We had a wonderful experience at The Waffle! We were served by Noe, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and explained everything so well. His service was absolutely outstanding and made us feel truly welcome. The food was also fantastic – big portions, delicious, and satisfying. Noe went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. Highly recommended – and once again, a big thank you to Noe for making our visit so special! 🙌🍽️

Came for my birthday breakfast with the family! Wait was about 10 minutes for 6 people, we received waters and coffee promptly after. Server was very on top of our needs and got everything right, he did have that laid back LA vibe. Eggs are a different color here(very orange) because they get them from a nearby organic farm fresh. We were very filled after our meals and they brought me a birthday waffle that was yummy. The big fan and umbrellas on the patio really helped manage the weather. Highly recommend getting something with a waffle here!
Brandon D — Google review
The waffles here were amazing! I stumbled upon this place randomly while on Sunset. I love breakfast and waffles and this definitely exceeded my expectations. Tres Leche waffle was so good! Their special, pumpkin spice waffle also had a great pumpkin flavor. Hash browns were crispy and flat but also delicious! Trevor was my server and gave great food recommendations! I will definitely return if I am in the area
Ryan M — Google review
Totally amazed by how good this breakfast was. Hands down the best we had in our trip to LA. They claim their eggs are organic and I could tell the eggs and sausage both taste different in a good way. Prices are very reasonable, same goes with the service received.
Jesus M — Google review
A man chill place if you want to get some breakfast. Very Hollywood and very trendy. The staff was friendly. The service is good. The food is good. I got the waffle breakfast sandwich. Reading it I thought it would be a lot, but I was pleasantly surprised. The waffle wasn’t too sweet the combination of the scrambled eggs and the bacon that I got was perfect. I felt full without being stuffed. You can find decent street parking. I would totally come to this place again.
Dayna W — Google review
So glad there was an option to try everything because I couldn’t decide between eggs or waffles! The Waffle lets you have it all ⭐️ Food was excellent, lots of space in and outside. Went at 10am which was nice and quiet, there was a growing line when we left. We had a lot of random requests they managed to honour in our orders too, very chill about it :)
Tahlia C — Google review
I came here 3 times whilst on my trip. The waffle sandwich was delicious and the hot beverage mocha was top tier! I would definitely recommend. If I ever return, I know where I’ll be eating at for sure. Inside and outdoor dining, and accessible. I only wish I took more photographs of the first two days of food.
Dnicaw — Google review
One of my favorite spots in Hollywood for breakfast! Outdoor seating is where to take the visitors or just enjoy the weather ! Nice booths inside too and they have counter seating ! This place gets super busy on weekend brunches so be warned! Otherwise it's just a great spot for lunch or breakfast with a full bar The staff is excellent and always treatse.well! It is right on sunset Blvd near the Hollywood palladium music venue and sunset and vine is a block away!

Poppy + Rose is a charming cafe located in the heart of the Original LA Flower Market. Established in 2014 by Chef Michael Reed and Kwini Reed, this cozy eatery has gained recognition for its delectable Southern comfort dishes made with fresh ingredients. The menu boasts a variety of mouthwatering options, including their famous buttermilk fried chicken and waffle, as well as the unique Kitchen Sink Bowl featuring an array of flavorful ingredients.
Was very impressed with Poppy+Rose! The food was phenomenal and the service was great as well. I got the crab and avocado Benedict, which I loved, and my boyfriend was obsessed with his kitchen sink bowl. Thank you for serving great food and having exceptional service on our visit to LA. Will definitely try to make it back here before we leave and recommend it to others.
Savannah S — Google review
Nice neighborhood breakfast spot. Service was a little slow but I think that’s because they only had two waiters. Our waitress Kayla was awesome at managing what she could and was very hospitable. The food was pretty good. I thought the crab cake Benedict should have had more crab. All of the other flavors masked the taste of the crab unfortunately. The fries were delicious and so was the fried chicken.
Cierrah W — Google review
Oh yes. My wife and I have passed this place many times when visiting the adjacent Flower market in DTLA - and it was always busy. After we had all our flowery-needs yesterday I asked my wife to Yelp "best breakfast in DTLA" and it popped up - the Poppy & Rose - and we were standing in front of it. I must say two things: I did not find the ambiance too appealing and they you could hear through the open door it was extremely loud. Still, we gave it a try - and I can tell you: it was delicious. Our server - one you would describe as the typical California surfer boy - was extremely charming - so despite the so-so ambiance (the vibe of this place was great though) and the noise we will definitely go again. Would we make a 30+ min detour just to eat here (mandatory in my rating scheme to achieve five out five): again, oh yes!
Guido K — Google review
First time here and I am blown away at how good it is!!! I ordered the pulled pork hash and my bf got the chicken sandwich both of which were tender and full of flavor. I will definitely be telling people about this place and will be back!! It is super loud in here but you can still talk.
Naomi R — Google review
Oh this place is a sleeper cell!! Delicious. Had the pulled pork hash - GAS!!! Savory in flavor this hit all the right queues. Don’t be afraid to drop in and order, everything we had was fresh and the strawberry lemonade hits too.
GRIP S — Google review
I got the chicken and waffles and a side of grits. The chicken was very tender and sweet goes great with the fresh crispy fluffy waffles ! I added some butter and salt/pepper to my grits and smothered them over each bite of chicken as i enjoyed life for a cool minute! My girl and I shared this meal she got her own side and we both left full. HIGHLY Recommend!
Daniel V — Google review
The food was okay--nothing special. I ordered a salad with fried chicken, but the chicken was bland and really lacked seasoning. The service was friendly but not very attentive. Overall, it was fine for a quick bite, and l'd eat here again if I were already in the area. But I wouldn't make a special trip just to come back.
Junior S — Google review
Charming little breakfast spot in a nice neighborhood. The service was a bit slow, but it seemed they were short-staffed with only two servers. Our waitress, Kayla, was wonderful — friendly, attentive, and handled everything with a great attitude. The food was overall pretty good. The crab cake Benedict could’ve used a bit more crab flavor, as the other ingredients overpowered it. On the bright side, the fries were crispy and delicious, and the fried chicken was excellent. I’d definitely come back to give it another try!

More Than Waffles, a cozy eatery in Encino, has been delighting visitors with its wide variety of waffles and unique pancake creations since 1975. The menu offers an array of options, from healthy choices like pancakes made from various grains to indulgent treats like chocolate chip and pumpkin pecan pancakes. The Hot Apple, sprinkled with cinnamon inside and on top, is a must-try, as is the Almond Joy with coconut, Nutella, and almonds.
The waffles and pancakes are absolutely perfect--this is what you are looking for when you want a good pancake and/or waffle. Soft, lightly crispy, super soft but thick in the center. They give you sides of melted butter with each--we also got the waffles with Nutella and Strawberries, which I highly suggest. The Hash & Eggs combo was delicious, everything was cooked perfect, and the home fries were great. We also had a cheddar and mushroom omelet, and our friends had the Denver omelet, which were good, but I'd probably stick with the hash & eggs combo. The coffee was alright, but if you get a cappuccino or latte, do not get the sugary add-in flavors. They are too sweet and taste a little of chemicals. The plain cappuccino was better, but I'd probably just get a regular coffee next time. Our server, and everyone else working, was very kind and accommodating, and the environment outside is nice. We were right next to the fountain, and it was enjoyable, plus they have heat lamps if it gets chilly. We'll be back :)
Brianne R — Google review
The food at More Than Waffles always hits that sweet spot like a warm, feel good, almost homemade breakfast hug. I ordered the lox and eggs scramble with home fries, which, by the way, I absolutely must dip in ranch. I’ve been doing that since I was a kid call it weird, call it nostalgic, but mostly, just call it delicious. The fries are cooked to crispy perfection with just the right amount of seasoning not too salty, not too bland, just that Goldilocks level of “mmm.” My wife got the classic bacon and eggs plate with a side of home fries, because apparently, we are a fry family. The kids? They split my bagel (thanks, kids) and stole some of my fries, because of course they did. You know how kids are they act like Michelin critics in tiny sneakers. Now, a quick heads up: the wait here can be no joke. Depending on when you show up, you could be looking at a 30-minute wait… or you might have time to finish a podcast, do a crossword, and start questioning your life decisions. But honestly? It’s totally worth it. Once you’re seated, the servers are super friendly, attentive, and just overall good vibes. Ask and ye shall receive coffee refills, napkins, possibly even emotional support if your kid spills the juice. The place has a cozy, retro 80s breakfast diner feel which for me, as an 80s baby, feels like home. Nostalgia with a side of hash browns. It’s warm, welcoming, and full of regulars who know what’s up. If you’re in the mood for a solid, satisfying, lovingly made breakfast, More Than Waffles is your spot. I’ll definitely be back. And next time, I’m ordering extra fries… and hiding them from the kids.

Love the old house decor, makes you feel your at your grandma's who loves to feed you. The homemade jam and hot sause are top tier. I loved the corned beef and hash. The waffles are a must!
Tricia I — Google review
Good vibes around. Family friendly. Wait times kinda suck. Food is pretty good though. I ordered 2 eggs and hash w meat. Everything but the hash for me. It was very gamey for my taste. But all and all recommend.
Brenda M — Google review
Always always always fantastic! We love the MTW family. Great food, service and our hands down favorite globally.
Michael B — Google review
What's not to love about this small, unassuming place with the best quality waffles... ever. This charming place has been here forever and we keep going back for more. The entrees are HUGE (maybe even too big) and the food comes out super quick. They do a great job of getting you your order quickly. Every staff member is so friendly and attentive and really you feel like you are in a true neighborhood gem. Love this place and we will keep going back over and over again.
Lizbeth W — Google review
Today was our first time in this place. Everything was Awsome. The value for the price, the portion, the food quality and the service was perfect. Amy was our server she was helpful and kind with positive vibe. I loved the waffle more than the omelet but overally this place is 10 out of the 10. Highly recomended.

Shaky Alibi is a charming and stylish cafe known for its specialty espresso drinks and delectable sweet or savory Belgian Liege waffles. The cafe's cozy interior features vine-covered brick walls, while outdoor seating with blue umbrellas provides a delightful al fresco experience.
I would say that this is the best homemade waffle in LA!!! I was surprised by the quality of the food and service. I am not a big fan of eating sweet stuff in the morning, but their waffles were super tasty. Their waffles were not too sweet like other spots in the city; on the contrary, their waffles were crunchy and not overly sweet. To me, they were perfect! I do recommend this restaurant to everyone who appreciates homemade foods.
Andréa A — Google review
Made it here after driving and walking by this spot for ages! Glad to have stopped by because the waffles were yummy! Did a savory and a sweet version and both were delish. Plus awesome coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice - what’s not to love. Friendly staff and well frequented by their local neighbors it appears. Stop by for them waffles!!

Shaky Alibi is a gem! The homemade waffles were absolutely excellent—crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and served with so many different toppings and flavors to choose from. It’s the kind of place where you can keep coming back just to try something new each time. The service was also excellent—friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a must-visit if you love waffles and great service. and if you ask chatgpt it will also tell you to definitely check it out

While walking around the area and killing some time, I saw the big banner out front for “Best Waffles in America” so I decided to give it a try. I ordered a matcha latte and “The Elvis” (which included a waffle topped with natural peanut butter, maple bacon, slices of banana and a drizzle of honey). The matcha latte was delicious, I got it warm. The Elvis was very savory and although the employee serving me gave me a bottle of maple syrup he said that I might not even need it and he was correct. The portion was also perfect. The service is what really brought me to this 5-Star rating. The employee working when I went was Jose, he was such a great person. I was the only customer in at the time and he was very helpful giving me advice on the menu items and just chatting about life. I tried giving him a cash tip before I left, but he wouldn’t accept it and simply said, “Just come back and bring a friend!” He mentioned that he enjoyed working there and that the customers & community keep him motivated. Jose is the kind of person you want to have working for you and I will definitely find my way back here to say hi and enjoy a good waffle.
Rowell M — Google review
One thing I really value is great service! In my opinion, it makes or breaks a food service experience. What I enjoy even more is when there is great service, a flavorful variety of beverages, and, of course, cleanliness is important to me. This place has it all! I had no idea what to expect. From the moment I walked in by myself, I felt comfortable. The sweet young man working today kindly walked me through the options to best fit my dietary needs and preferences. The Chai was absolutely flavorful, and the waffle was hot, fresh, crunchy yet soft, and definitely delicious! They have an organic alternative dairy option as well. Plus, real maple syrup! Score! I will absolutely go back based on my first experience!
Celeste G — Google review
Unfortunately, cannot rate the food because after waiting 45 minutes our orders were yet to be taken and were told it was a 20 minute wait for food to come out. We left for another cafe serving waffles. The table did not get cleared for 30 minutes and was only cleared because I asked for it to be cleared. Customers who arrived 30 minutes after us were served before we were. The table appeared to have never been wiped down and was filthy. Staff behind the counter were less than helpful when asked where we could sit and whether it was table service or ordering at the counter. Was happy to spend our money elsewhere.

I’m new to the area and stumbled upon Shaky Alibi Thursday around 2 pm (one hour before closing) while on exploratory walkabout and dreaming of coffee. I was pleasantly surprised to find the owner charming and courteous, the service impeccable, and the steaming coffee and sweet waffle delicious. (The special type of sugar is pictured here.) Plus there is a surprise bonus: a small photography gallery wall!
Hadley G — Google review
"VOTED BEST WAFFLE IN AMERICA"?! I don't think so. Let's start with the good....our server even though a little slow was friendly and I could tell she was doing her best. It was the food that really disappointed me...actually to a degree where I felt almost ripped off. Here's why: When you go to a waffle place that specialized in waffles...you expect their waffles to be fresh! We waited close to 25 min, but I figured if it's fresh then it's worth the wait. The waffle was very stale, old and crunchy....like it had been sitting out the day before and they just refrigerated it over night and served the next day. Toppings are additional cost..which to be honest, is a bit surprising...considering most people expect something on their waffle (and this place is not cheap). The Poached Eggs Plate was equally disappointing. I almost let out a chuckle when it got served. I've had better eggs and sausage at McDonald's - no seriously! The sausage was hard and too greasy and the eggs were your average tasteless...low quality with no seasoning eggs...if you're going to put paprika on eggs...sprinkle at least a little salt. Voted Best Waffle...No! and unfortunately I won't go back even for ...well...anything. You don't charge prices like this...where everything is additional like it's a steakhouse...and then serve your customers that degree of quality. :(

Fred 62 is a classic diner with a unique concept of serving diner food. The restaurant has recently celebrated its 20th anniversary and now offers updated business hours, staying open until midnight every day of the week. The funky retro hipster vibe of the place adds to its charm, and the chefs are dedicated to creating innovative dishes that keep customers coming back for more.
I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Fred 62! The Shakshuka eggs were perfectly seasoned and had just the right amount of spice—an excellent start to the meal. The French toast was heavenly—soft, fluffy, and with just the right touch of sweetness. And don’t even get me started on the strawberry shake—it was rich, creamy, and tasted like pure nostalgia. The diner itself has such a cool and cozy vibe, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Whether you’re looking for comfort food or something trendy with a twist, Fred 62 hits the mark. I can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu. Highly recommend!

Read before you go I am being honest with this review, I give honest reviews for other people to know before they go. We went on August 30, 2025. I give it two stars and let me explain why. First, $30 for a kids meal that is two small pieces of chicken strips with shoe string fries, the fries was generous, it was a lot but very thin fries, the chicken strips was a disgraced, small strips and didn’t taste that good and we ordered the Buttermilk pancakes which was 3 pieces of pancakes that had only a little bit of powdered sugar on top and pancakes was not that good, and a drink which was not even a big glass and it had a lot of ice meaning a little amount of soda with a lot of ice in a glass, all of that for $30. Waited long for our food. Over priced for a kids meal and 3 pieces of pancakes in a plate with a drink. Guy that took our order was nice but lady, with black hair that gave us our order not friendly. Place was too loud and too dark, if you are sensitive to sound it’s not a good place. Didn’t try to order other things as it was over priced and place was just too loud, music was too loud too dark not enough light. It felt stuffy inside. It just felt chaotic. Not a place where you can enjoy your meal. I am not a hater just an honest reviewer hoping owner would sit down on his or her own restaurant and try to see if he or she would enjoy his/her over priced meal with very loud music.

Wonderful Thanksgiving dinner here with the whole family on vacation. Couldn’t believe how speedy the service was with the healthy portions. Highly recommend the fried mac ‘n’ cheese balls for a starter. The turkey meatloaf had this nice glaze atop the crisped top. The Thanksgiving dinner special looked fantastic and filling. Really appreciated the friendly service. And I’ll note their corking fee was only $10, so bring a bottle!

Came here on a weekday morning after doing one of the hikes up to Griffith Park Observatory. Chill diner atmosphere, way less packed than I thought it would be. I ordered this Fred 62 Salmon lox variant, and the peach pie. Both were really good, but it was actually the customer service that was over the top. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, just sitting there reading, taking up space. Free parking was a little difficult, but I found something two blocks up, and I feel like for LA this is normal.

Pretty good food, a bit pricey for what it was, but understandable for the area. What really stood out to me was the service. My server Jose Luis was wonderful, extremely attentive and kind. The place is clean and cute, with that traditional diner aesthetic.

What a great Dinner! 😋. We ordered the club sandwich, the classic burger, and the achiote chicken sandwich. They all come with fries but I substitute my fries with curly fries. Other substitutes; tater tots, sweat potatoes. They also come with pickle 🥒 cucumber on the side. For drinks my kids ordered an Almer Palmer, and a strawberry Limonade wich is not on the menu but our great waitress made it with their hand made mashed strawberry jam. Real fruit strawberry Limonade! Food was out quick which was good because we were hungry. After walking a couple miles in Los Feliz just shopping and site seeing those drinks were refreshing. I must add that their taste ofusic was good, sinatra was on the playlist alongside with other artists of the 50', 60s. Highly recommend this Dinner. Will need to come back and try the breakfast 🥞🍳.

Stopped in for a quick milkshake and was so glad I did! The staff was welcoming and kind. Great spot for a cute date or snack before a night out.

