at around 12:30pm. I think the place is cash only so might wanna double check but other than that, it was an amazing experience.
JS K — Google review
Like many others reviewing, have been eating here for many years. Since their change in management/ownership the quality has gone down so bad. Everyone knows the economy is hard so when you go out to a sushi restaurant it's a treat. Why am I eating a one inch thick block of sashimi that's tough/not fresh tasting and like it's been sitting in the sashimi section at hmart for half a week while training to be the next Michael Phelps until it gets bought. I can understand thick cuts and have had thicker ones where you can taste the blade/careful part selection to be of higher quality. Not the case. Japanese cuisine often favors delicacy/ daintyness in cuts over thick steaks like the west, and that's a part of the enjoyable aspect. Before you think "oh it's takeout" ...no. my family always goes and gets me take out and I eat it asap for the past 10 years. Never like this. Just go to hmart and buy the salmon sashimi there for a better price & = or better quality. Am I nuts for bringing out a ruler... sure maybe why not. But that's how bad it was that it drove me to take a pic and write this long review. I always get the salmon sashimi, and sometimes their chicken teriyaki. It's my favorite food but i can barely finish eating this cuz it's so bad. All the people w good reviews/saying it's not that bad as the bad reviews make it, yeah you're new and don't know that this was a spot you could expect quality over your local suburb most convenient sushi place. The chicken teriyaki tastes like if public school food or something you could microwave from ralphs since the chicken meat is poor/average now. I've had mid chicken teriyaki before and I consider yoshinoya meat above this cuz it was so dry, tough,& full of the bad stringy parts. Maybe their other dishes aren't so bad, but avoid these if you don't want regret.
Saffra B — Google review
I will definitely say that food is much better when you dine in vs. takeout. Made reservation for 3 on Friday night, and we were seated quickly. It was pretty full when we arrived and started to form a wait line around after 7 pm. This is probably the only place I order spicy tuna roll. as you will see from the photo, the roll is stuffed with spicy tuna. Kinda like spicy mayo tuna. Fish was fresh, and the service was great! Better food and better experience when you dine in for sure.

want to start off by saying that this place is definitely timeless and i understand why it is one of the first ever sushi places in LA. The prices are unbelievable and i went with 2 other friends and ended up ordering a lot of food. The thing with sushi it’s hard to get full usually, but here the sushi that would be 2-3x the price is affordable and delicious. The atmosphere is great and authentic and your surroundings are pleasant and vibrant. Lots of people speaking japanese to the sushi chef and made the experience at the bar feel fun. i wish i got more pictures but we were starving but we wanted to try a little bit of everything. This place is great for family and friends and even a date at the bar for a fun time. make sure to on off hours or make a reservation if you can cause it can get packed in there. Overall it’s worth a drive to the K town area and get full.
Jonathan T — Google review
They've got their sushi game on lock, from the freshest fish to the expertly crafted rolls. And let me tell you, the attention to detail is next level. The chefs here are like sushi samurais, and they roll up some mouthwatering creations. The menu, oh man, it's a sushi adventure. You've got your classic California rolls and sashimi for the traditionalists, but the specials are where things get wild. Unique flavor combos, unexpected ingredients, and fresh catches of the day – it's like a sushi journey for your taste buds. The ambiance is zen-like, with cool vibes and a sushi bar where you can watch the masters at work. Whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout, the staff is super friendly and makes sure you're well taken care of. In a city known for its diverse food scene, this place is a hidden gem in the sushi world. Whether you're a sushi connoisseur or just a newbie, you've gotta try their sushi. It's some of the best in town, and you'll be thanking your lucky stars you found this spot. So, get your chopsticks ready and dive into a sushi adventure – you won't be disappointed!

