Came for my birthday breakfast with the family! Wait was about 10 minutes for 6 people, we received waters and coffee promptly after. Server was very on top of our needs and got everything right, he did have that laid back LA vibe. Eggs are a different color here(very orange) because they get them from a nearby organic farm fresh. We were very filled after our meals and they brought me a birthday waffle that was yummy. The big fan and umbrellas on the patio really helped manage the weather. Highly recommend getting something with a waffle here!

The waffles here were amazing! I stumbled upon this place randomly while on Sunset. I love breakfast and waffles and this definitely exceeded my expectations. Tres Leche waffle was so good! Their special, pumpkin spice waffle also had a great pumpkin flavor. Hash browns were crispy and flat but also delicious! Trevor was my server and gave great food recommendations! I will definitely return if I am in the area

Totally amazed by how good this breakfast was. Hands down the best we had in our trip to LA. They claim their eggs are organic and I could tell the eggs and sausage both taste different in a good way. Prices are very reasonable, same goes with the service received.

A man chill place if you want to get some breakfast. Very Hollywood and very trendy. The staff was friendly. The service is good. The food is good. I got the waffle breakfast sandwich. Reading it I thought it would be a lot, but I was pleasantly surprised. The waffle wasn’t too sweet the combination of the scrambled eggs and the bacon that I got was perfect. I felt full without being stuffed. You can find decent street parking. I would totally come to this place again.

I came here 3 times whilst on my trip. The waffle sandwich was delicious and the hot beverage mocha was top tier! I would definitely recommend. If I ever return, I know where I’ll be eating at for sure. Inside and outdoor dining, and accessible. I only wish I took more photographs of the first two days of food.

One of my favorite spots in Hollywood for breakfast! Outdoor seating is where to take the visitors or just enjoy the weather ! Nice booths inside too and they have counter seating ! This place gets super busy on weekend brunches so be warned! Otherwise it's just a great spot for lunch or breakfast with a full bar The staff is excellent and always treatse.well! It is right on sunset Blvd near the Hollywood palladium music venue and sunset and vine is a block away!

Nice neighborhood breakfast spot. Service was a little slow but I think that’s because they only had two waiters. Our waitress Kayla was awesome at managing what she could and was very hospitable. The food was pretty good. I thought the crab cake Benedict should have had more crab. All of the other flavors masked the taste of the crab unfortunately. The fries were delicious and so was the fried chicken.

Oh yes. My wife and I have passed this place many times when visiting the adjacent Flower market in DTLA - and it was always busy. After we had all our flowery-needs yesterday I asked my wife to Yelp "best breakfast in DTLA" and it popped up - the Poppy & Rose - and we were standing in front of it. I must say two things: I did not find the ambiance too appealing and they you could hear through the open door it was extremely loud. Still, we gave it a try - and I can tell you: it was delicious. Our server - one you would describe as the typical California surfer boy - was extremely charming - so despite the so-so ambiance (the vibe of this place was great though) and the noise we will definitely go again. Would we make a 30+ min detour just to eat here (mandatory in my rating scheme to achieve five out five): again, oh yes!

First time here and I am blown away at how good it is!!! I ordered the pulled pork hash and my bf got the chicken sandwich both of which were tender and full of flavor. I will definitely be telling people about this place and will be back!! It is super loud in here but you can still talk.

Oh this place is a sleeper cell!! Delicious. Had the pulled pork hash - GAS!!! Savory in flavor this hit all the right queues. Don’t be afraid to drop in and order, everything we had was fresh and the strawberry lemonade hits too.

I got the chicken and waffles and a side of grits. The chicken was very tender and sweet goes great with the fresh crispy fluffy waffles ! I added some butter and salt/pepper to my grits and smothered them over each bite of chicken as i enjoyed life for a cool minute! My girl and I shared this meal she got her own side and we both left full. HIGHLY Recommend!

The food was okay--nothing special. I ordered a salad with fried chicken, but the chicken was bland and really lacked seasoning. The service was friendly but not very attentive. Overall, it was fine for a quick bite, and l'd eat here again if I were already in the area. But I wouldn't make a special trip just to come back.

Charming little breakfast spot in a nice neighborhood. The service was a bit slow, but it seemed they were short-staffed with only two servers. Our waitress, Kayla, was wonderful — friendly, attentive, and handled everything with a great attitude. The food was overall pretty good. The crab cake Benedict could’ve used a bit more crab flavor, as the other ingredients overpowered it. On the bright side, the fries were crispy and delicious, and the fried chicken was excellent. Now, a quick heads up: the wait here can be no joke. Depending on when you show up, you could be looking at a 30-minute wait… or you might have time to finish a podcast, do a crossword, and start questioning your life decisions. But honestly? It’s totally worth it. Once you’re seated, the servers are super friendly, attentive, and just overall good vibes. Ask and ye shall receive coffee refills, napkins, possibly even emotional support if your kid spills the juice. Love the old house decor, makes you feel your at your grandma's who loves to feed you. The homemade jam and hot sause are top tier. I loved the corned beef and hash. The waffles are a must!

What's not to love about this small, unassuming place with the best quality waffles... ever. This charming place has been here forever and we keep going back for more. The entrees are HUGE (maybe even too big) and the food comes out super quick. They do a great job of getting you your order quickly. Every staff member is so friendly and attentive and really you feel like you are in a true neighborhood gem. Love this place and we will keep going back over and over again.

Today was our first time in this place. Everything was Awsome. The value for the price, the portion, the food quality and the service was perfect. Amy was our server she was helpful and kind with positive vibe. I loved the waffle more than the omelet but overally this place is 10 out of the 10. Highly recomended.

Shaky Alibi is a gem! The homemade waffles were absolutely excellent—crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and served with so many different toppings and flavors to choose from. It’s the kind of place where you can keep coming back just to try something new each time. The service was also excellent—friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. While walking around the area and killing some time, I saw the big banner out front for “Best Waffles in America” so I decided to give it a try. I ordered a matcha latte and “The Elvis” (which included a waffle topped with natural peanut butter, maple bacon, slices of banana and a drizzle of honey). The matcha latte was delicious, I got it warm. The Elvis was very savory and although the employee serving me gave me a bottle of maple syrup he said that I might not even need it and he was correct. The portion was also perfect. The service is what really brought me to this 5-Star rating. The employee working when I went was Jose, he was such a great person. I was the only customer in at the time and he was very helpful giving me advice on the menu items and just chatting about life. I tried giving him a cash tip before I left, but he wouldn’t accept it and simply said, “Just come back and bring a friend!” He mentioned that he enjoyed working there and that the customers & community keep him motivated. Jose is the kind of person you want to have working for you and I will definitely find my way back here to say hi and enjoy a good waffle.

One thing I really value is great service! In my opinion, it makes or breaks a food service experience. What I enjoy even more is when there is great service, a flavorful variety of beverages, and, of course, cleanliness is important to me. This place has it all! I had no idea what to expect. From the moment I walked in by myself, I felt comfortable. The sweet young man working today kindly walked me through the options to best fit my dietary needs and preferences. The Chai was absolutely flavorful, and the waffle was hot, fresh, crunchy yet soft, and definitely delicious! They have an organic alternative dairy option as well. Plus, real maple syrup! Score! I will absolutely go back based on my first experience!

Unfortunately, cannot rate the food because after waiting 45 minutes our orders were yet to be taken and were told it was a 20 minute wait for food to come out. We left for another cafe serving waffles. The table did not get cleared for 30 minutes and was only cleared because I asked for it to be cleared. Customers who arrived 30 minutes after us were served before we were. The table appeared to have never been wiped down and was filthy. Staff behind the counter were less than helpful when asked where we could sit and whether it was table service or ordering at the counter. Was happy to spend our money elsewhere.

I’m new to the area and stumbled upon Shaky Alibi Thursday around 2 pm (one hour before closing) while on exploratory walkabout and dreaming of coffee. I was pleasantly surprised to find the owner charming and courteous, the service impeccable, and the steaming coffee and sweet waffle delicious. (The special type of sugar is pictured here.) Plus there is a surprise bonus: a small photography gallery wall!

"VOTED BEST WAFFLE IN AMERICA"?! I don't think so. Let's start with the good....our server even though a little slow was friendly and I could tell she was doing her best. It was the food that really disappointed me...actually to a degree where I felt almost ripped off. Here's why: When you go to a waffle place that specialized in waffles...you expect their waffles to be fresh! We waited close to 25 min, but I figured if it's fresh then it's worth the wait. The waffle was very stale, old and crunchy....like it had been sitting out the day before and they just refrigerated it over night and served the next day. Toppings are additional cost..which to be honest, is a bit surprising...considering most people expect something on their waffle (and this place is not cheap). The Poached Eggs Plate was equally disappointing. I almost let out a chuckle when it got served. I've had better eggs and sausage at McDonald's - no seriously! The sausage was hard and too greasy and the eggs were your average tasteless...low quality with no seasoning eggs...if you're going to put paprika on eggs...sprinkle at least a little salt. Voted Best Waffle...No! and unfortunately I won't go back even for ...well...anything. You don't charge prices like this...where everything is additional like it's a steakhouse...and then serve your customers that degree of quality. :(

Read before you go I am being honest with this review, I give honest reviews for other people to know before they go. We went on August 30, 2025. I give it two stars and let me explain why. First, $30 for a kids meal that is two small pieces of chicken strips with shoe string fries, the fries was generous, it was a lot but very thin fries, the chicken strips was a disgraced, small strips and didn’t taste that good and we ordered the Buttermilk pancakes which was 3 pieces of pancakes that had only a little bit of powdered sugar on top and pancakes was not that good, and a drink which was not even a big glass and it had a lot of ice meaning a little amount of soda with a lot of ice in a glass, all of that for $30. Waited long for our food. Over priced for a kids meal and 3 pieces of pancakes in a plate with a drink. Guy that took our order was nice but lady, with black hair that gave us our order not friendly. Place was too loud and too dark, if you are sensitive to sound it’s not a good place. Didn’t try to order other things as it was over priced and place was just too loud, music was too loud too dark not enough light. It felt stuffy inside. It just felt chaotic. Not a place where you can enjoy your meal. I am not a hater just an honest reviewer hoping owner would sit down on his or her own restaurant and try to see if he or she would enjoy his/her over priced meal with very loud music.