The food is delicious, the prices are high, although that's not surprising for the neighborhood. I had the shaggy Mr Frenchie, actuated French toast, yummy! But the real STAR of the show was the loaded tater tots. I thought I wanted a sweet breakfast for dinner type of meal, but those tots hit the spot SO well, I all but ignored my French toast just for them. I'll come back just for the tots, they're enough to be a meal on their own.

One word...AMAZING!!!! You have to try this place! It is an intimate place, but I would not change anything about it. Everything just works, the staff, the food, the location. I would definitely return to Bru's Wiffle if I were in the area. Everyone in my party enjoyed our food. We had great conversations, and the server was attentive. You all are killing it! Great job!!!

Brü’s Wiffle in Santa Monica is a fantastic spot with a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The chai latte was absolutely amazing—perfectly spiced, smooth, and comforting. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a great vibe. Service is also super fast, making it an ideal place for a quick stop or a relaxed coffee break. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a great drink and a warm, inviting environment!

If I could give 10 stars, I would! This was by far the best service I had in LA. They were super friendly, attentive, fast. The food was fantastic, literally everything we ordered was wonderful (I’m pregnant and picky with food). Unfortunately we were too hungry to take pictures but seriously, don’t think twice. Just GO! you will have a great time and a happy stomach. 🩷 Thanks Ale!!!

Stopped here on the way to the beach and was a good experience. The restaurant had good food and drink options. Latte was good. Food was not anything special but it was made very well. The staff was nice and hard working. We sat inside but found out there is an outdoor patio in the back. Would recommend Bru's to anyone.

Truly one of the BEST restaurants, and I do not say that lightly! Whenever I am visiting the area, I go out of my way to come here. Great menu, extremely nice and efficient staff. They truly take pride in their work. The food is always fresh and beyond my expectations. Love love LOVE this place!!

We went for brunch on Sunday around noon, there was a wait line, it took around 20 minutes to get a table. The chimichanga was great, the fried chicken with cheesy Hashbrowns was really good, my only complaint is that they give such a small portion of hashbrowns compared to the size of the chicken. The bloody Mary was pretty good. The lavender mimosa wouldn't recommend, I love all lavender but the syrup wasn't good at all. The hot chocolate/mocca was delicious. Nice place but Will not return.

Went on a Sunday morning and our wait was about 30 min. Circled around for street parking for a bit but that's expected for this area. Once seated we were able to order pretty quickly. Servers were friendly, outdoor seating in the back was nice given it was a beautiful late morning/afternoon. There were 3 of us and we wanted to try a bunch of items on the menu since it was our first time. We ordered popcorn chicken, cheesy hash, shakshuka, bru's French toast and the pizza omelet. We finished off everything! The pizza omelet tasted so much like pizza that I didn't miss the crust. Will definitely go back when in LA.

Cool ambiance. Came here for the Gluten Free waffle and Gluten Free fried chicken. Was really good overall. The waffle was a little dry, but nothing unbearable. The chicken was great and the sauce for an excellent compliment. Cool vibe in the restaurant as well. The hash with eggs was by far the best dish we had. Excellent melding of flavors. Would return.

Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles is a local soul food chain that has been serving up its signature dish since 1975. Founded by Harlem native Herb Hudson, the restaurant has become a celebrity favorite, with famous patrons like Stevie Wonder and Natalie Cole spreading the word about its mouthwatering soul food. The unassuming diner-style space has drawn in notable figures, including President Obama in 2011.
I been here once when I was visiting Los Angeles many years ago and craving for some good fried chicken. Upon arrival, there was a wait, but I did not mind since I am a very patient person. Then when I was seated I instantly scrolled through the menu to see what’s for me. Their menu consists of their famous chicken and waffles, different chicken combos, sandwiches, burgers, sweets, drinks, beer, etc. Everything is made to order which is a plus for me and I never mind the wait as long the food comes out great. Their staffs are welcoming, well trained, understanding, that is probably why they are well known and busy all the time. I usually do not like sweets when I am hungry but the chicken with waffle plus syrup was on another level that made it a outstanding visit. I highly recommend this place if you are visiting Los Angeles, want to try something new or if you are looking for a laid back spot. I definitely will be back to tryout the other delicious options they have to offer.
Alzila — Google review
Never again. I have never given a bad review. I believe everyone deserves a chance, but Roscoe's has been around long enough where they need to be held accountable for bad service and bad food, just bad. The chicken was not fried completely through; it was still raw. The cornbread was hard as a brick. The greens looked like they were two weeks old. The waffle was dry and nasty with no taste. I spent $47.95 for one person to eat and to be very disappointed. I pray I don't get sick. I came down to LA to fly out to go to Hawaii for my birthday, and this is crazy. I'll call, and they don't pick up the phones.

Everything was so good! Me and my baby went for a early breakfast and there was no wait. The orange juice was AMAZING 😍 MY BABY LOVED THE BISCUIT AND GRAVY. I enjoyed my waffles and the wings I just wish they would have been a bit crispy on the outside. But thats just a personal preference. Everything was delicious the wings were crisp to perfection and the fluffy waffles with syrup were spot on! Our server was sweet and very attentive. We will definitely be back!

May have given I higher rating because it may have just been waht I ordered was just okay. The scrambled eggs are delicious! My group did love the chicken and waffles. I'll have to try those next time.

The food was amazing, I ordered the country boy. The fried glorious chicken was so tender and juicy that I ended up finishing all my chicken before I got a photo (be warned the food is so good you might eat it all on accident) this is a must try if you are in the area! I got a sunrise to drink and when it came out I looked out the window to make sure the sun hadn't just risen in my cup, The lemonade and orange juice combo was delicious!

Chicken was hot and fresh. Water tasted gritty. So did the lemonade. Waffle didn’t seem fresh. Soggy before syrup was added.

We're not from here and visited this location while on the area and the front desk server that took our order just seemed annoyed with people not us just wasn't friendly just seemed as if we were wasting her time but the food was great would of liked to speak with her just to get insight on what was the most popular dishes and get a little history

Crossroads Kitchen in Melrose offers an upscale dining experience with a sophisticated selection of vegan dishes, complemented by a variety of wines and cocktails. The restaurant's elegant ambiance appeals to both vegans and non-vegans alike, providing a refined setting for enjoying plant-based cuisine that doesn't feel like traditional vegan fare.
We are not vegan, but we really enjoyed the food here. The spicy rigatoni with chicken parm was excellent—full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The calamari was also very good, crispy and tasty. The atmosphere was great and very welcoming. The service was also very good; the staff was friendly and quick. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty and enjoyable meal.

For all vegan lovers, Crossroads Kitchen in West Hollywood is a must. Great atmosphere with dimmed lighting. Table spacing is comfortable. Very knowledgeable staff and very helpful when ordering. Plan to order several dishes and share (we had 6). Shoutout to our server Karina, manager Dave, and also helping was Jesus. We don't live in LA and this is our second time going.

LOVE Crossroads. I drive up from San Diego because they are consistently the best restaurant, everything I have ordered there is delicious, I love that seasonal options change and bring newness to the menu while being able to rely on staples. Friends have commented that 'you would never know it's vegan pizza' and 'this is the best breakfast croissant I have ever had' (vegan or otherwise!). Beautiful decor, great service! The vegas location is great too! The moussaka was sooo good, cheese plate always good. I mean everything just SO good!

We tried their tasting menu and were happy with the options they had. While expensive, we got to try various small plates, unique in their presentation and taste. The interior had a busy, yet cozy fine dining vibe. Their dishes have heavy truffle taste, so if you're not a fan of mushrooms, may want to go elsewhere.

My friend booked a reservation as this is one of their favorite spots and as I was traveling from New York, i thought we should go somewhere nice anyway! This restaurant ended up being exceptional. Hands-down, the best vegan plant based restaurant we tried in LA. The food was amazing. Every single dish we got was flavorful. It is à la carte style, so be ready to share and definitely save room for dessert. We are so satisfied with our first experience here that we are going to be coming back to try it one more time before we head back home to Vancouver BC.

The building and interior are amazing, you have to visit. The food was really great too. The pancakes were so light, best diner pancakes I’ve had. My server Brenda was amazing she made the visit even better by giving me such a great experience, she is an absolute darling and the reason for posting this 10/10 review. I will be back.

Pann's is an LA landmark for a reason. I've been a long-time fan, and the food has remained consistently delicious over the years. The service is also spectacular—everyone is so friendly and attentive. While the atmosphere has changed a bit over the past few years, the heart of the restaurant is still there. On a recent visit, the inside was completely packed with a crowd of people waiting to get in, but we opted to sit outside and were seated right away. The outdoor seating is a great new addition and offers a wonderful dining experience. If you're looking for great food, excellent service, and a piece of Hollywood history, you can't go wrong with Pann's.

Outstanding food and incredible service. Jorge S was our server and he was professional, fast, and friendly. You could tell her loved his job, and the people he served. Picture includes a Po Boy, but I had already eaten half ;). Chicken was unbelievable, and pancakes had the best flavor. I can’t say enough about this place, but you won’t be disappointed!
Dave T — Google review
We’ve now been to Pann’s twice, and both times were nothing short of amazing. By coincidence, we sat in the same seats and had the same server, Brenda — and wow, she is phenomenal. Warm, personable, and truly makes you feel right at home. If you’re ever offered a counter/bar seat, don’t pass it up — Brenda makes the experience even more special. The food here is lights out — they do not miss. From fried chicken to country fried steak, every dish has been delicious. Their biscuits are hands-down the best I’ve ever had, and the iced coffee is a must (especially with Brenda’s sweet cream — trust me on this one). On our second visit, I ordered the chicken thigh and leg, and after I finished my plate, Brenda surprised me with an extra wing just to try while my boyfriend was still finishing his meal. That small act of kindness really stood out and made the experience unforgettable. The whole vibe at Pann’s is classic and timeless — a 1950s diner feel with framed photos lining the walls. Between the welcoming atmosphere, incredible food, and Brenda’s thoughtful service, Pann’s has quickly become one of our favorite spots. We can’t wait to come back again!
Madigan F — Google review
We were on location shooting at LAX and asked Google for the best breakfast close by and it directed us to Pann’s. Apprehensive at first, it looks like a Denny’s out of the 50s as you arrive, but inside we found outstanding service topped by even better food. This joint is iconic, clean, and efficient. We sat at the counter and had a great experience. It was so cool to see all of the movies that have been shot here and we all recognized it once inside. HIHGLY recommend! We will be back on every visit to LAX.
Randal S — Google review
Pann’s Restaurant is a Los Angeles institution that excels in both atmosphere and classic American diner fare. Stepping inside is like taking a trip back to the 1950s, thanks to its iconic Googie architecture—think bold angles, neon signs, big glass windows, red leather booths, and a vintage lunch counter that preserve the restaurant’s original style. Atmosphere The retro feel is unbeatable and the place is always buzzing with locals and visitors. Service is warm, attentive, and family-friendly, making anyone feel welcome, whether it’s your first visit or you’re a regular. Outdoor seating is dog-friendly and adds to the laid-back, Southern California vibe. Food Breakfast is served all day and is a standout. Must-try: Fried chicken and waffles—crispy, juicy, and seasoned just right. The buttermilk biscuits are freshly baked, buttery, and possibly the best in LA. Highlights Hearty portions and high-quality ingredients. Go-to spot for brunch and all-day breakfast. Fun, nostalgic decor and welcoming staff. Final Thoughts If you love classic diners, comfort food, and a slice of LA’s history, Pann’s is a must-visit. The restaurant perfectly balances nostalgia with friendly service and a menu that keeps you coming back. Don’t miss those famous fried chicken and biscuits! Open from early morning until 3 p.m. (No dinner service)

Bruxie is a gourmet waffle cafe that serves up delicious chicken sandwiches. The Original, Nashville-Style, and Buffalo Bleu options come with fries and desserts. All the chicken is marinated in buttermilk for extra flavor. The exterior is fried until crispy, while the inside remains moist.
I was so stoked to find a Bruxie! I hadn't been to one since they had a location in Las Vegas! It's so chill in here, they have indoor and outdoor seating and it's a great street to sit outside! The gentleman working the counter was SO kind to us on Friday 3/21/25. He let us take our time, explained the menu and told us some of his favs. We ordered WAY too much food! My son ordered the traditional chicken and waffles and he had a hard time eating it all! The texture of the waffle looked amazing and they gave us lots of extra syrup! I ordered the Holy Chicken! Maple Glazed Chicken, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Cheddar, Sriracha Mayo, Sunny-Side Up Egg* YUM!!!! Hit this spot up for a relaxed meal!

My son and I ate here while doing some errands on the 3rd Street promenade, the service was pretty fast, that we had to ask for someone to clean a table to be able to sit down, it is set up as pretty much a fast food type eatery without much comfort or fanfare, but the food is generous and portion and served fresh! The ambience is pretty much the promenade and all of the passerby as would be expected for a restaurant in this location. I got a chicken tender meal, the nice thing is they do let you pick more than one flavor even though I only got three tenders which were about a third of a chicken breast each! Very large! The waffle fries it came with were very flavorful and crunchy-just the way I like them! My son got a large strawberry waffle which was packaged quite nicely for a to go order, and also very flavorful!

I had brunch at Bruxie and it was an amazing experience. I had the waffle with eggs and cheese — light, fluffy, and delicious — along with waffles topped with cream and maple syrup, which were perfectly sweet. For my kids, we ordered the chicken tenders and pops with waffle fries — everything was crispy, tasty, and fresh. Great spot for a fun and satisfying brunch!

Do yourself a favor and get a shake. Made with custard and deliciously thick requiring a spoon at first. A Must-Try Spot for Crispy Chicken and Gourmet Waffles! Bruxie is an absolute must-visit if you’re anywhere near the area and craving comfort food with a gourmet twist. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and the atmosphere was upbeat and casual—perfect for a quick bite or a fun meal with friends. Now let’s talk FOOD: The fried chicken is out of this world—crispy, juicy, and full of bold flavor. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and prepare everything fresh. I ordered the classic chicken and waffle sandwich, and it was honestly one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. The waffle is buttery, golden, and slightly sweet, which pairs perfectly with the savory chicken. I also tried their spicy honey drizzle and WOW—it took it to another level! Don’t skip the sides and sweets either! The waffle fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned, and the dessert waffle with Nutella and banana was the perfect sweet ending. Bruxie deserves ALL the stars. Great food, fast service, clean space, and unique menu options that will keep me coming back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for amazing chicken and waffles, comfort food, or just a fun place to eat! ✅ Family-friendly ✅ Fast casual dining ✅ Great for lunch, dinner, or late-night craving ✅ Plenty of parking in the parking deck ✅ Instagram-worthy meals!

The service is prompt, and the staff is friendly, ensuring an enjoyable dining experience.
My family and I go here at least once a month! It's a delicious waffle spot! When we have family visit us, they always want to go here. It's not a huge place, with kind of a crammed inside seating area, as well as some outside seating, and sometimes there is a small wait (if you go on a busy weekend morning). But totally worth it! Service is friendly and attentive. Food comes out quickly and everything is warm and fresh. They have a good amount of items on the menu, but we always end up getting waffles. The waffles are fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. There is also a cute wing painting on the side of the wall that is a waffle design, for taking pictures. Fun spot with great food. Worth going for some breakfast and, of course, waffles!

This place is a hidden gem! Perfect spot to grab a bite before a long day at Universal Studios. The food is fresh, flavorful, and very reasonably priced. The staff greets you with a warm welcome the moment you walk in — everyone is kind and genuinely attentive. A special shoutout to Jocelyn! I thought this place was alright. It's nothing special. Perhaps because we have tasted melted butter (very few restaurants make their butter this way) and hot syrup on our waffles 🧇. Also, the place was somewhat smaller than I'd imagined. On top of that, finding parking here can be a little bit of a hassle when the place gets crowded. However, the customer service was great, food was served pretty quickly and the waiters were friendly 💯. The food: - Waffles & Cajun Wings 🧇🍗 (6/10): The waffles we got were too crispy (some people probably prefer this). We love our waffles to be a little chewy. What really disappointed me was their chicken wings. These were very salty and the meat was dry. - Waffle Combo 🍳🌭🥓 (1/2 waffle) (7/10): The eggs and the bacon for this dish saved it. They were delicious and the eggs were a little wet (which improved the taste 👍🏻). I didn't like their sausage because, again, they were too salty for our liking. Finally, the pricing was a bit more expensive than I had expected. For the same type of dish, we were paying $3 less for each dish in our favorite brunch place in West LA. Overall, if you live close by, you can try it out, perhaps you will end up enjoying it more than I did since everyone's taste-buds are different. However, if you have to drive for more than 30 minutes just to get there, you are better off going somewhere else for your waffles needs 🫠.

& Waffles delivered a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. We tried the Cajun chicken and waffles, and it was a standout dish—crispy, well-seasoned chicken paired perfectly with fluffy waffles and just the right amount of heat from the Cajun spices. The balance of sweet and savory made every bite satisfying. We also ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito, which was equally impressive. It was generously filled and packed with flavor, with the chorizo adding a smoky, spicy kick that complemented the eggs and cheese beautifully. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the portions were very satisfying. What really set the experience apart, though, was the service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Everything arrived promptly and just as we ordered. Overall, & Waffles is a spot we’ll definitely be returning to for both the food and the excellent hospitality.

PHENOMENAL BREAKFAST. BEST CHICKEN FRIED STEAK!!!! BEST WAFFLES. Real potatoes! I have very high standards for food. It needs to be high quality ingredients and taste amazing. I don’t usually like breakfast food, but this was seriously the best breakfast I have ever eaten out. Service was also amazing! Even with it being super busy, they got us seated pretty quick and food didn’t take long. Oh and the chicken fried steak was pre-cut up!!! The gravy was soo good. I wish I lived in the area because I would go there regularly. Definitely one of those little hole in the wall local delights! Don’t think twice to try this place out. Hungry Fox is a charming breakfast and lunch spot with a cozy atmosphere and American classics infused with Thai flavors. The family-owned restaurant, originally established in 1940 and rebuilt after a fire in 1990, offers a diverse menu featuring various options such as waffles, pancakes, eggs, omelettes, bagels with lox and cream cheese, chicken and waffles, and matzo brie. This place is one of the best family restaurants in the middle of San Fernando Valley, run by good folks who have plenty of seating for singles, couples and families. We had the following: Sweet Dream French Toast with scrambled eggs and sausage; Chicken & Waffle combo; Eggs Benedict; Grilled Cheese Sandwich. All plates were very satisfying and wholesome. Many thanks to the owners, chefs and other staff members for providing a wonderful dining experience.