Mrs. Fish in DTLA offers a contemporary space adorned with colorful artwork, featuring Japanese plates, sushi, and an extensive whiskey program. The restaurant boasts a vibrant staircase leading to a subterranean paradise with a suspended 5,500-gallon aquarium and an abundance of art. Guests can indulge in delectable dishes such as Scottish Salmon Sashimi and Japanese mountain yams while enjoying the serene underwater atmosphere.
Went here for date night first birthday celebration for my fiance. Service was really good very attentive kept our table filled with drinks and cleaned out our old dishes as they were done. Everything about the atmosphere the service the food was really good the fish was pretty fresh the selection is good the drinks are really to die for. Are server was Jordan who took care of us very well. I will definitely be back in the future with my fiance soon to be wife. The decor was also really good with fish tanks and actual fish swimming everywhere. The bathrooms are really nice I'm clean. The good thing about this restaurant is the location it's on the perch building an after we were done eating we went to the rooftop to enjoy two more cocktails for the night and call it a night.

First timer. Boyfriend took me here for my bday. Service was great. Food was pretty good. Went with the four course option ($80) it was worth it. Decent options to pick from. I was expecting the atmosphere to be a bit more sophisticated, but it’s a bit lax (not a bad thing) just based off of the other patrons attire. I would totally come here again, especially just for drinks if I’m not interested in eating.

The food is amazing and the aquarium they have inside to look at while your eating. Awesome ! To take pictures with your people's and friends. And they have a live DJ playing all the jams. This is a must go! And the price is not bad at all. I went in a party of 6 people and we all a minimum of 2 drinks and a bunch of sushi rolls and appetizers. For $800.00.
JOHN M — Google review
The food was just okay. The sushi rolls were mediocre at best. I expected more from a restaurant that enforces an upscale casual dress code. The location felt a bit sketchy, which took away from the overall experience. The aquarium, which is a major draw, was much smaller than it appears in photos and reviews. I was also let down by the cocktail selection. Overall, the place seems to be trying for a trendy vibe but didn’t quite hit the mark.

What a vibe! ✨ We absolutely loved everything about Mrs. Fish, the staff, the food, and the ambiance were all outstanding. Miguel, the host, was incredibly accommodating and friendly, and Lisa made us feel so welcome! 🙂 We had a fantastic time at the sushi bar and were truly impressed with the quality and presentation. This place is a hidden treasure that we can’t wait to visit again! 🐠

Very nice ambiance with fish tanks, nice decor and great music. The waiter was nice and did his best on a busy Friday night. Drinks were tasty but not as strong and the food was okay. Presentation was nice but the flavors were just okay. I would return again and try other options on the menu.

We had a reservation for my friend's birthday dinner so there was no wait. We all decided to order the Chef's 4 course meal. I chose the Japanese potato salad to start. Double Tuna on Crispy Rice for the appetizer. The Nigiri platter as my entree. Finally, the Gelato and Sorbet for dessert. I was satisfied with every choice except my appetizer. They have 2 bars and the DJ is always playing great music. We have been here before and the atmosphere is why we keep coming back. Parking can be difficult so valet is the way to go. You can chill at the bars after dinner or go to Perch next door.

Shibumi is a kappo-style Japanese restaurant and bar located in Downtown L.A., offering an elegant and mesmerizing dining experience with a focus on seasonality. Chef David Schlosser's meticulous approach to creating dishes involves extreme effort, such as ripening prawns for months and slow-smoking salmon over cherry bark. The intimate 40-seat restaurant specializes in kappo cuisine, using the highest quality local, organic, and sustainable ingredients served on handmade ceramics.
Sashimi and in-house miso is amazing! The rice ice-cream desert was so tasty. Loved the craftspersonship in the food and diningware. It was the perfect amount of food. Romantic date night. I liked the casual and intimate setting. Will go again.

Do not come here, the food is not worth the money. Taste is not a Michelin standard at all. Wait time between dishes is extremely long. The whole restaurant is a bar, not a place for you to enjoy food. You have 0 interactions with the chef, although they call themselves an Omakase. Waiters are not well trained. Save some money and find some fine dining.
Jack G — Google review
The omakase experience was very lackluster. We anticipated more from a 1* Michelin restaurant - unfortunately the food fell short massively. The amount of money paid for the food was disappointing. The wagyu at the time tasted off, the following courses didn't taste anything special and I felt very hungry afterwards. I had the sake pairing but I still felt like the service wasn't up to par. I would suggest spending your money else where. Hopefully it improved since I was there last time.