Wonderful Thanksgiving dinner here with the whole family on vacation. Couldn’t believe how speedy the service was with the healthy portions. Highly recommend the fried mac ‘n’ cheese balls for a starter. The turkey meatloaf had this nice glaze atop the crisped top. The Thanksgiving dinner special looked fantastic and filling. Really appreciated the friendly service. And I’ll note their corking fee was only $10, so bring a bottle!

Came here on a weekday morning after doing one of the hikes up to Griffith Park Observatory. Chill diner atmosphere, way less packed than I thought it would be. I ordered this Fred 62 Salmon lox variant, and the peach pie. Both were really good, but it was actually the customer service that was over the top. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, just sitting there reading, taking up space. Free parking was a little difficult, but I found something two blocks up, and I feel like for LA this is normal.

Pretty good food, a bit pricey for what it was, but understandable for the area. What really stood out to me was the service. My server Jose Luis was wonderful, extremely attentive and kind. The place is clean and cute, with that traditional diner aesthetic.

What a great Dinner! 😋. We ordered the club sandwich, the classic burger, and the achiote chicken sandwich. They all come with fries but I substitute my fries with curly fries. Other substitutes; tater tots, sweat potatoes. They also come with pickle 🥒 cucumber on the side. For drinks my kids ordered an Almer Palmer, and a strawberry Limonade wich is not on the menu but our great waitress made it with their hand made mashed strawberry jam. Real fruit strawberry Limonade! Food was out quick which was good because we were hungry. After walking a couple miles in Los Feliz just shopping and site seeing those drinks were refreshing. I must add that their taste ofusic was good, sinatra was on the playlist alongside with other artists of the 50', 60s. Highly recommend this Dinner. Will need to come back and try the breakfast 🥞🍳.

The food is delicious, the prices are high, although that's not surprising for the neighborhood. I had the shaggy Mr Frenchie, actuated French toast, yummy! But the real STAR of the show was the loaded tater tots. I thought I wanted a sweet breakfast for dinner type of meal, but those tots hit the spot SO well, I all but ignored my French toast just for them. I'll come back just for the tots, they're enough to be a meal on their own.

Brü’s Wiffle in Santa Monica is a fantastic spot with a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The chai latte was absolutely amazing—perfectly spiced, smooth, and comforting. If I could give 10 stars, I would! This was by far the best service I had in LA. They were super friendly, attentive, fast. The food was fantastic, literally everything we ordered was wonderful (I’m pregnant and picky with food). Unfortunately we were too hungry to take pictures but seriously, don’t think twice. Stopped here on the way to the beach and was a good experience. The restaurant had good food and drink options. Latte was good. Food was not anything special but it was made very well. The staff was nice and hard working. We sat inside but found out there is an outdoor patio in the back. Would recommend Bru's to anyone.

We went for brunch on Sunday around noon, there was a wait line, it took around 20 minutes to get a table. The chimichanga was great, the fried chicken with cheesy Hashbrowns was really good, my only complaint is that they give such a small portion of hashbrowns compared to the size of the chicken. The bloody Mary was pretty good. The lavender mimosa wouldn't recommend, I love all lavender but the syrup wasn't good at all. The hot chocolate/mocca was delicious. Nice place but Will not return.

Servers were friendly, outdoor seating in the back was nice given it was a beautiful late morning/afternoon. There were 3 of us and we wanted to try a bunch of items on the menu since it was our first time. We ordered popcorn chicken, cheesy hash, shakshuka, bru's French toast and the pizza omelet. We finished off everything! The pizza omelet tasted so much like pizza that I didn't miss the crust. Will definitely go back when in LA.

Cool ambiance. Came here for the Gluten Free waffle and Gluten Free fried chicken. Was really good overall. The waffle was a little dry, but nothing unbearable. The chicken was great and the sauce for an excellent compliment. Cool vibe in the restaurant as well. The hash with eggs was by far the best dish we had. Excellent melding of flavors. Would return.

Never again. I have never given a bad review. I believe everyone deserves a chance, but Roscoe's has been around long enough where they need to be held accountable for bad service and bad food, just bad. The chicken was not fried completely through; it was still raw. The cornbread was hard as a brick. The greens looked like they were two weeks old. The waffle was dry and nasty with no taste. I spent $47.95 for one person to eat and to be very disappointed. I pray I don't get sick. I came down to LA to fly out to go to Hawaii for my birthday, and this is crazy. I'll call, and they don't pick up the phones.

Everything was so good! Me and my baby went for a early breakfast and there was no wait. The orange juice was AMAZING 😍 MY BABY LOVED THE BISCUIT AND GRAVY. I enjoyed my waffles and the wings I just wish they would have been a bit crispy on the outside. But thats just a personal preference. Everything was delicious the wings were crisp to perfection and the fluffy waffles with syrup were spot on! Our server was sweet and very attentive. We will definitely be back!

The food was amazing, I ordered the country boy. The fried glorious chicken was so tender and juicy that I ended up finishing all my chicken before I got a photo (be warned the food is so good you might eat it all on accident) this is a must try if you are in the area! I got a sunrise to drink and when it came out I looked out the window to make sure the sun hadn't just risen in my cup, The lemonade and orange juice combo was delicious!

Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles is everything it’s cracked up to be—and then some. From the moment you walk in, the aroma lets you know you’re in for something special. The vibe is classic, no-frills, and filled with history, soul, and flavor.

For all vegan lovers, Crossroads Kitchen in West Hollywood is a must. Great atmosphere with dimmed lighting. Table spacing is comfortable. Very knowledgeable staff and very helpful when ordering. Plan to order several dishes and share (we had 6). Shoutout to our server Karina, manager Dave, and also helping was Jesus. We don't live in LA and this is our second time going.

LOVE Crossroads. I drive up from San Diego because they are consistently the best restaurant, everything I have ordered there is delicious, I love that seasonal options change and bring newness to the menu while being able to rely on staples. Friends have commented that 'you would never know it's vegan pizza' and 'this is the best breakfast croissant I have ever had' (vegan or otherwise!). Beautiful decor, great service! The vegas location is great too! The moussaka was sooo good, cheese plate always good. I mean everything just SO good!

We tried their tasting menu and were happy with the options they had. While expensive, we got to try various small plates, unique in their presentation and taste. The interior had a busy, yet cozy fine dining vibe. Their dishes have heavy truffle taste, so if you're not a fan of mushrooms, may want to go elsewhere.

My friend booked a reservation as this is one of their favorite spots and as I was traveling from New York, i thought we should go somewhere nice anyway! This restaurant ended up being exceptional. The cocktail was a mind-blowing array of flavors and I enjoyed the eggplant short rib very much. When i am back in the area, i would love go back!

Hands-down, the best vegan plant based restaurant we tried in LA. The food was amazing. Every single dish we got was flavorful. It is à la carte style, so be ready to share and definitely save room for dessert. We are so satisfied with our first experience here that we are going to be coming back to try it one more time before we head back home to Vancouver BC.

When I became a vegetarian, occasional pescatarian about 30 years ago, never could I dream vegan could be this good!!! With walls full of amazing reviews and Top chefs Cat Mora and Marc Murphy doing special nights, this is a must go! My highest compliments to the chef! Can’t wait to go back!!!

The building and interior are amazing, you have to visit. The food was really great too. The pancakes were so light, best diner pancakes I’ve had. Pann's is an LA landmark for a reason. I've been a long-time fan, and the food has remained consistently delicious over the years. The service is also spectacular—everyone is so friendly and attentive. ​While the atmosphere has changed a bit over the past few years, the heart of the restaurant is still there. On a recent visit, the inside was completely packed with a crowd of people waiting to get in, but we opted to sit outside and were seated right away. The outdoor seating is a great new addition and offers a wonderful dining experience. If you're looking for great food, excellent service, and a piece of Hollywood history, you can't go wrong with Pann's.

Outstanding food and incredible service. Jorge S was our server and he was professional, fast, and friendly. You could tell her loved his job, and the people he served. The food here is lights out — they do not miss. From fried chicken to country fried steak, every dish has been delicious. On our second visit, I ordered the chicken thigh and leg, and after I finished my plate, Brenda surprised me with an extra wing just to try while my boyfriend was still finishing his meal. We were on location shooting at LAX and asked Google for the best breakfast close by and it directed us to Pann’s. Apprehensive at first, it looks like a Denny’s out of the 50s as you arrive, but inside we found outstanding service topped by even better food. This joint is iconic, clean, and efficient. We sat at the counter and had a great experience. It was so cool to see all of the movies that have been shot here and we all recognized it once inside. HIHGLY recommend! We will be back on every visit to LAX.

We've all been coming here since we were children. It's great to see familiar faces from the past. The food is fresh, delicious and consistent.

My son and I ate here while doing some errands on the 3rd Street promenade, the service was pretty fast, that we had to ask for someone to clean a table to be able to sit down, it is set up as pretty much a fast food type eatery without much comfort or fanfare, but the food is generous and portion and served fresh! The ambience is pretty much the promenade and all of the passerby as would be expected for a restaurant in this location. I got a chicken tender meal, the nice thing is they do let you pick more than one flavor even though I only got three tenders which were about a third of a chicken breast each! Very large! The waffle fries it came with were very flavorful and crunchy-just the way I like them! My son got a large strawberry waffle which was packaged quite nicely for a to go order, and also very flavorful!

I had brunch at Bruxie and it was an amazing experience. I had the waffle with eggs and cheese — light, fluffy, and delicious — along with waffles topped with cream and maple syrup, which were perfectly sweet. For my kids, we ordered the chicken tenders and pops with waffle fries — everything was crispy, tasty, and fresh. Great spot for a fun and satisfying brunch!

Do yourself a favor and get a shake. Made with custard and deliciously thick requiring a spoon at first. Chicken and waffles is amazing, big crispy Belgium waffles, two perfectly fried tenders and butter, honey, and syrup for you to choose how much sweetness you want. Waffle fries were good but nothing like the others.

Succulent Fried Chicken Sandwich in a brioche bun, seasoned to perfection in a crispy batter with a ridiculously juicy interior. Make it spicy, make it mild, get a sandwich or tenders. This place is a hidden gem! Perfect spot to grab a bite before a long day at Universal Studios. The food is fresh, flavorful, and very reasonably priced. The staff greets you with a warm welcome the moment you walk in — everyone is kind and genuinely attentive. A special shoutout to Jocelyn! Even though it was her first day (and early in the morning), she was super friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave great recommendations for first-time visitors. Definitely worth a stop — we’ll be coming back!