The waffles are great. I just put butter on mine, they are so good, they don't need anything else. Their skirt steak and eggs are always a hit with my husband and my grandson loves their omelets. He loves that they are not cheap with the avocado. Their sandwiches are also super. Their turkey sandwich and Greek Gyro are so tasty and you can get it with a side of really good and fresh Cole slaw. Whatever you decide will be good. You will love this adorable place with its green outside. It has a counter and booths.

I had breakfast at Hungry Fox, and it was fantastic! The food was fresh, flavorful, and served with care. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service was attentive and friendly. Every bite felt like a perfect start to the day. I’ll definitely be coming back for more! Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great breakfast experience.

Absolutely love this spot, never fails to be awesome. Ordered their classic chicken and Waffles (tried&true favorite) and their new Chilaquiles (which had a generous amount of tortilla chips.) For the first time, it was too much food! Usually, it's the perfect portion that won't sit heavy on my tummy or on my wallet, but this time, I'm a bit lethargic after the meal.

Definitely not the best chicken and waffles. Overall, I thought the flavor was OK but when I was handed a menu, it was extremely dirty, which was a huge turn off to just sitting down on the place clean your menus people geez. My chicken and waffles ended up being like about $29 worth of tip which I thought was basically ridiculous. This is kind of also in a bad neighborhood and I didn’t seem to have parking as I caught a right chair to get there. I don’t know. I think it might be worth a try, but I personally probably won’t be coming back.

I ordered the Mexican Omelette. It was more like scrambled eggs with onions and green bell peppers. Cilantro was missing. One piece of toast instead of two. It tasted like white instead of Sourdough. I went here many years ago. I’m disappointed. A server dropped a plastic lid with sauce on the ground and didn’t pick it up. Expensive prices.

A seriously good Asian diner in North Hollywood. I say Asian because the entire front house staff is and they have many different Asian options and flavors on the menu, which is a total unique change from the traditional diners all around LA, which is one of my favorite parts of this place. I also appreciated how clean and organized it was inside. There is a medium-sized parking lot attached for free parking and it’s indoor seating only. The restaurant itself is not very large so there may be a wait during especially busy times. The whole staff was very polite and my server was very attentive. Everything I ordered came out really fast as well. Being that they have a lot of different Asian flavors I went with a totally different breakfast dish for myself this time and chose the Loco Moco. I had not had that in quite a while and it was a wonderful reminder of how good that dish is. I also ordered a side of buttermilk biscuits, and although the biscuits are not traditional southern flaky buttermilk biscuits, they more taste like scones, I still enjoyed them. Pricing is also very fair and overall it was a really nice meal. I would recommend to anyone searching for a good diner or a great casual breakfast or lunch option.

This place was packed when I got here so it took about 5-10 minutes to be seated. Eddie the server is always cool and service is excellent. Food came out fast despite being busy on a Sunday morning. Food is always delicious, Coffie and service are excellent. Portions are just right. Not too little, not too much.

Johnny Rockets offers a retro dining experience with its classic burgers, shakes, and fries. The international chain recently introduced a limited-time Fried Chicken and Waffle Sandwich made with Eggo Waffle buns, crispy chicken strips, bacon, and sweet syrup drizzle. Vegetarians can enjoy Impossible Burgers while others savor the traditional diner-style sloppy burgers. The fast service and friendly staff make it an ideal spot for a quick bite before catching a show or during a shopping trip at the mall.
This diner is located inside the mall by the Dolby Theatre. Super convenient parking in the structure, and they validate, which is a nice bonus. We really enjoyed the burgers and fries—everything was fresh and tasty we could watch them making our burgers as the kitchen is open. Service was friendly and efficient, and there were plenty of tables available when we got there. Great spot for a casual meal in the area!

Johnny Rockets actually was found in City of Los Angeles and the theme was the American 1950s diner style. The restaurant chain were very popular in the past days but it is going down popularity in recent years. This current location is at the Hollywood & Highland shopping center where many tourists visited Hollywood Walk of Fames. Business was good when they first opened the door in 2001. I always like the traditional style tasted burgers and French fries. It would be one of my first picks when I visit Hollywood. If you have never been there please put on your dining lists. I would give a four stars for their food and service.

I find this place accidentally while I’m was hungry before my event in Ovation. We came here with my friend and I’m ordered onion rings and bacon cheese fries. I wasn’t able to eat it in full, because portion were great and bring it with me. After a while I forgot my food bag somewhere and decided to come back again and order same things🤣 I’m missed it a lot. So I’m writing this review while eating here same order, haha. Never tried burgers here, but fries and rings here AMAZING.

My family and I traveled from Brazil to California and on October 5, 2025, we had dinner at Johnny Rockets in Hollywood. It was an incredible experience, starting with the waiter, the atmosphere, the food, the drinks, and the beautiful restaurant. Great atmosphere, good food, and top-notch service! Even at more expensive places, we haven't had such good service. I recommend everyone visit this charming restaurant in the heart of Hollywood, next to the Lowes Hotel. Thank you!

Del Frisco’s Grille is a popular steakhouse chain that features creative and unexpected flavors in its menu. The restaurant overlooks Santa Monica Pier, which makes it an ideal spot for a relaxing evening out. The steakhouse is known for its lively atmosphere and delicious food.
We stopped in for happy hour and dinner. Came away thoroughly impressed with the food, drinks and service. Found out happy hour is only at the bar seating. But you can still order from the full menu. I had the wedge salad and it has to be one of the best I have had. The blue cheese was phenomenal. All of the ingredients were fresh and the food came out amazingly quick. We also ordered some appetizers. Had cheese curds, ahi tuna tacos and cheesesteak egg rolls. We also had their old fashioned, grill margarita and Moscow mule. The bartenders are very good and know how to create amazing cocktails. If you are near the Santa Monica Pier, this is a great place to stop and relax with some great food and drinks.

Went here for brunch, first time at restaurant. Nice spacious restaurant, Saturday mid afternoon not very busy. See pictures for menu items. We got two steak and fries, one chicken fingers and fries, and one 1/2 chicken entrees. My grandson got to 1/2 chicken and thought it was great. My granddaughter got the chicken fingers and fries and thought it was OK. My son got sirloin steak and fries and said it was good. I got sirloin(medium well) and sweet potato fries. my sweet potatoes came hot right out of the frying pan, the steak was good, but not as hot as the sweet potato fries.

The Philly eggrolls are so good that I had to order another. Truffle Mac was delicious, not too overpowering as truffle can be for me. Ribeye was one of the best I've had in a while, and we ribeye often. Rose Paloma was pretty good as well. Lemon cake wasn't my favorite.
Marquita D — Google review
Our server, Alexis, was awesome. She gave some good suggestions to try and she made sure we enjoyed our experience. I’m not sure if being our own bartenders during a pandemic allowed us to enjoy our alcoholic beverages more but these restaurants seem to put a splash of alcohol and the cost of the item is still a lot. None of the drinks we tried were memorable but I did like the sangria. It tasted better once the home made popsicle melted and all the ingredients mixed together. The crispy artichokes were lightly fried and a good texture. The truffle Mac & cheese was very creamy and not your traditional Mac and cheese. The Brussels sprouts were good especially with the bacon. I enjoyed the chicken, mashed potatoes and carrots. It was a-little salty drenched in butter but it was a delicious meal.

Nice ambiance, great service and food is really good. We went on Saturday brunch. They had a lot of delicious selections. I have fish & chips and my wife had chicken fried steak and it was delicious. We also had a carafe of bloody mary and a white sangria. Both drinks were just perfect and it only cost $21/carafe. How great it that. Our server Guillermo was very attentive and service was spot on.

Service was incredible. The food was a little pricey , but overall it was pretty good. we were pleasantly surprised by the tuna tacos. The tuna was tender with a mild kick of spice, and complimented the crispy taco shell. Overall, this is a must try for friends!

Prices are definitely steep here but if you want top quality food and fine cuts of meat this is definitely your spot. Very crowded in the heart of Santa Monica so make sure you have reservations or be prepared to wait or have a backup restaurant in mind. My pictures don’t do the food justice but the flavors of meat, and recipes are rich and occasionally worth to treat yourself every now and then. Service was also high caliber here. The server that attended to us at 8pm wed August 23 at the farthest booth on the right near the kitchen was outstanding. Sorry I’m horrible with names. Haven’t been to all the restaurants In Santa Monica but I would definitely say out of many of them this is one of the best. Local fresh great quality and gourmet dishes with some of the best service and atmosphere in Santa Monica, what is more to ask for?

Chicken restaurant
Brunch restaurant
Soul food restaurant
Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles is a classic soul food joint that serves up some of the best chicken and waffles in Hollywood. The restaurant has a casual vibe and is frequented by celebrities and Obama, who famously enjoyed their fried chicken and waffles in 2011.
This has been around for decades! The chicken has always remained constant and the waffles, golden brown please! It’s been a part of Hollywood and a must go to for visitors. Plenty of options from greens, yams, corn bread, giblets (which I love with lemon and hot sauce), omelets, fries, potato salad, omelets and sweet potato (nata) pie to name a bunch! I first came to Roscoe’s, the small original side in 1990’s and never stopped coming in when I can. It’s such a consistent experience that whenever you have a taste for it the taste will be satisfied as you remembered it. The staff is a loyal team, friendly team and some have been there since the 1990s and like myself haven’t aged a bit :). Now I have to say it’s not the cheapest chicken or waffles in town. But it’s a staple experience that only hurts the wallet at checkout but satisfies the stomach every time you think about it. Check out the swag on the way out if you’re just visiting. Purchase a t-shirt or hat and I guarantee people are gonna want to talk to you about it! Going Back to Cali for Roscoe’s is a rally cry folks.

First time here and overall, pretty solid experience! My girlfriend went with the chicken thigh & waffles and I had the chicken strips & waffles both were really good. The waffles leaned a little too sweet for me, but hey, still tasty. The chicken? Absolute star of the show. Juicy, flavorful. Just wish the portion size was a little bigger. We added cornbread and mac & cheese on the side. Mac & cheese delicious, creamy, no notes. Cornbread… well, let’s just say I really wanted to like it, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype in my head. The vibe was super chill, maybe too chill since it was just us and one other guest. Customer service was a bit hit-or-miss. The guy who greeted us? Awesome energy, super welcoming. Our waitress, on the other hand, seemed like she’d rather be anywhere else and honestly, can’t blame her, it was a beautiful day outside. Still, a little extra warmth would’ve matched the food better. All in all: great chicken, cozy vibe, and some small areas for improvement. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving chicken and waffles done right!

Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles is a soul food institution that delivers comfort with every bite. The signature combo crispy, golden fried chicken paired with fluffy, slightly sweet waffles is iconic for a reason. The seasoning on the chicken is bold and savory, while the waffles offer a warm, buttery contrast that somehow makes perfect sense. The vibe is laid back and nostalgic, with walls that echo decades of history and celebrity visits. Service is friendly, portions are generous, and the experience feels like a warm hug from LA’s culinary past. First time visiting the iconic Rosco’s Chicken and Waffle 🧇 🍗 We arrived at 10:30AM, and got lucky with a parking spot right in-front. We were three people and were sat right away. I had the one chicken piece with one waffle and banana pudding. It not just hype, the chicken is delicious, it was Crispy and Juicy, I was for my waffle crispy. Also had the banana pudding, I love the little chunks of waffle in it. 🍌

Loved this place! The chicken and waffles were to die for, and the syrup was oh so sweet! The tenders were crispy and juicy and the coleslaw was delicious! Loved the vibe, the service was excellent and food came out fast! Stable and a must stop if you’re by a location!

I had the gravy chicken and waffles. The gravy flavor reminded me of country fried steak. The food was very fresh and hot when severed. The waffles were very fluffy and delicious.

Well finally tried this place that people kept telling me about, I honestly had high hopes for this chicken and waffles, unfortunately it's ok not good or great for me at least. The other people that was with me had the same feelings about it. Corn bread was good, service was excellent, chicken was alright not juicy kinda dry and the waffles was meh. I probably won't come back but I'll give it one try and hopefully I'll have a better experience.

Man me and my family came to this location after our trip to Disneyland before we drove back home 3 weeks ago. There was a waitress there that was awesome. She literally went out in traffic to save us a parking spot. Lol after that she was our waitress while we were there and she was just as awesome at that as well, her name was Delphine and our next trip out there we will go to this location again. Nice, clean, and a great atmosphere. Thank you Delphine!!!

I will dream of the potatoes we ate here for the rest of my life and beyond. Came with friends for DineLa and ordered everything on the menu. Not a single bad bite but the potatoes were the stand out. Desserts were not too sweet on a good way. Good bar program. Som came and helped us with our wine choices. Serving was familiar and casual but knowledgeable. Pacing was a little off switch a few previous course items left on table while next course was served but it was a fun, fancy tavern vibe.

Lovely ambiance in the courtyard! Tapas style French food that has a comfy yet elevated touch. The fingerling potatoes are a delicious cheesy mess that was creamy yet light. Highlight of the night! Came here with two friends for Dine LA! First time being here. It was great. The food is so tasty, the chicken was juicy even though it was breaded. The portions are large, even though they may appear small. The wait staff are very attentive. Overall, it was a seamless experience with great food, ambient lighting and a cute outdoor porch area. Great date night place as well. I don’t drink alcohol however they do have an array of cocktails and a very extensive wine list.

We enjoyed a nice dinner during our visit to LA. The focaccia was delicious and had a perfect crust. I ordered the fried chicken and it was so tender and juicy. The portion sizes are smaller and meant for sharing. We ended up being quite full after our meal. The food was very good, but didn’t blow us away. All very simple and fresh, so can’t complain! The restaurant itself is very nice and great for a nice dinner.

The Tasting Kitchen is a popular Mediterranean restaurant located in Abbot Kinney. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience with its three- or five-course family-style tasting menu, which is customized for each table. The ever-changing menu features innovative and Mediterranean-influenced dishes such as tagliarini with shrimp and serrano, and roasted branzino with varying toppings.
Went there on a Wednesday night and it was packed. The drawing on chalk is interesting and should definitely give it a read. There is no menu for diner and the chef will decide what to cook and customize the proportion for each table. The ribs are my favorite and they are tender with rich flavour, they don’t taste dry or greasy, which is a perfect balance. People also like the steak which was tender. The chocolate pie at the end was smooth and not so sweet, which is my personal preference. The drinks were too strong in alcohol which didn’t undermine the overall performance of the meal. It could get chilly if you sit outdoor but they have heaters provided. Will definitely go again for diner.

Cool restaurant/ bar in Venice, drinks are superb but the food didn’t meet our expectations. I had heard everything is super tasty but in fact the portions were rather small and some of the food items were bland. They all look great but not as yummy as we thought. The tasting menu is a surprise and you don’t know what you get so if you don’t like food surprises like me, you are limited to the à la carte option that isn’t much. The Branzino and calamari were ok, the lamb sausage was too fatty and the steaks were small. The deserts were ok. Last but not least, bread and butter cost 4.50$ which is very unusual for the US. The atmosphere and ambiance is great and the staff is friendly.

Great location, wonderful setting and wine list. The food is good but beware that vegan options are VERY limited - only two items could be adapted on the menu, apart from sides. None of the pasta dishes can be made vegan which was disappointing. Overall a good experience and not crazy expensive for the ambiance.

At first I wasn’t sure what to make of this place I found the menu confusing. However our server soon cleared this up for us he spoke with such enthusiasm that we both opted for the 3 course tasting menu. We were not disappointed, it was surprisingly impressive and great value for money. We had three starters brought out to us, which were all really nice then we had three main course dishes. Finally dessert, I think was the nicest dessert I have ever had. I would highly recommend visiting here and trying the tasting menu. There was more than enough food for the two of us, both being foodies we absolutely loved the thrill of not knowing what we were going to get until it came to the table. Very exciting!

This place was suggested by a friend as a spot with the best menu in the area. The menu disappointed - almost no decent appetizers to share, a few types of pasta as small and main dishes. So for a person who doesn't like pasta (yes, such people exist!) there was nothing to eat. And on the top they were out of mussels.

Home Restaurant in Los Feliz offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, serving up generous portions of comfort food and a variety of cocktails on its spacious heated patio. The menu features classic American dishes like steak, fish, mac n cheese, and homestyle fries for dinner, as well as an indulgent bottomless brunch with options ranging from pancakes to egg turmeric tofu scrambles. The large patio is adorned with twinkling lights and surrounded by trees, creating the perfect setting for socializing with friends.
What a beautiful spot and such a pleasant surprise for an afternoon brunch. We were seated right away for our patio reservation and welcomed with great service. The food portions, quality and pricing were exactly what you'd expect in the neighborhood. My partner and I had the steak and eggs and the chicken sandwich, and both were solid choices. The only miss was the iced coffee, which came out extremely watered down and closer in color to iced tea. Still, this is a great place to bring both locals and out-of-town friends when you want a relaxing break from the city.

The restaurant provides an informal and welcoming atmosphere for guests to enjoy their meals. While some visitors experienced longer wait times between service, the food received high praise for its quality and taste. The outdoor seating area was noted for its charm, although it was occasionally disrupted by flies. Guests particularly enjoyed the cinnamon bun latte and exceptional coffee offerings.
Stopped here for breakfast on my way out of town and I’m so glad I did. The cinnamon bun latte was amazing — it even prompted my mother to try to recreate it once we got back home (unsuccessfully). Beautiful decor, a delicious benedict and lovely atmosphere. Would recommend!

The food was pretty good. I ordered the shrimp tacos & mac n cheese. Only critique is that the food needed salt, especially the mac n cheese since the cheeses they're using doesn't have a salt content. Fast food restaurant
Hamburger restaurant
This trendy and popular fast food restaurant is known for its delicious burgers, specialty sandwiches, and craft beers. The atmosphere is retro with a hip touch, and the delivery options are great.
The Oinkster is ultimately so swine! Stopped in for shakes and saw the various sandwiches, beer and wine available. Impressed by the staff and quality of ingredients and taste. The Ube shakes are hands down our favorite and are large enough to split. The Oinkster pastrami sandwich is deliciously smoked and seasoned to perfection. To say it's large is an understatement and can split to satiate the pickiest of carnivores. Overheard kids raving about the burger and fries so I'll have to save that for another trip to LA.