Head Chef Max and team exceeded all my expectations and more with a complete and elevated dining experience. The tempura fresh water eel and cherry blossom wrapped cod were standouts. Also, the sake menu was to die for. Max, the chef, spent careful time explaining the origin of dishes and the plating was superb. Would highly recommend to any food/japanese enthusiast. Going home happy and full.

When visiting LA, my husband and I decided to have dinner at Shibumi. It’s been 4 months since our visit, and I am still dreaming of the food. The cannabis tempura and shredded shiitake tempura were my absolute favorite. I ordered thirds of each. We also tried the skipjack tuna, pork jowl with steamed rice, grilled California holstein beef strip, and for dessert, the koji (r)ice cream! We even had the pleasure of meeting Chef David as he brought a course to our table! We’ll be back!

Stopped in while walking home and tried the house green fig soda. Great drink with a great atmosphere while chatting up staff I was convinced to make a dinner reservation for the following night. Friday nights dinner reservation was wonderful the vegetarian menu was modified to vegan for my wife and I without hesitation from the kitchen. A menu that felt like an edible history lesson, I found myself exited for every dish that came out. Really neat like tid bit that caught my attention: the mismatched ceramics is a charming addition as well as the good repaired ceramics for a traditional touch. Awesome late night dinner local in DTLA

Shibumi had been on my bucket list for so long and we finally visited for my birthday while on vacation. We splurged quite a bit on this meal, and it was totally worth it: every bite was magic. There are really no words to describe just how memorable and amazing this meal was. Beyond the food, though, one of my favorite parts of the meal was, when ordering sake, you get to choose your sake cup from their vast collection (a harder decision than actually picking the sake!).

Really enjoyed the food especially the sea bass and omakase bowl with my family. They were able to sit the 8 of us on the patio. Don’t let the outside of the place fool you, the food is high quality with each bite melting in your mouth. Would come again for the food and service. Yuika was such a great server thank you for being so accommodating to our big group!

I took my husband here for his birthday and this place is definitely my number 1 right now! We went on a Tuesday at 4pm and there were only 3 other parties seated when we got there. It was very clean and we were welcomed when we opened the door. We both ordered the premium 12 piece omakase (~$100 each) and we could tell much thought and preparation went into each fish that was served. Each piece was a master piece; professionally cut and sauced that we didn't have to do anything but put wasabi on top. The cold draft asahi was a great pairing with their ice cold beer cups. Even the wasabi and ginger tasted of great quality! If you're an uni lover, definitely come try from here because they have the best uni I've ever had! I did take off one star because when the tray of omakase was delivered, they did not provide an explanation of what was being served. I feel like having that explanation is all part of the omakase experience. We've ordered omakase at plenty of different sushi restaurants in LA, Japan, and Hawaii and they've always explained to us each dish that was served. It could have been because we sat at a table away from the chef, but even then the server would tell us what's on the plate. Either way, the fish was so delicious this small inconvenience is easy to overlook. I would go back, but maybe sit at the bar closer to the chef.
Mikhaile Q — Google review
We tried the $99 DINE LA menu at Izakaya Osen and it was so worth it. Every dish was super fresh and beautifully plated—from the truffle toro bowl to the miso sea bass with uni. Favorites were the TUNA TRIO SASHIMI SAMPLER and PREMIUM SUSHI 3 PIECES. The vibe is cozy and upscale without being stuffy. Service was great, and the yuzu sorbet at the end was the perfect finish. We also got some hand rolls which are a must and the real wasabi cause why not. Pro tip: parking can be tricky, so plan ahead. Highly recommend for a date night or treat-yourself meal.