I thought this place was alright. It's nothing special. Perhaps because we have tasted melted butter (very few restaurants make their butter this way) and hot syrup on our waffles 🧇. Also, the place was somewhat smaller than I'd imagined. On top of that, finding parking here can be a little bit of a hassle when the place gets crowded. However, the customer service was great, food was served pretty quickly and the waiters were friendly 💯. The food: - Waffles & Cajun Wings 🧇🍗 (6/10): The waffles we got were too crispy (some people probably prefer this). We love our waffles to be a little chewy. What really disappointed me was their chicken wings. These were very salty and the meat was dry. - Waffle Combo 🍳🌭🥓 (1/2 waffle) (7/10): The eggs and the bacon for this dish saved it. They were delicious and the eggs were a little wet (which improved the taste 👍🏻). I didn't like their sausage because, again, they were too salty for our liking. Finally, the pricing was a bit more expensive than I had expected. For the same type of dish, we were paying $3 less for each dish in our favorite brunch place in West LA. Overall, if you live close by, you can try it out, perhaps you will end up enjoying it more than I did since everyone's taste-buds are different. However, if you have to drive for more than 30 minutes just to get there, you are better off going somewhere else for your waffles needs 🫠.

We tried the Cajun chicken and waffles, and it was a standout dish—crispy, well-seasoned chicken paired perfectly with fluffy waffles and just the right amount of heat from the Cajun spices. The balance of sweet and savory made every bite satisfying. We also ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito, which was equally impressive. It was generously filled and packed with flavor, with the chorizo adding a smoky, spicy kick that complemented the eggs and cheese beautifully. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the portions were very satisfying. What really set the experience apart, though, was the service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Everything arrived promptly and just as we ordered. Overall, & Waffles is a spot we’ll definitely be returning to for both the food and the excellent hospitality.

PHENOMENAL BREAKFAST. BEST CHICKEN FRIED STEAK!!!! BEST WAFFLES. Real potatoes! I have very high standards for food. It needs to be high quality ingredients and taste amazing. I don’t usually like breakfast food, but this was seriously the best breakfast I have ever eaten out. Service was also amazing! Even with it being super busy, they got us seated pretty quick and food didn’t take long. Oh and the chicken fried steak was pre-cut up!!! The gravy was soo good. I wish I lived in the area because I would go there regularly. Definitely one of those little hole in the wall local delights! Don’t think twice to try this place out. If you don’t want to wait I would just recommend not going during their peak times.

The Hungry Fox is the cutest place. It is not huge and sometimes there is a wait, but it is worth it. They have great service, everyone is so nice. The place is kept clean inside and out. We love it here. We go for breakfast or lunch. You can't go wrong with any of their dishes. One of my favorites is the waffles and fried chicken. The chicken is so crispy and never over cooked. The waffles are great. I just put butter on mine, they are so good, they don't need anything else. Their skirt steak and eggs are always a hit with my husband and my grandson loves their omelets. He loves that they are not cheap with the avocado. Their sandwiches are also super. Their turkey sandwich and Greek Gyro are so tasty and you can get it with a side of really good and fresh Cole slaw. Whatever you decide will be good. You will love this adorable place with its green outside. It has a counter and booths.

I had breakfast at Hungry Fox, and it was fantastic! The food was fresh, flavorful, and served with care. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service was attentive and friendly. Absolutely love this spot, never fails to be awesome. Ordered their classic chicken and Waffles (tried&true favorite) and their new Chilaquiles (which had a generous amount of tortilla chips.) For the first time, it was too much food! Usually, it's the perfect portion that won't sit heavy on my tummy or on my wallet, but this time, I'm a bit lethargic after the meal.

Definitely not the best chicken and waffles. Overall, I thought the flavor was OK but when I was handed a menu, it was extremely dirty, which was a huge turn off to just sitting down on the place clean your menus people geez. My chicken and waffles ended up being like about $29 worth of tip which I thought was basically ridiculous. This is kind of also in a bad neighborhood and I didn’t seem to have parking as I caught a right chair to get there. I don’t know. I think it might be worth a try, but I personally probably won’t be coming back.

I ordered the Mexican Omelette. It was more like scrambled eggs with onions and green bell peppers. Cilantro was missing. One piece of toast instead of two. It tasted like white instead of Sourdough. I went here many years ago. I’m disappointed. A server dropped a plastic lid with sauce on the ground and didn’t pick it up. Expensive prices.

A seriously good Asian diner in North Hollywood. I say Asian because the entire front house staff is and they have many different Asian options and flavors on the menu, which is a total unique change from the traditional diners all around LA, which is one of my favorite parts of this place. I also appreciated how clean and organized it was inside. There is a medium-sized parking lot attached for free parking and it’s indoor seating only. The restaurant itself is not very large so there may be a wait during especially busy times. The whole staff was very polite and my server was very attentive. Everything I ordered came out really fast as well. Being that they have a lot of different Asian flavors I went with a totally different breakfast dish for myself this time and chose the Loco Moco. I had not had that in quite a while and it was a wonderful reminder of how good that dish is. I also ordered a side of buttermilk biscuits, and although the biscuits are not traditional southern flaky buttermilk biscuits, they more taste like scones, I still enjoyed them. Pricing is also very fair and overall it was a really nice meal. I would recommend to anyone searching for a good diner or a great casual breakfast or lunch option.

This place was packed when I got here so it took about 5-10 minutes to be seated. Eddie the server is always cool and service is excellent. Food came out fast despite being busy on a Sunday morning. Food is always delicious, Coffie and service are excellent. Portions are just right. Not too little, not too much.

Johnny Rockets actually was found in City of Los Angeles and the theme was the American 1950s diner style. The restaurant chain were very popular in the past days but it is going down popularity in recent years. This current location is at the Hollywood & Highland shopping center where many tourists visited Hollywood Walk of Fames. Business was good when they first opened the door in 2001. I always like the traditional style tasted burgers and French fries. It would be one of my first picks when I visit Hollywood. If you have never been there please put on your dining lists. I would give a four stars for their food and service.

I find this place accidentally while I’m was hungry before my event in Ovation. We came here with my friend and I’m ordered onion rings and bacon cheese fries. I wasn’t able to eat it in full, because portion were great and bring it with me. After a while I forgot my food bag somewhere and decided to come back again and order same things🤣 I’m missed it a lot. So I’m writing this review while eating here same order, haha. Never tried burgers here, but fries and rings here AMAZING.

My family and I traveled from Brazil to California and on October 5, 2025, we had dinner at Johnny Rockets in Hollywood. It was an incredible experience, starting with the waiter, the atmosphere, the food, the drinks, and the beautiful restaurant. Great atmosphere, good food, and top-notch service! Even at more expensive places, we haven't had such good service. I recommend everyone visit this charming restaurant in the heart of Hollywood, next to the Lowes Hotel. Thank you!

Their foods are really delicious. The employers are so kind and helpful. In that day, my phone charge was done and I didn’t find any place that except to charge my phone. They did this for me. They saved my life. They are good. They are very good people.

Update: Food served hot! Great stuff! I haven't had Johnny Rockets in a minute and they really upped their game! Food was great, service was quick, and the people were great! It is crazy busy at this location in Hollywood. The Original was on point! My family loved it!

Went here for brunch, first time at restaurant. Nice spacious restaurant, Saturday mid afternoon not very busy. See pictures for menu items. We got two steak and fries, one chicken fingers and fries, and one 1/2 chicken entrees. My grandson got to 1/2 chicken and thought it was great. My granddaughter got the chicken fingers and fries and thought it was OK. My son got sirloin steak and fries and said it was good. I got sirloin(medium well) and sweet potato fries. my sweet potatoes came hot right out of the frying pan, the steak was good, but not as hot as the sweet potato fries.

The Philly eggrolls are so good that I had to order another. Truffle Mac was delicious, not too overpowering as truffle can be for me. Ribeye was one of the best I've had in a while, and we ribeye often. Rose Paloma was pretty good as well. Lemon cake wasn't my favorite.

Our server, Alexis, was awesome. She gave some good suggestions to try and she made sure we enjoyed our experience. I’m not sure if being our own bartenders during a pandemic allowed us to enjoy our alcoholic beverages more but these restaurants seem to put a splash of alcohol and the cost of the item is still a lot. None of the drinks we tried were memorable but I did like the sangria. It tasted better once the home made popsicle melted and all the ingredients mixed together. The crispy artichokes were lightly fried and a good texture. The truffle Mac & cheese was very creamy and not your traditional Mac and cheese. The Brussels sprouts were good especially with the bacon. I enjoyed the chicken, mashed potatoes and carrots. It was a-little salty drenched in butter but it was a delicious meal.

This was a good expirence here, service was on point and excellent. The food was delicious, followed by drinks and dessert. We specifically got the Labor Day meal special. Which comes the soup of your choice as a starter, your main course. And your dessert.

Nice ambiance, great service and food is really good. We went on Saturday brunch. They had a lot of delicious selections. I have fish & chips and my wife had chicken fried steak and it was delicious. We also had a carafe of bloody mary and a white sangria. Both drinks were just perfect and it only cost $21/carafe. How great it that. Our server Guillermo was very attentive and service was spot on.

Service was incredible. The food was a little pricey , but overall it was pretty good. we were pleasantly surprised by the tuna tacos. The tuna was tender with a mild kick of spice, and complimented the crispy taco shell. Overall, this is a must try for friends!

Prices are definitely steep here but if you want top quality food and fine cuts of meat this is definitely your spot. Very crowded in the heart of Santa Monica so make sure you have reservations or be prepared to wait or have a backup restaurant in mind. My pictures don’t do the food justice but the flavors of meat, and recipes are rich and occasionally worth to treat yourself every now and then. Service was also high caliber here. The server that attended to us at 8pm wed August 23 at the farthest booth on the right near the kitchen was outstanding. Sorry I’m horrible with names. Haven’t been to all the restaurants In Santa Monica but I would definitely say out of many of them this is one of the best. Local fresh great quality and gourmet dishes with some of the best service and atmosphere in Santa Monica, what is more to ask for?