Slow fast food? More like full-speed flavor. The Oinkster absolutely hit my cravings out of the park — my pulled pork sandwich was juicy, tender, and Carolina-sauced perfection, and my partner’s grilled chicken sandwich packed big-time flavor from top to bottom. The fries? Two types of crispiness: classic Belgian beauties and over-the-top piggy fries smothered in cheese, onions, and creamy sauce — both dipped in their addictive house ketchup. Everything just delivered exactly what it promised — no frills, all flavor. One bite in and you’ll know this is Eagle Rock comfort food done

Fun, old fashioned burger spot. I had the classic and my wife got the veggie classic and they were both excellent. Top quality meat, buns and crisp veggies. Ordered fries, drink and a side Ceasar salad

I really wanted to love this place, especially after having wanted to check it out for years, but... I had one of the cheaper meals with a pulled pork sandwhich, fries and a drink. The drink was small, the fries weren't very seasoned and sandwhich were nothing to write home about either. I really had high hopes for the Sammy, but it didn't have a good smoky flavor to it, was somewhat dry and the sauce that came with it didn't really do anything. I opted for the house ketchup, which was better than regular ketchup, but not by much. I would have opted for the other sauces, but they charged a dollar for each, which is ridiculous if you are already paying $20+ minimum for a meal. I will give it another try and adjust the rating, if it is worthy, but I am honestly not eager to go back and take a $25/person chance.

My bacon burger was delicious. The Ube shake was tasty, creamy and not too sweet. We will definitely visit again to try other items on the menu.

Went for a #MotoSocial meetup and the place is still as good as I remember. The burgers and pastrami are delicious. The fries are crispy and well seasoned. Plenty of parking and reasonable prices.

This was a place I came across on YouTube years ago. The problem was there is only one and never had the opportunity to check it. I was leaving Universal City late and had this small window of opportunity since they close at 9pm. Arrived 20 minutes before close and the staff was still welcoming. Since I knew about this place through social media, I ordered the pastrami(which for the record is $20) with fries and Oinsterade. First thing I noticed was how enormous the pastrami was. Dont get me, I came in with an appetite but I feel it can feed two people. Regardless, the sandwich lived up to my hype. Very appetizing(didnt finish), wasn't soggy or bland. Oinsterade was very refreshing and flavorful. Went another time on my travel down from northern Cal and ordered one of their craft burgers. Talk about sweeping In-N-Out and Tommy's World Famous. Juicy patty and flavorful burger. Worth getting that again along with the Oinsterade! They sell merch too but just showed up for the food.

Overall a really tasty cheat meal option in Eagle Rock. They have been open for many years and have served many hungry diners. They specialize in pastrami, but also have burgers, shakes, and chicken. You can dine in, but most choose to do takeout. There are about five parking spaces, otherwise it will be street parking. It’s a 4/5 for me because there are many other burger places I enjoy more, there are other deli options that I would prefer to get pastrami from, however I would definitely return to try other dishes. Tonight we tried the Oinkster Pastrami, which was very good, although I like my pastrami a little, more seasoned and crispier. It comes on a French roll as well, and not like the usual rye or other types of bread it is typically served with. We also ordered the 1/3lb Burger and it was very good, although I would not call it a unique burger, and there are many others around LA I prefer more. We also tried the Cluckster with cheese added and that was my favorite of all the things we ordered. I would definitely go there again for that sandwich specifically. The Chili Cheese Fries are also worth ordering and we’re probably my second favorite thing that we ordered. Overall a really great cheat meal, although each of the items we ordered have better versions from other places around LA.

Yikes! The breakfast burrito is not it. Taste artificial somehow 🙃 the tortilla is very thick and weird. The ingredients are flavorless and lack seasoning. Giving me nostalgia as if I were to be eating middle school cafeteria lunch.

Attentive staff and quick service. Food is what it is, nothing to call home and regale your mama with tales of the most delicious dishes ever, but solid breakfast one expects from IHOP. I’d like to send a special shoutout to the manager at this location because it’s clear they take pride in the business. The floor and tables were clean and the staff was pleasant; these are things that start at the top and I’m grateful for well-run establishments in my community. Salute to the servers, hosts and cooks for a job well done.

Stumbled on this spot when I was in Downtown LA for an appointment and decided to stop by cos I had been craving waffles for a couple of days. I ordered the Original buttermilk waffles (3 stack cos I couldn’t finish 5 stacks) - $8.9 and the delicious vanilla flavored milkshake 😌- $8.99

Came here on 09/24/25 it has been 7 years since the last time I ate at this IHop and probably my last time. I had given it a 5 stars at that time but I had to change it. I waited for 10 minutes to be seated and it wasn't even crowded 😩 my waiter( Youssef) came and toke my order which I was excited because of ordering my first 55+ breakfast. Waited another 20- 25 minutes for food to come which I ordered the 55+ sampler. 1 pancake 1 egg 1 ham 1 bacon 1 sausage and red potatoes. I had to ask for strawberry syrup which toke another 20 minutes to get which I asked for warm maple syrup and received bubbling hot strawberry syrup which was ok at that point because my pancake had gotten cold. The potatoes looked as if they were threw on the plate was scared to asks for extra napkins because of the wait time. The waiter( Youssef) never came back to asks if everything were ok or if I needed anything else but I received my check pretty fast but had to wait again to pay. If I wasn't honest I could have walked out. When the waiter ( Youssef) finally came he literally tried to tip himself 20 % on the paying pad and asked me to sign as if I didn't notice and I politely removed the tip! ( That's stealing you know Youssef) After all that waiting and bad service in a none crowded restaurant you tried to tip yourself and not allow me to give you a tip yeah watch them here when paying!!!

Plan Check Kitchen + Bar is a popular New American restaurant with an industrial ambiance, offering innovative comfort food, craft beers, and cocktails. With multiple locations across Los Angeles, including West LA and Santa Monica, this establishment has gained recognition for its elevated take on traditional dishes.
Yelped this place for “good burgers” years ago. Love the decor, inside or patio (kinda avoid patio given heat and plastic covering lately, maybe when winter comes)… staff’s friendly. Some very helpful and go the extra mile. Used to get the Blueprint (blue cheese, bacon), but now go-to is double cheeseburger (w/o spread for me… their answer to In-N-Out double double). I even eat their ketchup with the fries, and I’m not a fan of ketchup; gf said it’s a bit sweet. But I’ve had their kale salad, chili cheese fries, onion rings, special burgers like pineapple bbq burger (great!), fried chicken sandwiches, used to get Buffalo Cauliflower a lot (only place I’ve had it… usually I’m full after burger tho), sliders, and their drinks are great. Even had the cruller donuts once heh. Never disappointed.

This had been my first time visiting Plan Check Kitchen in a few years. I noticed a lot had changed. We visited for a Saturday brunch. Surprisingly, there had only been about five people in the restaurant , with us being the only ones dining outdoors. It did start to pick up as we were leaving. Food and Beverage: Plan Check offers an unlimited Mimosa brunch. If you plan on having more than one Mimosa during your visit, I would suggest going with this option. It’ll be much more cost efficient. In my opinion, the food wasn’t as tasty as my past experiences. We started off with the buffalo cauliflower. This is a great vegan option. It’ll taste even better with ranch or blue cheese dressing. Although the waffles were appetizing, they weren’t soft. However, for some, that might be a good thing. The chicken was much better. The French toast was the least tasteful. It was bland and the bananas that they were topped with had no flavor. Billing: Like most restaurants, Plan Check uses the handheld device to take payment. Overall, this is still a good eatery. I preferred the location on Wilshire that closed years ago, but this one isn’t too far behind in regard to service and indoor ambience. This is a place that you can visit while casually catching up with friends or a quick bite with coworkers.

Came here for dinner on a Sunday evening around 6pm and was able to get a table for 3 almost immediately. Street parking nearby wasn’t too hard to find, and the meters are free on Sundays. We shared the Bavarian pretzels to start, which come with queso dip and mustard spread. The pretzels were excellent - beautifully browned and crisp on the exterior, while wonderfully soft and chewy on the inside. The queso dip was alright - nothing too special - but the mustard spread was delightful. I got the Machismo burger with sweet potato waffle fries (free upgrade from regular fries at the time since they were out of regular fries). This was one of the better burgers I’ve had in quite some time. The beef patty was juicy and had a good thickness to it, and I loved the crispy texture added by the fried onions. The bite of the jalapeños, chewiness of the bacon, and meltiness of the cheese all worked together really well to round out all the textures and flavors. The “crunch” bun was really fascinating - I’d never had anything like it, and I thought it was the perfect vessel for the burger. I also really enjoyed the sweet potato waffle fries - light and crispy outside with a soft and tender interior. The house-made ketchup was delicious with them, much more tomato-forward than your standard ketchup. While the food is a bit on the pricey side, I think it was well worth it, and I’d definitely come again to try out some other dishes!

They are a good restaurant with a kick of flavour in their dishes :) We liked their simple food, but the kicks of flavor may not be for everyone! Some of the dish we have is deff. a star (try their chef's favourite burger)! We tried 3 of their menus, all of them were so flavourful. I wish they have room to balance it (the mashed potatoes was awesomely good). Anyways, the place is great for casual dining and a good conversation with friends! The servers and cooks are all friendly

Cute neighborhood spot with outdoor covered patio, dog-friendly. They have cocktails and tea and finger foods, we usually bring our computers and work here with our dog occasionally. People are very nice, vegetarian items are limited. Outdoor patio is heated. This is right down the street from some pretty amazing Asian restaurant and bakeries. We usually park right in front of this restaurant. Some parts of this area seem slightly run down so I prefer visiting in the afternoon and not night.

Donut shop
Breakfast restaurant
DK's Donuts & Bakery in Santa Monica is a bakery that stands out for its innovative and daring menu. The bakery offers a variety of unique creations, such as waffle-donut hybrids and donut sandwiches, which have gained widespread popularity. Customers often line up outside the bakery to sample their unconventional treats.
4 assorted donuts / 1 glazed, 1 reese peanut butter, 1 cinnamon sugar o-nut (cronut), 1 nutella strawberry o-nut - 5 ⭐! DK's Donut & Bakery in Santa Monica is an excellent, family-owned 24-hour donut shop and cafe that has been in business for over forty years. They have a mouth-watering selection of fresh donuts, including an impressive assortment of cronut inspired donuts. Their little shop is in a small strip mall in Santa Monica. I had no trouble finding parking right outfront. The shop has a colorful, pink-focused theme. They had an outstanding selection of donuts on display in their glass cases as well as a nice, large menu board offering up all kinds of snacks, drinks, and sandwiches. The four donuts I sampled on my visit to DK's were fantastic. It was honestly a very hard decision. I had to limit myself to four because when I buy donuts, I have very little self control and know I am going to eat them all the same day. Besides, donuts are always best when they are fresh. The strawberry nutella cronut style donut was amazing. Lots of rich, hazelnut spread flavor mixed with strawberry. The plain glazed donut was top notch. I always try to get a plain glaze and use it as a baseline. A great plain glaze donut is always a treat for me. The cinnamon sugar cronut and the peanut butter cup donut were also great. I know there are other "DK" donut places out there. This one is a real treat and I think it is the OG one. If you are in Santa Monica or are passing by, make sure you stop by and support a great local business!

An absolutely beautiful and (mostly) yummy selection of donuts that will both amaze your eyes and make your stomach happy. We chose a dozen of some of the most interesting and fun donuts either of us have had and while almost all were amazing, there were a few that were more style over substance which isn’t that surprising. Service was good and helpful and prices were a bit high but worth the quality. The parking lot is a little rough to get a space and we were blocked in while trying to leave while someone else double parked so just be aware!
Reed B — Google review
When I asked the owner what one of his donuts tasted like and if he thought it was good, he replied and said "I don't eat donuts. I just make them." A cook who won't eat his own food and offer feedback is a cook I don't trust. The oils and flavoring have a very peculiar taste that I did not enjoy at all. I actually thought that the donuts at 7-Eleven next door tasted much better.
CHAD — Google review
I mean I’m not sure why there’s even an option to rate service since no one goes to a donut shop for that but okay. Anyway I’ll have to call Gen and Eric out for this review since the donuts tasted like them. Actually, generic is a generous review. I was actually very disappointed. The donut part itself didn’t have a good flavor and honestly reminded me of notebook paper (and yes I have). I gave it two stars for still being edible.
Dojo J — Google review
Amazing donuts, amazing breakfast options, and amazing coffee! The service here is outstanding, friendly and quick. The donut selection can be so unique but every bit as delicious as an old fashion donut! I recommend trying anything that catches your eye as you won't be disappointed! They have so many breakfast options from croissant sandwiches, to bagel sandwiches and even breakfast burritos. My personal favorite is the Max special bagel sandwich. If your in the area, stop by and treat yourself.

Nice establishment. Staff is nice. First time here. Donuts are okay but I was really disappointed with the Ube donut. It didn’t have a strong Ube flavor. The double dipped chocolate donut was very chocolaty but I was hoping for a double dip in the chocolate glaze. I might come back and try other flavors but they don’t have any orange flavor.. just orange creamsicle. I like orange without the creamsicle. Worth another look.

**Edit: I contacted the shop on Friday for 2x 10 by 10 Texas sized donut for pick on Saturday. Super last minute I know but I was blown away by the customer service and I already knew the donuts were going to be fire. I literally only agreed to a little birthday lunch just so I can have the Texas size donuts as my cake....We will never go back to traditional cakes** This place was worth every single mile I drove from Santa Clarita. Had this place on my food bucket list and was going to be in the area so I made the spot and it did not disappoint. Got 1x maple bacon 1x salted caramel bacon 1x double dipped old fashion, 1x dk house cream (amazing) 1x stuffed vanilla cream. I ate every single bite. The salted caramel and the housing cream one is the reason I am making another trip out there Sunday.

We were there weekday 11am and there were no lines and ample seating. It took about 10 minutes to get our food, and we enjoyed a walking around with our buzzer in hand. We got the Nordique (smoked salmon), Popeye (spinach goat cheese), and chicken wrap (came with a small side salad) savory buckwheat crepes, and the banana/strawberry/Nutella sweet crepe, all of which were delicious. A bit pricy but the portions were pretty filling shared between 3 adults and 1 child. Recommended and plan to come back again. They validate Farmer’s Market parking for up to 90 minutes.

Quick and easy ordering of food. Authentic crepes and high quality. Prices are around the market price for crepes. The sweet crepes are a $1-$2 above the market/average pricing. If you plan to get a savory & sweet crepes- it will be at least $22 (w/o tax). But they close at 9 pm- not 10 pm.

Wow, what a culinary delight! I stopped by The French Crepe and ordered the Nutella strawberries and banana crepe, and it was absolutely amazing! Big shout out to Elvis, the friendly and skilled crepe master who made my dish. His enthusiasm and passion for crepes are contagious! The French Crepe is a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of France in LA. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, and the service is top-notch. I can't wait to come back and try more flavors! Excellent crepes, both sweet and savory. A savory crepe has lots of choices of filling. The French Crepe Company is located in the Farmers Market at 3rd and Fairfax. So it's outdoor dining but protected from the wind. An excellent quality during an upsurge in the pandemic. This place was closed when I first arrived in Los Angeles a little over a month ago, but it's open now. They seem to have changed their business plan a bit. The savory crepes no longer come with a salad. Otherwise the crepes are still delicious. I highly recommend the French Crepe Company. A side note: Google just sent me an email that I have 107 followers. I'm not sure why anyone would want to follow a Local Guide, but thanks for following me, I guess. If you'd be so kind as to mark those of my reviews that you think are helpful as helpful at the bottom of the review, that would be nice. I'm not sure what it would do, if anything, but Google keeps track of the number of people who think my reviews are helpful, and if I see the numbers go up after I post this review, it'll tell me that some of my followers read my reviews to the end.

Howlin' Ray's Hot Chicken in Chinatown is a food truck that has gained fame for its Nashville-style hot fried chicken and flavorful sides. The chef, Howlin Rays Johnny Zone, is renowned for kickstarting the Nashville hot chicken trend in Los Angeles. The dedicated and energetic crew ensures that customers are served with high morale despite long lines. The craveable chicken sandwich offers an intense flavor and heat, providing a face-tingling euphoria.
I’ve been coming here for years, but this is my first time leaving a review—and it’s long overdue! Hands down, this is the best fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. I’m at a point in life where the medium heat is just right—flavorful with a kick, but still enjoyable. I tried the “hot” during the winter and it was a bit too intense, so choose your spice level wisely! Everything on the menu hits—from the tenders to the wings—and you have to try the comeback sauce. To top it all off, the service is consistently fantastic. Always a pleasure coming back!

These burgers are BIG! Photo does not do it justice size wise (I have huge hands). Get the dry age, worth the price. Best non-smash patty burger in the city! Hot dog was okay, not nearly as memorable as the burger. Fries were also good and large portion. Service is awesome, the ladies working during my visit were very nice and helpful.

I would give 100 stars 🌟 🤩 ✨️ if I could, we live 2 hrs away. When we are in town we have to stop by this place has exceeded my expectations. The staff goes above and beyond with hospitality. The customer care that radiates from this place should be in EVERY business the food is excellent the staff is AAAAAMMMAAAAZZZIIIINNNGG THIS is why I dont mind driving and going out of my way to eat here. Olive garden has nothing on them because when you are at Howlin Ray's you truly are family. We need a Howlin Ray's in Bakersfield. There is a.......... Dave's chicken Nashville Hot Chicken Angry Chicken But none of them are on the scale as Howlin Ray's yes you heard me right this is finger lickin goooood chicken and they have there own drinks no fountain drinks, they do have soda cans and there drinks sweet peach pink and white can lemonade yellow and white can. There are tables outside, the staff calls your # when your food is ready make sure to stop by the counter they have a yellowish treasure box with fun pins and stickers of Howlin Ray's. There is street parking you have to feed the meter. If you are ever in Chinatown don't forget to stop by and meet the staff they will make your day. OH!!! yes, I almost forgot 🤔 to mention and get some chicken strips or chicken sandwiches too 😋 😅 🙃

Howlin' Rays Hot Chicken is a decently good chicken sandwich place! I may not be the appropriate audience for this place as the chicken sandwich I got was good, but there was nothing "wow" about it. We were recommended this place by a friend of ours who lives in California as a must try spot. We stood in line for about 40 minutes and ordered the medium chicken sandwich, and the "secret" menu Mario fries. The sandwich was good, but as already mentioned, at no point did I think this was a sandwich I would stand in line for 40 minutes to get again. The Mario fries also weren't worth it in my opinion, though I did enjoy them more than the sandwich myself. Personally, I enjoyed the spicy Popeye's chicken sandwich more than the one I had out Howlin' Ray's. Kudos to the customer service though. From the cashier to every other individual you interact with, they are extremely friendly and they talk to you and seem to genuinely care. They also seem to give out some freebies which is super cool. We got to try all of the sauces they had for free (which were all delicious. My favorite being the honey mustard). Overall, if you are a fan of chicken sandwiches, try it out and you won't be disappointed. However, if you are like me and you are someone who eats chicken sandwiches occasionally, you probably will end up like me and question if standing in line this long was worth the wait. I would say no, unfortunately it was not worth the wait.