Izakaya Osen is just great. Its owners know Japanese culture and cuisine. As a traditional Japanese bar and eatery, they have the nicest environment where you can get affordable small plates. They have great sushi and we love their skewers. They clearly have a dedication to quality as it is evident in every ingredient. They source premium fish directly from Japan. Two of our favorite dishes are their Toro Uni Bowl and Miso Crab Salmon. We also love their Uni Amaebi Bowl, which has Uni, sweet shrimp, scallop, ikura, shoyu marinated egg yolk, oshinko, chive, sesame oil, sesame seed, and served with organic Kajime nori (sea trumpet) Their bowls are just great. All of them. The service is great and they are so friendly. The prices are fair. You will love this place.
Elizabeth L — Google review
It was great! It is pricy compared to "Shirube" - the best izakaya in LA. However, food was beyond my expectation! Sashimi was fresh cut and every sashimi came with different sauce. ( There was only one Amaebi tho🥲) Kabocha was interesting. In Japan, we usually simmer with soy sauce and sugar but they make it like a salad. It was good though! Miso Nikomi Udon was flavorful as well. Different from the original Nagoya Misonikomi, but I still enjoyed! Dried persimmons are soooo good! Cream cheese was way too big! It killed dried persimmons. But still persimmons are good! I would definitely come back!! MUSIC CHOICE IS GREAT

Kinjiro is an upscale, reservation-only dinner spot in Honda Plaza that offers a unique menu of Japanese small plates. It has been praised as the 'most elegant izakaya in Little Tokyo' and is known for its impeccably made dishes such as octopus ceviche, bone marrow dengaku, seared uni, and thick cut beef tongue. The restaurant provides a full izakaya experience with a large selection of sake and wines.

Loved our dinner here! The space is gorgeous. Loved the wagyu and the miso soup. The octopus was great. Service was fantastic. Will definitely come back if I’m back in LA. Highly recommend.

There is a master chef and a master mind behind the scenes in this small, unpretentious, well appointed Izakaya. If the layout seems a little odd the food and presentation more than makes up for it. The offerings are all unusual and tempting and if I were a full time resident in L.A. this would be my go to place for any worthy excuse. I loved every bite that I ordered and my only regret was finding the urchin risotto in the menu when I was already too full and satisfied. It will have to wait for the next time I am in L.A. But if you are a full time resident you have no excuse not to eat in this mini paradise.

Love this place for incredible quality of food, service, and atmosphere. Every dish on the menu was creative and tasteful. The server was very friendly and welcoming to tell us the ideas behind the food. We had a great time here. Booking required email communication, but very timely confirmed. This is my favorite asian fusion restaurant in LA! We will definitely come back.

Absolutely outstanding. Impeccable service and delicious food in a clean and minimalist setting, what more could you ask for? Make sure you make a reservation in advance, when their reservation window opens (secret tip: use the “scheduled send” feature in gmail to make sure your reservation request is perfectly on-time). My personal favorites were the grilled beef tongue, grilled cod, and sesame mousse. The grilled beef tongue was crispy on the outside and perfectly tender but with just the right amount of bite. The grilled cod was super juicy and savory, skin was crispy - I can eat that with every meal. Lastly, the sesame mousse - mousse has no right to be this delicious. Creamy and lightly sweet, it was so good we ordered another one immediately. No doubt I’ll be back the next time I’m in LA.
Jack W — Google review
The Honda Plaza contains a treasure trove of great eats, and Kinjiro fits in beautifully. I had the opportunity to try Kinjiro after hearing about the beef tongue nonstop! Everything here was delicious, even the ones that were beyond my comfort zone. I usually don't get potato salad, for example, but this one had a great mix of textures and flavor. We also tried the seared uni, uni risotto, fresh tofu, yuzu chicken, and beef tongue noodle soup. I know we ordered way too much and we were stuffed, but we still had to order dessert! Their hojicha panna cotta was a perfect way to end off the meal and was the last stop before a fat food coma. A reservation is required and you don't really need to dress up here. I would avoid casual sandals, graphic tees, and gym clothes, though. The restaurant and staff/owner are super chill. There's a brief wait for your food, but then the dishes start rolling out pretty quickly! If I ever get the chance to come back, I look forward to trying different dishes! Parking: Parking is paid, but even then you gotta hunt down a spot. It's every person for themselves here. 😱