First time here and overall, pretty solid experience! My girlfriend went with the chicken thigh & waffles and I had the chicken strips & waffles both were really good. The waffles leaned a little too sweet for me, but hey, still tasty. The chicken? Absolute star of the show. Juicy, flavorful. Just wish the portion size was a little bigger. We added cornbread and mac & cheese on the side. Mac & cheese delicious, creamy, no notes. Cornbread… well, let’s just say I really wanted to like it, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype in my head. The vibe was super chill, maybe too chill since it was just us and one other guest. Customer service was a bit hit-or-miss. The guy who greeted us? Awesome energy, super welcoming. Our waitress, on the other hand, seemed like she’d rather be anywhere else and honestly, can’t blame her, it was a beautiful day outside. Still, a little extra warmth would’ve matched the food better. All in all: great chicken, cozy vibe, and some small areas for improvement. First time visiting the iconic Rosco’s Chicken and Waffle 🧇 🍗 We arrived at 10:30AM, and got lucky with a parking spot right in-front. We were three people and were sat right away. I had the one chicken piece with one waffle and banana pudding. It not just hype, the chicken is delicious, it was Crispy and Juicy, I was for my waffle crispy. Also had the banana pudding, I love the little chunks of waffle in it. 🍌

Loved this place! The chicken and waffles were to die for, and the syrup was oh so sweet! The tenders were crispy and juicy and the coleslaw was delicious! Loved the vibe, the service was excellent and food came out fast! Stable and a must stop if you’re by a location!

Well finally tried this place that people kept telling me about, I honestly had high hopes for this chicken and waffles, unfortunately it's ok not good or great for me at least. The other people that was with me had the same feelings about it. Corn bread was good, service was excellent, chicken was alright not juicy kinda dry and the waffles was meh. Man me and my family came to this location after our trip to Disneyland before we drove back home 3 weeks ago. There was a waitress there that was awesome. She literally went out in traffic to save us a parking spot. Lol after that she was our waitress while we were there and she was just as awesome at that as well, her name was Delphine and our next trip out there we will go to this location again. I will dream of the potatoes we ate here for the rest of my life and beyond. Came with friends for DineLa and ordered everything on the menu. Not a single bad bite but the potatoes were the stand out. Desserts were not too sweet on a good way. Good bar program. Som came and helped us with our wine choices. Serving was familiar and casual but knowledgeable. Pacing was a little off switch a few previous course items left on table while next course was served but it was a fun, fancy tavern vibe.

Lovely ambiance in the courtyard! Tapas style French food that has a comfy yet elevated touch. The fingerling potatoes are a delicious cheesy mess that was creamy yet light. Highlight of the night! Really enjoyed the salads and Spanish Fried Chicken too. Service was on top of things and very attentive. Very California vibes and feel. Good space for a smaller group or a date night too.

Came here with two friends for Dine LA! First time being here. It was great. The food is so tasty, the chicken was juicy even though it was breaded. The portions are large, even though they may appear small. The wait staff are very attentive. Overall, it was a seamless experience with great food, ambient lighting and a cute outdoor porch area. Great date night place as well. I don’t drink alcohol however they do have an array of cocktails and a very extensive wine list.

We enjoyed a nice dinner during our visit to LA. The focaccia was delicious and had a perfect crust. I ordered the fried chicken and it was so tender and juicy. The portion sizes are smaller and meant for sharing. We ended up being quite full after our meal. The food was very good, but didn’t blow us away. All very simple and fresh, so can’t complain! The restaurant itself is very nice and great for a nice dinner.

First of all the service from all the team was excellent and especially our server who was so accurate, kind and knowledge. All dishes were excellent, but I would put a special spotlight the hanger steak and brilliant butterscotch pôt de crème dessert.

We opted for the Chef’s Menu. It was five courses with two dishes in each course. Every course was better than the previous. And the dessert🤤. Staff were all very attentive and kind. This place is such a good deal for the location and amount of food

Cool restaurant/ bar in Venice, drinks are superb but the food didn’t meet our expectations. I had heard everything is super tasty but in fact the portions were rather small and some of the food items were bland. They all look great but not as yummy as we thought. The tasting menu is a surprise and you don’t know what you get so if you don’t like food surprises like me, you are limited to the à la carte option that isn’t much. The Branzino and calamari were ok, the lamb sausage was too fatty and the steaks were small. The deserts were ok. Last but not least, bread and butter cost 4.50$ which is very unusual for the US. The atmosphere and ambiance is great and the staff is friendly.

Great location, wonderful setting and wine list. The food is good but beware that vegan options are VERY limited - only two items could be adapted on the menu, apart from sides. None of the pasta dishes can be made vegan which was disappointing. Overall a good experience and not crazy expensive for the ambiance.

At first I wasn’t sure what to make of this place I found the menu confusing. However our server soon cleared this up for us he spoke with such enthusiasm that we both opted for the 3 course tasting menu. We were not disappointed, it was surprisingly impressive and great value for money. We had three starters brought out to us, which were all really nice then we had three main course dishes. Finally dessert, I think was the nicest dessert I have ever had. I would highly recommend visiting here and trying the tasting menu. There was more than enough food for the two of us, both being foodies we absolutely loved the thrill of not knowing what we were going to get until it came to the table. Very exciting!

The Grapefruit was very unique tasting and the mint set it off wonderfully! You must try the Steak, Eggs, & Potatoes! Very tasty, wonderfully seasoned and melts in your mouth! I am in love with the Tasty Kitchen, Venice CA! You must find severs: Sadie & Haley's section! They are full of smiles and will make your day a brighter one! All the employees were wonderful and very much people pleasers!

Our brunch here was phenomenal! I highly recommend! This place is gorgeous and roomy. There was no wait for us and no reservation required. The upstairs where we were seater had the coolest chandelier and a book section. Tables were beautifully set food arrived on time and tasted delicious. We also enjoyed their coffee. Our server was very observant and kind, gave us recommendations on best dishes. Greenery in this place was also delightful, music was calm and made the whole brunch experience so relaxing and satisfying! We are for sure coming back!

This place was suggested by a friend as a spot with the best menu in the area. The menu disappointed - almost no decent appetizers to share, a few types of pasta as small and main dishes. So for a person who doesn't like pasta (yes, such people exist!) there was nothing to eat. And on the top they were out of mussels.

Was there for my birthday on Sunday. Had the patio all to ourselves. Anthony was our server and he was awesome! He took great care of us and made sure I had a great time! Food was delicious and all fresh ingredients. Side fruit was good portions of one person. Side home fries were crispy and the serving size was great.Even though the wait was long, had a fun time.

Food was good, cute restaurant with a very cozy feel. Staff was very friendly and nice! We ordered a few drinks and they did take a while to arrive, but it was a concert night and they were pretty busy. Tried the chicken piccata and it was good, but maybe next time I would try something different!

Came for Sunday brunch and was seated immediately. We were greeted immediately as well but waited long stretches in-between for everything. Food was really good. We ordered eggs Benedict, shrimp and grits, avocado toast, and a few other items. Everything was very good. We first sat outside but was swarmed by flies and decided to move indoors. It’s unfortunate because they have a lovely outdoor area.

As a Chicken & Waffle connoisseur, I had to check out TART. Their brunch menu was awesome and the Chicken & Waffles were great and really filling. The brunch drink menu was also really solid!

The food was pretty good. I ordered the shrimp tacos & mac n cheese. Only critique is that the food needed salt, especially the mac n cheese since the cheeses they're using doesn't have a salt content. The live music was mellow and relaxing while having great conversation. I'd definitely go back to try other menu items.

The Oinkster absolutely hit my cravings out of the park — my pulled pork sandwich was juicy, tender, and Carolina-sauced perfection, and my partner’s grilled chicken sandwich packed big-time flavor from top to bottom. The fries? Two types of crispiness: classic Belgian beauties and over-the-top piggy fries smothered in cheese, onions, and creamy sauce — both dipped in their addictive house ketchup. Fun, old fashioned burger spot. I had the classic and my wife got the veggie classic and they were both excellent. Top quality meat, buns and crisp veggies. Ordered fries, drink and a side Ceasar salad

I really wanted to love this place, especially after having wanted to check it out for years, but... I had one of the cheaper meals with a pulled pork sandwhich, fries and a drink. The drink was small, the fries weren't very seasoned and sandwhich were nothing to write home about either. I really had high hopes for the Sammy, but it didn't have a good smoky flavor to it, was somewhat dry and the sauce that came with it didn't really do anything. I opted for the house ketchup, which was better than regular ketchup, but not by much. I would have opted for the other sauces, but they charged a dollar for each, which is ridiculous if you are already paying $20+ minimum for a meal. I will give it another try and adjust the rating, if it is worthy, but I am honestly not eager to go back and take a $25/person chance.

My bacon burger was delicious. The Ube shake was tasty, creamy and not too sweet. We will definitely visit again to try other items on the menu.

Went for a #MotoSocial meetup and the place is still as good as I remember. The burgers and pastrami are delicious. The fries are crispy and well seasoned. Plenty of parking and reasonable prices.

This was a place I came across on YouTube years ago. The problem was there is only one and never had the opportunity to check it. I was leaving Universal City late and had this small window of opportunity since they close at 9pm. Arrived 20 minutes before close and the staff was still welcoming. Since I knew about this place through social media, I ordered the pastrami(which for the record is $20) with fries and Oinsterade. First thing I noticed was how enormous the pastrami was. Dont get me, I came in with an appetite but I feel it can feed two people. Regardless, the sandwich lived up to my hype. Very appetizing(didnt finish), wasn't soggy or bland. Oinsterade was very refreshing and flavorful. Went another time on my travel down from northern Cal and ordered one of their craft burgers. Talk about sweeping In-N-Out and Tommy's World Famous. Juicy patty and flavorful burger. Worth getting that again along with the Oinsterade! They sell merch too but just showed up for the food.