I was blown away by not only their food, but their service. They were awesome... for my bday they hooked me up with a delivery dessert, drink, sauce and everyone enjoyed what they were doing. Their sando was the best I've had and can't wait to go again.

Actually hot chicken!!! Was pleasantly surprised to see the hype was not exaggerated and that the spiciness is there. Cooked well where it was not overly crunchy but was nice and crispy. Also super nice staff. Honestly kinda scary how nice they were.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Melrose, Fratelli Cafe is a delightful European-style eatery that beckons brunch enthusiasts with its inviting atmosphere and diverse menu. Such a great brunch spot! My friends and I were visiting LA, and we’re so glad we decided to check this place out. The service was super quick – we got our food and drinks in less than 10 minutes after ordering, which was amazing. The food was honestly so good. We all tried different dishes, and everything was on point. Plus, the prices are really decent, which is always a win. Really wanted to point out the staff were so nice and friendly, they had the best vibes – they made the whole experience even better. If you’re in LA, this spot is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend!😍

Service is amazing. This place is setup that every employee is your server. No one shrugs when you ask a question or require assistance. You won't hear, let me get your server here.Food is flavorful. They have electronic and paper menus.Cool decor. Street parking only. Only 1 bathroom. The bathroom cleaning left a little to be desired. You need to make a reservation, as the place is always full of people. Waiter doesn't take your order at your table. You review the menu and order at the register. Seating is close proximity to other tables.

I had such a great experience at this restaurant! The service here is honestly amazing. What I really loved is that everyone working there is ready to help you—not just one assigned server. It’s set up so that any employee can assist you, and no one ever says, “Let me get your server.” It’s such a nice change! Every time I had a question or needed something, someone jumped right in with a smile. You can really feel that the whole team is working together to make sure you’re happy. The food was also really good! Every dish we tried was full of flavor—nothing bland or boring here. The menu is easy to browse, and I liked that they offer both electronic and paper versions, which is super convenient whether you want to scroll on a screen or flip through a classic menu. The decor is also pretty cool. The place has a fun, modern vibe but still feels comfortable and relaxed. It’s one of those places where you can enjoy both the food and the atmosphere. Overall, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out. Great food, awesome service, and a really nice setup that makes you feel taken care of the whole time. I’ll for sure be coming back!

We to Fratelli Café for brunch this weekend. After the breakfast crowd, before the lunch crowd. We were able to find parking across the street easily, but it could be difficult at busier times. There was no line and we were seated immediately. The host(?) explained how to order and where we would need to place the order. Basically, you get a menu and stand in a line to place the order when you are ready. The staff is very friendly and outgoing. As well as knowledgeable about the menu. The menu is varied from sweets to savory dishes. Waffles, French toast, etc to wagyu burgers and sandwiches. We ended up with a California omelet and the Huevos Rancheros. The omelet was what you would expect. Lots of fillings, not over cooked, and plenty of tasty potatoes. The Huevos Rancheros was served on a fried tortilla, not hot, soft tortillas. Not the first time I have had it like this, but it was a bit of surprise. Nothing was hot, but everything was warm. It was getting really busy, I am not sure if our food sat for a bit, it was not like it was under a heat lamp. But it was still good. It was a good amount of food. We got an oatmeal/chocolate chip cookie for dessert. It was maybe the best part. Soft and gooey, not crisp and dry. I would definitely like to try some of the other baked goods. The place is cute with old biking photos as well as bikes hanging on the walls and from the ceiling. The place gets packed. When we left, the line to order was maybe 10 people deep and there was a line forming outside. It seems very efficient. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves here. Good food, good environment, prices are not outrageous. Definitely a place to try again.

Loved this place, food was delish, fast service even though it was pretty full. I loved that once you are ready to order you can do it yourself at the front. Even tho we had no server the busboy/hostess were very attentive and polite .

Discovered this cafe was walking distance from an Airbnb while visiting LA. The owner & staff were very friendly, food was delicious! The potatoes were very crispy- some of the best ever! Our family ordered many different items off the menu and enjoyed everything. Went back two days in a row- and bought extra muffins for our third day to eat in the car! One of the best breakfast restaurants I’ve ever been to. Also- very cool decor and ambiance.

Brite Spot is a popular diner located in Echo Park, known for its breakfast and lunch options, including vegan dishes and homemade desserts. The restaurant has a retro vibe with shiny red booths, an angular wooden counter, and Mid-Century modern decor. The aqua-walled patio with orange chairs adds to the charm of the place. They are also famous for their collection of fresh-baked pies made on-site. Customers love the Meyer Lemon pancakes and the large juicy burgers served here.
Generally I do not like pancakes, but I thoroughly enjoy Brite Spot's every time I stop by. The decor of the restaurant makes customers feel cozy, along with the friendly, attentive staff and good food. I always have a good time here, and definitely recommend it (especially for breakfast).

Brite Spot is a historical diner on Sunset blvd in EchoPark area. Interior atmosphere is very cool, nice and relaxing. Indoor design is very chic and classy. I sat at the bar and its bar stools are comfortable and sturdy. Table is prefectly leveled in height. Outdoor seating faces Sunset blvd and of med-large in size. I ordered Breakfast burrito; it lacked some substance and taste. Also, I think it's too mushy and the cheese on top is not completely melted. But their coffee taste good. Menu prices are a little over priced in my opinion. Service was okay but needs to be improved. Staff are nice, attentive, friendly and competent. Parking is very small and has ~8 car maximum capacity. Metered street parking is available. Overall, I wasn't completely satisfied with my breakfast. Clearly I had high expectation for Brite Spot but was let down.

I like this place a lot, but it isn't without it's faults. Location is great, and the food is good but the eggs they just couldn't get right. Smacked on a street corner in Silver Lake surrounded by a lot of other great places, making this a perfect location. The restaurant is small and not too busy through the week when I went but guaranteed to fill up during busy brunch trips on the weekends. The food is an array of choices from vegan and vegetarian to somewhat vague renditions of southern faire. Unfortunately being from the south is a curse. The Southern Decadence came with a hard biscuit and plain gravy but the fried chicken breast had all the flavor. There was the Fried Green Tomato Benedict that, while good in theory, just didn't come through. Egg was over cooked and not runny, greens weren't what we expected and the biscuit was hard. On a different occasion I had the corned beef hash where again I was slightly disappointed. The hash was basically just sliced corn beef and home fries but it tasted SO good. Flavor won, but again the over medium eggs was cooked harder than hard. Possibly stick with sunnyside and see how it turns out? All in all I enjoyed it but it didn't knock my socks off. I'm sure I'll be back though.

INCREDIBLE and delicious food. Will come back every time I’m in LA. Just look at this avocado toast. Can you believe it? That’s goat cheese and bacon. It’s amazing. Service is slow but everyone that works there is so sweet it doesn’t even matter.

I've been coming here with my mother and brothers since I was a toddler. It's really sad that all my childhood memories are slowly being removed from Echo Park but I am really glad that Brite Spot has been able to remain open and still able to make fantastic dishes and pies for a reasonable price. I highly recommend getting tater tots instead of hash browns and grab a slice of pie on your way out. Also, chose to eat outside so you can people watch on Sunset. Support this classic eatery!

IHOP's pancake game is strong! We stopped by for brunch and ordered a few different flavors to share. The strawberry banana pancakes were a highlight - sweet, fruity, and fresh. The banana added a nice creamy texture, and the strawberries were perfectly ripe. The chocolate chocolate chip pancakes were also a hit - rich, decadent, and loaded with dark chocolate chips. The chocolate flavor was deep and indulgent, and the pancakes themselves were fluffy and light. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and helped us choose a few different options to try. The only reason I'm not giving IHOP 5 stars is that the prices were a bit higher than I expected. However, the quality of the food and service made up for it. Overall, IHOP is a great spot for pancake lovers, and their strawberry banana and chocolate chocolate chip flavors are must-trys. We'll definitely be back for more! The portions are generous, and the pancakes are worth every bite.

Met Her At A Bar is a charming cafe located at the intersection of Eighth and La Brea in the Mid-Wilshire neighborhood of Los Angeles. The cafe, owned by a couple who met at a bar in Los Angeles, offers an easygoing atmosphere and serves up delicious American breakfast and brunch options. Guests can enjoy Belgian waffles, sandwiches, wraps, and excellent coffee in a modern setting. The cafe has become a local favorite since its opening in 2017.
Really great brunch. The fried chicken is really tasty, and the batter is well seasoned. Chicken and waffles, chicken sando, and Thai omlette were all incredible. Solid cortado, too! Great vibes.

It was my birthday and had a taste for waffles. This place was a suggestion. The food was delicious. I had a snaffoo with the eggs, but the manager quickly took care of it for me. Overall, the food was great. The waffles were not hard and crunchy like some other places. They were soft easy to swallow and the steak was seasoned well. My guest liked his chicken ans waffles as well.

We stopped by Met Her at the Bar for brunch right after landing in Los Angeles, and it turned out to be one of the best starts to our trip! The place has such a charming vibe — bright, cozy, and full of great energy. The staff was friendly, engaging, and super welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. We ordered a fully vegetarian spread that included vegan waffles, granola oats, a bean wrap, mocha, and a hazelnut iced latte. Every single item was delicious — the vegan waffles were fluffy and perfectly sweet, the granola oats were fresh and wholesome, and the bean wrap was packed with flavor. Both drinks were excellent, especially the hazelnut iced latte, which was smooth and refreshing. Everything we tried tasted fresh and thoughtfully made, and the presentation was spot-on. It’s one of those brunch spots that feels both trendy and comforting at the same time. If you’re in LA and looking for a great brunch spot near the airport or around West LA, Met Her at the Bar is a must-visit. Must-try: Vegan Waffles & Hazelnut Iced Latte

The line can be long, so it’s a good idea to plan ahead or be prepared to wait for a bit. However, the wait is worth it because the food is incredibly good. This was my first time trying waffle steak, and it was delicious! The servers were attentive and kind, and the atmosphere was a lot of fun. I noticed that many people with great energy flock in this place.

I had a really nice Saturday morning breakfast. I arrived around 8:30 and was seated right away, which made for a relaxed start. I ordered the fried chicken and waffle, and it worked really well together. Good mix of sweet, savory, crunchy, and soft. The coffee came with refills, which was a great touch. Service was friendly and attentive, and I liked the floral, cozy feel of the interior. Overall, it’s an inviting spot that works just as well for visitors as it does for regulars.

Good breakfast. Had the Chilequiles with ribeye steak. The ribeye was cooked to perfection, but I've had better Chilequiles. My table mates reported all their food was good not great. Service was superb. Location, well, it's LA, so, typical LA.

We are from AZ and are here for the Haloween nights yearly vacation. Looked for good breakfast places, and came across this one. Highly recommend, the Chicken and Waffles is absolutely delicious and our server Megan was great. Just overall great restaurant.

Came for my 40th birthday while I was in town last week and had 3 friends who were all didn’t know each other meet me here. Couldn’t make a reservation, despite calling in advance even though I’m in a wheelchair which is the ONLY issue I had with the place. Usually establishments are able to make some exceptions for accessibility, and although I called and spoke to a staff person a couple days before, my party still had to withstand the nearly hour long wait for a Friday table. Im hindsight, should’ve asked for a manager who may have been more understanding.. All that was immediately forgotten once we got seated and experienced the awesomeness that is Met Her at a Bar. I automatically got why it’s such a hot spot. From the friendly wait staff to the light and airy space with amazing playlist on blast (almost a little too loud?), the vibes were on point. But the real star is the food here. We took the server’s suggestion and ordered the chicken and waffle dish and Thai omelette and oh boy, did they both deliver. I can’t remember what sauces they brought out, but I wanted to drink them all. Easily 10/10. We ended up not being rushed out at all which I guess is the point of this place. Wait forever but stay however long you want. I may get it now…

I really wanted to like this place, but my first visit left me disappointed. The food was okay—not bad, but not great either. The highlight for me was the coffee, which I actually enjoyed a lot. The atmosphere was just okay as well. There was a fly buzzing around our table, which was distracting. Since the door was left open, flies were coming in and out, and that was a little annoying. On top of that, the service was not great. Our food took about 50 minutes to come out, which feels too long for a café. By the time we finished eating, we still hadn’t received our coffee and had to remind the staff a couple of times before it finally came. Considering they weren’t that busy, this was frustrating and took away from the experience. Overall, I will not be going back and not worth it.

Best crepes! If you like seafood you must have the one with shrimp. One of the best I’ve ever eaten. It had red bell peppers and the sauce was exquisite. And it goes without saying that the Nutella crepe is a must have. Bonus: refilled my coffee!

I love the crepes here and the waiters are always sweet and kind!! downside: HOWEVER, I’m an avid coffee/espresso drinker and everytime I drink from here it tastes old as if the beans are not being kept fresh or as if the espresso machine isn’t being cleaned well. Please please may the owner do something about the quality of the espresso bc I love drinking lattes and cappuccinos with both my sweet and savory crepes <3

Waffle Love in Northridge is a popular spot with two locations and a food truck. They offer an array of delicious waffles, making it hard to choose just one. Favorites include the whipped cream-topped waffle, banana cream pie waffle with Nutella, and the 'Red Wonder' with strawberries and whipped cream. They also serve savory options like the breakfast sammy with eggs inside a cooked waffle.
Nice little waffle place! Place is very rustic and offers delicious waffles. I had the savoury grilled cheese with bisque and my wife had lemon custard. Both were amazing and I don’t think I’ll ever find anything like what we had today. Sorry my wife threw up outside the restaurant but in her defence she is pregnant.

I came here at the suggestion of my nephews girlfriend and I'm glad that I did! So many things on the menu looked good, I finally chose the Cinna Love. It was delicious. The service was fast and friendly, the dining area is rather small and can fill up quickly. Only a few people were there when we arrived but it filled up soon after, it was pretty much empty by the time we left. Everything looked clean, I would definitely come back!

Today I died and went to heaven. I had never heard of this place until earlier this week and upon gazing at their menu online I knew the internal fat girl just had to go and try this place out. I was truly not disappointed. My son ordered the chocolate filled banana cream pie waffle and I got the cinna love. Both were extremely delicious!!! The waffles were nice and soft, the cinna love tasted like a cinnamon bun on a waffle and the grilled cheese was heavenly (a very sweet gift from the wonderful lady at the cash register)!!!! The tomato soup had an interesting texture when eating on its own but paired perfectly with the waffle grilled cheese. The staff there were incredibly warm and kind, food came out quickly and was beyond the best thing I have put in my mouth this year. Thank you for a wonderful experience! I will absolutely be back!!!!!!

Great friendly service and an tastey Waffle. I will be back, and so will you after you try them. ENJOY Just returned to this little gem this morning. They were not busy when I stepped in, but I spoke too soon. They quickly got packed. Maybe its because of there delicious waffles, and menu items. I ordered the Red Robin, I think that what's it was named. But anyway it was very delicious 😋. The bacon was crispy not burnt. I will be going back to try some if their other amazing waffles, or Chicken.

The interior features colorful decor with white subway tiles, mismatched plates on the walls, and wood rafters with skylights creating a boho chic vibe.
It was awesome the food was great and it came out fast the matcha Latta was really good and the chocolate cappuccino was buteaful it was a cute little place for dessert (here's proof I went there) there was wifi, outdoor seating, plenty of foods and drinks you could choose from.

This place is super cute, has WiFi and plenty of seating for people needing to do work, and has plenty of vegan options for the coffee and food. But paying $8 for their Vegan Protein Latte is ridiculous.. especially when the protein powder they add to the coffee tastes like dirt and sits at the bottom of the cup. And opening hours being at 2pm.. for a coffee shop.. is a strange choice...
Rashaan P — Google review
I'm going to be honest and fair in my review. I'm giving it three stars solely for the decor and music. The churros don't taste fresh and are also overcooked. The owner should know 100% how the texture and flavor of his product should be, but I think he got to the point of quantity over quality. The house coffee doesn't give it a good taste because they added hot whole milk when they told me they would give me half and half. I hope your next visit is better than mine.
Jemal F — Google review
Happy Days Cafe is a delightful spot for a quick coffee break or a casual date, offering a charming ambiance that blends antique and modern decor. While it may not be ideal for remote work due to the lack of WiFi, it’s perfect for chatting with friends or enjoying a peaceful moment. The Horchata Latte is an intriguing choice, though the horchata flavors are subtle and might leave you wanting more of that signature cinnamon kick. However, their churros truly shine. The Guava filled churro and Dulce de leche churro are both delicious, each offering a sweet, satisfying bite. The cafe’s decor is a visual treat, with cute decorations and unique lighting creating a cozy atmosphere. You can choose between indoor and outdoor seating, making it a versatile spot depending on your mood. The service is quick and efficient, ensuring you’re never waiting too long for your treats. Overall, Happy Days Cafe is a lovely place to relax, enjoy a coffee, and indulge in some tasty churros.

Amazing gluten free dessert! They have gluten free and vegan options! I haven't had churros in such a lot time. Super cute ambiance inside. Staff is a little unfriendly but that's ok. Ive been twice and I have brought my friends too!