The food here is very very good. It comes at a premium price point. For me, when food is expensive, the distinction between 4 and 5 stars is if the food is very good food or if the food is excellent. I'd consider this restaurant very good. The menu has a variety of small dishes meant to share. The seafood is delicious, which the uni, scallop, and crab dish being my favorite. The beef was a close second. Definitely worth trying, and there will be some memorable dishes, but not quite exceptional.

Restaurant
Inaba Japanese Restaurant is a delightful gem nestled in a strip mall, offering an intimate dining experience with only six seats at the sushi bar. This charming eatery specializes in omakase for dinner, showcasing the culinary artistry of Chef Shin, who has honed his skills over 28 years. His impressive background includes stints at renowned establishments like Matsuhisa and Sasabune. Guests are treated to an extraordinary array of sushi, featuring fish sourced from Japan and unique preparations that elevate each bite.
We ordered the Kaiseki dinner set and it was absolutely delicious. They serve a lot of food so make sure you have room! The fish is phenomenal and the noodles and tempura at the end are a big highlight. I can't wait to go back again soon!

Chef Yasu made me miss Japan. This is by far the best sushi restaurant I have been to. The fish was excellent. Everything melted in your mouth. The service was fantastic. This is by far the best sushi in all of Los Angeles. What really made the night special were the "extras": Chef Yasu gave me and my partner red sake, in honor of our anniversary. His sense of humor made the entire room laugh. One particular dish used both a bowl and a cover, both of which had a striped pattern; Yasu would meticulously line them so that they would match. Our waitress would use some free time between our courses to talk to us about Japan and our experiences there. At the end of the night, both of them walked us out. It was like watching an artist work their craft; yet the atmosphere was casual, and we felt very at home. Thank you for making our night!

This restaurant has some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The quality is superb. The portions are moderate. The taste of the rice for sushi was perfect. I’ve come here many times and always get the sushi and I’m never disappointed. Tonight, I also tried the tempura. While the taste was good, and the product is fresh, the value for what you got was not so good I thought. So I don’t recommend the temporary, but I strongly recommend the sushi. I also tried some appetizers tonight like the nasumiso and kama shioyaki. They were both extremely good. Prices here are not cheap, but we are in a very high rental area and they have many people working to provide a high-quality product. So you get what you pay for.

This is an insanely delicious and affordable authentic Japanese restaurant for 1 Michelin star ⭐️ restaurant (as of 2024). Despite being in South Bay for almost my entire life, I can't believe I never stepped foot in here. Tucked away in a humble strip mall, Inaba is truly a hidden gem. The food will take your mouth on a journey and transport you to Japan. From their sashimi to tempura to sushi to soba and so much more, nothing here disappoints. Surprisingly for a Michelin starred establishment, we were able to walk in at lunch and be seated immediately with no reservation. We opted for the "Kaiseki Lunch". A full 8-course meal for only $85 per person (before tax + tip). Inaba is an absolute must if you're in the area looking for a mind blowing lunch.

I’ve been coming here for years. Just a little sad that things have gotten so expensive. The food is good quality though. $48 for a chirashi bowl.

This place is seriously under rated. I visit Japan every year to vacation and eat. Inaba is the closest thing to eating in Japan. I highly recommend their marinated tuna bowl, Chawanmushi, and tempura. Food is seriously authentic and delicious. If you are into great Japanese food, this is it.

Just had an amazing dinner here. Service and food were both top notch. Had a variety of tempura dishes plus zaru soba and a few applies, all were amazing. We also had the tsubaki dinner set. The mini chirashi was perfect with seven nice pieces of sashimi, along with some fried fish and cooked tuna both in great broths + some other small sides. Great experience all around.