Overall a really tasty cheat meal option in Eagle Rock. They have been open for many years and have served many hungry diners. They specialize in pastrami, but also have burgers, shakes, and chicken. You can dine in, but most choose to do takeout. There are about five parking spaces, otherwise it will be street parking. It’s a 4/5 for me because there are many other burger places I enjoy more, there are other deli options that I would prefer to get pastrami from, however I would definitely return to try other dishes. Tonight we tried the Oinkster Pastrami, which was very good, although I like my pastrami a little, more seasoned and crispier. It comes on a French roll as well, and not like the usual rye or other types of bread it is typically served with. We also ordered the 1/3lb Burger and it was very good, although I would not call it a unique burger, and there are many others around LA I prefer more. We also tried the Cluckster with cheese added and that was my favorite of all the things we ordered. I would definitely go there again for that sandwich specifically. The Chili Cheese Fries are also worth ordering and we’re probably my second favorite thing that we ordered. Overall a really great cheat meal, although each of the items we ordered have better versions from other places around LA.

Worst place I've ever been in my life and that's and under statement at 2:53 am on Wed July 23 the waiter bust in the women rest room to let me know it no a public restroom I'm sorry sir but where were you when I entered the facility I was washing my hands I would have my table already but you we're nowhere to be found. That's not my problem but I was and will never be a customer again here this is the second encounter first his bad attitude taking my order and messing it up how when you never have any customers on you shift but I guess that's why the place is completely dead on his clock inns I hope he has an awakening i hope he can find his common sense moral and his mind and find peace ✌️ cause you wont have a job when you run ever customer out be aware lady's and families

Yikes! The breakfast burrito is not it. Taste artificial somehow 🙃 the tortilla is very thick and weird. The ingredients are flavorless and lack seasoning. Giving me nostalgia as if I were to be eating middle school cafeteria lunch.

Attentive staff and quick service. Food is what it is, nothing to call home and regale your mama with tales of the most delicious dishes ever, but solid breakfast one expects from IHOP. I’d like to send a special shoutout to the manager at this location because it’s clear they take pride in the business. The floor and tables were clean and the staff was pleasant; these are things that start at the top and I’m grateful for well-run establishments in my community. Salute to the servers, hosts and cooks for a job well done.

first time coming here and definitely the last. had to wait 12 minutes for a server to actually come up to our table and greet us. the place had 4 tables occupied including me. literally looked like the place had no employees at all. nobody checked up on us after taking our order. service 0/10 , food was okay. not worth paying the price at this location

Looking for the best pancake and waffle spot in Los Angeles? I got you! Stumbled on this spot when I was in Downtown LA for an appointment and decided to stop by cos I had been craving waffles for a couple of days. I ordered the Original buttermilk waffles (3 stack cos I couldn’t finish 5 stacks) - $8.9 and the delicious vanilla flavored milkshake 😌- $8.99

Came here on 09/24/25 it has been 7 years since the last time I ate at this IHop and probably my last time. I had given it a 5 stars at that time but I had to change it. I waited for 10 minutes to be seated and it wasn't even crowded 😩 my waiter( Youssef) came and toke my order which I was excited because of ordering my first 55+ breakfast. Waited another 20- 25 minutes for food to come which I ordered the 55+ sampler. 1 pancake 1 egg 1 ham 1 bacon 1 sausage and red potatoes. I had to ask for strawberry syrup which toke another 20 minutes to get which I asked for warm maple syrup and received bubbling hot strawberry syrup which was ok at that point because my pancake had gotten cold. The potatoes looked as if they were threw on the plate was scared to asks for extra napkins because of the wait time. The waiter( Youssef) never came back to asks if everything were ok or if I needed anything else but I received my check pretty fast but had to wait again to pay. If I wasn't honest I could have walked out. When the waiter ( Youssef) finally came he literally tried to tip himself 20 % on the paying pad and asked me to sign as if I didn't notice and I politely removed the tip! ( That's stealing you know Youssef) After all that waiting and bad service in a none crowded restaurant you tried to tip yourself and not allow me to give you a tip yeah watch them here when paying!!!

This had been my first time visiting Plan Check Kitchen in a few years. I noticed a lot had changed. We visited for a Saturday brunch. Surprisingly, there had only been about five people in the restaurant , with us being the only ones dining outdoors. It did start to pick up as we were leaving. Food and Beverage: Plan Check offers an unlimited Mimosa brunch. If you plan on having more than one Mimosa during your visit, I would suggest going with this option. It’ll be much more cost efficient. In my opinion, the food wasn’t as tasty as my past experiences. We started off with the buffalo cauliflower. This is a great vegan option. It’ll taste even better with ranch or blue cheese dressing. Although the waffles were appetizing, they weren’t soft. However, for some, that might be a good thing. The chicken was much better. The French toast was the least tasteful. It was bland and the bananas that they were topped with had no flavor. Billing: Like most restaurants, Plan Check uses the handheld device to take payment. Overall, this is still a good eatery. I preferred the location on Wilshire that closed years ago, but this one isn’t too far behind in regard to service and indoor ambience. This is a place that you can visit while casually catching up with friends or a quick bite with coworkers.

Came here for dinner on a Sunday evening around 6pm and was able to get a table for 3 almost immediately. Street parking nearby wasn’t too hard to find, and the meters are free on Sundays. We shared the Bavarian pretzels to start, which come with queso dip and mustard spread. The pretzels were excellent - beautifully browned and crisp on the exterior, while wonderfully soft and chewy on the inside. The queso dip was alright - nothing too special - but the mustard spread was delightful. I got the Machismo burger with sweet potato waffle fries (free upgrade from regular fries at the time since they were out of regular fries). This was one of the better burgers I’ve had in quite some time. The beef patty was juicy and had a good thickness to it, and I loved the crispy texture added by the fried onions. The bite of the jalapeños, chewiness of the bacon, and meltiness of the cheese all worked together really well to round out all the textures and flavors. The “crunch” bun was really fascinating - I’d never had anything like it, and I thought it was the perfect vessel for the burger. I also really enjoyed the sweet potato waffle fries - light and crispy outside with a soft and tender interior. The house-made ketchup was delicious with them, much more tomato-forward than your standard ketchup. While the food is a bit on the pricey side, I think it was well worth it, and I’d definitely come again to try out some other dishes!

They are a good restaurant with a kick of flavour in their dishes :) We liked their simple food, but the kicks of flavor may not be for everyone! Some of the dish we have is deff. a star (try their chef's favourite burger)! We tried 3 of their menus, all of them were so flavourful. I wish they have room to balance it (the mashed potatoes was awesomely good). Anyways, the place is great for casual dining and a good conversation with friends! The servers and cooks are all friendly

The plan check has some pretty good food. Onion rings were amazing. Burgers were pretty good, expected a bigger patty. Definitely take advantage of happy hour. Off hours gets pretty expensive.

We had table of seven. Burgers we're very good. Cedar plank Salmon was good, small serving. Orange Smash drink is delicious. Fried chicken great.

Cute neighborhood spot with outdoor covered patio, dog-friendly. They have cocktails and tea and finger foods, we usually bring our computers and work here with our dog occasionally. People are very nice, vegetarian items are limited. Outdoor patio is heated. This is right down the street from some pretty amazing Asian restaurant and bakeries. We usually park right in front of this restaurant. Some parts of this area seem slightly run down so I prefer visiting in the afternoon and not night.

This place was just perfect for a Sunday afternoon. I came with my partner for food and drinks and everything was great. The service was quick, I never had to ask for my iced tea to be refilled. It’s a bar environment with lots of restaurant seating. I will definitely be coming back with friends.

An absolutely beautiful and (mostly) yummy selection of donuts that will both amaze your eyes and make your stomach happy. We chose a dozen of some of the most interesting and fun donuts either of us have had and while almost all were amazing, there were a few that were more style over substance which isn’t that surprising. Service was good and helpful and prices were a bit high but worth the quality. The parking lot is a little rough to get a space and we were blocked in while trying to leave while someone else double parked so just be aware!

When I asked the owner what one of his donuts tasted like and if he thought it was good, he replied and said "I don't eat donuts. I just make them." A cook who won't eat his own food and offer feedback is a cook I don't trust. The oils and flavoring have a very peculiar taste that I did not enjoy at all. I actually thought that the donuts at 7-Eleven next door tasted much better.

I mean I’m not sure why there’s even an option to rate service since no one goes to a donut shop for that but okay. Anyway I’ll have to call Gen and Eric out for this review since the donuts tasted like them. Actually, generic is a generous review. I was actually very disappointed. The donut part itself didn’t have a good flavor and honestly reminded me of notebook paper (and yes I have). I gave it two stars for still being edible.

Amazing donuts, amazing breakfast options, and amazing coffee! The service here is outstanding, friendly and quick. The donut selection can be so unique but every bit as delicious as an old fashion donut! I recommend trying anything that catches your eye as you won't be disappointed! They have so many breakfast options from croissant sandwiches, to bagel sandwiches and even breakfast burritos. My personal favorite is the Max special bagel sandwich. If your in the area, stop by and treat yourself.

Nice establishment. Staff is nice. First time here. Donuts are okay but I was really disappointed with the Ube donut. It didn’t have a strong Ube flavor. The double dipped chocolate donut was very chocolaty but I was hoping for a double dip in the chocolate glaze. I might come back and try other flavors but they don’t have any orange flavor.. just orange creamsicle. I like orange without the creamsicle. Worth another look.

The donuts are wonderful and cute great for fulfill colorful childhood dream. Bacon maple is my favorite !

Super last minute I know but I was blown away by the customer service and I already knew the donuts were going to be fire. I literally only agreed to a little birthday lunch just so I can have the Texas size donuts as my cake....We will never go back to traditional cakes** This place was worth every single mile I drove from Santa Clarita. Had this place on my food bucket list and was going to be in the area so I made the spot and it did not disappoint. Got 1x maple bacon 1x salted caramel bacon 1x double dipped old fashion, 1x dk house cream (amazing) 1x stuffed vanilla cream. I ate every single bite. The salted caramel and the housing cream one is the reason I am making another trip out there Sunday.

Large and delicious crepes. We had banana and strawberry with nutella and powder sugar. Big enough to share. Love this crepe place in the lovely farmers market.

We were there weekday 11am and there were no lines and ample seating. It took about 10 minutes to get our food, and we enjoyed a walking around with our buzzer in hand. We got the Nordique (smoked salmon), Popeye (spinach goat cheese), and chicken wrap (came with a small side salad) savory buckwheat crepes, and the banana/strawberry/Nutella sweet crepe, all of which were delicious. A bit pricy but the portions were pretty filling shared between 3 adults and 1 child. Recommended and plan to come back again. They validate Farmer’s Market parking for up to 90 minutes.