Come for the churro waffle. Stay for the cozy vibe. Though I wish they’d close the doors to make it a bit more warm and cozy. The churro waffle is what you want when it’s cold out. The cinnamon waffle is served warm with Nutella drizzled on top. A divine treat for a chilly evening. I enjoy this place as a late night spot. A great alternative to a bar.

This is a small, quaint shop that wasn't busy when I entered. The attendant was pleasant and I ordered two churros with two of the vegan filling options : guava and oreo. The churros are made to order and it took about 10 minutes for them to be ready. The fillings were good but I wish the churros were a bit more sturdy. One side was so flimsy that the filling came pouring out on both churros through the fillings were different consistencies. If I ordered again, I wonder if I could ask them to be fried a little longer/harder. There are also vegan ice cream options as well as non-vegan flavors for churros and ice cream.

If you want to beat the sweet tooth craving this is the spot. My favorite is the affogato, 2 espresso shots and vanilla soft serve ice cream. I also ordered the churro sampler, especially if you're not too sure what to order and want to try all the flavors. My go-to will be the Guava! It is a small tucked-away location that can be easily missed parking can be brutal but park in the structure on the left-hand side there are signs just read them.

Soul food restaurant
Comfort LA, located in the Arts District, is a popular spot for soul food lovers. The counter-service eatery offers delicious fried chicken, mac and cheese, greens, and cornbread. Their $10 dinner special includes expertly battered fried chicken wings with sides. The restaurant's late-night pop-up serves organic soul food made from locally-sourced ingredients and also operates a food truck for events.
Not only is this the best soul food I've ever had (and I'm from GA) it's the best food I've had in A really long time. Ignore the one bad review below. The flavors of everything were amazing. The chicken is wonderful and they throw down on the greens! They're my favorite. And the banana pudding lawwdd! I've ordered twice in a week and I'm not ashamed at all. Lol

Some of the best soul food in Los Angeles! The seasoning on the chicken is amazing and sweet. That sauce is super tasty. The fresh sorrel tea hits the spot. Super busy, order ahead if you don't want to wait. Great music performances in the back!

Some of the best Soul Food in Los Angeles. Food taste extremely fresh and made with love definitely. The greens have a hint of sweetness which is odd but satisfying. The Mac and cheese is CHEFS KISS!!!! Cornbread is a bit dry but still good af!!! The star of the show though is the hot sauce 😁 I mean my gawd how do they make it taste so sweetly spicy 😊

Can I get a refund for this food. My granddaughters recently went to your establishment and paid more than 45 dollars for food that we eventually gave to the homeless. The chicken wasn't crispy and everything was sweet. Literally everything was sweet. This was My first and last time coming to this establishment. Never again! P.s the hot sauce taste like sweet and sour sauce.

The Serving Spoon is a popular Southern food joint in Inglewood, serving heaping breakfast platters and daily specials like smothered oxtails and chittlins. The vintage wooden counter and red vinyl booths offer a cozy atmosphere for enjoying old-school French toast with fried chicken or combination breakfast plates. Open since 1983, this beloved diner satisfies cravings for soul food brunch in Los Angeles.
We arrived at the restaurant just five minutes before closing after driving over two hours and getting stuck in traffic. Despite the late hour, the owner welcomed us in with warmth and zero hesitation. The entire team from the servers to the cooks, was incredibly kind and accommodating. They treated us like valued guests, not an inconvenience, and made sure our experience was nothing short of phenomenal. The food was absolutely amazing, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I truly appreciate their hospitality and commitment to great service, even at the end of a long day. This kind of service is rare, and it left a lasting impression. I’m definitely coming back and recommending this place to everyone I know!

I caught them about 45 mins before closing, I was seated immediately. They have low counter seating as well as tables/booths. This place gives grandma / auntie’s cooking. It’s classic, vintage, old school. I tried the chicken wings, collard greens , and yams. The dinner meals come with cornbread. My chicken and yams were great. Collards were good but I felt could have had a tad more seasoning/flavor. I had a muddy water , on the east coast we call them an “uptown” which is a 1/2 iced tea & 1/2 lemonade. It was delicious. My cornbread was good also, I spread the butter and the honey that came with it. I’d definitely return when I’m in the area and recommend to anyone looking for a casual vibe and yummy food . The owner was also very nice, she walked through the restaurant smiling and checking on customers at the tables. Service was good! Thank you

I ordered a dish I wouldn't usually order! It was sooooooooooo good. Catfish with scrambled eggs, cheese, & onions, with southern potatoes & a biscuit. The catfish was so fresh, flake /crispy, & a good flavor. NOT FISHY!!! Yummy. My Best friend had the same but she had grits & toast & loved it. The Service was amazing. STAFF "ALL" We encountered were so pleasantly sweet. I would go there again. This place was packed. So you know the food is good!

The people were the best part of the experience. I love that even though the location is not the largest the enviroment was great and welcoming. My only issues were the overly loud music and that the food was not what I expected. The chicken was fried to hard and was dry on the inside but the flavor was there. I would go back just to try other items on the menu and to interact with the amazing staff again.

Amazing breakfast spot near my house. Been going for years and the food is consistently delicious. The place gets super packed and when they have only one server the service really suffers. The waffle and potatoes are one of a kind. It’s a five out of five for consistency through the years.

I stopped by The Serving Spoon, via Uber, prior to catching my return flight home. The parking lot was completely full, but wasn’t much a concern for me since I took an Uber but could be something for others to consider especially on weekends. I had luggage with me and the Security guard/ host politely placed my baggage in a locked office as there wasn’t much additional space for storage within the seating area. Didn’t take long before getting seated and being greeted by the waiter. After placing my order, it didn’t take long for my food to come out and it was served fresh and hot. I had the Big Spoon with a Waffle, eggs, bacon, homestyle potatoes, and grits. I topped this meal off with an Arnold Palmer (half tea, half lemonade). Everything was great! The aesthetics were deeply rooted in community showcasing pictures of various prominent black figures framed on the walls. The vibe was just right to have some friendly conversations. Didn’t feel the need to compete with surrounding noise. It was everything that you would expect of a small family diner. I would definitely visit again when visiting LA!

I stumbled across the place looking for breakfast spots close to my hotel. I was not disappointed. The food was bussing. That fried snapper was AMAZING! I see why there was a wait outside. Our waitress was cool, everyone in there had smiles on their faces. Definitely will be coming back

Made a quick stop at this gem on our way to a tour of SoFi Asked the waiter if he could rush our breakfast because we were running late. I got chicken wings, French toast, a biscuit and grits. My wife and daughter shared a Big Spoon with bacon eggs and pancakes. Everything came out super fast and the food was delicious. Fried chicken was crispy and cooked perfectly and the French toast and grits were really good. I wish I could get something close to this back in new york Id totally come back here again!

Established in 1975 by Herb Hudson, this quick-eat restaurant has become a favorite among celebrities and is widely recognized in pop culture. The casual space offers a clean and well-organized environment, with attentive staff providing quick service.
Absolutely loved the chicken and waffles! The chicken was fresh and moist. I also ordered the lemonade iced tea and that was so refreshing. Hot sauces were perfect too, they had flavor and enough heat. My favorite sauces from left to right as seen in picture. Spent about $20 each person not bad because although it doesn’t look it, food was very filling.

Roscoe’s on Manchester did not disappoint! I had the fried chicken with greens, mac n cheese, and cornbread—everything was seasoned just right and full of flavor. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, and the sides tasted homemade, especially the greens. My friend had the chicken and waffles and loved the sweet and savory combo. The service was super friendly and made us feel right at home. Definitely a solid spot for comfort food when you’re in LA.

The chicken was juicy and packed with flavor, and the waffles were cooked perfectly. Combined, they made an unforgettable meal. Honestly, this is the best chicken and waffles I have ever tasted!

Food was phenomenal, I got the omelette filled with chicken and it was awesome! The waffles were top notch and tastes amazing, the chili was also very good as well as the chicken perfectly crispy and juicy, even the hot sauces they had were bomb! First time coming here and it won’t be my last. Service was great and the atmosphere was super chill with old school music playing in the background, highly recommended 👍

The chicken came out hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious! My husband couldn’t stop raving about the waffles—he said they were some of the best he’s ever had. The service was excellent, and the vibe was on point with great music. We came all the way from Houston to California to see what the hype was about, and let me tell you… the hype is real!

First of all the service was good. The ladies working there are very nice. I’m only unhappy with the value of my meal. I spent $70 on two entres and two drinks. I was shook. My partner and I make above average salary and this was too much for us. The chicken and waffles are good but not life changing. Mac and cheese very bad. I’m glad I tried it but there’s no reason to go back for those prices. I really wish the best for this family owned business. Tip your servers!

Delicious fried chicken, waffles and sweet syrup. I'm picky about fried chicken, but this was great. Their French fries are excellent, lightly crispy, still soft inside. And I feel safe in the restaurant with 20+ security cameras and a guard near the entrance.
Michael L — Google review
The food is good it's just not as good as I remember growing up in LA. However, I got the Oscar with 3 wings. The sunset drink and it's non alcoholic. The yams were amazing. The syrup was really hot which melted the butter onto the waffles. I could eat the waffles all day. The chicken was alright to me. It was my kids first time here and they enjoyed it as well. I didn't eat any of the sauces but these are the options

Dulan's On Crenshaw is a laid-back spot serving up classic Southern and soul food with all the fixings. The fried chicken is not greasy, and the baked chicken is equally delicious. Despite a slow-moving line, the service is impeccable, with friendly staff providing great attention to detail. The interior is clean and well-kept, offering a pleasant dining experience.
This was our first time coming to Dulan's. Customer services were great from beginning to end. There was a gentleman that greeted us & let us know the ordering & serving process. If we needed something, someone got it right away. The food was DELICIOUS & generous. Great options to choose from. One of the ladies took pictures for us before we left. The gentleman even walked us to our car that was up the street & around the corner. I hope that I am able to visit this establishment again soon.

This is a special family friendly restaurant, with kind people and fantastic food. Staff treated us like valued customers, almost like family. It's been a while since we've had that kind of experience. The food was top-notch with very generous helpings. My favorite was the fried chicken, so crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I told my wife I'm probably never going to eat her chicken again after having some of the Dulans chicken! Don't sleep on the sides though, especially the collard greens and the string beans.

Sadly in our $54.00 delivery order on May 24th, 2025, we received dry Mac and Cheese with several burnt crust shavings from the bottom of the pan in our side dish. The peach cobbler was not fully baked, the crust was white, and doughy and it was completely unbaked. The okra, tomatoes and corn side dish was not as described. It was made using canned tomatoes, canned kernel corn and frozen okra, not at all home cooked food, very undesirable. Lastly, the half fried chicken was fried in dirty oil and very dark and it was soggy. Once the thigh was cut, there was blood leaking from it due to it not being fully fried properly. I hate to report this but Mr. Christian Ferrell, the General Manager, sent me a text and email stating that he would refund our full check. I was surprised and grateful for this level of customer service care that I certainly didn't expect but I knew Mr. Ferrell was being fair. This made all the difference until 12 days later, NO REFUND. I HOPE.THIS WAS AN OVERSIGHT AND NOT AN ATTEMPT TO DEFRAUD US WITH UNFILLED PROMISES OF A REFUND. I'd hate for this matter to be escalated to the Courts. Awaiting the fulfillment of Mr. Ferrell's professional promise. Kth

A couple weeks ago my best friend and I were craving soul food. We decided to check Dulan’s out. The food was as good as it looks in the picture. I got fish, sweet potatoes, and mac and cheese. All I have left to say is WOW! (Oh and the service was great). We will definitely be back soon.

Well, I must start off by saying we were welcomed by an awesome friendly staff with a huge warm welcome and big smiles.. It took us a bit to read over the menu because everything looked so tempting. We decided on the fried chicken dinner and that was so yummy. The batter was crispy & NOT overly fried. I cannot even explain how delicious the chicken was. It came w 4 sides and 6 cornbread muffins. We decided on the Mac n cheese, collard greens, string beans & some mashed potatoes. The Mac n cheese is great, cheesy and cooked to perfection, the greens, string beans and mashed potatoes definitely hit the spot!! The cornbread was awesome & then we tasted some of the best sweet tea & lemonade we have ever tasted. Sweetened to perfection. We also got to sample some of the meatloaf, because like I started off....everything looked great and we couldn't decide. The meatloaf was 10/10, so juicy & the meat was tender and just fell apart in my mouth. This is a great place to dine in, the restaurant was clean, wait staff was friendly and it had just had a nice, homey-cozy atmosphere. With some soft music playing. Should we ever find ourselves back in California, we will definitely go back and try something different. My only regret was being so full that I didn't take any dessert back to the hotel for a late night snack. This restaurant is definitely one on my all time favorites!! Thanks again guys!! Job well done. Suzanne from Texas!!!

Ordered through Doordash and BABY THIS FOOD SO GOOD!!! Feel like my grandma made it! I've been a huge fan of Dulans for years and they never disappoint. My only complaint is the entrees only have 2 sides. Their sides are all so good its too hard to decide. Everything pairs perfectly together. Their portions have always been huge! I love how the food isn't over seasoned or salty. I'm glad this business is continuing to thrive and provide great food. Mr Dulan left a beautiful legacy 🙏🏾

Barbecue restaurant
Gus's BBQ in South Pasadena has been a beloved family-friendly spot since 1946, serving up slow-cooked BBQ classics over pecan logs. Located on historic Route 66, the menu is filled with traditional Southern dishes like Memphis baby back ribs and pulled pork tostadas. The restaurant also offers an impressive selection of whiskies, wines, cocktails, and local craft beers.
Old school vibes but well kept and clean. Our server Phillip N is great. Food wise, ribs and smoked sausages are tender and juicy, hot chicken is also flavorful, all the sides are good. The only thing is the brisket is kinda dry. But overall the experience was great and good value for money. Highly recommended.
Van B — Google review
If you’re craving real Southern-style barbecue in the LA area, Gus’s BBQ in Pasadena hits the spot. This place has been around for years, and it shows in all the right ways. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and just rustic enough to feel authentic without trying too hard. Whether you’re there for brunch, lunch, or dinner, the vibe is always inviting and relaxed. Let’s get to the food: it’s legit. The brisket is tender and smoky with that perfect bark on the outside—exactly how you want it. The pulled pork is juicy and full of flavor, and the ribs? Fall-off-the-bone and packed with that deep, slow-cooked taste. They really know how to do low and slow here. Portions are generous, too, so come hungry. One thing that really stood out for me was the variety of sauces—sweet, spicy, tangy—they let you customize the experience without overdoing it. You can tell they take pride in their recipes. Also, the sides aren’t just an afterthought like in some BBQ spots. The mac and cheese is creamy and rich, the baked beans have that smoky-sweet punch, and the cornbread? Soft, buttery, and served warm. They also have great drink options—a full bar with solid cocktails and a decent beer list. The bourbon peach sweet tea was a standout. Perfect for a summer afternoon. Service was friendly and efficient. Our server knew the menu well and gave us good recommendations without rushing us. Even on a busy night, everything came out on time and hot. ⸻ Gus’s BBQ is a Pasadena staple for a reason. Solid barbecue, awesome sides, great service, and an atmosphere that feels both cozy and classic. Whether you’re a BBQ purist or just want a good meal with friends or family, it delivers every time. Definitely worth the drive if you’re coming from elsewhere in LA

Absolutely wonderful BBQ restaurant that combines delicious food, southern hospitality, and a love for what they do. The ribs are cooked to perfection and fall off the bones, delicious even without any sauce. The kitchen is so efficient and the food comes out quickly. They have 2 toes of ribs and ordering a full rack of ribs lets you do half and half. Very friendly staff and plenty of seats inside.

Had such a great time at this BBQ spot! The brisket was flavorful, the ribs were tender, the mac & cheese was creamy and delicious, and that Kansas City spicy sauce was next level. Finished it off with some amazing butter cake and ice cream—perfect ending to a delicious meal! Also a plus is they have free parking just next to the restaurant.

Gus’s BBQ is definitely going on my list of favorite spots in Pasadena! The service was amazing , our server recommended the cornbread as an appetizer and it did not disappoint. So flavorful and gluten-free! We ordered the chicken and two meats combo, and let me just say… the chicken was cooked to perfection. The house made blueberry mint lemonade was super refreshing and the perfect touch to an incredible meal. Highly recommend!

First time here everything was good but not much better than most BBQ. Large portions and a good ceasar. In fact that was the highlight. Large 23oz beer was worth the extra cost. We had the ribs plus 2 meats and it was more than we could both split. Children's portion was also substantial. No problem parking but not an abundance. Make sure you get a reservation. I'm told the wait can be long

We could not get enough of staying here - totally ready to move in! Loved how the rooms were above the gym so it was just a quick elevator ride to start the day with a workout. The layout of the track, pool, basketball courts and weights all gave a private yet community feel to working out. The locker rooms, spa/sauna/steam/cold plunge was amazing! And even though we don't live in the area, the staff and even regular members were so welcoming and nice. The sleeping room was wonderful and the decor and history made it such a wonderful and restful stay. The bar and restaurant were excellent and there was live jazz one evening as well. Truly, we cannot wait to return!

We weren't sure how our experience would be upon driving to the hotel. LA really needs to figure out how to take care of their unhoused population. But once we entered the hotel, it was like a sanctuary. Everything was clean, awesome vibes, the staff was all so friendly. Bartender Sierra was so nice. We enjoyed that nothing seemed off limits. We were encouraged by everyone to explore the hotel and all the facilities. We will definitely stay again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Long Overdue Thank You to LA Athletic Club (Feb 10–12, 2025) I stayed at the Los Angeles Athletic Club in February while attending an International Association of Firefighters event, and I’ve been meaning to write this review ever since, especially after being reminded today of just how exceptional the service is. From the moment we arrived, the hotel felt like a beautifully preserved time capsule. The décor, the vintage atmosphere, and the old-school charm of the rooms transported me back 100 years to a classic, golden-era Los Angeles. The gym and pool are top-tier, seriously one of the best athletic facilities I’ve seen in any hotel. But what really stood out, and what prompted me to finally write this review, was the extraordinary service, especially from Melissa. She was professional, courteous, funny, and genuinely made us feel like VIPs. She went above and beyond during our stay, and months later, when I called to track down a receipt, Melissa was once again incredibly helpful and kind. Her consistency and positive energy are rare and worth celebrating. This place isn’t just a hotel, it’s an experience. Can’t wait to come back.