We have come here a few times and each visit has been great. The food is always fresh and delicious. Highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Definitely try the soba! They make it in house and it’s so good! My absolute favorite is the Asari appetizer. The flavor was amazing!!!!

Sushi restaurant
Sasabune Glendale is a high-end Japanese restaurant that offers traditional sushi preparations in a simple setting. The menu includes various lunch and dinner courses, such as the ume, which allows you to choose sashimi, sushi, and a hand roll. Additionally, there's Sushi Don & Sasabune Express for quality sushi to go in a more casual atmosphere.
5 Star Dining Experience and Freshest of Sashami. Great Value on the Happy Hour Menu! I’m not used to “upscale sushi” or I guess authentic really. The place really caught me off guard by how nice it was and how impeccable the service is from start to finish. They give you a little warmed wet towel to clean your hands when you walk in, it was a nice touch. I cannot stress how much the happy hour menu made it easy for me. It was a very fair price for what I received and was extremely filling, I got a plate of sashimi to start, 7 sushi pieces, a crab hand roll, oysters and mussels, and a Sapporo beer to wash it down. Everything was delicious and high quality. Although a little hard to find and nestled between a loud Olive Garden, it was such a nice hidden surprise, would definitely go back to support more!

Dining at Sasabune Glendale was nothing short of extraordinary. From the very first bite, the omakase meal felt like a story unfolding — a journey across the sea, where each course revealed another chapter of flavors, textures, and artistry. Every piece of fish was pristine, each preparation balanced and intentional, and the flow of the meal built a sense of anticipation and wonder. What makes the experience even more special is its surprising location. Tucked inside a mall, right next to a California Pizza Kitchen, you’d never guess such a world-class omakase experience could be hidden here. But once you sit down and the first dish arrives, you know you’ve discovered something truly unique. Sasabune Glendale is not just a restaurant — it’s an unforgettable adventure for anyone who loves sushi at its highest level.

This was a Japanese restaurant my husband and I discovered by surprise — and it was such a wonderful find. It’s very quiet; we sat down around 5 PM. They have some special items on their menu, and every dish is beautifully crafted. The sashimi is a must-order. For dessert, we tried the “Magic Grape” — it felt whimsical and unexpected! The overall atmosphere is perfect for a date or a celebration. The restaurant is located inside an office building, so you might have to look a bit carefully because the signage outside isn’t very obvious. Highly recommended — this is definitely a place I would return to. I really love all the thoughtful details in their service, even their tableware has a sense of aesthetics and design.

What a wonderful place! On the pricier side, but definitely worth it. My friend and I went for the Omakase meal and it was an exceptional experience. The service was fast and great, and the food was delicious and authentic. You can tell the people working care about their craft. They were generous and nice to us. Would definitely come again!

This place was amazing. Our chef and waiter were both very attentive and super nice. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming and the food was really good. We did the omakase. Their desserts are amazing too!! Worth every penny.
Elsa B — Google review
You would never assume arguably the best omakase around Glendale would be hidden in this office building but here we are! The restaurant is small with a relaxed vibe. The service was friendly and accommodating. We had the regular omakase and it was a good amount of food! The quality was among the best I have had and certainly at this price point. I look forward to going back!
Robert B — Google review
This is the best and freshest sushi in LA. Truly a hidden gem. My friend and I did the $200 omakase and it was honestly worth every penny. I loved the anago, toro, crab, oyster, uni!! And the matcha dessert 🤤 Great service and high quality Japanese food! I’ll definitely be back, thank you Chef!! Easy to park since they validate!
Summer L — Google review
The staff at Sasabune are exceptionally friendly and accommodating, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. While the prices are on the higher side, the exceptional quality of the sushi and the meticulous attention to detail make it well worth it. This is truly authentic, top-tier sushi—an experience that leaves a lasting impression on your palate. I highly recommend for your next special sushi occasion!