Quick and easy ordering of food. Authentic crepes and high quality. Prices are around the market price for crepes. The sweet crepes are a $1-$2 above the market/average pricing. If you plan to get a savory & sweet crepes- it will be at least $22 (w/o tax). But they close at 9 pm- not 10 pm.

Wow, what a culinary delight! I stopped by The French Crepe and ordered the Nutella strawberries and banana crepe, and it was absolutely amazing! The crepe was cooked to perfection, and the filling was generous and delicious. The combination of the warm crepe, sweet Nutella, fresh strawberries, and ripe banana was heavenly. Big shout out to Elvis, the friendly and skilled crepe master who made my dish. His enthusiasm and passion for crepes are contagious! The French Crepe is a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of France in LA. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, and the service is top-notch. I can't wait to come back and try more flavors! Five stars aren't enough - I'd give The French Crepe ten stars if I could!

Excellent crepes, both sweet and savory. A savory crepe has lots of choices of filling. The French Crepe Company is located in the Farmers Market at 3rd and Fairfax. So it's outdoor dining but protected from the wind. An excellent quality during an upsurge in the pandemic. This place was closed when I first arrived in Los Angeles a little over a month ago, but it's open now. They seem to have changed their business plan a bit. The savory crepes no longer come with a salad. Otherwise the crepes are still delicious. I highly recommend the French Crepe Company. A side note: Google just sent me an email that I have 107 followers. I'm not sure why anyone would want to follow a Local Guide, but thanks for following me, I guess. If you'd be so kind as to mark those of my reviews that you think are helpful as helpful at the bottom of the review, that would be nice. Avoid this guy and his Crepe shop. Rude and yelled at me for borrowing a knife because I didn’t ask. Wouldn’t share his name but he’s definitely not French and no one at his little Crepe stand.

These burgers are BIG! Photo does not do it justice size wise (I have huge hands). Get the dry age, worth the price. Best non-smash patty burger in the city! Hot dog was okay, not nearly as memorable as the burger. Fries were also good and large portion. Service is awesome, the ladies working during my visit were very nice and helpful.

Olive garden has nothing on them because when you are at Howlin Ray's you truly are family. We need a Howlin Ray's in Bakersfield. There is a.......... Dave's chicken Nashville Hot Chicken Angry Chicken But none of them are on the scale as Howlin Ray's yes you heard me right this is finger lickin goooood chicken and they have there own drinks no fountain drinks, they do have soda cans and there drinks sweet peach pink and white can lemonade yellow and white can. There are tables outside, the staff calls your # when your food is ready make sure to stop by the counter they have a yellowish treasure box with fun pins and stickers of Howlin Ray's. There is street parking you have to feed the meter. If you are ever in Chinatown don't forget to stop by and meet the staff they will make your day. OH!!! yes, I almost forgot 🤔 to mention and get some chicken strips or chicken sandwiches too 😋 😅 🙃

This place had an amazing staff that look and sounded like they love what they do and had incredible hospitality and their service was phenomenal! My brother got one of their classic sandwich’s and I myself being a vegetarian got what they called Mario Style fries which is shown in the third photo and it tasted absolutely delicious! If I’m back in town I 100% will go to get it!

This is by far the best chicken sandwhich ive ever had (ive had many lol) got the sando with fries and waffle. The comeback sauce is soooo good and the waffle is seriously one of the best waffles ive ever had. I was shocked how good everything was. Definitely a MUST TRY when in LA. The workers are so nice and try really hard to make sure you are good and have everything you need. This place has it down to the T. The food the service the environment. 10/10!!!!!

Howlin' Rays Hot Chicken is a decently good chicken sandwich place! I may not be the appropriate audience for this place as the chicken sandwich I got was good, but there was nothing "wow" about it. We were recommended this place by a friend of ours who lives in California as a must try spot. We stood in line for about 40 minutes and ordered the medium chicken sandwich, and the "secret" menu Mario fries. The sandwich was good, but as already mentioned, at no point did I think this was a sandwich I would stand in line for 40 minutes to get again. The Mario fries also weren't worth it in my opinion, though I did enjoy them more than the sandwich myself. Personally, I enjoyed the spicy Popeye's chicken sandwich more than the one I had out Howlin' Ray's. Kudos to the customer service though. From the cashier to every other individual you interact with, they are extremely friendly and they talk to you and seem to genuinely care. They also seem to give out some freebies which is super cool. We got to try all of the sauces they had for free (which were all delicious. My favorite being the honey mustard). Overall, if you are a fan of chicken sandwiches, try it out and you won't be disappointed. However, if you are like me and you are someone who eats chicken sandwiches occasionally, you probably will end up like me and question if standing in line this long was worth the wait. I would say no, unfortunately it was not worth the wait.

I had such a great experience at this restaurant! The service here is honestly amazing. What I really loved is that everyone working there is ready to help you—not just one assigned server. It’s set up so that any employee can assist you, and no one ever says, “Let me get your server.” It’s such a nice change! Every time I had a question or needed something, someone jumped right in with a smile. You can really feel that the whole team is working together to make sure you’re happy. The food was also really good! Every dish we tried was full of flavor—nothing bland or boring here. The menu is easy to browse, and I liked that they offer both electronic and paper versions, which is super convenient whether you want to scroll on a screen or flip through a classic menu. The decor is also pretty cool. The place has a fun, modern vibe but still feels comfortable and relaxed. It’s one of those places where you can enjoy both the food and the atmosphere. We to Fratelli Café for brunch this weekend. After the breakfast crowd, before the lunch crowd. We were able to find parking across the street easily, but it could be difficult at busier times. There was no line and we were seated immediately. The host(?) explained how to order and where we would need to place the order. Basically, you get a menu and stand in a line to place the order when you are ready. The staff is very friendly and outgoing. As well as knowledgeable about the menu. The menu is varied from sweets to savory dishes. Waffles, French toast, etc to wagyu burgers and sandwiches. We ended up with a California omelet and the Huevos Rancheros. The omelet was what you would expect. Lots of fillings, not over cooked, and plenty of tasty potatoes. The Huevos Rancheros was served on a fried tortilla, not hot, soft tortillas. Not the first time I have had it like this, but it was a bit of surprise. Nothing was hot, but everything was warm. It was getting really busy, I am not sure if our food sat for a bit, it was not like it was under a heat lamp. But it was still good. It was a good amount of food. We got an oatmeal/chocolate chip cookie for dessert. It was maybe the best part. Soft and gooey, not crisp and dry. I would definitely like to try some of the other baked goods. The place is cute with old biking photos as well as bikes hanging on the walls and from the ceiling. The place gets packed. When we left, the line to order was maybe 10 people deep and there was a line forming outside. It seems very efficient. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves here. Good food, good environment, prices are not outrageous. Definitely a place to try again.

Loved this place, food was delish, fast service even though it was pretty full. I loved that once you are ready to order you can do it yourself at the front. Even tho we had no server the busboy/hostess were very attentive and polite .

Discovered this cafe was walking distance from an Airbnb while visiting LA. The owner & staff were very friendly, food was delicious! The potatoes were very crispy- some of the best ever! Our family ordered many different items off the menu and enjoyed everything. Went back two days in a row- and bought extra muffins for our third day to eat in the car! One of the best breakfast restaurants I’ve ever been to. Also- very cool decor and ambiance.

Brite Spot is a historical diner on Sunset blvd in EchoPark area. Interior atmosphere is very cool, nice and relaxing. Indoor design is very chic and classy. I sat at the bar and its bar stools are comfortable and sturdy. Table is prefectly leveled in height. Outdoor seating faces Sunset blvd and of med-large in size. I ordered Breakfast burrito; it lacked some substance and taste. Also, I think it's too mushy and the cheese on top is not completely melted. But their coffee taste good. Menu prices are a little over priced in my opinion. Service was okay but needs to be improved. Staff are nice, attentive, friendly and competent. Parking is very small and has ~8 car maximum capacity. Metered street parking is available. Overall, I wasn't completely satisfied with my breakfast. Clearly I had high expectation for Brite Spot but was let down.

Very happy to be back after so long! Food was excellent, generous portions. In fact my wife said this is her new go to place for pancakes in LA, and we got to lots of diners!

Delicious!! I got the beet salad and it was soo tasty! My daughter got the French Toast, strawberry milkshake and the skillet cookie and she loved it. The skillet cookie is a must have! Our Server Michael was awesome!

I like this place a lot, but it isn't without it's faults. Location is great, and the food is good but the eggs they just couldn't get right. Smacked on a street corner in Silver Lake surrounded by a lot of other great places, making this a perfect location. The restaurant is small and not too busy through the week when I went but guaranteed to fill up during busy brunch trips on the weekends. The food is an array of choices from vegan and vegetarian to somewhat vague renditions of southern faire. Unfortunately being from the south is a curse. The Southern Decadence came with a hard biscuit and plain gravy but the fried chicken breast had all the flavor. There was the Fried Green Tomato Benedict that, while good in theory, just didn't come through. Egg was over cooked and not runny, greens weren't what we expected and the biscuit was hard. On a different occasion I had the corned beef hash where again I was slightly disappointed. The hash was basically just sliced corn beef and home fries but it tasted SO good. Flavor won, but again the over medium eggs was cooked harder than hard. Possibly stick with sunnyside and see how it turns out? All in all I enjoyed it but it didn't knock my socks off. I'm sure I'll be back though.

I've been coming here with my mother and brothers since I was a toddler. It's really sad that all my childhood memories are slowly being removed from Echo Park but I am really glad that Brite Spot has been able to remain open and still able to make fantastic dishes and pies for a reasonable price. I highly recommend getting tater tots instead of hash browns and grab a slice of pie on your way out. Also, chose to eat outside so you can people watch on Sunset. Support this classic eatery!