Nice hotel located down town LA. Spent a couple of nights here on my trip to US. The rooms were nice and clean. Old stylish, but cool. Got a boutique wibe to it. Would say that you need to be aware that they charge you an extra 40$/per night on top for a membership to the club. Even if you don’t use their training facilities or services, this needs to be paid. The parking is also 40$/per night if you opt to park your car in their garage. The parking price was not mentioned when I checked in, but showed up on my final bill. Nice and friendly staff. Nice enough to compensate me for 1 day parking I didn’t use. Would recommend this Hotel if you’re into training and don’t mind paying a bit extra to use their training facilities.
Gaute S — Google review
The hotel has a lot of charm and historic fare all around, but it is quite old in the rooms reflect that. Many of the fixtures in the restrooms and showers are old and not fully fixed to the walls. They look and feel like very old apartments. The fitness facilities looked very nice and we tried one of the restaurants and had a good meal even though the coffee was pretty bad. The staff is very friendly and professional and open to help you out how they can. Getting in and out of the hotel was tricky as one entrance is closed at night to prevent homeless persons from walking in so you have to go around through an entrance in the parking garage and I got a little confusing one night as the instructions were not detailed when we were told to go around.
Pablo O — Google review
Worse experience ever I check in Sunday when I got there seem to me the employees where more focus on closing early than really focus on the guest the fee for that room was charge on August 14 on my credit card when I got there on the 31 they ask me for my credit card so they can charge $100 deposit and when I call asking for my deposit they say I will only get $60because of there was a destination fee but after I ask why if the hotel room was pay 16 days before they change that to a parking lot feel. Well not only that. Room service worse thing ever place an order thru and after 20 minutes they send me a text they. Couldn’t process my order so I have to go my self internet service down not even at motel 6 you get this service I will never go back to this place not even with a discount

This place was the coolest. The building itself is a destination. We spent over an hour just exploring the historic floors and amenities. Nestled in Mid City, 2 Cents LA is a trendy eatery exuding a rustic-chic ambiance. Chef Alisa Reynolds, known for her innovative approach to Southern-style cuisine, gained recognition during the pandemic with her Tacos Negros project.
We had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent! It was fresh and you could tell that it was prepared with love. The chef came out with warm greetings. I had the fish with sweet potatoes, and my husband had the oxtail tacos. We also had a serving of mac and cheese. We left feeling satisfied. We will definitely return.

Wow. Wow. Wow. Easily a 10/10 food and service. I came in near closing and am so glad I did! Walked up to the staff lovin on the exterior and cleaning up. Greated with a friendly welcome by ALL staff. The menu is diverse, but short enough not to overwhelm. . . Everything looked delish Ordered the spring rolls with chicken and greens (see photo). They were large, juicy on the inside/crunchy on the outside and flavorful throughout. Can't wait to come back for oxtail tacos and more goodies. Thank you guys for blessing my day and my belly.

I take everyone here. Friends Family, folks visiting. Food is always quality, staff is always friendly. Chef is lovely. If I lived closer I’d have the catfish everyday. Breakfast burger on pretzels bread? My favorite

The plates aren’t too big but the food is extremely flavorful and definitely worth a try. The mac and cheese was by far favorite dish!

I came in for Sunday brunch and sat outside, which was lovely. I had my dog with me (in her stroller) and the staff was sweet and attentive giving her treats and extra water. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The food came out at an excellent temperature and tasted amazing. Despite the staff shortage due to the protests, staff worked hard to maintain a sweet atmosphere. I was seated close to the table next to me and even made friends. M2C is def a vibe and I’ll be making this a regular go to!

My 2 Cents is just down the road from our AirBnB and we were drawn to the wonderful smell of food wafting while we walked by. Finally had a chance to actually try the food and we all loved it. They have a few vegan options and I tried the Plantain and Callaloo Tacos (sweet and savory), Sweet Potato Crumble (just mouth watering) and Braised Greens (simple, exactly as I like them), all really good!! My friends had the Shrimp and Grits as well as the Fried Green Tomatoes, and they couldn’t stop raving about them. Took home some Sweet Potato Pie and it was soooooo tasty and filling! Good music was playing and while not a fine dining place it’s cute and has a great vibe. Staff were wonderful too, definitely going to go back for more more more!

We had high expectations for this place based on reviews and we love supporting small restaurant but unfortunately our experience was disappointing and less than desirable. We went for brunch. We had a questions regarding the brunch menu unfortunately, the girl taking the order doesn't actually pay attention or answer questions being posed by the customer despite repeating the question 3 different ways. I still wasn't sure what my orde included...hence what I received was disappointing since I thought I was getting the plate order. My husband ordered the fried chicken based on her recommendation, unfortunately that was also wrong since we got the grilled or BBQ chicken instead and not the Fried chicken. Chicken was very dry and absolutely not worth it. We believed that all the food was prepared way in advanced and just reheated so nothing was cooked to order or freshly made. The eggs were dry and yolk completely hardened from sitting for hours before they were served. See picture. The day we were there, they were playing some kind of strange Korean music and it was so hot inside the restaurant, it was uncomfortable. The exactly a great dinning atmosphere or dinning experience.

Small interior, mixed with some great innovative dishes. The ‘Soul spring rolls’ are the most innovative soul food dish I’ve had, surprised I haven’t seen it before. We ordered the check in with collard greens that comes with a barbecue sauce for dipping - wow. Macaroni - The macaroni and cheese is a brown rice penne pasta, which on its own I would think is very good, but to pay $13 for that size I think is a little ridiculous. I think our particular dish didn’t have many whole pieces of penne, they were all broken up- kind of like the end of a bowl where it’s all scraps and then put into macaroni… Which, if that was the point, then OK, but it seemed like a miss– still very good, but the size and the broken pieces of pasta left me hoping for more. Catfish - We ordered the fried catfish, with a side of sweet potato yams, both great. The way they bread the fish, grainy thin and crispy. Yum. Strawberry Cake - We got the strawberry cake to go, it was way too sweet for me but the others liked it.

Bon Vivant Market & Café is a delightful spot that perfectly captures the essence of a cozy gathering place. This vibrant café offers an enticing menu featuring brunch, lunch, and dinner options alongside a tempting selection of cheese and charcuterie. The breakfast items are particularly noteworthy, with standout dishes like their chicken and waffles that evoke nostalgic county fair vibes—think fluffy waffles dusted with confectioners sugar and drizzled with maple syrup infused with bacon.
SO MUCH FLAVOR AND TEXTURES! The food here was amazingly delicious! The decor was pleasant and the staff was nice. I definitely want to come back to try more food. The fish and chicken were cooked perfectly.

This coffee shop offers a truly exceptional experience, standing out as a state-of-the-art venue and a genuine open art gallery. The curated collection of antiques and impressive art pieces creates a unique and visually captivating atmosphere. The rustic and industrial design aesthetic flows seamlessly through both the indoor space and the inviting outdoor patio, complete with complimentary Wi-Fi internet access. The ambiance is further enhanced by thoughtfully chosen music, large screens for sports enthusiasts, and a warm, inviting lighting scheme. Beyond the captivating environment and connectivity, the menu boasts a delightful variety of options. I especially indulged in their Greek salad, and the Golden Turmeric Ginger drink, a unique and memorable offering, highlights the shop's commitment to providing distinctive choices. It's a place where art, design, convenience, and delicious offerings converge to create a truly memorable visit

We came to hang out in a more cozy environment. This place has outdoor seating and an open area with couches that connects to the inside seating and a bar. We stayed all day. Started with lattes, then got food, which was really tasty, and moved to the bar for drinks and fries. The staff is really friendly and we'll definitely be back. Street parking can be a little challenging, but it's worth the trouble.

Tried the Harvest Green Grill, mac and cheese, Impossible burger, and crispy Brussels sprouts—and the Brussels sprouts definitely stole the show for me. The ambiance was vibrant and energetic, making it a great spot to spend a chilly, gloomy day. The outdoor heaters were a nice touch, keeping things cozy!

French dip came out soggy, over-salted, and tasting like a hot dog for $25 Big open ceilings echoing the kitchen sounds out to communal seating Run don’t walk (away from here) Service staff is nice, they seem fine, but seem either undertrained or that they know it sucks (no attention to detail) Couldn’t finish it, made me gag

Chicken restaurant
Restaurant
Sweet Chick is a trendy spot known for its gourmet chicken and waffles, making it a go-to destination for down-home Southern comfort food with a modern twist. Despite the initial hype surrounding its ownership by rapper Nas, this restaurant has established itself as an affordable dining option on Fairfax. The menu features solid chicken and waffles along with an array of cocktail options. The spacious and casual ambiance makes it ideal for a quick dinner with friends or family.
If I could give a place 6 stars this would be it! There's so much to say about this establishment and I'll do my best giving it it's proper credit. In the age of masks and vaccinations, Sweet Chick made it very easy to avoid contact with their staff for safety concerns and I was grateful for this updated way of ordering. The way they do things here is by using a QR code to order, pay & tip all before receiving the food and all the host or server does is bring the food and beverages. There's no need for frequent contact with the server, and this made me feel safer even though I'm vaccinated, it was the thought of a collective safety that made this experience that much better. Now what I ordered was the Crispy Chicken Salad (LA) and a Ginger Ale beverage. The salad was well plated and presented very well. The clash of arugula with the fried chicken, acidity of the tomatoes and the cool ranch dressing far exceeded my expectations. I felt as though the salad occupied its own space in the salad archives. To top it all off the avocados were drizzled with a coarse salt that made them pop with flavor. I was a bit skeptical about ordering the salad at a place where the chicken sandwiches and waffles are among the more popular items but its safe to say I'll be ordering the Crispy Chicken Salad (LA) each time I visit Sweet Chick. Bravo!

Overall, this place was really good. It's a good size restaurant with a nice vibe. I loved the music. I didn't want to leave so I could listen to more. Service was great. We had the chicken wings, mac and cheese, blueberry muffin waffle, chicken and waffle, crispy fish sandwich with fries, 3 piece bone-in crispy chicken and the chiquilale (I probably spelled it wrong). It was a good selection of food. The chicken and waffle was probably the best. My son got it with the honey chipotle sauce. The chiquilale was really good too. The crispy fish sandwich was so fresh and a good size. My bone-in chicken was good. The pieces were really big. More for 2 people to share. I was disappointed in the Mac and cheese. It had no taste at all. The wings were underwhelming and very small for the price. In any case, I would definitely come back to try more dishes. The spicy honey butter biscuit sounds good.

If you’re new here: like us, take a moment to check out the specials written on the chalkboard easel. All the sides we tried here were amazing. Mac n cheese were shell noodles, the brussel spouts were delicious, hush puppies were cool, slaw was on point. The drinks were great too! They were able to create a 3 piece boneless chicken strips and waffle fries for the kiddo. I mightve ordered more if the person on register told me more about the dishes or asked what I liked. I told her it was our first time. Its definitely worth it.

Loved this chicken spot. The Honey Garlic chicken is something you can't get anywhere else and is delicious. Their Brussels sprouts were surprisingly some of the best we've had. It has been a trendy menu item for the past few years and we had been getting tired of them, but sweet chick did them right. Thought the jalapeno hush puppies could use a bit more flavor and the regular waffle had a hint of citrus in it, which wasn't my thing, but loved the bacon cheddar waffle. Would definitely go back.
Connie R — Google review
I had the Chicken with the Blueberry Muffin Waffles! It was absolutely delicious! The balance of sweet with fresh blueberries in the waffles and within the cinnamon muffin crumble with lemon glaze- was a delightful surprise! They even do special orders, my daughter had the Spicy Honey Chicken to accompany her chicken and waffles- woah! That spice was on point. It did not overpower the natural, subtly seasoned flavors in the fried chicken. This was a definite plus on our radar of good joints in LA! Definitely worth visiting again! #support! Returned today 1213/21 and the seasonal pumpkin pie waffles were amazing!! I could not finish my serving. They include fresh chunks of pumpkin pie pieces. The flavor is remarkable, it provides sufficient sweetness to the waffles so that you do not require syrup. I am not a pie eater, but this entrée was delicious!

I’ve been here 5-6 times. It’s a good place to eat after shopping in the area. In general food is really good, I love waffles and Mac&cheese, but half of the times chicken came overcooked and the portions size also vary. Not a bad experience, but they can do much better.
Mary M — Google review
I really loved the fried chicken and waffles. The waffles are a little sweet and are extra good with the chicken. The Fry's are tasty but they are a little oily but besides that they are good. They give you three home made butters that are all great with the waffles. There fake chicken was super realistic and yummy as well. The skin on the chicken is super crunchy and flavorful. Great place for a brunch. Their music is extremely loud making it quite distracting from the dining expirence. Nice servers no wait to get seated.

We stumbled upon this place looking for somewhere to go for my cousins birthday. I must say that this place exceeded any expectations I've ever had for chicken and waffles. It not just eating but one of this restaurants when you are having a "dining experience." Plain and simple everything was delicious. We got the crawfish hush puppies with this wonderful spicy jelly. Fried chicken sliders and bacon cheddar waffles. They key here is that they give you a variety of butters shown above that take your palate to a new level. My cousin ordered an alcoholic beverage and said it was good but didn't match the flavor profile of her food. There are so many more options to explore. Excellent place to have dinner!

The menu also features petite waffle sticks and ice cream sandwiches made with two circular Belgian waffles.
Ice cream was amazing. The waffles were dependant on your style. I really liked the soft and fluffy bubble one and my fiance loved the harder outer shell regular waffle. The girl was really helpful and patient with us. Will go again.

Delicious ice cream! Worth the Lactaid pills! We had a cup of Ube, strawberry on a sugar cone and two signature waffles in our order. Service was slow but she’s one person! She took her time, made the waffles fresh and everything was perfect. We sat upstairs to eat and it was chilly! Doubt I’d return because I’m not local but it was worth the parking hunt!

The custom bubble waffle that I received today and last night was so good and it was made to perfection! And I think its bc the management changed and the employees actually can make the orders right!! I ordere the bubble Waffle with salted caramel ice cream, nutella sauce, caramel sauce, brownie topping, and Whipped cream and powdered sugar!! I am in love!! 😍😍🥰🥰🥰 The only thing was that there were fruit flies swarming around the topping containers :(, BIG TURN OFF!!!!! Fix that and it's perfect!!!!

The strawberries were very fresh and the waffles were crispy and good. The size was small but it's not a bad place to go to if you're looking for a sweet snack

The place is great. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I would like to see more ice cream options and they were out of the waffle sticks which I went there to try. But, the puffed waffle cone was very good too. The atmosphere is very fun and good place to go with friends or a small family outing. Not very much seating so large groups should anticipate taking theirs to go.

Okay. First of all: let me just say the ice cream was delicious. Seriously. Sooo good! But the service took FOREVER. three stars for this reason. I went with a group of friends and someone got in line ahead of me. No big deal. These people took forever to order. Fine. My turn came. I ordered 2 items. And a huge party ordered after me. My friends got their orders and so did the person ahead of me. Then a line appeared and they stopped filling orders for a good amount of time. Now I'm annoyed but fine. I work retail, I get it. When they finally started making waffle cones again, I pearked up. But they filled the order for the party behind me. Atleast five items. Now I'm upset. By the time I got my order, my friends all finished theirs. This is terrible. There are plenty of places that sell great ice cream and are way speedier. I'd rather go there.

UPDATE 2/19 - still no response from the company. I've emailed the company twice, called the store multiple times on different days, and left this review. I've come here many times and love the desserts, but we had a bad experience and customer service has done nothing to fix it. We ordered a kids bubble waffle with ice cream, whipped cream, and brownies which cost $7. I added a $2 tip since I know they are busy and not many people tip. We ordered online for pick up. When we picked up the order the bag was stapled shut so we took it home, and upon opening it there was just half a waffle... nothing else. I immediately called the store and got no answer and there is no voice-mail. I called 5 times with no answer. I emailed their customer service address that same night with the photo attached and asked for a refund. No response... I tried calling multiple times again the next day and no answer. I get that mistakes happen but I paid $9 for half a waffle and can't reach anyone for a refund. That's ridiculous. I'll update this review if they ever get back to me... until then, I'll take my business elsewhere.

Went for ice cream after a concert at the Wiltern. Did not disappoint! Waffles are freshly made on order, they’re soft which makes it different than a normal waffle cone, but the warm waffle pairs great with the ice cream. Place is chill and employees are cool. And they’re open late (midnight I think), in case you need another excuse to try em out!

Charming, funky & delightful! My husband was craving waffles so I found a list of 13 best waffles in LA. So happy we came to this one. We will be back many times! Cool spot I visit today with my girl after on my to-go list for a while. Was in between a 3 or 4 star based on food. Frankly I expected more from all the awesome reviews. Maybe it was my choice, but the chicken burrito literally taste like Amy's Original Organic frozen foods burritos. I couldn't describe it any better. It just was so basic and no taste. Needed some sauce or some juices inside. Other than that, the place was cool, the staff were friendly and I hope to one day be back for breakfast items. Not sure if I would though because of the mediocre brunch I had.

Came here a few weeks ago and it is such a cool spot. The interior is filled with art that is for sale and the table that we sat at had cool facts about inventors and people you might not know of their contributions. Their drinks and food were delicious. The only thing was that it took longer for us to get our order because initially they made my boyfriend's wrong. Hopefully it was just a fluke and next time I can up it to 5 stars.

Great little spot for breakfast or lunch. You can find street parking or park in the small lot behind the cafe. Mornings are busy! First, try to find an available table, then order at the counter. I ordered the Traditional breakfast with gourmet chicken sausage and a Green Tea Matcha. I don't usually like tea but it was surprisingly good. The cashier is very knowledgeable about the menu, and they make great suggestions. I'll be back to try their grass-fed burgers.

We hadn’t visited in over a year, and it was nice to see the place wasn’t crowded—perfect for a relaxed late breakfast. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Both dishes had great flavor, but my wife and I felt they could have used a sauce to bring everything together. Instead, it felt more like toppings placed on a waffle rather than a cohesive dish. They did offer a hot sauce or syrup, but I didn't want a bottle hot sauce and since it wasn’t maple syrup (employee said “syrup, not maple”), I assumed it was a cheap HFCS version and chose not to use it. The waffle itself had excellent flavor, but I would have appreciated a flavorful, non-spicy sauce option to complement it.

Their food and drinks are awesome! I love it and wish they would be considerate of the prices as it is a bit expensive. The portion is large and can be up to two people which is great! The waffles were fluffy and delicious! The Custard Berry was more of a dessert than breakfast. The Ricotta Berry was a more heartier because of the rich ricotta cheese. The waffles taste similar to the premade ones you’d find in the frozen section of a grocery store. However, I appreciated the presentation and the excellent customer service. Due to a system issue, my delivery was delayed by almost an hour, but they apologized and prepared fresh waffles for me. That level of care has convinced me to order from them again.

Placed order at kiosk and requested dark meat only. Order was immediately cancelled after paying for what I assumed was that I requested dark meat only. Placed second order without asking for all dark at it processed correctly. When notified to pick up my order I was told they were out regular chicken so they gave me all chicken tenders, which I'm not a fan of, and that's why they cancelled my first order. They wouldn't give me my money back and said I had to do it through the website. Anyway, frustrated, I took what they gave me and the chicken tenders were terribly dry, the waffles were very thin and tough, they didn't give me the honey butter, they gave me a huge order of french fries which I didn't want. Super unsatisfied and I probably won't go again. Sadly, though, I bet the fried chicken would've been great.

We wanted to celebrate Thanksgiving eve with some delicious fried chicken. So I asked my dear husband to surprise me with a delicious Thanksgiving eve meal. He came home with this giant bag filled with goodies. I opened the bag and it felt like Christmas. The jalapeño macaroni and cheese looked delicious, the waffle fries were crispy and flavorful and the grilled cheese pastrami sandwich looked amazing. Finally I pulled out the box at the bottom and opened it to find some fried chicken and waffles! The spicy Mac and cheese had a nice kick to it. I was worried that it would be too spicy at first, but was happy I went with the spicy version. The grilled cheese pastrami was delicious. Nice soft buttery bun, with soft melted cheese. The pastrami was a nice touch, and I loved how they weren’t shy on the portions. The fried chicken looked really good too, so I was eager to taste it. As soon as I bit into it, I heard that nice satisfying crunch! They did a fantastic job preparing the chicken and I absolutely loved the texture. They are located at the Grand Food Depot, and only offer takeout. I recommend eating the food as fast as you can so you can eat it while it’s still nice and crispy!

The churro waffle and lemon pepper waffle fries were the highlight. The regular waffle was kind of dry even with maple syrup. The chicken was so small actually felt guilty eating it. See pics. The 20% they add as tip is really unwarranted as you order online and they do not have to wait on you. I had to ask for napkins and they didn't give me ketchup. Our cost, tip included, $50 and change. Save your money go elsewhere.

I usually don’t take the time out for reviews, but this has to be seen and heard. I ordered the 4 pc special through Uber eats 3/01 around 11:30am, and was highly dissapointed. Every single piece of chicken was burned to a dry, hard, crisp. Completely inedible. It pained me to watch my daughter try to chew on the chicken. I expected the waffles to be cold(they were), since I ordered delivery, but the chicken was totally disrespectful. Knowing that someone consciously prepared that, and placed all 4 charred pieces into the box is infuriating. On top of the terrible experience, Uber won’t give me a refund. This will be my last time patronizing both Uber Eats and Monty’s.

Baldoria is a delightful communal eatery nestled in Little Tokyo, where the atmosphere is as inviting as the menu. This not-your-typical Japanese spot serves up finger-friendly delights like waffles stuffed with fried chicken, drizzled in syrup—an inventive twist that’s sure to please. Perfect for a laid-back evening with friends, Baldoria offers an array of $9 pizzas and enticing happy hour specials featuring 20% off drinks even on weekends!
Really chill vibe with comfy yet tasty food and drinks on the menu. We went for the pizza class that happens on selected Sundays, and had much fun. The course is easy for anyone to follow, and you get an opportunity to go into the commercial kitchen to see how it is done and make you own pie. Experience recommended!

Baldoria was a great find - perfect for a chill Saturday night with friends. They have $9 pizzas and 20% off drink during happy hour (even on Friday and Saturday). We enjoyed a few pizzas (margarita, Hot Mama, and Tokyo) along with the pear salad, roasted brussel sprouts and fried chicken jalepeño cornbread (which was pretty awesome). They make a solid Old Fashioned, although they weren't able to make a long island iced tea or anything with ginger beer. Definitely worth checking out.
Wayne J — Google review
The pizza is great and can't be beat at the happy hour rate, the cocktails are lovely, and the staff is very friendly. The bathroom is sanitary, but it's always in a state. Regardless, I'm becoming a regular.
Mrbadguysan — Google review
came here for happy hour on a Tuesday night. $8 happy hour pizzas and also 20% off beer, liquor, and wine! 3 tiny asian girls with big stomachs had 3 whole pizzas each: charred octopus (a bit on the salty side), lil tokyo steak (delicious flavors with arugula), and the shaved brussels as a "dessert" pizza because it had honey on top.
HaRi K — Google review
Had their chicken at a food festival this weekend. Donut chicken. 10/10 The chicken was super moist and the donut wasn’t overly sweet. Came with fresh strawberry.
Chris P — Google review
Very good drinks. Great selections Their pizzas are good and small. One hungry person can finish it.

Ardor, located at The West Hollywood Edition hotel, is a stunning restaurant led by Michelin-starred chef John Fraser. Known for its vegetable-centric cuisine using organic, hyperlocal produce, the menu features innovative dishes like raw cauliflower prepared like cacio e pepe pasta and Middle-Eastern-inspired tandoor carrots. In addition to vegetable options, there are also meat and seafood choices available.
Another great restaurant, tucked into The Edition hotel in West Hollywood, but with a few unique quirks. Valet parking with validation from the restaurant is $22 for three hours. The vibe is modern, chill, ultra-lounge, date night or dinner with friends, and with an abundance of plants and trees. The menu is American with some steakhouse influences. The staff were among the best I’ve had at any upscale restaurant in LA. The food was delicious, although we didn’t find any of the 4 desserts that exciting. When the check comes, it already includes an 18.5% gratuity, and it was clearly circled on the bill. Overall a great date night experience. However, I wouldn’t bring kids here - it’s neither the right vibe nor the right menu for kids.
Jeff H — Google review
Very elegant restaurant with great food good vibes and excellent service but whatever you order don’t miss the milk bread and the onion rings. Honestly every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. Also we had brought with us our one year old toddler and they were very welcoming and accommodating. would definitely recommend this place!
Nasser A — Google review
Dinner at Ardor, inside The Edition Hotel, was an experience wrapped in tropical elegance. The steak was tender, the potato side was delicate, and portion sizes were just right—not overwhelming, but thoughtfully composed. The space felt lush and modern, like an escape into nature with a luxury twist. And of course, I ended the evening with my favorite—an Espresso Martini. I’ll definitely return for the ambiance alone.
Uranus K — Google review
I was a bit underwhelmed with this restaurant. Very easy to get a reservation which was positive, staff was friendly but food was not over the top. Carrots were nice and the shrimps were good though a bit cold on arrival. The steak (10 ounce) was chewy and the mushrooms had way too much batter on them to be eaten. Broccoli was our side dish and the tahini sauce was very bitter - more of a vinegar base. Overall, it was a nice quick meal but I would not suggest you go out of your way.
Rose — Google review
The restaurant offered delicious food and a lively ambiance. However, the service was overly attentive, with the server repeatedly trying to upsell cocktails despite my glass being nearly full. Additionally, he dropped the knife twice while serving, which was a bit concerning. Overall, a mixed experience.
Fred T — Google review
Oh my good. This is was one of the most amazing meals I’ve had in a while! Every single thing was tiny explosions of flavor in my mouth. I started my meal with the tomato carpaccio which had a strawberry glaze. It was so good. Then I had the carrot tandoor that came on a hummus-like bed and these charred crunchy yet soft eggplant cubes that were so delicious. For my main course I have the sweet potato curry, that I could basically lick the curry of my plate because it was so good. And had the side of mushrooms which is a must-try. Honestly hands down one of the best vegan meals I’ve had in a while! Everything I ordered was vegan! Plant-based! I can’t wait to go again.

Had a lovely time here for anniversary dinner! great vibe, interior design, and service. We had a long dinner for dineLA with 3 courses, and they allowed us to take a break to go to the rooftop to see the sunset and come back as well to finish our last courses. had roasted carrots, tomato milk bun, and skirt steak, spanish octopus, lobster tagliatelle, and espresso chocolate cake. everything was delicious. service was impeccable. would definitely come back
David O — Google review
We came here this year again for celebrate birthday. Beautiful interior and exterior decoration with plants. Great place with tasty foods. The lamb chops is so delicious ever!! Yellowtail tuna tartare would be better with something crunchy with lettuce. The foods are so exceptional. The service is also good. The vibe is cozy and pleasant. We loved everything that we ordered. Definitely we will come back again!

Butcher shop
Organic food store
Restaurant
Belcampo Meat Co. is a butcher shop located in downtown LA that specializes in high-quality, grass-fed beef. The market has a variety of food options so it is great for groups. The outdoor seating makes it very COVID-19 friendly dining.
Great place to dine and of course get high quality meat! They're located in the Grand Central Market. They only have 5 bar seats though, so that's a challenge but people eat fast and move on. The burgers were great.
Noor A — Google review
I'm visiting LA so I may not be used to the prices here, but there was not that much food for the price. We paid $33 for lunch but I still feel hungry. The burger itself was good but the bun got soggy pretty quickly, and there were too many onions for me. The soda was okay, but as the ice melted it got really watered down. The fries were excellent, definitely the highlight for me! But if I came back to the market I would probably choose another eatery. Also they cut the meat right there which was a little much for me while I was eating, but I suppose some people would think that was cool.
Lizzie P — Google review
A good burger that is a bit pricey. Liked the fries quite a bit. Crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The counter is small and the food comes up fairly fast. Worth the look.
John O — Google review
They make the best veggie burger I've ever had, but if you're looking for meat (it does specialize in that after all), try the breakfast sandwich or cheeseburger.
Fiona G — Google review
Delicious! I went here on Thursday night for game night at Grand Central Marketing. Of course I had to stop by to get a grass fed burger, it was so good! My husband had the lamb burger which was also delicious. We ordered the beef tallow fries, they were so yummy! The burger was $12.50. So expect to spend a little money when you go, but it's worth it.
Bianca G — Google review
I ordered the chicken lettuce wrapped. I was sold on the tarragon aoli but all I could taste was onions and spicy mustard. The chicken breast was small and not very filling alone. Side order of sweet potato fries were good. Really enjoyed the ketchup. I’m not normally a ketchup on fries person especially on sweet potatoes but the slight kick with slight sweet was great. My mom got a double classic burger and had I read the reviews here prior to a random stop by I should have ordered the burger apparently. Side of slaw was more like onion slaw than coleslaw. Overall I would go back but felt $38 was pretty steep for what we ordered (no drinks)
J F — Google review
The "Belcampo Burger" is amazing. I ordered it with sweet potato fries. Those were really good too. I like that the ingredients tasted like advertised, "All natural, organic" and such. I paid $24.09 for the food you guys. :O Ugh, but it was good. I would say it's worth it for when you want to splurge or if you just don't care about spending money on a burger because you got it like that.
Jackie M — Google review
Real deal cheeseburgers. You can taste the quality of the meat. They are on the small side, so if you're hungry order two. Fries are fried in beef fat, seriously good. They have a gorgeous selection of meats and they have chorizo - excellent. They are pricey, but if you want quality, you will pay a premium. But seriously, this is hands down one of the best damn straight up cheeseburgers you'll ever have.

Coffee shop
Located in the lobby of Freehand Hotel in Downtown LA, Cafe Integral at Freehand Los Angeles offers a taste of Nicaragua with its emphasis on sustainability and ethically-sourced coffee. The cafe provides a haven for coffee enthusiasts to explore the rich history and culture behind each cup. With its classic ambiance featuring dark-stained wooden walls, modern lighting, and decorative plants, it's an ideal spot to start your day or enjoy a quiet atmosphere accompanied by soothing jazz music.
Vibey cafe with tasty coffee drinks and matcha. Comfortable seating, calm, quiet with soft lighting. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow at 10/3. Live music Wednesday nights in the same space under a different name.

Overpriced, rude staff, stop serving breakfast at 10:30am. Ridiculous! And they call themselves a 4 star hotel
Keren W — Google review
Avoid the salmon bagel. Took 15 minutes and wasn't even a bagel - the bread most closely resembles a fluffy hot dog bun and came in the shape of a U instead of an O. I'm not a bagel snob but this wasn't it.

Super planty and cute. Some of the seating was kinda uncomfortable, but the vibe was great

I got the yoghurt (12$, with fruits, granola, cacao nibs, and dates) and the daily brew (4$). The only good thing about it was that there are free refills for the daily brew. The yoghurt came in a to-go container (despite me sitting in the cafe to avoid waste) and it was rather small. There were only 3 raspberries and a few blueberries and also barely any dates or granola. So I pretty much paid 12$ for a maybe 12oz bucket of yoghurt. Way too overpriced and absolutely not worth it! The waiter is nice and service was good. However they disappeared for more than 30 minutes with no one at the counter. I saw people come in and wait only to leave again. Would be great if they had enough staff to have the counter running.
Fuchan — Google review
Yesterday the staff of Integral coffee were very friendly, but this morning the two ladies serving coffee made me feel so awful. They laughed at me and called my hair "disgusting" as I walked up to the counter. As I ordered, one of them quickly left. When we sat down on the sofa, my husband then noticed the other one turning around to take a selfie facing *outward* into the lobby, right where we were sitting. I was a guest of Freehand Hotel for two nights and really enjoyed the lobby before this moment.

Soul food restaurant
Willie Jane offers a modern take on Southern cuisine in a stylish setting with a lush outdoor patio and bar. The weekend brunch is highly recommended, featuring an array of delicious Southern dishes and attentive staff. The restaurant provides a comfortable and classy atmosphere, making it suitable for various occasions such as birthday celebrations or family meals. Guests can savor fantastic fried chicken, grits, and cocktails while enjoying the fresh produce sourced from the chef's garden nearby.
The weekend brunch is AMAZING! Great southern options, the staff is super gracious. Celebrated a birthday meal, two kids, three adults, and we ALL felt at home. The environment was comfortable and full of class. Definitely a must of you are a foodie in Los Angeles!

Biscuits are the best I have ever had. The right amount of crisp on the browned edges. Burnt Orange Butter fits nicely into all the nooks and crannies. They make a fantastic drink with corn whiskey. I cannot recall the name, but I can recall how delightful it tasted. Enjoy yourself on the open patio in the back. Look for Mila on Friday Nights / Saturday Mornings. A great waitress!
Joe D — Google review
This place validates parking for 2 hrs BUT the parking right next to their restaurant (in the back) does not except it. Instead it'll set you back another 9 dollars + tips. Walk, Uber or be prepared! The confusion alone = -1 star Now the food: Biscuits = amazing! 5 stars Chicken & waffles = OK. 3 stars. The chicken was not as crispy and the waffle was not crispy at all, more like a pancake. However there was nothing wrong with the taste and the side of coleslaw was tasty! Smoked Brisket hash = Good. 4 stars. It's not the best one I had but I could probably order it again! The Service & Ambience We got a boring table in the middle area. My company was looking straight at the wall. Other than that the place became nice as more ok arrived. In the evening the ambiance is probably a 5 star, in the daylight an overall 4 but a 3 from where we were sitting. Our table was REALLY wobbly but they fixed that quickly when we asked The waitress was friendly and helpful! The bottomless mimosas were refilled in a good way without us having to ask. That's a 5 star! We ordered a bottle of water and I had to stop the water guys twice to not refill our glass with tap even though our water bottle was right there on the table.
Linn L — Google review
Fantastic fried chicken, grits, and cocktails. Veggies and herbs come from the chef's garden next door. Great decor and lighting, and very friendly environment. Only been here for dinner, but I've heard their brunch is awesome as well.
Meaghan H — Google review
Delicious housemade authentically flaky biscuits, that could only be overshadowed by the knock-your-socks off housemade bacon jam! And to date, the JUICIEST fried chicken that came w big giant waffles drizzled in jalapeno maple sauce. The beignets were a bit too dense and yeasty for my taste but I will go back over and over until I have tasted everything on that menu - TWICE.
Barndi K — Google review
Great atmosphere, the bartenders are mixologists and they have a lot of unique cocktails and they add new ones all the time. The food is southern comfort style and I loved everything I've tried so far.
Noah P — Google review
AMBIENTE - 4 stars Dark, intimate, yet lively. You enter the dining room through a well designed (and equipped bar). Large room, couple of tables, open windows/ceiling. Wooden chairs and tables, definitely sets the mood for something special to come... FOOD - 4 stars ... which is, the food! Not cheap, and portions are not overly big, but everything our table tried was delicious and very creative. Highlights: PIMENTO CHEESEBURGER with Bacon Jam, Creole Mustard and Burnt Onions ($16 - gotta love the bacon jam!) GRILLED HANGER STEAK w/ Sunchoke Puree, Local Baby Broccoli and WJ House Steak Sauce ($28) FRIED BRUSSEL SPROUTS w/ Local Pears & Magic Peanuts ($7) JUST BAKED BISCUITS w/ Local Honey and Fresh Butter ($3 - super delicious!) Patrons rave about the fried chicken but we haven't tried it this time. DRINKS - 4 stars I would love to give 5 stars due to their creativity but the drinks seemed a bit too well balanced for my taste. Nevertheless, I'd always go for the JUNIPER BERRY COCKTAIL ($12) and the SCARLET O'HARA (Bourbon, Cherry Herring, blackberry beet sage shrub, Peychaud's bitters, $12). You'll find lots of bourbon-based drinks on their menu, which I like for a change. Service was attentive and friendly. Great vibe in that place - recommended if you're in the Abbot Kinney area.
Sebastian F — Google review
Over priced very average brunch. Salad for $14 includes the core of an iceberg lettuce head and is only enough to be an appetizer, ingredients used very sparsely. Farmers breakfast for $14 is very small amount of food and again very average. Not recommended.