Stopped by here for breakfast while visiting my uncle in East LA and the food was great! Being from New York we have high breakfast standards and the egg sandwich on sourdough toast was a pleasant surprise. Would definitely recommend stop in, the wait was super quick and the service was great too

worst ihop i ever been too and maggie was our server and she was very incompetent and rude seem like she didn’t wanna do her job and wasn’t even check up on us for refills or how the food was ,we asked her no pickles please she gave us pickles on our burger . we asked for a milkshake they gave us just a water down milk with sprinkles we had to ask for it to be remade . didn’t even taste different they just gave us back whatever we gave them with more ice . the omelette was so bad it looked so ugly and burnt we never gotten something like that before . after 5 mins they severed us out food maggie decided to give us out check . I came here with my wife to start with the service was horrible the waiter was rude and when I received my food my chicken fried steak was not extra crispy like I asked for it was soggy and had barley a drop of gravy on top and my wife got pancakes that were so old they were pulling Apart and not done in the middle my biscuits and gravy were old the biscuit were hard and the gravy was cold with I asked for a manger her name was fabilo was very rude and unpleasant I will never be coming back to ihop again so thank you for losing a paying customer in this economy

It was my birthday and had a taste for waffles. This place was a suggestion. The food was delicious. I had a snaffoo with the eggs, but the manager quickly took care of it for me. Overall, the food was great. The waffles were not hard and crunchy like some other places. They were soft easy to swallow and the steak was seasoned well. My guest liked his chicken ans waffles as well.

The line can be long, so it’s a good idea to plan ahead or be prepared to wait for a bit. However, the wait is worth it because the food is incredibly good. This was my first time trying waffle steak, and it was delicious! The servers were attentive and kind, and the atmosphere was a lot of fun. I noticed that many people with great energy flock in this place.

We are from AZ and are here for the Haloween nights yearly vacation. Looked for good breakfast places, and came across this one. Highly recommend, the Chicken and Waffles is absolutely delicious and our server Megan was great. Just overall great restaurant.

Came for my 40th birthday while I was in town last week and had 3 friends who were all didn’t know each other meet me here. Couldn’t make a reservation, despite calling in advance even though I’m in a wheelchair which is the ONLY issue I had with the place. Usually establishments are able to make some exceptions for accessibility, and although I called and spoke to a staff person a couple days before, my party still had to withstand the nearly hour long wait for a Friday table. Im hindsight, should’ve asked for a manager who may have been more understanding.. All that was immediately forgotten once we got seated and experienced the awesomeness that is Met Her at a Bar. I automatically got why it’s such a hot spot. From the friendly wait staff to the light and airy space with amazing playlist on blast (almost a little too loud?), the vibes were on point. But the real star is the food here. We took the server’s suggestion and ordered the chicken and waffle dish and Thai omelette and oh boy, did they both deliver. I can’t remember what sauces they brought out, but I wanted to drink them all. Easily 10/10. We ended up not being rushed out at all which I guess is the point of this place. Wait forever but stay however long you want. I may get it now…

I really wanted to like this place, but my first visit left me disappointed. The food was okay—not bad, but not great either. The highlight for me was the coffee, which I actually enjoyed a lot. The atmosphere was just okay as well. There was a fly buzzing around our table, which was distracting. Since the door was left open, flies were coming in and out, and that was a little annoying. On top of that, the service was not great. Our food took about 50 minutes to come out, which feels too long for a café. By the time we finished eating, we still hadn’t received our coffee and had to remind the staff a couple of times before it finally came. Considering they weren’t that busy, this was frustrating and took away from the experience. Overall, I will not be going back and not worth it.

Great size of portion, couldnt eat all of it so we had to grab boxes to go! Creepes with shrimps and salmon were really good and delicious - the guy cooked with passion😁 Hot chocolate and latte also made our morning much better. I love the crepes here and the waiters are always sweet and kind!! downside: HOWEVER, I’m an avid coffee/espresso drinker and everytime I drink from here it tastes old as if the beans are not being kept fresh or as if the espresso machine isn’t being cleaned well. I came here at the suggestion of my nephews girlfriend and I'm glad that I did! So many things on the menu looked good, I finally chose the Cinna Love. It was delicious. The service was fast and friendly, the dining area is rather small and can fill up quickly. Only a few people were there when we arrived but it filled up soon after, it was pretty much empty by the time we left. Everything looked clean, I would definitely come back!

Came in for the First time after looking up a breakfeast restaurant while I was out in Reseda. I saw Waffle love was close by and scene great reviews so I had to try it out! We were greeted by Amanda at the register who was extremely knowledgable on the menu and had awesome recommendations. Julian ran out the food nice and hot. Olivia was coming by to check up how we were doing as well as Amanda. This place has given me the best customer service ive ever gotten in any breakfeast restaurant.. Today I died and went to heaven. I had never heard of this place until earlier this week and upon gazing at their menu online I knew the internal fat girl just had to go and try this place out. I was truly not disappointed. My son ordered the chocolate filled banana cream pie waffle and I got the cinna love. Both were extremely delicious!!! The waffles were nice and soft, the cinna love tasted like a cinnamon bun on a waffle and the grilled cheese was heavenly (a very sweet gift from the wonderful lady at the cash register)!!!! The tomato soup had an interesting texture when eating on its own but paired perfectly with the waffle grilled cheese. The staff there were incredibly warm and kind, food came out quickly and was beyond the best thing I have put in my mouth this year. Thank you for a wonderful experience! I will absolutely be back!!!!!!

This place is super cute, has WiFi and plenty of seating for people needing to do work, and has plenty of vegan options for the coffee and food. But paying $8 for their Vegan Protein Latte is ridiculous.. especially when the protein powder they add to the coffee tastes like dirt and sits at the bottom of the cup. And opening hours being at 2pm.. for a coffee shop.. is a strange choice...

I'm going to be honest and fair in my review. I'm giving it three stars solely for the decor and music. The churros don't taste fresh and are also overcooked. The owner should know 100% how the texture and flavor of his product should be, but I think he got to the point of quantity over quality. The house coffee doesn't give it a good taste because they added hot whole milk when they told me they would give me half and half. I hope your next visit is better than mine.

The cinnamon waffle is served warm with Nutella drizzled on top. A divine treat for a chilly evening. I enjoy this place as a late night spot. A great alternative to a bar.

This is a small, quaint shop that wasn't busy when I entered. The attendant was pleasant and I ordered two churros with two of the vegan filling options : guava and oreo. The churros are made to order and it took about 10 minutes for them to be ready. The fillings were good but I wish the churros were a bit more sturdy. One side was so flimsy that the filling came pouring out on both churros through the fillings were different consistencies. If I ordered again, I wonder if I could ask them to be fried a little longer/harder. There are also vegan ice cream options as well as non-vegan flavors for churros and ice cream.

If you want to beat the sweet tooth craving this is the spot. My favorite is the affogato, 2 espresso shots and vanilla soft serve ice cream. I also ordered the churro sampler, especially if you're not too sure what to order and want to try all the flavors. My go-to will be the Guava! It is a small tucked-away location that can be easily missed parking can be brutal but park in the structure on the left-hand side there are signs just read them.

Visiting from Texas. This place is different. Really not my taste. Everything was sweet it seemed. I guess I am used to a different style of comfort food. Do not let me sway you on if you should try, it might be your thing.

Some of the best Soul Food in Los Angeles. Food taste extremely fresh and made with love definitely. The greens have a hint of sweetness which is odd but satisfying. The Mac and cheese is CHEFS KISS!!!! Cornbread is a bit dry but still good af!!! The star of the show though is the hot sauce 😁 I mean my gawd how do they make it taste so sweetly spicy 😊

Can I get a refund for this food. My granddaughters recently went to your establishment and paid more than 45 dollars for food that we eventually gave to the homeless. The chicken wasn't crispy and everything was sweet. Literally everything was sweet. This was My first and last time coming to this establishment. Never again! P.s the hot sauce taste like sweet and sour sauce.

I caught them about 45 mins before closing, I was seated immediately. They have low counter seating as well as tables/booths. This place gives grandma / auntie’s cooking. It’s classic, vintage, old school. I tried the chicken wings, collard greens , and yams. The dinner meals come with cornbread. My chicken and yams were great. Collards were good but I felt could have had a tad more seasoning/flavor. I had a muddy water , on the east coast we call them an “uptown” which is a 1/2 iced tea & 1/2 lemonade. It was delicious. My cornbread was good also, I spread the butter and the honey that came with it. I’d definitely return when I’m in the area and recommend to anyone looking for a casual vibe and yummy food . The owner was also very nice, she walked through the restaurant smiling and checking on customers at the tables. Service was good! Thank you

I ordered a dish I wouldn't usually order! It was sooooooooooo good. Catfish with scrambled eggs, cheese, & onions, with southern potatoes & a biscuit. The catfish was so fresh, flake /crispy, & a good flavor. NOT FISHY!!! Yummy. My Best friend had the same but she had grits & toast & loved it. The Service was amazing. STAFF "ALL" We encountered were so pleasantly sweet. I would go there again. This place was packed. So you know the food is good!

The people were the best part of the experience. I love that even though the location is not the largest the enviroment was great and welcoming. My only issues were the overly loud music and that the food was not what I expected. The chicken was fried to hard and was dry on the inside but the flavor was there. I would go back just to try other items on the menu and to interact with the amazing staff again.

I stopped by The Serving Spoon, via Uber, prior to catching my return flight home. The parking lot was completely full, but wasn’t much a concern for me since I took an Uber but could be something for others to consider especially on weekends. I had luggage with me and the Security guard/ host politely placed my baggage in a locked office as there wasn’t much additional space for storage within the seating area. Didn’t take long before getting seated and being greeted by the waiter. After placing my order, it didn’t take long for my food to come out and it was served fresh and hot. I had the Big Spoon with a Waffle, eggs, bacon, homestyle potatoes, and grits. I topped this meal off with an Arnold Palmer (half tea, half lemonade). Everything was great! The aesthetics were deeply rooted in community showcasing pictures of various prominent black figures framed on the walls. The vibe was just right to have some friendly conversations. Didn’t feel the need to compete with surrounding noise. It was everything that you would expect of a small family diner. I would definitely visit again when visiting LA!

Made a quick stop at this gem on our way to a tour of SoFi Asked the waiter if he could rush our breakfast because we were running late. I got chicken wings, French toast, a biscuit and grits. My wife and daughter shared a Big Spoon with bacon eggs and pancakes. Everything came out super fast and the food was delicious. Fried chicken was crispy and cooked perfectly and the French toast and grits were really good. I wish I could get something close to this back in new york Id totally come back here again!

Roscoe’s on Manchester did not disappoint! I had the fried chicken with greens, mac n cheese, and cornbread—everything was seasoned just right and full of flavor. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, and the sides tasted homemade, especially the greens. My friend had the chicken and waffles and loved the sweet and savory combo. First of all the service was good. The ladies working there are very nice. I’m only unhappy with the value of my meal. I spent $70 on two entres and two drinks. I was shook. My partner and I make above average salary and this was too much for us. The chicken and waffles are good but not life changing. Mac and cheese very bad. I’m glad I tried it but there’s no reason to go back for those prices. I really wish the best for this family owned business. Tip your servers!

Delicious fried chicken, waffles and sweet syrup. I'm picky about fried chicken, but this was great. Their French fries are excellent, lightly crispy, still soft inside. And I feel safe in the restaurant with 20+ security cameras and a guard near the entrance.

The food is good it's just not as good as I remember growing up in LA. However, I got the Oscar with 3 wings. The sunset drink and it's non alcoholic. The yams were amazing. The syrup was really hot which melted the butter onto the waffles. I could eat the waffles all day. The chicken was alright to me. It was my kids first time here and they enjoyed it as well. I didn't eat any of the sauces but these are the options

This is a special family friendly restaurant, with kind people and fantastic food. Staff treated us like valued customers, almost like family. It's been a while since we've had that kind of experience. The food was top-notch with very generous helpings. My favorite was the fried chicken, so crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I told my wife I'm probably never going to eat her chicken again after having some of the Dulans chicken! Don't sleep on the sides though, especially the collard greens and the string beans.

Sadly in our $54.00 delivery order on May 24th, 2025, we received dry Mac and Cheese with several burnt crust shavings from the bottom of the pan in our side dish. The peach cobbler was not fully baked, the crust was white, and doughy and it was completely unbaked. The okra, tomatoes and corn side dish was not as described. It was made using canned tomatoes, canned kernel corn and frozen okra, not at all home cooked food, very undesirable. Lastly, the half fried chicken was fried in dirty oil and very dark and it was soggy. Once the thigh was cut, there was blood leaking from it due to it not being fully fried properly. I hate to report this but Mr. Christian Ferrell, the General Manager, sent me a text and email stating that he would refund our full check. I was surprised and grateful for this level of customer service care that I certainly didn't expect but I knew Mr. Ferrell was being fair. This made all the difference until 12 days later, NO REFUND. I HOPE.THIS WAS AN OVERSIGHT AND NOT AN ATTEMPT TO DEFRAUD US WITH UNFILLED PROMISES OF A REFUND. I'd hate for this matter to be escalated to the Courts. Awaiting the fulfillment of Mr. Ferrell's professional promise. Kth

A couple weeks ago my best friend and I were craving soul food. We decided to check Dulan’s out. The food was as good as it looks in the picture. I got fish, sweet potatoes, and mac and cheese. All I have left to say is WOW! (Oh and the service was great). We will definitely be back soon.

Well, I must start off by saying we were welcomed by an awesome friendly staff with a huge warm welcome and big smiles.. It took us a bit to read over the menu because everything looked so tempting. We decided on the fried chicken dinner and that was so yummy. The batter was crispy & NOT overly fried. I cannot even explain how delicious the chicken was. It came w 4 sides and 6 cornbread muffins. We decided on the Mac n cheese, collard greens, string beans & some mashed potatoes. The Mac n cheese is great, cheesy and cooked to perfection, the greens, string beans and mashed potatoes definitely hit the spot!! The cornbread was awesome & then we tasted some of the best sweet tea & lemonade we have ever tasted. Sweetened to perfection. We also got to sample some of the meatloaf, because like I started off....everything looked great and we couldn't decide. The meatloaf was 10/10, so juicy & the meat was tender and just fell apart in my mouth. This is a great place to dine in, the restaurant was clean, wait staff was friendly and it had just had a nice, homey-cozy atmosphere. With some soft music playing. Should we ever find ourselves back in California, we will definitely go back and try something different. My only regret was being so full that I didn't take any dessert back to the hotel for a late night snack. This restaurant is definitely one on my all time favorites!! Thanks again guys!! 2/26/25 - ate here for the first time! Ordered 4 meals that were all delicious: meatloaf, fried chicken, Mac n cheese greens, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, rice and gravy, beans, cornbread. Everything has great flavor.

Hands down some of the best food "as a whole." That I've ever had. 1,000 times over recommend. I'll let the food in my photo speak for itself.

Ordered through Doordash and BABY THIS FOOD SO GOOD!!! Feel like my grandma made it! I've been a huge fan of Dulans for years and they never disappoint. My only complaint is the entrees only have 2 sides. Their sides are all so good its too hard to decide. Everything pairs perfectly together. Their portions have always been huge! I love how the food isn't over seasoned or salty. I'm glad this business is continuing to thrive and provide great food. Mr Dulan left a beautiful legacy 🙏🏾

We had an amazing lunch at Gus's BBQ! We were seated right away, and our waiter was quick to take our order. The food was absolutely delicious and filling. If you're looking for great barbecue from a local favorite, you have to check out Gus's. The atmosphere was lively but not intrusive. You might have some difficulty finding parking doing busy hours.

Absolutely wonderful BBQ restaurant that combines delicious food, southern hospitality, and a love for what they do. The ribs are cooked to perfection and fall off the bones, delicious even without any sauce. The kitchen is so efficient and the food comes out quickly. They have 2 toes of ribs and ordering a full rack of ribs lets you do half and half. Very friendly staff and plenty of seats inside.

Had such a great time at this BBQ spot! The brisket was flavorful, the ribs were tender, the mac & cheese was creamy and delicious, and that Kansas City spicy sauce was next level. Finished it off with some amazing butter cake and ice cream—perfect ending to a delicious meal! Also a plus is they have free parking just next to the restaurant.

Gus’s BBQ is definitely going on my list of favorite spots in Pasadena! The service was amazing , our server recommended the cornbread as an appetizer and it did not disappoint. So flavorful and gluten-free! We ordered the chicken and two meats combo, and let me just say… the chicken was cooked to perfection. The house made blueberry mint lemonade was super refreshing and the perfect touch to an incredible meal. Highly recommend!

First time here everything was good but not much better than most BBQ. Large portions and a good ceasar. In fact that was the highlight. Large 23oz beer was worth the extra cost. We had the ribs plus 2 meats and it was more than we could both split. Children's portion was also substantial. No problem parking but not an abundance. Make sure you get a reservation. 4.6/5 one of the best bbq places I’ve been to every bbq they have were tender and flavorful. The tri tip sandwich that we had was lacking some flavor though. But the service was amazing. I highly recommend their brisket, bbq chicken, st louis spare ribs, and links. Also the cream corn and mac and cheese

We could not get enough of staying here - totally ready to move in! Loved how the rooms were above the gym so it was just a quick elevator ride to start the day with a workout. The layout of the track, pool, basketball courts and weights all gave a private yet community feel to working out. The locker rooms, spa/sauna/steam/cold plunge was amazing! And even though we don't live in the area, the staff and even regular members were so welcoming and nice. The sleeping room was wonderful and the decor and history made it such a wonderful and restful stay. The bar and restaurant were excellent and there was live jazz one evening as well. Truly, we cannot wait to return!

We weren't sure how our experience would be upon driving to the hotel. LA really needs to figure out how to take care of their unhoused population. But once we entered the hotel, it was like a sanctuary. Everything was clean, awesome vibes, the staff was all so friendly. Bartender Sierra was so nice. We enjoyed that nothing seemed off limits. We were encouraged by everyone to explore the hotel and all the facilities. We will definitely stay again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Long Overdue Thank You to LA Athletic Club (Feb 10–12, 2025) I stayed at the Los Angeles Athletic Club in February while attending an International Association of Firefighters event, and I’ve been meaning to write this review ever since, especially after being reminded today of just how exceptional the service is. From the moment we arrived, the hotel felt like a beautifully preserved time capsule. The décor, the vintage atmosphere, and the old-school charm of the rooms transported me back 100 years to a classic, golden-era Los Angeles. The gym and pool are top-tier, seriously one of the best athletic facilities I’ve seen in any hotel. But what really stood out, and what prompted me to finally write this review, was the extraordinary service, especially from Melissa. She was professional, courteous, funny, and genuinely made us feel like VIPs. She went above and beyond during our stay, and months later, when I called to track down a receipt, Melissa was once again incredibly helpful and kind. Her consistency and positive energy are rare and worth celebrating. This place isn’t just a hotel, it’s an experience. Can’t wait to come back.

Nice hotel located down town LA. Spent a couple of nights here on my trip to US. The rooms were nice and clean. Old stylish, but cool. Got a boutique wibe to it. Would say that you need to be aware that they charge you an extra 40$/per night on top for a membership to the club. Even if you don’t use their training facilities or services, this needs to be paid. The parking is also 40$/per night if you opt to park your car in their garage. The parking price was not mentioned when I checked in, but showed up on my final bill. Nice and friendly staff. Nice enough to compensate me for 1 day parking I didn’t use. Would recommend this Hotel if you’re into training and don’t mind paying a bit extra to use their training facilities.

The hotel has a lot of charm and historic fare all around, but it is quite old in the rooms reflect that. Many of the fixtures in the restrooms and showers are old and not fully fixed to the walls. They look and feel like very old apartments. The fitness facilities looked very nice and we tried one of the restaurants and had a good meal even though the coffee was pretty bad. The staff is very friendly and professional and open to help you out how they can. Getting in and out of the hotel was tricky as one entrance is closed at night to prevent homeless persons from walking in so you have to go around through an entrance in the parking garage and I got a little confusing one night as the instructions were not detailed when we were told to go around.

Worse experience ever I check in Sunday when I got there seem to me the employees where more focus on closing early than really focus on the guest the fee for that room was charge on August 14 on my credit card when I got there on the 31 they ask me for my credit card so they can charge $100 deposit and when I call asking for my deposit they say I will only get $60because of there was a destination fee but after I ask why if the hotel room was pay 16 days before they change that to a parking lot feel. Well not only that. Room service worse thing ever place an order thru and after 20 minutes they send me a text they. Couldn’t process my order so I have to go my self internet service down not even at motel 6 you get this service I will never go back to this place not even with a discount

This place was the coolest. The building itself is a destination. We spent over an hour just exploring the historic floors and amenities. The room was comfy, the food was good, and Melissa spent extra time explaining the place to us so we'd get the most out of the visit. We will definitely stay there again!
